Best Western Plus Portland Airport Hotel & Suites

This hotel is clean, quiet, and secure with comfy beds, a nice workout room, and free EV charging!Consistently excellent service and hospitality from the front desk staff. Breakfast is good and includes everything you would expect from a free hotel breakfast. They serve a cold breakfast from 4am-6am every day and hot breakfast starting at 6am. There's an automatic espresso machine in the lobby along with coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and apple cider. One important thing to note: adjoining rooms are not as well insulated so you can hear people talking and even running a bath in the room next to you. This was our experience so we asked if it would be at all possible to move to a non-adjoining room. Diego at the front desk was able to accommodate our request which made a huge difference. We were so grateful! Considering the proximity to the airport, airplane noise was not an issue at all!

Great shuttle driver; knew where he was going, friendly and respectful. Comfortable room, bed and the pillows were the best! They have a wonderful breakfast lay out! Nice variety of food items and to go too!

Quiet, secure, great value, breakfast starting at 4AM, convenient to the airport, long term parking available with free shuttle to PDX. Convenient to Cascade Station and IKEA. Convenient to I5. Downtown Portland about 15 minutes away. Great for coming/going.

We stayed here and left our car for fee as we were flying out of PDX. The parking lot was safe and our car was fine upon our return. Shuttle runs as early at 4 am but sadly when our flight was delayed they end the shuttle at 11 pm so we had to pay for a $20+ taxi ride for the 1 mile drive when our flight arrived after midnight. Altho someone was at the front desk to check us in quickly. The breakfast was available when we left on the early morning shuttle, even tho it was limited we found fruit and yogurt and coffee as well as muffins etc. When we stayed upon our return, we had the larger breakfast and found some good hot options. They have a night little store to buy snack, and drink as well. We found beer and wine options. The main complaint was the fan/light in the bathroom that turned on every time you were in the room. Overall tho, we would stay here again.

This Best Western Plus is one of my goto hotels when I'm flying out of PDX. I usually stay one or two nights before my flights. This hotel is secure, the rooms are always clean and it is minutes from food, gas and the airport. On this visit, I stayed in a first-floor king room. The room was clean, the wifi was easy to connect to and stable. Check-in was seamless and the staff were very friendly. This is an affordable, clean and secure hotel and I've stayed here many times.

Our flight was detoured to Portland from Seattle. Hawaiian Airline was able to set us up with a room here in quick time with no issues. Staff at the front desk were very polite and helpful. The morning shuttle driver was amazing.

Beds were great. Very nice and firm. The whole stay was very nice. Rooms were pretty awesome. I did stay at another best. Western in Newburgh, Oregon and that one was even better I would recommend this hotel to anybody. It was very nice amenities and pretty quiet

Needed to be near the airport for an early morning flight. Check in was easy, as was check out. My room was comfortable, everything in working order. The airport shuttle the next morning was driven by Paris, who easily engaged in conversation with the passengers.

I had booked at a horrid motel, found this one through a sister motel. They held a room, helped me find a meal and got me to the airport early. It's a park and fly and my car was in good hands. And they charged slightly less than the other place in a bad neighborhood.

There is nothing wrong with this Best western.. Rooms were great, breakfast was best ever . location is great, staff was great, Taylar and Peras were outstanding breakfast servers , They alone would make me return . Hard to a better pair of workers anywhere. thanks

This was our first time staying at this hotel. Rodney, front desk clerk, was very helpful answering my questions and has a great sense of himor. The shuttle driver is fun to talk with and leaves for the airport on time - even if people who requested a time are leate. The room is large enough, bed comfortable to the point I did not want to get up so early to get the shuttle to the airport. We did not take the opportunity to have breakfast but the WIFI worked very well. We have no negative issues as all aspects of the hotel met or exceeded our expectations. Restaurants and a convenience store are a short walk away. We have a reservation to return to BW Plus Portland Airport Hotel & Suites in December.

Always happy with the higher end Best Western hotels. I like the beds, the staff, the casual and safe feeling of this hotel, just like the other Best Westerns. They have a great rewards program. I always have good luck with them.

I was traveling alone and needed a place close to the airport for an early morning flight. From arrival to check in the entire staff was helpful and friendly. I felt safe leaving the hotel very early in the morning. The room was very nice, very comfortable.

We chose this hotel because we have had good experiences with Best Western and because it is very close to the Portland Airport and we had an early flight to get to. Front desk service was very good. Room was clean, though they have very thin curtains on the window that road lights shine through quite easily. If you are averse to light, ask for a room that does not face the major roadway. We like to start off our day with a hot cup of coffee. The coffee at this location was very lukewarm, as if it had been sitting in the cannister all evening--there's no way it was fresh at 6:30 a.m. when I first tried it. Overall breakfast was okay with omelet and biscuits + gravy. They also have yogurts, cereal, fruit, etc.

Paris, that worked in the morning hospitality area was AWESOME! Paris went out of her way to ensure that various food areas were refilled; helped travelers with information about other local resources; communicating with our group about our tour; and kept the breakfast section clean. The Portland Best Western Plus Airport hotel was a great choice. It's clean, comfortable and easy to get to from the airport, with their shuttle. The best thing they have going is their amazing, friendly, helpful staff. They will make you feel very welcome. This made the hotel have a great vibe! I also used their park and fly and my car was safe with no problem. They have a nice free breakfast - self serve - included as well! There are also a couple of good restaurants and a convenience store, within a short walking distance. I will definitely stay here again!

We used this hotel as a central location during our vacation. Very close to airport and interstate for travels. Very clean and very friendly staff. Also enjoyed hot breakfast and friendly staff ensuring needs met

Customer service is alive and well at this hotel! Friendly and very helpful staff, clean room, comfy beds, safe hotel! We spent the night to catch a 6 am flight, took the 4 am shuttle to the airport. My grandson left something on the shuttle, we called hotel, who put me in touch with the shuttle driver, who instructed me to meet her in a few minutes at the drop off site. We met the shuttle, retrieved the item and made it to our flight timely. (TSA PRECLEARANCE helped, PDX was crazy busy! A good lesson for all, grandson was concerned we would miss our flight and I explained that's why we get to the airport early to allow time for the occasional unexpected kerfuffle. Thank you, BWPlus, for helping us get to our flight on time!!

We needed a place to stay after we landed in Portland and actually booked this hotel for two nights to use as we explored the area. Upon arrival our room was very warm. The thermostat was set to 65 but we didn't want to assume anything. We showered and got ready for bed and the room had still not cooled off and in fact felt like a sauna. The front desk asked maintenance to come look at it. He told us the room was very hot and there was nothing he could do about it. He walked us to the desk where we were given a new room. Inconvenient, yes but we were thankful. The new room was easily 15 degrees cooler, thank goodness. Went to bed. Had breakfast the next morning (shoutout to the breakfast staff, they were our favorite thing about this location). Came back to hotel in the evening and showered only to discover that the shower doesn't drain. The water filled the tub basin and took probably an hour to drain completely. This hotel clearly needs some love. I can't see how someone wasn't aware of the heating and drain issue and feel as though things are just pushed off hoping that the next guest won't complain.

