The staff treats you like family they are extremely kind and friendly. The value was top notch. This is the best and cleanest Best Western Plus I have ever stayed at.i will continue to stay at this hotel anytime I am in the area.

Great location near the law enforcement center (security), Hotel overall is a winner. Great homemade breakfast above what you would expect. Value is very appealing. Only place we stay when visiting relatives in Granite City area.

I had a lot of ground to cover in metro St Louis area and this hotel was close to everywhere I needed to be. Very clean and quiet. Good tv channel selections. A very good value. Comfortable bed and room.

If you are ever in the northern St. Louis/Metro East area and need an affordable place to rest or refresh, the Best Western Plus in Pontoon Beach is where you need to stay. Our team came in on a Friday afternoon and checked out on Saturday morning. The room and bathroom were clean and the beds were comfortable. The best, and perhaps the most surprising, part of the stay was breakfast. The offerings were plentiful and delicious. They offered an egg white omelet, which I wasn't expecting, and the biscuits and gravy were exactly what I craved. (There was plenty more but I didn't eat of that.)

We have stayed at this property several times before while attending events at World Wide Technolgy Raceway in Madison IL. It is very convenient to that venue. It's about 15-20 minutes away. We were greeted by Ray at the front desk who was super helpful. He noted that we had a few special requests & he made sure we had everything we needed. The property was very clean & well maintained. The breakfast & internet worked well. We had looked at other hotels in the area, but are very glad we stayed here again. It is a great value for the money. I had read other people's reviews of the hotel on this site & noticed that the General Manager Vicki seemed to comment on all reviews, good or not. That made the difference in us staying here again. There is a gas station/ convenience store close by as well as a couple of fast food places. This will remain our place to stay when in the area again.

A nice property, would recommend. Clean and comfortable. Good staff. We were going to St, Louis. It was 15 mins. to the arch. A good value and location too. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. Really enjoyed the pool.

This was a very comfortable hotel, clean rooms, heated indoor pool, gym, great full breakfast, elevator for 2nd and 3rd floors, close to Interstate and Tri- State Raceway. Discounts given for Veterans and Raceway fans. All staff was friendly and courteous. In a safe secure, clean secure area. Full comfortable king size bed, Wi-Fi, large screen cable TV. Wish all rooms had bathtub/shower combo, we only had a shower, but it was large and clean. Toilets are a little low to the floor.

Room was clean and quiet. Beds were comfy, breakfast was ok. It was the last night of our trip and we were worn out. Desk made sure we had a downstairs room and that was sooo appreciated. Wifi worked great, too.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the rates were reasonable, good parking is available, location is close to the freeway, and breakfast was nice. I will stay here again in the future for sure.

We had a great trip! This hotel is about 20 minutes from St Louis. I didn't mind the drive for the quality of the stay. Clean hotel! Friendly staff. I was quite comfortable and I have no complaints :) I live out of state so I didn't know what I'd be getting into with a hotel in this area —I'm glad I chose the best western!

The breakfast was the biggest disappointment to the whole trip.the front desk was ok the girl checking people out was in able to do it but she was up front and said she had problems with it so that was fine with me.

Clean, newer facility. I don't do hotel breakfast, and this one looked about the same as the rest. Very helpful at the front desk. Quiet, next to police station and a GREAT Mexican restaurant. Good for accessing the area without getting in the downtown mess.

Everything was clean and every member of the staff that we had contact with, were super friendly and helpful. We were in town for my mother-in-laws funeral, so it was nice not having to worry about any problems where we stayed at. This was our second time staying at this hotel, we will be back.

Just about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis but very easy to get to. Quiet location, pool and free hot breakfast. Every staff member made sure everything was OK. The beds were awesome. We slept real well. I don't think I turned once during the nights.

We are elite members & they were true to promise on benefits of elite membership. First time ever we didn't have to ask for it. The hotel is well maintained & the staff were very friendly. Rooms were nice & clean. Even smelled good!

My partner and I stayed over on a Friday and Saturday night. The room is exactly what we hoped for. The breakfast is above average - the staff working the breakfast area are bubbly and incredibly attentive. The real mvp of this stay however has been a gentleman at the front desk. He has been gracious and attentive, well beyond the extend I'd expect from a stranger in 2022. We don't come to town too often, but next time we do I assure you we will stay here. Such kindness! Thank you, sir.

Hotel is a good value located in a convenient area with easy access to interstates. Proximity to St Louis and surrounding metro area is a big plus. Room and bathroom are very clean. Stayed on 3rd floor. It was quiet and had beautiful view of sunrise. King bed was extremely comfortable.

Real Safe Location behind the Police Station... Convenient location. Not many dining options nearby. Comfortable bed and great walk in "L shaped Shower with plenty of H²O pressure. Breakfast was Good Outside of building at soffit needs pressure washing.

Super friendly place to stay for a weekend.You have no worries with this stay because police station is right across the street. Highly recommend. Would definitely book a room here any day of the week the staff is top notch can't wait to be coming back next summer.

My friend and I were coming in town for our high school reunion and booked a room here at this location. Approximately A MONTH LATER, 3 days prior to our event, my friend was called and notified she couldn't book it because she only lived 43 miles away. Ok, no big deal, we will book it in my name. So THEN Vicki, the manager, tells me that I can not have ANYONE at the hotel. I explain I work 4 hours away, I am coming in for the weekend, it's a class reunion and of course I will have visitors including my children, but that no one will be staying. She explained that I can't have children there “Incase they fall down or something and sue”. I explain my children are grown and that will not be an issue. I even offered to pay extra. She then explains that “Were not even supposed to have people here because of COVID”. I explain that I am a travel nurse, frequently stay in hotels and that doesn't seem to be the case anywhere else. While having this conversation I was at work, in a room full of people and had terrible reception. I could hear Vicki saying hello…hello, and before I reached a spot with better service, she hung up. Me knowing I would call back after work didn't think it would be a problem. Vicki proceeded to then call my friend back and state I “raised my voice and said I WAS bringing my children and therefore our reservation was cancelled”. So it seems for every problem Karen, I mean Vicki had, I had a solution that she just was not having. She upheld this policy that is stated NOWHERE on their site or BestWesterns site in general. I have NEVER, nor would I tolerate a hotel telling me who I can have visit and deny my children. I pay you, you have my information and card on file. If you have any issues or damage, again, you have ALL of my personal information and bank account information AND, insurance. Vicki was rude, she is a liar and sure doesn't deserve to be a personality for such a large company.

We have stayed at this location several nights each year for the last 10 years as it is in the area of our family and we go back regularly. They keep things very clean and regularly update the facilities. I highly recommend this one!

This hotel is an amazing place to stay because of the friendly staff, clean room/dining area and overall family atmosphere that Vicky has with her staff and guest. My room is always clean and waiting, the coffee is fresh and hot, the staff greet me by name and are happy to see me when I come in. There are many regular guests who stay here for all of those reasons. The location is a short drive to anywhere in the St. Louis area.

The drapes in the rooms do not sufficiently block out the very bright parking lot lights. Requested a cot, arrived and was told the room was too small for a cot, against fire standards. On a positive note, the scrambled ehgs tasted fresh, not frozen, reheat serve.

The hotel located off I-270 in Pontoon Beach IL was easy to get to and about 15 mins from downtown ST. Louis. The room was clean and nice with a refrig and microwave and coffee/tea. Nice TV with wide selection of channels. Good shower pressure. Overall quiet hotel in a quiet area. Not a lot around the hotel to do although there is a MCD and a Taco Bell very close. A free breakfast was provided but was less than appetizing in quantity and quality and variety. Overall a nice hotel and would stay again. Price could be a bit less expensive.

Ray was great as I checked in after a grueling hospital shift. He was kind, understanding and helpful! The room was clean, the bed comfy, the pillows good and the ice machine worked! Lol. I will stay there again based on my experience there- and again, thank you Ray!!!!!

Thin ceilings, stomper above us. Woke us early. Get tired of stompers, no respect for people below you. This could have been cleaner but wasn't the worst we stayed in on our 8 night outing. Breakfast was ok. Don't think the country is ready for travel yet. Seems everyone is short staffed.

