Our check in person was so friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner. We were pulling a trailer with a classic vehicle and she made sure we were comfortable with the parking spot. Room was clean and the little courtyard was great for sitting outside and cooling off. The breakfast was a nice surprise too, cooked eggs from scratch with all the fixings for breakfast burritos. Great little place to stay.
This nice little hotel was clean and modern. The pool was well maintained with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff was friendly, Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Was not noisy. They don't allow local checkins so no party animals to disturb our stay.
I wasn't expecting a 5-star experience, but this hotel staff made it feel like such. Lots of personal touches to show they care about their guests and their experience while there. Highly recommend!
Nicely renovated and clean rooms. Cold AC. No noise from neighbors. Nice small pool and a sitting area that is smoker-friendly.
Clean and good location that was easy to find but just off the beaten path. The pool area felt like a backyard oasis. Good seating and lounge chairs, swing, waterfall and pretty landscaping. Definitely didn't feel like you were at a hotel/motel
This is the very best….. Best Western in Texas !!!!!' The staff is always very welcoming… And of course, mom‘s breakfast is just like eating at the dining room table at your mother‘s house
Very clean rooms and nice service, Stayed for five nights and had a nice time if i am ever in the area again i will definitely stay at this Best Western again and recommend it to my coworker and friends
Quiet and decent room, but the gray/gray/gray color scheme coupled with cool white led lighting was dismal. Tasty free breakfast, made to order on the spot, but limited to eggs, sausage, bacon. Bed was comfy. Front desk staff were very friendly. Motel is an older style, but has been updated a little bit. Not too many options in Burnet, so this is probably the best. It's not really close to anything but a tiny minimart next door.
The room was attractive and clean. The bed very comfortable. I liked the shower only (no tub). The lounge area for breakfast was clean and welcoming. I do plan on staying there again when I visit Burnet. Good location.
A gem in Burnet!! We stayed here over Thanksgiving and found the room and entire site very well maintained and clean. The icing on the cake was the staff though. All we encountered, both while booking (and making updates to our reservation) and during our stay, were extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
The room was clean, cozy, and very comfy. Best sleep I've had traveling in awhile. On top of all that the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Of course the waffles were great, but they had yogurt parfaits, free Belgium waffles, hashbrown casserole, fresh scrambled eggs when ordered, toast, bagels, sausage, orange juice and more. My girlfriend didn't eat breakfast because she was too sleepy, but they let my dad join me for breakfast since he lived right up the road.
The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast was fantastic, and hotel was clean. One of the best breakfast buffets I have seen at a Best Western hotel. I would stay here again and highly recommend if you are in the area.
This is a great hotel. Even though it is on a main road, it is quiet. Friendly staff and delicious breakfast. We stay here every time we visit my M-I-L even though there are plenty of hotels in Marble Falls that are closer. Hubby and I love this place.
Our room at the Best Western Post Oak Inn was clean, which is my first priority. However, I found the room dark. It needed more lighting and some brighter bedspreads. Ours was a dark blue. There wasn't much counter space in the bathroom, but we made do. I liked the friendliness of all staff that I encountered. They were very helpful, too. For breakfast, the eggs and potatoes were good, the sausage just okay. I would suggest a pot of real oatmeal, rather than instant. The Hostess products were very stale. On the whole, however, breakfast staff were very helpful and eager to please, which was appreciated. The grounds were beautiful as well.
Stayed one night after visiting Inks Lake State Park. Service was excellent, workers super friendly, especially the breakfast attendant, Mr. Joe, beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. An added bonus was the back patio area with the swing overlooking the pool. Really relaxing! Overall a lovely stay and will be returning in the future.
My grandma and I stayed here a couple nights between visiting Marble Falls. Linda was working when we checked in, and she was great. She was very personable and I felt so welcomed. The room was clean, standard hotel room. Nothing really to write home about. Breakfast was different as I had never gone to a Best Western with a breakfast attendant. The food was basic but tasty and filling. Someone that works at the hotel makes hot sauce and salsa verde and brings it to share with the guests, and that salsa verde is phenomenal. I wanted to take the bottle home with me! All of that staff was so kind and helpful, my grandma and I felt well taken care of. The right people are working there for service and hospitality!
It was a pleasure staying at this property. Thank you, Susan, for accommodating our early arrival and late departure due to our grandson's baseball games. Thank you, Joe, for serving breakfast and the variety provided. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning was excellent - especially appreciated after a 102 heat index all day at the ballpark. We also appreciated the bottles of water. The next time we come to Burnet we will stay here.
price was very reasonable and very helpful all of the staff was very friendly, the rooms and the grounds were very clean not to mention the breakfast was awesome i will defiantly recommend and will stay again
A perfect stay! Staff was friendly and got us checked in quickly. We were in a quiet room and had a great night sleep. Breakfast was pretty good as well and the gentleman serving breakfast was so nice! Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better stay. I will definitely stay here again.
The wonderful and friendly staff who helped with our check-in. We were in the handicapped room due to husband's heart problems and my recent foot surgery. Room was clean and comfortable. Great breakfast. Who could ask for more!
I had read other positive reviews and decided to give this place a try for a one night stopover on the way to our destination. It did not disappoint! Check in was easy, employees were all very friendly, room was very clean, bed was great, internet was fine, and breakfast was good. On a main road so a little road noise but didn't bother us and the place felt very safe. Would definitely stop here overnight again.
I happened upon this BW by chance, I was in the middle of a motorcycle rally and we had a mandatory rest period which put me near this BW. I checked in at midnight on a cold 30 degree night and took a hot shower and got in bed, only had a 6 hour sleep window and the next morning in my haste to get back to the rally I left my watch and wedding ring. They called and informed me before I even knew i had left them, I requested they mail to me and she said happen 1st thing Monday morning. Tuesday the package arrived with my watch and ring enclosed.
This is a older hotel, but don't let that discourage you. The management has taken great strides to make this a great place to stay. The rooms are modern and updated. The breakfast was hot and the server was a welcome experience.
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. They made the food in small amounts so it was fresh and hot. The service was the best I've experienced. The location was convenient. We would definitely stay here again.
I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting the Hill Country. It is in a great location and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of. We stayed here to ride the Devil's Backbone and I will admit that not only were the accommodations great but the staff made sure that not just my group but everyone was well taken care of. There was an elderly lady who was having problems with the waffle maker and the breakfast lady helped her to make it and even when it was done the breakfast lady went and fixed it for her. That is what I call going above and beyond. You don't see that hardly anymore.
Good Spacious room. Clean room and bathroom. The shower has a non-skid bottom and two grab bars. Spacious sink area. The bed is comfortable. Spacious work table with a chair that raises to a proper typing height. Good WiFi. Breakfast is good. Not good The lights above the sink area shine directly into the face of someone still in bed. There should be a partial wall from the ceiling down about 3 ft. to block at least some of the light. Having to sign into the WiFi EVERY day is somewhat of a pain. Overall, this is a good motel choice.
I was our 2nd stay at this facility. It is a surprisingly clean, well upgraded motel with very cordial and pleasant staff. Décor is very good and the free breakfast far exceeds any of the large chains. We highly highly recommend staying at this motel.
I have stayed here every summer for the past few years to pick my daughter up from CLH Indian Springs. It is extremely clean. The staff is AMAZING and very friendly. Breakfast is quick and easy. They happily helped me put together a to go plate for my little since we had to leave early. The pool area is great and very relaxing. The AC works GREAT! Which is important in late July in the Hill County. I look forward to seeing them again next year.
Super clean, friendly staff, good location, didn't worry about our vehicle in location and comfortable beds. I would stay there again. They do serve breakfast but we didn't eat because we woke up too late. The pool are was very clean and nice.
This Best Western is very clean and well-maintained! There are plenty of breakfast options, and the pool area is a super pleasant place to relax. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly; we had a lovely time!
You will not fiend a more friendly & helpful hotel staff than this location. Rooms were great, comfortable beds, good location, everything worked, breakfast was great, will stay here again in the future.
I'm always apprehensive about hotels as I've stayed in some dirty ones. The Best Western in Burnet was very clean. The room was spotless. Everyone was friendly as well. I would happily stay here again.
