Our room was in the basement of the hotel...dark and dingy and old. View out of the small basement window was the front grille of a vehicle. Hotel should advise quests at time of booking that room is in the basement. Hotel is very old, ice machines out of order, not a typical BW hotel
We stayed to separate nights on this trip. The first was in a standard double queen bed room which aside from desk chair being worn was otherwise clean and well maintained. Our second night on the return trip from BC was a suite which I booked using rewards point. It too was well cared for, aside from one minor detail which was immediately taken care of by the staff. The pool is clean and hot tub was relaxing after a long drive. The breakfast buffet is standard fare (eggs, pancakes & etc) and definitely up to BW standards. If you have any mobility or other concerns you may want to request a room either on the second (main) floor or on the first floor which can be accessed at ground level (some rooms have own exterior doors) as the hotel does not have a elevator.
Our stay here was disappointing to say the least. Upon checking out got charge a $500 smoking fee. When I explained to the manager that one in our group smoked in the room he laughed in my face. Incredibly unprofessional stay anywhere else! Bad experience overall!
Front desk service was quick when checking in. Able to get into room quickly. Pool towel just need to be restocked. Had reserved for a family of four. But only had 3 towels to dry off after bathing.
The Best Western Strathmore Inn was a pleasant getaway for my husband and I. This was part of our mini road trip vacation. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff were very nice to talk to.
Will always stay at this hotel in Strathmore. Best bang for my buck. Great beds. Swimming and hot tub. Oh and the breakfast is a great way to start a day.
This hotel fell below my expectations for Best Western and I will not return to this hotel. Our block of rooms was given away to other groups, so our reserved rate was not applied. Food was not the best for breakfast and we had lukewarm water for the shower.
Its a nice clean motel, good value. Stayed here a few times now. Breakfast has good selection of hot and cold It doesn't have an elevator so if you have mobility problems just ask for a room on second floor and you will be fine.
After a long day driving through winter weather we arrived at the Best Western. At check in the desk staff check us in but the room was not on the main floor. I explained to her that with all the luggage and small dog I didn't want stairs. She was able to change our room which gave me access to the parking lot. I parked right by our room, on a cold night it made unloading the car much better.
I spent six (6) nights at this hotel. Initially, this hotel was not all that busy, but as the Calgary Stampede arrived, this hotel became very crowded. A continental breakfast was served every morning from 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM; the breakfasts offered: hard-boiled and scrambled eggs, toasts, bagels, English muffins, fruits, juices, waters, coffees, teas, miniature doughnuts, muffins, cereals, pancakes, and some pork products. This hotel had a pool and a hot tub, and there was also a gym with a weight machine and some cardio machines. Although I did not use them, this hotel also did offer some vending machines and a few laundry machines. There was plenty of parking, and the hotel was within walking distance of several outdoor malls and many restaurants. The drive to Calgary was about forty (40) minutes long, and Banff was about two (2) hours away by a car. The staff and the other guests were friendly and I had many friendly dialogues. My room came with a television, free wifi, a desk, chairs, air conditioning and heat, a bathroom, a microwave, and a refrigerator. The beds were comfortable. When my room was not serviced by the housekeepers on my first (1st) night, I spoke to the front desk agent, and the staff was very attentive to make sure that my room got serviced on all of my other nights at this hotel. I would stay at this hotel again if I ever returned to this area.
The breakfast was very good and started from 6:30 till 9:30 so you had lots of time to leave for the road early or sleep in for a couple of extra hours. The rooms were very clean. The only thing was the mattress has seen better days ,maybe turning it over would have made my sleep more comfotable. They had a great Hot tub and fairly large pool to relax in after your day on the road.it Opens from 9am till 10 pm so lots of chances to try it out.
Friendly service affordable prices.great sleep in comfortable beds. Nice TV easy to figure out. The shower worked great, lots of hot water. I have always searched until I found the front desk phone number as you will be talking to a local oerson .thus came in good use when we were list in a town ghat we were unfamiliar with. The font desk clerk was able to guide us right ti the front door of the hotel
I was so pleasantly surprised with this hotel. For the price I wasn't sure what I would be getting but what I got was great value. The hotel is clean, quiet, and feels safe. There was ample free parking and a pretty decent free breakfast. I was traveling solo and I didn't even bother to put my door alarm on. The front desk staff and management are kind and were very understanding when I checked out early but then called back a few hours later and changed my mind as my flight was delayed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Oh and the beds were really comfy!
This hotel is great. It is located only 30 minutes outside Calgary on Highway 1 but the prices are cheaper than Calgary prices. It is well maintained and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is delicious and the internet great. The area is quiet and the beds are comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at this, clean, well-appointed BW hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Our huge king bed, fireplace & jacuzzi suite was excellent. Not only was it spacious, but well laid-out for a very relaxing stay. The bathroom has the jacuzzi tub but also a separate walk-in shower! There's even a little 4-seater dining table. The hotel's selection of TV channels was very good. Though we didn't use it (we had a nice, in-room jacuzzi tub after all), the hotel has a big indoor pool. The breakfast room was also a good size, and we were very pleased with the selection of breakfast items. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and said good morning to us, the sign of a well-run hotel. We'd stay here again in a flash!
Decent pet-friendly rooms available that have direct outdoor access. Room was basic but large and clean, breakfast included was nothing special but had a variety of options. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling with pets.
It was very short notice , but they were awesome and very friendly, I had to stay in town due to highway closure, they made me feel very welcome, will definitely stay there again , staff was so nice, very clean hotel
We decided to stay in Strathmore, cause it is the closest accommodation to visiting the Giant Dorito in Cheadle Alberta! This point of interest item was worthwhile the drive from Edmonton. It is a huge Statue of 3 fingers stained with orange, holding a huge Dorito!! It is only here temporarily, so it was definitely a “must see” on our bucket list before the snow fell!!!
Booked a pet friendly room through central booking. Arrived late and forgot to double check with the front desk upon arrival about my dog. When staff discovered the dog the next day, they treated me like a criminal and threatened to charge me $500 for being a liar and attempting to hide my dog. I had to get fairly firm with the manager to explain the situation. When I book a pet friendly room over the phone, I expect one. Yes, I should have remembered to mention the dog upon check-in, but their combative approach to the issue was not helpful in the slightest. The room was a suite and was nicely laid out. It had clearly been renoed recently, but the walls and some of the amenities are dated. The room stunk like stale water and mould. At least the AC blew nice and cold!. I will not be staying with this location again.
lots of issues with the complimentary breakfast and lack of sanitation, I dislike flies being present is a dining area no microwave to heat or reheat food or beverages tables and service area never wiped during our visits, the offerings of eggs and turkey patties was so unpalatable we were to a nearby restaurant for a meal.
Stopped here on our honeymoon travelling through Canada and had a great stay. Staff were friendly, room was very nice and clean! Place was quite modern and in a good area. Will definitely stay here again in the future when travelling through!
This little gem was a pleasant surprise for our trip home after spending a month exploring Canada from Ontario to Vancouver Island. When we arrived and checked in my wife put our luggage on a cart and as I parked the car the young fellow on the desk came out and helped her to our beautiful room . Wow , ya don't see that too often . The room was clean and well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. There was the convenience of having the Roadhouse Restaurant and Saloon with great food right behind the hotel and the security of having an RCMP Barricks right beside us. Breakfast in the morning was great. Our only regret was not knowing about this hotel on out way out to BC instead of staying right in Calgary for a few days . Out of the 20 something hotels we stayed in during this vacation this hotel ranks #1 with us !!
The Most luxurious Best Western room we have ever stayed in. Extremely well designed and everything you could want for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and dreamy king bed all made for a great stay for my sister and I.
The hotel's location is extremely convenient (right off Hwy #1) and the entire staff is friendly and helpful - I would absolutely recommend staying. The included hot breakfast is a great way to get the day started!
Hotel is clean, kind staff and great options of rooms for families. The best part was their dairy free and gluten free options. Was amazed that a hotel finally had things I was able to eat. The room we stayed in had two bedrooms, making it easy for our family to do what works best for us!
The customer service was excellent. Ryan at the front desk went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The Best Western is definitely the “Best” hotel. Thank you! Karen
Friendly staff, clean rooms, everything I needed. Breakfast was good but wish there was bacon. Checking in and out was easy. Access to everything was easy. Restaurants and gas stations close by. Located right on the highway.
Everything you would expect in a Best Western Hotel. Very good Breakfast. Hotel is clean, Staff are friendly. Hotel is visible from Trans Canada Highway. Rooms are clean. Finish in the Rooms is well done. Bathrooms well stocked.
Best Western Strathmore is the right location for 1 night stay between Winnipeg and Vancouver It is close to Hwy 1 --clean -reasonable price hotel also good breakfast internet T.V .This is a excellent hotel for stay one night or more than one night
The hotel was clean comfortable ;staff were friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast provided everything needed and was clean and well kept . We enjoyed our stay at the strathmore best western and recommend this hotel
I enjoy their suites. They are large, comfortable, clean and a nice place to relax. A short drive from Calgary and the price is better than the Calgary hotels. The breakfast had lots of options, was hot and filling.
The room layout was very well thought out, with a separation wall for families. The staff were very helpful. Even though the hotel was full the weekend that I was there, it was still quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here 4 nights a week for a few months. The staff are always happy. Good breakfast too! There are a few good restaurants nearby. The fitness room is clean and well equipped. Good location and close to everything
We travel regularly to Strathmore from BC to visit family.and enjoy our stay at the Best Western every time. On our last trip we got a corporate suite, a one bedroom with a king size bed, a fireplace a comfortable living area and a large jacuzzi tub. Very comfortable. Breakfasts are very well done, fresh with lots of selection and including hot items. Wonderful staff, always helpful and friendly. Would recommend the Best Western Strathmore for anyone looking for accommodations in Strathmore.
