Clean, comfortable room. Breakfast had nice assortment of items & hot food was hot. Coffee available 24/7. Courteous personnel. The price of the rooms was really reasonable. Lobby area and breakfast area were decorated nicely & very clean.

Very good hotel loved my room so clean and close to so many stores and restaurants Will definitely stay here again the breakfast was so delicious and the staff is so friendly From checking in to checking out everything was wonderful

We stayed for 4 nights , the hotel was nice and clean , the front desk ladies were super friendly and helpful , the lady in the kitchen was fabulous,, can't thank all them enough for making our stay wonderful, will come back again hopefully in the future

First things first, shout out to Christina at the front desk and Lala at the breakfast station! Both ladies were super helpful, they always have a smile on their face, are super friendly and make you feel at home. The hotel is well located, rooms are super clean, the staff is friendly, what else could you ask for? There is complimentary breakfast included - a hot dish, oatmeal, fruit, milk, coffee, juice, bread and a waffle machine where you can fix your own waffle with the Best Western logo. The options serve its purpose very well. Room for improvement? We were woken up at 5:40 AM with the fire alarm buzzing. I am not sure what happened or what that was about. I left the room and went to the front desk (with many other guests) and were just told it was a false alarm. I didn't make much of it, but I am sure this could have been a big issue for other guests. It's not a nice feeling to wake up to a siren and wondering if you need to evacuate the facility or not. Another issue was the big sign at the Breakfast area one day. "Only 1 plate of eggs and bacon per person"...come on! Really? Again, I don't have a problem with that but it did seem a little tacky. (I actually had 2 servings, so I don't think that is something that they actually enforce. Everybody was so helpful and friendy, so why the sign then?) Other than that, the hotel is great, the quality of sleep you can get there is awesome, it's got plenty of dining places nearby...I am certainly staying there in my next visit to the area!

Hotel had lots of amenities like swimming pool, gym, free breakfast. Breakfast was fantastic, loved the biscuits with egg, cheese, sausage. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Over all great experience. Most definitely would stay here again.

The staff was exceptional!! They truly went above and beyond to accommodate my family and I. The hotel itself is old but like I said the staff was so kind. Christina & Lala treated us so well. The beds were uncomfortable.

Clean place, pleasant staff, good breakrast. Only negative was the stupid policy about wearing plastic gloves while serving eggs? Makes no sense, COVID is respiratory, not surface contagion, and to be consistent, would have to wear gloves for all surfaces. This is an example of illogical policies that do not practical good, are not scientific, and are annoying. Other than that, the hotel staff was friendly, and hotel clean and comfortable and conveniently located.

Everything was average, however, after I interacted with Lala, the made, she made my stay way better; especially the sauce she made... AMAZING! TV remotes are difficult to deal with. The beds were fine, no complaints there, however, the rug was a little dirty under the desk. Bigger towels would be nice. I had a good time staying with you, thank you very much.

The only thing that was lacking was the breakfast. Waffle mix was sour and almost empty. After staying at the Corpus Christi location and having their breakfast , it left me lacking. We ended up going out to Nancy's for breakfast.

Watch out for heavy duty front desk clerk. A hater of anyone who he thinks has a better life than his. Sneaky and disgruntled, out for revenge. When he puts you in room 101, he really wants to get you.

The front desk person was friendly and efficient. I was very pleased and surprised by the snacks in our room - it was a nice touch. The room was very comfortable and clean. A maintenance man was on the elevator at the same time as I and he represented the hotel well. He was very friendly and filled with pride. Don't change a thing.

Night clerk was not friendly at all. Refused to give me a corporate, AARP or Triple A discount. Room had dead bugs everywhere and a live bug crawled on to my friends leg. Sink didn't have any cold water and no pressure.

The people at this hotel are incredible. The location is great and easy to get to. The rooms are always impeccable. The cleanliness is well worth the stay. when I come into the hotel, almost all the staff call me by my name. I have never had a bad stay at this hotel in the past year

Enjoyed Lady who serves Breakfast. Kind, attentive & very helpful. She made my day with just the fact that she cared. Oh and Breakfast is real not just cereal. Room was clean but could use little TLC remodel to fix things that wear due to usage. Overall hotel stay was enjoyable and we would stay again.

Made our high school reunion at the last minute and were able to secure a room. It was conveniently located near all the unofficial events that we had planned on attending. It was also close to event in the next town over that we had not planned on attending. Had a fabulous weekend and many of our classmates were also staying here so it made it that much more fun. I'm so glad classmates convinced us to make the long drive for a visit and then twisted our arms to actually attend the main event. What a great little hotel and a warm little town. One minute walk to restaurants and bar.

This Best Western is always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is one of the best I've seen with delicious variety of hot foods as well as cold (cereal, yogurt, etc). It close to restaurants for other meals and to shops. The managers and staff are super friendly.

The hotel was clean inside and out. The breakfast was good the pool was clean—a good choice. I would book again. The location and price were good, and everything about this hotel was good. I will book again next trip.

This was our second time to stay and everything was great. Room was comfortable and quite. Jason at the front desk was extremely helpful with our needs. We will be heading back in a few weeks and will stay at the Best Western in Weslaco.

Nice place to stay, beds are comfy, ice box has separate freezer, always a plus, plenty of retail and food available close by. Friendly staff willing to help. Hot breakfast served daily. Room service if needed. Enjoyed my visit.

The room was spacious and clean. However, the window was facing the swimming pool. I did not want to open the curtain, so the room was dark. The TV in the living room area was not working. I informed Jason about the situations. He gave me a nice discount. Jason is always very professional, polite, and helpful. The breakfast manager, La La, is very friendly. The breakfast has a lot of variety and I enjoy it. I will definitely stay at this motel again for my next trip.

My Family and I got together, last minute. We had a great experience, especially at poolside, where the back view is breathtaking. We would definitely recommend this Best Western as it is also conveniently located in the heart of the Mid Valley.

Me encontré un pañal sucio dentro de la bandeja para hielos cuando la tome para ir a la maquina de hielos, lo mas asqueroso y desagradable. No volveré a ese hotel y no lo recomiendo I was going to the ice machine and when I took the tray I realized that there was a used diaper inside it, it was so unpleasant and disgusting, that my perception of the cleanliness of the room was the worst, please it was a used diaper. I would never go back to that hotel

Rm 118-broken cabinet door hinge making it unable to be closed, wobbly shower faucet, rusted out bathroom door frame, no tv channel guide anywhere in the room and none available at the desk, non functional ac outlet on one bedside lamp. The bed and pillows were great. The staff were all just first class with a special recognition to the breakfast attendant. For $150+ I expect much, much better. Regrettably this is the worst BW I've ever seen and I've visited more than a few. Come on, you're better than this.