This hotel is great , nice clean and quiet room, good value for the price , and pet friendly too is a plus. The management, front desk, maintenance and housekeeping staff were friendly, good breakfast. we come to visit family here in Burnet
Been staying at this hotel for local training for the past 3 years. Always helpful staff and clean room. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was quick and tasted good. Haven't had any trouble with noise.
CLEAN, RESTFUL, CONVENIENT—we prefer having car near our room. Lovely Showers, great hot water pressure. Nice breakfast served promptly during scheduled hours, saving us much time & allowing for more family visiting. We all agreed that the Post Oak was great❗️
Everything was clean and comfortable. The room was nicely prepared, the grounds were well kept, the host team was attentive and helpful, and we had a great time. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Torr Na Lochs or other Texas wineries!
My significant other and I spent 3 nights at the best western and during the day we rode the hills on our spyder our stay was just wonderful and the staff so friendly! Can't wait to get time off to come back!
I had a long day and needed to stay the night I looked online and found a Best Western near me so I called and made reservations the person was fast and very nice and helpful asked how I was made me feel good so when I made it to the motel they already had my paper work ready it took maybe five minutes and I had my key very good got to my room and everything was nice and clean I was very satisfied thank you for another comfortable stay at your hotel
From checking in to checking out it was perfect. You will be very surprised at the home cooked breakfast. Very clean and a great stay with not one complaint. No problem finding this hotel and plenty of parking. I forgot to say maybe one of the best beds I have slept on.
Took a holiday road trip just to get away and relax. Had never been to this particular hotel. Booked a stay here based on great attitude of Linda, who answered the phone. She was great. Was not disappointed
We really enjoyed our stay. We were greeted by the front desk and everything was peaceful and clean. Breakfast was good but they did have someone get your food and drink which caused a wait since there was only 1 person serving. On the upside, less people were touching the serving area. The gentleman serving was kind and worked efficiently to get everyone served.
Easily the best all around hotel experience you will find. The staff is friendly and always accommodating. The breakfast is always great. Great internet service. Very nice pool area!! The owners did not cut any corners when they remodeled!! Fairly new furniture and furnishings in the rooms.
Great place for the area if passing thru. Did not go without, had everything needed, breakfast, amenities and close parking. All staff very friendly, which can make or break your welcome. Will stay again when the need arises.
Good Room and bathroom were clean. Eggs, sausage, and potato at breakfast was very good. Strong room WiFi. Toilet clog was reported to front desk at early AM and they provided a key to a next door room for personal needs. Perfect guest service! While still in the overnight room, the maintenance staff, on the person's day off, came to the room before 9 am and fixed the toilet clog. More perfect guest service! Very nice, friendly staff. Not good No plain unsweetened oatmeal for diabetics and pre-diabetics. The sink area is in the sleep area. This puts light directly into the face of someone trying to sleep. A light block should be in place at ceiling height that would block the direct light. Overall Give this motel your business. They are renovating and will do what is reasonable to accommodate guests.
The bed was horrible. Pillows flat. Comforter thin as paper. I don't know why you would go through the trouble of having such a nice staff in facility and then come up extremely short on the sleeping experience. Buy a new beds pillows and comforters and you will have more people stay.
I highly recommend this hotel. Lucy and her staff were very friendly. The rooms were very clean, never had a problem. They served a full breakfast and it was very good. Lucy was very knowledgeable about what Burnet and the surrounding cities had to offer. Will most definitely stay again.
The people that work there are great always get the same room and parking awesome love the location I travel there for work and sometimes just to get away I only stay at best western but none of the others will beat the one in burnet Texas just all around great one
The location is a little sketchy and I did not feel comfortable staying here as a woman traveling alone. The bed/pillows/linens were comfortable and the room was clean (as the reviews state), but the tub was gross. Not a good fit for me, but may be a good choice for other types of travelers. I feel the room was overpriced as well. However, the staff was nice.
We have stayed here every time we make a trip to Burnet. The staff is always welcoming and friendly at all times. We always cant wait to for our next trip. The breakfast is always so good and fresh. The pool area is always so nice and clean.
This is a wonderful older style, one This is an older style, one-story hotel. It is updated with all amenities. The General Manager was outstanding as were all other hotel staff. Very clean! Will definitely stay there again!
Very nice grounds and newly remodeled. Gave us a very courteous late check in and then hot breakfast choices. We are looking forward to coming back and bringing family with us to visit. Great value for the money.
This was a very friendly and clean motel/hotel without the cost. This was just renovated and my wife and I had a wonderful stay there. Good breakfast and great staffs waiting to assist you at all times.
This is one of the very cleanest and well-maintained hotels that I have ever stayed in. All of the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. I didn't swim but maybe some other time. The pool area is has pergola that's a great place to sit in the morning or evening, or anytime.
The room was small but clean. Plenty of room for my small family. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to this town. The price was good also. The pool looked clean but we didn't swim because it was pretty chilly outside.
Excellent customer service. I was very impressed with the staff. The room was clean and everything met expectations. I had to reschedule my stay because of the winter storm and the manager was incredibly kind and let me change my reservation on the day of check in.
I am one of the people who were stranded in my home without water this past week. We were lucky enough to book the last room at this motel. Rick, the owner, could not have been nicer! Also Reggie. To tell you the truth, I was skeptical about a small motel in a small town. Happily, the room was spotless, warm, with plenty of hot water!! Breakfasts were like-home-cooked! Additionally, Rick delivered meals to a 90-year-old disabled couple in their room. We cannot say enough good things about this Best Western! A true community-oriented business.
This stay was fabulous. During the Covid era, it's comforting to know that you can avoid overcrowded elevators to get to your room and just park directly in front of it. The cleanliness was superb. Everything worked in my room. Top notch customer service at the front desk with check in experience. The woman at check in offered personable service and recommendations based on my reason of stay which she politely inquired about. I will certainly stay again when in the area.
Very clean and nice. Breakfast in the morning was great and really filled us up before a day of hiking. The staff was kind, courteous, and extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Civic precautions were great!!!
We needed a clean one night stay while traveling, this was perfect. Staff is helpful and very hospitable. Room opens to outside. Mini fridge, microwave, keurig with k-cups, and other hotel amenities. Rooms clean and clean clean!
This property is well maintained and upgrades are happening everyday. Breakfast is generous and well served. It's apparent the owners take pride in this property and their manager, Linda, will make you feel right at home!
Great Little Hotel. Wasn't expecting much since locale is a small rural town. But rooms were unexpectedly nice for a rural hotel and service was great. Served a hot breakfast that was good and hotel is located within walking distance to local restaurants.
We were long overdue for a weekend away from the city and Burnet fit the bill as a relatively quiet area with few reported cases of the virus. The BW Post Oak Inn's location was ideal - in town, yet on the way to wineries, State Parks, and the Vanishing Texas River cruise. The Inn is basically an older motel style place, with outside doors to the room and parking directly in front, except by the pool. The inside, however, shows no sign of age and is updated and well-maintained. Masks and social distancing are currently required in the main lobby area and breakfast is served to order behind a plexiglass shield. In addition to the inside dining area, there are a couple of tables outside by the pool under an attractive pergola surrounded by native landscaping. The staff, both at the front desk and in the breakfast area, were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was meticulously clean and updated. Bed linens spotless and comfy beds/pillows? Check. Fridge and microwave working and clean? Check. Do the blackout curtains actually black the outdoor lights? Not a single crack in coverage. Spotless bathroom? Ample hot water and working showerhead? Absolutely. In fact, our only quibbles with the hotel were very minor - the provided toiletries were a little skimpy, which the front desk/housekeeping quickly remedied, and we had a problem with cable access on one ESPN channel. On the other hand, we were somewhat annoyed with some of our fellow guests. Yes, there is always that inconsiderate group that talk loudly in the hallways at unreasonable hours. But, here, we also had a large number of guests drove very large overpowered pickup trucks and seemed to feel that they had to crank them up and leave them idling while they did, well, whatever, including discussing it loudly and hollering to one another before their pre-dawn excursion. Next time, I would request a room by the pool to at least mute the noise. So, yes, there would definitely be a next time if we are back in the area.
Room smell upon arrival, changes in cleaning rooms , and so called breakfast, nnot worth the walk food tasted old and dried out, Part of the reason I stayed was to have breakfast before I left. Will not stay at another Best Western.
