    « Beautiful Facility- Adult Oriented »

    Stayed here with my Husband and 1 year old daughter for the first night of our Scotland adventure. Beautiful. Probably wouldn't recommend for families with children- everyone was polite, but you can feel that children are not there often. Nice, very warm pool. There looked to be a hot tub, sauna, and steam room as well. There were about 8 other people using the pool area activities at the same time (all men... actually we didn't see a single other female or child the whole time on the property). Room was nice. Bed was very comfortable. LOTS of stairs. A little too "posh" for us, but for a romantic getaway would be amazing. Did not have food included in our stay, and did not eat as menu quite pricey.

    Stayed overnight on a b+b deal with Expedia and combined a 5pm deal for dinner. Driveway entrance is impressive and so is first sight of hotel. As with all old buildings, could do with a touch up here + there but am sure this is an on going task. Our room smelled slightly of damp on first entering, and had a not so nice outlook onto some workmens buckets outside our window! Spent a nice afternoon on the outside balcony at the Nineteenth Hole bar. Service here was good as it was in the Vista Restaurant, all staff are very pleasant. I would recommend checking your bill on checkout morning as we had 2 seperate charges totalling nearly £60 that weren't ours, however this was sorted put quickly + efficiently. Would say overall this place was 3.5 stars but not 4 star.

    Had a great overnight stay with my partner. Room was absolutely beautiful - couldn't fault it at all. Swimming pool and spa facilities where spotless and very relaxing. The staff at the hotel couldn't help us enough - big thank you to Lee who looked after us. Went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay!! Very kind, down to earth and great to talk too. Will definitely be back!

    « Our dream wedding - 12th May 2018 »

    We got married at Gleddoch on 12th May and the day was absolutely perfect. Every single member of staff made us feel like royalty, we wanted for nothing all weekend. From our first meeting, menu tasting and all the way to our dream day on Saturday everything went so smoothly. Rhona and Jordan made sure everything was exactly as we had asked and made sure we were relaxed through out. The wait staff, bar staff and Chris on reception went above and beyond to make sure our guest had a great day. The venue itself is just picture perfect, so many of our guests have been saying how amazing it looks after all the renovations. The bars, lounges and grounds were the perfect spaces for our guest to mingle and enjoy the beautiful views. The food was unbelievable - canapés, main meal, buffet were delicious. The sticky toffee is the best I've ever had!! Our families loved our private breakfast the following morning and they spent all day Sunday playing golf, visiting the spa and relaxing in the fabulous terraces. We cannot thank Gleddoch enough for making sure we had the day of our dreams!!! Mr & Mrs Hughes xx

    Ordered the £15 burger thinking for £15 this better be incredible and it was anything but, I mean it wasn't disgusting but this place is deluded if they think that burger is worth £15. Friend ordered a chicken salad which went pretty much untouched as was so incredibly dry. Have no issues paying high prices for food but it has to be worth it and this just wasn't. Sorry.

    A little gem of a hotel not far from Glasgow Airport which is what attracted us after a long day's traveling. Comfy clean spacious rooms, accommodating staff and a delicious breakfast. We really didn't take advantage of all that was on offer.. The spa and leisure facilities looked first rate. Would return.

    The hotels reviews and photos do not do it justice. The room was modern and spotless clean. The spa was fabulous- heated seats looking out at that amazing view and a bonus hot tub outside. Pool open until 10 and nobody in while I was there the staff emptied all the water out and refilled both hot tubs showing just how clean and hygeine focused the hotel is. Luxury Elmis products in the changing rooms and bedrooms. Late check out. Would definitely book again. You won't be disappointed.

    The layout of this hotel is a little strange due to it being built on different levels and it doesn't have any lifts. Therefore quite a few stairs to climb. I had pleasure of staying 3 nights in a junior suite. The suite was stunning with beautiful views. All areas of this hotel are beautifully decorated. Spa area was exceptional. The staff are great. Food was a little disappointing but I look forward to retuning.

    « Fantastic stay, amazing staff especially Angela »

    My partner and I recently stayed at Gleddoch and firstly I would like to say how beautiful the hotel and surroundings are, our bedroom immaculate and extremely comfertable. There was one girl in particular who excelled herself by going above and beyond on many occasions in our short stay. Our room key wouldn't work, Angela told us to have a seat and a drink and she would be straight back which she was, our evening meal was Devine and again Angela took her time going through the difference in menus and reccomending a wine to suit our dish which was a remarkable choice. After our meal she wasn't only looking after us but a full restaurant and still made time to speak with every guest she is an absolute asset to your hotel and yous are lucky to have her. The following morning the breakfast was served a buffet style, all very nice but atmosphere lacking with staff hospitality. All in all my self and my husband will absolutely be back to stay at gleddoch and only hope we have the pleaseure of meeting Angela again. Thank you Gleddoch but especially thank you Angela. Hope to see yous again very soon.

    What an amazing time we had last night. Not overly busy but that meant the spa was quiet enough to relax! We decided to have dinner in our room and the food was outstanding too. Overall we were delighted and this is our new favourite spot for a relaxing spa day/stay over. Highly recommended! Ps - still can't decised what we enjoyed most.. the outside hot tub and the view from our room!

    We had our wedding at this venue on the 17/03/18. Make no mistake I am incredibly saddened to write this as we had a wonderful day and our wedding coordinator Laura was absolutely fantastic from booking all the way through. Food was beautiful and the venue is stunning all of our guests said it was a fantastic day. The issue we have is regarding missing wedding cards, We are missing numerous cards totalling the value of between £800-£1000. I am not in anyway saying anyone at the hotel should be held responsible for our gifts/cards it is par for the course that you are responsible for your own gifts. What I do hold them responsible for however is the lack of help and support in the aftermath. We stayed at the hotel for the weekend and after opening our cards on the Sunday we quickly realised we were missing quite a number of cards we alerted reception immediately incase they had been misplaced and was told they would look into it but as another wedding was on that day that had to take priority, completely understandable we honestly believed the cards would show up. Come the Monday we were leaving for honeymoon and asked to speak with the events manager who was unavailable so our mothers waited behind to speak with him he asked them if they would please wait until Friday to contact the police to give him the week to investigate. Friday came and went and I contacted a staff member who advised that he had been on annual leave all week so had no idea why we have been told he would investigate during that week and their advise was the contact the police immediately (my mother in law did this as I said we were on honeymoon & I have written proof of this correspondence). The police have advised that the Gleddoch have said cctv is now unavailable they knew this was an issue & the police were being called why could it not have been saved? Or more importantly why did no one care to look at this CCTV when we asked them to on numerous occasions. The most concerning part and the missing money I do hold them responsible for is the card my mums friend handed to a receptionist on arrival as she wasn't aware there was a postbox, the staff admitted they had received this card so were is it? A simple case of checking the cctv at the time the card was handed over would have resolved this issue it was reported and chased up several times why not just check it in the apparent two weeks you had to do so? This would have went a long way to avoiding suspicion. Cards we are also missing that were posted in our post box I was advised there is a CCTV camera directly above it why was this not checked?despite us practically begging them to do so. This review could have been prevented if they had simply provided a decent level of aftercare and essentially not been so lazy & furtive. I have given them chance after chance to do an investigation been patient and polite with absolutely nothing in return I'm absolutely devastated that this is a memory of our day & there has been no steps taken to resolve the issue.

    We had our team away day at Gleddoch. We had a great room with a large table that sat 25 of us comfortably with a lovely view of the Clyde. We were very well looked after by the staff who were superb. Lunch was excellent as was our private dinner. We also did a gin tasting experience in the Dram Bar with Alan which was a fantastic team event. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks to Mark and his whole team.

    After having The Gleddoch recommended to us by a few friends as a venue for our 10 year wedding anniversary celebrations we decided to go stay over to have a look. We were not disappointed, it was fantastic. The rooms are beautiful, the food was amazing and the hotel and the grounds are simply stunning. We then booked for our party, from start to finish the staff accommodated everything we asked for, from helping set up a games console and tv for the kids to play in the evening to finding safety pins for a dress malfunction before the ceremony, a member of staff even picked a guest up from the train station who was running late . They had everything covered and running smoothly for us the whole evening. Out with our event, just staying in the hotel was fantastic, totally family friendly (we have 6 kids) and all of the staff from bar staff to spa staff are lovely. We highly recommend The Gleddoch and will be back again ourselves.

    my friend recently got married here and it was fantastic the staff are amazing and friendly and the building and the scenery are stunning we stayed the night and the room was beautiful and clean with two dressing gowns provided the bed was very comfortable I would stay here again and highly recommend staying here .

