Best Western SeaWorld San Antonio

Booked with booking.com which advertised a shuttle to the airport. I message and asked if the shuttle could take us to SeaWorld. The hotel messaged back and said yes and there would be no additional charge for that request. Upon check-in, learned that they have never had a shuttle service. I asked if our stay could be discounted since I was now having to pay for an Uber twice a day, for 2 days. The front desk clerk said most likely, but would have to be approved by management. No problem. The next day the manager Susan said it had to go through the GM. The next day Susan didn't have an answer but said the GM would be there that day. After returning, she said she never had a chance to talk to him. The next morning at check out, I asked again. She said the GM said no, they would not be discounting our stay because it was not their mistake, even though I have the email as proof. I reached out to customer service and filed a complaint. They told me the complaint would be routed to the GM of that facility. I told them that he had already told them no. The customer service rep told me that's how they handle their complaints. It doesn't go higher, it just goes back to that GM. There were other issues such as the room had an odor to it. There was not an ice machine. If you want water, you have to go to the front desk and ask for a bottle of water. The vending machines were out of order. And was told that they do not do sausage every morning for breakfast even though it's advertised.

I travel extensively, and this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. It was absolutely filthy. The commode was filthy. The shower was filthy. They did not clean the room. The floor was dirty and the manager at the front desk acting like he was a new employee when he was the general manager did nothing. there was no drinks you could purchase because the machine was broke, and they never fixed it and they never offered any services. The light in the room is flickering the air conditioner made noise, and you can't get your hand between the countertop and the commode to flush the commode. The towels are old , facial scrub. When taking a shower, the water does not go down the drain so you have about 5 to 6 inches of water around your feet because they need to work on their plumbing

Great place and area was very close too the parks sea world and six flags.also there were so many places too eat to choose from. Stores and just lovely to be at .just great for a family place thank you don't have more words to say byeeeeeeeereeeeeerreerrrrrr

Was willing to kill a baby and service dog because of the amount of bleach they used in a closed room with no airflow. They didn't accommodate for the condition of the rooms and told me they over booked. Then later I hear the cleaning lady say they had 2 rooms open up. They refused to put me in there either. Not ADA complaint

Hot tub broke Ice machine broke No hot water Horrible experience. Workers did not care that nothing was working. A car had the window busted out on the first nite. Not enough parking on second nite. Nightmare You want 200 hundred words to post this. You are crazy It it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it it

Me and my family book a room just for the night to go to seaworld. My truck got broken in and apparently this isn't the first time but a few times that other guest got broken in. When we left the parking lot another car got broken in as well. Their camera's at the back isn't good as well. Washer is broken and the dryer didn't even work. The room isn't bad, however, we won't book a hotel at this place again.

The place was trash the room smelled. The hallways carpet was stained all to hell. We paid for to Queen size beds but all the hotel offered was full size, the staff was great,is the only thing positive I wold say about this place. First time,last time to stay there,

Worst stay ever. Air conditioning was out in the main building and tubs are very slippery. They ran out of knifes for breakfast all week and the pool was closed most of the time. They also didn't honor the third night free deal. My knee is still sore from falling out of the tub backwards.

We regret staying at this hotel. The place is dirty. The elevator button panel and carpet is dirty. The hallway carpet is dirty. The towels are old and they either had hair from their previous user on them or were discolored from being old or both. We were given a slightly pink wash cloth. Like it was washed with a red piece of clothing that bled out in the wash. Instead of throwing it away they used it. The bathroom floor had loose tiles because water is getting underneath due to poor installation when it was remodeled. The light switch in the bathroom has not been wiped down in a long time. The shower was gross. There was hair on the shower walls when we got there. The housekeeping staff while nice, do not do a good job of cleaning. Best Western should look into who over is running this place because it really is gross. I will stick to other hotel companies instead of giving BW more of my money.

Blood on sheets, window broken, was woke up every morning by fire alarms, room was dirty, staff was never around

Good rate and great location to Sea World, but not a great hotel experience for us. Carpets were stained, AC unit was noisy and did not cool very well, shower water was hooked up backwards so that you got cold water in the hot water position. Breakfast was not kept fresh and stocked, the sausage links were tough and rubbery.

Was not greeted while checking in. Hotel clerk did not provide any valuable information upon checking in. He was more interested in checking ESPN on phone. Inefficient staff. No regular coffee ☕️. Toaster inoperable. Waffle Mix was watered down to cut hotel costs.

Upon entering the room there was an unpleasant smell of dirty bleach water. The room did not have hot water. It was very loud. Breakfast hours were reported incorrectly, and breakfast was not available during our stay. The staff was rude to the other guests, and it was not a comfortable experience. Positives were the proximity of where we were visiting.

Hotel was clean, newly remodeled. It was more than I expected for the price paid. My wife is in a wheelchair so we were in the handicapped room. The owner stopped to visit with us during breakfast and I told him that the bed in handicapped was too high and there needed to be more shelf space for toiletries in the handicapped bathroom. He said he would look into it. Should be great for next guest.

The room was filthy to start, the sink drain leaked all over the bathroom floor. The maintenance guy came and worked on and off for over an hour. He said it was fixed. He did slow the leak but it wasn't fixed. Stopped at the front desk and reported the room was filthy. Maid was already gone for the day. Next day I went out came back. Key card won't work. Back down to front desk they reset it and tried to blame it on me. I go back to the room. Still not cleaned. I go back to the front desk and they'll fix the sink and have the maid clean next day! On and on it goes, management apparently does not care!

