Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre

Well I'm heading there tomorrow and so far it's been weird how they book as we are going as a hockey team. First during the week the room are 159.00 then once Friday hits they go up 100.00 no reason just raking advantage of weekend busy schedule. I'm not impress. They had the room under different names and had to get our organizer deal with this. We shouldn't have to deal with this is a once a year get away.

We were disappointed in the rooms were we assigned and received no help from the staff. Having booked months in advance and contacting the hotel in ahead of time, it was difficult to accept that our rooms had the worst view there! The staff only gave us insincere apologies and sent us away.

Great family mini vacay my heart needed with my kids. We stayed for March break and just went for a little getaway for something to do. Went to an indoor playground and London children's museum all while staying at the hotel. The activities they had going on for March break was such a nice bonus!

We decided to take a spontaneous mid winter 'trip' to our local BW. Picked Lamplighter from past experience with their tropical pool/atrium area. Felt like we were on a southern vacation. No need to leave the hotel as all food and amenities were excellent and reasonably priced. Customer service was great and staff friendly. Room was quiet and comfortable for 2 nights.

I understand why this hotel has a higher price tag for a Best Western, but I wouldn't recommend it. The rooms are very outdated. I don't think they have changed very much in 20 years. I am glad they have bedbug covers on the beds, but they need to use proper fitted sheets as well. The carpets in the room are so old and gross. The pool was also not that warm. The first day it was manageable, our second day my son and I started shivering within a few minutes. My son was happy with the stay, but even has said that he would rather stay somewhere else and he is 7!

A zero if i could rate it a zero i would for starters when we walked into our room they were defrosting the fridge with a fan as well as a towl shoved into the fridge the cherry ontop well this morning while my boyfriend showered and i lay in bed not decent house keeping barged into the room without knocking (it was 10am) and when i confronted them the lady said she didn't know what time checkout was (its 11 and they should know its 11) when i went to the front desk they were very helpful and offered free breakfast but that does little especially when the wait for breakfast is over 45 mins while in line we talked to 2 other couples who travelled over 5 hours to walk into a room with multiple issues in conclusion this is not only a awful hotel but its also scary i mean i as a 22 yr old female felt very uncomfortable being walked in on i can only imagine how a parent would feel if it was their MINOR being walked in on almost a full hour before check out DO NOT GO HERE

We had the best two days ever. My 4 year old granddaughter had me in and out of the pool. The arcade was a bit old for her but she still had fun. Food was great at the restaurant and the room service was fast. She loved the robot at the restaurant. I would totally recommend the Best Western Lamplighter Inn.

Whenever in London,we stay at the Lamplighter,Best Western simply the best everytime We stay at the Best Western Lamplighter hotel and every time it is excellent. Super staff and above Average rooms. .

We did a last minute get away for a break.. the pool area is beautiful and very relaxing! One of London's hidden gems! We also took our Grandkids there last March break and they totally enjoyed the stay!

My wife was getting surgery and she had to stay at the hospital a few nights so we rented the hotel to be close by. They offered us a medical discount on our room and treated us like family. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family member. The pool was clean

The pool and waterslide are great! my kids loved it. There is a little arcade. It was a nice little family staycation. No issues at all. There are large groups of kids everywhere and someone Nicky nine doored us, but I thought it was cute. Def a great place for kids.

I have been coming here for years and likely will not be back. The prices have gone up and the cleanliness has gone way down. There was mould in our room and the shower was filthy. Other guests did not abide by the “no smoking” rules and hotel staff wouldn't enforce it. $650 for two nights and the jacuzzi tub was full of mould , the sink was full of mould, and the showers were grimy and dirty. Makes me Wonder if they ever do a deep clean between guests. Very turned off of the hotel.

This is a very clean hotel and the pool was great. My wife traveled with me for a work trip and she spent time by the pool reading books in a very relaxing atmosphere. The meals were great as well. The location is maybe not the best.

The hotel is fantastic overall but the room experience is inconsistent. Some rooms are updated and offer a great view of the pool area but others are outdated and offer a view of just the inside of the atrium away from the pool. However they charge the same.

WoW!!!!!! What a gem! Absolutely incredible here!!!!! First off it's HUGE!!! So much space. Incredible staff! So clean!!!!! They have a huge waterside with a pool and a warm waterfall you can walk under. They have toys and life jackets to use too! They also have a koi fish pond right beside the pool. When you walk up to it the fish come right up to you! They have incredible staff. This morning my kids and I went to the pool and the gardener tending to all the plants sprayed some water at the kiddos they loved it! Housekeeping went above and beyond. The arcade here isn't very expensive and the kids actually won 6 toys!!!! Literally feels like a resort here. This is by far our most favorite hotel we have been to! We will be back!!!

The carpets in the room smell like a dusty, moldy cigarette butt. The lobby and hallways are renovated and beautiful so I had high expectations. The reality is my clothes had to washed the moment I returned because the smell was in the fabric of my luggage.

Good! Stayed with Lamplighter Inn for a work conference. Great large spaces for work-related meetings. The pool, slide and bar area makes it feel like you are in a tropical area. Would be great for a family get away.

The room smell disgusting and I had asked for a wheelchair accessible room I was traveling with my mother whom needs a wheelchair accessible room she has bowel issues and when I attempted to bring her to the bathroom when she needed it I quickly found out that the room was not wheelchair accessible and she had an accident which I spent a great deal of time cleaning and practically had to lift her into the ledge of the bathtub and sponge bath for clean because she cannot stand up in the shower there was no accessibility in the bathroom whatsoever The hotel knew I needed the room to be accessible I book directly through the hotel I made them aware of my mother's situation when I checked in I even asked him if they had a hotel wheelchair that I could use I should have known that there was a problem right once I got to my room because there was a problem in the door threshold something was disrupting my ability to get the wheelchair into the room had I known that the room was going to be like this I would have never stayed in this hotel The main reason that I booked this particular hotel above any of the other hotels in London was I wanted to give my mother an opportunity to sit in her chair by the pool and look at the nice trees and skylight they have if I have to be 100% honest I think that is the only thing this hotel has going for it The room smelt gross and dingy the air in the main area that people gather with the swimming pool and all of the exotic trees and plants is very well climate controlled humidity controlled such a shame that they would dream of renting rooms to people that are not respected the same as the common rooms leaving guests paying over $200 a night to be stuck in a room that the air barely circulates in and takes hours to reach an appropriate temperature what a big disappointment most likely we will not be back again with all the other options in London Ontario I couldn't see myself spending my hard-earned money to stay in such a dingy stinky humid not wheelchair accessible room with absolutely no view of anything but the parking lot what a shame I honestly feel taken advantage of.

We booked the executive suite expecting more of a higher end room and was very disappointed. The bath drain stop didn't work The air conditioner was not working and only moving air as opposed to cooling. It ran non stop and is quite loud The fridge door would not stay shut and the fridge was very noisy a d ran non stop The bed when we got there was wet and the sheets were damp The floor is filthy and after a short time without shoes my white socks were black The couch smelled of sweat and felt like a layer of grim was on the material. After sitting for a short period light colored clothes were soiled Were were supposed to switch rooms because of the drain to the tub not working and I told the manager at around 8am that it would have to wait until after 4pm and to call when the other executive room was available. We got back from our day out and 2 people were in our room fixing the drain without our permission and knowledge of being there so It was taken upon themselves to enter my room knowing I would not be there. They fixed the tub and we didn't end up moving rooms and received a comp for breakfast at Shelley's. Shelley's is really good and great for both children and adults. They have a robot waiter that my daughter loved to see. I believe that this hotel only has high votes because of the pool and slide and does not reflect the rooms. This was the second time staying. The previous time the room hasmd a strong odor of cannabis and the bathroom fan was running upon entering so the hotel knew of this issue but still rented the room to 2 adults with a child under 3

Very nice hotel, room was quiet and super comfortable. Great location - away from the busy downtown, yet easy access to it, easy access to main NS as well as EW major streets, close to many excellent restaurants. Lovely pool if you have small kids; however it is small, quite shallow, and the water seemed much too warm for the day's 30C+ temperatures. I have two minor complaints about the hotel: 1. breakfast is not included which means either you pay $$$ at the restaurant, or drive out, 2. We were there 2 nights, and our room was not done - I had to go find the cleaning staff to get clean towels.

Really nice place to stay,enjoyed the room. We went there for a wedding we had fun,there also a slide.the wedding was where the pool was it was very special.the restaurant that is there is really good.

We stayed with our four children. They loved the pool and the water slide. The room was nice, a little dated and small for us but overall we would stay here again. The staff for very courteous, friendly and helpful when we needed extra towels and bedding for our kids.

It was a family 3-night stay. Excellent in all. There was a small problem with water retaining in the sink but it was quickly resolved by a maintenance personnel. I would give a 5-star rating if continental breakfast included.

It was our first vacation with our almost 2 year old son. Such a great experience. The pool was his favourite part (mine too) and we had such a blast! Definitely recommend to any family to stay here for a little getaway!

Comfortable beds, great staff, friendly atmosphere, comfortable beds, classy inside and out. I love staying here for the pool, the fitness center and the hot tub. The rooms are cleaned on a request basis so you need to ask for that to be done. It isn't like it used to be. They no longer provide the body wash which sucks but it is still an amazing place to stay. They provide bar soap, shampoo and conditioner, towels and almost everything you could ask for. Coffee and tea in the rooms. The ice machines don't always work but they are always on top of getting them fixed. One on each floor and vending machines! No smoking in any of the rooms and soft pillows. I can't say enough positive things! Lots of parking and great food options nearby.

Helpful and friendly staff - at the front desk, in the bar/lounge, in the restaurant and in the housekeeping department. The food in the restaurant was very good. The rooms were very clean & well kept. Also, the indoor pool was excellent - in a 'tropical' setting with waterfalls & fish pond. This is my grandson's favourite hotel ! One trip was with my family - the other trip was business related.

while we did not originally get the rooms we were looking for, the staff made sure that we ended up with a perfect room. i also thought that a breakfast was included but it was not. coffee maker was provided though.

What a horrible experience! I purchased a three day getaway at this hotel for close family members with young children from Booking.com, so they could enjoy the pool during their holiday. However, I was unable to complete the booking due to policy issues about telephone CREDIT CARD payments. I was transferred to the Hotel General Manager Syed Gardezi, who became enraged when I mentioned that payment issues would force me to cancel the reservation and give a negative review to booking.com. I explained to Mr. Gardezi that I live 3 hours away and could not present myself at the hotel with my credit card. After a few back and forth comments, Mr. Gardezi threatened to contact my employer because he knew my name, address and phone number from my online reservation. Presumably, he threatened to weaponize my personal information, thus forcing me to contact London Police to explain the situation. AS GENERAL MANAGER, MR. SYED GARDEZI INFORMED ME ON THE PHONE THAT HE BANNED ME FROM THE HOTEL AND THREATENED TO TRESPASS ME IF I ATTEMPTED TO ENTER THE FACILITY. Mr. Gardezi also refused to refund my deposit, which then caused me to contact Booking.com Head Office, Best Western Head Office and the London Police Department again. After several hours of emails and phone calls, the assistant manager Harris called to apologize and refund my cancellation fee of over $200 because the General Manager Syed Gardezi banned me from the hotel and threatened to trespass me if I entered the facility. TOO BAD I CAN'T REVIEW THE ACTUAL PROPERTY.

All of the staff we spoke with were friendly and helpful. Their amenities are fantastic and we so appreciated the medical rate as our child had surgery nearby. We're looking forward to coming back for fun next time!

This hotel is well designed for families. We were not expecting the water slides to be open but we were in luck and our family thoroughly enjoyed their use. The pool is warm and spacious and the hot tub and waterfall were extra perks. This is a perfect place to stay if you are in the London area with young children. The front staff was helpful, kind and made us feel welcomed.

Our daughter was in hospital. The hotel was clean and easy to find, very friendly, and comfortable. The restaurant attached to the hotel was wonderful! Would definitely recommend, will come again and bring our grandkids to enjoy the awesome pool area!

Staff was accommodating as I had extra kids from initial reservation. Early check in was available. Kids loved the pool, the balcony off our room and breakfast in bed. Breakfast was tasty and affordable compared to room service at other hotels. Also when one of the kids fell at the pool, staff was prompt & attentive to her with band aids etc, providing comfort to my little one

The Lamplighter is a great place to stay! The pool area is amazing. The rooms are clean. It is unfortunate that breakfast is not included, as many families stay at this hotel due to the super awesome pool. The hotel restaurant could be considered expensive, but many alternatives are close by.

We dined with my sister & husband from our of town. Both the food & service were excellent. We especially enjoyed the Robot serving the food and taking away the dishes at the end of our meal. It is so cute !! We live nearby and have enjoyed dining here many times ~ you should consider giving it a try !

This was the nicest and cleanest Best Western that I have ever been in. Go Canada!! They really had pride into the their hotel. Everything was top notch and the pool area was beautiful. There is nothing bad that I can say about this hotel.

The WIFI signal is poor, sometime inexistant. I couldn't even use my cell phone data because of the weak signal. I would not go back to this hotel for business purpose because internet is essential to me. For family fun, I highly recommend it. The Atrim is great and my family loved it. I recommend a room with balcony facing the Atrim. The hotel cleanliness is highly commendable.

Short get away with grandkids who very much enjoyed the pool and water slide. Of course the little arcade was also a hit. Would definitely plan a longer stay next time. Found the 4 pm check in a little late however that was our only negative.

We stay here every time my daughter requires a surgery at the local hospital. The humidity from the gorgeous atrium soothes her throat after surgery. The staff is always helpful, respectful and kind. The beds are so comfy with so many useable pillows. The rooms spacious and clean smelling with no lingering “clean” smells. We are scent sensitive. The balconies are roomy with great views of the atrium. Aside from the stresses of surgery recovery, this hotel is awesome!

We stayed 1 night to avoid bad weather for an appointment,, the hotel, staff and everything else was extremely amazing for the price.. location was fantastic,, restaurant onsite was awesome ,, parking was terrific and close to elevator.. would certainly recommend for any sort of adventure,, the pool area looked extremely fun if traveling with children (I don't believe it's fully open during the week) but it certainly was full of family fun

The employees were super helpful, the room and amenities were very clean. Our family just loved the pool and waterslide, the kids spent hours there. The restaurant inside the hotel was good and it was convenient. We can't wait to book again.

I went here with my family. The kids had a blast and so did we. Our view from our balcony was amazing, it made us feel like we were at a resort. The pool and hot tub were clean and awesome and the slide was incredible as we used it many times. The whole place was very neat and clean and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back.

