Very clean room. Decent double bed that I could lay out in, I'm 6'6". Lovely view over the river. The staff were professional and extremely polite. Ate in the restaurant during the evening, the meal was excellent.

Beautiful surroundings just 20 min drive to the harbour. We have stayed here before because we felt safe and the food is always excellent especially if you are a picking eater. Rooms have every thing you need and clean and comfortable beds. We will definitely be staying again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Haven for Gluten-Free & Dairy-Free Diners! As someone recently diagnosed with both lactose and wheat intolerances, eating out has been incredibly stressful. However, my Sunday lunch experience at the Bridge House Hotel in Ringwood was absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the manager, Meg, and her wonderful team went completely above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs. I was able to enjoy a full, stress-free carvery complete with delicious gluten-free gravy and—to my absolute delight—a proper gluten-free Yorkshire pudding! To top it off, they didn't just offer fruit for dessert; I had multiple gluten-free variations to choose from, alongside vegan-friendly custard and ice cream. The Bridge house is on the edge of the river Stour. It has a warm atmosphere in the restaurant and an outside decking overlooking the river. We had the carvery. Excellent food at very affordable price. Staff were friendly, helpful and professional.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice clean rooms. Beds could be larger and comfier. Excellent food in the restaurant. Lovely venue with views of the river and wildlife. Only real complaint is the smoking. The entrance to the hotel has a smoking sand tray, and many smokers congregate at the entrance meaning you are forced to breathe in all the passive smoke whilst entering and leaving. In addition, they have smoking tables at the entrance/exit to the rear of the property going out onto the patio area where the same applies. The smoke also drifts into the restaurant and bar area, and is very strong at times. Not nice when eating a meal or standing at the bar to get a drink. I don't feel it's fair that guests should have to inhale passive smoke, and I hope this is something the management team reviews in the future. Would have been 4/5 stars if not for this.

We had a short stay here, for two nights, as we were visiting Brownsea Island. The hotel was quiet, well run and the staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed for a stay. I had paid for a king size room, but thought it was more of a double. There was an engagement party on the Saturday night, but it did not disturb our sleep as it was at the other end of the hotel. Cooked breakfast was as expected, but the cold breakfast could have had a greater choice of yoghurt, fruit, and cereals. The evening meal in the restaurant was enjoyable. The best part of the hotel is sitting out on the veranda at the back which overlooks the River Stour. We saw more wildlife behind the hotel than we did at Brownsea Island! If we are back in this area, we would certainly consider staying here again.

Lovely location, supper comfy bed and super quiet

Spacious room with king size bed and bath on ground floor right next to the river. I was so happy when I was given this room, it was exactly what I wanted, but hadn't asked for. This was a solo business trip, the only negative being that I should also have booked the Sunday night too and made the most of it. Room was beautifully clean and air conditioned but threw the windows open and turned it off to listen to the river and the wildlife. It was superb. Saw lots of wildlife (swans, moorhens, trout, little egret). The location of the hotel and the room added something very special to the stay. Ate in the restaurant, food good and staff pleasant and helpful, great ambassadors for the hotel. The water pressure in room was extremely good so enjoyed a lovely relaxing bath. Bed was very clean and comfortable so slept well. Enjoyed a beautifully cooked full English breakfast the next morning. Parking on site was secure and check in/out speedy. As a result will actively be seeking another business trip to Ferndown so I can stay again.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at the Bridge House Hotel again. We were given a downstairs room for Disabled people as my husband is awaiting a knee operation. It was ideal and everything was very clean as usual. All of the staff are so friendly, we will be back later in the year.

Bridgehouse hotel came galloping to the rescue when we were badly treated at a premierinn. Great hotel we have stayed in before right on the gorgeous river stour with wildlife galore easy parking and a more than delicious breakfast. Ask for a river view room and there is no noise from main road

Just another stay over, but this time just for the one night. As usual, the hotel staff were super efficient and friendly with it. On such a hot Summers day, how good was it to walk into our room that had the air con just right. On this occasion the extra £20 to book in early was so worth it. Reception welcoming, bar staff efficient and catering manager customer facing and always ready to help. I recommend you try a stay when in the area.

Check in / out was efficient and staff were all friendly. Plenty of parking available. We got upgraded (as a Best Western Platinum member) to a river view which was definitely a lovely surprise. The room was clean and very spacious, and the fact there was an air conditioning unit (during the hot weather) was such a bonus. Bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious. There was a kettle and tea/coffee provided (with a good selection of teas). Lovely location next to the River Stour. Saw swans, fish, and egret, dragon flies. Had a lovely late dinner overlooking the river and surrounding fields. Breakfast was a good variety of hot and cold options. Would recommend

What a gorgeous spot! Popped in here for a quick meeting, staff were very friendly, professional and polite, we sat in the club room which was quiet and ideal for colleagues to chat, we ordered two light sandwiches, ham and beef, which were both very tasty and hit the spot, there was outdoor seating too overlooking the river, plenty of parking at the back. What a hidden gem! Will definitely be back

Bit of confusion over our room when we arrived. I had booked a riverside king room but we were put on one of the rooms facing the road. Anyway everything was sorted and we enjoyed our nights stay. Breakfast was very good too. There was also very secure parking at the rear of the hotel.

Booked the Bridge House for my sister and her husband as they stayed there quite a few years ago. They travelled from Yorkshire so that we could have a family reunion. Their experience at the hotel was excellent, lovely Classic King Room Number 111, amazing outside sitting area, very considerate and helpful staff. Value for money in a good location.

Always feel welcome here, we visit close family regularly from Norfolk knowing our stay will be a welcome experience. The location is just right for our family in Ferndown. Hope to be back for Christmas visit.

Good location with easy access and a secure car-park. Made welcome at reception despite our late arrival. Clean, well-equipped room with a great view, peaceful night and a good breakfast, all at a very reasonable rate.

Absolutely wonderful location in its riverside setting. We saw a heron, an egret, several ducks and little ducklings. Our disabled room, no.108, was fine with its riverside view except the bathroom mirror was far too high for a person ion a wheelchair. Breakfast choices were admirable and the staff friendly and approachable.

If like me, your initial view is how clean and the excellent layout of the public rooms. Our room was very clean and looking out of our window, we saw the most beautiful view of river.

We made a very last minute booking for lunchtime on Monday 13th April. We had a very timely (within 15 minutes) confirmation from Samantha D, along with some helpful information. I'm deaf, and all my interactions with staff, either as a result of the information I provided in my email, or as a result of them seeing my hearing aids and lanyard, showed tactful accommodation of my communication needs. There is a large car park at the rear of the building, with some parking, including accessible parking bays, at the front. We'd not visited the Bridge House for some time, and took my Mum for her 90th Birthday. We'd not apprised the hotel of the reason for our visit, yet they clearly saw her opening her birthday cards at the table, which lead them to bring out a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate with a strawberry after our meal; a clear indication of attentive and observant Front Of House staff. We had two carveries, and one gammon and chips. Food was good quality, well presented, and we feel represented good value for money in exceptionally comfortable and relaxing surroundings. Service was swift, polite, friendly and efficient. As it was sunny outside, we spent time on the decking after our meal, before walking over the bridge to the island, to see the swan. Overall, a thoroughly pleasant experience right the way through, from booking to paying the bill.

Lovely room overlooking the river and simple but perfectly cooked dinner from the specials menu. Also received a free drink as a Best Western reward.

This delightful hotel is conveniently situated near close relatives. We travelled Easter Saturday 4th April, anticipated thick traffic but sailed through. Arrived at the hotel around noon. No booking for lunch but we were 'squeezed in'. Two delicious courses later, our room was ready (despite not having asked for 'early checkin'. Our room was comfortable, clean and perfect for our short stay. We did request accessible room and it was! Staff in the restaurant, at reception and generally, were very helpful and cheerful. Well done. We wouldn't hesitate to go back.We didn't ask for a change of pillow, as we didn't try using it until gone midnight, so perhaps there would have been another option. It could have been done with being a little softer. Otherwise, excellent.

We stayed for a couple of nights here in room 108, a wheelchair accessible room on the ground floor overlooking the river. Being just the other side of the bar, we were a bit concerned that it would be noisy, but we heard nothing at all and the views across the river from our room were stunning. The room was cleaned to a high standard and the bathroom had grab bars around the toilet, a roll in shower with well placed grab bars and a removable shower stool, plus plenty of room to manoeuvre. The toilet itself was quite low, but the hotel do offer a raised toilet seat if requested. Breakfast was plentiful and varied, although it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit alongside the sweetened mixed berries. We would definitely return if in the area

We returned to The Bridge Hotel as it is a place we use when visiting the area. As usual, the Accommodation is adequate for what we require and is located next to and over looking the river Stour. The rooms are clean, well serviced and in particular have independent controlled, walled mounted heating units. Room rates are competitive and there is a good bar and dining area. The staff work as a team and are efficient and friendly. As we were attending a 50th birthday celebration, we made some noise in the function room, but hopefully not to the detriment of other guests. There were no complaints that got back to us. To sum up there is a very pleasant atmosphere with this place that makes us want to return and we will do so.

It was very easy to book the room. Check in was fast and the receptionist was very pleasant. I had a complimentary room upgrade which I very much appreciated, as the view of the river was lovely. The room was very clean, had everything needed and the hotel was very quiet. The only reason I marked it down was due to the bed, although it was comfortable I could feel the springs in one side of the mattress. Pillows were very good and the linen was good quality. I was happy with the quality of my stay especially at the reasonable price.

We were at The Bridge Hotel for my brother funeral and everything was perfect. The Riverside Suite was a wonderful room. The Buffet as good as it could be Staff Fantastic nothing seemed to be to much trouble Evening Meal was good with the waiting staff and bar staff as good as you will find anywhere Rooms a bit dated, but very clean and well maintained. Just to finish off The Breakfast was a first class Breakfast All this in a really great setting with views over the river....Perfect!! Thank You to all at The Bridge Hotel that made our stay as good as it could have been!!

