I'm not sure why this is rated as the #1 hotel in McDonough. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet a night but this hotel is solidly a budget option. It took the check-in person some time to find my reservation since it was booked via a third party. I don't think it was her fault but it was not a great beginning to my stay. The elevator floor was sticky during my entire stay. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the floor or if someone had spilled something but it wasn't clean. Room TVs should be updated. They weren't HD. Breakfast was also pretty simple with a lot of expected items missing. There wasn't any Greek Yoghurt. Oatmeal was instant only in small packets when most hotels have cooked oatmeal available each morning. I also didn't see any whole wheat or multi-grain bread. For the price and for one night, this hotel is okay, but if I'm in the area again I will stay elsewhere.
The front desk staff needs training from greeting the newcomers checking in to knowing when it is appropriate to call a guest in their room during sleep hours. We had an early morning ahead of us the next morning and so went to Bed fairly early. Were awakened after 10 pm by a young man banging on our door and he stated “Oh man they gave me the wrong room number!” Just as we were getting back to sleep, our phone rang incessantly until I answered it. A woman , who did not identify herself, asked “what is your last name?” Neither my husband nor I felt it appropriate first to call, then to not say it was the front desk, and not knowing for certain who it was, we did not want to give her an answer. She said that she needed the last name and since she didn't check us in, she didn't know it!🤷♀️We had signed 2 documents at the front desk on check in and they both had our room numbers printed on them! she could very well Have figured out who was assigned to this room! She was extremely rude and ended up hanging up on us. Because we didn't want her to wake up our other family in the room across from ours, we called the front desk. We told her the last name since we knew for Sure it was front desk and she proceeded to scold us for being upset! 😳 It took both of us a long time to get back to sleep and our 6am departure couldn't come soon enough. We won't be back. Also, roach in the toilet! Eww!
Decent hotel, off the freeway, tucked down a side road. Bed was firm but comfortable for me. Room was clean. Looked updated furniture/carpet-wise but areas in room along baseboards and door were worn or rusted looking. There were no forks when we went for breakfast at 8am. Several people came to eat after us. Breakfast was 6:30-9:30. We only stopped for one night so it served our purpose for being clean and free hot breakfast.
There are other nice hotels in the area, but you absolutely can not beat the price for what you get! First, in my book, it is cleanliness, and this hotel nailed it. It is an older one that has been renovated, but the room was CLEAN. Not as impressed with the staff... could definitely have been friendlier, but maybe they had a bad day. Slept well, although bring your own pillow - pillows could be improved if you want to be picky. Honestly, I would recommend if you just want a clean place to crash without paying for a lot of frills.
GREAT HOTEL and not expensive compared to other hotels today.... clean rooms and very comfortable....Great shower with good water pressure and HOT water, not luke warm water... will definitely stay here again.. and would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!
We tried to check in last night (7/19/2024) and the hotel employee working was one of the rudest, unprofessional customer service people we have ever run into at a hotel. Will spare you the details, but we walked out of the hotel as he was the most unhelpful and unwelcoming staff while on a personal call during our attempted inquiry to a reservation. Left and drove not even 30 minutes South to a welcoming town of Forsyth which was the best decision!
Very happy with this hotel. The rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and a good air conditioner. Outside of the hotel was landscape very pretty. It has an indoor pool. The breakfast was good with many choices. Seem to be in a safe area with plenty of restaurants nearby. Would stay here again.
The shining reviews and status as #1 hotel in McDonough, GA are kind of confusing. The hotel was OK but felt tired. The room was old-school with dated linens and was mostly clean but definitely not spotless. The lobby also felt older and dark. Front desk service was friendly. The breakfast was probably the highlight with a decent selection. Having 6-person rooms is also a big plus and the reason we stayed there. However, the old pullout wasn't quite worth all being able to share a room. In short, it was OK for passing through, but I definitely wouldn't stay more than one night here.
Was an overnight stay, clean room, comfortable bed, nice variety at breakfast, room was bigger than most
Clean and comfy hotel. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Applebees is right next door and offers a discount for hotel guests. Convenient when you don't want to drive for dinner after driving all day! Would stay here again. Front desk personnel very nice. What I'm assuming was the manager came by and asked how breakfast was and was helping in the breakfast area. Very impressive!!
I stopped in while traveling to see family. It was only 1 night but I can see staying here every time I travel through the area. This location is a perfect distance from my home to where ever I am going. Also, as a solo travel I felt perfectly safe staying here.
My wife and I stayed on the way down to Florida from Illinois. We enjoyed the room and decided to stay on the way back home a week later. Comfortable rooms, comfortable beds and very clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The discount at Applebees was a plus. Well done.
Wonderful property at which to stay. Very convenient to I-75 and Route 20/Hampton Road. Free parking. Free breakfast. Quiet rooms that seem to be well maintained. Excellent front desk staff. Indoor pool (hot tub was closed). Workout room. Small snack shop, but Walmart is close by. Looking forward to staying here again.
Extremely clean and quiet hotel.Front desk was very personable and efficient.Located next door to an Applebees where you get 10% off bill with key card. Was not a fan of the small throw pillows instead of standard bed pillows. Will return when in area
Hotel is newer and was nice but staff could pay more attention to cleaning details. The room needed a thorough vacuuming and had some mold in the bathtub. The reason for the 3 star rating is mainly due to the highway noise if you receive a room facing the highway. The beds were super comfortable. Breakfast typical for hotel breakfast.
Visited with three kids aged 17 and up after a volleyball tournament. Pros: location, easy check-in, quiet inside hotel, good shower temp and water pressure Cons: bedsheets very worn-to the point of holes, small square pillows, mold in shower, pullout coach was not comfortable, the wind outside our window was very loud (random but true) I like this brand in Dalton, GA, but I will another hotel if back in McDonough.
Traveled from Florida and it was quiet and relaxing. Close to visit tourist sites, restaurants and come back and relax. Lovely visit. Would recommend. First time at this Best Western and it was very pleasant
We have stayed here for many years and always had great service/stays; but since the general manager, Helen, retired a couple of years ago, this place has gone downhill. It startred with the receptionist, a broken toilet handle, never giving us our requested wake up call, to issues at breakfast. Goodbye folks; YOU blew it.
Very helpful staff for our late check-in. The bed & pillows were comfortable - had a good night's sleep. The breakfast is a very full breakfast! Lots of choices. There was some noise from the I-75 but that wasn't a problem for us - but that's why I rated it 4 stars
Quiet, clean and well appointed hotel. Large room with King bed with everything in good repair. The hotel is just off the highway but had none of the truck noise we had been used to. The "hot breakfast" was exactly that. The best hotel breakfast we've had in several years... scrambled eggs, link sausage, fried potatoes, yogurt, bagels, hot waffles, cereals, fresh fruit, tea and GOOD coffee.
We stopped here on the way to Disney. It is right off the expressway, in a fairly quiet location. I completed pre Check-in and I had my room keys very quickly. The front staff were very friendly for both evening and morning shifts.
Best Western Plus offers a great stay for extended and shorter stays. A home away from home to some degree. Stayed 5 nights with family( 2 adults and 2 kids 2 and under) in transition as we moved. Rooms were spacious and clean and provide ample of storage and whatever you may need ( coffee maker , fridge , pull out sofa in addition to beds , desk or work space, Bluetooth alarm etc. ) Water temperature ( I like really hot showers especially in cold weather) and pressure were perfect! Regular Bathroom and rooms are moderately accessible for differently abled. Staff was prompt and courteous ( some more than others) Laundry and ice on etc level Water fountain only on first 3 level hotel Offers daily continental breakfast and can accommodate some dietary needs( no pork no dairy etc) Also has highchairs and boosters available for small children. TV and free Internet w/ good connection In room air and heating / blackout curtains Offers a secluded/ private feel while still being centralized to stores, entertainment, and interstate access. Heated indoor pool, gym , outdoor sitting areas available. Great bang for your buck !
Very large rooms. Tall ceilings. Hot breakfast was great. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Bed was big and very comfortable. Easy access from the highway. Restaurants were within walking distance.
Room was very comfortable. Bed was nice and room was clean. Enjoyed my stay and front desk person was very nice. She helped with my special accommodations and made sure we were comfortable. I would stay here again.
Had to sign a hotel policy that no alcohol would be consumed on hotel property. When traveling I like having a beverage before bed. Also was not told this at the time of reservation. Luckily Applebee's is right next door.
The room was very clean and nice. The ladies at the desk were very nice and helpful. Had everything in the room that we needed. We really enjoyed the breakfast. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Hotel was pretty clean but still needs updating, breakfast was pretty good, room was clean, beds were comfortable. Parking area was well lighted with ample parking, restaurants within walking distance.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed and the pillows were very nice. I had a good nights sleep. The hotel was clean and safe inside and out. It was conveniently located near businesses and restaurants. Some restaurants offer discounts based on staying at the hotel.
Hotel was being remodeled during visit. Staff was not very friendly. Was given wrong room and had to change rooms. Hotel should be nice when remodel is finished. Breakfast had plenty of variety for us.
Please train all employees in ALL check in processes. We drove over 3 hours after receiving notice of of a family member passing. We booked the room 30 minutes prior to arrival to the property which was well maintained and the Nighy auditor had a pleasant attitude at check in. She was unaware of how to handle the check in for a third party. After speaking with the third party directly and confirming the virtual card (paid in full) was available We still waited over an hour in the lobby until hotel support walked her through the steps to successfully check us in. Hotel support advised to give us a key and allow us access to the room, which did not happen. The manager called to resolve the issue but only made excuses to why we were in the lobby so long.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great location, customer service, and the rooms are really clean. The pool was great it's located in the inside. The hotel is quiet and Applebee's is right next door in walking distance.
We were very pleased with our Best Western experience. The hotel was very clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was nice to have a sofa and coffee table where we were able to enjoy a pizza. We enjoyed our stay so much on our trip south, that we also stayed there on our way home.
I can't find anything bad to say. Clean room, nice breakfast area, nice pool. We had fast internet (5G) and the hotel was close to restaurants (depending on your choice, not all in walking distance). Very nice stay and highly recommended. Friendly check-in and check-out front desk.
Really nice place to stop on our way back home from Florida No surprises ........... the hotel was as advertised It was quiet, clean, comfortable and best of all .....NO Pets !! Staff were all polite & respectful
This hotel is being renovated so will hopefully be a 5 next time we stay. Our fan in bathroom which was also the bathroom light sounded like a jet engine and leaked on us in morning. The weirdest thing was a note left in our room telling us they had just cleaned carpets, sofa and chair so we were not to sit on them for 24 hours as they were still damp!. We are a Best Western Diamond Select member so thought they could of put us in a room that we could at least sit down someplace other than the bed. Maybe it was because we used a free certificate. Otherwise everything else was very clean which is always a big plus so almost gave it a 4.
I called the hotel before making a reservation to make sure that the indoor pool was functioning the day before. Upon arrival they informed me that it was being renovated. I had my eight year old daughter with me, so that was kind of a big deal the entire hotel smelled like cleaning chemicals, as if to mask the odor of, something else you can tell they are trying to renovate but if you look closely things are very worn all of the silicone around the tub in the bathroom was chipped and peeling, etc.
We planned to stay here, because it was rated well on Tripadvisor. We walked in to book in person. I asked to see the room first. The front desk person seemed annoyed, but walked my husband and I to the room on the main floor. My first impression was that it looked okay, but then we realized that the tile floor was extremely slippery. The employee explained that the carpets had just been cleaned that day. They were still wet! She said every room was the same...wet carpets! It's hard to believe that they would expect people to stay in rooms with wet carpet. It's especially bad to have the dangerously slippery tile floors. All 3 of us left wet footprints as we walked back toward the front door of the hotel, LOL! Needless to say, we did not stay here. We found a very nice hotel elsewhere in the same area.
What a great stay we had here at Best Western everyone was so nice the breakfast was great me and my family appreciate so much we stayed for a week in a half as a EF-5 tornado hit my city of Griffin, Georgia thank you all so much
Hotel room is spacious, whole facility is neat and clean. Staff is courteous and efficient. Parking is well-lit and convenient. There is a little road noise, but not enough to bother me. Price is very fair.
While the hotel is a bit dated it is apparent that they are in the process of updating/upgrading rooms section by section. We slept so well that we actually overslept a bit. Every member of the staff I encountered was helpful and pleasant. I did my research on Trip Advisor before making a reservation and we were happy with the choice. We'll definitely stay at this hotel again when traveling through the area.
100% Recommend. We only spent one night at the hotel, it was very quite and peaceful. But overall the room was spacious, bathroom was clean, the staff was nice. Best Western is my go to hotel. Would book again.
We have stayed at many hotels along interstate 75 over the years traveling back-and-forth from Ohio to Florida. This is without a doubt the nicest hotel at which we have ever stayed. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff was courteous, helpful, and professional. I hope all other Best Western plus hotels are as nice as this one, as I plan to seek out more during our travels.
It's a nice place. Warm welcome from the nicest desk clerk. Elevator does not leave a real good impression— we took the stairs after one ride. Nice breakfast. Lots of choices. Upon arrival we immediately went next door to eat and that Applebees was nice, also.
The best western in McDonough ga was dated. Based on the hallway smell I want to say it's a pet friendly hotel. The location was okay but some other businesses had foot traffic that was concerning. The building needs to be updated and deep cleaned. Now for the staff they were great! They were very informative and helpful with each of my requests or concerns. The staff saved this stay for me. As a suggestion put the building the same condition of the staff, I will return
The room floor was covered in dog hair and crumbs, 3 of the towels in the bathroom were dirty and folded/placed to look clean. For the price paid it was very disappointing. Would not stay again. Though the staff was very welcoming and professional
Room was okay. Price was reasonable. There was only one elevator and it was noisy, must be old, a little worrisome. Located near the Interstate and it could be noisy from the highway. Applebee's is right next door, if you are into that. There must be a police station nearby, because we heard a lot of sirens during the night. Breakfast, which was served in a dark room, was okay. There was scrambled eggs, potatoes and the thinnest bacon I ever seen/ had. We were supposed to stay here on our return trip, but wifey nixed it. She did not like the property. So we stayed somewhere else.
I am very thankful this location exists. It is a joy to stay at Best Western Plus hotels because the service, rooms and amenities are often superior to other Best Western hotels. I was surprised how quiet was my stay was and the rooms and beds were clean. And the food was very good for full breakfast hotels. I will definitely come again.
I have stayed at this location once or twice each year for the past several years. Always a nice room at a reasonable rate. This year we checked in late. Took a while to find parking away from the groups arguing/fighting in the lots. Got the next to last room. Room had dirt in the entryway, blood smears on the bathroom floor and a massive urine stain in the center of the made bed. After too much discussion with the front desk, we got their other remaining room. The overnight stay was far noisier than previous visits. Overall, the quality of the stay has been declining over the past few years. This visit will probably be our last.
Nice large room but a bit dated. The whole hotel smelled really bad. Luckily we were able to get used to it. The price was higher than you would expect for the condition of the hotel. This hotel would be a 1.5 star but we paid for a 3 star.
This hotel is wonderful place to stop before fighting Atlanta traffic. Easy access from 2 exits with multiple restaurants available. Rooms are spacious with small refrigerator. Like the sofa and writing desk.
Staff was friendly and professional. Hotel was very clean . Bedroom was big. Breakfast had a nice selection. Good location-close to stores and restaurants. I will be staying here in the near future. It met all my expectations.
Clean and comfortable they only problem is that they didn't have biscuits and gravy for breakfast maybe next time. Otherwise great hotel worth the stay and will stay in the future easy access off the highway
For a room on Memorial Day weekend only costing $70 total I was very impressed. Did not expect the quality of renovations. In my opinion this room could've easily been twice what I was charged. For a dad traveling from Florida to Atlanta to visit his oldest serendipitously this place easily budgets an extra hundred dollars back to spend on doing something with your kid.
The mattress was the best. They were very comfortable. Even my husband was impressed. There was adequate parking for the handicap guests. I spoke with the supervisor of housekeeping, she was very professional.
We stayed in the king suite. The hotel and room we're clean, pillows were comfortable, the bed was a little firm for us. We liked the slightly larger refrigerator with a small freezer because we travel distances and usually have food and freeze water bottles to keep things cold(less messy). We did wish the room had a coffee maker and I would have liked a TV in the sitting area as well and not just by the bed. Hot breakfast was good.
We took the only room left and it was a handicap room. Shower, without a sill, worked very well for us. Room was quieter once we turned off the heater/AC unit. Breakfast was good but not very many healthy options.
Everything from the lobby, food area, hallways and rooms were very clean. The breakfast was good and provided a variety of options. The staff was always cleaning rhe area for other guests to dine. I always like their wonderful southern hospitality.
Enjoyed our overnight stay. The hotel, our room, and bedding were exceptionally clean. Beds were very pleasant, very restful sleeping conditions. Complimentary breakfast was enjoyable and served its purpose of refueling travelers for road trips. Appreciated the hotel discount at Applebee's, a walk-to location at end of hotel's parking lot. Staff was friendly, helpful, courteous. Only thing missing was a night light for the room!
We were passing thru GA and just wanted a nice and clean place to stay for the night. Mcdonough exceeded our expectations! Our king size suite was very large, clean, and welcoming. We slept well and enjoyed the relaxing down time we needed after being on the road all day. In the morning we had a hot breakfast that was very good. (I love those waffles!) The staff was very warm and friendly when we arrived and thanked us for choosing their hotel when we left. Highly recommend them!
We make this Best Western Plus a must stay when heading to and back from Florida . Our room was well laid out and very quiet; which is very important as I am a light sleeper. Breakfast was excellent with all my requirements. I noticed great detail to ensuring the breakfast area was extra clean.
Stay here in January have stayed here many times, this was our worst stay. Our room smelled like someone was smoking before us, wonder if they were charged the $100.00 that everyone has to sign. Wanted to change rooms, but wouldn't had to get the cleaning staff to spray the room. There was no coffee maker in the room said they removed them all, the pool was under maintenance so closed wasn't informed about this. This hotel is a plus which most differently is not. Won't be staying here ever again.
The front desk staff had 0 personality, very unwelcoming, rarely made eye contact or acknowledged guest presence. They were usually on their phones or having personal conversations that we would have stand and wait until they felt the guest was important enough to pause for. The room was surface clean, but there was hair between the headboard and mattress.. we had to clean the headboard because it had something disgusting smeared on it from previous guest. Housekeeper (1specific individual) was very unprofessional… I hate that the only way I can describe her is GHETTO!!! She spoke to you as if you were an irritating family member instead of a guest. We needed to stay an additional night and decided to go to JW Marriot… we received a deal that we paid the same price … I guess I've learned my lesson… I figured from reading the reviews that this would be a pleasant experience… I will never book a 2.5 or 3 star hotel (basically a motel) again.
Nice hotel and friendly staff. Only spent one night and I would give it a better rating except I had people banging on my door in the evening because they double booked my room. It was resolved when staff came up to make sure I was who I said I was. Then at 5:45 am I was awaken out of a dead sleep because the hotel alarm went off, briefly. They did offer a very nice breakfast which was greatly appreciated. Would I stay here again? Yes.
Easy check in. Nice size room and the room and lobby were nice and clean. The staff was very helpful in returning an item we left in the room. Lots of restaurants and gas stations nearby A good place to stop for the night when traveling g on I-75 south.
The experience was very excellent and the staff was very professional. The room was very clean. The breakfast and internet service was good. The location was very convenient to the restaurants, job training facility, Walmart, other places to shop and close to the freeway.
Went here for a little R &R! The room was spacious and clean with all the amenities. The lobby area was inviting and the front desk staff was very nice. They advised that you could get 10% off at two nearby restaurants by showing your room key. Shortly after check-in I realized I'd forgotten some toiletry items and they were able to provide complimentary items. Check-in and out was smooth. I called the front desk twice for information during my stay and was treated courteously. Requested housekeeping the following day, really just to get fresh towels. The housekeeper pulled trash and remade the bed with fresh linens. The breakfast offerings were simple and filling. My only complaint was the AC was a little noisy and there was this random noise that sounded like a fax machine or dial-up internet. Overall, pleasant stay! I definitely recommend and will return.
My stay at best Western was awesome. I enjoyed everything the room was clean and wholesome. I recommend Best western to my friends and love ones. Great atmosphere !!!!!!!!!!!!!! I look forward to seeing there on my next weekend getaway. It was fun
The room lights were meant for an operating room. The room was exceptionally poorly maintained and poorly constructed. The breakfast was inedible. There were noises from surrounding areas. The facility is poorly constructed.
staff was extremely nice, the pool was great but the advertised hot tub had been concreted over. the room was huge but dark. the bathroom was also very dark. they need more lighting. I would recommend this hotel its very close to the interstate and has restaurants walking distance, perfect for travel. clean and comfortable with a great breakfast.
While I was away on a business meeting, I received a call saying that maintenance needed to access my room to do work on a plumbing issue in the roam above mine. I had all of my personal belongings including my laptop, which was open in the room. I questioned the front desk lady and she said that the owner would be present. When I arrived back to my room, I went into the bathroom and noticed that one of the rolls of toilet paper had been used up completely. I went to the front desk to let them know this and she apologized and said they probably used it to clean up a mess/spill. That was it, nothing else. She did not offer to have my room cleaned or sanitized. In this day and time with the Covid stuff that we are dealing with and the ease at which people steal, I felt this could have been handled totally differently. I will probably never stay at a Best Western Plus again. Terrible experience
The location and room was great. No coffee in the room and no coffee in the lobby. Person in charge of making coffee did not know how to make coffee! Breakfast area was not well stocked. Had to ask for juice glasses and like i said - NO COFFEE
This was an average Best Western. The staff was very nice. The fitness center was very disappointing. There were four machines which is perfectly fine. The problem was that two of them were unusable. Breakfast was okay. I thought it was a little pricy for what we got.
I used the pre registration in my email on the way to the hotel. After registering it charged my card, once i arrived to the hotel the woman said they didnt accept that type of card EVEN THO THEY ALREADY CHARGED IT!! So she said i would have to use a different card & wait 2-3 weeks for the money back on my original card. I was out $100 my entire trip!
Well maintained hotel with spacious hallways and room. Well appointed room, only missing a coffee maker. Comfortable beds and quiet, even though our room backed to the freeway. We didn't partake of the breakfast, although it looked good.
Clean Hospitality and a great continental...yum! Just saying, that's the experience I had here and the price was well worth it, and I'm very picky about this. I had to find a place and was lucky to walk in and get a room to be honest. I was happy to find the price for the accommodations so agreeable to my situation, Although, the Card system was down and I had to pay cash I was still treated with
Highly recommend this hotel. Very clean and friendly staff with pillow top mattresses. This is the second stay at this property and have had an excellent experience both times. Staff is super friendly
Made a last minute reservation at this hotel, having stayed there before and had a good experience. The room was very clean. i did use disinfectant wipes for the usual high touch spots when I arrived; can't hurt! The provided toiletries were high quality. The AC unit is quiet enough. Internet was very fast, excellent Samsung TV. My room was adjacent to I-75 which is famous for the high % of truck traffic, so that does make the room noisier, but my white noise machine neutralizes that problem. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast has returned to the pre-pandemic level of offerings, and it was very good. I recommend this hotel for weary travelers.
The room was well appointed but absent a coffee pot. The air conditioner worked very well and the bed was comfortable. I would return there and stay again. That was my 2nd stay at this hotel. The staff was professional and polite. The hot breakfast was good and consisted of hot coffee, hot eggs and bacon and sausage on the second day.
We were traveling on our way to Florida. We stopped at Best Western. We chose them because they were rated the best in the area. They didn't disappoint. Lobby is clean and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly with nice smiles in greeting. Lobby was a pleasnat temperature. The room was clean with a nice temperature on arrival. Beds were comfortable. Room was nice and large. Check out was made very easy. The grounds also were taken care of nicely. The location was a little difficult to find but well worth it.