When choosing a location to stay when flying out of PDX this is a great option for a local to shipping, great food prior to your flight. Very clean and secure. The value for the price was very competitive to other chains. The BW Plus is a wonderful choice.

Clean, updated hotel with friendly staff. We were right by PDX airport and in the jet path of departing planes. Obviously this means it's not always quiet. However we knew this when we booked because our objective was to be close to the airport for a very early flight. The actual hotel itself was a quiet and comfortable environment.

Great location for you to stay when you need to be by an airport. This Best Western has a comfortable atmosphere welcoming lobby... The room was awesome! Quiet. Loved this place! To bad I only stayed the night I'd be game to stay 2 weeks!!

We were in Portland 12/28/22-12/31/22 and this one was close to the airport and other parts of Portland. (Portland is not that big) We enjoy staying at Best Western Plus anywhere we go for the convenience (free breakfast, free parking, etc.) 2 Queen bed room was very spacious with fridge/freezer, microwave, tv, coffee maker. Breakfast was ok. Omelette, sausage, bacon, myo waffle, fruits, toast, juice, coffee, tea, milk, cereal, biscuit & gravy. You need the room key to enter the building. We didn't see any homeless people around and felt safe. Service was good. Everyone was friendly. We got extra towels & lotion sent to our room as soon as we called the front desk.

The hotel was easy to find. All staff members had great customer service. Just minutes from the airport. Room was very spacious, clean, with very comfortable bed. Had the cold portion of the complimentary breakfast. It had a nice assortment of choices. I highly recommend this hotel.

The BW by the Portland airport is convenient to the airport. I did not use their shuttle but, I saw they had one. Breakfast was good and there is a sports bar you can walk to that has a good menu and drinks.

This hotel is claiming to be a non smoking hotel (I only stay at nonsmoking hotels), since I do not smoke, ever! In the morning the bathroom smelled like smoke. We reported that to the front desk who stated it might have traveled through the ductwork from somewhere else over night. A few days later I was charged $300 without notice by the hotel for having smoked in the room. They claim to have evidence in form of a cigarette butt on the bedroom floor. I worked for a hotel management company for many so I know the importance of checking for bed bugs before occupying a room. Which I also did at this property. I would have seen any cigarette butts on the floor when looking for bed bugs. This means that the “evidence” that the property claim to have, was planted… The manager on duty at this property during the time I stayed is running a fraudulent operation.

My daughter and I recently found ourselves stuck in Portland overnight due to bad airport connections. I was very pleased with this hotel. Virtuous helpful staff. The shuttle service was awesome, both ways, in particular, Paris, our driver was fabulous, engaging and very accommodating. The room was spacious, comfy beds, and a very delicious breakfast included in the price. Should I find yourself in Portland near the airport… stay here. It was perfect for what we needed.

The room was very clean and roomy enough. The location is very good if using the Airport. The area seems to be in a clean and safe location which is a big plus. The staff, (I was only able to find a staff member one time) which was at check in was very friendly. Could not find anyone since then. I figure they must have a staffing shortage. I WOULD stay here again.

My room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and AC was blasting cold air (98 degree weekend). I flew in late but I was able to get a wonderful front staff Amborsa to arrange for the BW shuttle to pick me up. The shuttle lady was very friendly and I felt safe. After being dropped off I was able to check in within 5 min. Amborsa was super sweet and super informative. I came back and stayed a second night before flying out. BW had an issue on line were the website said that the rooms were sold out. I was able to call and secure a room by the friendly staff Rita. I am glad I was able to get a room there. I will for sure stay here when I return to PDX

Clean, easy hotel if you're near the airport and on your way in or out. Free EV charger and they monitor it pretty well. Professional, friendly staff. Nothing special about the room or the area, but the traffic isn't bad and it's close to the airport.

Check in was quick and easy. Hotel was ok but surprised at the condition of the room. Really grossed out by the headboards on the beds that were torn with stained foam showing through. Both night stand bulbs were burnt out. Glad we were only here for one night. Breakfast was mediocre. Only good thing would have been waffles but there was no waffle mix.

I chose this hotel as we had a morning flight and wanted a hotel close to the airport. The facility was pleasant and during check-in, I was asked if I wanted to book a seat on their airport shuttle bus (which I did). The bus left at 6:30am (for an 8:30am flight), but breakfast wasn't scheduled to start until 6am. I was pleased that when we arrived at 5:50am everything was set up so that we had time to eat, then catch the shuttle. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet.

This was an excellent property. We were traveling with our two young grandsons. The rooms are lovely. Clean and modern. The staff is very polite and helpful. Ambrosia was a joy to work with upon arrival. They serve coffee all day. Also have a nice snack area. There are also places to eat within walking distance. Easy and close to the airport.

We were spending two separate nights in Portland - Post flight and pre flight home. We had made prior reservations for a King Room. Upon arriving we were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a huge suite! When we went into the room it was warm but the air conditioners were running - one in the living area and one in the bedroom. They were not cooling - we went to the front desk and Ambrosia, came up to the room and made an adjustment to both of the conditioners. We agreed to go to dinner close by at her recommendation and we would see how it was when we returned. Upon arrival back to our room, it was about the same - warm even though the air conditioners were running. We thought it was odd that both were malfunctioning but . . . they were. Ambrosia provided us with a different King Suite (a little smaller which was fine) Everything was wonderful! So refreshing to have a can do sort of Gal to take care of us. We returned two days later and again received a king suite! Great service - breakfast and wonderful property!

Coming into Best Western I was greeted by Tracy and Myra, who was already smiling as I walked to the front desk to check in. I was already comfortable staying at this hotel, mind that I'm here for 3 months for medical travel work. I picked the best hotel that is convenient to stores and restaurants. The rooms were well cleaned and the beds were comfortable. To accommodate my stay, I had a refrigerator and microwave In the room, as wel as shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. Because of all the positive things that happened from checking in to checking out, I can say this hotel is exceptionally comfortable to stay at and if anything don't hesitate to book here! The staff is one of the greatest I've encountered after coming from 3 different hotels near Portland airport. Worth the stay!

Great location when flying out of PDX! Nice and clean, very comfortable rooms. Plenty of room in the King Suite! It's great that the hotel provides a light breakfast for those that have to check out earlier than the normal breakfast times!

We had use Lyft to get back to hotel from airport Saturday nite. Apparently they shuttle on Saturdays so it was an additional cost for us. Breakfast was ok except the brealfast meat was hardly warm as were the eggs. Shudve had the waffles, I guess...otherwise, it was very clean.

First time staying at this hotel, but it will not be our last. Love the fact they are minutes from Portland airport and that they also have shuttle service. The hotel was immensely clean and their staff took the time even for the littlest details such as folding the towels and washcloths in little fans to make it look decorative. And also placing the pillows upright to look decorative. They take the time to make you feel special and every place we went in the hotel was extremely clean. The desk clerk was very welcoming and helpful. We just loved staying here and will stay here everytime we are in Portland.