Paid extra to stay at this location thinking it was worth it and then arrived to a hotel that from the outside it pretty and in a good location but as soon as I entered the room so disappointed, had to be moved to another room and because of a smell and the other room was not better, the rooms need major renovation with the paint and the fixtures all rusty, walls dirty with spills, and to top it all a man trying to enter my room and other rooms in the hotel where the front desk did not do anything about it.

We enjoyed our stay. However it took a long time to get hot water. Breakfast was terrific and the coffee was great. The desk personnel well very nice and helpful. When I made the reservation,. The person was very patient and helpful.

I love staying at this location its in a convenient location and the team members are awesome. Clean rooms, great breakfast popping gym! The parking lot and surrounding area can accommodate large trucks as well.

Easy access to the highway, restaurant and stores. The only thing was going in December was a bad thing for me to go because the stores were packed but other then that it was great. I will be back soon!!

We had a great two night stay. The room was very clean, cozy and comfortable. Assorted breakfast (coffee, juice, waffle and burritos). Its perfect for a weekend. Dont had trouble making check in. Excelent choice!

We had a great 4 night stay. The rooms were clean and the staff was more than helpful, courteous and professional. Which can come hard to find these days. We will definitely keep them in mind for future stays.

Stayed here with our two young children for two days. It was clean, friendly, great breakfast, quiet at night. No complaints. Parking was good. Everything looked new. Good covid safety precautions. Pool was clean.

Called to double check my reservation the day before arriving was told I had an Executive suite and a king room . Got there was given a king room and Handicapped room instead not what I paid for needed a tub to soak my back after flight from California

They cleaned the rooms every day. We have stayed at a lot of hotels that do not clean the rooms until you leave. Hot breakfast is served by an attendant. Our room was well apppointed. Thank you for your great service.

Overall, I had a great experience with the BW; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect. The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

Comparable price(within $20 a night) to Hampton inn across the street but you see the difference. Christina at breakfast is amazing. The front desk staff is alright. They were training someone each of the two times I stayed. Strong smell of propane outside. Weird smell as you walk in. Room was ok. There was an ant on my bed. Only one (that I saw).

Overall stay was very good. The water pressure was very low, especially in the shower. It also took a long time for the water to heat up. Other than that, everything else was good. I stay in Best Westerns often.

The only issue I have s we checked in at 4 am one morning and out at 2 the next day. When we checked in we were told that we would not be charged for 2 nights, that they would not due to the fact that we checked in at 4am. However, they did infect debit my card for 2 nights. I called corporate and was told to call the hotel direct and that they could fix the issue. I did and was told very straight up no that they would not help when the issue. I was cut very short on the conversation. Easy t do when it's not your money that was debited after being told they would only charge for the one night. We were there for about 10 hours. Very pricey for a few hours

Great location. Centrally located. Within walking distance to a movie theater, restaurants, and shops. Only wish the pool was bigger, but it was still nice and it was heated. Breakfast is included, but we didn't get a chance to try it.

The room wasn't clean, the pillows were full of hair, found roaches throughout the room and bed, there was a lot of dirt and debris in carpet, small ants in restroom and shower. First time I stayed front desk person was Jackie and she was more interested in her phone conversation than helping me check in. Second time I stayed was Carlos, he was very professional.

Both times that I've stayed at the Best Western Town Center Inn, the service and cordiality have been exceptional. The employees gave more than I requested. I was traveling alone, so they helped me with directions, suggestions and an outstanding breakfast. I'm a senior woman heading to the border and Christina set up LYFT for me on my phone. Jason Horton, Front Office Supervisor, arranged early arrival, a perfect room and answered my many questions.

The gentleman that works there (his name escapes me) always remembered every time I go there. That means everything. I won't stay anywhere else and I have stayed at just about every hotel around there.

I will say that the stay was overall good. The beds felt clean and the rooms cooled well. The front desk lady when we checked in was bland and could use better customer service skills of a smile and positive word choices. The best part of the stay and would be the main reason to go back is the lady who handled the complimentary breakfast. She was SO SWEET and patient with handling breakfast solo. I don't remember her name but she was there Saturday and Sunday morning of our stay. Her personality and how she interacted with everyone was such a joy. She should be training the other receptionists (the male morning front desk and evening overnight shift lady) their interaction skills when greeting guests. Hope this feedback helps!

Front desk wasn't aware of what day it was and argued me with no knowledge or information on my reservation. The elevator wasn't working. Had to take the stairs Front Desk told me to go through the side doors, which were not working and marked as exit only. The pad were the key goes in even had duck tape. Will not stay here again. Hampton Inn is right in front of this hotel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this hotel.

We love the Best Western in Weslaco. We take four trips a year to the valley and always stay at the Best Western. This property is well maintained and very clean inside and out. The management and employees made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast tacos and fruit were great!

We have stayed at Best Western in Weslaco several times. It makes me sad to say that I'm not sure we will come back. We got to hotel, and rooms weren't ready, which I can let slide because it was 2:30 and check in is at 3. We were told that the elevator was broken and that we were going to get one of our rooms on the 1st floor and one of the rooms would be on the 2nd. My husband and I took the room on the 2nd. It was a pain in the rear going up and down the stairs. There was no ice machine on the 2nd floor, so I walked to the 3rd floor, and that ice machine was broken, so I had to walk all the way back down to the first floor. It took forever for our room to cool down. I think it finally got comfortable around 2 am. Anyway, the bed was comfortable, and we had fun in Progresso, but the overall stay at the hotel was not so bueno.

Great place to stay the night. I really liked the breakfast taco in the morning and was surprised at how well organized and thought out the room was. I loved the nice Iron and closet. It was great for this trip.

Always such a pleasant experience, the staff is very customer service oriented. This is the best BW hotel my fiance and I have stayed. Everything we visit my parents in the valley from Houston this is where we chose to stay. Not even in the big city of Houston do we have this experience at other BW. I mean the cleanliness, the scent upon entering the hotel is invitingly pleasant, the decor, and all. I would like to commend all the staff at this BW they go above and beyond their call of duty specially Monica,George,Joseph,Jason, and housekeeping! Thank you,thank you thank you! Our stay here was very pleasant! The rooms were clean, front desk staff was very friendly, and their breakfast was very covid guideline friendly. Instead of serve your own breakfast, they had pre made breakfast tacos and the lady will just bag up everything for you. Coffee and tea were available all day and night. The location is also close to dining and shopping, which is a huge plus!

Comfortable, clean, and will definitely stay again. The staff is personable and the continental breakfast is awesome. Highly recommend. The pool is a great amenity that is a decent size and has plenty of seating to tan or just relax and get some sun.

