Late night stop on way home from a week long road trip. Found this hotel on TripAdvisor while driving and stopped there based upon its reviews and it did not disappoint. An older hotel that was very clean and well maintained run by an efficient staff. Nothing fancy just a place to get some sleep before continuing my drive home.
Was told we could have housekeeping services No you get them every 3rd day. You want towels must bring your used towels to the desk to get clean ones. Also bugs in room, they came out late at night. Crawling all over bathroom. Went to breakfast saw attendent add water to orange juice and serve to guests. Shared this with desk clerk was told don't stay here if you don't like it. The 4 of my group won't be back.
After a long day of driving I decided Rolla would be my stopping place. I looked on Trip Advisor and this motel got good reviews and a very reasonable price, all good things I can highly recommend it. Very nice and well kept, room large and clean, and the price very reasonable.
There were bugs crawling on the ceiling. The a/c did not work. The room had an unpleasant odor. The toilet was clogged/did not work. Called the hotel to book and were told it would be cheaper online as in $40 per room cheaper. Have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have been happy with experience but this one was so bad we will not return.
This is our second time stopping at this hotel. After an 8 hour drive, and arriving at 1:00 am, was greeted by a nice customer service representative. Got in our room quickly. Everything in order. Price was good was able to get another room for our college age boys instead of us all being in the same room. We missed breakfast as we got up after 9 am, but was close to other restaurants. Will stay again.
This is the absolute WORST hotel I've ever seen. We needed a pet friendly room. We walked in the room and the walls were all patched, the cushioned chair looked dirty and stained. My dog kept sniffing it. The floor was sticky, dirty and stained. The bed was rock hard . It smelled awful. We were afraid to touch anything . We walked out and booked a room 20 miles away at another chain. I asked the front desk for a refund. They only refunded the pet fee. I wanted to leave this place so fast I didn't even bother to argue . This hotel is a DUMP.
Nice clean room. Quiet room. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sink and tub fixtures could be better. Room was pretty update to date. Really a decent place to stay.
Beds were hard. Need more variety for breakfast, options was same all three days we were there and was microwaved right in front of you.
What a dump. Maybe because we had a "pet friendly" room. But the room was stale and dusty. Had cockroaches in the morning. Last time we stay here in Rolla. We stayed here last time and it wasn't so bad. Breakfast was very limited and not very appetizing.
Great place to stay, pool was not open for the season so can't rate that. Convenient location in Rolla with plenty of nearby things to enjoy. Microwave in our room was inoperable, but we managed anyway.
Police tending to a vehicle break in already made us feel on edge. The front desk was friendly, but you could tell from the dim and dated lobby area that the place hadn't done remodeling in some years. After check in, we discover that our "pet friendly room" smelled as if it hadn't been cleaned. Not only did a strong urine odor and staining everywhere have us turning up our noses, but I felt more and more on edge as the room beside us had aggressive arguing and door slamming going on. We checked out after 40 minutes at the property.
One of the best hotels we've stood at, room was extremely clean, furniture in great condition, bed was comfortable, and in a great location right off the highway/expressway/freeway. We will definitely return!
My room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast was good Staff was wonderful. There was a couple of hiccups and the staff kindly and patiently took care of the situations. A tasty place to eat in same parking area. I will definitely return
We are traveling across the country from PA to AZ and we always stay at BEST western and are very pleased with our stays! We also get a nice breakfast before we head back out on the road. Plus we get bonus points for staying and even get free nights!
The shower was slow to drain, the fridge didn't work, and the breakfast was so bad I had to throw it in the garbage. I didn't feel comfortable with where I had to park, not much light. I think this hotel should change it's name to the Worst Western .
Good location. Traffic circle a bit confusing, but certainly doable. Of the three Best Westerns we have stayed in during our trip, this certainly was the best. Water just didn't warm up, but towels nicer. A good selection of restaurants nearby. Do know that if you want king bed rooms, there aren't real many. We were given a different one than one originally assigned since loading and unloading were more convenient, which we appreciated. It is a big hotel/motel.
Excellent service, very good cleanliness and very attentive people, I recommend it because it is very well located. It has good parking and you can rest. The cleaning people are very formal and treat the guests well.
The pool isnt open as it's outdoor. Only summertime guest will be able to indulge in the amenities featured. No gym, no newspaper, and a sad excuse for breakfast. Head over to waffle House right in front of the property for convenience. Room smelled of pets despite us not having one. No remedy offered.
Staff was not very friendly. No water given when we checked in, something we've been used to getting at all the other Best Westerns. Outside lighting is poor. We couldn't read the room numbers from the car and had to get out to look around and find our room. Good variety for breakfast but hot food was not hot and no coffee to go because no lids for the cups. No real major complaints, It's just not what we are used to or expect at BW, I will say the room was clean and no bugs seen which to me is what's most important. That is something I personally look for when I read these reviews.
This motel just makes you feel kind of dirty. We were moved twice due to the overwhelming smell of pets and cigarettes that greets you at the door. The room didn't have toiletries (I was looking to wash my hands) and we had to ask for toilet tissue. The sheets on both beds had holes and tears. It was a bother to us, but looking tattered gave it a low quality feel.Though it could happen anywhere, a guys truck was being broke into around 2am, so lock your doors! I've never felt too safe in a place with exterior doors do it added our discomfort the rest of the night there. The furniture in the rooms was all sleek and modern from the lamps and headboard to the desk space and console with storage drawers. Bonus is the outdoor pool I saw, but of course that's only going to be open three months of the year. Great location, right at the 184 exit from the 44. Waffle House and Sirloin Stockade (a big buffet) are within walking distance.
Very nice stay with very helpful staff. Mira met our every need! Nice job Mira! Room was clean and comfortable. We had been on the road all day so we ordered Dominoes. Pizza was perfect and the delivery boy was hilarious! Love Dominoes when on the road.
The customer service attendant gave top-notch service the room was was very clean the surroundings in the parking lot were very clean. I feel very safe here and there were a lot of amenities o was very clean the surroundings in the parking lot we're very clean. I feel very safe here and there were a lot of amenities available to meet in the lobby area. Thank you again I had a great time
I travel and stay at BW weekly. It took for ever to get checked in because management was texting the calling the staff at 2300 hrs while they were checking in a full lobby. This location stated and billed me for 2 towels and the GM won't return a call to explain. You can't trust them, don't stay here!
Excellent customer service! The staff did a great job working out some kinks in the reservation. The A/C unit was unbelievably loud but worked well. The beds were decent, pillows soft, hot water. Was a motel with doors to the outside but no issues. Plenty of parking.
I've stayed at this location twice now in the last 9 months, when traveling to see our military son. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Nice and quiet location. One of our favorites
Had 2 adult grandaughters staying overnight during long road trip. After seeing 2023 travelers choice & 4 stars thought this a great suggestion. It was not. Shower curtain filthy. Worn out furniture and chipped & stained walls Not to mention the two people sitting outside their door in a pick up truck all evening smoking. Obviously won't be recommending this establishment and lprobably not trip advisor either.
Good visit, good food; hot food; would have preferred having gravy each morning. Unit was next to the office on ground floor, which is where I preferred staying. Hotel has a good security system in place.
This is an old school hotel where every room opens to the outside. I like that. There are two stories but no elevator. I don't like that. We received a ground floor room when we requested one. It was by the pool, which is closed now (but we already knew that, thanks to another TA reviewer). The room was clean. The beds were good. Soap and shampoo were supplied. Breakfast was good. I like all of that. The AC was set for 66 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived in July. I do not like artificial winter. I suppose they cannot please everyone, so my rating reflects all the things I liked.
This hotel is very clean, there is a friendly staff available for check in and any needs that may arise, we felt right at home. The bed was very comfortable, breakfast available for guests. I recommend this place for a good night's rest/ stay.
I was traveling between Oklahoma City and Milwaukee and stopped in Rolla, MO, en route. I had made reservations here at the Best Western Coachlight because Best Western is one of the four lodging chains that I patronize. This place is a jewel. If you pass through Rolla and are okay staying at a smaller motel (76 rooms; 20 seats in the breakfast nook), you should stay here. First, this is a real motor hotel. It opened originally in 1970 and underwent a renovation about 2015. You access the rooms from the outside, near where you parked your car. I have not stayed in a real motor hotel in decades and relished the "retro" experience. Second, the room was as well-appointed, as comfortable, as clean, as good as any room I have stayed in. Very comfortable king bed and pillows, microwave, larger fridge than most lodging rooms, TV, lots of outlets, fine wi-fi, plenty of lights. The a/c also worked well. The bathroom/shower area was excellent. Two bars of good lathering soap, small bottles of shampoo and conditioner, a good-sized countertop with the sink, coffeemaker, hairdryer, plenty of towels, a vent to suck out the steamy air, and a non-slip bathtub bottom. Best of all, a great shower. The shower head was an 8-position Sunbeam head which provided lots of water from several circles of holes. That and good water pressure made for an excellent shower experience. The breakfast was comprehensive and excellent with standard hot and cold choices. A point I especially liked about the arrangement of the offerings was that the sugar was placed near both the coffee and the cereal. It seems that most motel breakfast arrangements have the coffee area (and the sugar) separated from the rest of the offerings so someone having cereal, like me, has to go over to the coffee area to get the sugar for my cereal. Not here. Here the coffee, sugar and cereal were all near each other. This property has a good-sized outdoor pool, "the largest outdoor pool in Rolla" according to the manager, which was closed this summer for repair. I didn't care as I didn't use the pool. I have only one suggestion for improvement. The bathroom area had no hooks - for towels or clothes. I recommend that two hooks be added to the inside, and two to the outside, of the bathroom door. I rate this property 5/5 because it does an excellent job of being what it is - a real motor hotel that has been modernized for the 21st century. I wish other lodging properties, often costing me 2-3 times as much, were as good.
An older well maintained property. Good value for the price. The AC was noisy but works well. Parking near the door. Breakfast was ok, not special. Internet worked well, easy to connect. Good stopover spot.
This was a very nice hotel for the money. It looks like Best Western bought the property from another hotel recently. The rooms seemed a little dated, but dated does not mean bad - it was a very nice, clean room. Everything worked and they had an amazing breakfast. The area seemed very safe. Great staff as well.
This hotel is convenient to restaurants. Our room was very clean. Our room was comfortable, including the bed. The free breakfast was ok but nothing special. The air conditioner was not real cold but passable.
This hotel is very clean, nicely updated. Great hot breakfast, plenty of hot water. Multiple dining choices within easy walking distance. If you get a first floor room you can park right outside your door, so convenient! And no traffic noise!
I was traveling from Michigan to Oklahoma during the wonderful winter storm of December 2022. I made six hundred miles in the storm and needed a rest. The room was warm and comfortable. Just what I needed.
Room was clean but noisy as close to highway. Since lots of empty rooms front desk should give the quieter rooms to pre-booked customers. Microwaves in rooms need to be lowered so eye level to a person of 5 ft and not 6 feet tall.
Very nice hotel everything was good. Very nice room restaurant next to the hotel. I will definitely recommend this hotel to other people some are traveling when they are going this way true Missouri on I 44.
Convenient stop as we traveled from New Mexico to New York .....room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and got us on our way in the morning. Adjacent restaurant made our evening meal quite easy without having to "shop around".
It was a nice stay with a good breakfast. It was Home Coming weekend and all the other hotels raised their prices by 100$. This hotel kept their prices reasonable. The woman in the breakfast area did a wonderful job keeping the food full and area clean.
The non smoking room smelled like smoke. The sheets had a dark stain on them. The pillows were yellow. The breakfast was nasty! The eggs were gritty with water taste to them. The pancakes were flat and doughy. I do not recommend paying 100 bucks for a place like this!!
Just did not feel the room was up to standards. There was stuff sprayed on the ceiling above the bed. The bathtub had stuff in in looked like a repair of some sort but felt bad on the feet not knowing exactly what it was. The vanity to low to the ground like it was a wheelchair room. The carpet was in excellent condition which was nice, the bed linens were very nice although the pillows not to great. It was within walking distance of some restaurants.
We were warmly greeted upon arrival in the lobby, quickly checked in and found plenty of parking available. NICE steakhouse right next door within walking distance. Gas station across the road for that early morning fill up and on the road we went.
I was about to give up on Best Western, but this location is wonderful. The staff was helpful and really nice. The breakfast was good. The room was clean and modern. Thank you Best Western - Rolla, other zBest Western's could take lessons from you!
Had a great stay at the BW Rolla. The Manager was extremely helpful, the staff pleasant, the room fitted the bill, the location was great and everything was as or better than could be expected. If I passed this was again I would definity stop for longer.
The staff is very friendly . The room had no soap in the bathroom or by the sink went down asked for new soap was given it. We found a old dirty sock by the footstool TV area. We found trash and garbage by the wall
The room was clean enough. Breakfast met standard expectations. Housekeeping details were lacking. One small bar of soap for the sink (none for the shower). No shampoo. Two bottles of conditioner by two different brands (indicating one was left by a previous guest). Tissue box was empty. There was a shirt left hanging in the closet from a previous guest. Not sure if it was cost cutting measures or just oversight but either way it's lazy. Makes you wonder what else they aren't doing. Pool was out of order. When I checked out the desk attendant didn't bother to ask about my stay. Just asked if I wanted a receipt. Wrote a direct feedback review and got the form letter response below. Just felt like an overall level of apathy. “On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.”
Room smelled like it had been smoked in and musty. Bed coverings thin. Woke up sneezing and congested from whatever was in the room. Thankfully staff let me cancel our 2nd night. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I've stayed here before without this problem.
The phrase Lipstick on a Pig comes to mind when I think of our experience at this hotel. The rooms were cleaned, and the décor updated, but underneath there is mold, mildew, and so much artificial chemical spray to cover up the smell. It was so bad that spending time in one of the rooms sent my son to the emergency room with an asthma attack. We were there for 4 nights; mold was growing on the ceiling of my shower. In my son's room the ceiling started to leak, so on the 3rd night he was moved to another room, which the mold was so bad he could not breathe and ended up leaving the room and spending the night outside, and we ended up having to bring him to the emergency room because he had an asthma attack. Before my son was moved to the new room, I wondered why the door to this particular room was left opened during our stay, now I know, the staff was most likely trying to air out the room.
Great customer service. From check in to check out. Everyone was extremely helpful and offered great advice on nearby features and attractions. Breakfast was great and the entire staff was warm and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
Older traditional roadside motel -very well maintained and clean. Warm and friendly reception in checking-in and out. Rooms were very clean and modern. Comfortable bed and good TV. Many restaurants in walking distance - even a discount with the room key. Only disappointment - on the web page it says "largest pool in Rolla". It was 101' and even though I am an "old man" - I thought I would go in to cool off for a few minutes, But pool is closed for the season. They did have a sign about water parks in the area. It was not too big of a deal for me - but if a family chose this motel as it has a good size pool - they would be very disappointed. I think a simple note on the web sit that the pool is not open - might avoid some disappointed people!.
