« Should not be a Best Western »

We made the reservation for two adults and my 20 month old son, only on check in were we informed the hotel did not do cribs and we should go to Walmart and buy one for $50, the rooms are small and a little tired, the queen bed was the smallest I have ever seen. the pool was good, but the posted depths were very inaccurate the marked 4ft was at least 5.6 ft deep not what i expect from a Best Western

    « Penticton getaway »

Enjoyed our stay here. It is walking distance to Skaha Lake. Several restaurants and shopping centres are in close proximity. Unfortunately outdoor the pool was not open but we enjoyed the outside seating area. Indoor pool is very humid but the kids seemed to really like playing there.

    5
    « Nice stay »

Good value and immaculately kept hotel near enough to the downtown (about a 5 minute drive). Excellent breakfast and very helpful staff. Hot tub was actually hot! Pool room was wonderful. Overall a nice stop.

    « Bachelorette weekend »

Had a wonderful time! Wine country and great place to stay. Two pools and the outdoor space is wonderful. Highley recommend this hotel for a wonderful getwawy. Family and adult freindly. Good breakfast fresh waffles yummm.

« Nice Family Oreinted Court Yard »

I don't have children however they would thoroughly enjoy the large central lawned courtyard with slides, climbing & play structures, and central pool. The lower level rooms have two entrances. The main entrance outer door has adjacent parking for each unit and the other opens onto the extensive landscaped courtyard. About the perimeter of the courtyard is a sidewalk with off-set picnic tables set on discrete clean concrete pads. Large willow trees provide partial shade. There is a central bank of well maintained BBQs. Its simply a very nice space to relax while you let the youngers wear themselves out.

« our stay at Penticton best western »

we are seniors and stayed mid week, we felt that the price was to high for off season. The desk clerk was unfriendly, and deceptive. for eg. did not tell us that the pool was closed for repair until after we had paid for our room, which should have been a discount. the gap under our door was app. I/2 an inch and I had to shove a towel in the gap to prevent bugs from entering. the bathtub was old and dirty lines around the drain. the toilet seat had a crack in the front center. the fridge was loud and I had to unplug it . the deadbolt would not close properly, and my wife tripped going down the stairs from the second level as the lighting was poor in the evening.

    5
    « Overnight stay »

We had a nice stay, very friendky front desk staff, a great breakfast and an easy checkout. All in all it was a very positive experience. We would recommend it to anyone that would be happy with a reasonably priced, older but well maintained room.

« Great location, very clean, excellent cystomer service and very friendly staff »

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Staff was very accommodating and made me feel so welcome. Awesome breakfast catered to all my dietary needs. Only disappointment was all the spring cleaning and noise around the courtyard. My last day grass was cut walkways painted and it looks marvelous. A very inviting courtyard. Hope to visit wgen the pool is up and running. Being I am a Diamond member I was surprised I wasn't offered an uograde but that's okay my room was great. Short walk to Skaha lake .

    5
« Great place to stay »

They are amazing. They go above and beyond for coustomers. Kids love the pool and the food is great. I would like the Wi-Fi to be a bit faster but it's not horrible. My family will not stay anywhere else in Penticton. Great value

    5
    « Wine country »

this was a central place for exploring the wineries. it was great having breakfast provided as it made it easy to get on the road in the morning. restaurants were within walking distance. room was exactly what we needed and reasonable for the season.

« Great stay in Penticton »

We had a great overnight stay here. The breakfast was great! The room was comfortable and the staff were excellent. i would recommend this property to people looking for a comfortable stay who have a vehicle..

    « Stay experience »

While visiting Penticton to golf over the last 20 years I have stayed at this location because of it's value & cleanliness. It has a great location & is excellent value for your money. The staff are always friendly & helpful.

    5
    « Wonderful breakfast included »

This is an older style 2 story hotel where you park next to your room. Our room was large enough for the two of us, with a front door from the parking lot and a back door to the inner court with grass, outdoor pool and sitting areas. The simple bathroom was quite tight with room for one. The bed was very comfortable and the room was quite. There is also an indoor pool with hot tub. The breakfast is one of the best included meals I have ever had. Full range from scrambled eggs to sliced fruit which is open from 6 AM to 10 AM. It's location gives about 15 minutes walking distance to a few amenities including the beach. Very happy with our stay.

    5
« A nice place to stay with your dog! »

I've stayed here twice for dog training things in the area and the hotel staff are always super nice. The rooms are nicely appointed. Husband and I are planning on going up to sight see and plan on staying here again!

    5
    « Fun Ski Weekend »

Great hotel only about an hour from Apex! Great staff and rooms. Good selection for breakfast that provides you with fuel for a big ski day! :) Then when you get back, you can enjoy the hot tub and pool to unwind.

    5
    « Great trip »

We were here for my daughters dance festival. We had booked a standard room and upon check in we were upgraded to a suite that had 2 separate bedrooms and a kitchenette. The room was great, had everything we needed. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of choices for everyone. I would love to stay here again!

    5
    « great place.. »

Stay here often - wonderful staff, great breakfast and always reliably clean, well appointed rooms. A convenient location is a plus - not far from the beach and downtown stores and restaurants are only a few minutes away. This is always my first choice in Penticton.

    4
    « Nice place »

Room was clean and well appointed, parking was good, breakfast was very good, jet tub was used by my wife and I after a long day at the RV show. Quiet room and very friendly staff, thanks for the quiet night.

    5
    « Great stay. »

Great hotel. Clean, good pool, hot tub and good sized room. Even a green space to run with a small playground area. Fantastic breakfast and a friendly relaxed atmosphere. Parking a bit of a commodity and breakfast could have more organic items and less wastage (but that is every hotel!).

« Our favorite place to stay! »

We book at th BW Penticton every Easter and are never disappointed. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is always amazing! We will continue to book them for our annual trip and always reccomend them to our friends.

    « Good value »

Older motel style. But well kept and maintained. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Breakfast was excellent. The entire staff were excellent as well. Totally recommend this BW. Best place to stay in penticton.

    « Room Reno's needed. »

The room we had was a king suite with a jacuzzi tub. The one section of floor felt like I was going to fall through. The hot water for the bathroom sink would not get hot unless you ran it for 5 minutes, and when it did get warm it would all of the sudden get ice cold again. After running water or having a shower the water pipes in the wall would knock for a hour hour after. When you going to bed it is annoying. The jacuzzi tub should have a warning on it because the wife filled it up which took a half hour. Once she got it filled and she turned the jets on the water shot right out of the sink all over our toiletries bags and soaked them. Not mentioning hitting the wife in the face and scaring her. The last complaint is the baseboard heater in the bathroom was so close to the toilet that when the wife turned it on I almost burnt my leg. I have stayed at this hotel before and had a much more pleasant stay than this time. I did talk to the very nice lady at the front desk and she did tell me that there is some work that is going to be done in the very new future.

    5
« Nice visit. Will be back »

First time staying at this BW. Will come back again. We had the family suite with 2 bedroom and with teenagers this was very nice! The breakfast was amazing!!!! The staff very very polite. Really enjoyed the location as well.

« My husband was admitted to Penticton Hospital, so I needed accommodation for a night. I was treated very well »

The staff was very sympathetic to my problem,. and treated me very well. I also had to stay for 2 nights after the first one, and the staff were once again helpful, phoning taxis for me, and giving me a shoulder to cry on. I thank them very much. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs accommodation in the Penticton area

    4
    « Nice motel - Great location »

I try to stay here every time i travel to the Okanagan. The drive north is spectacular and the proximity to2 lakes makes it an ideal stop for a family, especially in the summer. They have indoor and outdoor pool, bbb pit, access from your room to the yard. Continental breakfast

    4
« Great staff - Price could be lower »

Jamie at the front desk is the best. I have stayed there before and she is an awesome employee. If I were managing the business I would do everything I in my power to keep her on my staff. She has been so helpful and goes out of her way to help. I have stayed in many hotels and have not seen any employee that compares to her.

    4
    « Spring break »

Well cared for accommodations, decent breakfast. There was enough variety to satisfy everyone and the meal changed over the two days. TV in room, internet and bed were great. Nice courtyard play area if we would have had little kids.

    5
« Family and Sports Team Friendly »

We got in on a sweet deal with a 2 bed with kitchen suite on the ground floor. It is only a short 7 minute drive to the community centre and the Save On Foods down the road supplied all our needs, including quick healthy dinner choices. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs as you can hear the people walking around in the room above. The kitchen came fully equipped and we wanted for nothing, except more coffee! Not a fan of the Kuerig. Room was clean and spacious. Good water pressure in the shower, however, the shower head could do with some descaling. And it was nice having the patio door open onto the courtyard. I could see this as being a bonus in the summer for the outdoor pool We took advantage of the indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast was the highlight of the property and they accommodated early starts for the provincial championship swimmers. Even with the larger teams taking up the waffle maker, everyone was courteous and our small team swimmer did not feel overwhelmed. The breakfast buffet had everything for every appetite. There is a coin laundry onsite but we did not make use of it. The only drawbacks I have to say were the small trash bin for the kitchen garbage, older mattress needs replacing and not having a coffee pot and maker.

    « Clean and friendly hotel/motel »

This place was perfect for our trip! The price was right, the staff were awesome to deal with and the room was clean. Nothing fancy but had coffee machine, fridge and microwave in room. Loved the pillows....not super big like most hotels! The free breakfast was awesome, such a wonderful selection!

    1
    « Terrible customer service »

Tried to check into room prepaid for by my company only to be told that unless I have photo ID, after telling them my wallet with my identification was stolen and I'm here from out of province and can't replace it until I return. After showing the front desk woman the police report, my birth certificate and SIN number that Service Canada provided, she still chose to deny me. Best western just lost one large business account.

    « Great Breakfast »

We stayed two nights to go skiing at Apex. Had a nice, clean room with two comfortable double beds. Was a very quiet room with a stove, microwave and toaster. WiFi was excellent (Shaw-Go-WiFi). TV reception was good as well. Breakfast was included and had just about everything you could possibly want - very, very, good. Pool/hot tub area was in a separate building requiring a walk across the courtyard from your room. We didn't take advantage of it but it looked very nice. Apex was a 45 min. drive over a twisty road so might not be for everyone. However, if you don't mind the drive it is a reasonable alternative to staying on the mountain and handy to city amenities. Would definitely stay here again.

« Going to the Scotties »

We booked this hotel 6 months in advance as we were attending the Scotties Women's curling championship and wanted a place that was pet friendly. Overall the experience was good but the initial check in was not. Our room was ready and we had advised the hotel via phone we were bringing a dog. The large sign out front says Pet Friendly. We went in to register bringing along our miniature schnauzer on a leash. The first curt comment we heard was "Dogs are not allowed in the lobby", not a pleasant start. We have traveled for 10 years with a pet and stay at various Best Westerns a dozen times a year and have never been greeted like this. How are you supposed to know this rule without first checking in? After this unpleasant start all went well. The room was fine and clean. The other staff were pleasant. The breakfast was good with plenty of variety. The hotel is older and you can hear the people above you walking around but it was not unpleasant.

    4
    « As expected »

Units are clean and nice. Good Space in queen bed unit. Like bathroom being away from bed area. Noise does travel from below. (Some guest when out side are noise. Staff did deal with it very wel) Staff are excellent.

    3
    « Vic »

The room could stand a good cleaning. Very noisy, The room we were given was a part of adjoining rooms, all movements, conversation could be heard from the next room, Heat setting did not reflect the actual temperature in the room.bed gave me a sore back. We have stayed at Best Western many times over the years so this is a comparison to other BW Inns .

    2
« Dog Friendly but bring your Checkbook! »

Booked a two room suite for 9 days, through Best Western online . Indicated that I was bringing my dogs. When I arrived I was told the fee for dogs was $20/day/dog. At this rate I would expect consierge service for my dog...maybe frequent baths and pedicures. But alas that was not the case. I was warned that if my dogs were ever alone there would be an additional $75 charge for each and every occasion. I told the check in desk that an adult would be with the dogs 24/7....it had no affect on their rules. I believe this pet surcharge is excessive....I stayed at a Hilton Inn Edmonton and the fee was $50 for the entire length of stay. Needless to say I will never enter their lobby ever again.

    4
« Very nice motel accommodation »

This is a motel with all rooms accessible from the outside. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was good, but one had to go outside to reach the dining room.

    5
    « Great friendly motel. »

Rally great, friendly staff. Very clean property. Room was small but recently upgraded. Really good value for the money. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room was spotless with fresh food. Would stay here again.

    5
« Great Price with a Full Breakfast »

I needed a place to rest for a couple nights but also at a great rate. I am really glad to have chosen the best western. Very friendly lobby staff. The hotel at this time of year was not too busy so very restful and the free full breakfast in the morning made each day start out just right with a big screen TV to catch up on the news from 7am-10am. We had a king sized bed nice clean linen sheets and lotsa pillows and a big screen TV. The fridge in the cupboard underneath nice and cold. I liked that the best-western is eco-friendly and check-in and check-out was very easy as you can do it online before you get there to make it faster. Free wifi very fast and many channels and movies to choose from. Walmart close by 2 min drive and close to Skaha lake. Definitely will suggest as a place to stay for a hotel in Penticton.

