Une expérience d'hôtel mémorable
The hotel room was large, clean and very comfortable. The hotel staff and owners were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast — the blueberry and cherry preserves were delicious with fresh waffles, and two kinds of meat were offered (links and meat patty), among many other food choices. The airport was only 5-10 minutes away, and there were many eateries in the immediate surrounding area, making this a very convenient location. We understand that the furniture in all of the rooms is currently being upgraded, which will make the hotel even nicer than it already is.
They don't mark anything on the road and it is tucked back in and hard to see. I drove around all over trying to get there. Once there the stay was acceptable but nothing special. The service was good but I wasn't thanked for being a Best Western member.
Would not recommend. It smelled like mold and the bed was noisy and uncomfortable. We had a couple wads of hair come out of the jets in the jacuzzi tub in our room (not mine). The sheets kept slipping off the bed and the mattress protector was noisy.
Jacuzzi had hair, mold throughout the room, staff offered perfume to cover up the smell because lysol isn't in their supplies, sheets were dirty, breakfast was bare went to McDonald's. We do not recommend!
When we arrived at 3pm we were told to come back at 330pm due to the room not being cleaned. This happened 3 more times and they still had no time that the rooms would be ready. We explained we were late for an event and we wouldn't be back until late. When we arrived after was told we didn't have a room! Staff did not care at all during this process and showed no empathy what so ever!
We were very pleased with our stay. All employees were very nice and helpful! Breakfast was great nice selection. Pool was well taken care of everything was clean. Rooms were clean. It's a very nice hotel we will stay again.
Not enough towels in the room staff refused to give any more. Had to make kids use pool towels. Room had a strong mold/musty smell. Floor in room was so disgusting kids feet were black not 10 minutes after shower. Shower rod was falling out of wall. Gum stains in carpet. White stains on bed skirting no clue what that was. Remote was missing battery cover. Ac didn't blow very cold. Breakfast was dried out, under stocked, or not working. Over all not even a 2 star hotel charging way to much!
The front desk staff not nice at all . They have this arbitrary policy to treat and assume that everyone smokes in the room. They charge everyone a $250 deposit even if they never smoked. The are arrogant and seem to enjoy enforcing this unfair policy. I did speak to the manager and thank God he waived the deposit. Its hard to have to switch hotels at the last minute. In this hotel you are guilty till proven innocent with smoking. It does not matter even if you are a diamond select member. The man at desk this morning July 23rd. He was so rude he said “ we have to change the image of this hotel if you dont like it stay elsewhere”. Horrible customer service. The image I have of this hotel is nasty uncaring front desk staff. As far as the room could not control room temps. It was either too hot or too cold. $120 room $250 deposit held out of account for days very bad
Good location if airport is needed, but it is noisy. Staffing was great to work with. Easy to have ubers or lift drivers pick up. Good restaurants around the hotel. Pool was clean. Room was nice temp.
Columbus as a city is a great place to visit and Best Western makes it very affordable. The hotel was updated, had a pool and fitness center and a great breakfast buffet. It was conviently located near the airport and the 3 major highways into the city.
Nice hotel. Great price. Great continental breakfast options. Great food within walking distance. All around great place to stay whether it's one night or longer. Can't go wrong with this hotel, it's everything you need.
Easy on and off highway. Pool, Workout, Internet, Breakfast -- different each day. Pool temp just right and could work off my breakfast. Accommodating and friendly. Happy staff. Room was clean and quiet. Ample parking.
I booked a room online that was supposed to be a single king with whirlpool. I was given a double queen when I called the front desk they told me that's what I booked. I told them I could show them the email confirmation, they told me that they gave me what I booked n that the room i booked was not available. Well needless to say I had to stay in the room the gabe n call the complaint department the next A.M. to be offered any type of compensation
I would not recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary. After checking in I started looking for other hotel rooms to possibly stay because I did not like it. I ended up staying because my partner stated that it was only for one night. Had it been multiple nights we would've definitely found somewhere else to go. The hotel smell like a high school boys gym class mixed with marijuana, especially in the rooms.
I stayed for one short night at the Best Western Port Columbus, and it was a perfectly satisfying stay. Even though I checked in shortly before midnight, the desk attendant promptly registered me and provided me (BW member) complimentary waters and snacks...which were much appreciated after a long flight. Upon getting to my room, I found it tidy and clean and enjoyed a very hot shower that led to a great night's sleep. In the morning, when I opened my room door, I could smell breakfast! I was not disappointed when I arrived at the breakfast room. Hot food included sausage links, scrambled eggs, hash brown potatoes, and biscuit gravy. The usual options for waffles and all the other choices of fruits, breads, drinks, cereals, etc. were also available. There truly is something tasty and nutritious for everyone at a BW breakfast! At the Port Columbus BW, each one of the staff was friendly and efficient, including the kind lady who was in charge of the breakfast room. The food items were all continuously filled, and the eating areas were continuously kept clean. My overall experience at this BW (as with most BWs) was excellent. For the fair price, I could not imagine a better stay!
When I got to my room it was a mess bed not made, floor dirty and whirlpool was unsanitary! Was able to switch rooms but shouldn't have had too. Overall not a bad stay but there breakfast was not sitting well with my stomach
So I get checked in at 6:30pm on 12/30. Didn't catch her name but the front desk clerk was very nice and professional. Ordered my food, relaxed, went to sleep since I had a 10 hour drive ahead of me. 1:30am, I get a call from the front desk. Charles is the clerk and he asks who I am. I tell him my name. He says I'm in the wrong room. I inform him that the room I originally booked which was a king wasn't available and got switched to a double queen. Not my call and I didn't care about the switch of rooms because I just wanted a bed. He then tells me that I was supposed to be in room 214 instead room 122. I'm like ok, what's the big deal? I didn't switch the rooms. I went to the room I was given. He then tells me that he's probably gonna have to kick me out of the hotel because in his mind it looks like I'm in a room for free. Let's rewind, he at first said that I'm supposed to be in room 214 but then flips it and says it looks like I'm in a room for free. Make that part make sense. If I'm supposed to be in room 214 doesn't that mean I'm a guest? How did we go from I'm a guest to I'm in a room for free? Common sense ain't that common. He did not want my confirmation number when I gave it to him. He says that he needs to see my ID. So , I put my clothes on, half asleep, and head to the front desk. I'm upset because this is ruining my sleep and Charles seems to not care that he woke me up at 1:30am. He goes on to repeatedly say that I'm in the wrong room and I signed the wrong paperwork at check-in. Again, I didn't give myself the paperwork to sign. But he's blaming me for signing the wrong paperwork and at the same time he wants me to understand where he's coming from. I'm confused at how this escalated since I had a confirmation number and already paid for my room. I'm a Diamond Select member and I've never had anyone at any Best Western that I've stayed at focus so much on the checkin paperwork. Like I said, I didn't give myself the paperwork. Someone gave me paperwork and highlighted areas to sign. You stay at so many hotels, you don't really need to look at the paperwork anymore especially when traveling alone. Because I'm not understanding Charles and where he's coming from, he begins to raise his voice and threaten me to fight. He takes it a step further and comes around the front desk walks towards me preparing to fight. There happened to be a customer that tried to block him from fighting. I didn't want to fight but I would have defended myself. He's now talking loud about how yes he's threatening me and he doesn't care what happens and that his mother just died and he doesn't care. If his mother just died and he's still dealing with it, he shouldn't be at work if he's that unstable. Telling me that I'm acting like a white man. He explained what that meant. He said he expected a white man to complain but he emphasized that me as a Black man shouldn't be complaining or arguing with him because we're both Black. Talking about white men in a negative light and assuming because we're both Black that I can't complain is pathetic at best. This is all happening with my wife watching and hearing everything on FaceTime. At this point, I want to sign the correct paperwork that he made such a big deal about and go back to my room. But my adrenaline has kicked in and I'm officially up. I ended up leaving the hotel at 3am. Poor experience. This morning at 9:49am on 12/31, I call to complain to the manager about what happened. I spoke with Raymond and that was a fail. He cut me off as I was explaining the situation and said Charles told him his version of what happened and he believed him. Pretty much brushed me off like I wasn't important at all and said speak to the main manager on Monday. Talk about unprofessional. By far, the worst experience at any Best Western. Like I said, I'm a Diamond Select member so I've been to a bunch of different establishments all over the country. Maybe Charles and Raymond need to rethink working at Best Western or any customer service workplace since they both failed at customer service. I can understand that errors and mistakes happen. But to blame the customer, me, for clerical errors of Best Western's doing is a high level of lack of accountability that's inexcusable. Corporate already knows. Charles was disrespectful on every level and doesn't represent Best Western well at all. Raymond shouldn't be a manager if he so easily ignores customer complaints. I mean look at the lobby footage. The camera doesn't lie.
Multiple fixtures broken and stained. Looked like body fluid stains on the bed skirt and carpet. Shower broken, only the tub worked. Hallways hadn't been vacuumed in a while and were extremely filthy.
I come to this hotel a lot which that is about to change the last time I went to this hotel I checked, and the room is already occupied. I had to check into another room. The room is dirty. I also booked a king size bed and they did not have that available, I could go on and on, but I think the room not being clean and the room already been occupied is enough to not want to go back. Mind you this I the 3rd time this has happened. Not sure who is running the hotel but make sure you document your experience and let corporate know
We stayed here Nov. 24-27. When we got to our room on Thursday night/Thanksgiving, there was no tp so I had to go back down (we were on 2nd floor) to get some. Then Friday morning, we realized that we only had 2 sets of towels for 3 of us. I was told that is how every room is. . . only 2 sets. We spent Friday with family and Saturday at the Ford swap meet. When we got back to the room Saturday night and was just getting settled in for a movie, the fire alarm went off. It went off again at 2am. Both times we were told someone was trying to smoke. Both Friday and Saturday when we got back from being gone all day, our keys would not work in the door. We were told it was due to having the key next to our phones but one key had been forgotten in the room and the other was not near my phone. Front desk lady said she would take off some from our bill for dealing with this but when we got our bill at check out, there was nothing discounted. Also when we checked out and I was asked how things were, I told the guy and he said that he had told them about that room having that key issue. My husband was not happy with everything thing and wanted to go elsewhere but we stayed and dealt with it all. We did not complain but it sounded like above us was a family with children jumping. Also had yelling in the hallways.
This hotel hasn't been updated since the yer of the flood. In the first room we were given, we turned around and asked for an upgrade. The next room was exactly the same as the first. “That is an upgrade,” the manage said. Hi speed wifi couldn't handle today's ipads.
The staff, the facility, and the room were all great! There was a pulsating shower head that actually worked! Breakfast was good with LOTS of great options. The beds were firm and very comfortable. The location was super convenient to the Expo Center.
I have NOTHING bad to say about our stay. The desk staff was friendly and accommodating. Crystal and all of the kitchen staff were amazing. The room was very clean. The beds and linens were also clean. There was a pulsating shower head that actually worked! Having an in-room coffee maker was really nice. We will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel.
I chose this hotel for my "staycation" because it had a hot tub. The room was clean and comfortable. The furniture had many scratches and dents, and the bedside table was actually broken. The mirror surrounding the hot tub was discolored. The hot tub was spacious but the water jet control had a max of 15 minutes and was located across the room (so you'd have to get out to restart it). The staff was very nice, and the airport location meant that I could choose from lots of DoorDash restaurants.
I stayed on 10/20/22. When I checked in, the woman was very courteous at the front desk and said to let her know if I needed anything. Well, I needed something and I received nothing. When I got to my room, the switch did not work any lights. I wanted to turn the TV on but the remote would not work. I tried to call down but the phone did not work in the room. I called via my cell phone and informed her about the remote not working. She said she would program another one and send it up. I never received the remote so I was unable to watch TV the entire night. While waiting, I checked around the room. One dresser drawer was broken and it caused all three to be unusable. There was something splattered on the ceiling above the bed. It was rather disgusting. Plumbing most also be bad as the tub took overnight to drain as well as the sink. Also, the toilet was running water and would not stop. I do not recommend staying at this hotel and I no longer plan to stay at a Best Western. I was very disappointed.
Stayed 4 nights and not once was the room cleaned, had to ask for towels and garbage pick up every night. We asked for the room to be cleaned twice and the sign was taken from our door. The halls smelled bad and were dirty. Only thing good was the price.
Stayed at this hotel to grab a few hours of sleep before catching a flight. Upon entry, everything seemed great. That was until we got to the elevator. There was a constant flow of people in and out to the point that I nearly was run over. The elevator reeked of weed as well as my floor. This did not improve throughout the night and I spent the entire night dealing with the smell of marijuana and loud people in the hall. I will never stay here again.
Broken ice machine, room odor from carpet, stained towels, broken window, dirty furniture, stained ceiling, visible mouse traps, marijuana smell in halls, NEVER AGAIN, non refundable room, simply bad.
Never have smelled a room so musty and moldy in my life! Stayed in a carpeted jacuzzi room so expected some dampness and maybe a little smell but horrible for my allergies. Bathroom was dirty and urine not cleaned off floor or toilet. Vomit in garbage can dried up and plastic garbage bag placed on top of it!. Door really hard to close, in fact open when we got there
Had booked this hotel for several nights while on business. Room had been updated but was dirty. First night the place was very busy with families & young children. The pool was packed with kids while adults sat around & smoked dope. Staff on duty looking the other way. OK maybe this is a one-night family reunion or something. WRONG!! Second day the place was still packed. Also that night 6 vehicles were broken into! Dope smoke still present so I checked out. This is not a safe place. Found out this hotel is housing families on some type government program. These families have little respect for the handout & let their kids run wild throughout the hotel. One little toddler was actually peeing in the hallway. I cannot believe BW allows this type activity in their hotel. Staff is terrible to let this happen. SO BEWARE! Many other choices are close by that have security. I don't want a standard, fake response from local management like posted on other negative comment posts!
Went to this hotel for a family reunion I will never return rooms was terrible my room when you turn on the heat on it sounds and smelled like the filters we're burning toilet was running all night conference room had to be opened from the inside couldn't use key
Not so friendly staff at medium rate hotel that charges extremely high room rates. There are several other hotel options close by that are bound to provide a experience and value. We spend over $150/room/night for two queen beds. Got two rooms because we are six people. Rooms had only 2 sets of towels!!
I like this Best Western, it's in a good location. There is a lot of food options and other stores surrounding this location. Its super close to Airport with plenty of options for to get from the hotel to the airport.
The gentleman at check-in was very rude and sarcastic. We booked our stay online and it was not very clear about a $200 cash only deposit for the Jacuzzi room. The hotel staff member told us in a very sarcastic tone that we should read the fine print better next time. The room how do you funny odor coming from the carpet. Once the Jacuzzi was filled we turned on the Jets and almost immediately got out due to this weird foam forming in the Jacuzzi. The noise was absolutely terrible! Doors were constantly slamming very early in the morning, cleaning staff were banging their carts in the hallway outside of our room. The beds were very comfortable, I just wish I could have slept in a little longer. The noise woke me up in the 6 o'clock hour.
if you need it for a quick stay this is an option. Staff is friendly. Check beds before laying in them. Pool was out of order during my stay. Looks like they are in the process of doing some remodeling at least I hope they are
Unsafe and dirty. Room had trash in it. Carpets were gross. Smelled. People sleeping in parking lot. Police called for a serious situation that occurred during night. I can't stress enough what a unclean and in our opinion unsafe place it is. We paid 158 for this scary and bad experience.
We rented three rooms for three nights. One of our rooms was not clean when we got up to it. Linens still on beds and urine in the toilet. We didn't get there till around 8 so you would think the rooms would've been cleaned. The next two nights two of our room keys stopped working and needed to be reprogrammed. The hallways smelled of both cigarette and pot smoke. There was fighting/swearing in the room next to ours. The night shift acted like we were bothering them when asking to get our keys reprogrammed. They also had their kids running around the breakfast area and one of the clerks was outside smoking. The pool chlorine was overwhelming, we never used it as our eyes burned as soon as we walked in the back door. The back door was propped open frequently and I don't think the security latch worked. There was not enough towels in each room and the laundry lady was in the elevator complaining about the guests that wanted towels and clean sheets.
When you tell the first that the pool opens at 10 and there is two young kids that expect to use the pool in the morning before check out you should make sure the pool is open when you say it's gonna be open
The room I was in had a bad connection where you had to bang the side of the light for it to turn on. The phone in the room did not work. Front desk staff came to room and thought they had fixed said problem. Later on I tried the phone and it still did not work . Front desk staff came back and realized there was a short in the wall jack
The only thing good were the employees. Grounds were filthy. Beds hard. No tp In room. Tv remote dead. Access doors didn't lock. AC did not work. Pillows were the size of throw pillows. Bfast poor at best.
Came to Columbus Ohio for a Celtic Woman concert and chose Best Western for my 1 night stay. When they come to Columbus Ohio again I will stay this hotel wonderful hotel again. Very quiet and peaceful stay.
When we arrived there was a sign at the front desk saying be back soon. So we waited about 10 minutes until a man came from the back telling us that there would nobody at the front desk for another 30 minutes. Once the lady arrived to check us in she was very rude and did not explain anything or direct us to our room. Once inside the the room we noticed that there was standing water in the bath tub, the other guests near us we loud and obnoxious throughout the night and morning yelling down the hall. At breakfast the bagel was moldy and when we went to get a yogurt from the fridge we were told to shut the door while choosing which flavor and checking the date. Housekeeping was knocking at the door at 9 o'clock to clean the room. We felt rushed and unwelcome here
Front desk attendant was nice and explained everything. Hotel is old, needs updated. There was hair in the tub and bathroom floor. Then found the same looking hair under the sheets. Good thing I had a blanket in the car to use and I slept on top of the sheets. If I wasn't exhausted, I would have left.
This hotel had me give a credit card to reserve our room. Required $100 cash in order to check in without informing us. Rude at check in. Average cleanliness. Staff was only helpful Sunday morning. Breakfast was good.
There were kids belonging to the employees there all weekend long. Sitting in chairs by elevator all day. Laundry and garbage outside rooms in the hallway at 9-10 at night. The employees were polite..
This place is dirty and very suspicious people hanging out near elevator and lobby. The people working the front desk seemed to not like white people. The breakfast is cheap, and they tell you one item per person. If you decide to stay here, you're on your own. Got back around 11PM one night and both our room keys were cancelled, someone let us in the front door, and we had to come back to lobby to get new room keys.
I would guess this hotel suffers from a lack of help, like so many other establishments. There was no maid service for the two nights that I stayed although I did set my trash out in the hall, and someone collected it. The room was decent except that it had no working smoke detector--just wires sticking out of the wall with an outline of where it once was. The bathtub plumbing from the room above mine leaked, and chunks of my ceiling were missing above it. Also, dirty brown water leaked down into my tub each day causing brown streaks down the side and in the soap holder. And, the toilet was not bolted firmly to the floor, giving a thrill when one would sit. Otherwise, the room seemed reasonably clean, and the bed was comfortable, although very firm. The room quality certainly did not equal that of a Holiday Inn Express or any hotels at that tier. I had 1 king bed + a love seat, and the room was spacious. The breakfast area suffered from a decided lack of housekeeping. I was one of the first people there on Sunday morning, and no tables had been cleaned since Saturday morning. The food selection was good. The front desk staff was totally exhausted with some people working almost 24 hour shifts, going home for a few hours and then returning for another shift. It's hard to maintain a facility with such a help shortage. I'm sure this doesn't regularly happen, but the fire alarm went off around 3:15 a.m. when they burned something in the kitchen. It was only a few beeps, however.