We were greeted and treated with friendliness and excellent hospitality throughout the 4 night stay. Our room was spacious, spotless and perfectly comfortable with a stunning view over the river. We enjoyed observing the resident cormorants and herons over a delicious buffet breakfast. The carvery on Sunday was magnificent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning again. Although we were working all weekend, our experience at the hotel was really relaxing, which is thanks to everyone who worked to make us feel so welcomed and accomodated.

A warm welcome, an excellent room, good food and a good choice of drinks. Perfect again for a business stay. I love that this place has so many homely features and after a very long drive and a day of meetings is the perfect place to unwind. Keep up the good work. A very warm welcome we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Mas at front of house was so attentive, caring welcoming, it felt as if we had stayed before but this was our first time and won't be our last. All the additional staff followed in the foot steps and all very professional and polite. We had lunch and breakfast in the Hotel which was lovely. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and we had a really good night's sleep. We are looking forward to going back.

As usual the staff went above and beyond . Our arrival was seamless, room with heating on and curtains drawn , side lights on A real welcome as usual . On departure the next day , a member of staff came to our room and said we could stay after 11am until our taxi came for the airport . Such a kind thought .

Excellent stay at a very reasonable price. Room was well prepared and we enjoyed an upgrade. The staff were attentive and very pleasant, also they seemed to be enjoying working there, could sense an atmosphere friendliness amongst them. Views out the back of the river Stour were stunning with many different birds in and on the river.

We stayed over New Years to visit friends. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the air-conditioning was unusually quiet and efficient. There were plenty of spaces in the car park, and it had a gate system at night which added extra security.

Very enjoyable stay. Rooms were very clean, good choice of food and drinks. Staff were very good and attended to our needs in a quick and efficient manor. When we returned from our holiday we stayed for a second night. We were given a room at the front of the Hotel and did find it a little noisy from traffic going by so when we stay again we will upgrade to a room located at the rear of the Hotel. Enjoyable stay will return again.

We always stay here when visiting family in Ferndown, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is lovely and well worth the money our family usually join us on the last day for breakfast. The rooms are equipped with a kettle with tea and coffee there is also an iron and ironing board which is handy. We stayed in a King riverside view room this time and it was lovely will definitely choose that again. Plenty of parking at the hotel too.

Visited again as our son has moved house a few days ago and we always stay here as we have always had a lovely time. All the staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Of course Megan, the manager helps make everything run smoothly. Shame about the non stop rain though!

Stayed overnight and used the bar and restaurant facilities, and I can say that this place did not disappoint. There is secure car parking available behind the hotel and plenty of space. Check-in was super easy and efficient. Our room was nice, not overly fancy but comfortable with a double bed, tea and coffee facilities, a TV, and a nice en-suite bathroom. We used the bar and restaurant and enjoyed a three course meal. The food was lovely and staff super attentive. After a good night's sleep, we enjoyed a fantastic cooked breakfast with coffee and juice. The location is excellent and especially the views out the back of the hotel. Being right on the river we watched a lot of local wildlife. Overall, the staff were really friendly and welcoming and we would recommend this place and hope to return if down this way again.

We arrived early and decided to go and have a light lunch but to our surprise when we had finished we were told our rooms were ready. A lovely room overlooking the river with tea/coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board. Air conditioning/heating. The bed was quite comfy. One thing the light on the air condition long unit was quite bright so if you can face the window We attended an 80th birthday party for a close family friend with my parents and the staff were brilliant. Super friendly. The food we chose was great. My husband especially liked the honeycomb crunch icecream for dessert!! The barman did a great job as the most of the time he was on his own and we had quite a few cocktails for him to make We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back when we are down Dorset way again

All the staff were extreamly helpful and went over and above to ensure our 80th birthday event was made even more special. Megan, Mike and the team made us feel extreamly welcome and the service was exceptional

An excellent experience from first check in until departure. All the staff were great, happy and helpful. We were there for a dinner dance and the food was plentiful and very good. Our room was on the smaller side (our choice) but everything was tip top including a beautifully fitted bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was equally good. Parking was secure.

Late night check in after midnight, extremely helpful man on reception. We hadn't realised there isn't a lift and our room was upstairs and he carried up a very heavy suitcase for us. Spotlessly clean room with comfortable beds and efficient modern style bathroom. Good breakfast with plenty of choice. This is a gem of a hotel if flying out of Bournemouth Airport and requiring parking, it offers a great deal. We'll look forward to coming again next year.

Stayed at Bridge House Hotel the night before a flight. This hotel is a Gem of a place from the moment you arrive with plenty of parking. Reception desk greet you with a warm welcome, we had drinks in the bar / restaurant area which is reasonably priced. We were given an upgrade which was a lovely surprise. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, fresh ingredients. This Hotel is clean comfortable and value for money. Would stay again.

We went to The Bridge House Hotel on 19th October for a Sunday roast. We were served by Safir [hope I've spelt that correctly], who made sure we had every thing we needed. Another member of staff, Storm, noticed that one of our party is on crutches and immediately came to help her add sauces and carry her plate to the table. We understand that both these people were new starters on their first shift, so, well done and thankyou. A shout out for the management and other staff that worked hard and efficiently to make it a very enjoyable lunchtime experience.

Great stay, perfect location overlooking the river close enough to Bournemouth airport without being affected by it. Free parking for a week abroad, with security cameras overlooking the car park. Very friendly staff, accomodating a check-in from a very late flight. Large comfortable room with tea/coffee facilities, very nice full english buffet breakfast. Will use again for the Bournemouth area.

Hotel personnel and room 4 stars, staff friendly and rooms modern and clean. I have been staying at the hotel for many years as the company I work for is in Poole and I collect the Best Western points, but the thing what lets the hotel down is the restaurant. The menu never changes other than the price, it's got to a stage I don't need to read the menu. But my most resent visit has caused me to do the review. I had the chicken which was over cooked the presentation was poor, for what I paid I expect more. The honeycomb desert was literally ice cream with a flake ( I guess they ran out of crunchy bars) £7.00 for this, The chef needs to get his act together showing more TLC in the preparation of the food and change the menu. Restaurant 2 stars.

There was a problem (my fault) with the booking which was resolved immediately by the receptionist who went above and beyond to ensure our stay went smoothly. The room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Would not hesitate in recommending this hotel for great customer service and excellent value for money.

I'm writing on behalf of the eight golfers who stayed at the hotel, as we are all of the same option. The staff (reception, bar, and restaurant) were very helpful and polite during our two night stay, the evening meal was excellent with all courses being very enjoyable. We would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting the area. (especially if playing the near by golf courses)

Our first night was NOT good - after several hours of banging pipes we eventually got some sleep! I made a complaint to reception in the morning, advising that another room away from the noise, could not be offered' Maz on reception was very apologetic and continued to offer us another room, that was now available away from the noisy area. Throughout our conversation Maz was the epitome of customer service, listening, calming and sympathetic towards us in a non patronising way? We had a few issues with our room, however the duty manager, Megan, certainly pulled out all the stops to resolve our problems and then some. It is a very popular hotel in the area for group events, but there is plenty of room, and staff available to not make this not an issue for individual guests. The food is good pub grub, and good sized portions. The staff certainly are the highlight of this hotel, from a lovely greeting in reception, to Megan and Mick, duty managers, and Teressa at breakfast. We will be back

We booked a riverside room and we certainly didn't expect it all to be so beautiful. Perhaps our expectation were a little low, but we had travelled for hours and all we wanted was to sit down somewhere quiet with a coffee. The bar was open, the cappuccino was amazing, the staff friendly, the club room comfortable with a peaceful enchanting view of the River Stour and their private island, complete with a family of swans. From there, it got even better because for some reason I didn't full understand, we were upgraded to an upper room with a Juliet balcony over the river. We had intended to find somewhere locally until our room was ready but we couldn't imagine anywhere better to chill out and our room was ready hours before 3 o clock, which was excellent. We didn't go anywhere, especially with Doom Bar on tap! When the rest of the family arrived we enjoyed the outside, with fish teeming in the river, and the children playing on the grass. That evening, the meal was just exceptional - we had the hunter's chicken and then a sweet, so what's not to love! After a lovely night's sleep and a tussle with the shower-head, we went to breakfast. We have not seen such a spread in a British hotel, all server hot, and a toasting machine which actually works! Very friendly staff both at reception and in the dining room. It was very nice to be able to walk onto the island next to the river and watch the swans.

Unable to find a fish & chip shop open on a Sunday evening, we called in here and were immediately attracted to the carvery. Three choices of meat ( I had the turkey and beef) 4 very large slices. A good choice of veg, including a healthy helping of cauliflower cheese. After we ate we enjoyed a drink on a warm summer evening out on the deck, what we saw was really delightful, a young heron fishing near the waters edge, a single swan, and the river Bourne absolutely teeming with fish. You couldn't wish for a better setting to enjoy a quiet drink on Sunday evening.

