Best Western Hotel Executive Inn, Hobbs

Have had a good experience each time I have stayed in Hobbs NM. This will be the hotel I stay at from now on. Clean rooms, excellent service, offer breakfast, keep the outside clean too and can slept good no bad outside noises.

Visited thew weeping statue of Mary and stayed at this motel. This place was one of the best places i have stayed when traveling. The Staff was prompt on getting me checked in. The room was clean and orderly.

Very pleasant stay at this hotel. Professional employees, clean and comfortable room. Nice restaurant across the street. Easy parking. Relatively quiet if you get a room away from the main street. There were a lot of oil field workers staying there and it was a very busy place with their many trucks and equipment. But by late evening, the noise had subsided.

Room was clean, had a decent bed and once the neighbor turned off their television, it was thankfully quiet. Breakfast was not all that complex or varied but it was tasty and hot. I always appreciate NM mild green Chiles, and they had some as a side for topping items. It is bout the taste, not the heat with those chiles.

It was a great hotel to stay at and I stay at alot due to work.. I always try and find a best Western in the town I'm working at I haven't had a bad stay in one yet. The staff was helpful and very friendly the rooms was very clean it was an excellent choice.

check in was good. greeted nicely and given bag of snacks/drinks for being a loyal member. Room was clean and small. I agree with other reviewers that you pay a lot for what this hotel is. Took away a point for the breakfast which was bad. Scrambled eggs were runny and sitting in water. Bacon was very fatty and translucent and the burritos were horrible (per my hubby) was able to eat a banana. You can tell they buy the low end of food. Overall for where you are hotel is ok. If you don't have to stop in Hobbs I agree that you should drive on past the oil area as hotels are way overpriced.

AS others have noted, the prices of hotels in Hobbs are absurdly expensive due to the high demand for rooms from oil workers (and even higher in nearby towns). Best Western Executive is one of the more economically-priced places in Hobbs … although still costs a lot by "normal" smalltown USA standards. The hotel is well-placed for town and the highway, although the actual neighborhood isn't great (a bit rough around the edges, and we stepped over a syringe in the street when walking around). The rooms have everything you need, are quiet, clean and relatively comfortable. The breakfast is standard BW fare - i.e. not very inspiring, processed mainly carbs and over-stewed coffee. Very nice reception staff and interesting hotel owners. For eating I strongly recommend La Taqueria Jalisco on West Bender Boulevard. Delicious, and they make excellent margaritas!

We like Best Western and found this one up to expectations. The only problem is cost. It seems that due to the petroleum industry there is a horrible distortion of pricing in the region. North of Carlsbad, Artesia was ok. East of Carlsbad you will need to look beyond Hobbs to find a room at a reasonable price.

This place had been a life saver when I at the last minute needed a place to stay in Hobbs. I was here a month ago and hadn't made any hotel arrangements and this place was available. Clean rooms, nice staff, and prices for Hobbs were fair. However the next trip to Hobbs was a completely opposite. I had booked a room and at 5 PM the day of my check in I was called and told my room was no longer available. It put me in a big clutch. They said that I would be refunded the room within two to three weeks. Okay, but I ended up paying three times the rate to stay at a different hotel. Not cool.

This place was most welcome after a long drive. The staff was pleasant yet professional, and the room was quiet, clean, and everything worked just fine. It was pricey though--$200 for a standard room for two. I don't think that's far from the town's going price, but still… But there IS one minor thing—and I have recently posted this for other on-the road-hotels: the generic breakfast fixings were poor. Things simply weren't cared for as one would expect. And the quality of everything—from bread to rolls to soggy meat to (powdered?) eggs was weak. A bowl of cheerios seems to be the default breakfast. C'mon, how much does it take to improve on THAT?! p.s. that little steak house/restaurant across the street far exceeded expectations for dinner. Good spot.

The Best Western in Hobbs was easy to find and I got a very comfortable room at a better price than I typically find in the Oil Field area. The Rooms are somewhat dated and not very large but very comfortable beds, clean and everything worked with no problems.

This hotel was the best value within 2 hours of the caverns. Hobbs, a town that you wouldn't normally find yourself in as a tourist, was friendly and welcoming, particularly the hotel staff. The room had everything we expect from a Best Western, we have used them across the States, and this one certainly shines. 1 1/2 hours to the caverns but well worth the time. Surprisingly good restaurants in the area too.

I stay here every time I am in town for work! The staff is very friendly and the rooms are always clean. I recommend this place over any other Hotel in Hobbs. The prices are more than reasonable for me and my crew.

Our room was clean and tastefully decorated. We had a microwave and small fridge. Everything looked newly decorated. The bed was OK comfortable. There were plenty of pillows. The room was a bit small and crowded because of a desk and a table with 2 chairs but still ok. My only complaint was the area of town. It's on a fairly main highway but most everything in the area seems old and run down. There are no decent restaurants in the area to eat at. It's several miles drive to the area with most of the restaurants, grocery stores, walmart, etc. Directly behind the motel is a residential area. From my balcony I could look down onto a trailer where someone lives. We drove down the highway to a hole in the wall restaurant named El Caballero in an old run down motel. It got great reviews and was close so we gave it a try. Avoid this at all cost. I was up all night regretting this decision. If being close to restaurants or anything else is important, this is not the place to stay. If you just need a clean room to spend the night in, it's a decent place to stay.

This hotel was a second visit for us on our annual five to six week driving vacation. We had stayed at this same hotel last year and enjoyed everything about it, in fact making it a point to tell all of the staff that they had the nicest Best Western that we had ever been to. And this year was no different. If you are ever in Hobbs, this is the nicest place to stay for the money.. period...

