Best Western Plus Hotel San Antonio East Inn & Suites, San Antonio

Honesty this place will be our new go to when needing a place to stay when visiting out of town. I'm the type to read reviews before making a decision and honestly I'm glad I decided to give this place the try! We really enjoyed our stay here. Rooms were very spacious which we LOVED so much, they were very clean, and another AMAZING part of the room was when entering for the first time it was already cold which with this heat was amazing to enter to! The young lady that was there did not get her name but she was very attentive and helpful and made us feel very welcomed! And got the chance to try the breakfast and everything was sooo good!! You do get different variety and everything was nice and warm and delicious! Highly recommend, had to give them this review due to the wonderful experience we had and hope this was helpful to make the decision to stay here. The only thing I will say that I personally didn't like as much was the rooms right next to each other since we had just arrived late at night were settling in and unfortunately we can't control the tone of our laughs guests next door complained of us being too loud. But again thanks to the wonderful lady that was there did inform us of the issue and was able to explain the guests we had just arrived.

Excellent service at check in and check out. Professional associates and clean rooms. Quite a few options for those late night snacks and drinks. Don't worry if you left you toiletries they have them available as well.

There is nothing exciting about driving across South Texas. But after a long day, this was going to be our place to sleep. And that we did. Very nice rooms with plenty of space. The lobby is a little bit different and not particularly inviting. But, everything else was fine.

People are extremely friendly and helpful. Always take good care of me. Beds are comfortable. The amenities are great the only issue I have is, the shower heads need replaced but usable. Will definitely be back.

From the excellent professionalism of the staff - the cleanliness of the room - excellent hot breakfast - for the price - you cannot beat it. Everyone has been to places where the staff is not happy working there. You can tell that the staff is treated well by the management and goes down to how the customers are being served. We stay there at least twice a year and it more like staying at a relative's house than staying in a hotel

I checked in late(after midnight) the first room I was given had a malfunction with the door lock. When I brought it up to the front desk, she immediately changed my room without hesitation. The room was very quiet with little to no sound from the rest of the hotel. Bed was very comfortable! Overall this is one of the better places I've stayed in my travels. Thank you for everything!

Great location, close to all the dealerships. One thing I enjoyed while staying at this hotel is their hospitality to treat their customers. I stayed for 5 days and I enjoyed it along with numerous rides to the dealership and fast foods. Normally order from Uber Eats but the driver was willing to take me to places to get something to eat.

The entire property is lovely. Room was nice and clean. Everything is in good shape. The beds are very high up though. Had a hard time climbing in a few times in the middle of the night. Staff was nice and helpful.

I highly recommend. Well priced for how it's set up. They offer breakfast and room service. Plenty of places to order from if you choose to order out and have it delivered as well. Overall amazing place and I plan on being back again.

The hotel was great for a quick trip to see my son at Fort Sam Houston (10-15 minute drive). All of the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and professional! The bed was SUPER comfortable! Breakfast was suffice. The gym equipment worked and clean. I would stay here again

We got in before the ice storm and stayed for two days. The clerk at check-in was very pleasant. He gave us directions on where to eat and gave his card in case we got lost. The room was very clean and the fitness center was in working order. Good location right off I10.

My first impressions of the front lobby when entering the hotel was not 100 % positive. The lobby is not as fancy or pretty as other hotels that we have stayed at. I have to say, the staff was friendly and always there to help with any issues to make our stay great. Breakfast was exactly what we have come to expect from Best Western, fresh and hot food. Very good! Love the waffles!!! The biggest plus was the comfort of the bed and the pillows. They were the best that we experienced on our whole trip. The disappointment was the odor in the room when we first entered. But once the air was circulated and we did get a fan from the front desk, the odor was not noticeable at all.

Basic room, but in need of some repairs. Our tub drained very slowly and there were a few minor room issues. The bed was very comfortable and there was no room noise despite being very near the expressway. Free breakfast was fine with enough hot or cold choices. I'd stay again due to prices, but if money isn't a big concern there are plenty of other better options.

We always stay at this BW when attending the area dances. Best customer service, friendly owners, always clean comfortable rooms. Coffee delicious with a hot breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage and biscuits with gravy. A+ as usual. Hospitality can't be beat. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

They have a very clean parking lot and the Lobby is very clean , Staff is the best, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and hot food. Rooms are very clean and comfortable beds.They now have a food truck come out for dinner and late night snacks.

A lot of construction guys staying nightly at this hotel and though it is a non-smoking hotel, the non-smoking room offered reeked of cigarette smoke. When I went to talk to the front desk about changing rooms, I was offered a can of Lysol spray. This was helpful but it only masked the scent of stale cigarette smoke. I would not recommend staying at this location.

Stayed here 3 nights all staff were professional, helpful, and friendly. Hotel was clean, nice big room, felt safe in the hotel and outside. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend this location.

Room was great, delicious breakfast, a lot of parking and staff was very helpful. The location was only 10-15 minutes away from the places we visited. Easy access to freeway. The only thing I would change is the pools cleanliness. We didn't utilize the gym, but it had a lot of machines to exercise on.

When I checked into my room, I noticed it was low on or missing many of the essentials: soap, shampoo, lotion, hair dryer, etc. I guess housekeeping forgot to finish stocking my room; no big deal. I called the front desk and someone brought up the items I needed. Up until then, my experience was pleasant. However, at check out everything changed. I mentioned to the desk clerk that the room was still missing several items (e.g. hair dryer, shampoo) as well as a maintenance issue (bathroom fan didn't work). You would have thought I insulted the clerk's mother! She immediately became defensive and hostile. She rudely implied these issues were my fault and proceeded to lecture me on how hard she works. I didn't know where this outburst came from, or why this desk clerk is so frustrated with her job. I don't expect this type of service from anyone, much less a Best Western "Plus" charging over $100/night. This hotel needs to retrain their staff on common courtesy.

The entire staff was amazing. They truly go out of their way to make sure your stay is problem free. My family and I had to stay over 45 days due to flooding in our home. We were able to have suites, which made our stay more like home. I was able to cook because we had a full kitchen. I highly recommend for a long stay or simply to get away and relax. You wil not be disappointed.

The staff was nice and helpful. The room was nice. I slept great. The bed was awesome. No place to eat in walking distance but they do have places that deliver. The lady that checked me in hooked me up with some great pizza. My over all experience was great. I diffently would recommend this hotel.

We went to San Antonio, was supposed to be a day trip. We looked downtown,nothing. There was a convention going on. So we headed home. It poured rain. You could not see the car in front of you. As I passed the exit I saw the best western plus. I called and asked if they had a room. The gentleman was the nicest guy. Luckily they had a room and he saved it for me till I could turn around and get there. The room was clean and perfect. The man at the front told me about the breakfast in the morning it was good enough to put food in our belly till we could get home. The shower was hot. If I need another hotel on my way to or from San Antonio I'm stopping here

Stopped by because my trucks a/c went out. Thought one or two days. Ended up staying 9 days. Everyone was so polite and courteous. Complementary breakfast every morning was a great way to start ones day. Would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

The hotel itself was very quiet. It could use a little updating but it was clean and comfortable and close to family. The front desk staff were pleasant, all of them, good job! Had an issue with the tv but they fixed it promptly.Beds were comfortable.

My husband and I have stayed at many hotels and I gotta say this one has outstanding customer service. Check in was pleasant and quickly completed. Rooms were clean and the front desk staff went above and beyond on every request we made. Our cell phone charger broke late one night and I called to see if they had any for sale. They actually had loaner chargers at the front desk. First time i have had that happen. Awesome communication…i can not recommend this hotel enough

First time staying in a BW Plus hotel and it was kind of disappointing. To start though, the staff was friendly and our room was clean but for the price you pay, one would would think to at least get a complimentary bottle of water but was asked to pay or use the fountain. Every other hotel we've ever stayed at always offered this very simple and customer friendly amenity.

I was only there for one night... came in late and left before dawn. I wish I had more time to spend in the San Antionio area, and this property would have made a great home base. We stayed here because of road conditions during the great Texas blizzard of 2021. We made a reservation while on the road, and the hotel filled up within an hour of our arrival with weary travelers and home owners! Front desk staff were helpful and did what they could to help a full lobby...with a smile on their faces the whole time and unwavering patience! The hotel lost water later that night due to the water plant losing power. Cold breakfast was STILL served to those that wanted it! Front staff and owners on hand to help with whatever they could! I would recommend this lodging for ANYONE at ANYTIME for ANY circumstance! Thank you for your hospitality in a very stressful situation!

Hotel is oddly sited; it had no real entrance of it's own. Just a gravel drive that it shared with 18 wheeler tractor dealer next door. The other side is a storage yard for RVs. The rooms and halls are spartanly furnished. Noise from the freeway and the tractor dealership next door is considerable. The hotel does not resemble the picture. Very fully priced in relation to other equivalent nearby properties. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

On our way to Louisiana for Christmas. Decided to spend two night at Best Western Plus San Antonio. The owners were very nice and helpful. Everyone that worked there were kind. Would stay again. Rooms clean and I liked they checked on us to see if we needed anything in our room. With the Covid most hotels never come around to your room.

