The hotel could use a refresh, noticeable stains on carpets, worn furniture, to be fair I arrived late and left early so didn't spend much time, the staff was friendly, breakfast was better than expected, they had really nummy bacon, good value
I am staying at a handicap accessible room for my needs and was sold.2 different rooms that the shower handle should fell off.The toilet seat had fell off a different room that they traded me to the toilet.Handle to flush the target was falling off. The manager there is a big intimidating person that never smiles and blamed a handicap. Accessible person for the problem is in the room because they should told them and acted as their housekeeping supervisor instead of just letting their housekeeping supervisors do their job or the manager or anybody to keep the customer from having to deal with Lakey sinks or have to deal with. Fossils not working are fossils falling off in their hands are any type situation that should have been taken care of by the management or housekeeping supervisor but instead, I was moved from room to room as many things are wrong and after staying there for a long time, they got a new manager and these managers. Are not friendly. They're not happy and Make it out to be your fault as the customer to spend your day. Moving from room to room fixing all their problems instead of they doing it for you like in a normal hotel. But this hotel has the management running the place and the owners don't care what they do or how mean and intimidating. They are the only people that are nice. There are the women. And when you complain, as I did they take a handicap except some of my person instead of being apologetic and helpful, they put him on AD and R.Which is called do not write to this person so we don't have to listen to them.Complain about not having any plates for breakfast to eat on
Recently renovated spacious rooms. King sized bed was very comfortable and gave two great nights' rest. Coffee available 24/7. Great breakfast with many good food choices. Terrific location as I was doing teaching at IU Indianapolis but didn't want to stay downtown. Free EV charging was a big plus too!
The room was clean as was the property. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Would have been nice to have yogurt cups and fresh fruit and muffins. Not enough varieties. My only complaint the card access. We had to go back to the desk daily to have our cards reprogrammed or replaced.
They didn't have fresh towels when I got there and then I had to go downstairs and get them myself. On the second day when I asked for fresh towels, they didn't have towels and I had to wait five hours to get a fresh ones. They had A fourth of a roll of toilet paper in the room, no back ups. When I called to ask them to bring some up, I had to go get it and they gave me one. There was plumbing issues with my toilet and they made me go downstairs and get a plunger And I had to plunge it myself. I could've done this all by staying at home by myself not by paying the money I did to stay there.
I visited as a last minute decision and I did not regret it. It was late, I was tired, and Rachel (front desk) brought smile to my face. She was pleasant, she called and made sure I had what I needed. And also checked me out this morning, with a smile, after working all night. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, ample parking, and close to food. It was the night I needed, after a long day.
Overall, the rooms were nice, but they were very damp and musty. They were so damp that our clothes absorbed the humidity and made them damp and musty as well, and even my friend's eye mask was soggy. Friends in two other rooms on separate floors complained about the same issue. For that fact alone, we likely will not stay here again. However, here are some positives: ample parking; excellent breakfast -- variety of hot and cold foods, well stocked; remodeled lobby and rooms; easy check-in.
The staff went above and beyond on our last stay, especially Rachel at the front desk, the GM and the owner. We stayed with our too-smart-for-her -own-good dog. She got the ada accessible doors open and got out of the room and then outside. The GM and hotel owner chased her and put her back in the room. Rachel at the front desk watched her closely until we got back. When we went out the next day, Rachel kept our dog with her behind the desk so she didn't get anxious and try to bolt again. They all went above and beyond for us!
The room was really clean, the bed was comfy, and the breakfast was great. We stayed at the NW Indy location to go to the Street Car Takeover at Lucas Oil Speedway. We stayed one night here, and got a very restful sleep. The breakfast choices in the morning were awesome.
very nice stay.enjoyed the stay..coffee bar was amazing breakfast was great..hotel staff was awesome
Stayed 6/14/24-6/16/24. Hallway smelled like weed. A person was sleeping in hotel parking lot on bench in front of main lobby. Bed was dirty. Outside entrance door was not locked to enter the hotel. Stabbing occurred across the street. Hotel staff was not friendly. Tried to contact Best Western corporate offices and they would call hotel with no reply. The Best Western Corporate customer service were not helpful. Will never stay at a Best Western again. Worst hotel experience.
*Sheets stained/cigarette burn *Not enough seats for breakfast *Pool light floating with wires exposed *Intensionally firmly lodged rock proving side door open *Broken lock to exterior door to the pool *Loud fan noise from the air-conditioning unit when it is nit blowing cold air *not sure why this hotel is considered a "plus" - cheap pillows. The list goes on.
Our room was clean, the bed very comfortable and we loved the walk in shower. The breakfast was great with a variety of hot selections and pastries
The area is not at all safe. The hotel smelled of marijuana. The doors were all propped open and anyone could enter. Stabbing in parking lot with 7 injured.
I've stayed here a couple of times, and this hotel gets every little thing right. It has a decent indoor pool and a solid breakfast, and everything was smooth in and out.
Very clean, well lit, easy parking and check in, signed up for the reward program over the phone, staff was welcoming and friendly and I got a free goodie bag of treats at check in. Breakfast was fantastic, well stocked and fresh. Will be stay here again.
This hotel was part of a room block for a baseball tournament. Most of our team stayed here and it was not a pleasant experience for any of us. Many of us could get past some of the cosmetic issues with the hotel and the rudeness of the staff, but the overall safety of this hotel is a huge problem. Our team played late games and we weren't allowed to use the lobby for a team dinner (even after offering to clean it ourselves when finished), but they allow a homeless man to either sleep on a bench outside of the hotel or in the pool area in the evening. Also, there is a local bar that is within walking distance that had a mass stabbing on our last evening there. There is no safety in place at this hotel. Side doors are kept unlocked, front staff members are not visible in the evenings. I could go on and on with a myriad of other issues, but at the end of the day safety for yourself and your family should be a priority and this hotel does not offer that at all.
Stabbing outside of hotel, no hot water, dryer did not work, rude staff. 9 people injured in stabbing outside hotel.
I have had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 3 years now and must say that every stay has been great.
Too much marijuana smell in the hallways and a man was passed out in front of hotel in morning and nobody from staff did anything to remove him. Bed sheets had stains on them. Won't be back.
The Best Western Plus was in a good location. It was very nice & clean. The staff was nice and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends.
Easy access to I465, not far from Speedway! Nice breakfast, plenty of parking, EV charging available. Clean rooms
This review is overdue so let me start with day one. Our first stay was November 2023, then March 2024 and now May 2024. The reason we came back is due to the other budget friendly hotels in the area not offering at minimum a refrigerator or microwave. This property provides this as a standard feature at no extra charge. For this May 2024 I was unaware that the Indy 500, NBA finals, youth travel basketball tournaments was the reason for the room rates being extra high. I decided to do one night and upon checking in Rodney at the front desk advised that there were cancellations and we could book the other nights. Rodney deserves all the accolades and a bonus. Each time we've come there Rodney is helpful, attentive, respectful and goes above and beyond to make it work. While staying in March we were there for a week and the hotel laundry was not working he offered options for us. Thank you Rodney for making our load lighter while in town. Breakfast- is better than other hotels because it's hot breakfast and not just continental sausage, bacon, oatmeal, waffle maker, yogurt machine to add fresh granola, craisins, bagels, toast, cereal, juice machine Coffee - the hotel lobby has a coffee machine that makes hot chocolate, hot tea, expresso, Location - located close to freeways, quiet area with free parking Rooms - rooms are well kept up. Every time check in I have lysol wipes lysol spray to clean and wipe surfaces and mattress sheets and pillows down each time I've never wiped existing dust. Laundry - this hotel offers free wash and dry you just need to bring your own detergent. There is a Dollar Tree in the same parking as the hotel. I would highly recommend before checking in to contact front desk to ensure both dryer and washing machine are working. Bathroom - clean and just be prepared for low toilet If you are a traveler and stayed at 5 star property then this property will meet your budget and save money on one meal a day. You will have to travel a few miles for food. Other than that i recommend this property. Thank you to the cleaning staff and food prep staff.
