Best Western Fairmont

This hotel was great! Front desk staff was amazing. Very friendly and willing to help with anything I needed. If we are in Fairmont again, this is the hotel I would choose. Awesome to have the Green Mill attached and McDonalds and Taco Bell very close.

Common areas were nice and room seemed nice until I saw the trash in the corner and pile of trash against wall by night stand. Makes you wonder if the room was cleaned at all. Also the toilet doesn't flush properly.

The staff was lovely and very helpful. Our room location was perfect and close enough to the door to the parking lot that wrangling two littles was not a problem. The pull out couch for the littles was very easy to set up and the bedding was readily available. My only complaint would be that I wish the lighting in the entry to the room or in the bathroom was a bit brighter so getting makeup on for holiday dinner was a bit easier.

Very good location and the stay was uneventful which is always good when traveling. Stayed here before when it was a Holiday Inn, it has definitely improved over time. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend if passing through Fairmont, MN

2nd stay in last 6 mo. The 1st the ac didn't work. This time there was many black bugs in the room & a half eaten dog treat under the bed. No maid service during our stay. No problem with that on a holiday but we stayed 3 nights. 3rd stay in 2 years and this hotel seems to be going downhill more every time. Best Western used to be one of my favorites but I am super disappointed in this hotel now & not sure that I will stay again.

There is no breakfast offer at this location and you have to go to the attached restaurant to get your own breakfast, The room and hallway smells, had to open the window to air out the room. Microwave is not available in the room except in the common area at the hotel store. With the price they charge this location is not a fair value Hotel

The staff is friendly, the room is clean and the bed was very comfortable. The Green Mill Cafe on the property has a great food selection. Unfortunately they dont have a free breakfast offered. Overall I do recommend.

After searching for miles, this BW was the first we found with vacancy and the room set up we needed. Our king, beauty rest mattress was the BEST bed we've slept in during our last 17 day trip across the US. The pillows were perfect, the room was spotless and smelled so good. The shower didn't have the best pressure, but the BW shampoo and lotion smelled amazing. Upon walking in the lobby, it smelled fresh and clean. We were greeted by Brooke, who also helped answer our questions over the phone. She was one of the best motel employees I've ever met. She was friendly, quick, hospitable, & knew her town and BW front to back. It was our first time in Minnesota & Fairmont, the bacon capital, and our trip couldn't have been better anywhere else. The motel hosted a s'more roasting on the patio (BACON SMORES!) & will continue those throughout the summer every Wednesday night 6:30-8:30. We spent time in the heated pool and jacuzzi, which was perfect. The pool temperature was warmer than the hot springs we visited in South Dakota! The jacuzzi was a little too hot for kiddos, but great for the adults. We enjoyed the game area upstairs with view of the pool. My toddler twins and their brother loves the foozball table and giant connect four board. It was so nice to unwind in there. The last morning, we enjoyed the complimentary coffee in the lobby. Again, the best we've had on our 2+ week across country. I can't recommend this BW enough.

Perfect family hotel! Clean rooms & building, perfect pool & youth lounge area. Attached to awesome bar & restaurant. Shout out to Lyn & Jenna at the front desk for going above & beyond to accommodate my families needs when our car broke down after we checked out. You are forever our Minnesota hero's. In addition, shout out to the amazing Morgan in the bar/restaurant and all the other staff we met throughout our stay. Five stars for this location!

Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Friendly front desk staff . Room was very very clean and bed was very comfortable. Convenient as it was right off the freeway. Pleasant restaurant attached with friendly, competent wait staff. Bar type food, but good.

Old school Holiday Inn with pool, full restaurant and bar. The facility layout is a little dated but maintained well. The rooms are regularly updated with new beds and decor. A few years ago they installed an elevator, so getting luggage up to the second floor isn't such a hassle. The bar and restaurant (Green Mill) are nice. Lots of locals use these so they don't have the typical lonely feel of hotel amenities. The room rates are pretty high, but typical for the area. Convenient to I-90, but 1-2 miles from downtown Fairmont businesses. Staff is friendly and helpful.

overpriced for what you get, beds were uncomfortable, found dirty masks and loose change by bed, very noisy at pool side til around 11:30, made it hard to get a 4 yr old to sleep! they tried overcharging for the room other than what i was quoted, restaurant was over priced for mediocre food! waitress very unattentive, brought our salad and appetizers , walked away didnt come back for awhile so we had to find our own silverware! no breakfast was a joke! beds were too high for a little one so i asked for a rollaway bed, got charged extra for it, ridiculous!!! hot tub in pool area had a dirty bottom (floor) grose!

The room reeked of mildew and cigarette smoke even though the hotel is non smoking. The carpets were dark and looked old, unsure of how clean they were. The front desk was very helpful and let us test out several different rooms to make sure the smell was ok. Got a room close to the pool. Chlorine smell is better than cigarette smell. The beds were comfy and sheets looked very clean. All in all, would not recommend.

Ok if you can tolerate dogs! The minute We stepped foot in our room all you smelt was dog urine. It was so strong. Especially in front of the door. Definitely would not stay here again. Normally I would have made them give us a new room but because of the whole Covid thing I wasn't sure if they where social distancing between guest rooms or having rooms sit empty certain amount of days between guest arriving so I decided it was better to suck it up & warn others with allergies & non pet owners about this!!!
