"Will stay here again!"

08/11/2018

Stopped for the night on my way to see family in AZ. Was super pleased with overall experience. The property butted up against a large field. Dogs loved it and I felt safe while out walking them. Staff was super friendly and professional. Will definitely stay when traveling through the area.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Dear Guest, We appreciate your remarks regarding your recent stay with your dogs and we look forward to accommodating you and your dogs in the fulture. Happy Trails, Sharon Bates General Manager

"An Unexpected Gem"

07/11/2018

Set amidst gas stations and fast food establishments, and one small market, along Interstate 5, this motel could have chosen to just get by. Instead, there is an active interest in friendly, competent service, repeatedly. I stay here once every month or two. I am impressed with the ongoing determination to "get better."

Firebaugh, Front Office Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Ed for your kind comments we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us here and we hope to see you again upon completion of our newly remodeled lobby. Sincerely, Felicia Martinez Assistant Manager

"Great stay!"

The rooms were recently updated and looked very nice. My room was on the back side and very quite. Everything was clean, fresh and nice. The bed was comfortable. This was a nice place to stay when in the area.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Hello, We are happy to hear that you had a nice stay with us recently. We look forward to your future stays when in our area. Best, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Great Find in the Middle of Central Valley"

23/08/2018

We spent 1 night here while on the road. The temporary office was nothing more than a small trailer but the staff was super nice and friendly. We got checked in accurately and fast. Our King bed room was just remodeled and looked great. We use the pool on a very hot evening. It was clean and just the right temperature. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quiet. We loved this place and considered it a great find. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area. I will definitely be back when driving through the valley!

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Hello Michael, We appreciate your stay and understanding of our renovation of our lobby. The lobby will be worth the wait! Glad you enjoyed your time at the hotel and look forward to seeing you soon. Best, Sharon Bates General Manager

"OASIS IN THE GREAT CENTRAL VALLEY OF CALIFORNIA"

12/08/2018

We stayed at this hotel on both our outbound and return trip. Although the hotel is under remodel, the accommodations were very comfortable and the staff was very helpful. Would not hesitate staying again. The only drawback is the lack of places to eat nearby.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Peggy, Thank you for your recent stay and kind remarks about our hotel. Unfortunately, we only have Wayback Burger, Subway and McDonalds in our intersection. We look forward to seeing you on your next stay. Cordially, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Great little hotel between San Francisco and Los Angeles"

29/07/2018

This was a great little hotel. It was clean and the service was good. We arrived and they were under construction still but most of it has been complete. The rooms were great. They smelled clean. They looked clean. It had a great pool. The only downside was the super slow internet. There is a McDonalds, a gas station, subway and a little market. This is a little gem in the middle of nowhere. They even gave a little “welcome bag” in the room as a thankyou for the inconvenience of the construction. My sister needed a bandaid and I ran down to see if the office had one. They sure did and she gave it to us. This a little “grab and go breakfast” that had coffee, juice, pastry and some fruit bars and some oatmeal. We were very pleased. This was one of the better hotels we stayed at at half the price.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind remarks of your recent stay with us and are grateful of your understanding with the renovation of the lobby/breakfast room. We see the end of the remodel in sight, as we are in the last phase and we will be complete until next time! We look forward to your return net time you pass through Firebaugh. Happy Traveling, Sharon Bates General Manager

09/07/2018

the rooms were reasonably priced and clean, even though it was under construction as they were remodelling the staff was friendly. we got good value for money with nice clean rooms and amenities. the hotel even left us a snack bag nicely wrapped and water with a note apologizing for the inconvenience caused by the remodelling..my only peeve was the breakfast that we had to grab and go as we would have liked to sit and enjoy what was advertised. however all in all this hotel experience was nice especially when you are tired and just need somewhere clean and comfortable for the night.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Hello Denise, Thank you for your nice review of your stay with us. We appreciate your kindness we are renovation of the lobby/breakfast room and just remember you may always take your Grab and Go Breakfast back to your room or enjoy out by the swimming pool. We look forward to seeing you the next time you pass through our area. Best, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Remodel underway basically means no breakfast."

2
19/06/2018

The sole reason we booked this hotel was for (a) a decent place to sleep, and (b) an actual breakfast. It's a stop over hotel, and with 2 kids we really wanted a convenient place to just wake up, eat a real breakfast, and go. Unfortunately (and shame on me) when we booked this hotel we didn't read all the reviews here or notice their single line of text on their website saying the place was being remodeled. In effect, there is no breakfast. The front office and "eating area" is a small trailer at the front of the property. Breakfast is a terrible 25 cent packaged pastry, an apple, and basically nothing else. No place to sit, etc. Grab a terrible packaged pastry and go is not what the website shows, and not what we were expecting. The pictures on their site of the nice eating area, with tables, cereal, waffle makers, juices, and all the other breakfast stuff simply does not exist right now. Half the reason we booked there simply did not exist, and we then had to go out, find a place to eat, and buy breakfast for 4 people. Kind of defeated the whole purpose of booking this hotel. Half the amenities we were looking for were gone, but the price is still full price. Booker be warned; what you see in the pictures simply does not exist right now due to remodel. I will likely be disputing the charge with my credit card company as the services they present simply did not exist.