Had to come back to this Trip Advisor page because I was reluctant to stay here due to all the negative reviews … but I have no idea what those complaining people are talking about. I've stayed in MUCH worse places. This is a normal, mid-cost hotel. Regular clean rooms, good hot breakfast, indoor pool. It's not the Ritz Carleton but those complainers weren't paying Ritz Carleton prices either. The staff was really nice, stayed here for a regional conference and a couple reservation people even gave me their first names in case I had questions later (Roger and a nice lady who helped me get the group rate, unfortunately wrote down her name them lost it.) The internet was slow, maybe bc the place was booked when we were there. Anyway it's a perfectly fine hotel in a great location, I guess the only time most people take time to write reviews is to complain?
We found mold/mildew on light fixtures, the shower head, windows and on the ceiling. The sheets had staining on them. The maintenance performed on the room was horrible the drawer bottom to the desk was falling out, the drawers to the night stands were hot glued together. The metal lamp fixtures had oxidization and rust on them. The jacuzzi tub handle fell off and the the tub stopper was completely removed from the drain. The room had an odor and the hvac barely worked.
I know people say this all the time and are lying, but I seriously mean this— I am not one to complain. I come from the hospitality industry and I understand times are hard right now. However, this experience was unacceptable. We were so incredibly disappointed in our stay. I've stayed at Best Westerns in the past and always had a positive experience but this was completely different. The hotel is dirty and the staff is very unprofessional, the pillows are so old they have shrunk down to small squares and when we asked for different pillows, we were told they didn't have anymore. At a hotel?! The continental breakfast was so bad we opted out of it completely the second morning, which is really unfortunate because that was a big reason I chose that hotel. There was so water available to drink at breakfast because the dispenser was broken and when a staff member was asked about it, she said “I don't know how to fix that” and walked away. The pool had a closed sign on it but there were kids swimming in it one night. We assumed it was closed due to Covid so it was frustrating to see that it was actually usable after all. The hallways smells like smoke even though it's a nonsmoking hotel, there were cups and debris all over the hallway. It was truly a terrible experience which is so disappointing because I had high hopes. I booked this for my husbands 30th birthday and I was legitimately embarrassed I had brought him there.
The front desk staff was rude but we loved the pool area, the rooms were spacious and clean and breakfast was great. Location was also a plus, it's close to Easton and had plenty of restaurants near the hotel.
Although I had to cancel my trip and cannot attest to actual accommodations, over the phone the staff was incredibly helpful in helping me get a refund due to winter weather. Roger knew just what to do. Thanks.
My wife and I booked this hotel through the Best Western website for an overnight stay on a long drive; its location was convenient for our needs. We arrived at midnight and were surprised when the surly desk attendant demanded a $100 cash deposit. This was not mentioned in the Best Western description of the hotel, nor was it mentioned in my email confirmation of the reservation. I looked at him incredulously and said that I had no cash, nor was I going to get cash, to which he said he would ‘waive this fee this one time.' Going to our room, the hallway and elevator smelled of cigarette smoke and pot; the hallway carpet was very dirty. The room itself seemed OK, except that we had no tissues. The breakfast service was fine; the stations were clean and the area was well-stocked. The morning desk attendant appeared to be pulling double duty seeing to an issue on another floor. She asked if we were checking out; when we said we were, she told us to leave our keys. We haven't received an email receipt yet (12 hours later). The hotel posted a ‘mask required' policy, but no other patrons adhered to it, nor did one of the employees. I have stayed at many Best Westerns for business and leisure over the years; this was the second worst experience for what is usually a great chain. While I am sympathetic to being short-staffed, the ‘cash deposit' is just nonsense, and I don't appreciate a surly greeting upon checking in. Therefore, I recommend looking for other hotels in the area until the management and staffing of this hotel are straightened out.
My husband and I chose this hotel to stay at after the OSU-Michigan State game 11/20/21. The room assigned to us smelled of mildew and bleach so strongly that it was burning our eyes. They moved us to another room that, while it did not smell, was filthy. There were black fingerprints on a light switch, the over sink light did not work, the area behind the toilet was filthy, and the furniture was broken. The mirrors around the jacuzzi were in disrepair and the light was hanging out of the ceiling.. When my husband pulled the car around and went to enter the front of the hotel the doors would not open. The host smarted off to him about pulling on the door. Apparently they were locked. Aren't the lobby doors always supposed to be unlocked? Never had that problem at a hotel before. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
DIRTIER THAN A GAS STATION. Where to begin. Cars were parked randomly outside the entrance, completely blocking the street. Inside, it was even more of a circus. Front desk asked for 200 dollar cash deposit. Ok, annoying but whatever. First floor smelled like cigarettes. I got to my room and it looked like the cleaning lady came in to do the bed and take out the trash for the last 10 years without cleaning everything else. Pubic hairs and ants all over the bath tub. Ash from someone who had left incense. Red stains. Hangers were hanging off of each other. The floor was nasty and not vacuumed. The toilet had black dots all over it and the furniture was sticky. I went downstairs and showed them pictures. The guy at the front desk told me he could put me in another room. It was worse! Pictures below. He said he could refund me and that I could find another hotel. Except it was 11pm on a Friday night, I had just come from a 7 hour flight and I had to drive to work the following morning at 7am. I was exhausted. I asked him if he could provide a discount or some sort of compensation and he refused. He said that because I booked through Priceline that he couldn't do it and that if I had booked through the hotel directly, they could have compensated me. I called Priceline and they said they could offer compensation but that the hotel refused…. After 7 calls and hours of waiting on the phone, Priceline gave me a coupon for their express deals. Thanks Priceline for giving me a coupon on your already discounted deals. Shame on this hotel and shame on Priceline. This hotel should not be on Priceline, it should be shut down. Oh and yeah, the only elevator that takes ten minutes to come up and down three floors, broke down. Best trip ever. Rip off. Stole my money.
This is by far the Cleanest, most Friendly, and Best Breakfast that we have experienced in the past few years. When we entered the hotel on the night of 10-31-2021 we were received by a very polite and professional gentleman that ensured that we got wonderful rooms. When we were entering our rooms we noticed, right away, the neatness and cleanliness of the room and the bathroom. When I went to turn on the TV the remote was not working; I called the Front Desk to ensure that I wasn't doing something wrong and was informed it was supposed to work like a normal remote, point and click, and that nothing additional was required. The gentleman at the Front Desk immediately resolved my issue by providing me with another Remote which worked perfectly. After a relaxing hot shower in a very clean bathroom I went to bed and slept very well through the Silence of the night provided by yhe Hotel. The rooms temperature was also very comfortable along with a very comfortable and clean bed. The next morning we went down for breakfast, which had accomodating hours of 6AM to 10AM, so no one had to be in a rush or had to get up so early in order to eat. I noticed that this was more than a Pastry, Coffee, Milk and Cereal. This buffet had Hot Scrambled Eggs, Sausage, Waffles, Fruit, Cereal, Coffee, Tea, Fruit Juices and more. The lady servicing the buffet was out there replenishing everything as needed to ensure that all of the residents had plenty and fresh food. This is definitely not the normal offerings at hotels in this price range; and not only was the lady attentive to replenishing the food she also rnsured that everything remained clean. Check out was a breeze. This was our first trip to Columbus Ohio and the Best Western Port Columbus but you can believe if we ever have the occasion yo visit Columbus again, and if vacancies exist, we will definitely be staying in the Best Western Port Columbus again. I thank all of the Staff and Management for all of their efforts to ensure that our stay was a positive and wonderful experience.
The mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. Although the room is no smoking, it smelled like they spray something to cover up previous smokers. Crumbs on the night stand were left. Apparent that there is not a proper COVID-19 cleaning assignment in place let alone standard cleaning. I understand the world is short staffed but this was something to prove the rooms are rushed over and not properly sanitized for the next guests. For the price, not exactly worth it and I understand it's a low rate.
We made a last minute reservation here because we couldn't make it to our original hotel. The location worked great for us and I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The desk manager was doing many things at once but doing them all efficiently and cheerfully. I give high marks to the staff. The room was okay. The bathroom floors were not thoroughly clean (hair in the corners) and the tub had a slow drain. The towels are super thin and they are rationed. The desk has a sticky surface. We were there just one night so we made do with the room. We were in a pet friendly room and near a door which was a plus for us. I definitely do not feel the hotel was worth the money they charged for what you got. I had a member rate and it was supposedly the best rate.
There was old food left in the refrigerator. The window would not shut completely which let bugs in and did not have a screen on the window could not open or close the window do the screws being in the track
I have never had such a horrible experience. Upon arrival to our floor, we were knocked over by the smell of marijuana in the hallway. The cleaning staff and someone who I presume was the manager were in a room and acted as if there was no issue. If my husband hadn't been reluctant to leave and find a new hotel, I would have immediately demanded a refund. A housekeeper had her children with her (which kudos to her for working despite not having someone to watch her kids) but the children were rude and called my husband stupid. Many of the housekeepers I saw were not even in uniform. At 11:00 at night two woman and her children came into their room. They were extremely loud and the children were slamming doors. We had to turn on our air to cancel out the noise and it was still loud. Not long after the smell of marijuana returned. I went to attempt to call the front desk and noticed the room did not have a phone. My 5 year old woke up and cried that she was scared. It went silent after about 35 minutes, then resumed again at 3:00 am. Mind you we had to be up at 5 for my husband to run the Columbus Marathon. The hotel itself was very dirty with the exception of the breakfast area. The friendliness of the staff at 6:00 am was the only nice part about our stay. This hotel is definitely not worth the "very good" rating it earned on trip advisor.
When I walked in to check in, I was greeted with a “yeah?” I said I need to check in please. Mean while, two ladies walk up with concern that their door lock was not working. The lady behind the desk clearly did not care (and also greeting them with a “yeah?”) and said “well I don't have any rooms do you want to check out?” I was very shocked at the lack of customer service and simply just not being friendly, at all. So we get to the room, there was what looked to be like chocolate milk in the sink I had to wash out and the toilet was clearly clogged. We went to the front desk, the lady was on her personal phone talking… she handed over a plunger and walked away. There was no toilet paper. The pillows on the bed were bunched up like someone had been sleeping on them all day. The room was just not clean and 1 towel. This was not a good experience.
I checked in two rooms with staff of mine and two of my guys that were sharing a room went to their room and discovered there was no toilet paper in the room. They went back to the front desk and were told there's no toilet paper available. Fortunately none was required that night - but they fully expected when we returned the following afternoon after a day of work, the issue would be resolved. No such luck - and they got the same line from the front desk. I'll give you a pass if you're out of shampoo or conditioner - but being out of toilet paper is no way to run a hotel. Stay away.
This is a very tired hotel. We arrived to our room with a dirty swiffer left behind (washcloth as the cover- which was filthy), no soap, one bath towel, one pool towel, a washcloth. We really wondered if room had even been cleaned. It was late so didn't ask for a room change. The bed has seen better days and was the most uncomfortable one we have tried to sleep on in years. The toilet was not attached to the floor and in the middle of the night almost fell due to it. Bathtub faucet is loose and wobbling. COVID can't be an excuse for this! If they are short on housekeepers/maintenance employee then management should step in to keep the reputation of Best Western.
Room was filthy, a large ball of hair on the bathroom floor and mold on the shower curtain. Elevator quit working which resulted in carrying luggage down three floors of stairs. Definitely would not stay there again.
The staff at this hotel are amazing, helpful and friendly. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. We arrived early and they let us check in so we could get ready for an event, which was so nice of them. If we ever need to come back, we'll stay here.
Stayed 1 night at Best Western while on travel because we have a dog. The AC was broken during a heat wave (87 degrees and 90% humidity). When we told the desk staff, they said it was broken for 'days' and yet booked us in. Why?!? We weren't given a new room, just an industrial fan - and the windows didn't open. Our dog panted all night. I understand problems happen but response was subpar - staff acted exasperated that we wanted a new room?!? Also, the shower and fridge were dirty. Will never stay in a Best Western property again!
I really wanted to give hotel 5 stars, but more on that in a bit. Great location only about 2 miles from the airport and right off the highway. There are a number of eateries within easy walk: Donato's Pizza, McD's, Wendy's, BK, Tim Hortons, and another nicer Italian restaurant. I give the staff at the hotel 5 stars, and the room 5 stars. I had a room with a single king bed and a couch. It was nice to have all that room w/o a second bed. Room was spotless. Stairways on either end had beautiful wooden rails that would have looked nice in a private home. Breakfast was keto friendly. Now why I dinged it one star. For a whole day and into the next there were dirty towels piled outside two rooms. The elevator seemed to be a permanent home for the wet floors sign, which was neither wet nor clean. The pool was closed, apparently due to COVID, but, I believe, an unnecessary precaution. Also, they have ceased the airport shuttle, which may also be a COVID casualty. That last cost me two expensive rides to/from the airport via Uber (I had other transpo once I got to hotel). But I was able to use my BW credits from stay at another BW, so the price was great. Overall, I really liked this place.
My husband and I booked this room through Hotwire so we could stay near the airport for an early flight. Upon check in, I was told that I would need to go to an ATM and provide a $100 cash deposit. Their shuttle was also suspended which was the primary reason we reserved this hotel. I told them I did not want to provide a cash deposit and they told me to contact Hotwire/Expedia to cancel the reservation. When Hotwire called the hotel, Shondell confirmed the deposit and denied the refund. I have a feeling this hotel is a franchise and Best Western corporate should review their shady business practices.
I booked this room through Priceline at $86, when I checked in they attempted to charge me $62 for the room. I told her I paid Priceline and apparently overpaid through Priceline. The hotel isn't very clean, there was hair balls in the corners of the elevator. We asked for three extra towels so we could shower the next morning and was told we couldn't have them until we returned the ones we have used the night before. The night front desk clerk and the morning desk clerk were less than friendly.
Had a good experience. The in room spa could have been better. Some of the functions did not work and the timer was not accurate. Can't stream to the TV but it was not a big deal. I love Best Western so all in all I am satisfied.
I figured since it was by the airport, it would be filled with travelers. No. drive through the parking lot and its all local, Franklin County, license plates. People come here because its cheap and smoke dope and do other nefarious things. I stayed 5 nights since I had training in town. Every night I was woken up from something. Someone set off the fire alarm on my floor, resulting in Columbus Fire showing up and pounding on their door. Kids running through the hallway at 330 AM, yes...330 in the morning...pounding on doors and laughing. Domestic violence in the room across the hall, but at least the front desk clerk kicked the guy out. People loitering outside in the parking lot cussing and swearing at each other. Somone was smoking cigarettes in the bathroom next to my room, causing the odor of smoke to come into my room. The elevator periodically smelled like marijuana. Some hotels in my area have stopped renting rooms out to people with local addresses. The problems go away. I think BW should adopt this practice because the experience would improve substantially. I'm assuming my room never got cleaned because of COVID, but there's also that.
The hallways were dirty. There was dirt and hair on the tile floors. The jacuzzi tub had hair and dirt in it. The stuff under the bed was unbelievable: food, dust, plastic silverware. The shower curtain was stained.
I had reserved 2 rooms for my family. Upon check-in and going to the rooms the hallway smelled of dope. One of the rooms was already occupied. So, back to the front desk to get a different room. In the "new" room my daughter discovered a scab and a toenail in the bed. Obviously not changed between guests. I had daughter call down requesting the bed to be made up again. Told they couldn't enter room once the guest was in and offered her a set of sheets to make up her own bed. Obviously this wasn't acceptable. Asked to be assigned a new room. Denied based on occupancy. Although was done previous when the other room was already occupied. Ultimately, I assume the manager and I returned to the room and she changed the bedding. Nothing offered for the experience and we were made to be the difficult customer. I would suggest sleeping in your car versus staying here. I am Diamond with Best Western with 25-30 nights a year with BW. Worse experience that I have ever had by far. I certainly will continue to patronize BW but I would avoid this property at all costs.
The first room we were assigned to was not clean when we arrived at 3:30 PM. There was trash everywhere, the bathroom was dirty and the sheets had not been changed yet and the carpets were dirty. I went back down to the front desk to complain only to find out we were not the only ones having this issue. The front desk lady, Connie was very apologetic for the problem but you could tell she was very upset with her cleaning staff for these issues. She was also the only staff working at the time of check in so she was stretched very thin. She was able to switch our rooms with no problems. The second room was clean. I took extra caution to check both beds, the floor and the bathroom to make sure they were clean. The pillows were very flat and not comfortable to lay on. The beds were fine, softer than my liking but that's me. The back door did not lock when you left so anyone off the streets could walk into the hotel. I've always enjoyed staying with Best Western and have even stayed with this specific location in the past. Unfortunately this will be my last time staying with this location.
By far the worst experience ever staying at a hotel. They need to do some serious deep cleaning and renovating. The staff was careless. Our room 128... smelled like mold and it was strong. The door lock was broken to the room. I have more pictures and videos but the site won't let me post them all; they have a limit. The jacuzzi faucet was broken and had ants all around it and on the floor. They couldn't even come vacuum the ants up at least since the hotel was sold out.
The staff was very respectful and friendly. Fast check ins and outs, they had a variety for breakfast and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Within a decent distance of shopping malls and food, gas stations near by as well.
This hotel is the prefect location for early flights. My only real negative is that the wall paper or sheet rock paper is coming off in the bathroom. The desk didn't have regular coffee so it was decaf in the room.
This was absolutely the most horrible hotel stay ever! My husband arrived ahead of us and checked in, as my kids and I were returning on a late flight. He immediately noticed the horrible stench of cigarette smoke in the “non-smoking” room and reported it to the front desk. He was told no other rooms were available. My kids and I got in at 1:00 am and the stench was still horrendous, I went to the desk and the male employee apologized and gave me air freshener and Lysol to attempt to clean the room myself and advised me to leave the door open to air out the room. It did not do any good. We tried to find another hotel to switch to, but everything else in the area was full. We suffered through and woke up coughing from smoke. The next morning, we woke up and did not have enough towels for our family members. My husband went to the front desk and was given a bag to put in the dirty towels and told a housekeeper would bring the clean towels and collect the dirty towels. It was like they were implying we would steal their towels! Okay, so he returned to the room, bagged the towels, waited over thirty minutes, and nobody showed! He returned to the front desk and was told they were out of towels. We had to drive to Target to buy towels. The sink was clogged, and the shower head didn't work right and had low pressure, but those were the least of our concerns. As we were walking out of the room, a housekeeper approached and rudely accused us of smoking in the room. We told her we already reported the smoke in the room, none of us smoke, and my kids have asthma. When we went to check out, the desk clerk told us we were all set but didn't ask about our stay. We proceeded to inform her of our nightmare. She apologized and said she would inform management but no manager was there and would not be there until tomorrow. She said we could call her then. The rude housekeeper appeared at the side of the desk and glared at us while we were explaining our experience. We've never been so happy to leave a hotel. The positive here is the motel at the beach with the stolen McDonald's trash can, drug deal in the parking lot, and bugs in the room doesn't look quite as bad.
The lobby area as really nice, but the rooms are the opposite. Rooms are dark and old and they were not cleaned well (note: we checked in on a Sunday night so assuming weekend staff and weekday staff are very different...the housekeeper on Monday was super nice!)
When I stay at a brand name hotel I expect minimum standards. Not the case with this hotel. The check-in person was wonderful. The check out person was indifferent at best. When I checked out I seemed to have interrupted her breakfast even though she was “working”. When I told her about problems with my room she could have cared less. No attempt to take notes to fix the issues or even apologize for the problems. I wasn't offered a receipt on check out and only received a receipt after I replied to the Best Western evaluation. I do not understand the receipt I received. I will have to wait until I get my credit card bill to see what they charged. TV remote did not work. Phone was broken with part of it missing. Almost impossible to use the deadbolt on the door.