The McDonough Best Western Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The staff at the desk was very friendly and courteous. Check in and check out were very quick and easy. Would definitely stay here again.
My wife and I once again enjoyed our stay here. The manager, Tyana, is so nice and does everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. We really appreciate her and her staff. We also appreciate Shy who checked us in so quickly and courteously. We will definitely be back. Thank you! Bryan and Kim
We stayed here 2 nights. We were visiting friends in Mcdonough and wanted to stay near them. There were plenty of things to do in Mcdonough and the surrounding towns. We shopped, ate, and enjoyed a live jazz show. We did not have to go into ATL at all, which was nice. The hotel was clean and had everything needed for a pleasant stay. The complimentary breakfast was a nice touch. The young ladies who checked us in and out were very friendly and helpful. We had a good stay.
Tyana was amazing! She was very attentive and she communicated with me about everything I needed to know. She was patient and understanding! When I asked if she was the manager and she told me yes I didn't have to blink twice! Will definitely stay at this location again just because of her.
I called early to see if I could get an early check in due to a graduation in the afternoon. Shi was very helpful an got me a room very early. they also offered a FULL breakfast the first I have had since the pandemic and it was wonderful. Killer scrambled eggs the best I have ever tasted, bacon that was crispy, potatoes, what a wonderful breakfast !!!
Was very pleased with the staff and accommodations. The hotel was very clean, with very comfortable beds, nice free hot breakfast. The room was a suite with a sofa, refrig, micro, and desk. The only missing point was the maid service. We were staying a few days and they simply came in and emptied the trash, and straightened the bed, no new towels, no clean sheets, no replenishing of supplies.
We had a great time. Place was clean and quite and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and the pool was clean my kids enjoyed it. Only complaint would be the Marijuana smell in the halls and stairwells
The hotel seems to be on the newer side or at least the condition of everything. Right next door to an apple bee's and a good mexican restaurant. Will be staying again on our next adventure to florida. The area seems safe and plenty of restaurants close by.
We stay at BW a lot and had chosen this hotel because of the hot tub photo on line and the heated pool. We had many other options! It was priced much high then our normal choices but we were going to splurge for the added experience. Upon arrival we signed up for our hot tub and pool time. Imagine our disappointment when we entered the pool room and the spa was cemented in!!! Why are the photos still showing it being active?? I'd like a free room certificate, or at least a partial refund. And please update your website! The clerk didn't offer any resolutions at all. And the pillows are not of good quality about the size of a sofa pillow, glad we brought our own.
Just like name says it's the best. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are always clean and comfortable. The whole place from rooms to lobby to outside is always clean and inviting. I only stay there if you havent stayed there before atleast try it once you want be disappointed.
I did enjoy my stay here. Free Coffee is the best! Complimentary breakfast does the trick to get your day started. The bed was super comfy. Everything worked well. I enjoyed the handicapped room even though I didn't need it.
Nice, quiet, and clean hotel with decent breakfast and indoor heated pool. Rooms are very large with a couch. The only complaint I have is the rooms are not very sound proof, we could definitely hear people in the hallway.
Quick summary: a clean, quiet, comfortable room that is suite-like with a sofa area as well as 2 beds. Friendly, professional service. Cooked breakfast or grab-and-go. To note: this is a wonderful property for its class, i.e. I am NOT comparing it to a 5-star resort. Still, like many Best Western Plus properties, there are many amenities: microwave, fridge, iron/bard, a number of drawers for your stuff, and more described below. We stayed in room #325 - two very comfortable queen beds, a sofa a coffee table, good-sized work desk. The bathroom has a tub/shower combination. Plenty of good towels, etc. Spacious stone counter top leaves a good room to stash your personal stuff. The complimentary toiletries include shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. (I LOVE a real tub at the end of a long day -- get off my feet.) Very clean room; good housekeeping. The wifi and HVAC worked well. Even during COVID times, this property offered a cooked breakfast, or grab-and go. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, cereals, English muffins and other pastries, juice. Due diligence: I missed the in-room coffee maker that is usually standard at BW properties, but MIA in my room. Perhaps it was because of COVID, but I've stayed in a number of other BW properties this trip and all had coffee makers. I love getting dressed with coffee. Yes, I could go down to breakfast and bring back coffee to the room. Unfortunately, there were no lids in the breakfast room to put on the coffee cups. Also: in a perfect world, the fan vent in the bathroom would not roar when the light is turned on. Friendly, professional service throughout. Good COVID safety practices, i.e. staff wear masks, encourage social distancing, etc. Nice public rooms. Easy enough to find off the highway. Only downside: there are no restaurants that are an easy walk from teh hotel, but there are a few a quick drive away. This is a second stay at this property in our travels. We'd be happy to stay again.
Great place to lodge if you're looking for a hotel. The staff is very welcoming. The hotel is kept very clean and the breakfast is very good. Full of choices. It's worth every dollar spent. While enjoying this hotel you won't even consider the dollars you've spent. Adding you will be willing to return. Trust me!! YOU WILL❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
This location has very easy access on and off I-75. Check-in was a fast and pleasant experience. The only thing we missed was having a coffee maker available in the room. Hopefully, after a while (Covid) they will return coffee makers to the room. Nice to be able to have coffee in the morning without leaving the room.
Very nice hotel. Easy access from I 75. Friendly staff an the breakfast was nice. Great location near a couple of restaurants within walking distance. We didn't use the pool, however it looked nice. Definitely will stay there again.
Totally recommend this hotel. Brightly lit, neat and clean exterior (felt safe during my stay). Large lobby with efficient, courteous staff. Spacious, spotless room and nice complimentary hot breakfast. Check out was easy. Just drop your key off at the front desk. No checkout paperwork needed.
We stayed here during Supercross at Atlanta motor Speedway. It was a decent rate and there is a lot around the area to do and eat. Their pool is working, however you have to sign up for a one hour time slot with only six people allowed in the pool. If you have less than six people in your party you can write down That you want to be alone or share. So Some sign ups only had two people and they put down alone. So those two people got the pool for one hour by themselves when four more people could've joined in. What a waste of a pool and I know a lot of people missed out on using it. That was probably the biggest drawback.
I chose to stay here because the beds are usually very good and in makes the room worth a little more. Sadly that was not the case. I had the king size suite. As soon as I pulled the sheet back the tears are the 1st thing seen. Didn't realize the Best Western shops 2nd hand stores. Oh wait. even a second hand store would NOT sell torn sheets. Also. Get some new beds. At 100.00 a night your customers deserve much better. Also as I was checking in an older man came down and ask for maintance. The woman working said there was no one there but ask what the problem was. He told her his toilet seat is so loose. He is afraid he might fall. Woman working quickly dismissed his issue by saying, thanks for telling me, I'll let maintenance know in the morning. 1st housekeeping would have noticed, shame on them for not saying anything 2nd He should have been moved to another room! They were not full. Customer service here leaves a lot to be desired if you treat your guests this way. I will pass on this Best Western on all future trips.
If you're looking for a very clean Hotel wonderful staff with every commodity you need then you have found it at Best Western in McDonough. I absolutely had a perfect stay. Really love their breakfast
We were very pleased with everything concerning our stay at BestWestern Mcdonough. Despite our arriving past midnight, the desk clerk made us welcome. There was security on premises. Our room was what I would call oversized. The facility is well managed, the room was clean AND quiet. The soundproofing was above average. Staff we dealt with was courteous. Breakfast was good. We would not hesitate to stay again.
Always nice and friendly staff, Cindi and Bethany are great hosts... Rooms are always clean, beds are comfortable, and no over bearing cleaning product smells. We stay here weekly, because it's the best hotel so far for the price.
Great, friendly easy check in. Exceptionally clean. Large room. Affordable price. Full breakfast. Still a little nervous about eating from a buffet. It was very nasty. Had something for everyone. My husband and myself were very pleased with everything. Definitely will stay here again and recommend to or family & friends.
My room was large and the bed comfortable. Very clean. The staff and service very friendly. Free breakfast was standard fare. I highly recommend. There was immediate locations to eat as well as some others a little farther away.
Returning to Michigan from Hilton Head Island and pulling a 12 ft cargo trailer. We wanted a clean comfortable stay and found just what we needed here. No problems parking rig, Friendly Staff, comfortable bed, clean room and Applebee's right next door. Thank You for a great stay!
I am so grateful to have found this place of service in my most fatigue hour. The Guest host, Demetria, was timely with checkin and I was able to get the rest I so needed from driving all day. The rates were great, and customer service was superb. Thank you for your hospitality. I'd recommend based off that alone!
This hotel is usually one we would not consider. Being on the orad and having stped earlier in the day, we had to stay somewhere and with our preferred brands booked, we opted for a late night stop here. The check in was great, we received an inside room (they have outward facing doors on the 1st floor) and we made it to our room. The room was ok, the sink is in the entry immediately upon entering, interesting choice, and very functional. The tub area was a bit dated, but great water pressure and hot! The room was a bit older style, which was expected, but well appointed and clean. The only draw back, is we had a rude visitor nextdoor, and with no soundproofing, had to listen to their TV volume - arguably on the highest level - for severl hours, not waining until at least midnight. These same cads turned on some jungle type music (lots of repeating drums) at 5AM, again at the highest volume, it was turned off around 630, certainly this wwas due to complaints - or maybe the fools left. Anywya, not a restful night do to this noise, and we did not complain - point being, the room is not soundproofed and you may wind up with some idiot next door as we did. We did not see the breakfast buffet, too tired! LOL. But I am sure it was fine. They really seem to be trying to give the best available that they have. I would certainly stay here when passing through, only next time I may have to call the desk if the noise is this bad.
We needed an overnight stopping point on our trip home from Florida. This hotel served that purpose. By far the best thing about our stay was the young lady, Bethany, working the front desk. She was helpful and friendly and went out of her way to make our stay pleasant.
We really want to thank the whole staff for all they did to make our stay great! We were there for the races and will be back in July for the next weekend of races. Thank you again from Bryan and Kim :-)
Nice employees, clean room, great breakfast!!! Enjoyed the heated pool, but said there was a hot tub and there wasn't only disappointment. Would stay again!!! Has great rewards, make sure and sign up for the rewards program!! Close to restaurants to walk to also. Definitely recommend!!
Excellent clean large room. Perfect location with all amenities. Nice indoor pool. Good restaurants nearby within walking distance. Good hot breakfast included. Staff very attentive and polite. Felt very safe with staff and guests wearing masks.
Our stay was surprisingly pleasant. We stayed for 2 nights while visiting family. The front desk staff were friendly and competent. The housekeeping staff were pleasant and would speak to you when they passed you. The bacon was so crispy. I would certainly stay here again.
Quick check-in with a very pleasant staff. No problems with any of the amenities except for lack of quality in the breakfast items. Guests look forward to the coffee and what I was given was a hot cup of water and no interest from staff to make new. Good thing McDonalds was close by.
Stayed one night on a trip to FL -- convenient/easy access to I-75, just south of Atlanta, nicely decorated, clean, comfortable. Desk associates were friendly and helpful. Would be great to have designated parking for larger vehicles pulling trailers, but we figured it out.
Would definitely recommend this hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was spacious & clean, & the buffet breakfast had many choices with the hot food deliciously prepared! Hats off to the staff! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.
It was an om hotel would have done a 5 but when you use a card and book they do a pre charge on your card for the full charge then when you check out they charge you agian as a full charge and tell you to wait on your bank which takes 3 to 5 days. No one told me of this when checking in I would have used cash. No hot tub any more
My wife and I stay here on the way up to hike the North Georgia mountains. It was easy to find off of the interstate. Check in was easy. The staff was friendly. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfortable. They are still serving hot breakfast which was great. So much better then a bag. The breakfast lady was very friendly.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus hotel in McDonough, GA, on two separate nights while driving to and from Florida in late January and early February 2021. It is a great hotel. I recommend it and would stay there again. I was with my family, including two young kids, who loved the indoor pool. It has a better than average breakfast, including some hot items. The room was large, with two queen beds and a pull-out couch. It was very clean, surprisingly inexpensive compared to comparable hotels, and has a friendly staff. Most people obeyed the hotel's COVID mask policy; hand sanitizer was located in the lobby and breakfast area. Overall, very nice stay.
We had a nice stay overall, however, the condition of the bathroom was not acceptable. The toilet was loose on the floor and the door hinges squeaked, which was disturbing at night. The positives included a great room layout, good electrical access, good AC/heat system, pleasant front desk personnel, and a very nice breakfast.
We were greeted by the friendly desk clerk & quickly got checked in. The room was clean, beds very comfortable, & we felt safe on the grounds. Breakfast was delicious & covid-19 precautions were used! We will be back!
I had mixed feelings about my stay which is why I rated it a 3. The parking lot is well lit. The hotel is in a convenient area, but there's a lot of traffic around there. The main road off the highway was very congested. Lots of food choices around. There is an Applebees and tex-mex place right next door. Gas stations nearby as well. I had a room at the end of the hall facing the parking lot and Applebees. The room was very spacious. Bathroom is in need of remodeling. The pillows were rock hard, so I didn't sleep well. I heard the vehicle traffic throughout the night as well as emergency vehicles. Some of the guests thought it was okay to talk at the end of the hall on speakerphone during the night. I was in the bathroom and someone was trying to get in my room. I didn't get out there in time and when I opened the door, no one was there. I assume it was the maintenance person because the door actually opened. I did have the bar across it which kept them from coming in. I immediately reported it to front desk and they came right up. The room also had a funky smell to it. I reported it to front desk as well. She brought up a difuser which helped to some degree. I didn't get the lady's name, but she was really helpful. About 10-10:30pm I had a teenager knocking on my door. Normally you can find extra pillows and a blanket in the closet, but none were to be found. I was a bit cold during the night. Maybe they didn't have those there because of COVID. It was around 10pm and didn't want to bother the front desk at that poin.
I was very surprised at how big the room was and very clean and front desk rep was very friendly over all stay was great. The smoke detector battery was dying and the maintenance man came quickly and fixed the issue
I've stayed here a couple of times before. The hotel is located in a good location. The staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and quiet. We were even served a delicious hot breakfast.
I really enjoyed myself there. Neat environs and the lady at the front desk was extra nice. The only downside was the breakfast. They didn't have variety of food on there. In all I will recommend this for anybody who wants to spend time outside home
Place is located in a good area. Staff always very friendly and have stayed here many times with only one problem. Only down side is people in the area using the parking lot for drug deals late at night
I enjoyed my stay but there was no hot tub in the pool area and the beds seemed small. The room was clean although the cleaning staff did not clean our room and leave us fresh towels one day. I would stay here again in the future.
We've stayed here twice now and will continue to make it a regular stop on our way from Indiana to our kid's home in Savannah. Super clean and the people working there are great! I can't recommend it highly enough.
Everything about our stay was awesome from the staff to just the hotel cleanliness itself awesome...We would definitely stay there again.. Everyone was so helpful during our stressful time...We were buying a house and that was one thing that made our transition successful..
We were on our way to Atlanta to visit the Aquarium, and found this nice hotel just 30min outside the downtown area. Very clean, comfortable beds, & considering Covid restrictions we thought grab n go breakfast was good. We did not visit the pool, but you did have to sign up for a time slot to ensure social distancing. Highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here on the way down to Disney. Older rooms that could use some updates, but fairly clean. Our room was at the end of the hall on the third floor. Very strong smell of detergent in the hallway due to laundry area very close. Front desk personnel friendly. Breakfast very limited due to Covid (honey buns, oatmeal packets, cereal cups, and bananas). No individual containers of milk or juice. Applebee's and a Mexican restaurant next door.
I stayed with my two children while on a road trip. This hotel is close to I-75. The room was big and clean. The staff was very friendly. The kids had fun in the pool, and the breakfast had lots of choices.
Very clean hotel, inside and out. The room was great. Front desk clerk was very nice. The breakfast was good. Plenty to choose from. BW does very good dealing with Covid. We were very happy. Will stay here next year on the way from MI to FL.
Was pleasantly surprised by the nice room we had at a reasonable price. This motel had all the amenities we would expect from a luxury motel costing twice as much. The complimentary breakfast was better than expected during the Coronavirus pandemic. We will stay there again any time we require a motel room within 50 miles of McDonough.
We stayed here Sept 25, I booked online beforehand, should have called to see what their protocols were and not just depended on what I read on the main BW site. We were all very disappointed that none of the staff we saw that evening were masked nor were the guests. There was no Covid 19 signage seen whatsoever nor was there any indication that our room had stayed sanitized once it had been cleaned previously. This is a hotel off a main highway with guests coming from all over the country. If they weren't concerned for the safety & health of their guests, they should at least be concerned for that of their staff. Yes, as someone previously posted there were partitions, however there were also 2 counters completely without. I will say that in the morning when we were checking out all staff members we saw were masked except one. I now know when we are travelling home to call the resort to see what their protocols are and not just see what the corporate site says.
Had to stay because of my mom's septic pump being broke and the staff was wonderful! Forgot a few items and needed extra pillows the staff brought them to us immediately. Room was clean and comfortable beds!
Stayed on Sept 25 for 1 night on our way home to Florida. Have stayed here before. Took a chance there were rooms as the parking lot was full and we arrived around 8:45pm. Two ladies at check in were not wearing masks but were seated 6ft apart. There were plastic partitions at the 2 check ins. Got a king room 107. Room was big, plenty of space. Looked clean. No coffee pot in room I assume due to covid. There was a fridge and microwave. There was coffee in the lobby. Who ever laid out the room blew it. The bed was a foot away from the air conditioner. We had to turn off the air conditioner so I wouldn't blow on me at night. So by the time we got up in the morning it was getting stuffy in the room. The bed and couch should have been switched in the room. We have stayed at this hotel before and can't remember the room set up like that. If this is a concern ask to see the room before paying for it. They offered grab and go bags but they also offered food in packages so they tried to offer a better breakfast so I appreciate the effort. Hopefully the hot breakfast will be back once covid is gone. I would stay here again.
I only stayed one night but the experience could've been a little better. Pros: Friendly staff and spacious room. Cons: conch in the room looked old and needed repair, too much noise activity outside of my room from outside the hotel. Location of the room was horrible, bottom floor by the exit.
Tried two rooms at ground level both smelled like mildew...manager mike didn't even wanna get off his ass to say sorry or offer apology for the inconvenience or a credit or comp for all the run around...finally after 30 to 40 minutes of run around I found a decent room on the 3rd floor...accountability,leadership,and hard work are important....to mike the supposed manager.... u possess none of these qualities
The room was clean, staff helpful and friendly, and great location. The grab and go breakfast was a nice perk and included choice of cereal or bagle as well. Everything appeared well taken care of and cleaned appropriately.
The hotel is clean and neat. The front desk clerk was friendly at check-in. Overall, it's a pretty nice hotel. This is where the "Buts" come in. But...the elevator door motor is worn and the door makes so much noise you can hear it down the hall when it's opening and closing 2 doors away. Our room was directly across the hall from it and it was so noisy we had to leave the HVAC fan running constantly to dampen some of the noise so we could sleep. At that, it still wasn't much help. Add to that guests banging on doors and talking loudly for over an hour between 1:00 & 2:00 AM and we got almost no sleep. Additionally, noise carries in the structure. Someone allowing their door to close normally half the length of the hotel made enough noise to wake us even with the AC running. The next morning we asked for compensation but the property manager wasn't on site and wouldn't speak to us directly. We got little satisfaction and no rest. We won't be back
I am a Best Western member and have stayed at several locations, this location was well maintained, staff was friendly and hotel was clean. We didn't use the pool or gym due to Covid 19; pool area quite nice
Has always been one of our favorite stops on our way to visit in Indiana. Staff is always pleasant and accommodating..Rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Bedding is also clean, and we always get a good night's sleep. For you smokers, there is a smoking area with seating, in back, next to the pool,
No running bath water, no business center. Old dusty computer and printer with no ink that front desk told us we will have to figure it out. She wasn't sure if it was working. Old torn furniture. Loud bathroom light and Loud AC unit that barely blew air. Mold smell not fresh.
The Best Western Plus at McDonough GA is a quietly tucked away hotel. You are met with a nice , modern lobby and friendly staff. The room was spacious and clean. The facility has an INDOOR POOL and small outdoor patio in back!
Though clean, comfortable, and good location they did not follow the Covid-19 protection protocol set by Best Western corporate.. Best Western corporate assured all members that certain protocols would be followed for ALL Best Western hotels. All non essential items were to be removed from lobbies and rooms. This is to include pamphlets, magazines in the lobby. Bed scarves, coffee makers, pens, writing paper, decorative pillows were to be removed from the room. This was not done
I truly appreciate the cleanliness of this hotel. My room was spotless. I had to of course have my disinfectant always because of the Era we live in. Best Western Plus was an amazing hotel to rest in.
Was moving from Tennessee to Florida. Was getting very tired of the rain and accidents. Traffic backups also. Found your hotel on line, called and asked about 2 rooms for my family and I ( 7 people total). Was accommodated right away. Thank you so much for being there in our time of need.
I have saved a business card for over a year and finally decided to write the review. We just wanted to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Sandra. Sandra works in the breakfast area. She is an EXCEPTIONAL service person. She went out of her way to welcome everyone, keep all the food supplied, and make sure everyone had what they needed. We truly feel like she made our family priority, but I'm sure others felt the same... She is an incredible assets to BW. Thank you Sandra for making our week long Georgia trip more enjoyable by starting our morning out at a continental breakfast feel more like breakfast with a friend. You are AMAZING!
Certainly a very nice clean and comfortable hotel it's a modern building so it is nice. Due to the current circumstances they do have a pool breakfast and gym but that's all closed for the moment. Rooms are very large and spacious king size bed very comfortable bathroom a little compact for the size of the room. All in all a great stay and would happily stay again
Very clean comfortable room and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We had driven all day and had an issue with our on line reservation which staff straightened out for us. Will definitely stay here again.
I booked a king room and prior to my arrival I received a call letting know of an issue with the room. They asked if I would be ok with upgrading my room. The fact that they called me and took care of the issue before I arrived was wonderful. Excellent customer service. Breakfast was great. Ms. Sharon was very friendly and attentive to the breskfast area. I will definitely stay again.
Had difficulty with expedia booking and lady at the desk was so kind and patient. A group of train engineers were reviwing for an exam in a corner of the lobby with power point. Thought how nice for them to be able to do that here. Heated pool was fantastic. Laid back congeniality. Breakfast buffet included chicken cutlets with the eggs. Staff in charge of buffet kept the serving dishes hot and full. Facility was clean and comfortable as home.
We use this hotel every year on our way to Florida. We've always been happy staying there, till this year. Booking a few months in advance, we didn't expect a situation like this, ever. We were placed in a converted meeting room. A large but unappealing room. The bed was a murphy bed, so with the panels open, we couldn't have the use of a night stand to view the clock, or for other uses. I didn't like a micro oven sitting on top of a bar fridge up against a wall either. I asked reception for a different room, but they said for another $27.00 US. they could arrange this for me. I declined that offer as I never had to pay extra for a room that I booked in good faith. I don't know if we will return to this hotel again.
I was on my way to Florida and needed a place to rest after getting through Atlanta. This hotel is easy to get to from the interstate. The staff is welcoming and kind. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast!
We were visiting friends and arrived fairly late on Saturday night. Although we were tired and cranky after a never ending drive from Texas, the receptionist was very professional and friendly. She gave us a great room away from the rest of the guests so we wouldn't be disturbed: she was a star. Room was very clean and neat, and had everything we needed and wanted. Breakfast was par for the class of hotel but still very welcoming. I'd recommend it to anyone.
Excellent service, clean facility, nice breakfast choices, great value, and friendly staff. WiFi strength needs to be improved in order for me to stay again. Facility also needs an upgraded elevator and maybe an additional elevator.