Firebaugh, Front Office Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are sorry your stay with us was not what you planned and we do have it notated on all our third party entities as well as our Best Western site that we are under remodel and we have a grab an go breakfast. Which consist of fresh fruit (apples, oranges) a variety of cold cereals as well as hot oatmeal, variety of pastries, fruit bars, granola bars, and we also have yogurts (strawberry/bananna, peach) as well as juices ( orange, cranberry). We do apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused you and your family and we hope to make it up to you again upon completion of our newly remodeled lobby. Sincerely, Felicia Martinez Assistant Manager

13/06/2018

Upon check in, we were told there's plenty of room to park in the back of the Inn since my hub and I had a travel trailer and our friends had a fifth wheeler. As it turned out we should have checked it out first because it was a pain in the butt to go on one side of the Inn with difficult turns but as it turned out we were able to back up out the way we came it after most of the cars in the back left. After talking to another lady at the mobile desk she said we could have park across the street in the empty lot. Duh, why didn't they say so in the first place when we first asked about parking. The first girl must be new. Anyway, they are remodeling the rooms and lobby and they allow pets. The room was clean and adequate. But I don't think we'll come back again.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments regarding your stay. We are sorry you were mislead by the front desk and I will be showing them all your comment so this does not happen to any other future guest. I am glad you enjoyed your room and we hope you will give us another chance the next time you are in our area. Sincerely, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Nice hotel in the middle of no where!"

19/05/2018

This hotel is being remodeled so it doesn't look like much, but the people were friendly and the rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. I was only here for one night after a long drive from the SF Bay area, glad I stopped and got a good nights sleep before continuing on to LA!

Firebaugh, Front Office Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you Karen for your stay with us, we are all so pleased to have given you excellent customer service and we thank you for your understanding of our lobby/renovation. We hope to see you again in the future upon completion of our remodeled lobby. Happy Trails, Felicia Martinez Assistant Manager :)

"Nice Room"

01/04/2018

Even though renovations are in process the room was spacious, clean. Pool was great. This area is stopping point between Redding and LA. There is only convienience stores, McDonalds and Subway and maybe another.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We thank you for your awesome rating and remarks regarding your recent stay with us. We appreciate your understanding with our renovation of our lobby. We hope to see you next time you pass through our area. Thank You, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Clean rooms"

04/03/2018

We stopped at this motel while traveling to the bay area by chance. We were very happy with the check-in process and the rooms. We had a pet friendly room which we found to be clean and odor free. The bed was comfortable as were the pillows. I would stay here again even though the breakfast was not much.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind remarks regarding your recent stay with us. We apologize for only having the Grab and Go Breakfast during the renovation but as soon as remodel is done we will go back to Hot Breakfast! Happy Travels, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Great Place to Get Some Rest"

4
13/01/2018

Courteous staff, clean comfortable rooms. Even though the hotel was getting renovated the staff was very accommodating and worked around the inconvenience of the work going on. Very nice folks. The room and bed were very comfortable. The one complaint that I had was the use of LED lighting. LED lighting is not conducive to pleasant lighting and does disrupt sleep patterns. It is not this hotel staff's fault that LED lighting is being used in a hotel room that is used to get rest while traveling or visiting the area. I do hope someone from Best Western corporate sees this and acts to minimize the use of LED lighting in their hotel rooms.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your response to your stay with us and are glad you enjoyed the accommodations. Thank you for your understanding of the lobby renovation. We hope you will return to see our lobby finished. Best Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Best Staff and comfy bed!"

4
07/01/2018

I was greeted in the morning by a delightfully young woman. The beds were new and Very comfy. Internet worked well. T.V had minimal selection but I'm not much for television. The lobby was under construction so I skipped breakfast.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are appreciative of your remarks during your recent stay. Thank you for your understanding of our lobby/breakfast being remodeled. We wish you would have tried our Grab and Go Breakfast as we have lots of choices; yogurt, instant oatmeal, several cereals, assorted fresh pastries, fresh fruit, many different selections of granola/cereal bars. We hope you will return to see our renovated lobby/breakfast room. Kindest regards, Sharon Bates Manager

"Very Clean"

4
01/01/2018

The room looked like it was recently renovated. Everything was clean, and the shower worked very well. I was stopping here because I got stuck in traffic driving up to San Francisco and needed a roadside hotel. This fit the bill perfectly.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We're sorry you were stuck in traffic but glad you found us. Happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and will hope to see you again soon. Best, Sharon Bates General Manager