Great experience! We booked one night prior to picking our daughter up from Camp Longhorn which is 15-20 minutes drive from Best Western. Very Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Free breakfast was good and sanitation was noticed and appreciated.
My and my elderly dog's unplanned stay in Burnet turned out great. We had a restful time at the Best Western because the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean and attractive. Rosita's Restaurant was just down the road and a river walk with ducks and turtles and fountain within walking distance. A state park is a few miles south. Peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.

Toilet paper, guest room lighting, staff front desk morning all very poor / rude. lighting in room so bad had to use flash light to find something dropped on the floor. the grab and go breakfast was a joke
We saw the great reviews on this hotel in the small town of Burnett. The front staff was helpful & friendly, the room was well cleaned & the breakfast was wonderful. It was a short stay but would highly recommend!!
My room in this hotel was spotless! It looked like it had been newly re-done. The step in shower was great -- plenty of room with a non-slippery floor. The morning breakfast was great, better than most with a wide selection of food. While it was too cold to use the pool, the pool area is beautiful and inviting. Highly recommend this place to stay.
Good and clean and it's amazing and good breakfast clean restroom and towels like it a lot and quite abs good to cook out like it alots wouldn't trade best western at all very good owners and clean...
Great hotel for the price. Staff went out of their way to return an item I left in the room after I returned home. Great staff. This was a great place to stay while visiting Inks Lake State Park. Highly recommend
This place never disappoints. They are personal and take care of their guests. Every morning I go to breakfast I am impressed. The other day I was the only one in there because it was early and they came in and made fresh eggs for me. As long as they keep their managers they have who do a great job this place will remain my go to place. Their rooms are clean and the yard is pleasant and very inviting. No complaints here.
We have stayed at the Best Western Post Oak Inn several times in the last 6 years. The remodel and upgrade has really improved the property. The decor is nice and the bed was very comfortable. The landscaping and pool area are really nice. Breakfast quality seemed better. We will probably stay here again in the spring when we visit family.
The staff was attentive!! Breakfast was delicious! Rooms were spotless, comfortable, and all equipment worked well. Nice and quiet, even though it's on a highway. Well run. Definitely staying here again!!
The room is nicely furnished and clean, the breakfast has a great selection and quality. The motel is located in a very quiet section and I always have a restful stay. The front desk is very courteous at all times.
Rick and his team do everything to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. The hotel is well maintained and it shows they take pride in the appearence of the hotel. No Noise, comfortable beds, and very clean rooms. Great place to stay.
This is a typical older property with all guest doors opening to parking area. I've stayed here perhaps 5 times over the past 15 years. Each stay has been pleasant with clean rooms, bountiful breakfast, and helpful desk and kitchen personnel. I found the property very recently upgraded at this stay, including new carpet, paint, furniture—even new pavement of parking areas. The cost of my one-night stay was very reasonable ($80.00). Highly recommended.
Really enjoyed the cleanliness of this property. Would highly recommend this hotel for the price. Location is easy to find, with friendly service grating you at the door. Alsothe pool area is unique and clean.
Our ministry team stays here at least four time a year always working to improve this property unlike some places we stay at the staff and management is top of the line.Truly make you feel welcome.Cant go wrog staying here
Really appreciated how I was assisted when I made my reservation. They worked with me to match the cost of my previous reservation with them. As a veteran, I'm very thankful. Last reservation I worked with Herman. This time I don't recall. I believe he was also an owner/manager
Clean and comfortable. Staff was excellent. Close to everything in town. Staff made us feel welcome and we will stay there again.. Dining recommendations were spot on. Overall we really enjoyed our trip to Burnet.
Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. We thought the beds were comfortable. Grounds well maintained. Breakfast area was immaculate and fully stocked. Definitely recommend this hotel!
Except for the beds being uncomfortable this hotel was beautiful with friendly staff and an awesome breakfast. The pool was also beautiful and clean with a nice patio above it to sit and enjoy the evening.
We stayed here last weekend. The room was fine. The shower was nice but the lighting was weird. I like a dark room which was not this room. The outside lights were very bright and there was no way to block them. Our room was a courtyard room which was very quiet. Friendly staff all around.
Typical hotel. Beds could've been softer and they have those little square pillows. But everything else was good. Front desk staff very nice. Good breakfast instead of the usual continental bare minimum.
A wonderful place to stay.Rooms are very clean and updated . Have been staying here about four times a year for the past ten years or so.Always quite and area outside always kept clean. The staff (Linda) always seems to be glad to have you there. Always correct any problems instantly, all places do not do that most seem not to care if you are there or not
This hotel is wonderful, particularly Mr. Patel. He is very helpful & friendly with a warm smile at all times. He verbally welcomed us into the breakfast area each morning & kept it clean and well stocked. The pool area is beautiful & peaceful although it was too cold to enjoy. The rooms are large, clean, comfortable and very quiet. There's so much to do in the area we were sad to leave this hotel! Great value for the price. Only thing I didn't like was the cool white light in the room but I quickly got over that.
Nice room and a very nice serene pool courtyard area with well kept grounds, soothing trickling water, lounge chairs, swinging bench, etc. Mr. Rick Patel was really really friendly. He kept the breakfast area immaculate and was very welcoming. Good location.
Rather than leveling this little motel to build a high-rise hotel, it has been remodeled, keeping the old, park in front of your room footprint. The rooms have been nicely updated and the wifi is solid. It's a bit inconvenient to get to breakfast if the weather isn't the best, but it is certainly worth it. They served one of the best breakfasts I have had at this caliber of hotel. Also, the staff is very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I'm not a reviewer who typically says much about hotel staff. I do not stay at luxury resorts and usually check in with few expectations. However, the staff was so cordial and accommodating that I felt I must mention it.
Apparently this motel has been here for years and has undergone a variety of iterations and has belonged to different hotel chains over the years. The motel is on the grounds of what was once a drive in theater. We stayed here two nights. The room appeared to have been recently painted and updated. The bed was comfortable, and the water was hot. The towels were clean, the WiFi was EXCELLENT and the room was quiet. If you simply need a nice place to sleep with a breakfast included, then this is the place for you. However, in the remodel, the lighting that was installed is too “cold” - everything has a blue cast and with the dark blue wall, I personally found the room to be uninviting. There is simply no ambience to this room. I like a room that is warm and inviting. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. There was ample parking. Again, a nice, clean motel - a place to get a night's sleep.
Thanks for making my stays at Best Western fun and enjoyable. The rooms are everything a guest should want. Very clean bedding, carpets and most expensive new driveway with new paint on yellow curbs. Very professional entrance to check in. Very nice swimming pool, arbor, ambience of garden is excellent.
They have done some renovations and are currently redoing the parking lot. The staff, both night and mornings are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again! the beds are very comfortable. The pool area is nice. I just wish they had a hot tub or jacuzzi.
Older motel, that being said it clean, great shower and comfortable bed, breakfast was very good, the lobby was remodeled and nice,we were staying there while playing in a golf tournament,I thought it was a bit pricey but no more than the any of the rest
This hotel is impeccably maintained, excellent wide variety of breakfast choices, friendly customer oriented staff, and excellent management. Found this on Trip Advisor and would highly recommend. Safe, clean, quiet, great in room amenities.
The room was great. The breakfast was great. The personnel were great. All in all, I would have given this a higher rating but it seemed to me that the room was priced a little too high for the area and season.
I have never been disappointed when staying here for a Spartan, Bonefrog or Green Beret Challenge. Always takes good care of us. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in town while still being near the venues.
A nice simple hotel. Good rooms, we reserved the handicap room and really appreciated the handicap bathroom amenities. Front desk was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and Linda was greeting everyone and making sure they had anything they needed. If I stay in Burnet again I expect to stay here again.
My stay at the Best Western Post Oak Inn in Burnet, Texas was very pleasant and comfortable. I was met at the front desk with a smile and manager, Linda McCollum had my room keys and room ready for me to move-in. This hotel room has been updated with new renovations, including new beds, new paint and comfortable chairs. In my opinion, the Best Western Post Oak Inn is a wonderful hotel and Burnet, Texas is lucky to have such a well run organization.
