This property is a couple miles from the freeway, reason we stayed here. They do have a large indoor pool. The rooms are not soundproof, suggest getting room on uppermost floor to avoid someone walking on the ceiling! Also, if you are a Rewards member you may or may not be recognized - and don't count on the small welcome snack - maybe you'll be offered water.

We wanted to stay at a place with a pool that was close to the freeway and this place fit the bill. My 2 kids, 6 and 9, had so much fun playing in it. The jacuzzi was still broken so I am thinking it is not going to get fixed. The room we stayed in on the 3rd floor was fine. No ants, no cockroaches, clean bathroom and sheets. We were all tired and slept great. There was a tv with plenty of stations across from the bed that worked with no problems. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room and working ice station right down the hall which was convenient. The carpets were stained and most of the plugs didn't work...our chargers slipped right out so we couldn't charge phones, computer or ear buds next to the beds. And the security lock seemed like it could easily be pushed out of the door frame. The buffet breakfast in the morning was free and there were lots of options. Cereal, toast, bagels, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, yogurt, hard-boiled eggs, and orange juice. There are quite a bit of homeless people in the area and warnings posted about thievery, so don't keep valuables in your car. Overall, this was a fine budget hotel.

Hotel was pretty run down. Door handle came off in my hand when I went to use their gym room. Hot tub was not working. Also one sink in the room was out of order. Seems like they need to put some money back into this place.

The only good thing about this place is Victoria and Trey. We rented 2rooms both had ants,cockroaches,dirty carpet,broken hot tub (since April). Ice machine on 1st floor only for certain guests. We were told to use the ice machine on 3rd floor by lady on check in( we were on 1st floor). Found out that the long term guests use the 1st floor ice machine to fill up their ice chests. Asked for disabled room. Wasn't given. My father-in-law struggled to take a shower which sprayed everywhere but inside the shower. All this was reported. Shower was never fixed.(it flooded the bathroom) caused my father-in-law to slip. We were supposed to stay longer. We left early as I woke up with ants etc crawling on my face. Trey and Victoria were willing to move us. However when other guests were checking out they said they were not happy that they had bugs also. So what's the point! No manager has called or nothing. Even though it's noted on our reservation.

quiet part of town near to the interstate, heated indoor pool!, breakfast included, staff accommodating. Will definitely stay here again! There is a nice view from the rooms, all amenities work, and overall good value!

The Wi-Fi was down for the entire stay. The mattress cover was too small for the bed and kept coming off whenever you moved. The shower/tub took an hour to drain, so you stood ankle deep in dirty water for every shower and then because it took an hour to drain, all of the dirt and grime solidified to the tub sides and base. we stayed for three nights and had to have our room keys redone every day because they stopped working. Homeless people all around the property and often trying to get in and in a couple of cases they got in through a back door. We did not feel safe at this hotel and in addition to the other issues we feel we were overcharged for the stay that was provided. And don't even get me started about the so called free breakfast!

"OK stay but..."

Stay was ok. Rooms were clean. Not all the plugs worked in our room. Only problem was I was told I got a Veteran's discount on my rooms at 152-157 but card was charged 171+ for each room. Also the windows didn't open but an inch or two, so no fresh air. Had to run A/C most of the time. Other than that it was ok.

Stayed for a night and the room wasn't as nice nor as clean as I had expected which I would have let go had the in room hot tub wasn't so nasty! We tried to clean it 2x and it just kept filling with nasty brown debris. The room was stinky and there were lots of ants.

We have stayed here twice, The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly. And it has a indoor pool. It is located in a close to shopping and many restaurants. It's near the highway, so it has easy access to where you want to go.

Would never stay here or recommend. Manager came out to fix our bathroom door when our toddler locked it shut from the outside (as toddlers do). Not only does the hotel not own a master key for the bathrooms (??) but the owner/manager was extremely rude and inconsiderate as he pried the door open with screwdrivers. Took more than 30 minutes before we got the door open again. Never apologized for our inconvenience. Thank you to the receptionist who was indeed very nice. Hallways smelled like bleach and cigarettes. Bugs found in the jacuzzi which also turned completely milky when the jets came on. Thought we were going to have a better experience for the price of this hotel! Our mistake. Your warning.

