    « Comfortable stay »

Nice clean spacious rooms. Everything is close within 5 minute drive to hotel. Staff in pleasant and helpful. The downside is the appetizers in the restaurant were more like frozen food reheated than freshly made. Breakfast buffet on Sunday was really good.

    « Friendliest Staff Ever »

This is our 2nd stay at the Arden Park Hotel. My wife and I both commented to each other about how friendly the staff are here. The Hotel is meticulously kept and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.

« Great staff and good food! »

The people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The maid that did our room was extra nice and made sure we got what we needed! The food is great! They took care of us old folks. The menu is varied and they have daily specials like lamb shank which was delicious. The location is close to all the venues and within walking distance if you are young.

    « Business Trip »

Very nice hotel for business traveler. Updated rooms and on-site lounge and restaurant make this hotel appealing. Recommend should you need to stay in this area. Meals were done nicely and service in the lounge was outstanding. The only complaint I had was they ran out of my favorite beverage after the first drink.

« Excellant place to stay »

Recommend highly, good location to downtown Stratford Ontario. Grounds are well kept. Front desk staff very helpful. Clean & tidy foyer, nice large chairs to lounge in.. Really nice and clean pool and area. Good Parking

    « Excellent. »

For anyone familiar with fine hotels like the Fairmont, Marrott, former Delta, etc. you will find equally good accommodation in Stratford at the BW Arden Park Hotel. This is a well appointed hotel with excellent furnishings and amenities. The staff are friendly and welcoming. A good restaurant is available - again with friendly and accommodating staff. While there is no room service, the restaurant will quickly set up a serving tray with covers so you can take a meal to your room. This was a good place to stay.

« Good Facility, Great Location »

I'm not big on B&B's, which Stratford is chock-a-block full of. While they were once a lower cost alternative to big hotels, that is no longer the case, and I see no value in paying a premium to sleep in someone's guest room. Give me a nice hotel room, in a property with a full range of amenities, where I can be an anonymous guest. The BWP Arden Park Hotel ticks all my boxes. It is a relatively modern property, with restaurant, pool, fitness room and meeting rooms on site. Our room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view of the parking lot (can't have it all, I guess). It was a pleasant 1 mile walk to the downtown and the Avon Theatre, and about half that distance to the Festival Theatre for the two shows we saw during our visit. The desk clerk at check-in was pleasant and helpful. We were able to arrange a late check-out the morning of our departure (not as late as we would have ideally wanted, but they were fully booked, so that's understandable). However there was no issue with leaving our car in the parking lot (free parking FTW) while we enjoyed a matinee performance at the Festival Theatre. We enjoyed a nice breakfast at the on-site restaurant. The only issue there was that there only one server on the floor, and she was extremely busy - not her fault though. Breakfast itself was quite good. It was a la carte, not your typical complimentary buffet.

    « quality of hotel »

I enjoyed my stay at Arden hotel - my rm was good and having a restaurant on site was great. the only issue I had which i think i big was my whirlpool tub was not cleaned 2 days in a row. when I called back to inquire about the cleanliness I found they would not take total ownership of the issue. but overall I really liked my stay!

« I've found boxers under the sofa »

I visited Stratford for the festival. During my stay I've Found a pair of boxers under the sofa in the room. Wasn't happy about that. The paint in bathroom is dropping off. It's just an average hotel with poor cleanliness.

    « satisfied customer »

The staff treated me royally and the room was amazing. I was upgraded and was extremely pleased with the amenities. Checking out was as seamless as checking in. Facilities for the wedding I attended were well set up and suited the purpose well.

« Great stay for what we needed. »

Location was central to what we needed for the weekend. We stayed one night and the room was very adequate for myself and my son who uses a wheelchair - deluxe - 2 queen beds. The room itself was big enough and Bathroom very spacious - shower chair was finally provided. Only real set-back for some might be that there is no room service and no breakfast included. It depends on what qualities an individual seeks in their stay and for us this stay was a solid 4 out of 5. We didn't stay for the view and this particular room (225) has no view - just in case you needed to know.

« no breakfast included at this Best Western »

My wife and I stayed here for one night of a road trip. Entry was surprising because one comes upon the restaurant reception desk before the hotel reception desk, but its no biggie. Front desk staff were courteous and efficient. Our room was a king suite having a separate salon and bedroom. Both rooms had large flat screen televisions; neither had a sleep timer. The rooms were spacious and the salon had an adjacent kitchenette. The rooms were clean and had adequate furniture. The bathroom had a separate shower stall and jacuzzi tub. The caulking at the bottom of the shower stall was in need of a bit of work or cleaning; I did not inspect it closely. Unusually, this Best Western does not have an included breakfast, but this hotel has a restaurant and bar-lounge.

« Our Stay at Best Western The Arden Park Hotel »

Well located, friendly staff, would stay here again. We dined in the restaurant for lunch, excellent service and excellent price too. Our room was ready when we arrived, check in was done in a timely fashion, and with a smile!!

    « Great experience! »

An Excellent hotel - very comfortable room, competent and friendly staff, convenient parking. I did not take any meals at the hotel while there, so cannot comment on food service. Parking well-lighted.

« management needs to pay attention »

I normally like my visits to this hotel, it is clean, the maintenance, dusting etc is very good. So I will say thank you to the maintenance staff for a GREAT job. +1 The Front line workers of the Hotel work very hard; but, the fail here is the management who short term (weekend) planning for special events lacks attention to detail. Such as staffing for the restaurant on Saturday morning where one and only one server was on duty with a rush of 200 people - she was heroic - Thank you Nora. (under the rules of no last name but first name's allowed) .... +1 to Nora -3 Management Internet is during my stay was spotty, -3 ... No Management after 25 years of software development, I know it's not be, it's you BW.. During events where you are contracted to have a food venue and banning outside food, make sure you bleeping open on time. -2 to management.... The math does not add up right? Why because the front line staff are friendly and attempt to the best of their abilities so make things right +n..

    « Great Getaway »

We stayed here for a bowling tournament and were immensely impressed by the quality of the rooms and service. Beds were great. Real close to the downtown area and restaurants. Can only nit pick to find fault.

    « Growmark Conference »

Attended a Winter Crop Conference at this facility. Arrived the first night to stay in a King Suite, very fashionably decked out with modern furnishings. Great breakfast the following morning from an attentive server. Spent the next two days at a conference with excellent meals including a banquet one evening for dinner.

« Great Hotel and Great Staff »

Great staff and hotel. Stayed due to a hockey tournament in Seaforth. Would definitely stay there again. Kids had s great time swimming and everything was close by (shopping, food etc). Not sure if their pricing was raised during this off season due to the hockey tournament. This was pretty pricey and my only complaint.

« Beautiful, modern hotel for Stratford festival stay »

Stayed at the Best Western Plus Arden Park with my girlfriend for two nights while seeing a Stratford Festival show, and touring around the town. Hotel is very clean and in excellent condition. Modern decor and feel, yet with elegant furniture. Good sized room with large comfy beds, and spacious bathroom. There was also some sort of a convention or event going on, but in room was still nice and quiet. Automatic espresso and drink machine in the lobby was free and definitely a nice bonus. Enjoyed some time in the pool and hot tub as well. Location was good. Just a five minute drive from downtown Stratford and the theatre area. A couple minutes away from the Shakespeare haunted walk we attended. Went for brunch across the street at Romeo's corner cafe. Overall, a great stay. Would definitely book again.

    « Basketball tournament »

We stayed this hotel for weekend basketball tournament. Room was crisp clean and staff were nice too :-) 10 min drive from town centre and 5 min drive to plaza. Laundromat is close by if need to wash some clothes. Also breakfast in hotel was decent as well. We enjoyed staying!

« First Time in Stratford »

Stayed here Friday Jan 26, 2018. Was able to checkin early, given a King room on 4th floor, with couch sofa bed so extra room to relax. Housekeeping did a magnificent job, everything was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was large and had rainfall shower in tub, thou water pressure was a bit low. Room itself was very brightly lit which was very nice. Only issue was TV was kind of small for size of room. Keurig coffee maker in room and refrigerator, no microwave. Desk with lamp, phone and power outlets. Wifi very fast and reliable. Plenty of free parking. Free coffee and tea in lobby. Large meeting rooms available. Restuarant onsight, no free breakfast. Very nice small pool and hot tub, bathrooms, pool towels and workout room with weights, universal and treadmills. Overall, this hotel is one of the best Bestwestern has to offer. It deserves the Plus designation. Another bonus is it is Near the Stratford Festival grounds. Would recommend this hotel to everyone and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

    « A great motel stay »

This is a very well manageged property with exceptional employees. Rooms are very quiet, clean with a modern decor. Both check in and checkout was efficient and pleasant. An added bonus is the restaurant on location.

    « Perfect »

This is an over expectation experience. Large room and large bathroom. I am tall and the shower was enough high for me!! Good restaurant and a nice lounge. They serve fast breakfast at a good price! Overall service very good. And the most important, It is very very clean. Downtown is a 5 minutes drive and the hotel is at walking distance from the festival theater!!!

    5
    « Had a great time! »

We were there for our grandson's hockey tournament. Everything was very nice at the hotel. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed eating in the restaurant, the ladies treated us very well, and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely go back there.

« NEW YEAR EVE EXPERIENCE »

We booked back in October for the package deal. We have been coming for 5 years. When booking we asked for 4 rooms-same floor and close together. Arriving 2 rooms on different floor and at opposite end of building. Dissatisfied. Told problem to girl at booking and she shrugged her shoulders and said they were fully booked. Not in October.Given tickets for door prizes for party. Band decided not to draw tickets for winners but picked people off dance floor with nice tie, short skirt, wiggle etc. Lady with band picked people she wanted to win. Not fair. We paid good money for party package. All girls in our party have knee or hip problems. We sat and listened to music most of night. Only 4 draws were made for door prizes. Not fair play. Last draw the number wasn't even checked to see if it was right. Very, Very disappointed. Food and service was excellent.

    5
    « Very pleasant stay »

The hotel location is near the city center, about 15-20 minutes walk. Also 10-minute walk to Stratford Festival. Room is very comfortable and modern (we took the "deluxe"). Well appointed with microwave included and the most comfortable beds of our two-week stay in Canada. Indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi which were wonderful to enjoy while outside it was bitterly cold and snowing. Attentive staff. A nice restaurant is available.

    « New Years Gala »

I have been to the Arden Park several times. Each stay has been great, however, this past weekend the staff really stepped it up a notch. My wife and I attended the Mardi Gras for New Years, our second such outing at the Arden Park. As with last year, the experience was 5 star. The staff was amazing, the food was stellar and the accommodations were top notch. Special thanks has to be said to Teagan, Karen and a huge thank you to Brittney (hope I spelled it correctly) Each of them made our stay a touch above. We will definitely be booking for the next New Years Gala as we couldn't ask for a better experience! I highly recommend staying here!

    4
« Home base for a hockey tournament »

My family and I stayed at the BW Arden Plus from December 27- December 30 for a local hockey tournament. The guest rooms are large and spacious, with ample working, sitting and eating areas. The bathroom is large and very nicely decorated. Beds were soft and comfy. The staff at check-in and check-out were very helpful, even despite being very busy from all of the other families and holiday travelers coming and going. The bar staff was attentive and helpful! Not sure what happened with the breakfast as all the the eggs we had cooked to order tasted like burnt butter - not appetizing. The coffee they serve, however, was enjoyable. Overall, I suspect this is usually a quiet hotel in Stratford; if you're booking during the winter months, I would call ahead to ensure that there is not a hockey tournament going on as I would advise to stay somewhere else.

    5
    « Wonderful New Year's Eve Gala »

Best Western Arden Park did a wonderful job of their New Year's Eve Mardi Gras theme. The dinner, decorations, live band, dancing, breakfast was superb! Both the Buffet Dinner and the New Years brunch buffet, both had lots of variety of food with very high quality and presentation.

    4
    « Hockey tournament »

Stayed at this hotel for hockey tournament. Hotel staff managed the volume extremely well and were very pleasant and accommodating. The lounge staff was fun. The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern.

« Nice ending to Christmas day »

We decided not to risk the drive home on Christmas day so we landed at this hotel and were offered a reduced price because of bad road conditions. We were treated like royalty and felt very safe. We feel at home in this hotel

    5
    « Never Disappoints »

People who work at Hotel very nice and friendly. The suite is spacious and in excellent shape. Above standards of most Best Westerns. Food in the Restaurant delicious and great service. Cleanliness of hallways and rooms superb.

    5
    « Enjoyable Stay »

Clean, modern, spacious rooms (suite). Booking again for the following weekend. Ample free parking and the pool and hot tub were great (pool on the warm side, great for the winter when we were there). This hotel exceeded my expectation, smaller city/town hotels usually do not.

    4
    « Excellent 1 Night Stay »

Staff was very bright and cheery at check in and answered and and all of my questions. Service at the lounge was fast and friendly and both dinner and breakfast were well done. Can't ask for more than that on a last minute stay!

    5
    « Anniversary Get-Away »

What a find! The hotel was easy to locate within Stratford, and although not walking distance to the centre of town it was set conveniently between downtown shops and the large "box stores" on the outskirts. There were also several coffee shops and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel - although making reservations for Sunday Brunch is highly recommended! Our delightful room was a corner suite with a wonderful jetted tub, fireplace, and kitchenette with a sink, microwave, and bar fridge. It was complete with all the amenities including a desk with charging station, wifi, generously sized television and access to a myriad of channels, and a table/chairs near the window. Perfect for an cozy anniversary get-away.

    5
    « Excellent service! »

Staff went beyond reasonable expectations to make our stay enjoyable. Queen Suite was very large, comfortable and met our needs. Would highly recommend this accomodation to others seeking comfortable, friendly, competitively priced accommodation.

    « Best Western survey »

Enjoyable visit in Stratford Ontario where some family reside, if I need a hotel next time I visit Stratford will certainly consider the Best Western at Arden Park. Check in was smooth and efficient and staff v ery helpful.

    5
    « very accomodating »

when I realized that I had only made a one night reservation, when I had thought I had reserved for two nights, the manager went out of his way to help...this involved time, knowledge and perserverence......I had travelled to this destination for an important skating competition of my granddaughter, and there were four people in my group.......we were fortunate to be able to stay the second night after a was noted by the manager

    2
« Lacking in Customer Care »

Loud band playing underneath us. Manager said done at 1130pm, they finished playing at 1am then loudly packed. Girls had a 930pm curfew for team sporting event next day, this is my eighth year here! They know these girls are up before 6am and should have allocated our rooms differently to avoid the banquet room noise. Stuff was vibrating in our room, it was that loud. No empathy on the issue from anyone. We couldn't sleep till after 130am and got up at 530am. Under four hours of rest!! Given a lousy 20% back on room night to compensate. Otherwise the rooms are nice and large, large tubs, good counter space, good size fridge, microwave and comfortable beds. I'm just saddened the staff didn't show more empathy and understanding of this situation.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This is a great hotel. We stayed there on a couple of occasions for hockey and certainly the hotel is modern, very clean, rooms are fairly roomy and the bathrooms are a nice size. I would/will definitely stay again

    « Best Western »

Nice hotel in Stratford. Clean rooms, pool, exercise room and friendly staff. Excellent restaurant located in the hotel where we had a very nice family supper and good breakfast the next morning. A bit surprised that breakfast was not included in the rates as it is at other Best Western Hotels. Would still recommend a stay at this hotel if you are in the Stratford area.

    5
    « A most pleasing experience. »

The Arden Park is five star all the way. Very friendly and helpful staff. We enjoyed a very spacious double queen suite with fire place. Amazing food in the restaurant. Absolutely a great value. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. Thanks to all who made our stay a most pleasant experience. ??

    « Excellent Room »

The bed was truly the best feature of my room. So comfortable. Room was very well decorated and consisted of sitting area, Keurig with hot chocolate & coffee. Bathroom was very spacious and entire room was spotless. Breakfast was served quickly and very tasty.

    « A. Very comfortable Stay »

I like the Best Western because it is clean, staff is very friendly and helpful. I keep going back there because of our very good experience. We stayed in Miami for a week two years ago and our experiences have always been very positive.

    5
« Excellent staff, beautiful comfortable rooms »

Our experience from start to finish was perfect, we were greeted with a smile, our room was nicely furnished, the beds were very comfortable, we had a gas fireplace in our room. The room was very clean and everything worked in our room. We will be back next year again.

    « Worth It »

I have stayed here a few times as I drive to Stratford for work and sometimes due to weather, I was not able to get home. This hotel has always been my "go-to" it is nice, great location, quiet, and staff are very helpful. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and updated.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

The Arden Park Hotel is a beautiful hotel close to the theater and also downtown. The room was clean spacious and very modern looking. The staff was very friendly and had excellent knowledge of the area. I would highly recommend staying here when in Stratford for business or pleasure.

    5
    « Excellent stay! »

The hotel was very clean and a pleasant place. The staff were always accommodating and great to approach. The hotel was in great condition and very clean. We have always enjoyed our stay here for our hockey tournaments. Will definitely stay again.

    5
    « Amazing Hotel »

I would recommend getting the suite, the best room for value we have ever stayed at. Having a little living room separate from the sleeping quarters makes family trips so much better. The pool and hot tub were both very clean and the kids really enjoyed themselves.

    « Very impressed! »

We ended up staying here at the very last minute and what a treat. We had a beautiful king size room that was very modern. Our biggest compliment would be the lengths they go to to ensure the cleanliness and minimal environmental impact. The bathroom and bedroom were stunning and spacious. We will definitely be staying at Best Western Plus again.