Rude check in and out personal, unhealthy health practices on placing forks with tongs up where others touch them, food not kept at proper temp. Tile floors in rooms not cleaned daily Need to be mopped to remove dirt so feet and socks do not get black. One of the worst kept Best Western inn I have stayed at and I stay in them 15+ times a year.
This hotel was easy to find, with easy exit and entrance to the interstate. The staff was very friendly. Our room was clean and stocked with everything we needed. It was perfect for us. We have no complaints whatsoever!
This hotel is in a nice area and we felt completely safe there! It was very clean and the staff was pleasant. The towels were nice and fluffy. The price was not bad and there is a very nice buffet restaurant next door. It is also pet friendly. I can't think of a thing I would change! It was perfect for us!
Clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. The only issue was a confusing tv signal. If I am in the area again, would stay again. Curious why there is a requirement by trip advisor to have a minimum number of words!!
Convenient location. Clean rooms. Extra clean rooms with nice furniture and a footstool that I enjoyed. Good TV. Close to town and restaurants. Friendly staff. Ice machine that works and is in a convenient location. Refreshments are handy. No noise from highway. Did I mention that the rooms were nice and clean???
Best Western Coachlight in Rolla, MO is a first-class hotel for amenities, cleanliness and most of all, service. It is close enough to the freeway that access is easy but also perched higher than the freeway so you don't hear any of the traffic noise. The full breakfast is delicious and served in a room with large windows overlooking a beautiful view. Most of all is the service, from easy, friendly check-in to making sure their guests are comfortable by phoning the room to make sure we had everything was OK after we entered our room and offering help if we needed anything. We would definitely recommend a stay there if you are passing through or staying a few days.
Great place to stay! I never expected a phone call from the front desk asking me if my room was satisfactory or if I needed anything within an hour after check-in. The hot breakfast was fresh and ready for us.
We pulled in after a long day of driving and were greeted with a smile at the check in desk in the lobby. In no time we were in our rooms. We booked a large suite, well worth the money paid, lots of room to rest and stretch out. Room was spotlessly cleaned, everything in good working order. Plenty of parking too.
Quick summary: Very comfortable room as expected of this class of hotel. Many amenities. Friendly, professional service. Very good hot and cold buffet breakfast. We stayed here one night on a road trip. We stayed in room #302, which was a ground floor room with two queen beds. To note: the hotel has two stories, but no elevator. Many amenities that we expect at BW properties - comfortable beds and pillows; coffee maker; microwave; fridge; desk/chair; iron/board. Chest of 3 drawers and an open (no door) closet. Comfy sitting chair. The tub/shower has the faucet control mounted too high for someone taking a bath, but I still love having a real bathtub at the end of a long day. Complimentary toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Bring your own body lotion. Complimentary wifi works well. HVAC works well. Spotless housekeeping. Friendly, professional service. Nice full hot buffet breakfast - eggs, meat, cereals, breads, toast, biscuits, juice, etc. To sum: this was a good stay in this class of hotel, and I would stay again.
This is an older motel tucked away in a rather remote location, which is good because of the outside doors. It has little to offer for breakfast, allow pets, and is average for the cost and location. With this said, it was close to my meeting and because of points, I would possibly stay there again.
They are the Best. Nice rooms, good internet, and this one had an excellent (buffet, steak, chicken, shrimp) restaurant within steps of the hotel. BWs offer a good breakfast send off too, all for a reasonable price.
We were surprised to find the staff and facility so friendly and nice. Very clean and well maintained, ample parking, good breakfast and very friendly and helpful staff. I'm sure that we will stay here again when we next travel to the area.
Spent 18 days traveling. This hotel was one of the best we stayed at. Nothing to find fault with, the staff, room and amenities were all good. We enjoyed the breakfast assortment and attention to cleanliness
Pro, Staff is very friendly, clean pool, clean room, room serviced daily,. location off or I-44. 2 restaurants within walking distance one is 24 hrs. Gas station within 1/4 mile. Con, Property (rooms) needs a face lift, lighting is fluorescent gives a dungeon feel, tub is showing wear. Dining room is small.
I work in the hospitality business and i never would of treat one of my guest the way that this hotel did. The staff Carryann, Robert and Rose were so unprofessional rude and treated me and my family like burdens. I ask for an extra blanket and was told that she was not allowed to give me one so i ask for a extra sheet for my 7 yrs old because we forgot his blanket. I was giving a fitted sheet. Next one of my rooms had mold all over the celling they did move my room, to another moldy room! When i asked if they had a non moldy room I was told no we already moved you. So disappointed in the Best Western. They made me count my towels in front of two different staff members before i could get new clean towels! When i checked out the next morning i had a charge of 180. I called and y told me it was for towels. I couldn't believe my ears. Trying to get a manger on he phone was a joke! Do Not Stay If you Want good service and clean rooms. This location is not it!
The Drury Inn is up on a hill with a great view of the valley! Your stay will be more pleasant than the Best Western Coachlight. If you are traveling with a pet, like we were, you may be stuck with the BW. The only advantage is that it's a motel, rather than hotel, so their are no interior halls (which meant that the dog didn't bark in the night). If you stay in a pet room, be careful, because our room STUNK of dog urine. We've stayed exclusively in Best Westerns on a road trip from Los Angeles to Detroit, and no other pet room stunk. When we told them at the desk, the first, unhelpful response was “Well it's a pet room.” Umm, no, the BW in Williams, AZ, in Amarillo, TX, and in Allen Park, MI did not stink. They eventually moved us to another room. It did not stink & was fine. The place was marginal, however, so we didn't even grab breakfast—it was COVID, in Missouri, while MO had the highest rates of infections & death rates in the country—happy just to get out of there quickly.
This location has outside entrances to the rooms. Cleanliness of room could have been better, dead bugs on floor in bathroom. The Staff was efficient and friendly and they have some hot breakfast items as well as the regular continental type items. The rooms have mini refrigerators and a microwave. Overall I'd say this is on par with other motels except for the cleanliness.
We decided after a hard 10 hours of driving to stop for the night. I was looking for something decent that wasn't going to break the bank, we decided on this Best Western and we're pleasantly surprised to find they are one of the few decent hotels left that still offers a few smoking rooms. Check in was a breeze, our room was clean and very nice, they have the good cable lol! And they called in the morning and asked us to just leave our door open when we left so they knew we had checked out. The food selection for breakfast was better that they Crowne Plaza we had just stayed in for a week.
Made reservations online at best western.com requested pet friendly room got confirmation arrived and was turned away because no pet friendly rooms. Then the front desk tried to say I must of used a third party web site and wanted to argue.
Dissatisfied by getting put into a rare room with a very limited view of the area. The hotel location was good as there is a very good buffet restaurant practically in the same parking lot as the hotel and thereby very hand for an evening dinner.
This is my go-to place to stay when visiting my son at school. The value is great and the staff is always friendly. No breakfast is served because of COVID so be sure to plan for that. Several options are close though so not a big deal.
Pretty much the typical motel. Convenient, other than a tricky roundabout to get there. Room was clean and adequate, but the beds were fairly uncomfortable and the bedding wasn't great. No breakfast because of COVID, but there were options fairly close by. Rose at the front desk is awesome. Make sure to keep her around!!
Room was very tidy and well taken care of. Plenty of towels and washcloths, bed was clean and very neatly made. Television worked well, plenty of channels to choose from. Call from the front desk upon entering the room was very thoughtful.
I could not make it to the hotel because of a snow storm. I tried to cancel but they refused because it wasn't 24 hours in advance. I will never stay at a best western hotel again. There are too many choices of a hotel to stay in with better customer service.
Overnight stay. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean, but the bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom needed to have mold removed from the shower stall and fiberglass shower stall had been painted and paint was peeling off making the fiberglass appear dirty. Not a bad stay but needs to update the bed and work on the shower.
I had had a bad break up with an ex and decided to do a bit (okay a lot) of drinking to soothe my ego. After drinking far too much I had the "bright" idea to go for a drive. One of the workers there caught me before I got to my car and walked me back to my room, convincing me to sleep it off and even stayed with me til I fell asleep. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
This hotel was an excellent value. The staff was friendly and maintained the property very well. The location is convenient with restaurants close by. I would definitely stay at this hotel when I'm in the area again.
We have stayed at Best Western Roll Mo. Since July 22 until present. The rooms are amazingly clean, and smell nice. The staff makes you feel at home and is always there to help in any way they can. I recommend if u want a nice, comfy, clean room to stay here. And they are pet friendly which is a major plus for my family..
The hotel looks nice and all but you can't judge a book by its cover. I've recently stayed and just at the check in was bad experience. The lobby stunk like someone was recently smoking weed or have been there for hours. Got the keys to my 2 rooms which were connected and they keys didn't work and had to come back all the way around back to the lobby to change them. Got in finally and it was hot. Turn on the a/c unit and didn't work. (how often does this room get booked) a smoke smell starting coming out so I had to turn it off. Had to leave the door open to the room that was connected so that air can flow. Turn on the TV, also didn't work. Call the operator, it was almost 10 PM I was tired from the trip and the guy was nice to offer another room but told me to go back to the lobby and get a master control remote to fix the tv issue otherwise he would off have to leave the Lobby and fix it himself (he didn't want to do). Towels were yellow. Thank got we had our own. On top of this.... Add on that people where having a party on the other floor that lasted until 1 Am. Next morning another guy was at the lobby and very rude when I was trying to explain our bad experience.
They charge for ETAs even though they are not allowed. $20 /dog no way.......tried to show respect 1st night and pay for a dog sitter and had at least a 4 hrs wait for a pet room to be available & refused service for standing up for my rights. Really terrible service and disrespectful of handicapped people
Hotel is really good and great location. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Great hotel for construction worker. We will stay here again every time we come to Rolla for work in future. Thank you best western Rolla.
We have used Best Western Plus often, but a few time Best Western. Although not luxurious they were acceptable. this place needs to close. you would think that with Covid, they would be sure to have spotless rooms. Floor in bathroom area was sticky. Serious case of mold by the shower head. Very little toilet paper in the existing containers and no extra ones supplied. Sheets have holes. We stayed here for the convenience to I 44. Will never again stay at a Best Western. We were too tired to check into another hotel. we will check out early and will not use the shower. Disgusting. I suffer from COPD and asthma and I surely dont need mold in my lungs.
I overall liked this hotel. The website I booked with origianlly out me in a pet friendly room, but I had no pets with me. The attendant at the desk was very nice and out me in a normal room. The onlt things I didn't like is that the beds were a little too hard for my liking, and I also didn't like how the manager was not that friendly and was kinda rude toward me when I tried to possibly get an early check in time because my day was jam packed with plans. The comical thing was that when I got to my room, I checked out the closet space just to see what it looked like and there were someone else's sweatpants in there. I didn't mind. I was too tired to worry about it anyway. I just got doen running sound and being the DJ at my friend's wedding over in St. James.
We were concerned as soon as we saw the exterior of this location but were too tired to make other arrangements. We checked in to find dirty towels from the previous guest in the vanity area, keep in mind this is during the pandemic. The lamps didn't work and they moved furniture in the room above us until 8pm and began again at 8 am the next morning. I nearly broke my neck on an extremely slick tub while showering. My spouse and I agreed it wasn't safe for them to shower. No doubt I shouldn't have stayed and my wife was furious that I wouldn't but after driving for 2 days from New York, I was just too tired. Don't stay here.
Rose at front desk was incredibly rude. We accidentally booked a smokers room. When asked if we could switch she denied us. After sitting in the room awhile we noticed a lot of dirty things. After debate and evidence we got a new room. Still do not recommend.
Traveled to Rolla to check out the area as a possible retirement community. Hotel was very nice but services were limited do to the COVID-19 pandemic. If I had one compliant we arrived about 2 hours early (1pm) and could not check in. Just wanted to unload the car not hang around, but I understand check in is 3. Would stay again.
Stayed here twice on drive to and from Illinois. Easily accessible off the 44, and less than 2 hours southwest from St Louis. Seemingly tucked into a hill, the hotel has a quaint feel to it. Check-in was easy, and staff was very friendly. Two stories with no elevator, so both nights stayed on the bottom floor near office. Make sure to request bottom floor if you have problems with stairs. Both times rooms were clean, comfortable, relaxing and quiet. Sirloin Stockade sits across from the parking lot, and was a very easy walk after a long drive. There is also a Waffle House just off the entrance, but the free breakfast at the hotel offered plenty of options and the staff kept everything stocked and clean. Reasonably priced well maintained. Highly recommended.
Perfectly adequate hotel for overnight stay. Good value for the price. Rooms are with exterior corridors rather than interior. Minor point for me but might bother some people. Good location just off the highway. Several restaurants close by.
Nice place. Had the car in at the Kia dealership getting repaired and they recommended this place as it is located next to Sirloin Stockade. Very accommodating for us as the part did not come in so we stayed an extra day. The breakfast was great, eggs, meat, pancakes and good coffee. Rooms nice all have outdoor accessible entrances.. fridges, microwaves but small bathroom.
Great for older or handicap travelers because you can park right outside your door. Rooms seemed recently renovated. Plenty of great dining right there too. Easy access to and from the interstate. We'll definitely stay again.
I had some medical procedures at the local hospital which required we be at the clinics very early in the morning. The Coachlight BW is perfectly located to restaurants and a short distance to the hospital. The Sirloin Stockade and Denny's are within walking distance and the food is excellent. The hotel offers a 10% discount at Sirloin Stockade. Easy access from I44.
Very clean and close other sites. Restaurants were very close to the hotel, then there were places to shop and go for quite time with friends. Gas stations were close as well as many different things to do.
Stayed here one night on our trip out west and it did not disappoint. The hotel was quiet (although not that busy), very clean and reasonably updated. The water pressure for the shower was good and shower head provided a comfortable and relaxing experience. King bed was comfortable. Breakfast was your typical hot hotel fare but fine. Overall, we were happy and would stay here again.
This is our go to hotel on our trip to Arizona each winter. It is close to Highway 44 and there are restaurants close by. The hotel is always clean and staff friendly. It is in a quiet location also. The staff are always very friendly and the breakfast offered in the morning always hits the spot.
Agent was very personable and exceptionally helpful since we were not from the area. We received discounts at two adjoining restaurants which we used! The rooms were clean and comfortable....very enjoyable stay.
On our arrival, we found the attendant to be very helpful. Alexis, the attendannt, provided us with good advices for dinner places; she also verified my profil in order to make sure everything was correct. Room was spacious and clean. The attendant even phoned us during the evening to find out if everything was ok... Breakfast was also good.
We got caught on an ice storm and found this hotel . The staff was super pleasant . The room was clean and recently remodeled . Right next to the highway on ramp , food and stores nearby . We felt very safe in the hotel . Everything was great ! They have smoking rooms which is mandatory for us so we will definitely stay again. Thanks for a great stay !