We stayed 2 nights in one of the family suites. The kids had a blast the whole time, and loved the pool. There were only tiny little things that I would consider annoyances, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying our stay. The staff was great as well. Highly recommended

check in was scheduled for 4pm, we didn't receive our room until 730pm. we have a toddler, it was very inconvenient. staff were very nice at front desk and said reason for delay was lack of cleaning staff. yet our room was not super clean

We had a great 3 night stay between Christmas and New Year's. This was our second time visiting the hotel. We were there for a couple of nights in June for my grandson's birthday. Both my grandsons love the the pool and water slide. We all thoroughly enjoyed the atrium and our balcony. We ate all our meals in the restaurant/bar. The food was great and reasonable. It was busy at times but we weren't in a hurry. The staff handled everything with pleasant good humour which we appreciated. I would like to make special mention of Kate on the front desk. She checked us in and out and was super helpful. During our checkout we were interrupted by a rather unpleasant guest and I was thoroughly impressed with her calm professionalism. Basically we likened our stay to a trip to a resort in the tropics sans the airport hassles and no sunscreen required.

Great accommodations, very clean, friendly staff, above average restaurant, plenty of parking. We lost an IPad but thankfully the housekeeping staff found it and will hold it until we return later this month. Excellent service.THANK YOU ALL!

Stayed here with our two kids, ages 10 and 12. I'm sorry I didn't discover Lamplighter sooner. It was so much fun, and very clean. We ate at Shelly's twice and while service was a bit slow, the food was great and prices reasonable/ same as if we had ventured out for off-site restaurant. We will definitely return.

Front desk staff very accommodating for our group booking and for my father who was in a wheelchair. Great rooms, fantastic time at the pool! Staff very attentive to the facility, plants, pool, etc. just beautiful!!

Hotel staff were great and extremely friendly. Room was a little under par, there were stains on our bedding and the comforters looked extremely old. The pool is great and kids absolutely loved the water slide.

Visited hotel with daughter, son, and spouse. Very clean and well maintained property. Great pool and waterslide area. Restaurant was also very well priced with good food. Will be back to enjoy the hotel in the future.

We stayed over Christmas. The pool is fun but the more people in the hotel the dirtier it gets. We had to ask for our room to be vacuumed and had cold food because the hotel staff took 3 trips from the kitchen to get the full order delivered. By Boxing Day the pool area was disgusting. I saw a wet popsicle stick disintegrating on the steps to the pool in the same place for 2 or 3 days in a row. Most of the staff were really friendly but we were disappointed overall with the cost and lack of cleanliness. We thought we were getting an atrium room and we did but it was behind the water slide. FYI, if you are looking for a view of the pool best to double check. The rooms aren't very sound proof so you can hear your neighbours at all hours as well.

Found a cockroach at midday in our room during our second day of our stay. They told us they would block off our one room and their policy is to only deal with the one room, not fumigate the hotel. Anyone who knows anything about roaches knows this will not deal with the problem and them being seen in the daylight indicates a serious infestation. They didnt give a full refund, let alone any sort of compensation to get our things professionally cleaned or replaced. They didn't inform any other guests and we didnt even see them block off the room. On top of that the TV wasnt working correctly and the heating system also didnt work. Those issues we looked passed because it was our daughters 3rd birthday and we mostly went for the pool. Knowing there are roaches infesting the place has my skin crawling. All of our belongings had to be thrown away and replaced, and we had to leave the day of my daughters birthday when my husband caught this disgusting bug in a bottle and we confirmed, yes, it's a cockroach. HEALTH HAZARD! DO NOT GO! DISGUSTING!

This hotel makes you feel like you are at a tropical resort without leaving the country. The waterslide is so fun and the palm trees make you smile. The upper deck is a great place for family games night. The arcade keeps kids of all ages busy for hours.

We arrived on Christmas Day, stayed for 2 nights. The check in gentleman gave us a complimentary upgrade when I kindly asked for a different view. Room was ready to go and we even got an early check in time of 30 mins. Which was awesome because we were able to hit the pool by 16:00 on Christmas Day!!!

My family and I stayed here to get away for the night with friends. The pool area was very nice , but our hotel room was very cold from a draft coming in from under the patio door. Also our bed was broken. Was not very happy.

We stayed for one night during X'mas. The room is clean with a balcony facing the pool. Kids enjoy the pool and the slide very much. Though the restaurant was closed on X'mas day, they did provide coffee, juice and cookies.

All staff super friendly. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Restaurant has delicious food and always quick and hot. Pool is very clean and lots of fun for the whole family. Lots of stuff for kids and adults to do. Close to a lot of stores and restaurants as well. 5 Stars!

This hotel is very modern and clean .The staff are top notch people at ther professions.tithe pool and waterfalls are beautiful! The restaurant is also exceptional.We recommend this place if you want a relaxing hassle free stay !

Staff are outstanding, atmosphere is amazing, food was awesome! Location was great to catch the London Knights game at the Budweiser arena and share some amazing fun times with the family! GREAT hockey, WOW city, crazy good food, super Christmas with the family in an amazing city...Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn was perfect for us!!!!

This is a very nice place to stay. The pool and Hot Tub is really nice to relax in if you need time away from the room. I wasn't fan of the restaurant Shelby's however as the food was very sub standard for the high prices. The room was very clean and the pillows amazing. I love the separate bathtub and shower in the room. It allowed for me to shower and if my hubby wanted a bath he could at the same time. You choose whether or not you want the room cleaned as well. However if you do want it cleaned you MUST put the sign on the door unlike before when you had to put it on the door when you "didn't" want it done. Poor option for channels on the tv however, if you want to wind down for the night and just watch a bit of television before going to sleep, or if you can't sleep and want to watch it. Tea and coffee provided and all other restaurants are close by. Lots of free parking which was a huge bonus. Elevators as well which I enjoyed! A arcade and laundry on site which was great as well. All round an amazing place to stay with helpful staff that is very friendly!

First night was great, but on the second, there was a Christmas party going on. It ran until nearly 1AM and the hotel said they couldn't (wouldn't) do anything about it. The doors to their banquet rooms open into the same atrium that many guest rooms open into. Between the loud music and shouts of drunken party guests, it was a rough night. The hotel offered a small discount (30%) for that night, but it hardly made up for the night and the tired kids we had the next day.

Harris was so helpful and professional in helping us to resolve our reservation/cancellation issue yesterday. We need more people like him in this world. We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, the rooms are in desperate need of upgrades. The chlorine smell permeates into the rooms making them humid and smelly. Do not get room 215 it's is very old

Very nice hotel with an atrium and a pool area. It was clean and for the most part quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There was a whirlpool tub and a separate shower, a fridge and coffee maker but no microwave for those who use them. We chose to stay here because it was close to the hospital. There is a restaurant on site that was good. The only complaint we had was it was very warm in the room. We turned the fan off but it didn't get better. The halls were warm too. This is a really great place for families with kids. I recommend this hotel.

I was in London with my family for the weekend and chose to stay at this location. Overall it's a nice hotel, great pool for kids with plenty of parking. I did find that it was a bit pricey for the overall value.

This was a terrible stay with a hotel chain that is usually better. It is clear that the Lamp Lighter Inn, is struggling. Really struggling. The room was dirty, fridge was stinky and broken. The staff was really NOT on the ball. Had to ask to have the room cleaned several times. Check-in was as nightmare as they were training someone new, but made it the customer's problem. This was a terrible terrible stay and Best Western should be ashamed of the service, the disgusting dirty room, and the lack of pride in customer service.

Stayed one night for business. It was November so quieter- great place for families as they have a great pool area with palm trees, fish, water slide, waterfall etc. so it can get noisy. Had a room facing the atrium/pool area but we were surprised that it was fairly quiet and we didn't smell the cholorine. Atrium room would be great for you to see the family sitting on the balcony. Three storey hotel and conference centre. Giving it a four star as it doesn't include breakfast! First time at a Best Western where there is no breakfast but there is a restaurant attached to it and lots of other fast food restaurants around like Tim Hortons, Macdonalds, etc. Friendly and helpful reception staff. Room was clean and beds comfortable.

We stayed for the pool and were not disappointed - very nice pool area. The rooms were also very clean and well appointed. Would definitely recommend for families. The restaurant had decently priced breakfast.

This is a great place to escape to, It was such a nice little getaway. The pool, atrium and hot tub were so relaxing. We connected as a family and could just kick back and relax. it was a little break from the daily grind of chores, cooking etc.

We dined with my sister/husband at Shelly's to celebrate a special birthday. Our server was Ashley and she provided excellent service. She helped with our decisions on what to order (the food was excellent) and brought a yummy piece of cake with a candle when she heard it was my birthday. The Vegetable Penne Pasta is the best pasta both my sister & I have ever had!! Highly recommend you give it a try when you visit.

Nice hotel, restaurant was good, good location 10 mins from downtown. Atrium area was very pleasant to sit and enjoy a relaxing experience. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and well stocked. Would stay again.

The hotel itself is great but there is zero theft deterrence for someone to steal your vehicle. No security cameras or security on premise. The fact that they have multiple functions (weddings, meetings, parties) a little shocked there there are no security on staff in case of any incidents including alcohol service or fighting. There only protocol is to call police but they are a convention centre. My truck was stolen the first night of a two night stay, so didn't get much use of the amenities as I was busy dealing with police and insurance rather then enjoy the beautiful pool area. I just wish they would inform guests of car theft problems at the hotel so you can make a more informed decision where you are parking and what's in your vehicle. Thankfully not much was in my truck but I'm sure others my not have been so lucky.

Beautiful, clean suite. But old ventilation made for a stuffy & over warm room. The crunchy bedding was a little uncomfortable and very noisey while in bed. Well maintained otherwise, in a great location in thw city, lots of great parking and great pool.

Hotel room was okay, cleaning was not very good in between days as sheets were not changed, no new bath wash or shampoo left but we dis get clean towels. Pool closed half of Saturday and did not open Sunday morning which was the whole reason we.booked on a weekend.

Come to a place where service excellence is the order of the day. From the check in to room quality, from pool to breakfast, you will not be disappointed! The room was spacious and warmly appointed, clean and welcoming.

Awesome Inn. Cheerful, courteous staff. Made us feel very welcomed. Try their best to accommodate your needs to the very best of their ability. We always stay here when we travel. Most of our travels seem to be for medical appointments. Stressful times. It is so nice to have a quiet, comfortable place to come to. It is the next best thing to coming home. We are thankful for having this place to come to.

This hotel is note what it used to be. The room/beds were comfortable and clean, but the service is terrible. Each time I called the hotel (directly, not the 1-800 number), once to try and get an early check in and again to book an additional room (within the same stay), the phone just rings and rings and you are constantly re-routed back to the main menu after pressing the option you are looking for. I tried to order room service at 8:30pm and no one answered for 10-15 minutes before I finally called the front desk to confirm room service was still open. Front desk told me that they were still open and transferred me again. After another 5 minutes of no answers, I called the front desk again to again confirm that the restaurant was actually open. This time, they didn't pick up and instead transferred me back to the restaurant. They did this 2-3 times before I finally went down around 8:50pm to order for take-out and I was told by the only waitress working that the kitchen was closed (the bar was quite busy, so this might explain why no one picked up). We tried to grab breakfast on our way out and spent 15 minutes in line with one family of four ahead of us, and no one (waitress, hostess, or manager) came to greet anyone at the front during that time. They were busy, but we could see at least 4-5 empty tables. When a waitress finally came to the front looking for a table of 10, I asked her how long the wait would be and she said an additional 15-20 minutes. We left. I don't mind waiting, but the fact that no one even acknowledged the line of 15-20 people to let us know that there would be a bit of a wait, I just didn't feel like giving any more money to this establishment. I spent $1200 over two nights and for such a costly hotel, the price just is not worth it when the service is so sub-par.

we stayed in room 380 and there appears to be black mold in the shower stall. because we rented the room for a wedding, we were forced to use the shower, despite the blackness in the grout in the corners and in some places on the wall. In addition, this hotel forced us to take a 2-night minimum.

Very clean motel, the bed was medium soft which you got a great sleep. Rooms were clean. Pool area was relaxing. The staff were all very friendly. When ever you needed anything they were very quick to respond.

When we arrived the harried front staff were doing their best to check people in. Staff shortages meant not enough rooms were ready, and the line-up was long. We were eventually upgraded to a roomy queen suite. I was worried it would be noisy as it faced the pool but it was on a higher floor, so noise was not an issue. It was very hot outside and the air conditioning in the room worked beautifully. Though we didn't use the pool, we did use the laundry which worked well. We also met a friend and had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel. It was delicious and the service was very good.

I've heard about so many people loving it here but it wasn't as great as I had hoped. The layout is a bit confusing, and when we had trouble finding our room the staff wasn't super helpful. We had to track down 3 different people to finally get help. Kids are running up and down the halls yelling all night and parents don't care. Super rude. Our daughter was struggling in the water after coming off the slide and the lifeguard didn't even notice or seem to care. Hopefully if a child really needed some help maybe she would. Kids were also going down head first and sometimes on top of each other and none of the staff seemed to care about the safety at all.

The pool was short staffed. The water was cold. The water slide was closed The majority of the time. The towels in the rooms were dirty. The pool area was not maintained or stocked with clean towels. The front desk would not answer the phone when called. The hotel and restaurant both appeared to be short staffed.

The pool and atrium at this hotel is absolutely fantastic! The rooms are clean and well laid out. We stayed when there were 3 weddings and several events happening at the conference centre and there was enough parking for everyone, and it was not loud at all in the rooms- in fact perfectly quiet. Our room didn't get cooled down as much as we wanted but it wasn't hot either so we didn't complain. Beds were comfortable, bathroom had everything we needed - it has a seperate bathtub and shower so two people can bathe at the same time. The staff was super friendly as well. The pool and slide are awesome however, the slide isn't open all the time - only when they have 2 lifeguards available and that is really rare. We stayed there for 5 nights and the slide was only open for a few hours in total for 2 days, so don't expect the slide to be open. The games room is fantastic as well, lots of fun games to play as family but it is quite warm in there. The gym had everything I needed for a good workout too. Overall, great hotel!

All Staff encountered throughtout stay were unfriendly, didn't smile and front desk was exteremly slow at check in. Very unwelcoming as there was a party in the front room with music so loud it caused a headache (while waiting in line) and could barely hear the clerk during check in. Duvet had obvious brown stains. Bed and sheets uncomfortable. No bedding for twice requested "crib" which also was badly stained. Both tv remotes barely worked, very annoying. All 3 soap dispensers in shower were empty. Dirty (garbage) under pull out sofa. Lines for breakfast were ridiculous. Bad coffee and some dishes extremely salty. Nice hallways and pool. Crappy hours on water slide, unable to use on two night stay.