I stayed at this Best Western for the Solar Eclipse for 2 nights, April 7-8. The hotel and location was nice enough. However, I did find a bug in the bed. It was reddish brown in color, and although I did not find blood on the mattress or sheets, I was concerned. I brought the bug in a Ziploc to the front desk. The desk attendant told me that they did spray for bugs ahead of the weekend as they knew it would be a busy one. Because the hotel was booked, I was not offered other accommodations. The next day, the room was inspected, and I was told it was clear, but that the owner of this hotel was going to contact me and also credit my Best Western rewards account with points to cover a night's stay. That never happened. I contacted corporate, and was given a $40 gift card. I would not stay here again.
The staff and rooms are the best! Got me in when I was in a pinch for work. Second time staying while on this side of Indianapolis and will always stay her in the future. Rodney at the front desk is great and Bridgette the manager are the best ever!
Absolutely gorgeous decor through and through! Room was super nice and clean!!! When I took a shower water got all over the floor. I used the white bath mat to wipe it up. I fully expected it to be dirty because skipping mopping is a popular trick used by some housekeepers to get through their rooms faster. I'm not badmouthing anyone by any means but you see I'm a front desk manager at a hotel. I've been doing this work since 1995. Anyway the bath mat was pearly white and pristine!
I always travel with a black light and check the sheets and bedding. It was disappointing to have to switch rooms due to the sheets. The breakfast was gone before 9am so I just had coffee. Otherwise the hotel was sufficient for the length of my stay.
First, I celebrate BW's General Manager, Bridgette N for her speed of response that demonstrated careful “listening,” fairness, and a well-deserved apology “for all the confusion.” Yet, all her grace, fairness, and speed of responsiveness cannot atone for the consternation, abuse, and colossal run-around I suffered, none of which she caused, but all of which was sadistically created by one of her sub-managers, named Rodney. I have never before, in my six decades of life, been subjected to the kind of customer abuse by a manager in such a simple matter, in which the company was in the wrong, and over which a sensible manager would have clarity of understanding, and power to rectify. I paid for my stay at this hotel via Expedia. Upon departure, I received no receipt from the hotel which is usual for those kinds of reservations. To my surprise, my credit card statement a few days later bore a charge for the stay both from Expedia and BW. I called BW immediately, and learned from (mis)manager Rodney that he saw no signs that my stay was paid for by Expedia. This sent me on a wild goose chase with multiple email exchanges with Expedia who consistently affirmed they paid BW, and who later proved to Capital One that they paid BW (in a charge dispute Capital One chose to levy against Expedia instead of BW, against my better judgement – but what the heck do I, a non-banker, know). Over multiple phone calls in which I had the abject misfortune to find Rodney on the other end of the line, I suffered abuse – not that he called me names, but these: ** He was a very poor listener; he constantly talked over me and cut me off. ** He accused me multiple times of not listening to him, when he was the one incredibly obtuse, arrogant, and totally disinterested in my perspective and good sense. ** He was aggressively impolite in tone and bewilderingly condescending in attitude. ** He was unfriendly. ** He lied (or was impressively incompetent, or lacking in basic intelligence, or simply being malicious); for on July 14, he claimed he saw my payment to the hotel but none from Expedia; yet, on September 9, I called again, this time, asking for my receipt for staying at the hotel. After placing me on a brief hold, he replied that he could not do that, since I paid for my stay via Expedia and they already supplied me with my receipt. (Gotcha, Rodney!) Yet, incredibly, this abusive man would not accept that the hotel owed me a refund, would not engage as a reasonable person should, repeated the nasty attitude of telling me I would not listen, and on and on. My only regret is that I did not think of asking for the REAL manager earlier. Each time I dealt with this man, my heart rate exceeded 120 from the mixture of fear and fury that his attitude invoked. Each time I concluded a phone call with him I literally felt dirty and totally demeaned. Rodney needs to be removed, retrained, and reassigned. He has no business in customer service. He has decidedly, and decisively assured BW that they shall NEVER see me or any of my scores of friends and contacts at a BW location anywhere ever again. While his general manager is an asset to the company, he is their quintessential liability. Did I say “remove, retrain, and reassign”? No, too generous. He ought to be relieved – of his job – for the health of BW, if they're interested.
This Room Was Hands Down The Best. The sleep quality was amazing. I loved the way the bed felt. The bathroom was extremely clean beyond satisfaction. The linen was clean, and the gentleman at the front desk was so polite. I definitely would stay again.
OMG! WOW!!! What a nice hotel! Very clean. I can still the freshness throughout every hallway I have never stayed at such a nice clean smelling hotel and all of my. The breakfast was super amazing, hot and fresh everyday. Hotel staff what's on top of everything I can definitely tell management treat through employees great they seem like a family. Please stay here and make sure you see Shauntee ♥️
Everytime I stay here, I'm treated well and everything is always clean. No matter where your room is there is an entry/exit door near for easy going and coming and I absolutely love that. They have a pool as well.
Room was clean. Facilities were clean and modern. They offer breakfast which was hot and adequate for me. My pet peeve; I reported my room 413 needed the drain in the tub cleaned out because water would back up while taking a shower. Please check all drains in your rooms. I really dislike when drains will not drain like they are suppose to. They have very inexpensive drain cleanout devices at Lowe's and Home Depot that will get the job done. Other than that, stay was excellent.
I selected this hotel because it would be on our route home without having to go downtown, the rate fit it's location. We had a clean room, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you don't need to go to downtown Indianapolis, this hotel is an excellent choice,
The beds are so high that the first time I tried to get in, I slid back out. I had to have my friend push me in. Completely unsatisfactory! But everything else was good. We played cards and made puzzles in the lobby. The staff was very accommodating.
On the road working third shift jobs, and rolled in without a reservation after working all night to see if I could get an early check-in. Shauntee who was working the front desk helped me get setup for rewards, and free early check-in she was extremely helpful and kind would recommend this hotel and will be back for sure.
This is one of the nicer Best Western hotels we have stayed in. It looks like it has been fully renovated. Our room was very clean and quiet, even though there was a young family next-door. We always like to stay on the top floor to avoid noise from the floor above. The staff was very responsive to our needs. And the breakfast was great. We would definitely return here.
I am not sure if it is just this hotel or the city as a whole but criminal activity was happenning outside all night. The loud music outside didn't stop until 4am. I saw 2 fights outside of my window. I saw someone try to break into a parked car. Finally, someone was firing a gun in the parking lot. I called the police. They said they would send a car over. No police car ever arrived.
Best of all the best western I've been to. Big shout out to KAVON at the front desk. He was very friendly and helpful. I'm a truck driver and visit this area often and now bc of the excellent service by KAVON I now have a favorite hotel in Indianapolis.