Bed were so soft, so were pillows, staff was friendly and help out on food options, maids cleaned room fast and always changed the bed sheets. Breakfast was always ready by 6 and was delicious. I liked how the hotel was not on a main road, there is a racetrac gas station, and a lot of restaurants around the hotel. The rooms are huge, and also they have a indoor pool. The gym could be bigger and cleaner. Walmart is across the street from the hotel so it's convenient to get the things you need. The hotel is great, I was considered about how cheap it cost but it's definitely a great hotel.
This hotel was in a great location as we travelled home from a vacation in Florida. It was easy to access from interstate 75. The hotel was in a location that offered affordable gas for refueling. An Applebee's and a Mexican restaurant were next door to the hotel and within an easy walk from the hotel. The hotel was clean and very nicely decorated. Coffee and fruit infused water was available in the lobby. The internet worked well and the room was very clean and very large. The parking lot was well lit and convenient to the rooms. We enjoyed our breakfast and the food was fresh and plentiful. Sandra kept the room clean and food replenished. This was a great stay for a stop on our way home.
We choose Best Western whenever possible and recentlybecame rewards members. . Great rates for the amenities and clean comfortable rooms! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was more than expected!
We just spent hours driving from Florida after a few days stay visiting Universal Orlando and were in search of accommodation where we can spend the night before proceeding to the next leg of our journey. Having found a coupon from one of the rest areas we've stopped at, we decided to go for Best Western Plus at McDonough. We were not disappointed. In fact, we were pleased that it was such a clean and vibrant looking hotel, in a very good location closed to Applebees and other dining options. There's even a Walmart close by where we can shop for a few items. The free breakfast was also quite adequate. We had a really good stay and for sure, will put this on our list if we ever find ourselves travelling along I-75 again and needed a place to rest for the night. We felt safe here and well-rested.
The staff was amazing! The beds were so comfy I had to ask what brand so I could find I e for my home! Clean and comfortable no overwhelming smells of cleaners or left over stinky. Solid shower with a lot of force!
The Staff here is Amazing! You know how everyone likes complementary Breakfast... I must say besides the Awesome front desk Staff, Ms Sandra on the Kitchen Staff is 1 of a kind! I mean She's GOD'S Gift to a Kitchen!!! Love You all & I'll most definitely be back to visit! Thanks to the clean up crew, the front desk Staff & especially Ms.Sandra!!!
This Best Western has comfy beds, a decent breakfast and spacious rooms with mini fridge, microwave, etc. Bathtub/shower combo was small but typical with no place to put your stuff. Room was clean, bathroom was clean. No external sink or makeup area so you have to deal with the steam from the shower and limited space in the bathroom. Also, for a Best Western Plus, I expect plush soft towels. These were not. Very scratchy. Had a little indoor pool and workout room. If your in town for a couple of days, it was located near a good variety of stores and restaurants. Applebees was right next door.
Extended stay of two weeks, friendly staff, and breakfast, pool and clean quiet rooms. Easy access to dining, and highways. Well lit parking area, and ample parking. nice pool and breakfast buffet each day
Great stop for the night. Felt like an expensive hotel for bargain price. Hotel employees were friendly & caring. We plan to go to Best Western Plus Hotel no matter where we travel to. The breakfast was perfect and catering staff greeted us as we dined.
The room is affordable, beds are comfortable, room very clean, staff accommodating, breakfast great, convenient and next door to Applebee's and Mexican Restaurant, walking distance. Walmart and interstate, as well as many restaurants, just minutes away.
The location is perfect, very close to I-75 but just far enough away that you don't have direct traffic or road noise. There is an Applebees next door and a Mcdonalds close as well. I found my room clean and the staff very friendly. The person making breakfast obviously cares about their work, it was fantastic! I will stay here again if ever in Mcdonough.
The hotel was very bright, clean and well decorated upon entry. The setup was nice to get to our room. The room was very nice and clean... spacious and it was exactly like the pictures online. The room was clean and everything was in working order. I would love to stay here again and I would highly recommend it to others.
Definitely worth staying here, room was huge, beds were comfortable, breakfast was good. I was surprised at how nice this hotel was. Was looking for a mid range hotel and this is definitely on the upper end of that.
I have stayed at this hotel for the past 7 years. I have never had a bad incident at this establishment. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The grounds are always kept up good. The rooms are always very clean and comfortable. The price is always comparable.
My Fiancée decided that we needed a mini vacation, so he booked a room at our favorite hotel. Since our last stay they've remodeled which was a surprise to us both. The staff was friendly and professional as always and we were especially happy to see Tyana. If you're looking for a great place to stay this hotel is definitely the one.
The hotel is nice and the breakfast was good but I stayed on the first floor and there were ants in the room and on the bed nearest the window. Also since I was on the first floor I smelled the exhaust from the breakfast every morning which smelled like smoke. The iron had rusty water in it and we couldn't use it. They changed the sheets and sprayed some sort of pesticide that was stifling I guess to kill the ants. Although they replaced the iron and changed the sheets I still felt yucky. Besides the ants and the smell of exhaust we had a nice stay. Wish we were offered something for the inconvenience. We squeezed in the other bed for the remainder of our stay.
We got in at 10:30 pm after a 12 hour drive. Staff was very friendly, room nice and clean. Lots of baggage carts, unloaded and hit the room. Needed ice, ice machines only on second and third floors, second floor died earlier that day. Took the elevator to the third flor, ice machine worked great. TV channels good, mainly for ESPN and Weather channel. Bed was nice, room was quiet, slept well. Breakfast the next morning was very nice, hot and with meat and great scrambled eggs with (again) very friendly staff. This is where we will stay again next year.
Found this hotel as it was about half way for our journey, very welcoming staff, great room very clean, good pool to refresh. Next to a Applebee's no need to move the car that evening. Very good hot breakfast. Would highly recommend this hotel.
our Hilton Head ladies softball team stayed overnight. The rooms are clean, service is great and breakfast also has waffles! We enjoyed the pool after our game, missed the hot tub, but not their fault, new county law prohibiting hot tubs. Thanks !!
Great Service, very clean rooms, good breakfast selection for a free complementary breakfast. Just one of the nicest places In have stayed while traveling. I recommend this BW to any traveler for any type of travel
Hotel was decent; Todd was really nice and tried his best to be helpful however management, namely Talisha is very rude and not willing to help. This hotel charged my card that was on file for two rooms I booked. At time of checkin, I chose to use another method of payment. Essentially the initital card should not have been charged OR just reverse the charges. One charge was credited, to date the other has not been. Its been almost 4 months!!!!!! Not happy. I want my refund and some sort of compensation for my troubles.
Room was on the second floor a very quiet area. Handy to Atlanta if you are sightseeing. Also good if you are traveling back to Florida's west coast.the hotel is on route 75 just south of Atlanta which keeps you out of the early morning traffic.
Staff is great! Rooms are very comfortable..coffee, 24/7, which is good for us.. elevator is a little slow.. everything is very very clean..breakfast is good.. . And this is our "go to" motel in McDonough!
Stay here on our way to Florida, very modern hotel with great amenities. Location was nice had 3 restaurants within walking distance it was nice not to have to get back in the car for dinner. Breakfast was delicious and the room was spacious. Staff was friendly would definitely recommend and stay here again.
Arrived from Jacksonville Fl, to get out of the path of Dorian, the Staff at ck in, immediately asked us if we were there do to the hurricane, very nice, they were very pleasant made us feel welcomed, always greeted us with a smile, Beds comfortable, only 1 request, housekeeping should ck the coffee maker. We cked out early with no penalties, THANK YOU. will definitely reccomend this property.
This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The room was very spacious with a comfortable bed. Clean bathroom with quality soap, shampoo, and conditioner, thirsty towels and a hairdryer. The continental breakfast stayed stocked well and there was plenty of room for patrons to eat. Non-Smoking facility with an 11 p.m. noise ordinance.
Hotel is in a good location to explore the area. Rooms are clean but dated. Did not care for the carpet and the sofa. Did like the bed.very comfortable. Breakfast was okay. The designated area was to small for the large crowds. The staff could barely keep the food replenished. In summation. our two night .stay was fine
Storage room class room was issued as room. Employee advised room was used for class room or storage.Bed was pulled out of wall not a normal bed. Spider webs on walls we cleaned off. When talked to employee about room condition, offered no exchange.
I'm very picky about hotels and will read reviews for days before I book. This hotel was very nice. Only thing I would suggest is more options for breakfast. The room was cozy and I got a good price. I was in town for my dads funeral and they made sure I enjoyed my stay as best as possible.
My daughter enjoyed her bday sleepover with a couple of friends Check in was easy breezy. The pool stayed open until 11pm. And there are quite a bit of eateries close by. The room was big, spacious, and clean. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, my hotel stay wasn't bad at all. Will stay again!
The outside was clean as was the inside. The hotel room was clean and the beds were very nice. The staff was very nice too! The breakfast had a nice selection and it wasn't bad. We were happy with our stay!!
We booked two rooms at this location and we were not informed of their 4 pm cancellation policy. Mind you, the rooms been had booked the same day at approximately 3pm. After going back and forth with Best Western customer relations, it was ultimately determined that the charges would stay and that corporate would always abide with the hotel. My issue here is that: 1. Is there a consistent cancellation policy that as a consumer we can follow or are left at the mercy of the hotel management? 2. If you have an issue with Best Western be prepared NOT to be dealt with in a proper manner. 3. The desk clerk at the hotel DID not inform us of their 4 pm cancellation policy. In all, Best Western will not longer be a Hotel that my company will use or my family will use in our future travels. Thank you
We enjoyed a great stay and great breakfas. We would highly recommend this hotel. It was nice to be in a safe, restful hotel after a long days drive. Even better with an Applebees restaurant next to this hotel.
Great stay. First time staying at this location. Friendly staff at check in and check out. Checked in late pm checked out early am. Will more than likely stay here again when on business in the McDonough area
This is a really nice hotel!! It was clean and comfortable!! Spacious room!! The staff was very friendly and helpful!! I will definitely be going there again when visiting the area!! The pool was very nice. We used it 2 or 3 times a day. There's a small area outside the pool where my grandson played with his remote control cars.
I had a great stay. I was surprised because I usually stay at Hilton or Marriott. So the next trip I will consider staying at another Best Western Plus. Hopefully I will experience the same kind of hospitality I received at this location.
I booked through Hotels.com for a 2 night stay on July 19th. Check in was flawless. I asked what time is Breakfast served and was told it ends at 9:30am. I woke up late at 9:10am, called the front desk to recheck and was told breakfast ends at 10am. I assumed I had time to shower. However when I arrived breakfast was over and there was only some fruit and bread. Thanks to staff member, Ms. Sandra, who found us some boiled eggs and offered to have an omelet made gor me. When we returned to our room, it appeared to already been cleaned but the bed had not been changed. The same ink stained pillow case on my pillow from the night before. Mixed Review because I would still recommend this hotel. The kindness of the staff and willingness to assist outweigh the other incidents. B. McCain
The room smelled of mildew and did not have working WiFi. When I went to report this to the staff at the front desk, she told me there were no more rooms and that my device was the issue then walked away. Rude and dismissive and offered zero help.
Front desk people are great. My shower head was broke and sprayed everywhere. At 830 pm I went to front desk and complained. At 845 pm I had a replacement ( not a good one but it worked for 4 am shower) when I got back to my room I had the best shower head and shower in months. Great service.
We called to make a reservation & spoke with Todd P. @ the front desk. He was very knowledgeable and helpful, going out of his way to ensure our experience was a good one. The rooms were all very modern and luxurious. When we arrived early, the lady at the front desk was very pleasant and even switched our room from the 3rd floor to pool side on the 1st floor. Breakfast was also a nice surprise, with a lot of variety to choose from. We will definitely be booking here again !! Great times with fun in the sun! L.M.
Super clean, very spacious room, good location and extremely pleasant staff. Best hotel experience of our roadtrip and probably the best hotel in this class/price range in many years of summer family travel!!
Our family goes to Disney every summer and we always stop at Exit 218 off I75 to rest and go to Zaxbys. This hotel was on booking.com and Priceline. Really nice hotel renovated. Big rooms. 2 queen size beds with couch Very nice and updated. Front desk staff genuine and friendly. Lobby is very nice. Pool and hot tub with a free breakfast. This is our go to stop from now on. No need to try any other facility.
I can'nt wait to share to all my friends/relatives who travel from Atl,Savannah,Mobile,SC and Florida need to stay at this place. The clerk at the desk let me know that I was double chg on my card and she explained why. I thanked her for giving me heads up. The employees were professional and kind. They gave great customer service. My room was spacious, clean and smelled pleasant.
My kids and I stayed for one night. It is close to a lot of restaurants and stores. It was clean and everyone was very friendly. The room was spacious. My kids really enjoyed the pool. We would absolutely stay again.
We recently stayed for two nights here and loved every minute of it. Check in was a breeze, the staff was warm and friendly when we got there. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The hotel was close to everything so getting around was easy. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is very clean. The front desk agents are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is good too. Location is quiet and easy to get to. I would recommend this hotel. The price was very reasonable.
We are definitely marking this hotel down for our future pit stop on our way to the mountains. It was right off the highway. It had a pool for the kids, restaurant right beside it, nice rooms, and soft beds. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning before we took off. Very friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay. We will be revisiting this hotel again.
Everyone my Dad and I found a jewel when we checked in here. We had stayed in a horrible hotel the previous night so you can imagine how relieved we were to get here! They staff was warm and friendly. Room clean and fresh. Breakfast was delicious and Sandra the hostess of the food made sure we were well taken care of. At most hotels the food is edible but not necessarily good but here it was delicious as well. A couple negatives 1) the water turned brownish red on our last day there. 2) the towels feel like sand paper! That's it. Thank you for making my dad and I a home away from home.
I was very happy with every aspect of my stay at this property. The staff was excellent and the property was clean. Josh and Cathy were wonderful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. If you end up in Valdosta, Georgia, give it a try.
We've traveled a lot & we were very impressed with this hotel! Clean, the hotel & rooms have been remodeled! Comfortable beds! Lots of pillows & very clean. All employees we came in contact with were very friendly! Sweet lady in the morning with breakfast! Definitely recommend.
the rooms were clean and very large, and the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and there's a great hot breakfast. There are some not-so-great hotels In this area, so this was a great find. I would stay here again!
They have definitely made some upgrades here and it is a nice place off the highway to stay. A wonderful hotel for the price. I would recommend if you are passing through. If you are needing to explore the area I would recommend the other side of the highway to stay as it is a whole lot nicer than this side of the highway.
Slightly off the beaten 'motel' path but justenough for superb quieness. Efficient and courteous staff. Breakfas room very clean and food very good. Great start for any expected great day. Rooms comfortble and clean.
Very friendly staff, great rooms and great free breakfast. The rooms were clean and the price was great. Just passing through on our way home but would be a great place to spend more time. The Mexican restaurant next door was delicious also.
We have grown to love stopping at this Best Western as we travel back from Indiana to Florida. It is always clean, the staff is friendly and it is located close to a number of food options. This will continue to be our hotel of choice.
This hotel is the best! Everyone is so friendly! The staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff were all great. The room was nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. They have a very nice breakfast available with scrambled eggs, bacon and biscuits, etc. to make your own waffles. I highly recommend this hotel.
Room was clean, furnishings were modern and up to date and it was quiet. Front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great; a cut above any “budget “ hotel. Like I said in the title; you should not drive past this hotel if it is time for an overnight stop.
Quick summary: clean, very comfortable room. Very good hot and cold breakfast. Friendly, professional service. Very good value. We often stay at Best Westerns for the room comfort and good value, and this location really impressed. Room 118 had 2 queen beds and a sitting room area with a sofa, large desk, chest with tree big drawers. Lighting where you wanted it. Lots of pillows and fresh, quality bed linens. Quiet rooms - no trouble sleeping. The bathroom had a shower/tub, toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soaps) and good counter space where you could spread out. In-room coffee maker, fridge, microwave, and iron/board. No room safe (many BW don't have them.) The complimentary wifi worked well, and there were a number of well-placed electrical outlets to plug in and recharge your devices. Nice selection of TV channels. Spotless housekeeping. MANY compliments of the breakfast buffet. There were hot and cold items - scrambled eggs, sausages, make-your-own waffles, biscuits & gravy, etc. and cereals, breads pastries, fruit, juices. To note - the coffee was GOOD!! My usual complain with BW breakfasts is that the coffee is not strong enough, but this location got it right! There was a nice-looking pool, but we were just passing through and had no time to enjoy it. a family looked like they were having a good time when we returned from dinner. Friendly, professional staff in every way. Not too far off I-75. Assortment of restaurants in the area. To sum: a very good stay that sets the BW standard of a very comfortable stay and good value. It definitely deserves the "Plus" rating. We'd be happy to stay hre again if we are in the area (we were driving back north from Florida.)
This place made us feel like VIP! Everything was perfect from check-in to room cleanliness and quality to all the amenities to checkout. Couldn't find one thing to complain about. 10 Star all the way!
From the very first conversation with Todd Parker I knew we were in good hands. He and Cherry Williams ensured that we were taken care of and we appreciated them. They have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were happy.
Hotel is in a great location with a variety of places to eat nearby. The breakfast at the hotel was good and I like the extended hours (ending at 9:30) giving me time to sleep in. The housekeeping staff was friendly and kept a smile. Great value for the price. I'm sure I'll be back.
Best & well maintained breakfast offering ever! Hotel is very clean! Beds are the most comfortable ever! Friendly and most accommodating staff! Earline provides the phenomenal breakfast buffet with lots of smiles & friendly conversation! We've never had a bad experience or anything except the most welcoming staff.
Nicely appointed room. Not fancy; but comfortable. Slept very well. Entire hotel was nicely quiet. Lobby/reception area was well-appointed and lit without being in a glare. Staff was smiling, extremely courteous and caring. Quick check-in / check-out reasonable rates.
Stayed one night on our way to Florida. Check in was extremely slow, like 20 minutes. Really didn't appreciate that after an 8 hour drive with two kids in the back seating arguing all the way there. The lobby looked nice as well as the suite we stayed in with the exception of the bathroom. Dirty tub, hair from previous guests in it, and didn't drain properly. Had to shower in 2 feet deep standing water- yuck! There was also several patches of plaster on the bathroom walls to cover up holes. Breakfast was just ok- not a lot of options and dining area is pretty small. Would not stay here again.
Staff was very accommodating both while making reservations and upon our arrival. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was very good!! This our second time staying here while traveling home from Florida and we will return. Very good value!!
Great location next to restaurants, easy access to major highways. Very efficent staff with a very good selection for breakfast. Excellent pool and hot tub with chairs and tables for relaxation. Well equipped work out room .
My family of 3 stayed here when we were in town for a softball tournament. This Best Western hit all the marks! Clean inside and out, large rooms, comfy beds, decent water pressure, friendly staff, convenient location, and the breakfast was fabulous! I will definitely stay here again if I'm in the area.
Stayed at the Best Western Plus recently with my daughter. She thoroughly enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. The room was clean, beds comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was GREAT! The price was perfect!
The hotel room (king suite) was not as inviting as some of the other hotels we stayed at during this trip. The bed was fine but a little hard for my taste. The lighting was a harsh florescent light that was not relaxing at all. The worst part though was the STRONG smell of cleaner or deodorizer. While the room was clean, if someone is sensitive to scents, it would have been intolerable. I am not usually affected by smells but it was over the top. The check in process was really fast and the front desk was professional and friendly. The pool was exceptional with a nice warm temperature that was very welcome after traveling all day. The extended pool hours were really appreciated since we did not arrive until 9 pm. Also, the ice water in the lobby was a fantastic touch and saved me an extra stop before getting back on the road. That little thing made a big difference! Breakfast was really good but I think some extra staff was needed as it was very busy with spring break families eating breakfast on Friday morning so supplies ran short at times. Overall, it was a pleasant experience except for the smell.
We stopped and stayed overnight on our drive down to Florida. We were exhausted from driving. Check in was quick and staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. Very kid friendly, spacious room. The restaurants near by offered 10% off your bill when you showed your room key and were in walking distance. There also was a pool and continental breakfast. Overall great over night stay. Will definitely be back!
We stayed here over the weekend for the JROTC state Drill Meet. I arrived later than the group and the staff was more than accommodating with my late check in. The check in process was easy the staff was so friendly and cheerful. The room was spacious and very clean. We were facing the highway but there was not any traffic noise. We went to the pool, it is kind of small but nice and clean. there was also a little hot tub for adults only. On the side of the pool is a little gym if you want a workout. There was a business office on site but I did not visit it. The breakfast buffet was very good! There was waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, breads, bagels. So many more items it was always very well stocked and the ladies stocking it were very friendly and helpful.
This is a very clean, well maintained hotel. Great pool and hot tub, well, appointed rooms and excellent breakfast. Lots of parking and a couple of good restaurants next door. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional.
A nice clean and friendly hotel. Room was spacious and very clean. The free breakfast had a good choice both hot and cold food. Good position for local restaurants. We were there to attend NASCAR at Georgia Speedway which was very close
We were looking for somewhere not too far from home with an indoor pool for a family Staycation. Randomly picked Bestwestern, but will definitely come back! Awesome staff, Sandra maintained a great breakfast buffet, the pool was perfect, room was clean and had enough room for 2 adults and 4 children. The location was close to expressways and plenty of restaurants choices. Don't sleep on Bestwestern Plus, they are doing a magnificent job!
Hotel is average but location is terrible, right on top of Interstate 75. We reserved room a week ahead of time on the BEst Western site through Trip Advisor and requested a room away from the highway. That request was ignored. What good is a hotel room if the noise is so bad you cannot sleep? Terrible experience. Go elsewhere!
Every time I spoke with a staff member they were attentive, friendly and smiling. My son also loved the people running the business. Also, had elevator near entrance for Handicapped. (ME) Jim Valyo (Rochester, NH)
This hotel was very comfortable, clean, & reasonably priced. The beds were very comfortable, bathroom clean & spacious. The room was quiet & the breakfast was good (though the breakfast area is rather cramped). The hotel is situated right next to an Applebee's. Would highly recommend this Best Western.
Just a-bit south of Atlanta; great location! Only a year old, a beautiful hotel. Great rooms and amenities. Terrific staff upon arrival and checking out the next morning. There are numerous eating places located very close to the inn. Will certainly stay there again on our trips to/from Florida.
This was our third time staying in McDonough Best Western on our way to Florida or way home. Great location. I look for stops that have restaurants within walking distance. There are several close by. Hotel is clean. Front desk staff are helpful. Breakfast room is good.
The place was clean and comfortable and the staff very friendly and professional! The price was very fair! Hot coffee and a very good breakfast was available for everyone. Would stay there again. Was a nice bonus getting a discount at the restaurant next door.
The check-in process was easy and quick. Staff was very pleasant. Rooms were spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Hotel is also pet-friendly. Will definitely recommend to others.
Clean, spacious rooms, comfortable beds with upgraded linens. Generous breakfast with enough of a selection to satisfy anyone. Warm, welcoming staff genuinely concerned with making your stay as comfortable as possible. Will continue visiting this hotel on our trips from Florida.
Clean, well appointed room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great breakfast with plenty of options, many of them warm. We would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it to others.
This hotel goes way beyond your normal hotel. The beds are very comfortable, the staff is spot-on, the breakfast was more than tasty, it was spotless everywhere. When traveling in this area this is the one to stay-in.
Clean hotel. Stayed here many times. Staff always nice. Breakfast was good. Earline was friendly & worked hard to keep items stocked even though there was quite a crowd there. I had sausage gravy & biscuit & it was tasty. Hotel is updated & furnishings are modern. Enjoyed our stay as usual.