    5
« Very clean, friendly staff good value »

This hotel has rooms which have been updated, and everything in and outside seems to be keep up. The free breakfast was convenient and the hotel is just minutes from shopping and restaurants and just a few minutes more to down town.

    4
    « A haven in the snow »

We stopped in Penticton because of snow. The woman at the desk was very pleasant and helpful?same with the one in the morning. The breakfast was very good. There were no near restaurants to walk to for dinner?we had had enough of driving.

  • 4
    « Great Breakfast »

Waffle makers are excellent! Meat with breakfast changed during our stay so we were not bored. Attentive kitchen staff kept things stocked and clean. There is a pool / hot tub in a separate building. Was too cold (end of December) to walk outside to / from room and pool building. However, it looked nice...

    5
    « Great Hotel »

This hotel has been around for awhile but the rooms have been updated and it has great amenities. The staff are great, very helpful. The location is a bit out of the way, if you have a car with you that is not a problem though and the bus does stop right outside. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance.

    4
    « Another good stay. »

Need new pillows but other then that another good stay except for our disrespectfully neighbors (room 202)..If you happen to read this...you knew full well when we made eye contact that we could hear your vocal sex romp yet after your cigarette proceeded to go back in and make sure you were within ear shot for round 2..lol...probably left the curtains open on purpose too..Trashy behaviour to say the least and thankfully our grandchildren had left. Please people have some class and self respect when staying in hotels..

    5
« Great stay for value »

We found the rooms to be very clean, surprisingly large. Even though its a cool walk in the winter as the facility is separate from the rooms, the Pool was nice and hot tub clean & HOT ! Very nice Breakfast set up, lots of items to chose from.

    5
« Amazing Value and Superb Staff »

I never write reviews. However we have been at the BW Penticton for two nights, and have one more night left over the holiday break between Christmas and New Years. I can not say enough about the amazing staff at this location. The front desk team (Paige on nights, and I believe its Angela that's on days) have truly gone above and beyond to help ensure that our stay with our two children ages two and four has been far beyond our expectations. We were kindly given the Tower Suite, a two story two bathroom, full ktichenette suite which could not have been more ideal for us. The layout allows us to put the youngest down for a nap during the day while not having to be quiet. And at night both kids can go to bed while we enjoy adult time - almost unheard of in a tyical hotel style room. The onsite full breeakfast has also been fabulous. Cooked breakfast options and a full continental accompaniment means we start the day with full and happy bellies. The only downside is having to get fully dressed in winter gear to get to the pool. But when thats all you have on the agenda for the day - then its really not such a hardship! From the games and dvds for the kids, to the colouring printouts being delivered to our door, I truly can not say enogh good things about our stay. The beds are comfortable, and rooms clean, and the staff exceptional. We will definitly be back - the staff are amazing and deserve recognition!

    4
    « Over Night Stay »

Great hotel for a over night stay. Good location. Great service. Hotel was quiet. Price was reasonable. Rented the two bed room unit. Worked well for the four of us. Our journey took us to Summerland the next day. It was a short drive to our destination. We would stay again. Bill

    4
    « Better than expected »

Great place to stay, clean rooms, comfortable beds, indoor and outdoor pools. a very good breakfast buffet with quality food choices, located close to the lake. Staff was very friendly and no hassle check in or out.

    4
« Good Value for the City »

A bit tucked away, this hotel is definitely great value for the location. The full breakfast also adds exceptional value, as most hotels in this city do not offer breakfast. Comy beds, clean rooms if a bit dated, and friendly staff make this a great choice.

    4
« Great Place to Stay! »

The staff were very friendly and helpful, made you feel welcome. Our room was very clean and comfortable. They have done some upgrading to the rooms and it felt very modern. The Complimentary Breakfast was amazing and very well presented and the staff were very diligent in keeping the area clean and well stocked.

    4
    « Convenient and Clean »

Front desk help was super friendly and personable and helpful. My flight was delayed to the extreme and ended up Needing to check in a day late- they were very understanding and credited me the majority of my room charges for the next day's stay.

  • 4
    « Enjoyed the stay »

Courteous & friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed, and excellent breakfast selection. My wife and I would stay again. The only thing we would change is the room that we stayed in because in #226 when it's a bit windy from the south it does whistle quite a bit as it comes through the outside corridor/entry area.

    3
« Older But Still Good »

An older BW and some upgrades would be nice. It was clean and the bed was compfy and everything was clean. I found the bathroom in need of some upgrades. The jacuzzi tub didn't work all that well. The breakfast was the normal one you get at a BW. It was just fine. The staff were friendly. In all, it was a good stay.

    4
« Good property, in a quiet location »

This hotel was one of the better properties that I had stayed at during my travels to Penticton. Clean, good value, good breakfast and nice staff. Also, it is pet friendly. Most Best Westerns are not pet friendly.

    4
« Nice service and rooms and with a nice breakfast offered »

Another nice stay here. Comfortable room and with a nice breakfast offered. The hot tub and pool area I like as well. Our check in was spot on excellent and was able to check in an hr earlier than normal. Thanks.

    3
« Best breakfast on the road-exceeding most other hotels. »

This modest, clean and friendly lodging was a nice stop along the way. Nobody does breakfast better! Sadly, the queen bed was too soft, and the room rather tiny. Our request for an upgrade would only be accommodated if we were willing to pay more.

    4
    « Fun Work Trip »

We stayed for 3 nights last week. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was on the main floor. Hotel is quite older and out dated. But our room was clean. Bed was soo comfy.. we weren't expecting that! It was close to an awesome pub and in a great central area. WIFI worked well. Continental breakfast each morning was awesome! We loved the waffle station. We would stay here again.

    3
« Good place to stay »

It is clean and the staff are friendly. The price is a bit high and space is smaller than what I expected. overal experience was good except for that two points.I would recommend this place if the price would adjust to the size and quality of the rooms.

    3
« The stay was great accept for the bed »

We were stay two nights for a business engagement and found the staff very professional, helpful, and friendly. We would stay there again if we knew they had new beds. The location was great and convenient to the city,Our free breakfast was great to.

    5
« My hotel in the Okanagan region. »

This hotel is definitiv my hotel in the region. Quiet, comfortsable, clean, easy going, friendly, super for families too. Very nice playground free of any traffic and very good situated for lakes and the Naramata. AND very affordable!

    3
    « Best Western, Penticton »

Being here for a conference, the internet connection and ability to work was next to impossible. Again, charging my card for an extra $100 in addition to the total amount for the stay already been charged for was frankly inefficient on the part of the hotel.

« GREAT STAY, GREAT LOCATION »

This BEST WESTERN has the perfect location when visiting the OKANAGAN valley. It is a short drive to osoyoos to the south and a nice drive to kelowna to the north. The rooms are nice and clean and spacious, and some even have a kitchette, likes ours, which is nice to be able to cook ones fresh veggies and fruit, one just bought at one of the many fruit and vegetable stands. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The ladies at the breakfast area always kept the breakfast items well stocked, even have local variety of fruit every day. The only negative is that the breakfast area is upstairs, with no elevator. The grounds are very well maintained. The outdoor pool, BBQ area, picnic tables, play structure in great shape. Even have an in door pool and hot tub. When ever we will go back to the OKANAGAN VALLEY we will definitely go here again. GREAT JOB BW

    4
    « Excellent stay »

We stayed the night, while we really only needed a bed, my wife and I were given a nice suite. A great hot breakfast and cheerful staff to see us on our way. While our stay was short , the pleasant feeling lasted on our trip.

    5
« Our stay at Best Western »

The experience was wonderful, the rooms were lovely and clean. The staff were great and the breakfast was beyond our expectations, so thank you very much...from a very satisfied customer,,,we will be back for sure.

    5
    « EXCELLENT OVERNIGHT STAY »

This was probably the best stay during our recent road trip. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable, and because of an upgrade, it was a King bed room with a kitchenette. From the time we arrived until we left, the staff was very efficient and attentive - and they even followed up with us via e-mail after we had left. The grounds were well maintained and pleasant. The amenities - including WIFI, as well as the indoor pool - were very good, and the complimentary breakfast was superb (probably the best hot, complimentary breakfast we have experienced). There was a wide variety of selections for breakfast, including omelets, ham, etc., that were well presented and kept fresh and renewed by an attendant.

    3
« Older hotel with potential »

My wife and my mother went out to the Okanagan to visit family. It was very easy to find, lots of parking. The grounds were already packed away for fall, but looked like it would have been very nice during the summer months.. it had an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and beautiful grounds to relax. The hotel itself was an older building, the decor was old, and could use some modern upgrades... the beds were alright, rooms were not overly large. Everything was average nothing special at all. The breakfast was very good, lots to choose from. The customer service was amazing.

    5
« Excellent place to stay »

Stayed for 6 nights during which the staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities Clean and comfortable facilities. Although dinner not available it is not too much of a problem as there are plenty of places within Penticton

Hubby and I love staying here because the rooms are comfortable, clean and the hot breakfast can't be beat! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for our needs. We keep coming back.

    « More than adequate »

We recently stayed at this Bestwestern in Penticton during the Thanksgiving weekend and must say the motel was very busy.Reception was very prompt and professional and we felt welcomed. The room was exactly as advertised and very comfortable during our four day stay and was clean and in good condition. The breakfast selections were more than I anticipated and included mini-omelettes and sausages as well as a waffle maker, cereal, toast, bagels and a good selection of morning pastries. The fresh coffee was terrific and the offering of fresh Okanogan fruit was impressive. The breakfast area was very busy with all sorts of travellers, but the seating seemed adequate and the room was flawlessly clean due to the fine efforts of the staff! Good to see Bestwestern's new and better attitude toward providing the traveller a good hot breakfast in the morning rather than the stale and minimum offerings of the past! I have used this chain for many years and will spend 31 days in Palm Desert in November because of the extraordinary breakfasts they offer and the terrific rates they offer for this period of time! The staff are all so friendly and welcoming that we have returned five years of the last six! Look to this facility as a model for the rest and you will never suffer for customers!

The room was clean and quiet. It is an Inn so all the rooms are outside. The night clerk Paige was very friendly. The "Hot" Breakfast was not hot, there was no microwave to warm things up. The self serve waffles were the only thing hot, the toppings were not labeled

    « Great breakfast! »

Spent 2 nights after arriving in from long flights from overseas. Check-in staff was very nice and helpful and provided a goodie-bag with water and granola bars after I said I was too tired to find a restaurant. The bed was very comfortable and the internet and tv service was very good. Bathroom floor was not very clean though and the carpet could use a shampooing. The closet door was falling off it's hinges. The breakfast was really amazing - hot waffles with berry compote, syrup and whipped cream, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, cereals, fruit, cinnamon buns etc.etc. Really fresh and delicious served in a clean and comfortable breakfast room. Seriously, if the rooms were given a better cleaning and a bit of maintenance done this place would really be a gem considering the friendly service, good location and great breakfast.

    « Ok But......privacy and decor »

I never book with this hotel chain without thinking it is just a basic accommodation, clean, comfortable and secure. This hotel is clean but a little shabby - like a small resort motel when people spend most of their time on the beach and just sleep in their room. My main complaint is that Room 99 has a large window that is directly looking into the same floor lobby - like within six feet or so of where people walk and the window covering was some shabby, decades old vertical blinds. There was also some concern about the shoddy lock on the bathroom window and the same vertical blinds on the opposite window which looked out on to a common area courtyard. This would have all been uncomfortable etc. other than the price was exorbitant for the room to begin with. I was travelling by myself and felt a little nervous but it was so late when I discovered the stupid lobby window that I decided to tough it out in silence. I wish now I would have complained then and demanded my money back so I could have driven home that night rather than waste my $200. My mistake! Next time I will be more cautious about booking with Best Western and treat them like I do most cheaper hotels - check the room before I agree to the price and accept the deal. Disappointed in this hotel and the chain if this is the standards they accept,.

The Inn has lovely outside green space on Skaha Lake. The welcome was charming. The breakfast served everything one could possible want. I recommend having dinner at Theos - a fine Greek restaurant nearby .

Everything was as expected and the front desk staff were so friendly. Special thanks to our housekeeping lady Sarah who helped me search for my husbands iPod that he had mislaid (was found under the seat in the car) Breakfast was adequate and the apples in the reception area were superb. Will stay here again when visiting family in care home in Penticton

« Comfortable, clean with very friendly staff »

Right from the moment of our check in we felt very welcome here. The staff were very friendly and interested in us....we even had a complimentary bottle of local wine sent to our room. The hotel had all the facilities we needed and was spotlessly clean.Staff assisted us with booking wine tours. The breakfast was different each morning and was a good start to the day. We thought it was execellent value, best we have had on our trip to Canada.

« Clean, Friendly but pricey by comparison »

Very friendly staff upon check in but didn't get the Best Western "Elite" treatment I've received at other BW hotels. Was too tired to worry about it though. Overall room was clean, but shower leaked despite efforts to contain the water. Bed was comfortable and served its purpose for a night's sleep en route to wine country. Breakfast was ok and breakfast staff very pleasant. Likely look at other hotel options in the area next time.

    « Hotel Review »

This is a good basic hotel some paint is necessary on the outside and the rug in the room needs to be changed but all was acceptable and comfortable. Friendly service at the front desk as one might expect. Breakfast was excellent. No complaints.

