"Poor hotel"

Room has trash on floor and in trashcan, towels were dirty, microwave did not work, key card did not work, pricy for a bad hotel. Staff was very dry , as if the customers were an inconvenience. upon checking, I was asked for ID and credit card and not given any other info. later during the evening with different staff member I asked about extending one more day, i same room was told that could not be done. I would have to check out then try and book online, I booked online and the next morning asked if I could stay in same room. staff said they cannot do online reservation and I would need to cancel and book with them. I have receipt for 2 nights at total $290.00. my card had a total of 750 taken off card.

Best Western was there for us after discovering an Airbnb that was booked turned horribly wrong! We were able to book quick, choose a room upon arriving and were kindly greeted from the staff at the front desk. The hotel was clean, well taken care of and the pool was great to enjoy after a long day of traveling in the heat. Breakfast the following day was wonderful as well with waffles, potatoes, eggs, and of course the well needed coffee. As we left the staff again was very friendly. The stay was so great we stayed again on the trip back home.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western Pleasanton. We met Michelle at the front desk and she was very helpful directing us to a local restaurant for a great evening dinner. The hotel was very clean and the king bed was perfect after a long day on the road. Give the Pleasanton Best Western a try and say "hi" to Michelle for us.

A little hard to find but worth it. Very friendly and helpful staff, and exceptionally clean. Nice breakfast room included in the price. The price was very good compared to others in the area. I will keep this one in my list to use again in the future.

Rooms are ok, and the staff was actually nice. Except for the owner (I was told she was the owner by other employees). She questioned how many people were in our room & told us that we COULD NOT have guest.. Since when is Best Western a prison that doesn't allow guest? I think it was very rude and unprofessional of her to question our stay. My family stopped by to say hi, since they live in Pleasanton. They didn't even go up to our room, because she quickly questioned if they were going to stay & that they had to pay $10 per person if they were going to stay. Ruined our whole trip, felt like we were walking on egg-shells. Wouldn't recommend, look for a hotel that allows guest if you actually want to enjoy your stay.

I.ve stayed at this hotel several times and I've always been pleased. The staff is friendly and does all they can to make my stay enjoyable. The rooms are always clean. The breakfast has a good variety of foods and there are additions made to the menu each morning so that you aren't eating the same food everyday.

"Rude people at front desk"

We were there for a baby shower and requested a one hour check out late check out we were more than glad to pay the extra $20 for that one hour the lady at the front desk was so rude and kicked us out

Was visiting San Antonio andthis hotel had the best rates.. A little out of the way but wirth it.. Nice clean rooms. Beds were comfortable. VERY friendly staffing. Breakfast had a limited selection and closed by 9.00. Over all had a good stay.

After driving almost 700 miles, we were greeted by the very friendly receptionist at the Pleasanton Best Western. This was the beginning of a very good night's stay. The the room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was adequate. The only negative is it's location. You must drive through the Super 8 parking lot to get to it. If we're in the area again, we will definitely stay at this Best Western.

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Great parking for truck and trailer. Walking distance to Mexican restaurant. Staff was great. Didn't have the breakfast but they do have one in the morning. Would stay again.

If you stay at a Best Western they will steal your money if you have any changes in your reservation. This particular owner was totally uncooperative and insisted on stealing my money for a reservation that was botched by the Best Western website...this is unacceptable

cleanness was sub par. The breakfast was very good it changed daily. The pool needed to be filled better to be able to rid itself of trash. And bees nest in doors ways needed to be removed. I'd stay again though.

"Not worth the stay in this hotel!"

The hotel looks new, but the room stinks the moment we walked in. I figured why it stinks the following morning when I took a shower, The ceiling in the shower has a mold, probably from a water leak. I have seen hand marks on lamp shade and bathroom door. The room is definitely not thoroughly cleaned. The sheets and towels were obviously originally white, but not anymore as they were a little tinted with tan. The bed was saggy and need a replacement. Also, the air conditioning does not have a control, so either unplug it or you freeze. The pool and fitness facility closes at 9:00. Did not even had time to use it since it was almost 9:00 when we came back from dinner. Bacon was on the menu for breakfast, but when they ran out, they did not replace it anymore. Overall, I would not recommend this place.

Nice hotel, rooms aren't very spacious, front desk were friendly, hot breakfast was great, there wasn't toast, but the lady working that morning kindly served more for us. We ate supper right next to the hotel at a Mexican restaurant very good food there.