We stayed at this hotel for a second time before flying out of Portland. The rooms were clean, breakfast good and staff were very kind and helpful. We also used the shuttle service to the airport. The driver was very and we left on time.

The customer service was great and the rooms were clean. However our room looked like it could use a remodel. The headboards looked like they needed replaced. The shower could be updated. Our remote control did not work but the front desk did give us a new one.

I have stayed here many times before. I usually get a king bed room or a king suite. The suite is just a bigger king room with a fancy sofa. This trip we got the 2 room suite. It is like the king suite except it has an added bedroom with a queen bed in that added room. We were supposed to have my parents with us so it was perfect for that.

Our flight arrived from Hawaii at 12:30 am and did not connect out until 8 am the next morning. We ducked into this hotel to get a few hours of sleep and a shower before the connecting flight. We were thrilled to find the hotel store was stocked with wine and frozen dinners. We got a drink, a dinner, a few hours sleep, and a great shower before being delivered by the shuttle back to the airport exactly on time the next morning.

This is just a review of your shuttle driver. We stayed next door but your driver picked us up from the airport when theirs wasn't available. What a great experience in these COVID times! So next time we are flying, we will stay with you.

Needed a place to stay on our trip through Portland. Love staying with Best Western, so the price and location were perfect for this trip. Staff were great, the room was perfect and clean, and the bed and sheets are my favorite. I loved the convenience of shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the shower too! They also smell amazing! Will definitely be staying here again when we travel this direction.

Great hotel. Stayed for one night ahead of early flight. Room was spotless and comfortably furnished. The heater actually warmed the room up quickly! Nice coffee system with more coffee and tea in the lobby. Front desk staff was super friendly and capable, and there were actually luggage carts available at 4AM! Much quieter than hotels even just a few blocks closer to the airport but still just a few minutes' drive to rental car return.

This property is heading downhill. We have stayed here many times, and not happy recently. The arrival staff at the front desk was a zombie & did not even attempt to accommodate our requests, especially considering how often we have been guests! There was a half roll of T.P. and ONE Kleenex in the bathroom. Bar soap would not rinse off our hands, must have been made of wax? No shower gel, and I accidentally washed myself with body lotion! How many folks take a shower w/ their glasses on? The toilet backed up twice. "Breakfast" had two options...stale "bagels" or yogurt. Tasteless. Our room was on the ground floor, looking out at the huge dumpster, which was emptied around 2 A.M.! Hotels are conveniently still using "Covid" as an excuse for poor quality & service!

I stayed here after arriving on a late flight. Staff were friendly, helpful, and available. Even though my flight was coming in late they assured me a driver would pick me up, which he happily did. The room was clean and comfortable and the window even opened (something rare to find these days but I love having in my room). Cold and hot breakfast in the morning was included and I was able to have hot eggs, fruit, and cereal. I have already rebooked this hotel for my retun flight. Especially for the price, can't go wrong!

We stay at Best Western Motels when we travel. They have great facilities and are well maintained. The people are pleasant to work with and the facilities are great. Overall, we have enjoyed our stays with Best Western.

Hotel is very up to date. It is fairly close to the airport. They offer a shuttle to the airport. Beds are comfortable, rooms are comfortable. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Great stay! Clean facility, great accommodating staff. Although breakfast selection is restricted due to an imbecile of a governor the staff does a great job. Will stay here every time I fly in and out of PDX!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and a good size. The bathroom was large and everything accessible. The bed were comfortable. The area is clean and quiet except for the airplanes, but it is close to the airport. Good shopping and restaurants nearby.

I stayed here in September 2021 and it was a great experience! The rooms were clean and spacious, and the hotel staff was so nice. We loved the free breakfast in the morning, and the breakfast room was super cozy with books and a fireplace. They had 24/7 tea and coffee in the lobby which is a perfect way to warm up after a rainy day in Portland! We also loved the free airport shuttle, and all of the drivers were so nice. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Recommend a stay!

We had a one night stay in a king bed room . It was super comfy and the location worked out great. The staff upgraded our room at no charge when the room we reserved was being fitted out with new soap dispensers.

I always say “this is the best Best Western” yet here in Portland Airport Hotel & Suites it truly has been the beat 2 nights my kids and I have had. We didn't want to leave. The room was clean, with everything we needed to feel like home. Greeted with so much love as if we were family. Breakfast was perfect since the pandemic I had forgotten how much I enjoy a real breakfast at a hotel. They served waffles, bagels and coffee. Thank you everyone for making us feel like home especially during our difficult times. Definitely coming back!!!!

Short drive from the airport. Room was clean and spacious. Easy check in with my reservation. I'll stay there again if I travel there again. Close to rental car drop off,shops,and restaurants. Very cooperative staff. Overall very happy with my stay.

TV froze up but they came and fixed it right away. Coffee machine did not work so had to get coffee in the lobby but I reported when I left so I am sure it was replaced. Staff very friendly. Did not have a designated outside smoking area. Most motels do and have a ashtray and a place to sit. Would recommend this so there would not be so many cigarette buds on the ground.

Stayed 3 nights with no room cleaning service, as I had to empty my own trash. No clean towels until I had to ask the front desk. Conditioner, shampoo, body wash was empty in the shower. Did not know the workout room was closed until I arrived however, this was not mentioned on the website. Shuttle to Cascade Center was denied after I made reservations and was told shuttle only ran to the airport. Refrigerator was broken. Never again will I stay at this BW.

My wife and I spent an overnight here, in anticipation of our flight out the next day. This hotel is clean, convenient, provides shuttle service to the airport, and really close to many dining options. Super comfortable bed, spacious room, all the little amenities you'd expect. I want to give a shout out to the young fella at the front desk, Jarrod. Jarrod was cheerful, personable, and very helpful. He arranged for their shuttle to pick me up at the rental car return place, provided me directions to the rental car return, and recommended a good and close restaurant for our dinner. Very good customer service, thank you Jarrod. Highly recommended.

A little further away from airport which reduced airport noise, Hotel is set a little off street which provides a nice break from normal hotels. Parking convenient. Great staff who were helpful. Room meet all our needs. Would stay again when we fly.

Room 225 had a broken toilet seat, got moved to Rm 221 since maintenance went home at 5 pm and there's no after-hours maintenance staff. Found out at 5am the next morning that the bathroom sink didn't hold water so I could shave, the bathroom electrical outlet was loose in the wall when I tried to plug in the hair dryer, the hair dryer power switch was jammed in the On position and wouldn't work when i raised it above my shoulders to dry my hair. I checked out before the manager showed up, was told she would that day - I had to chase her down the day after that. She was very rude and combative and claimed not to know what was wrong with the room, even though I made a full report to the desk clerk and turned in the broken hair dryer. She also claimed maintenance couldn't find anything wrong. This is a franchise and it shows. I called corporate (all the way up to David Kong's personal assistant (Elizabeth) and the best they would do is about a 50% refund. It's obvious that BW and its franchisees don't really care about keeping customers. Last time I'll stay at any BW, and I'll actively not recommend it to anybody.

