Our favorite hotel in Ellensburg. It was good to be back. We stayed in a King room with kitchenette, and it was well lit, spacious and well-equipped. The only quibble was that the no-name Keurig-clone decaff was undrinkably bad. On the other hand, the Folgers provided in the breakfast room was excellent. Speaking of breakfast: the offering was very good - especially the choice of yogurts which included Chobani and Zoi. Excellent choice of eggs, breakfast cereals, granola, and fresh fruit (bananas, oranges, and apples). The breakfast server was friendly and helpful, even retrieving some ripe bananas (removed to make way for new ones) from the back for me. The staff were outstanding. CeCe gave us a warm welcome, and Kaylie (spelling? - the front desk manager) was extremely accommodating when we had to cancel the extension of our stay. We were even able to get our Rewards points for this booking refunded.
Rooms are clean and very comfortable. Strong WIFI. Downside was the breakfast. Egg omelets were loaded with cheese and were very salty. Few options for proteins. Lots of carb filled options. The staff person worked diligently to keep tables and area clean and replenish food. As busy as she was she was pleasant and attentive.
Traveling for an event with my husband and our dog. Room was large - close to exit making it easy to Potty Ike. Nice grass area .We had a 4 hr drive so it was nice to receive a text that our room was ready early. We were greeted by a very friendly/ helpful staff at checkin. I was impressed with the breakfast - more options than the standard. Both Gluten free and diary- free choices . Almond milk and diary free yogurt . Several restaurants within walking distance . I would highly recommend staying here
Great location, well maintained and clean. Will definitely stay again. the town of Ellensburg is really nice, lots of things to see and do. Great food options. Can be a really base for exploring the Kittitas valley with family or as a romantic get away weekend.; highly recommended.
Nice established hotel! Nice room size and clean. Comfy bed. Good air from the wall unit. Yummy breakfast! And decent steak house right next door. Super friendly hotel staff. Nice and quiet - would stay here again. Took away one star because lighting in the room could be whiter and brighter. Not a deal breaker tho.
We had a large room with comfortable beds and pillows. We enjoyed a great breakfast and a gorgeous sunrise. The train tracks are close, but not too loud when the train comes through town. Lovely walk in town to see the beautiful architecture and history.
The staff were so helpful and kind! The breakfast and snacks were great and my son loved them. The rooms were well kept had plenty of space. The pool and spa were a great place for me and my son to relax and play. We would recommend this hotel for any families coming to visit in Ellensburg. It is centrally located near multiple restaurants and 2 mins away from beautiful downtown Ellensburg.
Our stay was great. Room was spacious and clean staff was friendly. The breakfast was pretty impressive and the gal who attended to it was on top of everything! A dog friendly hotel is a must for us and we would for sure stay here again if visiting Ellensburg. Thank You!
This property was obviously well staffed with individuals who take pride in their work. I moved from a different property who had good staff but not as good as the BW staff. Clean, quiet rooms and great pool and breakfast! I wish all BW sites were guaranteed to be like this Plus location. East Wenatchee, for example, could use some mentoring.
Very comfortable beds, plenty of pillows. Quiet in the hotel and we were right by the elevator. This facility is very pet friendly. Beautiful building and a great breakfast as usually for Best. Westerns. The staff was very helpful and informative.
Everything was wonderful & staff was excellent. Food was delicious and they had plenty of parking for my company vehicle witch is a big box truck. Also right next door to a great steakhouse with excellent food. I would definitely stay again.
One of the BEST hotel stays I have ever experienced. The room was GREAT - much better than I expected. King bed, full kitchenette, sitting area, VERY spacious. Clean, well maintained, and a great value. Excellent breakfast, fast WiFi, friendly staff. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a place to stay.
The front desk and housekeeper were so very helpful and extremely kind. I had occasion to deal with 3 different front desk employees and they were great. The woman who was the housekeeper for my room this weekend was very helpful. She made sure the room was stocked and clean.
I thoroughly enjoyed my 2-night stay. Everything was very clean and working. The AC was the quietest ever. Also my room was quiet and the comfy bed was great. A huge thing: I was allowed to keep my bike in my room overnight. Its a $2500 bike and I didn't want to leave on the rack on my car overnight. The breakfast room was also clean with a lot of selections. Nothing was in short supply. The coffee machine was one I've never seen and made a great cup at just the right temperature.
Although Toilet Paper dispensers in room were broken, it was a great visit. They have the first breakfast bar I have ever seen delicious omelettes at. I have been staying at this facility with my wife for years and it continues to be a favorite stop.
The room was spacious, I was up early and showered, dressed and started working without waking my husband. The breakfast was excellent with staff there the entire time to keep the area clean and well supplied. There was plenty of choices to watch on the 250 channels. Perfect for us!
This was a great roadside hotel. The amenities were clean and updated. The breakfast was free and tasty. Good coffee. I have stayed in other chain hotels near this location for the same price. They are not nearly as nice. I was glad I could bring my dog and also could stay on the second floor. I could actually see out the window - unlike the other hotel near the creek. I felt nice and safe walking my dog around the neighborhood too. I would definitely stay there again on my way from here to there.
Brakefast was good and fresh, and present help.Pillows weren't comfortable. Pool was to cold could only stay in the water for fifteen minutes, air conditioner did not cool the room 😑. Train noise at night. Front counter person was not nice, she was alone, causing a long wait,
Air conditioning was broken and front desk refused to acknowledge or do anything about it . First complain was its hot and they are having trouble keeping up, try turning it off for a while. 2nd time was everyone is having problems, 3rd time claimed i had never raised the issue then said he would put a ticket in for repair but it was too late.
Room and Hotel was clean and well maintained staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast staff very friendly and very attentive to the needs of the hotel guests. food was a hotel breakfast with a variety of hot options daily. Outdoor area was clean and well maintained. Thank you.
Nicer than we expected. One thing though, housekeeping needs to do a better job dusting and vacuuming behind furniture. Staff were very nice and receptive. The free breakfast was what I figured. It was your typical breakfast. I did really enjoy having biscuits and gravy as an option.
My only complaint is that the fire alarm panel at the front desk was beeping non-stop. The beeping was kind of irritating. The staff said that the system was being repaired, but I was left wondering if the fire alarm system would work properly if there were an actual fire.
The hotel was beautiful, the pool was a nice perk! We did find a little bit of hair on our bathroom floor when we first checked in but other than that, it was great. The kitchenette was excellent and very helpful. we stayed on business and were very impressed
We were extremely pleased with the room. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Enjoyed the cookies. Breakfast options were good. The only issue was having to get our door key cards reprogrammed twice while there for three days.
Super Friendly Staff! Rooms were very comfortable. We enjoyed our suite with king bed on the ground floor, very clean. The morning breakfast was great- complete with Belgian waffle and omelette! The fresh baked cookies were delicious too. We were a little disappointed in the spa and didn't stay long, the ph seemed to be unbalanced as it had that funky odor.
We had the room for two nights and they didn't bring fresh towels or shampoo so I called and they did bring them both. My husband and I are older. We loved having the big room. We will ask for that again. FYI I called the front desk to see if they had 7-Up in any pop machine she said they did and that she would call me back with the price of the pop, we waited my husband, finally walked down to the other end of first floor. There was no 7-Up in the pop machine. I did love the hot tub and the big room with the kitchen though.
Clean room, great breakfast! This was a fantastic hotel, exactly what I needed for a quick trip to pick my kiddo up from college. I'll definitely book here again. I even utilized the 24hr. pool and got tub, which was great after a long day of packing.
Gad to see the crews working on facility updates. The room, as always, was great, clean, quiet and restful. Breakfast was good. The staff I interacted with were friendly, professional and knowledgeable, always a pleasure to stay here. Highly recommend staying here if you find yourself in Ellensburg, Washington.
Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The toilet paper crammed in the lights in the elevator was gross., however. We have stayed there several times without an issue. Maybe it was because there was a bunch of young baseball players who were staying there this weekend?
Best Western Plus is has always been a great value. It had extremely nice accommodations - well designed and appointed rooms with little extras. Everyone was quite friendly and we so appreciated the veteran's discount. The only improvement might be to replenish more of the breakfast items as we got there about 8am and the bread/pastry case had little left in it. (probably due to the large high school group chowing everything down earlier) Thanks for asking.
The heater in the room had a clunk when it cycled off. The bedspread on one bed was tattered at the top end. The i e mavhine was out of order and looked as if it had been for a while. However, the staff was extremely friendly. The pool and spa were very clean and nice.
Quiet, clean, hotel. Very comfortable bed. Easy check in/out. Friendly front desk staff. Only drawback was hot tub was just warm, not hot. Stayed here to visit my daughter at CWU. Would definitely stay here again, fair price for the room as well.
I was surprised how quite the room was, it was great! They need help in the breakfast area though. I could not get a complete breakfast. Always missing or out of several items at once. Coffee machine wasn't working right and it took 10 minutes to get someone to fix it.
The room and facilities are clean and comfortable. The staff were friendlyand helpful. Our only issue was having a room located right next to the stairs and other guests dragging their luggage up and down them is very loud. Otherwise, no complaints.
Very comfortable bed. Good lounging furniture in the room. Free fresh baked cookies in the lobby was a nice touch. Not far from restaurants and fast food. Nice pool and hot tub. Breakfast is great.
We had an amazing time at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was amazing! We had a wonderful room. It was clean and it included everything we needed. It is also in a quieter location than many of the local hotels. We will definitely stay here again.
So thankful that it was a quiet room and breakfast was delicious. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. They had an emergency toothbrush available for us to have since my boyfriend forgot his. The sausage and gravy at breakfast was very tasty too.
Service was great, people nice. Room was great. Pool and jacuzzi were nice. Breakfast was tops, But I hated the tub/shower. It had the most unusual slope on both sides of the bottom that made it difficult to stand. To me it seemed actually dangerous. (And I work on company health, safety and environment so I notice things like that). Also, the coffe pod thing didn't work, so I couldn't enjoy the complimentary herbal tea in my room. Only those two things kept me from marking the top score.
Nice, clean, great breakfast options... We were able to hang out in the breakfast area at night and visit with family that stayed at the hotel. The pool was decent and I could run laps and swim. Spa was good enough. A public laundry room was available on site. I would stay there again!
The front desk was very accommodating and understanding of the business need. Made check in and check out as simple as possible. Understood how things change. Clean room, easy parking with a large trailer. Breakfast was on early and fresh.
Great service. I had 2 queen suite and asked for pillows, blanket for kids and the staff were accommodating. The breakfast was standard but clean dining room. The pool was in use by kids and multiple families enjoying. There are a few attractions to see nearby. We went to wild horse renewable exhibit, trail of stone trees and gingko petrified Park.
Always a nice stay. Bed is so comfortable and I appreciate the many breakfast options. Location is not far from the Interstate and is also close to Central Washington University. This is our go-to choice to stay when visiting Ellensburg and CWU.
We had a pleasant stay. The complimentary breakfast is very good. The room was clean and well-appointed. Request high floor if you do not have a pet. There is an elevator. Staff were all friendly. We recommend lunch or dinner at the Red Horse Diner.
We had a fantastic nights sleep at the Best Western Plus Ellensburg. The hotel is clean and nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. There are lots of good restaurants in town and a great walking trail nearby. They allow dogs and were happy to host our puppy.
Hotel is near the highway (I-90) with proximity to a few restaurants that are open through 9PM. Also the morning breakfast spread is pretty elaborate. We used the swimming pool, which was clean. Overall a convenient hotel in Ellensburg that is highly recommended.
The over all hotel was excellent. Front desk was beyond helpful. Would stay there any day and would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast area was clean, buffet was great and tasty and constantly being refilled. We didn't use the pool or gym so can't comment on these areas.
Room was great. Great price on our room. Only complaint is that the pillows are not fluffy, a little hard. Easy location to get off the freeway and great Bar & Grill next door. Nice breakfast in the morning. Very bright outdoor light that the blackout curtain did not keep out, no a little annoying.
room clean, bathroom could use extra cleaning on tiles looked dirty, bath tub did not drain, needs drain in tub cleaned, stood in ankle deep water while showering. Was quiet hotel, and did sleep good so bed is comfy. Staff and breakfast great.
The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. We had a quiet stay, and good sleep. We have always stayed here for the past few years. The rooms and quiet and make up for the mediocre breakfast. Their latest change in the breakfast bar is a coffee maker that is too small to get a travel mug under for a fill up before hitting the road. Fortunately, McDonalds is on the way out of town for a better coffee.
Upon check-in, I was feeling very welcomed. The property was clean the pool in the hot tub or in good condition. The dog area was clean and the rooms were very comfortable. We slept very well. I would definitely stay there again.
Besides a few maintenance issues It was an amazing experience! The pool area is nice but the vents were really dirty and black. Some were missing there was pealing paint. Our fridge was broke and froze everything solid. But the staff and the rooms ate always so great
Love the employees, very friendly and efficient. I Always stay here. Great place to relax and hot tub with pool. The housekeepers do great work and I always recommend it to my friends and family. Clean and friendly. The rooms are very spacious and the breakfast is a great variety
Rooms need a little updating. Things are out of date. Remote to tv is hard to use and the key to the room never worked on the first try. Elevator made a horrible noise when the door closed also. Service was great and everything was clean. I love best western but didn't feel like a plus.
The location is kind of off but the hotel offers a great stay that you will eventually forget it. The ambience at the lobby is elegant and comforting and the staff were great and helful. Thank you for giving me an enjoyable stay!
Property is 20 years old, but looks new. It's obvious that management and staff are motivated to perform. Excellent customer service. Very good breakfast. All in all, we will go BW first just based on this one stay. We recommend!
Great rooms. Friendly staff. Great location. Good restaurants very close by. We like having the separate seating area with a couch, which is a plus over just having to sit on the bed or office chair.
We booked an ADA accessible room. However, I was unable to use the bathtub/shower. There was no seat. The shower head was not on a sliding pole and was at least 7 feet high. However, although I wasn't able to shower, I was able to sponge bath--not ideal. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was only available from 6 AM to 9 AM. We had just stayed at two Best Westerns the previous 4 nights and their breakfasts were available until 11 AM in Boise, and 10 AM in Wendover.
This hotel was in a perfect location in comparison to where the highway assess is. Although it is older you couldn't tell. As well it was surprisingly quiet. The only issue was that the cookies always ran out quickly, but they did get replaced.
stay at a different motel. couldn't use pool equipmen't broken. i have a broken leg swimming and cycling are good physical therapy for my leg. also couldn't use bike in exercise room. bike was behind larger pieces of equipment and couldn't get my wheelchair or walker back to it.
Very nice comfortable hotel, spacious well-appointed room with good bed and wonderful pillows. The fresh chocolate chip cookies in the lobby upon check-in were a nice welcome! Would definitely stay here again.
Quiet, comfy, great staff, great breakfast. Loved the location. Close to everything. Enjoyed the walk 4 minutes from the hotel next to the river! The breakfast had lots of hot food items, and a good selection of other things.
Very comfortable rooms & great breakfast. Staff were extremely polite & accommodating. The grandbabies had a blast at the pool & loved the waffles in the mornings. Will be our go to place when in Ellensburg!
Nice staff, clean rooms, and an indoor pool. What's not to like? Bfast was standard but good. The hotel was close to lots of restaurants downtown and the room had minimal noise. Overall a good experience.
One of our favorite places to stay when we are in Ellensburg. Always clean and comfortable. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast selections as well. Parking lot could be a little better lit but otherwise no complaints
The hotel in general was clean and well kept. The gross exception to that was the pool and hottub area. there was vast amounts of mold and mildew covering large areas around it. It is in need of professional cleaning at this point.
The staff went above and beyond my expectations. The pool looked nice but I didn't have time to try it. The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel. A really good variety of cold and hot items. I would definitely stay here again.
I normally chose Best Western for their consistency and value. The rooms are very comfortable, and the breakfast is appreciated allowing me to get a fast start in the morning. Check In was fast and staff most friendly.
We recently stayed at this hotel for two nights and couldn't have been happier with our choice. The folks at the front desk, as well as the person taking care of the breakfast room, were all friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and very quiet (all things we look for in a stay). The hotel is also conveniently located and close to many restaurant options. We will definitely stay here again when we're in the area.
Great service, spacious room, good breakfast. Would stay here again. We stayed here with our dog and they have a nice grassy area, which is really helpful when traveling with a dog. Clean grounds and excellent staff.
Clean room and comfy bed. King Bed came with 5 smaller but super soft pillows. The citrus toiletries smelled amazing. Had some issues with our hallway door knob not closing on it's own behind us. The mini fridge froze our drinks we placed on in the door. But with the heat that turned out to be a perk.
The beds were Comfortable. The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff was very accommodating for us. Good location for a quick trip. Will stay here again if we are in the area! Breakfast was accceptable!
Great room big shower excellent air conditioning. The curtains were so nice and dark could have slept in all morning. The breakfast was standard for a Best Western Plus. All conditions met our expectations.
We were there for 3 days and 2 nights for my wifes 50th Ellensburg High School reunion. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, quiet and attentive. We had a lot of fund and We will definitely stay again.
We stayed several times at this hotel. Each time staff was friendly, hotel was clean and well stocked with necessities and prices were reasonable. They have a great breakfast with many choices including make your own waffles - a favorite with the kids! I would highly recommend.
We got the jacuzzi suite and it was fantastic. Staff is friendly. Location is perfect, right off freeway. Highly recommend. Breakfast buffet was good but ended a bit too early. Loved that it's per friendly hotel.
Nothing changed as this and past experiences with Best Western Hotel have been EXCELLENT. In Ellensburg even the breakfast was exceptional, beds met our high standards and the crew made us feel comfortable. Thank and we will probably continue using BW on our extended road trip which begins next week.
Great place! Super clean. Staff is wonderful. I work in hospitality and am a bit critical about hotels. This place exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back next time we come visit our college student.
Pleasant staff and good service. The rooms were clean and cozy. They provide a full continental breakfast. We appreciated the friendly and relaxing environment while we were grieving the loss of our brother.
We stayed here 1 night on a road trip. Check in was quick and friendly. We appreciated getting a bag with 2 waters and a granola bar. Our room was clean and spacious and equipped with a refrigerator and microwave. We used the gym and it was small with 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical. We were disappointed that there were no wipes to wipe down the equipment. I read about warm cookies in the evening in other reviews so I went down to the lobby and was told they don't do it if the hotel isn't full - darn! The bed was comfortable. We did hear road noise and trains, but nothing from other rooms. Breakfast the next day had a few warm choices: omelets, sausage links, biscuits and gravy as well as cereal, pastries, yogurt, and make your own waffles. We enjoyed it. We would stay here again.
Nice choice when staying with pets. Clean room, good breakfast (and I usually don't partake.). Best Western does it right for pet owners. Convenient to highway, clean, friendly staff. No complaints.
We always love staying at the Ellensburg Best Western. Staff is friendly the location is clean and we feel safe leaving our truck in the parking lot. Close to restaurants and the main road. Our dogs love to come too. The dog park in town is amazing.
Travelling on business, and have stayed at three other locations in Ellensburg in the past. This hotel was by far the best. Helpful staff and the gas grills are a big plus. Stuck an extra day because the Snoqualmie Pass was closed, Not a bad place to be stuck
One of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Staff was exceptional. Facilities were modern, clean, and easily accessible. Room was fantastic for the price. Room clean, modern and bed very comfortable. Room was huge. Pool and breakfast was fantastic. Don't think I have ever stayed at a bad best western. This on was exceptional.
I was pleasantly surprised. Historically, Best Western hasn't been the nicest of hotels. But this one had modern decor, comfortable beds, all the amenities you'd expect and the bonus of having a microwave in the room. I selected this hotel because it has an indoor pool and hot tub. My 8 yo daughter loved the pool and I loved the hot tub, although it is about 2 degrees TOO hot. My daughter loved the breakfast (waffles!) but it was slim pickings for me because I am on keto and the omelets were not very good. But that's all I can really complain about. The staff were all very friendly.
Great stay....quiet, comfortable room. Good Breakfast. Delicious (and warm!) afternoon cookies. Friendly, helpful staff. We were very satisfied with our stay and feel confident in recommending it to others.
The hotel is very nice and the staff very helpful. The guest room was large, clean and the bed extremely comfortable. I didn't see anything in the room that needed attention or repair. The breakfast area was clean and there was a wide variety of choices to eat. This location certainly represented the “plus” in Best Western Plus.
Excellent check in service. Clean, comfortable room, great breakfast, staff was cheerful and friendly. Easy parking, location of hotel was quiet. Sound of the distant train was pleasant. Look forward to our next stay!
The beds were comfy, the rooms clean. However, I don't know if it was the cleaning product/disinfectant they used but the smell was not pleasant and very overpowering. Was going to open a window to air out our room only to find the screen had been sliced through on one side.
Booked a room at this hotel, which I have done several times a year for business meeting. The hotel is clean and the beds are comfortable pillow tops. My meeting for the next day was changed to a virtual meeting. As soon as I learned of the meeting change which was at 10:30 am I called to cancel the reservation for that night. I was informed I could not cancel it. I was billed $145 for a room I did not use. I will not be using Best Western if I can help it for business in the future.
We were in town for a quick overnight to attend an admissions interview at CWU. Perfect for just the one night and convenient to the interstate, downtown and to campus. Breakfast is GREAT...don't need to go out after their biscuits-n-gravy. yum!
We stay at Best Western Hotels if we can. This is one of the better properties we have stayed at. The breakfast was very good and the staff that was working was so friendly and went over and beyond to make our stay excellent.
Room was ready a little early. Room was very clean. Pool was wonderful since it was 101 degrees in Ellensburg. We accidently left behind a piece of clothing and the hotel contacted us about pickup which was much appreciated. Breakfast looked great (but we didn't partake). We saw that a team of young women were on our floor, but did not hear a peep from them or any doors opening and closing. Air conditioner worked well and was NOT loud.
Nosie air conditioning. Not conducive to a good nights sleep. Although the bed was comfortable. The coffee accommodations were a little weak but there was a Starbucks just down the street which was a plus. All in all it was a good stay and we would stay there again.
Spacious basic room with small sitting sofa and lots of room for the luggage. Comfortable room with all the basics. Only complaint would be about the quite noisy air conditioning next to the bed. We arrived late and we probably found the only available space in the parking lot.
Always stay here on our way to the Seattle area, or points west. Very pleasant and accommodating staff. Thinking of making this a destination vacation for a relaxing stay. We did not partake in the free breakfast, but did enjoy a yogurt & piece of fruit: the coffee was good, too.
The BW Plus Ellensburg is very comfortable with great beds, conveniently located to town and local activities. Always nice to have the included breakfast and to know you will have amenities like the refrigerator etc
We stayed 2 nights because we were going to a music festival at the George Amphitheatre. Loved the hotel! Location was great. The sure with kitchen was so nice. The hotel definitely delivery great service and room were very clean. Bed were super comfortable too
This property has very pleasant staff the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable the property is very well-maintained great breakfast with a very large selection of items, the pool is large and very refreshing
I've stayed at this Best Western in Ellensburg a couple times (first time in 2019 and against in 2022); and both times the staff were incredibly nice, welcoming, and helpful. The indoor pool and hot tub are great amenities to take advantage of.
Great clean hotel for one night in ellensburg. Everything about the hotel checked all the boxes for our family of four and especially liked the 24/7 pool. Beds and rooms were clean and looked to be semi-recently updated. Breakfast was typical hotel fare and staff were friendly.
Every aspect was as expected Great place with no surprises nice bed quiet room very good restaurants in town good location staff was friendly pool was very nice and clean neighbors in adjacent rooms were noisy and rude as expected now days
Enjoyed the location, minutes from Central, Downtown and other activities. Really enjoyed the fact the pool/hot tub are open 24/7 which allows us to visit with family and then come back and relax with a glass of wine (in a plastic cup) or a beer in the hot tub before going to bed. Breakfast was ok, bacon needs to be cooked just a big longer. Rooms were spotless and comfortable. Wish the TV's had the ability for individuals staying in the room to cast to them in order to watch netflix or other on demand services.
We stayed at this hotel in the beginning of June for two nights. As soon as we walked into the room, we noticed a strong, unpleasant smell. We requested a different room, and we were told that there were no other rooms available. We looked at the air conditioner air filter, and it was disgusting (see pictures). Also, the window seal was gross (see pictures). We talked with the manager. He came and took a look at it, and stated that it would be thoroughly cleaned the next day as vacuuming did a minimal improvement. Since the air conditioner was right next to the bed all the dust would have blown into your face if you have used it. We were not able to use that bed at all. We asked for a full turn down service after our first day as they were cleaning the air conditioner unit. When we returned, the bed sheets had not been changed. We know because my wife had killed a spider on the bed closer to the air conditioner, and the spot was still there. Also, room 205 has a flood light (see pictures) outside of the window that illuminates the room at night. We asked for a reduced rate for the room and didn't get it. This was the Worst Western that we have ever stayed at. It was the first and last time that we will ever stay here. There breakfast was good, but that doesn't make up for the horrible room at the rate that they want.
This was a great stay. Evening Front desk staff was great. Even though we arrived later, the layout was so the pool is open 24/7 and is enclosed as part of the building. My teens went in the pool and then the workout room. Room was clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was better than any other hotel we have stayed at: Scrambled eggs with toppings on the side (chopped ham, onion & shredded cheese) Biscuits and Gravy Multiple pastry type items to include French Toast Juice, Milk (Whole & 2%), Almond Milk, and other items Coffee- Decaf and regular and both in 3 different strengths I loved the fact that they had many items to fit special diets. Gluten free muffins, Almond milk and other items. Best bonus is they offer Military/Veteran and/or AARP discount. I will definitely stay here again!
Breakfast that was provided was excellent and plentiful. Convenient location that was easy to find and only a few miles from the college. Grounds, common areas and rooms were all presentable and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful!
We enjoyed our room. The beds were comfortable and the mini suite was very spacious. The check in process was disappointing. I am a Diamond Select member and have been a member over 20 years. Out of all of my stays, I have always been acknowledged and thanked for being a member. The front desk associate here barely could say hello and did not acknowledge my status or offer me the two bottles of water. My credit card still has a temporary hold for two nights; however I only stayed one. The breakfast was okay. The most disappointing item was the bacon. It was so limp, that it barely looked as if it was cooked. Good selection of yogurts.