    « old and over-priced »

First, the good part: friendly staff, a decent breakfast, and a separate thermostat in the bathroom. Now for the bad stuff...A really old hotel with relatively small rooms. No elevator and the breakfast room on the 2nd floor and no handicap-accessible rooms -- all bad for the elderly people in our group. No electrical outlet by the work table. Curtains that don't fully close. Very noisy pipes. Shower curtains that don't properly prevent water from splashing on the floor (with the resultant mold on the floor).

« Poor maintenance of pool area and A/C units in rooms »

Stayed here with another couple while our hubby's biked the Kettle Valley Trail. Hotel has large play area for kids, and both indoor and outdoor pools. But pool maintenance needs more attention; the tiles on the inside edges of the outdoor pool were filthy. Our room was adequate and looked clean, but there was a funny smell coming from the air-conditioning unit. We assumed it needed cleaning, but it appeared to be working OK. However, our friends unit suddenly began to make an extremely loud noise at 4 am, so they had to quickly get out of bed and turn it off. The next morning they took the cover off to see what had caused the problem, and it was absolutely THICK with dirt and dust. Clearly the routine maintenance on the AC units is sorely lacking. My friends told the front desk about the problem, and the fact that they'd had a disturbed sleep, and had been unable to go back to sleep after the incident due to the room becoming unbearably hot. But, although the front desk clerk apologized, they were not offered any kind of a discount on a future reservation or anything by way of compensation. Which was very poor customer service, as my friends are regular BW customers, who had paid $200 for this particular one night stay. To make matters worse, when my friend went to use the hair dryer BW had placed in the room, it didn't work. I had to lend her the one from my room. To this hotels credit the complimentary breakfast is one of the best I've had in any BW hotel. But the overall maintenance of the place needs some serious attention.

    4
« Not really handicap accessible »

Note if you are handicapped the breakfast is served on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. The staff is very understanding but that will not feed you. Also they do not have handicapped rooms so if you need a roll-in shower you are out of luck. Other than that it is a nice clean well accommodated facility.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Stayed here for one night - it was clean and comfortable if a little pricey for what it was - i.e. a bit dated. There were lots of very noisy kids around during the daytime. Breakfast was included but it's a bit basic, although there were fresh local peaches which were excellent.

« Nice clean room + great breakfast included »

We've stayed at this BW for 5 years now. It's always clean, the people are great and the included breakfast is outstanding. Both pools + hot tub are well maintained. It's a short walk to the beach and the ice cream shop!

« A community feeling- Best Hotel in the Valley for Family orientated groups »

For our family we have been coming to this hotel for well over 20 years. Every year we come the same two weeks and during that time we have built bonds with other similar hotel guests and families. We may only see these other families once a year but the memories of our two weeks together have created friendships that will last a lifetime. Our kids have grown up with not only other children at the hotel but also with the hotel staff. This hotel is one of the best in the valley at truly appreciating the core values of what it means to be a family. The movies in the court yard at night, the children's inflatables piled nicely in the court yard from hotel guests, the comradery built around the BBQ pits, and at least during our stay the S'mores that are prepared for the entire hotel by my family creates memories that will last across generations. With both indoor and outdoor pools the weather is never an issue. The centralized court yard encourages interaction between guests and sure some games of hearts, crib or even glow in the dark Bocce Ball can get a little loud with excitement, the respect for other guests as well as the bylaws for noise are first and foremost in everyone's mind. If you are looking for a hotel that embraces what it means to be on vacation and the key attributes of spending time with loved ones, creating memories that will last a lifetime and developing friendships that will grow throughout the years this hotel is for you. Kelly, Jamie and the entire staff work hard and tirelessly to make sure that every aspect of the resort is perfect and up to the great standards of the Best Western reputation. The only suggestion to improve the experience is to create a dedicated smoking area so that those who wish to indulge in a smoke can do so away from the kids and families who are smoke free.

« Nice place, shame about the lack of control of other guests »

Our stay at this property combined good factors and bad factors. In the plus column were the rooms, which were adequate, and the option to use the tables outside our room to enjoy our evening meal and interact with other guests. In the negative column was the incredible noise of fellow guests sitting outside our room and conducting conversations at full volume right up to (and after) 1.30am each night!! When we contacted Reception we were told that management was obliged to observe the local bylaws which permitted loud noise until 11pm! What a copout!! What provider of accommodation chooses to hide behind local bylaws at the expense of their other guests? When 11pm came and the noise continued unabated, we rang Reception again and were told they would "see what they could do"!! Apparently there was little they could do, as the noise continued for a further 2-3 hours. This could have been a great stay, if only the management recognised that the needs of the majority should prevail over the needs of a noisy minority. We will never stay here again!!

« Wasn't happy with room service. Very sad and disappointing »

Resort is central locationed to the Okanagan Valley, and the 2 lakes at Penticton. Also well located for winery visits, especially the Narramata Bench. Lots for kids to do on-site and a reasonable sized pool, and adjacent BBQs.

« room not available at check in dirty sheets & bra on floor »

Room was not available at check in - had reservations confirmed when putting children to bed on pull out sofa - discovered the sheets had not been changed from previous occupants - had to call to front desk to have clean sheets delivered and had to make up bed discovered a bra under the front edge of the pull out sofa in the morning after the children had slept on sofa overnight room had definitely not been clean as thoroughly as we expect when staying at a Best Western location - very disappointed in addition, people in units close by let their dogs out early in the morning and the dogs then barked and whined for half hour until their owners finally let them back in

    « Disappointing »

We spent a week at the Best Western Inn at Penticton. Location and amenities great. Room service didn't happen. But the real issue is the noise. There are no longer any rules in place. Children with huge lake size floaties, large groups commandeering tables and sitting out till 1:00 a.m. while the children ran up and down the stairs and around the complex. It is still a lovely facility and our room service was discussed however it would be nice to put a few limits on a few people who take advantage.

    « Always a fun stay! »

Our stay: July 24th to July 29th, 2017. This hotel is a favorite of ours and has been for many years. We won't stay anywhere else! The staff are amazingly friendly to us and our kids from the moment we check in, to all the little in between requests until checkout. The hotel has two pools.. indoor and outdoor which are both clean and enjoyable, the courtyard space is beautifully kept, spacious, and a great space for the kids to play or to sit and relax. Lots of tables and chairs. The complimentary breakfast.. what can I say??! This isn't your average free hotel breakkie with toast and cereal. They go all out here.. eggs, hash browns, sausages, cereals, yogurt, breads, bagels, baked goods, waffles, juice, coffee.. its amazing and the staff keep it well stocked the entire duration of their breakfast hours and always with a smile on their faces. The kids loved the little details of this hotel from fun munchies in the hotel lobby throughout the day and the outdoor movies in the courtyard every evening. My only perhaps negative comment for this hotel is it is a little older and could use some fix ups on the outside but by no means did this effect our stay nor did it take away from the enjoyment. The rooms are clean, our a/c was in good working order and the maid service was great!! This hotel books up quickly in the summers so highly recommend you book as early as they will let you. But it does not surprise me they fill up quickly. Awesome hotel run by amazing staff!

« Room very poor and expensive, breakfast, outdoor facilies very good »

Our family of 4 just stayed 3 nights in BW in Penticton. As the reviews had been pretty good and we had booked the suite 2 to over cad 300/night I had expected much more and was in tears when I saw the room. The old and spotted carpet, the very old sofa (really did not want to sit on it), the extremely faded decor, the useless cheap mirror sliding doors on wardrope making it impossible to use or put a suitcase in it, 2 extremely small rooms with no space for even just 1 suitcase, old table and chairs. Bathroom very small but ok. However, what was good was the fridge, swimmingpool (though new cushions for lounge chairs needed), the bbq grill, multiple tables and chairs outside, the other lovely guests, very nice breakfast, walking distance to lake Skaha. Do not expect to get the membership discount that Best Western advertise in their tv adds at the moment on this hotel. We were not given any explanation on why. Really BW - we had expected more.

I was scheduled to stay here Friday night (July 21st) but ended up checking out 3 hours after arriving due to flight changes. The lovely lady (Laura? I wish every person I met in a customer service role was as awesome as her! Thanks for making my short stay memorable :)

    « Nice stay »

We stayed here for 5 nights in July. We had a kitchen room. It had a queen bed and a pull out couch, full kitchen (no oven) and table and chairs. The room was pretty small but functional, it could have been a bit cleaner. The bed was comfortable but the sofa bed was not, but our daughter didn't seem to mind. We had our baby with us as well and they do not provide playpens which is very inconvenient and after traveling with our babies so much I can't believe they don't as every other hotel I've stayed at does (including the best western in Kelowna)! We borrowed one from family so we made due. The pool area was nice, they have an outdoor one with loungers, and an indoor pool and hot tub. They have a nice green space which all of the rooms face towards. They had a sandbox full of sand toys which our kids loved as well. They have BBQs, many tables and chairs to use too which is really nice. There is a bit of playground equipment as well. Our toddlers enjoyed the outdoor space and so did we, we could relax and they could run around and play in a safe area. They offer a free hot breakfast which was great! They have waffle stations with many toppings, bacon or sausage, eggs and omelettes, juices, coffee/tea, water, cereals/oatmeal, pastries, muffins and cinnamon buns, yogurt, breads and French toast for toasting, and a variety of fruit. They switch up a few thugs each day but even after 5 days we were still happy. They keep it fresh as well. Definitely a perk of this hotel. They have highchairs to use there too so that was great for our baby. The hotel itself is a motel style (which is fine) but it is a bit dated. Some days the house keeping was much better than other so I guess it depends on who was cleaning. But overall it was a good stay and we would recommend it!

    « Great family hotel »

all the amenities you need, clean, included breakfast and an indoor pool, outdoor pool and hot tub. We stay here every time we come to Penticton. We don't have kids but it seems there are a lot of things to do for children including an outdoor movie. Despite the large volume of visitors it was very quite at night.

« Comfortable old style BW with a lot of space and facilities »

This BW has been around for quite a while. In this case, this is a good thing. It means that rooms are spacious, and so are the public areas. The latter include a very large interior courtyard, pool, etc. Overall, this place has been well maintained also, and there have been significant room upgrades over the years. Included breakfasts are OK, too. Overall: reliable and good value.

    4
« Outside Pool, Shaded Sitting Areas, BBQ, and Breakfast »

The Good: Outside Pool, Shaded Sitting Areas, BBQ (Propoane and Briquette), Breakfast, DIY Guest Laundry, Kitchenette Suite The Bad: Poor Maintenance. Kitchen cupboard panel fell on my foot, dining table fell apart as broken, stairway railing broke while my toddler was using. Requested some repairs and completed on "as requested" basis but this place needs a maintenance overhaul.

    5
    « Restful Comfort! »

I continue to return to this Best Western in Penticton for its warm hospitality, modern and clean rooms, delightful and refreshing grounds (with swimming pools), and outstanding breakfast. The staff is welcoming and the location is perfect ~ not too far from Skaha Lake with beach and lakeside walking paths.

    5
    « Nice Family Inn »

We stayed 3 nights at the Best Western during very hot weather so we were thankful for the air conditioning which was easy to control. Th rooms surround a very large courtyard which has a pool, a BBQ area and various tables, chairs and play equipment. There were always people out in this area as there were some nice shady trees so one could sit and chat while the kids were busy. There were a number of larger groups and multigenerational families so it's a great place for an extended family vacation. There is also an indoor pool available. The breakfast area and food are among the best we have seen. There were three attendants working each morning, and that makes a difference. The hot offerings were not kept really hot, but that was to be expected. Their general coffee is not so good, but they offer a Keurig next to it for better coffee (and there's one in the room). Outdoor veranda seating is also available. The room we had was large and comfortable although it could use a nice comfy chair to sit in. We were on the lower floor so it felt a little awkward to have people sitting outside our sliding glass door in the courtyard. A sheer curtain helps some. The bathroom had a jetted tub which we didn't try. For some reason the countertops were lower than usual. One other minor complaint was the small fridge didn't seem all that cold. The beach/park is a few blocks away so you can enjoy the beach or the swimming pool at the hotel. The choice is yours. I would not hesitate to stay here again

    2
« Not recommended at all! »

Not worth the money at all. Don't stay at this Hotel!!! Lots of smoking going on outside of the rooms, near the guest-room windows and the air conditioniners. The customer service is terrible, specially the check-out one, the is an older lady with a horrible attitude. They don't have extra blankets for the night. The Hotel is noisy and the yard is really crowded, with only a few picnic tables.

    3
    « Mixed experience »

This is an older property and this year for the Granfondo Axel Merckx we booked a suite to share with my wife, sister and brother in law and their daughter. This hotel was not our first choice, having stayed there before, but it was the only one that could take a party of five when we booked in December. Staff are very good but the place is showing its age: the hairdryer in Rm. 215 tripped the circuit breaker every time it was used, the headboard in the secondary bedroom fell off the wall and guillotined the electrical cords plugged into the wall below it, creating an almighty spark, destroying the outlet and tripping the circuit breaker. The tub in the main bathroom did not drain properly and the room decor was up-to-date for 1978. The layers of paint on the chrome of the bathroom paper holder tells the tale. I think a major renovation is required to keep this place up to BW Plus standards. The breakfasts were good and overall the grounds are pleasant. Some long-deferred renovations and maintenance should be done soon though.