We arrived at 4 (check in time) and both rooms weren't available… bathtub dirty, water slide closed Mon-thurs and no one said anything when I made the reservation. Pool super dirty around edge and bottom, huge hairballs floating all over, and NO towels … at all… AC is governed and not cold. Couldn't breathe the entire time trying to sleep.. would NEVER stay here again for $200+. Go to another hotel that has a pool for cheaper

Check in was fast and courteous. Room was clean, spacious and had everything I needed. Was not able to enjoy the amenities, however I've stayed here various times I knew that they would be as great as always. Another good stay at the LAMPLIGHTER

The rooms were very clean. The air conditioning settings were comfortable throughout our stay. The internet was easily accessible. The pool and atrium areas were well maintained. The restaurant, while a bit slow on the seating of guests, had delicious food and good service.

We've stayed at Lamplighter Inn few times and its always been a great stay. When in London, this is really a great option as its a big facility with good bar and restaurant and the waterpark for kids. The rooms are starting to get a bit dates but still very clean and comfortable. If you need to stay downtown, this is just a short drive away but still close, also there isn't a lot of good restaurants that are a walking distance so if you stay here you will need to drive pretty much everywhere. Its not the quietest place as it has lots of families with small kids, but its a very good place to stay when in London.

We stay at the lamplighter while in London for doctors appointments. It's our favourite hotel. The atrium, pool, personnel are all great! The hotel is just a couple minutes taxi ride to the hospital. Looking forward to our next trip.

Staff went above and beyond for my family. We mentioned it was my daughter's birthday and we came back to 2 loot bags from the hotel full of great gifts that made my two daughters very happy. The restaurant staff were also very kind. The place is also kept very clean.

A really Good vibe at this hotel with the (indoor) pool atrium. Our Room had a balcony and overlooked the pool. Perfect for a winter weekend get away!! The rooms were clean and we appreciated the accessible shower stalls. In terms of value, the price we paid was lower than most for the amenities offered and room service portions made for great value as well.

If you are going to this hotel to use the waterslide and pool- don't go! The pool could be closed for ‘deep cleaning' prior to a wedding (when really the groomsmen came for a swim) and then closed again for the duration of the wedding. They don't open the waterslide during the hours that are stated on their website or the gate for the lighthouse. The staff doesn't care that the hours aren't followed. Multiple sad children walking up and down the stairs to check to see if it is open. I had to call multiple times to see when it would be open. Friday night I called twice and was told Saturday it will be open all day. However, Saturday came and it didn't open until 5 pm. It was suppose to be open at 8am and there was a wedding that closed the pool- the representative we talked to Friday night didn't tell us that either. Andre ‘duty manager' Saturday night was extremely rude and basically said sorry you don't like that we don't follow our pool/waterslide hours but that's the way it is!

The property was just perfect for our family of all ages 4 to 62 it is a little slice of heaven right here in southern Ontario. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is located near lots of restaurants and shopping etc.

The pool was overcrowded at all times. We expected there to be some social distancing rules in place. Room service was terrible. Cold food and we were not brought utensils, napkins or condiments. We waited another half hour for that to arrive after they suggested we come down to get them.

The hotel is easy to get to off the highway and has a LOT of shops and resturants around it within walking or driving distance. The rooms are small and to the point. Pull out beds are ok for kids but NOT older people. The big feature is the large pool with water slide in the middle of the hotel. Open from morning till night, it's a wonderful place to relax before or after your day's activities.

Great place to stay! We went for a night with friends for a girl's trip. Staff was helpful. Very clean facilities. The room was surprisingly quiet given the sports teams and wedding in the building. Kids loved the slide!

Not friendly staff, no working shuttle , asked for room to be cleaned while we went out to for 3 hours. Was told by front desk it would be cleaned and we came back to a non cleaned room. Most staff was nice but one girl at front desk was so rude and nasty. Food at restaurant was amazing

We've stayed at the Lamplighter Inn before and it's a great, clean hotel. They keep the pool at a comfortable temperature so you can walk right into it and not get a chill. All the staff are friendly and professional and help wherever they're needed and they do it with a smile.

I stayed for two nights over the weekend in a Queen Suite. It had a lower level living room with a sofa, large computer table and large wall mounted TV. There were 2 TVs in the room. I found the queen bed overly soft from my liking. The shower and tub was in a separate room from the wash basin. There was good water pressure from the shower. Because the room was on the side that overlooked the pool area I found it noisy at night. You could also hear people in the hallway and when their room doors closed. The hotel had an excellent restaurant attached. While some Best Westerns have EV charging this one did not.

Myself and 3 friends stayed for a fun night. We love the atrium room we had and enjoyed the pool and even the slide lol. We also loved that Crabby Joes was right beside the motel so walked over after 9 for half price appetizers!!!! Everyone was clean and absolutely perfect!!!

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the rooms. Beds and pillows are comfortable. The rooms that are in the atrium right by the pool and hot tub are fantastic. The staff are welcoming and accommodating :)

My stay here was amazing. Kids enjoyed the pool, the hours for the pool were great. A clock would help in the pool, had so much fun didn't realize kids were well past their bedtime. Staff was very responsive to any requests.

We were really pleased with the hotel during our stay. The food at the restaurant was EXCEPTIONAL. I would have loved if the slide was open. Also, having this “resort” feeling would have been better if the bar was open in the pool area.

Pool, arcade and exercise room are nice and well kept. Room was not made up between nights and when we complained to front desk they told us we have to schedule it and that the door tags (requesting to be made up or for privacy) are ignored. Why even have them if theyre ignored. The TV remotes were difficult to operate, like their batteries were half dead. The restaurant was impossible to reach by phone for room service.

Outlooking our suite was a beautiful coy pond with a waterfall and lighthouse. It was very nice to wake up too! However the beds for me were pretty hard and had issues sleeping and stiffness. A/C was not big enough to keep up to keep the room cold. But still great place and food for breakfast was amazing! Would come back.

The service was good, the hotel was clean but the hotel is tired. Furniture was old, room had no microwave and paid $200+ for room. Needs updates to stay competitive. I think it's good for families that plan to use the pool but I'm sure prices are set to cover costs of keeping up pool area when some money needs to go into decor of hotel.

My daughter wanted to stay in a hotel for her 8th birthday… so we looked up unique hotels and found this one. We thought the pool area was amazing. We drove 4 hours to get there and it didn't disappoint.

This hotel is always amazingly clean and staff are so helpful and friendly. The restaurant is also amazing. the atrium is beautiful and the location is close to many other facilities and the airport..

This was one of the best value stays we have ever had. The atrium is just amazing and the pool staff and lifeguards were the highlight of the trip. Just such a professional staff who can balance the goal of keeping the kids and families safe but also ensuring that everyone is having a great time and is satisfied.

The room was rundown and not especially clean. It was okay but nothing special. The pool was nice but the edge was icky looking. Nice waterfall feature. Staff were extremely friendly and it's in a good location.

Honestly, everything was fine, clean, organized, and staff were happy. The only pinch came when my kid was sad and left left out because she couldn't ride the waterslide that she saw in all the pictures. Before I booked I was looking online for the rules and regulations of the pool and waterslide, as well as, pool hours of operation to make sure that this was the best fit for us. I didn't find any. When I arrived I was informed that pool area would be closed for a portion of our stay due to a wedding (pool and reception area share the same atrium) and that my child was not tall enough to ride the slide. We selected that place specifically for the slide.

My family and I had the greatest experience of all! The staff was beyond great, the amenities were great, the food was amazing! The pool and arcade kept the kids busy and our room was breathtaking and we all had the best sleep we've ever had! The linens were fresh, the pillows were plump and the beds were comfy! The hotel accommodated us with extra fresh blankets and ensured we were all comfortable!

This hotel was amazing. The atmosphere felt like we were at a resort in the Caribbean. The retractable glass roof in the atrium was an added bonus. The hotel was clean and the beds and pillows were so comfy! We loved it and will definitely be back!

Quite simply, the WORST beds I have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. They were awful for everyone in our party. The restaurant service was terrible (had to wait 15+ minutes simply to be sat, with one waitress telling us she "can't" help. It's an OK hotel to stay at for the pool, waterslide and surrounding activities, but I would recommend another hotel instead of this one.

Do not go with the cheaper hotels, BW gives the best to your money. I really liked the amenities, room cleanliness and pool. Hotel is giving you what you paid for and more. you can stay there with great confodence

The rates are very high for a hockey team and/or other family or athletic events. And no accommodation for senior citizens, in rates and/or policies. The policies we have experienced, as a sports team, i e. late check out is not available at this hotel. It's a poor policy when a corporate attitude is applies to everyone. if you look at the choices below, there isn't one for recreational/family EVENT

The hotel gave us a hospital rate for three nights. Unsure if we needed it longer they told us to come back to the front desk and they would extend it . Both are son and daughter brought their families down to stay the weekend and to support us and thought it was a great mini vacation. We will all be back when my husband recuperates. Great place!

I stayed for a concert, wasn't in the room long, but went with a partner. The jaquzzi tub was perfect, clean, and worked well. The King suite we stayed in was very well appointed, clean and would be great for extended stays or a family of 3 or 4 - has a hideaway bed in the living room as well as a small kitchenette.

The hotel is gorgeous inside. The atrium and pool area are beautiful. The kids really enjoyed the pool and hot tub but wish the waterslide was open during the week. The rooms are spacious and really comfortable. It's really close to the hospitals too which is a bonus. We will definitely be back to stay for future appointments.

Traveling: 2 adults (mid-30s), 10yo, 6yo We booked a Friday night to enjoy a night away. Room: One bedroom atrium view. Room was spacious, but a bit dated. The room upgrades have not caught up to the hallways and other areas of the hotel, which look very lovely. Bed was comfortable. Pull out bed was probably one of the most comfortable I've ever laid on. Pool: Busy. Always. It's not big enough to support the number of people there, so prepare to be splashed and crowded. Minimum waterslide height is 48" and they make no exceptions. It was a neat one-time experience with low expectations, but we won't be rushing back.

When you're staying at this hotel, you must try out the waterslide. It's approved for all ages .....all ages grandgeezers! It's a mandatory must and your stay will be enjoyed all the more. If it isn't, try out the hot tub instead!

Best western lamplighter. I stayed at the best western recently and wow, did it ever go downhill. It used to be a reasonable hotel with good service but the last stay was abysmal. I stayed at the hotel for 5 days, not once was the room cleaned, no fresh towels and garbage piling up. I went to the front desk and asked that someone take the garbage out and give fresh towels at around 1pm. 4 hours later at 5pm this had still not happened. Remember when they used to do this daily? Not anymore!! I went back to the front desk and asked they send someone to clean the room again, they left a garbage bag with a few towels in it at the door. They said they could clean it tomorrow, I was checking out the next day... unreal... I had to leave all the garbage in the hallway? Beds don't get made, you won't get towels unless you ask repeatedly, the service is terrible. The rooms are getting dirtier from the last visit a year ago. The soap dispensers in the shower were empty except the conditioner which didn't work anyways. The shower leaked and dripped all night... Staff are wandering around but I'm not sure what anyone actually does here. The pool is dirty and they are apparently not maintaining that either. This was by far my worst experience at a best western hotel ever.

My husband and I stayed here after our wedding for 3 nights, this gas always been my favourite hotel in london since I was little. We will be staying every year for our anniversary! We had a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was good, but not included. Shelley's restaurant is attached to the lobby and had great breakfasts and pub food. Very reasonable prices, too (most kids meals are $6). Most of the hotel facilities feel newly renovated, except for the rooms (obviously next on the renovation list). But still very clean and comfortable. The pool and slide are amazing, but the slide is only open Fri eve and Sat and Sun. Unfortunately our 6yr old was 2 inches short to be allowed on the slide (brace yourself for tears!) But it is completely understandable, because of the depth of the churning pool the slide empties into. Have to keep the kids safe!

There is no microwave so that was disappointing but over all love this place. The water slide for kids is awesome. Easy to find and get to. All amenities are very close by. Arcade is very expensive. Very nice experience.

Had a great stay but unfortunately we have been sick ever since. Stayed March 31 with my daughter and grandchildren. We had a great stay and my 3 year old granddaughter is still talking about it. We stayed in the 100 level poolside and as it was quite humid ran our AC all night, the vent being near the foot of my bed. I woke up the next morning and could not speak. I had a sore throat and no voice. Since then both my grandchildren and my daughter have been sick too, two weeks later!! I believe you need to have the ventilation system checked out and possibly some mold testing done.

2girls and I went hear room facing the pool,felt like we were at a resort, pool, hot tub , palm trees , beautiful, the staff is fantastic, my friends were never hear , this was my 3 rd times, we will be back. Great restaurant, highly recommend ❤️

Myself and two of my friends wanted to get away for a few days and we chose the Best Western Plus in London, Ontario! We only live about 30 minutes away but what a wonderful place to stay. The staff was so helpful and friendly! Our room was over looking the pool area and we sat with our coffee in the morning and it had such a resort feeling palm trees lots of plants we felt like we were on an island! The restaurant was a great place to eat and the price was very reasonable. Would highly recommend this hotel if you live close or far!

Great location, staff was friendly and the place was nice, bright and clean! We went as we had a full day at the hospital with appointments. Lamplighter also has a medical discount rate which is awesome. Came back to relax in the hot tub and nice swim in the pool. Beds where comfy, sheets where clean.. sorry I'm picky ! We will definitely be staying there again.

The Best Western Plus in London, Ontario is a magnificent hotel. From the lobby to the hallways, to the pool area, to the workout facility, to the rooms, it has a wonderful ambience and the stature of a 5-Star Hotel! The staff in all areas of the hotel were very pleasant and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling through London, or for someone who is looking for a personal retreat.

We had a fantastic time. We contemplated going to a waterpark in Niagara but chose this instead as it is closer and not as busy and we were not disappointed. The weekend was busy as there was some events going on, including a wedding Saturday night, which closed the pool for an hour during their ceremony, but it was still a fantastic experience. The front desk was always so helpful and anytime we asked for anything brought to the room they were very prompt and kind. All of the lifeguards were very kind and patient with the kids. The arcade could use some spicing up, more games would be nice as there was not a whole lot there but enough to keep the kids happy for a small while. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful hotel!

The hotel was almost fully booked so they said we can charge more since we are Almost sold out. Ended up paying $80 more per night. Only reason we did was to see family that we had not seen in 3 years.

We booked months in advance, 2 rooms for two families. We requested first floor beside each other. We ended up on the third floor. We were told we had adjoining balconies which we did not. The pool and water slide were amazing. Pool was not too cold. A few concerns…. The water slide is not visible from the pool or deck. So if we were in the pool with one child and another wanted to go on the slide we could not see them at all. The pool deck staff were quite strict. Asking us not to give our one year water in his sippy cup on the deck because it wasn't a “clear enough”cup . There were also times where the lifeguards were gathered chatting on the upper deck by the slide and none on the lower deck. The restaurant was great. Good food, good service and not overly expensive.