First off, our check in was great. We checked in very late (almost 1 am) and the front desk attendant (Cara) almost immediately dropped her evening duties to help our family of five. Cara recognized that we were tired and ready to go to bed. And she made it quick and pleasant —which I think is just as important and knowing when to have a great conversation, and when to make it quick. Our breakfast food was good. But the two lovely ladies, Earline and Sandra made it GREAT. The experience for my children and me was very relaxing and those two ladies worked endlessly making sure the food was stocked, the place was clean and people were happy. And they did a great job. I really hope this review gets to those three ladies, because they certainly deserve it! As I'm sure there's many other workers that make it all possible. Thank you Best Western and your staff.
My husband and I visited this hotel for my birthday, I specifically chose it because of the indoor pool/sauna for me and the free breakfast for my husband. The room was a great size and it was clean, as was the pool/sauna & Sandra was really accommodating at breakfast. We'd definitely go back!
We stopped at the Best Western at McDonough Georgia on our way to Florida. Great room, friendly night staff and breakfast person (shout out for Sandra!). Room rate was good but I was a bit surprised Georgia taxes were so high. We would stay there again.
It was very clean service guest was very welcoming and nice. Very quiet stay. Lots of different places to eat around or near hotel. I would recommend coming back kids loved the indoor pool it was nice
The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the breakfast staff, esp. Sandra, went above and beyond to engage in conversation with me and she asked if I needed anything else. She also greeted me with a smile. I will definitely come again!
I really enjoyed this hotel! The staff were very excellent! The rooms were very neat and clean! The breakfast were good! Housekeeper she was amazing! Hotel is very clean and neat! Receptionist staff is amazing!
This is the second time we've stayed there. Very clean. Employees were excellent and very helpful. Hot breakfast was excellent and we'll stocked and hot. Highly recommend that you stay there if you are passing through the area.
Great Service! A Wonderful continental breakfast that had something for everyone!! Would stay there anytime and the rooms were nice! Great atmosphere and all the staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
Everything started out well with Todd, the assistant manager, assuring me as a Gold card holder that we would have a room with a pull out sofa, as my husband has a bad back and needs to sleep on the pull off mattress on the floor. Todd also assured me our room would be quiet. He said he could see it 'from where I am talking to you in the lobby, it is on the second floor.' NOT. We arrived much later than anticipated due to holiday traffic jams/accidents/delays, at 9pm. We were given a room on the 3rd floor, on the very end. There was NO SOFA BED. There was a sofa. My exhausted husband had to sleep on the floor, with just the bedding from one of the queen beds on top. To make matters worse, when we went down for breakfast at 7am with our 10 year old son, there was a very long line of guests (some coughing!) awaiting their turn for the breakfast buffet line. There was no seating in the breakfast area left. So we went back to our room, returning at 8:34am positive the line had died down and we could have our turn. NOT. The breakfast attendant was very apologetic saying the owner 'usually comes in with more food items but he didn't come in this morning." WHAT? And the hotel was pretty much booked TO CAPACITY as it was Dec 26th and every one was in transit post Christmas. So we left. And we spent an unexpected $14.00 for breakfast at Chick Fil A. My suggestion is to replace all sofas with new sofa beds. And be sure to have the hotel cleaning staff vacuum under/inside the sofa when each guest leaves. GROSS things hide in sofas. My suggestion is to have vouchers for those that are unable to be accommodated for breakfast. My suggestion is to treat GOLD members a little bit kinder and gentler when we have been driving 10 hours. Please don't give our promised room away. That is most likely what happened.
I love everything bout stay .the room was great the pool n the hot was good the bed n comfortable. I slept really well ..I was relaxed . My whole trip was great.. the front desk attendants were great n there customer service was on point .
Great place at a great rate staff was very helpful rooms very clean great breakfast will be back when in the area again. Very accommodating nice pool area and a great business center if your in the area stop in and relax
I had to find a hotel a few weeks ago, while I was in the McDonough,Georgia area, and called all the local hotels. I found that Best Western was the friendliest and their prices were more affordable than most in the area. I loved the cleanliness of the rooms and comfort of the beds. I called front desk to ask about TV remote and it was placed in front of TV, in a pouch saying it had been sterilized, that was a first for me, but I appreciated that they care enough to make sure the room was perfect. Everyone gave me a warm welcome and a friendly smile as I walked through lobby. The free breakfast included was wonderful and front desk made sure I knew about free breakfast and the times. I had to travel back to McDonough, Georgia last week and you better believe I only called and made my reservation with Best Western! Thanks Best Western & Staff! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Great hotel! Everyone was very friendly and Sandra cooked up a bomb breakfast. The pool and hot tub was very nice and enjoyable. Staff was very personable. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quick stay.
We stayed overnight. Clean room, nice room service. Staff was very nice and accomodating. Breakfast was decent. Nice area too, lots of restaurants. If we go back to the area will definitely stay again here.
Excellant Hotel. Room was very Clean, workers were very helpful and friendly, great breakfast.....fresh and hot! My dog was accepted in this hotel and there was a place for him to go outside to the bathroom.
Hotel is Amazing. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean. Real close to food and attractions of McDonough Area. Room attendants professional and Breakfast prepares area very motivated. Will definitely be returning to this hotel for new years
This visit has been absolutely awesome, the staff were very helpful and fun to talk to. Shout out to Sandra for being the best, she takes care of what ever you need and is super friendly. Highly recommend staying here.
Very nice hotel! Friendly, helpful staff, clean and quiet, good breakfast, Applebees and Mesquite Mexican Grill and Bar next door. Room to park my Big Rig (just one!). I've been here before and I'll be back!
Had a great stay there.. rooms was very clean and homie.. the service was outstanding.. the staff was great also. Especially SANDRA. Thanks again and you will be Getting more of my families business..
Staff is friendly and inviting. Greeting each guest with a smile. Helpful when needed. Pleasant attitudes. Sandra is good about keeping breakfast area clean and stocked. The hotel is overall clean and comfortable. Rooms are comfortable.
Cleanliness, comfort, and accommodating innkeepers add to the attraction this Best Western offers. Room charges are reasonable, and the Best Western is close to local restaurants. Its proximity to the interstate made it easy to resume our travels quickly.
We've stayed at this motel numerous times within the past 2 years to visit family and attend sporting events in Atlanta. . The staff are consistently friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms have been consistently clean, beds are very comfortable, all electrical devices and phones are in working order and Wi-Fi is free. Hot breakfast in quiet seating area is available. Would highly recommend this motel.
Rooms were big. Got 2 queens. Shower and bathroom good. Room was clean. Could gave used an extra light but lighting was good. Breakfast was good. Eggs, cereal, yogurt, waffle mix, coffee, bacon or sausage, bagels. Could use fruit salad and toast. Ironing, microwave and fridge in room. Didn't try pool or fitness room. Staff was very nice and helpful. Location is good. 2 restaurants across parking lot and near to Wal-Mart and other stores via car. Right off highway. Price was reasonable and they let me check out a day early. There are some other hotels perhaps 40% less but whatever hotel, you choose, do your research. One impt thing for us was not to have room door on outside. Good luck. If I go back, I'll Dec look at them again.
We stayed here on our way down to Florida and was glad we did. For the price I would recommend this hotel. The rooms were very clean the bed comfortable. I used the indoor pool which was well maintained. Breakfast had lots to choose from and the staff are all very friendly.
Visited Oct 2016: A typical refurbished Best Western minus the "western" motiff. There is an Applebee's, and Mesquites Mexican Grill across the parking lot. We are dinner at Applebees, dropped teh kids off at the hotel, and then drank margaritas at the Mexican Grill. Great location: quiet and convenient.
We checked in late on a Wednesday, Todd Parker the night manager was most pleasant and professional. The room was spacious, clean, well maintained and quiet. Heating unit, refrigerator were quiet. Everything worked, Desk lamp has a USB port for device charging. Internet speed was good, no problems with VPN connections like in some places I've stayed. Parking area was well maintained and clean, and lighting was adequate. Breakfast was good, a nice selection of items(I liked the sausage gravy and biscuits and bacon with scrambled eggs). The area was well maintained and the lady in charge was very nice. All the staff we encountered were friendly, pleasant and professional. Desk checkout was fine and the lady was nice. One downside - the lobby was crowded and people milling and blocking the hallway and exit as there was some kind of event being held in the lobby. The people at the event's setup tables had taken the last of the luggage carts and were using it to hold boxes and wouldn't let us use it to load our vehicle. Additionally, I had to ask multiple times for people to move so I could shlep our bags and equipment through the lobby to our vehicle. They seemed irritated that I would even ask them to allow us passage to the doors. I don't blame the hotel staff for the conduct of those people, it just shows how thoughtless some people can be. The event might be a regularly scheduled one. If this is a consideration, I recommend checking beforehand to see if any such events will be held while you're checking out. With the exception of the rather thoughtless bunch in the event in the lobby, the stay was excellent. The only improvement to the property I'd suggest is to have better lighting in the room. I'd also use 'warmer' 2700K bulbs that would make the room more inviting.
Very nice and clean hotelThe host very friendly we made the reservation online and was so easyand the breakfast was great had a variety of breakfast items to chose fromWe have stayed at this location twice before and have always had a good experience each time
This is a very good buy with an excellent breakfast and sufficient parking. The bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. Also we had no problem getting parking even though we came in at 10 in the evening.
We were really impressed with this Best Western. It was rated a 4 on Trip Advisor and it did not disappoint! All redone and modernized, room was very pretty, nice and clean, a comfy bed, hot and cold breakfast, and everyone pleasant in the staff. Just what we needed to relax after a long day's drive. We will always keep it mind when looking for stopover lodging, when we travel to our beloved North Georgia or Tennessee mountains from Florida. A thumbs up indeed!
Hotel was clean, room was comfortable, easy check-in and out nice breakfast and was in place before scheduled time. Workout room and pool amentimies was offered during check-in. Staff was very friendly.
Very pleasant surprise. First time traveling with 2 dogs and this property was great. Thought we would end up in a cheap hissy motel with the dogs. The rooms are big and clean. Every staff person was very friendly. I hope we end up here on our trip home.
Location is a little hard to find off of the freeway, but OK. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very well kept and updated. Breakfast was very good and provided early to get an early start on the road.
Every staff member was caring and helpful. We stayed almost a week on vacation visiting family and we felt very safe and comfortable at this hotel. Would definitely recommend. Very close to restaurants and stores.
This was our 2nd time staying here this year & would stay here again! This Best Western was great & very clean. It is very close to the Interstate & had a good hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and plenty of toast, bagels & waffles. The indoor pool was a welcome amenity for our grandson, but we didn't use the hot tub. The room had plenty of space & the King bed was comfortable. I should have known that the roll-away bed was an extra $10, but I should have been told that when I requested the bed. Overall it was a great place to stay on our way down to Florida! Would stay here again.
This hotel has an ant problem. It is no fun waking up in the middle of the night picking ants off your face. There were ants on the walls, headboards, floors and beds. The front desk staff acknowledged they had a problem and offered to have the room sprayed. We were there for eight days. A man came to spray on our last day. My wife was getting dressed and he wouldn't wait until she was finished. She had to wait in the bathroom until he was done. The smell was not pleasant. An apology was the only thing the hotel offered as recompense.
We stopped here on our way to Florida. Staff was friendly and Sandra the breakfast hostess was so nice. She did a great job of keeping the food filled and tables clean. Our room was clean as was the public areas of the hotel. We will stop here again on our way to Florida.
We went back for the Scarecrow Festival, and stayed at the Best Western Inn and Suites in McDonough, Georgia. We were not disappointed! The rooms were big, the beds comfortable, the people friendly, and the breakfast always warm and waiting. The price did not disappoint either. If you are in the area for hiking or any sort of activity, be sure to stay there. You won't be disappointed.
This hotel was extremely clean. The service was great! Ms. Sarah was great and very helpful. This hotel was great quaility for the price. I will definitely come back to visit. Close to the all highways.
Leisure one night stay....Nice hotel that needs a Little attention to detailBathroom needs paint touch ups as well as the room areasLobby was very inviting and nice...Bedding was comfortable but nothing to brag about...Pillows were just ok...They are half sized pillows which was wierd to us...
I was having a difficult morning and went to breakfast hoping food would make me feel better, but Ms. Sandra was the highlight of my entire day! She kept a positive attitude and smile throughout her shift, which meant a lot to me and the guests that were lucky enough to meet her. Thank you! :)
Everything was great. Room was bigger than expected. Bed was super comfy. Youll be happy you stayed indoor pool and hot tub plus there is a shower in the pool area. Stafor was pleasant and helpful the whole way through.
We found this hotel to be easy off/on interstate. Walking to dinner was next door. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was super comfortable. Would like to make suggestion. BW needs more roadside advertising!! Up in the air/street needs to be BIGGER!!
I found this Hotel to be very clean and welcoming. The have a GREAT Breakfast buffet and the Attendant Sandra was very Pleasant and Helpful. The Desk Clerk was also very helpful. This is a nice place to stay and many restaurants very close by. I really like their Lobby with the waterfall, it was soothing!
We were passing through on our way to our Wi yet home in Florida. Arrived late after many hours of driving. The area seemed safe and many restaurant choices nearby. Applebys walking distance. Front desk was very welcoming, room was clean, spacious and quiet. Had a good nights rest and a lovely breakfast the following morning - including eggs & bacon! Would definitely return. Only thing I would say was negative was that the lock on the door to the parking lot was broken so the door was always accessible to intruders.
I haven't been in a Best Western motel since it's rebranding efforts began in 2015. We found this motel to be a pleasant surprise. The room was large with high ceilings and very clean including a sanitized TV remote. Inside was a very comfortable bed and Samsung TV. Despite being close to the interstate we weren't bothered by traffic noise. There was a nice pool, exercise room and the breakfast matched that of the higher tier motel chain beds. A few downsides: small breakfast eating area and exterior building lighting that was impossible to block completely from the room. As noted, I consider this to be a good motel value.
We stayed overnight. Room was nice. Bathroom could use an update but was clean. Front desk staff were very friendly. We didnt use any of the amenities. The shampoo that they have was great. Had a nice scent to it!
We stayed at the Best Western McDonough one night on our way home from Florida September 20, 2018. We chose McDonough so we could go through Atlanta about 9:00 the next morning rather than after driving all day and to avoid rush hour. The hotel was super easy to get to, just seconds off of 75 N. but on a little side drive. Applebees right next door, a nice Mexican restaurant next to Applebees. The hotel looks new, was super clean, bed comfortable, plenty of towels. Our room was more spacious than most we've stayed in. It had a king bed, desk, couch, fridge and microwave. Super nice, high water pressure shower. The AC worked well. Our room was on the third floor and we didn't hear any street or parking lot noise. Other guests coming and going on our floor were not so quiet. Breakfast was very generous with sausage, eggs and potatoes. Fruit, cereal, muffins and pastries. Waffles, yogurt, orange and apple juice, milk and coffee. We didn't use the pool so cannot speak to that. The parking lot was very well lit. We were very, very happy and impressed with the hotel, location and close restaurants. The only glitch in our stay was we used a different credit card than the one we reserved the room with. The front desk called at 5 minutes before 11 after we were asleep and said the internet had been down when we arrived and when they ran the card it was denied. My friend had to get up, get dressed, go down to the front desk only for the card to go right through just fine. I thought 10:55 was too late to be called for that. We would have been glad to stop at the front desk on our way in and out during the evening to make sure the card went through but were not asked to do that. We didn't realize there was a problem. Even an earlier call to say the internet was still down and to check back would have been a nice heads up.
Highly recomended location for travelers on route or those who want to know town. Clean and spacious rooms, great amenities and close to everything. Great breakfast bar, good internet connection, pet and family friendly.
very clean, updated rooms. staff is friendly , breakfast was great. i would definitly stay here again, extra towels, they were soft too. internet was fast, bed was not too soft not too hard, location was good, very close to restaurants.
I've stayed here numerous times and I have never had any problems. The hotel is close to shopping and restaurants and access to the interstate. The staff is always friendly and the breakfast is hot and delicious. My granddaughters love the country gravy.
Very nice accommodations and appreciated that Applebee's was next door. No more driving for dinner. The breakfast bar was most complete and enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly and Tanya at breakfast couldn't have been more helpful.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful especially Sondra and Tonya. Room had lots of ants coming in through AC unit. Beds were comfy. Suite pictured with pullout sofa but our sofa didn't not pull out. Ok hotel
Labor Day 2018, quiet, easy to find on a side road, updated facility, we slept well, had the usual hot and cold breakfast available. Has elevator. Restaurants in walking distance. We would stay again.
I have used this Best Western on several occasions. And Each time I can always count on this Best Western to be clean. The beds are made for a great night sleep. Also if you are traveling alone you will feel safe the property is well lit. If you do not want to travel for lunch there is a Apple Bee's and Mexico restaurant next door. There are steps in the parking lot which connect the hotel to the apple Bees parking lot to keep you from walking in the road.
Clean, comfortable, modern hotel about 30 minutes from ATL airport. I flew in at night and had business in Macon the next morning. This cut my drive time down in the morning, and the hotel is much nicer than comparable hotels near the airport (College Park, Hapeville, etc.). This hotel is more updated than other Best Westerns in the area and exceeded my expectations. I will stay here again when work brings me back to the area.
This all suites Best Western is truly a hidden gem in the McDonough area. This 3 floor all indoor hotel is CLEAN, SAFE, and easy on the wallet. I paid right at $75 for a one night stay during the week. I stayed on the top floor because top floor rooms are really unwanted since bottom room floors are highly requested that means top floor rooms are cleaner & newer because they are used less. I got 2 clean queen beds with 4 regular pillows and a sausage pillow on each. That's a total of 10 pillows in my room. There's also a comfy sofa. LOTS of stretching room to lay out your luggage. Loved the quick flush toilets...only 12 seconds to fill up the tank. The bathroom was clean with tons of towels. Nice shower head with massage options and tons of hot water. BREAKFAST was the best part. Kudos to Sandra for an excellent breakfast experience. Tons of bacon, tons of (apple, raspberry, lemon, & cream cheese) pastries, bagels, croissants, biscuits, sausage & gravy, eggs, all the GOOD kinds of cereals, like Honey Nut Cheerios & Frosted Flakes. There were 2 different types of waffle makers for regular waffles or mini waffles. The best waffles I ever had...REALLY!!! Breakfast was plentiful, even up into the last hour and all this serviced by the ever smiling Sandra. The BESTEST BEST WESTERN EVER!!!
Great night sleep. Nice clean place. Sandra , breakfast staff was great! I have started staying in Best Westerns recently and they have all been very nice. Great staff. Nice to now you can feel good about where you are booking a room.
I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and each time has been a great experience. Everything is clean and well kept. The grounds/parking are well lit. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is your normal hotel breakfast, but still good. Great location when traveling to the Atlanta area.
The room was nice, the pool was dated. The front desk staff did not know how to complete our check in at first. They were friendly, just not organized. They called to complete check in at 9:30 pm and woke us all up.
Everything was perfect nice, clean, and staff was very friendly. The house keeping staff was very professional and pleasant and Sandra greeted us every morning for breakfast which by the was outstanding. My hotel of choice the next time I am in that area.
Clean and a great breakfast. Sandra was especially welcoming, greeting everyone who came in to the breakfast area. The breakfast was good with eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and waffles. We had an enjoyable stay.
Best hotel we have stayed at anywhere! The room was large, clean, and nicely updated and decorated. Breakfast was good. The room had everything we needed (frige, microwave, internet). The staff was AMAZING!
I had never been to the Atlanta area, so I was unsure of the hotels in the area. This Best Western was clean, friendly & economical. The staff was very helpful & I appreciate the breakfast. It was located right off I75 so transportation was easy & there were many dining options in the area.
Great service all around. Mrs Sandra makes a great breakfast , she always makes sure there is plenty enough to eat. She cooks bacon perfectly Perfectly . And room service is amazing. They always great you with a smile .
Had a wonderful stay here, everything was clean, the staff was nice, and the free breakfast was good. The hotel was in a good location, near many restaurants and 24 hour Walmart. Would stay here again when I visit Atlanta.
Staff was very attentive and incredibly nice. They went out of their way to make sure I was happy and comfortable. Sandra, Tamikia and Helen....y'all are amazing! Thank you so much for treating me like family :)
We went on vacation to Disney World and we wanted to go to Georgia to finish our vacation but I had booked another hotel but my heart was telling me not to go there because of numerous reasons so on our way I started to search for other hotels and I booked Best Western Inns and I wasn't disappointed. The staff was very polite, rooms are clean and the complimentary breakfast was wonderful. I would definitely stay there again and recommend my friends to stay there too.
We stopped here on our return from FL with our 4 children. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and the comfort of the beds including the pull out sofa. The staff was quite polite as well.
The room was clean. There was a lot of towel in the bathroom.i love that they had a indoor pool and spa. it was gas station around and other nice places to eat around there. the staff was so nice to us. we had a good time. i will sty there again.
This hotel appearance from outside to the rooms. They are suites so the rooms are spacious and clean. Although everything about the hotel is overall 4 star, the breakfast is 5 star and free. Breakfast buffet consist of bacon, self cooked waffles, cereal, oat meal, hash browns, and so much more, everything as fresh, especially the bacon. I don't normally write reviews but this hotel is well worth it. I traveled from Nashville TN about ever 4-6 weeks, staying in hotels while visiting my 3 yr old grandson. I have stayed at Westin at airport and Fairfield Inn and. Hilton Garden Inn in Lithonia Ga. This is my new home away from home. Great trip and great customer service!!!
this was a great race and a great trip. the hotel was great and affordable. everything was perfect. the staff was very friendly and they went out of their way to make us feel like we were at home. the complimentary breakfast was great with a nice variety of options. the room was perfect. the room was super comfortable.
My family of 5 enjoyed themselves!!! It was my son's 11th birthday and he wanted to do an indoor pool party. From the moment we entered the facility to the moment we left everyone treated us like family. We had fresh towels for the pool delivered within minutes. There were other larger families there as well. There pool area was large enough so that everyone had their own space. Lots of options for breakfast, great for my picky eater. The rooms were a decent size. We had 2 queens with a sofa bed and everyone had enough space to play games.
VERY Clean room. Great service.very friendly. Came with 30 scouts and they all had a positive experience. The service was awesome and the breakfast was plentiful. Eggs, biscuits, gravy, cereal, just to name a few. The wi-fi service was also fast.
We had a party of 30 Boy Scouts and leaders spend the night here. Hotel was very clean and the staff were very professional. Sandra prepared a great breakfast—she didn't run out of food, which is saying something considering how much these kids can eat.
It had been a long time since I stayed at a Best Western. I always thought of them as a mediocre hotel chain at best and would only stay at one if a nicer hotel wasn't around the area. This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Everything was clean. Common areas were spacious. Room was well appointed and quiet (even though I was right across from the lobby restroom). Free breakfast was good. The main reason I only gave it 4 stars was because the bathroom was small and the door was in the way of the toilet (when travelling by myself, I don't always feel the need to close the bathroom door). The front desk staff wasn't rude or unkind, but they weren't particularly helpful at check-in (sent me down the wrong hallway, didn't inform me about breakfast hours or checkout time). Overall, however, I was pleased with my experience and would definitely stay again.
This was one of the most clean friendly, excellent stay and hotel to stay in whenever you're in the McDonough area, The staff is awesome they all treat you like home away from home, I will definitely stay again
This is a very clean hotel with nice rooms but the front desk staff leaves something to be desired. A small problem with check-in but more so the fact we have never received a receipt for our stay either in person or by email as promised. We paid cash and this is worrisome especially since they insisted on making us pay a $1 fee when we checked into the hotel. No idea what that is about other than to gain access to our credit card.
I have always liked Best Western Hotels and this one has not let me down. It is clean ,quiet, and the staff is very friendly: Ms Sandra in the kitchen works at putting out a wide selection of items for breakfast ranging from hot eggs and sausage to danish and coffee. It is close to several shopping areas and restaurants. Will definitely stay here again.
