"Clean Stay"
The room was very clean and spacious. The carpet looked new and clean, and the room smelled nice. The staff was friendly and made check in easy and fast. The complimentary breakfast was good and the coffee was great.
"Great hotel near Agua Caliente"
I selected this hotel after reviewing several others in the area (reviews, cost, & ammenities considered). I'm so glad I decided on this hotel! I was attending a show at Agua Caliente, which is less than 3 min from the hotel; super easy to get to. I was kindly greeted upon my arrival, while the front desk verfied all my requests (ie extra pillows) prior to confirming my room, & giving me the keys. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the lobby has a machine for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available 24/7 for your access.--all rooms also include a coffee maker, microwave, & mini fridge (fairly large). The front desk was so kind to also provide bottled water at check in. I am a little picky, and a bit of a clean freak when it comes to hotels, but this one definitely met my standards. Everything was clean upon my arrival, and the room was inspected by Dave (the manager?) prior to me entering. He also kindly checked in to ask if I needed anything before settling in. What a professional, who goes above & beyond! At night, I returned to the hotel & saw the security guard walking the premises, and physically inspecting the car stalls with a flashlight to make sure that the area was secure. I have never seen this before! Kudos to the hotel for hiring people who care about their jobs & exceed the minimum standard. I will not hesitate to return here on a future visit to the area. What a pleasant experience. My only request is, if possible, to make the tv's smart somehow, or enable screen mirroring (from your phone) so that apps (like Netflix) could be streamed. Since most people visiting are likely attending shows/concerts, it's not a make or break. They have a fitness center & pool/hot tub too, and generously provide complimentary breakfast. Plenty to keep you occupied. Thanks for a great experience!!
"Great Stay"
Husband and I visited Palm Springs for a concert event. I booked the rooms at Best Western, two reasons, I'm a member, and second the hotel was close to the event. We were very happy with our stay. We arrived one hour before check-in, delighted to find out that our room was ready and we were upgraded. Andrew checked us in, he was very pleasant and professional. We did have an issue with the floor our first room was on. I went back to speak to Andrew about my concern and he quickly moved us to another floor. The rooms were very clean, spacious, comfortable and they have coffee Keurig in the room. They pool and outside spa was in great shape. Spa was very clean and at a good temperature. Breakfast was great, lots of choices, waffle maker, fruit, bagels, eggs, sausage, etc. Check-out is at 11am. We requested a later check out, the gave us until noon. Staff was very nice. Overall stay was great!!!
"My aunt is very picky and she loved this property"
It was a little bit pricey but overall, it was clean, safe and the staff was really kind. My aunt was so happy with the coffee service too. That was unexpected and again, my aunt complains about everything and this was the first time she didn't complain.
"The most uncomfortable stay hands down "
From check in to check out this hotel is much to be desired. I have never stayed at a hotel where they made you feel like you were a criminal and watching your every move. From the front desk (Andrew) to security as well as maintenance, this hotel treats its customers with no dignity. I am a diamond status member at another hotel chain where customer service is recognized. Where they treat their customers with respect. Unfortunately this particular property is not, at least most, has any clue on how to treat their well paying clients. I guess that's what you get when dealing with a hotel chain that's on the lower end of the spectrum.
"Great for overnight stay"
This was our second time staying here in three months. We would definitely stay again if passing through the area. Michele who checked us in was very helpful. I had just bought a new cell phone and didn't know how to make the sound louder when getting directions. We could barely hear it. I asked her if she knew how to make it louder and she helped us old people out. She went well beyond what her job reuired. Also...the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good.
"not a hotel for youth soccer teams"
This hotel had a great cleaning staff beautiful location close to the fields yet the front desk staff was very rude and singled out our soccer players. This hotel is mainly for working people in the area and not for youth soccer players.
"I would highly recommend this hotel"
great hotel with plenty to offer, I've been here before and will be back again. great hotel and staff! plenty in the area for meals. hotel room was comfortable and clean and in great working order. love that they have a Keurig coffee maker in the room :)
"Great experience!"