The worst best western I have stayed at. The room seemed dusty and bottom of lamps looked like they hadn't been cleaned in some time. Staff not very friendly. Housekeeping knocked early to ASK if we wanted room clean. They weren't even cleaning it at that time. We asked for extra towels and were told we would get them when room was cleaned and all they did were exchange the ones we had. They even took one that I hung up in the closet to dry that I used for my hair. The front desk lady was not helpful. Also, they placed an additional $100 hold on my debit card, which I was not notified about prior to checking in. I did not find it posted anywhere on their website. Thankfully, I had the extra $100, but if I didn't, I probably would not have stayed at this hotel. This should be posted online somewhere so that we, as customers, can be aware of this additional fee.

Our policy has been that due to an increasing number of customers who weren't able to return the keys, damaged some of our things in the room. With that, we created a protocol that makes the customers pay. During check out without damages we return the deposit right away. He asked me if I dyed my hair because the towels are “stained”. I told him “no, just wash them and the dye will come out.” I dyed it before I came on my trip. He said, “dying your hair isn't allowed”. I told him, “ok but there's nothing that states that”. Lol! Then the headboard was peeling. It was all over the bed pillows and my hair when I woke up. Trashy place. Don't waste your money here!

"Stay somewhere else this place is not worth it"

I travel quite a bit and this is by far one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. The lobby and the rooms smell and have a nasty odor. There were dried up boogers on the head board on the wall. I ended up going to the grocery store to buy some disinfectant wipes and spray to clean the room myself. The furniture is old and worn down. There was a loud noise coming from the refrigerator in our room that was interrupting our sleep. I called downstairs only to be told they all make that noise. I wasn't happy so I asked someone to switch it out. He said they could do it in the morning. I told them to switch us to another room and they came up and switched out the fridge and low and behold no more noise! That simple. The hotel was pretty empty due to the pandemic yet they gave us a room right in front of the elevators and we could hear every noise right in front of our door. In the morning there was a group of oil field workers smoking right outside lobby directly below our room. They were very loud and you could smell the smoke coming through our windows. I called to ask if they could have them keep it down since it was 5am but it continued for 45 minutes. This hotel was pretty pricey and I rely on the reviews. I suggest someone look into actual guest staying and making reviews because there is no way this hotel has these ratings. Awful. Stay somewhere else! Oh and incidental fees are usually $25-$50 and this hotel is $100!

Stayed here overnight; the room was sparkling clean, Jay, who checked us in was nice and accommodating. Comfy bed and pillows. They had great “to go” items ready for breakfast. This will definitely be our hotel of choice next time we are in town!

This BW property had a vibrant group of ladies doing their job and having a good time doing so. This plus location is fairly new and close to restaurants on same street, rooms are of good comfortable size, good AC, Large TV, Good bath linens, pool, fitness room, came out in morning with packaged breakfast due to Covid virus, but was good choices. Comfortable bed, great location for traveler!

Very nice decor, looks recently updated. Very friendly staff and convenient location to just about everything. Extremely comfortable bed and room, very quiet. Price was good and would stay again if I'm in the area.

Rooms as always was clean. Staff is very friendly and check on you everytime they see you. The food for breakfast is fresh and they are always checking the temperatures to make sure that it is safe for you to eat and not going to harm you or anybody else. Would definitely recommend this place for any type of stay

Nice hotel, rooms very comfortable, ample parking, staff very nice and professional. The only issue which would most likely not impact the normal traveler is the lobby furniture is very uncomfortable to use as a "visiting spot". Also, the breakfast area is locked up at off times so if you needed to have access for a table for (visiting or eating) you have to use their outside table area.

Nice room, good breakfast and great price. Only problem is that I was put in a handicap room and people kept ringing the bell at night guess when they were getting home from the bar. Besides that it was a nice stay

"Lack of customer service, not accommodating for late check out"

Nice hotel for location however, they would not give us a late checkout which I feel is absolutely absurd. We had a meeting about 10 minutes away and have items in our luggage that cannot sit in a vehicle in the heat of Texas all day long. We asked for an additional hour and we were told that was not possible and we would be charged an additional nights stay. When we checked in we were told that business had been slow and weren't as busy as they had been a couple months ago, so we know they aren't needing to turn the room over quickly for people checking in. Just unfortunate they couldn't be accommodating. Checkout is at 11am and I was called at 10:15am asking if they could run our credit card for the additional nights stay since we would be late checking out. I'm outraged! BEST WESTERN this is a huge disappointment and very shocked with lack of customer service. We will not be doing business with you in the future nor will I recommend anyone else to stay here!