We stayed in the King suite with kitchen. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, the presence of a full refrigerator and stove top with all the dishes, etc. available. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was outstanding. The cleaning crew was always pleasant. The ONLY downside was the shape of the tub. The bottom was shaped like a V and it was narrow making it difficult to stand in it. I have had two hip replacements and I had to hold the handicap bar while showering. This hotel offered Military discount...$99/night no matter what size of room.
Excellent service even with a late night check-in. Room was clean and spacious. We were upgraded free of charge to a king bed room with a jacuzzi tub. Breakfast was self serve and had a great selection of hot and cold items.
One of the best hotel stays I have experienced. Everything seemed in order and functional. The staff was wonderful; very friendly and responsive. We were with a large group for a wedding and no one seemed to have problems. Breakfast eggs were a little salty, and the room key cards were a little problematic, but the cards could be reset to work. If I needed to stay in this area, I would stay here again.
Staff was short handed, but very helpful and pleasant. Room was very clean and like the bed covering the blanket (not sure what you call it, but my wife knows and loves it). I loved the coffee and real ham chunks in the breakfast room.
Great breakfast, all 4 kids were happy with selection (which never happens) adults were also pleased. Staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, pool was great, everything was neat and clean. Cookies for a late snack hit the spot!
The hotel is located on a quieter street but only a minute away from the main road. The staff are nice and friendly. Breakfast selections are pretty decent. There are some fresh-baked cookies at the front desk if you go there at the right time (before the cookie monster takes them all!). What we liked the most was our king-bed room, generous size, high ceiling with mountain view. The shower is the only thing about our room we didn't like. The shower head needs a major descaling so the water flows better. We will certainly stay at Best Western Plus Ellensburg Hotel again.
Clean hotel and rooms. Comfortable beds. Enjoyed the double queen suite. Appreciated that they offered a few GF breakfast options. Friendly and accommodating staff. Convenient location to CWU for a college visit.
I love how much variety they have for the breakfast. Staff is always friendly and rooms are very clean. The hot tub was very relaxing and enjoyable. I appreciate that the rooms have bath tubs. Bed was very comfortable.
The staff was helpful and accommodating, the mattress, pillows and sheets were very comfortable and breakfast was better than most. I would recommend this BWP to anyone needing accommodations in the area.
Staff was friendly rooms were clean. 27 hour pool and spa were great. Would recommend only complaint would be the breakfast it was cold needed warmed in the microwave. Parking was easy check in was easy
I stayed five nights at this hotel when I was in Ellensburg for the wedding of my grandson. I was pleased that the lighting in the room was good, that the room was nice and quiet, the quality of the towels was good, and the breakfasts were good. The cookies in the evening were also good! Of the better hotels in Ellensburg, this Best Western Plus had the best rate.
Nice and clean and comfortable. Fairly quiet. Desk staff was extremely friendly and personable. No road noise and having a room next to the elevator, no noise from that. Could hear guest voices in the hall.
The staff made it easy for us to find a room. There was no fuss regarding our little Dachshund. The room was clean and bright, the pool looked nice (though we didn't swim this trip). The breakfast included lots of variety and was good.
This was a great place to stay in Ellensburg. The room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed the hot breakfast. The room rate was affordable. There are a number of great restaurants in town.
My family & I really loved our stay! If anyone is in that area looking for a room please check it out! You won't be disappointed & we are picky when it comes to hotels. We can't wait to come back next month!
We checked in after a long day of traveling on icy roads. We were met by a friendly face ,the desk clerk was kind and and helpful. Our room was very clean, spacious, and just what we needed. Upon check out the next morning the clerk asked which direction we were traveling and when he found out we were going west let us know that the pass had just been closed, that we were more than welcome to go back up to our room and he would call us when the pass opened again… Which he did! He didn't have to do that for us, that was customer service at its fines.t
The hotel is a great place to stay when you need a room for a night. We needed an accessible room and the one that fit what I needed was booked, so the manager upgraded us to a suite to accommodate our needs! Great service and great breakfast too.
Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel. Room was well appointed, comfortable beds, clean and quiet. Good breakfast. Great accomodation for our small dog. Nice gravel and grass area with dog bags and bag disposal. Definitely recommend and will stay again.
Quickly becoming one of our favorite BW. It is a short drive to some great outdoor spots but what sets this BW apart is Great Staff. Our checkin was easy and friendly. Our room was extremely well cleaned and appointed. Steve Scot is a wonderful manager and has one of the best teams from housekeeping to front desk. He personally helped with our stay and made it one of the best hotel experiences we have had. His only downfall is he doesn't seem to give himself a day off but we are very grateful for all his help. We will most definitely be back.
Very clean and nice. Breakfast was good no complaints. Staff was friendly. Cookies were good. Pool was the cleanest hotel pool and hot tub I've been in. I work In the aquatics world and was impressed.
Check in was fast. Did request a room on the top floor but was placed on the second floor. Didn't realize until I was in the elevator, but didn't have a noisy room above us so no worries there. Room was big and spacious! Room was fairly clean, just some minimal housekeeping items, a previous guest item on the bathroom floor and hair in the tub. Breakfast was excellent, sausage, eggs, and biscuits and gravy. Love the irish cream creamer! and thank you for the ice scraper!
Was vert happy with the great room size, better bedding, and overall appearance of the room. It was very clean. Staff were very friendly and the pool was a hit with my grand kids. So happy with the clean hotel and nice to have the complete breakfast back!
The staff was very professional, accommodating and friendly. The hotel was immaculate, continental breakfast very satisfying and pool exceptional. Our hotel room was very spacious and comfortable. Location is quiet and setback off busy interstate.
Room was spotless. Lobby clean. Staff friendly. Gave us a great burger joint to go to. Yum .Good breakfast. One of the things I liked it was quiet because it was away from the roar of the freeway. Easy access to and from the freeway. Lots of places to eat very close. For sure will stay there again. My only complaint was they were suing a furniture polish on the chairs and tables right at breakfast time??? you had to get a rag and wipe down your chair and table so you wouldn't get brown polish all over you clothes. Why didn't they wait until breakfast was over??
The room was very comfortable and the bed outstandingly comfortable. I also overslept. Normally I do not need an alarm and a slept an extra hour and a half! The room was very large, quiet and super clean. Thank you for the cookie at night and breakfast in the morning.
We use this hotel as a stopping point between Lewiston and Seattle. Always friendly, close to many fast foods tor those with kids. Better dining in downtown. We ate at the Pearl at 4th and Pearl. A little Asian but food was good. We always gas up in Thorp 10 miles up the freeway.
The location is very nice, near my work and the staff is absolutely unreal in helping, answering questions just everything. Very nice staff! The pool, jacuzzi and breakfast daily is a really nice amenity. Rooms are all clean, extra pillows when requested and very accommodating. The outdoor furniture and able to sit outside and relax is awesome.
Nice to be off the main road a bit, still close to restaurant options and highway. They are limited staff so check-in took a few minutes at the front desk. Nice breakfast, lovely lobby, pool was open, elevator was handy. Only real problem we had was the parking is very limited with very little room for larger rigs.
This was the cleanest hotel, the pool was beautiful, breakfast was delicious and the rooms were huge. Staff is nice, the lobby smells clean and we could see our cars from the room so it felt safe. The location is close to freeway, lots of food and all the fun shops in town. We will be staying here every chance we get.
We drove across country to Washington to our son's new college and stopped for a few nights of music at the Gorge. Besides the convenience of the location, with abundant food and shopping close by, the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Everything is clean and and well furnished. The breakfast is a real meal in a real dining room with pleasant staff. The 24 hour pool and hot tub are a real treat after a long night of outdoor music. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was great. There's an indoor mask mandate in the state now but most staff and customers were not following it. I wouldn't mention it except lots of reviews praise the place for its Covid cleanliness.
Great staff, great room & great price. We were blown away with how nice the room & hotel was at $145 price. The pool is smaller but well kept with plenty of towels & a good sized hot tub. Breakfast was normal hotel fair expect they did provide individual wrapped breakfast burritos.
Nice service and every interaction with staff was very pleasent! Breakfast was good with fresh food and dining area was clean. We chose to eat outside, which was a nice option. Room was clean! Would stay here again.
This is a great place to stay when traveling through the area. Just off the freeway. It is clean, comfortable and staff are great. I would recommend it. Good breakfast and coffee as well. We always enjoy our respite here.
They have decent choices in the breakfast room. It is a quiet place to stay. I have stayed there in the past and it was very nice so returned there with a friend on our way to hiking in the Olympic National Park. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.
Nice and relaxing hotel after a long drive. Reception was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had gluten free choices. However, the eggs were rubbery and overcooked. Had a pan that said sausage but it was empty and not refilled.
Pluses - very clean. Room and bed very comfortable. Nice sized refrigerator. Great having the lamps with outlets to handle all the electronics. Minuses - Was difficult figuring out how to make the water hotter. Bathtub is a danger for taking showers. Have never seen a bathtub that sloped to the middle like that. Biggest complaint - if rooms are not going to be cleaned, then remove the signage about clean sheets and towels which indicate someone is going to clean the room during the stay. Breakfast was good for this type. Lots of options. Unfortunately only had one staff person working it.
To start with, I don't like leaving negative reviews, and I've waited a week before leaving this one, but our stay was not good. On a positive note, the employees were courteous, helpful and all appeared to be hard working. The rooms had been cleaned nicely. We rented two rooms. One was ok, the other not even close. Upon entering that room on this 106 degree day, because of the layout in relation to the AC unit, it was evident we could only use one of the two queen beds. With this layout, when laying down on one of the beds, your head would be directly in front of the AC, and about a foot away from it. The useable bed's mattress sagged badly to the center of the bed. Behind the curtains was a filthy, filthy dirty window overlooking gigantic satellite dishes held down by cement blocks. At dusk, an extremely bright light came on which lit up our room through the opening in the curtains that would not seal off the light. One of our family members staying in our other room asked for a replacement key card, and was given one without being asked for ID. That family member also received three insect bites during the night. Although the pool was almost always empty, we saw two people in it once, we were told it was booked up and not available. The remote for the TV was the standard exposed key factory remote instead of the sealed keypad, easily cleaned remote many hotels are now using. An interior decoration curtain had mold or toothpaste on it. We were so disgusted with this place we all left as soon as we woke up without showering or eating.
We were traveling and needed an overnight stay. The room was very big, very clean and had all the amenities we needed. The a/c worked great and we had free HBO. It exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend!
Very nicely decorated hotel and comfortable rooms. The pool rules are ridiculous. If one has had the immunizations, they shouldn't have to make pool reservations, and be personally escorted to the pool.
Our TV wasn't receiving the local channels and we had stayed over on Sunday so we could watch the Final 4 games. The games were on network TV and not cable. When we complained to the front desk the young woman, Hailey, on the desk told us that the TV guys wasn't there today. I told her they had to do something so she said she would call the manager, She called back and said he suggested we call the cable provider ourselves. After a long discussion with the cable company they said they couldn't do anything without security codes and codes off the box. Told that to Hailey and asked to change rooms. She finally agreed, Can't believe that the manager left a young inexperienced person to try and handle this complaint.
We decided to stay in a hotel after camping before heading home. We have stayed at this location before and it is clean and the bed is comfortable. Very reasonable price and will definitely stay again.
This is our favorite hotel to stay at in Ellensburg and we have stayed at quite a few. The breakfast offered is not back to normal yet due to Covid, but there were plenty of options and everything was clean. The rooms are always clean and comfortable.
Good overall, nice facility and staff, very clean. Sunday there where not a lot of breakfast options and everything was picked over. Otherwise everything was good. We would definitely go back if I'm the area again.
Booked 2 rooms - pool slots were all reserved by the time we checked in except for 2pm next day, I expressed my kids (3 and 5 yrs old) were super excited to swim in a pool. Brandon said we could not since checkout was before the only slot left. So I later booked an additional night JUST so my kids cld get to use the pool. All fine, no big deal. Then as we were checking out - Brandon was analyzing my room details as if I was some sort of criminal for having used the pool or for checking out when I did. I had to explain to him that I had purchased another night JUST so we cld get that 2pm time slot... extremely UNINVITING. I wld expect a kinder approach and to be treated with respect. It would also be nice if there cld be an exception made instead of me having to book an additional night, maybe a call to a manager etc. to give that sense of "we care about the families staying here and we understand" but that was not the biggest issue and of course there is always policy. It was more the fact that I felt like I was being treated like I was breaking out of prison or something when we checked out. Again, Brandon at Ellensburg Best Western Plus - sorry to call you out Brandon, but you can do better Sir!
Parking spots are snug. Easy to find and close enough to freeway to be convenient but far enough to not hear it. Lots of food options nearby and a few within walking distance. Had a king bed with a nice couch. Room was clean. Train sounds occasionally. Constant frog croaking at night. We loved that part but if you don't like hearing frogs croaking, that's easily stopped with the fan. Very close proximity to the jail, but didn't feel sketchy or weird. Decent rate for a stopover. Felt safe.
We were a little disappointed with our stay, although there were some good points too. We booked an accessible room, which in every other hotel means it is disability equipped, with bars in the bathroom etc. Not only did it have no bars/rails, but the door opened into the bedroom and even though my husband only uses a walker and not a wheelchair, he could not manage to get around the door. We were above the swimming pool and could smell the chlorine. We spoke to the man on the desk who said that we booked on their website and got what we booked - not so great customer service! The area was very quiet apart from doors banging, and because there was a pool, the elevator had a wet floor, not good for a disabled person! I am Gluten free - not by choice but health, and there were options for breakfast that I could eat, which was good.
This time my husband went to Ellensburg alone but still stayed in a king bed room and it was awesome so comfortable, clean totally great. Not 1 issue. Love this place the staff is awesome the hotel is awesome overall and the room was spectacular
After three breakdowns...and arriving 5 hours after we had hoped we were greeted so warmly! Given some lovely cookies to enjoy as well!!The parking lot was packed...a bit concerned figured it would be noisy...Nope!!! The room was lovely!! Very spacious! and clean! Breakfast was grand! Nice display, very clean, lots of selections. I highly recommend this Best Western Plus in Ellensburg!!! Oh how can I forget?! Pet friendly as well!!!
From initial point of phoning to check rates and reserve rooms, this hotel was professional, courteous, knowledgeable and courteous. In the middle of the state in a sparsely populated area is a fantastic hotel with a nice little pool! Everything was clean and gave the impression of following Covid protocol, the staff -including the maids-were all very good to interact with. Local restaurant, The Ellensburg Pasta Company, was also a very nice find. Oh and the bed was superbly comfortable!
I had a top floor room on the 3d floor. Not too many guests in hotel and very quiet. i don't think i had guests side to side and did not hear any. i heard some doors close in the hall, but overall very quiet. With the room fan on, i did not hear the train going by when i was sleeping. Very clean room and comfortable bed. Pillows slightly hard. Thr room darkening curtain panels did not close completely all the way, but sufficiently. in high summer it might be bothersome. The grab and go breakfast was good with plenty of choices. Reception staff friendly and professional. i would stay here again.
The room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. the bed was somewhat sway backed from long use and needed to be replaced----but was just barely ok. the bathroom was a different story----the shower head was perhaps the worst i have seen in a motel, not much pressure and a strange high pitch whistle with water full on, the commode was designed for a very small person both the size of the seat and the height of the fixture making it very difficult to use.
Super comfy bed and pillows, the jacuzzi tub was a real treat. Nice people and a surprisingly good free breakfast even with covid restrictions. Will make this place my go-to for Ellensburg. The train was annoying at 3am but that's not their fault. Bring earplugs.
One of the cleanest feeling motels in a long time. With covid issues, that feeling of cleanliness is reassuring. Excellent breakfast selection even with covid concerns. Front desk clerk was friendly and cheerful.
We arrived late but the front desk guy was amazing, super fast, informative and super friendly, check in and out was not a problem, will definitely stay there on our next trip that way! Plus it is pet friendly which is a must in our family
Booked a room at this location, had to call and relocate to Vancouver for weather reason, canceled and rebooked at Vancouver bestwestern. This location still charged me and is refusing a refund! Cooperate is not helping much either best western has lost all future business from me. I provided all documentation to them of the reservation changes and they still refuse to refund charges for a room that was never stayed in even though the reservation was canceled prior to their 24hr policy!
Wonderful Customer Service from Alex at the Front Desk. Went above and beyond to make sure I had a great stay. Can't say enough about the cleanliness, amenities, and service. Super respectful of Covid protocol, breakfast area had a great selection of self serve items. Will definitely stay again. I joined the rewards program and received $10 off at check in. Bonus!
Beds are very comfortable, room decently updated. Pool and hot tub are advertised on website as open, these are NOT open and we found this to be quite disappointment as we selected this hotel for this very reason! Train is very close, so, prepare to hear this through out the night.
Passing through town w/8 week old lab, pet fee was $25 which is fair. Staff are nice, check-in was easy. Only complaint was the clump of red hair on our shower wall. Didn't see it until I got in the shower. With COVID, cleaning needs to be thorough.
Room: We always like to get an upgraded room that has more than a bed and a desk. The size of the unit was very good. The bathroom roomy and had soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion. Everything you need if you forgot something at home. Top floor is always best so you don't have noisy people stomping around above you. The only downside was that the heater kicked on every 10 minutes so it made for a difficult night sleep, and I even wear ear plugs! Bed: The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows to chose from so you could find one that matches your style. Amenities: There was a coffee pot and a small refrigerator in the room. Staff: Everyone we came in contact with was very pleasant and appeared to enjoy their job. They answered all of our questions and were properly masked up since this was during COVID.
We went out for Thanksgiving and stayed in Ellensburg. We have stayed here before but this time we grabbed a room with a jacuzzi tub. After a 2 hr drive and after work it was a good thing to have that jacuzzi there. A nice relaxer to a long day. Staff as usual was great so was the room.
The king studio was spacious and had a larger television than most other hotels offer. The pet friendly room did not have any unpleasant scents as I have experienced at other hotels and outdoor access to the pet lawn was nearby.
The room was spacious and inviting. The jacuzzi was great after a long day of driving. I used the email check-in service which was very convenient. The guy at the check in desk was polite and professional. The only downside to the whole experience was the breakfast. I understand that COVID has forced hotels to make a lot of changes, but man! That was the worst!
It's absolutely a great place to stay. My husband stays often and Says thanks to Dave and Steve it's always like being at home. I've stayed a few times and absolutely agree. Their helpful and friendly.
I checked in and there was a few problems with the room such as the shower curtain was very moldy smelling and a couple other things weren't right so i went down to the desk and asked about changing rooms, the front desk fellow was very nice and accommodating. These Rooms need a little maintenance, both rooms I was in needed it, Overall it was a nice place, great location, nice atmosphere. Staff very nice.
Pet friendly, beautiful clean rooms. Staff friendly and helpful. Wish list: to have Keurig or other coffee maker with k-cups and real creamer in rooms. Located close to everything in Ellensburg Washington. Recommend a great place to stay.
I took a last minute trip and needed a place to stay. This best western is a bit off the freeway, but the staff was very kind, safety measures are in place, and they still managed to provide me a breakfast option. The bed was soft and fluffy, the pillows were like mine at home, and the building was new. And since it was off the freeway there was no road noise!
We like to support pet friendly motels when we travel with our show dogs. This motel is clean and the staff was friendly. No dogs this time. Parking lot security could be improved. 200 characteers required for review? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Family stayed with a dog. Mini suite was spacious, clean and nice. All staff was great (front desk, maintenance, cleaning). Lots of amenities, like undercover grilling area, patio, workout facility, 24 hour indoor pool/hot tub, breakfast, etc. However, most amenities are not available. 24 hour pool is closed. Work out facility is closed. Breakfast is minimal. I stayed in a Best Western 1 hour away 4 weeks ago. The pool was open and the breakfast served was served hot there. Please TAKE MY ADVICE. CALL AHEAD of booking to see what amenities are available. Websites are not up to date. I would stay here again.
This is a newer hotel so everything is nice They have grills available outside if you want to grill something up for dinner. The breakfast options were limited due to COVID. The only negative is the size of the parking lot as I drive a full size truck, but it was still easily manageable. Would definitely stay here again.
The receptionist was friendly and helpful when we decided to stay here. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was decent--due to Covid-19, the selection was limited. I would stay here again if we needed a place in Ellensburg.
The dog rooms are to the back of the main floor. We bring bed coverings to prevent pet hair. The park down the road is very nice & connects with another dog park if you ask the way. Like it a lot. The Subway not far from the hotel is very good. Also some rooms have kitchens. We started going because our dogs are afraid of fireworks & they are illegal in E'burg. However; this year there was a loud municipal display starting around dark & over by 2 hours later. We had to medicate the dogs with vet. RX stuff, but was over quickly & display not too long.
Staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel is taking extra precautions because the the Covid pandemic. The rooms, dinning area and lobby are very clean! They provide coffee and bottled water, and also you can fix a take out bag for your breakfast.
The staff working at this location was very friendly & helpful. Quick check in and check out process. Room was clean and well maintained. I will definitely use this hotel on future business trips in the Ellenburg area.
Decent hotel room. Bed was clean. Main light was burnt out (I didn't request a new one because I was there just one evening/sleep). Nice TV. Bathroom was decent. Toilet paper had been obviously used and room prep didn't fold it or even just rip it clean to to next square. Not a big deal, just not something you usually see. Front desk staff was very friendly and provided a coupon for a free dessert/appetizer from the local restaurants. Hotel location is good and easy to find. The decor around the hotel was nice, there were some nice art pieces. Good place to stay if you are passing through.
all was well and we enjoyed our stay in the same room we always request for the three to four trips thru ellensburg each year. Staff is always friendly and helpful and the chocolate chip warm cookies are good as well
Super clean and one of the nicest BW Plus i have stayed at. Only downside no real breakfast due to Covid issues, they made coffee bananas and yogurt available. Lets call it 4.5 stars as the place was in like new condition, great beds, well furnished etc...
The young lady that checked me in was most accommodating. I was quite early due to much less traffic than I expected and she allowed me to check-in early. I'm sorry I didn't catch her name - I wish it was on our portfolio. There are plenty of eating facilities close by - walking distance.
As we were visiting family in the area for a couple days, we opted for a mini-suite. Overall, the room was nice. Room make-up service was poor to the point that we weren't certain at first if it had even been done at all. Breakfast choices were disappointing. Just coffee and a few cold, prepackaged snack items were available. Even with the pandemic measures in place, a better effort could be made. At check out, we were were never asked about our stay experience or even thanked for our business.
It was very nice hotel, bed was very comfortable, and room was super clean, and AC was not noisy. The bath tub was huge and very clean.TV was bigger than normal, and worked good. The hall outside of the room was a little noisy.
Great customer service very well maintained and nice too .all rooms bright and cozy the grounds look inviting as well. New paint in hallways with artistic pictures beautiful carpet. This is definitely our new home away from home
Nice hotel. Main drawback was proximity to railroad tracks and trains waking us up multiple times at night. Room and lobby were updated-looking, clean and comfortable. Pool looked inviting. More signage regarding location of ice, etc. Would be good.
Very comfortable. We had everything we needed. Covid-19 grab and go selection was better than we expected. This hotel is between the freeway and the downtown area, so very convenient. We like the Ellensburg Pasta Company. It was their first day open following the Covid-19 shutdown 2 months prior, so we were pleasantly surprised.
This Best Western is doing a fabulous job maintaining the covid-19 cleaning guidelines. Not only do they have staff sterilizing all of the grab and go breakfast area, but all of the common areas also. The staff was extremely pleasant, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We will be there again soon! You have done a great job, better than many hotels I have been to.
The front desk gentleman was quite friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the kitchen was nice. We have 2 dogs, drape all the furniture with our own bedspreads & we try to keep any noise down, and in return they let us come back.
We have been staying at this hotel for many years. It was our home away from home before we bought or property over there. They treat us like family. Great place. Great location. Last night they gave us a one bedroom suite with kitchen for $100 just because of the situation we are all in. Instead of price gouging like other places. It will always be our favorite hotel
I stay at a lot of Best Westerns This is definitely one of the nicer ones. All of the staff are very nice! Big comfortable rooms and beds. The breakfast was pretty great. I will definitely be staying here again.
Simple hotel close to freeway on travel. Looks like there is some remodeling happening. A bit out of date, so great time to remodel. Room was clean and adequate. Bed comfortable. Came in late without reservation and they had room.
It was my first time in Ellensburg. I received a warm informative greeting about the hotel and the community. The rooms were nice and well taken care of. Beds were comfortable and clean.24 hour pool and fitness room, many options for breakfast. There was painting and construction going on but it did not disrupt my stay
My issue with this stay was I booked one style of room but was “ upgraded “ to a handicap room next to an exit and stairwell on the ground floor, this proved to be a very noisy room. When trying to explain this to the front desk she became very defensive and offended that I didn't consider this an upgrade. I had booked a regular king room and requested a top floor, I got in late and was put into a handicap suite on the ground next to an exit and stairwell that had smokers coming in and out all night. The people above my room were very heavy footed and pounded around till very late and up early the next morning stomping around some more, this is why I always want a top floor. I feel they gave my room to someone else as I was late getting in that night.
Nice welcome, clean pool, good breakfast. Clean room except for a hair in the bath tub. Really nice management at from desk (Alex I think?). Overall good stay, would stay here again. Pool is open 24 hours, bonus!
We arrived at Best Western Ellensburg at check in time. However, I had the confirmation on my phone but Booking.com did not forward the information. We were able to secure an ADA room for my daughter and I for the first night, but would have to change rooms to a non ADA room the second night. That's ok we have dealt with a lot worse. The staff was more than accomodating having the second room cleaned and ready at 11am. So I didn't have to load and unload our stuff. Beds were comfortable and clean, breakfast was delightful. My only comment is it would be really nice to have a sliding shower head instead of a stationary one and fold down arms around the toilet.A BIG thanks to manager and staff.
It was my first time in Ellensburg. I received a warm informative greeting about the hotel and the community. I was offered coupons for dining options. The rooms were nice and well taken care of. There was construction going on. But it didn't disrupt my stay.
Good: 24 hour pool and fitness room, gluten free and dairy free options for breakfast. Unlimited coffee all day. 4 o'clock cookies. Good mattress. Only 55 rooms so not too crowded. Big tv. Good internet speed. Quiet except for train whistle. Bad: next to train tracks, limited breakfast options. Limited tv channels
Very nice room and good friendly service. Good choices for breakfast...love the cookies in the afternoon too. Very clean and neat hotel. Only suggestion would be to get a better warming unit for the scrambled eggs.