It was an awesome experience. From speaking to the manager to dealing with the staff everything was quality service. I definately will be back to Indianapolis and look forward to my next stay at Best Western.
I'll probably be laughed at (again) for this, but the third floored reeked of marijuana during my entire stay. I booked a non-smoking hotel, and it most definitely was NOT non-smoking. The strongest smells were on the elevator and near the ice machine and whatever employee-only closet was near the ice machine, but for someone who suffers from migraines and is extremely sensitive to smells and chemicals due to a medical condition, this made my stay miserable as the smoke permeated my room. When I asked about changing floors to avoid the smell, I was laughed at and was told it wasn't possible. I'm guessing that employees use that area for getting high on the regular instead of cleaning the hotel since the third floor is relatively out of the way. There were also various blood spots on my pillows and sheets, so after getting laughed at for the weed smell, I just went and bought my own sheets to bring back to the hotel and use. I no longer felt comfortable approaching the staff with any concern. I really shouldn't have had to do that after paying $600 for a four night stay. The carpets had stains and the water smelled like dirt, and the floors of the elevators were sticky and gross with spills. The insulation between rooms seemed okay, but there is no insulation at all for hallway noise, and between migraines from the weed and loud idiots in the hallway outside my room at all hours, it was a miserable stay with very little sleep or comfort I didn't at all get what this hotel advertises for the fee I paid.
We loved the coffee machine & free drink station. Pricing was decent & the hotel was nice. The showers were Luke warm at best and the pool was too cold to swim in for us but other than that no complaints.
Rooms are tight and smell musty. Sheets were damp. This was a team booking. Should have stayed next door at the Marriott for the same price. Wouldn't recommend. Some of the reception staff are rude and impatient. Must be quiet by 10pm. Really. 11pm ok but 10pm. Come on. People hanging out in the parking lot to socialize
I would not come back here again, few days later after my stay , they been charging me each day adding up to more than 1k just for one night that I stay and also did the same thing to my friend.
Great Hotel for Hoosiers in Indy park100 area. Perfect for out of towners right off the HWY 465. Waking distance to McDonald's Dollar Tree and BP gas station. Swimming pool area was very clean with a lot of drying towels on hand.
Rooms are clean and quiet. Plenty of hot water even with full hotel occupancy on Memorial Weekend(Indy 500)Breakfast was on par with other Best Westerns. Staff is friendly. Limited restaurants in immediate area. (McDonalds is close)
The Location was cleaned very spotless first person we met when we arrived at the hotel was Kavon he was nothing but respectful helped us in the highest manner. was always ready to help somebody foremost the room were very tidy clean, Lets not forget the high hospitlity this hotel has . i love staying here . the pool is also amazing very warm and clean !!
Worst hotel I've been placed in for a volleyball tournament in 8 years!!!! Zero hot water and tub was plugged. Was completely locked out of room and had to return to get belongings because they had to take the knob off door and we were running late for tournament. Only one person spoke solid English. Cops showed up for a domestic violence call. I will also be calling the organization that placed our teams here and hopefully that group will cross them off the list for good. Also with all of this still charges me full price!
We stayed 3 nights with a large group and showers were barely tolerable. Only one person in our group mentioned a hot shower. Breakfast was ok, but not great. Rooms were small, but clean. Could be a nice hotel if the water was fixed.
We celebrated our daughter's birthday at the Best Western Plus and rented out the meeting room. It was perfect! The hotel manager helped us secure the room and worked out all the details ahead of time and the staff on the day of arrival was fantastic! We had the room for the entire day so we could decorate and then had the party in the evening. The room itself was wonderful and anything we needed throughout the day was taken care of fast and in the most friendly manner. We will definitely be back for many celebrations to come - highly recommended!
I loved my stay it was more than cozy and it smelled great in my room I had no problems at all everyone was very helpful and also helped me when I locked myself out my room thank you so much I really appreciated it
We choose to be best western members because of how clean they are and the fact they offer breakfast. Breakfast is a big help with having a family. When the breakfast isn't good it is upsetting. This was actually the worst breakfast I have ever had at a location. We had to go get Chic fil a. Other than the breakfast not being good this location was great.
Everything about our stay was fantastic! There was plenty of parking and they even accommodated our 53' trailer. The hotel was very clean and the staff was amazing! The rooms were very cozy and clean. I will definitely be visiting again!!
Don't stay here. It was literally one of the worse experiences I have ever had. I'm a hotel GM myself and I will admit that I will nitpick, but this is not being picky. Every linen we had was stained and not just little stains. My comforter looked like someone spilled coffee on it. The bath towels were not brand standard and didn't even reach halfway around my body. We went to the front desk to get new linens and they gave us more stained ones and told us they "were in process of replacing the comforters" so they didn't have any extras. That is a load of crap and I had to sleep with a nasty comforter. We almost left and stayed somewhere else. The halls smell like weed. The front desk agent was in the lobby watching TV or on his phone. In the morning, no one was around, not even the breakfast attendant. Breakfast smelled delicious, but we were scared to eat anything after all the room issues. It was disgusting.
Do not stay here unless you enjoy the smell of marijuana when walking to and from the elevators. It was supposed to be a smokefree property. I guess that only applies to tobacco products. Didn't feel overly safe and would not stay here again,
this hotel should be shut down. dirty, disgusting. we only stayed here because of the Best Western name. Smoke odor, thin towels. Parking lot was over ran with homeless people in a threatening manner. My daughter had bed bug bites all over the next morning. VERY poor management. Our credit card information was stolen at this hotel. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!
The elevator was broken and we were told it is an ongoing issue. A lot. We should have read the reviews. It was incredibly hard to get fresh towels, the sausage at breakfast was always burnt and THEY OVERCHARGED US. They charged us $30 a night MORE than the advertised rate and when we brought it to their attention, they did not fix it.
Poor management skills, workers can't even total out and give a receipt at checkout? Can't explain a miscellaneous charge, and when questioned they hang up. Manager lacks any hospitality skills, won't take calls, doesn't return calls. You have a choice in any business - you can keep and retain a customer or lose a customer based on interaction.
Check-In and Check-Out was a confusing nightmare due to lack of trained staff. We were not allowed to pay separately and calls to customer relations did not result in assistance. A week later the issue is still not resolved.
The staff was excellent, the guest service agent obviously cared about her job and her hotel. She went out of her way to make it pleasant and nice. Rooms were fine. Water pressure in shower was terrible, and the elevator was a bit sketchy, the overall hotel was good for the price, we would stay again.
Staff is very unfriendly. Don't allow you to sit in lobby. Multiple fire alarms. Sinks that don't drain, rodents, burned out electrical sockets. Elevator works half the time the other half they shake!
Receptionist really rude i was waiting for someone at the front desk for 30 mins and when she show up she was really rude with us we ask for extra towels we never got them and thats not all i got charge doble the same amount in my account try calling them back so they can refund me my money i was just told manager was not available
While everyone at this property provided great service. I want you to know Keisha is what every front desk employee should strive to be. She was always very pleasant friendly and helpful (even when things went wrong). Should I be in Indy again I will definitely try to stay here because of her.