Was clean and the staff were very kind and accommodating. Rooms were a nice size. We enjoyed the pool with friends although it was a little cold but over all was fun experience. The restaurant was great for breakfast

Great hotel. Grounds and building are clean. Great amenities both in the room and on site. Atmosphere promotes both couples and families. Breakfast not included however the restaurant was good, prices were not too high and the always have a breakfast special. Will see you again soon!!!

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Best Western Lamplighter Inn. We were impressed with the "newness" and cleanliness of the hotel. We had an atrium view room which was a bonus. Nice that it had two separate sleeping areas. Kids obviously LOVED the pool and slide. Beds were comfortable, even the couch pullout. While it didn't affect us in any way, the only downfall was that they seemed shortstaffed ie. not enough lifeguards, no monitoring of fitness room/kids playing on equipment. To be fair though, parents should be monitoring their own kids, sometimes parents were ALSO in the fitness room and allowing their kids play on these machines, even with signage that you must be 16+ to use machines. Overall, great stay, will come again.

The hotel has wonderful amenities and is perfectly situated near lots of attractions and conveniences that anyone could need. The pool is such a treat and open early enough or late enough to get in a swim before/after the crowds. We'd definitely stay again!

My friend sand I booked two nights at this wonderful hotel. Everything was so amazing. All the staff were friendly. Even though we went at a very busy time the hotel was very clean and well organized. Side note if you are planning an adult holiday maybe don't book during March break. Wasn't terrible but there was a lot of kids.

We were there for the March Break. It was our first time there. We were impressed with everything, especially the swimming pool and water slide. Our 11 year old son really enjoyed his time. The game room is fun too. Will definitely come back again.

The pool is amazing! There's a big slide! Not insanely busy! Massive pool! Clean room! They had a movie for the kids in a hall for March break! Amazing and kind staff! I highly recommend staying at this location! Very pleasant stay!!!

Great hotel amenities for a lil family winter getaway. The pool and waterside are fantastic for the kids. We had a room in lower floor with balcony over looking the pool and it was a great location to be. We seriously felt like we were at a resort down south. The resturaunt had great menus choices and the food was really delicious. I was impressed with the service too our server was great. Overall really enjoyed our stay and would for sure return. HOWEVER......... I have one big complaint. We booked our roo. Over the phone with Best Western reservations. We specifically booked for 2 adults and 3 children ages between 10-12. We were told on the phone that the room.had 2 queen beds and a pull out couch. IT DID NOT. Just 2 queen beds and NO couch. I called the front desk to ask for a cot for the room but they saod that these rooms would not allow a cot due to fire regulations. I complained that the roo. Was booked for 5 people in total and they said it was up to us I quote "at your convience to figure out sleeping arrangments" This was not a solution. They offered to change our room where we could have a cot but it was facing the parking lot. We had specifically asked for a pool or atrium facing room. So in the end we went to Canadian tire and brought ourselves an air mattress for the room. Which added on an extra expense of $110 to iur cheap getaway. This really put a dampner on our arrival, not only the disappointment of the room situation but more how the manager at the front desk handled it. He was very negative, patronizing and did not seem to care. This was not what I expected of Best Western customer service.

Was a nice getaway for the family, food, pool, games room. Found it a little expensive since it didn't include a continental breakfast and the hotel didn't have some of our families rooms ready until after 3pm (the guaranteed check-in time).

This hotel makes you feel like you are in the tropics. It's family friendly and very clean. A wonderful getaway that is close to home. Sitting on the balcony having morning coffee overlooking the pool ,makes you feel like you are really on vacation.

We have stayed here for various reasons for over 15 years. It is consistently a good hotel, and great for families with the water slide, hotel, lounge, terrace. It's easy, convenient. We love it. We come here every year for Family Day getaway staycation

My kids and I really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was so pleasant and accommodating. Clean and comfortable. Shelley's restaurant was also wonderful! It's great that the pool area is open till 11! Left lots of time to do stuff and not feel rushed. We loved the slide was open too.

Bad smell in room like BO. Hockey playes out off control. Drinks everywhere at the pool. Beer cans left at pool. Towels everywhere at pool. Life gards doing nothing. Needs better coffee like coffee pods in room or lobby

Great to sit by the pool, under the palm trees and feel that you are in the tropics. Room was perfect set up with a sleeping area and a gathering area. Grandkids stopped by and loved it too. Room service from Shelly's restaurant was good and quick too. Recommend it for couples or family

Booked a stay here for one night for a staycation and it exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean and spacious. The customer service was AMAZING - the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. Our room had a balcony facing the atrium and WOW it truly felt like we were in the south, such a nice relaxing vibe. I would go back here in a heartbeat.

Pool had to be closed twice during our one night stay for an hour each time for cleaning. No notice or reasoning was given. A disappointment for the kids. But once they re opened they had a blast! Room was average. Staff were all friendly. Food from Shelly's restaurant was excellent as was the staff there. We will return again

The nature of our stay at the Best Western was because of hospital appointments and it was very helpful that we were, once again, graciously given their extremely generous discounted rate per night. All of the people and services that we received while staying at the Best Western Inn were excellent and top notch and we definitely plan on staying there even when it will, eventually, only be a pleasure trip to London.

We recently spent a night at the Lamplighter Inn in London Ontario and found this to be a very satisfactory experience. The staff is most accommodating, hotel spotlessly clean and fresh. I highly recommend staying here.

We brought our kids for a little getaway. Staff was extremely friendly and very personable ever where we were in the hotel. Kids loved the pool and restaurant was very clean and food was great. Definitely coming back.

Stayed for 4 days, close to sick kids. Staff was amazing made me feel like home away from home. Very clean, beds are memory foam for my body and my back not the greatest but I did get a good night's sleep. Due to covid pool was closed, but it looks amazing. I think I would like to plan a family vacation just to come back to London and stay here again. Thank you staff.

Excellent stay! We had 4 children and 2 adults. Pool is really nice and kids had the best time. Unfortunately water slide shut down due to Covid but still loads of fun. They dimmed the lights 30 mins before the pool shut down and kids thought that was the best. Restaurant was really good for kids and adults:) Room was comfy. We had a cot delivered at night because we had4 kids and that worked great! I am a hotel snob and this passed the vibe check!

Paper thin walls. Not a relaxing experience whatsoever. Pool and hot tub closed for extended period due to accident. Then when was open took over an hour to get in. Was meant to be a relaxing solo get away and it was everything but that. And to pay the price it costs to have a room in a hotel was way too high. I was expecting the cream of the crop for that price and I did not receive that.

The pool at the hotel is great! The day that we went to the pool was the day that we were checking out so when we got to the pool at 10:20 they told us that they do a deep clean between 11:00 and 12:00 and 11:00 is the check out time and they pick 11:00 to do a deep clean because they want their guests to leave the hotel and not use their pool after checkout time and they started telling us to get out of the pool at 10:45 for the deep clean after that we went to check if they were even doing a deep clean and they weren't.

It was a very nice stay. With all the kids in the hotel the rooms were sound proof. We stayed in the room with access to the pool area. Highly recommended. Guest services were extremely friendly and accommodating.

It's my Christmas tradition to stay at the Lamplighter. A little tropical getaway in the winter. The beds are sooo much more comfortable than the sofa bed in my Mom's living room....and there's a waterfall.

The hotel with that beautiful atrium/pool area was a highlight of the trip for the two ten and eleven year olds. They loved the atrium with the waterfalls and fish in streams - and were most impressed with the huge lighthouse. They swam several different times and enjoyed the hot tub. The view from our balcony over the whole area and pool was impressive. This trip was a birthday gift to our grandson and his friend remarked several times,"This is so much fun, It's the BEST birthday gift."

Enjoyed every minute of my stay. Lamplighter inn has many amenities including the pool and hot tub which really sets the hotel apart from others I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in London or near. Perfect place for couples to go and relax as well as groups looking to have a quick getaway!

We have stayed in this hotel for years, for early morning appointments for my son at Victoria hospital. They always offer a rate (very fair rate) for hospital stays, the staff is always friendly and helpful, and the hotel is always very clean bright and comfy. My son loves the pool and arcade. The hospital is very close and hotel also offers us a shuttle. We will continue to stay here.

Just came back from an overnight stay. Hotel as usual very clean and well maintained. This time the pool AND hot tub were open. Covid protocols in place with masking. Because midweek, there were maybe 5-6 people using entire pool area the two times we used the facilities. Full tropical setting with 3-4 new palm trees. Water slide was not open. Rooms were great as usual except for the mattress, kind of dipped in middle and uncomfortable sleep. Other than that, no complaints. Would recommend to all.

You are a hotel with a big heart. Because i was offering support at the hospital i got a special rate! Your hotel is beautiful. The pool and waterfalls are loveky. Your rooms so clean and perfect and the people who welcome you at front desk were also lovely. Your hotel gave my friends a sanctuary to come back to after a hard day at the hospital! Overall it was good. The room was hot even though it said 60F, and would not go any lower. There were ants in the bathroom, and I was put in a noisy hallway. But you can't beat the pool and atrium view. Shelly's is also awesome.

Great hotel; beautiful pool and the restaurant is great. A nasty guest got my husband fired because there were several unattended children playing in the hallways all day and he worked nights. Wow! Otherwise it's a good hotel - leave the staff alone and don't look for freebies. It's wrong to do so and it can cost someone their job.

I'd recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the London area. The staff here are helpful, friendly and will go the extra mile to make your stay the best. Covid protocols are enforced which makes me feel safe and secure in using the facilities, if I chose to.

We were there for my brother in laws funeral, there was also players from a hockey tournament there at the same time. Kids were running around, playing hockey in the halls and making a ton of noise during the afternoon and even until 1am, we had 2 small children trying to sleep, along with my wife and I. We called front desk multiple times to deal with it as it was unacceptable. Eventually when they finally sent security to deal with it, he told my wife "i don't know what you expect me to do ma'am it's hockey season. " This was absolutely unbelievable and we had to deal with the kids and their parents multiple times to finally get them to be quiet and stop partying in the halls. I have stayed here many times in the last year and have brought my family there for no reason at all simply a night it of the house from burlington. I will never do this again, unless the hotel somehow finds a way to remedy itself from this. My in laws also stayed there and dealt with the same issues. Nobody in our family got any sleep the night after our brothers visitation and before his funeral.

Robert at the front desk was amazing! Friendly, professional, courteous and compassionate. Checked us in quickly and provided us with everything we needed. We had breakfast and our server (I wish I remembered her name), short brown hair, was amazing! She made sure we had a pleasant experience and the right meal.

Always an excellent experience. I always feel like I'm on a mini vacation in Florida. Love all the real palm trees and plants around the pool. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel. The pool is spectacular and the rooms overlooking the pool are our favourite. The staff is exceptional. Helpful, polite and caring. We were staying there to visit the hospital across the street which in itself is very stressful, but this hotel made our trip so nice.

This is a great place to stay for families, but I would not recommend it for anyone who is looking for a quiet, relaxing atmosphere. The swimming pool is always busy, with kids playing and splashing. There was a hockey tournament group staying there at the same time as us, with many kids running around (including outside the rooms at night). This was fine for us, since we also have kids and are used to the noise, but others might find it annoying. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast at Shelby's was delicious, with generous portions.

We had to stay in London due to health issues and the best Western just made one part of the trip easier. It was easy to call and make a reservation. The restaurant was delicious. The staff are super nice. The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Huge bed, lots of space. Mini fridge as we brought some bottled water. Just overall great. We'll be coming back soon.

Our family stayed here for a mini getaway and were impressed with the overall facility. Wish we had known the waterslide was broken, but glad pool was open! A/C problems in room were dealt with quickly

We met with family for the weekend to celebrate my grandsons 8th birthday. We were disappointed we were not told the waterslide and hot tub would be closed or that there was a wedding during Saturday afternoon and the pool would be closed.

This was our first 1 night get away in a decade. In the middle of the night my husband was woken with a bug crawling on him in the bed. Although they have every right to make their way indoors, my husband started looking around the sheets to see if there were more. He found a ton of little hairs left in the sheets. He spoke to reception but they said the manager wasn't in. They didn't even offer new sheets. Instead, she said she could come look for more buga for us...my husband declined because it felt strange. We missed breakfast by sleeping in after being up half the night dealing with the bed issues and nothing was provided in-lieu. Overall not worth the money and dirty. Won't be returning. What a disappointment.

This place has been the greatest in the past, and I hope one day we will have a great experience again. The pool is mismanaged, there's angry people waiting for the pool along the sides staring down everyone in the pool. They gave us wrong information leading us to lose our spots all the while they said we are a go for our time slot. Didnt get any help at all. It was just an oh well type of answer from management. If that wasn't annoying enough, I had to realize the hard way housekeeping didn't fill up the dispensers in the shower. Making me wonder what the cleaning policies really are, if a housekeeper properly cleaned that shower , I'm sure they would have noticed the empty dispenser. This is during a pandemic, I shouldn't be wondering if things are getting cleaned, it should be obvious.

We actually live 5 minutes away from this hotel property, but through Covid, we have made this our getaway/break destination. The hotel follows health and safety protocols, and we feel very safe. The pool is pristine and they limit the amount of people who are in at a time, so you can social distance. Restaurant is good too. Rooms are nice.

This hotel has always been our favorite in the area as the price is reasonable, the pool is AMAZING and the rooms are comfortable. This time around, we ran into a pretty serious medical issue and had to to go the hospital across the street. The staff at the front was so accommodating, giving us one less thing to worry about. They did everything in their power to make a stressful and depressing situation comfortable and allowed us to focus on the worries of the health of my family instead of getting out on time. I will never stay anywhere else in London. Best Western Lamplighter is the best! Comfortable rooms, an amazing pool and they don't gouge you on price.

Beautiful large room and very clean. I was impressed with the large indoor pool with real palm trees and a frosted glass ceiling. Friendly and competent lifeguards. Incredibly well-kept property. I would definitely return The next time I am in London.

Our family and friends loved our visit to the hotel. Very clean, great price, comfortable rooms and beds. The coolest pool inside a hotel that I've ever seen. All the staff were friendly and polite. The kids (ages 9-16) loved their pool time, multiple times each day, and loved exploring the atrium and fish pond. The hotel room doors open into an alcove so no traffic noise from the main hallway. We had a balcony overlooking the indoor pool so the grown ups could sit and chat after the children went to bed. Loved the 4 queen size pillows on each bed. There was a sink and makeup area separate from the bathroom which is great. Lots of parking near the entrances to each side of the hotel.

I got cheated by being given an an expensive room. Clerk said that the less expensive rooms were given out, as the posting lot was excessively empty! And then we were cheated even more on the discount when applied!