Spend the extra money for a better hotel. Trash was left in the room from the previous guest. Items left underneath the bed. For a hotel rated so highly, I was disappointed. It's possible that we just got there on an “off night” and other's experience a better stay.
This hotel was absolutely disgusting and awful. Upon arrival, no one at the hotel was wearing masks during a pandemic which was very awful and already did not make me feel safe. Every front desk worker was rude, did not even talk or was courteous when asking a simple question. Did not receive any room service over the 5 days of stay. Room was dirty upon arrival, and fridge was not even as cold as it should be. Bathroom had hair left in it and also did not even feel comfortable stepping with bare feet on the carpet... Checked the bed for bed bugs because I was that worried. Room was awful at temperature control and felt humid all week - must have been mold or mildew in the room as I became congested over the evenings. Bad smell in hallways and rooms even though I was non smoking. Would not reccommend this hotel to anyone and they need to do an EXTREME CLEAN and improve this location. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
This was the only room we could find near the airport with a jacuzzi in the room. We were pleased! The room was very clean and the whirlpool worked great. Rajer at the front desk was very helpful and made sure I was able to do my laundry// and even printed something I needed off the printer. We would stay again.
First off, I was checking in and was staying in one of the jacuzzi rooms. The front desk lady told us we needed a $200 cash deposit to even stay in the room. What? The room smelled like mildew and the floor was dirty when we checked in, as well as the jacuzzi. This hotel is broke down do not stay here. The free breakfast is not even worth it, go somewhere across the street instead as a hotel option. There wasn't even water served at breakfast, and a lack of fresh fruit only junk.
I had intentionally booked a pre-paid rate that was supposed to be charged to my card immediately because I had an AmEx offer for $20 off a Best Western stay that would expire before the actual date of the stay. I had to call in to ask them to charge my card before the offer expired. Ok, a bit of an annoyance but not a huge deal. During my one-night stay, neither of the front-desk staff when I checked in nor checked out were very polished or professional. When I arrived the staff member was having a conversation with a friend while checking me in and when I left the staff member wasn't manning the front desk but was off lounging on a couch somewhere. Fine, not exactly the most welcoming behavior but it's not like I'm staying 1 night at an airport motel for the service. Definitely the "highlight" was when I went to make myself coffee in the morning with the in-room coffee machine and found that it clearly had not been cleaned; there was a used coffee pouch still in there and it was CAKED in mold. Absolutely disgusting. Also, the hotel is not running a shuttle to the airport right now, but their website makes no mention of this. A large part of my motive to book an airport hotel is based on whether they offer a shuttle to the airport, so this was a significant letdown in terms of value.
We arrive the room was a mess someone was sleeping in the bed. Employees were yelling, cursing in the halls. Cleaning supplies and trash were everywhere. Very unprofessional. Non smoking room had an odor
While the manager is very accommodating, it seems that the cleaning staff is not. Rooms are left unclean with no new towels nor new supplies left in the room. Unsure why those hired to attend to rooms are inattentive to them. One room attendant sometimes cleans in later afternoons or early evenings, but only select rooms. Walking down halls late in the day, one will see room after room of untidiness. A response from one individual at the front desk is that this is due to “covid measures” and yet this unclean standard can breed health issues over time. Also State of Ohio has lifted Covid restrictions this week, but it seems this facility may be leaning upon those in the past to not provide full service. As for breakfast, while not a full meal as usually offered due to covid, is meager at best. Only one of the two washers and dryers work. This is a shame as the actual hotel is in adequate condition otherwise.
Please carry $200 cash with you as they will refuse to check in without it. They don't have an atm on site and you have to make a trip to an atm near by. The rooms smell like smoke and mold. The hallway carpets have pet hair and the front desk were never available. Stay somewhere else
Only booked for the large jacuzzi. Good price for the room. But there were no large towels available during our stay. Breakfast was only yogurt, oatmeal, toast and juice, or dry cereal since there was no milk. Pool closed. Bed wasn't that soft. You can hear the planes very well.
The beds were clean and made up nicely but the rest of the room was barely cleaned. Spaces like behind the bathroom door and between the bed and wall were obviously not swept. The mini fridge was also dirty. There were some other cleanliness issues in the common areas. There were two strange things about this hotel. 1. We were provided pool towels in place of bath towels. 2. The staff was not able to provide any towels outside of the hours housekeeping is in the building. The front desk agent Friday night was the only helpful staff member we encountered this weekend. He was professional and made check in quick. It was disappointing to see the overnight agent and breakfast attendant stand around in conversation early Saturday morning instead of trying to help guests understand how breakfast was being served. This was important considering we were traveling out of state and weren't sure if Ohio had opened dining yet. It caused confusion with multiple guests and the two of them couldn't cut the side chat long enough to provide some direction. Besides the lack of customer service they also lacked professionalism in appearance. I wasn't sure at first the breakfast attendant was even staff because the first thing I noticed was her slippers. The morning front desk agents (also in slippers) seemed overwhelmed and dismissive. Neither of them offered a receipt. All in all the stay was bearable. A well trained and friendly staff would have made all the difference!
We paid $200 w/a $300 deposit for a jacuzzi room. It smelled of mold and moisture. Mold could be seen on the wall and window. It took 30 minutes min to fill the tub and then the towel that was rolled up next to the tub had “something” in the center of it.. The shower curtain was stained as well. Not to mention the nasty feeling carpet..
The check in clerk was very nice & polite. The clerk at check out didn't seem to want to be there & didn't even offer me a receipt. The hallway outside the room smelled of marijuana. The tile floor in the sink/entrance to the room was sticky. There were some pieces of feces on the sides and front of the toilet bowl, luckily I always take clorox wipes with me. The a/c was a little loud and I couldn't get the room a comfortable temperate to sleep, it was too hot & I had it on 68 degrees (and it was in the 30s outside). The bed was a little hard for me, but most people probably wouldn't notice, as I do have some back trouble. There were some stains of the couch. I MIGHT give this location a second try, only because I have a student at OSU and it's close to it.
Our checkin was unfriendly at best. Constant smell of marijuana in the hallways, elevator and even the lobby upon our leaving. Couldn't find the ice machine. Water pressure varies from low to high in the shower. No water in the pool!? And the mask mandate must only be enforced to customers and not staff. No breakfast other than “on the go” grab food. Not a good value for $130
Go to the Comfort Inn across the street. We came to this Best Western to check in with a reservation held on a credit card, and we were asked to give the clerk $100 in cash right then and there. The people in front of us were asked to give $200. No explanation for the differences, though there was a sign saying it was a policy. The clerk said she would keep the cash in an unmarked envelope until we checked out and offered no receipt. I had talked to the hotel twice before we arrived, once in the afternoon of that day. I do not understand why we weren't warned of the policy; why a credit card won't hold the deposit; or why it's so inconsistent and unprofessional that there is no receipt or formal way of recording the deposit. It left me convinced that we might never see our cash again, so we went across the street.
Room was not ready at check in time had to wait 45 minutes. The front desk staff had a “do not care you are bothering me attitude” Neither female apologized. When we were able to enter the room the phone was out of service as well as the tv remote control. Went back to the front desk and continued to wait for a different room. Finally a male I assume was the manager offered us a new room and apologized. Never in my life and we travel quite a bit have we ever been treated so horribly.
This hotel is very noisy make sure if you do stay here stay at least five or six rooms away from the back door or upstairs away from the back door the door slams all night long until 1 in the morning and then starts up again at 5 in the morning
Walked up to front desk and was greeted with a "what are you doing here?" That attitude that we (shouldn't be there) for some reason extended throughout our stay despite us renting the biggest suite. Check-in was almost 2 hours late and they refused to let us wait in the lobby. They also initially refused to check our reservation to see if our room was ready claiming "I know it's not ready yet, they're being cleaned right now". Even though theres no way all 331 rooms were being cleaned at the exact same time. In the morning we went down (having missed breakfast) to see if anything was available. While getting coffee the front desk came and asked again what we were doing and why we were there. Overall some of the worst customer service I've EVER experienced in a hotel. The jacuzzi was nice.
The jetted tub is the reason we stayed here. It was amazing!! The bed was okay. A bit hard. The overall atmosphere at the hotel was nice. I will definitely stay here several more times as I am using this hotel to stay in as my husband is doctoring at the James. Just a very quick interstate drive to the James Cancer Hospital.
Let's start with the bad listing on their website. The deposit is confusing and the way they word things when reserving your room makes it seem like there isn't a deposit and that if just get charged automatically. I've been to this room and I loved it for the mirrors but they took the one good thing about the room away which was disappointing.
My husband, dog Abby and I have been traveling the last 21 days across America and back. We have stayed at a lot of pet friendly hotels a long the way. The staff here was very friendly. Our room was located on the first floor in the back of the hotel which was very convenient to take Abby outside. We felt very safe with the location. The back was very well lit and there was a nice grassy area. There seemed however to be at least one individual parked in in a white van who may have been sleeping in their car. Their music was loud enough for us to hear it in our room. We also could hear just the normal movement of the guests above us in our room. The tub/shower/toilet area was extremely small. The sink and vanity was separate from the tub/shower/toilet area which was convenient. The room was very small and dated. There was dried up gum on the carpet in one area. The breakfast was below average. We understand the current limits caused by COVID. It is my opinion they would be better off offering a grab and go.
We stayed at this hotel because it was near the Chalmers Wylie VA Hospital where my husband was having cataract surgery. The check in had a little hiccup because it was the first day with their credit card machine, but the desk clerk was superb in getting our check in handled. The room was lovely and bed was comfy. I don't think I've ever been in a hotel (other than a luxury hotel) that had towels as fluffy and thick as were these. Being big coffee drinkers I went to the desk to get more coffee pods and the afternoon desk clerk was extremely helpful, even going to the housekeeping room to retrieve more pods for us. The outside area is very pretty and lots of restaurants close by as well as gas stations. We heartily recommend this hotel!
We stayed here during the pandemic so some things were different. Presently no access to pull or hot tub. Breakfast is minimal at best. We had cereal, toast, and yogurt options. Most yogurt was expired so I threw it away myself. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. However, the noise level was not muffled at all.
Clean and safe. The pool was closed due to Covid-19. Front desk was friendly. I would travel here again. They offered breakfast to go also. A weird smell throughout, could be the cleaning products mixed with chlorine from the pool. Check in was smooth and it's next to fast food, gas, and the waffle house.
This hotel is easy to access, very clean and well maintained. The room was comfortable, dark for sleeping, large vanity space, great shower head, good lighting, plenty of outlets. Fabulous bath towels. The bed was a little firm for me. Several fast food options very close. Short drive to better dining options. My only complaint is noisy guests.
This was the worst experience ever. Stayed here April 30th And apparently they made a mistake and gave us a wrong room key to a room, and was supposed to give us the key to another. Anyway first another customer came into my room at about 2am.. then about 7am after my boyfriend left out for work, I stayed.. 3 ppl 2 ladies and it looked like the damn maintenance guy came busting in my room screaming I needed to leave because this room is supposed to be vacant. No knock, no nothing! I was butt naked & they just bust right in my room. And after that I had to call him cause they obviously didn't believe me. all they offered was a f***ing apology. Yea right after you humiliated me! I WILL NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE STAYING HERE!!!!
Good enough for the short time I was there, not the best. it's in a little bit of a sketchy area. Which is ok for work but i wouldn't bring family. had a strong chlorine smell and the shower curtain didn't close well so the floor got soaked.
Just as expected. Easy access, convenient, and affordable. We need overnights for trips to OSU Medical Canter and this location is clean and easy to get that rest before stressful appointments. Staff is always very accommodating.
We were disappointed to not have a pool available. We were told the health department closed it down. Surprised that the pool was open the next day when we left. The staff was friendly and the rooms were priced according to the area. The rooms where clean and comfortable. We did have a disturbed night with teens below that eventually turned into 10 cop cars coming in and out for the next few hours. I great nights sleep was not had be either of us. I expect this is not a normal night. Though it left a bad feeling with me.
The general manager Beth was amazing. I stay in Best Western Hotels across the country regularly and this was some of the best service ever. Clean, wonderful jacuzzi for two. Couldn't ask for better! I was just staying in town for convenience but stay often and will make this our regular hotel. Thank you! *A diamond select member* S. Jensen
Arrived at the airport and called for pickup. Myself and two other passengers stood in the falling snow and mush for over 35 minutes waiting for pickup, and the hotel is 3 minutes from the airport. I called the desk 5 or 6 times and each time the person was not friendly and made some excuse as to why the driver was late. When the driver did arrive, he made no mention as to why he was late. The young girl at the desk was not friendly at all and gave the impression that we were more of a problem than a customer. We came down later to have dinner (nearby) and there was a new receptionist, the driver and an unknown person at a dining table eating. I suspect that is why the driver was late, as he was getting their dinner. I would not stay at this hotel again. I was there on February 12, 2020 and arrived at the airport at 7:00 P.M.
Generally clean and in good shape. The elevator is busy on a weekend morning, so if you are able to request a room closer to the stairs and able to use them will save you significant time. Staff did a good job keeping breakfast items supplied with a full house.
The breakfast was not very good. The bathroom was out of order in the pool and there is no hot tub. We asked for extra towels in our room and that was not provided. Overall slightly disappointing. One good thing was our room was clean and the jacuzzi bath was very nice.
Cold breakfast. Eggs cold, sausage cold and burnet, potato's cold and under cooked, Musty smell in hall and elevator room was smaller than the usual king room I stay in, decor and furniture a little out dated
It was my first time staying at Best Western and it was a great experience. The guest room was very clean. The indoor pool was warm and clean. The breakfast was warm, fresh and delicious. At night time was a quiet place. The employees did a great job. Excellent customer service.
Right at the airport with shuttle service to and from. We were happy that we could keep our car there for a week when we took our trip. The shuttle was efficient and clean. Hotel rooms were just fine, along with the breakfast area.
Any and everytime I stay here i never want to leave,The staff is very helpful and location is the best and is major freeway accessible minutes away from shopping and the staff is very helpful and pleasant
Our room was clean, but dated. Breakfast was adequate. Location is close to the highway. Check in was quick and the staff friendly. Nothing special, but overall it met our needs and we would stay again.
The hotel and room was very clean, the breakfast was great, and all staff we encountered where very friendly. It was within walking distance to eat or you have many options for delivery. Our room was upgraded upon check in to a whirlpool suite. The suite was clean and the whirlpool was relaxing.
We had just the best experience staying here. We needed long term parking and Rajer and the shuttle drivers were simply the "Best!" We were able to park for 5 days taken to the airport and picked up with a seamless experience. The shuttle drivers were on time, courteous and just a real joy to work with but it all started with the service manager Rajer who went out of his way to make sure that was one leg of our trip that was worry free. Hotel was clean, well lit and security was very visible. Will stay again!!!
Very convenient location. The gas station is open 24hrs which is great when you're leaving early like me at 3:30am. Overall very comfortable. Unable to obtain receipt due to audit, but it was emailed....
From the time I checked in to the time I checked out. Everyone from the deont door clerk to breakfast attendant. Everyone was very polite and helpful. First time at this hotel. I will definitely stay here again. Clean rooms. Great breakfast.
I would highly recommend this Hotel. The staff from Front Desk to maintenance were on the Spot, 24/7. I was in and out all hours, every interaction was perfect, much respect given. The pool experience was the Best, the special attention from the maintenance guy was a real plus. He made sure we were comfortable and he even brought towels to us personally, Top notch. Bravo!
Connie and Rajer at the Best Western Port Columbus provided amazing and truly outstanding service!! I had some issues with packages delivery during work travel and they went above and beyond to follow-up and help me with this. Their friendliness and eagerness to help is an example of true quality service and I had the greatest impression of the Best Western because of them. Top quality staff! and great facilities
Spent the night before our trip to DisneyWorld. BW close to airport, and we were able to leave our car there during our trip. Totally great deal!! Hotel clean, convenient, and all around great! Took us by shuttle at 430a and on time!
We stayed there for a conference we had to attend for school. The hotel staff was the friendliest I have come across in a very long time. The staff went above and beyond and made our stay very enjoyable. Definitely a hotel we will visit again.
It's a bit of a task to find this place, but if you have a GPS it will help. It's a very nice, well kept property that is clean and quiet. Great breakfast and a beautiful indoor pool. Room was very nicely appointed.
We stayed at this airport last weekend. The staff was great. The rooms were very nice and clean. The Best Western shuttle bus took us to the airport and back when we returned from our trip. I would definately stay at this hotel in the future.
I stayed in a 2-queen-bed room. Plenty of space, quite and clean. Beds and pillows were good. I slept like a rock. Air conditioning worked well. Electrical and plumbing worked well. Good hot water supply. One the first day of my stay, the breakfast was consistent with what I have seen at a Best Western Plus. Waffles, fresh omelets with real cheddar cheese, and grapefruit halves in the fridge (I have never seen that in a hotel breakfast, and it was great). Only the waffles were there the second day, but it was still good. Service was good (not great). The hotel is right next to the Interstate loop, and access to any part of Columbus, the surrounding area or the airport is convenient. I have had a long string of good experiences at Best Western around the country, and this was no exception. I would stay here again.
We were attending the All American Quarter Horse Congress. The hotel was just a few miles from the fairgrounds, so it was a quick and easy trip. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful when checking in. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Mini fridge, microwave, coffee, flat screen TV. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. The free breakfast was awesome. This is the 2nd time we had stayed at this hotel and I highly recommend it.
Friendly smiling staff. Breakfast staff was welcoming and helpful. Front desk friendly and smiling and always asking if we needed anything Room cleaners were gracious and accommodating and honored every request we made
This location got a 5 from me, even before we walked in the door. Our son and his wife stayed here a couple months back, and they treated them like family. For us, it was also great, and we'd definitely stay again.
We stayed here for a relative's wedding and the location was 4 miles away. It was the same night at Ohio State's homecoming game; it was still quiet. I booked 6 weeks in advance and had a first floor room. Room was very clean. Front desk person was very nice. And the workers attending the breakfast were very attentive and friendly. As a gold member, we received a room upgrade with a jacuzzi. Would stay here again and would recommend.
I spent most of my time outside if the hotel, but whole there I had a great experience. The pool was pretty and so was the hot tub. They have a nice little convenience store. I enjoyed my whole stay. The beds are more firm ,but I like firm bed .
I always try to stay at Best Western properties when traveling. I arrived at the property and was welcomed with a smile by Mr. Rajer Brown who was working the front desk. He went the extra mile to make sure I was pleased... He answered my questions, told me the breakfast hours and location, informed me about the pool area, and showed me to the elevator... He even offered to help me with my bags!!! The room was clean and had no “weird smell”. I stayed in a jacuzzi suite and found the room to be spacious with tasteful decor. I will rebook at this hotel when I'm in town and I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone looking for a nice clean hotel with stellar customer service! Thank you Mr. Rajer Brown for being so welcoming and professional... YOUR excellent customer service is one of the reasons I will continue to use Best Western!!!!!!!!!!
This was the best place I've ever stayed with my dogs. We've been given some pretty shabby accommodations at other hotels. This room was immaculate and in excellent condition. I got a ground floor room near an exit, just as requested. The clerk even thanked me for being honest about having dogs! The rear of the hotel faces an open field, providing a good place for dog walking. The kids loved the pool and the breakfast. All in all, a great experience!