    3
    « Good hotel »

Easy access from the hotel to the heart of the Stratford and new shopping area, to the beautiful park. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and it's restaurant was good. The elevator got stuck on my floor and the door didn't open for 5 min, and nobody answered the talk button.. Took the stairs for the rest of my stay. I had to wait for a while to check out, there was only one front desk person during the busy Sunday check out time who was trying to manage long line up and all the incoming phone calls...

    5
    « An excellent hotel »

I was very impressed with the location, service and property. It is just a short walk to the Stratford Festival Theatre. The rooms were well decorated, clean and spacious. I highly recommend the hotel

    5
« Stratford at its Best »

An excellent choice for a quiet, spacious, comfortable room. Only five minutes to the Festival Theatre, Thames River and Park and about twenty to downtown. Very pleasant dining room with delicious breakfasts and evening dinners. We will definitely stay here again.

    « Wonderful »

First time in the area. This is a newer hotel with great amenities. This hotel has lots to offer for their guests - from a single person to a family to a great conference center. The staff are pleasant, the rooms are spacious - the suites are truly lovely complete with a great firer place and kitchenette. The dining room and lounge have lots to offer and dietary restrictions are met with the greatest of ease - "thank you" truly.

    « Great stay »

We stayed overnight in one bedroom suite. Very spacious and comfortable. You have two rooms and large bathroom with two sinks. Coffeemaker in lobby when you wcome in. Nice facilities including workout room, jacuzzi and pool area. Within walking distance to Festival theatre. Near downtown area and good shopping. Would stay here again.

    5
    « Enjoyed our stay »

Our room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and prompt. Would have enjoyed the option to have breakfast included with our rate. Would definitely stay here again! Hotel appeared tastefully decorated and well kept. Looking forward to using the pool and hot tub next time !

    « Stratford visit »

We had an amazing time visiting this beautiful city. The Arden Park Best Western Plus was really lovely. Our room was spacious and well maintained. The restaurant had quite a variety for dinner and the meal was delicious! Our visit to see Guys and Dolls at the Stratford Festival was truly inspiring! So much to watch that we can see why some guests said they had seen the show multiple times. Bravo to cast and crew. The Stratford Perth Museum was also a very interesting adventure. Thanks to Micaela, the manager for being so accommodating. We haven't visited this wonderful city in a while but will certainly be back very soon.:)

« Hotel close to Festival Theatre »

Aesthetically Hotel lovely inside don't let the outside fool you! Rooms spacious and clean. Bedding very light and did not give much warmth so ask for extra blankets. Fan and heat very loud when it comes on. Went for breakfast and service was slow but there was only one server on duty and she did the best should could. We found the sausages had a "sour/bad" taste and voiced our concern. Response was chef and manager said nothing wrong, new box etc. Don't think this was handled properly. Server was the messenger and I believe manager should have come over and acknowledged our concern. I consider that bad customer service. A nice amenity is the coffee machine near front desk and coffee choices/quality very good. Also free newspaper near front desk Front desk clerk was cold and didn't ask how we liked our stay etc.

    1
« Worst Customer Service Experience »

Worst experience of customer service I have ever had in my entire life. Our Late check in was mixed up and staff proceeded to tell me I needed to call back at a different time. I ended up called 4 times in order to get late check out. I was also told upon booking by front desk staff breakfast was included, but then after booking was told it was not. The wifi was not working, and staff asked me to come to the front desk. They blamed it on me not spelling things correctly, or my phone. They tried multiple times to get it to work on my phone, at which I finally asked for a manager. And they realized it was their wifi and not me. The wifi began to work after they reset it on their end. The manager told me I was the one that was not correctly connecting to the wifi staying I was wrong. I explained to her that HER STAFF were the ones that had my phone and were attempting to connect and they too, where unable to. The manager and staff were both extremely rude about the situation. I could not believe how they were treating a guest. The staff have a lack in knowledge of their hotel and continued to give out wrong information the entire stay. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone who would not want to go through the headache. Awful customer service experience. Worst stay I have ever had.

« Wonderful hotel with only one drawback »

We loved everything about this hotel, very nice, clean and comfortable. The Sunday brunch was amazing. Our only complaint is the lack of handicapped parking, they really should add more spots to accommodate the needs of their guests.

    5
    « Excellent stay!!!!! »

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The staff were amazing and not because it is their job. They were genuinely kind and helpful. We decided to just stay in and dine at the in house restaurant. Could not have asked for better meals/service.

« Good stay for convention »

I visited for a Beta Sigma Phi convention, involving over 150 women. The hotel handled this influx of people very well. My room was clean and comfortable. The Saturday night plated dinner was excellent, although the buffet breakfasts were a bit on the cool side. I was most impressed with the staff, many of whom worked late into the evening and were there again early in the morning, friendly, helpful and smiling. I wish the hotel carried craft beer from the area. The pool was clean, as was the area surrounding it. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

« Fantastic property. Great staff. Great rooms. »

The hotel is very nice, the staff is extremely friendly, helpful and courteous and the rooms were spacious and beautiful. Or entire trip went off without a hitch and was a great experience. A fantastic Best Western and my go to hotel in the area.

    « Great Hotel »

Have been staying here for the last 6 years while attending the Theater. Nicely appointed, clean rooms. Good restaurant pleasant wait staff. You can walk to the Festival Theater from the hotel through a lovely park, so no worries about parking. I highly recommend.

« Great location and hotel »

Stayed in the suite. Very comfortable and nicely decorated. Beds very comfortable and good pillows. Great location. Breakfast was excellent in the restaurant. Would have liked to have had housekeeping - suite was overlooked - not sure how that could happen - and no offer to adjust or add points on checkout. Expected better service on checkout. Would stay again.

« Great Hotel in Stratford »

We certainly enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Stratford, Ontario. It is well located and provides rooms to suit all needs. It is within walking distance of the Festival Theater. Aslo a short drive to the center of town and a large shoppng center outside of town.

We have stayed at the Arden Park Hotel for the past fifteen plus years for our annual October trip to the Shakespeare Festival. The staff are always courteous and friendly. The rooms are comfortable and roomy. The hotel is usually fairly quiet. Convenient location to downtown Stratford and the theaters. Definitely an excellent choice!

« Best Western just ok.... »

In terms of a hotel for a romantic getaway, this one was just ok. For the value of the dollar, there reall wasn't a lot of amenities available that I've come to expect. No room service. No Continental Breakfast, bed was hard, sporatic internet. Room looked great, staff was fantastic, very clean. However, I expected more from a king size suite.

Lovely accommodations. Attractive, easy to locate, good parking. Walking distance to Festival Theatre. Dining Sunday Brunch a remarkable experience. Staff excellent. Amenities supportive of a pleasant trip experience.

    « Needs an update »

A fairly nice mid range hotel with old looking furniture that needs an update. There were several flies in the window that we killed with a newspaper when we first arrived. Lots of parking. Almost within walking distance to the centre of town and theatres.

    « Wonderful hotel »

For the past several years, we have taken our theatre tour group to Stratford and stayed at The Festival Inn. The quality and service dropped considerably, so we sought out a new venue and choose the Arden Park. We all agreed that the change in venue was fabulous! Working with Arden Park to get everything settled for our group was a breeze. Once we were there, every person we met working for the hotel was extremely pleasant and helpful! My sister and I felt our room was wonderful - spacious and very clean. Others on our tour commented they felt the same way. We had breakfast in a separate room each day which was delightful because we could hop from table to table and discuss the plays. The buffet was typical for a hotel, but everything was tasty. We ate dinner at the hotel twice and were very pleased with the food. The service was quite slow, but our server was pleasant and apologized for the delay. We also enjoyed the bar in the evening after the last show. It was the perfect way to wind down after a busy day.

    « Stratford Festival Hotel »

We enjoyed our single night's stay at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel in Stratford. Clean and comfortable room. Friendly and helpful staff members and quick and efficient check in and check out. We did not eat at the hotel, but many others obviously did. Close to Stratford Festival Theatre and easily located using Google maps. We will come back here.

« Clean nice hotel but no late checkout »

I thought the hotel was ok but when I asked for a late checkout to extend my stay an extra hour they declined told me my room was scheduled for maintenance, on a Sunday really, and everything seemed to work in the room, bad customer service. I only wanted to stay an extra hour in the room.

    « No disappointment here ! »

Just on the outskirts of downtown Stratford which makes it easy to get in and out of and only a short distance to local conveniences. Didn't like the location of the pool so didn't go for a swim but room was great.

« Staying at Arden Park is like coming home! »

I discovered this hotel as part of a tour package. I've stayed there three times. It's an impressive hotel. The staff easily handles a full house. The suites are lovely. The standards are uniformly high.

    5
    « Stratford Getaway »

Our stay at the Arden Park Hotel was wonderful as usual. We have been coming here with our family most summers for the past 15 years. Great location, friendly staff and a fantastic breakfast! Renovations look great!

    « Pleasant, well-appointed and convenient »

A lovely hotel with excellent amenities, pleasant and helpful staff. Pool looked pleasant and restaurants served a geed selection of menu items. Very convenient for theatre locations and downtown shopping area. Very comfortable. We will return.

« Predictable and easy acccess to Festival Theater »

This is a good standby hotel, well maintained and always predictable. The hotel is well situated to walk to Festival Theater however accessing other theaters you may want to drive which poses a parking issue. For a chain hotel they still have a local feel.

    5
    « Wonderful Stay »

Comfortable rooms. Great location, within walking distance of Festival Theatre. Nice restaurant in hotel. Caring employees. It was busy downstairs on the street level, but it was very quiet upstairs in the rooms.

    5
« Quite Nice for the Price »

Yes. Indeed, where does Monte begin. An excellent choice for a name brand hotel, offering lively suites and low prices. All in all, a good choice, better than many other BW hotels. It gets Montes covered 2 thumbs up!

    5
« Newly renovated hotel is gorgeous »

This hotel has been completely redone and it's stunning. It has been modernized and the décor is lovely inside the rooms as well as the hallways. Centrally located to all the theaters and plenty of parking. Good price as well.

« Excellent Hotel for a Stratford Festival Adventure »

A great place for Stafford Festival goers to stay. Well located. Minutes walk to the Festival Theatre. The room we stayed in was large by comparison to others we have experience. It contained all the standard amenities, including a bar refrigerator. And it was clean and well kept. Thank the excellent housekeeping staff for that. There is a lounge on the main floor for relaxing or nibbling. There is also a dining area for breakfasts and dinners. The breakfasts we had were very good. And again, the lounge and dining staff went out of their way to make us feel special. Last but not least the attentive front desk staff made for an easy arrival and check-out and happily answered any questions we had to orient ourselves to the hotel and the area. Good for families, seniors, and in-betweens.

    5
    « Great Staff »

Very easy checking in and the front desk staff was helpful in suggesting places to eat. The cleaning staff did a great job and filled in our requests for extras such as coffee pods, creamers and sweetners.

    4
« Trip to the Stratford Festival »

We went to see Tartuffe and The Changeling at Stratford. We just spent the one night at the Arden Park. The staff are efficient and courteous. Service is quick even when busy. Room was clean and spacious (two double beds). We both found the mattresses very comfortable. There is plenty of parking. we have stayed here before and will stay here again.

    4
    « A Theatre Based Holiday »

A great way to enjoy the many shows Stratford has to offer, plus restaurants all within walking distance. The Hotel has a good dining room too, available at all hours it seems. Our room on the 4th floor was quiet and cool, no noise from the parking lot below. This is the 3rd year we have used this hotel to enjoy our Shakespeare fix plus a musical.

    5
« Home away from home »

After many years away, we have returned to Stratford, ON to attend the festival. We chose BW Arden because of location and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the Sunday brunch is wonderful and the location is perfect. Definitely will book again next year.

« Great place to stay »

The hotel was very nice Getting to the hotel was a breeze and parking was easy. The service was great and the food was exceptional.a good place to stay. The rooms were very large and spacious. The only reason I did not give it 5 circles is i fou d it a little too high priced .sorry about that.

    5
    « Beautiful Clean hotel »

Lovely suite for a party of 5. Two comfortable Queens and a nice pull out couch. Very comfortable space, furniture, layout. We loved the two couches in the additional room and sat there to watch the news. The whole place was spotless. Awesome stay!

    4
« Nice Hotel with a Quibble or Two »

Four night stay to attend the Stratford Festival. Great location (walking distance to the Festival Theatre), nice large rooms, quiet, good climate control, and comfortable bed. Internet service was fantastic, although I think Canadian hotels in general have an edge over the US in internet service. There is a full service restaurant on premises (we did not try it) and free coffee in the rooms and lobby. The front desk staff is excellent. Just a couple niggles. After a day of activities we returned to the room at 4:30 PM only to find it had not yet been made up. We noticed housekeeping still working on the floor after 7 PM. It doesn't seem too much to ask to have a made up room by 2-3 PM. Also, the flow of water in the shower was VERY low. Given the price paid that could have been a bit more generous. Those issues aside, this remains one of the better hotels in town. We will stay here again when next we attend the Festival.

    5
« Our visit to Stratford area »

The Arden Hotel was a great place to stay in Stratford in terms of location and facilities. The hotel has attractive décor and very friendly staff. Our room was spacious and clean with all of the amenities that you would want.

    5
« Great location with Awesome Staff »

We checked in and got a nice clean room on the 2nd floor, however the outside view was not great. We called the front desk and they immediately got us a room on the 5th floor and told us if for any reason we didn't like it, to let them know and they would try to get us a different one. We love the one on the 5th floor and really enjoyed our stay there. They also advised us on how to get discount tickets for the theatre and recommended places to visit in the area.

    5
    « Stratford »

The BW Stratford is a very nice clean hotel, the décor is elegant and classy. The people are friendly, happy and helpful. The restaurant is good and reasonable. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

    5
« clean, modern, great location »

This hotel is within walking distance to the main theatre in Stratford and a 20 minute walk to the downtown area. It is the only hotel I now consider on my yearly trip to Stratford and the Shakespearean Festival.

    4
    « Best West Plus »

Decent hotel near town center. Plenty of parking. Restaurant on site though plenty in town and nearby. Very comfortable room. Try to get a room away from the elevators as the landing area has a very noisy tile floor.

    3
    « Ho Hum Night »

My husband and I stayed here for a one night getaway. We booked a corner room with a queen bed, fireplace and a jacuzzi tub. The decor in the room had been recently updated which was nice. However, the fireplace was disappointing. As far as electric fireplaces go, it was a poor example. The jacuzzi tub was nice but again very disappointing as it was relatively small. It's perfect for one person but it's a tight fit for two and we are not large people. There is wifi in the hotel but again it was disappointing. In fact it was pretty terrible. I think I managed to get on it once but was immediately kicked off. We tried other devices and found the same problem. It's disappointing especially in this day and age. Our rate included breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. We were seated relatively quickly but it took a long time for our server to take our order and even longer to get our drinks. I had to bother another server just to get coffee. And when our waiter came with our food he didn't even notice he hadn't brought our drinks. It was busy but not overly busy as there were a number of empty tables and several servers. Getting the bill was also an ordeal. We are not picky people and have more patience than most but our breakfast experience left a bad taste in our mouth. Given the o.k. room and our morning experience, I think we will try elsewhere for overnight accommodations next time we are in Stratford.

    « Excellent hotel - very comfortable »

The whole experience was great really - wonderful hotel, beautiful room, comfortable bed. We had a suite and my daughter slept on couch, which she said was also comfortable, but there was a pull out bed she didn't bother to use. Overall, I will stay again anytime I am in Strafford and will make it my yearly go-to hotel for the Festival!

« Excellent hotel for Shakespeare Festival »

Four of us stayed here for our annual visit to Stratford for the Shakespeare Theatre. The hotel is modern, with generous bedrooms and baths. The beds were exceptionally comfortable with five different pillows to choose from on each bed (we had two queen size beds). There is plenty of parking with a main covered entry and a side entry. Breakfast was either from the buffet or a la carte and was fine - the muffins were especially good. There is an indoor pool and a very small gym. The hotel is only a ten-minute walk from the river which was perfect for a long morning or afternoon walk. It is also minutes from the theatres, which was convenient. Staff were super friendly and we will stay again next year. There are many little B&Bs and inns in Stratford which are lovely and have exquisite breakfasts, but we like the convenience of a modern and fully equipped bath with wifi that works very well and it did at the Arden Park Hotel.

    5
    « Great Experience »

We were very pleased with our experience at the Arden Park Hotel in Stratford for our First Annual Sisters Weekend. From check-in, where a request for keys to be made available to the sisters still to arrive was quickly organised. We found the room to be spacious, clean, attractive and comfortable. The restaurant was affordable and the food delicious. The staff at the hotel, including the restaurant, was welcoming and willing to assist us. Couldn't have a better experience for our weekend.

    « Excellent Hotel »

While attending a wedding, which was held in one of the reception rooms at the Best Western Arden Park Hotel, we stayed a couple of days in this hotel. Our room was very spacious, clean, quiet and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant is also very good. We had breakfast there one morning and the service and food was very good. We also stayed for the Sunday Brunch after the wedding. There was lots of different food items to choose from, including freshly cooked omelettes and waffles.

    5
« Our Stay at Stratford Ont »

Staff very courteous and friendly. Meals affordable and delicious with our waitresses most helpful and sincere in their duties. Rooms were attractive and very restful in between our sight-seeing and theatre trip.

    « Favorite Stratford Hotel »

We've visited the Stratford Festival annually since 1995 and have stayed at the Arden Park Hotel since it opened around 2000. The location is an easy walk to the Festival Theatre. We also enjoy the slightly longer walk to the other theatres or downtown shopping. The rooms are large, comfortable, quiet, and well decorated. The staff provide efficient and friendly service. The hotel restaurant offers a full breakfast menu, including a buffet on most days. The free WiFi is fast and reliable. The hotel offers free parking with a very large lot; even on evenings when a wedding or other event is using one of the banquet rooms, we have never had a problem finding a parking space. We're sure to return to the Festival next year and will be staying at the Arden Park again.

