Easy and fast check in. Breakfast was hot and ready and the staff was very pleasant. We booked two rooms with points and my children feel like rock stars sharing their own room. Renovations are a big improvement to the look and feel of the property.
We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The pool was very cold. We were promised by the staff that this would be quickly fixed but that was not the case. This went on all weekend with them promising it would be fixed within 2 hours but by the time we left on Sunday, still nothing had been done. It would have been better if they had been honest from the beginning and said it wasn't going to be working all weekend. An email to management about the situation went unanswered which was very unprofessional. We were part of a group booking for speed skating and were actually snowed in the Sunday evening and couldn't return to our home provinces. No one from our club decided to return there to stay again for another night and instead choose the Wingate by Wyndham instead which was just down the road and so very much better. Highly recommend the Wingate and would never stay at this Best Western Plus again.
Once you have a grasp for how poorly the city of Moncton is laid out, this hotel is an incredible location. Close to all major routes to all this city has to offer. And close enough to walk to most of the major shopping and downtown. Route to hopewell, Fundy and casino/magic mountain are all near by too.
My wife and I stayed 3 nights. A welcoming receptionist checked my identity, processed my payment and provided our key cards. We took the lone elevator to the 3rd floor. Room 319 was carpeted and clean with 2 soft mattress queens and nice pillows. Nice sized TV with a good channel guide(Boston networks, CNN, PBS & 30 channels). Quick hot water, a medium sized fridge and Keurig coffee machine. Moderate wifi strength, new quiet low AC and opening window view over fields and trees. I used the nice 5 station gym and we both swam in the small cool indoor pool. The 6:30AM breakfast was excellent, serviced by 2 nice ladies; OJ, fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, french toast, bacon or sausage, bagels, cereals, toast with jam/peanut butter and an excellent coffee machine. On the negative side, our room needed a chair in addition to the desk chair and the shampoo/lotion were difficult to open. We walked 800m down to the WMT Supercenter which is connected to the 19 acre 128 store Champlain Mall. Overall, a great night's sleep in a convenient location.
I arrived in a bit of a hurry after driving over 1000kms. I was greeted by a very professional, friendly and understanding staff who addressed all my needs. Simple breakfast but very tasty and well presented
Hotel was good, location good, but access can be challenging at times, staff were friendly and were helpful at check in. Breakfast was good and had no issues there. WiFi was problematic and just gave up at the end of it. Second time at this location and would stay was much better than the last time. Staff much friendlier.
Pros: * Excellent breakfast, albeit small dining area. * Beds were comfortable * No charge for parking on site * No charge for cot Cons: * Stain on comforter with musty smell in the room. Upon further inspection, found numerous hairs in the sheets. Room change request was granted, though was met with a phone call from what I assume was the Manager stating, “So you are requesting a room change because the room is apparently dirty?” The clerk from the Desk observed the stain and hairs upon delivering the cot, so I did not appreciate this comment nor the tone in which it was delivered. * Shower did not drain while taking a shower. We had a lovely foot bath. * No discount was offered upon check out due to our inconvenience. In addition, my Visa had already been charged prior to check out. * No pool towels on site. Towels have to be retrieved from the front desk which is not informed to guests upon check-in. I am fortunate enough that my children are old enough to be left alone for me to go get towels, but for families with young children this would be an inconvenience. We won't be back.
Everything was as it should be, quick, friendly registration, my room was upgraded and I was provided with a couple of bottles of water. The hotel is located near to shopping and restaurants , easy to access and the hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable.
This is a pretty good hotel! we had a king bed with jetted tub which was nice and spacious clean room with fridge / microwave. It is also very centre
Staff should not be eating while serving you at the desk and then act like you're disturbing them as they eat!
Upon checking in we were given room 203. Minutes after arriving in the room, we found socks and underwear left in the closet on the floor! Obviously the room wasn't well cleaned! Went back to the front desk. They then moved us to 101 (with very little apology, I might add, we were definitely made to feel like we were a problem). 101 had mold at the back of the fridge, thick dust on the plug, fire alarm, fridge and headboards. This room was also not well cleaned! A quick dust of some surfaces and it was obviously declared done! We used Lysol wipes to clean the surfaces we would be using in our room! This is a true disgrace to the Best Western name. It doesn't meet the expectations one might expect from the company. After our stay we contacted customer service (we even had pictures from our rooms) and received no satisfaction. We do NOT recommend this property and will not be back! We have passed the info on to friends that frequently travel to Moncton for tournaments, like we do. There are many hotels in the area at the same price point, there are much better options. We will choose better next time even if it costs us a little more. Clean and comfortable is a must when staying in a hotel.
No service at all . Will never come here again. Stuff is don't care at all even when you qre with children. Will prefer another hotel for sure. I hope this will not impact on my impressions about Moncton . They just say we are doing our best and do nothing.
There was no one at the desk when I first arrived, and I waited at the front for 15+ minutes for a staff member to come to the desk to initially check in. When we began settling in we realized how disgusting the room was. The couch was incredibly ripped/torn/tattered/old and the chair had disgusting large stains. The bedsheets also had stains all over them, and the garbage in the bedroom still had items in it. We went down to speak with someone but again no one at the desk, and didn't want to wait for someone, so we sucked it up and stayed in the disgusting room. The next morning when I checked out the 2 staff members barely even gave me the time of day. Absolutely hands down worst hotel experience I have ever had
No hot water, staff was rude and lied, no manager or security when hotel was fully booked, suites were in bad shape, hotel staff spent most of there time smoking outside the main door and left hotel unattended, Overall a horrible experience, Used to a much better hotel!
First of all, there was no hot water which we have since found out is because maintenance has not been kept up on the boilers. Front desk staff were very unprofessional, one was actually drinking in the job. Housekeeping was requested but not provided and the hotel was not clean. The supervisor at the hotel did not seem to care about any of this. There are lots of nice hotels in Moncton. Skip this one!
Not a good experience. Front desk was overwhelmed as there was only one person to answer phones (which she was busy making reservations) and check in our family and a growing line of team sport families. In our room we were greeting with a filthy and dilapidated sofa bed. There was quite a bit of hair stuck to the wall behind the towel rack. The sink was very slow to drain. To top it off there was NO HOT WATER in the entire hotel on the Saturday of our stay. According to the gathering of employees speaking loudly in the breakfast area, management had known about the hot water tank issues in January.
We stayed there this past weekend with a U18 boys hockey team.....they had no hot water, which means no showers. You have to request housekeeping. Which I did, but they didn't empty my recycling bin and the didn't re-stock the coffee or condiments.
Even after multiple phone calls and emails to confirm our stay, when our team arrived at the hotel in a snowstorm, they were told there were no rooms for them. As the administrator booking the rooms, I felt that no one accepted responsiblity for the hotel's error, and it was instead implied that I did not submit the necessary documents on time, which was proven incorrect with screenshots of emails. When the hotel put the team up in suites, it was implied that they were doing us a huge favour while giving us the rooms at the original agreed upon rate, when this was the bare minimum of what could have been done. My young coach spent over an hour trying to get this sorted, involving me via phone, when this should have been a simple check in. We send teams to the Moncton area often, and will not be using this hotel in the future.
Was a great stay, constructive criticism comment would be the rooms are very basic. We decided to stay an additional night due to the staffs friendliness, Great complementary breakfast with friendly attendant, good location and parking. Pool heater was not working and a plug on the bedside lamp was not working- we simply switched lamps with the one on the desk and didnt bother advising staff. Room was clean and comfortable.
Stayed 4 nights. No hot water 2 of the 4 nights. No housekeeping for 3 of the 4 nights. Check-in took 45 minutes of complicated process. Charged a $250 "incidental" for damage deposit which did not appear at all on the booking site. We were never officially advised of no hot water so we could plan and leave the motel. Management not present at checkout when asking for refund. Upon email complaint, management only offered 50% off next stay....which will not happen ever again! We will never stay where we feel we have been cheated/ripped off.
If you need a place to stay that is comfortable and quick access to travel then this is the place - bonus the breakfast included offers many choices, has great coffee in a nice and clean environment. Also, the stairs are an easy option if you don't want the elevator - nice step distances, clean, well lit.
This hotel is very comfortable. The management and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is the best it can be. We were given a late check-out and when the time came for us to leave our room, we were offered to sit in the convention room until we were ready to go to the airport.
This hotel is centrally located, near the CF Champlain mall, restaurants, with easy access to the highway and shopping. The staff is wonderful and friendly, breakfast is great and the coffee is even better. We've stayed here a few times now and I wouldn't hesitate to return.
Great clean room, air conditioning worked wonderful! Excellent comfy beds!! (My favorite part) Little disappointed in the pool size and depth, but was clean. Breakfast was really great! Hot and tasty, a good amount of choices! Thanks Best Western! I'll definitely stay again.
Staff not very friendly. Breakfast area was chaotic and not well thought out. Too many people for such a small area and staff trying to restock asking rudely for people to move out of the way. No hot water when we showered.
This hotel was extremely well maintained, extremely clean, the service was exceptional that's why I'm taking the time to leave my review. This hotel was right close to the mall and movie theater, they have a nice pool and gum which we used. Also a big breakfast was included in the price and it was fresh, it was hot, and delicious. The staff was right on top of things keeping it clean and restocked, 10 out of 10 service, 5 star I recommend
-The hotel was dated. The carpet was old and smells bad. I'm not sure why it was rated as 4 star hotel in a booking site. It is not a 4 star hotel to me. -The staff in the reception was not pleasant to talk to and did not follow through on simple request for a call back when the room is ready (we arrived early and was told they will call once a room is ready).
Booked last minute as we had to reroute our trip - the front desk was so kind and accommodated us a bit early. Rooms were clean and beds were great! It was a perfect location for seeing the area. Walmart and the mall made picking up some necessities easy!
I've stayed here once before and my previous stay about 3ish years ago was much better than this stay. So, to start our room was awesome, very large and spacious lots of room. We got the 1 King Bed with Sofabed suite, my family and I really enjoyed it. Secondly, the staff were very accommodating during our stay, in addition, the breakfast was great too! So, my reasoning for giving this review a 3 star rating is because of a couple things. First off, the most major thing was the pool. I wanna start by saying the pool claims to be “heated” but it's really not, it's ice cold upon entering and even staying in the pool for awhile it starts to feel like 45 minute old bath water and you never really get fully adjusted to the water. If you want an actual heated pool where it's warm/hot the second you go in, I suggest the Days inn & Suites Moncton. Anyways, that wasn't my biggest concern about the pool. My biggest was concern was how this hotel doesn't offer a dedicated hour for adults only. Such as, since the pool closes at 11 I feel it would make sense to have at least 1-2 hours for adults only in the pool, (9-11 or 10-11) especially given the size of it. The pool is only 4ft deep max and I'd say it's like 30ft x 15ft in length/width. We went into the pool last night at around 9pm assuming it would just be us or maybe a couple adults. But no, not 5 minutes of being there annoying, bratty, mistakes (children) showed up with their irresponsible failures of parents. When they showed up they were breaking pretty much every pool rule, especially the one about no running. They would jump in the pool one after another and splash us, we basically had to stay tucked into a corner the entire we were in there. (Parents were useless, they said nothing.) Multiple other adult couples showed up and each one of them left because of the children. So, my point here is there NEEDS to be an adult only hour(s) 1-2 hours prior to the pool closing otherwise it's just a waste to even go in the pool because it's ruined and no fun constantly getting splashed, hearing ear piercing echoing screams constantly. Another issue we had was the next morning we had a different set of mistakes (children) across the hall screaming up a storm, running up and down the halls for nearly an hour at 7am. Final issue was that the toilets at least in our room anyways, needs to be replaced, they take at least 5-7 minutes to refill the tank and if you try to flush it before then (even holding down the handle) it does nothing. So, yeah, that was my experience this time around. I do see myself returning to this hotel in the future because the rooms, staff and breakfast are nice. But count me out of the pool if the rules are gonna stay the way they are. I would normally stay at the Days inn, but they were fully booked for this weekend. Btw, they have adult only pool hours and as I mentioned above a heated pool that's actually heated, so yeah. That's that. Choose wisely when searching for hotels :))
My stay at best western was good, good customer service, friendly staff, nice clean room , nice hotel to go swimming with family, breakfast was good, comfortable room and comfortable bed, would could back again
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We felt safe and happy with the hotel itself. The problem we had was with the front desk. The lady that checked us in was scrolling on her phone when I approached the desk and made me wait until she was finished. Partway through our checkin her husband called and she stopped serving me to answer it. The proceeded to have a conversatin with him telling him she wasn't busy and had been watching a movie for the last hour. She then handed me my keys while still chatting with said husband and I felt ignored. Had to wait for her to get off the phone to ask her the questions I had about breakfast and laundry facilities. Then we wanted an extra pillow so called the front desk, who promply cut me off and said we'd have to come to the desk. So my son went off and came back empty handed saying she cut him off mid sentence and told him to go find the housekeeping staff. So I had to wander the floors and find housekeeping. Absolutely ridiculous. The next morning I went to the desk to ask about getting a second room. The same lady was there. And again was on her phone "getting a dotors note" and made me wait for service. Tried contacting the location via facebook but still have yet to get a reply.
Clean comfortable hotel. Friendly staff answered questions about where to go and where to eat. Highly recommend this hotel. Only downside was trouble with the wi-fi, down for about 2 days but not the fault of the staff.
This hotel is convenient for downtown Moncton, the Staff are attentive and helpful and the breakfast is decent. Rooms are clean and adequate but this is definitely NOT a 4.5 star hotel as advertised on Priceline. The rooms had no USB charger connections, the free wi-fi was painfully slow when it was available, and the TV in the rooms must have been at least 10 years old!!
Great spot very easy access from all directions. Weekend was very busy with tournaments players but was very quiet through the night. Breakfast room was very busy but well maintained. Staff are very helpful and pleasant.
Was given the keys and room number of another person. Walked in on them after check in. The site didn't verify first the right people. Also must watch the cleanliness of those site, hit or miss. Definitely check seat cushions and common areas.
The Best Western beds were so comfy and they must have gotten new bedding because it was also really great. We had a very comfy stay. I would recommend this for people staying in the area. The price was a bit high but all hotels seemed to have taken a price hike since Covid.
We had a great stay at the Best Western. Check in was quick and easy and the staff was very friendly. We were greeted with a smile each time we came in. The hot breakfast had a great variety and there was plenty for everyone. I definitely recommend this hotel.
After checking into our room my daughter in-law noticed a large shard of glass in entrance way. After looking around we noticed it was from the cover of the fire escape plan on back of door. My sons room across the hall was the same. Glass covering the sign was completely shattered. My husband is diabetic and to think he could have sliced his foot on the large piece was quite upsetting. After follow up with hotel manager and filing a formal complaint I was very disappointed in their response. Customer safety I believe ranks awfully low with this company. Because of this we certainly will never be booking another stay in any of their hotels.
Checked into our room , was getting comfortable when my wife let out a scream and jumped on the bed. Only to find two mice running around the room crapping every where. Brought this to the front desk o my to be told that's weird they don't generally get to the 2nd floor. In what world is this something a staff member of a hotel chain as big as best western should say to a customer. Horrible stay don't recommend to anyone. I stay at a lot of best westerns and this is by far the worse stay I've ever had.
The room was clean and spacious and I sunk into the pillows giving me a wonderful sleep. The breakfast buffet was hot and fresh and well maintained. There were places to sit and not too crowded. The staff wee courteous and helpful and the front desk lady even called to tell me I had forgotten my medication at the hotel. What a caring team!
Rooms were accommodating and clean. Only issue was with one room. The water wasn't draining in the sink or tub. Otherwise, front desk attendants were extremely friendly and welcoming! Pool was perfect for entertaining family and children. Hot tub would have been nice!
