Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel and Suites

My family and I stayed for 3 nights while visiting the Craig and Steamboat Springs area. The hotel was very clean and the room was nice. Comfortable bedding and nice shower. The breakfast food was the usual hotel fare so fine. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit this area....

This is a beautiful hotel with a great setting in Craig, Colorado. The lobby fireplace was so welcoming on a cold , snowy January day. We interacted with 3 employees and they were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was nice and the food had a lot of variety. Our room was VERY clean and roomy. Very nice decor.

I booked this hotel because of the breakfast included, hot tub and swimming pool. The hot tub and swimming pool did not working most of our trip. The breakfast was cold most mornings. The laundry facilities were having problems also, cost me a lot of money to do a couple loads of laundry because of problems with the machines. Was not reimbursed by the front desk for the problem. Cleaning staff was very nice. Front desk Staff was very nice and friendly.

They had a hot breakfast available and there was a good variety of things to choose from. Coffee was okay/not too bad. Room was clean and neat and we were impressed with this hotel, except that the walls do not seem insulated. We could hear people talking in the next room at night and the room above us, we could hear them walking around. It made more noise than we have experienced at other Best Western hotels. The internet on the tv kept dropping out while watching a movie. But overall, we would still recommend this hotel, especially for the area, it is probably the best hotel they have. I typically prefer Best Western wherever I go. I find them to be the most overall satisfactory and consistent. They always have a full breakfast which I appreciate on a keto diet and I do not have to find a restaurant. I travelled with my husband but it was for his work. We had a long road trip and were exhausted so still slept despite the noise.

This a great hotel to stay at my family and I stayed here 2 years in a row! The staff is extremely friendly,and very helpful. The breakfast was very good too.On our way to meet family in Grand Junction Colorado.

Outstanding hotel. Room was very clean. Front desk staff and management were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is amongst the best we've ever had for a hotel. Clean lobby and pool. Fun exterior. Lovely area. We will most definitely return to the Best Western in Craig, Colorado.

A surprising jewel ! The staff is very accommodating. Allowed us to check in early. The lobby is a comfortable conversation area. Room/ bed very comfy and quiet. The pool which is indoors and a top reason for us choosing the hotel was small but a nice 86-88 degrees. The fitness center is just across the parking lot, a 24 Hour Fitness. There isn't a piece of equipt. that is not there. A bit congested in the building but it is a locals center and was included in our Best Western rate. We will be back if in the area. Don't miss the Cowboy Museum in Vernal. A great historical display of the areas individuals and interesting artifacts.

We made reservations as a stop on our journey. This was an excellent place to stop and relax. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was great, lots of options. The pool and hot tub helped with the relaxation before driving again. Will continue stopping here on our journeys through the area.

Just driving up to the hotel you know this place is well run. Lovely place but the best part was the staff, from the General Manager, to the front desk to the cleaning staff everyone was so welcoming and helpful, never felt more welcomed anywhere else. I would go back in an instance. Lovely in all ways.

We have been coming to this area for 39 years and this is absolutely the best place to stay! The entire staff is warm and welcoming and attentive to anything we need. Thank you, Alice, Mandi, Michelle and Mark and the entire housekeeping staff! You make this family trip wonderful for us and we can't thank you enough!

Awesome experience! Hotel and staff are awesome, especially Front Desk Manager, Donna. I had reserved several rooms and ended up having to make numerous changes. Donna was extremely helpful and accommodating. Rooms were exceptionally clean and the suites were quite spacious. Pool and hot tub were wonderful to use. Property is well maintained and was decorated so pretty for the holidays! Can't say enough about how excellent this property is!

The rooms were fantastic and of high quality! We enjoyed great service, and felt at home! Could not say more about how the staff took care of anything we needed and our room was cleaned EVERYDAY! Hard to find a hotel that cleans your room everyday when you stay for consecutive nights.

We stayed in room # 210; check in was very nice, the hotel was full. The room was very small (hardly enough room to pull out the chairs from the table), two queen beds, very nice details (embroidered pillows , (fake) flowers on sink, Pharmacopia amenities (no body lotion, though); the floors were very loud to walk on, grounds were beautiful, location was very quiet; breakfast was very good: sliced kielbasa, eggs, potatoes, plus the usual stuff. Pol and hot tub were closed (which was a real bummer for us!)

We stay at this hotel annually for a family trip and had another great visit again this year! Alice and the rest of the team continue to make us feel valued and welcomed. Everyone is always more than willing to help us with questions and accommodate any special requests we might have. We are grateful for such a kind and caring staff!

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel and to say the least it was fantastic! The staff is AWESOME! We had a accessible bathroom because I am recovering from a stroke, and the bathroom had bars everywhere and was huge which helped a lot!!! I definitely appreciated it. The next time we are in this area again we will DEFINITELY be considering staying here that's for sure! GREAT PLACE TO STAY!

I stayed overnight during a quick trip to Craig and was very pleased with my choice in hotels. The Best Western was clean, checked me in early, and was extremely quiet. Will be staying here in the future!

Our king bed suite, above the main entrance, was very comfortable. This hotel, on the edge of town, seems fairly modern and is well maintained. Full breakfast was included in the overnight rate. Staff were friendly and helpful during our one night stay.

Loved this hotel in Craig, Colorado. The staff was very welcoming and the hotel was decorated beautifully. Our room was quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had plenty of space and everything was clean. The pool area is lovely. We originally booked one night there and was so satisfied we decided to stay two nights.

We arrived around 11 pm as a stop over on our road trip out west. The employee at the front desk was kind and helpful and the room was clean. Our dogs slept as well as we did! In the morning, they gave us an extra hour to get out of the room which was very generous and helpful! The employee at the front desk in the morning was also kind and helpful. Would return if I'm ever passing through Craig again!

This is nicest Best Western that I have stayed in. It appears to have been recently remodeled. Our room was super clean and the staff was super nice. I was traveling with my dog and the staff was very nice to him. There is a potty area for the dogs, which is great. The room had a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator with small freezer so I was able to freeze my cooler's freezer pack. I would stay again. The building is also not on a main road so it very quiet.

Comfortable and clean rooms. Better signage from the road would have been nice. There was a sign saying McDonalds was 2 miles down the road and 4 miles to Best Western. We passed the McDonalds but there was no sign at a road crossing saying to turn or point the way to the motel. It was not a big deal as we knew the road to turn on but just make it easier for someone not paying attention to highway /road numbers.

We had a nice room with a kitchenette that had pots,pan,utensils. Pretty much whatever you wanted. We didn't use it,but it's nice. We had a comfy bed,very clean room. Breakfast was hot food, or cereal, muffins etc.great coffee and very much appreciated. Quiet room and great staff.

The staff were nice. They used my points to upgrade our room. We had a couch, chair and my favorite 2 tv's. 1 in living room & 1 in bedroom, which had a door. That way husband watches what he wants & I had my own tv and I could shut the door & not haveto hear his. I loved the private balcony you can go out on. They have a nice pool and hot tub outside. The breakfast was really good too and really appreciated.

We were staying as a group for a high school tournament. The front desk staff was very welcoming, efficient, and friendly. They had dinner recommendations for us, and even a phone charger when we realized we'd forgotten one of ours. What I really found extra was the attention to detail... mints on the bedside tables and vase with a flower on the vanity sink. We paid for the room with kitchenette, which was very well stocked! Including a hotplate, cookware, knives & papertowels. Highly recommend this Best Western location.

We love the Best Western in Craig for our annual family trip! Alice, Donna, Shalise and Becky as well as the rest of the staff made us feel so welcomed and appreciated once again. They make every effort to ensure we have a comfortable stay. We love the kitchenette rooms and amenities, including the air conditioning. We couldn't imagine staying anywhere else, thanks to this crew!

I really enjoy staying at this hotel. Everything is top notch here. From the rooms to the staff. They have accommodated me and my service dog every time and make me feel very welcome. I recommend this hotel to anyone that is stopping in Craig Colorado

Night 2 of 3 day trip home. Made reservation on-line via phone. Check in was seamless with 2 dogs (you never know). Room very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We did get juice and coffee at breakfast. The rest of the breakfast foods looked good (real eggs). If/When we make this trip again this is on the stop list

A wonderful place to stay. Great customer service. Very clean room and comfy bed. Hot breakfast was a plus. We pulled in late evening and got their last room! So glad we did. Couldn't have asked for a nicer room.

We stayed in the Suite. It was superbly clean and the bed was very comfy. Whoever works here in housekeeping deserves a raise. We stay in Best western plus all the time. But this particular hotel was spotless our room was perfect and breakfast was delicious!! Highly recommend this place!!

The Best Western Deer Park had clean rooms, a well stocked breakfast, polite staff and convenient location. The kitchenettes were very nice and included a dish washer and large fridge so we could fit a pizza box inside. We enjoyed our stay very much!

This hotel has the best breakfast, clean rooms and very friendly staff! In the past 2 months we stayed here 6 nights and plan to stay here when we are in town again. The bed is so comfortable and the kitchenette provide us with the option of cooking.

staff was extremely helpful and pleasant, did a good job with breakfast. Only complaint was that there was No house keeping the thanksgiving week end (Wednesday until I checked out on Saturday). I have stayed in this hotel several times and this time was the worst as far as house keeping.

We arrived early after driving from Dinosaur National Monument and stayed at the Best Western Deer Park hotel. The outside and common areas are very pretty, all done in a deer theme with statuary and a bear greeting you in the lobby. Reception was fine and we were checked in quickly. They do have a cart for luggage and an elevator to get to the 2nd floor. Our room was great. Very comfortable beds, large bathroom that was clean, and a mini-kitchenette (sink, large refrigerator, full size microwave, hot plate, dishes, etc.). Very quiet. We heard nothing all night. AC worked great and was quiet. Bathroom had a lot of hot water and was roomy. Citrus soap was fine. The breakfast area in on the 1st floor in former rooms near the desk. They had sausages, eggs, potatoes, decent coffee, muffins/toast individually wrapped, and breakfast burritos, sandwiches and other stuff in the fridge. Also had apple and orange juice. So a great stay well worth the price.