Three of us were overnighting in Portland and needed to be near the airport. We picked this hotel based on availability and price. We usually stay at a Hilton family hotel, but decided on a BW instead. Definitely impressed with this hotel - check-in was easy and we were provided with a form to choose our to-go breakfast for the next morning. There was a cold and hot option. Surprisingly, the omelet that we heated in the microwave was not bad at all. The room was quiet, clean and the beds comfortable. There was fresh, hot coffee in the lobby even though we were ready to hit the road at 4:30am. Definitely would not hesitate to stay here again.

Positive experience from check-in to check-out. Inviting atmosphere, great customer-service, very clean & modern. Big comfy bed & nice bathroom. I liked the (Covid) process for choosing your breakfast the night before & picking it up at the front in the morning. I loved staying here, wish I could've stayed longer

And the staff is nice and helpful as well. We stay here when we visit a son who works at a brewery nearby (Level Brewing). And I've stayed over the years for the ease of getting in and out of the airport. This last trip we wanted to have dinner with our son and his girlfriend - due to Covid there isn't much option. Fortunately, the staff here said "Sure, we'll turn the lights on" when we brought take out back to the hotel and asked if we could eat in the breakfast area. And for the travelers tired of watching the TV, this place has a BIG selection of books in the breakfast area. Some are pretty esoteric - anyone want to read the textbook for those aspiring to earn their CMP and become be event planner?, but there is a huge variety of otherwise enjoyable books. Another tip for those looking for food Level Brewing offers both beers and food truck meals in their greenhouse, for inside limited dining. And if you are really lucky, the pair of bald eagles in the trees over the Columbia slough will still be there .

Because of widespread power outages, we seeked sheet at this motel. We were so pleased. Everyone from check-in and out were a delight. Food service was great given the covid conditions. Food was great to have in the morning. Location can't be beat...close to the airport and various amenities

Our stay here was ok, I really don't feel like it was worth the price. The pics I saw online is not what I saw on the website, kind of disappointing. The website also had announcements saying the things that were back up and running ad well as closed since covid. But it didn't have the fitness center info updated, I expected to have it be open by appointment, like I did at another best western. But that wasn't the case. Beds and pillows weren't too comfy

The rooms were a bit small, but otherwise very comfortable. The rooms were clean and modern. The bed was comfortable. Internet worked well. Modified Breakfast due to COVID....this hotel allowed you to "pre order" what you wanted for breakfast and they'd have a bag ready for you starting at 4am. Very nice for early flights. They also offer a park, stay, and fly option for an extra $90. Nice option

I have stayed here many times. Recently, the staff has become lax and do not always wear masks, including the manager (sometimes they slip one on just as people enter the lobby). Some guests also do not wear masks, with no apparent repercussion. This is a violation of state law and company policy. The safety of employees and guests apparently is not important to Best Western. I am a Diamond member, but I no longer stay at Best Western. If you care about your safety and the safety of BW employees, you may want to stay elsewhere.

This Best Western was extremely clean and quiet during our stay. They made modifications to accommodate the Covid-19 situation, including breakfast meals. Beds and room were comfortable. Our only concern was that the bath towels were very small, not much larger than a hand towel, and also, even with the bathroom door open all the way and taking a warm shower (not hot), the bathroom fan didn't work well at all. The mirror still steamed up a lot and the room was quite muggy afterward.

Friendly staff. Convenient location. Clean spacious room with lots of outlets. Modified for COVID-19, but nice selection of individually packaged breakfast items. Intentionally chose a hotel with self-parking to avoid the mandatory valet parking.

My husband and I were looking for somewhere close to home for a quick get-away to celebrate out 5 year anniversary in the Portland area. We selected this Best Western and are more than happy that we did. It is clear that this hotel is making guest safety a top priority by requiring facemasks, frequent sanitizing by employees, and hand sanitizing stations in areas around the hotel. The room was SPOTLESS, comfortable, and a great place to enjoy some peace and quiet for our special day. Cheyenne at the front desk was AMAZING and made me feel like she truly cared about helping make our time spent here enjoyable. Give that girl a raise! If we ever take another trip to enjoy Portland, we will only chose to stay here. Thank you to all the staff for working during these difficult times and for putting a smile on my face (even though you couldn't see it under the mask, haha).

The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable enough. The location to the area amenities and the airport was great. However, it was the little things that made the stay less desirable. The shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower didn't work, and we had to ask for more toilet paper, so it seemed that the room had not been serviced well before our arrival. The in room refrigerator was not cold AT ALL and asking for another did no good. The hotel staff was pleasant, but not able to satisfy our complaint except to offer to store something in their hotel refrigerator. This was not very convenient.. On a positive note, the hotel shuttle service to area restaurants and the airport was excellent!

Door locked upon 8:30 pm arrival-- they have to buzz you in- what kind of greeting as front desk has person on duty? They do have a covid breakfast but really sparse. Nothing hot, the food options were dry. The room was ok. The remote barely worked, beds were nice, close to food. Not a $120plus room in my book.

The hotel had some tech issues during my check-in, but the woman at the front desk, Lauri, handled the situation with patience and kept a smile on her face. She was amazing. Overall, the room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. I was impressed the breakfast “grab and go” setup had as many options as it did considering the circumstances. All the items were carefully wrapped or bagged in single portions. The staff did a great job trying to keep the experience as normal as possible with all the necessary health precautions.

Nice, newly remodeled facility. Close to airport and downtown (10 miles) with plenty of parking. Fast food in the area, but everything in the world is 5 minutes away across the Columbia in Vancouver. It was close enough to downtown for our needs without the hectic issues of staying downtown

I had great sleep. The food was wonderful. Close to the airport. Lots of different food locations to eat at. Room was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay at this location again in the future.

Straightforward, good value hotel that is very convenient for those not wishing to rely on a car. The shuttle bus service is very effective, and getting to town via Cascade on the MAX Red Line is easy. I stayed two nights and found the hotel very comfortable and clean. Breakfast is no frills, although I suppose I could have tried the DIY waffle-maker.

We booked this hotel near the Portland Airport (PDX) because I had a free night through the Best Western Rewards program. Hotel is in a great location with easy access to the airport and rental car return. The front desk staff were efficient and friendly. Our king bed room was clean and the air conditioning worked great. The free complimentary breakfast was good. I especially liked the mini-waffle machine and fresh fruit. We would recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel! All you have to do is unpack and relax they staff will do the rest. the breakfast was great and more the enough selctions to choose from. No need to worry if you have forgot something the have almost anything you may need.