I always enjoy staying here, as I prefer the motel style to be able to park right outside my door and not lug luggage down hallways. The management and staff here have always without exception been very friendly and chatty, and make sure to ask me if I need anything else to make the stay better. They've newly renovated and in my opinion takes it up a star in quality/niceness. The room was modern and classy, clean, dry, and well-stocked with appliances and amenities. The free breakfast in the lobby has tons of options and is tasty! The few minor problems were carefully taken note of by the checkout clerk to inform maintenance (whining fan light in bathroom and a bubbling area of the ceiling by the front door that might be a new leak- but water wasn't dripping). This is nit-picky, but the light bulbs used are all cold daylight-balanced rather than a warmer and more pleasing tungsten-balanced. Shower pressure could also be better, but water gets nice and hot quickly, and toilet and sink pressure are fine. AC/heater/fan in the bedroom worked very well.
Easiest check in i have ever had. We were in the room within 5 minutes of our arrival. Just enough space for a family of 4 to stay in. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked. Breakfast was hot and very good. The lady even made eggs the way one gentleman asked for. She kept plenty of food for everyone. We will definitely stay here if we spend more than a day in burnet.
Great place to stay if in the Burnnet area. clean rooms and comfortable beds. Great helpful staff as well. Have stayed there before in the heat of summer and the ice machines all worked. Breakfast is included with the room and was pretty good. Staff willing to prepare eggs to your request.
This is a very nice, updated, "motel" very near a few of the Hill Country wineries, which is why we chose it. The room was recently renovated and very clean. Lobby was gorgeous and breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed at this hotel for just an overnight whilst driving through the Hill Country. It was comfortable and very clean and good value for money. The Reception staff were very welcoming and were happy to answer any questions and make recommendations of where to visit locally and where to eat. Sadly the weather was not good so we did not make use of the pool area which looked liked it would have been lovely on a sunny day.
Reasonable rates, clean rooms, friendly staff and included delicious breakfast buffet! (one of the best this traveler has seen). There is such a variety of choices on the buffet that you won't leave disappointed need. With mini fridge, microwave and table in the room you can dine in if desired. This motel is a great base to venture from for day trips- parks and lakes nearby, shops, two local wineries and a delicious, renowned BBQ Shack nearby!
We stayed at the Best Western Post Oak Inn while spending two days in and around Lake Buchanan and Lake LBJ. The room was nice, staff very helpful. The room had wifi and free internet, with a microfridge and microwave.
I had to stay a week out of town because I was working in Bertram and the best closest rated hotel/motel was in Burnett and I chose Best Western Post Oak Inn. You can park in fron tof your room, the pool was nice and cool there is a nice seating area by the pool. The rooms had their own a/c units to control your temperature. The showers were hot and a lot of water pressure. The rooms were decorated very nicely, comforatable pillows and the beds were pretty firm. The lobby and business center at the front was really nicely decorated and the breakfast area had great decor. The breakfast had plenty of options, eggs, hasbrowns, sausage, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, hot chocolate, coffee, mufins, toast, fruit, cereal, juices. Very clean
THUMBS UP ALL THE WAY EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT AT THIS GREAT LITTLE MOTEL room was spotless staff was very friendly and helpfull breakfast was good and area was very clean highley recomend this BEST WESTERN MOTEL
We only stayed 2 nights, but the room, front desk staff, breakfast area, EVERYTHING was top notch! Don't waste money on bigger chain hotels, as this one is cozy and offers everything you need. Very, very clean! Will definitely stay here again when in the area!!
We have stayed at the Post Oak Inn in Burnet every August for about 10 years now when picking our kids up from Camp. It is an older builidng, but it is in tip top shape. Every year they seem to have updated from our previous visit. The rooms are quiet and always very clean. There is a lovely pool area and a really good breakfast. The front desk staff is absolutely delightful and makes our reservations every year. You really can't beat this with any other place in the area. Highly recommend.
Stayed here fri - sun. Two rooms. Very nice place, everything clean. Nice pool and cabana area. Great selections for breakfast, something for everyone. Staff very friendly. 'Would stay here again and would recommend!
We always stay here when we are visiting the Bertram/Burnet, Texas area. The folks are just as friendly as can be, and even though the motel is older, it has EVERYTHING you need. They are always remodeling and every time we come, it gets nicer and nicer. This year we noticed they had repaved their sidewalks with very nice tile. The beds are very comfortable and have four pillows to each bed. They have 2 queen beds per room, full ironing board and iron, blow dryer, mini fridge and microwave, bedside table and alarm clock, large flat screen tv with cable, internet, 3 drawer dresser, large chest, table and 2 chairs, luggage holder, plenty of towels, maid service, shampoos, soaps, kleenex, notepads, pen, phone, etc., and even one of those little fancy coffee makers - Keurig in the room with supplies. They have a gated swimming pool and area to sun bathe for the family! And, of course, they have the ice machines near by. Now, the breakfast is always great! Each day it changes a bit. They have a self service area for pancakes and waffles. They even have sugar free syrup which is good for those who prefer it. They have muffins, small pastries, strawberries, blueberries, oranges, bananas, oatmeal, three types of cereal, a yogart machine, bread to make toast, croissants, and then the hot items changed each morning. One morning we had two types of sausage, breakfast potatoes, and scrambled eggs. The next morning we had large round sausage and bacon, hash browns, and eggs. The third morning we had bacon and sausage, hash browns and breakfast potatoes, and eggs with peppers. It was always good. They also serve orange juice, fruit juice, milk, bottled water, and coffee. There is a hostess who is very welcoming, who also refills the food and keeps the tables clean between guests. In previous trips, they also served biscuits and sausage gravy. That is always my favorite there, but I believe they do that in the winter months instead. There is a newer hotel in Burnet, but we never stay there. You are going to get so much better pricing here, and the breakfast makes it even a better value. So, call directly for great prices! This is just an older nice motel, nothing too fancy, but very friendly with an awesome breakfast! We have stayed here many times, and we will be back!!!
The manager of the Burnett Best Western was extremely considerate and understanding when she was informed that our reservations at Marble Falls were inaccessible for my husband and assured us one of the two rooms she had available would be saved for us. Not only was the staff professional and very helpful, this Best Western was probably one of the best we've stayed at anywhere in the US. I also extend kudos to Shelby, the night clerk at Marble Falls, for not leaving us sleeping in the car when she realized a mistake had been made there and went above and beyond to get us accommodations in Burnett.
Room was clean. Didn't look like your normal Best Western. Rooms are all with exterior entrances. Probably and older style motel that has been renovated decently. Would stay again if needed. Mattresses could stand to be replaced soon.
Great location to visit the 2 wineries in the area. close to canyon of the eagles, vanishing river cruise, inks lake , lake buchanan, marble falls. The cost was great, the owners were great and at the desk each morning, the breakfast was very good, the pool area has a tropical feel, great music in the pool area also. The rooms are nice now, but we were told the furniture will be updated very soon, which will make it even nicer when finished.
I stayed in this hotel by chance or destiny, you be the judge. I got there at 1:00 am June 2, 2018 because I had a reservation in a hotel in killeen that caught fire when we were doing the check in. we had a long flight from Puerto Rico, to come to Killeen to pickup our son from school there. When our hotel was closed by the fire Marshall. that weekend was graduation and there were no rooms in Killeen. This was the closes place we could go. What a nice place. Patricia ( i thing this is here name ) took us in and made us feel very welcomed. she made sure that we were comfortable always. Room was clean and very good stay. breakfast was very good. thank you to all there.
I have stayed at the Best Western Hotel on many occasions and find this hotel to deliver the best service in Burnet. The hotel staff and management are courteous and professional. They have earned my repeat business and will continue to patronize this fine establishment.
If you are staying in Burnet, please don't overlook the Best Western on the west end of town. It has been around a while, but stays on top of everything. We have stayed there off and on for many years. It is well run, clean and not fancy, but definitely attractive and up to date. The grounds and pool are very nice.
Clean rooms, nice decor. The internet worked well. The choice of breakfast items was good and was kept stocked. The location is excellent since it located on a good route to get you where you want to go in the area.