When we checked in on a Friday, 1 person was handling the check in desk. She was rude and short with everyone. Two elevators at the property did not work and we were put on the 4th floor. From the time we checked in until we checked out the elevators were not fixed. The breakfast area is crowded with tables too close to the breakfast bar so if you sit at a table near it, plan to have a lot of people standing around you when you eat. Oh, and it's hot. Sweltering.
The room did not smell fresh, especially when AC was not in use. Elevator stopped working making my room next the the stairwell very noisy at all hours of the night and early morning. Can't abide lumpy pillows, these were especially uncomfortable.
1,300 miles of traveling cross country for a move. We got in at 11:30 PM. From 1:00 AM until 3:30 AM, three “owners” of the hotel parked right outside our room and blasted music, refusing to turn it off.
When my wife and I arrived, which was about midnight, we were informed that the elevator was broken and our room, the only King available, was on the 4th floor and we would have to take the service stairs. I'm 64 and have a knee that needs replaced, so I always make sure everywhere I stay has an elevator. There was no offer to help us carry our luggage up 4 flights of stairs. It took me 10 minutes to slowly make my way to the room. The AC in the room shut down the minute I turned the temp down to 68 and stayed that way for 30 minutes. The front desk clerk informed me that there were no other King rooms available, but my wife and I didn't want switch to a 2 Queen room at that late point. Luckily the AC eventually turned back on, although it never got very cool in the room. As we checked in, the clerk told me that the hot foods for breakfast wouldn't be available until after 6am, and I replied that because we were checking in so late we wouldn't be down for breakfast until after 9, and he said that the hot food would definitely be available at that time. So the next morning we came down at 9:20 for breakfast only to discover that breakfast ended at 9. I told the manager of my conversation with the clerk and he just nodded his head without offering a solution. Hungry and upset, as we walked past the kitchen on our way to once again trudge up 4 flights of stairs, I saw through the kitchen door large trays of sausage, eggs and pastries - the manager could have easily offered us to fill a plate since the food wasn't actually put away yet, but nope, that would have required some effort I guess. At this point we were so disgusted with the hotel that I decided that I didn't want to navigate the stairs again just to use the pool - at this point my knee was shot. So we packed up and checked out. The bill was about $180, but the manager never offered any sort of discount or compensation for a) no elevator, b) no breakfast, c) broken AC. For what we paid and what we actually got, we should have saved ourselves a bunch of money and stayed at a $70 Motel 6.
Was assigned a room that wasn't cleaned and dirty! Then proceeded to get another room as someone else was complaining they found dirty underwear in theirs. Ac didn't work good, tried to lower the temp and nothing changed.
We stayed here for the duration of our visit to the Indy 500 Race and were very satisfied. It was very clean and very quiet. Everything in the Hotel was in excellent working order. I would definitely recommend this hotel and location to anyone needing to stay in the area.
I originally booked with another hotel in the area and the room wasn't clean and I saw a big bug on the wall so I wasn't comfortable staying there. I immediately checked out of there and headed to the Best Western which I had seen in my way to the other hotel. So glad I did, the check in process was smooth, super friendly staff, cat friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfy! I didn't stay to eat breakfast.
If you are handicapped and use a wheelchair, be prepared for the elevator to NOT be working. in fact, if you use a wheelchair, stay somewhere else. When we arrived close to midnight, we were assigned a room on the fourth floor. When I asked for the location of the elevator, because my wife uses a wheelchair, we were told it was not working. We had to stay in a non-handicapped room (on the first floor). it was very difficult for my wife to get around in her wheelchair. Using the toilet was difficult and it was impossible for her to shower. Handicapped guests BEWARE!
Do Not Stay Here. Front Desk Manager is rude, hides in office is bothered to do any work. Elevator inoperable. Did not inform guests before arriving that all would have to use stair well to get to floors and carry luggage. Side door to front lobby was unlocked and open all weekend. No security. Cigarette smoke was all over floor even though hotel is non smoking. Not enough space to serve breakfast for a full hotel. Missing amenities in room. Asked front desk manager for assistance and she was bothered to even get up and walk to housekeeping.
We had a King Suite. Room was large. Bed was comfortable. The room was clean but smelled like bleach. The hallway on the other hand had a different distinct kind of unpleasant smell. We were with friends and wanted to play cards. There wasn't anywhere to play in the room so we asked if we could play where they serve breakfast. The gal at the desk turned on the light and we sat there with our beverages and played cards. The elevators were working but they are very small. The location was good. You could walk to the theater and places to eat.
We are Seniors one just had surgery on hip Elevator didn't work Room they put us in on second floor was already occupied Just Canceled was totally dissatisfied Do not believe what you read in the reviews
My dad was in the hospital and we were 2 1/2 hours from home, Bridget was Fantastic! We found this room online for $100, she found a way for us to get it for$89! She was super at her job and made us feel like we were going to be staying with family! They have super clean rooms, awesome pool and we could also wash our clothes for FREE in the guest laundry facility! She made a horrible time feel a lot better! Thanks again Bridget and Best Western Plus, we'll definitely be back and recommend you to our friends and family!!
We booked two rooms here. This location had a broken elevator, we had to carry bags to the 4th floor for our second room. No apology, no offer of help. Thin walls made us very aware of every sound in the hallway and the nearby rooms, sounds from the parking lot came into our first floor room as well.
The staff was nice and friendly , the rooms were nice and clean and smell cleaned, the breakfast was good, and the bed was really comfortable and spacious, it was nice and quiet and peaceful, my stay was really good.
we stayed 5 days and 4 nights. on the second day, we left to go out at 10a and put the “please clean up room” on our door. we came back at 7p and it still wasn't cleaned. we did the same thing the next couple days and it was never cleaned, had to use the clean pools from the pool. maybe we had to wake up earlier and put the sign up around 8a for them to get to us
Our stay was only for the weekend and we had a long drive there so calling/running to the front desk every time something was wrong was too much so a lot of things we just tolerated. The major issue we had was our toilet had overflowed and we were eventually moved to another room but felt like the response to the issue was slow because we had to call again after some time from when we first mentioned it. Both rooms didn't have good lighting and bulbs weren't working, had a sheet on one of the beds that was lightly stained, we had ants, was given insect spray for that, and water pressure was very low in showers. The stay was tolerable overall it was quiet and the upkeep of the premises seemed decent as well.
Hotel was nice & clean although room was small. The beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was spotless, tv was great. Staff was courteous and welcoming. My only complaint would be the breakfast, it left a lot to be desired. The coffee was terrible, tasted and looked like instant coffee. Definitely worth the price.
The hotel was super clean, I saw staff actively cleaning the lobby multiple times. Same goes for the room, everything was tidy and fresh. Definitely worth the price and would stay again. I believe her name was Kaylee — she was helpful and patient while I dealt with an error from SnapTravel. The other front desk staff were great too! The only bummer was that the TV didn't give me the option to operate my Roku stuff for Netflix. But no biggie and the least of my worries!
After reading the reviews, I was a bit hesitant to book this hotel but they had a great extended stay rate which beat out all others in the area. Although there were a few issues throughout, I did have a good experience staying here. The bad: Linens need a serious upgrade. All linens in my room were mismatch, had stains, with see through holes. If you are staying for an extended period of time, be aware there is only one washer and dryer so it was sometimes difficult to find a time to do laundry in between other guests. Breakfast has a very limited selection. I was told it was COVID related (and to be fair most hotels has limited breakfast service right now) but seems as if they were sticking to all cold and prepackaged items. Really would've liked to seen some hot items available. The good. The staff here is great. You can tell they are short staffed, who isn't these days, but the staff worked hard and were super friendly. Always went out of there way to make your stay better. For being next to a highway, the fourth floor was nice and quiet and the room had a great HVAC in it. Rooms were tastefully decorated and looked as if they were renovated in the past couple of years. Overall, I would stay here again.
