I will only stay here when traveling in the area. The staff is super friendly and helpful, the beds are very comfortable, nice pillows and the shower was amazing!ly They have a very nice selection for breakfast and beverages 24/7 that is a nice touch! The pool is very nice and clean and the area is organized. highly recommend this BW
What a great hotel! Perfect location, exceptional staff and clean, comfortable amenities. Everything about our stay, from check-in to departure, was perfect. Despite two large wedding groups also on property, we never heard a peep all night. Sadly, we slept too late for the wonderful breakfast we could smell as we left. Don't pass on this hotel. You can walk to other businesses, as well as to the lakefront access. We will definitely stay here again.
Our family stayed at the cleanest Western for three days for our son's wedding and rehearsal dinner, and it was the nicest experience we've had so far. The accommodations were the cleanest and most comfortable we had ever had. We were met by friendly staff who led us through a selection of local cuisine alternatives. Sue, one of the staff members, went above and beyond to ensure that our suite was spotless. My family really appreciated the breakfast, workout room, and nearby restaurants. It's a lovely, family-friendly, and pet-friendly environment. My husband and I are especially looking forward to returning this summer to explore the area and sample more of the local cuisine. Juan and Glori González 10/2024
This is the second time we stayed at Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites. Both trips exceeded our expectations. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is central to many vineyards on Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake. This trip we enjoyed apple picking at Apple Barrel Orchards, a cheese and ice cream tasting at Shtayburne Farm Creamery, a cheese tasting at Muranda Cheese, a visit to Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge, a (long) day trip to Niagara Falls, and a couple of vineyards. We had one of the best pizzas we've ever tasted at Silverbird Woodfired. I definitely recommend visiting the Finger Lakes region and staying at Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites.
I checked in to this property with three other guys on a five day motorcycle tour of the Finger Lakes area. The hotel itself, very clean, very modern and in an excellent location near the village center. Everything you could need or want is in walking distance of the hotel. The rooms were well appointed very quiet and very comfortable. The included breakfast was the typical BW plus menu with a decent selection that would satisfy almost anyone. Hotel staff, polite, professional, and they seem to be happy working there, which is not a common thing these days. I have had 30 hotels stay in the last couple of months, 25 of them have been at the Best Western brand, this property would rank in the top five.
Hotel clean, newer. in a quite area. would have preferred a room away from road noise. Manager on duty addressed the issue of the key card not working, additional treats were given to us. we found some interesting markets in Penn Yan and area, would have appreciated more suggestions of walking trails, markets. Overall hotel met our expectations.
Great clean hotel. Great location. Breakfast nice = Hampton. Staff very helpful and friendly. Just a quick trip with the pooch. Very dog friendly. Strongly encourage if you have a pet. Easy walk to town. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a very nice, clean comfortable hotel. The rooms were large and clean. There is some road noise but it was not very noticeable in our front facing 3rd floor room. The front desk staff were nice and friendly. The included hot breakfast was very good. The hot tub was nice and the pool was quite small but the water temperature was reasonable. There is plenty of parking and you can walk to several decent restaurants.
Great stay Great service friend staff great location walking distance to the main drag ample parking awesome breakfast . Awesome place to visit Great attractions examples wine trails close to the lake for boating and parks and recreational activities
This Best Western is an extremely clean and nicely decorated hotel. Front desk staff is very friendly and knowledgeable with any questions you may have. Housekeeping is also very nice as we saw a housekeeping staff member in our hallway when leaving one morning and asked for clean towels for later on in the day and they said it would absolutely be no issue. We didn't use the indoor pool, but we did go to it and check it out. The temperature was really nice and the water very clean.
This is by far the best Best Western inn we have ever stayed at. This was our fifth time and again we were not disappointed! Clean ,neat, well designed , and even the parking lot was spotless! Breakfast was as usual a treat to start your day. We will be back again next time!
Friendly helpful staff. Extremely clean rooms and hotel areas! A nice quiet room for sleeping with wonderful mattresses. A few cons, which really wasn't a big deal for us... some stains on carpet (should be replaced although carpet not old) and no pretty scenery looking out any hotel window but a short drive gives you lots of gorgeous views. Newish hotel...definitely not run down. Good breakfast bar with complimentary coffee and juice all day. I felt like I could come in from a long day of driving and relax, and I did!!!!
Comfortable room, clean property, convenient location, and friendly employees! Coffee and beverages were available 24 hours in the lobby, and the gift upon checking in was a nice touch! We were accommodated with a nice early check in. It was a pleasure staying at this location!
Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The room could use some renovations - the wallpaper is bubbling up in places. Service was great, the free breakfast was really nice with lots of options. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. Convenient location for site seeing around Keuka lake. Would stay here again.
Very clean and friendly staff, just very over priced @ $400.00 a night, has decent amount of parking , close to a couple restaurants and gas stations , some things to do in the area not too far from the hotel , we stopped at the Windmill farmers market which was very nice , has so good food and product vendors. The Mexican restaurant across from the hotel was a hit , very good for and not expensive at all.
Service was great, breakfast was enjoyable. Housekeeping did a great job in all areas. Rey friendly and helpful staff.
I was very satisfied with this Best Western. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. A good hot breakfast was provided. 24x7 Coffee and Juices. I was pleased and would stay here again.
We loved our stay at Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites. The location, which is convenient to both Keuka and Seneca Lakes, is great. The hotel is very clean and the staff are professional and personable. We won't hesitate to recommend this property to family and friends and will stay here whenever we visit the area.
Clean, large, room. Friendly front desk. Would stay here again. Housekeeping came while I was out so as to not interfere with my stay.
Best Western is at the heart of the Finger Lakes. Practically on Keuka Lake and close to Seneca Lake. It's a short trip to Hammondsport, Watkins Glenn, Geneva, and Canandaiqua.
Clean hotel with great customer service. Well situated to Main Street and lots of restaurant options. Walking distnace to Aldi and Tops too. Pet friendly as well. We stayed her3 overnight and coupled trip with hiking Watkins Glen and Corning Museum--it fit our family of 4 needs and super convenient to our desired activities.
Benjamin is extremely kind, caring, professional, and has excellent customer service knowledge! He took the time to listen to us and took care of all our needs immediately with a smiling friendly face. Benjamin is a great asset to Best Western!!
This Best Western is a nice hotel in the finger lakes area. I was in the area for an event and it was convenient and very well kept. My only issue was limited parking.
I really enjoyed my stay there. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The only downside is that it is a bid pricey. Definitely the place to stay in Penn Yan and I would stay there again.
When booking, be sure to request a larger room. The hotel has some rooms that are tiny and should not be full priced. Otherwise, staff was great and room was clean. Breakfast was great as well.
A great place to stay when visiting in the Finger Lakes. Accommodations are comfortable. Amenities include an indoor pool and spa, gazebo with grill, fire pit and complimentary hot breakfast.
This is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, and we travel a lot! Clean and comfortable, with lots of extra touches such as local baked goods at the breakfast buffet. Our two queen bed room was spacious, with loads of feather pillows on the beds. The shower amenities had a lovely citrus scent, and were available for purchase. There is daily housekeeping service. HOWEVER, the bathroom fan was incredibly loud and created such a breeze that we were chiled as soon as we stepped out of the shower. Even using the sink was irritating because of the noise. I would definitely recommend this hotel, though, but beware the fan!
Great spot. All one wants in a hotel. Location, clean,up to date, great breakfast and hospitable staff ready to assist.
We have stayed at this Best Western location for many years. It is consistently clean (rooms, lobby, etc), the staff is always friendly and helpful and the breakfast has a great variety and is very filling. The hotel has lots of amenities, such as a pool and fitness center (also all very clean), and takes dogs. The location is central to most points of interest in the Finger Lakes.
Nice, clean and welcoming location. Within walking distance of several eateries. Staff is professional and friendly and rates are very affordable. Also within short drive of several Finger Lakes wineries so this is a good stay over spot for your wine tour experience
The rooms were clean and roomy. The beds were a dream and I never say that. The hotel is very conveniently located in walking distance of may bars and restaurants. It is minutes to the Keuka wine trail.
At this location the staff go above and beyond. All areas of this hotel are spotless. The rooms, the kitchen area, The lobby and the pool and guest rooms were immaculate. I have no complaints and will stay here again. The price is reasonable, close to many things throughout the Finger Lakes and well worth giving it a try.
Although the hotel was not on a lake the affordable rates made this a good choice since we knew we would spend most of our time at the lakes. I also appreciated the 24/7 coffee, tea and juice. Benjamin at the front desk was always pleasant and helpful.