Hotel was right off the highway but far enough that you don't hear the road. Very clean, room was a nice size, had all the essentials that I needed plus a decent size refrigerator that held my oversized lunch bag. I'm a night shift healthcare worker and the daytime noise level was low enough for me to sleep during the day without any issues. I tried several different restaurants in the area and was pleasantly surprised by them. I'll definitely be staying here during my travel assignment at the nearby hospital!

Roaches disrespectful employees nasty rooms loud also they will come into your room why ur gone take pictures of your stuff and send to people and go through your personal belongings never clean your room they expect you to so if you work long hrs dont stay here or if your a smoker bc even if you don't smoke in your room there going to kick you out due to odor

From the moment I walk in with the lady clerk at the front desk, to my room, tp the swimming pool to their breakfast was just top notch. Friendly, clean and a great breakfast to start your day. .Couldn't ask or expect anything else from them.

The front desk was prompt with getting me set up with my room and was very courteous my room was clean and looked fresh. The breakfast area was clean and had a good selection. It was quiet and had good well lit parking

Kind of a weird place. Elevator is out of order. Dreary lobby area. The room was pretty decent. The weird part was check-in. The lady at reception was super nice. An annoying part in hotels now days is they ask what brings you to the area. It always feels nosey. The guy working my reservation took nosey to another level. He said he needed my email as required for the booking. When I balked, he asked about my political affiliation in case he needed to cancel my reservation. WTF.

Clean hotel in good shape in a safe area. Friendly, helpful staff. Pool was small but nice and heated. Breakfast was decent - variety of hot items. We usually find BWP beds to be comfy, but these beds were extremely hard, which caused us to sleep poorly and even made us sore.

Clean, comfortable, quiet, professional staff, hot breakfast. Was able to control temperature. All the above was important as this was a long drive this location. Had business to attend to snd then the very next day a long drive home.

While traveling between Colorado and Nashville we spent one night at this hotel. The room was clean and breakfast was good. The best part of the stay was the front desk person, Pat. She was helpful and kind.

The staff at this property were all friendly. The property was clean, mostly because they staff don't sit around. They were all busy bodies which helps the overall upkeep. Breakfast was better than most places we've stayed. The waffle maker was my favorite and the OJ actually tasted good. The cleaning staff was also very friendly and the rooms were actually clean. We very much enjoyed staying at this Best Western Hotel. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and the bed was so comfortable, we all slept great! We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one night and we thought it was great. When we checked in, we were upgraded to a suite for no extra charge. Always a great thing to happen. The hotel was very clean, room was comfortable, staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was very good. If we are in this area again, this will be our choice for a hotel again.

We stay at this hotel every time we come to the St.Louis area. The indoor pool is great beds are soft and comfortable. Staff was great rooms were always clean and the breakfast is exactly what to expect from a hotel. The location is why we stay here. You are literally minutes from everything. The St. Louis zoo is 20 minute drive max the Arch is like 10 depending on traffic, close to shopping and lots of dining places. If you stay here I highly recommend breakfast at Uncle Lenny's restaurant. Its 2 miles from this hotel... this area has always been safe, we never had any issues staying here plus the Pontoon Beach Police is directly across the street. If your taking a family trip to STL I recommend this hotel.

Visit to St. Louis Vehicle Processing Center here in Pontoon Beach. Shipped my car here from Hawaii for the military. VPC only a mile down the road from 4 Hotels. The Best Western was a great stop for a quick in and out. The Mobile next door looks sketchy and not worth the cheaper price. Very nice employee behind the desk. Suggested a great restaurant 3 blocks away I could walk too. Tres Caminos Mexican restaurant. Made for a great night. Able to walk and pick up my car from the VPC and I was on my way without delay the next day. Heard a few foot steps above me before going to bed and that was it. I'd say 5 stars all around, except everyone in the world is looking for better quality at a cheaper price; if you know what I mean. Its the principle that if I put 5 starts then they might increase rates.

After being on the road for close to 14 hours, we were all so glad for a clean and comfortable room to sleep in. It was late when we checked in, yet the desk clerk was still personable, helpful, and respectful. Thank you for a very positive experience!

The staff were very kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable, good sized room and bathroom. The only minor glitch was the squeaky floors, if you are a light sleeper. I was on the 2nd floor and I know my floor squeaked when I walked across the room for the people below and I could also hear the person above me walk across the room. Luckily, they were in bed at a reasonable hour. It was a nice place to stay and I would return. It was a quiet and safe area.

I was on a trip to visit my sister who lives in granite city IL, we were very satisfied with our experience at the Best Western plus at pontoon IL . The staff were very friendly and the room was great. I will definitely stay there again, when visiting my sister. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

It wasn't the worst place we've ever stayed, but this tired property wasn't great, either. The beds are as hard as a rock, so if you like that, at least the beds were clean. In our first room, I went to close the curtains, and the whole bracket fell down. Said they couldn't fix now, so moved us across the hall. I walked into that room and walked right out. Very musty/mildewy smell. The 3rd room was fine, but nothing to write home about. The breakfast was fine and it was nice have the full choice of hot selections. The man who checked us in wasn't helpful beyond finally finding us an acceptable room. He didn't know how to help us with the WiFi and couldn't find a laundry bag. Perhaps a small trash bag? He also proclaimed he “wasn't vaccinated” and was “waiting” all from behind the sign proclaiming that unvaccinated employees and guests were to wear masks. I never saw him with one. If you're just looking for a simple room with an albeit uncomfortable bed, this is your place. If you want a restful night, I'd look elsewhere for the money. It was clean, so that is a plus.

The customer service at this hotel was horrible! In a nutshell we asked to check in early (2:00 pm vs 4:00 pm). The General Manager herself would not even consider it or see if the room was ready, we got a flat no. The breakfast options were limited due to Covid but they would not even let my husband bring me a muffin to our room! I had to get my food myself. They also told us the pool was closed because there were no clean towels! This is the most ridiculous thing ever! We choose this hotel for the breakfast and the pool and got neither. They also screwed up the reservations and repeatedly called me to get a copy of my credit card when the room was already paid for!!!

Overall, good experience. Would have liked a better pool reservation system, as one of our thought-to-be reserved times was later discovered to be taken. Modified breakfast was in a brown bag, I think by now a buffet could be used as promoted... Clean room.

Easy to find location. The room amenities were good. The desk employee referred us to a good local restaurant and filled us on on the Gateway Arch which we went to see the next morning. The breakfast was a grab and go with coffee available.

Upon check in there were fruit snack scattered in the room, a used spoon and used coffee cup on the floor. Our room was not cleaned our entire stay (not by our choosing). Beds are extra extra firm. The pool was limited (covid) to 30mins per room per day and was first come first serve.

Staff was horrible. Called before hand to ensure we would have enough sleeping area. Was told wrong and then the next morning was accosted by the manager because we had one too many of our kids with us. Horrible experience. Would never recommend.

Neither the late night front desk check-in person on 1/11, nor the early morning front desk check-out person on 1/12 wore masks (a kerchief draped around the neck doesn't count as mask-wearing). Illinois state law MANDATES masks to be worn in the presence of the public. Best Western, by not training its staff properly, put this guest's life at risk. Will never stay here again. Big fail.

I was there for my father's funeral and got walked in on treated unfairly charged $250 for something that I didn't do kicked out of the Hotel and wasn't able to speck to anyone completely embarrassed me while I'm there for my father's funeral

Our room was large with coffee maker, microwave and fridge. It had a desk. The hotel is in a quiet location despite being close to major highways. Our room was clean. The elevator door was noisy. The front desk staff does not wear masks consistently. And the breakfast is way too sugary.

Booked last minute online, quick and easy. Location very close to where we were visiting. Facility very nice, clean and quiet. However we arrived/check-in at 2am. Only opportunity for improvement, we asked for late checkout and were told no. Would have thought with the lateness of our check in, they could have given us more than 30 minute extension.

First glance at room it looked okay but then you start seeing the dirty furniture, ripped shower curtain, dirty towels, stale smell. I won't stay here again! Front desk did give me half off my stay for the issues which I appreciated

My boyfriend and I stayed with our 2 little girls and the service was great. Although we stayed one night, we slept so good. Laura and Connie were so accommodating to us and our girls. They took great care of us with an amazing breakfast to take on the road with us before went left to go home.