I travel a lot and stay at many different hotel and hotel brands, almost all are above average to excellent. Once in a while you have a horrible experience. That happened here. I don't spend time writing reviews unless an excellent or miserable experience needs to be noted. First off, the photos of the rooms on this site are much nicer in the photos than in actuality. This hotel's standards for cleanliness are very low, you notice this as soon as you walk in. After arriving late from a late flight into PDX, I walked into my room and I have to say it smelled D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G. The stench was overwhelming. Upon inspection, food was rotting in the room underneath the sink. How could a cleaning crew or a hotel employee not notice this? It had to be there for days, maybe longer. After alerting front desk, and upon their inspection, they moved me to another room but it was not a simple process. I didn't need the front desk attitude for the gross odor in YOUR hotel. The next room I was assigned had a mold smell coming from the bathroom. There was trash under the bed. It was late, I wanted to go to sleep. Bottom line: There are dozens of hotel choices near PDX airport. Don't pick this one. This place gives Best Western a bad name. Find a hotel that values cleanliness and customer service.

we stayed here so as to catch an early am flight. We live in SW pdx. Was a nice quick stay & got our trip started! Room was a king with all the amenities we needed. Got a bight & took to our room & just chilled. Lobby was nice too. Caught a van of theirs to airport. Large breakfast area & coffee. Used the workout equipment room.

I booked this hotel for our week long tour of Portland because I wanted to stay outside of the busy urban section and didn't want to pay for daily parking. The manager of the hotel was very helpful and a good amount of time showing us the public transportation options that we used every day. The public transportation was very close to the hotel and within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast was hearty. I'm vegan and had a big bowl of oatmeal and fruit every morning while my omnivorous husband chowed down on scrambled eggs and all the fixings (and he was loving it because I don't serve eggs at home). Oh! and there was plant based milk that I used in my coffee! Thank you Best Western! Because my experience was so smooth and enjoyable, I joined Best Western Rewards Club right there on the spot.

We have stayed at this hotel twice now, to attend concerts in Portland. It's always clean, quiet, and a great value. Breakfast is terrific, the staff is absolutely lovely, and always accommodate our special requests. Definitely our "go-to" when we travel to the area.

I have stayed at this BW numerous times when I have a 6am flight out of Portland Airport. This hotel is consistent in it's cleanliness, very well kept rooms and overall condition of amenities is top notch and the price was exceptional. I will definitely use this hotel again. The staff was very helpful and the continental breakfast is set up at 4am which is convenient when you need to have a little something before getting to the airport. Keep up the great customer service!!

I'm becoming a fan of the Best Western chain of independently owned hotels, because my last four stays at various locations around the western US, are showing a uniform quality and attention to detail. This location (which recently was branded as a Holiday Inn Express) was a good choice for one night before a flight out from PDX: good parking, reasonable hot breakfast (which starts at 4 AM as a cold breakfast), nice large room, and a friendly staff. There are plenty of walk-to eateries (plus a legal cannabis store if you want to visit one), sports bar, etc. so once you've arrived you don't need to drive anywhere to get food or beverage. The free shuttle runs almost anytime you need it. The linens, towels, pillows, etc. were very nice as well as a fine shower head. We had a King Room on the first floor that was quite roomy, didn't see other rooms. Sure worth trying this location if you need a night near PDX.

Hotel was very nice and the airport shuttle was a wonderful benefit. The breakfast was really nice with a great variety. The only issue I had was the purchase of some food item from the lobby area. No prices listed and later found out that it's pretty close to $5 for each item. Ask price before you have it charged to your room!!

My wife and I have been diamon select members for over a year. the worker turned us down for a room because my debit card did not have my name on it, it is a new temporary bank card and completelly valid form of payment. NOTHING in writing states this policy just “my manager says i cant”. I drive down the street and book a room at a nicer hotel using the same card with no member status just fine. Completely turned off by this ridiculous “rule” imposed by the manager. How can you not take into account the fact that we are diamon select i mean reaching that level of membership means spending thousands on hotel stays! like a diamon select member is goong to be a risk for non payment or fraud.

Fronst desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable - we needed extra pillows and they were able to accommodate. The breakfast was good - waffles, eggs, sausage and bacon, misc breads and muffins, fruit, etc. They also had an early morning breakfast bag if you had to leave before 6:00 a.m. On Wed. they had an appetizer and wine with hotel management. They do not have actual vending machines but they do have a small snack store for drinks and snacks. Coffee and hot tea available throughout the day. Overall experience was very nice - I would definately stay at this hotel again.

I have just recently started stay at Best Western Plus. And like all the others this particular motel was clean, personnel were friendly. Breakfast served several hot items as well as a make your own waffle. Rooms were large enough to hold two queen beds. Bathroom was on the small side. There were several restaurants near by.

Portland Airport BW Plus: Had a very very enjoyable stay. Clean and well appointed room. From check-in through check-out a pleasant experience. Breakfast was wonderful, very clean and wonderful selection of food for all needs.

Wonderful location. Driving through Bandon Oregon and chose this location for it's proximity to the ocean and cute downtown Bandon. Nice quiet rooms and very clean.lovely grounds and away from main highway.

I would have liked to see fewer children in the pool area. I was looking forward to going swimming, but the whole pool area had the place smothered in screaming children. It looked like the whole pool area was build entirely for children with there slide and other pool toys.

We enjoyed this hotel before flying out of PDX. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. There wasn't really any noise even tho close to the airport. There is a small business center for printing boarding passes. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel. The room was decorated with a clean look and it was a pleasure to spend the evening watching tv after a long day of driving. Appreciated the variety of the hot breakfast. If ever in Portland again, I will pick this hotel

My family and I stayed at this Best Western as it was close to our planned activities. The room was great and spacious. Despite the A/C in the actual bedroom not working properly and getting hot it was still an enjoyable stay.

Everything was great. Friendly helpful employees. Free breakfast was good like many others, but always warm and a good variety to choose from. Clean rooms and looked new. Staff were great. I have stayed at Best Western before, but I have to say this was the best one I've stayed in.

I only stayed one night but it was great. My room was comfortable and so was the bed. Breakfast was available around 4:00am and I was pleased with that because I had an early flight. The location was great and very close to the airport.

If you need a hotel the night before catching an early flight from PDX, this is a great option. The cost is reasonable, they offer shuttle service to the airport, and they provide at least a cold breakfast offering starting at 4 AM. You can drive from the hotel to PDX in less than 5 minutes. The hotel was quiet, bed comfortable, and room clean. Shower was the best of three hotels we stayed in on our trip to Oregon and Washington. I'd definitely use this again if I had to catch a flight out of Portland.