    « Half Term Family break »

    My family and I stayed at this beautiful location Hotel for the second time this half term. The views over the Clyde were prettier than I had remembered, whether the sun was shinning or the snow was falling. The room was plenty big enough for all of us and very clean. We used the pool and leisure facility every day. We loved sitting in the outdoor jacuzzi looking out over the Clyde. The breakfast in the hotel is superb. There was lots of choice and the staff were really helpful. The hotel is in a great location. We caught the train to Glasgow which only took 30 minutes and the train station is at the bottom of the road. Its only 25 mins to Loch Lomond. I look forward to playing the golf course next visit. I would definitely recommend this hotel

    « Our Wedding - amazing day!! »

    We booked the Gleddoch over 2 years ago for our wedding before the refurbishment after falling in love with the views and the hotel itself. The refurb only increased this and we can honestly say we had the most amazing day!! Planning the wedding over 250 miles ago was a challenge but the staff and the events team were amazing and helped me to sort everything and offered advice throughout the whole process. Big thanks to Janette and Laura from the team (who were no doubt sick of my emails ?) they've been fantastic and kept me calm and went above and beyond to make our day special. Big thanks to Jordan too (our MC on the day) he was great keeping things going to plan and checking if we needed to change the order throughout and for keeping a glass in our hands at all times. Also thanks to Alan from the bar, Chris from reception and all the service team! Everyone commented on how nice the hotel was and how lovely the food was ? it was served quickly and the buffet food went within minutes. We couldn't have wanted or asked for anything else from the hotel and their staff. We never actually got chance to use the spa but some friends did and they enjoyed themselves and so did the kids! We will definitely be back ? anyone thinking of booking a wedding here ? do it!! You will not be disappointed ? I would do it all again if I could and not change a thing! Amanda & Michael

    An interesting upgrade to the hotel which has I am sure been costly. Cannot say the decor is our cup of tea but everyone is different. We chose an executive room as opposed to a classic room we had stayed in before. Preferred the decor in the cheaper room. Attention to detail missing and I am sorry to say lack of management control.lots of small things not good. Cleanliness not good. Breakfast was okay but plates cold as plate warmers not on. Otherwise the stay was okay despite the noise outside the golf course facing view. Ask for a river view. Mound in shower. Dreadful staircase. Broken vents outside and inside. As I said lack of attention to detail.

    Beautiful hotel set in lovely grounds, just unfortunate that the reception staff are not the most welcoming, friendly or efficient. Having checked in on the Friday, asked for my complimentary upgrade, which was received we were told nothing with regards to restaurants spa etc. Day two received a call as they thought I should have checked out!! We book one night with points one with cash they knew this as was confirmed on check in but still managed to muck things up. What made this worse is overhearing the conversation with another member of staff with regards to myself and my booking. Not happy! Customer service very much needs improvement. On a positive note domestics were extremely helpful

    My sister and i went here for afternoon tea on tuesday 9th april. She had been given it as a gift from her granddaughter for xmas. We went there really looking forward to the experience as it is a 4 star country hotel and spa. Our first dissappointment was that they did not have us booked in, although we had booked it the week before. We were not given choice or told what it consisted of. When brought to us there was salmon sandwiches which we did not like, they changed these for ham. Roast beef had horseradish which could not eat, but main thing was that the spread on sandwiches was so thick and certainly not butter. Had to scrape it off and leave at side of plate. Couple of small scones and little pieces of what i guess was supposed to be cake. Overall not impressed. Suggest they look at other venues re Mar Hall to see how afternoon tea should be served. Not one of staff enquired as to how things were or if we enjoyed our food or visit. So will certainly not be going back. 2 very unhappy sisters.

    Got a gift of a short break here and could not fault the place. The reception staff were lovely on arrival and our room was excellent. Everything we could have wanted in it. The leisure facilities were amazing as were the swimming pool and health suite, especially the outdoor hot tub. The food in the evening was amazing and the added extra of fruit in my drink made it special. The breakfast was amazing as was the view from the restaurant. Had a great nights stay and would highly recommend.

    « Best night out in months! »

    Myself and a few friends decided to have a catch up in the restaurant overlooking the golf course on the 11th of April this year and all agree it was the best decision we had made in a long time. The view was amazing, the staff were all incredibly professional, friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Fionna our server who catered to our every need, and also to Matthew their new Food and Beverage manager who took the time to welcome us and explain any and all questions we had about the menu. The food was out of this world, perfectly presented, perfectly cooked and wonderfully explained by Mathew. The menu was shorter than expected however after my initial doubt I was wowed by the quality of all the dishes. After dinner we moved down to the Dram bar and our expectations were exceeded yet again. The bartender, who I believe was called Andy was wonderful. Incredibly friendly and could answer any question you could possibly think of in relation to whisky or anything else on his bar. The location of the venue is stunning, from the driveway to the car park, and every detail looked to have been thought out thoroughly. I will definitely be back very soon!

    We attended here for our friends wedding on the 7th of April. Our stay was fab from start to finish! The hotel was spotless, the food was brilliant, both at breakfast and dinner. The staff were helpful and friendly at all times. Our room was a great size, bright and had the best view! We used the spa facilities before leaving and really enjoyed the experience, the hotel is well decorated throughout and the spa was modern and also spotless, with the spa staff being very helpful. We will definitely return for a spa break to make full use of the facilities and to enjoy the hotel again!

    Having arrived at this hotel as a wedding guest, I was extremely unimpressed by the management's complete lack of concern following the disappearance of my wedding gift - a wedding card containing money - which I handed to the receptionist to give to the bride and groom on Saturday 17th March. The card vanished without trace. Receptionist Kayleigh assured me it would be passed on. Why has there been no internal investigation in this concerning matter? CCTV footage at the reception desk would swiftly solve the mystery - if only someone cared to look at it.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our two night bed and breakfast stay. Superior king size room was lovely, clean and robes for spa were very useful. Food was excellent and although our one evening meal at the hotel took ages to come it was well worth the wait, delicious. First morning the breakfast was buffet style and ample choices. Second morning breakfast was to order and it was an excessive wait for the food (40 mins) but again lovely food. Swimming pool is great along with steam room and sauna. Outside hot tub slightly too cold but the inside one was far too hot, no one stayed in it for long! Would definitely recommend this hotel and if you were lucky enough to get a room with a view of the Firth I bet that is amazing.

    First stayed here in or around 2015 , lovely setting but large and old. BUT visited recently (OCT 2017)and it's had huge investment, rooms are an excellent standard and breakfast fabulous. The gym could do with a little equipment maintenance, and hopefully the door cards have been sorted (it can be a long walk back !) Food is nice BUT could do with a bit more of a bar type menu (in the bar) Friendly staff and hope the above are just niggles ..... will always stay there when I can.

    « Dog friendly hotel and great Dram Bar! »

    We just checked out and had a fun 4 nights here. Everyone was lovely towards our dogs which made the stay. Alan in the Dram bar is absolutely brilliant, a real gem and Anthony was fantastic too. They were both extremely knowledgeable about their whisky and the Dram Bar was well stocked and comfortable which made our husbands very happy. A nice man at reception helped us open our safe (didn't catch his name!) as I didn't follow directions and locked my stuff in there, he was so lovely as was Carlos and Angela in the restaurant. Some of the other staff could not be asked but these ones made it a great visit. I can see what other reviews say about parts of the hotel being tired but the fact that they were so accommodating for our dogs and the staff I mentioned made the visit and we really enjoyed our stay. The restaurant and bar need revamping, we ate in the bar and they mixed up our food so me and my friend didn't enjoy our meal at at all and there was a breakage and then a staff member slipped and it was all a bit chaotic so we didn't eat on site again. However the first day they put us in a separate suite where we could eat with our dogs and that was freshly decorated and the staff like Carlos were fantastic. It was not far from Loch Lomond so we went there to walk the dogs and that was a great day out and there are a couple distilleries not too far away which was handy. You defo want to have a car if staying here in my opinion. So a mixed review I guess, it depends on what is important to you but we enjoyed it!! P.S. Thank you Alan and Anthony for taking care of our husbands, with love from the ?angry wives' and Alan you defo look younger than the both of them haha!!

    « Great venue for a family Wedding »

    This hotel has a country house feel which I prefer. Staff aren't in your face but friendly and approachable when needed. My super king room 25 was immaculately clean and super elegant and comfortable with gorgeous views of the water from the windows (which open, always a bonus). The room can be warm or cool depending on customer preference. The large shower room was top notch with Elemis toiletries. I loved the smaller public rooms and seating areas where you could just relax, the soft furnishings and ambiance in each room is lovely. The meal at the wedding was outstanding super tasty. Breakfast in the Kilpatrick suite was very tasty and all the elements were of the highest quality. Unusually for a hotel the drinks were very reasonable. All the staff in the hotel were lovely. My room was a long walk from reception, with lots of stairs which I didn't mind and there are ways of getting round for the less mobile. However I couldn't give 5 stars for the following reasons 1/. All over the hotel, outside bedrooms there were a lot of trays with finished meals on them, they should be removed more quickly, 2/. Cupboards and rooms that are less than tidy are left lying open which gives a poor first impression for guests. 3/. Towels from guests rooms who have left, are lying on the floor outside bedroom doors, again gives an untidy look, the dirty towels should be in a laundry basket. 4/. The housekeeper knocks your door before 11am on your departure day, there should be a more discreet way of finding if you have left. 5/. The breakfast in the Kilpatrick suite said 8.30 am to 10.30 am, however some of the wedding party weren't told this and went to the dining room. I arrived there at 9 am and the breakfast was just being brought in and at this time the hot food was almost cold. I would definitely come back here and use the spa and beautiful terraces for a quiet weekend, the views from those terraces are stunning. This was one of the best weddings I have ever been at.

    Lovely hotel although some activities are on different levels. The hotel is built on the slope of the hill so for instance the spa is halfway up the stairs between reception and the dinning rooms. For that reason don't take your bags out of the car at reception, till you find out where your room is, reception is at the bottom tier and some bedrooms are at the top level so you may have to move the car. The hotel provides a great view across the Clyde so bring the binoculars. The grounds themselves are also great for views and a good walk but watch if you wander into the golf course. The course itself is a decent challenge as its set around the slopes. Other facilities such as the pool and spa are great. There is a pool table in the 19th hole bar but the lighting is terrible if you are playing of an evening, in a corner and dark felt doesn't make for a good game. The hotel is thoroughly clean and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Rooms come in a variety of sizes and standards for all parties and pockets. Breakfast and dinner were well presented and really tasty, try the curried broth soup if it's available! Good location for jumping off to Glasgow or just the local countryside. Will definitely be back, great for short trips.

