Je m’inscris This hotel was disappointing. Staff is kind but the overall atmosphere is run down and grungy. A lot of folks hanging around smoking in the parking lot and next to room entries. Rooms are separate from the check in desk/breakfast/pool area. No elevators. The room appeared clean but it is old and dated. It was really muggy inside even with the air conditioning running. There was also a musky/dirty odor scent in the room. Gave the vibe of a cheap motel. Won't be staying here again.
My wife and I arrived midday and checked into the hotel. We were there only long enough to drop off our luggage and quickly use the restroom. We noticed a musty odor in the room but did not think much of it at the time since the room appeared clean. We returned to the room approximately 9:00 p.m., 6 hours after checking in, only to notice even worse odors, musty and the smell of raw sewage/septic fumes. It was so bad that we ended up checking out and driving home. Basically paid $150 for the luxury of having them store our luggage for 6 hours and the use of the toilet for 1 minute.
Wow! What an amazing stay! I have found this hotel amazing. I stayed for two days in July and returned to stay for four days in August. I actually requested (and received) the same room I stayed in before. The bed is like lying on a cloud (sorry about the cheap cliche). I fall asleep almost within five minutes of lying on the bed. They were very accomodating regarding my dog and the breakfast was great. If I could give more than five stars, I would.
I had an issue with my stay regarding cleanliness. Brandon the general manager reached out to me to hear me out and apologize. He asked me how I wanted to handle this. He was apologetic, professional and assured me that the issue is being taken care off.
Not a great place to stay for us, did not meet our expectations, it was loud, stinky from smokers and too close to the highway. better other little towns nearby
The staff here were especially helpful and caring including the GM, but especially Pauline in the breakfast room and Ricky on the maintenance staff. The beds were clean, sheets were crisp, and mattress very comfortable. The full size sparkling clean pool was the best. The included breakfast was fresh & delicious
This property is easily accessed right off US 23. Two entrance points make it easy. Lots of restaurants nearby as well as stores for shopping. The lobby is nicely appointed, and the entire property is well maintained. Our room was spotlessly clean , and everything in good working order.
For the first time in many years of staying here, I need to register an issue. Once again, Marilyn checked us in on Christmas evening. She is always warm and welcoming. Room was very clean. However, someone had unplugged all electrical behind the TV. The fridge took quite a while to cook. No tissue in the room. We have always enjoyed the breakfast here. The desk attendant also does breakfast. We got there around 8:30 for breakfast. It ends at 9. No coffee, potatoes were the only hot item. No milk. A gentleman came in about the same time. Put cereal in his bowl and went to the desk to request food. Woman at desk was on the phone the entire time. He waited for 15 minutes. Finally, she ended the call and told him she guessed she could make him some eggs and gave him a very snide look. When she started the eggs, he requested meat and she told him she'd have to thaw it. She looked at us and just rolled her eyes. I thought that wasn't very kind, since he had waited so patiently. My husband and I just made do with what was available. If breakfast is until 9, then there should be breakfast. She could have easily asked the person in the phone if she could have called them back. Just good customer service. To be honest, I think she was oblivious to any of us coming in at 8:30. It hurts me to lower my rating, as we truly enjoy this hotel. When we went to check out, she was still messing with breakfast, so we could not get a receipt.
Have stayed at this hotel numerous times through the years and have always been satisfied with the experience. My mother always had my family stay here in the past when we would visit and since she passed,I carried on the tradition.
I have stayed at this establishment several rimes over the years. I am a platinum member. Staff has always been fantastic until this visit. I recieved a message the day I checked out suggesting smoking in the room. I work third shift. I was sleeping when I recieved rhe message. I returned the call rhe following morning at 10 am. The manager had not reported to work yet. I explained the situation to the receptionist explaining I do not smoke yherefore this was impossible. She said 4 rooms had reported smoking, 3 of them with butts left in the room. I explained again, that I am not a smoker, therefore that was impossible. She suggested maybe mine was rhe room with no butts. She said she would have him return my call and he made no effort and I was charged $300. I was also charged $139 for room aftwr being promiseda a $124. If you have an extra $300 to throw away than this is the place to stay. If you don't like being robbed, I suggest somewhere else.
The staff can be a bit noisy in the mornings, breakfast Is limited to about 5 guests in food. It's better to go on for breakfast. They don't seem to refill the breakfast hot foods after a 7am rush....
Stayed for a local soccer tournament. Popped in at 1 pm to see if a room was ready between games, understandably asked to return at 3. Arrived at 310, to a queue of about 12 people. One lady checking in. Took round 35 minutes to check in, by this time about 20+ people behind me and room still wasn't ready. Once in our room the smell of smoke was oppressive. Ended up having to spend another 50 on a febreeze run, and leaving the door and window open as much as possible. Bed was comfortable, but it was hard to sleep well due to the smell.
I had made a reservation and when I arrived at the check in lobby, I was warmly greeted and the check in procedure was a breeze, I had key in hand and I was on my way to a room that was nicely appointed, spotlessly clean, and everything in good working order. Bed sheets had a nice freshly laundered smell, but not overpowering.
We had a wonderful 4-night stay at the Best Western of Hartland while attending a dog show in Corunna, MI. Check in and check out were both easy. The room was large and clean. There was plenty of hot water with adequate water pressure. Although this motel was over 45 minutes from the show site, we selected it because the doors opened directly to the outside and there was an abundance of green space, probably the best of any place we have stayed this year. The grounds were very clean. Be forewarned, though, the mosquitoes are fierce, so make sure to have mosquito repellent once the sun goes down. The wi-fi and TV worked well. A printed channel guide would have been a plus, though. The location was great, since we were close to a grocery store, gas station and a variety of eating places. I felt extremely safe staying here. It would be a nice perk if the pet fee would max out at $100 per stay, like many motels where we stay, but it was a reasonable fee per night per pet. If we attend this cluster of dog shows next year, I would definitely stay here again.
Do not stay here. This hotel has a lot of unsavory people loitering in their parking lot. We did not feel comfortable or safe. Rooms looked clean but smelled musty or of pets. I left with a mysterious rash.
On may way home & needed to stop after too many hours on the road. Decided to give this area a try. After staying in many Best Westerns along my trip, I was disappointed that my own state did not measure up. This is an older venue, but hopefully the renovations will continue. My room was clean, but tired & although the flooring was new in the bath, the older carpet needs to go. Lamps new on old furniture was sad. Had 2 beds, & one had crumbs in it, so I lucked out with the second one. The pool was nice & warm & I enjoyed it all alone. Breakfast was o.k. - no fresh fruit & the eggs were weird tasting. It is a venue frequented by truckers & the location was on a busy road(59). Will pass this one up next time.
This Hotel was perfect for us. The breakfast was great. Hot eggs, sausage, waffles and the usual muffins, toast, juices, etc. The beds and pillows were so comfy. I slept great. Our room was on the bottom so our car was literally three feet from the door. Unloading and reloading was so nice. The pool was clean and the desk clerk was very sweet and helpful. I highly would recommend this hotel and will return when we are in the area again. The only negative thing I have to say is that they do not have a freezer in the room. They do supply a nice fridge and microwave, but NO FREEZER. We always travel with a cooler and ice bricks. Without a freezer, we had no way to refreeze are ice bricks for the cooler the next day. On a good note: the front desk was very nice and put our ice bricks in their employee freezer for the night. That was very very nice.
in need of updating, the room had an order to it we went out and bought and used a room air freshener to have the order not be as bad, Food was good but not kept full all the time, had to ask about it sometimes.
I was here with my friend Joe we had long hectic day. The room we got was nice & clean. The bed was also very comfortable. Joe was very happy with the internet playing games. Their are some good restaurants near by for dinner. The morning breakfast was delicious.
I was here with my wife as we booked the room in this hotel. Our room was neat & clean. The internet speed was great. The staff here was also very responsive & helpful. They took care of everything we wanted. Breakfast was also delicious. There are nice restaurants around the hotel for dinner & lunch. The pool was also good, we enjoyed it a lot.
This hotel is a good place to stay. We friends were searching for any place like this. The indoor swimming pool is amazing we enjoyed a lot their & spend a memorable time. Breakfast was also very tasty. Will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
Its was really a very nice experience staying here. We all were tired after a long journey & were hungry too. There are many restaurants near this hotel. The food was good & we rushed to our rooms for sleep. This hotel has internet & breakfast service.
Good location by m59 and US-23, we were attending a wedding at Waldenwoods Resort a mile away so very convenient for staying there. Room 108 was very clean and the mattress was great, even at higher end hotels we often struggle with mattresses being too soft and sagging in the middle with 2 of us (average size) - but no sagging at least in this room and no overly firm or soft, just right.