    5
    « Excellent Value »

We have been staying at this hotel since it's opening and have always found the service and hotel service superb. We've stayed at Hiltons, Blu Radissons, Sheratons etc., but this hotel has always had the best service. The rooms, restaurant and lounge have all provided excellent value. You can have a great roast beef dinner and a drink and not break the bank, as a Hilton would do. It is also right next to the Stratford Festival theatre where you'll find first rate drama.

    5
    « Luxurious stay »

The rooms are decorated beautifully and the beds are extremely comfortable. I liked that we could open the window in our room. The food in the hotel restaurant is excellent and the staff throughout the hotel are very friendly.

    5
    « Arden Park Hotel »

The hotel is neat and clean, and the suites are a comfortable home away from home. Staff is knowledgeable about the city and the Stratford Festival, and able to recommend activities and restaurants. Check in/out is easy, as is reserving rooms for future dates. The restaurant--food is good, and hostesses and wait staff are attentive and pleasant.

    5
« Great hotel in Stratford! »

I have visited with my friends and rented the suite in the west wing. This was our third trip to this hotel and we find Arden Park consistently providing clean, spacious rooms, delicious breakfast/brunch, and excellent service! Thank you!

« Love the Arden park hotel »

Been going here for years but we do miss the free tennis. We also wish there were safes in the room but otherwise such a nice and convenient place to stay to enjoy the theater experience. The restaurant and lounge are great. Very popular place

« Nice Stay for Three Nights »

We stayed at this hotel for three nights while attending Stratford Festival events. The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable. The room has a modern, updated feel. Only cleanliness issue was stains on the shower curtain. The room had a mini fridge and microwave that I used due to dietary issues. These were clean and worked well. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was free and easily accessible. The hotel is only a few minutes drive to most activities. it was occasionally noisy with children--but this seemed under control by later in the evening. We would definitely stay here again!

    5
« Good prices off season »

Theatre season is expensive in Stratford but we came for a romantic getaway in March. Many places jack up the prices on March break but we scored the King Suite for not much more than the regular room. Very spacious and the restaurant was a pleasant surprise.

    1
« WOULD HAVE STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE »

Our room was not ready until after 6 pm the time of check in said after 3 pm. The front desk said that the maids had been working since 6 am which is not our problem what was our problem was that for the price of the room we were left to wait until the room was ready. We heard another customer at the front desk at the time who had asked why he had been out of his room since 10 am and at 6 pm his room still was not cleaned. if we had known that the check in time was so late we would have stayed somewhere else

    5
« Wonderful location and room »

Was here for 2 days in August for business. Hotel was booked solid and no wonder. Location is close to downtown (within walking distance). Every morning you can walk through a lovely old neighbourhood to the Festival Theatre and along the river through the park. Beautiful. The room was just as beautiful. Nicely furnished, big bathroom, and lots of room in the King room. Even though my room was across from the elevator there was none of the usual racket you normally hear. Room and hotel very clean. Although I did not use it they have a pool and exercise room. I did not eat in the hotel restaurant although the menu looked good and it was reasonable. I will stay here again when not on business.

    5
    « Great family hotel »

I highly recommend getting the 1 bedroom king room! Bathroom access from both bedroom and living area. Microwave and coffee maker! The restaurant has exceptional food that won't deliver ( but they call you when it's ready) try the smoked meat sandwich! The pool area was clean and perfect for kids!

    5
    « Always a good stay »

We stay here every year when we come to see plays in Stratford. Our room is always ready when we arrive, exceptionally helpful staff, a good restaurant for breakfast and lunch and close to everything in Stratford. The prices tend to be a bit on the high side and breakfast is not included, but the breakfast buffet price is quite reasonable. It would be nice to have breakfast included at the price charged for the room.

    4
« Special time with our Grandchildren »

When it comes to our Grandchildren, only the best is necessary! A safe, clean and comfortable place to spend special time with them. They loved the play, the time in the pool and the donuts at Tim Horton's. Life is good.

    4
    « Very Comfortable »

I booked a room here to attend a wedding in Stratford. It was a very comfortable stay. The location was also ideal. It would have been nice if breakfast were included, but there is a nice restaurant to buy breakfast in the lobby.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

The staff were helpful and friendly and our room was very nice with a good sized bathroom. Loved our stay here and we'll be back the next time we are in Stratford.. There is a restaurant as well where we had breakfast in the morning. Reasonably priced and very good.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

The hotel was great. Great room, friendly staff, and very modern interior appearance. The prices tend to be higher because it is one of the few hotels in town and the Stratford Festival brings in a lot of travelers. For business it was perfect. I may look for cheaper accommodations if I were to come for pleasure.

    « Great place »

Excellent king suite. Good service & restaurant food is good with wide selection and reasonably priced. Staff is courteous and helpful. Allowed us to check in early making our stay more relaxing. Pool was well maintained and enjoyable. Bed was very comfortable. King suite was large with lots of room and bedroom was separate from the living room and kitchenette.

    4
« Good location for theater and restaurants »

This is standard Best Western - clean and serviceable, friendly staff. Short walk to Festival Theater, slightly longer walk to downtown Stratford. Certainly one of the most reasonably priced places in the area.

    5
    « Great hotel »

We were in Stratford for a wedding. The hotel location is in walking distance to the Festival Theatre. It is also close to shopping & downtown by car. Parking is very ample. Rooms are large & clean. Restaurant is good with a very popular Sunday Brunch. They have a very nice pool, hot tub & fitness centre

    5
« Terrific value for the money--excellent hotel! »

The Best Western Plus was about half the price of a "fancy" hotel, but was far more comfortable than the fancy one we stayed in last year. Spacious rooms, fine restaurant (VERY convenient and the food is very good) , excellent staff--superb value for the money, and just a few minutes away from the Festival and Tom Patterson theaters. the Avon is downtown--six or seven minutes away! GO!

    4
« Great place to stay »

I just recently checked out of the Arden Park Hotel and it was extremely welcoming and friendly. The lunch was fantastic and are room was great! On the other note today as we were leaving as were a few other people on our floor we had heard some yelling between a couple of the employees in one of the rooms. It sounded as if one of them was cursing and swearing at the other quite a lot. As we were getting on the elevator the yelling seemed to continue and it wasn't the greatest thing to listen to as we were leaving.

    4
« Attractive chose in Stratford »

Lots of parking, handy to down town, theater area. Good rooms and very efficient staff. Would stay there again Mid range price wise. Good breakfast, indoor swimming pool Will accommodate large groups, weddings

    5
« A Great Place to Stay in Stratford »

Excellent amenities available at this Best Western Plus Hotel, very close to Stratford Festival theatres, and to the parkland by Avon River. The rooms are well furnished, very clean bathrooms, provides free high-speed internet through Wi-Fi. The rates are slightly higher than average, but BW reward points should help with the billing.

    5
    « Convenient for plays »

Great location for the Festival Theatre - go each year and see several Shakespeare plays - Romeo and Juliet and Twelfth Night this year - Guys and Dolls was excellent as well - great fun every year - use up my Aeroplan miles with Best Western gift cards

    5
« Good value. Convenient location. »

Excellent hotel. Would strongly recommend for anyone visiting Stratford for pleasure or business. All facilities were exceptionally clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the Pool and Hot tub and the Sunday Brunch was amazing. Friendly staff and very convenient location, with loads of free parking.

    3
« Great Staff, Smell in Room »

Upon check-in the staff was very helpful and polite, very high professionalism. The room itself, needed some updates (nothing major), but it did have a very strong odour to it. I wanted to report this to the staff, but staying at hotels 6-9 times a month, when the house is full, there is no room to be moved around. This time I used my points for the room and it was 28,000pts, as I said, the staff was awesome but the room was NOT worth those points or 250$ per night.

  • 5
    « Excellent hotel »

Hotel is within walking distance to the festival theatre and the park, There is plenty of parking at the hotel, and the downtown attractions are just a short drive away. Hotel has been redecorated and is very nice. Staff and the restaurant are excellent!

    5
    « excellent stay »

The Best Western Arden Park Hotel, Stratford provides an excellent stay. You can easily walk to the Festival Theatre, a park for children and the river for a picnic. The hotel is clean, attractive and staff are very friendly. Excellent breakfast in the restaurant. Hotel pool provides great recreation.

    5
« reliable comfort and convenience »

We always stay here when we visit the Stratford Festival. The location, service, amenities and value are excellent. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is reasonably priced but, nevertheless, should be included in the room cost as it is in most Best Western Plus properties. That being said, it offers a pleasant dinner menu at reasonable prices.

    4
« Clean, no noise, good staff »

Arrived 2:30 with pet schnauzer, everything was smooth in terms of staff recommendations for dinner and the pet. Would have preferred a room with a view that did not include a rooftop air-conditioner (room 219 btw) Pillows feather, foam would have beem nice if an option. lots of towels, would return Free wifi available computers were nice too. Restaurant-not-so-much Coffee maker didnt work and tv had only the rogers remote: impossible to turn on captions

    4
« Nice place close to Festival Theatre. »

This hotel is very convenient for anyone attending the Stratford Shakespearean Festival. All venues can be reached by either a short drive or a in the case of the Festival Theater and Tom Patterson Theatre a leisurely 30 minute stroll. The hotel has ample wheelchair parking, year round pool, hot tub and fitness center. The on site restaurant offers a reasonably priced breakfast buffet as well as extensive lunch and dinner menus. We always stay here when visiting Stratford.

    5
« great trip to the Shakespeare Festival »

Great hotel. We always stay there. Good parking. Good location. Good workout room. Good pool. Great lobby coffee maker. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. All other guests were friendly and happy, it seemed.

    5
    « Wonderful hotel »

We stayed here for business and I was delighted - the rooms were top class, beds were a delight. My room had a fridge and coffee maker. One issue I have is that the hotel chain is "green," yet every Best Western paper mug is wrapped in plastic which seems a crazy waste of resources. Just put in proper mugs. Staff were incredible and we had a great stay. Free wifi and parking.

    5
    « Great choice! »

Unfortunately we were only there for 1 night because the Arden Park Best Western is one of the better 3.5-4 star "chain" hotels that we have stayed in anywhere. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable although we did find the mattress to be a bit too firm and the pillows a bit too soft...but that is nit-picking. The TV offered a good variety of channels and the complimentary WiFi worked well. Our request for an early check-in was honoured even though the hotel was fully booked. We did not dine in their restaurant but did take advantage of the lounge for a late evening drink. It is conveniently located for festival goers with the theatre being a short walk away. We will definitely stay there again.

    5
    « three day get-away »

The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were friendly and efficient. The location was perfect as we could walk to our plays and shopping and restaurants. The restaurant in the hotel was quiet and comfortable. The food was fine - some items much better than others. More variety in dinner options would be nice. Also some Best Western hotels offer a free buffet breakfast which is always appreciated. Our room had a plumbing problem and we were moved immediately with little inconvenience. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. When visiting Stratford I would definitely stay at the Arden again.

« A nice place to stay when visiting Stratford »

We've stayed here a few times when we've attended plays at the Stratford Festival. Very clean hotel, nice friendly staff, reasonable breakfast. Nicely appointed rooms and close to the Festival theatres and the downtown area.

« Excellent Hotel. Superior service! »

My family stayed at The Arden Park at the end of April and had an amazing time. It has been quite some time since I've been at a hotel where I didn't feel like I was being rushed out the door. I went with my elderly parents and my family of four. The hotel made the arrangements to have my parents on the same floor as us and close to our suite. The room was clean. The beds comfortable. The staff very friendly. The pool was heated. The Sunday buffet was delicious. We felt very welcomed and when I return, I can't think of any other place I would rather stay. It was an amazing experience. The hotel was close to the Stratford Theatre and restaurants.

    5
    « Best Western Plus .. Plus..Plus! »

Stayed here for a softball tournament! It's got to be the finest Best Western's out there! Rivals any Hilton or Marriott of equal size. We were very impressed with the size of the rooms and washrooms. Room was super clean. Highly recommended!!

    4
    « Somewhat Happy »

All in all the hotel was very nice.Staff at front desk need more training in how to make their customers happy.Rooms were large, clean, and had everything you need for a comfort stay.I wish they had a continental breakfast of some sort besides a full service restaurant off lobby.

    5
« Stratford Festival Theatre and Arden Park Best Western »

My spouse and I had a lovely time at the Arden Park Best Western. We were able to walk a fast and easy 5 minutes to the Straftford Festival Theatre which was fabulous! The drinks were fast and the service exceptional after the theatre in the bar/lounge. The drinks were a great value! The bed was comfortable, room was clean, and the bathroom was well equipped and large. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning the restaurant which has plenty of options - this is usually a difficult issue as I am a vegan but lo and behold - oatmeal and berries and other items were affordable and tasty! We will certainly return in the future and would recommend this hotel to any of our friends and family!

    2
    « Accessible Room issue »

Accessible room was too far from elevators and door too heavy to open for a person on crutches. I don't know how someone in a wheelchair would have done it. Breakfast was mediocre- omelette was good but toast soggy and home fries tough and cold.

    4
    « great family spot »

rooms and service were great. Second time we have stayed here, and have no hesitation recommending this spot. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Parking is around the outside of hotel and safe and secure.

« Our Stratford Arden Park Visit! »

This is a very good quality hotel. This hotel is well maintained with excellent rooms and a fine dining experience. We have often stayed at the Arden Park and we do so every time we travel to Stratford to view the many plays put on by the Stratford acting company. The hotel is central to our enjoyment of our entire Stratford experience.

When enjoying a get-away to musicals and plays at Stratford we enjoy staying at the Arden Park. It is within walking distance of the Festival Theater. The accommodations are comfortable. The restaurant is very good.

« Good hotel with BAD WiFi service. »

Overall, the best hotel property in Stratford, but I will not stay there again because: 1) Bad WiFi service - Laptops don't connect to internet. 2) No chairs or sofas with arm-rest - extremely uncomfortable to sit in the room.

    « Restaurant »

My group booked the private room at the restaurant in advance for 25 people for 7pm. We had ONE server. She was stressed & did her best to keep up, but that was unacceptable. We were rushed to choose our food because the chef quit cooking at 8 pm. I had the chicken special- the chicken was dry, the rolls were dried out and the mashed potatoes were dry and had a strange flavour. The salad was very good. Excellent food and service at breakfast

    « Very good hotel »

We enjoyed our night's stay there. We would definitely go back. It was a very short walk to the festival theatre which we enjoyed. The hotel was very clean and we enjoyed the bar and breakfast the following morning.

    « Great Hotel »

We recently stayed at the Best western in Stratford. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was great, the beds were comfy, the staff at the resturant and bar were fabulous and we had a great overall experience.

    « Very nice hotel »

The BW Arden Park Hotel in Stratford ON is very nice in all aspects. It is very clean, everyone is very friendly and helpful. I think it is the best hotel in the area. Love the hot chocolate available 24/7 in the lobby :)

    « Soccer Tournament »

Great Place, Great Rooms. Soccer team visited for 2 nights. Our only complaint is we weren't all in the same wing, but all in all we had a great time. Kids loved the pool, it was close to downtown, close to the park and easy to get to. Would definetly recommend

« Wonderful trip to Statford staying in a wonderfull Hotel »

My wife and I along with a couple friend booked two rooms at this hotel. Seems like the hotel, now a Best Western Plus has undergone quite a renovation and we were impressed with the hotel, staff and rooms. Very quiet and enjoyable close to the Theatre and downtown. We will return.

« Double charge for a room that was prepaid »

Overall good quality, excellent appointed rooms and good buffet for breakfast. Excellent checked in and out until I got my statement I was double charge as I had already prepaid for the room. I doubt I will get my money back, but I will tell that story every chance I get. STAY AWAY !!!!!!!

    « Festival Visit »

We pulled up to this hotel that was easily found along the main road. Reception had us in our room quickly. They offered us information on anything we needed. Our room was large with two queen beds. We were able to store snacks in the mini frige. The most amazing experience came when I decided to book a pre show dinner at the onsite restaurant. The food is all freshly prepared using fresh ingredients. It was a fantastic dinner. We left happy as we headed to see Guys and Dolls. After the show we had dessert in the pub area and again the cherry pie I chose was a delight. We spent a pleasant night with no disturbances. The washroom served us well to freshen up. After breakfast we prepared to check out and set off to see the matinee of Twelfth Night. The hotel is walking distance to the Festival Theatre. I thought this was one of the best hotel, experiences My family and I have had and we would return again soon for more pampering.

« A great place to stay for the Stratford festival. »

First of all, this hotel is an easy walk to the Festival Theater (around 10 mins.) and not a bad walk into town (all level, but it is a distance). Our room had two very comfortable queen beds and was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was very spacious as well. It all looked quite new. It is across the street from Romeo's Corner Cafe (which is where we had dinner before walking to the evening show) and it is next to the Bruce Hotel, which offers breakfast, lunch, dinner, and "after show" bites. We didn't eat there, but I mention it just to let you know that there are options. (We opted to have coffee/pastries at Balzac's coffee shop in town for breakfast.) We would definitely stay here again!

« Comfortable and great staff »

Very comfortable and friendly hotel. Convenient to down town shopping. Wish they had room service and better quality TVs. Also need better tv channels. Apparently hotel is addressing these issue. Would always choose this hotel when in Stratford.