A very nice hotel rated high in the Best Western chain. We really appreciated the kind and professional staff. Both night front desk James and day Front Office Manager Alex rose to the occasion of extending our stay when floods closed the roads to our next BW reservation. Not having to change rooms and seeing we had what we needed was a step ahead of other hotels and eased our minds. Our thanks to your staff.
The rooms are clean. The beads are comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had a good variety including dairy free and gluten free options. Everything I expect from best western. The only surprise was hearing the train at night.
I truly like this hotel. I love the metal art they have around the lobby. I didn't make it down to the hot tub this visit due to work but I have in the past. I also like the cookies, fruit and drinks available upon check-in.
I stay here on work trips. Always great service and clean comfortable rooms. There are restaurants within walking distance. They even have a nice barbecue area to use. Great place to spend some time at.
This hotel is always clean, always has courteous staff. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and well maintained. I missed the lemon ice-water that is in the lobby during warmer months. It was a good stay.
From the welcome and helpfulness from the front desk clerk to the room's cleanliness and great amenities, everything was just right for these tired travellers. Definitely the must stay property in Ellensburg!
Traveling between Kalispell and Bellingham to take kids back to college because the trains had been indefinitely delayed. Stayed Saturday on the way and returned Sunday on the way back. Great restaurant recommendations. Decided the hot tub looked inviting, but I didn't bring a swim suit. Front desk suggested Fred Meyer. Great selection. I enjoyed a long relaxing soak in hot tub very much. We travel this stretch often between home and WWU, so will be staying again and will recommend to friends and family. Thank you!
Very comfortable beds, low noise levels, and accommodating staff! The hot tub and pool were both very welcoming as well. Several stores close by. I do not reccomend the RoadHouse diner they offer a coupon for though.
Great room, great military rate, great cookies! Breakfast was best hotel breakfast in a long time. Ellensburg brewery had good German food. Quiet and good bed. We like to stop and rest before heading over the pass.
The pool was filthy. Service was good, Allyse is a jewel. Chlorine gas from the pool fills the halls all the way down. Room was good, love the layout. Didn't have the breakfast. Will try again. Why does it have to be so many words?
This was my first stay at this Best Western Plus and I loved it! Very friendly staff! Very quick check-in and check out process. Very nice facilities, great clean and fresh new room! and comfy bed!!! Parking was well lit and was secure the night I was there. I will stay here again for certain!
The room that I was in, 110, must not have been remodeled yet. The door had to be slammed in order to get it to latch securely. There is Mold on the wallpaper above the shower/tub surround. Photos available.
We got a king suite with a bedroom, everything was absolutely great! The room was clean and bed was comfy. Would have been better if the couch pulled out and if the tub was better but if was all still great. The only reason why I docked a star was the pool area was kinda dirty. The staff was wonderful though!
The hotel flooded before we arrived. I checked in via mobile check in and requested a 3rd floor room which I always do because the top floor is usually more quiet, I informed the hotel in the mobile check in that would wouldn't arrive until 9pm. What we weren't told before hand was that the hotel flooded and once we arrived it was like a war zone. Large fans everywhere! Tubes running down the hallways, walls torn apart, construction company still there working at 9pm. We were traveling with my brother and his wife who have a baby and we were told the elevator was out and we would have to use the stairs which in theory would have been fine but with extra baby items was a little inconvenient. When I mentioned this, the girl at the front desk said “well we aren't doing refunds but we can do a cancellation and you can go somewhere else”. I could not even believe she had the nerve to say that! I told her I would talk to her manager in the morning as it was late. I wish I could attach pictures of the construction on the floor we were on. It was crazy and the fans were so loud and right outside the doors to the rooms. I get that things happen and have to be repaired but the way that it was handled and the way we were treated was uncalled for. A better response could have been, can we help you carry your things upstairs or something like that. The manager in the morning did make up for things and give us a refund on part of the room rate and was very apologetic about the construction and their rude employee.
Pleasant hotel. Great pool and hot tub, good breakfast. We were just really caught off guard with how loud the lobby was. They apparently had a pipe burst a few weeks ago and were trying to dry the place out. They had lots of commercial fans going and there's was a little bit of a mildew smell. The elevator also didn't work. It would have been nice to have a heads up with that or at the least a cut rate. Luckily where our room was we couldn't hear the fans at night. Overall, friendly staff and nice hotel. We would return.
Once every 4 years we travel to Ellensburg WA for Thanksgiving. For years this has been a place to stay with an indoor pool for kids, great breakfast before we travel out for our large family (55 - 75 usually) traditional feast. Great staff to work with and quiet clean rooms to come back too.
This hotel has the clean & convenient lodging, and reliable service I have experienced at other Best Western hotels - and it takes it up a notch with some of the details (linens, furnishings, etc). Actually feels like a higher class hotel. Would definitely recommend if you have reason to go to the little town of Ellensburg! It was a little higher price than I expected - but when I checked other hotels for the same date it was very comparable.
Have always stayed here overnight before battling the Seattle area traffic. The desk clerks are always friendly & very helpful. Our room was large & very comfortable. Only problem was a couple with noisy children who used the hallway like a playground. Alex at the front desk was helpful in changing our return trip overnight stay on 11/19 from Ellensburg, WA, to the Best Western in Walla Walla, WA. Only problem was that when we arrived in Walla Walla the arrival date was 12/19 & the Ellensburg stay had not been cancelled. Fortunately the clerk in Walla Walla was able to correct the mistake.
We couldn't have gotten anything better for the money. Front clerk was very kind and attentive during check-in, no issues at all. Our room was exactly what we wanted, a very comfortable king sized bed, clean and lots of room. Bathroom was clean and had all needed amenities. The breakfast was fantastic! So much to choose from, waffles, biscuits and tasty sausage gravy, eggs & bacon, all kinds of bread choices, yogurt with numerous toppings, juices, coffee, etc etc. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This is a modern and up to date property, clean, large rooms, comfortable bed, and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and plenty of choices to accomodate all diet needs. A great location, no noisy businesses and very private. Easy to find and less than a mile from the I-90 Exit.
A very nice hotel, friendly staff, and good location. We were in a 2-bed Queen Suite and it was really roomy. Breakfast was good and the biscuits and gravey was excellent. If your are travelling through Washington and need a place to rest I recommend this hotel.
First time at a Best Western Plus...what an amazing surprise! 24 hour pool! So quiet you'd think you were the only ones there! Super attentive staff...had to move one of our 6 nights and needed an extra chair in sitting area and they gave us a big comfy one! Didn't get up for breakfast but overheard other customers praising it. Their overall attitude had a "wow" factor I don't usually get on our many trips. Will definitely be back for more next October.
We went for a weekend and I screwed up the dates when making the reservation but Paul took care of it without a problem. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. The breakfast area was clean and the food was pretty good. The young lady working the breakfast area was friendly and spoke with everyone. They are pet friendly and the pet area outside was really accommodating and clean. The rooms were in good condition and there is a restaurant within walking distance which had everything we were looking for.
This is the second time my sister and I have stayed at this hotel. Friendly, efficient staff; nice breakfast; free parking; clean room with comfortable beds, plenty of towels, and a table for playing games. Everything we needed.
Beautiful room, nice kitchen and handicapped shower. Since my husband has mobility issues we asked for a handicap accessible room and it was great...lots of room to move around and easy to access and operate shower. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Glad to know that dogs are welcome so when we travel with our pup we can stay with you. Breakfast was a nice surprise for us, so convenient. We will definately stay again.
The hotel front counter person I think his name was Alex was very helpful and even gave us coupons for dinner. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean. I enjoyed my coffee maker. Breakfast selections were good.We will be staying here again. Go Cats!
Always a pleasure to stay here. Dog friendly and people friendly as well. Clean and well appointed. We always look forward to staying here when visiting our granddaughter attending Central Washington University.
In Ellensburg for CWU football game! Thus hotel is very clean and staff so friendly! Beds soooooo comfortable too! The breakfast was good too. Loved it and we will be staying here all the time when available!
Loved this location and the spacious rooms. We were on the 3rd floor and had a nice view of the sunset and towards the north, Mt Stuart. It was solid, quiet and the bed was comfortable. It got down to 20 at night but we were never too cold or to hot. The sitting area was nice and the bathroom clean and had nice touches, like a makeup remover and dark washcloth to finish the job. The breakfast had lots of options, and I especially enjoyed the "condiments" bar for yogurt or cereal, which included nuts, currants, granola and more. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and when we asked about a walk nearby the clerk printed us a map and it was close by, along the river at a City Park. That made this location and BW a big Plus for us!
Comfortable bed, extra nice bedding with full sized soft pillows, good shower spray with nice citrusy bath products. The breakfast ham was good. If the scrambled eggs had been real, it would have earned another star.
I was so pleased with every aspect of our stay at the Best Western Plus in Ellensburg! From working with us on our rate when we missed our wedding group rate price, to giving us early check in. The staff at BW did everything they could to make us comfortable. The rooms were very clean and spacious and the free breakfast was awesome. I definitely recommend staying here to everyone!
Nice room layout, good front desk service and a very good breakfast buffet. The hotel offers a large indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is centrally located so it's easy to get to other restaurants and local sites.
We once again stayed in our favorite Hotel in Ellensburg. Desk clerks were so helpful and friendly. It did not disappoint, clean, friendly, helpful, comfortable bed, we even use the guest laundry and it was great....It is always a pleasure!
Alex took great care of us; made sure we had an early check-in to make a wedding on time and made sure we had everything we needed to take care of our son. He even recommended a great place for lunch that was local. This guy needs a raise.
Great place to stay when visiting the area. Beds are super comfy. Location is perfect & very quiet! Pool and hot tub are nice. Breakfast is good. Price is a little higher than some in the area but you get what you pay for! Will stay here every time we head over to Ellensburg.
This hotel is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Kittitas Valley. Close to the heart of Ellensburg and Central Washington University. This is my “go to” hotel in Ellensburg. Staff is exceptional. Rooms are very clean.
We stayed here for an overnight business trip. We have stayed in several BW's in smaller towns over the last year and most of the time our experience is very average and just adequate. This BW was a very pleasant surprise. We reserved a mini king bed suite. The room was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed, love seat, desk, fridge and microwave. There was a night stand on both sides of the bed (not always the case, we have learned). The bathroom was clean with ample space. A black washcloth for makeup removal was provided - something I have not seen in any hotel we have stayed in. The fitness room has a treadmill, bicycle, elliptical and weight bench. The pool area is very nice with a small seating area outside. There is also a small area with BBQ and seating/tables in the back of the hotel. The breakfast room is spacious with a good selection of typical hotel breakfast food: 2 waffle makers, biscuits and gravy, “cheese omelettes”, sausages, 5 dry cereals, oatmeal, yogurt (with toppings!), hard-boiled eggs, apples and oranges. There are several fast food restaurants and a Starbucks in the immediate vicinity. The cute downtown with many restaurant options and CWU are just a mile away - a pleasant walk or quick drive. This was the perfect place for our overnight stay. We have several more meetings here and are looking forward to staying here again.
Their standard rooms are more than adequate, very clean, king or queen size beds and sufficient room for a couple or small family. There are a wide array of restaurants and shopping locations close by as well.
Facility appears to be quite new or very well maintained. The people were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nice. It is a smaller facility on the south edge of a University and Rodeo town (near the freeway). Walking distance to a steakhouse and many fast food options. The indoor pool is large and very nice.
I have stayed here several times while my daughter was in college. I come back now because of the comfort, friendly staff great night sleep. Pool and hot tub for relaxing and breakfast before you leave.
The suite was crazy. Never expected this type of a room at a chain hotel. I believe in the Best Western brand and try very hard to only stay here. Never had any problems, enjoy the staff and all of the provided amenities.
We were upgraded to a full kitchen suite. The room was very comfortable, had a couch and ottoman that surprised us it was so comfortable. We really enjoyed the full size refrigerator. The breakfast was good and the access from the freeway was easy plus there was a great restaurant next door so we could walk. I would totally recommend this hotel. The pool was great too.
I travel alone so I am always concerned about my safety. Best Western Plus Ellensburg Hotel always is welcoming and sees to my every concern. I know I'm safe when staying there, just as I am in my own home.
The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and well equipped. There wasn't any adjoining rooms and the couches in the rooms were not pull out. The hotel is on a pretty busy road and multiple trains come through very close and blow their horns.
Best western plus in Ellenburgs WA. Front staff were very helpful, room was great and very quiet. Breakfast choices were hot, and numerous choices to met everyone's best breakfast. Very easy access from mai. Highways but would help if there was signage when it's time to turn.
We always stay in suites with a separate bedroom, as we have different sleep habits. After reserving a suite, which pictures on the website showed as having a door between the bedroom and living area, I called to make sure that was in fact the case. The person I talked to said yes, it was separate. When we checked in, it was not. The bed was in the same area with the couch, desk and tv. The only thing separate was the kitchenette. When I went down to complain, I was told that was the only type of suite they had, so we were stuck with it. I ended up moving the tiny dining table into the back corner of the kitchenette so I could read or be on my computer while my husband slept. To top it off the bed was much too hard for me, so I barely got any sleep. Won't ever stay there again.
Only spent one night & didn't have the opportunity to utilize the pool - darn, as I had brought my bathing suit! The amenities were there, but just barely - would have liked to have had larger shampoo/lotion portions as there wasn't enough for 2 people. Staff were friendly! Check out wall above shower - detected what appeared to be black mold!
Room was great and clean, the bathroom was very clean. The biscuits and gravy were delicious! Loved the 24 hour pool as well. The staff was friendly. You yeah and how could I forget, the bed and pillows were heaven! Thanks, we will definitely stay at Best Western again!
We have stayed at many Best Westerns and this is my favorite! The staff is so friendly, helpful and professional, and well trained! They obviously love Ellensburg, and want guests to love it too! We were with a large family group and they accommodated our quirky needs, with smiles. Early checking, a corkscrew, rearranging their breakfast room tables for a group; all was accommodated, with smiles! The rooms are large and well appointed. They are spotless! If you are going to Ellensburg WA, this is a great place t9 stay!
First impressions were great and held up for the duration of stay. I'd gladly stay here again. I pulled in pretty late and the sun had long since gone to bed. I immediately noticed the parking lot was well lit and clean. Road noise was low as well. Walked inside and the desk clerk was well dressed, clean and courteous. Elevator was clean too. Got to the room and opened the door. There was an initial overwhelming aroma of a freshening spray (or cleaner). Almost too much but it dissipated rapidly. Room was clean, nicely sized, and at a comfortable temperature. Well apportioned with 2 Queen beds and a small sofa + desk and chair. Large TV, mini fridge, microwave, small coffee pot. Beds were comfortable and had four pillows each. Breakfast is free and pretty standard fare for a free breakfast at this price point. Nice to see Gluten Free options and decaf coffee / teas too. Fresh fruit. Plenty to eat and again - breakfast area was clean. I did not check out the pool or fitness room.
This Best Western was very comfortable. The reception desk people were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast area had plenty of seating with a wide variety of food selections. We love the cookies that were made each afternoon!
Unfortunately, husband's wallet was stolen at the nearby restaurant. All credit cards and cash were stolen. This hotel was incredibly unhelpful to him in a very difficult situation. They were more interested in how he was to pay for the night's stay than helping him. (Luckily, the charge had already cleared to be paid) The manager on duty on August 11 in the morning offered no help to him whatsoever. Lessons learned. You would think, that in a small town like Ellensburg, people would have been more helpful. However, 3 people in the breakfast room offered to give him $10 each to get on the road to Seattle. Thank you to those kind folks.
This was truly a great hotel. The people, the breakfast,The pool, the room were all wonderful! We drive a truck across the United States and have stayed in many different hotels and by far this was the one of the best
I had a great stay, the beds are the most comfortable I think I've ever slept on and I travel alot with work all over. Couldn't be happier with the hotel and the roadhouse restaurant next door compliments the best western within waking distance. I will be looking forward to my next stay there thank you
Awesome staff! Cameron, Steve, Alex, Elyse all the front desk staff is awesome. Housekeeping staff is amazing. Breakfast ladies are super nice. Variety of breakfast items. My husband and I have enjoyed our stay.
Located away from the major freeway gives one a quiet nights stay. Large room with a settee, desk and king bed. Was a little more expensive than our previous night at the Best Western in Yakima. Would recommend it to others.
Great location off I 90 quiet, clean, modern , lots of amenities, friendly staff. Wonderful breakfast options scrambled eggs and bacon and biscuits and gravy and healthy yogurt and granola plus more than you would find in your kitchen at home. Cookies and 24hr great coffee ! Pool looked inviting and outdoor terrace area very appealing. We will return !
Very nice front desk staff. Very good accommodation for a no-frills stay. It is probably the best hotel in the area as Ellensburg is a very small town. However, I thought it was kind of pricy for its simplicity.
Great hotel in a great location next to Restaurants and a new Dutch Bros. I would highly recommend this hotel. Large rooms with a small living room make it feel larger than most hotel rooms. The comfortable beds were a plus too.
Alex at the front desk, was very helpful after a somewhat traumatic day. From helping with registration to all the extra assistance we needed, we were so well taken care of. We were even able to keep the motorcycle in the lot till we were able to pick it up. Thx BW
Hotel and staff are top notch minus the AC units in room. Ours would not stay on and when we set it to continuous fan the AC wouldn't work. Luckily temps were in the 80s so our stay was pleasant but this is a concern for a hot summer day. Room was 219 but the design and location of that unit makes me believe other rooms will have similar issues.
Tired and ready for bed the barking dog in the room next door was not a welcome addition to our stay. The website stated that pets are only allowed on the first floor of this motel so we thought our 2nd floor rooms would work fine. When I brought it to the attention of the front desk the next morning I was told that pets are welcome on the first AND second floor... so be aware if you suffer from allergies or don't want to be disturbed while trying to rest. Other than that we had a lovely stay, beds were comfy and breakfast good.
Stayed in a double queen with 3 adults and one dog. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The person who initially took my reservation was efficient and charming. I was surprised by the quality of the pet area which included pet waste bags, a disposal can, and lush grass. Would recommend and would stay again.
I cannot praise the staff enough. Everyone was very friendly and courteous. We felt at home. My daughter forgot her toy in the lobby and they brought it to us. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was nice. We definitely plan on staying here again!
I usually try to stay at a Best Western, and the Ellensburg location did not disappoint! The hotel was scrupulously clean, and Alex behind the front desk was an absolute dream to work with. When our remote for the television didn't work, he came up personally to bring us a new one. Breakfast was good - I will definitely stay here again!
The staff was great . The room exceeded my expectations . The trip to the gorge was quick and easy . I will definitely stay here again . They made everything so convenient for the concert goers. Parking was free unlike most hotels these days
This hotel is a really good choice if you need to stay in Ellensburg. The staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and everything works well. This hotel is easy to get to off of I-90. It is easy to get to the historic downtown as well.
Everything was great... room, cleanliness, quietness, check-in, location, but the pillows were horribly uncomfortable and I woke up with such a neckache. I maybe should have checked with the front desk to see if they had others that weren't so thick and firm. My husband didn't mind them at all but he usually sleeps with two pillows so they worked well for him. Our AC unit worked well with good temp control but had a bit of a rattle.
After a long drive it was nice to pick a hotel that wasn't right off the freeway. Quiet was great. Front desk gentleman was very nice/professional. Our room was a suite with a nice sofa to read/relax in. Room was large and well appointed. Shower was just so so and on the small side. Bed/pillows were comfy and we had a good night's rest. Nice breakfast, even pre-made omelets, that my hubby said we're pretty good. Nice to have bacon over sausage for a change. The usual items were offered as well. Plenty of choices. Just wish they served breakfast alittle later than 9 AM.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus while attending a concert at the Gorge Amphitheater. The hotel itself is lovely with comfortable rooms and nice amenities. The staff is nice and it was a great stay. I recommend staying here when you're in Ellensburg.
Stay here in January every year. The front desk is always helpful, the rooms amazingly clean and comfortable. Things are even better now with Uber having arrived and available in Ellensburg as well! Took and Uber to PitaPit at 2:00 am and back. Front desk was very professional, courteous, and friendly as I engaged them with chat whilst in my pajamas.
It is always a pleasure to stay at Best Western Plus in Ellensburg. The staff is always nice and the rooms are great. The new tv remote system makes for a more enjoyable stay. This is the best hotel in Eberg.
Our group stayed in Ellensburg for an Eastern WA tour of the Natural Wonders and we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to a nice sit down restaurant or fast food. The continental breakfast is kept well stocked with plenty of choices and options with those who have diet restrictions. Staff is knowledgeable about the area and will make recommendations for places to eat and visit.
Beautiful rooms, lovely decor, nice paintings on the walls, very clean and new feeling. We had an RV that needed to be parked for the night. The desk clerk, Alex, went outside, down the walk to make sure there was plenty of room for us to park our RV before we entered the property. He continued to help us with our questions and assisted us beyond the call of duty.
Probably one of the Nicest and up to date Best Western's I have stayed in. Rooms were big and had the most comfortable beds in them. Pool and hot tub were a plus. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed staying here after a concert at the Gorge. It's close enough and everything was clean and comfortable. They have a nice, free breakfast in the morning. The staff was pleasant and welcoming.
Was in Ellensburg for business for a night. The hotel is nice, looks pretty new and only a couple miles to the old down town section with bars and resturants. I will stay here again when working in Ellensburg. Had a free little breakfast too.
We liked the location of this hotel as it was near the interstate but not right next to it, so it was fairly quiet. There was an excellent restaurant just across the road too. Breakfast was good too. There was a good amount of storage and comfortable bed.
This is a quiet, comfortable property for an overnight stay when traveling across the state. The rooms are spacious with a separate sitting area. One thing to note, however, they don't provide DVD players; and this time I found that connecting and using my own DVD player required requesting a special remote from the front desk in order to switch the TV from TV to DVD player. I don't know what they'd do if they had multiple people wanting to do this; they acted like they only had the one remote to do this. Rather an unusual practice, I think.
Nice hotel with easy access on and off the I 90. Clean, with loads of parking and quiet. All the staff were very pleasant and there was a pool for those who wish it. Right next door to an excellent Restaurant, The Roadhouse Grill, and 4 mins by car will take you anywhere in Ellensburg---a nice little town for a stop or a break.
Overall great stay other than the lack of communication with the management and other workers. Great breakfast and great swimming pool. Close to food choices and shopping. Friendly maids and breakfast servers.
My wife is an English teacher and her kids were going to Central Washington University for A History Day competition. She called about holding some rooms while she gathered the details about which kids would be traveling. She was required to provide her credit card but was told there would be no charges unless she set up the group reservation. My wife ended up making a reservation at the Super 8 because it had better rates, better service and a pool for the kids to swim. The Best Western charged my wife's credit card over $1800. She called the hotel right away but the manager would not speak with her. She called Best Western Customer Relations and they told her that the hotel was telling them a different story but that they asked the manager to call her and that they were sorry for how she was being treated. My wife had to dispute the charges through her credit card. Yesterday we noticed even more charges on her card and called Customer Relations who said they would send us an email so we could send them all the charges but they did not follow through. This whole process created stress and worry. Below are the charges that this hotel charged my wife's credit card. It got so bad she had to cancel her card and have a new one sent: 5/5/19 ADJ-BEST WESTERN HOTELS Lodging 904.46 5/11/19 BEST WESTERN HOTELS Lodging 904.46 5/8/19 BEST WESTERN HOTELS Payment/Credit 904.46 5/7/19 BEST WESTERN HOTELS Lodging 904.46 5/7/19 BEST WESTERN HOTELS Payment/Credit 904.46 5/6/19 BEST WESTERN HOTELS Lodging 904.46
I love this Best Western. They must have great management because I have stayed at other ones that were terrible. The rooms are always nice and clean, the front staff are nice, the breakfast has lots of options, and it's close to everything in town. I sleep so well every time I stay. I have to travel to Ellensburg quite a bit and I always choose this hotel. PS The warm cookies in the lobby are a bonus!
This was my second stay at the Best Western Plus in Ellensburg, and nearly everything was as good as the first time. The hotel is clean, well-appointed and conveniently located. The staff is great. The breakfast options are what you would expect. The only things not 100% perfect were the TV system - about a third of the channels didn't work in my room - and I could not call down for express check out because I could not reach the front desk. I did not report the TV issue, so they had no chance to correct it or let me know if it was a hotel-wide problem. So that's on me. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are in Ellensburg.
We have stayed here a couple of other times. I think they are doing some renovations. The king bed and pillows were very comfortable. Had a little trouble at check in, but I called corporate and got things straightened out. The breakfast was ok, but didn't seem quite as good as last time with the sausage & omelet area. Also, the morning desk clerk was very unfriendly! Never said Good Morning once.
Great room, friendly staff! Stayed at another hotel in Ellensburg and left a day early because it was HORRIBLE! Thank you Best Western for providing a beautiful and clean room ! Picking up my daughter from college was perfect!
This motel has very nice rooms and the staff is fantastic. It is located conveniently off the freeway. You can walk to restaurants or drive to many others. Nice to have a free hot breakfast, too. We would recommend to any travelers.
It's a group favorite when we come to Ellensburg for meetings. We always love the cookies, and the rooms are modern and clean. Wished their breakfast was a little more robust, but it does the trick. We'll be back I'm sure.
Stayed at the hotel while in town for a track meet. The hotel is very clean, modern and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed everything about it except that we had to wait a little while for breakfast as everything was not fully stocked. I would definitely stay there again!
The hotel personnel were friendly and accomodating. The facility and the room were clean.I had trouble using their online check-in tool but when I called, the person at the desk was very helpful. Everything went as planned. Their breakfast is probably great for families with kids but, as two adults traveling on business, we went elsewhere for food.
My granddaughter goes to CWU in Ellenburg and we have stayed at various hotels but this one really stood out. We enjoyed everything about it. Pool and hot tub close to children at 10 so adults can have some time. They let our family use their breakfast room in the evening for family to get together and play cards. Had a great experience
Always a friendly welcome when I come in from a long drive. The staff are helpful. The rooms are nice and there is a nice pool. The breakfast is great. You have a nice selection of food to choose from for breakfast. The rooms are nicely furnished. This is a nice choice when driving through Ellensburg, Washington.
Great place to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts good. Rooms are very spacious and beds extremely comfortable. Pool and hot tub are a definite plus. Will stay there again next time we are in Ellensburg, Wa.