I am disappointed that we had this experience as well, but if customer service is important my question is why didn't I experience this in every area of stay? My issue now is you are pushing your business at the expense of my experience. You are going on and on about what your staff should be doing and not focusing on my issues during our extended stay. How does your cleaning procedures and protocols have anything to do with the racial tone some of your staff members clearly displayed? We, however have different opinions on our conversation which is why my comment was written. Like now you are making excuses for very clear racial behavior as a language barrier. You know as well as I do the tables between us was not my issue, yet you are sharing with all who may read my comments a plug to show what you are doing. But if we can stay on subject it was NEVER about the tables it was the difference in how we were served oppose to the Hispanic and white hotel guests. Neither of their food requests were slid across the table nor were they spoken to rudely. However, our experience was very different. I don't know what you consider customer service, but as a former hotel manager her behavior would not be tolerated nor would I excuse it by saying it was a language barrier. The housekeeping speaking Spanish of which I spoke enough to say what I needed. So, no she decided that she would not honor my request and if she needed to go and get what I requested they should have done just that. That is providing a service with a reasonable request. She could have spoken to the Front Desk personnel when they called our room after I made the request if she was unsure. But I am sure my Spanish language was good enough for her to understand and refuse to provide the service. So, noted you provided me with 30 minutes of excuses during our phone call as you are now. As for COVID-19 procedures they aren't being strictly enforced as guest freely walked in your hotel with no mask and no staff members urged them too and your breakfast server used a hand with no glove to serve food items which we refused. Based on our 30 minute conversation and your response here, as you stated on our call you had to address her behavior before, you are not fixing but patching up a bleeding wound. So, if you have addressed her before, but you say the issue was addressed then how is your explanation valid. Because in my opinion you are providing excuses. I have stayed a numerous hotels and never have they attempted to make excuses for bad behavior as if the guest not being able to understand the hotel staff or visa versa being the issue. It is not a regular occurrence for me to address matters of such, but if I spend money to stay at a hotel and basic service is not provided then I address the issue.

On the 28th and 29th we had the unfortunate encounter with Ms Rosa. On the 28th we watched her address another guest, Hispanic very courteous. She made sure he was pleased with what she provided. However, when we walked up to the table she slid our food across the table, got upset because we didn't want orange juice after she made the wrong drink and when we asked for a different orange because it was way too soft she interrupted us and said, "wait a minute I am not finished yet." So we just let her continue even though what we asked for was wrong. We thanked her and left. I went down alone on the 29th and our order was placed without biscuits and gravy, however when she put them on the plate I told her no we requested bagels and not biscuits she yelled, " just wait a minute. I am not finished yet." She then dropped a fork on the table and when I requested another one she said, "it is all the same." It may be to her, but not to me. Then she is wearing one glove and touched the rim of our drinking cup with the hand that had no glove. This is the second time she was rude. In the time of this pandemic it is extremely important to watch sanitary procedures. It is because people are not acting responsibly and with extreme caution that it is spiking again. My desire to act responsibly should not be offensive to someone who chooses not to. We had the same rude experience with the housekeeper on our second room service. She even acted annoyed by our simple request for two extra small towels because we don't wash our face with the towels we wash our bodies with. The housekeeper on Wednesday seemed upset while cleaning our room. We are not nasty or disorganized and to be honest our request wasn't anything out of the ordinary. My wife asked her to change the mattress cover and replace for a clean one. She said she could not and proceeded to change the linen. When my wife asked if she could spray freshener in the room and get two extra small towels she huffed as my wife annoyed her, after getting the towels the housekeeper just went around spraying as if it were a bother. I realize everyone has a job to do, however no guest should ever feel unwelcome or uncomfortable about simple requests that is another person's job. The front desk staff was professional and the shuttle service is a plus.

In addition we ensure a very high standard of cleanliness prior to and during this pandemic. We are taking Covid-19 cleaning procedures and protocols very seriously in accordance to guidelines. The manager had been able to discuss these matters with you after check-out. We are deeply sorry that you had felt this experience, which was very unusual for us. Feedback had been given to all of the staff at the time. The issues mentioned have been addressed. We are doing our best to offer a Free Hot Breakfast that goes above the offerings of most hotels, currently during the pandemic in a safe manner. Two tables have been placed in front of the breakfast attendant to allow you to be fully served with distance created between the guest, and therefore a tray needs to be slid across. Again, sorry for your encounter. The housekeeping were Spanish-speaking, wearing masks and believe there may have been some language barriers and mis-perceptions as they do provide extra items upon request. Front Desk personnel would have been happy to assist and convey any specific requests to housekeeping, especially as she may not have had an extra mattress cover with her. We like to encourage all guests to mention any issues at the time so that we can provide a solution and a comfortable pleasant stay during your visit. Shuttle trips that had been requested daily were above our normal offering which we happily provided to you. We are glad that you had a good experience with other team members. We hope that a future stay would be positive all around, as that is the standard we strive for.

We stayed 2 nights here with a pet, and were very pleased with everything. We were greeted upon check-in and were made to feel welcome and appreciated. The room was clean and spacious. They offered a hot breakfast. The hotel sent a text that links you to the site where you order your breakfast for the next morning. A very unique system. We enjoyed our stay, and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again in the future.

I would like to thank Best Western Plus for the outstanding hospitality and professional service. I definitely enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean, sanitize and smell really good. Management was very nice and professional. Our room was exceptionally clean and it has body wash, shampoo and conditioner containers on the shower wall, there is a hand soap wall container by the sink. There is a nice size TV, fast internet, college fridge and small microwave. The bed is comfortable as well. Breakfast is scheduled by a text message where you request your food and is provided when you come down in the morning, but you order the day before. A few of the selections are flat eggs, biscuits and gravy with no meat, juice, yogurt, bagels sausage and fruit. The breakfast will need to be warmed up in your microwave. No blow dryer but there is an iron and ironing board. The hotel requires mask, but as expected even with the surge in COVID some guest ignored the visible signs. You can not ride in the shuttle without one which is great. No airport pick up or drop off, but they will get you to Walmart and nearby truck or car repair shops. Housekeeping staff needs to be more attentive to guests needs when requested but overall nice stay.

The hotels managers gave every hospitality to me during my stay. The desk staff made feel like a permanent resident each day. The shuttle driver, a kind gentleman, took me to where I needed to get to and helped in every way when I had a task or question. I will say thank you to all.

Very kind and friendly. She made sure I got vegan items for breakfast. They also called and made sure to let me know right before the shuttle left. Only downside is the pool was closed. Likely due to the virus.

The people here are always pleasant and accommodating. With all going in todays world on they still found a way to give great service. The breakfast was good, most hotels just do not try to accommodate travelers with anything, the motel had you place a order then all you had to do was tell personnel your name. Avani and Bianca we're just super! They checked me in and attended to all of my needs to get me to my room and arrange for breakfast by handing me a little preferred menu paper to fill out. Such attention to detail! The room was super clean, all of the fixtures in the bath area were highly polished and spotless! At time of check out, that young lady was extremely helpful as well. I did not get her name but this facility is dedicated to customer service. These are the type of people that make you want to come back and stay again. And I am looking forward to it! Steve

My truck was in the Kenworth shop across the road, lol I10, I called pretty late in the day and asked for a room. I got one and they sent a shuttle to pick me up. The room itself was spotless, the bed was awesome, the water was hot. Breakfast was served to me and I took it back to my room. The girl who checked me in was English, and came from a town only 50 miles away from where I was born....small world. I would definately stay here again.

We had a great stay there, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and fresh. The shuttle service was a huge benefit for us and the driver was a very safe driver. It's a great place to stay and the prices are very good.

I absolutely loved the room. The only down fall was being that close to the interstate you do get alot of road noise. But you do get used to it. The room was nicely decorated. I loved the curtains and the bedspread. I'm actually going to purchase curtains like these for my room back home. 10/10 would stay again

The manager at this hotel would not honor the Stay 2 Nights get next stay free. I was told by employees in San Antonio and Tucson that after staying 2 nights the next night would be free. I was not told that I needed to wait or do anything to get the next stay free. The other employees here were very helpful and one young lady went out of her way to help me.

I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Effecient, friendly staff. Large, clean room and bathroom. Easy access off I-10 E. Just a short drive to the famous Red Barn Steak House. Good food....

If you want to stay close to Fort Sam, this one of the best locations. It is just off of the freeway and very close to the post. Breakfast buffet is offered, 24/7 coffee bar, in room microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The hotel is well maintained. Several eateries are within walking/driving distance from the hotel.

On I-10 but very quite. The hotel is having some renovation; however, it didn't interfere with our comfort. The staff was very attentive with directions and even called up to the room when we left the cars light on by accident. Comfy beds. Quiet and cool A/c.

The room key pad needed new battery which front desk was quick to handle and the location has Interstate 10 construction going on making getting to our destination very difficult. Love that there is not carpet in these rooms.