    This was a birthday gift from my husband which I was excited and looking forward to. I was joined by a friend who booked a single treatment. On arrival I was informed that all 3 of my treatments would be given concurrently starting at 10am,this was disappointing as having had full body massage,facial then foot treatment I didn't feel that using sauna,pool etc would be a good idea as my skin had lovely oils etc applied to it. On previous Spa days I have attended elsewhere the treatments are spaced out and discussed with you in which order you wished to have them. The treatments were great and Maxine is a superb masseuse. Lunch of a sandwich & soft drink were included in my Spa day,choices quite limited and served on Brioche bun with few crisps and purple coleslaw I think,it was tasteless whatever it was. This gift was £120 and I don't feel I got value for the cost as I didn't get use of the other facilities due to way treatments were given. The relaxation area is great with calming ambience,locker/ shower room clean & tidy. Will I return,only if the change Spa day treatments and space them throughout day rather that all performed together. The other facilities looked great,as I did not feel I could use them without undoing benefits of my treatments cannot say more!

    We booked two rooms for dinner, bed & breakfast and upon arrival for check in a lot of the rooms still weren't ready, once they were ready we took our luggage up to the room and were faced with a plate of food in the hallway outside the room opposite. Entering the room you appreciate how lovely the rooms are with the super sized bed that is great if you don't want to cuddle in to your partner, (perfect for me I can't mind the last time we hit it off) anyway back to the review...the stunning view over the river is gorgeous especially when the sun is reflecting off the water, we decided to try out the SPA oh it's a beautiful place if the facilities are all working but we had to wait in a queue to enter as it was fully booked, the out door hot tub is really just a tub as there is nothing hot about it, there is more fake tan stuck to it than what my wife wears on a Friday night, least the tub hasn't got any missed white bits, the indoor hot tub is like my sex life ?out of action? as it was too hot. Now to the food that's quite simple it was a horrendous, I remember the school feeding me better if I'm being honest, there is a wee snug bar in the old part of the hotel that was lovely so that is well worth a visit, due to the food being almost unfit for human consumption we ordered a dominos pizza which deliver from Erskine, what a treat it was to...well worth the call. If your going to book here just go B&B and get a domino delivered and you won't be to disappointed....with the drink flowing and heading back up to our room I thought I'm in for a right treat here when I get up the stairs and I wasn't wrong the beds are extremely comfy, I was out like a light...woke feeling fresh with a beautiful view over the river ready to get a breakfast fit for a king, Jesso I was wrong, did I say fit for a king what I meant was fit for a bin, the food was cold, the plates were cold...I'm starting to sound like victor meldrew here but I was just disappointed...on the plus side it's easy access back out on to the main road when your leaving...

    spa day would be 4 star, but, they had ran out of cups for water, so could not get drink of cold water. Inside hot tub was really dirty, I removed head pillow, as its needs a good scrub, also top part of tub, also needs a good clean, and steam room was out of action. Lunch was vey good and enjoyable.

    Checked in no issues 2 lovely staff on reception. Went for a cheeky drink and the bar staff were brilliant and recognised the lady who was on reception earlier in the bar then driving the golf buggy . Booked into restaurant for a meal and yes the same lady was around again. Had to ask her name she was fantastic l. A brilliant night all thanks to the fantastic Angela who is a master of many trades. An asset to the hotel thank you Angela

    THe hotel is lovely, the location is great. However, the room service breakfast was absolutely awful - gone off orange juice, toast with no butter, forgot the beans. When I tried to call to complain/get my things changed, reception and room service didn't answer on several occasions. Beds were lovely & big - comfy.

    We have just returned from an overnight stay and we feel let down by The Gleddoch. This hotel is very well advertised with glowing reports about their ?new' and ?improved' features - don't be fooled! Firstly, we weren't able to access our room until 45 minutes after check in, as they were still waiting on it being cleaned. The room was spacious and served all our needs, this was the only real positive. When checking in, we quickly realised there was a wedding being held the same day/night, we were never advised of this. Come early evening, we found out our room was situated directly above the function suite for this wedding... the party went on until 01:30 and we heard absolutely everything. When we called reception to complain at 23:00 we were told they had already received similar complaints and nothing could've been done. The spa... the worst I have ever seen. All hype and absolutely no substance. The heated indoor pool is cold. The indoor hot tub doesn't function. The steam room is broken and the outdoor hot tub was freezing cold, broken parts and full of popcorn... The evening meal was absolute chaos! Firstly, our drinks order was taken but drinks didn't arrive until 40 minutes later, despite asking several times. Numerous items were unavailable from the menu, but weren't made aware until we came to place our order. The portion sizes are dreadful. We ordered two courses which took the best part of 2 and a half hours to be served. Upon leaving, our lovely server (the only other positive) apologised for the admitted dreadful service. Breakfast again was basic and we really couldn't wait to check out. We won't return and I certainly wouldn't recommend.

    We booked our wedding at gleddoch House hotel in 2017 for October 2018 but we decided to bring the wedding forward to march 2018. Gleddoch were more than happy to help bring our date forward infact they were more than helpful with every aspect of planning our wedding day nothing was too much for them Laura and Rhona were always available to discuss anything I needed they even give me suggestions on where to get things like cake celebrants and more. Laura and Rhona were very helpful when it came to doing menus table plans and name places Rhona even hand wrote all my name cards and table plan. On our wedding day both Laura and Rhona were on hand to help out with flowers guests welcome and even made sure the wedding party had food and drinks to keep us going till the ceremony! Both the girls were amazing on the day always making sure we were alright and kept everything very calm. Jordan was our master of ceremonies he was fabulous too made me feel very comfortable from the moment I met him nothing was an issue even when I was running nearly an hour late there was no problem they made sure they made the time up at the end of the meal and offered teas and coffee in the black and white room! Jordan done a great job he even helped my husbands 96 year old gran outside for a cigarette which I think is above and beyond he was very chatty to all my guests everyone said how lovely he was. I can not fault gleddoch house hotel at all the made sure Paul and I had the day we had dreamt of from start to finish everything was perfect and all ran without a hitch. I will be recommending this venue to anyone that's getting married. A huge thank you especially to Laura Rhona and Jordan You were all 5 star. The food was also 5 star from the canapés to meals and the buffet all my commented on how good it was Thanks Mr and Mrs McEwan x

    We recently had a really lovely weekend here. The hotel itself is lovely - the bedrooms, spa and communal areas have been recently refurbished. It's in a beautiful location with gorgeous views over the countryside and the Clyde. There's and outdoor hot tub and lovely outdoor seating area. What gave the hotel it's warm atmosphere though were the staff. We were so well looked after especially in the restaurant and in the spa. There's a great boutique style 'Dram bar' with every type of Scottish whiskey and gin you could think off. The barman really knows his stuff and will spend a lot of time with you. I would definitely go back.

    Myself and my wife have been members of the spa for just over one month. What we have found is the spa is spotless and all the staff work hard and are always on hand to help with any problems in and around the spa. The steam room had not been working but we have seen work getting done to get it opened again very soon . The gym is also very well equipped and staff are on hand to help out with fitness programmes.     We had arranged the overnight spa package which included the following: Full use of Spa, 2 x 30min treatments, lunch, dinner, bed and breakfast £185. The Spa facilities are good and the treatments were very good. The outside hot tub cooled down very quickly. Food was nice, staff were very helpful I have forgotten their names! They were very patient and could not be more helpful. Rooms were very comfortable, I have paid a lot more for less!. Breakfast to die for and a lovely package on leaving.

    A good deal for a night away which included use of all leisure facilities (outdoor Jacuzzi is especially a nice touch) and breakfast included. The surrounding views are stunning & rooms are nicely decorated. I wouldn't advise dinner at the hotel as it is overpriced, small portions & wouldn't say worth the money - £63 for soup and risotto with 1 house wine each.. There are no shops near the hotel so I would advise taking some stuff with you as the nearest shop is a bit of a drive. Breakfast was good - continental and hot food options with a nice view. The staff were lovely & helpful and we would return :)

    My husband and I visited this hotel on a Valentine's deal on the 10th Feb from the moment we got to reception till we left we couldn't fault it. It has all recently been refurbished our room was stunning with q lovely view of the Clyde. We had dinner here which was part of our deal there was a small mix up with menus but was quickly sorted with a lovely glass of presseco for the inconvenience the lady who attended to us I think her name was Angela she is an asset to the hotel such a smashing girl made our evening so special and made us laugh too. We then went to the gin bar which was lovely and cosy there was a wedding on some guests had came threw but it was a pleasant atmosphere. We retired to the room and what a great nights sleep we both had the beds were sooooo comfy I actually meant to look at the make and maybe invest in one lol. Of to breakfast we went and couldn't fault that either plenty to choose from loads of fruit ,fresh pastries,all sorts of cooked breakfast buffet style and got and yogurts etc so we were not disappointed incase sure I had my fill. We planned to visit the swimming pool as we had been before it had been refurbished the only reason we have a 4 out of 5 so itl probably be a 5 next time but the snow came on quite heavy and we knew we had a toddler to pick up so left before we risked being snowed in so maybe next time so I'd recommend this hotel not too far away from home but far away enough to relax and get away from it all hopefully we will get to visit again soon.