    « Great for families »

Several family members stayed here while attending a nearby wedding. Age ranges were 1 to 87 and there was something for everyone. Having the grass, tables, shade, pool, rooms close by and a good breakfast made for a great venue!

    « Misrepresented room »

We attended a wedding in June 2017. When we contacted Best Western, we were told the room was a two bedroom with a kitchenette. This was not the case. It was a one bedroom with two queen beds and a pocket door between the beds. Anyone in the far bed would have to go through the other persons space to get outside the room. While this might be good for a family with children, it is not for adults. At no point in any phone conversation(and there were a few), did anyone say one room was inside the other. Had the inn been upfront, we would not have booked this particular room. All that being said, the staff was courteous and others in our party were happy with their rooms. Just be upfront with what you are offering.

Our group has stayed at this hotel for many years and each year we are welcomed and made to feel appreciated. This year we planned a BBQ for our club members on the hotel grounds and they surprised us with their contribution of salads and deserts! Totally unexpected....but, very much appreciated. We were also asked to display our cars in front of the hotel which was also unexpected and a pleasant surprise.

Recently stayed here for 2 nites, its about 10 mins drive from the Greyhound bus stop, 5-7 mins walk from the Skaha Beach. Room was big, clean, bed was very comfortable. Front desk staff Jamie was very nice n kind, housekeeping was good. Breakfast was fantastic; all hot and well cooked. Highly recommended!

« Expensive for what it is »

Two nights in a one bedroom suite. Compared to other establishments in the Okanagan, this was a poor value. Overdue for a renovation, bed was comfy though. Breakfast food could have been better quality. I have certain expectations when I pay $550 for two nights.

    « Great Place »

The staff was great, the room was very quiet, spotless, it was the Sedona suite, 108 it had 2 TV's full kitchen one queen bed.The grounds are very nice, you have a choice of places to sit out side, there are two pools, one indoors and one outside, the breakfast has a real good selection.

« Very affordable and great breakfasts »

Rooms are a tad on the small side (which perhaps accounts for the very reasonable price) but scrupulously clean and beds very comfy. Jolly and very helpful reception staff. And breakfast marvelous (not the sometimes boring sausage patty but delicious sliced ham) and lots of fruit. And lovely outdoor eating area on the terrace. Grounds nicely landscaped as well.

We had a very good stay. The hotel was appealing in the front with beautiful flowers. The lobby was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was tidy and fresh. We loved that our back door accessed a large courtyard with huge shade trees and clean tables and chairs for everyones use.The breakfast was excellent and the ladies in charge; did a great job.We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with everyone. We would gladly recommend the Best Western in Penticton to others.

    « Nice! Very Nice! »

We spent one night at the Best Western in Penticton and had a great experience. The weather had been rainy so it was a real pleasure to enjoy the swimming pool in the afternoon sun. Our room was situated behind a tree on the second floor which partially blocked the view but kept us cool without listening to the air conditioner. Nice bedding, a fabulous shower and well appointed amenities including a fridge - but the overall space was a little cramped. Loved the outside seating area at breakfast and the outstanding presentation of food choices. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Great setup »

The rooms were very clean and tidy. Courtyard with the outdoor Bbq's were a great touch, patio chairs and tables for everyone in our group. we were able to sit outside and enjoy the afternoon while the kids played in the pools. Parking is very easy to get close to your rooms.

    « Excellent service »

Staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. A 2 bedroom suite was perfect. The best thing about BW hotels is that they don't control the room temp but allow you to adjust to how you sleep best which is so important as I travel for business all the time. Most hotels have a controlled low for sleeping which is ridiculous. Half the price of the other hotels as well.

    « Not too impressed »

First time I stayed here for business was woken up by police kicking in the doors on the rooms next to me at 1 in the morning thought I would give them another try will not do that again writing this at 2 am not sleeping again put in a room behind the lobby in the parking lot no view, traffic do not stay here if you value sleep and peac

    « impressive »

stayed here for a week. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will come and stay again next time we are in Penticton. Close to everything .the staff from front desk to housekeeping, to breakfast room to maintenance were very very friendly and helpful. The courtyard was a fantastic place to relax when not on the go. Rooms were clean. Only 2 issue the blinds were too short and not wide enough so the light from outside our window shone in as well as sunlight and AC was beside 1 of the beds so that person would get cold at night

« Good value clean and hassle free. »

My second trip in a couple of months. Upgraded to a more spacious room. Had everything you needed. Internet great air conditioning which in the summer is needed. The pool was small but great for kids. Lots of outdoor seating. Breakfast filled you up.

« Great Pool and Courtyard »

From the check in to the check out the staff were friendly and helpful. The central courtyard is a green oasis and a wonderful place to relax. Lots of variety for the hot breakfast buffet and the kitchen staff went out of their way to make sure we got what we wanted

Receptionist makes you feel welcome, the staff are friendly, they are courteous. The bedroom was really comfortable even had a decent coffee machine with a choice of ordinary or decaffeinated and not instant coffee. breakfast selection, quality and presentation couldn't have asked for better.

« Great value and a nice atmosphere »

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights over Victoria Day weekend. When we drove up to the hotel, it looked a bit dated on the outside and we were skeptical. However, our room was very modern and clean. The hotel grounds are great. There is an indoor and an outdoor pool with a playground for kids. There are tables and barbecues outside and a very comfortable courtyard. The breakfast was great as well. The bonus for us came when we had to check out early in the morning, prior to breakfast. They asked us if we wanted a breakfast to go. We were given a large bag that had a muffin, yogurt, hard boiled egg, fruit, a juice box and a bottle of water! What a nice touch. The only thing we didn't like was the window from our room looked directly at the next building and we couldn't open our curtains to get natural light (avoid room 224)

« Hotel room for one night »

We were so disappointed when we went to our room, we thought this 'hotel' was an ordinary hotel with ordinary rooms, but no, it was divided into suites. We are not computer friendl y people and the rate we were charged was astronomical, there was no room at all in the room, and where was the kitchen??? Also, the breakfast room was upstairs with no elevator for a handicapped person such as my wife. This was the most disappointing and closet sized room we've ever stayed in and will never be back again. William, Victoria, B.C.

    « Best Experience »

This was one of the best experiences we have had staying at a Best Western. The front desk ladies were extremely friendly and welcoming. The patio outside our room was a bonus and I haven't seen so many people enjoying the courtyard. Was very relaxing and enjoyable.

« Good value in a quiet setting »

The staff of this Best Western is very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is always good. Rooms are comfortable, if sometimes a bit funky. Swimming pool and hot tub. Nicely tended gardens. I think it provides the best value in the area.

This hotel was very economical and has beautiful grounds. The breakfast buffet was amazing as were the amenities. The staff here are super friendly and accommodating. Would love to go back with or family and enjoy the outdoor pool and BBQ area under the huge trees and even a sand box!

    « Beautiful Property »

This property is well kept & beautifully landscaped. There's a spacious area of lawn, picnic tables & playground equipment including a seasonal outdoor pool. The indoor pool is especially appreciated in the Winter months. Here the pool was a comfortable temperature, crystal clear & without any chlorine smell. Pool towels are provided in the rooms. There are many room configurations to choose from. Our room was a common 2 Queen beds 1 bathroom with tub & shower. There was also a bar fridge, Keurig coffee machine & a sliding glass door to a narrow outside walkway. Our room rate included a buffet breakfast in a lovely upstairs eating area. Food was varied & fresh, including watermelon, sausages, bagels, yogurt & much more. This is a very popular place to stay for families, conference goers, vacationers & work crews, so make your reservations well in advance.

« Don't be fooled by the "Best Western" this place is a dump! »

This accommodation is anything but accommodating! My husband is a Best Western club rewards member so he is very familiar with the service and cleanliness standards of this hotel chain. We were heading up to Penticton with his 2 adult sons and families and another family member. My husband booked 2 rooms, through Tripadvisor, one regular room for son #1 and requested a suite for us, thinking it would be larger and we could use it for visiting. We were shocked to see our "suite" when we arrived. Extremely cramped, the sofa bed was thread bare and filthy, the bedroom had a double bed crammed into it with just a foot and half on either side of the bed and a small dresser with a TV on it which left no room to store our luggage. You could barely turn around in the bathroom. While all the rooms in this motel opened up on the pool courtyard, our view was of a rusty stair case, bike rack, recycle bin and garbage can. The suite looked nothing like the room rooms shown on the website. We called to complain about the room and all they asked if we wanted the sofa cleaned!? The sofa should be thrown out as it was beyond cleaning. We said "no we wanted to switch rooms". We were told they had no other suites available but after viewing our sons' rooms we found that they were in fact roomier than the " suite" and said we would be happy with a regular room. We did not even care about the difference in cost. They said they would call us an let us know when we could be switched. We left our suite, so as to leave it " unused" with the assumption we would be moving. By 9 PM we had not heard from the front desk so we ended up staying in the suite and tossed a blanket over the sofa bed so we would have somewhere to sit. We were paying more for our room than our sons' regular rooms. In the morning Son#1 called and said he had been rudely woken up by someone at the front desk insisting he had not paid for his room, however my husband had paid for both rooms on his credit card. When we checked with the desk they said they were unsure why the call was made. The next day we requested to be moved again. Another member of our party was vacating her suite which was double the size of ours and they again said they would check and call as when they could switch us. She was also paying less than us for a much larger suite. Again, no call back or effort to accommodate us. While complaining to son #2 about the lack of customer service at the front desk he mentioned that as he was trying to check in the clerk answered the phone 3 times and was checking availability for the parties on the phone instead of checking him in, keeping his wife and 2 kids waiting in the car for over 20 minutes. Son #1 had a spa tub in his room. His wife filled it to have a jet tub however when she turned on the jets brown chunks that they could only hope were just "dirt" came shooting out of the jets. Furthermore, when they were packing up to leave they found the previous guest's dirty underwear behind a chair. Very evident that the cleaning was below standards of a Best Western. Staff ,while seaming sympathetic to our complaints were just providing lip service and really did not care, leaving us feeling very frustrated and ripped off to say the least! This was off season so the place had vacancies. This motel is so mis-managed it is a joke. That Best Western lends its good name and reputation to this place is shocking.

I would not recommend stay at this best western. they have to start fixing the place up . the light fixtures over the kitchen were dirty lense cover , the bath no slip mat was dirty . throw in the garbage ..there was a sign no smoking on the one door and the other door , I open into court yard and theres a chair and a ash tray...

« Family friendly vacation experience »

We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with kitchenette which had doors to parking lot and inner courtyard with pool and playground. Great value for a very family friendly facility, a short walk from the beach.

« Okay but not great »

The room layout was incredibly awkward and the bathroom was a bit cramped we could hear a bunch of noise from neighbouring guests, but other than that it was very clean and not bad for a single night stay. The bed was fairly comfortable and the amenities were standard. There were a decent amount of options for breakfast but the restaurant was a bit small and the food area was crowded as well was the dining area.

    « Amazing Hotel »

We stayed here for 3 nights and the breakfast was amazing, Rooms were so neat and clean. The hotel was clean, the pool and hot tub was amazing. The parking spot was very convenient and easy. Everything was amazing. This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. And definitely will return. And the hotel staff were amazing as well. Great service, very professional, Always smiling. Keep up the awesome work.

    « A comfortable short break venue »

The Best Western Inn at Penticton is of an older generation of motel style Inn but yet it retains a clean and friendly atmosphere that still works. The rooms are basic, not overly large, but certainly clean and the room staff work hard to keep them so. A well maintained Inn, perhaps showing its age a little but good value nevertheless. Breakfast is included and we learned quickly how to make our own waffles using the industrial sized machine - it was fun and with cereals, eggs, bacon or sausages, alongside pastries there was enough to set you up for the day. The Inn boasts a pool and rooms with kitchens for those that enjoy to self-cater. Our visit from the UK was to share my Aunt's 90th birthday and the Inn offered everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. A return visit will certainly see us returning to the Inn, as our base for exploring the fantastic scenery of the Okanagan Valley and of course the welcoming wineries.

« Average stay, nothing special »

We were a little disappointed with our stay - the room was small and rather cramped. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The price was reduced when we stayed, as the pool was out of commision, but at the normal price, it would have been overpriced for what we got. The breakfast was OK, but not many choices for healthy eating: too many sugary foods and bad coffee!

    4
« If given the need, we will certainly look at staying here again »

Older but well maintained property. Large room area with king size bed. Bathroom a little tight but doable. Mini ants were crawling around the tiled floor the 2nd morning we were there. Told front desk about it when checked out and they said they would get maintenance on it right away. Since its a desert area not surprising there are insects of some kind.

    « Wonderful Breakfast »

We stayed here for 5 nights in the Kitchen suite. Having the Kitchen was very convenient and well stocked so we were able to cook great dinners. The pool and hot tub was nice but unfortunately it was closed for 3 of our 5 nights stay but we understand that maintenance had to be done. The rooms were very dated but on par with the price point of the hotel. The landscape and BBQ area was very tranquil we were able to BBQ one of our meals there too. We really enjoyed the complementary breakfast it was always delicious and we looked forward to the vast variety of choices every morning the best complementary breakfast we have ever had! The staff was also very friendly. We appreciate the well wishes we received after our Father in law who was with us had a heart attack on our third night there and he spent the rest of our trip in the Penticton Hospital. It was a convenient location for us to make trips to the hospital and back.