Highly recommend this location just south of Atlanta. Plenty of amenities around hotel with easy access to interstate. Double King suite was spacious, clean and comfortable; same price as double queen. Beds, pillows and shower were great. Mini frig, micro, coffee pot and hair dryer helpful. All staff were friendly. Amazing and plentiful breakfast selection. Sandra kept the area inviting! Would stay here again!!
This hotel is great and easy access in safe area, their staff is friendly hotel is up to date clean and quiet. The breakfast had a large variety, grits, potatoes, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, biscuits and gravy.
I stay here often for work. the rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Todd is especially nice and always willing to help in anyway he can to make your stay better.
We had an overnight stay and the accommodations were very nice. The free breakfast the next morning was a very addition to our stay. The cost of our room was reasonable. I would recommend this Best Western to others if in the area.
We came in around 1 in the morning, we were very tired, staff welcomed us and was very easy to work with and payed attention to all our needs. The hotel was easy to settle into, nothing to worry about, clean beds, floors, bathrooms, and even got an extra blanket when we asked. The breakfast had a large variety, including different types of waffles, grits, potatoes, bacon, eggs, coffee, tea, biscuits and gravy, and more! The overall looks of the hotel were beautiful as well, recently renovated. Would 100% stay here again without a second thought.
This hotel is great, their staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and quiet. Everytime I visit Mcdonough or Atlanta I stay here. I especially like that they have free breakfast it makes things a little easier on the pockets when traveling with the whole family. Id recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good hotel.
My family and I were in McDonough visiting family. This was our first stay at the Best Western so we didn't know what to expect. Turns out we had no reason to worry. We had a great experience! Management was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding for a continental breakfast. Patricia kept the food coming and cleaned up at the same time. One of the best continental breakfasts I have had in a hotel. I'm very picky and I have nothing but accolades for this hotel.
Passing through we stayed at the Hotel. Overwhelmed at how friendly and helpful the staff was all around. Facilities very clean. In the morning Sandra worked very diligently at keeping everything full and delicious.
We were traveling as a group of 5. This hotel had a sleeper sofa that worked perfectly for our situation. The continental breakfast was the best that I have ever experienced. The pool looked inviting, although we did not have time to enjoy. The staff was very polite and friendly. The room looked and felt clean. We would definently stay here next time we were traveling through this area.
All 3 of us LOVED this hotel! Great rooms, wonderful staff, excellent breakfast. Price was very reasonable for all the service and amenities. We also used the hot tub and pool - pool was heated and the hot tub was actually hot (two other places we stayed at during our trip had hot tubs with lukewarm water).
This BW location is currently highly deserving of its #2 rank within the Top 10 Best Value hotel ranking with Trip Advisor. I relocated from a much more expensive hotel with a 3-star hotel rating which ended-up being a run-down, out-dated, couldn.t accommodate a 6'3
My overall experience was great the staff were great, the room was clean and very satisfying and the breakfast each morning was awesome. I will definitely come back there when I'm in the area again. I strongly recommend this hotel.
We stopped before Atlanta. I liked this hotel. Clean, comfortable beds, NO PETS!, good breakfast. Two issues. The AC unit in the room was pretty noisy, and the courtyard (smoking?) area is not door-key card operated so I locked myself out. Well, in, actually. But I assume these things will be remedied in time. I will definitely stop again if in the area.
Ms. Sandra always has a friendly smile and the food is amazing. The eating area is always clean. She is always willing to help .She has excellent customer service skills I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.
I stayed at best western McDonough with my mom for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a great experience. I enjoyed the breakfast, friendly staff, heated pool, and fitness center. We arrived 2 hours earlier than check-in time and there was a room available for us .
We stay at this hotel every time we go north to visit family. The amenities are nice, the hotel is quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful. It is the perfect stop for us. And we are grateful to have found it.
Loved everything and Sandra definitely kept everything stocked and fresh. I would just like toppings for my waffles like nuts , cranberries or raisins and cranberry juice as well. Sandra is very polite and hospitable too. Would come back for sure.
I checked in around 6 p.m. The front desk informed me the hotel had one room with left for $129, $159 after tax. I thought it was a little pricey, but since it was last minute, I went with it. I'm glad I did it was a lovely spacious room that came with television, couch, office desk, and King size bed. I would highly recommend this facility if you could get it at a discounted rate if you do not mind staying outside the city of Atlanta.
So I decided to book my mom a room so she can have time away. The little time I spent was anything but enjoyable. Lets start with me booking the room. They took 153.53 as a holding fee (which I was not made aware of). So I show up to pick up the key to the room the next day, when I arrive the front desk man, Todd, looked annoyed and said I was too early (I was not made aware of check in time either) and to show back at 3pm. So I show back up and Brandy (the lady who booked my room) was there and I pay for the room. She felt the need to let me know that I could not use the key after the nights I paid for which I am not stupid. It was at that moment I realized the separate holding fee. So I bring it up and she says the money will be back by 12am that night. The money wasnt there. So I call and speak with Todd and he brushes it off and says that it will be back within 24 to 72 hrs. I wait and wait and wait. The money is not there. So I call and speak back with Brandy. She says it should be back by 12am tonight AGAIN. At this point, they are all incompetent. So I wait and wait and wait. The money is not there. So I speak with the manager, Linda, she was rude and obviously did not care and tells me it should be there by tonight and hangs up in my face. My mother says she enjoyed her stay but she is not the one who paid. I spent less than an hour there and I will NEVER show back up. It is going on 3 days and my holding fee is not back on my account. Brandy and Todd made faces everytime they saw me as if I was dangerous. They only care about your money and obviously black money is not good money to them
Home away from home. very nice. And kind staff. And very clean. Concierge breakfast is very good. The best are very comfortable. Rooms are very spacious. The staff treat you like family. Pool and warm hot Jacuzzi is very wonderful.
Nice hotel, friendly staff, great location and easy on/off highway. Two restaurants are within walking distance with several others close. Beds are comfortable and the bath is large. Breakfast was good. Great value. Would recommend and stay again.
Great Experience! Would recommend to anyone traveling through McDoungh, GA. Great food. Comfortable bedding. Clean, quiet, the price was very affordable and worth the stay. Friendly staff who catered to my needs.
Great place to stop on our route down from Michigan to Florida. The room was lovely, breakfast was good and the staff was wonderful. We had a large room and the price was excellent for the space we had and the included breakfast.
Very clean and friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend. Was easy to find and convenient. We liked the fact that it was quiet. There was restaurants near by with some within walking distance.
Room was very clean and bed comfortable for an overnight stay traveling from FL. Front desk staffer very helpful with a business center task. Breakfast your average hotel hot and cold choices. Pretty good coffee! Would definitely stay here again.
Very nice hotel and friendly service and staff. Sandra was very friendly and helpful!! Loved her spirt!!!! Breakfast was awesomely good!! I am very pleased thanks! I will be returning soon! Good experience
Really a pleasant place to stay. Clean, comfy beds and wonderful staff. Especially Sandra with breakfast. Really nice to be greeted with a smile and a good morning. Would definitely stay here in future.
Excellent value. Clean modern room with comfortable bed, good selection of TV options and excellent Internet service. Breakfast selections good, as well. Would stay at this property again. Did not use the indoor heated pool but will the next time.
Great hotel. Great place to stay. Gina was great. Room clean and beds comfortable. We were on our way to Florida. Trip through Atlanta was terrible. Two traffic delays. So glad to find a nice place to spend the night.
This place is so nice for the price! We came in for a family 70th Birthday and stayed here. Really nice rooms and Todd at the front desk is beyond amazing! So is the rest of the staff. Such a nice overnight break!
The motel is about 30 minutes from Atlanta. We left early Saturday morning and had a smooth travel through the city. Room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast started at 6 a.m. and had quite a variety. Gina was wonderful. She answered all of our questions and was a wealth of information.
We stayed for Import Alliance. We booked the 2 queen bed suite. It was roomy and very clean and comfortable. We only stayed 1 night but all the staff we encountered was very courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Thanks, Best Western, for the great stay!
Everything went very well, nice clean rooms, safe. You can get a good nights rest here before travelling again the next day. Down the street from Cracker Barrel, close to the I-75. Good variety of breakfast and drinks in the morning too. No worries!
This hotel was very clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast bar is very good with eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, waffles, pastries, toast, English muffins, bagels, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, fresh fruit, etc. Plenty of variety. There is an Applebees right across the parking lot, which is nice after a day of travel.
Very clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast is delicious! Sandra in the breakfast room makes sure everyone is well taken care of! Also, even though it is near I-75, we didn't hear any truck noise during the night. We would highly recommend this hotel over nearby Country Inn & Suites where the room was moldy.
Ms. Gina was very welcoming and knowledgeable about different eateries! She was very sweet! The room was clean! I have no complaints about anything! Very nice hotel to stay in! You have a lot of things to do around here!
The hotel in McDonough is great. It is newly remodeled, clean, and spacious. The staff is really something to write home about. Gina at check-in is awesome. She is friendly, helpful, and kind. She had the answers to all of my questions and provided valuable information. Todd Parker was VERY helpful. After we left that morning, about an hour north and through Atlanta, we discovered that we had left behind an important item. He went to our room, found the item and made arrangements with his manager Helen to get the item back to us. Helen went out of her way and went to UPS to ship the item back to us. It was expertly packaged and arrived safe and sound to our home this morning. I can't thank Helen and her staff enough for helping us out. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!!!!! ***** Five Stars or higher to everyone at the Best Western Inn & Suites in McDonough Georgia!!!!
SANDRA WAS AWESOME! The breakfast was good but she made it great!!! Her Spirit was awesome & loving! Customer Service was on point! She deserves praise and recognition! The over all say was great! I love the upgrades!!
Gina was very helpful on a project I was involved with concerning work. She assisted me in every way possible. She gets 100 stars from me...!!!!!!! Hotel was nice & recently renovated. Other staff was also cordial.
Room was clean. Breakfast was plentiful. Lots of delicious choices! Brittany T did a great job and made sure everything clean and was stocked up. Good Mexican restaurant “Mesquite” within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again!
First off Gina, who checked us in, was extremely helpful and very nice. The hotel was nice. No not fancy but nice and clean. Room was a good size. We were in McDonough for GCAA State Championship for basketball and this hotel was conveniently located. The only thing I can complain about is that we had NO hot water this morning for showers. It was freezing ?? When I told the guy at the front desk he just said, “sorry, that shouldn't happen.” No it shouldn't and after paying $117 (after taxes) I feel we should at least have hot water. But that's the only complaint I have. So all in all it was a good place to stay.
Stayed here on my drive from Toronto to Clearwater. The breakfast was decent, the beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean. There was nothing more I could have asked for. The lady at reception was super friendly
Friendly staff! Clean rooms. Gina was the best! Made me feel like I was at home especially since she was from my hometown. It's a small world. The breakfast was very good!! It's right next door to the Mexican restaurant that is so yummy!!
Really nice hotel well kept .... I will return.... I will suggest them upgrading their thread count on their sheets. spacious and clean room. Gina was Very Friendly and she Welcomed and Accommodated me with a smile.
We stopped at this hotel on our way from IL to FL. Check in was smooth, Room was very clean, breakfast was good. We stayed on the third floor and it was very quiet. If you're looking for a very clean and quiet place to stay this is your place! Very impressed and would definitely stay here again!!
We just spent the night while driving from Arkansas to Walt Disney World. It was a very nice place to stay. We did not experience any issues. We would stay here again. We only stayed for a few hours so we don't have a lot of feedback to share.
We would definitely stay here again - in fact, this was our 2nd stay here even though it's nearly 2000 miles from our home. The room was great, the location convenient for our travel through Georgia. Helen House, the manager, clearly is working hard to make this an even better place. The breakfast was in an especially pleasant part of the hotel and the food way above average.
I must say the woman who check is in very pleasant. They do take animals which is a plus. They have pillow top beds ( too soft for me ) but family sleep well. For me being that we were right in the outside of the building near the highway, I was up most of the night listening to the backing of trucks and the highway cars themselves. The shower was amazing and the breakfast was a great way to start. I gave four stars because it was loud, weather being the highway or just people walking all hours of the night. But it is a very nice hotel and staff are helpful.
I've stayed in a lot of Best Western hotels over the years, and this one is by far the best. It's modern and clean, the staff is extremely nice and professional (we dealt with Gina at the front desk, and she was fantastic), and the parking lot is clean and well-lit. I didn't have a chance to use the pool, unfortunately. The breakfast was nice too...not the most gourmet food, but it gets the job done.
Excellent stay. Would love to receive deals on future stays. The only thing I would like to see is more vegetarian options for breakfast. But, as it is there were enough of the usual options we find at other hotels.
This hotel was a very pleasant experience after a long day on the road. We stopped at a competitors property and were given the run around. The desk clerk was very helpful with information about the area. The room was very nice and clean.
This was a very nice hotel, the room was large, clean and comfortable. Gina, the front desk recieptionist was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar area was to small for all the people but the attendant managing the breakfast bar area was a hero, cleaning up, making more food and doing her best to please everyone with her friendly demeanor. We couldn't get a table or even a corner of a counter so we found it difficult to enjoy breakfast. We stood in the lobby and took turns balancing each other's food and coffee. We did notice the toilet in our room was leaking from the floor. It looked like it had been that way for a while as the tile was stained around the toilet. We did tell the daytime front desk person when we left. I would still recommend this hotel, it has been newly remodeled and looks very nice.
Great family vacation in McDonough Georgia over the Christmas holiday you want to stay here the beds are comfortable and Best Western McDonough Georgia and Industrial Boulevard breakfast is good beds are comfortable pillows are nice and comfortable cleaning and staff was very nice.
This hotel has some of the friendliest staff you'll ever have the pleasure of encountering. The facilities are clean and well kept. The pool and fitness center were in great shape and breakfast offered plenty of selections. Will definitely stay here again!
Extremely nice hotel, friendly staff. Price is well below other hotels for the type of room we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in or around McDonough. There was a wide variety at the breakfast, which saved us money because there were 6 of us total. Four were pre-teen teens so they can eat quite a bit
The receptionist , GINA was not pleasant and rude to our guests. She didn't listen well and threaten to put us out if we had too many guests. This was not the case , but as I stated , she didn't listen well. She has poor customer service skills, it's a bad reflection on the hotel to have her on the front desk. On another note, The room was clean and the breakfast was great, waffles, eggs, sausage and breakfast potatoes.
Staying at this hotel is awesome. Gina our receptionist is the best, lovely lady welcoming us and answering my questions and also helping me out with our hotel booking. I made a mistake and she was able to work with expedia to fix it. So I was very happy. The second time we stay here and we will continue stayimg here whenever we get a chance to. The hotel is also clean, comfortable, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast also very good. Thank you. Your smile is also great.
We stopped here on our way to the smokies. It was very clean, comfortable, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean and the pool water was nice and warm!!! We would definitely stay here again on our way through.
Nice place but walls are paper thin. Can hear tv, talking, showers from adjoining rooms. Personnel were very nice. Breakfast was very good. Close restaurant next door was convenient. Location was good but hard to find at night even with google maps. Front sign small but found on second pass by the hotel. Busy area for traffic. Interstate road noise was not noticeable because our room was on the opposite side of the hotel.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Best Western. If traveling that direction - would definitely stay again. Staff were all very nice and professional. Room was neat and clean. Breakfast was nice for free continental.
Southern hospitality at its best from hotel staff. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure you stay is perfect. Will definitely recommend this hotel! The room was very comfortable and spacious and very clean.
I was in Georgia for a funeral with my family but your hotel made it relaxing and stress free. I will stay again when I come through GA again. My family enjoyed the breakfast and the Applebees next door that we could walk and not move the car. Wonderful!!!
Had a really great experience at this BW hotel from nice accommodations to an excellent staff . has become am choice of place to stay when I am in the area .Sandra fixes an awesome breakfast and is very helpful . Almost like eating at grandmas house . the pool and hot tub is a great way to relax after a long day of driving
I had been staying with my dad in a hotel near the Atlanta airport but had to move to be near the Atlanta Motor Speedway for a Ritchie Bros. auction. After reviewing many areas nearby, I decided to stay in McDonough which had about everything. And it was as good as advertised. The hotel is conveniently located near highway 75 and besides an Applebee's restaurant. Check in was quick and excellent. I can't give them enough praise for their positive and friendly attitude. We stayed there for 3 nights but had to handle our reservations on a night by night basis since we didn't know if we were going to be able to get any equipments at the auction (which in the end, we did) and they were able to help us keep the same room for our 3 night stay. Top notch customer service! The hotel itself was very clean and modern. The rooms spacious and comfy. Bathroom was great too. Beds were amazing and a/c quiet. You can find many food options around, also a Walmart and CVS. Downtown Atlanta is a short 30 minute drive away so I would rather stay in this area and drive to and from there than to stay in pricier Atlanta. Whenever I go back to Atlanta this will definitely be my hotel of choice. Keep the good work!
Quick get away nice lobby decent room. Last minute book hotel front desk made sure late check in would be accommodated. Check it could have been better I guess they assumed I used this party to book. Was informed to leave room key on front desk and received receipt through email.
Overall stay was good. Although for the location and type of hotel the room was a bir pricey. Did not care for the square eggs :oP Pool was nice but being November could have used a heater. Teeny single elevator that you have to wait foreer for then cram in with every floor. Staff was very nice.
This hotel was very nice. Room was clean and the lobby was beautiful with friendly staff that made me feel very comfortable. I would love to book this hotel again when I'm in the area. I give it 5 stars!
We used it for short one day visit to family, Excellent value for the Atlanta area., Easy access to city proper after rush hour. Good food options for dinner in the area, We ate dinner at Appleby's next door. Above average quality and variety for breakfast compared to other hotels in this price class. Very clean dining area.
Fabulous place. Beautiful rooms, great hot breakfasts with bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy! And, great staff - Helen is so great! Need anything? Let her know. Pool area has been re-done recently and they did a great job.
The staff at this Best Western is very friendly. The grounds and rooms are nice and clean. It is conveniently located near many restaurants and stores. We will stay here again the next time we are in the area..
My husband and I stayed here during the Irma hurricane this fall. My apologies for his incredibly late review. we have stayed here in the past, and each time we do we are always greeted by the nicest staff behind the reception desk and others. Very comfortable rooms, even our kitty cat was content! You will not regret your stay here, thank you Gina, Myleigh, and Helen!
The overall experience was good, room service was really good during the stay bathroom was cleaned everyday, fresh rags n towels n clean sheets. I appreciated that due to the fact I had a young baby with me. Breakfast was good though some the items were a bit stale. Pool and jacuzzi was clean. Front desk staff was very friendly.
I arrived early at the hotel on a rainy, cool morning traveling on company business. There was an issue with my reservation that had nothing to do with BW. However, the check in clerk went over and beyond to help resolve it. Gina was AMAZING! She was attentive, kind, friendly, and courteous. Gina's response to my situation meant the world to me and definitely turned my morning around. After checking in, Gina called my room to make sure I was satisfied with it AND later, when asked, recommended a wonderful lunch entree at a neighboring eatery. Gina Rocks! Thanks Gina and BW for a great stay!
fantastic. very clean and friendly. located close to hwy75. lots of food options in the area as well as walmart and other stores. stayed 1 night and would return the next time im heading south to florida.
Hotel always looks clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Room was clean and very spacious. I would prefer bathroom be a bit wider. The room was very large and would not be impacted by losing a couple of feet to add to the bathroom space. Employees were friendly and efficient.
Stayed one night here on our way south to Florida. The total cost was just under $107.00. The staff was friendly and thorough, the room clean, comfortable and quiet. We will stay here again as we pass through.
Gina at the front desk was great on check in. She was fast, courteous and gave me good local information. I will stay again. The hotel has been remodeled in nice light cheerful decor. The beds are on the soft side. The AC unit fans runs all the time, not just when its cooling, which I like.
Great value---large, clean room, excellent TV quality (unlike most hotels), nice bathroom, pleasant/helpful staff, well above average breakfast buffet. This will be our hotel of choice when we visit family.
The Best Western is older but recently painted and maintained. Staff were helpful and attentive. Nearby restaurants are within walking distance. Great location while travelling down to Florida with easy access from I75.
We have stayed at this hotel many times before but we are reviewing it again because their Desk Staff person, Gina, was so great. We arrived to a warm friendly greeting. She exhibited care and concern as she booked us in and later when we asked for suggestions for dinner she had lots of local knowledge and ended up directing us to Pastamax in downtown McDonough. Her directions were accurate to get there and her recommendation could not have been better. Gina also took our freeze packs for our cooler and put them in her freezer to help us out. What a truly pleasant and informative representative! We will be back again and again!
Very clean and enjoyable overnight stay. Always looking for a good hotel on way to Florida, and this is definitely on the list. Room was clean and comfortable and the service was excellent. Breakfast was OK/
Very nice hotel staff went above to accommodate our needs with some attractions we wanted to see close to the Hotel. Close to restaurants. Very clean and updated. The area is very pretty. We just stopped over for the night.
Best Western McDonough is the perfect place to stay when in town. I came to Georgia to do a wedding and this hotel exceeded my expectations. Very Clean and the Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I have stayed in many hotels and have had horrible experiences, but this hotel took care of me and I will be going back next trip.
Gina at the BW McDonough Inn & Suites was so warm and pleasant. I had decided to take some time off. I had previously stayed at a BW in Madison, Florida. I enjoyed it so I looked for one in my State. So I did.
When I informed my wife we were staying at BW she was less than thrilled with the idea. I too was skeptical. What a surprise and impression the McDonough, GA location made with us. The exterior was as beautiful/modern as the interior. Clean rooms, friendly & professional staff that tenaciously ensure your stay is pleasant and worry-free. Better than the Hilton I stayed at earlier in the year. Kudos to the owner and staff.
We needed a quick stopover motel close to the Atlanta airport for a morning flight. Not only did we get a wonderfully comfortable and spacious room, but also a superior, hot, complimentary breakfast awaited us at 6:00 a.m., enough to fortify us for our long day of travel. Great location just off the interstate and near restaurants. Friendly greeting and a great experience overall.
Large room. Comfortable beds. Clean. Not a luxury hotel but adequate for the price range. The only problem was the greasy bacon and salty eggs. Great staff during the time of our stay. I would stay there again if in that area.
All I can say this was one of the best hotels that I've ever stayed in. The staff are very friendly and professional. The room was large and very comfortable. Great beds and pillows! Shower was awesome!! I wish every hotel was like this.
This hotel was quite and very clean.. The staff has the best customer service I have come across..It is very convenient to numerous restaurants..It has comfortable beds and my stay was great..I liked the indoor pool..
Arrived to a very friendly staff who checked us in very quickly. Location was right next door to an Applebees (horrible service) and many other restaurants so is in a great location. The breakfast in the morning was amazing and everything was fresh and hot. Whole time there every employee greeted us with a smile and were very friendly. Great experience!!
Excellent check in staff, issues with room cleanliness. Beds slept very well. Breakfast was good. Breakfast attendant very nice! Have stayed at this location previously, this was the first time with issues of cleanliness.
This was a very nice and clean place to stay. Beds were comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. Gina was very helpful when we checked in and all our needs were met. Applebee's next door was also nice.
We arrived at 2 am weary from running from hurricane Irma. The receptionist welcomed us and assured we had all we needed. We slept in and missed the 9:00 cut-off time for breakfast, but the attendant, knowing many travelers were hurricane related, she kept the food line open, clean, abd refreshed. She also made a point of checking on every guest she saw to be sure they had eaten. She did this with pleasure and graciousness , smiling all the while. Now thats great hospitality!
Dirty carpet, rude employees, small pillows, and non-existent customer service. This is a very basic hotel, should be ok if you are used to employees being rude to you, black feet when walking on the carpet, and putting on your own pillowcases. We are not so this was our first and last visit to a Best Western.