    Went on the dinner bed and breakfast deal which was very good value. Quick book in, lovely room then went for lunch where the only let down was the initial poor service . Waited ten minutes in the bar for the menu to be brought to us and the ordered drinks, gave up and went into the busier room where we served immediately . Food was very good , the spa facilities good , evening meal good , breakfast average . Excellent massage in the spa , so all in all worth the money .

    Me and my boyfriend had opted to stay at this hotel as we were going to a wedding at the establishment. We had booked the super king room with a river view. When we arrived to get to our rooms. It was a complete maze. There were so many twists and turns that I was surprised that we made it back to the room. This was he only negative thing about the hotel Our room itself was stunning. The decor was beautiful and well done and the room on its own had no faults. The bathroom was beautiful and the room was very spacious. The view was as promised. Stunning. The best part of the hotel was the bedsheets. They were like sleeping on clouds. I was very devastated to leave such comfy covers. I'm already trying to plan my next stay here and if you can I would definitely spend a night here.

    Came up from Newcastle. Had a lovely stay. Glasgow city centre 10 minute drive and Glasgow ice bar 8 minute drive. Lovely views especially when we went in heated outdoor hot tub spa facilities free when you book room. Very happy with our premier executive room queen bed large bath room. The only thing was my partner wasn't happy as they had fillet steak online menus but when went to restaurant they only had 2 other ones on menu so we settle for burger & fish and chip in bar restaurant. Would definitely recommend staying here overall very nice view and friendly staff. Thanks x

    We stayed here last weekend and enjoyed it immensely. All the staff we encountered were fantastic and went above and beyond to help. My partner didn't like the view from the original room we were allocated so she reluctantly asked to change if possible and there was no drama at all. In fact the member of staff took her to see the other room before hand to see if it was ok first. I'm not a Whisky drinker but Alan in the Dram bar went above and beyond to find a whisky i could enjoy and his knowledge of whisky was fascinating. We went for an evening meal the two nights we were there and the food was of a very good quality. The steaks and the risotto's were cooked to absolute perfection. wine was reasonably priced and was of a good standard. Breakfast could be a little bit better as there was no bacon and the coffee wasn't great (and at £16.99 I can say i've had better) but I'm being picky at this point as the next day it was cooked to order and coffee was better. Overall we'd definitely book again without hesitation.

    We stayed here for 4 nights for our wedding anniversary and had mixed feelings about our experience. Check in was a bit confusing as we had to move our car from the front of the building round to a back entrance. Room was fine and lovely and quiet but view was poor. We had dinner in the restaurant on the first night and were very disappointed, restaurant had a beautiful view but window sills and around base of windows was filthy as was the carpet. Food was ok but nothing to get excited about and the service in the bar afterwards was very poor. Staff were very friendly but not at all polished. Breakfast was ok but again staff were running in circles trying to sort any small request (ie) fried eggs. Upon check out we had a major issue, we had paid for the hotel through Best Western before we left home but at check out they had no record of this and therefore requested full payment again until we could forward them proof of payment upon our return home. After several phone calls from home we did get a refund in the credit card but I felt the hotel should have more contact with Best Western to insure this type of thing does not happen. A goody bag given at check out although much appreciated and a nice touch is totally unnecessary and the money would be better spent on staff training. Spa staff were extremely professional and friendly and we had a couple treatment which was really good and not too expensive. Hot tubs and pool area was nice but again a bit grubby and outdoor hot tub was not operating in one day of our visit. Steam room was not operating at all during our stay. We heard this hotel had been recently taken over by a new owner, well I think the new owner would need to do a bit of work and make full use of this beautiful hotels potential.

    Lovely room, friendly staff. Peaceful stay with beautiful views. However food lets it down. Stayed for 2 days and didn't have a hot meal once. Even breakfast was lukewarm. Had to wait quite a while after ordering. Restaurant was cold and not very atmospheric - better to eat in the bar if possible.

    My wife and I stayed here for a one night with dinner bed and breakfast included. This is a beautiful Hotel in a fantastic location with some stunning views all around no matter which way you look. The rooms are very clean fresh and have the best-known showers we've seen in a Hotel . Restaurant food is very nice where the staff were so pleasant and the view you had whilst having your breakfast was breath taking. We used the Spa too which was spotless and well kept again showers in Spa were great and Staff very friendly. In the morning we played golf on this stunning course which was well kept even though we've had rain and snow in recent weeks the Green keepers keep it very playable. Check in and check out was very easy and again the Staff were so friendly we will definitely be back soon and would recommend this Hotel to all people young old or families.

    We stayed here for 1 night back in Oct. family of 4 and dog. The hotel and room were great. Breakfast was a buffet in the morning. We went two at a time so the dog wasn't left alone which worked well. My wife and son were going to a concert at the hydro and found the train from Langbank to be convenient, whilst myself, daughter and our dog went exploring with the car. A great stay and would certainly book here again when we need a dog friendly hotel near Glasgow. Might have an upcoming trip to Millport and that being the case we will definitely be back to stay at Gleddoch.

    It was a wonderful stay. Ask for executive twin room nr 31 with views over the river Clyde and beyond! The breakfast was so tasty and warm. Great pancakes with maple syrip. The three course dinner was the best I had in a long time. The staff is so friendly and helpful. There was a fire alarm and the staff was so professional and efficient in evacuating all the guests. They made sure all the children were warm and safe until the fire brigade turned up! Well done to all of you.

    Stunning views of The Clyde, and Golf course but not my 'bag'. Arrival was confusing. No one to help us with luggage and all round a poorly managed hotel. Staff are lovely but need more training, restaurant doubles up as breakfast room complete with murky windows to view what is an amazing view of the area. Can someone just get a good window cleaner! An array of Fawlty Towers style service in the bar and restaurant, grubby dining room carpet where people had dropped food and no one had bothered to clear as they went by, disorganised dinner service. We booked for 8pm, finally got our table, yes we were a group, at around 9.15, so starters came along around 10pm. Not ideal. Overall, this hotel has undergone a new owner, who IS investing in amenities, but first, you must have a fully trained management team in place to execute your desire of a top notch Golf resort and spa. The annex in which we stayed was a short DRIVE from reception or you could navigate the stairs, corridors, more steps, more doors then eventually arrive at reception where the bar is stunning, but not well placed or used!!? A golf buggy would be a benefit to take people to this gorgeous bar from the annex! Reception area is lovely. Untrained staff but in appearance, lovely. Our room safe, along with other guests was faulty so we would all become aware the code was the same in each room! Such a poor show. And a security error! The rooms HAD been decorated to a very high standard, but electric wall heaters??? Really? All functional as a room to sleep but just not 'there' yet. Oh and I'm still waiting for my iPhone charger to be posted. Two weeks now! I'll just go buy a new one! So, as you'll gather, not my fave place, or a place that I'd return to. Sorry, it needs someone older than 17yrs old to be a manager and get things done!

    My husband and I stayed here last Tuesday evening and I can say it was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. We were very lucky and were upgraded, and for the cost, which was only £5 more than a city centre Premier Inn, there was absolutely no comparison. Our room was spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed, and good quality towels and toiletries. The views are magnificent, the decor very pleasing and the location, which is 5mins drive to motorway could not have been better. The little extras, free coffee and biscuits in lounge, goodie bag with crisps biscuits, fruit and a bottle of water on departure were a really nice touch. We will certainly stay again

    This is a lovely old house and typically it appears extended and extended further over the years. Lovely reception and bar in the main building however if your room is at the back you are looking a a very long, winding up and down journey to reception. The hotel has a lovely spa including a gym, pool and treatments rooms, I had a great swim and massage, a plus for this hotel. Rooms appear to have been refitted, modern and clean. Having such a lovely bar down next to reception its a great shame that there if no formal dinning room, instead the only restaurant is at the other end of the hotel, yep another walk to what is a very casual restaurant, the same place you have breakfast. I could not fault the food but on our first night we had booked a table for 08:30 and did not get our table until an hour later then our food was further delayed. I put my dry cleaning in early one morning for return the same day, despite chasing I never got it back, kept ringing reception no answer so another walk to reception the next morning to find it had no it been cleaned. This is a nice hotel for the money, the staff are all very pleasant friendly people but there is a serious management problem in the hotel, there appears to be no management present especially when the staff were in chaos serving dinner then breakfast the next day. For this reason I graded the hotel average, it could be very good if the service was improved.