« Good stay at the inn »

I was in Penticton for 4 nights for work reasons. I had stayed elsewhere in the city the previous two stays but found that hotel overpriced for what you got. Even with the restaurant that had just recently been renovated and re opened. The inn had great staff from checkin to checkout. The breakfast in the morning was very good with excellent selection. The hot tub worked great and was a nice way to warm up and to end the day. The room was bright and easy to work out of. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Only one issue was the television as i understand that they had just changed provider and the that part wasn't great. The building is not new by any means but the staff is working had to keep it nice. I would like to take my family there in the summer to stay as i think it's got a great location and lots to offer. Thank's for a great stay.

« WORST! Unexpected fees. Terrible Management. »

Booked for one rate got charged another. Had to contact the call Centre and speak with customer relations. They explained this particular charge is up to the manager. They contacted BW and managment told them nope the fee sticks. Even CR thought it was unfair and management was being unreasonable and ended up giving me BW credits to offset managements ridiculous fees. Would never recommend nor go back. Better to go to sandman or super 8.

    « Warm welcome »

It was an overnight stop, and everything went smoothly. I asked for an extra blanket and received it with no problem. Quiet and clean room. Breakfast was free, however, I noted the use of plastic utensils and paper plates. Ugh...what about the land fill folks? Please rethink that area. Otherwise good.

« Worst check out ever »

Rooms were great, check in was great except they forgot to charge me for my dog(s) which had been verified was $20 per night but regardless of 2 dogs. As I paid with a cash deposit, the front desk girl didnt even ask me how my stay was before making sure to tell me they forgot to charge me for my 2 dogs which would be $40. She would not budge, regardless of how I had been told it would only be $20 and that they forgot. I would have been happy to pay the $20 but she proceeded to make me feel like there was no way ANYONE would have told me this as it was NOT true (even though I had called in to book the week before and was told then aswell that it would be only $20 for the 2 dogs. My problem ended up being how I was treated by the check out girl Jamie. She does need some customer service and problem solving resolution training. She will definitely make you money while you have customers, but Im not sure she realizes that customers pay her wage and if they dont come, she will not be able to continue to treat people with disrespect. Plus, why would you charge $2o per dog per night? $20 per night to clean the room extra for one or 2 dogs is the same cleaning. I would revisit this charge altogether, Best western.

« One of best hotels in Okanagan »

My check in was best ever. I forget her name but she really cared about me and my check in! I was so impressed. Room is nice and clean and internet works much much better than last time here! TV is a great size for a hotel and clear picture. I like the artwork in here too. I just wanted to say if one single suggestion...the hot tub and pool area could use a bit of music playing in there, say classic rock, and as well it took a very long time to get any hot water in the shower in there. But overall an 8.5 out of 10! Thanks! (:

    « Great stay. »

From check in to check out we had no complaints. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient, the room was big, beautiful and very clean. Lots of pillows, comfy bed and plenty of toiletries in the bathroom. Bathroom was a bit on the small side, with 2 of us girls, but did the job. Breakfast was yummy and plentiful, but staff could have been more engaged and smiled once or twice. Over all, would stay again. Definitely an improvement over the last time we were here.

The breakfast selection was good, enough for all tastes. Staff were helpful.

« Lower end Best Western »

We booked our stay through hotel.com as the Best Western site said there was no available rooms. We were in Penticton for a family reunion over the Thanksgiving weekend and this was the hotel recommend and where all other family members stayed. When we booked I paid a premium price for a King size bed, upon checking in we received a Kitchenette suite with a double bed. When I called the reception desk, they told me this was the only suite available and to them it was an upgrade, therefore no refund. I guess the old bait and switch. The room and the rooms our family members stayed in were basic aged Best Western rooms. This building is probably 40-50 years old, I don't think any renovations have been done in the 10 - 15 years. It was clean, but not what I'm accustom too, I travel for work and stay in a lot of Best Westerns this is one of the worst.

    1
    « Bad Experience »

l Positives - The front desk staff had a great rapport with each other which was nice to see however the staff did not appear to have any authority for rectify problems and had to defer to the owners. Breakfast - good. False advertising regarding kitchenette. Rooms not restocked by cleaning staff and carpets dirty. Hide-a-bed unusable to the point of having to get another room. Overpriced and outdated. Would never stay there again or recommend to others. I have since discouraged a group of people going there for a reunion from staying there.

    « Our Summer Outing »

We always try to get away in the late summer ( September) for a few days and Penticton is a great place to go and an OK drive from the Island. Over the years we have stayed in Best Western Hotels in Canada the US and Europe. One reason is I generally know what I can expect in room quality as well as the other amenities. The location has a wonderful court yard are for a picnic or BBQ (supplied) and the breakfast is always a nice start to any day. Now as it was late summer I was surprised to see how full it was the first day or so which made use of the court yard some what resticted; cannot imagine . WE did find the room very small for a BW and the bed not very comfortable, not what I was expecting. Needless to say the hotel is nice, location great just a few short comings for my taste but then again I do expect a certain level from BW.

« A very nice hotel to stay with. »

This is a very nice hotel to stay over night or even for a few days. There are some nice restaurants in its neighborhood. It is not far away from a Lake with nice sand beach. Penticton is a very nice place to spend a vacation. I strongly recommend this hotel and this city.

    « First Visit »

    « Convenient location »

We were welcomed at check-in by two gracious ladies. We talked about the orchards that we passed along the way and they told us that the apples and pears are in season. They offered us fruit from the bowl on the desk. Yes, they were fresh alright! This Best Western is a motor inn. Parking was behind the building and our room was upstairs. There was a free breakfast but Interestingly, the grapes were not fresh at all. The stems were dried and the grapes were not plump. It was a disappointment since we were in Penticton for the farm fresh produce.

The breakfast was wonderful - something for everyone - and the breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to Skaha Lake and explore the beautiful park. Thank you, Best Western Penticton!

    « Hotel »

We found the level of service and care between our stay and our sister's stay at the same time to be very unequal. We booked through an agent and our sister booked directly. She received a room with a kitchen for $10 less per night and we received a basic room. When we booked for our daughter arriving the next night her room was $80 per night in excess of ours - seems a bit of a steep increase for nothing special. We will likely be booking rooms (6 at least) in the spring when we come for the memorial for our sister and would hope to receive a somewhat better deal than we received this past week.

This is our 2nd visit here and we stayed 4 nights. The entire staff are very friendly and efficient. Check-in was quick and we asked for a ground level room for close car access and entrance to their large courtyard/pool common area. There are BBQs for guest use there as well as patio tables and umbrellas. We chose to cook our own suppers and dine outside - very enjoyable. The room was clean comfortable and quiet. The breakfast area is the best one I have seen in this type of hotel. They had everything you could ask for and the staff were very helpful. The hotel location is easy to find and is on a main street with shopping 5 mins. away.

Excellent service upon our arrival and during the whole stay. Room was very large and updated. The bathroom was awesome with a walk in shower and a great show head. Location is very central and easy to get around from. We flew in, had a rental hotel very easy to find from the airport. Breakfast was excellent, complete hot or cold with many varieties to choose from each morning, we stayed for four days and were totally pleased with the variety. Housekeeping did a terrific job as well.

    « Incredible Breakfast Buffet »

It's got all the basics well-covered - comfortable rooms, clean bathrooms, lovely toiletries and great facilities but the star in its crown for me is the incredible breakfast. We spend lots of nights in hotels in Canada, the US and all over the world... and we know a good breakfast buffet when we see one. I always wish we could stay an extra night just to taste the things I couldn't eat the first day and I particularly appreciate the possibilities of gluten/dairy free foods.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. We had a two queen bed suite. Room was newly renovated and had everything. Breakfast was a complete breakfast with many choices to change it up daily. Nice to see fresh fruit. This hotel definitely is more then a two star. It doesn't have a restaurant however there are so many restaurants in the surrounding area. It's quiet, clean and pet friendly. We already booked to return in March.

« Everything is good except for the receptionists..... »

This is what we experienced in BW... We came here early to check in but no room available(understandable) so the receptionist gave us an access card to use the pool as we have 2 kids really looking forward to their pool (thank you)... Before my hubby go to Osoyoos for his tee time he asked the receptionist if there is room available and said no. He said "if the room is ready, can you just inform my family so that they can go to the room and relax". After an hour or so I checked again if there is any room as my kids are getting tired. So, I texted my sister-in-law to stop by and pick us up to go to the mall.. We stayed there until 5:30 and when we arrived we have the room... Then, my husband went to the reception to asked for a late check out and the receptionist told him "Absolutely not" in an irritable voice then he said that she started crying for unknown reason and give him ok until 12noon (thanks again).... So check out time came, the receptionist from the night shift didn't endorse to the next receptionist or the housekeeper that she gave us a LCO until 12noon so they came knocking on both doors telling us that the check out time is 11am. I said we are getting ready to leave. So we went to the lobby to check out and my hubby just brought his concern about what happened yesterday and the receptionist just lost it.... She is raised her voice to the extend that she will explode which is unbelievable.. As a former front liner I never ever in my career life raised my voice to my guest like that to the point that she thought she own us( just wow)....She told us to leave the premises again in an acceptable voice and manner.. I will never ever forget her face and her attitude that morning....Oh yeah, I wanted to thanked the guy who checked in us and to the breakfast lady who is accommodating and cheerful.

    « Will not stay here again...ever »

It started with a call to the motel to request for a ground floor room because my wife has bad knees and this place does not have a elevator. The morning front desk lady told me because I booked with air miles she couldn't help me. Because I have a hard time with that type of service I called back later and spoke to another lady. She told me that my reservation had been mysteriously cancelled and advised me to call Airmiles. After spending almost two hours waiting with Airmiles they said that my reservation was valid and call the motel back and sort out the problem with them which I did. I spoke to same lady who apologized for the mistake and promised me a room on the ground floor to compensate for her error. When I arrived and checked in we had been placed on the second floor. Whoops another screw up. Eventually we got a ground floor room which I was very thankful for. Then, I went to purchase a can of Coke to mix with some rum I had brought with me to calm my frazzled nerves. They have two machines. One was out of order and the other was locked up in a laundry room. Back to office I go to ask to have the door unlocked so I could get my can of Coke. The same lady I dealt with earlier told,me to walk down to the 7-11 which was several blocks away, which I did only because I need that drink, now more than ever. The next day we went on a wine tour. We returned about 6 pm. The room had not been cleaned. Whoops, they forgot our room. On the good side the building and rooms are very clean and the outside staff very friendly and they have two pools which is nice. So if you get past the incompetence of the folks that work the front desk you should enjoy your stay.

« Good service, clean and a good location »

This hotel is situated at the south end of Penticton, only a couple of blocks from the fabulous Skaha Lake beach and parks. It's an easy walk to the lake. However, it is on a main street that with a few minutes drive north, you have shopping and restaurants galore. Another few minutes further is the downtown area with lots of small shops and restaurants. It is probably a 10-15 minute drive from the hotel to the beaches on Lake Okanagan to the north. Very easy to get to the many wineries in the area from the hotel. The hotel is well kept - there is an outdoor pool and an indoor pool, BBQ area, gym, and even a few hammocks to relax in. The suite we were in was spacious, clean and very well equipped with a full kitchenette. The staff was very friendly and professional and the free breakfast was quite adequate. Overall, a very nice place to stay at a reasonable price.

    « good location »

Hotel was very clean, staff friendly, good selection for complimentary breakfasts. Visiting Penticton for Dragonboat Regatta. Hotel was within a good close walking location to Skaha Lake. Very central and easy access to many restaurants and pubs Easy to get from one end of town to the other. Staff were very friendly and helpful

    « Clean amd comfortable »

If you are looking for a clean, friendly, comfortable place to stay this is the one. Staff was wonderful to deal with. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. Beds were super comfy. We will definitely be back.

« Surprised by this great place »

I had no expectation but ended up being very happy about this hotel. This is a quiet and lovely place. There is BBQs, 2 pools and a hot tub. It is perfect for families, not so much if you want some action as it is a bit far from most restaurants and bars. The free breakfast was very good with a lot of choices. Overall I really enjoyed my stay. If you can get a room on the second floor so nobody walks on your head!

« Very good place to stay »

Check in was good despite the guest relation was not helpful but the other person was helpful & knew what I am talking about. Room was clean & bathroom was big. Lots of pillows so we were happy. There is an indoor & outdoor pool & hot tub so great variety & we did enjoy it. The hotel is well maintained & clean. The only negatives are when u sleep on the lower level, than u could hear every step of ur neighbor. My neighbor checked in at 11PM so he/she woke me up & took shower etc... so it was not fun but i slept after 10 or 15 min. The good advantage of this place is that u park in front of ur room but if u have thin doors than again my neighbor woke up at 5pm & when he turned his car, i woke up again. Breakfast was very nice & there was 2 servers on standby. variety was excellent (except the cinnamon roll). one disadvantage is that food display area is very small. I tried booking another night but price jumped $100 so it was not worth paying $100 & waking up in the middle of the night. Still I recommend this hotel as it has good stuff & i got a deal on 1st night. Also the garden during summer is very nice & they have bbq area.