Lovely check in subsequently marred by the hotel still serving breakfast in a bag. Housekeeping is understaffed so that your room might not see anyone to tidy it up until after 4 p.m. Assume that this BW is trying to save money at the expense of service.

Well cleaned hotel in good location. However, front desk folks spend more time chit chatting in eating area than being helpful to guests. Rooms were clean, Covid restrictions enforced, breakfast usual disappointing fare.

Overall the hotel was nicely maintained and had a friendly, responsive staff. They met all of our needs promptly, from management on down to housekeeping. We had no bad issues during our time at this hotel. It was clean, all temperature controls worked as they ought to, and we never had any trouble with parking, breakfast or room keys going bad. There was a complimentary newspaper every morning with breakfast.

I very rarely provide a review as it is very time consuming for me but I had such a great experience at this BW I felt that I must. I was extremely pleased upon my arrival when I was told that because of my Diamond status the hotel had given me an upgrade. I had never been given an upgrade before and they had given me a very nice suite. Upon my entering the room I was rather taken back as to how clean the room was. I had not stayed in a hotel during the pandemic so I am not sure if the cleanliness was due to the Covid-19 or not, but at any rate the room was pristine. The refrigerators in most motel rooms are mostly just adequate, but not the case in this room as it was so much more. It might not be a big deal to some but I would normally buy some beer to drink in my room during the evenings. Usually in the past even setting the temp on high would just keep my beer cool at best. The one in my suite kept my beer super cold and it was very refreshing to drink after being out in the heat all day. I mainly just want to say thanks Town Center Inn, keep up the great work. I have stayed here 5 or 6 times and have always had a good experience. This time the room was not as clean as usual. Actually old food in the chair one on the table. The front desk was friendly as usual. Hopefully a one off deal.

Overall it's a great hotel, clean, great location, decent price, and quiet. I've stayed here and at the one across the street either one is good and will stay in the future. Prices are 80+ a night so after taxes it's around 90-100 on the weekend for a king room.

The front desk people were extremely friendly. I will definitely stay at a Best Western in the future. The location was central to many places. Housekeeping was also very friendly. I wish I had made the reservations thru the place directly because the 1-800# I called messed up all my resevation dates. The front desk fixed it up quickly without any hesitations.

Room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable.. Bathroom was larger than normal. Staff was helpful and nice. Room was at a comfortable temperature upon arrival. Had a juice bar available for guests. Highly recommended and I would stay there again.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly. The fitness area was small but provided a great basic setup for exercise. The pool was clean and well-maintained. I was happy with my stay here.

Stayed few weeks on business room was clean and comfortable everything worked as it was supposed to. I liked desk and office chair in the room made my stay much more comfortable as I had to spend many hours in front of my laptop.

Received a room exactly where I asked to have one, very attentive and abliging staff. Due to having a late meeting that ran over after checkout time, the staff offered remove my luggage for me and held it safely until my return in the afternoon. I felt everyone was taking appropriate precautions in today's Covid environment.

When our community had hit by Hurricane Hannah and just two days to prepare- you may think it's a category one storm and maybe just heavy rain. This hurricane hit us far more than the winds expected and the amount of rain. The Best Western helped many families out like my niece's family who lost power right away. Their second to the youngest child has CP and in a wheelchair but staff accomodated her family right away. The next day we lost electricity we too inquired about a room. Again we were fortunate to get a place to stay at the Best Western. For the next several days all you saw were families with children and it's a great feeling when you see the hotel staff caring to taking care of others- kindness does matter. The Best Western in Weslaco and I'm sure other hotels they have throughout the Rio Grande Valley were there to help our communities- we all came together very strong with this hurricane- and their staff were excellent. You felt welcomed as of the moment you walked in- and I'm sure the stress and worries among the adults were quite evident to others- but could relaxed as soon as we walked into our rooms. The rooms were clean- clean towels and beds- frig and microwave and everything we needed was provided. Most of us that were there during our stay either did not have electricity or live in a flooded area- I can only say thank you so much to the Best Western. Due to the Covid situation breakfast was a grab bag that was great. I hope that anyone who is traveling into the valley, staying or visiting you don't give a second thought but stay at this hotel. Very grateful and thank you to an excellent hotel!!

Comfortable space, attentive and friendly staff. A very positive experience, at a reasonable cost,for a several day stay. Breakfast staff prepared fresh scrambled eggs, a nice fresh fruit offering, and cookies and a thoughtful infused non-alcoholic beverage at the end of the day.

Staff was friendly. Good breakfast and occasional snacks in afternoon Rooms were kept cleaned and stocked well. Great size room for the price. Great central location. Would like to see a different breakfast menu instead of same every day

Had a very nice stay in this hotel and appreciate how friendly and helpful the staff was in this location. The decor was very modern and inviting, the breakfast was lovely, and it was very quiet as well. We just wished we'd had more time to actually be IN the hotel. We had driven over 600 miles and overestimated the time it would take, so we were extremely appreciative that they allowed us to check in early! The only thing that really wasn't a big deal, the floor shook the beds when someone was walking around in the room. Just hope no one was below us.

We visit family in Mercedes about 4 times a year. I typically stay at a different hotel but came across a good price at this place and being it is highly rated, i took a chance. The hotel is older but maintened ok. The rooms are dated and I did have trouble with the drain in the tub. It was fixed but my family's first night shower experience was not too good. Overall service is well but I did not get the full clean feeling at this place. Breakfast was good but and hotel may be good for a last minute room to sleep but I will not be planning on returning.

Having stayed at several hotels on SPI, this is one of the best of the lot. Very clean and room was modern. Two minuses would be low water pressure in the shower and our room tended to be noisy. I would recommend this hotel over most of the others on the island.

We were impressed by the cleanliness of this hotel, and the breakfast was very good. BW-Weslaco is ideally located for birding trips to the valley. My only complaint is with Best Western in general; the Rewards ID number is ridiculously long, far too many digits to remember, and hotels can't find you except by this number.

Easy to find and close to area restaurants. Chose this location because we were making many trips to McAllen and a few trips to Brownsville. Elevator problem while we were there. Made staying on 3rd floor very inconvenient. Not sure if I will stay here again.

The newest upgrades to Best Western are excellent. This makes them equal to some of the more popular large Hotels, but for a much better value for the same if not better amenities. I'm glad I continue to stay with them, I think you will too!

The exterior hotel was nice. Lobby Clean. In the room, there were roaches. Not the big tree roaches, but the little ones. Hoping it was just the people that stayed in the room prior to us. We moved rooms since it was too late to get another hotel. No roaches in the new room.