Great place to stay - rooms are clean and the staff is friendly - great breakfast - internet and pool and fitness centre - thumbs up! We will stay here again. We stay here at least once a month and its always good - Thanks Best Western!
Chose the Strathmore location over Staying in Calgary, The pleasant, friendly and helpful people made the commute back and forth to Calgary worth the travel. The Old Downtown area with the parks made for great sightseeing walks in the evenings.
We were in Strathmore for a wedding so we were oart of a block of rooms. The lobby was very quaint and the hotel was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good. We had a problem with the shower, when we reported it to the front desk it was taken care of within half an hour. The one negative is the hot tub seemed to be being refilled on the Saturday morning so we could not use it (waited about an hour & a half but were told still not usable)
Do not stay here if you are planning to use the pool or want great customer service. We had two rooms booked for six nights and we ended up leaving to go to Days Inn instead. Manager would not let kids jump in pool and yelled at kids. There was no diving allowed, which was clearly around the pool. But apparently jumping into the pool with cannon balls wasn't ok for the manager. He was extremely rude to the point that I asked him to make things better or we would leave. He continued to threaten to kick us out if kids didn't stop having fun and splashing in the pool. He claims this is a private pool so he can decide what is ok and what is not in the pool. So if you want to have fun with your family or group, don't bother staying here as customer service is terrible.
Unbelievable, kids were doing cannon balls into the pool and he came in threatening to kick us out of the pool and hotel because there is no “jumping into the pool”. Told us to read the walls (no diving is all that's stated) and we are threatened to be kicked out due to no jumping. Unbelievable… stay away!
This was a very clean hotel. We had an issue with the air conditioner not working but the nice man that did our check in at the front desk came and fixed it for us right away. The room was a perfect temperature and the beds were so comfortable. We will definitely stay again!
Strathmore was the right timing for our stay on our trip west. We only needed to stay one night. This hotel is dated - our kid thought the direct access to room from the car was funny. Room was mostly clean. Breakfast is available with basic choices. The front desk clerk also did the breakfast prep. One thing they may want to work on -- she wore her rubber gloves from the breakfast area to the front desk where she touched things there then returned to the food area without switching gloves! Basic food prep/hygiene.
It looks like a old motel but it's fixed up really nice and the service is excellent. Staff were friendly and rooms we excellent. Breakfast was a very good selection. Have no issue staying here again.
I was Moving from Newfoundland to BC (military) and I was looking for a place to stop before hitting the mountains. I have to say it's a way better location to stop compare to Calgary because it's a small quiet community where you can get a good rest (not very noisy). if you are traveling with a trailer they have a couple nice spot in the rear of the building to accommodate you. The front parking could use some leveling though but is fairly big to park big pickup trucks. Also the Hotel is right next to the roadhouse restaurant with excellent steaks, brisket, local craft beer, etc. I would definitely go back there in the future if I ever travel this way.
I've stayed at the Best Western Strathmore Inn at least five times, and it's my favourite. Travelling with a pet isn't the easiest, and having a room with direct access outside adds a lot of convenience for me. The room is always clean, spacious and has all the conveniences I look for at a hotel room. The price can't be beat either!
Travelled with a small dog and given a room with outside access which was great. Room was large and comfortable- we will stay here again. Area has easy access to the highway and there are a number of eating choices in the vicinity.
Loved the location. Easy access to dog walks restaurants, hwy 1 and all other amenities. Felt very safe with RCMP station right across the road. Room was clean. Location was nice and quiet and the front staff were a pleasure to deal with and were always very helpful. I would stay there again next time I am in the area.
To begin with, I was very well received upon arrival by front desk staff. Checkin was easy and quick. The front desk person used my name when speaking to me, and finished off registration by providing a bottle of cold water, which was a treat, as I had arrived by motorcycle on a warmer day. My room was very comfortable, and very quiet. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of selection. I chose the hot items. Checkout was quick and easy. I will definitely stay at Best Western Strathmore again.
Just a great stay. Needed to get out of the big city for a few days to relax. The staff were amazing at the Strathmore BW. Pool was great as there were not a lot of people using it and it was clean. For the price of the suite I had, I would have paid more.
This is a good place to stop for the night if travelling the Trans-Canada highway across Alberta. This hotel is right beside the highway. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything looks attractive. The breakfast was good (and we were thankful that they resumed breakfast service now that pandemic restrictions have been lifted).
Well prepared room leaving no doubts re. sanitary requirements, pleasant staff, tasty breakfast very good experience overall. Convenient check in on line, express check out. No restaurant but for an overnight stay on the road an excellent choice in this price range.
We had an interesting trip. When we first arrived the air conditioner in our room made a horrible screeching noise. As we were heading out for a few hours, we notified the front desk of the issue. When we returned we were contacted by the front desk and they said they could not get anyone to come in and fix it for a week. Which we understood completely. Strathmore is a small town and is often hard to get needed services. We said we would be fine with the room and just not use that Air Conditioner (there was another one in the bedroom). At first they offered a lower priced room, however we wanted our jetted tub. When your old like me you get a sore body and a jetted tub feels amazing. So we declined and stayed in our room. However, a few minutes later, the front desk called again and offered us a more expensive suite for the same price we were paying. We of course accepted. Everything was great, the air conditioning worked and we were able to do continue the enjoyment of the jetted tub.
Great hotel with great staff with a pool and hot tub and they feed you breakfast too. This is my go to when ever I visit this lovely community. Great location and excellent value, definitely worth being a Best Western member.
Quick check in, very friendly staff. The room was very clean and fresh smelling. Bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Would definitely recommend this hotel for your needs. Could not ask for a nicer cleaner place. Breakfast was a great start to the day.
Very clean and we liked the ability to park right outside our door. Friendly staff and efficient check in. The bedding needs to be upgraded to duvets, but otherwise it is adequate. We would stay there again.
A comfortable quiet place to stay. Excellent staff The owner can be proud of this hotel. Have stayed at this property on a number of occasions and each time I've been impressed. I highly recommend this hotel.
Checked in about midnight on Saturday feb 20th to the nicest night front desk agent. He was so friendly and glad to see someone still dedicated to his job and customer service. Beds were comfy. Left in hurry in the am and front desk agent in the morning bagged me some muffins to go. Looked like a nice breakfast. We stayed at days inn on the way to our trip and best western was better - gave water bottles to best western rewards members, better service, offered breakfast and softer beds. Best western is a good choice for a quick stop on the highway! Thanks!
Check in was quick, friendly & eazy. Breakfast was fantastic. I stay at many hotels and with covid-19 I was getting tired of bagged breakfast. It was nice to have a hot breakfast. I stayed on Halloween night and it was nice and quiet to sleep. I will make this place my place to stop.
Rooms are tired. Bed was covered with two thin sheets and the very thin sad blanket you could imagine. No comforter, not thick blanket. Bed was lumpy from use, so I suspect old. Bathroom so tiny and dim. The door of the bathroom actually stopped right in front of toilet so you had to sit crooked! Bathroom so small if you did want to close the door you had to brush against the toilet,, : (. But it was clean and it had a microwave and fridge and coffee maker that all worked nicely. nice to have outside access for the pet room. I also wonder do people with pets always get the old dingy rooms?
I travel for business, often in the area. Normally I stay in Calgary, this time as I was travelling East after meeting in Calgary I decided to stay in Strathmore. An excellent idea. The hotel is placed on the main road but back far enough so it is easy to access yet far enough back there is little street noise. The parking is expansive. It shares a lot with many amenities so you can walk to get anything you might want to have in the room or go out for a bite (nice to be able to walk after a day of driving rather than have to drive again for food). Staff was extremely thorough and courteous, the best I have ever experienced. And in a pandemic it is nice to be out of a major centre, the hotel is close enough to use to make meeting in Calgary without undue challenge and it also avoids morning and evening rush hour traffic.
The reasons for choosing the Best Western Strathmore were that it met three important criteria: 1) Not in Calgary - a potential COVID-19 hotspot during our stay, 2) Pet Friendly, and 3) mid-priced. While not brand new, and dominated by earth toned everything, the room was clean and comfortable enough and the beds were fine also. Among the positives were that the room was among the more spacious that we'd had during our 7-day road journey from Southern Ontario to BC. The room included a small desktop and adjustable workstation chair was an upholstered sitting chair. We had our take-out dinner on the table using the workstation chair and an Ottoman for seating. The room temperature is controlled via a wall thermostat (thank goodness is becoming increasingly common) and there is ample counter space in the bathroom. As seems to be consistent from Northern Ontario and Westward the mini-fridge seem quite capacious. This is certainly different compared to the places I normally stay for business travel (mostly major chains in the US). The television is a modern narrow bezel flat-screen with HD cable, it is a bit on the smaller side compared with most we had during our trip. As is common with mid-priced hotels, there is but a single night stand between the two queen beds. One nicety was the availability of table height AC and USB charging outlets. Check in was efficient and the attendant seemed quite friendly during the 5-minutes (max) that we interacted. We were given our room keys and told to reach it by going back outside, and not to use the interior hallway. We had a room on ground level with an exterior door on the East side of the building. We were also given a couple of forms to fill out to select our bagged breakfast and told to bring them back by 10PM. Regrettably, we surrendered to the comfort of the room and never returned the forms so no breakfast for us in the morning. A couple of generic 'default' breakfasts on hand would have been nice. On the more mediocre side were that our door didn't actually fit flush. If you refer to the photos you'll see the light coming in through a gap near the bottom of the door. The door seemed warped, like someone had slammed it against something jamming the base of the door at some point. The vista out the window and door is the back of the strip mall across the parking lot, not exactly a holiday view. Finally, going back to the title of the review, the evening we were at the Best Western Strathmore, the lot was filled with commercial vehicles from vans and pick-ups to large vacuum trucks. While the vehicles themselves were not problematic, many of the all male operators had congregated outside a few doors to enjoy each other's company and have a few pops. Still not a problem. Unfortunately, some of the 'boys' were a bit forward with their invitation to my young adult daughter to join them. Nothing rude, but she was discomfited. I mention this only as information should a testosterone heavy environment be a potential consideration. (The local RCMP detachment is right across the street so I doubt it ever really gets rowdy, plus its proximity might be a reason for those with expensive commercial equipment to choose the the Best Western.) In summary, the room was comfortable enough. The grounds are definitely industrial-ish and I would accept staying here again. I would also, however, evaluate alternatives.
