SureStay by Best Western Williams

The hotel room itself was fine. Sub standard at best. But, the walls had flies and the curtains were torn. The steps leading up to the motor lodge were stained and dirty. There was trash in the parking lot and used cigarette butts everywhere. At night the guests who are staying there long term partied all night long off the balconies and in the driveway. I thought I was in a Third World hotel between the drunk people, the dirty stairs and parking lot and the noise. I mean sex workers came by in different cars all night long and the horns and beeps and music played all night. Where was the staff?? Who allows this. I paid for this room for my Mom and I and our cat. I will never again set foot in this hotel. I would like my money back and I am sure the other guests who come to this establishment would as well. And in the morning at 7 am. no staff. A used towel was wadded up in the slot in the window where you are to drop off your key. Really? I could not believe I was charged to stay here. Why did the staff not stop the noise??? Where was the staff? I was going to call the police. It was bad. Do not stay at this hotel.

Avoid at all costs! This hotel is run down, dirty (our sheets had dried blood stains and dirt as if someone slept with their shoes on), floor boards peeling up, furniture had claw marks, one hand towel, one coffee cup for 2 guests...as a BW rewards member, I wasn't recognized nor was the front desk staffed both in the evening and in the morning!

The room was clean, everything worked. T.V lots of channels and bed was a full size king.. A/C worked. Room cleaned. Full stream of water in the shower. I will definitely stay here again. Lots of parking next to freeway. Check out is at 11am. Close to center of town. Near casino

The pillows are the greatest. I had neck surgery a few years back. And back surgery 3 times , So I know what I'm talking about when I say the mattresses there just awesome. I get my best rest at the Sure Stay in Williams California, because of those mattresses and also it's quiet. Everything 5 stars. It's clean! Staff is very professional and friendly. I like that the Continental breakfast doesn't start until 7 am. It's 7 am to 10 am

Dirty, smelly,cheep. Will not stay here again I guess you get what you pay for. Stay anywhere else called before arrival, ask for extra towels to get ready for a funeral. Upon arrival at 8 pm, we had no towels at all. Room was made up, but the floors were still dirty from previous people. Toilet seat was falling off. I tightened the bolts myself so I wouldn't fall off.

If you can find somewhere else to stay, you better not consider this place. The pool looks like it was never cleaned 🤢 Room flooring needs some repair. Mold in the bathroom needs to be addressed. Breakfast offered could use a good rehab. SureStayAway

great stay will be back perfect location for my needs and did have a swimming pool to enjoy A NICE BREAKFAST ALSO WITH INTERNET access, for the business I needed to get finished. Close to small restaurants to eat at they were walking distance.

The room was dirty, the pool was dirty, the pictures on the website are not even close to what this place really looks like. The phone in the room was broken. The room was not properly stocked with enough towels to accommodate 2 people. The bedsheets were dirty.

This place was perfect for a night stay on our way to San Diego. The price was good and the location was good. We felt safe here and had no issues. The rooms were clean. Would definitely stay here again if needed. There were a couple of insects found in the floor and spider webs in corners of the room but overall for the price and needed rest it was great.

I wouldn't stay any where else in Williams. They have a pool, clean rooms, allows pets. And the young lady at the desk is very pleasant makes me welcomed. The owner is awesome. Cleaning lady's thank you for a clean bed and room. Oh don't for get breakfast waffles are smackin.

The owner/manager was very friendly, kind and helpful when we arrived very late at night. The room was immaculately clean and bed comfortable. Had laminate wood floors and nice vanity area. AC was working well. Breakfast was simple but quite adequate especially considering the low cost of the room. I liked the reasonable cost of the room.

I've stayed here many time and the experience has ALWAYS been great.Parker, who is in charge, is the reason for this without a doubt. He is friendly and professional, sometimes not an easy combination. Having worked as a General Manager for 10 years in the Hospitality industry, this is one of the best I've ever experienced.

The front desk clerk was absolutely amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The room was super clean the bed very comfortable, good location, very quiet Very close to the freeway. The only downside of this place was the heater. We had it on 70 and when it came on it was very noisy, aside from that it was a very nice place to stay.