Took a little getaway trip to London and chose this hotel. Excellent reception as I had booked through Expedia and had a room in the west wing. I noticed they had rooms overlooking the pool and the manager came over and set us up. Only $10 more than what I had booked. Room was nice and clean and the view of the atrium and pool was great. Strong wifi in the room and each bed had 4 pillows of different firmness. We had a nice breakfast in the attached restaurant.. would of been nice to be included in the stay. All staff were very friendly and would recommend this place to stay.

Tried this hotel complex was very nice needed a few upgrades but overall would recommend this hotel found it was quiet at night and centrally located minutes off the highway but not near the highway and the way the hotel is designed I heard absolutely no road noise a definite would stay again

The rooms are huge and incredibly clean. The hotel itself was amazing with a pool area like no other. Attached restaurant was very good. Front desk staff went out of their way to make my stay a great one.

we stayed for one night. Everything was amazing. It felt like being at a resort. The rooms were clean, check in was easy. The slide was not open in the pool area when we were there. We were able to use the pool you just had to book a 45 min time slot Would love to come again when everything is fully opened in the pool area

Stay was very comfortable. Met my needs. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was decent. Towels were not the best - very scratchy. Other than that, the stay was just fine. Close to amenities, pool looked fantastic, kids would love it!!

The front desk staff were great. The room was well prepared and exactly what we reserved. The only downside to our stay was our experience at the hotels restaurant. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and the food was only lukewarm when we finally got it. This may have been due to a short staff situation but if it was, sadly, it fell on our first day. We didn't take the chance of eating there again during our stay to see if it was a one off situation.

It has been over two years since our last visit to this wonderful hotel (thanks to the Pandemic) and it was just as nice as it was before! The room was very clean, the cleaning staff was very helpful, and as always the front desk staff was great and very accommodating. Book your pool times as soon as you can though because the swims are for forty-five minutes a time slot (they need fifteen minutes in between swim times to clean) because they fill up quickly.

I only stayed for one night after a wedding, and I booked a room that was super fancy, simply for the sake that I would probably never need to stay over in London, ON again since it's pretty close to home. The room super exceeded my expectations, as the pictures for the room are so vague. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was beautiful! I booked a room with a jacuzzi since the hot tub isn't open because of COVID, and I would say it was worth the price. If that's something you are REALLY wanting, like I was, I would say BOOK A ROOM WITH A JACUZZI. The had so many toiletries available, as well as bath robes. The little details of the room, such as the toilet paper being folded, just made the room so homey! The room was also super clean and that made me feel great about my stay, especially with COVID.

The Lamplighter Inn in London Ontario by far is one of the most pleasant places to stay! Super clean, beautiful rooms, excellent food with room service! If you are thinking about it all I can say is BOOK IT!!

Excellent place to have a quiet and relaxing getaway. Close to shopping and other entertainment with a good restaurant and other restaurants nearby. Very clean and the pool area is well kept.The rooms are well laid out and contain all necessities and more. My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay as always

Despite covid things we liked, the rooms were clean, beds comfortable pillows great. I loved that you had to make an appointment for the pool. We watched them sanitize all touch points between guests. The restaurant was great, food was such big portions no way you could ever finish them. A child forgot her toothbrush, no problem. Front desk had ones for free. Worth every penny. Ya we could have stayed places cheaper, but this hotel I will always bring my children to. Worth noting, close to the hospital. So expect sirens to the hospital and the occasional helicopter.

The Lamplighter Inn is such a fun place to stay for our family. Even with COVID the stay is very enjoyable with the pool being opened and it is close drive to every activity we wanted to do. We will for sure be going here again.

Hotel staff is very friendly and accommodating. We originally were going to stay in a regular room but I requested a change to stay in a room that faces the atrium pool area. There was only one room left which was behind the water slide so you can't see each room perfectly but it was still good enough for us especially with the last minute change. We really enjoyed the access directly to the pool area from our hotel room! Because of covid-19 you have to book your 45 minute swims with the lifeguard we booked three separate times our child had a blast swimming. Atrium pool area is absolutely beautiful with real plants real palm trees it is very well maintained and very clean. The washroom facilities by the pool are very clean also. Unfortunately during our stay the water slide and hot tub were not available but it did not put a damper on how much fun we had swimming. The atrium has a gorgeous huge Skylight as a sun peers in while you swim and it's lit up beautifully at night for night swims. No drinking or eating is permitted near pool but, if you have a balcony you can enjoy at your room balcony while people watching at the pool. All the kids seem to enjoy the cool waterfall at the pool. Our hotel room was very clean and very comfortable plenty of hot water for your shower the beds are amazingly comfortable with copious amounts of large body style pillows. In the shower there is a little pump station for shampoo conditioner and body wash for convenience and extra little shampoos and lotions all around the bathroom as well. The only thing missing is a clothesline or a hook to hang your wet bathing suits on. Ladies I must tell you the blow dryer in this room was amazing there's nothing worse than having some small garbage blow dryer on the wall that doesn't work this one was fantastic!! A good quality blow dryer LOL we have long hair in this family so this is something that is a must. All of the towels and bed linens smell absolutely fresh and are impeccable. There is a great size fridge in the room and they did say if you need a microwave, you can request it. The hotel lobby and hallways are renovated and beautiful looking. We did have dinner at Shelly's restaurant which is located inside the hotel it was a nice convenience. We only had burgers but they were good our child had a Kids meal which was cute it came with ice cream and a drink. I have heard that the food is good at this restaurant though. The only thing I was disappointed about is the sign out front says they have fish tacos and a burger/side and beer special. Only to find out in the restaurant that special is only on Mondays is something we were looking forward to. The sign should be updated to show the day of the week for the food specials. The waitress who was actually the bartender didn't know anything about the burger side and beverage special that was on the sign out front then she asked the chef about the Taco special and unfortunately they did not accommodate the fish taco request that is not on the menu. Not the end of the world did not affect our stay. We stayed in room 141 on August 17 for 1 night. We wish we would've booked two nights. There are some rooms that have balconies facing the pool atrium area but you cannot access the pool from that area. Our room is #141 on ground level facing the waterside ( not a perfect view, but it was a last minute change) and rock formation and our sliding Hotel door goes right out to the pool area. I think it is best to book through the hotel so they can direct you to the right wing to book in If you wanted the Atrium view. Because of social distancing in covid-19 you have to go down some stairs the lifeguard area to sign in for swimming (easy to do) and then when you exit the pool you have to leave your towels at the pool area so for parents out there I say just bring a little robe for your kids so they don't get chili when they leave the pool area. The only thing we found a little tricky was getting around the hotel because there are so many different little wings. Again back to the comfortable beds I don't want to leave because it's so comfortable. This would be a great family stay or even during the cold Winters somewhere to get away. We will definitely be back!

Front desk was very helpful and understanding regarding my medical condition and purpose of visit, accompanied by family. Bathroom layout was a bit odd. Toilet was small. Lighting was a bit too dark in the anteroom/sitting room. Two TVs were a nice touch. Air conditioning was not operating in top shape. In-house restaurant was excellent. Hotel was on a main north-south road (Wellington) and many restaurants and other businesses were situated all along this road. I was only about 15 minutes south of University Hospital.

I had reserved a suite for a family of five 4 weeks before we were going to be in the area and as I was checking in they gave me a small room that did not sleep 5 people comfortably. When I asked about my room that I had reserved they said they were full for the weekend and didn't even give an explanation on how I could not get the room I had reserved 4 weeks prior

An absolute amazing stay. Team went above and beyond all expectations. Clean and comfortable beds. Best pillows EVER! I will definitely be back. Without kids next time. Thanks again team your amazing.

We enjoyed our stay, wish we could of stayed longer, the room was great, pool was great even though we couldn't use hot tub or water slide. It was in a great area to get to alot of things that we wanted to do.

We booked this hotel for our anniversary in hopes that it would have a resort style feel and accommodations. I'm happy to say it did not disappoint us in the least. We had a fabulous time in and around the hotel grounds and local area. The covid cleanliness standards were highly adhered to and we personally witness the wiping and sanitizing of touch surfaces throughout the hotel. The pool experience was excellent. From the accommodating am and pm schedules, with standby times alloted for guests who liked extra pool time to the wonderful staff who ensured our experience was enjoyable. They closed the pool every 45 minutes to sanitize the entire pool area, equipment and touch surfaces, which pleased us that they really do comply and take seriously all health and safety standards for their guests. We had a wonderful guest experience and inadvertently met the owner while waiting to be seated at their restaurant called Shelly's. He approached us to ask if we had been helped yet. He was genuinely concerned with our experience and we thought that was quite nice of him to stop before leaving for the day and ask. We definitely will be booking this hotel again very soon.

The hotel was very clean and staff were polite and professional. Too bad the slide is at the pool is still closed, but the pool is great and the entry well managed, not too busy. Overall positive experience and we are planning to return in the winter.

The room was spacious and clean. The balcony was awesome, we had a great view of the pool area and it gave the night away a resort feel. The large fridge in the room was a nice to change to the small fridges you usually find in hotel rooms.

We always have an amazing time at the Lamplighter Inn. It's a great family escape, with the pool, water slide, and games area. It is also a nice romantic getaway destination, with lots of great jacuzzi tub and fireplace rooms.

My son and I spent two days at the Best Western and are already planning our return trip. The pool is amazing and we are looking forward to them opening the slide. Staff were all very friendly and especially Sam at the pool, he was extremely helpful and friendly. Overall, a great stay, only issue was dinner from the onsite restaurant. Ordered room service and the food was absolutely atrocious, almost inedible, and crazy expensive. We will not be eating there again so it does not affect our next stay. It is a very well run hotel and I completely recommend it for a family vacation.

This hotel is like having a florida vacation in ontario with all the real palm trees and beautiful pool and retractable roof. The staff are all friendly and the hotel manager is out of this world with being helpful when needed

It has a huge swimming pool in the atrium with palm trees and water slide. It s great for kids, unfortunately due to covid the pool was closed when I was there. I had an atrium view room with a balcony. The property has a large parking lot, a nice on site restaurant and another one within walking distance. My room was clean and comfortable however a little outdated, which didn't bother me but some picky people would whine. My suite was a little over $125.00 which was a bargain.

Another Excellent stay at this hotel. I am very pleased with the cleanliness of this hotel, there was always staff that were cleaning the main areas. Room was very clean as well, bed was comfortable and Internet worked very good too.

We love the pool at this location! The rooms are generally clean and comfortable. The food isn't terrible either. I don't think there's a better place to stay in London! The location is convenient and the staff is friendly. This is our home away from home.

This is our go-to hotel when in London, ON. We stay here at least once a year. The stay this time was a bit disappointing through no fault of the hotel's - it was the Covid regulations that killed access to facilities we normally enjoy.

Staff at the hotel went that extra mile to help us deal with the complexities of a hospital stay. the food was amazing, the flexibility of service was very helpful. The room size and decor /layout suited our needs.

My father had to have cancer surgery and his surgery was early morning. With covid stay at home orders we could not go into hospital and did not know what to do (my mother is 79). So we went to hotel at 9:30 am and they amazingly gave us early check in - for that we are so grateful! They also gave us late check out and there was no extra charge! Hotel was spotless and we had booked an atrium view - so worth it!! Even though we couldn't use pool it was so beautiful to sit on balcony and enjoy the view. Our stay was just perfect - all employees very helpful and kind thank you!

We enjoyed are mini 2 night vacation while we where getting are 3 bedrooms painted in our house. The front desk check in was easy and staff where friendly . The rooms where clean . The only thing we hope next time when we stay that the pool will be open .

Needed to use the hotel for an overnight stay as had an early morning appt at the hospital nearby. So impressed with the lovely room, Exceptional cleaning procedures, beautiful overall appearance of the hotel, and beautiful pool area. Unfortunately due to Covid, the extra amenities were not open, but it is obvious that would be really enjoyable. Kind, courteous, efficient staff, super quiet in the room. Bed very comfortable. All in all, very nice stay. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about this property and its team! Booked in for a three nights and added a fourth. Our family had been here over 20 years ago, so I was a bit concerned of what I would find, but I was shocked and delighted to find it looking fresh, new and really lovely...not dated at all! My stay brought back great family memories. If you're looking for a getaway, family or otherwise, this is the place for you. If you are in town for hospital stays and visits, this hotel will lift you spirits. You cannot beat the tropical paradise feeling of the Atrium (palm trees and waterfalls), the helpful and friendly staff, delicious restaurant or the diligent safety protocols this place has to offer. This was always our family's winter go-to spot, but trust me, it's great any time of the year, no matter the reason you find yourself in London! Enjoy!

Staying here for work. Working midnights and the room next to me was very loud, front desk promptly moved me to a quieter section of the hotel! Perfect. No issues at all, everyone very friendly and accommodating. Been ordering room service. Food is delicious and beds are comfortable, fluffy pillows and lots of blankets which I like. TV selection could be better. The bathroom has a shower and a tub! Wish I could use the pool and other facilities because I have a nice view from my room, but everything is closed because of the shutdown. Plan on coming back with my family to enjoy the hotel to the fullest, whenever possible.

I was in London for a medical procedure and I cannot say enough about the staff.....This staff was exceptional and exceeded my greatest expectations. The staff were caring, patient, helpful and most importantly, were professional. I would highly recommend the Lamplighter Inn.....And a huge thank you to all the staff during my short visit!!!

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Nice feature of the room is the separate sink area was a nice feature. Staff very friendly and the pool area is beautiful. The food at the restaurant within the hotel was very tasty and the service was very quick.

This hotel offers great value for your vacation dollar, and makes an overnight feel like a true get away even if you don't leave town.

My granddaughter has been bugging us about wanting to go swimming-We called the Lamplighter asking if the pool was open, they advised us yes but by appointment only-which worked out perfect. The hotel is very clean-always someone cleaning the stairs rails and glass-The rooms are very clean, no smells-they only have what you need in the room. Super awesome staff

Love this hotel and the pool. Room service was an awesome option. The rooms are very dark with with drawn curtains and we slept in. That was awesome. The staff made sure we had two room beside each other as we wanted the kids to have their own fun.

Having a sick child is hard enough on the easy days so when we have to be away from home for medical appts we are beyond grateful accommodations where we feel safe given the current times. We ❤️ BWLL.