Comfortable and clean rooms. The location was convenient for our one night stay. Would stay here again. Staff was friendly and rooms were very clean. Coffee and mini refrigerator in room. Breakfast was average- but nice that it was offered. Newer hotel so everything was in excellent condition.
"This hotel will not disappoint you."
This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. I really like it. My only complaint remains a lack of shaded parking since this hotel is in the desert and even though the outside temperature only reached about 80 degrees during this stay, the car got very hot sitting in the sun. The people who work there are wonderful and go out of their way to accommodate you however they can.
"Nice stay"
Good location for traveling. Check in and check out was quick. Breakfast was ok, not too much of a variety but eggs and sausage were good.Worker kept area clean and replenished. Would stay there again if in the area.
"Four night stay"
Staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was too high, too soft and the frame had a Sweek. Also the shower head was so high I couldn't reach it without standing on my toes. Location was convenient but we had a concern about homeless people living in their truck in the parking lot near the hotel.
"Love it here"
VERY clean, AC works fast, outlets and USB in abundance, wifi and direct connection. They could honestly charge much more but choose to be affordable, I love it. This has become my go to spot when I travel.
"A Nice Stay"
I spent my stay there just after a retreat in Palm Springs. It's a nice hotel that gives the traveller what they need and offers a lot in terms of relaxation and pleasure. Its pool is very good for relaxing, it has a good amount of exercise equipment, and it has a great continental breakfast. A no-nonsense hotel in the Palm Desert area.
"Average resort for the area, great price during the summer, no shaded parking"
I stayed on a weekday during the very hot summer. My room had 2 queen beds and was on the 2nd floor. The elevators were fast. The room was a little better than average. Nice TV and the internet worked well. Good bathroom with a tub. The free breakfast was nice. I had scrambled eggs and bacon and orange juice. The bacon was not crispy, which I don't care for. The eggs were fine. The orange juice was not great, but the next morning, I had apple juice and it was better. There are no danishes or anything like that. Overall, it was a little better than an average hotel breakfast. The front desk agent gave me a different remote for the TV to allow me to plug in the Firestick I had brought with me. That was great and very much appreciated. This is a new hotel. I think it opened in late 2020. It is in the desert where temperatures are above 105 degrees for 8 months of the year. There is not one bit of shaded parking at this hotel. It makes absolutely no sense. Shaded parking is not a luxury in this area, it is a necessity. Vehicles get extremely hot there, too hot to get into to drive, until letting the vehicle cool of with the AC running for several minutes. They need to seriously consider adding shade to the parking areas. It should have been included when the hotel was being built so that it would not disturb guests. This is a serious oversight and might keep me from staying there again during hot months.
"Nice hotel but dirty pool"
Hotel itself is nice (clean room, good location, good hot breakfast), but on the day we went, the pool was exceptionally dirty (dirt at the bottom of the pool and swirls of dirt when you moved the water with your hands) from the weather being really windy. This is not the hotel's fault, but when we informed the clerk, he said it was clean the day before. He tried to contact the pool guy, but it was a Sunday afternoon, so I didn't expect it to be cleaned. At night, there was a traveling high school football team that checked in and they swam in the pool anyway -- so it's really up to you. Also, I learned my lesson and now request top floor rooms if possible -- some of those football players were in the room above us and it sounded like they were stomping until they went to bed.
"Weekend getaway"
The hotel is very nice. It is in a bad location. That area gets really bad sandstorms. My shower in my room had no hot water. I wanted a relaxing hot shower and I wanted to get the sand out of my hair.
"Clean and friendly"
Room was clean and staff is friendly. Staff was happy to provide clean towels as we needed. Breakfast was good. Location is close to shopping if you need anything. Parking lot is safe, and the loading area was well lighted.
"Better than expected!"
