Arrived part of coach tour, warm welcome and fast efficient check in, rooms clean tidy small business style set up but adequate. All usual tea coffee facilities in room, showers were good Some issue regarding chef's not working Saturday however the restaurant team pulled together some pizzas for our group Not much in local area a l'eclerc nearby but even that restaurant was closed as were 2 others we tried Just behind hotel is a small park green area about 1 mile path in a loop for those wanting a bit of exercise away from the busy road junction The staff were efficient and helpful but I would not choose this for more than a one night travel stop
The hotel was very welcoming and could not do enough for us .Thierry, the receptionist, was so helpful in everything we needed ,and I think that is what made it a nice stay, including the recommended restaurant where he ate was perfect ,the rooms were also excellent
Our stay in this hotel was excellent. The rooms and the bathrooms were very clean and tidy. It was small but very pleasant. When we asked for a room with a bigger bed it was promptly provided with no hazzle. The hotel is situated in a very convenient place close to good restaurants and super markets. The staff was really friendly, especially the receptionist Mr.Thierry who kindly offered us free coffee at our checkout. Thank you very much for the excellent and friendly reception and stay!
When I arrived my first impression was that the exterior is tired and in need of some update, but beyond that moment my stay here has been very good. Firstly the price was very reasonable and for the money paid you get a room, not the biggest but a comfy bed, work table, coffee/tea facilities and clean - not a lot more you need for an overnight stay. The check in was easy - spoke better English than my French - quickly had me into my room - no problem. Water bottle provided for unlimited refills in reception! Generally the hotel feels well kept and clean inside. Breakfast was 13euros and frankly was a good buffet breakfast with hot options - bacon, sausage, egg and then the typical fare of breads, croissants, meats, cheese, yoghurt etc.... enough to start the day and what I had seemed fresh. My overall impression was that the hotel exceeded my tired, jet lagged expectation and frankly is a good option if you are passing through this area.... thank you to the reception staff for the warm welcome.
The staff are really friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded and we had a very pleasant stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good and when the eggs had run out they were quickly replaced. No complaints - would definitely recommend.
Fabulous little hotel. Perfect for a stop over on route to your destination. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms so very clean 😊. Perfect stop over. We are using again on our return journey and would recommend to anybody travelling in the area.
The details of this hotel say 24 hour room service/restaurant. They don't do room service. The receptionists will take the sign down from reception and tell you that they don't do it, despite the sign in the hotel lift and the internet saying that this hotel provides 24 hour room service. Also, the beds are provided with sheets that are too small to be tucked in to the mattress, so as soon as you pull the duvet out to get into bed, you have to remake the bed. This happens every time you stir in bed.
The hotel is located for easy access out of the city, and there are bus and tram stops less than 20 minutes away. Friendly and helpful receptionists, secure parking and totally adequate brekafast.
We stayed here as a family to break up our drive back to UK from France. The hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff couldn't be more helpful and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. The room was perfect for 4 of us, it had A/C a roller blind on the window so we slept well. The tv in the room allowed casting which was great for us as well. Would highly recommend this hotel, great value and we were well looked after. Thanks.
Hotel is acceptable. Location is a bit odd right in a roundabout (traffic circle). Room was clean and comfortable enough. Not too large. Breakfast acceptable - better than some we had in Europe. Staff was very friendly. Area felt safe. Common areas were clean.
Lovely hotel, very clean and spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and a wonderful shower and bathroom. Very good breakfast with plenty of choice.
We chose this hotel because it was close to the motorway . The receptionist was very welcoming . He made you feel valued as a customer. He was very informative about the local restaurants . Reassured if there were any problems with our room to advise him. The room was warm and comfortable . All we needed really . I would even stay here if I was visiting Reims for longer Breakfast was a good selection . With some hot food available to help ourselves .
- Sure Hotel by BW Reims Nord is located out of town center but it is easyly reachable by car. It takes approx 10-15min drive. Hotel Parking Area is free and safe. There are several parking areas in Reims center and it is not the problem for finding the free space. - Hotel room was modern design and big enough for comfortable stay. Room was very clean and very silent. - Hotel staff was very kind and helpful for explaining the details about the area.
We stopped over on our way to a ski-ing holiday. Great for this purpose. Compact, but clean and every amenity needed. Arrived fairly late and staff friendly. Great boulangerie nearby to grab breaky on the go. Best baguette I have ever had. Great location.