I booked 2 rooms and they were next to each other and we managed to book in early and all the staff were very helpful and friendly well done we've been there a number of times and will continue to do so thank all at the bridge house hotel 🏨

I found the room lacking in the basics. I'm used to staying in premier inns, you know what you're getting with a premier inn. On the face of it, the Bridgehouse looks very nice, and I was given a complimentary upgrade, but when you get into the room you realise it's not quite so good. The first thing I noticed was my bedroom door (200) didn't self-close, I had to push it shut each time and it was very noisy, as though I'd slammed it hard when I hadn't. On the plus side, The room was clean, the air con was on, so the room was lovely and cool. But as I started to unpack I noticed there's a huge lack of shelving both in the bathroom and in the room itself. I used the folding suitcase rack as a shelf. But what if there's 2 of you sharing the room? Then what are you supposed to do? I couldn't reach the big shelf above the handing rail so that was a waste of space. Next the bathroom, the cold tap spindle was loose, there was a big gouge out of the bath, the hot water wasn't hot even at 15:00 hours in the afternoon, there was nowhere to put my toiletries and makeup bags other than on the floor. A thin glass shelf was mounted over the toilet that had 2 drinking glasses on it. Why put it there? It's very unhygienic to have drinking glasses by the toilet and it wasn't close to the sink. Why wasn't the shelf by the sink? Why weren't there proper shelves by the sink to put your toiletries on? The mirror above the sink was mounted too high (I'm 5'5) and I could just about see my face. I had a shower, the water was warm - cold - warm - cold, it didn't do hot. then I go to dry my hair and there's no hair dryer, I looked in the tiny desk where the kettle is and it's not in the drawers, I looked in the bedside drawer there's a Gideon bible but no hairdryer, it's too small a drawer for a hairdryer anyway, so I have to get dressed and go to reception to ask for a hair dryer to be told it's in the unit by the kettle, I said I'd looked there, she said it's in the bedside drawer, so I go back and find a tiny folding hairdryer at the back of the bedside drawer. Next, there's no socket by the big mirror to plug it into and there no socket by the tiny desk to plug it into either, unless I want to get onto my hands and knees and crawl under the desk which I physically couldn't do to unplug the kettle or a lamp to plug it in. So I had to plug it into the one next to the hanging rail and keep walking over to the mirror to have a look at my hair. There's also no USB sockets in the room. Th bed was very comfortable. But if this was an upgraded room I'd hate to see a basic room. The room has been very badly designed. Just those simple things like shelving and sockets next to the mirror should have been done. I also noticed all the fire doors were desperately in need of maintenance, every bedroom I walked past the door was warped or cupped and had excessive threshold gaps, the staircase door did not close flush to the frame and you could drive a bus under the threshold gap. It had leaky hinges too. Staff were wedging the doors open which was causing the warping and cupping damage to the doors.and the ground floor of the fire escape staircase was being used as the cleaners storage area. I'm retired fire service so I tend to notice these things. The breakfast was basic, eggs were rock hard, mushrooms were tinned and dried up. Tomatoes weren't cooked, the sausages and bacon were very nice. There was only basic filter coffee available and the cups were tiny, really tiny, I like a milky coffee so once the milks in there's no room for any coffee with these cups. Why can't you provide proper mugs, why do you have dolls house sized cups in this day and age? There were no staff around to ask either. Then the fire alarm goes off because a bit of bread had got stuck in the toaster. Why do you have a smoke detector right above the toaster? You need to change it to a heat detector. The way the staff dealt with it, it seemed to be a daily occurrence, no one evacuated and the alarm was silenced. At checkout out I mentioned the bedroom door not self closing and the receptionist looked at me like I was talking a foreign language, I told her it's supposed to be a fire door that self closes, she snapped at me, ok I'll get someone to take a look at it. From a business continuity point of view you need to get your act together, your insurance won't cover damage caused by poorly maintained fire doors. Sorry Bridgehouse I'm just going to book into the premier inn next time, they're much better value for money have proper cups, a better breakfast and the room facilities are by far superior and they maintain their fire doors and keep their escape routes clear..

Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food in the restaurant and not overpriced. We had a lovely room overlooking the River Stour which had a host of wildlife. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Although I had a room on the street, I slept very well Next time I will bring my diving shoes to swim in the very clean river flowing next to the hotel. River is full of fishes and wild life, the island is amazing!

I first visited the Bridge House over three years ago, and it has consistently been my preferred destination for rest and relaxation. My father and six-year-old grandson also appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of this unique retreat. Over the years, we have stayed and dined at the Bridge House on multiple occasions, and even when choosing alternative accommodations nearby, we regularly return to dine here. Until February 2025, both the hotel and its staff met all our expectations. Unfortunately, during that time, I experienced an incident involving a staff member that left me deeply distressed and reluctant to return. I addressed the matter with a manager, who offered a sincere apology and proposed a favourable arrangement for a future visit. Although I appreciated her gesture, I found it initially too difficult to consider returning. However, my family and I continued to miss the Bridge House and its welcoming staff. On the occasion of my grandson's sixth birthday, I sought a special way to surprise him and decided to contact the manager. She once again extended a generous offer, prompting me to make a reservation. Our recent visit was very enjoyable and felt like a homecoming. I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff for their warm hospitality and for ensuring our stay was excellent. xx

Very friendly staff and excellent food as well. The room was adequate but I wish there was more coffee and tea in the room so I didn't have to keep asking at reception.

We hired the function room at the bridge house this weekend for our wedding. Our day was made absolutely perfect from start to finish. Staff were brilliant, everything was taken care of and all went smoothly, we didn't have to worry about a thing - we just enjoyed our day. Megan was fantastic helping us to arrange the day, her communication and planning are outstanding, we felt very well looked after. Mick was with us on the day and ensured everything went to plan, nothing was too much. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a stress free, beautiful wedding reception, with amazing food and lovely staff.

Warm and friendly greeting on arrival. Room was lovely and cool as the air-conditioning was already working. The staff were more than willing to help of on any problems. Food in the restaurant was to a very high standard and so way the breakfast.

Short notice Friday night booking as our hotel in Wincanton had no power,due to a large fire nearby.Have stayed here before and was very pleased to discover our room now had controllable Air conditioning fitted.On a hot day this was very comfortable.

When we arrived a lady was at the desk, but ignored us whilst dealing with what she was doing. An acknowledgment of I won't be long or someone will be with you shortly would have been much better. Two young ladies were nearby chatting, then a gentleman finally greeted us well, the roast dinner was amazing and our young server was good.

We have stayed on many occasions when having early flights or very late returns. Restaurant is perfect for breakfast or dinner. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the staff very pleasant. What not to like?

Great air conditioning in the room. Comfortable bed. Nice view. Cooked breakfast was hot. I didn't see any pastries such as croissants etc for breakfast which was disappointing. Lovely terrace to sit at and watch the river.

Beautiful location. Really impressed with room overlooking the river. Everything very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic. Staff were very attentive. Used this as a bed for the night as attending a wedding nearby. Will definitely come back to take in the full experience this hotel has to offer.

Although the hotel is on a main road, we booked a room on the other side, overlooking the river. It was lovely looking out and seeing the swans & geese. The decking area is a perfect place to sit and enjoy a drink, by the river. The room was airy, nicely decorated & having a bath & shower was perfect. We stayed on the hottest week of the year & the aircon was a real boon! Staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was very good and they accommodated my picky breakfast requests. We ate in the restaurant one night & although a fairly limited menu, we enjoyed our meal. The 3 nights for the price of 2 was a very good deal. We would definitely stay there again, when we are in that area.

Very basic hotel. No niceties in the room - not even any biscuits. No wardrobe. Bathroom shower very old fashioned and hard to control (via the bath taps). We don't mind a breakfast buffet but believe tea and coffee should be served. Teapots were not even provided just small cups and make your own tea bag tea - as a result we had to get up and down frequently. Not a relaxing experience.

What a beautiful bit of tranquility. I could not have been more thrilled with the location and the view from my window was breathtaking. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, I had trouble with my mattress but it was swiftly dealt with. The linen is crisp and comfortable. Rooms Spotless and the bar/restaurant area convivial. I had great fish and chips and will most definitely be back. thanks for a great stay.

Clean hotel. Friendly staff. Great food. As a guest to the country, it was a great experience. We were visiting the country to see our friends get married. This was a great place to stay and we felt welcome every minute. If we are ever able to make it back, we would happily stay here again.

Everything was perfect Mick and his team in the restaurant were wonderful ,The two meals we had were very tasty , Lunch and Breakfast All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The view of the Stour river was enjoyable , with lots of birds. The room was clean and comfortable,

Ease of check-in, a sound sleep, plenty of blue badge parking, disabled accessories available on request, location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast choice. Location convenient for Poole ferry port, saved us a two hour journey home after docking at 10.15.

As a stop off on a road trip, the hotel was in the perfect location. It is on the main road, which concerned me a little. Our basic standard room was in a stone's throw from the road, but it was very comfortable and there was little noise from the road. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was lovely. Breakfast was a little basic, could have done with a little more choice, but we had what we wanted to eat Would consider staying again

We hired the Club room for my grandmother's wake recently and the staff were simply wonderful. We arrived earlier than planned but they got to work so teas & coffee were flowing. We had arranged for food too, which was all very nicely laid out, good selection and plenty of it. The staff were so kind and helpful and really made a sad occasion much easier and hassle free. They even took time to speak with my 92 year old grandfather which he and the family really appreciated. The staff are a credit the venue lovely and service was wonderful. Thank you so much.

I stayed for one night on business, the room was clean, tidy and comfortable, albeit a little basic. Breakfast and evening meal were fine with plenty of choice. Quiet restaurant too with plenty of seating. Good base for working and getting around the area.

Nice room , food in restaurant was amazing, bar staff we attentive, on tap drinks were well kept.All the staff were fantastic very helpful and friendly. Location was very picturesque. This hotel is an idea location for flight from Bournemouth International Airport, we would definitely use this hotel again.

Room was above the main entrance and with it being a Saturday night, was noisy when a large group left at around 11.30pm. Annoying as I had an early start in the morning. Also meant cigarette smoke came through the windows easily. Main road was quite busy throughout the night. Room was ok, kettle was dirty. Bathroom ok. Generally quite dated and looks to have been repaired many times before. Shower didn't work properly. Walls were very thin. Unfortunately, could hear a man snoring in the room adjacent. Overall would not return. I do appreciate some of these comments aren't the fault of the hotel, but with other options in the area, I feel there are better options. It feels like a hotel somewhere in between a Travelodge and Premier Inn.

Friendly & efficient staff. Excellent dining. Room clean & pleasant with lovely view over island & river. Easy parking. Conveniently sited for visiting New Forest & other places of interest around Poole & Bournemouth. All in all a great place to stay.

I recently hosted a private Lightworkers Lunch in the Riverside room and it was fabulous! The food was great, the carvery was well presented and kept freshly topped up. The staff were attentive and discreet and helped to make everything run very smoothly. I shall be using this hotel again! Thank you.

Clean and modern hotel with a nice bar, good food and very friendly staff. Lovely views at the rear of the hotel, a great way to pass time on the decking there. Good fast free Wifi. One improvement; When the no-room service sign is used, that is great, saves washing towels and linen to save the environment. However, the room should still be topped up with milk, coffee and clean mugs, which it wasn't. Small point, but important. Overall would recommend without hesitation, and I will stay there when next in the area.

The cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. Attention to detail from the house keeping staff was so good to see. The family run atmosphere throughout made for a wonderful two night break. The food was well presented and delicious. A pleasant surprise to find reasonable prices in the restaurant and bar. A perfect base for day trips around Dorset with a free car park at the rear of the hotel covered by good quality CCTV. We did have a problem with rowdy neighbours on our 1st night and after another badly sung verse of 'Robert De Niros Waiting, talking Italian' I was very very grateful for the intervention of the night manager. Superb staff, great location and definitely recommended.

lovely clean room, excellent breakfast, with plenty of choice and good quality of products. No biscuit on the coffee tray!! Its a good idea to have some sort of shelving unit near the shower, nowhere to put soap, shampoo etc, other than that it was a good stay

where to start? What a fantastic experience. This very friendly Best Western Hotel is located right on the river. We opted to upgrade our rooms and so we looked out on the river flowing past spotting nature all day. There were elegant swans, ducks, herons and I even spotted a kingfisher. Opposite the hotel on the far side of the river is an extensive nature reserve which we walked in several times during our stay. The staff were warm and welcoming. Great bathrooms with great towels. Very active restaurant and bar and it was very easy to get served at the bar for drinks teas and coffees. Parking looked a bit tricky because it looked like it was out front but actually there is a huge carpark at the back of the hotel with no problem parking at all. We loved the soft muted decor on the sense of quiet efficiency. It really was a fantastic stay. We will be back.

We popped in for coffee at 10.50am. A young lady (obviously a supervisor or manager of some kind) asked me if she could help me. I asked for a flat white and was instantly refused because the bar did not open for another 10 minutes. This irritated me as there was a member of bar staff already behind the bar not appearing to be doing or achieving anything and, the supervisor lady herself could have used her initiative and served me! In these times of extra national insurance and minimum wage additional costs, I would have thought that selling was a key factor in trying to make a profit. We had a look at the river and then left disappointed.

We were attending an evening meeting and needed a small snack before hand. We asked for a table for two and opted for a starter each. Mushrooms on toast and crab cakes. They were both absolutely superb with a side salad. It was truly an excellent meal sufficient in quality and especially quantity. Our sincere thanks to Mick our floor manager that evening and the chef... magnificent.. .

Other than my breakfast which could have been a little warmer, it was great. I had friends the night before for dinner which was very good. The complimentary upgraded room to the rear was so quiet, and the bed so comfortable. The shower was good also. Thank you for great stay.

We stayed on the 27th Feb on a dine and stay deal to include leaving our car in the carpark whilst we were aboard. It was made so easy, park your car and hand your keys into reception, they put the keys in an envelope with your name and reg number and put them in the safe. Upon return you give your name and reg to get your keys back- what an amazing service and will definitely stay again when flying from Bournemouth.

Picked this hotel as a one night stopover. What a great find, immaculate hotel and room, very friendly staff and delicious food. I cautiously choose steak for my dinner as it was advertised as locally sourced and dry aged for 28 days. Wow, delicious and perfectly cooked to my liking (blue) well done chef ?

Really lovely Best Western hotel. The reception staff were lovely and the bar / restaurant staff were great too. We had a “cozy” sized room and it was fine. The bathrooms are a little dated and the shower runs off the bath mixer taps. This meant you got “hot spots” whilst you were showering and could be a bit dangerous. We are in the restaurant on our first night and the food was lovely. I'm a celiac and they couldn't do enough to make sure the food was right. Breakfast was great too. The staff are really well trained and super friendly, I only didn't give a 5 star because of the dates shower Onsite parking is also good (and free) too..

We came to stay for a funeral, facilities were great but it was the staff that made our stay superb. They simply went above and beyond consistently. Two in our party suffer with dietary issues. The level of care and attention far exceeded my expectations, I couldn't have asked for better.

Always an excellent hotel. We stay here to visit family in the area and it's always brilliant. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Love the view in the riverside rooms. The bar area is really nice for having a drink before heading out.

Absolutely loved our stay, food was fabulous staff were so helpful couldn't do enough for you.the outside area was beautiful with the river suburb place to chill out we were watching them fishing, the rooms were lovely and clean nice complimentries.

we had the carvery, which was nice. The crumble pudding was not crumble!!!!.....It was powdery, basically tasted like flour had been dusted on it!.........You pay for the carvery before you go to the carvery station, alcoholic drinks are good, and reasonably priced.

Staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly. Room was lovely, clean and quiet. The food was gorgeous, so much so I invited friends to join me for dinner Friday, lunch Saturday and my family joined me for Sunday roast after my craft weekend finished. I would highly recommend this hotel and am looking forward to next year's break already.

Did not disappoint. We were welcomed by reception. The room was clean and confortable. Bonus was a fabulous view over the river. I could not fault the food at all, a good selection and very accomodating when we asked for an alternative. Look forward to returning ?

Last minute booking due to a family emergency. All the receptionists were amazingly sympathetic and helpful. Thankful for the very comfortable bed and bedding which ensured a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a great start to our day. Will be returning soon.

Excellent room overlooking the river, exceptionally comfortable bed. Great shower and bath masses of hot water. Room refreshments good and top ups always available from reception. Super friendly staff in reception, restaurant and bar. We have stayed here before and will do again.

I stayed at the bridghouse hotel last night and what can I say it was a fantastic nights sleep and the bed was super comfy and the bedding was really comfortable the welcome last night was very warm and genuine and I was upgraded rooms as well and my pyjamas were very warm and comfortable

Ate at the bridge house restaurant in January 2025. The carvery was school dinner-esque, overcooked and under seasoned but at a very affordable price point. Other food was obviously purchased in frozen and the menu was very outdated. The location is very nice but management can be doing more to make the most of the space and improve the menu in the kitchen and behind the bar. The clientele is largely seniors and if the restaurant wants to attract more families and younger diners, they need to make changes.

Birthday lunch for my 88 year old mother in law on New years eve was an excellent experience. It's always a problem finding a good lunch time venue as most are preparing for the evening. The food and staff were both excellent and could not fault.

This was our second Christmas at the Bridge House and each time we found that the service was excellent, the room clean and tidy and the food was first class. The views from the windows were fascinating. We have booked again for next year. Thank you

The room was clean and spacious with a fantastic view over the river. We had a group Christmas meal booked and decided to stay overnight - what a brilliant decision! The Christmas meal was really good with many of us opting for the carvery. Starters and desserts went down well with everyone too. I think we're booking for next Christmas too and we will stay over again, no worrying whether the taxi will turn up and a really good breakfast buffet next morning.

The room was clean and tidy. Fluffy towels, soap and shower wash provided. Breakfast was excellent. Recommend the croissants. Excellent dinner last night as well. Arden̈nes pate, Christmas turkey mains with all the trimmings , and a rather good cheesecake. Staff were cheery and helpful.

Very nice. Modern, clean. Good breakfast. Air con in rooms that also heats the room to your desired temperature. On my last visit the rooms were stiflingly hot. Rooms with TV. Plenty of sockets, including close to bed. Room over looked flooded river.

Amazing food with generous portions, full carvery and multiple options inc full English for breakfast tea/coffee and fresh juice's available. Friendly and helpful staff and ample free car park on site. My room was slightly behind updated travelodge but was clean and comfortable. I would happily stay there again. I would recommend.

Good value stay, room very nice, shower good and bed comfortable. Location good for travelling to the airport. Check out smooth. Restaurant nice, carvery excellent and we would stay again and probably will do in the future. Did not have breakfast so cannot comment on it.

Only stopped one night but Very welcoming staff ,room was lovely the bed so comfortable ,food was lovely and we enjoyed our slefs we be back soon next year, the room lovely and clean, the breakfast was yummy and very reasonable on price thank u

Went for evening Christmas meal in the evening, arrived to a group of very 'jolly' group outside, even more 'jolly' people at the bar, one fell into me . Waited for meal, table lacked attention to detail, given bottles of water but no glasses, also no Christmas crackers ,these were bought to us eventually. Staff were very busy, but were trying their best. Food was average at best, over priced in my opinion, starter was so basic, no caramelised chutney, but a good dollop of branston with pate ? carvery gammon was OK. yorkies very spongey and flat. As an afterthought pigs in blankets bought to the table as forgotten at carvery, see picture. We were obviously the last table to be served. Toilets were not great, I advised manager, she said she hadn't stopped all day ? So not seen them. The downstairs disabled toilet I needed was not suitably clean , I used upstairs toilet (not great), in fairness she cleaned the downstairs one. No evidence of Toilets being checked throughout the day, I personally wouldn't visit again. There are better places nearby. Double g and t £8.50, pate starter £7.50 . Very disappointed ? ,on leaving cigarette butt was by front steps ,needed sorting.

Great place to stay, staff were all very attentive, no problem was too much (not that we had any), shame about the weather but that's beyond anyone's control, only had the breakfast but that was amazing, hope very much to come and see you again soon.

This Hotel is perfect for us to overnight in when we want to visit our family in Poole. Nice choice of bedroom sizes, pillows were a bit hard and I will bring my feather ones with me next time! (I didn't ask if reception if they had any which I should have done!) The restaurant and lounge area is very nice, overlooking the river. We all thoroughly enjoyed our evening meals here and the full english with continental too if hungry. Very good value compared to some other hotels in Bournemouth and Poole. Staff all friendly and efficient. This was our second stay here this year and we will definitely stay again when in the area.

We have stayed here before and by coincidence had the same room on our previous visit. The bed was comfy but the 'heated' towel rail never got hot and I suspect it never does, as the room now has heating from a wall unit/heat pump. The breakfast on this visit was definitely better than on the previous one and we really enjoyed it. There is a hot and cold buffet selection with hot & cold drinks, plus the usual toast & pastries. We will happily stay here again when visiting the area.

Stay at the Bridge regularly to visit family in the area, had an excellent Sunday lunch with family my grandson loves the potatoes, and we had a pleasant evening staying in the hotel, sat outside by the river to watch the sun go down until in got a bit too chilly, will be back in November

I love coming here for breakfast, I've never been disappointed. The food is always truly outstanding. The meats are from local farmers and cooked to perfection. The staff are always brilliant and the atmosphere is lovely. Great to see so many families having fun together. Can't beat a three course breakfast!