Very friendly staff . Laura at front desk was extremely professional and very helpful. Shaun was also helpful with giving me directions to local restaurants. Hotel beds were comfy and very clean room . Only hotel ill stay at when in area . I felt at home and breakfast was very tasty

Nice clean hotel with comfy beds, good hot breakfast, and is located right behind a police station so you feel secure about your car at night. Indoor pool looked clean but is a bit on the small side. No hot tub.

We were in the area for a funeral and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel for the price. It is located right behind the police station with a few restaurant nearby and others not too far away. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and fresh. We noticed on the second day if our visit, the great didn't work. Staff was quick to find us another room. Breakfast choices were good and plentiful.

Terrible experience. My wife was sick overnight so I asked for a late checkout so she could sleep a little longer. Just before 9am I asked the desk clerk for a noon checkout and he immediately said NO. I was not a member of the BW Priority Club and I had not arranged it upon our check-in. So I had to take care of business and rush back to get my wife at 11am. I checked the 3-ring binder in the room and it said nothing like what I was told. At check-out I advised the desk clerk that his denial did not match the policy in the binder. So he brought out the general manager and she told me the same nonsense about the club membership and prior day arrangement. I advised her about the 3-ring binder and she said she would look at it. I have never had such a ridiculous situation about a one-hour late checkout being denied. Sorry, best western, you are certainly not in our traveling future.

We had an excellent one night stay here. The staff was very nice at check in and check out. They were helpful to find a local restaurant. The room was very clean, the bed was very comfortable and the towels were soft. They served an excellent complimentary breakfast .

I always stay at BWs no one comes close in comparison. They never fail to put a smile on my face, I only would change one thing... make the pillows bigger. I like to roll around the bed and I am always re adjusting them

Stayed on Thanksgiving night, so it business was pretty slow, but the front desk was quick and polite, helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, used the guest laundry and found it in good condition,breakfast was good, internet worked well, everything we needed for a comfortable and quiet night.

I stay two night Oct. 13&14 2019. staff was polite and helpful . Staff informed me travel tips and good places to eat. Room was cleaned and had a fresh smell. I slept well. Breakfast was good, fresh ,clean, and well maintained .

Stayed for a wedding this weekend. Hard to find something last minute that was close. Room was clean, staff was perfect, speedy check in and check out! I didnt understand why you had to live at least 50 miles from the hotel though to stay. But still overall great experience

Had no complaints during my stay. The price was very resonable compared to other hotels in the area. The hotel seemed newer. The interior was very clean. Hotel staff was very friendly throughout my stay. Breakfast was normal for a hotel breakfast - sausage, eggs, waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The hotel was pretty quiet. The rooms were very clean and had a fresh smell to them. the bathroom was clean and I was able to give my daughter a bath in the tub without the worry of thinking the tub was too dirty (no tile, so no appearance of dirt or mold). Overall, great stay.

Excellent place to stay. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Every staff person we encountered was very friendly. Hotel appearance was very inviting except keeping the chairs in the floor in the breakfast room would have made first impression a little more welcoming. Shower had excellent water pressure. We didn't get to experience a lot of the towns offerings but would recommend this Best Western to anyone traveling thru Pontoon Beach!

The walls were paper thin and we could hear the people talking in the room next door. The noise from the nearby raceway kept us awake until midnight. Breakfast was awful. Coffee and hot water wow cold.

We stayed at this hotel on our way back home for an overnight stay. The hotel is clean beds are nice good showers everything was great. The only Drawback is the guy at the reception desk when we checked in was not the least bit differently you could tell he really didn't want to be here working. Can't blame him to smile would be nice and friendly greeting.

I was extremely pleased with my stay. It was sbout half the cost of hotele in the st.louis area but the same distance from downtown. My only issue was the air conditioner seemed like it was always freezing cold .. even on 78.. unless we turned it completely off.

I was charged 2 nights for 1 night and a $68.00 fee that has yet to be refunded. They said they do this for prior auth to make sure you have money on your acct. So I was charged $301.00 for 1 night and am still arguing the refund. My friend was also charged the $68.00 charge and it has not been reunded as of yet either

For us this was an overnight stay on a long trip, and as BW Gold Members we were happy that Craig upgraded us to a king suite. The hotel was clean and quiet, and Britney was welcoming upon arrival, giving us baked cookies. Our bed was very comfortable, the rooms face interiorly, and the back of the hotel faces a quiet neighborhood, the front faces a highway. The breakfast was usual BW quality, and although I did have an issue with the Business Center PC working to print, Britney's great customer service solved the issue and she printed what I needed from the desk. The hotel is probably less than 5 years old and looks nice. The elevator sounds that it needs some lubrication, but worked fine. I would stay here again.

Definitely will stay again. Great staff, clean rooms. I didn't use the pool or workout room so I can't tell you about that but the area that are important to me I have no complaints. I hope everyone can have the same experience.

Room very clean and accommodating . Staff pleasant and friendly to all guest. We would recommend to others traveling this area . We will be definitely staying here again in the future. I wish that bfast would have been better stocked as with other BW I stayed with in the past .

Just stayed one night, staff was friendly and helpful. Location appeared to be in a safe area off of a major road. The property was easy to from the highway but difficult to see sign at night as there are other bright hotel signs near the property.

The hotel was very clean and the people quite nice but the bed we had was very uncomfortable. We got up and left out pretty early just because we couldn't sleep. The bed was way too hard for us. I don't have back problems but had a serious back ache the next day because of the bed.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Very nice clean hotel. It's very well kept up. The pool was very warm. We loved it! Breakfast was good. Eggs sausage biscuits and gravy and a waffle machine. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

The hotel was very clean and quiet. My only complaint was about the elevator which made really odd, loud noises, but my room wasn't close to that so it wasn't an issue for me. The breakfast was very nice with a lot of options.

Stayed one night here and found the service and rooms top notch. The room had looked newly remodeled and had a very comfortable bed and large screen TV. The entire staff were great and the breakfast was good. Pretty basic but more variety than many places.

One of the most important features during a hotel stay is receiving good and helpful customer service along with a clean room of course. The young lady at the front desk was cheerful, helpful and noticed our ground floor request had not been acted upon so offered to change us to the ground floor. She paid attention to the little things that tend to annoy us. Good job!

Room and hotel were both exceptional clean. Conveniently located just outside of STL. Breakfast was very good with many hot options. Would be nice if breakfast hours were extended slightly. Didn't use the pool but looked clean and nice. Would stay here again and would recommend to others.

We've stayed in this location many times and there is a reason. The facility is always in top notch condition and exceptionally clean. The staff have ALWAYS been so kind and helpful. The rooms are comfortable in excellent condition. Breakfast is far superior to most motels. This place is a jewel!

After 30 minutes, all they found were some CBD Gummy bears, which are legal as they contain zero THC. I did have a vape pen, but it was nicotine. I allowed them to take it to prove I hadn't used it and it was easily replaced. IF the 4 cops had found any marijuana, I would of been arrested, even with my medical marijuana card, (which they took a picture of, since they'd never seen one) because it's illegal in Illinois. As the cops left, laughing, the manager stuck her head in my room and demanded I leave immediately. The officers ALL disagreed with her. They told me take my time packing and leaving. I was very upset. The most-senior officer told me to "take an hour or two" to leave, and "don't rush. Try to calm down". Why would they say that if I was somehow in the wrong? The manager was 100% wrong. The officers only found candy, and it was not THC. I was accused by the night manager of smoking a LOT of marijuana, not eating gummy bears. I vaped outside and in my car only. If she cannot tell the difference, then I suggest she get another job. These officers tossed my room. Tossed it .They went through every container in my purse, bath kit, luggage, refrigerator, and car. They found gummy bears and a vape pen I gave up because it wasn't clearly marked. Why was I thinking out like garbage by a clueless manager. Keep in mind, the cops were there originally for a diabetic who was in a critical situation. The manager called the cops on him too. As the officers told me, "we are here constantly". Really? Why? Because of the manager. Worst Best Western ever. And I am a BW loyalty member for 20+ years. I have never been thown out of any hotel ever in my entire life. And I'm 53. I sleep in hotels 4 out of every 7 days. First time ever. And I'm pissed. The manager is SO concerned about smells, but misses a window lock that's broken and allows people to illegally parked in the driveway. Is she really concerned about her guests?

I stayed here for business. I was there 3 days. This is a great place to stay that is comfortable, safe and very clean. Its located right behind the police station and there's no worry about security or safety.