As others wrote, the room was very clean and satisfactory, but the grounds were really littered with cigarette butts and litter. Breakfast absolutely minimal- basically a piece of toast and small yogurt, coffee was good. Unable to call ahead and make reservation - left message with no return call and/or no answer. Try to get room away from I-5. Need to put some pressure on city to do away with major potholes on street as you arrive!

The staff are the most wonderful people you could encounter with. It's a very nice motel and it's very quiet. Also the bed are comfortable. The rate for the rooms are very reasonable. Of course I am a reward member. So if you stay in hotels alot consider being an reward member

I had car trouble and needed a room for the night so booked at surestay. I was impressed with the room for the price and instead of a stressful night, had a comfortable one. Staff was friendly, and the area was quiet.

I've stayed here many times, the staff has always been very friendly, helpful and the rooms are always clean. When I stay I'm usually hauling an oversized load, they have plenty of room for truck parking which is very hard to find at a Motel.

The room was dirty--top of night stand full of sticky beverage rings something. I was charged a $100 deposit when I got there--the fact that they do this was never disclosed with the booking. And I don't know what the deposit was for--there were no pets, I am over 65 what was I going to do. The room I reserced does not exist which was a king handiap. They only have queen handicap. As there were 2 of us and I have handicap devices we need kind to be comrortable and I needed handicap bars. They could only offer to move us to a king if we had not used anything in the room--and it would not be handica. Or I could have handicap and queen. How about this confirmation rigth here that says KING ACCESSILE! They room was set up for 1 like one set of towels and 1 glass--they knew that there were 2. There is no value in filth and a room that does not meet my needs when they confirmed there was a room to meet my needs.

Great price and great location next to the freeway (I5). We had a room on the side opposite of the freeway so these was no traffic noise. Like the fact that the rooms had no carpeting but had wood floors (just a little worn). Found all of the room satisfactory and the staff accommodating!

This room was a great price and clean room with hot water. Slept comfortably and would definitely stay here again passing through. The parking allows me have direct view access to my motorcycle and was safe.

The price for this hotel was exellent, the room was clean. but the premises are not the best, the office and breakfast are need cleaning and are very unkept. It has swimming pool but, it's very dirty and unkept, I wouldn't even let my animals swim in it!!! If you're looking for just a place to sleep and don't want to spend an "arm and a leg" this is it, just don't expect too much

Pros - courteous staff, easy check in, close to freeway, clean room, working A/C Con's - additional $100 deposit required at check in, freeway side rooms are a bit loud if you are a light sleeper, breakfast no served until 7 am.

Usually we are greeted and offered a bottle of water. Nope Breakfast was not set up even after 7:20am. It's in the same area as the front desk, but no one was there to ask. The room was smelly from cigarettes and marijuana coming through the walls. Maids were hard working.

Not my first visit and certainly won't be my last. In my opinion, absolutely the BEST choice for a stay in Williams, CA. Super friendly saff, especially Parker. Clean rooms. Spotless. Love this place.

The room was clean, I really like that the rooms are. It carpeted I find that to be a lot cleaner. Nice comfortable bed. Really nice place and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, OJ, Apple juice, cereal, bread, oatmeal, coffeee.

I was only there for a few hours, recharging on a road trip. everything was good and clean, staff wasn't super friendly but check in went smooth, did not use the breakfast or internet since it was a quick stay. Would defintiyl stay again since it was smooth and easy. Decent location.

I love that the floors are hard rather than carpeted. Always clean. The bathroom and appliances are always clean. Lots of outlets for charging on the night stands, a solid table for breakfast, reading, crosswords, etc. The beds are comfy but an extra blanket would be nice. Clean fridge and microwave in room. Convenient, just off I 5, with lots of restaurants around, ranging from fast food to relaxing restaurant dining.