We were on our way back after 4th of July celebrations and had a stopover at this property. Simple but well kept with prompt service and eager to assist staff. One of the better Best Westerns I have stayed at!
Needed to stop for the day. I called on the road to see if they had a room available which they did. Was very clean & comfortable & quiet. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well. They also provide a hot breakfast in the morning which was good.
This is the second time I have stayed while visiting a friend in the area. I remember liking it more previously. I got a room on the second of the two floors. There is no elevator so bear that in mind. My room was fine enough though there was a spider crawlling around on the ceiling that whole night. The room size for just me, was fine. The tv was okay, the wifi fast enough. I was never advised that there was a pool on the property and only noticed it on the last day of my trip. The breakfast offerings were kind of sparse. I was there about an hour before the end of breakfast and they were already out of a few things and wouldn't be replacing them. That kind of sucked. This is definitely a more average BW. But it was safe enough to feel comfortable as a solo female traveller.
Nice value for the price. Sounding proofing was a bit of a problem when having a room with internal doors to an adjoining room. Breakfast was great, staff was friendly. Had to ask for clean towels though during a multiple day stay.
We desperately needed a place to stay with our 3 cats after a house fire, and I'm so glad we ended up here! The employees were all very helpful and polite, and this is a great area for shopping and restaurants. The rooms were also neat and tidy, along with being surprisingly private with thick curtains and decent sound dampening. It's not 100% silent, of course, but it's still pretty quiet for being so close to major roads. There's a relatively private patch of grass out back where you can walk your dog(s). We didn't end up using the pool or laundry, but those are also great features to have. My only real problem was that our neighbors' dogs were noisy, but that's to be expected in a place that allows pets. (One of our cats decided to yodel at 9 in the morning, so our animals weren't exactly perfect hotel guests either!)
good place i was just not happy with the location of my room, middle of second floor with no middle access to get to it. there are alot of places to eat there. and an emagine theater right down the street, along with a meijers, and they have a pool.
I pulled in to the under cover check in area, and I was warmly greeted at the counter. Lobby is large and nicely decorated. Check in was a breeze as I already had a reservation. Our room was spotlessly clean, everything in good working order. Double curtains closed tightly to block light and add as a bit of a sound barrier. Towels and sheets laundered perfectly. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
This hotel is always clean and quite. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Close to lots of food shopping. Close to Ann Arbor. Lots to do in the area year round. Not far from down town Detroit.
The room was dirty - the floors looked like they weren't vacuumed in forever and the in room hot tub was dirty - long hairs everywhere and it was slimly. What a waste of money. Also, someone in the park lot right in front of our room at 2 Am working on their car with power tools.
Dirty room. broken toilet seat, dirty heating and ac unit. Would not stay on until I removed the dirty filters. This hotel is not worth coming to. better off anywhere else. Even the water is so soft that you feel you can never rinse the soap off of you.
The staff were very friendly..helpful..understand.. The pool was large..wish it was heated And wish the room was cleaned when qe were in it..may be a covid issue Every member of the staff were vwry helpful from management sown to someone working the laundry area. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. I give this a 5 star and highly recommend this motel
I guess you get what you pay for. We were traveling home from vacation, and spent the first night at this Best Western Hotel for 1 night because the price seemed right. The bathroom had mold in the shower, there was mold at the bottom of the outside door, the carpet and upholstered chair were in need of a cleaning, the furniture was worn and scratched, and the fee that we were told for having a dog with us was $5.00 more than what I was quoted on the phone upon making the reservation. The bed was comfortable, and the free breakfast was okay - typical hotel food. I would not recommend staying at this location in Harland, MI.
Our family stayed at the Best Western with a large group for a wedding. The lobby area was inviting! Excellent location with some shopping nearby. The rooms were very clean! Breakfast was excellent! Staff was very accommodating! Pool area was clean! Priced right! Would definitely stay here again!
The clientele of this hotel was sketchy and some nights did not feel safe. The chair was gross and dirty looking. The a/c didn't work at first. However the staff was friendly. I would not recommend this hotel.
My sister & I stayed here, we were going to a niece's graduation party at Oakland Yard. So, this location was great, easy off and on US-23 (we live in the UP) and to get to the party. The motel was clean and quiet. The breakfast was awesome!! Waffles, bacon (crispy, the way I like it), sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, bagels, etc. The lady in the breakfast area was friendly & helpful. She gave us the directions to a mall that we wanted to visit. On the downside, the rooms are in a separate building from the office & breakfast area. Also, no elevators (we were on the second floor) and the steel stairs were a bit steep and made me a bit uncomfortable. Also, the drain in the shower/tub was slow. But it suited our purpose and I would recommend it if someone needed to stay in the area.
Clean & spacious rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly & helpful staff. In area for baseball tournament, used laundry facilities at hotel. That was convenient! Restaurants & stores nearby. Would stay again!
I walked into the newly remodeled lobby and was warmly greeted. Check in was a breeze as I had already made a reservation. The lobby was spacious and clean. Our room had no odors at all, and yet we could tell that it was very clean from carpets to bathroom to sheets. Our room was surprisingly quiet especially for being close to the freeway. Easy to get out to the exit and back onto the freeway. Restaurants and stores nearby.
We had a great stay here. Our room was clean. We arrived a little earlier than check in and they didn't give us any hassle about it. The pool was nice. And the very best thing was the continental breakfast. It was the best one I have had in a very long time. There were even gluten free and dairy free options which are rare to find at a continental breakfast but greatly appreciated!
The entry drive has potholes big enough to blow a tire. Housekeeping is questionable, the place needs a steam clean. The furniture is nicked-up, lamps need to be wiped down, the place is a mess. Courteous yes, but the facility badly needs an upgrade. It's a motel out of the 1970s that deserves a bulldozer!
An unfortunate mistaken booking error by another hotel brand in Brighton left my daughters and I with a choice of a sky high rate or moving on. We quickly searched and called the BW. They warmly welcomed us with ample space and a fair rate. The hotel is run more like a family pension. The room was vey clean and well appointed. The hotel is set back from the road surrounded by kept grounds. Pauline, who has worked for this property for 30 years, welcomed us to a hot breakfast and clearly enjoys her guests. We chatted briefly and enjoyed the breakfast included. The cancellation that led us to this Michigan hotel reminded me that there are still some hoteliers that remember what the hospitality industry does best. If you book here you will surely “enjoy your stay”.
Went for a family trip and stayed 1 night for a rest and the pool. We were told for 2 weeks they had a pool. Get there its freezing out we walk to the pool and its cold!!! Oh.........no one mentioned it was fixed that day so the heat was not enough to heat it up all the way yet??? Not happy We got 3 rooms all to stay in a nice place and relax and swim
I walked into the lobby which is large and nicely decorated. I was greeted with a smile and a warm welcome. I had made a reservation prior, so check in was a breeze. Ample parking is available, close to the rooms. I like the touch keypad for entry, just touching the key to the pad saves time when going into the room while one is holding their luggage. The room was spotlessly cleaned, no odors or stains anywhere. Sheets were crisp and fresh and the bedding is comfortable. HVAC noise is low, so it is easy to sleep.
While I enjoy most of my stays at BW hotels, I will never return to this particular location, nor will I recommend. On the whole, staff was friendly and accommodating, but I am extremely dissatisfied with the BW Hartland manager, Brandon Samona. When I made my reservations, I was quoted a price per night. I had one pet and was informed the pet fee would be waived. I was very satisfied with this price as I was in need of a 3 + week stay as my home was undergoing renovation. I checked in on 12/12/2021. I checked out on 1/17/22 with the understanding my quoted rate had not changed and had budgeted accordingly. Imagine my surprise when I received a voicemail on 1/19/2/2, from Ken @(front desk) BW Hartland informing me that the manager, Brandon Samona, intended to charge me for pet fees. Apparently, Mr. Samona's policy is to charge $150 per week or $30 per day and he intended to charge my credit card in the amount of $510.00 total. These charges appeared on my bank account as cleared on 1/24/2022 in the amount of $480.00. This is a classic "switch and bait" scheme. The next day, 1/20/2022, I spoke with Mr. Samona regarding this charge. I asked to have these charges removed or reimbursed, and he flatly refused, He refused to honor the price per night that I had been quoted (and have receipts for), nor would he refund the charges. I offered to settle and pay a lower fee, but my offer was denied. I have filed a dispute with my bank and have lodged a formal complaint with Best Western Corporate against this particular location. Unless I receive a full refund for these charges, I will no longer be a Best Western Elite Member and will take my business elsewhere. Regardless, I plan on posting this review on relevant social media platforms and will not recommend this particular BW franchise to my friends, family and business associates. Respectfully, R. Thomas P.S. - When I got to my room on 12/12/2021, I immediately noticed there was a dark black pubic hair and a long black hair in the shower. I also believe there were bedbugs as I soon broke out in an itchy rash on my back, torso and legs.