Excellent hotel! Very friendly and clean. Staff is very friendly and right off the interstate. Near restaurants and other needs of the weary traveler (aka a bar). Bed was comfortable, clean and I slept uninterrupted!!
Good hotel with friendly staff. Parking could be better around the backs end of the hotel. But other than that it's a good hotel for a decent price. It is right off the interstate and close to some shopping restaurants in the same parking lots and one down the road and a gas station across the street.
We've stayed at this location several times, and we highly recommend this hotel for anyone. It was clean and comfortable. Hot shower for sure! The night manager recognized our names and knew we stayed with them before. The service was quick and we'll be back.
They allowed pets, that is why I chose this hotel. Rooms were pretty edgy. Overall pleasant stay. No trouble, and right by a Waffle House! Staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice.
I stay at this hotel every time I travel through Missouri. It is conveniently located right off the interstate, although you can not hear the traffic from the room. There are restaurants within walking distance. There is a breakfast place right next door. There is a buffet style right in the parking lot. The grounds are well kept. The rooms are updated and clean. The breakfast is the typical hotel choices. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. I will definitely keep staying there when I travel through Missouri. It is also pet friendly.
We stayed here on our way back to Kansas, the room was fine, we like that we were able to pull up to our room to unload our car. The coffee was the best so far at all the Best Western's we have stayed at.
Room was clean, check in and check out went smoothly. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our time there. It is located in a safe, comfortable place. As members of the Best Western frequent user club, we expected a better room, closer to the entrance as we had requested.
This hotel had pretty good reviews on Tripadvisor, so I decided to book it because it was 16000 points. There is no elevator at this hotel, so be sure and take that into consideration when booking. We got a room on the first floor. Very spacious room with very nice bathroom, except no grab bar in tub. Nice big vanity. Fridge, flat screen TV, microwave. Work table area. Beds were great! This is an older hotel where all the doors open to the outside, and the office can be in a different building than the one you are in. The breakfast is in the office area, so you might have to walk outside to go to breakfast. We did, but not a problem. The breakfast was fine. When we first pulled up to our room, I was a little worried. There were a lot of people outside smoking, hanging over the upstairs railing, socializing, and lots of noise going on. It was about 7PM, and we were too tired to go anywhere else. We decided to go to dinner, and when we came back most of the people had gone into their rooms. There were still a lot of people outside smoking. Even tho this is a non-smoking hotel, they must have a hard time getting the smell out of some of these rooms. Our room was fine. They must have great soundproofing in this building because once we closed our door and retired for the night, we heard nothing. The next morning when my husband went out to go get coffee, most of the cars and trucks were gone. There was hardly anyone in the breakfast area. We would stay here again if passing through the area.
Helpful staff with directions to local restaurants. They seem happy to help and provide ideas. Very patient staff with plenty of ideas for securing our rental-moving truck, so it was out of the way, but safe.
I always stay in a Best Western Hotels. The stay in this Hotel was not up to par. DAY 1 on arrival. The white towels was a dingy BROWN with stains. The hotel room had a musky smell that stayed in the nose. The Bed was not neatly made. Day 2. The bed was only 2/3 rds made, trash not emptied, had to go get towels because we had none. Sinks and toilet not even wiped down. I complained at the desk and she apoligzed for her coworkers. Gave us fresh towels that was neatly folded and looked cleaner that the ones we had on day 1. The breakfast was great, the desk clerks were great help on places to eat and places to go see. Thats why I give 2 stars (desk clerks and breakfast).
Stopped at the Best Western Coachlight on our home from Springfield Missouri. The hotel staff were courteous and helpful. They recommended a restaurant that had good food and fun times. I would definitely stay there again.
This is a beautiful hotel on the outside. Breakfast and swimming pool were amazing! However, the room felt a bit dank and the smell was atrocious. We left early and management refunded our last night. Front desk was helpful to an extent. I was told that she couldn't do anything about our issues because the manager was off work and she wasn't going to call him. He apparently works alot. When I finally contacted the manager, he took care of us. Overall experience was a no. I would rather stay elsewhere.
Very nice, clean, courteous hotel. The room was tastefully decorated and immaculate. I wish I had that mattress at home. It was very comfortable. I would Definitively stay there again and highly recommend it.
We stayed here for one night as Rolla was our half way mark between Indianapolis and northern Arkansas. The hotel is located just off an I-44 exit. Make sure you don't go the "wrong way" getting onto and off this round about!! It's a little awkward. The room was comfortable enough and the location was satisfactory. However, the carpeting needed a cleaning. When we walked on the carpet with our bare feet after taking a shower, the bottoms of our feet were blackened from a dirty carpet. The color of the carpet was black and brown so it was difficult to notice that it was not clean until we saw our feet! We reported it to the staff and they were very concerned and apologetic. It did not spoil our night but it was a surprise to see this when visiting a hotel rated with Certificate of Excellence and many five star reviews.
Don't have anything negative to say. The room and beds were very comfortable . We didn't use the pool but it looked really nice. Staff were all very pleasant. Breakfast room was impeccable and the lady lovely even when railroaded by a Born Again. Such patience.
stay here on the return trip from Canada every year. always top notch staff. I always tell them I came for the biscuits and gravy, their the best. good choice of restaurants in the area. We love this place
Comfortable room, lots of space. Alec made it easy to check in. She also helped in getting maps printed out. Parking was a bit of a problem but that was because the hotel was full. Breakfast was great.
Very convenient location. Clean rooms and great staff. This was worth the stop. Needed to just get in get settled and get some sleep. The room was very comfortable as was the bed. Slept really well. ...
This place is fine for a night or two, but not great. The location is convenient. There are a couple of places to eat within a two-minute walk. The front desk people were polite, but perhaps they should welcome guests with a smile. For example, someone in the breakfast area who may have been somewhat in charge (I saw an employee asking him if it was OK to do something.) made no attempt to greet or smile at guests, or even make eye contact. The housekeepers were friendly and polite. The breakfast was OK. The visible parts of the room were clean, but when I was looking for something I had dropped, I saw a number of small objects under both beds, including a 3/4 inch insect. I suggest that the housekeepers be given more time to vacuum. However, to the manager's credit, when I reported this problem, he offered to make things right with rewards points. Be aware that there is no elevator in this two-story property, and it is motel style, i.e., there are no interior corridors.
The hotel overall is pretty nice, all of the necessities are there. Pretty low price and good location right off of hwy 44. Downside was there were a good amount of flies in our room. The hotel was sold out so we were in a smoking room. All of my clothes smelled like cigarettes after one night. I would definitely request a non-smoking room if you don't smoke. Also they have AC/heating units in the room that are pretty loud and a little outdated but they work. Some of the staff was really nice, others were not as friendly. The breakfast was decent, what you would normally expect. Overall it's ok for one night or two.
This was a nice place to stay and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and helpful and answered all our questions. We will return and stay here again. We recommend this hotel to all our friends and family.
Has totally been updated staff is nice and they have smoking rooms that also has been totally updated very nice and clean doesn't even smell like cigarettes breakfast is also good their eggs and potatoes are actually hot wish they had bacon instead of sausage but I can't have everything this is the only place I will stay when I'm in rolla
We booked the room a few hours before we showed. Great, clean room. Polite and helpful staff. We are our dinner across the way and used our room key to get ten percent off the meal. Breakfast was good with great choices and checkout was easy. Thank you for having a room for us!
We've stayed at a lot of different motels including many different Best Westerns. This place was top notch nice. Best place we stayed at during our many days on the road last week, hands down! It was clean and I felt very safe there!
Very nice stay with very helpful staff. Mira met our every need! Nice job Mira! Room was clean and comfortable. We had been on the road all day so we ordered Dominoes. Pizza was perfect and the delivery boy was hilarious!
Great location, outside unheated pool, did not use, too cold. Room for 6 was very spacious w/2 queen and sofa pullout, had 2 refrigerators and microwave. Could have been better with cooking facilities, it had plenty of room. 2 wall AC units, only one worked but that was satisfactory.
What a wonderful rooms and the staff is helpful and very pleasant. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Their breakfast was simple but warm and filling. Coffee was great. We are on our way south again and have reservations to stay again. I would recommend this motel to anyone.
From placing the reservation to checking out our experience was one of pure pleasure. We had stopped here two years ago on our way out west and made a point to stop again when we headed out again. Parking (we had a long trailer) was not an issue, area restaurants were within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful and our room was quiet and clean. We felt we received a good value for our money!
Great visit, I always use Best Western hotels when I travel. Always clean, staff always nice, great breakfast, beds are comfortable, cooling system works great, and close to where I need to go. Familiar.
Very unwelcoming manager/ reception Rooms are in need of refurbishment with old grey towels in bathroom, breakfast was less than basic . we have stayed in many hotels during our tour and this is the worse by far Would not recommend this hotel
We were traveling and very tired. We were welcomed by a very helpful check in. A comfortable clean room. Our nonsmoking room had not a hint of smoke. Slept well. Breakfast was satisfieg, We would stay again and will look for Best Western while on the road for sure.
Since I cannot give negative ratings. I will just state here. I will rate this hotel negative five (5). I felt compel to review this hotel so others can be aware. I booked for 2 rooms about 1 month ahead of time and yet our rooms are too far from each other (different floors). Then, I booked a non-smoking, and the rooms they gave us were stinky with strong smell of cigarettes. The smell of cigarettes sticked to our clothes and luggages and its unbearable. It is so disgusting! My kid is complaining how hard to breath inside the room. They don't freakin clean the room since the smoke is lingering. We complained about it and they told us that their corporate assigned the room. What the ***t!, they knew I indicated a kid in my bookings. This showed how their corporate don't care about the health of their customer for the sake of money. My family always traveled and this is yet the worst hotel we've been to. The manager did not even talk to us regarding our complain and try to find a way to make us feel comfortable. We sense because it's their corporate fault that put us in that situation. Aside from disgusting smoked-smell room, the sheets on the top of the bed is stained, the tub is not clean and the towels are stained. And then, one of the reasons why I booked this hotel is the pool, since my daughter likes to swim. I couldn't find in their website when I booked that the pool is not available during our stay. So much disappointments and frustrations in this hotel which most of it due to their corporate policies. Since this is the case, I could only conclude that this apply to their other chain of hotel. I will never suggests Best Western to any of my friends, people I know as well as in my work. Save your money. Save yourself with all of frustrations. Look for other hotel that worth of your bucks.
It appears the rooms were recently renovated which is great. Unfortunately we were provided dirty and stained towels. The bathroom sink did not have hot water and the shower had standing water due to slow drainage. The bed was very creaky. Any slight movement caused the bed to squeak. The complimentary breakfast was not appetizing. Breakfast sausages appeared uncooked, juices were overly sweet, and the gravy for the biscuits tasted awful. I would never stay at this location again. Absolutely not worth the $100 we paid for the 1 night stay. It was a very disappointing experience especially after having two wonderful stays at two other best western establishments in the same week.
Pet friendly, trailer parking, friendly staff, clean rooms, restaurants nearby, close to freeway, free breakfast, they make you write 200 characters which is stupid,so I'm stuck typing for no reason other than to please theMan
+JMJ+ While traveling to Springfield MO, decided to take a break and stop in Rolla. A nice sized small town with plenty of amenities. I decided on Best Western because I have been to some very nice ones. This was right off I 44 and was in a quiet location. A steak house was right next door and it made having dinner very easy. The room and all the hotel was very clean and the staff was efficient and helpful. I didn't really enjoy the fact that the rooms had outside doors but everything looked very safe. If you use your hotel key in the steak house you get a 10% discount. Breakfast area is a little small and kind of dark because I had to eat early in the morning and hit the road. The choices were good and was well stocked-if you don't see something just ask and it's probably there somewhere.. Used express check out so I didn't have any wasted time. Price was OK and not sure why the prices for the whole area were a little pricey. Also if waffles are your thing, it's right near the local Waffle House, but I thought the breakfast included in the price was fine.
The room was very nice and clean. The staff was wonderful, they helped with everything from a extra blanket to directions around town. Overall great place to stay. Breakfast was very good and lots of choices.
Motel looked great in side and out. Service was good. Cleanliness was good. But the most important part of a over night stay is the sleep. Which for me was terrible. The beds are like sleeping on the floor. Paid $89 essentially for a hot shower and to sleep on the floor. I'm in my 30's in good shape. I don't need a perfect bed. But I've slept better in my car at a truck stop. That's why the low ratings.
Nice place friendly staff good breakfast close to other food and shopping establishments Right next to the sirloin stockade and a waffle house and just across the highway from Academy sports easy access to interstate
Our stay at Best Western Coachlight was an awesome experience. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful. She was cheerful and provided us with needed local information. She suggested a wonderful place to eat and also called us as soon as we returned from dinner to make sure everything was ok and up to our standards. The room was nice and the free breakfast was an added plus with a nice selection. We would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family. We would also stay again if ever passing through Rolla, Missouri.
Everything worked, and the staff was friendly. The room was clean. Enough parking for a full size truck with 30' trailer. 2 restaurants within walking distance, and are worth the walk. Both offer discounts for BW customers.
I have stayed at this hotel once before, thus the reason for my 2nd stay. Room are very nice and have been remodeled here lately. Beds are very comfortable. Not complaints with the room!. Selection and quality of the food is good. The coffee is dispensed by machine. This is the only minor complaint, though there is coffee in the room for a fresher brew.
We were traveling with our cat. Room was very clean and handy to carry in litter box etc. we had room 113 on ground floor. Making reservations went smooth, even after having to cancel and reserve for different dates. Front desk personnel were all very considerate and professional. Breakfast was ok.
First time of traveling with our cat! I was hesitant of what a pet friendly room would be like. I was totally impressed! Very clean and did not smell! We were on ground floor so very convenient to carry kitty and things in. Kitty was very well behaved and enjoyed looking out the window all night! Service at desk was great. We contacted them a few times because of change in dates. They were great in assisting us! Definitely will be our stop again!!
Service and Breakfast is great. Stop in and discounts are available to BW customers that stay at local restaurants, namely the Tater Patch. Excellent food. Sirlion Stockade is a steak house/buffet almost in the parking lot. No walking a mile here for dinner either.
This was a motel type and okay for our needs. We were too tired to make it to St. Louis so we stopped here for the night. Reasonable rate, convenient location, friendly staff. Our room was right around the corner from the lobby, and we were able to park right in front, very convenient. Room decor was decent, room was very clean. Bathroom is tiny, shower water pressure was amazing! Breakfast was ok, not the best but certainly not the worst. Friendly staff.
Best westerns are wonderful Hotels, my wife and I try to stay in them as often as possible while we travel. The staff at this location were friendly, only problem we had with the room, was that it was very cold in the room even with the heat on high
Room could be updated, but it was clean. Sheets were clean and beds were comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. It is very accessible to highway and close to store, gas station, restaurants and CVS.