My family and friends celebrated my husband's 70th birthday on Saturday at the Bridge House and had a lunch time and afternoon celebration in The Riverside Room . The staff at the Bridge House could not have been more helpful and welcoming and everyone had an amazing time . Both the carvery and wine for our lunch time meal were perfect and the venue gorgeous with lovely white table cloths and the room set up just as requested . After the meal my husband and I stayed overnight in a room overlooking the river which was lovely and then in the morning enjoyed an absolutely fabulous breakfast . All in all a wonderful occasion was had by all thanks to the amazing team .

Megan and the staff went over and above for my Mums celebration of life. Helping to decorate the room, putting on a lovely spread and tending to everyone's needs, I would highly recommend the Bridge House. The room and additional outside area made the event perfect. The evening meal, bedroom and breakfast all made the day a nice experience.

Excellent service carvery and breakfast first class best to stay river side to avoid traffic noise nothing is too much trouble for very efficient staff have seen lots of wildlife from hotel room perfect for using Bournemouth airport as car parking is complimentary.

Staff were very polite and welcoming. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable to such an extent we slept for over seven hours. We enjoyed the view of the river from our room. Our sandwich at lunch time was good, dinner and breakfast were also good Again staff were attentive without being intrusive.

Stayed for two nights at end of September while doing some work at Bournemouth Airport which is only 15 minutes drive. Very warm welcome from staff at front desk and also staff in the bar and restaurant. Had a room with a nice view of the river and bed was very comfortable. Also had lunch and dinner both nights and the food is very nice with a good selection to suit everyone's tastes. Enjoyed my stay at a very warm and relaxing hotel. Thanks

We had the superior 'King' room overlooking the island with the juliet balcony. The room was very nice; Quiet and spacious and well appointed. Not sure if the bed was actually King size though. A very beautiful and tranquil spot overlooking the river, just watching the wildlife, very enjoyable. An excellent breakfast, served on hot plates in a very pleasant restaurant. The staff were helpful, courteous and polite. Some stools would have been nice to sit at the bar, but all in all a wonderful stay.

Great room with a lovely view. Food and service was first class. Good security in the car park, so a good alternative to the hotels in Poole that have been targeted recently. About 15 minutes to the ferry terminal at 0430 in the morning. Will stay again.

The staff (everybody) were so friendly and helpful and the food was excellent with a good choice throughout. Plenty of blue badge parking outside. The room had an amazing view across the river and was spacious and clean and very comfortable. Loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thanks!

Very small room could hardly fit in the bath, noisy and pictures don't give full story as felt rather like a motel. Receptionist was nice and friendly and breakfast was good with lots of options. Good location with a great walk around a lovely lake.

If you are over 75 this place is perfect for you . It's like being in a old age home. However my wife and I are 50. Staff were unfriendly. It lacked vibrance and atmosphere. No way can you lie in as had fire alarms going off every morning. Had to ask for toilet paper . Not a place I will think fondly of

A wonderful weekend made all the better for our party of 22 by the calm efficiency of the event manager Megan. Good food, excellent accommodation, reasonable prices and beautiful weather in a peaceful location. We would definitely stay again.

We had my husbands Retirement party here. It was superb. Food was good. Staff very friendly. Meghan was fab and booked about 6 rooms for family to stay and we were seated together and cared for very well. The setting is always remarkable as its Riverside, which we love. On the evening of the party all staff were fab but especially Mike who sorted anything we needed.

I only stayed one night since had an early flight from Bournemouth early the next morning but everything was absolutely perfect and i enjoyed a good meal, friendly and efficient staff and will certainly be staying again whenever I need to stay in that area.

This hotel could easily have a higher star rating. The staff were happy to help with any queries, inc public transport where needed. Chefs were clean and neat. Plenty of variety on hot breakfast buffet, also cereal, fresh fruit and yoghurt available. Domestic staff always happy . Clean and neat public areas, with outside seating area to rear of building. Bedroom supplied with ironing board and iron, tissues, hairdryer. Tea/ coffee making items also included.

Stayed here for a wedding at Canford School. Helpful staff and arranged early check in. Rooms are basic but clean and comfy. Lovely bar/restaurant area. Modern and a good choice of food/drink. Breakfast was great. A very nice base and a reasonable price.

Very comfy room, very clean and quiet. We had a view over the river, which was very pleasant. We were only there a couple of hours as we had an early flight, but all good as far as accommodation. The staff were very helpful and cheerful, big tick! The food on the other hand was bad. We both went for the fish and chips. The fish was tasteless, the chips were very uneventful. I had mushy peas, tasteless, my husband had ordinary peas - overcooked!

Was very happy with the service. We used it as a the night before a early morning flight from Bournemouth airport. The receptionist was very helpful booking a taxi and checking the airport seclude to make sure we where there in good time. The evening meal was very good as well.

Very friendly, helpful staff. Rooms basic but more than reached our needs Good water pressure. Tea tray only serviced with 4 milk pods (and no biscuits - sigh) so really only enough for one cup of tea per day. General toilets inconveniently placed on first floor at end of corridor Be aware of noisy doors slamming if a wedding party is in - however all forgiven as staff more than made up for this.

Went to stay as a weekend treat for our wedding anniversary. The room was air conditioned, very comfortable including the bed. We ate breakfast (which we pre paid for) and dinner on the two nights. Arrived thursday night to a warm welcome from receptionist. Advised us where our room was. Room was overlooking river lovely outlook. Room spotless, comfy and had aircon. Went back to restaurant where we had booked table before arrival. Ordered meal and drinks wich was excellent. Staff lovely and very attentive. Very relaxing and comfy sleep. Breakfast is buffett hot and cold available. Hot plates for breakfast. Sat on decking having relaxing cuppa after breakfast enjoying the sun. Highly recommend will definitely be back.

My wife and i have visited here many times to see family locally, generally in the colder months, and like the Hotel We tried to book online for 1 night but couldn't, i then called phoned the front desk and they said that we could only book for a minimum of 2 nights due to the time of the year, this left me feeling rather perplexed, i said we have visited many times but this didn't matter, so we booked another hotel who were happy to book for 1 night. When its a quiet time of the year they are happy to take your money for a one night booking. I know the hotel will say its company policy regarding the 2 nights but come on guys. Well it looks like we will be staying elsewhere next time which is such a shame

The bedrooms were very nice and clean. Crisp white bed linen, fluffy white bath sheets, decent toiletries, plenty of coffee sachets and tea bags and nice carafe of water for filling kettle. (slightly disappointed that there were no biscuits!} The buffet Sunday all day roast was very tasty. Beef,Pork and Turkey and the chef will carve you a slice slice of each if you want, at least 6 vegetables and stuffing balls and yorkshire puddings - what more could you ask for and less than £15 each. Buffet breakfast was amazing too - full english for £12 per person and you could have fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, toast and fresh pastries as well! Not forgetting tea, coffee and fruit juice. Plenty of parking and if you keep windows closed you can't hear the traffic! Very effective air conditioning unit in the room too. What's not to like? We founf booking with the Hotel direct was a better price than on Booking.com so do check this out .

Lovely friendly hotel .Stayed once before and will definitely be coming back! Breakfast didn't finish till later which suited us. Lovely view from our window over the river and even though the bar was so full and busy on Friday night we never heard a thing! Ood was brilliant! Altogether a brilliant stay!

Stayed 1 night en route to Poole Harbour. The welcome was as friendly & welcoming as my initial booking. Nothing was too much trouble including keeping food & ice packs in the freezer overnight which was returned to me swiftly on leaving early the following morning. We had a Superior Suite which was large with a lovely sofa & balcony windows overlooking the water & meadows. All very competitively priced including the bar.

Bridge House Hotel 2 Ringwood Road is on the main road through Ferndwn as you are heading to Poole . Large car free park at rear as well as few spaces out front. Check in easy do online so just collect key. No offer by anyone if you needed help with luggage, as room was on first floor. Room was basic . Water on table left in a large glass container so not sure how long it had been there. A couple of bottled waters would have been better . No mini fridge in room. Room was dated and no sockets or usb plugs by bed. Bath tub enamel was chipped and hairs in bath. Views were great over looking the river. Hotel decor on main floor was nice and decking outside was also very nice. Breakfast was average let down by luke warm food. Food and room meant only an average rating for me.

Our room was lovely, plenty big enough for the three of us. Very clean, nice bed and pillows. Air con when needed. Lovely friendly staff . Very nice evening meal one of our nights. Help from staff when needed.. thank you everyone..easy access shower. Nothing to complain about from us whatsoever..

Lovely position by the fast flowing river full of interesting wildlife. Has a raised wooden seated verandah outside where you can enjoy your drinks ( weather permitting) comfy rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely visit here again when staying in the area.

Hi so went for a carvery for the 1st time today on recommendation and can honestly say we must of gone to different places booked a table online got seated when arrived went for the carvery as a food option, so had mixed meats and plenty of it then the veg again good variety,Yorkshire pudding look like it had been sat on and hard on the bottom couldn't cut them, roast potatoes looked undercooked and no crispy bits guessing they were frozen as all equal shapes and sizes then to the gravy was ok but by time we got bk to our table food was luke warm need a ding in the microwave and looking around us people had left the roast potatoes on their plates so obviously an issue with them today. I'm going to have to consider my booking I have next month for 12 people after I've been saying we should go there because it sounds a greatcplace to eat but after today I'm not sure the carvery will cope with it and deliver a hot meal.

The Bridge House Hotel has a pretty outlook over the Stour River. Helpful. friendly service at reception & in the restaurant made all the difference. The breakfast was excellent - we ordered poached eggs & added all the selected typical English breakfast items from the buffet. A selection of cereals, fruit juice, yoghurt, fruit salad, tea, coffee & toast provided us with plenty of choice. The hotel is on the X6 bus route to the Dolphin Centre in Poole & in the other direction to Haskin's Garden Centre in Longham & main shopping area in Ferndown. As this was a last minute decision, we thought it was good value. This hotel was definitely superior to some of the hotels we looked at in the Poole area that still had rooms available.