Super friendly staff. Nice beds and great pillows. Very quiet. Best inexpensive stay so far. Big rooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again. Located in the older part of town but it is only a few minutes drive to the Casino and Wal Mart.

As for value I would say well worth the stay for what you receive. Location is in a little older part of town and is the only downside to this Beast western because the staff and cleanliness of the facility is great.

We were heading to Ruidoso to celebrate my 70th Birthday and wanted to stop in Hobbs which is about half-way. We were amazed at the price of the BW Executive Inn in Hobbs and pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Staff was very helpful and we will recommend this place to our friends.

Although we prefer to access our room from the inside, this motel style Best Western was acceptable. When accessing from outside, the rooms naturally have more noise from outside. The room was basic but clean and breakfast was great.

This is a very wretched part of the country given it's oil fields for miles in every direction so you could imagine how deplorable this town is. Easily the best place to stay is here. Very clean, quiet and they're dog friendly.

The hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is modern and well-maintained. It has exterior access rooms. Continental breakfast is basic but clean and well-kept.

Drove through Hobbs and chose after viewing exterior. Clean room with microwave and refrigerator. Pool closed at this time of year. Friendly guy at check in who gave us directions to restaurants etc. Easy parking in front of room.

Above states the problem; there was a leak in the interior tank apparatus of the toilet that I think I fixed by lifting the lid and fiddling with the handle inside the tank. Without fixing the problem, it would have kept us up all night with running water.

We stayed in Hobbs for one night on a family visit and this motel was excellent! Rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable ! There customer service was excellent! They are on the edge of town away from shops and restaurants! But luckily that town is very easy to navigate ! A good value for the money!

Nice and quick check-in, extremely helpful staff, very impressive room furniture! I never hoped to find anything that comfortable for the price we paid. Another big advantage was that we could walk to the nearby Saxony Steakhouse and have an excellent dinner. After so many hours of driving that was right what we needed!

This hotel is VERY good, the rooms are very clean, great beds and the price is FANTASTIC. Its well worth it. the only unfavorable thing is that its not near all of the eateries in Hobbs, you are actually on the outskirts. but that doesn't make in any less of a value.

Going through Hobbs and wanted a place to stay for one night. Clean and not too expensive. Best Western worked great and the staff directed us to food and shopping. Answered all our questions with a smile. Perfect stay!1

Cons: Kinda old but not much 2/ choose from there. So will try & make my travel schedule 2/ not have 2/ stop there. Outside entrance 2/ the rooms. No laundry facilities. Outside pool. No elevator. Towels old and thin. Pros: They were updating the carpets, so they were nice. Bed was comfortable, nice pillows & blankets. Nice shower. Wifi, fridge and microwave

Extremely pleasant experience at the check-in. Was offered lots of information about the CBNP and white sand NP. Comfortable beds, clean room, fairly good breakfast. Definitely got more than expected.

Great breakfast ! very nice rooms and awesome customer service. Manager very helpful. Will stay again when we will be at Hobbs. The employers were very helpful and taking care of everything all the time. Breakfast was just great ! One of the best i've found of any hotels i know. I truly recommend to stay with them.

Very friendly staff, good breakfast at reasonable rate. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. We got there late and tired after a long drive but the friendliness of the staff was very helpful. It was a comfortable night before the hiking.

Such nice people. Great price. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Stay in over half the rooms and they are always nice and clean. The own Rk is always there to help. And Yolanda is such a friendly and sweet person.

I occasionally stay at Hobbs Best Western Executive Inn due to its proximity to those I am visiting. There are plenty of alternative hotels in Hobbs these days, but I continue to stay here because the staff is so considerate and accommodating. They help me with last minute plan changes, special needs such as milk for the grandbaby late night, etc, with a smile! Great value and pleasant stay every time.

was a well run hotel, enjoyed the stay...and was treated in a professional and courteous manner would stay there again on my next business trip to the area. was very worth the price of the room, everything was clean and working properly. the parking lot was well lit and safe. was a little off the beaten path...but was not far off of restaurants etc.

Toilet was not cleaned and still had "hair" on the rim from prior guests; noise level from next room was awful; lobby was locked all night long so no coffee for the early risers... Overall disappointing. Will not stay here again.

Wonderful suite with plenty of room to roam, since we stayed six days we wanted the best for our visit. Very friendly office staff and very helpful-they had fax accommodations for my business. Maid staff very friendly-they liked my little dog! We will stay there on our next business/vacation trip!

The Best Webern Executive Inn in Hobbs, New Mexico is always a good place to stay. We stay there for two nights, approximately every six weeks. All of the employees at this hotel are friendly & helpful, from the owners to the staff who clean the rooms. The rooms are constantly being updated with something new, from furniture to draperies to lamps to artwork...there is always something new, modern and fresh.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel on the way to Carlsbad Caverns and back. It's more affordable than the options in Carlsbad, and I was really delighted at how clean the rooms are. Wi-Fi access is easy and strong. Breakfast is delicious - variety of hot foods (sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, etc) plus a waffle maker and the usual cold options (including yogurt!). I would definitely recommend this place.

We have stayed at the Best Western in Hobbs a lot. We travel to Hobbs approximately every 6 weeks and stay 2 nights each time. The staff is friendly & helpful. The property is well maintained. The rooms are comfortable and have the executive feel with modern furniture & décor. There's a reason we keep going back...it's a nice & comfortable place to stay.

On out way to CA from TX, we stayed at this hotel on a Friday night. The hotel is good with comfortable beds, quiet surrounding, clean rooms and outer area, and good breakfast but the people in this place are what makes the difference. They are very caring, I was surprised to get such a costumer service for the price that I paid. I am returning here again in my way back home.