Michelle was very helpful at getting us checked into the hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable. The showers had an amazing amount of pressure which was almost like getting a massage. The breakfast was not spectacular but it was good. I would definitely stay again!

Check in was a breeze, very courteous desk staff. Room was spacious and clean!! The bed was sooooo comfortable and plenty of towels supplied. The outdoor pool was a plus and lots of seating around it. The property was well kept and the parking area was well lit at night. There's a Mexican restaurant right in front of the hotel so you don't have to drive for something to eat, if you like mexican food. Very quiet location for an excellent night sleep.

I almost never sleep the whole night through without waking up in back pain, but I melted into the bed and slept as though someone had drugged me. I almost wish I had the same mattress at home. I do wish there was a more firm pillow available though.

Called several weeks in advanced to make a reservation for a family wedding. The rooms blocked were for the night before wedding. I had to repeat more than once that I wanted our reservations for the night of the wedding so we would not have to drive home late . I had to repeat what night I wanted because the person kept getting it wrong. Sure enough when we arrived at 2 for check in we were told our reservations were for the previous night and we had been charged for them. I also was told I was sent a confirmation email which I still cannot find on my computer. With only a few hours before wedding and my 90 year old mother sitting in the car,I was forced to take 2 rooms. Had I not felt forced into taking rooms ASAP I would have gone elsewhere. The gentleman who waited on me showed no concern about the mix up even when I tried to remind him of our conversation of the mix up over the phone. I was given no help as to where to report my concern until I specifically asked for phone number or address. I was told there wasn't a complaint form/rating or address to mail a complaint and it took several tries before I was given the corporate website. I was told there was no telephone recording of making the reservation for review. Even after being contacted by the corporate office the management refused to make the matter better. Had the reservation been made through the general BW reservation desk there would have been a recording and they would have taken care of the matter. I feel that instead of correcting their mistake they went for the extra money. The most uncaring management I have ever encountered. In fact the only uncaring one I have ever dealt with.

our van broke down and we were stuck on a Sunday night. This was a quiet hotel with large rooms, comfortable beds and it was very clean. Had a nice pool (with extra towels) that we could hang out in and enjoy the evening. The morning breakfast was excellent.

We were not told prior to booking about roof repair. Mgr stated since we were on 2nd floor it shouldn't be a problem. The wash clothes were stained. Towels were threadbare. Checked in at 5:00 a m. Checked out at 10:30. Made complaint to the owner/ manager who could have cared less.

The room was nice clean and comfortable. The breakfast was the best I've had at any hotel ever. I will be back. Whenever I travel through Pleasington I will always stay at the Best Western. Did I mention the breakfast?!

Worst hotel stay we have ever been at. My wife and kids did not deserve this. Checking in the lady was so rude and unprofessional towards us . She had a sarcastic attitude The way she acted we think she was the manager not sure if she was but her name was Sonya. The bathroom fixtures were all stained Water Marks. We got up for breakfast and there were no eggs we asked if there would be more she gave my wife a rude reaction. She was so busy taking to the men she could not make eggs. She was not dressed appropriately. And no gloves and she was touching everything. We ended up not eating breakfast. Very very dirty and not sanitary. Worst hotel stay ever not professional at all.

All Employees went out of their way to accommodate us from when we arrived until the time we checked out. They provided breakfast and an evening meal to all guests, the lady preparing the food even brought new items to our table as she would bring them from the kitchen. I would stay there again

I am so disappointed and aggravated with the Best Western Plus Hotel in Pleasanton. This Hotel has very poor management and has a middle age Hispanic woman with long salt black pepper hair who is so rude and works the front desk. This woman is so unprofessional she was eating and wiping her hands on all the paper work she was handing me and she was giving me different rates for the same room!! I was so disgusted just listing and watching her. She told my husband she was the new owner of the hotel and would be replacing all the old workers. I have no idea or care that she is the new owner!!! I will never stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Pleasanton Texas again. The worst Hotel owner I have ever witnessed running an establishment.

We had reserved a room at a last minute price. At check-in front desk person put us in a better room to open handicap room for someone else. Room was clean and no complaints about it. They had a little Happy Hour appetizer which we didn't expect but appreciated. The breakfast was a little less than we normally see at a Best Western Plus but it was doable. The housekeeping staff did complain about their wages in front of guests which bothered us. If you don't like your job - get another one. We would stay here again if ever in the area.

whereas the hotel was clean. we reserved two rooms on the 1st floor. One was for my 92-year old father, who needed a handicapped access room. there was not one available as we had reserved. the clerk blamed it on the other clerk. Poor excuse.