We have stayed here several times.and find the staff to be friendly and the rooms clean and quiet. Once we had trouble with the TV and someone was there within a couple of minutes to fix the problem. The morning breakfast is always fresh and tasty.
It was quiet and clean. The TV was new and breakfast delicious! I always stay here when visiting my grand-kids. My six-year old grandson loves staying with me; he believes the shower and TV are awesome.
To find such a good hotel on a moment's notice after enduring heavy rain and trafficfor hours on I-44 was an answer to prayer,I'd stay again in a heartbeat, hopefully in better weather, and not have toleave so soon!
The most important thing to mention is that, without knowing it, I had left a necklace behind. I was so thrilled to hear from the manager that housekeeping found it and that my property was being returned!! We stayed here for one night traveling with our dog. We found the room to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of selections and was hot. I can't recommend this place enough
Read reviews about the establishment, but this hotel was recommended and we received a discount as we were in town for the Heroes Half Marathon. You dont come here for the breakfast food, but you would like to taste something somewhat edible. Biscuits were hard, eggs were watered down. Orange Juice however was top notch!!! Our relatives had lukewarm water, we however did not. Wife went to talk to the staff-there was another visitor already complaining about the lack of hot water. The gentlemen at the front desk made zero eye contact and did not do anything to appease her. My wife wasnt going to waste her time with someone that wont listen. Coming back to run again next year, just not to this hotel. Side note: dont be fooled by all of the cars parked outside, they are eating at the sirloin stockade restaurant
We stayed there just to get some sleep on long trip. Room was very clean. Bed comfortable. Only dig was the room has outside entry and the walks were icy. For the price the value was good. Rather than a waffle machine they have a pancake machine that is slow and makes a tiny rubbery pancake..skip it. I would stay again because forbthe price and cleanliness of room it was a good value.
Quiet, clean, pleasant rooms. Nice staff. Breakfast offered a variety and nice to see paper products used. Far enough off interstate to not hear it's noise. The rotary to get there is new and not well lit so be careful if arriving after dark.
Friendly front desk staff allowed for a speedy check in. Comfortable and spacious room, but could have been cleaner, nice comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast was nothing special, just ok. Good coffee!
Pet friendly room was extremely nice. We had very comfortable beds and the room decor was lovely. The staff we interacted with were extremely friendly. The breakfast we received the next day was wonderful with a verify of choices.
The hotel was just ok, the bathroom is dated and the shower is terrible. The staff makes up for all of the bad bits, by being super kind. If your looking for a great breakfast, this is not the one your looking for. The biscuits were rock hard, and potatoes and onions were all onions. The upside they do have bagels and toast, cant really go wrong there.
UPDATE (visited OCT2018): Yes, came back for the sake of saving money; instant regret. Gross washcloth that should never be part of the linens, noisy bed spring that will keep anyone from sleeping or even sitting on the bed, the bath is either a fixer-upper or is mid-remodel. Cleaner/soap slime on shower wall created a very disgusting slip hazard. And thank you for installing an ice machine that constantly beep; annoying AF. Still crappy breakfast. It's a shame that the front desk folks are so terrific. It must be hard to polish this turd. The continental breakfast was awful. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign for our room, and the front desk didn't have any, either. Overall it was a bit disappointing, particularly when I've gone to terrific Best Western locations. The pool was drained - understandable for the season - and clearly needed a lot of work. There's not much else to say.
Just stayed there for the first time this past weekend, it's a very nice place, the room was large, laid out much better than usual hotel rooms, the room and bathroom was very clean, the bathroom was very nice, the shower was great, the staff was friendly and helpful, have stayed several places in Rolla over the years, the Pear Tree is also good, but I really like the BW, somewhere I read it was an older place, certainly didn't seem like it to me, everything was very well maintained and nicely decorated, I would highly recommend this place without reservation.
Just a short stay, but very satisfied. Great staff and a wonderful breakfast ! Easy access from interstate. Great recommendations from staff as to where to have dinner and a 10 percent off coupon to go along with it.
My daughter's high school softball team was invited to the Rolla High School Invitational softball tournament October 5-6. Due to a lot of rain, the tournament was canceled at 4:30 p.m. October 4th. I immediately called the hotel and was told the reservation could be canceled, but I would still be charged because of their 24 hour cancellation policy. I explained that it was due to weather and that I called as soon as I was notified about the tournament being canceled. Still charged me. Called the Best Western 1-800 Customer Service line and was told that each hotel has their own policies that corporate cannot override. That's too bad!!! Will never stay at this hotel or will never stay at a Best Western. Very poor community relations. Lastly, their were other families from our high school that encountered the same situation. Sad!!!
Every time I travel from Ohio to New Mexico, I try to stay at the BW Coachlite in Rolla Mo. Over the years the quality of service and the facility itself has been very good. I highly recommend this motel!
This hotel fit the bill very nicely for what we were needing. We stopped in late evening on a Saturday night and left really early the next morning... check in and out was very easy and friendly. Cost was cheap, room was clean, quiet, and I loved having direct access to my vehicle since it was just a quick stop for sleeping. Would definitely stay again.
It really looks like a coach house. Well laid out with amenities for kids and pets. Convenient to local eateries and very quiet. Rooms are comfortable and good internet service. Staff is attentive to your needs.
They were spraying for fleas when we arrived and that should have been our first clue. This is the first hotel we have ever stayed at that did not have clean towels! Unbelievable! We are avid Best Western customers and have never experienced anything like this.
Comfy cozy hotel right off the highway with friendly people working here. Breakfast has several good choices. Good restaurants in the area. Right off the highway and off Route 66. The rooms are very cozy and clean though the bathroom was a little small. Like the parking area but wish the pool had been available.
Nice room. Pleasant check In and check out. Great breakfast. On our way West to meet family we have never meet before. This was the first stop on our trip. We usually camp in tents so this was a nice change.
I stayed with my son few nights prior to move in day. Great cost benefit! Room is spacious and breakfast is quite ok. Breakfast area is small so on a busy day is challenging. Air-con can be quite noisy though. Easily accessible.
It was a good place to stay. I am not a fan of motels, but we did not have any problems. The free breakfast was good. i would recommend it for people who need an inexpensive place to stay. The value for the money paid was good.
Room was nice enough and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly better than expected. Air conditioner blew cold just like I like it. No complaints. Seems to have had some updates done so that was a nice touch. Didn't use the pool. Travels with two dogs and there was a nice big grassy hill in the front for them so that was nice.
Stayed here on a recent motorcycle trip and was happy with the price and the room. The rooms a comfortable, clean and the internet worked fine. The staff was friendly. A good roadside stop just off the expressway.
I stayed at the Best Western Coachlight Inn in Rolla, MO for two nights in August, 2018. The service I received was the best I have ever had anywhere. I had to change my reservation four times and never got a bit of pushback or change of price or anything. I had a backside first floor room right next to my parking spot, and frankly, I never wanted to leave. The entire hotel was the cleanest and most comfortable I have ever experienced as well. There was a crew (in addition to the room cleaning crew) working long days keeping the outside area spotless, sealing the brickwork edging to the walkways and the pool area, cleaning the pool, painting the stairways, etc. The parking area had been recently re-blacktopped, too, providing a quiet, comfortable, and safe area to park. The entire facility was spotless, bugless, everything worked and looked new, and the free breakfast spread was available (other than things that have to stay cold or hot) round the clock. Always fresh coffee, always fruit juice, always cereal, always fresh fruit. I was visiting an old friend and advised her to recommend this hotel to anyone coming to town. This has been the best place to stay anywhere I have ever been and I have been cross country by car multiple times. When I travel, I try to meet the main people responsible for the hotels I choose. Everyone at this Best Western was available, friendly, and informative at the random times I interrupted their day's work. Thanks to Mike, the Joe's, and the entire crew for all the hard work that goes into making this Best Western, the VERY BEST!!!!
BW Coachlight is at the southern end of Rolla, 2 doors up from the Route 66 Totem Trading Post. Very convenient for late arrivals. Lots of food options one street north. Easy to get back on Route 66 and continue our journey the next day. Staff were friendly. We had a ground floor room and parked right outside the door.
This was a really clean & friendly hotel. Room was spacious. We were driving to Petersburg falter spending several days in Branson. We had made several stops looking at stuff & had hope to make it to St Louis but we're getting tired. We called & they had a room plus it was cheaper than what was advertised on internet. Great sleep
My stay was very pleasant. People were very nice. The rooms had everything I needed. Everything was close. Breakfast was good, attendant was very friendly. I was able to print my airline ticket. One thing I would suggest is a scale for those that have to weight luggage.
Hotel was very nice. First time in a Best Western in a very long time. Best Western will definitely be my first choice the next time I need a hotel. Breakfast was good. The attendant at breakfast was excellent.
My friend and I took a weekend trip to the cave's near Rolla. We stayed at the Best Western Coachlight Inn. It was very clean, quiet, modern feel, free hot breakfast, great staff, and conveniently off the expressway. Really didn't care for the roundabout to get there but that's not their fault.
Staying at this Best Western Hotel was a real joy . The hotel was staffed with very friendly people , and would help you any way they could . We always choose staying at Best Western Hotels thru out our travels . R.H. Benson
Very clean rooms furnished with nice towels etc. The room was cool which was nice on a hot day. Fast and easy check in, super breakfast bar. No hot water in morning but only a minor inconvenience. Would stay again.
The best staff, the best breakfast, the best Stay! Great for pet owners, comfy beds, clean spacious rooms. Great discounts at local restaurants Best Western Rolla thinks of it all, when traveling thru to your destination.
Very pleasant stay good service and clean rooms, we had the morning breakfast and was very happy with the quality and selection. The general feeling was peaceful and restful, a great place to stay. I will stay there when I can
We made reservations through the 800 # and ask for a pet room. No problem, they said it's pet friendly hotel just pay the pet fee. Get to hotel they have charged our card and say oh you got pets you can't stay, we only have 3 pet room (wow so pet friendly). Hmm, Had to call the owner to get a refund.
Great spot to stop with the family and dog on the Route 66 trip. We started in Chicago and headed west. This was a nice spot to stay at that was dog friendly. Had pizza at one of the local restaurants they recommended, and checked out some of the local attractions they recomended while we were in the area. Will stay again next time through.
The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. It is close to the highway and conveniently located. Staff was friendly. My only complaints were that the A/C unit in our room seemed to just circulate room-temp air. It didn't actually cool the room at all. And, the tub didn't drain well. By the time two people took quick showers there was standing water up to your ankles. We informed the front desk and they apologized and said they'd look into it. Overall the room is kind of outdated and old feeling, but it's just fine for a night or two. Breakfast was good too!
Great hotel except for ants on TV table in the morning. Parking in front of door is always a plus. The room was really large and TV , shower and air conditioner all work great. Breakfast was very good.
We where greeted very friendly when we came in looking for 2 nights stay. When everything else was booked to the max. This was the first time staying here I would definitely stay here again! The rooms where very nice and clean, staff was so nice and freindly. They had the coolest pancake maker ever. The kids love watching the pancakes come out and they where delicious too. I can tell you this too I loved the option to get coffee anytime from the kitchen. They also had fresh fruit on hand if you wanted a snack.
Motel was pet friendly. The beds where very comfortable. Bathroom a little small, but clean. Very close Rt 66 and UM. Easy access to your vehicle with exterior corridors. Good price for traveling with a pet.
The staff was very friendly. The check in was very quick. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Televisions were large (I loved the remotes that are cleaned and put in a bag). Many channels to choice from. Check out was fast and easy. I would definitely stay there again.
I stayed at this property in April 2, 2018. Made my reservation online. It markets itself as Pet-Friendly, says they ‘welcome pets, please call the hotel for more information. The worst falsehood was on the website the list Queen 2 bed as $89 with all the amenities and the choice below it is the same but ‘pet friendly' room with amenities also listed for $89 . I called the hotel about my reservation with the dog and he never told me there was a surcharge for the dog. I am not opposed to pay9ng for my dog to stay with me, but definitely feel this was misleading. The hotel manager, Mike, told me too bad and refused to correct the misleading info on the website or to refund my $20 surcharge. I was a member of the Best Western loyalty program but have quit as I will not stay at one again.
I didn't want to get a room right in Springfield, MO. I was heading to Chicago from Texas and it is too far for a one day drive. I was pleasantly surprised that this hotel was located close to many restaurants. The rooms were nice and the staff friendly!
Rollo was our limit after 24 hours from CA with only gas stops. We just stumbled in, gave our Best Western and AARP IDs and went to bed. We did notice that the room was very clean but on the small side, and the decor dated, but only the clean part mattered. In the morning the breakfast was good, per the usual Best Western. All in all, a good place to stop if for any reason you need a bed in or near Rollo.
The rooms are clean. The rooms are modern, up to date. TV, Internet all worked perfectly. Nice, friendly service. Nice refrigerator and microwave. Waffle House within walking distance with 24 hour service. I will stay again.
My husband and I booked a room here for St. Patrick's Weekend because it was the only one with rooms available. We got a confirmation at booking, and two reminders, one being the day of. We got off work, drove two hours, got here to check in, and they said our room had been given to someone else because they tried to contact us by phone on file to see if we were coming, and we didn't answer. They recited the correct phone number, (which had no missed calls) We leave, go book at a terrible motel, pay there, and then Best Western calls to let us know there was a mix up and our room was actually ready. They charged us once for "not showing up" and a second time for them rebooking our room which we didn't authorize. They were terribly rude, and unprofessional.
Excellent place. Clean, quiet and nice breakfast. Easy access. Front desk very helpful. Hard to say anything ore about it, to get them minimum chararcters to get this review accepts. Great place and will stay here again.
For the price we paid we were very satisfied with our choice in this motel it was a very clean comfortable room - the place looks new and their staff member Joe is friendly and helpful. we'll be back.
Cosy, clean, friendly, high quality, quiet. Stayed one night for event at Rolla S&T. Parent and child. Would definitely stay again if visiting the college. We could have fit two parents and two children.
This was our second stay at the Best western in Rolla. The people were very helpful with all the information we need to get around town to shop and eat. Getting to the Best Western is very easy just off I-40. Great place to stay .
Superb facility! You will not find any better. I give this Best Western infinite stars. It is beyond your wildest expectations. Perfect in every way.All positive and nothing negative. The facility was flawless from the room to the lobby, breakfast and dining area. We even used the laundry facility and it was great. Stay here when in Rolla. You won't be disappointed! I personally guarantee it!
