Excellent service from Paul all very pleasant.

Very friendly and attentive staff and beautiful setting by the river. Comfy bed, powerful shower and nice to have the doors opening onto the veranda. Meals were straightforward but tasty snd well presented. Great to be able to sit outside on the restaurants veranda overlooking the river. We would be very happy to visit again.

Brilliant setting on the side of the Thames. Convenient short drive to the Elizabeth Line and the M4. Do check on arrival that your room is not too stuffy.

We decided to go for some afternoon tea and thought of going to an iconic place right by the river. We were shown a table right by the windows by Paul. Paul was absolutely wonderful. He explained the menu to us. The cakes were served promptly, with the tea paced well. The restaurant has a beautiful setting and a wonderful ambience, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and overall atmosphere. Paul's excellent service really added to the experience. We will definitely be returning!

We enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea in a beautiful setting. A special mention must go to Paul, whose warm and attentive service made the experience particularly enjoyable. The tea and refreshments were served efficiently and at a comfortable pace. The restaurant has a wonderful ambience, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, drinks and overall experience and would certainly return. Excellent service from Paul and a lovely atmosphere — highly recommended.

Only stayed one night. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Especially the two ladies at reception and the bar. And AK who took our food order. Really nice location by the river. Looks like it's recently been refurbished. Everything very clean. Would stay again.

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff, especially AK , Emilia and Mia, and another young lady whose name I didn't catch. Nothing was ever too much ! A wonderful beer garden with a lovely view over the Thames.

This is our 3rd stay with this hotel..ok this time our room was at the very top of the hotel building ,)I've said this before there is no lift here but we are able bodied..another good stay,spotless,very very mean with milk,coffee etc..but we take our own bear that in mind,saying that you only have to ask for more ,smashing staff and again Paul ,waiter,barman,reception.,,nothing is to much trouble for him…Breakfa st not so good this time ALL lukewarm,not much selection,but hey hoo part of the deal,toast is fine…I've said this before perfect stay if flying from Heathrow half hour drive…but again must say evening meal 5 star perfect lasagna….We will be back…Always worth a visit.

Stayed a night at the Thames Riviera to attend the Rewind Festival. Arrived early but Paul (manager) very helpful ensuring rooms were available for ourselves and our friends. All the staff we met were friendly. The hotel was in an ideal location. Comfortable room in the annex - effective though noisy aircon. Great breakfast enjoyed al fresco by the river. Would stay again thanks!

A very comfortable stay. Enjoyed dinner by the river on our arrival and breakfast the very next day. The room is well equip with air con, safe, hairdryer, iron and board, TV and a very comfy bed with a beautiful river view. Paul the manager ensured all our needs were met and the bar served the best Aperol Spritz. Thank you 🙏

A wonderful location on the 7 arch Maidenhead bridge. Lovely air conditioned room overlooking the Thames. We drank Prosecco on the terrace watching the birds and the rowing club activities. So difficult to stir, so we ate dinner there And Breakfast in the morning. Paul the man in charge looked after our every need. A memorable mini break

Very happy with our stay- the building is a little dated but the whole hotel was clean, the restaurant/breakfast was excellent and the staff were excellent- very accommodating and were great to my daughter.

We had a fantastic two-week stay at the Thames Riviera Hotel and genuinely couldn't fault it. From the moment we arrived, all of the staff were friendly, welcoming and incredibly helpful. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and they really went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. A special thank you to AK, Emilia, Sheryn and Paul, who were all absolutely amazing and made us feel so welcome throughout our stay. Their kindness and helpfulness really stood out and made a long stay feel like a home away from home. The hotel itself was lovely, in a beautiful location overlooking the Thames, and after two weeks we honestly left with no complaints at all just very happy memories. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend the Thames Riviera to anyone visiting the area. Thank you to the whole team for looking after us so well!

Amazing spot on the river !! Here for work, just managed to get large van in car park.....took 2 spaces, sorry !! Staff very welcoming and friendly, Paul & Shrema couldn't do enough for us and their service 5☆ !! Rooms perfect, air conditioning a life saver and very efficient.....best night's sleep for weeks !! Food spot on and ate outside overlooking the river watching the boats....fantastic !! 🌞

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely stay in an executive room at this hotel recently with bottle of prosecco on arrival. The staff were lovely and Paul at breakfast was particularly attentive. Our room was large and comfortable overllooking the thames. Thankyou, we will be back.

Stayed for 2 nights / 3 days on a course. Great venue, very attentive staff, good food. The business room opening straight onto a balcony on the river was a perfect facility for our 3 day course.

What a superstar Paul is! I attended a course at the hotel and Paul was an absolute legend looking after us. I have a gluten intolerance and it was so kindly catered for. The food was delicious and the service exceptional. Thank you Paul❤️

The staff in this hotel are really lovely and can't do enough for you. It was a quick stop off between excursions and I mentioned my husband was 60 and it was part of the celebrations they gave us a complimentary bottle of wine which was really kind of them. We were in the new part of the hotel the room was clean and served its purpose but the toilet seat was brown which was time full of urine stains which wasn't particularly appealing and let it down. The stairs on the way up were also torn in places which looked shabby. The breakfast was really nice offering lots of different things to choose from. A good place to stay.

We've just spent a lovely couple of nights, with our son and daughter in law in the next room, at The Thames Riviera Hotel, Maidenhead. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, creating a very pleasant atmosphere around the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, and tastefully furnished, with the air conditioning a welcome relief in the very hot weather! And the river view from our balcony was a delight. It was so lovely to wake up each morning to watch all the ducks, geese, and swans, and the early morning rowing teams training in their boats, along the river. The meals were very tasty too. We had an evening meal on the first day (we didn't manage one on the second evening as we'd had an afternoon tea river cruise so were too full!) also a breakfast on both mornings. Plenty of choice and all delicious. And what a delight to have our last breakfast in the sun on the terrace beside the river! It was a really enjoyable stay (Tuesday to Thursday) and would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of visiting this area. We would love to go back again. Thank you to all the staff.