Perfect for overnight stop Clean and comfortable room . No restaurant in the hotel but a couple nearby. A little noisy with other residents, our window looked onto the road so quite a lot of lights and curtains thin. The breakfast was extra but worth it as was lovely and plentiful.
Room and welcome were well above the basic level I expected at this price point. While a tad tight it was adequate size and contained all of the amenities we wanted, plus. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.
Basic but comfortable, clean room, full blackout blinds, air conditioning, decent sized TV, great coffee machine in hall way for a couple of euro, great parking. Staff pleasant and efficient, good location, huge supermarket on door step and a few places to eat
Stayed overnight on a coach journey to Italy, It's clean, comfy, good shower, if fairly basic. Breakfast was fine, though they were a bit disorganised to cater for a coach full in one go resulting in a queue.
I have used this hotel three times now and each time has been great. All I need is a place to sleep and have breakfast and it doesn't disappoint. Check in very straightforward and efficient and room clean and comfortable. No negative comments to make.
I felt immediately at ease with someone who spoke very good English at this hotel (its not an excuse that I learnt the language!)...Thank you Mitsy!! The hospitality was extremely welcoming. This is a great place to stop on route to areas south of France, Germany or Switzerland from England. The room was very comfortable and clean. I could not hear people from adjoining rooms and the shower was excellent! Great opportunity to see the gothic cathedral in the city as we
Great value for money and location for ski trip stopover. We stayed in a family room for 2 adults and 2 kids of 7 and 10. Beds were comfortable. The room was clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly.
Stopped at this hotel on way too Lake Garda and on return. We found the hotel very Good,we had room 255.The room was very clean and looked newly decorated. The white bedding was spotless as were the towels. The shower room is separate to the Toilet and both were very clean. The shower is walk in and a good shower. There is tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom We had a breakfast which was fine. Not many facilities around the hotel
Room very clean comfortable bed very friendly staff .on both overnight stays no problems at all .nice meal on the return leg to Calais .and a E Leclerc 5 mins away !?and near the great City of Reims .It has obviously been under refurbishment .and is looking very good . one of Shearings better stop overs like the Mercure Sud Reims .
Stayed for one night on our way to calais, our room on the ground floor was very cold and felt like it hadn't been used for a long time. we reported the fact to reception and they said that they would do something about it, actually we asked them twice but they just ignored us. dinner was about the same as well ice cold pasta for starters and the main course was luke warm, followed by an ice cold sweet. staff were very unfriendly as well. lookinng forward to breakfast, after a miserable night, well you guessed, everything cold, with very little choice. Fortunately I took my own coffee, as theirs was disgusting. next time I'm this way, I'll eat at McDonalds and sleep rough, it will be tastier and warmer
Lets start with the positives. We arrived at 23.10 hours, after a tiring journey from Moldevo, Italy, and the staff very efficiently provided a small three course meal for 47 travellers...well done! Reception was efficient and smooth, and our cases were delivered rapidly by a combination of our drivers and hotel staff. Our room was small, but adequate with tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast at 7.00 a.m. was a good continental style (no cooked food), and my request for hot chocolate was dealt with rapidly. The main negative was the cramped shower room/toilet, with the requirement that toilet paper be placed in bin under the sink and not in the loo....a very unhygienic and antiquated system. There was also an awkward step into & out of this room corner unit. This is the budget end of Best Western hotels.
Although the room seemed clean as in there was no dust it was grubby. Stains on the walls and in the toilet. Wiring covered by masking tape. The surfaces in the bathroom were peeling and the shower had been changed but the original piping had been left. The adjoining door had no handle but no attempt to repair the holes. All in all very disappointing even though it was cheap
We stayed here as a stopover whilst travelling back to Calais. The place had a very sterile feel about it which was surprising as our room was dirty, with previous occupants hair all over the bathroom! The breakfast was basic but our friends got told off for taking a plate to put their bread on! Apparently a family run place. The father looked stressed, the son looked bored but the mother was the host from hell! She really needs to retire or get another job. When we said goodnight she ignored us so we tried again and she raised her eyes and tutted. At breakfast she was no better, miserable cow! The daughter was very nice. The facilities were basic at best but a little bit of professionalism and good nature isn't much to ask for!
In this day and age do guests still have to put soiled toilet paper in an open bin next to the toilet! The room was not very clean. It all looked tired and in need of a good refurbishment. It had three stars on the roof next to the name of the hotel. None of them should have been there!