I was expecting more from a Best Western hotel, but the room was adequate. The pillows were not great but they seldom are in a hotel room. Our room was on the second floor and there was no elevator. The temperature was too warm - the suite we had was not designed well. the bathroom was not central and the air conditioner was also not central which didn't give sufficient privacy or temperature control. There was an adequate bagged breakfast because of Covid- nothing great.
Staff very friendly and courteous. No elevator, so if you have large bags or a lot of stuff, you'll need to use the stairs. Staff will take it up for you. The pillows they provide are hard and one stuffed. If you like waking up with a kink in your neck, then they're great. Went to Walmart to buy a couple pillows that were acceptable. Bed mattresses were comfortable. The breakfast that they said they provide is just aa few items in a bag for each person due to COVID.
A very high Covid 19 protocol is followed by this hotel which was appreciated. The room was spacious with comfortable beds ,amenities in bathroom and a bagged breakfast to go.We were required to wear masks & they provided sanitized pens to sign in ,the bed had no bed spread to prevent Covid19 virus.
Amenities are excellent. Swimming pool is open and available provided you reserve a time slot for your family only. Although breakfast was provided in a bag it was nicely done and thought out. The last Best Western we were at we had to line up to get a cover for our coffee cup. Here the coffee cup covers were wrapped in Cellophane in advance and put on top of the cup and then sealed. No waiting because they thought it a out. Front desk extremely Pleasant and helpful. I give it a four out of four stars.
Very efficient and friendly staff. There had been an Internet error regarding my arrival date on my original booking. Once discovered days before, the hotel staff was very accommodating to allow me to stay at the proper date for no additional charge, and I was even given an upgrade!
Hotel was clean and the front desk guy was very friendly and efficient. The bed was comfortable This is a convenient location with lots of free parking They have put together take-away bagged continental breakfasts during the covid restrictions which was a nice touch. I would stay here again when in Strathmore.
Excellent hotel - clean room and excellent service - my go to when I am visiting friends in Strathmore, great staff, great location and great T.V. Will definitely be back on my next trip. Even got a grab and go bag upon checkout
We were very impressed with our recent stay, especially during Covid. Room was exceptionally clean and we felt the hotel went above and beyond to make sure guests felt safe during Covid. Breakfast was very well thought out and available for contactless pick up in the morning. Would definitely stay again and will recommend to others.
Very careful and systematic approach to keeping staff and guests as safe as possible during these uncertain times. I appreciated their attention to details. A 'take out' breakfast is a disappointment, but done with an eye to safety for us all.
Very clean and sanitized during this Pandemic, Price for the room was above and beyond more than fair. Proper PPE was worn by staff at all times and the staff were friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to get the biggest bang for their buck and spend some time away from the Pandemic, even if only 2 nights.
Really enjoyed our stay at this best western. Room was very nice and clean. always been a hilton stayer. But will be staying at more best westerns from now on. Beds and pillows were real compy Great breakfast to start our day
Stayed here a couple times for hockey tournaments and the staff are always very accommodating, even for larger groups! Only complaint I would have is that they don't have a conference room that can be rented. Rooms are clean.
This hotel was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! We were moved from room to room 3 times within 12 hours. The first room was so loud that no one slept all night, when I complained they agreed and said yes that room is terribly loud, then my 7 year old daughter helped me haul all the luggage upstairs to a new room (no elevators and the rest of the family was at hockey) got everything in there and the room smelt absolutely terrible. they then said, said oh yes the bathroom was just painted you'll have to move again. When moved to the 3rd room I asked for a free nights stay or some compensation as I was extremely irritated by this time. At checkout I was given a $20 discount. Pathetic. I will never stay there again and I advise anyone against it. Terrible customer service.
Well situated in Strathmore, Alberta, this hotel is a welcome break from the long drive on Highway 1 coming from the east, before you get into the rush of Calgary. Much more cost friendly than in Calgary too. Friendly helpful staff, an excellent breakfast, and a relaxing hot tub make this an ideal spot to stop and relax.
The staff are all great and very kind. The rooms are clean and smell good. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful and the hot tub is very relaxing !! The internet is very reliable and I the temperature of the room is very easy to control.
First, the desk staff was great and fast. I was ion my room within 5 minutes of walking into the lobby. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable and the Wi-Fi very adequate for my work needs. The coffee in the breakfast room was fabulous!
The lady at the desk was pleasant. The room was clean. Breakfast was varied. We had a pet friendly room which was appreciated. I was concerned/perturbed by the alley/ parking lot that the ground floor room accessed directly
Over the years BW Strathmore has never disappointed. They continue to include breakfast, even with GF options, well maintained property, ample sized rooms, a hot tub & pool that function & fantastic staff! Thank you!
I have stayed at this Best Western off and on for over 15 years. I was impressed with the renovations and updates since my last visit. Staff was helpful as always and a you are only minutes from a wide variety of restaurants
Rooms are very clean. Rates are very good. Staff were very helpful and answered all questions I had. Hotel is very easy to access and has lots of parking available. Breakfast items are good and a good selection to choose from.
I've been staying at this hotel for over 16 years now. Always predictable, friendly staff very clean and quiet. Very well maintained. Lots or parking for trucks and trailers. Safe parking lot, never a break in. The best place to stay in Strathmore.
I was extremely disappointed in this stay. The night before I had stayed at a Best western in Calgary and they had a promotion on that if you stay in a best western 2 nights over a certain period of time, you earn a free night. After a long day in Calgary, I was headed home. Along the highway I was pretty tired and thought maybe I should take advantage of the second night and then earn a free night to use later. I arrived and asked the desk about the promotion and asked if it would apply. They said it would. I said I needed a 2 queen bed room for me and my kids. They indicated they had rooms. I went to get my kids and came back to check in. The desk lady offered us a "free upgrade" to a room that was supposed to be a suite. She said it was two queen beds and but the room is seperate into two rooms. Seemed great! We do the long check in process and I pay, NOW she tells me that i will get my voucher for the free night within a week, but it has to be used within 70 days. I was taken back by this as I have no plans to travel anytime soon, and one of the only reasons I chose to stop was due to this promotion. I was upset but tried as now we had been doing check in and what not for over 45 minutes. We go to room and it is small, old, dirty, and two double beds. My two teenage boys didnt come close to fitting together comfortably on one. This room was not at all close to the standards of best westerns I have stayed in before. Desk lady told me there is only one other room available and it is way back in the basement and even worse then the one she gave us. We decided to try make it work. The rooms heat/colling system is a disaster. Due to the wall, the heater and air conditioner is in one room, and the thermostat in in the other. So the room was either 3 degrees, or 40. Nothing in between. My kids kept waking up upset cause they were so cold and then way too hot. My room was so noisy from the fridge that rattled all night and the noise in hallway that didnt quit. I switched beds with them at 245 am. I couldnt beleive how inconsistant the heating was. We had two flimsy blankets for the 3 of us, no spares in closet. Needless to say, we paid a bunch of money to stop in a hotel and get no sleep. At 6 am, we decided to get the heck out of there. I told front desk staff my complaint, although they were nice, they said they could only give me $15 off my room rate. Whcih is better then nothing but they shouldnt be renting rooms like that out in the first place. We didnt even sleep. This hotel is not at all up to the best western standards I am used to and I will never return. I should have just kept driving, saved my money, and stayed in my bed which was just two hours down the road.
Had to make an emergency trip to Strathmore from Abbotsford. Charged 3 hours extra After staying 3 nights cause my wife and I were tied up in a emergency family meeting and informed the front desk staff of this and we might be a little late. Asked for a late check out and said only way was to pay almost the full night rate. I've stayed in many MANY hotels and motels over the years due to work. But for this family emergency trip this actually had to be the worst hotel and experience I've ever had. Might have to Airbnb it before staying at this BW ever again and I'm suppose to be coming back to Strathmore for a week every month for the next 18 months due to this family situation.
Was a great hotel. Very friendly people. Breakfast staff was especially awesome, front desk very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again. Pool was a bit cold, but kids jumped in and had fun anyways!