I stayed at the Hartland Best Western for a business need, and while the hotel is bit dated on the outside and in a somewhat undesirable location, the interior (lobby & room) was very nice. I had a great greeting experience with the day shift manager, very friendly/welcoming, and a great cup of coffee. Check out and breakfast was smooth and easy. The room was clean and nicely equipped. I was disappointed with the comforter on the bedding, too light for my preference. I would recommend the hotel for any traveler in the area.
This hotel isn't too far from the beautiful Kensington Metropark. The room was clean and it wasn't too loud. The pool was not working which would have been nice to know about from the website. Breakfast was good.
I walked into the lobby which is beautifully appointed, check in was a breeze as I had made a prior reservation. Our room was spotlessly cleaned, the carpet and the hard floors felt nice in bare feet and the bathroom looks as it had been thoroughly sanitized. Bed sheets had a nice clean feel to them.
Only real complain was the shower there was a lot of hair on the walls, floor, curtain and drain. Simply cleaning the shower would have changed my rating the big things I look for is a clean bathroom and bed!
Good, basic hotel for the money. It was clean and service friendly. We had 2 dogs barking a couple of doors down (sketchy clientele) and the outside entrance is not desireable. I would not stay there alone as a female. But overall for the price and what they have to work with (and for only one night), it's a good choice.
The rooms are clean and smell fresh. Bed is extremely comfortable and I love the refrigerator and microwave in the room! Friendly staff that make you feel you are important! Thank you kindly for a wonderful stay! Will be back soon!
The rooms are very dated. The reason for the poor review was the bathroom with a shower that was unusable because of the discolored caulking that looked like mold. The building is two storied with outside entrances and the lobby is a separate building. The grab and go breakfast is not worth the effort to retrieve.
We stayed for 3 nights - Fri, Sat, Sun. The overall experience was good and cleanliness was above average. Tiny towels and not enough of them for 4 days/3nights. On day three we had to ask for more toilet paper because of reduced maid service during Covid. Sunday breakfast ran out of hot food one hour before it was over which was just not right. Staff was doing their best despite being obviously understaffed as all places are right now.
We were visiting our children and this hotel is convenient to their home. Even though it is an older facility, it was well cared for and extremely clean. The associates were outstanding. We even had a hot breakfast. We have stayed at other area hotels, this by far was the best and the best deal. We are BW members. Already booked our next stay here.
The staff at this hotel was very attentive and wonderful. However the age of this property really showed as it seemed there could be some definite upgrades. The most important being the mattress. The mattress was hard as a rock and was bumpy and lumpy. We are cuddlers when we sleep and couldn't because of the massive bump in the middle of the mattress. It also seemed that there was no comforter in the room so I was rather cold most of the night. The breakfast had a lot of different options which was nice as I was able to find something to eat with my soy allergy.
I have stayed in hotels from California to North Carolina, and this particular Best Western has the cleanest rooms, with exact attention to detail, I have ever experianced. I now know it's not a fluke, because I have stayed there five weeks in a row.
Breakfast on weekends, pool IS NOT open. Rooms are stocked & kept up well. The staff at the front desk was nice. Staff at breakfast were have a very loud conversation where there was complaining & cussing.. even though they are grown adults in their work area with families right by then trying to enjoy breakfast. Food was good & nicely stocked but when I asked a question about the juices as they were each labeled twice with different flavors, the woman told me she has only touched the machine twice ever.. because she doesn't usually work that area. I think staff could use some training for sure. Otherwise, our stay was very nice.
The manager at the front desk went out of his way to assist me with my elderly father, getting a room ready early for a first floor room. I really appreciated the help. A very friendly staff and willing to go out of their way to assist customers.
I have stayed at this motel several times in the past 10 years but feel for the price it has gone downhill. The room had some old food and garbage on the floor and could have been cleaner. I did feel like my complaint would be well received, as front desk was shirt with me at check in. Just tried not to touch anything, was in town for a funeral. For the price there are other places I could have most likely had a cleaner room and I wont be back.
We were highly impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. The front desk staff were very accommodating. Great location to the soccer tournament. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great quality
Conveniently located right off US 23 it is easy to get to and multiple shopping choices are nearby. The lobby was newly decorated and quite welcoming. The room was spotlessly cleaned. Neat and tidy. The bed and pillows were very easy to fall fast asleep in, which we did.
I pulled in to the covered check in parking, and was warmly greeted by a reception clerk, I had a reservation and was checked in with a friendly smile that made me feel welcome there. The room was spotlessly cleaned, without any chemical odors. The HVAC was reasonably quiet and easy to adjust temperature for the 40 degree outside temperature.
We stayed here after having to vacate our house - the staff was extremely helpful making sure that we had everything we needed. The rooms are updated, super clean and the bed was comfortable. If you need a place to stay don't hesitate .
We checked in after leaving out previous hotel in a rush due to issues. The front desk representative was great and speedy getting us into a room at 2 am. We will return to this property next time we are in town.
I checked in to BW Hartland mid afternoon, was warmly greeted and check in was a breeze with my online reservation I had made. I was off to my room in minutes. The room was very clean and tidy, all plumbing fixtures worked perfectly as did the air conditioning. ( it was around 90 degrees outside ) . I had a restful sleep on the comfy bed. Even though it is close to the US 23 expressway, road noise was minimal. It is wooded behind the BW so no noise from there either. There are restaurants close by as well as a grocery store across the road.
Upon arrival I was warmly greeted at the check in counter, after she handed me my ID and credit card back I was handed my room key ( only took a couple of minutes ) and I was told about the free wireless internet, and the breakfast buffet . The room was very clean, and nicely decorated with relaxing artwork on the walls. New flat screen TV worked great. Had a nice quiet night's sleep.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast had a nice variety and served hot. Great location. Even thought it is right next to 23 rooms were very quiet. Room very clean and bed comfortable. The only thing I was not a fan of is it is outside. Other than that it was a fantastic stay.
Stayed there New Year's Eve - convenient location and attentive staff even though it was a holiday. All parts of the process went smoothly. Room and common areas were clean. Parking lot is well-lit and close to rooms.
Drapes did not shut tightly. We had a first floor room and it was a bit concern to my wife. Very quiet for being nest to a highway. Longer walk to the breakfast area in main building. Very friendly service.
Rates were so reasonable. We had a 2-room suite with wet bar, microwave fridge, 2 TV's and a great king-size bed. Olympic-size pool and HOT hot tub were clean and inviting. The staff is very friendly. Lobby is very nice with good furniture. It was all decorated for Christmas. Breakfast was delicious and the room has big fireplace. Lovely. Our pets were very welcome Terrific place to stay near Green Bay.
Dirty shower stall with hair! Dark hairs in bed. Ick!!! This is a sketchy motel, not a hotel. Common space for check in & breakfast reeks of smoke. Does not seem safe or sanitary. Lots of better choices nearby!
A great hotel! You can't beat the value , location and the breakfast of the Best Western. Front desk is always friendly and helpful . The Amenities : Fridge, hairdryer and coffee pot is great to have in the rooms
I have yet to have an experience here that was less than fantastic. Clean, modern, great breakfast, fresh linens and towels. Service, as always, above and beyond. Located in walking distance of anything you could need.
The trip was uneventful, the hotel room was fine. But after I had checked out and headed home, a charge for $150 appeared. When i asked about the charge they had said I was smoking in the room. This was a shock to me, having never been a smoker. They said there was nothing I could do since it was an incidental charge. How convenient to charge me, then turn away any phone calls in my attempt to dispute it. Anyone from outside the area should expect this behavior.
Yesterday, we had a very unfortunate accident in our apartment that caused a fire and forced us off premise to find other accommodations. It was pretty late at night, around 10pm, and I was in a full panic trying to relocate my roommate and myself as my roommate was not off of work. I called Best Western, Marilyn who was working the front desk greeted the phone line with a calm, warm, inviting answer and I further explained my situation of the scenario. Marilyn invited me to come stay, so I packed what I could and decided to check in. She was the most thoughtful, welcoming, patient and humble Front Desk Agent I have ever met. THANK YOU MARILYN for giving me a light of positivity on my terrible night.
This Best Western is very clean, from the front desk area, the dining area and the rooms as well. Clean carpet, spotless bath area. Rooms are nicely updated with attractive artwork on the walls. Good location, close to lots of dining from fast food to casual elegant. Large easy parking areas and easy on and off US 23. Front desk staff is always friendly and helpful.
Staff was very helpful and friendly . Rooms were very clean. Close to everything I needed. Restaurant was close and things to do on a rainy day. I wasn't able to take advantage of the breakfast but it smelled delicious.