This BW has everything on my must-have list: indoor pool, free parking, internet and breakfast., room fridge. Pros: Clean well-maintained property, excellent free breakfast, super friendly helpful staff. Great parking with key-card access doors around the building. Fast free internet. Extra blanket provided in room. Cons: Uncomfortable beds with small cheap foam-filled pillows. Rooms are on the small side. The sink is located in the room entry, not in the bathroom. Indoor pool is adjacent to the lobby and in full view of the lobby and side parking lot.
Landed at midnight and caught an Uber to the hotel. Check in of the gentleman in front of us was painful. We finally checked in after a half hour wait. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome (eggs, sausage, & potatoes) and the hosts were really friendly.
We came down for an OSU game and were extremely impressed with this hotel. Clean, very modern, great parking, and lots of options for breakfast. Rajer hooked us up with snacks and an upgraded room when he saw it was my birthday! You won't be disappointed!
We enjoyed every thing about our stay. We had a handicap accessible room which really was handicap accessible. We had a Jacuzzi in our room which was very clean and nice, in good working condition. We slept very well.
I was very disappointed with the conditions of this hotel The place needs a serious facelift. You'd think it would be better being that it's so close to the airport. To many things to mention. Always stay at a Best Western plus or better.
The hotel looked great as we drove up. Staff was friendly at front desk. Breakfast variety was wonderful and staff was friendly. Room decor was up to date and room was clean. Bathroom area was of adequate size and clean.
Rooms need a facelift. Carpet is dated and old and dirty gooey looking, needs to be replaced with tile to make easier to clean properly. Cooling system is older, the air in the room is damp and a musty smell. Rooms are small, so you will feel as if your stepping all over each other
I specifically wanted this room for the jacuzzi and the tub did not disappoint. We loved it. However, we noticed as soon as we walked into the room that it smelled like mildew. The window had been made so that it couldn't be opened. And there wasn't a fan anywhere. Not even one in the bathroom. We heard people yelling in the hall and assumed we got unlucky with loud neighbors until we left the room and saw that it was housekeeping yelling down the hall at each other. In addition, our toilet ran for a long time after every flush and made very high pitched sounds. The breakfast was really good, the jacuzzi tub was great, checking in and out was quick and easy. The location was also perfect. It only took fifteen minutes or less to get to just about anywhere we wanted to go. However, simply because of the smell in the room (which may not be an issue for rooms that don't have jacuzzi tubs), I would recommend paying a little more for a different hotel.
Recently stayed on 8/8 got there after a long day behind the wheel from Owensboro Ky. Initially I was slightly disappointed the water was temporarily off. In all complete fairness to hotel. It wasn't the hotels fault! They had a broken boiler that had to be replaced, It was a 2 day job. And they did make guests aware of the problem with a sign at the front desk. I was very tired and somewhat grouchy. So I checked in anyway. The water was back on within 30-45 mins! And maintenance stopped by to ask if water was back on. I informed them yes it was. Put pressure weak. He told me will take some time to rebuild pressure. He was right! This was a very mild inconvenience, Now the extreme positives!!! The hotel is beautiful and well kept with pride! The pools beautiful, Didn't get to use it, But nice! Breakfast good on par with most major chains. The room very clean. The bed wonderful! The shower pressure awesome! Plenty of big thirsty towels. Too tired to go out and eat. Donatos Pizza just off the property! Ordered from there, A little pricey but very good. The GM and staff so nice and welcoming! A far cry from the staff at Laquinta Columbus 8 days before! This hotel gets a huge thumbs up! The Best Western Chain keeps getting better and better! Thank You for all your kindness! My wife and I will return in Nov on our way back to Ky for Thanksgiving! Sincerely Tom Crabtree Trexlertown Pa
First I want to say I got an awesome deal on this hotel (Hotwire) before a flight so I was already a winner!! This hotel gets 3 stars because while some things are above average there are a few things that bring the rating back down The good- Location. It is close to the airport and Easton town center and they offer a free shuttle to both. This was a lifesaver considering my plane left later in the evening. The employees were very nice and helpful. Sorry I didn't catch names but the young woman working breakfast and young man the ran the shuttle that day were especially pleasant. The room was also clean. The not as good- the pool was dirty. My son said it looked like someone cleaned their hairbrush out in the pool. The heat lamp didn't work in the bathroom and the beds were not very comfortable. Breakfast was ehh. Some microwaved egg circles, potatoes and sausage links. The waffles were ok and there was cere cereals and breads and a good many beverages to choose from. Overall good hotel and there are close food choices and a speedway close for snacks. I would stay again
Excellent service and staff was amazing. Breakfast staff was the best. Very helpful. Room could have been a little bigger as my wheelchair barely made it thru the room. Location was excellent location to the Ohio Expo as we attended the fair.
Rooms aren't the largest, but clean and comfortable. Eggs, sausage or bacon along with typical breakfast fare. What makes this location stand out is the staff. Super friendly and always asking if there is anything they can do to make the stay more enjoyable.
The staff and service at this hotel are second to none, great personalities and a very comfy hotel ass well I will definitely be back, the amenities and staff were really amazing and the breakfast was good as well.
How can I put into words the staff is amazing from the time you walk in to the time you walk out. Rajer and Niemma front desk were so efficient and friendly. room was as expected of best westerns clean and comfortable . Shnell has such a wonderful personality she makes you feel at home. Niemma was at the front desk again she is a beauty inside and out. Never did get the girl that cleaned rooms but she was super friendly you have an amazing group here. They are an example of what all hotels should strive for. Thank you.
I found this hotel through CURewards and hands down, by far, this is the best hotel outside of a 5 star luxury resort that I have ever stayed in. The room was immaculately clean. The check-in and housekeeping staff were amazing! Very hospitable and friendly, I felt like I was at Chick-Fil-A. I mean I could sing the praises of this hotel all day. The complimentary breakfast was awesome. Well worth the price of this hotel. Whenever coming to Columbus I will definitely be staying at this hotel from now on!!!!!
Best Western is a great and reliable hotel if you need a fairly priced hotel with all the comfort features of a much more expensive hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. The bathroom was a bit tight but adequate. I thought the pillows could have been a bit better but I didn't bother room service to see if they had softer ones. Overall a great place
My friend and I were on a mini vacation with our 2 children loved the hotel the boys loved the pool. The beds were comfy the breakfast was awesome my son enjoyed making his own waffle and the chocolate milk. The staff was AMAZING they were so nice and willing to help us.
The hotel was clean and staff was excellent. Easy to get to OSU campus from here. Only problem was internet in our room wasn't great. Breakfast options were more than we expected and we're different on two mornings.
Best experience we've ever had at a hotel. Will be back for sure. If you are in this area Best Western is the best place to stay, Connie was amazing and we will never forget how great she was to us and our children for sure.
My family just finished up our stay here while road tripping from Wisconsin to DC. The moment we walked in, the front desk staff greeted us with smiles and every single staff member we encountered during our stay asked us how we were doing, if we needed anything, and/or if we were enjoying our stay. The breakfast was your typical Best Western hot breakfast and the staff members kept things constantly stocked during the busy breakfast rush. Our room was clean and the beds were very comfortable, with plenty of pillows. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others who need a nice place to stay in the Columbus area. Special thanks to the management staff for hiring people who seem to genuinely care about the guests...and to the staff, we appreciate you and your hard work to make our stay pleasant.
Nice place to stay. Accommodations were exactly what was advertised. Easy location to find.. short distance from freeway. Clean accommodations. Have had some issues in the past with some of the best western locations.. this one gets good reviews.
No Problems here and very clean. Great Breakfast Easy check in and check out. Highly recommend. Great Area easy access to highways. Adequate parking. Just a great place all employees were helpful and friendly
Sketchy area, big bullet proof glass in store near entrance road to this hotel. Hotel was clean for most part. Breakfast was unremarkable. Little pillows on bed are terrible. Do you think people have pillows like this at home? Average stay.
The room was small for three. Beds okay. Breakfast ok. Shower curtain rod fell on our daughter's head but thankfully no injury. Reported to desk on a Friday night and was quickly repaired satisfactorily
Thank you Ms. Schnell and the staff of Columbus Airport BW. Staying with you all felt like staying with family. Most everyone is pleasantly helpful and accommodating. The front desk staff greet you and inquire about your stay daily. The Breakfast service manager is fantastic. She makes you feel like your dining at a gourmet restaurant. The hotel manager is visible and readily available to greet her guest and assist in any way possible.
This is our go to hotel when flying out of Columbus airport. The staff is always friendly and efficient, the hotel is clean and the rooms comfortable. We love the convenience of leaving our car at the hotel when we travel. They provide an efficient, friendly shuttle service to and from the airport. Overall, this hotel is perfect for our traveling needs!
We had an early Morning flight out of the Columbus airport. The staff was very helpful with the check In and check out process. The rooms were clean and well kept. When the need arises we will definitely choose this hotel to stay at again.
This Best Western had great service, and even better breakfast! The people that I encountered during my stay in Columbus were very kind, and they treated us great. We showed up earlier than expected and even got us into a room early, one that was already cleaned and ready to go.
The manager was incredibly rude, dismissive, and interrupted me while speaking. Overall I would not go back, the room was fine clean and basic, but the way I was treated by the staff was unacceptable.
This is the best staff ever for a hotel. Everyone so helpful and nice. The lady in charge of the breakfast is the best. I will give you an example of how good she is, A young mother came in carrying a 16 month old and the lady had a high chair ready to put at whatever table the young lady wanted to sit at and got the young mother some food for the child so she didn't have to carry her baby and try to get food. I thought that was awesome.
Very friendly staff, professional. Good breakfast. Halls & elevator reeked of marijuana. Bed uncomfortable. Pool location weird. Pricey for experience. Far from elevator- elderly mom traveled for cancer treatments. Noisy, maybe next to laundry room we think. Quite outdated.
The main purpose was to attend a graduation. The location is very convenient for the graduation and family visits. Very nice accommodations. Will use again in the future. We will also plan on using Best Western for stay in other cities.
My husband and I drove in for the Sonic Temple festival and we could not have picked a better location to stay. It was not only minutes away from the venue but it was the most relaxing weekends we have ever had. The staff was amazing and the property was clean, comfortable and peaceful. They said they were packed but we did not hear anything when in our room.
Sheena the hotel manager and her staff is 200% about customer service and ensuring that our team stay was the best. Our team travels a lot and stays at numerous hotels during the year. This hotel our whole team agreed, "proved to be our home away from home". The rooms were clean, the pool was well taken care of and open, and the weight room was always open and clean. Breakfast was the best with fresh fruit, cereal and hot food provided by Mendy. The cleaning staff was amazing, everyone saying hello and willing to chat and make you feel welcome. Shanni part of the house cleaning staff was always ready to be helpful and ensuring our rooms were 100% to standard and clean. Staci worked the lobby always made sure greeted us as we walked in. Even going out of her way to ensure that we were signed up with the Best Western Rewards program. Every hotel chain will give you the information, very few staffs will take the time to sign you up. When we go back, that will be our place to stay. I highly recommend it for others looking for a home away from home.
We arrived late and left early. We found the staff very accommodating, especially the attendant at breakfast. We heard no neighbors and the airplane noise was not bad at all. The bed was firm, but not well padded---an upgrade here would make all the difference. The room was clean.
What's not to like? The staff are very friendly and helpful. My room was nice and very clean. Even though it is near the airport, it was quiet. The included breakfast was substantial. The price was reasonable. There is an on-site fitness room and an in door pool. Parking is free and an airport courtesy shuttle is available. If ever again in Columbus, I'd be happy to return to this lodging.
Roger made the check-in process quick and easy. He is an excellent front desk representative. I had left my car keys at the hotel when I checked out, Roger went to the housekeeping cart and found them, and had them sent out the next morning.
The staff treated me very well. I enjoyed a nice comfortable stay. The night auditor that checked me in was very prompt at getting me checked in. Breakfast was great and the room was very comfortable and quiet.
Come to Columbus for a weekend get away. Arrived Friday night, all was well. Check in was very smooth, and we were able to get up to our room in no time. Went across the street to the McDonald's where we ordered then had our food walked out to us because someone at the pick-up window wouldn't leave, went quickly back to our room before stuff got ugly. Remainder of Friday night was good, all was quiet despite the hotel being full of sports teams. Saturday night is where it got fun, around 3am (Sunday), awoken to screaming coming from across the hall. Domestic dispute that warranted the arrival of 6 Columbus City police officers to arrive and escort the man out of the building. We were able to get a 25% discount taken off that night's stay. Also the whirlpool takes forever to fill, and you can only have the jets for 15 minutes before they turn off and you have to either a) get out and turn them back on, or b) just get out.
My son and I stayed at this hotel for one night. The staff was friendly and efficient. Our room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. The hotel is easy to get to and located near some restaurants. There is a pool, we did not use it, but it looked well-maintained. Would stay here again.
Like all BWs we've stayed at, the value was excellent. We were particularly pleased by the friendly and helpful staff at this facility. They were enthusiastic and sincere in their approach and demeanor. For a facility in Columbus and not far from Mapfre stadium, this is by far the best deal going.
Spent three nights at BW Port Columbus last week. Very positive experience, especially because all the staff--desk clerks, breakfast room workers, maids--were outstanding. The room was very clean and comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. Although we were near the airport and planes zoomed overhead, we could barely hear the planes in our room on the top floor. One drawback was the sink, which was in the room and separate from the bathroom. Since there were three of us, one person shaving, or brushing teeth , or putting on make-up at the sink meant that the light was on and the others had to be awake as well. Complimentary breakfast was excellent, including eggs, bacon/sausage, and delicious apple fritters. Small but adequate fitness room and spacious indoor pool were clean and popular. We would definitely stay there again!
Upon entering this hotel I was pleasantly surprised. For many years I had categorized Best Western with the local La Quinta and Days Inn, in my mind the Jeopardy answer would be - What are: places college students stay. However, this location appears to have done some polishing despite the fact that is right next to the highway. Our first day was uneventful as we were visiting family much of the day and came in late. Unfortunately, after getting settled, my husband sat on the bed to read and noticed an insect. It was confirmed to be a bedbug. The manager quickly and quietly gave us a new room (we had a long road trip in the morning and had to stay put). He assured us he would "take care of us" upon check out. We stayed in the new room and checked out at 4 am. Sleeping was fitful at best. Clearly, we should not have been billed for the full amount of a stay at the very least to compensate us for the inconvenience. To show good faith, he could have comped the night considering the fact that we discovered their pest, had to come home and secure our own things to make certain we did not carry any critters with us, and couldn't really sleep in preparation for our long drive. But, alas, our bill was for the full amount. The room that we were changed to appeared cleaner, fresher and newer than the one we initially had, but all that said, is there any way to ensure against bedbugs - YES. Should we have to move ourselves after discovering one and pay full price for the journey - NO. I think I will put Best Western airport Columbus back in the "do not stay" category. At the very least I offer a word of caution - Boarder Beware.
Just wanted to let people know we had a very nice experience with the Best Western at Port Columbus. We used their parking while we went on a trip to Costa Rica and stayed before and after returning from our trip due to airline departure and arrival times. The staff was absolutely wonderful in accommodating our needs for airport transportation and our car was parked in a safe, well lighted area. Upon our return our flight did not arrive until 11:30 pm and by the time we got our bags it was midnight and normally they do not shuttle after midnight. I called and they said they would send someone even though it was late, Want to than Rajer Brown for being patient and waiting on us at the airport for shuttle service. Also, our room was clean and the breakfast was very nice.
Friendly, clean, and overall A+ The location is centrally located and has extremely easy access to all the necessary roads and freeways. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast offers a wide choice of food.
Very clean hotel. Staff was very nice and all asked if there was anything they could do for me. Great breakfast and pool area. Have stayed at this hotel for different work trips. Retured for the service and the cleanliness.
I had good experience with Best Western Brand nationwide. This one, I was disappointed. First, I was not sure the beddings were washed— can't find another reason why they are wrinkled, unless there was someone slept on it. second, it was noisy even close to midnight. Other than that, the staff was nice and the breakfast was not bad.
First, I want to say that our room was clean and quiet and the bed and pillows were some of the most comfortable ever! Slept like a baby! Second, thanks to all those who helped me over the phone to reserve rooms for us and our family. So friendly, professional and patient. They took the time to answer all my questions and book our rooms. Great first impression! :) Next, our room was so clean and we want to thank the gal who took the time to make that happen. She was also so friendly in the hallway, when we left, and wished us a good day! The breakfast was very good and the gals that were there, obviously took pride in their work, as they made sure we had everything we needed and were friendly as well. I remember their smile. So nice! Finally, Best Western never disappoints. It is most always our first choice. Thanks so much and keep up the good work, Team Best Western Port Columbus! God bless!
The room I had was a little musty. When I went to shower I saw that the spout was loose and when I stepped in the tub, it was a bit sticky (gross!). I filled my water bottle up at the water dispenser in the dining room and it smelled strongly of bleach. The front desk clerks were very nice though. Good if you're only using it to sleep in at an affordable price. Very close to the airport and ten minute drive from downtown.
We had caught the shuttle Friday morning, and the Front desk Representative (Chris) was very energetic and it was nice to be greeted with a smile and friendly “Good Morning” along with the breakfast and coffee set up that was presented..........The shuttle driver on the other hand was the complete opposite.....he was cussing in the lobby when we first came down, then was rude and unfriendly from the beginning to the end of the ride. We felt rushed and felt as if we were a inconvenience asking for a ride. We will NOT be asking for a shuttle again, Uber or Cab will be our transportation when we return.
It was really nice, everyone was very helpful and very nice, I wish that I could had stayed longer, The beds were very good, I slept like a baby, I wished that they had more selection for breakfast :)
We were able to bring our small dog and the room and all services were very good for the low price we paid. Would recommend to anyone who is not looking to spend a ton but wants a decent place to spend a night.
Staff at this location is great! My room was clean and the facility is quite. Breakfast is decent considering it's complementary. You won't be disappointed with your stay here.Prime location, minutes from Easton Shopping plaza, right by major highways, you are surrounded by great entertainment, four star eating for a resonable rate.
This was the most friendly staff I have seen in a BW. I did have an issue with the tub drain. It was handled that day! I stay in hotels about 1/3 of my life. This level of attention to detail is second to none.
This place was very clean and the staff was so very friendly. This was one of the best breakfasts that I have had in a long time. Food was hot and good. Kaelae was very cheerful and seemed to love her job.
This is our go to when traveling to Columbus. We normally have anywhere between 4-6 ppl in our party. The rooms are clean and the beds super comfy. Love the fact that the mattresses are kept in a nice zippered covering. Shower pressure is great! The service is impeccable and the staff overly kind and helpful. The breakfast bar is great almost anything you'd like from cheesy eggs, potatoes, sausage biscuits, gravy bacon, crescents, danishes, toast, bagels, waffles, pancakes hot cereals and toppings, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, fresh varied coffees and creamers and various juices, THe best is a fire place in the breakfast area which is very comfy warm and lodge like. If you need a to go bag just ask. Front desk is wonderful and the indoor pool is very large and clean. Safe. I just love it here. Great value.
Staff was very friendly. Room was spacious. Housekeeping could use some improvement and some items in the room were worn. Breakfast was nice, offering some healthy ish items. Great choice for using the airport.
No recognition of being a loyalty member, no upgrade available after I asked and no other amenities offered. The room was tiny and almost impossible for two people to pass between the bed and the Dresser. Breakfast was not up to what you can usually expect at a Best Western and cleanliness was lacking in the bathroom.