"This is the place to stay,"

25/12/2017

If you are in the area and need a place to stay for the night, this is the place. Even thou the lobby is under construction they go the extra mile to make up for it, The area is very quite and no freeway noise, I have stayed in Bakersfield and Coalinga for business and I'm glad they moved us to Firebaugh cause the rooms are great, Plus if you ever need a room in Bakersfield DON"T stay at the Vagabound Inn North it;s full of druggies and hookers,

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind comments regarding your stay with us and we are happy you got moved to our property also! We are grateful for your understanding while we are renovating the lobby/breakfast room and only offering the grab and go breakfast out of our mini office. Happy New Year! "Firebaugh Best Western"

29/11/2017

The Best Western is currently under renovation so the usual amenities were not available - it was quiet - nice room - convenient access to I-5 - congested access initially as it was a holiday weekend and numerous service stations

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind comments regarding your recent stay with us. Our lobby/breakfast renovation is happening right now, so unfortunately we do not offer our awesome hot breakfast but we hope you will enjoy our grab and go items. We hope to see you when the beautiful remodel is done in February/March of 2018. Happy Holidays! Sharon Bates General Manager

"Construction lowers rating"

4
24/11/2017

Due to construction of lobby and breakfast area, my rating this trip is much lower. Quality of the rooms is still OK for the age of the facility, and is at a convenient distance on our usual trip. Closure of the Apricot Inn is a setback, but still fast food options available. Staff is great.

Firebaugh, Front Office Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind review and hope to see you back soon when our lobby is finished. We do apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Happy Trails, Felicia Martinez :)

Stayed here many times and always excellent.. This time was no different and clerk gave me special treatment for my small dog. The breakfast was well done and included a good assortment with fruit, cereal and hot offerings..

clean, friendly and priced about right for a older hotel......good location right off the freeway.....only problem no sit down restaurant in the area.....one next door is now closed....the hotel rooms could use a face lift but ok for the money

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for your comments regarding your stay. Unfortunately, there is not a sit down restaurant, we are glad they cleaned things up over there and hope someone opens the restaurant up soon. The rooms were remodeled in 2015. Hope you will come back soon. Cordially, Sharon Bates General Manager

26/09/2017

It's a comfortable room, older motel, not luxurious, it's quiet, bed was comfortable, the free breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Staff was friendly and helpful. There's a pool, it seems like a nice stop to rest and refresh in the middle of a long stretch of driving.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind remarks regarding your stay with us. We are glad you enjoyed your room and the hot breakfast! We hope you will stay with us again soon! Happy Travels, Sharon Bates General Manager

"The Best In The West!"

27/08/2017

This was an oasis on a long drive from An Francisco to Los Angeles. The Mini mall nearby was awesome for food items and the motel pool was clean. The fridge was large and my partner and I didn't even have to argue over which way the toilet paper roll should go because there were two!

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for your response regarding your stay here at the Best Western Apricot Inn. We look forward to seeing you next time! Cordially, Sharon Bates General Manager

"TV Options Poor"

3
26/08/2017

Front desk John was wonderful. Very helpful. He gave us maps to visit San Francisco. Room and bath clean. We were disappointed in the TV offered. Few channels and no Guide Felt like 1990 again. Breakfast for weekdays closes at 9:30 and weekends too? Not good for people who want to relax on weekends. They need to change time for weekends to 10:30/11.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments regarding your stay with us. We serve breakfast weekdays from 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and weekends 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.. We are looking into expanding the television stations, the owner is working with Direct TV on an agreement. Hopefully, the television will be upgraded the next time you stay with us. Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Not well kept"

2
13/08/2017

Will not go there again, the room was not clean, there was no shampoo nor body wash in the shower. The area is not very pleasant, there are no restaurants nor proper markets around. It was late and we did not want to drive anymore, and stayed there.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your response to your recent stay at our property. We apologize for any inconvenience you incurred during your stay. We have talked to the housekeeper who cleaned your room and used your comment as a training tool for all the staff! Unfortunately, there are no sit down restaurants, only fast food in the area and the only market offers only snack items. We wish you safe travels in the future! Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

02/08/2017

Convenient place to stay approaching LA. Nice people, Clean etc. The only problem was that one of the two ice machines was out of service, and the other was out of ice in the morning. It was exciting to see a bobcat in the nearby field.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kindness , regarding your stay and we regret that our ice machine broke down, we had technician out to repair but they could not fix, so we ordered a new one. Hope it comes in soon!! Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Great overnight place to stay"

4
30/07/2017

We were tired of driving so we decided to stay overnight. There are several fast food places walking distance but no sit down restaurant. The facility is very nice and clean. It is close to the freeway but our room was very quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to your return! Cordially, Sharon Bates General Manager

"An "oasis" on the freeway"

4
28/07/2017

Comfortable well maintained rooms; nice decor; good beds; very good breakfast with a wide selection of foods. Our stop was a "break in the drive" and we arrived with no reservations - and no problem. I wish the "Apricot Tree" restaurant adjacent to the hotel had been open (not a BW property so I mention this in passing). Pleasant evening, pleasant staff, good breakfast and reasonable price.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your kind remarks regarding your stay. We also would like to see someone open the Apricot Tree Restaurant soon! Best Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Best Western"

27/07/2017

Stopped on the way north. Have stayed here before. Good place to stop. Frig in room a bit noisy. Also people checking in all night kept waking us up. Breakfast was amazing and included! Very nice staff. Helpful.