The hotel itself is lovely, the views are stunning, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The food is well prepared and tasty and couldn't fault anything. All together an extremely pleasant few days stay and will definitely return.

The best part of this hotel are the staff. AK, Emilia, the lovely chap in the breakfast room, the receptionist and the cleaning staff. The place was very clean but the hotel was in need of a total refurbishment. I shouldn't think the outside has been touched for 30 years. The setting right on the river could be so fabulous, such a shame the owners can't throw some money at it. Our room 106 was okay but the curtains had to be drawn for privacy as the big bay window was open to public viewing. I don't like nets but something should be put up. Our shower room was large but the washbasin was very small. Breakfast was lacking and very basic. A choice of only two cereals, no marmalade but they did do a poached or fried egg if you ask. It wasn't made obvious but I didn't fancy scrambled egg which had been sitting awhile. The bar isn't well stocked with a minimal choice of spirits. Lager was on tap though. Lot's of outdoor places to look at the boats going past and to watch the waterfowl. Good location with parking and a cruise boat into Windsor just a short walk away.

Fabulous table right on the river. Our server was Paul, who did a splendid job and was very attentive to all our needs. The place was surprisingly empty, I think mainly due to the exterior. This is not reflected in the restaurant,. The food was great and served quickly. We will be back.

Location is great outside of Maidenhead town but close enough for short stroll. Very quiet in evenings, we stayed over 3 rooms as part of wedding party. Hotel staff were extremely friendly & helpful with nothing too much trouble! Lovely outdoor seating for breakfast. Rooms have a/c which was great for warmer weather. Excellent hotel & service packs a punch!! Watched England game too in bar area!

I spent a week using the Thames Riviera as a base and throughly enjoyed my stay. The staff are very helpful and friendly and I liked my room, which was away from the road and had a small balcony overlooking the river. The atmosphere was pleasant and relaxed. I had drinks and ate in the restaurant a number of times with various friends and we all enjoyed our meals. The location is great and I particularly liked the little deck right by the water. The prices are very reasonable. Thank you!

The perfect location for our 30th anniversary with the river just outside our balcony. The atmosphere was hard to gauge as we only saw people at breakfast and dinner. We had asked for a king bed and I had asked that if the had rooms with opening doors over the river I would like one of those. The bed was a double but we had the doors and the views. We believe it was value for money. It was clean and tidy but leaving day we felt the cleaners wanted us gone, well before we even had breakfast. If you want brilliant service then Paul in the restaurant will give you a friendly warm attentive service. Thank you Paul

Great 1-night stay at this hotel overlooking the Thames with a great breakfast! Hasbrowns and fresh croissants were especially excellent along with plenty of thick bacon and sausages! Staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive! Will be coming back anytime we visit maidenhead!

It's my third time staying here and the staff are very friendly and obliging. Paul offered to carry my 25kg case up two flights of stairs when I arrived. I ate in the restaurant and the food was fresh and delicious. The location is great and the views across the river are wonderful.

Lovely stay, staff were all fabulous very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy, we added on the breakfast to our stay and so glad we did it was brilliant value for money and there was a great selection, the gentleman managing the dining area was polite, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Location setting was beautiful we sat out and had drinks on the terrace overlooking the river. As a group of 9 everyone loved their rooms and enjoyed the bar downstairs in the evening. Overall absolutely fabulous!!

We stayed here when we went to Ascot. Lovely room, lovely breakfast, beautiful location, amazing staff, especially Paul who looked after us. We will be back next year ! X

We held a three day team meeting at the Thames Riviera Hotel and it was brilliant. The meeting room looks out over the river with a break out balcony over the river. The catering was excellent with a fantastic buffet of hot and cold food. Paul our host looked after our every need and made sure everything ran smoothly. The rooms were nice and clean and some had balconies. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely be back.

This was our second visit to the Thames Riviera through the Travelzoo deal. It is a very friendly hotel especially Paul, the Assistant Manager, who was also our server for our evening meal. The food is of really good quality and presented well. It is all very clean and tidy but the room was a little tired decor wise and we did feel the wrinkled carpet needs to be looked at regarding safety concerns. Having said that we will happily return again next year, hopefully in an executive room as last year. It is in a good location with a lovely walk along the river to Boulter's Lock and onto Ray Mill Island where there is a little cafe, a nice place to wander.

We enjoyed a lovely overnight stay at the Thames Riviera Hotel. Couldn't fault anything - our executive room was newly refurbished, v large, and had a great view to the river. Lots of staff who were attentive and thoughtful. They even helped us with our luggage to the top floor as we are not as youthful as we once were! We had a fab drink by the river before an evening out, thanks to Mo our barman, and a great breakfast the next day, again with the river view. Good value for money too. We will return!

From the second we arrived at check in we were greeted and made feel as if we were the only guest, Shreya was very attentive. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable with great air conditioning, We booked two rooms and both of them were at the same level of comfort. We booked half board, and first night again Shreya was amazing with total professional service, and made sure we were special. The food was amazing too everyday and breakfast was just as delicious I wish I had the opportunity to thank the chef. Location was amazing directly on the river Thames. We will certainly be using this hotel again Thank you so much to all staff for making our stay special

First time visiting. Wouldn't return or recommend. Staff are rude. No customer service skills. One particular member of staff was a little creepy. Hotel is dated and not very clean.

Lovely. The location right on the river is very special, and catches you off guard. Everyone was attentive and went an extra mile. Sunil, the Day Duty Manager, was friendly and professional and looks after the hotel with a lot of care. During my time there it was very sunny and when I was sat on the deck I had the same feeling I might have on a holiday much further afield. Only this time, I was in Maidenhead!