My family and I spent 2 nights at this location. Each time we stayed in the Double Queen Suite and we love it! It is HUGE! They say it is two rooms in size. We found the staff to be very friendly, professional, and accommodating. Front Desk Clerks Cole, Joe, and Marlon went out of their way to make our stays pleasant. The Breakfast bar at this location, attended by Marlon in early am was very nice. That said, this location had some issues for us: 1)The towels were dingy on our 2nd visit; some just didn't look clean 2) The bed sheets were scratchy and my daughters seemed to be allergic to the detergent used on them. 3) There were only 3 restaurants close by. The Buffet was not good at the local Steak House. Overall, my family and I will lodge at this BW whenever we have to return to the Rolla, MO area.
Dated on the outside. Desk lamp was broken, but otherwise, kept updated on the inside. No elevator to 2nd floor. You have to go back outside to the lobby where you check in to get ice. It was very clean and very comfortable bed and bedding.
The accommodations were very nice, I also had my puppy with me. The dog room was very clean and had no problems with the room. Breakfast was good and was promptly open early for use by the customers. It is easy on and off of the highway 44 lots of places to eat nearby. They have made many improvements to this location.
Room looked to be updated within last several years. room was tidy, had a microwave/fridge. Breakfast had a good variety for a hot breakfast. Kids enjoyed it. Great value for a quick overnight stop while passing through
Very welcoming and accommodating staff. Easy interstate access. Uncongested area. In keeping with Best Western standards, room was clean and comfortable as well as quiet. Breakfast bar was delicious. Directions supplied on web site were accurate thus making it easy to locate.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone that wants a great experience and friendly staff. They usually go out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. We stay here every time we go back home to Wisconsin as our 1/2 point both there and back home to Texas. It is easy to get to and never really had a bad experience. Would give them 5 stars...
My wife and I have stayed here at Christmas time for a few years now, to break up the drive from the Chicago area to Piercetown Arkansas to see my parents. This year, we went down on Nov. 2nd last minute due to my moms death. BW had a promo any property nationwide for 10,000 points per nite. I booked it over the phone and was set, or so I thought. When I arrived and went to check in, I was greeted by a young lady named Bethany (a manager). She told me that she could not give me a room for 10,000 points, it was a much larger amount to stay there. I explained that I booked it through the reservations line, and it says online that it is 10,000 points! She had a very disgusted look on her face, and after playing with the computer, said she could not find a way to enter the points into the system and I would have to pay the regular price. She did with a seriously bad attitude. I informed her that I had just driven 400 miles, my mom passed away earlier that same day, and was already exhausted from the days events. I informed her that was unacceptable. I offered to call online reservations so they could guide her through the process of using the points. She replied in a very snotty tone that she didn't need the help, she knows what she is doing. She then proceeded to say she still couldn't guarantee there wouldn't be a charge for the room. I took the key and my wife and I went to the room, and proceeded to call online reservations. The person I reached called the hotel and talked Bethany through the process and got the room for the 10000 points. He even said she had an attitude when he talked to her! When we checked out in the morning, Bethany was there . I wanted to check to make sure that there was not a room charge, and without apologizing or even looking at me, she replied in a very condescending voice that if we didn't have a pet, steal anything, or damage anything, NO! Luckily we have stayed here before and knew this was not the norm, otherwise, wife and I would never have stayed here again!!!! I sure hope the owner reads this. I have not exaggerated about the details at all! A great property with 1 BAD apple. Update: we are here for the holidays, and we haven't seen Bethany. We told our story to an employee , and they said, oh, that must be Bethany. She has numerous complaints!!!!! We really enjoyed our stay (for 10000 points and a very smooth check in!). I am amazed that Bethany is still employed here, much less in Management!!!!!!
I came in quit late, and the front desk clerk was very accommodating. I got to my room very quickly. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower has very food pressure. All around great place to stay.
The staff was friendly from check in to check out. One night stay on the way to Branson. Helped fix remote 10 minutes after call. Breakfast was great and had many options. Room was spacious and had great furniture.
Hotel staff are polite and professional. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. The hotel is surrounded by convenient and yummy restaurants, and is conveniently located near I-44. However, our rooms were very quiet. I'd definitely stay here again.
Convenient access from Thruway. Front desk service was friendly and efficient. The room was large. Furnishing were adequate. Very comfortable bed. No road noise. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay here again.
Nice, clean, affordable rooms for pet-lovers on the road. This is regular stop on road trips between Texas and Michigan. Really like the pet-friendly rooms that don't smell or look like they've ever had pets in them.
Old but clean. Need to update furniture. Mattress was comfortable. Not much noise in hotel. Slept well. Breakfast was ok. Front desk personal were helpful. Only complaint I have is they need to upgrade Wi-Fi. It would only work some of the time.
The desk clerk all she cared about was her boy friend or husband. It was like hurry up and get out. The bed needed repairs. Clerk gave the wrong access number to the wifi. It was like one thing after another.
Great experience in a newly remodeled and updated facility. Superb staff. Excellent breakfast. An older facility that now looks and feels new. I highly recommend this hotel. Quality for an affordable price.
We stayed one night on our way to St. Louis, The room rate was reasonable using our AAA discount. Our room was large with a king bed, chair and ottoman, frig, and microwave. it was clean and comfortable. The bathroom did leave something to be desired. The drain cover on the tub was off, but looked like they had tried to glue it in place, The tub also had a patch, Everything was in working order with plenty of hot water. It was quiet and had plenty of parking. The location is easy to find off the interstate. Breakfast was what you would expect and was kept well stocked. Staff was friendly.
We stayed here for MST Parent's weekend. The hotel was full, but it was easy to get the breakfast. Nice offerings considering it's included. The room was nice and the staff was very helpful. When we got there the heat wouldn't turn on so they came up and fixed it right away. Good thing too because it was a very cold weekend. We will definitely stay there again.
Room was clean and functional. Breakfast was just OK. Stairs to second level were steep and narrow, this place could use an elevator. Staff was friendly and efficient. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Would go back but might ask for a first floor room.
We stayed in this motel several years ago and it was fine. So when we were going to Rolla again it seemed logical to stay in the same place. I would not recommend it to my worst enemy, Two out of 4 mornings we had no hot water. Another morning no housekeeping came in because they went home at 10:30 AM. And when we went to check out, the manager was not available but had authorized the desk clerk to give us a 10% discount which we thought was an insult. The manager was also supposed to call us to discuss the problem and we have never heard from him. That was 4 days ago. Go anywhere in Rolla but the Best Western Coachlight!
Restaurants nearby the hotel so plenty of choices. Rooms were clean and ok but not extravant. Quiet and close to main roads for easy access. Parking sufficient. No bugs. Was pleased enough to come back a second night.
We stay here every year for at least the last five years on our way back from Canada to see family. with the new updates that they started two years ago. We stay in the suite and did a fantastic job. The breakfast is the best every year. Plenty of places to eat nearby or delivery.
Best of the budget friendly hotels in town. Clean rooms, wonderful outdoor pool, friendly and helpful staff. Also dog friendly for the times we bring our pup along. This has become our Go-To hotel in Rolla for visits at S&T. Good value for the price.
On my trips to New Mexico, I usually stop the first night West of St. Louis in Rolla, MO at the Coachlight Inn. Over the years this place has been a welcome stop for the night. Reasonable rates, clean rooms and a great breakfast to send you off on your travels.
Stayed here one night on trip from Chicago to San Diego. Room was clean and nicely furnished. A restaurant is located next to the property. This was convenient because we stopped late in the evening and were tired. Didn't want to spend time driving around looking for a place to eat. Restaurant was just a few steps away.
This Best Western has been remodeled. It is very nice and clean. Breakfast is great too. If you are in Rolla, Missouri, I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. Great manager and staff. Good bed.
The young man who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was fine for one night; however, I would not stay there longer than that. The room was supposed to be a non-smoking, but someone had smoked in there recently.
We were traveling back to IN from NMx and needed a place for the night. Very good choice. Room was clean and inviting. We were able to grab breakfast before continuing on our trip. The cost was actually lower than other stays.
I didn't actually stay here but my picky cousin did and I went inside. I thought it was pretty nice. They had refrigerator and a microwave. Plus it's close to several restaurants. I would definitely stay here.
We traveled through MO. and only stayed one night, but this hotel exceeded our expectation. The room was clean, well stocked, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was ore than adequate. We will be stopping here again on our return trip.
Highly recommend this facility. Rooms were clean, comfortable, easy access. Eating establishments close by. Staff was extremely nice and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. Worth the money. A plus motel.
Rolla has bee a stopover on the drive home for many years but this was the first time we stayed at the Best Western Coach House. It is pretty average BW. Clean, quiet and good access to the Interstate. There is a restaurant up the hill through the trees or you can walk all the way around. It is called the Tater Patch. Just down the hill is a Waffle House. Breakfast is served at the BW but we were jonesing for WH.
The hotel was in a great location and was close to places we like to visit when we're in Rolla It's very pretty were this hotel is located. The staff is very friendly. We definitely plan on staying there again.
The hotel is very clean! Appears to have recently been upgraded because there is wood laminate flooring in the entry area of the room, then new carpet and the bath has wood laminate flooring. King bed was clean, comfortable and had lots of pillows and a blanket that looked new. Plenty of water pressure and hot water. Shower had the deeper bath tub with anti slip finish and great shower head, fluffy towels and wash cloths. Basic amenities but we carry our own body wash, etc. Flat screen TV worked great, mini fridge kept drinks cold, in room coffee maker appeared to be new. WIFI was strong. Our room had a hair dryer but we didn't use it. Heating-air conditioning unit worked flawlessly and kept us cool on a hot night. We were on the ground level, parking outside our door and it was quiet. The hotel sits off the road far enough to help reduce noise. They offered a complimentary breakfast but we chose to sleep in. Coffee is available all the time. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again if in the area. We also booked direct with the hotel and saved $10.00!
We stayed 1 night, our first at any Best Western, and were pleased. Everything is freshly remodeled with modern decor, bathrooms nice, beds are firm, tv better than some, refrigerator a large college size, very clean and cool, microwave, closet, desk with a darn nice chair, a couple of outlets, and an upholstered chair by the bed. No elevator. Breakfast includes eggs, link sausage, oatmeal w several toppings, yogurt, a pancake machine, pastries etc. Note: milk for coffee, jellies, etc are in an under cabinet fridge I failed to notice. Very nice place for the price and staff at check in and check out were nice.
This is a good, well-managed hotel, typical of Best Western, for a reasonable price. Best Western generally gives you good value for a lower price than ritzier but more expensive chains, which is why we like it.
We had a great stay, room was very spacious and clean. My girls had enough room to run and play without complaining. Staff was awesome with acomadations I needed for the stay for when we arrived. Had a blast!!!
Stay here 1-2 times a year. Front desk is always very pleasant. Rooms have always been clean, never had a complaint. Breakfast is always good and there is a buffet restaurant in the same parking area for lunch or dinner with which makes it nice not having to get out and drive to get something to eat right after checking in.
We have stayed here once before and it was a bit worn. They were starting to do a refurb so decided to stay again. The refurb has been done well so the facility seems much newer. The staff is nice as you would expect at a Best Western. One thing that make it so desirable to stay here is that is close to the interstate. Easy on and easy off. You can see the highway but you do not hear it. Very quiet.
Nice stay. Was access interstate and many restaurants. Staff was quick and friendly. Liked walking to pizza place and sitting by pool on the hot day. Clean, easy, enjoyed stay! Well stay again. Thanks BW Joplin
Non-smokers in a non-smoking room, we nearly always smell some traces of cigarettes in a hotel room, and have to be careful not to stir up my wife's asthma. The room we stayed in, however, was not too bad, even though some cigarette smoke odor was present. The surprise was the number of butts all over the sidewalks and in the near parking lot...scattered everywhere (noticed them around our car when we arrived at night and even more in the morning). And, my grandson and I had to walk off the sidewalk to veer around three different groups of smokers to get to the breakfast area...and I am quite certain one of these groups was staff near the front entrance side door. I didn't see staff throwing butts on the ground, but would hope efforts are made to sweep early and often to clean up the walkways. Otherwise, our stay was pleasant.
We appreciated that this motel was very convenient and comfortable with our dog as a traveling companion. Located next to several restaurants, it is also easy to find tasty food. Breakfast in the motel was very nice. Also right off the highway, so easy on and off while traveling.
The staff was friendly & informative. Room was extra clean. The breakfast host was very attentive to everyone's needs. She was helpful & nice to the guests with children. I was very impressed with the overall exceptional quality of all the amenities. Breakfast was the best. Will change from Choice Hotels to Best Western when & where they are available.
For the price, I thought the room would be more pleasing. It was musty and there was mold on the shower curtain and ceiling over the shower. Air didn't work in the first room. Had to relocate to another room.
I been staying in this hotel for few months now. I really love the staff in hotel.. Room is always clean and fresh looking. Breakfast always wonderful, Super wifi, Large swimming pool. Hope i will stay with this hotel when i coming to this area.
We did route 66 with motorbikes and one of our stop was Rolla where we stayed in the Best Western Coachlight. Retrospectively we must say that this hotel was very good, very nice and friendly staff, a fantastic and refreshing pool (clearly the best pool of all our 14 hotels from east- to westcoast!), clean rooms. We would definitely stay again in this hotel. Absolutely recommended.
This was a great hotel, very clean and staff was very nice. My only complaint was the breakfast area only has a few tables. During a busy weekend there is no where to eat. It was so crowded that we finally just took our plates to a waiting area. There were people standing and eating. I felt so sorry for a lady in a motorized wheelchair trying to get in there to eat breakfast.
Location is great just right off interstate. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially james doing wonderful service. Room is large and very clean. Hot breakfast wasnt bad but advise to add bacon. will be back again in this area.
front desk very helpful, very nice pool good coffee ,you can walk to the tater patch for supper, very good.breakfast was very good. rooms are very clean.Waffle house open 24 hours, mule trading post was not that far a way on old hwy 66
We went to best western after driving so long and needing rest. We walked in and they did have a room for us even though it was last minute. The young lady behind the desk made sure we were comfotable and had everything that was necessary. The hotel was very clean. Theroom was well stocked and very very clean. The bed was wonderful and so comfy. Finally after driving 500 miles we got a very good and very restful sleep. We will be stopping there on the way back to arizona.
Bethany at the front desk was very friendly and went out of her way to not only have our room cleaned early for us but also called us when it was ready. We had arrived over 3 hours before check in. They have an outdoor pool which was clean and awesome! There was a Sirloin Stockade restaurant walking distance which has an amazing buffet reasonably priced. ROOMS CLEAN.
WE arrived at 2;30 AM, after driving 9 hours with our 4 month old baby. The front desk knew we were coming in late, because we called ahead of time . Tey we prepared for us, got us checked in and into our room. very polite and helpful.
Nice hotel and conveniently located to the interstate. It rained overnight and it was obvious one of the outside drains was not working and as a result the sidewalk was flooded. Unfortunately, I did not Notice it until my feet were 2" underwater. Hopefully, this will get fixed
Our room smelled of urine probably made worse by the fact it was raining. The way to the office was not covered so we got wet checking out. I understand that this hotel accepts pets so the smell of urine may have been animal (or human) I could mot be sure. Older motel, could use an update. The bed was comfortable.