We've stayed here numerous times in the past and it's gone downhill fast since over a year ago. Avoid this place if you can. Tuesday check-in... Problems started with electrical shorts in the room. Plugs fall out of outlets. TV/Fridge/Microwave and Converter all on a splitter plugged into one outlet that was shorting and looked like burn marks on it. TV sound didn't work. We requested another room and were "upgraded to a suite" with King and pullout bed (was told pullout had no bedding to bring it from our 1st room for it). This room had similar issues with outlets. The tile around the jacuzzi was broken and caulking was rotting away with big gaps. Sheets were stained with pink/red splotches. Outside in parking lot was a party. J&R Tree Service had about 20 employees staying who decided to drink and smoke pot both in the parking lot and in the rooms next to us. The pot smoke came into our room causing an allergic reaction in my Fiance and breathing problems in our daughter. Told front desk where it was coming from (the 2 rooms right next to us where you could smell it clearly in the hall) and the person said she couldn't smell anything due to having had COVID. We were given an Ionizer to try to clean the air but was told we couldn't run it more than 30 minutes. Next day (Wednesday) Had same issues with J&R Tree Service people partying like the night before like it was a giant frat house. Still asked for sheets with no luck so we went and bought our own sheets. 3nd day (Thursday) Front desk clerk told us J&R had checked out. A couple walk into the hotel smoking a joint, into the elevator with me and my underage daughter as we were going out. I told them to put it out and was ignored. We called the front desk but no one answered. We took a picture of their car with plates. When we returned, we went to the front desk and gave Melita (front desk person) the picture and the info. She told us they do not tolerate that and know who they were. She showed us their paperwork and told us they would be kicked out immediately. Later when we returned their car was still there. We filed a police report with Redding PD who said it was illegal to smoke around minors but up to the hotel to deal with it. We had to stay a 3rd night due to family issues. I was told by night clerk, Melita, that we could stay in the same room for the same rate and I signed the paper for that rate. She told me the potheads were kicked out, even though their car was in the parking lot. That night they were again smoking pot out in the hallway and again fiance and daughter had issues breathing. In the morning as we were packing the van, the same couple was there, again smoking pot right next to a family with an infant and toddler who were trying to pack up and leave as well. As we were checking out and telling front desk the issues, the desk clerk (Victoria) kept telling us she didn't know anything. She gave me my checkout summary and I noticed I was overcharged for the room. The printout was not the same one that I signed last night. This one with the higher rate was not even signed. When I mentioned this I was told to contact Corporate because Victoria didn't know what to do. As others have reported here, we were told by staff that the Manager (Taruna) was "out of town". No one but Victoria was wearing name tags, so we had to get names from Victoria. We called Corporate and Keyona (ID #17995) told us that they don't handle billing concerns and they simply take notes and give them to the hotel manager. They had no clue why we were told to call Corporate. Called back to the hotel and talked with Gentry at front desk. She stated they weren't going to do anything because they've never had a guest complain as much as we did and we were just making it all up to get "free stuff" even though we didn't ask for a partial refund until after they OVERcharged my card. I asked for the rate I signed for and agreed with the desk person for first, or the last night comped. She told us no lawyer would do anything for us either. This morning (6 days after getting home and 4 days after mgr was supposedly back from "vacation") I once again called the hotel to speak to the manager and once again told she was not in/sick. Still no callback as promised. Corporate called again and again told that they won't do anything as it's up to the hotel. They did let me know that the manager has also ignored their request to respond to the complaint tickets.

"Not great"

This hotel is not great. It was the least expensive for us and had the better reviews of the “cheaper” motels. The plus was the indoor pool. That said, it was old, the fan/air conditioner was loud and intermittent, it wasn't particularly as clean as I would like. Why are there so many cheap hotels (that seem more expensive than they should be) with poor reviews in Redding? Maybe we are all looking for something better.

I do 140 nights a year in hotels and I probably do 40 nights at this one not bad the others in the area the best value you can get rooms are clean. Staff is very nice indoor swimming pool is nice only downfall is one of the icemaker's doesn't work do you have to use the one on the third floor

The hotel looks nice on the surface, but overall I'm not happy. The carpets have tons of stains and even had clumps of pet hair which showed they didn't even vacuum in between stays. My daughter was taking a bath and pulled a dirty sock out from behind the toilet and said what's this?? The bed was hard as a rock and I could feel the springs in it. I like staying in hotels for the experience but this was horrible. I definitely feel like I wasted my money staying here.

room was spotless and well arranged for incoming parties. It was clean and the staff was friendly in all areas. The pool and jacuzzi area was clean and safe. the water was perfect. the in room jacuzzi tub worked great and the quietness of the hotel was spectacular we would definally rcccommed others to stay here ad will definally be returnig ourselvess. dot forget to signup at bestwester.com for reward points bye ya'll.

