The hotel is very nice and clean , and pool and hot tub is amazing ! Robb that works there is very nice , the housekeeping is very nice and respectful! Very nice and clean place a good vacation hotel ! Seriously with family friends or couples even
Did not get room I reserved in April. Check in took 30 minutes or more, man acted like he didnt know how to do anything. Rate jacked up due to an event in the area. Way over priced for this hotel. I will be staying at another hotel due to this visit. It's ridiculous!
0 because Janette is so so so so so so rude and ugly. This hotel is not handicapped accessible. No elevator. She laughed and smirked at me when I asked for an accessible room and taunted about there not being an elevator. I have a handicapped placard to prove that I need accessibility and she laughed as she told me my room is on the second floor. She is very aggressive and condescending when she speaks and got as close as she could to my face from (behind the desk) when speaking to me in that manner. She was holding the key cards back from me as she continued to make me stand there and listen to her repeat herself angrily while I wasn't even responding except telling her we're on the same page but I really need to go to my room now as my knee was giving out and I have to work in a few hours. She then laughed and told me she will be here all morning and looks forward to seeing me around. I have never experienced such hatefulness when checking into a hotel. If I had any other option and if it wasn't so late at night I would have immediately gone somewhere that is more kind and ADA accessible. Is that not a law? She honestly scared me quite a bit to the point where I feared walking by the desk alone in case she was still feeling so angry and confrontational. I was literally shaking walking away from her. I travel often and have never experienced anything remotely like this kind of behavior in the hospitality industry. She seems like she truly hates her job here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever.
$200 for a Thursday night stay during power tour. Lanky tall desk clerk unfriendly and acts like you are a bother. Beds old, hard and squeaky. Beds are sunken in middle like a sway back horse. Breakfast had nothing hot but instant egg scramble and poor sausage links. No hot oatmeal, baskets gravy potatoes. Not worth the price of stay. Get you a vbro instead.
Beds need replacement. Sagging and make noise both beds not just one . Room 122. do not sit in the middle of the bed each end 6 inches higher than the middle. Bathroom so small can't fit the sink in it. It is outside by the closet. Tall skinny Lerch looking guy at the counter seems to be way too grumpy.
Front desk staff Robb picks and chooses who can have what at the pool area. He will target you then refuse to let you speak with a manager. He will simply call the cops to remove you because he doesn't like you. Manager will not listen to your side he only response to his staff.
My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and we enjoyed our time. We were happy to find out there was a hot tub once we arrived, because we couldn't find anything online verifying that there was. The pool however was like an ice bath, way too cold to enjoy. The breakfast was good but lacking fruit options. The room we had was clean however the AC unit had a strong smell of pee every time we turned it on. We chose this location because it's only a half hour drive to Columbus and an hour drive to hocking hills so it was right around everything we wanted to do on our trip. The staff here seemed very friendly and I would stay here again if ever in the area.
I've been staying here at least once a year for the past few years and I have yet to be disappointed. Breakfast is always great and the staff are super friendly. The rooms are also very quiet.
Quality of location, safety, room, linens and value = a 10+ rating here. The facility has been so nicely updated throughout. Our stay was perfect. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and again, and again. Ranks one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at during our travels! We will be back!
This hotel states that they have a hot tub (more like bath water) and hot breakfast. Both a lie. The breakfast is not hot unless are making a waffle. Otherwise the breakfast just sit in a tub over water. The sausage was in a small amount of water. The shower head had something black over it, clock that was not plugged in which makes that useless. The room was clean, but housekeeping sucks. She never even came to our room to remove the trash and give fresh towels. When we went to the front desk to request fresh towels and gave them our garbage. Their excuse was did you put out the do not disturb sign, we said NO. We wanted fresh towels and our garbage empty.
Lobby and pool area look nice, but that's where it ends. The hallways reak of smoke and there's no elevator. The room was dirty except for the bed. It was sweltering hot when I walked in the room as the a/c was off and it took an uncomfortably long time to cool down. Look elsewhere, this place just isn't it, especially for the price.
Very friendly, clean and safe environment. Had nice accommodations and extras. Allows pets. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Was allowed to stay with my dog even though a pet room was not available which was extremely appreciated
Enjoyed getting some time away from home. Enjoyed spending time in the hot tub by the pool & in our suite. Enjoyed being able to stay in a suite with a balcony over the pool & hot tub area.Breakfast was really good.
This was the closest place I could find to Columbus that allowed pets so they charged $312/night. I had no choice and I needed the room. The beds were advertised as 2 queens but we only had full sized. They were very uncomfortable and the guests upstairs were loud until 4am.
Decent room. Unfortunately phone in room rang several times in the middle of the night. Another guest had the same thing happen. Apparently this has been an ongoing issue. Supposedly "someone" would be out later "this week" to fix the phones. Bed squeaks a lot like it had the the old type bed springs. Toilet not properly secured to the floor and moved several inches. On the plus side, the breakfast had a variety of items to chose from. The night shift desk staff was fantastic.
The first problem with this hotel is that is is overpriced. For a certain amount of money one expects a higher level of cleanliness and special amenities. This hotel, though priced on a 'better hotel' level, belongs in the Super 8 or Motel 6 category. There was no rug on our floor. There was a piece of metal protruding, dangerously, from one side of the bed. The pillows were skimpy, the safe was broken. The room was small. The fridge hummed so badly we had to unplug it. There's no exercise room in the hotel, and no elevator. The hallways smelled of cigarettes. The only tea offered to guests were Lipton tea bags. The morning coffee was weak. Very weak. Lastly, on the night we stayed there, unfortunately, a group of bikers had a party and a few of them started yelling and slamming doors at 1 a.m. Woke us up. Woke a lot of folks up. That, I realize, could not be helped by the management, it was just 'bad luck'. I always book my hotels on day-of, and don't mind paying a premium price. But I expect a level of service and amenities. This place was a poor choice.
The rooms are pretty clean, there is a jacuzzi tub which is a fantastic feature. However the price felt very steep for the feel that we were staying at a super cheap hotel. If the beds had been more comfortable it would have been worth it. The location isn't horrible if you're going to be local.
Hotel was clean and quiet. Could have used better quality bedding and pillows. Odd smell in hallway. Smelled like stale smoke but was probably cleaning products. Breakfast was standard hot breakfast. But all fruit and bread products were bagged individually, which was nice. Nice hotel if looking for a place outside city
This was a last minute stay for me as I had been unsure when and where I would stop driving that day on my multi-day trip back home. I was very pleasantly surprised by how wonderfully clean my room was. There were small touches, like a lap-desk, mints and shower products. The bed had some pretty noisy springs, but was very comfortable. My room was very quiet. I couldn't hear my neighbors speaking or their tv and the one barking dog down the hall was barely noticeable. The front desk was friendly, helpful and competent (the new girl in training did so well!). I also noticed on my way out the next morning that there was coin-operated laundry by the vending machines. I was traveling with my two dogs and I appreciated that 1) the pet fee wasn't ridiculous, 2) the pet-friendly rooms did not have carpet, and the front desk had dog-potty bags on hand when I needed them.
Went here for lost lands, and getting in and out of the hotel was a breeze. Being so close to legend valley is pretty worth it, especially after you're tired all day. It wasn't like staying in a hilton with fancy glass showers, but it had everything that I needed and more.
