I've been treated very well by the staff and the owner during each visit. I especially like how clean it smells throughout the hotel. the rooms are spotless and the bed is more comfortable than most hotels that I've stayed at in Dilley. Other hotels offer free breakfast too, but there is always a fight over who gets the last strip of bacon. Those other hotels rarely have anyone refill breakfast items when they are all eaten. I never have that problem when I stay at this Best Western in Dilley.
We throughly enjoyed our one night stay at the Best Western in Dilley, TX. We did encounter a problem with our hotel room door not locking, but we were transferred to another room on the same floor within 20-30 minutes. We were made to feel welcome and all the staff that we encountered were nice and friendly. We felt this to be a safe location. Clean, well lit outside and the room was clean. The bedding was clean and so was the bathroom. I would recommend this hotel and would stay again.
Love coming to this hotel, I have been staying only at this hotel in the past 4 years, and I like the rooms how clean it is and safe as well including the breakfast, the staff has always been kind and go above and beyond to accommodate me when I go and cook to make big meals for my husband's work & employees...I recommend everyone to stay here.
I go to a hotel to sleep on a decent bed. Everything else is secondary. The beds here are extremely soft pillow tops. This is not luxury for me. A temper pedi is my idea of luxury. I had to take the cushions off of the sofa and chair, place them on the floor and there I slept. The woman operating this place had no idea about the mattresses. Wow! I HAD A MISERABLE STAY AND ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Great staff, friendly and helpfull. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They serve a great breakfast. There is a laundry set up for the guest, an excursive equipment room and a swimming pool with a grill.
The Best Western in Dilley Texas has a lot to be desired. Breakfast was OK but 6 days I was there, coffee maker in breakfast area not working properly, rooms not being cleaned each day properly, ask server about coffee and nothing was ever done.
trash, tissues, dirty linens, someone's sock on the floor in multiple rooms. This was the most disgusting motel have stayed in 50+ years. front desk staff were very pleasant and friendly. breakfast was good and what you would expect. We had multiple rooms and did not know or realize the the lack of cleanness in everyone's room until we had checked out
Please find another location; they use Covid protocols for an excuse of bad customer service . .. They recently changed management Only to get worse.. Majority of people working behind the counter believe they are doing the customer a favor by allowing us to stay there..You ask for basic services is like asking for the impossible...
Hotel check in was acceptable; I was working in Dilley so the location was perfect. Dirty halls/floors/elevators - went back the next day for a package and the dirt was still on the floor in the lobby area. Bed sheets were very worn and did not look clean. I stayed at this property earlier in 2021 and the experience was awesome. But that was under a different manager. She has left and I could tell the difference!
Room smelled unclean and it was. Hair in bed. Dirty floors. Rude morning staff No hair dryer. Black wash clothes smelled moldy and you can't tell if they're clean because they're black. I expect more for the price. Especially from a BW Plus.
I guess from Laredo to Dilley all motels were full from nurses doing a “project” in the area. Another Best Western suggested this location. Nice motel, breakfast was a grab and go bag because of Covid-19. We gave some suggestions to front desk at check-out, she seemed to care nothing about it. (1) We told her the room was not vacuumed throughly as paper was found under foot stole when I pushed it out. (2) one light bulb burnt out by bed. (3) not sure if the handle was going to stay on toilet, husband fixed it. (4) shower has no edge on it so easily water gets all over room, plus no shelf to put shampoo etc. Basically a nice new motel, I would stay again. I am telling you the issues on checkout, because staff does not stay here and without customers telling you how would you know this. Hopefully the desk clerk will say thanks next time!
Rooms were worn down. Beautiful exterior building, but rooms need to be updated and maintained better for the price they charge. A lot of oilfield workers still in the area staying for long periods of time may be the cause of the wear and tear of the rooms, bathrooms, carpet etc... Overall, it was OK. I'll probably find a different hotel next time with better prices.
This is a list of reasons I checked out early. The hall and room don't get vaccumed I drop something and it is covered in dirt and hair from the previous hotel room guest; GROSS. The shower was lose and crusty, the drain had a wad of hair in it and the tiles hurt your feet. I was afraid to drink the water due to the crusty hard water gunk growing in the faucet. The price per night is $50 pernight higher than the holiday inn that is in the next town. Their is nowhere to eat in Dilley Tx so that is one thing. The wifi did not work well enough to use, I called the front desk and they gave me a number to call for wifi help. The number was discontinued. I called front desk again and they told me the manager said that is just how it always has been. That is unexceptionable. I gave up on the wifi and went to sleep around 10pm due to having an early morning. I got a call from the front desk at 11:15pm waking me up. I answered and hung up deciding to cancel my stay the next morning. I was going to stay from 11\\8\\20 to 11\\21\\20 but cut is short to switch hotels on 11\\14. All venders for Dilley Feed & Grain as well as all associated industry leaders\\ integrators have been made aware to avoid your hotel.