No blankets on the beds, just sheets. No pool towels. Gym not 24r as the website says. One of the reasons we booked this hotel. Front desk not really interested in fixing anything. Just got oh well, we are not best western that is thier website.

I don't even know where to start. The whole floor smelled like smoke. The pool was dirty, beds were uncomfortable, shower drain was clogged, stains on the carpets, toilet didn't flush unless you hold the handle down, stains on the carpet, outlets didn't work and the lights didn't work. The drawers in the dresser had food crumbs and hair in them. We paid too much for this room for the condition it was in. The breakfast was weird tasting eggs, cold sausage and watery orange juice. We will never go back. Thankfully we were there one night. The receptionist was very nice.

Staff was nice but hotel room gross. Blood stained sheets. Filthy stained furniture. Bums begging for change in parking lot. Would not recommend or stay here again. Location is fine, close to freeway and fast food places for quick bite.

The staff wasn't very attentive. Stood in the lobby for 20 min before leaving, and returning later. The breakfast was lacking. Needed to ask for bowls to be able to grab cereal, which seems to have been the only option. The room needed to be vacuumed, as there were pistachio shells all over from the previous occupant. Other than that, it was a place to sleep!

Over several years we've stayed here 6 times, both during covid and pre-covid. In the beginning we were very happy here, great price/value, staff was super helpful and friendly. The staff have stayed pretty good, but they have to work with what they have. The chair in our room was disgustingly dirty and stained with a large burn hole in the ottoman. Tiles around the tub are broken and missing, and the carpet was very worn and stained. Our room was missing the TV remote and do not disturb sign. Front desk staff was able to find a remote from an unoccupied room, but they couldn't find another do not disturb sign so we had to deal with the maids knocking each morning, not a big deal but an inconvenience, The area around the hotel has declined also, loads of transients in the area, several people jumping the wall behind the hotel, and some very shady people in vehicles at all hours. Overall we used to love staying here, now I don't think we'll go back.

we had a reservation at another hotel in Redding but the room was horrible so we look around and found Sure Stay, Ciera at the front desk was wonderful so when we were returning on our trip we again stay at Sure Stay. The hotel is a little older was was clean and the staff very helpful.

Something we cannot see which how our reservation via online went to thru the other end. I booked pet friendly room via Best Western.com. However, I was told that I booked via booking.com and not select pet friendly room. I selected non refundable room but since room was not available I requested for refund. She cannot help me to refund process at all, not call to manager or supervisor either. I called Best Wester customer service and what I did was what they saw on their side too. She was not help us for ask other Best Wester for room availabilities but refused to assist me either. The reason was they were franchise... !? A week later, I have not heard any thing from this hotel which I was told to get response from the manager.

I try and stay at the Sure stay in Redding CA, everytime I travel thru there, the hotel is always clean and the everyone is very friendly, this trip i encountered a very sweet and happy young lady at the front desk, her name is Sierra, she was AMAZING great personality and very helpful 10 Stars for her.

Very disappointed with the price we paid for our room. I believe they raised the prices due to several fires burning and people needed rooms due to evacuations of homes. It is unfortunate that businesses take advantage of people like this.

Redding isn't exactly a destination town. The hotel served the purpose. My kid loved the pool, the staff was helpful. The housekeeping service saw us leaving, and asked which room we were in (I'm a sucker for people who are efficient at their jobs). And the breakfast grab bags had a nice variety in them.

We drove down from Oregon head back home to Arizona, this was the stop for the night, our room door lock was broke so we had the keys fixed 3 times but nothing. Then the front office lady changed our room, we got a room with smaller beds. We paid for two qeens, got two doubles. The room smelled like piss from humans and dogs. The A/C unit was blowing out piss smelling air. The carpets were stained and definitely had fresh pee. The bedding on both beds had stains or weren't even changed out. The fan in the bathroom had a broken nob, so it didn't work. The shower pressure was a joke. The beds are very uncomfortable, even our 6yr old son didn't like the bed. Definitely not worth the money, it felt like a hole in the wall rat motel. The room was cesspool of bacteria. BEWARE!!!!!

This was Avery clean hotel. They did a great job of keeping things safe from COVID-19. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were a little worn out but I still slept fine. The AC worked great, which was important since it was 100 degrees outside! The pool was nice too.