We stayed here on our road trip back to Texas after visiting friends in Pennsylvania and Utica Ohio. The hotel staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean. The cost was reasonable and included free Wi-Fi, parking and breakfast. We were able to check-in early and the gentleman at the front desk was professional. The hot tub was a bonus for my husband as he had driven 2500 miles over the 10 days of our road trip.
Staff was amazing. Very nice. Stayed very busy and kept up with that. Breakfast was good and changed up some days. Working Pool and hot tub in pool area. Clean, stocked, and nice extra touches to the rooms.
I've stayed here a few times before and I'm always happy with my stay. It's a bit off the Interstate, so it's nice and quiet. There's also a nice little shopping center across the street for food and drink. The rooms abd breakfast are both nice.
Stayed there, while attending No Prep Kings @ National Trail Raceway, was nice only being about 3 miles away. Close to alot of restaurants for dinner too. Great place, too, being pet friendly too. Good assortment, of continental breakfast food, too.
Pleasantly surprised with helpful and courteous staff. No issues and pleasant breakfast. Many area amenities right outside Hotel, Shopping fuel. Very convenient off the Highway. Pool area well maintained and a joy to use after driving.
Nice hotel for a last minute trip. Close to major highway yet quiet and relaxing. Staff was super friendly. Good breakfast and the young male attendant went above and beyond, this hotel exceeded our expectations and would definitely choose this hotel if we needed a room in the future Jen traveling that area,
The hot tub and pool area is where we spent most of our time as we went just to get warm for a night. There was ample seating and the hot tub and pool were clean with a family environment. The breakfast attendant was outstanding. Such a wonderful lady to meet.
The overall stay wasn't the worst but the internet didn't work the entire stay. We got no work done online and none of our devices requiring internet connection were able to be used. When we tried to address it the front seat manager pretty much said sorry about your luck!!
Worth the money just bring ur cleaning products. And frebreeze for the odor. Not bad just smells like the room doesn't get aired out from time to time. But great space. And u hear everything at the pool if u want quiet it's not happening during pool hours.
Room was so hot couldn't sleep was sweating so much would not recommend also could not sign up for rewards program definitely not worth the price the breakfast they provided was also not good the only reason it was even edible was with alot of salt and pepper
Very nice staff and our room was very clean. I work as a home inspector for a vacation home management company and I couldn't find anything wrong as far as housekeeping or maintenance. We almost stayed in Columbus but at the last minute we chose Hebron. Glad we chose to stay here instead. Very nice area with a grocery, fast food, and ATM all within walking distance. Would definitely recommend. Next time I come back to Ohio, will definitely stay here!
I booked a room with a jetted tub. It was actually a whirlpool large enough for two - very nice. Check in was professional and efficient. Let me know about breakfast and pool hours. Everything was clean and the hotel was quiet. The pool was, also, very clean and neat. Breakfast was omelets made with American cheese, sausage and the usual cold items. There was someone on duty who was cleaning constantly. There is a Kroger, Subway and a Chinese restaurant right across the street that can be easily walked.
The customer service was excellent at Hebron OH Best Western. A young lady named Angela helped me bring some things in from my car and told me where the ice and vending was located. She stated I was close to the stairs leading me to the ground level and parking lot. I felt I had received preferential treatment from her
Stopped at this hotel, dog-tired after 10 hour drive, and no one was at the front desk, with someone already in line in front of me. After FINALLY GETTING CHECKED IN, it cost me $186. Arrived at 9 p.m. and left at 6 a.m. Had to carry suitcase up a flight of stairs. No elevator. TV was so small and so obsolete as to be unusable. Might be a better review if the bill was $79. That's all it's worth. MAKES ME WONDER WHY I BELONG TO HILTON HONORS PROGRAM. I should have stayed at MOTEL 6!
I stayed overnight at this location a few years ago, so I decided to stop by here on my last two days of a month long cross country trip with my car and my bike. I am glad I did. It's a really nice area with some history to it. And, the roads are great for bike riding. There is also a grocery/liqour store and a few places to eat and drink in the shopping center next to the hotel. Very convenient. The room was nice. I was on a ground floor and it had a wood floor (which I rarely see).. I'll probably come back in the future.
We reserved a room for 7/24/2021 through 7/26/2021 and specified we had two dogs. They quoted us $134.99 for the first night and $143.99 for the second night and based on that we booked it for a total of $278.98. When we got home and checked our credit card bill, they charged us $387.58 or $108.60 more than we were quoted. When I asked for a copy of the bill, they emailed it and it included two nights of $20 per pet which was the difference. I called the hotel and told them of my dilemma and they said I would have to take it up with Best Western. After calling Best Western I was told that I would have to take up billing questions with the hotel, although the confirmed the rates I quoted and was booked at. Once again I called the hotel and told them what Best Western told me and they said they would contact them and get back to me. Well a week has passed and nothing has happened, so I contacted Better Business Bureau about their fraudulent practices and they indicated they would look into it. I will never stay there again based on their failure to honor the rates I was quoted when I booked the room there.
If you need sleep and to get off the highway, I suppose you could do worse! the beds were old and stiff, the bathroom was dated, the service homestyle. *the morning breakfast was well monitored and yummy. Keep looking if you are going to spend $140 for two beds. There are no good services open that are close.
The electric at the campsite we were staying at kept flipping our ac off so we started the search for a night or 2 stay. After arriving at Super 8 we decided to call around for pet friendly places. We found Best Western. We usually stay at holiday in bc they are typically pet friendly but the one in Heath was not. When I walked in the decor was updated so it looked nice. Our room was nice and clean and we even had some goodies on the bed for us when we arrived.
I stayed at this hotel during a business trip. It is a mile or so off the interstate in a quiet area. The hotel is nice but not completely updated. The mattress was a little worn but it was evidently comfortable because I slept throughout the night. The breakfast area was good and there was a nice selection of food choices available.
I paid $200 for one night at best western Lakewood and it was the most terrible experience I've ever had at a hotel. The room stunk, the fridge was dirty, and the mattress was awful! For $200 I felt like I was at a $50 motel. I thought highly of best western until this experience.
Not worth the price unless you want to stay in a hotel that hasn't been updated since the 80's and smells like musty wet dog. Don't try to take your kids with you in a King room,as stated by the Concierge the fire Marshall doesn't allow more than two people in those rooms and they'll force you into a two Queen room. Apparently there are some crazy local laws, because I've never had the issue anywhere else. Maybe there's no dancing in that town as well. Move on a few miles!
My stay here at the Best Western was very pleasant. I was just needing a couple days away from everything n I chose the right place, the room was nice. My bed was roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was great, limited to things but I found it to have a little bit of anything you might want for breakfast
Needed a place to stay while driving cross country. Arrived late at night and (thankfully) left early. Cannot speak to the surrounding area however, we may have been better off finding another place to stay. Cleanliness was questionable. Clientele was questionable. Not sure how this was so highly rated on trip advisor. Dated, stains on the carpet, strange smell, hairs in the shower. Keep on driving...