We stayed in one of the King Suites with a balcony overlooking the atrium. It was beautiful. The sounds of the waterfall, watching the fish in the pond and the warm air made us feel like we were away on vacation somewhere tropical. At night the pool and atrium were all light up filling the air with calm serenity. We absolutely cannot wait to visit again. The room and hotel was very clean! There was no musty smell and we could see someone sanitizing everywhere we went. From the front counter at check-in, to the railings and plant pots in the atrium to hallways. The bed was super comfortable with very fluffy pillows. There were 4 pillows on the bed plus extras packaged, ready to use in the drawers along with an extra blanket if we required it for the sofa bed. This is by far one of our favourite hotels we have ever stayed at. Clean, friendly and a welcoming environment. We were told by the front counter employee, Justin that they open the roof of the atrium in the summertime. We will definitely be back to experience the atrium while gazing at the stars! Thank you, Lamp Lighter Inn for a remarkable experience!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The pool area is relaxing and the kids had a great time, even enjoyed the jetted tub in their room. The cleanliness, service, friendly staff and the atmosphere are why I stay.

Staff amazing and very helpful. Love the pool. Could be a slightly bit warmer. Look forward to the hot tub opening up .we tell our friends about the great times we have. We have not tried the food there but will next time.

We had a balcony facing the pool so it felt like we were in the tropics. The bed and pillows were super comfy. The room was clean Everything was being cleaned to meet protocol. Overall a lovely experience and affordable

We stay @ this hotel to use the pool for the kids during Covid-19 as all other activities for children in our cities currently shutdown. Of particular one staff member (Lifeguard Sam) has been able to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining Covid-19 protocol keeping the wife, kids & myself happy & having fun. Cleanly environment, great atmosphere. Wouldn't suggest any other hotel in the city of London.

The atrium and the pool area is really good for the kids especially in the winter time. Very warm indoors overall which helps to forget about the snow storm outside. Found hair that was clearly not mine in the sheets and the jacuzzi, the kind that makes you gag. Rooms are nice but starting to show there age.

Very clean, friendly staff and affordable rate. All staff followed covid sanitizing cleaning schedules and the hotel was extremely clean. Pool closed due to pandemic but still kept up and looked wonderful!

The lamplighter Inn is a hidden gem in London and surrounding area. The pool area is resort quality with a water slide, water falls, pool, surrounding gardens, palm trees, waterfall that flows into a koi pond. The rooms are all spacious with very comfortable beds. Some rooms face the interior with the sunroof and pool area which is nice. The on-site restaurant is good quality and it provides the hotel room service as well. Definitely worth a stay.

I have stayed at the Lamplighter many times. It has been a Christmas tradition for the past 6 years. This was the first time staying during a pandemic. Even though the hot tub and water slide were closed and there was no room service, it was still a great stay! The staff was working hard to keep everything clean and sanitized and the service was super - as usual.

We have stayed at the Best Western Lamplighter in the past and always find the facility and staff to be great. Did not use the pool facility this time but we know it is one of the best. During these times they go beyond what's required to make you feel welcome and safe.

From the helpful and cordial check in/out staff, to the beautiful room, to the nicest pool we've found in our many hotel stays, this hotel (twice visited in 3 weeks) is our pick of all times. Only thing missing was palm trees, sandy beaches, and constant 88 degree climate outside!

just wanted to get away for a night with our grand daughter. entire staff was great and pool staff did a great job to get us an enjoyable experience. the pool was sanitized every hour and physical distancing was easy

I stayed with my daughter one night as she had a skate competition early the next day. The staff were really friendly and the room was amazing! I booked late and had to book a suite, it was pretty pricey, but the room was really nice! I didn't like that it was close to the corridor, so it was pretty loud most of the night. It seems like people were coming in and out the whole night. The pool and waterslide area was perfect and the restaurant attached was delicious.

I stayed here with my daughter for an upcoming hospital visit. Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean with great amenities. I wish we would have been able to take advantage of the pool or restaurant, but our visit was pretty short. Definitely looking forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

The staff were friendly from checking in to checking out. The rooms were beautifully cleaned. The beds were so comfortable. We needed a few things that we forgot to bring and they helped us out. You could see workers going around the hotel doing Pandemic cleaning continuously all day. We didn't use the pool. This is the place to go in London, Ontario

This place is family friendly. Staff made us feel welcome and safe. Food was wonderful. Beautiful decorated. We felt we were definitely someplace special. We had a wonderful weekend. We will come back again.

Excellent property with an astounding indoor water park / pool. Handy location just off Hwy 401. Cleanliness and room design / corridor architecture was above average. Front desk staff were particularly courteous and helpful.

This is another of our 'go to' Best Western Hotels,when we visit London.We wouldn't stay anywhere else.Its central for everything and we love having a restaurant right there on site.Friendly staff and very helpful.Housekeeping are doing an amazing job of keeping the rooms clean and sanitized for guests.Thank you,once again, Lamplighter!

My family and I were told about London, Ontario's "Stay a Little Longer" promotion which got us a second night free. It was a lot of fun! I felt safe throughout the building. Our room was really nice. Shelly's restaurant had some great breakfast food, we hit up a local burger place for lunch, had a hike nearby, and ordered in while watching TV for dinner. The pool was obviously the highlight for the kids. We were able to book 2 45 minute sessions a day (COVID protocols were in place to limit the amount of people in the pool).

The room was amazing. Jacuzzi tub & separate shower. My husband loved the seat in the shower. Beautiful renovation to the whole building. Dinner in the restaurant that night was very good. Generous portions. We took our dessert back to our room. Social distancing was in effect. There weren't many people in the restaurant so we got a small room to ourselves.

We had an atrium room with a patio. Very nice. Room was clean and in good repair. We stayed during the COVID pandemic. The hotel has taken great steps to keep every one safe. Staff do not enter your room. Supplies are brought to the room when you need them- in a plastic bag

Necessary, last minute travel. This location was perfect, room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Food in restaurant was excellent. Staff was extremely friendly, attentive and very professional. Would stay there again.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at the BW Lamplighter Inn, in London, ON recently. I stayed in the 1 Queen bed suite, which was an excellent choice for me. A perfect set up with the desk and outlets for my laptop and the couch was very comfortable for tv watching. The bathroom had a beautiful step in shower with a seat and a full size tub too. Lots of plug ins and USB outlets, mirrors, amenities etc. All in all great stay!

Had surgery at St Joseph Health Care, my wife stayed here then I spent the night following my surgery. The staff could not have treated us better including the manager helping us with a wheelchair and pushing me all the way to our car the next morning. Very clean rooms and very caring and accommodating staff.

Very nice hotel and I loved the room I was in. The bed was soooo comfortable and I loved that it as a split level room. We had a patio door that looked down at the pool and you could walk right out into the atrium, The staff are friendly and efficient.

Great place. Nice pool, efficient staff. Clean and bright. Only negative (if you can call it a negative) .....we ordered breakfast: Belgian waffle (huge!) and pancakes (huge!) and they were too big!!!

This is a beautiful hotel, as a Best Western, probably one of the nicest i've stayed in. Beautiful atrium with pool surrounded by balconied rooms. The thing that really stood out for me is the level of cleanliness, very clean rooms and common areas. Wifi was a bit slow and breakfast is not included as most other BW's, but there is an on site restaurant with decent breakfast special pricing.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and really enjoyed it. It was very clean, the staff was courteous and helpful and the atrium was beautiful. It almost felt like we were down south on vacation. We highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great family hotel ... we have stayed a few times ... this mini vacation was just my husband our grandson and myself ... things are different because of the covid virus but things are different everywhere ... upon arriving and registering with Josh who was very helpful and informative ... lots of hand sanitizing spots ... our room was clean and sanitized ... the pool schedule was great and it was not too busy so we were allowed extra swim times ... pool area was clean and sanitized every hour ... this hotel is truly very beautiful and tropical and staff were very friendly and helpful ... we will be back for another holiday Thank You Josh !!!

room was very clean and they are extensively cleaning the rooms after you leave and then leaving them to sit for 24 hours - staff was very friendly - you have to book a pool time and there was only 20 allowed in the pool - felt safe and clean -

My wife and I and our 3 boys stayed here from Aug 21 to Aug 23, 2020. Kerri was very friendly when i checked in and very professional. Our stay was awesome and enjoyed it very much. Room was very clean and also got to swim each day we were there too. The housekeeping staff was very nice and professional too. My family will definately stay again and will recommend this hotel to everyone we know. This was our second time staying at this hotel and will come back again. Close to so many different place to eat and shop at. Price was a little high but service and staff was very professional. The Irvin Family

Josh at check in was fantastic. Very happy with room and our stay. We had a king suite so our teenage boys had their own space which was nice. We will definitely stay again when we return to London. Close enough to nearby restaurants and shopping to walk.

Quick check in and check out. The room was clean and sanitized. The only issue I had with the room is the fridge was not working properly. There was ice built up in the back and needed to be defrosted. It was not keeping the drinks cold.

During the pandemic it is expected to have limited services. The hotel staff explain at check-in that times for the pool have to be booked. However, guest should at least have two 45mins slots. This is not true. Expect to have no access to the pool during your stay. It is open but the restrictions make it impossible to book a time to swim.

I recently stayed at the Lamplighter Inn with my daughter and I was very impressed with everything. Everything was so clean and the staff was wonderful. We liked it so much that we have already made plans to go back again very soon.

Stayed here last week. Customer service excellent as usual with all the necessary COVID precautions in place. Limited facilities, no hot tub, no exercise room, however was able to make a reservation to use pool. Hotel Restuarant was open but ate outside next door at Crabby Joes. Would give hotel a 5 but for lack of amenities due to COVID. Recommend to everyone...still a great hotel.

We were overall pleased with our first time stay. Check in was quick and simple. The self serve checkout was easy to follow. Our room was on the first floor atrium side. I had booked a queen suite with jetted tub. We liked how the sitting area was sunken down from the sleeping and bathroom area. The door entrance area is unique compared to a typical hotel. We found the hotel clean overall. The atrium and pool area are pretty cool. We did not utilize the pool facilities on this trip but look forward to using them on a future trip. The reason for only giving 4 stars are for 2 reasons. First, we had looked into getting an in room movie and were shocked at the $24.99 price tag. Secondly, when I turned on the jets in the tub a chunk of matted hair shot out. It was quite gross. I brought it to the front desk attention prior to our departure and am satisfied with how it was handled. Despite the hair incident we would return in the future.

Beautiful hotel, comfortable bed and quiet. Enjoyed beautiful pool area a few times (booked swim time), as well as delicious lunch, dinner and breakfast meals. Amazing TV in room too, and great view off of balcony, overlooking pool and atrium area. The bathroom was a little small, but it had a walk-in shower and also a bathtub.

Great staff!! Went out of their way to help us. Room met expectations. Food was excellent, plentiful and reasonably priced. Easy to book online and we received the type of room that I had booked. Would definitely recommend!

We needed a place to stay for the night as we were planning on hitting the beach the following day. A friend who lives in London recommended we check it out and let me say we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was extremely helpful, clean/modern and the pool (water slide was not open) was a huge hit. We felt we were at a resort somewhere! We plan on going back and staying a couple of days now! Highly recommended.

I spent the evening at this hotel On June 20th, and upon entry was greeted with COVID-19 triage, temp testing and kind and welcoming reception of the Manager Ken and his fellow staff. The Manager accommodated our request for a specific room, offered any possible assistance he could to make our stay its finest. Most critically important, was how intensely the rooms are being sanitized. The staff is wearing head to toe PPE and doing intense cleans upon exit of each guest. As seen in the photo attached all linens and pillows are in freshly sealed garment bags and it is apparent this hotel has gone the extra mile to ensure guest safety and health in such challenging times. Highly reccomend this hotel for all reasons indicated but also as a frequent guest here, I can guarentee your stay will be consistently a good one!

I would encourage all guests to acknowledge the HIGHEST degree of ammenity given rise to a very clean, accomodating property the whole staff is there to ACCOMODATE in a pleasing, respectful atmosphere , take the goodness as THE ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE

Upon arrival they had the luggage cart ready and helped us remove suitcases from trunk and then they removed our luggage and placed them where we wanted them in the room. Requested handicap room and one was provided. They even gave me a complimentary bath no skid mat. We ate in our room instead of the restaurant for convenience The food was fantastic. Delicious and large portions. The fridge came in handy for left overs. The staff could not have treated us any more royally. They were polite, courteous, prompt and extremely helpful. There is a very large pool with an enormous waterfall at one end. The restaurant was inviting and staff was very helpful. I am coming back to London shortly and will definitely stay at this Best Western Plus Lamplighter Inn & Conference Centre. This trip was for medical tests preformed at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Was so pleased with the high quality service provided by Best Western Lamplighter Inn. Was there to support a family member who needed surgery at a nearby hospital during COVID-19. The restaurant was closed but room service was available and the owner paid for all of us to have 2 quality meals a day during our entire stay there! We were so grateful and the staff were nothing but exceptional! Will definitely be staying there again!

The staff is so friendly and courteous. The overall experience every single time we stay here has been exceptional, could not ask for better service from anywhere. My wife and I would rather come here than go even to a tropical island.

We do this as our Christmas gift to our seven grandchildren and invite their parents to attend as well. All the staff was great from check in to check out. Everyone had a wonderful time in the pool, the slide, the games room, workout room. All very nice. Planning on year 3 in 2021.

I booked this hotel for my business trip in London thinking it's like any average BW I usually go to. This was like a mini resort with nice rooms and beautiful interiors. The rooms were clean and the service I received from all the hotel staff was great. This is my new favorite hotel.

Location is great if you must be in London. Common areas are very nice. Rooms are clean but very dated, furniture appears to be 20+ years old. Service is terrible though. Staff is not overly friendly or accommodating. We requested 1 hour extra for our checkout time and were told very firmly that our request was denied. Keep in mind that our checkout date was on a Sunday in March, hardly peak season. We remained at the restaurant and I know (by checking) that our room had not been cleaned by noon, which would have been the late checkout time. We were there as part of a large group for a basketball tournament, had small children with us, and were paying $220 per night (including taxes) for a room that is hardly worth that amount. Apparently that was a discounted rate also, which I find laughable.

this hotel was clean and well maintained from the front desk to the back door and everything in between. The staff was outstanding and our room was well maintained...we requested a walk out room by the pool and they made sure that was what we got. very very please with the hotel. it had been about 15 years since we were there and we will definately go back...it is calle the "BEST" Western Lamplighter Inn for a very good reason.

Our family of 10 stayed in London Ont. and the hotel and amenities were fine. At check out there was a 4% mat added to my bill.(municipal accomodation tax). This is imposed by the city, and apparently non refundable by the hotel. Had I been aware of this, it would have influenced our desicien to spend my disposable income in a place that actually wants tourists.

We only spent one night at this hotel but enjoyed it very much. Our 6 year old had a blast, especially enjoyed the tower slide and the pool. Our was overlooking the pool area, definitely worth the extra $$. We had dinner & breakfast at their adjoining restaurant, the food was very tasty and reasonably priced. We will definitely come back with more family members & friends.