I booked 1 night for our family after a long and fun day at Joshua Tree in December 2021. It's a Best Western, and I wasn't expecting much. Our room (a standard 2-queen room) was massive and clean. I don't think it's been stayed in more than 20 times, honestly. The bathroom had ok water pressure, but was clean and had plenty of towels. We ended up getting dinner from a local fast food place and we had lots of space to eat in the room, between the armchair, desk chair, and the little ottoman. We likely could have taken our food down to the lobby, but opted not to. The parking lot was well-lit and quiet, even with several large trucks parked around it. In addition to the eggs, sausages, hash browns, and breads, they have a waffle maker, yogurt, and oatmeal at their free breakfast, which was a nice surprise. The service was fine-- I do wish the check-in desk staff made more of an effort to wear their masks because the mandates were still in place then, but I wore mine and mostly felt safe. The housekeeping staff all wore theirs.
"Just ok, maybe better when pandemic measures end."
Seems like a new property. Spacious rooms, solid Doors, fast elevators and nice breakfast space. Didn‘t clearly communicate that rooms are only cleaned after checkout. You have to pickup towels, tissues and paper at frontdesk. Had to reconnect business center pc and printer to wifi by myself. Wifi was reset daily. Soundproofing is pretty good, nearby traffic not disturbing sleep. Caution: Pool is extremly hot !
"Just Great"
For this visit, the location was perfect for all our activities. Our room was large, clean, and quiet. We used the pool - it was warm even in the morning. Breakfast was satisfactory. The bed was very comfortable.
"Clean and comfortable"
Wonderful place to recharge after the coast, heading towards Joshua Tree. Starbucks next door if you do coffee. Clean! Comfortable beds. Fitness center had what we needed. Friendly, accommodating staff.
"large comfortable rooms"
the room was larger then most, and spotless clean. the little counter area with coffee pot, micro wave and refr, was nice to have. The closet had mirror sliding doors and electric plug so I could do hair and makeup there, freeing up the bathroom.
"Registration"
When we arrived at check in time at 4:00pm, we were told we would have to wait 45 minutes since the room was not ready. I prepaid and my confirmation stated a 4pm check in. The manage at the desk would not offer us any compensation. We had been travelling all day and were exhausted. This is unacceptable.
"Nice stay - go early for breakfast!"
Newer hotel, easy checkin and nice comfortable rooms. Only negative was trying to go for breakfast at 8:55 am (was told it stops at 9:00 am) and entire area closed down, lights off, no ability to even grab a yogurt. We specifically chose a hotel with free breakfast as we have 3 young kids. Luckily a Starbucks is across the parking lot.
"BNP PARIBAS TENNIS TRIP"
Great place to stay if you coming to the tennis tournament. Easy access to the freeway and local businesses. Will do it all over again next year or later on this year.Check out Sherman's Deli in Palm Desert!
"Budget clean hotel near Casino"
This is a newer, clean, budget hotel on the outskirts of Palm Desert and Rancho Mirage. The hotel is very clean and comfortable and a decent choice if you are looking to save money. Within the same parking lot, there is a Starbucks, McDonald's, Taco Bell. Agua caliente casino Is less than a mile and walkable, as long as it's not summer. However, it is not a particularly scenic or ideal trek over the freeway bridge and feel sketchy at night. Adjacent to the hotel is also a large truckstop. Although this Area does have some nice desert views, it is isolated from the rest of the Coachella valley. So this is not a location you would want to stay if you want to experience The restaurants, shopping, and other attractions in the desert with your family. You need a vehicle and will be driving everywhere except the casino.
"Would stay again!"
No offense, but I don't choose Best Westerns very often. I usually stay at higher star hotels. That being said, I had to make a trip to Palm Desert, and my hotel choices were slim because they were either sold out, or the prices were sky high! I saw the Best Western Plus had rooms available, and the hotel has pretty good reviews, so I took a chance and booked a king room. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was! The hotel is in a good location, the staff was really friendly, the hot breakfast bar was great (for a hotel breakfast), and the room was big, nice, and clean! My only complaint is the shower. It has a low flow shower head, and the water doesn't get hot enough. Other than that, the hotel is great!