Don't stay in room 118. Apparently, the maintenance guy lives directly above you. He will walk around constantly late into the evening. He will fix furniture or something that requires a hammer. The front desk will cover for him and offer you another room if available. That's fine...unless you are, you know, traveling with small children and don't really want to wake them up in the middle of the night, gather your things, and totally move when you should be sleeping. The continental breakfast is a selection of wheat or white bread and a couple of cereals. I can look past that if I could simply sleep from 12am-6am. Get it together.

I stayed at this hotel for a total of 5 days. My guest and I had outside food in our room that we cleaned up and threw in the trash. Later in the day we get a call from what I assume is front desk yelling at us and threatening to kick us out of the hotel for having food in the room. (Misleading due to the microwave, mini fridge, and coffeemaker in room) Then blaming all the stains (that were already on the bed) on us and saying that they were going to charge extra for the damage. They also claimed to have smelled cigarette smoke and have pictures of said cigarettes which was a lie because neither I nor my guest smoke. Tried to straighten everything up the second we arrived at the hotel after the call. However the lady at the front desk said she couldn't help and to come back when the manager was there. Yelling at guest, not addressing their name or name of business with call, blaming their uncleanliness on guests, and snooping through our trash? Most unprofessional hotel I've stayed at and I used to work at a best western. Stay clear of this hotel at all costs. Never again will I stay here my next stay in town.

I stayed at the best Western in pontoon Beach, Illinois. My stay was for a total of five days as I was in town for a conference. The first day I arrived at the hotel I called the front desk to ask when breakfast started. After telling me the time that breakfast starts in the morning the women on the phone replies back “who is this!?” (With an attitude). I am completely surprised that the staff would talk to one of their customers in that manor. I course told her that I was staying upstairs in the hotel. The next day I went downstairs to get breakfast in the morning with my 1 guest. We grabed some quick food and went back upstairs with our plates. Later on in the day I get a phone call from the hotel. The first thing the lady says only the phone is that they found food upstairs in our hotel room and food was not allowed there. I immediately apologized because we did not know that food was not allowed in the room. Considering that we had a microwave and refrigerator in the room and that they also sold microwavable food downstairs. She then continues on a rant saying that there was a stain on the bed from the food. And that I have an “e-cig” in the room and she can smell it. I do not have a E-cig, I don't smoke cigarettes and no one was smoking in the room. I did not know what smell she claimed to smell in the room but two females are staying in there for a total of five days it is going to smell like something (Either a mixture of perfumes, body wash, lotions etc). She then says that they have a picture of the device, which was a complete lie. She then threatens that they would have to charge me for the bedsheets if the stain did not come out. And also that if they catch me smoking they will charge me 250 and also kick me out of the hotel. At this point I thought the conversation was over. Apparently not for her.. She then says “I don't know what type of hotel you think we are running here but we don't do that.” I have stayed at a plethora of hotels as I am required to travel a lot. Never have I ever experience such a nasty attitude from staff. After arriving back to the hotel that evening I spoke to one of the ladies at the front desk. She apologized for the nasty behavior I had to experience with the staff. However there was nothing she could do about it because she was not the manager. I went to my hotel room and Inspected the bed to see what stain she was talking about. On the darker sheet on the bed there was two pennie sized oil stains that did not seep down to the white sheets ( I am 100% positive they will come out in the washer, if the hotel actually washes it.) I then go ahead and decide to inspect all of the sheet. On the main comforter I find a plethora of yellow circles stains, one of them the size of a basketball. This tells me that the hotel either does not wash the sheets or fails to inspect their sheets before putting them on guest beds. With the next few days until my departure I tried multiple times to get in contact with the manager at the hotel. She never came in. Below are pictures of the stains on the sheets they thought were acceptable for guest to sleep in. They were extremely unprofessional and on top of everything they dug in our trash.

Safe and quiet area. Great hotel. Super clean. A surprising gem for the price. Slept so well on the cozy king size bed with cushy covers. Nice check-in staff. And loved the breakfast that Becky made as well as her helpful, cheerful manner.

I have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Pontoon Beach many times. Whenever I need to travel back to the area, this hotel is usually the first one I check for availability. People that work there have always been very nice and helpful, the rooms always seem to be very clean and the beds are comfy... I've never had a problem while staying here.

My wife and I only stay at Best Western Plus it has significant meaning to us. The hotel manager Vicky and her staff went out of the way to make sure my wife and I were very comfortable. Becky you're the best

Excellent customer service. Their breakfast was very limited however, and we had to wait a long time for someone to prepare the food. A little out of the way when visiting the St. Louis area, but a lot less expensive, and the rooms are very nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Was made to feel very welcome right from the start. The rooms are very spacious and exceptionally decorated. Very nice and very clean bathroom also. Super comfortable beds and plenty of plush pillows, slept great! They also include a hot breakfast buffet. They also have an indoor pool, unfortunately I didn't get to use it this trip, but I'll definitely be staying here the next time I am in the area.

Carpet very much needed a vacuum...chips and other food remnants all over. Kelly at the front desk could use an attitude adjustment. Only positive is the location...close enough to highway to be convenient, far enough away so it's not noisy.

Stayed here for one night but originally booked 2 nights for a family vacation. The property was nice our room was clean. They do provide breakfast but they do not allow you to take it to your room because “when we allow you all to take it to your room guest leave behind messes and house cleaning does not want to clean that up”. I thought that was strange that house keeping did not want to clean after all it is there job. I explained that I have a 5yr old and that she was sleeping and i did want to disturb her due to the activities the day before. I was told they could give me a coupon to Denny's to feed her at a discounted rate. As the front desk woman policed me about food, I watched several other guest walk right on to the elevator with plates. When pointing that out she looked at me and said “I didn't see them” I thought this was weird when they provide breakfast but it must be eaten in the small eating area downstairs. We got our child some food and needed a fork when my husband asked for a fork instantly every one he asked told him “ you can't eat in the room” or “you can't take food from breakfast into the room” even after he told them it was not their breakfast. Only one house keeper was kind enough to assist him. I WILL NEVER PATRONIZE BEST WESTERN AGAIN ! I would never recommend BW to anyone . CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NOT HOOD AT THIS LOCATION. This is my second time at a best western plus this year I won't be staying there again ever

Great hotel to stay at. Staff are super friendly and accommodating. Rooms clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Good breakfast with hot choices. I stay here once a month for business and have always been treated like family.

The room was not overly clean and they charged us double for the room plus a damage deposit. Overall, they charged 300 dollars for a room that was 127. It took several days to refund the damage deposit plus the other 127. They said they charged us two room charges in case there is damage. They do this for everyone. It was not even worth the 127.

Booked an adjoining room when making reservation. Asked about this on checkin and it seemed to be a complete surprise for the clerk but did get the rooms we asked for. Lukily the hotel was not full the first night. Nice clean room and pool as expected. We had the pool all to ourselves until Saturday night. Air conditioning worked well on our 95+ degree days. The bed was a little firm for my taste. Had to ask for linen for pull out sofa, got a little attitude from front desk staff when requesting the linen. She was apparently upset for us interrupting her personal call. I thought pictures online showed a hot tub which is apparently no longer available. Storms took out power for 4 hours on our first night. Wish the hotel would've offered some sort of compensation for the inconvenience. Obviously, a storm is not their fault but a lantern or flashlight would have been nice to have in the room during the outage. Good breakfast but gets very busy between 8-9am. Our stay was very quiet and we rarely saw other travelers except at breakfast.

Great place to stay to get on The MCT nature trail. We rode our bikes from the hotel and got on about a mile down the road. Pool was clean and breakfast was good.Nice outdoor patio area to relax. Inside was comfortable. Bed was very comfortable.

