"Poor - not recommended"
Janet V, 11 Novembre 2024

Rooms have been upgraded but still had a non working TV. Tried to sort to no avail. Previous trip resulted in a number of issues including someone else signing my paperwork being given access to my information - resulted in issues with me checking in. Given acces to & sent to a room that was already occupied by mistake. Fridge was leaking leaving a wet smelly carpet. Toilet was loose & didn't flush properly. All reported formally but totally ignored. Not a place I would recommend & only use as a last resort when nothing else available.

"Bunbury overnight"
Schutsy1963, 08 Octobre 2024

The staff were helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The breakfast buffet was better than most the coffee was very nice and the staff manning it made a great coffee. The only downside was in the room with a shower over bath, which was very slippery so I had to use a towel to feel safe. The shower head was just over my head and I am not tall. That said would stay again

"Stay away"
JnT C, 07 Octobre 2024

At the time of booking we were not advised that the bar & kitchen would not be accessible as it was hosting a function. We were not advised that the pool and spa would not be accessible as it was being renovated. Carefully check everything in your room before handing over your money, what we got and what we paid for were 2 completely different things.

"Clean Comfy and Centrally located"
Melissa B, 29 Septembre 2024

The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Bathroom looks to be fully renovated but no bath. We were travelling from interstate and wanted to use the laundry but there was no powder and one in reception to assist. Small things but they matter when you're turning over clothes regularly. Overall, pretty good.

"Horrible"
julie m, 29 Septembre 2024

Experience was terrible… was our 28th wedding anniversary we checked in at 3pm got stuff out of car went to room and house keeping wasn't done came downstairs waited an hour to get back to room as they had to send housekeeping to clean.. was promised a free meal but had to pay for it. The lack of staff is appalling and the care factor on checkout was well beyond words. The check in guy was lovely on Saturday and couldn't do enough…and Hayley in the restaurant was awesome… way to ruin a nice weekend..I have had much nice hotels for far less and the quality was far greater…

"Money first please."
Lash_Clone, 15 Septembre 2024

Money first please, dispute having paid a $ 100 mini bar deposit which was stiii listed as pending and not cancelled They wouldn't let me check in unless I paid again. They had my credit card details and had charged my card for the mini bar so they knew my card was good.

"Very unhappy"
Bev W, 13 Septembre 2024

Pool being refurbished. Was not advised when booking made air conditioning not working Very disappointed Was advised still set to heating. Maintenance to be called in to rectify. Was told manager to arrange Then told would be at least a couple of days to fix. Room roasting hot. No sleep !!

"Have always had an enjoyable stay."
Don T, 31 Août 2024

Have stayed at other establishments in Bunbury but always seem to come back to the Lord Forrest as go to accommodation. I may be old fashioned but love the Atrium style hotel. Great area to sit and relax by the pool and have a cocktail (though expensive). Nice dining area. Easy undercover parking. Short walk to the city centre and entertainment complex. Great ocean views from your balcony if you have a room on the ocean side. Sure some of the rooms could do with a complete refurb but overall not too bad. This is one of the few establishments where I wish I could stay longer which is pretty rare!

"10/10 well done guys"
Joe R, 11 Août 2024

Very nice and clean rooms. The staff couldn't do enough for you on arrival and were very friendly. The rate we received for the night was very good. Keep up the good work Lord Forrest. The restaurant was excellent and the buffet breakfast was 10/10

"Horrible hotel"
blogger1313, 29 Juillet 2024

Couple fighting at 1 am screaming loud for 2 nights and people drilling on walls at 2am no security in the hotel night reception not doing hes job at all All guests came out to see what was happening loud noise and screaming i dont recommend this hotel 1 star

"Nice room, nice location, very clean"
Anneke A, 19 Juillet 2024

Very clean. But amenities a little limited. Only basic 2 pieces of mini soap bars, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner. No shower cap. We got a room for 3 ppl. Room looks newly refurbished. Great central heating- we went during winter time. Could have improved their welcome service at reception. Didn't see any smiles or welcoming feeling.

"fantastic Property to stay at"
MARSHALL D, 19 Juillet 2024

Room was fantastic, ammentioes great, mini bar well stocked, Check in Staff fantastic and friendly. Main bar staff also fantastic and attentave. Great parking on site. walking distance to centre of town. In the summer a short walk to the beach. Many great resturants and cafe's near by.Location Location Location

"Town Weekend"
TMM818, 14 Juillet 2024

Cheeky weekend in town and the Lord Forrest was super convenient and well priced. Only one staff member at check-in time which saw a large que of people form, but the room was fine and the bed was great. Same problem with most hotel rooms and the lack of exhaust fan in the bathroom so had to do makeup in the room.

"Amazing"
Alen M, 01 Juillet 2024

The hotel was just amazing and wonderful great services and amenities like the pool, restaurant Bar and Mini Bar and great view of Bunbury and the ocean.

"Lord Forrest Hotel, Bunbury"
DavidReedIngram, 11 Juin 2024

No problems or issues with this hotel. Very pleased and would stay again which would be our third visit

"Great location for the local cafes and an excellent wander to the beach. Bunbury."
Jeff M, 08 Juin 2024

Nice room, excellent staff and very pleasant albeit oldish style carpets - and that stuff ages. There is reasonable free parking; some are covered, plus outback at the lift level. The food in the dining room was great, the breakfast was ample, and even the pool looked inviting. The negatives - the room air-conditioning whistles! Annoying to the extreme in the strange weather. I did get some work done, but bugger all sleep. And second... the house Internet "Guest" ... one word. It sucks!

"Worst hotel in Bunbury , better off at Caravan Park"
Brigbtravels, 30 Mai 2024

*NOT ABLE TO CONTROL ROOM TEMPERATURE- Room was freezing cold, had to request electric fan heater *TOILET SEAT BROKEN - could not sit on seat without it sliding off the bowl * SHOWER HEAD- belonged in a ablution block camp ground *NO MILK AVAILABLE- apparently a shortage 🤣 when requested from reception was advised to go and get it myself *ONLY 1 lift working, delays to reach four floor very slow * BATH TOWELS SO thin could be large tea towels. Sheets were not clean and fresh smelling but mouldy smelling *$5 for a bottle water - none complimentary *MINIMAL toiletries And all this for the tidy price of $250 DO NOT RECOMMEND, PLENTY OTHER 110% better options

"Great hotel to stay"
Jackie M, 03 Mai 2024

First time staying here, lovely ground floor - reception, bars, pool, friendly staff, stayed in a king superior, great bed, great space, goid views. Would highly recommend.

"Customer service.....what is that?"
Familyfun69, 02 Mai 2024

First impressions are important in the hospitality industry, the greeting on arrival was less than impressive. We were asked our name and although we had booked on the hotel website and the confirmation said to pay at the hotel we were informed our bill had been charged to our card already. We found out later about the fees, our booking advised us about the $3.50 fee that we get charged for the pleasure of doing our own booking but neither the booking process or infact the confirmation of booking that they email outlining the prices mention or show a credit card fee. They really are the most backward hotel, most are trying to get more people booking direct so they dont pay out high commissions to other booking site, this hotel clearly don't want you to book direct. Refurbished rooms are ok but they clearly like to leave the carpets looking as ragged as Keith Richards after a night on the tubes. Plenty of other hotels in Bunno, we have stayed in most and all were better option, after the zero care factor from this hotel on our fee feedback we won't be going back. A shame, used to be a crackin place...now its a shaddow of its former self

"Bad service"
Thelma M, 26 Mars 2024

Collin the waiter was extremely rude to us and the reception was not helping at all, the restaurant was empty n he wldnt let us choose a table, it was a horrible experience and such an inconvenience i wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They ddnt even hv a manager on duty to address our concerns

"Pleasantly surprised, clean, central stay."
Krystal B, 03 Mars 2024

Last minute booking for Bunbury and only the Lord Forrest hotel was available. We had booked the King Ocean view room for two nights. On arrival I had parked in the back carpark which gets packed and parking is a first come basis and the spots are very tight. I ended up moving my car and parked on the street which is free parking on Sundays and 3hr parking Mon-Sat up until around 6pm then is free. Headed to the reception where I was warmly greeted by Josephine and found check in to be a breeze, as I headed up to level 3 in found the room was spacious and clean but no ocean views (paid the big bucks for it and was overlooking the Officeworks carpark) so I headed back to reception and questioned it. Josephine was very apologetic and moved me to room 409 to which I was stoked. Again moved to the new room and this one had an ocean view. I cranked the AC and found it to be very noisy and no cold air coming out so I thought to leave it running while I walk over to the shops. When I come back the room wasn't cool at all so I called reception to come have a look, within 10mins a man came up and was again very apologetic and the air con wasn't working so for the inconvenience I was moved to the top floor to a one bedroom apartment. I was so surprised they had this room available and that they gave it to us. So headed up to room 502 and WOW it was spacious, one long balcony from the living to the bedroom, spa bath separate toilet and kitchenette. It did have a sofa bed which has seen better days but overall the room was clean, spacious and nice. The room had two air con vents, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. The views were amazing and watched the sunset. We had drinks at UNWIND and was just nice. The location is so central and close to everything, cafe, shops, movies and our fave Timezone. I was pleasantly surprised at my stay after reading mixed reviews. We would stay in the one bedroom apartment again for sure.

"Absulutely terrible hotel"
rottodiver, 17 Février 2024

We booked on the best western website, we received a confirmation number, arrived at the hotel to find they new we were coming but didnt have a room for us, they tried ringing other hotels in bunbury with no luck. They then said they had a room for us at the Lord Forest but was a cheaper room than we ordered. We had to take what we were given. We were assured the room was "a beautiful room". We went in the room and it absolutely stunk of vomit. We had to leave the room and go and buy air fresheners, we paid $25.00 on fresheners and had to remove ourselves from the room for almost all of the time we were there except for sleeping, even by the next morning the smell could not be masked. It is horrifying that a hotel is prepared to make someone pay for such a disgusting room, it was so bad that there is no way a staff member could not have known.

"No customer service and an overall bad experience."
Margaret L, 17 Janvier 2024

The rooms are average and extremely noisy air conditioning. The dining experience is terrible. The food was burnt, and they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. Some how they think that sorry is compensation for waiting for 1 hour for a simple dinner of chicken, chips and a small bowl of salad. No dressing! The last time I stayed at the hotel and asked for dressing for my salad they charged me $3.00 LOL

"Old dirty hotel with poor service"
Ryan V, 13 Janvier 2024

I don't usually write reviews but feel compelled to write a review for this hotel. Anyone writing a good review for this hotel is being kind. It is an old hotel in desperate need of renovation and WAY OVERPRICED. When we entered the room, we were greeted with matted carpet that had tons of dark stains. The air conditioner rattles as loud as a semi truck and cannot be adjusted which made it very difficult to sleep. The pool is in the middle of the lobby so the entire first floor smells like chlorine. The staff didn't seem to care about any concerns we had. On top of that, our daughter was sick and they wouldn't give us a late check out (past 10am) unless we paid an exorbitant amount of money. We traveled all around Australia and stayed at much nicer hotels for less. I would avoid this hotel..I am sure there are much nicer hotels in the area.

"Friendly and Helpful"
Michelle T, 11 Janvier 2024

We got great service here, our room had a noisy airconditioner overnight and once I reported it to staff, we were given an upgrade to a bigger room with a wraparound balcony which was absolutely lovely. The maintenance guy was so kind and friendly, and even got a free breakfast for us. I have stayed here several times and will return again and again. The hotel is old but it has been renovated nicely and the rooms are clean and just lovely.

"good value"
domilink, 04 Janvier 2024

after staying at the hotel twice this year for work decided to book a few rooms for a stay with my family and extended family. it was exactly what I expected and no complaints from anyone in the family.

"Staff impolite"
njshy1966, 30 Décembre 2023

The male staff didn't look us when we checked out this morning, even he said: Thank you. Have a nice holiday. It's impolite. Sure, it's 3 star hotel. We should not expect too much. The lift which from underground car park to hotel , floor 2 number light doesn't work,

"Enjoyable"
sguile, 19 Septembre 2023

We have stayed here in the past with the family and friends. Please is always clean, good facilities, friendly staff and good price point. Central location to activities around and main strip for food and drinks.

"Noisy and no aircon"
Dreamer791721, 10 Septembre 2023

Room was very noisy, no sound deadening at all between rooms. Loads of door slamming. Also being on a low floor there is heaps of traffic noise. Air con cold setting blew hot air. Will avoid in future.

"Pleasant hotel, great staff"
255103BethC, 09 Septembre 2023

My husband and I stayed at the Lord Forrest for 2 nights. Our junior king suite had everything we needed, comfortable king sized bed, small kitchenette with toaster and kettle, and a bar fridge we could put fresh milk in (hate those little long life containers of milk!). There were two firm and two soft pillows on the bed, and a good sized balcony. Unfortunately the room was too warm, even though the weather was cool, and as much as we fiddled with the airconditioning controls to try to turn off the heating it didn't work. No huge inconvenience, we just left the glass balcony door open all night and closed the flywire door. The room had been cleaned really well, housekeeping obviously work hard. The best part of the hotel for us was the staff. The lovely man in charge of breakfast, Colin, made us very welcome. He asked what hot drinks we'd like and had our flat white and pot of tea on our table ready for us when we returned from the buffet. Lovely coffee, I really enjoyed it and my husband also enjoyed his English Breakfast tea. Colin was a bundle of energy and worked tirelessly to assist guests, clean tables and generally made sure that everyone was happy. A huge asset to this hotel. The young man who worked the bar was extremely friendly and efficient. The bar was quite busy when we went for pre-dinner drinks, and again when we popped back in for a nightcap, but this young man was unflustered and handled everything like a pro. Something else that struck me was that nearly every staff member we encountered, such as housekeeping, were all very cheerful, polite and friendly. The man on check-in was a bit disinterested but the process was completed efficiently, the woman on check-out was quick and efficient. I'd be happy to stay at the Lord Forrest again. I

"Worst hotel in Australia"
Nannamac, 08 Septembre 2023

I have to say this was the worst hotel I have stayed at. We didn't stay and checked out immediately. The room was so hot it was over 35 degrees. There was a note of the air conditioning saying the system is set to heat only. I contacted reception who said turn the unit off, however it was off and still pumping hot air. There was no way I could sleep in such a hot room. At no time was I offered another room. I had no other option but to find a different hotel. The worst customer service from the reception staff she didn't care no offer to fix the problem. You advertise air conditioning that means heat or cooling, not a system set to the season. You need to change the website and inform customer you do not have a full air conditioning system. The hotel looks like it is falling apart blue cabling around the walls above the doors. It's such a shame that the hotel is such appalling state.

