Je m’inscris The hotel was clean and comfortable. There was no "musty" smell, as is frequent in some hotels. The staff was responsive. The breakfast had a good variety of items, including hot waffles. The central location made it easy to get anywhere in St. Louis. I would definitely stay there again.
There were actual house roaches in the room and the cleanliness was nasty. Dirt was caked in the ceiling and cobwebs with brown recluses were present. At 9:30 am, the maid did not knock but instead proceeded in the room to clean it. There was no apology for the mishap. It was not a great experience.
Very clean and staff was friendly, Location was good. It was an easy off and back on to the interstate Nice breakfast choices. Just be cautious when entering guest room bathroom. The tile is higher than the entrance way flooring. We will stop next time we drive through.
I rated 3 stars because there were a lot of little things that just added up to a "likely won't return" visit. Cons: 1--The moment we walked into our room it was hot. The AC would not turn on and when I tried to call the front desk, the phone wasn't working. We walked down to the desk and waited in the 80° lobby for maintenance to show up. It took him about 5 minutes to fix the problem, but at least a half hour for it to start to cool down in the room. 2-- The mirrored light over the sink wasn't working. 3--The pool is outside and I think sediment got into it. There were tiny gravelly pieces both on the bottom and some floating in the water. My son got a terrible rash once we got out of the water. 4-- The shower curtain had mold, the bottom of the shower was slippery and had dried paint on it and the shower head leaked. 5--Breakfast was mediocre at best. No milk, no orange juice, coffee was bland, cereal was stale, waffles stuck to the maker. Pros: 1--The beds were comfortable, although the pillows were light on the fluff (as are most hotels). 2-- You could tell they tried to update and make things look nice and modern. 3--The night stand had plenty of outlets and USB ports. It was an ok stay, we're from the area and only need one night for home repairs. Just too many important things added up in the cons to add more stars.
front desk girl was horrible. Did not give a crap. Did not want to help my family at all. She made me check out on a friday morning and then check back in 7 hours later. She could have easily fix it but she was selfish lazy and if she reads this she needs to know she's not all that! She'll never amount to anything. This family will have to sell this hotel, Their customer service is horrible
I had a quoted rate of $125 for a king room. When I checked in the clerk showed me a rate of $184.43. I told her that was incorrect and showed her the reservation rate on my phone. She said sorry they would credit me $57.60. We went to the room. It was not a king. It was two queens. Near the window was a pile of folded up toilet paper and something that looked like wine stains from a spill on the floor, in another corner of the room some plastic and other garbage from one of the garbage cans on the floor. We needed to be at an affair so I notified the desk. They said they would clean it. When we returned three hours later the room had been cleaned up, but it was musty and humid. The reason was the air conditioner wasn't working, so I went back down to the desk. There was no one there. I went outside near the pool and found the desk click talking on the phone. She came in with me and set me up in another room. So we transferred our luggage and personal items to that room. In the morning we had the breakfast which was the usual except they weren't keeping their trays full. No one around, we ate dried scrambled eggs, and a waffle. When I got home I was emailed a folio of my charges which made no sense at all. I checked my credit card account and realize they had billed me for the $184.43 , credited me for the $57.60, and then recharged the $57.60. I wouldn't go anywhere near this hotel again again, and of course now I'm going to have to dispute the charge. Buyer beware!
Competetively priced BW+ in a convenient location to restaurants and highway. We come from the north and stay here for STL Cardinal games. Not close to stadium but handy for us. No highway noise. Quiet clientele. Our rooms have been clean with solid flooring in rooms rather than carpet. Firm, comfortable beds. Small bathroom. One elevator for four story hotel.
Hotel was okay for the price. Shower had almost no water pressure and we found stains on our comforter. The breakfast was ok but the coffee had grounds in it. There was a dog barking loudly down the hall from us, but staff handled it well when we reported it to them.
Quick and efficient. Friendly and busy!! Very convenient location . Friendly checkin and quality comfort……………. This post requires 200 words and I don't think I need to add anymore so I've only have 50 more to go. Very convenient location, friendly and busy.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, but only after waiting almost 3 hours to get checked in. 6:03pm to be exact. Front desk staff was unfriendly and uncaring that our rooms were not ready at checkin time. “You're just going to have to wait” was the response we received. No other hotels in the area had availability or we would have gone elsewhere.
The pillows and the bed were super comfy. Staff very nice and pleasant. Inquiring about my visit, how im doing, etc. Room as well as the rest of the hotel was clean and well stocked! Definitely recommend staying here as I will do on my next visit to St Louis!l.
Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Laundry rooms were all out of order. That and no breakfast on Sunday was the only minor issue. 9 out of 10 was my overall experience. Would recommend
The room was very spacious very clean showerhead had a lot of pressure The outside was very clean plenty of parking plenty of restaurants in the area convenient store across the street. Would like coffee late at night and a breakfast area. bed was very comfortable very quiet area
My Mom had to have a procedure not far from the hotel. I read reviews. I called the customer service line on their website. The guy I talked to was awesome. Told him what I needed, 2 rooms close together for me and my elderly Mom & sister. He gave me my member discount on both room. The young girl and guy at the front desk were so helpful. The young girl gave my Mom a sticky note as we checked out wishing her a speedy recovery. The young man helped hold the door and elevator a few times as we were coming in. The rooms were awesome. Very updated and comfortable. Parking was right up to the hotel. Nice safe area. Gas station across the street. Restaurants near by. Free breakfast. I would definitely stay here again if I was in this area. Thanks Best Western for making our stay a pleasant stay. Also so many strangers came and helped us with my Mom. She has a walker and oxygen so it was a big help that they gave. Nice friendly people.
The room was very clean and comfortable. Alisha at tye front desk was so sweet...we will stay there again when we come back to see family in St Louis. The area where they serve Breafast is small and not a lot of places to seat. So we did not do breakfast there.
My room was switched 4 times. First room smelled like smoke. Second room had no bedding. Third room there was beer and wet towels and not sure if there were people in the room. Back to the third room where I sat and watched as they cleaned the room because it had not actually been cleaned when I got the room the first time. I drove 4.5 hours for this and the I have not heard from the manager. Got here a little after 3 got in the room at 7.
A great stay excellent staff with a great breakfast with many choices. The clerk at the front desk was friendly, fast and efficient a credit to the hotel. Housekeeping was attentive and solved my slight issue at check in. I plan to stay again in the near future
Great stay. I stayed here 5 days. The room was clean and had small shampoo and soap plus 4 towels. I stayed in a queen with 2 beds. There was a nice comfy chair and small table plus a desk with a desk chair. The check-in was quick and the staff was nice. I would definitely stay here again.
This was our second stay at this hotel. The location is very convenient for the events we were here for. We really like this hotel. We were put in a very quiet corner, which was fantastic, and so peaceful. The staff was great. The breakfast was good for a hot breakfast. We would come back to this one again.
the guest room was not cleaned when I checked it was very late so I didn't feel like complaining at 10:00 pm. Desk, end tables had obvious smudges and debris from previous guest. Long strands of hair in shower on bathroom walls. Disappointing.
Sam at the front desk is always friendly and helpful!! Rooms are clean and cold AC! I stay here frequently for business and they are so friendly no matter what time I check in. The breakfast is basic hotel fare, ………………………………………………………………………!
I am write this review with sincerity. I am person who rarely complains and try to make the best of anything and everything! I am writing this for the sake of others that it would help you with making the decision to stay at this hotel. This is all factual information. Please take this in consideration if you decide to stay at this hotel. I ATTACHED A FEW PHOTOS. IT WAS MORE PHOTOS THAN WHAT I SHARED-Just a sample. Well, you get what you pay for. The location is great. This hotel has so much potential but it was awful. The room was very dirty. The comforter and sheets on one bed were dirty and stained. I went to ask for them to come change the bedding and it took almost 2 1/2 hours for them to do so. The towels were stained. The door to the room would not shut properly-as the bathroom door as well. That was very concerning for safety reasons. The shower/tub area was a hot mess! Shower did not work properly-the knob that you pull up for the shower was about to come out the wall! The water ran as the shower was going! The drain in the shower was broken. Tub area was highly stained. The toilet was extremely dirty. The breakfast was unsanitary-very unorganized. The coffee machine did not work properly. THE POOL WAS EXTREMELY DIRTY! When we were checking out on Thursday, they had to shut the pool down. Very disappointing. All the dogs and unruly people staying there made it even worse. Had to smell marijuana the entire time. It was an awful experience thus far.
My husband and I stayed here one night. My husband couldn't understand the Receptionist English dialect/accent which caused the receptionist to get a little frustrated because she had to repeat her words. She gave us a room next to the exit door, each and every time someone enters or exit the door, it slams. The sheets and towels are white so you're able see that they were dirty, hair in the bed and large towels were dirty. We bring our sheets/covers to prevent complaining to staff (because you shouldn't have to). This really helped on this visit. The staff is not cleaning these rooms, if it looks neat and clean, they just refix bedding. The fees are outrages: the room advertises for 99.00 but after fee's are added its damn near 150.00.
Receptionist were great. Rude cleaning staff. Only 1 elevator in 4 story building. Great location. Restaurants and stores very close to hotel.
The young gal who checked us in was very unfriendly and seemed in a hurry to get us out of her way. Other than that, our stay was great! The breakfast was better than most other hotels. We found the area to have plenty of options for evening snacking and such...Andy's Frozen Custard....and try out Ethio Coffee for a wonderful place to get coffee before leaving town!
We travel with a small service dog and a support dog. This BW is always welcoming. This time we were given a magnet to post on the door “pet in room.”
