Je m’inscris Very comfortable beds, the rooms are clean, the kitchenette is handy for meal prep when you don't want to eat out. Close to the interstate so some associated noise on one side of the building, the carpets are a little worn, but overall it was a pleasant stay and I will stay there again when I travel through there again.
Outside area and lobby area was clean and well kept. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was not as good as most places I have stayed so we ate elsewhere. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Despite hotel being right next to I-40, the traffic noise was not noticeable. Slept very well. Nice hotel. We will stay here again.
We booked our room online only because it's cheaper, I would prefer calling the hotel directly however cheaper online. We checked in on September 23rd around 10:30 pm & had an excellent front desk lady. She made you feel welcomed however that was the last of seeing anyone at the front desk. We tried 4 different times in the morning for maybe a late check out, no one was ever at the desk . I talked to a maid upstairs and she said don't worry about it, we didn't need it we were able to get out by 11 am however still no one at the desk even after dropping off the cart. I wanted to give a 5 star however just couldn't with everything else that was bad. Room was clean, mattress great one of the best we have slept in, AC worked good so we had a great night sleep. We had the king suite & it was worth the money for the room. However, breakfast was terrible, no food, the juice machine broke, the waffle iron with an old waffle left stuck on it, one bagel, cream cheese left sitting out, very dirty! Once again none around to help. Not a way to operate a hotel
This is one of the nicest Best Westerns in Oklahoma. I've stayed here multiple times and will go back. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns in Oklahoma. Thomas and his staff are gracious and incredible!! They love their workplace and strive to make everyone feel important!! I don't know if I will ever make it back to OK but if I do I will stay here! That bed was incredible!!! I didn't want to leave!
Very nice people. Close to Rodeo and large truck stop. Very clean. The price was reasonable and great value. The breakfast had good scrambled eggs and those nice flat sausage patties. The lady that checked me in was super nice and made me feel welcome. Highly recommend
Great Hotel for a overnight recharge. This hotel is a must stop for me when traveling on I-40. It is clean and quiet. The owners and staff are wonderful. Always make my Pup and I feel welcome. The rooms are large and modern. I will continue staying here and Highly recommend it.
Clean room. Comfortable beds. Friendly manager. My only problem was the strong musky odor. I would recommend bringing a fan with you the room gets muggy even with the air conditioning on. Overall it was a good place to stay on our way to the Grand Canyon.
Very comfortable beds and fluffy pillows. A very specious rooms and the rooms here very clean.. AC worked well.. No noice. Very close to I-40 so easy access.. Hot Breakfast was good with Real fresh scrambled eggs.. fluffy.. Sausages also tasted good.. greatly recommend for anyone to stay.. Will be back again soon..
Location was great and the breakfast was adequate. Had to deal with a detour, but were able to find the property pretty quickly.
This was the best, staff was wonderful and the Manager was a very caring person and makes sure you have everything you need.
Best western plus should be called. Best western minus the hotel is in a terrible area. It is an area that has rundown and unoccupied hotels. The only guest that stay at the area are people that work on the highway the outside the hallways are filthy. The room is terrible. They mislead you by indicating that there are sweet, there is just two beds with a divider in it
Hotel needs better upkeep and maintenance. Everthnng looks tired and worn. Exterior grounds are dirty as well.
Very nice hotel, close to the highway (so easy to get to), we were next to some very good restaurants. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. We will definitely stay at again on our way thru.
I've stayed here a lot and service is always top notch. The manager is the hardest working one I've ever seen at any hotel. He's always helped me get a room no matter what time of day I show up. I will definitely be staying here again the next time that I'm in town.
Very clean and room had everything you would need. Beds were very comfortable. Very affordable, staff were pleasant. Wish we could have tried the breakfast but we leave early to get on the road to our destination.
The bed had a dried blood stain & the lady putting the breakfast away even though it wasn't even 9:30 yet being rude to us when asked & then not letting us even grab something just kept taking everything away
Worst experience of our Lives...We booked hotel at 9:30 pm and called to let the hotel know of our arrival in about one hour. Tired from driving 12 hours, upon arriving, the manager was unfriendly and said he was tired. The lobby was dingy, and we were feeling very uncomfortable there; we asked to see the room, and he yelled and told us he was working all day. He again yelled and said to leave a driver's license which I did. My husband told him not to speak in an attacking, irrate manner, and words. Upon arriving to the room, turned on the lights, there was a roach on the wall right above the bed. We told him we could not stay there. He yelled at me, and used profanity to me in a very hostile and irate manner. He said no refunds, used the F word. We hurried and got out of there. We were so upset ! I told him perhaps he was in the wrong business. We called The Holiday Inn Express, across the way, and thankfully, we had a very clean, and pleasant stay! This was an abusive experience. I have not written a review of a hotel in over 5 years, but this was bad.
Skip this one if you expect a brand name experience. We stayed to as a BW promotion. We payed >$50/night more because this and nearby brand names were full and it had dirty, loid dogs. Breakfast was blahhh
We've stayed here before so it was an easy choice to return for our 3 day square dance festival. Staff are helpful & friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean along with comfortable beds & pillows. Breakfast is good with the usual selections. Plus they have new coffee machine for cappuccinos, lattes, etc, very nice. Convenient location and good rates.
I was assaulted by the manager who didn't identify himself to me and tried to force his way into my room over $20 pet fee that I paid in the lobby before I went to my room however due to system being down and or incompetentce of new employee who couldn't get in touch with manager during my 40 minute check in process. The staff harassed me multiple times banging on my door. I informed them that I'd just spent 40min to check in and was in my room after a long day of driving. I said I would come to the desk in the morning and check out and pay the $20 pet fee. The manager then called my room YELLING at me about the pet fee and would not have a rational calm collected conversation. I told him again I have paid for my room and I will pay for the $20 pet fee in the morning as I tried earlier multiple times entering my card in the machine and it said transaction approved on the last time. I hung up the phone and a man came and banged on my door yelling at me to leave immediately or pay $20. I opened the door and asked him not to yell at me and he continued to tell at me about $20 and then he pushed his way into the door pushing the door into me. I told him to leave and he refused and continued to try and push the door open of my room. I told him to call the police. He said 'No I'm not calling the police, you call the police'. I had to retreat to relative safety, I tried to shut my door however he blocked the door from shutting wedging his foot in between the door frame and my door. I managed to get his foot out of the way and finally shut and lock my door. He remained outside while I called 911 and got police on the way. He yelled thru the door and banged on the door several times. This is outrageous that your staff would act in the assaultive, irrational manner and physically try and force his way into my room without identifying himself. I am a single female traveling alone and would have been well within my rights to defend my self with lethal force from this assault and breaking and entering. This is completely inexcusable and illegal. I was afraid and anxious all night. Something needs to be done.
Great staff beautiful clean hotel highly recommend. On cross country trip and this was the best yet. Had a beautiful tribute for metal of honor veterans. Staff was very helpful finding things in arearea.
Very well run hotel. Great accomodations and very nice staff make this a top of the line experience at a reasonable price. New hotel and a nice hot breakfast add to the pluses. It's a bit hard to find, even though it is right off 40, but once you are there, it is a great stay.
We were welcomed by the friendliest staff, very clean building and well managed. We brought our dog and it couldn't have worked out smoother. If your in elk city, it's a great place to settle down. Thanks for the experience!