"Cheap and nasty ashtray stink"
Mattyp01, 20 Juillet 2023

Room stank like ashtray. Internet was useless. Bucket of ice charge $6 that arrives uncovered not on a tray in a cracked plastic bucket. Steak and veg $56... average pub grub standard. Air conditioning disastrous hot and stuffy. Outside lighting lit up room all night. Rooms not sealed properly so wind howls under the door. Shower head wouldnt stay in place had to hold it to have a shower. Provided feedback and got a feeble apology even as i cancelled my stay and went elsewhere. They just dont care!

"Very good hotel."
Thrmel, 16 Juillet 2023

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Lord Forrest Hotel. We will certainly comme back to this hotel next time we will be visiting the South West. The room was very pleasant, clean and quite big for the two of us.

"Do not stay here"
hayleyehmsen, 10 Juillet 2023

My partner and I stayed there, booked and paid extra for the “ocean view” but out view was of office works instead, we had ants all on our bed and over the furniture, definitely don't not recommend staying here as we won't be again

"Relaxing At Lord Forest Hotel"

"A Stopover"
David A, 17 Juin 2023

The room was warm and clean. Breakfast was sufficient and I would stay there again. It has a 24 hour service desk. Arrived late and left just after breakfast so not much else to say. just have to make up 200 characters.

"Best stay in Bunbury"

"Excellent spacious rooms"
jombwf, 24 Janvier 2023

Very neat, clean & tidy, great for a family & really comfortable beds. Nice & quiet in the room, everything pretty perfect at this Hotel. The spacious room is great for the fam, all had room to breathe, bathroom really new & spotlessly white, kinda perfect when you're a little ocd over cleanliness. Would definitely stay here again, well priced & lovely staff. Thanks LF team :-)

"Good All Rounder"
maritap151, 12 Janvier 2023

Hotel is located conveniently in the city centre. Rooms have balconies with lovely outlooks, are light, airy, clean and large. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. We have not used the pool or restaurant but they look very nice.

"Great hotel"
Sherron M, 11 Janvier 2023

The rooms are really nice and keep very clean. The restaurant the food is great and the staff really friendly. Would recommend the hotel to anyone going to Bunbury. The location is fantastic as there are many local places you can walk to.

"Better than we expected"
Lynette M, 09 Janvier 2023

We stayed at the Lord Forrest on NYE because we did not want to drink and drive. The room was very clean and pleasantly decorated. The bed was very comfortable and we were quite impressed. Better than a lot of places we have stayed for a lot more tariff.

"Thank you LORD FORREST"
bushyca6969, 06 Janvier 2023

Overall a pleasurable stay Easy and fast check in courteous staff & nice room after some difficulty with booking .com tha very helpful receptionist sorted my stay out immediately and things were smooth sailing for my week long stay,

"Disappointing. A very noisy hotel."
NellieFlys, 26 Décembre 2022

On the plus side, the staff here are nice and the rooms are clean enough. Sometimes that is all you need, but in this case it's not enough. The whole building, including the rooms, smells very strongly of chlorine from the atrium pool. The rooms are not well soundproofed so you hear everything going on in the rooms above or beside you all through the night. The room air conditioning is very noisy and set for the whole building. The beds are uncomfortable will be a problem for anyone with a bad back.

"Exceeded our expectations!"
Kraylene, 18 Décembre 2022

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lord Forrest, we came for one night and ended up staying for four nights! The rooms were kept very clean and were a lot more modern than we expected. The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful if we had any queries.

"Definitely Stay Here Again"
donzie2016, 14 Décembre 2022

The location of this hotel is so convenient. The atmosphere is relaxing and family-friendly. If you order room-service it is fast with a high standard of presentation, cleanliness and efficiency. The restaurant in the hotel itself was commendable. The reception was excellent and friendly. The accomodation costs were reasonable.

"Lord Forrest Best Western"
Ian W, 12 Décembre 2022

I have stayed at The Lord Forrest Best Western hotel over a number of years for my work at the Bunbury Health Campus. I was in the habit of using booking apps thinking that I was getting the best deal. That was until I was enlightened by manger Paula who explained the benefits and savings of booking direct with the hotel. I have now been booking direct, getting the best price and have been rewarded on occasion with room upgrades My recent last visit included dinner in the hotel restaurant. The main course of chicken schnitzel was so delicious and generous that I was unable to face up to my favourite sticky date pudding dessert. I can highly recommend the Lord Forrest.

"old but always a lovely stay"
stevewainwright, 05 Décembre 2022

another lovely weekend down at the Lord Forrest for our 39 year wedding anniversary the hotel is probabably in need for a a bit of refurbishing but we still love it. My only suggestion dont stay in room 214 it has some sort of pump next door to it which seems to be right against the bedroom wall and it goes all night and some sort of drain system on the balcony that has the sound of water running as well going all night but that said will always love the Lord Forrest it is our go to place when staying in Bunbury just will make sure next time we are not in room 214

"Highly recommend"
julie e, 22 Novembre 2022

From the time I booked till we checked out we had impeccable service . Apartment was amazing spacious and clean . Beautiful ocean view with balcony. Room service was great . Truely recommend staying . Thank you Best Western you never fail to impress

"Family catch up"
malnanne22, 14 Novembre 2022

I must give praise to the Lord Forrest Hotel. We stayed 2 nights over the weekend, our first mini break for 2022. From the moment we arrived we were treated to a level of professionalism I have not seen in years. Don't get me wrong, this hotel was understaffed in all areas, yet the level of service was first class. From the reception, to the bar, to the restaurant, everything was on point. Yes there was some delays, but service was of such high standard, it didn't matter. The covid pandemic has brought all sorts of challenges to most businesses, but the way it is handled and dealt with is what matters most. In the case of this hotel, they have done themselves proud in their abilities to make change in difficult circumstances. The restaurant delivered some amazing food with great options. Congratulations to everyone at the Lord Forrest. Our room was perfect with a great view and comfortable bed. We will be back.

"Great value, clean and cozy"
EmTsonis, 13 Novembre 2022

Our hotel had everything we needed in one place - especially for the price point. Everything was clean, appliances were a little dated but the decor was nice overall. The pool and restaurant area is appealing, great for families! Staff were very friendly. If you want room service I would recommend ordering by 8:30pm as kitchen closed before 9pm. Just an easy experience, I would recommend a stay here and will definitely go back.

"Great amenities"
terry478, 11 Novembre 2022

Great value, excellent service. Restaurant meals were great value and large portions. The staff that we met were all very friendly. Very central to everything in Bunbury. Just had a upgrade a d we were very impressed.

"Relaxing stay"
christinebrems58, 05 Novembre 2022

A comfortable clean hotel. Very relaxing 2 night break. Staff very friendly and professional. Wish they would renovate the bathrooms with a walking on shower room and get rid of the baths. Otherwise a nice hotel.

"Old, over rated and past its day"
Carol N, 24 Octobre 2022

Overpriced by far, plus an extra $10perday to hire a m/wave to heat a much needed heat pack is just plain unfair. Noise from next rooms water service was like a machine gun as was their door banging thru the 2 nights we had the misfortune to stay. Only 1 chair for 3 people, ridiculous !Facewashers, soaps etc only provided for 2 people. The carpet had not just a few but several stains on it. Daily linen service is advertised l believe ? The beds were not changed merely remade, leaving 2 stained doona covers on, 1 was quite bad. We gave some stars as the staff were nice. Its not their fault at all that the place is old, outdated and only set up for the 1 disabled parking bay behind the hotel. We fought for any parking bay on that level as the staff had even said the stairs would be too difficult from the underground car park. Sitting and waiting for a parking space was not expected to be part of our holiday. That was very difficult to be sure . We had presumed we would get a bit of comfort for my 92 yr old Mumma but certainly not .Never again ty

"Tired hotel with greedy operator"
P6879REi76r, 21 Octobre 2022

Don't be a fool and stay at this run down hotel. We experienced a delayed flight and were unable to stay on our first night of accommodation. Despite this, we had to pay for the first night's accommodation even though we notified the hotel as soon as we were advised by Virgin Australia 24 hrs prior. Management denied us any compensation whatsoever. The spa bath was old and dirty. The bath plug required us to clean it because it was black. Then to top our experience off, we were charged $10 room service for a glass of milk for our 2yo daughter. And even the glass of milk was spilled on the tray as it was delivered (apparently due to the trolley wheel being caught in the lift track). Zero care shown and top dollar paid to a greedy operator.

"Lacking +++"
silvialJ4283YZ, 15 Octobre 2022

The deluxe kingroom is deluxe due to a king size bed , no bath tub , no bench for language , basic interior. The Ocean view is at best a glimpse on the horizon, the actual view was to the office works car park .Incorrect advertisement of „soundproof rooms , it's in fact very noisy , due to banging doors through the night and kids in the pool as from 7am . The pool is in the lobby area but no bathrobes provided , coffee making facilities in room but no teaspoons provided . No luggage assistance and trolley was defect … overall lacking …. OK if you need a bed for the night but would not recommend for a vacation. When I voiced my concerns , I was told that the cappuccino at breakfast would not be charged .

"Great location and value"

First time staying in Bunbury. Hotel was situated with everything you need nearby. Free parking was definitely a big plus for us. Only improvement that I would have liked was having curtains that blocked out more light in the morning

"Great spot to stay"
j0hnpalmer2, 03 Octobre 2022

Seamless check in & out. Friendly & helpful staff. Good amenities - with a great selection on the in-house restaurant (& room service). Well located in the centre of town & with great ocean views. ...

"Dinner with friends"
Jaylee59, 23 Septembre 2022

Not a great experience. Lemon, lime and bitters not available in a pint. Kilkenny was from a can, not on tap. Ribs ordered with mash but came with chips. Also smothered with a strong bbq sauce. Salmon was way over cooked, bland and dry Chicken parmi was dry and tasteless. We were told half way through that a private function would limit our bar order - no cocktails or mixed drinks (luckily we wanted beers or wines)

"STAY AT THE LORD FORREST BUNBURY"
N6670SUtim, 20 Septembre 2022

My booking was handled online with no fuss. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The housekeeping staff were great and the waiter I had at breakfast was pleasant and attentive. They do need better car parking facilities, but other than that, it was a great stay and a nice hotel.

"Broken shower and no customer service"
suzeY7302IN, 13 Septembre 2022

I stayed at this hotel for one night. In the morning, I planned to take a shower but the water barely came out of the shower head when I turned the divertor. I changed and went downstairs. Upon checking out, I explained the situation to the woman at the front desk. She made a note of it, she said she was sorry and that was it. I then asked to speak to a manager. She came back to tell me the manager was on a conference call and would call me back. No response. Obviously, I won't be staying here again.

"Excellent dining experience"
victoriagoodin, 31 Août 2022

It's a little dated but, service, cleanliness, dining experience and friendly staff make this a wonderful experience. We enjoy in room spa, room are spacious and have a balcony, our looking over the city and harbour which was spectacular to watch the sun come up over the water

"LOVE the Lord Forrest!"
SVKaz, 28 Août 2022

I always love staying at the Lord Forrest hotel. this time it was for a half marathon I was attending the next day, the second time I have done this, Check in was easy, and my room was ready early which was a bonus. I was worried that I will not make it back in time for check out as I take a long time to complete my run. I was offered a late check out with the opportunity to increas this time at a minimal fee per hour which I gladly took adventage of and it was worth every cent!

"Nice Hotel, Delicious Breakfast"
Tania L, 24 Août 2022

Nice enough hotel with clean facilities. Enjoyed a delicious buffet breakfast, priced reasonably well. Location is amazing and close to our event. Bed was a little hard but overall enjoyed my stay with my family.

"Met expectations, would stay again"
georgieandthree, 23 Août 2022

I had a queen/twin room on the first floor. Check in was quick and friendly, but I wasn't really given any information about the hotel (opening hours of restaurant, where the gym/laundry room were, room service menu etc). The hotel is a product of its time but has mostly been updated pretty well. The pool was lovely and well-maintained. Beds were comfy. It doesn't quite have a kitchenette but the kettle and toaster with a separate little sink plus basic cutlery/bowls really came in handy. Access from the street/carpark would be tricky if you have mobility issues. There is a ramp at the street entrance but it's narrow with tight corners and wouldn't meet current DDA standards. Location is ideal, right next to town.

"Room service was fantastic, food was great. Any issues were dealt with straight away."
mollenhofamanda1969, 13 Août 2022

Location is in a prime spot. Food was made perfectly for us & room service was excellent & we had it everyday 3 times a day lol. It's beautiful & calm down at the pool area. If there was any issues, they were dealt with straight away

"Best of the West for sure"
Janelle H, 12 Août 2022

Beautifully appointed lounge areas and delightful little dining area with a delicious menu. Staff were friendly, efficient and attentive. Rooms were clean and fresh with balconies overlooking the ocean. Very handy only 5 mins walk from bus station and excellent taxi service to train station. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will go back.

"Clean, fresh, lovely warm pool"
SamandCarlo, 02 Août 2022

Newly renovated rooms with beautiful decor, clean and large suites. Good shower pressure and heat. The pool was lovely and large and warm, we all enjoyed it, free use of pool towels too was a bonus. Very close to shops, restaurants, entertainment centre etc. Would definitely stay again.

"Topfloor suites have excellent views"
Aaron M, 03 Juillet 2022

Stayed with 2 kids in 2 bedroom suites on top floor with excellent views of the beach and surrounds. Although in summer the rooms heat up quite alot, the inroom airconditioners are pretty useless as they claim they are hooked up to some central heating or cooling unit depending on the time of year. Rooms are quiet even though the pool area can get noisy, pool area is great too and heated. This place is close to the main city strip.

"Highly recommended"
bushyca6969, 25 Juin 2022

Beautiful lean rooms great reception staff,y 2bedroom apartment was beautiful clean and exactly what I had.hopes for. I was greeted by a very pleasant and helpful attendant and was made feel very welcome.

"Rooms need a revamp"
paulie316, 19 Juin 2022

Not the usual standard I expect from this chain. Carpets are well overdue of replacement, stains on the wall and rain leaking through the windows during recent rains. This was brought to management attention and towels were provided to assist with the rain. The hotel looks very understaffed at breakfast. The chef looked very busy as did the staff trying to make coffees, serve customers and clean. The buffet selection was pretty limited considering the price.

"Weekend away"
Robyn667, 15 Juin 2022

Had a weekend away with my 3 grandchildren, room was large and facilities met our requirements. Beds very comfortable. Overall service was excellent. Would recommend a stay here and we will be back. Kids loved the pool.

