Hotel was clean and staff was friendly enough but the hotel is right on the interstate feeder road. Room was facing the interstate and was very, very noisy. Did not get a good night's sleep. Breakfast was a typical motel breakfast. Maybe ask for a room on the backside?
The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and welcoming! Hotel and room were extremely clean and comfortable. The pool was clean and opened till 10pm! There is a Walmart and food places very close!
Visiting family for high school graduation. A good location, employees were friendly and very helppful.
We normally stay at this Best Western and have had acceptable stays, but htis time it was a night mare. The room had broken closet doors and office chair, and the water pressure and temperature was hard to regulate, you could actually burn yourself,. The breakfast choices were good but were constantly on the cold side, which was not pleasant to eat. Plus the curbs were not painted t show elevation and my 90 yr old active mother stepped of and fell, twisting and spraining her ankle and abraisions on her knees. we were so disappointed in this stay!
It was a great stay, breakfast was great and staff was helpful. The pool was clean and the gym was small but functional, no free weights and the weight machine was missing some features but still worked.
This hotel is supposed to be a BW Plus. The hotel is in disrepair. Big dip in the floor of our room 417 with new carpet recently replaced. Bad Paint job, Old faucet in bathroom hard to turn on. Hallways are hot and smell. There is another big dip in the floor on the 3rd floor by the ice machine. Smoking section is right out the back door so you get hit in the face with smoke when you leave. Room card was deactivated one night and we had to walk around the building to front to get new cards at 11:30 at night.
This hotel met our needs. However, it needs updating to eliminate the musty smell. It hits you as soon as you walk in. The breakfast had a great variety to choose from. The pool area was very clean. My husband used the gym and satisfied with the equipment available. The internet worked well. The musty smell and squeaky floors were the only negative for our stay.
In town to check out the city bicycle trail system. Great location. Close to shopping, and all kind of restaurants. Easy on and off I-45. 242 takes you across town in other direction. Straight shot down to Spring. Overall good place. Get room on back side. Much much quieter.
We stayed overnight after attending a concert at The Pavilion. Overall, it was a good stay for the short time we were in room. The hotel is located close enough to The Woodlands without costing that downtown price. And yes, the location can be a bit tricky if you don't know ahead of time where it is or that there are technically TWO entrances (one on the 45 feeder and one off 242 via the Costco parking lot). The hotel also has the standard amenities. We didn't get to use the pool or fitness room but did check them out. The pool is standard size and is open from 10 to 10 during season. The fitness room requires a cardkey, is open 6 to 10, and was probably the coldest room in the whole building. Breakfast is the regular fair of choices between muffins, bagels, toast to waffles to protein. Our protein was bacon, scrambled eggs, and potatoes. They also have a cold drink machine that gives OJ, AJ, Cranberry Juice, or cold water as well as a coffee machine that gives multiple choices. Our room was a double queen. The beds were comfortable enough though we could have just been super tired after the outdoor concert. The room and bathroom were clean. The only issue we had was our A/C didn't really cool our room, and the bathroom towels were kinda scratchy. We didn't interact too much with that staff, but when we did, they were friendly and very helpful. Would we ever return? Overall, the experience was on the positive side so the chances are good we may choose to come back in the future.
Location is tricky as it is located immediately off the exit of the interstate. It's hard to cross 3 lanes to get to the driveway. Beds were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good. Hotel staff not very friendly. Kids ran up & down the hallways knocking on doors until 11PM. Reported to the front desk and nothing was done. Emailed the manager and never received a response. Would not stay here again.
My husband and I spent 1 night here when traveling. We were please and would stay here again if in the area. It is convenient to restaurants, shopping and grocery. It was clean, good towels, comfortable bed and hot breakfast. My only complaint was a dripping facet in the bathroom.
Found two bugs in the room, internet wasvt working. Went to ask staff from help and she stated it was out of her control. I had to miss work because of it and I work for a big company (The Boeing Company) I never missed work the 9 years I've been there and because of this hotel I did. Then I was charged $141 dollars but my receipt stated it was one amount and my bank says another. Once contact the staff about the difference, she said she couldn't do anything. Unacceptable
As soon as you walked in the door, you could smell that it was extremely clean. The breakfast was impressive. Our room was on the backside of the hotel, which we loved because it made it quiet. The parking lot was well-lit and equipped with cameras.
We were assigned a room on the freeway side and the traffic noise and loud high pitched motorcycles continuously racing by kept us from getting a peaceful sleep. Room was nice and staff was very nice and helpful. Be sure to insist on room on back side of hotel.
My experience at Best Western was exceptional! The service was great to cleanliness to price to ammenities to convienent location to breakfast to overall service and to the pool! They had plenty of clean towels and rags and blankets. They also had a fridge and microwave! Everything was great with my stay and I highly reccomend this motel!
We came out to Texas to visit some family and had booked our stay at another hotel at first. When we arrived to that hotel, it was a definite no. So we quickly searched for another place to stay and ended up at Best Western plus the woodlands! We are so thankful we did because we had the best experience. Nice AC, great breakfast! Friendly staff and super comfy beds. We will definitely be returning next time we come to town!
Was there racing at 3 palms motor sports and it's was only 2.4 miles away from the track. The hotel had great showers and cold after a long day in the TX heat. Plenty of nice restaurants close by to chose from if you wanted to venture out and eat. Pool was nice also.
This hotel is conveniently located of off I-45 and is easy to get to. It is clean and the staff are very helpful and nice. We used this hotel 2 times now for overnight stays while traveling through and have no complaints.
we looked around for a hotel and glad we settled with this one! Stayed for daughters softball tournament. It was a great stay. Definitely glad that the full breakfast is back! Hotel was quiet and the room was perfect.
The hotel was very clean and welcoming. The rooms and bed was very good. The food was very good. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Easy check in and check out. I will be staying at this hotel in the future
Front desk made an awesome impression, we're personable and even made silly conversation. Stay was very clean. Floors felt fresh, even remote felt freshly clean. We've had hotels where they don't pay attention to stuff like that. It was a pleasant stay.
The bathroom wall had multiple brown crusts between the toilet and toilet paper holder wall. The toilet had a leak and would loudly refill the tank every few minutes all night long. The faucet dripped. The coffee maker did not work, neither did the alarm clock (I like a backup to my phone). Poor night sleep. Would not go back agaih
I will be honest - I was a little concerned about some of the reviews I had read, but found absolutely none of the concerns of other guests to be an issue. The one thing my husband did mention was the noise level of the traffic - he initially thought the window was opened. However, it wasn't that serious and we were both able to sleep comfortably. Since that is not within a hotel's control, they cannot be held accountable for that. While our visit was a brief overnight stay so that we could enjoy a local event, our time in this hotel was very pleasant and comfortable. Each employee we encountered was extremely friendly and cordial. Everything was clean and fresh. We definitely recommend Best Western Plus The Woodlands for comfort and value.
This is a typical Best Western property, but the staff is exceptionally attentive and friendly. The room was clean and the hot breakfast was above average, with a great selection of items and prepared on time.
Breakfast was all you could eat; egg omelette, boiled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, muffins, sliced bread, waffles, apples, bananas, 4 kinds of all you could drink juice. Kitchenette had dishes, silverware, pots, pans, coffee maker, stove, microwave. Comfortable living room and bed. Bathroom extremely clean. We will stay in “The Woodlands Best Western” again next month when we come back for our next cruise out of Galveston!
It looks great it is great the staff was awesome/ the rooms were nice the beds were great to sleep on the / the room was nice and clean the pool was outside the fitnesses rooms was great and clean overall a nice clean place to stay
I read several mixed reviews on this hotel. I had mixed feelings about staying at it. However! It was GREAT! The nicest people, great, well-lit parking, extremely comfortable rooms and bed and a delicious breakfast!