Incredible staff especially at front desk. She was extremely helpful at check in and recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner which was delicious. So nice to have a great meal in a strange town and not have to eat at a chain restaurant. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Room had been remodeled recently. Breakfast could be a bit better. More choices on coffee, light, dark roast
I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through this area. Personnel were very pleasant and accommodating. When my family chooses to travel I will make sure they stay here! Breakfast was very plentiful and huge selection, definitely enough protein to keep you going until lunch and some.
After a tough day on the road this was a welcome respite. Staff was helpful and welcoming (Thanks Gina). Rooms were nicely updated & very clean. Having Applebee's next door was very helpful too. Parking lot is very tight with no turn around. If you are pulling a trailer or larger motor home, park next door in the Applebee's lot.
Hotel was very modern and clean. Great lobby and courteous employees. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable. Would use again. Great place to stay. Close to freeways and only about an hour outside of Memphis.
We were there due to a evacuation the staff was very helpful in our time of need I don't have any negative things to say about this hotel the location was great too so close to Atlanta and ton of hinges for the kids to do.
We had a wonderful stay! Rooms were very big. Lighting was not that great a little dark, need more lighting! Food was wonderful in the morning!! Staff was great! Will stay her again very soon. Great location, many resturants are close.
Arrived at 8:30 PM after a 13 hour evacuation drive from Florida. Friendly check in, great large well equipped room, allowed us to get carry in food and eat in Breakfast area and provided us with paper plates and napkins. Good hot breakfast. Even got a great rate through Hotels.com
While fleeing hurricane in Florida stayed at this hotel. All personnel were very helpful and kind. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Special Kudos to Sandra in the breakfast room. The food was always quickly replinished, hot and tasty. She never lost her cheerful attitude..
The staff are very friendly, helpful and respectful. As an out of stater, but not an Irma evacuee, the staff created a calm port in the storm. The breakfast topics were of having a good nights rest after a long slog of a drive and concerns for home, friends, & family. Thank You Sandra for being a friendly face at the breakfast room.
I needed reasonably priced lodging for a business trip and after filtering down choices based upon price, and reading recent reviews posted by others, I chose this BW property. Good move. The room was clean and spacious (King Suite) and the bed was very comfortable. The A/C unit was reasonably quiet which, for me, is important as I hate the chunka chunka sound you often have to put up with in this price ranged property. The listing for this BW said "refurbished" and it was. Not the Ritz but certainly suitable for my taste and needs. Above all, the staff was excellent. They let you know that they were there if you needed them and not grudgingly or because the boss said so. They were truly warm, welcoming and interested in that the customer's needs were met. I would not hesitate to stay here again should I need to return to McDonough.
This hotel met all our our requirements. The only thing was the pool was closed for one of our nights stay. My kids were disappointed. The room was clean and the staff was very nice. The pancake maker was out of order also.
Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is good. My family and I have stayed at this hotel twice and have not had any problems. We will definitely be staying here again on our next vacation to this area.
I was somewhat disappointed with my stay because the experience was not what I thought it would be. The room that we stayed in was just clean enough to stay two nights; the bedcover was dirty, but the inside of the bed was clean where the sheets were. I was looking forward to working out in the exercise room, but found out that the whole amenities area was off limits to the guests due to "repair".I expected a decent breakfast experience, but was dissatisfied with the overall setup of the breakfast area.
We went to the FSU-Alabama game, checked in early with one of the nicest counter people we've ever met and drove up to the game. After the game, we drove the 30 minutes back to McDonough and spent the night. My wife and I with our son and grandson enjoyed two king-size beds and the softest mattresses I can remember in a motel!
The Best Western Hotel is one of the cleanest hotels we stayed in and it start with the parking lot , to the back garden of the Hotel and also inside the hotel. The rooms smell clean, it looks clean and we find it fresh and inviting. We enjoy the breakfast with nice fresh fruit available and coffee available all the time. The staff are really helpful and friendly and offer to assist with everything possible. We enjoyed our stay and return soon for the second stay.
This hotel is unbelievable for the price. Very good bathroom lighting, bed lamps with two receptacles, big rooms and one of the best showers I have experienced in a hotel.Clean as the board of health, super friendly and accommodating staff, safe parking area with two decent restaurants next door. Really good breakfast also. Easy on and off I-75. Easy to see why it is number one in McDonough, Georgia.
Nice hotel tucked in edge of town, easy access to I-75. Hotel seems newly remodeled; outdoor landscaping was very nice. Next to Applebee's and close to several restaurants. Check-in went smoothly but when we entered our room my husband and I both noted a strong odor of stale cigarette smoke (property is listed as smoke free but must have been a smoking property at some point in the past; humidity can bring this smell out even after the room has been deep cleaned). The front desk clerk was very nice and helped relocate us to a different and much better-smelling room. Bed was comfy, shower had really good water pressure. Good place to stay for the night.
I had an emergency at my apartment home and had to check in to a hotel for the night. This was by far the best experience I had at a hotel, even if it was only for 1 night. Clean room, great guest services and good hot breakfast.
I'm very satisfied with the clean rooms and the friendly and helpful staff. They have a pool and spa but I think they were for kids. My friend's room was good. But the AC in my room was old and you cannot set a temperature or auto fan speed; and the hair dryer didn't work well. Both rooms did not have a safe case.
We stayed in one of the handicap rooms, this one had wheelchair access!! It was wonderful. The room was spacious and had plenty of room for the wheelchair. The room had a fridge and microwave in the room both were clean and worked properly. The staff was friendly and willing to assist in any way necessary. We enjoyed this hotel and we will be going back and staying there again.
My family and I love it here at Best Western it's our second time staying at this location and all I can say is if you don't stay here at the Best Western in McDonough, GA when you are in the area you are missing out. Ms. Gina goes well beyond her duties to make sure her customers are well taken care of. She always has a smile on her face and greets every customer she also recognized my face from staying previously and welcomed me back. Best Western please treat Ms. Gina right, because she always provides excellent customer service something that a lot of businesses are lacking these days. Job well done Gina!
My wife and I stayed the night as we were in town for a family gathering. The hotel was recently renovated and it looked great. We noticed the pool had a handicap lift. There's a nice outside gathering area in the back. But what we enjoyed the most was our breakfast in the morning that was made truly enjoyable by the gal that was staffing that morning, Sandra. She was new but you would never have guessed as she kept everything clean and well stocked and treated us with a genuine care. She had a wonderful service oriented personality and made our day special. We have stayed at many Best Western hotels as we are Rewards Members, but this was our best stay yet.
Overnight stop from Louisville to Florida. Rained hard all day and we were ready to stop. Located a little ways off the interstate but easy to find. Attractive and well lit exterior. Nice lobby. We didn't arrive until 10 PM but the front desk personnel was friendly and efficient. The room was generous, well maintained and quiet. Bathroom was also large and clean. Breakfast was standard fare but was kept clean and well stocked by an attendant. Checkout was quick and friendly. Overall a nice stay.
My family and I love it here! We live close by, and have stayed here many times. Every single time, we have enjoyed our stay. The rooms are ALWAYS clean (look and smell), and look exactly the same as the pictures. The staff are always around with smiles on their faces, and ready to help. Housekeeping is great. Breakfast is hot and very enjoyable every morning. Hot coffee is always available downstairs. The pool and spa are always clean. We haven't been to the work out room, but through the glass they have many options for those who want to use it, and it is also clean. Lots of parking, great water pressure in the shower. Clean linens. Everyone is so so nice. We just love when we come to check in, and Ms. Gina is at the front desk. She has the biggest smile, and is so nice and helpful every time! And when we see Ms. Sandra working breakfast, you know she'll go the extra mile for you. I watched her make a veteran extra crispy bacon so he could eat it how his wife made it. She always asks everyone how they're doing and offers help to the younger and older guests. We wouldn't stay anywhere else! You will not be disappointed! We have stayed on all 3 floors. The third floor needs a stronger Wi-Fi connection in certain rooms, but other than that, we can't complain! Thanks BW McDonough for ALWAYS putting your guests firsts <3 See you soon!!
Gina at the front desk, and Sandra who prepares the morning meal go over and beyond the required duty in order to make your stay a great one. I will continue to use this hotel in the future. My room was excellent as always, and the breakfast prepared is always good.
I have stayed here before and will do so again when passing through the area. Very friendly staff, great rooms, good breakfast. The only draw back is that there are no restaurants really close but 5 miles is not too terribly far to travel. .
Conveniently located right off the highway with no highway noise. Our room was large enough for 3 to be comfortable. Micro, fridge and coffee maker. Everything was clean, neat and 'fresh' looking. A hot breakfast buffet was included. Next door a restaurant so conveniently located we walked. We were very happy with our rates.
Clean hotel and the staff was very helpful. It was easy to find right off the freeway with several restaurants nearby. The rate was excellent and after staying at several more expensive but not nearly as nice hotels, I can't rate this one high enough.
While returning home from Cincinnati, we called this Best Western Inn and Gina, at their front desk, was very cheerful, helpful, professional and pleasant in making our reservations, which is not always the case with many motels and Inns. Four Stars for Gina. Our suite was very clean, well appointed and was very comfortable. The free breakfast that was available was the top of the line, unlike many motels that provide that service. This Best Western Inn is, in our opinion, could easily be rated as a 3 or 4 Star facility. Plus the rates were very competitive compared to all the Motels and Inns we have stayed in over the past 45 years of our travels along the I-75 from Miami to Cincinnati. We highly recommend this particular Best Western to all that are tired of high rates, smelly and half clean rooms and frequent less helpful staff. Four stars here. This will now be our targeted Best Western Inn in the Atlanta area! Thank you Gina (front desk) and our compliments to the ownership for providing such a top notch Inn.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Gina gave great advice about directions and places to eat. I would recommend McDonough Best Western As A great location to use as a vacation stop over.
We arrived late from Atlanta with 2 sleeping grandchildren I tow. When we got to our room, our initial response was, "Wow, how nice!" Until I opened up the queen sized sofa bed for my grand kids and it had no sheets. Went to the front desk and found out they were out of blankets and pillows. She gave me 1 fitted sheet and 1 top sheet only! Had to give them our pillows and our blankets. When we got in our bed, it was gritty, like sandy, dirty! I got up and sprayed it with a can of Lysol I carry and wiped it off. It was past midnight and we were exhausted. Then the next morning, the breakfast buffet was the worst I have ever seen! People working were nice. It wasn't their fault.
Totally enjoyed my stay at Best Western McDonough. Our room was very spacious and clean. We loved the refrigerator in our room, also ice machine and drink vending machine on our floor near the elevator. We enjoyed the pool and complimentary breakfast. Friendly staff, especially the lady keeping the breafast area stocked and delicious. Great location close to lots of restaurants and shopping at the Oultet stores. Lots of free parking around hotel. This hotel is a great deal all around. Applebee's is right next door a quick walk.
I cannot recommend this motel enough. Gina the front desk personnel on duty was a font of helpful information. Offering referral and discounts for dinner and room rates for my mother and I. The room was spacious and clean. Attention to details obvious
Chose this hotel because it was highly rated and well-priced for area. It was clean, comfortable, and felt safe. Gina at the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. I'll stay here again when I need a hotel in this area.
Great staff, clean hotel. Nice amenities. We stopped for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the amenities. Gina was the best front desk employee anyone could hope for. We look forward to returning.
Great everything was very good. Grandkids loved it. We stayed here last year also. Pool was warm Hot tube was out of order though. My granddaughter doesn't like Elevators and the stairs were at the far end of the halls.
Room is very nice , bed is comfortable. Restaurants are close by. Walking distance is a Apple Bees and a mexican place. Close to interstate without the noise. Gina welcomed us and was very informative about local items. Rooms are clean and large.
Very Clean, warm atmosphere, very kind front desk clerks, breakfast was good , Coffee Exceptional, rooms very nice, Location perfect! Walking distance to foods!1 Great!.. Ooops, not good: One issues : the staff failed to provide any wash clothes for day 2 stay???? I would definitely stay again
This is, by far, the nicest hotel we've stayed at in years! It's family friendly and well-suited for business travel. The rooms were beautiful and every aspect of the hotel was clean. The manager was friendly and the staff happily accommodated any request. The pool and whirlpool were clean and larger compared with most indoor pools. The hotel is located near some great restaurants and their complimentary breakfast was excellent. They also allowed pets. We'll definitely stay there again!
My family was driving from Indiana to Orlando and wanted somewhere clean and budget-friendly to stay and break up our trip. This Best Western was perfect. The front desk staff was very friendly, our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. You can tell it's an older hotel but it has been nicely remodeled. It's not a Hilton, but that's not what we were looking for. I would highly recommend!
The hotel did not quite live up to most of the reviews. It is located in a quiet somewhat remote area; however, there are two decent restaurants in walking distance and several others a short drive away. The room was updated, spacious and comfortable. The bed was comfortable except for the small pillows. The room was clean except for a few housekeeping issues (loose hair on one of the pillows). The bathroom faucet made a high pitched noise when turned on. The elevator was very small but seemed to handle the number of guests adequately. The breakfast area was too small and not well maintained. The pool area looked nice but you have to go through the breakfast area to get in. Front desk clerk was efficient but not very friendly. We had requested a high level floor and she asked if we had to have the third floor. Parking was adequate; however, large trucks took up several spaces.
This is one of the better Hotels i have stayed in. Best Western has stepped up their game, at least in this area. Overall a nice place to stay. Convenient to everything. Nice pool and hot tub. Only issue we had was vending machines being empty, and one on the 3rd floor taking money. But the lady at the front desk, returned the $1.50 it took. At one point, we went to use the hot tub and there was just to many screaming kids. Adult hours would be nice
Very comfortable hotel with all of the amenities that you expect, clean, and a gracious staff. The only issue is that our room smelles like smoke...maybe it was a smoking room at some point, but I wasn't happy with the odor. When you are tired and need rest, its perfect.
This property overall is nice for the budget friendly traveler. The pool was a decent size. The whirlpool was small and could probably fit four standard size adults but tightly. Did not use the breakfast bar but from what I saw of the layout it was pretty much a continental selection of cereals, pastries, and fruit. Coffee and Juice provided as well. The beds we had in the room were fairly uncomfortable as the mattresses were deformed from usage and wear. The overall appearance outside and inside was very nice. The employees were also helpful at check-in and check-out. Warrants just an average rating from me.
My sister and I traveled from South Florida to Indiana and back (picking up a cousin in Kentucky along the way) and we stayed in several different places during our six-day marathon. This Best Western turned out to be the best hotel of the lot and at a great price! The rooms are very spacious; we had two queen sized beds plus a sofa and coffee table in the TV area. The bathroom was average but the lighting and shower pressure were good. The one eyesore I noticed was a poor caulking between the tub and the door frame. But, other than that, the entire premises was well-maintained and immaculately clean. We arrived late in the evening so I tried to sleep in a bit, waking up just as the breakfast period was ending. I think 9:30 a.m. is a little early to shut down the breakfast serving, but my sister was impressed with the offerings. Overall a pleasant experience. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to my friends.
I tried different hotels in the area. This is the best one for the value. I always use them when I'm in the area. Definitely recommend them. Gina at the front desk is great. They have free breakfast. Many restaurants nearby
All front desk clerks were very nice and knowledgeable. They were very helpful and I particularly enjoyed meeting and conversing with Todd Parker. A very intelligent young man with a lot to offer. If I were to return to the area I would definitely stay there. I'll always remember Todd as he continued to remember my name. Thank you for a great experience. Lamar Wright Sr.
We recently stayed at this location. Great value for your dollar. Room was very nice and had a large sitting area. Only complaint was the room is somewhat dark. Needs more lighting. Great breakfast buffet. Will definitely use this location when in the area again.
I found the room to very nice, clean, and quiet with plenty of water pressure in the shower. I was welcomed to a nice and cool room as I entered on a very hot day. I highly recommend this motel but wish it was dog friendly for my next planned trip through the area.
Good location easy access from highway clean hotel friendly staff decent breakfast overall very good experience two restaurants basically in the same parking lot to choose from. one of them offers a discount if you show your room key.
Only had a short stop but very welcoming guest service. Location and rates were outstanding. Breakfast was also very good. Room was very clean and comfortable. outstanding staff. We will stay there again.
This hotel recently did an upgrade and the hotel is really nice and upscale. Everything was outstanding from check in to check out. The staff was friendly and nice. Great area and food and shopping is within walking distance
The staff was friendly, comfortable beds, breakfast available, indoor pool and Jacuzzi. The best thing was the availability to make our room cooler at night. A must stay if you need to stop!! It is off the highway!
I came into this hotel without a reservation and Gina, the lady at the desk, could not have been nicer. She greeted a road-weary traveler with grace and hospitality. Also the facilities were very clean and nice and the price was very reasonable. I just wanted to say to the staff and particularly Gina, Thanks so much!!
This was one of the cleanest "budget" hotel I have ever been in! The room was clean, very spacious, and well kept. The hotel staff was friendly and competent! Best Western is going to be my go to chain hence forth!
Will stay here again. Very clean and friendly staff. Well maintained and modern up to date decor. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of choices. Checking in and out was easy and fast. The rooms were clean with free wifi and 50 inch LED TV was nice.
The room was very clean and comfortable with lots of places to eat near by. Not far off of the interstate at all. Super courteous staff was very polite and helpful and I usually pass on breakfasts that are included but they had the best continental breakfast ever.
Great location for a highway stop. Three restaurants within walking distance. Gina at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Overall a good experience. A few things Best Western could consider if trying to compete with Fairfield by Marriott. Need to have feather pillows available. A little noisy in the room. The wind whistled through the window which was sealed.
This hotel was super nice. Gina who checked us in was very congenial. We had a king size bed and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good with many choices. They even had a pancake maker plus the waffle maker, eggs, sausage, yogurt......YUM! We definitely would stay here again.
this is a nice motel. it was under construction but the area was clean. remodling the motel & will be nice when they get finished. the staff was friendly & professional. the room was clean & comfortable , the bed was good I rested well, over all a good stay
My family (myself, husband, and 18 month old son) stayed here on our way back from Florida on Friday, May 12. The front desk staff was friendly. The hotel was clean and our room was very comfortable. The bathroom is a touch on the small side, but adequate for our needs. Our room was a suite, so we had plenty of room for our son's pack n play. One of the lamps in the room had a built in nightlight, which was a nice feature. I did receive a call on the day of check-in from the hotel needing to confirm my reservation. This was a little inconvenient as we were on the road. I don't think I've ever had to actually confirm a hotel reservation before. So if you stay here, be aware that you'll need to talk to them on the day of check-in to let them know you are, indeed, coming. We plan on doing the Florida drive again in the future and would certainly consider staying here again.
Have stayed at this hotel once before and it will remain our choice when visiting the area in the future. All the staff is wonderful and caring. Very efficient. Well maintained and clean property. Breakfast is well supplied and a good compliment to the stay. One less stress when travelling. Check in and out is very efficient. And the property is in an easy to get to location with many restaurants and shops close by for last minute needs.
The staff was pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and there was a good variety. It was an overnight stop on a long trip so we did not use some of the available amenities. We would use this hotel the next time we travel the same route.
They were remodeling but still a pleasant stay. Everything was clean and the customer service was great, especially Gina at the front desk. She spoke to me and called me by name each time I walked through the lobby.
I had to make a quick stop to rest before a business pick-up so I booked a room at Best Western due to the location and price. I was surprised at the quality of the room, the space, the great bed and cleanliness. I had just come off 8 nights of staying in hotels from Orlando, to Miami, Fl and this one was better than 90% of those hotels.
Great stay and I would stay again! Good breakfast food and very quite. The pool had a little too much chlorine, you can smell it once walking into the pool area but I would always stay here when I come again!
Nice hotel. Rooms are very comfortable and large. Beds are fine. But noise from room above was terrible. We reported it but the thumping and banging continued way past 11 pm. Not acceptable for road travelers who need a good night's sleep.
The hotel was very easy to find! Very clean!! The one thing I always worry about are bedbugs! I check everything when I first walk into the room! This place was very clean! NO BEDBUGS! The bathrooms were very clean!! It looked like I cleaned the hotel room myself!! I loved that the room had a seating area and a desk too! It was nice! The only issue we had was not being able to watch a DVD with our kids that we had brought. There was no DVD player and it would not allow us to change the TV to an HDMI connection so that we could watch it off the laptop.
This is sort of sad story, but with a kind and gracious end. My husband and I often stay with Best Western whenever possible when we travel. We had a lovely vacation all planned with a few stops along our way to Tampa Fl. and back home. We had booked a night at this BW in McDonough GA, but, my darling passed away just a couple of weeks prior to our travel date. I thought I'd cancelled all of the hotel reservations for our trip, however, I missed cancelling this reservation. I really didn't expect to have our fee refunded but they did after I explained what happened. They've been very kind and considerate and I applaud them for their thoughtfulness. Thank you again, Connie
Very good experience and I will definitely be back very soon. Gina at check in was very professional, polite and helpful. The room was neat, clean and comfortable. This location is an terrific value. The shower head was awesome and I hunting for a couple of them for my house. The very nice lady at checkout told me where to buy them. Only recommendation would be to upgrade to Kcups in the room for the coffee maker.
We usually use the Hilton chain hotels, but we chose this BW because of its location and were quite pleasantly surprised. Gina at the desk was great and so were all other staff members. We were guided to good Mexican food at a discount (Mesquite) within walking distance. Bed was great. Breakfast good. What made it better than Hampton? Price!
Stayed one night in room 319, a double king 2 room suite. The rooms was clean and the bed I slept in was comfy. I took a late check out and did not sample the breakfast. Gina at the front desk was super nice and helpful with an area dinner choice. The location of this hotel is tucked back off the highway so it was very quiet, even with renovations ongoing. Although my room was clean, there were a couple issues with it. Pictures attached. There was awful staining on the window covering in the back bedroom. In the front room sitting area, apparently the cable ran under the carpet across the middle of the room. I did not realize this at first, as it is highly unusual, and I noticed it when I stepped in it with bare feet and it hurt my heel. I suggest this be corrected as it could be a trip hazard , especially for elderly, and is painful to step on. Because of this, I almost gave the review a 3; however, Gina was so kind and helpful, and I liked the cleanliness (except the stain), and the quietness was a plus.
Our family has such a great time in your hotel. The beds are the most comfy and the breakfast is always ready! Regina at the desk is so friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Hot Tub is always a plus after a long drive.
Nice stop over place. Great location if you are driving from the North and want start the next morning South of Atlanta. R Most rooms have been recently remodeled and working on more. They were just finishing a major upgrade to the exterior and landscaping.
The hotel was great, The location is wonderful. The room was very nice, clean, quiet, and enjoyable. I will return to this hotel each time I come back to visit McDonough. The fitness center was nice, the pool was very nice, and the free breakfast was good also.
The rooms we booked were outstanding. They appeared brand new. Very clean, well decorated, and extremely comfortable. We normally use a different (higher priced) hotel brand, but will look to BW in the future.
There is a first time for everything, and this was the first for the worst customer service. This review is lengthy but worth the read. I was greeted by Gina, who seemed nice at first, but ended up being very nasty towards my sister and I. I made my reservation within 5 days of traveling from NC to GA for a family trip. The person I made my reservation was very nice and considerate of my Best Western Rewards (Helen) and honored the online price with my Best Western Rewards. The AAA and Best western Rewards rates were the same online. Ms. Gina thought otherwise and asked for my AAA card, which I am not a member of. Being that I'm not a AAA member it took the price of my room up. Plus, since when did Best Western or any hotel add $10 for each additional person. After I stated that it would be 3 adults and 1 child, now to 2 adults and 1 child (which I talked it over with my family to make accommodations), she stated "if I find out you have more people staying in the room, I'm going to ask you to leave" and "Well we are running out of rooms, if you want to cancel you can; we can sell your room". I've worked in customer service and have never treated or told any one such a statement. One of the managers came out and told her to honor our price after my sister suggested me not to sign the bill. To make matters worst there was a gentleman who checked in before me and she gave him full details on breakfast, amenities, and discounts with restaurants in the area. Did she mention any discounts to restaurants to me? No. After discussing the bad customer service with my family we decided to cancel and stay elsewhere which was 10 times better and way more friendlier. Plus they did not charge my card upon signing the bill, I could pay in cash when checking out, and did not get asked questions about how many guests I had. Breakfast, amenities, and room were 5 stars. In the past, I've enjoyed lodging at Best Western with no issues, but this experience added a bad taste to my mouth.