3 days in a row- room was not vacuumed nor dusted - obviously need both-told front desk each day-took 3 days to get roomed vacuumed and dusted. Hallways had same crumbs and debris for days. Also, what's with the ropes barring guests from entering breakfast area except for breakfast. Not a very welcome sight. Would not stay here again.
Don't bother with this place. I was stung by a scorpion in my room the day I arrived. Killed it and brought it to the front desk. All staff said was "Oh Sorry about that." The next day, I asked to speak to the manager and Front desk took my room number. Never heard from the manager. Instead, she says, "well at least the scorpion was dead." I said, "No I told you I killed it AFTER it stung me." To which she replied, "Oh, sorry about that." Not once did she say "are you ok? do you need any medical assistance or treatment?" And they had the nerve not to provide any concession or any sign that they care. Never again will I stay here or any Best Western for that matter.
Upon arriving we was unable to check in they said they would get started on it 3 comes around they let us check in but still have not started it was after 5 before they finished when we arrived in the room in the kitchen there was dirty dishes the microwave was not clean and the floors were dirty I pulled down the covers there was small black looking bugs and on the other the sheets looked like they had something spilled the air unit had mold all in it and the dishes were put a way dirty I have included pictures to show u and when I swept u can see there was a dead dried up scorpion I have worked in hotels and I know this is not the way a room is suppose to be this is down right disgusting the maid didn't seem like she even likes her job something needs to be done because this is a really nice hotel but it is filthy
I travel alot and stay in different hotels all year long, bestwestern is my favorite, fast check in and chexk outs, great kitchenette, best of all im able to get my rest . Always a bbq pitt available.
Poor house keeping. The room was filthy, with dead bugs and leftover food such as seeds on the floor from previous guests. The room had a terrible dirty odor and the bathroom was disgusting in need of repairs and better cleaning. Dust was visible throughout the room. Poor lighting and very noisy. Mold was present on lower parts of the baseboards and wall as you enter the room. The worst part was finding a live scorpion near the bed on the floor as I was helping my 6 year old change into pjs. He was barefoot and the scorpion was less than an inch away from his foot. My husband killed it luckily before it struck any of us and he took it to show the staff and all they did was laugh it off and say they found scorpions in the kitchen and stairs. Nothing was done about it. I didn't sleep that night watching out for other scorpions. Terrible experience. Do not stay there.
I stayed here for five nights. The bed was really comfortable, which counted for a lot. The staff was friendly and courteous, but the service lacked professionalism. I cannot understand not replenishing breakfast supplies when they run out. On Monday morning there were no tea bags. When I asked politely at the front desk, I was told, “No, we don't have tea bags.” I remarked that this was a bit unusual, and the answer was, “Well, we did have them, but we don't now.” How hard would it be for someone to drive less than a mile to the grocery store to buy tea bags? By Wednesday there was no more butter. A tub of Country Crock had been put out for sharing. Butter was not replenished on Thursday or Friday. I do not believe my room was ever cleaned. The towels were replaced and the bed tidied a bit, but I saw no evidence of cleaning—for example, crumbs on the counter in the morning were on the counter in the afternoon. Also some in my group deliberately put the “Do not disturb” signs on their door, but staff entered anyway to replace towels. There was a weird odor that hit me each time I entered my room. In addition, my stomach was dicey all week, making me think perhaps I shouldn't have used the ice machines (I bought a large container of water for the week). I have stayed in several Best Westerns, and have always been satisfied with both rooms and service. Best Western needs to have a talk with the management in Dilley.
Best Western is probably going to be my best choice of hotels. I've stayed in many great ones, and some not so great, but Best Western is by far the best one, they have great laundromat facility's, great looking rooms, very comfortable beds and probably one of the best complimentary hot breakfasts around. I look forward to staying with y'all again.
This hotel was clean enough. Rooms were huge. Staff was extremely friendly. The giant Texas-shaped waffles available for breakfast changed my life. The other breakfast food was good too. This hotel looks like the nicest and best option if you want to be in Dilley.
Great place to stay for business. Very accomodating and friendly staff. I have stayed here a total of 18 nights during the past seven months, and plan on staying here again as often as I need to be in the area.
It was a very pleasant stay in Dilley, TX. Very nice hotel and the decor was very pleasing. Would have like some potatoes for breakfast, but other that, very tasty. You won't be able to find any near by fine dinning.
First time in Dilley Texas and first time at this Best Western. Bed was comfortable and room was quite. All equipment in fitness center was functional. Wireless internet was very poor, so don't expect to get alot or work done if you require a good internet connection. Breakfast was below average in my opinion. Went for breakfast at 6:30 and there was no regular coffee creamer, no yogurt, and the eggs were watery and mushy.