The pillows were too soft, we would have liked more firmer pillows, i requested them when i booked the room but we didn't get them so we put two pillows together in a pillow case to make it more thicker.
What a great staff at this hotel. I accepted a job offer while staying at the hotel and they were so accommodating to me with things I needed scanned and e-mailed to me. Great guest service and wonderful attitudes! Thanks for all of your help! This was my second stay at this hotel and it exceeded all expectations.
A nice hotel, the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There are limited food options within walking distance. The breakfast was standard fare for a hotel of this type. Will stay again.
Nice stay before our early flight. Checking in was very smooth. The manager checked us in was very pleasant. Room was very clean and quiet. Parking lot was well lighted. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. There is a pool but we did not use it.
This is a great hotel, especially for the price. The site was very clean and our room super comfortable. The location is also very convenient. The staff was AMAZING! We interacted with front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance personnel and all of them greeted us warmly and were wonderfully friendly. Can't say enough nice things about the people that work here!!
The hotel was clean and a great location. Close to hwy, , restaurants and not far from shopping. The staff from check in, shuttle drivers, to housekeeping were extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds were nice neat and plenty of parking. Safe beautiful place to stay.
in inclement weather I worked from th airport at 10pm to get a room - the Guest service Manager Rajer Brown was exceptional and calm when i was distraught. He got me in and made sure I was well taken care of. At the breakfast buffet another hotel employee named Crystal stood out, offering exceptional service.
What a great Stay for us. The in room Jacuzzi was really spacious and the staff was Top Notch. I have never had an experience as Welcoming and fun as this one. The price was great and they shuttled us To and From the Cheese cake Factory.
Staff is great, hotel is clean and taken care of. Great breakfast. What more cold you ask for? We've been to this location about ten times over the years and Beth the General Manager is always so nice and pleasant. During breakfast she talks to the guests and comes to your table and asks if you need anything. What General Manager does that? The attitude of excellent customer service runs throughout the staff. Highly recommend!
The front desk went out of their way to Help,The Supv of housekeeping went out of her way and was awesome. Chris drove us to the mall and to the airport. He was too cool and great at his job. My child left loving Ohio. The room was nice too. Thank you for making my trip nice.
Hi: When we checked in on Friday afternoon, Elizabeth Sweet and Rajer Brown took care of us. There were 3 of us. My husband and me and my father-in-law. They honored my request to have the two rooms near each other (actually next door) and to not put us near the elevator. They were very friendly as we explained why we were in town to attend our daughter's wedding. They even tried to see if we had a reward card. We could not remember if we did or not. Then on Sunday morning at the buffet we met a really nice and friendly worker. My father-in-law met her first when he got his coffee. Anyway, her name is Crystal Gibson. She was funny and hard-working. All 3 of these employees are an asset to your company. Thanks!
Had a wonderful experience. The room was great. The desk guy was over the top helpful. He made sure we had extra coffee in the room and made us an early breakfast before it was time to be out. We had to leave for the airport at 3:30am and he had food ready and waiting on us!! Thanks for going the extra mile.
Checked in last night and had a pleasant surprise. We were given a room with a jacuzzi tub and let me tell you, it was fantastic. Slept great as I was able to get all the muscle aches out. Very spacious and comfortable bed. Very clean and quiet too. Great value!!!
Had a wonderful stay. Checked in late in the evening and had to check out for an extremely early flight. John at the front desk brought us up extra room coffee and made us breakfast, hours before it was suppose to be out. To help occomodate our travels. Went above and beyond. Thank you.
Awesome experience clean rooms and excellent customer service. Front desk very professional and excellent housekeeping services. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that will be visiting the Columbus Ohio area.
Staff was friendly and efficient. GM Elizabeth was a delight. Room was clean and spacious and very quiet. Breakfast was better than expected, totally adequate to start the day. Nearby fast food joints would be handy for some.
It took quite a bit of time to set up the logistics as it does for any reunion. The photos on the website were outdated and there were changes when we arrived. The hotel was clean. The parking is limited and there is no room for larger vehicles, Motor homes Campers and if you are chartering a coach for your event, It has to park out in the street and you must walk out to it. The hot tub is no longer there and the pool is very nice. The general appearance is clean and tidy, The rooms were on the small side but fine for two to 4 people to just sleep. The bathrooms are very tight and you have to move around to open and close the door. The commodes are low to the ground. The shower is ample but slippery when soap is on the bottom. The Meeting room was ample for up to 30 people. The staff is used to wandering through and has to be instructed not to do so if you want to keep it locked. The ice machines can not handle keeping small trays of soft drinks cold and we were asked NOT to use the ice because other people needed it and we had to purchase 22 pound bags at the service station across the way the second and third day there, The morning breakfast was cold three of four mornings. A basic folded egg omlet with American cheese Seasoned waffle fries each day and turkey sausages. One day they substituted german sausage pieces for turkey sausae, The OJ had enough pulp to choke you. The last morning of our reunion was Sunday and they made sausage gravy and biscuits which were awesome... The Front desk clerks are personable, Warm Friendly and Helpful. There is no night serviceman at the hotel if a problem arises. You have to wait until morning for repairs. The rates from the hotel management are way to high for what they have to offer I strongly advise you to search out acceptable rates on the online travel sites which are at least 30 dollars cheaper per night. Our guests could have saved a bundle. All in all we had a good time because we have been having reunions for the past 20 years and can make it work no matter what the situation. This has been honestly the first hotel that We stayed at that we go more expensive rates for our group than anyone savvy enough to use the Online sites to make reservations....
Love how convient it was to shopping , restaurants and The Ohio State Stadium. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping were pleasant and helpful. And loved the different options offered for breakfast especially the waffles.
Clean, staff had attitude though and were so-so friendly, floors are rather thin, gas and McDonalds near by. No decent food nearby, Wi-Fi 34-130 but mostly 34. Two printers and comps but only one worked and that one was occupied by staffs kids and relatives all night. Could not print my boarding pass due to staff kids using the comp. My Aug 2018 Sunday rate was good though $84 for the hotel and $15 for the Gov. The airport is Very easy to get to from here but it's unlikely I will stay here again. Will get a lot further away from the airport next time.
The rooms are nice with all the extras you would like, coffee, fridge, microwave, free breakfast, free shuttle to and from anywhere within 5 miles, etc.. Where this hotel really excels is with their staff. All staff, [housekeepers, front desk, shuttle drivers] where friendly and polite .Shout out to Beth, Amonte and especially Charles, who are just down to earth nice people. You exceeded our expectations...... big fans of Best Western Port Columbus!
The hotel was undergoing renovations, but we were warned that when we booked. The front desk clerk was amazing during check in. She recommended things to do in the area, like the food truck festival and comedy shows at the local comedy club. The location was near everything. This being said, it is expected to be loud from traffic, airplains, etc. The room set up was a little odd. The sink to the restroom was not in the actual restroom. It was in the room. So if you showered and wanted to get ready while others slept, you couldnt because it would wake them because the sink/mirror/blow dryer was at the foot of the bed. The house keepers started knocking on doors at 8am. This hotel does allow pets and there were dogs barking all night long.
I arrived late after having booked on Priceline. The price was quite good, but I know what to expect with BW. The first room I was assigned was on the 3rd floor where renovations were going on; my room was right next to the construction zone and the smell was overwhelming. I asked to be moved and this request was immediately accommodated. I had a good night's sleep. I barely heard planes taking off or landing. Breakfast is OK; nothing special, but there are hot entrees. This place is basic, clean and affordable.
Had a flight cancelled and needed to stay overnight.5 minutes from hotel. Free shuttle & reasonable rate. Pool. Free breakfast. The room was great. Fridge, microwave, nice towels, ice, clock radio, extra pillows, ironing board, desk. If you stay here, ask the front desk for the menu for Pizzano's. Take out & delivery about 2 miles away. Stromboli, Pizza, Baked Pasta, salads, Gyros. SO tasty, good & very reasonable. Friendly & helpful shuttle driver and front desk.
Staff were welcoming, conscientious, and helpful. They assisted me in getting my breakfast together and getting it safely upstairs. After I left, I was on the shuttle to the airport when the shuttle driver got a call from another staff member that I had forgotten my sunglasses. He promptly turned around and picked them up for me and then we were on our way. I have glaucoma and need sunglasses to prevent further vision loss, so I am deeply grateful. I also appreciate that the shuttle was available when I needed it. I didn't have to wait until a group was assembled to get the ride I needed.
The hotel was good for the price. You get everything you pay for. The hotel staff is nice and helpful and the hotel was pretty clean. It had everything that you would expect. Very average hotel room, no complaints no praises.
This hotel was very nice. I have stayed at many of the hotel around the airport, however this one was far enough away that you didn't hear the planes all night! The room was very clean. The staff was also helpful.
Looking for hotel near Easton Mall, Only 4 miles away, excellent price for this hotel, compared to Mall hotels, excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very clean, nice breakfast, will be coming back for Christmas season.
We were driving through Columbus on our way back to NY and needed a place to stay for the night. We compared the prices and options in the area and this hotel was our choice. Great staff!! Friendly and helpful. Great price as well compared to the surrounding hotels. We recommend this for any traveler.
we traveled to Columbus for a family reunion, over sixty people. they were well prepared for us and the rooms were excellent. although it was located close to the airport we heard no planes while in our rooms. the staff were very helpful and friendly.the manager was very helpful as we needed help to complete a cookout. his name was roger brown our thanks to him many times over.
We travel to Columbus frequently for my son's doctor's appnts at NCH. We almost always stay at this Best Western, which can be booked at a great rate through travel sites. The rooms are clean, the beds and pillows are comfy. The breakfast in the morning has a great selection and we always leave stuffed, ready for a day of appnts. Now, I would also like to add that the management is AWESOME! The manager remembers us, even remembers that when our daughter is with us, she has dietary restrictions and asks if there is anything special she can have ready for her for breakfast! I was kind of blown away by that! So many great people in this world and apparently some of them work at this Best Western. Thank you!
THis property was upgraded and refurbished apparently by, new ownership and it shows. THe room was great, with refrig and micro, comfortable and clean. THere is a problem in the bathroom with paint peeling, but. Yes, they know, and are fixing the error by the subcontractor. Nice people, clean, great location to navigate around Columbus. I wish the breakfast was better though...
This was an overnight trip for business and most of the downtown hotels were booked for some convention. The airport BW was close, just 6 miles out from my business meeting. It's a decent hotel and worth the reasonable price. Things to be expected were the airplane takeoff noise, it is next to the airport. There were some restaurants and convenience stores very close, despite being in a mostly industrial area. The star was friendly and the room was nice. I am picky and the mattress and pillows didn't work well for me. The room was clean and well furnished. Worth the price.
This was the best stay at a hotel I have had in a long time!! Everyone was super nice. Breakfast staff was wonderful and very helpful. The Jacuzzi suite was great!! This will be my go to hotel when I come to Columbus.
Although this hotel seemed nice enough, children slammed doors and ran down the hall for hours while I was trying to sleep. Keeping car keys when you use the park and fly option is ridiculous, when I returned everyone's keys had been thrown in a box and the manager on duty gave us the box to find our own keys and it was a mess. Also several of us waited at the airport for the shuttle for over 45 minutes before they finally sent another, to me this is poor customer service. Our compensation for waiting for so long for the shuttle was “you don't have to tip me” I think with some changes in the way this BW hotel is run it could be a good place to stay as the employees were very friendly.
My family and I stayed here the night before we left for vacation and liked the hotel and staff so much we stayed another night when we returned, wonderful breakfast, very clean, friendly and welcoming staff, we decided to leave our car and try the sleep and fly which is where you leave your car at the hotel while you are away for free and they offer shuttle service to the airport, I was hesitant at first from never doing it but my worries were put right at ease by the caring words of staff and I'm happy to say It couldn't have been a better experience, I also want to take a moment to name some of the staff in-particular that made our stay amazing our shuttle driver Glenn, front Desk staff Nayeema, John, and Justin, and Breakfast staff member Crystal these people delighted my heart so much, it's a wonderful place and my family will continue to stay here every time we fly ??
I have nothing but great things to say about our stay here! Our shuttle driver Michael was hilarious, the lady at the front desk was extremely nice, and the room was huge and clean. I would stay here again in a heartbeat, friendliest staff I've ever encountered.
I booked this room on Priceline at a discounted rate as I was looking for somewhere in this area to stay overnight for work. The front desk staff were friendly and the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Pool area looked nice, but I was not really at hotel long enough to take advantage. I did use the fitness room that consisted of 2 fitness machines (from what I recall) so there is not much of a selection, however the room was kept very cold and plenty of water available. Breakfast was nice, but really didn't pay too much attention to all that was offered as I was in a bit of a hurry to get up and back to work. There are a couple of fast food options really close if you are looking for something to eat other than the free breakfast. The only problem that I had with the room was that there was water damage in the backroom on the walls, mainly above the shower. The paint was peeling and the drywall was bubbling. The hotel was not busy at this time, you think they would take advantage of unoccupied rooms to fix items like this. All in all, If I had to return to this area, I would probably not hesitate to stay again.
The staff was excellent from the cleaning personnel to the Manager. They have an excellent breakfast selection. Safe, clean, and quiet. Very close to attractions and the airport. Large selections of all types of restaurants nearby.
Hotel checks off all the boxes. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Got checked in early. Room was spacious clean and in working order thought could use some touch ups. Shuttle service for rock on the range was a great convenience they offered. Breakfast and parking could be improved.
Stayed here while in town for The Justin Timberlake Show at Nationwide Arena. It's a 10 minute, $12 Uber ride to the venue in the heart of Columbus. Room was great, comfortable beds and clean. Breakfast was far better than most free hotel breakfasts. An Employee named Crystal made our stay quite memorable. I believe she was part of the custodial crew but went out of her way to accomodate us during breakfast. I so enjoyed her conversation and smiles it was hard to say good bye. I go to Columbus a few times a year and will be going back to this hotel to visit w my friend, Crystal!
We love this hotel. It is extremely clean and the staff is friendly! The breakfast buffet is a nice bonus. What we really liked the best was the fact that it is close to downtown and very convenient if attending an event. The convention center was a simple 8 mile drive. We have recommended this location to many of our friends and family!
We stayed here for Ohio State graduation. Family came from out of town. We couldn't have been treated any better!! Very clean and close to freeway and airport. Rojer, Krystal, Connie, John to name just few were cheerful and helpful throughout our stay. Beth really has a great crew and is a reflection of her.
Our stay at this hotel could not have been better. The staff was exceptionally professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and comfortable. If we are ever back in this area we will definitely be staying at this hotel.
We were greeted by a very friendly staff and even though we were tired they made everything easy and painless. Breakfast every morning was always a variety and that made it interesting since I never know what I wanna eat. From the general manager to the maid service were friendly and always said hi, to me it's the small things that matter. Upon checking out that was also an easy process and I signed up to be a Best Western member. Some minor things like the plaster was peeling but overall y'all still get 5 stars.
Nice place to stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Downside, room somewhat noisy. Street traffic and sirens annoying. Airplane traffic pattern over motel. Room a/c system could be improved. Bed was comfortable.
Our experience at the Best Western Port Columbus was great. The staff and cleanliness make the place. We were in town for the Women's Final Four and chose the location to be away from all the hustle and bustle downtown. The Best Western is near the airport, yet only a 10 minute car ride to downtown. It was quiet, very clean, had a decent breakfast, and the staff were awesome.
My husband and I were coming in to town for a wedding so I looked online for a hotel near the reception venue and found pricing online. I decided to call the facility to see how they named the type of room I was looking for and had a wonderful experience speaking with Rajer Brown, in their reception. He told me to book online if that suited me, but to call back and he would assure that I did it correctly and that I would be receiving just the type of room that we wanted. I did book online and called back to confirm. He worked with me and helped me beyond measure. What a great employee. They should be happy to have him.
The Guest Manager Rajer Brown made my experience pleasant. He assured me of the distance of my business meeting to the hotel. He worked with me on booking the stay and worked with me getting a great rate. ????
Stayed here for one night, nice Hotel, Pool was nice, but could use a litte scrubbing around the edges some mold is showing,Room was nice and clean, bed comfy, breakfast could have had a few more choices, but was ok,Staff was friendly.
Excellent staff, fast friendly service . Shuttle service to the airport very prompt . Room extremely clean everything in order . Thanks much for a great experience. I will say at least property again .
I gave them only three stars for a couple reasons but I will preface this review by saying one item WAS quickly taken care of. The good: The room was clean. I'm sure that is the most important thing guests look for. The location was convenient, right off the expressway and close to the airport. The first problem I had was the plunger in the sink. It was stuck in the down position and when washing my hands the water would not drain. I reach underneath the sink and was able to manually move the connecting arm up and down but the plunger still did not move. I mentioned it to the front desk on my way out to dinner and they had the issue corrected before I returned. THANKS! The not so good: The heat did not work very well. I had to turn the thermostat all the way up to 74 and the warmest it registered on the wall unit was 67. The room never got any warmer than that. (Granted it was pretty cold outside that night but the unit did not seem to be working correctly. The bad: The coffee pot in the room did not work. Yes it was plugged in. I added the water and it just wouldn't turn on. Since it didn't work I dumped the water into the seat and saw that maybe it was better that it did NOT work. Several pieces of "black stuff" poured out into the sink. Not sure if it was dust bunnies, mold or anything else but I was glad I didn't drink it. I did wander down to the breakfast area to grab a cup of coffee and brought it back to the room. Lesson learned - DON'T drink from room coffee pots anymore. Never know how long they might just sit there.
I spent the night here after moving my daughter to Columbus before flying back home. The hotel is fairly new and more upscale than typical Best Westerns. The staff was friendly. I deliberately left a couple of shirts because I had to use a carry on and was flat out of room. I should have left a note telling them to donate them. Someone called not long after checking out to tell me I'd left them. I did have a problem. It wasn't awful, but was kind of irritating. I was in room 115. Shortly after arriving, I heard a big clunk, then a big bang that sounded like it came from above. Then, it happened again. And again. First I figured kids were in the room above, but they must be awfully big kids, I thought. After it happened a few more times, I decided it must be a weight room. I went up and discovered it was a regular room. What could they be doing up there? I woke up a couple of times during the night and, again -- clunk, then bang. I was up by six a.m. and it happened shortly after awakening. I happened to be glancing out the window at that time and there it was. The room is next to the door leading to the rear parking lot. The clunk was luggage hitting against the door, then the door banged shut. That happened every time somebody walked out of the rear of the hotel with a bag. Without a bag, it just banged. They need to figure out how to have it close without a bang and maybe pad it to subdue the luggage clunk. Anyway, if you get 115, you might want to ask for another room if noise bothers you. Other than that, the hotel was great. Breakfast was typical hotel hot breakfast, which means it was good. I used WiFi to watch a movie on Netflix with no buffering. The shuttle to the airport left on my schedule. Recommended.
I was going to book this room through a major search engine but I had questions. My wife an dc I were headed west and l needed to leave our car and l needed to know if tbe Best Western allowed this so i called them, the young lady was so helpful and accommodating l booked through her which included parking and a shuttle to the airport. When we arrived at the hotel we were upgraded to a King Jacuzzi room. The room was very nice, my only comment is the Jacuzzi was so large that it would take more than an hour to fill l mean it was gigantic. We arrived late and had to get up way to early so no Jacuzzi for us. The front desk gentleman was great at check-in amd at 4 am the front desk man and shuttle lady were great as well. We will definitely be back.
this stay could not have been any better the room was clean and bright the pool was great as was breakfast we will definitely come back again ! the location was easy to get to also, convieniant to the interstate
Enjoyed the stay, always a relief to realize that your choice of stay wasn't a blowout or disappointment . Pet fee affordable! Staff was great, beds clean, bathrooms clean! Pool liner maybe time for fixing. Breakfast was a slight disappointment. Milk and juice not up to par but that's not too important. We will be back if ever in the area:) enjoying the Best Western Plus's!