It might sound like a hefty price BUT you always get what you pay for. We loved the decor in the room and the lobby. The check out wasnt so early and the breakfast they had in the morning was delicious. Omelette, cereal, bread, waffles, they also have a sort of small store at the lobby with medicines, drinks and snacks as well as full meal options. THE IMPORTANT PART FOR TRUCKERS, THERE IS PARKING RIGHT NEXT TO THE HOTEL.

Was here because my vehicle was broke down. Rooms were spacious and the entire staff were super nice. When I left I for got about needing an uber to get to the airport for a car rental. I had just basically emptied my bank account for cash on the rd. When she heard about it she offered to get me an uber under her account and just give her cash. Saved my butt. This place is surrounded by road construction and is under renovation itself but don't be discouraged. Our only bad moment was visiting our room and realizing it reeked of smoke, no doubt from renovating crew. The hotel staff immediately assigned us to a spacious clean replacement room and after that it was all good. Room was very comfortable, with a good TV and lighting. It was blessedly quiet. Staff was uniformly genuine and helpful. Breakfast was great, with thoughtful touches like truly delicious fresh fruit and good coffee and blueberry waffles. Wi-Fi is free and signal is strong.

Even though the hotel was going through renovations, I could not see any dust or mess from this. My room was clean, bathroom clean and the towels were soft. 4 pillows on the bed and a lumbar pillow. Bed was comfy and the A/C unit worked great.

It was a little pricey, but that was truly my fault as I booked it on the same day of me staying, but it had a good staff, big room, big TV, it was very clean, and they gave us many towels, soaps, and other things that we would normally need during an hotel stay. Never once had to go ask for extra's.

Husband and I reserved a spacious two room suite for our two night, three day stay. Bedroom with king bed, second flat screen TV and window with a separate living area complete with a flat screen TV, sofa, comfortable upholstered chair, and writing desk area. We are seniors and don't travel much, but we were extremely pleased with this establishment's cleanliness and friendly willingness to cater to our needs without question..ie; extra sheets and blankets etc. All amenities were included in our suite...microwave, refrigerator, iron, etc. Bathrooms are sanitary, sparkling and freshly scented, however there were no shower safety handles or grab bars nor safety strips on the bathtubs floor. So steady as she goes! A wonderful full, sumptuous hot breakfast (they refer to as a continental breakfast), is available every morning. Complete with eggs, breakfast meats, waffles, biscuits and gravy, and assorted juices, jams and jellies. A small snack room is provided near check-in desk. A small but adequate workout gym is also provided and though we didn't take advantage of this service, it appeared to be very clean.

Stayed for four nights in a kingsize room with spa bath. Good sized very clean room, comfortable bed, excellent spa bath. Separate bath / shower combo. One middling sized closet with an ironing board and iron provided, although they are barely adequate for anything other than the lightest of travel creased clothes. Good free breakfast, traditional, cereal, and healthy options. Service starts at 0630. Friendly, helpful staff. Plenty of parking. Recommended.

Me my husband and son stayed at this best western for a total of 5 nights while in town visiting family and getting away for a bible study retreat. When checking out of our room we noticed a $50 fee charge labeled MJ smoke... when I asked them about it they said that a neighbor called and said they smelled MJ smoke and so they are charging our room, we informed them that one we have a smoking room but two they must had us confused with another room because we don't do drugs and furthermore if they believed that drugs were being used on their property they should have called the police not extort money out of us. We ended calling the police and they agreed with us but could not get BW to give us our money back but provided us with some resources for legal recourse. BW corporate said they could not do anything about it and that it was at the liberty of the hotel mgr to remove charge. Furthermore I attempted to get a cup of hot water from their hot water craft and it had particles of mold floating all in it bc they do not clean out the water pot just keep adding water. THEY ARE CONDUCTING FRAUD LIKE BUSINESS

Thank you for the review. The 1-bed single room had been reserved for 2 guests and we were not informed of any additional persons staying. The charge that you refer to had been informed to your room on the date of the incident which was 3 days prior to your departure. You had confirmed at check-out that the information had been received to your room regarding the discounted charge for the type of smoke that had been detected from your room; and hotel policy being broken. As there had been a disturbance at check-out, the hotel did call the police to investigate the situation and view evidence related to the charge from the room that you had rented. We apologize for any issues with the coffee pot, it has been replaced.

We were delayed by two hours to check in as we were told short staffed and previous customer checked out late. Then when we checked in, the suit had bugs and we had to get rid of them. Rooms were comfortable, spacious and very friendly staff and warm continental breakfast. Pro: friendly staff, clean area, warm food. Corn: delay in check in, a bit old bathroom and fixtures, no vents in bathroom, lady bugs in the room.

I picked this hotel as a last minute choice to see family during Thanksgiving. It's just outside of San Antonio on the eastern side. I wasn't looking for a super fancy hotel, and left on a good note. The staff and rooms are good, and I feel the price is good for what's offered. I was mostly content with the room, service, and small amenities. Many places will still deliver to the hotel as well despite it being fairly far from the center of the city. There are better hotels available for a higher price, this isn't a bad spot if you just need a place to rest.

This is an excellent find. My company set me up here and what a jewel. The staff is wonderful and rooms are spacious and clean. Best of all the bathrooms have dial soap dispensers for hands, body and hair. Amazing. Ashok Patel great staff especially Elena.

This is my 3rd year of staying at Best Western Plus SA East! I Love! this place, the road construction is not their fault. I'm from Houston, and their roads have been under construction for the last 50 years! The staff is so warm and helpful. Always a smile and a hello. That's Customer Service 101! They got it! It was the best stay ever. I went with my friends and we stayed for wedding my sister was having. The lady in frint helped us out check in early. The breakfast was your usual but really good. Enjoyed the stay definitely recommend.

Awful construction, nothing close. On our stay there were some strange power outages and very questionable people who were also staying in the hotel. Rivercity Gymnastics needs to check the hotels they refer to out of town guests in the future...this should not be one of them.

The hot rub was great, just right. No To Hot. The swimming Pool was just the right temperature. The staff was excellent. The breakfast could have been a little different. Basically the same as other hotels

Just on the outskirts of San Antonio is near a little town called China Grove is a Best Western Plus. The staff welcomes you like family and the comfort of the rooms is better than being at home.Your still close enough to everthing in town to use UBER if you plan on enjoying the local amenities. Do not overlook this hotel. It may be on the outskirts of town but easy access to anywhere. By far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff was great. They take pride in this hotel. I now stay exclusively with best western.

We loved San Antonio and the Best Western was clean quiet and had great air conditioning! We were able to walk to the Alamo and River Walk which was fabulous. However we wished it was closer to the river walk especially walking back at night. Hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast included waffles in the shape of Texas!

I recently stayed at the hotel for my daughter's Air Force graduation. I can't say enough about this hotel. We have a 2 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. Everything in the room was very clean, and they even delivered freshly washed dished to our room. We also utilized the pool which was great. I travel quite often and stayed at some very upscale hotels, but I have to tell you that the staff and service here are second to none. I want to especially put a Thank You out there for Judith at the Front Desk for all of her directions and local advice. Also. I BIG Thank You to Rose in the breakfast area, She was so super nice and helpful. I am going to miss her. She is the sweetest person ever. Judith and Rose are both assets to your team.

Our initial reservations got recorded for the incorrect day by another hotel leaving us stranded. From 10:30pm to 12:30am we searched for a place to spend the night. We searched all of San Antonio and surrounding areas. Finally we got in touch with Molly and were saved. She was extremely understanding to our situation and very kind and helpful. Once morning check out came, the front desk lady was just as friendly and helpful as the night before (I'm sorry I didn't get her name). Best Western Plus San Antonio is definitely where my family and I will stay each time we visit the area!

Worst in service . They kept an elevator which wasn't working for two whole days . Have never ever stayed in a hotel which had a faulty elevator unfixed for this long . Imagine people and elders staying on 4th floor

Stayed here for 2 nights very clean and very attentive. Breakfast in the morning from 6:30 to 9:30 is quite good with eggs, sausage and fruits and yogurt. 10 minute drive to river walk. Rooms are super clean and come with hair dryer and microwave but the only down fall is no safe. Pool is delightful and very clean although we had a lot of flying ants that day but staff kept coming out to skim the pool.

due to the road construction around the hotel it was a road trip to go to a restaurant or to the job site and back if you are here for a period you should stock up with sandwich stuff and snacks or be prepared for a drive to and back.

We really only slept there and got up and left but from what I could see, our room was clean, bathroom was clean, kitchen area was clean, refrigerator was clean. The only real down side to this hotel was all of the construction going on right in front on I-10, it was just inconvenient.

No problem at all during our one night stay. The lobby staff were professional both upon arrival and at departure. The breakfast lady was particularly nice. Location is ideal for those who don't want to spend a fortune staying in downtown just for a room to sleep and breakfast.

I am partially deaf and can hear the tv at a medium volume. But the tv at this best western were ridiculously set to a very low volume 36 and didn't go ant higher. I asked if it could be adjusted and they told me no. After we went to stay at another best western in Arlington and had no problems because they had no set volume. What's up with that. We are going back to San Antonio and I'm debating on staying there again .