Location was great, pool was great, staff was great, room was clean with your necessities but the carpet was really dirty, USB and outlets didn't work in our room and breakfast was in a bag due to covid, we didn't eat it because it wasn't our choice for breakfast, we went out for breakfast, so spending extra money for this hotel was not worth it

$229/nt?!? The sheets had blood stains and the nightstand had crusty dried food. The outlets didn't work so we couldn't charge our devices. When we spoke to the front desk, Ciara apologized but kept saying she was the only one there. I had to clean a pancake out the pool so my son could play and the spa was broken. I should have heard from them by now, but since they don't want to resolve this I must leave this review. This place is gross and I will never stay here again.

"Don't Stay at Sure Stay"

This hotel needs a major overhaul. A/C was on it's last leg. Hallways were dirty, walls scuffed & in need of repair. Lobby was presentable, but once you turned the corner everything changed. I wouldn't stay here if I had another choice.

I booked a 1-night stay, but cancelled several days before my trip. I was assured that the reservation was cancelled. Then I was charged for the room. Hotel staff provided zero help and the customer care line disregarded my case. I am so disappointed in BW. I am a rewards member and preferentially seek out BW properties on my various travels. I feel like loyalty means nothing and BW really let me down.

Staff was nice on my checkin. Couldn't find anyone when wanting to check out but it was early morning to go to airport. The bed was comfortable, but room had a musty odor and bathroom wasn't clean on arrival.

The staff was very friendly, and although the room was a little small - it was comfortable. Breakfast was packed due to COVID, but the bag had a very good selection of items - they did the best they could to provide a good breakfast.

This is a reliable SureStay BW Hotel that we enjoyed staying at in the summer of 2020 so stayed again May 2021. Staff was always helpful, rooms clean and quiet and comfortable, includes coffee maker, frig and quiet AC, plus easy off of Hwy 5 and restaurants nearby. While the regular breakfast was only "bagged" the Jimmy Dean Sausage & Cheese Croissant, yogurt, snack bar, fruit and juice fit the bill for our type of traveling.

"Bedbugs"

Switched rooms 3 times and bedbugs were in all 3 rooms. Had to replace $400 worth of items damaged because of infestation. Staff denied obvious bedbugs. Room smelled musty and looked like it had never been vacuumed—dead bugs on the floor. Carpet and chair were stained.

"rooms in poor shape"

First room we got to wasn't made up. Back to lobby. second room key didn't work. Third attempt was livable, but chair leg was broken and wall mounted night light didn't work. Person at desk was nice and apologetic, but rooms need detailed maintenance. Heated pool wasn't very warm and hot tub was closed and out of order.

But had an odor in the room. A few of the electrical plugs were not working next to the beds. Mattresses were in poor condition, seems they were held up by plywood. Requested another room and they had nothing. Will not recommend this hotel!!

"The double housekeeping forgot?"

After a quick review of hotels in Redding,we needed a last minute room for sleeping upon driving 17 hour trip home from So.Cal back to Oregon, and everywhere I called was booked. Ended up choosing this one as it was close to where we stopped and dined and the pictures looked nice. Our front desk night attendant was very friendly and just a breath of fresh air so sweet and talked our ear off but in a non pretentious annoying way and I must say she was the BEST and only nice part of our stay here. We were on the first floor located far down the corridors of hell. Our room was dark dank and smelled of dust mites stale cigarette smoke and generic fabric re fresher.There were cigarette burns all over the soiled smelly carpet, our bed mattresses were literally sloping to one side, to even out weight distribution we slept sideways,linens smelled so awful like when you walk into a Goodwill store and everything is used and musty. There was an excessively overly stained dirty chair in the corner I wouldn't of let a pet even sleep on it , so nasty and stinky. Cracks all over the tiles on the floor in the restroom. The electric outlets did not work all our plugs would fall out but there was no electricity running through the plug anyways, the only one that did was the one that had the lamp plugged into. There were coffee ? stained dirty walls , the air conditioning unit was so filled with dust and filth I couldn't even run it ,Drapes didn't close I had to use hair clips and rubber bands to fully shut them.There also was a hole in the wall that had not been patched up yet. I'm sorry to say but everything about our room was disgusting.. I'm not sure what was going on with this little dungeon we stayed in? The only thing we thought of is that we noticed there were sketchy people walking around who lived there so it was clearly a weekly rate hotel.Ok so everyone knows the deal with weekly extended stay places and the usual type of people that go with it,We had 5 stays during our trip and this was the only property I had my husband bring our firearm in with us and didn't leave it in the car.We figured our room had to have been reserved for one of the weekly renters. Really there is NO other explanation to the filth and conditions we endured during our stay. And still don't the weekly occupants deserve a clean room anyhow?Clean it up or it's just gonna become one of those nasty places no one wants to stay at because of infestations of druggies and other element. It's unfortunate as this really does seem like a very nice property.