I bad by far the worst hotel experience of my life here!!! I was driving across the country and booked a room at 3:30 am using the Hotels.com app's late night "Now" booking feature. I arrived at 4:45 and they didn't have the reservation, so Hotels.com faxed it to them. The front desk clerk received it and checked me in, then woke me up in my room 1.5 hours later because she screwed up processing the booking through Hotels.com. She didn't even apologize for waking me, knowing I only had a few hours to sleep. She told me I had to vacate the room, because I was a "no show" since I arrived after 3 and thus the booking was invalid - even though I booked it after 3 and she had it faxed to her. I argued with her, and she told me I had to pack my stuff and leave the room immediately and call Hotels.com, or her manager would call the police on me in 30 minutes. I made the call, and no more than five minutes later she called my room again and told me that because I wasn't out yet (seriously, who can go from asleep to awake, packed and out in 5 minutes???), she would be calling the police. I told her I was on my cell phone with Hotels.com and she wouldn't let me finish that call. I told her I couldn't be on two calls at once and she needed to give me a minute. She refused and said if I chose the Hotels.com call, she would call the police immediately. I told her to go ahead, so I hung up on her and continued talking to Hotels.com. I finished packing while on that call, and Hotels.com called her to verify the situation, then told me I could cancel it and get a refund or rebook and get a room. Meanwhile, the clerk called the police to tell them I had vacated the room and they were no longer needed - aka she had seriously called the police. At this point I was shaking from adrenaline/anger, and there was no way I could fall back asleep any time soon so I took the refund and left. I gave the clerk a piece of my mind for calling the police five minutes after waking me, and she yelled at me that it was my fault and kept mockingly saying "Bye! Bye! Bye!" as I left. Best Western and Hotels.com will be hearing from me tomorrow. Avoid this hotel at all costs, their overnight clerk is incompetent and unstable. I'm still in shock over the whole thing! Quality of the room was good, though, so they've got that going for them! I also asked to have the manager call me when he or she arrived, was told they would, and 9 hours later nobody has called.

Hotel is new, several restaurants nearby. It is located off Regency Pkwy, so GPS have a bit of a problem getting you to them. Our room was large, the air conditioning worked really good and since it is away from the main roads, you do not have a lot of noise problems. The biggest deal was our key cards had to be rekeyed several times as they lost their coding. The breakfast was great.

Easy to get off Hwy, neat clean appearance inside and out, friendly staff. Breakfast food was hot and plenty of variety. Nice secure location right behind the Police Department, plenty of eating establishments nearby.

We are Diamond members of Best Western, and generally stay at this franchise. During our recent trip to St. Louis, we booked at the Best Western in Pontoon Beach and anticipated a pleasant stay. Not only did they not have the room we had been promised, but the one they showed us was filthy with a veneer of dust on everything. The staff was also rude and unwilling to accommodate us in anyway. From the desk clerk to the manager, we were belittled and abused and told to leave the premise or we would be arrested. Thankfully, hotels.com got us into the Drury Inn in St. Louis, where we had a wonderful stay. The experience was very stressful and upsetting, Neither the staff nor the Best Western at Pontoon Beach should be part of this franchise, or the the hospitaility industry, as they are anything but hospitable. I would recommend pitching a tent across the street in the empty fields, before staying here.

I stayed here when this property was a Sleep Inn. Nice then, still nice. The manager and staff know how to operate a hotel. Spacious CLEAN rooms, very nice breakfast, nice aerobic workout facility, friendly staff. Small indoor pool looks nice but I did not use. 24 hour fresh coffee in breakfast room, small store in lobby with snacks, pop, some toiletries etc. Dennys restaurant within walking distance. Nice safe place to stay just outside of St Louis. Big lot next to hotel for large vehicles including tractor trailers. They accept CLC with personal card for incidentals should you have any.

I can not speak highly enough about the afternoon front desk representative. She went above and beyond the norm helping us connect our phones on internet. As always good accommodations and clean. My only negative about all Fairfields is that they all do not very on options at breakfast.

I always try to stop here as the staff is so nice and the motel has great and safe parking (police station ) is next door ,the facility is always spotless and breakfast is great . The facility is far off of the highway so it is very quiet.And the morning sunshine is the best alarm clock

Very welcoming , clean, non-smoking, professionally managed facility. This Best Western is within sight of I-270 loop that circles St. Louis Missouri. Plenty of quality restaurants in the area and quick access to many sporting events.

After driving for over eight hours, I stopped in the Illinois area, and found this Best Western Plus. They happened to have a couple of rooms available, they were friendly, and very accommodating. If in the area again, I'll definitely be back.

Requested an hour later checkout to satisfy my business contact (the hotel was clearly low on occupancy). Was rudely told "we don't do that" The Eggs at breakfast had sat there so long they were discolored and hard (both days). Dried blood on one of the bed sheets, various stains.. Room was not very clean! TV service was out 1 of the 2 days.

Very good value and rated higher than surrounding hotels. Conveniently located near freeways and towns. 1/2 hour drive to Saint Louis, MO from hotel location. Minutes to nearby Granite City, Alton and Southern Illinois University.

I visit the Best Western Plus in Pontoon Beach, Il, usually once or twice a year. Love this place. People there are very friendly. My room has always been very clean and nice. Love the walk in shower, and beds are comfy. what's not to like?

So I stayed at this hotel once a month for the past two years for military training and I have never had any problems that were a big enough of an issue to not give this hotel a good rating. The staff is always on point with their job and I think it's in a really good location

My kids Love fresh cookies and enjoy heated indoor pool. Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Nice cleanest and quiet place. Not to far only 20 minuets from St. Louis downtown. Lots of variety for hot breakfast.

There are quite a few hotels at this highway interchange. We selected the BW because of good reviews and a lower price than most of the others. We weren't disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable and had plenty of room to spread out even though it was only one night. There was a modern shower stall that wrapped around at an angle so there was no door or curtain. Interesting design but the actual shower area was narrow and cramped. Breakfast was so-so - eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, and cold items. Fox News was blaring pretty loudly in the seating area which may be good or bad. There's a small lobby with seating as well.

We crashed for the night here on the way to east coast. Located in a good part of the city. Quiet place. Good sleep. Clean and comfy. Friendly, helpful staff. Quick, hassle free checkout. Altogether, a good stay.

This hotel is very well put together. It allows for working out, breakfast and snacks if needed. The room was very agreeable and was very clean. The staff was adequate in their customer service and had no issues there. The issue we had was the hard as a rock bed and the paper thin walls. The unknown neighbors connecting with what could be an adjoining room apparently called the front desk for my friend and me that was normal tone talking in the bathroom getting ready for bed. The front desk was called and they called us explaining the situation and that she herself had came up and saw we were not outside but could hear us girl talking inside at a normal tone but then was threatened that if we didn't basically whisper for the next door guest, we would be required to move. I told them I would not be changing my behaviors as I paid for my room too. Also that I could hear them talking but did not let it bother me as that is what happens in a hotel that has paper thin walls. God forbid a couple is enjoying some intimate time what would be said. With that said, I would stay there again but hope they will address this before it occurs next time by alerting ppl of the possibilities of hearing others.

Everyone there were friendly. Room was excellent though the pillows were not the best. Will stay again like the area right behind the police department so safe and secure. Easy access to highways so getting around is very easy.

This hotel is awesome. From the time we stepped in the door till the time we left we were treated with great customer service. First off the front desk was very friendly and helpful to give directions and advice about the area. Located across the street from the police station is a great plus for safety. Secondly, the room was spacious, very clean and smelled great. Third, the location was very close to the downtown area about a 15 min drive. Fourth, the complimentary breakfast was like being at home. Different choices, home cooking and tasty food you will not go away hungry. Geneva was the cook and she is awesome, very friendly, clean and accommodating to put fresh refills out if you needed them. We even tipped her. Fifth, one night we had a problem with our neighbors being too loud so we called the front desk and they were on it immediately. Overall this is a great place to stay while you visit St Louis. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in the area.

This location is perfect, as it's not only a little off the beaten path, but it is also easily accessible to the St. Louis attractions. The pool's temperature is nice and warm but not too warm. I would like, however, to have had a hot tub. The property was quiet, and the breakfast bar was decent. We LOVED having a refrigerator in the room. Overall, it was a great value for our money.

We stayed only one night as we were forced to drive home from Florida to escape Hurricane Irma. We found this hotel to be EXCEPTIONAL in every way. Customer service, quality, comfort and a GREAT breakfast!

found this Best Western when looking for a hotel in the St Louis area using those discount coupons from the welcome centers. Very pleased with this place. It was good to be outside the city limits of St Louis to avoid traffic the following morning and the facility is spotless. Enjoyed the shower very much and the bed was comfortable. I will stop here again on any trips I make through the area.

I stayed here because it was close to an activity that lasted for a weekend. This location is close the the St.Louis,Mo Metro area but is far enough away to relaxing and quiet. The room was comfortable and quite large. The bathroom was not cramped for room either. For my needs it was a perfect fit and I'll stay here when I'm back for this event next year.

