THE LIBERTY Hotel Bremerhaven, BW Signature Collection

We stayed here near the end of our 18-day trip in Europe, and it was probably my favorite. We had a large, comfortable room, with a great view of the harbor. The breakfast buffet was wonderful with lots of options. Our server even found some gluten free bread for me - I really appreciated that. The hotel is also close to many attractions, including the Deutsches Auswandererhaus (German Emigration Center) - probably a 3 minute walk from the hotel at most.

I booked this hotel specifically for the Air Conditioner. It was around 65 F outside and at least 75 inside the room. We left for a few hours hoping the AC would cool the room but there was no improvement. When I complained I was told "Germany doesn't have AC like Americans expect. The law says we can only cool the room to 5 (or 10?) degrees C above the outside temperature. I have heard this many times but I cannot find this law. It made me feel like they were actually heating the hotel. We were on the street and did not want to leave the window open due to the noise, so she gave us a room on the 1st floor facing the water. Unfortunately due to security and the shared balcony with the whole floor we could not leave the door/window open at night.

Another enjoyable stay at the Liberty Hotel; strategically positioned in the rejuvenated harbour side setting gives you the calling of the sea. Rooms are well proportioned with great internet access. Harbour side rooms gives that added extra. Dinner on both evenings were at their own Mulberry Street restaurant which came out on top both times. Curry lemongrass foam soup was absolutely exquisite as was the North Sea Cod. All staff were first class.

A 2 day stay for business and the Liberty Hotel could not have been more accommodating. From the scenic water side setting to the attentive staff, and open restaurant area, the Liberty Hotel is making the right noises. Rooms are a good size and generous sized bathroom. Despite the COVID the hotel had carried out enough precautions to assure guests.

Great service and hotel all round. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Nice, clean and big room with comfy beds. Same with bathrooms. Breakfast served with lots of freshness and lots of possibilities. On plus side: they had option if you can't sleep, that they can offer you a glass of warm milk with honing. Free of charge.