Dirtiest most disgusting hotel I've ever stayed on. We killed at least 4 spiders and found a dead cockroach. When we told them, they didn't want to fix the problem. Dust all over the place like it hadn't been cleaned for months. Sticky floor. The rooms look like they're coming out in a scary movie.

I was there for our yearly district convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. I have stayed at this hotel before for these conventions. My mother, husband, and I really enjoyed our stay there. The room looked and smelled clean. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. I really enjoyed that the eggs were real and fresh. The coffee was amazing! I really enjoyed the evening drinks of lemonade and Horchata. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I have absolutely no complaints.

A friend recommended this Town Center location in Weslaco. I am usually a Hilton-properties person but the cost difference in a 4-day stay with BW vs the Hampton Inn a few miles away was just too good to pass up. I was skeptical though, because I stay at H.I and am a big fan of their overall amenities and quality. However, I am happy to report I was pleasantly surprised by this Best Western. The property is super cleam/modern/well-equipped,staff is friendly, breakfast is hot (and free!)...honestly, this place is an excellent value! Super cool bonus: the in-house cook/breakfast-lady provides a daily freshly made "agua fresca" like cucumber lemonade or homemade horchata. My only complaints are minor: a) the crappy hotel gym is full of non-working equipment and b) the elevator made a very unnerving sound when it hit the 3rd floor. Regardless, I will 100% stay here again! Great little hotel!

It was my first time to stay at this Best Western and I will stay again when in the area! The staff was very friendly & helpful. The hotel was clean, comfortable and they have a delicious hot breakfast each morning with afternoon cookies & fruit. Good place to stay for many reasons!

location is close to food and movies plus walmart / target right off the expressway clean rooms and friendly staff was nice weekend stay for family event definitely would choose this location again!!!

We had stayed here before and were fine. This time I made the reservations two weeks prior and when we arrived it was a handicap accessible room that smelled funny and the bed coverings were stained. Clean but had stains. I had not requested nor did we need handicap room. We requested another room and they said they had a suite for an additional amount , so I agreed. The suite was missing the second TV in the sitting room and there was one bath towel but two people checking in. One bath towel!! Next morning we went to eat breakfast, (usual stuff), but no jelly, peanut butter or honey for your toast, muffin or bagel. We finally saw an attendant and asked, she was apologetic and had forgotten to put it out. Many people had gone without for their meal I imagine. Many small problems but it added up to a big annoyance.

I always Enjoy my stats at BW and this time was no different. Your staff was friendly as always and the room and establishment were clean and organized. We were able to use the pool for the first time and it was clean and well kept. My kids love the breakfast because there are many options and the breakfast bar is always well stocked!

We have been to this hotel four times and Jason at the front desk has been so pleasant to work with. He has wonderful customer service which is one of the reasons we continue to come back to this hotel. It is very convenient for those wanting to go to Nuevo Progresso for dental work since it is just a 15 minute drive to the bridge. Nice breakfast and very clean rooms.

Stayed a couple of nights. Bed was comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Employees friendly and helpful. Hotel sits in good location with restaurants & shopping all around. We had a good stay.

Our room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The decor was nice and modern. The breakfast was well stocked and lobby clean. The location is also very central with stores and restaurants close by. We used the exercise room and it was very nice with a good variety of exercise equipment.

Newer hotel.. room was clean. We did not have the opportunity to use the pool or the exercise room but they did look clean, breakfast was self serve at 6am and was prompt although not a lot of selection

Jason Horton & his staff keep a clean,safe and very nice place to stay in Weslaco. My husband failed to pick up his wallet and left it laying out by television all day Saturday. The motel is very clean and newly renovated. They serve a wonderful breakfast and the staff is one of the friendliest I have ever experienced. The room had the sink and mirror separate from the shower which made for easy getting ready with 2 people. Very clean. The best staff around. Free wi fi. Lots of outlets for easy access to charging your electronic devices.

We chose this hotel because the hotels in this location are limited. The hotel is relatively clean (although the room was very humid) and appears to have been recently renovated. We had one small issue during our stay and the service we received was unacceptable. We called the front desk and had to walk down stairs because no one was answering the phone (we had a small child with us that was already asleep; we tried to call for over an hour). Upon getting downstairs we had to go out of our way to find someone who worked at the hotel and they did not even attempt to provide a solution to our issue. Additionally, this hotel goes out of its way to advertise their breakfast. They are better off not offering it; do yourself a favor and find a local restaurant for breakfast!

I arrived late due to traffic but I was greeted with a smile the attendant was very accommodating asked if I had any questions and explained hotel policy and breakfast hours and due to my late arrival if I had any issues or concerns someone would be at the front desk and to not hesitate to call. I was very pleased with my stay and to think that if the front desk attendant at the first hotel I had stopped to would have been half as helpful as this young lady I would have never stayed here because it is off the road and not easily seen especially at nighttime but thanks to gps it was worth locating.

I stay at many BW due to my job for past 2 months & this one has been the best. Welcoming lobby & dinning area, clean rooms, working amenities (clock, heater, microwave, fridge/freezer, lamps & outlets). Nice bright light in the bathroom. The stairwell also looked decent. It would be nice if more BW could be like this.

This hotel was really nice. Everything was renovated within the last couple of years and tastefully decorated. The room was clean and the mattress, linens and pillows were top quality and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was clean, but the tub needed some new caulking where it was black in a lot of areas. That was the only fault i found, so I would have to say that it was a great place to stay and we would definitely stay again.

This is the second time we stay at this particular Best Western Inn. It is clean and spacious. There is a closet, no drawer space. No safe. The bathroom counter is small. Complimentary hot breakfast is quite good. People are friendly. It is close to restaurants and the business district for shopping. We would stay again.

You get a lot of bang for your buck at this place. Everything was much, much higher class than the rates indicated. The bedding was high end, tastefully decorated and pristine. The building is lovely with a location just a few miles to the bridge. Great little spot!

Great hotel - modern rooms - onsite laundry if you need. Close to restaurants and restaurants. Hotel has bar plus sells snacks and sundry items - great if you forget something. Staff are helpful. Nice pool.

Totally redone.Very nice place with big TV's and HD channels. Great price and you can walk back from Aturos after margaritas. One of the nicest and best priced places to stay in the area. I will stay here from now on when in the area.

My husband and I couldn't wait to get back to our favorite hotel in the RG Valley last week when we traveled down for some dental work! As usual the GM, George has this place running smooth as silk, and his team is perched ready to assist customers in any request that might come their way...Ms. Margarita was our personal housekeeper, and did a first-class job on preparing our room for our return!! Located slightly off the main expressway under swaying palms, it avoids the traffic noise but still provides easy access to wherever you need to go in the valley including SPI or Mexico... My husband, usually a "picky eater", raved about the complimentary breakfast...Thanks again Town Center for another enjoyable stay...we'll be back!!