Place was dirty , felt sorry for young ladies at the desk when we checked in two different guests came to the desk while we checked in. The first needed a new room as he said their room was dirty and had hair all over the place, the second person said their sink wouldn't drain. We got to our room to fine the a/c didn't work, phone didn't work had a second one beside it as I think maintenance was planning on replacing it. The room was dirty so we went down to the front desk and got a different room. The second one was a bit better except for the short curly hairs in the bathroom. Gross. Seemed to be lots of dissatisfaction chatter in the front lobby and breakfast room in the morning. Definitely not up to Best Western Plus standards.
We have stayed at many Best Western motels from Ontario through to the Maritimes. Some have been preferable to others but none have been what we experienced at the Best Western in Moncton, New Brunswick. It seemed odd that I was charged the full price of our room before getting the key - and then I was informed the elevator was not working! Our room was on the 3rd floor and I was told when I asked that there was nothing available on the 1st and 2nd levels. Taking the stairs to our room was a tall order for two senior citizens with suitcases packed for five weeks away from home! We did appreciate that two small windows opened but the window as a whole was so dirty we hated to touch it. And then we discovered the frig had been turned off and was leaking all over the cupboard and floor. It had obviously not been cleaned either. We found long hairs inside and on the bathroom floor as well. Yuck! Needless to say, we have cancelled our reservation to stay at this motel on our way home from the Maritimes!
The breakfast had french toast and it was yummy. The beds were comfy but as I had teens they always had stuff to say about the wifi and sadly here it was a little unstable at times as it kept losing it and reestablishing it.
We got a decent rate compared to the Residence Inn we stayed at last time so we gave it a try. Definitely needed a car to get to restaurants and around. 2 Queen room was average size with fridge and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average complimentary breakfast that did the job to get you started for the day. No complaints would stay again if the price was right.
We stayed at the Best Western for 2 nights on a sisters road trip to Moncton. Room was good ... clean, comfy beds. The continental breakfast (included with room rate) had some hot options (eggs, bacon, sausages, french toast) which was a nice surprise. The breakfast room is small and very crowded ... but turnover was quick so we didn't have to wait long for a table. Only downside is that the ground floor smells like chlorine from the indoor pool.
The hotel was very clean and quiet. We were there for 4 nights while a family member was in hospital. Their hospital rate was more than fair and the staff on the desk were very helpful when we had to extend our stay. The breakfast food and staff were exceptional. A little crowded because clients were not aware of the overflow room( perhaps a sign would help). There is no question that I would strongly recommend the hotel to anyone.
Room sucked. The room table tops were dirty. Hair on the bedside table from a previous guest before our stay. The pool was very dirty. The shower curtain had dirt on it when we arrived in the room. The room overall was not clean.
We booked a suite for $369. The place has potential to be a great stay but is in desperate need of a good deep clean. Our room at first glance was ok but upon closer looking the walls had something brown dripping down them, the doors and windows filthy, the shower curtain had mould. The garbage can outside was positively overflowing with garbage spread out many feet from the can itself. There was a rat in it. The internet was spotty. I would never have stayed a Second night.
The hotel was dirty; stained chairs and overflowing garbage outside the hotel. No sheets for the pull couch and no cups provided for the coffee machine. I had to ask for sheets and cups, towels only provided for 2 individuals when the booking was for four.
2 queen beds and only 2 towels and facecloths. Musty smell from carpet and overloaded outdoor garbage bins. Breakfast was good, bathroom was clean with hot water.. Staff was efficient. Check in was quick and easy
This hotel is located sort of half way between Parlee Beach and downtown. You would need a car to stay here, but from here there are options to go to places in Monction and beyond. We took an afternoon trip to Bouchtouche.
I have stayed at a number of Best Western properties in Canada as a Best Western Diamond member. This hotel is a good hotel, but I suspect that it is due for renovation shortly. The room itself was quiet comfortable and had a microwave, Fridge and safe. The roo was very clean. It was a busy time for the hotel, as there were multiple events happening in the area during our stay. The cleaners were working hard to get the rooms cleaned in time for the next guests. Despite this, the rooms they had for us weren't ready, but others were, this was fine with us as they were still the same type we had booked. The elevator was clunky the day we arrived and the next morning too. It did work for a bit in the morning, but just as we were about to load the car, it went out of service. This wouldn't have been an issue, except the only sign indicating that it was out of order was in the lobby, there wasn't any signs indicating the out of order on the other floors. The pool was frigid not just chilly but frigid. The Breakfast was great and the staff were amazing and working their tails off. It was an ok stay, but does need some updating especially the halls are quite dark.
We booked this hotel last minute, after an AirBNB host cancelled on us. Because of this we ended up paying the premium 2022 price-gouging prices. We chose this hotel for two main reasons: we like to have a room with a door for our small daughter to go to bed earlier than us and we like to have a pool for something to do. The pool was FRIGID. I cannot overstate how cold it was. My daughter's lips were blue within 20 minutes or so. The suite was suitable. It had a lovely Queen bed and a standard "Grandma's house" pull out couch. If I had paid regular Best Western Plus prices for it, I would have been fine with it. For nearly $300/night - it was not up to those standards. It was a no frills hotel, but unfortunately we paid the same amount for this as the high-end hotels we stayed at during the rest of our east coast vacation and it was just not up to the standards of the price we paid. So I guess my warning is to be aware that if you are currently booking it at those rates, it won't live up to your expectations. The staff were kind and courteous. The breakfast was a regular hotel buffet style breakfast - cereals, bagels, bacon & eggs in a warmer, perfectly suitable. Lots of food options.
Average stay for the price. Location is challenging to enter/exit but central to lost of amenities. Breakfast was good but seating area is very small. Best Western has significantly increased the required points used per stay which is very disappointing.
Great spot to stay and great location! Staff very courteous. Rooms clean, beds comfortable and great selection of breakfast items to pick from in the morning! Will stay again and have already recommended this place to others. We will be back!
Excellent! Half the price as other hotels, good free parking, a good free breakfast perfect location. Rooms are standard but very clean. Pool is small yes, but clean and fun. Exercise room very minimal but functional and clean. All in all I was very pleased. For a family vacation that has us in the actual room very little we will stayed here every time.
Under construction but still nice — the room was clean, bathroom and tub were clean and staff was very efficient however the construction got rather loud on the floor I was spending the night on without warning or price reduction. It is what it is.
We had a third floor room and other than some noise from bikers our stay was great. The room is spacious with a good bathroom. The included breakfast was better than most, and the $12 voucher for snacks was appreciated.
Purchased as a VIP expedia deal. PERK $12 in hotel voucher for snacks (good for 4 snack items) LOCATION - odd location on a busy street. Easy to turn right, harder to turn left during peak hours STAFF - friendly ROOM - smaller than the other place we stayed in. bathroom had a slight musty smell. Closer inspection of the shower bar - you can see mold growing in the suction cup handles. Toilet sometimes runs. Otherwise it is quiet and beds were fine BREAKFAST included. Nice to have a hot breakfast. They had breads/muffins, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day) and french toast FYI - they no longer do daily room service. They say it is due to COVID
New Brunswick hospitality shines through its front desk and breakfast staff. Very helpful and patient with me and treated me like a customer should be treated. A rare attribute in these days. Polish your staff and they will continue to shine!
I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Hotel. Friendly and courteous staff. Thank you for this place close to everything we needed. I was able to visit the village of Shediac and eat lobsters.... Delicious
Reception was exceptional. Greeted by name and offered a water with friendly welcoming chatter. The wifi was great and breakfast has many options. I was overall happy with my stay and would recommend to a friend
Sheets were not changed from previous occupants and there was blood on them. Bloody boogers on shower curtain Garbage in garage can from previous occupants. Brought this up to front desk and was handed a set of sheets to change myself. Disgusting breakfast. Never will stay with Best Western again
We stayed at the location on our way through. No internet, no cable, jetted tub was disgusting and staff was very rude. I stay here often but that'll change now as I don't deal with rudeness and cleanliness
Jacuzzi tub had black slimy stuff coming out of jets. Fridge was dirty and freezer was built up with ice so bad we couldn't open the door. Went out for dinner, came back to a stranger wearing dirty clothes with his hood up and sunglasses (on a stormy, rainy, day) standing in front of our door looking in. When we pulled up in front of the door, he took off inside the Hotel. The pool was filthy dirty too and was so cold we couldn't use it if it was clean. We had no maid service for 2 days (they said because of covid). They didn't tell us that until we got there. We should have been told that when we booked. It definitely could use maid service more. For as much as we pay, we shouldn't have to go grab our own towels, make our own bed, clean our room, etc. If I wanted to do all that, I would stay home. The guests above us had kids that were jumping so hard for hours that the ceiling light was mak8ng a rattling noise. We thought it was eventually going to fall. The whole experience was not good. Breakfast was the only thing that was worth anything there. And we did find the staff friendly. Probably won't be back to this Hotel.
The staff here are so friendly, and very accommodating. They chatted with us, really made us feel at home. I would highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the executive suite. Just an awesome experience!
We can not say enough amazing things about the staff at this hotel. They were super helpful and so friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds are sooooo comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again in the near future.
We stay here every year on our annual Christmas shopping trip. Never been disappointed! It's close to the mall, and close to hop on the highway to leave in the morning. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. We require a microwave for health reasons and they've always accomodated this request. The complimentary Breakfast is always delicious, fresh and hot, with lots of variety. Great value! And we are a fussy bunch, but we've never been disappointed here.
My father had to go for a procedure at the hospital and I chose this hotel for its location and I'm glad I did. It was a great experience overall. The lady who was on the night shift was super kind and friendly and all staff were amazing. Very clean and the breakfast was a bonus.
It was great and really close to all amenities and restaurants and downtown Moncton. Got to show my kids the tidal bore! Staff were so helpful and pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely stay at this Best Western plus again.
Very clean very nice place to stay. Handy to shopping, movies, restaurants and highway. Staff are helpful and engaging. Pool was refreshing and breakfast was nourishing and the kitchen staff very accomodating
The hotel was booked last minute, and we had a beautiful room. The bathroom was spacious and clean, loves the citrus products, bed was comfortable, room was clean, has a safe and fridge. We will be back.
Wonderful stay at this hotel. Service at reception was very good as we were instantly upgraded to a larger room. The hotel looks fresh and clean. We enjoyed the included hot breakfast service. Our room was large, clean and well decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we enjoyed the nice shower. A nice size indoor pool is also available. About a 20 minute walk away is a shopping mall and several nice restaurants. Highway access is quick and easy.
Stayed at the Best Wesyern another night. Great bath tub for a relaxing bath. Everything went well. Ill be staying at Best Western on a regular basis. I did the tour of Cape Breton and staying here made my trip comfortable and relaxing. Front staff always willing to lend a hand for printing or internet issues. Thank you Best Western.
Has been a while since we have stayed at a BW... The prices are up all over the board, but this did not disappoint. Check in was excellent, parking, good. Room, excellent. Hot breakfast was good, even if they did run out of some food,,, not their fault as the delivery truck arrived late. Over all, a good experience.
Ok place to stay. Pool was smaller than I expected, was dirty. No towels provided so lobby was wet and elevator. I almost fell. Breakfast was amazing, however my son was not allowed seconds. Room was good. Breakfast staff.. Amazing!
I was disappointed with this branch of best western. Whenever i travel with my friends and family i always, like always chose best western because of the great service they are giving to the guest, but this one is a bit disappointing. Firstly when i asked if i could ask the roll away bed, the front desk told me they dont do it on their hotel since i booked online and not on their hotel itself I didn't know it. So i said thats ok. Then i called from my room to ask for an extra blanket the front desk kinda get sassy at me saying they have no housekeeping due to covid that i have to go down and get it myself. And then here's the internet connection that can only accommodate one device!! Like only one because it's only 9mbps! Like what the hell! I don't know why but the best western in halifax which i always go to are super excellent when it comes to customer service and their place was really nice too.
Room was clean had everything we needed for our stay and we were happily surprised with a refrigerator in the room! The complimentary hot breakfast was great and very well executed with one person serving us. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!
Clean is #1 Very good service .In spike of Covid, the breakfast was very well done. My wife and I have been using BW for quite a while now, and will continue. Plus you can't beat the service. Fast check in and fast check out. Don't take my word for it, Book a night and find out for yourself.
Well kept, very clean hotel. Enjoyed the indoor pool very much. Very friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast is included. Always hot with lots of variety. Stayed at this hotel a few times over the last ten years. Never disappointed, always satisfied.
Everything went pretty well. The staff were all extremely friendly and extremely helpful. The only thing that could have made it more enjoyable was the pool working, but I understand sometimes things have to be fixed. So hopefully next time we can enjoy it! Breakfast was great and lots to pick from! Will stay again.
This is a very good place to relax and feel welcome. It is fairly well located near shopping and entertainment areas. We have stayed there numerous times over the years, be it for business or pleasure and always enjoyed the amenities, the staffs, as well as the rooms.
We have stayed here twice in the past few months. As a dedicated BW customer, we like to stay with the brand. Rooms are dated. Below the usual Best Western standards we usually stay at. Have to say though, we received great service from staff. Just plain old disappointed in the rooms. Time for a facelift.
I would stay here again. Staff were friendly, service was good. I was disappointed that the pool was closed for maintenance but pleased that the staff offered us a late check out to make up for it. Breakfast provided was also good and had a good variety of choices.
The room should be cleaner. We used a towel to wipe water off the floor around the jacuzzi and the white towel was brown after cleaning the floor. There was Crumbs & mouse poo in the pull out sofa, so that also hadn't been cleaned in a while. And we had a mouse in our room in the middle of the night.
Hotel was nice appearance from the outside, front desk staff were friendly, hotel was very clean and room was in great shape, well done housekeeping! Had a great trip and will definitely return to this Best Western!
The hotel is fairly attractive and quite clean. It is difficult to find when driving by, and the entrance to the parking lot is quite dangerous, so be prepared to make a tough turn! During check in, we had to stand and wait with our bags for several minutes while the two front desk workers chatted with another guest who stood behind the plastic barrier with them, no mask on, getting refreshments. He paid in cash, chatted for a while despite us waiting, and left. The front desk employee took his cash, did not wash her hands, and proceeded to check us in and hand us our key cards - gross. Later that night, we went down to ask for utensils and again had to wait while the employee chatted with another guest behind the plastic barrier without a mask. Ew. When we went to swim in the pool, it was full with children in it even late at night, and were told no appointments were required despite the ongoing pandemic! We were not told on calling down and asking about appointments that the pool was in use and we came down in our swimwear before realizing we could not use the pool. We did not get to swim at all before going home. The grab and go breakfast contained bruised and brown apples as the only fruit. The next time we went for breakfast, the “grab and go” breakfast was buffet style, including the apples. The purpose of grab and go is completely defeated if every guest puts their hands on the food - particularly with the bruised apples that were likely picked up and put down by many because they were brown! The room was well furnished, though lacking the furnishings I've come to expect from a Best Western Plus. The air conditioning system was quite broken and would not stay off when turned off. It turned of often through the night, we had to get up to turn it off 10+ times per night, and the room was always freezing when returning at the end of the day because it would come on while we were out. The closed captions on the TV did not work properly and the Internet was not strong enough to support Netflix without pixelating most of the time, so being deaf, I did not have much entertainment. Overall, the hotel is not terrible, but certainly not up to the usual standards of a Best Western Plus. I would not return to this hotel under any normal circumstance as I could have had better accommodations anywhere else in Moncton for the same price.
The Building is New and remains clean. That makes all the difference when comparing. The service it great, friendly and informative about surrounding areas. Great Location when travelling in either directions to get to any destination fast and safe.