Staff is friendly. Rooms are updated, clean and adequately appointed. Bed was comfortable. Location was great-right off the freeway. Easy in and out. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff was very sociable.
I have never stayed at a better hotel than Best Western of Hartland, MI. The rooms are spotless, the staff is extremely helpful, friendly and outgoing. Breakfast is always good. My only complaint is that people do not pick up after their pets! But, that is not the hotels fault.
Back side of hotel had a lot of interstate noise. When it started to rain hard, the rain running off the roof and overhang caused us to not sleep. Ultimately got up, grabbed breakfast when it started and left w/o much sleep..
A very basic Best Western motel. Rooms are large and beds are comfortable. However, all in all it is an average place. Check in experience was ok and check out was easy and quick. I did not try their complementary breakfast.
Stayed here for a family reunion. Convenient location. Pool is nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Pet friendly, Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is quite good. Will be back for next year's reunion!
We really enjoyed the homestyle breakfast and chatting with the staff members. They were eager to help and always cheerful and friendly. Internet connection was great, and they helped us print our boarding passes for the trip home. Really made us feel welcome.
I have stayed here many many times over the past six years. I have never had any problems with my rooms. I'm sure I have been in most of them. Upon arrival I am recognized by the clerk. They have had many of the same employees for years many who remember me and will chat if they have time. My rooms have always been super clean. The beds are very comfy. The pool is huge. I stayed several times during their renovation period and had no troubles. The breakfast is really good and you can get coffee all day. I will stay here again many times.
Great hotel right off the highway. Many different restaurants within a few miles. We stayed twice over a ten 10 span. Check in was super easy and the rooms were extremely clean. Breakfast was warm and area was also very clean. Great value and great stay.
Made an online reservation through the Best Western website, check in was a breeze, had a very clean room that was quiet ( 2nd floor ) . Slept great, then nice shower in the morning, followed by a quick light breakfast in the lobby area, then I was on my way again. Breakfast area was spic and span !
the room was updated and clean. we were pleased with our stay. staff was very kind. the breakfast was wonderful too. we did not use the pool due to lack of time, but it looked nice! i would stay here again. the beds were super soft and comfy.
I was very surprised that the room was so nice for the price. Very clean. Breakfast was good as well. The only complaint was that the guests were a little loud outside in the parking lot at night but we slept fine.
The room was very clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We met some family here and had a great time together. We ordered pizza and had it delivered and ate together in the breakfast area. It couldn't have been better!!
This hotel was a surprise. Although the reception, breakfast and pool are in a separate building, the guest rooms were exceptional. The bed is comfy, the room was complete with a refrigeration, microwave, coffeemaker and a recliner. The room was very clean and comfortable. Great option if you are in this area.
This is a motel style older Best Western. The pics are deceiving. It smells like dog in the lobby. We were there for a robotics competition and when we checked in were bummed to see that the room was in a separate building from the main building, pool, and ice/vending machines. Not knowing the area, and having to rush to the first night of competition, we dropped our stuff off and left. After returning a couple of hours later, we decided not to stay. They charged us the entire nights stay even though we didn't stay the night! I asked for the manager, who was off site at the time, to call me. No one called. Very bad customer service.
Overall this property was nice enough. Room was nice and bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was small and not very hot, but overall the experience was fine. Like most hotels, wifi wasn't worth using.
The rooms are nice and clean. The bed is comfortable as well as a the armchair. TV, Hairdryer and little showering stuff is there. The breakfast is good and offers different things like toast, bagels, eggs, bacon and so on... different juices, waffles and burritos as well. The cleaning stuff as well as the breakfast staff are very friendly and caring and helped out with any question that came up. The pool I didn't use, so I can give no statement for that! In summary I can say I will be back for sure!
My husband and I didn't stay at the property because the ice machine was absolutely disgusting and the icy walkways had us very concerned about the cleanliness of the room. The woman at the front desk was extremely nice, but that wasn't enough to persuade us to stay. I booked the room because it received great reviews, but I was extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the property.
I recently had an extended stay at this Best Western and it was the best choice I could have made while visiting the area. The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. The staff was superior and made me feel welcome. My dog loved all of the attention from the staff and the great space provided for her to walk when warm. Breakfast was great - with different choices each day. The only suggestion I would make is to update the bed. Thanks, BW!
We booked a "mystery" room just to have a night out of the house. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and the breakfast was plentiful, hot and fresh but the best part of our stay was the room. We stay in hotels quite often and I have to say this was probably one of the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. There was not even a water mark on the shower wall, it was spotless. Would definitely stay again.
Cleanest and cleanest smelling Best Western in years, and we had a pet room! Other locations need to do what they are doing here. Can't stress enough how satisfied we were with our stay. Everyone we dealt with was pleasant and friendly and cared about how our stay was going. Tap card entry was great instead of those annoying swipe cards that hardly ever work. Right next to highway for easy exit and entry. Food and gas all around location.
We stayed here on a Friday night to attend a wedding at the nearby Waldenwoods. The hotel is modern, room was larger, nicely decorated. Our room had a large shower instead of the usual tub, crown moldings. Furnace was in new condition, bedding fresh and comfortable. Nice pillows. Through the wall heater worked well and was quiet. Breakfast was much better than typical, lots of choices, attendant pleasant.
Room was clean, very comfortable bed. Larger than usual refrigerator and microwave were nice to have available. Top notch breakfast for a hotel. Easy on/off highway. I'd stay there again for sure. And the price was surprisingly cheap.
The location was great for our family wedding and the room could not have been nicer. The pool was the best - clean, warm, and the staff made sure that we had adequate towels and supplies. Housekeeping was the same - whatever you needed they provided. Breakfast was a full hot meal or continental if you preferred. The hostess made sure that the hot buffet was always stocked and there was an abundance of cold selections. (Thanks to the hostess) The desk was very efficient and helpful when we asked questions and directions about the area. Thanks to all!!
First the good: The internet was great. Now, everything else. My experience started here with waiting a really long time before anyone showed up at the front desk. The room wasn't very clean, including the carpet and the mattress. The shower was low pressure and very hard water. Breakfast was mediocre. I'm not sure this even meets my "would stay here again if I had no other choice" standard. The price was decent, but not decent enough to make up for the rest of it.
Breakfast was available in the lobby. There were only hard dried out eggs available upon arrival. A fresh batch of eggs was being cooked - I overheard the employee tell another guest. The egse we're replenished 30-40 minutes later. Most folks had left by the. The room was clean, bed comfy. Arrived around 10 p.m. No food available anywhere. I was told there was a 24 McDonald's near by but I opted to go to sleep hungrt & wait till morning for food. The shower was good.
I don't know that I ever have stayed at a Best Western before, but if I could be assured they were all like this they would win hands down. From an appearance standpoint, everything looked very fresh and HGTV quality. Even the mini refrigerator in the room was behind a cabinet door. Room was very clean and had little fancy touches like the way some of the towels and toiletries were displayed. The self serve breakfast had so many options to choose from … the normal juice, fruit, cereal and toast but also scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, and the ingredients to do a breakfast burrito. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Should we have the need for accommodations in this area again, there will be no doubt as to where we will stay.
close to the freeway. Close to stores.I would recommend this motel to anyone who needs a nice, clean, comfortable place to stay. Plentyof parking places. Weekends are a little pricey, but so are all the other places.
Very convenient off the hideaway. The hotel surrounded by a Walgreens, CVS, Krogers and Speedway walking distance. The room were very clean, good bed and well kept. Good WiFi. Has an Iron board. It also have a refrigator and a microwave. Multiple cups of coffee. And a hot breakfast waiting for you in the morning. Front desk was full of information of places to visit along the way. Thank you Ken!! You are awesome. And Pauline for caring for your guest. It was a very good stay. Until next time.
Hotel was very clean and beds were very comfortable. All the Staff was friendly and helpful from the front desk to the cleaning people. Only spent one night but would use this hotel again when we go to our son's.
I found the hotel easily, but as I pulled in the drive I knew I had made a mistake. The exterior leaves much to be desired and does not to appear to be updated. While the interior of the lobby and the rooms have been updated nicely. It smells old, funky, and some smokey undertones, which is covered up by cheap smelling cleaning products or air freshener. The towels, sheets, pillows, chair are not of good quality and are quite worn. The sheets "look" clean but they are very wrinkled. I turned the fan/air conditioning on in the room hoping to clear out the smell, but fan/air is musty which does not help an already musty room--thankfully it is not hot! For the amount of money I paid for this room, it should not smell and the sheets should not be wrinkled!! Very disappointed, I will not stay here again.
We had a nice room very quite, and clean but the hotel was hard to find even with a GPS system . I mentioned this to the desk clerk and was told the city has a lot to do with that and trying to get it fixed.