"Outstanding Hotel"
My overnight experience at this Best Western was superb. My room was well decorated and comfortable. The breakfast that was available offered a wide variety of choices including hot breakfast items. I would definitely stay there again.
"4 Night Stay in the Desert"
Nice clean, quiet room. Wholesome, filling, complimentary breakfast, with nice dining area. Good strong Wi-Fi. Really comfortable bed. Nice bathroom with modern, sliding-glass, shower. Large shower head.
"Failed to have breakfast."
Understandable, possibility of covid related. But breakfast was cancelled last minute. Throw out some prepackaged muffins at least. I know they would of had those on hand. It just felt like they couldn't do anything for the multiple hotel guests. Not a very clear reason why.
"Best Hotel around for the Money"
I stay here quite often and the rooms are always clean services excellent and I enjoy the breakfast the staff treated me very well at every visit. You cannot find a better hotel for the money in this area.
"Outstanding!!!"
My sons & I were very pleased with the beautiful Suite we stayed in for one night. The front desk accommodated me to the fullest & were very courteous. Everything about the hotel was nicely decorated & clean. (we did miss having a vending machine on our floor though) We will be back...thank you so much. 5 stars *****
"Great little gem in the area"
We stayed here for our trip to Palm Springs and Joshua Tree National Park. It's about 30-40 minutes away from both attraction sites. I was a little worried about this hotel at first since there were not a lot of reviews, but later found out it was a new hotel built in the past year that's why there were few reviews. The hotel was very clean, rooms were modern, and staff were very friendly. It's very simple/not fancy, but provides everything we needed. Breakfast is included, saves time and money for the trip. We were very pleasantly surprised that there were 4 free EV charging stations in the parking lot. We will definitely visit again if going to the area.
"Friendly, Clean, and Convenient Location"
Nice very clean rooms! Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice spot off the freeway, next to Starbucks and plenty of food places around the area. Not too noisy at all too, def stay again and recommend even though far from downtown PS.
"Palm Springs getaway"
The room was nice and spacious. However, as we were unpacking we opened the coat closet door and found a full size garbage bag full of stinky trash as well as dirty towels. The cleaning staff somehow completely missed it. The rest of the room was pretty clean. The front desk sent someone up to clean it up right away. The other main complaint was that we didn't get a warm breakfast one morning due to staffing shortages.
"BW PLUS DESERT INN - VERY NICE"
We've stayed at a lot of BW's and BW Plus's. I wasn't sure what to expect from this one, but it was very nice and I'd definitely stay again. Nice shower and great lighting in the bathroom. Comfortable bed and pillows. We also had a beautiful view of the mountains which was nice to wake up to! The staff at this hotel were all very nice & professional.
"Clean, Comfortable and Modern"
Best motel of our long road trip. Highly recommend this clean, modern facility. Lovely decor, very comfortable bed, worth every penny. Wireless phone charger, delicious breakfast. Plan to stay here again.
"BE CAREFUL WIYH YOUR CREDIT CARD HERE!"
I booked a room as part of a gift for Xmas over the phone directly with the hotel. The hotel took my card info over the phone then insisted I fill out a paper Authorization to use my card when my guests checked in. I emailed it to them complete with all my credit card info. It looks like someone used my credit card to buy almost $200 of food at the McDonalds next to the hotel. The Manager has not returned my calls. I had to cancel my credit card. Be very careful with your credit card.
"Awesome Staff, Hotel and Amenities"
From Sofia to James to Jasmine to Krisma and Antonio, everyone was soooo nice, friendly, accomodating to my family needs, understood my son's disability, it made our 2 day stay great. I wish we were there longer. When I head back to Palm Springs for a getaway, I am staying there! Thanks to the staff for making it the best. It was even Thanksgiving weekend and some of the staff stayed longer than their shift and then arrived early the very next day to help or cover another coworker. The names I listed need recognition and compensation for their true hardwork, especially during these times when people do not want to work.