I stayed here last night and it was my first time staying in a hotel by myself so I was a little nervous but it was a great experience. I was a little disappointed that the airport shuttle from the hotel has to be booked one day/night in advance because I wrongly assumed that it was a 24 hour shuttle but it was so convenient to the airport. I was able to drop off my brother for his flight with no problems at all. The hotel was really nice and clean with a 24 hour fitness center and business center. Used the business Center for a little while and it was right by the hotel entrance which made it convenient. I checked in late so the noise from the planes wasn't an issue and actually it was kind of comforting in a way. The staff was really nice and the hotel room was quiet even though it was across from the elevator. I had two beds in my room and one was really uncomfortable. I felt like I was falling off of the mattress, which seemed to be very uneven so I ended up switching to the other one. That bed was much better. Really enjoyed the hot and cold breakfast with bagels, bacon, waffles, juices, cereal, etc. Cold breakfast starts at 4am (wow!) and hot breakfast starts at 6 and they both run till 10. Checkout is at 11 and was really easy. I picked this hotel because it's so close to the airport but I would stay here again regardless.

Great customer service. They have a shuttle that runs to and from the airport and they also picked me up at the car rental return so I didn't have to mess with returning the car early in the morning. The breakfast was typical BW breakfast and was kept stocked as clean. Rooms were clean and nice. Beds were pillow top beds that need to be rotated or replaced. My head and chest seemed to sink and my feet felt elevated.

Great place to stay as we traveled the west coast. Portlands notorious traffic was left behind with this northside location. Several excellent restaurant choices in close proximity that added to an enjoyable stay. Inside decor very nice with what seemed an extra large breakfast area.

My sisters and I stayed the night here for my sisters 21st birthday. The hotel itself is incredibly nice and for the most part the staff seemed nice. Upon arrival to the room we discovered a gallon of water that was half full and left in the fridge(not a big deal). Around 1am we found a used bar of soap in the shower even though none of us had used the shower. We were grossed out, but didn't want to make a stink about it. Finally around 3:30 in the morning I noticed there was urine on the base of the toilet. The bathroom had obviously not been cleaned prior to our arrival. When I brought up the issue to customer service when checking out, they only offered 1,000 rewards points(a roughly $16 value) even though I didn't have a rewards account with them. It takes a minimum of 8,000 points for a free night mind you. Because I paid $130 for the night I contacted the site I booked through for some kind of refund. The manager only approved a $30 refund for inconveniences. I was not expecting a full refund, but seeing as they didn't clean the shower or toilet, I would have expected a bit more than what was given. More than likely would not recommend.

We stayed for one night prior to an early morning flight out of PDX. Convenient location near airport. Staff was friendly & accommodating. The prize of this hotel is the shuttle bus driver. She turned a way too early morning into a completely pleasant experience. She made sure we had brown bag to go breakfast and was so helpful, kind, and cheerful during our ride to the airport. The very best part of our stay for sure!

The hotel is perfect for trips that will start or end in the PDX. Not a resort, but quite comfortable with a polite and effective staff. Have a timely and responsive shuttle to the airport. Overall good value.

Overall an average Best Wedtern., but the breakfast was just so bad. Powdered eggs, and old boiled eggs provided from the self serve fridge. If you stay here just avoid the free breakfast, my son got sick from it too.

Since this was a BW Plus I was a little disappointed. The room was average. I was there 5 nights and all breakfast offerings were the same except for one day when there was sausage instead of bacon. Everyday I had to ask for some item or garbage to be disposed of. Most staff were friendly

The hotel was a little cheaper, but had a good pool, hot tub, the breakfast was out of this world. The hotel staff were so friendly and went out of their way. The rooms were clean, air conditioner worked and liked that we could open up the window. Room was cleaned everyday. Staff was approchable. We used the hot tub and pool which is average size and was nice that adults were allowed to use it after 11pm.

Clean, quiet even though near the airport, ample parking. Easy to find and right near a Dutch Bros coffee. Satisfying breakfast and helpful staff, made more eggs when they were out. Very comfortable beds.

It is only about five minutes from the airport and conveniently located off I205. The lobby is small, but pleasant. The breakfast area is in a room adjacent to the lobby. We stayed twice on one trip. Both rooms were very clean and quiet. One room on the ground floor was handicapped and very spacious. The other on the second floor was a bit smaller, but just fine. The breakfast had a lot of choices , all good. Service was excellent in the hotel.

We loved our stay at the Best Western Plus near the Portland airport! We only wish we could have stayed longer than one night it was so beautiful. We will definitely be staying there again. The rooms were lovely, the staff was very friendly, and the beds were comfortable. Thank you!

Our mistake! We got dropped off by Yellow Cab at this Best Western. Wrong one. Our fault. But when we asked for a shuttle over, they said no. When the Best Western we were booked in just up the .road here at PDX asked them, they again said no. Even the other Best Western desk said they were very disappointed by this Best Western Plus. Could represent other similar responses to other travelers problems.

Reserving the rooms was a relatively simple and effecient process. The folks at the front desk were obviously experienced and knowledgeable, and were very pleasant and polite. The motel internet was easy to access. Our flight left early the nexy morning, so the shuttle service was very valuable and on-time. There was enough variety in the breakfast to keep us happy.

Spent a comfortable night in a one bedroom suite. Hotel/room clean and staff friendly. No problems. They offer a flat rate of $75 to leave your vehicle up to 14 days. Breakfast is fine; typical of hotel breakfast. The hotel is geared to travelers. Enjoyed watching military jets pass over in the morning. There is some air traffic noise since you are at an airport!

Due to "snowpocolypse" in all of western washington in February 2019 we thought it was best to get a room the night before our flight. We had read on TA from other travelers to ask for a room away from the main road. We did so and the room was very quiet and we slept well. The check in staff was very nice and we got our room keys right away. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave and a coffee pot. They offered a shuttle to the airport, however I cannot speak to it because we didn't need it. We would definitely book here again since it was a reasonable rate and service was great.

I would highly recommend this hotel. Clean rooms and nice help. we will be staying here again. I enjoyed being close to the airport and being shuttled back and forth so we did not have to worry about parking.

This was a very clean hotel. In great location. Rooms was very clean. Front deck was very helpful. Everything was great. The only thing was. Our room was close to road and heard a lot of noise. Some guest was up at 4am probably to get to airport. And they let there door slam. And was talking loudly in hallways. Like no one else was in that hotel sleeping. But other than that. Everything was great. I will stay again if in Portland. But I will get a room away from road and front desk. A few places to eat close by. Safe location. Breakfast was good

My husband and I stayed the weekend when we came to visit our daughter. Staff was very nice. Room was large and the hotel was quiet at night, which we appreciated. Would highly recommend this Best Western. Great rate too!

Clean, helpful staff, and very convenient. Will use again when needed. Parking was about 60% of cost for long term airport parking. Shuttle was ready to go at 4:30 a.m., as requested. Rate was quite moderate for so close to the airport.

We needed to be at tge airport at 4am due to government shutdown & slow tsa lines. So choose to stay & start the vaca early! Nice entry, nice desk agent. Coffee & tea 24/7. Breakfast in am but after we leave. Will grab yogurt, fruit, coffee. Worked out to get tired to sleep. Room is tidy, clean, will report on bed comfort tomorrow. $99 plus tax.

