The bed, shower, and friendly staff were fine. The breakfast was good, although I'd appreciate more healthy items like oatmeal, bananas. I loved that you could open a window, and control your own A/C. But the room itself was reminiscent of compromising for the sake of going cheap. Desk, but no desk lamp. Staff had to get the cable tv to work. Nasty stain on the carpet between the beds where someone had thrown up or spilled something just grossed me out. If they could not remove the stain, either replace a section of carpet or put people in a different room. I will spend more to stay at a competitor next time.
Everything about this stay was great. I had no complaints. I always look for Best Weatern's as I like the local non franchise feel.
The rooms are nice, they smell like cigarettes though. Breakfast sucks because there's pork everywhere.
We had an extended stay at the Macomb Inn do to an illness in our family. Everyone was very friendly. They worked with us on our bill do to the reason and length of our stay. Breakfast was good with a very nice lady who ran the breakfast bar. I left three items of clothing when we departed. I got a call from management to arrange for me to get the items. I have stayed at other properties that wouldn't bother to call. we will stay here again.
We were there for a family funeral , was told they would be the best place in town to stay. The room was very clean, we had a couple of issues. 1st night had to have them get to get the refrigerator to work , if would not get cold at all. 2 night the toilet starting whistling every 3 minutes, the guy came up at 11pm and tried to fix it, had to shut the water off in between the flushes until the maintenance guy came in the next day and replaced the parts. 3rd day no hot water to shower or wash up before we had to go to a funeral. The last 2 days were fine, was a little shocked when we went to check out and seen that we still paid over a $100.00 for each night with the issues. The food was was and the people were very polite. Will double think any future stays since it was like sorry, but still pay full price even if you have issues. Most Best Westerns are not like that , they try and make it right if there are any issues, let alone 3 in a row. Our other family that stayed there at no frig for 2 days and had heat issues.
Young man working the front desk was exceptional. We have stayed here a few times. Breakfast was hot. Room was very clean except had to spray out the tub. Pool felt great. Some other guests kinda ruined our experience at the pool the second night but it was great the first night. Cannot say enough good things about the helpful, nice young man working the front desk
We were disappointed. The ac wasn't working properly. The ac was noisy & didn't keep the room cool. The toilet didn't flush properly. There was a crack in the toilet lid. There wasnt enough lighting in the room.
We stayed here because of the price and the brand. The pool was good, breakfast needs more variety. Bed was not soft enough. Otherwise a great location to shopping and eat. Price was just right. My kids' favorite part was the pool.
I had never been to this town before, and when I got there there had been a storm and the electric in one part of town was out. I came to this town to minister at a church and the initial motel that they reserved for me had no lights, and so I ended up at Best Western!!! I was so happy!!! When I walked into the lobby, the staff was so nice and the motel , I would give it a higher rating if it were possible. I really enjoyed it!!!!!
I recommend this motel especially for the hot food and choices for breakfast. I had no trouble with Internet and slept great. The pool wasn't available at the time but it was of no concern of mine. The exercise room was though.
The hotel was clean. Ample parking. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh. Room was large and well lit. The Hotel was located in an area with restaurants close so that it was easy to get dinner. Staff was pleasant.
The location was clean. The staff was helpful and focused in on the customers. The location was central for visiting Western Illinois university. The breakfast was excellent and fresh. The room was appointed well and comforable.
Excellent hotel and great staff....Cold pool, everytime we stay the pool is freezing cold, we look forward to spending some time in the pool, but its almost impossible to be in the water more than 10 min.
We were here for an event at WIU. The hotel is conveniently located to the campus and nearby restaurants. One was across the driveway. The hotel was very nice and quiet and the bed was comfortable. It was so nice to have a hot breakfast after the covid trips. We would come back again.
We enjoyed our stay. The staff was helpful and friendly, the beds comfy, and the breakfast was hot! In our room, the heating unit was loud and the toilet was very low to the ground, but the amazing shower head more than made up for it! The whole bathroom was steamy and relaxing. Will choose again when we need a hotel in the area.
We came to stay at the Macomb Inn to take of family responsibility there. Planned to stay only 3 nights but things went longer. The woman at the desk extended our room 2 more days with such kindness. We appreciated everyone at the hotel from the front desk to the sweet people cleaning. Lovely rooms , nice breakfast and close to fast food. We will definitely stay there again .
Our family has used this location in the past with favorable reviews, but with a new owner things have changed dramatically. Furniture frayed and worn in the lobby and a pool bottom that looked dirty. But the worst part was our room. We reserved a king suite with sofa bed pullout and were assured when making reservations this suite would sleep three adults comfortably. Upon entering the room we found the TV to be quite small and we had trouble locating the remote. The sofa bed appeared old and dated. Upon opening it up for inspection, we found a dirty sock from the previous guests and BLOOD STAINS on the sheets which had certainly not been changed before our arrival. The mattress on the sofa bed was beyond description- missing springs and the absolute worst. (You don't expect much for a sofa bed, but this one should have been hauled to the dumpster!!) Upon delivery of new sheets we discovered that THOSE sheets had about a foot long rip through the middle! The toilet had mold on the underside of the rim. The sofa bed would not fold back up and broke. After contacting the front desk, the owner arrived to fix the sofa. After 20 minutes of banging and crawling all over where we had to sleep, we had to again ask for a new set of sheets. During this time while fixing the bed I calmly addressed the above issues to let him know that we were not pleased with what we found (i.e. soiled and ripped sheets, condition of the sofa bed having missing springs, and the filthy toilet.) Tho he listened, the owner was dismissive, telling us the sofa was made this way and only needed new springs. The mattress was completely shot...only about 3 inches thick. I felt he didn't take my concerns seriously. The straw that broke the camel's back however was...BED BUGS! We awoke the day of check out and caught one that was trapped in the comforter on the King Size bed. We captured the little critter and took it to the front desk where they confirmed it was indeed a bed bug. On our drive home, our adult daughter who slept on the nasty pull out, noticed she had four bites on her neck. In less than 24 hours the 4 bites turned into 20 bites on her neck, face, arms and legs. She contacted the hotel to inform them that she was miserable with the itchy bites and that they should check the pull out sofa. What was quite disturbing and disappointing was the insinuation that WE may have brought the bugs in, as the people who stayed there last week didn't complain!! We again asked for a call from the owner and when our calls were not returned after two full days we called again. We were told an inspection of the room was completed this morning and no bugs were found. (Of course not, because bed bugs hide during the day and come out at nignt!) It was just our "luck" that we found one trapped in the comforter. We were not charged for our stay which was fine. However, now we are out three pieces of expensive luggage, cost, time and effort laundering clothing for four people, and hospital and pharmacy expenses, as our daughter had to go to the emergent care for bites that were oozing, and continued to worsen throughout the day. She was given a strong antibiotic to head off infection. From previous reviews, it is evident this hotel has had such issues in the past. Before we checked out we had specifically asked that the owner call us personally to discuss this matter. We waited two full days and ended up calling the hotel back ourselves where we were told he was "unavailable" and that the morning manager would get back with us the next day. Whatever you do, do NOT subject yourself to this sort of treatment and trauma.
