This was an excellent place to stay. Very smart and neat setup fridge microwave lounge chair Laptop table and instant hot water. Perfect. I recommend this place to any who is visiting the foothills or Vineyards.

Stayed one night while traveling. Clean, comfortable room. Internet was acceptable. Only issue was the small, crowded breakfast room. Food choices were fine, but seating was very limited. I would recommend this hotel.

Arrived just before a big rain storm and was quickly checked in. The room was on the top floor at the end of the hall but was only a couple doors down from the elevator. The room was clean and the internet worked fine. A prior guest had stolen the bulb from the desk lamp. The bed was not too firm and I slept well. Heard almost no noise from the interstate even though it was nearby. Will certainly consider staying here again.

This was a great place to stay, the customer service was excellent, she made me feel at home. The room was very clean and I slept really good, that's awesome in itself, Clean comfy bed. Soft towels and plenty of them!

Very welcoming and friendly. VERY NICE HOT BREAKFAST. No problems. Safe parking lot. Nice customers I was finidhed writing but it ...IT says I habe to type 200 characters. I give it A+ still not 200 ... A+++++++++++++++++++++++++++. More? +++++++++++++++++++++++++×+++++++++××+×+××+++++++++++++×++× whew. Finslly.

Our room and bathroom were very clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast area was well attended and decent offerings were available. The staff at check-in and check-out were very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Room was not clean; carpet spotted throughout room. Sink faucet was loose and wobbly. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Exercise room very dirty. Walked in and right back out due to lack of cleanliness. Room was noisy from highway trucks.

Great hotel, friendly staff, nice rooms, breakfast well staffed and clean. Beds comfortable, breakfast immaculate, lobby pleasant , close to the city and shiopping in spartanburg as well as boiling springs

Hotel was clean, check in and out easy. Seemed newly updated. Breakfast was not at the time we were told. We would stay again. Would recommend asking for a room away from the elevator and ice box and you could hear it throughout the night.

I would stay again. The bed was clean and comfortable, the room and hallways were clean. The breakfast was not as described. Waffles with syrup, no butter. Cereal, rolls, yogurt, bananas, juice and coffee. I do not consider this a FULL breakfast. The bathroom fan didn't work.

Bad odor and unkept. Modern decor but quickly falling into disrepair. Carpet in room was wet leaving the room with a odor. Shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for a long time floor and wall was dirty.

Agents are friendly. That is the Only reason they get any circles at all. Company is rigidly unfriendly. Made a reservation a week ahead. Rates changed. $27.00 pretax difference at check-in. Expedia doesn't make it right. The website is false. They DO make money by overcharging rooms . ..and will not make it right. Will never use them again and do not recommend them

Nice Room location right near the elevators. It was not the cleaning girl's fault that she had reported a broken leg on a chair in our room 2 weeks before we got in the room and it wasn't fixed or exchanged. I called the front desk and demanded that it be replaced and I placed it outside of our room door. When we came back to our room that evening, it was still sitting outside of our room, however, it had been nailed and glued but the leg was still crooked, but sturdy. My husband has bad knees, and uses a cane and if he would have sat on that chair when we got into the room, he would have fallen to the floor..it was just hanging by a thread. You better start listening to your cleaning people when they tell you things are broken. You cold have a lawsuit on your hands if someone gets hurt...as I am sure you well know. Also, we did not have a full set of towels in the bathroom and the one bath towel we did have was hanging on the back of the door wet! I immediately went out to the cleaning people in the hall and they gave me a full set of clean towels and were very apologetic. Also, the coffee pot had mold on it so I am defiantly thinking our room had not been used by guests in some time. Don't know who had the wet towel in the bathroom!

We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. The room was clean, except for a few random pieces of cereal on the floor. The lobby was clean. The breakfast was mediocre. The pool was nice, but very small with limited seating (3 lounge chairs).

Staff was nice and helpful however I had a few issues with my stay. I noticed lots of hairs on the rug of my room. The internet was horrendously slow and the computer desk in an annoying spot right next to the A/C unit so you're freezing cold when trying to work unless you move the whole thing. Covid breakfast extremely lackluster, just ate elsewhere. Late checkout policy way too strict. Apparently max they can allow is 1 hr?! For a high level rewards member... on a Sunday... when you're already kicking ppl out an hour early that a lot of other hotels. Unacceptable. Due to this policy I was forced to miss the awards ceremony for the race I had been training all year for that was my sole purpose in using the hotel for anyway.

They gave me a room that had blood on the sheets then refused to put me in another room. So I was stuck with this gross room because my booking was non-refundable. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Upon arrival, there was no parking as four semi trucks took up half the parking. They weren't guests as all trucks were still running. Upon check in at 11pm, somebody was waiting for someone at the desk. Took about 10 mins to check in even at that hour. When I got into my room, the carpet had stains everywhere, smelled weird, dirt stains in shower, and lint all over bed. Breakfast is to go which is understandable but there is limited beverages with no lids to safely take with you.

They were actually guests here at our property. It's not uncommon for these trucks to run all night depending on what is being transported. Again we apologize and hope to see you back.