    5
    « Very nice suite »

The one bedroom suite was spacious with a segregated bedroom. Good, clean bathroom. Courteous staff. They were right on top of things when we asked. Parking spots were always available even with a full hote.

    « Enjoyable Girls' Lunch »

Recently had lunch at the Best Western Arden Park restaurant and I was very pleased with the quality of the food. There were several choices to select from the menu and the specials were carefully explained. The service was friendly and we ate in a pleasant atmosphere The salads were appetizing to the taste and appealing to the eye. The best part is that there is ample parking at the hotel! Would go back again. The hotel is well located in the town.

    4
« Good and well located. »

The Arden Park has been renovated some since becoming a Best Western Plus. I've stayed both earlier and now, and those renos are appreciated. Nice location, within walking distance of the Festival Theatre. The food at the in-house restaurant was surprisingly well done and well presented. We consider this the best hotel in town, but it has now become somewhat pricey. Can't blame them for taking advantage of us tourists, I suppose.

« Stay in Stratford Ontario »

Excellent hotel. Excellent Customer Service, Room was wonderful. , Food, Staff was superb. So friendly, helpful and attentive. The pool was lovely and relaxing. Atmosphere was marvelous. Will stay there always with going to Stratford.

    4
« Best Western Quality at a Very High Price »

The price is too high. The Arden Park Best Western is the only decent hotel in the town of Stratford so they have a monopoly. Not worth the $200 we paid. The room and the hotel were of the expected quality of a Best Western other than the air conditioner/heating unit which only has one level of fan speed which is high and noisy. For the price we paid I would have expected breakfast to be included but it wasn't.

    5
    « Wonderful experience »

This is by far the best hotel to stay at if contemplating a visit to Stratford Service cleanliness comfort and convenience are excellent and highly recommend the dining room for dinner Will certainly stay there in my future visits

    4
    « Mother's Day Brunch »

Very disappointed yesterday. The brunch menu is exactly the same as any other Sunday but priced much higher. There were two hot stations and they were exactly alike, they could have at least had two different meats. Too bad if you didn't like turkey. We always enjoy the salad bar but the dessert bar is a dismal disappointment. There was nothing homemade, everything looked like it came from a store. Don't think we will go back.

    5
    « Our Restful Retreat »

We love the newly updated rooms and variety of room styles. Staff is always helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves very good food and caters to my husbands gluten-free diet. Great location that enables you to walk to the Stratford Festival theatre or river walks

    4
    « Clean Hotel »

Stayed at hotel with family. Kids had fun in the pool area. There is a hot tub and small fitness room. Rooms were clean and maintained well. It appears the staff don't have their own elevators which can make them slow.

    5
« Great stay for a great price! »

We stayed in a king suite room, and were very pleased with the overall look and comfort of the room. The price was great for what we got! We were surprised with the "new-ness" of the room, considering the outside look of the building. We would stay here again for sure!

    3
    « OKAY - But Expensive »

Meah - you pay top buck because it's near the Stratford Festival Theatre. Service was average, room was clean - certainly nothing exceptional here - bed was HARD and who was the designer who thought that two 12 inch square pillows would offer anyone a good sleep? Who is the manager of this place? Because they need to take a HOSPITALITY course!

    « Best Best Western »

We love staying at The Arden Park Hotel Best Western in Stratford, Ontario. Always spotless, always great service. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is located close to the shops and restaurants of downtown; within walking distance, in fact.

    « Don't judge a book by its cover....a inn! »

I was involved in the Welsh Festival, it was held in the hotel, I was one of the vendors for the market for the weekend. I was originally disappointed driving up to the hotel....it was more hotel not the inn that I was looking for. My opinion changed as we entered the space and we started greeting the staff as well as the quaint sitting area with the fireplace. The gardens were nice with silk urns to add to the decor. Our rooms were spacious and well presented.Next time we would stay in a suite , they were very nice. I would have a pic showing the choice. The festival was three days, our stay was two nights and most of our of meals were in the dinning room. The food was excellent!

    4
    « Nice room »

Room was clean, server at bar was very nice. Restaurant staff very helpful. The ballroom for the sessions was spacious and the sound system worked well. Nice to have the coffee machine in the lobby and it even tasted like coffee.

    « Will never return »

The manager tried to tell me and my son's friends that they could not "jump" I'm the pool. When I asked where it said that was a rule he went and printed off a fake sign and taped it on the wall. Our ho key spent alot of money to stay here and we will move our business elsewhere next time.

« Everything went like clockwork »

The helpful staff and the pleasant environment made this a very special place for our meeting (the OGGA). i would not hesitate to recommend it. The bed was a bid hard for me, but that is a personal thing.

« Disappointment with food but facilities excellent »

All of the food that we ordered was served was cold, not hot as it should have been. The food service was extremely slow. The room that we had was excellent. We were upgraded (we have Best Western Rewards) because the hotel was full.

    5
« Very nice place for a reasonable amount »

Very friendly staff that can't do enough for you. Dining room staff are very responsive to needs and requests. Updates in the hotel make it a more modern place to stay. Late check in is no problem at all.

« Great beds, food and people »

Had to go to a wedding and this was where we stayed. This is a great place to place your head for the night. It's right in the heart of the city and close to everything. Walking is easy in this beautiful city.

    « Quick stay »

We checked in very late and was only there for the one evening, but the rooms were very comfortable and clean (recently renovated), the weekend night audit women was very accommodating and I was overall impressed with the hotel. I would definately recommend it to friends or family.

    « Average overall »

We have been going to The Arden Park for at least 10 years now for the Hotlead convention. The rooms are ok, although they seem nicer in the west wing. There are a fewf complaints to go along with the good aspects. Firstly, every year for our convention, which is in March, the bar runs out of draft beer on either the Friday night or sometime Saturday afternoon. The hotel should know that 300-400 men in are descending on their hotel, and perhaps they might like a beer. You would think running out one year, they would not make the same mistake the next, yet every year its the same. This year they ran out of Okanagan by Saturday afternoon. Its just silly that they don't plan for this when they know from years past how many people on average come. Secondly, service in the restaurant is painfully slow. It can take far to long to get your dinner. It always seems like there is an adequate number of wait staff, so the problem would appear to be in the kitchen. This year our group of 8 people ate dinners and breakfasts at Romeo's next door. It was faster and I dare say the food was much better prepared. Lastly, our room this year was not cleaned up to the standard we are used too at this hotel. I noticed a sticky stain on the night table between the beds, obviously there from someone spilling a coffee. This sticky mess stayed there for the entire time we were there. Hardly reassuring. I would say that since the change in ownership, or affiliation, things have slipped somewhat, though surprisingly the price hasnt gone down.

« Great value for great service »

Michael was very polite, warm and welcoming. He explained everything we needed to know. His relaxing attitude made us feel right at home. The room attendant (s) met all our needs. A couple of times we ordered takeout from the downstairs restaurant, and the food was delicious!

    « Wonderful sray »

Stayed here for two nights for business and was very impressed. Rooms were very spacious, clean and modern. Bathrooms quite large and clean as well. Great selection of toiletries so if you forget cream or mouthwash you're ok! Everything was cleaned perfectly when I returned to my room for the second night. Great onsite restaurant with lovely bar. Ample parking and location is near many things including restaurants and a Walmart nearby! Great, friendly staff regardless if it's 7am or 10pm!

« Not the Best Western for our Weekend Away »

Over run with Kids so not much fun, not the Hotels fault of course but the PARENTS who let their young kids run the hall, call rooms, bang on doors, and take over hot tub and pool, next time will ask to be put on a floor without groups. Nice room, coffee in lobby nice, would recommend as it is close to downtown, just not happy after calling desk at midnight and asking someone to come up and tell the parents of the wild kids who were now partying with doors open to please be quieter and no one came...

    5
« Perfect for Stratford Festival »

We liked staying here. Easy check in. Rooms were very spacious modern and clean. Enjoyed the close proximity to the Festival theater. Reasonable cist for what you get. We would stsy h3re again and recommend this property.

« Great place to stay »

Really nice hotel. Well situated close to downtown. The staff were great and very friendly. The room was comfortable and very clean. Stopped for a drink in the bar, fast and friendly service. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area.

« Annual family holiday brunch »

My family and I come here every year for a holiday brunch. It's a good spot to meet when everyone is coming from different places. Each year we rent out a private room and we enjoy their Sunday brunch. Brunch includes fruits, salad, fresh waffles, pancakes, an omelette station, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pigs tail. They also have a roast beef station with all the fixings and a dessert table. We are satisfied with the food and service each year.

    « Lovely Business Stay »

Needed a room for the night unexpectedly and how fortunate this hotel was recommended to me. The front desk staff were polite and very obliging, providing directions and arranging for a comfortable room. Enjoyed a tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant, complete with hot homemade soup and the daily special, all were nicely presented and well prepared. Enjoyed the rice pudding for dessert and it was delicious. Breakfast was quick and delicious, and an excellent way to start a busy morning. Would return again if in the area, and have recommended to colleagues.

    « Very nice hotel »

We were attending a wedding Saturday and had requested a early check in if possible which they had ready when we arrived. The rooms are very nice and clean. Receptionist was helpful with check in and check out. We had breakfast there on Sunday morning service was excellent along with the breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    4
    « Quick Retreat »

Lovely hotel, not fancy but well maintained and extremely comfortable. All the appointments are well done and feels like a much more expensive hotel. The location is a 5 minute walk from the Festival Theatre, left our car parked at the hotel and walked, so no hassle finding a parking spot. We will return next year.

    2
    « disappointing »

I have stayed here before, and always had a good experience, however this time was different. It did not look as if the room had been cleaned properly. Around the sink had not been wiped, and I doubt if the sheets were changed as I found an earring in the bed. Someone needs to double check that the basics are being taken care of at this level of hotel.

    3
    « Clean comfortable hotel »

Typical chain hotel, clean and well maintained, no surprises. Great location if you are in Stratford for the festival. Within walking distance to the Festival Theatre. One disappointment, sat at the bar, one server walked in, got drinks and left, said nothing to me.....

    4
« Good location for Shakespere Festival »

We were headed for two presentation at Stratford's end of season plays when we found this location. Easy to find with an on property restaurant which was great after a long day's journey and a swimming right across from the elevator. Clean and comfortable rooms. No complimentary breakfast but delicious options. Parking was a bit of an issue as there was a Friday night local women's celebration in competition for space. Walking distance through a park to the Festival Theater was a plus.

    4
« Mostly very good value »

Great location, clean updated facilities, congenial, helpful staff, free parking, but disappointed that there is no breakfast included for $212.00 one-night charge as at other Best Western locations. Frustrated I was not able to use Air Miles points (couldn't wait on the phone for 2 days awaiting Air Miles service) but otherwise a very good stay.

    5
    « Great hotel! »

Very nice and reasonable hotel. Staff friendly and always looking to help. Breakfast waitstaff especially cheerful. close to the downtown and all areas of interest in Stratford.. In house restaurant is ok too...

    « Anniversary Weekend »

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel. It is newly renovated and just lovely. The food in the dining room is excellent and the Sunday brunch is one of the best! We've already booked for next year!

    5
    « Still a Great Hotel »

Stayed here prior to it becoming a Best Western. So glad to see it hasn't changed. Everything - rooms, staff, reasonably-priced breakfast, pool - are still wonderful. As there were three of us, we upgraded to a suite which was provided more room and privacy, well worth the extra $30 (we were only staying one night). It is a bit of a walk to town, but only a few minutes stroll to the Festival theatre, where we were seeing play. Will definitely stay again.

    « Absolutely Fabulous Suite »

My husband and I stayed for a special three day break in Stratford, and we were completely wowed by our newly updated king suite and the general location of The Arden Park Hotel. The living room, bathroom and bedroom were very nicely decorated and modern. The coffee machine, fridge and microwave were very useful. Best feature? The hotel is dog friendly which is very refreshing in this day and age. Our suite was on the second floor next to the back stairs which led to the parking lot. This was very useful for taking our dog for his bathroom break, and not having to go in the elevator and through the front reception. We are very much looking forward to visiting again soon. Bravo!

    « Family get together »

Excellent room with king bed and lots of pillows. Very comfortable and clean. Bathroom has deep tub and rainfall shower head which felt great after a long days work. Nice sitting area with sofa and table and chairs Friendly check in I would highly recommend a stay here

    « Beautifully updated rooms »

We booked last minute to make a short getaway out of plans for an afternoon show on Saturday. This hotel did nothing but impress us. The lobby, pool area, restaurant and hallways are all modern and clean. The room- we booked the King suite - was spacious and recently updated. The pull out couch - brand new - was perfectly sized for our nine and eleven year old to sleep together. The bathroom is huge! Jet tub and double granite sinks, heat lamp, and upscale decor bring it together. We really enjoyed the bed as well-very comfortable mattress. The thermostat works well and the air conditioner is rather quiet, not like some other places we have stayed! Only thing I might suggest for improvement is to have the option to request firm pillows, as we found the pillows a bit soft. Great experience overall.

    5
    « excellent stay »

The Arden Park Hotel is a very comfortable hotel with very nice staff. It has everything you could want at an affordable price. It is within walking distance of the Festival Theatre and easy driving distance of the other theatres. It is also close to the park at the river. It was a very nice stay.

    4
    « Very Good Choice »

I found The Arden Park Hotel to be very comfortable. My guest room was a quiet room. The hotel has very professional staff in reception and the restaurant. The menu was very good at the restaurant and lounge.

    « Very good experience »

I've stayed here on several occasions and it's always been a great experience. Hotel is modern, clean and quiet. Food in the restaurant is exceptional. Location is great with a walk downtown and to the theaters doable if you like to trek.

    5
    « Excellent »

We have been coming to this hotel for a conference in May for about 5 years now. The rooms have always been clean, and well kept. The elevators are slow for the amount of people in the conference, but patience is a virtue. The conference rooms are large enough for our needs. The restaurant has good food and service and is a good value for your money.

    5
    « Perfect »

We love it here. So clean and friendly. Plus pool and hot tub is fun. The room was very well appointed and maintained so well. By cheerful staff. Desk staff was always cheerful. Has become our "go to" place.

Clean rooms, spacious upgraded bathrooms and friendly service. What more is there to ask for? We enjoyed our stay and we will be back. Ideal location to the Festival theater. Definitely within walking distance.

« Great Location - very large suites »

Desk was very helpful, the suites were large, clean, well-appointed, and very reasonable. Quiet and very close to the Festival Theatre. A little ways from downtown so we drove and parked there. We will definitely stay here again!

    « Enjoyable »

Overall the experience was excellent as always! Very clean atmosphere, rooms are fantastic. Restaurant is 90% excellent food. Lounge & Bar is GREAT! Stratford has always captured a huge part of my heart due to the Hotel and the ongoing Theatres.

    4
« Nicely renovated and very comfortable »

This hotel has been purchased by the Best Western Plus chain and has been recently renovated. The rooms are comfortable, the location is great for walking to the theatre (10 minute walk at most) and the staff is very friendly. They have a large restaurant on site and a bar area. You can eat in the bar area if the dining room is full.

    5
    « Good value »

Efficient desk, clean room, quiet, close to the Festival Theater. I usually stay in a B&B or an inn when traveling to Stratford, but I enjoyed this stay. Close (15-20 minute walk) to downtown. Didn't eat there, but the restaurant had a decent crowd.

    4
« Very clean, newly renovated »

We normally stay at B & B's when visiting Stratford, but this time decided to try a hotel. The hotel is walking distance (10 minutes) from the Festival Theatre. We were pleasantly surprised....our room was spacious and meticulously clean. Even the television remote control was sanitized and in a sanitized bag !!! Impressive! The bed/pillows were extremely comfortable and the towels were new and fluffy!!! The room was equipped with a bar fridge and a Keurig coffee maker! There was complimentary coffee available in the lobby, as well. We had breakfast in the hotel coffee shop, and the service and food was very good!

    5
« Fantastic staff and only a 5 min walk to the Festival Theater »

My husband and I went to Stratford to see MacBeth and were looking for a clean, well maintained hotel that was within walking distance of the theatre. This hotel was one of the closet ones, so we took a chance and were not disappointed with our choice. We had a king suite. The room was clean, well lit, and very spacious. There was a small bistro table for two, a desk, a sitting area with a large sofabed, tv & 3 chairs with foot rests, a large counter with a full length mirror, a mini fridge, a microwave and a Keurig machine, a bathroom with a separate shower and jacuzzi tub, and the separate bedroom with a dresser, night tables, tv and a bench. Although the hotel was fully booked, our room was pretty quiet. The main dining room was full, so we ate dinner in the lounge. They were short staffed as they had an unexpected bus tour, but they pulled together to take care of everyone. Shout out to Curtis, who not only maned the bar, but served all the lounge tables. Despite the craziness he was professional, polite, and quite funny. So much so that we stopped back in for an after theatre coffee & slice of pie before heading to our room. Just as with dinner, Curtis was in tune with everyone. A couple at the bar was asking about the wineries in the area and Curtis had great insights and ideas. They were so good, the influenced us to stay in the area an extra day to check them out! If you are going to Stratford and need a clean, welcoming place to stay that's reasonably priced and filled with friendly staff, then this is the place to stay! I know I will be back for sure!

    « Very comfortable. »

We were travelling with our dog and chose to stay here as the hotel is pet friendly. This is a clean, comfortable, well appointed hotel. Our room was very spacious.. nicely furnished with comfortable beds and pillows and nice bed linen. There was a fridge but no microwave. The bathroom was also a good size... immaculately clean and with modern fixtures. Good shower. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance to downtown area and the Festival theatre. There are also some restaurants and shops close by. The hotel does not have rooms on the ground floor so for those travelling with pets it means staying on upper levels and having to take elevator or stairs to take pet in and out. There is ample grassy space around the hotel for dogs. There is a surcharge for pets. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

    3
    « Beware the Reuben »

We had lunch which was marred by the worst Reuben sandwich I have ever tasted...soggy soft pretzel bun, couldn't taste the sauerkraut. A far cry from Switzer's classic. On the other hand, the room was great and the restaurant service was good.