This hotel is nothing to write home about. It is noisy, not the cleanest, the towels are absolutely threadbare, the room refrigerator did not work, and the footstool had a massive stain - unsure what. If you just need a place to spend a quick night, an in-and-out trip, maybe, otherwise I would not plan on a super great experience if you are staying here.
The staff was so friendly and helpful. The kiddos loved the pool. The hotel was old but very clean and well kept. They really need to invest in new mattresses and pillows. The beds were clean, but not comfortable.
My partner and I had occasion to stay at this Best Western on a whim after staying too late visiting family in the area. I called the hotel at 10:30 pm to ask about rooms. The lady was very helpful and pleasant. When we arrived a few minutes later I was greeted warmly by the desk clerk. Check in was fast. We passed a nice indoor pool on the way to our room. The room was very clean, smelled good and had great mattresses. Sheets were soft and comfy. The towels were substantial and lighting in the bathroom was the best I've seen in a hotel in quite some time. The breakfast was very good, including biscuits and gravy, omelets, sausage waffles, a variety of cereals as well as yogurt, fruit cups, fresh fruit, coffee, milk, and juices. The attendant was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure we had enough biscuits as they were running low toward the end of breakfast time. The bill is out under the door, and checkout was easy, just drop keys in box when leaving. We will definitely stay there again!
Hotel was clean staff was nice but bed and pillows sucked. Pillows were small and hard and need was very hard causing me bad back pain. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Nicely located near food and stores if you needed anything.
The experience started off with being told they had 2 adjoining rooms 1 king 1 dbl Queen, checked in was informed was misinformed they had 1 with room 3 doors down from the "Jacuzzi suite" but that's closest available but if u sign up for BW rewards the price is basically the same minus the loss of getting my adjoining room. From there the non jacuzzi room was in horrible condition and a handicap room with no tub only a stool, safety handles, shower only along with thermostat dangling from wall for two girls wanting to bathe. The jacuzzi room was dirty, trash on floor, under bed and the tv didn't work and to top it off i was told if i wanted a tv i had to switch rooms along with other room already switched or follow attendant to another room to get another tv on my own and disconnect and reconnect myself and make sure to return in the morning before checking out. Ya IKR!! And the pillows..... 4 small square decor size that fit about half of the beds!!
Hotel was clean, front office was helpful. Breakfast was good- that is the good Now the bad- king sized bed we had was below average and not comfortable. There are major soundproofing problems too. From 10pm until 4am we heard everyone going in and out of their rooms, there were times the banging was so loud we thought the other guests were in our room.
Came down for a little getaway decided to book the jacuzzi room and we were not disappointed the jacuzzi Jets were amazing the room was very clean the hotel itself was very quiet the front desk staff was very helpful
Best Western Macomb Inn is a nice hotel, clean, up to date rooms, and very helpful, friendly staff. This was my second time staying there and enjoyed just as much as my first time. Had other family member staying there as well, and they enjoyed it as well. Great customer service, great breakfast options, clean rooms. I felt safe leaving our uhaul parked in back as well. I will always try to find a Best Western while traveling, but can be hard because they are usually sold out. That says a lot in itself.
Good rooms. Very clean. its hard to impress my wife, and she was very happy with the room. The Front desk was very helpful. Pool was clean. Meleiah is very personable and polite. It was nice to have a hot breakfast again. The biscuits and gravy was filling.
The price per night was good. The staff is very friendly. Very quiet at night being close to a major highway. The breakfast selection was good, not just muffins, cereal, toast and waffles. The room was good just a little dated but overall a good place to stay for the price.
Loved the hotel and the staff. If I had a minor issue they were quick to correct it. The breakfast had so many different options and the waffles were especially delicious! The front desk staff are so sweet and very helpful with finding places to eat or activities to go do as well!
The gym is small, but provides the best equipment. I like to think of it as a home gym. You could wait and pay $10 a day to use the college gym, or use this convenient free; well sanitized; hotel gym.
The ceiling of our bathroom had black mold. The girl at the front desk said that they were aware but accidentally put us that room. The shower was dirty and the pillows were uncomfortable. At breakfast the eggs were luke warm and rubbery, and there were only a few old oranges for choices of fresh fruit. We have stayed at much better Best Westerns and expected more from this one.
It is a great location for a campus visit to WIU. There are a number of places nearby to shop and also a number of establishments nearby to eat. Also, easy access to nearby highways and or expressways.
The property in general was nice, but the rooms had a serious ventilation issue. We reserved 2 rooms and both had black mold on the ceilings. The first had a spot about a food wide on the ceiling by the door and the ceiling light was removed, probably due fire risk from the leak causing the mold. The second room had black mold all over the ceiling of the bathroom. We stayed in rooms 106 and 107.
Pros: The staff at this location were extremely friendly. The rooms were clean. Cons: The hotel is dated. One of our family members received a physical key for their room instead of a key card, so some upgrades are needed. The bathroom in our room had a loose toilets seat and a torn shower curtain, so some routine maintenance is required. The elevator made a weird clunking sound every time it went between floors so, again, maintenance is lacking. Overall a good experience, but for $135 a night, I expected a bit more. Wouldn't want to stay here for more than a weekend trip.
No employee available for check in, not a manager or anyone. Evidently the 1 front desk employee went to the doctor. There was no one who knew how this check people in. Also, they let a dog sit on top of a table and eat from a plate for guests. This dog ate the food meant for guests. Disgusting and unclean.
OK for value. Bathroom shower heads and tub turn on/turn off water knob needs replacing. Both appear old and dirty. There aren't many choices in Macomb Illinois so this is probably my #2 choice by default and I have stayed here many times over the past years attending college football games. My experience is always the same.