I've stayed here several times, and will again next time I travel through Craig. A nice facility, a block or two off US40. As the name implies, it's deer-themed, with deer on pillows, deer pictures and decor, etc. Very attractive, clean, comfortable, staff very helpful.

Saw the hotel online and booked a room easily. When we arrived, we noticed all the safety precautions were in place: masking of employees, housekeeping masked and gloved, and everything was spotless. breakfast food and service was very good with the staff member there replenishing food items and sanitizing after every guest left their tables. Terrific service! Upon leaving, I noticed an ink stain on my rental car seat that was NOT coming off! Alice, at the front desk, showed her concern and offered me a bottle of rubbing alcohol and a rag to clean it up. She went above and beyond and helped me out of a tight spot. We have not had service this good in a hotel/motel in years. The management needs to be very pleased with how their employees treat customers. This place is highly recommended by us. Brian

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times since March, specifically to go to the Sand Wash Basin to photograph the wild horses in the area. This hotel reflects the nature aspects of the region in and around Craig, CO. The staff is great, the rooms clean and quiet. Even during the Covid-19 restrictions, the hotel and staff were more than helpful and accommodating. I love the pillows on the beds, so comfy.

Probably the cleanest motel we have stayed at. Check in was easy and the front desk was very helpful and nice. Beds were extremely comfortable. We stayed here back in 2016 and were impressed with this motel and decided to try it again. Glad we did. Easy to get off and on the highway from here.

We were traveling between Rocky Mountain np heading to Utah. Easy location right off our route. Comfortable bed and a clean room. Free continental breakfast to get us going in the morning. Good value in hotels.

Spent the night here after a very long day of driving. Our room was super clean and comfortable. Office staff was okay. It was late on a Sunday evening and we were given a list of restaurants that were mostly closed. After a good night's sleep, we checked out early. Their ice machine was broken and the office help in the morning was very friendly and helpful. She gave us 2 zip lock bags for our little cooler to keep our water cold! Just what we needed.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel & Suites as we did a few months ago, and were so glad we selected this hotel again! Our kitchenette room was well equipped and comfortable, and we enjoyed the newly installed larger refrigerator as we generally had meals in our room. We enjoyed the grab and go breakfast options, and the coffee and tea offerings. Everyone made us feel very welcomed and appreciated! We truly appreciate the care for our comfort and safety especially during Covid. Our thanks to the entire staff for helping to make our family trip a great one!

Easy access, quiet room even though close to exit door. First night upstairs room was noisy with stomping on their floor, my ceiling. Second floor visitors need to be courteous of those on floor below.

Great spot to stay in Craig, Colorado. Very pleased with the quality of the hotel. It is in a quiet location, attractive grounds, exterior, lobby, and rooms. Will definitely make Best Western a choice in the future.

Nice place , nice room , decent breakfast , quiet room - All was fine until we got up around 4 and made coffee - 1 packet of standard , 1 packet of decaf ..... I usually put a regular and a decaf in the coffee maker to make it strong enough! So , tow of us , it was a draw which one gets coffee and which gets brown water! I would say , for a King size room , 2 of each would be minimum! Bathroom was more of a water closet than a bathroom , sink was out of the bathroom , beside the wet bar sink ??

For a comfortable, clean and professionally staffed hotel that takes time to meet your individual needs...it is my only choice in this town!! The Pool and Hot tub area is nicely laid out, the rooms are all you need. I have spent much more in other areas and not recieved the quality of "THIS" Best Western!!

For the cost of these rooms, I would have thought more comfort would have been found. Small, awkward rooms, uncomfortable mattress, just not a good stay for my wife and I. Service and staff was great, though!

We booked and prepaid for a king suite on the BW website (printout attached). Based on the pictures of the suite shown on the BW website, the room fit our needs for this trip. After driving 6 hours, and looking forward to relaxing, when we arrived, checked in and went to the room we were not happy to open the door to a standard king room. We immediately went back to the front desk to find a "be right back note" on the counter. After waiting a while with no one showing up, I called the hotel and as the phone was ringing, the front desk attendant showed up from down the hall. When I asked about the suite we were supposed to have she acted surprised and told us the only rooms left at the hotel were double queens. How can things go so screwed up when I used the BW website to do the booking? I suspect the suite was given to one of the regulars. We stay at hundreds of hotels (I am lifetime Titanium on Marriott) and have never had this happen when booking on the hotel chain website. We frequently stay at BW's and I have never seen this happen. We ended up having to go to a competitor across the street, having to reload the car with all our stuff and unload it again at the new hotel. After the front desk attendant called her manager, we were offered a refund and nothing else. That's just plain bad customer service for such a horrible mess up.

Nice, clean quiet hotel. Enjoyed the hot tub and light breakfast. This was a great location and stopping point on a trip sightseeing from Steamboat Springs to Dinasour. Great rate booked through Best Western as I like to collect reward points towards stays.

We had an absolutely fantastic trip in the midst of the Covid pandemic, and chose this hotel due to their strict cleaning policies. We loved the kitchenettes to make meals in our rooms during this challenging time. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating! Everyone made us feel so valued and appreciated at each interaction. This will now be our hotel of choice during our annual family trip!

Room was very clean, staff was really nice. Location was good for our purposes. the parking lot was postioned right to accomodate large vehicles. Housekeeping was good about assisting with extra items as needed..........

We received truly excellent customer service from everyone, and I do mean every one! Not only management and front desk staff, but also the friendly and efficient folks who took care of our room and the grounds made this a lovely stay. The hotel itself is pretty and kept beautifully, with lovely landscaping and both non-pet patio, complete with grills,seating,lawn and garden, and a huge, green lawn where dogs can walk and play. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and very clean, and, even with the challenges Covid 19 presents, they are able to offer a tasty and generous complimentary breakfast, and open indoor hot tub and pool. The fact that they pet friendly and kind to their four-legged guests makes it all the better. Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel and Suites exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to stay again!

I stayed at this hotel after having extensive back surgery. Every staff member I had encounters with, went above and beyond just being courteous. They genuinely cared how I was doing with recovery. This best western location is incredibly clean and they are taking every precaution to keep their guests safe and comfortable. Thank you to the staff at best western for going above and beyond what is expected of you to make your guests feel at home, away from home. I will be highly recommending this hotel and will stay here on future trips.

After a long day of driving, it was so nice to easily locate this hotel. The young lady at the front desk quickly completed check-in and directions to our room. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk provided multiple options for dinner and we opted for a place directly across the street. The grounds were well kept and we would visit again.

The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is very close to down town for entertainment and food. The hotel is also right across the street for business or personal needs.

Easy access to the work we needed to complete for the week. Clean and comfortable rooms and the windows opened which was really nice! We didn't use facilities b/c of COVID, but appreciated all the extra cleaning efforts. It was obvious!

Stayed 3 1/2 months for business. Could not use my work laptop because the wifi kept cutting out. Didn't sleep well, could hear my neighbors TV, I would either call the front desk or the room directly (awkward). The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Have stayed here twice now and it continues to impress me with both the staff and the property itself! Clean with premium bedding and 42” plus tv with plenty of channels for anyone to be happy! The best part is a two headed shower assembly!

This hotel had such a pleasant feel to it. The entire place was spotless, including the pool area. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. We will definitely be staying there again in the autumn. Please dont change a thing.

I had written a review on my stay at Best Western 11/23-24 - Since that review the owner (Kerry Moe) and the Director of Sales (Allice Long) both reached out. So I am updating the review. In my initial review - I indicated that I had no working heater and was only offered a blanket when I called the front desk (it was 17 degrees out that night). This was reiterated to me when I called the next day to express my concern again. Clearly this is not the customer service I expected and from the response from managment neither did they. I trust they will do some further education of the staff to help them be empowered to address major concerns when they arise. The staff was all very pleasant and friendly. I was very pleasantly surprised at the attention of the senior management once they were made aware of the issue. Based on this - I have elevated my rating to Very Good. While the stay had problems - in the end, they worked to make it right. I would certainly give this location a try again next time I'm in Craig and will certainly give Best Western a try again as well.

I stayed on a night where temp went down to 17. The heater in the room did not work, reported - i was only offered a blanket - fortunately i had long underwear. Change of room or compensation should have been offered.

We're in Craig at least twice a year to photograph the Sand Wash Basin wild horses, we've always stayed at the Hampton. This year, we stayed here. Everything was perfect, except the hunters who's trucks and trailers, campers, etc, filled up the parking lot. Their bed were much softer than the Hamptons, which I appreciated due to the arthritis in my hips. Separate sink and bath areas. Loved the decor. Pillows were decent too. Staff was all friendly and helpful. The breakfast room ladies did a great job, keeping up with the hunters, emptying the coffee pots. They offered free cookies at night, but again, they all seemed to magically disappear. Our only complain is, our room was in the middle of the hall, there is only one elevator, which is at the end of hallway. Being in our 70's, in was quite a walk from either the lobby, or the side parking lot, into the building, up the stairs or elevator and then down the long hallway to our room. Another elevator more centrally located would have be great, or one at the other end of hall. Pool area looked sparkly, entire place was extremely clean and well cared for. Also, if they had a pet friendly suite, this would be where we always stayed.

I know that one of the perks of being a Best Western rewards member is that we sometimes get an upgrade and we got that here. I know that it's based on availability and how busy they are but we appreciated being given a nice room upgrade.

I stayed for an extended time for business at the Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel & Suites. Everyone from the owner, manager, front desk to housekeeping were very helpful, friendly and accommodating - it made my stay very enjoyable and welcoming !!! They also have a wonderful breakfast which includes some special touches like an option of Almond Milk, real plates and utensils and great attention to making sure there is plenty of everything available for breakfast. They also give you a wonderful fresh baked cookie when you check in !!! Can't beat that !!! Thanks again for making me feel so welcome !!!