Our room was very nice. Bed was a little soft but clean. Pool could use a mid day cleaning. Cold and hot items for breakfast. Coffee was great! Near lots of food and shopping. Hotel staff were very friendly.
Needed a hotel for a visit to family in Covington. Due to the Masters tournament in Augusta, Covington hotels were either sold out or their rates were so inflated that they were beyond what we were willing to pay. This Best Western had good reviews so we gave it a try. The hotel has some age but has had recent updates. The front desk clerk (sorry I don't remember her name) was welcoming, pleasant and very helpful. Our room was on the 2nd floor about 3 doors from the elevator but we never experienced noise issues. Hotel entrance was clean as was the lobby and our room. Breakfast was a good assortment; sausage, scrambled eggs, bread, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, pastries, juices, etc. Overall a good experience!
great room for our stopover on our way to Florida vacation after driving 12 hours on the I 75 breakfast was great with lots of choices pool was nice but we did not use it because our bathing suits were packed in another bag next year we will use the indoor pool great location right off interstate will stay here next year when we go to Florida
This place was a great location right off the highway and conveniently near a couple of restaurants. The front desk was manned by Gina. She was awesome! The room was clean and comfortable. However, the pool area is greatly in need of some maintenance. The jets in the hot tub barely functioned, and the area badly needed grouting. There was only one thin towel. Our room did not lock so we had to just use the dead bolt. Someone from maintenance was called in, but spraying with WD-40 did not solve the problem. The area around the elevator was very dirty. As convenient as this was, we will try someplace else next time.
McDonough has many good places to stay. The Best Western was new for me. The rooms were quite standard, but good. The hotel is just a little further from the interstate, but the rate was a little lower than some. Good value. Good choice.
Great room, great breakfast and great customer service, especially from Todd Parker. We started coming here 6 years ago as a stopover from Chicago to Miami and our 1st encounter with this location was with Todd and the warm welcome that he gave to everyone that was checking in. Because of Mr. Parker and the quality of the rooms and servive, we will always stay here on our stopover.
Stayed overnight on a long travel day. The room was fine and the staff friendly. It was not overly crowded when we visited, so the hotel was quiet. They are currently renovating, which is always a positive thing. The breakfast was a nice touch. I have seen a wider variety at other locations, but it was enough for us.
The last time we were here we had a challenge; but this stay was awesome. We had our best sleep ever, which is number one for our priorities. We also thought thos place was already great; but there ongoing commitment to continuing imprpvement is a great sign for their customers. There king size beds are so comfortable and the room is large enough to be called a studio +. The one thing we woiuldlike to see is a separate switch for the fan and light in the bathroom. Gina on the front desk during checkin was very helpful. As well our check out lady was good too! Even with a major makeover/reno nothing interferred with our stay.
After a careful registration was done with the corporate phone line, they manage to mess it up. Locally Gina the hotel clerk was able to turn a bad situation around. After 7 hours of driving I did not want the hassle of an issue...Gina took over and made it a great stay. Thank you Gina... awesome job!
Nice place to stay for the weekend. Everything was great. Hotel was under renovation, but the staff made sure you were not inconvenienced. Breakfast was good and hot. Beds were comfortable and the room had a lot of space.
Super big room with refrigerator and microwave and sofa. nice breakfast offered. Gina at the front desk was a living doll , she even got the hubby a glass of milk at 9 o'clock at night, and told me that I was actually using two best w.. Rewards cards and how to fix it
For a very strange reason, this place is rated #1!?! It appears that ratings here are "loaded" by fictitious guests. Barely worth the $80 price. If it looks to good to be true, it is! Cannot imagine how bad #s 2+ are. Carpets were not adequately vacuumed. Bath is old and rough. General areas, acknowledging renovation in progress, were not acceptable. Breakfast was good I must say.
Our family spent one night at this hotel. I went off ratings, and they were right! This hotel was above my expectations. Best Western has won me over with this hotel. The staff was very helpful . Thanks Cheryl night staff and thank you to the lady in the morning who made copies for us. The room was quiet. Beds were more comfortable than our own! What! The shower water pressure was amazing! I've stayed at more expensive hotels that were not as up to par with the shower. This hotel was A+ Breakfast was great. I was shocked at how tasty the coffee was to me. I like my coffee fancy. Overall, the stay was perfect! Thank you Best Western!
Staff went above and beyond the normal to help us after a rough day on the road. They made accommodations for our RV and car, even meeting us in the parking lot to help us get parked. The room was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good with plenty of selection.
The motel was convenient for our stop on the way to Hilton Head Island. The room was comfortable and up do date. While I didn't use the exercise or spa facility it looked very nice. Would definitely use this facility on future trips.
My family stopped here just for one night while traveling home from a recent trip. We normally stay at this exit but at a different hotel. This time we chose the Best Western basically because it had good reviews and was about $50 cheaper than the place we normally stay. We didn't have any major issues. The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. We could just tell it's an older hotel that they have tried to paint and fix up. Our room was very dark at night. We ended up taking the lamp shades off but it didn't really help. Rooms were quiet. We slept well, as well as you sleep with two babies. Breakfast the next morning was typical standard contention breakfast. Nothing fancy, but hey, it's free. Over all, pleasant stay, especially for the cost.
Easy to find, average clean and comfortable. We didn't try any of the pool or gym facilities. The breakfast was ok. Cold cereal, square eggs, sausage, make your own pancake... I'd stay again for an overnight before a flight.
Best Western Hotels have always provided me with a feeling of safety and comfort when traveling. I do not fly and realize that driving can be dangerous, especially in this day and age where there is so much anger in the world.
room was very nice .enjoyed pool and hot tub with grandson.two .eating places within walking distant.parking clean.out side of hotel was nice.inside of hotel was nice .breakfast area was nicely arranged and the food was great. i would stay again if in the area.
This was a good stop for an overnight along I 75. Easy on easy off. Can walk across parking lot to Applebee's. Many other nearby restaurant choices. Staff was pleasant at check in and breakfast was predictable. Had a few fresh fruit choices too. Rooms were very nice....exceeded expectations.
Only good that I can say is room was clean and bed comfortable. Front desk service was unprofessional and not concerned with guest satisfaction. Had to threaten to find another hotel and demand refund before clerk tried to help. Also, had a suite and the coffee/tea/bath amenities had not been restocked. I will not stay at this hotel again.
Great suite. Good service. Good breakfast with a range of standard items, loved the biscuits and gravy with sausage patties. There is a waffle iron and a pancake machine to make your own. There is a pool. We enjoyed our brief stay.
I stayed at this location for business Oct 10-13 2016. The customer service was GREAT. Zaydah was very helpful and answered any questions I had. The hotel was clean and neat. The only complaint that I have is the business center. I was traveling on business and the equipment that you had in the business center was very outdated and it made it hard to work. The printers did not have wireless printing or scanning capability. I also had to go to the front desk to have copies made. It would be very helpful if you would replace the current printers at this location with some wireless capable all in one printer, scanner, copiers. There are lots of truck drivers that still need the capability to fax their paperwork to their dispatchers to show proof of delivery.
Stayed here in Sept. 2016 and no problem. Stayed here on Oct. 18, 2016 and all kinds of problems. Assigned a room that was quiet and got assigned a room next to I-75, and it had a messed up bed, like somebody had used it recently. requested another room that was quieter and was moved to another room that was on the other side of the hotel away from the I-75 highway. Now this room had a shower rod hanging down with fresh glue on each side just barely holding it up. Big scrape on the wall beside left upper corner of couch. Remote control for TV only worked when it wanted to, very aggravating. will not return here again, too many other brands out there with the same prices.....
We were traveling down to Florida and need a rest stop. This place was easy to find. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms wit comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good . There is free wi- fy and coffee maker in the room. Cara was very helpful with breakfast and fast check out. Very good employee-loves her job.
Location and access to eateries is very good. Mattresses are excellent and breakfast is wonderful. Found the hotel very pricey for weekends. So if in the area would probably look for cheaper hotels which is sad because the hotel is so nice but with our Canadian dollar (no fault of Best Western) it makes it much to expensive,
Stayed here last time we traveled through Georgia and had such a great time we decided to stay here again! Everyone was very nice. The breakfast is great (love the pancake printer). And the beds are very comfortable.
My wife and I had the opportunity to stay in this hotel as a mini vacation, and it was excellent. The room was large, comfortable and clean. It is within walking distance of both Applebees and El Agave restaurants, giving options other than trying to order pizza or piling into the car. The in-room Jacuzzi was large enough to actually stretch out a bit and relax in, a perfect way to relax after a day of work. And the staff were unfailingly polite, friendly, and helpful. Perhaps one of my favorite hotels in the McDonough area!
Hotel did a great job hosting us during Hurrican Matthew - we were heading to Savannah but it was shutdown beause of the hurricane. They were very helpful Nice location - freeway close was good - the famil was all over atlanta so we had goot time learning Atlanta
Friendly, comfortable hotel. Rooms clean, welcoming. Bedding always appealing, beds comfortable, more than adequate soft' fluffy towel in bathroom. Good selection for breakfast, something for everyone. Many restaurants in area, within easy reach. For smokers, benches have been placed outside the pool area, so you can now sit and have a cigarette without standing at the entrance to the hotel. A much more attractive scenario. Will definitely continue using this hotel on the way back to Indiana from Florida.
A large room with sofa, desk, microwave, refrigerator, and a king size bed in a clean, temperature regulated room at a great price - who could want more. Well, the full breakfast in nicely located off the lobby and it met, and exceeded our expectations. The friendly greeting by Ami upon arrival was matched by the staff during our stay. Everyone was both friendly and helpful
Nice hotel! Ami at the front desk was so nice and helpful! Clean hotel with good breakfast!! Nice heated pool! Very clean. Rooms were clean and had a good smell when i entered! Parking is good and safe. Close to restaurant that is within walking distance! About 50 feet away. -carl (Ram Lakun)
the hotel was nice and had a comfortable bed, but the staff at check in / check out were terrible. My credit card was declined because the clerk put in the wrong expiration date ,they charged my debit card when I asked them not to, that I would pay cash if the issue with the CC wasn't fixed by check out. Debit card was charged and I'm still waiting for a credit.
While most 2-3+ star hotels have flat screen TVs, rarely do you find a hotel with HD reception. This one has it and it makes TV watching so much better. The hotel is nice inside, the breakfast was serviceable, and the location was great.
I was expecting a lot more from this Best Western since it received such a high rating and rank. The decor was very nice but there were a few things that bothered me. The hotel is very dark both in the lobby and in the rooms. Although it's a non-smoking hotel, the room still smelled of smoke. Our water faucet made a loud high pitched sound anytime it was on- loud enough to disturb anyone else in the room especially if they are sleeping. The staff that I encountered were very nice.
We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised. Our room was clean & nice; we were concerned about "dog friendly". We had a fairly quiet room but had we been on the other side of the hall, closer to the interstate, it could have been a problem. Breakfast was more than adequate with a nice selection of fruit, cereal, yogurt, danishes, & waffle maker. We'd stay again.
This was an excellent place to stay. Very clean. Beds were comfortable. I was so happy. The prices was very reasonable. Breakfast, was easy to find. Parking was very good. Staff was very helpful. I have only good things to say.
Pros: The hotel has been recently renovated, so for the time being everything is clean. And it is well kept. It is far enough off the main road to be quiet. The HVAC unit is new enough to not be overly loud; same with the in-room small frigde. Plenty of sockets for recharging electronics Inexpensive Cons: No character -- it felt a lot like a standard shoebox, rather than a hotel room with personality. Our room was dark; the windows are small and, like too many hotels, the bed is placed near the window and the HVAC unit, while the couch/desk sitting area is away from the light source and near the bathroom. This is backwards and I wish hotels would realize this. At night, the lights in the hallway are bright enough to light up the room, from under the door and around the door. The lights from the parking lot shine under and around the curtains. If you're sensitive to bright light at night, be forewarned. Lumpy pillows. I found the bed OK, but mushy. Only the barest of amenities in the bathroom -- no showercap, for example. Thin towels.
We recently planned a week long trip to Disney from Kentucky. Considering the 14 hour trip, I decided to split it up into 2 days. McDonough Georgia, just south of Atlanta by about 30 miles, was about 8 hours south of home and allowed us to avoid Atlanta traffic on the second day of the trip. When booking, I requested a room close to the lobby. They don't guarantee requests, but they hit it on the head for us. As I pulled in, someone was just pulling out of the closest parking to the front door. The pool was just off from the lobby, and our room overlooked the lobby from the second floor balcony, In addition, an Applebee's is their next door neighbor. After 8 hours in the car, we checked in easily, found a clean, comfortable room, and were off to dinner without having to get back in the car. After dinner, we played with our 2 kids in the pool for an hour and slept like babies before leaving the next day to finish the last 6 hours of our trip. We loaded up on apples and oranges at the free breakfast, and didn't have to worry about checking out at the front desk. Everything was done for us and the price was hardly over $100 even with tax. It was a very easy on/off from I75 and had plenty of gas stations at the same exit. Needless to say, we were very happy with the stay and will certainly plan to stay there on future trips to Disney.
We stopped here on the way to Florida from Michigan for my niece's wedding. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Gina at the desk was helpful and very nice and she checked us in very quickly. I would definitely stay here again.
This is the only hotel with free breakfast. I would consider to book Best Western from now on. I try other hotel, like Hilton, they do charge for breakfast and parking. Best Western hotel is the choice for every family if they need a decent place to stay.
When we found out that evening we'd have to spend the night in McDonough, I'd booked a room on Expedia thinking all was well. But when we got to the desk it turned out I'd accidentally booked for the following night. The exceptional Gina helped me switch it over and then let us go freshen up while she, going over and above, persistently tied up loose ends left by Expedia. Next time I'll do as she said and book directly with BW. The room was gorgeous, clean and comfortable. Their full-spread breakfast was just what we needed the next morning. Whenever we return, we'll be sure to bring swimsuits and try the pool. Thank you, BW and especially Gina, for turning a hectic unplanned overnight stay into a luxurious experience.
We checked in at Best Western Mc donough, Ga. after a long days drive up from the west coast of Florida, we were on our way to the octoberfest celebration in Helen, Ga. Checked in on Wednesday by Gina which was very helpful, in that the room that we were initially assigned the sink did not drain properly and was promptly moved to a nicer room. Everything went well rested up and away the next morning.
This was a very clean hotel and a great value. The staff (especially Gina) was efficient, friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and had a nice sitting area. The towels were fluffy and nice. I slept like a rock in the lovely king bed.
I stopped here for one night based on the reviews. But I was very disappointed the whole place is old, old carpet, broken edges. I was scared to walk barefoot in that carpet. The bed sheets looked super old. The pool looked horrible. Water pressure was ok.
The desk personnel was very polite, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the breakfast was better than normal for a prepared fast meal. Room was clean and well maintained. the only issue, very minor, was that the channel listing did not match. That was the ONLY issue I had
I chose this spot from other review but was still pleasantly surprised. It started with a very easy access off the freeway and we were pulling a small boat so I was worried about parking. No problem. The front desk clerk Gina was super nice. Our king bed suite room was very clean and huge! The bed was comfy and shower pressure wonderful. We walked next door to Applebee's for dinner. Didn't want to get back in the car. Could have walked to a Mexican restaurant or a barbecue place. We left the hotel before breakfast was completely ready but grab and go bags of fruit, granola bar, and water were given along with a complimentary USA Today paper. The hostess said although full breakfast was not ready we could help ourselves to what was out. I'd stay here again for sure!
This was our second stay at this hotel. Love the oversized rooms. The pool is very relaxing. The morning breakfast has everything to get your day started. Gina the checkin desk woman was friendly and treated Us so nice. Thank you- will be back!!!
Good access and reasonable rates.. Room had an intolerable odor. We were moved to another room which was better but not great Nite clerk sprayed deodorizer which helped, They apparently don't keep a/c on if not occupied. Some breakfast items were not available and I was told that they were not allowed to post any signs to that effect. e.g. pancake machine was down and butter was not available.
This hotel is very nice. I would stay here again. The staff was very friendly the breakfast was great the room was super clean I was completely okay with my 1 year old running around in the room bare foot the room was just that clean. I really don't have anything negative to say about this hotel.
The best employees! Went out of their way to help us get a room. We were a road weary group traveling to visit an ailing family member. One member of the group has mobility issues and we had to travel with a pet. Both of these needs were handled in a very kind and professional manner. I can't thank the staff and management enough for making a late night stop so comfortable and for being so accommodating.
My wife and I spent a long drive from Wisconsin on our way to Florida. After visiting the National Corvette Museum in Nashville and touring the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, TN, we found ourselves debating whether we should check into a hotel or continue our drive to the Sunshine State. We decided, correctly, that a night's stay south of Atlanta would be the best for us. As BW platinum card members, we called the 800 BW number and was assisted in our selecting the Best Western McDonough Inn and Suites in McDonough, GA. We were once again very pleased with the property, but most of all with the friendly staff, clean & comfortable room, delicious breakfast, and overall condition of the property. We would highly recommend a stay at this property. In fact, on our return trip "up north", we may very well make it a point to stay a night at BW McDonough Inn and Suites.
The room was clean and very nice. Gina at the front desk, after a couple of phone calls, was able to direct us to the motel, which wasn't the easiest place to find, and got us checked into a very nice room. Gina was very pleasant and also very helpful.
First off let me start by saying Amy is freaking amazing , very hospitable, very attentive, and did I mention freaking amazing . She was so polite and pleasant towards my little girl and family . And that's rare this day in time. Just wanted to give her 10 thumbs up.
I fully enjoyed my stay, the room was very nice an clean an comfortable. everything was to my liking i took a swim in the pool and then a dip in the hot tub after breakfast. i didn't see bacon but the waffle maker an coffee juice was on point. i would definitely stay again and the staff was very caring an pleasant.
This was a wonderful over night stay. Greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Fast registration since we booked via Trip advisor. Room was very clean and inviting. The bed was so comfortable that we overslept. Breakfast was a bonus and got us off to a wonderful day of travel. I would recommend this hotel.
We booked this while driving back home to Florida. Once we arrived at the hotel, the young lady at the Front Desk was checking someone else in. She took the time to greet me and state she would be right with me. She was quick and efficient and took care of checking me in and was Super Friendly and wished me a good night's rest. I believe her name is Gwen. The room was very spacious and very clean. I am very picky about cleanliness where I stay - this was top notch! The room has a refrigerator and microwave and a nice size flat screen Tv, couch. The Bed and Pillows were super comfy - another thing I am very picky about as I cannot sleep on firm mattresses. I highly recommend this facility. We didn't use the pool as it was late when we arrived. They do serve breakfast and it is the standard Hotel Breakfast.
Just minutes south of Atlanta, unless you drive through it. A great stop to rest and shake off the ATL. Easy to access the I-75. Lots of stores nearby. Our room was large, clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Will comeback here!
Unfortunately my family had to come up for a funeral and made last minute ressies at this hotel. Gina at the front desk, was quite accommodating and we appreciated it so much. Free wifi was a bonus. We enjoyed the free breakfast as well. The only downfall to me was the pool needs updating and the fitness center didn't even have water or towels. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Met our needs and I would recommend it to someone else.
Friendly welcome from 'fabulous' Gina. The room was clean and large - I understand the comments from others about a musty smell but agree with owner response that it is hot & rooms are closed off. Absolutely no signs of mold or mildew. Bed was comfortable. My only disappointment was in the wifi which I finally gave up on after getting kicked off so much.
Stayed the night on our way to Florida, family of four. Room was large and clean. Must have been renovated recently because it looked modern. Beds were very comfortable. I usually wake up from hotels with a stiff back, especially after driving 15 hours. Pool and hottub were great and breakfast was a bonus. Would stay here again!!
I stayed here for 1 night (passing through) The hotel is modern and clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The only downfall was the breakfast. The eggs were dried out and luke warm... I also had orange juice, coffee and a sausage patty with were "okay". I can't complain too much about a free breakfast. The breakfast was appreciated.
Seems like Best Western is upgrading its image. This one was recently renovated and looks great. The room was clean and comfortable; included micro wave and refrig. The service was beyond friendly! Convenient to interstate, restaurants and shopping.
This is a great hotel that you can stay at for short or long trips... Friendly Customer Service at Check-In and Check-Out... Comfortable rooms and overall friendly environment. The breakfast is excellent and the Free WIFI is unbelievable. I really enjoyed my stay there and I would tell anyone that they can and will enjoyed themselves too.
Stayed the night here after a rainy and tiring day at Six Flags. Very friendly staff and room looked clean. Hotel looks to have been updated within the last year or so. We stayed on the first floor and they have a complimentary breakfast that's included. Ice machine is clean and works fine as well. Price was within our budget.
Great price great room, just the Job,very hot swimming pool, generous breakfast lots fresh fruit,Lovely pancake machine, best breakfast we had after touring many hotels, room was big and bed was so comfy, spotless, bathroom very soft fluffy towels, great all round
The moment we walked in the door, the desk lady was on the phone and she said "if you see any more tell me and I'll come spray something." Our room smelled musty, etc, but the rooms were clean. The service overall wasn't great, luckily we only stayed there for a day.
The hotel was better than we anticipated. The room was very big, the beds extremely comfortable and the room was cool when we first walked in. The check in clerk, Gina, was very professional and polite. She was so helpful and very nice. She had a nice smile that made you feel welcome. I will stay there again and would recommend it to everyone. One of the best hotel experiences i have ever had! Thank you!!!
We stayed here on our way to Florida. We're a family of 5 looking for a nice, CLEAN and affordable hotel. Good breakfast is also a must in order to save us money on breakfast elsewhere. That being said, we couldn't have asked for a better hotel. Checked in close to 9pm and we were greeted at the door by a huge smile and a very friendly welcome from Gina. Super friendly! Check in was quick and the kids were in the pool 20 minutes later. The pool area was a bit warm for non-swimmers but the kids loved the pool and we're in Georgia...it's hot so not really a complaint! It was a comfortable temp for the swimmers and that's really what matters. Pool was clean and well maintained. Room was spotless, tons of pillows and the beds were beyond comfortable. Such a relief after being on the road all day. Breakfast had a great selection and the woman running the show was very accommodating. They had make your own pancakes and waffles, toast, pastries, cereal, fruit, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy and yogurt. Something for everyone in the family. Overall, 5 stars from us and would DEFINITELY stay here again!
Gina and Helen really excelled at customer service! I think that the best thing about staying here was the staff. Everytime I saw an employee they asked how was my stay going and if I needed anything. The room was very spacious and accommodated me and my family. The only downside was the internet, but I'll take great customer service over not so great internet! :)
Probably ok for a business quick stay over. We were on vacation and called ahead to request a room that would accommodate multiple wheelchairs with a roll-in shower. We were given a tiny room on the 2nd floor with an elevator too small to accommodate my ecv. The bath was so small, you had to close the door to use anything. Tub, not shower, was tiny and no transfer bench. We left 4 days early due to hotel's inability to accommodate our needs. Breakfast is lacking. Pool is tiny and over chlorinated.
Our double queen room on the 2nd floor was very musty. It was damp and smelled. It gave me a head ache in minutes. The bathroom faucet made a crazy noise when we ran it. We were given a different room, which was only a little better. We would not have even stayed, except we had just drove a long way and were only staying one night. I would not recommend this hotel.