Several problems that were not seriously addressed when I complained. No room service during my 2 night stay. No one asked me if I wanted the service or not. I would have asked to have room service. The toilet seat was not secure and I almost fell off the seat when used. The sink faucet leaked when turned on. General and simple maintenance should have caught those issues. My friend stayed in another room and could not shut his door because the lock was broken. The front desk said "Yes that has been an issue and we were hoping it was fixed." It wasn't. I will never recommend Best Western to anyone. I truly feel that management does not know how to resolve customer complaints. Maybe the corporate office needs to do more extensive training for the management. For the price I paid, I did not get a fair value.
This is a non smoking hotel which is an added benefit. They do serve a hot breakfast which was nice since many hotels have opted not to do that with covid. The breakfast staff was friendly and kept the food available. There is coffee available in the room but they also had it available all day in the dining area . The rooms were clean and had no issue with smell, bugs or dirt. All corners were clean. We had a handicap room and had no issues in the bathroom. Nice large area. The staff was friendly. The check-in gal did not give us info on the breakfast times but I had to ask about it. But other than that we enjoyed our stay and will return again when in the area. It is next door to Mcallisters Deli but there are other restaurants in the area.
Basic hotel; nothing fancy. Okay pool, no hot tub, average breakfast, It's an older motel and shows it. The room was clean and comfortable. Probably wouldn't stay here again if in the area. There's really not much more to say about the place.
Nice, clean place…wonderful people and easy to find..attending a birthday party for two wonderful people who turned 62, it was a wonderful place to meet up for this special birthday, they were sharing…..
The handicapped room was filthy and in poor repair. We move to a slightly cleaner room upstairs even though I'm disabled, it was really that dirty. Then we spent next day looking for better accomodations
Nice, clean, simple, but reasonably attractive hotel. Great price. We recommend this hotel. We would stay there again. It was our first experience at a Best Western in many years and it was better than I thought!
I know that regular sanitizing standards were not followed, much less Covid-19 standards of cleanliness, in the room I occupied because there was a brown powdered substance on the dresser top and glitter. The tv remote had pizza sauce on it. I wouldn't stay here again at the best of times. I felt uncomfortable in the room.
The air didn't work in our room. It was very hot! We could not sleep well at all. They were only able to offer a bag breakfast of danish and granola bars because of COVID restrictions, but I understood that. Everything else seemed fine.
Would definable stay here again, and would recommend this best western to anyone traveling to the area of Macomb Illinois! Staff was friendly, lobby, rooms were clean, and modified COVID breakfast had a nice variety!
Front desk staff is always fabulous at this hotel. They are very helpful. My husband and I were in a King bed room. The room was clean and everything worked well. The internet connection was very good. We stay at this hotel every time we visit our son who is attending WIU. Overall this is a nice hotel for a short stay.
Best Westerns are a hit-or-miss. Some are below standards. This one is above standards. The check-in was very Covid safe. It was important to the owners. I stayed at 4 previous hotels during this trip that I could not say the same. The room was clean, covid checked, and updated. Nice stay. The breakfast was hot, with good safety measures. I am very careful, and felt safe about the procedures. To my followers: Very safe place to stay. Good breakfast, and look for a coupon code on the internet.
Room was clean, tv was nice and had a lot of channels to choose from.. Despite covid-19, the hotel provided a breakfast bag with daily choices. Room was also quieter than most I have used. You can always hear alot of noise from other rooms, hallways, outside - not bad at all on this front at this hotel - very good noise control. A little pricy, but much better option than the alternatives in a small rural community.
I thought the stay was great. I didn't much like the breakfast selection, but it would have been a lot better if it wasn't for COVID-19. We used the pool with my 3 young kids and no one complained about all of the screaming and playing and jumping and splashing. They got us everything we needed.
Our stay at this hotel was one of the most awful experiences we have ever had! The only nice part about our stay was front desk attendant by the name of Lindsey. To start off with our floor was dirty, the tv didn't work, the air didn't work properly, the refrigerator didn't work, the toilet clogged, and our closet door fell off. All of these problems were addressed with the hotels manager who lives out of town and all we got for an answer was "Well I'll be at the hotel next week so all you can have is my email!" They didn't even care to address the problem immediately, at all, or offer any kind of compensation! Very poor customer service and I recommend that you choose somewhere else to stay!
We enjoyed our night in Macomb. Our room was a double king! Very spacious and comfy. The room and entire hotel were very clean! The breakfast was grab and go due to Covid. We thought the items were varied and good. The location is also convenient. Restaurants, groceries and gas all nearby. Great staff. So glad we picked the Best Western.
Exactly what I look for when travelling. Clean looking and smelling (you know what I mean) room, noise from the hallway and other rooms negligible, and comfortable bed. The price was reasonable, and this will be the motel I stay at in Macomb in th future.
Stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Doesnt look like they clean very well, hundreds of ant crawled on my end table. Who knows how many more are all over the room, had to use body powder to get rid of them as the last night in the hotel they swarmed. Was no impressed with the matinence of this hotel.
When available we preferentially select Best Western. Macomb facility is showing its age. The staff was great, the breakfast (sausage, eggs, gravy) was average.Depending upon the time of day the shower water was not hot.
This is a great place to stay after a long day at the office. When you arrive you will be greeted with a friendly smile and you'll retire to your room to relax, read a book, watch TV or continue working. In the morning you will meet another friendly team member when you head down for breakfast.
This was the best place i have stayed in this last year.Everything was tip top and CLEAN.the bathroom, beds, pool area, and lobby all clean and tidy. desk person extremely helpful,we enjoyed this stay alot.
We enjoyed everything. I asked for a change of rooms and even though the clerk thought they were full she managed to arrange a change. Very thoughtful. The breakfast offered a variety of foods... hot foods were hot. Comfortable beds. And even with several basketball teams staying there, we didn't hear a thing.
employees were very pleasant and helpful, clean, and breakfast hit the spot dinning area was also attended to and kept clean, workout room was small but quit. would recommend anyone to stay at this hotel, the only thing is the rewards to be used went up for the location, not like it was a tourist destination but would stay again.
I travel for business all over and by far Best Western always meets my needs with nice rooms with affordable prices this place was clean with friendly staff helped out with all my questions so definitely stay again!!