Drug use wide open at property Outdated gross room with pubes all over bed sheets Room next door smoking cigarettes profusely, snorting pills on window sill (can be seen from outside) Extremely unhelpful rude staff
I had to look several times to make sure this 4 star review was the same hotel we stayed at this weekend. The hotel is in need of some major TLC and the rooms were very small. We rented two rooms for our sons 13th birthday with a few friends. We did not exceed the capacity of the rooms but the front desk clerk was constantly walking around the pool and counting heads. He treated us suspiciously the moment we walked in the door. We expected a 3 1/2 star hotel and a four star trip advisor hotel. This is a 2 star hotel at best and am shocked at the good reviews. Drive 5 minutes up the road to Heath.
From check in to check out the staff was great. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was good and convenient. Rooms were clean. House keeping were very accommodating. Anything we needed they provided.
The agent at the front goes above and beyond expectations. He strives to make sure your stay is a memorable experience. He is definitely an asset to the hotel and he is one of the reasons why I will return to this location.
Rented the living room jacuzzi suite for my Mother's birthday. She was excited and loved it. Guy who checked me in at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Highlyy recommend staying here.
Nice place stayed just one night it's next to a superb which is great. The hotel is modern has a hot tub and swimming pool which is great to use. The room itself is spacious it's nice as they have hardwood floor's in the rooms which I do find nicer than carpet. The bathroom I did find a little small but for 1 person it works. Nice to see that they have hot breakfast back as well. All in all a great stay would happily go back again and the staff here are a delight incredibly helpful and polite and had time for a chat was nice.
Exceeded our expectations. Although our room was a little on the small side, the amenities more than made up for that. Our king bed was very supportive, easily the best we've experienced in several years. Everything was super clean. The shower was great and all our towels and washcloths were soft and fluffy. Breakfast was very nice and was done with care for our safety during this COVID time. I would certaintly stay here again. Wish we had had time to use the pool. It looked very inviting.
My sister and I stayed here for 1 night as we spent the day out on Buckeye Lake. The hotel is just a few miles from the water, the Brewery, the Boatyard and about 10 minutes from Papa Boo's. The room was clean and comfortable, we did hear some hall noise as we were located on the 2nd floor across from the door to the stairs otherwise our stay was great! Nice to have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Also right next door to a grocery store and Starbucks (inside). Would stay again!
Evey time we travel to Iowa to see family, we stay at this hotel. Ita always immaculately clean, all staff are friendly. The breakfast is good and Jean, the breakfast lady is wonderful - so friendly and outgoing, caring and goes out of her way to make sure you have a great experience! Highly recommend this hotel!
I really enjoy stay at Best Western and I stay there several time and I'm never disappointed. The hotel is great and the staff is great . I highly recommend Best Western. Great rates that are worth it !!
We had a great experience. We reserved a jacuzzi room, and it was very relaxing. The entire staff are friendly, helpful, and courteous. Only complaint was some of the breakfast food was not fresh, but overall was a wonderful stay.
During our stay we try to go down to the pool we were stopped at the front door of the pool area by the manager my daughter snuck under the managers arm fell in the pool they would not let us in she was drowning he cussed us out and told us he was going to kick us the f*** out of there they did not do anything to him or reimburse any my money or do anything!!!!
Anytime we are in this area we stay at this BW. It's so clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great if you want to eat healthy, but there are lots of goodies, too. Beautiful pool and be sure to ask about the fish in the aquarium in the lobby. They are all named! Wonderful place!
Room was nice. Clean place to stay. Beds were not the best. Ok for one night. Nice breakfast. Convenient location, close to Buckeye Lake. We did not use the pool. When booking it said the pool would be closed.
Nice hotel, very nice staff. Greets you by name, respectful, and the first hotel I've been to that made sure I was truly happy with my experience there. Will go here again, and hopefully soon. I had a few issues, but the manager took care of it. You don't find many places nowadays that honestly put their customers/guests first and truly value them, but this hotel does 100%
Easy access from I-70, building and ground well maintained. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, with fast internet. Breakfast bar has a good variety, food was hot and fresh. Staff is all friendly, helpful.
Complete and utter pandamonium with screaming children running up and down the halls, with screaming parents. People hanging outside on the sidewalk drinking and getting loud. There were a lot of cussing and I was embarrassed to have subjected my wife to that as well. Key cards didn't work and the price of this good time was close to $300 for two nights. When complaining to corporate, we got the run around but eventually the district manager of Best Western made it about as right as we could've hoped for I suppose. The desk clerk was of no help at all with the noise and racket. He lacked the backbone and conviction to eliminate the noise. You would have thought you were at an amusement park and it was late, at around midnight. That noise lasted all through the night. So...I would advise going on a Monday, NOT A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY!
I was so pleased with the staff and their attention to expressing their condolences and listening to me as I was in the early stages of my mother's dying and death. It is so comforting to know staff is so caring in such a time.
Worst stay ever at a BW. The front desk guy was not very friendly at all. Could tell he hated his job. Breakfast was 6-10. Wife went down at 9:50. Rope was already up. At 10, they took it down. If you wanted more after 10. Too bad. Lady was very rude and unfriended. I went to get more eggs, she took it away, right in front of me. Never said a word. Complained to middle eastern desk clerk, could cared less as well. Never again.
My room on the second floor was very quiet. Sorry there was no elevator but fortunately I didn't have a lot of luggage. The full hot breakfast was very good--better than many hotel free breakfasts. Desk service was great. Just a couple of small things--I didn't realize there was a special event going on, so the rate was a bit higher than I was expecting. Also, the special event staff had a tent on the patio that blocked the route from the parking lot to the front door. That was just a tad inconvenient.
Great place to rest your head, pretty clean, great Owner and son. They care about their hotel and the service they provide. Nice location outside of Columbus and not too far from all of the happenings the town has to offer.
Very nice people and the location was very convenient. Close to grocery store, fast food restaurants, gas stations and discovered that there are many recreational things to do that were actually close in the area.
Easy access. Fresh clean fresh appearance outside & inside. Friendly knowledgeable front desk staff member. Our room was clean & fresh and bed was super comfy. Was great to have a very nice grocery store within walking distance. As well as an excellent high quality Chinese Restaurant in the same nearby location. All in all would definitely will stay again when in area & certainly recommend this location!!
Hotel was great!! Front desk very approachable, friendly, and helpful. They were very apologetic that hot tub was not working but that happens. Room was extremely clean. Jean was the breakfast lady and was absolutely wonderful! Very friendly, initiated conversation, very cheerful and interactive, all while maintaining the great breakfast selections and keeping areas clean. The breakfast was great with many offerings...waffles, 4 kinds of cereal, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy, oatmeal, biscuits, premade omelets, potatoes, fruit. We hope to stop on our way back home after vacation - that is how great the experience was!
I stay at this Motel multiple times a week, the service is excellent, the staff is always polite and friendly, the rooms are well laid out, the extra amenities are always well-maintained, and I always have a very pleasant stay.
The place is showing wear and tear, S, side door access code reader did not allow us to enter using key. Gutter on S. W. Corner needs work, window sills are in need of attention, Food was good, nice lady in kitchen area and check-in. remote cover on battery kept falling off.