I had been to this BW Plus before. Glad to know that the customer service and quality of the rooms were still the same! I stayed in 114 which was away from the street traffic.The guest attendants from the front desk to house keeping were very courteous and friendly.I will continue to stay at this BW Plus!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the airport, restaurants and shuttle service to the airport. Parking is cheaper than PDX economy. The rooms are updated, clean and the king beds are the best! Not rock hard and I have never slept so well in a hotel, far better than the $300 a night. Staff are friendly and helpful. They have cold breakfast before 6am and hot after 6am. I will always stay here when in Portland.

Easy to find. Quick checkin. Quick Check out. Comfortable rooms. Good water pressure on shower. Good breakfast. All employees encountered were very friendly. Even though in flight path of air planes from Portland International Airport, we were not disturbed by the sounds inside the hotel.

We stayed here the night before Thanksgiving for an early flight. They had breakfast items out for us and the driver was ready for us. Check-in was easy,as I was able to do it online. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Our car battery was dead when we returned 11 days later and they helped us get it started

This was our first stay here and we'll be definitley be coming back. Easy access to the airport is great, plus they have a shuttle if needed. We found the staff to be very professional and helpfull. Breakfast was great too!

We stayed here while in town for a concert, only one night. I needed a key left for my son and his girlfriend who would be arriving later than my daughter and I did, AND needed an extra-late checkout, two hours past the standard. The hotel was very gracious in accommodating both requests, as well as allowing us to leave one vehicle in their lot so we didn't have to drive both to the concert venue. Hotel was clean, VERY quiet, and tastefully decorated, relatively speaking, recognizing it IS a commercial space and there are limitations. I found the bed a bit too soft, but all the kids said they were great, LOL!Price was awesome, staff warm and polite.The only bummer is that there is no pool/hot tub!

I have stayed at other Best Western Hotels in Portland and this one was very clean and the staff was very nice upon arrival. The hotel looked clean inside and out and very close to the Portland Airport. I would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was average, but the kitchen staff were very nice.

Had a king room that a friend reserved for us on the way to the coast. Our stay was lovely. We were on the first floor right off the front desk and we had a quiet, restful night. King bed was very soft!

The hotel looks like it was recently renovated and the rooms are nice and clean. It is located near the airport and they provide an shuttle to the airport which operates to midnight. We arrived at 1100 PM so it was very convenient that they were able to shuttle us to the hotel and after we checked in drop us off to a nearby restaurant. The customer service we received at the front desk was outstanding and I would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

We couldn't be happier with our stay. The hotel was down the road from the airport and ended up being the perfect location for us. We were 25 minutes away from the scenic side of town with nature and waterfalls and 25 minutes away from downtown. We were able to explore both sides of town thanks to the central location of this hotel.

The hotel appeared to have been recently updated so everything looked brand new. We had a nice size room. The bathroom was a little roomier and bigger than what we normally see in the Best Westerns. The bed was one of the more comfortable hotel beds I have slept in lately. The place was very quiet. The location is handy right off of I-205 and a short distance from the airport. I would have given it 5 stars except for two things. This particular Best Western is more expensive than the others in the area. I didn't see anything that made it worth the extra money. The breakfast was nice but just standard Best Western offering. For the extra money I had hoped they would have had a few extra things on the menu. From this Best Western we went to Lincoln City and stayed in a Best Western right on the beach in a suite for less money. The hotel in Lincoln City had biscuits and gravy and offered two types of eggs at every breakfast. For the extra money charged, this Best Western could have benefitted. We will stay here again in the future, but only if the Pony Soldier Inn Best Western is full.

Serious housekeeping and staff issues at the lovely, newly renovated hotel. No one was at the desk upon arrival. Room given was unmade. Next one was dirty. Food service well below other Best Westerns.

Employees went above and beyond to provide little touches that made the stay more pleasant.Boarding passes, bag tags printed. Shuttle service made rental car return easier, and navigating seamless. Made the stay better.

I travel for a living. I literally live in hotels, 7 days a week in all 50 states. I never write reviews. I don't need luxury but cleanliness and being up to date is key to me. I was very impressed with this hotel. Super clean. It felt new. All the little things matter like a smooth up to date key card system and a quiet,efficient air conditioner, and CLEANLINESS! Very nice. 5 stars for the price. I would like to shake the managers hand.

My family and I stayed for one night at the Best Western Plus, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The bright light proved to be Brienne at the front desk. Working long hours at a hotel desk may not be everyone's cup of tea, but Brienne sure brings the charm and a hospitality. She greeted us late at night with a big smile and good cheer. She deserves lots of credit for making us feel at home and comfortable. The room was just what we needed, and we enjoyed the breakfast in the morning, which featured lots of options for the adults and our picky child. We'll be back!

We stayed in this hotel after having an issue with our rental car. We were stranded at the airport with no transportation in the middle of the night, and the hotel had a room at a reasonable rate. The property is beautiful and modern, and the breakfast was delicious!

This seems to be a newly renovated hotels, which was previously a HIExp. It is very neat and clean, and well staffed with friendly folks, who seem to be glad they have their positions. Our bed was the best of the trip, firm. Only negative is the absurd bathroom light fixture/system, which shines all night and turns on the overhead lightening if you enter the room in the dark. :(

Everything seemed very newly renovated. All staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was nice, bed was great. Bathroom light switch is absurd: Half is always on, so made sleeping difficult and other half turned on over head lights upon entry, even during the more of the night.

The hotel is clean with one of the biggest bathrooms i have seen in a room. It was quiet and the beds nice. The staff is fantastic. The breakfast was very tasty and the area was kept clean with the food plentiful and hot.

Arrived earlier than expected and was given a room without delay. Staff was friendly & professional. No problems with the internet. Overall appearance of hotel was well kept. Room was clean and the bed was soft.

Nice hotel, very clean. The staff was lovely- one young lady, when we were checking in, asked about our travels, and seemed very interested- she wasn't asking out of politeness alone. A young man at the desk the next morning helped me out with my FitBit (the straps were breaking), too.

Last minute, i needed a comfortable hotel/motel room for two nights. Knew I'd have to be able to work there (I create content for a website) and be able to get some rest. Have relied on Best Western in the past, and they did not let me down. This newly renovated facility, close to the airport and yet so easy to get to, gave me all I needed, including my own compact kitchen area plus an evening buffet downstairs. Lovely layout including a separate bedroom, a great work table/desk and a well-lit lounge area with sofa at a remarkably affordable rate. Got my work done, took care of some other chores, slept great, and all in air-conditioned splendor. Wonderful housecleaning staff, and great staff overall. I would heartily recommend this place to anyone.

It is a wonderful hotel in a great location only 10 minutes away from the airport and very close to the main highways. The hotel is in perfect shape and the staff is wonderful very courteous and helpful Kevin at the front desk help us to get anywhere we needed to go Thank you guys

We had a family room and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The entire hotel was very well taken care of and the staff was very friendly. The proximity to the airport is also a major plus. Great hotel.