Very nice accommodations. Our house was flooded and repairs are still going on at my house. The breakfast was very convenient and made my mornings relaxing. Fixing water damage is very stressful. Room was always clean and my daughter definitely enjoyed the pool. The fitness center was also awesome

My clients had told me about Best Western Town Center Inn. In general, they thought they were getting a great deal on quality lodging. I recently had a chance to use this hotel and found that they were right. This is easily one of the nicer hotels in the area with clean, modern rooms. There are several restaurants (Arturo's, Mongolian Grill, Luby's) just about 100 yards away from the hotel and a theatre 300 yards away. Those restaurants are close enough and good enough you might not have to go anywhere else during a short stay. I plan to recommend this hotel to my clients who visit me at Stetic Implant & Dental Centers in Nuevo Progreso, Mexico.

I booked for a week for work and checked in on Monday and upgraded to a Junior Suite with microwave and refrigerator. Had two separate rooms, queen bed with 55" flat screen and desk and separate room for another 55" TV sofa and pull out sofa with bed. Very clean and maid service was extremely thorough. Fresh towels and shampoo items replinished everyday along with vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom. Staff was extremely nice and breakfast was good. Great price and will stay there again

We visited Westlaco to attend a family birthday party held near the hotel. Aside from convenience, the hotel was very clean and neat, and the staff friendly and professional. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 1 night it was very clean and breakfast was good. The gentlemen at the front desk very polite and great customer service. I asked if I can be on the same floor as my parents and they had no problem with moving my room from the 3rd floor down to the 1st floor.

We enjoyed our stay in a suite at the Town Center Inn. Jason at the front desk got us in our room as quickly as he could even though we arrived early. The friends we were visiting in the area said it was the nicest hotel they had seen in the area and that they will recommend this hotel to others who come to visit them. We especially liked the iced lemon cucumber water, and the breakfast was also good.

The hotel rooms were clean but the beds were extremely hard. the pool was never clean and there weren't enough towels for 4 people. That said the hotel staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good.

I will have to return in August, and I plan on staying at this same location. Price was extremely reasonable and the ambiance was lovely. The beds were top quality and actually missed the mattress the first night I was in my own home I stayed in Rm 309 great view of the pool and close to the elevator

One of the best features about this property is the customer service - always courteous and accommodating. They also serve a hearty and varied breakfast bar which is included in the price of the room.

Walking in there was a faint smell of a dirty mop, however; the customer service was fantastic. The room was extremely clean, and our needs were met when requesting additional towels, blankets etc. The room was extremely cold, and housekeeping was very attentive. Four stars because the lobby smelled like dirty water and requested a wake up call @ 5 a.m. - didn't receive until 5:30 a.m.

The room was extremely comfortable and the price was amazing. Very clean and well kept grounds. The pool is small but nice. The free breakfast was out of this world...could not believe how great it was. Will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

I came across this hotel by chance after cancelling my reservations at another hotel so we could be closer to my step daughters graduation. We drove all the way from Dallas and upon our arrival we received the warmest welcome from the front desk. Very clean and our room was super nice, I was very impressed. The pool area was perfect and we really enjoyed it. My husband and I slept better than on our mattress at home and sadly had to wake up early the next morning to drive back to Dallas where we live. Breakfast was good, service from morning, noon and night staff the best there is. Great customer service goes a long way, they made us feel welcomed and accommodated us with every thing we needed. Thank you so much for a great stay, this is a hidden gem in the Valley area. If we ever travel there again, this is where we will stay.

This hotel never disappoints me. I've been staying here for several years. Usually 5-6 days a month. Very clean, nice free breakfast, very good staff. Rooms are very clean. Everything you could possibly need in the workout room. This hotel had an almost complete upgrade a little over a year ago. Arturo's Restaurant is within walking distance. One of the best restaurants in the valley. Best margaritas on the planet.

We have stayed at this hotel several times since it became a Best Western, and many times before it took over new owenership. This time was not for pleasure but because a dear family member had passed away. The staff at the hotel was so amazingly caring and accommodating! From fresh towels to borrowing a pencil for my kids to do their homework, they went above and beyond to make our stay perfect for all of our family and friends that were staying there this week. We stayed 3 nights and had a great experience! The staff was friendly, the room was comfortable and clean, the hotel was updated, and breakfast was good. We had an issue with our comforter when we first arrived, and the staff quickly responded and went above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend!

Our family had a funeral to attend in Weslaco and had to go without much arrangements. BW Town Center gave is the best rate because of our situation. We had a nice, comfortable, clean room and made everything so much better. The staff was helpful and accommodating to our needs in such a hard time. Very pleased!

We stayed two nights at this hotel - and it was one of the best stays in recent memory. Our room was well laid out with a sofa and a lounge chair plus a king bed. It was extremely quiet as there was little noise within the hotel or from the nearby highway. The WIFI was excellent and the complimentary hot breakfast was very good - although on the first morning, the eggs served could have been hotter. All of the above at a convenient location and reasonable price.

This hotel is a recently remodeled Fairfield and is very nice. This was a return trip to the Valley for birding. I decided to give it a try from our usual spot and the choice was good. It is accessible to Weslaco birding spots as well as other birding spots which require a further drive. This hotel was clean and comfortable. The front desk is pleasant and the lobby is nice. The breakfast was good and coffee is generally available throughout the day and evening. We are decaf drinkers which can sometimes be hard to find. The drive entry into this hotel can be confusing at first as from one side it requires a cut through an adjacent parking lot. Once you get that down, there is no problem. We had stayed at this hotel before it became a Best Western so we were familiar with the location. Wi-Fi was good as was the A/C unit which was quiet. Our room on the second floor overlooked the pool area. While you can see the highway from the hotel, there is no road noise. The ice machine was on our floor but at the end of the hall so there was no noise from the machine either. Breakfast was good and varied. The hotel kept the breakfast area tidy throughout the serving time. Pick a table near the window as it looks out on the pool area and there are trees on the far side and you might just see a bird. This was a good choice for us and we will stay at this hotel again when we return to the Valley area.

Stayed here for a week in the King Suite. Very nice and spacious. Close to restaurants and movie theatre. Only down fall was the computer in the lobby was working on and off but the front desk person was nice enough to let us use his to print off boarding passes. Breakfast was good and well stocked. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for business travel. Hotel is located just off the expressway. It is also within walking distance to two great restaurants. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good and had a nice variety of hot and cold items. Room was very comfortable.

This hotel has been remodeled and was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here again. We used this location for a birding trip and it is well located, close to the freeway and close to key birding spots. Have to say it was also very close to a great restaurant...Arturo's.