My hubs and I stayed for our anniv...we stayed here previously 6yrs ago under different mngmnt and we could see things that have gone downhill, sadly. The pillows were miniature & room very a lotOverpriced
Fast, courteous service. A family member of mine was stuck in town due to freezing rain. Steve helped me get his squared away. He is a wonderful man and knows his job well. Thank you so much Steve!!!!
Good location near Walmart and grocery stores, sandwich shops and different restaurants, also close to the University if visiting a student, very clean and comfortable accommodations for a short stay.
Front desk staff was very accommodating , informative and friendly. Best Western is our hotel when visiting Macomb. After realizing we needed an additional night very helpful front desk clerk monitored cancellations from the beginning of her shift until notifying me that afternoon that one was available!
These rooms absolutely need money spent on them. Bathroom not that clean and bed pretty awful - not supportive. Tub in our room 125 heavily stained and we avoided using shower after closer study. Internet is NOT high speed and signal barely reaches our room which was as about as close to the lobby as we could have been. Next time there will be no next time. There are other options VERY close by that offer a better product for comparable $$$. If they'd have bad space we would have been there.
when the ac quit in our room at 900pm, and no other rooms available, for 50 miles, Melaneigh offered us a fan, and just as she did, the owner walked in, swapping out a unit from another common area, and within 30 minutes we had cold air, great place beyond the service, these guys put the best in Best Western! kudos to both...you made our day and our trip-thanks!
Several family members needed rooms for an unexpected close family death. We were all treated very kindly by everyone we encountered. Breakfast was good, room, hotel and grounds were really clean. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area. Thank you to everyone for your kindness and helpfulness it helped ease the reason we were there!
The staff was amazingly nice and I loved the rooms, as well as my family. It was a nice weekend trip to visit more family and staying at this motel made the experience and stay that much more enjoyable!
The hotel double charged my credit card and was unable to issue a refund. There was some confusion over my initial reservation, and upon checking-in I was not alerted to the fact that my name had a double-booking on it. Only after the fact when my credit card was charged did I get notified.
This hotel is wonderful- clean and attractive, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff if warm and professional - attentive to the needs of guests. Our room was very clean and nicely appointed. We have stayed in a regular room and a mini-suite and were happy with both. The mini-suite was especially great though and we will choose this option from now on.
Cold breakfast, cold water in shower. Reported problem to staff, received a measly 10% discount. They gave meaccess to room next door for hot water and the water was again lukewarm. I sucked it up and just showered to make the wedding on time. Called manager to report problem and she said the water was 2 degrees above the legal temperature required for hotels. (Supposedly measured temperature after I left the room. When asked what the temperature was, she didn't know and had to look it up. When asked how she took the temperature, she stumbled on her words and said she used the kitchens thermometer) If the water is cold enough to make your heart rate raise and almost have to catch your breath, you are not meeting guests expectations. The room smelled like smoke and they had to ionize it.
Right on the main street, employees could not have been nicer everyone was courteos and helpful, room was really clean and very nice, breakfast was really great, if your in the area, this is a must stop.
After a long day at work you are greeted by friendly and caring staff at the Macomb Best Western. They are very accommodating and strive to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. You can retreat to the quiet of your guest room, sit by the fire place in the great room, walk to a resturant or head to the fitness center to burn off some extra energy.
This hotel was clean and the people working there were very friendly and helpful all during our stay. This a great option when you go to Macomb, IL We like the fact that your points don't expire as so many other hotel chains do. You will find this hotel clean also.
Housekeeping is helpful and very very attentive to care of rooms and hotel. Maintenance is up to date. Front desk always staffed & very helpful. Entire hotel staff is well trained and focused. Breakfast is exceptional with a wide variety of selections, and Take & Go options. The parking lot is well lighted, has ample parking, and the winter snow was well cleared away. Restaurants and shopping nearby. We have stayed at the hotel in recent years and have always found it to be truly exceptional. Thanks to all the staff for taking good care of us. To fellow guests, Thank you for closing your door quietly.
Room was very clean shower was a little weak but nice enough bed and pillows were very good I sometimes need my own pillow but this place has very good ones and many different thickness which helps a lot
Chose this hotel as usually Best Western never lets us down. Not the best of the chain that we've stayed st. Problems at checkin. Room was ok except for the very loud kids in the rooms next to us. Bed was comfy. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely horrible. Worst of any that we've ever had. Selections were poor. Better quality control is definitely needed. Overall this hotel is merely average.
I stayed here for several weeks in the Fall. The staff are courteous, professional and personable. The rooms are spotless and a lot of pride goes into keeping them that way for you stay. Talk to Steve about HIS breakfast and compare it to any other hotel chain's claim. Finally, they have a way of making you feel like family. That's just how goof they really are.
I was here for business. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was great and the room was nice and clean! I very much enjoyed my stay here at Best Western Macomb Inn and would recommend staying here.
Recent reviews about renovations are not the reality now. The hotel looks nice and was in great condition upon checkin. We stay at Best Westerns regularly and although they have some variation, we've come to appreciate that overall, they are clean, moderately priced, and well kept. This one was no exception. The staff was friendly, even gave us a great recommendation on a Mediterranean restaurant downtown that turned out to be very good. It sits in a great, easily accessible location. Wifi worked great and they have a nice pool, although not large. Breakfast had all the normal hotel choices and probably a couple more as well. We would definitely stay here again.
The room was very clean. The breakfast was warm and filled me up. I am happy with the staff and my stay. It was in a good location. Easy to get to the parking lot. There were no loud noises as I was trying to sleep.
There's not a whole lot of hotels in Macomb even though there is a major University in the town. This hotel is adequate, that is it. It has gone downhill in the last 4 years. I actually will drive to neighboring cities to find a nice hotel.
I stayed here while visiting a friend in town. Very nice property, room was clean and the bed was comfortable. free breakfast was amazing with lot of choices. Staff is very polite, friendly and welcoming. They have great pool and wifi services. I had great time staying here. I'll be back again.
The hotel is undergoing some renovations so it was a little noisy. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and there were plenty of options available. I would stay here again. Try out the deli next door!