Super location. Very clean. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. Nice clean rooms. Close to several restaurants, the lake and blue bonnet drive. Will definitely stay there again when we get the chance. The pool looked inviting, but it was a little cool for me to get in, but was very clean and clear
Our A Girl & A Gun Annual Training Conference was in Burnet. I had reservations for 3 nights at the Best Western Post Oak location. It totally exceeded my expectations. The front desk check -in employee moved some room assignments around so that my friend could have the room next to mine - one of our girls was checking in with heavy luggage and a worker ran to help her take her luggage to her room - the breakfast was excellent and had choices for just about everyone. Great experience.
Upon arriving, the desk clerk was welcoming and friendly. Room was very clean and comfortable. Great location for restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Great pivot point for other areas in Hill country. Highly recommend this hotel!
Just in the area for one night and took a chance on the Best Western and we are glad we did. The people were super Texas friendly, the room was typical cookie cutter but clean but it worked. No it is not the Ritz but if you find yourself in need of a place to stay in this area, this is it.
My husband and I were traveling with sister in law, brother in law and niece. The motel staff was so friendly and accommodating of ours needs. Would definitely stay here again if we were in the area. Very helpful with directions, etc.
The hotel, for not being a luxury brand, was perfect. Clean, well stocked, large room, quiet hvac unit, nice size TV with easy to use remote, comfortable bed and a very friendly, helpful staff. I will definitely stay here when I return next year.
This Best Western is a great value if you're staying anywhere near Burnet or Marble Falls. It is located 2 miles west of Highway 281 but it is quiet and peaceful with a nice pool that is not located right next to the parking lot!
Great staff and breakfast but tiny cramped outdated rooms. Ants in bathroom. Damp smell in room. Crowded over furnished rooms. Workers hanging out in parking area drinking and talking until late hours.
This is a one story ‘Motel' with parking outside your room. Definitely not a BW Hotel. Staff were friendly and ready to supply a list of local restaurants for dinner. The king room was nice sized and had a walk in shower (no tub). Bed and bedding were average with an abundance of pillows. TV had a guide channel- so no need for random surfing to find favorite networks. Outdoor pool area was like an average backyard pool with some furniture and a pergola. Breakfast was typical BW fare.
Best place to stay overnight in Burnet during my travels. Have stayed at least ten times and no problems at all. Have family in area and all relatives stay here when in the area. Safe area. Friendly staff. Clean rooms
This was our first overnight on an eight day road trip. The price was really great, the room was perfect in every way, and the personal touch of Rick was fantastic. Breakfast was superb! Don't let the small town factor keep you from staying here!
Best and most convenient for our combined visit to Liberty Hill and south Austin. Grounds and building are neat and well cared for. Amenities in room were all operational. Room was quiet and odor free. Bed was comfortable. Didn't care much for the green color of the room but my eyes were closed most of the time so wasn't a big deal. Good variety of items in the breakfast area. The coffee is MUCH better in the breakfast area than that in the room.
Although I usually don't have time to partake of breakfast on trips to Burnet, I do know that they have wonderful breakfasts when I do have time to eat! It's not a luxury hotel, nor does it try to be. It is a good, clean place to stay if you're just looking to rest on a hectic business trip, like I always am. I have stayed there twice per year for 4 years and never been disappointed, except that I don't have more time to stay there and experience Burnet, itself.
Lucy was very hospitable and welcoming. The breakfast served by Ms. Linda will make you smile and get you wanting a LOT more than you will be willing to admit! Room was nice, tidy and quiet. Bed was comfortable and soft. I know we'll be staying here again. We'd been staying in Marble Falls but this will be the place we'll be staying from now on.
I have stayed at the Best Western in Burnet on many occasions due to business and I look forward to returning time and time again because the staff is very professional and the rooms are clean, quite and comfortable. I feel that the Post Oak Best Western in Burnet is the best bang for your buck.
Stayed here for visit to Inks Lake State Park. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Staff are very courteous. The daily breakfast was very good, with lots of options. The WIFI in the rooms works well and easy to connect to.
I was in town for a wedding at the Twisted Ranch and stayed at the Best Western this weekend. The place is clean and the staff was very friendly. It looks like they just gave the building a new paint job. The lady that cooks and puts out the breakfast was just wonderful. The food was fresh and very tasty. If you want a good burger, try Bill's right down the street.
This is just a motel, hence do not expect fancy bathrooms or over the top interior design. However the value of services for the money, cleanliness and overall friendliness of staff are worth commending.
Couldn't find a better hotel in the Hill Country. We stay there many weekends during deer season and off season while working on our deer lease. Everyone at this hotel works hard to make your stay the best. Clean rooms, grounds are immaculate and service can't be touched. And the best breakfast. I commend Rick and his folks for always going far, far out of their way to make us feel at home.
Clean room and bathroom. Hot water. Park outside your room. Decent breakfast. I suppose if I was being picky I would have asked for a room in the inner part overlooking the pool. Swimming pool area looked nice but we didn't use it as the weather was not good.
We stayed here since we were going to a wedding at the nearby Log Country Cove. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. The room was super clean. We could park right next to our room. Was very quiet and an easy location to find.
They gave us a nice room with a great roll-in shower for my friend who uses a walker, Also the parking is at the door. Breakfast was good, The location was good for us, We had reservations to ride the Vanishing Cruise on the lake.
again in town for carrieage driving event at Equirena Fields. which is about 10 miles from Hotel. easy drive south on 281 and then rt at main light in burnet and hotel is on rt after the sonic. bnreakfast was good selection and starts at 600a
This is a very quiet motel. The staff is very friendly. They have real coffee.not the instant coffee you get out of a machine. The breakfast is good. We travel all over the country.we found this place yesterday. We are definitely coming back to this motel.
During the great gas shortage of 2017, while traveling to Fort Worth, I found myself a little low on gas. Choosing to stay in Burnet overnight, I had to make a quick decision and Best Western had good reviews. I can attest to the fact that this establishment is fresh, clean, new room appearance, all the bells and whistles, like refrigerator, microwave, Keurig coffeemaker, blow dryer, new flat screen TV and the beds and bathroom amenities, welcoming and plush. I wish I was staying for a more leisurely event but fear was the factor in getting to my next destination. I would highly recommend this lovely hotel for anyone looking for a weekend getaway in the hill country.
Was so tired from driving trying to outrun Hurricane Harvey. Was 2 am and in need of good sleep. Night clerk was very nice and understanding. Room was very nice and quiet. If ever in this part of the state again, would stay here.
The perfect spot to stay each year when picking the kiddos up from camp! Convenient location. Friendly staff. Clean and Comfortable Rooms! Excellent value. We've stayed at this location for many years and love it!
We stay here EVERY year when we pick our kids up from Camp Longhorn. The facility is very well maintained and the rooms are very clean! Management makes updates to the property regularly. The breakfast is perfect - lots of choices and is quick and easy. The staff is extremely friendly. There is also a nice pool area for relaxing. We will be back next year.
What a Great place to stay...the Staff was So polite and the front desk manager or Owner treated me so well..even offered to extend breakfast for me since I was a late check in...i will Always stay here when I'm visiting the marble falls area..way Better hotel with a more down to earth price..Thanks again...
This is a nice one story hotel that allows you to keep a close watch on your car. The rooms are a bit dated, but large and clean, The K-cup coffee maker was a real plus to me. The bed was comfortable with ample pillows. The bedside clock was unreadable and useless. I wish they would provide more than two of each towel, especially if you are washing your hair. Breakfast was very good and the attendant was friendly as well as the front desk staff. I do appreciate that they accept dogs and there is a dog friendly park right behind the hotel to exercise your pet after a long day in the car. I would certainly stay here again.
Service was outstanding. They constantly asked if we need anything. Do not miss the breakfast ! Linda will make sure that everything being served is fresh. The pool is very nice. Checkout was easy. Would stay there again.
This is a great place to get away from everything! It is in a good location to venture deeper into the Hill Country...Llano, Marble Falls, and Lampassas. It is quiet, clean, and near local restaurants and wineries. The manager is one of the nicest people you will meet; he will provide with many recommendations and suggestions for your stay.
I just had the most adorable stay in Burnet, TX at this hotel. The hotel grounds are lovely, from the landscaping, to the pool, to the indoor decor. And clean!!!! Beautiful, clean rooms with laminate hardwood floors and extra touches like a microwave, a good mini fridge and coffee maker. I was also super impressed with the breakfast. Fresh, hand cut fruit (there were even cherries), fresh eggs and all the traditional hot cold sides. The breakfast attendant was so pleasant and friendly, and you could really see the pride in a job well done. Overall we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel, and though we were in Burnet for a particular event, my family and I are already making plans to return just for the sheer enjoyment of this hotel and small town!