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate that you have stayed with us on previous travels and are glad you enjoyed breakfast. Hope to see you again soon! Sincerely, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Not good appearance"

3
07/07/2017

Staff was EXCELLENT but the hotel is not in the best shape. Walls are peeling and the hotel gives a dirty vibe. The staff was the only thing pleasant at this place. Don't stay here unless you really have no other option.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
I am sorry your stay wasn't the accommodations you deserved. I walk rooms and the property daily and have not seen the walls peeling and our property is clean, other than the fact that we are located in the San Joaquin Valley where we do battle the dirt always. We do not have grass because of water restrictions implemented four years ago due to the drought! The Apricot Tree Restaurant has been abandoned for approximately two years and is in bad repair but we have nothing to do with that property! Thank You, Sharon Bates General Manager

"A great place to get a goodnight rest while traveling."

5
06/07/2017

This hotel is in the right spot, it's convenient and a great place to get a good night rest after a long drive. Every time we drive up to San Jose, we drive late, so now we always make reservations ahead of time. We get a goodnight rest and in the morning we take our time, have breakfast, shower and then take off to our final destination.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your patronage and your kind comments regarding your stay and as always we look forward to your next stay with us! Thank You, Sharon Bates Manager

We stayed at this hotel when driving back from Southern California. It is very clean, quiet and a good location just off I5. I've stayed at a couple of Best Western Hotels in the past week and they have been very good.

We appreciate your nice comments regarding your stay. We hope you will come back and see you soon! Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"A pet-friendly place to stay when I really needed one"

4
24/06/2017

I'm moving across country with my cat. It took us about 5x longer to get out of the Bay Area than I had expected, so at midnight I hadn't gotten any farther than the tiny burg of Firebaugh. Best Western Apricot Inn and its staff = godsend. I had an end room on the first floor in the back of the building. Everything seemed very clean and quite new. This is actually a handicapped accessible room as well as a pet room, so hello big bathroom! The only drawback -- and it is a puzzling one -- is that the only functional window cover are the sheers. There are heavy drapes but they are ornamental only and can't be closed. When you have the a/c on (it was 90 degrees when we arrived) the sheers blow apart, revealing the inside to anyone who wants to look. If I stay here again I'll bring clothespins or something to keep the sheers together.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your comments. Our drapes are different but you can close the blackout drape for your privacy, then close the sheer for a nice look in the room. Cordially, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Beautiful room!"

22/06/2017

Best Western is truly the best. All of them were wonderful but this one was particularly well-appointed and inviting. Everything was spotless and nicely laid out. I am looking forward to my next stay here.

We are grateful for your kind comments and we are looking forward to your return! Thank you, Sharon Bates General Manager

Thank you for your kind remarks and we look forward to seeing you and your crew next time you are in the Firebaugh. Best Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

"Perfect overnight stay right off of I-5"

4
17/06/2017

We checked in about 2am, exhausted from driving. The front desk clerk was very kind. We were given an extra hour past check out time because we had checked in so late. Very clean, cozy and quiet. Amazing for the price! There's a couple stores and fast food nearby. It was money well spent for us!

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your response regarding your recent stay! We are glad you had a comfortable experience. Hope to see you next time! Sincerely, Sharon Bates Manager

"Very nice except for the air conditioner "

4
16/06/2017

We stayed here on our way to Southern California. The room was large and very comfortable. Had a little trouble getting the TV to work but was able to figure it out without any help. We had a room in the back on the ground floor and it was very quiet except for the air conditioner. It cycled on and off with a very loud clunk and whistled and moaned. We probably should have just had the fan on as it wasn't that hot. We know better for next time. The room had microwave, refrigerator, ironing board, hair dryer, large flat screen tv and a small couch possibly a sofabed (I didn't look). The included breakfast had waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as yogurt, fruit, bagels, bread, pastries, cereal, juice, coffee, tea, etc. very good value and a great stopping place for us. We'll definitely stay here again.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for the nice remarks about your stay glad you enjoyed it, we are sorry about the air conditioner. Just to let everyone know, we switch between the following breakfast items; scrambled eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy and to scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and country potatoes. Hope to see you again soon. Best Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

Had to carefully walk to my room. After waling through all of the cockroaches to my room, I was unable to sleep because I was so uncomfortable. What disturbed me the most is that they were all gone when I woke up the next morning. At least they have a sign at the front desk when you check in stating to mind the oriental cockroaches, ticks, fleas, etc as they are very common in the area due to the location of the motel.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for your comments regarding our insects in the area, yes we do have a lot of different bugs, it depends on the season what insects you will see, hot weather all bugs! End of the harvest season in September or October you will have lots of gnats and flies and other seasons other bugs. Sorry, we are in located in the country! Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

This motel was very comfortable and the perfect peaceful place to stop on a long road trip. However, check in is not discreet and truckers in the lobby found out that I was staying alone. Not good. Felt unsafe.