We've stayed twice at this Best Western in Penn Yan, NY, and never been disappointed. Located on the main street in Penn Yan, but we experienced no problems with noise from traffic. Very Clean, comfy, and a wonderful staff who go out of their way to make your stay a great one! Excellent location super close to wineries, orchards, shops, eateries, and Keuka Lake. Lovely hot breakfast with something for everyone...eggs, potatoes, meat, pancakes, hot and cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, lots of beverage choices, muffins, bagels, spreads, etc. Pool, hot tub, excellent water pressure in shower. Comfy beds with lots of pillows! We wanted for nothing, and if we needed anything, the staff was happy to provide it. We love that our points never expire, and you can pay for your room in part with what points you have accumulated, or pay it in full with points if you have enough. We feel very much at home staying here. Highly recommend!
This hotel was clean, efficient, and centrally located. We spent four nights and we would definitely stay again. We traveled with a dog, and the pet area was secluded, quiet, ample and well maintained.
Great hospitality, breakfast with reasonable hours of serving, cleanliness of rooms top notch, and congenial employees.... I highly recommend! Have spent many many nights throughout recent years at this hotel. Also, our labrador loves it here... they are very pet-friendly with nice welcome gift for our dog and pleasant outdoor space for him to walk.
Located in a not-so -crazy town away from most of the wineries. Price was he best we could find on a weekend. Very nice, large, clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful—gave us ideas to wineries around the lakes they thought we might like. Breakfast had everything you needed to start your day. Daily housekeeping service. Located near an intersection so it was hard to get a completely quiet room. Would definitely stay again.
Very nice hotel with unusually nice amenities, located in a picturesque town, walk to nature trail, lake, restaurants, village shops. Drive to many lovely wineries, breweries, scenic landscspe over rolling hills and lakes.
This is our home base when visiting family and friends in Penn Yan. Great location and super amenities including indoor pool and spa, pergola for outdoor entertaining. Hot complimentary breakfast, afternoon cookies, and coffee and juice 24 hours is so appreciated. Staff are always pleasant and accommodating.
Very friendly staff who work hard to give exceptional service. Wehave stayed at the Best Western Plus Inn and Suites a number of times and enjoyed ourselfs every time. My onllt tip is to ask for a room in the back part of the hotel. It is much more quite in that area as the front is on a havely travled truk road.
Stayed 3 nights with my family and we loved it. Friendly staff, the rooms are clean and good breakfast. Pool, hot tub and gym are also nice. It is about 5 minutes walk from the main street, where you can find bars, restaurant, etc. Highly recommended.
The room was super clean, spacious, quiet and had all the extras. Included Breakfast: they thought of everything - almond milk, gluten-free, hot sauce, yogurt, coffee and pancake making machines, a hot selection that was constantly refilled, fruit, granola, etc.
This is our third summer staying at BW Vineyard View. What began as a covid honeymoon spot in 2020, is now our yearly family vacation place. This hotel has it all. Immaculate, spacious rooms with a variety of floor plans, awesome indoor pool with a hot tub, and a delicious breakfast bar. The free juice and coffee 24 hours are an added bonus. You can walk right into town and you're a short drive to Keuka Lake and the wineries. We had some rainy days but the pool is open 10am-10pm so we got lots of swim time for our busy toddler. What sets this place apart from all other hotels is the staff. The people working here are top notch. Kind, helpful and knowledgeable of the area. From the front desk to the housekeeping they are some of the most polite and driven individuals I have encountered in all my years of traveling. I hold this standard to all other hotels and no one compares. Thank you for making our family trip another wonderful stay!
This hotel was perfect for an overnight stay for a family wedding in the Finger Lakes region. Location in Penn Yan was near the wedding venue at Seneca Lake Brewing Company. Front desk staff were super friendly, room was spacious and clean, and breakfast buffet was surprisingly delicious.
Great value for this clean, pet friendly hotel. The staff is efficient and welcoming. Breakfast and afternoon snack really amo the value up. You can also walk to a great brewery and places to eat. This was our 4th stay and I'm sure we will back next summer for a 5th.
Great hotel. A little dated but clean and comfortable rooms. Very nice and accommodating staff. Put out a nice spread for breakfast and it was available early (starting at 5 am). Great central location in Penn Yan and felt safe. I would definitely stay there again.
Love this small hotel ...warm, friendly, clean, excellent customer service, close to town, close to wineries, 3 miles from a waterfall and trail ....a perfect place to stay when enjoying the Finger Lakes region.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly the room and hotel were very well maintained there were no issues at any point in our visit the pool and finesse center were in awesome condition and very clean
We have stayed at this hotel many times and have been very comfortable there. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean, very pet friendly and breakfast is very adequate. the afternoon cookie selection is delicious.
We stayed at the BWPlus in Penn Yan. We were more than pleased with our experience. I have stayed at the other hotels in town on previous trips. I will choose BW everytime we come to town now, and for any other destinations where Best Western is available.
This Best Western is clean, well run, and in a great location. Good breakfast is included. Great value! We were visiting friends for a memorial service, and appreciated the kind words from the team member at check-in. This is a great hotel to book for visiting local wineries in the Finger Lakes. We will be back!
We highly recommend this hotel!! The rooms are a good size. All areas were clean and staff is super friendly, especially Nigel!! We enjoyed the indoor pool & hot tub! There are quite a few food places nearby, even a Cam's Pizza!! You won't be disappointed staying here!!
We had a short stay for a family gathering near this location. Our room appeared to be brand new, extremely clean with everything in working order. We did bring our dog with us and were please he settled in very well. Even the dog walk area was extremely clean. This location is a very short walk to Main Street. We are planning another visit to the area within the next six months.
We stayed one night at the Best Western in Penn Yan while in the area wine tasting. The hotel was conveniently located, very clean, very friendly staff. Complimentary breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.
This was not our first time using this hotel as our base to enjoy the Finger Lakes. We have always found this hotel a worthwhile cost for a room; however, this time, not so. This king suit was old, musty, and needed a good scrub and brush. Not saying it was dirty, just old and required a refresh. It makes it even more disappointing as they raised the day rate by 32 dollars. Not that I am cheap, but not worth the increase. Side note the new normal is no room tidying up unless requested—the same price with less service.
Great location from which to tour the Finger Lake region. Large rooms. Relatively reasonable prices. Complimentary breakfast featuring eggs, meat, potatoes (two "menus" which switch daily; one day bacon, the next day sausage... omelets (microwaved) one day; scrambled the next; tater tots one day; diced potatoes the next. Good internet. Nice little gym; indoor pool and hot tub as well. VERY friendly staff! Free parking. You can actually walk to a few local restaurants and "watering holes." Nice LOOKING hotel from both the outside and the inside. Nice public areas. Nice rooms. Definitely AT LEAST in the same class (and perhaps superior to) the "budget" offerings of the "name" competitors. My only "complaints" (and I'm hoping management reads this and responds) are, 1) The pool/hot tub doesn't open till 10 am. I found this annoying... and weird. Usually hotel pools open at 6 am... or perhaps 7 am... but definitely by 8 am. And 2) They only have SMALL pillows. As in half the size of a queen pillow. VERY annoying. I asked housekeeping for full-sized pillows... queen or king... even "standard"... but was told they didn't have them. Oh! And one suggestion: RESTOCK the bottled water in each room DAILY for multiple night stays. Bottom line, though... HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL if you're looking for a "regular" hotel and not a B&B or upscale property.
Have stayed at this particular location several times over the years and have never been disappointed. They seem to take great pride in how they provide their service at this location. Hotel is always clean and staff is friendly;yet professional. Also, location; near breweries and wineries is a plus.
Very pleased with our stay here! Mom and I just wanted to get out of town for a couple of days and have an overnight stay in Wine Country. This was the perfect place for it! Central location to Hammondsport, Geneva, Watkins Glen areas. Hotel is located in a safe area, and is very close to downtown area so you can have a nice walk if you wish. Shops and restaurants are close by. Lobby is big and welcoming. Members(rewards membership is free, so sign up!) receive a bag with bottled water and a snack upon check in. (You also earn points with your stay as a member. You can get a free night with your points, and points never expire.) 24/7 complimentary beverages(coffee, tea, juices, hot chocolate)available in lobby. Vending machines also available for snacks and soda pop. Pool and hot tub, exercise room available. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. We were greated by a sweet, wonderful guy named Benjamin. Very knowledgeable about the area, and he was able to give honest recommendations about things we were interested in. We just adore him! Our room was spacious and sooooo clean... No "hotel smell"... How refreshing that was! Beds were comfy and had lots of pillows. Carpet was clean. WiFi worked with no issues. Plenty of places to spread out or store our belongings. Bathroom was very clean, and shower had great water pressure. All of the amenities in the room and bathroom were in good working order as well. Complementary breakfast is from 6AM to 10AM. Pancake machine...fun to watch and great little pancakes, lots of cereal and pastry choices, yogurt machine with fresh blueberries and other toppings, bacon, eggs, potatoes, fresh fruit, oatmeal...no complaints except they don't have any herbal teas, but I always bring some with me. Overall, this is a very clean and well kept hotel. Would not hesitate to recommend it, and would absolutely stay here again.