Don't waste your time or money. Go to the Hampton Inn next door! I don't know if management or ownership has changed but sadly, this hotel should be avoided now. Our entire family is from Macomb and we have stayed here several times over the years since it opened. We visit a few times a year and usually reserve 2 rooms and stay for several days each time we visit. And we have never had a poor experience until this time. In fact, it had always been quite pleasant. This time started out that way too. The only thing out of the ordinary was our room had a hole behind the door that had been patched up with a cheap, round wall patch. But we didn't think anything of it considering the hotel is under renovation right now and the floor trims from every hallway and the lobby were even ripped up. There were signs to watch your steps everywhere. So, we just assumed of course that it was a temporary fix while they wait for renovations. It had clearly been patched and even the patch had started to crack down the middle from wear over time. While we noticed it right away, I didn't see any reason to mention it to the hotel considering it had already been patched and they are going through renovations. I just assumed the hotel staff (and manager) who patched it would have record of it. I did not realize it was my job at check in to write down every item in the room that had been repaired and give a list to the management. That was my first mistake. My second was calling the manager once I received a $100 charge on my credit card for a hole that was obviously not caused by me. I explained that the hole had obviously been there for quite some time and had even been repaired with a patch. It is not my financial responsibility to pay for someone else's prior damage. If it had been damaged by me or anyone else in my family, I would have gladly reported it and paid for it. I have called the manager several times and was basically called a liar and told I was going to be responsible for paying the charge. We will never go back to this hotel, and we will advise the rest of our friends and family in Macomb to avoid it as well. I am a very truthful and honest person and being treated that way was unexpected from this hotel. We were obviously not valued customers to them. If you decide to stay at this hotel be prepared to write down everything you see that is damaged or repaired in the room so that you don't get stuck paying for someone else's damage. To be safe, skip this hotel altogether and go stay at the Hampton next door.
I absolutely love to stay here, my roommates and myself consider this our home away from home! The staff is friendly welcoming and very attentive to your satisfaction as a guest. The housekeeper's here are simply amazing and do a phenomenal job of cleaning your room! Even dearing our multiple-day stays here, we would come back to a clean and tidy room. The breakfast is on par for the course for hotel accommodations. The pool is fantastic while a tad bit older, as the property is not the newest but very clean and reasonably maintained. The guest rooms are amazingly quiet, I mean it the hotel was completely booked and I never once heard another guest with the occasion of a soft sound from a loud guest going up and down the hallway. It's also important to note that I'm a very light sleeper, was on the main floor and never heard anyone from sides or above! The price of the room was competitive for the area due to high demand for a few days of my stay, but was immediately reduced to the normal rate after the events had occurred. It's a great value here and the only negative thing I can say is the AC in some of the rooms need updating. However to their credit they immediately took care of it, even during the high volume of guest! They immediately moved me to a different room and had maintenance servicing the room we were originally assigned before we left for dinner! It's this intuitiveness to their guests that makes this the best place to stay in Macomb absolutely hands down!!
Best Western, apparently, recently took management control of this motel and updates are in progress. Staff was very friendly and pre-registration worked well. Room 214 was a double king unit. Room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. Shower was pleasant with adequate hot water and great volume.
There are several choices in Macomb, but I was glad we picked this Best Western. I went with the reputation of Best Western, and trusted that it would be a clean hotel. It was very clean and the staff was helpful.
This is a decent hotel considering what others are in the area. We decided to stay here while visiting our daughter for the weekend at Western. The hotel looks as though it's currently going through renovations. This is a smaller hotel only being 2 story's high. The hotel was above average and provided a breakfast in the morning. We stayed in the king suite room and we were happy. The only complaints I have was the price and the road noise from the road out front. The price was understandably high because of several events taking place at western. The road noise was noticeable but I did not have a problem falling asleep anyways. Check in was easy and staff was nice. There is a Walmart located directly across the street if needed, and this is about a 2 mile easy drive to the western campus if visiting a student. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Stayed the night prior to a college visit to Western University with my son. Average hotel with small breakfast included. Hotel was a bit pricey, but from my understanding, that's what happens when there are events happening in a college town.
In town for a funeral for a relative on my wife's side. On whole the stay and property was very average. My major complaint is that I still had to do payroll for my company & the WIFI signal did not connect in my room, I had to go to the lobby to connect. It is 2018, WIFI in your room is essential for business. I was awoken @ 6:00 am with the slamming and closing of doors throughout the hotel and laid there until almost 8:00 am before the the volume decreased. Something should be done so the doors don't slam when people exit. Also, this is a dry county on Sunday's, I would have picked up my own alcohol on the way if I would have been aware.
Great place with friendly front desk staff. Easy access off major highway with nearby eating options and a grocery store just down the street. We ended up staying here after we got lost down by the university looking for a different hotel which proved difficult to find. Glad to have stayed here!
It's pretty average. The lodging choices in Macomb are fairly limited. There was a hole in the lobby ceiling that needed some attention. Our room had a bit of a strange smell. The breakfast was pretty decent! Overall it was just ok.
We always enjoy our stay at Best Western not matter which one we stay at. Always clean, always friendly staff. Easy to get a room when calling and reasonable price. A great place to take your family for a night or two.
We enjoyed a very comfortable stay with a nice workout center and very clean pool and facility. Breakfast was fresh excellent choices and a large variety of hot and cold foods. We recommend this property.
Enjoyed our stay. Room was vey clean and all items were in order. Happy to stay and will again. The location is on the west side of Macomb but quite accessible to any part of west central Illinois. Enjoyed the staff as they were most helpful and cooperative. They seemed intent on making our stay an enjoyable one.
We stay here on a regular basis when in town to visit family. The staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel in in good condition and the breakfast is good and plentiful. In every way a fine option for our family.
Big red stain on mattress that you could see through the sheet, floors were dirty, smelt terrible in our room, staff was rude, breakfast was gross, elevator was outdated, rooms are not quite, fernace/ air did not work, parking was inconvenient, and was lied to about our placements of room.
Hotel advertised smoke free but put us in a room with cigarette burns on the carpet.. so stale and stuffy kept the window open all night, and had trouble with our asthma. Front desk said owner didn't want to spend more money for ozone cleaning and only $20 off the stay.
You could pay more for the same luxuries had at Best Western but if you want to balance your experience with your budget priority, you should consider Best Western at 1655 E.Jackson Street in Macomb, Illinois. The rooms were immaculate, the pool and fitness facilities clean and well maintained and the breakfast options nourishing and plentiful. The beds are very comfortable and most importantly the staff are great!
The front desk staff was amazing to work with, I accidentally booked for a wrong date and they went above and beyond to fix the reservation and not charge me any additional fees because of my mistake. Very fortunate that this group was there for the customer!!
Best comfortable beds in town! Clean hotel, great breakfast! Easy access to a Walmart that is across the street, and lots of choices to eat. I would recommend this hotel to any friends and family. The pool is pretty nice.