Hotel was OK, room was set up fine although could use some updating. The good, the room has plenty of USB plugs on the nightstands and the desk for device charging. The room I was in had a microwave and a small refrigerator. The free breakfast was decent, the usual waffle maker, bagels, cereal, juice and coffee but still good. The bad, the bed sheets were stained and torn. It took me 40+ minutes to check in because the front desk attendant couldn't get the printer to work (not her fault). So by the time I got into my room I was short on time because I had somewhere to be so I didn't even bother trying to get that fixed. The floor in the elevator and the floor just outside the elevator on my floor was dirty and sticky with stuff from drinks it looked like someone spilled. The floor was like this from check in on Friday and was still like that at check out on Sunday. The Neighborhood where the hotel is located is questionable with a half vacant mini strip store area next to it. The hotel is just off the interstate so easy to get to but there is some traffic noise. Pool was “closed for renovations” during my stay but this wasn't disclosed upon making the reservation. Overall OK but housekeeping needs attention. Oh, and don't check in before 3pm or they will charge you a $20 fee which is pretty ridiculous. I wanted to check in at 2 and there were 6 cars in the front lot yet they informed me there would be a $20 charge. It's not like they had no rooms available to give me it just seems like a way to gouge you for money.
I always choose best western when I travel. Always clean and great staff. Breakfast could use more options but I understand COVID has limited it. Hotel staff are always friendly. And the price is affordable.
I was in town for the B1G Championship game from Michigan and not only was the hotel fantastic and at a perfect price point, but Kaylee at the front desk could not have been any nicer or more helpful. I will always stay here when i am in Indianapolis. Thanks so much for making my amazing weekend that much more amazing
Extremely understaffed. One person checking in people and manning breakfast. Spills everywhere. Water for OJ. Everything out. Girl extremely overworked. Rooms have no fans in the bathrooms…found that weird. Overall the star rating on this site extremely inflated. Disappointing booking.
We needed a place to stay en route and this was very convenient. The neighborhood was well lit and seemed safe and the hotel was pleasant and comfortable. A good experience overall. Would definitely stay again.
The toilet was broken. They were made aware of it, and offered to fix it. Even offered to move us to another room if it could not be fixed. They never fixed the issue, never moved us to anther room, and we had to use the broken toilet for our stay.
I arrived here a little early, I had my booking through Hotels.com but there was a issue on Hotels.com part. They had my name and payment information incorrectly. I had to call them to see what the issue is. They contacted Shaunteè who works at the front desk and she spent 2 hours on the phone with them to work the issue out for me. After 2 hours of staying on hold and interrupted phone calls, she finally was able to straighten out the situation for me, even though the issue was not on her end.
This is the worst hotel I ever stayed in in my life. It was filthy. The tub didn't drain. The linen was atrocious, dirty with grim, and so thin it was ridiculous. None of them were bath towels...go figure. My bed linen smelled like B.O. I'm not kidding either. We had just drove 12 hours and we are elderly so were to tired to leave and get another hotel what a shame. Never again! Got pictures of the great breakfast wish you could see.
This place is terrible. Linen is filthy, wore out, not fit for washing you pets even. Tub doesn't drain right. Hotel old and dated to the point where its not sanitary. There is nNO MANAGER ON DUTY. NO ONE FROM THE CORPORATE OFFICE TO CALL. The last best western was worse though so never again. They use the excuse Covid....And I haven't even got tobreakfast yet. Oh plenty of people standing outside drinking alcohol too...scary!
We were staying here for GENCON. The hotel isn't in the greatest condition. The basement parking area appears to be falling apart. The light in the elevator did not work. So while riding up to my room it was pitch black. When we got to the room there were stains in the bathtub. The a/c unit is very loud and took about 12 hours to cool the room down to an appropriate temperature. Just didn't think it was the greatest though the location was convenient for the conference. We ended up moving hotels.
I had a weeklong reservation here for a business trip, the reservation was already paid for by my company. When she asked me for a card for incidentals, she rejected my credit card claiming she can only accept “bank cards.” I asked if she is saying she can only take debit cards, and not credit cards, to which she simply repeated she can only take “bank cards.” So I give her my debit card, and she tells me that my bank, SoFi, isn't a bank, and she can't (more like won't) take my card. I take out my phone, and open my banking app, to show her that it is a bank, and that I have a checking and savings account, as well as a credit card with them, and she says, “thats not a bank, that's an app.” I mean they have a stadium in Los Angeles with their name on it, but I guess it's not a real bank in this lady's mind. Not to mention I've got thousands of dollars in the bank - I mean app, but she's also refusing to accept any of my credit cards, or my debit card, and now because I'm so genuinely confused, as I've stayed in multiple Best Western properties with these exact cards, but now she tells me she's cancelling my reservation and I can go find somewhere else. Good lord, this lady is nuts. I'm probably better off somewhere else, at a hotel that accepts credit cards, like every other hotel in the country.
Stopped for a night during the trip back from a 2 week road trip. In the brief time we were there everything worked very well from the check in process to asking for favors of the staff to the check out.
Switched rooms twice because they were dirty (unmade beds, trash, old food in fridge). Non-working fridge. Cold shower. Large Carpet stains. Nothing but cereal for breakfast. Staff seemed unbothered about lack of cleanliness.
We were not impressed at all. First of all we were required to sign a “respect policy“ agreeing to the hotel quiet time and the fact that hotel staff would monitor the hallways. Any violation would be charged $250; no parties in guest rooms or public areas; excessive noise complaints would constitute eviction, no running in hallways etc. We had no hot water when we arrived though they did fix it. The telephone was unplugged and when I went to plug it up I found toys and trash behind the nightstand. The towel rack was nonexistent with the empty brackets on the wall. The towels were frayed and the wash cloths were old and dingy. Also, when we came back from dinner I had to open the inside sliding doors by hand. We would definitely not recommend this location.
Hotel is very convenient to the IMS race track for anyone looking to stay near it. Was only like 15 mins away, easy commute to and from the track to the hotel. Would stay hear again if attending another race.
No house keeping, garbage everywhere, police presence foe rude guests and water from leaking ice machine all weekend! No internet and poor tv reception. Garbage in halls for more than 48 hours. No breakfast and garbage on pools. We have pictures to prove this.
Shabby & run down. Let drunk guests hang out noisily in lobby. Greatest offense: Neither microwave nor coffeemaker in room worked because cords too short to reach nearest electrical socket. And when I asked front desk for an extension cord, I was greeted with a blank stare. On the plus side, there was a washing machine on my floor that was complimentary. And luckily a dollar store next door where I could buy detergent. Felt safe enough there, and I guess it was relatively clean, but not my best Best Western experience.
There were a lot of guest there when we were there and we were at the end of the hall. People were running and screaming in the stairwell well after 11pm. We had a toddler with us, my husband was racing the next morning at 6am. It was very distracting. No one got good sleep.