"Great Hotel"

27/05/2017

We had stopped for a hotel about 15 miles before on the freeway and did not even want to get out of the car to view the two hotels as they looked horrible. We did not expect to find such a nice hotel in this area. It was as nice as a Marriott or similar hotel. Clean, nice hotel with a great breakfast and everything you would want to choose from for breakfast. The woman that checked us in brought the porta crib right to out room.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are glad we could accommodate you and your family for the evening. Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

best experience in years, clean, well lit, friendly staff. Everything was as expected which for hotels in general, unusual. As a motorcyclist parking is in the top three for safety, here again, top marks.breakfast bar, it was restocked in a timely maner also.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us! We are happy you enjoyed our hot breakfast it gets busy at times but we restock as it needs to be replenished. Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

23/05/2017

BW Apricott Inn is the place to stop for a good nights sleep when you have to Travel on the Interstate 5. No freeway noise despite being close and the room was very clean and updated. Great valve as continental breakfast is included so we could grab a cup of coffee and a bagel and get back on the road. I would absolutely recommend if you are traveling north or south and need a place to stop.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your kind remarks and are glad you got a great nights sleep! We look forward to our next stay at our hotel. Sincerely, Sharon Bates Manager

"Great staff- run down hotel"

3
02/05/2017

The staff were very nice but the hotel is a bit old and outdated. There are weeds higher than the building surrounding the Apricot Restaurant. Scary. It was the only hotel in the area so we had no choice for those attending our Wedding at Cardella Winery

Firebaugh, Front Office Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your stay with use. We are sorry the surrounding property is an eye sore it is not affiliated with use and our property. We do appreciate your business and hope to see you again in the future. Happy Trails, Felicia Martinez Assistant Manager

12/04/2017

Our stay at the Apricot Inn was just fine. It is close to the freeway and therefore was convenient. It allowed us to split the driving time between other hotel options. The room and amenities were just fine. Actually, the breakfast surprised me, in a good way, compared to some of the other BW hotels.

Firebaugh, Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your patronage and especially the nice comment on our breakfast, as we try to provide you with extra items and good quality! We hope to see you next time! Happy Trails, Sharon Bates Manager

09/04/2017

This was our third stay at this hotel. Stopped here for the night on our way to L.A. Great location, close to the freeway, clean, quiet rooms, awesome hot breakfast. There is a nice-looking outdoor pool, but never had the chance to use it as we always arrived to the hotel late at night and left early in the morning. BW never disappoints!

Firebaugh, General Manager at Best Western Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are so glad to hear that you are a repeat customer and can't wait for you to return to inn. Best Regards, Sharon Bates General Manager

01/04/2017

Had a bit of car trouble on our way down the I5, and found this hotel in the middle of nowhere! We were so thankful to have found it! Denise checked us in and was so friendly, and welcoming! Beds were comfortable, clean, loved the finishing on the shower and sink! Shower had built in grip on shower/tub bottom as well as handicap bar for getting in and out. This was so appreciated as my husband and I both had feet surgery in last year and it definatly helped reassure our stability. Room was clean, had hot full water pressure. Breakfast was great as well! Would highly recommend!

"Nice surprise in the middle of nowhere "

28/11/2016

We stayed here last minute while driving through the middle of California on our way back to AZ after visiting family for Thanksgiving. We normally try to make it to one of the bigger cities, but we were tired and ready to be done driving. This hotel was a nice little surprise. It had obviously been recently updated. The rooms were very nice and clean. It is right off the freeway, so if you are on the freeway side of the building there is bound to be a little freeway noise. Our room was quiet. Breakfast in the morning started at 5, which was great since we wanted to be on the road before 6. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, cereal, muffins, etc. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

"Nice little midway stop on the highway!"

28/11/2016

We stopped here mid-way on our Thanksgiving drive. It was a nice hotel - looked like our room had recently been remodeled. The breakfast was a standard BW breakfast - I LOVE the waffles. :) I would stay here again.