We arrived late and left early but it was a great hotel—right off I-40. Room was very nice—clean and comfortable. Prices great and very nice staff. Breakfast was ok—typical hotel breakfast but it was warm and clean and they had a good variety. Even my daughter who is hard to please said it was a perfect place to stay while traveling.
No internet service at all. Breakfast items were gone long before the scheduled breakfast hours ended. Coffee machine worked so I had coffee but nothing else. Complained about these items at check out but got only a shoulder shrug in reply. This should not be a Best Western hotel.
What a shitshow! Got there at 2 am and there was no one at the front desk. Called a dozen times, knocked on every door to find someone, called corporate and they called the same number we did. We were in the lobby for 41 minutes then decided to leave. Now having a hassle to get a refund. Also asked for a credit as this is absurd and so unprofessional. It's now 2:50 am and checking in at Holiday Inn. This is unacceptable Beat Western!!
When I booked our room, I noted in the requests that we would like a crib. It is listed as a room amenity right along with hairdryers and the bulit-in kitchenettes. I then called right after booking and spoke with a female who said yes, they had a crib available and that she would have it in our room upon arrival. We booked the room at the military rate. I definitely should have read over the guest charges when we arrived as they charged 15 dollars for use of the crib, although there is no mention of this on the website, phone app, and was not stated by either the woman, or the man who checked us in, and my card was taken before I was given a reciept anyway. I noticed the stay cost more than i was expecting on my banking app the next morning and went to ask about it at the front desk to ask about it. As I explained my concerns the man at the front desk told me it was a charge to the room and that it didn't matter that it was not stated anywhere or that noone told me of the extra charge the multiple times the crib was discussed. He claimed I should have asked if there was an extra charge. He repeated over and over that it was a charge for the crib, which I understood. I asked for the manager, and he stated he was the manager. I asked for the owner and corporate information, and both he refused to give to me. He then stated the owner was "god the father" and said he would summon "god the father" for me. He asked for my father's number(??). He stated he did not care if we stayed again. He was rude, condescending, and very unprofessional. Other than that issue: The breakfast was minimal, the pancake maker was broken but there was no sign to let patrons know this, there were fruit flys all over the bagels and english muffins, the eggs were cold, we had to ask for peanut butter (they only gave us one) and muffins, the potato fries container lid was broken, the cereal was hard (old?), the spoons next to cereal were covered in cereal dust, the milk was sour, there was nothing to put on the yogurt, breakfast was removed before 9:30 (as well as coffee maker tuned off), the water bottle filling station by the icemaker was showing that the filter needed replaced (when asked about that he said it was just changed and that the light would go off at any moment, but it was still red when we left and had been since the day before), the pool was not in working order and they had a garden hose from the pantry out the side door to the pool which resulted in house flys all over the brakfast area and hotel (we had one in our room). The most upsetting thing about our stay to me, though, was the extra charge and treatment I received at the front desk. I was looking at three stars until we spoke, as the rate and room seemed nice. Again, 0 stars, I do not recommend!
Find another hotel in this town. This hotel smelled and there were cat feces in the hallway. I could not get out of this hotel fast enough, we only stayed for one day. Very run down and rooms not availabe even hours after check in time.
The male front desk person was very unfriendly and became increasingly rude to different people of our group and was even hateful to a child who was sent down by a parent to ask for a luggage cart. His response was something to the effect of why don't you go to Walmart and buy one yourself. This same person was purposefully misleading to the head person of our group during the initial call to set up our group reservation about the hotel pool. I'm assuming that he could tell that having a working pool would be a make or break for our group as to if we stayed there or not, when asked multiple times if they had a pool he replied yes. When we get there, check in, and inquire about where the pool is; he said it's not working. We asked him why he would say that they have a pool during the reservation process if in fact there is not and his rude response was, “you asked if we had a pool and we do, you never asked about it working.” After we all got back from the ball fields the first evening and got back to our room, we notice housekeeping had not been in to clean or leave fresh linen/towels. When asked about this, I was rudely told they clean the rooms after we check out. This is not a huge deal but would have been nice if the room was stocked with adequate towels and linen to accommodate a couple nights stay for a family of four. Had to ask for more, which again is not a huge deal, but again was met with the attitude of inconvenience and annoyance. The last problem is the inadequate parking for the hotel. If you came back to the hotel early in the afternoon it's not a huge problem, but when you come back later you are lucky to find one. This is especially because not only the parking lot being too small for the size of the hotel, the hotel allowing RVs, camper trailers, and moving box trucks to park across multiple spots. On our second night, there were almost 15 parking spots taken up by 3 of these vehicles. The price point and proximity to our event were the only plus for our stay. But because of all of the above mentioned we still feel like we over paid. Had the pool been working, breakfast handled better, had traditional/normal turndown service, and the staff been friendly/helpful, the price would have been a pretty good bargain. But the problems we had and the services that were available, we could have gotten that from a $40-$70 a night hotel, not the $120 a night we spent. We will be back for more tourneys but will NEVER stay there again.
Difficult to find using GPS, and according to the write up page this is a brand new hotel. Not sure how long it takes for that to be no longer brand new but it did not appear to be in the best shape overall. There was what could one day be an outdoor pool, but it appeared to have construction debris in it and due to the rain it was half full, and I imagine probably not headed as advertised. Definitely not a selling point!! Plugged bathtub which meant that I could not shower after the husband without standing ankle deep in water. I mentioned this to the manager who appeared surprised but the stopper had been removed from the tub which makes me believe that at least the cleaning staff knew it was an issue. We also had a problem with a noisy upstairs neighbor and I mentioned that, as I had specifically asked for a quiet room and was assured that no one would be above me. Advertising states this hotel is ideal for working or napping, not so much the latter I can assure you. I highly doubt business travelers take advantage of this hotel , even the staff member on duty at check in advised me that their main clientele was construction workers, who get up at 5am daily. On top of all this we were then blessed to get a neighbor with a barking dog! Overall not a great experience.
This is a nice hotel that has a great kitchen area in the guest rooms. The unfortunate thing is they have absolutely nothing in the kitchen. No plates. No glasses. Nothing. Yet they have a dishwasher. We have stayed at a lot of places but never experienced something like this.
Everything was fine with the hotel. Best Western standards were maintained. The disconcerting thing was how run down everything was around the hotel. Many businesses closed. It was very bleak. Can't blame the hotel for this. I guess the economy got hit fairly hard in this area.
An excellent hotel that is well managed and very comfortable. It is also well priced and has easy access to and from Interstate 40. It also has very good internet and a well prepared breakfast available.
This place seemed very worn out and old. It was very disappointing, there was no hot water in the shower ,I let the water run and run and it never got even warm. I hated not being able to take a shower in the morning. They didn't offer much for breakfast. I would not stay here.
The Best Western off I40 in Elk City was a very nice hotel and would stay there again. I would ask for a room that isn't on the freeway side. Our room was very nice although the freeway noise was bad. The desk agent suggested Fred's Steakhouse for dinner. Our meal there was very affordable and very good. We think Elk City is a quaint very nice city.
There was NO hot water for the hotel for our entire stay. This would have been bad enough (not to be able to take a shower) ,but the people running this place didn't seem to care much that it was off. Whenever I asked if it would be on or on soon all I would get is a "sorry for the inconvenience". This was a go-to stop for us along the I-40, but it has gone down hill each time for the past few years. We won't be coming back.
We were very impressed with the accommodations for a reasonable price! Good location, well lit parking lot, nice check in experience, comfortable room with full sized fridge and kitchenette that we very much appreciated. It seems recently updated. The towels and sheets could have been nicer but other than that, no complaints!