We left our wallet and returning within less than a half an hour had $60 stolen along with business gift cards of high value. Stop was very unhelpful. When I called to let them know they told me when you leave cash in a hotel room don't plan on getting it back
This hotel that charges Marriott prices has NO ELAVATOR . Yes, it is 2019 and this hotel decided the best way to accommodate guests is to just have stairs to the 2 nd floor. Had I thought to ask I would have asked for a lower floor room. It is really hard to get a wheelchair up a flight of stairs. The front desk clerk helpfully (sarcasm) informed me that “ Code” did not require an elevator for 2 story hotels. Bottom line this a Motel 6 for Marriott prices.
This was a short getaway for my husband and I. We had actually booked a room at a different Hotel. That hotel doubke booked the room we reserved ( thank God) their rooms were tottaly unacceptable..I immediately grabbed my phone and started looking for other accommodations. I came across this Best Western. After reading the reviews and looking at the pictures I reserved a King room w/ spa tub.. The pictures provided when I was booking were spot on, the room was amazing. The spa tub was so relaxing and the hotel staff was super friendly. The hotel was quite, and clean it and the property are very well maintained. Our room had a fridge and microwave. The hotel itself is right next to a grocery store and a chineese restaurant. I could go on and on if you are looking for a romantic getaway then you should stay here.....
Make sure that you look at the confirmation closely. I booked 2 nights and they gave me the wrong dates after repeating them back to me at least 5 times. I had to drive an hour and a half to find a room because of their mistake.
The fitness center is only available between the hours of 8-10 a.m. Checked in late at night and did not desire to use the facility. Left in the early morning and the facility was not available. Receptionist said that they were the established hours because the equipment made noise and they didn't want to disturb the residents in the room above the center. Don't know what the guidance is for rooms with young children bouncing, running, and jumping in rooms on the second and above rooms.
I've stayed at red roof hotels that are better then this. We always use a cheaper hotel since we stay at hotels about 3x/month and usually don't get in late due to my husband being a musician so we are not there very long. However this time I decided to spend a little extra, which I regret now because of this experience. I would've rather drove home at 2am than stay here. We finally got lay down in bed after a long day and we just wanted to watch a little bit of TV which had a remote that did not work, at all. The bathroom fan was broken and did not work so getting ready was miserable. And to top it off housekeeping entered our room at 9:45 am (check out was 11 am) while we were still sleeping, and yes I know they have the hanger for the door for privacy but we shouldn't have to count on that esp when there is still an hour or more until check out. My husband and I were literally IN BED STILL when she entered our room and we had to tell her to stop, The last thing on my mind at 2am when we got there was to hang that hanger up on the door. All of this and we still paid over $100. Like I said I've had better experience at a red roof.
Stayed for 5 nights while dealing with a family medical emergency. They only made the bed twice. They never vacuumed or cleaned the room. I had to go down to ask for toilet paper, tissues and soaps. They had made the bed but nothing else. One night we came back from the hospital after major surgery on a family member. We stopped at a store to get groceries for a family member and decided to buy bathing suits to use the hot tub. We drove through a snow storm and got to the hotel at 9:40. Our key card did not work in the back door so my wife walked around to the front door through the snow. She struggled with the doors but was not given any assistance from the front desk. We got out to the hot tub at 9:50 due to the bad card. At 10:00 sharp the same receptionist opened the door to the pool and yelled its 10:00 get out of the pool. There were only 6 or 7 people in the whole hotel and we were making no noise. It would have been nice for her to come in and say something. To top it all off, the hot tub was not cleaned properly and my wife got folliculitis. The bed runner was filthy on arrival. The heater didn't work right. It was not consistent. We finally set it at 59 degrees. Not a good experience.
very nice place to stay worth the money the pool and hot tub really make it worth the money people are nice and room very clean has everything you need to rest enjoy get a shower shampoo and soap provided with a bag of cookies
I stayed here because the hotel was close to my work place, and it was near my family. I was able to visit my grandson and relax, plus close enough to work the next day. Service was excellent m I showed up earlier and was able to check in. Staff was great. Breakfast could have been much better.
We have stayed in MANY hotels. I have never seen a hotel that didn't have an elevator. They offer luggage carts, but that only helps if you are downstairs. An there are no ramps up to the sidewalk from the parking lot to get the luggage carts up. Now I know why it asks if you want ground or 2nd floor when booking a room. Rooms are nice. Hotel is clean. Indoor pool is really nice. Bathroom and rooms are a little small. We have a family of 5. We got the 2 queen bed room. On the website it shows "roll away" available for this room. With that said we figured there would be plenty of room for a playpen. Barely! Its crowded. But we are only here for the weekend, so its manageable.
This is such an experience near a well-stocked super market; mom/pop-type restaurants; the country; near several small communities of Hebron, Buckeye Lake, Brownsville and Gratiot; and very close to Newark and Heath. The complimentary breakfast here is well done with many choices.
Pleasantly pleased with this hotel. The staff were extra courteous, the room very clean, & there was a full breakfast in the morning and the woman who ran the breakfast bar came over & introduced herself to see if there was anything else we needed. The night before they recommended a terrific local cafe, "Casey's Cafe, which my wife & I enjoyed. This Ohio area was very nice also.
awesome looking pool, unfortunately did not have time to use it... Very quiet, just off the interstate. Good quality breakfast. Small rooms could use some updates. Excellent grocery store next door for late night dinner option!
We got in late on a Monday evening. We had reservations and called when we realized we would not be there until after 10. We arrived and the desk clerk was busy so we waited. She was very nice and explained the only room left was right by the ice maker. We took the room and drug all our stuff in and it had not been cleaned! So we carted our stuff back to front desk and she gave us another room that was a cancelled reservation. We got in and it was clean but had no soap or supplies...We finally made it to bed and discovered the bedside lamp did not work but we were too tired to report it! The morning breakfast was nice and the breakfast helper was very nice. Front desk help was nice and explained that the cleaning crew was sick after a full Sunday...so maybe your stay will be better!
July 15, 2018 my husband and I stayed at this hotel with our two granddaughters on our way back to Mason from New York City. The sorroundings were peaceful and well kept. Walking in the hotel I got impressed with the lobby and the indoors swimming pool and the whirpool. Everything looked nice. Room was cozy and breakfast better than fast food restaurants. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. There is a Kroger grocery store next door. I have such a great time in the swimming pool with the girls. We were all happy wiahing we could stay there longer!
Easy check in and helpful staff. Asked about where to eat and he recommended a place down by the lake. It was a great place to eat and we got to sample some of the local beers. Very convenient having a Kroger store across the road.
We chose to stay at this hotel for one night during a visit to OH for a family event. It's location is very convenient to I-70, it's a short distance from Columbus. Our check-in was rather unnerving, however. First, the front-desk clerk was very abrubt and adamant that I provide a license plate number. She stood steadfastly in defense, pointed to a sign on the wall and on the guest slip and said, "It's policy. I can not give you keys until you give me that number!" I explained that I was not opposed to providing the number but I'd have to go outside to get it and I had my hands full, my husband had just parked and was bringing in several large bags, and that no other hotel had ever asked us to provide this. But more unsettling was the fact that a local police officer approached our car in his cruiser and watched my husband unload. When my husband asked if there was any issue, he simply replied, "Just making sure everything is safe." This experience combined with the long list of safety precautions posted on the door made us extremely uneasy about staying at this location. We frequently stay in large cities such as Boston, DC, Philadelphia and others and have never experienced these concerns with security. We also found it odd that there was no elevator and found the breakfast area to be extremely small and overcrowded.