The night time manger yelled at me and was not helpful in checking me in. Bad customer service.the breakfast was a little ehhh but I guess because of covid they can only do so much. The beds were hard they were not comfortable. The pool had hair in it every time we went that wasn't ours.

My family and I stayed here this last weekend and were very happy with the stay. No, not everything was perfect, but it's rare to get perfection. What I was most happy with was the staff. These guys went above and beyond to resituate rooms (due to our own mess up), every staff member I came across was extra kind and so much more. My family truly appreciated this staff.

The room itself was fine, comfortable and fairly clean looking. however, it was a 30 minute wait to check in at 9pm as there was one guy working. The hallway and elevator smelled of pot, and it was REALLY strong. In the morning, the housekeeping staff was running around frantic, yelling at each other and NONE of them were wearing masks.

the motel I used to stay at lost its accreditation and wasn't listed on the website anymore. So I decided to try a new place to stay. This SureStay Plus was almost 2 miles further from my location that I worked at. I felt it was worth a shot. I saw the SureStay sign from the freeway. So when I arrived the Hotel was very well kept up, lobby clean and covid-19 ready. Pool had water in it! The reception person knew me from the place I used to stay at and welcomed me with a smile! The room was fairly large, everything was perfect. Towels were plentiful and clean, THE TV WORKED! The channels were plentiful, Dish Network was on par! The bed had 5 pillows, there was a chair with a leg rest, a desk with a lamp, and above the nightstand were 3 outlets and 2 usb charging ports.. how convenient!! The bed was pretty good, but was a bit to firm for my liking, could have just been new? The TV wasn't super large, but didn't matter, I was able to see it from all angles in the room. The Dish network cable box and remote worked well, only gripe is the cable from the box to the TV used the RCA jacks (which is the lowest quality picture), instead of HDMI cable. I'm NOT going complain about it because I was able to see the screen just fine. I do wish the LG remote control was available so I could adjust the TV resolution. But aside from these insignificant things, I enjoyed my stay immensely!

"What A Disaster!"

Where to begin? First off, I didn't get this hotel room for me, I got it for my ex-husband who was visiting our son from out of town. He was supposed to stay from the 24th to the 26th, but checked out on the 25th. I met him at the hotel because I had reserved the room under my name, am a Best Western Rewards member, and was using my card. Upon entering into the lobby, we were informed that a $200 cash deposit was required to stay. When I booked the room through the Best Western website there was zero mention of this fee, I even went back to look after I checked him in to make sure I hadn't overlooked it and it wasn't there. We ended up not paying it because I pointed out that if the hotel room was damaged then they have my license and credit card information, which has never been an issue before. The gal ended up waiving the fee saying the manager had implemented the policy. Fast forward to 10 pm. I chose to wrap gifts at the hotel room and make sure that my ex, a disabled Navy veteran, had everything he needed before I left back to my house. Suddenly, there was banging on the exterior glass doors leading back into the hotel, which didn't work, you had to re-enter through the lobby, but this didn't stop the people from banging, screaming, and yelling for someone to let them in. Once they were let in, a man and woman with this group started screaming and yelling at each other. The man got locked out of the hotel room several times and each time he would pound on the door and yell at the top of his lungs. I could hear him from outside on the other side of the hotel, as well as when I re-entered the lobby, and the person at the front desk never did anything about it despite a comment made by me about the late hour and the noise. At around 1 am, I left and the noise had finally subsided until about 1:30 and went on until 4. My ex didn't call the front desk to complain because the people in the room near him, just down the hall from the main lobby said they had called a few times and it didn't seem like anything was being done. I came to pick him up for breakfast at 8:30 and he was packed and ready to check out. I handled the check out and informed the morning front desk person about what had happened and her response was that he should have called and something would have been. I mentioned to her that I had commented about the noise and yelling before I had left and nothing had happened. She only charged us for the one night and my ex ended up staying the night in my son's room, so it worked out, but we will NEVER be back!

I won't be staying here again after tonight's visit. The first room we were given on the 2nd floor, we couldn't get into the room, because the key hadn't been activated then the toilet wouldn't flush. We were moved to another room same floor and again the toilet wouldn't flush but we agreed to keep room while they fixed it. Slept very uncomfortable, it felt like I itched all night. We just went down for breakfast and when we came back with our (sack lunches) and NO coffee And we were locked out of our room.! So disappointed with my stay!!!!!