I'm not disappointed with this Hotel. It has been refurbished and is clean and neat. Rooms are large and accommodating. It is a little noisy and we had folks out doors next to us having a conversation until late last night. They weren't over the top, just a little loud. We didn't complain to them or management. They were just visiting and chatting while they smoked out side. We would stay here again.
I just want to say this is one of the best experiences I have had in many years staying at a hotel. A little pricey, but great service and super staff. Breakfast was great!! They had good accommodations for our dogs, too.
Great place for a quick overnight because we went to a wedding nearby. People there are gracious & nice, breakfast was perfect, coffee plentiful. Forget the room coffeemaker, there was good coffee & hot water available in the breakfast room. Didn't use, but saw a laundry onsite- always a bonus. Same with the pool. Would stay there again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms and lobby are completely updated/clean. Breakfast is good. Internet is good. The exterior is dated but don't let this dissuade you from staying. The room has an exterior door which was secure but we could hear the rainstorm overnight. It is very convenient to the Hartland Performing Arts Center, which is why I chose this hotel.
After selling our home faster than expected & having to wait longer than planned to move into our new place, I (together with my teen & senior Mom), ended up staying for an extended time of 2 months at the Best Western in Hartland MI. Initially, we were terrified, thinking this was going to be a very stressful time, especially when we also had our 2 small dogs with us, but boy oh boy, was I ever wrong! The room was so cozy, with very comfy beds and the best pillows ever! The housekeeping/maintenance staff was amazing (thanks Kerri & Tom), always asking us if we needed anything & promptly providing whatever we asked for! The entire staff/team was beyond excellent, everyone went out of their way to make us feel so at home. Pauline, who always had a yummy breakfast waiting for us every morning & never ceased to greet us with the warmest smile. The 2 office staff: Jessica & Ken, are some of the sweetest and most welcoming people we've ever encountered at a hotel. It was such a pleasure to chat/visit with them a bit every day! Then there is Brandon, the General Manager, WOW, we truly don't have enough or adequate words to describe how welcoming he was to our family and how incredibly kind he was to us during our prolonged stay. He personally made sure all our needs for comfort were met (he even went out of his way to make sure my elderly Mom had her favorite fruit available every morning)! We have travelled a lot domestically and internationally, but very few places have made us feel so welcome and literally “as though we were family,” as Brandon and the entire staff of the Hartland Best Western made us feel! We will forever recommend the Hartland Best Western to anyone who ever plans to visit the area!!! Thanks again for a wonderful experience!!!
I've been staying here for 20 years and I keep coming back because I love it! Staff is always nice and knowledgeable. Breakfast is very good. Great well lit parking lot for trucks! Well lined car slots
The room was clean. Ground floor. They were extremely social and helpful, both on the phone when I reserved, and when I was checking in. To the point that my wife got annoyed because we were talking so much. I've stayed in more than a few motels around the country and rarely, if at all was I made to feel as welcome as I was here.
Starting with check-in, excellent experience, compliments to Ken. Friendly & helpful in getting us into our room early. Christmas morning, again Ken greeted us with a friendly Merry Christmas & pointed out the breakfast amenities.
Great location with plenty of places to dine and shop. Price is very attractive for the area. Staff is very friendly and helpful will an emphasis of making your stay enjoyable. Pool is very convenient. Good access to highways for long road travelers.
I have stayed in many hotels, but this place and the staff, they are the very BEST! nice pool, good beds, BEST service from the nicest people- thank you all! The owner is also very understanding and professional- HIGHLY RECOMMEND a stay here.
Very nicely done, standard Am. motel. Comfortable, clean, friendly, helpful staff. YOU NEED TO REMOVE THE 200 CHARACTER MINIMUM YOU IMPOSE ON REVIEWS!?><:;'"1234567890-=@#$%^&*()_+abcdefghijklmopqurstuvwxyz
hotel was clean, breakfast was amazing, front desk staff (Ken) was very friendly and personable. would stay here again. I would definitely stay here again. several members of our family stayed over for thanksgiving and we were all very pleased with the staff and our stay.
We were surprised what a relaxed stay we had at your hotel. It was cleaned everyday. It had an outstanding breakfast. Staff was wonderful. We did use your laundry services and it was always clean. Thank you for such a nice stay.
Room was clean upon arrival, staff greeting us were cheerful, helpful both at check in and checkout. Roll out bed was in room upon arrival and was comfortable following placing blankets on it to add extra cushioning. Breakfast room was clean, food was good, coffee hot.
Everything was acceptable except the overwhelming smoke smell in our room. Pretty easy going people that don't normally complain, however the stale smoke smell was strong. The room looked like it had been recently updated and was very clean when we arrived around 1AM. The was were really thin (old building) and we could hear everything on both sides of us. (don't really fault the management or owner for this...it is what it is). However, the smoke smell in the room seems very correctable. Thank you.
This experience was horrible, second hotel in a row that was a bad as the first. We can home two days in a row to a room that was avoided by room service so thats a great way to come home after work. My employee stepped on a large piece of glass on the walkway and another one of my employees are moldy bread on our last day there. Pretty horrible. This is why we are now renting a house. Not only are we saving alot of money but our experience in Michigan will be better now that others aren't ruining it for us
Great beds -- I slept like a rock! Very clean, nice-sized rooms, good selection at the free breakfast, exceptionally pleasant desk staff. Overall a great stay! A few additional notes: The rooms in this motel open to an outside walkway rather than into an indoor hallway, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the screened window as other guests would walk by occasionally. Lots of construction-type workers were staying at the motel, many of them smoking outside their rooms -- but none by my room thankfully :-) I noticed only very muffled sounds from adjoining rooms. Breakfast is in the same building as the lobby, which is a separate building from where the room was.
It was a total great experience. Staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and decor was nice? Very up to date and comfortable? We stayed there as a half way spot between area attractions and it worked out great for us?
From the sanitized remote control, clean bathroom with a great fan and wonderfully hot water, to very comfortable pillows, this hotel gets two thumbs up from me!!! Reasonable price and friendly desk service!
The Hartland Best Western was fine for one night, but I doubt many would stay longer. It was build in the old 70's fashion with all doors facing outside. The rooms have been updated and are in good shape. The staff was very friendly and that friendliness raised the overall rating.
We stopped at this location on our way to Mackinaw City and expected a reasonable place to spend the night. Well, this was so much more than reasonable; incredibly clean, very well appointed, roomy and comfortable. Separate sink area, built-in microwave and refrigerator, large desk area, many outlets for all electronics, remote enclosed in sanitary pouch as was the extra blanket. Sheets and spread extremely clean. And then there was bathe complimentary hot breakfast that included everything you could think of. All in all, we stayed a Dr o f night I. Our way back to PA. Dry gracious employees. Very impressed by their high standards.
It is difficult to find nice pet friendly hotels in Michigan. Best Western at Hartland was excellent. Do not let the appearance of the parking lot put you off. Needs repairs and seal coated. Rooms were recently updated and super clean. Breakfast was great with some different options than the norm.
It was conveniently located right off the freeway and close to shopping and dining areas. Perfect for long term stays. Staff and owner was amazing! Definitely would recommend for anyone to stay here!!
I stay at your location on a regular basis, your employees and all staff are very outgoing very knowledgeable on their jobs. This location is very clean very convenient For my business needs they are very helpful the breakfast is great and the staff is above board.
I have stayed in several Best Westerns over the years & really wasn't my first choice when selecting a hotel; however, I was very happy that we chose to stay at this Best Western when we were in town for a wedding! All of the staff were very friendly, especially Colleen. In addition, the rooms were in great shape and you could tell that they took pride in the appearance of the hotel! Great Value + Great Staff = The Perfect Stay! I would definitely recommend this hotel the next time you go to Harland!
We pulled into the Best Western and while the grounds were clean and kept up, I would have assumed from the exterior that the interior would be on the older side. Boy, was I wrong! You could tell everything was renovated and modern from the hotel lobby area to the rooms. They did a beautiful job! and the service was great! the young lady (didn't get her name) went above and beyond to settle a rewards question! and, I got a call from the front desk once I was in the room for a few minutes and able to check it out to make sure it was to my liking. It is obvious they are focused on customer service.
This hotel is conveniently located to the wedding venue we were attending. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. A good breakfast is provided. I highly recommend this Best Western.
I stayed at the Best Western while attending a wedding at Waldenwoods. At only a mile and a half away it provided a great value, was cleanly, comfortable, spacious, and had a attentive and nice staff. I would definitely stay here again.
Great location, comfortable, well-appointed room with great staff. I highly recommend this BW & will definitely stay here again when I return. They have a great indoor swimming pool area + a fantastic breakfast spread!