I choose this location because of the proximity of the school and am so happy. I will be traveling to TX four times a year and will stay here. The staff is friendly. The hot breakfast is just right and the room was clean and comfortable.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast option included and free parking. Good for short stays at an affordable price close to the Woodlands. Pool, Fit Room, Laundry and vending machines available on site.
We had planned a 2 night stay using gift cards. First the counter person insisted I email all the gift cards to a gmail address instead of taking the numbers off my phone, that took forever. When we got to the room and immediately noticed there was a ton of noise from the road and parking lot, we were told there were no alternatives when we asked to change rooms. Next we discovered we had no hot water, warm water but not hot, making the shower less than enjoyable and the included spa tub useless. At this point we cancelled the second night reservation. When we attempted to go online to find a hotel for the second night, we were able to connect to the wifi but found there was no internet service. We finally attemted to go to sleep and were kept awake by the TV noise from the adjacent rooms. At checkout we were told we would get an email when the gift cards were refunded, that email never arrived and we cut our trip short and returned home a day early. For the last few years we have stayed exclusively at Best Western when we have to go to OKC on business and we have never had such a miserable experience. Hands down one of the worst hotel experiences ever.
Conveniently and easily accessible on the northbound access road of the interstate. The facility exterior is clean and well lighted. Late check-in (9:45 PM) was quick and hassle free. The lobby was spacious and well maintained. The elevator and stairs are somewhat offset from the lobby but easily accessible. The room was very clean and spacious, including the bathroom area with a huge countertop (about six feet across) with ample room. We acquired coffee during our checkout and skipped breakfast but a complete hot breakfast was available.
Hot water for showers. The water was barely even warm. Weird old grandma house smell strongest in halls but in room as well. Ants in bathroom. Bedding was not comfortable & did not cooperate. The sheets separated from blanket they may have been different sizes. Ac was not very cold.
Most everything is good there. Breakfast was decent. Biscuits and gravy had very good flavor the eggs were terrible. I woke up with hives and went to the front desk and inquired about what was used in the laundry and the front desk girl said she was unaware. I let her know that I'd woken up with hives and is there anything we could do and she said no. Did not change my room did not do anything to make my stay better. I wound up putting on my suit which covered my arms and my legs and went back to bed. Apparently the sheets did not get rinsed enough during the wash and irritated my skin which is really abnormal I don't have allergies.
Cons: 1.I45 is loud. No fault to the hotel but I'm glad I brought my white noise machine to drown out the sounds of street racing and emergency vehicle sirens. 2. The conference room is on the 4th floor. Advise against room 407 as it shares a wall with the space and those who were using the space were loud until well after midnight. Pros: very comfortable beds, spacious rooms, lots of space/storage in shower, clean room, breakfast options had lots of variety and was well serviced by staff, the location is easy to access, shares parking lot with Costco, very well lit parking lot.
BW located just North of 242 off I45 and convenient to Woodlands restaurants and shopping. Room was big, comfortable, and clean. Nice pool, good free breakfast and friendly helpful staff. This is not a fancy Best Western but reasonably price for good Woodlands location.
stay here every time I'm in North Houston for work. This hotel is EASY access from highway, great staff and hotel and rooms always clean and ready. For some reason they were not able to use my accrued points for hotel stay on my last visit, but otherwise a great experience every time I stay at this location. The staff is always helpful, professional and accommodating. Do yourself a favor by choosing this location for a North Houston visit.
The first night of a two-night stay I was told upon check-in that there was no not water until 6:00 pm. In actuality it came on at 8:45 pm and I was only informed this after I called the desk. The window AC units in the hallways were not turned on; therefore, the hallways and the elevator were very hot and humid. The pool was green and unusable. The icemaker on my floor was not working. The TV in the room is very small and only receives an analog signal so the picture is fuzzy and scrunched. The wi-fi is not password protected either. The second day we returned from playing in a golf tournament in the rain and was looking forward to a hot shower. Upon entering the room we received a note on the floor that said the hot water would not be available until midnight. I went down to the desk and told them this was unacceptable. The clerk had nothing to say. I said we are going to another hotel and you are not charging me for this day. She agreed. The mgr. came out and said she would give me extra points for the aggravation. I wanted a discount for the first night as I had to wait to take a shower. The mgr. only offered more points. We moved to another hotel which was a huge imposition but it was very, very nice. Will not stay at this BW location again.
I will never stay in this chain of hotels. When we got to our room the toilet backed up and flooded bathroom and after calling front desk, I ended up cleaning the floor myself. The jacuzzi jets did not work. Then at 12:30am there was a fight between 2 males. There was yelling, racial slurs, fist fighting ect. I did call the front desk to report the fight and it still went on for at least another hour. Then breakfast was a joke the front desk person handed us a brown paper bag with a gross breakfast sandwich. Such a disappointment, I never knew so many things could go wrong in one place.
Very clean and friendly motel. Check in was very quick and the gentleman was very polite and fills you in on all amenities that are available. Room was clean and very comfortable. Treated my wife and I with respect. Will definitely stay again.
Comfortable hotel with a good quality / price relationship. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Free parking. Location is good for getting on the road to I-45 (Houston, Airport, and the Woodlands Area). Recommended!
This hotel was clean, accommodating, professional, and exceeded our expectations during out 4 day stay. We used the conference room for a small meeting and they couldn't have been more helpful in organizing a successful event.
Good location in the Woodlands. If you need somewhere to stay in the Woodlands and don't want to pay the resort pricing, I recommend this location. Close to several restaurants, shopping and easy on and off for the freeway. Staff is very friendly.
I stayed at Best Western Plus for 4 nights for medical treatment. The hotel is located very close to the hospital. Room was very clean and well maintained. There was no hot breakfast as advertised this is my main complaint.
The place was very clean. Everyone was super nice. Ac workers very good. The only downfall is they do not have a shuttle bus that can take us to and from the new md Anderson that has been built in there area.
The rooms were neat and clean. The staff is super friendly and very helpful if you need anything. I absolutely loved their toiletries. They were in fact refreshing and invigorating. The pool was nice and wal-mart is like a two min drive away. I have kids so of course they forgot something.
We attended a Horse Training conference/show in Conroe. The hotel was next to the freeway but we heard no noise. It was quiet, clean, and a very nice place to stay. The staff member we interacted with was super nice, personable, and professional. And they had tortilla's for breakfast taco's, a Texas staple, on the breakfast buffet. That was HUGE :) The toaster only toasted one side of the bread was the only problem we experienced. And bottom line the price was awesome. We will stay there again for any business or pleasure in the area.
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the bed sheets were clean but the sheets were old. The shower was nice. The hotel also felt safe. The parking area was well lite. The internet was fast. The TV had normal channels. We will be back to this hotel as we like The Woodlands for Restaurant and shopping; the traffic is, WOW. Other then the sheets which were clean the hotel was great. We travel by car, so we are taking a set of sheets with us on trips from now on.
I had a coupon for a free BW night that was about to expire. I didn't plan anything special but didn't want to lose it either. I've always admired this hotel, how pretty it is among the tress. So I chose it for a night getaway even though I live 30 min. away! LOL The room was huge, being a Plus I did expect that. BUT the bathroom was the best, it was big! I loved the built in shelf on the wall that held towels. The counter space was awesome, all the electrical outlets were nice too! I'd come back in a heartbeat!