I stopped in to get off the road. I was tired and so was this hotel. The lobby was clean and well lit. The room i was given was just tired. Plumbing fixtures with the plating coming off, worn rugs dated furnishings. The front desk person was on the phone when i arrived and i waited with other guests while she finished her call. I should have gone past this place instead
We have stayed at this hotel probably 5 time in the last 4 years. Only 1 time did we have any issues. There was a guy dancing outside in the parking lot to the music from his truck radio at 3 am. This latest stay was perfect. I always request a room on the 2nd floor because it is quieter. I have stayed there alone and felt very safe. The bed is comfy & the room was very clean. The shower is great. Thanks, again, for a wonderful stay!
I was not feeling well and thought I would treat myself to a jacuzzi room, bad idea! First my fridge still had things from the last guest, then the jacuzzi could only be filled 1/3 before the hot water ran out then I turned on the jets and water sprayed EVERYWHERE, so then I thought I'll go down and get in the hot tub. Again MISTAKE the pool area was not heated only 60 some. Spoke to the manager and he was so rude, offered me $30 off when none of the reasons I rented the room were usable. I was deeply offended.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel on our prom night almost 15 years ago. Call it nostalgia, but we had an opportunity to get away from the kids for a night, so we decided to book a room. The website offers an instant discount for joining their loyalty program, so we did. For little more than what it would cost for a night of dinner and drinks, we got a Jacuzzi room, free breakfast, and a 12:00 check-out. The room was nice, there were plenty of towels, toiletries, etc. The jacuzzi tub was awesome, but it does have a timer that you have to get out to reset. One negative about the room is there are no USB ports for charging. For the most part, it was clean, but there were a few cobwebs here and there. Breakfast was good. Everything was fresh and plentiful. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits/gravy, bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, you name it. They even have a waffle maker, which I always enjoy. The staff were very upbeat and friendly. All in all, it was a great value. We will definitely stay again sometime.
We like to stay at this Best Western near Buckeye Lake. There are things to do and see in the Newark, Heath, Thornville Ohio area and this hotel is close to all of them. There are a couple wineries and a nice brewery plus historical places to visit.
great variety at breakfast fantastic person running breakfast room. clean and comfortable hotel. Easy check in easy check out. ONLY NEGATIVE was lack of flexibility of the one night clerk regarding the pool area as our group was asked to leave EXACTLY at 10 pm. it was a nice environment to relax in after a couple of long hard work days. Maybe look at the situation and half hour or so extra based on the group. This was older women talking and enjoying down time, not drunk loud and rowdy, or noisy kids. Otherwise a 5 star experience
We asked for and got one of the 2 rooms with a balcony which overlooked the pool area. that was a nice place to relax a bit. The room also had a Jacuzzi which we did not use and the room was very large. There is no elevator.
The quality of Lakewood Inn was average for a Best Western. The carpet was very worn and the breakfast was just ok. The eggs could e better quality and the Krispy Cremes were stale. The lady serving the breakfast was great. Very nice and hospitable. Just need better quality food.
I was visiting family in the Granville area and needed a place to stay for a few nights. This motel was just what I needed. It's small but very neat and clean. A very nice breakfast and the person in charge of the kitchen on the mornings I was there was very nice and helpful with suggesting places to visit. The indoor pool was great - with lots of places to sit and there was also a hottub, The one thing you need to know about this motel is that it is two stories but there is no elevator - so if stairs are a problem for you - ask for a first floor room. Another thing I noticed was how quiet it was in the room - I rarely heard noise from the hallway or above me. A big PLUS!! I will stay there again when visiting family.
expected more for $153/night. THE GOOD: clean close to highway 5 min ride to Lost Lands Festival venue WiFi wasn't bad parking Kroger close by THE BAD: complained about pitiful shower pressure, said known issue, nothing they can do rooms WAY too small and no common areas TV only gets 4 channels no USB charging ports anywhere in room only partially hydrogenated coffee creamer, even during breakfast hours eggs filled with Cheez Whiz :P absolutely disgusting breakfast sausage no sugar free/lite options (only full sugar yogurt) perhaps this is best that Hebron has to offer. wish stayed in Columbus, extra drive time would have been worth it
Very Clean, with decent rooms and better than average free breakfast, Staff was friendly and ready to help at all times. Nice indoor pool. Fairly quiet. Close to I-70. I would highly recommend to anyone need to stay near the businesses close by.
1 night stay for some much needed rest and shower. Thank you! Always very clean and friendly. Should be able to view online invoice tho. Need to update to newer version. Guest rooms are very nice, and roomy.
Have stayed here several times and it is always very nice and comfortable stay, we will be staying here again when back in the area for work. for us it is close to where we need to be, and the kroger next door is convenient for gettin a beer and food
We stopped here while driving back home from Indiana. The hotel is located a few minutes off of I-70, just past the Columbus beltway. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We arrived late, but everyone got a good night's sleep. The hotel does have a pool that looked nice. We did not get a chance to swim, much to the disappointment of our kids. The breakfast offered was excellent: eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, and plenty of coffee and juice for everyone. In addition, the staff was very friendly. They asked about our trip, our stay, and offered some pointers for local attractions. The hotel is definitely worth staying in if you are visiting or passing through the Columbus area.
We were trying to get a cab from this location to our hotel in pickerington but the guy at the front desk called a cab for us to get to our hotel. The cab driver was scary as hell and pulled over on the side of the highway to demand $65 from us before he would take us any further. We didn't know what else to do but give him the money. This place partners with shady business men. Do not trust them.
Our grandson lives in Buckeye Lake and we live in Rossford, OH. We have visitation rights and he is on the Lakewood High School football team. Stayed in this hotel for 3 weeks visitation, so he could attend practices and scrimmages. Accommodations were very good. The microwave and refrigerator in the room was great! The hotel staff members, especially Khaliq, Brittany, Sam, and Jane were so gracious and helpful to us during our stay. Having access to washer and dryer for laundering football clothing was so essential. The breakfast buffet is more extensive than most and the attendant was so welcoming and helpful every morning. A Kroger store right next door was great as well. During our stay his sister celebrated her 12th birthday. The staff joined us in the breakfast room and sang Happy Birthday with us. They shared her birthday cake and make our granddaughter feel so very special!
Stayed at the Best Western during a visit to family. The staff was friendly and checked us in very quickly. The hotel was clean and we constantly saw staff maintaining the environment clean. During our first night there were no rooms on the first floor but were reassured we would be moved the next morning. Before we had our breakfast, the room was already clean and ready for us. Overall, the staff was wonderful, professional and caring. We will definitely stay in this hotel if visiting the area again.
The Best Western was off the highway in a quiet area which was nice since we were traveling across country. The room was easy to get to and the pool was nice. Did not need to interact with the staff as everything was as it should be.
The staff is very customer service oriented. It's a pleasure to stay at a facility, where employees seem delighted to see you. The room cleanliness could be improved upon. The indoor pool was clean. There was a washer & dryer for guest use, which I found convenient. There was a nice variety of breakfast foods. I would, definitely, stay again.