I really had no complaints about the hotel itself, except that the breakfast area is quite small. We were lucky enough to get a table, but there were people standing. The main complaint with the hotel is the location. It feels very much like they had a free lot in Moncton and couldn't decide what to do with it, so they built a hotel. The entrance to the parking lot is not easy to get into. The Best Western sign is tiny and we ended up driving past it before realizing that we had to turn around. The parking lot direction is one way without a lot of room between cars. We love Best Western, but we won't be staying at the Moncton location again.
Sports team were all able to enjoy the location. Offered access to meeting room for parties. Pool was kept clean. Rooms were decent and hotel staff were great. All teams able to stay near each other was nice
I originally posted this review months ago and I'm just reading it now and it had so many typos i fixed and am reposting it again! This was my first time staying at this Best Western, but I have stayed at many other best western establishments before. We stayed here a couple weeks ago, it is a very nice and clean hotel. The pool was very nice and it's heated as well! The breakfast was very good. Our room was quite nice as well, it was pretty clean and the beds were pretty comfortable. Although the one downside to this is that there isn't a microwave in the standard rooms with just the 2 queen beds. You have to pay another like $20-$30 to get the room with the kitchenette in it, which then it comes with a microwave. But at least there was a mini fridge in our room. Anyways, we still had a great stay!
This hotel is located in the perfect location for shopping and close to downtown moncton. We stayed here this past weekend and were mega impressed but how clean and comfy it was. There was an entire minor hockey league staying just a couple rooms down and we barely noticed them. We booked a suite which was super quiet and cozy as there is a door to block off the rest of the room. The room was spacious! The free breakfast was pretty average and on par with what I have come to expect with Best Western Plus'. Definitely could have better coffee but just having a warm meal in the morning is a perk! Bed was super comfortable, it was my first night away from my little one and was exactly what I needed. There is also a ton of amenities available. We had picked up our dinner and the resturant forgot to include plates and cutlery. We were able to get some from the front desk very easily! Service was friendly and prompt. I'm a big fan of Best Western Plus and this hotel did not disappoint.
Thanks for the great service and the upgrade room.i definitely recommand that place for any kind of trip family or buisness it close of everything and easy acces.i will consider for my next trip to moncton .
My wife and I stayed for 2 nights. I was offered an upgrade but needed to stay on the 2nd floor instead of my preferred top floor. The desk agent indicated that noise from the room above should not be a problem, but on the second night it was a major problem. The room itself was excellent, very spacious and well laid out with comfortable furniture. The bathroom/shower were very clean. The bedroom and bed were comfortable and clean as well. Internet connection was stable and reliable. Parking was free and lots of it, despite having sports teams in house. The sports teams were well mannered and not a serious issue except for seating at the breakfast room. Other than the noise issue on night 2, it was a pleasant stay.
Clean, warm and friendly, the hotel itself is great with comfortable beds and wonderful rooms but the staff is the Best part of this Best Western. Quick on the check in, friendly and a simple ease of staying here make me keep coming to this Hotel.
Good hotel to stay at. My rewards were not mentioned this time around. We had a noise complaint but they offered their conference room rather than hallways which was good of them. Sports event for our children.
Recently we stayed for one night at the Best eWestern Plus Moncton. We were only there for one night as we had tickets to see Jim Cuddy in concert~ The Best Western is one of Moncton's finest hotels. Not only is it well located for restaurants and shopping, but it offers lots of amenities. The free breakfast is a highlight. Clean comfy rooms add to the attraction. So this hotel has become our home away from home in the Gaspe Peninsula.
i will never stay at this hotel again the staff are rude and there was mice in the hotel.anyone looking to travel to moncton DO NOT GO TO BEST WESTERN PLUS on lewisville road. unless you like it when a rude man scream at your family that he is the hotels police and that he is the law.
Overall the stay was ok, but the internet barely worked on any of our devices all weekend (fri-sun) so with kids during a rainy weekend, this made for not a very enjoyable stay. I would not stay at this location again because of this.
We stayed as a hockey team, so lots of kids! These guys let the kids use an extra room (maybe it was an extra banquet room) beside the pool, to play mini sticks! This kept the kids out of the halls and it was SO appreciated! There were more then one hockey team there and the kids took turns. It was extra special of the staff to allow this and put up with the extra noise it may have created! It was greatly appreciated by us parents. Staff really were incredible. Also breakfast options were good, enough for a family of 4 to choose from.
Great location, close to everything including malls and restaurants. The check-in and check-out process was very easy. Breakfast was great and the beds were super comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Needed another day in Moncton, so stopped by the Best Western Plus. They looked right after me and I had a wonderful stay. Room was excellent and I had a great breakfast the following morning. Always have a great stay at BW.
Stayed at this hotel and it was very nice and clean the breakfast was a good variety but for me just not hot enough but still good, the bed was comfortable the only negative thing i found was the pillows i'm not a big fan of feather pillows so i didn't get a good night sleep so next time i will bring my own pillows. It was a very quiet hotel close to champlain mall will be back again someday.
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times in the past 2 years and I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else! Very quite, smoothest check in. Complementary breakfast is good, standard cereal, eggs, sausage, toast. Only missing the waffle maker! Never used the pool but stayed in a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. 10/10 recommend.
I've been reserving this hotel for the past 2 years for either a business trip or a week-end getaway. The bed and pillows are extremely comfortable and there is a nice selection for breakfast. It is also conveniently close the the shopping mall and not to far from the airport.
We had a small suite that had a breakfast area equipped with fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. It gave us plenty or room to move around. It was a busy location but not noisy! Staff was very accommodating ad friendly!
I have always had amazing experiences at Best Western Plus hotels. Whether I'm travelling for business or pleasure, I always make sure that I stay at a Best Western Plus hotel if possible. The staff are always friendly, the rooms are clean and the beds are unbelievably comfortable.
This was my first time staying at this Best Western, but I have stayed at many Luther best western establishments before. We stayed here a couple weeks ago, it is a very nice and clean hotel. The poop was very nice and it's heated as well!
Upon check in, my daughter discovered that the handle on toilet was completely broken. This should have been noticed by the cleaning staff. Guess it wasn't. Caked the front desk. They sent someone up. He replaced it only to break it again before he even left. He returned about 20 minutes And replaced the past again. Thankfully it now worked. Honestly, not very convenient for a family of four to not have a bathroom for an hour and a half after arriving from a long road trip. When we went to put the kids to bed, we realized there were no pillows for the pull out bed. Had to can the front desk who sent some up promptly. The next morning, we took the kids to the pool. We were told towels would be located at the pool. There were none to be found. Took some dripping kids back to the room. Staff was good. Room was nice. Given the problems with our stay, I wouldn't recommend. It seems like little details are overlooked.
Although it is located right beside an expressway, and a bit tricky to access if you don't know where it is, thankfully we didn't hear freeway noise overnight. It is convenient (not on foot) for the shopping in the Dieppe area of Moncton, being near some large plazas. We stay at a lot of Best Westerns (Diamond membership level) and were a bit disappointed to find no microwave in the room, a minus for many types of travellers. The bathroom looked as though it had been recently upgraded, however, the unheated mirror steamed up badly. The upholstered chair was hard, and not at all comfortable. There's just no sparkle at this place, and we would explore alternates if in the area again.
Stayed one night Oct 2019, such a beautiful hotel, front desk staff were excellent, friendly, recommended places to eat, chatted about our travel. Hotel was very clean, beds comfortable. We would highly recommend, will definitely stay here again on our next trip.
Front desk needs a lot of help with customer service and friendliness cleaning staff are fantastic the breakfast area was wonderful the memories are amazing we will definitely stay there again I really hope that they get some training in customer service that was the only thing that was lacking
Nice hotel but great range of service from front desk staff. Dealt with "Pierre-Luc" who was a disaster. Asked for some help in booking another night at BW....he "helped" until his shift was up at 11 p.m., at which point he just walked away from the desk. When I mentioned the task had not been completed, he told me that if I wanted it done, I should have done it myself! Then he blurted "I am F!!! out of here and just took off, not even handing the task to his shift replacement. Disgusting attitude and a blight on the establishment.
I thought the king room was a bit much for cost for one night but mainly there should be monitoring the parking lot and asking people to leave if they are just hanging out loitering near guest vehicles, and front desk lady could use some customer service skills.
We found the hotel easily even though it wasn't on the main highway. Staff was friendly and helpful, suggestions for supper. Good sleep! Comfy bed. Great hot breakfast. It is also close to all amenities.
Hotel was great some of the staff not so much they got my booking wrong and instead of two beds gave me one bed and a fold out sofa bed. They did fix it, but I had clearly stated in my booking that I wanted two beds. In new room the toilet was plugged and they brought me a plunger and left me to fix it myself. not impressed to be rented a room with a problem that I had to fix myelf
Room was in disrepair. Would think any room to be nice and items working properly. But even more so for the executive section of the hotel. Not worth the extra money that is for sure. Toilet leaking, dirty, marked up furniture, dented fridge, tv and heating/cooling systems not working properly ect.
There was a little mould in the grout in the bathroom and the seat leather was cracked. Otherwise the room was in great shape. I have stayed over 30 nights in this location and never been disappointed.
My husband and I spent the night on our way to Halifax, and were initially impressed with the hotel - everyone was friendly, the location was great, etc. We quickly noticed the tv wasn't working (every 5 minutes it would turn off), but we didn't care as we did not need the tv. My husband is a rather violent sleeper, and in the night ended up kicking off the heavy blanket. When we woke up in the morning I noticed there was a large urine spot on the duvet right where I was sleeping. At the same time, my husband came out of the shower and mentioned that there was mould in the shower. When checking out, we mentioned this to the girls working the front desk, and they were so kind and disgusted as we were. They called their manager right away, who said for me to send them an email. My husband and I left the hotel feeling a bit dirty, but very happy with the way things were handled. That evening I sent my email to the manager, and forgot anything about it. I realized a week later I hadn't received any response. Since then I have sent an additional 2 emails, and no one is responding to me. I am absolutely frustrated by the lack of management's care for their customers, and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.
We did not require an accessible room but due to a late booking were placed in the accessible room. The bathroom was spacious but the location of the light switch in regards to the door opening would make it a challenge for someone in a wheelchair. The room was not overly spacious if you were in a wheelchair and the bed was quite high. At 5'5" i still found the bed high so if you had mobility issues or were in a wheelchair there would be significant challenges to get in/out of bed. Otherwise, the room was clean, breakfast was good and the kids enjoyed the pool.
Overall stay was lovely! Upon check-in the lady at the desk signed us up (for free) as members & saved us nearly $60 after taxes on our room. This was one of few places in Moncton that I called that had an actual crib available for use (not just a playpen or pack & play) We stayed in a Queen Suite which had an unusual layout but was functional. My only big complaint is the sheer amount of plastic at breakfast! Plates were paper (which still isn't ideal as they are still disposable) but the cups & utensils were also all plastic. I understand that you may not have the staff available to wash dishes but at least switch to a more environmentally friendly option such as wood or bamboo which I've seen used in hotels/cafes before. Location was also very close to Champlain Mall if you are planning to do a lot of shopping. Pool on main floor.
As per usual, my family and I's stay at the Moncton Best Western met all our expectations. We were checked in promptly, the reservations were accurate, the rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Very nice and clean hotel. Breakfast was wonderful. Probably the best continental breakfast we have had in awhile. Quiet also despite being a very busy weekend. Front desk staff were very nice and friendly! Would recommend and stay again!
My wife and son and I came to Moncton for the weekend to take in the zoo, as well as a few other spots as part of a little close-to-home vacation. My inlaws tagged along as well. I was careful to call well ahead of time to make the reservation as Moncton is a busy spot during peak tourist season. The reservation was made and we arrived as planned. Though we were early, the room was not quite ready on arrival. Undeterred, the team member at the front desk booked us in early to ensure we'd have the room we'd wanted. We were specific in that we wanted a 'junior suite'room so my son could 'have his own room' with the pullout couch, while my wife and I could enjoy TV in out room without waking him up. The reservation and checkin went off without a hitch. The room, as expected at that this location, was clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water, good food.....Bonus points for making sure the inlaws were put far away from our room. If we have a complaint, it would be that the TVs are quite outdated. Both rooms' TVs were really dark. The inlaws made the same comment about theirs as well. Time for an upgrade! Worth the stay!!
No restaurant or bar, breakfast area very small and guests either have to return to their rooms or eat in the conference room. Pool is small and not very clean. The staff are friendly the location is good. Rooms are clean
This hotel looks great but for best western standards it is lacking. Ants crawling around Shower heads very dated and no pressure and no microwave in room. This is our third stay at this hotel as it is the closest best western to our destination and it is the third time we have to reactivate the keys every day that we are there. It is like we spend money to stay at nice best westerns but on vacation we have to settle for this as we use our points. If I was paying I would stay somewhere else.
Good location, off freeway. My room was clean and spacious, and late night check-in was accommodated. Only negative I can think of is that the water pressure was low and a bit on the cooler side....hot water would have been nice. Free breakfast was pretty good - selection of hot and cold items.
Very clean rooms, staff are friendly and quick to fix anything. The breakfast options were amazing, the only thing lacking was they had sausage instead of bacon. Other then that no complains all around great place to stay. The quality of mattresses were also much better then I was expecting. I would stay here again!
We arrived late since it's a long drive from Montreal, but the guy at reception was ok. The beds were actually quite comfortable. The room was small but clean, as usual the exhaust vent for the shower was full of dust...I don't come across many hotels that actually bother cleaning this. Being tall, I notice. No ice maker on the second floor, so had to go to the main floor for ice. The second morning I was slowly getting out of bed when I noticed a small field mouse sniffing around the fridge...having encountered mice before, the visit wasn't startling but I know what mice leave behind and that's droppings and urine. On a carpet, not too hygienic. It quickly disappeared, and it really didn't matter since we were leaving that morning. We went for breakfast anyway. The scrambled eggs and french toast were ok, but the sausages looked like mummified fingers so that turned me off. The coffee wasn't bad. All in all ok, but mice really aren't very clean and this is the first time I've seen one in any hotel that I've stayed at, let alone the 2nd floor which leads me to believe that there are more of these "guests" staying for free at this place...
Late arrival is no worries at this hotel. All staff members were extremely friendly and very helpful. The room was terrific. Very clean from front door to back. We were on the second floor and even though close to a highway we had no problems with any noise at all. I would highly recommend this hotel.
My partner and I stayed at Best Western Plus in Moncton a few days ago. We were very happy with the room, but were extremely disappointed with the waste produced by the breakfast for a supposedly ''eco-friendly'' hotel. All plates, cups, and utensils were plastic or paper and disposed of in the garbage after the meal. Even condiments (e.g. maple syrup) were packaged in plastic containers. The amount of garbage produced after one breakfast was completely wasteful and unnecessary. It is incredibly simple to use reusable metal or plastic plates, cups and utensils. This simple choice would not only make the entire breakfast experience feel less cheap, but would greatly reduced the waste produced by this hotel.
My wife and I planned a getaway weekend to Moncton and stayed at the Best Western Plus. . Happy to say we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely hotel, clean, updated and friendly helpful staff and a nice "Free" breakfast
Newer nice clean hotel. The location is fairly close and has easy to access most places we wanted to visit. Front desk staff were very organized. Breakfast was excellent and well managed. Lots of free parking.
Perfect spot for a quick arrival in quick leave, close to many restaurants in city centre. Very clean and up to date as a best Western should be. Breakfast was perfect and there's a small gym that did the job for me
Hotel part of the best western chain. Located near the highway. Noisy. No restaurant. Lousy breakfast. Good service. Staff is great. Good for one night stay. Wouldn't spend more time than one night. Would choose hotel for one night
Friendly workers, somewhat clean room, decent price, good promos, fast internet, clean pool which wasn't very deep but it would've been nice to have a hot tub, really good breakfast, not very sound proof rooms, heater/AC was pretty loud.