This was a last minute booking traveling through Elk City and I'm so glad I selected this hotel. It is very modern and assume it's fairly new. The room was very nice and comfortable, the check in & out process was very easy and breakfast was better than other similar hotels. It sets off the main street so you don't see it until you drive down the side road. At first I thought gps was lying to me.
When to breakfast 7:22 am Monday to 3 pieces of cold sausages and some greenish eggs! And NOTHING ELSE!! Also, we charged incorrectly for pets.. The website says 20 per pet, yet you charge me 65...I even had a conversation with the Owners about BW! Shame on you guys! Y'all know better! It's not about making a quick buck, it's about taking care of your guest and the bucks will follow.. DO BETTER!
Nit a bad spot to stop off the highway in Elk City. Great beds but hotel could use a refresh. Does have a pool (we didn't use), decent breakfast, this hotel has kitchenette with a full size fridge, loads of parking.
He was very aggressive and rude. He isn't apologetic and blames you for his mistakes. My entire group had the same complaint and there were 10 separate families. I will not stay again at this location.
Great from check in on, very nice at check in & check out. Room very large with small kitchenette, regular size fridge which help when traveling with food. Bed very comfortable, great night sleep. Breakfast was the usual for hotels. I would definitely stay there again
Nice hotel, friendly staff, hotel clean Stayed there before and it has always met high standards and service. family run very helpful if you need anything from places to eat, or things to see in the area.
This was a great stay the rooms are clean the lobby has sundries and we had great service when we asked for more pillows they came right up Breakfast was not up to par No waffle maker and short on bread and fruit selecion
The staff and manager were helpful and very friendly. Our room was clean. The room was quiet and anyone could sleep here with no problems. The water in the bathroom was clean. The television worked fine, and the refrigerator was great, too. Breakfast was not made for Queen Victoria - but it was decent enough and plenty. I truly have no idea why some people left bad reviews, that is why I am taking the time to tell you about our enjoyable stay. I guess you can't please everybody. We will stay here again for future adventures. I have stayed at loads of hotels in the past of several varieties. My favorite surprise at this location was how the room kept neighboring sounds away so you could sleep!! We all appreciated that. My key card stopped working for some odd reason, so a staff lady simply fixed our card promptly and it worked again. The temperature in the room was comfortable. Hope this helps!
Beds were excellent. Rooms extremely quiet with refrigerator, microwave. Check in good breakfast was horrible. Food was good, but everything empty at 8 am on Saturday holiday. Would 1/2 fill eggs, later add 6 sausages, 20 min later 6 pancakes. Had to ask for milk. Dogs allowed in breakfast area!
What wasn't wrong with our stay here? The rate was jacked up due to a baseball tournament this weekend, so for $142 for one night this is what we didn't get: - toilet paper (half a roll was present when we arrived, but the housekeeping number just rang, the front desk number was always busy and nobody could be found at the front desk. Finally found the housekeeping room which was thankfully unsecured and got a roll…we had four people staying in the room) - a properly working elevator (literally three floors in this hotel and it takes ten minutes for the elevator to get from the bottom to the top floor…silver lining we did get our exercise using the stairs) - breakfast was a joke (front desk stated breakfast was served from 6:30-9:30 AM. By 8:15 they were completely out which forced us to go elsewhere for breakfast) toilet seat was broken (hinge on the seat was broken…not a fun experience) What we did get: - an uncomfortable bed Avoid at all costs!
This hotel is managed horribly. My first room was not cleaned ; dirty sheets still on the bed, pillows on the floor, bathroom not cleaned, trash not emptied and food left in the fridge. The second room had an a/c that could not cool enough in the 100 degree Oklahoma heat. Also breakfast is advertised to be available at 6:30; it was never ready even at 7:00.
The room was a great value, and it was clean. The hotel employee would not honor the cancellation policy written on the email and was very rude on the phone. I checked in at 12:45 am and had to wait almost 15 minutes for someone (this same employee referenced above) to arrive at the front desk to check me in after I called to say that I was in the lobby.
Better than most Best Westerns. Great room - very clean. Very good hot breakfast - perfectly cooked eggs! Highly recommend. Easy on/off highway. Best sleep we had while traveling across the country. Very accimodating staff.
very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. Sheets had hair and lint in them as if they were not changed. sticky stuff on the dresser and down the side. Breakfast was good and hostess was helpful
Quick summary: very clean and comfortable stay at this value-added BW. Friendly, professional staff. We were on a road trip and stayed one night. The property is designed for guests who might have an extended stay - full size fridge, wet bar, microwave, dining table, comfy chairs, etc. Room 111 has two very comfy queen beds, and all the usual amenities (and more - see above) of BW properties: coffee maker, iron/board, roomy work desk and ergo chair, 3-drawer chest, large flat screen TV (lots of channels, but no printed guide.) Smallish bathroom has a tub./shower combo with nice toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Complimentary wifi works well. HVAC works well. Spotless housekeeping. Friendly, professional service throughout. Short drive to a number of restaurants. Breakfast was good to a point, but should have been better. The hot items (eggs, sausage, pancakes) were only lukewarm in the chafing dishes, and needed a microwave reheat. Still, a nice variety of items also included breads, fresh fruit, cereals, juice... Thank you for half-and-half for the coffee, not just non-dairy creamer. To sum: we'd be happy to stay again.
Nice hotel. owners are onsite very helpful, nice people! Very welcoming, room was clean, and quiet, breakfast offered several choices. Food was good. We stay here often and are always pleased with the overall hotel.
I want to congratulate the front desk staff for their kindness and excellent attention towards us. We arrived late and tired and they had everything ready for us. The breakfast was really good and complete. The room was very conformable and clean. Every detail about my stay was amazing.
Nice place to stay at. modern decor, phone chargers in room, breakfast available but did not try, Front Desk personnel is friendly and respectful, wi-fi available but did not use it, comfortable bedding, furniture fairly new. Good value for your dollar.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The bed was firm. Close to some good restaurants. However, the buffet breakfast was lacking. The sausage and egg sandwiches were cold. No microwave near the breakfast site. No eggs. The pancakes were tough, and no butter.
Let me start by saying I am very pro Best Western! I stay at Best Western Regency in Denver 3 nights a week! With that being said out of 35 years of frequenting a lot of Best Western's and other motel chains, this was the worst experience I have ever had! Manager/ owner, not sure because he was so rude and would not give me a business card! I tried to show him Bw website on my phone where it stated policies and charges for pets but he said he did not care and wouldn't look at it! Charged me almost double what was on B W website! There are lots of choices for motels and I will not stay here again! No wonder there was only a couple of cars in parking lot! I love almost all of the BW motels I have stayed at but please do yourself a favor, keep driving to another motel! DO NOT STAY HERE ,unless you like being talked down too! Very bad business for BW name!
I stayed here on my cross country trip. The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing! Way better than my previous night at a different location. I will stay there again on my return trip.