    We had our wedding ceremony and reception here on the 2nd of Feb 2018 and I can not express enough how amazing the whole day was everything ran so smoothly the whole day was absolutely perfect. We had no issues the day ran in perfect time I honestly can't explain how thankful I am. The grounds of the hotel and the views are absolutely perfect and well kept, the rooms are to a high standard and the evening meals and breakfasts are lovely. The staff are absolutely amazing and will go out of there way for you nothing is to much trouble I was like to give a special mention to Rhona, Jordan and Anthony they were brilliant so friendly they kept me very calm during the day and made sure it all ran amazingly :-) I honestly can not recommend the hotel and its staff enough, anyone who is looking to book a wedding needs to do it here, the wedding package in my eyes is amazing value for what you receive. Once again thank you so so much for making our special day so magical you all do such a brilliant job and should be externally proud of yourselves Thank youuuu Leanne & mark Sheridan :-)

    I picked this hotel based on where it was, as i had an early meeting the following day in Port Glasgow, and i didn't like the look of the nearby Premier Inn. As i arrived around 4.30pm, the building looked very inviting, especially given the atrocious weather and the 6 hour drive i'd just endured. Check-in was quick, and friendly and i was soon in my room, which is exactly what you need after a long journey. My room was lovely; nicely furnished and impeccably clean. Same story with the bathroom. I went down to the bar, which is small but inviting, and had a pint and a chat with the friendly barman. As i was so tired, i opted for room service for my evening meal. The large flatscreen TV in the room made this task simple, as there's a menu function on the in-house TV system, showing what's available in the hotels Vista restaurant, or the alternative room service menu. After making my decision, i rang room service, and my meal was delivered promptly after around 30 minutes. I'd picked the Gleddoch bacon cheeseburger, with a chicken liver parfait to start. The parfait was nice and creamy, and was served with a small side salad, chutney and bread. The burger was huge, and served with a side of fries and salad. Unfortunately, the (very small) portion of fries was virtually cold, and the burger was a bit too firm and slightly dry. The cheese was congealed, and it just seemed like it had been re-heated. I've definitely had worse, but i've also had a lot better. Following one of the best nights sleep i've had in ages, in a bed that had the perfect mattress, the perfect quilt, and the perfect pillows, i headed up to the Vista restaurant for breakfast. The view is fantastic, even on what was a dull and snowy morning. My choice of Eggs Royale proved to be a great choice. Perfectly cooked poached eggs, on a fresh toasted muffin, with delicious smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce. Faultless. There was a minor over-charging mistake on my invoice when checking out, but this was dealt with speedily and professionally. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone, but maybe take advantage of those lovely restaurant views, as opposed to having room service.

    Had 9 days at this hotel while working at Bowling on the Clyde Estuary. Good hotel, but very spread out with lots of stairs to get to different levels / elevations. Not an issue to me, but noted some more elderly people finding difficulty and also getting lost in the hallways. Restaurant was good and the breakfast choice excellent with really fast and efficient service. My room was comfortable and fairly quiet. I use hotel gyms all the time and I found the gym here quite small with very limited equipment. All in all I had an enjoyable stay and will stay here again if asked to work at Bowling again.

    Arrived at the hotel on Saturday 30th December for 3 night Hogmanay and went wow as we arrived.. Check in was nice and simple. With Dram bar next to it, with a lovely reception room as well. Asked when the Dram bar was going to be open and was told it would not be open over the Hogmanay period, no reason given. Told to park in the top car park as room was in the new building. The room was beautiful with great views over the River Clyde. Went for a meal in the Vista restaurant in the evening, food was ok, not brilliant, but edible and tasty. The Masquerade ball in the evening being held in the Garden room. Arrived at 7pm to be greeted with a glass of Prosecco. Room was not that big for so many people arriving for the ball. A bit cramped. Told to go into the Garden room for our meal, seat plan was easy enough to read, so easy to find your seat. Informed by a staff member that a wine waiter would be around to take our wine order from the list of wines on table. After 30 mins nobody had appeared. So went up the bar, which had a huge queue as everybody else was doing the same. By the time we had ordered the wine and got it delivered to table the food had already started to be served. The food was very disappointing. Not much of it and not the best. Everyone had pre-ordered the food the week before. So no reason for this. The band started after the food was completed. The dance floor was tiny, probably 6m x 6m. 1st dance was Gay Gordons, not enough room for that. The people dancing were crashing into each other. The band however were excellent, playing and singing a really good variety of modern and 60's music. When midnight came, the piper came in and played, then outside for the fireworks, unfortunately, the rain had started. So a few people missed out on the spectacle. Went back into the Garden room till the band stopped playing at 1am. Next morning for New Years day Brunch, informed on the information sheet that there would be Bucks Fizz served with breakfast. Went for Breakfast and asked where the Bucks Fizz was and was told, we are not doing Bucks Fizz as we did it xmas day?? Fair enough we thought, should not have been on the information sheet then. We then went down to reception to ask about the New Year Luxury Buffett!! in the evening. Told it would be at 7pm in the Vista restaurant, no booking required. We then asked about the Bucks Fizz in passing and she said she would mention to the manager. We found out later that the Bucks Fizz was served after 11am for breakfast?? That day was a lazy day spent in the swimming pool and Spa. This place is excellent. Lovely large pool. Nice and clean. Steam room was not working, but never mind suana was good, jacuzzi was good, The mosaic heated recliners were fabulous, with great views over the Clyde. Evening of New Years day. The luxury buffett!!! Told to sit where we wanted and we would be taken, table by table up to the buffett. Fair enough, good plan. Got into the luxury buffett, plates were the size of side plates, maybe a little bigger. Sausages in Gravy, Chicken Curry, Sweet and sour Pork. A few bits of cold meat and the salad was only tomatoes!! The food was terrible, not a luxury buffett at all. The deserts were a bowl full of Profiteroles or mince pies. When asked for a spoon, the girl said you have to ask the waitress in the restaurant for a spoon. Before all the tables had been served they ran out of food, people had been going up twice or taking 2 plates as the single plate was not big enough. A lot of complaints about the food situation especially by the last 2 tables. If that was a luxury Buffett I hate to see what a normal buffett would be like. Anyway after the buffett we relaxed in the 19th Hole bar, which had been prepared for the nights ceilidh. The ceilidh band were excellent. Playing all the favourites with nice clear instructions how to do dances. The next morning after getting showered the lights went out. So we rushed down for breakfast as we knew there would be a finite amount of hot food. The staff did their best with candles being lit and using their mobile phone torches so you could see your food. And about 10mins or so after we started our breakfast, they ran out of hot food. No surprise there. Not the hotels fault. We could not check out so they said they would send us our bill. No problem there. We felt that the service provided by the staff was not the best, there was no signs of management anywhere to be seen. The staff had a very laizze Faire attitude. and definitely needed guidance. We wil probably return for a 2 night break in the future, but would never come here for a hogmanay break again. We were disappointed with the service the staff provided. The hotel is beautiful though.

    « Fantastic spa break with the girls! »

    Stayed with a group of friends on a fantastic value spa break on itison; £75 per person for dinner bed & breakfast with spa use & a back neck and shoulder massage. The rooms were lovely, super king bed in one of our rooms & 2 doubles in our other room. Rooms were modern & clean with good facilities. The spa is lovely with outdoor & indoor hot tub, heated marble loungers, steam room, sauna & pool. Seemed to be adult only which was great for a spa break. The massage was amazing. Food was very tasty, plenty choice & good quality. Only thing that the restaurant can improve on is the regularity of checking & topping up at breakfast but still plenty food to chose from. Hotel was easy to find. Definitely would recommend & plan to revisit.

    We stayed at this hotel for a one night stay using a 5pm deal which included room, dinner, breakfast and use of the pool. On arrival we were checked in quickly and also a reservation for the restaurant was taken. We had a junior suite room(No.65) situated above the reception area. The room was massive with a huge king size bed, wardrobe with built in safe, bathroom with shower in bath heated towel rail and free toiletries. There was also a small table with 2 comfy chairs and wall mounted large TV. The spa area has a free to use swimming pool, steam room, sauna and indoor and outdoor spas. Other treatments are available at an extra cost but we didn't use any of these so can't comment on them. The restaurant is on the upper floor and has fantastic views out of the windows that cover two walls. The menu we got was part of the 5pm booking we had made and was perfectly ok with plenty of choice you could order of the A la Carte menu if you wanted and you got £20 off your bill but as I said the 3 course deal meal was fine. After dinner we headed downstairs to the Dram bar for a few drinks. It is mainly a whisky bar but serves plenty of other drinks and anything they don't have there they will get you from the top bar next to the restaurant. Another reason to visit is to talk to Alan behind the bar as he is a font of knowledge on whisky and full of amazing facts. Breakfast in the morning was again excellent there was plenty of choice with both a continental and full cooked available with tea, coffee and fruit juice.We were very impressed with all the members of staff that we dealt with on our break and a big thank you to Mark and all the staff that helped make it a great night away. We will definitely be back again.

    « Nephews Wedding and overnight stay »

    Stayed at this hotel on 12th and 13th January to attend my nephews wedding which was being held at the hotel also. Room 36 was lovely very spacious lovely Elemis products in the bathroom and huge mirrored wardrobe plenty drawer space and lovely fluffy dressing gown and slippers in room also. Breakfast was of a great standard with hot items, selection of fruit, fruit juice yogurts. Our shower hose was faulty but this was soon rectified very promptly by the guest services manager Lee lovely caring person who managed to find another shower hose and fitted this and worked perfectly. The wedding reception was amazing the room was beautifully done out to cater for all the guests and the meal was lovely the evening buffet was lovely also compared to your normal sandwiches and sausage rolls. Check out was busy but again very efficient and got a lovely goody bag when leaving the hotel. Would recommend for an overnight stay.