Stopped into Moncton during our Maritimes road trip. Upon check-in, I asked the front desk about a good fish and chip location and she said there was one down the road but she recommended Skipper Jack . The best lunch we've had on our trip so far.. thanks for that. The room is very clean and very comfortable beds. Each bed had 4 pillows which can be a problem in some hotels. We were on the 3rd floor and it was quiet. The hallways were cool which would be great during a heat spell and the hallways have an upscale look to them. The breakfast was very good and varied. Great scrambled eggs, French toast, and very good sausages as well as the regular standard fare. Very good and filling breakfast and was not very busy when we were down at around 8am. Yes, we will return on our next Moncton trip.
We had to go to Moncton for my daughter to have eye surgery. Check in was painless. I requested a quiet room so she could rest. They made sure we had a very quiet area of the hotel and this was appreciated. Unfortunately we could get near the breakfast the next morning as there was a basketball team and their parents overtaking the entire area....no fault of the hotel though. Would definitely stay here again!
This was our first stay at the Best Western in Moncton. Lobby was very clean, reception was friendly. Our room was very clean as well, good size. Complementary breakfast was good, everyone found something they liked. The hotel is well situated.
I'm a Diamond Member & met up with my Daughter & Grand Daughters who now live in New Brunswick. This Best Western is the cleanest Inn we have EVER stayed in. I'm a Flight Attendant for a Major Airline who has stayed @ many High End Hotels around the world- But truly.... EVERYTHING sparkled & shined. The check in staff was so very pleasant. Great hot breakfast in the morning. THANK YOU!!!
Our room was very clean, we stayed in a room with a jacuzzi and ive stayed in a similar room before and the jacuzzi had soap resedue in it, but this time around everything was very clean. Excellent customer service, front desk was very friendly and served me with a smile. They were also very helpful with any additional things i needed.
I have stayed at this hotel when visiting Moncton several times. Centrally located. Friendly staff, very clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Decent hot breakfast included. Plenty of options available.
Arrived Saturday April 6 2019 - We got our keys and paid up front for two night stay (April 6-April 8 2019 .) As we were unpacking (April 6 2019) there were children ages 8 -12 playing in the hallway with Hockey Sticks and with a Dog running around. I mentioned that to the kids this is not a playground and to take it elsewhere. Then I informed the front desk. The halls were quiet during the night no issues. April 7 2019 - Sunday - was not able to sleep much outside exterior noise people reviving up motor bikes and cars on the ground level. Finally dosed off around 12:30 a.m. only to be awaken by a drunk patron of the hotel mouthing off and slamming his door as he entered his suite. Some of the people in town for the "Hockey Turnament" recognized my Husband's car when we went for coffees in Riverview. I wonder what kind of people really attend these Tournaments. Some are very rude, obnoxious and really not nice people at all.
Nice clean rooms quick check in friendly staff lots of parking spaces Nice and accommodating lounge serving various snacks and drinks at night excellent breakfast in the morning I would recommend a great place to stay
Thank you to the staff, this place is fantastic and very beautiful hotel, nice swimming pool, clean rooms, high speed internet was great, very good hot breakfast. we will return again for sure. Thank You
Have stayed at the BW Moncton several times. It is always a pleasant stay. The rooms are well appointed, the breakfast has a variety of options, and the staff is always pleasant. I would recommend the BW Moncton for a great central place to stay when in Moncton. We were in town for a concert and it was an easy commute, and is close to shopping and dining.
We had the best stay here! it was clean, friendly and they have simply amazing staff, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff treated us so wonderful, we will be staying here from now on when we have to travel to Moncton
We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the breakfast . The ned was great! Close to lots of shopping and restaurants. Skyzone is close by for the kids. We will stay here again next time we stay in Moncton!!
All of the times that I stayed at the Best Western, I was pleasantly surprised, and well served. Courteous staff, clean rooms, and great breakfast! Oh and the bed....slept so well, so comfy! I had never stayed at a Best Western before starting my new job, and being the hotel that they go to..and I certainly do not regret staying there!
For anyone staying in any of the executive suites with your own parking, I would not move your vehicle to go anywhere or else your spot will be taken. It is inconvenient especially if you have a family of kids. Need to put signs up stating parking spaces are reserved or issue hotel member a tag for their vehicle to hang on rear view mirror.
The hotel was in a great location, close to a main shopping center. It had all the amenities a traveler would desire. The room was large and comfortable. The bed and pillows were great. Will definitely stay here again.
The staff was supper nice and professional, they upgraded my room beceause my room was not ready. The place was clean and well maintained, the pool was nice and water was at righ temperature, the parking was good, the breakfast consisted of sausage, scrabled eggs, French toast, bagels, cereal ect. I would recommend this hotel to all and as a bonnus its close to everything including the mall if your shopping.
Our swim team stayed here for a weekend swim competition in Moncton. I like BW's in general, they are all fairly standard - clean rooms, pool, breakfast included all the things families look for. This one is located about 2 minutes from Champlain mall and lots of options for restaurants. It's convenient for families who travel a lot for their kids sport. My only complaint was the late checkout...I stayed for 3 nights and they would only agree to 12 noon for late checkout... I've had better luck with other hotels and in the future will arrange as part of booking. When you have kids competing until 7pm and breaks in the afternoon it's nice getting a 1pm or 2pm or almost never happens - 3pm checkout. I was told they only allow 2 rooms for floor to get 1pm checkout and I was the 3rd).... live and learn :-)
We stayed at this beautiful hotel with a hockey team for a weekend tournament this past weekend. Hotel is beautiful and clean, we were all looking forward to a great stay. Usually when traveling with a hockey team, the kids can get rambunctious and cause disruptions but our team was very well behaved and was lights out at 8 pm (and even all the parents were in bed by 11pm both nights!) BUT The front desk staff approached my daughter and her friend (age 12&9) as they were leaving the second floor and coming down to our room on the first floor at 9:30 pm and told them that if they weren't in bed by 11;00 he was going to call the police. My husband was obviously not happy that this was said to the kids and spoke to the staff. The night auditor was a very helpful man and controlled the situation, all was good. Upon arriving home, we noticed a charge on our visa for $50. I called the desk and was informed our room was “trashed” and that we were charged for extra cleaning. This was appalling to hear!?! We are a very clean family of 4 and I assured her there must be some mistake. The general manager said she had seen the pictures of the bathroom and that there were “towels everywhere” (!?! Umm.. what am I suppose to do.. bring them to the laundry room before checkout!?!) and the bathroom garbage was overflowing..(the only garage in the whole hotel room..I'm sure it was full.) I'm so beyond frustrated to be treated this way. I have seen “trashed” hotel rooms before and this dear, is certainly not that. As a hockey mom of 2 who stays in hotels more than anyone ever should, I would highly suggest taking your teams elsewhere. There are many nice hotels in Dieppe/Moncton and they would probably appreciate our business. I know I've let our hockey association know that we will no longer be booking at this hotel.
The staff are very friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfy, the free breakfast was typical and good, hot, constantly replenished. The pool is nice, 3 ft in the shallow end and 4ft in the deep which was good for children. The only issue we had, was it was very loud until quiet time (around 11pm). The walls are very thin and when it is busy and you are trying to sleep with young kids, you can hear people walking upstairs and your neighbors very clearly. I would stay here again but if I had my kids I would ask for a room on the 3rd (top) floor at the end of a hall.
We had a great stay, staff was wonderful and accommodating for the huge number of guests ! Especially the huge range of girls (4-18!) girls were excited and partying, running the halls and filling the pools and the staff kept their cool and the towels stocked and really just helped keep it great for a fun weekend away! The elevator did break down, And the ice machine stopped working, we assume from the overuse of them, but it was still a great stay!!
Good expirence overall. Helpful staff, hot breakfast. Price was very reasonable at around 130 for the night which was a suprise for Ney Years Eve rates. Some kids running up and down the hall but it was not too disturbing and was not during quiet hours.
We stayed in one of the suits for my birthday and I was more than impressed. The room was nice, huge and super clean and the Jacuzzi was amazing. I have done nothing but rave about this hotel since we went and we will be back in the future for sure! The breakfast was tasty too, I loved that they had a make your own yogurt parfait station, it was a nice touch that was much appreciated!
Stayed here while visiting family in Moncton. Beds comfortable and quiet, but room not made up 2 of 4 nights of returning there to sleep. If you want warm breakfast options with cold milk, arrive early.
Always stay here when passing through this area. Meticulously clean hotel. Attractive exterior and interior. Has been the same staff each time and they actually remember you. Room very nicely decorated and comfortable. The bed had lots of pillows which allows for a good nights sleep. Good selection of food for breakfast and a clean cheery area to eat in. What more could you ask for?
I stay at this hotel alot for business. Over the 3 years coming here I've never had an issue. Its comfortable , in a great location and the staff are very accommodating. I also like the stable wifi and in room internet. Thanks BW!
This was our first time staying in the Moncton NB hotel and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we went up for my sons graduation from Oulton college and the staff made it amazing for us.
I take many roadtrips and always try to stay at a Best Western. I was so happy with being upgraded to a suite when I arrived. Joel at the desk was so friendly and made sure my room was ready and that I was happy with my stay. He spoke to me everytime I passed by, made me feel right at home! Good job Best Western Dieppe!!
We often stay overnight when we shop out of town and the Best Western in Moncton is a great place to stay. The beds are comfortable and the room and bathroom are always spotlessly clean. There was even a little note from the concierge wishing us a great stay with a happy face added :)
Very clean, good breakfast and close to everything...I would recommend..but no hot tub...pool was warm tho!! A couple of minutes to the mall, 10 minutes to the casino and less than 5 to the downtown strip where there a excellent restaurants and coffee shops.
I chose this hotel based upon excellent reviews, but despite the room indeed being furnished comfortably I had a horrible experience in the middle of the night, which totally ruined my night and my entire stay there and which I cannot believe happended, lest having happened to me: Choosing to sleep without the heater on, I was cold at night and after not finding a spare blanket like many hotels/motels provide, I took off the blanket from the second bed in the room (I was travelling alone, so slept in one of the two separate beds in the room) and whilst doing so I noticed something pink which weighed down on the white sheet which came off of the bed along with the the blanket. Instinctively I bent in closer to see what it was and I got this horrific whiff and view of VOMIT - DRIED PINKISH VOMIT (!!!) on the sheet. I could not believe my eyes and three days later I can literally still smell that disgusting stench in my nostrils. I could not believe my eyes (or nose), but was so tired that it didn't occur to me to call the front desk until the morning (big mistake). To make a very long story short, I called the front desk in the morning after a horrible night of hardly sleeping from the experience. The manager immediately came up to see what I was talking about, looked shocked at what she saw and of course immediately gave me a voucher for another night at any Best Western, but the damage was done - this was hands-down the worst night I have ever had at any hotel/motel. I also noticed that the bathtub had hairs in it. Obviously someone isn't doing their cleaning job or their supervision job at this establishment, as I cannot understand how on earth a bed could have been made with such a disgusting sheet, which got on the blanket, ofcourse.
As we were familiar with this location, we chose it as the last hotel experience on our maritime vacation. I reviewed this property a few years ago when we visited and not much has changed since. Basic rooms with decent staff and an average breakfast.
Never stayed in a Best Western PLUS before but we were so pleased with everything in the Moncton Best Western Plus from the comfort, breakfast, and WiFi...highly recommended! The front desk folks wee VERY friendly.
Another great Best Western, the room was large and clean as expected, we were tired after another long day in the car and ordered pizza, Had breakfast in the hotel before heading to Nova Scotia. The staff were help full and polite
The check in staff were well informed, cheerful, caring and a pleasure. The rooms are comfortable, and well equipped for the business traveler or vacationer. Hard wire internet hookups, lots of USB outlets, and of course comfort. The beds was extremely comfortable - and of course not having our own pillow - we always find it difficult to sleep on something we are not used to. The choice of a firmer and softer pillow was great. The breakfast was super. The only down side it the access from one direction on the street - nothing you can do about it - too bad.
When visiting in the Moncton area, we chose to stay at the Best Western Plus Moncton because (1) we like and trust BW Plus (2) it gave us freedom to move around the city and access highway #15 easily, as well as the airport, and because we feel comfortable and at home at BW Plus. Having a fridge and microwave helped control our food budget too! We found the staff friendly, co-operative, professional and very helpful at all times.
Wouldn't change a thing, everything was lovely. The pool was great, the room was very nice, breakfast was great, no complaints! Free parking and a good location as well. Very comfy bed, modern tv, nice Jacuzzi in the room as well.
People there need better training in how the deal with guests. They were unable to locate our reservations. Therefore, checking was a nightmare. It took forever to get a room. We still don't understand why when head office in Phoenix had no problem locating them. The overnight manager / desk person was extremely rude and belligerent. Breakfast buffet needs a major shakeup. Eggs were super bland and watery; even with copius amounts of salt. Not much choice. Not hot cereal at all. Just scrabbled eggs and over cooked me. We were not impressed. This after all was a BW Plus. Day manager was very professional and was very apologetic regarding the reservations screw up. We will never go back to this BW.
Far from international airport, did not see if they offered shuttle service. Very comfortable and pleasantstay , only 1 robe offered in room for guest, we were 2 guests. Had to call taxi to get to airportin very early morning. Close to downtown and right next to highway, would recommend for shure , good, bilingual service available
Love staying here for business or family travel. The Staff is always friendly and the Hotel is Always clean. It is close to everything as well...always my first choice when staying in Moncton. You won't be disappointed!!!
We visited this location during a family road trip. The hotel was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room was ready when we arrived and the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. The location was good for our purposes. We would recommend to anyone who is visiting Moncton.
Passing through Moncton, we needed a place to stay and this one jumped out on the list. It was a little hard to find only because the hotel is right beside the hwy and you focus on the other hotel across the street. Lots of free parking, off the hwy, right beside a mall (other side of the hwy) and close to downtown. As a runner, i was able to run through the mall parking lot down to the Chocolate River where they have a great trail along it. The room and bathroom were nice, the pool was a little chilly but the kids loved it. Hot breakfast was average for hotel breakfasts. Overall it was a good stay.
Very much what you would expect from a Best Western Plus hotel. Clean, yummy breakfast, good amenities. Good location too - could walk into what I deem was the "downtown" area for dinner or drinks. I would stay here again.
We stayed here 1 night on a family road trip. The staff was fantastic. The desk was efficient and friendly. The breakfast staff were also gracious and on the ball. I found the eating space far too small for the size of the hotel so it was packed with many looking for tables. Also my sink didn't drain well, a personal pet peeve more than anything. All in all decent value and a good stay.
This hotel is well located to many amenities just a few minutes from the airport, shopping center and the Main Street where there is plenty of restaurants to chose from. This clean hotel offers a hot breakfast and also has a pool. The service that you receive from the staff is exceptional.
This is a good hotel for staying while in Moncton. It is convenient to major transportation and we found the rooms comfortable and quiet. Need a car to get anywhere. We have difficulty finding the hotel roadside entrance because of poor signage at the ground level. It is partially obscured by adjacent buildings. Would stay hear again.
Clean, very nicely furnished hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and breakfast was probably the best complimentary breakfast I have ever had. Food was hot and delicious and lots of it.
My children enjoyed the pool. We had the suite and the king bed was comfortable. Room was clean. However, the sofa bed is not comfortable (very thin mattress and you can feel the spring). It was Ok for small children but not for an adult.