As the only hotel near 3 wedding venues, I would imagine they have a lot of excited guests. Our group was visiting outside at 1130pm and the staff member came to us and told us we needed to go to our rooms immediately. We apologized and told her we would quiet down. She just demanded that we "go to bed now". We are in our 50s and were not confrontational at all. She would not accept apologies and did it again the next evening. Poor delivery in speaking to their guests
Recently had a power outage and needed to stay in a hotel with my service dog and this particular hotel is in my town. The only hotel in town. The outside may look a bit old but when I opened the room door I was amazed. The room was beyond clean, the beds tightly made and all the linens were freshly laundered. The decor was updated and modern, including a microwave and ample sized mini fridge. The beds were more than comfortable, just the right amount of firmness and softness, one of the best nights sleep I've had in a hotel in years. And to say they are pet friendly would be an understatement. They are not only welcoming and friendly they have a puppy potty area complete with clean up bags and a receptacle to deposit them in. And I think every staff member said hello to my dog and remembered her name
Our group of 4 friends booked here for a golf weekend and we were very pleased with the service and the immaculate, comfortable, recently renovated rooms. We would definitely return. One note, the rooms have doors to an exterior walkway. If you don't have connecting rooms you do have to go outside to get from one room to another.
Very clean, newly remodeled, safe & quiet area, family friendly, great price!!! Free breakfast that was out of this world....bacon, potatoes, eggs, ham, cheese, waffles, cereal, toast, bagels, muffins!!! They even have hot sauce, honey, jam, peanut butter....fresh coffee and juice. Friendly staff! Easy checkout! WiFi too! We HIGHLY recommend this location. We travel a lot and this was by far one of our best hotel experiences.
This was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were so personal and helpful. The room was very clean & neat, and everything worked very well. The swimming pool was very clean, and reasonable temperature. We really enjoyed our stay here.
This Best Western is right off the expressway, easy to get to and easy to get back on the road. I was warmly greeted by the staff and in just a couple minutes I was in my room which was very clean, quiet and the bed was comfy. In the morning I awoke refreshed and had a nice breakfast in the lobby eating area, I had scrambled eggs, bacon, a blueberry muffin and a small yogurt. Grabbed a hot coffee to go and I was ready for my day !
We stayed there for 5 days and was very pleased with the service and the people that helped us were all very nice, accommodating and handled our needs perfectly well. The breakfast cafe were very clean (the service lady was very nice and clean crumbs and table all the time), well stocked with food, varied selection. Our room was clean and decent although sometimes, wifi is slow.
The check in was quick and the desk lady very friendly. We got a first floor room which was what we wanted. Room was clean and very up to date. No problems at all. The breakfast was one of the best! The eggs tasted like real eggs. The sausage and potatoes were fresh and very tasty. The breakfast room was spotless. The lady taking care of the breakfast & area does a fine job!! All in all a great place to stay. Staff were all very friendly.
Hotel is clean and seems recently renovated...or it could be just new. Excellent breakfast. Comparing the hotels in the area, this is a great value. I travel often and I had no experience at this location. I would highly recommend it.
I found the best place to stay near my home town of Milford Michigan at Hartland Michigan. The hotel was clean with large rooms and friendly, helpful staff. There was a convention there but they found me a room. I needed directions when heading back to Indianapolis and the printed off a map for me and explained the map.
My husband and and I had a good stay, the room was pretty pricey though $150 for a Saturday night. The room was clean and had a fridge, microwave, safe and toiletries. The pool was open until 11pm and was pretty big 3ft-8ft. The breakfast was good too, open 7-10am and had the essentials fruit, cereal, juices/coffee, muffins/bread, and yogurt. It also had an area to make waffles with toppings, biscuits and gravy, and an area to make breakfast burritos with eggs, sausage, cheese, salsa, ham and tortillas. It's more of a motel set up where the rooms open up to outside, but it was well kept.
Beautiful hotel. CLEAN rooms. Excellent staff. What more can I say. This hotel will be my new go to hotel when visiting relatives. I will also tell other family members about this Best Western location.
Excellent value. Large room with king bed, fridge and microwave. Extremely friendly staff. Manager even printed the cross word puzzle for my husband! Quiet location off the busy highway. Excellent breakfast with huge assortment of fruits, yoghurts, eggs, etc. Would definitely recommend.
My family stayed here to attend a wedding in the area. We had three rooms- one of them handicap accessible. One room brought their dogs. We were highly satisfied with the quality of the rooms and breakfast; I was concerned that being pet-friendly might mean the rooms would smell, but they were better than most no-pet hotels!. Everyone liked the strawberry pancakes and upscale topping options like chocolate chips, powdered sugar, and fruits. The coffee was better than I am used to at a hotel. The location was extremely convenient and even relatively pleasant with nearby meadows; I saw several unique species of birds from the parking lot alone!
They were amazing to us and fixed a mistake that I made in the booking process with no problems. I thought we were in big trouble with no where to stay. Thankfully they're all about costumer service and willing to work with you.
Average rooms A bit pricey considering location and room quality Breakfast staff was rude We stay here often but refuse to do breakfast because of staff They make you feel like you are putting them out even though it's their job
We were very happy with the comfortable handicap capability of the room, the friendly staff and excellent choose of food for breakfast. Very good coffee as well. A very enjoyable stay and we will be back.
The staff couldn't have been nicer. Roomy accommodations, very clean, fine amenities; everything an ordinary person could want. Plus the free breakfast--eggs, waffles, fruit, cereal, juice, pastries. I would stay here ANY TIME. I'd even like to live here.
Best Western of Hartland is a great place for group wedding guests. The staff were friendly and personable. The lobby is clean and offers coffee and flavored water. The rooms are spacious, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. Great place for memories!
Clean and comfortable right off the highway.. I would suggest this hotel and I would stay there again. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom and room was recently updated. Loby was clean and the clerk was helpful and pleasant at check in.
Like the over all experience very much! Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Easy to get to. Much shopping nearby. Easy to check in and out. The fan in the room was great to block out any noise that there might be.
Staff was beyond cordial, room was modern and very clean, place had a pool (we didn't use) breakfast was a nice buffet with plenty of seating. I called the desk directly and got a better rate and a AAA discount with my reservation after trying on hotel search websites. Motel sits right off the highways, but back enough that there is not much noise. Restaurants of fast food and nice sit down places very close by.
We stayed one night while visiting a relative, booked at the last minute, April 2016. I asked for a very quiet room, and was an upper floor, next to a room being renovated, so no neighbor noise. The manager/owner was very understanding, and in the morning, we were very pleased with the breakfast. The room was extremely clean, bed comfortable, no scents! We surely will stay again when visiting family.
This is a small hotel but very well kept. It has a fridge and coffee. There's an indoor pool and laundry area. Area felt safe. We were visiting family and this was close by. It was a little over $100 per night, a little high but a nice stay.
Very Good Value, Excellent Staff, Very Satisfied Overall. Note Rated location as average because it is a bit of a drive for venues in Detroit. However the drive was really inconsequential relative to all other attributes.
Very pleased with our stay. We had a death in the family and this was a convenient place. We had no problems. Beds were very nice. Heat was great. Didn't get to visit the pool. Had other things to do.
We were at this property due to a storm power outage in our area. We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness, service and quality of the facility. We had passed this location many times but it was our first time staying there. We would not hesitate to recommend this location to out of town visitors
Amazingly clean! A very classy place to stay. The breakfast server has gluten free options which was wonderful! So glad we chose to stay there! When we getaway again we will certainly chose Best Western of Heartland!
Great place to stay if you are in the area or traveling between upstate and downstate Michigan. Good breakfast with variation if you are there for more then one day. Rooms comfortable, newly updated and quiet.
We recently spent two nights here and had a great stay. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was recently renovated and very comfortable. A fridge and microwave were great to have. WiFi is free and good. The indoor pool is large, clean and comfortable. There is no gym here although there is a fitness place nearby. Breakfast is free and very good - s wide selection of hot and cold breakfast foods. We'd be happy to stay again.
The rooms were clean and newly remodeled. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. We were there for wedding and it was close to the location of the wedding. The location was ideal because it was close to two major roads.
I honestly loved this place and would 100% stay again. When you walk in it did NOT smell like a hotel room! It was so clean and fresh. The breakfast was a regular hotel free breakfast but somehow better then the usual. They had the usual but with all the fixings. Wraps for the eggs to make a breakfast barrito and toppings for the pancakes/waffles. Pool (indoor) area was chilly (it is October after all) but huge! So we ended up hanging out in there at one of the tables for a bit. The kids did swim for a few minutes each. Would for sure for sure for sure go back!
Amazingly nice room for the price point. Updated and clean as can be. Nice beds and sheets. Can be a little noisy on the road side of the hotel. Park in front of the rooms which is handy. All in all a great stay for a reasonable price.