We stayed 5 nights, the staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent and constantly being restocked, Hotel was spotless. Spa was wonderfful. Can not beat the location!
We stayed here for an anniversary trip. Great location in Penn Yan. It was central to the two biggest winery lakes. Penn Yan is a quaint area and we were able to walk to dinner and shopping in the town. Breakfast does get a bit crowded at certain times but was extremely manageable. Bathroom is small and tub is high to step into for people with mobility issues. Hotel is pet friendly so our room smelled of dog unless we kept the AC unit on. Then it seemed to dissipate. Room next to ours had their dog along and we rarely heard it or any other pet bark. Nice pergola area with a fountain and grills to sit under and there was a fire pit with chairs but we saw no firewood, etc. to light it. Our room was a king with a seating area including a pull out sofa. The refrigerator was a huge plus for us to keep some wine and cheese, etc. chilled for us to enjoy after our travels.
All you can expect in a hotel: comfortable, clean and well-appointed room. The breakfast was varied and included hot dishes, breads, beverages. The front desk staff was very helpful and extremely friendly with their restaurant recommendations. The hotel had a prepared sheet with a list of restaurants and addresses, with a map of the downtown area
Great location when visiting the Finger Lakes. Comfortable accommodations, friendly staff, extra amenities including indoor pool and spa, and outdoor grilling area and fire pit. Full complimentary breakfast with hot selections, pancake and yogurt machines. Coffee, tea and juice available 24/7.
We stayed here for 2 nights, it was much more than I was expecting! Spacious, clean, mini suite, nice TV, quiet, great bed, nice breakfast with fresh bagels wrapped up individually! We could have stayed here longer!
This was our first visit to Penn Yan and on a return will definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff was extremely friendly and the rooms extremely clean. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day. The location couldn't have been better, since we brought our dog. We could walk with him into town and there was a little park across the street. Tks for a very plesant stay!!
This property is one of the very best BW hotels for friendliness, cleanliness, comfort, location, and pet friendly. Room rates are very reasonable and not overpriced like I've experienced at other BW properties. Convenient to restaurants, shopping, hiking, getting on the lake, & hitting the wine trails. This is an annual anniversary trip for us and we have never been disappointed!
All areas of hotel were very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful . Had maps of local restaurants on the ready along with recommendations. Breakfast was a good combo of hot foods (including a touch free pancake maker instead of the usual waffle maker)and cold offerings. Coffee/tea available 24 hours a day in lobby. Pool/hot tub hours are 10am-10pm and the area was clean and stocked with towels. There wasn't a changing area for the pool-but a restroom nearby that could be used. We just changed in our room. Room was generally quiet except the walls (like almost every hotel ) were thin, so I could tell when someone was getting ice…. But certainly not a deal breaker. Would stay again if in area.
You will always be greeted with a smile at this Best Western located in the heart of the finger Lakes area. Features we enjoy include an indoor pool and hot tub, clean spacious rooms, and the hot breakfast choices. Washer/dryer in hotel is another bonus. Staff here does all they can to accommodate requests and ensure that you have a pleasant stay!
Great central location in the Finger Lakes area. Within walking distance to a number of drugstores, Dunkin, and Main Street. Prompt and courteous check in, recognized rewards status with a goodie bag. Benjamin had a great restaurant recommendations locally. Room was clean, nice toiletries. Fridge and Microwave. Breakfast had different hot options each day which kept it from being the same old thing every morning. My only nitpick is I love the Best Western waffles and this location had the pancake maker which was out of service one day but back in service the next. Still a fun thing to try at breakfast!
Overall a good experience. I thought the breakfast was better than average and kept so clean and well replenished. It never seemed crazy busy. Desk staff were so nice! Good location to walk to downtown bars and restaurant. The room was awesome, we had a king suite and 3rd floor. Even next to elevator we didn't hear noise. The daily dog fee seemed excessive given that there was no daily housekeeping service. We made the bed, tidied up and emptied trash daily. I could understand a one time fee but not daily. We took our dog with us everywhere, she was in room alone less than one hour the whole trip. That aside, we enjoyed it.
We came here in 2020 for our honeymoon and had a wonderful time. We came back with our 11 month old son and had even more fun! Super clean, great breakfast and amazing staff. We highly recommend coming to this hotel!
Went with another couple for the weekend to the Finger Lakes. Good location. Hotel was very nice. Rooms were clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was decent, typical with variety. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.
Hotel room was great, clean, and roomy. Service was friendly and quick. There is a pool and whirlpool spa but we didn't make use of it. The only downsize was the breakfast was the typical quick limited selection items and I would rate lower than other similar hotels.
This is our favorite Best Western. It's the cleanest, with such a warm welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast is great, with both hot and cold selections. All the team members working here are very friendly and helpful.
Loved the hotel and pool in Pen Yen. Within walking distance to many restaurants and the center of the village. Nice breakfast. No complaints and I would stay here again should I ever be in Pen Yan again.
Love this hotel overall. Clean rooms, great staff. But, in the cooler months, we like to use a hotel pool. The pool is disgusting here. We noticed last year that it was very cloudy. This year, we noticed it is not only cloudy, but very hard to breath with the chemicals smell. My skin also felt burning. I felt the discharge opening into the pool and it was turned off .. so NO water was being filtered and sent back into he pool. That's not only dangerous but disgusting! Rest of hotel was clean. Love the staff!
We had an excellent experience with our 4 night stay here. Our room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi was in great working order. The hot breakfast every morning was delicious. The hotel is clean, new and very affordable.
Had a great experience, from friendly staff to smooth check out. Staff accommodated early check in, moving rooms so they were close together, and adjusting other party to check in earlier. Breakfast was good, Internet worked well. Hotel is centrally located in town by restaurants, stores, and even walking distance to lake if energetic.
Rooms were great. Nice to have a semi-separate living area. It was quiet at night. It was close to town, just a short walk. People were very friendly and hotel was super clean. Breakfast was standard fare. Dunkin Donuts right across the street if wanted.
This is a great hotel! Very clean; good hot breakfast; excellent staff! We have stayed at this hotel at least a half dozen times and have never been disappointed. Even during the pandemic, they managed everything efficiently and kept the hotel and rooms clean, comfortable and safe for everyone.
Nigal and staff went above and beyond to make our stay the best. The lobby was so clean and the room too. Breakfast was perfect way to start our day. The staff are so accommodating and professional. From the time we arrived Nigal made us feel so comfortable as he did through our whole stay. IF you're looking for clean rooms, great service and a friendly professional staff then you must stay here. My wife and I will return in the summer to enjoy another trip to Penn Yan. Of course, we be staying at the Best western and looking forward to seeing the staff again. Thank you for a job well done. Mark & Alli
Absolutely amazing friendliness staff I have ever experienced. Super clean met all our expectations and beyond. Requested room close to each other and request was met rooms even adjoined. Hot tub was clean and hot. Absolutely wonderful
The check-in person was very personable and helpful. The king room on the 3rd floor with jetted tub was extremely nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. Room temperature was easy to adjust. Breakfast (with a pancake machine) was very good. The jetted tub was pretty loud, but that didn't bother me too much. Overall, a very nice stay!
In the heart of Pen Yan, best western plus was a real find. You are few minutes away from Keuka lake and 20 from Seneca lake. Both lakes heal w their own ‘wine trails' where you can purchase and sample wines. The town of Pen Yan is straight out of a hallmark movie with a bit more bars and nightlife. It's about 10 minutes from Keuka College. My wife come here several times a year. Spring and fall is beautiful and you can enjoy the lake in the summer. The snow in the winter is gorgeous. The staff at the hotel is super friendly. There's breakfast, a gym, a pool with hot tub. All for a very reasonable rate. A real gem
Not much in Penn Yan. Sad food experience. There is a hiking trail near hotel. Room was spacious and appreciated the dinning table in room instead of a desk. Bathroom with newer shower enclosure and great water pressure and Hot! Bathroom was tight but it does allow for more room in the suite. Bed comfortable with ample pillows. Room appeared clean. The free breakfast was average and wished there was hot oatmeal inplace of instant. Parking charging stations.