The staff, location, amenities and cleanliness are hard to beat. The staff was friendly and very pleasant to deal with. We would stay there again when we are back in the area. The suite that we had was spacious and had everything we needed and then some. Housekeeping was thorough and friendly as well.

We have stay at this property many times in the past when it was a Fairfield Inn. This was our first stay in more than 5 years and it is now a Best Western. I am delighted to say that it is a great improvement under new ownership. Decor has been updated and it is smart and comfortable. Standouts include the hearty spread they serve for breakfast daily (included in room rate) and the large, HD TVs in the rooms. Our stay was very comfortable and satisfactory.

Our room was very clean and comfortable. In fact, the conference room was available and the breakfast area was very clean as well. The attendant was friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were good each of the days we stayed at the hotel.

Everyone here was very friendly. We checked in the night before Christmas Eve, checked out Christmas Day. Even though it was holiday, the staff never made you feel that they were upset they had to be there. The rooms were very nice, quiet and clean! We would definitely stay there again!

I was surprised to see how clean it was. I have stayed at a few different places in Weslaco and this was by far the nicest. I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone that is going to Weslaco Texas.

Room was clean and comfortable.Maid did forget to replenish towels one night and toilet paper one other night. Desk staff generally very attentive. Location adjacent to US-2/Expwy 83, plenty of restaurants close by, location was quiet and well-landscaped. For the price, this hotel is a good deal.

had a very nice time at this hotel. breakfast was good. Pool had too much chlorine but had fun in it. Lobby nice. rooms clean and neat. tv good size. air conditioning good. Used couch sofa for kids. had everything I asked for.

We had a very nice experience at this hotel. Very clean, quiet area and friendly staff. Great location with lots of restaurants (both fast food and sit down) and stores within a very short distance from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

I loved the stat, the rooms/ hotel was updated above and beyond. Could not ask for better at such a great price. Would recommend to anyone in the area, also had lots to do food and shopping in the area also

Foremost, I extend my appreciation for George S. for his attention to my needs. The staff worked very hard to attend to all who had evacuated from impending danger upon the Gulf Coast region. Especially the woman who attended the breakfast in the morning for all the guests. I also appreciate the attention the maintenance man who pitched in where he was not required. I recommend all who receive such attention to compensate those who serve one's needs as I have done. Thank you to all the staff at the Weslaco BW! The only draw back was the business center.

As far as hotels go it was new looking, people were nice, everything worked, and it was in a great location. The price was so good we upgraded to a suite and we were not disappointed. Everything was clean and nice and parking was super close.

The first room we stayed in overnight had an AC unit that wasn't working too well. The room was a warm, but we lowered the temp and decided to let it try and cool down. We spent the night there and it never really got colder. So the second day I let the front desk know and they moved us. With all that comes with a funeral we were out late that day and when we came back to the room we went straight to bed. In the morning we all woke up with bites on us. We checked the bed and there were some ants under the pillows and up top by the headboard. My boyfriend and his niece have mild allergies to bites and they swelled up pretty badly. So again I tell the frog desk. She offers a discount and a new room. But never offered an apology or anything. While we are getting ready for the viewing and mass, we're also trying to switch rooms. I grabbed some of my bags, went into the next room and checked the beds. This time the ants weren't even under pillows or sheets, they were right in top of the comforters. I called down to the front desk and let the girl know and she said she would be right up. She came in and handed me the key to yet another room, again not offering an apology or even asking to come in and see the ant problem, which leads me to believe we weren't the firsts who this had happened to and they weren't surprised to hear about it. At this point I told her we're not staying here another night. That was the third room and we had a lot more pressing matters while we are in town than to keep switching rooms. She just says "okay, well I won't charge you for last nights stay." Again, no apology, sincerity or showing interest at all in customer satisfaction at all. We load up and go check out, and find out she had charged me for both nights at a "discounted rate" (which is about less than $10 a night). I ask about the second nigh which she said she wouldn't charge us for, and her response is that she couldn't get it approved by her manager because I didn't tell her until in the morning. Had I made her aware of the problem before we went to bed she could've maybe done something! I wasn't aware I needed to bring this to their attention when I myself didn't know it was even a problem. Like I would let loved ones, including a child sleep in a bed, get bit on purpose just to try and get a free stay! Again no apology or attempt to correct a situation which I am pretty sure they themselves where aware of. I have pictures to prove this and only with Facebook would let me add this to reviews. If you're traveling to Weslaco try the Holiday Inn down the road. At least here they worked to accommodate me with an early check in so we could drop our things off before the funeral.

We stayed at the hotel for a week and it was definitely a good price for the room. We were disappointed that they did not have any rooms with 2 queen beds left so we had to stay in a suite. The suite was ok. It had a bed and a queen sofa sleeper in it. We also requested a rollaway bed. The staff member at check in was very helpful and pleasant. We were able to take advantage of the hot breakfast at the hotel a couple of days. The food was ok but the eggs were often tasteless. The weekend hours were 7-10 but the weekday hours were 6-9 which is early if you are on vacation and trying to enjoy sleeping in sometimes.

We went down for a swim meet and were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. It was very close to the expressway and there were lots of choices of restaurants to choose from. We will definitely stay here again.

The hotel was very clean, quite and relaxing. The location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Even a movie theater a short walk away. I would recommend highly if you are traveling with children. A full breakfast bar makes feeding the kids effortless.

Great place to stay and comfy bed, hotel staff was on point with checking in and their customer service. Great quality for the price and really nice room. Easy access right off the highway with good restaurants close by and movie theater within walking distance.

This is a newer hotel. The staff is very friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. I have stayed many times in Weslaco and this hotel is very comfortable. It is mostly Situated in the center of shopping in Mexico, an outlet mall and "strip" malls with many stores.

The front desk clerk Jason Horton was amazing! He was so helpful and friendly. He gave us directions and advice on places to go. He also helped us change our reservation so we could stay longer. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained daily.

Very clean and nice room...tv remote was even in a clean bag! Our room was near the pool, but you could not hear any noise. The only noise we did hear was from the ice machine which was right outside out door, but it was not used too much. Beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. The double bed room had a small desk which was nice to be able to use. All smelled nice and clean !

This isn't a 5 star hotel/Inn. But you'd be hard pressed to find a nicer Best Western anywhere, hence the 5 star rating. The place looks very new or recently constructed. We stayed in a room with a king bed. The bed was very comfy and we slept great. The air conditioner quickly acclimates the room to whatever temp you set it to. Room had refrigerator/freezer a microwave and a large flat screen TV. Decor was clean and fresh. Breakfast had buttered scrambled eggs and sausage patties as well as a large selection of traditional continental items (waffles, fruit cereal, etc). If you're coming this way you'll be happy you stayed here, especially considering the price!

