"Great City of Athens Greece HOTEL"
The location of this hotel is prime for walking to all you want to see in Athens. Quiet to sleep, Air conditioning worked well. Bathroom is small , {especially the shower} but clean with some lotion which was appreciated. Pool was great to have to relax and cool off after exploring the city all day. Pool area and Restaurant had the best view !! The morning buffet breakfast was by far the best we had on our 12 day trip staying in 3 different hotels with Wing buddy. { a Canadian Tour Company}
"Great views and service"
We were looking for a reasonably priced roof top restaurant close to our hotel and this is what we found. The views were fantastic our Merlot blend bottle of wine was nice, service top notch and the food was okay. We had chicken souvlaki, sea bass with risotto and shrimp tempura. We arrived shortly pass 7pm before the dinner rush around 8pm and it seemed they had many repeat customers. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and vibe.
"Excellent 3-day stay at Dorian Inn"
Lovely stay at Dorian Inn early Septemebr 2026. We had a front-facing room on the 7th floor with a balcony. The room had tea and coffee-making facilities, bathroom toiletries, a hair dryer, and a safe. We had an issue with the safe on checking in, but the following morning it was all sorted in 5 min. Breakfast was very nice, and so was the rooftop pool! The local area is a bit rundown, but I never felt unsafe! Excellent value for a lovely hotel with stunning rooftop views within a 20-minute walk from the Acropolis and a 2-minute walk from the metro!
"Lovely rooftop - clean hotel in the downtown area of Athens."
We stayed here as part of a Wingbuddy Greece adventure. The hotel is unassuming - located in a downtown -ish area. The rooms are clean and spacious (for EU hotels). The rooftop pool was a pleasant surprise and the rooftop bar offers drinks and snacks and spectacular views of the Acropolis. We were quite impressed with this stop.
"Good hotel in "real" Athens!"
Clean hotel in walking distance to Metro and local cafes. Nice rooftop pool and bar with amazing views! Beds comfy, large bathroom, and breakfast had a great selection of food. (Note not in tourist area)
"Beautiful and perfect"
Really a gem ! Rooms nice newly renovated , great location , large balcony and what a wow from the rooftop !!! Pool is a bonus
"Athens stay"
Stayed for 3 nights here and was not disappointed. We stayed as a family of four so was in 2 separate double rooms, which were next door to each other. Rooms were very bright, modern and clean. Hotel is a 5 minute walk away from the metro station which was ideal, however we did the hop on hop off bus which was ideal as it was very hot to be walking for long distances. It was well worth the money and probably saw a lot more than we would have walking. It stopped at all the relevant points of interest and also had audio which gave you a running commentary of the sights of the city. The pool was an great on the top floor, great view of the city and acropolis. Pool area very small with limited space, but never struggled for a chair or anywhere to lay about for a few hours, it was a great reprieve from the hot weather and was very cold and refreshing. We had breakfast as part of our stay although very basic, however could always manage to find something. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to to anyone wanting a city break with a great hotel.
"One of my favourites because of the roof top pool and view"
Great view from the roof top bar. I also enjoyed the pool there, although a group of American teenagers was overloud and overthere. The hotel can't help that, but it seems a lot of this kind of loud kids finds its way to this hotel pool. Nice room with balcony with view on the fountains of the Omonia square. Good location, only 10 minutes to Psiri platia Iroon. I also love the Indian community close by: great herb smells, strolling people. Friendly and helpful personnel.
"Fantastic Athen's hotel"
The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The location was perfect - close to the Athens Metro Station which made travel from the airport and to other locations such as the Acropolis, a breeze. Being one of the tallest builds in downtown Athens, the rooftop pool/bar/lounge offers spectacular views of the entire city. Couldn't recommend more!
"Lovely hotel"
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and helpful. Room clean. Roof top bar and pool was amazing. Keep to the main road when walking to hotel
"Will visit again"
The entrance isn't great which gives you a bad impression BUT the rooms were really nice - bed, sheets and pillows super cozy. Room was very very clean (spotless) and all of the staff were very nice. Breakfast was great - better than I expected to be honest. You have a number of hot items - eggs, sausages, bacon, beans and also a wide array of breads, cheese and salami. You have pastries, honey, salad and jams and even a breakfast cereal station. Tea and variety of hot drinks and breakfast juices too. Wished only that the sausages were not the processed ones but the quality was still good and again the whole place was very clean. There is a roof top restaurant which I liked also. Location is great and good value for money. Will be returning again to Athens and will book this hotel again.
"Roof Top Pool and Bar is a must see with amazing views over the entire city and beyond."
Was apprehensive about staying in Dorian Inn having read many of the reviews about the area. We arrived quite late due to taxi strike by underground. Hotel is situated a one minute walk from Omonia underground station. There were some unsavory people roaming around but would expect this from any major city and did not feel unsafe as there was local police on most corners. Reception at the Hotel is underwhelming but all staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent, recently renovated, very clean and a good size. Excellent shower in the en-suite. Roof Top Pool and Bar is a must see with amazing views over the entire city and beyond. We were in Athens for a football match and on a budget. There are probably nicer hotels in slightly nicer areas but you would expect to pay more. This hotel is perfect if you are just staying 1-3 nights in Athens.
"Dorian Inn Athens"
We stayed one night at the Dorian Inn. The room was sufficient and the bathroom huge. However, our boxed breakfast the next day included two stale buns, a banana, dry toast, and a bottle of water. We were advised if we wanted coffee there was a coffee shop down the street . Do not walk the side streets or back alley! We were the only two women walking down there and noticed all the graffiti, garbage and locks .
"Convenient & great view but basic."