Deer Park was a great place to spend our time. The town is rich in history and growing travel destination. We had many options of places to stay and by far staying at the Best Western was the right choice. It was clean, a great price, excellent breakfast and a friendly staff.

This motel is well maintained and has a great breakfast! The staff is very friendly. I recommend this motel to anyone travelling and staying in Craig, Colorado. The free breakfast is very good and the rooms are well maintained and updated. The bear at the front door is very welcoming!

From the carpet to the shower in the pool area to the beautiful rooms and welcoming cookie...this was a wonderful experience. Great staff. Great clean room. Breakfast that included bacon, a granola bar, waffles, and more. Hot tub and pool area were immaculate as was the outside that even had beautiful statues. Stay here while in Craig, you will love it.

Booked one night here after reading the reviews and it is a nice and clean hotel. Didn't want to stay in Steamboat Springs and pay the higher prices, so didn't mind driving the extra 45 miles, as we were traveling the scenic byways and just staying one night in each stop. The room was spacious and clean, lots of pillows on the bed, and towels were ok. Our room was too close to highway and parking lot light for my preference, but did wait to book earlier that day. We weren't sure if we were going to drive all the way there after being in Estes Park and visiting relatives near Loveland, so we waited until that day to book. Next time I will book ahead and be able to request a different room. Didn't take advantage of the pool as we arrived after 7:30PM and needed to eat dinner. I found it very strange that you get a cheaper rate by calling the BW 800 number than by booking direct with the hotel, it is usually the other way around. The breakfast room attendant was pleasant and eggs were ok. Don't do sausage, they had small brat type sausages and little potato cubes, wish they would do bacon. Was excited to see Nosa yogurt in a flavor I like, but then disappointed as both flavors were expired. Would definitely stay here again if we get to travel this direction again.

I was expecting typical and usual complimentary breakfast. This exceeded my expectations. In addition to fresh cooked eggs, potatoes, and meat of the morning (bacon, sausage, or ham) they had Belgian waffles sugar free syrup and jelly. They also had lactose free alternatives. I loved waking up to this perfect breakfast.

Located online. Called, booked room for one night, but ended up staying two. Great helpful staff at check in and out. Also in the breakfast room. Clean, quiet, comfortable beds. Only reason didn't put 5 is because in breakfast room patron was allowed to bring their non service dog in there where she proceeded to pet the big dog, and, then, handle the serving spoons, appliances, and everything else in the breakfast room self serve area. I love animals too, but some people could be allergic to dogs, come in there, and touch those areas, then touch their mouths etc. and have a reaction.

We had been on the road for 28 of 31 days, and love Best Western. We picked this one only because of the location. It was on the way home and the right distance from the last place. We were so delighted to find this oasis in Northwestern Colorado. The breakfast was amazing, including fresh from the shell scrambled eggs, great potatoes, excellent bread and tasty pastries.

The room was nice and the staff was very friendly. I especially liked the gym across the street that the hotel provided for guests. I'm definitely staying at this hotel again the next time I'm in town.

The staff is always above and beyond personable. They want your stay to be perfect. Very nice hotel with a small pool and hot tub. There breakfast room is clean and comfortable. Internet is as good as one can get in Craig, CO.

This is a wonderful hotel, very clean friendly staff and conveniently located. Had good restaurants nearby. The breakfast was good, hot, and tasty. I certainly would stay again at Deer Park. I recommend this hotel.

Deer Park BestWestern was a very friendly hotel. We had a suite and it was quite nice....well appointed. We appreciated the assistance of the front desk. Check in and check out was easy. The breakfast was adequate....healthy choices were provided. The entire property is very clean and modern. The only concern I had was that there is NOT a restaurant on site....the information I was provided indicated that there was a restaurant on-site...this was disappointing as we chose the location so that we did not have to leave the hotel. Even so, it was a fine place to stay and they did have a hot breakfast.

We stayed here during a three week trip to Yellowstone and the Black Hills as it was half way between Rocky Mountain and Dinosaur NPs. The accommodation was good, and included almond milk and fresh fruit for my dairy free wife. Plenty of eating out alternatives. Unfortunately the pool only opened at 8.

Friendly staff! Up to date, spacious and clean rooms! All the amenities that are needed to feel at home. Refrigerator, microwave, dishes, glasses, cutlery, hot plate and coffee maker along with pots and pans! Great FREE breakfast! Amazing price!

The front desk staff was great, and our suite was perfect for our stay. Breakfast was very good, and the pool was immaculate! The property has very nice landscaping, and a really nice patio area. They even mailed a small item to us that we forgot in our room a couple of days after we checked out - at no cost to us! The next time we are in this area, we will definitely stay here again!

Comfortable beds. Pleasant staff. It was great to have real plates and cutlery at breakfast. High five to the owner for spending a bit more money to hire someone to wash dishes. You are giving someone a job! You are also not filling the landfill site.

I was very comfortable. Room was clean, bed was relaxing and staff was very friendly. Noise quality was great. If I work in this area again. I would rest my head in this hotel. I'm not a big fan of pet friendly hotels, but this hotel was very clean and no pet hairs on the carpet. Great cleaning staff....

We passed through Craig after hours of driving and stumbled upon this hotel. Really friendly staff, had lovely chat with the lady doing the breakfast service. Nice room with an amazing double shower head (was like getting a massage) comfy beds. We made use of the pool and hot tub which was divine after a long day of driving. Enjoyed the breakfast too, potatoes, eggs, bacon, waffles, yoghurts, cereals etc. Definitely recommend.

The hotel and staff were very nice. We had to pull off the road early as a truck kicked up rocks off the side of the road and cracked the windshield of our rental car. We ordered the best pizza delivered to our room and slept comfortably. The only unfortunate issue was that the staff shut down the breakfast buffet a 1/2 hour early and we had to incur the additional cost of breakfast in town.

Stayed one night as in the area for snowmobile race . Room was comfortable had everything we needed . Bed was comfortable. Room was clean, staff nice helpful plan to return someday . I also love the wildlife statues outside . I grew up in Colorado and have seen all the wildlife . Morning breakfast was good no complaints about the hotel a nice place

This is such a nice place to stay and we have been staying there for more than 10 years, every time we go to Craig. We feel like we are home,but even better! The staff is super! The owners are friendly and helpful. Everything is just right from the amenities ( the towels are large and fluffy) to the cute little deer who greeted us in the morning, just outside our door! Breakfast was perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, nicely decorated, dog friendly (yay!), had a satisfying breakfast, and everyone was friendly! I also left an item and when we called, the person with whom we spoke immediately offered to mail it to me. Appreciate the integrity. We'll be back again!

We stayed in the King suite with a kitchenette, and did our best to keep the room clean during our 3 day travel. Breakfast was hot and consistent with eggs, pork and potato's. Hot tub was a little chilly for my taste but the customer service was amazing and had no issues. Bed didn't work well with my back but the girlfriend slept like a baby. I've stayed in both this hotel and the Hampton in Craig to ski Steamboat Springs and prefer Best Western.

I was really impressed with this place. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Friendly employees at check-in and checkout. The hotel is quiet. Breakfast was pretty standard for best western. I would stay here again.

We were hunting Elk in the Hayden area and Craig is the closet city with decent hotels. First, Kirsten is delightful. She was very accommodating both when I made the reservation on the phone and when we checked in. The beds are very comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast was excellent and hardy. What we REALLY appreciated was that the breakfast started at 5 am since we had to be on the road by 5:45. Most hotels don't start serving until 6 am

We stayed at this hotel for the last night of our road trip. It's a beautiful hotel, with lovely rooms. The bed and pillows were great, the room had a large flat screen TV and a comfy chair by the bed with a foot rest for TV viewing or reading. The full, hot breakfast in the morning was amazing! Eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, cereals etc. The best breakfast we've every had at any hotel! Service and staff also wonderful. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

For a reasonable rate, I booked a very nice and clean king suite with a small kitchen and seating area for three of us. (2 adults and a child). I used the laundry but the washing machine wasn't working so well and the dryer couldn't handle the really wet clothes. The front desk staff said she would use the hotel dryer to help us out. We were leaving the next day and I guess we could have gone to a laundry in town so she really helped us out. Thank you! Upon leaving that next day, 6 or 7 bikers from Alberta Canada left their coffee cups scattered in the parking lot as they roared away. I told the front desk about the trash and they quickly cleaned up the mess left by our northern neighbors. This hotel cares and I would recommend.

This is my first, and perhaps only, visit to Craig, Colorado and we made reservations to stay at the Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel & Suites using my rewards points. We had some difficulty checking in as the computers seemed to be acting up and making it impossible for the clerk to find our reservation. Finally, after about ten or fifteen exhausting minutes, we were checked in and given a welcome package of cookies, a granola bar and a couple of bottles of water. The double queen room seemed very small to me; perhaps that is their way of keeping the heating and A/C costs to a minimum. The breakfast room is only open from 5 am until 9 am (pretty early hours) and the offerings were some of the plainest and simplest that I've encountered in a Best Western. There were scrambled (powdered?) eggs, breakfast potatoes, and the last link sausage. I also acquired a raspberry yogurt and a glass of apple juice to go along with the regular coffee (decaf is available at the front desk). There was the ubiquitous waffle iron, but I didn't make use of it on this occasion. The building and grounds are extremely well-maintained and squeaky clean; I wouldn't be surprised to learn that it is a fairly new property. In addition, there are (iron?) many statues of various animals (deer, elk, moose, bear, mountain lion, etc.) well-placed in strategic locations and the room decor is designed to match the rustic, lodge theme. But, again, everything is immaculate. Although the check-out time isn't until noon, housekeeping dropped by about 9:30 am to see if we were still in the room. I don't think the hotel was that full last night so a simple check with the front desk would have confirmed our presence in the room. Finally, there is a small pool, but no fitness center on the premises (they have an arrangement with a nearby establishment). All things considered, this is a nice hotel but, as I've found in similar situations, I don't understand the "Plus" designation - but, I'll give them an "A" for effort and the benefit of the doubt. I recommend this hotel and I will stay here again if I have the chance to.