This was an amazing value, great breakfast spread. Clean rooms and friendly staff will definitely be staying at this hotel next trip to St Louis
The front desk was friendly. The room clean with a great shower. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast tasted good and great variety for a hotel breakfast, but when busy the staff is very slow at refilling items and you need to ask for refills. They say 5 minutes but mean 25 minutes. And on the 2nd day they were out of several items. This was the only disappointing part of our stay.
Wifi doesn't work well. Lied to me about it working when I checked in. Hard time getting refunded....
First and foremost, the staff deserves a special mention, particularly Daisy and Eve. Friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. The rooms, while budget-friendly, were clean, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials one would need for a comfortable stay. Despite being a budget hotel, I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to detail and the effort put into maintaining cleanliness and comfort. Overall, Best Western Plus - Westport offers exceptional value for money without compromising on quality or service. Whether you're a solo traveler on a budget or a family looking for affordable accommodation without sacrificing comfort, I highly recommend giving Budget Hotel Haven a try.
I will plan on staying here if the need arises. We were visiting BJH a family member was in TCCI. I was nice to know we had a great place to stay when needed.
The internet also has this named ' Best Western Plus St. Louis West-Westport'. Finding a budget hotel that doesn't have reviews of being dirty, smelly, having rude employees, etc. is getting hard to find. I can't figure out why. We hear in the news that people are traveling more than ever, yet so many innkeepers are not taking care of their properties. Not the case here at all. When pulling up to the building, you can see they take pride in their business. It's clean, the landscaping has been maintained and it just looks like a nice place. Inside, everything has been updated. The lobby, breakfast area and rooms are wonderful - and spotless. Our room could not have been more quiet and the bed was as comfy as could be. And the light breakfast that is included is a notch above as they not only offered the usual waffles, cereals, bagels, toast, fruits, yogurt and such, they had an island with hot foods in chafing dishes. Scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy and probably bacon and/or sausage, but they ran out of these as we got there late. We really enjoyed our stay there and recommend them for sure. No complaints, no negatives, no reasons to not stay here again.
I came to St Louis on business for 5 days and stay at this best Western plus. Our stay was great the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was OK but I wish the coffee was better. My only problem was that they never empty the trash. We had to bring our own trash out. I asked for trash bags at the front desk, but they didn't have any, I had to buy some. Other than that my stay was great.
Great hotel. Bed was firm but soft, perfect for us. Towels were great. Pillows comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Daisy checked us in and was very efficient and caring.
Front Staff is kind. (Daisy) & nice breakfast. Once I stay, very clean floor & fluffy pillow, firm bed, McDonald k-cups for coffee, Etc. I'm diamond select member and I have a unforgettable one night experience ever. I hope to be come back again this best best western plus.
Super great receptionist, made accommodations for my mom's disability (happily without me really asking) great rates, pet friendly. Room was very clean, restroom was beautiful marble tile. Door dash options were phenomenal. Well located for a hospital visit.
Daisy was a delight. Wonderful smile and great service. Very eager to help. Beds are comfortable and the rooms were spacious. Not a lot of noise from outside either which is always GREAT. Keeping going so I can reach the max characters. It won't let
Ashley checked me out, greeted me with a smile, and was extremely friendly. A great way to start out my morning! The room was clean, they had a good fitness room equipped with treadmills as well as free weights. They offered a nice breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy among their hot items. I had a great stay!
This is a great hotel to stay at one of the workers here Sam is very helpful with everything he's always looking out to help you 10 out of 10 hotel experience the food here is the best I have ever tried the location and the surrounding areas have been the best for our stay. We love it here we come here weekly for work meeting. The guys never had an issue. and the staff is friendly
Amazing customer service 10 out of 10 recommend every day of the week this person has so much patience with us at times. He is truly ever professional if any questions he is always willing to help anytime of the day. He's a really great person recommend him for any job.
I can say the beds were comfortable and the pillows good. The staff would come in once a day and replace towels, empty the garbage. No refilling the coffee pods, makeup wipes, shampoo, etc. We stayed 4 nights and had to go in search of needed items. Of course, no making of beds. It rained and leaked considerably through the window. Had to leave a bath towel under the window to soak up the rain. The air conditioner ran constantly. Was no way to turn it down or off so put another bath towel over the units vents. And then there was the breakfast - a diaster. Staff was not willing to put food out. Ran from 6:30 - 9:30. Sports teams in the building so athletes were eating. Coffee was always out. No decaff. offered. Put 3 bagels out, when gone, gone. One day had yogurt, never again. Would make biscuits and gravy, but no gravy. Trash bins overflowing, not emptied from day before. And the list goes on and on. And even though people were trying to finish up their breakfast, staff would shut lights off and take away food as fast as they could. Only one elevator, and slow. Garbage left on floors. Website says pool but only works in summer. No hottub. But, I gave an average score as the beds were good.
The room was nice and the pillows and sheets were soft. However, the breakfast was eh. It was nothing special and the just the same food both days. The bagels had no cream cheese to go with them for some reason and the milk seemed expired this morning (03/17). Other than that everything was fine. Enjoyed the little decorations for st. patrick's day ☘️
It was very clean, great customer service, nice gym, clean, fresh towels everyday, hot breakfast every morning,a lot of food places within walking distance, safe and secure parking,no loitering around the property!!!!!!!