Perfect stay for attending a wedding at Parley Manor. Receptionist was extremely helpful in looking up taxi and friendly welcome. room comfortable, nice outlook over river. nearby walk at longham lakes a bonus. free upgrade unexpected due to party in evening.

Visiting family in Poole, and we usually stay pretty central but thought we'd have a change this time and we weren't disappointed. Parked in the spacious car park at the rear of the hotel and made our way to check in. Lovely, friendly lady on reception and although we were a little early, our room was ready. We'd made arrangements to meet our family but as soon as we saw our room we just wanted to sit and enjoy the view! Really spacious with comfy sofa and coffee table, really comfy bed - best night sleep for a while. Spotlessly clean bathroom and super soft towels Tea & coffee making facilities and a complimentary bottle of wine were provided. Breakfast is self serve with plenty of options, fresh juice and coffee - perfect to start the day! Although we were out visiting for most of our stay, each staff member we saw were friendly, polite and helpful. We'll definitely be back for a return visit!

Clean rooms. Staff very friendly and welcoming. The disabled rooms are vary spacious with a great wet room shower. Tea and coffee tray in the room. If you are a light sleeper take ear plugs as it's located next to a main road. The beds are spacious and good linen.

Wonderful hotel with lovely staff who cannot do enough for you. The location is stunning too. Food was of a very good standard. Quiet and rooms are perfect. Given I only had a cosy room which is the smallest, it was fine, clean and had all I needed.

Once again we had a wonderful stay at The Bridge House Hotel - the staff are exceptional - friendly and very efficient-Megan was so helpful and professional. Our filet steaks were superb and worth trying. The fireworks were well worth watching from the balcony.

The new air conditioning is very welcome addition to facilities. Restaurant is efficiently staffed and offers pleasant dining area and also bar seating area with access to exterior veranda with great views of landscape. Our room was spacious with comfortable lounge seating.

Lovely hotel....more comfortable than a "chain" hotel....bedroom had a comfy bed and lovely furnishings....only four stars as the road was very noisy.... however we knew this before we booked so our choice....spent an enjoyable afternoon sitting on the restaurant terrace overlooking the river. We enjoyed our meals here...good breakfast and a delicious carvery....good choice of meats which beat me! Plenty of easy off road parking.....would highly recommend and we would happily stay here again.

When working away from home it is great to stay in a hotel where there is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The rooms are always clean and tidy and staff are so freindly , it makes working away so much better , where you can feel relaxed and destressed in the evenings. The food is of a high standard and the buffet breakfast is extereemly good.

Had a river view which meant stay was quiet. Room overlooked river and a nature reserve with horses grazing. from the window we saw birds e.g. egrets ,herons, swans and one day we watched a kingfisher catching fish. Room was comfortable .Had a cooked breakfast every day of our stay, help your self , food was good. Had some evening meals waiter service was good and food also. Had a Sunday carvery also help yourself to what we wanted, food also good.

1 night stay before flying. Check in staff very friendly welcomed with a lovely smile, yes we have stayed before and standard of service remains the same- excellent. Bar staff (Mick) fun certainly enjoys chatting with customers couldn't ask for more- just want you want after a long drive, friendly face sorting your drinks. Room very comfortable if a little noisy as facing the road, certainly no bodies fault. Evening meal, staters & main course - good size portions.

Hotel clean , tidy and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. Nice view if river from bedroom. Breakfast really good but had a meal one of the evenings in the restaurant and all 3 courses were average at best - really disappointed Extractor did not work in bathroom.

A nice hotel in a good area. Air conditioning in the process of being installed. Rather stay here than at a chain hotel, I think.

This was our 8th stay in just over a year. The hotel is ideally situated close to Bournemouth airport for those, like us, that want to avoid travelling prior to an early flight. Rooms are clean and comfortable with nice views over the river. All staff are extremely polite and welcoming and the food was both tasty and plentiful for what we had.

A lovely very friendly hotel situated in a pretty area. The staff could not do more for you. The restaurant for dinner and breakfast is very good value. There is a very pretty decking area at the rear of the hotel which is perfect for a cup of tea in the sunshine! Would definitely stay again.

Easy check in, Large room, sadly noisy as over cellar. Coolers going on and off all night, then at 7am drey men arrived and were rolling barrels in cellar, hence an awful nights sleep. Breakfast so so, some overcooked. Most staff pleasant. Nice size car park.

Always love staying at the bridge house, as it's close to family members and not far from where I used to live, plus it's close to Bournemouth and Poole

My wife and I (and other members of the family) have stayed at the hotel on a number of occasions and always had a comfortable stay. We also enjoyed a very nice meal in the restaurant. Highly recommended for a stay prior to an early flight from Bournemouth airport.

Enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty! The hotel was almost fully booked but they were able to offer two different rooms over the two nights in order that we could attend a special event being held at the hotel. They kindly prepared the room for the second nights stay to give us ample time to get ready for the event. We had a lovely view over the gardens on our second night.

My daughter and I would hightly recommend the Bridge House Hotel. It had a friendly, welcoming atmoshphere right from check-in to check-out. Our twin room was very comfortable and had everything we needed with a lovely view. Despite being so close to the main road there was no noise to disturb us and we slept well. Breakfast was good and we would have liked to have had lunch and/or dinner, but circumstances didn't allow this time so we can't comment but the general hub bub and cheerful sounds from the dining room would suggest that the food and ambience is well liked. We have no hesitation in recommending to others and given it's location close to family I'm sure we will be visiting again.

Lovely stay as usual staff are all so attentive. Room was clean and spacious view from room was amazing. Would like more things added to the evening menus as after 6 days food does get a bit repetitive but still lovely . Can't wait to return. Thank you bridge house for making our stay relaxing as usual.

River Side Rooms were very spacious. Rooms were clean and the bath towels were a decent size. All the staff were welcoming and friendly, but maintained a professional manner. Evening meal was good and portions large. Glad I chose two starters instead of starter and main. I would definitely use this hotel again.

We had a one night stay. The hotel is in a lovely position and setting beside the river Stour. The terrace looks over to the river. We had a very spacious, ground floor room, which was most comfortable. We enjoyed an evening meal, which overlooks the river. The menu is very extensive and we were not disappointed with our choices. The staff were most pleasant and worked very well together. All credit to them. When needing directions, the next morning after our good breakfast, the reception staff were most helpful. An excellent stay!

We had a wonderful time at the Bridgehouse Hotel in Longham. The staff there made our stay very welcoming with their friendly manner. The room was lovely and overlooked the river so we were able to see the swans and ducks on the grassed island that you could get to via the bridge. The food was amazing. Really good choice at Breakfast and in the evening. Large portions - you won't go hungry!! All in all a great visit and will stay there again as it's an ideal place to base yourself for that lovely area.

We only stopped the one night and had bed, breakfast and evening meal. Everything was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very clean, did us just right for a quick stopover. Did not look around the area as only stopped the one night but we will be back.

Nice room, lovely welcome and great service throughout (although a small glitch at breakfast on our last day.) Great outlook from the restaurant and decking areas. We were in the area for a funeral and the wake was held here which was also handled very well.

Staff friendly. Hotel clean. Food plentiful, especially breakfast. Lots of room to park and handy for day trips to local sites. Very reasonable price for room plus breakfast. When the weather is better I am sure it would be lovely to sit by the river.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The room was very good, and the staff are friendly. We stay here to fly from Bournemouth which is 10 minutes away. The setting outside is lovely, nice veranda overlooking the river stour. We will be definitely staying here again.

This is a lovely little hotel in Ferndown. Super friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms are clean, and well-equipped. The towels were the fluffiest and softest I have ever had. Breakfast was standard - but tasty and hot. We had Cosy Double room which suited our needs - the road is a little noisy but traffic wasn't too bad over night. Lovely setting on the river.

Only stayed one night which we do when flying from Bournemouth. Highly recommend as friendly, clean and lovely meal in their restaurant. Nice view and large car park, room was nice size and no complaints what so ever. Will always use this hotel.

Restaurant was excellent, great food, beautifully cooked, excellent service. Paid extra for a riverside view and allegedly a better room and wasn't particularly impressed if I'm honest….not sure I'll bother next time. Conveniently placed for Poole, will stay again.

My title, "A wonderful hotel staffed by the nicest people." really does sum up the Bridge House perfectly. From the minute you are greeted by the reception staff you feel welcome and at home. The Bridge House was, in fact home (during the week) for me for almost 2 months. I ate, drank and slept there and really looked forward to every visit. The rooms are spacious and fresh. During the time I was staying, they were transitioning to individual air-conditioning units in the rooms which will be fabulous on those hot sticky nights in the summer. I had a rear facing room that looked out over the River Stour. A lovely view to wake up to in the morning. The restaurant and bar staff are dedicated, fun and focussed on ensuring customers are given the best possible service. I dined at the hotel every evening and had breakfast every morning and I have to say, the food is of exceptionally high standard. I particularly enjoyed the carvery. I will certainly return to the Bridge House if my work brings me in this direction again. In the meantime, I uge anyone reqding this review to visit the Bridge House. it's a lovely hotel and a perfect base for the surrounding area.

Currently undergoing some modification on there power supply so no heating in the room. Although, there was a mobile, manually operated, radiator in the room. The fire alarm was set off by one of my workmates from steam from the shower because the shower room door was left open trying to keep warm by leaving the bathroom door open whilst taking a shower. My shower tube became detached when i tried to adjust the height. When asking for the breakfast in the morning and an explanation of the choice between the options, it resulted in a Basil Fawlty type interaction. We are not frequent travelers so our ignorance was probably part to blame but the comedy value was priceless. Overall, the comedy value made up for the fact that they are having work done and service was not as usual. But, some people would be a lot harsher than i have. We did leave with a memory and a smile though but probably for the wrong reasons.

Another home from home hotel and certainly the place of choice for me when in the area. This hotel can be whatever you want it to be, they make you really welcome, bend over backwards to satisfy your needs, serve good food and always with a smile….. Clarissa and Megan really do make the place all the more relaxing and are a credit to the hotel

Stayed here with our friends for a weekend break in Dorset. This hotel ticked all our boxes. Great location, lovely clean room, good evening menu and great breakfast! Staff were helpful and friendly. We had a fabulous time and we will be back!