This hotel is extremely nice. Great location close to everything. Wonderful staff and great amenities. Stayed 3 nights and had not one issue. Check in - out was efficient. Breakfast was abundant with longer hours at weekends. Housekeeping always made the room lok nice and welcoming. Great value for the money. I do plan to stay there each time I go home for a visit. Thanks Best Western! Front desk staff is amazing. Victoria was incredible!
You hear the people walking over your head, you hear the people in the room next to yours, you hear people slamming doors in the hall. The people at the front desk are polite. But every time I tried to do anything up there at the desk, I just stood there forever waiting. They don't have any concept of time. The description of this property is that it is in a wooded, serene location. That is a big fat lie. It is on Highway 45 with a mall in the back of it.
stayed here with my daughter and grandsons and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a damp musky odor and the a/c was not working as well as I expected it to . Overall was a good trip and will be back.
The service was really excellent the people are nice the rooms were very clean I have no complaint except the breakfast it is all microwave including the eggs and the meat and it made the meat case not all the way done
My room smelled like mildew. Cheap crappy pillows, I didn't sleep well. Something sticky feeling on the comforter. Shower curtain looked about ready to disintegrate into crumbs. Old beat down look and feel to the whole interior of the hotel and rooms.
This hotel is one of the cleanest and fresh smelling. I had a event last weekend . The room was set up on time. The price for the conference room is great. The hotel is close to the mall, eating places and more. They offer free breakfast. It was like being at a buffet. Sleeping rooms were clean and had a fresh smell . I always check the shower and ring around the toilet lol! I have to give all 10's because it was clean not like other hotels I stayed out. Gas and food right next door . Front desk staff is always helpful. We will be back. I Will be back.
This was exactly what is was supposed to be. Not high end, not low end. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, same for the bathroom. We had a king bed and a full size couch. The room was big. AC was great, and it was quiet. Breakfast was as expected. The hot food was done in small batches, so at 9:00 it was still fresh. Staff was very nice. My only comment is that this property needs an update. Although it is very clean, freshly painted and seemed to have new carpets, the decor is 60's or 70''s. Even some of the wall paper appears to have been replaced.
I Don't Want To Bash This Place But I Would Like To Let You Know What You're Getting. I Booked A Two Night Stay(Sat-Mon) While Having AC Work Done At My Home. I Get To My Room Get Unpacked And Use The Restroom.. Guess What? Toilet Doesn't Flush..... The Fix Was To Give Me Another Room. I Pack All My Things, Move To The New Room, And Unpack Again. I Reach To Open The Refrigerator And The Handle Is Filthy. I Clean The Handle, Open The Fridge And There Are Items Left From The Previous Guest, I Assume. I Empty And Clean The Fridge. Now I Look In The Restroom, The First Thing I Notice Is The Toilet Seat Is Dirty. I Again Contact The Front Desk And This Time Ask For A Manager, I Was Told Management Doesn't Normally Work Weekends But They Would Pass On My Message. It Is Monday Morning And I'm Still Waiting To Hear From Management.....
One of the worst experience I've had at a "3 star" hotel. Had bugs, pubic hairs in tub, towels, and hair in the bed. Room smelled horrible and the hotel was hot and humid, a/c did not work. Julia our check in person was crankiest check in person ever. Avoid this place it is not what reviews say.
The hotel is right off an entrance ramp to I-45, so ask for a room on the Costco side if continuous traffic noise bothers you. As outside/traffic noise doesn't bother me, I had no problem adjusting. Several issues popped up, but staff were ready to assist. First the AC went out, so the maintenance man replaced it with one from the room across the hall. Next, there was a terrible storm with driving rain that blew water into the window above the AC. Again, maintenance came right away and supplied towels to soak up the water. Last thing I tried was the TV: the remote didn't work. Front desk staff brought 3 until they found one that worked. Unfortunately, by that time I was ready for bed. Next morning I got up early to hit the breakfast bar as soon as it opened before heading to doctors appointments. There were a number of field workers staying who had to be out quickly, so they pretty much consumed everything very fast...so I waited until I returned an hour later to try again. When I got back, there was still no pancake batter and the cream cheese seemed rancid, so I ended up having a plain toasted bagel and coffee (the coffee was great!). Very conveniently located near a WalMart, Costco, several restaurants, gas stations, pharmacies, hospitals, and other great amenities.
We booked 3 rooms for the weekend. Very nice hotel. Very secure location. Breakfast could have been better. Expected more for a Best Western. Near many places to shop, eat and explore. The Woodlands park was beautiful!!
I've chose this hotel based on its location to the hospital that I needed to be at the next morning to see a cancer doctor. Anxiety level was very high and I did not know what to expect. But I got a good nights sleep and was well rested the next day. So I don't know how you would title this trip.... it wasn't business and it certainly wasn't pleasure:( BWP made it more tolerable :)
I stayed there for one night after a wedding and wasn't bad at all. The room we stayed in was nice and clean, but this location can definitely use an upgrade in decor. When you walk into the lobby it didn't feel inviting and it needed more lighting. I would recommend this location if you're needing a place to stay for a couple of nights. It's also close to some nice restaurants.
We were initially given room 216. If they give you that room, request a different one. It was horrible! Let's start at the top, the ceiling was half painted, the sprinkler head didn't have an escutcheon around it so we could see inside the ceiling, the walls were half painted, the bathroom light didn't always come on when switched on, the floor was literally uneven - don't even know how to describe that one, the bed was really hard, and we could hear every time the elevator moved or someone was on the stairs REALLY LOUD. We were in there half an hour before we decided to ask to switch rooms, which we have NEVER done before. The ladies at the front desk were really nice, though, and put us in room 204. This room was better, bed was still a rock and the refrigerator didn't work which was super frustrating but obviously it could have been worse. My only question would have been why they stuck us in that first room to begin with since there were so many other rooms they could have put us in? Were they saving the "good" ones for last minute bookings? Breakfast was decent and the staff were very friendly and tried to help but ultimately, we will not return to this location.
Best Western Plus provided a nice Woodlands location for our visit. Close to the medical facility, easy freeway access. The parking lot is well lit for security, and the lobby is bright and open. They also have several computers in case one needs to confirm flights or check amenities in the area.
We arrived at the hotel just before midnight to check availability with two children asleep in the car. The lady on reception was understanding, prompt and friendly in sorting a room for us. The room was clean and big with all the amenities you would expect. The rate included breakfast but we overslept and missed it. Great hotel and a welcome bed for the night.
The hotel was easy to get to and near plenty of shopping. The price was reasonable and the room was clean. Our only complaint was the person in the room above us. When he came in you certainly knew it. He walked like he weighed 400 pounds. I'm not sure if it was the hotels issue or the man but it was loud. Him coming in at 1 am was the worst but EVERY time he moved we knew it. Our stay was for 3 days.
This Best Western made it very easy to make a last minute reservation. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Love the soft pillows. I normally have a hard time sleeping in a hotel but their beds and pillows are very comfortable. I do wish they provided a warmer blanket. Always prefer to eat breakfast at the hotel and they have a nice selection. Love the waffles but also like that they offer fruits, cereal, Oatmeal and yogurt for a healthier choice. Eggs were a little rubbery so I didn't eat them.
Stayed Friday and Saturday night February 15 and 16th. The room was nice and it was clean however the building itself is poorly put together. We stayed in 216 and the room above us was so noisy with an adult, possibly a pet when it's not supposed to have pets and a child from what we could tell were walking around at all times of the night. There is barely any insulation between the floor and was very noisy at different times at night. This was the worst place I have ever stayed at that exhibited this kind of noise. You might want to find out who was in 317 above us and insure you flag them from staying there again. There was no barking but just footsteps pounding on the floor. Wont be staying there again.
Stayed here while attending The PTO Live Expo. Had a wonderful stay very friendly staff and very tasty breakfast!! I will definitely stay here again everything was very clean and the air worked so good!