Rooms were being renovated on my floor so sawdust & drywall. My room was clean and renovated. Fridge was old, two lights didn't work. Superb girls on reception were very helpful. Great breakfast. Good location. Rooftop pool/bar with view of Acropolis were best feature. This hotel caters to tour groups and there were 3 there during my 3 night stay.
"Acropolis apocalypse…"
We turned up to a fairly hostile greeting at reception, after which we were directed to our room upstairs. I'd have had a more comfortable night on the street. Every single spring in the mattress was felt, with pillows so firm I may as well have slept on the floor. The bathroom looked like that of a Cold War bunker, with a toilet that was impossible to flush, plumbing seemingly done by a first week apprentice, the shower head was not suitable for anybody over 5'8, nor did it stay in the bracket holding it onto the wall. Not to mention the liquids coming up through the drain on the bathroom floor. The air conditioning blew only warm air, of which the velocity was that of an asthmatic door mouse. The rooftop bar is, however, a nice yet expensive place to get drunk and forget about where you're staying. Not particularly impressed, we paid €140 for a hostel room worth no more than 10. A refund would be most welcomed.
"Functional!"
Lets say the photographer did a great job! Its not a bad place but not how the photos make it look. The hotel is a bit out dated. Our room looked out onto a scruffy block of disused offices. There was no mirror in the room (only in the bathroom) and no coffee, only tea. The mattress was very spongy and was 2 singles pushed together rather than an actual double. However it was clean and the aircon very effective. Nice selection of mini toiletries and hairdryer. No iron but reception will lend you one. The location is not the nicest area ( lots of graffiti and closed down shops) but its a very short walk to the metro and 3 stops to the Acropolis. The staff were very friendly and helpful and check in was very quick. A taxi from the airport cost 50 euros. Breakfast was nice. A self service buffet with a good selection of pastries, eggs, cheese, beans, bacon, sausages, fruit, bread, cereals and juices. coffee was from a machine and not great. We had a few snacks at the pool bar / restaurant and they were very good. Tasty and big portion size. You can see the Acropolis in the distance. The pool is tiny. You can't swim in it, its more of a plunge pool. Neither can you walk around it. The space around the pool is tiny and narrow so if someone were sat there with their feet in the water, you couldn't pass them. If you plan to visit Athens for a day or 2 its fine, but not for a full on holiday.
"Sleepless night"
Felt unsafe while staying there. The hotel was filthy, hotel staffs not very helpful. The breakfast bags was horrible. Only stayed one sleepless night there. Didn't use restaurant, location was good. The bed was not comfortable, hard and blankets did not feel laundered .
"Both 2⭐️ and 3⭐️"
The Dorian Inn seems to be getting renovated - I was in two different rooms as I was staying on my own one night and with a tour the next I had paid the exact same price for both nights. My first room was extremely dated and not very clean, whereas my second room was beautifully done and very hygienic. My issue with this is that they were set at the same price range, which felt a bit unfair given the noticeable difference in quality. I'm not saying they should drop the price dramatically but I feel they should have a decent price difference! So my first room… the bed was not the most comfortable but I could sleep - there was A LOT of noise (at 12-1am) - doors slamming, people shouting which I do understand is not the hotels fault but the walls were very thin so you could hear everything! There was obviously the city noise (which you can hear) but if you're going to Athens in general you have to expect that! Now, the bathroom. This did not feel very hygienic at all - the toilet was placed very awkwardly in the room for if the door was to open it would knock you straight off the toilet - the shower leaked and when it was used the bathroom floor would be soaked. The floors felt extremely unhygienic so I wore shoes the whole time when I walked around my room. Overall, my first room was just very dated and not the most amazing experience! My second room… beautiful - very hygienic, very clean, the room was very spacious and was a very pleasant experience the bathroom was very clean and when you showered the floor stayed very dry! I hope this layout will be the layout for all the rooms over time as it was generally perfect! - the beds were near to memory foam so very comfortable. So overall this was a pleasant experience - I would just say if you book possibly request a newer room or just hope you are able to get one! The hotel in general is located in a okay area - If you're looking for a hotel with a view the rooms most definitely do not offer that. The staff were overall quite friendly - I didn't feel that I had their full attention when speaking to them which isn't always the best thing! When I had a conversation with them it felt very rushed and unhelpful! But overall, they were okay! The roof top bar was amazing - the view from there was insane and the food and drinks were very nice and reasonably priced! I would definitely recommend going up there if you're staying here. - the pool looked very hygienic and the view from it was very cool, I didn't go in as the weather wasn't too amazing so I can't give a proper review on it but I'm sure it was perfect! Overall I can say my stay here was 50/50!
"Nice hotel, friendly staff"
Clean & Comfortable room, friendly staff, amazing view from roof top bar. Easily walkable distance from city centre (approx 15 minutes to Monastiraki Square) and just down the road from Omonoia Square metro station (direct line to parliament (syntagma) and acropolis. If you walk from City centre to the hotel, walk up the main road (athinas) to omonoia square and down tsaldari. It takes approx 15 minutes. There are quicker routes along narrow lanes.
"Friendly Fun Hotel"
The hotel is really centrally located, just a short walk from Ominia metro station. Very good sized room, clean and tidy, all staff are friendly and helpful. The views from the roof terrace are worth every penny, thanks guys really enjoyed ourselves.
"Good for a night stay"
The Hotel is not in the best part of town and I would take a taxi to it as I cannot see where you would park. Rooms are OK but sleep quality was not so good. Only offer twin beds from what I could see. Bathroom was clean but dated. A small work area is offered. The Roof Top bar offers incredible 360 views of Athens really very impressive. Staff were very helpful