They have the best staff, always there to help in any way they can. Always have coffee and creamer. I love my coffee!!! Rooms are clean and beds are great. The breakfast is great, egg cereal and waffles and all the toppings. Just a great place to stay, HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

Had a hot water issue, but just had to let hot water run a little longer...great room and personnel was great. Great breakfast. Good wi-fi. All in all this a great place. We stayed in one of the handicapped rooms, because my wife needs that. The room was excellent.

Checkin and checkout were fast and easy, the room was clean, the towels thick and plentiful, the water hot when needed, the AC easy to control, the breakfast excellent (eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, juices, good coffee, fresh fruit, etc, etc), the walls thick enough that I heard no other occupants and no traffic even though the room was on the ground floor facing the driveway and parking. Altogether, an excellent place.

Check in at this hotel was fast and easy. Facing the breakfast area, the public restrooms are to your right and the ice machine is to your left. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, I will include pics. They have a small refrigerator with a separate freezer on top, and the freezer is large enough to hold your ice bucket. For breakfast, they have scrambled eggs with chorizo, plain scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, tortillas, a variety of salsas, waffles, fruit cups, yogurt, cereal, make-your-own oatmeal, raisins, brown sugar.

What can i say? This was my first time staying in the Weslaco area over the course of 4 days and i was absolutely blown away. I checked in late after midnight and the young red haired lady working over night was very sweet and kind and offered me a bottle of water and she even signed me up to be a rewards member. Every morning breakfast was put out bright and early, they had fresh scrambled eggs. i was very surprised that the eggs were made from scratch, i didn't know hotels did that anymore, i was very pleased. They also had an assortment of meats, cereals, oatmeal, teas, and hot Texas shaped waffles! My daughters loved them. The decor was very modern and vivid yet i felt as if i was at home in comfort the entire time. I will be stopping by the valley more often and although i work in Harlingen Texas which is a 40 min drive away, i will be choosing to stay at this location. All staff are very friendly and all of my needs were met. I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

This hotel blew me away on the internet with its pictures and its economical prices....and to my surprise upon arrival at the hotel..it looked exactly like the pictures on the internet so I was already happy when I checked in. The staff was great starting with George who made my welcome very friendly and we spoke every morning thereafter. Also Monica, who made sure that I had what i requested with towels and wash clothes and last Maria, the cook who went above and beyond to ensure that her customers were happy....wonderful staff, rooms were excellent and looks again just like the pictures on the internet...shopping areas within walking distance and the Mongolian place in front of hotel was great with great prices. I liked the size of the room and how it offered all the daily essentials for living. It included an iron, ironing board, hair dryer, refrigerator, and microwave. The room was clean and the amenities were easily accessible. The staff was helpful and friendly too.

We stayed one night, swam,slept and ate breakfast. We brought in cold food and the room had a nice refrigerator/freezer so we were very happy. The microwave was great for popcorn and the towels were very soft and absorbent. The bathroom was upscale and neat. I requested a handicap accessible room. They didnt have a low entry bathroom ours had hand bars and the sink was clear for approach.

I'm a frequent traveler and have stayed at many different hotels across the country, even other Best Westerns. This hotel was the only hotel I actually enjoyed breakfast at! The eggs were real eggs, there was homemade salsa available. The chopped fresh fruit was so ripe and delicious! If there was one competitive advantage this hotel had besides the clean look and modern feel to the hotel, the breakfast absolutely made it stand out!

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was better than most hotels. Only negative is that there aren't any signs posted off the main road. It was a little difficult to locate the entrances.

Working in South Texas the past four weeks and have stayed at this place. We have about another month to go and nothing but good to say about the staff. No It's not a five star hotel but even those have issues and if you look hard enough you may find some things to complain about here as well. I always look for a comfortable place to stay with a decent breakfast for my team when we travel but it has to fit in our budget. Our first day there the manager asked one of my worker to talk to me about setting us up for a corporate rate. Most place you have to fight for better rates. Breakfast is good. All of the front desk employees are friendly, house keeping staff is trust worthy and really good. They have a nice small work out room with plenty of weights and a couple of exercise machines. Would definitely recommend this place for what ever reason you have to travel to or through Weslaco.

Newly renovated hotel is well done. Very clean inside and outside. All new beds, tubs/showers, desk, chairs, carpet, tile and cabinets. Staff is excellent. Free hot breakfast is a real plus!! Located in the middle of the Rio Grande Valley with plenty of excellent restaurants nearby. Prices are very reasonable. Will certainly be staying here on my business trips!!

This property never disappoints. The staff is always friendly and professional, kuddos to the GM for running such a great place. We have had summer camps for special needs children, and had our med staff stay at this property. They had nothing but good things to say, they used the pool, had breakfast and complimented our choice of hotels. I chose to stay because we had a late night planning session and early morning meeting planned, the room was awesome, comfortable and as always very, very clean.

First room was on 2nd floor - next door to very noisy guests with loud tv. Not many guests in hotel at all, so they moved us to a "quiet room". Suggestion - if you don't have many guests, put them far apart.

Staff top box, cleanliness excellent, location has two restaurants next door and a movie theater within walking distance. Centrally located in Valley and little over an hour away from the South Padre Island.

Customer service agents were very polite and accommodating. Room was clean and spacious. Air conditioning worked well. Pool looked clean. Hotel had been recently renovated. Sofa bed was comfortable. Portable crib was a welcome amenity.

We ended up staying here for about 8 days. The staff was great and the rooms modern. Convenient location to US83 but far enough away that freeway traffic noise was not an issue. I found the breakfast to be just so, so but plenty of cereals, milk, coffee if you don't want eggs,bacon or sausage. Give a special thanks to Monica, Joel, and Jorge for making our stay enjoyable.

I had never stayed at a best western before and i can say without a doubt because of my stay here i'm a fan of best western now. i hope that they're all this upscale and nice. the front desk told me that they had recently renovated and you can tell! everything in our room was brand new and the TV was huge. We went the pool only once and it was nice out. Breakfast was good they had a variety of items such as eggs, bacon, sausage, and waffles. all of the Front Desk staff were so helpful and nice made me feel like i was being taking care of. The morning guy was very kind and helpful during check out he offered me a couple of water bottles for my long trip home. it was great stay, next summer this is the place i will choose to come back too.

We loved the place it was really elegant and clean, staff was really friendly and the breakfast was awesome and delicious. we are definitely coming back and the price is just perfect for the quality we received

Very comfortable stay , just remodeled so everything is brand new . Nice breakfast ,very quite and very convenient to all the locations we needed to go. The pool looked nice even though we didn't use it I saw people enjoying it.