    « Perfect for families! »

This was such a sweet, almost motel style place! The staff is super friendly, but so are the people staying here...no sulky teens, no overindulged youngsters, just friendly, kind people enjoying family time...I felt so at home here with my elderly mother. We enjoyed abundant fresh fruit each morning at the breakfast buffet, and the indoor pool and spa each evening. A little farther from the downtown area (plan on doing some driving to higher end food and other activities) but I could not be more pleased with the overall value of this hotel.

    5
    « What a great place! »

While this is not a 5 star venue, it was absolutely perfect for our needs! There was a congregation of family for a wedding and we were all thrilled with the setting of this hotel for our "time off" moments. The courtyard with all of the patio settings, barbeques and pool were so perfect to gather together and enjoy each others company. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very accommodating! Will definitely return as it was so much better than a regular hotel...was more like being at home with the courtyard allowing us to get out of our rooms without leaving the premises!

« Great place to stay »

Two couples were on a wine tasting weekend and we stayed at this hotel. It is situated very conveniently to everything. You are a few minutes drive to downtown and the wineries. The rooms overlook a green space which includes a playground, barbecues, outdoor pool area, hammocks, some games. There is also an indoor pool with a hot tub. Breakfast was included which was very good. Make your own waffle machine, scrambled eggs, ham , fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal. We would most definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Highly recommed »

Stayed in a room with one king size bed. Features in the room were older looking but everything was clean. Huge bathtub and awesome balcony. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choices. Lots of great extras here with the indoor and outdoor pool, fitness centre, Bbqs for the guests and hammocks. Would love to stay again for a few days!

    « Birthday Party »

The hotel was good. The worst experience was Rob at the front desk. The other receptionists were great. I sympathize with them to have to watch his interactions with guests. If the wet spots on the carpet were from a pet, we should have not been allowed to stay in that room. We didn't realize the carpet was wet until we had unpacked and my wife stepped on the spots without shoes on. The staff said the scrubbed it, then placed a pool towel over the area.

    5
    « Beautiful stop over »

Easy check in, friendly staff & clean room. What more can you ask for? Pet friendly and easy to locate. Loved the courtyard to sit & enjoy coffee in the morning. Would definitely return for another stay!!

    « Great get away »

We were very nicely surprised with the Best western in Penticton. The staff were all very friendly and asked us to please call if we need anything. The breakfast included was very good, large selection for everyone. This is very central close to Skaha Lake and a short drive to Okanagan. This would be an ideal place for families. Definitely go back next time.

    5
« Great hotel, but no handicap provisions »

Having to travel to Walmart every time I had to use the washroom was a real problem. I was told there were no handicap facilities on site, which we later discovered to be untrue - there was a handicap stall in the washroom adjoining the exercise room. Other than that, the hotel is fantastic for family functions. The courtyard has barbecues, picnic tables, a pool, playground equipment, both an outdoor and indoor pool. Overall, my inconvenience having to travel 2 blocks to go potty was overshadowed by the great family get together at this location.

    2
    « Needs updating »

Beds are like lying on a roller coaster, Motels style small rooms best to plan not being in room for stay. Should have a breakfast menu similar to other good quality hotels for the price they charge to stay in the summer. Motel needs major updating...tired

    5
    « Wish I brought the kids! »

I'm not saying that the rooms are perfect, however the facilities are the best I've seen. Outside your room you will find a very comfortable patio set (reserve a bottom floor unit if you can), pool (complete with a bunch of sun chairs), barbecues (with undercover area), swings and slides for the kids. They even went to the trouble of setting up a projector for the all the kids to watch a movie outside. With or without the kids this is the place to stay. If you bring them, I'm confident that you will be able to relax while they play. The breakfast was also really good but I've come to expect that from any Best Western I've stayed at. Enjoy!! I did!!

    « Skaha »

Stayed 1 night (11 Aug) as a pit stop from Shuswap Lake to Vancouver, Osoyoos was completely booked. Check in was a breeze and attentive staff. Cleaning staff polite and courteous when leaving. Great facility situated very close to Shaka Lake, beach area and easy route back to Hwy 97 S. Good size room, clean and 2 comfortable queen bed with small fridge. 2nd floor with view to inside courtyard. Outdoor pool in the courtyard / picnic area with with propane and briquette BBQ close by. Very busy and family oriented. Gym with indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Standard breakfast incl, best part are the fresh Okanagan fruits. Try the Chinese Penticton Buffet, very good, walking distance to the Inn. About 800 m walk to the beach. Thank you for an awesome stay.

« Gone to the dogs..... »

We stayed (7th )year in a row in August 2016 with other family and friends. We found the rooms, BBQ area and pool were well taken care of however check in staff and other assistance was terrible. We understand there is new ownership as well as new front desk staff. We often BBQ and were taken aback to find dogs sitting and barking in this area where food is being prepared. We went to the front desk to see if they could do something about this and their reply was "Did the dog bite you?". If you do not like dogs you should not stay here! We later found out it was not a registered guest's dog but their guest who came for a visit. Not sure what has changed but we will now be staying elsewhere along with other family and friends. Perhaps this should become a Pet only establishment as we felt our needs were secondary to the dogs! Beware if you are allergic!

    « Road Trip 2016 »

Room was very clean, decorated nicely. King size bed was very comfortable along with the six pillows. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The full breakfast in the morning was excellent. Many choices for all. I would recommend this hotel.

    « A Definite Return! »

We had a comfortable night sleep! That is of great importance to me. The hotel room was clean, updated, great A/C! The hotel grounds were well kept, providing 2 pools, 1 indoors and the other outdoors, playground and BBQ areas. Breakfast was wonderful, providing a full variety of options, from fresh waffles, to various types of eggs, sausage, fresh fruits, cereals, bakery as well as juices and coffee. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great place!

    « Bad manners »

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and we enjoyed the set up. The rooms have a sitting area and if you're on the main level you have patio sets. It was great for the 6 of us to gather and enjoy the common area. There's a great big BBQ if you wish to use. Breakfast was self serve and it was actually not bad at all. The TV system really needs an upgrade. My only issue there was the service we received at check in. We had booked our rooms over 2 months in advance. When we checked in we realized we were not all together and when we asked if there was any chance we could have the 3 rooms closer to one another they just pretty much brush us off. They didn't really try to help us out, we got the eye roll and the hand brush, bad manners. That was a downer but we still made it enjoyable.

« Good hotel in Penticton »

We stayed in this hotel for 2 days in August for soccer tournament. We booked a suite with kitchen. The room was nice and clean with comfy bed. Although washroom was bit outdated, but it was workable. We liked the kitchen area with a nice dining corner with large size windows. The sofa bed in living area was bit unconformable. There is very nice courtyard with BBQ area and swimming pool in the middle etc. So overall I would say its a good hotel in Penticton (where most of the hotels are below average). The staff at reception was very helpful and polite.

    « Quick Trip »

Not a bad room, old building and out dated but comfortable and clean. Very nice courtyard, play area for children with good size pool. Very polite staff. Everything is pretty easy to find in Penticton. Great place to visit.

    « Friendliest staff ever!! »

very nice stay as far as amenities , but the staff put this hotel over the top. All staff are so nice and friendly . The indoor and outdoor pools are fun for the whole family and the outdoor movie is an excellent touch .We will definitely be going back to stay there again.

    « Absolutely beautiful place »

Always a friendly and inviting location. Great rooms , wonderful courtyard , great breakfast , more than accommodating Under new ownership and Kelly Parasuik promoted to General Manager !! Great move. I've been coming for over ten years. My favourite all time hotel in Canada.

    « Excellent Facility »

We were in Pentiction with friends attending a Square Dance Festival. We had a wonderful time. We loved staying at this Best Western. We were well cared for in a very relaxing environment. We will definitely be staying here again.

    4
« Awesome for families! Great value, needs some updating »

This hotel is very clean and the rooms have a kitchenette, two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is a bit on the older side, but there is nothing to complain about, especially if you need room for your family. There are 2 pools at this hotel and a really nice space to play, with a playground and picnic tables. Highly recommend for families, would stay here again.

    5
« Close to the beach »

Great and helpful staff. Perfect get away and a few minutes walk from the beach. Close to walmart, helpful if you forgot anything. Pool was excellent and well cared for. Rooms nice and clean. Would stay there again.

    5
    « Summer Fun »

What a fun city this is in the summer! We've been skiing here in the winter many years ago but never in the summer. So much to do between the vineyards and the lazy canal river to float down and the two lakes, you'll never run out of stuff to do and see. The hotel has BBQ's, indoor and outdoor pools, a play ground for the kids and lots of green grass and picnic tables to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner! We'd love to come back and spend a few more days!

    5
    « Great Hotel - Motel »

we had a great stay here! The staff were all very friendly, there was a huge continental breakfast, and our hotel room was clean and fresh. The only surprise was that the hotel is motel style (drive up to your door), location was a bit lacking for the view factor, but it was only a few minutes walk to the Skaha Lake beach.

    4
« A place to keep coming back to! »

We've been coming back here for years, and have never been disappointed. The facilities are well maintained and clean. The staff are courteous and efficient. There are a number of small things, that separate this hotel from others in the area. There are two great pools (one indoor and one outdoor) and a hot tub. In the summer, there is an outdoor movie for the kids, which allows the adults to sit and have a glass of wine. The free breakfast is good, there is a workout room on site, and there is decent wi-fi.

    5
« You should try the Best Western in Penticton »

Great breakfast, friendly service, and a nice place to stay! Only negatives: the pool was closed for the whole week due to maintenance issues and there was a bad smell coming from the kitchen sink when you run the hot water. Otherwise, we loved our stay at the hotel!

  • 4
« Small rooms but very clean, great breakfast »

Perhaps a slightly older property and rooms a bit on the small side. Also could use a bit of soundproofing (easily hear footsteps in the room above and guests coughing). Room was beautifully clean and breakfast delicious including fresh local fruit in season (blueberries, cherries, apricots, peaches). Well located property close to popular Skaha Lake.

    4
    « Wonderful staff »

We had a lovely stay at the Best Western. The staff were cheerful and always greeted us. The breakfast was amazing, fresh local cherries as well as blueberries and watermelon. We didn't use the pool but it certainly seemed popular. We'll stay here again!

    4
« Will come here again, had a good stay »

We stayed here for a few nights, hotel was clean and the facilities well managed and kept. Pools are nice and the location to the beach is good. There's a playground area for kids as well and a nice courtyard.

    4
    « clean & quiet »

good: clean room, lots of comfy pillows, crisp bed linens, many towels, large flatscreen TV, spotless microwave + fridge, friendly staff, hard cooked eggs & fresh fruit at breakfast; indoor + outdoor pools not so good: few power outlets for recharging phone & iPad, somewhat complicated & counterintuitive AC control

    3
« close your windows if you don't like cigarette smell »

Well, if u are on the ground floor, the people who walk upstairs will wake u up, and if u are on the top floor, the smell of ciggies will waft into your unit much easier from the yard, since they have ashtrays dispersed everywhere. their breakfast is pretty good since they had fruits and i am a fruit eater, the only thing i recommend for them is not to use paperplates, plastic cutlery and such that just goes to the landfill, i found that odd. also i would not use such heavy blankets that just make u sweat not to mention the big pillows in their rooms that give one a neckache, i appreciate the fridge though and their toilettries.

    5
« Great Place to Stay »

The design of the place is refreshing and has courtyard, BBQ area, 2 swimming pools(in/out), good landscaping and facilities for children. The room was spacious, clean and well heated and A/C'd. The breakfast buffet was the best I have experienced in the last 10 places I have stayed.

    5
    « Penticton Vacation »

We had a great stay with our family! We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool, the BBQ and playground, and of course the great breakfast each morning. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, we will be sure to come back next year!

    « A little Vacay to relax »

The Penticton BW creates a nice atmosphere that made me feel like I was really getting away somewhere nice. Everything was clean . The Breakfast was more than I expected with freshly cooked scrambled eggs and ham. I liked that there were fresh cherries , a local treat! Front desk staff was super friendly too!

    4
    « Great breakfast »

Great breakfast but no bacon! The beds were somewhat comfortable and the air conditioning was working nicely. The doors squeaked and it is basically an upgraded motel but the pool was nice and the hot tub bubbles were super strong. I would stay there again as they also have a rewards program.

    4
    « Great Waffles! »

The Hotel is easy to find, close to downtown - the rooms were clean and they have a great pool for that HOT weather. The waffles are light and fluffy! There was also fresh fruit - good breakfast which is included in the price of the room.

    « Great stay »

We were on a motorcycle tour of the Okanagan and booked in here. Room was clean, shower was great with good water pressure, huge TV, fast wi-fi and comfortable beds. We were given priority parking around the back so the bikes were away from prying eyes. In the morning, the breakfast was awesome - not only hot waffles but very good scrambled eggs with ham. A bonus was the fresh Okanagan cherries laid out. Yum. The staff was very efficient and all were extremely friendly.