Exterior of the hotel is very nice and updated. Rooms themselves do not reflect the outside appearance. Decor has been updated, but the bones of the room are still dated and old. HVAC was loud and made the room smell wet. No ventilation in the bathroom. When we checked in we had no clean towels in our room, and we had trouble getting any throughout our stay
Where do I start, so many issues. Requires attention in the lobby, hallways, grounds. There were several exterior doors that opened without key cards. It seems like people that weren't hotel guests using the pool. The outdoor lounging area was overgrown with weeds and dead plants. I found a pair of earrings on my bedside table so obviously housekeeping did not clean there or they would have found them. The toilet ran and leaked at the base. We had to remake the bed because it was not made properly. The AC unit was very loud. A very disappointing 2 night stay.
We picked this hotel for the pool. When we checked our room had a nasty bathroom with no towels . Pool was gross and unable to swim in. We paid almost 400 for 2 nights and nothing like the advertising. Would never use this hotel again:(
Checked in, was given the wrong person's confirmation & rewards number. Only one elevator worked. Room was fine, good size tv, shower had rust stains, breakfast was Grab & Go which is understandable due to Covid but the sacks were hidden and front desk didn't tell anyone they were hidden - just didn't offer them. Only when another guest went into a side room did we know they were available. No one at front desk for check-out + phone was ringing and ringing. Just left key in drop box with a note saying I was out. There was another one laying there, too. GET MORE PEOPLE + PAY YOUR PEOPLE !
Poorly run and maintained. Waited 24 hrs for a maintenance man to arrive on property but then he never came to the room to fix shower (no cold water). Instead, at 10 pm he's cleaning a room. I asked to speak to a manager about the shower and was told she'd be in on Tuesday, 3 days later and there was nothing the gal at the desk could do about getting the shower fixed. An employee brought her dog to the hotel and let it wonder the lobby and follow her around the hotel. She mentioned she always brings her dog and when it's not sleeping in the office, it follows her around everywhere. A room for 4 people only had 2 towels. Iron didn't work. Pool towels were in short supply.
We were passing through on our way to Chicago. Stopped here close to 1:00 a.m. local time. Because we stopped late, the Best Western app was not working (it had already turned over to the next day) and I couldn't book online. The front desk gave me the AAA rate anyway. The hotel is brand new and very clean. It is upscale from what you would expect for a Best Western, even for a Best Western Plus. It had marble countertops in the bathroom. Gigantic TV. My wife said the sheets felt like she was sleeping on a cloud. The next morning, the owner gave my daughter a free bag of cheetos from the store just to be kind.
We took a quick road trip to Indianapolis and was booked at downtown location but did not like it and drove to NW location and glad we did. Very clean and easy check in restaurants very close, Starbucks, donut shop and Dollar Tree very nearby. The hotel was very clean and well maintained great location on interstate. Would stay again if in the area.
This spacious hotel had the BEST people to greet us! As Caylee, and two other young ladies who gave me their names but I'm old and have forgotten, were just the stars of this hotel, AND everything about the hotel was just fine, and clean and safe for the covid concerns, and I strongly recommend! We always look for BW accommodations on trips, as we have never been disappointed! AND it is very nice to be able to travel again!
very friendly and efficient staff. Had some hallway cleanliness issues but were rectified the following day. Pool was open but was cloudy. Breakfast to go actually had a hot breakfast sandwich and granola bar, apple, muffin, yogurt. Had to report a toilet flapper issue. Otherwise was a nice property with efficient staff. Easy check in- check out.
Overall terrible experience. I stopped here for the night on my way home from a month long road trip. Checked in around 8:30, took them 30 mins to check me in. They had to me charge me twice because their computer crashed. Elevators are out. Didn't even get to use the pool. There was breakfast, not even a bagged one. Didn't my member perk bag either when checking in. Housekeeping woke me up at 8 am when they tried to get into my room to clean it. I hadn't checked out yet. There's a huge sign on the main door that guests must wear a face mask yet not one staff member had one on. I would never stay here again. There's better places for the $75/night I was charged.
Beautiful hotel. No towels or soap/shampoo in either room. Pool not well maintained and unavailable. Breakfast in a bag with warm yogurt. Fire alarm system woke us up due to the system needing an update. (according to the fireman)
Hotel staff is very friendly and helps in every way possible. Water temperature in rooms is horrible and the pool is hit or miss if it is actually warm. Ice machines only worked on certain floors and only one functioning elevator. I think they had a lot of maintenance issues with no maintenance staff possibly due to covid. Chlorine levels were so high it caused rashes on multiple children.
Internet was fast and reliable. Ice machine worked. Hotel was quiet. Attendants were fast and friendly. Pool is ice cold like freezing. I also found a wrapper of a needle. Thank God a needle wasn't attached to it. It was very small and I can see how it was missed buy the fact that it was a needle wrapper bothered me.
The bathroom was dirty - bathtub had hair in it, dead bugs on floor and a used towel was left there. Dead bugs on heating unit in bedroom. Charged wrong rate, printer in guest services was out of order and desk clerk had no idea how to trouble shoot the error code.
Terrible check in process, rooms stink of smoke and odors, cobwebs and dirty bathroom. Loud hallways and unclean ice machine. Why have a prior check in emailed to you when you still have to check in at the front desk? I asked for a top floor in my reservation but ended up with a first floor room next to the maintenance room. So loud!
I get there is a pandemic but to have the place not clean is awful . Stayed 5 night and the same stains on the tile where there every day no body clean. Garage in hallways sat for 2 days before cleaning garage outside was overflowing . Bathrooms not working by pool smelled like sewer. Toilets overflowing on 1st floor into hallway All this for 135.00 a night
We had a great experience here. The lobby, pool and room were very clean at all times. The employees were very friendly and welcoming and apologetic when they couldn't serve the full breakfast due to Coronavirus concerns.
Outstanding customer service by all of the staff. From the manager on there was always a smile and a friendly hello. The breakfast was well maintained and was not your typical "Carb Buffet" ...they have some good hot items to choose from. I think the only thing I would like changed is earlier hours for the pool to open. Other then that all was great!
The hotel was very modern and welcoming. The breakfast was good, and the lobby had coffee, hot chocolate, and hot teas 24/7. The pool was very clean and warm, and the fitness room was clean and had little equipment but was high quality. Overall, this hotel is very affordable and worth your money!
My original online reservation did not show . The staff made it right on the spot. The room was clean tidy and clean . I needed a razor and the staff said yes and came from the other room with a razor and cream . The breakfast was very good . A lot of variety to choose from.
Our visit was for a medical appointment and a high school choir competition the next day. Knowing that there were several different high school state finals competition going on in the greater Indianapolis area, this location offered a fair rate for our stay. So many other chains were inflating their rates for the weekends events. Thank you Best Western for offering a fair rate.
The location was on the north west side of Indianapolis. The staff were very kind and extremely helpful when we needed a last minute room change. The breakfast was not as good as we imagined being that the hotel was very nice and modern. I settled for a bagel so I was satisfied
Stayed here on a business trip and will definitely stay again. Awesome staff, great rooms and nice breakfast. The workout room is really nice too. I was so impressed I joined the rewards program so that I can stay at Best Westerns as much as possible and earn points.
We booked this hotel on line...wanted to stay close to the freeway. We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel and the staff. Friendly, efficient check in by Kevin?(red hair) he happily gave us dining options and shopping places. There was a big sidewalk just off the property...a mile walk to the store..nice after a day in the car.