This review is for lunch only. We live walking distance of this hotel. I asked a friend along for the special priced lunch Mon-Fri for £25 for two including a drink each. We had a lovely time and the food was good. Lovely friendly staff. I took a star off as when we arrived, there was no staff on reception or at the bar or in the restaurant. But as soon as someone saw us sit outside they came immediately to see us. Came with my husband a couple of weeks ago for dinner and it was lovely. I hope that the hotel advertise and get more locals in.

Perfect for what we needed - very spacious room with partial Thames view, and an easy walk into town. Building a bit higgledy-piggledy, up stairs and various doorways, but nice to stay somewhere with a bit of personality. Great Aircon during the heatwave too. No trouble parking, albeit £10/night charge a little steep. Didn't explore the bar or breakfast area... Toast smelt good though! Bar was below our room, and music was quite loud on Saturday evening, but we weren't too bothered by it. Others may prefer to be further from the noise - the annex across the car park might be worth requesting. All in all, served its purpose and for the price paid offered a very decent stay.

We travelled as a couple on a travel zoo deal. The front of the hotel could do with a freshen up, however, the bar, restaurant and rooms inside were of a good standard. We stayed in the annex and upon our arrival there was a bottle of sparkling white wine in an ice bucket. The room was modern with a balcony with a side view of the River Thames. It was a pleasure to sit out on the terrace with views over the river. What really stands out in this hotel are the staff. They are all friendly and efficient. We enjoyed our evening meal there, which was reasonably priced. The breakfast was excellent, everything you would need, a full English breakfast, cerial and fruit etc. we will certainly return to this hotel

I went with my family we had a feu drinks and then a meal the lovely sever was called Paul he was funny and interactive with us and also showed us his cool Snap classes and was really nice

Had a great evening with colleagues enjoying the weather with a lovely dinner at hotel Thames. Hotel is very clean & the service is second to none. Paul was serving us. He is very helpful & professional. I don't usually eat fish if I eat out but I go with his recommendation & I really enjoyed that Seabass throw he recommended.

Fabulous staff. All of them were so helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us.

Only stayed bed and breakfast but did use the bar. The hotel is split between an older building with no lift and a more modern annexe. There is a large private car park. The hotel is reasonably priced and is located next to the Thames with an outside decking area overlooking the Thames. There is easy access to nearby towns such as Windsor and some well known restaurants. Whilst the lack of a lift is a downside the accommodation is clean and there is a good selection for breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful and in that respect I would single out Leslie a credit to the hotel. My second visit and I would definitely use the hotel again.

We originally booked the The Thames Riviera Hotel for two nights, but from the moment we arrived we knew we wanted to stay longer. The hotel has such a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere that extending our stay for an extra night was an easy decision. Every member of staff we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout our visit. A special mention must go to Paul, who was exceptionally accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. His kindness and professionalism really stood out and added a personal touch to the whole experience. One thing we particularly appreciated was how accommodating the hotel was with dietary requirements. Preparing a gluten-free breakfast was absolutely no trouble for the team, and it was reassuring to feel so well looked after. Breakfast each morning was fresh, enjoyable, and served with excellent hospitality. Our room was beautifully presented, spacious, and impeccably clean. It was clear that a lot of care goes into maintaining the rooms to a very high standard. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the overall décor created a calm and luxurious feel. I would also especially like to mention the shower, which was powerful, modern, and one of the best hotel showers we have experienced. The highlight of the stay, however, was undoubtedly the stunning views over the River Thames. Waking up to such peaceful riverside scenery and watching the boats pass by created a truly memorable experience. The setting is absolutely beautiful and makes this hotel the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would not hesitate to return or recommend the hotel to others looking for a comfortable stay in a beautiful riverside location.

Nice hotel although a little dated. Friendly staff. Some improvements to rooms such as a shelf in the bathroom, hooks to hang things and a suitcase stand would be good. Dining room quite basic and food mediocre. Bar seems lacking in stock.

Hotel suited us well as walking Thames path. We stayed 4 days with friends, eating breakfast and one eve meal. Despite its great location overlooking the river it was looking a little shabby in places and much could be done to attract more custom which appeared pretty thin during our stay. Our room was comfortable with a view of Thames. Overall we enjoyed our visit.

We had 6 rooms for the family on 18th April for a birthday celebration. Shreya Roy was very helpful when booking and showed us some rooms. We all had an amazing time and Shreya and Paul made us all feel at home instantly. It was a relaxing and fun time in a lovely setting. The breakfast was extremely good and plentiful. We stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting our daughter in High Wycombe which is a short drive away. It was a good choice for lots of reasons. The staff were very nice and friendly, the hotel was clean and tastefully decorated. The room had a small balcony. We were able to enjoy a lovely full English breakfast in the sun looking out on the water and also an evening drink on the deck watching the wildlife and rowers on the river. We slept well as it was not noisy outside and we went for walks down to river islands in both directions. There is a retail park with Nike outlet nearby. We also got a train on the Elizabeth line into Central London.

We were treated really well from check in to check out. Our room had a balcony with a great view of the river. The bed was super comfortable. Great size of room. Paul welcomed us warmly at breakfast where we very much enjoyed our food. The hotel's location is excellent with lovely walks both directions along the Thames. Would definitely recommend. The hotel is in a lovely position by the side of the Thames. Nice easy walk into Maidenhead. Executive room was very spacious, but in need of a bit of TLC, and being on the second floor the staircases were a bit of a challenge, obviously no lift due to a very old property. We had breakfast and evening meal during our 3 night stay which was very good. The staff are the number one thing that make this hotel one that we will definitely return to. Everyone of them made sure that we enjoyed our stay. Paul looked after us every evening in the restaurant and made sure our wedding anniversary celebration during our stay was one to remember. Thank you to everyone at the Thames Riviera, looking forward to seeing you all again soon

It's was a lovely base for this stage of our Thames Path walk. Perfectly located and well run. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we all enjoyed the full English breakfasts.