Just stayed one night but it was very pleasant. Clean rooms, very comfortable. The only reasons I gave 4 stars instead of 5 are 1) The breakfast wasn't great. Muffins were dry. Didn't seem fresh & 2) It was a bit pricey for the area. But I'd rather pay a little more and have a nice place than spend less and be unhappy.
My room was clean and neat thanks to Kathy. Kathy made sure I had everything I needed to make my stay comfortable. I give this hotel 2 stars due to the one unfriendly and unhelpful female at the front desk. The other members of the staff were friendly. That one person made my experience so bad that I will never be back to this hotel.
Found this a positive experience, easy to make reservation, pleasant staff, clean and comfortable room, good breakfast. Check out went smoothly. Nice large bathroom. I think it was a handicap room. Would stay here again.
Hotel was situated close to the job, close to area restaurants. The king room has a couch/hide a bed, and the hotel has the bed in its OWN room. Fridge micro flatscreen tv's in each room! Breakfast is very good and hot! Very CLEAN ROOMS!!!!! I could not find anything wrong with this property. Great Job by all!
We enjoyed this location and it is a 15 minute drive to the University. You have restaurants and plenty of shopping nearby. Walmart is right down the street. We even walked out the back of the hotel and crossed over to Burger King.
Stressful trip, excellent stay, Was involved in very bad accident. Staff was excellent and so very helpful. She went out of her way to help me with every thing i needed to accomplish. Room was very comfortable.
for the $100 room, it is what can be expected when paying less. The room was sufficient for one short night, but I wouldn't stay there if I had to spend more time. The bed had more of a "used" look and feel, along with the feel of the sheets and blankets. That comfy for being at HOME but at a hotel I expect them to be "like new" not worn in. Steve at Check in and check out was fantastic.
I stayed at this hotel for a family event in a nearby town and was very disappointed in the fundamentals. The price paid was more than my last night at the Marriott in St. Louis and the quality was not comparable. The main issue was the smoke was so strong in the room that I literally took non-worn clothing to the dry cleaner upon return as they so smoke emerged from just hanging in the closet that I could not wear them. The room was very basic and dated. The staff was courteous but clueless on how to create a great customer experience and was very transactional.
I stayed here for a weekend class at the local college. After my class I came back to the hotel to sleep at 10pm. The room next to me was having a party so I called the front desk to have them ask the party to be quieter. The night staff member completely ignored me. I called again at midnight and the person spoke to me like I was the problem and ignored me again. Finally I was able to sleep when the party disbanded at 1am. Save yourself the trouble, stay anywhere else.
This site has updated to a NON SMOKING facility. We greatly appreciate this. The apples on the desk at check in were greatly appreciated. Thank you for the welcoming customer service at the check in desk. The breakfast was very nice. The fresh water in the lobby was nice for our gathering after dinner. We will return to this facility when we are in this area. Bed was so comfortable...
We stayed here for move in weekend at WIU. We inadvertently checked in too early and the staff accommodated us by finding a room immediately. It was clean, comfortable and a nice place to stay close to campus.
One night stay with our teen for a college tour visit. Clean rooms with microwave, fridge, and hair dryer. Small pool...no hot tub, and exercise room. Breakfast in morning is free and good. Room had two double beds... comfortable. Lobby staff was very helpful and check in was quick and easy. Price was affordable. Walmart, small strip mall and Buffalo Wild wings across the street...
We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was better than expected. The room was nice and clean. There is a Walmart across the street. My grandson enjoyed the pool. They had apples sitting out which I thought was a nice touch. We will stay again when we are in the area.
This was a very nice place, I would come back when in the Macomb area. As in most hotels the cable has limited programs this is not the fault of the hotel. Room was very comfy and was able to process a lot of work at the desk. The breakfast was a little weak compared to other types that provide this same type of breakfast, cinnamon rolls on the small side and were cold.
Have stayed in the Macomb IL Best Western twice now and it has become my go-to place for my trips to Macomb. The staff is friendly and always helps right away with any request. All amenities appreciated.
Just needed a place to crash for the night. It was clean and staff was friendly. Breakfast is the morning was nice. Great for a place to stay in the area. Hope they get approved for the remodel soon to get rid of their smoking rooms. The front desk said they are stuck having smoking and non-smoking rooms until the remodel happens.
Beds great, pool small and no hot tub, clean place, GREAT breakfast. Only complaint is refrigerator stopped working on 2nd night and all food spoiled we had for drive back and no response from check out clerk when told at check out.
Very nice and clean hotel with comfortable beds. Breakfast offered variety with eating area. In room internet worked well and check in and check out was quick and easy. Staff was helpful and friendly during our stay.
We spent a week here. The staff was nice enough and the rooms were clean. The staff seemed to be content with doing the minimums. After talking to one desk clerk to shorten our reservation we felt like we needed to double check to see if she had. She hadn't but it was clear the next person did.
The hotel staff here is very friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to get my daughter an ice pack after she hit her head on a night stand. The pool is nice and the continental breakfast was great as well. A big plus is the beds are very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
Staff were very friendly and helpful..room was clean and quit ..breakfast is good wish they would change the menu alittle like maybe bacon ..they make you feel comfortable when you are staying there this is the best place to stay at in Macomb Illinois
We stayed 4 nights while visiting family in the area. Our room was very comfortable & nicely decorated. The hotel is about 10 +/- years old - very clean & safe. The breakfast each morning was a huge bonus! We also enjoyed hot coffee, cold drinking water & fresh fruit any time we went downstairs. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly. Cudo's to the hotel manager & head of housekeeping (she oversees the breakfast area, too). We did not swim or use the work out equipment but everything just glistened! FYI - the guest lobby & business areas are nice, also. Needless to say, we'll stay here the next we're in town. Thank you for making our stay very accommodating!
Very nice and clean with good breakfast with an excellent varity of foods. offered eggs, and tortillas in addition to fruits and oatmeal. This is anexcellent location in Macomb with shopping across the roadway. Room was very clean.
Great place to stay. Quality room and service . Breakfast was just ok . Real eggs would be beneficial. Would stay at bestern Weatern .. actually planning onnstaying there for Western ill homecoming end of September !
Overall my experience here was good. I had no problems. On my way home I realized I was missing a blanket that I had brought with me on the trip. I called the hotel like anyone would do and they told me that they found the item and their manager will call me the following day. I have yet to receive a call almost 2 weeks later...