This was the 2nd night staying in the same hotel in two different states. By far the Elk city hotel needs new staff and managers. Room was never cleaned from previous guest, dirty table, dust everywhere and poop stains on the wall. Front desk gentlemen told me, it's hard to get the maids to clean. Do not recommend
Nice stay. Rooms are large and clean staff was friendly and helpful. Only negative were the guest at check in lady in front of me came in with no purse. Made everyone wait while husband went to get it then took forever to check in then after getting checked in sent friend to get her phone because she had a discount coupon. Staff continued to be polite and friendly in the face of this stupid woman. Then at 2:30am the people across the hall opened and closed their door 4 times. But was a Friday night
This was a fantastic Best Western! The room was a kitchenette & had a great set up. Very clean! The bed was very comfortable. All the staff were very nice & helpful. The food was good. Definitely reccomend this Best Western! Awesome!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this site. The parking lot was well-lit and clean, and the room was very clean as well. The only reason that I did not give it five stars instead of three was that the breakfast was very poor quality. Items were stale and poorly prepared...we stayed at a couple other BW hotels on this particular trip and all had excellent breakfast offerings. Thus, we were disappointed with the Elk City facility. We would stay there again, hoping that breakfast was improved.
Very pleasant, tranquil hotel. Breakfast area nicely appointed. Manager helpful. Breakfast best on trip. scrambled eggs cooked properly. Wish I would have found this place years ago. Has real grass for dogs.
We stayed hete last night. Best Western does an excellent job. Thank you for maintaining your high standards throughout the US. Our room was clean and well organized. Plus, breakfast was tasty. It was a buffet breakfast with eggs, sausage and the other stuff you'd expect. We'd stay here again.
This hotel was clean, quiet and refreshing. The manager and staff were exceptional. Everyone was courteous and friendly. The price was great for the amazing rooms. This will be our new home away from home when traveling to the area.
I usually don't write negative comments. But far this has been the worst in my years of travel. The management,n or owners of this hotel need to check into the problems of this hotel. The staff is not friendly or welcoming. The pool was a dark green, the likes I've never seen, the pool should be drained immediately. One benefit, there is a nice Elks Lodge near by with friendly staff and good food.
Hotel is very clean, and the rooms were equipped like no other. We had a refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink. The internet, and cable tv were great too. Bed and pillows were very comfortable which put me right off to sleep.
Very close to the freeway, but traffic noise didn't bother us at all. Nice pool on a very warm day. Helpful front desk folks and comfortable room. Good bed and shower, and wifi worked for streaming. Fun to have a kitchen for dinner and breakfast prep!
Simply, not enough staff to handle the volume of the many teams that book the facility for local baseball tournaments. Rooms not cleaned property, a lot of "out of order" equipment and not enough breakfast items to feed the guests.
We took two baseball teams with us and the staff (Angela ) was amazing with all the teams/kids. Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable bed. breakfast is simply grab and go but with covid it will do . Great area out by the pool for cooking out.
Checking in was very easy and quick and they were super friendly Angela welcomed me in as if I was an old friend I've stayed here before and the fact that she remembered me made me feel very welcome. I had to extend out another night and they made that very simple as well no need to change rooms or anything will stay here again
After making a reservation and driving 10 hours, we showed up at Best Western at 10pm to find NOBODY at the front desk. There was a sign to call a number, which we did repeatedly, but nobody picked up. A level of incompetence I've never experienced at a hotel. Whoever should've been on call on Sept 8, 2020 at 10pm should be fired because they were clearly not at their job and were completely MIA. We ultimately had to go find another hotel. Will never stay at a Best Western ever again.
It was 100-105 degrees outside and we were ready for a nice, clean, and COOL room! We got into the first room and the AC was set on 61 degrees but it was NOT that cool inside. My husband went down to talk to the manager who told him that the AC was working just fine. He followed my husband up and finally believed us when he saw that the fan wasn't even blowing and the AC had frozen up! So he moved us to a room next door. The AC was much better, but it still would not cool the room the way it should. I know it's not just the outside temperature, because we've traveled to very hot and humid climates with AC that actually cools the rooms off the way it's designed to do! Room was clean enough, spacious. Beds were comfortable and the parking lot was clean and well lit. I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Elk City on my last visit and I think I prefer it over this hotel.
We stayed here during a softball tournament. On arrival I was asked if I would like to upgrade our room to 1 King and 1queen with a kitchenette. I has happy until the following evening when we arrived back from a long day at the Ballpark. They do not service the rooms, so our trash cans were overflowing with the last evenings dinner. They do not refresh the towels. They completely ran out! My wife went down stairs to ask the manager “Habib” for a few towels he got unprofessional with her. When I went down stairs to see if he would be willing to refund a portion of our upgrade fee he became irrational and yelled that he is here 24 hours a day and doesn't have the staff to keep up with the needs of the guest. He stated in a very disrespectful manner that their will be no refund or a % of the room refunded to make up for our poor experience. When I stated I will be calling Corporate to file a complaint he started yelling “NO REFUND”. So I will also follow up with the BBB. I would not stay here again if it was the last place in town! The manager is extremely unprofessional! BE WARNED!
This motel is in need of updating. Poor lighting in room. Exterior doors chipped on the bottom. A/C did not take out all the humidity. No comfortable reading chair. The microwave was mounted high up in the kitchen area. If you were a shorter person you would have a hard time reaching it. I know all motels are impacted by Co-vid19. But we were not told, nor does it mention on the webpage, that no type of food would be provided in the morning. Not even a simple sack with fruit, canned juice or a breakfast bar. There were no signs in the breakfast area indicating that food service would not be available. I also didn't like that you had to pay $10 more for a room with two queen beds, even though we were Rewards members. There was no signage mandating/encouraging guests to wear a face mask. Staff were not wearing masks at all times. Yeah, it was a Oklahoma but it made us uneasy. Fortunately, there were very few people staying overnight. The only positives: 1) room very clean; 2) excellent bed; 3) quiet This is the fifth or sixth Best Western we have stayed at i the last year. Our other experiences have been positive. This one was not. We will not be staying at this motel the next time we are in Elk City.
The property and room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful. It appeared to be a fairly new property. The bed was very comfortable and I would stay here again. The only major knock isn't their fault: no breakfast due to Covid measures.
The smell at this hotel is disgusting. The manager is rude and to top it off, there was a cockroach in the room . Do not waste your money staying here, even the sheets and pillows have the same nasty smell as the whole building. If our room had been refundable, we would have left.
Front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming. The beds are THE most comfortable beds. Breakfast is great- lots of choices. Easy access right off the highway. Pool is really nice. Fitness center has whatever you need. Oh, and the rooms have a FULL kitchen with full size fridge/freezer. Everything is very clean.
Hotel was great; breakfast had bacon;sausage; eggs; toast; cereal; oatmeal; room was clean, front desk was very helpful and always offering help. Only thing missing was a waffle maker. Wish there had been an indoor pool. Great stay
Even though this hotel is near the highway, it was very quiet. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was a good size with lots of plugs and USB ports. Good, hot breakfast, bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, fruit, etc. Front desk staff were friendly.
Since the room contained a kitchenette, one could easily live here for days, even weeks. With a full size frig and microwave, eating out would not be necessary. Bacon, eggs, fresh fruit, different breads/pastries, and a yogurt machine with various toppings for the yogurt were available for breakfast. The bed and pillows were comfortable, and the room was clean. Road construction did make getting to the hotel a bit of a challenge.
We were greeted by a helpful and smiling attendant. Good advice from him to find a place for dinner. Room was spacious and clean. We were not bothered by the presence of pets. Well situated on the front floor. This hotel is easy to access close to the highway.
Beautiful hotel. Lobby had a weird odor. all in all good except I wouldn't recommend for more than one night. Front desk help was not very friendly or helpful. I've stayed at best westerns every time in out of town. I probably won't be back to this one.