"Lord forrest bunbury"
hayleemorris85, 31 Mai 2022

Lovely staff, great location walking distance to the beach and shopping and cafe's, clean and neat rooms and the beds and pillows were actually so comfortable. The pool is clean and it looks so odd being in the middle of the hotel but when you get in it's actually quiet private. Would highly recommend staying hear ❤

"What we expected - A nice stay"
djwalker01, 23 Mai 2022

Served us well for a weekend visit to the Bunbury region. Warm indoor pool which the kids loved. Walking distance to everything. Staff pleasant, room clean and in good condition. The heated tiles were a nice touch. We stayed in a family room. Reasonable price. Of the same vintage as other hotels we've previously stayed at, Observation City Scarborough, Atrium Mandurah, etc. So a little dated but not to be picky. I'm sure the place would have seen busier times in it's heyday. Worth it and would consider staying again with family.

"Happy guest"
wtreby, 30 Avril 2022

From the reception booking in to the exceptional bright and clean room and beautiful ambience of the breakfast facility every thing was excellent. Would definitely recommend this hotel, and will certainly look forward to heading back there again.

"It's been a while …"
peejayldn, 21 Avril 2022

It is many years since I last stayed here. The hotel has weathered well and the staff are delightful. Slept well, comfortable bed. Everything good. The room was well appointed and provided all I needed at the end of a hard day playing golf.

"Requires better bang for buck."
jonoh521, 21 Avril 2022

$738 for 3 nights and didn't include breakfast. Why bother going now Bali is open again? It needs a major clean up and change of floor coverings and furniture. Also requires better access from underground parking space.

"travelers"
WALKOM, 12 Avril 2022

We were not over the moon with the Lodge. Our room was clean and adequate for a couple of nights if you just needed a bed for the night. The proprietor was helpful and considerate as unfortunately I became ill an had to be transported to hospital. They could not do enough for my comfort.

"Just don't"
moskimmm, 09 Avril 2022

I've stayed at a lot of hotels and very few of them would I ever say so strongly, just don't bother. The room itself is ok, tired but you expect that with a hotel this old. No, the issue is the noise. We are on the fifth floor and the hotel management thinks it's appropriate to play music at a volume that makes it impossible to sleep, rest or do anything even remotely relaxing. It starts at 7.00 in the morning and continues past 10.00 at night. As a special torture, this afternoon they have a children's birthday party in their pool (which is in the lobby) and have cranked up the music even louder. If you are looking for a quiet or relaxing time, do not book this hotel.

"Under staffed"
dangee711, 04 Avril 2022

There was not enough staff both mornings we were at the hotel. The waitress on Sunday morning did not give us our food or drinks for 30 minutes. The waitress told me twice that she felt like quitting and even delivered the wrong food to our table and came back after 3-5 minutes only to give the food placed at our table to another guest.

"Lord Forrest Hotel"
blueysbackyards, 08 Mars 2022

Clean rooms, friendly staff, yummy deserts from the resteraunt. No room service due to covid apparently, which, over a 3 night stay, is not good enough. At least tell people before they book, that you won't be providing room service. And reduce your tariff accordingly.

"Good location and enjoyable"
525rickk, 08 Mars 2022

The hotel is a little old now, but still a good place to stay. The staff were very nice and was clean when we arrived. A little disappointed that rooms weren't cleaned or beds made during 3 day stay, due to covid. For $285 a night I'd expect room service for cleaning and making of beds. They did bring fresh towels and toiletries as requested which had that going for it

"Beware of major renovation noise and staff who don't think this is a problem"
Greenward, 02 Mars 2022

Arrived at 2.30, hammer drill started in nearby room. No one answering reception. Walked down and were assured they were almost finished. Went out to avoid noise. Returned at 3.30ish, hammer drill started again - repeat above but this time dismissively told they would ring when they found out what the issue was (but didn't). Quiet until 4.30 and then intermittent hammer drill until 5.15 ish. Still not answering reception phone and abruptly dismissed at reception saying they would move us to a different room if it was going to continue long (but not even bothering to ask which room we were in before serving new arrivals). Room clean and quiet overnight, but room uninhabitable from 2.30-5.30 pm and an attitude of ‘not my problem' from staff

"Don't waste your money.....too expensive for what you get"
DaveNCol, 25 Février 2022

First thing was someone was parked in the entry right on check in so people were parked on the road waiting to get in Thought the room was amazing until I seen the bathroom, bench hadn't been cleaned, water pressure in shower terrible & took over 5 minutes to get hot water They supply 2 of everything in the kitchen with a 4 seater dining suite so if your friends want to come for coffee, tell them to bring a cup! The noise in the room at night was terrible, tried to call reception on my own phone because had no idea how to use there phone, no instructions or info, left 2 messages, no response so seen reception in the morning only to be told they don't receive voice messages! Car was sprayed with a can of energy in the car park, .ca r parks are small & doesn't help when someone parks in the wrong spot in the way What was suppose to be a nice relaxing weekend away, can't wait to go home

"Great Value, great location!"
E5950PG, 06 Février 2022

Delighted with our stay here over the weekend. There is an indoor pool that is slightly heated. Just a lovely getaway. Rooms were clean and staff was friend and helpful. Great for a family stay. We stayed with another family who recommended the accommodation and have no regrets.

"Great location"
teganransted, 31 Janvier 2022

The location of this hotel along with the room configuration options are the positives of this hotel. Staff are not helpful, we reported that we had other guests enter our room and there was no action by the staff not even an apology. The restaurant had great food but even as the only customers at the time and available staff the service was terrible (we had to source cutlery from other tables and were asked to pay the bill before all had finished eating) There is a pool but with the depth ranging from 1.2-1.7m deep its not great for families. The room was very clean and was a great size and the location allowed to walk most places.

"Living off it's name, it was probably great once"
limeclaw, 17 Janvier 2022

The hotel is centrally located and walking distance to the cappuccino strip and the beach. Plenty of on-site free parking. The hotel had an indoor pool, pool table and restaurant as well as the slowest elevators in the world. We had the refurbished standard room, which was a decent size, with a comfortable bed, nice linen and pillows. The room was well appointed with a room safe, iron/ironing board, enough space to hang your clothes up. The room had a sink, kettle, toaster, mugs, two plates, knives and teaspoons – go you could prepare yourself a continental breakfast. Small fridge/mini bar. Two comfortable chairs and a writing desk. Bathroom was well lit but not very well ventilated. Good water pressure, nice fluffy towels and a decent wattage hair drier. The ‘block out' curtains were probably block out thirty years ago, but over the years the backing of the curtains has perished and the sun shines through the curtains waking you up as soon as the sun comes up – they are no longer blocking out the sun – the hotels needs to invest in some new curtains. You are unable to control your air conditioner temperature. Even though the room was refurbished, the room contained the 30 year old air conditioner which is controlled from a central area in the hotel and not in your room. Your room has an air conditioner switch which lets you select “low, medium, high” or turn to turn the unit on or off – that is it. If you are paying premium for a room, you should be able to control your own air conditioning. So even though the rooms are refurbished and freshened up there are area's that should have been upgraded for guest comfort – but were not. The check-in and service at Reception is very slow. The cleaners do a good job of cleaning the rooms but maintenance lets the hotel down.

"Food average, nice staff, poor soft drink selection"
absnow, 09 Décembre 2021

Went here for their lunch special, fish was good salad average, chips were under cooked and cold as was everyone else's at at table. We wanted a diet soft drink, the only thing available was sugar free Coke, nothing else available. We drank water. I thought it very average for a hotel that passes itself of as one of Bunbury's best. But it is in keeping with the Lord Forrest, from the day built it has failed to impress

"To much to write"
traceydixon1970, 29 Novembre 2021

To much chlorine in the pool sent peoples hair green. Meal took 1.15 hour to arrive even then it was not edible. Man on reception laughed at my daughters green hair when I showed him a picture of her hair

"Friendly and helpful staff"
davehendry2021, 24 Novembre 2021

Friendly and helpful staff They were helpful when I needed some food of my own heating up There was no noise in the Hotel at night Parking was easy accessible Not much more to say, it was a good comfortable night. Thankyou

"Tries hard"
451admin, 13 Novembre 2021

An overnight stay for business and limited accommodation in Bunbury resulted in first stay at this hotel. Staff were friendly and the room had recently been refurbed so for an old hotel it was pretty good. BUT the after hours access was difficult and poorly signed, even through it was spring it is the coldest wettest spring on record and the hotel has changed the ducted air-conditioning from heating to cooling... this is though-out the whole hotel with no ability to regulate the temperature in each room. Consequently we had a cold night, no additional blankets in the room and a gauge where we could only make the room cooler. Quite bizarre. Additionally the internal room temperature was slightly warmer than the large atrium area outside and there was a gap between the door and door frame which allowed the outside air to rush in to the room all night creating a loud whooshing/whistling noise.

"Florence"
buegge7, 13 Novembre 2021

A pleasant stay for a birthday celebration. The function room was a lovely elegant space with unfilled atrium. The food was excellent, and the waiter and reception staff were lovely - friendly, helpful and pleasant, The hotel is still managing to provide a good experience despite the difficulties imposed by harsh and unrealistic government covid measures. I would stay there again.

"Great central location"
sam344110, 07 Novembre 2021

Fantastic and affordable getaway. The rooms are clean with the home away from home feeling. Room service was convenient and offered large serves at a good price. Restaurant was modern is in a tranquil setting for a evening meal.

"Weird layout, noisy"
shelley2304, 05 Novembre 2021

Room was adequate - bed clean and comfortable and the bathroom functional with some toiletries. Weird laundry sink in the main room. Mug for tea was dirty. Extremely noisy layout with the rooms around the central atrium. Lots of noise from the streets outside too (drunks and vehicles).

"Magical stay. Didn't want to leave"
961shannonh, 03 Octobre 2021

After reading the bad reviews we decided to still book for our group of friends to celebrate our elopement and Oh my we loved the apartment rooms and had no issues at all. -comfortable bed -amazing spa -big open areas -great views anywhere on the 5th floor Restaurant -great food -great prices -staff very friendly Bar -pricing wasn't bad -definitely ask for a Long Island ice tea Pool -Perfect tempture -nice and deep We are already planning to one back, definitely recommend staying here. Yes it's old and slowly being renovated it is still a nice hotel!

"I would not recommend anyone to stay here"
vickinchris, 28 Septembre 2021

We stayed one night and would not recommend this hotel as a place to stay. Our room was one of the “ newly refurbished rooms” and while there was new paint on the walls this did not deter the cockroaches. Multiple cockroaches on the bed and in the kitchen. I even woke at 2am to feed my son and there was one on my arm. We paid $10 extra for a microwave and the turntable inside was too big for the microwave and therefore did not move around when on. I went to open the freezer door Inside the fridge and it was a make shift job that just fell off. There was a weird big pinkish stain on the carpet. I told the lady on the reception there were cockroaches in the room and her response was “ oh ok” I repeated it thinking she didn't hear me and again she said “ ok” I then let her know they were in the beds and her response was “ right” I couldn't believe it.

"Weekend Getaway"
pipcastel, 28 Septembre 2021

Akin to staying in a soul-less crypt. Lobby dimly lit with tired and shabby furnishings. Indifferent (reception) customer service. For instance, no eye contact, no greetings, as guests came and went. A single elevator operating, and no option to take stairs for those of us who detest elevators. No offer of assistance to help with luggage. Car park dungeon dark.

"Cockroach hell"
188nickieb, 12 Septembre 2021

We booked a room for 5 people and only got 2 towels provided. No glassware, 2 knives and 3 cups were in the kitchen. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom- we counted 9 in total. The pillows were old and torn, and the bed linen was stained. The telephone didn't work and no replacement was provided. Overall a very poor experience- given the price of the room.

"A central location in Bunbury"
gwford, 24 Août 2021

The Lord Forrest is showing its age. Whilst we could see that some effort has gone into renovating the internals and refitting the rooms, it is nevertheless old. This is a pity as the city needs good quality accommodation centrally located.

"Extremely impressed"
j0die71, 16 Août 2021

We spent 2 nights at the LFH and loved everything about it. The room was immaculate, the facilities the hotel offered was incredible, the indoor heated pool/spa was beautiful. Located in Bunbury central everything was in walking distant. After recently staying at the Crown Promenade and leaving very disappointed we can not fault this hotel. Definitely recommend

"Celebrating Birthdays"
K7900DWpaulal, 08 Août 2021

My husband and I celebrated our joint 50th birthdays at Zebu Bar and Kitchen. The staff were very accommodating and the food was delicious. The rib platter was our favourite. Drinks were tasty. They were very busy and at times the drink service was a little slow but we were having such a good time, it didn't matter. I liked how we could blue tooth and play our own music.

"Nice time in Bunbury"
Anna_Teti95, 15 Juillet 2021

The hotel was nice to stay in, the executive suites are large and amazing, totally worth the extra paid for them. Just wished the two rooms I booked were closer together, made it hard to just pop over to see the others in the other room. Otherwise great service.

"Was ok"
kimmyrossi89, 15 Juillet 2021

Kids loved the pool. Food was average, ordered pasta was smothered in parmesan and warm not hot, same with the garlic bread. Nuggets were way over cooked. Internet was very slow or didn't work at all. Doors didn't close properly so kept banging all night. A bigger or seperate lounge would have been nice, also breakfast included should be an option considering i payed $600 for 2 nights.

"Smelly, mouldy and noisy"
716kylie, 12 Juillet 2021

Had a room outside the taxi rank on a Saturday night, that was fun to try to sleep with. Mould behind soap holder and on grout. Lovely stank of chlorine as you enter the hotel, all the hanging plants have died it used to be lovely. All 3 of us had stinging eyes after showers, not sure what's in the water. Waited ages to get checked in. Noise from guests in the pool/restaurant runs right into your room and the smell of cigarettes is intense. Never again this place has aged worse than me!

"Highly recommended"
JAIMETGRANT, 07 Juillet 2021

Throughly enjoyed our stay with our baby. Being winter, having an indoor heated pool was awesome for us. Our spa bath suite was very spacious and relaxing and centrally located to town. Free parking and free laundry facilities we're gratefully appreciated as we have been on the road for a while. Highly recommend and will return.