The usual hotel we stay at when visiting Macomb was booked so this was our second choice. The breakfast was delicious. The shower was perfect. The room was small and HOT. We immediately turned off the heat/cool system and it was still very warm. The room seemed quiet except for the doors to the room slammed shut.
Hard to believe a smoking hotel still exists. Obviously the demand for non-smoking is higher since there were no non-smoking rooms available to switch. They do try to reduce the smell but the chemicals and residual is still strong in the room and left everyone with headaches.
The staff was very pleasant--I forgot my toothbrush, was given a complimentary one and offered toothpaste as well. Housekeeping staff professional. Extremely clean, modern, attractive room. I will definitely come back to this same place when visiting this city again.
Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. We had a nice relaxing stay. My only disappointment was that they didn't have updated lists to of recommendations of restaurants that delivered. I found many more than the two I was given menus for.
Excellent staff. Very comfortable and feel like home with all the Christmas decors. Love the location. Pool was sometimes heated, sometimes not. Breakfast wasn't diversified. It needs to be. At one point we smell smokers. We reported to the desk and found out its through the vent. Nothing they can do. Toilet seat isn't comfortable. Otherwise, a reasonable stay for us visiting family in Macomb.
Very clean hotel. Friendly courteous staff safe environment and in great shipping location. I would recommend anyone who travels to anaconda to stay st this location for a very restful night of sleep and peace.
I have stayed at this location numerous times. I am never disappointed. The staff has always been friendly and it is clean inside and out. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. Several places to eat within a short distance.
Whether traveling for business or pleasure, the Best Western Plus in Macomb, IL is a great place to stay. The employees are always friendly and willing to help out. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. It's a great place to relax at the end of a long day!
Very clean hotel, staff was good. Downside: very noisy, easy to hear traffic in hallways, and there was a constant thumping from the pipes. This hotel is about $20-30 a night cheaper than the hotel in the same property. If you are money conscious this hotel is perfectly fine, if you like better luxury, go to the other hotel
Comfortable, clean, convenient location. Very good value for the price. Staff was courteous, helpful, and attentive. The breakfast was better than average and included sausage, waffles, and scrambled eggs. Wide variety of roles and other breakfast amenities.
Very clean, very professional, and I will stay there again! The college Western is there and I would recommend this hotel to any college parent. The staff was friendly and the room was clean I thank everyone at Best Western for making my trip so enjoyable.
This hotel is very clean. A great place to stay with a great value. Close to shopping. We stayed with a group. The breakfast area was clean and the staff were friendly. We got an upgrade on our room when we arrived.
Have stayed here twice. Descent free breakfast and pretty good coffee Super attentive staff Sketchy A/C Super firm beds - pretty uncomfortable Very Clean Reasonably priced Would give 4 stars if the mattress was better
This Best Western is awesome! The staff is always helpful and courteous, the building is clean, and the rooms clean and comfortable. Only once, during out many stays, did we have trouble with noisy neighbors; but the staff addressed the issue immediately and we did not have any more issues. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Beds are comfortable service is great. Pool is nice staff is helpful and friendly good value is your children are going to Western, close to shopping area if you need anything. King size beds are nice.
It was a beautiful new hotel and near Western Illinois University. The hot breakfast was very tasty. The beds that we slept on was so comfortable I didn't want to get up. We had a great night's rest. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.
We always stay at the Best Western hotel when visiting Macomb. It is a very clean, well kept hotel with a very friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and "orange water" is a nice bonus! Convenient location!
The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the room was clean. The hotel is easily accessed, and the hot breakfast was quite adequate. I experienced no problems during my stay, other than the room keys were not activated when I checked in.
The staff was small-town friendly & welcoming. The breakfast was a basic hot breakfast, but delicious! We loved the biscuits & gravy, small sized cinnamon rolls, sausages, and melt-in-the-mouth waffles! Our room was a king suite, with a spacious lounge with pull-out sofa bed, small kitchenette, and separate bedroom.
Very clean, updated hotel with a friendly staff! Price was high due to Heritage Days weekend but normally prices are reasonable. Very clean, comfortable hotel with an excellent staff! We have stayed several times and never had a bad experience!
This is definitely not the type of place I think of when I see a Best Western. It is clean, modern and well managed. The staff was helpful, especially the breakfast room lady who is just the kind of person you want to see in the mornings. There was one quirky thing. I left a tank top on the bed and returned later in the day (with guests) to,find the bed unmade and a typed out note saying staff are not allowed to touch personal belongings so they did not make the bed. Never encountered this before in decades of travel and it was embarrassing to have guests wait while I made the bed so they could sit down.
My daughter is attending WIU and this is our go to hotel and recently my daughter had orientation and we decided to stay at best western and her orientation didn't end till 2 pm the next day. We asked if they offered later check out time and the person in the front desk was so helpful with assisting us with a later check out time at no cost. I will not pick another hotel for our future stays. Also this hotel is located to many close places like Buffalo Wild Wings, walmart, Burger king, Kmart, JC Penny, gas stations, etc..
We stayed at this Best Western for our sons WIU graduation. It was so clean and very modern. The room was so well presented to us on our arrival. We had breakfast with our son in the morning and it was very nice. We will stay at this hotel again and again.
Great stay for the value. Nice staff and rooms. Nice that they have a smoking room choice as well. All in all, I would recommend to anyone traveling to the area. Mae sure you book in advance for good pricing.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was super clean & beautifully decorated. We awoke, well rested, & enjoyed a nice, complimentary, quiet breakfast, that set the remainder of our trip off to a good start.
We were very happy with our room accommodations at the Best Western in Macomb. We would highly recommend it. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful. We would definitely stay there again should we ever be in Macomb.
End of school spent over night because had to take kids home and hotel was close to barn where we had to pick up horse next day, only problem Ice machine did not work on 2nd floor and pop machine will not take my dollar bills
Every part of the experience was 5-star. Yet the price was barely more than the older hotels in town. Very quiet rooms despite being next to the highway. Restaurants nearby, but not really walkable due to the highway. Nice pool.