The gentleman who checked me in was absolutely wonderful. I'm an assistant manager at Best Western Plus Whitewater Inn and I must say I would be proud if he was one of my employees. Also, the ladies at checkout as always are delightful. They make sure that you had a great stay and are always so personable. All of the staff looked very professional! Great staff!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beth made it seem like visiting with an old friend. The rooms were clean. The pool was closed for maintenance. If we had planned to swim, would have been disappointed since we didn't know prior to check-in. Overall everything was excellent and I would recommend it.
The hotel itself was fine. The problem we had was with the shuttle service back to the hotel. We were told that as long as we were in the airport before midnight we could call and be taken back to the hotel to pick up our car. Our flight was delayed but we arrived at the airport at 11:40 pm. My husband tried to call the hotel several times but there was no answer. He left myself and the kids to get a taxi to go get our car. Upon arrival at the hotel, he found the shuttle driver and front desk person chatting and drinking coffee. He asked why there was no answer and was told it was after 12 but it was not. He showed them the calls on his phone and asked to be reimbursed for the taxi ride but was told that was not possible. I feel that it the shuttle should run until the hours we were told otherwise we might have parked at the airport instead. I just did not like the attitude of the front desk.
All the staff at the Hotel was friendly and courteous But one staff member Rajer Brown stood out the most to me. Extremely Friendly and courteous and willing to help in any way he could. He should be viewed as an asset to Best Western
Fire alarms (false) going off all night and extreme noise. Apparently there was some family reunion taking place and the kids and adults wreaked havoc over the entire hotel. Hotel staff did nothing to control. Hotel staff allowed the false fire alarms to go on multiple times all night, not allowing us to get any sleep.
Beautiful hotel, comfortable rooms and overall most amazing staff. I always stay here . Convenient location , close to highways. I love it here . I recommend the jacuzzi rooms, they are very relaxing.
The staff here is so wonderfully friendly and helpful. Every inch of the hotel is spotlessly clean. Our dog is always welcome, and the pet rooms are located near the exit, which is super convenient. The complimentary breakfast is really good...so many tasty choices! The dining area is warm and inviting, and kept so CLEAN. We stop here when we drive from Illinois to New York, twice a year. It truly is like staying with a friend.
We stop at this Best Western because it is such a great place to stay. This was our 5 stay at this hotel. The staff is great. The location is not the most scenic but it is easy on easy off the freeway.
Because of our itinerary, we needed an affordable hotel near John Glenn Airport, Columbus, Ohio and because of other needs we sought a hotel with a hearty buffet breakfast. Best Western Hotel at Port Columbus met each of our criterion and then the staff made the stay perfect!
This was by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed out. From the time I checked in until we left we felt comfortable and at home. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The next time I need a hotel in the Columbus area this will be my first choice!
****DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL**** They will lie and say u smoked in ur room and will go as far to plant the evidence and say u smoked so they can charge ur CREDIT CARD AN EXTRA $250!!!!! This has happened on more than one occasion It seems to b a trend in Hotel scams so they can get more money!!! Even if u drop a cigarette but from ur pocket or purse and they find it they will say they smelled smoke!! THEY ARE LIARS!! *** DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!***** DO NOT STAY HERE*****
The front staff were very nice. Let us check in a little early since a room was ready. Put us close to elevator when I said husband had trouble with stairs - the elevator had been closed due to maintenance the day before and I asked if it was working. Room was clean. The pool looked nice though I did not use it. Had a nice exercise room. Breakfast was not too bad - eggs, waffles, ham, potatoes... Just be a little cautious of the back entrance. We came back from our visit and a car load of people were taking off, looking at us kind of weird. When we got to the back door, there was a piece of cardboard or something between the lock and door so they could get in without a key. We removed it and told the front person. Made me a little uneasy, but nothing happened. The front person thanked me and was very nice. They need to check it periodically. Otherwise, everything was fine and we had a good time and a good night's sleep. Would definitely stay there again.
They treated me like I was a king. Very, very friendly. When Best Western found out I was a gold member, they told me, how bless they were that we decided to stay with them. The room was perfect, they also asked me if I wanted the first floor or third. They also had healthy treats for our consumption. The gym room was clean. The staff were egger to ask how my day is going. Always asking if there is something else we needed. My wife was impressed as well. The next time we come to Columbus Ohio we will be saying at the BW col Airport
This is my "go to" hotel when I go to Columbus for business near the airport. Rooms are very comfortable with good internet service. Staff know what service is. Easy 10 minute drive to Easton to experience great restaurants, and huge shopping area and entertainment.
We stayed here based solely on the fact that when I called the hotel before I booked, the lady that answered said their complimentary airport first shuttle to airport leaves at 4:00 a.m. (I had a 5:45 a.m. flight). When we checked in hotel, the front desk said "4:30 a.m." !!! Needless to say, we got very nervous as it was cutting it close to our flight; but we had already prepaid. It's only a 5 minute trip to CMH airport but was heart pounding mad dash. Eventually made our flight 2 minutes before plane door shut. Long line/busy at TSA. (Other than that, I would have given this hotel 5 pts.) Had I known about their 4:30 a.m. shuttle, I would have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn where they have "on-demand" shuttle service to airport even at wee hours. Suggestion to hotel: perhaps, you need to disclose airport shuttle hours on your website... it helps. Other than that, this is a very nice clean hotel with hospitable front desk staff (especially the evening shift guys). Very good full breakfast. I love that its served early from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. (based on those hours, we will definitely stay here again)! There is variety and the menu changes from bacon to sausages to something else everyday so if you are stuck here for a week, you wouldn't be eating the same thing everyday. There is also grab & go for those early flights. I highly recommend this hotel for travelers. Our comfortable well-lit bedroom had a microwave, small fridge, & coffee maker too. Lots of lamps and plugs/outlets for charging. The bathroom door (its a huge door) is somewhat annoying because it practically sweeps through the entire bathroom space. I love that they provide you a normal bar of soap (not those teeny tiny ones that melt after one use)! The vanity is separate from the shower/toilet. The linens, towels, beddings are all white clean. Had glitches with cable/direct tv during thunderstorm. Definitely will keep this hotel in mind next time in Columbus!
I had a great experience while staying for a work function. I got in a little late, hotel was quite comfy and clean room. Staff was very polite. The breakfast provided was also not bad. I would definitely stay again.
Had a four night stay with five friends. excellent staff. Chrystal was breakfast "hostess with the mostest". We felt welcomed like family. Saturday night when lobby was crowded with guest they opened a conference room so we could gather in quiet. quickly supplied me with forgottton toothpaste. Thanks for making it memorable long weekend for us.
Out of town family members were pleased with the rooms and hotel accommodations. Big shout out to the crew members that didn't hesitate to assist us with our needs. What was even more amazing and challenging was that the staff crew was able to handle two separate family reunions going on at same time that whole weekend. Hotel manager Beth Sweet is the best! Rajer Braden Ronell Karen Verna Gleen ( I may have misspell the name ) and everyone else who I may have overlooked to mention!
Overnight stay for early flight. We use this property because of their location to the airport, shuttle service and "park-n-fly services". They have recently remodeled the property and it is a very comfortable place to stay..
Do Not Stay Here!!!! Stayed here the weekend of 10-13-17, Room was not clean when we arrived , John the night front desk employee was very rude and not helpful at all. Hotel was noisy all night long, the guest next to us had very loud music on all night long, called front desk about noise , he told me he would take care of the issue but never did, music didn't stop until about 5 am, Swimming pool was dirty. Won't stay here again, don't recommend anyone to stay here!
first time traveling in a long time, this was a pleasant experience and I enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. staff was very friendly too. I received a room upgrade and appreciated having the jacquzzi tub.
I was very pleased with my room. The hot tub was amazing!!! The room was clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Breakfast looked ok, not a lot to chose from. My overall experience was great!
We stayed there for a couple days, overall we are happy to stay there again if the pool is clean... Pros: - Nice & helpful staffs - Hot & Cold breakfast - Free Shuttle to Easton & Airport Cons: - Pool was closed for the first day due to some issue... Then we tried to swim the next day, it was open but the pool was very dirty. As we saw only 1 or 2 of the returning jets are working...we are very disappointed. We want to swim it is one of the main reason we pick the hotels. - We found hair in between of the blanket & blanket sheet... - Booking said Free area shuttle within 5.00 miles which is not correct won't go downtown...so pretty much is Easton & Airport only - We called a shuttle and said coming...but then waited almost an hour...
Although not in downtown Columbus, this hotel was affordable, clean and had easy access to the highway to get to and from downtown. It provided free parking and breakfast. Pumpkin spice waffles were delish!
This was a great place all I seen was MacDonald's and Wendy's in the area when we asked of other places I found out they have a shuttle service how great it was. The room was great slept like a baby. I had a early flight the hotel has shuttle service that got us to the airport on time. they had to go bags for those that wanted them. Coffee and other things were available even at 4AM.
Great location and freeway access near international airport, business and tourist areas. Good value and 24 hour friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast, free parking/shuttle, cable, internet, indoor pool and gym.
My sister and I were in Columbus for a wedding when Hurricane Irma hit our home state of Florida. The airlines delayed our trip back home. We wanted to return our car to save on expenses. That meant we wanted to be close to the airport, restaurants and if possible, a courtesy van. We just happened to find this Best Western that met all of our needs. But we didn't expect to be treated so well! Elizabeth Sweet, the general manager runs a very clean, well maintained property. She also has the talent to hire the best staff! Front Desk manager Connie Brigman and Guest services Manager Rajer Brown were awesome. The van drivers were great. The first driver was Michael and he was a hoot. He kept us laughing. The last driver to the airport was Karen. She was small but mighty. She lifted our heavy luggage like it was nothing. We had several drivers between Michael and Karen. I can't remember all their names. But they were always ready, willing and very accommodating. Ms Crystal G made sure the dining area was spotless and the breakfast items were hot and plentiful. We loved her infectious laugh! We were at this hotel from 9/11/17 to 9//17/17. We were treated like family the entire time. Can't say enough good words about this establishment. Priceless!
My visit to Columbus was for a relatives wedding. Family and friends stayed at the port Columbus Best Western at a reasonable group rate. The location is great close to the airport, restaurants and stores. The hotel is safe, clean and the staff was absolutely fantastic! Breakfast was good with a decent variety of hot and cold healthy choices. Ms. Crystal, Crystal, John, and Ms. Karen and Anna were fabulous and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend and stay again.
My family stayed during a time when we were displaced for a day. The General Manager went out of her way to make sure we were able to check in early- which we truly appreciated. Staff was was friendly and helpful. However, the housekeeping staff was loud in the morning yelling to one another down the hallway. The pool was nice, but the hot tub was out of service. The room was clean and smelled good. A few spots in the bathroom were chipping paint and the toilet was leaking, which I reported. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Overall we felt like it was a good value and would stay again.
This property is the type of hotel you look for when traveling. Staff are friendly and look to help in every way. I wish I could mention each and every staff member individually to say thank you. I stayed here in July 2017 and when I returned to the area in August again stayed here. I was welcomed back in August and having had a bad experience at another hotel (due to location of event I was booked at another place) my return to this property ensured future visits to Columbus my hotel would be here. Much better to drive an extra few miles when you 100% peace of mind in your hotel.
Great place, but had to wade through a cloud of smoke since the hotel placed the smoking ashtray immediately outside the front entrance. The staff was very apologetic since it sometimes gets sucked into the lobby itself. I understand this is a Best Western policy, not a local one.
Satisfied customer, stayed for one night, the room was clean. they had a nice breakfast set up in the morning. The woman who was setting up the breakfast buffet was very friendly and helpful. Thank you very much.
I Had to make a unscheduled overnight and this was the best location to where I had to go the next day. I have stayed in Best Western's and have excellent experience for this Hotel chain. I would recommend this location and value.
This is a very clean, well-kept property very near the airport. It is very quiet away from freeways and aircraft noise. The rooms we occupied were clean, comfortable, and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice with good selection of hot and cold items. We would return here again.
Beginning with check-in our stay was wonderful! Rajer at the front desk was professional and very helpful. Our room was clean, as was the breakfast area. The food and coffee was very good! Didn't have time to use the pool. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Stayed here for 3 nights - very nice hotel! Rooms were clean, staff was very friendly! Manager, Beth, even took a pkg that couldnt fit on the plane, down to Fed Ex to be mailed!! Surrounding area was quiet. Food nearby. No complaints AT ALL!!!
Booked last minute at great rate for overnight stay, All Easton hotels unavailable so needed another option to be close by for business meeting.. Worked out better than expected. Beside the value compared to Easton, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. And having stayed by Columbus airport on previous trips I was pleasantly surprised with how quiet it was. Friendly staff - not only will I return but definitely recommend for families or business travelers.
Attractive exterior, excellent layout and great room decor. Caring staff complete the package. Very comfortable beds; Attractive exterior, excellent layout great location near Columbus ariport. perfect place to stay.
Always welcoming, always acknowledged. Quiiet and clean. Very easy access to freeways and just outside the John Glenn Airport and car rentals. Places to eat close by and minutes to everything and anything. Rooms are open and spacious and easy access to internet ports, base of lamp, secure feeling with double locks. Prices are well within what this class of hotel offers.
I had a great overall experience with the hotel. The staff was courteous, the hotel was clean, and I really liked my room. The bed was comfortable and the whirlpool was very relaxing. I don't have any complaints and will definitely go back.
General: I stayed 4 nights in a room on the ground floor. Even though it was little cared near some of the housekeeping facilities there was very little if any outside noise. Although the hotel is in a direct fly over zone from the airport, I never heard an aircraft. The room looked just like the promo photos. Amenities etc: All appliances were functioning and clean. I used the microwave, coffee maker and fridge which was a welcome edition. The fridge was actually cold which was a welcome surprise. The tv also worked with access to plenty of channels. There is a tiny fitness area and indoor pool which I didn't use. For such a budget friendly hotel I was quite surprised by all of the offerings. Breakfast: Standard American breakfast with lots of options including eggs, bacon or sausage and potatoes. Pastries, cereal, fruit and other breakfast items were also available. The ability to make my own fresh waffles was a delight. I don't think the hotel was crowded during my stay but the breakfast items were plentiful and well stocked. Facilities/Other: Pleasantly surprised by nice and clean computers available for use and good wifi throughout. The main lobby was spacious, always clean and pleasant. Near by there are plenty of options for food within walking distance, including a convenience store. The Staff: AMAZING! In a nutshell, what makes this hotel a standout is the staff. From the shuttle drivers to the front desk to the housekeeping staff, I was blown away by not only the consistency of care they provided their guests but just downright friendliness. I've travelled domestically and internationally for most of my life and it is few and far between that I'm surprised by fantastic service. The management staff should be proud of their team and I do hope that they are rewarded and incentivized to continue to perform at these levels. I've stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels where the service pales in comparison to what I experienced during my stay at the Best Western Port Columbus. Small things: The room wasn't perfect, a bit dusty and obvious signs of repair were visible. My sink and tub were also slow draining. Also wished I could have opened the window for fresh air but I call it human error and I couldn't figure it out. A few spots/stains here and there BUT these things were very very small and frankly not disruptive enough to warrant a complaint. I've stayed in pricey hotels that had the same small issues. Summary: Great hotel for short stay, road trip travelers, families, business and frugal travelers. If I return to Columbus, I'd choose to stay again!
This hotel had a great bed. Our room was nice and clean. However the pool had mildew around edge. We especially liked the breakfast. My kids liked that they even had whip cream and mini chocolate chips for the waffles! The breakfast attendant was very helpful.
Front desk staff were very professional and nice. Location was very convenient to the airport. Room was clean and everything was working. Used the swimming pool and thought the water felt like it had a film on it. Thought they could of kept it a little cleaner pool water. Overall I did think this was a good value for the price.
My wife and I used to stay at this hotel regularly when traveling through Columbus during our summer vacation. A few years ago, there was a physical altercation among some guests that management ignored until another guest called the police. The management at that time failed to handle the situation, failed to explain to guests what happened, and never responded to my complaints. I swore I would never stay there again. However, under pressure from my wife who like the proximity to friends in town, I relented and booked a room. When we arrived, I immediately notice a change. The two gentlemen at the desk were very professionally dressed in jackets and ties. They greeted us and immediately checked us in. The check-in procedure included a requirement to read the hotel's policy on partying in rooms, noise, drinking and other activities that might be detrimental to other guests. Our room was on the first floor as we requested. The room was clean and fresh with two double beds. It had all the usual amenities such as flat screen television, coffee maker, microwave oven, refrigerator, iron, ironing board, arm chair, desk, alarm clock, etc. The air conditioning system was very efficient and the free in-room Wi-Fi worked well. We left early the following morning before breakfast but there was complimentary coffee available in the lobby 24 hours a day. We did not take advantage of that or the other amenities the hotel offered such as the business center or pool. The room service was a new experience for us. Grandma's Pizza and Pasta, a third-party company, offered menu items and a delivery service to the motel. We ordered the turkey club sandwich, crispy chicken sandwich, onion rings, and soft drinks. There was a severe thunderstorm with local flooding so the food was a bit late arriving. However, William, our delivery man, arrive with the food still hot. A charming hotel gesture checkout feature was a “Grab and Go” bag that contained fruit, bottled water, and a snack. Morning checkout was very efficient. I was so pleased with the changes and the staff, we booked a room on our return trip through the city a week later. That was also a very pleasant stay. Best Western is back in our good graces and we will book rooms there again next year.
Greatplace to stay. Nice pool, great variety for break fast. Internet and computer to use. Little store behind front desk. The cleaning staff were so friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff are great if you have allergies
Both of the beds in my room had 4 small throw pillows instead of real pillows. Did Ohio have a shortage of pillows? I dont get it you have one job as a hotel that is to provide a bed The hotel staff was friendly and very nice. The hotel needs some work, but if you need a cheap one night stay this place will do.
We stayed here for a baseball tournament. Our room smelled like stale smoke even though it was a non smoking room. The pool looked green and the rooms felt unclean. The breakfast was not good. Neither our safe or the remote worked.
The staff was not very friendly or helpful. The hallway was dark and smells like curry. Room was ok but the mattress was too soft that it hurts my back. The breakfast was average. It is not in a safe neighborhood I guess because there were people begging for money in the gas station right in front of the hotel.
While on tour with the band Larger Than Life, we had a stop in Columbus for a date in Easton. The promoter had booked us in a rather unsavory place. I immediately looked up this hotel and booked it on the spot. Was VERY happy I did. The place is clean, the pools is fun and most importantly the workers (front desk and manager) are very accommodating. The free breakfast could have been replenished a little bit better but it was still good to have.
Excellent location, price, breakfast. Slept like a baby! Best rest ever! I was exhausted upon arrival, had been turned away from other hotels in that area. Beds were clean and comfortable. The price was considerably lower than others in the area, while the room was more comfortable. I was amazed at the other accommodations, such as a microwave and a refrigerator. Clean linens and the staff was very nice! The night attendant was unable to locate me in the computer, but the morning clerk more than made up for his ineptness!
This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is very friendly and professional. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the breakfast is awesome. The staff even bused my table while I was finishing breakfast. Great place to stay.