Nice motel with friendly workers. Location is good except for the unfortunate people around that area. Lock your vehicles up and you should be good. There are some around but not many and they won't harm you in any way.

"Management takes no pride"

Booked 2 rooms for a small family visit. First room was a King Jacuzzi suite on 3rd floor and the entire floor, including our room smelled so horrid! The cigarette and pot smell was unbearable despite all the rooms with signs saying “no smoking.” Finally got the desk clerk to give us some air freshener which helped for short periods. Tried to open the window to air our room out but there was no screen and we didn't want bugs in the room. The Jacuzzi didn't even get hot and when I called down to ask if they had another jacuzzi room available, we were told no. Our second room was on second floor (despite booking a week in advance and asking for them as close together as possible), and that floor smelled fine. After about an hour of being there, my daughter moved a chair from the corner to sit near the bed and under the chair was what appears to be breadsticks from someone's pizza order as well as crumbs and garbage as seen in pic below. Rooms definitely need to be cleaned better and hotel management clearly doesn't enforce the no smoking, as there's no way it goes unnoticed! The front desk clerk was nice enough, but couldn't offer any help according to him.

"Convenience Across From Airport"

We got this hotel because of the location so close to the airport. We were looking forward to having dinner and breakfast at the restaurant inside the hotel. It was closed when we checked in and wouldn't open in the morning before we needed to be at the airport. This made us scrambling to find places to eat. The room was clean, yet for our king sized bed, there were only two very small pillows. I swear that hotel is a block long! The desk clerk said our room was at the end of the hall and the only way in was through the front entrance. We walked and walked, loaded with our luggage forever! We tried our key on a closer door and it worked! On the plus side, it was very quiet. We expected to hear airplanes being so close to the airport but never heard anything.

Friendly reception upon arrival. Received quiet room on top floor as requested with two queen beds, comfy chair, desk & chair, dresser, fridge with freezer shelf, microwave oven. All clean and with contemporary design. The motel is away from the traffic, yet close to grocery stores and a few restaurants. The grab-n-go breakfast was ok. Good choice, good price ($66+tax)

"Horrible experience on Father's Day"

Booked this as a Father's Day present for a relaxing night away. The check in process was fast as I had booked on Priceline. We got a king jacuzzi suite. The room was clean, but smelled musty and moldy. It was around 100 degrees out so took about an hour to get the room to a decent temp which helped with the humidity. We had some crazy person running back and forth above us...called the front desk and it stopped for about an hour...maybe. Decided to soak in the jacuzzi tub...was nice and relaxing for a few minutes...UNTIL...the ceiling above us started leaking nasty water directly onto us and into the tub. Nothing like some moldy water and sheetrock looking like it's gonna fall through to ruin the mood. We called and notified the front desk. She did ask if we wanted to change rooms but it was already after 11 and we weren't up to packing everything up and going through the hassle. Plus I hurt my already messed up shoulder trying to get outta the tub away from the nasty leak as fast as possible. Definitely took the relaxation out of the night and pointless to pay so much more for a jacuzzi suite when we couldn't enjoy it, especially because we live in town so that is literally the reason we wanted to stay here. But hey...at least the tub above us didn't fall through the ceiling....small miracles.

We found a clean and quiet room, and friendly and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and a good value. We will stay with them again. Though a little off the beaten path, the Hotel was easy to finde and conveniently located to several dining options.

"Quarantine away from home"

Despite the social distancing accomodations, my fiancé and I enjoyed our much needed stay away from home and kids. The service was good and room was clean. The bed was very comfortable as was the hot tub very relaxing. Will be returning again in future.

We were on our way home to Canada and the check was perfect and pet friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. They had cancelled breakfast due to the Virus but made us a nice bagged breakfast which was a nice touch. Good Job

"Was thankful for a bed to sleep in..."

Had to stay on the bottom floor because my pug traveled with us. The floor was so dirty bottom of our socks turned black, quite a few of the outlets in the room did not work, and when we pulled back the bedding there was crumbs and other little things under the top sheets. The indoor pool had dead insects floating in it, and when front desk was notified, they told us no one was there to clean the pool. There was excessive overhead stomping, slamming of doors, and running in the room above us that went on until after 11pm. Complaints were first made to the front desk about 9:30pm. We in formed the front desk it was 2 adults with 4 children, however the front desk clerk stated they only had 2 adults and 2 children on file for the room. Does not matter, how many children it was rude, and did not get much sleep before the 6 hours road trip back home.