A very modern hotel in a complex of hotels on the outskirts of town. Well serviced room and very pleasant staff. The outside area was decorated with some amazing animal statues. Pleasant Breakfast but no evening meals or bar.

I usually stay with Hilton Brand Hotels. My Mom was traveling with me and she had stayed here prior and wanted to stay here again. I was very happy I did. The check in was quick and easy with a very nice person. The room was clean and had a microwave, refrigerator and coffee service. The double shower head was excellent, with hot water and lots of water pressure. The breakfast area was well kept and the food was decent. Everyone was very nice and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

From check in to check out the process was flawless. Nice complementary breakfast, the grandchildren enjoyed the pool. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. We stayed here last year when we were in the area, and will do so the next time we are in the area.

Had planned to stay in Steamboat Springs, but no rooms available so drove on to Craig and very happy with the stay. On Western edge of city and easy to find. Close to Walmart. Also easy access to Highway South to Rifle, Colorado which was our designation.

Two of my buddies and I traveled to Craig Colorado yesterday on motorcycles. Prior to getting there, we encountered a hailstorm. This was after many hours of riding. We arrived at this hotel worn out beaten and battered. The young guy behind the desk was very professional, friendly and fast. I'm sorry I don't remember his name however his professionalism and customer service was outstanding. After the three of us checked in, he Went out of his way and ask if there was anything else he could do for us. Again outstanding customer service. With regards to the hotel, all three rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool area was very clean as well. If you're in that area I recommend you stay here.

We made a reservation the week before and the price was reasonable. We visited friends before going to the hotel, check-in took a minute or two, our room was clean, the beds were great, and we fell asleep. I showered the next morning and was surprised to find nice towels and nice soap and shampoo. The double shower-head was interesting and felt great. We had breakfast a few doors from or room and that was surprisingly well done too. I had coffee, orange juice, a bagel and English muffin, scrambled eggs and sausage, and a fresh banana. We didn't have to get something after leaving. We were on the road by 7 AM. A great stay.

Based on a stay here 9 years ago, I booked this hotel for the night we visited Dinosaur National Monument. We weren't disappointed: the hotel has been well-maintained, was very clean and comfortable. Recommended!

Great place! Clean, comfortable rooms, with everything you might need. Staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Dog friendly with a designated place outside for them to do their business, poop bags, and receptacle. Good breakfast too. When in the area, will stay here again. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for two nights on our way to and from Dinosaur National Monument. They have an arrangement with a next-door gym so you walk across the street with a key and have access to a full gym. Everything was great, what you'd expect: complimentary breakfast, pool, etc. It was clean and staff was very good.

My stay was fantastic! Mary at the front desk went above and beyond to make me feel welcome and was delightful. The rooms are extremely clean a relaxing. The dual head shower was a nice surprise also. I spend most of my time on the road and in motels and this is one of the best stays I have had hands down.

We were very pleased with our overnight stay. Mary at the front desk was most pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean, in excellent condition, the bed very comfortable and I enjoyed the good shower head. I do always mention, though, whenever a hotel uses those little half-size pillows. I will be so happy when that trend has run its course.

The hotel staff were very nice but the room was exceptionally small and under sized and we just had a king bed and not 2 queens. We stay in an assortment of hotels and this room was narrower and shorter than any we have stayed at. It's probably an older hotel, with room standards from the 20 years ago that has been updated.

This was the best run, well maintained hotel I have stayed in ever. Upon arrival I thought that the hotel was new, only to find out it is 20 years old. The owners make every effort to insure that everything is maintained to the highest standards. All of the staff that I interacted with had a very professionally appearance and dressed accordingly. We enjoyed very much our stay at this great hotel in Craig. The front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. Rooms were very clean and well-lit. Beds were very comfortable. Wi-Fi worked well. Shower had two-heads on the spray. We will stay here again if we are back in Craig.

My work colleagues recommended this hotel as very good and it surpassed my expectations. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was spacious, well set up, decorated nicely. The bed was very comfortable. I have extremely bad allergies and often have problems in hotels due to comforters not being washed regularly and air/heat vents not being cleaned regularly, and I had no problems here. Nice place, pleasant decor and sculptures around building, very clean and well kept. Hall way carpets were being clean while I was there, but drying fans were in place and removed at night to not disturb guests. Very thoughtful of the staff.

Pros: new, clean, nice décor, friendly desk help, nice bedding and blanket. Cons: single manual door entry--tough with baggage in tow. 8:30 am maids knocking on our door to clean room. Awkward, frustrating wifi sign in. Small room. Sink in room. We had a first floor room--three feet outside our window was parking for a car dealership. $136 seemed high.

We spent just one night here, but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They are pet friendly, with a $10- fee. Our room was very comfortable, with great beds. The hotel has gone the extra mile in decorating the outside areas with bronze wildlife statues, and the inside was also well presented and very clean. Tasty breakfast and a friendly staff made the stay that much better. They provided a list of local dining options, with a helpful rating system. Mary at the front desk helped in making a great dinner selection. We'd be proud to stay here in the future or recommend it to others.

We were very happy with our one night stay here. It was very nicely furnished and updated. The room was very comfortable, with nice bed, linens, etc. All very clean. It lived up to our high expectations of a Best Western Plus. We are becoming very loyal to this brand since they added the included hot breakfast to their model.

I booked this property as most hotels were booked in Craig. I was surprised by the new, beautiful layout of the property. The front desk team was friendly and helpful. The room was large with a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. The wi fi had some issues but I was told at checkin they were having issues. It may have had something to do with the prolonged thunderstorm in the area. I will stay here again.

Our suite room was fantastic. Huge space with any amenity you could imagine. That said, there are a few layout issues of this hotel which you should keep in mind. First off, the only elevator is located in the back right of the hotel as viewed from the front desk. It could not have been more inconvenient especially when every parking space near the elevator entry was taken. It made for a cumbersome entry and exit from the hotel. Our rooms were polar opposite the elevator location, but on the second level nearly directly above the front desk. We were forced to cross the entire length of the hotel twice with our luggage when a centrally located elevator would have been way too easy. We needed ice for our picnic cooler. We could not locate the ice machine. 3 different employees gave us different locations before the nice gal at the front desk finally had to escort me to it. It's on the first floor within the laundry room. Our typical BW breakfast had to be one of the most lackluster experiences we have had at any BW. Even the attendant seemed drained and uninspired. I am not a great breakfast fan. BW makes the experience difficult under the best circumstances. This place was excruciating. The exterior grounds are littered with various animal statues. We found it odd and comical, but not necessarily off putting. Just different. We stayed at this location before I long drive to Dinosaur National Monument.

Loved the statuary on the grounds,wolf,bear,deer,etc. Really added to the atmosphere of the place. Also the interior and employees were great! The breakfast was really good, I have to have my eggs and meat to get the day going.

We like to stay at BW because we know what to expect and Deer Park did not disappoint. All the amenities you expect and nice and clean. Internet was OK and I would like a bit faster speed but when you are on the road you can't expect the speed you get at home. BW is a standard that we have come to expect at a price we are happy with.

This is a very clean nicely landscaped Motel. The area that a motel is located in is a very quiet town. The Best Western there is exceptional and the staff is wonderful. On a scale of 1 to 10 this motel is a 10 because of the Staff, Landscaping, and Cleanliness. Enjoy Your Day

We had a wonderful time. The hotel is nice and the staff are amazing. It felt like a home away from home! We were traveling with another family and a group of kids. Everything was perfect for all of us!

I enjoyed my one-night stay at this hotel located on the edge of Craig, Colorado. The staff were friendly and helpful, and very efficient. My room was tidy, clean and attractive, although quite small (otherwise, I would have rated this hotel as a 5-star). The swimming pool was small but refreshing. I'd stay here again in the future.

Our 1 and only concern was the bed, probably standard in most hotels now, was too high for my 90 yr Mom. I've brought this to their attention and I'm hoping the handicap room(s) will be equipped with a lower bed so our families can stay there with Mom next year. This is a beautiful property The owners have established a sculpture garden with lovely deer, bear, mountain lion etc located through the outdoor area It is really quite amazing! The interior is lovely too and the room very well equipped and comfortable The check in was great and the desk person gave us a great dinner recommendation It was a memorable stay!

Tbe hotel was very nice, we had a problem with our room, we were supposed to get 2 beds and we had a king suite, the lady at the desk fixed right away even though she was slammed with alot of people trying to get their rooms. I travel often, and the Deer Park in Craig is my all time favoriate facility. Thebeds and pillows are very comfortable...I always get a good night's sleep there. This place is immaculate!!! The lighted, magnifying mirrors are the best. Good coffee, great people, perfect location. The folks at the Deer Park are the best!!!! I didn't have my dog with me this time, but when he does accompany me, they are exceptionally accomodating and welcoming.

Last minute trip for a baseball tournament. The staff was extremely helpful and willing to give us a very reasonable price. The rooms were extremely clean and beds were very comfortable. If you're ever in the area, I would highly recommend staying here.

My husband and I stayed here during a 6500 mile trip across the US to sightsee and visit family. This is an absolutely beautiful, brand-new hotel. The rooms were lovely, with quiet AC (we have found that to be unusual), and the “clean remote” program, which I love. Check-in staff was friendly and welcoming, offering a list of local restaurants and making recommendations from the list upon request. Unfortunately, morning staff was disinterested and somewhat rude. I suggest requesting rooms away from the lobby – staff members took their smoke breaks immediately under our open window, and apparently believed they were having private cell phone conversations (we overheard all about someone's upcoming back surgery while getting ready to leave). Overall, however, the hotel was quiet and clean and exceptionally lovely. I would stay here again anytime.

From the front desk staff to the maids, our needs were catered to. The breakfast was good, the bed comfortable, the staff was outstanding. We will be back, and we will recommend this hotel to our friends and relatives when they are in the area.