Better than fantastic. There are too many positives to list them all, but here goes: #1 The most comfortable Bed we slept on during Stampede, because it did not dawn on me too reserve rooms for Stampede we were had to search out a new room every night because Hotels were booked solid even in the surrounding communities of Calgary during Stampede, even as far out as Strathmore. We stayed in all of the other hotels in town and the Best Western is Light Years ahead of any other accommodations in Strathmore, or Okotoks. Beds were Kings and so Verry comfy. The Continental Breakfast is one of the best we have experienced in any hotel, anywhere. Fantastic! We stayed at Days Inn the first night, and the Days Inn breakfast was brutal. The staff at the Best Western is top notch in hospitality, helpful; got us a room overlooking the car. Everybody is so pleasant at the BW. Neither of us had stayed at a Best Western for many years, I am so jealous because I feel we have been missing out on this great Hotel experience. There is a cool railroad restaurant in the parking lot c/w a nice bar downstairs, a character bar and only 100 steps away. The room was only $13CAD more than Days Inn, but easily worth the money. I worked out of town my whole life, I am telling you this Hotel is a true hidden Gem with a pool. Loads of parking with a great staff.
We enjoyed our night at the Best Western Strathmore Inn, and especially the Queen Suite which offered a separate room for the second bed. Everything was included in this room: coffee maker, fridge, microwave, parking, breakfast and a pool and hot tub. The price was good and the sleep excellent. A highly recommended place to stay. Cheers, Paul
We stayed one night as we were passing through this area. The hotel was very clean as was the ro om. We had a problem understanding the heating controls but we called the desk and the lady came to our room immediately and showed us how.
i always stay at this location , even when i come for business in calgary, staff and location is the reason we stay and the breakfest , the staff make us feel at home from the cleaning staff to front counter and kitchen staff.
We stayed 3 nights and for 2 nights our room was not even made up even after putting up the sign to make up the room, infact someone turned around our sign to dnd. Luckily I took the picture both morning with that sign on the door. When I called the front desk they send someone to fix the room while we waited there on first night , second night when I called front desk Nada told me she cannot do anything now I asked for a manager she said he will be available in the morning when we check out, however next morning when checking out Caio told us that Alban the manager is actually on vacation. So not only they provided bad service they lied as well . What a terrible experience from this hotel. Some pictures attached as well how our room was made up on second night.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were upgraded to a suite. We loved having two rooms with two tvs. One for each of us. We had a microwave, fridge, living room and bedroom. Room was very clean. Continental breakfast was very good. Big variety though the pancake machine was not working but they did replace it with a waffle machine. There were cheese omelettes, sausages, oatmeal, etc.
Got a room, that until my second day stay, had no power. No lights, no fridge, no alarm clock, no T.V. and no air conditioning. When I mentioned it to the front seat clerk I got the feeling he blamed me for no power and all I got from him is oops sorry for that. For what I paid, They could at least have power. Not impressed and will not stat again unless this is fixed. Front desk (day)staff are rude and not very friendly.
I stayed here when moving to BC from Ontario, and it was the perfect place to stop. Very comfortable room and a lovely bed, super fantastic dinner with a very varied and elevated menu. Would highly recommend!
Nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly. I forgot something in the fridge and they retrieved and held it for me on my return trip. Breakfast was very good. Access is easy. I didn't get to check the pool for fitness facility
First time staying here. Staff very accommodating, friendly and ready to help. Rooms were perfect for my needs, Especially the parking outside my door. Would not hesitate to stay here again. Bang for the buck.
This is a very nice hotel and reasonably priced. We are a family of 5 so usually have to take a suite which can be pricey but not here. Very clean, well organized/equiped room. The pool was large enough to do laps with towels available and a sitting area. The hot breakfast contained a nice variety of options and tasted great. This is a family friendly hotel and I would highly recommend it!
This is probably the large hotel room I have stayed in. We were moving my daughter home andand had several things that could not be left outside in the freezing temperatures. We had several boxes of electronics and liquids, and a bicycle, and there was still room to move around. Hot breakfast was good. We asked for restaurant suggestions and were given a menu that was outdated. Prices had increased when we got to the restaurant.
The staff was fantastic, the Hotel was quaint and the pool was great. Breakfast was good as well. Couldn't beat the price. Hotel would be great for any sport teams or organizations. Close to all amenities.
I first started staying at this hotel about 15 years ago now. Always have nice clean rooms with a comfy bed. Great value and a regular staff that's just awesome. Hot breakfast included that has enough options for most people. Basic fitness room, pool and hot tub to DE-stress in. I wouldnt stay anywhere else in Strathmore. Safe, large parking lot for RVs, truck and trailers.
Great location and always clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has great options and also great service. Beds are always comfortable and nice to have your own mini fridge and microwave.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Check in and out fast and efficient. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Did, t have time for a swim this time but have stayed here before and thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub
After the last few Best Western hotels I was at, was half expecting another horror story but no, this is actually a very respectable, Best Western hotel!! Much better than Thunder Bay and Headingley.... but this is an interesting story. Was going to stay at the Days Inn but had same billing accommodations as Best Western, so might as well come here since I was getting a nicer room for less anyways. Was in this hotel for about a week. Came in at around 9PM and upon arrival, was informed that there were no elevators, so I kinda lost it a bit... I travel heavy and there is no way I am going up and down stairs with all my luggage, that's just insane. So I said, screw it and went looking for another hotel since I could not get the same room type I had on the main, nor first floor. Funny thing is, you can easily access the first and second floor but top floor requires you to walk it. The lady working there did all she could and then found me a room that was up to my standards as I was looking for another hotel. It cost me a bit more but I am fine with that, to get what I want. Didn't want to go hunt for another hotel, was a bit too late. This is probably the most "least expected" hotel there is. As in, it doesn't look like much but it is really impressive. Don't let the outside appearance dictate your stay, or sway your opinion, this is a good hotel and I am quite demanding and picky. They properly pick their employees here, I think this is what impressed me the most... consistency!! Hard to find this anywhere, even with Fairmont sometimes, so I was impressed here with the staff. BW is often consistent but not necessarily in a good way. Everything here is slightly above average The room I got was pretty good, I ended up in a family suite, which I enjoyed the extra room as a cool room, very appreciated for my condition. Room was in good condition, nice furniture but the carpet could use a thorough cleanup, wouldn't want to stand on the carpet for long. Now My Gripes: Drapes need to be re-organized as they all flow the same way, which makes it so light always peeks in, not ideal for night owls and light sleepers. Could barely sleep 6 hours here but I woke up refreshed, none the less. Beds are not the most comfortable, actually low in the grand scheme of things but not like sleeping on plywood. Pillows aren't really good either. Overall sleep quality, I would say is slightly below average but far from terrible. What Shined Me On: What I liked here is the security here, wow!! There's an RCMP police station right outside my window!! Talk about that for security!! I even noticed some cameras, so I am very happy with that and Strathmore isn't even that big of a town either though there is a lot of bums; which I don't mind donating a few bucks here and there but they are un-thankful here and downright rude, don't give them anything; You're more bound to be insulted than blessed. Best overall security I ever seen in a Best Western this year, in the Northern part of the country anyways. Service is also very nice, housekeepers are friendly, again, consistency I appreciate though could use some more English lessons; I tend to like interacting with housekeeping. Lots of training going on but even they were helpful or done their best to help... I'm a newbie here too after all. ;p Although there is a pool by the lobby, it doesn't wreak of chlorine, this is why I stayed as long as I did. Whatever these guys do here as far as vapor ventilation should be across the board. Here be also good sound proofing, like I say, if I can't hear neighbors, it's good sound proofing... though like in most hotels, the door yields the most noise. Though the hotel was rather dead when I was there and as a result, cannot attest for more bustling times. One thing I also noticed is how generous they are with the toiletries, a rare trait in the BW hotels; others seems to kill them when you ask for extras. Though the bottles are small (0.7oz), common with many BW hotels, they give enough for me to wash my hair, this way the hotel can see how good the toiletries are and my hair is hard to not notice..... my hair loves that Argen Oil stuff, feels silky. Not the best in the hotel industry but definitely way up there. The soap is also very nice, lathers well and doesn't have a strong smell. Only problem, again as most hotels, is tap water quality. Would I recommend this hotel? ABSOLUTELY!!! This is a rare BW hotel I do recommend whole-heartedly. It's not extravagant, it's not even what I would consider fancy but it is efficient. There are some hiccups but are very minor but the hotel is in otherwise in very good condition; even parking... this is what I liked best, I could park my truck right in front of my room, so I could look at it on demand. Will I stay again at this hotel? If I have a need for it, then absolutely. However, I came down to Strathmore to meet the people who sold me my awesome truck, I don't have much need for staying here again in the future. My only big problem was sleep quality, too much light making its way into the bedroom and the smoke detectors light reflection on the ceiling works like a lampshade reflector. Detectors should be re-placed to a side wall, I would say above the bed's headboard, where the light isn't right in your face; this is just poor design from the builders and architects, not staff's fault. If you are a light sleeper, request the smoke detector light be covered with a tape for the duration of your stay, all you need is a piece of tape. Drapes are also letting in way too much light around the edges, they only flow one way and do not go low enough; Drapes are only one way, side to side, no up and down ones; this contributes to light coming into the room. Though I love the jetted tub, real jets that you actually feel and the fireplace was a nice addition too, though it was a tad too hot out to use. Problem with that is, it took me forever to figure it all out and by that time, was time for me to leave; so take it from me, if you're a light sleeper or insomniac, like me. There is good sound proofing here but light proofing is a whole other ball game. I also had a "Fairmont Moment" here.... and this is impressive. One morning, I ended up going to get coffee and I am not human yet before coffee, so I brought an empty coffee cup with me to go get coffee, well I didn't realize that this cup was full of change... and really nice change too, rare coins. So I inadvertently left that cup full of change, at the coffee machine and grabbed another cup. Well a few hours later, was looking for that cup of change... can't find it, figured I left it at the coffee machine. So I walked down to the front desk and inquired of lost and found, see if they had found a cup full of change by the vending machine. Originally, I thought I brought the cup with me the night before when I went to use the vending machine but I actually took it that same morning... yeah, me and mornings are mortal enemies. In the end, they had my cup of change at lost and found and got it back... I was blown away, I never gotten anything back from lost and found and this time, got a whole cup of money back... if this isn't impressive, I don't know what is. Honesty in this day in age is a rare trait and in a region that isn't the richest either says a lot about the community of professionals of the town, in general. Would I recommend this hotel? Does it sound like it? Absolutely!! Best, Best Western Service I got this year, as far as consistency of employees goes. I was getting nearly Fairmont level of service here, employees look happy, upbeat, ready and willing to help... even in the middle of the night and G-d knows I spent a lot of time annoying Nada, into working the vending machine... by the way, I pretty much raided the entire thing, I never seen such unique treats in a vending machines, all the good stuff is in C1 by the way. No restaurant on site but the snack machine more than makes up for it... though could use a bit of work. They also have the best Loyalty Program gift of any Best Western I been to this year, hands down... like, no contest. Finally a gift that actually feels like a gift!! In conclusion, considering the exceptional experiences and great times I had in this hotel, I feel a 5 star review is well deserved... they worked their way to it, as I had no intention of rating more than 4 stars like any hotel but was shined on a few occasions by my stay here. Unique experiences are why I leave 5 star reviews. Keep it up! Shoutout: Alban, Nada, Ruby
Great value, local and hotel amenities, excellent staff. We got a discount for being a Best Western Rewards Earner. The room was the largest we had on a 3 night hotel stay trip across Canada. We eli be back.