Great location overlooking The Thames. Friendly efficient staff, in particular Shreya. Well equipped, clean comfortable room and we were given a ground floor room as requested . Lovely restaurant and bar area . Excellent value booked via Travelzoo. Would stay here again.

The rooms are good but what stands out is the view of the river and the service, Sherya specifically was so helpful, she really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable.

We visited for partners birthday with group of friends. The night we visited was the curry night. Brilliant food, great amount. Staff where very attentive especially paul. Definitely be back. Five 🌟

Broken Reception Door. Couldnt find my way in! Building is Shabby. Reception staff unfriendly. Room not clean, stain on floor. No hot water, bath wouldnt empty of the cold water, toilet wouldnt stop running. Broken catch on the window, wind blew in all night. Mattress was so soft it was like sleeping on a sponge. Apart from a nice breakfast thats it. I was cold, and I couldnt work the TV. There is no one to talk to. I am well travelled and that was shocking.

Walking the Thames Path so location is excellent, we booked Kingsize Exec rooms as we were staying four nights, the rooms were large enough but lacked Exec items that you would expect like a fridge and enough drawer space so that you can unpack and not live out the suitcases, room decor is tired and air con didn't work but you need a degree in computers to understand the instructions, that's the bad bit, staff were amazing and very helpful especially James the Manager who sorted out our constructive criticism and offered us free parking, food is very good especially breakfast, we had dinner on one night and were looked after by Shreya who was very attentive.

We met with our art group for our end of term lunch. Our waiter Akshay was extremely helpful accommodating all different requests from 10 people. Food was also pleasant. Soup was delicious

A wonderful day at this hotel to celebrate Mother's Day. When we arrived Paul looked after us and was great with the kids. The afternoon tea was absolutely delicious very filling and the scones were so warm and fresh, thank you to the chef. Sunil and sherya were also so pleasant and looked after us. We will definitely be back again and loved the private room riverside suite perfect for family gatherings.

Very happy with the hotel and with the restaurant in particular. The lasagne was excellent and the buffet breakfast everything you could hope for. The location is perfect for my purposes, about halfway between Maidenhead station and Taplow Court Buddhist Centre. I will be back.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It was a Travelzoo deal with late check out breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco. The staff were friendly and helpful. We asked to move rooms as we really wanted a bath not just a shower as my partner is a bad back. It was no trouble at all. The staff were happy to sort it out for us with the minimum of fuss and carried our bags and the bottle of Prosecco in the wine cooler and glasses to our new room. Sadly I didn't get the name of the lovely chap who did this for us. Mo was polite and helpful at breakfast and helped with an easy check out. Would definitely recommend to friends and family wanting a clean and comfortable stay in Maidenhead.

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Thames Riviera Hotel, and we wanted to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful team there. From the moment we arrived, the staff were so warm and welcoming — but a very special thank you must go to Paul and Shreya. I was quite unwell during our stay, and both of them went truly above and beyond to accommodate us and make me feel comfortable and cared for at all times. Their kindness meant the world to me. Parking easy and secure. Room very clean and comfortable. Excellent bar and riverside restaurant. Staff were amazingly helpful especially Shreya, Paul and Mo who went above and beyond. Definitely hope to come back.

Small but comfortable room. 1 night stay with 2 course dinner included. The food was very good and freshly cooked to order. Location is obviously a plus - right on the River Thames with outside seating area, small car park which you pay a small fee for. Staff very helpful and obliging. Having once lived in this area (Windsor) for 40 years it is so convenient for sightseeing and train links to London.

I went to Thames Riviera Hotel for a light lunch with my sister. We had a lovely time. The staff were welcoming and very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed. We will definitely be back.

My wife has a garlic allergy, so it can be problematic when we visit restaurants and hotels. Akshay made it so easy for her, he went and spoke to chef Glenn and explained the situation. They decided that she could order whatever she wanted from the menu and they would adapt it for her sauces as well. Absolutely exceptional service, and I have one very happy wife.

My daughter and I stayed just the one night but we had a lovely stay. The staff all made sure we had everything we needed and Mo especially put in 100% all the time from front of house to restaurant service. I stayed in the bar area using the free wifi after check out time and was made to feel quite welcome. The room was lovely too (once we worked out the air con/heating but that was just us as instructions were provided).

This was our second trip to the Thames Rivera and we weren't disappointed. It's in a lovely position, right on the bank of the Thames, and many of the rooms have views of the river. We were lucky enough to get one in the separate block with a fine view over to the rowing club. Everything you need is in your room, including air conditioning which is a great bonus. The bed was comfortable, and the WiFi very good. The breakfast was filling and with a lot of choices. Very important to us, the coffee was excellent! What makes the Thames Rivera rise above other hotels, is the staff. The duty manager,Paul Hepton, was that perfect balance of friendly, helpful but not constantly there. We felt that anything we needed would be available if we asked. There's an atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and what more do you need? It's a short walk to town with a massive choice of food. The hotel has a really nice menu, and currently offers a discount for residents. If you want a hotel for a break l, this is the place for you. Look beyond the paint that needs a touch up, and see that what really makes a memory, is how you are treated whilst you're there. Give it a go, we will be back, and what better recommendation can I give?

Exceptional staff. Akshay and Mohib provided the best service when I stopped in to do some work and dine. They also helped with arrangements due to a car issue. Remarkably attentive service and utterly professional. The food was also very good, and they make lovely rich hot chocolate.

Went to the Thames with my partner for the Curry night held on the 6th Feb and had such a lovely evening. The atmosphere of the hotel was lively and the staff were well accommodating and hospitable. Curries were great and even better value for money - £20 got starters, sides and main. Followed by a few drinks in the bar with some friends that joined later. Setting was relaxed and perfect for a late evening catch up with friends on the sofas. Will definitely be back!.