Arrived at this hotel quite late in the evening part of a coach party with Robinsons Holidays over nighting here on route to UK from Spain. Check-in very efficient and coach party sorted out in record time. Bedrooms very nice though basic. Good choice of breakfast in morning.
this was an overnight stay on the way home from a Leger holiday in Italy The hotel was very clean and the toilet/shower etc was spotless There was a kettle and coffee sachets, tea bags etc the bed was very hard The breakfast was pretty basic with only a small selection and we felt "watched" the whole time by a member of staff I felt that the room I was allocated (54) was not for a single lady as it was on the ground floor and beside the front door of the hotel. The room itself required the shutters to be down the whole time as it looked directly out onto a small courtyard with bins and a path running along a wooded area..one night was okay with no daylight but couldn't have stayed in that particular room longer
We stayed in room 8 here on an overnight visit It was a shocker, and I would not recommend this to anyone, too small dirty, evening meal like a school dinner crockery etc plastic glasses, people were lovely all bar one very grumpy lady but it was a very poor standard, the pictures can't lie
We stayed here on our way back from Italy, with Shearings. This us a small, family run hotel. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The 3 course evening meal was very nice. We were able to help ourselves to hot drinks. The bar prices were very reasonable. I struggled with the bathroom step, as I have mobility difficulties, but as it was for just 1 night it didn't matter too much. The room was small and could have done with a fan, as there was no air-conditioning. Breakfast was continental with a good choice of cereals. All in all it was a lovely stop-over, and I would be pleased to stay with our delightful host, who came out to wave the coach off, next time we stay over in France.
This was called the "Blue Hotel" last week when we stopped overnight en-route to Calais to catch our ferry after a Leger coach tour of Italy. We had a fairly small, but nice and clean, room with very comfortable beds and a TV with English channels (BBC, ITV and Channel 4) and a kettle, but no fridge. The only real downside was the tiny "pod" bathroom with a fairly high step into it, which could have been dangerous for elderly people. The shower had an ill fitting "clingy" shower curtain which was rather annoying. Breakfast was normal "continental" style, with a toaster that actually worked; the only negative was the processed cheese slices (the type you get in burgers, and they were still in their wrappers!). The hotel staff that we encountered were friendly enough. As we arrived fairly late and left early next morning this hotel was fine for our needs.
We had a horrible experience at this hotel. We booked online over two months ago and when we arrived we were told they had computer problems and had lost all the online reservations!!!! We showed proof of our confirmation from Expedia and they called Expedia and Expedia confirmed our reservation!! And yet they did not have a room left for us!! Because of the World Cup soccer game in town the entire town was sold out. The woman behind the counter complained that she had been dealing with these messed up reservations all week and wanted us to take pity on her! Best she could do for us was to lie and tell us she found us another hotel 20 minutes out of town. When we put the address in the GPS it was over 45 minutes away! We had only three hours till gametime so we had to rush to the new Hotel check-in and rush back. It was horrible. She totally ruined our time in Reims. The worst part was that she lied and told us it was only 20 minutes away and she knew very well that it was almost an hour away. That is unforgivable. We could have missed the game. Also when I went back inside to tell the woman that the hotel she was sending us to was not 20 minutes away but 45 minutes away she was checking in somebody else. She clearly had rooms left. It makes me wonder if she was renting out rooms at a higher price and didn't like our Expedia reservation. The staff has no integrity and you should not stay at this hotel. We were offered nothing for the inconvenience and I warn all of you to put no trust in anyone at this hotel!!
Lovely hotel in every respect. The staff were great, polite and always ready to assist. We were there on a bed & breakfast basis. The room was beautifully clean, spacious and with very thing you could possibly need. The breakfast was buffet-style and as good as anywhere we have been in Europe.
The bedroom was adequate but the bathroom "pod" was a high step up from the room and the shower a quarter circle with an inadequate plastic curtain. Great care had to be taken to avoid flooding!. The set evening meal was satisfactory and the house wine was reasonably priced at 3 euros. Breakfast was OK - usual French fare with addition of cereal. Staff were pleasant, watchful and helpful. Travelled with Shearings Holidays so this was not our normal choice of a place to stay.
Stayed here overnight to and from Italy. Extremely clean throughout.. The rooms were very comfortable and the owners friendly and welcoming. Bar prices very reasonable but the breakfast was ordinary continental style. Would stay here again.
Hotel is just off motorway so is good for a stop off.the hotel itself was 3star think it was more like 2star,from going in reception had someone on who couldn't speak English we got sorted went to our room,no air conditioning beds were very hard lots of noise from outside wouldn't go back