Was given a dirty room and they knew it was dirty. Changed rooms and had brown stains on sheets. Rooms weren't cleaned but ac was turned up and tv turned off by staff and door was left ajar by maids when asking front desk what happened all she could say was idk I just got here

We were going to use the swimming pool as a family and the place was swarmed with bees. The bees were also inside the building and even in our room. The room only had a few bees, but that is still too much. The clerk at the desk said there was nothing she could do about them. On August 12th, 2023 I think every room should be given a discount. A exterminator needs to be called out as soon as possible, or the health department should be called or the correct department to monitor the problem. Hopefully no one was stung and allergic to bees.

It was a great stay the staff was extremely helpful even at 3am there was someone there to help. Breakfast was ok. Not really any hot food but yeah the stay was nice. I would book again at this hotel if I needed too.

This hotel is nice to stay in and it is very affordable. I just would like the breakfast would start at 6 instead of 6:30 a.m. I would like for them to have hot breakfast to. The rooms were clean and they were good size rooms.

The hotel was roach infested and not clean at all. Will never stay there again. Over prices and terrible breakfast also. I could not control the AC unit in my room either. It was freezing in there. Worst hotel I've ever stayed in.

If you do not like to drive around a lot. This is a good hotel to stay at. It is very close to Seaworld. It was under remodeling so the lobby and hall areas were a little messy, but the room was decent. I liked the touch screen mirror in the restroom and the reading nook on the window.

When I arrived at the hotel to check in I was informed that the entire hotel was under renovation and none of the rooms were complete. Although I paid for a room with a queen size bed, the room actually had a double, not a queen. Staff was not friendly The breakfast offerings were substandard.

Hotel was great for most part! I understand they were doing remodeling but would have been nice to have end tables and somewhere to hang out clothes. Staff was very polite and helpful when ask things of them. Enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay her again.

These rooms have everything and then some. Cool led backlit mirrors in the bathroom. Breakfast area with stools, microwave, mini frig and coffee maker. Even a couch in my room. Free breakfast where you make your own giant Texas shaped waffles!!!

Friendly staff and basic starchy breakfast. The hotel was quiet even though it filled up. The room was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed having the coffee maker and kitchenette. We discovered the hotel is contracted for food delivery and liked all the choices.

I only read bad reviews and was hesitant to book this hotel. Being on a budget I took my chances and couldn't of been more pleased. I will strongly recommend to all my other friends visiting the area to watch their kids graduation at Lackland AFB!! Cassie was extremely friendly at the front desk, Jude was hands on helpful at breakfast and kept it clean. Comfortable beds, convenient location, couldn't ask for more!!

I got there Friday night and the lady up front was very nice she helped with what she could. We checked into our first room and the tv would not work so we called the front desk and she told us that there was nothing she could do for us until tomorrow morning. We asked if we could switch rooms and she switches us room like 5-6 different times. I'll just say that all the rooms we got switched (to before the one we ended up staying in) the tv did not work! In one room the tv did not even have a remote. One of the rooms the AC did not even work. In each room we found some type of article that did not belong to us and they were all turned into the front desk as well. We found a men's hat in one room, socks in other rooms, plastics bags in another one, and lastly in the one we stayed in my daughter found a pair of extra large women's underwear in her bed (also turned in to front desk). The Pool was disgusting, it had trash and insects in it and also was really foggy as well as not having anywhere to sit or put our towels on. The jacuzzi was cold and did not turn on. While switching rooms in the guest laundry near the elvators there was a yellow mattress just sitting there as well as people laundry hanging in there! I have never had such a bad stay.

Facility was good, but breakfast that was provided was not at all up to the mark, I have to go out and get breakfast for my family. all the other part were good. if I go San Antonio next time I will stay there but if my breakfast is messed up again I will never visit this facility again.

This room was infested with ants. I told staff and she came with a can of raid and stated no rooms available. Also microwave and counter top was dirty. The carpet has a sticky spill and someone's fake eye lashes was in carpet!

The hotel staff was very nice. I even left my wallet and they called me and made arrangements to mail it to me. Breakfast was always on time, simple, make your own waffles, cereal, fruit, juices, coffee, and bagels. The pool was clean. Rooms were average but clean. Can actually see SeaWorld from a distance from your room. Less than 10minutes drive to SeaWorld.

I stayed here this past week. Driving up, I was impressed as the outside is beautiful. The inside of the hotel is also very nice and the staff I encountered were friendly. My room was small but adequate. I was very disappointed in the noise level from the hallway and room next door. Luckily I am an early riser, or I would have been extremely upset with the neighbor turning on their TV at 6:15 on a Sunday morning. I heard the whole show as if it were in my room. Noises from the hallway including whole conversations were also frustrating.

No wifi available. Poor breakfast with no juice, little fruit choice, etc. Very thin walls made for a noisy stay. Small, cramped rooms barely functional for 2 people. Other family members were in an "accessible" room that really wasn't.

This is a sleep only place. Be sure to read the amenities section for the room. Our room was very cramped and almost clostrophobic and did not have a fridge or microwave. Be sure to bring your own pillow to sleep with.