Our stay was quite enjoyable. We had a peaceful night of rest. the overall trip was very relaxing, it was just what we needed. We would stay at the Best Western in Burnet, Texas if we travel to that area again in the future
We have stayed at this hotel for the past 5 years for a night - the day before we pick our daughter up from camp. This is the only hotel close to camp and we were a little worried but or stays here have been top notch. They have a great pool and pool lounge area. Though we have had to leave each year before breakfast - I am sure it is delicious! The front desk and staff have ALWAYS incredibly nice and accommodating!
Great amenities, fantastic view, and all-around great experience. Waffles in the morning, and a beautiful pool surrounded by swallows that eat the insects, eliminating the issue of mosquito bites! Would recommend 100%.
My wife and I stayed here for a wedding we attended at Twisted Ranch about 15-20 minutes away. Motel was great. We had room with double beds, microwave, refrigerator, and TV. It was spotless. Very clean. Comfortable. Convenient location for our venue. Staff very nice. Would stay here again if needed. Highly recommend!!!!
This little hidden gem in the hill country was a pleasant surprise for our small crew of guys who were working in the area. The property was clean and welcoming. We will definitely be staying here again.
Great staff.... thank you for taking our family again. always enjoy the breakfast. you have done a great job by the pool area. rooms are very nice and clean ..... only thing was coke machine dispensed wrong item keep it up
The positive: all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. A couple of times they went out of their way to assist us, unasked. We were in the Oak Post for 5 successive nights while we were attending a family reunion down the road in Kingsland. That's a very scenic, 12-mile drive. Very easy on good highways with little traffic. When we went to book, we looked at Kingsland, Burnet and Marble Falls. We do price/feature compare, and we chose the Oak Post as the seeming best deal. The rates are reasonable. While the rooms served our purpose, there were several things that we did not like. The first is that the carpet in our room was old, dingy and dark. After a couple of minutes walking on it in my bare feet, a nasty black fluid came off my feet when I stepped into the already wet bathtub/shower. Yuck. The second is that the room itself was very dark. It's rectangular with just a small window alongside the door in the front. Kind of like being in a cave. The third is that the morning free breakfast was both very limited, and repeated almost exactly each day. One morning the "meat" was cut up hot dogs, most days sausage rounds. Not bad food, just not appetizing. But as the title says, choices are limited in Burnet. They appeared to be so also in Kingsland. I'd recommend Marble Falls - a much wider choice, bigger town.
It was all good....with one minor exception. The front desk guy at check-out was unfriendly and appeared surly. Everyone else was helpful, cheerful, and friendly. Breakfast had plenty of hot & cold items to choose from. Breakfast area was laid out just fine.
We have stayed at this BW numerous times. We always look forward to the breakfast. We have stays in BW's from coast to coast, and would rate the breakfast here as one of the best. It is always clean and the staff friendly and helpful.
10 of 10 across the board. Staff, facilities, food all amazing. What an amazing find in this little community. It was recommended by a couple who had stayed here in the past and now we know why. You need to take advantage of this wonderful, clean, friendly hotel!
A friend and I stayed at the Post Oak Inn for a few days during our A girl and a gun annual conference last week. It was a clean comfortable place to make our home base, situated about an hour from Austin airport. It was close to the ranch where our conference was held. Amenities included daily breakfast good Wi-Fi service comfortable beds and a pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed including recommendations on local restaurants. I would definitely stay here again if I return to the area.
Stayed here 3 nights while on holiday. Very quiet, clean & neat. The bed was very comfortable. Plenty of towels. Breakfast.....just some stale muffins. No juice. Nothing hot. But it's free. No complaints. There is a great porch swing by the pool. Nice place to relax. Cool breezes flowing thru. There was some renovation & painting going on but not bothersome. Would stay here again.
This is an older facility and room was a little bit small, but it was clean, comfortable and quiet. The property is very well maintained. Breakfast was excellent with a nice selection. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. All in all, a very good value.
My family and I stayed here on a one night stay passing through Burnet, TX. The room was small (we expected this) but was very clean and served our needs well. The pool area (and hotel in general) was very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was very clean and tidy and well attended to. I would suggest this to anyone passing through the Burnet area!
Stayed 2 nights in March and stayed here a few years ago. Just OK amenities...decor is out of date "Italianate" and heavily painted to be "updated". Dark colors, worn fixtures. Owner is nice enough but just a tired looking Best Western. Breakfast is fair but not great. Wish I had more positive comments to offer.
Great location and good rest. Would stay here again in the future. Breakfast was great with fresh fruit, waffles, sausage, eggs and muffins. Nice pool and view from back of hotel. Be sure to call ahead for availability.
The room is comfortable, a little updated. I've stayed in hotels much nicer than this one and I feel this is over rated but all in all, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and breakfast was excellent. I would stay here again if I need to stop in the area.
If you are in this part of the Texas Hill Country I recommend you stay here. Very nice staff! Offered a nice clean modern room at reasonable price. Looks to have been recently remolded and upgraded. Great free breakfast. A++
This is an older motel (outside rooms) that has been well maintained. Both the lobby and our room were very clean. The outside is attractively landscaped. The breakfast buffet offers a good selection. Staff were helpful when we asked question. I did think the price was a bit high, but we were pleased with our room and the service.
This was the first time we found a Best Western with no stairs which is unusual for a BW. We greatly enjoyed the large swimming pool surrounded by trees and flowers. the view was overwhelming on the Hill Country. We received a nice welcome and the price was reasonnable. Our favorite!
Alot of same staff from last year, room was fine, no real problems. Good breakfast selection from 6 or so to 900a......we had rooms 141 and 142 and the location weas fine right around the corner and short walk from front lobby.
The room was very clean! The staff were friendly. Convenient parking right in front of our room. Breakfast was excellent. Not to mention the pool was cleaned and had good decoration surrounded. We were very enjoyed staying at the hotel. We would likely to comeback here again.
Older hotel. Room arrangement was not ideal. The lavatory was open to the bedroom which meant when someone was using it the light was on for the bed. Friendly staff. The AC did not operate properly. Very good breakfast with nice selections(real eggs). A comfortable bed. OK but nothing special.
When I am in the Bertram / Burnet area, I always stay at the Best Western Post Oak Inn. It is an older motel, but it is not missing anything. They have the best beds and pillows; I fall asleep immediately. They have large flat screen televisions in their SMOKE-FREE rooms, along with hairdryer, desk, chair, additional chair, chest storage, drawer storage, refrigerator, microwave, iron, iron board, suitcase rack, plenty of towels and wash cloths, shampoo, soaps, lotion, coffeemaker, coffee and supplies, cups, ice machine, phone, cable, wifi, newer key cards, clock/alarm (radio), pen/pad, etc. The bedding has CLEAN layered thick sheets, mattress cover, blanket, and bedspread. I normally do not sleep well when traveling, but I wish I had their mattress at home. The room and bathroom were very clean. There is an outside pool and grill area for the guests, along with a computer / printer in the lobby for direction help. Now, I am saving the best for last. The breakfast is really, really good. It is more than the basics. They have orange juice, apple juice, milk, water, coffee, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, real eggs (omelets with ham too), sausage (the meat changes daily), biscuits, gravy, toast, muffins, hashbrowns, regular and blueberry waffles (you make), regular syrup, sugar-free syrup (and many others), and so much more. I really love their breakfast, and so did my son. A lady working the buffet-style breakfast offered to cook fresh eggs for someone who could not eat ham. How nice is that! The owner (perhaps manager) and employees are all awesome - so helpful. Skip the hotel in Bertram, and stay at the Best Western Post Oak Inn in Burnet. You will thank me later!!! And after writing this very long review, I am expecting to get a VERY GOOD rate next time, LOL!