Attended a meeting in the area. Hotel was clean, comfortable and extremely convenient with its proximity to my meeting locale. In addition, it was easy to get to and plenty of places to dine. Hotel was comfortable and clean. Met my needs perfectly.
Very rude manager and not that nice of a place. Very noisy from highway and very rude staff and unwilling to help. Staff charged unknowingly us $20 a night for our 11 year old daughter after calling me a lyer and manager unwilling to speak with me and having other staff lie for her.
For same money you better go for other hotel more clean friendly The laundry is dirty, they don't have safety boxes, the front desk service is poor, the outside is dirty too, Some times the hot water goes and comes ,the GOOD IT IS NOT PETS FRIENLY I Can comeback if only if in other hotel same price but better they don't have rooms.they don't give courtesy water
This is one of the nicest Best Western properties I have had the pleasure to stay at. I highly recommend this location if you are planning a stay in The Woodlands, TX. area. Very centrally located to all the medical facilities in The Woodlands are!
This is a very nice hotel located just off I-45 in the Houston Texas area. the room was very clean ans quite. There are some well know restaurants up and down the highway. The breakfast was good and had a large selection.
We stayed here while visiting friends living nearby. We stayed 2 nights. Breakfast was adequate but no meat offered on Sunday. Coffee maker in room did not work, and no coffee available in lobby. You have to ask for it, as well as having to ask for a key to the lobby restrooms. Room was fine, no luxury. Staff was friendly but no re ignition at all of platinum rewards status or water offered. Pallets of boxes were stacked in the lobby, but there was no sign or mention of renovations happening. Disappointing. I've stayed in much nicer 2 star hptels.
The hotel was clean, fresh and nicely appointed. Convenient to the highway, shopping, The Woodlands and local hospitals. We enjoyed the easy check in/out process. Bed was comfortable, lighting good and use of space is perfect. Internet was simple to access. Staff was welcoming. Ask for a room on back side if you are sensitive to highway noise.
Was in Houston on Business and was recommended to stay in the 'Woodlands" area so I chose to stay here...the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and well equipped, good Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel. Breakfast was nice with a healthy choice. The location is very good and just a short distance from Market Street and the Woodlands Mall where you can find great restaurants and bars...overall a nice stay and would recommend fellow travelers...
We will never stay here again. Beware they charge a deposit and takes days to get it back. 10 years ago a great place to stay, not anymore. Go to a different hotel with better quality service . Still waiting for our deposit back, they never tell you about a deposit.
poor policies, wont ever stay here again!!!!! They made me pay 150.00 in cash for deposit then made me pay for room the next morning because it was still pending in my checking account. Then I had to wait 5 days to get the money back in checking acct. crazy when you get all the cash up front...
I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a very good stay. The hotel is very hard - almost impossible to see - from the road. Signage is hidden. There was plenty of parking and the checkin and checkout processes were fine. The room was in excellent condition and quite comfortable and fairly clean. In the bathrooms there was dirt from a long time ago still piled up in the corners of the floor which tells me the cleaning staff does not pay attention to detail. However I noticed no other problems with cleanliness. The breakfast needs improvement although what I ate was quite good and more than satisfactory. They only had hard boiled eggs available and I would have liked to have had other choices. Same with the pastry. Only one choice and it did not appeal to me. Overall, very good stay. Issues I found were very minor. I would most definitely stay there again.
The room was spotless and the bathroom was very clean. The towels were absorbent and not threadbare. We ate the breakfast which was hot, plentiful and delicious. The pool was clean and we had a good stay.
if you pay for a room with a whirlpool, you expect it to work well. only 3 jets worked. broken gym equipment sitting in a corner of the lobby. I wouldn't stay there again. But hotels with an in room whirlpool tub aren't very vommon.
I am not sure how this Best Western is a PLUS. It barely is a Best Western. I understand that each of the hotels are independently owned and operated, but they still have the Best Western name. Ok, first, I recommend that you get a room on the back side of the hotel, away from the freeway. We were on the freeway side and it was OK, but it would have been better on the back side, next to Costco. Now for my complaints. The cleaning staff did not take out the trash, give us washcloths or give us new coffee supplies. You need to get these things right the first time. Some of the towels were clean, but stained. The tile in the bathroom was cracked, along with the grout. There was exercise equipment in the lobby for my entire stay. There was cracks in the ceiling of our room and the carpet was sticky. The clothes hangers could not be removed from the closet (come on, get some other kind so I can at least take the clothes hanger off the rod). The door locks were recently changed and I guess upgraded, but they did not take the time to paint the door where the old ones were at. Not exactly what I expect from a Plus hotel. And yes I have stayed in other Best Western Plus and Best Western hotels that were much nicer than this.
The property is basic and clean. Definitely ask for a room on the back side; the hotel is close to the expressway. Costco is to the rear and offers easy access to 242 through its parking lot. The computer with printer in the lobby did not work.
Booked online for a one night stay. The hotel would not allow me to cancel the room 14 days in advance. After reading previous reviews I asked for a room away from the roadway. When checking in I was told that we had the last room. I doubt that as the lot was near empty. Continental breakfast was good.
Next to I-45, near restaurants and shopping. Next to Costco for gasoline. Clean and comfortable. Senior rate. Breakfast included was adequate. No complaints. Room was updated. Plenty of outlets for electronics.
Very peasant staff and everything was tidy and clean. Food was great and was staff very helpful. Located in the middle of the southern Woodlands. Right off the main highway. Rooms were spacious and parking was plentiful.
I have stayed here twice for business trips to The Woodlands. The location is great and provides easy access to The Woodlands. However, it is critical that your room be on the BACK of this hotel. I recently stayed in a room on the front (nearest to I45) and the traffic noise was incredible. I didn't sleep well at all. In contrast, my previous stay was much better because my room was across the hall so on the backside of the hotel. There was a little traffic noise which is to be expected since you are right off of I45, but nothing like my room on the front side. The room was clean, didn't have that disinfected or aging hotel smell, the carpets were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The TV has a nice big screen and a good channel selection. The bathroom has plenty of hot water and there is a great adjustable shower head in the shower. The breakfast buffet is pretty good. There is a wide selection of breakfast food and fruit, so even if you don't like bacon and eggs you can always have a waffle, cold cereal, fruit, juices and oatmeal. the tortillas were tough but ok for making a breakfast burrito. I didn't use the exercise facility.
For this to be a Best Western Plus, I think I'll find another hotel to stay in next time I come to visit. There was no front desk help out front, the doors into the hotel were broken. Staff rarely spoke. Fire alarm was set off by staff member, no call to the room to say it was a false alarm.
Stay here before and no problems but this style wasn't good he dirty sheets, unvacuumed rooms. Only 2 towels total in room. Hope manager will take care of issues before they get out of hand. Follow your cleaning employee's
Had issues with maid service each day I stayed. One day they did not make the bed or clean the room, the next day they left me with NO TOWELS. The third day they never cleaned the room at all. The manager only made excuses about how they were short handed for the Thanksgiving holiday and how it's hard to get good help for minimum wage. These were the same excuses that they gave me during my stay the year before.
Room smelled musky, no shampoo, bed was hard as a rock, no butter at breakfast, with no one to ask for help. Staff at checkout seemed like could care less. And all this at the low low price of just $146 per night... OMG could it be any worse. I would have been disappointed had I paid only $39
The shower head was suspended by a plastic tie, no bracket ! The T.V. image was the worst flat screen picture I've ever seen on a Samsung T.V. The pillows smelled like dirty hair, like clean pillow cases were put on over filthy pillows. The air conditioner was impossible to adjust, so we turned it off completely. We've stayed here several times before and never had a bad experience... new ( and poor ) management ?