Clean, beautiful inside and out, nice size rooms, nice pool, breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. beds very clean and comfortable. Quiet rooms and easy to get good night sleep. Very friendly staff.
Everything was clean and the food was very good. The room was just as you would like it. And the fridge was stocked with water and sodas too. The parking was okay and well lighted in all areas. I would stay again at this hotel.
Pool closes too early. I went to this hotel specifically to spend time in the hot tub. Since i was in town for fireworks i didnt get to enjoy time in the hot tub....... dissappointing. Besides that everything was fine
clean, efficient staff; decent breakfast but breakfast area was very small and had limited seating. Nice hotel for the price; we have stayed there before when visiting relatives. We would stay here again for the cleanliness and price.
The staff was kind and friendly. The facility was clean and had a welcome appeal. The pool and hot tub facilities were well maintained, nice bonus. Many breakfast options, one of the better I have experienced. The rooms a little small but overall a good deal for the price.
We just spent the weekend at this hotel while visiting family near by. The location is just off of I70 near Columbus and was very easy to find. The staff was very gracious, the hotel clean and bright, breakfast was great, and there was plenty of parking. They have a very nice pool/hot tub area as well.
Way too expensive no nicer than it is. Don't get me wrong, the staff was nice and the place was clean, but the value is very poor. Next time we visit our family nearby, we will be shopping around. Maybe check one or two exits west on the interstate (Pickerington or Kirkersville). This place was decent, but definitely not worth the money.
The breakfast buffet was better than expected. The fresh made waffles and Krispy Kreme doughnuts were a nice surprise. Brittney made sure we had everything we needed for 10 hungry baseball players. If we stay in the area again we will be sure to stay here.
If we happen to travel to this location again we would definitely stay there. The rooms were clean, the staff was pleasant and the breakfast choices were better than most complementary breakfasts we've had. The pool area was nice.
Another good stay. Clean room, friendly staff, convenient location, and felt welcome. the young lady working the front desk was super friendly and everything went very smoothly. There is a Kroger right next door which has gas pumps, very convenient to fill up or get supplies before going to the race track, which is just a couple of minutes down the road. I like this place very much.
Went to Buckeye Lake to relax and listen to some live music. Started at Papa Boos, tried to stop at the Copper Penny - there was no place to park - good for them bad for us. We moved on to the Port listened to more live music then headed back to the hotel.
Dissapointed with housekeeping. Room when changed was not neat and covers left on floor. Nothing restocked for second day. Breakfast was very average. Did not have good experience in pool area due to some other guests
Room was spotless, there was plenty of hot water, plenty of towels, the heating/cooling system worked effectively, the staff were friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was surprisingly good and varied, with more fresh fruit and fresh cooked items than is the norm for these kinds of freebies. Loved the microwave and fridge in the room. Calling this an “inn” is a stretch. The immediate area is not pretty, you wouldn't choose this place for the view - the abutters are a “Vance Outdoors” which looks like a giant airplane hangar and sells guns, motorboats (which were part of the view), etc., and a Kroger's grocery. But we were there for a comfortable place to sleep at night, wouldn't be spending any other time there, and would be driving around the countryside of Licking County which is beautiful. One thing I'd mention to management - get rid of the dead plant in the pool area. It leaves a bad impression in an otherwise meticulously kept place.
Rooms are small for 4 people. Furniture needs moved around or some taken out to allow more walking space between bed and desk. Bathrooms don't have a lot of room to move arpund. Staff was friendly and get clean hotel.
Hotel very nice amenities, special touches like chocolates on bed, microwave popcorn on top of microwave, etc. Staff very friendly. Breakfast very good with bacon, sausage patties, eggs, etc. Only drawback was a small white stain on the brugandy coverlet on bed. That got rolled up and placed next to other bed. As we were leaving the next morning, noticed a brown stain on the outside of the sheets near the foot of the bed. Not impressed with that!
Excellent hotel. Enjoyed my stay at this facility. Staff friendly, kind and courteous. I would like to see turkey offered at all BW as a healthier choice for breakfast than pork. However, overall, I really enjoyed my experience here.
This was our second time staying, for leisure, and I would say it was better than the first time. The room was clean, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. The full, warm, delicious breakfast was even better than we remembered it. And my only complaint last time, (the pool was too cold and fans were on making air temp way too cold), was fixed this time. The pool was still quite chilly, but not as bad as last time, and the fans were not on most of the time, so the air temp was a little better, and the hot tub was very enjoyable. We would definitely stay again sometime.
just try this hotel for a night . The staff is great and willing to accommodate your every need. Rooms are clean and everything in them works. I have never spent a night there and have even a light bulb not work. I genuinely have the utmost confidence that if you try this hotel the value you receive is not equivocal in dollar and cent terms.
I was stranded on I-70 after some car trouble and the Lakewood Inn is the only thing that went right. They offered to accommodate my possible need for a late checkout when the first rental car company failed to have a car ready as promised, called me a cab to get to a second rental car company, and when the car failed to arrive, one of the hotel staff actually arranged herself to have me driven to pick up my rental car. As for the room itself, it was comfortable and clean, a bit more roomy than average, and overall a good landing spot for completely unplanned visit.
the hotel is set up good, very friendly staff at check in, maids were very nice, and morning breakfast was hot and ready when I got there. the room will do very nicely, not too loud, hot one day and cool the next- heating/ac worked great-no problems. gentleman working the desk was very nice.
I would stay here again however it really needs an elevator for those who are up on the second floor. Nice location and easy to get to. Fast food nearby but nicer sit down dining is 15 minutes away. Room was clean but the TVs are smaller than most Hotels. Breakfast similar to what you would get at a Holiday Inn Express and the lady who sets it up is very friendly.
We needed an overnight stop on our way across Ohio. We did not have reservations or do any research ahead of time, but got likely when we stopped here. The rate was good (AAA) and the room was well maintained and comfortable. The hot breakfast was good and varied.
i was really upset that 2 of the 4 night stay they ran out of towels so i could not shower and only came in once out of 4 nights to clean the room. Also when i told staff about no towels and my room not being cleaned its seemed like they did not care and were just making any excuse just to shut me up like saying stuff like we are not prepared to have this many guest. WHAT! You are a hotel that don't have enough towels for you guest!! the room smelled damp the some doors didn't shut cause they were old and no one will fix them. i would look for other hotels before i stay at this one again!!
Great place to stay with a staff that was helpful. Rooms clean and comfortable. Great free breakfast in morning. Has indoor pool which didn't use but no fitness room. Rooms have fridge, microwave, coffee maker and ironing board
We have stayed at the Best Western Lakewood Inn three times now. And, it has always met our expectations. It always has been clean and the staff have been very helpful. We love the bedrooms, WiFi availability, swimming pool & hot tub and complete breakfast. The facility is close the the freeway, home cooking restaurants and a Kroger Grocery Store. It works out well for us, to have all that nearby, since we don't know the area that well. We brought other family members with us this time ad they enjoyed it a lot too.