Stayed here on the way to California from Calgary. Easy to find off I 82. Near the airport but noise not a concern. Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. Easy parking. Several restaurants near by, (walking distance) plus hotel has a shuttle if you want to go further for more options. The manager had a Happy Hour near the Lobby from 5-7pm with complimentary appetizers and wine or beer which was very welcoming and we met several other guests to chat with. Would stay here again if in the area.

Arrived at the hotel after fighting traffic and the heat, wanting to relax, and no rooms were ready. This was 2 to 3 hours after check-in time. So had to find something to do and wait! No apology when we did come back to check in.

The staff was welcoming and very nice, the rooms allowed for a comfortable night sleep, I also like the offer of a breakfast on the go if you had to depart before the breakfast buffet was open. That is a very nice touch and one I would have used had it been available on other trips,

The early morning breakfast and shuttle service was great. Not very many hotels will have the breakfast room ready at 4 in the morning. The rooms are large and clean and very inviting. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay again.

I almost cancelled my reservations when I was notified by IMG that this property was no longer a Holiday Inn Express. I am glad that we stayed here - it was a pleasant hotel - the lobby has a very nice appearance and it is easy to see that the property was recently renovated. The room was very nice and modern looking. The only complaints were that we could hear the people in the room above us as they walked around, which is unusual in a modern hotel building, and that the air conditioning unit did not seem to be able to keep the room very cool. Fortunately, the day/night were not too warm, so it all worked out. We enjoyed the breakfast, but wished for a little higher quality food, such as nicer yogurt and some additional fresh fruit. Overall, we would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Portland.

Upon check-in we found chocolate chip cookies waiting for new arrivals, just like another of our favorite hotel chains. Staff at the front desk were friendly and welcoming, the room was large, clean, and comfortable, and the dining area nicer and more spacious than at many other moderately priced hotels where we've stayed. A free hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise and included scrambled eggs, sausage, and biscuits and gravy and make-your-own waffles--a real plus for my husband who enjoys a hot meal in the morning. A very enjoyable stay!

Wonderful hotel staff, excellent hospitality, outstanding breakfast and the shuttle services were extremely convenient! The location is great and only a 5 minute shuttle ride to the max rail line to get downtown.

I'll start by saying I'm a loyal Hilton family hotel guest. Lifetime Diamond Status. But rates in Portland have gone crazy unless your willing to drive way outside the city. So I popped onto hotels.com and found the Best Western Plus for about $80 a night cheaper so I figured I'd give it a shot. Glad I did. Hotel was updated and clean with a nice modern decor. Room was comfortable, bathroom was nice and larger than many hotels. Internet was fast. A/c worked good. Breakfast area was spacious and offered a pretty good variety. Staff was very pleasant every time I interacted with them. The only reason I did give them 5 stars were the kind of cheap pillows. I really hate foam pillows and wish hotels would invest in something a bit more like feather or down alternative for those of us who like firmer pillows. Other than that I would not hesitate to stay here again. Watch out Hampton Inns, BW+ is stepping up their game.

I booked this night for a leisurely trip to Portland and used my IHG points to pay for the room. The hotel was under construction in the lobby area. The service was very courteous. The room was clean and quiet. We had a fridge in our room, I really liked the bathroom counter area and shower. My only complaint was the fan automatically comes on with the light, and the light automatically came on when walking in. Which in the middle of the night I would have preferred this not to happen. The breakfast hot food was very mediocre, it's reheated eggs and meat that were not cooked there, except the cinnamon rolls. I wish I had just stuck to the cereal and other cold food choices. Overall I was happy with my choice, but I just prefer a place with a better hotel breakfast.

Decent, but did not advise of renovations being done at the time of booking. I love Holliday Inn Expresses because they offer a decent room at a decent price. Although it was not as expected, the management was excellent and took care of the issues at hand which is all that can be expected.

We chose this property because it is located in the area or Portland that we were visiting. I had told a Portland area resident that we had reservations at this property and she hinted there might be better options in the area. We decided to keep our booking and were pleasantly surprised to find that the property had recently been updated and remodeled. Rooms were very nice and even though there is still some work being done the property was in pretty nice shape. The only thing that was a real turnoff is that the bathroom exhaust fan is connected to the light switch so that whenever you turn on the bathroom light you get the loud fans as a bonus. I don't know about you but I find that constant noise a real distraction. The people we were traveling with who had the room across the hall from us commented that it sounding like they were standing on the runway of the Portland Airport when they turned on the bathroom. I complained to the manager and a maintenance man was sent in to disconnect the exhaust fan from the light switch. At least our 2nd day of the stay was quiet.

Although this location is fairly far from the places I go when in Portland, it is very convenient to the airport and freeway system. Construction was occurring while we were there, but we did not suffer in any way from its effects. The room was very clean, the bathroom was too, and the beds are comfortable. The rewards program is one of the best I've ever used, so IHG has my loyalty. I'll be back.... Thank you!

I could not find the hotel at first, as the signage off the road is very small and poor. It is close to I-205, and not far from I-84. A shuttle is offered to and from the airport, which came in handy for my flight to Honolulu. The property is under renovation so the insides are not pretty, however the noise is not bad and they do stop at night. I believe there is a spa, but it looked closed. There is no pool. I am not sure if I was in a renovated room or not, but it was clean. The TV selection is very limited, and you can at times hear planes overhead, but the airport is not far away. I did however sleep very well two of the three nights. There was a time change and my wake up call did not active until an hour later. Apparently, the system does not adjust to the end of DST. Luckily, it was the night I could not sleep and I was awake. Breakfast was typical and fine, as was the business center in the same area. The desk staff was very friendly and helpful for attractions in Downtown Portland. I did a Park and Fly, which is an extra $50 to leave your car for up to two weeks while you fly. My car was untouched after returning four days later. I have heard this program has been suspended while construction is ongoing, so check beforehand. I will say the prices are very high during renovations. The whole thing cost around $600 for three nights (two before the flight and one upon return in a different room). Part of it is the outrageous taxes charged by the various government agencies, including a special Portland tax for being in some sort of economic zone. These taxes are not the hotel's fault of course, but I would hope they would lower the rates some while construction is occurring. I can see how some guests would be upset. The weather was cold (40s) and rainy pretty much the entire time, so I didn't get to see as much as I wanted. The airport area is fine, however downtown areas have a huge homeless problem, making things unsettling. Only one person bothered me, but it is not a good look for the city. I have no plans to return in the near future, but if so, I may look in a suburb and hopefully save a few dollars in both rates and taxes.

I've been here before, and it was worth coming back. The construction was not an issue, but we arrived late on a Saturday night, and left Sunday. The shuttle driver was superb, great guy! Breakfast was nice, I do like the cinnamon rolls most of all. The breakfast hostess seemed oblivious to us, but she worked hard keeping everything well stocked. It's a quiet place, the bed was most comfortable. The bathroom was a bit small, but everything in it was top notch. This is a great value with the IHG points-and-cash option, and because of that, I will indeed be back.