Will not stay here again. Had to ask for another room. The first room had a sticky floor, dirty toilet, old ketchup on the desk, dirty phone and heating unit. The second room was cleaner, But still was a lot of dust on the heating unit. The beds were clean. Did not feel comfortable with the cleanliness of the room. The front desk service was good and respectful.

We originally stayed at the Hampton Inn on I-26, and checked out because the hotel wasn't as clean as we would have wanted it to be and the service was terrible. We checked in to the Best Western in Spartanburg and were pleasantly surprised. The lobby, elevators, and our room were all clean. The staff was pleasant and very helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Stayed at this Hotel on way to vacation destination. Staff was Friendly and helpful during check-in giving directions to local eateries and about amenities. Promptly addressed a small issue with room(clogged commode) Had a pre-paid reservation for return trip at another Hotel but was so happy with this location forfeited the pre-paid room.(wife is handicapped and amenities exceptional).

The jacuzzi tub was amazing and so was my service! Will go again just for the tub. Breakfast was great even though it wasn't full service. Recommended 10/10 for honeymoons or even business trips......

The hallways floors were dirty. I felt like the rooms were too dark and murky. Like they were hiding something. I did not like it there at all. The only nice part was leaving with a bag lunch breakfast.

We can in to Spartanburg for a Dr. visit. The parking lot and lobby were clean. Check in was easy. The elevator had an oder and the hall we stayed on as well. Our room didn't seem to have the oder. The room was a standard hotel room. The decor was nice. On inspection of the beds one of the beds sheets were dirty/stained. I took them to the front desk and they immediately changed them out for a new set.

I stopped overnight on my way to Charleston. The staff was nice during check in, but also mentioned there is no maid service due to Covid, so keep that in mind on longer stays. The room was pretty quite and clean. My only complaint was my room was facing the street at lamp level and the street light was bright and I didn't have curtains to limit the light.

All of the windows in each room have blackout shade with a pull down cord. Again we apologize for your less than perfect stay.

We have stayed at this location several times, even when it was just built. This time we received a room where the window was blocked by a roof, second time we've been in this room. The room had a moldy smell, spider webs on the window. The chair next to the bed had never been cleaned or vacuumed under it. The reason we found that was because the tv remote was missing and we were seeing if it was somewhere else in the room. Tv remote was missing. The soap tray in the bathroom was not cleaned, had soap residue left in it. Under the sink was trash. In my early years of college I work as s maid at a local hotel and this room definitely would not have passed inspection. Also the cover on the bed was badly stained and had a smell. Realizing it's COVID time, the breakfast had a major line and we always grab the Togo bag, one out of three days that we were staying we received one Togo bag. Other hotels during this time always had bags prepared regardless how busy they were. Guess we will be looking for another hotel in this location. Very disappointed.

Clean and convenient, it's not easy traveling during Covid. We needed an overnight and the best Western was reasonably priced and conveniently located on our route into North Carolina. The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, and they provided brown bag breakfast with snacks to go in the morning

place was very clean and staff very friendly. Stayed there twice in 2 yrs. I would recomend staying there. close to restaurants and where we needed to be. Last trip we got to use the pool. This last trip was in Nov so couldn't swim then,.

We had a pleasant stay. Breakfast was not what we are used to due to Covid, but we managed. Although the hotel itself and its property is really very nice, the area surrounding it was very littered (not the fault of Best Western). If we had the opportunity to visit Spartenburg again, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here.

Used this hotel coming and going on a trip to Texas. Great location, clean and modern with reasonable price. With COVID restrictions there is no hot food, but they give you a bag with snacks and coffee to go for breakfast.

Nice room clean and spacious. Check in was quick. No hot breakfast because of covid but had some cold options and to go bags. The only complaint I have is the walls are to thin we could hear someone else's tv.

Staff very good and the room was clean. We had one issue, we were in a room across from elevator and next to utility room. A noisy stay. Otherwise a nice property. Relatively, breakfast better that most. Allowed to pock grab and go as opposed to being prepackaged.

We had reserved a nonsmoking room, as we entered the smell of smoke was overpowering and disturbing as I have asthma and can't breathe in smoke. We informed the front desk and they informed us that there was nothing they could do. Could not enjoy our stay because I could not breathe and had to step outside multiple times. Disturbed that nothing was done to fix this issue. Also worrisome due to COVID 19 and concerns with cleanliness since our room reeked of smoke. Will NOT stay again.

We were in the process of moving and needed a place to stay for a couple of days. The room was nice and clean, a little small but comfortable. The room was quiet since we overlooked the parking lot and not the interstate as the other side if the hotel does. I did hear a room who had their tv on until 2am and then start back up at 5am that prevented me in getting a good nights sleep the first night but the second night that person had left so did the tv noise. Overall a nice uneventful visit.