In addition to the accommodating front desk staff, we enjoyed our room and the extensive complimentary breakfast. The location is convenient for I-90 travel and be aware there will be the occasional train whistle.
James, the front desk employee at this location was the worst hotel employee I have ever met. He was obnoxious and loud, and made my girlfriend and I super uncomfortable. He stared at us through the window while we were in the pool, and then took 20 min to come back to the front desk later on when we needed a new key card.
Excellent stay, friendly staff, clean. Two small things to address...1) shampoo size is very small.2) breakfast was out of eggs and bacon and they couldn't keep up with the flow of patrons, thank goodness for biscuits and gravy! Outside those small items, this was a great stay. Thank you!
My family of 5 stayed here recently. The hotel was clean and acceptable with basic accommodations. However, the staff was exceptional! They were very helpful, friendly and hospitable. If we ever find ourselves in need of a hotel in Ellensburg again, we'd stay here!
Super quiet hotel, big comfortable room, very comfy bed, great pillows, whole place very clean, staff friendly and nice. Checked in without reservations - no problem. Wished there was a little more parking near door
This is one of the classiest Best Western's. Bed was fantastic and window opened for fresh air which most motels dont offer.very nice new building and awesome pool. A hot tub with double side by side jets for a perfect massage!! Not experienced a feature like that before but a smart design!! All in all a pleasure to stay at!
The staff and hotel were great. Check in went smoothly. The staff was friendly and helpful, even loaning my colleague a phone charger. This is definitely a place I will stay again in the future. Not one bad thing can be said about my stay!
We always stay here when visiting our daughter at CWU. It is close to restaurants, always clean and quiet and off the main road. We also love that they allow dogs. The breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast but nice to have available. If you don't want hotel breakfast 1201 bagels a half block away is great for a change.
The Suite rooms, with the soaking tub in them are awesome. Great get a way. And the pool and hot tub hours are 24/7 - that is great! Great staff, very nice. The restaurant next door was very good too.
This is an excellent location for activities in Ellensburg and the surrounding area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast is well stocked. If you stay here and eat at The Roadhouse Grill be sure to mention the Best Western as you save 10% on your meals.
We just stayed at the Best Western Ellensburg and really enjoyed our stay! The room was very clean and we enjoyed the small sitting area with a two-person couch and a small bench to prop your feet on. We always appreciate a coffee maker, fridge, and a microwave, which this room had. The staff was very friendly and helpful and more than one of them said "We look forward to having you stay", or afterwards "Thanks for staying with us!" The breakfast was good and had many options to choose from. It was a convenient location to downtown and the Spirit of the West Cowboy Gathering events at the fairgrounds that we came to enjoy. The Roadhouse Grill next door was a handy place to eat and had good food. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Ellensburg.
The rooms and amenities were clean and perfectly fine. Free breakfast was handy. This hotel is conveniently located between the freeway and downtown. I wouldn't call this a destination hotel but it suited my needs just fine.
We quite often stop in Ellensburg and recently decided to try the BW Plus. Found it very reasonably priced, comfortable and clean. The staff was top notch as well. A convenient restaurant next door that is within walking. Will be a place we stay again.
My family and I were in the area for Donkey Basketball in Thorpe when a snow storm came in and stranded us in Ellensburg. I am so thankful that we ended up at the Best Western. The staff are amazing and took great care of us. I recommend this hotel to all my friends and family for business or pleasure they have what you need!
While on my business trip, my husband recommended that I stay at that particular hotel because he had a great experience there. Upon arrival, there were fresh baked cookies in the lobby and the sweetest hotel receptionist who was very helpful and informative about the area. The rooms were clean, the bed was very comfortable. Also, this hotel is within walking distance to The Roadhouse restaurant, as in they are right next door to each other (with a large pond between) and a sidewalk connects them.
Very clean and comfortable rooms. The Hotel staff are nice and very helpful. Good breakfast with a good selection . We come to town often to see our son at CWU. Very convenient to the college. High speed internet works great.
This hotel was the nicest in every way during a recent trip. Great location, friendly & efficient staff at check-in, check-out. Awesome breakfast, excellent clean, updated & comfortable room. We were travelling with a small dog as well & pet fees were very reasonable.
We stayed at this hotel on a quick trip to WA for my son's CWU admission audition. It is conveniently located and was perfect for our needs! They even upgraded our room at no extra cost! A great price for a very clean, quiet and comfortable room.
Very clean, pretty new hotel. The double-queen mini-suites are spacious compared to a normal hotel room, having an extra sitting area. Pool and exercise room are open 24hrs. Basic hotel breakfast in a clean dining room. Super helpful desk staff. Great for an family overnight if you're visiting CWU or just passing through. Plenty of fast food within a block and some really good restaurants within a mile (try the Ellensburg Pasta Company).
Stayed here on a weekend trip with the kids, had a great stay, nice newer hotel close to the freeway. Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Would highly recommend this property for overall value.
We stayed here for the first time on our usual trip west from Spokane. I found a great deal on the Best Western website using my AAA membership. The King mini suite was very nice! It had a small couch, desk, microwave, mini refrigerator and a small padded bench. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows! That's what I usually look for-comfortable bed & pillows! Along with the free breakfast, there was soup, hot cider & coffee available as we checked in at 5:30. The check in was easy and very friendly person behind the desk! Only minor negative is the dresser/microwave/refrigerator should have been where the desk was as it was hard to watch the TV from the couch.
Best hotel in the area to stay in for travel, recreation or visiting family. The amenities are great and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you are having a great stay. There is lots to do in the area and lots to see.
My father and I stayed here, as we were on a college visit. The hotel was decently close just about everything in the town. The room was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable with nice pillow options, and the breakfast was great the next morning. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
This is our favorite hotel in Ellensburg. The staff are friendly, and the rooms are big, comfortable and quiet. Free parking and free breakfast make this convenient when traveling to eastern Wa. Easy on and off from I-90. Highly recommend
Always stay there when in Ellensburg. Very convenient to Interstate yet quiet and close to a good restaurant. Easy access to Interstate when departing for other destinations. Staff friendly and courteous and cookies good too.
I stayed here for thanksgiving, while visiting friends with a full house. They had recommended. Huge king size bed, sofa, desk, tons of towel, generosity is nice. So clean, staff so pleasant, reasonable rates. . Professional staff. Very nice room. By all means, enjoy a visi here!
I just wanted to Stay at this Best Western for just one Night and continue my journey, but towards the end of my stay just wanted to stay for a week and explore what the town needs to offer. Great staff, great rooms, great breakfast. The speedy check out was a success. They print out your invoice and sneak it into your room from the bottom of the door at 3:00 am. When your family is ready to check out, you just dial "0" to contact the front desk and let them know you are leaving. Not only did the room seemed clean they looked brand new. It was a big comfortable room with high ceilings. This room was worth a lot more than wha I payed for.
Room was clean Bed was a little soft but comfortable . Very good towels . Breakfast was good lady keep the food very neat and clean wiping up after people Coffee was very good and hot for a change . It would be nice if they had a few more handy cap parking spaces
Thank you. The front desk check in staff were pleasant. The entrance and pool looked nice. The fitness room was great. The breakfast in the morning was good - they had scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, milk, bacon, fresh toppings, waffles, etc. The mini-suite king room was comfortable and quiet. The beds were comfy with plenty of pillows to pick from. The breakfast lady was pleasant. We had a 5 month old baby with us, and all was good.
Love this Hotel So clean & pleasant staff. Welcoming for my little dog as well, pet rooms are nice & always try to get me close to exit door so makes it nice for taking my dog out. Like the Express checkout as well & the 24 hour pool is awesome & unique.
Newly refurbished rooms. Very clean sheets, bedroom and comfortable beds. Went here with kids and they had a pool which was great. We didn't use it but will keep in mind for next time. The only disappointing thing was breakfast which was definitely sub standard.
Very reasonable rate . The mini suite was very nice. The staff was great . The appearance of the hotel was perfect inside and out. My wife and I really enjoyed the full hot breakfast as well. I would recommend this Best Western to anyone.
Rooms are updated, nice. Stayed on the third floor, very quit. This location has a nice looking indoor pool. The staff was very helpful. Cookie's are always a plus. Breakfast was the normal stuff, scrabbled eggs a little dry. All in a good stay. :)
Second time at this hotel. Rooms are clean and large. Staff is always friendly. Rates are reasonable. When I go to Ellensburg this is my go to hotel. Breakfast was good. (I don't eat at the complimentary breakfasts) but my child loved it, and the coffee was hot.
Surprised & pleased at the size & comfort feel of the mini-king suite. The hotel is nice, safe & has very home style feeling. I've learned that you always get the same level of quality at any Best Western styled hotel. Hotel is off the main hwy so I had a very quiet and restful stay. Very pleased!
Great place to stay, clean, great pool and good breakfast. My family and I always enjoy Best Western for it's level of service. And my wife and kids love the clean environment. Wonderful and recommended to all who may be looking for a place to stay in Ellensburg.
From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. This is the way a hotel stay should be. Room was ready on time and it was very clean. The beds were comfortable and with plenty of room. We stayed in a junior 2 queen suite which also included a sofa. This allowed for night owls to stay up while those of us who wanted to sleep a chance to do so. The breakfast in the morning was the typical fare but was very fresh and well presented. Plenty of seating too. After a long day at CWU's Open House we came back to warm cookies. Yum!!! Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to food, coffee, gas and a movie theater. Short trip to CWU and downtown. Local free bus service too. An A+ stay. We will be returning.
My regular hotel in Ellensburg was full, so I decided to try the Best Western Plus. I'm glad I did. Though I was there only one night and did not use the pool or fitness room, they both look very well maintained. The mini-king suite is very nice, with a sitting area love seat a little off-set from the bed, and it was all very spacious. Check in was good, and I will definitely consider staying again. All the staff was pleasant, and the room was very clean. The hotel was nice and quiet inside.
I have to say... great stay again! We brought our dogs again and the hotel staff was very helpful with room placement close to the exit! Breakfast is always great with well stocked choices! Look forward to staying again!
Our room was clean and welcoming and the employees were very friendly during our stay. The breakfast was quite impressive with many options. We requested a late checkout and this was given to us without an issue.
The bedrooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The pool was great and the towels are nice. Breakfast is good--I would have given 5 starts except for their waste practices--lots of little plastic shampoo bottles, and compostable plates for food that are not being composted. Lots of trash. I know Best Western could do better with that.
Our experience was very good at this hotel. We were greeted with a smile and fresh chocolate cookies. This is a typical Best Western, so that made it clean, a great bed and a breakfast buffet. We would stay here again and will recommend it to others
As my wife and I were driving toward Ellensburg, WA. I realized we had not received the customary "looking forward to your upcoming stay" email. We realized we had made the reservation for the wrong weekend. We called the hotel immediately. Alex at the front desk was our savior. He worked hard to fit us in for Friday night and was able to keep the corporate rate I originally booked under. Thanks Alex!!! We had dinner that night at the RoadHouse next door. Good. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. Would recommend!!!
This hotel was conveniently located for us with access to bike paths going towards the Iron Horse Trail and only 5 miles to the Manastash Ridge trailhead. The interior of the hotel was very nice and also quiet. But it is very close to the train tracks and you do hear the train whistles even at night. We stayed on the 3rd floor but if I did it again, I would stay on the 1st floor in a king room. That way the other buildings would block noise from both the trains and I90. We were fine the 2nd night with ear plugs. The fitness centre is nice with new equipment and TVs that work. I used the treadmill and my husband used the exercise bike, which he said was of good quality. We didn't get to use the pool. Our room was very nice except the TV was awkwardly placed across from the bed and not that viewable from the sofa. My only complaint about this hotel is the breakfast. It was awful. There was no tropical fruit or berries, just apples, oranges and bananas. I thought the crock pot would be full of oatmeal but it was gravy. Who eats gravy for breakfast? I did make myself an instant oatmeal which was OK. The bread turns into cardboard when toasted. How hard is it to buy Dave's organic 21 grain bread that tastes delicious fresh or toasted? My husband says the scrambled eggs were watery. And in a 'Plus' inn, I would expect real cutlery and plates, mugs, etc instead of paper plates and plastic. This hotel does not recycle so all that stuff goes into the garbage. I think they could do better. Service at the front desk was very friendly and competent. Thanks for that. Not sure if we'll be back to Ellensburg but I think most people would like this hotel.
Good place in Ellensburg. Has all the basics good Internet decent breakfast comfortable rooms pleasant staff. I also think the location is good. When I was there the check in was pretty delayed due to computer problems but hopefully they have resolved that by now.
I have stayed at this hotel many many times with a student at CWU. I have never been disappointed. The staff is nice, rooms are always clean, the hot tub are a nice way to unwind from the day's events, and breakfast is a nice way to kick the day off on a good foot. I don't normally stay at Best Westerns but wouldn't consider another hotel in Ellensburg.
I moved to the Best Western as I couldn't stay at a local hotel that used strong chemical sprays daily and no room ventilation. I paid much less when I moved to the Best Western 10 minutes after a room opened. It was a busy weekend in Ellensburg and most hotels were booked. The BW was CLEAN, no chemical/fragrant scent and the bed and bedding was clean and very comfortable. The staff was outstanding! Anyone with chemical sensitivity could stay at this hotel without health issues. It was a real find and I booked for the same 4 days next year. Whenever I stay in Ellensburg, I will definitely stay at the BWPlus. Additionally, the breakfast had a wide variety of foods that worked for me (GF, dairy free) and that was an extra plus.
On a trip for an organization I volunteer for and they booked us @ the Ellensburg Best Western. The rooms were spacious and very nice. The breakfast was filling. Other reviews say there are cookies, but never saw any in the evening I was there. Very nice hotel.
After driving from the Moses Lake area, for a meeting in Tacoma, my wife suggested we stay at the Best Western in Ellensburg, instead of driving all the way home. Wonderful bed, great shower, and a super breakfast.
Stay here if you have a dog. Good walking places nearby. This BW has a higher price point than I'd like, but it is very nice. The breakfast is just fine, staff are friendly and responsive to needs. There is an indoor pool and a small, new fitness room. I think this BW is the best of the hotels in the area near I-90 in Ellensburg. You can walk up the main drag for food, libations, etc. You can even walk up to the Central WA University campus if you want.
For the price and location- you can't lose. I stayed at a hotel in a similar location, and it was awful. Best Western was so clean, and the counter/staff was so helpful- they even helped me sign up for the rewards program so that I could receive the $20 off promotion. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, fresh start to their morning following their night stay.
If you are traveling this Best Western is right off the highway which makes it easy in the morning. They have a nice breakfast selection. There is a pool. The beds are comfy. I like the friendliness of the workers. They try their best to be helpful. Central Washington University is in Ellensburg. It would make a nice stroll. The down area has been revamped and you will find anything you want plus. A nice small town. I would recomend.
This is a fabulous motel. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. The price listed here must be wrong as we got a great deal. We stopped late as we could not drive much longer as the smoke was very bad. The rooms smelled great as there was none of that tacky Frebreeze odor which makes me sick with asthma and migraine. The beds were wonderful and we got a great night's sleep.
This is honestly one of the better hotels I've stayed at this year. Everything from the person at check-in to the cleanliness of the grounds to the attention to detail in my room was top notch. Even the breakfast room was spotless and well stocked. I never knew you could get this type of experience at what I thought was a "lower end chain hotel". My opinion is certainly changed!!
Nice facilities, quiet location for Ellensburg. Good service, breakfast should be extended to 10 AM. KONNB s,mlJJSA..A'L['AC,AD.MALSDJLajsldn/qw.,;island.a,mDS;LJkhdsamAWD/Kaljsdkjahf';;lsjclahDFLKJ;asjdkahDF
Our rating of this BW is positive with one caveat: the smokers need to be moved farther away from the rear entrance. Having to walk through the cloud of smoke to get to the handicap room near the rear entrance was not acceptable.
Seriously. Very clean, very comfortable, plenty of towels, and the facility was lovely. I was en route from one of the top 20 spas in the nation, and this room experience was better. Breakfast was average but diverse, and it was easy access for cars but would require a drive into the downtown core.
Very clean & pet friendly. Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Only drawbacks were a very slow draining shower & the trains blowing their horn multiple times while going by in the middle of the night.
I really like this place I stay there often when I visit my son who attends CWU. My room is always clean and the guy at the check in counter is phenomenal! He is always welcome to my special requests or accommodations and he is very helpful with his knowledge of the area. The evening cookies are a special treat the only suggestion I would give is to provide milk with the cookies!! The pool and hot tub are well kept and enjoyable. I would recommend this motel over others in the area, I have stayed at each of them.
This is a recently updated, clean, quiet location in Ellensburg. Easy access from and to I-90 and the freshly baked cookies are a very nice touch. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful.
Front desk employees are knowledgeable of the area ,friendly and if you have previously stayed there - remember you. Special mention for Dave Spring, Cameron, David Snyder, James at Front Desk and also Elizabeth (kitchen and Housekeeping) Tammy (Housekeeping) great team.
Every one on staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed visiting with the lady setting up breakfast. Our room was clean and so was the hotel. Our grandkids felt at home and loved the pool. We enjoyed meeting people from other states.
Great customer service by employees on site. Room was ready early as requested and was stocked full of exactly what we needed. Great location and easy on-off highway access. We would recommend this location.
The Good: Very clean room, clean hotel, quiet and nice bed. Breakfast was decent with sausage, scrambled eggs, breads and toaster, yogurts, some fruit and cereals. The bad: Just a couple of minor gripes; the remote was slow to change channels and you had to keep an eye on one side of the toaster or it burned your toast. The ugly: My burnt toast.
My husband and I made reservations for August 26. Due to a traveling problem, we changed it to the 25 instead and cancelled the night of the 26th immediately! We were assured that it would show up on our credit card within two weeks. Unfortunately for us, the hotel would not give us credit for the cancellation on the 26th, and we were charged $153.00 for that night even though we did not stay there!! We have talked to the hotel several times and have asked our credit card company to refute the charges. This situation has really soured our opinion of this Best Western. We feel like a competent manager would have checked into this matter and contacted us. Be aware of a scamming hotel if you stay there! Vicki Allen
Room was nice except bath mat was ripped. It looked like a rag bag member. Was surprised because BW Plus is usually a primo place to stay. Room very nice. Did not like price. Have stayed at other BW Plus properties and this one was very high. Would not stay here again die to excessive cost.
The service was excellent. The room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. Lots of breakfast options available. Don't rely on your GPS to get you there. Apparently I'm not the only one sent on a wild goose chase.
One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Suite was beautiful. Quiet and clean. Great clean breakfast room with cheerful attendant and great food. Efficient front desk personnel. Wish I had time for a longer stay.
BW Ellensburg provides great rates for our regional team and co-workers who regularly come to town. This is a clean hotel with very nice staff. It's also conveniently located next to the Roadhouse and other eating establishments.
The hotel is the most comfortable place to stay and great breakfast. The location is close to family so it is very convenient. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable for us and the children.
The staff was wonderful! And the rooms were very very clean! I will defiantly be back. I enjoyed having a free breakfast in the morning and I liked the fact that lots of the amenities were open 24 hours!
I like the Holiday Inn Express a whole lot better. This hotel needs some upgrades, paint & has a small dining space. Not great great for the price they charge, and they charge higher depending upon supply and demand. :(
The place to stay when you're in Ellensburg! They have great beds, friendly staff and a great breakfast! Oh and did I forget to mention the warm cookies when you come back in the evening. It is always my first choice!
Once again we had a great stay. Tim and David are fantastic and always willing to go the extra mile for us. We almost always need late checkout due to the nature of our trip and they have never failed
The room was nice and big and seemed to be updated. No complaints from me. I would stay here again if something in the area came up for us to come check out. The pool was nice to have for the kids too.
Clean and neat and very comfortable bed. Service was pleasant. We called to see if any rooms were available as it was late in the day and were happy to receive a positive answer! We were welcomed, weary travelers!
It was a very nice surprise how well put together this hotel was. The bed was comfy and the couch was as well. The shower was made for tall people with shampoo and extras that were top notch. The breakfast was good with many choices. I just wish that the open hours were a bit later during the week. We liked it so much we stayed on our way home was well.
The stay was fine. There were no problems during the stay. However, I just discovered that they charged me on two different cards! I even explicitly asked if this was going to happen paying with another card and was assured it would not!
Best Western has a standard that seems to be in place in all their Dogs are allowed in the room. yet the the room is very clean and their is no odor. I usually travel with my daughter and grandson . Best Western is our first choice . The hotel in Ellensburg is small yet has everything you need for a comfortable stay.
It has been a few months since our last stay here - were pleased to return to this location. Always clean surroundings and friendly staff. Location keeps you close to town and freeway access while still being off the beaten track.
This hotel has it all: good location in terms of access to the town and the highway, fitness center and pool, REALLY comfortable room, kind and competent staff, clean and pleasant 'dining area' with afternoon cookies and fresh fruit and teas, in addition to the breakfast. It was not inexpensive, but very good value for the price.
This is my favorite place to stay when I come into town for a music competition at the University. It is the perfect location. Just a few minutes drive to the University. There are stores, restaurants and fast food very close. The beds are comfortable, and the staff is always helpful. I'd like to give an extra shout out to David. I had arranged my reservation through Hotels.com. Unfortunately, when I needed to cancel the first night, Hotels.com was having trouble doing that without cancelling the 2nd night as well. The hotel was completely sold out, so the concern was if they cancelled both nights, they wouldn't be able to put me back in for the 2nd night. After David spoke to the Hotels.com agent on the phone, he was able to fix the reservation without me losing the 2nd night. I really appreciated his help, and was glad to meet him at the front desk when I arrived. It was nice to thank him in person!
Our room was very clean and spacious and the receptionist, David, was efficient, helpful and has a wonderful sense of humor which he shared with our group of five old friends - we decided he deserved a raise. The young woman also at the front desk was very nice too and joined in with our frivolity.
Nice stay. Staff was accommodating and helpful. We had fresh cooking peanut butter cookies waiting for our return from dinner. Had a splendid time joking with the person at the desk at our arrival. We had met him before and remembered him from a previous visit. Nice to see staff staying. Must mean something. Hope he gets a RAISE!! My friends and I come every year to make accommodation to be at the Yakima River over Labor day. We will return next year.
It's a good spot for an overnight. All the amenities you'd expect from a Best Western are on hand. Breakfast options included almond milk, a first in my experience. No restaurant or bar on the premises.
Rooms are spacious and very clean. Staff is always helpful and wonderful! We did not eat breakfast there this time, but there is a good assortment of options. We always stay at this hotel when we are in Ellensburg.
Our room was huge and very comfy. The staff was super friendly and helpful explaining the amenities and suggesting great restaurants when we asked for recommendations. Such a nice touch that coffee/juice and fruit was always available and there were fresh cookies available at check-in. Breakfast in the morning was perfect with lots of variety to please everyone. Very nice hotel---just seemed quite a bit overpriced. Not sure if it was because it was family weekend at the nearby university and many hotels were booked including this one but the price was definitely high.
Staff always please, polite, professional, friendly and courteous. We stay in pet friendly room as we have a 15 year old toy poodle (Sammy), and the room has never smelled of animal odor. David P., and Anna made us feel welcome, as they also did Sammy by petting him and talking to him (he loved the attention). David P also provided an excellent recommendation for dinner in downtown Ellensburg
Really soft bed. Loved it! Huge room. We chose this hotel because we love Best Western. It never fails and breakfast was amazing. All my favorites. We only slept but the surrounding area has lots to offer.
I had another great stay. The room is always quiet and clean. In addition, the staff was very friendly and I had a fast check in and out. Without doubt, I am definitely coming back to this hotel next time I am in town.
I have stayed in a lot of best westerns in several countries. This one just jumped to top of the list. Not only is it very clean, it has a slightly higher level of classiness that puts it above the usual Best Western. Excellent breakfast, and nice staff. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
David at the front desk was very helpful and courteous. We had 2 Boston Terriers with us so had a pet friendly room. The room was clean and very comfortable. Coffee was available around the clock in the breakfast room and hot breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again .
The staff were exceptionally friendly and ask if they could help up at every encounter even the maintenance and housekeeping staff. Breakfast was better than normal and handled most efficiently. Motel is easily accessible from I-90 with several fast food and an excellent steak house on the same block.
The front desk man was fantastic. However, our sleep was disturbed several times on both nights by the extremely loud sprinkler room machinery in the room beside us. The sudden noises severely and negatively impacted our sleep. Also, the bathtub drain backed up, filling the tub with crud during a shower, and was slow to drain.
The room is clean-nice area to get computer work done. Breakfast was okay; omelettes with some toppings. There is a restaurant close by. The lobby has fresh cookies, cider or other arm drinks. Staff are great.
It is always a great experience. I stay here often for business and appreciate the friendly service and recognition when I come to check in. The front desk staff as well as other staff are very accommodating and helpful.
Modern hotel with updated decor. Rather friendly service. Overall a good value. Convenient location. I have stayed multiple times. One of the nicer places in town to stay. Hoping more BW move towards this design.
David check us in and graciously accommodate my request. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great stay, room was clean and quiet. Nice, clean and comfortable place to stay. Bed was comfortable and the breakfast buffet has a lot to choose from and was good.
The rooms are newly renovated; the pool was beautiful; the breakfast had all kinds of slighly extra things - like fruit for waffles/diced ham, onions and cheese to put on the scrambled eggs. Staff was wonderful and quite helpful.
My family and I stayed the weekend to watch my nephew's rugby team play against BYU. We really enjoyed the wonderful hospitality, the nice pool and hot tub and the tasty cookies. The front desk staff and our housekeeper were delightful.
Its a good deal for what you get and so convenient to have breakfast ready for you when you need it. There is always a good variety of foods including biscuits and gravy! The beds are SUPER comfy!! We slept really well!
Our check in was smooth. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Freshly baked complimentary cookies left the lobby smelling wonderful and gave the kids a contented smile... but we were shocked to discover that David Paul at the front desk was responsible for every aspect of our stay and comfort from baking those cookies, to fixing refrigerators, replenishing pool towels, handling the phones, and well... everything. It must be said while at moments very busy and multitasking he maintained a welcoming demeanor and friendly smile. While he was handling everything well enough, it sure seems like a job for two.
Very clean and friendly staff, it is located off the highway so there is no truck traffic noise which is important as other hotels are near highway. Got free upgrade due to rewards membership. One of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. Very good restaurant within walking distance.