Stayed here overnight on vacation. Hotel is easy to get to . This is a very nice facility with friendly staff. the room are clean and comfortable and everything was in working order. There are two places to eat right out the door
Much better then described in Route 66 travel guide book. Would stay again if the opport unity arrises. Tommy's Tater Patch right around the corner wad great.!! Did get bad directions for 66 when leaving that morning.
This was a very good hotel. The staff was friendly, very energetic, and professional. The rooms were not fancy or of the latest decor but were very clean. It was right off the highway and easy to get to. There were several restaurants with in sight of the hotel. The breakfast was free, but not the best of quality. I would still highly recommend this hotel.
Reasonably priced for a clean, comfortable stay. One of highest quality breakfast that we've had a a moderately priced establishment. Quiet but bed was somewhat too soft for us. Pleasant personnel . Very convenient express check-out.
Kudos To the staff at the Best western, Rolla, Misssouri. For the price I paid for the room I was extremely satified. After a long drive it was nice Hotel to stop off ad get a restful night sleep. I would stop off and stay if returned that wa,,
This hotel has excellent customer service, other than that it's a standard hotel room with pretty thin walls and a less than desirable free breakfast. For the price, it's a good deal but otherwise just a standard Best Western Hotel.
I dropped my child off at Missouri S&T for a summer camp. I had a chance to stay here twice in a week. The beds was comfortable and the water pressure is excellent. You have 2 restaurant within walking distance and a ton of other restaurants with in minutes.
We were traveling from PA to Arizona and stayed here overnight. The staff was helpful and friendly, we had a good breakfast, and the beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again and I recommend this hotel.
Raining when I checked in so I was given a close room and allowed to park under the entrance awning. Also, 10% off at local eating establishments, but I highly recommend Rob & Kricket's Tater Patch! Great location just a walk up the hill on the trail through the woods. Full bar, full menu, friendly service, and best of all live music most nights especially on the weekend and during the school year as this is a small college community.
Thank you to everyone, especially Brent. He was an AWESOME front desk agent and I truly appreciate all the effort he put in for me and my family. He had a great attitude and went above and beyond for everyone that he interacted with. Next time we come through Rolla, MO this is definitely where we will stay!
When we arrived at the best Western we were treated courteously with respect and all of her needs were met quickly and nearly perfectly. The room was clean, the temperature was very comfortable, and I appreciate an amazing water heater for good showers :-) In the morning we went to breakfast early and it was delicious with a good variety of foods from which to choose. Overall it was a very pleasant experience which we repeated for three more nights at different best westerns on the route of our trip. We will be taking a vacation next year and plan on using best western then as well!
Charged for pet even though and not informed of charge until we checked in. We made reservation and informed agent we were travel with dog and no mention of fee was made at that time. Will stay at la quinta or Hampton inn for any future trips.
We enjoyed our stay. Was really empressed to how nice, and clean our room was,and when we went down for breakfast, how nice and clean it was there also! And the employees were very helpful and courteous!! The grounds were very nicely kept also!! We would definitely stay here again!! Thank you Joe J for everything!!!
This is an old facility that is in the process of being updated. They are doing a good job making things look nice. It is a large facility with outside corridors. We have avoided such places over the years but found out how easy & convenient they are for unloading your car. Water pressure good in the shower, bathrooms small but sink is located adjacent to the bathroom and that is always more convenient than having everything in the same room. Breakfast was just okay. Had the regular items, my husband was happy to see biscuits and gravey included. Towels were thinner than usual. Staff was pleasant. Bed was comfortable BUT it had worn out springs which made noise every time you moved. There was stormy weather overnight and we lost electrical power for an hour or so. This is the 1st Best Western we stayed in on our 3 week road trip. Price was lowest of all other motels and of course you get what you pay for.
Hotel rep was very informative and professional. The parking lot was large. Very happy that there is a washer & dryer on site, as I had already been traveling for a week. Room was clean, quiet, and had all the amenities, plus wifi for internet access. Plenty of restaurants nearby by lunch & dinner. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful - seriously, the best I've had ( everything you could ask for & delicious ). Will absolutely stay here again!
Very clean updated rooms. Even had soft water for the shower. Breakfast was hot with great attention to detail. Staff was super friendly and helpful. You could tell the renovations they did were well done.Great stay.
The continental breakfast was awful. There was no 'Do Not Disturb' sign for our room, and the front desk didn't have any, either. Overall it was a bit disappointing, particularly when I've gone to terrific Best Western locations. There's not much else to say.
We saw three different gentleman- checking in, at breakfast and checking out and all 3 were terrific! We would definitely stay here again. The beds were extremely comfortable. Great wi-fi as well! Check it out!
So, it's an outdoor pool and I didn't catch that when I reserved my room. The rooms had been recently renovated. Our first room (109) looked nice at first, but as I went to check, I noticed that the bed scarf (why the heck do hotels put those on the bed anyway?) had a a weird dark stain on it. Then I turned on the bathroom light and saw that the vent thing was dangling from the ceiling. So I went back to the desk and said I was going to stay somewhere else but was told because of the time we had checked in, we wouldn't be eligible for a refund. So, I asked for another room. Was taken by the desk attendant to inspect this other room. It looked better so I just took it. However, the toilet rocks when being used, and the shower handle came off in my 11 year old's hand. And the towels had stains, too. And there was another stain (coffee?) on one of the bed scarves. I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they get the bathroom's inspected again.
Going for a college visit, not expecting luxury, but we found it here (ok not the Ritz, but definitely go to place for S&T visits). Newly renovated, "heavenly" beds, both night and day staff were awesome, great breakfast options - will def do again...Waffle house nearby that allowed for a late night meal too ;)
I had a great experience at the Best Western Coachlight in Rolla, MO. The entire hotel has recently been remodeled; from the exterior to the furniture in the rooms. The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel is located in a part of town that is easy to get to and is still very close to restaurants, stores, and more. There were various breakfast options and the front desk attendants were helpful and friendly. Great return on investment. I will DEFINITELY stay at this hotel every time I am in the area!
I was impressed with the hotel and staff. The staff was friendly and were readily available when we arrived at 1:30 AM to get us checked in! After a long drive where we almost got stuck in the snow of Maryland and West Virginia, the process of checking in was flawless! The beds were what have come to expect from BW VERY COMFORTABLE!!! The hot water was like I like it HOT!!!! This was a quaint and peaceful hotel that is located right off the highway!!! Breakfast hit the spot too. Fresh Fruits, yogurt, pancakes, biscuits!!! Plenty of biscuits!!! Thank you to the staff for situating us and your awesome Customer Service in a time where most have forgotten the importance of CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Based on reviews from TA, I booked this hotel. The rooms were nicely remodeled, we had a very quiet night, and a decent breakfast. Though the hotel is older, it is being maintained.. The only reason I gave it an average is that the beds are very hard and the bathroom is a bit small.
We have stayed here multiple nights while traveling to and from Scottsdale,AZ from our residence in Central Wisconsin. Being pet friendly is one of our requirements. We have always been satisfied with our accommadations
Again, I used Travelocity to handle my stay, but I was amazed by great service desk. So nice, smiling, attentive. Pleasant young lady gave us great advice for our dinner. Morning was beautiful. breakfast was excellent. I was recovering from my previous horrible experience day before. I started "healing". Young black man from service desk had the biggest smile, made me feel special.
I was moving with my 4 children from the southwest to Midwest and happened to pick this hotel based on trip advisor reviews. The hotel itself is being remodeled and we stayed in a remodeled room which was wonderful and well done. The breakfast was awesome and great choice of options. The reason I'm writing this review is what happened after I left. I was somewhere a few hours away in southern Illinois when I realized I left something important to me in the fridge. I called the hotel thinking it was unlikely I'd get it back. I contacted the hotel and they told me they would look into getting it to me. When I was contacted back, I was told they were willing to travel to get dried ice and container to ship it in as well as contact UPS for overnight shipping. I gladly agreed to pay and they went about getting the needed supplies. I was contacted throughout the process and sent shipping number. It didn't stop there, I received a follow up email the next day to make sure I received my delivery. I have traveled quite a bit and have never received such amazing service! It was way beyond my expectations and so unexpected! I highly recommend this hotel and their staff if you're ever in Rolla! Thank you hotel staff for making this weary traveler have an amazing experience!
Never stayed here. Access to this hotel is simple /easy. Check in was very good. Receptionist /clerk was just great /prompt and ready. She offered a choice of options. Which I appreciated greatly Room was roomy, Clean and well equipped. Bathtub was a little bit on the cruddy side. But still served the purpose. Probably would stay here again.
We requested a non smoking room but was given a smoking room. We had no problem getting it changed immediately. Very comfortable room. Enjoyed our breakfast. Did have a problem getting directions to the motel because of the round-abouts. We are not fans of round-abouts.
I was quite comfortable at this hotel except for one thing. I had a non-smoking, non-pet room but it smelled smoky. My pajamas smelled of smoke the next day, so it was bad enough to be in the bedding. That's a deal-breaker for me. Except for that and the rusty water when I turned on the bathtub tap, this was a nice place.
Great option in Rolla a short distance from the freeway off ramp. We had a king sized standard room. It was very quiet and far enough away from the freeway so noise not a problem. Parking was within 6 feet of my room, made for easy unloading, especially in the rain, which we encountered. Nice carpet and furniture. Walls recently repainted. Comes with the usual heat/AC unit below the window, half sized refrigerator, microwave, a desk and a stuffed chair with ottoman. All appliances looked new. Be aware, no freezer in the refrigerator. Sink is outside the bathroom and has good counter space. Breakfast was very good. Usual assortment of scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes, cold cereals, breads, etc. I was thrown off because the website said continental. There is an excellent Thai restaurant a few blocks the other side of the freeway.
The hotel was very nice but this was our 6th stay with Best Western and this time was a little harder to check in. The gentleman at desk didn't seem like he was ready to be alone . But the morning was different and was still happy we picked BW.
The Best Western Coachlight in Rolla is a very pleasant and updated unit, offering nice clean rooms, excellent front desk service, great breakfast and lots of nearby restaurants and attractions. Also sits right on historic Route 66, making it a great base for checking out the area.
This hotel is awesome, it is clean and nicely furnished. The price is right with the loyalty card, the breakfast was the best we ever had!!! The manager, JoeJohnson, was extremely helpful when our key would not open our door, he took action without hesitation to fix it. He was friendly and courteous, clean and nicely dressed, my wife and I enjoyed talking with him during the checkin and fixing the key problem. This hotel is the model all motels should emulate!! Thanks!!!
My husband and I stayed here one night on October 17th. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. Overall it was an okay stay. An odor was bothering me all night. I really wasn't sure what it was. It was just a musty kind of smell I thought. I finally figured out it was stale cigarette smoke, although it was a non-smoking room. But, the place was clean, shower was good. The breakfast was above average and the breakfast room was spotless. However, I'm not a fan of the "vending machine" type coffee for breakfast. Overall for the price I paid, I would probably stay there again but would check that the room was indeed a non-smoking room.
This hotel was booked as part of our Route 66 tour and it was fine and comfortable for one night. The rooms were equipped with refrigerators and microwaves, although there are restaurants close by. The hotel has an outdoor pool but we didn't have time to try it out! The rooms were spacious and we had a good night's sleep on comfortable beds. Breakfast was included but we decided to go to the Waffle House next door to the hotel! A basic but good hotel for a one night stay.
The staff was VERY friendly & helpful. The room was clean, comfortalbe and decorated nicely. The ONLY thing we REALLY did NOT LIKE was the bright WHITE lighting in all the lamps & lighting. That made it less comfortable for us. Everything else was GREAT! Can't comment on the breakfast because we went to Waffle House next door.
Very convenient location on I-44. The hotel is undergoing extensive remodeling, and our room was very nice, with the surprising exception of the non-HD TV that had horrible sound. The room was very clean, and the desk staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was nice.
As usual, it was a nice quiet stay. Good breakfast, good people, good price. If you want fancy schmancy, go to New York City and spend your life savings at the Hilton. If you want affordable and comfortable, at a motel that actually worth what you're paying, you'll stay at Rolla's Best Western Coachlight.
The prices are perfect and it's spotless, location is wonderful experience was outstanding. From check-in where Erica was especially helpful to a perfectly clean room to breakfast to checkout. Always better and better every week. I will continuos stay with best western rolla.
Nice motel with parking in front of your room. It's very clean and comfortable with great beds and pillows and a refrigerator. The bathroom has good counter space and the shower is very efficient. We stay here twice a year every year on our road trip between Michigan and Arizona.
Very nice rooms and well worth the price with the exception of one of the two rooms. Toilet was not working when first used and staff brought towels to soak up water and a plunger for them to use theirselves. That did not work and there was no offer to change room by the front desk. I was in the other good room or I would have been more vocal about a change then my family members. The next morning the front desk (new person) offered a slight discount to the room price as well as stating he would talk to night people. I doubt we will stay here again.
We enjoyed the last night of our vacation at this hotel. It was easy to find but the driveway is a little congested and we could not park directly in front of our room. There was some renovation going on the exterior and that took some of the parking spaces. Variety of places to eat and they offered 10% discount at the restaurant we chose which was within walking distance. Free hot breakfast was really good. the pancake maker wasn't working right but we didn't want pancakes any way.
The room had smokers in it in the past you could smell it. When you request non smoking rooms and they spray deodorizer that is only a temporary cover up. If it wasn't for the fact there were smokers in the room it was clean.
Locate right off the freeway exit, yet a quiet room. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I was offered discounts on eating at several establishments nearby. The room was perfectly satisfactory with no problems encountered. I might suggest a room away from the pool side as it was very quiet.
we stay here every year in the same room. all of the remodel work was impeccable. we were very impressed and look forward to next year. breakfast was great also. haven't had biscuits and gravy for years and these were excellent. d
Well I came in from a pouring rain on my bike soaked through. The girl at the desk was helpful with coffee to warm me up. I ran to the room and quickly got out of my wet clothes. Then I find i am being dripped on by a leaking ceiling, since I was in my night clothes i did not ask for a different room, found stains on both bed covers. I did tell them in the morning, expected some sort of concession but, none was offered.
We stayed over in Rolla for a baseball evaluation. Our room was clean and very comfortable. We had a fridge and microwave. Tv was flat screen. We had a breakfast with hot foods and some continental. Staff was very helpful and friendly. With the hotel stay we got 10% off food at taters, sirloin stockade, and the Waffle House. The pool was closed because it was fall but it did look well kept. The rooms did have only exterior access but we felt safe. We would stay again. Good price for a good place
comfy bed called to get out twenty minutes before checkout, maids wanted to get room clean! I thought it was rude as heck. Bathtub had some kind of yucky stain in it looked like it was just soap scum that could of been scrubbed off. and some splatter on the wall in bathroom. definitely could of been cleaner in there. sink fixture was loose also could move it around thought it was gonna come off. other that that it was decent.