I stayed at this hotel many times over the last 4 years traveling from LI to visit my daughter in college. I never had any issues with the staff & the room has always been very clean & the breakfast has always been great. We had an issue with my last stay, when I tried to leave my car would not start & I want to thank Breanna Ross for helping me get on my way. She used her personal car & jumping cables to get my car started. Breanna went above & beyond with helping me & I'm very grateful for everything she has done. I'm looking forward to future stays at the Best Western.
Not a bad hotel but since i stay at many hotels i use a blue light and found this one lacking cleanliness at check-in. the blue-light should urine stains the toilet and something on the walls of bathroom. the couch in room we had to cover with sheet due to what looked like vomit on it.
This hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is located in an area that is accessible to many attractions. Wineries, state parks, and waterfalls are within a 30 minute drive. A short 10-15 minute walk to downtown Penn Yan with many shops and restaurants, or a 2 minute car ride. Breakfast offered a nice selection of hot and cold foods. The pool and hot tub area was clean and inviting.
The hotel is nice with big guest rooms. My only complaint is that I wish the bathroom was larger in our room. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly. Penn Yan is a great little town with many conveniences.
I have stayed at all the hotels in Penn Yan and this is by far always the cleaniest and has the friendliest staff. The staff is always one of the most important parts for a good hotel stay and they do not disappoint. Rooms are always very clean, breakfast is hot.
The Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites is a great place to stay in the Finger Lakes. We spent 5 nights there in early November. The price was reasonable; the room was spacious, comfortable, clean. The bed was comfortable. The hot breakfast was great (some kind of eggs, bacon/sausage, hash browns, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, rolls, etc). The only complaint I had was that the internet was fast, but sometimes spotty, especially in the evening. All in all though, it was a convenient and comfortable location.
If you are going to stay in the Penn Yan area to explore Keuka, Seneca, Cayuga or other lakes to the west....THIS is the hotel you want to stay at. Clean, convenient to most wineries, breweries and cideries in the main FL's and attentive staff. If you can, splurge a bit and get the jacuzzi in your room...but they have a convenient one in the pool area too! About 1.5 hours from Syracuse, 30 mins east or west to other lakes. Only issue you might have, depending on "off" season....restaurants in the are just don't stay open past 8PM....only a very few, so CHECK before you go!
We spent two nights during a very busy season when they were completely full and everything was perfect. Such immaculate property! Helpful staff, very friendly and Many appealing amenities as listed on their site. We highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here four nights while visiting Finger Lakes. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The lobby and breakfast area were always clean and neat. The staff was the friendliest of any hotel I have visited. They also were very helpful if we had any questions as to where to eat, places to visit, etc. Was and excellent place to stay.
We spent 3 nights at the Best Western Vineyard Inn and Suites. This hotel is very clean, nicely appointed and has great staff. It's easy to get to and has easy access to many activities and places in the region. I highly recommend the BW Vineyard Inn and Suites.
Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was a bit small but clean and well stocked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Several members of the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was pleasant. Pool and hot tub were a plus!
Comfy bed, clean, and friendly staff. Great location- walk to restaurants and park. Could use upgrade on breakfast. Staff recommendations were top notch. The park and canal were right around the corner. Highly recommend. Price a bit high but worth it. Not fancy but clean and comfy
Hotel was very clean and comfortable. We've stayed here numerous times on the past and will continue to do so in the future. Breakfast was very good. Only downside was that the hot tub was down for maintenance. Not a problem though. I'd rather have it working properly so others can enjoy.
We thought this was an excellent value hotel. Convenient location for our Finger Lakes vacation. We took advantage of the fire pit and had a lovely time conversing with fellow travelers. Breakfast was great and the evening cookies were a nice treat. Room was spacious and clean. The only thing that could be improved is the WiFi and TV. The WiFi was unreliable/slow, which wasn't a big deal as we were on vacation and only checking email/social media. If I was working while staying there, I would've been frustrated. TV would be great if you could access streaming apps like Netflix or Amazon. Again, not a huge deal, but that's becoming a standard amenity in most hotels. Would definitely stay here again and have already recommended this spot to others looking to stay in the Finger Lakes.
We had a great stay. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great breakfast. Must try the pancake machine. Clean room. Comfortable beds. Housekeeping went above and beyond to return a couple items we had left behind in our room. Thank you!
The best western vineyard in Pann Yam NY is very comfertable with lovely service and very helpfull staff. The hotel is located at the center town. The room is beautifull. The only complain is the breakfast which has only suger prodacts with no options for diabetics.
Over the years and as recent as 2 weeks prior, we have been in many Best Westerns in the US, and thought with a Plus designation this would be a great place to stay. I arranged a short trip with our friends and we all were disappointed with this hotel. Both of our rooms had draining issues, sink & shower (several inches of water), mattress was old & uncomfortable (springs etc), bottom sheets were rough and in the one "L" shaped room, the tv was around the corner from the bed in front of sofa bed! Front office was notified and we were told hotel was sold out. Next day I did speak to the manager and she was very helpful in getting us moved to other rooms - (different style of mattress & newer!). Housekeeping really needs to step up-for a Plus designation I expect a higher level of quality control & products. Breakfast area was manned by a person who also was at the front desk so replenishment was not being kept up with. Coffee maker was from "quite a few years ago"-(usually there are carafes) and in general, the whole area was small with room for improvement. This hotel was designated a Plus hotel several years ago-to maintain that they are supposed to replace items when worn, offer a higher quality of linens & in general, keep up appearance. **Many thanks to Megan, the hotel manager, who went out of her way to get maintenance to thoroughly inspect our new rooms and made sure we were comfortable for our 2nd night stay.
We loved the hotel, nice pool and hot tub. Big rooms and great breakfast. Penn Yan was a disappointment, drab, ugly town. Better towns to stay at in the Finger Lakes. Parking is a bit tight and it can be noisy if you are on the first floor.
This was my first stay at a BW hotel and it totally exceeded my expectations. The hotel was immaculate. It has a great lobby and breakfast area. The rooms are clean and very comfortable and the whole staff from the front desk to house keeping were great. I would definitely book at BW again.
Best value we could find in high season. Comfortable, clean room, good location. A computer error made for a bumpy check in but the gentleman at the front desk went all out to make it right. We actually had to tell him to stop and that we were all good.
We were glad we chose this hotel. Clean, friendly and a fresh breakfast. The staff was very attentive. The 5 pillows on each bed was lovely. The shower pressure was very good for a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised how much we enjoyed the site.
Courteous staff, clean & comfortable rooms (although our bed wasn't the greatest this visit) and convenient location makes this a great place to stay when in the Finger Lakes. Close to wineries, attractions, and outlet shopping. Pet Friendly with a nice little yard in the back for walking. We also enjoy the fire pit (surrounded by Adirondack chairs) on those chilly nights.
This was our 2nd stay at this location. It's perfectly situated at the top of Keuka Lake, convenient to everything. Very dog friendly, our room on the first floor was perfect for those late-night walks. Great dinner choices within walking distance, friendly staff. Will go again soon!

My wife and I travelled with our dog to the Finger Lakes for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The room was as advertised and the breakfast was kept well stocked at the various times that we visited it. Interacted with various members of the staff and they all were very friendly.
Nice room - plenty of space, comfortable furniture and bed, nice amenities and a courteous, attentive staff. The breakfast had lots of great options. We would definitely stay here again. It is in a great location - easily walk to restaurants and shops in town. It was quiet and the furniture and beds were very comfortable.
Friendly, very helpful staff. Clean hotel. Breakfast bar was maintained very well. Coffee, tea and juice always available. Hotel lobby was attractive. Centrally located for touring region, but area surrounding hotel is not very appealing. There are a couple of very casual food places close by in town. Bathroom was quite small and difficult to maneuver around door and toilet to get into bathroom. Bathroom fan was extremely loud and could not be turned off unless bathroom light was turned off as well. Fan was annoying as well as getting in and out of bathroom. Tub was also very high, could be difficult for some to get in and out of. Found a layer of dust on dresser where TV sat, which seemed odd since everything else in the room was very clean, except for the rug, which had several stains. Overall, a very pleasant stay.
Great place to stay with pet and centrally located for the wedding venues in Pen Yan. Staff was very attentive to our groups needs and made everyone feel welcomed. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to the area to explore other venues.