The hotel is easily located in Ellensburg and is close to the college campus as well as grocery and retail stores. Clean and quiet with a pool for the kids and a great breakfast bar available each morning.
We stayed here while our house was getting carpets cleaned. The general manager Kim was great to deal with. The front desk receptionist David was equally as great to deal with. He recommended a local restaurant and even provided a 10% off coupon. He was also very kids friendly. Rooms were clean, pool and hot tub were relaxing.
Beautiful area, great view of mountains. You can drive South towards Yakima and enjoy the scenery along the Yakima River. Hotel sits in the middle of Ellensburg with anything you want to eat. Will look forward to going back.
I just wonder why the breakfast was so skimpy. We stayed at two other BW and were served a far better meal. One had real cutlery and choices of bacon, two kinds of sausage, better eggs and potatoes. Plus, they didn't charge us $35.00 more than your motel. I am under the impression that you are over charging for you rooms and are serving an inferior meal. The room was fine and the service was very good but you really should spruce up that breakfast. compared to other BW's we have stayed in I would rate it on a scale of 1to 10 a 3.
I ended up getting stuck in Ellensburg by myself with my 3 small children after the pass closed. Not an ideal situation, but this hotel made it a little easier. The man at the front desk was so kind and helpful. I can't say enough good things about him. I wish I would have paid more attention to his name, but again, was a little overwhelmed at check in. The pool and hot tub were great, especially for the kids. I would have preferred the pool to be a little warmer though. The room was just what I expected with plenty of room for us. The beds were SUPER comfy. Breakfast was perfect too. I really enjoyed my stay overall, despite the circumstances, and would definitely stay there again.
We always stay at this property when in Ellensburg on business. It is the best one in our opinion. It is now per friendly which is a bonus as we travel with our working cattle dog. Comfortable, clean, friendly staff.
We loved the beds and all the space you get in the two queen room. We were on the top floor facing the main street and it was nice and quiet. Check in was easy and staff were super helpful finding a place to eat. We ended up walking to the restaurant right across the parking lot for dinner. Front desk gave us a coupon for 10%. Breakfast wasn't great at this hotel. The eggs were downright inedible and the chunks of ham served with breakfast were kind of full of grizzle. But the hotel was convenient to Central Washington University which we were visiting and the room was lovely. I would stay her again and perhaps just have yogurt or a bagel.
Our family went for a little weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the large, clean pool and hot tub. The rooms were clean and nice. Everybody we talked to on the staff was super nice. And breakfast was definitely above what you would expect.
The gentleman that checked me in was very nice and welcoming. Had a friendly smile that was nice to see when you walked in. The housekeepers also did a good job. Dining area was nice with a decent selection to choose from.
It's really nice especially for E-burg. And I like Ellensburg. David at the front counter is a gas. Nothing but helpful staff everywhere. Hot tub hot in the pool is warm. Breakfast ain't that bad either. Definitely recommend if you need to stay in Ellensburg. Plus there's great food all around Ellensburg and Central Washington University.
We drove up to the door without a reservation and desk clerk most friendly and accommodating. Nice large comfortable room. A good experience. Definitely adds to our comfort with staying at Best Western for 99 % of the time.
Having never stayed at a Best Western I wasn't sure what I was going to get. I was pleasantly surprised! The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was courteous and friendly. I enjoyed my time in Ellensburg!
This has been our 6th stay at this hotel. We have been pleased every time with the staff's politeness and visible attempt to be of help. During our last stay, we had with us 2 cakes for a special occasion and when we asked for the favor of having them in the hotel's refrigerator, our request was accommodated without any problems. We asked for a quiet room on the 3rd floor and we got it. After we got home, a message was waiting stating that we forgot something at the hotel. We called back and as it turns out the item was left in a different room by another guest, but the call talks to the staff's integrity. The room and bathroom were always clean and updated, the bed comfortable. We appreciated the microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast selection is very good. There is coffee, tea and fruits available in the afternoon, in addition to delicious cookies. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who stays in Ellensburg.
The team at the Best Western Plus Ellensburg could not have been better. The rooms, breakfast etc are what you expect in this level of hotel property. The difference is the people. We stayed there for about a month and got to observe the staff in many situations, they were always professional, courteous and accommodating as they had the ability to be. I wish that I could say the same for all of the guests that I observed
Hope to come again! We especially appreciated that David, Tim and the other gentleman at the front desk did their best to make our stay pleasant and allergy friendly! My Husband and I hope to use your hotel as a sort of "second honeymoon" location as we travel in Washington State throughout the coming years! We especially appreciated the affordable rates. While not the cheapest in Ellensburg, the quality of service and lovely rooms was well worth the extra cost. The first night that we stayed was for business purposes. My Husband and I decided to stay a second night to relax and spend time together.
The room was clean, the staff friendly, the breakfast absolutely wonderful with much options available, and the pool open 24 hours a day. I was extremely impressed with the entire place and will recommend this Hotel to anyone. I won't hesitate to book a room here again in the future. It was a great experience. Thank you.
Really enjoyed our room. After a very long day it was so nice to have a clean, spacious and very quiet room. The bed was super comfortable. Good breakfast as well. Will stay there again. Too tired to use the hot tub and pool.
Good clean and newer hotel. Just put in new carpet and you can smell it; if you know what I mean . Good staff and overall it's in the top 3 places to stay. Just as close as most to cwu. I here they have a great breakfast, but didn't get to enjoy it. Cookies were soft and good at check-in.
They say it is "all in the details", and this Best Western goes the extra mile to prove it! From nice and easy checkin, David made a great recommendation on a local restaurant for dinner (Ellensburg Pasta). The room look recently remodeled and very clean, with LOTS of power/USB ports! The bed was super comfy, and I had a great nights sleep. The gym is current with great equipment. I Like The PreCor Elliptical. Breakfast was nicer than most hotel buffets. Actual ham chunked up. I would absolutely stay here on my next trip,
This is a must stay location. Since there remodel it's amazing. The rooms are amazing the gym is great big pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great, service outstanding. The rooms are very clean well worth the state
Been here many times for business and it is great. Easy access, great breakfast and pool. Far enough away from interstate so it is very quiet. Lots of restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here again.
Stayed here during the Ellensburg Rodeo! Clean rooms. Good service. It did take a long time to check in, but the front staff was friendly and accommodating. Our room wasn't ready when we first arrived even though it was after check in time. I think there was a large room turn around from the previous night and someone called in sick. Shortly after we arrived it was ready and check in was quick.
Excellent hotel and staff! Great location, nice breakfast and the kids loved the cookies in the evening. There was even hot apple cider too, which was delicious. We will definitely be staying there again!
Nice room with a free breakfast in the morning. Quiet. Good restaurant right next door. Easy to find from the freeway. Best thing about this place are the people who work there. Very friendly staff from the front desk to the breakfast area.
Our room was very comfortable and very clean! Since our last stay the room had been redecorated and it was very nice. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful! Overall a great stay. We will be back!
It was a great property the decor is modern and comfortable. The Customer service was above and beyond. The night front Desk Gentlemen was so helpful. The bed was great and the room was very comfortable!
Very nice in all ways other than shower was very chintzy. Hardly enough water to wet your hair. Clean, comfy, everything worked, friendly staff. We didn't eat breakfast here, so cannot comment on that. Would definitely stay here again.
The property is clean and attractive. The rooms are large with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. When we checked-in there were free cookies at the front desk and hot apple cider in the "breakfast" room. Breakfast is included. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles and cold cereals. The staff is friendly and helpful.
We stopped at another inn but the attendant was so slow, we left and found the Best Western tucked off the main road in a quiet part of town. I knew we should have looked for a Best Western first because the service is always good and the rooms clean. We were tired from a long time away from home and a long drive, the young lady at the desk saved a room for me while I went back to the gas station to get my husband who was driving a rental truck. She was compassionate and warm, just what I needed. We arrived back at the inn and everything was ready for me to sign. Our room was Best Western fresh and the breakfast was Best Western delicious. The breakfast room is open for refreshments when you want something to drink even when there is a birthday party in the room. This was an amazing place to stay.
This hotel was an excellent value. Comfortable, spacious and a friendly staff. In addition to delicious chocolate chip cookies, there was homemade apple cider. Our family enjoyed the pool and exclaimed how it was one of the nicest hotels they had ever stayed in.
We've been staying here since we dropped out daughter off at Central WA University in Sept '13. Known quantity and good value have worked for us since. The staff have always been pleasant and helpful.
This hotel was a great choice for a little rest after a long day on the interstate. Our stay was quiet and clean. The king bed was very comfortable for a good rest. The breakfast options were ready before 6:00 a.m., so we were able to get an early start on the last leg of our trip. We plan to stay again soon at the Best Western Plus in Ellensburg, WA.
Did not have an opportunity to use many of the abundant services, pool, hot tub, breakfast, fresh cookies due to a short stay and busy schedule. Great room and pet friendly with a very nice area for your fuzzy children, I'll be back.
We were surprised how clean and well-kept the hotel is. The room looked new or new newly remodeled. The lay out of the room is very well-planned and practical. The swimming pool was nice to have during a winter trip. The fitness room had a new equipment.
Checked in to this clean and easy to find hotel. Kate at the front desk is awesome. She has a good sense of humor and is very efficient. The lobby is inviting-warm fireplace, hot cocoa bar & warm apple cider. Room was clean and quiet.
Pool open 24 hrs for late night swim. Suite was clean and comfortable. Good Value. Has a train that toots whistle but barely noticiable. Easy to get to from interstate. Centerally located and walk to steak house and other food.
I highly recommend this hotel. Location is close to Leavensworth, WA. My family and I enjoyed the amenities including the family dog. Restaurants in the area were close and food was great. Highly recommend Cornerstone Pie and its a dog friendly restaurant.
Spent a night and enjoyed it. Great staff. The breakfast was very good. They have a good, lighted pet patch and, of course, are pet friendly. Nearby to a number of restaurants, so lots of dinner choices. Great pool and loved the hot coco beside the Christmas tree.
Please see the other BW's we stayed at and you may see the opinion we offer is strictly our experience . Some kitchens were closed but no adjustments were made for the inconvenience . As well one of the BW's we stayed at we had to change our room because it was not cleaned after another client had checked out. The staff were apologetic but it does leave a certain amount of doubt in ones mind , also they mentioned something would be done in the way of a make up but nothing was done . We didn't ask or expect anything but they offered , nothing was done upon checkout .
My first impression of your hotel, was a fabulous greeting from David Paul at the front desk. He instantly made me, and my little dog, feel welcome. David Paul was informative, helpful, and gracious. He even presented me with a welcome gift. I was very impressed. The room was very nice, though the carpets were a bit dirty. I loved the location on the first floor,, with easy access to the pet area. Breakfast was good and the staff was excellent. I plan on booking another stay at this hotel, in the coming week.
The staff were so friendly& helpful! Rooms were very nice. Good breakfast & cookies! Would definitely use this facility again. Exercise room was a bonus, although itould use a 2nd treadmill. Thank you!
we broke down and had to have our truck repaired. We had them take us to the Ellensburg Best Western Plus and it was nice and clean with a good breakfast the next morning. Very courteous people. Fresh coffee and hot cookies in the evening. A good restaurant close by.
Staying here was one of the better hotels I've stayed at. Always being gone for work makes it nice to have a comfy place to lay my head. Not much of a fan of the breakfast but not the worst I've had. Next time I'm in ellensburg I'll be back
Very few times have I found a hotel where everything fell nicely with my expectations. I'm happy to say this hotel is one of these few. Bed was comfortable and clean, TV signal great, WIFI speed good enough, water and shower flow is good, etc. etc. Only drawback for some people may be the train within 1/4 mile; for me, the sound of a train actually helps me sleep. I would definitely return to this place on a future trip.
We arrived at 8:30 in the morning and to my surprise they had a room available for us. The room was spacious clean, and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and Jacuzz. The breakfast was great, and I enjoyed the cookie snack in the evening.
I hate to start out a review with a negative comment but it fits the situation -- you simply cannot rely on GPS to locate this otherwise nice facility...it will take you into the countryside with no chance to recalculate your location. The front desk advised that other guests have experienced the same trouble I have, and it appears the hotel management doesn't seem to have fixed it. So, bad form! My check-in was pleasant and I was told I had a non-smoking, no pets room. Unfortunately, upon locating the room the adjacent guest room opened and out came a dog with its owner. After going back to the front desk to reconfirm I was in a "no pets" room (which I was assured to be true) I still wondered if that were true...I'm very sensitive to pet rooms and found that I had a reaction to something in the room. Cleaning chemicals? Or pet odors? I'm not sure. I need to add here that I'm hardly a hypochondriac and normally don't make a big deal about this sort of thing. Still... Otherwise, the room was nice, the breakfast room though small was adequate and there was ample parking in their parking lot with doorways at the end of the building making it more convenient to come in and out. I would stay here again but I suppose I'd be asking myself whether it was a pet room or the GPS had been fixed.
The presentation of the hotel is well kept. The staff is pleasant and nice. Our room was very clean, normally my wife gets a stuffy nose in hotel rooms, because of the dust, but she didn't have that this trip. The train horn was a little annoying and woke me up, but other than that it was an enjoyable stay.
As always, come for late check in and get worst room. A room like I was given should not be used at all without deep discount. Room was too close to elevator with floodlight pointed straight at window from one floor down. This flood light served no purpose other than light up outside of hotel. No blackout curtain was installed, just white on white curtain that was not thick enough to block all light.
Great place to stay. We always have small children with us, however, and the pool ls about 5 degrees too cool for comfort for them. Wish you could make it warmer. Otherwise, the rooms are comfortable and clean and quiet.
we stayed here on our travels through Washington. we didn't have a reservation but the desk clerk was very happy to help us and very friendly. the hotel is very clean and has an attractive lobby. the rooms are nice and clean, and smell good. the desk clerk was very knowledgeable of the area and recommended a great restaurant. the breakfast was adequate to help us start the day. would stay again.
Clean rooms, good breakfast, caring kind staff. Rooms are very comfortable the bed was wonderful. Good location close to I - 90. Also close to good places to eat. You can also bring your dog, there are specific floors for dogs.
They allow dogs on the first floor and sometimes on the second so we were put on the top, 3rd floor, last room at the back. This was good as the train track is nearby and the back rooms are slightly quieter. Very clean, staff was considerate and helpful. It sits between a train track and a storage unit yard so the view is terrible but the bed was comfy and the room was very clean. I can't speak about the breakfast as we chose to eat elsewhere, but the dining area was packed. The pool area also looked inviting, too bad I didn't think to bring a suit.
Solid Hotel. Probably the best in Ellensburg, WA. David at the front desk is great. aldkfjal;sdfas;lkfdja;lfjka;lkdfa;lkjdal;kdjfal;ksfalk;dsflkajfalksjfladjsf;lkajfdl;kafl;dkjfal;kdsjl;aksjalkjdhfa;lkdfj;alksdj;a
Nice location near I90. Clean, comfortable rooms. Close to shopping and restaurants. Polite, friendly staff. Very robust continental breakfast. Great pool for kids and family. We will definitely be back again!
Extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff that guided us to an historic and good restaurant for dinner. The hotel breakfast was very good, although the breakfast room was really hot. The king room was good, although the bed was really high and a bit of a challenge. Everything was clean. A good place to stay in Ellensburg.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. It is by railroad tracks, but with the window shut you can't hear anything. This was a very relaxing stay at the end of a busy day. The breakfast was good and filling. The front desk staff was extremely accommodating and committed to me having an excellent experience.
Will stay there again on trips through on the way to visit family. All motels/hotels should be this fine. Excellent access from interstate and then to journey downtown. Staff is truly friendly and accessible. Clean and comfortable and welcoming.
Small towns have very little variety in hotel accommodations so it was wonderful to find the Best Western in Ellensberg, WA. Nice people, great property and comfortable and well serviced guest rooms. I would recommend this property to others who are traveling and staying in Ellensberg.
Passing through on our way to Seattle and stayed the night very comfortable bed and a good breakfast in the morning . I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a good night sleep. Very pleasant staff
Excellent choice while staying in Ellensburg visiting friends. Convenient location in quiet neighborhood and close to other sights, museum, Central Washington Univeristy, library. Easy access to the interstate highway.
Clean, comfortable and one of the friendliest and most helpful staffs that I've dealt with in a long time. Breakfast wasn't the greatest but we chose to experience the local fair instead. The staff made great recommendations for dinner options and made sure we were happy with his suggestions. Very friendly! Great job. Wish all hotels good be this customer oriented!
Very impressed with this hotel. The bed was beyond comfortable and the entire hotel was very clean. The best was David the front desk person in the evening. He was very personable, helpful and organized. I will definitely stay here again. The only negative was the breakfast - cold scrambled eggs, over-ripe bananas and dried out biscuits.
David greeted us with enthusiasm and exceptional hospitality. The room was large and the beds were wonderful. We had two queen beds, it would have been nicer to have the room split with the beds as after the restroom, and the couch and coffee table more towards the window. (Limited space between the one bed and the window area). After 9pm no kids in the pool or hot tub which made it even more relaxing. You do here the trains, but I didn't really notice them in the middle of the night....might have been because I was resting so well.
The staff at this hotel are very friendly and truly make you feel welcomed and as though you were coming home for a visit. The hotel is very clean and beds are super comfortable. I would stay here every time I come to the area and would recommend staying here, the service you will receive is far above other properties in the area.
We've stayed at this hotel on two occasions. Each time we had a pleasant room with an alcove that had a little sofa and coffee table, a small fridge and microwave. Beds were comfortable, staff pleasant, internet access good, breakfast good by general moderately priced hotel standards.
David at the front desk made my night. After a long day of work David was so welcoming and friendly. I stay in hotels 3 to 4 nights a week on business trips and have yet to receive his level of customer service. I work for a company that strives for the highest level of customer service. In fact I train employees customer service skills. I will now use David as an example of what legendary customer service should and can be in all of my trainings. Everything was great at the hotel but David is what made it a perfect 5 stars. David keep doing what you're doing!!
Our stay at BW in Ellensberg was almost perfect. It is a nice place in every way, but, what made it even better was the staff. The greeting was friendly and he even walked out to the extended parking area with us instead of just pointing.
Very clean, comfortable & friendly. Great location with a very good restaurant next door. David was very helpful as always. I've stayed here a few times over the past few years as we go salmon fishing on the Columbia...I highly recommend this Hotel!
David at the front desk took care of us after a fiasco at a hotel down the road. Called on points booked a room super quick...time to relax in the hot tub after said fiasco...thanks David for your superior customer service...it made a difference!
We went to Ellensburg to check out CWU and stayed here. WOW...so glad we did. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special. We had a clean room, the pool was open 24/7 and the breakfast was really nice. Very clean. We will always stay here when visiting Ellensburg.
Everything was great, the only minor thing was the sink drained slow. That's something staff should check when preparing the room in my opinion. Breakfast was better than usual BW fare, by far. The jetted spa was just what we need after 300 miles on the bikes!
Enjoyed our stay, particularly the breakfast which was tasty and fresh. The hotel was conveniently located, closed enough to the highway but not noisy. The beds were comfortable. We were able to park our motorcycle close to the lobby so we could get to it easily.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk provided good customer service and they went out of their way to be helpful. The hotel provided a good breakfast with many options. We would stay again if we passed this way in the future.
This hotel is worth the drive. The service you get from the staff is one that you would expect at more excluding hotels. After one visit the staff knows your name and are incredibly friendly. Worth the extra 30 minute drive from Cle Elum to stay in the Best Western in Ellensburg.
Hotel room was very clean and bed was great BUT the AC did not work! Would not cool down room, only room temp air came out as if it was a fan not AC. Very stuffy room all evening. Very quiet room on 3rd floor.
This hotel was our chosen venue after our 10 hour flight from the UK. We arrived and felt immediately comfortable and slept well (despite all the jet lag). The bed was very comfortable. The room was spacious and clean too. The reception staff were very friendly both on check in and in the morning. Breakfast was well presented and consisted of good quality items.
I've stayed at the Ellensburg Best Western Plus before and I've enjoyed staying there which prompted me to return, very nice and clean rooms and lobby, friendly and courteous employees especially the CSA behind the counter while checking in and out, I was recognized as a diamond member immediately and thank you for that.
Great location because I just love the trains. Perfect to get to everything but you need a car. The pool is open 24/7 which is really convenient. Nice place, I really like these new Best Westerns. Thanks for the hospitality!
We stayed the night well attending the first Rocking the Rodeo concert held at the local county fair in 20 years. Room was big. Even though the entire state was smokey from a near by wildfire blowing up that day the hotel was not smokey. It was fantastic to be able to go down to use the pool and spa after we got back at 1am. Love it that the pool and fitness areas are 24hrs. I wished all hotels had them 24hrs (and no children from 10pm to 8am).
We visited the hotel when attending the Rodeo. Built on the outskirts of Ellensburgh it is easy to find off the main road. Modern hotel which is well maintained. Staff were all really helpful. Room was fairly large with sitting area, fridge and microwave. Room was very clean . Breakfast was adequate with serve your self cereals, bread juices, coffee augmented with sausage and scrambled eggs. Let down by having to use cardboard plates. At 5pm daily the supply fresh make cookies in the foyer. Plenty of parking. Overall we were very happy with the room and would use again.
Best Western Plus Ellensburg has friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast is a challenge for gluten-free folks. The hotel is a 6-10 minute drive from Central Washington University.
very helpful staff wife on crutches they acomidated above and beyond.Could not have asked for more.Good breakfast . Very clean I would be happy to return anytime.Hotel had everything we needed staff made sure to ask if anything was needed . Great job above and beyond.
Nice hotel, reasonable price even though one of their busiest times of the year. I was on a cross state bicycle ride and they accommodated my bike and checked me in early so I could get cleaned up and relax in the pool. Clean and comfortable room with good wifi connection.
If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars, I definitely would do it! It's a BW+ so it was a cut above the usual BW. Right from speaking with Dennis when I made the reservation to dealing with him several days later at check in, his service was exceptional. Check in was simple, thorough and friendly. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Beds were comfy and towels were big and fluffy. Breakfast was huge and predictable. In-room coffee is terrible but coffee in the breakfast lounge is very good. We'll definitely stay here again. The only drawback is, they do not accept cats. Dogs are OK for a $20 deposit.
My daughter and I had an unexpected need to stay the night in Ellensburg this last week. We wanted a hotel with a swimming pool, and so we chose BW. Upon arrival, we were greeted by David. He was so accommodating and helpful - I was floored. I travel a ton for work. I often stay in the likes of Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Starwood and other 5 star hotels. I can tell you that the level of service I received from David, surpassed any of my other experiences in these five star hotels. He was personable, pro-active, thoughtful, efficient, and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Ellensburg isn't exactly a destination spot for us, and I don't anticipate having a need to stay there again anytime soon - but man, the outstanding customer service we received almost makes me want to go back - just for the experience. Almost. :)
The hotel is clean, comfortable and has many amenities. But it doesn't compare to the staff. Every staff member we met made us feel like old friends that had dropped in for the weekend. We had a very enjoyable stay.
Hotel is clean, staff is friendly. Front desk has suggestions to places to eat and things to do in Ellensburg. Hot Water and coffee/tea/hot chocolate available 24 hours. Indoor pool available 24 hours. Good breakfast time and a variety of items from which to choose.
The BW in Ellensburg lived up to and beyond my expectations for Best Western Plus Hotels. It met all of my criteria for a pleasant stay, and I would definitely stay there again, if headed in that direction.
As always the ellensburg bestwestern was a great place to put family that was visiting - gave them their own space yet was close to my house - so they could come and go as they pleased - the service was great as always !
The TV set in our room did not work. The desk clerk was alone and tried to help but did not have time to find the problem. I expect better service from BW. The motel is very nice and we have stayed there before. Perhaps having a staff person to handle problems would help. The location of this motel is good and it is a nice place.
Best Western in Ellensburg is a great hotel. Excellent staff, rooms, plentiful parking. Breakfast was excellent. Best place to stay in town. Good clean and healthy atmosphere. Try their waffles are delicious. Coffee great! Cookies in evenings.
I'm an employee at another hotel and while on my road trip decided to book a room here just from what I saw online. This hotel was beautiful. The indoor pool, open 24hrs a day, was such a bonus. The hot tub had real stone inside and was the perfect way to relax at the end of a long work day followed by long drive. The room I got was worth every penny. The bed was so comfortable I had to ask what kind it was lol overall my husband and I were very impressed and may even come back just to visit Ellensburg and stay the night
The Basics: Located off the freeway, easy access, no road noise. This is a three story, modern structure. All rooms are interior access. One elevator. Indoor pool with adjacent outdoor patio. Indoor fitness room. Multiple station business center. The facility was fully booked during my two night stay, but it was surprisingly quiet. There was no adjacent outside noise. On check-in, the clerk was very busy, trying to handle multiple guests and answer the phone. She was pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, in her haste, she only coded my room key for one night's say, as she also did with four other members of my party. More on that in a moment. The room was large and comfortable. Everything was very clean. Air conditioning worked very well on a triple-digit temperature day. Lighting was good. The room included a refrigerator, digital microwave, small coffee maker, iron, ironing board, hairdryer and flat screen TV with multiple channel offerings. Black-out curtains were effective. Bedding was comfortable. Linins and towels were very clean. I could not locate the TV remote, so got a replacement. I eventually found the missing remote on the floor behind the curtains. The miscoded key caused me to return to the front desk the next day to gain access to my room. The new card did not work, so another trip to the front desk. The clerk came to the room with me and after multiple tries, got a key to work. He then returned later with a cleaning device to clean the lock. Eventually, was able to get one of two keys to work intermittently. The parking lot is small and difficult to use with larger vehicles. here is a spill-over gravel extension that will allow vehicle to turn round, but it is also used by vehicles with trailers, motorhomes, etc., so navigating the small lot can be entertaining. Breakfast service was very good with adequate selections, including eggs, hot meat, biscuits and gravy and the ubiquitous waffle maker. The dining area was very clean. Check-out was efficient.
We stayed at the Ellensburg Best Wester and were happy with our experience. It is not a fancy hotel, but it is serviceable and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel is centrally located to all things Ellensburg. No complaints!
This hotel has the most comfortable beds I have slept in! They have a choice of pillows so you can find the one that works the best for you. The breakfast is ready when you are and is varied and filling. There's also outside space if you want that as well.