Arrived and was greeted pleasantly by friendly front desk clerk. Good parking. Very nice, clean room. Comfortable bed. Plenty of towels. Kitchenette even has a dishwasher! New furnishings and nicely appointed room. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
Road construction and a poor sign make it difficult to find hotel. Room was comfortable and the bathroom was old. Being on the first floor overhead us were the noisiest people. How many time do you need to walk back and forth in a hotel room. The next morning as we where walking down the hall a dog is let in and ran luckily past us. Being a pet friendly hotel is probably why it had a strange smell. Never again
I had hoped that this hotel would be akin to Residence Inn since there was not one in town; it was not. First of all, the property was inundated with guests with numerous dogs. At times, passing through the hallway felt like a visit to a dog park. Our room was fine although did not offer any dishware for an extended stay room; the cabinets were excessively tall and would be difficult for anyone under 5'6' to reach within. The breakfast which included institutional powdered eggs was a pass.
Great place to rest or stay a few nights. Clean rooms, great price and good breakfast. MOST IMPORTANTLY!!!!! Staff is friendly and honest. An hour after checking out, they called me because I left my New Apple IPad Pro worth over $1200. I have left expensive items before at hotels, called front desk and they supposedly didn't find anything. Not here, SILVIA, the housekeeper immediately turned it into ANGELA at the front desk who also immediately called me. I personally thanked them both and I am so grateful for their honesty. It's nice to stay at a place where they not only will make you feel welcome and comfortable, but they have a staff with integrity and honesty!!!!
The staff here have always gone above and beyond to help me. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast in the morning is delicious! You can't beat this hotel for the price. Highly recommend!
this was a nice comfortable place to stay. Rooms were very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable with good choice of pillows. The only down side to our stay was breakfast!! They were out of everything and nobody around until we complained at the desk and then a gal showed up and took forever to get anything out, so breakfast was not a good experience.
We were on our way to Colorado, I called and got a price $.01 cheaper than expedia. Girl was sooooo nice. Room was nice, full size frig, dishwasher. Breakfast was good enough. Only complaint I have wasn't hotel's fault. Elephant in room above us. Why do people feel the need to stomp and stomp and stomp, do you realize people are below you? Parking lot wasn't conducive to lots of trailer parking but we made do. Shower was great.
The place is new and clean. They have kitchenettes that came in handy for extended stays. Full size refrigerators. The breakfast included fresh cooked eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Very friendly staff.
This BW is relatively new, the lobby, breakfast area and my guest room were very clean and decorated nicely. Bed was really comfortable, and room was quiet - I got a great night's sleep here. Price was also very nice. I was surprised to find that my king room had a kitchenette - full-sized fridge, microwave and dishwasher. I was only there one night, but this room would be perfect for those on a longer stay. Check-in and checkout were seamless, and breakfast was good. I did have a couple complaints, however. Although not the hotel's fault, it is difficult to find, tucked away behind the Clarion without a tall sign that can be seen from the main road. Nearby highway construction doesn't help. The other problem was the pool/outdoor lounge area. Pool itself was in need of cleaning and fresh chemistry, and regardless of the windy conditions the day before, someone should have noticed that two chairs were at the bottom of the pool. The area is bare-bones, a couple chairs but no tables to set a drink or towel on. The lounge area has a few pieces of furniture surrounding a firepit with two gas grills that appear to be falling apart. The one trash can was overflowing. A bit more attention to detail here would make a big difference - the addition of a couple small tables and perhaps some potted plants around the pool would make the space seem more welcoming. Otherwise, if I did not plan to swim, I'd be pleased with the hotel.
At check in there was only one person and he was very busy, but Larry was very pleasant and efficient. We got a great price. Our room was very nice: comfortable beds, great water pressure, nice tv, seemed very clean except bathroom floor. Breakfast was open until 10:00. They had everything: bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, plus continental breakfast items. It was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
The room was large, clean and well furnisehd with two beds, a refrideratorr, microwave, dishwasher, and a range top cooking surface . The staff was polite. The breakfast was abundant and very good. The ice machine was convient and well maitained.
After coming through Arkansas and areas in OK that had just been hit by tornados in the last 24 hours this BW Plus was like a safe Harbor in a storm. The room was spotless clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was very good, the staff was friendly and helpful.
We stopped here for one night on a return trip headed west. Found rate on booking.com. It was a little tricky to locate coming from the east, and there was construction on the overpass, but we found our way to the parking lot and were pleased with this choice. Our room was clean and it was quiet even though our view included the interstate. Beds very comfortable and the full refrigerator much appreciated. We did not use the other kitchen amenities. Breakfast was included. When we travel, the beds and cleanliness of the room are a big factor. We would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed at the Best Western in Elk City, Ok a few times, and have always been very satisfied. The location is especially convenient for the purpose of our visit. They are always very friendly and accommodating. The cleanliness, service, and atmosphere are top notch! I would recommend this without hesitation!
DO NOT STAY HERE. BW are individually owned!!! We did a trip from California to Arkansas to visit our daughter. On May 2nd we had reservations to stay at the Elk City Best Western. On our reservation we made it clear that we needed a non-pet room because my wife is allergic to dogs. When we arrived around 4:30pm and were checking in we reiterated that our room needed to be a non-pet room. The clerk, I believe his name was Larry, informed us that the hotel was pet friendly and that most likely there had been dogs in all of the rooms. He offered to cancel our reservation and not charge us. We were so pleased that we were going to write a positive review. Then two days later we get a notification that we had been charged for the room. We immediately called the hotel and a very rude women told us that Larry had no authority to make that decision and she could not help us. She told us to call next morning to talk to the manager but he probably wouldn't do anything. Sure enough, we called and the same rude person told us Gideon wasn't there. I left my phone number for him to call. He never did. We then called Best Western Customer Care, twe'll see if we get our money back. .BW Sucks!!!
THese rooms are really nice and comfy. Full kitchen and refrigerator too. Breakfast is also provided. This is the second time that we have stayed here and it won't be the last. Great hotel for the money
We had a very good experience here. The motel is quite clean and the staff was exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was good and overall the place is nice and quiet. I am not even sure I could find something to complain about. Great place!
This was our favorite of four Best Westerns we stayed at journeying from CA to TN. Multi-storied and a little tight but had a kitchenette. We ate at Boomtown Grill and had a fabulous meal. It's the temporary home of men who work in the fracking industry, but they were no problem. Breakfast was good with hot choices.
The room was upscale, with a kitchenette that had an apartment sized refrigerator and a fullsize dishwasher. Very comfortable beds; everything was very clean and neat. The internet connection was spotty. Our room faced the highway so there was some traffic noise; I would return but would ask for a room on the opposite side of the building.
Angela was super nice and made the checkin enjoyable. She even gave us great ideas for the city and options for dinner. Not to mention I forgot my phone charger she immediately gave me her charger. She didnt think twice.
We usually stay in 4+ star hotels, and felt this was the best choice for this location. We were very impressed with the modern decor, customer service and cleanliness of hotel. The staff made you feel welcome and were very accommodating. The WiFi worked well and most of all the cleanliness was excellent. This is the place to stay when you are in town. We have not stayed in a Best Western in many many years and will definitely look to this brand. They have done a great job rebranding. For the king room we had, it was quite spacious and not cramped.