"Worst staff I've ever experienced"

Entire staff was unprofessional. Staff members complained to me and another co-worker about other staff members, managers and the ownership. Breakfast was your average thin, tasteless bacon and eggs you get at any other Best Western. Owner has made a lot of cuts without lowering his prices. The cable package was one of them. Another was the coffee cups. They went from using the regular BW coffee cups to cheap, thin paper cups. Management will learn that regular guests notice these small things and will eventually choose to stay somewhere else.

The sheets are stained,dingy and disgusting. My family and I will not ever stay at Pleasanton Best Western ever again. When we complained and got new sheets they were also stained, nasty and dirty. We were so grossed out that we checked out and went to another hotel.

I was very impressed with the lobby. Very chic with leather sofas in an S-shaped. Lighting was the late sixty but with a modern twist. Impressive. I have stayed at many BW hotel but none was like this.

This is the second Bedt Western Plus I have stayed at in as many weeks. I am not happy at all with the the hygiene that is not being made available in the fitness area. They do not provide any type of disinfectant or wipes to wipe down the machines with after being used. You are not able to clean your filth off the machine nor the people before or after you use it. Literally I had to walk to the front desk and ask for this. If your going to have a fitness center then make sure people can clean the machines and the machines need to be in good working condition. Also I came back to my room after a long hot day in the field to discover my room not cleaned and linens on the floor left there. Very dissatisfied.

I stayed just one night. This is a beautiful hotel. It looks brand new. I found it to be very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Rooms are nicely decorated and beautiful. Staff is very friendly and quit helpful.

This is one of the best places to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. Work area was good. Internet was very good. Staff was friendly and the room clean. A good place to stay. I would recommend this place.

Less then friendly front desk staff. Wasn't even asked for ID or credit card. Wouldn't let us check in 1 hour early. Which left us no place to change or get ready for an event we were in town for at 2:30.

This hotel seems new and the room was clean and comfortable. Front desk staff were friendly and polite. Breakfast had some interesting choices such as a hamburger hash, bacon and scrambled eggs as well as the usual waffle maker, etc. I would have liked some fresh fruit. All in all, I'd stay again

Hotel was clean and has a good cook "Maria" in the kitchen. Easy to find and several fast food restaurants in the area as well as a Walmart and Walgreens for those forgotten items. Peaceful rest on a good bed. Needs a makeup mirror. Chris at front desk knew of local restaurants and times they would be open, he was very helpful. This is a short 1-1/2 hour south drive down to the beach at Mustang Island or 30 minutes back into San Antonio for a shopping spree.

I travel a lot and always test available hotels in places I visit regularly to get best fit for available spend. The Best Western Plus in Pleasanton falls into the category of money well spent based on what is available. The hotel is 4 years old, you would not know that at first glance. It appears to be new. The location is excellent but all of them are they're on the main strip. The main hall is done up nicely even though the fittings are a little too modern for me, but I'm sure it works for most folk. The rooms are spacious and the fittings are top notch. I was really impressed with the quality of the fixtures (face basin, shower etc). I stay in a lot of these hotels and these give you the impression you're in a 4 star hotel. The staff were friendly and professional. Happy to stay here again.

Friendly staff, great breakfast and happy hour. I stay in hotels 4 days a week and Best Western - Pleasanton is by far the best over all deal. The rooms are big and the bed sleeps great. Everything is clean inside and outside the rooms. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone staying in this City. Happy customer!

They gave keys to my room to another guest so I got walked in on during intimate time with my hubby. EXTREMELY EMBARRASING!! When I told the guy at the front desk he didnt even apologize or offer any type of discount which was even more fustrating. I called the corperate number only to be refunded TEN dollars for their careless mistake.

We got in late and we're looking for a hotel room last minute. I was hesitant to stay here because since the Best Westerns I remember when I was younger were not as nice. The girl working the counter was friendly and accommodating. The room we had was a king size suite. It was very good size, clean and decorated with contemporary items. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the shower had a rain type shower head. I'd definitely recommend is location and will be staying here again if the need arises.

Very nice hotel for the area. The hotel is very clean with comfortable beds. When rooms are 'on sale' this Best Western is an excellent value. Note: For late risers the breakfast service ends at 9:00 AM. Will stay again when in the area.

Everything seems new and the beds are comfy. The rooms are so cute and even the remote was freshly sanitized. Gym and pool are nice and aren't packed. Staff is so friendly. Nice little kitchen and shower head. There's a flatscreen and nice shower. I would definitely stay here again.