We were relocating and chose this as it was stated as a best western, so not the case. Race track located behind the hotel which wasnt stated anywhere so no sleep could be had until 1 a.m. Food left a lot to be desired.
As the last night of our long road trip, 11 days and 2,900 miles, the Best Western Coachlight was quiet and restful, completely away from highway traffic and noise, yet only a couple of minutes away from the interstate. Our accommodations were all we could ask for. The hot breakfast was the best. A very pleasant ending to a wonderful vacation.
Front desk staff was friendly. But beds were dirty and stained, see pic attached. Stains on pillows, sheets and had cigarette burns and holes in the comforter. Discusting. Rooms had fridge and microwave but didnt date to use either
Nice clean place with comfy beds. We Felt safe And there's even a big pool. We Would stay again. The Room was not to over priced. And there's a Good free breakfast. Also all the employees I spoke with were nice and super helpful. Rolla was just a stop for over night for us
The room and beds are so comfortable and the staff was excellent and the pool my kids loved it we would stay there now when we come back to town the breakfast was good my kids loved there pancakes and gravy and biscuits
My husband and I stayed here on the last night of our vacation. It is convenient, right off the highway. There are small mountains around and beautiful scenery. We booked a king size room and it was very spacious and comfortable. It had a very comfortable bed, desk and chair, separate table and chair, microwave and mini fridge. The shower and toilet room was a good size. The pool area was big and the pool was wonderful. They have a nice area for breakfast and it was a hot breakfast. It included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fruits, cereal, waffles etc. It was very good. I would definitely stay here again. Oh, and right in the same parking lot there is a restaurant that serves a buffet. And you get a 10% discount if you show your room key.
We were part of a group that needed to stop for the night on our way to Tulsa. We wanted to find some place inexpensive but comfortable. We were not going to be able to take advantage of the pool. Pleasantly surprised with what appears to be updated rooms. Very comfortable and clean and great value. Breakfast was very good as well. As he said when we checked in everything but bacon. They provided eggs, sausage, pancakes, etc. Again nice surprise
updated rooms, furniture, and eating area were very clean. Breakfast area could use some more seating, but the food selections were plentiful and fresh. The pool area was clean and the water was just right.
This facility must have had a complete makeover. It looked like an older property but everything had been updated. The room was quite nice and quite relaxing. The bed and the shower were both great (the 2 most important things for me). We really liked everything about this hotel and the price was reasonable, in fact, I almost felt guilty paying so little for such a nice hotel.
Beautiful hotel, with amazing staff. Rooms were clean, updated and felt very comfortable. Good beds and great shower pressure! The breakfast was so good and the breakfast room was very updated and beautiful. Would recommend 10 out of 10! :)
the pool was nice and clean. The king size bed was comfy but very squeaky. Air worked on low but would kick off on high. We had a fan so we were comfy. Just like in other reviews, mildew on shower curtain. Shower would not drain very quickly. Nicely remodeled. Good paint, carpet, bathroom counters. The 2 chairs in the room were kind of gross. Very nice view of the rolling hills. Horrible breakfast, are those real eggs? 2 bad bananas, we went down the road to Cracker Barrel. I would stay again. Just a quick overnight stay.
We were very happy with our stay here. Clean and nice. Good rate. There was a great selection of restaurants in town and down the road in Liberty. Loved the bed and the shower. We slept great because it was quiet and had a nice breakfast there.
Helpful highly professional staff Easy access from Interstate 44 Great restaurant in walking distance Clean, quiet room however only complaint is room much smaller than most Best Westerns and price higher than previous larger rooms at Best Westerns
First night we arrived they had rooms available but only 4 rooms for pets so we stayed at a nearby hotel. Called next morning at 11:00 and said yes we have a room available but we had to check out of other and into new one but room wasn't going to be ready until 3:00 but we are here cause my mother in law in icu critical condition so we need to be at hospital not jacking with hotel rooms as we have other family at this hotel. Well if you pay extra $25. We can get your room ready. We paid it. The rooms are nice we have in our room one comfortable bed and one bed that is like a torture chamber. Morning after first night there front desk calls and says we have to check out that they gave a reservation for our room and no other pet rooms! He will give me a few minutes to get ready to check out (12:00) check out is (11:00) so why didn't he call at 11:00 who knows! This is one best western I will NEVER stay again.
After several days on vacation and numerous hotel stays, the Best Western Coachlight was a nice experience. All of the staff were friendly. Although the hotel is older, it has been updated and nicely remodeled. I only wish our room had been closer to the lawn because of our dog. BUT, we booked at the last minute, and I have to say that it was one of the better nights on our 7 day trip!
When booking the hotel, we were just looking for some place we could stay for the night and be on our way - and for the price and our purpose it was fine. Overall the room was very clean. My only complaint on the room was the shower curtain was dirty, it just needed to be washed. Breakfast was a little disappointing. We weren't expected anything huge, but the options even for a continental breakfast were extremely limited. Also, the milk my son got for his cereal tasted and smalled bad. But again, for the price and for the limited time we stayed, it suited our needs.
I would stay here again when I am back in Rolla. Staff was friendly and the property is updated as well as close to eating places. Rooms were clean and quiet. The morning breakfast was very good and a large selection. The on and off the freeway was very convenient and easy for being in a new area. Restaurants are very close by with good food.
My only complaint is that the do not have an elevator. They should tell you this when booking or in their ad. The employees were very pleasant and promt with service. Great views from the hotel. I would stay here again.
Some pros: price, comfy bed, breakfast was good, but need to add healthier options, such as oatmeal, and fairly clean. Cons: sheet and comforter stained, shower curtain had mildew on it, very small bathroom. I would stay there again because of the price.
A friend and I stayed here on our way to the East Coast. We had reservations so our check-in was quick and easy. The rate for our stay was about $100 for one night. We were in room 129 which faced the pool. The hotel wasn't too busy so we didn't hear much from the pool area. The room was clean and comfortable but a bit on the small side. The A/C ran all night (but this was in July with temps in the mid 90s) but it was fairly quiet. Because the A/C ran all night and the location of our room, we didn't hear much highway noise. There were plenty of electrical outlets to plug our phones into. Breakfast was the typical hotel fare - microwaved fake scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy and machine made pancakes. The pancakes were pretty good considering they came from a machine. For someone who is a picky eater, the options were very limited. This is a good place to stay if you're just traveling through the area.
Hotel had been remodeled since the pictures on the website were taken. Clean, neat and quiet. Pool was clean. Front desk was amazing! We did a throughout check for bugs and not a one to be found. i am a bit of a coffee snob and motel coffee can be sub-par, but even that was pretty good. Lots of towels. Breakfast was about as good as it gets. Everything was hot and stocked. Gosh, I could go on and on.
Greeted by a very pleasant checkin clerk. She graciously showed us and gave us a map for where we were headed for dinner. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was quite adequate. Overall a very pleasant stay. We would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend this hotel to other travelers.
We stayed at Rolla the motel was very nice we stayed twice once leaving home and then once coming back home. there was a restaurant very close which made it very handy. The motel also had a breakfast which was very nice and displayed so you could see everything that was offered. I would recommend this motel if you are traveling in this area.
As we travelled along I-44 in Missouri, we grew tired and looked on the TripAdvisor app to find a place to stay for the night. We stayed one night in a double queen, Room 118, for a total of $89.58. The staff was friendly and helpful at check-in. In fact, they offered that our room key would get us a 10% discount at the Waffle House next door – which we took advantage. The room was clean and everything was in working order. The beds were nice and we found no critters when we inspected the beds. The bed linens were clean and fresh. The shower worked well – nothing fancy, but effective. The property has a nice outdoor pool. There is a fitness center, but I didn't have time to use at this property. Breakfast was similar to what you get at other Best Westerns. The dining area is small – even cramped. The lady attending to breakfast seemed to know a lot of people that were eating in the breakfast area. I would certainly recommend this property. It was the cheapest rate that we paid for a double queen room during our vacation. This is a nice property. TIP: The Waffle House next door is clean and decent. If you arrive late, it isn't a bad place to grab a late dinner. It is a short walk from the hotel.
Stayed at this hotel for one night after a day at fugitive beach. I would say it's the best looking hotel in Rolla. Right off I-44 and next to a couple restaurants. Has a nice pool with a surprisingly pretty view. Rooms were very clean and I liked that they all had access to outside versus indoor hallways. Beds were comfortable, wifi was good. Overall very good.
We stopped in Rolla for the night and the place was very nice and clean..The staff was very helpful with answering our questions on where to eat and all the local things to do. We would stay there again.
Very nice hotel with newer updating. The staff was friendly and professional. There were good choices for breakfast. The hotel is right off I-44 and there are good restaurants close by. This is our second stay at this hotel and I would recommend it.
We had a family reunion and chose to stay at Rolla Best Western. The service was terrific, the staff friendly and the breakfast was delicious. The room we stayed in was newly remodeled and comfortable.
this is a great place to stay for many nights, the people her are very friendly and will go out of there way to make your stay the best. the rooms are nice, they have tile in the entry way and the bathroom area, they have great customer service, i would recommend this hotel to anyone that is wanting a great place to stay for a nice price
Typical Best Western, the staff was exemplary, the room well worth the rate... except that in our room [307] the bedframe squeaked loud enough to wake the Mrs if I moved. Definitely not the honeymoon suite...
1st time we stayed at bestwester in Rolla , Mo .We are suprised at how clean and comfortable the room were. We were greeted by staff member we saw during our stay. We had hot break fast in morning with news paper. Internet spedd is very fast. very nice and clean.
It was OK, it's a place to sleep. It wasn't an expensive stay by any means, but our non-smoking room smelled of smoke (or something). Breakfast was decent, though I didn't want to touch any of the sausage gravy sitting in the near gallon sized can. The pool doesn't open until 10am, which isn't ideal if you're looking to get a swim in in the morning before continuing on a long journey.
I would say very good services for the pri e they quote. The rooms were neat and clean, absolutely silent environment and helpful staff members. I would surely like to stay at Best Western every time I visit this place.
Nice hotel for the price of the room. Friendly receptionist with opinions on pets staying at the hotel--all good. Will probably stay at this hotel again when in the area. Good value for the the room. Decent breakfast. Easy access and decent restaurants within easy driving distance.
we were made to feel very welcome after a hard day of riding in the sweltering heat. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. We had adequate parking for our motorbikes. Everyone was super kind and helpful and friendly.
Me and family loved it so much we plan on staying there on our way back. If I was able to stay longer me and my family would. I would recommend this one to everyone.Next time I hope to use the great looking pool they have.
I like the rooms because they are very comfortable, peaceful & quiet. The breakfast was a lot nicer than the breakfast that they serve in other hotels that I have stayed in. Breakfast is a huge determining factor on which hotel I choose to stay in. Your staff was very friendly and professional. I really like the location of the hotel because it is convenient that it is right off of the interstate. Thank you, I would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends/family in the future.
OMG I wouldn't even leave a stray dog their. I had a feeling to go see the Hotel before check in @ 3 o'clock thank God I did because the place was nasty the world nasty doesn't even describe just how nasty this place was...went to the front desk no one was their had to go looking for someone asked to see a room they let me into a room OMG the smell....it smelled like someone had urinated in the room the bed was made I asked to see the oh you can mattress he told me no because I would mess up the bed. I don't even feel like this place deserve 1 star. They let people live there on a regular basis the place was nasty I wouldn't pay $80 dollars a night to stay there. I wouldn't pay $5 dollars Best Western needs to do undercover boss here there needs to be alot of changes. Thank goodness I cancelled my reservation before check in time so I could get my money back. NASTY NASTY PLACE DON'T STAY HERE!!!
Very nice rooms, quiet, bed was very comfortable. Good quality for breakfast. Price is reasonable. close to filling stations and quick eating of fast food if that is what your looking for. Hope this site goes to less than 200 words-we have lives out here.
They were all very friendly the room was clean and breakfast was great plan on staying again in the area my leg was hurting so they gave me e tea bags to make an ice pack the Internet was easy to get to and they went above and beyond when I was trying to print out a coupon. Brad the manager was very helpful
Room was standard, clean, not overly impressive. Only issue was room service barging in at 9:30 AM. Knocked once and within 5 seconds door was opening before I could get to the door, ignored my yelling of hold on.
We were on the road looking for a place to stay and found a Great deal. Staff was very helpful and professional. Breakfast had a good selection although seating was limited but there were a lot of people trying to eat breakfast. The lobby and room were very clean, beds were comfortable. Conveniently located off I-44.
Great place for short stay. Location is great; easy to get to any destination from hotel. Discounts offered by adjacent restaurants is a bonus. If you do stay here, I suggest eating at "the Tator Patch" ; it's wonderful, great food, great selection, great service, comfortable seating.
This was an excellent stay. The whole facility was clean, quiet, and we'll maintained. It is very convenient to the interstate. The have great staff. The breakfast is very good. We would definitely stay here again.
I was very happy to find this hotel. It had everything I wanted, a smoking room, microwave, small refrigerator and coffee maker. Also a comfortable bed, a recliner and almost all the comforts of being in my own home.
Just a great central location for every and all activities. Visit Potato Patch for the best baked potato ever. Close to all relevant businesses. Easy access to I 44. Employees are super polite. Very good value for the money.
Great value. Clean and well maintained. Efficient and courteous staff. We were just in town for a one night stay. Easy access. Rooms were updated. Beds were new. Parking was well lit. Great location with quick access to the MST campus and interstate. Will definitely stay here again.
good hotel, very convenient off of highway. could use more parking, very full hard to park car in back section where the room was.rooms were good and breakfast, good selection, clean but small rooms and breakfast area. a bit more space would make it much better
I stayed here every week and it always superb. The hotel and staff were exceptional. The staff was very helpful and friendly showing all local restaurants in area and printing out direction for me. Free hot breakfast was awesome with a huge variety to choose from. The room was clean and large. Great location and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
My husband and I took a trip to Rolla to check out the St. James Winery and do some hiking. The reviews of this place said it was a good place to stay, plus they have smoking rooms. The front desk clerk was friendly. Gave us our room key and let us know that we could get a discount at a few local restaurants and shops with it. Told us that if we had any questions about where to find something, to let the front desk know and they'd give us directions. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. It looked like they had done some remodeling recently. Unfortunately, the relatively new paint or carpet kept triggering asthma attacks our second night there. Not their fault, but something that you might want to ask about if you have allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems. The breakfast was fantastic; way above and beyond what one expects from a continental breakfast! There were little omelettes, sausage links, pancakes, cereal, danish, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee, and biscuits and gravy. I love hard boiled eggs, but rarely make them myself so I chowed down on those. The person in charge of the breakfast area was warm, friendly, and welcoming. When we checked out, the person who checked us out was very nice. Made sure that we enjoyed our stay and invited us to come back. It's a really nice place for a reasonable price, and I recommend it to anyone visiting Rolla.