Litterally had the most amazing stay here! The staff were so helpful and friendly, the room was very clean, the view was beautiful, and the food was to die for!! Thanks to everyone for making our stay special and enjoyable. We hope to see you all again soon!

I booked the Bridge House because of its locality and facilities. I hosted a four day craft weekend with eighteen crafters, all women, all with loads of stuff - could be a recipe for disaster! But it wasn't, it was the best, everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves, one lady saying it was the best in seventeen years … The staff were amazing, always ready to help, food great, the rooms were very comfortable and the function room looked over the river. There was only one complaint, apparently some thought the food portions were too big!

Love this hotel. Hope to stay a lot more this year. So clean and such nice staff. I am most comfortable in clean hotels and that is my priority. This is the cleanest hotel I have stayed in in locally and its a tonic when you stay.

We had a quality stay at this hotel clean , friendly , comfortable, great facilities, amazing breakfast, absolutely brilliant value for money Will definitely return when up that way again 5 star quality of breakfast was amazing.

Room 221 on the first floor at the front was quite noisy compared to the ground floor one I stayed in the previous week - road traffic, a freezer or similar kept switching on nearby and noisy neighbours coughing! But, was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was delicious.

Stay here regularly with place of work being near by. The menu has not changed in years and could do with a change for the regular stayers. On this occasion I chose the gammon and egg. The gammon is thickly cut cold pieces of ham, which I knew before ordering, the disappointing bit was the two rock hard fried eggs on top of my ham. You would think this would have been perfected with the amount of time this has been on the menu. I will continue to use the hotel and restaurant due to the location and Best Western points. But please do something with your menu!

Nice looking hotel with plenty of outside space to enjoy. Very good attentive staff. Rooms were comfortable clean and serviced if you wanted with everything we needed . Fair choice of food on the evening menu which was well cooked and tasty. Bar was well stocked Dr beers & lagers well kept. Decent base for sightseeing of coast or inland.

Nice room, the breakfast, evening meals and the coffee and cake were all very good and I loved sitting on the balcony watching the river, had a great time over 5 nights and thought the prices were reasonable

Had two carvery meals and a burger meal. Very tasty. Also ordered crumble and sticky toffee puddings. Staff were pleasant, manageress seemed grumpy. Dog friendly. Decor and cleanliness was good. Would recommend.

Convenient location for visiting Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Wimborne. It is situated next to a main road that is busy all day. It is close to Bournemouth Airport. Large car park at rear and there is a bus stop to Poole and Ringwood close by.

24 of us was booked in for a birthday party. All meals were pre booked. So we sat down for 1800hrs. Some had starters which we knew was happening. That took about half n hour. By the time we actually got our main course it was gone 2000hrs. This place took on to many party's that night and spoilt it for us will not be back.

This in an ideal spot if you're flying out of Bournemouth to stay overnight. We were there because Best Western had a deal 3 nights for the price of 2 including breakfast and we were touring around the area. We had a ground floor accessible room with walk in shower which looked out towards the river. We were there over a Friday and Saturday and there was no noise. The room was a really good size as was the shower room, unfortunately the scaffolding was still up outside the window but that didn't bother us too much. The room would have benefitted by either a chest of drawers or shelving and the same in the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet at night. The food was very good value. We had dinner there each evening on our 3 night stay. Breakfast was self service, no fish option unfortunately nor cold meat/cheese for continental visitors, but what I really missed was no tea pots, coffee pots or milk jugs, one had to make individual hot drinks at the servery. There was ample supply of English breakfast and plenty of toast with an excellent toaster. There was a good evening menu especially if you were only staying 1 or 2 nights. If you were there for a week it would be more limited choice. They did offer a daily special but it was the same daily special for the soup and main course every night! Fortunately for us it was three lamb cutlets which were excellent. The food was of a good quality, cooked well and ample. The hotel was clean, excellent disabled toilets, and the decor was all in very good order. Large car park and no problem accessing the hotel if you were using a wheelchair. I would recommend staying here for a short break.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this hotel. The room was on the first floor and had a lovely view over the river and fields beyond. The room was clean and well decorated and the king size bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was comprehensive, with cooked and continental available. We dined there for the four nights of our stay and the food was delicious. Although it was the same menu every day, there was enough variety to be able to choose something different every day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. There was no air con in the rooms, but you could obtain a fan from reception, which we did, if the weather was hot. Would certainly return if holidaying in the area again.

Lovely hotel, with good parking. Lovely staff and nice rooms. Would stay again, but must say baths small and slippery to get out of when you have dodgy knees like me. Mattress rather soft for my back also.

hotel nice, restaurant food was lovely and fresh - drinks could be cheaper! it was a really hot night and we had to ask for a fan which was ok but with those temperatures should have been in the room!

Great staff and service, lovely easy to access and move around in room, comfy bed, roomy bathroom, all we needed. Very nice breakfast in morning plus enjoyed sitting on decking overlooking river. Thank you:)

We were really disappointed with the carvery. It was sadly tasteless. The roast potatoes were anaemic, califlower cheese flavourless. 3 out of our group of 4 just couldn't eat it. We had to send 2 drinks back as the fizzy was flat. The setting is beautiful, and the outside seating is picturesque and relaxing. Think we'll be back for coffee one day and skip the restaurant.

Plenty of free parking, communal areas very clean & charming. We had a room at the front which was noisy because of the busy main road. There was a sign on the window saying not to open in the evening as the midges would come in. Room was warm as no aircon & there wasn't a fridge. We had drinks overlooking the river which was lovely & restful. Dinner on the first night was excellent, extensive choice, food really tasty & plentiful & good value for money. The waitress was really sweet, kind & helpful. Breakfast the next morning was lovely as well, good selection & tasty.

Breakfast was excellent, staff were pleasant and helpful. Bedroom was clean and plenty of room for our three night stay. Handrail near bath would be helpful. Would definitely stay again as close to family.

We had a big celebratory meal here with family and friends. Some of us also stayed overnight. Surroundings are beautiful,food excellent, service brilliant but also a very relaxed atmosphere .The rooms are spotless and beds are so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble ,the staff were so friendly and helpful. Thank you all for a fantastic Birthday weekend.

Visited the Bridge House again as we have family in Ferndown and it is easier to stay at the Hotel. Once again, the Reception staff were so helpful and friendly. Our room was spotless as usual, we had breakfast and then Sunday Lunch before returning home to Oxford and they were both delicious. Definitely worth a visit and we will be back again.

Went for a family evening meal in this hotel. Had the burger, which was not good quality meat, very stodgy and appeared to be fried. It was most definitely not grilled. The cheese served with it was very rubbery and not good quality. Service from two young waitresses was average and a little abrupt, but another young waitress was more polite. On the positive side, my burger was still reasonable value for the generous portion, as it also came with good quality bacon and onion rings. My mother said her fish and chips was also very made. Lovely relaxed atmosphere outside when seated, and beautiful views.

These of us met here for coffee at 10.25 on a Sunday morning just as they were finishing breakfast. Quite a few staff working and weren't too keen in giving us a table. We asked about coffee and a bacon sandwich . Pointed over there but you have to be quick and will still have to pay the price of full English although not all the foods available. Made to feel most unwelcome . We didn't want a full breakfast as eating out for lunch. We weren't the only people in the restaurant at the time. When the bar opened at 11 we were still made unwelcome for soft drinks.

We stayed for 4 nights with another couple. Our rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, with a range of food on offer. The staff were attentive and polite as well as very helpful. A very enjoyable stay.

The hotel provides decent rooms, at a decent price in a decent location with easy parking. It would benefit from a little more attention to detail but there is nothing fundamentally wrong. I have used the hotel before and would be happy to use it again. It is much better than it was, before it became part of the Best Western chain.

Just back from 2 night stay for my birthday whilst visiting local area. Beds very comfortable, however as no air con found room stuffy. Luckily had room at back of hotel so could keep windows open , if had room at front would be an issue as busy road. Breakfast very good and plentiful. Evening meal was OK however found the waitresses not very cheerful and felt they were just going through the motions. Bar man was very friendly.

We enjoyed our visit. The hotel has very attractive grounds. Our room was comfortable and well equipped. We had dinner and breakfast during our stay and both were very nice indeed. The welcome at reception was good and the service throughout our stay was very good indeed.

Room fine however always book a ground floor Riverside view and the reason for this would be that the front of the hotel has a main road and can be very noisy with the windows open which is a must on a warm evening as no air-conditioning. If your not to good with stairs a ground floor room is a must because there is no lift. Breakfast buffet style is fine because you have the choice of both continental or full English, however the latter is a bit hit and miss regarding being edible I. E. : Only fried eggs available which more often than not had the Dunlop seal of approval and resemble a joke plastic egg. Black pudding was hard and inedible as was tge butchers sausages. Tomato, mushroom, bacon and beans were fine and seem to survive the buffet style exposure. All other breakfast offerings were fine I. E. Cereal, toast, pastries, yoghurt, fruit etc.... Overall the full English offering was a big dissapointment. As I have already said the room was fine but was somewhat put off by the odd bit of black mold around the bath edge.

We had room 206 at the back of the hotel overlooking the river (which is much better from a road noise perspective). The room was clean and comfortable and quiet as towards the end of the corridor. The staff were all utterly charming and my son literally didn't want to leave the hotel. Wendy at breakfast even went out of her way to text friends for a recommendation for us for a rainy day occupation etc. Couldn't ask for more in terms of kindliness and ease.

The reception staff are always friendly and helpful even when there really busy The rooms have everything you need and always spotless with plenty thick fluffy towels A great stay before an early flight from Bournemouth

Lovely riverside view, we enjoyed watching a range of wildlife from our room. Good size clean comfortable room. We had superior room with two comfortable sofas. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good food and good service. Easy parking.