Good hotel for the price. Nice animal statues around the property. Hotel has an animal policy, but does not provide smoking rooms. I would think it is easier to clean the air then clean the floors after animals. I never saw any kind of carpet cleaning machines working.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in. Caring and friendly staff, clean well kept rooms, an awesome shower with double heads, lots of hot water and pressure, fluffy towels, a comfortable bed, good breakfast, a great value. The building is 23 years old but so well taken care of that it looks new. We would recommend this hotel to our friends for sure. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the best, I give it at least a 13-14!!!

We've stayed in other hotels in Craig but always return to the Best Western Deer Park. Now we'll only stay here. The rooms and hotel have been updated and the bed is the MOST comfortable I've ever slept in, including my bed at home! If you can't sleep there are rooms outside of my hotel room where I can read or work on the computer. Very nice for my work purpose. Key here: Clean AND Comfortable.

Needed a place for the weekend during a month long stay in CO. These two days were awesome. The place is beautiful and clean! Breakfast had a good variety of choices. This gorgeous hotel with all the pewter animals on the exterior just gave the whole place a nice country feel. The kids loved the indoor pool!

This is a quality hotel. My room was far better than expected for the price, which was reasonable by todays standards. The exterior and public areas of the hotel were well maintained and inviting. The staff was knowledgable and helpful. All in all, most pleasant experience.

We found this hotel after a long drive. Good location near a Subway sandwich shop, grocery stores and a gas station! Not really much of a view. They do have breakfast. There is also a small green space to walk your dog. They also have a pool and jacuzzi on site! Clean stay with a good night sleep!

We loved staying here while we explored back country roads....don't miss Gates of Lodore and Vermillion Falls in far NW corner of Colorado near Dinosaur National Park.

This hotel is over the top nice! Always love stopping here and catching my breath. Clean, safe, and very comfortable. Great breakfast with enormous spacious rooms. Towels linens and bathroom amenities are superb. We had 6 pillows on our bed! And the bed was beautiful. Room was very tasteful.

A great relaxing break from motorcycling for the 12hours before I got there. The bed was great and you could set the temp and fan duration with ease. I would definitely come back and stay. I would have enjoyed a more diverse breakfast menu.

The front desk service service was excellent. Courteous and helpful service. The rooms are clean and quiet. The beds are very comfortable. Great night's sleep. The hotel is very pet friendly, and the grounds are set up for walking dogs.

This is a relatively new facility and is nicely landscaped and maintained. The staff is nice and helpful. Breakfast was good. In-room wi-fi was OK. It is pet-friendly and there is a nice dog walk. Would stay here again.

I chose this Best Western on the internet because I liked the "homey" feel to this hotel. It turned out to be a great place for me to stay. The room was clean, freshly painted and redecorated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was ample, including a space for people hauling stock trailers or RV's. The location is on the western edge of Craig, closest to my destinations for this trip.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff are wonderful and beyond helpful. Original reservations were lost and staff went out of the way to rectify the problem and provide me the rooms I counted on. The staff will go over and beyond to ensure the best experience possible.

Just an overnight stay, but happy with the property. Not really walking distance to much, but well maintained and helpful staff. No fitness room in the building, but 24/7 access to a GREAT facility across the street. Breakfast is good, but could use more fresh fruit. Overall clean and well cared for.

Comfortable beds,nice service, decent breakfast, great hot tub/pool . Only issue was the TV guide wasn't functioning and wifi disconnects often. Probably the nicest hotel in craig. Other than the tv and wifi issue we had a great stay.

Seeing Wild Horses, and the round up of Horses that run down the street of Mabell Colorado on Sunday May the 7 2017 at about 8;00 am. and going to the Sand Wash Herd Management Area , and driving on the Wild Horse Loop.

When pulling up to this hotel we were in awe of the beauty of this hotel. It was decorated with large life size sculptures of elk and other animals, the landscaping was awesome. The inside was just as beautiful, rooms were decorated nicely and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again next time we go to Craig CO.

Our basketball team of both boys and girls were traveling to Steamboat Springs for a basketball tournament and need a place to stay that was affordable and couldn't find rooms that we could afford for our team budget so we called around and found other motels in Craig but but Best Western went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and we couldn't have chosen a better place. Thanks to their amazing staff I'm sure we will stay again in the future!!!

Best hotel in Western Colorado, clean, affordable, helpful staff who are friendly and knowledgeable. The rooms and facility are clean and nicely decorated. If this hotel was full and I couldn't get a room here, I'd rather camp out than stay anywhere else in Craig, CO.

This hotel is an excellent value for the money. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well kept. Breakfast was fresh each day. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub each evening. We drove 40 minutes each way to Steamboat Springs each day to ski and stayed here because of the value and quality of this property. It was worth the drive and will do it again next ski season.

Stayed here this past weekend. Warm and polite front desk. Nice and clean physical plant. 10 minutes from downtown. One hour from Steamboat, our conference area. Great value for price so chose here over Steamboat lodging.

Nice accomodations for my nephew and me. Breakfast had plenty of options for a hearty breakfast such ad eggs and sausage with lighter fare options available. The timing worked with our schedule of being out before sunrise.

Stayed at the Best Western in Craig. Got a good nights sleep, bed was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and included in price. I would definitely recommend this place especially since it is economical and you get a clean room, comfortable bed, and a nice breakfast.

We stayed here one night and had an excellent visit. On the main floor it was quiet even though it was sold out. Used the pool and hot tub several times. It was on the edge of town so very limited traffic or street noise. Very clean and all the staff were friendly and said hi to you. The person at the front desk could not do enough for you. The decor was quite unique. The breakfast next morning was quite good and the two women working there were always chatting and happy a real excellent hotel. I enjoyed every minute of this stay and would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The pillow top bed was extremely comfortable. The double shower head was awesome. Very clean, very courteous staff. The breakfast was stocked and good. The hotel catered to hunters, which was why we were in town. Highly recommended.

This Best Western was a great place for the price. Check in was easy. The girl was so nice to give us a room close to elevator as I was having trouble with my knees and couldn't walk a long way. My husband also inquired about a good local Mexican place for dinner. She told us about her favorite place. We went there for dinner and couldn't have been happier.

My wife and I stayed here in late September. The lady I talked to at the front desk was really proffesional and attentive. I was impressed by that. Also,the shower head in our room was by far the best during our 2 week vacation. I really felt rested after that. I highly recommmed here if you are in the area.

We spent 2 nights at the Deer Park Hotel & Suites in Craig Colorado. The staff was probably the nicest we have encountered at any motel and the room was very clean and comfortable. The landscaping was beautiful. I would definitely stay there again.

We took a two-week road trip in September 2016 staying primarily in budget and mid-range lodgings. We were interested in clean, reasonably priced, easy to find places with good free WiFi, quiet HVAC systems, showers with decent flow, and a hot breakfast that had some variety. The BW+ Deer Park Hotel & Suites met or exceeded all of these requirements. The room and beds were very comfortable. The shower featured two heads and plenty of flow. There is off-sale wine and beer available from the front desk and they'll also prepare a basic pizza for you. All of the places we stayed on our trip met our expectations when we booked them. This property exceeded them. If you're traveling US 40, the property is on Colorado 13 south. So if you're coming from the east, you need to go past the downtown area (and don't turn north on 13) toward the west side before turning south on 13. It's less than a quarter of a mile from the 40-13 intersection on the left hand side.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Deer Park Hotel in Craig Colorado on our trip to Yellowstone. The room was very clean and nice. The beds were great. The shower has two large shower heads and was the best of all the hotels we stayed on this trip of eleven days.

I often go to Craig (solo) to photograph the Wild Mustangs in Sand Wash Basin. My wife came with me on this trip to see the mustangs and the Fall Colors. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is exceptional---the only thing preventing an excellent rating was the size of the room. We had a king and it was on the smaller size.

We came to Craig for our boys' football game, and since it was a long way home, we chose to spend the night and drive the next day. We chose this hotel based on its reviews, and we were not disappointed. I set up the manager for a group of families to stay. The process was easy and saved us time and money. The hotel was probably the cleanest, best maintained and friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. I travel across the country a few times a year, and have stayed in many hotels. This one deserves its high marks!

Because we had stayed at this Best Western and loved it a few years ago, we didn't hesitate to return when the opportunity arose this year. Accommodations in the mountains that allow pets are rarely this nice! This property has been recently renovated and it is very comfortable and inviting. In the standard king room, the vanity/sink area is separate and a bit small and the tub/toilet are in a separate room across from the sink. Great soft comfy bed...so soft I could hardly get out of it! Interior corridors, very quiet. Breakfast was average with good selections, however on the second day it was not stocked well and the staff was having some issues getting food, coffee, plates and cups out. We didn't require much attention from the front desk staff, but they were friendly and helpful as needed. The grounds of this property are beautiful and well kept with a large pet area off to one side. Very Colorado! We will always come back here, a wonderful stay.

I have had to stay in Craig, CO multiple times in the past years for business. The staff at this hotel are simply amazing. Doing their job seems like a joy for them and it shows in how they treat each other and more important the guests. My husband and I use to own a B&B and customer service and cleanliness are most important to me while staying in hotels. These folk excel at both. Great location and never had a loud or bad experience. Extra treat is having a deer move across the grounds just minutes after thinking it was one of the many statues around the property.

My husband and I did a weekend getaway to take in the beautiful fall colors and stayed in Craig at the Deer Park Best Western. We had our 2 dogs with us and they are very pet friendly!! It was the nicest Best Western that we have stayed at in all of our travels. It looked brand new even the hotel is over 20 years old, very clean, great continental breakfast and beautiful grounds. The pet area is actual grass and clean, so obviously well maintained by staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to any one traveling in the area. We will definitely be back!!

This is definitely the best hotel in the Craig CO area, but it IS rather pricey. The breakfast is good, the rooms are clean and well-equipped, and overall it feels new. The only problem I had was that we were assigned a room on the second floor toward one end of the vote. and the elevator was at the very end of the other...since I was traveling with my 92-year-old Mom, that was rather inconvenient. That's a design flaw, not a staff flaw though.