This hotel stay was one of the best one's I've been to & I highly recommed this one to anyone that needs a room to relax or stay if your in the Platoon area. I will definately be back when I go back to the area.

We were attending a weekend of racing at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison IL. We booked this hotel because it was the closest to the track and it was a great choice! Not only was it an easy 15-20 min drive to the track, but the hotel was great! Our room had a fridge and microwave which was great. The complimentary breakfast also wonderful. Nice assortment of items. The chocolate chip cookies at the front desk were a nice touch as well. The entire hotel was very well maintained. No worn furniture or spots on carpeting. We had made several requests with our reservation before we got there and everything was just as we had requested. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer. Everyone was great. I almost hate to share this review for fear that others will find this hotel for next year's race, but this is a great hotel and I want to give everyone credit for the why it is such a great place.

Alittle outdated in a few areas - but overall a pleasant stay. Breakfast was very good. Cleanliness of the bathroom could have been better. However, staff was accommodating and pleasant. For a quick stay, would recommend.

I arrived to find my room in front of the elevator. I requested a more quiet room. I was kindly moved..... To the room behind the elevator so I could hear it move all night. This was done knowing I was a Platinum member. I couldn't imagine how they treat someone who isn't a rewards member.

This hotel was just outside of Saint Louis (where we were visited the Gateway Arch and the Saint Louis Zoo). It was easy to get to and from the hotel. The hotel and our room was clean. We always take advantage of the breakfast. This breakfast offering had a nice mix of hot and cold items and all very tasty. The wifi was easily accessible. An all around good stay in Pontoon Beach, IL/Saint Louis, MO.

We stayed 2 nights which included the night before and the night of the total solar eclipse. Hotel and staff were very nice. Price was extremely reasonable, especially considering that most hotels in the area were booked up.

Excellent staff.. very clean. Breakfast was fresh, with several choices. Fresh eggs were being set out even at the end. Our kids enjoyed the pool, and fresh baked cookies at the,front desk. All staff were kind and helpful.

I found the location was just a short drive to downtown St. Louis. The rooms were very clean and we found the staff to be incredibly nice and accommodating. I would highly recommend this location to anyone in the area or doesn't mind a short drive if going into St. Louis.

This hotel exceeded my expectations; excellent staff,location, facility and amenities; the room was spacious and the set-up for breakfast was top notch; this hotel would be my first choice when in the area again.

I enjoyed my stay here as the staff was super friendly. My a/c wasn't working properly so Kit, at the front desk moved me into an "upgraded" king suite (many people think the king suite has a living room, and much bigger but it isn't-there's just a sofa bed). I actually liked the king bedroom better than the suite-there wasn't as much lighting and the 2nd floor was noisy. All in all I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel.

This was our second stay on this hotel. Both stays the Staff was very friendly.The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Pool, business/computer room were a pleasure.Breakfast was hot and delicious and a lot to choose from.

The hotel itself is clean, quiet and in a good location. The staff was friendly and helpful whenever they were called upon for anything. Shana at the front desk was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly and went above and beyond for my wife and myself.

Great breakfast but rate is little bit pricey given the location is more than 10 miles from gateway arch and other main attractions. Pool is small and shallow. Room is not spacious compared to other hotels with same rating.

Stayed at this hotel as it was close to the VPC! Received a military discount on the room and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Nice hotel too! Has a pool and workout room, very clean and updated, even has a crib for my daughter! Flat screen TV in my room with a fridge. Highly Recommend, their breakfast was great too. They had hash browns, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, toast, doughnuts, juices, and milks. The morning I was there not sure if it changes Day to day I only stayed 1 night.

Under new management (Vicki). Secured a reservation through front desk. An hour later I received a phone call from Vicki requesting a credit card for incidentals. I told her I'm not comfortable saying it over the phone, but will present it to front desk upon check in. She told me no credit card no reservation. I have been staying here well over 2 years. Vicki threatened me, that if did not show up, she would charge my card. Not corporate friendly. No rewards points if your company footed the bill. 2ND CLASS CUSTOMER IF YOUR COMPANY FOOTS THE BILL.

This is an excellent hotel for the price. Modern, clean, safe. The staff is helpful and polite. The only disadvantage is that restaurants in the immediate area are somewhat limited. On the other hand, traffic is light.

The hotel is sub-par for the area. It is only marginally better than the Motel Six across the street. It is priced like a premium hotel and delivers sub-par value. I will only stay here if there is no other room available in the nearby area.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was very nice. The room was extremely nice, very clean, and the bed was comfortable, the pillows were so, so. The breakfast was somewhat lacking, the eggs looked fake and the sausage was not appetizing looking, but the rest of the stay was fantastic. The folks working there were so kind and friendly.

Check in was easy and with really nice lady. Very helpful also when we had questions about the area. Room was nice and clean upon arrival. Breakfast is good, a nice selection. Reason why it lost a star was first the dang key card kept not working. They finally got that resolved. The main reason was we were gone all day from hotel and came back to room door open. We know we shut it tight. Bathroom light was left on also and we turned all lights on. Front desk clerk ( different lady), as we went right to front desk, came to room to check it out. First response was oh sorry the housekeeping lady is good, second response was you sure you didn't leave the door open, and third response was well you booked thru expedia so I cannot offer you and discount and walked away. First, we didn't ask for any money back, second we didn't leave door open and third were glad nobody came in and took any of our stuff. Felt a bit insulted at this point. Back to the positives, like the location to things not too far away also.

After the difficult check-in (LATE arrival-tired), the remainder of the stay was near perfect. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the breakfast provisions more than adequate. Christy at the front took VERY good care of me. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It is definitely worth repeating on my next trip

Assigned room was dirty. There was a drunk guy passed out in lobby. The TV did t work. Check in person was rude and unapologetic. Took a total of 20 min to assign a room when we're only guest at desk.

Was in the area for a conference in downtown St Louis. This hotel is about a 15 minute drive out, easy to get back and forth. Hotel is very clean and well maintained, breakfast was good, the coffee is really good! There are some historical landmarks within a few minutes of the hotel that are cool to check out.

I needed to come in town last minute for a funeral. The staff was very kind, the hotel and room was clean and it was QUIET! That is important to me. I used the workout room daily and it was great! Breakfast had a nice variety of healthy choices.

Ok, but could be better Room average. Hallway had a musty smell. Small pool and no hot tub. Breakfast sub par. No hair dryer in the room. Convenient to Alton and Grafton, but I would honestly choose another location if We visited again

It was worth the drive from St Louis to stay here. It was in a quiet area. We were able to rest and relax after busy days of sightseeing. The staff was courteous and helpful. When we had an issue with our room one day, all the staff went above and beyond to correct the issue and make sure that we were fully satisfied the rest of our stay.

Hotel is 20 minutes or so from St. Louis - excellent choice if you're looking for very nice accommodations at a much better price than you'll find closer to the city. Clean and comfortable with a great staff. And the heated indoor pool really is heated. Water was actually warm which was great for the chilly day we were there. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was awesome for our trip to Saint Louis. Pontoon Beach is a lovely little area outside of the city and the hotel is located directly behind the police station. Our roomission was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spotless! The breakfast was delicious.

We had a block of rooms rented so we had a lot of people for breakfast. During breakfast there was only one person working and I felt bad for her because she couldn't really keep up with food items. Things ran out and it took a long time to get them replaced.

Staff was very friendly. I called before arriving to make sure the pool would be open.(Too many times I didn't check and the pools were closed--not here). It was adequate for my laps swim plus heated!! Room was clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast included with stay.

Our family took an extended weekend vacation to STL and wanted to rest away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area at a place that did not break the bank. This hotel was very reasonable in price, yet our experience in no way reflected the 'budget' nature of the cost. The rooms were clean, large, and well-equipped with a mini fridge, microwave. Free wifi throughout. Free hot breakfast. Well-maintained indoor pool. Friendly, efficient staff. A nice quite area in S. Illinois that had us in downtown STL in less than 15 minutes. We would absolutely good back to this hotel. Spectacular for the money.

Stayed at the Best Western for one night only is in a good location outside of town not too far from downtown st. Louis. Rooms are very nice very clean. They have comfortable beds. They also have TVs microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. Hotel staff was outstanding. Will stay here again.