« Lacrosse Sports Team - Tournament Weekend »

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this hotel was to stay at with our team. The suites upstairs were perfect with the kitchens to keep snacks, food and beverages chilled. The play area for the boys (12&13) was awesome, gave them the room and space they needed so that they were not running around halls and bothering other guests. Outdoor and indoor pool was great and the breakfast buffet was awesome The best part about this hotel was the owner. He was friendly, helpful, spent time hanging out with the parents in the evening and even bought a bunch of pizza for our team during our Saturday night potluck. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for any sports team to stay at while in any tournament. It may not be brand new but it beat any top notch hotel I ha e stayed in before. Thank you to all the staff.. And I mean ALL the staff!!! Everyone was friendly, kind, and helpful and that is so appreciated!

    5
    « great stay »

Great stay! staff was wonderful, room was excellent, breakfast was awesome, pool area was excellent. Needed some maintenance on the elliptical trainer and walk-through to breakfast area is through the exercise area - it would have been nice to have more privacy. But overall a fantastic experience!

« Okanagan wine trip base motel »

We have stayed here for the last 6 years for 4 nights each stay as a base for our Okanagan wine trip. it is centrally located and an excellent motel with all the amenities we require. the rooms are clean, and the beds comfy. the staff efficient and courteous, the breakfast is comprehensive and tasty. The manager, Kelly, runs a tight ship, and is very helpful. we will be back next year.

    5
« Great value for your dollar. »

This hotel is under new ownership and it shows. The staff are very friendly and makes your stay very enjoyable. We have been to a lot of BW breakfasts and this is one of the best. The setup of the hotel with an inner courtyard, 2 pools, Hot Tub and BBQ pits makes it a great place to stay.

    « In town for a wedding »

I was disappointed to find that this "hotel" is much more like a motel. It has been updated but I found our room 106, to be dark and kind of claustrophobic. The price we paid led me to believe I was getting a larger suite. Instead it felt like a very tiny two-bedroom apartment. I had to leave a note to ask that our carpets be vacuumed on our second day? I do want to add that all of the staff was pleasant and friendly, specially the lady who worked at the breakfast room. The whole hotel seems chopped up and awkward. A workout room plunked right near the reception and right where people walk upstairs to get breakfast? Odd. We would not return. I know they are trying but they just aren't hitting the mark. Penticton needs a nice hotel!

    5
    « Awesome Accomodation »

This Hotel was on beautiful grounds, had an awesome indoor and outdoor pool. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was great. We really enjoyed our stay. Management were super friendly and helpful. Thank you Best Western Penticton :-)

    « Cozy hotel »

A very nice hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable. Nicely laid out, with 2 pools and a workout room. The free breakfast in the morning was presented well and very tasty. Found the people working there friendly and nice. My only complaint is that we were travelling in a party of 3. Had planned to split the bill 3 ways when checking out but they had all ready processed the bill on the one credit card. Were told that it would be difficult to get a refund and start again, as the manager was in a meeting. Felt that they could have waited to see how we wanted to pay. So make sure you are clear on payment. Other than that i would recommend this hotel.

« nice place to stay »

beautiful resort-like grounds, very nice indoor and outdoor pools, very clean rooms, excellent wifi, quality beds and amenities, above average breakfast and breakfast room, very good value, one of my top best western stays

    « Road trip »

The Staff was wonderful. Did not expect the motel experience. Park and pack... Outdoor entrance.. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean though a bit dated. The Couch sucked. The hotel is at the south end of town near lake Skaha and its park. Most of the restaurants and happenings were at the other end of town. It is a bit far from the hotel unless you want to drive...

Stayed in this hotel May 23 to 26. The hotel grounds were really well kept, all the staff very friendly. Kelly at the front desk very upbeat and always a nice smile. Tammy also a bundle of information and informative. The breakfast staff very efficient. House keeping also friendly and doing a great job. This hotel has quality staff

« New ownership knows how to do it with a touch of class »

As we sit at the patio table by the pool outside our room, Mr. Scott Nelson , the new owner, arrives with an ice bucket with 2 bottles of Blue Mountain Vineyard 2013 Pilot Gris thanking us for staying at the Best Western. He apologized for the state of his appearance, but we had been seeing him throughout the day doing manual labour cleaning the exterior premises so it was quite understandable. We have stayed here many times over the years and always enjoyed our time here. Kelly at the front desk has been and continues to be one of the most outgoing, obliging and helpful assets of this property. Gifted with an amazing sense of humour, this lady knows her stuff. With a new owner like Scott, whose hands on approach makes you feel like a special client and Kelly welcoming you like an old friend, I have to say, the Best Western Penticton will always be our place to stay when we are in town. Thanks. See you again soon!

    4
    « Good older hotel »

This hotel is nothing to write home about. It is an older motel style place with pull up parking to your rooms. Enter on the parking side or on the side of the courtyard where the outdoor pool is located. Older rooms need some renovating with stucco walls and ceilings and small windows. There is a lack of electrical / USB outlets for the business traveller. Now for the good stuff: the place is clean, the beds are comfortable and the water pressure for the showers is good. My room had a fridge and a microwave a definite plus. Hot breakfast is included in the price and they also have an indoor pool and a fitness centre. So all in all a well kept older place that was good to stay at.

    3
    « Nothing great »

The rooms were alright but nothing to write home to. The soundproofing was poor especially for a hotel chain like this. Could hear people beside us and kids running above... The breakfast is typical North American, liquid eggs from a carton, enriched white bleached flour bread and coffee that is weak. During breakfast at 9:56am we were kicked off the patio since it was closed. No apology just "patios closed". Not sure why it has to close. .. safety reasons??? No...

    « Over night stay »

Older motel near the Centre of Penticton. I walked in and was told there were only expensive rooms left. I then said I could book through TripAdvisor and was given a room on the second floor. Access to the room required that we walk past garbage in the walkway. The window only looked out to the hallway. The room was fine, spacious and the bed comfortable. Nice table and chairs to work at. The room was clean and comfortable overall. I would stay there again but not in that location in the motel.

    « What a surprise. »

A lovely well kept and well appointed place to stay. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room had absolutely everything a traveler would need. Extra towels, soaps and shampoos even a Kurig coffee maker that was much appreciated. And above all else the king sized bed was very comfortable, and The room very clean/ The grounds and pool lovely and on the whole we found a very restful place to stay and will be happy to stay again

    5
    « Very nice »

The staff were friendly and accommodating . The rooms were very nice. And the breakfast room was great too. I love staying at best westerns for their consistent quality service. Their free breakfasts are best. Their wifi kept cutting off. But wasn't a concern for me at this time.

    « Romantic stay!!! »

Very nice old hotel. It was very nice to stay here. The hotel is very well care and the swimming pool is big and well maintained. There is an outside pool as well. The hotel is overall quiet. And very pleasant to stay. We enjoy so much here. The staff are great and helpful. The only thing that you need to choose your room carefully cause it can get noisy. Other than that the hotel is great

    4
    « Pretty good »

Lots of parking! No stress. Large TV and VERY comfortable beds and pillows. The room looked like it had been recently updated and it was very clean. The AC also worked like a charm. It has a very nice courtyard-type area in the centre with an outdoor pool, play area for children, and lots of seating. The only downside was it could be quite loud in the evenings. Lots of people talking and walking by the windows. Didn't bug us much as we are sound sleepers though.

    3
    « Clean but ! »

Overpowering smell of cleaning product in the small room, took a long time to air out. Strong enough to make your eyes water. As mentioned the room was smaller than the accomodations I normally stay at. The hotel was full so there were no other available rooms.

    « Cosy & good... »

Needed to be in Penticton for a family matter. Last minute plans. BW was very accommodating, easy to book & comfortable stay. Liked the included breakfast buffet. Altho'did not use BBQ or outdoor faciliries was impressed that it was family friendly.

« A fabulous place to stay for any occasion! »

We spent a week in this hotel and had a very good experience. This is an older hotel that is updated and very well maintained. The grounds are beautifully kept, and there's a lovely outdoor and indoor pool and hot tub. There's a barbecue area and picnic tables so u can relax and enjoy the outdoors right at your hotel. It's a short walk to the beach. The staff are very friendly- especially Kat who greets everyone in such a warm friendly fashion everyone morning at breakfast! The room cleaning service is prompt and very efficient! The rooms always smell fresh and clean! We were travelling with our standard poodle and felt very welcome- they gave us a nice clean room and made her feel extremely welcome. This is not always the case when travelling with pets. Minor criticism- when I arrived I couldn't check in because the reservation was under my husbands name. I was hot and tired and was a little annoyed because I had to wait fairly long until I could get in touch with my husband ( he was arriving later). The breakfast area is upstairs so if you're handicapped or have other difficulties with stairs this might be an issue- although the staff are always eager to help out. The gym is small but well ventilated and clean. We will most definitely return to this hotel. Fabulous place!!

Clean rooms, maybe a bit dated but ok, kitchen area with fridge microwave stove dishes etc, lots of parking, comfortable beds, hot breakfast but very limited selection, good if you don't want a large breakfast, wifi kept cutting out, nice pool and lounge area, staff seem friendly, would stay again

« Quite place to stay »

A mixed review of the Best Western Inn. Our check in took almost 20 minutes. The computer was down and there were several people trying to check in. We were second in line. The person on the desk did her best to get things fixed but it still made it a long hot check in especially after a long drive. Our room was at the back of the hotel which was great since it was very quiet. The bed and pillows were OK. The bathroom was cramped. You could not use the toilet without closing the door. We had a hard time getting both of us in the bathroom comfortably while trying to get ready in the morning. The breakfast bar was fabulous. There were lots of variety beyond the usual fare. I noticed the staff made a real effort to accommodate guest requests regarding breakfast. It was nice having an outdoor and indoor pool. Check out was easy and quick. We would stay here again if we come back to Penticton.

    « Early Cherry Blossoms »

The cherry trees in the Okanagan valley were doing their final check-up before they were about to reveal themselves to the world. Our trip was before those blossoms even though, we, ourselves, are far beyond being called 'blossoms'. The room and atmosphere of the hotel, along with its proximity to the main shopping areas and easy access to either of the two lakes surrounding Penticton, made for a pleasant trip for an elderly [ but not in mind ] couple.

    « Clean and friendly »

I had a great visit here. The staff was friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean, and the grounds are pretty. There is even a cute little duck family that lives there. I also spoke with a staff member who said it has recently come under new management and the new owners are doing some upgrades and refreshing the grounds. It's not a swanky hotel but it has everything you need, and the breakfast has healthy and gluten free options. If you want a clean, quiet place to stay, I recommend this place.

« Excellent stay here for three nights. »

The building is an older two-storey hotel that has been upgraded. Our room was large with two queen beds and a seating area, two TVs and plenty of storage places. No elevator, access by stairs, one from the back parking area, the other from the grass courtyard and outdoor pool. The breakfast room offered a wide range of both hot and cold meals. The room rate was very reasonable, but this was still the low season. Would be an ideal hotel for families, with the outside pool, courtyard, picnic tables, BBQs and a small play area.

    « Excellent accommodation »

We stayed here for 1 night while attending a friend's 80th birthday celebration. Everything was up to the usual Best Western standards. The room was very large, the beds were comfortable, the wifi was excellent and the breakfast was fabulous. The best thing is that we had accumulated enough points to get this room free!!

« Great place but can't use BW points to pay for room. »

You can collect Best Western points but, You are not given the option to use Best Western points to pay for the room. The service as great the rooms were very clean, staff always had a smile on their face.

« Great room Better Breakfast »

Our stay here was excellent, Comfortable, friendly and the best choice of hot and cold breakfast items. Kat our breakfast room hostess was especially helpful and full of local expertise and helpful hints. We liked it so much here we bought a house and moved here.

« NICE QUIET, GREAT FOR FAMILIES »

Quiet park like setting, good amenities and great breakfast; a nice relaxing visit. The rooms are very clean and the grounds with pool are nice with huge trees. Breakfast had something for every palate.

« Great place, Great staff, Great breakfast »

This place was quiet, clean and overall an excellent place to stay. The breakfast is one of the best we have had at a hotel. The only downfall was that their internet was very "touchy" sometimes worked sometimes not. Get little playground if you have children.

    4
    « Pretty decent place »

Stayed here only 1 night but it was clean and comfortable, maybe a tad bit dated but still pretty good. There was a bit of noise early in the mornings outside the room as the cars are pretty close to the main floor rooms but otherwise we were happy with it. Would stay again.

    « 2016 Holiness Convention »

Excellent experience...all the best. We will continue to promote the Penticton Best Western. What can we say about the complimentary breakfast? It is one of the best that we have attended in our long experience of using hotels over the years.

    « Lovely Surprise! »

This is an older motel taken over by Best Western. The rooms have all been redone, are very comfortable and well equipped with a small kitchen area including fridge, stove, microwave, coffee machine and all the dishes, pots, cutlery and linens you may need. A very good breakfast is included with a nice choice of hot and cold foods. There are two stories with outside access to all rooms. The only negative was that check in and check out was very slow, the slowest I've ever experienced anywhere, so be patient. Also, the wifi connection wasn't working the first day we stayed there.

yes the hotel may seem a bit dated, but it was CLEAN and the staff were superb.excellent value for the money. don't miss the breakfast. tons of awesome food.we went to see the Price is Right show and the staff were all personable about our experience.