We were upgraded to a suite that slept 6 people, a little much for two people however we enjoyed the extra space. Breakfast was good but some items were wrapped in celophane instead of being locally sourced from a local bakery. I enjoy muffins but not those that are mass produced. The room was comfortable, it was large, the internet was flaky but most hotels have flaky internet.
Great place. Great location. Highly recommend staying here. Price was very worth it. Will be using in the future for all my needs in the area. Directly off the interstate and near all the fun activities. Easy to get to and find. Has everything a person would need on a trip.
Nicely updated hotel, the free breakfast was fully stocked, and the room had budget-conscious luxury. This hotel is situated just off I-45, so it is convenient for business travelers and families alike.
Terrible hotel stay. We booked online for a cheer competition. Called to ask for rooms next to each other or across from each other. We were all separated by one room on each end and one in the middle. No where close to each other. Once we got to our 3rd floor, the hall ac wouldn't work. If you tried to turn the ac on it immediately flipped the switch off and sparked. Our room carpet was sticky and there was food all behind the couch in the office area (as photoed below) The ac in our room was coming away from the wall (as pictured below) and you could see outside by the unit. We checked in with 4 guest and only had 2 bath towels in our room. Called down to front desk to ask for bedding for the sofa bed and towels, advised we needed to come down because she was alone and couldn't bring to our room. The bed was hard as a rock and the curtains were stained. Breakfast was terrible. Wanted a bagel but only 1 available and it had green mold spots on it. Settled for a waffle but the syrup was out. Asked for more and the lady huffed when answering us. Overall terrible stay and wouldn't recommend to anyone!
The Hotel was nice but very noisy. The Hotel is located next to the Interstate so the rooms facing the Interstate are very noisy. After getting a noisy room on the Interstate side, we changed to a room on the opposite side of the Hotel. However, the new room was noisy due to noise from the floor above. Every time the person in the room above us walked along the floor, it sounded like the ceiling was paper thin. The only rooms that would we good would need to be on the top floor away from the Interstate.
Floor pops & cracks when walked on & wakes you up. Room smells, outlets didn't work, toilet handle broken, curtains stained, bed too tall for a 5 foot person plus it was hard as a rock. Window caulking falling off and water stains on the wall around the window.
Booked throught hotels.com for $125.35 the hotel honored the reservation but not the price. I was charged $194.35 that's a $69 difference. When I contacted the hotel they said that was not there problem. They said I needed to contact hotels.com and get rude with them because that's what they do.
The staff was great, was very friendly, gave me everything i needed. The was breakfast choices were limited but overall the food was good. Very clean, very comfortable beds, the fridge wasn't working properly, and the pool was dirty.
Even though I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door, I was interrupted by both the housekeeping and the maintenance staff which caused me to interrupt my business calls. TV kept loosing signal every 5 minutes. The room and carpets were not clean and the tile in the bathroom was mostly cracked.
Easy come & Easy go from this Best Western location on I-45 in The Woodlands. Happy & friendly staff,I will return often.Well lighted parking areas, convenient to our visit and plans. Traffic noise did quiet down but in a city area of 4 million who can really complain, the location totally rocks.
We had to evacuate from our home due to hurricane Harvey we were tired it was storming we found hotel and lady at front desk was so sweet only 2 rooms left she got us in and since nothing open ate from vending machines. it was pouring outside and hoping it wouldn't flood here ac went off but not very hot so not too bad they brought us a fan and it helped wonderful breakfast in morning found out the lady at front desk had been there for 3 days doing everything laundry, clean rooms, answer phones, fix breakfast, and smile at everyone what a great experience she was wonderful and it hadn't been for her the hotel wood have been closed and people like us would have had no where to go as most roads were closed and no businesses were open. She really deserves a medal. And I hope Best Western appreciates the kind of employee they have I didn't get her name and feel so bad about not being able to thank her personally but I'm writing to BW to let them know THANK YOU BEST WESTERN you made a very stressful situation so much better.
the room was clean and functional. the staff did our best to make our imprisonment by the hurricane more comfortable. However, on the day we were supposed to hear whether the port would open, they checked us out at 6:30 at a higher than agreed-upon rate. The new woman at the counter seemed like an owner and wouldn't budge on the charges. When I asked to borrow the luggage cart so we could leave sooner and make room for local refugees, I was told to find it myself.
The staff were very professional during this major storm. Stayed at this hotel during a Tropical Storm and major flood event in the Houston area. Even short-staffed the stay was very good. Recommend this place.
Everything was good about staying there. It was around restaurants and the mall. It was very close to the woodlands pavilion. Very easy to get around. Driving there on interstate was horrible with traffic jams all over.
The Woodlands hidden specialty. Like all of The Woodlands, everything is behind the trees off the street. This is a little oasis in a busy area. It's a good place to stay for a business trip in the area. Access to and from the hotel is easier then many other hotels in the area.
Be careful when making a reservation at this hotel. They changed my reservation from a 2 queen bed to a 1 king bed just because I had reserved for two people. I never received a phone call to see if this would be ok. When I mentioned that it needed a two queen bedroom, I was told they changed my reservation to accommodate a group that came in. When I asked for a refund since I would have to go somewhere else and try to get a room. Was first told that they couldn't refund me. Had to talk to a supervisor to get a refund but will not get one till next week. This experience just reminded me to continue staying at the Holiday Inn. At least there, I know I'm considered a valued guest
Excellent staffing personal but the air condition would not cool down nor could we hear the tv. The breakfast was excellent. Checking in and out was a breeze. All personal was kind, helpful, and very experienced.
Kind helpful staff and clean rooms. Clean large pool and good amenities at this location. No problems with my stay. Easy to get to location and no problems with parking while I was there. Good selection on the breakfast.
I chose this hotel because it is close to the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion where I was going to see a concert. The hotel is clean and comfortable with reliable wi-fi. It is also next door to a gas station so getting road trip supplies was easy. Also, considering it is on the interstate, it was surprisingly quiet. I recommend it!
The first time I stay it was great. The second time I decided to stay two nights. The first night I was on the back side facing Costco. The room was nice and clean. You could hear people walking, the ceiling squeaks everytime somebody walks. I was up all night because the people above me kept walking back and forth. The floors need to be repaired. The manger let me move to another room. The refrigerator didn't work and the noise from the freeway woke me up.
The beds where comfortable and I like the pillows. The breakfast was ok. The pool was cold would be nice if it was heated. The cleaning staff did a good job and the lady at the front desk at night was really nice. The only thing I didn't like was when I got there the manager told the front desk lady to charge me more because I had 3 teenagers. He wanted to change it from kids to adults staying. Beside that I would stay again but make sure I paid before arrival.
My family and I were there for a week, Great location. Close to Sams club, wal mart The woodlands mall. Amber at the front desk answered any and all questions about the area. Super clean. Wi-Fi, the PC in the lobby was fast never had a problem printing boarding passes and such.
My steak was wonderful I enjoyed the staff they were very courteous rooms were clean the property was very quiet and they had a little picnic area and I had a great time there I have absolutely no complaints I would stay there again anytime I visit the woodlands area again
It is a very nice clean room. Easily accessible from I 45 and easy to get to shopping and restaurants in the area. I like the room to be very cool when I sleep. The air conditioner worked very well and the room was quiet, didn't hear other guests.
This hotel far exceeded my expectations for the price. It was nicer than some of the more popular, higher end hotels I have stayed at. The rooms, pool area, and entire hotel were vey clean. The staff was friendly, especially at check-in where I was able to get in quickly for a non-booked midnight arrival.