I reserved a room on a Thursday with the manager of the SureStay in Williams Ca. He took my information, credit card number and confirmed the room was reserved for the coming Saturday at the rate of $103. When I arrived on Saturday night, the woman at the front desk said she could not find the reservation. I explained who made the reservation and she could see that I did indeed call at that time. She then told me that there is an open room still, but instead of just fixing my reservation, she made me pay the walk in rate of $170. I was shocked at this, but she didn't care and said this was the last room and if I want it, I must pay the walk in rate, despite the fact that I had done everything right, and the hotel manager was at fault for the failure. Issue #1 is that this hotel does not provide a confirmation number, email, or text. You simply take them at their word that the reservation is complete. Issue #2 is that this hotel does not attempt to correct their failures even when they are the ones that caused it. The customer service is non-existent and they don't even have someone available in the office much of the evening. Be cautious if you are going to stay at this hotel. I would recommend staying at the Ramada Inn, Travelers Inn, or Granzellas instead of the SureStay. The SureStay is also located right on the freeway and has no soundproofing so the rooms are very loud all night.

Broken faucet, floors coming up and broken, microwave not working, trash in parking lot and landscaping, unseemly odor in room, nice bathroom, hot water, very noisy from adjacent freeway, many flies. Deposit now refunded in a timely manner. Bed was queen, not king as reserved and paid for.

Motel is very clean with pleasant and helpful staff. Beds are comfortable. Vinyl flooring and upgraded bathroom fixtures. Walls and baseboards are scuffed, could use a paint job. Overall good place to stay on a trip up the Interstate 5 corridor - convenient to highway and restaurants.

Normally we deal with Parker, the manager. We dealt with a new individual the other night and it was pretty bad. Didn't look at the reservation correctly, argued with me over it, among other things. I had my 5 year old son with me on this trip and requested a specific set of rooms as I'm in a truck and trailer. Argued with me about the security deposit (we're here weekly and normally don't have to pay that). Argued with me over the reservation itself (details and requests).

Its a very nice clean place. All the employees are nice and curtesy. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean. I would definitely stay at this motel again……….. Its probably the nicest one in the little town of Williams

Very clean and quite comfortable, convenient and safe, very affordable. Right off the interstate; requested a room away from the highway and heard zero road noise. AC worked well; blackout curtains were excellent at keeping out daylight. No elevator; doors open to outside. I was pleased with the room and the price, and happy with my stay here while on the road. This is a basic Best Western brand motel - nothing fancy - but it definitely fit my needs well. And…..sandwich at Orv's was delicious in Williams - highly recommend going there for food and to browse their cute shop! (It's right by the Shell station - Yelp took me to the wrong location.)

Second time staying here and once again everything was great! Staff actually remembered me from last time which was a while ago. Felt likeI was staying at a friends house for the night. Plenty of parking including truck parking. Nice decor in rooms, spacious and very comfortable bed. Pool is open and a brown bag breakfast to go. Highly recommend this location, they actually care about their guests.

Our rooms were nice. Very friendly staff. Great housekeepers. Rooms need the floors fixed. Nice bedding and linens. The pool is small, but the grandkids loved it. They should not require you to write 200.

I stayed in this hotel on my return trip from Oregon. I really did not know what to expect except that Best Western hotels are generally good places to stay and I could not drive any further so needed to stay in this very small town. The hotel, an old motel that has been refurbished, is very nicely decorated. Only the bathroom has features from an older time (the 90s?), but the rooms were very clean and comfortable, The sheets cotton, the bed great, only the air conditioning was a bit loud. The staff was very kind and the price was fine. I took my cat which was accomodated for a fair price and all was good for us both.

Paper thin walls and noisy neighbors. There seem to be a lot of folks who work together that all stay here and like to party at 4 in the freakin' morning! Coming and going in and out of each other's rooms. Connecting room doors are not insulated and you can hear every little sound. I could even hear coughing and I am hard of hearing!

Excellent overnight stay when in the area. I will use this motel again. Only problem for me is that prepacked breakfast to go is not gluten free. The unit is very clean, quiet, beds are comfortable, and the floors are hardwood, so no carpet to hold allergens or stains.

date of stay: 23 April 2022 I've stayed at several BW properties of the last month and this was the only one to NOT have breakfast. To make matters worse, there was no notice at check-in that breakfast was not offered. Has I known, I would have adjusted my departure time. The property sits right up to the Interstate boundary, so try to get a room that faces away from the highway. There was also a lot of light leakage into the room after the lights were put out. The bed (mattress) was comfy, the pillows were not. New fixtures in the bath, water pressure was fine.