Our stay at BEST WESTERN Lakewood Inn, Hebron, OHIO was the worst stay we have ever had. We were looking for a place to stay while traveling. We used TripAdvisor to select this hotel. It had good reviews. As we walked thought the entrance to the hotel, we saw a big sign "No guns Allowed". After checking in, The first sign we saw in our room was about no stealing of items in the room (pillows, hair dryer, bed covering, etc). As we walked around the hotel, we never saw any families or older people. All were in their 20 & 30s and not looking very friendly (I know, can't judge a book by it's cover). We went to bed around 11pm and the noise started. Noises from above and the adjoining room. Loud tv and people appearing to arguing. We turned up the air conditioning unit to try to drown out the noise but the unit keep stopping. We thought about calling the desk but based on the people staying there, we were very concerned about our car and our own safety if reported the problems. We packed up at 2:30pm and checked out. I talked to the desk manager and he said he would kick them out. We were packed up and just wanted to get the hxll our of there. He said he would tall to hotel manager and see if we could get some type of a refund. They took our money but the refund never happen. You should never have to experience this type stay. I recommend you should not take a chance on this hotel. This should be zero stars!
The rooms are comfortable. The beds are spring so they are softer and when one person rolls both people feel it. The pillows are very soft. Our room had good air conditioner as well as a refrigerator with a freezer and a microwave. The fridge is not big but it has enough room for a couple of things. The shower water pressure is really good but the head has water spraying all over the bathroom.. the toilet is right next to the shower and I would say that room is a little too small.. u can't really turn around too much in the shower area. The sink is seperate. The upside to it there is a grocery store and subway and a Japanese restaurant literally right across the street. The store has everything so if you forget something it's at a arms reach. There is free breakfast available from 6am to 10am..
Hotel very nice and clean. pool area awesome. Breakfast area great layout never ran out of anything. staff very friendly and helpful with things to do around the area.. Only thing no elevator It did not bother us. but if that would bother you I suggest about a room on ground floor. so far the best best western we have stay in.
We needed a place to sleep on a long drive through Ohio. We weren't there long as we arrived around 11pm and had to leave by 6:30am. The hotel was sold out so I was glad to have made a reservation ahead of time. The desk clerk was friendly and the room was very nice, updated, and comfortable. I would stay here again for sure.
The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful with my stay. They were thoughtful and considerate of my grandson traveling with me. The entire hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff was always cleaning.
We stayed here one night while visiting family. The room is average. We had a King bed. The bathroom is small and the sink is separate from the toilet and shower. The mattress was comfy BUT the pillows are the worst! 4 small cubes that they called pillows! Terrible! Not sure we would stay here again based on that! Oh, and the breakfast coffee is weak, weak, weak!
Facility was clean and staff was very pleasant!! Other than no elevator for the elderly in our family the stay was great, parking plentiful and close to the rooms, pool area was really nice, kids had fun!!
Every June, my neighbor and I always visit Hebron, Ohio for his annual class reunion and stay at the Best Western Lakewood Inn. First of all, the location of the hotel is ideal-close to the interstate, a grocery store and a gas station. The hotel itself is a beautiful building that has been well maintained and is run by a very efficient and friendly staff. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and are equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. Included with your room rate are free wi-fi and a free complimentary breakfast every morning from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The breakfast is a great way to start your day! They also have a wonderful indoor pool with a jacuzzi and sauna that is open from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. After a full day of sightseeing, amusement parks, shopping, etc., it's nice to come back to the hotel and spend some time in the pool area. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are well maintained and very relaxing. All in all, I would highly recommend the Best Western Lakewood Inn...a great place to stay!
Needed upgrade and cleaning. Hump in floor and doors not opening properly did not make it easy to bring in the cart with our baggage. Best thing was the location. Nice swimming pool even if didn't get to use it.
This hotel is by far the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The staff were ALL consistently smiling and offering assistance with me and my grandchildren. The breakfast was over the top. The quality for the rate was perfect for me.
Our RV broke down and we were forced to stay here while it was being fixed. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfy, and the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel is in a super convenient area and I have no complaints about our stay.
The hotel overall was very nice. The lobby, breakfast area, and rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The staff was helpful and courteous. While overall I would give the hotel a good rating and would use them again, I was disappointed by the fact that one of the queen beds in our room was so bow-shaped that it was "unsleepable." We didn't know that until late at night, and so fortunately there were just 2 of us and we were able to share the other bed. The manager gave us a discount because of the issue, but I guess the fact that a room with a bed like that was rented to us bothers me. So, while it was overall a very nice place and I'm rating in "very good," I would say to check out your room facilities careful when you check in.
Needed a hotel for a quick stay (shower and sleep). The hotel was quiet, clean and very much worth the money. The breakfast was good and hot. The accommodations were great. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Clean room, comfortable beds....can't ask for much else. Will stay again. There isn't a lot in the area. However there is a grocery store next door which is extremely convenient. I think there are places for food about a 15 minute drive away.
Stayed here at the last minute after choosing not to drive home. Easy access to the freeway and a 10 minute drive to Denison. Was greeted warmly on check-in, placed in an accessible room (didn't need that, but it was OK). Lobby and room were both clean. Never was able to access the wireless, but I really just wanted to sleep. The drapery did a great job of blocking the sunlight in the morning. Breakfast selection was great, with both hot and cold options available. I would definitely stay here again.
Have stayed at this hotel before, always receive great service, quiet, close to Interstate. They have a really nice breakfast, wonderful pool and hot tub. All the staff was really helpful and accommodating.
BW owners are unique, but they train their staff, add special touches, and they rarely disappoint! We stayed at Hebron a few years ago, and decided to drive the l0 miles away from our Midland Theater "Little River Band" datenight in Newark instead of staying at the nearby DoubleTree and it was worth it! Breakfast items included sausage and bacon, eggs, biscuits, and all the other expected continental items plus delicious coffee. The staff were all very pleasant and efficient, and there were extra treats here: Famous Amos cookes, popcorn, and mints in our room. Our morning at Dawes Arboretum the next day was special too. Just Lovely! Go There!
I stay here for work three times a week, its very clean and quiet hotel. It has a Pool, gym, and a very friendly staff, Krogers is across the street as well as a subway Chinese restaurant, highly recommended.
We stayed for the purpose of a leisure trip, a weekend away with a pool for something fun to do. The trip was great, hotel was great, staff was great, breakfast was great, rooms were clean. The only downside was the pool was pretty cold and the air temp in the room with the pool was cold and they had overhead fans on.
This is a SUPERIOR hotel with EXCELLENT management and staff. The rooms are always clean and spotless. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend staying here and coming back if your ever passing through Ohio on I-70.
Fine hotel with professional customer service, clean and fun family atmosphere. Accommodations offer many exciting attractions throughout the Southeast Ohio hills and landscape. Relax with the Buckeye Lakes close by for good summer entertainment.
Wanted to be East of Columbus starting our second morning heading to DC and Hebron was a good option. Booked the property through Priceline for just under $100 all in. Considering the proximity to Columbus we thought the rate was fair. The property is older, but well kept. The double queen room is very small with the vanity sink in the hallway, and an enclosed toilet and tub/shower. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was standard for hotels at this level.