Stayed here recently during a two night trip to the small college town. It is what it should be, a reasonable night's stay with no particular frills. The staff was pleasant. The room was easy to find in this two-story hotel. The room and linens were clean. The furniture seemed to be doing its job well. The rug was not worn out as it is in some of the hotels in this town. Warm water pressure was hit and miss in the morning, perhaps because everyone hit the showers at the same time. It is sort of quiet except that it is situated next to a major road entering town so every time a large truck accelerates or slows down entering town it is clearly audible any time of day. Breakfast choices were limited. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they offer a basic breakfast bar typical of the region. Food choices in the town for other meals are limited to fast food and sports bars unless you're in town Thursday-Saturday when the one decent restaurant is open. The price seems high for such an average hotel, but rate inflation has occurred in Macomb since there are few good alternatives. Supply and demand. There is an indoor pool, but we didn't use it so I cannot review that.
Not your major upscale hotel chain; however, one of the better options given it's a college town. The room was clean, the mattresses were comfortable, the complimentary breakfast was average (however, with various good options), and Wi-Fi was free.
Nothing special really. It was a decent hotel for a decent price. Quiet and comfortable, check in was easy and polite. We did not eat breakfast or use the pool. We would stay here again if in the area.
Overall, this is a good hotel in a college town where options aren't great. Price point here made this hotel attractive, especially because the hotels $15-20 less are best to avoid. This is a good Best Western, with a nice lobby and fresh rooms. Standard breakfast, etc. Its a solid place to spend a night or two. Two big complaints. One is that the sheets were a bit worn. Time to replace them as they're in bad shape. Desk chair wasn't in great shape, which was a problem as a business traveler needing to do a few hours of work at the desk. I'll stay here again, especially if its less than comparable hotels.
Arrived late, but was greeted warmly upon arrival. Check in was short & sweet. Room was very comfortable, bed was excellent. Breakfast is average - not gourmet, but served its purpose (it's free so expectations are low!). Location is good, with restaurants and other stores nearby.
Quiet large room great mattress with in room fridge, micro, desk, chairs, and easy access to all amenities. Plenty of breakfast choices all included. Best place in Macomb to stay period, been to all the others.
Stayed here one night for business meeting. Room was clean , bed was comfortable and very quiet . Staff was friendly and breakfast was good . Will stay here again when I am in town again . The only negative thing was it was very warm. I actually turned the heat off and had to open the window .
The hotel is overall very good. It is clean and inviting. The rooms have a microwave, fridge, and new TV. The overall decor of the hotel is updated, and very nice. The staff were professional and very nice. The location is close to a few stores in town. A great place to stay in Macomb. For the cleanliness, the value is great.
This hotel is a very clean, updated hotel with an extremely helpful, friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. Nice breakfast in the morning. We are returning next summer and would definitely recommend!
Their breakfast is the same every day. They need more variety. Pool was in an okay temperature, just need it to be more warmer. No hot tub. Using the computer, theirs was kinda slow but glad to be able to use it. King bed was comfortable so that's a plus! :)
Non-smoking room had a smoking odor. Very helpful desk clerk sprayed the room at my request. However, the odor remained. I requested a room change, but no other room was available I was told. I would not stay again, if rooms designated as non-smoking are not free of cigarette smoke odors.
Stayed at this hotel when in town for a family wedding. Staff were efficient, and the hotel was clean and quiet. The hot breakfast was very fresh, and very appetizing. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to anyone staying in the area.
Pillows were great, bed comfortable, mini fridge great, didn't need to use internet/phone, great location across from shopping strip, good food, nice people, clean room, reasonably priced, friendly staff, ice machines, vending machines, pool.
It was a very nice and clean hotel. I would definitely stay here again. The price was excellent, as well. We arrived late on a Friday--the staff was very friendly when we checked in. The room was very nice and clean and well kept.
This Best Western is wonderful. Every year they keep impressing me. Very simple check in and out. They read the notes/requests you add to your reservation and do their best to accommodate without having to ask at the front desk. You aren't woken up by the maids talking to each other or at some hotels, yelling to each other. One of my favorite hotels.
My husband and I were in Colchester visiting my son. While this isn't the closest one to his house it's the one with the best rating. The room was huge! Two King size beds, two comfy chairs, desk, micro and frig, large bathroom. (And the water is not slimy!) We didn't eat breakfast here, but I did see fresh fruit when I got coffee - always a plus! While we really miss the AmericInn in Monmouth (!) this is a close second.
This property worked out well for everything my group and I needed. It is very close to stores and restaurants. They also have a few places that are good for recreational activities (i.e. bowling alley, movie theater, etc). Though it is not part of a large town everything you need is right there. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The place was kept immaculately clean, and the rooms were very comfortable.
The staff at the hotel are awesome!. They were very helpful with my reservation on a busy Family Weekend at WIU! Breakfst was great. More choices than just pastries. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room doors are noisy when they close and there was a water hammer when the people above us showered but it was not loud enough to disturb sleep. Didn't use the wifi either because it was slow but would definitely recommend this hotel
Very clean, very updated. The staff was attentive and polite. Had good choices for vending machines. Check out was super easy, just turned in key. The price was excellent, great deal for a really nice hotel.
Our hotel room (two king beds) was very comfortable for 4 people and offered great amenities (microwave, small refrigerator, TV, hair dryer). The free wireless Internet service was easy to set up and fast. We all found the beds clean and comfortable. I will definitely consider Best Western PLUS hotels in the future.
good clean place to stay. I always enjoy the breakfast. free wifi. The beds are comfortable. The price changes with certain events. It cost more during homecoming, Dads and Moms weekends, and on family weekend for Western Illinois, home of the Leathernecks. Most weekends it is a good price.
My wife an I spent the night at Macomb account we were very tired after an exhausting weekend and activities later than expected. We were lucky to get our room and we were pleased that it was a large room witch had 2 king size beds a super clean bathroom and very quiet surroundings.
Not many hotel choices in this area. Best Western is definitely a great value for what you get (free parking, free Wi-Fi, hot breakfast, comfortable rooms). Staff was all friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out process was quick and easy. I would recommend this hotel to others traveling in the area.
This is a good option if you are visiting Macomb. This property is clean, has nice size rooms, the service is good, and the breakfast is fine. On busy weekends at Western Illinois University this property, and the Hampton Inn next door, often sell out. So, book early.
I stayed here, while visiting Western Illinois University! Room: Nice sized; I stayed here with my parents, and the room was very accommodating for three people to stay in. Very roomy. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was kind of small, yet extremely functional. =) Service: Hotel staff was very kind and helpful, overall. =) Overall Experience: Loved it here. Should I find myself in the cute town of Macomb, IL again, I will definitely choose this hotel to stay in, once again!!!!! =)