We stayed for four days and were struck by how friendly everyone on the staff was. The hotel was clean and reasonably priced. I inadvertently left my jewelry bag and they called my cell phone as soon as they found it. We were able to return and get it before leaving town. Great experience.
I always choose this hotel to stay in when I'm in Columbus. The staff are great and the rooms are clean. I had a different experience this time. I was having to decide if I would stay in Columbus or return home. The staff particularly Reggie the shuttle driver went above and beyond his duties and listened with a caring ear. I am grateful that we have such kind strangers in this world. Many thanks Best Western for having such great employees.
Nice, friendly staff. Close to the airport and downtown. The rooms were smaller than expected but clean and housekeeping staff was helpful with anything we needed. Not much within walking distance just Wendy's.
Arrived after midnight after arriving on a late night flight. Quick check-in, nice rooms, comfortable beds. Close to restaurants. Less than 5 minutes from the airport. Complimentary breakfast in the morning was very good. Would definitely stay here again
This is our second stay here and when in Columbus it will be the only place we stay.Great staff always friendly and helpful, clean comfortable rooms and good breakfast. Our rooms were nice and cold since it was 90 degrees out that was a big plus.
This was perfect for an overnight stay in Columbus. Very comfortable and reasonably priced. Did not use the pool or fitness center due to our short stay, but they are nice amenities. Location was good. The employees were very pleasant and accommodating.
We stayed here just one night as we had to catch an early plane out, it was very clean and comfortable, staff was friendly, we did not use any of the food service or amenities. Within walking distance to several food businesses. We stayed on the first floor and it was very quiet, no problem with overhead planes. Great shuttle service that helped us with the return of our rental car and transportation to the airport in the early morning hours.
The lobby was very hot. Maybe trying to save on air conditioning. The room was nice but the other guest were partying and loud in the hall way. They cleared out soon after telling the front desk. Easy check out and 5 minutes from the airport.
This hotel is a great value for the money. Nice Breakfast options. Rooms are a bit small but very nice and clean decor. Every single staff member asked if we needed anything and was always smiling and kind. From the front desk, to the housekeeping to maintenance. We were there with 10 baseball players and their families. The hotel staff went out of their way to put us all together and to make sure we had everything we needed.
We like this little hotel. The staff is great, the rooms are clean, they provide parking for a reasonable amount, and great shuttle service to the airport. We had a reservation sanfu that nobody can seem to solve, though. I've called numerous people so I am done with that. If someone reaches out to me to solve the problem, great. If not, I won't be using Best Western again anywhere. I'm sure there are other Columbus hotels in the area that would like our business.
No air conditioning in the common areas of the hotel. Slow internet and my room need a deep cleaning. There was old food in the refrigerator and under the beds was dirty. However staff was super friendly and welcoming. I think after a good cleaning and some repairs this has the potential to be a good hotel and a great value.
Reservations were quick and easy with the mobile app. Upon arrival I was immediately recognized and thanked for being a Diamond club member, offered my choice if drink and snacks or points towards rewards. Staff was dressed professionally and acted accordingly. Speedy check-in, information about what was happening in the town entertainment wise that evening as well as a recommendation for a great restaurant for dinner and the experience was complete. Highly recommend staying here anytime you're in the area if you enjoy professional service by quality individuals.
Wonderful guest service. Excellent rooms. Very good location. Great if you have pets. Everything is clean. Ice machines are convenient. Snacks available at the front desk. My requests were met. Excellent layout in rooms.
Excellent is how I describe the best western hotel at the Columbus, Ohio airport! All staff were hospitable and the new renovations in the lobby and rooms were superb! I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone! The manager also was so lovely and gracious!
This is a nice place i have been here almost a month . Very nice people. Legacci at the front desk is very nice and respectful. The whole place is clean. Housekeeping does a wonderful job. The rooms are nice. Its a quiet place to stay.
All good room and breakfast, but pool had what appeared to be mold on sides and hot tub is out of commission. Room was good, TV channel selection good. Every encounter with staff was friendly and you could tell they had pride in the interaction and what they are doing.
Hotel was clean, well-managed, and convenient to Columbus Airport. We had one of the best staff experiences I've had at BW or any other hotel and felt as if we'd been cared for very well. Breakfast was good (BW is upgrading their breakfast experience in their basic hotel line) and the overall hotel value was very good. We had an issue with the thermostat in our initial room and were immediately (and without even asking) moved to a new room.
This hotel provided everything we could want in a hotel: a warm, caring, efficient staff, excellent rooms, a fine breakfast, and very clean. My friends and I will make this our first choice when we return next year.
I cannot say enough nice things about this best Western near Columbus airport. The staff was so nice the room was spotlessly clean, the price was very reasonable, The pool area was clean and the breakfast was delicious what more could you ask for? I will definitely be staying at this best western again when I fly out of Columbus Ohio
Crystal - the person in charge of the breakfast room - was exceptional! Her welcoming attitude was a delight and made our stay a five star experience. Her helpfulness in making sure we had everything we needed or wanted was what sets this breakfast experience and hotel apart. She made our day and is reason enough to return on our next trip to Columbus.
Front desk night shift went beyond with helping us get settled in. Super nice with my pet dog. Nice clean rooms , good food , easy to other stores. Great rates for rooms. Secure parking and great looking grounds.
We were greeted warmly upon arriving and surprised by a jacuzzi in our room that we didn't expect! I guess we got upgraded without knowing. Such a nice surprise. Everyone we encountered was extremely helpful and nice to us. They called us a cab back to the airport and talked about our trip to make sure everything went ok. Definitely the best I have ever been treated at a hotel.
The place looks virtually brand-new, it was either just built for freshly remodel. The rooms are very clean. The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The stay includes breakfast. It has a free shuttle to the airport, which is also very close.
nice place to stay. all was very clean. Room was promptly cleaned in the morning while I was out so I had the afternoon to rest with no disturbances. I was not there long enough to use the pool but it appeared inviting.
Great hotel & staff. Shuttle & breakfast were great options to utilize. Beds were very comfortable, housekeeping staff very good. Neighborhood a little sketchy...no problems though. If in area again will stay again.
Check in crew was a little short with us concerning where to go to eat and not very knowledgeable. Check out crew was so much better, very nice and helpful. Rooms were clean ut the beds aren't Marriott or Hilton quality, but clean!
We recently stayed at this hotel while in Columbus visiting friends. This hotel is close to the airport, and there was no problem finding a parking spot in their lot. The room was nicely sized, it was clean, and it was nicely appointed with amenities, all of which were in good working order. (To our surprise, the room even had a hot tub.) The staff was friendly and efficient! The free breakfast was good and included the standard BW hot and cold fare. Only small issue that we had was that they were changing out chairs in all of the rooms on the morning of our departure. Was a little difficult getting our luggage out of the hotel, but the workers and staff were courteous and helpful. We would stay there again if in the area!
This was a very nice comfortable room. I has just been re done and was in very good condition. Nice roomy shower and bathroom. Beautiful marble sink/vanity. the bed was very comfortable. AC was in the window and loud but not as loud as the planes. Breakfast was delicious with hot items as well as yogart cereal and Danish. Real good coffee too. Front desk folks very helpful at all times. I would definitely stay again.
This was our first weekend stay at this hotel. In the past we had stayed at three other hotels in the area. We liked the exterior and the amenities offered, so we decided to try it. Check-in was easy and the front desk person was helpful and friendly. The room was adequate and comfortable. They have free internet, a fitness center, and a pool. The breakfast was adequate, but nothing special. The real problem with our stay was that we left the room at 10:30 am to go to a football game and returned to a room that had not been touched by housekeeping. That is totally unacceptable to me. I had to go to the front desk at 10 pm to get clean towels. They gave me 1/3 off the cost of that night, but cleanliness is more important to me.
I typically chose this hotel when I come to Columbus. It is convenient in regards to the city, but it is a high-way drive away. It's nice when DT Columbus is crowded due to OSU games and such. The pool area is really nice and the rooms are fairly decent. I would recommend this hotel for a night or two.
The hotel was super clean and the staff were very friendly. Our room was extremely small, as well as the bathroom. We tried breakfast on the first day but didn't bother with it the second day. They eggs were rubbery and the tator tots were very chewy. It was close to a couple of fast food restaurants and gas stations. It was very central to where we needed to be.
Excellent experience, traveling with Siberian Husky, and the staff made every effort to accommodate us. This was one of the few quality hotels available to travelers to Columbus which would accept dogs, and we were quite happy to chance upon the Best Western in Port Columbus. We were given a large room with a party-size spa at standard online reservation price.
Stayed at CMH Port Columbus hotel. The hotel was located close to the airport and also had airport shuttle. The bed was comfortable. I would recommend this hotel as a hotel to be considered if you need it close to the airport.
This was a great BW. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly from the front desk to the maids. The breakfast was very good and very nice area to enjoy breakfast. Very nice pool area and fitness center.
I called for a shuttle and 20 minutes later I called back, apologies were given and they sent cab for me that they paid for. Same for the return trip to the airport. This was above and beyond service that I expected. Front desk associates Rajer and Sabrina were so helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and so was the room. Breakfast was included and very good. All staff was friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
This Hotel has VERY PLEASANT STAFF (Brittany and others that I don't recall names) everyone was pleasant in greeting you when they saw you. Breakfast was good, pool was nice. Very happy to see the new carpeting throughout property since our last visit including the stairwell that looks freshly done. Looking forward to see the continued renovations on our next visit. Thank you everyone for your kindness keep up the good work ??
Very friendly staff, clean room and a nice breakfast. The hotel room was spacious and the room comfortable . The breakfast was nice, I had a cheese omelette. They also offered grab and go bags. Hotel also has a small selection of snacks for room available for purchase.
I have over 4700 people who follow me and let me tell you I mean every word in my reviews. This is a hotel that offered friendly service from moment of checkin to check out. Ok, so I got it on Hotwire for about $30 less than actual. You here some horror stories about best western. I walked in around 9pm and was greeted by the front desk girl with a big smile and an ill be right with you. Room was a little dated but no remote for tv, no problem she came a brought me one right away with a smile. Breakfast in morning was good and Beth the manager was so kind and personable and just a nice experience. I come to Columbus 3 times a year with my boss, I have to stay elsewhere with him; but when I come myself, will absolutely be back. Hotel is doing some construction and there's a really big sign as you walk in. If you book thru 3rd party don't blame hotel and write review based on that. The 800 reservation center should however tell you; great stay, thanks Beth and your team.
Room was a good size (2 queen beds) with sink in the main room; separate bathroom. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, and had no problems. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of options. I used the swimming pool (larger than I'd expect for this kind of hotel) and the hot tub - very nice pool area. They are in the middle of renovations which will help freshen it up a bit for sure. Staff were very friendly and helpful when I arrived - although I had some challenges in my booking directly with them. Location is only 5 minutes from airport, and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Room was really small. Front desk was nice. Shuttle driver to airport nice. Beds need new mattresses. Bathroom was really small with a wobbly toilet seat. No clock in the room. Had a grab and go breakfast that was OK. Stayed here because of the park and fly.
Though there was some remodeling/upgrades going on it did not impact our overnight stay at all. The room was fresh, though not as clean as I would like . The staff was very helpful with arranging shuttles to return rental car and then again in the early morning to the airport. The room had a good bed and plenty of space.
Not a bad place to stay for the night. Definitely pre-arrange a shuttle, I didn't realize that was an option and the cab fare from the airport was a little ridiculous. Rooms are a little outdated, but clean. They were doing construction that made the day a little miserable in the room while I was trying to nap before a flight, but that's not their fault.
There are a bunch of really bad reviews for this place but it's really fine. The room was fine, small, but nothing unusual. Yes, the pool is right off the lobby but so what? People walk in and out, no one cares if you are in there with your family. Yes, I saw a group of rough looking characters, but you're not sharing your room with them. For the $, this place was fine. FREE shuttle to the airport!!!!
Stayed a long weekend at this BW property based on the generally favorable TA reviews and for its proximity to the airport (2 miles). I had an early flight out and was at the airport in a jiff. The hotel and the grounds are neatly kept and presentable. My room was a double with a small microwave, a small fridge for snacks, and a flat screen TV with the usual cable channels. The AC wasn't overly loud nor was the fridge. Wi-fi was slow at times but overall okay. Though my room was near the elevator it was pretty quiet my whole stay. The complimentary breakfast was fine – not what you could call deluxe but more than adequate to prepare a person for a day of work or play: scrambled and boiled eggs, sausage, toast, pastries, fruit, juices, and waffles. The coffee was just okay. The breakfast area could be somewhat bigger in my opinion but at least the volume on the TV was low enough that I could ignore the inevitable morning litany of murders, crimes, and scandal which other hotels seem so intent on forcing on their breakfast guests. From what I could tell, the other guests that weekend varied from families with children, those attending the Ohio State Fair, and business travelers. The last time I was in Columbus, I stayed at a different hotel (i.e by the Dublin Irish Festival) and the management handed out a notice warning against late night revelry – here at the BWPCA, no fears about late night or revelry. You have to have a car because there isn't really much nearby and certainly nothing you might call nightlife unless you consider Speedway, McDonald's, Wendy's, or Waffle House night life. The property is right next to the I-670 on ramp so downtown is a straight shot of 10-15 minutes drive. My bottom line for TA travelers is the BWPCA offers comfortable, decent value lodging near the airport.
I just wanted to say how incredibly delightful my stay was at your hotel. I had an insane work week and when I arrived, the front desk staff was nothing but sweet and accommodating. I specifically remember Brittany made my stay go smoothly and she was very polite. When I got up to my room, I was pleasantly surprised to see a giant whirlpool jacuzzi bathtub in the corner of my room. I can't tell you how excited I was. This is exactly what I needed after a stressful week. It was such a kind gesture and I couldn't have asked for a better stay. The breakfast in the morning was top notch as well. I really appreciated the upgraded room and I can assure you I will be staying at your hotel every time I visit Columbus. Thank you again to you and your staff for making my stay an amazing one.
Room very clean with comfortable bed and new clean remote* for TV. Free hot breakfast, just didn't like the boiled eggs. Everything else was great. Affordable, excellent pricing especially for an airport hotel!
Spent the night while attending the Ohio State Fair and had a very good stay. Staff were very friendly. We actually left an item in the room and called back to see if we could get it back. Thanks to Clark and Connie we received it in the mail within 2 days. So I feel they went above and beyond and I thank them very much for that. Would return to this hotel if back in the area. Thank you again for your great service.
Three families stayed here before flying out the next day. Used the Park and Fly package. The staff were very helpful and the hotel is located only 5 - 10 minutes from the airport (depending on traffic). Found it to be clean, the bed was comfortable. Did find the pillows to be lumpy. The indoor pool was nice. Close to fast food eating facilities. Shuttle was on time and driver was courteous. Did not hear any planes. Made reservations here for my next trip in September
The staff here are top-notch, and so are the accommodations. Convenient location. Staff are pleasant and helpful. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. This has become my preferred hotel when in this area; I highly recommend this hotel!
On our second night - four cars parked in the hotel parking lot got broken in. Including ours. Window smashed, some small items stolen. Lots of headache. The hotel staff was very helpful with calling the police and cleaning up the mess in the car, but we will not be coming back to this hotel for sure. Obviously there is very little effort put into keeping the parking lot safe, if nobody from the staff notices that the cars are being broken into...
We asked for a quiet room and they provided a room on the 3rd floor and although the hotel was full, the guests around us where quiet too. The room is a little small, but we weren't there to just stay in the room. They had ice water, fresh fruit and coffee always available in the lobby. Great experience. Will definitely recommend and stay again.
This hotel is about 5-10 mins. from the airport, depending on traffic. Room was clean and spacious, and met our needs. We didn't use the pool, but it looked well-maintained...you can see it from the check-in desk in the lobby. Our flight was early and they offered a wake-up call if needed. Breakfast buffet was your basic choices and they had a pre-bagged grab and go if you wanted that instead. Not too fond of the coffee, but that's just me b/c I am admittedly a coffee snob. They offer long-term parking here that can be added on to your room. If you book directly with them, you can ask when you reserve it. If you book through a 3rd party site, like we did, you will have to ask when you arrive. The charge will be a separate transaction. All desk employees were efficient and very friendly. The best part of this stay was the shuttle driver. I don't remember his name, but he was wonderful. He was our driver both ways, and remembered us from. He was so friendly and genuinely seemed to like his job. I recommend this hotel for a business and anyone who is in a hurry.
Stayed here with our two teenage sons the night before an early flight. The location is great and, even with other families staying there and enjoying the pool, the property was quiet at night -- a must when getting up early for a flight the next day! Breakfast was fine and thankfully on time at 6:00 a.m.
We only stayed one night before getting on the plane back home. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It had a large Jacuzzi tub which we did not use as did not have the time to sit and relax. The computer in the lobby was not working and the night auditor offered the computer behind the desk for us to print our boarding passes. We also asked him to get us a cab to the airport and he said the shuttle driver would be there in a few minutes, so he went and got the van and helped us load our luggage so we were ready to go as soon as the driver got there. Great customer service! Different then the gal who checked us in. She needs to smile more and be a little friendlier. Overall a great stay.
The staff at this hotel impressed us with how friendly and helpful they all were. The hotel was an easy access to down down Columbus and the surrounding area. We had planned on staying in the city but this worked out even better. Would plan on staying here again!
Our Senior men's team has stayed here now three different times for a men's tournament . The hotel has everything we need as a traveling team . The staff is very friendly and helpful . This is the first time we utilized their free shuttle which worked out very well also . The morning hot breakfast is typical of what you find at most hotels . We have nothing but positive things to say for our stay at this hotel .
Clean, comfortable, and friendly. Carpets and furniture need updating but it was better than I expected as I don't normally stay at Best Western hotels. They allowed early check in when we arrived and the hotel was easy to find. Close enough to uber for a reasonable price to the downtown area for events.
All of the staff here definitely went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. During my continental breakfast the service from an employee named Valissa was exceptional, and resturant quality. The room was clean. The relaxing hot tub was just what I needed after a long drive. All in all I would stay here again!
We just needed a place to stay that was close to the airport and included transportation to the airport. This hotel fit the bill. We didn't have time to use any of the service, but everything was clean and comfortable. Our shuttle drive was very friendly and helpful.
The hotel was close to the international airport, easy to find, clean and comfortable. The lounge chair in the room was a little old, hard, and stained, but everything else was good to go and a great value. The breakfast was great. We've paid thirty bucks for a family breakfast at a fast food chain while staying at other Columbus hotels because their "Complementary Breakfast" was stale toast and old fruit. Best Western did it right, though. I ate all I could hold, and when I travel, the diet goes bye-bye at the door, sausage included, baby.
This hotel was a little farther away from OSU than I wanted but after finding out they had a shuttle and free breakfast, we went for it! It was a great place to stay! Very clean, and a extremely helpful staff. Only disadvantage was the shuttle picking us up after the concert because it was a 20 minute drive both ways so we'd be waiting for quite awhile. Other than that, everything was great!
Great place to stay and very and helpful staff.Would stay here again in a second ,great experience! We went to various places, like the Columbus zoo and Eastontown center.North Market place was good too.It eas a good location to navigate from and that was helpful. You won't be disappointed if you pick the hotel.
As always Best Western has proven to be at the right place at the right time for us. The cost is great for the value which as retirees we appreciate. The staff as always is helpful and courteous. We forgot an item or two which the staff was able to provide for us without having to find a local store.
Awesome staff, great hotel for the price, only about 10 minutes from the Ohio State Fair Grounds. Lots of places to eat in the area, close to the airport if you're flying in for the horse show, Highly recommend the hotel.