We were in town to referee the first ever Junior College soccer games for Colorado Northwestern CC. The hotel had a great rate and was the #1 rated hotel on trip advisor. We had 2 games on Friday and 2 games on Saturday. They allowed us a late check out, so we could shower after the Saturday games. That made the drive back to Denver much more comfortable. The included breakfast was very good. Plenty of choices.

Our two families spent four nights at this hotel as our children competed in the three-day Colorado State Swim Meet. The accommodations were very clean, and we had friendly and efficient maid service. The indoor pool and hot tub were just right for some after-dinner relaxation. Favorite part of our stay? Miss Julia, hands down! Miss Julia AND the complimentary breakfast! Breakfast choices included: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, English muffins, bagels, cold cereals, oatmeal, donuts, yogurt, fresh fruit, all of the expected condiments, and an equally diverse choice of drinks. Miss Julia greeted all guests as if they were in her personal kitchen. As swimmers competed, she followed their progress. On three mornings she whipped up individual breakfast casseroles, per the recipients ingredient choices, just to brighten their day. Her morning smiles and hugs are missed. The hospitality by all at this Best Western are a main reason that we look forward to future stays.

Stayed here on a recent business trip. Grounds were very clean and well kept. Staff was very friendly. Nice little breakfast in the mornings. Hot tub was very nice and relaxing. Main pool could have stood some mild heating...even though it was indoors, it was a little brisk. Grounds well decorated with animal statues - very nice touch, but watch closely - sometimes the real deer show up amongst them.....would definitely recommend this place.

This was a business trip and the reservation was made for me. I generally trust that the Best Western brand will be more than adquate. When I saw the room - frankly, a mini-suite - I was extremely pleased. It was spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities that I needed and more (kitchenette, couch/sitting area - it may have been a foldout couch). Staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful whenever I had contact with them. The breakfast buffet had lots of choices and a very friendly staff. The room was the quietest I have experienced in a hotel/motel in years!!! This was in spite of the fact that it was directly over the lobby, facing the parking lot. If I were to return to Craig, there is no doubt that this would be my first choice.

Stopped here on a motorcycle trip because of other great reviews. They were right. A great choice if you need a place to stay in Craig. Able to leave my bike parked under the entrance, which was nice. All staff were super friendly.Once again I would stay her again.

This was an unexpectedly nice motel for a little non-resort town. Quite a lot of remodeling was done in 2014 with new hall carpet, some new room furnishings, and a lobby remodel. Each bathroom has a double shower head which really poured out the water which was lovely. The manager says they motel does some upgrade every year so though this property is 20 years old it feels nice and new. The staff was very friendly, the complimentary breakfast was fine. There was a coffee dispenser which had the option of espresso shots so when I added some milk and vanilla creamer, I had a very respectable latte!

This is probably the nicest place in Craig. When we called for a room, they only had the suite available. Although it was pricey, the room was great. It was more like a condo with full kitchen, living area, dining counter and separate bedroom. Really quite a treat. The people seem to go out of their way to be extra nice, the complimentary breakfast was really good and they had a computer terminal for those of us who only have a "dumb" phone. Even if we didn't get the suite, we would stay there the next time.

Nice, clean room. Loved the shower. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The self serve breakfast was decent, scrambled eggs, ham, and hash browns. The also had cereal, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit cups among other foods. Coffee dispenser also served cappuccino and expresso. The only part that wasn't the best was the hot tub atmosphere, an outdoor hot tub would be nice for the adults.

We stayed here for one night since the hotels in Steamboat were very expensive. The hotel is nice with a cozy western feel. The rooms were comfortable and the beds were soft, wifi was adequate. The pool area was nice but the water was too cold. Didn't get to try the breakfast because the area was too crowded, but it wasn't the hotels fault they were just busy, but it did smell good.

One of the best places I've stayed over the years. Friendly, clean, great for pets and the price was very reasonable. Their beds are very comfortable. I plan on going back to spend more time than one night. I love this place!

Motorcycle trip through Colorado on the way to Utah. Hotel Is located on the south west end of Craig On Colorado 13 about a quarter mile off US 40. Very clean and attractive property. Lobby is very "Colorado" staff was pleasant and helpful. My room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Bedding was clean and very comfortable. Everything was in good working order. Shower had a double headed shower which I found to be outstanding after a day in the road (with a brief but violent thunderstorm thrown in for good measure). Free breakfast was included. Food was excellent with lots of items to select from. I would gladly recommend this hotel for a stay in Craig Co!!!!

We got to Craig pooped after a week of backcountry camping in need of some comforts. Wow this property was such a wonderful surprise. We first tried the # 3 ??? rated motel since it was so reasonably priced and figured a basic room would be a real improvement to our currant condition. Wow, I will leave a review for that place too, since I think the deck was stacked, and we had to bail due to a sketchy environment. Also we had our two Labs, one a service dog in training but two dogs, so often hard to find a place. Down the hill was the Best Western and they were of course pricier but worth every penny. This hotel is so well cared for and staffed, that I really think I am hard pressed to think of anything that surpassed it. We have a Marriott timeshare and those stays are our upscale comparisons that are always very nice. We are campers and love roughing it, but when it is time to get a "clean break" we stop at hotels as needed. The staff was wonderful, Julia in the Breakfast room was a perfectionist and provided the buffet in a delightful way. Everything there was clean, organized and delicious. Also she got a doggie biscuit for our puppy in training, so how cool is that? The room was beautiful with excellent beds and a fridge and micro too. The TV was great with great HD, that so many rooms don't seem to have, no HD might as well have old style TV. Yeah I know, rough it type needs TV, yep, love to catch up check the weather channel and zone on a movie, then back to the dirt! Thanks Deer Park BW. We had a lovely stay. We may plan to rough it near there again just so we can come back.

What a nice hotel, easy access off and on, fantastic staff. Good places to eat in town, just really nice people. Was going to stop in Steamboat Springs but that place is too busy, so came on. Nice ride getting to Craig, nice town, it too is clean and friendly. Stay here to rest and enjoy.

The furniture in the rooms seemed to be new and updated with a couch bed, Kingsize bed and table and chairs and refrig. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good as well. Overall a great 3 day stay.

We were quite impressed with the decor, amenities, cleanliness and comfort of our room. The grounds are well kept, have numerous sculptures of animals. The indoor pool was very nice. We were very pleased with the full breakfast.

The room had a 'smoked in' smell which was a real disappointment. Other than that, the staff was good, location was good, cleanliness was good. Decent sleep quality. No real issues save the disappointment of that telltale smell.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights in a row. I have been to some Best Western hotels in the past who have not held up to the brand name. This hotel however does not fit into that category. The staff was super friendly and professional. One of the hotel staff, named Socorro, went above and beyond her job. I made the mistake of not showing up to breakfast on time one morning and she was more than happy to make me and my wife plates of food with some of the leftover breakfast food. The hotel room itself was clean and comfortable. The mattress had a pillow top on it which made it all the more comfortable. The location is right on the outside of town, but not far off from everything including Walmart. We would return here again if ever back in the area.

The beds were very comfortable, linens were spotless and fresh. Bathroom was very nice and boasted a double shower head. It's the first one I've seen and it really made a difference in the shower coverage and power. You will not go wrong with this Colorado property.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, free breakfast, very cheap for the treatment and cleanliness. Compared to bigger more expensive hotels of have to say in our future we will be looking for hotels like this one. Really enjoyed our stay.

This was a last minute choice. We had originally planned to stay in Steamboat Springs, but discovered this gem only 40 minutes away at more than half the price of any major chains in Springboat. We were kindly greeted by Alyssa at the front desk, given a very nice room. She was knowledgeable about the area, and had a sweet and welcoming smile. The hotel must have been remodeled, but it was like brand new. The bed was the best ever, big fluffy towels, and amenities galore with microwave and refrig with plenty of utensils and dinnerware. Upscale soap and shampoos. Breakfast was a treat. Julia greeted each traveler and made sure coffee, teas were hot, all food was plentiful and hot. She kept the breakfast area so clean. We used the laundry facility and the room was clean, dryer had been cleaned of lint, and was offered by Alyssa detergent and change for the machines. All in all, probably the best hotel we have stayed in on our two week road trip. A great value for your money, but also a great hotel.

best breakfast selections of any hotel I've stayed at where breakfast was included in the room price. Comfy beds and the rooms were very clean. Friendly staff. Only negative was only one guest washer/dryer and we had two in the group needing to do laundry. Traveling on motorcycles so convient location right off highway.

This was a very nice hotel. The exterior décor was perfect for the area, with several statues of animals and birds found locally. The staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was a bit small, but comfortable and clean. The double headed shower fixture was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

This was a trip to visit family. The Best Western Plus Deer Park Hotel and Suites appearance upon arrival was absolutely awesome. The grounds were well kept, the whole total features amazing. We had a suite and the amenities in our suite were totally complete. Our stay was wonderful great memories we will certainly be back!

The manager and staff at the Best Western Plus in Craig were all outstanding. Friendly, competent and helpful, the made our stay one of the best we've had this year. The room was clean and ready when we arrived, pool and spa were clean. The coffee/breakfast room was light, open and well supplied. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Craig.

This hotel had the best bed we found in our 6 day trip. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The location was a little hard to find because the sign was not in a prominent place, but once we found it, it is actually in a convenient location. The desk person gave excellent recommendations for dining options.

Recently remodeled, the beds and pillows were very comfy, the bathrooms were great, the lobby was nice and the staff was very helpful. We would definitely return to this hotel the next time we are in the area. We loved seeing the wild horses in Sandwash basin.

While traveling to Dinosaur National Monument, we stopped in Craig, Colorado for the evening. Since this is not a very large town, we were totally surprised by the total quality of the motel. Everyone from the front desk, to the breakfast manager, to the cleaning service were all extremely polite, cheerful, and helpful. The rooms which were spotless have been recently upgraded This motel also accepted pets which was a drawing card for us. The dog run was the nicest we have ever experienced--clean and very grassy. This motel is definitely in gem in Craig, Colorado.