Mo was really helpful, friendly and accommodating! He asked the kitchen to open up a bit early for me and another guest as we were under time constraints and gave a great service at dinner. All the other staff members were also lovely and the hotel was great.

The location was breathtaking, a stones throw from the river. Paul, greeted us with warmth, friendliness and his charm and interacted with us throughout our stay and breakfast. One or two maintenance issues in room- bathroom window didn't fully close. So a bit draughty, room phone didn't work. However the bed was comfy, food was good and the staff, Shreya and Mo were lovely, nothing too much trouble for them.

Six friends went to share a special birthday in Maidenhead. We stayed at the Thames Riviera hotel. We could not have been made more welcome especially from the person in charge called Paul. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was very good, next to the river. The rooms were spacious and excellent value. Breakfast was good and included. We would recommend it to anyone wishing for a short break.

We had a lovely weekend at this hotel. We were in a standard room in the waterside lodge part of the hotel with great views of the river from the window and balcony. Although parts of the hotel look a bit tired, the room was very clean. Comfy bed. Good shower. The food was good and the manager Paul was very helpful and looked after us very well. Really good breakfast buffet style but freshly replenished cooked food. We went on a Travelzoo deal (the hotel does its own deals too). And we paid £5 for a pint of ale and £4.95 for a large glass of wine which was amazing value. We would definitely recommend this hotel. There are some lovely places to visit nearby and nice walks along the river.

Very comfortable stay. The hotel was built in 1888 and so some wear and tear is to be expected. However, The public areas and rooms are tastefully decorated. We had an exec room 207 which was bright and spacious, warm on a cold winter night, and had beautiful views of the river. Paul and all the other staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We did not have dinner, but the menu prices are very reasonable. The buffet breakfast was very good, and served in a lovely dining room with Thames views. Great location for riverside walks and very close to trains into London. We can recommend this hotel for a short stay.

We came for two nights and we were very impressed with the customer service of all the staff who were very welcoming, helpful, personable and special shout out to Paul in the restaurant who is a perfect “host”, and Shreya on reception who is so welcoming and helpful, as are ALL the staff, which make this hotel stand out and we would definitely come again. The location and views are excellent and we had an executive double room with fabulous river views. We also had dinner here which was very good value and the special Chicken tikka curry was delicious! Breakfast was all very tasty, hot and well presented.

The location on the banks of the Thames is first class and very convenient for travel in all directions. My wife and I stayed two nights (January 2026) and ate in the hotel restaurant both evenings. The food on both occasions was of very good quality and expertly cooked. We had no complaints and the Guest Rate of a 20% reduction in the food bill made for excellent value. Our room was small but adequate for a short stay with a comfy bed. We had a river view and small balcony. The room was clean and the bathroom had everything we needed. All of the staff from Reception, bar and restaurant were very helpful and friendly. Overall a good experience and one that we can comfortably recommend to others

Lovely location and lovely rooms! I came here for a 2 day course the staff are extremly welcoming especially sunil and Paul they take time to greet the guests aswell as serving them and catering to everyone's needs. When you come here you do not feel like your staying in a hotel your staying in a home the atmosphere is brilliant. The hotel and the rooms are very clean. Bruno you have a great bunch of staff including housekeeping! Keep up the good work guys I will definitely recommend for people to stay here.

Pleasant overnight stay. Interior is very tired and in need of refreshing. Wallpaper bubbling in our room. No water in room which is usually welcome when you arrive. No bathroom toiletries in our room had to go and ask reception. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially Paul which made stay more pleasant. Breakfast was adequate but inferior to other hotels we have stayed at. Dinner in the restaurant was OK except for the stale white bread smothered in butter served with the prawn cocktail. Lovely setting though by the river and I am sure more appealing in the warmer summer months.

Just back from a travelzoo trip to this hotel. Had such a lovely time. Close to Windsor and Reading. All the staff were very attentive especially Mo. And the best hot chocolate from the breakfast drinks machine. We will definitely visit again.

I am pleased to say, despite the issues I had with my room (heater not working, TV not working as good, no headboard on the bed!!), staff at this hotel were very friendly and accommodating. I was moved to another room which was much nicer and bigger, had a few issues again but was manageable. Thank you to all the staff who helped me: AK, Mohib, Emilia and SK! 😊

Hotel is in a great location by the river. It is easy to park and cost £6 per day. The staff are very polite and the service are great. Food and drinks were very nice and the waitresses we had was very attentive. The problem was with our room, when we got back later there was a funny smell which came from the bathroom into the bedroom. We think it might be from the drains you my want to investigate ir. Room was clean but the shower could do with a hand held part. Apart from that it was a good 2 days stay there.

I booked a special deal that gave us a larger room with a view of the river. It also included a bottle of chilled fizz in the room. It was a surprise for my husband before Christmas. We arrived mid afternoon and were greeted by very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel's public rooms have lovely views of the Thames. Our en suite room was great and we enjoyed the complimentary fizz. We will visit again in the Summer as there is a great seating area outside overlooking the river. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for one night B & B which gave us 20% off our food in the restaurant. We received a warm welcome and were directed to our large double room which was fine and had a good view of the river Thames. We shared a seafood platter then I had steak pie and my wife had fish and chips. Both meals were excellent. The house wine was good and not expensive. Breakfast was good too. They had run out of decaff tea bags which my wife prefers. The man serving us darted across to the local shop to get some for her. Very Kind! Thank you.

Although looking as though needing TLC outside, all was good inside. Nice bedroom in annex, good breakfast. Very friendly staff. Right on the Thames and great for walking along towpath to Windsor.