« Best hotel in Stratford! »

If you're going to stay overnight or for a few days in Stratford, this is definitely the hotel to choose. All of the staff are very polite and make sure you have what you need. Our room was amazing. It had a fireplace and deep soaking tub. The hotel is very beautifully decorated. We are definitely staying here every time we come. It's also close to many of the theatres, restaurants, and some shopping.

« Amazing Stay in Stratford »

This was my first ever trip to Stratford and we were only booked in for one night. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by super friendly Danielle at the front desk who also happened to be the one that took my reservation the week prior and remembered me right away. The room we had was very modern and clean. At first glance from the outside, the hotel doesn't look like much but it's a different story inside. The room was large and spacious and the beds were so amazing and comfortable. We slept like babies! We also had an opportunity to have dinner at the hotels restaurant which was very busy with pre-theatre diners. There wasn't an empty table in the whole place. The food was surprisingly good although our server could have been a but friendlier. All in all, I really loved this hotel and definitely plan to go back again. It's perfectly located just minutes from the Festival Theatre and the shops/restaurants downtown. The staff were friendly and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning on visiting Stratford.

    « only choice »

When we stay in Stratford we have always stayed at the Arden. Now that it is a Best Western it still doesn't disappoint. The location is great. If it hadn't rained we would have parked the car and walked everywhere until we checked out. It's our only choice.

« why we choose BW Stratford for the festival »

Location is important for the festival but when you combine it with the caring staff at BW Stratford you have to enjoy the experience. We have stayed with BW the past two years and look forward to more visits to Stratford.

    « Fantastic Hotel! »

We stayed for a single night at the Arden Park and just wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the hotel and surrounding area. ALL of the staff here are warm and friendly, like they are truly enjoying their job! The hotel is beautiful, very modern and the room itself was very very clean with more than a few steps above furnishings, decor and amenities. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but did hear that the food was very good. We had breakfast though and it was delicious, very well done AND reasonably priced. The pool area looked very nice, again clean and crystal clear water. Just a lovely 6 or 7 minute walk to the Festival Theatre this one is at the top our list for future visits!

    « Great Stay! »

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was close enough to downtown to make for a short drive to shopping and restaurants, but also extremely close to the Festival Theatre which made for an easy walk to and from.

« Nice well located hotel »

The staff was friendly. The room was large and spotless. Hotel is quiet and conveniently located near the Festival Theater, easy walking distance. Had breakfast there and enough in their breakfast bar to have a filling meal. Didn't have time for the pool, but looked nice.

« Perfect for the Festival Theater »

This Best Western is comfortable and convenient to the Festival Theater. One can walk to the theater and also enjoy the gift shop and beautiful gardens on the Shakespeare Festival grounds. The restaurant serves a variety of tasty foods and the bar is a fine spot for drinks pre- or post-show. There is a pool and a fitness room. We booked a suite which we loved. This is a fine hotel for enjoying a visit to the Shakespeare Festival in Stratford.

    « Great Suite! »

We have stayed here several years when attending the Stratford Festival and the hotel is the best it has ever been. The extension of checkout to cover some car problems was appreciated. We will be back again next year.

Wonderful hotel, delicious food, great prices. Our trip to the Stratford Festival to see three plays was lovely due in large part tto the Arden Hotel. We will be back and would definitely recommend this hotel in Stratford.

    « Great location. »

An easy walk to the Festival Theatre but you need transportation to go to downtown area. Rooms are large and clean, ample parking and a nice indoor pool. Had dinner in the restaurant and the food and service was very good.

    « Stratford Festival »

Stayed one night in Stratford to see a matinee and an evening theater performance. Hotel is within 1-2 Km of the theaters and the downtown area. Rooms were very large, parking is very accessible. Restaurant and lounge in the hotel

    « Close to Festival »

Great place to use as a base for touring the area and enjoying plays at the four theaters. Close enough to the Festival to walk. Nice restaurant with average prices. Great service at check-in. Safe area to walk around. Pool is an extra amenity. Large rooms. Especially love the king room with the sofa. Very comfortable for resting and relaxing. Will return the next time we come to the theater.

« Our stay in Stratford »

The hotel was great as was staff! Very helpful and accommodating! The bartender/ waiter at the hotel ,after seeing a performance of "As You Like It", made a great evening even better! We will definitely stay there again! Already booked for October!!

    « Nice Place »

Stayed one night for a wedding. Hotel is clean and spacious and has tons of parking. You are a five minute walk to the Festival Theatre and Avon River. We did have to change rooms as our first room overlooked the air conditioner and we did not like that. They changed our room no problem. Rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable and had a mini fridge. Everything was clean as well. We did not eat there but ate breakfast next door at Romeo's which was fantastic but prices in the restaurant looked reasonable. Walking to downtown will take about 10-15 minutes but it is on the same street so it's easy. Overall, this was a nice place to be.

« Nice place to stay »

This was a conveniently located, well appointed place to stay while visiting Stratford for a visit to the Theatre. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was warm and the hot tub was really hot :) The bed was very comfortable, and while we stayed in a suit, the whole hotel seemed very nice.

    « Excellent stay »

Very nice spacious rooms. Nice luxuries in bathroom like soaker tubs, rainfall shower, heat lamp to dry off under. Staff were very extremely friendly, and helpful. Great restaurant and lounge! Close to everything in town!

« Shakespeare Festival in Stratford »

The Arden Park is located very close to the Shakespeare Festival Theater and the park along the river. Parking is free and you can walk to the theater. We found the breakfast reasonably priced for a hotel.

    5
« Full service and close to the theatre »

Spacious room, all amenities, even an indoor pool you can swim in. Close to a number of restaurants. Seven minutes walk to the festival theatre. Bike right out of the parking lot to the river trail. An excellent stay.

« great value for king suite »

We stayed here 16 years ago and we thought it was nice then. It is a much bigger place now. The pool has not changed but it was and still is a good hotel pool. The restaurant was OK with wonderful ravioli but terrible calamari. Our room was exceptional for the price. It was a one bedroom suite with king size bed and a large sitting room plus kitchenette. The bathroom was massive. Unfortunately, there was some problem with water leakage onto the floor around the toilet. They "fixed" it once but it was back on the next day. However, after the second fix, the floor stayed dry. The staff were very helpful and responsive to our concerns about the bathroom and we did get a follow-up call after the second fix to make sure that all had been satisfactorily dealt with. We like to walk and this is a great location to walk to the Festival theatre in about 10 minutes. The Avon theatre downtown is a delightful 30 minute walk along the water. Good location. Great room. Good service.

    « Convenience and Elelgance »

The BW Arden Park is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the Festival Theatre and the river. On a nice day the downtown and the other theatres are well within walking distance. The hotel is very modern and quite spacious. It is the pleasant and caring staff which sets this hotel apart.

« Best place to stay for the Stratford Festival! »

The Arden Park Best Western has a super location; friendly, helpful staff; and is a nice, clean hotel. It's very convenient to the Festival Theatre and walking distance from the other venues. The breakfast is mediocre, but the hotel itself is great.

« Could be much better »

Service was very good. Room was nice and big. Bedsheets were ripped in two places, a small one under a pillow and another small one on the cover. Coffee was weak and tea was just Red Rose. Bathroom was clean, however the shower head was full of deposit. Wifi was ok, though sometimes it took some time before connecting. Location is good and we walked to all theatres, cafes and restaurants. It could be so much better with so little effort. Maybe they could learn from other chain hotels.

« Best Place to Stay in Stratford »

Very Large rooms in a full service hotel. Service was very good. Indoor pool, lots of parking, and a restaurant. By far these are the nicest accommodations in Stratford. Close to downtown, and some people even walk to the Festival Theatre.

    4
« Nice hotel and location »

This is a very nice hotel with more room and modern features when coming to Stratford. The location is very close to the the Festival Theatre which is only a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel So if all of your plays are at Festival then this is a good location. It is also away from downtown area but close enough to walk in 25 minutes. Heading East there is the commerce part of town which offers more chain style restaurants that many people don't even venture toward so you can save a few bucks and avoid long waits between plays.

    5
    « Very pleasant experience »

Enjoyed the stellar service, ease of check in, cleanliness of suite, pleasant interactions with staff, loved the coffee and real cream available in lobby and the central location to downtown Stratford.

    5
    « Stratford Theatre Experience »

Hotel is excellently situated for the Stratford Festival Theatre, and it is quiet, clean, comfortable. No problems whatever. We were there to go to six play performances in three days, so the amenities of the hotel (pool, dining room) weren't used.

    4
    « Nice spacious rooms »

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is nicely decorated with good amenities. The king room was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was clean and very large with a deep soaker tub. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the Stratford Festival Theatre. The breakfast in the on site restaurant was good but you may also want to try the cafe next door for great food and wider menu options.

    5
« A great place to stay in Stratford »

We were very satisfied with our stay at the Arden Park a hotel we moved to after staying at some lesser places in the past years. The room was clean and well-appointed and the bathroom spacious and clean with plenty of towels and a large vanity area. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the restaurant and were pleased with our choices. Servings were plentiful and tasty and the wait-staff friendly and helpful. It was great to have just a short walk to the Festival Theatre. The overall ambiance at the Arden Park helped to make this a very successful Stratford outing. We will definitely return.

    4
« Great place to stay but stay away from the restaurant for dinner »

Hotel was great and close to downtown Stratford and Festival Theatre. Check in/Check out staff very friendly and helpful. We had an unappetizing dinner at the hotel restaurant and the server was rude and accused us of bringing flies in with us and told us we should take them away with us when we leave. We got limp wet old lettuce and when we mentioned this to the server, she rolled her eyes and took the uneaten salad away without an apology or offer to replace the salad. The room was quiet and clean and the beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious. Great to have a bar fridge with a freezer included with the room and a beverage machine in the lobby for free hot drinks.

    5
« The Best in Stratford »

The Arden Park is the best hotel in Stratford. You are treated like an honored guest in their home. The staff are on their toes, well trained, friendly and knowledgeable. We already have reservations for next August, our 17th year of staying in the Hotel. We look forward with pleasure our next visit, and relish all of our past visits.

    « Really, a cut above »

A cut above, from the front desk to our room to the dining room. Our first visit to Stratford began with free parking followed by a very helpful front desk; these people know their town and will eagerly share detailed info on dining, theater, etc. Our room was all we hoped it would be... spacious and clean, well appointed, quiet. No free breakfast here but really, who cares? The dining room had a very good - and - very reasonably priced breakfast menu but the most pleasant surprise was the All Star duo of servers, Deb & Nora. These ladies were THE friendliest, most efficient breakfast team...superb! The hotel is an easy, short walk to the Festival Theater and is for us, a walkable (but not short) distance to the city center where most shops & restaurants are, however, we chose to drive to downtown because of a bum knee; it's just a few minutes and we had no trouble finding parking. No hesitation.. we'd stay here again!

« Great Location for Festival Theatre »

Apparently this hotel bought into the Best Western chain and had a huge renovation which was finished about 18 months ago. Previously we would have passed on staying here (old and horrible staff), but took a chance and were very pleasantly surprised. We had to wait a while before someone checked us in, but eventually we were given keys to a huge, excellent room with 2 queen beds and a large updated bathroom with good toiletries. Very comfy bed and pillows - all very clean, so thanks Housekeeping. Had dinner in the Lounge/bar area. Service was good, but being Sunday night there was no menu, just the choice of a buffet (very good) plus fish or chicken. Unfortunately it wasn't explained that we could have had either the buffet or either the fish/chicken. So we ended up with both salad bar and a full plate of fish and vegetables. Lots of food, but it was all very good and for an excellent price. We had breakfast in the dining room (good choices) and our server was delightful; nothing was too much trouble. On check-out the front desk clerk was very pleasant, professional and chatty. Even said she hoped to see us back again. Didn't get her name, but you guys need more like that woman as she made us feel appreciated! All in all, a great stay.

« Great option for Stratford »

I have not stayed in a Best Western since I was a child. What a pleasant surprise! The hotel was well-appointed, clean and modern. The beds were very comfortable, and the showers had good pressure. The location was a bit beyond the Festival theater, but still very walkable. Planning on switching my fall accommodations here after this experience.

    5
    « Another exceptional stay »

Another exceptional experience at a Best Western property! From the moment you check in with reception to the final drop-off of keys at the end of your stay, it's a pleasant experience. We've stayed at many other first-class hotels, but they don't compare with the overall experience, and exceptional value, we always have at Best Western

    5
    « Nice surprise »

I recently spent the night here with my two adult sisters. We had a queen suite with two double beds,tv and desk in the bedroom, and a double sofa bed, sofa and second tv in the sitting room. There was a coffee maker, sink and small frig. The decor was fresh and modern looking. The bathroom had a jetted tub and a walk in shower, which was perfect for one of my sisters with limited mobility. I was quite please with the accommodations.

    « Convenient Hotel »

« The Arden Park is Back!...and it Looks and Feels Great! »

The last time I stayed here, the hotel was dated and looked worn. Well......NOT ANYMORE! The hotel has been renovated and it looks awesome. The front desk staff were helpful and courteous (no problems on check-in or check-out). The room was nicely appointed, with an excellent temperature. The Keurig was a nice touch, with complimentary coffee and hot chocolate (also in the main lobby). The bathroom was spacious and nicely tiled. It looked fresh and inviting. The bed was very, very comfortable. Best night sleep in a long time, in a hotel! My daughter noted that the remote had been sanitized (much appreciated!) Congratulations, Arden Park! I love the re-do and I know I will return in the near future. Well done!

« A good choice close to the Festival Theatre »

We first stayed at the Arden Park a couple of decades ago when it first opened. We later opted for hotels closer to the center of town but returned to the Arden Park this year because my wife has had some mobility issues so avoiding stairs and having a restaurant on site for breakfast were important. That said, our room was spacious and the breakfasts were good quality. The hotel is also close to the Festival Theatre, though a little far from the other performance spaces

    5
    « All-Round Excellent »

The perfect choice for anyone visiting the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, this hotel has all one needs for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Restaurant service is excellent; rooms are nicely appointed; theatres and shopping a short walk away.

« Great Stay at the Best Western Plus Arden Park »

We enjoyed a one night stay here. The hotel has been renovated since our last visit and looks great. Our room was lovely, roomy and the bed was super comfortable. A Keurig machine in the room was a wonderful addition. Staff were warm, friendly and kind. Quick and easy check-in and check-out. Will return again for sure as it is so close to the Festival Theatre.

    « A Special Place »

Initially, I was disappointed that we had left our reservation requests too late to book a recommended Inn. However, we were very happy with the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel. Right from the welcoming by the young lady at the reception desk, everything was perfect - our clean, spacious room and bathroom, the beautiful pool which we swam in every morning, and the healthy choices on their menu in the restaurant. Although breakfast is not included in the room rate, the menu was reasonably priced. We had requested a quiet room, and that was what we got. The walking distances to all the theatres and shops were no more than twenty minutes. We have stayed in many Best Western Plus accommodations all over Canada, and have been completely satisfied. We will be back!

    5
    « Top notch! »

We've stayed at other hotels in the area but this is by far the best one for the value. Brand new rooms, excellent staff (including house keeping) within walking distance of theaters. Its a bit pricey even for high season but definitely worth it.

    « STRATFORD'S BEST KEPT SECRET »

The Sunday prime rib dinner is superb and comes with salad bar, desert bar and tea/coffee for a reasonable price. The also have a chicken and fish dinner as well. But the prime rib was to die for and the waitress was excellent.

    5
    « Great Value »

The newly renovated rooms at the hotel are tastefully decorated; service was impeccable, bathroom was beautifully appointed as was the entire room. The location is within walking distance to the Festival Theatre in Stratford. The hotel features a very nice restaurant as well. Although I didn't use the fitness center/pool area, there is one conveniently located on the first floor. Parking is available and complimentary on both sides of the property.

    5
    « "Great Place for a Convention" »

This was a great hotel for a busy Convention. The rooms were clean, the food was good and the food at the banquet was wonderful. Breakfasts were good as well. The only issue is that the service at breakfast could have been a bit better. Otherwise wonderful.

    4
« Good value. Close to theatres »

We have stayed here over the years but not recently. We were pleased with the reception and room. Room is spacious. 2 beds for 2 sharing room. The fridge makes it possible to buy or bring food for eating in. Room clean. A 5 minute walk to festival theatre or 15-20 minutes gets you the other theatres or restaurants Sampsonite factory also close.

    4
« Great location close to Stratford Festival »

We were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. Pluses +++++ 1. Great location within walking distance of Stratford Festival shows. If you only want a walk under 5 minutes, drive to the next block west of the hotel along Ontario Street. Turn right and the road leads into the park next to the theatre. We parked in a small lot (around 15 cars) near the entrance, which gave us a nice exit directly to Romeo Street without going around the circular drive past the theatre. 2. Check in is 3pm, but they allowed us to check in early (12:45 or so), and others were checking in early too. 3. Parking is FREE 4. Room was clean with all the usual amenities. Nice bed, love seat with coffee table, and nice lighting in room, and washroom. 5. We had breakfast in their restaurant. Food & service was good, and reasonably priced. Negative - 1. Our room had no view - a/c fans, and walls. - NO BIG DEAL for us

    3
    « Just ok »

The hotel is located close to the festival theatre, but that's about the only thing that is impressive about this hotel. The shower had very low water pressure, and the air conditioning unit is loud. It's a clean hotel, with comfortable beds but i think i'll try a bed and breakfast next time.