"If you are mobility impaired or hate and want to use the pool or hate being hot don't bother"
hollysE1749JB, 07 Juillet 2021

We booked to stay here as it had an indoor pool so we thought we would treat ourselves. I am in a wheelchair and can cope with 2-3 stairs so we thought we would be fine. When we got here we found the room to be boiling hot. You can't set your room temperature as it is a central system so in winter months it's set to roast and in summer you can get aircon. There is nothing for those that cannot thermoregulate. I don't know about anyone else but if I am going to spend around $600 for two nights I would like to have control over the temperature in our room. Then we went to the pool only to find that to access it you had to go down stairs just to get to the pool side. There was no accessibility for people that cannot handle the 4 or so stairs to get down to the pool area and then the 3-4 meters to the actual pool plus the 3 steps into the pool. I didn't expect a ramp into the pool but I thought in the era of inclusiveness that we could get to the pool side before I had to spend the good 5 minutes trying to get into the pool…but no I was faced with a bunch of stairs and a walk to the poolside before even getting in. When we told management our reason for coming was the pool but because I could not get into it we wanted to leave (and that they should note on the website that their pool is not overly inclusive) we were told we could go to the sporting complex down the road. Thankfully they refunded us but I will never return there because it is not worth it for the price.

"Clean and Comfy"
linda t, 23 Juin 2021

I highly recommend a stay at Hotel Lord Forrest. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and yet they don't stink of cleaning products or air fresheners, which I hate because I have chemical sensitivities. The beds are also super comfy and showers have good water pressure.

"Weekend in Bunbury"
phillipsandon, 29 Mai 2021

Staff were excellent and helpful, rooms very neat and tidy. Great views of the ocean although the weather was a little cold and rainy made it a great week end. Room service was also very efficient. Only fault I could find was that the TV didn't work well with the antenna when it rained heavily and the wireless internet was very slow or cut out frequently. Disabled parking is also a slight problem as people without disabilities tend to park in the only two bays available with one who did have an acrod card was plain ingnorant by taking up both bays.

"Over priced"
andrewd0bs0n, 23 Mai 2021

Expensive and not up to scratch. I think another hotel trying to make the most out of restricted travel due to covid 19. Prices are up but service is not. Air conditioning in room did not work, no mini bar in a mid level room and no intrest when they found i had paid through a third party.

"Excelent weekend at The Lord Forrest hotel"
AdinaP407, 18 Mai 2021

We stayed at The Lord Forrest Hotel for the weekend and had a very good time. Excelent customer service , great location and a beautiful view from the 5-th floor were we been. I will recommend it to all my friends.

"Could be better..."
Mel13061973, 01 Mai 2021

Nice and new inside, recently renovated. One person spa comfortable. Large king sized Bed overly firm I struggled to sleep on it. Very noisy building with fan In the roof making a wiring noise all night. Hooning cars and yelling outside at night kept me awake. Restaurant serving tasty food and prompt service. No coffee machine and lacking decent coffee and tea. (It's best to use dilmah tea leaves and include tea cups, NOT mugs for tea!) The view over Bunbury was great and easy walking distance to cafe's etc.

"Our recent two day stay"
Feqwa, 17 Avril 2021

Very clean & comfortable with lovely staff. Thank you for our free upgraded to a king room. Their high tea we attend for a birthday was also great! Short walk to a large variety of good cafe's, restaurants, shops & beach. Would definitely return.

"Bad bad service "
TinaB2202, 14 Avril 2021

They didn't bother to clean room just dumped towels in and left though other people we were staying with got there room cleaned . When I rang to see why I didn't get an apology just they have gone for the day . Extremely bad service . Why leave a room undone and just leave towels ? Disgusting!!!! On arrival and when I rang reception the service has been disgusting . There are ants in the room . No doonas on the bed just blankets. Won't be back

"Nice stay"
388mira, 09 Avril 2021

It was nice short holiday stay in this hotel. We were in superior king room with nice view at ocean. Room was good clean with big bad and very good shower. It was small kitchen as well. Swimming pool is with warm water no so big but we were using when it was no so many guest in. Hotel is close to shops and restaurant .We will come again.

"Don't bother...old rooms and poor reception service"
279beanp, 07 Avril 2021

Check in was lacklustre..no smile please or thankyou from the disposable gloves wearing Jadde (whats with the gloves nobody else was wearing them?) Never got a reply to my emails prior to staying Both rooms were stiflingly hot and humid, central aircon meant we were unable to adjust it, rooms copped the afternoon sun which made it worse. Sheets had small rips in them. Sliding door screen to balcony was basically jammed. Taps in bath/shower seemed dodgy, had to turn for ages to get any cold water so water was either scalding or no pressure. Ceiling was very low so my tall husbands head hit the ceiling. Room was spotlessly clean though, and the other staff were all very pleasant. Didn't appreciate being woken from my sleep by a phone call enquiring if we wanted to make a dinner reservation..thanks for waking the baby too.

"Very enjoyable stay"
jennifereQ4642MH, 28 Mars 2021

We had a great weekend stay at the Lord Forrest Bunbury. We went away to have a relaxing weekend stay and from the point ofbooking in to easy check out our experience was great. Front desk staff were courteous and efficient. Rooms were spacious and well fitted out. Bathroom was obviously recently refurbished, and very modern and sleek. Location was very convenient to walk into the main street of Bunbury for shops or eateries. Although hotel also had restaurants catering for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you required. Overall i would recommend the Lord Forrest Bunbury and i would definitely stay there again.

"Inferior superior..."
kazandgirls, 27 Mars 2021

We simply did not get what we paid for. Misleading 'superior' description that failed badly and no interest at front desk to rectify nor offer compensation by way of complementary drinks or meals or mini bar or upgrade on 2nd or 3rd night etc... The only recovery from this substandard experience would be 25% discount or similar on what we had actually booked/reserved.

"Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!"
mandymanning2021, 16 Mars 2021

We stayed on a Sunday night for our Wedding Anniversary. Everything was perfect, we spent the day sightseeing & at the beach. The room was so spacious and view was stunning. We had a very relaxing day a way from the kids. Thank you!

"Wish I had taken my swimsuit ...."
Dianne R, 15 Mars 2021

What a gorgeous hotel. Love the entry and looking down on the pool as we walked to the lift to go up to our room made me sorry that for the first time when travelling I had not packed my bathers. Our room was lovely & clean, lovely big kingsize bed, kettle, toaster, fridge, cups, plates, glasses, cutlery, TV, table & chairs, settee and seating on the balcony to sit in the fresh air. Bathroom was lovely and Shower was great. Our only issue was parking; great if you can get into one up the ramp but with a nightclub just down the street and police pulling up rowdy people in the street, Hubby was loathe to park in the underground area even though there were plenty of spaces free so we parked in the street out the front of the hotel with no problems. We did not have occasion to use the restaurant on this occasion but will certainly do so on our next visit.

"Bunbury- Best Western"
yorkytyke2, 26 Février 2021

Bunbury is a surprising little town, quaint in a lot of ways, with interesting buildings all around, it is also situated on the coast which has excellent beaches. The hotel I stayed in, the 'Lord Forrest' [Best Western Group] is a very good hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Very good restaurant serving good quality food at average prices. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel used to be a tired hotel living in the 80s , They have made so many changes all for the better . The quality of the rooms is very good now after being renovated. the location has always been great walk out the door and you are in the centre of bunbury and walk 200mtrs down the road and your on the coast .

I would say to go with no high expectations and you will enjoy your stay. Minus a few issues our room had I would say the place is clean, very compfy beds and has good basic amenities for a room. Fridge was a decent size (very outdated but spacious and working well) A good last minute place but nothing at all fancy. I thought the price was ok for the time period we booked in, although upon staying I think we paid too much for our room experience ( I think it would just be our room so I won't judge on the Whole place this time as I believe I will give Benefit of the doubt lol) Great for a short stay or last minute though Excellent location, easy free parking, lovely reception staff. House keeping need to be more vigilant I will say. And the paid for boiling hot flat whites we ordered the first morning to take away that we had to thrown away was disappointing, so we didn't bother to try the food on site or room service the entire stay. Instead we ate every meal or drink elsewhere all week.

"Great hotel & location "
Jacqstar_11, 05 Janvier 2021

We haven't stayed here for several years but enjoyed its refurbished rooms and look. Service was friendly, prompt and professional and pricing good. We loved Scott's bar for a pre & post night drink, and we're thankful we could sit in the atrium with our drinks while others enjoyed their Christmas party in the bar.

"Definitely not a 4 star establishment, such a shame that with amazing restaurants that Bunbury has such poor hotels!"
Renee B, 03 Janvier 2021

Such a shame that with amazing fine dining options that Bunbury has such poor hotel accommodation options. Advertised as a 4 star hotel when in reality it is at best a 3 star hotel. The internet was down for our entire stay and there were no staff on duty most of the time!

"Average"
Dave B, 30 Décembre 2020

Pros: The service was professional and friendly. The room was spacious. The spa bath was excellent. Cons: The windows rattled all night in the wind, waking me often. The internet dropped out often, spoiling movie watching.

"Licky's Break"
raymondo12020, 23 Décembre 2020

Wonderful experience in a lovely Hotel which is closely surrounded by quality Restaurants as well as having their own wonderful In-house Restaurant and Bar (Unwind) Great views, very relaxing ambience, extremely efficient and happy Staff whom are all Guest focussed. I have stayed here at the Forrest many times and will continue to do so. The ambience one feels whilst in the Atrium area of the Hotel is always very relaxing indeed. For the ones who like to Swim the Pool area looks very nice as well even though I don't use it.

"A Bit of Class in Bunbury"
Patricia C, 20 Décembre 2020

We visited the Hotel two weeks earlier for a drink in the Lounge Bar and were impressed so decided to come back and stay for my birthday. The only disappointment was the Longe Bar closed on a Sunday night. The rooms on the upper floors have been refurbished and were very nice. The Restaurant serves superb meals and has a good wine list. Very close to Cafes and shops.

"friendly, clean hotel"
Steph O, 01 Décembre 2020

Nice, quick, friendly check in/out. Our 1 bed apartment was on the top floor (5th) with a sea and partial town view. Beautifully furnish apartment with kitchen, lounge, separate bedroom and huge bathroom with a spa, oh, the toilet was separate. The balcony was huge! The indoor heated pool was a blessing on tired legs! Great location, close to a lot of shops and restaurant. For an older hotel, it remains extremely presentable.

"Well positioned accommodation"
desp737, 28 Novembre 2020

Have used the Lord Forrest a number of time, centrally located and well appointed. Great rooms and facilities for pleasant stay. Reasonable dining on site though plenty of options within easy walking distance.

"Beautifuly Refurbished"
pixiewa3, 25 Novembre 2020

4 of us girls stayed in a Queen suite. We had a lovely room with a balcony looking towards the ocean which we had glimpses of. Linen was clean and fresh and the whole room was gr8. Modern, ambient and loads of room. Will definitely go back highly recommend the place. Location is gr8 also.

"Rude service from start to finish"
tammy10102020, 30 Octobre 2020

Rude service From start to finish and no manager present at anytime. Worst of all no one wanted to address it. Dirty room and cooling system not working at all. Cutlery dirty in the draw and surrounding bath trim had a build up of grime on it

"Never again"
mattieg943, 28 Octobre 2020

I wish to tell you about the disastrous two night stay at the above hotel. My daughter booked a twin room for us and expected a comfortable room. Unfortunately we were allocated the room beside the entire hotel air conditioning system. There was no option for change. After an entirely sleepless night - I seriously thought about taking my blanket out to the corridor as it was quiet there - I went down to reception to ask for a change of room for the second night. I had to wait for more than ten minutes for someone to appear. A cleaner told me to stand there as I could be seen from the office! The second room was quieter but one light did not work so it was very gloomy and extremely cold. The picture was upside down. On leaving we tried waiting at reception to ask for a receipt. The money had been taken from my daughter's credit card but no receipt sent. We gave up hoping for attention. Is this what we should expect from all Best Western properties? We will certainly never willingly return to this one. Mattie/Lissa Grant This is a copy of an email which I sent to customer service at best western. It was non deliverable - no such address.

"Great Weekend"
AnnieMei, 18 Octobre 2020

Arrived after lunch on Saturday, checked in, all very smooth. Room was lovely. So we decided to book for dinner in the hotel. The staff were friendly, helpful and very fast. The dining area was noisy.

"Great happy stay"
delighted276, 12 Octobre 2020

Great central location. Room was spacious for a hotel room, and the bathroom was brand-new. Lovely kitchenette was very convenient. Would have liked to have breakfast included. Didn't eat in hotel so can't comment. Will be back next year.

"good location, terrible staff"
azq001, 26 Septembre 2020

the lord forrest is right in the middle of downtown bunbury. everything is within walking distance. rooms are fine - if a little bit dated and basic. free wifi works well. reception staff are very poor. rude service. i will look for alternative hotels next time i am in town.

"Great stay"
Old_Gypsies, 10 Août 2020

Well located, great staff and absolutely spotless room/bathroom. Worth your while staying here if visiting Bunbury ... close to main road and pleasant walks along the foreshore and beach. Parking can be a little restricted so ask about the undercover facilitie.

"Will not stay again"
amyanneo, 08 Août 2020

Booked the Spa Suite at $235 per night. The room has clearly been renovated recently except the bathroom. We booked this particular room based on photos on the website that Show newly renovated bathrooms with showers with shower screens and spa baths. Our bathroom was extremely dated (80s pink tiles) the spa bath was old and not very clean and the shower had a disgusting shower curtain. (I've seen showers on mine sites better than this). It's a shame as the rest of the room is quite nice. When I phoned reception to ask to move even if that was to downgrade they said no. With no manager to speak to until the morning. Absolutely disgusting service and will not be recommending. Reception staff were extremely rude!

"Good Hotel"
MichaelD835, 01 Août 2020

1 Night stay. Check in and out easy. Room clean. Staff polite and helpful. Shower got very slippery which was a bit of a problem for my wife who has a few mobility issues, and ther was no plug for the hand basin which made shaving difficult. Otherwise ok. No real Info in the room but the receptionist gave us a room service menu, which unfortunately had no drinks included.

"Room/information quality"
tiffstar2020, 27 Juillet 2020

Rooms clean and tidy but no restaurant menu in the room for room service. No information in the room about pool times. Hated that we couldn't go clubbing as there was restrictions on getting back into the hotel after curtain times, there for we ended up just staying at the hotel and didn't go to town like we had originally planned and was the reason we were staying there in the first place

"Fantastic family orientated hotel."
56chevi, 22 Juillet 2020

My family and I spent 2 nights during the school holidays . Our room was very comfortable and clean. The restaurant was fantastic the atmosphere was very calm and relaxing the food was just absolutley delish.friendly staff all round a amazing stay

"Last minute overnighter"
195lynseym, 17 Juillet 2020

Thoroughly satisfied with our stay in Bunbury, from booking by phone, earlier check in and express checkout. We didn't have time to try the pool, bar or restaurant but will on our return. Staff were efficient and courteous.