I cannot say enough good about this hotel. I was shocked when I was told it was 10 years old as it looks brand new. The reception staff is excellent and I believe Elene was her name, she went out of her way to help us with local attractions so we would not miss anything. We are entitled to certain benefits being with Best Western so many times, and we know we are entitled to upgrades when available but we have never, ever been offered that. Well, this location upgraded our room for us at no extra charge. This place was spotless and all the staff are so friendly. The breakfast room is looked after by an amazing woman named Rose. She is incredible and makes you feel like she is welcoming you into her home every day. I have never experienced this level of service at any hotel, even ones that cost a lot more than this. I am so appreciative of our stay here and wish all hotels were run this way.

Perfect location for Fiesta Texas! Rooms are large, beds are clean, breakfast buffet offers a lot of choices! The staff is very accommodating. They gave me a better price then online hotel websites. I was very pleased with our stay and will visit again during the summer because of their gigantic pool!!!

Let's start with the receptionist. She went out of her way to attend to our needs, she helped with Sea world tickets, she even let us know about the coming up events in San Antonio. The room was very clean although I did wish there was more towels as I forgot to bring ours but everything else was great. The internet worked fairly nice, they even have a menu in the room you call and they bring your food. It does take about an hour for delivery but who cares when you're not trying to drive out. The pool was clean. Over all we will be coming back to Best Western ?

Staff very friendly and accommodating. Pets welcome. A nice clean, room that includes little refrigerator and microwave. Bed/pillows comfortable. The rooms were in great shape and very clean. Breakfast is better than most places with the taquitos an refried beans. Access is a bit awkward with the service road construction but it is worth it. No restaurants nearby but they have a room service vendor.

We like this property it has 18wheeler parking and right off the feeder so easy for us drivers (: it's clean, quiet, and a good hot breakfast. Plenty of hot water for 2 baths. Great customer care, very friendly.

I expected more from this hotel for the price and was disappointed. The location is not very good without transportation. The breakfast was good. Itcgas work to do but it's attainable. I just hope the gorgeous female in the front realizes that everyone doesn't have a desire to take their company items. I make more than you do in a week one day as a Owner Operator. Lol

Cost of the room varies on many factors and always offer the biggest bang for your buck through the large selections of our amenities. We are located on the East side of the city just minutes from Historical Downtown San Antonio. We are also parallel to the local town of Converse with many shops and dining options and many forms of transportation available in the Metro which makes us a favorite for the majority of our guests. Our front desk team would have been happy to provide information on any of these. We are sorry if you felt offended in anyway by the staff. It is always our intention to be thoughtful in our approach to our guests. We are sorry if she fell short in this however, our team are trained to assist us in the reduction of missing items as this is problem in many hotels. Drive safe and have a nice day!

Great friendly staff, good breakfast and easy check in and check out. Although the bed was comfortable, it was hard for me to sleep because I am used to a harder bed. There is construction by the hotel and it might be hard to get to and from there in the future.

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to all restaurants, highways, gas stations, shopping and places of interest. The staff are super nice with outstanding attitudes to help you. Bed was too high to comfortably get into even for a 6' person. The breakfast was the usual fare except for the offer of watermelon, grapes, pineapple, and strawberries. The thermostat in our room went out of order but was repaired by the time we returned. Furniture was an older couch and chair which I thought was inappropriate for Best Western Plus. Lots of construction on highway making ease of entering freeway inconvenient.

Good stay. All work members very courteous and friendly. Very convenient location to get to my work. Rate is very affordable. Amenities were good and accessible. I have stayed at the Best Western in Converse many times over the last two years and the service is always good. All employees are friendly and make sure that I am satisfied.

We arrived late at this hotel and did not have a reservation. The manager was at the desk and was incredibly helpful. We were concerned about our vehicle and trailer and he showed us how they watch the parking area with their cameras. He even turned the camera and showed me our truck.

A highlight of our stay was the breakfast. Very accommodating staff took good care of our family group. The rooms were clean but the towels needed to be replaced (frayed ends). It was nice to have a good mini-fridge and microwave in the room. Air conditioning unit worked very well. Plenty of good parking. Overall a pretty nice facility and worthy of a weekend stay.

The stay I had at this Best Western has been by far one of the greatest experience I have had even though I was on a business trip they truly made me feel at home even though I was far from that thank you Best Western I look forward to more stays with you all

This particular Best Western is being poorly maintained, has a sub-par breakfast and terrible customer service. Other Best Westerns I have been to have been nicer, but not this one. They up-charged me when I had to be switched to another room due to technical issues, and the room the switched me to was located right by the lobby and breakfast room, as well as right by elevator mechanics. It was a very noisy room, so I had to sleep with the TV on. Then, when I was showering, the water faucet came flying off and almost hit me. I had to run bath water just to finish bathing. I can handle all that, but then the front desk staff was very rude and uncompensating for my terrible experience. I kept having to bug them about it to get compensation. I really wouldn't recommend this particular Best Western.

You had opted to change to an upgraded non-smoking room for fee. We are sorry that there was a maintenance issue with the faucet in your room. As soon as you informed our front desk agent, the issue was immediately fixed. Our front desk staff do not have the authority to authorize any form of compensation. Very soon after your departure a manager was able to offer you compensation as our maintenance standards had fallen short on this occasion. Wanted something easy to get too just off interstate that was clean and safe. Hotel fit those requirements. On the positive it was clean and safe. On the negative.. it's not located close to any restaurants. The area is industrial. People upstairs woke me at 1 am sounded like small children running up and down the hall. Front desk clerk was great. Left before breakfast.

We chose this hotel again because we stayed here about a month ago. We knew Elena and the staff were personable, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean. Plenty of hot and cold choices for breakfast. Rose in the breakfast room is a delight. Conveniently located near truck repair facilities.

Stopped here after a long day on the road. Hotel is right off I10, east of San Antonio. Was able to get started in the morning with no traffic worries. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was very clean and up to date. Staff was very nice and helpful. Wifi worked very well. Breakfast had a nice variety and plenty of it. Would definitely stay here again.

My party of three arrived at 2am after a long drive. The check-in staff was fast, friendly and efficient. Because of our late arrival, we made breakfast just at the closing time. No problem for this warm, welcoming staff. They offered to bring more of all their breakfast fare even though they were in the process of closing up. The manager, Avani Patel came over to assist us with our travels to Houston and even printed a map of the road closures due to flooding from Hurricane Harvey. All in all a wonderful stay at this dynamite of a hotel!

The excellent service began with the phone call to reserve the room. After being duped by a 3rd party online booking site earlier this summer, I was extra cautious this time. During the phone call, I ask a few times if I was talking to the actual hotel instead of a 3rd party booking site. The person who answered the phone was patient and understanding with my repeated questioning. They also sent an email prior to arrival with links to weather and directions. The lady at the hotel desk was also very friendly - more personable than many front desk staff. Whenever we passed by the desk she would say hello and/or ask us how thing were going. She made a point to ask if I was aware of the current promotional they were running. As a rewards member, it was free for me but I would not have signed up if she had not let me know about it. She also let us know about the complimentary breakfast which I did not know about it. The room was spacious and clean.

We traveled from Houston to San Antonio with our two children. This hotel is very accessible from I10, with ample parking. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, modern and comfy. The a.m. breakfast was very standard, enough to get us full. The pool was small, but the kids were able to burn off some energy.

My biggest problem with the hotel is the soap, in particular the hair conditioner dispenser didn't work properly. Breakfast was very processed and not worth waking up early for. Since it ends at 9:30am, even on weekends. The location is very isolated. It could best be described as industrial although it was more just out in the middle on nowhere. No restaurants, no convenience stores, nothing but edge of town businesses. Still it was close enough to San Antonio for what we needed. Oh, and there isn't much parking. We returned to the hotel after midnight and only found a parking place because someone was leaving. If that wouldn't have happened we would have had to park in a gravel truck parking lot.

I understand that you were less than satisfied that the soap dispensers seemed to not be pumping properly. We would have been happy to send up mini-bottles or check the dispenser. Occasionally the dispenser requires extra pumping. Our breakfast hours are listed from 6:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. which does give the majority of our guests the chance to join us for a Free Hot Breakfast. Although there may be no restaurants or shops directly off the interstate, there are plenty of fast food establishments, restaurants and shops on a main road running parallel to the interstate, the travel time would have been a maximum of five minutes. Our front desk staff would always have been happy to assist you if you needed directions. On the date of your stay we were very limited in parking due to an extremely busy weekend all across the whole of the city. This is not a normal occurrence. Awesome hotel! Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be staying here again. It's in the perfect area for going to Sea World, the River Walk or anything else in San Antonio. I also like the fact that this hotel is not right in the middle of the busy city. It's right on the edge and very quit at night.

I was a little afraid if the area(industrial), but once inside I was totally at ease and happy, best night's rest ever!!!!staff goes above and beyond, hotel is clean and peaceful, easy access to the highway.