The 4 star rating is solely because of the staff, who go above and beyond every time. I am disabled and struggle to get around. I was given a ground-floor room in the modern block, but the internet wasn't working. Staff were absolutely fantastic. First they gave me the code to the staff WiFi. When that didn't work either, they moved me to a first-floor room (once I had confirmed I could manage the stairs) and I got an upgrade to a king room as a result. They gave me a vouchers for the bar to apologise for the inconvenience. Staff noticed that I had accidentally paid for breakfast when it was already included with my room, and they found me and made sure I got a refund. I accidentally left my pyjamas in my old room and they were returned to me the next day. My room was a bit cold (the heating in the rooms isn't great) so staff brought in a fan heater. At every point where I had a problem, the staff could not do more for me. Thank you to Akshay for particularly great service, as well as a young woman who was often behind the bar, who was responsible for many of these moments of kindness (I didn't catch her name). The hotel itself is a bit tired and dated. The rooms are lacking in some details and could do with central heating. The food in the restaurant is not always fantastic, although some dishes are fine, and breakfast is a bit limited. But you can't beat the amazing location with views right over the River Thames. And the staff are so good that it makes up for these minor issues.

Stayed with my sisters on the 12th November for 1 night and would highly recommend it. Staff all great and had an evening meal which was good. Bedroom very nice and spacious so couldn't fault that. Waiter who served us at our evening meal really good and Paul also very nice.

We have just returned from a great value weekend courtesy of Travelzoo. Whilst the hotel is very dated and worn in places, it's clean, and in a great location with river views from the room and restaurant. There were 5 of us and we ate in the restaurant the first night. Food was good and service impeccable. Great value also with a 20% reduction on the Travelzoo offer. Breakfast was perfectly adequate with eggs ordered as you wanted. The orange juice did leave a little to be desired though. What makes this hotel is the staff! Without exception all were polite, courteous, friendly and wanted to give the best guest experience possible. Special thanks to Paul who went above and beyond and clearly loves his job. Thanks Paul.

I was welcomed at check in by Mohib. He was very friendly and professional. I was upgraded on arrival to room 208, the room itself was spacious and clean with a good view of the river. I ate in the main my evening meal bar whilst working, the hotel is very comfortable. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant, help yourself to eggs, bacon tea, coffee. Parking and wifi were both included. Only one complaint, I asked the receptionist for some more coffee in the room and it never arrived. (not a first world problem tho.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Thames Riviera Hotel. The staff were fantastic with their friendly and helpful approach, and made me feel very welcome. The buffet breakfast was also fab with a great riverside view to enjoy. The hotel was also perfectly situated for an event in Cookham I was attending, which was less than a 10 min drive away.

We booked this hotel because of the convenient location for Maidenhead centre, Marlow and Cookham - all places we wished to visit. It proved perfect, with comfortable rooms overlooking the River Thames. We elected to eat in the restaurant on the first night, and the food was so good we ate there the second evening too! The service was excellent as well, and our young waitress Shreya Roy was a delight and looked after us brilliantly. The breakfasts were also superb, so full marks on the catering front, and all the staff were most helpful and friendly throughout our stay. When we first arrived at the hotel, access to the car park was tricky due to the closeness to a mini roundabout and the traffic volumes, but after that we knew how to turn across and in without difficulty. We really enjoyed our break at the Thames Riviera Hotel and suggest that the Maidenhead Heritage Centre in the town is definitely worth a visit, whilst the bustling shops and cafes in Marlow are really not to be missed.

We had such an amazing stay. We ate in the hotel the first evening and really enjoyed our meal. The buffet breakfast in the morning was excellent. Soft, fluffy scrambled eggs and a good quality sausage! The staff were super friendly and we were thoroughly impressed with our entire experience. Being able to park onsite for free was a bonus as was the close location to Maidenhead railway station for easy access to Windsor or central London. We will be coming back!

We had a beautiful stay and we got big rooms being 3 people and excellent service that we didn't expect. This hotel met more than our expectations. Extremely helpful staff namely Paul Shreya Joanna Ak Samy . They all went the extra mile to help us with whatever we needed at any time of the night . Wine glasses at past midnight . Towels after 5pm . The hotel has delicious breakfast and they extended it till 10am for us . What more could we ask for ? I highly recommend Thames Riviera !

We enjoyed our stay here on our way to Heathrow after a long trip around the UK. The room was large, clean and tidy with a view to the river. Evening meal and breakfast were very good and plentiful. The staff were exceptional and nothing was a problem for them. A very good location for a relaxing stay with riverside walk and an island with wildlife and a pub.

Amazing. Mainly refurbished. Large executive room and very comfortable king size bed. All you could need. Staff very polite and helpful, especially special Shreya Roy food is delicious and plentiful. Ideal location, Only cons were no lift as old building. Also we couldn't turn off air conditioning which made it a bit chilly. Would prefer radiators or plug in heater.

We ate at the Hotel on the three nights that we stayed, very good food, excellent service, Sherya served us on two of the evenings, also checked us in, nothing was too much trouble, and her smile lit up the whole place.

I usually only stay at PI, but I have this a try after a colleague recommended this hotel. As a lone female traveller I felt safe, parking was onsite, I was not on the ground floor and they didn't read my room number out on check in (all safety ticks from me) the rooms are modern and clean, the bathrooms are great, and the TV was a smart tv so I could login to Netflix! I went down to the restaurant on my own, the food was fantastic all home cooked. I will be staying here from now on. Thank you to Shreya and Sunil for the great service you made me feel very welcome.

We stayed 1 night at the Thames Riviera Hotel. We were given a warm welcome and were given a very spacious double room with a balcony overlooking the river. It was very comfortable and very clean. We had a pre-dinner drink in the bar and had a tasty dinner. The staff were all very friendly and made sure our stay was a good one. Two staff members Shreya and Akshay were exceptional. We parked in their car park and had a 20 minute walk to the town centre.

Booked this place after looking at the pictures and needing a place to stay. Don't let the pictures on their page fool you. The hotel is tatty and very run down. The rooms are scruffy and mine wasn't particularly clean. Didn't use the bar and restaurant as I thought if they can't clean the rooms properly, what chance with the kitchen etc. Only bonus is a nice setting on the edge of the Thames. Stay somewhere else.