"Perfect location"
Sexi_lexi_84, 13 Juillet 2020

The hotel is wonderful for families as it is close to restaurants, cafes, entertainment and shopping. The hotel itself is clean, with a heated indoor swimming pool. The rooms are good and tidy with minor leaks.

"A few unfortunate things"
358becw, 12 Juillet 2020

The renovations are nice, room are a lot more "up to date". The indoor pool was great for my daughter. Unfortunately the shower is the worst I've ever experienced, no pressure at all, and took a really long time to heat up. The worst bit was the noise from the air-conditioning. After 2 hours in the room I had a shocking headache from the noise. A constant whining sound of the air going through the door, when I rang the front desk about it, they said all the rooms had the same issue. I will not be staying here again, Bunbury has a lot more to offer....

"Avoid like the plague"
LILIMONSTON, 10 Juillet 2020

The people on the front desk are unfriendly and rude. They do not answer the phone so if you need anything (like an extra blanket because the bedding is insufficient) you are required to email them and hope they respond. When asked where the gym was (that was clearly advertised on the website and has signage around the hotel) the staff took us to a storage room full of extra bedding and said this is the gym and then laughed (IM NOT EVEN JOKING). Requested an upgrade of room, as we no longer had 3 of us staying in the room and could have a single bed room with a spa. The man at the front desk advised "just don't use the other bed and sleep in the same one then it will feel like an upgrade". We asked if we could be moved to a room with a spa or a view, he then asked if we had touched anything in our room (we were checked in two hours before so said yes) he said well no upgrade for you. Our room was main street facing so were woken at 4am by fighting and swearing. The room windows were filthy and the dust in the room was so bad we had to go and find antihistamines to stop the allergies. Will never return to this hotel in Bunbury again.

"Great hotel"
TravNcinda, 04 Juillet 2020

Great hotel. Older but very clean and the lobby is amazing. Sadly the pool was shut but other than that was a good stay. Staff were nice and the location next to alot of pubs and restaurants was great.

"June Bunbury Trip"
jeffanderson2020, 21 Juin 2020

Rooms were nice but noise thru main door excessive and street lighting intense. Partially shut off by curtains. Windy night so may have contributed to noise. Overall furnishing external drab and need a lift plus maybe background music or live event/piano etc. Very few people inside the hotel eating and drinking maybe because close to more vibrant main street activities?

"A stay during phase 2 restrictions"
Dante G, 03 Juin 2020

This was my first stay at this hotel and was looking for an opportunity to get out of Perth with the recent opening of intrastate borders. Free hotel parking was at back of the hotel and entry to the hotel foyer through an automatic door from the carpark. The check-in process was straightforward and I was in my room in less than 10 minutes. My room was on the second floor with a balcony that had views of the city and inlet. It was very spacious as can be seen from the photo and the bed was very comfortable. There was even a kitchenette that had a well stocked minibar, a toaster and kettle. The bathroom was a good size and was very modern. I gave my shampoo, conditioner and shower gel an unnecessary trip as those were all provided. The TV only had free to air channels as the hotel had suspended their Foxtel subscription due to the Covid-19 downturn. Another casualtyof Covid-19 restrictions was the breakfast. A continental breakfast brought to each room the night before was the only option. Cafes that offered cooked breakfasts were within short walking distance. Dinner was served in the foyer restaurant and offered an excellent range of starters, mains and desserts. Express checkout was the only option with the room card placed in a container on the reception desk and the invoice e-mailed and charges made against the card provided on check-in. Overall a very enjoyable stay at this very centrally located hotel. I also found the staff very helpful and friendly.

"The best experience "
Z8348HDclaudiam, 03 Mai 2020

The best experience ever!! Lovely rooms, amazing food and great service!! I had the most delicious burger ever !!! If you have any plans to come down south, the hotel is a very good option though. They have all the facilities for you :))

"Updated nicely"
seawife, 19 Mars 2020

We didn't have a booking, but son was there six months ago and thought we'd get in. We did - probably only a dozen rooms occupied. Charming young Rachel on the front desk was friendly, efficient and took the trouble to make sure we had the kind of shower people in our age group prefer. The bathrooms have been beautifully done up and the whole hotel is much nicer than when we last stayed there in the early 2000s. The bar area is elegant now, too. One lift was out of order, but that was a small matter. Parking is easy and free. Breakfast is buffet and for $20 very good value. Three kinds of juice, good coffee, pastries, muffins, cereals - lovely Greek yoghurt with various toppings - and the hot selection was good, though could have been hotter. They didn't put much out, because not many people were breakfasting, but there was bacon, fried eggs, lovely mushrooms and excellent baked beans, plus grilled tomatoes and hash browns. And you always know you're at home in Oz when there's Vegemite in with the jams and marmalades! Good selection of sauces, too. Would stay again!

"Flash .... but a little ‘mehh'."
poida56, 01 Mars 2020

We got stuck with accomodation (our fault) and ended up having to take a night at the Lord Forrest. Firstly the staff, while not ‘unfriendly', were fairly standoffish - I could really strike up a conversation with anyone at all and it just felt like we were ‘in the way'.... we had been caught ‘in the middle of nowhere' but the staff appeared fairly ‘robotic' and this made the visit not pleasant (not UNPLEASANT just NOT pleasant) We had one of the bigger rooms and the layout was actually quite ‘crappy' with no place to put clothes in the bathroom and the mirrors in this room being built for someone a little shorter than me (at 5'10”). Nice and clean, nice and modern but just no heart.

"Good Service but don't order room service"
G5850KMgracea, 23 Février 2020

Staff were friendly and the hotel is a close walk to everywhere we wanted to go. We thought we would order room service for brekkie. Disappointed to get the smallest pancakes, runniest scrambled eggs and hot chocolate that tasted like warm milk. We got a discount but still disappointed we had to pay for it.

"Disappointing hotel"
megmickle1, 16 Février 2020

I'm sure this hotel was once in its prime but has definitely seen better days. Our room looked nothing like the photos, it felt like we were staying in a dingy motel but with premium hotel prices. The room was a decent size and seemed clean on entry but we quickly questioned that impression. The bathroom was so outdated, the shower water was yellow when we first turned the water on and amazed we could wash at with the shocking shower head, water going in all directions but down. The toilet needed to be flushed at least three times before clearing. The extra blanket in the cupboard had not been washed since who knows when, covered in dry flaky stains and hair. The check in staff were lovely (although when calling to advise we would be a late check in my calls went unanswered 4 times) Room service is also only during standard dining hours which we were disheartened to find at 9:30pm after being on the road for hours. Our room was not sound proof and would not recommend for corporate stays. We could hear everyone walking past. Excited to see it had a pool only to realize it is located in a chaotically laid out foyer. Free parking conveniently located and the proximity to restaurants great. This hotel desperately needs an overhaul to return to the reputation it once had. Chose not to shower on last day as deemed it more hygienic to wait until we arrived home.

"Disappointed"
reneeh196, 08 Février 2020

open Condom wrapper on floor next to bed, main TV didn't work, shower head and taps failing apart. Hotel and rooms looking very tired. Place had an atmosphere of a morgue. Mini bar non existent. All over major disappointment. But the Reception staff friendly .

"Happy Customer"
kathyburges, 04 Février 2020

I have stayed at this hotel a couple of times now and have found to be very clean, and comfortable and excellent price. The restaurant has a nice range of meals and enjoyed my dinner in the restaurant. Would highly recommend and would happily return here for my next visit

"oldie but a goodie"
stevewainwright, 03 Février 2020

Most times we go to Bunbury we stay at the Lord Forrest whilst it is probably sue for some sort of refurbishment it is still one of my favorite hotels in WA to stay at . I have been staying at this hotel since the nineteen nighties and we continue to enjoy the ambiance of the hotel . You can't ask for friendlier staff easier access to the town centre and f your lucky great views of the Indian Ocean at a fair and reasonable price

"David & Vicky"
Climber161692, 02 Février 2020

I would like to thank the staff at the Lord Forrest Hotel for an overall enjoyable experience. The staff where excellent, very pleasant, the service was excellent, the room was very comfortable, and i enjoyed their meals very much. I will most certainly be back.

"Nice but showing its age!"
dangee711, 29 Janvier 2020

My family has been staying at the Lord Forrest hotel in Bunbury over 30 years, the staff have always been wonderful and welcoming. The hotel is showing wear and tear and has had a facelift(paint job)but the overall condition ,i would say is well worn.

"Overnight Stay"
GoPlaces178408, 15 Janvier 2020

Excellent room and very friendly staff. Check in and out was very quick. The room was nicely decorated and clean. The facilities were great. Very child friendly. This was our second stay and we would definitely stay again.

"Central, Convenient and Comfortable"
Seaside42788983792, 13 Janvier 2020

In the heart of Downtown Bunbury nearby to most amenities, Theatre, Pubs, Restaurants etc. Good Value for Money. Rooms and amenities, Pool, Bars Restaurant etc. are very pleasant, team are very polite and obliging.

"In dire need of renovation"
RafalKS, 06 Janvier 2020

This place feels run-down and is in dire need of renovation. The elevator doors close so quickly they're hazardous; the rooms are pretty basic; the staff mostly just looked bored; the 'sea view' overlooks a parking lot and stationery store (with the sea there, yes, but in the distance).

"No service"
oldboys1966, 28 Décembre 2019

Utterly embarrassing lack of service Menu does not reflect the web page No staff , never going back , I should know better, having been before about 2 years ago, it has NOT improved... A resident was also having the same experience as me , he wanted a drink , I wanted some food Dreadful place with no service and no idea about service

"Jade the want to be drill Sargent needs to go"
RAHOLDI, 16 Décembre 2019

Jade made me and my guest feel very unwelcome. She did not address the urine smell in the bathroom ( not toilet bath bathroom) My friend ended up spending $30 on cleaning sprays and equipment to clean the bathroom smell. I felt very belittled by Jade laughing at me when I informed her of this horrible smell. The new decor in the rooms is nice. The food was lovely , just the service was slow, I think our drinks where forgotten about.

"Work trip"
Compass21253299522, 13 Décembre 2019

Clean hotel handy location feel safe in area good for business stay find meals expensive as there are some good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel needs to up the anti to compete with outside competition

"Did not know what to expect"
Mark B, 26 Novembre 2019

Stayed here for 1 night on way back to Perth at the end of a road trip we looked at the reviews and found the hotel really nice. Ate dinner in the restaurant it was nice the hotel seemed very quiet but the staff were helpful and friendly and the room really nice on the first floor had a terrible view but it was still nice to sit on the balcony. Would I stay here again yes I would.

"Old favourite "
JeffS758, 25 Novembre 2019

I stayed here monthly for almost 18 years, only changing for a few years as I needed a change. Last night I stayed again and found it very nice. The decor is wonderful in the lobby, although the rooms still seem to have the old timber and shower curtains. Room lighting has always been an issue here for me, as it relies on bed lamps and an over desk Fluoro rather than ceiling lights. Always immaculately clean and tidy. Value for money is ok, but I feel there's other places in town that have crept up on this hotel for value. Always a reliable hotel in a perfect location for the beach and cafe strip. Lose to many great restaurants as well.

"Lord Forrest Bubury"
phillipsandon, 06 Novembre 2019

Nice comfortable room, friendly staff and well laid out with nice restraint and pool. Location is excellent with lots of restraunts and cafe's with in walking distance. Breakfast was very good and the unwind bar has a nice ambience. We'll be back again.

"R&R"
aBaldisseri, 04 Novembre 2019

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Overall our experience was lovely. Staff were helpful, offered other services on arrival and were willing to assist with all our needs if needed. I highly recommend. Great facilities for children

"One night...good location"
RosemarieG917, 29 Octobre 2019

We only stayed here one night...the room was ordinary..and the room noisey from outside..... The bed was not the most comfortable bed. The shower was in the bath..and you wouldn't want to be tall with your head almost touching the ceiling. However the was Location ideal being near cafes restaurants etc.

"Customer service is Sh*t"
Leeanne F, 27 Octobre 2019

Customer service is also taking the initiative to help a customer that desperately needs a helping hand even if it means its not part of your job. I apologise for the long story ahead. But just desperately need to vent. We recently moved from Sydney, and after long hours of flying and driving, my twins were obviously jetlag. Screaming their lungs out, I was trying to check us in and soothe them at the same time. I asked for help of unloading my luggages. But reception advise they do not offer Valet services. But suggested I can park my car at the front and unload it myself, push trolley to room not mentioning a double pram. I left the twins inside unattended, as the recption walked to the kitchen and went outside to fetch the bags. Came back inside to no one at reception again, and not bloody giving me instructions of where the elevator is and how to get to the room. Arghhhh. I called out to one of the male workers, who pointed out the elevator to me. At this point I thought he would at least give me a hand. He noticed two screaming babies and a suitcase. But he pointed out the elevator and back to the kitchen. Arghhhhhh. Now Im left with no choice, but to leave the 4months old twins unattended, but have to go get our 5 luggages from the car. The room otherwise is decent and big enough. However their is no microwave so its not ideal with families with babies if you want to make bottles. You can hear banging from the room next door. So the sound proof is not so good. The location is close to shops and restaurants. Overall we were going to stay an extra night for the weekend. But after such poor service, we wont consider staying here ever again.

"Good Overnight Visit "
Adventurer790769, 10 Octobre 2019

Overnight stay for meeting. (Corporate) Check in efficient - perhaps a little too so, little personality. Great service at Breakfast but a bit pricy - as maybe you'd expect. Parking advertised - I couldn't find one but then again, parking in their check in area seemed no problem

"Great time and place"
Mac1874, 09 Octobre 2019

It was a long time ago but this place made our day! Great accommodations in a town that love people and make them feel at home. I would go back here in a minute and stay here again! Town is full of excitement and area is great to travel out from on day trips!

"Hotel"
amba2622, 08 Octobre 2019

Our room is always fully serviced everyday. The food is great and lunch specials are good value for money. The coffee here served by the lovely Natula and her friendly knowledgeable service is the best we've had so far! Personally we think the coffee made by Natula is the best in Bunbury.

"Comfy beds"
burga118, 06 Octobre 2019

Centrally located, large rooms with comfy beds. Hotel is very dated and I'm unsure how they get away with charging what they do. Staff are ok. We could very easily here the street noise and it was rather loud with people enjoying their Saturday night.