Great spot to stop to go downtown and the sights. Tried downtown but hotel rates plus $40 a day parking went to this hotel and easy access to interstate. It appears to be a newer hotel and well kept. The room was spaciuos and breakfast had a good selection. Again this is a great spot to go downtown and very relaxing. Highly recommend

We're from Canada and we stay here again in a heart beat. Love this hotel staff was excellent treated us Ike family 10 says it all. Location was perfect the shuttle and driver were top notch. You won't be disappointed

Located very close to the Convention Center and that worked out very well for me. The rooms are very big, almost as though it would be for an extended stay. Sofas, small kitchenette etc. Do it yourself laundry too. Breakfast was included with the room, but it was not particularly good. The hotel has an old feel to it, but I found the staff pleasant. The absence of a concierge though meant I had to lean on the front desk staff more than I should have. Clean, utilitarian, close to the convention center a bit of a walk to the rest of the city, but doable.

After getting to my room, I was wondering what makes it a BW "Plus". Decor was just ok... Have stayed in some BW Plus location in the area before. Much nicer than this. Road noise was high (my room was on 3rd floor facing I-10. Woke me up a few times.. Staff was great! No problem with them at all.. There was another BW Plus that I have stayed at before in the past that was a little further. Will be going there next time.

We needed a cool, clean room after an outdoor workshop held in the tropical heat of San Antonio. This hotel was a welcome oasis, with very comfortable accommodations for a reasonable price! The breakfast was a good mix of hot and cold, fresh items. Marvelous!

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and quiet. The beds are extremely comfortable. They had a great variaty at breakfast. The location is convenient to anything along that stretch of I-10, although nothing much right around the hotel.

Very friendly staff Took me in to see the rooms available with handicap bath No one has ever let me see room before we checked in before. We had to back rack off the Anderson loop a bit but worth it. The staff gave us a map showing where we could get a good dinner

My husband and I only stayed here one night, but it was a great experience. The hotel staff were friendly, it was not too far of a drive from the riverwalk, and the breakfast was great in the morning. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed one. Night the hotel was super clean the room was clean and nice the bed slept so good we didn't want to get up ! I can't say enough about the staff night shift and the day shift were excellent the dayshift worker held the breakfast out for us cause we were running late getting down to breakfast and the breakfast was amazing best breakfast I have had at hotel and did I mention the price was excellent too 5 stars all the way !

Crack heads walking around it's like a truck stop hotel ...heater doesn't work well I was cold the whole time when reported they just told me to use thermostat on wall room still didn't get warm I was very uncomfortable

Well maintained hotel, great staff, the bed was probably the most comfortable bed I have ever had in a hotel. Even better than the few resorts I have stayed at. Breakfast was pretty standard for most best westerns, but they kept everything well stocked or refilled.

We stayed here during a one-week road trip in Texas. The hotel was very new and very clean. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast was great - and included eggs, sausage, and fresh fruit. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Stopped here because downtown San Antonio was booked but I should have driven further down the road. Location poor & eateries crappy! Every single restaurant was fast food & I hate those places! The good thing was it is right off the highway!

The hotel is located in a truckers area of San Antonio, therefore the hotel catered to truckers. I think that's great, just not where I wanted to stay. I would not recommend this location for families, or anyone just traveling to San Antonio.

Very nice friendly staff. Clean environment , location is good for travel downtown and nearby Randolph AFB. We attended the Christmas River Walk Light show parade the seating for the paid seats were crowded and dangerously close to the edge of the river

Check in was easy, door was broken in first room but we were quickly moved to another. Fitness centre was better equiped than most and pool area look good for a hot day. Parking was also plentiful. Room was well appointed with comfortable beds. These beds were a little soft but some people seem to like this. Breakfast was ok with all the usual stuff. Dinning room small so get in early if you want a seat!.

Clean but needing updates. We booked this hotel based on reviews from Hotels.com. However, when we enter the lobby we were disappointed that it was small, the furniture needed updating. It was just sort of dingy and dark. The room had a strange smell, and the carpets were in need of a good shampooing. The beds were comfortable. The room was Clean. The bathroom had soap dispensers in the shower and above the sink. They did not work. The hotel was quiet. The staff was super friendly. The breakfast was good, but the breakfast room where it was served, it was very small. We felt rushed so that other people could sit at a table. With some modification and updates, and a larger breakfast area., This could be a nice hotel. However, next time we will stay at Newer hotel for the same price.

The staff was more than helpful in accommodating my requests. Room was nice, property was well managed, staff was very nice. The property has video camera security which was a releif because we were moving and puliing a boat that was uncovered. I didn't want to worry all night. Overall pleasant stay.

I was satisfied with the hotel over all. They had friendly staff at the front desk. The rooms were average with comfy beds. One thing I enjoyed was all the TV stations they had to offer. I watch VH1! I would of stayed a few more nights if their rates were a bit more reasonable.

This hotel is on the outskirts of San Antonio it was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was good and filling. Bed was comfortable and pillows were ok. All in all it filled the purpose for a stay when you have to work.

My wife and I made a group reservation here for our wedding, and we could not have been happier. Everything was clean, and the staff was very kind and eager to help with any issues during our stay. The night of our wedding, we came back to a very nice surprise in our room! The staff had laid rose petals throughout the room and even had a bottle of champagne chilled on the table. It was a very nice surprise for our wedding night! Definitely recommend!

The physical condition of the building is OK, but the customer service is super. They are humble and honest!!! The front desk staff gave us excellent service as well as Rosita in the kitchen and the cleaning staff. We left a disney toy when we left. They called me that we left it there, and they took the time to keep it and wait for us to pick it up. Thank you Way to go!!!! 5 stars.

We only spent one night at this hotel as we were driving through Texas, but we were pleasantly surprised by how terrific the customer service and front desk personnel treated us. It was definitely the best we've been treated at a hotel in a very, very long time (and that includes visits to 5 star hotels). Additionally, the room was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable.

Got a wake up call at 7:45am from staff power washing the side of the building. I thought it was the cleaning staff, nope. They are under construction or remodeling on the opposite side of the entrance to the hotel. The beds & pillows were not comfy, the breakfast was surprising what they had, but I still ate 3 bananas & yogurt. The shower head sucked & shower made weird noises when walking around, unsafe for elderly cause the tub inner lining did move with stepping around in the shower. The staff was nice when checking in @midnight.

This location by far exceeded my families expectations!! Friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean room and great breakfast!! If you are looking for a hotel to stay with your family , this is the one to go to. It's not far from downtown San Antonio. It's close to shopping and food places.

Good for an overnight stay. Staff were very accommodating and even called me when I accidentally booked a smoking queen room instead of a regular room. A little hard to access back to the freeway, unless you drive through the gravel parking lot by the hotel.

Our trip to San Antonio was to attend by brother's memorial service. It was an 1100 mile/18hr trip for us that we made in one day. It was so nice to be greeted by a professional and caring staff. The bed was amazing and the room was very clean. We only stayed for 2 nights and left in the middle of the night to make the long trip home. Once again, we were greeted with professionalism not seen in a lot of hotels these days. They even offered to get us a light breakfast before our departure. I would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here multiple times and the staff is always nice and accommodating. This hotel offers adequate truck parking. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Located only a short drive from San Antonio. Don't forget breakfast. It's actually good here.

Let me begin by saying that this was not the hotel I had originally booked. I was searching for a hotel/motel that offered smoking rooms which is very difficult to find. I booked a room at another chain and when I arrived I knew from the location and the way the hotel looked from the outside I would not be staying there Lucky for me I was able to cancel before 6 pm without having to pay. I then went to the Best Western Plus. We were impressed with how well taken care of it was from the outside and upon entering the lobby and being greeted by the desk clerk we knew this was the hotel for us. We booked the room for 3 nights and the clerk gave us a special of 15% off the first 2 nights. Our room was clean and had all of the amenities you expect. It also had a mini fridge and coffee maker. Since most hotels have just the single cup coffee maker we always take our own full sized machine they had no problem with us using our own. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the air conditioning was cold. Our room was on the 3rd floor and the floor was quiet although it faced the freeway you could not hear the noise from the cars. The staff was friendly and seemed to truly enjoy serving and assisting the guests. I am not a fan of breakfast but my husband loves it and he said the biscuits and gravy were exceptional. I did go to the dining room with him and they had a wide variety of breakfast items from cereal and sweet rolls to eggs, sausage and waffles. This was in the top 3 best hotel experiences I have ever had.

Staff was courteous, lots of varieties for BF, pool is small, beds are comfy. I had a hard time logging into the WIFI great selection of channels. Coffee was great. I don't know what else to type. It says it has to be over 200 characters.

When I saw the rating for this hotel, I expected some fancy, upgraded hotel, but it is NOT. This hotel is a basic, bare-bones hotel that does what they do very well. The furnishings are NOT fancy, at all, but they maintain this facility meticulously. The housekeeping staff are really to be applauded because they do a great job cleaning this place. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've slept in (even some hotels over $300 a night). They spent the money in the right place! It is HOT in San Antonio and their air conditioner works GREAT! The staff, though, is where this place really, really shines. The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful and just went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The only thing potential travelers should know is that this place is kinda in the middle of nowhere. Literally. Not many restaurants or shopping. In fact, it is surrounded by trucking companies, so it is kind of dusty and gravel-ly. But the hotel is a great choice for those on a budget who just need a meticulously clean and comfortable place to sleep. If that's all you need, I would highly recommend. It worked great for me.