    4
    « Will Be Back »

Overall a great hotel with a very nice pool. Spacious. Good service. Located right near the theatres in Stratford. The room was not lacking in anything and very fresh, with a spotless bathroom. Of course, it's a bit pricey, being in Stratford: they know they can charge more.

    4
« Recent stay for one night »

The Best Western Plus is the way to go. Very convenient to the theater events. Staff very helpful at the front desk and Siloh at breakfast was very pleasant. Reasonably priced breakfast, clean rooms and pool and helpful staff- what more could you ask for?

    « Surpassed by expectations! »

We stayed two nights here recently to take in some theatre at the Stratford Festival. There aren't many options for hotels in town (mostly B&B's) and we chose this one because of its proximity to the theatre and we've driven past it a few times and it looked nice. I know it's certainly a busy place in the summer. This place really surpassed our expectations by a large margin. I don't typically stay at Best Western's and so I wasn't really sure what to expect, even with the 'Plus' category added to the brand. Our stay was practically perfect. Every staff member we encountered were friendly and accommodating, from check-in to the restaurant to housekeeping. Our room was very large, despite I believe just being booked as a normal room. It had two beds (advertised as queen size but I felt a bit smaller than that?) as well as a large entranceway and desk as well as two chairs. I'm fairly this is a standard size room and it's large in comparison to many other places I've stayed recently. The bathroom was also huge including a very much appreciated soaker tub. Amenities were standard in the room and the AC worked well on the hot summer day. As for other things worth mentioning about the hotel - the restaurant was good to eat in and always busy. We had the breakfast buffet (a steal at $10) and dinner one evening at the hotel with lovely salads that weren't that expensive either. The pool was on the smaller size but still nice, including a small exercise room and a hot tub. The hours were a bit short, closing at 10pm which sadly prohibited a soak after the theatre. Free computers with wifi were available in the lobby as well with a printer if needed. This theatre is very close to the Festival Theatre in Stratford, under 10 minutes walking and probably around 25 minutes to downtown and the other theatres. Free parking was also available. All in all, this was a really great choice for our theatre time in the town. It was close the main theatre and had lots of amenities for our stay. This is an excellent choice in town but it's busy and you'll likely have to book early.

    5
« Good value and close to town. »

We stayed for one night at the Best Western Plus in Stratford and we found that the hotel provided for a super nights sleep for an affordable price with a location close to all the theatres in Stratford. The beds were super comfortable and the entire family had a great sleep. We will definitely be back.

    5
« Super Place to stay in Stratford! »

Spent two nights here as part of a group attending a family reunion. The hotel is modern, spotless, and although a 20 min walk to town, it is only a 10 min walk to the Festival Theatre. Our king suite was large with two TV's, a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Although breakfast was not included, the buffet was $10.99 per person or you could order a la carte.

    4
« Good value, great service »

Clean and comfortable, easy to park and in a good location. Staff are knowledgable about the theatres and eager to assist with a visit to Stratford. Room 501 had a bad smell so we had to relocate but this was no problem. A bit of a walk to the Avon theatre but there is ample parking if you need to drive there. Decent breakfast at value pricing.

    4
« Still our favorite place to stay in Stratford. »

We stayed at the Arden Park Hotel, now Best Western Plus for 2 nights in July of 2016. Check-in was quick and easy, and they had a room for us even though we were early. The room was quite spacious and appears to have been redone since the last time we stayed here a few years ago. Large bathroom, super deep soaker tub that I very much enjoyed, seating area, desk, TV, cable? basically everything you could need. There is a Keurig coffee maker and fridge in the room, as well as coffee in the lobby. My only complaint is that the room smelled like fritos. Which was odd. Possible coming from the A/C. Wasn't enough to bother us for more than a moment upon entering. There is enough parking, although after the late shows you may be around the back of the building as the closer spots are taken. Slightly outside of town, yet super close to the Festival Theatre, the Arden continues to be our favorite place to stay in Stratford, and may even have improved under the new management.

    5
« Adding to the quality of your stay »

A fine location and outstanding value for your money. The quality of the hotel, staff, and the room meet all of our needs. The towels and products in the bath room were top of the line. The front desk representives went out of their way to provide every assistance needed. Highly recommend.

    5
    « Close to All »

The hotel was excellent in every way; service, food and proximity to the Stratford theaters. In particular, the Festival Theater was only minutes away and graced by the beauty of the River Avon's tranquil setting, a good apres theater respite.

    4
« Far exceeded my expectations! »

The hotel is within walking distance of the Festival theater and a few minutes drive into downtown. The hotel has been recently renovated and the rooms (we had two) are beautiful and modern. The bathrooms are spacious and beautiful, but the shower is not strong enough for my liking. The front desk staff and our waitress at breakfast were so friendly and clearly took pride in their work. The only reason this is not a five star rating is the very small fitness center and weak shower. I look forward to staying here again!

    3
    « convenient »

We selected this hotel because of its location near the Stratford Festival theatre - only a few minutes walk. The room had a fridge and coffee maker. Swimming pool is small, with no amenities at the pool shower, but the room was clean and comfortable. They took a credit card imprint for "amenities", which they clearly said would be deleted on check out if there were no charges. We incurred no extra charges, but $100 still appeared on our card. Supposedly this will be deleted after a few days, but this was not what they initially told us. Where did they get the amount of $100, and why not be up front about it being charged? This left us with a distinctly negative impression of the hotel.

« First rate, all around »

Something of an anomaly in a resort town known for its intimate bed-and-breakfast offerings, this five-story, full-service hotel provides excellent value for travellers seeking more conventional accommodations. Its central location offers easy access to the Festival Theatre and the other tourist sites that attract visitors in droves, especially during the summer months. Check-in and out is efficiently managed in the light-filled atrium on the main floor, off of which a lap pool and small gym provide appropriate facilities for those seeking exercise during their stay. Rooms are spacious and well equipped, with Keurig coffee and tea set-ups, mini-fridges, and large screen television expanding the usual amenities--down-topped beds, fast wireless connections and, in some rooms, whirlpool soaker tubs. While breakfast costs extra, it is both substantial and inexpensive, served from 7:30-11:30 in a large, bright dining-room that also offers a tasty set menu at dinner, as well as economical lunch-time fare. Coffee is available in the lobby all day, along with maps, tourist information and computer work-stations. Service is uniformly professional, with the courteous staff actually seeming to take pride in their facility and its environs. All in all, this Best Western offers first-rate service and accommodation that makes it a winner. One small word of caution; because the hotel is so popular, the parking lot often fills up early. It's best not to check-in late.

    5
« Just keeps getting better! »

The rooms are beautiful at the Arden Park , so well appointed and attended to - love a clean place to stay. We ate in the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us in a great time considering we were going to theatre and had not made reservations. The service was terrific and we had a male server who had so much to share about Stratford and the theatre experience that it added to our dining experience. Thank you so much.

    5
« Modern, clean overnight stay »

We spent one night and used TripAdvisor's rating when we chose this hotel. It's about a mile from downtown/Avon theater. We chose to drive to the theater, but a walk would be doable. Our room was large, clean, and quiet. The exterior of the hotel is very well maintained. We even saw an employee deadheading the flowers in the garden! We will definitely stay here again.

« Better than many Best Westerns »

We really enjoyed our stay at the Arden Park Hotel, even more this year than last when they were in the process of becoming a Best Western Plus hotel. The rooms seemed updated, the bathrooms definitely were. Everything seemed clean, new, and well-provisioned. The only problems were: one outlet that didn't work and the inside of the Keurig coffee machine looked rusted, so we didn't use it and wait staff in lounge and restaurant could use a little more training. Otherwise, a good (though not inexpensive) place to stay for the Stratford Festival and to have a few meals.

    5
« First time visit to Stratford »

The Junior Suite lived up to our expectations. Clean, spacious suite. Friendly staff, great restaurant. Close to Festival Theatre and Dairy Queen lol. It was our first visit to Stratford and our server for breakfast Shilo (apologize if the spelling is incorrect) took a real interest in our daily activities. You have some great ambassadors of Stratford at your hotel. Well done!!! My only suggestion is a magnifying mirror in the suites.

    5
« Comfy, clean, spacious and quiet »

We go to Stratford every year to see a Shakespearean play or two. This is the first time we've stayed overnight. We chose the Best Western and were not disappointed. I wanted to stay longer as the hotel was so nice! We had breakfast in the hotel's restaurant the next morning and it was delicious. The front desk and restaurant staff were all friendly and attentive.

« Great Hotel and Locarion »

This is the nicest Best Western Plus in which we've ever stayed. The property is immaculate and the rooms are large and well appointed. Large bathroom, fridge, quality furniture, and a sitting area make for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is very good and reasonably priced. You can grab a coffee or tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. You can't beat the location, just a ten minute walk to the Festival Theatre and the lake. The downtown is just 1 kilometre away. -- 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk.

    « Great location! »

We stayed here overnight after the theatre. The location is walking distance to the Festival Theatre. The rooms are spacious and clean. The front desk staff, specifically Abbie were very attentive and helpful. We ate breakfast at the hotel and the service was efficient - Thank you Nora! We will definitely stay here again.

    « Enjoyed our stay. »

The hotel staff were excellent. Friendly, professional and accommodating. The rooms were modern and clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel. It is a bit of a walk to downtown Stratford - 20 minutes or more. Driving was less than 5 minutes and there is plenty of parking downtown.

    « Much better than I expected »

This is a very good hotel for a Best Western. The room that we stayed in had been updated and was large and functional. The location is close to downtown and the theater is located a short walk behind the building. At around $200/night it wasn't cheap but then again its summer tourist season.

« Probably one of the best places to stay in Stratford... »

We have been a few times the Arden Park Hotel when visiting Stratford. It probably pales in comparison to the Bruce hotel next door but I imagine most visitors come to Statford for only a few days to see the plays and paying >$500 may be considered "excessive". The Arden is a full fledged hotel with a decent restaurant, swimming pool and a gym (which is admittedly tiny, but functional). The rooms are huge. We had a king sized bed and a 1 room bedroom suite. There is a a small kitchenette area w a sink, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and fridge (no stove in this one and I'm not sure if any rooms have a stove). It is remarkably clean and well kept. We have been to more expensive "fancy" hotels which are run down and not as well maintained as this place. So I admit I am impressed with the upkeep of this hotel. In the lobby there is free coffee/ hot chocolate machine and a newspaper (if you can get there in time...). The restaurant is quite reasonably priced and the wait staff are (usually) fast & friendly. On Sundays, the open up one of the hall rooms for a larger buffet. Considering what they serve (salads/ cold appetizers/ omelette and waffle stations/ bacon piled a foot high/ cakes and pastries etc), the price (I forget but way less than most hotels) was quite reasonable. You won't find valet service (parking in their lots is free) and you have to haul your luggage up yourself (they have carriers and I suppose if you need help, just ask for it) but I think overall it's a pretty nice, well cared for facility, which is about 10-15 walk away from Festival Theater (leave you car at the hotel) and probably 30- 40 min walk into center of Stratford. Definitely recommended.

    « ABOVE MY EXPECTATIONS »

This is the first time that I have stayed at The Arden Park hotel but I would definitely stay there again. I wish all hotels were like this. The rooms have been recently renovated and they did a great job on them, very stylish and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and sheets and pillows were great as well. Bathroom has plenty of space and very clean . In would definitely stay there again and recommend it to everyone. We didn't eat at the restaurant so /I can not comment on it but the prices looked reasonable.

« Great location to go to Festival Theatre »

Chose this hotel because of its location near the theatre. Room was great...king bed, clean, right number of towels. Restaurant was excellent. Called ahead to ask if a reservation was necessary and it was recommended...glad we did as the restaurant filled up quickly. Enjoyed walking from hotel to Festival Theatre for an evening show. Highly recommend it.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

Was not excepting much but was very happy with the room. I got a 2 queen bed suite with a pull out in the living room. The is a little kitchenette and the rooms are quite spacious and nicely decorated. The check in was a bit of a wait in line and housekeeping forgot to disengage the deadbolt so our room was unlocked all afternoon. Luckily nothing seems to be missing. Overall clean and comfortable, close to downtown. I would stay here again.

« Great place for Family Stay in Stratford »

I have stayed here several times before the Arden Park became a Best Western. I stayed in a suite both times and found that it was roomy and comfortable. The pool is a nice addition. It would be great if breakfast could be included. I hope to stay again this summer .

    « Best best western »

This is more like a Hilton hotel than a brat western. I'm very picky about my beds and this was very comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and looked newly furnished in a relaxed modern style. My only complaint would be a mirror with a good light source that you can get close to for eye makeup, but i took the shades off a lamp and made it work.

    « Nice Hotel »

We stayed overnight here, for a wedding early July. We were able to check in a bit early, which was great, as we needed to get ready for the wedding we were attending. Room was large and clean, although the view wasn't fabulous (a view of part of the roof of the hotel, with a beer bottle on it), we didn't book a room in Stratford for a view. Staff was friendly. Our kids loved the pool and hot tub - 2 1/2 hours later, I was able to drag them away! Nice hot chocolate and coffee machine in the lobby as well! Skip making coffee in the room, and get a cup of this - it was great! One small thing - the morning after the wedding, I had a headache and went down to the lobby to see if they had a Tylenol for me to have. It was available for purchase. I have headache medication and home and would not want to purchase a whole other bottle. My fault for thinking that maybe one pill would be complimentary, like how some hotels offer extra toothbrushes or razors if you forget.

    « Great hotel »

We stayed one night while in town to see a play at the Stratford Festival. Friendly staff at check in. Clean, spacious modern room with Keurig coffee maker, fridge, and plenty of storage. Very nice swimming pool, hot tub, and fitness room. Plenty of parking and the Festival Theatre is within walking distance. We were very impressed and plan to stay here again when we return later this season.

    « Great Location - Large Room »

We stayed at this hotel to attend Summer Plays in the area. Location is very good and the hotel was very clean, with large, comfortable rooms. Staff was very friendly. Stay was very nice. Just wish it had a free breakfast.

    5
    « Overall stay »

The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely pleasant. The dinner special was good value and the prime rib was excellent. I would recommend this location for the proximity to shows and downtown Stratford.

« Nice place to stay! »

Actually it was my 2 brothers that stayed here one time while coming home for the Christmas holidays. But as sisters will do, I checked out their room. It was clean and very comfortable and had a lovely view of the nearby Queen's Park. It was within walking distance of the Festival Theater which I consider a bonus! They stayed for 2 days and enjoyed breakfast each morning on-sight before joining the family get togethers. They said they're meals were delicious and satisfying. They both enjoyed a good night's sleep as the beds were very comfortable. A little pricey but well worth the cost was factoring in the location and over all pleasant stay.

    « Nice Hotel »

Stayed at the hotel for 1 night, May 7th, 2016. Very nice modern looking rooms, was very comfortable. We had an issue with the guys across the hall, and the hotel staff took all measures to fix the issue. We were eventually moved to another room, just as a precaution since the staff knew it could start up again when the guys returned to their room after their drinking. All in all I would return to this hotel if I was to visit Stratford again.

    5
« Convenient place to stay in Stratford »

The hotel has recently become a best western plus and has been improved in every way. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable with nice furnishings. The hotel is a 5 to 10 minute stroll to the Festival Theater. Downtown is about 1/2 miles away where the other theaters are located. The dining room serves adequate comfort food at reasonable prices.

    4
    « Comfortable and clean »

My daughter and I stay here regularly on our annual trip to the Festival. It's comfortable and clean and extremely close to the Festival theatre. We often walk the mile through the park to get to the other theatres as well. Feels like our Stratford home away from home.

« Unorganized with an Attitude and Even Worst »

Our family arrived from multiple points in the US after lengthy travels, on a Friday afternoon for a two night stay. Not only were the two rooms we booked not available at the guaranteed check-in time of 3:00 p.m., the (male) manager on duty had a cocky attitude and was unapologetic in any sense. You can see from the photos that the rooms weren't even close to being ready as evidenced by the housekeepers bags of laundry and garbage when they were still cleaning the rooms late in the afternoon. To make matters worse, when we arrived, a small dog entered one of our rooms with no owner anywhere to be found. He was friendly enough and after we shooed him out of our room we nearly stepped in a log he had laid on the carpet near the elevator. Sadly, someone else wasn't as lucky from another gift he or another dog had left. It was smeared on the carpet (in the opposite hallway) and on the hard surface floor in front of the elevators. Needless to say, the presence of untended dogs and their excrement all over the place did not endear us to this hotel. Aside from the unfriendly and cocky welcome from the manager, the rest of the staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant is terribly understaffed, expect ridiculously long wait times for less than mediocre food. We sent at least one of our entrees back on the night we had dinner there. Over all, this place seems to be poorly managed, (obviously) filthy, and poorly responsive to guests. We would never consider staying here again, under any circumstances.

« Great place for Festival Theatre shows »

Great hotel. Very helpful front desk, well appointed common areas and lots of parking. 10 minute walk to Festival Theatre and park. However, the restaurant was very disappointing. Reservation at 6:00 PM, main course arrives at 7:20, and warm food at best. We had to leave for theatre at 7:30, so no choice but to eat cold food. This followed wrong food being brought to our table at 6:50. It was very busy, but they should have been prepared. Unfortunately the dinner disaster spoiled the dining portion of our stay.

« Nice place to stay »

The room and the bathroom were large and very clean. Towels were top notch. The lobby and restaurant were clean and bright and the staff was attentive. The free Wi-Fi worked great. It was an easy and quick drive to the theaters and downtown.