"Lord Forest hotel Bunbury"
Joyoussk, 03 Octobre 2019

Always clean and well presented. Close to cafes museum shops library extremely convenient location -everything in walking distance and staff always pleasant and keen to help. Excellent value for money

"Great Hotel"
repowrx, 29 Septembre 2019

What a great hotel. Rooms were clean and tidy, central location and friendly staff. After reading a previous review yes the room was a little hot but they all have balcony's and we just opened the sliding door, didn't have any mustiness in our room stayed in a queen room. Will be back

"Disappointing"
Kellie E, 29 Septembre 2019

Room smells musty and old. The aircon is only set for heating, I don't understand when it's a 27 degree day!!! The curtain wouldn't close so the light is shining in our eyes. Made a complaint and no one bothered to come.

"pleasant"
weddinga12, 18 Septembre 2019

stay was pleasant enough ,room well kept tidy clean sufficient Food was basic and I felt the staff need a few more hospitality friendly skills guess I had been spoilt as I had come to LF from 14 days in another hotel where the service and hospitality were absolutely 100%

"Perfect Conference Venue"
Valma I, 15 Septembre 2019

Hotel Lord Forrest was the perfect venue for the Catholic Women's League Australia's National Council Meeting and 49th Biennial Conference. It was easy to access from the Bunbury Bus Station, close to a variety of cafes, retail shops and walking trails for conference attendees to stretch their legs and get some fresh air during breaks. The facilities were excellent and the staff helpful at all times. There was an excellent range of menu options from which to choose and it was presented well and ready at the appointed time. Only positive feedback from the attendees.

"Great Location"
consultsaid, 11 Septembre 2019

Hotel is on good location, walk-able everywhere. Bars and Restaurants at doorstep. Breakfast in Hotel pretty basic. Parking is free and easy. Bar within Hotel close too early for my liking. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

"Best in town - great location"
Dannipee, 02 Septembre 2019

Clean rooms and comfy beds. Nice bar area, and great reception staff. Didn't have the breakfast but was on offer for $20 per head. Now that's a bargain. Undercover parking included. Will I stay again definitely yes. It's bang in the middle of town and easy to walk to good restaurants, bars and the main shopping strip

"Landmark Hotel"
Ian W, 12 Août 2019

The Lord Forrest Hotel is an icon from the glorious 80's, the days of Alan Bond and winning the America's Cup. I have stayed there several times on business this year and this time found a very pleasing refurbishment of my room. Of note is the bed backboard that has great lighting and double power plugs each side that is so convenient for charging phones and iPads. The bathroom is also vastly improved and stylish. Not sure about the restaurant and lounge bar. Very quiet. Not much of a vibe. Needs promoting I guess. Anyway, enjoying my stay and appreciate the very central location.

"Perfect getaway"
coliny386, 06 Août 2019

The hotel is easy to access with a secure private car park. Check in was easy and if you don't mind the staff trying to up sell you to the best western rewards club than it's ok. The pool was located inside the main building and does give off that chlorine smell when you arrive at check in or eat st the restaurant. The rooms were clean however we did encounter a large water pipe noise when running taps. The in house restaurant was lovely although the lighting was a bit full and made it hard to read the menu

"Great Hotel, great location"
Amanda121171, 04 Août 2019

The décor of the rooms is great and I loved the balcony. The restaurant staff are great and the restaurant itself has a nice ambience. The food was amazing. My only criticism is that the kitchen area doesn't have a microwave or appropriate cutlery and dishes. I found this very inconvenient.

"Hot and outdated"
Bellablac, 04 Août 2019

The décor is outdated in the bathrooms and don't bother asking for a bath - It's just slightly bigger than a laundry trough. The rooms were hot and stuffy and difficult to adjust to a nicer temperature. The service by staff is excellent though

"Convenient, clean and not too expensive"
Suzanne C, 04 Août 2019

We only stayed 2 nights and did not use the restaurant. It is an oldish hotel, however recently had upgrades. The room was very clean, with a good view. The staff were attentive and most helpful when we had internet query. Housekeeping staff were friendly and efficient. We did not use the pool but saw several people having a good time in it. The bar area was nice but very quiet. Would stay again.

"Lovely Stay In Bunbury"
ReneePotter1974, 01 Août 2019

I hadn't stayed at this hotel for awhile as previously it was a bit run down, however thought i would check it out again and was please i did - the upgrades have been great - i will be back to stay again.

"Lord Forrest Hotel"
daniel5338XD, 28 Juillet 2019

While the Lord Forrest used to be the cream of the crop of hotel options in Bunbury, these days it seems quite aged when compared to even the average hotel. The room's were adequate & the shower provided hot water. Not nearly as "Fancy" as the word of mouth leads you to believe.

"Mostly disappointing"
Kylie W, 20 Juillet 2019

Winter family getaway with indoor warm pool was inviting. We were mostly disappointed with the Lord Forrest. The first night the wind coming through the gap in the sliding doors was too much for kids to be able to sleep. Cracking the door open on to the balcony just a little stopped the noise but meant we had to leave the door open all night which wasn't good for safety. I told the office but all they did was apologise and offered no fix. The next two nights we had to shove towels down the gap in the sliding door to stop the sound of howling wind while we were sleeping. Free wifi didn't work in our room. Our room keycard constantly stopped working. 20mins for eggs to be replaced at breakfast buffet. Had to ask for plates and bowls to be replenished at the breakfast buffet. And told that the all day dining cafe was having a break when we ordered a snack beside the pool - only to be told over an hour later when we were having our keycard replaced that restaurant was now opened - we cancelled our chip order.

"Great place to stay in Bunbury"
Quokka2, 02 Juillet 2019

Friendly, welcoming, centrally located, good parking, comfortable rooms. The huge atrium with its restaurant and pool is spectacular by day and romantic at night; food is reasonably priced, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. Our room had standard motel layout with a small balcony, decent sized bathroom and very comfortable bed. There was a small sink and toaster in addition to the usual fridge, jug and tea/coffee facilities, so breakfast in the room is no problem if you don't want to go to the buffet. Only minor quibbles; the A/C isn't adjustable and we were a little warm under the doona; the wifi didn't seem to penetrate to our room, and the toilet was obviously designed by a woman 'cause the flap wouldn't stay up :-)

"Nice Hotel"
Johnnarrogin, 28 Juin 2019

We have stayed it this hotel before & it is a great place, friendly efficient staff in all areas. Central location, quiet room with all that Courbet needed. We stayed in a spa room this time & it was clean, roomy and comfortable. Happy to recommend this hotel.

"Good trip"
Dreamer54586798138, 25 Mai 2019

Could do with some more modern suite options (bluetooth speaker) over all very fair on price right in the middle of the city walking distance to the beach quite cheap on drinks prices aswell also has its own pool inside

"Overall fantastic"
Passenger27304912046, 17 Mai 2019

Always great staff and service here nice clean and tidy rooms as well. The hotel exterior is a bit dated but don't let that put you off nice and clean inside with tidy well finished uncluttered rooms.

"Starting to show its age"
Car0made, 13 Mai 2019

We stayed here one night. The rooms were very tired, with worn carpet, and old decor. The beds were comfortable however, and the shower hot. There are no lights in the bedroom, which makes it very dark, not sure what that's about. I would stay here again if passing through, but probably not for a long stay.

"Great location, Value for Money"
Seaside42788983792, 08 Mai 2019

Great location, Value for Money. Pleasant and accommodating team. Rooms a little tired, but comfortable. Pool and Gym good for what it is. Bar and restaurant was very quiet, but then there are some great pubs & eateries just around the corner. We rarely stay anywhere else, gives us what we require.

"Enjoyed my stay"
E8674SOrachelb, 07 Mai 2019

We in my stayed one night, but bed was cosy room and bathroom clean and tidy, enjoyed a nice cocktail in the downstairs bar, was impressed with the foyer design, staff were friendly and had a peaceful nights sleep, nice view from our little balcony

"Clean and tidy - I would stay again"
K2867IOjohnw, 05 Mai 2019

Clean, tidy and spacious room that appeared to have been recently refurbished. The building itself is obviously a little dated and struggling to recapture past glory (when the hotel was more upmarket). Has some quirks that other reviews have commented on, like the need to use the door stop because of the way the ventilation appears to suck air loudly under the door otherwise. A couple of times I think that may have contributed to the door not fully closing when we thought it was - so just be careful of that. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed overnight with my son on a Saturday night as he had a basketball game in Bunbury early the next morning. Breakfast was good value - again not fancy but straightforward and done well. I would stay again.

"A pleasant stay but the facility needs to be brought up to date."
602Tony, 23 Avril 2019

We initially tried to book our accommodation on line but failed so reverted to a phone call. The staff handled our booking most pleasantly and we were impressed by the staff throughout our stay. Our room with ocean views was a good size, clean, well appointed and well maintained. WiFi was very hit and miss, mostly miss. One may assume that the fashion of the day was to have the swimming pool in the hotel atrium which meant the smell of chlorine was obvious throughout the hotel and especially in the atrium restaurant and bar areas. Also the noise of happy children was audible throughout the building, sound proofing was not adequate, unfortunately some children are allowed to scream which was a little off putting. The wind noise under the room door was also annoying until we found the door stop which quietened things down. I hope overseas guests know what a door stop is and can find it! We had a pleasant and well priced breakfast in the atrium. One of the strengths of the hotel is its location close to the main restaurant and retail precincts of the City.

"Should be much better"
mundo61, 18 Avril 2019

We're here tonight and thank god we only booked for 1 night. The rooms are clean and comfortable enough with a comfortable bed and the check in staff friendly, helpful and professional, but that about finishes it. We went out for dinner as the restaurant wasn't open. We've come back at 9pm for a night cap only to be told the tills have been cashed up and we couldn't even get a coffee, and it's a Thursday night. When we mentioned it was a bit sad for a 4 star establishment (which is how it's advertised) we were told it's only 3 star!! The noise of the wind whistling through the door of the room is so loud we can't sleep. Very disappointed after paying $160 for the night. Not recommended

"Adequate digs for a weekend "
WindyMeadows, 08 Avril 2019

I've stayed here quite a few times over the years and it is always pleasant enough a stay. My wife and I stayed for two nights this past weekend while attending an event nearby. The room was clean and spacious, the linen in good condition and the bed fairly comfortable. It advertises high speed WiFi though it is anything but, dropping out often. The lighting in the room is soft, sometimes too dim. Doors slamming can be bit of a bother if you want to sleep in and our room had a very odd harmonic going on somewhere behind the headboard which once I heard it around 5am couldn't unhear! The close proximity to the centre of town is a real plus, there are plenty of nice food outlets within easy walking distance. I would stay here again everything considered.

"Good place to stay"
Jim C, 04 Avril 2019

The hotel service is very good. Ramps from the front access point mean easy access with loads of baggage or by wheelchair to the main lobby. Elevators to every floor. Check in went smoothly, drinks in the bar handled very well, breakfast done well and the flat white was very, very well made. The hotel is very service-able. Clean, good parking, interesting indoor pool design in the main atrium lobby. Balcony in the room meant i could get fresh air whenever i wanted as i worked in the room. The central city location was a bonus as were out with work colleagues every night for dinner and could walk, therefore could enjoy a wine or two. Literally 5 minutes from Nicola's and Mojo, just two of the great CBD restaurants. Lots of coffee places on the high street too. Lots. Bed was very comfortable - that counts as a big positive. What did not work for me was the internet capacity offered in the hotel. Terrible. we need internet as we work constantly in our rooms in the evening and often during the day one of us is in the room.

"Very Happy"
bkfastqueen, 01 Avril 2019

We were very impressed with the location and ease to get around the CBD from here. My husband and I both enjoyed the renovated room and staff on arrival were very helpful. Would stay again and recommend.

"Excellent Staff & Location"
DAMAZPerth_Australia, 29 Mars 2019

The rooms are clean and comfortable and nothing more or less than you would expect. The view from the rooms are great, some excellent. The Atrium area is attractive and that bit different from other hotels of this standard. What separates this from others is the STAFF and LOCATION. The staff are excellent- efficient, accommodating, helpful and just so pleasant. The location is excellent-a short stroll to the main street where its easy to find a good meal and a great coffee. The meals at the Lord Forrest itself are also very good if you want to eat in. This is my place of choice when I come to town. 5 Stars for staff and location.

"Great stay!"
FarAway11460364375, 24 Mars 2019

Always stay here for work trips, so close to cafes, restaurants and the foreshore - everything you need is walking distance! Has an indoor pool and gym available - their gym is undergoing renovations so had access to the gym next door which was great! Parking and wifi included, has everything you need!

"Great stay"
50marikas, 19 Mars 2019

Always love staying here. Rooms always clean and staff are wonderful Highly recommend In house restaurant was wonderful and all staff super attentive. Our early morning or late at night coffees where wonderful and very relaxed

"ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT"
58CHIPPY, 17 Mars 2019

Been here many times. Rooms have been refurbished. room not properly cleaned, bits of paper on the floor, lipstick on the cups. Staff very friendly. Restaurant food and service very good. We will return.

"NEEDS ALOT OF WORK BUT WAS OK"
Mel12305, 13 Mars 2019

Great location if going to BREC, walk to restaurants and the buffet breakfast was really good. Everything was really dated. Pool indoor was fun for the kids but all this brick retaining walls everywhere just made it so old and uninviting. Bed ok, no lock on bathroom door and door didn't shut properly, towels were old, worn and treads hanging down, looked like old rags. Apart from that the room was a great size for a family with two dbles and a sgle plus a dining table. Would stay there again if I needed to be in that location.

"Lovely Veiw"
arnolium, 11 Mars 2019

Hotel is in the middle of the Bunbury CBD with veiws awsome veiws. Recommend it highly. Staff were very friendly. I am very tall so my head touched the ceiling in the bathroom but apart from that. Perfect !

"Nearly excellent "
Freemedear, 09 Mars 2019

We would have given this hotel excellent but the WIFI was useless and I believe you shouldn't be advertising as having WIFI The room with sea views and a balcony was lovely, clean with a great bathroom The bed was super comfy What a brilliant location right on the main drag walk to pubs ,restaurants and the entertainment centre Taxi stand out front and parking in the hotel We will stay again Oh and a fab indoor pool

"Horrible place "
abbe_81, 02 Mars 2019

I'll start with the only good thing this place has going. The staff is very friendly and really tries to be accommodating. But it's not easy when the place is a total mishap. Big warning if you get a room on the 2 first floors. They have not been looked at I recon since the place was built and it really shows. Absolutely worst is the disgusting carpet, our son crawled on that (our bad!) and his cloths got so dirty. The smell in the room is really old and some what moldy. Everything in the place is very old and worn down. The bathroom is a joke where even getting water to flow constantly was a challenge. As we booked two nights we talked to the reception and they confirmed the rooms had not been looked after and we got promised a room higher up that was renovated next day. So we left that morning with all our stuff packed in our car and some left at reception. Got back at evening and to our surprise got a room on the same floor. So we talked to the reception again and the say housecleaning had cleaned the room better (guess if you don't ask for a clean room don't expect to get it!). We said it's still dirty and where offered an other room on the same floor (probably not cleaned since nobody asked for extra clean). We declined and asked to be checked out and refunded but that was not possible because we booked thru an site. WiFi did not work in either rooms, you have to stand by the door to get it and even there it was slow. Oh and both rooms we tried hade the same loud noise from the door of over pressure air, very annoying! The “gym” was closed for renovations, should probably get you priorities straight and fix the rooms first! Would not ever recommend anyone to stay here or come back for that matters.