There are no Best Western signs at the west bound exit, making this hotel hard to find. There are signs going east bound. The clerk on duty said the owner only paid for 1 interstate sign. This is on interstate I-44
Front desk manager Joe was extremely professional, understanding and knowledgeable. The room was very Clean, Beds were soft and comfortable, Nice hot breakfast, and very good internet. Great location easy to access from interstate. We will stay again in future.
I was on a personal trip and stayed at this hotel for weekend. Full hot Breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, and pancake, Nicely clean room, affordable price, and everything was outstanding. staff were friendly and very helpful. Great location.
I stayed with you all last week I was happy with everything and I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the motel and the willingness of the front desk lady and the owner to accommodate me looking forward to staying with you all again this is Levi with Reeves construction out of West Plains Missouri
Room are nice and very clean, excellent hot breakfast, good comfortable beds, flat screen tv and fresh coffee available 24hrs in lobby. The staff are very helpful and friendly man and young girl doing awesome job. Our stay was very enjoyable.
Hotel has just been remodeled, looks very good. Rooms were very clean. Staff very nice and helpful. Continental breakfast very good. I would reccomend this hotel to family and friends. Best hotel in Rolla, MO/ Next time we come we will stay here.
I love the upgrades that have been made to the hotel lobby and breakfast area. It is a very pleasant environment while visiting our clients and we enjoy staying there. I dropped my scarf on my way , and the attendant held it for me and gave it back the next day. clean room with hot break fast along with plenty of choices. Good place to stay and the price fits our budget well.
Great location, resonable price, hot breakfast, clean room and very quite place. we found this hotel very staifactory. we only stay here one night but will stay here again when in the rolla area. i will recommend this hotel in rolla.
First of all, the 2 employees of the evening shift and morning shift were very helpful. The evening shift gal came up and fixed the refrigerator and the morning shift gentleman gave me a tip that was very helpful going thru rush hour St. Louis and he was right!
Room and service was excellent - received 10 percent off meal at nearby restaurant by showing key card!! Would highly recommend a stay at this facility if you are in the neighborhood!! The breakfast was really good also!
A great location for small town. We stay at this hotel every year and fine the location is close to Everything and The staff is friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean and updated nicely. Breakfast is superb. once again location is just right of interstate.
We checked by smily face lady . She gave all information what we needed . Room was clean and neat with comfortable beds . Room has many plugs for charge our electronic items. We got hot breakfast in morning. All staffs are very friendly and anttantive . Especially manager is very anttantive , informative and hard working. Walking distance 2-3 restaurants. Shortly, our stayed was perfect and stay here again when we pass through Rolla .
We stayed 2 nights over st.pats weekend. Staff is friendly and location is great. Room were very nice clean and comfortable. I don't want to complaints about the peoples running up and down and knocking doors and noisy around because of celebration weekend. It was great stay.
This hotel was noisy, because you could here people turning the The room was small and the bed was kind of comfortable. I would not recommend this hotel to other people. It was clean, though. It served a simple breakfast in the morning.
Great hotel, pet friendly, beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the staff was friendly, There were 2 restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely consider this hotel in the future when traveling in that area. We were able to get a room late in the afternoon without trouble.
I come in rolla every quarter to visit my son. we tried most of hotels in rolla but we like only 2 hotels in rolla. This is one of them. because of very freindly staffs with clean room along with comfortable beds. wifi is very fast and easy to conect with internet. Breakfast has plenty of choice with hot and clod items. price is resonalble too.
Great clean rooms great breakfast in the morning front desk personal is informative about about the area and great places to eat will recommend to all my heavy haul trucking companies to stay at plus the prices are fair
Very impressed with the wonderful staff! They are very courteous and very professional! Not only were their rooms clean and tidy, I noticed that the rooms were very professionally remodeled. They had a very modern feel! Peaceful, quiet and comfortable! Also, they have a delicious, full hot breakfast with fresh biscuits and gravy "yummy" my favorite! I confidently recommend staying at this Best Western coachlight hotel, if your passing thru the Rolla, Missouri area!
After being on the road for a month, this BEST WESTERN was by far the best place I experienced . It was clean , plenty of hot water with water pressure , lots of towels and did I mention clean! Excellent front desk staff both day and night..Thanks
Great place to stay. Over all the stay was nice and so were the people. Very clean and very friendly. Breakfast was good. Easy to find off the interstate. Conveniently next to steakhouse and waffle house. front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. I'll be back for sure. Thank you
After long drive we stopped at Bestwestern in rolla. We checked in by smiley front desk lady. Room was clean with comfortable beds. In morning, we got hot breakfast with choice of foods. All staffs are very friendly and attentive including manger because manger stop at breakfast room and ask about experience of stay and service that's call service. We were very satisfied with this hotel.
Room was very clean. Far enough off the Interstate to be quiet. Heater fan goes on and off all night. I finally turned off the heat until the room got too cold. Full breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Pet friendly. Nice grounds to walk our dog.
Great front desk staff. Great location right of intersection, food and activities. Property very clean with all the amenities as mentioned. Great breakfast in the mornings and its included in the price. We will stay here again.
Had a horrible experience finding bugs in both beds. Told the staff at desk and was given another room. Expected the problem to be reported to the manager but did not receive any apologies from the manager nor acknowledgement of any problem. Would not recommend this hotel!!!
broke up a 700 mile trip with our stay at rolla,mo best western. best choice we could have made. very professional with well appointed rooms. breakfast was from 6 to 9 am. we arrived at 545 to find it set up and ready to enjoy.
Very nice and clean .Shpwers and bed very clean and comfortable. Easy to get to.After a day on the road was well needed. Hot shower and a good meal is always needed. Tired and exhausted needed food and sleep
This was a last minute stop, but it was a very nice Best Western, clean and well-maintained. My room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast area was bright, and the food was good, with a good selection. I would stay here again.
Great location right off interstate and they are updating the hotel. Hot breakfast and very friendly staff. Beds are heavenly and rooms nicely sized and clean. My stay here was nice we will stay again.
This is a nice place to stay. I travel for work a lot. The staff was great. The room was nice and clean. I recommend and it's very reasonable. Easy on and off the interstate, just watch out for the roundabout.
We were traveling in that horrible rain storm right after Christmas. We do hate those round-a-bouts getting you to places, but this B/W is located right after it and up on high ground. Check-in was easy and the price just right, the staff is very friendly and kept everyone informed about the weather conditions. There is no elevator, so if you are disabled, make sure you ask for a 1st floor room. There are no interior hallways, the door is on the outside, so the floor will get wet when it's raining. The room was very comfortable, nice size, refrigerator & microwave, nice tv but you couldn't get a lot of the stations that were listed on the tv schedule sheet. The breakfast was very good, a nice variety of hot & cold items, but the seating area is a little small. Overall, I would recommend this place.
comfortable room and nice breakfast. great access to US I44 and State Route 63. Local restaurants conveniently located also trip advisor is stupid and wants me to use 200 characters or more to say that..
I stayed at Best Western Rolla Missouri last month. Stay at BW was comefortable and had no issues you with the services and amenities. I would highly recommend stay here as its closer to highway and restaurants. Also, the room price was not expensive.
I checked in originally for one night but needed to stay two due to weather. The staff was very nice and helpful, lending me a corkscrew and providing extra coffee packs. The room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable
Very clean, great staff, good breakfast. The location is accessible and convenient. The equipment was all new. No smelly rooms, very clean bedding. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would go there again.
Very pleased no mess no fess easy check in. Very nice and clean good Service and friendly. I had one the best times when I stayed here. I would recommend it to anyone I stay in hotels all the because I travel for work this is a very nice and affordable place. Thank you Ric Dunn
This was our third stay - it's an ideal location if you're traveling west from St. Louis and want to avoid traffic in the am. The service is always prompt and courteous, rooms are quite comfortable. The internet works fine, what more could anyone want?
The Coachlight is a friendly, convenient spot for a night's stay. For me it is a great location just off the interstate on the west side of Rolla. Check-in was quick and friendly, the room was quiet and comfortable, and breakfast was easy. What else could you want?
Room was sufficient for our overnight stay. We were on the second level; the concrete walkway needed repairs; it was bubbled and coming apart. Breakfast area was located in a "terrarium" style area and didn't offer much lighting (if up before sunrise or it's cloudy). The person managing the breakfast area was also front desk person, so had to get their attention to checkout. Would stay again if needed, but have other places along the way in MO as well; just depends on if we're ready to stop for the day.
This is an older Best Western and is a little out of date in terms of furnishings and decor. But everything is clean, comfortable, and functional. If you are unfamiliar with traffic rotaries, be careful as you exit the interstate. Not everyone uses turn signal to indicate when they are getting on or getting off the rotary. Getting on, you must yield to traffic in the rotary.
Stayed here one night when heading home from Thanksgiving travels. The front desk clerk was very cheerful and helpful. This is the second time I've stayed here in the last 4 months. Rooms were very clean and everything was in working order. There is a Waffle House right next door and a buffet restaurant on the other side, both within easy walking distance which makes it nice after being in the car for hours already. Would definitely recommend hotel for all.
Stayed September 20/21 2015 over night . Room was comfortable and had a good laundry. Restaurant in same site was a good hearty meal with friendly staff .. Expect to eat out here , breakfast was not up to much but fine, not enough tables to sit in the room and had to sit in the reception area.
Just need to stop for the night on my way home. With two kids it was an easy on easy off the interstate and quick check in check out. Would definitely stop here again on my next trip. Thank you very much.
We were in Rolla to help celebrate our son's 21st birthday. We went to many of the hotels to see which might have a small area that we could just have some pizza, drinks and cake with him and a couple of his buddies. To our dismay many of the desk staff were very rude and made it sound like we were throwing a keg party. We just didn't want to have like 6-8 of us in our room eating on the bed. The young lady at the desk was fantastic, and said "sure no problem". I even offered to her that I would wipe the tables down (it was the area for breakfast).and she said no I can get that. This completely sold us to stay there. It's a no frills hotel, the room was clean, very quiet, and the staff very friendly. The morning breakfast was nice, several options. We probably will stay there again if we need a overnight stay.
over the years we have found Best Westerns to be an excellent value with some being even better than excellent. This one we would not go back to. Cleaning staff needs to be better trained. Only one person on staff at 6:00 pm and then they had to leave front desk unattended in order to help other guests who also had faulty door locks gain access to their rooms.
We stay there every year on our way to Arizona for the winter. It is located right off the freeway, easy to get to and very comfortable. We have had the same room for the last three years. They also are very pet friendly.
Excellent place to stay, very quiet even though they are busy. Able to have our little dogs with us as well. Very convenient on/off freeway, several choices of various types of food very near. Ideal place for us to stay, can't imagine anyone being disappointed in this hotel.
Have stayed at this Best Western in the past and was very satisfied. That is why we stayed again and will in the future if traveling that way! The helpfulness of the staff both at the lobby and also the care shown in the breakfast room was wonderful.
Hotel was clean and attractive. The staff went out of the way to make us happy and comfortable. This was my first stay at Rolla BW but it will not be my last. I was very satisfied with the stay and the price!
Very comfortable room. Friendly employees. Interested in accommodating us every time we stay here. Reasonable room rates. Clean room. Easy access in and out of motel. Nice restaurant close by. Good breakfast. Just a nice place to stay. Feels like home.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly . We sleep well and had a good breakfast. Had no problems checking in or out We had our grandson with us and he could easily get on the internet connection.
Very adequate room for a quick night. nice bed, clean room. Decent & typical breakfast bar included with several hot dishes, bread products, fresh fruit, yogurt, etc. Very convenient access to I-44. Big complaint- no workout room.
Way overdue for a renovation. Skip breakfast; not worth it & eating area cramped. Area is not well lit. Parking is pretty tight. The staff though is pleasant and professional. Room was clean and bed comfy but mattress is ready to be replaced. TV is off brand and sound quality poor.
Hotel toilet was noisy and took long time to empty. Turned heat on and smelled like burning hair I had asked for room with fridge, but believed I would, and room did not. bed find, room basically clean. Time before I stayed same place, room had a fridge and stocked with beer
I don't know if this was the only room left or what, but it was beyond horrible and deplorable! Driving back from Florida to Missouri and at 1 a.m., I was exhausted and couldn't drive another mile! Having stayed at pet friendly Best Westerns in the past, I had no apprehensions about checking in to this one until after the fact! Apparently, at this location, if you travel with a pet, you are something just a little less contagious than a leper! According to the night clerk, whom I believe was named Marlon, the ONLY room that would be available would be a smoking room at the very back of the building. As it turns out, the only redeeming quality is that it was at street level. But in order to get to the lobby from the room you would either have to walk through the maze or literally, your best option was to DRIVE around the hotel to get to the lobby if you wanted to take advantage of coffee or breakfast or anything they offered therein! And I might add that the personality of the night clerk was about as interesting as that of Frankenstein! As mentioned, it was VERY late at night! I was exhausted! If all they had was a smoking room, then how bad could it be? That is until you opened the door! I have had smoking rooms before and you could never tell that they were actually smoking rooms. This room smelled like a chimney! It was beyond putrid! I don't know the last time that the air conditioning had been turned on! The refrigerator was unplugged! The decor of the room was so deplorable I thought I had gone back in time, certainly not the quality & standards of a modern Best Western! My friend who was with me, who IS a smoker, but does not smoke indoors, even complained about how disgusting the room was! Even worse, just when we thought the smell was gone enough to try to sleep and the refrigerator was plugged in and working, when we each pulled down the sheets & blankets of our individual beds, the smoke and stench odor that came from the beds & bedding only smelled up the room again!!!!! Then, trying to find adequate plug ins for our phones, we found old dog food around the beds which OBVIOUSLY did not come from us and my dog! There were nasty stains of some kind on one of the chairs! In fact, it was no shock to notice that when the hotel obviously had changed the toilet seat, they didn't even bother to replace it with an oblong seat that matched the toilet, they replaced it with a smaller round seat that didn't even fit the toilet! Now I'm not much of a mechanic or a repairman, but even I know better than that! Needless to say, this was a despicable stopping point and was certainly NOT worth the price I ended up paying, especially to have to pay a pet deposit as well. This is one room that they should have PAID ME to stay in because I would never stop here again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone who is going to Rolla, MO! And I am a Best Western Rewards Member! Avoid this place like the plague!
staff were friendly and knowledgeable of area restaurants. Room was the cleanest and large . Would definitely stay at this hotel when in the area again. Great location off of 44 and lots of restaurants nearby and further toward town.