The moment we walked into the room we were hit with the horrible smell of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking hotel! Then I went to use the bathroom and found dried urine on the toilet seat. It was after mid-night and all I wanted to do was go to bed. Went down to get something to clean the toilet so I could at least go to the bathroom before I went to sleep. The front desk clerk did offer to clean the seat, but my husband was already getting for bed and I said I would just do it. I thought it was just on the toilet seat, when I got back to the room found out it was all over the toilet and floor. So instead of getting to go to sleep right away after a long day of traveling, I was up cleaning someone else's Urine! Look close at the posted picture you can see the dark Urine on the seat in two different places. The manager Gideon only offered me $10 off our room, and wouldn't talk to me but I could hear him screaming at the front desk clerk. I think cleaning someone else's urine is worth more than $10 off a room! Turned this hotel into Best Western customer service and said I expected at least half off. Gideon lied to them told them that the toilet seat was permanently stained. It was not stained, everything wiped off just fine when I stayed up cleaning the toilet and floor. Stay away from this Nasty hotel that expects you to pay full price for a dirty bathroom!!
Front Clerk never available. Housekeeping didnot clean room second day. Wrong reservations, room not what I reserved. Escort service coming and going all hours of the night. mPolice circling this hotel late at night.
Out in the middle of nowhere, Oklahoma is this place... a traveler's refuge... a great stop for business travelers. Large vehicle parking, friendly professional staff, great rooms, quiet, clean clean clean.... and taxi service available to shopping for very reasonable prices... a great stay location
Very impressed with this hotel. It's a newer hotel and great value for what you receive. Rooms were large and clean. Breakfast was great. Location was easy access to the interstate. If in the area, would definitely stay here again.
The staff at check-in and check-out need to be more courteous and friendly. Breakfast gravy could be better. Gaps under room doors (to slip express receipt through) are too big and let in too much light and noise from the hallway. Hotel is extremely close to high power lines which, according to the owner, causes lighting issues. Such as the light above the dining table won't completely shut off and flickers. Had to remove the bulb to shut off. The oversized refrigerator/freezer in kitchenette worked poorly. Fridge was barely cool on 'Coldest' setting and freezer does not freeze. Too close to I-40, so the traffic noise was loud all night long. The overall cleanliness and rom decor was very good though. However, I wouldn't stay there again.
we were only there one night out to albq, nm and one nite a week later back from albq. nm but what a nice place. easy on and off the interstate, good choices for a hot breakfast. Helpful staff and each room has a full fridge, 2 burner stove, full size microwave, dishes and pots and pans. Nice breakfast room with plenty of choices for a good breakfast to go on!
The location was convenient just off the Interstate. The hotel was clean, attractively decorated and our room was comfortable. We stayed at a lot of hotels on this vacation and can honestly say we had the best sleep here. We enjoyed the breakfast, especially the very fresh muffins and breads and the delicious coffee.
We had a nice night at this hotel. We were in a queen double which was great as my wife and mother in law were with me on the trip to Arizona. The room had a fridge cooktop and dish washer. You could prepare simple meals. It also had a coffee maker which was nice for a quick cup in the morning. Beds were great and the place was full but quiet
This was a new hotel, very clean. Wonderfully comfortable beds. Hot breakfast was good, but we would have liked fresh fruit and yogurt like some other BW hotels provide. We would definitely stay again!
The location was a little hard to get to but it was worth it. The property was clean and well maintened. The room was large with a mini stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, sink and dishes and cooking utensils. The beds were comfortable the sheets not scratchy. The staff were friendly and helpful all made for a great experience!
The interior design of the room and public are contemporary. Amenities are clean and the room are very spacious. Very nice breakfast services and the place is quiet and relaxing. The personnel are nice and respectful. The wifi service is very fast. The pool is very nice. The exercise room is very good as well.
Room was great. Housekeeping not so much. Breakfast choices are excellent. When arrived, only had a half a roll of toilet tissue. The next day whe. The room was cleaned, still no new toilet tissue, no coffee refill, no shampoo etc.
I am a big fan of Best Western Hotels. The beds are always very comfortable and clean. This is a new hotel, very clean, very nice rooms and a great value. It was very easy to find and check in was fast and friendly.
This hotel was recently remodeled so it feel new and nice. Hotel staff was so friendly and also love kids which was amazing since we were traveling with our almost 4 month old. The bed were also so comfortable and I love that they offer you soft or firm pillows depending what you prefer.
We're half way thru a 2 week long road trip & this place is the best value by far. Best price, full size fridge, bbq grill, clean & just about brand new. Also serves free breakfast all the way till 10am, which is the latest of any we've seen. I'm just sorry we're only passing thru.
This is the 2nd time our group has stayed here, this was the worse by far. If I could give this hotel a negative rating I would. The manager was blaming everyone but himself. Then I caught him kicking a dead bug in the dining area the last morning across the room. He didn't even attempt to pick it up and throw it away. Our rooms were dirty, hair left over from the previous person or the help, who knows. Bugs crawling around the bathroom and kitchen area of the room. Our group will never stay here again and we are in town 4 x per year.
We are on a cross country and primarily staying at this chain. We found the plus variety does not cost much mor but gives you classy facility, good breakfast, pool options, nice towels and overall great stays. This place did not disappoint. Up to plus standards and more. It is an extended stay place with a cook top. Dish washer and larger fridge. We saw oil field workers here, staying weekly.
We made an overnight stop here on a cross-country trip. We have a little dog so our choices are dictated by that. This hotel is one of the best ones we've experienced overall. Faith greeted us and helped us get checked in, and went above and beyond in assisting with our many bags. She was very welcoming and kind. The room was very quiet and comfortable too. Everyone there from the manager to the breakfast staff was friendly. We highly recommend it. (And thanks to Arine for taking care of our minor maintenance iasue at night!)
This place should perhaps have another star? This front desk met us with everything you'd expect. Friendly attitude and a warm welcome. (Even cookies, homemade, but that I think was more pure luck than a common thing). The hotel itself gives a good impression tight from the start. The location is good, as Elk City is pretty quiet at night anyways. The rooms were nice and spacious, clean and the AC was working very well. The bathroom was quite large and clean. The pool was as expected. The breakfast had the usual to offer at this standard and the staff was quick to fill up things that was missing. Wifi worked like a charm. I cant say anything about its speed as we just looked att Google Maps for later days traveling. Overall; Very recommended as the bang-for-the-buck.
The room was ok, but no internet. The front desk said it worked when we checked in and gave us the code. It did not, the building was out. I called the front desk they had no clue, no manager to be found, no one called us, just no help at all. I called the corporate office they said we can not help either, privately owned. Some great customer service??? No hotel manager?? No customer service?? Try a more helpful place.
We were on our way from Colorado to Florida and needed a hotel for the night. Found this one and it was absolutely perfect! Clean, friendly, convenient and the right price, under $100. Complimentary breakfast hit the spot with a great selection.
Stayed two nights. The place is very well managed. Gideon was amazing and very accommodating. Room was very clean and the breakfast was great. The pool was being serviced, but when it was ready, Gideon made sure we knew. He was amazing, I would absolutely stay here again.
I booked this hotel for myself and my brother in-law through an online app. Provided the desk clerk with a confirmation number which they said they could not find, even though I had pre-paid. Clerk required us to reserve rooms using individual credit cards and said they would investigate the online reservation and correct the charges. I got a call later saying they found the online reservation and had corrected the charges, however it was only for my room (never reversed the charge to my brother-in-law's card). Called daily for weeks and kept getting put on hold or transferred to a full mailbox. Finally decided I am disputing the credit card charge for one room and writing a review. Not a bad hotel but I will stay the night in my automobile before I book a Best Western again.