We were in town for a family event and stayed here with 2 small kids. The room was clean, the beds and pillows were very comfortable, and we had no issues with our room. The pool area is quite nice. The pool temperature was refreshing (not too cool though, my wife was happy). There is grass around pool and even some sitting area and two fountain streams that my kids enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious, real eggs, biscuits and gravy, Texas waffles, and even had hash browns and sausage one morning. 2 minor things I noticed: - Birds roost in the two trees near the pool and you have to walk under them to breakfast in the morning. We decided to walk around the hotel so not to get droppings on us. - Lobby PC had lots of files saved in downloads and cookies were not cleared. I felt that people that used it at risk and cleaned it up and set Chrome to clear each time it closed. Wish there would have been a bit more attention to good PC kiosk practices. Enjoyed ourselves and would return!
While the room is not huge it is adequate and the service was outstanding. Room was very clean and they were happy to supply anything you needed. Breakfast was fine, typical fare--sausage or bacon, scrambled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, waffles. A/C worked fine, although it rained much of our stay. A little more attention to landscaping would make it really attractive.
This place far surpassed my expectations! The beds are comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, complete with fresh waffles in the BW waffle iron. The only employee I saw both upon night checkin and at breakfast was friendly and kind, and made recommendations of places to visit in the area. I'd definitely come back!
We were in Llano for business but the Best Western there was booked, so we had to stay up in Burnet. The room was nice, clean and cool (it was 100 degrees outside). About what you would expect with a travel lodge. Their breakfast buffet had a variety of items and they had real eggs for breakfast! When we checked in on Friday, the lady at the desk was really nice. The rest of the weekend, there was a guy and he gave us grunts/mumbles for greetings. The area is not really diverse, 95% white, 2% Hispanic, 3% other, and that could be the problem. I counted 7 black people the whole weekend and 2 were me and my husband. But don't let that deter you from visiting a beautiful area.
First, I could not tell from their website that it was a motel with exterior doors to the rooms and did not discover that until after dragging a few pieces of luggage to the lobby to check-in. That would have saved me some time and trouble. Typical old-style room but modern equipment like TV and it seemed clean until I went to bed. I was in a king-size bed and moved the pillows I wasn't going to use to the other side of the bed. Thankfully I had chosen the correct side because the mattress on the other side where one would have had their pillow and head was a dead bug. I immediately began to look inside the sheets wondering what else might be there. If I didn't have everything unpacked already and needed to get to sleep quickly, I would have requested another room. I'm a very quick sleeper but it took a long time to get to sleep due to the imagining (or was it?) of itching, not to mention an uncomfortable bed. For the most expensive hotel in Burnet, I would have expected better and the price should have been $20-30 cheaper.
Friendly and helpful service at front desk. The hotel was clean and so was the room and I would stay there again if I needed a place in that area. Everything was working properly and it's in a decent location as well.
We stayed here when we went to Inks Lake. Our room was very clean, fresh smelling, and quiet. It was well equipped. We did not have to call for anything. Our beds were clean and comfortable. Parking outside of our door was helpful. The staff was very friendly and professional. They gave great care and attention to make sure there were plenty of hot, fluffy scrambled eggs for breakfast. No cold, hard eggs here! There were plenty of choices to take care of each personal menu choosing so. Even though the exterior is not new construction, do let that discourage you. This is great value and a good decision to stay Best Western Post Oak in Burnet.
This was my first stay here as I was working in Burnet for a week. I enjoyed everything about it. The only minus was the rooms are a bit small but it's an older property yet well maintained and rooms were smaller when it was built. The decor in the room was a little dated but not worn out. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They let me check out the night before since I was hitting the road so early the next day. I loved the small pool area they had. It wasn't crowded and kept very clean. I would definitely recommend this place, as a matter of fact I'll be staying there again next week.
It was well over 100 degrees and we were concerned the a/c was not going to be on. We arrived and our room was cool at 65 degrees. Good thing in Texas heat. The pool was clean and enjoyable. The check in clerk was very friendly and she asked if we were going to any local attractions. She gave us a brochure to the area attraction on check-in. Very enjoyable hotel and very good service.
All was good. I will be back. But price was more than most Best Westerns in other places. It should have been around $89.00 per night. I think this hotel takes advantage of the Hyman Reunion time. They should offer a discount for the group instead of raising the price.
We have friends in Burnet, and always stay at the BW Post Oak Inn. The owner/staff is always helpful and friendly. The breakfast has a good selection of items to pick from. We had only one issue. The bed was too high! My wife is 5-2 and had a difficult time getting into the bed. I'm almost 6 feet tall and struggled a little myself. I'm sure the design is for ergonomic reasons so the cleaning staff doesn't have to bend over repeatedly. The bed was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.
You will definitely get more for your money at this Hotel. The staff went beyond what I expected. Normally, hotels in this price range are low on rates and low on just about everything else. I had a couple of issues come up, not caused by the hotel, but without hesitation, they went out of their way to accommodate me. I was very impressed.
We were traveling to a wedding in Burnet, Texas and had waited too long to get the wedding block at a competing hotel. I'm actually pretty glad it worked out this way because we were pleasantly surprised by our three night stay at the Best Western Post Oak Inn. I used to work for Best Western and was a little hesitant to stay at a Best Western that was not a Plus or a Premier property, but couldn't have been more wrong! This is an older property, which you can tell from the outside, but once you're inside the room it is really hard to tell that this isn't a newer property. The room was comfortable with all the amenities you'd expect. Additionally, the room was clean and well kept each day that we were there - so I can't fault the service either. While we didn't eat the hotel breakfast each day because of wedding duties, I did notice that they offered a rotating selection each day - which was nice for a small hotel. The breakfast bar attendant came over and was telling us about how she tries to bring in different things to see what people like the most. I really like that! The management was willing to give her the freedom to see what the guests like, rather than just costing out the least expensive options to feed guests each morning. Overall, I have no complaints. Very nice experience.
Older hotel, but has had updates. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly desk clerk and is knowledgeable about local eateries and attractions. Easy to get to location. Clean and clear pool. Close to shopping and just down the street Bills Burgers and The Highlander. Rates are a bit high to me, but decent hotels are rare in this area.
We arrived on a Sunday and left on a Wednesday. Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was clean and looked nice and smelled clean. The breakfast was very nice every morning and the lobby is well kept and clean. The place is pretty quiet at night. The front desk person who was there every morning we were was so very friendly and always kept the breakfast food restocked! The coffee was good also. Not your run of the mill breakfast, there was always eggs and sausage, cereal, waffles and even fruit. There is also a nice swing that overlooks the pool where we would sit in the morning with our coffee listening to the birds. We enjoyed our stay there while we traveled around enjoying the hill country. Over all, it might not look like much from the road but it is very nice inside!
That room was clean and smelled clean. Guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Very courteous and kind. Had a real smile not a fake one. The breakfast was real food and good to eat. Pool and grounds well kept. No trash anywhere. Good water pressure. Wi-Fi good for streaming videos. Bring your tablets.
It's not a Marriott, but you're not paying for it. The rooms were modern, clean, quiet and well appointed for a good price. What else is there? The breakfast was hot and the front desk gentleman was helpful and very polite.
The price was that of a hotel but it was really more like a motel. The hotel was clean and quite. But the cost was the highest I've ever paid at a BW. I did not go to the pool so I'm not sure the quality of the pool. Pillows at a BW could always be better than they are.
I was a little concerned when I saw this motel from the road but the check in was fast and the staff very friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions and wild flower drive recommendations. The room was a good size and it was clean. WIFI was fast and free. Motel is the park by your room style which my wife likes. We would stay here again
The hotel was a very very clean . It is older but very very nice . It has worn well Managers were nice friendly and helpful. Motel cant be beat .for price . They had a hot breakfast and a porch swing by pool.
If you want to get away from Austin and enjoy nature, this area is very attractive. The motel is more than adequate although the breakfast was somewhat skimpy. The Wi-Fi worked and there were adequate outlets for all our electronics (phone, ipods etc). The rooms do not face the main road and are relatively quiet.
We take an annual motorcycle ride in April and usually spend one or two nights in Burnet. The Best Western Post Oak Inn never disappoints. Mr. Patel is always helpful and very friendly. Breakfast is just what we look for with several options. Easy to access location, with a Shell station next door to top off the bike.
We booked this hotel so we would be close to the Bluebonnet festival events. It was clean, quiet and had a good breakfast. We walked into town in the afternoon, it was about a 30 min. walk, but not all on sidewalks, though there were paths to follow. Definitly not an after dark walk. The pool was very clean, and the gardens very well done. This was a good location for special events, however, at night I strongly suggest driving to town.