We loved our suite room, the entire staff went above and beyond every single day. I need to eat gluten free and they made sure to have lots of gluten free breakfast choices for me! Would definitely recommend!
people in this hotel will smoke in their rooms - also they allow pets - if you like dogs barking in the middle of the night - enjoy, there also were people fighting in front of the hotel (assume they were on drugs) - they hotel staff had to run them off as they were upsetting people. - not the best experience.
Close to Seneca Lake & Keuka Lake Wine Trails. Rates are reasonable, rooms are spotless and staff is friendly. Across the road from Keuka Outlet Trail and Park and a quick walk from the Penn Yan village. We have stayed here many times and will continue to when we visit the Finger Lakes
This hotel is Ideally located in the NY Finger Lakes region, close to the wine trails and other activities. It is exceptionally clean, with friendly, helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable. We've stayed here many times, and have no complaints at all.
This is our go to hotel when visiting family in Penn Yan. The location is convenient and the rooms are always clean and comfortable. We especially enjoy the pool and hot tub, and getting a nice hot breakfast in the morning is an added bonus during this difficult Covid 19 era.
We had such a wonderful experience with the staff and local areas. We had dinner with views of the lake and got to explore several local waterfalls. The staff were able to point us in the right direction to make it an incredible weekend to remember! A perfect location to visit some wineries.
Nigel was such a wonderful and helpful part of our stay. So friendly and helpful!! Pool was safe and clean, breakfast for current conditions was great. Only thing was tv was small and outdated with spotty reception.
Nigel and the crew always make us feel comfortable. Always know they are doing their best to keep everything safe and clean. We drive past other hotels to stay here due to the care they have for their gueata
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel. Exceptionally clean. Huge room. Friendly staff. No matter what we asked they went out of their way to accomodate. Couldnt beat the price. Highly recommended!
Stay here for two nights. Very clean hotel, the staff was awesome. It was nice to have a hot breakfast in the morning. Also, they had the pool and the hot tube open. you just had to sign up and only 10 people where allowed in the pool are. There close to many wineries. My wife and I had a great time staying here. Definitely will be back this summer.
The employees were nice and helpful. Room was perfect and clean. Breakfast was delicious (try the potatoes). Enjoyed the stay. Breanna helped me throughout my stay and she was a delight. 10/10 would stay again. Grade A service and experience.
Hotel was great loved it no problems great breakfast and great staff thank you so much, manger is great and would stay there again when in the area. Would choose this hotel over any other one prices were great and so was the rooms
Very busy intersection with lots of trucks so very noisy. Hotel was very clean and staff was very friendly. Breakfast was Okay. Hot tub was not working the entire 4 nights stay. They said it was getting worked on but never saw anyone working on it. Did feel it was a good location. Showers are wonderful! very hot water and high pressure. Very close to waterfalls. Bed was not super comfortable but not horrible. We had some issues when we first go there with the refrigerator not working at all. They got us a new one right away. Overall we would consider staying again.
Our first stay at the hotel. We stayed three nights. Customer service was above average. All the staff were very nice. We had a larger room and had plenty of space. Bathroom was small. Not sure how it would work for a bigger person as we are both fairly small. Did not like the stain on the carpet in the room. Other than that, a very nice place close to down town. We will stay here again on our next trip.
This hotel is the only we stay in during our visits, we've introduced this hotel to friends and they totally agree, the Manager is fantastic, the hotel is pretty, clean, and takes care of their guests, always a happy staff, breakfast is great and it has an overall great vibe, it's convenient location is close to Seneca and Keuka lakes, we haven't stayed anywhere else is 5 plus years, that says it all!!
This hotel from top to bottom was clean, sanitized, friendly, welcoming...and it was on Halloween. Our breakfast was ordered the night before and ready for pickup at a time we selected. The rooms were clean, and at no time did we every feel our health was compromised. We can't wait to come back!
Our room and the entire hotel were very attractive. The room was exceptionally clean. Even with Covid, breakfast was good and filling. Very quiet and spacious. We had a King suite room. We will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.
This hotel surpassed our expectations for a Best Western property at the price we paid. The location allowed us to easily visit wineries on the northwest side of Seneca Lake as well as those around Keuka lake. From there we also hiked the Outlet Trail and shop in the quaint town of Penn Yan.
Hotel is very clean & room was comfortable, but noisy as it was at busy intersection. Hot tub was very nice & Covid hot breakfast ordered night before was fair & ready on time. Most staff was very nice. We had no problems. Is right in town, not close enough to lake for any view, but tree we could see were nice & in full fall colors.
Room and public areas were clean and felt safe. All staff we encountered were friendly. Complimentary breakfast left much to be desired. It's free and convenient but that shouldn't limit the egg style and type of breakfast meat to only one choice each day, the only option was yes or no essentially. All the food seemer to be frozen and reheated as well, which brings me back to my previous point, if it's just being unpackaged and heated then why are there no choices? This is my biggest complaint of my stay, and I don't understand how management of any respectable hotel could find this acceptable: This is the first hotel that I've stayed at, in history, that would not get me a taxi when I requested it, nor did they have any clue as to a taxi that would service the area. The front desk referred me to only one taxi service that stops operating at 5:00 p.m. on Fridays, and did even not work weekends (our stay was Fri-Mon). When I asked for alternatives they claimed they had none. I had to look up and call several different local taxi services to establish safe transportation between wineries and this hotel for every trip. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially if you are going to the Finger Lakes to visit the wineries. Accessibility in this region is an issue mainly due to state insurance laws that severely inhibit the ability for rideshare drivers to work here. Pair this with staying at an established hotel, for over $200/night, that makes virtually no effort to assist you from getting point a to point b, and you are in for a stressful experience. Save your money and stay at an Airbnb instead, unless they decide to raise the bar off the floor at Best Western Penn Yan.
Wonderful location to stay for touring Keuka and Seneca lakes . Hot breakfasts available from pre-ordering every morning . Good and safe process . Pet friendly hotel 100% . Recommend this hotel to all .
We stayed here recently (Oct 2020) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Very impressed with the front desk staff's customer service (especially Nigel!), cleanliness and comfort of room, and just overall accommodations. Bed and pillows were comfy, room was spotless (like-new) bathroom was perfectly clean and amazing shower as well. Also loved the free hot breakfast every morning (due to COVID, you fill out a slip of paper with what you want the following morning for breakfast, along with a pick-up time, and hand it to the front desk clerk the night before). There also is a very inviting looking pool and hot tub, though we did not have time to use them. Also a lovely terrace area out front with some chairs as well as a fire pit when we were there, which was nice to sit outside by the fire in the evenings after dinner. I would definitely stay here again.
Can't go wrong with this place. Great location. Dunkin' & pizza shop across the street. Five miles from The Windmill open air market. And pick a direction and you'll hit a winery. Plenty of parking. Indoor pool and hot tub. Grab and go breakfast - even with COVID. Rooms were clean.
We had a wonderful and fun stay at the Best Western Vineyards ...Accommodations and staff were excellent! The hotel was quiet and had all the amenities we needed including a gym and swimming pool (indoor). Anyone that has the time to experience this wonderful hotel and service will be very pleased with the experience!
What great place to spend the night. This hotel had what we were looking for. Clean. Comfortable. Affordable. Although it does not have a restaurant, it is within easy walking distance of a number of local watering holes that provide excellent food and drink. Just ask the staff and they'll direct you to the places they like to eat. Breakfast, of course, is limited by Covid but what we had was more then enough. Best Western Plus has definitely climbed our list of chains we would consider in the future.
The hotel was beyond our expectations. The staff was courteous and kind. Our room was clean. We had no problems. The best part is the go-to bag they prepare for the guest. That was sweet! Great Experience!
Hotel looks clean staff friendly and helpful. I was disturbed that no ice machines were on floors (ice pack needed ice)! We Had a ‘quiet' KING room which turned out to be very noisy. There were no glasses or cups anywhere nothing to rinse following brushing! Bring your own cups.
We added an extra day and had to change rooms but the staff allowed us to get a late checkout for the one room and early check-in for the other so it was an easy transfer from one room to another. Hotel in Penn Yan is a great location within easy travel distances to wineries on both Lake Keuka and Lake Seneca. We actually drove around both lakes on separate days.
We could not have had a more pleasant stay and the staff at this hotel was SUPERB. Front desk always polite, easy to understand and so very helpful to my wife and I. The property was also very clean inside and out and offered a couple of nice outside seating areas to relax in the evening. We ordered some hot items (bacon and hash browns) along with the grab and go breakfast and were more than satisfied as you could help yourself to hot and cold beverages and well as toaster and microwave, if needed. Oh, the room doors also must be PULLED SHUT by the occupant - not the same in most hotels - where they SLAM so loud in the morning it is ridiculous and most occupants are not courteous enough to the sleeping neighbors if they have to get up and leave at the crack of dawn. We have been awaken numerous times at 5 and 6 AM because of loud slamming doors. This to us was a huge plus for this hotel. (Now if something could be used to "train" those using the hallways at such early and late hours!) We plan to go back as the staff and cleanliness is what stood out at this hotel. It is also within walking distance to the Keuka Outlet Trail (biking and walking) as well as to many restaurants and bars. A nice place!