I traveled for a living for quite a few years. And I've had an opportunity stay in quite a few of the different hotel chains. The reason I'm giving this a great review, is the staff, the owners are terrific. My room was exceptional. The housekeeper's and everyone associated with this hotel deserves 5 stars. If Ever I need to return I will not hesitate.

One of the quieter best westerns I've stayed in,on the east side of San Antonio,not that far from downtown,front desk very friendly and helpful lot of smiles! Breakfast not crowded as usual and plentiful.

Everything about this hotel was just lovely. Devesh made my reservation. Elaina checked us in. Later that night Maribel helped in getting us a bowl of rice (my nephew's phone got wet at six flags). Excellent customer service from everyone we came into contact with. We stayed in the family suite and couldn't have been happier. I loved the two separate rooms and the living area plus a kitchen. Breakfast was very good. I am so glad I chose this Best Western. This will be my go to hotel when visiting San Antonio. The owners of this hotel have done an amazing job. This hotel is situated right off I-10 West, MM585, San Antonio. The proprietor/manager, Mrs. Patel, was very helpful and pleasant upon checkin. The room was nice and clean. The beds are nice and tall. I love the soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower! Trying to fiddle with the little bottles in the shower is so frustrating. But I love those! Everything was clean. Breakfast was great and checkout was a breeze. The manager also signed me up for the rewards program. If you're planning to be in the area, this is the place to stay.

My hotel of choice when visiting San Antonio, TX, and Randolph Air Force Base 4 times per year. Wonderful, caring staff and very welcoming and attentive. I am having a really nice stay. The staff is extremely friendly & very helpful. Hot breakfast is really good. Pet friendly. They have a shuttle that picks you up from truck dealerships, to airport. Located right by the W10 highway on a way from Houston. We stopped by for a night on our way to San Antonio. It is only 15 minutes drive to the downtown. The room on 3rd floor was clean, spacious. Air condition was working well. Outside was +36 C. Room had microwave and fridge. Breakfast was fine. But breakfast room if small and we had to wait couple of minutes for the free table. Personnel was very pleasant and helpful. As hotel if near the highway it is a bit noisy. But for us it was OK. I attached pictures of the room.

If you're looking for a simple bed to sleep in at an easily accessible location, this is the spot. I was visiting San Antonio for a wedding and most of my family was staying here. It is located conveniently so my family and I never got lost trying to find our way around San Antonio. We had a hard time figuring out the entrance though, because there were a lot of signs for another property that were all along the edge of the Best Western Plus, and there was only one tiny sign showing where the entrance was to the actual hotel. The room was clean, however, I was disappointed with the quality of the bed, which is very important to me while staying at a hotel. The shower was also terrible and the bathroom layout was awkward to navigate. The free breakfast was mediocre, but since it was free, I didn't mind. The key card access was broken on the pool so we had to reach over and open it from the inside, which seems unsafe to me. The internet was also constantly disconnecting from any of mine or my family's devices, so we had a hard time when we had some work to get done. The staff however were very kind. One of the front desk agents were training, so the check in and check out processes were slow since the other agent was taking her time to show the trainee, but we didn't mind at all. They were very kind the entire time, and even made us our waffles one of the mornings. Overall, I would return because the staff was nice and the location was easy to find for someone out of town like myself, but I wasn't totally pleased with the room. If I was offered a discount beyond my AAA rate, I would stay, but not at the regular rates.

I can not say enough about the staff at this hotel. Caring, informative on the local area. Probably the nicest staff I have encountered in awhile. Highly recommend if you are looking for a pleasurable staff with your stay. The location is far from the downtown, but a 15 minute drive will have you at the river walk, so I would say a cheap cab/ uber/ lyft ride away.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Entire hotel was clean as was the room. Room was nicely furnished, well maintained, and had ample storage. Free breakfast hotels usually have a not great but adequate buffet, but not here. Needs improvement. Otherwise a great stay and a great hotel, worth the $$. Bed was comfortable but not firm enough for me in all areas, maybe worn?

Best Western Plus East San Antonio has a convenient location right off I-10 with ample parking, which was convenient for me driving a 20ft U-HAUL. It is pet-friendly, clean, and has friendly and helpful staff! Great value!

I have been using this hotel for our family reunion for at least 4 years. They have maintained it very well and it looks as good as it did on my 1st stay. The staff is always polite, friendly and makes my stay very comfortable.

A little pricey, but was close to where our family lives. Nice breakfast options, super nice breakfast matron. Quick to fix any problems in room, room very comfortable with comfortable seating options and good iron and hair dryer. Good parking close to hotel. Nice to receive free paper.

I came here with my husband. Everything was okay the jacuzzi was ok breakfast was ok. But the employees here made it impossible for me and my husband enjoy each other. While eating breakfast one of the employees was being very flirty with my husband and I lost my appetite we had to leave the breakfast area it was that bad. We go into our rooms and pack up once we turn the keys into the front desk lady she too gives my husband a very sexual look that was very unbelievable. I was disgusted and ashamed of them so I just grabbed my stuff didn't even take a receipt and left! My husband too was confused by their actions so he promptly followed me out the door.

We stayed two nights whilst visiting the area on a road trip. Super friendly staff at front desk. Went out of their way to help with recommendations for food and activities. Room was standard, cean, tidy and comfortable. The pool area was nice and welcome given the heat. Breakfast was the usual fare, but plenty of variety. I enjoyed the breakfast tacos.

Very nice and clean. Very friendly staff. Our truck broke down and we were forced to stay here and I'm glad we did. only gripe i have is they have dish network for cable service. i hate dish network lol. They have a decent free breakfast with french toast sticks, eggs, sausage, waffle maker (in the shape of texas HAHA), and the usuals, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, etc. They also have a shuttle service if you need to go anywhere somewhat close by. Dish network cable, wifi, and thermostat controlled air conditioning.

Bad. I stayed her as a last resort I should have slept in my truck. The staff was very douchey and thought they were doing me a favor by letting me stay at the hotel, nope I do not recommend. bed horrible and room not clean.

Best western seems to be a pretty safe pick. Got in late, it was right off the freeway. Rooms were nice, good sized and clean. Breakfast was not to bad, typical hotel breakfast. All the staff that we dealt with wee very friendly. Would have liked to stay longer to really enjoy it but bad to get back on the road.

Very nice and clean hotel. The room was large and comfortable. There were a lot of people staying there, but it was not noisy, room was quite. Breakfast was more than adequate. Nothing really close to eat, but not all that far if you avoid the 5 oclock rush. Staff was very nice and friendly.

Traveled to San Antonio Texas area for visit to Randolph AFB. Hotel property is located off I-10 and not too far from the base. Restaurants and shopping is within 12-15 minute drive. Gas station is seconds away. Easy off & on the interstate. Nice room. Everything worked. Bed was not new but not too old. Was comfortable as was the chair & ottoman in the room. Internet was fast and reliable. Hot breakfast was above average. Staff at front desk were polite and courteous. Very nice stay. Will use this hotel every time I visit San Antonio which is about every 3 months.

We were disappointed in our stay. We stayed at this location previously and were impressed enough to come back. Sad to say it will be our last time staying there. Mold on the shower product dispensers, packed with people and the price was insane for the room we had.

The staff was super friendly and helpful from arrival to departure. Our room was spacious and comfortable. With one queen bed we had plenty of room to stretch out. Happy to have a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Clean quiet room. Breakfast was great- especially loved the fresh berries, that is a rarity at most motels. Very short drive to Alamodome-15 minutes so location is fine.

Our room was very nice and clean. Bed was comfortable as were the pillows. Best part was the staff. They were very friendly, helpful, and courteous even those who cleaned the rooms went out of their way to greet us every morning as we left. The breakfast was standard fare and was good for what you got. We even let our grandkids take to the pool which was too cold for me but they enjoyed it. Overall we will stay here again. The only downside is that it is very close to I10 which means traffic noise but I wear ear plugs so it didn't bother me.

Typical Best Western. Looks to be a fairly new property. Easy access if traveling west toward San Antonio, but can be difficult if traveling east during peak periods. Clean, spacious rooms. Friendly desk staff. Good breakfast with eggs, sausage, waffles etc. Try Baysides Seafood in Converse, less than 10 minute drive.