We stopped by here on July 5th for one night. I would give this hotel 5 stars but the two girls at the front desk were not friendly at all. Not only did I stand there for about 5 min. Waiting for someone to help me.. I rang the bell 3 times and I waited in between. The two girls then come out from the back laughing. They seemed very nice to each other but didn't seem to have any customers service skills. Very cold and short with me. But other then that the hotel was very nice and CLEAN which we loved!
My husband and I travel to Elk City approximately every 2 months to visit family. We have always used Best Western during all travles, regardless of where those travles may be, and we are a mere handful of stats away from being diamond members (we've traveled a lot, lol). Our last stay with Best Western, Elk City was not a wonderful visit. Upon promise to make things better, we tried again this trip. Needless to say, things are NOT better. Upon arrival (11:15pm) last night we got to our room to find shampoo and soap still in the shower... I threw that away, but still leads me to question, were our linens clean or was the bed just made? Was the bathroom cleaned or were towels just added?? Really gross to think about... ewww!! After being awakened by a screaming fire alarm (cause unknown according to the front desk)and the blow dryer not working (came to be a tripped room breaker) as there was no safety plug with reset in the bathroom, we then left for the day today, house keeping was in the hall. We said hello and my husband told them what was needed for our room. To which she responded, "ok"... now whether she did not understand the language (has been an issue before) or just didn't do her job is anyone's guess. Suffice it to say, upon return this evening... our room keys didn't work (3rd visit straight this has happened) , bed not changed or made and dirty towels in bathroom floor with no new towels left. At this point, I will be sending photos and an email to the corporate offices. Even though each Best Western is a franchise, corporate is ultimately responsible for their brand and deserve to know these issues are continually arising. This will be a mere last resort hotel after this stay... we've already been charged and will leave Saturday (6-30-18). What began as a beautiful, well run and extremely organized establishment has rapidly spiraled downhill.
This hotel was nice and clean. Staff was super nice. Just don't get a room by the ice machine or you will be up at 4am hearing ice filling up coolers and it's very loud! Other than that no complaints. Location isn't bad.
Would be rated Very Good, but up to Excellent because of Erin. She handled all aspects of and about this place on her own, on her supposed to be day off, with no help, all day, efficiently and with a great attitude. The property itself is in a new-like condition, is very clean and comfortable and in a good location. It was a great stay after a long day on the road. I hope the management appreciates Erin.
We were here for a family funeral and these people were amazing. They allowed us to gather in their breakfast area in the afternoon and evening and would ask if there was anything we needed. After the funeral, they had made a few extra cookies to have available for us. The owner even came by several times to see if we needed anything.
We stayed at this hotel while on business. We chose this hotel because they boasted about having a heated pool. Although it was in the 90's during our visit, the pool was pretty darn cold. It's an outside pool in western Oklahoma but with their ad talking up a heated pool that's what I expected. The pool also had massive amounts of dead bugs floating everywhere. Now I'm a country boy and have swam in far nastier ponds but I would expect a pool to be far better kept. The room was nice when they finally found one for us that was clean. The breakfast bar was really nice. Made the $118 we paid well worth it. I'd stay here again if I was not wanting to swim.
After a stay with a budget chain, this hotel was a welcomed relief. Located right off highway 44, the hotel is large and spacious with a well lit parking lot. Very nice reception area with a fairly pleasant receptionist. Large breakfast space with a very nice full breakfast. Our room was clean, with two very comfortable beds, huge bright bathroom and a kitchenette area. Slept well. Third floor was nice. Air conditioner efficient and quiet. Could not hear the highway traffic. Very pleasant experience.
Had to move our reservation up a day and the person I spoke to on the phone seemed too busy as I was placed on hold 4 times, given a price $20 above anything on line, told it was an updated king suite overlooking the pool (didn't happen), and did not give the AARP discount. No one could fix the problem with the price of the room or knew how to apply a best western travel gift card (you run like a credit card). I was told to speak to the person that placed the reservation in the morning but she called in sick. So no adjustments to the bill and an unfortunate experience that was not the norm for this chain. I use best western whenever possible and will continue to, just not this one.
Stayed here for a night traveling West. We have stayed at a lot of BW's but this one wasn't up to scratch. Sure the room was comfy and spacious and clean but there were a couple of points that made it miss the mark. They gave us cards to a room that wasn't made up so we were given another room where only one of the two cards operated the door. My wife discovered a soiled Hand towel, the ironing board cover fell off when she set it up, the walls are thin or my hearing just got better or the person next door has a loud snoring problem. When we returned from dinner at around 7.30 it was dodge the garbage bag in the hall way on the way back to the room as House Keeping were still making up rooms. They could do better.
We would stay here again, but for some reason, I just can't give it a 4. The hotel could have been a little cleaner. It really wasn't all their fault as they would have had to have someone on duty 24/7 to clean up after the group that was staying in the hotel. They had quite a few rooms rented out to workers from Halliburton that were working out in the oil fields. Most of them would take off their muddy boots and leave them outside their rooms but there were some that didn't care how much mess they made so it really was impossible for them to keep the floors clean. The rooms all have a nice size fridge, stove, microwave and sink. Makes it nice if you are staying more than one night. Staff was friendly and helpful even through a tornado and hail storm that came through the night we were there.
We booked the room through hotels.com. The day of arrival we were contacted by the hotel that an employee overbooked the hotel and they had no rooms available. Instead they moved us to their sister hotel the Sleep Inn. Sleep Inn charged us for our stay and so did the Best Western even though they had no availability. It's been about a week and the Best Western still has yet to refund our money. We've been calling daily and the front desk keeps telling us they have to wait for the manager to approve the refund with a promise of a callback. There must've not be a manger or they never show up to work because still no resolution. Hotels.com has tried calling but there seems to be no answer at the front desk or again no manager on site. If I could give it no stars I would.
I really loved this hotel and would stay there again should I go back out that way. Everyone was so helpful and the room was perfect for my big wheelchair. I had plenty of room to move around without having to make other family members let me by them.
We enjoyed this hotel, had a full size kitchen, great place to stay if you were staying more then one night. Had a full size frig, 2 burner ceramic stove, dishwasher AND dishes. Our only complaint was the blanket was too heavy for this time of year (May). Beds were comfortable, washroom was a large layout, and towels half decent size. The receptionist could use some "people training". No welcome, or smiles, it was like she did not want to be there, or could not wait to get out of there.
We were very impressed with the property and liked the employees. The price was good especially for the quality of the food at breakfast and the comfort of the room. The location was good and there was no freeway noise even though we were next to it. The place was amazingly clean.
Apparently, reservations don't mean anything at this hotel. We booked a king suite through their website (not a third party or discount site). When we arrived, they gave us our key and said nothing. Turned out we have a small, queen room across from the elevator and ice machine. Nothing else available, we're told. Agree with others' assessment of the place as very basic. This is my first time here. We travel a lot and usually stay at Drury's. There's a reason they get rated #1 in customer service.
This BW is good if you're looking for a VERY basic place to stay. The TV was large, bed was comfortable, bedding and towels were low average quality. The room was equipped with a full size refrigerator. That's the good news. The clothes rack in the closet was falling down, the shower had no shower curtain and bathroom smelled very musty. Although we had reservations, we were given a handicapped room (we are not handicapped). When asked for a different room, we were told it was the last room available. Not great on customer service.