« Needs a facelift and management attention »

Rented a King Suite, the room is "dated".. needs to be redone. Not sure when it was last "updated" but it is looking very tired. There are large grease type spots in the rug, needs to be replaced or at the very least needs a very good shampooing. The bed is old and uncomfortable, needs to be changed. There is a strange smell in the rooms, like someone had at one time smoked. The dinning room is a total disaster, poor service and the food was cafeteria quality.

    « Bar restaurant »

We just had lunch here. The fish was frozen and overdone. The fries were frozen and overdone. The coleslaw was good. The salt and pepper shakers could use a GOOD cleaning. Could the waitress smile once.

    « Very good otel »

My husband and I stayed over-night at the Arden Part Hotel and we were very satisfied with the overall service and cleanliness of this hotel. Our stay was relaxing and the room was large and very clean. The staff was helpful without being too fussy. The hotel is situated 10 minutes from the theatre, so the location is very convenient as well. We would definitely stay again.

    5
    « no other choice »

Going to a show in Stratford we always stay at The Arden Park Hotel. Now it is a Best Western Plus and the experience is better than ever. The restaurant is great for getting a bite before or after the show. We also enjoy the pool after a long walk around the town and along the river. We won't consider any other properties to stay. We love it.

    4
    « Excellent stay »

The staff were so very helpful. The room was large and the beds were really, really comfortable. The room was quiet and everything worked. The proximity to the downtown area and theatre was ideal. Will stay again.

    « Weekend in Stratford »

We checked in Friday night, the process was fast and friendly no problems. Our room is a suite so it's quite large consisting of a living room which has a 3 and a 2 seater couch, with a desk and a couple side chairs so it is very large, it could be more tastefully decorated, for a more inviting feel. The TV is way to small for the room size it's almost comical. There is a wet bar area with sink, microwave, mini fridge, and a number of empty cupboards. I'm surprised by the lack of any glassware, I've stayed in less expensive suites and they have glassware and wine glasses available, this has only plastic cups, feels like a cheap hotel . The room and even the hallway on the fifth floor had a musty smell. The bathroom is clean which is very important, but like the rest of the suite it just feels cheap, the toilet is older and you have have to hold the handle down to flush, I hate that, the shower door is hinged on the wrong side, making it awkward entering and exiting, and the water pressure from the shower head is way to low. We used the indoor pool, and found that acceptable, the pool side surfaces have been redone and makes it feel newer, the area was clean and pool towels were available. The hotel staff have all been friendly and professional. This has been our second stay at this hotel, first since in became a Best Western hotel. I think that on our next stay in Stratford we might explore other places, this is nice no complaints, just felt the room could have been much more.

    « Pricey but nice »

Modern, very clean room. Nice pool. Pricey at some $220 for four adults (but it is Stratford on Saturday night with play on), but didn't include anything for breakfast! Every other BW I've stayed at always had some breakfast included.

    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel is conveniently located, beautifully renovated, clean and comfortable with lots of stylish touches. The restaurant and bar are handy for beginning and end of the day! We had a suite which was very nicely designed. Stratford can be an expensive place to stay and a difficult place to get a reservation.....this hotel was a very good choice.

    5
    « Loved it! »

I loved this hotel! My room was large, spotless, well decorated, quiet, and comfortable. The bathroom looked brand new, with not a speck of dirt. I had a king size bed, a small living area with a love-seat and coffee table and a nice desk to plug in my various devices. I didn't want to leave my room to attend my meetings. I am looking forward to going back in the near future.

« Arden Park for quality and convenience »

We attend the Stratford Festival every year and appreciate the cleanliness and excellent service, as well as convenience to the Festival theater. We have stayed other places in the past but agree that the Arden Park is the best option.

    5
    « Excellent Property »

We stayed there during our visit to Stratford to see "A Little Night Music." It wasn't our first visit to The Arden Park, but in spite of that we were very pleased at the property. The initial greeting at the front desk was warm and friendly and we were attended to quickly and efficiently. The room we were assigned was immaculate. It was newly renovated and the decor was terrific. We were in a bit of a rush to get to the theatre and decided to eat in their dining room. Here again the service was great and the food delicious. Because of that we ate there on a couple of other occasions during our stay. It's also in a great location as far as its proximity to the theatres and a short walk down Romeo Street to the Festival Park. Overall my wife and I would give The Arden Park the highest rating and will definitely stay there in future. By the way the show "A Little Night Music" was great. We'd highly recommend it!

« Great Stay Every Year »

I stay for several nights every year for the opening of the Stratford Festival. The Arden Park Best Western accommodates my mobility scooter beautifully. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is great with warm smiles, good coffee, and delicious meals. I recommend it.

« Home away from home »

We visited Stratford for a performance at the Festival Theatre and chose this hotel as being very close to that venue. As it turned out, our choice became important when we were disappointed with the show and did not have to walk far to return to our "home away from home" - our room at the Best Western Plus. Our room was surprisingly spacious as well as spic and span in appearance. It had everything you would need - coffee/tea, fridge, ironing board, etc. - for a comfortable stay. We also ate at the hotel's restaurant - both dinner and breakfast. We were happy with the food selection and quality of meals and were made very welcome by the staff at both eating times. Our only regret was that we had booked just the one night at Best Western Plus and definitely plan to stay there at future visits to Stratford.

« Awesome hotel facilities and friendly + thoughtful staff »

We stayed in Best Western Plus The arden Park hotel during the past Victoria Day long weekend. Not only we enjoyed our stay, my little story can also prove the staff there are friendly and thoughtful. When we left the hotel I forgot my camera battery and the charger on the wall outlet in the room. When I called the hotel they not only managed to find my charger but also offered to ship it back to my home address for free. When the charger arrived I found it's also carefully packed with bubble wraps! Five stars for the hotel and all the staff! Thank you very very much!

« Expensive but near Festival Theatre »

We stayed one night at the BW Arden Park because we were going to the Festival Theatre which is within walking distance. Hotel property is clean and well-decorated but expensive for a small town due to the theatre season I would guess. Our room had a musty smell which I think came from the air conditioning unit but was otherwise fine. Unfortunately there were some large school groups staying over and they flooded the dining room in the morning. We waited 15 minutes to be seated and another 15 waiting for a waitress to take our order. We finally left because no one had yet approached our table and the dining room staff appeared to be hopelessly overwhelmed, although management must know how many guests are booked in...We had breakfast elsewhere.

« BEST KNOW WESTERN FRIENDLINESS AND EFFICIENCY »

The room is nicely appointed and spaciously proportioned, there are 2 queen-size comfortable beds for 2 senior couples to share, cable tv and free WiFi, Keurig coffee and maker, a mini fridge and a large sized well appointed bathroom. There is a restaurant in the lobby for all meals with reasonable price. The hotel is AAA clean, efficient and great value. It is also conveniently located and close to the Festival Hall. The staffs are amazingly efficient and most cheerful. The receptionist saved my 'bling' on my sandle by got me some crazy glue ASAP! Our room was made up while we were at breakfast!! What service!!! I am super AAA impressed even if we missed the famous Best Western free rise and shine healthy breakfasts.

« Good value and excellent location near festival theater. »

We enjoyed our stay at the Arden Park Best Western. The hotel is very clean, the suites were a good value and nicely furnished. We were traveling with two other couples to see Macbeth and Chorus Line at the festival theater. We walked both times. VEry pleasant walk through the park to the theater.

« Quality room, recommend the hotel! »

Good amenities. This is a clean hotel located in an area that offers many restaurant choices. The hotel was quiet, despite being fully booked. Comes with all the standard BW appointments. Did not have breakfast here but the restaurant looked nice. WiFi was strong and reliable. I would return here again.

    « A great option in Stratford »

We were very pleasantly surprised by The Arden Park Best Western. Great staff and nicely appointed, new hotel. The location could not be more convenient to the Festival Theatre - just a short walk and easier than finding parking. Also, it's an easy drive to downtown. We did have dinner in the hotel restaurant and while it wasn't "fine dining" the food was good and the dinner special was an excellent value. We asked to be away from the elevator and were told we were a couple doors away but unfortunately we were still awakened by noise. We'll definitely be back.

    « a weekend stay »

I stayed at Best Western Arden Park while I was moving out of Stratford over Easter Weekend, and needed a place to stay. The staff was wonderful, and the sunday brunch has a huge spread, something for everyone! Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to stratford.

    « Beautiful Lunch Stop »

We had lunch at the Arden Park restaurant/bar. Every day from 11-2pm. Lunch is under $10.00 a person for soup and roast beef dinner! Unbelievable prices. Good for families with older children. Very clean place. We did not stay at this hotel so not able to give you a rating. Judging by lunch I would say it must be a pleasant experience to stay in the hotel. There are 3 specials every day plus they have a menu. A definite A+ for this place.

    « Comfortable & Convenient »

A good conference rate encouraged me to try this hotel. I found it very clean and comfortable. The tiny fitness room had new equipment and free weights. The food in the restaurant and served in the conference was delicious and reasonably priced. Staff tried to be friendly but were not completely successful.

    4
    « Good value »

We spent a mid-week, off-season night at this hotel. It is above average for a Best Western. The hotel has all the usual facilities with an inviting lobby and lots of parking. The service was excellent. The room was large and clean with a comfortable bed. The shower was huge but there was no bathtub. I'm not sure if this was a wheel chair accessible room or if they are all like that. The restaurant was a great deal - reasonable prices for good food with large portions. Although we walked to the Avon theatre downtown, some may find it a little too far. The neighbourhood is lovely for walking with many beautiful homes and a Dairy Queen just down the street! The free wifi was occasionally slow.

    « A Great Base in Stratford »

This hotel is nicely appointed, very clean and modern looking. The room offered great value, especially for a popular place like Stratford. The fitness centre, although small had good facilities. Breakfast was good after a sound sleep.

« A good hotel a few steps away from being a great hotel »

I've stayed at the Arden park 4-5 times over the last few years, the last time 3 years ago. The improvement this time around was marked and noticeable. The place is spotless, and the rooms beautifully appointed in a neo-Classical style...none of the glitzy chrome and glass so popular with so-called "high-end" hotels. This was more King Eddy (my all-time favourite hotel in Toronto) than Le Germain. The bed was firm. The sheets and covers first class. The furnishings of good quality. The room was very spacious. There was a fridge; a definite plus. Free Keurig coffee including decaf. Free wi-fi super-easy to access; just name and room number. Elevators were quick and efficient. Friendly, helpful staff at all levels. There were however, a number of flaws that keep this from being a truly great hotel: Despite a very good restaurant with an excellent menu, there was no room service. I had to place an order and shlep down to get it in my skivvies...then try to handle elevators, room key, etc., while balancing a heavy tray. I only did it once...the next two dinners I ordered-in delivery from a pizza place and sushi bar. Would have preferred the hotel's menu, but it was not to be. This is a lost business opportunity but you can tell the place runs very lean on staff. The TV was awful. Terrible picture quality. It looked very cheap despite the Sony logo. Looked like they picked them up wholesale at a clearance sale. The deep bathtub may appeal to ladies (or men) keen on a bubble bath, but for the in-a-hurry business traveler it's a slippery narrow nightmare...no wonder there are grab bars everywhere. The biggest offence...a fixed shower head with modest water pressure. No way to get enough distance or power to rinse the nether regions. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE.....always have a detachable shower "telephone", and I'll gladly pay an extra buck for some real water pressure. The price was reasonable, a corporate rate of $125 was good value. I guess this being Stratford, the real question for hotel management interested in becoming a much better hotel is: To be or not to be?

    4
    « updated and modern »

Looks a lot classier since I was here last year. If you don't like b&b's then this is the place to stay. The new upholstery and carpets look fresh and modern. No tacky artwork cluttering every inch of wall. The corner queen room I stayed in had a desk with good office chair, 2 side chairs with a small bistro table, a comfortable reading chair, nice linens and is clean. No chemical cleaner smell. The windows are very difficult to open though. There is an electric fireplace but it stank like smoldering electrical so I immediately switched it off. Ontario St. traffic is noisy, even with closed windows so get a room at the back. Plenty of towels, hairdryer, soap & shampoo etc. Separate shower & tub; really like that. Hard to apply one's makeup though as the counter is deep and far away from the mirror, maybe add an extension magnifying mirror. There was no luggage rack in the room but upon my return one had been placed near the closets that hand plenty of hangers. Coffee maker, fridge and iron with ironing board. Front desk is friendly & courteous but they will take a telephone call even though you are standing right there waiting. Lots of parking. Short drive to Festival Theatre

    « quick overnight stay »

we booked the big suite and it was nice and clean and had a separate (separated by an actual door - not a curtain as some are) bedroom area. nicely decorated. fridge, microwave, small kitchen area sink. pull out bed in living room. and little faux fireplace which I enjoyed immensely. if you are going to the 'festival' theatre in Stratford (beware there are four theatres in Stratford - who knew!) you can walk from this hotel in about 10-12 minutes (we are slow walkers). only complaint was could not get a reservation at the breakfast buffet - but it was due to mothers day - so book early.

    « Getting Better! »

We were disappointed when the Best Western first took over Arden Park Hotel, however we spent another night and to our surprise it is getting better with every visit. Last time the hot tub and spa was not available, but it was all spic and span although the chlorine was a bit high, but I have to assume that it had just been "shocked". Something that has to be done. The rooms are spacious, very clean, updated, and the beds are very comfortable. Being a weekend the lobby was very busy with a convention of some sort, but staff handled it and us without a fuss. Friendly and efficient.

    3
« Nothing is open or available during off season »

Stratford in general is a sleepy little town when the theatre season is not in swing, this hotel is certainly no exception. If you want to eat or drink anything besides vending machine fair after 10pm you better high tail your butt to the closest McDonalds even though the restaurant/bar of this hotel could easily stay open until 11pm. The hot tub's chlorine levels were so high that my partner and I started to wheeze and cough within two minutes of being in the hot tub, we quickly got out but then experienced itchy, red rashes all over our bodies the whole night that appeared shortly after exiting the tub. I suppose I should have know better considering the hot tub looked like a washing machine when we turned it on, it was that foamy. When I mentioned it to the front desk, the women gave me some lame excuse about how the Perth health department makes them keep it like that. If the rashes on my skin hadn't subsided by the morning I would have escalated my complaint further but I think this review suffices. Long story short, it's the basic b**** of small town hotels, don't expect anything out of the ordinary and don't use the hot tub.

« Short stay but good »

Considering it had been years since I stayed at a a Best Western I was pleasantly surprised. Common areas were nice and the rooms were well decorated and clean. I would definitely stay again if in Stratford!

    « Extremely comfortable beds »

Very comfortable beds, very clean bathroom, great shower. The price was a bit high for my last booking, but seems to be the same at other hotels. This is a great place for us to stay when visiting family in the area. We come about twice each year and have no hesitation coming again.

    « Elegant and cozy. »

Recently,, I stayed at the Best Western Arden Hotel in Stratford Ontario, with a group of others. We stayed in a suite with a fireplace and extremely cozy bed. The room was immaculate, as was the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodated our every need. Most of our meals were at the hotel with the function, and they were always enjoyable and well presented. I have travelled throughout the world and stayed at many hotels. This hotel, exceeded my expectations! Very elegant and cozy.

« To Stay or Not to Stay »

This hotel certainly ticks all the boxes and deserves a 5* rating. It can always use improvement as any business can. Pluses are the decor, comfort and accessibility. Each room is tasteful and eye appealing. (Did see a silverfish in the bathroom) but hey, we bring in things with us... Whose to say it was not a hitchhiker ? Beds are as good as any top notch, linens & pillows great! Lighting better than most. We stayed 3 nights here for a Miniatures convention and every aspect was impeccable and organized for our meals rooms etc. We were given an early check-in without charge and given an excellent rate when we stayed over an extra night. Kudos to this hotel for the flexibility and genuine courtesy offered their guests. Now the not so great.... The ATM was not working on the Sat. Night. This caused a lot of hardship to me as I was told to walk down the street that some business would have one. Being dressed for the festivities and needing more cash i set out . No ATM was found(stores -closed) I did not have a vehicle to drive to a bank so I returned to the hotel unable to spend more money at the sale. I believe customer service should have kicked in here somehow ??? Instead of sending me on a wild goose chase. Note to self - make sure ATM is working before sale. Lastly the restaurant. While this hotel is a premium place to stay the restaurant is not. The food could use a little finesse and the waitress a little less rude. I would return here in a heartbeat, Unless of course I win the Lottery to stay next door at "The Bruce"

    « nice hotel »

I recently stayed 4 nights, Very nice clean rooms nice bathroom. Comfy bed. Lots of parking. Good restaurant on site very reasonable prices for food and drinks. Sleeman on tap. I ate in the hotel everyday and was happy except the last night. They had 3 entries and an appetizer and dessert bar If you buy Entree you automatically get the buffets. Lots of choice in the buffets and tasty. I decided to try the Prime Rib and buffets prime rib was far to cooked asked for another done medium and got very well done again. barmaids excuse was they are getting near the end. I got there at 5 and ordered by quarter after. they opened for dinner at 5. They should advise that they don't have a real medium would of been happy to try something else. waitress/barmaid was not happy with me after returning and then never asked how the second was. Should of sent it back to but was hungry by then. Other then that the drinks are reasonable and so is everything else I had during the week The bartender at night during week was very good he offered lots of local Festival information as well as other local attractions. Would stay again but wouldn't order the Prime Rib ever again.

    « Great experience »

From the online booking, check-in to checkout, everything here was efficient and friendly. King room was clean, modern and well-equipped with frig, Keurig etc. Pool and weight room just off the lobby looked great but we were too busy to try them out. Off-season rates were low and service and breakfast in the restaurant (not included) were also great. Requests made at booking re room location were followed without a reminder. (Personal preferences vary so we found the mattress slightly less firm than our favourite, and I prefer a hand-held shower to the rain-shower head.) Central location is great for Stratford tourists; you can walk to nearly everything.