Very friendly check in and they accommodated my request to be on a certain floor of the hotel. Room was modern, clean, well stocked and the beds were very comfy. Pool was a little dated and cool but was clean. The complimentary breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly. Overall a very good stay. Would return.
Stayed here from April 30- May 2nd while on work travel. Loved it!! Beautiful spacious room, good hot breakfast. Good location, close to mall and not far from downtown. Would definitely recommend and will return!
I love to stay at Best Western Plus, the quality treatment from kind understanding staff ,never changes and this one in Moncton is no exception. I reported to a member of the laundry staff on our way to breakfast that the security lock on our door was very loose. By the time we returned from our very good breakfast, it had been repaired.
A clean, straight forward hotel that meets your traveling needs. The complimentary breakfast provides some excellent choices. The staff were helpful and professional. I'd recommend this as a place to stay if you are ever in the Moncton area.
Love staying here. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are nicely furnished and very clean. The hot breakfast was delicious plus many other continental choices as well. This hotel is in a very convient location for shopping, restaurants etc.
I stayed here recently with my kids. This hotel offers exactly what it should: decent rooms at affordable prices. As a plus, hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Free continental breakfast. Champlain Place shopping centre is just an 8-minute walk away.
Evey time we went to visit my daughter in Moncton, BW is always the place we would stay because of the price and the quality. We never had a bad experience there. Now we don't stay there as much because my daughter has her own place and we stay there now; but last week-end I was spending a week-end with a friend and we stayed at BW. As always, I was very satisfied with the service.
Do not book this hotel if you are in Moncton for a team event. It is clean and the day staff were pleasant, however they cannot cope with large groups. Our group was one of several teams staying at the hotel. We had requested a meeting room when we booked and were told none were available. The Hotel staff called the police at 7:30 in the evening on 7-9 year old little girls. We explained we had precleared our scavenger hunt/craft etc ... and then miraculously a meeting room was available. Our girls were in the meeting room until 10:30-11 then all in bed. At 8am our team manager was awoken to be told they had to comp rooms for others all night and if they received another complaint we were going to be removed from hotel.... however since our team was in their rooms we aren't sure who was causing the issue. Meanwhile...other teams from our area were at other hotels ... that were cheaper and the HOTEL STAFF were planning activities for the kids . This hotel has a vision of what they are...and a family hotel isn't it. We will skip the annual tournament before we stay here again.
Very nice spot, modern and clean, great pool if you have a 5-6 year old. Friendly staff and close to everything. This is what Moncton needs, smaller quality hotels in a centralized location. And plank flooring on the main room floors, much more healthy then old carpet.
I booked a 1 bedroom suite for my wife and I on our 5th wedding anniversary. We got there much later than anticipated, but the room was immaculate upon arrival. The front desk agent said Congrats on your 5th year anniversary. Anything we needed at all it was provided to us, the breakfast was wonderful, and staff overly helpful and courteous. We will stay there again no question.
Another winner for Best Western! Check in was less than 2 minutes and a very pleasant reception. The room was an executive suite and was very clean. The breakfast was sufficient, with a good variety. We didn't get a chance to use the pool as it was a quick trip. The place was very clean and staff all over were very happy, it seemed. I'd definitely add this hotel to your travel list.
Always enjoy my stay in Moncton at the Best Western staff are courteous and helpful. Rooms are clean and smell clean to comfortable bed is comfortable as welll and the breakfast is always nice hot and fresh
Check in was ok but the front desk clerk seemed a bit impatient. Was looking forward to a nice hot bath or shower, but there wasn't any hot water. In the morning I mentioned it to the front desk and they said it was a hotel wide problem. Then when we turned on the TV the cable was out. I'm told that was a Moncton wide issue. I'll look elsewhere next time.
I stayed here several times for doctors appointment in Moncton and I just love here it's always clean and friendly service with a great breakfast .with lots of parking and very close to everything..like the malls
Very nice newer hotel. It was very close to a busy roadway but did not find it noisy at all. Room was very clean and they had a very nice hot breakfast. The signage out front is very dark and hard to find driveway entrance on such a busy street, but once I found it had no issue when I returned after supper out.
Staff was great and very helpful. Hot Breakfast was a great touch to start the day off with. Great hotel but location gives it a bad exit. Getting into the parking lot for the hotel posed no issues however getting out during traffic hour times does create some issues with safety, but if one takes their time and is patient this should not be an issue.
Although the property is relatively new and looks great on their website and from the outside, different experience inside. Breakfast was cold, poorly presented and breakfast room was dirty. My room was dusty, not just a little bit of dust, you could write your name. The bathroom was not clean. The front desk employees (2/3) were rude as well. I'm not hard to please, I travel a substantial amount for work and never complain, but I feel the need for this particular property.
I have never stayed at a Best Western property before, I stayed here because of a Best Western promotion. I thought a Best Western Plus was on par with a Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn or Hampton Inn. It is anything but; this place was more like a motel. The front desk clerk at check-in was rude and strange, I travel extensively and I don't recall such a bad arrival and first impression. The room was small and dingy, the bed was uncomfortable and linens were worn-out. The room was not particularly clean either. I would not return and would not recommend. Much better options in the Moncton area.
room was extremely clean and inviting...excellent location, walking distance to a lot of other stores, restaurants etc.very helpful and friendly staff. rooms much better than you would expect from the outside appearance of the hotel...
My go to favourite hotel in Moncton, perfect location right next to shopping & restaurants ! Friendly hotel staff and affordable prices. Breakfast was delicious, overall it was a great stay. We will be back !
This is a very good hotel with nice rooms, friendly staff and a good breakfast. There is a nice pool available. The staff are very helpful and we have been offered our platinum level upgrade without any question. My only issue with the hotel is trying to find it at night. The large illuminated sign for the hotel is parallel to the road, not at right angles as most signs are. And it is high so it is seen from the highway level, not the street level. I have spoken to the hotel as to why they don't have a large illuminated sign at the entrance and the response is that the city won't let them have one. Anyway - once you find the entrance (if arriving at night) it is a great place to stay.
We had 12-13 rooms booked for young Hockey Team and the staff treated us great. They allowed the kids to be kids and they allowed them access to the pool, etc. I would recommend this Hotel to any sporting group looking for a place to stay.
Everything was great. Beds and pilllows are wonderful and make for a great sleep. Pool is okay, but no hot tub. Convinient walking distance to mall and restaraunts and NB liquor. Easy access to highways to take you to tourist destinations. Breakfast tasty but repetetive, three days same every day. Hot pancakes or waffles would be nice,
Nice clean place with friendly staff. I appreciate that they normally automatically offer me my diamond level upgrade without me having to haggle for it. Staying tonight in a suite, and it is beautiful.
I was very impressed by the helpful staff who upgraded my reservation and later recommended an excellent local restaurant. The room was very bright and comfortable. The breakfast was tasty and the woman who took care of things was “ right on the ball”.
Final night away before we arrive home. Stayed here a year ago, generally positive experience. Great location to our morning departure location. Many restaurants within 5-10 min. drive. Tricky spot to get out of at a busy time. Registration was quick and courteous in my language of choice(English). Room was large and comfortable. Everything worked well. Breakfast was okay, small space for a full hotel, some guests were directed to have their breakfast in the nearby conference room. Will stay here again, when in the area.
The room was superb, very clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast had a multitude of options and was delicious. One of the best hotels I have stayed in. I will be definitely be staying at this hotel again.
I felt the hotel was alright but tired! The towels and bedding were threadbare. The halls dark and the breakfast lacked freshness. The bathroom did not have any vents. The closet was tiny and in an awkward position. This hotel could use freshening up. It lacked vibe. The staff were plentiful and pleasant.
We booked on line and I requested a first floor suite due to mobility issues. Was given a room on third floor at far end of hall as far away from the elevator. When I called front desk was told there are no suites on first floor and if I had called the hotel directly would have been told this. The television and rogers service was not good. Breakfast was passable but the second morning no food and had to go to front desk and ask. The air conditioning units need the filters cleaned as the dust on furniture and in the air after the room was cleaned was terrible.
We stayed in this hotel (on the first floor) for our wedding anniversary and it was a great little spot! So convenient by the Champlain Place Mall and lots of restaurants and anything you'd want a 30 second drive away. The fitness center was okay, a treadmill, bike and elliptical with some free weights, just necessities. Not the best sleep, but there is a unit in the room that blows hot or cold air, okay for the most part, we may just be bad sleepers. Would likely return in the future.
Room was clean and breakfast was good. Pool area well maintained. Housekeeping made our room up early and that was appreciated. We would stay at this Hotel again. The hotel does have a Gym and it looked well equipped but I didn't try the equipment. The fridge kept our food cold but doesn't have a freezer. The ice machine on the main floor was well stocked.
Located very near a shopping Centre with Chapters , Walmart , Linen Chest , Bass Pro - just to name a few stores. The employees were very helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel. We will be back!
Staff at check-in were super friendly and offered choice of floor and room location. Provided advice on driving directions and local food services. Very clean rooms and good location to downtown and quick access to airport.
This is a newer building, well maintained and very clean. The staff were very helpful with all our needs. The complementary breakfast did not meet with my expectations and for that I would have to say that the value for the price is Average.
Front desk was great and very helpful in locating whatever was needed. Check in after a long days travel and greeted warmly. Suggested different eatery's after asking what I would like. Clean facilities. Would go back without a second thought.
The staff were very accommodating but the room felt a little dated. The lack of a fan in the bathroom was annoying. The breakfast space is very tight although breakfast was good. I might be inclined to look for something a little better next time.
This Best Western is very comfortable. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great and a nice variety. The hotel is also in walking distance to the Champlain Mall. Over all a Wonderful stay.
Nice Best Western Property. Room was Clean, Well Furnished, Coffeemaker, Microwave, Refrigerator, Large Flat Screen TV. The location is the best feature, Located next to Shopping mall, Bass Pro Shop and a variety of restaurants, all in walking distance. The Breakfast area is a little small, Hard to find a seat at busy times. Overall, a good stay.
I'm a big fan of Best Westerns this property is clean, with friendly staff and as always great beds. This hotel is located just a 10 minute walk away from Champlain Place Mall with easy access to the main Highway cutting threw Moncton/Dieppe so it's a simple choice for leisure and business guests alike.
Amazing hotel great service great staff clean and organized. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Love the deluxe room and the 24/7 coffee service. Everything was great and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied
It was really clean and the room was just the right size for us. The staff are smiley and always ready to help us. I highly recommand that hotel to anyone who goes at Moncton nb instead it is for work or vacations.
When we got to our hotel we realized that there was a sports team there, which is fine, but it meant that the pool was very busy, and we didn't get to enjoy it. The hot tub in our room wasn't working, and they called maintenance to come fix it, which lasted all of 10 mins, and then broke down again. The wifi was very slow. The rooms were clean however, and the bed was comfortable. They opened up a conference room for us to eat in as there weren't many seats available which was nice. I'm not sure if I would stay at this particular location again, but it was a clean hotel, and mostly the circumstances (team) that caused some inconvenience....
We were delighted to find this hotel just a very easy short drive from the downtown area where many restaurants were available to us. The room was large and beds very comfortable. Everything was clean, There were hot and cold breakfast items, though my husband did notice there were no waffles. We would definitely use this hotel again.
Best Western Plus in Moncton is worth every penny! We had great service from the moment we checked in until we left. The room was immaculate and so spacious! It was so convenient to all kinds of Moncton attractions and shopping. We will definitely stay there again!
Great location just off the main highway, close to shopping with a large mall just across the other side of the highway. Nice hotel, helpful staff at the front desk comfortable bed and a nice breakfast included. Been there last year and will be back next year.
Nice hotel in a great location and not too far from downtown. Our room was also upgraded for us because we are rewards members. The breakfast was nice but not a lot of seating is available so that could probably be improved. They also only have one elevator for the building.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. The best thing about this hotel was the location. It is right in the center of the downtown area, right beside the Champlain Mall. It's a great base to start from, to tour the area attractions. As for the room, we found it was very tight, with little extra space to move about. Although there was a fridge and safe in the room, there was no microwave. We were not pleased at all with the housekeeping staff, which seemed to be doing the bare minimum. The toilet for example had not been cleaned once our entire stay, and hadn't by the look of it, for some time. The breakfast area is smallish, and was always crowded. It had your standard breakfast fare, which we found to be good. Overall, at $170. for each night stay, we expected much more from this hotel.
Stayed here 2 nights. Great location right off the highway and close to mall and restaurants. Hotel is clean and newly renovated. Room is spacious and no issues. Staff was friendly. Would stay here again if we are in the area
Stayed here for two nights in July 2017 during a trip around New Brunswick. Positives: The staff was generally quite friendly. The location was good, being very close to the highway and amenities. Lots of parking. The rooms were fine. Nothing special. Negatives: The cleaning staff didn't throw out the obvious garbage in our room (an empty pizza box on the desk). I had to bring it out myself. The wifi was atrocious. It kept kicking me off the network every 2-5 minutes. By far the worst internet I've had in a hotel in Canada. When I asked about it, the staff said there was a network problem a few minutes earlier, but it persisted into the next day. I accidentally got onto the highway when trying to pull into the parking lot. Where to turn was not the most clear. Conclusion: Terrible wifi and a bad experience with garbage pickup left a bad taste in my mouth. It isn't a BAD hotel per se (which is why it got a 3 and not a 2), but I will never stay here again.
We arrived in the afternoon on Saturday and our room was ready. It was spacious and very clean. It is located near shopping, if that is important, and close to many restaurants and tidal bore park. The bed was super comfortable for me though others might have different ideas of comfort in a bed. We definitely would stay here again.
Very nice property and very nice room. Couple of issues. WiFi was a real pain and flakey, that's simply not ok in a hotel anymore for business or pleasure. Had an issue with ants but nobody else in our group did so we think it was a one-of. Property is nice, new interior and furnishings. Pool is kind of small if that's what your travelling for. Really like the drive up ability of our suite when lugging things for the kids etc. Staff was excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was good and again staff great.
This hotel was great! The location is great for mall, restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Highway close and 20 minutes from Hopewell Rocks, Magnetic Hill and other attractions. Clean rooms, professional staff who provided maps, brochures and directions to local attractions.
We stayed here for the long weekend. Positives: Location! It's located directly across from the mall and it's easily accessible. Easy check in and check out. Hotel was full but quiet - nice bed and good night's sleep. Negatives: The decor is odd. It's been updated but it's very very grey. Too much grey - the hallways are dark. It's not super inviting. Although that's just my opinion and doesn't affect the overall stay. Breakfast: The breakfast area is way too small for the amount of people. We were standing on top of each other at the counter. They ran out of food twice. First day they ran out of french toast, there was no yogurt, the next day they ran out of fruit and I didn't end up staying for breakfast. The breakfast options were a little disappointing compared to other best westerns. The breakfast worker, although a lovely lady, was complaining about the guests from the previous day to other guests. Not great. The pool is small and felt really crowded. There were no towels - we had to go ask at the front counter. Our room was nice, however, I noticed the shower curtain was mildewed and needed to be replaced. Our sink and bathtub seemed to be backed up because they weren't draining property. They cheaped out the office chair - it was flimsy and had no arms. I couldn't sit in the chair to do work. The arm chair in the room was hard as a rock. Also, my husband found a sock near the bed that wasn't his. Overall, this hotel is an average Best Western. Doesn't live up to the standards I expect from BW. It's more like a budget or travelodge at BW prices. Probably won't stay here again. There's lots of options in Moncton: Stay at the Fairfield - that place is amazing.