As per usual, Best Western Strathmore Inn provided a comfortable stop-over. A nice breakfast in the morning. Staff was helpful and friendly. Internet was a bit problematic but finally got it running with Tech Support help. Highly recommend.
Fast check in, good breakfast, with food continually being restocked. Our room was quiet, clean away from the highway. When booking a room try and get one on the main floor, especially if you have mobility issues. This way you can walk straight in. I would certainly stay here again.
We stayed here one night while passing through the area. Great location just off the highway and right outside the east side of Calgary. Check in was great ,easy, quick with a courteous staff member helping us out. Our room was on the west side lower level which is the only drawback we had as access is from the inside only. The lower level on the east side has outdoor access to your vehicle from your room. Room was clean with a decent comfortable bed. It was a Saturday night and we found the hotel to be very quiet, which was great. You are close to a few eating establishments, fuel and convenience stores. Continental breakfast was great with lots of variety. Two staff in the breakfast area ensuring tables were clean, food was available and coffee was hot. One nights stay, taxes included was $102.75 Canadian. We would stay here again.
As usual, this place provides great guest rooms and fantastic service.I stay at this BW 4 to 5 times throughout the year, for about 1 week at a time and I am never disappointed! I will continue staying at this location for any and all my future business trips!
Although this is a "experianced" location it is very comfortable. Lots of parking and close to resteraunts. Friendly staff and clean rooms. I asked for a early breakfast and was easily accommodated. Would stay again with No hesitation.
When traveling such a long day the two things you want is a hot shower and a comfy bed. We got both and in a quiet place. The hotel is lovely and so is the staff. Breakfast was great, the kids loved it.
Recently stayed here, I enjoyed our room, it was clean and comfortable. We had a room that had 2 separate rooms, these rooms both had TVs. It was not noisy and had a very restful sleep. In the morning we went downstairs for a free breakfast which was good. The only downside to this motel is there is no elevator to the second floor. But either than that, I would stay here again.
Very good place to stay in Strathmore. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was quite good with assorted breads, fruit, yogurt and scrambled eggs. Location is great for other food establishments, service stations and for getting back on the highway
Stayed two nights for business. Landed in the bottom floor that has dark hallways and dated looking and dark room. Although the beds were just OK, nothing else was memorable. On day two, arrived back at 4pm and my room was not cleaned. The TV, alarm clock, and other items were very old. Breakfast offered is free, but very basic hot food. This is a base Best Western for these reasons. I would stay elsewhere upon return.
As one who is a fan of BW and will stay at them when possible - this site certainly did not disappoint us. Located near the highway from Calgary, it was easy to find...The parking was great, and since it is also pet friendly [we had a small dog with us] we were not in the most ideal location in the hotel, but it was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Breakfast was well served, and a good quantity of choices... Yup...I'd go back, without question.
I was very impressed by the efficiency of the check-in and check-out at the front desk. The Best Western Strathmore Inn was clean and pleasing to the eye. The staff was prompt and very helpful. We also enjoyed the breakfast very much. There was a wide selection of choices.
Very comfortable and would stay here again. The breakfast made it easy for each of us to be ready for a whole day of wandering and hiking and sightseeing. We are very happy to have decided to stay here and would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Great hosts, easy registration and clean rooms. Breakfast was included options were excellent, lots of parking and close to other services Such as Fuel stations and restaurants. Overall great stay would suggest this hotel to anyone.
We stay at this hotel whenever we visit Strathmore. It is a great value for your money. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite and the cost was equivalent to most standard rooms. Breakfast was typical for this style of hotel. The lady that checked us on was really friendly and helpful.Conveniently located. The pnly negative was lack of an elevator.
I am very surprised at why the staff would put people side by side when there is such few guests staying. I was so tired after a very long drive. To be woken up by some men loudly talking outside as they smoked after probably returning from the bar later in he evening for hours was the last thing I needed.
Located just 25 mins from downtown Calgary and the airport, it is has excellent amenities to satisfy your needs. It has ample free parking and fast internet through wifi. I often stay at this location and can attest that the breakfast's are excellent.
Easy access off Trans Canada Highway and close to Calgary. Friendly staff and good stopping spot after getting through Calgary/ before heading into Calgary traffic. Adequate lodging and reasonable price for the stop we needed on our travels.
This hotel is a great stop. They have several rooms with outside access for our dog and it is a Quiet even though it is right on Highway 1. There is something for everyone at the complimentary breakfast. The indoor pool is nice too.
Just checked into a clean and comfortable room by Trish. She was so welcoming and gave me an extra razor and lotion as I mentioned I have sensitive skin. I can't believe how thoughtful she was. Thank you Trish.
Great place to stay, clean, friendly and a good location. The breakfast is always good and hot, staff are very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family for sure, BW have always treated me great.
We stayed at Best Western in Strathmore Alberta. It was a wonderful stay. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Very attentive and courteous. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms very clean and comfortable. For my future stay in Strathmore, Best Western will be my home for the stay!! Awesome.
One of the best value hotels in the area, with upgraded and modern rooms , the level of service is better than comparable properties, would highly recommend that people visit this hotel. One of the superior properties in the best western chain.
Stopped here with another couple for the night. We had stayed here once before so knew what it was like. Checked in & the friendly desk clerk suggested that they have a family suite that was comprised of a living room, 2 bedrooms, & a bathroom. Living room had a fireplace in it. It was more economical for us than 2 individual rooms & was very nice. At the far end of the hall so very quiet. Close to a really good restaurant. Rooms were clean & the beds were comfy. We all had a good rest here. Would stay here again.
We had a quick check in and were pleased with our room. Very clean and a large bed. The bathroom was rather small, but functional. Very nice breakfast with good seating. Looked at fitness room and wished we had time to use it. We appreciated the outside door for ease of moving suitcases.
Sorry BW Strathmore...but this was one of the worst stays I've had at a BW. Firstly, the room smelled like stale cigar smoke. We didn't spend much time in our room as we were in town for a funeral, but if we would have stayed more than the one night, we would have had to move. Secondly...The hotel on the Trip Advisor summary says recently renovated. I don't know which room it was, but it wasn't ours. In addition to the already mentioned smell, the very small bathroom (door almost hits the toilet) looks very dated. Walls need fixing and painting, ceiling had a bad patch job done to it, just not very nice. Also, we didn't go to the hotel to watch TV, but when we had time to kill, we put it on. I must admit...I haven't watched standard definition TV in many years, and was surprised that even though BW says it has HD TV, it wasn't in our room. Must have been in the renovated room that we didn't see. Oh ya...TV was as old as the last reno from probably before the last century. But to be fair, the staff that we spoke to were nice, and sorry but we didn't try the breakfast that I read from other TA reviews is quite good, so take that for it's worth. I'm not rating beds, as they are a very subjective thing to each person depending on what you like. Location is also very convenient off of the Trans Canada and there are lots of places to eat close by. Overall, this is the first time to Strathmore, but our last time to the BW here. We stayed out in the Maritimes for 3 weeks last summer and mostly at BW's and the one in Strathmore doesn't compare to the ones that we have stayed in previously. Sorry BW, I'm sure the staff is doing the best with what they have.
Conveniently located along the Trans Canada Highway, this property seemed remarkably clean and well maintained. The staff was really excellent; friendly, thoughtful and on the ball. The complimentary breakfast was more than adequate and abundant.
Our second stay in this year and we are very satisfied. The morning continental was the typical cheap & quick meal but good in a pinch. The hotel is clean and the beds are okay. All-in-all we will go back.