We stayed in a queen suite which had a separate living room and two televisions. It was spacious and comfortable. The pool area was clean and fun for the kids. Breakfast was average to above average for a complimentary breakfast. We got a pretty good rate using AAA, especially for a suite with a separate living room. The suite included a full size refrigerator and had a two burner stove top. Dishes, etc. was provided but we didn't use them. I would definitely stay here again. We found the entire hotel to be modern and very clean.
We had a great stay. David at the front desk took great care of us. He was very kind, helpful and made everything easy for us after a long day of traveling. The room was clean and comfortable. We strongly recommend this hotel.
Room was big, pretty standard, but still was not welcoming or comfortable. Very bright light from outside shining directly through the window. Staff said they couldn't do anything, that I could complain to someone else some other time...
Another BW Plus with everything you want for a night in a hotel. Nice and efficient people, well equipped, clean and comfortable rooms, centrally located, and great breakfasts. Quick, easy check out is always a plus.
We could have pushed all the way home , but thought it better to stop , Great guy at the desk made it easy and the pool was refreshing a good night sleep and an easy ride home with the new day with little traffic made the vacation ending a lot easier
I really enjoyed my stay here. I was surprised the bed would be so luxurious. One of the friendly staff members told me that the hotel had just purchased new beds. The location was convenient after seeing a concert at The Gorge.
Great place to stay when attending a concert at the gorge. The staff was great. The room was spacious and the beds comfy. The only draw back was our room had no black out curtains and was over the lobby portico facing east. We got back to our room at 1:00am and the lights on top of the portico were shining directly into our room, at sunrise the light was blinding. It was basically like having every light on the entire time.
We stayed 3 nights as the first stop on our road trip around the north west. The hotel was perfect for us, the breakfast was very good considering it is included in the room rate and there enough to get us going for a day of exploring. The room was large with a nice sitting area and was nice and clean. The shower worked well and we were very comfortable in this Hotel. The front desk staff were friendly. We would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
Stayed 2 nights. Hotel was very clean and spacious. Kids loved the pool. We all loved David at the front desk. He is super friendly. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and made the best cookies ever.
I am a loyal Best Western customer.....however the price of this BW is just way too expensive....found similar accommodation in area for $120.00 less per night recommend traveller's shop around. BW is great at marketing.......I consider it gouging.....time to look for otherprovider
Evening desk clerk David really treats you like you are family. He even remember us after two years had past. Also, his cookies are to die for. Don't ask me why the other front desk folks can't get them as soft and wonderful as David can.
Bad odor in the room, hair stuck to the wall in the shower. Hole in wall where shower head comes out allowing the shower head to move. Overall I should be some or all of my money back because this room was horrible.
This BW Plus is one of the nicest ones I've stayed in. It's nothing really fancy, but it has a nice indoor pool, jacuzzi and gym, the breakfast was delicious and the 4pm cookies were YUM! The beds were super comfy, the shower was adequate and the hotel was nice and quiet for a good night's sleep!
We have stayed at the Best Western Ellensburg motel several times in the past year. We always enjoy the comfort of this Best Western from check-in to their express check-out. The decor is relaxing while enjoyable. Highly recommend this motel!
I love this hotel, close to CWU campus and even comes with breakfast. The rooms are up to date, clean and the beds are comfortable. If the sounds of the trains bother you (I love them) ask for a room on the back side of the tracks.
Extremely clean and very quiet! Staff very friendly and helpful. Just a little problem with the tub being clogged and not draining well but I'm sure that could be easily fixed. I greatly appreciated the front desk staff allowing me to stay in my room an extra hour past checkout time so I could finish up an important 2-hr computer conference call in the privacy of my room. They made a point in alerting the maids so they wouldn't knock on my door at the usual checkout time. That made my stay extra special and I'll definitely choose that hotel again when staying in the area.
Had a wonderful experience. I would recommend Best Western every time. Friendly and professional staff. Relaxing swimming pool. Delicious breakfast. I will definitely stay again. Overall a fabulous experience.
We stayed here for CWU'a orientation. The place is very modern and and clean. Room was big and beds were very comfortable. David checked us in and he was very pleasant, professional and helpful...made sure we knew where we were going to eat and gave us a discountt coupon...thank you David!!!!!
Excellent place to stay!! If you have to stay in Ellensburg, this is the place!!! The rooms are comfortable. I like having a couch and a bed as well as a good desk with a recharging station for my tech stuff.
Very nice room, large, very clean but the closet door was broken. The continental breakfast was simply ordinary and there was a loud compressor type thing that kept coming on and waking us up. Overall I'd say this is a decent place to stay with a very friendly, helpful staff.
Very comfortable room. great breakfast. Lots to choose from. very friendly staff with lots of information about the town. Walking distance to many restaurants. Close to shopping and grocery stores. Would stay here again.
The curtains in the room didn't work well and there were bright lights pouring into the room all night. It makes it hard to sleep when it looks like daylight is peeking in. the need better curtains to keep out light.
We stay here when we travel to Ellensburg. On this trip we got upgraded to a two room suite with a full kitchen which was really nice. They have a good included breakfast with fresh waffles and eggs and during the day have fresh hot cookies. The kids also enjoy swimming in the nice indoor pool. Its only minutes from CWU and downtown.
I stay at BW on all my business trips because they reliably provide: * comfortable bed * hearty, hot breakfast * fitness center to help me recover from stress and long drives * responsive, friendly service and nice décor
Having been a last minute stop on our trip home I could not have asked for a better place to stay. The staff was very friendly and had no problem finding us a room quickly so that we could get our son out of his car seat. Much better than trying to cross back over the mountain with all the traffic.
I could not believe the quality and customer care we got for the price we paid. It was the best choice we made to turn around and stay the night in Ellensburg instead of fighting with the hours worth of traffic to get back over the pass.
especially compared to the Quality Inn and suites in Missoula the previous night. This was twice the room for the same price. Even had a couch. You have to be careful with the Best Western brand. The plain old Best Westerns are usually pretty dowdy, but add "Plus" to te name and you usually get a pretty good place. This is no exception. Breakfast was kind of spotty and the attendant couldn't manage to keep the food flowing. We were one of the first ones to breakfast and it was already empty. The gal took her own sweet time replenishing. That was the only downside to an otherwise pleasant stay.
We have stayed here numerous times when dropping off/picking up/visiting our daughter at CWU. BReakfast is consistently decent and the rooms are clean & comfortable. Pool & spa are nice, though being indoors, it can get a little loud when there are kids playing.
Clean, comfortable and modern best western hotel in ellensburg. Very friendly reception staff and a good complimentary breakfast. We made the mistake of leaving a window open as the trains hooting as they pass in the middle of night are very loud!
The room was clean and comfortable. The management answered all my questions. I will be glad to return another time. They were very accepting for pets to stay. The breakfast was tasty and included almond milk which helps us because of a vegan diet.
Once again, Best Western was a refuge. We had been travelling and camping for days, and both thought the other had made a hotel reservation. BW had a room. Hooray! Clean, warm, and available. We will always return.
Always stay at Best Western. Clean and pleasant. Although in Ellensburg there is an occasional train in the middle of night. The rest of the experience is great. Close to the college for parents weekend and has a pool for escape.
This property is just far enough off the main street to be quiet while still within an easy drive to Fred Meyer and places to eat. The room was comfortable with a king bed and a sofa; there's a microwave and good sized fridge. Nice TV; no DVD player. Disposable cups and "glasses". Coffee maker; not a Keurig. I will stay here again next time I have to travel to Eastern Washington.
We were in town for our daughter's college graduation. The staff at the BW was very accommodating of my extra needs as I coordinated a grad party and needed to get party supplies to other family members who were not guests of the hotel. I highly recommend the Ellensburg BW for your travel needs.
Staff was wonderful they were so friendly and helpful. Leona at the front desk was an absolute sweetheart. Rooms are very clean the beds are comfy. The breakfast is better than other hotels that offer free breakfast.
This was a very nice experience and we enjoyed our stay. We were visiting our daughter and didn't realize it was graduation weekend. The hotel was full but was very quiet and we were not aware it was full.
Everything was nice and clean. Room was in good working order. The hotel was off of the main roads and was quiet. Within walking distance of fast food or sit down restaurants and had a good breakfast.
Very comfortable. Great breakfast in the morning. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I stay here often since my daughter goes to CWU and they even help out with an additional discount on the room. The pool and hot tub are open 24 hours so relaxing is not cut short EVER. I will be back and recommend this hotel to anyone staying the Ellensburg area.
Besides this being a very nice property and having all the great amenities you'd expect, the staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. Very polite and helpful. After checking in they shared dining suggestions of the local area. When the kids said they wanted to swim, the staff offered swim goggles they could use. Very helpful.
We were here for a dog show and they had a very clean and great area to potty dogs. Great staff. Building and surrounding area very clean. I definitely will stay at this hotel anytime in the area.Nice breakfast and kept very clean.
This is a clean hotel with excellent staff. Also, it's a great value. We always stay here when we are in the Kittitas Valley. I wish i could reproduce it in larger cities. i had similar lodging (though more chaos) in New York at 3 times the price.
We were on vacation from Montana. Had lived in Ellensburg before but never stayed at this hotel. We loved the amenities! Who doesn't like a 24 hr pool and hot tub! Clean rooms and great staff. We new we were going to enjoy our stay from the time we checked in!
The staff seemed to be more welcoming than the previous owners but we had another ad experience here. Our check in was above expectation but x check out was way below. No one was at the desk upon check out but I can hear the staff in the back talking about their plans for the Memorial Day weekend. I rang the bell once and the talking continued. Waited then ran it a couple times and an angry employee came out almost to say why did you have to ring that more than once look on her face. When I told her I was just wanting to check out, she softened up and checked me out properly. Our room smelled like mildew so I asked for a replacement for the shower curtain and that came immediately, but that also smelled, but not as bad. Obviously the housekeeping staff can't tell the difference and they don't bleach those liners. The room smelled stale and musty. Even had a patch of rug cut out and another piece glued into the spot and fraying badly. The bathroom sink was very slow draining and filled up when we just washed our hands. I feel that the new ownership started out with good intentions but are dally short on maintenance, quality of housekeeping staff and professionalism of the front desk staff.
Had a great time as always. The staff are always professional and courteous. The rooms are clean and well maintained. We will stay here again next time. We have stayed at BW Pluses on several occasions now and plan to in the future.
Excellent, friendly staff who greeted us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed. Room was large and well maintained. Good location near the freeway and restaurants. Also close to the Ellensburg downtown area.
The room needs better toilet paper. The powdered eggs for breakfast are less than desirable and the sausage was cold. Otherwise it was a nice place. I did like that there was 24hr coffee and juice. The staff was very friendly.
Very nice hotel. Good suite with comfortable bed. Breakfast was standard fair served in spacious room. Price was very good making this an excellent value. Staff were helpful. Hotel near highway and not far from downtown Ellensburg.
Great place, but book 3rd floor to avoid lights and HVAC on 2nd floor roof, or book even numbered on second floor, or your view may be flood lights or air conditioners. Rm 207 and 207 are right beside the elevator (can be good or bad, depending) Other than that, very much a great place. I'll stay there again.
We have submitted numerous reports for this specific Best Western location. For years we have been staying here and the consistency is most appreciated. Staff members across the board are gracious, professional and eager to make your stay most enjoyable. they have knowledge of the local area thus making it easy to provide suggestions as to where to eat, what to do, etc.
First, let me start by saying that my stay was perfectly acceptable, and my critiques should not be read into too harshly. I worked in the industry for years and have high expectations. The best part of my stay was my interactions with staff. The front desk agent that checked me in was fabulous. He was so warm and welcoming. He built a great rapport with me from the start and was so thoughtful about my stay details and welcoming me to Ellensburg. He gave me a fantastic rundown of area restaurants, including his personal suggestions. Other hotel staff that I interacted with were equally professional and caring. I had some problems with the internet during my stay and the AM manager remembered me and asked to make sure it was taken care of upon seeing me later. That was a very appreciated gesture and it felt genuine. Overall, the hotel facility is completely average. It could benefit from a few select and targeted investments. The decor of the hotel feels dated, and does not match with the rebranding of Best Western (for example, they have a nice new sign with an updated logo, but a rather outdated and not-so-tasteful interior). The breakfast room is large and can accommodate crowds, but a redesign of the buffet flow would help it work better in the morning. The food was okay...I appreciated the fresh scrambled eggs and toppings, as well as the bacon and sausage. However, I was there for 4 mornings, and it was the same food each day which got a bit boring. That said, it was included in the room price which I am happy about. The water spout on their juice machine needs to be recalibrated, it is too high powered and spits water out of your cup and onto the floor. Like most hotels, their pastries are mass-produced and from a box, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but they need to buy a higher-quality product. I definitely appreciate the free newspapers in the morning. The room was acceptably clean, although the housekeeping staff failed to pay attention to details (some things, like small hairs here and there would be considered unacceptable at a large inner city hotel). I am not a germ-a-phobe so this is a minor issue for me, but it may be a huge deal to others. The bed and pillows were quite comfortable. I did not like the curtain that covers the closet opening. I would prefer a door or nothing. I used their fitness facility every night, and this was one of the bigger problems during my stay. It is literally no bigger than a small bedroom, maybe 10x12. They have a paltry amount of equipment, but because the room is so small, the machines are extremely crowded and this presents a major hazard. There is not enough space between each of the machines, or between the machines and the mirrors (another safety hazard). Their weight system is downright poor. There is no room to stretch or frankly even step away from the equipment. There is no trash can (so therefore nothing to throw away the cleaning wipes). As a risk manager, I would suggest that management get an audit of their fitness center done right away and make suggested changes before a major accident, and therefore lawsuit, happens. I took my risk and worked out anyway, luckily, I was the only user during the times I was there. Also, I consistently had internet issues while I was there. Their WiFi is very finicky and will randomly kick you off. When trying to reconnect, it was very temperamental and I actually had to call the help desk. Luckily, they were able to resolve the issue and give me a tip on how to reconnect efficiently. Once I knew how to do this, it was less of a problem. However, I was there for work, and was extremely frustrated on having internet issues when I had urgent emails or approaching deadlines. If you MUST have reliable internet during your stay, think twice before booking here. In the evening, they offer warm chocolate chip cookies. They are delicious! Which is why I had to workout in the awful exercise room... Parking is free and ample. They have a bit of room in the north end of the lot for larger vehicles or trucks with trailers, however getting in and out of the lot is a narrow travel lane. Otherwise, the hotel is within easy walking distance to a couple of good restaurants. It is located on the south end of town, near the main drag (but not on it). It is about 4 minutes to get to the interstate (as long as you miss the train crossing). One small note, they have a small wetland on the north end of the property that was filled with frogs and birds. It was super peaceful to walk over there and listen to the chorus of the evening frogs and do some bird spotting. A nice touch for sure. All in all, the value was good (I felt the room rate was very reasonable), but I would probably choose a competitor if the room rate was similar.
Loved our stay. Front desk person was VERY nice and friendly to me and my family. Also, having the pool stay open for 24 hours was awesome. My kids enjoyed that. Although we didn't see any towels at midnight.
My wife and I left hotel at 1130 pm and drove 3 hrs to our home rather than stay here. We paid extra to get upgraded suite and were placed in room next to fire sprinkler system room. A faulty very loud compressor went off every 15 min. We didn't notice until around 930 pm because we were out all day with our grandson. We were willing to ignore barking dog across the hall but the pump is right by headboard of the bed. The hotel was completely full so we drove home. Will not stay here again..
Cable and Internet was out and no room discount was offered. Outlets in bathroom not working and electric toothbrush was dead in the morning, due to outlet in bathroom not working. Couldn't fix my hair due to non functioning electrical outlets in bathroom. Now running late, no time to enjoy breakfast. Disappointing:-(
We were late getting there driving halfway across the state of Washington after work. The Front Desk was all smiles and took care of us and directed us to a great dinner nearby. Then we got to a perfect room and an awesome bed that we slept through the nite... So after a great breakfast we left thinking this was a perfect stop and we were refreshed to continue our drive to Coeur d'Alene.
When traveling to the coast to work from Kalispell Mt. I always make it to the Ellensburg Best Western Plus. I've stayed there many times and it's always clean always comfortable and I always get a Good Nights Sleep
Only in Ellensburg for a quick work trip but the room was clean, the staff was all super nice, and there's so much food provided! Arrived to fresh cookies coming out of the oven and soup, and a variety of options at breakfast. The gym area was incredibly small but thankfully I was the only one. It probably couldn't fit more than 1-2 people
Very helpful, & clean. Only place I'll stay when I go to ellensburg before college. I like how the pool is open 24-7 and continental breakfast is included in your stay which they have a big variety as well. The desk people are very helpful with attractions and places to eat.
House keeping could improve. They just made the bed. Some towels were replaced, but not all. Kind of made it seem like camping, but had the bed made. Front desk was great! This is our first choice in Ellensburg Washington.
Staff was great, pool and spa was fantastic, great location close to the University. Breakfast was OK, could have a few more options. The price for the rooms were high. Housekeeping needs to be retrained! I would probably try staying somewhere else for my next visit to Ellensburg.
Nice comfortable stay, front desks was helpful and pleasant to deal with. Near train which passed thru a couple of times with full horns but hotel has no control of that. I would recommend staying here.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The cookies were delicious, put out around 4:30 and gone by 6. The room was clean and quiet. There was a good restaurant within walking distance from the hotel.
The beds were extremely comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The continental breakfast was not much to desire, but they did provide an assortment. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are in the area.
When we entered the hotel it did not smell good. The rooms needed updating. The lighting in the room was poor but the bathroom was even worse. You could not shave or put on make-up properly it was so bad. We were there for 2 nights and they did not clean our room after the first night. The front desk had to give us clean towels. The location is near the train tracks so we heard trains go by all night.
The room was clean and confortable. The staff was helpful and provided a great daily breakfast. Easy walking distance to several fast food choices. Just a couple minute drive from Downtown and CWU campus.
Very nice and helpful staff. The room was clean and very nice. Very very comfortable bed and great pillows. Will be our hotel when visiting Ellensberg. And of course the free Breakfast was very good and saved us spending additional dollars going out for breakfast.
This is a very nice property that definitely deserves it's 3 diamond rating in AAA. The rooms are large, clean and very comfortable. All of the rooms at this property are suites and the best part is that they allow dogs. The nicest BWP we've stayed in.
Admittedly Best Western hotels are not usually my first choice. I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was clean, the pool was warm and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was more than adequate. There was even infused water in the lobby.
this is soild place to stay when you're in the area. the strength of this property is the staff. they know what they are doing and will serve you well. My biggest ding against them is the fitness room. One tread mill, one elipitical needs a bike but its not the end of the world.
Very friendly staff. Very clean and comfortable rooms. They were serving pie on Thanksgiving which was a nice touch. Quick and easy express check out. I didn't use the pool this time but my family has. I ask for the 3rd floor as I don't want to see or hear the pets on the first two floors.
As we pass the Ellensburg area we try to get stop at the Pasta Company for lunch or dinner. Now we can stop, enjoy wine and stay at the Best Western Plus for a quick swim and quiet, comfortable nights sleep. Thank you - a pleasant surprise!!
Reserved a one bedroom suite (which is needed for my insomnia so my hubby can sleep as I'm wide awake) Spoke directly to the front desk to do so. Arrived to a handicap suite (one room...no separate bedroom) went and asked for the room we reserved...she realized we ARE in the wrong room, but they don't have one we want available!!! Took off $20 and said sorry (after claiming that i called the 1-800 number to reserve and I argued that I called the actual front desk to do so, which she then once again agreed to) Said every room has a half wall between bed and couch and hopefully that will help, well NOT THE HANDICAP ROOM! Went back to the room and just couldn't do it!!! There wasn't even a bathtub, rather a roll in shower stall. Went back and was placed in a regular room. She asked if we could get our luggage to the 3rd floor by ourselves if not she'd do it. We are not handicap (both were standing right there!). Regular room? Missing tile in bathroom and a "odd stain" on couch cushion. I give up!
Loved everything about this hotel. Clean comfy rooms and great staff. Family loved the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was delish with a variety of dishes to choose from. My picky son was even pleased. Great stay!
Fantastic place to stay and the rates were fantastic. We will stay here again. Staff was friendly and very professional, Rooms were large and clean. Beds were great. Cookies were a tasty treat. Overall this was a great stay. Thank you Best Western.
Left the hotel @ 8am to take care of business. Left the 'Do Not Disturb' hang tag on the outside door handle. Came back at 10:30 to gather my belongings and check out. Housekeeping had entered the room, propped the door open and removed half of my belongings from the room. I called out in the hall for staff 'Hello, hello!!' and the staff came and very un-apologetically said 'your stuff is down at the front desk'. When asked 'Why??' her answer was 'sometimes we start early'. I pointed out the 'do not disturb' sign as well as the time. It didn't seem to register with her. I went down to the front desk and they were apologetic but didn't immediately offer any type of action or compensation. I pointed out the legalities and some of the implications of leaving a guests room open to any passerby while that room was still supposed to be safely locked. The staff at the front desk said he would credit me $25 on the bill. When I arrived home and checked my account - I found that instead he charged me an additional $80. So - now I am further inconvenienced because I have to take the time to call the accounting department and get this straightened out - and I am sure I will have to wait days or weeks while it processes through their system. I am beyond disappointed and frankly pretty angry that this happened. I was already having a less than stellar visit - the carpet between the beds was wet, the area behind the nightstand was dirty - with an old discarded chip bag and lots of thick dust - and hadn't been cleaned for quite some time. This is where we all plug in our phone or laptop chargers while we work or use our phone in bed. The shower did not drain well, or at all. The water pressure was very low and inadequate for an efficient shower. There was a mystery spill or stain in the coat closet. The bathroom was minimally clean - around the edges of the sink, floor, tub wall were all dirty. I will not stay there again. I feel that their understanding of simple minimal hotel operating expectations was terribly low and certainly the sanctity of a guests room was not respected. The fact that the hotel charged me additional money when I complained about them entering my room was a retaliatory act. For the record - I was respectful when bringing it to the attention of the front desk staff. I will be sharing this with other friends who travel as a warning. I don't have any way to rationalize their actions.
I stay at this hotel when I come to visit my son at Central Washington University. The staff has always been exceptional (will add a comment further in the review) and the amenities are more than adequate. Free wifi, business center, indoor pool, breakfast plus fresh baked cookies, along with bananas, apples, oranges and coffee/tea are available 24/7. Breakfast starts at 6 a.m. I mentioned at check-in that I would be leaving earlier than that and was told that "to go" bags would be at the counter. The only hitch was when I checked out at 3:15 the to go bags weren't out. I mentioned it and the counter staff said they normally put them out at 5am. I was cool with that, I had hoped he would have stepped up and offered to either make one up or something along those lines. That was the difference between a 4 star and a 5 star review. Nice big rooms, spotless bathroom and if you need miscellaneous toiletries they can be had gratis at the front desk! I will definitely stay again.
We Love Best Western, we only stay at Western, we take our dog, she is always welcome. The rooms are very clean and the breakfast eliminate one meal that we don't have to purchase that day. They are very reasonable as well. We'll always go back.
Clean, friendly and cheap!!!the room was well kept, the staff was very friendly! Next time we stay in Ellensburg we will be staying here! Thank you so much best western in Ellensburg , Washington! Great work
No worries if your a big Ol boy, the towels are normal size... This has to do with another post I made on another Motel in Ellensburg. The room was really nice and very roomy. Fantastic shower. Breakfast was normal for a continental. The pool look real appealing but didn't have a chance to try it out. Nice place to stay this time of year as it is priced reasonable. Beware staying there in the summer, they will try and get all your money.
The sausage at the breakfast wasn't very good, but otherwise the pool, hot tub, and rooms were clean and inviting. I loved that they had "clean remotes" for the TV's. It shows they emphasize a clean stay. It was a real pleasure to stay here.
The hotel is newer and very clean. They have a great complimentary breakfast set up with a lot of yummy choices. The staff was nice and friendly and the hotel is close to the freeway and to all the neat shops and restaurants in town. We will definitely stay again!
The staff is awesome, exceptional service from the front desk staff, David went out of his way to make us comfortable and take care of us. I will definitely stay at this hotel again! The pool area was nice and clean, room were awesome and the property is clean and quiet.
Had a great time here. The room was in perfect condition with all stated amenities. Breakfast was great. But by far my favorite part of my stay was the staff. Everyone was very friendly and helpful...noticeably more than other hotels I have stayed in. Highly recommend!!!
Convenient location and personable receptionist. Comfortably furnished rooms and nice breakfast room with nice variety foods. A great pool and exercise room. Our room was a little stuffy smelling but we were able to open a window.
Refreshing to engage with staff who really seem to enjoy their job & care about the customer. All super friendly & went above & beyond to accommodate our needs & then some. Super clean & uber comfortable beds! Unfortunate "train noise/horn" in the middle of night only down side since it woke us up a couple times since we're light sleepers.
This hotel is located close to I-90, but not so close to get road noise. The hotel is nicely decorated and the staff is helpful and kind. Nice continental breakfast, swimming pool and hot tub. Rooms are clean and super quiet.
Room was clean, breakfast was outstanding, let me park my bike under the canopy so it didn't get rained on and stellar staff. Bed was cozy and hot tub and dry sauna really appreciated after a cold, wet ride through the pass.
Comfortable room; plenty of space for couple, pet and ADA support equipment. Comfortable bed for two plus med-small doodle dog. Road noise associated with nearby export hay facility trucks not so good at 6:30 am. Great park for dog exercise within walking distance. Downtown (such as it is) eats a short drive away.
Facility is consistently clean. Recent upgrades to the lobby area, artwork on each floor, and breakfast area are a plus. Carpets were recently shampooed in all rooms and corridors. The location is just far enough from the main street for reduced road noise yet, close enough for access to freeway and sites in town.
Easy access from the highway, very friendly desk staff, clean, comfy room, nice amenities. Good wifi. Decent bed, lots of pillows. Didn't try the breakfast, but the cookies at the front desk were excellent.
You will definitely have trouble finding anyone who is more welcoming and helpful. A definite asset to the hotel. He was able to recommend a great place to eat, and even convinced me to have a warm cookie, when I was already full. Great cookies by the way
24 hour exercise room and pool for guests over 21! Friendly staff and comfortable room. The breakfast was extra filling and welcoming. We will remember this as a good site to return to when traveling through Washington.