I came in my room was a mess bed wasn't made pillows on floor, trash But robinette came to my rescue providing prompt service with a smile (even through the mask) iam still on the trip so I hope to gage there service further
Doing the wine thing in the Finger Lakes. Nice motel in a great location. Easy to get to with great access to the surrounding wine country. Clean, good parking. Close to a couple of nice restaurants. Staff were very nice . Morning continental breakfast was actually pretty good. Outdoor stay again.
Fantastic location, great facility and professional staff. The location is excellent if touring around the Finger Lakes of New York. The facility is fresh, appealing and welcoming. The staff is professional and working to make their guests feel welcomed; exhibiting the smile that is not showing through their actions. Have worked well through this pandemic.
We also stayed at this hotel last year on our way to Niagara Falls. Close to Watkins Glen and the Finger Lakes. Extremely clean with friendly helpful staff. They are very conscious of COVID and still provide a hot complimentary breakfast by providing an order form the night before and you pick a time to pick it up. Coffee and juice are available 24 hours a day. Bob at the front desk was extremely helpful giving us tips and a map on the local trails. Highly recommend!
From the minute we checked in, we felt all precautions had been taken. Free breakfast:they give you a order form to turn in the night before and your breakfast is packaged and ready for you to enjoy either in your room or if you prefer, theres a little outdoor area around a firepit. Sample foods are potatoes, bacon, egg patty (pass on this) plus yogurts, fruit, granola bar. Perfect. Rooms are spacious and have all been refurbished:new clean carpets and furniture. Only complaint is tiny bathroom. My 6'4 husband felt cramped but its still all good. Staff always wear makes and are all pleasant and helpful. Only downfall (nothing to do with hotel) is that there aren't any restaurants worth eating at within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!
We traveled mid-pandemic to visit family. We appreciated the care taken to provide a safe environment throughout our stay. We were initially concerned about traveling with an at-risk family member but the experience was great.
We decided to take a quick overnight trip just to get away since things are staring to "open up" again. We booked a one night stay with the wine touring package. We spent the day touring Keuka Lake prior to checking in. When we arrived at 4:30 our rooms were ready, the coupons, bottle of wine and wine glasses that we were promised were in our room waiting for us. Megan checked us in, informed us of the rewards program (which we joined) and made sure we were aware of any amenities available to us. We sat out front on the patio and relaxed with one of the beers we had purchased during the day then walked down the street for dinner. When we returned we made a fire and relaxed by the fire-pit (they supplied the wood) to enjoy our complimentary bottle of wine. My only disappointment was that we ordered dry white wine - the wine we received was "described" as a semi dry but it was pretty sweet. In the morning we took a walk on the beautiful Keuka Outlet Trail (picked up the trail only a 2 minute walk from the hotel). The Outlet Trail is an amazing place to walk or bike (saw 3 big turtles during our walk) with lots of shade and lovely views. Afterwards we returned to the hotel, grabbed breakfast and check out for the day to enjoy the winery coupons we received. Coupons were for wineries on both Keuka and Seneca Lakes. I can't say enough good about the hotel, the package we received and Penn Yan in general. We'll definitely go back and stay at this hotel.
Wonderful staff from every shift! The stay was enjoyable for me and my kids. Loved the pool and hot tub area, clean and well kept as he rest of the hotel and super clean rooms, comfortable beds and sofa bed! Did their best to make our breakfast experience during the pandemic great! Most hotels would close that portion out or not offer as much or healthy breakfast on the go.
Yes you could stay in Geneva or in one of the myriad of Hotels on the ends of the main lakes but Penn Yan is still a big enough place to find plenty to eat and do after a hard day exploring the Wineries, the National/State Parks and the Beaches or just looking at all the property for sale from Cabins to Mansions. The hotel has the usual Amenities and looks well-kept, pool, hot tub but no Sauna or Steam Room or Games room for the kids. Breakfast is in the main Lobby and included in the rate, hot options are limited but available. Avoid peak times (given in a card in the room) - we went to breakfast and it was quiet, back to the room to grab our gear and by then the lobby was full of people looking for somewhere to sit and eat. Free Coffee and Cookies all day is a nice touch. There are various places to eat or snack nearby, mostly the likes of Bar/Restaurants and Pizza Hut level, but there is a nice place attached to one of the other hotels at the top end of the Keuka Lake that Penn Yan sits on. The drive to HammondsPort and the Aviation Museum is lovely. It said the room should have a safe on the web-site our Deluxe King didnt have one, but it did have lots of space, a comfortable sofa and other chairs.
We liked this hotel the rooms were clean and friendly staff. The room was clean but the hall ways needed to be vaccumed. The beds was horrible. I would hesitate to stay here again only because of the uncomfortable bed.
Great value and quality of services. Excellent location and amenities. The pool, hot tub, and plentiful breakfast made the visit for the six of us perfect. Thanks Best Western. We'll be back soon. Thank you.
I liked the stay at this establishment. It's quiet and the rooms are quite nice. Easy to use wifi. The downside is there was no bar (even though they have room for it) if you want to relax and sit for awhile with a drink before going to sleep. The breakfast buffet is marginal, i couldn't find milk and they don't have pitchers in house if you want drinking water brought up to you.
staff was excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Price was very reasonable. Great location for a wine tasting weekend with friends. Everyone commented on the quality of the accommodations. Easy walking to local restaurants.
We've been here many times to visit family in Dundee & Himrod. Location is Excellent. Hotel itself is very a Personable, Clean, comfortable & Modern. The Best things about this Hotel is pool & hot Tub. Fresh Made Cookies. Breakfast every morning. And Finally the beverage machine is 24/7. Cool. To bad it's not for wine also.
Staff at this hotel are great! Normally our stay is wonderful but on this occasion there was a children'event. So...breakfast food was picked at and a mess. No hot water, all gone, hot tub unavailable due to an overwhelming number of children, No internet. We are usually pretty easy going and always return to this hotel. It's a great location with terrific staff, accommodations and amenities are always well kept. Timing couldn't be worse. Thankfully the children's group only stayed the Friday, Saturday everything was back to normal. Finally had a shower with warm water and a fresh cookie. We just feel like we lost a day.
We stayed at the BW Vineyard for the holiday wine tour. Very pretty property, great staff! We had a suite and will book one again, we loved the amenities (kitchenette, vanity area, table, couch and more) in the suite. We will be back!
Hotel is in good location. Rooms are large and comfortable. It is near restaurants anda 6km trail. You can drive in 5 minutes to the top of the lake. There is a scenic restaurant at the Top of the Lake. Ask for rooms on the residential side of building.
Great staff! This was a great location. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again. There is much to do in the area such as wine tours, beer tours, etc. The staff could not have been better.
we have been staying at this best western since it was built. we love going there. it is a great relaxing atmosphere and the countryside is beautiful. we have friends that have a bulk food store/cafe in that area and we love visiting them. check it out. it is called Oak Hill Bulk.
This facility exceeded expectations. The Staff is at the top of their game and it shows all around. I had absolutely no issue and that is attributed to the attentive care/service of the staff. The next time I am in the area I know where I will be staying: Best Western Vineyard
You can't beat the price of this hotel I never stayed at a BW before but will check from now on to see if there is one where we are traveling to. This hotel is close to all the vineyards and Lake Ontario
This hotel is in Penn Yan - not a lot to do there but short drive to other areas. This hotel is excellent - rooms quiet, bed comfortable, temperature excellent and not noisy at all, very clean and all staff pleasant and helpful! Good restaurant in area is the Top of the Lake and a visit to the Corning Glass Museum is a must - another good one is the Museum of the Earth and we enjoyed the tour of the Rose Hill Mansion - lots of wineries to visit. Weather was not great during our stay hence a lot of indoor activities.
We first came hear as dog friendly and were amazed how new and clean this hotel is. We have always in the past “sacrificed quality while doing doggie trips” We were so impressed we came back without our dog to experience the same high quakity and cleanliness. The hotel staff makes a great effort to know you too and often baked cookies at a moment's notice just for us!! Great hotel and headquarters for the wine trail!
Clean decent hotel. Very friendly staff. Appreciated the fast response to some glitches in the stay. Room was clean and quiet. Appreciated the coupon for the free wine tasting at a local etablishment.