Beautiful area and the Bluebonnets were blooming!! Enjoyed our stay in our clean, comfortable room! The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great! We really appreciated the front desk gal (possibly the manager), who went out of her way to give us sightseeing tips and printed out maps, etc. We could tell she loves her job and her community!
We enjoyed our stay here, were surprised that Burnett had such a nice facility. The breakfast was delicious, especially the eggs which were NOT powdered! The bed was very comfortable, but would have reserved 2 queens had I know it was so bouncy (my hubby has night twitches) Very quiet and TV was adequate for our needs. No DVD or blue ray player though.
the room was very clean but the room smelled of cigarettes, as if it was a smoking room. we did leave the door open when we 1st got it. it was hard to beath during the night. however I do give the hotel a."very good " because the room was clean and the front desk manager was very nice and helpful.
We were very pleased with this hotel - very comfortable - clean - we looked at several hotels before booking and this one seemed to be the nicest one - at the best location for our trip - at the best rate - we made a good choice!
I always stay at Best Western Post Oak when in the Burnet Texas area. It is one of the best managed motels I've ever stayed at. Rooms are always very clean, the staff very friendly and very helpful. The breakfast they serve is great with many choices. Great place to stay!!
We were very satisfied with the Best Western Post Oak Inn. The lady at check in was very kind and suggested eating and entertainment options. The room was clean and very satisfactory. Our only problem was the heat/air unit did not seem to be working but due to the great weather, we did not discover this until late on our last night and we did not want to disturb someone at that hour. I am certain they would have fixed it immediately - it was our call.
This hotel was a great surprise. The staff was great and breakfast was plentiful. The room was clean as well as the lobby. I would stay here for a longer time. The hotel was very quiet and i loved that we backed in our car and unloaded into our room SO easy..
Very nice. Employees were great and very accommodating. Very quiet and rooms were nice. Great breakfast with real eggs and sausage....not soy products. Beds were comfortable and the size of room was great. Good insulation in rooms (no TV noise from next door).
I came off the road a year ago where I stayed in hotels 5-6 days a week. My experiences varied throughout those 10 years. My wife and I wanted to get away and see some of Texas' Hill Country and do some hiking. We chose this Best Western as our base. We were pleasantly surprised upon our check-in with Linda, the GM. She was curious as to why we came to the area and offered some great hiking trips in the area. Just went out of her way to make sure that we would have a great time! The room we chose on line was wonderful! Extremely clean, adequate towels, everything sparkled. This particular BW was a small hotel with less than 50 rooms, but I have been to larger ones that hadn't paid this much attention to details. Even a clear picture on the TV! The internet was fast even though we were at the end of the property. Great, comfortable King bed. We took advantage of the hot breakfast each morning. The "other" Linda, the one in charge of the dining area, had a variety of food out; yogurt, fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy (my wife's very favorite breakfast), cereals and juice. Good coffee too! Had a chance to connect with Rick, the owner. He greeted us our first morning with a big, genuine smile and thanked us for staying wth them. He wanted to make sure we were taken care of and of course, we were! Many thanks to the staff here, including the housekeeping folks! This hotel knows what customer service and hospitality is. Plan on staying here when coming to the area!
Room was clean and staff was friendly. The breakfast was fresh from the eggs to the waffles. The grounds were clean and well kept. The location was just right. We were welcomed every time we walked into the lobby
Breakfast was outstanding and staff were very helpful. The eggs tasted like "real" eggs and not those imitation ones we have had at other motels. We had left a set of keys in the room and were contacted by the front desk person in less than an hour to tell us. We appreciated their quick response.
I come here at least once to twice a year and am always amazed at the clean and freshness of the rooms. Usually I am greeted by Linda but this time I got the chance to be greeted by Mr. Patel who is so genuinely kind and caring. He made me feel at ease staying at a hotel by my self as a single woman. I plan to be back latter this year and look forward to being welcomed back and a chance seeing the Patels again
Room was nicely updated, but way too tiny for a king size bed. As with most all hotels, the online pictures of the rooms look nothing like the real thing. Mattress was springy and uncomfortable. Wish there had been a La Quinta Inns & Suites in town.
We recently traveled to Burnet on a business trip and stayed at this hotel. This property was clean and well maintained. The front desk was most helpful. We enjoyed the ample breakfast .The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Good value for the money. We would highly recommend this hotel.
The room was nice. Appeared to be recently updated decor. It had a shower only, no tub which was fine with us. The mattress was comfortable. The included breakfast had hot and cold choices and was more than adequate.
Always use this hotel when hunting. Clean rooms, friendly staff, easy check in, good breakfast, good selection on TV, beds comfortable. Nothing more to say. Extra typing to satisfy the 200 character minimum.
The hotel was nice and very friendly and helpful staff. They went out of their way to assist us in finding our meeting/conference and exact locations on how to get there. I would definitely stay here again.
Large, updated room and bath with Best Western's comfortable mattresses, sheets, and new pillows (just like at another Best Western I recently stayed at twice). Large lobby and attractive Texas/Western decor. Free breakfast had more choices than any other hotel of this price range I've stayed at in the last year or two. Desk clerk friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to accommodate my needs for a breakfast to take to my partner who was ill and the regular breakfast time was about over; clerk gave me fresh muffins to bring back to the room that were no longer available as I was about the last breakfast eater to go to the breakfast area. Coffee was plentiful and hot, lots of choices from cereals and instant oatmeal in several flavors to make-your-self waffles; sausage, bacon, and scrambled eggs; breads and toaster, plenty of teas, jams, butter, and cream cheese; sweet rolls and doughnut holes, apples and bananas, milks, juice, coffee, etc. It was the largest eating area and counter space allocated to breakfast foods served on interesting plates or display containers/racks. Hotel was quiet and the in-room a/c could be adjusted to comfortable cool and heat levels and was quiet. Bathroom and adjacent sink/clothes rack area nice size and newly renovated. I'd be happy if all hotels in this price range were this comfortable and attractive!
The Best Western in Burnet, was comfortable and clean. Staff friendly. Only complaint was cleanliness next to the motel. Empty lot was full of trash and it was right next to parking area..made motel look trashy.
the internet in my room did not work after a discussion with the manager and the desk clerk that got me nowhere I received a survey via e mail after completing this i received an e mail stating I was no longer welcome at this property.
Although hotel was an older building the rooms and especially lobby has been nicely updated. The breakfast is the best we have had at this hotel price range. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Good value for the money.
We're generally used to having horrible experiences when we go out of town but this place was lovely. Rooms were clean, front desk person was extremely nice and accommodating, breakfast was great, and only 10 min away from the Revillie Park where we needed to be... I'd definitely stay here again when we come back next year!
This hotel was clean and comfortable. Newish carpet and fresh paint plus a remodeled bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The bed had a new mattress that was comfy. The room had a decent sized refrigerator and microwave. 2 free water bottles were included daily. The drink vending machines had sodas for a dollar. The free breakfast had hot and cold items in a nice breakfast area. The front desk staff was warm and friendly. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in Burnet .
Our dance group stays at this hotel every year when we are having a weekend festival in Burnet. This hotel is the choice of the group and we are totally satisfied with the hotel and the staff. They treat us like royalty and we love it.
A very clean, quiet place to get a good nights sleep. Great breakfast in the morning. Excellent quality and value in keeping with the Best Western chain. I always check to see if there is a Best Western in the cities I visit, I know I will not be disappointed.
I booked this hotel on a couple of recommendations. I was not disappointed. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were spotless, the beds and pillows comfortable, the breakfast was typical of hotel breakfasts. The pool area was lovely. I wish we would have had time to enjoy it. It was quiet and in a convenient location.
Arrived late to the hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk personnel were inviting. The room was very clean and did have a flat screen television. The cable signal was not that great, as it was a little fuzzy. The shower worked well and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. The value for this room was a great deal and would stay again if we are in the area.
We stayed at this motel because they accept pets, although we didn't bring them in the end. We were out all day, it was 90+ degrees, and we were exhausted. I was with my daughter and her 2 yr old son, and you know what a 2 yr old is like when they are tired! The beds were wonderful; the staff was helpful and wonderful; it was quiet; and the shower was clean and excellent.