Easy access to the freeway, kind staff, safe, comfortable, affordable, and clean stay. I am a private driver out of the Kansas City area and booked this hotel as a resting place from a commute from Rockford Illinois to Kansas City. I definitely will be booking again as I travel to this area oftener
BW on Dorsett Rd is a very nice, very well-maintained hotel that is amazingly quiet given that it is on a busy street. The staff is excellent, and the breakfast selection and quality are very good. I would recommend it highly.
We visited this hotel a couple of times this year. Since we're BW Platinum Members, we usually get an enhanced check-in (complimentary water/beverages/snacks/etc), but this time we did not. Are primary reason we chose this hotel is because it was close to our dinner destination, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse. Overall, good experience.
Stayed for one night with my family on a road trip from Chicago to OKC. The bedroom size is rather small. The room is clean and it has comfortable bed. Hot breakfast was served. Good quality of food and beverage choices. Free and ample size of parking lot. Receptionist was helpful during check-in and check-out. Internet speed was very fast.
I've stayed here 3 (partial) weeks in a row... different floors each time. Good: Rooms have been clean each stay... TV pretty good... AC sufficient. Bad: One room took 5 minutes to get hot water each time... room on ground floor had no latch/lock on window (anyone could open window and climb in, day or night)... breakfasts were poor, overall ("scrambled" eggs were tasteless and sitting in water... no yogurt or fresh fruit most days... etc.)... some staff were pleasant, but some (especially at breakfasts) were rude to guests (on multiple occasions)... some ice machines didn't work... had a barking dog in room next door... keys didn't work on outside doors or on room locks (occasionally).... Didn't use the pool or exercise room, but saw some folks doing so. I have stayed at this property a few times over the past 3-4 years and it's taken a turn for the worse in the last year or two.
We have other hotel groups that we usually stay when necessary. We haven't stayed at a Best Western for over 40 years. This place was immaculate, friendly staff, promptness on addressing and rectifying any issues.
Horrible not clean I saw spiders in the room. Breakfast lady was very rude. Smelled bad in the hallways and pool was not clean at all. Very disappointing of it all . Never going back there they need more cleaning
It was an okay stay, the halls smelled like cigarette, as well as it was a dated hotel. Staff was okay, and the amenities were limited. In the morning there was no breakfast and that was disappointing.
The hotel lobby and halls were clean. The staff friendly, but extremely limited on communication in English. The housekeepers were very accommodating. They were hard to communicate with though. Our keys kept needing to be rekeyed. Unless you pulled on your door when leaving it wouldn't lock. One time, upon returning, we found it unlocked after housekeeping had been in there. Our room was ok. Usual dust in corners. But the vent in the bathroom was very dirty inside and a screw was so loose the vent pulled away from the ceiling on one side. Food was adequate but limited. One day there was no hot food. Supposedly, something in kitchen was broke. There was a crew of 3 people who cleaned our room. 2 men and a woman. Although there was a language barrier I felt they did their best to accommodate us. Main complaint was time pool closed, if you worked into the evening, by the time you had dinner and got to the room, and took a shower as generally requested before a swim. the pool was almost closing or closed. All in all, I would stay here again.
The hotel was very clean and beautifully redecorated. Not able to use elevator after housekeeping staff exited. Body odor was horrendous. Even 4 hours later the smell lingered. Decided not to use breakfast because of that. When we checked out the desk was manned by 2 girls that didn't even appear to be in their teens.
Couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! We didn't get in until past midnight (after a chaotic day of our cross country travels), and the front desk staff was beyond kind and accommodating. The lobby, room, and bathroom were all clean, the breakfast was delicious in the morning, and I felt very safe parking there! Definitely would stay here again :)
Paul was amazing and the manager was very helpful. Clean room and clean breakfast. The staff was friendly and did a great job problem solving. Great gas station close by and easy access to the highway
Very clean, very nice staff!! Decent price, great location, has a nice pool, and a nice complimentary breakfast. I would highly recommend if you're ever visiting, or in need of a room for a couple days!
We have our choice of three BW+ in this area - Westport, St. Charles and Airport. Airport is the snazziest and priciest. It does have an indoor pool with easy access for one of our group. After that we shop price. Westport is clean and quiet although from parking lot it appears full on our visits. Small lobby (4 chairs and long high table). Only one elevator. Outdoor pool. We go to Gingham's for $5.99 breakfast and have not eaten hotel breakfast. Like most BW+ rooms are dark with poor lighting. Has refrigerator, microwave, good desk and desk chair.
Stayed here while in St. Louis on business. My room was clean and satisfactory for a few nights' stay. This hotel appears to be an older place but recently renovated. My main issue was the elevator, which seems to be on its last legs. It actually broke down once during my stay. The breakfast area is also a little small. The immediate vicinity doesn't have too many restaurants or other amenities, but the close access to I-270 alleviates this lack.