We had to go somewhere close for the VA, and even though it was about 20 minutes away in the early morning, it was worth it. The beds are comfortable, and it's very quiet (except for our upset baby, but I don't think anyone else could hear) and very welcoming! Everyone was so kind and fast, everything was very clean and looked very nice! I was even able to bring up some breakfast to my family, in our room, so we could eat while getting ready to go. I appreciated everything! Also, reserving a room went by very smoothly, and the gentleman was very honest!
We were having a Celebration for my wife's graduation and when I tell you Bridgette Neighbors and her staff are amazing that would be an understatement. If you are looking for a hotel that will make sure everything you need is at your fingertips then look no further this is it! From helping to asking to even surprising her with a hand written card plus so much more we can't wait to return and you should to! I will always stay here when every we stay anywhere in indy!
In town for work and stayed here. Normally i have not looked at the Best Western. It was pleasantly surprising to see how clean and modernized. I enjoyed my stay for the night. The next morning they had breakfast ready and i know that is not normally a big deal but most places i stay for business dont have breakfast ready when i have to leave. Great experience!!!!!
treat front desk, and room staff in friendly manner, and they will respond in kindly helpful manner with any needs you may have. even over new year time with first 2 nights hotel being very full, it was relatively quiet in hall and in rooms on both sides of us.
we went to indiana to see our son perform in the chorus, decided at the last minute to get a room instead of staying with family i am so glad we stayed here, hotel was very clean, breakfast was good, staff was very helpful and friendly, would definitely stay again, i love that they are pet friendly...
We love the cleanliness, style, and proximity to downtown. We stay here when we do the Indy Monumental Marathon and anytime we visit Indy and have never had a complaint. We've always been happy with the price too.
The hotel was okay. i would stay there again, mostly because of getting loyalty points for stays. The Lobby was clean but poorly laid out. Walking in, the front doors did not open automatically until you were standing directly in front of it and within an inch of it (not a big deal). Walking straight though the doors was the hallway on the left with coffee straight ahead and the "front desk" was to the right next to the dining area...not customer-friendly. The room was clean. It was Christmas Eve, so it was very slow(and quiet). We had a night free so we were hoping tom relax by the pool...it was closed. No big deal, probably because staff was cut back for the holidays. Breakfast was very good, nice selection.
Location of the hotel is good. Hotel was clean and staff very nice. Good place to stay for the night. My only complaint is terrible coffee for breakfast! The rest of breakfast was fine.Check in and check out was fast and easy
Highly recommend this hotel, which is conveniently located off of 465 and 71st. The Staff was very welcoming, hotel is pet friendly for a small fee, and it is well maintained and updated. The rooms were very clean, organized and well stocked with extra bathroom items beyond just your soap, shampoo and conditioner. Being a Platinum Elite rewards member from another hotel chain, I would have to give this hotel a higher rating for the included breakfast and the extra complimentary items in the room that any traveler appreciates. I also really like that they provide a “clean tv remote” in its own standup box! I highly recommend and will keep this on my list when in Indianapolis.
No hot water in the room. Barley able to take a shower, water was look warm at best. No breakfast, looked like a large crowd ravaged the breakfast before we were able to get down there. Before designated time.
We had a great experience at this Best Western and were happy for the price. We enjoyed being able to work out and have breakfast included in our stay. We were pleasantly surprised at the good rate that we got being in the wedding group.
We stopped here overnight before heading farther North. Had a very good stay. Good location off the interstate.. Clean and decent size room. Had a restful night.Check in and check out was fast. Evcerything was good.
Overall good experience. Check in was a breeze. Clean rooms and friendly staff. The breakfast experience wasn't very good. No butter for the waffle maker and the coffee looked like thick liquid that had been sitting out all night. Brought it to the front desk attention and she stated "I'm sorry I don't drink coffee." But overall this was the only issue. Good value for the money.
Paid about $116/night. Everything worked, the hotel looks like it was updated in the last couple of years. Descent hot breakfast. Make your own waffles, sausages, fruit, cereal, juices, coffee, yogurt, toast, breads, muffins, bagels... Comfortable beds. Good TV & internet. Mini fridge & microwave. Ice machine, pool, exercise room. Lots of parking. Wall-unit air conditioner/heater worked and wasn't too noisy.
I booked this less than a week due to a family death. I had my family stay here after I checked it out. The hotel was located in a rural area of Indiana but it was a peaceful and relaxing stay. The hotel was a clean and well kept place for visitor. The staff was polite and other than one staff member not hearing correctly that I was there for a funeral and him replying "good to hear". He was empathetic after I brought his inactive listening to his attention. I would stay here again because it was a good value for my money for the short time of booking during football season.
The room was one of the better ones I have stayed in. Breakfast Bar was all one can expect and more for the price of the stay. I had chance to interact with the Manager just a little and she could not be more attentive to my need. She asked if there was anything else she could do and thanked me for staying. As a former Hotel owner I know good customer service. This hotel has it.
We enjoyed our selves very much. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were decent. We picked this place because of the free breakfast. Breakfast was decent and plentiful. Everyone enjoyed the service and there were no complaints.
This particular location was great! Hotel looked clean. Friendly staff. Pleasant stay. Hot breakfast. I could say the same for other locations. I would recommend for Best Western to check all hotels bearing their name for consistency.
1st time staying at the location. Really enjoyed it. Approx 20 mins from airport and not hard to get to and from. Plus, the traffic is was pleasant. Being based in Atlanta< coming here was very refreshing. Easy drive to several restaurants. The rooms are pleasant and the staff are friendly.
Haven't stayed at a Best Western in 20+ years. It was clean, modern and a great value. Only a 15 minutes drive to the speedway. Pre-check in was nice and only took a few minutes. Beds were super comfy. Would stay here again.
This is a nice Hotel, The room was clean, smelled fresh, and was very spacious. I had a microwave and refrigerator which was great for leftovers after working all day. I travel 9 months out of the year and stay in a lot of Hotels, this is a nice place and a good value, already have my room booked for next year!
stay here as a way point in your trip home staff went out of their way to help with restaurant suggestions, computer issues , and room accommendations. once again B/W does not dissapoint would highly recommend
Stay was great but got dripped on entering the North entrance (all the AC units are located directly above this entrance), and the floor in front of the AC unit in the room was soaked. Would definitely stay here again, though
Everything was new and clean and the staff was very helpful. Lots of little helpful amenities. Large rectangular indoor pool with individual showers and restrooms. Lots of variety in the hot breakfast offerings. Hotel was next to a business park, so nothing to offer outdoors, but very convenient to freeway. Quiet neighborhood.
Pros: Friendly staff, decent sized room, clean. Cons: quite noisy inside (thin walls - I could hear other rooms, and vending machines), the pool was out of action for my whole stay, there are no proper restaurants at the hotel or within easy walking distance. The steak house mentioned on the hotel's webpage is a couple of miles away. I was given a disabled shower - low water pressure and not very comfortable. The wifi connection cut out multiple times.
Staff was courteous. Pretty standard room. Room was clean and well prepped for my stay. Bed was comfortable as well. Bathroom was well stocked with clean towels and toiletries. The building bumps up to another hotel, at the road it is hard to identify which is which. My GPS actually took me to the other hotel. Overall it was clean, had a nice staff and was pretty standard.