"A good place to stay while traveling I-5"

26/11/2016

This is a good stay while traveling I-5. It is in a good location for our travel plans and we have stayed here multiple times. All the hotels along this I-5 corridor are single night stays and this is a good one to get some sleep. not a lot of food options but doable

Very clean and well maintained property . The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast had eggs and sausage and not just cold items. Plenty of parking which can be a problem for us as we drive a large pick-up truck. As the hotel is just off the I 5 freeway and tucked behind some gas stations the signage could be better

I was there in Sept. The room was very clean and comfortable. The woman at the desk when I checked in was very nice and helpful. She looked up an address for me and printed out the directions. The woman that was there later was also very helpful. I am staying there again later this month.

"It was okay...."

3
01/11/2016

During our road trip, this was the place that made the most sense, distance-wise. For that, it was okay. There is a small outdoor pool that we didn't use, no jacuzzi and no exercise room. Our unit had a small microwave that was useful, but not all the rooms have one, so ask about it if that's important to you. There was visible wear on some of the furniture, and the bathroom floor had a strange, slick surface. Couldn't tell if a wax had been improperly applied or what, but it was a bit dangerous. The wait at the reception desk was surprisingly long; service there was very slow. And we were road-weary. The room was a good size, especially for three adults, and we were pretty comfortable. The included breakfast was great.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thank you for your comments regarding your stay. Just to let you know we have microwave & refrigerators in all the rooms now. As for the furniture being worn we just remodeled last year, we are going to start replacing mattresses this month in increments throughout this year and next. Have happy traveling! 05/10/2016

We discovered this hotel and location years ago when we got lost on the wrong freeway. We have not stayed here for quite a few years, and were pleasantly surprised by the room upgrades. For being in the middle of nowhere, the rooms are decorated very nicely and luxurious, with modern décor. They included a microwave, fridge and free wi-fi. We arrived VERY late in the evening and the desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. This location is situated in an agricultural area. Trucks in the parking lot pointed to lots of workers staying at the hotel; however it was quiet when we arrived. Enjoyed a little laugh as we passed all the boots lined up outside the rooms, but not messy at all. There was plenty of area behind the hotel to let a pet sniff and do their business. A sign posted in the office DOES state insects that can be in the area, advising to keep doors shut. We left ours open a crack for a bit too long and did get a couple flies and nats. The breakfast had many good choices, including protein, cereals, fruit, breads and pastries.

"Middle of Nowhere... Great Place to Stay"

16/08/2016

It was the name of the Best Western that drew us in. Apricot is my husband favorite fruit. We had stopped at one Best Western in another little town, not good, no vacancy, no cars in the lot. So I looked up the closest BW and saw this one "Best Western Apricot Inn" We called and they were friendly and had a vacancy. When you've stayed at every Best Western up to Best Western Premier. You can see the difference in them. A Regular one can be just a nice as a Premier one. The BW Apricot was just perfect for a good night sleep.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We were glad we had a room for you and your husband! We hope you will remember to stay with us next time you come through the Firebaugh area. Sharon Bates Manager

16/08/2016

Often when returning from a race weekend at Thunderhill Raceway we head straight for this Best Western as we know we will be treated well with ample parking for my race car trailer, a quiet nights sleep and a good breakfast in the morning, those sweet rolls from the Edna Bakery are the best.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are glad to be here for your lodging needs and we are glad you enjoy the fresh baked goods from Edna's! See you on your neext trip! Sharon Bates Manager

05/08/2016

This BW was located at a point when we were ready to get off the road and rest. The hotel was clean and the service was good. Un fortunately, there was no place to eat except very basic fast food Mc Donalds, Subway and Foster's Freeze

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate the kind comments regarding your stay with us. Unfortunately, there are no sit down restaurants in our immediate area. The only sit down restaurant, The Apricot Tree Restaurant closed in September of 2015 and we are hoping someone will buy it and open it, as it was never owned by our establishment. Very friendly staff. Slow internet. Swimming pool out of commission during my stay. Rooms clean. Location of property convenient from freeway. Staff kept breakfast essentials as neat as possible, providing fresh fruits and coffee as necessary.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Sorry that the swimming pool was not operating during your stay, we had our pool pump go out and we ordered a new pump and it took a few weeks to come in. We have it in our plans to upgrade the internet by the end of the year! Glad to hear your room was clean and you had a nice breakfast. Regards, Sharon Bates Manager

"Newly renovated"

4
24/06/2016

The rooms appear to have been newly renovated and were nicely decorated, spacious, and clean. Breakfast was included -- nothing fancy but there were plenty of options. Staff was polite and helpful. It is conveniently located right off of the 5 freeway, one block from a McDonald's. The outside area was functional. Not a destination, but a good stopping point for a drive on the 5. I could not hear any freeway noise or noise from other rooms (although I am not sure whether the adjoining rooms were occupied). Blankets on the beds were put between two sheets -- I'm not sure if all Best Westerns do this but it seems a smart way to keep them clean.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review

"unscheduled stay from road trip toSan Diego"

14/06/2016

Had a better experience during an unscheduled overnight stay from drive back to SF from UCSD graduation ceremony than fancy "suite" in San Diego. The suite accommodated 6 but had only 1 bathroom (took 3+ hours each night to prep for bed for each to wait their turn). At Apricot Inn we took 3 rooms & enjoyed the lovely breakfast - at San Diego, we were treated to complimentary coffee in the lobby.