My wife, two teenagers and I stayed one night after a Cardinals game. We booked a room with two queen beds but got one king. They had no other rooms and blamed Expedia for overbooking. My teenagers slept on a cot and the floor. I got a $40 discount.
This stay was an actual nightmare. First room there was a pile of something by the door that tracked into the room. 2nd room the AC unit didn't work, 3rd room- there was 3 piles of poop under the bed! (I do have photo proof.) The person at the front desk was nice. But I was only offered a 30% discount for all of that. Then She stated that she wasn't surprised that any of that happened. Bc she knew people didn't clean properly. I talked to the manager that was and sat on his office chair- with his legs crossed, and his shoes off! After all of that I definitely wasn't about to eat the food there.
This place was better than we'd anticipated (based on a quick look at online reviews). Clean, solid decor, decently comfy bed, quick WiFi, functional in-room utilities, quiet, breakfast offered in the AM, AND pets are allowed (with doggie bags available outside). No real complaints! Was perfect for our quick overnight stay :)
There were cockroaches in the room & nobody would do anything. It was always "I will let my manager know in the morning or I will have them contact you." I never had any resolution & had full grown cockroaches crawling out from under the desk the day I was checking out & packing up.
Always a plus when you stay without having to think about the stay. Very smooth process, especially for a walk in without reservation. Well done to the evening crew for a smooth check in and direction on where to park in relation to the room and exits. Much appreciated!
We received no assitance in regards to internet usage, therefore, any research as to activities to so in St Louis was unavailable, went looking for informational pamphlets about activities, this hotel had none, even asked at the front desk. They said no, we don't have them.
Excellent friendly staff. Clean room, hot shower & comfortable bed! Convenient location and plenty of parking! Gas station conveniently located across the street. We could not of asked for a better experience!
Clean hotel with excellent staff and accommodations Breakfast was served good and staffed properly. Entire staff were excellent and made sure that you were completely satisfied with your stay. Location of the hotel was easy in and out.
The staff is amazing, friendly, professional and accommodating and each staff member was dressed professionally. I am very selective about were I stay at. The hotel is clean, quiet and the beds are comfy and it was nice to walk into a clean fresh and warm cozy room.. Good hot fresh selection on the breakfast buffet, cereal, danish and the attendant was very intensive on keeping the area clean.. A few eating places near by Bandanna BBQ, QTrip, Taco Bell and the Chinese Wok across the street has good food prices reasonable. I hate Lo Mein Noodles because of the greasiness, but there's was great.. no grease at all..
Hospitality was great. I had a problem with the remote and the front desk was on top of it. New batteries did not work. The front desk offered to change the room if changing the remote did not work. You know how important it is to have a working tv in the room with children. The new remote worked.
First two rooms I went in were filthy and then there were my finally get smells like piss the staff was a little different and also a little rude just letting me know that I better not be smoking in that room or he'd be charging my card after I stated that I would never smoke in that room. Also felt very confused of how to identify the gender of the person and I'm not being rude I just didn't know the name text says Eve however it was obvious not just even I just felt ridiculous when I said him out of nature and I just felt very uncomfortable
Front guest staff, especially Eve, made my stay extra special. Rooms are nicely remodeled. Very comfortable beds. Nice hot tasty breakfast. Great location. I will use the gym when I return. Wish the coffee was a bit stronger.
So, we have stayed at his property before it became Best Western Plus. The renovations are nice, but I can't say that for a lot of the other things in the hotel. Or say Most of the employees don't speak or say they don't speak or understand English. which was really frustrating. Our daughter was attacked by a little dog that seemed to be extremely noisy at during our entire 4 day stay. All we could hear is constant barking from this animal and the lady sitting with the animal seemed to have no control over it or she just didn't care because she was preoccupied with her own loud noise of some loud music she was listening to on her laptop. This little dog made it extremely hard for us to talk with the employees at the desk or even when we were trying to talk on our phones or with other people. One of the employees always went over and beyond to explain things to us and to help us when needed. It was just a really bad inconvenience with the constant barking of this little dog and the staff seemed to allow the dog and the owner to do whatever they wanted. Very bad business decision to allow that type of disturbance while trying to handle business. My daughter is still talking about the incident with the dog running up on her and barking and snapping at her feet while nobody at the desk or the owner I guess did anything at all. We also watched the animal urinate all over the place and the owner just let it and didn't even clean up after the animal. My concern was thinking what if somebody slipped or fell due to this animal bad training habits? Then one or two evenings we watched the same lady who claimed the dog was hers cut up dog food on the same counter they served us breakfast and didn't even clean up behind herself. I really understand trying to be accommodating, but this was utterly ridiculous. We had to ask for them to move our room because all we could hear is this dog barking all night past what most places would call quiet time. Beautiful Hotel but ugly environment. Alot of rude employees at the desk and at breakfast time and not enough employees that we could communicate with due to the language barrier. Only good thing about our stay is when we finally left and headed to our next destination .