This hotel has the friendliest and most helpful staff of any place we've stayed. The rooms are very quiet and very comfortable. I understand the hotel will undergo remodeling soon, but even now, it's a great place to stay.
Very quiet, comfortable. Friendly staff. The shuttle will even take you to the Easton shopping center for dinner or whatever, and pick you up. A very nice convenience. Lovely pool and hot tub. I woukd definitely stay here again on my next trip to Columbus. The location is great for exploring the area.
Travelled from Pittsburgh to Port Columbus for a graduation commencement at Capital U. Arrived at 2PM sharp and was greeted by a front desk team of Connie Brigman & Brittany Lash. They were quick to ask if we were AAA members which saved us over $20 each. They offered good advice about local eateries and local things to do. Each time we passed the desk they asked if everything was okay and were SINCERE about it. A great experience. Please commend the staff for myself and my extended family travelling with us!
More basketball travel for us... This time, our tournament brought us to Capital University in Bexley, OH. This Best Western was only a 10 minute drive, and what a nice place. All the staff were very nice, accommodating and friendly. They have an indoor pool and hot tub, which with our ball team, DID NOT go unused. The breakfast was very good. Especially the first day. The property was very clean, which I am a stickler for. They are about to go some renovations, so although it was a very nice property, I guess it is about to get even nicer. Also, want to thank Beth for all her help with our team reservations. GO PONY'S!!!!!
There handicap rooms are truly accessible. All fixtures are usable, grab bars are in right location and room around bed is adaquet. Other motels should go there to see how handicap rooms should be set up..
The hotel is good. Minor issues were there in terms of bedding and internet. Internet got addressed suitably. Staff can be friendly to customers. The breakfast is not good and was really cold. The guys were not too helpful over there. However this is a good place for a overnight stay to board your flights as very close to Airport. Too cramped and need to plan the space bit better.
We appreciated the quality of this Best Western. Very comfortable, nice whirlpool and great breakfast! We would stay here again. They were helpful when we needed directions. We like hte quality of Best Westerns.
I stayed here a few days and the experience would have been nice except a couple of incidents. Firstly, I had booked the room via booking.com and despite receiving an email confirmation the hotel had done nothing about it. I arrived after a long flight only to find out that the hotel was full. The receptionist seemed to indicate that the same thing had already happened many times. Instead of booking me to another hotel she eventually removed somebody else's booking and got me a room. Secondly, despite the generally good breakfast, I once got milk that was very badly off already. Luckily I did not get a food poisoning for my return trip. It is unfortunate since generally the staff was nice and the hotel pleasant.
I had used Best Western's website and searched for a room for three people. It gave me a list of suitable rooms and I chose one called "King Executive Suite." Sounded nice. I figured I'd let the kids share the king and I'd sleep on the fold out couch or a rollaway. When we arrived at the hotel, there was some kind of dubious activity going on in the parking lot - two big bashed-up looking vans were parked around the side, music blaring, and overly filled with people who were yelling back and forth to each other and wandering around. When I parked near one of them, I got several threatening glares. Ignoring this, I parked, gathered up the kids, and went inside. Check-in was slow. My kids and I finally got to the front of the line and got our key. On the way to the room, housekeeping people were in the halls with their cart and there was at least one person who seemed to be there "visiting" someone who was cleaning - they were very noisy and blocked the hall. We waited, then had to ask them to excuse us so we could get to our room. When we got to the room, my first impression was that the room was tiny for an "executive suite." There was only the king bed - no fold-out couch or room for a rollaway - how were three people supposed to sleep in this room? I also could hear lots of noise from the hall and the adjoining room - it was not well-proofed. The bed had been very hurriedly made - the dust ruffle was jammed between the mattress and the floor in several places and it looked unkempt. There was a big dark stain on the bedspread that looked as if it had absorbed something off the floor. I hoped it was coffee. The whirlpool area was a small built-in alcove in the room, which was completely filled with the most enormous whirlpool I'd ever seen - and it was surrounded on all sides by floor to ceiling mirrors. Plastic plants dangling down from the ceiling and carpeted steps led up to it, finishing the look. It was really something else. Not what this girl was looking for. Since we didn't have enough bed space for the three of us, I had no qualms about asking for my money back and heading elsewhere. There are tons of other choices in the area and we ended up at a nice clean spot down the road for the same price. The lady at the front desk was gracious in being sure my credit card was not charged for the room. That was the only positive in the 20-minute experience.
We decided to make a weekend trip with our family to go to the Zoo.mthis hotel was fairly priced (military discount) and not too far from the Zoo or the Cheesecake Factory. We reserved two rooms for two nights, for our party of four and one toddler. To begin with they had no roll away beds. Ok, we can adjust. But, when it's ten o'clock at night and your 3 year old granddaughter is trying to sleep, and there are inconsiderate people running up and down the halls, hooting and a hollering to each other, one tends to get a little irritated. So, we thought, they will calm down and go to sleep. No, Saturday afternoon it continued. To the point I went downstairs and made management aware of the situation. All the desk clerk could say was ok. My daughter comes down, she too addresses the desk clerk, again, ok. Apparently the desk clerks and the mgmt aren't too concerned about their guests to allow such disrespectful behavior to continue even AFTER it was brought to their attention TWICE! Let's not forget to mention the two young boys smoking pot in the corner of the parking lot. I mean seriously people? So, we checked out today, my husband expressed in his calm stoic voice how disappointed he was in his stay, the desk clerk attempted to apologize. Really? How hard would it have been to get the disruptive guests under control or ask them to leave? In all of my years of traveling, I've NEVER had such a horrible experience. We will be back to Columbus, but I promise you this...WE WILL NOT stay at another Best Western again. This one has ruined it for all. Congratulations!
We have stayed at this hotel many times. Aside from the fact that the property is clean inside and out, the employees are friendly, and it's close to the airport and to Easton Towne Center shopping, this Best Western is also pet friendly!
Good location to MAPFRE Stadium and no traffic in and out of the city. Also good location to Easton Mall. I would most definitely stay here again. The pool and the hot tub were barley used so we were able to be there by ourselves. No splashing/chaotic children.
This will be the hotel I choose for park & fly from the Columbus airport! Lovely property, great room and friendly, helpful staff! Much easier accessible than hotels by airport. Very nice pool and spa area.
We have stayed at this location for over 6 years. This is the cleanest I have ever seen it. They have repainted and scrubbed every wall and door. The staff is still very friendly. The Sunday morning breakfast was a little bit of a let down because the stove broke. But there was still more than enough to eat. There were people that didn't understand that waffle's, assorted cereal's, yogurt, bagels, fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, hot oatmeal, coffee, hot tea, and juice still made a good breakfast. All and all it was a great weekend get away.
Lady at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful. Key card entry pad on our door was not working at 10:30pm when we arrived back to the hotel for the night. We were locked out of our room until 12:30am before they FINALLY changed the batteries and could get us in. I was so unhappy with their lack of motivation and lack of caring. Cleaning person didn't even let the front desk know they couldn't get in to clean our room due to the keypad and nothing was cleaned or restocked. The bed sheets where stained and so where both chairs that where in the room. You couldn't pay me to sit on those! So unhappy with cleanliness of hotel and horrible staff!
I have stayed at this Best Western before and this stay I was disappointed with the housekeeping. I was especially disappointed with the front desk as though I was given and excuse. It was expressed to me that perhaps I stayed in my room too long or I had a sign to not to disturb. That wasn't the case. I had left my room to exercise and ate breakfast. I came back much later and the room still wasn't cleaned.
The breakfast was delicious. Bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, waffles, cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc. The hot tub was hot and relaxing. Kids enjoyed the pool Great hotel for a great price. We got it on booking.com. Would stay here again
They should have done better when it came down to it. I called 3-4 times from my personal cell phone to alert the desk staff of the children ringing my phone. It was constant during the night. I was advised to just take the phone off the hook. By morning, I was about to leave and check out, I thought about the phone being off the hook. I placed it back on the hook and YES...THE PHONE RANG AND IT WAS THOSE SAME CHILDREN. The clerk at the front desk said they knew of who was doing it but, obviously, NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT IT!
The Staff at this hotel is so helpful. They have helped our group and made my job extremely easy because of their accommodation and professionalism. The rooms are comfortable and clean and well appointed. If you are going to the airport or picking up people from the airport, there is not a better hotel in Cbus. Especially like the sales and desk staff. Also a nice pool and hot tub.
My husband and I stayed here last night for a Flyers game at Blue Jackets stadium. The Flyers stunk. The hotel did not. I was immediately inpressed with how friendly the staff was. The young lady at the desk was well dressed and cleanly pressed and smiling very genuinely. She was clearly thrilled to have us. She took several minutes to welcome us to the area, recommend a few places to visit and asked where we were from. I asked for extra pillows and she found us two. We had a problem with our credit card and needed to shred it and she took care of it. She commisserated with us after the game and brought me a fat stack of paper for printing in the morning in the business center. The cleaning staff was efficient and incredible. The entire time we were there someone was cleaning and wiping down. Our room was spotless. It is the attention to detail that always impresses me. Things like window sills that are wiped off and undersides of lampshades being clean impress me. This place was like that. One cleaning staff person was even wiping down the third floor base boards in the hallway last night! Yesterday afternoon I took advantage of one of the cleanest and most well tended pool areas I have ever had the pleasure of using in a hotel. First, let me say it is a beautiful facility. Little touches like wooden walls and mosaic tile make it a pleasurable place to spend time. Second, the cleanliness mentioned earlier continued here. Third, as a once lifeguard and current mom, I notice safety features and was seriously impressed with an obviously well stocked first aid kit, properly appointed backboard, appropriate equipment for poolside. A properly labelled and obvious emergency phone was also a huge positive. The only negative here was that there was not a towel hamper. Finally, our breakfast. I do not stay at hotels that do not do breakfast. This was by far one of the best I have had. The coffee was strong enough, everything was kept at the correct temperature, they had one of those wonderful industrial toasters that makes perfect toast. If you like sweet breakfast they had fixings for waffles, and muffins. They had wonderful sausages, eggs, and even home fries. We really couldn't have done better if we had bought breakfast elsewhere. Also the coffe bar is open 24 hours and is stocked with yummy flavoured creamers. This was a great experience!
I stayed at Western Port Columbus one night before my flight out of Ohio. The hotel is very clean, comfortable, and close to the airport. They also have a big pool and a Jacuzzi. The hotel provides free shuttle (drop off and pick up) to a shopping/dinning/night life area near as well as to the airport. I enjoyed my stay at Western Port Columbus and will stay there again if I go back to Columbus.
The room was clean and check in was quick. The staff were friendly yet unprofessional. The hotel shuttle wag not running so a cab wag called and paid for by the hotel. It felt poorly managed, would recommend for a one night stay.
stayed here for a conference at the greater Columbus convention center was a 7 min drive without traffic was 15 min with traffic. was wonderful hotel was quite had a hot tub/spa wichi was nice and heated pool. Breakfast was good and staff was sooo friendly. I had forgot my toothbrush and they were happy to give me a new one. very clean very friendly the spa needed a good scrubbing at the top edge but that was my only complaint. comfy bed and pillows nice room. quiet
Terrible experience at this hotel. The manager was rude and told us that everyone was waiting on us to get on the bus to leave for the Arnold when she was telling us this 20 minutes in advance! She forced us to finish our breakfast because "everyone else was ready and waiting to go". The shuttle was supposed to leave at 9 and she was rushing us at 840. The breakfast food was terrible and extremely greasy but to be expected with free breakfast food. The worst part was our toilet made a VERY LOUD grinding noise every 5-10 minutes all day long. The noise was so loud we had to keep the TV on through the night to actually drown out the noise. I will never stay in a Best Western. I would recommend if you are going for the Arnold in the future to pick someplace a little more classy and pay the extra money because this was NOT WORTH IT.
Stayed 3 nights and will not return. Staff was unprofessional, and not very helpful. The main issue I had was with the staff. Also every interaction I noticed with other guests at the hotel, the staff was unprofessional with. The morning manager was the only exception to this.
Reception at this Hotel made everything just perfect! Kind, friendly, and extremely helpful despite an obvious heavy booking during my one night stay. Shuttle bus was punctual except for a pickup request from the mall which was about 30mins late but it was fine given the time to spare. Room was spacious and clean with the standard Best Western amenities included; TV, Coffee Machine, Hair Dryer. Placing the Hotel near the airport(approx. 10 minutes) and a 5 minute drive to the Apple Store made it perfect location for me. Rain and an outdoor mall made my shopping experience not so comfortable. They do have a Large cinema at the mall if you're interested in spending time watching a movie. Breakfast was somewhat limited, I didn't quiet understand the concept of breakfast without a fruit basket but then again I hopefully didn't know where they kept the fruits. My room was quiet and the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spotless clean. I certainly would recommend this hotel to anyone planning on a short business trip in the vicinity. Again, I would like to compliment the professionalism of the staff which helped me throughout my stay up to the last minute drawing my attention to keep an eye out for an expected snow storm expected to cause airport delays.
Convenient to airport and fairly close to downtown. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The workout facility was adequate and clean. The hotel has a good sized pool and hot tub. Hot breakfast was good (eggs, sausage, potatos, waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt and various fruit
As a hotel it is fine, above middle grade. Location is great for Port Columbus airport. The breakfast is all right, what we go to eat of it in the early morning. Make your own waffles, bagels, stuff like that. OK. What sets this hotel apart is the GREAT staff they are really nice people.
Aside from the bedbugs, broken toilet seat and paper thin walls, this is the first hotel I have ever stayed at where the housekeeping staff runs the place. They would begin cleaning noisily at 9 am and asking us when we would be leaving our room. We often saw staff in the breakfast area helping themselves to the food. One evening, we were shocked to come back to the room and find that it had not been cleaned at all. When we complained we were told that housekeeping had gone home for the night. After much insisting, we were moved to a clean room. No bedbugs, but the safe didn't work nor half the lights. There were also a lot of odd people hanging around; one night a policeman was having an argument with some "guests" in front of the main door and the pool was taken over every night by a bunch of guys with several crates of beer. For me, never ever again!
Booked room with Jacuzzi and it was an amazing romantic getaway for the evening. The staff was really helpful and the hotel was very quiet, had no interruptions. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy breakfast because we slept in :-/
Desk clerk reissued our room at 9pm and we were horrified when the new guests walked in using their newly issued key cards. Front desk was rude after we questioned them on the issue. Management response worse than the desk clerk. Couldn't get clean towels, room wasn't serviced... many other hotel options on the surrounding blocks, seriously save the distress and don't even go there.
Great Service, excellent staff, and easy access off highway. I recommend it for anybody visiting the area. Stop in enjoy the pool, fitness center, and the continental breakfast. Make you own memories.
This trip was a business trip and the hotel was the perfect hotel for me. My room was clean and quite. The staff were friendly. Breakfast was nice and the location is great. Will be back to this hotel and will tell others as well. Keep up the good work.
always friendly staff, good fitness center and food within walking distance. gas for the rental car return right across the street. I love Best Western beds, the kings are always VERY comfortable. Good cable TV selection (which is important in Ohio because that place is boring!)
Rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a pool and hot tub in addition to a fitness room. Some rooms also have in-room hot tubs. Staff is very friendly hand helpful. Very convenient to airport and highway access to city.
We stayed here for 4 nights while in town for a horse show, while there 2 of our trucks and one other truck had windows smashed and items stolen. Come to find out the hotel has had their surveillance cameras turned off. We have received different stories from every employee that we have been in contact with as to why they are no longer on. Not only are the robberies not being recorded, but having no video surveillance also puts all guests at a big risk. We have not had any luck speaking with management or corporate about these issues we have experienced. It is safe to say we will never be staying at this hotel again nor will we ever recommend it to anyone after the terrible experience we have had.
The room was straightened, but could smell that it was an old room, not a new clean one. The hallways were loud - could hear people talking all up and down the hallway. We opened up the blanket and found hair strands - highly nauseating to say the least. Blankets should be washed upon every visit.
We stayed at this hotel to park and fly, The room was clean, and the staff was friendly but when we returned home we noticed our spare tire had been stolen. We also were scheduled to stay upon our return but the hotel had overbooked and a room was not available. They offered an alternative hotel, 13 miles away at the same rate we had booked with Bookingbudy.com but we decided to return home instead of stay another night in Columbus.
good place to stay near the airport. easy access to car rental return. Many places to choose from to eat. We liked The Marriott Grill down the street, pricey but good food. The breakfast served was the same as other places. when checking in the lady spoke fast and did not seem to care that we had arrived...the check out man was very pleasant.
One of the best hotel in a long time. The room was very clean. The workers were kind and helpful. I really appreciate everything during the time of stay. I will definitely stay here again. Thank you. I will definitely let others know about Best Western Port Columbus, Columbus, Ohio.
We stayed here based on the Park and Fly aspect of the stay. On our return October 11, 2015. We found that the back window of our vehicle had been shattered out. We immediately went to the front desk and the gentleman working said that he had only been there a couple weeks and didn't know what forms needed to be filled but recommended that we call the police. Then he followed this statement up with, "well there have been a lot of break-in's here the past couple weeks before you guys arrived." We were never told that there were any break-ins, had we been told this information we would have just simply parked at the airport for a lot cheaper. Not only did they not have any idea of what to do, we were not offered any assistance in cleaning up the shattered glass that was all over their parking lot. We are incredibly unhappy with our experience and will never stay here again, or recommend any one staying there.
This was a clean, friendly, reasonable place to stay. The room was clean and smelled good when I walked in. The check-in, as well as out, was easy and quick. The hot breakfast was simple but tasted good and came with the deal. The location of the hotel I'm sure was good if I was using the airport but other than that it left a little to be desired. There was nothing but a few fast food places to eat and only one pub style establishment that was closed. There are no attraction near by and it was a little noisy due to highway traffic . I would go back but just if I had to find a cheap place to get out of the rain.
Stayed at this hotel for two night and thought that every aspect of my stay was fine. The only minor problem was that the room is not as sound-proof as most guests would prefer. Voices from the adjourning rooms and loud footsteps from the room above was annoying to say the least. But this one complaint was not bad enough to stop me from booking this hotel again.
Not a bad hotel over all. The hot breakfast was a nice touch, although the biscuits could have been heated up first . The room was clean, but if you have a bad back or are the type that moves around a lot when you sleep, the mattresses are like rocks; so be prepared for some stiffness in the morning. Also if you have one of the rooms with a sleeper sofa, they will not be made up when you arrive. You have to do that yourself, and the sheets etc..are in a plastic bag by the door. The guest shouldn't have to do work to be able to sleep, it should be done before they walk into the front door.
It needs to be updated from top to bottom. bed uncomfortable, carpet worn, hot tub nasty. the outside of building was the best sight. location was wonderful and peaceful.... If you could just upgrade this would be the best kept secret to a renown place to stay in columbus
The Best Western is average. I wish a major Airport Hotel would offer some breakfast for those catching early flights - I left at 5:00 a.m.. The room was clean and had a large flat panel TV and coffee. My bonus was a nice walking track, at a cancer research center, near the hotel. The track was nicely landscaped, and I saw a pair of deer just beyond a narrow stand of trees along the path!
Worst night of sleep ever! Our teen sons slept in the king bed and my husband and I slept in the sofa bed. The sofa bed was terrible. You couldn't get comfortable because you could feel the springs with every move. The sofa bed was fine to sit on, but this should not be offered as an alternative bed. Hotel staff wasn't very accommodating either. They would rather talk among themselves than cater to their customers. Would not recommend this hotel.