One of the nicest best Western's I have stayed in. The young gentleman at the front desk was awesome. Very helpful with all our needs. Including change for the laundry, assistance with the computer and coupons for dinner. Great find after a long day on the road!
Driving from W.Canada to Oregon coast, made this our O/N stop. Modern clean quiet comfortable room at a great rate. Front desk staff very welcoming with great advise of dining opportunities in Ellensburg. Everyone so friendly and welcoming to guests from N of the 49th.
Great staff, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms. We have stayed here before. We will stay again. Our granddaughter is in college here. We love spending time with her. They grow up to fast. Weather was good. Windy but not to bad.
This was a Best Western Plus and I'm not really sure what the plus gives you. This was your basic hotel with a pool and a continental breakfast. Not much more than that and sits right on the train tracks. I have not stayed anywhere else in Ellensburg but might look elsewhere next time or try to get a little further out of the city... If I was to price the room we stayed in I would say it was worth 120 - 150 and not 200 per night.
We were in town for family. It was a nice, clean, and friendly quick stop. Good location near the Freeway for in and out. Not far from downtown and the college as well. We had a mini-suite and had our dog. We all fit nicely.
Great hotel. Good location close to all stores and easy access to Interstate. Only major disappointment was that a jacket I left in hotel room closet on checkout was not returned/ or found by cleaning staff and returned to hotel lost & found.
This is one of the cleanest, well run BW I have ever stayed in. The gentlemen at the front desk was phenomenal. He works so hard to make sure guests are comfortable and happy to be here.I have been staying at this particular BW for several years, and the front desk is always gracious. The pool is clean. A 5 star breakfast, coffee, cookies in afternoon. Fresh apples, oranges, pears for snacks. Whew! Lovely reception and business areas.Beautiful linens on very comfy beds. Wow. Every BW should take a lesson or two from this hotel. Thank you for a great stay!
I have always enjoyed Ellensburg and have spent many nights here in the past. The Best Western Hotel was not built when I was traveling through here. I'm glad I had a chance to stay here, if only for one night. I will happily return if the occasion arises. Two people stuck out, although I really did not get names. The General Manager was friendly and interesting. The afternoon desk attendant (Tim, I think) was good.
The beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the room looked clean, but the shower valve lever and the shower head were so stiff that my wife couldn't move them and the motel is right next to the railroad tracks; long (100+ car) trains come by every couple of hours (at most), around the clock, blowing their horns repeatedly; so if you want quiet to sleep, forget it. The “breakfast” is typical of today's motels, the worst kind of corporate packaged junk, which everyone knows is making Americans fat and sick: additives, emulsifiers, stabilizers, dyes, trans fats, high fructose corn syrup, CAFO meats, et cetera; and it tastes just like it sounds.
We stayed here during our trip through Washington and it was just perfect for us. It had a full kitchen, and very comfortable bed. The check in was very pleasant as the check out. Not terribly busy. The breakfast was good.
The hotel has easy access to I-90, pet friendly first floor with a safe area in the back to walk your pet. Close to gas station and restaurant. Room was quiet and had a microwave and refrigerator/freezer.
My husband and I stayed here for 27 nights while we waited for our ranch purchase to close escrow here. 27 nights in any hotel is eye opening. The very best thing about this Best Western is the people that run it and the people that work there. They are some of the kindest, hardest working people I have ever had the pleasure to meet. The rooms are clean and spacious, the pool & hot tub were a God send, and after 27 nights you know how often things get cleaned and so forth. It's a clean pool and hottub. Thank you Josh, David, Gina, Leanne, Alan, the gorgeous head housekeeper, and everyone else. I am having the thank you party once I take a 30 day nap. Hearts. Marguerite
Stayed overnight in Ellensburg while visiting great niece at CWU - found this hotel to be very nice for our short visit. Front desk was helpful and informative about the area (restaurant recommendation, etc); room was above average size and the king bed was great! Breakfast the next morning had all the basics - hot & cold items. Quick access to the Interstate and short drive to restaurants & the university campus. Will probably stay here the next time we are in town.
We stay here 3-4 times every Fall, because our grandson plays football at the local college. Great rooms, friendly staff, and a good breakfast before heading home on Sunday mornings. The hotel is close to all restaurants, has WiFi, but they have had an ongoing issue with their cable TV programming, so we can't get certain major channels..( Not the hotels fault), just annoying..
This hotel is such a good stay and experience for your money. The complimentary breakfast featuring hot and cold items is also so nice. I always enjoy my time at the Best Western and I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The level of service (no matter what city/state), is always uniform and exceptional.
Rated this hotel a 3 only because of the room assigned to us. Other than that I would give it a four or 4.5 for the price. If you have a choice, choose a room opposite train side of hotel. Should have thought to use room fan to help block out train sounds which most Ellensburg hotels need to deal with. The train runs right through town and this hotel is within 1/8th of a mile, has a very loud whistle, and runs every two hours all night long. In addition, avoid room 313 which has a large spotlight shining right at the room window from a rooftop a couple yards below. Hotel management said they are looking into making appropriate changes but until they do I would not recommend this room. In fact we checked in at 3 PM and wondered why we were assigned that room at all. On the positive side the rooms are clean, lovely and comfortable as is the entire hotel. The staff could not be more accommodating or friendly so it is a shame that a good nights sleep was not part of our stay. breakfast was good as well.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus Ellensburg on Thursday, September 15th. We had made reservations ahead of time. We were given a room close to the check-in desk and lobby restrooms. We requested a room on the second floor which they were very rude about our request for a change.. The room (#108) had very stained carpet near the door (pet friendly hotel- and pets are given rooms on the first floor only. Also very close to the train tracks- be aware if you are a light sleeper- the train horn will startle you at 2:30 AM. Check out process asks that you call front desk and leave the keys in the room- it would be helpful if the front desk staff seemed at least half-way friendly when answering the call.
Standard BW plus hotel on the motel strip in Ellensburg. Large room, comfortable beds, fridge and microwave all for a decent price. Breakfast included, with a good variety of hot and cold items compared to many hotel chains' "free breakfast". Good WiFi. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would stay again if in the area.
Rooms were large and clean and building fairly new. A big plus was that even though the hotel was full, we did not hear any noise. No showers, voices, etc. It was great! The staff and management were extremely friendly although they were busy, and helped us with a problem when we had double booked. On top of that, they had excellent suggestions for meals and events. I plan to visit Ellensburg frequently and will be happy to stay at this hotel!
Great place for the family. Stayed here while touring colleges with my daughters and this was very comfortable. Water pressure could have been better and eggs not so great but the rest of the food was good and the room was more than comfortable. We will stay here again if the girls decide to go to school here.
We have stayed here twice in the past year and enjoyed the convenience of the hotel when visiting or driving through Ellensburg, Washington. The rooms are mini-suites and are clean and spacious. The amenities we greatly appreciate are the fitness room, pool, free breakfast, free coffee/fruit/cookies, and free parking. Overall a very nice place to stay.
We originally planned to stay here for three nights but that got extended to five. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, as well as convenient to the Kittitas Valley Hospital. Staff was excellent. There's a pool and work out room. Breakfast was okay, but could use more in the way of fruit choices. They were unusually generous with the in-room coffee supply. Had heard that train noises could be a problem but that was minimal. Will definitely stay here again.
The desk clerk was very attentive to our needs and provided all info needed. Very grateful to the young lady. We had a corner suite with a kitchenette. After dinner we had our friends join us from an after dinner glass of wine and talk of the days events. Very relaxing evening and had a great sleep. Ready for our drive home to Ladner BC.
Our experience at the Best Western in Ellensburg was outstanding from the minute we checked in to check out. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the offer of juice and coffee, 24 hours a day. There was an excellent selection of food served for breakfast. We would definitely stay again.
We were there for the entire weekend of the Kittatas County Fair and the hotel was quiet and restful and the breakfast is great! Good place to stop when you are on a trip as well. The staff are welcoming and very accommodating to you.
The staff were amazing at this hotel, going out of their way to make you comfortable. The pool and hot tub are open all night. And the rooms were very spacious. Best room and staff of my 3 week road trip. Great for travelers with pets.
We were delighted to find this comfortable, clean, quiet spot with very friendly and helpful staff. The complimentary breakfast was easily the best we have had and we travel frequently. Indoor swimming 24/7 for travelers who need to be refreshed. Close to fast food dining as well as BBQ oriented places. Retail shopping not far away either. Well worth your consideration!
Excellent service from check in to check out. We were traveling with another couple and the front desk made sure our rooms were close enough. David at the front desk was most helpful and provided valuable information on local venues.
Occasionally I find myself tired and in need of a reliably clean and comfortable hotel in the Ellensburg area. This Best Western has been my go-to hotel for years. Staff is always attentive, the rooms are well-appointed, clean and quiet, and the Internet works very well.
I read many reviews and decided to book and so glad I did! The hotel, location, grounds, and staff were all fantastic. If I ever need to stay in Ellensburg again... This will be my Go To for all future stays.
The hotel was very nice, immaculate and the stay was very friendly, helpful and very professional. I usually stay at Best western Hotels throughout the state of Washington and this facility is by far the nicest I've stayed in.
This is a quiet hotel. We didn't use all of the services but those we did were superb. It was nice to sleep in a firm bed. We had breakfast and I loved making my own waffle. The hotel recommended the restaurant next door and it was VERY good.
Many years we have stayed here and the hotel and grounds are always well maintained. Professional employees and lots of smiles to go around. Good breakfast choices, close to a number of attractions and just a fun town to visit and explore.
I booked this hotel as I drove up -- it as a last minute decision to get out of the rain and clean up some very wet gear. I had been camping in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness and enjoyed two days of rain...and very much needed a dry place to clean up and get sorted. This hotel was perfect! Upsides: huge room with kitchen - ideal for rinsing and then laying out all my gear to dry, hot tub, make-your-own-waffles! Downsides: no cable (to watch the Olympics), runny eggs, generic setting that in parts could use a deep clean (dust in the corners!) Overall: super convenient if average
This is a lovely hotel. The room was especially nice with a little sitting area and it was so very clean. I have stayed in Best Westerns before and you cannot beat the great reputation of a great hotel. Breakfast comes with your stay and it is very good!
This Best Western was one of the best I've visited in terms of ambiance and décor. It has a very nice lobby area with a big breakfast hall serving omelets made to order, along with a truly nutritious breakfast (something commonly difficult for vegetarians to find in complimentary breakfasts). The suite was very spacious, with a private whirlpool, and we were very grateful for the complimentary bottle of sparkling cider. Most everything about this hotel was exceptional. The spirit of service, on the other hand, was noticeably lacking which was very surprising because this was always consistent throughout with Best Western. There was nothing overly wrong with the service, there was simply no spirit in it. An example is upon checking out, I was not asked how my stay was. This was disappointing because I wanted to express my gratitude for the complimentary bottle of cider and share my joy with how much we liked the suite and loved the breakfast. This was just one example of the lack of spirit of service, which we encountered from all of the staff (check-in, breakfast, check-out).
I would not stay at this hotel again. Thought it was overpriced for the location, nothing around the area but industrial. Close to the interstate so easy on and off. If there is a next time I am in the area I will travel father to find a different hotel. The breakfast area was fairly clean but not very well stocked and for the first 5 minutes or so no attendant was in the area. Slow to restock the breakfast items like the scrambled eggs and biscuits. Have to say was not at all impressed.
This was the second or third time I have stayed in this hotel and it is such a nice place. The walls are thick so you can't hear the sound of the people around you. The room was clean and spacious. We did notice that the maid forgot to change out the last persons wet towel but it was behind the door so I can understand that. Everyone at the front counter was friendly and it was a very quick check in. The pool is open 24 hours!! I have to say that I was probably the best thing about our stay. We stayed in the King Suite Jacuzzi room and it was an amazing room at an AWESOME rate (134.99) during the Jazz in the Valley Festival. As long as you book somewhat far ahead you can get great rates. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel. The only thing I would suggest for the management is if they could somehow make the parking lot bigger. We had to park out in the gravel next to the hotel at one point because the parking lot was PACKED. I don't blame them though since this last weekend was probably one of the busiest that Ellensburg sees during the summer. Overall I would say this hotel is Excellent!! I highly recommend it. We're actually thinking of coming back soon just for the fun of it!
I don't know how this hotel gets such high ratings. We were told we would have a suite with a separate living room for $260 for a single night. We got a standard room with a dirty bathtub that would not drain. The window would not open because the latch was broken. We received a $60 discount due to these issues. We stayed the previous night at the c'mon inn in Bozeman MT and for $169 per night we had a beautiful room with a separate living room and a functional bathtub and window. Do not stay at this best western. Get a room at the Super 8 save money and have a better experience.
This is my 4th or 5th hotel in Ellensburg and hands down the winner to date in terms of room, staff and even breakfast buffet! many of the others are on this strip of road as you jump off I90, the BW has the added feature that it is down a side road, "off the main drag" which cushions it from both the road noise and the secondary sounds of I90 truck traffic. There is the 6 a.m. train that runs through but I can't blame the hotel for that and basically was able to roll over after the rumble and whistle ended. I got a suite room, big enough for 4 (double bed, pull out couch). Almost a full kitchen, and two tvs. Bathroom, very clean, recently redone and nice amenities for a BW chain hotel. Plenty of towels a big plus. Staff are super friendly, very helpful and eager to answer any questions. Breakfast buffet was fully stocked, with a great selection and some healthy alternative choices. Endless coffee, a plus. Would repeat my stay. I did pick a busy weekend to stay so the price/value was not what it might have been at another summer weekend. Probably a 30% bump on the usual rate but who can blame then. Still a good value for the restful couple of nights! I've saved money elsewhere and slept fitfully and at the end of the day, sleep is worth a couple more bucks!
This hotel was a pleasure to stay at. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast bar had a variety of foods and the staff kept the food refilled and the dining room clean. We will be back.
I traveled on business and planned to stay at the Best Western Ellensburg for 4 nights. I ended up checking out early as I could not tolerate the smell, hair and dirt in the bathroom. At the end of July there is a Jazz festival in Ellensburg, therefore the hotel was at high capacity and the rates were sky high. Rates changed daily but I was taken aback by a rate of 270$ per night. Usual average would be around 140$. The front desk staff was friendly. The hotel seemed to have good amenities, including a pool, hot tub and outside barbeque. The breakfast was a nice bonus. The room was small; the A/C worked well; the bed was reasonably comfortable. The cleanliness was the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. Perhaps I am fortunate that I have never stayed at low end hotels and motels; I considered Best Western as a mid-range, basic hotel similar to Hilton Garden Inns or Marriott Fairfield Inns. So, my expectations regarding cleanliness were not as high as standards for 4-5 star hotels. Either way, I significantly overestimated.... This is how my room/bathroom was: Blonde long hair was everywhere in the room, there were little paper pieces and dirt deposits visible on the carpet, indicating that no vacuuming was done after the previous guests left. The bathroom had a musty, moldy smell, the sink and tub appeared with a matte film such as un-cleaned soap and toothpaste layers. There was no sign of bathroom cleaner use anywhere in the bathroom. Wiping with water might have happened but it seemed no detergent was used in a bathroom for a long while. There were all types of hairs in the bathroom as well. Being on a short business trip I did not have much flexibility but I checked out early as I just had to have a clean shower elsewhere. I believe that the conditions I saw were beyond what you could fix requesting housekeeping to clean the room/bathroom. The smell would have stayed either way and I was disgusted.
Always looking for a stop midway between our home in Sequim and Boise where we travel frequently. This time decided to try the Best Western Plus primarily because it was Pet friendly. What a wonderful facility. The room was clean and very comfortable. The facility's pool was large enough for some simple mini-lap swimming, a plus. The internet speed was more than adequate allowing me to stream YouTube videos without delays. Not something often seen in hotels these days. All in all a wonderful stay, We will stay there again.
Stayed at this property three time this year and always found it excellent. Great beds and very comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very good breakfast and other amenities, pool, coffee and location much appreciated
My sister-in-law chose this hotel for us as it was pet friendly. We were in town to attend her son's wedding reception. We found the experience of the hotel to be comfortable and enjoyable. It was a bit pricey for what we expected to pay in Ellensburg but for one night of pleasure, we were pleasantly surprised.
Very comfortable room and facility. It is probably the closest hotel to the highway, but we had no problem with road noise. Also, it was very quiet inside. We were on the second floor and couldn't hear the people above us.
The front desk person (David) was very friendly and helpful. He suggested many places for us to eat. Our room was great. We had a double queen bed suite. The beds have pillow tops and were very comfortable. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The only minus was that we were on the 2nd floor and looked out at the top of the pool building and air conditioning units. However, it wasn't a big deal to us. The complimentary breakfast has a good variety of foods. Overall it was a great stay.
Location is just off the road with all of the chain hotels and restaurants at the edge of Ellensburg. The suite we had was nice, but note that the sofa in the second room of the suites is not a pull out sofa bed, so we could not have the loud snorer in our group in a separate room as we had hoped. Internet access froze within two minutes each of the three times I logged on, so I gave up on that too. Pluses and minuses, but overall it was clean and comfortable.
Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful pool and very nice helpful staff. We stayed during Central Orientation and even during a busy time they were customer service oriented. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good.
Our room was clean and the hotel was nice and safe. The front desk person was very nice and helpful when we check in. Told us about a discount if we ate at the Roadhouse next door. Breakfast was nice and had many choices. However the room did have a few issues; the TV did not work, and the tub did not drain well and shower head needs to be replaced,. Sprayed every where. Internet worked great.
When we arrived, we were greeted by someone on the phone who would not put her call on hold. Next, we find hair on the bathroom floor and when we call about it, the front desk person kind of whines and says well, she is not a housekeeper but she will try. This was a waste. When we returned to check it, still hair. So we had to clean it ourselves! Check-out, again front desk person on the phone, unavailable to help us for a while. Then, the topper is, we left an item in the room and called a few times for them to locate it, to no avail. We finally talked to Josh; oh boy! I have never had the pleasure of dealing with a ruder hotel worker! He refused to acknowledge that perhaps our item was thrown away or taken since they could not locate it. I think he was implying that I had it! Yes, I do enjoy calling hotels and complaining about missing things just for the adrenaline rush. Oh man, do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn or something.
Lovely property, warm and efficient welcome, very clean...really appreciate the sanitized tv controller. It is in a convenient location and the rooms are quiet. Good value for the money and very convenient to the highway.
Good value in a nice safe hotel. Good location just off the freeway. Plenty of restaurants near by and a helpful staff. Pool is open 24 hrs. Breakfast has a good verity but nothing special or high quality. Free internet works well.
A well kept, clean place to stay with nice amenities. The staff was very nice and helpful. Good selection at breakfast and I loved seeing the dogs on the premises. Oh, and the chocolate chips cookies, yum!
This Best Western hits the mark. Friendly staff, clean rooms, convenient location, nice parking lot, and a great breakfast. The breakfast follows the standard but adds those special touches such as diced ham, onions and cheese to add to your eggs and several berry medleys to add to your waffle. Very nice stay.
I stay in hotels 5 nights a week for business... so I see a lot of rooms... Wife and I were on way home from a 5 day road trip and decided to stop instead of driving last 4 hrs home... didn't care about extras just wanted a comfortable bed.. to my surprise this was one of the best rooms of our trip... bed is VERY comfortable.. bathroom was roomy... great shower head ... jetted tub was a bonus we didn't ask for but was in room... and the rate was very fair... another great Best Western stay
Best Western Plus Lincoln Inn The BW+ have delighted granny on her trip. Again, are all the identities one would want while traveling. In addition, this Nana needs a place for her "kids" to stretch their legs. The Yorkies gave their nod of approval, and the mini horse would have lots of room for a pleasant walk in the open spaces surrounding this lovely motel. Nanas lil tip* Take advantage of lower rates by becoming Rewards Member than sign up for promos!
Nice, well-kept property with above average lobby ambiance and furnishings. Stayed in basic non-smoking king-bed room (vs. King Suite) which was comfortable. Room had low-wall divider between couch sitting area & the bed Also included was microwave & small, clean refrigerator. Bathroom was not small, but also not spacious. Shower is tub-combo with cloth shower curtain. Wifi was good - not overly responsive but adequate. Breakfast offered nice breath of food options including scrambled eggs and a meat (bacon) which is oddly missing at other competing hotels (like the nearby Hampton Inn). However, great tasting, constantly hot coffee with choice of robust, medium or light. Also, nice warm cookies presented in evenings. Hotel is just off I-90 & Canyon Road - & about mile & half from downtown Ellensburg. Starbucks less than 1/4 mile away. Nice feature was wider than normal parking spaces. Fitness room is very basic & subjected to same humidity rising from adjacent pool area. Only nagging issue was an electronic card-key that either constantly faltered or failed. Had to have it rekeyed twice over night stay...
The king bed was awesome! The staff were very friendly and helpful, even went the extra mile to make us fresh cookies--wow!! but we could have used to sofa to be a pull out bed and it wasn't. Also, the jetted spa tub was highly marginal--very weak jets.
this is the best place to stay, did not want the fancy/ expensive places in Seattle. After our grandson graduated college in Seattle, headed right for Ellensburg BW, for a peaceful, relaxing night and at the right price.
The BW Lincoln Inn in Ellensburg was perfect lodging for our short getaway from western WA. We hiked the Umtanum Canyon Trail, then were warmly greeted by Katy at the front desk of the BW. Everything was perfect from the shower to the blackout curtains in our spacious quiet room. Great location, super breakfast, friendly staff - a real gem.
I think whomever owns this hotel got it right. Clean comfortable and well laid out.. Rooms are spacious beds are comfortable. breakfast was standard motel except fot the nice idea of peanut packets great idea for the road. also warm cookies on arrival
I would give this 5 stars except the breakfast buffet was horrible. The room was great, we had the Jacuzzi suite. The hotel and rooms are very clean. We used the pool and hot tub as well, Not over chlorinated and very clean.
Clean, comfortable, great breakfast, friendly staff! Quick check in and check out. Great parking. Quiet. Nice pool. We've stayed here many times over the last 4 years while our daughter attended CWU and have not been disappointed!
This hotel was very clean. The front desk staff was helpful once they showed up. The front desk was empty when we arrived. Had to wait about 10 min. For someone to show up. After a long trip we were tired and just wanted to check in. We were given a room right next to the elevator which was noisy. The room itself was very comfortable and the breakfast was ok.
It was a friendly front desk, clean & comfortable rooms, and great location. Very handy having a microwave & small refrigerator in the room. There were plenty of places to catch a bite nearby, also, the Best Western breakfast was very good. We would definitely stay here again In town we enjoyed the Saturday street market and shops. There's a Fred Meyer very close for any needs that may arise.
My son and I stayed three nights,we went to the Wild Horse Wind And Solar Facility. The Room was one of the Cleanest Doggy room I have stayed in.My Chihuahua even liked it. Staff was very nice and they had twenty four hour coffee and Cookies in the evening. The room was very nice.We were able to get rooms close together as my son took my Chihuahua out in the morning to do her thing.Didn't use the pool or hot tube Only Con is that the pillows were uncomfortable to short and to fat. I forgot to bring my own.
It is always windy when I visit this area, the hot tub was only Luke warm at best and there was a no bubbles when I turned the hot tub on, the breakfast. was good but the hotcould items could have been a bit warmer, overall good.
Nice rooms; super customer service. I really appreciate having a place to stay with my dogs. This hotel was in a quiet area and I was able to walk my dogs around the area. Very nice breakfast spread. Clean rooms, good wifi connection and superb staff and customer service.
Hotel was great. They allowed us to use their breakfast room for our business meeting. When we were done with the meeting hot cookies were waiting at the front desk as we checked in. I used their fitness center again, but didn't have time to check out the pool. Another great visit at this hotel.
My husband had points for Econo Lodge, we checked in and stayed for about 10 minutes, just long enough for him to call about other rooms in the area. If you can't get a room at the Best Western or the Hampton, sleep in your car or camp out. We were lucky enough to get a room at the Best Western. The suite was super clean, well stocked with towels, pillows etc. The room also had a normal refrigerator, it also had a stove, microwave, pots, pans, dishes etc. They breakfast area is immaculate, there's a 24 hour pool, but after 10 p.m. it's basically quiet time, which is great. There's a laundry room, gym and outdoor grills if you are inclined to bar-b-que. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and so helpful. We will definitely go there again.
I stopped here after driving from the East coast.. I was too tired to keep going to Seattle. They found me a room immediately.. it was clean, comfortable and friendly staff. The bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and full of variety.
Price and comfort were average and not at all bad. Staff was friendly and the free breakfast was great with a good amount of options. Perhaps we just caught them at a bad time. The night check in clerk looked extremely disheveled and almost appeared drunk and our room was not clean. Dirty dishes were still in the dishwasher of the kitchenette area and bathroom items were not restocked.
Stayed for 1 night and the room was clean and quite. Breakfast was great and kept well stocked even with a full hotel. Have coffee , tea , fruit, and cookies available after hours. Front desk was very nice and helpful both at check-in and check-out.
Clean affordable hotel near I-90 in Ellensburg. The breakfast is of a Safeway style brand, which works for some people, but we chose to eat out elsewhere. The beds and pillows made for a sound sleep. I-90 is far enough away so you don't get woken up by the traffic, depending on your hearing. We were on family business, and we were on a budget, so we selected this hotel because we know what to expect from the chain.
Check went smooth! Front desk pleasant! Jacuzzi tub was relaxing in room! The morning breakfast buffet was pretty darn good! Close to freeway! Bedding was lush & cozy! Would highly recommend this hotel!
Room was nice and clean. Comfortable bed. Wasn't able to wash my hair because I found out the hair dryer was not working (luckily before I got in the shower) Seemed quite expensive for a Best Western. We paid $169 + tax
We have stayed here a few times now. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfortable. The people at the front desk are always pleasant. They have a small pool and hot tub. The breakfast is the usual fair you get a hotels.
I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Best Western is generally very good quality, but this hotel was truly outstanding in terms of cleanliness, quality and comfort of the room bed and furnishings. The Breakfast was delicious and the breakfast room was very large and roomy. Would definitely stay here again.
I've stayed at this Best Wesern multiple times now and always have had positive experiences. The hotel is off the main street and further away from the other hotels (a few blocks) - that are by the freeway, so this is a great location and quieter. Still centerally located. I take clienets here, for my bird photograph workshops! The pool always looks inviting, but I've never used it. Too many birds, not enough time.