Went with my daughter to an A.A.U.W. Conference that was held at Simpson College. The facilities were very well maintained. The room was spacious, breakfast had several hot and cold options, and the indoor pool and hot tub were a GREAT bonus.

Convenient location, clean, many amenities, special requests gladly accommodated, friendly employees. Our stay was remarkable for its lack of negatives. The hotel is close to restaurants and services, but still in a quiet location with easy access and parking.

Let me start with the beds. Like rocks. Pillows the same. The breakfast not great at all. The sausages were almost watery and they were not quick to refill food. Half the time my key would not work. Maybe replace the scanners? Shower had a bad sour smell too. Empty yogurt cup by the bed. I wiped everything down but I don't think the room had been dusted in a bit. Overall improvement is needed. Usually when I stay at best Western they have super comfortable beds. I woke up so stiff and sore I couldn't stand it unlikely that I will stay here again.

I had the king jacuzzi suite. Everything was fresh and new and clean. The tub was huge! The bed was super comfortable. I was traveling and called ahead and they had the room ready for me early. The desk staff was great! I would totally recommend staying here.

had to have chemo early in the morning, so came down day before case we live hundred miles away. fi i have to come every two weeks for a treatment and i want to stay some where affordable with a good breakfast for my husband.

Pleasant nice place! Good area all on security cameras!Loved the pool and hot tub! The only upsetting thing was we requested a cash check out and they charged my credit card anyways and said it would take 4-5 days to refund and only a manager could do that which wasnt around! We would stay there again though!

"Outside and pool good, inside needs remodel"

This location is worn inside and dated, should be remodeled soon. Pool / hot tub are great. Nothing wrong with breakfast. Bed was fair to poor condition, generally surfaces are worn, needs paint. But hotel generally okay, one can get by.

We had a king and double until the room above us FLOODED our room. Was told there was only one other room and it was much smaller than what we had, then the new room had a heard of elephants above it!

We came to town for a funeral. Breakfast was ok: waffles, powdered eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, muffins, apples and bananas. This is our 2nd night and we came back around 7pm after being out all day and had not received any room service. I called for towels which were brought right up, but no apology for the missed room service. Also, the ice machine on the third floor is broken so we had to go to the first floor. The USB ports in our room didn't work.

"Good stop for work"

Stopped for one night while on business. Nice, helpful staff, clean room and a working internet. I was comfortable enough, especially considering the very reasonable rate. The fitness center isn't state of the art but you shouldn't expect that at this price point. The only hiccup for me was that the fitness center doesn't open until 7 am - way too late for those of us who work early in the morning. That was really the only "problem" I had. I'd definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very nice, clean, and quiet. The check in was easy and the requested upstairs room was perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was nice too (try the 'From the Hearth Cafe' nearby!) It was comfortable and comparable to more expensive hotels. The only thing bad I can say about it is that the breakfast was not so great... For the price it is an excellent deal!

"They rescued me!"

I arrived last Friday night with no reservation. My husband had just been taken by ambulance to a acute care facility in a Redding. When I arrived at the hotel the true desk clerks could tell that I was highly stressed, frazzled, and on the verge of tears. They immediately became my friends and family. They were so helpful, understanding, and compassionate. At the same time, there was a couple being quite vocal and demanding a free room because they didn't like the fact that the sink was separate from the bathroom! Give me a break. I am convinced that they were scam artists that have done this many times. The desk clerks at all times acted professionally and calm. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again, and I hope that the next time the circumstances will be for fun.

It was a nice stay. The rooms were fairly clean. The staff were very nice. I really like the mirrors with the square light bar around the whole mirror. The pool is heated and they have a gym room which is nice!

Even though the spa next to the pool was not hot, but warm, the jacuzzi in our room was great. The staff was wonderful, we had a grand stay. It was located right near the Sundial Bridge and the Black Bear Diner, both of which we enjoyed.

Room and bed were comfortable. Staff were professional and cheerful. Far enough off the Interstate that traffic noise wasn't an issue, but close enough to find quickly. Spouse made a note to remember this hotel when we are in the area again.

"Tight quarters but very good value"

This property is sort of off the beaten path on a side street, but it is clean and quiet, and the price is right. The staff on duty were not up to usual brand standards on this visit, but stuff happens. Room dimensions are minimal, though adequate. We'll stay here again.