« Oasis and Very Good Breakfast »

Located at South end of Penticton. Quiet location. Exterior appears old from the street. Very nice and large interior lawn, pool, BBQ and play area with rooms arranged around it. Could spend a week here. Breakfast was outstanding.

    « Impressed »

We were very impressed with the service. Friendly and easy check in. The continental breakfast was one of the best we have ever had. More like a full breakfast than continental. The indoor Pool a bit chilly but clean. Rooms were clean and spacious. Special thanks to the amazing breakfast server that in spite of having no voice always asked how our day was and made suggestions of things to do. She was a pleasant start to our day for sure. The room was quiet even though there was some maintenance being done. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. We even had some visiting wildlife. Thinking they were waiting for the outdoor pool to open.

    « Good »

Have always enjoyed staying at this hotel and the breakfast is really good. The Hot Tub is nice although it would be nice if it were connected to the hotel. Checkin and checkout staff are friendly. The room was comfortable and having a door to the courtyard was nice.

    « Our stay »

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff at check in and out. The beds were great and the amenities were good. The morning breakfast was very good with many choices to choose from. We had a pet along with us and he was welcomed by all the staff with open arms.

    « Don't Like Cold Showers »

Facilities are looking and feeling tired. All the locals seem to cut through the property when going for walks, and they don't seem to know how to do that quietly. No hot water available for my shower on the last day - no matter how long I let the water run.

    4
« Always a pleasant stay at this property »

We have stayed here several times and have found the same consistent service and amenities. All rooms open to a large grassy park area. (With nice out door pool in the summer) As well has a great indoor pool & hot tub atrium. The morning breakfast is a pleasant experience in a second floor sun room with optional outdoor seating. For a nice walk, the hotel is two blocks to the beach.

    5
    « springbreak with Grandkids »

excellent in that the grandkids had a pool available and close to shopping and relatives which we were visiting, we always enjoyed the Penticton location due to the central location of attractions, such as Tickleberries Summerland Sweets and Kettle Valley Railroad.

« Excellent experience at Penticton Best Western »

Very comfortable suite--the Governors. Lovely, bright and nicely decorated. Everything you need in the suite for a great stay away from home. Bed exceptionally comfortable which is a top priority for us. The suite was very clean. Missing in no comfort. The bathroom and vanity area décor is a bit aged but in great shape and not a problem at all.

    5
« Great stay with a very good FREE breakfast »

We stayed in a 2 queen bed room. Microwave, bar fridge and Kuerig coffee maker. The indoor pool here is a favourite of ours. The hot tub is large enough for several guests. The hotel staff are excellent and have been here for years. It's nice to see the same friendly people visit after visit. The mattresses are a dream to sleep on, and there's lots to do close by. I will be back here again to stay in the future. Almost forgot but they have a playground for the kids to use.

    « Nice motel »

Nice motel, very friendly staff. The rooms and the bathroom were proper. Rooms were a little bit cold at arrival. A TV is available in the living room and the bedroom. A small kitchen is also part of the room. The breakfast is included in the price.

    « Friendly staff »

All was good but place seems outdated. We enjoyed the king size bed as requested, however the bed was too firm for me. Staff was friendly and helpful. Nice size kitchen suite with back door opening into courtyard. Very functional and relaxing space.

    « Great hotel in Penticton, B.C. »

This hotel is very convenient to the Penticton airport. Always stay here when taking an early morning flight from Penticton. Front desk staff are friendly and efficient. Hotel rooms are clean and minimal traffic noise. This is a busy hotel year round and while I often arrive without a reservation, I would recommend reserving ahead.

    4
« Clean well appointed room, friendly helpful staff »

We pulled in to this hotel with no reservation, on a busy Saturday in early March (apparently there were two hockey tournaments and a Megadeth concert going on - who knew?). The friendly woman at the registration desk initially thought they had no room for us, but was soon able to identify two possibilities: a room at the back, or a corner suite. We opted for the suite, which she offered to us at a seniors discount -- our first ever, since Mr. just turned 55. If you stay here, definitely pay the extra bit for the Governor's Suite. It's a bright room with wrap-around windows, with a deluxe king sized bed with great linens in a separate bedroom. There's a well appointed kitchen (though no kettle, which I hate), and a front room with a pull-out bed. Two full-size TVs, functional coffee table, full bath, everything super clean and well maintained. We could have happily stayed there all week. The complimentary breakfast is top quality for this kind of meal at this kind of property - full selection of cereals (hot and cold) and breads to toast, make-your-own waffles plus omelet and sausages. The attentive breakfast staff will check you in by room number and make sure you have everything you need. Kudos to the Best Western staff for maintaining this property so nicely, and providing top-notch service. We'll definitely be back.

    « Good Value Hotel »

This hotel is very pleasant and clean. The breakfast is quite nice with a couple of hot dishes as well as the usual waffles, bagels, cereal etc. The pool is a nice temperature along with the room it is housed. We have come back to this location a number of times as it never disappoints.

« Good value in Penticton »

I stayed here for the first time for two nights and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean, pretty well furnished, and I always like having a fridge and microwave in my room as well. The bathroom seemed to have been newly renovated, they had a better than average gym, the only comment I would make is that the complimentary breakfast is mediocre at best. Overall, I would recommend them as a good option in Penticton, and plan on staying here again.

    3
    « Motel style/not hotel »

This hotel is dated. The room was clean, breakfast was fair, indoor pool was nice but needed cleaning and was located far across the property from our room and we had to walk in the cold outside to access. Just expected a hotel - should have researched better before booking - my fault!! Price was high compared to other hotels in the area.....

« Great Hotel, Be Careful of Your Belongings »

Check- In Receptionist gave us keys and directions to the wrong room. An occuptied room! Thankfully the guests were not in there! But can you imagine? What if? What if they were in there and yelled at us etc. What if they were not fully clothed- it was Valentine's weekend!? What if we scared them and they attacked us? I know these are extremes but something like that shouldn't be taken lightly. No apology, no reason to try and smooth things over, just told oh your actual room is 10 doors down. Other than the bad staff at check in the room was fine, pretty clean. The vending machine with snacks didn't work, should have a sign on it. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. Sausage, eggs, juice, cereal, milk, baked items, fruit bowl, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. Paper plates and plastic cutlery. Might stay again however we were kind of skeptical due to our check in so we always took our belongings to our vehicle when we left incase the same mistake was made and random people were let into our room and who knows what they could take or do to the room that we were be held accountable for.

« Good quality for price »

Best western was just what our family needed for our weekend getaway. The pool and hot tub were lovely after a day of skiing. The continental breakfast was very nice, perfect for hungry teens! The location was very nice, near some restaurants and close to downtown Penticton. We would recommend this hotel to others coming to the area.

    « Great Experience »

Great overall experience. The room was well maintained. Internet was easy to use. Our room was close to the pool which was nice in Jan. The hot breakfast was well thought out with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, ole a variety of cold selections.

« Bed Lights don't work, No HD Channels on TV, Slow WiFi, Bed is like sleeping on springs. »

Well my bedside lights & the outlets don't work and I'm not going to crawl or go on the floor and look to see if it's plugged in behind the bed. The room is average. I'm here on business, I do reports online for work and require a decent internet connection here I barely get faster than dialup speeds, and the room has a nice big Samsung HD TV but no HD channels, even the local channels are in SD. (Cheapskate owners). I will never stay here again, I've stayed at other Best Western's that were nicer than this place, this has to be one of the worst Best Western hotels. Then the Bed is like sleeping on a bunch of springs. I'm here for 2 nights, but tomorrow I'll be switching to the Ramada.

« Just a great place to stay! »

This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Western in Penticton and I have not been disappointed. The room is very clean and comfortable, with adjustable heat, while the breakfast service is awesome with nutritious items that would suit different palates: yogurt, cereals, whole wheat bread and French toast, bagels, fresh fruit, cream cheese, hot meat and scrambled eggs along with pancake batter. Milk and juices are available too!

    « Excellent accomodation »

Very nice hotel, super clean, excellent breakfast, caring staff. Parking was good especially for full size trucks. Park like setting in courtyard. Location was within a few kms. of downtown area but plenty of shops close by.

« Clean, Quiet, Good Breakfast »

The room was very clean but small but that wasn't a problem as I was simply looking for a place to rest my head. I enjoyed being provided with a variety of pillow sizes so I wasn't stuck with an over stuffed neck breaker. The breakfast buffet was above what I usually find in a hotel in this price range. I was disappointed when I asked upon checkout if I could leave my bag behind for a couple hours and was simply told to leave it in a corner of the foyer. I wouldn't have been a problem for them to place it in their office or behind the desk.

    « average »

Rooms are clean and fresh with TV and garden view. Breakfast set up is challenging and disorganized especially for older people-stairs are too steep. Front desk lady could be more friendly. There is outdoor and indoor swimming pool and outdoor BBQ area. Close to beach on Skaha Lake.

    « Excellent Experience »

Always a pleasure to stay at Best Western and this time was no exception. The staff a check-in couldn't have been more courteous and helpful. The room was large and well-appointed. We had a great breakfast the next morning before heading on our way.

« Two night stay during Okanagan valley visit. »

The hotel is an average Best Western. The rooms surround a spacious courtyard. We were on the second floor, a bit awkward for heavy suitcases. There was a problem during our check in, but is was soon solved. The hotel is well located for exploring the City of Pentiction, the surrounding wine country, nature reserves and mountains. I appreciated the hot tub, after a day of outdoor activities. The hotel allowed children to watch outdoor movies in the courtyard, with the sound turned way up. The breakfast was excellent, with a good range of quality foods.

    « Okay for a 1-night stay »

As a family of 4 with two kids under 6, we chose this hotel mainly for the heated indoor pool, other free amenities (parking, WiFi, breakfast) and that we were only here for 1-night. Overall, we wouldn't come back especially for a longer stay. The exterior corridors were incredibly noisy and we could hear someone going back and forth upstairs. I prefer the safety of interior corridors but driving around Penticton indicates that exterior ones are of the fashion. The only benefit was that I could drive right up to my door and unload. We had a 2 QN bedroom, full kitchen suite. The kitchen was stocked and kept clean. I was surprised to see a full container of dish soap already there. The bedrooms aren't incredibly spacious. The only tricky thing about the rooms was that you could change channels from the living room into the closest bedroom so that annoyed our kids a bit. We didn't open up the sofabed but the fabric looked really tired and worn. The first room when you enter was the bathroom. The part I hated was the frosted glass that faces the parking lot with no curtains for privacy. The pool is across the courtyard and because it's all exterior corridors we had to walk in the rain to get to the pool. The pool was so frigid that my husband who loves the water wouldn't go under for about 10 minutes but had to because our kids wanted to swim around. You can get into the pool without using your keycard from the 2 entry points so really anyone even off the street can go in there. The breakfast was disappointing but it was free. Standard fare of waffles, ham, scrambled eggs, pastry assortment, breads, yoghurts, cereals, and hard boiled eggs. In the courtyard there was a bbq canopy, chairs/tables, outdoor pool, swing set - so I guess it's much different in the summer. I would've picked the Ramada but they didn't have an indoor pool. There is a Wal-Mart, Tim Hortons, and other shops within a 5-minute drive.

« A great breakfast to get your day started »

Very clean room with a very comfortable bed and the shower worked great with nice complimentary hair and body products !! We felt welcome and safe with well lighted parking areas ...there was both an outdoor pool and a wonderful indoor pool and a hot tub and a laundromat ...in my opinion they had everything you need to have a nice stay . we spent two nights and would have been happy to spend more !

    3
« Average, but friendly staff, some issues and concerns though »

Overall a good breakfast spread offered and friendly staff but found it weird to have an exercise area right out in the open at entrance to where they have breakfast upstairs. Plus internet was worst wever, could not log on to many many attempts. Limited tv channels and old school, no high def offered. I also called down to ask about internet weakness at 11 pm and no answer, not good.

« Good Place to stay »

While the place is a little older, it is well kept. The room was nice but the TV/Cable box needed to be set up correctly to use the advertised 42" screen. Two TVs in this suite and one of the remotes did not work. Not a big deal since we were only there for a night. We stayed in a King suite and the room was very nice with a kitchen and all the dishes necessary. I would stay with them again. The staff was extra nice and the breakfast was better than expected at this level of hotel. The indoor pool and hot tub were very nice as was the outdoor pool although we used neither. The Hotel is near the lake and the beach. A very good value at the off-season rate. We were told that people come here during the high season year after year. I can understand why.

    3
    « Old property »

This property is very old and probably should be rebuilt. Beds are very soft. The rooms are also showing there age, very noisey could hear people above and next to you. Hotel is not in a very good location,

    3
    « Clean and comfortable »

This is an older motel that has been remodeled in the recent past. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. All in all, it was an OK place to stay. The breakfast was above average for motel food. There is a large swimming pool in the middle of a very large grassy area between wings of the hotel. I didn't see an elevator for handicapped folks and the climb to the second floor could be a challenge to some.

    5
    « pleasant oasis »

We enjoyed our stay with our new puppy, great breakfast each morning. Of course everything is close to everything in Pent icon. Courtyard is very pleasant spot to relax. Indoor swimming facility and exercise room are big pkus'.