I have stayed at the Best Western in Penn Yan, NY several times. The staff and service I received has been very good to great. The rooms are nice, the breakfast is very good and I look forward to staying at Best Western again in the near future!
I've been coming here since the hotel opened many years ago and when it was the only chain hotel in town. The quality has kept on improving over time with an expanded breakfast menu, newly decorated public areas and rooms, and most important of all--excellent customer service. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable about places to eat around town. Will happily keep on coming!
My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Christine greeted us friendly and gave professional service. The breakfast was delicious and the eating area is kept very clean. The housekeeping was impeccable and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice relaxing getaway!
Loved this hotel for the price! It was close to many winery's. The breakfast was good. The rooms were nice and clean! Places to eat within walking distance. The staff was friendly. They had a pool I never got to use.
Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The front desk was very efficient and helpful when I needed to locate a service in town. Location is convenient to downtown shops and restaurants. Breakfast was good, though I would prefer scrambled eggs to egg patties. I would definitely stay here again. The only concern was the noise level. Easy to hear noise from the floor above and surrounding rooms.
Hotel was extremely clean. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of seating in the breakfast area. Breakfast menu items were quickly replenished what stock levels were low. Pool area was neat and clean as well as very organized. Pool was locked with room card access only to prevent young children from entering without an adult. .
Had an excellent time at the local wineries and Finger Lakes. Our accommodations were wonderful. The entire hotel staff was friendly, from the check in clerk, Nigel, to the cleaning staff. The breakfast was excellent, and the coffee was quite good. The hot tub provided a nice end to our busy days.
Love this hotel. They are extremely pet friendly and made our dogs feel welcome. The hotel is very clean and updated, and the staff was lovely. It seemed that they were happy we brought our pets, that it wasn't just an after thought. Those who don't have pets don't need to worry that the hotel isn't clean etc., it is. We'll be staying again.
Well maintained building, great service, and very pet friendly facility. Room had a nice King size bed, with a side TV viewing area, and a partition area between work/computer area and sleeping. Good air conditioner nice and quite. This location had a nice dog walking area behind the facility complete with a dogie center with bags and dump area. Breakfast area clean and well stocked, even had complementary local newspapers.
We enjoyed our getaway, everybody was kind and nice helpful. Rooms were clean and relaxing. We also enjoyed the hot tub and pool. The hotel was located in a great area with plenty to do close by. Relaxing
This hotel was recently remodeled and appears brand new! We stayed for just one night but will return. Breakfast was delicious, especially the bacon and coffee. It would be nice a little closer to the lake, but the price was great.
We've been to Penn Yan several times but this is the first time we've stayed at this BW. Have to say, it's one of the nicest BW we've ever stayed in and we've stayed in many. I don't know if this is a new hotel but it appeared to be. The bed was so comfortable with nice linens and the pillows were very nice. The decor was exceptional and it was very, very clean. Can't wait to go back!
We stayed here for 5 days in the Finger Lakes. The location is very convenient. Our room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. All the staff were friendly. We had a great stay and would certainly stay here again. My only suggestion would be more recycling containers. I didn't see any but could have missed them.
A very nice stay at the Best Western Labor Day Weekend. The staff were very helpful with any questions that were asked. I left something behind and it was mailed to me promptly. Very much appreciated.
The hotel is fairly new, rooms are spacious, we had a king and it also had a couch in the room. The hotel is very nice includes an average breakfast. The hotel is located in Penn Yan which is perfect for daily travel to the Finger Lakes.
We spent 2 nights at this amazing hotel and location staff was amazing. 5 stars to Brian and morgan!!! Clean, neat, from front desk to outside grounds being nicely manicured. Our room was impeccably clean. Even the breakfast area was kept neat during serving hours!
This hotel was clean and fresh! The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming. The cookies were waiting. I used the pool, the hot tub, and the fitness center and everything was working properly and tidy! The only thing you could add is a leave a book, take a book shelf. My family will be staying there again next time we are in town! Thank you for helping to make our mini-vacation so enjoyable!
We stayed in Penn Yan because of this newly renovated hotel that is pet friendly. Easy 20-30 minute commute to Watkins Glen and 40 minutes to Geneva. We stayed three nights and found our room squeaky clean. The beds were very comfortable and the room with a king bed very spacious. Very nice hotel. Wish we could stay longer. I give this hotel an A+ rating and highly recommend it.
If you are looking to take in all the Finger Lakes region has to offer, staying in Penn Yan is a great option and the Best Western Vineyard Inn is the top option in Penn Yan. The hotel does not have a lake view, but you are just a short walk away. The entire hotel is new and rooms are clean, spacious and well appointed. The continental breakfast is what you would expect but the hotel personnel works hard to keep it stocked. All staff were very courteous. Penn Yan is close to all Finger Lakes attractions. It is only a short drive to either Geneva, Hammondsport or Watkins Glen. Wineries on Keuka and Seneca Lakes are easily accessible. There are plenty of options to eat in and around Penn Yan. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed overnight on our way home to NYC after Niagara Falls and this hotel was listed as 21/2 stars but with more than 90% positive reviews. I'm so happy I chose reviews over stars. Best deal after wine country tour with a family of four adults and a dog. Clean( no carpet smell), quiet and lovely breakfast
Very nice BW in the Finger Lakes area. Clean room, nice pool and hot tub, good basic breakfast always replenished quickly. Good value based on other area hotels prices. Used BOOKING.COM to reserve. No additional charges on top of the BOOKING.COM payment. 2 of thew 3 nights the free WiFi was not working, this was caused by a severe storm that went through disrupting service in the area so not really their problem. When it worked it was very good. Front desk personnel were very courteous and helpful with recommendations about local dining and where to visit, would recommend this hotel.
Everything about this hotel was top notch, front desk service was friendly and attentive. Lobby and room was beautiful. Pool and breakfast area was great, good breakfast variety. Out of many Best Westerns we've stayed at, I like this one the best. Wish they could all be like this one!
Clean hotel, clean room. Very friendly staff and a beautiful area. Good local wineries and restaurants. Close to Watkins Glen and Seneca lake. Very pleasant experience. Will be back again for sure!!!!
Everything about the hotel was excellent. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was good and they offered a variety of gluten-free options upon request.
Nice looking exterior and interior. Parking OK and practically all spaces very close to elevator and our room. No problems with room (can't remember the last time I said this about any hotel). Small but adequate breakfast with area kept clean. Very accommodating staff.
You can usually find a "cheaper" hotel, but don't be fooled. The quality that you receive here far outweighs any savings from a budget hotel. The staff is amazing. I had a time sensitive document to print, sign and scan so that I could email it. The business center wasn't working properly but the manager had me forward the document to him so he could print it and then he scanned the signed copy and sent it to me so that I could make my deadline. That's just one example of the level of service that the staff at Vineyard Inn & Suites provides.
The hotel itself is quite nice - nice rooms, buffet breakfast, pool, ample parking and helpful staff. We used this hotel as a base for exploring the Finger Lakes wineries (mostly on Seneca Lake) and hikes. Watkins Glen is not to be missed. Penn Yan, however, is a small town with limited activities and very few restaurants. We found a nice restaurant a short drive away called Top of the Lake.
Was driving across country (SD to Boston) and we decided to stop in Penn Yan for the night. It is a very lovely little town with a ton of wineries around the lakes. The hotel was perfect with many restaurants a short walk from the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if I was coming back through the Finger Lakes region
I stayed here with my family for one night. I couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was immaculate. Our room was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable.
Beautiful hotel and well maintained. Decor is very chic and clean Recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Wine area of NY near the Finger Lakes Region This hotel is well worth the stay having luxury accommodations at a cost effective price
Excellent Hotel in nice location, food all around, Mc Donald, Dunking Donuts, Chinese. Plenty of activities to do. Boat ride, winery, water fall. The staff are great. Parking is convenient. Gym, swimming pool and hot tub.
Recently renovated and looks brand new! Was very impressed with hotel and staff. Beds comfortable, beautiful and comfortable lobby. Nice outdoor space with water fountain and another with fire pit. Breakfast is the usual fare with something for everyone but laid out very nicely in their beautiful lobby space. Within walking distance of quaint town center and easy drive to wineries, Watkins Glen or Geneva but not as hectic. We came to FLX years ago, stayed near Cayuga and drove thru Penn Yan on our way home and vowed to return. Was not disappointed and will definitely return.