Great place to get away from the cold! Fun for the kids, close to London attractions. A good place to get together with friends and family for the weekend. I recommend a room the has Direct pool level access so you sit around enjoying both your room and the pool area, so that snacks and drinks are close at hand.

I travel a lot for work and frequently stay at Best Western hotels. The Lamplighter is by far the nicest one I've stayed in. The atmosphere and quality of the rooms was very classy. As a platinum member I received a room upgrade - very pleased with it!

We stayed at the Best Western during the Family day weekend, and we can not say enough about it. It was a truly enjoyable experience. We had 5 rooms booked for family and friends, and everyone was so nice and accommodating. This was our 4th year at this hotel, and we will certainly be back for a 5th year.

Took our kids for a mid week night away and we had a great time! Hotel is very nice inside ans super clean. Hqd a great time in the pool both days. Love the tropical theme of the pool area. Will definitely be coming back again

We stayed 2 nights w/ my family during our short shops at outlet in London. Kids enjoy the pool and slides. Staff is amazing. Place is close to resto and mall. Clean and well organized room. I'm very particular w/ bathroom every time on my trip & this hote never dis appoint me.

Great hotel and value. Checking in was quick, rooms spacious and clean. Pool was a hit with the kids. Loved the convenience of the restaurant attached to the hotel. Would return to this hotel in the future.

This was a great overnight getaway. We wanted an overnight getaway for my daughter's birthday so we came to the Lamplighter because a friend mentioned how he loved it when he went. The room was great and clean. It overlooked the pool and we could walk straight out and into the pool area through sliding doors. One thing most hotels with pools don't get right is the temperature but this hotel had it perfect. The temperature in the pool area was warm, the pool water was warm too. I never really felt like I couldn't just wade in.The pool was the most important thing for me because that was specifically why we went there and we weren't disappointed. Even the waterslide was the perfect length and thrill for my 9 year old daughter. You have to be 4' though so my 6 year old couldn't use it but she wasn't bothered by it anyway. PROS - Great pool area as mentioned above. - Room was on the 100 level so we could walk right out the living room area of the room through sliding doors and down to the pool without having to take elevators etc.It also had a little patio area outside the room for us to chill in while the kids slept or for the kids to read in the morning. - Restaurant onsite was great value for the breakfast. Our family at for $30 before tax. Kids meals were $5.99 so very appropriately priced. My wife and I got the special which was like $8 each and was large for that price. - Area around the hotel had a lot of stores etc so I could go to Starbucks in the morning in a couple of minutes. There was also a pizza place called Pizza Tonite around the corner that was decent. CONS - Not really but just things to keep in mind - I think the hotel is a popular place to stay for hockey teams and they were definitely there when we were. It was a bit busy in the pool area at times (but not too crowded) but when the team(s) had a game it emptied out. By 8p-830pthe games for the day must have been over and it got pretty rambunctious in the pool, but we had our fill so we were out by then. Anyway, just something to be mindful of. - Room. This is not a fault of the hotel at all, but again just be mindful. We booked through Hotwire, and got a room for a family. There were two beds but one bed is a pull out couch. Not a big deal as we have kids to sleep on the couch, but something to keep in mind. If you are booking through the hotel, and picking your room, this wouldn't be a surprise, but again just something to keep in mind. All in all, I would highly recommend the Lamplighter. My kids can't wait to go back and we will be telling others to come with us next time.

My daughter and I stayed here the place was fun, its clean and we had a great experience. My only complaint was that the door to our room rattled whenever someone opened their door. The staff were all friendly. The room service was great and the pool!!! My daughter was a prune! The water was warm, the water was clean and clear. We will be going back next time we are in london

The Lamplight Inn offers an interior oasis that makes me feel like I've escaped to the tropics. The atrium, waterslide, lighthouse, waterfall, palm trees and lush gardens are the perfect distraction after a hectic work day to enjoy from the balcony of almost every room. Hands-down, my favourite hotel in southwest Ontario.

Our organization has held their convention at this venue for years, with our most recent one last week, and I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Sales and Catering are able to accommodate our many requirements. Every staff member goes out of their way to ensure you have an exceptional event and they meet this expectation every year. With hundreds of participants and a variety of meetings and services, the Lamplighter makes it easy to ensure it all goes off without a hitch. The service and food is outstanding and it is exceptional value for the dollars spent. We are already booked for 2021!

The amenities are amazing! If you book an atrium room you feel like you are in the tropics. The pool and palm trees are all lit up at night and looks absolutely stunning. The early bird special at Shelly's was spectacular. $15 for soup salad steak and dessert? Amazing. The waterslide is a light house.

The view and atmosphere of the atrium are awesome. Friendly staff throughout. The restaurant on site is a must visit. And finally a hotel that understands that good quality pillows are a must for a good night sleep.

If you are looking for a place to stay that children will enjoy, I would recommend this Hotel. We enjoyed the pool, the slide and the arcade. The only disappointing aspect was the quality of food of the attached restaurant.

This place was very clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities for kids. The atrium area with the pool is very inviting and relaxing. With the rooms by the pool area you don't have to be couped up within four walls you can sit outside your room

This hotel is awesome. Great location in London, super clean, such friendly staff. An amazing venue as well for anything, big function, wedding etc. We can't say enough good things about it and the food is great as well.

flew into toronto for a conference and pulled up to the lamplighter Inn excpecting it to be like every other hotel that conferences are hosted at. but holy crap haha it's a friggin tropical oasis in there. Ken at the front desk didn't just give me a room key he pulled out this map explaining that sometimes people get lost in the hotel when they walk into the huge palm tree filled tropical atrium. It was gorgeous and a nice break from the -40 temperatures i left in calgary for this conference. I don't often take pictures of the best western im staying at to send home and brag to my wife and kids haha but at THIS hotel i did.

We were very impressed with the Lamplighter Inn. We had one small complaint when we were there (not enough to keep us from staying again) and when I filled in the survey they requested once we got home, I heard back immediately from the manager - and it was not a form letter. I believe him when he said they would be investigating the problem in our room, and we very much appreciate his detailed reply to us. The hotel is beautiful, we were welcomed with sincere smiles and a sense of humour, the decor of our room was outstanding, and everything was spotlessly clean. We will be coming to London frequently in the next few months and, having tried several hotels in the Hospital area over the last couple of years, finally have found the one that will be our London home. Thank you to all of you at The Lamplighter who work so hard to make this an excellent hotel.

Over all great experience. The food at the onsite restaurant was not great. The pool and spa were amazing. Only thing I wish is that the pool/ spa had a few adult only hours as the screaming and running around by all the kids got to be a little much.

Enjoyable night at this hotel. Took our grandkids for a swim break over Christmas. Easy parking, hotel, room and pool very clean. Room service was fast, reasonable and the food was good. Would recommend.

Me and my husband with our two young children really enjoyed our time here. The pool is warm and shallow and the palm trees are amazing. So pretty and made me feel like I was on a vacation to some hot destination. We went on Christmas day and it was surprisingly fairly busy but that was okay because the pool is huge! We enjoyed our breakfast at the restaurant adjacent to the hotel. It was not free but the portion sizes are huge and we couldn't even finish it all.

I brought my nephews for the night as part of their xmas gift. The boys loves the pool & slide. Nice hotel. Love that the pool stays open late & is open early. Provided lots of extra blankets & pillows at check in. No concerns on this stay, would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lamplighter Inn. I am a frequent traveler who usually stays in high-end hotels, and I used to avoid Best Westerns as much as possible due to a past negative experience. My stay at the Lamplighter Inn has changed that viewpoint. Their room was nice, nothing out of the ordinary. However, their amenities were first-class. In particular, their pool was one of the best that I have used at a hotel. The games room was great, and the Fitness Center was excellent. What really blew it out of the park was their service. Amazingly fast check-in, check-out and room service. More importantly, I accidentally left my blackberry in the room when I checked-out, and the front desk and housekeeping were very helpful in getting it back to me in quick time. Highly recommend.

Visited this location for a fast business trip. I requested an early check in for 1pm and they accomodated. Hosted a small meeting in my room throughout the afternoon and then went to the restaurant for dinner. The hotel and room was clean, well appointed, nice desk, fridge, TV with HDMI plug in etc.. Very quick and friendly check out in the morning.

I planned and attended a conference at this venue and everything went smoothly. The staff were attentive and quick at responding to all requests. The conference turned out amazing and attendees loved the venue. The rooms were also very clean and cozy. No complaints!

Perfect stay. Room is clean and staff at reception is great. Not a first time for us to stay here. Great destination for spending a weekend. Will be definitely staying there again when opportunity presents itself.

We booked a suite for our 3 grandkids, and the accommodations was perfect. Two queen size beds took care of the kids, and we used the sofa bed in the living room. The sofa bed was not comfortable by any stretch of the imagination, but was okay for one night. The pool was well maintained and the staff were on the ball. Their water slide had a height restriction, so unfortunately our one grandchild was too small to use it. It was unfortunate, but glad to see that safety was first. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel, Shelly's, the kids were very happy with their kids' meal, however, the adults were not impressed with the "early bird special". You got a lot for $14.95, salad bar, main, dessert and coffee. The soup was good, salad bar had very few topping offered, but the main was disappointing. Lesson learned, you are not going to get a good ribeye steak for that price and my husband said the liver was bland and just okay. Dessert was pretty tasty. Breakfast was good, and again the kids' menu killed it. There is so much food that the adults would not need to order, just get a coffee and eat their leftovers. Overall a great time, the kids had a blast.

We have used this hotel for 18 years as a family get together at Christmas time. I travel extensively and found that the Lamplighter is one of the most reasonable in price but yet offers all the amenities of more expense properties. As well, all the staff are extremely polite and helpful. We will be back next year!

we have used best western for years when possible and have never had a bad experience. the lamplighter in london is clean spacious and friendly. I have been here for both pleasure and business. if you're there on a thursday Shelleys all you can eat ribs is a meal to remember

I stayed 2 nights at the BW Lamplighter. Service was fantastic. The staff are very friendly and reached out to ensure all was good with my stay. I booked through their website and when i arrived they noticed that i was a member of their rewards program and they upgraded me for less money than i had agreed to pay.

The staff is great. When we visit, usually for medical reasons, we are given a welcoming experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. The medical discount helps and is appreciated. The pool and slide is wonderful for my son.

This is a top drawer Best Western. Would have preferred to find a microwave in the room but apparently you can ask for one. You can purchase a Wake Up breakfast for $6.95 in Shelly's, the onsite restaurant. It is a big breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, bacon and your choice of either toast and home fries or pancakes, slice of an orange. Other breakfast options are available at higher prices.

This hotel is not very handicap accessible and the staff were not very helpful in regards to it. There were doors that I couldn't go through as they were not powered. The pool staff wouldn't help me out at all.

The kids loved the pool. We missed the waterside time but it was still fun. The pool atmosphere makes you feel like you are outside on a vacation. The excersie room has a view of the pool which is great! This hotel its always a great stay. The staff is always friendly.

A group of family members were staying at the Lamplighter while we were attending my Mom's memorial service. There were about 20 of us gathered on our first floor patio area. A couple of the Lamplighter staff (two young men) came over and offered us plates and cutlery as well as a microwave to heat up our leftovers from the memorial reception. They also brought us extra chairs and took away all of our trash at the end of the night. We were so grateful and appreciative of this gesture. Thank you!!!

The Best Western Lamplighter is a wonderful getaway for a night or two. The pool and hot tub area feel tropical and the rooms are elegant and fully stocked with bathroom toiletries. Shelly's Tap and Grill is great option for any meal. We were there for Mexican Monday and the breakfast is very filling and delicious, not greasy at all. Bathroom towels were al little crunchy.

Stayed one night as our son had a hospital visit. It was a comfortable hotel at a good price and close to the hospital. Comfortable beds and clean. Some activities such as pool, waterslide and games room for kids. I would recommend

The hotel is great, and the pool area is phenomenal (but hot if you aren't swimming!), but know they are very strict with their rules and don't offer a common lounge area. The restaurant on site is good and the kids meals are well priced.

We stayed with my husband and our two young kids for a little weekend getaway. What attracted us to the hotel was the beautiful pool and atrium area. It did not disappoint. The kids had a blast. Our oldest went on the water slide numerous times. Room, pool area and hotel in general was very clean and staff were friendly. Beds and pillows were comfortable as well.

The service was fantastic and everyone was so polite and accommodating specially when had a service dog with us the beds were very comfortable, I'm glad family members rec amended it and it was close to the Victoria Hospital.

Had a balcony king suite. It overlooked the atrium area. Felt like I was in Florida in the cold November weather. Great place for family for us to get together with family and friends. Wellington Street where the hotel is located is a very busy street but we never heard any road noise.

First off - indoor palm trees!! The water park is great for kids of all ages - its not huge, but not crowded. Rooms are comfortable. Room service is fast, high quality and very reasonably priced. We will come here again.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Hotel was filled with youth hockey teams and families which would have been nice to have identified before booking. Noise levels were high with kids running through halls. Pools and gym were packed with hockey families so couldn't use all facilities. Restaurant had great food at reasonable price.

Was very disappointed. This is a great hotel for location, pool, food and check in. For the cost and standards the hotel wasn't a great choice. When we arrived the toilet was broke taking 4 calls to get fixed. The toilet then didn't shut off and rain all night. The shower was dirty with what looked like paint spots on it. I would not recommend

The facilities and pool are REALLY nice. Rooms on the inside of the hotel have a great view of the pool and the rooms are clean. Bathroom sink is on the outside of the bathroom... funny. Pillows are very high so a bunch of us had sore necks. No outside food can be eaten in common areas and NO playing in the hall. Security at night is very strict and no kids walking in the hall allowed after 9:30. If you can, try and book one of their 2 rooms available if you're going as a group. They do not offer meeting rooms for groups to use to confine the kids to one area.

My husband and I booked a night away to celebrate our anniversary. We chose this hotel for its amenities and location. We had a wonderful time. Our room overlooked the Atrium and we were able to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. The room was well proportioned and very well maintained. We will definitely return again.

Despite unfortunate circumstances ( my daughter is in hospital in London), i have thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms are clean and the staff I have had the pleasure to speak with have been very kind and helpful. I love the tropical temperature around the pool area and I can enjoy it from my balcony as well. I would absolutely stay here again.

This was the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in, the atrium and pool area were beautiful and clean, lots of pool towels even later at night. The room was clean, beds were very comfortable. Didn't get a chance to use the longe as we got there late.

Check in was fast, the room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The pool area is awesome. They even send you a text message checking in with you to make sure you're having a great stay. That feature was awesome. Would definitely recommend.

We recently held a conference at this site.The service and accommodations were great. They were fine with our last minute requests to room set-up. The staff were quite friendly and accomodating. We had a few participants who were vegetarians and requested some restrictions to their meals. The kitchen staff were made aware and made the necessary to those meals. Overall experience was great, I would recommend this site to others.