Just returned from a stay at this hotel,i can only agree with other travellers,location fab,food excellent we recommend,good menu …Ok room appears quite shabby in places but very clean,comfortable bed,had problems trying to get the heating on…thanks to Mohib there he left his bar to help us,you need a degree in electronics to understand hey Riviera how about an instruction card on the wall as most hotels have..(just a thought)..sorry domestic staff had to use hand towel on shower floor very slippery… Staff very very helpful ambassadors were again Mohib and the lovely Akshay ,boy they worked hard behind the bar,helping in dining room & helping useless customers like us…thank you boys charming,polite…another guy to mention is Paul dining room supervisor,nothing passes this lovely chatty guy spot on,only puts enough food out in the morning to keep it hot…well done young man..breakfast yummy please ask if you want eggs poached,fried etc…. We will use this hotel again,don't worry about parking enough bays for customers,just park in allocated bays properly.

We stayed in the Lodge annex and the room was well appointed and had a balcony with a side view out onto the Thames. Our stay was as a base to see lots of local attractions, so we weren't in the room a lot, but it was comfortable when we were. Breakfast was buffet style, with items resupplied regularly a decent amount of choice. Staff were happy to cook me eggs to order (poached) and they were all attentive and helpful. Paul and all the team were great. We had dinner in our first night and the steak and ale pie is definitely one to recommend!

Mohib was very attentive, and polite. Food was enjoyable. Room was neat and clean. However a lot of steps. Overall good.

It was my birthday and there were 24 of my family at lunch. We had a private room, overlooking the river Thames and we had the private use of half the balcony, overlooking the river. One big, oblong, table accommodated us all very comfortably and even after we had eaten, no one rushed us away. The staff were excellent, very helpful, friendly and efficient. The two course meal was really good and very reasonable. Some had a starter and main, others a main and dessert but it all ran really smoothly with no confusion. I had a starter and as it was a Sunday, a roast. There was a choice and I chose beef, it was very good and the meat and veg were plentiful. All together, I would recommend this venue for a gathering or just for Sunday roast for two or more. I can't wait to go back.

We stayed for 1 night but wished we could have stayed longer. The rooms are lovely, beds are comfortable and clean and the views from the restaurant and terrace are so relaxing. Just sitting watching life go by in the river was the best. River walls close by to enjoy too. Great food, the breakfast was one of the best we had had in a hotel and the staff are friendly and welcoming and helpful.

Lovely location overlooking the Thames, Staff were all lovely and helpful. Rooms great. Hotel very spacious and clean Thank you for a great weekend. We stayed in rooms 208 & 209. Didn't notice if there was a lift in the hotel. Breakfast good. Didn't eat in the restaurant as we had already planned on having an Indian meal. Plenty of parking (think there was a small charge for parking).

Lovely location - super friendly & very helpful staff. Excellent good value with a good cooked buffet breakfast included - which can be ate sat out on the deck overlooking the river, the rowing club, and the swans.

We've just returned from staying here over night. This hotel is very understated. Staff here are outstanding, so polite and go the extra mile for you. Hotel is clean and situated right on the river front with lovely views. Our hotel was on 3rd floor and yes the stairs are quite steep and there are many but I'd say it was worth the climb! Our room was clean with both bath and shower. Bed was super comfy. Partial view of the river. We booked with Travelzoo so we had a bottle of Prosecco in our room which we had with our meal and also received 20%off the meal. Food was tasty and plentiful- really recommend the fish sharing board. Breakfast was also plentiful with everything: cereal, fruit, toast and cooked breakfast- must mention the sausages which were lovely. Again a big thank you to the staff who really are a credit to this hotel. Looking forward to returning very soon

Team on duty Shreya Roy and Akshay were most hospitable and attentive to our needs. As premises did not have lifts, they provided assistance with luggages without hesitation. We were impressed by their genuine service and smiles. Being seniors we greatly appreciate the care and help. A very nice mid point stop over from Heathrow to Cardiff. A big Thank-you to all staff who make our stay on 23 August 2025 a breeze.

The Riviera Hotel is a beautiful old building with tall chimneys and turrets situated along the banks of the river Thames.  Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Sunil, who was polite, efficient and gave us all the general information we needed for our stay.  We were allocated an executive room on the 2nd floor with dual-aspect windows (which were full of natural light) with stunning views over the River Thames and the famous Maidenhead Bridge.  The rooms had been recently renovated, and ours was spacious, tasteful with a huge comfortable bed, beautiful heavy blackout curtains, and air-conditioning too (which was a bonus in the hot weather!). A fridge would have been an added bonus btw. The bathroom was functional with a powerful shower over a bath (which could do with an anti-slip bath mat!) but no shelving (lots of room in the main bedroom to store toiletries, though).  It was incredibly quiet at night, and we both slept so soundly we didn't make it to breakfast either morning we stayed! (We heard the breakfast was good, though!). As the hotel is Georgian (which is part of it's charm), there are a number of staircases throughout the building, but easily manageable as they're separated by corridors and have handrails everywhere.  I have some mobility issues, but I managed the stairs with no problems. As the building is alongside the Thames, there is ample seating with tables situated on a terrace right above the river, offering a lovely vantage point to watch the swans, ducks and boats go by, whilst sipping on a drink from the bar. Just delightful and so relaxing! The Restaurant was light and airy, again with picturesque views over the river.  At first glance, the menu didn't seem overly inspiring, but Shreya took us through some of the dishes on offer and stated that they were all cooked from scratch, which was instantly more appealing!  We chose bbq chicken wings, Thai green curry and beef lasagne - all served piping hot and delicious! The following day, the menu had changed but we just had starters from the menu (as we'd esten out) and the 'fish board' was just perfect - a mini prawn cocktail, smoked salmon and piping hot scampi with lemon mayo and warm crusty bread - went down very well with a large glass of rosè or two! Must say, the staff here are fantastic, work so incredibly hard - they were on the go all day, covering everything from Reception to the bar, to serving in the restaurant, polite, friendly and are all an asset to the hotel!  We had such a lovely Bank Holiday break here and will definately return, predominantly due to the hospitality, comfort of the room, the food and the views!