"BWP Has Raised the Bar!"
There's nothing I didn't like and look forward to staring at the BWP the next time we are in Cathedral City, CA! It was VERY clean, the breakfast buffet was FABULOUS, the standard king room was more spacious than any other hotel we've stayed at. From the moment we checked-in the customer service was TOP NOTCH & with all that has been going on, it's not something you see all the time. If I could give this review 10 stars, I would!
"Great stay at the Best Western Plus in Cathedral City, CA"
Excellent service. Immaculate room and very comfortable. It was easy to adjust the temperature, which is not always the case in some hotels. The person who helped me check in at the front desk was wonderful. Friendly, and vey helpful. All around a wonderful stay.
"Nice Newer Hotel"
I stayed overnight at this newer hotel. The room was well appointed and the breakfast was quite good (with scrambled eggs, waffles, bacon, sausage, etc.). When I checked in, I provided my credit card as requested, but reiterated to the male agent that I had pre-paid the bill through my travel agent. At check-out the next morning I was told the room would be charged to my credit card. I told the very personable agent, Sophia, about the issue and she said she would take care of it. When I saw a pending charge on my credit card later that day, I called Sophia and she apologized and assured me that it had been a check-in error and that it would take a few business days, but that the charge would be reversed. All in all, a clean and comfortable hotel.
"great start and finish"
We had lots to do and we needed a plce to stay. This Best Western Plus Desert View did the job Especially attentive to us was Sophia at the Front Desk. She was incredibly helpful, pleasant and informative. And gave me her 'favorite color' to try my luck at the slot machines....and I won!!! She is great at what she does and it was important that I recognize her for her stellar service to us both. We will be back!
"Clean and comfortable room."
We popped in around 10:30 p.m. for a quick overnight stay. Michelle at the front desk was wonderful, amazing customer service. We got keys to our room within minutes. THE BED: The hotel is new, which is always a benefit. The beds were so new and comfortable. Two years on our tempurpedic at home. This was the first morning to wake up with no body ache. I may come back for another good night stay. Nice pillows too. Room was clean, had everything you needed for a nights stay or I would stay longer if in the area again. Wonderful breakfast with the make your own waffle, bacon, sausage. Good coffee as well. Everything you need to refresh and hit the road again. I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again. You have to get past that it's right off the freeway location. It was clean and quiet.
"Excellent For An Overnight Stay"
If you are not planning a “Palm Springs Vacation”, but just a night stay while traveling, I highly recommend this Best Western. It is just off the 10 Highway at Bob Hope Drive. For dinner, drive a few blocks to Taqueria San Miguel for fantastic Mexican food. The Best Western is new, and therefore clean. The front desk staff as very friendly and helpful. Can't beat the rates also. This will be our overnight stay on our travels to Nor Cal from Arizona…
"Awesome in every way... Luis & Michelle at the front desk are the best..."
As mentioned, Luis is a pro and very accommodating. Michelle finds a way... Anything she could do she does. Extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds are well kept. There's even aloe vera plants out front. Not to say one should harvest them, but very pretty to look at... Hotel is new (2020) with interior hallways and interior elevators. Rooms are nicely decorated. To me this is a 5 star property at rates that rival Motel 6 just down I 10. Will always stay here when in the Palm Springs area.. BTW Trip Advisor lists as 1000 Palms. It is not. It's really Cathedral City and very handy off I 10... Bob Hope Drive...