"Good location and good overall experience"
corneillem2017, 22 Février 2019

Atmosphere in hotel a bit boring, but everything in good shape, good restaurant, good quality rooms, sea views, etc. Restaurant staff may want to cheer up a bit and get to know the menu better, and vibe in restaurant needs a bit of attention.

"short stay"
brian406, 16 Février 2019

Staff were always friendly. Only ate in restaurant for breakfast where with only one staff member there was a tendency for things like milk fruit and juices to run out and had to ask for replacements.

"Great hotel"
Steve_igs, 15 Février 2019

Such a great time spent at the best western plus Hotel Lord Forrest, 5 stars for sure room 505 has an amazing view of the ocean. To anyone wanting to stay in bunbury I highly recommend best western plus hotel lord Forrest

"Something different "
Happy2wanderers, 22 Janvier 2019

We stayed at LFH mainly we had a business meeting in Bunbury Rooms have been refurbished and a quietly well done,we had a lunch both of us had Chicken parmigiana, chips and salad good valve Staff where friendly and courteous, Only negative was both disable parking spots where taken and the parking area was full. We tried undercover area no disable bays where there and no lift access only stairs. Two bays in undercover would help, close to the stairs everybody wanted close to stairs bays

"Very clean, OK for one night stop over"
AndyD367, 04 Janvier 2019

Friendly staff, clean but basic dated room. Located in centre of town and short walk to restaurants and 5 mins drive to Dolphin centre. Pool smaller, clean and OK. Temperature was good. Didn't eat here but breakfast area was busy and food looked OK.

"Christmas lunch"
anneU731, 29 Décembre 2018

The christmas lunch was not worth the $140 each! The food was not good, the lasagna tastes awful, the deserts were left out to dry. Drinks were not included in the price so we had to pay extra for our drinks. We were told there would be carolers and santa. There were no carolers just a CD of old christmas songs playing on a loop. There was no santa, what they presented as santa looked like a staff member that they put a cheap beard on. considering the price they could have at least paid for a professional santa. The staff walked around with what looked like leather aprons on, which put us in mind of serial killers or the texas chainsaw massacre. All in all we paid a ridiculous price for subpar service and food. Won't' be going back again.

"A comfortable stay with helpful staff"
Bernadette S, 14 Décembre 2018

Good location for touring South West Perth region; comfortable room; parking available; centrally located so near restaurants and coast.Laundry facility available. Reasonably priced breakfast and lunch.

"Welcome to the 80s"
Mark C, 06 Décembre 2018

Came to bunbury for the night for friends catch up, paid $135 for the night, room is full of scratched dented wood furniture. Carpet is old & worn. Bathroom full of cracked tiles smells damp balcony is a desert or concrete, bed out of 70s porn movie. Do not stay here!

"Good value"
SmellyMonkeyMan, 05 Décembre 2018

for the Price we paid i have no complaints. it is in a good location and has a free large car park. It looks a bit dated inside but I'm not too bothered by that. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the rooms werent very soundproof and i could hear the commotion from the lobby area and also our east facing room let in a lot of light very early in the morning despite the curtains being closed. But all in all it was a good stay and did the job.

"Business is easy here"
650simoned, 29 Novembre 2018

Centrally located and convenient to shops and restaurants this is a great location.Friendly staff, Rooms simple and clean.Services are good and restaurant is convenient with good food.Indoor heated pool and free wifi this is all you need for a business trip or a few nights away.Walking distance to the beach and parkland.Bring your sandshoes for a stroll along the coastline - simply stunning.

"Great location, no surprises!"
H T, 06 Novembre 2018

We had a great weekend in Bunbury, couldn't fault the Lord Forrest for location. Parking was easy, rooms clean and well appointed. Loved the view looking down at the indoor atrium! Would definitely return.

"Very Disappointed"
AuntyMia, 14 Octobre 2018

The best part of this hotel is the centre atrium. The staff at reception were uninviting and looked bored. The room was dirty, bed uncomfortable & the main bed was so tight up against the window you could hardly get out of it. Was very noisy..window rattled all night in the wind and kept us awake all night no matter what we tried. Hot water was difficult to adjust & all the glasses and plates in kitchenette were dirty. The manager did request we email her with some more details so they could compensate us, but we have ad no response from the manager.

"Central air con set to HEAT"
Andrea W, 12 Octobre 2018

Hotel is older style, rooms need an update. Room smelt unclean, like a dirty bathroom.Main problem is the aircon is set for the whole hotel and not individual for rooms, it's set on heat in mid October. Room was hot, didnt have the 'heating on' had to sleep with balcony door open all night, trying to get some cool air in, this made it very noisy.

"Excellent breakfast "
K M, 06 Octobre 2018

Big thankyou to the lord forest for a lovely breakfast. The staff are polite and helpful, the chef cooks to order as well as buffet and delivered us a fantastic carrot cake in person. The restaurant is quite comfortable and has very tasteful decor. Overall an excellent experience and well worth a visit.

"Never stay here again. The room was Overly priced. No air conditioning - rude restaurant service. Rude cleaner ."
andrewjchila, 30 Septembre 2018

Never stay here again. The room was Overly priced. No air conditioning - could not control the temperature of the room. I ordered room service however the attendant “Andrew” who answered my call for room service was so rude & declined to take my order. I had to call the front desk to place my order. Rude cleaner. The cleaner kept coming in and asking when I was leaving and it was only 11am. Never stay here again

"Long Weekend Away"

"Value plus"
Scott M, 10 Septembre 2018

I had not stayed at the lord Forrest for many years and to be honest my last memory was not that great. Well things have certainly changed for the better. Nice clean modern rooms of a good size. Friendly staff that certainly makes you feel that you could be staying in a high standard hotel anywhere. Keep up the great work.

"Good value"
739dee, 28 Août 2018

This hotel has great staff and is good value for the money you pay. Enjoy the room service meals were wonderful and they were huge (enough for two). Wifi is not very good. Breakfast was really nice. King superior room was nice and spacious. Standard rooms are tight.

"Spoiling me time"
Peter W, 27 Août 2018

Staff are so accomodating and the restaurant is so romantic??we had a lovely meal and my partner had no complaint as to her steak cooked to perfection?and the cocktails were sublime????My choose was ribs and a very generous serving..it was a wonderful start to our weekend we were upgraded to an apartment "wow"it was a lovely lovely room ocean views and we stayed three nights we will certainly come back when we are next in Bunbury ????

"Lovely"
charlene91, 17 Août 2018

From check in it was great, its not our first time here so we parked in the carpark out back and made our way in to reception, we got a corner room was wonderful since the last time we were here the bathrooms had a makeover they look absolutely wonderful now, chair and table on balcony a very big plus, a bigger dinning table would have been nice (used to be a 4 seater) now just a bar looking this with 3 stools, not pratical for bigger family's or dor familys with small children who want to eat in like we did. Beds were comfy. Staff were all great was a great stay once again.

"Stayed one night"
Katie S, 14 Août 2018

Not the best. Had a fire alarm go off which is fine but they never rung to say we could come back into the hotel. Went to the restaurant for dinner no service had to get our own table, menu an water. Had to go to reception re service they said the person was in the bar I said this is not my issue.

"Friend Catchup"
Shane L, 14 Août 2018

Great hotel with extremely friendly staff. Fantastic location in center of Bunbury so walking distance to many restaurants and cafe`s. Very comfortable bed and modern furniture. Well appointed bathroom. Mini bar, which we didn't use, and tea/coffee making facilities.

"Old and in need of an update"
holidays311, 25 Juillet 2018

Missing equipment from the room. Internet speed lacking causing frequent buffering when using Netflix. Makes extra charges to your credit card days after leaving without notice or information. Hard pillows and a stiff mattress.

"Lord Forrest"
Marshall D, 14 Juillet 2018

Very pleasant Hotel to stay at. have been here many times over past 15 years. Location great, close to center of town, tariff very reasonable and included breakfast, breakfast excellent, good choice on offer, staff very obliging and helpful

"Average and clean"
Jade A, 09 Juillet 2018

We chose to stay as it used to be a vibrant hotel complex with a cool bar and lots of atmosphere. Times have changed and it's now a sleepy hotel. Room was nice, clean and spacious. Shower had a curtain ewwww but overall the room was fine. Where has the rest of the extras gone at the hotel though. Nothing else was there.

"LEAGUE TRIP"
kylieb28, 09 Juillet 2018

This hotel was a great place to stay. Heated indoor pool for kids and even a pool table for the whole family to play. Close to shops, restaurants and beach. Nice room and comfortable beds. Accomodated 5 of us in one room. Good value for the money we paid.

"Great for a family stay for a wedding"
Aussie252, 24 Juin 2018

Visiting for a wedding, we stayed in a 2 bedroom unit with aging morher & grandson. Next door same type of room - daughter's family with young children & there were other family in various rooms. Our room was excellent - clean, comfortable beds & linen, plenty of bedding. Kitchen had all the basics. We largely self catered to keep costs contained for a large group. My daughters room was similar but not as clean as ours. Another family member with a room close to lift reported noise from lift kept them awake. Another family member who is well travelled & generally picky reported her room to be excellent. Great location - close to main street & a few minutes walk to interesting shopping & eating options. Not far to walk to beach or inlet foreshore, great view from balcony. Staff were excellent & very responsive. Atrium area well appointed. Indoor pool area enjoyed by the kids- although water was a little cold for June. We's stay again & can recommend.

"Thank you Steele"
Tina G, 10 Juin 2018

My partner and myself recently spent the weekend at Lord Forrest Bunbury. We had a lovely stay (as usual) and would like to give a big thank you to Steele for looking after us. He seemed to be running the place single handed. He was extremely attentive, friendly and polite at all times. Thank you Steele for making our stay warm and welcoming. You're an absolute asset.

"Nice location and services "
Nitavant, 07 Juin 2018

Came in Bunbury for working reason and hotel chosen by my agent. The location is great: exactly in the middle of this little Australian town. The foyer is big and great with a ice area to relax. The staff is very gentle and kind. My room was in the 2nd floor, on the opposite side of the reception. This maybe the reason why internet was not working well at all. Also in the reception area a lot of time it momentarily stops. The room is a bit outdated compared with the photos you see around but fully equipped. Generally a good hotel. Can not comment on the price since it is not paid by me

"Average room"
Mia L, 03 Juin 2018

The room I stayed in this week was ok, however the bathroom needs some serious attention, the taps to turn the shower on are so low that I nearly scolded myself trying to turn them on and off. The movable screen on the bath/shower allows the water to go onto the floor which made me slip...... No view other than an office building so had to ensure I kept the curtains drawn. The reception staff were friendly enough however I felt they lacked enthusiasm. I doubt I would stay again.

"A Bit Quirky, But Fun "
Dave4350, 17 Mai 2018

This hotel was mid-reno when we stayed there. Negotiating the boom lift into the main foyer I was pleasantly surprised by the grandeur of the hotel. Our reception was flawless and the man who served us was extremely helpful and friendly. He offered us a value pack including breakfast which we gladly accepted. The proximity to downtown Bunbury is ideal and surrounded by shopping and dining options. Our room was newly renovated and the bed was a definite 10 out of 10 for comfort. The only downside was the air conditioning or lack thereof. The 1980's style air cond is in need of immediate replacement and basically all it did was make a noise without supplying the necessary cool air. So we slept with the balcony door open to combat the hot room. Fix up the air con and I would love to return. Oh, and the buffet breakfast was very nice indeed.

"Great Staff and that's it!"
livefornextholiday, 12 Mai 2018

The motel rooms are run down and need a serious make over. It feels as if the place needs a good scrub, water marked windows in elevator, dust covered air conditioner ducts in atrium and over all very poor maintenance. The only saving grace was the staff, I'd give them 10/10

"Like an old friend"
Joe A, 11 Mai 2018

We've been coming here for years. It's starting to feel outdated but that doesn't matter when the service is excellent. The very friendly and helpful Sharah-Lee knew my first name when I mentioned my surname, without looking at a screen! Highly recommended.

"Basic but ok"
Miss M, 12 Avril 2018

We booked this hotel last minute over the Easter break. The hotel location is quite strategic, very close to a number of restaurants and an easy 10 minute walk to the beach. We booked a basic room and it was spacious, clean and mostly comfortable but nothing special. The bathroom was not very comfortable for my husband who is 6'5; the shower is over the bath and he struggled to stand up straight as the roof was quite low. Room service was nice but very expensive for what we ordered and the charge of $6 room service delivery fee is a bit exorbitant. Overall, this place is ok for a basic overnight stay but I am sure there are better accommodation options in Bunbury.

"Friendly staff, great food but outdated rooms"
d35-trips, 11 Avril 2018

The room felt outdated with only basic amenities, and our television was faulty. However the staff were very helpful and courteous. The location is very good, right in the heart of Bunbury. The lobby is very unique, with an indoor pool, a pool table and an open restaurant. We ate inside the bar, and the staff were kind enough to turn the music off and switch to the football. The food was very good and was delivered quickly; we had a pizza which was delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, the Lord Forrest was okay and with some renovations this could easily become a 4-star hotel. We enjoyed our stay!

"Old faithful "
Jeff S, 10 Avril 2018

Having stayed here over the last 20 years, I've seen all the progressive changes. Right now the decor is at its best, if you get one of the refurbished rooms. There are still some old 80s schemes if you get unlucky. The prices are verging in moderate, where as I've always considered them fair in the past. Any higher I'll look elsewhere. The restaurant looks great although with so many options on the Main Street, I tend not to eat there or have room service these days. The bar is completely unreliable. You could never plan to meet friends or clients there as it's never open. This is a shame as it's a lovely bar, but not supported by locals for some reason, hence the reason it's often shut. The reception is super friendly and smooth, car parking is good and the whole place is extremely clean and tidy.

"Tired and do not get room 107"
chrisstott6281, 07 Avril 2018

Booked basic room which was on first level. Loud whistling noise only alleviated by opening balcony door. Sort of fixed for 2nd night. Room service very good and food was of a good standard. Fittings in the room were old and tired.