The hotel was an excellent location to where we needed to be. We had a cosy double the room was amazing looked outvoted the river. The bed was comfortable, the room was spotlessly clean, and the bathroom was spotlessly clean as well. Ate in the restaurant had a carvery food was excellent. Good choice of breakfast would throughly recommended it. Staff were nice and polite and friendly

Stayed for just the one night to meet up with friends. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. The staff were lovely, in particular the lady at reception and the lady behind the bar on our arrival (sorry I can't remember your names) but the level of customer service from everyone was outstanding. The food was excellent & both food and drink prices much better than anticipated. The only reason we have not given them 5 stars is because the shower in our room flooded the bathroom floor. One other note is the temperature throughout the hotel was verging on uncomfortably warm. If they just knocked it down a degree or two I am sure they could save themselves a fortune on their heating bill lol

I stayed for 5 nights.. My room was comfortable, very clean. The staff were great, everyone very friendly and helpful. I ate breakfast and dinner there each day. The breakfast was consistently good. The dinner (including carvery) was rather varied, ranging from good to not so good. It seemed to lack any love from the kitchen. Altogether I would say that the friendliness of the staff was the saving grace of this review.

Stayed for three nights whilst visiting family over Christmas. Third time we have stayed here. Had a small issue with annoying background noise in Room 221, sounding like a washing machine in the background, very helpful staff moved us to room 219 but this wasnt any better, but it didnt spoil our stay. Breakfast was great, staff were lovely and helpful, will be back next time we visit.

Just had the worse Christmas meal ever at The Bridge House in Ferndown. The food was terrible and cold after they made us queue for over 30 minutes for a carvery? The staff were completely Disorganised and had no direction or supervision At all. If only McDonalds wax open we could go there on the way home and enjoy some decent food. For the money they charge on Xmas day I Would seriously recommend do not book to eat There you will be very disappointed indeed.

Firstly thank you to all the staff at the Bridge House Hotel for a very warm welcome. You all went the extra mile to make our stay very enjoyable. We were guests at a wedding taking place at the hotel and the catering was really outstanding. The added bonus was watching Otters from our riverside room. We can't guarantee that you'll see the Otters during your stay, but we're sure the hotel team will continue to deliver the same level of friendly service. We have stayed a couple of times over the years and cannot fault the hotel. The rooms are spotless and beds very comfortable. All the staff are great and cannot do enough for you. The food is lovely and very resonable

Hotel was clean, staff were great, food & drink was excellent. They could not do enough for our group of 20 people. We stayed for three nights. The trip was with our car club. This was our second time at the hotel and it's good it has a large car park.

Nice hotel, clean and tidy room and very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Best fish and chips I've had for a long while on Friday evening and the wife said the gammon was excellent as well. Really nice buffet put on for our friends birthday on Saturday. Finished with a good old Sunday carvery.

Lovely Christmassy atmosphere on arrival. Warm welcome from Reception as usual and a superb carvery in the evening .Our room was warm and cosy and the bed very comfortable . We had a good nights sleep followed by a very tasty breakfast. We couldn't fault our stay .

All three of us were impressed by the overall cleanliness, decor and layout. We had booked two easy access rooms with river views, the bathrooms were very well kitted out with walkin showers etc; The bedrooms were spacious and the view stunning with plenty of wildlife to watch. Staff were attentive and efficient. We will certainly be booking again.

Just a one night stay to visit the nearby uni. Well run hotel, friendly helpful staff, diner good, breakfast perfect. Rooms really clean, great hot water pressure in bathrooms. Beds super comfortable, fluffy duvets, soft pillows. Lovely touch of water bottles in rooms alongside the tea facilities. Great. Only negative is this is right on the roadside, and our room overlooked it so slight road noise, and the rooms are not soundproof, but unless you are a light sleeper you're not going to have any problems. Would stay again.

As usual this Hotel is excellent - staff very friendly and helpful and rooms spotless. Only another three weeks to go and we will be back for another break - Can't wait. Always a great welcome and the food never fails to please

Great hotel, relaxed atmosphere and very comfortable. Reasonably priced and good breakfast with quality products. Plenty of space in the rooms and lovely gardens surrounding the hotel. The staff were friendly and so welcoming . Look forward to returning.

For the third time got bumped up to a river view at no extra cost. Wonderful customer service. Would recommend to anybody. Food excellent, restaurant staff extremely efficient, very soon after tables vacated, staff cleared tables and soon after tables cleaned.

My friend and I have just spent at week at this hotel. This is our second stay and both times we were not disappointed. All the staff are welcoming and friendly, receptionists, bar staff, resaurant staff, cleaners, couldnt do enough for us, we were so well looked after. I even got a good morning from the chef as we passed in the resaurant. Our room was comfortable, clean and well decorated with as much complimentary tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits as we wanted and replenished every day. There was complimentary soap, shampoo and shower gel too. We can highly recommend the all you can eat breakfast which is available to staying guests and non staying guests. It was top quality and plentiful. Thank you Bridge House, keep up the good work, we will be coming back next year!

Lovely location on the River. Friendly, helpful staff. Great place for solo guests. Delicious breakfast and 'reliable' evening meals. Good choice of gins!! This was my 3rd visit and I will definitely be returning.

My Husband and I stayed two nights ( Friday /Saturday ) in order to attend a reunion party on the Saturday afternoon. We had a downstairs, easily accessible room, which was clean, roomy, quiet and very comfortable. My only downside was the fact that the duvets were very heavy and hot. I spent most of both nights alternating between in, or out of the cover. Also It would have been appreciated if the Biscuits had been replaced on the Hospitality tray on Saturday. .. The food at the Bridge House is excellent. All of our meals arrived hot and there was plenty of it. I only have a small appetite so on the first night I had a half portion of Ribs with fries. The bbq sauce was delicious and the fries were just as I liked them. My Husband had the the Nut loaf . He said it was the best he'd ever had ( and he's had many ) On the second night I was full from the afternoon's Reunion Buffet so I only had a Soup starter plus a fruit crumble pudding. Both also delicious. The Buffet breakfasts were excellent. I'd like to say thank you to the Chef who personally brought me a Pan au Chocolate on Sunday morning because he knew I'd been waiting. ( Now that's service ) .. On the Saturday afternoon a finger buffet for the Reunion members was served in the function room. There was a very good selection available and all done to a high standard. Everyone present said they enjoyed the food. A big thank you and “ Well done” again to the Chef and his staff. …. All the Staff at the Bridge House were friendly and welcoming . But I must mention Jess , who did such a great job for us on Saturday afternoon, moving furniture around to accommodate us in the function room. She made sure everything was as we wanted and looked after us so well, always polite with a lovely smile for everyone. Also Alana, who was marvellous in the restaurant and at taking care of us. Both ladies were a credit to the Hotel. Thank you and I hope to see you both again soon. From this weekend experience I have no hesitation in recommending the Bridge House Hotel.

This hotel is excellent. Staff friendly, food excellent and comfortable clean rooms and beds. Complimentary tea and coffee making facilities in rooms. Very quiet and we always have a good nights sleep. We stay here before and after flying from Bournemouth airport. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Rooms clean, a decent size with very comfy bed and nice bathroom facilities. Good food and service in the restaurant. Lovely view from the bedroom window and saw the local Kinkfisher flying along the river each time we were in the car park !

I only made use of the room for a single night. However, the room which was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities needed for work and relaxation. There is adequate parking which is really helpful and a restaurant on site for all meals

Always stay at The Bridge House when we visit family in the area. Very welcoming atmosphere as the staff are always friendly. Chef was great on the Sunday evening as I didn't want the Sunday Carvery. Very accommodating and I really enjoyed the Salmon Teriyaki, rice and veggies. Thank you and we will be back, again!

First stay at the Bridge Hotel. Came from wiltshire to visit family, and to celebrate a birthday. We found no fault at all, highly recommend this Hotel and will book again when next visiting family. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

We attended a funeral in the area and the wake/ reception was held at this hotel. As we traveled from Sheffield we decided to stay the night at the hotel. The staff at the hotel are excellent and the rooms are of a good standard. We booked two rooms 1 Classic double and 1 Comfort double both rooms are good with the comfort being slightly smaller but still of a good size. All rooms had coffee and tea making facilities and the rooms also had a decent Wi-fi signal. We booked for the buffet breakfast and that was excellent. We had no complaints at all.

Had a nice room but bathroom was very disappointing, there was mould on the ceiling and by the shower screen. Getting in and out of the shower is slippery they could do with fixing a hand rail on the wall or better still doing away with the bath and making a walk in shower would be more practical. We had an evening meal on arrival the waitress ask if we wanted a drink I asked for two glasses of coke we were served two pints of coke. Perhaps she should of asked large or small. I put that down to lack of training by the management. All I can say about the neal was it was nothing to write home about. Breakfast was rubbish the bacon wasn't very nice at all and the sausages were as hard as nails. The best thing were the Cornflakes they come in an unopened box so could not be mucked around with. All in all its a shame because I really used to like visiting this hotel but will think twice next time.

Lovely hotel and staff, Claressa was very helpful when we booked our room. You won't be disappointed with this hotel, nice rooms, clean, great meals, very friendly and helpful staff. You can tell it's family run as the staff care and really strive to give you a great experience. Plenty of parking.

This hotel is excellent for location to visit the town itself or places along the coast or new forest, service in the hotel is first class the restaurant and bar are large but still feel warm and friendly. Car parking is good with a large car park behind the hotel

A very nice restaurant but a few issues: it's very dark in the restaurant, dining chairs are not very comfy, very noisy in the rear bar area with staff banging and crashing dishes around, blackberry and apple crumble - a good bowlful but far too much filling and just a very light sprinkle of crumble which was not browned properly. Waiting staff were lovely - Cody served us with a smile and was very professional and helpful. Restaurant and staff all very clean; good carvery meal so will probably return at some point but hope for the above issues to be improved.

This Hotel is in a great location for exploring the area. Very clean and comfortable. Great food at reasonable prices . Very comfortable and the lovely decked terrace overlooking the river was wonderful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the staff were all attentive and the rooms were super comfy. I enjoyed poached eggs with breakfast. We invited relatives to eat with us and they were impressed too. Our room was facing the river and it was pleasant to see people enjoying the outside environment. We hope to return when the days are brighter.