Quality Hotel, great breakfast and coffee, great beds and pillows. Blanca at front desk went above and beyond in finding and saving an important list of hunters I had accidentally left in the lobby. She took pictures and sent to me saving me hours of time going through text messages. I am now a loyal BW customer.
We have stayed in 5 BW plus hotels in TX, always awesome, and this one was a HUGE disappointment. Staff rude, unfriendly, and hotel cleanliness was poor. Staff on cell phones or obvious personal calls very unprofessional and then were not happy if you asked for towels, toilet paper, etc...
Breakfast was always fresh and hot and rooms nice and Clean. Gr8 Customer service. Thumbs up and no complaints whosoever. Planning future stays witth FAMILY and friends.....Thank you ?? keep up the good job.
the bed was out of this world. the shower was nice and hot. nothing but friendly smiles from the staff at check-in and the staff at check-out. the breakfast was good. I will definitely stay here the next trip I make to dilley, tx
Overall Service was great, everyone was nice. The hotel was dirty due to workers being there but i saw 2 people working very hard to keep it clean. With oilfield workers being there its understandable that dirt on the floors is gonna be there, although the price of the room for the area is a little high, the hotel next door and the hotels 15 mins away are half the price, but this closest to our destination
Handicap rooms were available on a reservation not at the actual. Hotel rooms reserved we're not available at check-in. Handicap rooms were on 2nd&3rd floor unacceptable. What does Department needed to be trained better and also housekeeping
#1 no discounts on rate if you are a rewards member. Not even Diamond Select. 2, breakfast was not worth going in there. Coffee was great. 3, can't use your rewards cards for anything but room deduction. 4, there is not any room service if you stay more than one night. No even trash take out. Clean on first night. After that I guess you clean it yourself. 5, the check out lady will promptly tell you you get "no discounts. Use your points online." There are 4 other hotels around this BW. Stay at one of them or drive on to Pleasanton.
nice place for the price. I went there for business, not for pleasure; hence, my outlook is all about work and not pleasure. I don't know why this dang thing wants to hear more about my review than I already wrote. I don't have time for this.
I went to go visit my brother. I got there around 6:00 am & the lady that works over night was amazing she left my cousins eat breakfast & hang out at the hotel while I was visiting my brother. I asked for an early check in & they gave me the room as soon as it became available. Thank you so much guys.
Clean, new hotel and good value for the $$. Make sure you book an even number room!!!!! I was in 221. The parking lot has massive lights and the rooms have plantation shutters. When I turned off the lights, I could almost read because of the light. They need curtains. The offramp is right there, so semis jake brake all night and are very loud. I also found out while in the shower, I didnt have shampoo..2 conditioners
I've stayed at this particular facility on several occasions and it has always been a great experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. After the first visit they remembered me when I returned over a month later. Nice lobby lounge to grab a snack and a beverage in the evening. Although I haven't tried the breakfast I have a number of coworkers who said it is excellent.
I have stayed here 5 times in the last year since it opened. Considering it is only slightly over a year old, the rooms are dirty and dirtier each time with the floors not swept and literally crap all around the backside of the toilet on the floor. Sad because it's a beautiful building in a simple way. I come from northern states where we have some blanket weight on the bed. It would be nice if there were extra blankets in the closet. I visit family in Dilley so this has always been most convenient but I will stay in Pearsall my upcoming visit in 3 weeks. Someone else said this compares to Hampton. I strongly disagree. I would say it compares more to a Quality Inn.
We were there for a Lions meeting. The staff was very attentive and breakfast was great1 Thank yu! We arrived in the afternoon. the receptionist was very friendly. It was nice to have fresh coffee available to us in the cafe. We attended a reception in the evening in a room that was clean and comfortable.
Ok overall this hotel is very nice, I have no problems with the decor, rooms, anything, only stayed for one night and despite what happened that was probably plenty. My room was on the third floor, which was spacious, since it was a disabled access room, which had a king size bed, 37"tv, nice selection of channels, comfortable chair with ottoman, work desk, fridge and microwave. Shower in bathroom leaked onto floor and that's not good, design flaw really. Breakfast was ok, decent selection, but the whole mike was spoiled, I asked ot pay cash which the lady at check in, made a note and said ok, in the morning I found out otherwise. Whats the point of saying and promising, and not following through.
Love the look very nice, staff is very friendly and professional. But I gotta say I have a complaint... Where's the water? You want me to have to purchase a bottled water? Cmon y'all are better than that, all other locations I've stayed have it.
This brand new hotel is sparkling clean and has all the design features you'd expect in a premium business traveler type motel like the Hampton and Holiday Inn Express. The price is a premium to most of the beds in town but you get what you pay for. Good hot breakfast too.