"unusual central atrium room 218"
georgecoates, 02 Avril 2018

well laid out hotel with all rooms set around a central atrium with lovely restaurant and seating areas nice swimming pool all in the same areas rooms very nice clean and well appointed balcony overlooked rear of building so could be noisy with extractor fans, staff polite and helpful.central to Bunbury town and coast

"A mixed bag"
GeorgeinPerth, 01 Avril 2018

Stayed for 2 nights. Reception was friendly although a little slow to be served. Staff in the "café" were very attentive, drinks expensive (although you expect that in a hotel). Pool table for the kids and a pool in the main central arcade - strange set up !! Rooms were clean but the bedding leaves a lot to be desired. An uncovered, ripped duna, with a cover on top. Are the staff too lazy to actually put a duna cover on the duna ? Air conditioner in the room didn't work, no help from reception, which meant we had to open the window overnight which meant no sleep because of the music from the pub next door and the hooning of the cars up the main street. We will not return

"80s Flasback "
mariacaputi, 19 Mars 2018

I hadn't been here since this place was built in the 80s and to be honest not too much had changed. I hope the sheets were changed. In the 80s this place was five star I recall, but a few stars have clearly fallen away in the last few years. Average, on all counts. A shame because it truly was once spectacular.

"Nice Hotel"
Robyn2912, 08 Mars 2018

We stayed one night mid week. It was very quiet while we were there, saw no-one. The staff were very helpful and our room was nice although the bed was a little hard for me. It is a perfect location the all the lovely restaurants and cafes in town. All in all, a good stay.

"Romantic mid week escape"
DebraLetica, 03 Mars 2018

Nice room, lovely sea views overlooking the local unemployment office. A bit too pricey for the location & age of the building. Noisey at times from the traffic below during business rush hours, police cars - close to the law courts etc., across the road from Office Works. Short walk to main street with restaurants, but not many open mid week. Saying that we had a nice relaxing quiet time. Sheets rather scratchy & stiff

"Bunbury Ladies on a Budget"
srussell2018, 02 Mars 2018

Well, here we are again. We are a group of ladies, who in the most part, enjoy getting together, sharing a meal and a laugh. Well last nights meal and experience was quite different. First impressions, great décor, quite funky chairs just outside where you could chill prior to taking your seat at the dinner table. The lighting was....hmm...on the dim side. In fact we got out our phones and used the torch function to read them!! No glasses on the table though we did have a water jug. Not too sure how we were supposed to drink the water but nevermind - they did eventually turn up. The waiter and waitress, jury is still out on those two. They were either very new to serving customers or quite honestly disinterested. I am hoping that they were new because to reach in front of one person to pass food to the person next to them is so wrong on so many levels. It's not as if there was an issue with space - we were the only ones in the restaurant! One of us ordered steak - medium rare. Not too hard to do you would think. Firstly, she was asked if she wanted chips and mash, chips and roast potatoes or chips and salad. Correct me if I am wrong but you usually only have one sort of potatoes on a plate, don't you? Anyway after deciding on chips and salad the order was taken. 6 out of 7 of us got our dinners, the Caesar salad went missing in action ?perhaps ran out of lettuce?? The steak.....it was anaemic, over cooked, soggy and cold! So it was sent back. 5 minutes later, keeping in mind we had all started eating, the waitress said the chef just 'put it back on the hot plate'...is that ok? Seriously, if it was over done in the first place, cooking it for longer isn't going to make it any rarer. So it was sent back again. So, by the time we had all finished, and by the way the Caesar salad turned up and was apparently the best ever, Wendy got her steak and it was hot, cooked reasonably well and had some colour and flavour to it. Would I go back? Probably not. Sue

"Experimental mini break with special needs"
margaret j, 16 Février 2018

Stayed in a disabled access room on 2nd floor. Bathroom ok, had to ask for a shower chair and mat even tho I had requested one when I booked. Q bed comfortable, kitchen had toaster, kettle. Small balcony and 2 chairs. Great for drying things while out during the day. Door to room was wide enough for wheelchair but opened on an angle. My husband had to get out of his chair, go in, hold the door open while I wheeled the chair in. Manageable but a nuisance. Everything was clean and bright, some re furbishment recently. First night, my husband got locked in the lift at ground floor level. I got out, turned to wheel his chair out and the doors snapped shut, lift refused to move in any direction. Staff appeared with piece of wood, wedge shaped with which they prised the doors apart. Must happen regularly. Lift was out of order for a couple of days. There was a backup lift fortunately. Mentioned the lack of a crossover outside the front of the hotel to gentleman on duty as we checked out. There is a high kerb which you cannot wheel a chair over. My husband had to get out of the chair to stay safe so that I could pull wheelchair up onto the path to the front disabled ramp. When you traverse the ramp to the automatic door to the hotel, there was, more often than not, 2 luggage trollies, on wheels, the kind porters use to transport suitcases in and out of the hotel, parked inside the door, which I would have to move to allow the wheelchair to get inside. These last two issues I discussed with the duty manager as I was checking out. He came with me to inspect the kerb and blocked disabled access .. He agreed that the kerb could be fixed and the porters weren't supposed to leave trollies blocking the doors. No big deal unless you are trying to get your wheelchair bound husband in and out of the hotel. Staff on front desk unfailingly helpful. We ate one evening meal in the hotel. We were going out but the lift episode left us both a bit shaky so we had a stiff drink and dinner and the food was quite ok. Curry and I had Fish. Well plated and cooked. We will certainly stay again soon. The hotel is within easy access (wheelchair) to back beach .. We had a great breakfast right on beach and enjoyed a long walk back towards the light house. Great views. The location of the hotel is great for us, so we will be back. Next time, I'll ask for help with our luggage on arrival and departure. No one offered , so I had to make two trips with the chair and its passenger, then a second for the luggage to the 2nd floor. I didn't see who worked the luggage trollies I kept having to move away from the exit doors but someone did. Just not when I needed them This mini break from Perth was by way of an experiment as my husband can no longer fly, or cruise, so we decided to have 3 nights in Bunbury, try the Lord Forrest and revisit the area we hadn't been to for many years. Bunbury was a lovely surprise so we will be back. If there is a new ramp/ crossover to make access easier I would be very pleased indeed.

"Exceptional Service"
Kay P, 06 Février 2018

Due to an unexpected medical emergency I had to find a hotel for the night after admitting my husband to hospital. It had been a very stressful day - I arrived at the hotel at 9pm and the lady at reception was very compassionate and care. As the restaurant was just closing she spoke to a staff member in the restaurant and he arranged a meal for me. After parking my car the meal I ordered was waiting for me on a tray to take to my room. The service I received was exceptional. My room was very spacious and very clean. Thank you.

"Conveniently located business and family hotel"
5352westaussie, 30 Janvier 2018

After an absence of many years I stayed overnight at this hotel as I had a business meeting in Bunbury the following morning. Pleased to note that the management has been taken over by Best Western and the improvements are taking shape. The staff on the front desk were professional, courteous, and offered every assistance to a guest on arrival.. Special recognition is afforded to Sharah-Lee who offered to assist me with printing a document which needed reprinting. Fortunately the Officeworks store opposite obliged. Ben in the restaurant prepared a quick meal even though the kitchen was closing within minutes. There are a few rough edges needed fixing and I have suggested some improvements to improve a business person's stay. I'd stay at this hotel again if I needed to.

"Nice"
Cilleriania, 27 Janvier 2018

The hotel has a nice lobby, eating and pool area. Room was clean and a good size, if a bit dated. Pool (and spa) were cooler than we like it, but the kids didn't seem to mind. We had pizza and chips at the restaurant one night and it was really really good! The other meals are a fair bit more expensive.

"Nice relaxed stay in a great location"
Lisa0000Perth, 18 Janvier 2018

This was my second stay in a few months. I chose to stay again since the location is amazing and the rooms are reasonably priced compared to other complexes in the area. Although the hotel is a bit dated (our room looked recently renovated though) it actually gives a bit of a relaxed and comfortable vibe when staying there. We stayed Christmas Day and the hotel was well staffed for a major public holiday and the staff very friendly and super helpful too!

"Excellent Experience"
Daniel_Godoy_GM, 08 Janvier 2018

Stayed with my wife and three kids. Excellent from the start! Attentive service from all the staff right in the heart of Bunbury and close to all the Bunbury has to offer. The rooms we were in were spotless and balconies added an excellent area to view the surroundings and also dry out the wet bathers! Onsite parking is a must in regional areas and we found this very convenient. The kids loved the indoor (lobby) pool. This was great for us as we did not have to travel too far to have the kids use up a little more of their endless energy. We had the option to eat in the lobby restaurant or outside the hotel where there was a huge selection of eating options. This hotel is situated right in the heart of the restaurant district. The Coles and shopping complex is an easy 5 minutes walk. Ah, the onsite bar was a great option for that sneaky beer away from the kids. We would definitely recommend the Best Western Lord Forrest Bunbury for couples and families.

"Relaxed stay with great food."
Mousey2708, 04 Janvier 2018

This was a return visit, a very enjoyable stay and excellent service from the pleasant, courteous and attentive staff. We stayed in one of the renovated room with ocean views, large comfy bed which aided good sleep throughout. Breakfast / dinner, food quality and quantity (flavoursome and plentiful) which is a bonus for a hotel good value for money. Restaurant staff polite, knowledgeable and attentive to customer needs. Unwind, is a very relaxed environment to have a couples meal or with family, something that is rare in Australian restaurants these days. The hotel does require some investment in the common areas, but when a hotel provides polite courteous staff and good service you can forgive that. Will be back.

"Will be back"

Stayed in a refurbished king room on the 4th floor. Very comfortable with good amenities. Hotel is close to good restaurants and other services. Just booked for one night but will be back for a longer stay.

"Really impressed"
Tammy R, 02 Janvier 2018

We stayed for the New Years long weekend just to have a quick getaway out of Perth for our 10 year anniversary. We selected this venue due to the location and based on the reviews of previous guests and on both accounts were not disappointed. Every single staff member we came across was genuinely polite and helpful, the room was faultlessly clean and very modern and comfortable, fully equipped with all the things we needed (the kitchenette was impressive) and the bed very comfortable to get a lovely relaxed nights sleep. We upgraded to the deluxe suite on 4th floor for ocean views which was lovely. Yes, officeworks ruined the views a bit with their ghastly big blue lit up building but apart from that the views were gorgeous. For new years we had walking distance access to all the happening places and during the day we had several lovely walks to shops, places to eat, and monuments. I highly recommend this place for all couples who want to feel special and enjoy a romantic getaway. We hope to return again. What would I change about this place? Tiny things like a couple of extra towel hooks on the back of the bathroom door, and a full cutlery set (forks & spoons) and larger plates in the kitchenette, but that was all. If you have a bad back or heavy bags, be sure to drop them off in the front door when you check in because the undercover basement parking only has stairs to the hotel so you will get caught out walking up steep narrow stairs with suitcases.

"Resturant"
Beverley M, 13 Décembre 2017

I went to the main Resturant for lunch today with 33 other people, after 1hour and 10 mins when everyone else had finished there meal I got mine. Nobody should have to wait that long for a meal. Not impressed. In saying that my chicken parmy was delicious, and they gave me my coffee for free. But really if u cannot handle that many people and a few more in the resturant u should not be running one. Please get it right as your meals r very nice

"Amazing "

"Like a sauna.Booked out and went elsewhere."
holdenfj, 01 Novembre 2017

High rise block with limited tight parking spots. We luckly secured one and went to our room. The doors to all the rooms are off ahall in an atrium overlooking the lobby down below. Should have been given a clue by the guests out of their rooms and hanging over the waist high wall looking into the atrium. We were given an "ocean view" room on an upper floor and sure enough away in the distance was some water but imposing in this view is Office Works right next door. The room was hot and the afternoon sun was pouring in. My husband attempted to turn on the air con tomgive some relief, but to no avail. No cool air came out.We thought the air con was broken. The room was itself was quite nice. My husband went down to reception as we coudnt get help on the phone. He was told the air con was centrally controlled and was still on winter service, warming not cooling. The manager said that the service could not be switched over to cooling . Individual room split system air cons need to be installed. All that was blowing out was warm air. Awful. We were offered a small reduction in the room rate and breakfast but we could not have survived a nights stay in these conditions. Rom rate was $225.00...expensive. We went a short distance away and found a nice motel with a room over looking a park and the rate was around $135 including breakfast..great price. Great saving and the rooms had indiividual air cons THAT WORKED.

"Basically average"
Mark T, 28 Octobre 2017

I stayed here with my girlfriend overnight on a Saturday as I was competing nearby. The lady in reception was lovely and helpful. The room was clean and very happy with comfortability and location was very central. Few let downs though..carpark was full from a function that night so had to squeeze the ute into a matchbox space. I had a sneaky peak at the menu to their restaurant online and was impressed. Headed down for a feed and we were told the online menu (also put up in the lift) was 18 months out of date and due to big function there was only a bar menu with 4 or 5 meal choices or nibbles. We stayed positive and ordered. But instead if asking us if we minded a different version of fish and chips to the one on the menu, they decided to just give it to us and apologise afterwards. On checkout I was trying to be friendly with a "good morning" to which I got no reply but a vacant look from the grumpy dude on reception. Nice hotel but need a little work on customer service.

This hotel appears to be getting renovated and rooms are clean with good facilities. The restaurant serves great meals and a substantial buffet breakfast. Hotel was fine for a one night stop over and in good location to shops , restaurants and bars .

"Not happy"
suzyh811, 23 Octobre 2017

So after staying here 5 times a year for the last 5 years, it's funny that because I booked on hotels.com, I'm treated like a substandard guest. The guy at reception even commented on this like I was an alien. 1st floor room, next to the service room, laundry, gym and elevator. I know this is the least desired room in the entire hotel. If they had checked their history on me, they would have discovered I'm a regular guest. Perhaps given me a renovated room. But no, old room, roof and air con unit views. The air con is still hot... I now have a fan in the room to keep it at least cool. I try to stay here, but this is probably my last stay.

"A little disappointed "
Sue C, 23 Septembre 2017

Really happy with the cleanliness and friendly staff we booked a room with beach side views and a bath only to be informed once we checked in that we would have to take the bayside which is on the opposite side of the hotel with great views of the car parks and roof tops and no bath but apparently with room was suppose to be an upgrade seeing how we couldn't get the room we booked it was extremely noisy due to other guests and what sounded like a night club with extremely loud and noisy music and people screaming and shouting until after 4:30 in the morning we left tired and exhausted a lot of the noise within the hotel so we found out the next morning was due to a room right next door to us was a storage room that staff were in and out of all day night and morning