We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The room was really great, but the hallways were a bit dark. The front desk staff and breakfast staff were friendly. We loved our spacious, clean 1 bedroom suite, with a king bed, jacuzzi, and fireplace. We noticed the carpet underlay and furniture were comfy. Sadly, there was a burnt-out light in the bathroom and the sink drained VERY slowly. Although the room was clean, housekeeping at this hotel is letting this hotel down by not spotting or reporting such items. Special mention: the breakfast was very friendly and helpful, and was the highlight of our stay. This review would have been scored lower, if it hadn't been for her. We were going to report the deficiencies in the room on check-out, but there was no staff around anywhere.
The staff were excellent, but we found someone else's sock under the curtain (which leads me to believe the cleaning staff aren't that thorough) and we took the kids to the pool and it was so cold even the kids complained!!! My husband and I didn't brave the water and sat in hot tub.... But it didn't seem pleasant. However - the continental breakfast was awesome!!
We stayed 59 days due to a residential fire. The staff extremely helpful.Next to a mini mall with 24 hr A&W, Roadhouse Restaurant & Husky St.across road has from scratch down homecooking. Gas Bar has many food & toiletries. Great location if you have to walk. Also J & L Shuttle Service have pick-up & drop-off @ the Husky St. $30 shuttle to Airport. (Taxi $70) J & L 1-877-217-5577.
Hotel was quiet, warm, and has great parking and room access. Décor is quite modern. Room was clean and spacious. Hot breakfast had a good variety and was offered quite early in the morning. A great, affordable place to stay.
It sure is worth driving thru CALGARY going east or stopping before CALGARY at this best western. It is very easy access off and on to highway. They have a very nice pool area. Breakfast was very good. The room was a very nice size and very quiet. Next time we drive out west we will diffenitly stay here again.
Overall the hotel was ok. We felt that it was not up to the standards we have become used to from the Best Western chain. The bed, bathroom were clean which is important to us. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant.
Very pleasant hotel just far enough away from Calgary to get good start for further travel west The facilities are very good particularly the fitness room which in other locations can be wanting. Would recommend
My wife and I have stayed at the Best Western Strathmore Inn several times. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, the price is reasonable and the complimentary breakfast, consisting of pastries, bagles, eggs, bacon/sausage, toast, self made waffles, cereal, coffee, juice and yogurt is great. Our grandchildren also enjoy the pool. I'd certainly recommend the Inn to anyone wishing a pleasurable stay, to choose the BW Strathmore Inn.
We broke down near this best western. Glad this was the hotel we stayed at: they were so helpful! Would definitely stay again. Great staff! Pool was nice! Rooms were nice! Breakfast was good! Had a fantastic experience here!
I had booked my reservations weeks in advance, they knew I was coming with 2 small children and I had requested a room with a separate bedroom to put the kids to bed. I was not told that the doors had glass in them so that the light would go in. I was also placed in between a bunch of crew guys that were in and out of their rooms, slamming the doors all night! I went to the desk the next day and told them that I would be checking out if those people would be here again, they then offered me a family room.. ( which should have been offered in the first place) they had us move to the new room, but then told us they had no keys for us until they had the door fixed later that day! We had to get someone to come and basically break into our room every time we went somewhere. The room size was great, and it had separate rooms and a great sized living area but it was filthy! I had to clean someone else's urine up off of the floor because it had smelt so bad. We had asked for extra towels and never got them and all of my kids food froze in the fridge! When I made my complaints to the manager, he did not seem to care at all. I will stay at the Days Inn next time!
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. It is a good hotel to stay. the area of the hotel is ok, close the supermarket and few restaurants. I just spend one night there and not too much to say about it. I recommend the hotel
The rooms were clean and huge - lots of room to spread out. There was also a fridge, microwave, easy chair and a table with two chairs with room to spare. After staying in 3 other hotels during this trip, the beds here were the most comfortable. A nice breakfast selection too. Pleasant staff and some decent restaurants nearby.
Hotel was comfortable and clean, excellent staff. Breakfast room was nice and clean with good selection of breakfast items to choose from. Easy to find. Best western always is consistently a good chain of hotels
We checked in about 4:00 p.m. and had time to utilize the swimming pool and hot tub. Both were excellent! Though the hotel is situated adjacent to the Trans Canada Highway, the room was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep and rest.
Just need a place for an overnight stop. This place was very reasonably priced, very clean and comfortable. Asked front desk clerk about places to eat and she was very informative. Had a good breakfast included.
We were impressed with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. We were traveling with a truck and long trailer and had ample parking. Shopping and good eats were all within walking distance. We will be back!
We walked away from a nasty hotel that we had booked in Calgary, only to find this gem! We will stay here every time we come through this area. The staff was very helpful, beds and pillows were comfortable and the breakfast was simply the best we've had. Not to mention, the internet was flawless, didn't lose the signal once!
We enjoyed our stay, window curtains could be better if they could shut out the light, otherwise everything very good, staff are excellent. Parking is good, room is clean, not brand new, appearance of outside of building may be questionable after dark, but its quite nice inside.
I've reviewed lots of budget minded hotels and this one isn't bad, it just rubbed me the wrong way this visit. The location on the highway is obviously good for those wanting a quick in and out while travelling. The price was good and fit into my budget for our 2 week vacation. Arrived around 8:30 as did many others. We asked for a quiet room and the lady said we'd been given an upgrade. Nice. I signed the form with my room number and "King", the bed size I'd booked. Got to the room, separate bedroom, which was nice, that was the upgrade I guess. We trotted out and retrieved our stuff, settled in and finally went to bed. Hey, where's our King size bed? It's a Queen. After a long day of driving and another one the next day I'm too tired to ask for my room with the King bed. That was frustrating, especially as I look for King size beds when booking hotels, they're a nice perk. First world problem? Yes. Still, I'd like to get what I booked months earlier. Also I had to retrieve our personal pillows from the car as theirs were small and not good. The bed itself was comfy, just small. Second, the thermostat. It's 2017. You should have a digital one, not a tricky and hard to operate dial. I woke up at 2 am freezing and had to fumble with the tricky dial trying to change it. The good. The one bedroom room was nice, bathroom was good with good water pressure in the shower. My room was charged to me and invoice e-mailed to me as requested in the middle of the night, good job. Breakfast was decent, plenty of eggs and bacon despite the busyness of the room. Nice big muffins! Just missing Orange Juice, please get rid of the peach cocktail and get OJ. It's a breakfast staple. The hotel is also laid out strangely. Spend a bit of money and make the emergency exit at the far end of the hotel a room key activated entrance/exit. Having to walk all the way to the lobby and then all the way back down the parking lot to get your car which is right outside your window is unecessary. We saw the small pool, which I suppose would be great for small kids but it was crowded, not for me. A few fixable issues and this would have been a great visit. The upgrade without asking for it was nice, but putting people in a smaller bed without asking first is a big no no in my books. It spoiled what would have been a nice last night on a 17 day vacation.
The best hotel stay for the money, too bad it was the last night of our 7 day vacation. The entire family enjoy the stay at this location and I found the price for the night very reasonable compared to previous nights and other hotels.
They always treat us well and greet us with a friendly smile. We will stay here any time we are going through. Whenever we have had a special request, they have done their best to accommodate us. I always request that they do not spray room deodorizers because of allergies and they make sure the room is scent free. the breakfast is adequate, always laid out nicely. Could do with some other choices.
This was our first time at the Best Western in Strathmore. Decided to stay here because of the price plus it is a good 'central' location to spend a weekend exploring both Calgary and the Drumheller area. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are quiet (could use a little updating or touch up paint), and the breakfast is great. The staff are super friendly and if we are in the area again I would stay here again and I would also recommend it to friends and family for a place that has great value for your dollar.
Strathmore Best Western is the best in my mind, Price is excellent, staff are over the top, breakfast is to look forward to,it's my favourite hotel in Canada. I always look forward to staying there if it fits my schedule.
When my partner and I couldn't find anywhere to stay after spending an afternoon in Drumheller, we decided to drive to Strathmore. Best Western to our rescue! Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable beds, wonderful breakfast the next morning and a hot tub and pool. With a CAA discount, our room cost us $103.00 plus taxes. They don't allow dogs though, this is my only complaint.
Great beds, great pool and hot tub. Breakfast was fantastic! We would highly recommend this hotel! Pet Friendly with lots of close shops and restaurants. Great Value for Families or business folk. Would stay again and again.
Hotel didn't look great on the outside but the inside was a pleasant surprise. The pool was very nice and the hot tub was a great temperature and very nice. Breakfast was excellent with hot food selections as well as continental type stuff. Lots of variety
Nice, very clean hotel for overnight while travelling. Comfortable room and beds. Close to Trans Canada Hwy. Friendly service and good continental breakfast. We paid $94. a night. The pool looked nice but we didn't use it. Close to cold beer store and restaurants.
I was very pleased that they waived the $15.00 pet fee for us which made a good experience even better! Everything else was excellent. The staff were excellent. I would most certainly recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay. Rooms clean and staff very nice. Would stay again. Easy access on and off highway but no noise from traffic at night. Breakfast lady very helpful getting non working waffle maker working
The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great (a much bigger slecetion that at other hotels offering 'continental breakfast'), convenient location. Sunny indoor pool was an unexpected bonus. Would stay again and recommend!