I was stuck in the hotel elevator about 45 mins NONE of the emergency buttons or notifications worked properly. Nor was the Front Desk trained to handle a situation such as this. I called the hotel from my cell phone and the employee that answered stated "Well I will see if I can get someone to help you" I told her to find the elevator key or call the fire department. She hung up and I call back about 10mins later and she said she was on the phone with some one at that time. I asked again for her to call the fire dept. after several minutes, I called 911 myself a few moments after calling someone who appeared to have been a Maintenance worker was able to let me out. Came the next morning asked if the GM was in, she stated yes, is there something I can help you with (I asked for the GM) I told her I wanted to speak with them, she then told me he was not available. I came back in later that afternoon and the GM happened to be standing at the desk, I expressed my concerns with him he then went to tell me that it was fixed and they worked on it for over 6 hours. (Which tells me that there was absolutely a problem with the elevator. The only thing he said to me was Im sorry. The most concerning part was that had I not had my cell phone with me no one would have really know I was stuck for possibly a long time because non of the emergancy functions nor the emergancy phone worked. All we got was an Im sorry. Another issue was the housekeeping service the last part of the stay was horrible. The housekeeper was in the hallway and I let her know we had stepped out of the room and would she clean it her response while she was talking on her cell phone was " oh, okay well im going to smoke a cigarette" We I came back to the room the ONLY thing she did was take the trash in the bathroom and picked up the dirty towel off the floor. She did not clean the sink, tub, vacuum, NOTHING else except pull the blanket up on the bed and did not even place the pillows back in place on the beds. The Room Attendant who cleaned the room the first few day was much better and did a great job. I was here for 6 days and the sheets were not changed even on day, I know that sheets are not changed daily, but usually once in a 5 or 6 night stay, I was very disappointed with this hotel. We were there attending a conference and this hotel was suggested to us. I will be notifying our contact as this property does not need to be recommend for future. I also contacted the management company.

Not Best Western Plus. Weak and impersonal front desk service. Without proper training. Small room. My room was all dusty,very dusty,with a carpet of dirty snacks. Bathroom not very clean either. Blood-stained blanquets, and the extra I asked , also came dirty Do not stay in a room near the Highway very noisy , do not stay in a room with an adjoining door, you hear the neighbor go to the bathroom. Business center, the printer not work. Breakfast is the basics of the basics, don't expect breakfast Best Western Plus. If you are a Diamond Member don't expect recognition. This is not my first hotel review, worth looking for another option.

Great customer service, breakfast was just ok, some of the rooms need to be updated...and the hotel rooms are attractive and comfortable....some of them...free wifi is a huge plus... It's in a good location.

Best Western Plus in Spartanburg was a great overnight stop o our way from NJ to FL. It was right of the highway with easy on and off. The hotel is recently renovated and very clean. The breakfast was considerably better than most. Front desk staff welcoming and efficient. I would recommend this as a stopover. Well done Best Wstern

After a long drive it felt good pulling into here. Access from the Interstate was quick, but our GPS had problems locating it- so you may to research ahead. Our room was clean, spacious, and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was your typical hotel eggs, sausage, bagels, and instant oatmeal.

Like this hotel because it's close to nursing home I frequent. Usually pretty impressed with the rooms. Kinda disappointed with the cleanliness this time; normally bathrooms are cleaner. Gal at front desk is always pleasant.

The hotel is a modern newer hotel. It is clean. The breakfast is not kept up with by staff. Fruit is brown. Meat is scarce. Eggs are powdered. Coffee is pretty bad at this location. There in no after hours coffee like I have had at other Best Westerns. There is no tub if that is an issue for you but the stand up shower looks very nice but not practical. They need shelves in the shower and a place to hang your washrag. My husband loved it. I didn't. There is some traffic noise. My biggest complaint is the room not being cool enough. They say they don't have motion sensors but it sure warmed up at night and when we left the room for a long period of time. The bed was comfortable. The tv is large enough. The furnishings are cute. Very comfortable.

This hotel is really great for the price. The decor is nice. The king size bed was comfortable. The front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was fine. There is coffee/tea in the eating area all the time. Definitely would come back if we needed to stay in the area.

The sheets were covered with hair. The breakfast area was already dirty as soon as it opened and very cramped. The front desk staff were super nice though, as that's the only plus for the Best Western Plus. Had it not been for the fact that we checked in extremely late, we would have stayed elsewhere. I think in general the area is pretty safe around this place, but they need to do better with cleanliness. :(

My wife and I stayed here for two nights while visiting family. The room was clean but there was a strong odor (cleaning solution?). The hotel is right next to I-85 but, surprisingly, the road noise was not intrusive. The breakfast bar was OK, but heavy on carbs and sugar with limited healthy choices. The bed was comfortable, but we found the pillows uncomfortable.

There was only one pleasant staff member. The first room we were given didnt have a toilet seat screwed on. The second room had some kind of object on the floor behind the toilet (drugs???)so obviously not cleaned well. It also didnt have 2 functioning outlets by the sink. It seems newly remodeled so looks pretty nice. The staff needs to put forth some effort to keep it nice. The breakfast was adequate.