I didn't expect much heading into Pleasanton. And while I knew new hotels were all around, I didn't expect to find this fantastic place. Exceptionally new. The parking was adequate with remarkable lighting. There would not be a concern for "someone in the shadows" for anyone arriving or departing after daylight hours. The lobby is beautifully adorned with a modern decor that rivals any big city hotel. I reserved a King room but when I opened my door I was greeted by a gorgeous king suite. The colors, layout and overall vibe of the space was fantastic. And, if I'm honest, surprising. Amenities included wifi (pretty decent speed too), continental breakfast and DISH Network TV with a large screen in the room. The breakfast is your standard hotel breakfast. It wasn't anything special but it was fresh with adequate options. I booked for hotels.com and for $109 for the night, I'd stay there every single time I need to be in town for work.

We had a very good stay. Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. The only problem we had was that the housekeeping staff came to our door three times in the morning to see if we had left. We were up and awake, just not quite ready to leave.

We travel frequently but this was our first experience with a Best Western. Indeed, probably the most comfortable king size bed ever! Wanted to take the bed home....lol. The first day I checked in the smoke alarm was making beeping noise so told front desk and they said they would fix it came back hrs later same problem told front desk the said maintenance don't come till th morning and I told them I have to listen to beeping noise all night they said they would give me a discount and fix it next day the next they still didn't fix it same story so when I checked out they said they don't give discounts and manager was very rude told him I would never stay there again

The hotel is a non-smoking facility, so none of the rooms had that smoky smell. The rooms had thermostats in them so the A/C doesn't run constantly and freeze you to death. The walls were fairly thick so you don't hear your neighbors too much like some of the other hotels. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel property itself is very nice...clean, quiet & with great beds. However the clerk @ check in was extremely rude...assigned me to a room that she knew has had problems w/ key. promised to fix or assign other room after housekeeping cleaned...neither happened!! So I had room with no key & had to have clerk use "master" key anytime I needed to leave room. The clerk @ check out was "GREAT"!!!

I was alone. I felt safe. The parking lot was well lit. The Hotel as well as the room was clean and quiet. Internet was fast. There were plenty of pillows for the bead. The staff was professional and friendly.

The hotel was clean and nice especially for a town in the oil industry. The breakfast was good and there seemed to be something for everyone. The lobby is clean. I didn't use the fitness center or laundry room. The internet was decent and I didn't have issues using my laptop. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable so I had no issues and it was a nice place to stay on my business trip.

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. I was in the hotel industry for 10 plus years and this hotel is at the top of the list. Very well kept and very nice people. My husband and I stay at a lot of hotels in small town. Sometimes that is not always a good thing, they tend to not pay attention to details. This hotel paid attention to all the details and it made our stay very nice.

Front office clerk was not able to give me same rate as offered in trip advisor. I had to book online, then I was able to get the room. Overall everything else was well. Hotel was not that packed. Everything was clean and breakfast was good.

We stayed here on our way to RGV and on the way home. This was a new very clean hotel. We stayed on the back side and it was very quiet. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was great. Would stay here again.

I travel here quite often for business. I stay here every time I come. The hotel is very quiet and well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The have a pretty good breakfast everyday. No one ever mentions her, but the lady that is in charge of the breakfast room is the most friendly and attentive person that I believe I have ever seen in any hotel. Always friendly and right on the spot if there is something you need. I really hope that the management takes care of her and se will stay around !!

One of the better Best Western have stayed at. Very clean and well kept. Staff on duty 24 hours for anything. Very clean and the lobby and rooms excellent. Would recommend to anyone. Will be staying again in the future.

While working in the area, I stayed here for about 4 months every week Mon-Fri. (home on the weekends) My family came quite often and stayed as well. The staff was always friendly and helpful. My wife and kids enjoyed the breakfast. The lady that worked in the breakfast area always had a smile and kept everything well stocked and clean. Rooms were clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable. Located near many fast food options, restaurants, and Wal-Mart.

Both the check in and out were quick. I stayed in #326 away from all traffic, super quiet. The room was spacious, the bed was amazing. I didn't want to get out of it this morning and secretly wish I could have taken the comforter with me. There was a bit of sand at the bottom of the Jacuzzi that another review complained about but it didn't bother me at all. The water was hot, the jets worked and I could smell a hint of bleach, no worries about sand in an outside Jacuzzi. I was the only one in the area and could just hear the band from further down the street. Perfectly relaxing for me. If I were in this area again I would stay here no doubt.