Had a great stay at this hotel. It's a brilliant location right on the Thames and has a lovely terrace to make the most of the views. The staff were really attentive and helpful. The room we were in was a good size, including the bathroom. However, we could have done with a few shelves in the bathroom. The evening meal was pretty good, the usual hotel standard I would say, and the breakfast was nice too. Decent choice. Although I am not a big fan of buffet breakfasts. But the hotel was not too busy so it was fine. All in all an excellent stay at a lovely hotel.

Perfect stay the staff were amazing specially SHREYA ROY very professional and polite. Highly recommended. The view is just amazing you can feel the local Heritage.

Had a lovely dinner and lunch the other day. The establishment was clean and tidy. The food was delicious and came out quickly. We especially appreciated Shreya our waitress, who was attentive and kind. Would definitely come again.

Booked through Travelzoo and enjoyed the stay on the whole....great location, lovely, friendly, helpful staff (particularly Paul who gave us lots of local advice and actually asked for feedback when we said there were some issues.) and huge executive room. However, apart from the size of the room it did not give an executive experience. The website showed bathrobes but they were only brought when requested. Told they are no longer provided and were in the images for marketing. There was only one small bottle of shampoo and some soap. Had to ask for more plus shower gel. No body lotion or other expected executive provision. Basic English tea (no decaf tea only coffee), no biscuits or hot chocolate. No big light in the room and it was a struggle to reach the switch for the bedside lamps from the bed. No non slip mat in the bath. The room was directly overlooked by the buildings opposite and to get privacy the curtains needed to be closed...no nets/blinds/shutters. The room was a great size with a comfortable bed, chairs and ample storage with a lovely side view of the river A few tweaks would raise the standard to what we expected. If I had not taken advantage of an excellent Travelzoo deal I would have been very disappointed and felt overcharged. Breakfast was top quality, the buffet constantly topped up but not kep hot enough and other choices were limited. No fresh fruit to go with the yoghurt, only scrambled eggs, just croissants with no pain au chocolat or similar, no cheese or hams. Didn't appear to be any specific vegan provision but maybe it could be requested. We did enjoy a delicious meal one evening and the location was good with the town, buses and railway station easily reachable and many river walks plus boat trips nearby.

We had our wedding reception at the Thames Riveira and it was just perfect. We had all our guests staying at the hotel and it was brilliant to have everyone together in the same place. The setting was amazing, with the big outdoor space for drinks and canapés and then inside for dinner and dancing. The staff were incredible, nothing was too hard and the whole day was so smooth. I would highly recommend this venue for any event! Especially a wedding!!

Amazing staff and service. Location is incredible too. But the actual hotel is a bit run down. Needs a renovation and lick of paint.

Beautiful setting for a wedding. The staff were very friendly. The food was good and there was a decent range of beers on tap including local rebellion IPA.

We had a surprisingly great overnight stay here, last night. I would have given it 💯 but the outside, the entry and the reception area, are in need is some TLC. On saying that, it didn't spoil our stay. We had an executive room, which was clean, bright, spacious, comfortable and had a river view, which was a nice surprise. We didn't have dinner there, as were elsewhere for a party. The breakfast area overlooks the river, is nice and bright and had a good selection of cereal, fruit and the usual breakfast food selection, all very tasty. The staff are helpful and cheery.

Fantastic location on the River Thames, amazing views. Stops there. Our room was an executive, very large with good views, in the main building. However, I emailed asking for an annexe room, which I was assured was secured. Not the case 'fully booked can't move' on arrival. Disappointed. Noisy neighbours, slamming doors. Main meals disappointing, service charge ridiculous. 3 tables only. 2nd night chef would not take criticism when I left my watery risotto, stating the watery rice was wine and butter? It was swimming with water and disgusting? Pizza undercooked and soggy. Breakfast hit and miss. Tables not set, no cutlery, napkins, plates and empty food containers. Fresh fruit in a plastic container on ice blocks? No yogurts or cakes. Carpark chargeable now £3.50 a night??? No choice but to pay? Room ok but carpet filthy and toiletries for one person. Shame as they're missing out with such a great location and staff not interested in customer service.

We were given a free weekend at the Thames Riviera Hotel due to issues previously which included issues with food, accommodation and service The initial room for this visit had only shower which was immediately changed to room with bath The room we were given had damp issues ie wallpaper was falling off the wall, water seeping through roof leaving the paint peeling off over the carpet. This was reported to the reception staff who told us they would investigate the problems but then no action was taken. At breakfast most guests, including ourselves, had to keep asking for various items that were not out, ie plates, knifes & forks, cups, milk, bread & cooked items. These issues were addressed straight away but should not have happened in the first place. Saturday evening the food was served cold & the Steak & ale pie had two pieces of meat in it, the rest was at least two tablespoons of mushrooms. My wife had the lasagna which looked like it had been in the microwave too long, so it was hard. This was reported to the server who seemed to have no interest in the matter. With a lot of work and a decent chef this place could be a little goldmine but not currently

We had Sunday roast lunch at the Thames Riviera Hotel and it was absolutely fantastic! For the price, the food was delicious – perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The service was really great, and every staff member was friendly, which really made the experience even better. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the Thames River, which created such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere. It's a lovely spot for a Sunday meal, and we will definitely be going back! And we would like to thanks Antonio for making us delicious food and Sunil Baral for his service and company 😊.

Afternoon tea - lovely food. Scones warm and delicious. Staff professional and friendly. Amelia and Sheyra are very attentive. Would recommend. Lovely view of the river