Now I know what the "Plus" is all about! Stayed at this Best Western Plus on the way to Florida recently,and now I know what the "plus" is all about! Starting with check in, both Tiffany,and Bethany were refreshing to talk to after eight hours on the road.They were both very professional,courteous,and informative. Elevators take you to your floor,and they're relativley quiet The ice machine is almost in the center of the floor,and my room was almost right across the hall from it,but I didn't hear anything. The room was very quiet,except when the small refrigerator started up,and that only lasted a few minutes. The TV remote was super easy to use,and after eight hours on the road,that's appreciated. The room was tastefully decorated,and very well coordinated with subtle colors and patterns.The work desk had a fully adjustable "LED" light bar to swing over your reading material,or in my case,my laptop. ...The Wi-Fi was simple,and internet speeds were lighting fast. I had a king size bed,and a roomy walk in shower that featured a brisk level of pressure,and plenty of hot water. ...A really pleasant surprise was the lemon scented soap! The bed had an exceptionally plush pillow top over the mattress,and way too many pillows!:) The parking lot is well illuminated at night,for added security,and there are baggage carts just off to the side of the entrance for transporting your personal belongings to your room. The next morning,breakfast was ready shortly after 6:00 AM, although they say it doesn't start until 6:30.The breakfast was excellent, with many juices,and coffee,fresh fruit,scrambled eggs,with sausage,and potatoes. ...One suggestion here is to bring back the bacon! I left shortly after sunrise,but I'll be back on the return trip from Florida in the spring,and look forward to staying at this hotel again,and seeing both Tiffany and Bethany. After all,great people,and a great facility, are what make it a "plus."

Room was very clean. The staff was very helpful. We had a pleasant stay. We were in town for a wedding and most of our family stayed at the Best Western. It was very convenient to the the wedding venue.

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Spartanburg. The room arrangement worked well for multiple people in the room as the sink and loo/walk-in shower were behind a wall so they were separate from the sleeping area. We also enjoyed a walk-in shower and the fact that the loo & shower were in a separate room from the sink. We had plenty of pillows, comfortable beds and soft, absorbent towels that didn't smell burnt from overheating in the dryer.

The breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and cozy. My only complaint is the walls are paper thin and it made sleeping difficult due to the noise levels. People were up at midnight to 2 am laughing and playing in the lobby area near the elevators and I could hear everything.

I became sick the first after checking in the night before. To sick to travel the next day. They wers so nice and concerned offered us directions to the nearest hospital. Decided to wing it. They left us stay another night in the same room so I din't have to move. Very quiet area so I was able to see during the day. Think I hadgotten food posiong from a restruant the night before. Price was good veru clean and loved the shower. Will stay here again if ever in the area. Thanks everyone for your concern.

The room was clean with modern furnishings and decor. It was facing the nearby Interstate but fairly well-insulated from traffic noise. Two negatives were: 1. The room was right next to an elevator. However, since it was right next to the bathroom, most of the sound was muffled by shutting the bathroom door. The biggest minus was the extreme smallness of the room. There was a very small space between both sides of the king bed and the walls, making access to the bed very narrow.The TV faced the door to the room, meaning that one would have to pull a chair towards the door in order to view it. No way to view TV from the bed. This room is better suited to a smaller bed with one occupant.

Excellent sevrice and accomodations. Staff was very friendly and easy to talk to. Breakfast was a wide variety of choices and very easy to serve yourself. The rooms were well appointed. Beds were great and comfortable

Just what a regular guy and gal would expect from any of the major chains, plus a very friendly staff. Really appreciated the new light fixtures that included USB ports, PLUS easily-accessible outlets for those of us who use CPAPs and Oxygen generators at night.

Nice clean room, modern decor. Friendly, helpful staff. One of the best stays on our vacation. I would stay here again and would recommend this facility. We used the guest laundry, which was very convenient.

Stay off 6th floor, and if Catherine is working - good luck!!!! The rest of the staff is amazing.. Catherine has the tendency to be useless. Her customer service skills lack, and she has never heard the phrase above and beyond. I travel weekly for business, and it's a great spot for the price. Rooms r decently clean, have found a big or two and some questionable objects down by side of sinks. Even trash in containers of freshly checked into room. I can live with all that for price, and comfort of beds and Tiffany! But if I walk in weekly, and see Catherine my eyes roll, and I wish I booked the holiday inn express.

Had to come back to Spartanburg (after many years) to finalize my late mother's estate, and made a reservation with the expectation that we would grin and bear it (based on a former experience with this hotel many years ago). WOW....what a nice surprise! New owners, new brand, new everything! This hotel is fantastic! The staff genuinely cares for their guests and the manager (Derrick) is nothing short of awesome! I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here every time our travels bring us back to Spartanburg!!!

This is a hidden gem along I-85 in Spartanburg, SC! We recently sold our house and needed a place to stay for a few days until our new one was ready. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet and peaceful our room was at night (being close to a highway you never know-but not a problem at this hotel at all). Extremely clean and I would definitely recommend staying here!

We loved this hotel! The staff were all so friendly and accommodating! The manager, Derrick, went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant! I brought my 4 kids with me and they loved the daily breakfasts as well as splashing in the pool after! The renovations are top notch, and we will definitely be booking this hotel again!!!

This is definitely just a low budget no frills hotel. I've stayed at a Best Western Plus before when I was in Canada, and this BW Plus in Spartanburg left a lot to be desired. The rooms are loud and dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned well, and the breakfast was not that good. Thank goodness that I only had to stay for one night so I could get some work done. I booked this hotel and the last minute, and it was one of a few hotels in the area that still had any availability at a reasonable rate on such short notice. I now know why. I definitely won't be staying here again.