Clean rooms. Good breakfasts. Check in was painless. The cookies were delicious, unexpected treat. Helpful staff. Would stay again. It's just off the beaten path where the rooms are quiet overall very pleasant stay would recommend to anyone. Prices were more than fair

« Surprisingly nice Best Western experience! »

Very nicely redone rooms. Up-to-date "hotel" style decor, a bit more city hotel than expected in Stratford, and fairly newly done. Not amazing design, but some attempts at local flavour - theatre posters in the hallways, etc. Spacious room, new crisp bedding, clean fluffy towels, and generally clean. The pool is nice, a touch bigger than some hotel pools, and just as over-heated, but still a good spot for a swim. The gym is reasonably equipped but very cramped. Breakfast not included but very reasonable, decent variety, and freshly made to order which is a great step up from the usual suspicious-looking "scrambled eggs" in a tub and spongy pastries at some other hotels. Very friendly staff. A good experience overall, I will come back!

    « Weekend stay »

Very spacious room, and very clean. We came in the off season and enjoyed a quiet relaxing weekend. Only reason I didn't give 5 star rating was the shower. It looked promising at first but being that it was JUST a shower, there wasn't a tub. The shower head had to be removed or you had to stand underneath it. Not impressed that way. If your not planning on showering it a great hotel for the $$$.

    « Arden Park's Improvement »

The hotel has always been adequate but the renovations done to the property since BW's takeover have improved it immensely. The decor has been updated and the rooms thoroughly renovated. The new staff is courteous and attentive.

« Arden Park puts the "Best" in Best Western »

I have been staying at the Arden Park every year to attend a hobby convention. I have always found the hotel to be in excellent shape, clean and has always been up to date in its appearance. The staff is friendly, professional and courteous. I enjoy eating in the restaurant the food is great and the price is very reasonable. Even the snack bar service, food and beverage availability and price is just great. I have used the pool and while not large it is clean and you can have a moment of relaxation. The hotel is convenient to everywhere you want to be in Stratford. It's the only place I stay in Stratford because I have had such a great experience here I feel there is no need to go anywhere else for the price.

« Best Western Arden Park Hotel »

We hold an annual convention at the Arden Park. The service is second to none. The staff is polite, professional, and dedicated to customer service. Our conference and the stay of attendees from across the continent went off without a hitch. We will be back again next year.

« Nice hotel, breakfast not included »

What a difference a day makes, and a few miles in driving. After a disappointing night in the Guelph Best Western, with trepidation we checked into the Best Western Plus Arden Park Hotel in Stratford for which we had a non-cancelable reservation. The staff at the reception was really nice and made sure to give us a quiet room as we had requested via online booking. The room and the bathroom were really nice and spacious! And yes, very quiet! There was a big desk, a big dresser, also big fridge and a small round table with 2 chairs by the window, a sofa and lots of space around the king size bed. The bed itself was very comfortable. So we had a great and relaxing night. One disappointment was that breakfast was not included and the waitress in the restaurant was quite rude. So we decided that perhaps we'd go to Balzac's café and have breakfast there.

    « Nice place »

Met up with friends in a central location. Staff at the check-in desk was great, the rooms were clean and stocked with lots of towels. Breakfast was good, they had a nice variety and prices were reasonable. i'd go back again. Didn't get a chance to use the pool or hot tub but they both looked good.

    « Excellent »

Ardent park is our go to place to stay. Each Christmas our family congregates here from across the country. Since the property has been taken over by Best Western it has gotten even better. Rooms have been nicely renovated. Staff is wonderful.

« Don't stay here when there are sports teams booked in! »

I checked into this hotel and noticed displays for a girls hockey tournament in the lobby. My antennae went up and I inquired at the front desk if I could get a room away from where the teams were booked. They assured me that noise would not be an issue. You guessed it! Bedlam, all afternoon, and into the evening?slamming doors, giggling and playing in the hallways, and then, internal phone calls to my room during the night, followed by immediate hangups. Just what a business traveller wants from what should be a reputable hotel chain like Best Western. As the hotel did not take my concerns seriously, I finally had to yell down the hallway to tell the troublemakers to go to their rooms and put an end to the noise. That worked but, the next day I was advised by the front desk that I had hurt some peoples feelings by expressing my disappointment at their conduct. Boo-hoo. Organizers of team accommodations should be cognizant of the fact that commercial hotels are NOT playgrounds, and should supervise their charges much more closely. Hotels, such as the Arden Park, should not dismiss commercial customers' concerns offhandedly, in favour of the whims of large team booking organizations. Reputable hotels have a responsibility to maintain the standards expected of their property, including guaranteeing quiet, peaceful stays for ALL their customers.

« Beautiful king size suite. »

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It is beautiful and clean. Loved the pool, hot tub and gym. Excellent check in, the staff here are so nice, professional, friendly and so helpful. The food and drinks are very reasonable. Curtis in the bar is one of the best bartenders ever, Nora who served breakfast for us was so nice. We would definitely stay here again.

    « Good weekend break »

My wife and I stayed 2 nights on a long weekend to get a short midwinter break away from home. We had a suite, which gave us lots of space with a separate bedroom. Generally everything was good and we got what we hoped for. We used their restaurant only for breakfast but that was just fine and well priced. The fitness room has all the basics (treadmills, cycle, elliptical, weights) though is in a fairly cramped room off the pool. Some small things: the suites have what looks like a kitchenette, but no dishes, cutlery etc. at all -- so bring your own. In the fitness room the TV didn't work, but they said they were getting it looked after. Overall, good value for the midwinter room rate. We know Stratford very well and there are lots of restaurants and nice scenery to choose from even without the theatre season!

« A great place with wonderful staff »

My husband and I were in Stratford for 6 nights and wanted a bit of space so we took a one-bedroom suite. We could not have been happier with our choice. The room was large and nicely furnished, the bed was great and everything was very clean. We had a fridge and microwave in the room, as well as a coffee maker. The restaurant was also great with homemade food and excellent, friendly service. There is coffee available in the lobby all day - a nice touch. I stay in a lot of hotels and this one is tops in my books.

    « 9 DAY TRIP »

Our family stayed at the Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel for 9 nights in Stratford On. The overall hotel was beautiful and our suite was top notch. We had a separate living room are with pullout couch and extra couch and its own tv. There was lots of room and privacy for our daughter in law who was staying with us. We where in town to watch our son curl in the Canadian Junior Curling Championships for over a week. Two other families/friends from our sons team stayed on the same floor as us. We were very happy with the hotel and the room. The rooms were always clean and tidy, no complaints at all . The bathroom had a glass stand up shower and a soaker tub. We ate many meals at the restaurant and was very happy with the food and the price was very reasonable. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We loved it and would love to stay there again if we are ever in the area again. The hotel is close to downtown with many shops and restaurants. We were there for a sporting event, so didn't have time for anything else. We would like to visit in the Summer and go to the theatre. Very impressed by the hotel and staff.

« Very good hotel for the price »

We stayed here on New Year's and the hotel was actually quite nice. The rooms were very well maintained, clean and the staff was very friendly. What was not very nice was the party itself - the food was bland and the music very old school. Then again, there were only a small percentage of people under 35 attending, so I guess they were catering to the crowd. Would recommend the hotel, not so much the "party" facilities.

    « Wonderful place »

Really enjoyed my stay here. Convenient location, free parking, restaurant on site. Newly renovated hotel or it's been kept extremely clean! Crisp white bedding, plump pillows, plush towels. Walk in shower. Very roomy bathroom! Keurig coffee machine with assorted pods to choose from including hot chocolate! A full array of quality toiletries and a TV remote bag! I look forward to returning.

Renovated and looks really good. Incredible room. Great beds and mattresses provided good sleep. Booked a suite with 2 double beds. Very surprised by the quality of the food. Had salmon dinner and was 100% including desert. Had breakfast next morning and the best cooked bacon I had ever had. Hats off to the chefs. Excellent job. Well trained staff who are all customer oriented. Excellent Value Hotel. We will be back

« Lovely Room, but they let us down »

We stayed at Arden Park before and were very pleased at that time. However they let us down this time. We picked Arden park because the rooms are always lovely and they have a pool, hot tub and a fitness centre. However none them were open. They would have softened the blow had they told us when we checked in. Instead we got into into our bathing suits and made our way down the elevator only to find a sign on the door. Not good customer service. Is this due to the change in ownership to Best Western? Or was it an oversight? Time will tell.

    « Lovely hotel »

We stayed overnight here and were impressed with the quality of the hotel, including the spacious room we had. Breakfast was delicious and served with a smile by our waitress. We noticed that the pool was closed but it didn't matter to us. The front desk people were efficient and friendly. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

    « Lovely place »

This hotel had great staff and amenities. Enjoyed it very much. Sorry we could not take advantage of pool but was too late when we returned from the function we were at to use it. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant was not overpriced and had good food.

« Disappointing and not the same as pre-Best Western »

Although regular visitors to the restaurant for various reasons had not been since the name was changed to Best Western Arden Park. First strike was the wait to be seated and it appeared that were very few staff working. Once seated a long wait before a waitress came to our table. This wait gave me a chance to view the changes to the seating. Gone were most of the tables and chairs to be replaced down the centre with booths. The elegant setting that once was there was gone. Drink order was taken and again a long wait before getting them Food orders taken and after a wait they arrived. One of our party had the buffet ( essentially left overs from Sunday Brunch)which she described as " ok " . Others including myself ordered from the menu and it was good but not great and could have been a little hotter.Waitress came back once to refill drinks and check if all was ok. Waitress never came back to ask if desserts etc.were required and left the bill. Eventually had to go the front desk to find someone to pay the bill to. The restaurant was not especially busy but it was obvious that there was not sufficient staff working. All in all I believe the restaurant has taken a step backwards since becoming part of the Best Western group. Very disappointing.

    « Christmas party Stay-over »

Stayed here after our company Christmas party in their large banquet room downstairs. Definitely the most comfortable bed I've ever been in, and I travel alot for business. Absolute heaven. Room was very clean and luxurious. The entire hotel was very opulent. Felt like I was in a 5 star hotel from the moment I walked into the lobby. Definitely would highly recommend.

    « Excellent Hotel »

I have stayed in many hotels in this category over the years. This private hotel was recently purchased by the BW group and they should consider using it as a template for how all hotels should operate. Everything from décor, cleanliness, food quality, staff etc. was top drawer. I was very impressed and I told the owner (previous) and some of his staff that I really enjoyed my stay because of their great service.

    « My luxury escape »

It is always such a luxury to stay at this hotel. The exterior does not seem unusual, but the interior is amazing, It is close to the Festival and it has a great dining room and conference rooms. I love the fireplace in the lobby. The fitness center, pool and hot tub are close located very close to the elevators.

    « Great Hotel »

While in Ontario for business, I stayed at the BW Arden Park Hotel for a night, very impressed with rooms, service, cleanliness and restaurant. When back in the area a week later I tried to book for 4 nights. Made a booking through an obscure site (lesson learned). I had been on the road for over 6 hours in snow and rain and arrived in the dark. Kellie was on the desk, and could not find my reservation, but assured me that they had a room for me, (put me at ease), and called the Assistant Manager to help find my reservation. They gave me a room so I could put my bag away and enjoy a meal while they got thinks looked after. I was well looked after by great staff, the food is good, and the hotel itself is well looked after and very clean. I WILL stay here again.

« Great place to stay with team. Great value »

The hotel was clean and the staff was welcoming. Breakfast was not included in price but the price was excellent. There was a restaurant on site. Rooms were beautiful and had fridge but no microwave. Make sure you call the front desk again if the staff tells you that late check out is not available. When they give you time, try to negociate for later time as some parents in my group were given later time than me.

    5
« Great place to stay »

The rooms were large, the beds comfortable and the service great. The hotel is very close to the Festival Theatre but a bit of a walk (20 minutes or so) from the (charming) Downtown area and the other theatres. It's nicer than you might expect when you first drive in. We didn't eat here (there are many great options downtown) but we came back for an after-show drink; the service was very friendly. The hotel is on the site of an old furniture factory; there are several photos and relics of the town's past.

« Best value in Stratford »

Sparkling clean, quiet, central, friendly. This is my only choice when I go to Stratford. Plenty of parking, close to the theatre, parks, downtown, or exits out of town. Also great spot for a Sunday brunch.

    5
    « Pleasant Surprise »

Although it looks like your run-of-the-mill chain 3* as you drive up, when you enter Arden Park, it feels like a posh Downtown hotel. Very spacious and lovely lobby area with soaring ceilings, a nice bar and a restaurant. Reception was very quick and professional. But the most impressive was the room. It is very large, super clean, great spacious bathroom and has all the amenities of much more upscale hotel. We did not do Sunday brunch, but other guests we talked to were impressed. Will definitely stay here again when in Stratford.

    « Great stay »

Stayed at the Arden Park for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the stay. The rooms were immaculately cleaned every day, and the staff were fantastic. I only ate at the restaurant in the mornings for breakfast but it was very good as well. I was there on conference, and that facility was also very good. It had ample room for 250 or so, audio and video capabilities were good and the lunch and snacks provided were fantastic. I have nothing negative to say about my stay at all, enjoyed it and would definitely return if I were to stay in Stratford again.

Nice quiet hotel. The hotel is within walking distance to most places in Stratford on a sunny day. One must make a short drive when the weather is inclement. A fun town to visit and an excellent place to stay.

    « Weekend getaway »

We booked 3 rooms for the weekend on the fourth floor: one with a king bed,one with two doubles & one suite. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We asked for the rooms to be beside each other and that was accommodated with no problem. We used the suite for the family to relax in together. Lots of room with a small faux fireplace, sink, fridge & 2 tv's -everything we needed to sit around and enjoy a glass of wine. The beds were comfortable. We will return.

Enjoyed a very comfortable stay at the Arden Park Best Western. Beds were very comfy, the room was spacious and I appreciated that the windows could be opened! The onsite restaurant provided a great breakfast and good value for the money spent. Just a short drive from downtown Stratford and all the unique shops found there. Would certainly make this my first choice the next time Stratford is a destination.

    « A solid hotel in Stafford »

Review for hotel only. I did not eat at the onsite restaurant. I went to the Stratford festival and I had to find a hotel for our group. I really didn't expect much from the Best Western chain hotel but it was the only one I could get that could accommodate a group and was within our budget. ( all the hotels and BB are expensive in season in Stratford). I was so pleasantly surprised. The hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very large with 2 very comfortable queen beds. The bathroom was large and with a very large tub. Hot water was steamy and abundant. Fluffy thick towels and nice shampoo and lotion. Free keurlig coffee in the room ! And free internet and copy machine downstairs. The only thing that was amiss was that the carpetin the room needed to be replaced and in fact was loose enough in spots to be a trip hazard. Everyone was so pleasant especially the front desk. I had to cancel a room because we had double booked and they let me cancel the room the day of arrival without charging me ( unheard of in my hotel experience!). The guy at the front desk also doubled as valet - everyone seemed to work together to try and make your stay as pleasant as possible. I hope the owner knows what an outstanding staff he has assembled!) The pool was clean and warm. The whirlpool didnt have much power and only one jet was working. Easy parking and though most drove, the center of Statford and the theaters were only about a 20 minute walk away on a sidewalk. I would stay again in a heartbeat if I was in Stratford.

« Good place to stay when watching a play! »

Arden Park Best Western is well located near all amenities and the Stratford Festival Theatre. Close to shopping and downtown restaurants. Within walking distance of the theatre. One one bedroom suite had a large bedroom and a large adjoining bath with a whirlpool tub. The main living area had a bar fridge, a microwave and wet bar with lots of counter and storage space. We found the front desk staff to be very helpful and they went out of their way to assist us on several occasions.

Hotel and rooms were quite upscale and well appointed for a Best Western. However no breakfast included in price which is usually the case for a best western. Location was great for going to the plays

« A New Owner, but Same Quality Stay »

The Arden Park is now part of the Best Western chain, but it's still our favorite place to stay while attending the Stratford Festival. The rooms remain very clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly and helpful. We had very good lunch in the hotel dining room, even though we prefer not to eat in hotel restaurants. But, to our very pleasant surprise, our favorite waitress, Deb, who we've known for years from visiting another place for breakfasts, (now shuttered tight) greeted us as we entered the dining room. What a pleasant surprise. The Arden Park is within walking distance of the downtown area as well as the Festival Theater (if you like to walk). There is also ample parking.

« Arden Now Best Western Plus »

This is a convenient, reasonable and seniors friendly hotel in Stratford within walking distance of the festival Theatre. The rooms are clean and spacious and the dining room is reasonable and convenient given few nearby alternatives. If on the 2nd floor ask for a room not facing the hotel heating/cooling system.

    « Excellent for theatres »

Great hotel for Stratford theatres (close and convenient). Close to downtown Stratford. Free parking. Good value and wonderful staff. Front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming and were very knowledgeable about the theatres and shows, with great recommendations and directions to theatres. Great for those who have never visited Stratford before.

    5
« Wonderful surprise of luxury! »

We chose the hotel for its closeness to the Festival Theatre in Stratford, but we wish we had more time to stay in this lovely, upgraded hotel. We had a King Suite. Separate bedroom with king size bed and generous, comfy pull out sofa bed. Beautiful bathroom included large jet-tub with overhead heating lamp! Double sinks and nice amenities. Even a Keurig in the room! Clean, modern, friendly. Will definitely be back for next trip to Stratford!