Love staying at the Apricot Inn. This was our second time since it is a half way point on our way home. Staff are always helpful, love being able to walk to eating places, and room is always quiet and very clean. We will definitely stay again in the future if in the area. The highway access is also very easy if you are on Interstate 5.

26/05/2016

Perfect spot to stop in mid-California. The person at the front desk was fabulous! Her name is Carmen (I hope. I had her name written down and it got lost in the move. We stayed there on 5/13/16). When I told her my air conditioner was not running properly, she came to my room to see if she could help. When it would not cooperate with her, she moved me to a different room, offered to carry my bag and then made sure all was right with the new room. The room was standard, clean and quiet. It was an easy in, easy out for our moving van. The checkout gals were super nice, too.

26/05/2016

SAdly, the area right next to hotel looks abanonded and run down and it looks like it's part of this hotel. Once inside, totally different story. Rooms recently renovated and breakfast area too. All clean, up to date, and wifi was good.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
The Apricot Tree Restaurant is owned by another person than the motel and they closed their doors back in September 2015 for good! The property is a eye sore, as it hasn't had any care since then. Our grass area is in distress as we cannot water it because of the drought. We did remodel our rooms in Summer of 2015! We will be remodeling lobby and breakfast room by the Summer of this year. We look forward to serving your lodging needs! Best Regards, Sharon Bates Manager

The staff was wonderful and super friendly. The breakfast exceeded my expectations. The had a wide variety of items to choose from. Unfortunately I question how well they clean. When we walked in, the room appeared update and smelled clean. The bathroom though wasn't terrible but there were signs of the past guest. Hair in the tub and trash on the floor. I'm hoping it was a fluke. Overall I would stay again and give it another try.

"Last minute business road trip"

30/04/2016

I have stayed at this Best Western about 4-5 times over the last couple years on my way to and from San Francisco area on business and personal trips. If you want a quite place to spend the night with really comfortable beds this is the place. This is a hotel along I-5 in a very non populated area with a Foster Freeze, Mc Donalds, Subway, and a couple of gas stations and a gift shop. I could have chosen to stay north or south of this hotel but I didn't, always a good nights stay here, enjoy,

16/03/2016

Very nice hotel. Quiet and secure. Brand new rooms. Very friendly staff. It's about 9:45 and there is a lot of traffic on 5, plus we are all tired. The closest hotel was this one, so we decided to stay here. Lady at the front desk was very nice. As soon as we walked into the room, we were treated with a pleasant aroma. Everything was quite new. It was very nice. The only thing is that it was quite cold, but I guess it is the middle of winter.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review

"Clean, Well Kept, Good Service and Dog Friendly"

4
07/03/2016

We don't often travel with our dog and, due to some initial confusion as to which room was available, we saw first-hand that the pet-friendly rooms receive extra cleaning (including carpet shampoo) between uses. The staff was friendly and helpful and the king bed was very comfortable. The wi-fi was fast and the the included breakfast featured sausage, eggs, a waffle machine, yogurt, juice, etc. All in all, it was a good place to stay and we are happy to recommend it. As others have noted the nearby restaurant has closed and the only alternatives are fast food but the Subway (located in the small market nearby) is a nice change of pace from the fried stuff. Also, we made the mistake of gassing up at a stop about 35 miles south of this location - I wish we'd waited as the gas at the stations near this motel is priced considerably lower.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us and look forward to seeing you the next time you come through our area. Regards, Sharon Bates Manager

"Quite Surprised"

04/03/2016

We stopped here while heading down to So Cal. We were super tired and this was the first place we came across once we decided to stop. Quite the nice older Best Western. Clean, breakfast was GREAT, quiet, right of the interstate. My one and only complaint is that the room didn't have a hair dryer. The ONLY hotel I've found these days that doesn't have one - I finally decide to leave my dryer at home because all places have one - oops...not this time

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Glad you stayed with us and had a nice stay except for the hairdryer. Let me apologize for the hair dryer but we keep them in the closet. Please call the front desk if you do not have an ammenity that you think should be in your room, front desk would be happy to take you a hair dryer, this way you get your hair styled and all is good. Thanks, Sharon Bates Manager

"Good rest"