    Stayed Sun 14th Jan at the Gleddoch hotel after my partner winning an overnight Bed and Breakfast deal. The last time I was here was probably 30 years ago,so was curious to see the changes. From the efficiently and welcoming Sarah Jane at reception to Paula at the Spa who managed to find me some strawberries for my prosecco ( thank you so much!) and the lovely Maxine who massaged my back, shoulders and neck to make me feel human again! The hotel as I remember has massively increased and the Spa is amazing, the fact that it's on my doorstep has made me vow to use this fantastic facility again. The outside (yes I used it!) and inside hot tub, pool,steam,sauna room are a must visit. Our room (43) was on a weird corner site but worked fine, Bed was massive and SO comfy, but view wasn't great but in January it gets dark quickly so no big issues there. The only thing ( and again it's only an observation) the Spa menu has hot bacon rolls on it ( amongst others) which I thought Kitchen should be promoting healthy eating ? But to be fair they are probably catering for the golfing market as well. Checking out was prompt and the Wee travel munchie bag was a lovely surprise ( Thank you Chris) To sum my review up Would I go back again? .... Definitely, Would I recommend? ... For sure... What was my highlights? .... 100% the staff ... Thank you and looking forward to seeing you all again soon

    We booked the hotel for a family celebration, unfortunately despite what has obviously been a period of great investment and effort will prove pointless if people leave the hotel feeling disappointed or underwhelmed. To say we were very disappointed is an understatement, when I booked the room I was informed there were upgraded rooms available in an elevated position with spectacular views over the Clyde so I paid the extra, room 18 has a very miserable view of the housekeepers storage hut. I raised my dissatisfaction to be informed the hotel was full no other rooms were available but that the manager would be informed of our issue. No contact was made by anyone and when I enquired on leaving no one seemed to know about it. We visit many hotels for short breaks and I can see real potential in The Gleddoch its position is beautiful and the facilities are of a high standard but it is lacking in general hospitality and guest services. The staff seem to be struggling to maintain pace with the developments and this will ultimately damage their reputation. The reception area is poorly laid out with guests having to stand in a doorway to book in if there are more than a few people at any time this has the knock on effect of people having to squeeze past other guests even before they enter the Hotel, by rearranging the reception to allow people to queue away from the door it would make that more comfortable welcoming and efficient. The food at the reception we attended whilst of reasonable quality was cold as was breakfast, the toaster kept breaking down and guests who arrived towards the end of service found it difficult to get anything at all. These are not unsurmountable problems but they amount to a disappointing experience and I for one did not feel it represented value for money, as I have said I believe the hotel has real potential to be a great hotel and spa but is really falling someway short at this time and I am afraid I would not be confident of booking again.  As mentioned I did raise my concerns at the time and sent these comments directly to the hotel but received no response which I suppose reinforces to me that customer service is not high on their list of priorities.

    I've been here twice now for a spa day each time, but haven't stayed in the hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the spa was. It offers lovely views across the water to Dumbarton from the outdoor hot tub and inside there is another hot tub, sauna, steam room and swimming pool. Staff are all friendly and we enjoyed some great treatments. I went for the salt scrub which smelled amazing. My only complaint is the restaurant staff are very slow. Each time I've been we have had to go and get someone to tell them we want to order or to order more drinks. They don't seem to hang around in the restaurant area and disappear for long periods of time. Apart from that I will be returning as the spa days are reasonably priced.

    I booked for 2 days whilst visiting my mother, I stay often as I just can't really fault it. The room was perfect , very clean, the right temperature looked fantastic. I had an evening meal, again staff were charming and the food to be honest was quite lovely. When using the leisure facilities I did notice the steam room was still out of use and the hot tub is still damaged as in other reviews- maybe waiting for parts? Pool was warm sauna was lovely. When I last visited the town I stayed at Mar Hall as Gleddoch was full, considerably more expensive and I have to say that for what I've just paid Gleddoch- you win hands down! Your team are just lovely- charming, polite and really friendly not over formal. I honestly enjoy every single visit here, it just never disappoints. And the little goody bag on leaving was such a lovely touch , I was really impressed

    « New Year stay - shockingly bad! »

    Booked my family of 5 adults for the New Year package for 2 nights DBB. We arrived to a large queue of people trying to check in at the one time. Why not allow people to check in earlier - everyone staying for New Year was told to check in at 3pm(?!) We were advised to go to the bar for the welcome bubbly and truffles as some of the rooms weren't ready, only to hear the barman moan that people were taking more than one truffle (seriously?) Once we got our room, we went to the restaurant to get some food. The family next to us had waited for an hour to be served, so we opted for the selection of nibbles. In the menu nibbles were stated as "olives, salted nuts and bread with oil and balsamic". I ordered them for 3 people. What arrived after 40mins was one bowl of olives and a bowl of nuts - no bread, no oil, no balsamic. When asked where the rest was, I was told, "Sorry we don't have any bread" I then waited another 20mins to be given cheese sticks instead with another bowl of olives. Waited at the bar for 15mins to be served for a drink, to be told no cranberry juice. On arrival for the new years eve ball, we were crammed into a suite for a drinks and canape reception. Went in for dinner to the Garden Suite, tables jam packed together. We were on a long table of around 20. Dance floor was the size of a postage stamp. Really claustrophobic and not comfortable at all. When you wanted out of your seat, you had to warn the person on the table behind you were about to pull out your chair. We asked the waiter for wine for the table - that took half an hour, and came without a wine chiller. We asked 3 times for a wine chiller to be told there were none left. Dinner arrived - starter was a plate of anemic looking salted smoked fish and tasted well, like a plate of salted smoked fish. Main course was billed as "beef fillet", what arrived was once slice of processed beef, and it was cold. Asked for it to be heated up. Waitress came back with a new plate of food... which was also cold. Dessert was billed as "creme brulee" - it was absolutely disgusting and inedible. Sent it back and had the chocolate dessert instead - equally disgusting. Throughout the whole night not one single dirty glass was removed form ANY of the tables. The elderly party next to us left after the meal, and their dirty dessert dishes were still lying on the table at midnight. No water on the tables - asked my husband to go to the bar to get some - he came back with a vase of water(!!?) - He was told by the barman there were no water jugs left, and the only thing he had was a vase. The band were mediocre, the dancefloor was inaccessible due to it being tiny. I reckon there were around 130 people in the room and a dancefloor that would fit 20 people. Next morning breakfast was plentiful but not hot - asked for it to be heated up. It came back with the plate heated, but not the food. Around 4pm we were in the bar, when a manager came in and started noisily re-arranging the furniture. We were then told we had to leave the bar as they needed to set up the room for that evening. I asked if there was somewhere else we could go to finish our drinks and was told No, you have to be out of here by 5pm. So we just went to our rooms. That evening was billed as "deluxe or luxury" buffet. Hot dishes consisted of macaroni cheese, sausages in gravy, baked potatoes and chicken curry. The rest was cold food. A deluxe buffet that does not make. Entertainment that night was the best thing of the whole stay there. That evening going to bed, my parents dropped into another lounge where there was entertainment - a female singer. She made a comment over the microphone about what my dad was wearing. This ended with her announcing over the microphone to my dad "I'd chew you up and spit you out" - absolutely appalling!! My dad was extremely embarrassed and left. Last morning we went for breakfast - there was a power cut (not hotels fault) , so we had coffee and toast by candlelight. On going to the reception to ask what was wrong, I was given a glow stick to see my way back to the restaurant. Very few of the emergency ceiling lights were working. This is probably the most shocking of all. I dread to think what would have happened in a rabbit warren of a hotel in the night if there had actually been a fire. We went to the spa after breakfast when the lights came back on. - steam room closed as it wasnt working - no handle on the door of the sauna (I've since learned that my neighbour stayed 2 months ago and there was no handle on it then either). Got into the indoor hot tub - head cushions covered in grime and not clean at all. The cover over the pump was cracked and filthy, and there was scum around the whole of the water line. - No life guard or staff around. The outdoor hot tub was working - a group of three went into it and were in it the whole time we were there (around an hour and a half) - even during the cleaning cycle. Couldnt wait to get home! - I complained before I left and was contacted with a standard letter which didnt make any mention of or address any of my issues. I was offered a complimentary overnight stay for 2, even though we were a party of 5. So if we did want to go back, pray tell, how do we decided which 2 of us out of the 5 get the stay, as we all experienced the same shocking service and all payed the same money? A beautiful hotel, which obviously has had a lot of money spent on it. Such a shame about the poor management of it, shocking service and food. It was such a huge disappointment when we were so looking forward to an amazing family time away at such a special time of the year.

    We stayed at the hotel for one night. Got married here 4 years ago and hadn't been back since. The room was expensive and not that special. The breakfast was ok but again pricey for what you get if you don't get a deal. We had to ask for the sheets on the beds to be changed as they were dirty and didn't. Not ideal. A complimentary drink might have been in order but at least we got an apology.

    Looked forward to a couple of days of relaxing with nice food and a couple of treatments in the spa. Room beautiful and very comfortable bed. Lovely views. Now the downside. Couldn't book any treatments as the "system was down". Steam room out of order, and outdoor hot tub covered, so the spa consisted of pool, indoor hot tub and sauna. Was advised by a member of staff that she would contact me when system was back up to book in for treatment. Never happened. We had booked for dinner, bed and breakfast, but the market menu on the first night had very limited choice(ordered steak at a surcharge). The next morning I asked the receptionist if we could have bed and breakfast on day 2 rather than dinner as we felt the choice was very limited. She checked with the reservation manager and later that afternoon assured us that there would be a different menu as "it was the first week of a new chef starting and a new menu is going live tonight". Same market menu that night and when I enquired about the new menu, the waitress brought the A La Carte menu. This had a bit more choice, but not much. We ordered from this(£20 extra). Overall we were very disappointed with our stay. When we were asked on checking out if we enjoyed our stay, I did point out the things I stated above. The receptionist smiled. No apology. Please don't ask the question if you have absolutely no interest in the reply. Lastly, why the goody bag when checking out. Packet of crisps, shortbread, bottle of water and an apple? Concentrate on getting the menu right and forget about goody bags.