I was so impressed with the breakfast crew there. I walked in about 20 min. late for breakfast and even though they were just cleaning up, food mostly put away and everything shut down, they were very gracious about trying to give me a good, hot breakfast. In fact, the owner happened to be there and even offered to run to the store for fresh eggs! The especially the food service gal, Julia,went out of her way to serve me. She fried the bacon, then made fresh pancakes...they said they were going to make a change in the menu and cook the food from scratch as much as they could AND eggs any way you like them! I definitely recommend the Best Western Deer Park I & Suites (I would stay just for the great breakfast)!

The room amenities and front desk staff were top notch. The best part of our stay was the breakfast area and Julia. They had glass plates, cloth napkins, and real silverware. The scrambled eggs, hash browns, and ham had at least 7 different toppings to make an omelette. They also had standard hotel breakfast items including almond milk.

The Best Western Deer Park Inn and Suites was a great choice for our family. I enjoyed the comfortable bed, the decor that reflects the theme of deer, the amenities, including microwave, refrigerator, hair dryer, and Bath and Body Works toiletries. The staff was welcoming, friendly, and efficient. The breakfast included eggs and sausage as well as cereal, pancakes, juice, toast, etc. Lots of great choices! There are local restaurants as well as national chain restaurants nearby. We needed a few things and stopped at the local WalMart. I am really glad that we stayed at the Best Western Deer Park Inn and Suites and we will definitely stay there again if our travels take us to Craig, Colorado.

Over the years I stayed at the the Clarion (formerly the Holiday Inn), and although the rooms were fine, they seemed to close the pool/hot tub area earlier and earlier, and their restaurant staff seemed less accomidating. So I found the Deer Park Inn online, read the reviews and decided to take a chance on them. The weekend I was there with my daughter and grandson was an emotional one but the staff there were like a breath of fresh air. They were extremely welcoming, helpful and kind. The room was beautiful, the beds very comfortable, I even loved the hair dryer and have been looking for one since. The pool and hot tub area is very clean, and we spent a lot of time there. The continental breakfast varied each day and my grandson LOVED the pancake maker. The restaurant staff were lovely as well. Over all I would highly recommend everyone stay here, as I said the weekend I was there was very emotional, but they and my family made it one of my best memories.

the hotel is always clean, there's a grill so you can cook, the staff is very helpful and friendly, my room here is always clean. but they ought to make real eggs for breakfast, the "egg product" they use isn't the worst Ive ever tried, but its not very good. The pancake machine is pretty cool though

Try this hotel it is in a good location and your stay will be very good. there is lots to do in the area, There are a limited number of dinning places but what there are, are good. The gym and pool areas are very good and your free morning breakfast is good

Everything about this hotel is excellent. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The breakfast is the best I have had at any hotel. The cleaning staff is very accommodating and efficient. The grounds and decor is very charming. I would definitely stay here again.

Even without the AARP discount this stay would have been very well worth the money. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor inside the building and on the grounds is lovely and tasteful. The breakfast was the best of this sort we had seen in our 24 days of travel.

Room was clean,but the sink was too small.We had a handicap suite and it was very clean and spacious.The only problem with the room was no place to put your tooth brush or meds.Staff was very rude. the young lady gave us keys that didn't work,we called her she said she would bring down new keys right away,half hour later my wife had to go to the desk and request the new keys,and the young blonde girl said Oh I was just going to bring them to you.

We spend 90-120 nights a year in motels, and this one rates in the top 10%. Particularly impressed with the morning breakfast quality. Large, clean room with excellent beds, good internet service and exceptionally friendly staff.

I travel often for work and this is the best place to stay. From the great customer service at the front desk, to clean and comfortable rooms this is a great place to stay. Breakfast is very good, and the pool and hot tub are well maintained. Everyone that works there has been very friendly, and helpful making my stays there pleasant and relaxing.

In my last review I failed to mention that the best bed in town is at BW Deer Park. I think I actually sleep better here than at home!! Cindy is awesome, and I look forward to seeing my "girlfriend" every time I visit...Great experience as always!

This is a nice place that is well run..The front desk and the breakfast staff were particularly gracious. The breakfast was fresh and varied with something for all..The hotel was very nice with a rustic western motif. The location is nice and quiet and easy to find.We were on a visit but would recommend it to anyone for work or play.

Everytime I spend here on business trips I leave with a smile. They always make sure I have a great room. The staff is always making me laugh and smile. Only thing is....Cindi why don't I get Oatmeal Cookies!!!! Just kidding.

The hotel was excellent with very comfortable rooms. The breakfast was fantastic. There was a great selection of items. Fresh fruit, yogurt (including Greek), bacon, potatoes, eggs, and a selection of cereals and breads. Real plates, silverware, and linen napkins are available for guest use.

The are one of the best in the business,friendly. Clean and really comfortable beds. I stay here often and have never had a bad experience.they are newly remodeled. They allow pets, and I love the staff.

This is an amazing hotel run by super people. They always go the extra step. The rooms are very clean, cookies at check in, soup in the evening and a full breakfast - I am not talking cereal and stale bread = I am talking eggs, meat, fruit, pancakes, exceptional.

I stayed here one night. The room was comfortable and clean. It had a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The breakfast was very good to include eggs, ham, and potatoes, a rarity for hotel breakfasts. I would consider staying here again if I could get a reasonable room rate.

I have stayed in many hotels in the western slope best one yet love the showers very friendly personal the beds are comfortable and the decor is great love the animal out front and like the deer on the pillow case fits great with overall theme

The staff was courteous, smiling and helpful. They were not annoyed with all the questions I had. They were friendly and not snooty or above us, yet professional in their demeanor. I will stay here again in the future.

This is an incredible place for its beauty, comfort, food and most of all its people. I have actually not stayed in Craig is this hotel is not available and if I am really lucky get to interface with CINDY, whom i feel is the queen of Best Western and I stay at a lot of Best Westerns....try this hotel once and you will be locked in for the future

In my opinion the best place to stay in Craig. A hot breakfast (with several different options/ health conscious) is provided every morning. The facility and rooms are top notch and updated! Good location for the town amenities!

Very friendly staff they all go out of there way to make me / you feel comfortable. I stay there every week and really look forward to the stay. I tend to leave early and they will fix breakfast special for me. They listen to me and will work around some of my food allergies. I would recommend this place to any and every one

Room was great it had one large queen bed, cable TV and Wifi. Parking was good, felt safe leaving the vehicle in the lot. The service was wonderful. Very helpful front desk clerks. They informed us about places to eat and the rewards program. Breakfast in the morning was very good.

The room was nice and clean, with a very comfortable bed. There was an abundance of hot water for two of us to shower in the morning. Breakfast in the morning was great with a variety of cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, sausage, bacon and ham in addition to toast, bagels and pastries. The hot tub and pool were both very warm and we must of picked the right time because we had both to ourselves every evening that we were there. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend The Deep Park Inn & Suites. Thank you for the wonderful service!

This is very pleasant, cozy, comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly. I will always stay there given a choice. I enjoyed the breakfast, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the lobby is nice to sit there and visit and the breakfast is good. The wildlife in the yard is a bonus..just loved it.

We stayed at this hotel on Mar. 6th 2016 and was pleased with our stay. Good location, efficient front desk staff, clean and comfortable room, and a great breakfast. There is always a question on where to enter the building to get to the room, the lady at the front desk told us to drive to the back of the building and watch for the statue of the bear. Sure enough there was a large statue of a bear near the back entrance!

This was a very comfortable motel. We especially liked the hot tub -- went 3 times in the 18 hours we were there! Our room was just a few doors from the hot tub, and was also handy to the breakfast area.

Ok, we all know that traveling in the winter through the Rockies can get tricky. The landslide near Glenwood Springs diverted my husband and I. Luckily we opted to stay at this little jewel of a hotel. An hour before arrival my husband fell seriously ill. We checked in, I looked and found that the hospital was 1/2 mile away, as was the Walmart. Booked the room an extra day. Got great care in the ER. Unfortunate that he got sick, but grateful that everything we needed was so close by. The hotel itself is VERY nice appears new or newly renovated. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, flat screen tv,microwave, big fridge, room darkening shades, super breakfast choices, shower has a double head (buying one as soon as I get home) deer running around outside And they take pets, what more could you want? This is a newer facility, and looks and smells great. The amenities, while fairly standard, were excellent. If you're looking for an economical room, stay here. The staff were friendly and easy to work with. And, if it's the right time of year, you may see deer hanging out on the front lawn.

I was a little nervous picking a hotel in a small town that I was not familiar with. I can be overly particular about cleanliness in hotels. This hotel was clean, the staff were so friendly and helpful. Since I will be traveling here more often for business I will definitely stay here again. I also loved watching the deer right in front of the hotel.

We went to Craig for a hockey tournament and stayed at the Best Western Plus. Best Westerns are generally good-a great place to stay for hockey tournaments because we rarely spend too much time in the motel during tournaments. I was surprised at how nice this one was! Up-to-date and clean. The staff was MOST friendly! The free breakfast was amazing as far as free breakfasts go. Fresh scrambled eggs every morning! I highly recommend the BEST WESTERN PLUS Deer Park Inn & Suites!

We stayed three nights Best Western Plus in Craig, CO. It was a best option for family ski travel; we enjoyed skiing in Steamboat Springs resort where is depart about 40 miles from Craig. Though it needs to around 50 minutes drive to get the ski resort, Best Western provided excellent bed and facilities, especially bed condition and outlook of the lodge are wonderful. Also, the price is very reasonable. I strongly recommend this lodge.

Consistent every time I stay. Staff is awesome. Rooms are updated, beds are comfortable. I like the dual shower heads in the bathrooms. I have stayed in several other area hotels and keep coming back to this one. If you have reason to visit this part of Colorado, or are just passing through and looking for a stopping point, this is the one.