Hotel employee Gina is above and beyond in customer service! Ideal location and good eateries within walking distance. Internet service needs work. Had problems staying connected and phone wouldn't connect. Overall, I would stay there again.
Very comfortable hotel, fair price,, quality and Nicole went the extra mile in accommodating our hotel needs. A bit off the major freeway but worth the finding this great value. We would definitely stay there again when we travel.
I've preferred Best Western for many years--both before and since retirement--and for many reasons, all over the USA and even once in Paris (France). This hotel might've been the best experience of all!
Friendly staff, clean room, and felt secure. Made use of the pool and enjoyed the facility thoroughly. Could use more staff during peak check in times but the staff there worked very hard to accommodate everyone. Only draw back was the pillows, had to go get our own out of the car as these were very uncomfortable and they had no options.
Staff was friendly and the beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub were awesome especially after the long drive my wife and kiddo had been on. This is a great place to stop after you have gotten out of the busy traffic. The breakfast was good too!
We had been driving about 10 hours and were pretty tired. It was so good to step into a cool, attractive hotel and be greeted by a friendly smile at the check in desk. The hotel is convenient to the highway and easy to find. We had a restful night in the comfortable bed and enjoyed the breakfast before left the following morning.
Very nice hotel. The rooms were filled up but they cut me a deal on a single King. I like Best Western because their staff has proven time and again to be very friendly and helpful to their customers. I highly recommend that you give them a try.
We stopped for a night on our way through town. Gina checked us in and was very gracious and accommodating. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were comfortable. Hallway noise was at a minimum and never heard anyone next to us. The morning breakfast was decent also and better than expected. The only thing I can say negative is the pool didn't appear heated but wasn't bad once you got in. It was a great stay for us!
We arrived got our hotel key and went up to the room, upon arriving to the room we noticed a foul smell so we went back down to the lobby the gal apologized for the smell and quickly set us up with a new room. The room was clean the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was great and the shower was also wonderful thanks for a great nights sleep we will return if we are ever in the area!!!
Staff was very friendly and helpful. They knew our names each time we left and returned. That never happens! Our family had three rooms among us and we were all happy with the rooms. The breakfast was plentiful with a nice variety. The location of the hotel was the best we could get to be near our former home. We were all participating in a final move before the house changes owners. Some of the family enjoyed the hot tub and pool.
We recently took a pleasure trip from our home in Kentucky to Key West, Fl. and stayed in several hotels. Our favorite was the Best Western in McDonough, Ga. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, the breakfast was outstanding, and the employees were friendly, courteous, and helpful. We also thought the cost of the stay was very reasonable. Overall a good place to stay and a good value.
Very nice staff, very nice amenities and rooms were immaculate! I will definitely be using this hotel just to getaway from the kids, for future vacations and getaways.Even if just to go swim in their indoor pool.
nice newer hotel . unfortunately internet is slow and they don't have electrical outlets on the desk . you have to crawl under the desk to plug your stuff in , hard to believe on a newer hotel. they don't even have the table lamps with outlets . staff was nice , breakfast was good
Extremely clean and very quiet. No children running up and down halls with no supervision. Stayed here like hundreds of people on the way to Florida and would definitely return as long as management does not change.
Gina at the front desk was very friendly and attentive. The room and bathroom were clean. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was delicious! We will be back when taking our annual trip to Florida and are driving through Georgia.
This is truly a wonderful property to stay at, clean rooms, amazing staff! Very nice pool, and good coffee! Did i forget very nice beds to sleep on! And a wonderful breakfast to eat, and very kid friendly!
Started with a super friendly checkin person who welcomed us and promised a delicious hot breakfast the next morning! The room was very clean, the bed was totally comfortable, and the breakfast was indeed Delicious with a great selection!!! Dusty worked extra hard to keep the dining area and tables clean between "diners." We considered this an A+ experience!
Our daughter and family just moved to central Illinois and we moved to Florida. So we're establishing new travel patterns, trying out new places to stay, etc. This was a nice stop for us, though we'll probably try to get closer to Atlanta in the future since traffic north was the pits. This hotel was just fine. We asked for a room away from traffic noise and because of the way the hotel sits, I don't know if that is possible. But the noise wasn't horrendous. Our room was clean and good-sized. The people were friendly. Breakfast wasn't anything special but it was fine for what it was. Would we stay here again? Sure.
I stayed here on business. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and in good repair. I was pleased with it and its location. I'd stay here again and I plan to the next time I'm in the area for training. Maybe then I'll have enough time to try the indoor pool.
Great hotel stay for the money. Nice, big, clean rooms and hearty breakfast! Convenient to restaurants - great Mexican place and Applebee's next door. In town regularly for travel ball tournaments and hotel is convenient to several ballparks. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.
Bed & pillows great, hotel clean, and staff was customer service oriented. AC not functioning in Fitness Room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Lighting could stand a little improvement in the rooms. Staff was friendly, helpful, and professional
We stayed April 28, 2016 on our way to Florida. Every staff member we encountered smiled and spoke with friendliness even with 2 large buses of college girls in town for ball tournaments. Our room (201) was quiet and spacious with a sofa, coffee table, desk with armed desk chair, flat screen TV, good lighting, and a quiet air/heating unit in addition to two extremely comfortable beds and other amenities. Shower/tub combo had a grab bar which was very important to me. Water pressure and temperature were great. We waited to eat until ball teams were gone. Things were getting low, but the sweet young lady in charge told us if we could give her a minute she would get us fresh eggs, which she did. We would absolutely stay there again if in the area.
After a long day of driving, we were greeted by someone who genuinely seemed to care about customer service-a rarity in today's world. I often leave places like hotels and restaurants thinking "how could people like that ever be allowed to communicate with customers?" Gina is exactly the kind of person that should be greeting customers. Truly a breath of fresh air. She made a nice hotel even better.
My wife and I stayed here as part of a Mother's Day weekend trip to watch our first Atlanta Braves game in person. The bed and pillows were amazing. We took a nap before the game and slept "like babies" after the game. We wanted to take advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub but never got a chance to do so because the bed and pillows were so comfortable. The hotel is next to an Applebee's and within easy walking distance of a Mexican restaurant. We recommend this hotel if you are ever in the area.
We had an overnight stay in McDonough last weekend, and as usual, looked to Best Western for lodging. Although we've never had a bad experience with BW, this stay rated at the top of our list. From check in to check out, the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the shower was good with lots of hot water. Since we literally were only there to sleep, we didn't use the pool or any of the other facilities, but they appeared to be clean and well maintained. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with hot choices as well as the usual pastries, yogurt and fresh fruit. It was a nice quiet location with easy entry and exit. We will definitely stay here again if we ever find ourselves needing lodging in the McDonough area, and I highly recommend you give them a try as well!
The main reason we stayed at the Best Western was because of the rave reviews on Trip Advisor (and the excellent price). Everything I read from prior guests was true -- great check in experience, wonderful staff, spacious room, wonderful comfortable beds and pillows, good breakfast, etc. My son and his father enjoyed the pool and the hot tub, also.
The location was convenient to baseball fields. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. My son was super excited about the pancake maker at breakfast. lol! Several of our baseball players enjoyed the indoor swimming pool! My only grievance was that our floor did not have an ice machine; therefore, we had to go down to 1st floor each tine w needed ice!
This best western is definitely unique than the other ones and the reason for that is the staff. They were extremely friendly, thoughtful, and accommodating. The free continental breakfast was actually very impressive, nothing that I was expecting. My room was very clean and the staff even extended my checkout to noon for free. Too bad I probably won't be visiting this area anytime soon, but if I do come back I will definitely be staying here. Oh and the indoor pool was a definite plus, my son had a blast!
Staff was very courteous and helpful. Hotel was very clean. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel and staff made my stay pleasurable. If required to travel to this area again will definitely be using this hotel again.
This location was both convenient and well kept. The staff was very professional and courteous. It was an easy check-in and check-out. The décor was beautiful, and well kept. The room was clean and inviting. Would recommend this location to everyone. Did not use any of the amenities offered and left too early to enjoy the breakfast. Great experience.
This room also extra long, had a sofa and so the bathroom was way far away from the bed, but there was a night light in the bathroom so I could see. Bed was confy, freeway roared next door. The midnight receptionist was perky and friendly. Stark lobby. We skipped their breakfast which we went to go to be at 8:30 in the morning and the hot trays were basically empty.
This hotel was extremely efficient including front desk staff; cleanliness of the room; and the breakfast items. Easy entry and exit from the interstate. We like the Best Western chain of hotels and use them as often as possible.
Staff was super nice. Room was clean. Would not recommend going to Applebee's next door. Horrible service. My kids loved the pool. The breakfast was very filling and there where a lot of items to choose from.
I usually look for BW when I'm travaling. Their beds and pillows are always clean and comfy so I get a good nights sleep which what i'm typically looking for. Pricing is comparable too other hotels at their level, usually a little less.
The hotel was clean and convenient. We arrived late (11:00 PM) and our keys were waiting for us. The bed was comfortable, and the room was spacious. Breakfast the next day was great - especially the biscuits and gravy - and the coffee was good.
Stayed with the family overnight on the way from Cincy to St. Pete. Hotel was clean, convenient, pool and hot tub was nice feature and room was huge for the 4 of us. Liked it so much we immediately booked the same hotel for return trip after vacation in Florida!! Highly recommend!!
Very good quality for all the experiences. We would definitely stay again. The rooms were well appointed, the shower water pressure was quite good and the breakfast was hot and reasonable. The coffee was very good!
I checked in around 7 pm when a bunch of families were checking in so I had to wait for a luggage cart. The front desk women were very nice. The elevator is small and dirty but the room was large and very clean. Hallway noise was kind of loud and I wasn't even near the elevator. It must have just been a busy time for the hotel. The bed was pretty comfortable. They also have an indoor heated pool and hot tub. I would stay here again.
This was our first time at this location and it will be on our itinerary for our next trip down to Florida. My husband and I were very happy with our stay here, starting with the friendly staff and comfortable room! The beds and pillows were great and it was so nice to have a comfortable couch to sit on and relax. We will definitely stay here again!
I booked a room at this motel 2 weeks prior to my arrival I called and confirmed the reservation with no problems on the day of arrival, when I arrived they stated they had given my room away. To say the least I was pissed I then received excuses after excuses the fact is it was a huge softball tournament and a car show that weekend and they decided that since I wasn't there by 6 to give my room away. I am ex military and this is a first for me the motel is nice but the service sux
LOVED this hotel, was beautiful and the girl who checked us in was AMAZING!! I wish I could remember her name!! The lobby was beautiful and the rooms were great, the breakfast was 1st rate too. I would HIGHLY recommend this Best Western to EVERYONE!! LOVED IT!!
Had to book the hotel on my stay from TX preparing for the home going service for my mom. I was very pleased with all aspects of the service at this hotel. The lady at the front desk, the cleaning ladies, the ladies preparing the breakfast's.
About two week before this stay, I stayed at a hotel very close to the airport, at about twice the cost. It was nowhere near what this place was! Very comfortable and quiet. When we checked in, the lady at the front desk was enthusiastically helpful and friendly. The only negative is, apparently it has become common, there was a Keurig coffee make in the room. I don't want just ONE small cup of coffee! BUT! There was plenty of coffee in the lobby, where there was an exceptional breakfast bar! Very good stay.
This hotel has a great location for Atlanta motor speedway. The rooms are nice and so is the breakfast. But the most important thing is the caring staff. They are all wonderful. We always stay here . They also have a nice indoor pool and exercise room.
Clean, quiet, comfortable, easy to find, close to many restaurants. Easy, fast check-in. Usual free breakfast; well attended, clean. We'd put in a hard drive at dusk in the pouring rain. Nice covered entryway to stay out of the rain. good stop.
After a long day on the road, Gina quickly helped with check in and made us feel very welcome with her smile and motel information. , Everything was very clean, the room and the bed were comfortable and everything worked. A nice breakfast area. We will definitely stay there again when in that area.
Nice hotel, nice staff, clean rooms but be aware of their early cancellation time 4 PM, not the normal 6 PM. We got caught and were denied the ability to cancel, did not call much past the 4 PM hour. Breakfast was good but a little slim on the selections.
Although a bit pricey it; it was understandable because we stayed during race weekend. The hotel was in a great location with easy access to food, entertainment and Interstate. definitely will stay again. I witnessed staff assisting an elderly lady with accommodations with what appeared to be above and beyond service.
The staff here was very attentive and the quality of the hotel is very comfortable. Between the three rooms we rented we had 7 kids using the indoor pool. THAT was a nice addition! I was a bit perplexed that the fire code said the room/pool could accommodate 20 or so (cant remember exact number) but they only had eight chairs out?? There were three other family that came down to the pool both times we were there. There were grownups standing against the wall and sitting on the floor like it was the filming of an 80's movie about an eighth grade dance. I don't know if I would choose not to stay at a hotel just because The coffee may not be readily available during off hours or that they do not offer with it nice amenities. I do know I would choose one hotel over another for this reason give another option. This hotel left me with that feeling you get when you press the coffee dispenser and a third of a cup of cold joe comes out - you say, "Jeesh... well, at least it's something". Then you turn to find no sugar or powdered creamer and the coffee snob in you yells (internally) WHAT!! I would definitely recommend this hotel, and would return myself. Next time I will just make the effort to drive to Starbucks or Chik-fil-A. I shouldn't have to.
We were supposed to be in room 307, top floor away from the noise from I-75. However there was a maintenance man working in it. we were offered a first floor room; but refused. We were told they were at 100% capacity. The room we were given was on the opposite side. Our room was so noisy we barely slept. This is our first but a HUGE disappointment.
While taking a car trip between NYState and Florida, we stopped for the night in McDonough, GA and stayed at this Best Western hotel. We were greeting by a friendly desk clerk with a smile and the whole process of registering was over in a matter of seconds. Our accomodations were clean, well-kept, and roomy. Although we only spent one night here, the hotel was quiet, on the outskirts of the City of Atlanta and easy access to Route 75. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends, family, and other travelers.
This was a very clean and friendly hotel. The person checking us in had helpful suggestions for local restaurants and overall great attitude. Right off the highway and easy to get to. Comfortable beds.
Found on Trip Advisor! What a great place to stay. Desk woman was very friendly & helpful. She was by herself and very busy. She still remained pleasant. Greeted each client with a smile. Hotel was very clean. Bedding was so comfy. Towels large & soft. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again. Lobby could use a facelift.
The staff was so friendly, hotel is clean, rooms are great and spacious, beds are comfy, laundry facility is nice and machines are in great shape, breakfast is average. We will definitely stay again. Great price and they make you feel at home!
Excellent Customer Service by Ms Wendy. Gotta love those Southern Belles. Found this Best Western to be a terrific value, sparkling clean, spacious and comfortable. McDonough is the midway point of a two day trip I take 4 times a year. Needless to say I've found a second travel home.
The rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. The pool and spa are wonderful, though the spa water could be a bit hotter. The staff are very friendly and helpful! The only thing that could really be improved upon is the breakfast.
This was the best hotel stay I have had in years. Everything was spotless, the beds were SO comfortable, the room was really spacious and downright beautiful. The hot water was always there in the shower (no spotty changes in temperature while I washed my hair). The staff was kind, helpful, and very efficient. The breakfast was great. Thanks to the staff for a job well done!!! I will be back!
The front desk staff was fantastic, very thorough and quick to check us in. We were happy to see our room was spacious, updated and very clean. We took a dip in the pool, which could use a cosmetic facelift but the water temp was good and the hot tub was relaxing. Breakfast was standard, biscuits and gravy, diy waffles but it did the trick. We would definitely stay here again next time we pass through. Also convenient to restaurants.
Wendy, I believe, was the desk clerk that checked us in. She provided the best experience we've ever had with a hotel check-in. She wanted to make sure we were happy with our room - and we were. The lobby and breakfast room were open and airy. The room was clean and comfortable and exactly what we had requested when making the reservation. There are restaurants within walking distance which is nice after being on the road for several hours. Breakfast was the standard waffle/sausae/eggs and the kitchen attendant was diligent in keeping the area clean and well supplied. We will definitely stay at this hotel when in the area again.
Excellent Extra Large Room, King bed, Sofa, Refrigerator, Microwave, Nice updated bathroom. Everything clean and fresh. I hadn't stayed in a Best Western for a number of years. I was very impressed and will stay again. Breakfast was good and fresh. Persons working the desk was very friendly.. Even received a thank you from the hotel after the stay to my email.
We stopped on our way through Georgia. The hotel was decent. We did have to change rooms because the smell of the room was very potent of chemicals but the women at the desk at night was super accommodating. We did get woken up at 330am by the fire alarm, that was a false alarm and It kept going off and on for an hour. The breakfast was OK your typical continental with waffle machine.
My wife and I went her for my birthday. I had passed the hotel several times, but never paid much attention. The hotel has several very good restaurants within walking distance. The front desk clerk was very nice and allow us to do a late check at noon. We had the jacuzzi room and it was so nice. We only wish there was more food towards the end of breakfast.
Traveling north on I-75 on Sunday, Dec. 27, we decided to stop south of Atlanta and get behind the rush hour traffic through Atlanta the next morning. We picked it out of a Next Exit book and first liked it because it was next to an Applebee's plus we've never had a bad experience with Best Western. It is in a bit of a hard-to-get-to spot if you don't know the area and it's getting dark and you didn't see the sign. :-) The place is very clean and well-kept and we didn't have a single complaint. However, their best asset that night was Gina, the desk clerk. She made us feel very welcome with her big smile and calm, efficient demeanor. She's a very nice young lady. Not sure if we'd ever be coming through that direction again, but if we were and needed a place to stay, we would try to stay here. The clerk the next morning was very nice, too, and recommended a good restaurant nearby for breakfast. The breakfast area was a bit crowded when we were getting ready to leave, so we opted to eat out.
This location was convenient and close to resturants and shopping plazas. The super walmart was a very nice place, great shopping experience. I gave this location a nice rationg for location and prices.
If you are a member of AARP, do not book registration online or you will note receive a discount. Call the hotel directly in the city you will be staying in. I was told when I booked online that I would receive the discount, just present my AARP card upon check-in. The clerk at the hotel said since I booked online, that they could not apply the discount.
Clean, quality rooms, good location. Good breakfast and friendly staff. What more could you want? We travel a very long distance to get to this hotel as it lets us get through Atlanta and not have to worry about fighting traffic the next day.
I was contemplating on which hotel to stay in and wanted something new and this hotel fit the bill as my last night in Atlanta before the final move to Miami and glad I picked this hotel. Rate was definitely well worth as it was not right off the interstate plus it was very quiet. Ample parking and the welcome area was nice with a easy fast check in by a courteous night person with a smile and welcoming attitude. She gave me a room on the first floor and when i walked in, I was welcomed to a large spacious comfortable room that had a couch, king sized bed with comfortable pillows, large desk with lighting and comfortable chair. The television was huge and worked well with the bathroom offering perfectly good working toilet, hot water experience was exceptional, and well rested night before the drive back to MIami. The bathroom had pantene products and enough towels to keep any person happy. Exceptionally clean and service was great. They offered a business center, indoor pool, fitness center, and great breakfast! NO COMPLAINTS and would return here if Im ever in the area again!
We always try to stay here when coming or going to Florida. Our rooms are always big and fully laid out for our comfort. The entrance area is big, yet welcoming. Their staff is very friendly and welcoming. Their breakfast, included in the price, never disappoints.
Had a one night reward stay at this hotel and so glad we did. Fast and friendly check in and plenty of parking. Our room was spacious and very comfortable and clean also lovely hot shower. Nice indoor pool area with seating area outside and there was an Applebees across the parking lot nice meal and excellent value. Breakfast had a good selection. Would visit again when in the area.
This room was very nice. Clean, Spacious, and comfortable with all the amenties you need for business or a family stay. The room had a living area in addition to two queen beds and a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker plus a seperate area for closet and suitcases. There was a large TV and internet service. The lighting in the room could have been better and the elevator was slow. Its an older hotel but updated nicely and fresh clean decor.
The TV kept loosing signal off and on. Alarm system went off one night only for about an hour or two off and on. When it rains alot the parking lot is like a river. Overall the rooms were good and I would stay again.
Except for the fire alarm going off at about 11PM, this stay was a very pleasant experience. The room was very clean and spacious. We hold a rewards card and had enough points for our stay to be at no cost to us.
A wonderful experience, at short notice, My mom, dad, wife and I heading on a road trip to the mountains. A Google search of Best Westerns found this hotel. The hotel, ground, rooms were all nice. BUT the staff was the BEST. Sooo many thing that they did made the stay pleasant, comfortable and wonderful. Thanks you.
I received price on line of 89.98 but was billed for 98.10 when checking out.The clerk was unable to explain the reason why. I was unable to convince her that the price was agreed to by the staff person at that time when I had phoned for the reservation.
This is our favorite go to place for visiting family in the area. It is a very nice hotel and very conveniently located at exit # 216 off I-75 just south of Atlanta. We love all the restaurants, services, Walmart and shopping at this exit. I wanted to write another review to say it is still very nice and the breakfast has been upgraded. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Another upgrade we found was the food and menu at the Applebee's restaurant located just across the hotel parking lot. Tip - Best Western gives discounts to government and military personnel and veterans, unlike other hotel chains who are so nice. You must have your ID card. Thank you Best Western! Tip - The noisy bathroom fan and light are on the same switch which is a little annoying, so I suggest to always travel with a plug in night light. And, download the flashlight app on to your cell phone and/or travel with a little flash light. We enjoyed our stay and it almost feels like home. Note: Many people love this hotel also - so book ahead.
Todd Parker insured that I had a fabulous stay at the hotel. He went out of his way to be helpful. Half of the channels in my room didn't have volume, but he was able to resolve the issue. I forgot my shampoo and conditioner, he went out of his way to find me what I wanted because I refused to use shampoo & conditioner in one bottle. The room was really nice size and clean. The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a baby.
We were very happy with the cleanliness, the location and the great staff here. We were traveling to Florida and this was an overnight rest stop on the way for weary travelers....check in was easy, room was really clean, location was good....right next door (walking distance) to Applebee's...really convenient...would definitely stay here again!
This facility was excellent in every way. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Staff is helpful and the free breakfast is way beyond our expectation. We would definitely stay here again! The location was a little tricky to find though, being behind the main highway.
This hotel has an odd décor, with weird color schemes, but was generally ok. The staff was pleasant; the large room was clean. The lighting was quite dim, although I later discovered the desk light had a 3-way switch. The bed was soft—comfy at first, but my back didn't do well. Nice shower, and a bath mat was provided. (Thanks!) Breakfast was basic—adequate, but with limited choices of things like tea, oatmeal, juice. No sugar-free syrup or skim milk. Egg squares not particularly good. This hotel is basically fine but the price should be a little lower in my opinion, compared to others.
We were traveling by car from Ohio to Florida. Picked this area due to the hours and mileage we had traveled. The Best Western offered very reasonable rates. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was awesome. I wish I could have bought it from them! They served a very nice breakfast. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby.
Easy check in. Room smelled musty. We found a wet, used wash cloth folded on the towel rack. Trash was still in waste basket in bathroom and used soap in soap dish. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Basic fare with waffle station. Location was what brought us here. Easy access to I-75. Check out was quick and efficient.
This is an excellent hotel and the staff is professional and caring. The rooms are very nice and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to family friends and associates. The location is great because it is surrounded by restaurants and great shopping.
I had a short 1 night stay at this property for leisure purposes. I chose the location after reading positive reviews on TripAdvisor. Prior to my arrival, all staff that I spoke with were courteous and helpful. Upon arrival, I had smooth check in. Customer service can definitely make or break any company. I had an minor issue that staff worked diligently to resolve in efforts to try to ensure that my stay was pleasant. My contact with management was also a testament of the character of this property. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location appeared safe and in a quiet location with a lot of food and store choices. I will definitely return if in the area again.