Very nice hotel but a little too expensive. We stayed at other Best Westerns that were 70.00 a night cheaper and rated just as good or better. If I stayed again I would be requesting a better rate . We have stayed there before but don't remember the price being that high
We stopped here on way from Saint John NB to Halifax. It was a good stop geographically that allowed enough time for Hopewell Rocks & Fundy National Park. The reason for my poor review is that this Best Western Plus had 3 issues within management control that they performed poorly: 1. Garbage cans at entrance overflowing and trash in our room from previous guests. The outdoor garbage can was never emptied during our entire stay, despite the large amount of trash that accumulated. Also there were empty beer bottles in our room upon arrival. 2. INTERNET is miserable. The worst wifi I've experienced at a hotel 3. Breakfast food was limited as French toast ran out out by 9:00am. The dining area was too small (no empty tables) and dirty. Positives: 1. Friendly front desk staff 2. Laundry washing machine & dryer on site 3. Accommodated our request for 1st floor room
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in Bridgewater & thought this hotel would be as lovely.. but unfortunately it was not. Our King suite was beautiful & clean & had its own drive up access door to each suite, very convenient. The bathroom was large & well laid out. Zero complaints about the room. The pool was very very small & needs updating! There were 7 people in it & it was crowded. No hot tub either The breakfast was very average & should be called " continental" as the hot items had run out by the time we got there... like at 830 am. The seating area was far too small.. like maybe 7 small tables squeezed into the breakfast area. This hotel needs some updates. Not all Best Western Plus are the same. Not sure we would stay here again
Had a one night stop in Moncton. This hotel was very nice and extremely convenient. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Although my one complaint was that the bananas were very green and could not be eaten for a few days.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and we stayed in the executive suites which looked quite newly done and was spacious for a family of 5. The breakfast was hot and plentiful, and they filled everything often. For family or business, great place to stay, only a few minutes from downtown. Would definitely stay again. Tip... if you don't want stairs or elevators, stay in the first floor. There is drive up parking, and it's a secure steel door to your room with card access to make in and outs easy.
Great location. Missed having a hot tub after lots of walking on our trip. Helpful, polite staff throughout. Easy to find - right off the highway. Newly redecorated room. Only complaint was dirty duvet.
They were rude. The internet stopped working for us and when we went to get help at the front desk, they were very rude and didn't believe us. The rooms were comfy, but when I asked for more towels I was told "How did you use the 4 provided already?" Well maybe because there were 4 of us staying in the room? I also remember booking with a CAA rate and when I asked about it during check out they told us it didn't exist so I ended up being charged way more than what I was initially planning on.. Will only stay at this location if I absolutely HAVE nowhere else to stay. Very rude staff.
This hotel offered our group of ten a fabulous stay during our trip. We were travelling as a sports team, and they were very accommodating. The rooms, and guest areas were clean, the staff was friendly, and the complementary breakfast was great. Would highly recommend this hotel.
I'm not sure that the room that we took is worth so much money!!!! Maybe it was because our room was behind the employees room, no view and a little bit noisy during the night. Room doesn't match the price. Thank you!
Good location, quiet, clean, good breakfast. Could use a few more ice machines and WiFi was a bit funky, but overall a good place. One could walk to the nearby mall but traffic is heavy. Have stayed here before and will stay here again.
Nice big room, had a huge hairball in the room and a spider!! Internet was terrible!!!! Bottle of shampoo was clearly used by a previous guest as it was 1/2 full...online the room available was 159.00 called to book and was told the room available was 171.00
You pay for an average motel type experience. The staff were friendly but the room small and aged. The door did not close well and the sink was blocked. Location was o.k. .but not many good restaurants in area.
Great location and would stay there again. We would have loved a hot tub to relax in after the long drive that day. But we also knew they didn't have one before we got there so no worries.Nice and close to restaurants.
Hotel difficult to get in and out of. Room was very cold. Bathroom was not clean and the bed sheets had washed tissues in them.Breakfast was good, but the service unprofessional. Server never stopped talking and complaining about working alone that particular morning.
I had a very relaxing stay at this Best Western. The room was clean and a decent size. It was my first time in Moncton and the staff was really friendly. Breakfast was also included which was a great bonus. There was free parking. This hotel is located very close to a shopping mall which was very convenient as well as a lot of restaurants and a gas station right across the street. I visited hopewell rocks, the magnetic hill, and even PEI (all by car) while staying at this location so it's a great spot! Would definitely stay there again!
The hotel staff are nice, the rooms very clean and comfortable. When we arrived at checkin I had already been upgraded due to I am a platinum member. Very good location close to major attractions and restaurants.
Great hotel! We had a 2 day conference in Moncton and stayed one night. Room was clean and spacious. Nice little pool! Close to mall, many restaurants and Theatre. Great stay! Wonderful complimentary breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is centrally located in Moncton. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice. Express checkout made the morning rush easier. I will be back for sure. There are many amenities nearby and the local map that they supplied was very helpful.
The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and the bed was them most comfortable I've slept in for ages!! The hotel is in an excellent and easy to get to location even if you are not familiar with the city.
We stayed here on our way home from Maine. The hotel staff are very friendly and our room was comfortable and clean. The wifi wasn't working the best and we were told they could give us a different access code and that might help but we were only staying one night so we were fine. The breakfast was good but the sitting area is a bit small. Convenient location for restaurants and shopping. We will stay here again.
We stayed a couple of nights at this hotel. It was very clean. Breakfast normal for a hotel. Very close by driving to a mall nearby. We could hear the freeway but it didn't keep us awake at all. Ask for the map to go to Hopewell Rocks as it bypasses all the city traffic. It was a very nice drive on country highways. Staff very helpful.
Good hotel but slow staff at check in. Shift change? Food average, confined breakfast area, friendly breakfast staff. Centrally located. Not as good as last BW we stayed at. Near lots of amenities. Would stay there again. Honoured CAA. Good rates.
The room was clean and well cared for. Location in town was convenient. The breakfast was ok, not a great selection of items. Was recommended a pizza location by the staff, we ordered from the location and the pizza never did arrive.
Enjoyed a short 2 night stay at Moncton BW. I would for sure stay here again. I found the property to be very well maintained and gives a very good first impression. The lobby is modern and well appointed. Check in was a breeze. The standard room I had was very clean. I found the bed and pillows very comfy. Lots of plugs to charge your devices. Shower had good pressure and bathroom clean. The closet was very small, and the TV/Cable was sub-par. Overall I was very happy with my stay and would return & recommend.
It was a short stay but very refreshing. Close to the University of Moncton and city center. A lot of parking spaces. A clean hotel. A place to be in Moncton in the lobster season. Thank you and see you next time.
I stayed here 2 nights in May 2017. I was checked in very efficiently but was handed my room key with no information. I hadn't stayed in the hotel before and had no idea where my room was, what time breakfast was served etc etc. I had a King room which was a good size and clean. I was on the first floor next to the laundry room. Not a significant issue except quite loud after 7AM (I was already up both days). An oddity - the room floor titled toward the last 6 feet of the room, including the bathroom. It was an odd sensation. Wifi was good. Hotel was relatively quiet even though I was quite close to the lobby. Breakfast area is small, and food is standard 'free breakfast' fare. Not sure I would pay a standard rate to stay here though. There are better options. However, on my discounted business rate it is worthwhile.
Stayed in an executive suite here recently as I was attending a convention at the kay arena. The hotel was located nicely for this trip as it is just off the highway and minutes from the arens. Pros - The hotel and suite were clean. - I found the parking convenient as the executive suites also have an outside card accessed door. - The executive suite is large. - The executive suite had 2 televisions. - The bed and bedding were comfortable. Cons - The staff were not overly friendly. - There was only 1 ice machine near the lobby which is inconvenient for the executive suite section. - When booked the web site stated the suite was to have a fireplace and this was confirmed when I called hotel directly the previous day to confirm my reservation but the suite did not have one and was told by staff it has not for a long time. - The hotel does not offer on demand movies which is odd. - The included breakfast was not of high quality. Overall I might stay at this hotel again and may or may not recommend it. If the staff were more friendly, they had in the suites what is advertised, and they offered on demand movies I would definitely stay again and recommend it.
The BW+ is on the higher end of the discount hotels. There is a small fitness room and small pool. Breakfast is included and although it is all the standard items, it's all pretty tasty. It is busy unless you get there early. The room was clean but not properly stocked. We had little toilet paper and no extra roll. The room was an interesting shape with a separate living room, bedroom and the bathroom in between. A minor complaint was that the door to the bedroom didn't stay open and we had to use a shoe to keep it from closing. The bed was comfortable. The room comes equipped with all the usual things you'd expect including a mini-fridge and safe. I see reviews critical of the staff. We had very limited interaction but what we did was all fine. The hotel was packed with a volleyball tournament but we heard no noise at all, and our room was on the first floor.
This hotel is the perfect stop over place if you only need a night or two. The service was prompt, polite and helpful. The bed were the softest I'd ever slept in. My 10 year old wanted to take the mattress and pillows home! The rooms were on the small side but very clean. The bathroom was a good size although there didn't appear to be a fan so the room got hot quickly after a shower. The only issue I had (and admittedly minor) was the small room size and small breakfast area. Yes, you can eat outside but the location being off the highway doesn't make for a quiet experience. So if the hotel offers a breakfast that's complimentary it would be great not to be elbow to elbow with another guest. But really that's it. Otherwise it is a very nice hotel, and I would stay there again if in the area.
My son and I stayed here during a hockey tournament in December and very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel was close to the mall and Brass Pro Sop (so that made my son happy). Very comfortable sleep and clean room.
This was a overnight stay in Moncton to get a bit of shopping done and relax for the evening. Check-in was friendly and fast. The room was basic with two queen beds and a small fridge. The coffee maker cord couldn't reach the outlet from the table. Beds were comfy. Room was reasonably clean. We enjoyed a nice quiet evening to relax. We asked for extra towels at the time of booking and were happy to see them when we entered our room. Check-out was friendly and efficient. We are staying again for three nights in July.
Terrible management and rude staff. Over priced for the quality of the rooms, would not recommend. You will receive noise complaints when making minimum noise. Staff do not take anything seriously. I would have rather slept in my car.
We left ourselves with only a few hours before an early morning flight so we had to sleep fast. Rae room and bed were so comfortable that we did manage to get a restful sleep even though we only had 3 hours to do it on.
We're big fans of the best western chain, we stay at them often while away for work meetings. This is not the first time we've stayed at this hotel however it may very well be our last. We reserved two separate rooms for this stay, a king jacuzzi suite in the executive wing and a double queen room. Both rooms were relatively clean with the exception of our jacuzzi tub which I cleaned myself because there was hair and black bits on the bottom. We could not get in the pool during this stay because the entire time we were here it was filled which is beyond anyone's control I guess. My husband went to the front desk to buy a bag of chips and they refused to give him back his change so he chalked it up to them needing it more than we did. The lady working the breakfast got snappy with us because we didn't know the pancake machine was broken and we had tried to use it, she then proceeded to tell us why it didn't work, that the wrong part was ordered, where it was ordered from and her entire life story. Quite unprofessional. Even upon checking in the front desk clerk was very short with us and appeared to be judging us-- now I really do hate to say this but it makes me wonder if it's a reaction to race. The one positive experience I had was when I went to the front desk this morning to ask for a pen and paper, the lady working was extremely pleasant and helpful! (And no fault of her own but isn't there supposed to be a pen and paper in each room anyways? Which I believe is housekeepings job so that makes you wonder if they can't replace simple items what else is being missed?) If you're looking for a place to take a nap and don't plan on speaking to anyone I guess this is the place. Beds are comfy, rooms are spacious, breakfast has a variety of yogurts, cereals, fruits, juice, bakery items, eggs and sausage.
The hotel was clean, free breakfast was great and the staff were awesome! The decor was a little dated but that didn't impact the overall quality of our stay. Our room had a mini suite which included a microwave, mini fridge, toaster and counter area.
Great location, beds were very comfortable. Pillows were amazing! I could have liked to have more towels left in the room. I wish that had of been something available more for smaller kids. Like a play room with some climbing structures.
I highly recommend this Hotel, staff is great, comfortable room and included breakfast is a great added value as well as good food. I have stayed here for business and family events, all have been excellent.
When I am in Moncton I often stay at the Best Western Plus. The location is great; close to all the places I have to visit. It is close to schools and the university. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good and there is a good variety. I always look forward to my stays it is something I don't have to worry about even though my job can be stressful.
Inside was better than outside, not the usual BW big place, room was very nice. Hate it when the ice machine is only in lobby, easy to find, excellent price, parking included which is surprising since at other hotels in area charge for parking
We stayed here before our trip to Jamaica. They allowed us to leave our car free of charge which was great. The day we arrived we had issues with mistakes on our booking and receipts etc. The staff was not overly helpful. The next day when we checked out the night staff had to fix mistakes still not done from the day before. Our room was clean and updated.
The hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful. The cooling/heating systems in the room was very noisy, and it would shut off with a loud thud. Road noise was also an issue, even with the window shut you could hear vehicles on the road, the hotel is located at the end of a highway, so vehicles a slowing to enter a traffic circle, and Moncton is a transportation hub so many tractor trailers are on the roads around the city. The pool is very small and shallow, and the exercise room has only 5 machines. The free hot breakfast is seriously over crowded, and the poor lady working by herself was over worked. So again, very clean, nice staff, and have breakfast else ware.
First time visit at this hotel. Very excited to visit as the photos look Incredible. I was very bothered by the day staffs attitude. I called to ask about early check in and after being in hold for 5 min. The lady was rude and said she couldn't because my room wasn't ready. After asking when it would be ready she still couldn't tell me, just said to call back in an hour. I waited almost 10 min at the front desk to check in when there was only 2 people in front of me and 2 people working. I was not acknowledged after they finished with the guests until few minutes later even with 2 employees working. The room was okay, however I requested a cot 2 days before and still had to check if I could get one the day of. The reason i called ahead of time was to make sure I was able to get a cot. There was also a blood stain on our duvet. I also asked for a late check out at 12, when I called they said they cant give me an answer but to call in the morning, again, another inconvenience. The breakfast was very disappointing. And the staff had a poor attitude. The hotel itself is very nice, however the staff were not at all accommodating to my requests, that were very simple.
We stayed here because we attended the Boat show in Moncton. Good shopping nearby. Bass Pro shop across the street. Sears mall close by as well. There is also a Costco down the street a little further.
check in and out was quick, room was nice but if you take a double bed room were tight for space, breakfast was great, place was clean,a little noisey till 4 in the morning but you can expect that at times, overall stay was good.for the value
Rooms, beds were very comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful. Location was perfect in relation to shopping. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Hotel amenities were clean. The usual superior hotel that I've come to expect of the Best Western chain.
The lobby is small and the breakfast room off to one side. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The rooms are pretty standard North American size and there is nothing unusual about them - they are clean and functional. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are quiet ensuring a good night's sleep. The bathrooms are the usual size and everything was in excellent repair. The hotel is close to major shopping and gas stations. The breakfast is the usual BW fare with eggs, waffles, fruit, etc. The breakfast room is a bit small and some people take their food back to the room or eat in the lobby at peak times. Lots of parking and easy access back on to the Trans Canada Highway.
We enjoyed our two night stay at this hotel. Renovated recently, the room are comfortable and clean. Reception was acceptable and the morning serve yourself breakfast nothing more than what is required (egg beater scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, good coffee, bacon, jam, etc.) but met expectations.
I stayed here last week on my way back from Cape Breton. It was OK. No real bells or whistles. The room was clean, BUT the bathroom had one issue. Being a guy, we lift the seat when using the toilet for a #1. Well this toilet seat had issues. There was red and black/brown colors on the bottom of the seat. Urrrggghhhh ...... Yuck !!! Even though this is small issue to some; too me, it's a huge issue. Firstly, it should be any easy thing to clean ( believe me, it was; I immediately cleaned it up ). Secondly, how can you miss this while thoroughly cleaning a room !!! Secure parking is limited. Location is so so. There was a few other things; but small and not worth mentioning. I guess I was just a little jaded over the toilet seat. All and all; it was fine. Probably wouldn't stay here again.