Clean, nice decor, wonderful staff, comfortable! Stayed here while attending family events. My nephew was graduating. Nice shopping & restaurants close by. The Market Street is expecially nice with covered parking.
The hotel had a terrible odor, the carpet was sticky as if it was shampooed improperly, it was so noisy we felt as if our bed was in the middle of the interstate & woke up with big bites. The air conditioning unit failed to keep the room cool. We had it set to 72 but the room never got below 78. Miserable Experience!
Rooms are wonderful. Beds were comfortable. The decor is really nice. Breakfast was more than ample with several choices of food to make anyone happy. Front desk clerks were friendly. Not much more you can ask for!
The hotel was very outdated after being told it is newly renovated. Rooms smelled had horrible odor smell of old rug and dirty curtains, carpet ripped up and soiled. Tried to modify one room from 2 night stay to one and rep was more concerned with what number I called instead of making changes. I asked for manager and was told by Donna that she was not there. After calling toll free number to handle the modification I get a call from the "manager". I thought kinda odd receiving a call 2 minutes later when you are supposedly at home. Smh...there were no coffee pots for coffee in room, warm showers turned cold while showering. Will not stay at this location again. Price not even worth the service
We always love staying here but mugginess and cleanliness of room caused some concerns. However, we found the hotel staff to be extremely helpful and accommodating! The complimentary breakfast was great!
The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, the room was clean. The only gripe is that every night at midnight or so, the tv started making a weird noise which could only be fixed by unplugging it.
If BW can get the humidity and moldy smell out of the rooms, this is a great hotel, with a great value. It is very conveniently located in The Woodlands, yet away from the conference center for a little more solitude.
Was checked into one room. I called front desk and she moved us to the room next door. In both rooms bed sheets had hair, dirt and other debris on them. Pillow cases as well. She then stated that the same housekeeper had made all the rooms on the 3rd floor. So she moved us to the first floor.
Very nice stay. Will definitely be back. We stayed on the first floor and the people above us walked alot (2:30 am) and we could hear every step. The bed was very comfortable!!!! I will tell my friends about Best Western Plus!!!
Although the bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, the AC in our room was not up to handling the Houston heat and humidity (even though it was only April) and the WiFi was unreliable. On the AC, it seems there wasn't much refrigerant in the unit. Concerning the WiFi, the staff worked hard to try to address the situation the first night but could not. On Day 2, after repairs had been made, service had been improved so we could use our laptop and devices. By the end of Day 3, however, we were back to not having any WiFi in our room. A typical breakfast buffet was included which was convenient.
Hotel was nice for the price. Staff was friendly. Hotel was clean. Hotel is located right off the i-45 frontage road which made for easy access. Make sure to exit through the Costco parking lot behind the hotel, it exits out allowing you to go under I-45 and head North. Only issue was internet was not working for the first few days.
Great location, easy to find and accessible to the highway. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bedding was very good. They offer buffet breakfast. The property is well maintained. The hotel is on the north side of Houston, and if you are going on the south side, it is a good hour drive.
Great location easy access to freeway and leisure spots. Cleaning lady cleaned room early due to my son. Breakfast was great with protein and bread. Our trip was both business and leisure, would definitely stay again and recommend.
Bathroom door rubbed frame every time you opened door also pillows were flat and pool looked poor. The front desk agent ran to check if my room was clean on arrival so from the outset it seemed they were unprepared to receive guests.
This hotel is such a find. Close to the Woodlands, convenient to shopping and attractions. The staff is gracious and goes out of their way to help you. I would stay here again. Make sure you give this property a try.
Location was great everything that I need was in a 10 mile radius. Hotel was good, staff was good. The only negative about room the lighting was deem. Needed to change light bulbs in room. Would recommend this hotel to anybody
Great hotel right off the freeway - staff was great - newer modern property - would stay there again. I was worried about hearing freeway sound and I didn't hear anything. Breakfast was good and the staff very pleasant
Staff was polite and helpful, rooms were quiet, clean, and no problems with my stay. They have a pool but closed for the season. On site gym is small but gets it done. Internet is good and easy to log on to it.
I was not able to book online. When I called the hotel directly to make a reservation, I asked for a quiet room. When I arrived I was told that there were only 2 rooms remaining and they did not hold a room on the 'quiet' side. I was put on the 4th floor in room 404. It was basically like sleeping with the windows open right next to the highway - the window did nothing to reduce road noise. I thought about sleeping on the bathroom floor because it was quieter in the bathroom with the door closed. If you are sensitive to such noise, choose a different location. Will not select again for my next trip to Houston. The decor was more updated and it was clean.
6:30 AM ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 9, 2016. Not handled properly. No direction given by staff. Everyone didn't evacuate. No fire company came to release everyone back into the hotel. It went off and people just filed back in. Clerk at the desk didn't even look up.
We had a room with a king bed and a sofa. The sofa was in bad shape, and we had to call the desk and ask for someone to change the sheets on the bed. We would not recommend this hotel. It is close to the Woodlands and I45.
The hotel is nice, but the internet is sketchy and the hotel is very close to I45 and the feeder road. Loud noises constantly of cars, trucks, motorcycles, and sirens. Use a white noise machine and/or earplugs. The room is clean, but I have a problem with odors and there was a sickly sweet odor in the room. I grew accustomed to it, but when I woke up in the night it was very bothersome. The mattress I had was not very supportive. Felt really cheap. But I was impressed with the hotel's cleanliness, breakfast and fitness room.
Nice room, Helpful staff. Had problem with refrigerator and manager had it fixed in 5 to 10 minutes . Breakfast was good and easy location to get to. Would recommend this hotel for the future. The End
I could have stayed at several other locations in the Woodlands but I why change locations when I have found the Best Western Plus to be just what I want. The people are friendly and helpful and the rooms have always been what I liked. If you are sensitive to road noise, you may want to ask for a room that does not face the freeway. If people with motorcycles are not out and about, then just about any room should do.
The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful! Very polite, helpful, and accommodating. They are the best! The hotel was clean and the rooms were very nice. Bed was comfortable with spacious bathroom. If you are in area and need place to stay, please give them a try.
They overcharged my credit card. The jacuzzi tub did not work. They did not offer to give any pillows for child who was on the hide-away bed. I feel overcharging a credit card is theft. Prior to this stay I was loyal to Best Western. No more!!!!
this was a perfect place for us to stay, as it was near our family gathering. The hotel was easy to find and to get in and out. The property is very nicely maintained, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A good choice; will use again.
I always stay at the Best Western Plus in The Woodlands. I have found the property to be well maintained and with a very helpful and courteous staff. It is well located along IH-45 and Tx 242 near shopping, restaurants, entertainment venues, etc.
I thought that the Best Western provided great value compared to area hotels. We stayed for 3 nights. The rooms were good size and equipped with a couch, refrigerator, and microwave. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly and it had easy access to the highway. The pool was just fine, but in this price range that is all I was expecting. I would definitely stay here again if in the area
I had a business trip, so I brought my family along. My daughters enjoyed the pool and had it to themselves. The pool was clean. The breakfast is included, which saved us some serious cash for a family of four. The room was just OK. I would like to say it was great, but there was a bit of a moldy odor and the TV volume wouldn't turn up high enough to hear on certain channels. The have a flat screen TV in the room, but the picture quality was bad. The coloring was too dark and kind of scratchy looking at time. I will say the staff asked about our stay and did attempt to fix the volume but was unable to. So I appreciated their effort. The bed was comfortable, the place was quiet, the bathroom (shower, sink and toilet) was impeccable. Front desk staff were very nice. Overall, for the price I really can't complain. I have to come back to town in two-three weeks and I plan to stay here again.
on a scale of 1-10, I would give this motel a 10 . and desk clerk Kimberly, she is off the scale..Best clerk ever. The room was very comfy and clean. When we walked in to the hotel I commented to my husband that it smelled so very clean. The maids were excellent and helpful as well. Breakfast choices were excellent.