Was a very nice place. Rooms were very clean and ready for us a little early. Breakfast items were plentiful, fresh and good. The lady working the breakfast was amazingly friendly and cheerful. Also the staff that checked us in and out very friendly and knowledgeable. Easy access off of expressway. Would recommend this hotel to everyone staying in the Hartland area .
The staff was very helpful, especially Ken, and although I spent only one night here due to an allergy to a newly remodeled room smells, he assisted me in cancelling a booking I had made on the Expedia website which I will never use again. In the future I will call direct to the Best Western/Hartland.
Convenient to stay close to Ann Arbor, very clean and comfortable, nice breakfast, friendly staff who seemed glad we chose them as our "hosts"... Definitely will stay again when we travel south for the U of M games!
We needed to stay near Hartland and this hotel was the closest. It was terrific. A great room that was quiet, which is frequently hard to find. We didn't have the breakfast because we already had plans to meet with some friends, but it all looked and smelled delicious.
Got a decent rate ($95) for a room with 2 queen beds on Labor Day weekend. The front desk staff was excellent and they allowed up to check in really early as well as letting us check out a little late. Room was in good shape and clean throughout. Shower was good, plenty of power. Wifi worked alright, I didn't use it too much. My kids used the pool which seemed pretty good, water was warm. Breakfast was very good with the amount of options it gave us. Waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, breakfast burrito, cereal, etc. If we are in the area for a soccer tournament again next year, we'll probably be staying here again.
Check in quick and easy, not friendly, but not unfriendly either. Morning staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are newly redone, clean and are quite nice with plenty of space. Internet works well. It is a motel....and a motel with smoking posts frequently throughout including upstairs close to some guest doors. I was never able to walk to my room without breathing smoke. If smoke does not bother you then I highly recommend this motel. It has wonderful management. If smoke bothers you - - I would hesitate staying here until they are able to designate one smoking area away from the building. I hope they do - - then it will rate 10 stars for a motel.
Not a lot of choices for accommodations in this area. Booked on line at the Best Western website. No problems. Room was very clean and well equipped with microwave, mini fridge, hair dryer etc. Appeared that rooms had recently been revamped as the outside of the hotel is still a bit dated. Convenient location. Never had a chance to use the indoor pool or have the free breakfast. Went with some other people and we both had room with King beds. AC/fan worked fine. I'd say the only downside was I felt it was pricey.
I was staying here for a wedding and it was a nice hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. I had no problems connecting to the internet. My only complaint is the breakfast. We went to the breakfast around 9 and they were out of many of the items. There were no more potatoes, cheese, and many other items. They even ran out of coffee. I figured they were just busy and in a few minutes they would be restocked. Nothing was restocked the whole time I was down there (about 30 minutes). Other than the breakfast, we enjoyed our stay very much.
Wonderful dog friendly Hotel! was so nice to just park by your door and walk to a nice grass area and was very quiet during the night.. Employees very nice.. would definitely stay here again and it was easy to find
Excellent staff, clean rooms, great breakfast, pool for family who traveled from all over the country for wedding on 8/6/16! Especially appreciate the night staff!! Thank you for everything Thank you for your hospitality during the 5 days !! Great location!
Was a pleasant stay. Clean and friendly. My employees require a breakfast and it was wonderful. The grounds could use a picnic table for outside relaxation, grilling. My employees like to grill dinner and have a few beers after a long day. We advised they will be adding an area soon.
I visit people in this area and have stayed at this Best Western no less than 8 times. It has always been clean, had friendly staff, and was good. This year, 2016, they have renovated all guest rooms and my assessment is that this is a great place to stay! The breakfast buffet, included in the room charge, is very full and delicious.
good location, excellent staff, and easy to find, and the staff was very helpful . great breakfast bar and lots to chose from. if you go to hartland, this is the place to stay, for the price and quality of the product. centrally located to conference center and a shopping mall and local restaurants in the area.
We were so pleased with our room at the Best Western in Hartland, MI. Our room (a suite) was very newly remodeled. The space was very comfortable with a queen bed and a pull-out sofa bed, which was new. The space of the room worked quite well for us, which included 2 big flat screen tv's. Everything was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good with many choices. We didn't get to use the pool, but it looked quite inviting. Our room was good value for the money. We originally stayed here because of bad weather in MI and needed to stop, but after staying this time, We will return!
We come to Hartland from Canada to visit family and stay at this hotel every time. The rooms are clean, quiet and a nice size. The hotel is close to a lot of amenities and shopping. Most of all we love the pool, we had to drag our 3 year old out of the pool after an hour kicking and screaming!
Nice hotel. Newly remodeled 2016. Friendly staff. Great breakfast my daughter can't stop talking about the potatoes. lol I true cringe at paying for a hotel room and getting a FREE (cold) breakfast is suppose to soften the blow to my wallet. But this Best Westerns breakfast was better than McDonalds. A room (with pool) and a restaurant meal 4 for $126 my wallet can handle that.
We originally booked 2 rooms, 1ST FLOOR(1 king & 1 double-queen). We arrived & were given 2 king rooms 2ND FLOOR. No other rooms were available, so due to family situation we had to book a 3rd room for one night until the next day when they promised 1st floor adjoining 1 king & 1 double Queen room. The next morning they failed to have what we requested & was promised AGAIN!!! POOR COMMUNICATION AMONG THE STAFF! Rooms, however, were clean, but we had to move twice due to miscommunication & NEVER got what we reserved initially. Great breakfast & close to shopping & restaurants.
This hotel is conveniently located on an easy on, easy off expressway exit. Upon arrival I was greeted warmly and quickly in my room . The rooms have recently been renovated with VERY nice upgrades, from the granite counter tops to the flat screen TVs , very comfortable beds, nice artwork on the walls, fast wireless internet, and CLEAN bathrooms and carpeting. Very reasonable priced for rooms that have that level of decor and comfort. Nearby, there are a variety of restaurants, from pizza to finer dining and fast food. There are two major chain drug stores within 500' from the property to grab quick snacks or last minute items one may have forgotten. A grocery store is right across the street, as well as gas stations to fill up before you head out.
updated rooms are beautiful! breakfast good. Internet/computers free WIFI. This requires 200 letters to complete but I have nothing more to add. We always stay at Best Western.... Only drawback is that this one is just below the Interstate.

We selected the Best Western, Hartland, MI for an overnight stay because it was easy access to M-59, US 23 and I-75. From the outside it looks like a typical truck stop motel. But give it a chance. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms have been newly renovated and are clean, safe and comfortable. And its location gives easy access to restaurants and entertainment in Flint, Brighton, Ann Arbor and Detroit.
Great rate and customer service !!! Convenient location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Saved $90 for 2 nights for Paige's Promise benefit to accommodate a comedian from Florida. Spoke to Brandon the general manager and was wonderful.
If you have stayed here in the past, please give it another shot. We did and were pleasantly surprised! Housekeeping has improved and the rooms and lobby have been completely renovated. We had a nice stay and would not hesitate about returning.
I stay at this hotel every week for business. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Nothing fancy. Just a good clean place to stay and get a good nights rest.
The hotel is right off US 23. It is an older hotel, but the interior has been completely renovated. The room was well done and for the price you couldn't beat the value. There is an indoor heated pool that also was clean and well maintained. It was just a very pleasant stay.
We could not ask for a better place! The employees were gracious, friendly, and very helpful! We left early so did not take advantage of breakfast, however we have stayed there before and it was extremely good, plenty for travelers. The place is very well kept and we had no worries while there. Wonderful place!!
The Service was great. the hotel needs general manitance.caulking, weather striping, and etc. The Breakfast was good and staff was friendly. A Vac and trash was left on the second floor balcony after the morning clean up. It looked bad. '
Good value. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, citrus infused water in the lobby, clean pool and in the process of renovating all the rooms. Breakfast includes make your own belgian waffles or pancakes.
The hotel is remodeling, had screws, nails and razor blades laying on the ground where we were walking to our room, This all should of been cleaned up, thankfully no one stepped on anything. Had a large group of people partying in the parking lot till 3 am, complained to the front desk at 1, they did nothing. Worst stay anywhere ever, nice clean room, everything else was bad.
We booked 5 rooms. They were clean, and accommodating. The hotel is in a great location to get our guests to and from the wedding venue. Breakfast was a plus and we were treated very kindly by everyone.
Nice place to stay as it is within walking distance from shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was great and the coffee was the best. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The best part is that this hotel takes DOGS!!! Will always stay here when I come this way.