    Hotel is always lovely, our room was fantastic & clean, also our meal was good considering there is so many to cater for, although the waiting staff could do with alot more experience we were seated with another party but while our mains had arrived and were virtually finished when the other party just recieved theres. My biggest issue was the fact that £50 was taken from my bank account without my knowledge (this apparently was in case of damages to room-which there werent) when i phoned and enquired i was told this was standard practice and would be returned 3-5 working days, we were under the impression card details were kept if needed and were certainly not aware of money taken out of accounts! Although it was refunded 5 days later. All in all we had a brilliant night and will return although il be more cautious over my bank details!

    We stayed on a DBB ITISON deal on 3 january. The hotel was busy and so maybe we didnt experience the hotel at their best. The room was in a modern annex to the main hotel, the room was very nice and we both enjoyed a good nights sleep. The facilities were a little disappointing as the steam room and latterly the outdoor hot tub were out of service. The dinner itself was lovely ( albeit very slow service ) . Breakfast on the other hand was a major let down ( hot food buffet very disappointing/unreplenished hot plates)

    Arrived about 3.30 from airport, check in from 3. Reception chaotic, small, full of folks who had all prepaid no rooms ready ?running a little behind today'. ?Go to Dram bar for truffle and fizz while you waited'. Jammed with people no one behind the bar. Eventually porter sticks his head in and notices, 5 mins later duty manager appears. Not enough fizz or glasses. Walk up to golfers bar past empty ice buckets and glasses lying in most nooks and crannies. Meet friends order sandwiches some hot, some cold wait for over an hour and wrong order arrives. Back to reception past glasses and ice buckets for room key. Try again for truffle and fizz. Still no glasses but a dribble of fizz in bottle on bar which disappears while waiting for clean glasses. Wine waiter started to pour new bottle into dirty used glasses. Eventually fizz secured in clean glasses. Black Tie Hogmanay Ball in Garden Room in prospect. 7 prompt for canapés and fizz. Arrive walking through the hotel as most guests did to find ante room jammed and fizz on a table at other end of room by the entrance from outside. No soft drinks on table eventually canapés staff say don't know if any available try the bar, fight back through jammed room. In line for bar when call comes to sit down for dinner. Black Tie all guests in their finery flamed up long dresses kilts etc. Garden room you have guessed it Jammed. Struggle to get to table and have to rearrange table to get seated. Serving staff struggled to get hot plates of food to guests. No table service for drinks. White Wine and Fizz bought from bar not chilled. No ice buckets available, walked past 2 after the event still in the same nook! Only 2 bar staff. Liberated a vase and got ice from the bar who needs an ice bucket. Food was tasty and hot. Not a great deal of it but chef did well. Even the band commented on the lack of space to dance. That did not stop them playing the ?Gay Gordon' which descended into carnage. Not sure how many they Jammed into the room could not stand up to count. Guests brought back empty glasses to bar as no one was collecting them but if you needed fresh, you've guessed it none available. Fine Piper at midnight and fireworks. All groups of guests were sat together in the black tie event e g they new the size of all the groups. New Year's Day breakfast buffet only tables of 2 or 4 not a problem just rearrange tables yourself, sorted. New Year's Evening Gourmet Buffet lets make sure we can have table for 6 in the eveningR reception say not a problem will pass onto banqueting, sorted. No chance first group of more than 4 grab it. We ask for our table of 6 ?sorry its gone'. Jammed onto a table for 4!! Room likewise Jammed. Kilpatrick Suit opposite about a 1/3 of the rooms hosts the buffet rest blocked of or laid with lounge furniture. Ice buckets now reinforced with more empty glasses remain in same nook that every one including staff walk past!!!! Gourmet Buffet: baked potatoes, sausage in gravy, chicken curry made with leftover turkey inc the stuffing, no one could tell the veggies and gluten frees what was what. When popadoms ran out they were replaced with haggis balls, that must have been the Gourmet bit. Cold table looked slightly better but who wants cold turkey at that time of year. No cheese knives or indeed any knives to attack the cheese. Supervisor could not leave her post for some reason to sort any of this. Sticky puddings, no custard or cream to accompany apparently not appropriate for a buffet, I think that goes for the sticky puddings as well. Profiteroles chocolate could not be liberated from the pots the catering supplier had delivered it in. Tray cakes were nice but more appropriate for a coffee shop not really Gourmet Buffet material. Staff did not know if they contained nuts at least 2 of the guests had nut allergies and the brownie did contain nuts. Asked banqueting manager for tea/ coffee said he would sort. Reminded him some time later. He took us to a table already laid up but covered with cotton table cloths. With a flurry he removed the table cloths. Their sat 3 small flasks, max 8 cups each. Asked about cups as none were on the table nor tea spoons, milk nor sugar. About 15 minutes later we got some stewed tea and coffee. Breakfast on the last day started encouragingly as they had left the tables the guests had rearranged them the previous evening. Got table for required number. The power cut that followed was not the hotels fault. Time for healthy rabbit food anyway. Final walk down through the hotel and yes the empty ice buckets and dirty glasses remained serenely undisturbed in their nook. Sat in the dram bar waiting for taxi back to the airport after 3 o'clock and hear ? sorry your room is not ready we are a bit behind today' coming from reception. As a Scot returning for my first Hogmanay in over 20 years this was an embarrassing experience. This establishment has a wonderful location, excellent facilities when not ?Jammed' and willing workers. It totally lacks communication, management and leadership. Somebody needs to grip this place and sort out the systemic failures.

    The suite had been refurbished to a high standard, with a sofa bed for our 6 year old daughter, we stayed in the same room the previous year and this was the third Christmas we have spent at the Gleddoch. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Christmas itinerary was enjoyable and our daughter loved it and the opportunity to go swimming every day. No doubt we will be back again

    Booked Gleddoch as a stopover hotel on our way home, but we will definitely be back for a family break away. Given the rate we paid it was exceptionally good value with quality furnishings, plush linens and nice pampering touches such as Elemis toiletries. Our room was quite "bling" but very well kept and our room was spotless (Helen from Housekeeping). We were given a complimentary upgrade so had stunning views over the Clyde and sparkling lights of Glasgow city in the distance at night. The children shared a good quality sofa bed and our bed was huge and very comfortable. The pool and hot tubs were a nice extra (again with Elemis toiletries) and the staff were very friendly and helpful - particularly the lovely lady maitre d'. We had room service which got a little mixed up as the restaurant was very busy but the manager was very apologetic and helpful and went out of his way to resolve. Thank you! The food was tasty and reasonably priced. Lovely to have discovered a hotel that is comfortable to stay in and doesn't break the bank. Next time we want a city break to Glasgow we will consider basing ourselves here as it's only a 20min drive away from Braehead and the city centre but is a great place to retreat to at the end of the day! We will definitely be back for a longer stay, and I look forward to trying out the treatments offered in the Spa. Thanks to the staff for such great service.

    Hotel is beautiful, the spa is so peaceful and relaxing. Some of the staff were friendly enough but others were really rude. We had dinner in the hotel and I feel we were overcharged extremely. Steak was terrible, wasn't even offered a steak knife, asked for chips and recieved undercooked chips. Asked for ice and was told they didn't have any. Lovely hotel but definitely would not recommended eating there

    We were very pleased with the Restaurant Market Menu on our first night and can say the general hotel facilities including the rooms were of a high standard. We were however disappointed that the first room we were allocated was overlooked by a window in another part of the building (room 56), Background fan noise from a Kitchen below (room 54) and fan and radiator noise (room 62).

    « Christmas Party night ...... what a difference a year makes! »

    Last year we attended a Christmas Party night and i slated it.... it was terrible BUT a year on and Gleddoch have done there best at making up for it and they invited us all back this year and we boldly returned and we were not left disappointed! We were in the hotel and the atmosphere from the outset was definitely everyone wanting a good night. The music was good, there was so much food i couldnt finish it and on the whole I couldnt have asked for anything else. A great night and credit where credit is due it was a super night!

    Great party night, DJ was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The views over the Clyde and Ben Lomond are fantastic. Never had time to try the SPA activities but intend to visit again. Rooms were clean and not to warm. It was a very pleasant stay.

    Booked this hotel for my partners birthday and must say that we had a brilliant stay. The room was spotless and well presented , there was no hairdryer in the room but we phoned up the reception and they brought it to the room in a couple of minutes. We didn't have any spa treatments but used the leisure facilities which were great, really relaxing. The water temperature in the pool was perfect also the hot tub inside was great, we also used the hot tub outside but only for a few minutes as it was really cold and the water wasn't the warmest. But all in leisure facilities were great and we enjoyed it. However , we didn't have our dinner at the hotel's restaurant as the menu choice was pretty poor there wasn't any traditional dishes. So we went to the restaurant Coast nearby which was great. I would also like to mention that there was a lot of stairs and no lift which was a bit of a struggle carrying bags. The staff were fantastic and very helpful, the reception at check out time was really busy but all the staff were really professional and polite. Would certainly recommend this place for people who are looking to relax and have a lovely cosy stay.

    The room was miles away from the reception and up lots of stairs with no lift we were left carrying heavy bags all the way. The room was lovely and spotless.The dinner menu had very little choice (no chicken dish available either) all meals were french dishes which we didnt want. At one point the staff left the dining room for 25 minutes. So it was very hard to order a drink with the meal as staff were not around. No one came to ask if the food was ok or if we needed anything else. Ordered steak medium but was well done. The sauna and steam room were not functioning properly and the outdoor hot tub wasnt working until late evening. Lauren in the spa was brilliant tho. Dont think i would visit again or recommend. I had visited the loch side hotel a few months ago and would say it was so much more enjoyable for the same price.