I have stayed here twice. Both times have been very pleasant. My room was small, but functional, and it was nicely decorated. It was very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The wireless Internet connection worked flawlessly. This hotel has a really nice swimming pool, a guest laundry, a mini store near the front desk, and it offers complimentary breakfast. It is located near I-85. There is a restaurant next door, and there are numerous restaurants and stores on the other side of the highway. I will probably stay here again.

As we entered the hotel, the trash receptacle was overflowing. I reported it to the clerk. Didn't seem to care. The big trash containers were located to the right of the entrance. Overflowing. Not very inviting, No curb appeal. The refrigerator and air conditioner made noise continuously. Asked for another room, they put us near the ice machine and public laundry. We had to move out for almost the entire day and then return for another room. Unacceptable. No freezer in case you need one. Staff doesn't show much concern to please customers. Lights in parking lot don't come on until after dark. Mirror in room was not clean. Don't comply with your request upon booking reservation. Skimpy with towels. Breakfast room very small. Not enough room when many folks are staying there. Toilet paper and kleenex are like sand paper. Bed and pillows were ok. Night light on side of bed above night stand helpful. Cookies served in the evening. No program guide on TV. Would not stay again. In the past, this hotel was good. Has gone down hill.

The housekeeping staff needs to check corners and under the duvet cover around the bed. The carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced and the grout in the bathroom floor tile is black instead of the grey it started out. Breakfast was not very good, the eggs were cold and the cottage potatoes were so hard you couldn't chew them.

This is a wonderful hotel experience! The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The whole property is well tended, clean and modern. There are thoughtful touches like a sun-blockout shade for the room window, fridge AND microwave, as well things you would expects like coffee maker, hair dryer, toiletries, and beautiful flowering trees surrounding the easy-access parking lot. There is a small, but nice outdoor pool. The fitness center has elliptical machine, stationary bike, two treadmills, full free weight set, yoga mat, fresh towels, two tv's, remote and more. Each time I visited, it seems that each free weight had been cleaned to sparkling on the grips. (I'm not kidding!) My only complaint there was that each tv set seemed to access only one channel. The remote could turn on, off and work the volume, but not the channels. The free breakfast offered great variety. The dining room is small, (but seats many) and nearly half of it is the food display! The selection varies from sweet tooth (waffles, muffins) to grits, eggs, meat and potatoes, to healthy selections like hardboiled eggs, yogurt, and (my favorite) make-your-own granola mix. The coffee is good, and they offer a variety of creamers as well as 2% and skim milks. The eating area is kept clean and well-stocked. In the sleeping room, I slept comfortably. There was good water pressure in the shower. (If you need handles or a stool in the shower, I would ask in advance, as there were none in my room.) If you don't typically wear earplugs to bed, I would request a room that is not near the ice machine. I was very near it, and it woke me up at 6 am. I wear ear plugs, and it wasn't a problem during the night. I hope I have more reasons to travel to Spartanburg, so I can stay here again!

There's so much I like about this Best Western. The rooms are modern and nice looking. The breakfast is really good! The beds were oh so comfortable! This is what I don't like as much: - The check in was kind of.. blah. I didn't feel welcome as a guest, but ok. Not the end of the world. - The room was not as clean as it should have been. Especially when the room it self is so nice, it makes you expect more! It also smelled a bit of sweat. Overall, it was still good value for our money (paid about 80 dollars).

Stayed one night while in town for Panthers training camp. Hotel looks to be recently remodeled. My room had a king bed with tons of pillows and comfy sheets, a large walk in shower with plenty of water pressure. There was a new 50” tv with HD channels including TCM!! Charging ports for phones, etc everywhere you look. Breakfast was above average with sausages, eggs and potatoes, plus the expected waffles and cereal. Coffee was way better than I get at most hotels. Highly recommended if you're in the area. And be sure to try the brewpub next door!

Just passing through Spartanburg and found this hotel to stop for the night. It seems new. We got a good night's sleep and an average hotel breakfast in the morning. There is a highway right outside half of the hotel's rooms. We turned on the fan/ac and did not notice it. One thing is that our room's window was directly over the pool area (yes, near the highway) and the light from the pool area shone around the edges of our window coverings. My teenager stuffed a pillow in the open part and fixed the problem. Our stay was fine. I gave them 5 stars because if we sleep well and eat well, that's success. The reason we picked this place was the price. It was great! If we find ourselves in Spartanburg again, we would probably stay here.

We made our reservations for 2 rooms the day of our stay. We arrived much later than plan. Our room with clean, however there was a problem with one of the bathrooms. I called the front desk and the problem was taken care of first thing the next morning. I gave 4 stars because there wasn't and parking at the hotel and we had to park in the near by Denny's parking lot.

Very good accommodations. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, was pleased with our room. Four pillows on a bed and all of them soft. 1 is too soft and 2 has your neck too high. Problem with most hotels. Would solve problem if they provided at least 1 firm pillow per bed.

We stopped here on our way to Myrtle Beach, and the room was great. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was super friendly. The room was also a great value, and we had a quiet night of rest before getting back on the road. We will definitely stop here again!