"Just okay and not really anything special"

It was okay for one night but there are less expensive hotels. I honestly thought that paying a little extra would give us a cleaner and nicer place, but I was wrong. I would suggest trying somewhere else if possible. On the good side, the pool looked nice but it was super crowded in the evenings.

Generally helpful and friendly staff. "Lazy housekeeping and lazier builders"

The room I stayed in was disgusting. It looked like nothing had ever been dusted, there were greasy handprints all over, huge parts of the room had not been vacuumed and there was crumbs and wrappers between the beds and under the desk, the chair had a huge white smeared stain, and the bathtub smelled like somebody urinated in it. There were damage items like the fridge and the screen on the window, and whoever renovate the bathroom left missing tiles along the floor and a huge hole behind the shower handle that was never sealed which will just lead to mold.

"Deposit for Locals Shows Community Intent"

$200 deposit if you're local, regardless of how many times you've stayed without incident, damage or mess. In this age of information it should be easy to realize that I'm a local bringing you business. It seems simply lazy to do this to everyone every time.

Dear Christopher, Its unfortunate that we have to make the decision as a business to charge the $200 to locals and I'm sorry to have had to do this. We have had numerous occasions when we have not charged locals and have had hundred's of dollars in damages. "My favorite motel"

I have been staying at this location for over 20 years. The new management is really doing a great job in getting this place back in shape. This was not always a B.W. The staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet and the facility is freeway close to most all Redding adventures. I will be back soon.

"Great Location, with awesome pool!"

There is seriously 5 places to eat around this hotel that I could see! I didn't have to drive anywhere to get a meal. There is also a shopping center near by if you had forgot something you needed. The pool and hot tub were great! The room was very clean and the employees were very helpful and nice.

"Not a Best Western!!"

Bad Would never come here again. This is not a Best Western. Take the name off... Gives Best Western a bad name!!! I would say this was one of the worst breakfast I have ever had. Very sad... when we saw the name " Best Western". We thought it would be as good as all Best Westerns.. but it was not!

"Good service nice place good family time"

I'm a last-minute guy I was trying to find a room hour or so away from home just to get away with the kids for a night so we had a choice of Folsom 20 minutes away or Redding three hours away. We were only going to be gone one night so the drive six hours didn't sound like fun but it was good time with the kids still like she said better than a movie when we don't talk. So usually I run around last-minute throw the family together forget half the stuff and go and like usual I did this. We found two rooms for a good price that would sleep six of us and give us an in room spa plus there was a pool and spa indoors anyway and it didn't look like good weather to jump in the lake . Usually wind up spending more than we want not finding exactly what you want and spending some time arguing this time was nice every time something happened that we needed Like I'm stupid and I can't get the tub to drain Emma would gladly show up in seconds and take care of it. She was very accommodating with anything we needed like extra towels which I always need. Overall I had a five-star experience in probably like a four star hotel will be coming here again thank you Emma.

"Good price, fair digs"

The Pros--friendly staff, clean and newer rooms, large refrigerator, very nice indoor pool with vaulted wood ceiling, off the freeway so very quiet, good parking, reliable internet. The cons--sparsely appointed rooms, hot tub bubbleator not functioning, disappointing breakfast of hard boiled eggs, yogurt and tangerines with lots of breads like muffins, cereals and waffles. But no forks or spoons to eat with.

We were just staying the night on our way through to Los Angeles. It looked okay from the outside so decided to book it through hotels.com. The front desk gal was nice (the only reason for 2 stars), but the hotel itself was not good. I requested a travel crib for our room and when we got it, it was disgusting. I don't think it had ever been cleaned. We didn't use it! The place is pretty run down. The carpet in the room was stained and gross. The lighting was a mixture of warm and cold. The light at the vanity was so bright/cool light that we felt we were in an interrogation room. We didn't get much sleep.

"Works for a night"

Due to bad weather had to stay here for a night. Most places in the area are quite pricey so I elected a "middle of the road" type of place. Pros: veryyyyy friendly staff, pool and workout room seemed okay but I didnt use it. Location is pretty good and near food. Cons: stains everywhere. I didnt get the vibe it was dirty per say, just stains, but everything needs replaced. Bed sheet had holes, curtain had brown stains and the carpet looked like it needed replacement five years ago. Overall: it works if you just need it for a night.

"Horrible place"

Almost had to stay here in a last minute stay due to weather. This place was horrible, disgusting and unsafe. The door to the room had a broken lock, there were stains and it smelled of piss and stale smoke. Pictures attached, it was aweful, we left and found another hotel and paid more for that instead.