I was greeted with a pleasant, sweet aroma (vanilla almond, I think) as soon as I opened the door to my room and each time thereafter. Clean sheets, clean & folded towels, clean floors and a very clean restroom. They even allowed me an extra hour or so after checkout time expired to shower and change clothes (I ran a half marathon and traffic caused me to run late getting back to the hotel)! As I was leaving my room for checkout, I bumped into the housekeeping staff and one of them said to me, "Hi Mr. Lopez! I hope you enjoyed your run downtown!" I was blown away that the staff was informed of that and acknowledged it! It was a very sweet gesture. The reception staff showed genuine interest in me and even took a picture of me and my medal and boasted about my achievement on their Facebook page! :) The only thing is that the hot tub wasn't hot enough (it was clean and the jets worked, but the heating element may need changing). Aside from that, this hotel is GREAT and it's a 15-20 minute drive away from downtown San Antonio. Avani Patel and Company made sure I was well taken care of and I had an awesome lodging experience.

The staff at this location was exceptionally friendly and helpful. We never would have found the place but the gentleman at the front called and made sure we were all set to get there. He was there when we arrived at the hotel and his demeanor never wavered. He was polite and helpful making the experience a pleasant one.

The staff really went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible during a very rough time for me. I was there doing work on my house which had been destroyed. The room was super clean, all staff was friendly and helpful even bringing extra towels when I asked and I didn't have to wait for them forever like I have other places I have stayed! A+++ Rating

Helped so much with everything getting checked in, maps, kid friendly(4 kids), clean rooms, breakfast was hot and fresh, very friendly staff from front desk to house keeping, I will be back for sure. Swimming pool was nice having hot tub next to it. My kids were so happy to go back after a trip to the zoo..

We overall enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were spacious if a bit outdated but it was not really a concern for us. The beds were comfortable. We value cleanliness and customer service above everything. Cleanliness was acceptable and customer service was extraordinary. The general manager, Rupesh Patel, was absolutely wonderful and his staff were all excellent as well. For this reason, we will recommend this hotel when in the area.

This hotel is great! I recommend it to anyone in the area. It is near the military base and a great spot right off of the tollway if you are going South or North. The management is great and so is all of the personnel.

We arrived late after a dance competition and the front desk staff was amazing! They greeted us like old friends, giving us all the information we needed, answering our questions and even asking about how the competition went. The room was very clean and comfortable and the beds felt amazing. The free hot breakfast exceeded our expectations by far. And the manager even checked on us at breakfast to make sure our stay was going well. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to family and friends staying in San Antonio.

Stayed here for 4 nights while my truck was getting repaired. Arrived around 9am and began check in, but had to wait on a room briefly (I didn't have reservations). I was offered breakfast and to make myself at home while I waited. This was greatly appreciated! Didn't take long to get my key and into room. Room was single King bed with big screen tv, microwave and fridge. Everything was great. Breakfast staff, housekeeping, front desk, even maintenance were all very friendly and made me feel welcomed. Front desk was a great help when I needed to extend my stay 2 times (it was a busy week for them with a rodeo in town). This was the best customer service I have experienced at a hotel and highly recommend this location. They even have truck parking!!

We stayed 2 nights on our 2 week vacation to spend one whole day at and around the Alamo. The rooms are very comfortable and they do have a hot tub but in the winter months they save money by not heating it 24/7. You just need to let the desk know about 30 to 40 minutes prior to you want to use it. It isn't a big deal with me. I would recommend this location any time you pass this area since it is very easy access to I-10 and only minutes from downtown.

Called ahead to make sure room was available, wanted to get out of San Antonio to avoid the morning rush. Spacious, clean room. Comfortable seating, large TV. In room refrigerator and microwave as promised. Beware you are on the edge of town, industrial area, isolated. Hotel used by truckers as layover. Were given directions and map for food service 4-5 miles away. But driving in the dark, through a residential area proved to be very confusing [we don't have GPS]. So returned to nearby gas station for "Churches Chicken" Husband fell off the toilet seat as it was loose. When we brought it to the attention of the front desk the next morning, maintenance was there in five minutes to fix it.

We are moving here and searched high and low for a hotel that was in a safe place, affordable, had last minute availability and would accept 3 medium-sized dogs When we spoke to the front desk to make a booking they were extremely nice and accommodating. They put us on the first floor near the side exit which was perfect, that way we could easily take out girls out to potty. The room was big enough to fit the 5 of us and everything we packed in our pick up truck and we still have room to move around. The bathrooms are a good size, lots of hot water and great water pressure. Our room has a microwave and mini fridge which is great for a long stay. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and/or recommend it to my friends and family.

After returning from a disappointing cruise thru the Carribean, we visited the space center and then headed to San Antonio. We stopped here with plans to visit the San Jose mission and the Alamo the following day. The owners welcomed us with open arms. Unlike the surly cruise staff. The room was clean, luxury towels, comfy bed and plenty of outlets. We had just spent a week in a moldy, tissue paper thin toweled cruise. They had great recommendations for dinner. The next morning we signed up for another night. We were given detailed maps and recommendations for our day! Thank you for treating us like royalty!

This hotel is right off the highway with easy on/off access to highway and many restaurants are only a short drive a way. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was delicious with Texas shaped waffles!

The hotel was super clean. Pet friendly! (Worth a small fee) Great hot breakfast!-Wales, sausage, eggs, etc. Friendly staff! Would totally stay here over and over! Also have discount for AARP and military!

I stay at this hotel at least once a month during my travels to work in south Texas. It is in a great location and has an awesome staff who are always eager to help. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the San Antonio area for business or pleasure.

I have never stayed at a hotel where the staff could not have been more helpful! Every day we were there, they helped us decide what would be a good thing to see or do, or a nice place to eat. In the mornings, the staff that put the breakfast out were so on top of things. I don't think I ever saw anything "run out", even when time to start shutting down for the morning. The lady came around to the tables to make sure there was nothing we needed. Just the sweetest people all the way around. The hotel was clean, rooms large and would recommend it every time. Parking was so easy and so easy to get to. They told us if we wanted to go somewhere and didn't know where it was, they would even print a map for us. We had GPS, so wasn't a problem, but that is how helpful they were.

The most interesting feature to me was the double windows, presumably for noise reduction. Not double-pane, but two separate window assemblies with a 6-8 inch dead space between them. The room was quiet. Operable windows for fresh air. The staff was very friendly. The room had two overhead lights, which I appreciated. I hate dim hotel rooms and having to turn on all the lamps to get a decent level of light. The room had plenty of electrical outlets. A duplex outlet in the wall at desk level and in the base of the desk lamp. There was also an outlet near the bed. The pillows were nice and soft the bed had a good pillow-top mattress. I appreciated the swivel support for the TV. Even though it was a big (~40"?) TV, I was able to swivel it to face the desk. A single switch controlled the bathroom light and exhaust fan. The fan is NOT quiet, so I would have appreciated a separate switch. As best I recall, the mini fridge did not have a freezer compartment, so I wasn't able to refreeze cold packs.

Our semi was broke down. We were here a week. The ladies at the front desk were all nice and pleasant. Great truck parkin. They hv smoking on the 3rd floor. When you get off the elevator, it is not all smoking. They keep rooms and hotel clean. Hv plenty of channels on tv.a fitness room. Good breakfast. Plenty of things to do around there. We come through here, we will be bac. We recommend this hotel. Rooms were big . shower was nice.

Traveled to the San Antonio area from Houston for business at Randolph AFB. Quality hotel and hotel staff. As Diamond status, was given upgrade to King Suite room. Asked for a "quiet area" and had a room on the far-side away from the freeway so was negligible freeway traffic noise. Hotel was not full, so had no "noise" from neighbors. ( I have in the past suggested to the hotel properties I have stayed with that they adopt an OFFICIAL POLICY I like to call "NO NEIGHBORS POLICY". That is, whenever at all possible, during slow seasons, etc., DO NOT rent rooms adjacent to each other so that there is an empty room on either side of the one you are renting. Don't you just hate it when folks check-in around midnight or come back from partying at 2:30 AM and they are slamming around, flushing toilets, talking loud, and banging around getting settled-in? And the obligatory grunts and moans on the other side of your wall?) Best location for my travels to San Antonio. Restaurants are a couple miles away, Gas station is close-by also.

I advise with your next booking, that you request a quiet location preferably with no adjacent doors or neighbors. We definitely understand that noise level from nearby rooms may be annoying. We booked a non-smoking room here. When we arrived there was a sign on the front door that stated "This is a non-smoking establishment." We were assigned a room on the 3rd floor. When the elevator door opened, the cigarette smoke was thick and a huge smokers' trash can greeted us. The halls were full of the smell of cigarettes. Within a short time, my throat was burning. I walked down the stairs to avoid waiting on the elevator in the heavy cigarette smoke. I came back up the 3 flights of stairs, and when I opened that door, I knew I could not stay there. The manager DID move us to the first floor, and the manager stated that the sign which is by the Ordinance of San Antonio that the law means that they only have to have non-smoking in their lobby. I have not checked on this yet. We were moved to the first floor. We did not smell smoke there, but the fan in the bathroom made a noise like a airplane taking off. We could not stand to turn it on. Obviously others had had a problem with the fan because the ceiling paint was all peeled off around it, and it was not inserted in a straight manner. When I got in the shower, the soap holder was covered in heavy soap scum and there were bits of leftover soap in the holder. When I crawled into the bed, I thought some sand was in the bed, but it was just the pilling of the sheets.............little bumps all over the bottom sheet. The next morning, I went to heat a cup of water in the microwave, and it made as much racket and the exhaust/heater fan in the bathroom. After placing a bucket of ice upon the top of the microwave, one could use it. I was not planning to write all of this on Tripadvisor until we went to leave. The woman clerk who checked us in, just had to comment. She stated that the NEXT time we stayed there (there won't be a next time!) that we should tell them in advance that we do not want to be on a smoking floor. In other words, it was MY fault that I booked a non-smoking room and couldn't stay in it because of all of the smoke filtering in from under the door. We had a very unpleasant experience at this hotel!