As a Diamond member with Best Western I have never received better customer service. Rachel was able to answer all my questions and she is extremely knowledgeable. I had a great stay! I could have been more pleased.
I was here for a personal trip, and will have to say it was of the nicest staff that I've encountered. When I checked in there was a young man by the name of Jeremy, and he was so kind and helpful. He gave me plenty of different food options and some things to do around town. I will come back and stay here just because of Jeremy.
Our whole baseball team stayed here and from check in to our whole stay to check out was great. Breakfast and coffee were fantastic and rooms along with hotel were clean and modern. Out door patio was amazing and we were able to grill out there with our whole team.
Hotel was very nice. Clean room, very appealing entrance and exterior, clean interior hallways, nice amenities, great staff - an overall great experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone!
This was our second stay at this hotel in the past 6 months. The first time we stayed here the front desk attendant was rude and unpleasant. We almost vowed not to come back. This time we booked it again, based on the overall experience we had the first time. Rachel at the front desk was awesome and over the top pleasant. Very accommodating and friendly. We didn't have any problems with our stay and will certainly be back again. If we encounter Rachel again, I am sure this will help solidify our reason the again return. Thanks Rachel.
There was a lot of noise and doors slamming on our floor; room was not very clean on arrival-obviously not vacuumed well with old nail clippings, chips, the chair had old chocolate chips in it that got on my clothes after sitting in the chair, the tub would not stop up to fill, the molding was coming off in the bathroom, the microwave was dirty, the bed was too high for me to get in to.
Great location for us to meet the Kids. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Having a pool worked out well for the grandchildren. The breakfast also was convenient for everyone. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
We stayed here for a basketball tournament, and the staff worked hard as there were several other sports teams there as well...Eric at the front desk went out of his way to help...and Troy provided excellent service during the Breakfast...he cheerfully refilled the waffle batter, and provided a yoghurt when they were all gone. The rooms were clean...
Dirty room, bad breakfast. Air didn't work. Pool closed. Not worth the money. The bathroom was dirty. Had dirty wash cloths on shower rod along with brown substance smeared on wall of shower. Once moved to second room the air didn't work correctly and room was hot.
Would easily book again. Well-kept, quiet rooms. Comfortable bed. Kind, pleasant, staff (Rachel). Drink & snack offerings 24/7. An amazing breakfast experience - from the turkey sausage patties to the vegetarian omelettes. Initially Google Maps led me to the neighboring Marriott hotel as I was driving South strangely. From that approach the Best Western hotel was not easily identifiable to me either.
Drove in from Ohio last night to a pleasant surprise. Very nice hotel with great people. Rachel checked me in and was very informative. Thank you for a pleasant stay.. Will definitely recommend and return. Beautiful and comfortable hotel...
We stayed at hotel for 5 days the breakfasts were delicious. The host Robert was great. He was friendly and kept everything full. He greeted everyone with a smile and made us all feel at home. He is a gem! Give that man a raise!!!! That you Robert for you hospitality.
We have stayed here the past four years and it has switched from a Holiday Inn Express to a Best Western Plus. The staff was better when it was a Holiday Inn Express I must say.The room had a musty odor like an old mop was used but the rest of room was nice. The breakfast are was clean and food was hot and very good. The location to track was awesome as always we enjoyed our stay but again this year was not what we expected from years past.
We stayed at this hotel while we were in town for a soccer tournament. The staff was very friendly and the rooms were nice and seemed to be newly updated. The pool was a good size and has a nice seating area where anyone who was not swimming could sit together and visit while kids and other family members were swimming. Overall it was a good experience, we would stay there again and would recommend this hotel to others.
I had made an error in my reservation and the staff were very helpful in getting it sorted out. I explained the problem and then explored all possible solutions which in the end allowed our group to enjoy their stay.
Hotel was nice and clean. Conveniently located to the express way, however I thought i was booking one closer to the airport. My mistake.my only complaint is not with the hotel but with the rewards card, i earn points and save them by staying at Best Westerns and their affiliates. Every time i go to use them they have raised the points for a room. My friend stays at another point reward card hotel and she earns about 2x faster and sometime more. This reward system needs fixed. I am considering once i use my points to start going elsewhere. Management of these Best Westerns need to address this issue with the corporate. These facts are easily checked and they should do so. Also if you want a review capitalization, grammar and spelling should not matter
The staff we're very friendly and helpful and the facility was well maintained and clean including the pool area! If my family and I ever stayed in Indianapolis again, we would definitely stay at this location again!
This property is very nice and has been updated in guest rooms and lobby. We stayed here to attend a play at Beef and Boards. So it was perfect location. Friendly staff and very helpful! You wont be disappointed if you stay at this BW Plus!
Stayed here when I was driving through Indy, it was perfect. For the price, it had lovely clean rooms, friendly staff, a really solid hotel gym and to finish with, a good breakfast the following morning. No complaints. Doesn't look amazing outside, but for the price it's perfect. Would stay again.
We stayed here while our Daughter had surgery at Riley Children's hospital. (20 min drive to hospital) it was very affordable and clean. Appeared to be recently updated. Beds were excellent. Pool area was exceptional. The building is older which I was dissapointed in at check in but seems to be well taken care of and everything was really clean. No sign of bugs anywhere. We would stay here again. Thanks.
I have not wrote in awhile as my schedule is super busy. However, no matter what when I am traveling I always book with Best Western. This trip though has me second guessing my decision. With me having another issue less than a week ago at another property in Georgia. So I had busy here in Indianapolis and when I checked in the young lady was super friendly and great help had a smile and made small talk while checking me in. Due to the time zone difference my daughter who came with me got hungry at 11pm so we walked a crossed the street as everything was closed even though it says they are open till 12. We'll while waking out no one at the desk and I hear someone snoring sure enough the desk attendant was sleeping. We walk back still sleeping came to the room daughter needed a fork so she wakes down and he was still sleeping. So I am glad I had the positive experience with the first employee, however if I ever come back on business I would never stay here again. The hotel itself is beautiful the color decor is amazing and I am in love with it. Our room was neat and clean. When my plans changed and needed to bring my daughter called to let them know and they said it's never an issue. Everything works great in our room especially our heater as we are frozen coming from AZ. I do hope the management team looks into this
We stopped here as this was the halfway of a 12 hour drive. Everyone was very pleased with our stay. The rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was really good as well. We arrived late at night, but everyone there was nice and helpful. The morning staff were just as nice and helpful as the night staff.
Our stay @ The Holiday Inn Express NW Indianapolis was great! Thanks to Damon who helped us tremendously during our entire stay. Thank You for your great hospitality, not only Damon but your entire staff!
My wife and I decided to stay here during the weekend that we were celebrating our daughter's big promotion on her job. We usually stay in a Holiday Inn Express when we're traveling, and they are usually exceptional. This one however, was not on par with the other Holiday Inn's in which we have stayed. To begin with, the receptionist, clerk at the front desk was extremely rude when we tried to check in. I understand that there a baseball team staying here as well, and that the staff may have been stretched because of that, but we made reservations 2 days ahead and just wanted to go to our rooms to rest and relax that night. The room wasn't up to our usual standards either. 2-3 of the light fixtures didn't work, and there was mildew in the bathroom, and the bottom
Close to a lot of other business and not too far from downtown Indianapolis. We went for a softball tournament and the girls loved the huge pool and good food. The staff were helpful and accommodating.