Room was very clean. Location was very quiet. Bed was good. Pillows were far too thick. Sorry to say we missed breakfast because it ended at 9 a.m. Really wish that would have extended to 10 a.m. Would definitely stay there again, though.

This Best Western was CLEAN. Great free hot breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room, did I mention clean? I was pleased by the staff's attentiveness and personality. I would stay there again the price was as way less expensive of any downtown hotel, takes about 10/15 minutes to downtown if that. Free parking. Nice pool and work out equipment. Safe and secure.

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel. This time I didn't even consider any of the other hotels in the area. Both times the staff was friendly and professional. The rooms are very nice and clean. Could use more lighting though. This time we used the pool and it was clean and warm enough to get in with ease and was cool enough to still be refreshing. The breakfast is very good. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely stay here. Very good price, especially for the quality.

We stay here every year for the Gold Crown Race @ Granite City Speedway. Hotel is always clean, staff top notch, wouldn't stay anywhere else. Not that it was ever needed but Police Station is next door

We try to get to the Alton, II area every year. The Best Western Plus at Pontoon Beach was the best ever!! Cleanest place we have stayed at,in a very long time. Forgot to make reservations...the night before departure...on the computer...everything booked. One last place...only one room left..we took it. I'm so pleased we did. The girls said, when asked, they were pretty sure, it was the last room. Lots of things going on. We enjoy the Casino, the 4th weekend FleaMarket, the huge Farm Store, the beautiful College, the enjoyment of riding by the beautiful river and traveling around the countryside. We enjoy the feel of the town and the attitude of everyone we have come in contact with. We were eating at IHOP one morning and after listening to the two young men behind us...we decided to "pay it forward". We bought their breakfast. Sure they were quite surprised. On Friday , before we left our hometown, a young man approached us needing a few dollars. We gave him $40...but there was no wife and baby where he said they would be. But at the Casino....my husband won $400...certainly not Biblical...I'm just saying...it always comes back. I'm just saying ........A great trip indeed!!!!

The night we arrived the parking lot and front entrance to the hotel was all blocked off as they were paving the driveway. We parked on the side and walked up to the entrance. The hotel seemed to be brand new, however when we asked they said it was about five years old ( still new). The room was very nice, clean and well appointed. Breakfast was good with lots of variety.

The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. It is conveniently located close to many points of interest without being too far from any point. It was overall a pleasant experience! I will be choosing this hotel again when we plan another trip to the area!

Recently stayed at the best western plus in Pontooon Beach, Il. We spent 4 nights there and the overall experience was very good. Room was very clean, beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice and big with a very nice shower. People that worked there were very nice and helpful. Would def. stay there again without hesitation.

Took my reservation over the phone, big rooms, and quiet. The staff is wonderful. Not to mention huge bathrooms. No coordinating the door, well you get it. The app wants to post more but I can't. You won't be disappointed.

The staff lied and said that we only had reservations for one night when we had booked for 5 nights and instead of them saying that they had overbooked they fabricated a lie to put us out. We left out for the day and later received a call from Sarah asking if we were coming back to get our items out of the room because they only had us down to stay one night. We immediately returned to the hotel to see what they were talking about not to mention that Sarah was the one who took my reservation. I brought it back to her memory about our conversation and she remembered but then said that they had gotten a complaint that there was crying and fighting in my room and that we could not stay there and therefore had to check out. I was upset and asked her when and what time was this incident suppose to had happened, and her reply was that another guest made the report and checked out of their room at 3am in the morning because of the disturbance. I then asked her if there was an disturbance why didn't anyone call or knock on my door 1 to make sure of my safety and mind you the Police station is only feet from the front door of the hotel. This was awful a bad experience never have to worry about me ever returning. This is just something else to be concern of when booking reservations at BW to know if it is company owned or franchised. I learned that another guest book there as well and was told they had to pay extra if they had kids.....bad service

The motel seems fairly new, very clean room, & had a good breakfast there is a fridge & microwave as well as a coffee pot in the room. Iron, ironing board, hairdryer also.? We had a king bed- average for comfort, probably because o prefer bigger & more pillows. I think king beds should get king sized pillows.

Friendly staff, clean, comfy rooms and a great hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, plus fresh fruit. You can make your own breakfast burrito. It's a little out of the way, so you may have to drive a bit for dinner unless you want to eat at Denny's. For some reason, there are two of them within a mile of each other? Taco Bella and McDonald's around the corner. The hotel is A-plus!

The hotel at this location is very clean and secure. There were no problems associated with the stay. It is across the street from local police, which makes for excellent security. This was good, as we were moving and had a large moving truck with all of our belongings. The rooms were well maintained.

Stayed here 1 night while returning home from vacation. Good location but limited dining within walking. Room was clean with more than enough room. Did not use pool but looked inviting. Bf was good and available a bit early before 6am. Would stay here again. Close to race track although we didn't go.

The hotel is new and the staff was exceptional. The rooms were very large and with the just the right amount of amenities. The only problem is that it's located too far away from town. When we made the reservations - we were told the hotel was 9 miles away from the town but that was not the case. Other than the location - it's a nice place to stay if you're driving through St. Louis going some place else.

I booked this room at the last minute when I discovered that my first choice didn't have any available rooms. In fact, most of the hotels I checked in St. Louis had no availability. This particular location had rooms so I grabbed one using the Best Western app on my tablet as we were driving down Rt. 70. I'd been using the Best Western website for a couple of weeks to search for rooms and was well acquainted with their site. The app however didn't give me any options for putting in my AARP discount card. In order to save a room I had to book at the higher price and just hope that they would make a price adjustment when I arrived, which they did. As a whole, the Best Western website is not user friendly. I always find it difficult to find the link that shows Best Western locations as a map view and usually have to go through several screens to get there. There also doesn't seem to be an option to search by travel route which I like to do. The Best Western Pontoon Beach location was a good choice. Our room was called the "king suite" and it was a huge room with a king sized bed, a leather sofa, and plenty of room to spare. The room included a nice TV with lots of channels, a fridge and microwave and coffee pot. A nice desk and desk chair made a nice place to work. Lots of side tables and lamps were also quite convenient. The art on the walls was particularly interesting. I don't usually pay much attention to hotel art except to note that something is there. These pieces however deserved more than a superficial glance.The bed was very comfortable. The hotel and the room were spotless and well maintained. There is a Dennys within walking distance and a couple of pizza places will deliver right to your room. Friendly staff. Breakfast in the morning was very good with scrambled eggs and sausage. It was easy to get to from Rt. 70. Close to Cahokia Mounds and close to the St. Louis arch.

Location was great for our trip into St Louis. Very safe with the police station directly across the street. We really enjoyed our stay. Super comfortable beds, and it was great having the refrigerator and microwave in our room. Staff was super friendly, especially the woman who was running the breakfast buffet. The buffet was yummy and had choices even for a picky eater. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Can't say enough good things about this hotel. I usually stay at higher end hotels, but chose this Best Western because I get a corporate discount with my employer. Definitely glad I chose this hotel. Only thing that disappointed was beyond the staff's control, we had a room above us which the guests had no respect for the other guests.. thumping, jumping, sounding like furniture was moving into the wee hours. I called the front desk at 12:40am to ask them to contact the guests and let them know they needed to keep it down. I assume they got a call, noise stopped shortly thereafter

This is a lovely property...and quite unexpected in the area. Service, friendliness, amenities, decor and cleanliness all top notch. The only drawback is that there isn't much around the property in the way of restaurants within walking distance -- a slightly janky Dennys is it, for eats unless you order pizza to the motel. In spite of that, still recommend. The put the PLUS in Best Western Plus.

This was a great hotel at a great price. Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again. Very quiet room with a comfortable bed. Everything was clean. The TV remote was in a pouch to show it had been sanitized. The indoor pool was clean and close to the elevator.

As I travel, the toughest pad is feeling home sick. When I check into a hotel the first contact is the first indication of how the stay will go. This place had a great staff with good recommendation for local food and attractions. Made my stay great and having a clean environment with high energy staff makes home concerns less dwelling.

I stayed here while on a cross-country road trip and found the hotel clean, comfortable, and well-located. Tired from the hours of driving, I opted to stay in for dinner and order one of the in-room pizzas -- a great option! I did see many restaurant options close-by, though. Added bonus -- The hotel is located right behind the police department (a great plus for solo travelers). I saw that and knew I would not have any security concerns.