Nice place - good breakfast - Location Location , Had a Costco right in back of the Hotel that is a + , Had a procedure on my lower back and needed a place to stay over night , My Wife and I really enjoy our stay !
This property is conveniently located just a few miles from the Mitchell pavilion in the Woodlands, The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast was hot and fresh. Nice rooms and a good value. I will be back here when I'm in the area.
Staff was helpful. Room was very clean. They were changing out the air conditioner as we trying to get into our room. Had to wait on that. Then there was a popping in the ceiling. Very loud and annoying. Could not rest. They did move us to another room. Did not get soap for our second night stay. It was easy on and off the highway. I would try them again.
From the moment we entered the staff greeted us, with kind words, and were eager to help get us checked in. Our room was clean, spacious, and even though close the the freeway extremely quiet (NO highway noise).
There were many problems during our five day stay at this Best Western Plus. The first thing we noticed upon entering our room was that there was an OVERPOWERING smell of room deodorizer, like Febreeze. It was so bad. We decided that it was probably used to cover up some other odor, as the rooms were not clean. On one night of our stay we received a call that the water would be turned off from 10:00 p.m. for two hours. Not a big deal. Well, by 7:00 a.m. the water was still not on. No one at the front desk could tell us when the water would be turned back on. We had to go to a gas station next door to use the bathroom. There was no offer of bottled water to drink or to brush our teeth. We ran to a nearby store to grab some water to get us by. Because the water wasn't working there was no juice or coffee at breakfast. When we went to the desk later to see if they planned on compensating us for our inconvenience, we were told that it was "out of their hands". The next day the hotel manager (I think), did inform us that she would credit us for one nights stay. That was about the only thing that went right during our stay. Breakfast was unappetizing. The bagels we ate were old. The yogurt in the little fridge was expired by eight days. When we brought it to the attention of the kitchen worker, she acted irritated. She got all of the old yogurt out and took it to the kitchen, but it was all back in the little fridge the next day. Gross. We also told the front desk about the yogurt. They seemed indifferent. One day during our stay we didn't leave our room until around 12:15 p.m. When we returned at 7:00 p.m. that night, our room had not been cleaned. We went to the desk to get some towels and toilet paper and the lady at the desk suggested that maybe we left out our "Do not disturb" sign. We didn't. The last day as we were checking out, the manager (I think) told us that she couldn't give us a receipt because we booked through Expedia. What??? When we asked her if she could at least give us the total, she said she couldn't. She said it was up to Expedia. Lies! To sum up this Best Western....It smells bad. The rooms are not clean. The food was old and expired. The management was not helpful. Do not stay at this hotel. It shouldn't bear the Best Western Plus name.
We were in Houston for a wedding and most of the out of town family stayed here. The rooms looked great and seemed clean when we got there. We stayed three nights. Not once was our trash emptied. The first morning, Friday, the cleaning lady was right next door so we figured we would stay out of our room so she could make up the beds and clean quick....Nope...2 hours later she was still in the same room. We went to our wedding and came back and nothing had been done. The next day they were at our door at 9:00 a.m. My husband told them to come back in 2 hours and we would be out of their way. We left for the day and got back....nothing was cleaned again. This time we complained because we needed new towels and coffee. The person on duty made us come down and get towels and coffee and 3 minutes later he was up in our room to look at what we were talking about. He said he would make a note. He emptied our trash and told us the manager would definitely handle it when we checked out the next day. He was very nice and apologetic. Next morning...no manager. It was up to us to call the manager during the week as they do not come in on the weekends. We called on Monday and got a terrible run around. The lady my husband talked to assured him she would call him back within the hour. No phone call! Finally - he called her 3 hours later and she was rude and unapologetic. We have another wedding in the area in November and will NOT be staying in this hotel. Whatever happened to just doing your job and being nice to customers? My advice...find a different hotel!
I have always had a great experience at The Best Western PLUS The Woodlands. I have been staying at this hotel for the past 3 to 4 years and would not stay anywhere else. The room rates are better than most in the area and keeping the property updated is a priority with the management. The staff has been top notch every time I have stayed there.
Excellent hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I felt extremely safe. The hotel offers great amenities with friendly and helpful staff. I was able to use the lobby printer, they had a great breakfast, gym options, and all in a great location.
This hotel was in a good location as we were in Houston for a wedding. Had 2 nights and was central to most things we needed. Restaurants and shopping. We also returned for another night a couple of days later after the wedding.Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good the afternoon free food was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. Couldn't fault anything. Would stay there again
We were first greeted by a lady who gave the impression that we were inconveniencing her as she made us feel rushed in pulling out our ID and credit card info. We tried a few times to call down to the front desk only to discover that the same lady was sitting outside the front entrance smoking (this happened several times over the weekend). One evening our room keys didn't work and my wife went to have them fixed. The man at the front desk never asked for ID when he gave her new cards. The keypad at the side entrance near the pool was inoperable but if you pulled on the door, it opened (unsecure). The ham at the breakfast buffet was never put on ice and sat there each morning uncovered. The room was musty and had poor circulation. The pool was set to open on May 1, but several guests were swimming several days before, so I assumed it opened early. On April 30, we were told it was still closed, however, the two days prior, I received towels at the front desk and said they were for the pool. Very unclean and unprofessional hotel.
If you are in North Houston and need a place to stay, this is it. The staff is awesome and accommodating. The FREE breakfast was delish, eggs were freshly made, biscuits were warm and soft. And you have plenty of options for restaurants near by as well as shopping. And it is right of the highway so easy to get around the city. Great place for an even better price
Easy access to the pavillion or the mall area for any events. We will be back again next time we hit up Buzzfest!! The rooms are clean, breakfast is pretty good. They have a pool and are Pet Friendly!!! Staff was great!
Hotel was clean and comfy and the staff were extremely nice and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to my friends and would definitely stay at a Best Western Plus again. Breakfast was awesome. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable to sleep on.
This hotel is conveniently located off of I45 and near all the hot spots in The Woodlands, Texas! My ultra clean room was spacious -- had a sleeper sofa, desk, LED Tv, mini fridge and microwave. The bathroom was well equipped and the hotel overall was kept well and very clean. I highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel was nice and clean, staff was nice. TV remote didnt work, but they did try to fix the problem. There was some traffic noise, but slept well. Breakfast crew could not keep up with demand, we ended up going out for breakfast
Overall decent hotel. The location was too noisy. You can hear the traffic from the highway and shopping centers surrounding the hotel. the breakfast was bland. Okay. Near shopping and restaurants, just too close too the highway. The beds were a little too firm for me.
This Best Western location is clean and their staff are very friendly. My chief complaints are that the "high-speed" internet did not work at all on my laptop and only barely on my phone, and that the noise from the highway outside made it a little difficult to fall asleep. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious, and I do feel like I got a good hotel for a relatively cheap price.
It was a clean property. The bathroom was very clean. The rooms were spacious and appeared newly renovated. The staff was friendly and the front desk excellent. Close to most dining and easy in and out to I-45. Very good value in The Woodlands.
The facility was beautiful facility. The entire hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous. The experience we had at this facility was excellent. We will use this hotel again. Thank you so much for the warm and inviting hospitality.
Great stay. This hotel is well located and easy access with a good choice of restaurants close by. We enjoyed the breakfast and found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable.