My husband and I spent time sight seeing touring and tenting and figured we would find a place to stay in Canmore no luck we definitely thought we could find a place in Calgary because its such a big Centre, we also had our little companion Edward the dog, it was after midnight by the time we got to Calgary; to our surprise, apparently if you don't have a reservation you get locked out. We were weary tired and needed a place to have a good rest....I suggested to head out of Calgary and stop at one of the towns...Strathmore was it....Best Western Inn....they had a beautiful 2 queen bed, pet friendly room available...it was 2a.m. it was so refreshing when they offered a late check out of 12pm....we slept until 1030....had a coffee and we're so happy with this hotel it's worth the drive from Calgary. We highly recommend it friendly staff, clean modern room, comfortable beds, the room was nice and cool, there was a Continental breakfast available from 530a.m. to 930am we opted to get some much needed rest! Thank you Best Western Inn!
This was a last minute stop and the staff were great, looked after all our needs and more. Breakfast was very good, hot and we left satisfied. The entrance was the only thing that was a bit difficult to locate and turns were tight for a person driving a 1/2 ton truck. Thanks for a great job.
Good hotel and location. Very friendly and helpful employees. Was upgraded to large suite which was very nice with jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Good hot and cold breakfast buffet. Hotel also has pool and fitness room.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms tastefully decorated and clean. The breakfast was amazing! They offered scrambled eggs, bacon, oatmeal and waffles as well as the usual toast and muffins.
Generous sized room with fridge, good size bath, comfortable bed. We had a room in the background-very quiet. Check-in was quick and the receptionist very friendly. Her dinner recommendation was spot on.
I thought that the device was great and I would come back immediately if I needed to stay in a hotel and food was awesome and would tell everyone that bestwestern is the place to go and really appreciate your hospitality
I cannot express adequately how great this hotel is. Everything in the spacious King room worked, everything! Bed was very comfortable, room clean and quiet. Towels were supper fluffy. The staff were excellent. Friendly, courteous, engaging and very helpful. I will stay here again in a heart beat!!!!!
All aspects of our stay at BW in Strathmore were excellent! Our room was much larger than we had expected with a separate sitting room and French doors to close off the bedroom ! The room was spotless and service was excellent. We stayed for two nights while we visited the area and met up with a few relatives. Breakfast was good - the hot items were very hot , The bed was very comfortable and the price was certainly much less than we had paid for several other rooms during our vacation.
Excellent value for money ... one of the best hotels I have stayed at in some time. Clean, helpful staff, great location....couldn't ask for more. 30 minute drive from Calgary and easy access to other area attractions i.e. Drumheller, etc.
Wonderful and accommodating staff. Great beds, pillows very comfortable. Clean hotel inside and out. Close to other restaurants within walking distance. Great continental breakfast: great variety of hot and cold items, muffins, good variety of breads, fruits and of course juices and coffee. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
The rooms were a little dated - however they were large and clean. The service was friendly. The breakfast was good, however more choice would be nice. Stay was for only one night, but the hotel was quiet.
Loved our room. Very quiet hotel. Had a great sleep. Staff were pleasant and helpful. We would stay again if in the area. We travelled to Strathmore for a family. Memorial Rodeo at the Strathmore Rodeo Grounds... Best Western Hotel made our stay very pleasant. Nice restaurant within close walking distance with excellent food and service. A great experience.
This was an exceptional hotel on our family trip. The staff are helpful and accommodating and the rooms were very spacious and exceptionally clean. They were perhaps not the most up-to-date but there was nothing lacking. Great restaurant next door and the hotel has a pool that our 4 yr old granddaughter and her grandpa particularly enjoyed. The continental breakfast was outstanding with many choices, both hot and cold. All this for a really good price! Highly recommend this hotel.
We were very happy with this hotel. Great value for our money! The beds and pillows were sooo comfy! The staff was very helpful and the breakfast has a wide variety of items and a nice sized eating area . This is where we will stay the next time we are in town!
Amazing staff, helpful, personable, great breakfast, clean rooms and a nice little pool, love it! Was there for business and the staff were cheerful and helpful, recommended restaurant and shopping. Great experience.
We were travelling from the Lower Mainland of BC to Saskatchewan and this was our halfway point. After driving all day, this little hotel was exactly what we needed. A quick a super friendly check in... the front desk agent even stopped my husband from unloading our bags because our room had outside access. Once he gave us our keys we were able to drive right up to our door! After we unloaded, we walked about 40 steps across the parking lot to the "back door" of a little pub next door.... but when we got inside it was much nicer than it looked when we drove by the first time! We had a lovely meal and a went back to our room. (there was a liquor store next door if we'd wanted to visit that too) The next morning we had our complimentary guest breakfast before leaving... it was exactly what it should be. Eggs, sausages, toast, etc. OH! I forgot to mention that the showers were AMAZING!!! And the wifi was great too. No problems watching netflix before bed. All in all, exactly what we needed and cheaper than expected! Highly recommend! I will definitely go again!
We have stayed at this hotel in the past. It never disappoints. We travel between BC and Saskatchewan for family reasons. Staying in Strathmore is a nice midway point, and the Best Western Strathmore Inn makes an easy, comfortable and affordable stop. Friendly staff, good breakfast...what more could you ask when travelling through?
After a long day of driving through the mountains from Penticton, my wife and I stopped at the Best Western. We stayed on the lower, east side of the building which has doors to the interior corridor and to the parking lot. The room was dated but very clean with a comfortable bed and all amenities working as they should. We spent a quiet night and were on the road again early the next morning. The breakfast room, which opens at 5:30am, was as nice as any I have encountered in similar motels and there was a large variety of food including sausage and eggs, fresh fruit and cereal. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.
Four day Midget Hockey Provincials. Staff super helpful and accommodating. We were allowed to use the breakfast room for our team pizza party... as long as we tidied up after ... which isn't too much to ask! ;) ... often hotels decline the use of public areas. Thanks for helping us out!!!
Very comfortable hotel with all the amenities at an excellent price. The hotel is conveniently located close to the TransCanada and offers free breakfast. Good value and very accommodating for our sports team.
Great location to hockey rink in Strathmore. Very friendly and professional staff. Clean hotel rooms. Great pillows. Good breakfast buffet each morning. Beds very comfortable. Internet in Business Centre was slow at first until guest agent helped me.
If you are in the Calgary area or at least staying in a hotel in the east end I suggest an 30 minute drive to Strathmore. Why? Best Western Strathmore offers excellent service and the hotel is great value. An excellent hot tub and swimming pool and the staff are par excellence. I stay for $100 and I think it is the best value in the area.
Through the Rockies in credible drive as always even Big Horn sheep Super moon over Calgary Now resting in this very comfortable motel and town Great local just odd highway I was able to get an excellent meal and take out from the Roadhouse with in a block So could grab a wine too in same complex Feet up comfortable All close Relaxing for next leg
This Best Western is what you'd expect to find in a small town. Nothing fancy but it's clean, people are nice, has a pool/hot tub, and it's easy to find. I would recommend if you want decent rates and clean rooms.
This is the BEST hotel in Strathmore. Excellent friendly service, really good breakfast and a relaxing stay. Not often you find the kind of service provided by the staff at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful with a wonderful welcome. I stay here about 25 nights of the year and would stay no where else in Strathmore.
This hotel is a great place to stop if you are looking for a little cheaper hotel compared with those in Calgary. The location is close to other services and easy to find. It is clean and the service is very good. The rooms are a little dated. The bed is comfy. No plastic bag was supplied for the ice bucket which was a concern for health reasons especially when we understood that this was standard for this particular hotel. I suggest asking the front desk person for one. The hot tub temperature was perfect. We enjoyed the continental breakfast.
Wanting a place for four adults close to the Calgary Airport, we found this place to be our best value, especially as they included breakfast, and the hotel was right on the highway that put us within 35 minutes of the airport. All this during our first snow and freezing rain storm of this year.
We stayed BW Strathmore last week and again was more than happy with the service, amenities and accommodations. We were fortunate enough to stay in one of the suites on the 2nd floor and was so happy with the accommodations that we decided to order supper in and walked across to the local beer store and bought a few beer, turned the fireplace on in the room and enjoyed an evening watching hockey. Mercy the customer service representative at the front desk was helpful with information and as usual was friendly and directed me to the Business Centre to book my BW accommodations for the next night. Breakfast in the morning was great, well laid out with a variety of items and helpful staff. BW Strathmore Inn is always on our list when travelling east or west and we make a point of ensuring our stop there. A great hotel with great staff.

Best Western in Strathmore is easy to find and access from Highway 16. There are services nearby and the Roadhouse restaurant and lounge next door offers good food. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.
Enjoyed my stay. Felt new and just simply clean, comfortable beds. Good free breakfast included; bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles and then all your other cold breakfast options. Pool and hot tub available but I didn't use them.
Stayed in the suite which is basically a standard 2 bed hotel room with a wall between the two beds and a set of french doors. The doors effectively separate the two parts of the room but have windows which are opaque so light shines through. It was nice to have a microwave and a fridge in the room. Room was clean and furniture in good shape. The pool and hot tub area was a nice feature! Kids enjoyed it. The breakfast was pretty impressive and started at 5:30am. Fresh fruit, juices, coffee, yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, waffle maker, bacon, sausages, eggs, bagels, bread, muffins. Friendly staff. overall, the hotel was a bit dark but other than that, I hate no complaints.
We were very happy with our stay at the BW in Strathmore. Readily available wifi, Reception was great, room was clean, large bathroom with handrails; Great selection of breakfast items, and very helpful room staff. Very convenient to car wash, and getting back on the road the next day. Definitely stay there again.
Typical Best Western, with pool, and continental breakfast. Pool was salt water, which is a bonus. They allow pets, unlike the Bet Westerns in Calgary which is also a notch in their favor. I enjoyed being able to park right in front of my door, made unloading quick. The rooms kept out the noises from the highway, but not some of the late nighters.