This was a great place and easy to find. It was clean and comfortable. A great breakfast and they managed to keep everything filled even though it was very busy. It was quiet with comfy beds. Enjoyed the pool. There were restaurants nearby.

Very friendly front desk, check-in and directions to room. The room nice and clean, bed comfortable. The breakfast was VERY good, the server had everything clean and food was hot. She even cleared our dirty dishes. Lots of restaurants close by. When we checked out the lady from the breakfast area offered to help carry our luggage.

We had avoided Best Western for several years due to past experiences. We stayed at this hotel because of the location, price, and the ratings listed on-line. This was a very clean, well-maintained, well-run hotel. The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of variety. Front desk personnel very helpful.

This a very nice property in a quiet location. Easy access to the Arch, Laclede's Landing and other venues in the St. Louis area, without being in the middle of the big city rat race. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Very clean, very nice hotel. Everything was just right. My only issue is that the price per night winds up being slightly over $100 a night. There are other, less expensive options nearby, and it's hard to pay that kind of money for a quick, one night stay. That said, I'm sure we will be back because it's such a clean, well kept place.

We have stayed in many hotels that are much higher in price than the Pontoon Best Western Plus, but none that are any finer...Always look forward to staying here. Not only is it the Very Best Hotel we have stayed at but the convenience to the Interstates is so nice. We don't have to drive miles to get on a major Highway.

This Best Western is conveniently located in IL, very close to MO, right on boarder. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff is extremely professional and courteous. The breakfast is awesome and they have a great indoor pool and exercise room which is also convenient.

Kudos to the team at BW Pontoon Beach. The front office staff went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable, relaxing, interactive, and enjoyable. Staff enthusiastically greeted us and attended to our needs and interests. My family of 5 (with 3 children) stayed on the first floor. The kids loved that the pool was "the warmest pool water from any other hotels we have used and it is a good sized pool too." While this hotel does not have a hot tub, the pool temperature was kept so warm that it was a treat to go in. We rented a roll-away and had space to shift items in the room to accommodate our activities. The linens were soft and bright white too. I also liked that we could easily venture into the tourist areas of St. Louis with just a 15-20 minute drive that was easy to follow with the help of the GPS.

This is a great location when going to the St Louis area. This is my first time staying at this location and it won't be my be my last. I go to to see the Cardinals play a couple times a year. I also love the having the police station right across the street. The staff is very helpful and friendly.The rooms were clean and spacious Thanks for a great stay.

We happened to see this hotel as we were driving along the interstate, I had not noticed it on the internet. Checkin lady Cindy was very friendly, when she realized I had a mobility issue, she changed out room to one with a walk-in shower. She mentioned that the Denny's across the road, was good, and would give us a 20% discount if we showed our room key. Room was good size and clean. Breakfast was good. Close to the iterstate

Most hotels around here have no windows that open. These hotels get stuffy and old smelling inside no matter what they do to freshen it up. This Best Western is in a nice quite area and windows open to compliment the great relaxing room and outdoor area. It is a easy drive to downtown St. Louis and when the day is over you can come back and relax away the hustle.

Was a great place to stay during my 3 week job in area . Clean , big , comfortable room with good quality bed/mattress. Close to job. Breakfast very good. Would of liked to see bacon and boiled eggs a few times for variety at breakfast. Will be back for sure. Thanks for the very good stay.

I just wanted to take a few minutes to give Best Western Plus in pontoon beach Il a perfect star rating. I have never stayed with them before but I have stayed in many hotels for work and pleasure. I have to say the staff was amazing very friendly and polite. The room was very neat and clean. And the full breakfast was very good! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I will be staying at least once a month from now on.

I have stay at this hotel a few times and never had an issue. The workers theirs are very professional and nice, but I think I just need to warn people so that they can be on the look out. I woke up and starting to clean up my room l. I was making the bed and notice a black dot on bed. I looked closer and it was a bed bug full of my blood. I put it on a. White piece of paper to make sure it was what I thought. I even squeezed it to see if it was blood. I have photos. I notified management and they where professional.

We stayed one night. This was a very good motel up to BW's usual standard. Our receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless and modern and well furnished- everything you could want. Breakfast was fine- a good range of hot and cold food- cereals, toast, waffles, eggs, sausage etc.

I have stayed at many Best Western's across the world. Like most of them, I was pleasantly surprised at the simple and convenient ease of booking a room. I was also very surprised how the Best Westerns in the St. Louis Area stack up. All are about the same distance from Downtown St. Louis, but this location was a lot less in price. Just a short hop across the bridge and you were in "The City". Price wise...... a great deal. Totally enjoyed our stay.

The staff was helpful, used the fitness room and the pool. All were in good condition and upkeep. The staff made sure the cribs we requested were in the room and set up. When we requested new pillows they were out but put one together out of a comforter and pillowcase. Worked well.

Stayed here for a 2 day wrestling tournament in Granite City. Lots of restaurants aroundCheck In was a breeze, Nice Pool. Clean Room Breakfast was surprisingly great. Wifi worked in our room with no problem. We would stay again.

The staff, breakfasts, willingness to assist me and check out concerns were all taken care very quickly and with a smile. The only reason I did not rate excellent was due to the internet being out for 3 of the 5 days I stayed there. Other then that one area of concern, it was excellent.

Great place to find after traveling for about 8 hours in the rain. It was with great luck that I found this one with the Pontoon Beach police department in their front yard. Hotel was friendly, clean and easy to access.

The manager does not treat the extended stay travelers with the respect needed. She does not treat her staff very well, and her personality leaves a whole lot to be desired. She has refused to award points to people in the Best Western Rewards program if a low rate is negotiated.

My family (of 8) and I, traveled to this particular area for a funeral service. The manager, Vicki and her staff were outstanding and their customer service was exceptional. This was the only hotel that honored bereavement price, that alone made it convenient. I highly recommend this hotel at this location (as I haven't been to other Best Western). Thank you! Out of town for 4 weeks had to ask to get sheets changed after three weeks floor not vacuumed until i complained after three weeks shower never cleaned until i asked. complained to manager and was treated badly .only stayed because it was the only hotel that was not booked . Great breakfast

Room was very quiet, clean and pleasant. Bed was comfy. Breakfast was cooked on site by a LOVELY lady named Connie...you'll love her too. The hotel is just 15 minutes from St. Louis and has the feel of country. Very satisfying.

The motel was easy to get to from downtown St Louis The parking lot was well lite. and the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this motel. To best describn it as clean reasonable and easy axcess.

I go into "inspector" mode before settling into a room. We've had several bad experiences with dirty sheets, showers, etc. I was pleased to find everything very clean and neat. The bathroom was especially clean. We loved the shower design which made it unnecessary for a shower curtain; often these are quite dirty and are havens for bacteria. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the area.

The hotel itself was beautiful and was very well kept. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. However; the Manager of this hotel was rude and without compassion. We had family coming from out of state for a funeral, after being quoted a special price for the rooms, within an hour we were told there were no rooms available at that price. The manager was unwilling to work with us and made a difficult time even worse.

Connie and her coworker made our stay special. Her breakfast combined with her congeniality were a welcome relief from the micro wave breakfasts we have shared in the last 8 days. We have traveled from Arizona up through New Mexico and Colorado and then east into Kansas and Oklahoma and back up through Missouri to this stop. We have stayed in Holiday Inn Express, Marriott's and other Best Westerns but this breakfast was the best. So if you are tired of the microwave same o same o then stop here and enjoy saying help to Connie.

Booked this trip on a girls weekend to St. Louis. The area was a bit desolate, but for the price we were very satisfied. Breakfast in the morning was one of the best Best Western breakfasts I've ever had. If I find myself back in St. Louis again, I would definitely consider staying here

We have stayed at Best Westerns in the past but this was the best one of all. Although this facility has been in the area for some time, everything was if it was new. The rooms were well decorated and extremely clean. The bed comfortable and the area we stayed in was extremely quite. The staff was friendly and considerate for our comfort. The breakfast was better than most but the lady that took care of the breakfast area was especially friendly and efficient. The food was readily available and she treated us like we were guests in her own kitchen. From the front office staff to the maids, everyone was concerned for our comfort during our stay. We have stayed in this area for years but this was our first experience at this facility. We were so impressed that the Best Western will our first choice when visiting this area again.