This was one of my best stays at a BW. The hotel was spotless and looked to be recently. It was way more upscale than most of the BWs I have stayed at. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make you feel valued and welcome. The rooms were not large, but very well furnished and clean. The hotel is located between McAllen and Harlingen. It appeared to be newly remodeled and became a BW a few months earlier. The gentlemen at the front desk was pleasant and informative, He offered me bottled water when arrived and left, the restaurant Arturo's across the parking lot was very good and reasonably priced, There also is a movie theater within walking distance.

Better than hotels that charge at least twice as much at the beach like The Hilton. I saw a big difference after coming back from the beach which I had been there for a week. The Hilton is old and abused and they overcharge. Best Western has free breakfast and with their remodeled place, it actually felt like 4 star hotel and not like a cheap motel, aka island hotels.

Best Western Town Center is by far the BEST BW we have EVER stayed in. We have traveled for 20 yrs. work & pleasure. Most incredible staff EVER! Put them on your bucket list! You will not regret it!!! Thank you BWTC!! We will always be back! Wish they were all like you.

Very Clean Place, Friendly staff and excellent service from everyone. Rooms are modern and amazingly comfortable. Breakfast had delicious fresh eggs and bacon. Defiantly coming back to this hotel again.

We originally paid for a King but received a Queen bed, and a discount. The room was a little cramped but comfortable. The bed was not especially comfortable. It was great having a microwave and a fridge with separate freezer compartment. The outdoor pool was small but refreshing. Service was always friendly. Location is right off the highway and within walking distance of several good restaurants. If we need to visit the Valley again, we will consider the Best Western Town Center Inn in Weslaco.

Renovated hotel changes brand to Best Western and has a good staff that is there to please their guest. The hotel features new fixtures and a staff that attends to the needs of their guests. In particular - the front desk staff is excellent in responding to the needs of their guests.

Stayed here for the weekend,did not know there was a BW here in Weslaco,there used to be and this particular location it shows. This is a renovated hotel and as far as the decor, it looks great lobby lit up but not overly bright. I had a room with a king size bed,47" TV with a decent selection of channels, work desk and a fridge with a seperate door for the fridge and freezer, have never seen that in small refrigerators. No real closet but there was a place to hang your clothes and store them away. The sink is not in the actual bathroom which i think is a good idea, and in the bathroom there is a shower and bathtub,which is nice. King size bed was very comfortable, and the alarm clock has big numbers which is easier to see and the clock radio had the best sound of any i've ever heard from. Exercise room was a great selection of machines,but ran out of water in there. Pool was nice but small. Only real complaint was i had to go down to the front desk each day to get my card re-programmed. Look for the Best Western signs soon,as this place used to be a Fairfield Inn. Overall I would stay here again!

I have previously stayed in the hotel when it was a Marriott. It just reopened as Town Center Inn Best Western and it is much nicer. All new comfortable beds, tubs, basically a new hotel. A real gem to be so nice, comfortable and quiet and situated in the center of the RGV. A real plus is its next to Arturo's Restaurant and quite a few other restaurants and retail shops. Will definitely choose again when doing business in Weslaco.

I looked at this hotels reviews before booking -showed them at a 4 star. But that was a joke. Parking lot was not lit, dark and scary. Walked in to check in, the place smelled like an old moldy musty barn. There was so much humidity in the room the sheets, carpet and tile felt damp. Every where I turned I saw things that needed repair. Lastly there was no refrigerate in the 100.00 a night suite nor any coffee It was midnight when I arrived, super tired and no other place to go so toughed it out till 6 am and then I was out of there. BAD BAD BAD !!!!!

It's not Fairfield anymore, not sure what it is. One brochure said FairInn. The front sign just said Fair. At any rate--rusty bath parts, musty smelly room. To their credit, they say that they are beginning a complete remodeling job. Might want to ask when you book if they are finished with that.

I struggled between a 2 and 3 star. On one hand the place is clean and the staff is very nice. On the other hand this is much older, dated hotel that is in need of a major overhaul. In the past we stayed here because Marriott would offer a discounted rate if you were going to Dentist in Mexico. With the new owners the rate went from $55 to $69 (this is weekday rate not weekend). I still booked it this time because the breakfast they had was amazing - I even asked when making the reservation if it was the exact same breakfast and I was told it was. It was not - they use to have fresh cut up fruit like cantaloupe, grapes, watermelon and the selection of items was about 35% less. Buffet hours are 6-9 and we arrived at 6:20 and there were no eggs or toast - we waited about 10 minutes and still no eggs or toast? We just grabbed some cereal and went back to our rooms. Our last night there the A/C in our room gave out about 1:00 in the morning - we had to move everything down the hall to another room (by ourselves). I understand that the a/c is not their fault (well the front desk gentlemen said they had been having trouble with it and thought it was finally fixed?) We were moved to a room on the side that faces the pool and were woken up at 8:30 in the morning by the sound of maintenance men hammering on the iron fence around the pool - trying to repair several sections. But at least the noise from the guy mowing the grass at 9:00 was able to drown out the hammering for about 30 minutes. Geez - Spring Break and I still can't sleep in. It goes without saying that I won't be staying here anymore. For $55 it was worth the price but for $70 I think I will go back to the Comfort Inn or try out a new place. I can see why Marriott is not associated with this property anymore. I will say in closing that the staff was always very nice and the room was clean - just dated and dingy.

Good location with prompt courteous service. Reasonably priced. Rooms clean and in good order. Close to plenty of places to go out and eat. Recommended Good choice in local area. Here on business and it worked out fine.

I decided to stay here because it was rated well and it was new. I guess my expectations were a bit too high. First of all, pretty much everything was out of order -- the elevator, the pool, the ice machines.... The front desk staff did offer to help us carry our stuff upstairs, but there was no help during check out. The room was dirty. There was a dead baby roach in the information book on the desk in the room (see picture). There were several areas of the wall needed repair/painting. There were exposed wires hanging out of the ceiling where a fan or light fixture should have been. I just don't see how this place had such great reviews. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was decent -- make-it-yourself waffles with lots of other choices including hot food like bacon and scrambled eggs....but the eggs had a terrible taste to them -- almost plastic-y or something. I couldn't swallow down even a bite. Everything else was fine though. There was cereal, yogurt, toast, and everything else you would expect of a continental breakfast. The best part of this hotel is that it is RIGHT behind Arturo's Bar and Grill which is one of my favorite restaurants in the world. The cheese enchiladas are soooo delicious. I used to live in Weslaco, and I came back all the way from Galveston where I happened to be for a month or so just to eat at this restaurant and one other over on South Padre Island (Gabriella's).