Overall the hotel was OK, I don't know who the lady is at night with the Yorkie, but it bark several times durning the night. This dog was down in the lobby and it clearly disturb my sleep on numerous occasion. The hotel could use some internal cleaning. I could smell garlic smell first thing in the morning coming from the kitchen this had me nausea. I can not imagine what they were using that for while cooking breakfast. I almost forgot, the half gallon of milk use for your cereal, that has to be most unsafe. With all the crazy people, all containers like that should be individual to make sure nothing is added to it.
A great place to stay while traveling. The people are engaged, attentive, friendly, and helpful. The place is clean and the bed provides for a good night's rest. Another great BW for the weary traveler.
Eventhough they were extremely busy and had several different groups there they were able to accommodate everyone and still run smoothly! Breakfast was yummy, fast and easy. Plenty to eat. Staff very friendly and helpful. Up to date, very clean and has upscale feel!
Chose this as the most affordable option for an unexpected, turn-around trip with my parents. We stayed two nights. Rooms were clean and included comfortable beds, a good-sized fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a tv with numerous channel options. Free breakfast and an accomodating, friendly staff was a plus. The pool was closed as it was outdoors and it was out of season, but they do have one. Workout room was not the top of the line but had what was needed for maintaining your workout schedule. Hotel sits right off 270 with convenient access to several food options and a QuikTrip for gas and snacks right across the street. I am a self-proclaimed hotel snob and I was comfortable there and would stay again. It was not the Ritz, but it was the most bang for my buck.
The hotel was very nice pretty clean overall but, our room the floors had clearly not been mopped, the bed was super hard and uncomfortable and the breakfast (while they did try to do something different) the gravy for biscuits and gravy was seasoned weird and not good and the sausage and omelet were not great and all of it was cold. The staff was very nice but they need to fix a few things.
This seems like a newly built facility, but it has some of the old problems many are facing in today's climate. Pros: The check-in was nice, and the room was clean. Breakfast was good and the area was kept clean. Cons: Our room was not cleaned the next day. The GM said it was because lack of staff. The ice maker on the 4th floor was inoperable and dirty (black dirt on top.) The hallways could use a good vacuuming. The fitness room needs attention. No hand sanitizer, no wipes to wipe down machines after each use, water cooler did not work, a used Gatorade bottle was left on the floor. Dirty. Upon check-out we wanted to use the luggage rack, but the only one available was being used by housekeeping to carry supplies. Front door of facility should regularly be wiped down. Full of prints. Would recommend staff informing guests that their room may not be cleaned on a daily basis due to staff shortages.
Rooms were clean and modern, everything in working order. Front desk staff helpful and professional. My friend and son and I all had a good time and were very happy with our stay here. Will stay here again when in St. Louis area.
The building is an old Drury Inn and built with concrete instead of wood so you know you won't hear your neighbors next door or above you. The room was newly remodeled, clean and very quiet. I didn't have the breakfast but it looked good with a full dining room like a typical Drury.
My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel when we were in town to visit a family member in the area. The hotel itself was very nice. Our pros: Our room had a nice comfortable bed, modern work table, a touch lamp, a Keurig coffee maker ( nice touch--Thank you!) larger refrigerator ( Thank you!) and a microwave. Also had nice anementies: Citrus scented soap, lotion , shampoo and conditioner- Very calming scent which was not overbearing. Also liked the fact that there were cameras throughout the building. Good water pressure in the shower. Like the area, which had a gas station across the street and several restaurants and a store nearby. Good reception for the WIFI. Our cons: ( some of this may be nitpicky, but here goes: 1. coffee or lack thereof in the breakfast area. Maybe it just needing refilling, but none was available when I checked. 2. Breakfast: Appreciated, but it was " just ok" to me. Would have liked to have some scrambled eggs and not the boiled eggs. Cereals -several were avaialble, but didn't care for the fact that there was no milk dispenser but rather a gallon of milk was in the counter fridge along with yogurt. I somewhat question the sanitariness of this in a way, but it is ones own option whether they want to have milk or not. 3. TV remote: There is not a listing of channels in the room, but they have cable and there is a channel guide on there, but you have to scroll many many many channels to get to it . Remote was hard to use and slow, Could not type in the channel number. Have to scroll through over 50 + channels to " find" the one you want. Also you have to aim the remote exactly at the bottom center of the tv for it to work. This was definitely a source of frustration. 4. Last, this may also be nitpicky but here goes: The first three numbers of the hotel's direct phone number starts with the " triple sixes", which may be off putting to some for various reasons. This may seem silly, but is something worth mentioning, especially if this is something that makes one skittish. Overall , we had a good stay and was very pleased with the hotel and the location.
Helpful staff and very clean hotel! We had an issue with our booking app and they walked us through it and helped us make sure we weren't going to be charged twice! We had another couple with us they moved our rooms to a conjoining room with them which was neat!!