We have been staying at this hotel for several years and have always been totally pleased. Reception staff is friendly and helpful suggesting places in the area to visit and ideas for restaurants for dinner. Beds are very comfortable and interior and exterior of establishment is attractive and clean. We recommend this hotel to anyone going to the area or even as a stop before heading out to further areas in Eastern Washington.
I loved my room, especially the bed... it was so cozy! I wish I could take it home with me. The pillows and sheets smelled so good... it was like sleeping on a cloud. My window looked out West, so the sunset was absolutely gorgeous! The location was great; close to the freeway so close to a bunch of restaurants, gas stations, etc. The shower was a little weird how it curved. It curved to the point that it hurt my ankles just standing there. Odd.
We were very comfortable during our stay. The room was very clean, the staff was great. Dave at the front desk made us feel very welcome. We have stayed in a couple of hotels in the aera because we have a college student, but this is our first time here. We will be back for sure. Thanks!!
Very nice place to stay. Really clean and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful from the time we checked in until we checked out. After being gone for the day, we came back to a very clean room and a wonderful surprise from the housekeeper. The girls dolls were arranged having a party, with a cute alligator made out of towels and a sweet note. Thanks for making 3 girls very happy!!
Common theme in the other reviews (Staff is nice). Very true but lacking elsewhere. Pros - friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, breakfast was good and plentiful. The staff person kept the breakfast area very clean and stocked continually. Good variety of food - waffles, eggs, sausage, breads, fruit, cereal, and more! Staff was quick to respond to issues. Hot tub was nice. Happy to be able to use 24 hours . Con - our room smelled like smoke. They figured someone was smoking on our floor the night before we got there and now they know what room it was! Even though they sprayed it (and we did as well) it still smelled the whole time. Still have a headache from it (and my husband's sinuses are messed up now). Bed was semi comfortable. Mattress is ready to be replaced. Bathroom sink didn't drain well. We will stay here again as we like it. One of 2 hotels we like in Ellensburg. Easy walk to Roadhouse Grill next door. Everything we complained about can be fixed.
A bit noisy with trains but nice amenities. Bring your own coffee mug unless you can do with paper cups! Nice pool and spa. We asked for a 3rd floor room toward the back to avoid noise of other clients and traffic, but still had slamming-door affect. Roomy bathroom with shower/tub. Close to restaurants, tourist attractions, church, and college. Friendly staff.
The location was great for us as was midway to a trip to Pullman Washington. The hotel had ample parking and they had an indoor pool that looked great but we didn't have time to use. The room was quite clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Nicely decorated and a nice shower. Air Conditioning was great and there was a nice elevator for the upper floors.
Staff was very friendly and helpful on locating hiking options. Hotel is close to the Interstate Highway but very quiet. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Roadhouse Grill restaurant was very convenient, within easy walking distance. Breakfast provided with the room provided excellent choices and the room was pleasant,
We have stayed at this property before. It was built only 2-3 years ago, so is generally in good condition. This time, however, we were given a room overlooking the roof over the entryway. It held some major fans and other equipment, which periodically made noise. Also there was no view at all. Someone had already bent the window screen so bugs might be an issue if the window were left open. We arrived at 3 pm and had reservations, so I was mystified as to why we were given this sort of room. Also, although this room was on the 2nd floor, I found animal food on the rug. I asked about this at the front desk. They weren't sure if the room was normally used for people with pets or not.
The staff was friendly. Our room was clean. The hotel was conveniently located to access the Interstate as we were just passing through. Our room was quiet and we did not hear a single traffic noise. Although our room was directly under their sign with the light shining in our room that lit the sign, we were able to use a book to hold the blackout curtains closed for the night and slept well. The bed was comfortable and the pool area was clean. There is a restaurant just across the parking lot and small empty lot which made getting something to eat easy. Free wifi to access with username and password they give you upon check-in worked well.
This hotel was clean, the staff was kind and efficient, the bed was comfortable, the elevator was a bit noisy but didn't keep me awake. Breakfast wasn't stellar, but satisfying and there were options to grab and go which I appreciated. They seemed to cater to those with dietary restrictions and I noticed the almond milk and various types and flavors of yogurt. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel for the price and I'd stay again for business.
TV only worked on 2 channels; weather and some home shopping club, no HBO or any other channels. Hallway activity was noisy. ... make more cookies! If you're not there when they come out, you miss out... can't cook more, how much is cookie dough? Its the small things.
The room was nearly immaculate, spacious and attractive. Breakfast was great and breakfast room was large and clean. The entire place and the pool was tasteful and pleasing. HOWEVER: I recommend trying to reserve a room on the backside of the hotel. Our family was unable to sleep on the comfortable mattresses due to the mass amount of nighttime light poring in through the very nice thick curtains. I don't know what to say. The hotel's own lights as well as a plethora of lights extending into the distance pored through every crack and seam. I'd say we felt as if a UFO was landing outside our window all night long....or as if it was perpetually 6:45 am....all night long. Please consider adding an extra shade that is inserted in the window case? Other pros and cons: Our sink drain was slow and the bathroom light switches were "slow"--and the bathroom light switch plates were either grimy or stained. Everything else was very, very nice. The front desk clerks were SO friendly and helpful. I'd say that was better than most places we have stayed, and we sometimes travel a lot.
This is a hard one. The room was really pretty nice. It was clean, large and comfortable. Unfortunately, our room was in the front of the hotel and it had so much light coming in that it was almost impossible to sleep.
My daughter and I stayed here for one night. It was a very enjoyable experience. The staff was nice, the room was clean and very pretty with lots of space. The pool and hot tub were sparkling clean and the breakfast was delicious. Overall it was a great stay!
Room was clean and breakfast was very good. Staff excellent. Room was adequate and price was right. Good location for this hotel. Easy on and off of freeway. Average BW hotel and that is ok as the rating is a BW Plus. Always try to stay Best Western.
Close to restaurants and away from busy roads. Friendly staff. Didn't use in-door pool but looked inviting. After a long drive it was just the place to relax and sleep well. Breakfast offered a variety of fresh fruit and a pleasant area to eat.
Staff at this hotel were excellent and very helpful. Breakfast was good and presented very nicely as well. Would ask for a different location of room if i were to stay there again as believe the air conditioning unit was on the rooftop just at the end of the hall from our room. if the noise of a motor was not the air the staff should look into what motor was running from 10 pm on at night. Otherwise all was good to stay there.
Nice accommodations, suite type rooms with couches in king. Less than a mile off freeway, next to a good restaurant, and close to McDonalds. Very good breakfast with good choices (eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, etc). Clean. Pool and Jacuzzi 24 hour! Friendly and helpful staff. Don't forget to tip these wonderful room attendants!!
After my husband completed a local 50K run we were going to camp, but at the last minute decided to stay in a hotel (he was very sore and tired, and suddenly roughing it sounded-well, rough). There were still a few rooms available here, so we jumped on it. We very much enjoyed the friendly staff, a quiet nights sleep on a comfortable bed, excellent breakfast (free with room), and very clean pool and hot tub. Considering it was last minute, and they were almost full, the price was still reasonable with our AAA discount. We will be back!
We went to Ellensburg for a 50k race. I had my dog and my 6 year old son. This hotel was perfect. It was 10 minutes from the starting line, had a pool for my son and was dog friendly. The staff were extremely helpful, the facilities immaculate and the location was perfect for the race.
Very nice hotel close to everything, and the staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a pleasure!! The complimentary breakfast was great. We rented 4 rooms and used the pool and breakfast and all ways so enjoyable.
David was great at check in, he recommended local restaurants, gave information on value, menu etc. Best of all he hand delivered cookies to my room after he baked a fresh batch! The cookies were gone after I returned from dinner, so he called me when ready. I had just gotten out of the shower and didn't want to go down so he offered to bring them to me. Really nice, great service!
We stopped in for a quick overnight stay and stayed in a suite. The king sized bed was very comfortable and having a separate room allowed me to work at the desk while my wife enjoyed some additional sleep. Large bright comfortable bathroom and shower. The breakfast was reasonable, not outstanding. But it was very well kept, clean and organized.
We had a King Suite that provided everything and more (full frig, microwave, cooking facility, and large bathroom with a "curbless" shower)....our room was spotless. The pool looked very inviting but we did not have time to enjoy it.
the property is well within standards for BW Plus. Breakfast was good, above average. The staff were well above average, helpful, kind & professional. Fitness room is only one treadmill and an eliptical, not great but the pool & hot tub were clean and enjoyable. We will stay here again.
Everything was fine except for breakfast. It was so-so. The eggs seemed artificial and the sausage came from the freezer after microwaving. That's pretty much it. Otherwise everything was fine and we plan to go back.
Great welcome and information at reception. The room was a nice clean space with an updated bathroom. Although a full breakfast was provided (including a waffle-maker), it was a little under-whelming. We would have appreciated fresher biscuits and bagels and some fruit. We will stay again!
David at the front desk was so kind and helpful. He was super busy and managed to find time to get us checked in quickly, grab our crib and supply us with goggles for the pool. What great customer service! Hotel was clean, quite and relaxing. Being able to walk to dinner at the Roadhouse grill made the night stress free for me. I really appreciate the fantastic customer service by David, thank you very much.
Rooms are well equipped with fridge and microwave. Sofa placement in awkward to view TV even though it is on a swivel. The art work in the lobby is spectacular. Breakfast room is spacious with waffles, eggs, sausage as well as cereal etc
Nice hotel impressed from the time I entered to the time I left. Value good! would recommend to family and friends! Friendly staff. Good breakfast eggs were not frozen or microwaved complimentary tea and coffee a nice bonus
Stayed here for one night while visiting Central Washington U. Had a family of four with 17 and 12 year old boys and stayed in a double queen. Staff was very friendly and the continental breakfast included eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruit and yogurt, bagels and cereal. Hotel was clean and we used the pool and spa. Only comment I have is we had a corner room on the main street that was a little noisy. If you get the back side of the hotel it is probably much quieter. We would definitely stay there again.
My husband and I were in Ellensburg to visit our daughter. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted by David who handled our reservation with a smile, good conversation and speed. The hotel has BBQ grills and a fish cleaning station. The rooms have granite countertops, plush beds.
We have stayed here before and found it a nice clean quiet place. The rooms are fresh and clean, also hallways and stairs are kept clean. The breakfast is good, hot and plenty to choose from.Coffee is hot and very good. The lady in the dinning room is very friendly and makes sure everything is clean and food is plentiful.Lots of parking and very well lite.Staff at front desk is very friendly and polite.Express check out is very con venient..We try to stay in BW Inn and suites when we travel.
This is pricey compared to other facilities in the area but has a great breakfast with THE CLEANEST breakfast room I've ever seen (and a wonderful young woman cleaning every surface of every table and chair - so I know why it looks and smells like clean.) Near the highways but far enough off to avoid noise. Easy walk to a good restaurant. Close to some really lovely park areas and the red-wing blackbirds were very active in the tiny wetland behind. Nice grass. Outdoor sink area. Good service at the desk (they were full but still very nice to the folks they turned away.) When I had a key-card problem the front desk staff provided a cleaner card I could use in the door to improve the reliability of the key-card and he still cut a fresh key-card so I wouldn't have to make another trip to the front desk. He was busy but this saved both of us time and frustration. Good call. Like having my dog welcomed. Price for dog was appropriate. To get an excellent rating this hotel needs to do a really thorough hallway cleaning. There is an "armpit" smell in the hallways which is either the cleaning solutions or the lack of them. It is always there so it isn't about the kind of folks staying there. At this price I shouldn't be holding my nose to get to the breakfast or front desk areas.
Just traveling through and wanted a 1) safe, 2) conveniently located off I-90, 3) comfy, 5) room that has never had pets, 6 )inexpensive place to stay. It was all. The bed was super comfy. The rate of $98 was acceptable. Excellent location and not only safe but quiet. A nice surprise was the breakfast. Yes, it had the usual powder eggs and waffle iron, but also had sausage and a berry compote for the waffle and several selections of coffee (I like it mild, my husband likes it strong). I'm giving it a 5 star for it had everything I was wanting. There was a guy using the bar-b-que, kids swimming in the pool, and plenty of parking for big cars. The internet was good, too.
The only problem we have with the facility is the fact that the bathtubs are rounded instead of flat and it makes it extremely difficult to stand in them and keep your balance. Lighting in rooms are somewhat lacking also, but we will stay there again.
This is a very nice hotel. All the rooms still have the brand new feeling to them. The hotel staff is very helpful and go out of there way whenever possible. There is only a couple places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Just wish the price was alittle more reasonable.
Friendly front desk at check-in, very helpful and polite. Plenty of choices for restaurants within walking distance. The swimming pool and hot tub are well kept. Great parking lot with oversized parking spaces,as I was driving a limo. Complimentary breakfast was satisfying as well. I will be back!
very clean, excellent breakfast, nice location. Room was nicely divided into a couch on one side, bed / tv on the other. Allowed me to work while my son watched tv. Swimming pool area was also very clean, comfortable. Well maintained
I stay at this hotel once a month for business. I'm always greeted by David with a smile and he even remembers my name!! Excellent friendly service, clean rooms, a breakfast bar with decent offerings and a great quiet setting!
We stayed for 1 night at this Best Western. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a king size bed, love seat, flat screen TV, alarm clock, fridge, and microwave in the room that I stayed in. Complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Towels were thicker. The breakfast was standard. They had a waffle maker, sausage patties, diced ham, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, gravy for biscuits, assortment of cold cereal, yogurt, breads, fruit, milk, juice, coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. There was a small swimming pool, which we did not get a chance to use. The staff were friendly. I would stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.
Great hotel, clean and comfortable. Train disturbance was minimum even though so close to tracks. Staff was wonderful - helpful and patient. Breakfast was super. Location very convenient off highway but also directly connecting to town.
Best Western Plus is a great place to stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and clean. Our room had a microwave and bigger than normal for a hotel refrigerator. The breakfast had a good variety of locations. Convenient location.
Everything worked, room was clean, free breakfast was fresh and maintained well. Pool and Hot tub are 24 x 7! The train went by in the early AM but we would still go back. Other hotels we have stayed at in Ellensburg are double in price for the same thing. Great deal and nice customer service.
Though a bit pricey this hotel is conveniently located; it is clean, has a cozy lobby and breakfast room with may items to choose from. The mini suite rooms are spacious and very clean. We could not ask for more.
I like to stay at the best western hotels as rates at great and the breakfast are nice to when you are starting out in the morinings as you don't have to stop for breakfast when you are starting off for that day
Hotel is clean and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to help when my toilet clogged. Good location close to I-90 and restaurants and University. The breakfast was good. Nothing bad to say. I stay here every time I go to Ellensburg.
Everything was clean, even the rooms that are reserved for pets! (No stains, no smells) The pool and hottub were extremely nice for relaxing while the kids played. Breakfast had a lot of different selections. It was a hit with the kids, especially the waffle maker! The front desk was helpful and went out of their way to accommodate. Late check out option is a bonus!
We travel form Walla Walla Wa to Canada at least once a month. We stop in Ellensburg on a regular basis. We have stayed at four other motels in town and have not been as happy as we are staying at Lincoln Inn Suites. You might save a couple of dollars staying at the others but we feel the quality of the bed and the room is worth it. Always been treated with kind professional help at front desk. We will be back. It is also nice that just across the tracks there is a nice restaurant to get a good meal.
We chose this hotel for the great price and affordable upgrade for a romantic night with an in-room Jacuzzi. Breakfast was amazing and the only think missing was bacon. Breakfast without bacon when your at a hotel?
Breakfast was the best feature of the hotel. Every thing was brought in small portions and kept fresh. The offerings were: make your own waffle; sausage; scrambled eggs; yoghurts of various flavors, biscuits and gravy; and the usual sweet rolls and cereals. The room was a different story. VERY DIM CFLs in every place they could be used. It was like trying to shave by candlelight. My wife had to give up and take a hand mirror to the window to do her makeup (which is very slight). A good sleep otherwise.
We were shut down due to the pass being closed and so we stopped in Ellensburg, Wa. We looked into several hotels settling on BW. What a surprise this place is. Great hotel nice rooms and great breakfast . I will now make this a regular stop.
After a long road trip from Dallas to Seattle, staying in a variety of BW motels...this BW Plus is by far the nicest place we've stayed. BIG rooms. Very comfortable beds, pet friendly. Ellensburg is a nice stopping point before heading over the mountain pass toward Seattle...if you find yourself needing a layover.
Friendly staff very helpful, Pet friendly room no fleas some carpet stains. Very clean. The breakfast sausage, eggs, gravy, is microwaved except for waffles. It snowed while we were there and it was very enjoyable. Did not get a chance to check out the indoor pool area.
If you are an animal lover, do not give this hotel your money. They do not list their pet policy does not include cats. The manager Kim literally turned us out in the snow and cold with no place to stay because she would not allow our 6 lb short hair declawed cat in the room. I booked this reservation a month ago for a 1 week stay. Read there hotel website pet policy. No where does it say no cats. We just drove 4 hours scary icy road conditions to now continue on in the dark to look for a place to stay. I hope Kim the manager has a good night sleep tonight knowing we are risking our lives on the road tonight because of your unfair pet policy...and by the way if you have 2 80lb hairy dogs those are just fine In their hotel.
We recently stayed overnight in Ellensburg and chose the Lincoln Inn. The surroundings were pleasant and the hotel was very quiet as it is not in close proximity to the freeway. It is very close to historic downtown Ellensburg and there are many food establishment with a few blocks. It was a pleasant stay.
There were a few areas where this hotel was lacking but overall stay was pretty good. Broken drink machine disappointed and there was a dirty filter in the hot tub which we weren't aware of until after bathing(!). Brought it to the managers attention and no comps were given. I might stay in another hotel if I ever had to stay in Ellensburg again.
Because the Snoqualmie pass was closed, we spent xmas eve in this town. The staff was helpful and the hotel was appropriate. Swimming pool, whirlpool and an Ok gym. The room was nice and we had no problem with our dog at all. Recomended.
Helpful, courteous staff and clean, comfortable beds & room. We had just had a harrowing experience crossing Snoqualmie Pass and were fortunate and thankful to be allowed to have our pets (dogs) stay with us for a reasonable fee ($15 each). Continental breakfast was nice, too.
Helpful courteous Staff, nicely decorated property and clean comfortable beds & room. I prepaid for the room and there was confusion on the bill, but the lady at the front desk was helpful and did her best to handle things professionally.
Bathroom was so dirty did not use shower next morning . the bed was so soft it was actually hurting my back trying to lay on it. the staff was nice and the breakfast was good but I would not recommended for what you spend to ever stay here .
The toilet was not thoroughly cleaned. The bathroom floor grout is black except under the sink (an indicator it needs to be scrubbed). If needed, I would not have been able to keep the room I was in for an extra night--fortunately I didn't need to stay. If I'd had to pack, check out and check in to another room, I would have looked for other accommodations. Hotel stays have gotten very expensive in the last couple of years.
Close to everything; it is very clean, the staff are all very professional and helpful. We did not use the hot tub but heard it was wonderful so kicking ourselves on missing that gem. Breakfast was awesome; better than most and fresh.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel had all the amenities needed for a good stay. Close to the Central Washington University and close to restaurants. Will stay here again. Made it easy to have Thanksgiving with our Son.
I already wrote the problems we experienced. The reception was the worst we have every experienced. Dave was very "SMART MOUTH"!! kEYS DIDN'T WORK, PILLOW SO HARD AND THE BED WAS TERRIBLE. We will never stay here again.
Stayed one night at this Best Western. Another pleasant stay at this hotel. Cookie were coming out of the oven when I checked in. Room clean, the breakfast was good and included sausage. They also had biscuit and gravy which I always enjoy with the extra sausage.
We scheduled a very quick trip to visit CWU and the hotel was ideal. I really like the fact that the pool, hot tub and workout room is open 24 hours a day. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable.
Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Beautiful community. Arrived early and was able to get in room right away. Helpful front desk staff offered lots of great ideas for recreational activity and places to eat good food. Thanks for a great stay. We'll definitely come back and recommend this hotel to others.
Went to Priceline and did the "pick your price" option. All websites wanted $103 but with pick your price I got the room for $70. Honestly it was worth more! It was extremely clean, king bed, sofa and all of the other normal amenities. The girl at the front desk was awesome and friendly. She also laughed at my husbands corny jokes so you have to give her extra points for that. Breakfast is also included so it was an all around great stay.
We spent 2 nights at this hotel & had mixed feelings due to both good & bad experiences. After the first night, we notified the desk staff that the shower head did not work properly & that the tub drained very slowly. Those things were fixed while we were out for the day so were were pleased with that but we were disappointed that the cleaning staff did not fully clean our room - bed was not made, toiletries were not replenished, bathroom not cleaned. Also, one of the three people we we encountered at the desk (the male) was very bad customer-service-wise. When I said "good morning, how are you?" he replied very sarcastically "I'm here." He also did not want to hear about the shower & tub problems...I waited until his female colleague (Brandy, I think) came out & I spoke with her, She had the problems taken care of. Katy, who checked us in, is WONDERFUL! She was very friendly & helpful.
One of those trips that had me checking in at midnight and in the shower a 5 AM. Breakfast looked good in a large dining area, I seem to recall a pool and the staff was great. Honored the GSA rate as well. Would stay here again! Thanks!
This is a nice hotel with a great breakfast and we have stayed here at other times. However, the room that they put us in (with our dog) should of been destroyed. Dog urine/poop spots were everywhere even on the desk chair. They think that $5.00 off our bill was fair.....really?
Stayed at this location a few times and have been rather satisfied with the staff and appearance of the rooms. Staff seems to be friendly and the breakfast in decent for being FREE. Would recommend during your out of town stay.
A very poorly maintained and depressing property. Dowdy furniture and dim lighting Missing and unwashed dishes and utensils. A wi-fi connection which drops repeatedly. A fitness room with antiquated equipment and a TV which is out of service. A bathroom sink which doesn't drain properly. And train noise throughout the night from a rail line nearby the hotel. If you don't like the above, stay away.
Our first time staying in Ellensburg WA. The hotel was easy to find and very close to the interstate. The staff was excellent. The hotel overall was very good. I would certainly stay here again in the future.
Could have been better, however I had to stay in a handicap room as it was all that was available. The fixtures ie the toilet paper backing plate (very dirty) and the bathtub drain (chipped missing enamel) needs looking after. Being a Best western PLUS I expected better. Loved the roof top view as well. Overall it was a place to sleep (bed was good). Breakfast could be better raw bacon and greasy.
This is a nice looking hotel tucked just off the freeway, but what stood out to us was the amazing customer service. When our card key wouldn't work we were given a card cleaner and a new key. After it didn't work again the same front desk staff gave us a new one and kept it light and funny. When I asked for plates and a fork afterwards he opened he breakfast section to retrieve one for me. In the morning when I asked if there were any gluten-free options the front desk gal said that there was not, but another staff emerged from the office and offered to show me the ingredients for each item. She had actually made a binder with the ingredient and nutrition information from each of the packages and showed me each one. The eggs and sausages weren't specifically marked "Gluten-Free", but didn't have any gluten ingredients in them. That was really going above and beyond, but it really matters to someone with a severe reaction like me. Especially when I am traveling - yikes! Each interaction with the staff left me smiling - I wish I could say that about all the hotels I've ever stayed at. The indoor pool looked great, but we didn't use it. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast area had tons of options, including several hot entrees. This was a great choice for us.
The location is great and next to the Roadhouse restaurant which has good food. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although they need some new key card locks. It took us about 3-4 minutes every time until our card would work, They then said it was operator error and they came up and tried it and it still didn't work!!! Months ago I would have given this hotel a 4-5 star rating but not now. During Mothers day weekend My brother had booked 2 rooms and one of them was for me. When checking in I gave the hotel clerk my Credit Card and the room was placed in my name. Apparently my card was never taken and they charged my brother. My sister in law called them to say they charged the wrong card and the said they couldn't reverse the card until my card was charged. They then continued to lie to my sister in law and said they tried calling me many times (which they didn't) to try and get my Credit Card Number (again). They somehow lost all my information they took from me when we checked in. As soon as I found out about this I called and straightened it out. If they would have just said we screwed up and been honest it wouldn't have been a big deal but when you lie to customers that's bad.
Another nice BW "Plus". These seem to be newer, exceptionally well maintained and clean. Quiet location off the besten path not far from Starbucks ?? Convenient, out of the way, spacious, easy-access parking. Friendly staff.
I'm back as a customer now that I can bring my two dogs with me again! That is important to me. Had to stay at a cheaper place in town for the past 2 years that allowed pets that is not as nice as this place. My room was a single king it was spacious with couch & coffee table and a very comfortable bed. Clean grounds inside and out, polite and professional staff. Didn't use the pool but it looked sparkling clean!
It's clean, reasonably priced, and the hotel staff are very friendly. We had our dog with us, and they were very accommodating for him. Our kids had a great time in the pool. Great, easy family place to stay.
Two hours from seatac airport along a wet winding road, it was a haven to late night arrives. We had to search for the desk clerk but it was after midnight. Soft, soft lovely bed. The breakfast was okay, plenty of variety. Then we were off to Leavenworth!
This was our first stop on a month-long road trip. Everything from the excellent front desk service (kudos to David) to the decor and layout of the room (310-A) was first rate. The beds were comfortable and there was a small sitting are. The location is just off the highway but very quiet. Good restaurants are nearby; and it's possible to go for a pleasant walk outside. If only every hotel/motel met this standard.
Great location in a wonderful town, lobby was a scenic as the surrounding hills and distant mountains. Room was large and clean, breakfast was typical but in a nice bright and clean room; great value.
We stayed at this hotel while attending a family wedding. Overall it worked out fine - the price was reasonable, the rooms were good sized and basically comfortable, they had a decent breakfast, and they had a small fitness center. The service was good. We would consider staying there again if needed.
Super clean I would say spotless staff was great the room was oversize and set up very nice The breakfast was great and had lots of Hot items What I likes best was this hotel was so clean all over the parking lot the lobby sparkled the Room was so fresh it was very relaxing and it was layed out very user friendly
Based on the room, spacious and clean, I was going to give this hotel four stars. But then came the 'free hot breakfast.' I guess you get what you pay for. The hot parts were bacon and scrambled eggs, and although the bacon was decent, the eggs were the powdered version at their worst. The selection of fruit and yoghurt was very poor. So four stars for the room, two for the breakfast, equals three overall.