Stayed at Best Western, Wellington Rd., London, ON, Canada for a conference. Made the reservation directly with hotel and found staff extremely accommodating throughout. Room was in a quiet location and suited our needs. A good restaurant was connected with the hotel so no need to go off site after checking in. I would recommend this location for anyone visiting London's south end.

You just won't find a better place for a funtction where poeple go out of their way to make sure things are right. If you are in town for business you are a short drive from downtown but far enough away you feel very comfortable. The place is well kept and the owner's pride shines through.

The water slide was a hit for our 7 year old this year. The lifeguards made me as a mom feel confident about letting her slide. My husband enjoyed it too. I stayed in the pool with our 4 year old. I appreciate the cleanliness of the hotel including the pool area and that the rules are enforced. We are at the restaurant and the Early Bird breakfast for $7 is such a good value! Plenty of food and fast. Our girls loved the pancakes and sausage/bacon for their kids meal. Our server Peter was excellent. We had booked a King Suite and they not only were able to let us check in earlier than 3 they upgraded us to a pool view with a balcony and my girls loved that too. When we come back to London the Lamplighter is our preferred hotel.

Nice relaxing, mini staycation with palm trees. A little pricey, but overall we will go back. Pool is very clean, hot tub is nice. Love the plants all around the Best Western. Not sure what else to say.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! I wasn't sure what to expect, but we were so happy. The room was beautiful. The lounge was great too. The staff was so friendly and quick to help. I would recommend this hotel 1000x and hope I get to stay there again.

This hotel was very nice. Amenities were were excellent. We were there for a wedding and overall we were pleased with services and accommodations. They a had a huge pool/atrium that was well enjoyed by all they kids staying at the hotel. Had one minor issue with restaurant service, but beyond that, everything was great. We stayed for one night with our toddler and had a great experience. Room was very clean and noise was minimal at night. Pool was clean and warm. Our toddler was disappointed he couldn't do the water slide. Breakfast was good and price for the room was reasonable.

The resort was beautiful, clean and well maintained. Walking through the atrium felt like waking through a tropical resort. Was there for a conference but I plan on taking my family there in the future.

Poor decision making and management was not helpful or understanding... embarrassing! Next morning we reported our problem to a different manager and he was not helpful, uncaring and did nothing to resolve the situation.

If you are looking for an excellent hotel to stay with a hockey team this is the one! We recently stayed for a hockey tournament with a group of 15/16 year old boys. The hotel had an excellent pool/water slide/hot tub for the boys to enjoy after their games. The atrium rooms provided a space for the parents to gather and relax as well. Rooms were clean and large enough for all gear and people. Will definitely be returning for our next trip to London.

Stayed at the Lamplighter after a medical procedure for my daughter. My daughter was in significant discomfort and needed to lie down we were 2 hours early for check in but Justin was very accommodating . He gave us a room on the ground level very close to the parking lot. Thank you Justin for your compassion

I was visiting for a Medical Appointment and decided on the Lamplighter because we had been there a long Time ago for a Family Event. The Changes I noticed were absolutely beautiful. Lamplighter also offered a better Rate for People visiting for Medical Purposes and are also offering a Hospital Shuttle to all Hospitals in London. Very much recommended to anyone visiting for this Purpose.

We recently stayed in this hotel. It's quite attractive with the atrium, pool and water slide. The hotel was clean and food was reasonable diner food at the attached restaurant. Unfortunately we were facing the pool/koi pond. There was a humid and strong chlorine feel/smell when in the atrium. About 10pm a very strong chlorine smell came through our room, our eyes started to sting and turn red and then I had a really bad asthma attack. I've occasionally had mild bouts but this was the worst by far. The smell just hung in the air all night and it was so humid. If anyone or those they are travelling with has allergies Or lung issues I would seriously reconsider this hotel. I told the front desk and they just winced, apologised and made a note.

Always love coming here for a fun family getaway! Relaxing and kids love to swim and enjoy the arcade and movie night! We enjoy going to Shelly's restaurant, great environment and food is excellent and good prices !

Terrible experience and very unprofessional hotel staff. I will never come here again. (I personally called in the morning and spoke to a lady at the front desk to ensure that a proper queen jacuzzi suite was ready for check in. I even informed her that it is a special occasion for a birthday. They advised me that they held a room aside on the second floor.) This room was 300$. I was shocked to see that I was given a room with a dirty jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and horrible noise all day and night long. We were disgusted by the dirty tiles and did not even use the jacuzzi. ( it was a one person tub in the bathroom which doesn't not count as a queen jacuzzi suite). The water from the tap had a very foul smell as well. We did not even want to brush our teeth in the morning. To make the experience even worse - the ac was not working properly and the staff brought us a fan which did not help. No one seemed to address any problems or concerns and I feel like I wasted my money on this hotel. I spoke to a supervisor on site and he was very rude and unprofessional. He made us feel unwelcome and did not do anything to address our matters of concern. He did not seem to care about the guests at all. Never coming back here again and will tell all my friends and family about the horrible treatment I had here. *Since I filled out the survey for my stay, the manager contacted me with no professionalism or any sense of concern. I posted my experience on google reviews and tripadvisor since my visit was so awful and unpleasant. The staff does not seem to care about their guests at all. He even dared to bring up a visit from 2017 which I had the same problem with being given the wrong room after paying so much! We had to argue for an hour with the front desk to be moved to another room that was decent. I thought after two years, things would have been different but this experience was even worse than the first. Please save your money and go to a better hotel! No one should have to pay this much for a dirty place, no ac, loud noise, foul tap water, rude staff, and noise ! This is a waste of money.

What an amazing time we had! The pool and the slide were a hit with all of us and the service was beyond excellent! The room was clean and had a direct walkout to the pool. The beds were comfy and we were very impress with the room in general.

this is a very nice hotel with a very nice commend space. one down side for our group is there was no commend place for us to sit around and have a beer staying in the room we just get noise completes.

This was a great spot for an overnight in London. It has an attached restaurant and there are numerous other places to eat nearby. My room was comfortable and had plenty of room to work and relax. The desk staff were very friendly and professional.

The Lamplighter was absolutely perfect for our wedding day. To start, it is absolutely beautiful! We had our ceremony on the atrium (don't worry- they close the pool). And our reception in the North Crystal ballroom. Not enough can be said about each and every staff member who all made our day stress free and amazing. Friendly and attentive to every detail. Claudia (our organizer) was phenomenal. Very professional, friendly and easy to work with. Whenever we had a meeting, we would go with a list of questions. We never needed to ask any of them because they anticipated every one of our needs! The food is delicious with generous portions. Amazing value for the price!

This was a great hotel with terrific pool and relaxing atmosphere. I had to go in prep for my mom's cancer treatment and since it is right across the road from the hospital, I appreciated the convenience and ‘zen' abilities.

We'll stay here again bc my girls love the pool and comfy beds, but have to say a few things were disappointing this time around: 1) the hot tub was down during our whole stay. This is the feature that I, personally, was most looking forward to. I had spoken to someone when I confirmed our stay the day before ( a rather snooty man- again something I'd not encountered there, before) and was told nothing of the repairs we'd encounter. 2) 20 minutes into a movie, it became apparent it was not suitable for the girls in my care, but no wY to refund so we could watch something els, especially since they knew it was my daughter's birthday. 3) the people in the room that shared our walk were very loud, but even after I went to the front desk, it continued. At 1am someone was banging so loudly on the door of that room that my daughter woke startled. . I didn't even call down again bc nothing had been done the first time. Both these issues were after 10pm I paid well over 500 dollars fir two nights. The price has really gone up considering this is a family venue.

I know that repairs are a necessary thing but after a 2.5 hr. drive my daughter and I wee looking forward to using the hot tub to be able to relax and unwind especially driving the 401 highway but it was down for repairs...I thought that maybe we would have been offered an additional small discount for the inconvenience. But I have to say that this is still my favorite hotel in London.

Clean , quiet, great amenities. Best staff. Rooms are great and we did not hear any other guest. Pool is fantastic even just to sit on balcony to enjoy. Everything we needed was right there. Any questions and it was a text away

Nice hotel to stay at with amenities that included a pool and water slide. Only thing missing was a Sauna. A pool without a Sauna, what gives? Oh well we had a good time moving my youngest son to university.

Hotel was clean. Atrium was well cared for and food at Shelley's was good as always. Only real complaint is the waterfall/slide was being repaired and was not adviced before hand. Otherwise a pleasant stay

Myself and 2 girlfriend's stayed overnight. We had the best time swimming in the pool very clean. Our room was very nice and very,very clean. The linen was of the best quality. The next morning we had breakfast at Shelley's which is attached to the hotel. Breakfast was very good and so reasonable. The staff was great. We are coming back in November.

Lovely, clean hotel, close to everything. They have a special medical rate, which was great since my mom was in th4 hospital. Pool was gorgeous, my son loved it. Rooms were comfy, manager Sheldon and front desk were very kind. Will definitely be back.

We were in London for just a night and chose to stay here because we collect points, and usually there is a degree of predictability. This Best Western did not disappoint: staff were excellent, the hotel was very clean, the on site restaurant was quite acceptable ( the coffee was not great). My only complaint was the pillows — they were large & hard so I ended up sleeping without one.

We stayed for one night. Enjoyed Pizza delivery (room service) in the Atrium for dinner. Our children (3yrs and 1yr) loved the pool, and even had a little fun in the game/arcade room! We stayed in a King Suite room, with an atrium view and walkout balcony. We found the room very accommodating for small children. We were able to put the kids to bed in a seperate room (the sitting area) and still enjoy the balcony and bedroom area of the hotel room. The view off the balcony was relaxing (with the waterfalls and plants), and made for good people watching. The room decor could use an update but it certainly wasn't horrible. Our only complaint was the mattress. We found it to be far too soft. Perhaps it's just personal preference but we definitely would have preferred a mattress that was more firm. My husband and I both woke up with a sore neck and back. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast at the attached restaurant Shelly's Tap & Grill. End of the day, the hotel served its purpose. The staff were accommodating, and the kids had fun....and that's was the point of our trip!

We stayed at this hotel as part of a large group of friends. We were all conveniently booked together and the pool and water slide made it easy to keep a group of kids with a wide range of ages entertained for hours!

Customer service went above and beyond. The pool and waterslide are a huge bonus and the resturant offered very great food and pricing. Pricing of the hotel is on par with what they offer and the cleanliness was that of a 5 star resort. Highly recommend

My girls and I went back to school shopping and decided to stay a night at the lamplighter inn. The rooms are very clean and nice but the bathroom was dated and awkward. Pool was way to cold and the slide didn't open til 3pm.

This hotel is a great location to stop when you are looking to stop on a long journey. The kids will love the games room, pool, water slide and waterfall, and the adults will love the hot tub and exercise room. The service is always great, with happy, accommodating staff members. We have stayed here once a year every year for 7 years. There are constant upgrades to the hotel and pool area. Things don't stay broken long, and when fixed, it seems they are truly fixed and upgraded. It is a little pricy, but ask for the "Family Package" when you call. There are some great value in that.

If you want to see palm trees, beautiful gardens, fantastic rooms with a balcony overlooking a beautiful pool and don't want to leave Ontario - look no further - all that is available at the London Ontario Best Western. We have been many times and have never been disappointed.

I had to stay in London for a surgery at the Victoria hospital. This hotel was in close proximity but I was pleasantly surprised with how nice this hotel was! The pool area felt like a nice getaway. I didnt get to enjoy the pool due to surgery but I enjoyed the waterfall sounds, sunshine and warm air. Rooms were clean and staff (esp Justin) were super helpful. I would def stay here again. Very nice light salad bar. Love the soup. Lunch deal includes light salad bar. Very nice lunch spot. Several choices. Note They need to learn how to make a proper martini. Two shots vodka. Two shots vermouth dry. Mix Serve cold. Not warm. 3 olives.

Chose this hotel because of the pool and pictures seen online, as well as their rating for cleanliness. Glad we picked this place. It was clean, quiet (except for the pool lol) and overall just a good experience.

You can tell right away that this hotel has a well trained and organized staff. Little things like addressing internet access promptly really help making life better for the guests. We were at the hotel due to a medical procedure for a relative at the nearby hospital. The hotel quickly offered their hospital stay discount - much appreciated. Our room faced the indoor pool / hot tub / play area. I was concerned about what the noise level would be at night, but no problem. It must be very well soundproofed. The room was nice with a seating area seperate from the bedroom. Clean and comfortable. The only complaint was the A/C was louder than usual.

We have stayed in many hotels in the UK, U.S.A. and Canada..this one tops our list..from the staff to the available facilities. Although we are a couple there were many families obviously enjoying the hotel as much as we were. It has our highest recommendation as a great place to stay!

Had 2 dogs barking for over an hour 2 doors down wake us up in the morning! Asked for a second floor room facing the pool and got a view of only the lighthouse, but wasn't told that when we arrived. Charged $25 dollars more than quoted on my reservation. When I called to question it, the explanation was not clear.

This hotel is beautiful. The staff is great and very pleasant. The hotel is really clean. The restaurant is good and we had great breakfast service from Peter. They have so much to offer. Also the pool is absolutely stunning. Definitely worth the stay and I would come back here.

The room we finally got into was very good. the beds are great but the pullout couches always need improvement. The pool was great for the kids, not sure why the slide was shutdown though. Overall great time.

We went to this hotel on the weekend, it was our very first time, and for sure we will go back egging, great customer Service, the pool was really good the kids have a lot of fun in the slide and the restaurant was perfect food and price was great . We really recommend this place.

We spent one evening in this beautiful hotel as we were visiting relatives in London. Upon arrival, we were directed to a room on the main floor but it faced the parking lot. We asked to be moved and were given a great room on the 3rd floor facing the pool. The pool was gorgeous! Our grandchildren loved it. We will definitely go back!

We stayed at the BW Lamplighter hotel for a night (1st time there..won't be last). We traveled with our 13 year old son and he had a blast at pool and the slide..the hot tub was hot, but jets were not working , didn't matter it was used alot without jets..Check in was quick, simple and staff very friendly and welcoming...the room was bright and clean had a waterfall out our window that looked down to fish pond. There were minor issues ...room was warm ..not hot but we couldnt get it to cool with AC..pop machine would eat money and give no pop ..but front desk gave us money back...We opted for express check out ..it worked fabulous..Overall it was a great stay ..large bright comfortable room and although it was busy it wasnt overly crowded..Would highly recommended and as stated we will be back ..will try for a night other than Saturday..

Great hotel with lots too due for the kids. Pool and water slide was great for kids to burn off energy. Room was spacious and clean. Lots of parking and friendly staff. Security walked the hotel halls and outside so we felt safe.