While driving to Hilton Head from Lexington, this was a perfect place to stop. The beds were -GREAT-... not too soft, nor too hard. They were really really good. The hotel has been recently updated, and you can tell. Lots of new furnishing, lots of new paint. We had a wonderful stay.

We found this hotel as we were passing through Asheville, NC but using TripAdvisor. First off, from I-40, it was not the easiest hotel to find. When we got off our exit, we had to drive about a mile but the exit we needed was closed due to road work. We had to do a very convoluted trip that involved what felt like turnarounds and loops but we didn't give up and finally found the hotel. I had called about 30 minutes before we arrived and was told there were plenty of rooms (we needed 2). When we arrived, there were only 4 left according to the front desk clerk. I suppose it was a good thing we arrived when we did. The hotel was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The parking lot was very well lit. We didn't take time to explore the area the next day in the light of day but it seemed like an unusual place to have a nicer hotel. There must be more around it that we didn't see. I didn't go down to breakfast the next morning but my husband was pleasantly surprised with what was available and he said it was a very good free hot breakfast. It was a quiet stay too. The room across from my parent's was a little loud when we first checked in about 10:30pm but they must have quieted because my parents didn't complain the next day. I would recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay! The mattress was very comfortable, the bathroom decor was very luxurious and the breakfast was tasty and offered a great variety of options including hot waffles, eggs, potatoes, sausage links, fresh fruits, oatmeal, a variety of breads and bagels, juices and hot coffee!

The heat and ac system was terrible. The place looked great but the bulk of the time I was there I did not get my wake up calls, the breakfast person didn't keep things stocked as she should have. Whoever handles their maintenance should be fired because I constantly had the heater in my room turn to air conditioning to where I had to move to not bei near the unit or had to shut it off.

We stopped through here to rest our heads as we were driving to Atlanta! From the moment you pull into the parking lot you already feel a peaceful atmosphere! very clean and nice. Fairly new place. Quiet. Breakfast is full hot, yet they don't like to refill what they are out of. Rooms clean, staff nice. road work going on which made it a bit harder to get to. My reservation was a bit messed up but was taken care of upon arrival.

Comfortable room, looks newly renovated, friendly and efficient staff. Good value for comfortable lodging. I would definitely stay again. The walk in shower had great water pressure. The breakfast included scrambled eggs and even had salsa and cheese for toppings. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was glad you could set the fan on continuous.

We were in room 207 which is next to the mechanical room of the elevators - extremely noisy. It was a Friday night and in addition to the elevator noise there was a wedding party and a large group of young men (maybe 12-15 yrs old) there having a swim meet early Saturday morning. I would recommend the hotel providing you did not get the elevator room.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It has been newly renovated and the staff is amazing! Breakfast was great and the rates were very reasonable. everyone was so accommodating and nice. I will definitely stay there again it was perfect for my son and I.

A fairly new building, so was supprised that it was not more soundproof. Our room was right over the breakfast room so about 6:30 am guests started dragging chairs over the tile floors. No more sleep for us! Other guests were heard complaining, while in the breakfst room, that they had been awakened by the ice machine and elevator. I've been in hotels that are vertually soundproof, so I know it's possible. The bed was comfortable enough. The internet worked well. It sits just off an I-85 exit, so is convienient. Hot breakfast was as expected for budget hotels, but one day was efficiently kept well stocked while the next day was less than half stocked only half way throught the breakfast time. It would be a good clean place for one or two nights, but the cramped rooms won't feel comfortable for longer than that.

The person working the front desk at night and on the weekend was high everytime we had a question. He had his friends there and was often outside smoking. The safety of those staying at the hotel were in his hands and this is something that would make me not want to stay their again. The room and breakfast were excellent.

In spite of the fact that this hotel is off the major highway a bit, it was well worth the few miles to stay there. It is newly renovated, high end finishes, super staff! Favorite thing was the soap dish provided for the little bar of hand soap that otherwise gets mushy and slides all over the vanity top.

Fair rate for excellent rooms, very modern, comfortable comfortable beds and huge HDTV. Breakfast buffet was satisfying. Parking was convenient. Would definitely stay there again. a little bit off the track from Interstate 26 but easy enough to find

Other than having a little trouble getting to the hotel because of road construction, our stay was wonderful. The newly renovated property appears to be in a relatively remote area, but we found out that we were within a few hundred yards of a shopping area. The room was great, with new towels. Breakfast included eggs and sausage in addition to the usual carbs one expects with these hotels. It is right next to the interstate, and there was a noticeable level of traffic noise. There must be a downhill grade, because the noise from truck engine brakes was noticeable. The price was very reasonable, especially for a Best Western, which I find to often be at the higher end of comparable hotels.

I have had very bad experiences with West Westerns in the past, however this one was right up there with the HIlton and Marriott brands. It truly made a customer out of me. As a travel agent I now feel comfortable placing clients in the Best Western PLUS locations. However, I am Still staying away from the regular Best Westerns hotels for now.