We had an amazing suite booked and were very impressed with the room we got once we arrived. It was so clean and tidy! The room was very big and the hot tub in the room was clean & in good working order. We couldn't have asked for a nicer room to stay in. We were having a night away from the kids( which is rare), and it was amazing! Khaliq was so kind to us & we even got upgraded! I would stay again if I get the chance to!
Numerous issues with the room and the motel in general. Discussed the issues with the manager and was told "nothing is perfect in this world". There are other motels in the area and no need to waste your money here. The owner of this motel must be extremely stupid to have hired the motel "general manager".
I booked this hotel for my daughter and myself as part of a Christmas present while in town for Roman Attwoods toy drive. I chose it for its advertised pool, hot tub and hot breakfast as well as pleasant looking rooms. First we got there only to be told by the front desk clerk in sweats that the pool and hot tub were closed til Dec 24. Online all sites say "only 1 room left" etc appearing as if they were full. Our car was one of maybe 5 in the lot all night. We took our luggage in and went to dinner. The room was small and dirty (see pic). We came back and watched a little TV (after figuring out it wasn't coming on because it was unplugged). The heat was off too which I turned on around 1am before retiring only to wake drenched as it was unbearably hot (heat was set at 72) so I tried setting it on auto which it wouldn't do. I then turned it off but the room got cold fast. Finally I went to the front desk around about 4am and all that was offered was for me to try unplugging it and plugging it back in and a note was left for the GM. After no sleep we got ready and went to breakfast and I to talk to the GM. I was called a liar, repeatedly insulted, asked why I didn't come down sooner and told the pool closure was on their website which it still is not. I called my husband and told him what was happening to which the GM grabbed the paper where he claimed the pool closure was listed and said if I was going to tell anyone of it he was done dealing with me and he marched back into the office. The breakfast was inedible other than the bacon. Biscuits and gravy were watery, sausage pale and foul tasting. Fruit was ok. With nothing being as offered, no sleep and a long drive ahead of us that night I was only offered a discount after contacting Best Westerns customer Care. I am greatly disappointed in Best Western at this point. (Pics are of bed skirts and empty parking lot)
lock on sliding door was not there broken heat stayed on non stop. even when turned down breakfast was low on items at times didnt seem like they wanted to refill items and also tv kept displaying a menu screen from time to time
Overall, there was very little not to like. Our room (single King bed) on the second floor was comfortable, clean and well-appointed. Every encounter I had with the front desk was pleasant. We enjoyed (and used) the convenience of the refrigerator and microwave (along with the popcorn that was provided for free). I found our bed to be rather firm, which was a disappointment for me, but that is a matter of personal preference. And on a VERY minor note, the TV didn't respond to most of the remote commands (lack of compatibility?), which meant that in order to turn on the closed captioning, I had to fiddle with the manual controls on the TV for several minutes to get it to work. But again, those are very minor issues and wouldn't apply to all travelers. The hotel is very conveniently located across the street from a gas station and supermarket, it's only a mile off of I-70, and it's a fairly short drive into Heath for any of the restaurants and other options you might be looking for in a midwest small town. We did not take advantage of the hotel's breakfast offerings, so unfortunately, I can't comment on that either way. If not for my incompatibility with the bed's firmness, I'd gladly stay here again, and I'd have no hesitation recommending it to others.
Booked this hotel on Priceline s a supposed two and a half star hotel because of location off interstat and many positive rreviews views that rates it eight out of ten stars, but I was disapponted. While location was good, and there was a larg refrigerator and microwave, I was expecting a nicer room and hotel for price we paid. Stairs to room were stained, hallways dim and smelled of smoke, room and furnishings were cheap and dated and drawers would not stay closed in dresser so my husbands bumped into them during the night, the breakfast buffet had limp bacon, pale and tasteless egg patties although do it yourself waffles were good and they did have hit syrup, a good touch. Walls between rooms and in halls were thin enough you could hear what was going on inside, felt we paid too much for an only average room.
Excellent accommodations, attractive lobby, comfortable and attractive rooms, courteous staff. We appreciate the amenities such as the pool and the free copies of USA Today. We travel between PA and KY and always choose to stay at Best Western Lakewood Inn in Hebron, OH.
Close to a Subway, a Krogers, and a nice little Chinese/Japanese place. Clean, quiet, good service, what's not to like?? If you read my reviews, you know I do not sugar coat anything. I like this little place!
hotel's location is excellent. Kroger is right across from the hotel is it about 2 mins away from the highway. Also there are many restaurants at about 10-15mins away from the hotel. Rooms were basic and clean. But the really good thing about this hotel is the quality of their staff. They are really polite and helpful, also they are ready to help you even in the middle of the night. The free breakfast option was good too. Also the fitness center and the swimming pool were a good addition. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
We stayed for one night at this hotel. The staff was friendly that is about all i can say there. We stayed there to not have to drive over 3 hours home after an Alan Parsons Project concert at Midland Theater in Newark, Ohio. Many of the available hotels closer to the event were booked or not great reviews. This one got good reviews. SO, here we stayed. Had a Fridge and microwave. Fairly clean, bathroom was in need of new grout and flooring. Room 114, had 2 rips in the sheers on the windows, my bed sheet upon turned down had grease mark (see photo) from the washer and or dryer on it or someone set a can of grease on it. My bed had a spring or something that hit me in the back and when i moved it made a loud Boing noise. I didn't sleep all night. should of just drove home for that 124.99 plus tax. There was a Krogers and a gas station next door other wise you had to drive about 7 miles away for food, shopping etc.. No Lounge at the Hotel. Expected way more for the price. There is a tacky list of cost card if you steel bed pillows and blankets displayed. WOW tacky. Don't usually stay at best westerns and don't think we will again. I gave it 3 stars cause there were no bedbugs and mold anywhere. Sorry it was just all around disappointing.
This hotel was wonderful. The beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean. Breakfast had a great selection and the room was clean. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The hotel was in a safe area with easy access. I would recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews - so we were very surprised at the condition and staff of this hotel. Toilet didn't work, bed and dresser were broken, staff were watching pornography at night, Very overpriced for the condition and area. I would give this hotel 2 stars - and that is generous.
This hotel is one of the nicer hotels I have ever stayed in (and I work in insurance for hotels/motels) so I am very picky! Housekeeping did a great job making sure we had plenty of towels, soaps, etc. and they even go so far as to leave a bag of popcorn near your microwave (nice touch.) Our first morning there the girl who served breakfast called out so the manager was running the front desk and maintaining breakfast and did a GREAT job! Bless his heart he definitely made sure everyone was satisfied. The indoor pool is nice, very well maintained, and they even have pool towels which makes things much easier. Especially with 2 six year olds wanting to swim multiple times a day. In a very centralized location and easy to find. I would stay again and kudos again to the gentleman (I am assuming manager) that did a great job running every aspect of the hotel at our stay.
We only needed a bed for 7 hours as we continued our cross-country trip. This hotel met what we needed. We were able to make a reservation at 8:30 pm that night. Price about $10 more than hotels further west -- but price probably reflected that we were not far from Columbus, Ohio. Second floor room was quiet and adequate for the night. Had refrig and microwave, updated HAC, and comfortable bed -- (sheets a little worn, but were clean and not too scratchy). Free breakfast included hard boiled eggs (so real protein available). Nothing really to complain about.