As soon as any guest requests to be away from a particular area, we try to accommodate where available, that is why we moved you immediately to the first floor, as your well-being is important to us. It was mentioned to you whilst here, we do have ten designated smoking rooms that are located on the third floor on one end of the hallway, on a completely separate ventilation system. We do not have indoor trash cans for smokers. San Antonio City Ordinance for Smoke-Free areas covers public areas, and in a hotel, it allows for designated smoking rooms. I am glad that we were able to accommodate you to a different room on the first floor which is a fully non-smoking floor. Our maintenance team is working on the microwave and the ceiling fan in the bathroom. We have also fed back to the housekeeping during our meeting about the soap dispensers and sheets to ensure this does not happen again. We welcome our guests to call the front desk immediately if an issue arises so that we have the opportunity to resolve it straight away. Although you said you would not be returning, we do welcome you back should you like to give us another try for a much better experience, as we believe in delivering the best! Have a great day.

The staff at this location has been extremely helpful both of my stays. It was because of the impressive service on the 1st stay that I decided to come the 2nd time. They always assist with directions & very knowledgable about local restaurants and venues.

I was very impressed with the staff at the hotel as well as cleanliness. The breakfast was quite good and helped make the stay worthwhile. The location is good since it is close to the AT&T center and several very good restaurants. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very good. Very friendly staff. The staff was very helpful with directions and were seemed truly interested in why we were there and asked if we enjoyed our New Year's Eve evening out. We had a three day lay over during Christmas and chose this hotel. From the minute we walked in the door it was wonderful! We were greeted with Merry Christmas and smiles. Every staff member at every level was incredible. We were 15 minutes late to breakfast Christmas morning and the lady offered to prepare anything we wanted, take our time, etc. The breakfast is unbelievable. Texas shaped waffles, sausage links and patties, scrambled eggs, hash browns, French toast sticks, breakfast tacos, biscuits, gravy, apples, bananas, oatmeal, toast, dry cereals, bagels, muffins, Danish, 4 fruit juice choices, yogurt, milk, coffee. We lovedi the coffee which was available all the time in the lobby too. Ms. Elena offered local information and visited with every guest, made us feel like family. The manager and his wife were warm and welcoming. The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfy bed and pillows. We used the laundry which was reasonably priced and convenient. We were in a tractor trailer and they have a big lot for big trucks to park. They offer a shuttle for a small fee but we didn't use it. Anytime we are in the area we plan to stay again. Wonderful experience! Staff was warm, professional and accommodating. More like new found friends than staff. Rooms were very clean, modern and spacious. We were there for six nights and I never had a bad night's rest. Beds were sooo- comfortable. You would be hard pressed to find a better breakfast anywhere. And it was included every day!The hotel was located 71/2 miles beyond my daughter's apartment but with those San Antonio highways, we were never far away from where we needed to be. I would not hesitate to book here again. As a matter of fact, you can count on it.

Great stay, comfortable room with all we asked for. I have challenging diet but was able to have a nice breakfast, breakfast staff outstanding. Internet always worked. Friendly staff. If you are in this side of San Antonio it is the best place to stay. We will choose to stay there for years to come.

with the exception of the "service charge" on my credit card, I will always us this hotel because of the convenient truck parking. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The staff is always friendly and they have a great breakfast selection.

This is our second stay at this hotel, as it is the closest to family that leaves near by. We have been very happy with each of our stays. The rooms are clean, the hotel staff is very friendly, and has a great breakfast. The hotel is located directly off Interstate I-10 with easy on and off.

Excellent hotel with very friendly staff. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. Breakfast had a good variety. Lobby presented hotel very nice. Easy access to almost anywhere in San Antonio. Restaurants are nearby.

We stayed at this hotel our last night in San Antonio to be closer to an event we were going to the next day. The claimed to be a "plus" hotel but not quite sure why. The hotel seemed old, way away from everything, staff were ok, room average, the breakfast not much to brag about. Overall, would probably try to find a bit better hotel next time.

Stayed here for over one week. Staff is well mannered and very friendly. Rooms are spacious and luxurious. Room includes microwave and fridge. Large flat screen tvs with 100's of channels. Anyone who has something negative to say about this hotel is sadly lying. One of the best hotels ive stayed at for less than $90 a night. I truly do not have a complaint that I can think of. They even have a shuttle that will take you to convience store or grocery store for no charge. I will stay here anytime im in the area a need a hotel. Truly a very nice place. Ryan.R

The general cleanliness of the hotel was not good. Also, the items offered for breakfast were of questionable quality. The coffee was very weak. The staff, however, was very nice and pleasant. Also there are soap dispensers mounted on the walls in the bath and shower. Something I wouldn't expect to see for a hotel in this price range.

Thank you for your review. It is good to hear that you had a friendly experience with the staff. I am sorry that you found issues with the hotel cleanliness. Cleanliness and guest service are two of our main priorities and staff are usually very attentive. I know we have had some muddy days recently, and all staff have been checking and cleaning the public areas even more regularly. The coffee we have is 100% Colombian Traditional Roast. I am sorry if it was not your preference. The soap dispensers had recently been installed to help with our “Green Initiative” in reducing waste and also being able to provide liquid soap / body wash instead of soap bars. I hope you will come back so we can show you a better experience.

We stayed a night in a King Suite with Jacuzzi and it was just what I wanted. Room was very clean, new, and had all the smaller amenities I expect (fridge, coffee maker, plenty of towels). Best Western always puts on a good breakfast that includes some protein to go with all the sweets. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

This location and staff were great!! There was not a need that went unanswered!! This particular trip, I was with a large group & there were no complaints. Our entire group of adults & teens felt secure at this property. The rooms were clean & well maintained. The staff was helpful in every way. The breakfast was great as well. The desk clerk was friendly and very helpful when checking in as well as helping us find local eateries. The room was clean and comfortable, we checked out before breakfast, but it seemed to be a typical continental breakfast. Though we only stayed one night since we were just passing through San Antonio, I would definitely recommend it as a safe, clean, and friendly place to stay.

This motel from the quality of their rooms, to the excellent and friendly staff, and to know the security cameras constantly monitoring the parking lot and hallways.. make this a great buy. We will return on next time to the San Antonio area.

This was a great place to stay. Room was clean and the Staff was exceptionally nice.. Breakfast buffet had a great variety of foods eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles, etc.. The only negative was the preformed eggs. The rest of the breakfast was great including the biscuits and gravy. Would not hesitate to stay here again....

Easily accessible location. Price was very reasonable. Service was excellent. For our purposes, this was the best possible centrally located facility that met all our expectations and personal requirements. Facility well-maintained &, clean with really friendly staff. Will definitely stay again on future trips to the San Antonio area.

Incredible value. Comparable to a hotel that cost 2 or 3 times as much. Here are the pluses.....TV was a true HD widescreen. Bed very comfortable. The digital temperature control was on the wall, not on the unit. Very clean.Room smelled fresh. Very impressed all the way around. Very friendly staff. Free parking. The only thing I would do differently would be to stay on the back side of the building to cut down on the highway noise. I would choose this hotel again without even looking elsewhere.

we were very satisfied with all aspects of our stay, when we return to this area, we will definitely return to this Best Western. the staff were always pleasant, helpful, and concerned. we cannot say enough good things about this facility.

Great hotel, very clean, very friendly staff and easy to access from freeway. We stayed overnight for a competition at Wagner high school, it was very close to the school and didn't even have to get on the freeway. The room was very spacious and clean.

Front desk (Judith) was fantastic. Very helpful with everything from sightseeing to best places to eat. This property is about 10 miles east of downtown, and about half the price of downtown properties. Rooms very clean and comfortable. I had 104, a single king. Lots of room, large TV great bed and pillow. Just can't say enough about the service.

I showed up on a whim with a truck breakdown. The lady at front desk, Elena, was the friendliest and most helpful. Got me checked in and told me of an excellent shop to take my truck to. They offer a good cdl rate for drivers and have plenty of over size parking. The rooms are very clean and motel is in immaculate condition overall. I would and will recommend friends and fellow truck drivers.

This hotel has clean rooms, great beds, a breakfast buffet with a large variety of meats, eggs, potato's and wraps. Fresh fruit including strawberries and blueberries. A very friendly staff willing to assist and explain the local attractions.

Front desk clerk was rude to my family and then would call me in my hotel room and talk about things she had no business talking about. The company chose this hotel and paid for it. So, I had tolerate her. Elena was someone that I would not like to deal with again.