Way to Go Charles Jr, this is for you. Thanks for looking your hard work.Charles Jr was very understanding on my concerns for a clean room. He came with me to the room to check on things before I accepted to stay. Previously at another hotel near by ,was not clean, Charles listened intently and apologize for the other hotel though he was was a part of them. Charles is a great young man and future management team , I am sure, Janet
This hotel is very impressive. It's only been open for a year or so... and you can still smell the newness everywhere. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. The pool is really inviting. ...and the rooms are quite comfortable and well-designed. I'd definitely stay here again if passing through OK. The one down side was the evening clerk. She clearly has no interest in her job - nor does she want to be working at a hotel. There were several times I saw her smoking outside while guests waited for help at the (empty) front desk. It wasn't a huge deal, but she might be better suited to a different job.
Stayed 1 night. For a small town this was such a nice place. Brand new hotel with kitchenette rooms including full size fridge and dishwasher. It even had a guest laundry down the hall. Large full breakfast area. The best I've seen since we've been traveling and for the best price. Bed was very comfortable. Room was oversized. If your traveling through it's a great place to stay!
I only have good things to say about this hotel and the staff. The rooms were well sized, the grounds and hotel were clean and well kept. All in all it was a very pleasurable experience and probably to best value for money I have had traveling across the US
We stopped here because the I-40 had turned to black ice. Fortunately they had a room available! The front desk lady was sweet, even when her phone was inundated with calls from people stuck like we were. The room was immaculate and the bed was just about the most comfy one I have ever slept on in a hotel! Towels were fluffy and spotless. Internet was fast. The room had a full size fridge and even a dishwasher. It was totally made to be lived in for a while. Breakfast was nice and they even had coffee available earlier. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed again on our way back to AZ a week later. Different front desk lady, but just as sweet. She even alerted me that my rewards account was split and gave me a paper with a number to call to get it fixed. Got the room right across the hall and it was just as large, clean and nice. Definitely will be our go to place on our next cross country journey.
We stopped here during an ice storm yesterday. Great hotel! Very clean & spacious room. The young lady that checked us in was so sweet. Breakfast was good too. If we're in the area again we will definitely stay here!
This relatively new Best Western is great. We've stayed here 3 different times last year. The rooms are large, roomy, bright, and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The housekeeping ladies are polite and efficient. The breakfast helpers are attentive to the guests needs and keep the area spotless. I almost don't want to give such a good review because they may get too busy and we'll have to go elsewhere in a few months. We travel a lot and this is one of our favorite places.
Staff very kind and helpful. Room was very nice. Furniture clean. Bed was comfortable with multiple pillow choices. Breakfast standard. Internet & TV good. Rooms were quiet so didn't hear other guests rambling in the hallway or above my room.
This hotel has so much potential but it is "ew". It is a new hotel just opened in summer 2017. The girl who served breakfast was so very sweet and it was a good breakfast. Front desk staff was nice. That is all I can say positive. The room was yuck. When we got to our first room, the sheets had clearly not been changed, but rather just pulled up. They were wrinkled and "slept in" looking and when we pulled them back you could tell they hadn't been changed because the sheets were dirty. We asked for a new room and got to our next room. The sheets on the next room looked better, but they must have forgotten to clean the bathroom. It had empty shampoo and conditioner bottles in the bathtub. If you are okay with sleeping on someone else's sheets, this would be a good choice. Otherwise, I would choose somewhere else. I really hope they can find quality housekeepers. It is sad that this new facility is not being properly cleaned.
This hotel less than 6 months old is BEAUTIFUL but FILTHY already. So sad because there is such a need for quality clean family friendly accommodations in this area of Western Oklahoma. I can't imagine that whoever spent millions to build this facility is not paying attention to the fact it isn't being maintained. It doesn't matter how attractive the room decorations it hoe comfortable the bed is if the previous occupants soap is in the soap dish and if there are black curly hairs on the pillows and food matter in the bed and on the phone. So gross! Even if the staff is really sweet dirty is dirty.
Wonderful staff, quick check-in. Good breakfast. Room was excellent and clean. We have stayed in Elk City previously at a different hotel, this one was by far superior. We usually travel with pets so we had not tried this hotel previously. In talking with staff, they might be able to accommodate our pets in the future. We would definitely stay again.
Brand new hotel, spotless, friendly exquisite. Breakfast was just what I needed. Staff was excellent. The room was a kitchenette all you need to bring is food, sitting room and bedroom. This was perfect!!
I reserved a room online a few hours before we arrived, and it's a good thing I did because it was their last available one. The hotel is nicely decorated, clean, and has more than the typical room amenities. The breakfast buffet was also a notch above what we have seen at other places.
Passing thru town and needed to say the nite. The king room was large and clean, furniture well arranged. This is an old property and could use some sprucing up, but for the price and the comfort of the room we were very pleased. Breakfast we nothing spectacular, but it was enough to fill our belly. Staff were warm and friendly on this Thanksgiving nite. And, they had a great place i this small town to eat, the only place opened at 7 PM on Thanksgiving nite. I believe the little dinner was Fiddle and was were pleased. The place was small and each seat was filled, but service was fast.
We stayed in the best Western plus in elk city Oklahoma. We were traveling to San Diego and tried to call ahead and book only was the best western plus hotels as we traveled to and from San Diego back to Oklahoma. We signed up for the best Western rewards points because the first day with the elk city Oklahoma best western plus. It was a great experience
My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. We often stay in hotels as we drive across the county to visit our kids during winter holidays. This is the kind of hotel that serves chilled infused water in the lobby. The young man at the front deck was friendly and helpful. You could feel the good Feng Shei as you walked in the room. The beds are high and oh my, like sleeping on a cloud! After the best sleep ever, the breakfast buffet was over-the-top. Food on both sides of the room. Server Brianna brought out my gluten free cereal and plant based milk with the sweetest voice and smile! The buffet caters to paleo diets as well with boiled eggs, bacon and sausage. There was fruit, orange juice, apple juice, waffles, a case full of assorted breads, muffins and cakes. You get the idea....o v e r - t h e - t o p awesome!
Pet friendly and quiet too. Helpful staff. We had short notice travel change and made our reservation on the road. Called the hotel directly from listing on Mapquest. New BW employee was friendly and confirmed our travel details which gave us comfort that we would have a room when we arrived.
To put in a nutshell I would stay there every night. We were driving from Bremerton Wa to Melbourne Fl . After driving non stop we called at the late that evening and they told us they had a room.Driving at truck pulling a trailer parking was a problem, but the staff was very helpful in finding room to park, getting settled in. During checkout they helped us get back on the road.
We were excited about how nice the hotel was and our room was fabulous!!!! The bed was wonderful and comfy. The front desk guy was very nice and helpful. The breakfast room lady was super sweet/helpful
What a fantastic stay we had! The hotel is outstanding and the young man on the front desk was so nice and helpful. Our room was a very pleasant surprise. Full kitchen with dishes, glasses, silverware, fridge, stove and dishwasher. We wanted to stay longer to enjoy all the amenities. Breakfast was excellent and loved the fact that the King bed had actual king size pillows....that never happens. Will be staying there again on our way back home!
Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. One of the better complimentary breakfasts. Modern southwest decor. Pet friendly, however, expect to pay an additional $20 to bring your pet inside with you. Easy on/off the interstate. Rooms have refrigerator with freezer, mini kitchen.
The hotel was very nice and the staff did a great job. The room was comfortable, clean and we had no issues. The restroom was clean and the towels were nice. The grounds outside was professional looking and well kept.