"Great clean hotel and friendly staff"
The hotel is very new, clean and spacious. The walls are pretty thing and had next door folks that were partying from 1130pm until after 4am. We just kept turning the air up to drown out the noise. The staff was very accommodating and extremely friendly. To the folks that stayed next to us, hope their hangovers were worth it! :(
"great stay"
i like this hotel, friendly staff, big rooms.close to a casino.i will stay here again, and i will recommend it to my friends and family.,the room was very clean, and the girl at the front dest was very sweet
"Awesome Service"
I had a last minute stay and the customer service was amazing. They got me a great room, very clean and nice. Helped with the pricing as well. After a few hours right before bed I needed medication stored in the mini frig. The frig wasn't working correctly so I went down to the front desk and she was so great, I got a new room that was even upgraded and everything. I recommend this hotel to all.
"Bad Customer Service"
Great desert view in the room, newly renovated inn. To go breakfast is a joke, artificial color and flavor muffins provided, Treetop apple juice if you got luck. Low shower water pressure (room 326). Garbage and fire lighter on the floor of the room when check in. Next morning of our stay, we asked the front desk regarding room cleaning, she gave us a hanging card to put outside the room door. In the afternoon, our room was not cleaned, a male staff (wear glasses) said now Covid, no housekeeping unless upon request and on the list, our room was not cleaned. The staff are inconsistent in practices. I tried to check out around 7:40 am, the staff Sophia said she can't apply my gift cards, as only the management can do, who will be in the office by 8 am, so I left my printed gift cards paper to Sophia, who called me afterwards and said that the printed paper was missing so I have to send to her again. How organized is this hotel!
"Terrible Billing Practices and Customer Service"
I had made a reservation at this hotel and subsequently cancelled the reservation 48 hours before the check-in date (within the non-penalty cancellation timeframe). My credit card was still charged for this reservation. I have been contacting the hotel several times for the past 10 days. Was told the charges would be reversed, which never happened, and the hotel manager has not returned several messages. I now need to go through my credit card company to reverse these charges.
"Skip this hotel"
Despite being a new hotel, there are still a number of significant bugs to work out. Don't believe the advertising about the full breakfast. There is no breakfast. It doesn't look like the dining area has ever been used for anything. It is currently being used for laundry. We stayed at for other Best Western properties on our trip. Three offered full cooked breakfast with appropriate Covid precautions. One offered sack breakfast with a variety of choices. This property advertises breakfast but offers nothing at all. Watch your step in the first floor hallway. The brand new carpet has waves in it and you may trip on them. The most obnoxious thing about the hotel was that the bright ceiling light came on 30 or 40 times during the night all by itself. They advertise “energy-efficient“ rooms in which one must place a key in a slot for the electricity to work. We tried everything, turning the light off and on, removing the key from the slot. Every time we drifted off to sleep, boom, like a flashbulb going off.
"Beware false advertisement on amenities"
This hotel opened in May 2020, during covid and yet continues to advertise that it offers a full breakfast. We were shocked to discover upon checking in there is no breakfast what so ever, not even a to go bag. Every other BW we have stayed in offered at least something and many were creative in how they offered full breakfast during covid. For them to list breakfast as part of their amenities is simply lying, and they rate themselves a BW Plus. More like a BW Minus. On the plus side it is a newer hotel and the room was clean.
"Rescued by Best Western"
My friend and I were unexpectantly needing accomodations in the Palm Springs area for 3 days while our car was repaired. We reserved rooms elsewhere in the area. The customer service was horrible... the only desk person could not tell us if the sheets were fragrance free and then said we could not have our room on time because of our special request. We walked and called Best Western to cancel that reservation and try to find another place for us. They directed us to this new property just off of I-10 and Bob Hope Blvd. Mary and Michelle on the desk were super helpful when texting us pictures of the cleaning products. When we arrived they treated us with friendly help and respect. This service continued throughout our stay. Although this site does not yet serve breakfast there was a coffee maker and refrigerator in the room and a Starbucks across the parking lot. The beds were super comfortable and the air conditioning divine. I met Manual, the manager, walking the property and praised Michelle and Mary to him. All three made us feel welcome and offered answers to our many questions. Next time we stop in Palm Springs, this will be our spot! By the way, they are very close to the Casino in North Palm Springs.