We were visiting family and stayed at the woodlands best western. they were GREAT!. I had traveled from NJ to okla, to texas........was sick at the Woodlands But they were terrific. Whatever was needed, they provided the help. The manager and kitchen service were excellent; Christina was so gracious. We were there for 5 days and my Texas family was able to meet there for breakfast some of those days, too. We will certainly stay there again; they were GREAT
Appears to be relatively new hotel. However construction and comfort are more like Super # or Motel #. Walls seem to have little insulation, noise from neighbors and freeway. Sink and bath drained slowly. MOST Important outside door to parking lot did NOT lock day or night! Good points: Staff was nice, morning breakfast good, close to hospital.
I am the team mom for my son's traveling baseball team, so I am the one who handles our travel arrangements. I always look for a nearby, clean, inexpensive and breakfast offering hotel. This one met all of our needs and had a very friendly staff. We were allowed an early check in and the breakfast was great! Plus, the group rate that we were given, was a steal!
Best sleep I've had in months! I loved the decoration in the rooms. The fitness center was the perfect size and the breakfast was delish! If only the waffle maker was working, then it would've been a perfect 10!
When I choose to stay in the Woodlands, I only stay at The Best Western Plus. I have stayed there many times in the last three or four years and will continue to do so. The hotel itself is very nice (comfortable beds, clean rooms, nice breakfast, etc) but what really keeps me coming back is the staff. I am always treated very well by the front desk personnel and it is nice to be remembered by them when I call for a reservation and upon arrival and departure.
No frills, no thrills. Very basic. Some limited amenities at next door convenience store. Take with you what you expect you'll need. A very minimal version of the Best Western Plus property - ice only on odd numbered floors. Toll roads to Bush International, 25 minutes away - but no air traffic noise to distrub sleep.
Haven't stayed in Best Western in years. I was very pleased with the cleanliness, décor, updated features in our room. Absolutely LOVED the shower. We were on the first room nearest the Houston freeway. I thought that was going to be awful, but they soundproof the rooms well because I got a great night's sleep.
The room was excellent, had to figure out the best way to exit to go South on 45, but once that was established all was good. Only problem was the Staff, Becky, at the desk was very unfriendly and unaccommodating. Looked like she was awakened by me being at the desk. Several times I walked across the Lobby and she never acknowledged me even once during my stay. When I checked out she wouldn't even move from her perch on a stool, to get my room card and give me a receipt, I had to request one from her, she was too lazy to even attempt to print one. I stayed 2 nights and had Breakfast 2 times, it was very good both times,
I always stay at the same place when I am in the Woodlands. I will not leave a hotel, to try some other place, when I am very happy with the one I have been staying. I have always had a wonderful experience with this Best Western. Of course there will be times when other guests are not as pleasant as they should be, but that will happen anywhere you stay. It is the hotel staff and the other standard reasons I keep coming back.
This hotel is right off I-45 the traffic noise is terrible hard to work and very hard to get any sleep. Exiting hotel is difficult especially trying to go dinner or needing to go south on I-45. Room was okay nothing really jumped out for the price you pay.
They have recently redecorated the hotel and it looks very nice when you walk in the front door. We stayed in the king suite with the hide a bed, the mattress tended to sink in the middle. It could use a mattress pad on the mattress to help a little bit. That area also could use a lamp and possibly a little end table.
We checked in late in the evening, staff was very friend and helpful. Hotel was very clean and so was the room. the room was very comfortable. A little larger than most standard rooms. Nice big bathroom with a light in the shower.
We stayed here for a weekend trip to the Texas Ren Faire. The room was clean. It had a fridge and microwave. The water in the shower was hot. Bed was comfy...pillows not so much...but still a good room. HBO didn't work...which was a downside...but happy over all.
I have stayed at this hotel before and have had issues with it. But it is the only reasonable priced one in The Woodlands. But I can tell you this I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN. First off I would re secure the floors through out the hotel. All I heard all night was squeaking and keep me from Sleeping. If I was to report it what could they have done? They do not flow through with request from guest. I would also make my staff accountable for their actions or request that guest give them. I let them know that HBO was not working in my room and the front desk clerk let me know someone would come up and fixed it. And nothing. No one came up and it was never fixed. I know its a little thing but I wanted to watch HBO. For what i paid for the room I would expect more. I got Motel 6 service here.
We were treated very well at the Woodlands, Texas Best Western. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. I we needed extra towels, coffee or anything, we left a note for housekeeping, and it was always there when we returned. That has been a problem at other places.
We selected this hotel among others mostly due to its proximity to the party we were visiting. It rained throughout the weekend. I would have enjoyed a dip in a hot tub (there was none) or a dip in the pool (only outdoors and it was raining and not heated) So I was left with a long hot shower which wasn't as enjoyable. The continental breakfast selections could be enhanced by using fresh local products instead of the corporate frozen and thawed variety.
When we arrived to check in - the front desk clerk looked like he literally just got out of bed. Didn't look clean, shirt half tucked in half out, hair a mess. So first impression - what have I done ? Got to the room - opened the door - and the smell was really bad! Tried to turn the air down to help the smell and cool the room - 68 the entire time and it didn't help the smell or the temp. The comforters had stains. The beds were terrible !! 2 nights of horrible sleep makes for a really long trip!!! The towels didn't have that clean bleach hotel smell -- scary !! The breakfast was very so-so. Waffles were twangy !!! Gross! Do yourself a favor and choose another place to stay!!!
This was a great hotel option for me. I needed a place near I-45 with easy access to the Woodlands. This hotel was a great value and conveniently located for my purposes. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was perfect.
I cannot think of one thing to be negative about! This is a lovely hotel, I experienced no problems whatsoever. The room is absolutely perfect, very modern. As for the noise level, I was on the lower floor facing the front, no problems whatsoever. Had no problems hearing anything from outside. Michael, the front desk clerk was very accommodating with information in the area and super friendly. In would definitely stay here again!
Ask for a room on the back side since freeway noise is significant. The hotel is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The air conditioner, bathroom fan and freeway made for a noisy room.
The room had a terrible odor and the staff was non existent at check out...10:00 am. Not worth over 100 dollars a night. The manager actually came out after several rings of the bell and commented "where is she?" and I told him I don't know but here are my room keys...I have to go. The comforter had stains on it and the tv was local channels only for the most part...not a good experience.
My friend and I attended a Church Conference in The Woodlands, Texas. Best Western was just what we needed! A small suite large enough to accommodate two ladies who needed space to 'spread out', a microwave, refrigerator, wifi, nice quiet room, safe, a good breakfast to get us going in the mornings, plus close to our meeting. Oh, and of course, affordable! We got IT all and more. Excellent staff; friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will stay there the next time we are in The Woodlands. Carole & Friend
Booked a room for the night of Mayhem Festival at the Cynthia Woods Pavillion. The location is very close to the pavillion and there is many places to eat nearby. The room was wonderful, the bed was comfortable, and we really enjoyed our free breakfast!
The entire stay was delightful. The staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. The new furniture looks very nice in the rooms. Kim at check in was very friendly. Becky at check out was very friendly as well.
This hotel has had some new upgrades. It could us more, it has a smell of mold/musty. The breakfast is OK, the sausage is not real, I did not care for the breakfast quality. They have pancakes and waffles, that was good. But if you want to eat healthy go eat somewhere else. The swimming pool was very cloudy, I would not get into it. What made me uncomfortable was the smell of the hotel in all. Other than that is would be ok.
One of the comforters had stains at the top where thy fold it down. It may have been clean but sure didn't look like it. The refrigerator had not been cleaned out. We won't be staying there again. Glad it was only for one night. My husband thought it was ok...he didn't see the comforter...