My husband and I and our 2 kids were stranded at Hayden Airport when our flight was cancelled. My husband called and booked a room at the Best Western Deer Park Inn. There was no shuttle service and taxi service would of been a fortune. To our surprise the owners of the hotel Kerri & Frank offered to pick us up from the airport and take us to the hotel and drive us back to the airport the next morning. Wow! We were so thankful and amazed at the thoughtfulness. The hotel was beautifully decorated and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive to our needs. Comfortable beds, lots of pillows!Good hot breakfast buffet. Would recommend this hotel to all our friends and family. Thanks again!

An overnight stay on our way elsewhere. Very well appointed and large room with facilities nd private bathroom was excellent. Plenty of off-street parking. restaurants are nearby although try to avoid the tourist bus rush by picking your dinning time. we looked out of our room and saw a fight between two male deer with a doe trying to make up her mind who she should go with.

Staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Friendly and attentive to customer needs including breakfast after buffet was closed and finding the luggage cart to assist us on departure. Model customer service.

Staff went out of their way when I had to leave earlier than planned, and forgot one of my suitcases. The lady said she would get it on UPS ASAP. I gave her my info and left it in her very capable hands. Thank you so very much for helping out a absent minded traveler!!!

I was in Craig, CO on 12-14-15 for business and due to weather, spent the night at Best Western. The next morning, staff informed me via pictures and weather warnings on the internet (in the lobby) and more importantly, first hand knowledge, that it was not advisable to travel. I really appreciated their concern and care as I was planning to get back on the road. They even offered to reduce my room rate to encourage me not to travel and just stay put. They made sure that I was taken care of during my extended stay. The room was very comfortable and ended up being home away from home. The following morning, staff said the roads were much better and they were okay with me travelling during improved weather conditions. Thanks staff at Best Western!!

We had to leave for our morning hunt before the dining room opened, so they offered, unsolicited, to make us breakfast sandwiches and have them ready for us by 4:30. They were also very accommodating with our check-out time, which is important when dealing with the scheduling uncertainties that are part of hunting. Very nice people who are flexible go out of their way to work with you.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was super clean and had a refrigerator and microwave and the beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. The free WiFi worked better than other hotels we've stayed at. The hot tub and pool area was very nice as well. Hot breakfast was an added bonus & was very good.

Décor was great the recent upgrades are very fitting and done well.The bed was extremely comfortable possibly the best I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. We will undoubtedly be purchasing one of them for ourselves soon.

We have stayed before at this holel for hunting trip. It pleased us so much that they allowed us to bring our dogs this year. We enjoyed it very much. We were there three nights. The service was fantastic. We needed to have our key reprogramed and the desk attendant came to make sure it worked. We will stay again when we come back to the area to hunt.

One night at this hotel is not enough! From the drive up to the walk out you have the feeling of being in a much larger upscale hotel, but the helpful, professional, and friendly staff extend a warm "you"re family" welcome! The cozy fireplace and beautifully decorated lobby draw you in to a very clean and pleasant hotel. The tasteful artwork displayed in the hallway is an unexpected continuation of the well appointed lobby. Our room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. The bed was great and the choice of pillows made for a perfect night's sleep. We loved the adjustable double head shower! Although we did not use the pool and spa area a peek in shows them to be exceptionally clean and inviting. The complimentary breakfast was the best we've ever had! The eggs were freshly cooked with a variety of toppings as well as a nice array of breads, muffins, and hot pancakes. It's all there....even a chilled spoon for the yogurt! Owners, Frank and Kerry do pay attention to detail and it shows in every area of this great and highly recommended property!

We have stayed before at BWP Deer Park Inn and Suites and the front was so crowded with the breakfast area being located there. We just love where they relocated! Also we love, love, love the remodel of the rooms. So comfortable, and great decor! We will certainly be back!! Great Job!

I travel to Craig frequently and almost always stay at the Deer Park. The staff - including the owners, Frank and Kerry - is always warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area. After recent upgrades, the rooms and lobby are even nicer than before, plus they've added a dining area and an elevator. For my most recent visit, I have to give a big shout out to Shalane at the front desk - she was awesome.

We have stayed at this hotel previously and it was fine. This time we stayed 7 nights for a hunting trip. NOW they renovated and it is wonderful. They have improved many things in this hotel. Rooms are brighter and more pleasant. Bedding is extremely comfortable and also very cheerful not that they do not use the old dark bedspreads. Everything seems so much cleaner. The new manager is very helpful and efficient and the staff is pleasant and well trained. Love the new screen in the lobby for information and directions. The lobby is much more inviting and clean looking. Breakfast is very good and the cook is very pleasant. They do a very nice job taking care of all of their amenities. We booked the two room suite this time and it was wonderful. It was not like staying in a hotel room. The prices are very reasonable for what you get.

In late August 2015, my wife, daughter and I drove from Denver to Craig en route to Jackson, Wyoming. We were on the road after dark, and as we approached the outskirts of Craig, a skunk ran out of the pitch black darkness directly into our path, and unfortunately, met our right front wheel head on. In its last act on this earth, the skunk sprayed the underside of our rental car with a full dose of skunk scent. The odor was nauseating, and it quickly engulfed the car, both inside and out, as it infiltrated the air conditioning system, and permeated the interior, including the carpet, upholstery, our clothing, and even our luggage. We immediately lowered the windows, and opened the sunroof, as we drove the remaining 6 or 7 miles to the Deer Park Inn, where we had reservations. We thought the odor was about gone as we arrived and walked into the Deer Park Inn lobby around 9:00 PM. Immediately, the night manager on duty said, “Oh! I smell a skunk!” It was then that we knew we had only become somewhat desensitized to the odor - it was far from gone! The night manager on duty could not have been more helpful. After checking us in, she offered us several spray deodorizers to try spraying on and inside the car. Since it was lightly raining outside, we could not leave the windows open so the car could air out. Despite the limited space, she allowed us to park the car under the hotel's entrance portico and we left the windows open all night. Very early the next morning, I went out to check on the car, and the odor was still there. One of the hotel staff members actually went out to the car, crawled under it, pinpointed where the odor was the strongest, and said she didn't see any remains of the animal itself. She then suggested that we take the car to a self-service car wash for a good pressure-wash bath, and she gave us directions a nearby facility. After feeding a lot of quarters into the coin box, and making numerous pressure-washer passes under the car and all around all the wheels, combined with the deodorizer, the odor was completely gone. I cannot say enough about the kind and thoughtful help that was provided to us by all of the Deer Park Inn staff. Unlike our friends and relatives, who all thought our experience was hilarious, the hotel staff understood the serious nature of our predicament, and they were all very professional throughout our stay there. As far as the hotel itself goes, the lobby was spacious, clean and well appointed. The life-sized bronze buffalo on the front lawn was cool, and we enjoyed taking photos beside it. Our room was sparkling clean, and odor-free, with clean carpet and two very comfortable queen beds, and was reasonably priced. The shower in our room had an unusual double-head which provided a lot more water spray than most hotel showers, and it did a good job removing all traces of skunk odor from our bodies. The air conditioner was outstanding, and was also very quiet. In our room, we had a microwave, a small refrigerator, a coffee pot, and probably other amenities that I didn't notice due to my preoccupation with skunks. If you want a nice clean reasonably priced place to stay in Craig, and want to be treated with kindness by a very professional staff, then the Deer Park Inn is the place to go. If I ever pass through Craig again, I will definitely return to the DPI.

We have had two stays in this Hotel. Both stays have been satisfying. The beds are comfortable and I love that all rooms have microwaves and refrigerators in them. The pool area is great fun. The breakfast was wonderful and made fresh each morning. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They helped us find fun things to do in the area. The hotel has a beautiful landscape which we took advantage of for pictures. Great memories!!

We had been traveling for nearly three weeks and were tired and on our way home. We got in fairly late in the evening, and the lady at the desk was extremely nice. Our room was very clean and the bed and pillows so comfortable. But the best was the great breakfast the next morning. This is the best free breakfast offered at any motel we've ever stayed at. A choice of hot ready made eggs, meat, potatoes, sausage gravy, breads, pancakes, and a choice of toppings for the eggs or potatoes. Also choices of coffees and juices. We were very pleased with this motel and would definitely stay here again!

Exterior of the motel is nicely landscaped and features statues of wildlife, staff is friendly and helpful, room was comfortable and thoughtfully arranged. Motel is convenient to US 40, and far enough away to avoid truck noise, conveniently located between Dinosaur National Monument and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Stayed four days for Memorial service for my Aunt. We were given a discount because of the circumstance of our stay as we are from out of state. The room was very comfortble and clean. Great breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again and highly recommend

Our room was the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were the best! The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Ranks with the best. I don't want to forget the awesome shower heads!

We had a great stay here. The staff let us park our motorcycles under the canopy so we could get a good night's sleep and not worry. They upgraded us to a king suite because of our Best Western Harley Davidson points card. There's an awesome restaurant across the road (at a competitor's hotel); we loved the restaurant and were glad we chose the Best Western. Great place to stay if you're going for hunting season.

I took a long weekend photo expedition because the aspen trees were at their peak of color, and I wanted to photograph the Colorado National Monument. Craig was midway on my route to Grand Junction. I like Best Western so I booked a room. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful and I got a quiet room at the end of the corridor. The room was a good size with a very comfortable king bed and great flat screen TV. The room, especially including the bathroom, was very clean the amenities were good. Breakfast was laid out for easy access and there were enough tables for everyone there. The coffee selections were impressive. I would stay there again and would recommend it.

The pillows were terrific and the king size bed just convinced me that we need one at home. For the price very small room. Was disappointed. Plus we had three rooms so I would have thought that even 15% discount could have been offered with multiple rooms. Even a senior citizen discount would have been appreciated.

Best motel in Craig. It was a bit more expensive, but they have a great place, the service is excellent, and the location is pleasant. Breakfast could have been better, but that's almost always the case, wherever I am. Either way, I'll definitely stay there again if I come through Craig again. Thanks.

While the hotel was clean and acceptable, one would expect that they could anticipate the needs of their guests. Breakfast was slow, even though they knew exactly how many guests were in-house. Also, the lack of flexibility, even when they were well aware of their guest profile, makes me question if I want to stay there again.