Dirty sheets, smelly towels, room was falling apart. Night staff did not care to fix issues and day manager was nonchalant and asked if I was sure my room was dirty. Wasn't a terrible experience based on what I paid but very underwhelmed with the lack of cleanliness and customer service. Definitely leaves something to be desired
Staff very unfriendly. Horrible greasy breakfast. I disappointment for a Best Western. I will NOT stay here again not worth the money. The staff spent more ti e on their phones then at their jobs. Yuck
They put us to a room that had a cracked screen tv. When we informed the front desk about it, they said they will fix. But they never fix it. We talked to 3-4 different front desk people and still the tv didn't fix so we were watching a show on a cracked screen. We checked out after 4 days and 3 nights and the tv didn't get fixed. What is even more frustrating is that they charged us for the tv that we didn't break. It was aggravating l having to let them know everyday of our stay there that our tv was broken. So watch out for this hotel, you'll need to check the room first to see if something is broken and report it to them immediately. I feel that it is every guest responsibility to check the room first to make sure nothing is broke. Otherwise, you will be charged for things that's broken that's in the room. My family had a bad experience with this hotel. They are not taking care of their guests. The breakfast was awesome though.
This hotel is either new or newly renovated. We stayed in a king room that was spotless and well-appointed. Everything worked, including the coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator and hairdryer. The AC was cold. The bed was comfortable as were the bed linens. I loved that the floors were luxury vinyl and not carpet. The bathroom with shower and tub was small, but quite adequate and very clean. The staff were cordial and responsive. As far as rooms in this area go, this was cheap at $103, including fees and taxes. It is convenient to the BJC Hospital West campus. I highly recommend the Best Western.
After 9 hours on the highway from TX, we were more than ready to rest. Mina, at the front desk, was expertly & professionally handling an angry guest. Then, she courteously checked us in with a friendly smile. Our room was comfortable & had much more room than the Tru Hilton we stayed in last month for a similar price. The bathroom doesn't have the long counter I like, BUT…check out the pics! Granite flooring & countertop, plus ceramic tile in the shower surround. The shower itself was a peaceful dream. Take notes Aloft & Tru Hilton! The bed was welcoming & my spouse was able to work comfortably. The pet fee was an add'l $10/night for our doggie & the location is close to the interstate. Hot breakfast was also a welcome site, offering biscuits, eggs, & meat choices! This will be our spot whenever we come to the STL.
Excellent location for visiting with our children who live in the area. Our room was very clean, bed was wonderful, disappointed in the breakfast options and the breakfast area however, everything else was great!
After being on the road over seven hours, I was tired, grumpy, and would have settled for anything. We walked into warm, welcoming lobby that had more of a cafe feel…so welcoming! The staff was happy and friendly! She was very helpful! We had two rooms, and she had been trying to find two rooms close to each other. One room was a handicap accessible room.
Hotel was very accommodating. Our first stay was awesome literally had room service daily (without having to ask for it), new towels daily etc. I was displaced from the MO flooding and we had to check out due to my under booking of the room and we went elsewhere but came back for a second stay a few days later and it wasn't exactly as awesome but not horribly bad either. So if you need someplace affordable and clean in Maryland heights this is a good spot
Watch your surroundings. Slow to little or no internet services. A/C shuts off at night, making it a hot and not so comfortable night sleep. Bed & pillows weren't too bad for comfort, except no A/C at night!
The hotel itself was nice enough. Although the price did fluctuate. My autistic nephew and I were asked to leave after paying $127 a couple of hours previously. He did go in the pool without permission and hit me after a car accident that left glass in the water because he was told the pool would be clean later that afternoon and ordered to get him out. I can understand getting him out of the pool but when people lied to him he remembers and takes his anger out on me. He hit me in the room and threatened to break some things which I was able to stop but with injury to myself. I understand the disturbance and even the fact that they asked us to leave after taking the money. But I demand that my $127 be returned to me because this is unethical and they knew that he had a tendency to act out. I will dispute it but in order to do so they will have to cancel my card and replace it again. I am very angry at these tactics because it is unethical.
Reasonably priced, room was clean and my stay was quiet. The staff was nice and the breakfast was actually really good. Conveniently located as well, quiktrip across the street, great food and drink all within like a 5 minute drive.
Newly remodeled and very clean. The rooms are not large, but if you aren't planning to spend a lot of time in your room, you'll be fine. Pool area was nice and clean, but had to be closed during our stay because somehow a car drove into it! Not at all the property's fault. We were worried because one of the nights of our stay, the hotel was filled with people going to a local concert…however, we did not hear them return at all. Overall great value for the price, especially how clean it is. They allow pets, but we didn't see any evidence of pet hair in the common areas.
This is a very nice hotel right off the highway. The room was clean and nice and we had no issues with anything. The breakfast had many different hot and cold options to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.