4
25/02/2016

The staff was very helpful. And its set back away from traffic so it was quiet. I had a good rest. There wasn't a good choice of restaurants at this location, ( McDonalds etc. was all that was there). But the motel was good.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
Thanks for your response we are glad you had a good rest before heading back out on your trip. Unfortunately, the Apricot Tree Restaurant closed back in January as the owner became ill, so there is only Subway, Foster Freeze and McDonalds for now. I have heard that there is another food establishment and gas station coming soon, we will just have to wait to see what comes in and hopefully someone will open the restaurant again! Thank You, Sharon Bates Manager

"Ok but be careful (potential fraud)"

3
09/01/2016

A decent property with clean, good-sized rooms and a nice pool. In spite of the proximity to I-5, room noise didn't seem to be a problem. The ceilings are a little thin, so if you're a light sleeper, try the second floor. And with the restaurant closed, they attempt to bridge that gap with an included breakfast. So it's a comfortable place if you want to stop in the middle of the valley.. Two issues. - Staff isn't terribly service oriented. We were there with a large group that filled up quite a bit of the motel (not the typical travelers who might try to be on the road at 6 am) and they couldn't be bothered with a request for help with some breakfast items slightly outside of their set hours. One staff member ignored me and seemed more interested in having her own breakfast; another cited policy and refused to help. Strike one - Be forewarned: a bigger issue is that several people in the same group had their credit card numbers stolen. Initially we assumed it was overseas hackers, but the Fresno County detectives are investigating it and haven't ruled out an inside job. I hate to post this and scare people away from an OK place to sleep, but also want to forewarn people stopping in.

This is a nice hotel off interstate 5. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathrooms are better than your average highway hotel. They serve a complimentary breakfast and offer free internet. The Apricot restaurant is closed but there are several fast food restaurants nearby. I recommend this motel.

Firebaugh, Manager at BEST WESTERN Apricot Inn, responded to this review
We appreciate your response to your stay with us. Unfortunately, the Apricot Tree Restaurant closed unexpectedly in September of 2015. 03/11/2015

We had been traveling for 12 hours this day. There are not very many choices on Hwy 5. Room was nothing fancy but clean. A good place for a quick stay. We had a concern of this being a pet-friendly motel as we had problems with a different pet-friendly motel (dogs barking constantly and bad odor in room) The lady who check us in was very welcoming to us checking out the room before making our decision. We were very thankful for that.

17/10/2015

I was returning from a Family emergency and could not make it home that last night of travel. I remembered the Apricot Inn Best Western from a previous trip. Thankfully there was a room available and it was pretty late. I got the rest I needed and was able to make it to work in Pleasanton, CA by 9:30 AM. Thank you for being there for me on such a stressful trip.

There were two minor problems that were dealt with quickly and professionally. It was clean and neat, close to all the lplces we wanted to go and far enough out of the city where there were no hassles or traffic.

"Disappointing"

Eating area is way to small. Had to take food to room, as there was no place to sit. Pool was filthy and unusuable. The parking area and grounds are littered with pine needles, dirt, beer caps, cigarette packs and broken glass. Very noisy. Definitely will not return.

careing, polite staff.after a long day of driving the last thing one needs is to be held up checking in to a motel.thats one reason we stay at best western.in most cases the staff can give directions or recommend a good place for dinner.

"Great hotel but the most UNCOMFORTABLE beds ever"

This is hotel Is nice. I stayed in 202 and 143 and both rooms are recently remodeled and I thought they were done pretty well. My pillows smelled a bit like smoke and the beds were like sleeping on cement slabs. I didn't sleep more than 5 hours total in the whole three nights I was there I was that uncomfortable. However, it is close to where I need to be but I won't stay here again just because of the bed situation. Would love if their remodel included a hot tub. They have more than enough room for one and that would have at least been nice for the body after the awful beds. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was decent. Didn't like that they expired my room cards after the first night when I had a three night reservation. Also a little pricey for what you actually get but not too bad.

"Below Average for a Best Western"

We stopped here for the night out of necessity after driving nearly 800 miles. Front desk service was slow and unfriendly. Our room was just okay, seemed dingy and the chair in the room should have been contributed to Goodwill long ago.The overall surroundings did not feel safe. The breakfast in the morning was easily the worst Best Western breakfast we have ever experienced. When we went to check out, there was a sign "Be Back in a Minute". After about a ten minute wait we gave up. We will not stay here again.

"3 visits this year"

All three visits had the same issues. The place is being updated but the work in the rooms looks sloppy. All three rooms did not look vacuumed but maybe it's the vacuum not the maid. The room smells strong of perfume and the fitted sheet under the one you sleep on had blood or something on it meaning they changed the top sheets but did not notice the big chunk of blood on the side towards the wall. The outside looks very dirty, mattress's and frames in the back ice machine leaking. The good side is the breakfast is nice bed is comfortable. The front desk did not charge me for my pets which was real nice.

I-5 had construction so ended staying here, which was a great surprise. It is located in a truck stop area. The hotel was being remodeled, had truck parking, and really nicely done. There was breakfest, which was good.