The staff were great and the rooms were just amazing. Most comfortible bed I have slept in for years. The complimentary breakfast was exceptional. Over all I would rank this a top place to stay at while in Moncton
great value and location when staying in Moncton either for a concert or shopping. Breakfast included and free wifi is an added bonus. Rooms are very clean and decor is modern. Staff are friendly and provide any info you made need for the area.
When traveling to the Moncton/Dieppe area, we make every effort to book a room at this BW. The property is convenient to our family, area attractions, and business meetings. Breakfast room offers a wide selection, the fitness room and pool allow for exercise, and the in room wifi and computer in the lobby make checking email, etc. convenient. The staff is most professional and seems to serve guests in both official languages with ease.
No problem with the hotel, but watch the price quote carefully when booking online with BW. I got a US dollar price on a Canadian property - about a 25% difference. I didn't notice this until I checked out and then it was too late as I had 'agreed' to the rate at check-in.
We stayed at this hotel after staying in two other Best Western Hotels in Maine. Aside from the fact that this is a fairly new hotel, it was the cleanest of the three. It was certainly nice to stay in a newer hotel. Beds were really comfortable, staff were great and the breakfast was awesome. The lady that looks after the Breakfast Room is definitely an asset to Best Western. Very pleasant, kind and efficient. Well done to all the staff.
Spent this weekend at the Best Western Plus in Moncton, the accommodations were lovely, clean and staff were friendly. However, I was disappointed in one aspect, I am a Best Western Rewards member and when I was planning my trip I looked on line at prices. I am most comfortable booking directly with the hotel so I called and asked for the "preferred" rate that was on line. I was told "Sorry you have to book on line to get that rate". This morning at check-out I mentioned this to the gentleman waiting on me, he informed me there was indeed a discount and if I had asked "him" for it when I called he would have accommodated me....but since I had paid my bill I guess he didn't feel it would be a nice gesture to say, "However I can discount that now"...No, just sorry. Well sorry seems a little lame - I thought membership in an awards club would have meant I automatically got a discount, apparently Best Western doesn't feel that loyal customers are worth that extra 15-20% discount that they can get by booking through a third party. Like I said, the hotel is definitely lovely just disappointed in their booking policy.
I really appreciate the consistency whenever I stay in this location. Very positive upgrades and location is so convenient. Always my first choice for Moncton. It had been a couple of years since my last stay and I look forward to my future booking a few weeks time.
This gets a one only because of the rude employees at the front counter. We spent one night here on a road trip. The facility is very clean and adequate. Rooms are nice size and beds comfortable. We left before breakfast, so I cannot speak to that. One thing I can speak to though is the staff at the front counter. When checking in, I waited about 15minutes while 2 clerks were gossiping. They did not even look up. Another clerk was busily typing on her computer and also did not look up. There was a maintenance man standing there just looking out into the ether. After asking if anyone could check me in, one of the gossipers said the one typing would do it. I eventually was checked in, but was told to wait 10 min for the room to dry as they had just finished cleaning it - the room is fine, so I assume the folks who clean them care about their jobs. I later went back to get ice – since the only ice machine is on the first floor in the lobby – and asked a fellow at the front counter if this was the only machine. He was eating a banana and could only nod his head yes. If I owned this property, I would fire the manager and the front counter staff immediately. They are rude and inattentive and it lays at the feet of the manager. The facility is fine if you can ignore the rude people at the front counter.
Very clean place, efficient service, Very quiet, well located. Lots of stores near by. Good breakfast in the morning. Nice pool. First time there, but considering to go back. Had easily a room change from prior reservation. Staff very friendly.
Drove from Brooklin ME to Moncton NB and checked in. Staff was nice and helpful. This hotel is a good value for the money and I would certainly stay here again. Asked a lot of questions which front desk staff answered and offered a bunch of insights for things to do in the area
First nite was a single queen room,Nice but small tv,Breakfast had NO variety.powdered eggs and warm sausages.Second nite we had 2 double beds but the room smelled like sweat.Same boring breakfast. Would rather stay at Comfort Inn !!
This was the first hotel that we recently stayed at when we entered Canada. It was very nice and we found a great place to eat while staying their. We love microbreweries and find they have great food so we went to the Pumphouse brewery close to our hotel. Great food and beer. They had a really neat made to order pancake machine for the breakfast. Push a button and a custom pancake was made just for you. Every hotel should have one of these machine. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
This hotel was situated near the highway and close to a shopping centre. It made it easy to get to downtown and to visit the Bay of Fundy. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. The only problem was the breakfast area could have been larger as some guests were not able to find a place to sit; however, they were accommodated in the conference room across the hall. It was a quiet friendly place to stay! Marlene
We just had a quick overnight on our way through, but the suite with the separate room was exactly what we needed. With a toddler and newborn one challenge is keeping things quiet through mid-night wakeups - and the door to the separate bedroom was very sound proof. The king bed was very comfortable, and having the pullout in the main area worked well. Also, each area had it's own flat screen which was nice. Breakfast was ok - we were there by 9 so crowds weren't a problem. We didn't use the pool so I can't comment. Staff were friendly. We'd stay again.
Super friendly staff, clean hotel and rooms. Good breakfast choices, easy internet access and free parking Room are spacious, well laid oout and clean. Conveniently located with several restaurant choices.
One double bed for two people in this day and age is not a good industry standard for a chain of Hotels that have such a good reputation. I would think twice and carefully before booking a room again. I'll likely lose my rewards card but certainly was not pleased.
Enjoyed our short visit to Moncton and found this hotel offered clean, upgraded rooms at affordable prices. Good breakfast variety although they offered limited facilities ie..no sauna or hot tub. Reception staff on duty could have paid some attention to other patrons rather than have 2 staff members focussed on 1 customer.
I was only there for one night so I didn't explore the whole hotel. My only two complaints were: 1) My bathroom sink was blocked; the water took forever to drain so it would get gross when brushing your teeth or washing your face 2) The bathroom soap smelled terrible and made the whole washroom smell like urine Other than that, the rest of the room seemed clean. But perhaps if I'd stayed longer, the issue would have been fixed by staff. The ones I encountered seemed very nice. The room size was quite large and the bed was comfortable. The location seemed central to getting to other tourist destinations like The Hopewell Rocks/The Bay of Fundy, if travelling by car. And also you are walking distance from the mall.
Nothing special - just your average best western. It's not as nice as other bw plus in other cities, but it was clean. I found the breakfast area a little cramped. There aren't very many tables available so I just took breakfast to my room and ate it there.
A very clean newer hotel with a faster wi-fi than we have at home. Excellent breakfast, gas and shopping nearby (and an incredible restaurant....Tony' Bistro within (2) miles). The room had a fridge but no microwave, curiously. Lots of parking, easy in and out. We recommend it.
We stayed here while checking out the Moncton area. We did the Magnetic Hill & Went to see the big Lobster statue. Did a little shopping. Had a great dinner at St. Louis Rest. in Dieppe. In morning we headed to PEI.
We loved our room at this hotel. Bed was so comfy. Enough room in the bathroom to put things and nice towels. Breakfast was good. We did quite a few day trips from this hotel and found it easy to get in and out of.
stay here a lot and very pleased with service, rooms well appointed and clean, the staff are second to none, always helpful and go the extra mile maybe because im a regular but seem that way with anyone when you walk by the desk.best bang for the buck in Moncton, close to eateries and shopping
I was in town for business and my daughter was attending a course so we stayed 5 nights. The accomodations were great, staff was friendly and ammenities met our needs! The pool area could use extra ventilation but otherwise no complaints and I'll be sure to stay again next time I'm in town.
this is a great spot to stop with kids---the breakfast is more than ample, and the staff are very friendly--close to restaurants, grocery store etc---has coffee maker, fridge, and micro wave in the rooms- centrally located and the rates for summer are good--would suggest you book in advance...
Great for the budget conscious; free breakfast was good (eggs, bacon, pancake making machine); free parking. We stayed here for one night during a trip to PEI. Rented a car to drive to PEI and then drove back. Saw the Tidal Bore while visiting Moncton.
Great hotel. Big fan of Best Westerns. The continental breakfast was nice. Friendly staff. Heated pool was way to warm though. The room felt like a sauna. Love that it was so close to all the places we visited. Comfortable bed :) Would stay again.
Noise all night, multiple calls to front desk with no avail and no food at breakfast. Disappointing. Offered a free night stay for retribution which was a kind gesture of, we return. We're from an entirely different province and wouldn't want a do over. Thanks anyways.
We travel up and down the I95 corridor in the US and throughout New Brunswick and the Maritimes; therefore, we have put down for the night in many hotels (and usually a BW). With BW we can be sure that we will find a clean, comfortable room as well as a pleasing staff and breakfast no matter where we are. Moncton's BW provides these things and more. With family in Moncton, we travel to the city several times a year so we were familiar with the hotel. Because a standard room was not available this particular weekend, we opted to spend a bit more and stay in a suite as it was a special occasion. The room was luxurious.
I stayed at this hotel because of a free night earned during previous stays with Best Western Plus. I really have no complaints. The room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary fbreakfast was great. Particular praise goes to the lady working the breakfast area that morning. It was extremely busy and there was no room to sit but she made sure I was aware that the conference room was being used as extra space. She was very personable and hard working and I want to make sure your management is aware of her qualities.
The hotel has been renovated and was modern and clean. We stayed in a suite and enjoyed hardwood laminate flooring, good amenities, and a comfortable bed. We used the pull out sofa and it was made, with extra blankets and pillows in the closet. We went to magnetic hill and did all the attractions around there. This hotel is a bit far from there but the location seemed alright and the rooms were quiet. Good pool that was warm enough for the entire family but no hot tub.
We travel quite a bit. I rarely make notes on this site. But today, I MUST. Kids and I passing through Moncton today. I made last minute changes to this reservation, made a mistake on my other reservation and THEN also requested another room; and this hotel was completely willing and able to go the extra mile to help me out! Special THANKS to Rene at the front desk for your consideration today! The hotel is very clean, nicely updated (photos on this site don't even look like the same hotel), and was a lovely and warm environment.
We stayed here during a recent soccer tournament. This property was chosen for its location; proximity and ease to the soccer pitches, restaurants and shopping. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and the towels changed every day. Except for one male desk member, the staff was friendly. Complimentary breakfast was a big hit with the girls and parents alike. The air conditioning worked well in our room which was necessary for the very hot days. The other bonus was each room had a mini-fridge to keep our bottled water cold. Complimentary WIFI is always important to the team members to keep up-to-date (don't tell the Coach!!). It worked well for us.
This hotel is why we primarily stay at Best Westerns. The room was clean, modern, everything worked as it should, comfortable bed, and a very nice and welcome jacuzzie. The front desk staff was good but could have been friendlier. They took care of my check in, but carried on with their personal conversation. Doing their job but not really being a good host.
We got everything we expected... but no more... indoor pool, complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi, comfortable and clean room. I used my air miles... but having to pay, I don't think this hotel would be my first choice in Moncton. Pool is small, internet connection not that great. The man at reception who served us was very cold and not much helpful... we got better service later from other clerks. We enjoyed the breakfast, which offered a nice choice of food and the bed was very comfortable. However, the price seems a bit high comparing to other hotels around, which offers the same type of comfort and services, with larger pool and hot tub, for a lower price.
We recently stayed at the BW+ in Moncton over the Canada Day long weekend and were happy with our choice -- with one caveat: the room we were in was right next door to the laundry area, so it was a bit noisier than we would have preferred due to voices in the hallway earlier in the morning than we wished to be awakened. I did speak to management and they requested the staff to keep the hallway conversation volume down and it did improve the next morning. Although we enjoyed the Jacuzzi, king-sized bed, fridge, and microwave in room #104 we would not choose to stay in it again for that reason. The complimentary breakfast offered was great all three mornings of our stay. There were eggs, sausages or bacon, several varieties of cereal, yogurt, breads, muffins and juices. Being lactose sensitive, I was especially pleased to see that almond milk was an option. A shame that the pancake maker was out of order for the duration of our stay. Cecille, the lady who appeared to be in charge of the breakfast area, was amazing and always friendly and bustling. There is a pool, but we didn't have an opportunity to check it out. The hotel itself is nice and close to the highway and it was easy to get around. The front desk staff members we dealt with were all helpful and friendly. While nice and close to the malls, this hotel would not be a good choice for someone who wanted to be within staggering distance to the downtown bar scene. The three main things that we look for the most -- accommodations that are clean, comfortable, and convenient -- met our expectations. We would stay here again.
All in all always a pleasant stay. Fresh Look and feel since my last Visit, and find this is great location for getting around greater Moncton Area. If anything breakfast could be a bit better. Staff helpful and rooms always clean.
Stayed at the Best Western while in Moncton. The hotel was nice. The room was large and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Free parking, breakfast and wifi is also great. The breakfast was good. It included lots of muffins, fruits, croissants, cereals, yogourt, eggs, sausages. There was also a pancaje make which was great! The only thing that i wasn't too happy about was the location. It was a little off the city if you don't want to drive.
The room we had was very dated. The TV was not High def. (this bugs me more then most people). The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The issue I have is that I stayed at the Hampton in Moncton two nights after this hotel and paid $10 more than this hotel and the Hampton was far newer, more modern and just much nicer overall for a little more money.
Very nice place to stay, comfortable, modern and Great staff. I would recommend a stay here if you are in the area, pool temp could have been a bit warmer but it wasn't terrible either, I am a bit of a warm water kinda person...
We always return to this hotel whenever we need accommodations in Moncton. We've consistently had excellent service and staff. We particularly appreciate the value for money at this establishment. The location of this Best Western next to Champlain Mall is a prime feature.
This is an older hotel that has had some renovations done. The lobby area is stylish and modern looking. The room I had was modern but from the wood on the door and cabinet I could tell it was older. The room was clean, the beds also comfortable. The hotel provides a continental breakfast containing cereal, yogurt, eggs, sausage, toast, beagles, muffins and pancakes. Simple but good. The location is ideal, very close the the shopping mall.
Of all the hotels that we have ever stayed at this one has been the worst experience. We were here for four nights and unfortunately for us there are also some kids sports teams booked as well. There was so much noise from the kids playing ball in the hallways and running up and down that we did not get much sleep. There was not enough space in the breakfast area to accommodate the guests at breakfast so we had to take our food to a conference room that was being used for storage. To add to our displeasure our room did not get cleaned or bed made on one of the days of ou stay.
Great location, clean room, professional service, delicious breakfast...but when it comes to wh/ch friendly...my room was just fair. The bed was on a raised platform/frame which was very difficult for transfers. Way to much furniture with-in the room which makes it hard to wheel around in my chair. Bathroom door opened out and hid all light switches to the room. And that dreadful carpet on the floor makes it impossible to push wh/ch. But to be possitive... the wheel-in shower is done correctly. So over they can improve these special needs rooms for ALL the people who travel to and fro with mobility issues.
We stayed for one night. Check-in service was fast and friendly. Our room was nice and clean with simple décor; and, overlooked the rear parking area and was quiet. The beds were comfortable. Check-out was also fast and friendly. Staff are very helpful. The breakfast buffet was o.k. but I didn't eat find anything that I felt like eating so enjoyed a cup of tea. We would definitely would stay here again.
Although I try to stay at as many Best Westerns as possible, this time was special, I was offered a complementary upgrade without having to ask! That is great service and makes me want to come back. They also had wine glasses in the room to booth. I don't like to drink wine from a plastic cup! Cheers!