This stay was terrific. The rooms were clean, modern and comfortable, the location - while a bit off the beaten path - was close enough to drive everywhere - located near the freeway. The breakfast was plentiful, well stocked and clean as well! But the best part was the staff. When we arrived, there was an issue with our reservation, during a time when they were sold out. General Manager, Derrick Norris, leaped into action and was our hero - I had a large group - and he was able to make it work! He and Marcus really went out of their way to accommodate we weary travelers. Then later in the week, Jennifer helped us with the use of extra facilities (the board room) when we needed a larger space to work. Each day they asked us how things were going and we really felt like guests at their home. Thank you Marcus, Jennifer, Derrick and all the staff for a terrific stay.

From the time we arrived we felt welcome. No one disturbed us and everyone was nice and welcomed us in like they already knew who we were. That morning the staff greeted us and asked us how was our night. I really enjoyed my stay.

I usually stay at a Marriott or Hilton branded hotel for work, so this is my first time staying at a Best Western in the US. I thought the hotel was pretty on par with a Hampton Inn, bed was comfortable and everything was brand new. It's a really good value for the money.

Two-night stay. Hotel was convenient off I-85 in a safe area. Rooms were nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Will stay again when in the area. Rooms are small, but for the amount of time we spend in the room, it's fine. Only negative is the crummy LCD lighting and food ran out at breakfast.

This is a newly renovated property and very clean. Customer Service was great and the room on the third floor was wonderful. It is located near the interstate, however, never heard any traffic noise. The hotel breakfast was good and this serving area was very clean. Highly recommend this property.

Everything. Brand new facility that goes out of its way to do everything right. Attention to detail in all aspects of the hotel facilities, staff and service. You will be comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommended.

We had a quiet room on the second floor. Two elevators for the six floor building but we did not have to wait for one. Two luggage dollies at the front desk. Two queen beds in our room. Room seemed to be recently redone. Slight odor that we could not place. Lots of parking and well-lit parking lot. Average breakfast. Sink was outside the bathroom which can be handy. Iron and ironing board, hangers in the closet. Air conditioning unit has digital controls mounted on the wall. Work desk. A lot packed into a cozy room. Great internet. Did not turn on the TV.

I've had very good luck with Best Western Plus properties over the past few years. This one wasn't quite as good as the others I've experienced. On the plus side, I liked the bed, the solid wi-fi, and the fact that the laundry happened to be on my floor (6th). Nice big HD TV with plenty of channels. Location worked out for me, too. However, it was kind of off-putting to see several pieces of hair on the shower floor and in the sink. (I don't feel it's possible to pick up every single piece of hair that a previous guest might shed, but these examples were pretty egregious.) The AC unit made a series of noises at the end of every cooling cycle that sounded like a grinding motor. But, if you turn off the AC, then your ears are pounded with the noise of big rigs rumbling down the interstate all day and all night (assuming you've got a room on the interstate side, like I did). The breakfast was meh, definitely not up to what I've had on recent BW stays. The price was definitely right, but I would not stay here again when visiting Spartanburg.

Stayed here on a last minute decision while visiting a friend in Boiling Springs. Hotel is located by the interstate and near a lot of restaurants. The breakfast was really good and the hotel is priced well. My room was very clean and the hotel was very quite. I'd stayed here again if in the area. One negative is when I got there after 11, there was no parking and had to park at the Denny's next door due to the trucks with trailers.

It appears that the New and Improved Best western system is really working well. Updated rooms much better customer service. In the case of Spartenburg SC getting there is a bit tricky to say the least. Road work on I 85 and I 40 really hurts this modern facility.

Price and pictures looked good when I was booking this hotel, but was surprised when I arrived. Checked into the first room and there was nasty stuff all over the floor along with a left over French fry. Went and told staff and was put into another room that appeared a little cleaner. While walking in the halls and elevator it appeared that their vacuum had broken years ago as they were nasty. I'm not sure if they had ever been vacuumed as the build up was ankle deep.

This is a nice new hotel with one exception. It needs some major cleaning. The first room we checked into had disgusting carpets that were not vacuumed. There were pieces of French fries all over the floors. I'm not sure how they could have missed it. So got another room that was vacuumed but bathrooms not swept. As I looked around the public areas of the hotel I saw that apparently they don't sweep or vacuum the entire hotel. This could be a nice place if they cared anything about cleanliness.

We decided to stop for the night on the way to Myrtle Beach, so we needed a cheap room. All the hotels had good prices so I took a chance. This place looks pretty new. Very clean. I wish my other stays were like this, but not so lucky. The breakfast was ok. I like bacon and they only had sausage. The waffles were good and they had a decent selection of yogurt and other stuff. The bad: Pool was small and basically a hole in the ground. It's not far from everything, but its the only thing there. A few decent restaurants up the street, so not too bad.

We stayed here 4 years ago when it was America's Best Value Inn. We were iffy about staying since it changed but it was awesome!! The hot breakfast was good!! Kailey was awesome!! The staff was very nice!! We have 2 complaints!! They only have 2 elevators and one was broke so you had to wait forever!! The pool was dirty like the filter wasn't on.

Service was amazing. Rooms remodeled and gorgeous. Pool area very relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom were spacious with a walk-in shower. Staff was pleasant and attentive.

first time using the best western chain. very pleased with stay. a few hiccups that can be overlooked (lost power for a few hours and one working elevator). newly refurbished and looked great. fridge was cold, air was cold, bed was comfy. passed the 3 main tests for me. breakfest room is a bit small, large groups had trouble finding seating. overall great stay and will more than likely stay again next year.