The rooms are very clean, very comfortable beds, and friendly staff. We stay here frequently and have had a positive experience every time. Within walking distance of decent restaurants. Plenty of truck parking.

Pleasant stay, friendly and courteous staff. Nice clean rooms. Will stay again and definitely will recommend. Plenty of parking and a few places to get some food nearby. They give you a brown breakfast bag to go.

Check in went well and the staff was friendly however the Bed sheets were stained and dirty and the TV did not work. Staff was friendly and the rest of the room was clean so the only bad thing was those two items.

We stay here many many times and I am an employee of best western so sometimes it is a hassle to be charged the deposit each and every time. I leave the room clean every time so the hold on the card does get annoying. This time we checked in, the fridge in the room had rotting food which caused a huge stench. This gives us the impression that the houskeepers miss many details, but since we have stayed here so many times before we knew the rooms are always decently clean so it must have been a mistake. Also, I did put a request in for bottom floor near office, and they stuck me right by the highway. It does give the impression that they might not care for certain guests needs. Staff is friendly, rooms are decently clean.

I was so impressed with the competence annd friendliness of the Front Desk clerk that worked the evening of January 1, 2022. He was also well dressed and handome :-). The room was modern and clean. Best value in Williams!

Not sure where in the complex the satisfied guests stayed, but I would have been better going elsewhere. We are loyal BW members and this was a let down. I will say that the bed was comfortable. Yet the heater was OBNOXIOUS!! Loud, rattled and apparently does not warrant any actual attention as other guests complain about the heater also. If I turned it off then we froze. Just sharing the info with management is useless. There's one goal: a customer's comfort and relaxation from the road. Not this place. Freeway noise comes right through the walls. Finally, if you get a breakfast bag at checkout, how do we microwave the hot pocket? No machine in the lobby! We appreciate a roof over our head and are blessed with being able to stay in places on the road, but we pay good money for it too. Sadly, Surestays do not guarantee a sure stay.

had stayed at this BW before, was surprised at lousy cleaning - dead fly pressed into window curtain, and no bath soap, only tiny facial bar. No coffee, nothing at front desk for breakfast, the coffeemaker and single serving in package in room produced undrinkable bilge.

The room heater was extremely LOUD. I called the front desk. I was told there wasn't anything that could be done. I ask for a discount for the inconvenience and was told there wasn't anything wrong with the room. I took a recording of the noise from the heater.... The tub/shower had mold around the tiles and tub. The mop boards were very dirty. When I sat down on the toilet it rocked....

Will recommend best hotel n williams very quiet they dont bother you they got really nice rooms very clean smells good and there restaurants near walking distances ....................................

Front desk young man very accommodating. All though i was sort of bitchy he helped me get a room downstairs and a non smoking room. After i calmed down he impressed me by keeping his cool and helping me out. Thank you! You guys made a great choice by employing that young man in Williams Ca.

I have to admit that my expectations for a smoking room were not anything close to what I got. I've gone into smoking rooms that have a dingy smell and the walls and furniture look dingy and coated with a filmy residue. The room I walked into was very clean and smelled fresh and it was inviting and comfortable. The room actually looked better than some suites I have stayed in in different towns. The rate was very affordable in comparison to the other towns that I have stayed with best western and the cleaner room was even more updated than them as well. Thank you to the front desk for their great hospitality.

Traveling from Oregon to central calif we decided to stop and spend the night and be more relaxed, after calling hotels in various locations along the Interstate 5 corridor, we decided on staying in Williams, CA at the Sure Stay Best Western in Williams. It was a fantastic two Queen Bed room, that was clean and everything looked new. And the rate was average of sixty dollars less then the other places we called. Highly reccommend this place and it will be our new regular place to stay on this route.

The room was clean. Maintenance was reasonable. Service was fine considering COVID restrictions. The Wifi worked. But the property is inadequate. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked the room. Spend a few dollar more and stay anyplace else. It's not worth the price. My single queen room had no closet, no dresser, no desk and not enough space to have an open suitcase except on the bed. A chair but no table. A noisy HVAC unit inches from the bed, will keep you awake all night. Three small tables in the common area is where you will eat and work, as this room was simply too tiny.