If you wanna be in the middle of it all this is a good place! The hotel is nice and clean and so are the rooms. Pool is a bit on the small side. Located close to mall and right off the highways that lead you to all the shopping spots. Most places in Moncton take 10 minutes to get to...
Although the hotel was fully booked it remained quiet which was great. Rooms were spacious and the beds were amazing! Very comfortable. The pool area was nice but a hot tub would have made it better, and breakfast had a nice selection. We will definitely stay again.
we arrived late in the evening to a very friendly welcome at front desk. Our room was very clean. After travelling all week it was the best sleep I had. The bed there was the most comfy bed I have ever slept in at a hotel! Breakfast was wonderful, lots of variety. Staff all very friendly and front desk very helpful when asking for directions. even supplied us with a little map of the surrounding city. Help us manouver the area with ease. I rate this Best Western one of the best I have stayed in. Whenever we are in Moncton again we will be sure to stay again!!
No complaints with this hotel. It was clean, staff were friendly- especially the nice lady that ran the breakfast, the pool was nice and not too busy, and it was close to shopping! We had a great time staying here for a family fun night. Hats off to the staff at Best Western!
I cannot thank the manager enough for accommodating our booking through airmiles. We had redeemed for a junior suite, only to find out that for pets we were required to have an executive suite. To not disappoint they upgraded us without cost. Very clean and comfortable rooms.
My wife and I along with our daughter and her friend spent a night here while in the area for a sports event. The hotel was close to the venue and is very close to the mall in fact we could see the store front of the new Bass Pro Shops as it was about to open. The rooms are clean and the beds was comfortable with the only drawback was pillows that went flat through the night. The bathroom was clean and decent for space as I've been in hotels where the bathroom was tight as in the door barely has enough room to open past the flush but this was not the case here. Other than the TV and desk area it was a basic room. The free breakfast was good and there was plenty of places to sit. This area is just off the front door/lobby and at times I think could be cold in the winter with the front door opening. The indoor pool area was just off the lobby area as well and it was good for a dip or to keep the kids happy before going to bed. The nicest option is being walking distance from the mall. The street is very busy but our teen kids were happy being able to walk over to the mall. Also around this area are a ton of restaurants from fast food to pubs and sit down I give this place very good mark and would probably be 4 1/2 stars if that was an option. The staff were friendly and the room/building was clean and well stocked. A place I would stay again.
We booked a group block and had excellent service. There were many groups in at the same time as we were so check in was a tiny bit slower than normal, but understandable seeing the groups in over the weekend. Front desk staff were excellent - especially Bernie - the night auditor. Bernie's customer service was beyond any I've experienced before. The breakfast is sufficient and the staff in the breakfast kitchen were friendly and kept supplies up. There is a bakery just up the street called McBuns which you must visit - unbelievable. Thanks BW and Bernie!
Great place, close to malls and downtown, easy access to main highway. Lots of good restaurants within 110 to 15 minutes away. Good bed, clean, good breakfast. Front desk people need to be a bit more friendly and helpful.
March break... we were all at home and the weather was wet and muddy... Could not snowshoe or do other out door activities, so we went to Moncton to see the Wild Cats take on the Sea Dogs... Great game, lots of action and solid playing (no fights). Did some shopping too, next door to Bass Pros... Great dinner at Montana's... All in all a great Stay-cation in NB.
Rooms are very clean and spacious. Close to the area's shopping mall and city centre. Off the mayor highway that brings you all over the various parts of the city. Stays at the best western are always comfortable and homey rooms. Hotel is fairly new.
On a pleasure trip with my daughter, it was fun to have an upgrade to a suite with a king bed(daughter loved that) and as I had forgotten my phone in my room and had to turn back, I called ahead and an obviously super busy receptionist took the time to make it known that it was no imposition and the phone was at reception as I walk in 10 minutes after I called:-) the extra mile that made the difference. Room was clean and well appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. it was a good stay overall!
I think the guys name on the desk was Jeremy. Was so friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was good, the room was comfortable. I never got to try out the pool, because there were so mannnnnny kids (March break). They should consider putting in a hot tub, but its not a show stopper.
Hotel was full of young hockey future stars but we did not hear any of them in room 301. Breakfast was good and hot. It was March Break so the pool was full, I would not expect anything less. I will be back when I need to stay in Moncton.
The hotel is clean, the hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, and the facility is conveniently located to the main highway and has easy to access the rest of the city, and the airport. I would certainly stay there again
This hotel is close to the mall, also not a far drive to other things. Rooms are nice and clean and there is a good breakfast. The only downfall I had was a couple summers ago when we stayed. There were baseball teams staying there, and the kids were running up and down the halls screaming. Drove me crazy, but not the hotels fault, the parents should have been paying more attention. Overall though, a good place to stay.
Just left Moncton after a few days for March break... it was a very pleasant stay. Check in was good.. rooms clean and comfy. Kids enjoyed the pool. Hot breakfast was really good and free. The dining room was clean and the staff very friendly. My first stay here and I would definitely return.
I stayed at the Best Western in Moncton for 5 nights. The hotel is clean with a hot breakfast included. Breakfast is buffet style with a small selection but acceptable. The room was clean but the housekeeping service was not what I have seen before in Canadian hotels. They monitored my shampoo and soap usage and only replaced the small bottles when they decided there was not enough left for a shower. So on day 4 they gave me a new bottle of shampoo and conditioner and a new soap. The small bottles were quite empty by then and the soap was almost see through. I have never seen this before, if company had stayed over or I had taken an extra shower I would have run out of shampoo and soap. Also after cleaning the room they neatly stacked the pillows that had fallen off the bed on the floor, they didn't put them back on the bed. Very strange way to do things. The bed was however very comfortable:)
This is a BW Plus Hotel. Rooms are OK. Telephone shower head would be appreciated. Fitness room is small but equipped with new machines. Like many hotels the pool is not a training facilities, merely a relaxing facility. Rate are a bit too high for that kind of category hotel. Breakfast room is a bit small during rush hours.
This hotel is ideally located near Champlain Mall for shopping in Greater Moncton. The rooms are excellent and well maintained. Free hot Breakfast with room rate is a plus. The service was outstanding.
The room was very nice, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Breakfast was great. Staff very friendly. If you enjoy a relaxing bath, the tub is a good size. Excellent location. Mall nearby, Bas Pro, Movie Theatre, lots of restaurants to choose from. No complaints!!
Despite the very packed hotel and the horrid road conditions (snow) in the area, staff went out of their way to ensure my comfort. Room was comfortable. Much needed rest. Thanks. Will stay there again. Very close to the mall.
We had the Jacuzzi suite, and it was extremely nice! Very clean, and very comfortable beds and sheets! Breakfast was great! Lots to choose from, eggs, sausages, pancake machine, and well as a variety of bread, english muffins and bagels, and much more ! We had our own entrance from outside as well as inside which was fantastic, made it easy to bring our luggage in and take it back out. I would definitely recommend staying here! Will definitely be back to stay!
The decor was a ten out of ten-I mean it was great decor-but there wasn't enough room in the room to swing a proverbial cat in it. Really-it was freakish-if people floated around in the air it works-but since they don't-it didn't work-and it was pricey, maybe because a large shopping area was only a short walk away. When I stayed at this particular Hotel there were plenty of kids there-so much so you had to be very careful walking into the lobby. Staff friendly-free cooked breakfast that consisted of reconstituted eggs which makes scrambled eggs but they don't tell you its basically just a cooked 'egg mixer' as opposed to it being scrambled eggs made from actual eggs. Bacon or sausages were available also-and all kinds of bread products. Three cheers for toast. Coffee available 24/7-internet available and a computer kiosk in the lobby to make everything go better. For me, since I'm not ten years old, I found the lack of space in the rooms annoying enough for me to leave before I had initially planned to. Oh well.
Had the suite with king sized bed and Jacuzzi and was very pleased with the room. Bed was very comfortable. Pool was small but nice. Didn't have a chance to use the fitness room but it had the basics for anyone looking to get in a quick workout. Location was great; right next to the mall and highway and a short distance to downtown. Continental breakfast was great! Highly recommend this place!
I will be coming back to this hotel, all the staff are friendly and very helpful , and the breakfast was good. The room was very clean. I would tell anyone this is the place to stay if going to Moncton.
The hotel is located next to the Champlain Mall in Dieppe. This location is downgtow Moncton and you can walk to restaurants, shopping and attractions ( tidal bore ). Breakfast room (hot & Cold ) is included with room rate and the beds are excellent giving you a great sleeping experience. The hotel is popular because of its' location and offers a quality and value focused experience .
This hotel has been in operation for many years but it looks like it must have been renovated recently because the lobby and rooms are in excellent condition and offers a modern design and comfortable atmosphere. The check-in was quick and service was good. The free hot breakfast in the morning was surprisingly very good and seating area comfortable and relaxing which was very nice. The location is very convenient because it is close to shopping centers and downtown. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return.
Had an up grade on the room great suite the continental breakfast was also pretty good would come back again anytime. The point system works really well and I find I end up with many free nights at the end of the year
very nice appearance and staff very helpful. very nice room. was located well for me for my business travel requiremetns and also very close to shopping. within walking distance. the morning breakfast was very well laid out and no shortage of anything. hats off to the management and staff. well done.
Walked into a very well clean lobby. Staff was able to assist right away and very friendly. Room was spotless and very modern. The pool area was well kept. Breakfast was included and lots of options to choose. Will definitely be back again.
The atmosphere at this hotel was stark, dark and dreary, despite staff reporting that the hotel is only 15 years old. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was awful, with horrible tasting reconstituted eggs. Just average.
Stopped in at this hotel on our trip to Canada's east coast. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful checking in and out. Breakfast was very good as was the service staff. Would recommend this hotel to travelers for both single nights or extended stay.
I have stayed at the Best Western PLUS Moncton on 2 other trips and never been let down (On my last trip my room wasnt ready so they bumped me up to a jacuzzi suite!!) The staff are friendly and they even have laundry facilities if you need them. The have a hot free breakfast (bacon, eggs toast) as well as fruit, bagels and cereal. The bed was king size and great!! You could do far worst then to try Best Western PLUS Moncton if your in the area.
Good hotel. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Stopped in Aug. for 2 nights on our way to Halifax for a wedding and again in Sept. for 3 nights on our way back. Check in was easy and quick. The room was very comfortable and looked like they had been renovated recently. We did not take advantage of the pool or gym as we were extremely tired from our 10 hr. Drive. But they both looked great. Located from quite a lot of shopping, and in walking distance. I was disappointed in how much discarded smoking materials were around the entrance. I had relatives who live in Moncton visit us there one night and were appalled at the mess. I specifically asked about where the smoking area was when I checked in, as my wife has asthma, and was told that by NB law they had to smoke several meters away from the hotel, which would have been the other side of the parking lot. Obviously this was not adhered to and the mess was there for a couple of days, until I left anyway, not sure how long it was there after I left. Not sure why the staff did not enforce this law/rule. The other downside was the exit and entrance are on a busy road so you must take a lot of caution.
Excellent stay. Nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. And the dishes were an added bonus. Breakfast offered lots of food and options.
Hotel is great. Staff friendly and warm. The rooms were decorated in modern décor and very clean. They are small, however having a fridge, coffeemaker & in-room safe in our room trumps the size every time. The beds are VERY comfy! few things of the management should look at 1) Breakfast is same almost everyday. some change in menu would work 2) Closet small in few rooms
We opted to stay here to break up what would have been a 14 1/2 hour drive home. Nice place they have there - the room we stayed in was very comfortable - comfy bed and pillows, high-speed wireless was quite fast, and we even tried out the jacuzzi-style tub (though I didn't like the number of mirrors around the tub). Check-in was good and friendly; check-out was effortless. We skipped breakfast but got coffee - it was OK. All in all, a great place to spend a night.
Hotel was bright and well decorated - newly renovated. It had a very warm and friendly feel. Staff were incredibly helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great and there was an amazing attention to detail.
I would definitely return to this hotel! I contemplated, only because we normally stay at another hotel chain however I was very happy with our stay. If you are not from around this area, getting around is VERY central from this hotel. Minutes from shopping, major highways, restaurants etc. Walking distance (5 minutes or less) to a major shopping centre. The breakfast was basic (had everything you could want however eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, fresh fruit, pancakes, bagels etc) however very clean, the staff working in the kitchen was the friendliest I have ever seen The rooms were decorated in modern décor and very clean. They are small, however having a fridge, coffeemaker & in-room safe in our room trumps the size every time. The beds are VERY comfy! The pool is small however even though the hotel was full, we were the only ones there and it was very clean with lots of places to sit to watch the kids. Thank you for an amazing little family getaway!
The coziness, the atmosphere, the Maritime charm, it's all there. Their breakfast is always fresh and included in the cost of the room. The bed was extremely comfortable and even my wife, who has fibromyalgia, found it to be excellent. When in Moncton, I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
The lady at the front desk really helped me out with my check-in and check-out. Since I had been confused when booking online on how to add my government discount, she also helped assigning the best rate for my room!
Spent a night at this hotel on Thanksgiving weekend while in town to attend a wedding...I was very impressed with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel....I had by mistake booked a handicap room and upon seeing this I was upgraded to a jr. Suite (as it was all that was available )as to keep the hanicap room free for someone who might need it. Beds are very comfy as are the pillows and duvet. The location is great for any one wishing to do some shopping...large shopping center right across the road including a new Bass Pro Shop! I will most definitely stay tbere again!!
Great hotel. Quiet and clean. Breakfast was excellent. Stopped in Aug. for 2 nights on our way to Halifax for a wedding and again in Sept. for 3 nights on our way back. Check in was easy and quick. The room was very comfortable. We did not take advantage of the pool or gym as we were extremely tired from our 10 hr. Drive. But they both looked great. Located from quite a lot of shopping, and in walking distance.Highly recommend this hotel. The only downside was the exit and entrance are on a busy road so you must take a lot of caution.
This appears to be a fairly new hotel. The lobby is small but functional with the breakfast room off to one side. The best part of the experience was the breakfast. Most hotels use "liquid eggs" for breakfasts but most tend to overcook them. The person doing the eggs here does them to perfection and you think that you were eating fresh cracked eggs instead of a restaurant product. The breakfast room is very clean with an excellent selection of items that are always being replenished. We were there on a weekend when several youth teams were staying the night. We did not experience any noise problems so the rooms must be soundproofed. A suggestion if you find yourself in the same position re: teams - find out what time their breakfast call is and then plan to go to breakfast either before or after them. Competing with a hoard of hungry teenagers at breakfast is not for the feint of heart.
First time staying at this hotel,,,checked in here After leaving another hotel in the area,,,,,the front desk staff were very courteous and helpful....the room was clean and bright,,,,,,free breakfast every morning with a nice selection and again the staff were very efficient,,,,wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
This hotel is very conveniently located, was very clean, beds are super comfortable, free wifi, etc.. Speedy check-in and check-out. It was perfect for my post-flight stay. Was not able to take advantage of pool and breakfast so I will not comment on those.
Like all Best Western hotels I have stayed in, this is a clean attractive hotel with a friendly staff. Saturdays and Sundays the hotel may be fully booked and the breakfast area is not large enough to accommodate the guests. The breakfast staff are friendly and very hard working.
This hotel is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, the pool has amazing hours for a hotel pool. The breakfast was good for a complimentary breakfast. Only problem was, we found black mold in the bathroom on the handle where the handle attaches to the shower wall and our toddler found a pair of dirty underwear under the air conditioning unit. I understand that this type of thing can happen, but the desk clerk on check was very unhelpful and really offered us not even an apology for this situation. All she did was tell the other desk clerk to send housekeeping to see her. This is the part I found disappointing.