Highly recommend this hotel. Once the highway opens, this will be a great stay for anyone passing needing a place to rest. People were friendly, accommodations amazing. If we need to find s place to stay when visiting family, we will definitely look to book a room here, as long as their prices don't increase.

Overall, was pleased with my stay at the Best Western Plus. Location to my family house and GHS Medical hospital was perfect. We were coming to Spartanburg for my cousin's funeral and I have another cousin who was in the It is also located within minutes from I85 interstate. Breakfast was included. Coffee was very delicious. They have the typical hotel breakfast which is big savings such as eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, etc. Good thing for the room: queen size beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room size is a bit tight but doable. The room included a microwave and refrigerator which is good to have. Some of the not so good things: upon check in, we noticed our room was not cleaned thoroughly. There was coffee stains on tile floor near sink, rug was not vacuumed, we noticed hair & dust along the baseboard of bathroom and the foyer into the room. Called to the front desk and Katrina immediately placed us into another room. This room was much cleaner.

My wife and I loved our stay at the Best Western Plus in Spartanburg. The staff were very welcoming and fast in the lobby. The room is still very new from the remodel, and looks very well taken care of. I loved the room and the shower especially. The bed was very comfortable and my wife loved the illuminated mirror that she used to get ready. The continental breakfast was wonderful with eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, waffles, various juices, and more. All in all great value and a great location. I also asked for a top floor and they put us on a top floor. The halls were quiet and the view was nice outside. If back in Spartanburg, I will be back!

I was pleased with a different Best Western Plus I stayed at and it had me searching for others whenever I travel. This has been newly remodeled and has a great feel. Breakfast is above par, but can get very busy at peak times. They had eggs and one breakfast meat (sausage) the time I went. The typical yogurt, carbs and waffles and juices. Fitness Center was above average which had dumbbells and fitness machines...not just an elliptical and treadmill like some other places. The room was very clean and came with a fridge and microwave. The beds were very comfortable and had many outlets and USB ports to use. It's right off of the interstate and there are many food/restaurant options within a 5 minute radius.

Very clean, newly remodeled hotel. Staff was very pleasant and rooms were very nice. Great breakfast. I would stay at this hotel on my visit to family again. Very reasonable rate is one of the reasons We picked this hotel.

The hotel had recently been renovated and was very well done. The beds were comfortable, rooms, halls and lobby were extremely clean. Breakfast was good, and all the staff were helpful and accomodating. For lunch or dinner, there is a newly renovated Denny's next door. Travelers on I-85 northbound should be aware that there are detours on that section of I-85.

This hotel is a great place to stay. It's very clean and updated. The beds were so comfortable. It's located just off of the interstate so it was very convenient. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast had as many choices as anyone could ask for. I highly recommend it.

We stopped here after driving in from Orlando and the beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean and great water pressure in the shower. Complimentary breakfast was delicious and everyone was very nice at the front desk. Would highly recommend if you're in the area!

I had a great stay at this hotel. It was very nicely remodeled. My room was clean and comfortable. Staff is very friendly. The hotel was very quiet. I was traveling alone and felt very safe in the area. Easy on and off 85 or at least will be once the construction is done.

Wow its awesome to stay in a great place for such a low price. Hotel is new and is very well taken care of, and the staff is very kind! Wish i would have had the same luck picking such a nice place on the way home, lol. Just off the interstate and many places to eat nearby.

I'm sorry to say that this place is a DUMP. I made the mistake of going for a cheap rate and it almost ruined my trip. I should have recognized it when I entered the dirty elevator...but the rate was SO CHEAP. I should have suspected when I left the elevator and saw the very stained carpets or the dirty door to my room...but the rate was SO CHEAP! The room seemed OK, bathroom clean, bedding smelled freshly laundered, so I felt a little better. But that was not to be. I felt a little uncomfortable, hard mattress and small pillows, but you get what you pay for. Then came the bites - BUG BITES. I started itching about 2AM, At 3AM I got up and looked in the mirror...BUG BITES!!!!!!! Say no more, i packed up and checked out. I was saved by the Spartanburg Marriott. Check out that review and NEVER, EVER FALL FOR ANOTHER SUPER CHEAP RATE.

I've stayed at this hotel multiple times over 7-8 years, and thought I'd posted an earlier review? It used be in a Best Western, but has been a ABVI for a while. It's an OK deal at the current 'bargain' price, but, be aware, it's a bit beat up, and some renovation is in progress. When I stayed here before, it seemed they catered to some large tour groups, some of which were kind of rowdy. That said, I never had a problem. It's a little isolated, but a Dennys is next door, and other food is within a half mile or so.

I just have to say how wonderful and friendly the staff here were. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping were so friendly and helpful during my stay. Since the last time I was here they have made some nice changes, like flat screen televisions and new bedding. Keep up the great work, I can't wait to stay again and see what other changes are coming.

We were on our way to Atlanta from NC and stopped off at this hotel for an overnight rest. The staff was extremely pleasant. We could tell some work is being done and the staff told us the hotel had been sold and the new owners are making quick and great improvements. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. The breakfast was a nice extra but the staff service goes a long way!