Pros Rooms had plenty of space, Hotel in good location Kids loved the pool Cons Hotel needs upgrades big time Breakfast was ok, but very little variety day to day No fans in bathrooms, kinda surprising in Alabama
The facilities looked great. A modern renovated look with many amenities but a disappointing response from staff for a simple item made the place less appealing. Travelling with young children, we decided to splurge and get the suite. When it was time to give our kids a bath, one we noticed was missing, the screw top bathtub stopper. We looked to see if there is a rubber one tucked away in the shelves or around the sink area but nothing was found. I went down to the front desk to see if their maintenance team would have one or even a rubber stopper so we could give our children a bath. I was quickly told no. No explanation, no suggestion for an alternative solution, an no apology. I returned to our suite less enthusiastic and began having buyers remorse at booking this Best Western facility. We ended up plugging the drain with a towel so we can give our baby and toddler a bath.
Our family of eight was traveling through the St. Louis area in route to Colorado for a family reunion and we decided to book two rooms here for an overnight stay to rest. The evening front desk staff was exceptional. She was knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and everything was in working order. The breakfast was wonderful. All of the items were hot and delicious. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. The check in/out process was quick and easy. The price and value were extremely reasonable compared to the surrounding area. We enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Maryland Heights Team :-)
Our stay was very good and the kitchen staff, cleaning staff, and front desk staff were exceptional. Our room was clean with plenty of towels, a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board, and lots of lighting. Our bed felt amazing! Breakfast had scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, cereal just to name a few. There are plenty of places to walk to since the hotel is close to several restaurants and retail businesses. Our room didn't have a telephone and we had to get a new TV remote but the stay went very well in spite of those obstacles.
Room was nice but, no bathroom fan. Pool was closed (unwarned). Only one working ice machine in building. Poor breakfast. Only one 12-cup pot of coffee for very large group of adults. “Scrambled eggs” were cold minced boiled eggs. Only one elevator.
Angela was an excellent Hostess. She made sure that breakfast was hot and everything was full hot and ready to be served onto the plate . Coffee was always full and hot. The place was clean and all my questions were answered promptly and accurately. Angela made my breakfast experience and excellent one.
Let me start by saying this hotel just opened back up after remodel. It is realitivly clean. We were here over night. Our room temperature never got below 77 degrees and was mostly 80. We called maintenance around 11:00 pm, they responded quickly, but failed to fix issue Then there is breakfast or should I say the lack there of. Was told we just decided not to offer it today. To top things off, all had was little dry pkgs of creamer. Coffee is better at QT a cross the street. Needless to say...WON'T BE BACK. I expect more from BW!
First thing is Ms. Raven was extremely helpful with my reservation when I got to the hotel my reservation was not in the computer has it was suppose to be . Ms Raven was able to rectify my situation and gave me beautiful room on the 4 floor with king size bed everything in the room was cozy I have no complains thank to you Ms. Raven you did a fantastic job. thank to Priceline for helping me book the hotel i have a wonderful stay
The room was up to Best Western standards. The first room was not cleaned when I opened the door but the desk got us another room on the same floor. Apologizing that had been having employee issues.. No harm.
This is the former Drury Inn right off of I-270 and next to Edward Jones campus. The hotel is a little dated, but the room was clean and quiet. And reasonably priced. However....... 1) First room I was given smelled like smoke (in a non-smoking hotel). They were unaware of this. How is that possible? Doesn't housekeeping clean the rooms and smell smoke? 2) Breakfast "bag" is OK, nothing exceptional, but I've had worse. A few more choices (fruit, for example) would be nice. 3) No coffee in the lobby. That's ridiculous. What hotel, especially with travel down dramatically, doesn't have coffee available in the lobby 24/7 (or, at least all morning). 4) Biggest concern is no Covid-19 protocol. Front desk person checking me in didn't wear a mask. Maintenance person didn't wear a mask. No one made the guests in the lobby put on a mask. "Corporate" says all staff must wear masks. Apparently, Corporate sent a "memo" but I guess staff is on their own to follow the guidelines/rules. Don't believe the website saying that they take guests' safety seriously.... doesn't appear that way. I may give a SureStay Plus another chance somewhere, but I won't be back to this property. No masks, no business...
I was surprised to see a hotel that is clean, well maintained, great service but not expensive. Check in was fast, room was clean and beds comfortable. Talked to the manager and he said they are converting it to Best Western Plus. I recommend this hotel to everyone.
I have been a very loyal BW customer over the years since 2013. They have one of the best rewards programs. My only complaint would be the gap in time from stay to $25 gift reward. I usually stay several night before the award arrives via email. This process needs to be more streamlined so you can use rewards for every subsequent stays in the future. This hotel location is great for access to highways, restaurants, and airport.
We were not told ahead of arrival that the breakfast buffet is not available at this time. A sack breakfast was available for a substitute, which would have been fine, but they ran out before we got ours. We found out later that other area hotels are still offering hot breakfast "cafeteria" style so that cleanliness/safety are a first priority, but you still receive what you paid for. Also, we did not receive any clean towels, no one dumped our trash while we were there and nobody was working the front desk to ask for towels on day 2.