Stayed here for one night on our way back to MB from BC. Was tired from a long drive and just wanted to relax. Great location that's within walking distance for food, and relaxing in the hot tub made our night. Front desk staff was nice and helpful, and a woman working the continental breakfast was very friendly as well. Enjoyed the breakfast before we started off again the next morning. Would definitely stay again.
Our stay was fantastic...the room was very clean ands nice. The bed was very comfortable and we were treated to a great selection breakfast in a very nice room. The staff were helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again!
Chosen as it was the best value based on my Hotels.com search while travelling cross country. Staff friendly and helpful, and very accommodating, as too often websites are not giving hotels the information that a pet friendly room is needed. Clean room, quiet night with a very good sleep. Comfortable.
We stayed here twice this summer and I have only positive things to say about this property. We travel east and back every year and from now on will stay here on both ends of the journey. We always get a pet-friendly room and the drive-up style ground floor exit is so convenient; unloading the car is a breeze and it's so nice to be able to walk right outside for those early-morning dog walks. We have always found the rooms to be clean and spacious. Upstairs is a large pleasant breakfast room with items enough to keep everyone happy. The lobby is warm and inviting, staff have always been friendly and helpful, and the hotel is right off the Trans-Canada for easy access. For those needing a quick grocery run, there is a Co-Op store nearby. The hotel is an easy walk from a safe residential area; a good venue for an evening stroll. Our family gives this BW a high recommendation!
We checked in to the Best Western in Strathmore after driving for hours through rapeseed fields punctuated by herds of cows. The elderly night clerk showed us menus for two nearby good restaurants, but we wrongly elected to go to KFC. Our room was clean and comfy once the too-cold sir conditioning was turned off. I liked the two queen beds; my husband used all four pillows in his bed--his idea of bliss. We had a good night's sleep and awoke to wind, rain, and chill. Breakfast was goodish--scrambled eggs, sausages, Canadian bacon, premixed machine Nescafe instant coffee, my husband noted. There were all sorts of carbs and fruits available--I had a Clementine and my husband a banana. Other visitors included older couples, a male family with a small boy, singles, and a multigenerational Mennonite family. My husband stated that the motel is dark and needs a bit of updating in the halls. It could also use an elevator for the elderly and disabled.
We chose this Best Western for its proximity to Hwy#1. We were greeted by a pleasant man who told us that since we are “platinum members” we could upgrade to a larger king-bedded room at no additional cost. He did, however, mention that the room was on the 2nd floor and there were no elevator in the hotel. We chose to upgrade and were delighted. The room was huge and in addition to the usual amenities it had a small table with 4 chairs, fridge, microwave, sofa, coffee table and fireplace. The bathroom was extra large and had a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. The halls and room were clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Full breakfast was included. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.
The hotel was easy to find. Everything was clean. The desk staff were helpful and friendly. My only beef is that there is no elevator, and my room was on the first floor, down a level from the lobby, and I had to carry a heavy suitcase down a flight of stairs. As with most hotels, the sheets had that slight hospital-ish stench.
Check in and out was very easy. Situated near food and shopping. Great place to stay for the Stampede, easy to get into Calgary. Lovely clean pool and lounge. Very pleasant staff, especially Joy, who will welcome you with her warm smile and helpful suggestions etc.. Good prices for great value. I never have had a bad experience at a Best Western. Quality control is a top priority for this brand. Highly recommend it for families.
This hotel was very clean if a little dated. Our room was on the lower floor and there was no elevator, the pool and breakfast room were on the floor above us. Also we had some noisy children running around in the room above us and it was very loud. Fortunately they went to bed fairly early. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the linens were of fairly good quality. The toilet was very low. I don't know why these hotels don't use a comfort height toilet. I have some mobility issues, don't need a totally accessible room but a higher toilet would help. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The breakfast was fairly good with two types of egg and two meat choices, as well as all the other usual things. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Second time we stayed there - great experience. Friendly reception staff (helpful). Nice breakfast experience (better than the standard continental breakfast)- quiet hotel and pet friendly. Would stay there again anytime. The reception staff were helpful.
Great customer service! Personable, outgoing, helpful employees. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, good coffee (important to me). Did not get up in time for breakfast so no comment on that. Convenient location; proximity to Calgary and easy access to major highways. Good choices of eating places in the vicinity.
Hotel was clean and modern. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our two bedroom suite was just what the six of us needed. Breakfast well stocked and area kept tidy Recommend this hotel as a base for the Tyrell Dino Museum in Drumheller and the Calgary Zoo.
We enjoyed our stay immensely, from the time we checked, it was great. Super friendly front desk staff, room was very clean, smelled so nice and fresh, no chemical smell of airfreshners. Bed was like a cloud to sleep on. Swimming pool and hotub were very clean no harsh chemical smell either. Breakfast area huge and also very clean. Good selection of breads, bagels muffins etc. Fresh fruit, Yogurts, cereals, you can even make Belgian waffles. I give this Hotel an A+. Would for sure stay here again.
We always chose this hotel for our stay when we travel west. The overall of this motel is great and we have had nothing but great service. I had to print my boarding pass and the printer would not work. The check-in staff came and in no time he had me all set up. Price is not bad either. Front staff should not be doing any other tasks but front desk as I've seen some customers waiting as front staff was busy with the breakfast area.
So called hotel the day we left hotel and said we left our phone cord plugged into wall behind the night stand! Front desk said cleaning people did not hand it in so we must still have it! Got home unpacked we do not have it! Phoned the next day front desk again still no phone cord! Was told they have extra there so could come pick one up! I don't live in strathmore could u send it and nope would be on our expense! Thanks for all your help Best Western NOT!
This Best Western in Strathmore, AB is an excellent place to stay for business or pleasure. It is only 25 mins away from downtown Calgary and has great rates which include breakfast! CAN'T BEAT THAT!! The breakfast isn't your typical cheap serving of muffins toast or cereal. The breakfast served at this location is the full meal deal. waffles, toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, and lots more! The staff are extremely polite, professional and very helpful!
Great hotel - clean, nice pool area, grand breakfast! Pet friendly rooms available and also pull up parking with double door rooms, very handy when travelling with family! Handy location with several restaurants within walking distance. Very helpful front desk and free wi-fi, we'll be back!
Stayed at the hotel for a weekend on a ringette tournament. Even with kids around the hotel was quite quiet and we had no problem with the breakfast. The front desk staff were very good to deal with and very helpful. The room was clean and well furnished. It was close to everything and if we had any questions the staff were very willing to help out. Would recommend it to anyone needing a good place to rest or stay.
There is no doubt that this Best Western is the best place to stay in Strathmore. The cost is affordable, the rooms are clean, there are many items to choose from at breakfast, and the staff are extremely friendly, professional and accommodating.
We enjoyed staying at the hotel. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the beds very comfortable. There was a good selection of breakfast foods, something for every taste. We enjoyed the pool and especially the hot tub, which was actually hot. The staff was proffessional and courteous. The location of this hotel was convient to the major roads, but the hotel itself was quiet and relaxing.
I have stayed at this Hotel on many trips to the Calgary area and have never been disappointed. The staff are very professional and look after any needs you may have. The morning breakfast has many choices for everyone.
Our family immensely enjoyed the hotel and its amenities. The swimming pool and hot tub were well looked after, the breakfast was excellent. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. We will be back.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast. Nice room with separate bedroom. Good selection of room layouts for business or family. Ground level, outside access if desired. Fridge and microwave in all rooms.
This property was a pleasant surprise. On the outside it does not look special but on the inside the updated décor and awesome staff make this a special hotel to stay at. It has easy access off the highway and places near by to have your evening meal.
This Hotel is easy to find in the Center of Town. The staff is friendly and courteous. The Hotel is clean and comfortable. the Breakfast was varied and good for a non-restaurant. It is very good value!
I stopped in here on my way through town heading east. It had nice easy access from the highway. Nice clean rooms with nice beds. It was indeed recently renovated. I ate the breakfest offered in the morning and I liked it. Everything was well stocked and fresh. My room was on the first floor. So I had inside or outside access, which was super convenient!! There is no elevator that I saw. So if your disabled and want to eat the breakfest, stay on the second floor. Or if your disabled and want quick access to your car, stay on the first floor, as you can park right at your door. There are also outdoor plugins as well.
This hotel doesn't look too impressive from the outside, but inside is beautiful! So spotless, soothing décor, lovely pool and whirlpool area, fireplace in lobby, everything was attractive, and very, very clean and organized.
You will enjoy this hotel for the price. The hotel parking is free. During your stay you can enjoy the indoor pool and exercise room. The Front Line Staff are great and are very attentive to detail. They have good breakfast options and you can request gluten free items. If you are looking to dine out we enjoyed a good restaurant very close to the hotel -- the Strathmore Station Restaurant and Pub.
I recently stayed here for two nights while I was volunteering nearby. Check in went smoothly and staff was extremely welcoming. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast room was always well stocked and clean. Every time I passed the front desk the staff made an effort to acknowledge me with a smile or hello. Overall this was a comfortable stay. I would stay here again.
We stayed here as part of a multi day journey on our way to Alaska. The hotel was conveniently located off the highway. It was very clean with a nice updated decor. The exercise area was not equipped for an intense workout. There is a nice restaraunt/pub within walking distance. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was nice.
Stayed in a King Suite with fireplace and jacuzzi tub. The price was $109 - an unbeatable deal! Not too far from Calgary but way cheaper! Friendly staff, clean room. Hotel has no elevator. Pool and hot tub area clean and well maintained.