Stayed here one night for a wedding reception. Nice hotel, recently remodeled. Rooms are new and very clean. Rooms have refrigerator, tv, and microwave. Nice if you need this. Refrigerator was a little noisy so I ended up unplugging it at night. Staff was very nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Beds are a little hard. Lots of pillows to chose from. This location is about a mile from Waldenwoods Resort. We had a wedding reception to go to there. This is the closest hotel and was a good choice. For a budget hotel, no real complaints. I would stay here again. Rooms are quiet. We were in the middle on the second floor. The hotel is realively quiet. I did not hear any people. Once in awhile you would hear a semi on the freeway. The noise level was not bothersome. I hope that the hotel mgmt replaces the stairways. I would not recommend walking down the stairs with heels on.
This is a nice Hotel/Motel and it is in the process of being totally renovated, It is close to M23 highway and easy to find. Three or four restaurants across the road and I would highly recommend the Irish Pup and Grill.
We visit family in Michigan a few times a year. We like this hotel because of it location mostly. From M-59, you can get most anywhere easily. We also like the friendliness of the staff. For the most part the hotel is clean and comfy. The only thing I/we dislike is getting to the breakfast room because it is not attached to the rooms. If it is raining, snowing or if you have difficulty walking; it can be a problem. Other than that I would suggest staying at this hotel!
For the price - this hotel is great. No frills. But the rooms have been newly renovated and mine was very clean and comfortable. The hotel has very easy access on and off the highway and you can get to a variety of different places within 30 minutes. And the staff were very friendly and customer service oriented - wanted to make sure I had everything I needed and my stay was good. Definitely worth the price I paid.
I had a flight cancelled in northern MI due to bad weather and the next available flight down to TX was out of Detroit Metro. I stopped off at this motel the day before flying out. It is in a convenient location and the room was clean. There are several nearby restaurants to eat at. They also had breakfast available, which was very convenient.
Room was clean, modern, all in working order. Vending machines were out of order, but not a real problem. We just went without treats. Bed was hard for our tastes, but over all, room was great. Would recommend to others.
This hotel completely changed after their renovations!! I loved the new rooms...so modern and chic. My favorite part of the stay was the hot breakfast; egg, sausage, biscuit--this was so convenient and it saved us some money! Great location; surrounded my convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc.
One of our most comfortable stays at a Best Western. We enjoyed your recently renovated room and the comfort of the bed. Internet didn't work well, but being new, it probably needs some adjustment. We like that we could bring our dogs, but wish a portion of the cost could be refundable upon post inspection. May be using BW more in the future.
My son and I had just driven 10+ hours and just wanted a good night's sleep before the second leg..another 10 hour drive. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. Although near the highway for easy on and off, there was no road noise. We were first in line for breakfast...so everything fresh and tasty. We would stay again.
My grandson and I stayed one night and was very happy with our nice clean rooms. Exceptional breakfast. Only complaint we had were the people we had next to us, very noisy late and very early but can't take away from the hotel with that as that was not their fault. I will definitely stay again!
Absolutely wonderful! Aside from incomparable customer service, meticulously cleaned and modern style rooms, multiple amenities for use and great pricing-- we are so grateful that with limited time we chose to stay here! A very special thank you to both Kayla and Colleen who went above and beyond to ensure us the most pleasant stay. Best Western of Hartland should give recognition to the two of you; we'll be sharing our experience and emphasizing how far above completely satisfied we are! Thanks again!
My daughter and I were caught in snowstorm and needed a place to stay. This hotel is immediately off the highway. We booked the last room. Double bed, refrigerator, microwave, coffee, pool, full amazing hot breakfast, cable, free wifi. Rooms were very clean. Hotel is rennovating, and we stayed in older section. Can't wait to see new rooms. Staff was very nice. I would definitely recommend staying here. Also 15 minute from Tanger Outlet in Howell and 15 minutes from Ann Arbor.
This is a clean nice hotel. Exceptional for the price. The breakfast is excellent. The personal is friendly and extremely helpful. The room is clean, just a bit dated. The bathroom is also small. The beds were clean and comfortable.
A hot tub was pictured on the website. This is the what I wanted most of all, and unfortunately this hotel did not have one. The breakfast bar was ok, but staff stood around in front of the coffee maker, and rudely reached over me to re-stock scrambled eggs without so much as an excuse me. All people, but especially those in customer service, should remember their manners no matter how busy they think they are.
Solid hotel. Better than average breakfast with multiple choices, not just coffee and rolls. Clean and well-maintained. Very helpful staff, who reported that it will be updated and remodeled. No complaints and easy on/off US 23.
Overall good experience at the hotel. This was our second time to stay here and we enjoyed the stay very much. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The older cfl bulbs over the bathroom mirror are a little weird - not the "instant on" type - so it take a few second to brighten. That's a very minor inconvenience. The only issue we had was the WiFi. For two of the three days we stayed the connection show "limited" which means no connection. We could only use a secondary very weak signal. This too was not that much of an inconvenience for this trip.
Very good hotel for the price, and the staff are fantastic, going out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and your needs are met. Amenities are typical for a Best Western, though it also has a decent size indoor pool. Internet was a little buggy to log on to initially, but functioned fine after that, and that might have been my device's fault.
The hotel was centrally located and easy to get to for our visit to Hartland for a death in the family. We reserved 3 rooms and everyone was happy with the rooms and the staff. They went our of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as they could. Breakfast was hot and there was a wide selections of items on the breakfast bar. Overall, I am sure that we would stay there again on our next trip to see family - - - Ski's
Great value for the business traveler!! Front Lobby recently remodeled and updated very sharp. Very friendly and helpful management and staff all answered my questions and supplied my needs. Great location for area businesses and restaurants. Thanks for everything!
This property is currently conducting a face lift and many long waited updates, will be interesting to see how this looks 90days from now. It is a fair location. It has good places within walking distance to eat.
Less than 1 mile from the Waldenwoods where we had a Wedding to attend. Front desk staff were fabulous, our AMAZING maid with a HUGE smile brought me EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA additional pillows to our room. Clean VERY CLEAN room! Breakfast was HOT & DELICIOUS! Wow! Wow! Wow! Will we be back? YES YES WE WILL & WE WILL & CONTINUE TO HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEST WESTERN of Hartland to our family & friends!
Stayed for two nights. The room was clean and very comfortable. Brittany was our housekeeper, very nice, great personality. She accommodated all of our requests. The breakfast was one of the best we have had. Pauline was the breakfast attendant, she kept the buffet well stocked and clean. My wife had dietary restrictions due to surgery, Pauline was very friendly and accommodating, she handled all requests with a smile. The entire staff were very friendly at all times. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Our three day experience at Best Western in Heartland, Michigan; was suburb, no problems, clean, neat and comfortable rooms, everything you need is there. The hot tubs are fabulous, and there breakfasts are outstanding. Best Western is the place to go, you won't regret it. We stayed in other motels and Hotels, in the past, but believe me Best Western is the way to go and the rewards program is super also.
Hartland was about 7 miles from my meeting place, but well worth the drive. The accommodations were equal or better than closer inns, but less expensive. Highland, Milford and White Lake, MI are all within an easy drive.
for a good while we stoped staying at best western, they have been not a clean or good place. this is a great, clean, place to stay. price is right and far below other near this location. we forgot we were at a best western and thought we went to a much higher motel. this is a good stay for a good night sleep.
I was very surprised by this hotel. It has an older style which often is run down but this property is in very good condition and was very clean. The pool is great and the lodge and breakfast area has been redone. I will definitely stay hear the next time I have business in the area. The staff was very friendly.
Well, we had a fairly good two night stay at this hotel. I have mixed reviews. While the beds were comfortable and breakfast delicious. As well as knowing they are going through full renovations, which you can tell is needed here and there. However way better than some hotels we have stayed in even with renovations needed. Great location close to restaurants shopping and gas. Had a corner room was quiet did not hear the expressway very much. Only had a issue with an item in the bathroom hanging from the shower. I give them credit for trying to switch our rooms however it was very late and my son and husband were crashed out in bed already, as I made my way into the bathroom. Simple cleaning miss is understandable, however hard to believe that when they say they check these rooms twice a day they would miss this. I was only given a minimal itty bitty discount for having to drag this item down to the front desk. However again I thank them because when we left they offered to take more off the room because of the incident. Great hotel outside of the mishap would definitely stay here again.
The staff couldn't be nicer or pay more attention to detail. They just remodeled the office, breakfast room and heated indoor pool. Breakfast good and fresh. Didn't use the pool, but looked nice. The rooms are a little dated, but very good condition and very clean. I was amazed that they are planning to remodel them in Oct 2015 as they really don't need it. They also have a nice range of rooms from handicapped to two queens to king with a recliner. We had three rooms and they were helpful keeping us close to each other.
If you are comfortable with a hotel that is outdoor entrance this was a decent hotel. The staff was friendly and professional. I called to make the reservation because I needed a handicapped accessible room for one of the members of our group. They helped by putting the other members of the group in rooms next door to provide easier access for assistance if needed.