    On 03/12/17 Scott and I had our wedding at the Gleddoch House Hotel. We had booked the wedding 2 years previous. From the moment we booked our wedding, the staff could not have been more helpful. It did not matter how silly my emails were, Laura always replied and would do her best to accommodate any request that we had. We honestly could not have organised the wedding without Laura's help with the venue. On the day our wedding our coordinator was Jordan. Jordan went above and beyond to ensure that our day went perfect and that's exactly what happened. Laura was also present throughout the day and we both felt like they were our guests and not working for the Gleddoch, they felt like family. All the staff at the Gleddoch are amazing, friendly, approachable and work very hard. If anyone is looking for a beautiful location for their wedding please consider the Gleddoch House Hotel, or even just for an overnight stay. I honestly could not fault anything. Thank you so much for making our day perfect. 5 stars is not enough!!

    Great welcome on arrival at Reception/Spa great service, meal in the Vista Restaurant room was immaculate and spacious great sleep ?? in a very comfortable bed, Breakfast was plentiful then back to the Spa facilities with a late checkout ?? Big??from me ?

    I've just been up for the day and had the best day with friends for my birthday , we all had a back massage which was great spa was fantastic then afternoon tea staff were all lovely the place looks amazing and so clean can't wait to go back x

    Excellent time. Gleddock thought of everything. Fab overnight all pre booked didn't even need to go to the bar. Gleddock thought of everything. After night of festive fun, spa and chill in amazing relaxation room. Mince pies and homemade shortbread topped it off. Thanks to all x

    « Unhappy with the reception. No information given re meal times, pool opening, etc etc. »

    We arrived in the evening. We too k our luggage into reception where the person on duty asked for a credit card..gave us a key, very little information..then said get back in your car and go up the hill!!! We tried the next building up the hill but that was not where our room was..so it was back in the car yet again. The door to this annexe had a notice on it saying This door must be kept closed..but it was always open making the corridor freezing. The room was along a corridor and up and down stairs with a view of the car park . The room was spacious and clean but the walls paper thin. We had a party going on in the room next door till 4am. I did not use the spa as all treatments were fully booked. The pool was a good size but much too warm for me. The dining room at breakfast was very noisy and busy. The food was as expected though not very hot, the service good. We had dinner on the first evening and there were only three tables being used maybe it got busier later. Food was very tasty and well presented but small portions.

    Stayed for one night first thoughts it's a beautiful place,our room was ace spa facilities great outdoor hot tub as well. Spa staff really friendly and helpful.we then went for dinner where service was a bit weary,food was great (wine a bit pricy) Then after dinner bar closed at eleven but another bar might open we were told they would let us know(still waiting). Breakfast was really good but it was cold and the beans were put off as heater was broken we were told we will bring them out (still waiting )lovely place but few let downs

    Great hotel, staff friendly, breakfast very good. So much better value than the horsey place along the road, beats it in every way. Half the price too. 1 minor issue. We stayed in room 39 and the rain was very heavy that night. The gutters outside our room were overflowing and the noise was very loud. Get that sorted and all will be perfect

    « Work trip - wee retreat »

    Arrived on a glorious sunny but frosty day to a warm and friendly fabulous mini retreat. Lovely room which I was very helpfully taken to by a member of the team. He even pointed out quick way to get to restaurant. Relaxed in the room, meditating in peace which was wonderful. My evening meal in the Vista restaurant was absolutely gorgeous with an excellent Shiraz to accompany the venison. The restaurant was relaxed and friendly a la carte but the view from window seat over the Forth was spectacular. Only possible complaint was it was a bit chilly. Couple at next table raised the problem and the team sorted it out. After a very comfortable nights sleep and another lovely experience in restaurant for breakfast, I left Gleddoch Hotel feeling recharged and truly looked after. The wee packed snack bag to keep me going on my journey was such a lovely touch. I'm looking forward to going back with family to see if it's relaxing charm works again!

    Everything about the Gleddoch is great. The staff are warm and polite, the staff are friendly and attend to your needs, and the food is brilliant..And the pool is a great place to relax at the end of the day. I would highly recommend staying here

    My husband and I got married here 2 days ago and it was perfect! The setting is amazing, the views are beautiful, the food was 1st class, the staff were all fantastic and the day went without a hitch. From the moment we went for the first viewing we were treated so well by all of the staff. The ladies who looked after us in the lead up to the day were brilliant - thank you Rhona, Laura and Janette! I especially want to give special thanks to my 2 superheroes Rhona and Jordan. Rhona was amazing in the lead up to the wedding, nothing was too much and whenever I asked for something of her she gave me what I wanted and a little bit extra. On the day I would have been lost without her. Both my husband and I felt that any time we even said her name she appeared as if by magic - thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your care and attention!! Jordan, without you the day wouldn't have been what it was. Your presence was felt by everyone, you were on the ball and making sure all of the staff were in line and things went without a hitch. You were so supportive and attentive and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making our day the brilliant success it was. I could not recommend this venue and team are more highly. We are so happy we chose to marry here and we will be back A LOT in the future. Thank you all ?? x x x x

    Came to Gleddoch for a nice meal out with my boyfriend and we had such a great night. We were served by Heather who was lovely and could not have been more helpful. Food was amazing and was served in perfect time, not too quick or too slow. Mark the manager served us drinks and again was very nice and made sure everything was good. We will definitely be coming to stay overnight next time.

    Stayed at this hotel d. b+b a couple of months ago and it was splendid. Managed to secure a deal on Itison website for d, b+b. Room was lovely and spacious. Bed fabulous. Leisure facilities probably one of the best I have encountered at a hotel. Required to 'phone Reception and complain about the barking dog in one of the rooms. Staff nice. Having gone to the restaurant for dinner we were advised that "because you are staying on an Itison deal, you only get the "Market Menu". If you want, you can select from the T d'H menu for an extra £20 pp". Really? then that would take me back to the price I paid on last visit! A DEAL should be EXACTLY that. We ordered from the "Market Menu" as it seemed to be fine. Something for both of us. HORRENDOUS. Absolutely tasteless, cold and portions far too small. Asked waitress for extra bread portion to fill me up. Having gone back to the room to watch a movie, the dog had stopped barking but there must have been an elephant staying above us. Husband did not sleep because of this constant noise. I shall not be back.

    We booked through the itison deal (excellent value for money) as we seen on the internet the hotel had recently been renovated with a brand new spa. Upon arrival the reception staff dealt with an issue very discreetly which helped us as it had the potential to ruin our stay. Reception staff were all lovely which makes your stay worthwhile as a lovely manager gave us a mini packed lunch with some water, crisps and biscuits for our train journey home! There is quite a lot of stairs up to the rooms however it's definitely worth the climb once you get through them all as the rooms are gorgeous with plenty of space to relax. Bathroom is very similar to Cameron house with a cosy decor and wide bath to unwind in. Television has a wide range of channels and the beds were so comfy with enough pillows to satisfy anyone. Dinner was alright however service staff looked quite miserable and took forever to attend to us when the restaurant wasn't even busy. Drinks were slightly overpriced however this is standard in most hotels but there's a lovely bar next door to the restaurant with a pool table (no pool chalk though!!) Breakfast made up for dinner as you could customise your own breakfast with plenty of choice from continental, toast, porridge, fresh fruit and cereals. Views from the hotel are amazing which makes eating in the restaurant nicer. People complaining about the spa pool temperature need to get a life! Everyone we met also commented on how lovely and warm it was compared to other pools. Nice surprise to breathe a sigh of relief when you walk down the pool steps instead of chittering your feet off! Outdoor hot tub was also lovely with loads of light settings to choose from including a disco setting. The hot tub wasn't working when we came down the next morning so spa staff gave us complimentary passes which can be used for five months! Nice of staff to offer this to guests to make up for the broken hot tub as I'd imagine it would disappoint some people. Overall this hotel would be nice for couples as long as you're not disabled due to the steps! Highlight of our stay was definitely the spa, breakfast and playing pool in the bar however some pool chalk would have been nice (oh the things we moan about)

    Well where do i start? After a long search we found Gleddoch ticked the boxes. From start to finish the high level of customer care was a feature of the staff who made sure the day was planned and executed to our satisfaction. Booking and contact leading up to the event was excellent. The venue itself is excellent especially its position above the Clyde looking towards Dumbarton. If you get clear skies and sun then it is truly stunning. But the service makes it. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile. The table service at celebratory meal is to be commended. There is no waiting which in other venues may depend upon the menu choice being served, all menu choices are served to individual tables at the same time. Just one of the plus points. The only thing I would say is that there are a lot of steps stairs and climbing internal to the hotel. But there is an on demand buggy service which is both efficient and effective. All in all the venue contributed to what will be a day to live in the memory.

    « Lots of STEPS. More Steps. »

    Lots of steps (about 20) to get to the room. We asked how to get to the pool. They didn't say there were more than 50 steps up, plus 15 down, so 130 for the round trip. NO lifts. Was there an architect? If so, he was totally incompetent. The swimming pool was beautifully designed but the water was far too hot to swim. The waste of heat must cost the hotel a fortune. If you want breakfast, you still have to do the 50 steps up and back We could not face that again, so we ordered room service. It took the waiters such a long time to make the journey, that the food was cold by the time it arrived..