Really really excellent best western! The room was very clean and had microwave and fridge, the breakfast was good, and the staff was extremely helpful and set up a small fire for us and provided us with smore materials! Pool and exercise room are also very nice (exercise room has a dedicated AC unit). Breanna was especially helpful and kind to us! Would definitely recommend.
We were traveling by motorcycle around the lakes. Due to some rainy weather, we arrived for our reservation super early. The staff couldn't have been kinder! Not only were we allowed to check in early, we were allowed to park under the covered area out front to help keep the bike dry! He hooked us up with the local taxi service so we could continue our afternoon despite the weather, and provided us a list of local eateries for dinner. (I'm so sorry I didn't catch the gentleman's name working at the desk, but a big thank you for all your help!) Our room was spacious, updated, and clean. Bathroom was small, but the cleanliness made up for the size in my opinion. This was our first trip to the Finger Lakes and we have already decided that we will return. This will be my first choice to stay at when we do. Thanks so much to all the staff that contributed to our great stay! PS the cookies really are good:)
The staff are friendly and professional. Courtney and Bob did a great job at check-in and check out. Bob and i forget her name gave us great ideas of places to eat. the room was clean and was nicely kept. the bathroom was small but plenty of hot water and great water pressure for shower. the breakfast was a continental breakfast .didn't use the fitness area or the pool.
This was our first time staying at a best Western. The hotel was extremely clean, the room was beautiful. It was ideally located right in the center of town. The staff was super nice and polite! My wife and I raved about how we've never been to a hotel with such a quick check in and check out. We will definitely be staying at best Westerns in our future trips!
The hotel has been refurbished. It is extemely clean and attractive. Location isn't my favorite ambiance wise but it is convenient to all the wineries, antique places and shops you want to go to. The small town isn't much to write home about but that isn't the main reason you stay here. If you are looking for a nice clean and friendly hotel between Kueka and Seneca Lakes this is an excellant choice
The hotel staff was very friendly, especially the breakfast attendant Lauren who was very attentive and always kept the food full and hot. The pool was well maintained and always stocked with towels. Great hotel, hope to return soon!
The Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites is a beautiful hotel and I would highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Finger Lakes. It is located at the top of Keuka Lake and a short drive from Seneca Lake. This is our second stay at this hotel and we plan to come back in 2020. The staff are incredibly friendly and accomodating. Christian is an amazing asset to the Best Western and one of the reasons we returned to this location in the Finger Lakes. He remembered our likes/dislikes from our last stay, made suggestions on places to visit and dine and checked in with us to ensure our stay was perfect. The other front desk staff were all wonderful and friendly. The cleaning staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay and had everything we needed. The various breakfast options were wonderful. The suggested timeframe to go to breakfast were very helpful to ensure you missed the large crowd.
Everyone at Best Western were friendly and ready to help in any way they could. i was on the first floor in room 121 which met my needs. . The housekeeping staff that I had the most contact were Sue and Laurie. Those girls are wonderful. The desk clerks and management were always willing to help if i need assistance.
The hotel was very well maintained. From the outside grounds, to the interior lobby and our suite, everything was clean and orderly. The staff was very knowledgeable and offered information and tips about the surrounding area. The room was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.
Clean room. Perfect for staying nearby Keuka Lake wineries. Full breakfast every morning. Would definitely stay here again. They even gave us a complimentary wine tasting at Keuka Spring Vineyard. Also within walking distance to Penn Yan restaurants and bars.
Just did a quick overnight in the area to visit wineries for a friend's birthday. We have stayed in Geneva and Watkins Glen and homes along Seneca Lake but just needed something central and relatively inexpensive - Best Western Vineyard worked perfectly! The hotel was about 30 minutes to Geneva, Watkins Glen, Hammondsport, and some of our favorite wineries on Seneca and Keuka Lake. Walking in we were greeted warmly, checked in quickly, and in our rooms without much fuss. My king room was larger than I expected with a nice sitting area (full size couch/table/chair) and had a fridge/microwave for convenience. Bathroom just seemed a tad small compared to the room but that's ok. Room was so silent and spotless I thought I was the only one in the place! I never heard a door slam or anyone through the walls which was wonderful and allowed for some great sleep. We all spent time in our friend's suite and that room was massive with a full living area and larger wet bar. You can't go wrong with any room type here. If you are a Best Western Rewards member, nice little treat at check-in included two bottles of water and some snacks. Breakfast was plentiful, hot, and hit the spot. Because it was Mother's Day, the front desk was giving out carnations which was a nice touch. Lobby was fresh and clean and newly renovated. Everyone I interacted with on the staff was kind, personable, and wanted to be sure your stay was more than satisfactory. Totally keeping this hotel in mind for future visits as it was a perfect location and comfortable.
The front desk team Friday night Saturday and was SO accommodating. I had a sick roommate and they let me change rooms. I was using two credit cards for two different nights. One was tax exempt they figured it all out and could not have been nicer. They deserve some recognition.
We came here for the first time for our twenty sixth wedding anniversary. Never been to the finger lakes before. Every one at this hotel was so nice and our stay was awesome. When we left Sunday the girl working at the desk was cleaning up breakfast but offered to get us anything that she had put away already. Your banana nut muffins are the best so very moist. We will come back again and stay at your hotel.
This is our third stay (and third anniversary!). Everyone is always so courteous and helpful. Love the remodel that was done. Big thank you to Courtney & Christian for helping my husband with the anniversary surprise!
We have stayed 8 - 9 times at the Penn Yan Best Western Plus. Without exception staff have been knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. From breakfast in the AM to cookies in the PM the is great. The recent lobby remodel and room refreshing are added pluses.
The whole place was renovated so now they have great beds, a beautiful new lobby, upgraded breakfast experience and the staff was so friendly and helpful! I know this sounds like too glowing a review, but I just stayed in a BW plus in California the night before and the difference was night and day. They did it right in Penn Yan.
We walked in with our dog and no reservation. We were lucky enough to meet Christian!! He found us a great first floor room right near the door so it would be easy to take the dog outside. The room was perect! Every staff member we met was wonderful! Newly remodeled rooms. Great hotel - great service!! Thank you!!
Had a wonderful overnight stay while in town for a meeting in Penn Yan. The front desk clerk Alex was very helpful at check-in and made a nice suggestion for dinner. The newly remodeled room was very inviting and comfortable after a long day. Breakfast the next morning was very pleasant in the spacious front lobby and Breanna the front desk clerk was spot on in making sure that I was set with everything that I needed.
This hotel was above my expectation! The clerk was professional, kind and was eager to answer questions about the area and nearby activities. The room was HUGE, and clean! Breakfast was phenomeal, so many options to choose from, including hot eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns, so delicious! And the price was just unbeatable, got so much bang for your buck! Would definitely recommend!!
My husband and I spent one night here on our way home from a week in upstate New York. The reception area was being renovated so we could not use the main entrance but another door was marked well so you knew where to go in. It appeared that the second floor where our room was located has already been updated. Our room was large, clean, bed and bedding were comfortable. There is a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker provided in the room. I used my Best Western Rewards card and received a great price for the room, definitely a great value. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We stayed here for two nights during a business trip. Most people come to the Finger Lakes in summer, but we were here in early March, so our experience may be different than the average. The hotel has been renovated in recent years, and the rooms are quite large. Everything in the room was adequate, with a sitting area and couch in addition to the sleeping area. The breakfast was fine. The first morning, a college volleyball team was staying there and seemed to overwhelm the breakfast staff. Many of the items ran out quickly. I went up for potatoes several times, but they were always gone. The second morning, there were fewer guests, and food was plentiful. Seating is a little limited during breakfast. Employees were friendly. We asked about coupons for wine tastings, and were provided with free tasting coupons for about five local wineries. This was out of season, of course, so I wouldn't count on that in the summer or fall. They gave us a reasonable dinner recommendation and had lots of information about local attractions. The price for our stay was very reasonable, but likely goes up substantially during the high season. Hotel is across the river from downtown, but only a five minute walk away. I recommend the Best Western if you are visiting the Finger Lakes.
We were attending a funeral and had the extended family all in the same hotel. The staff was very plesent and very accomodating. The breakfast was good and varied. The rooms were newly renovated and very clean. If in the area again I would absolutely stay here.
Room was clean, staff was super friendly, and complimentary breakfast was real eggs, bread items and fresh fruit! Best of all, it is PET FRIENDLY! When you check in, your pet receives a welcome kit... tennis ball and treats!
This hotel was one of the neater cleaner Best Westerns I've seen in a long time. It even smelled like it had just been recently renovated. The price was certainly right also, although I went in the off-season.
Great place. Pool and spa were nice and clean. Our room was newly renovated and it was beautiful. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was yummy. Liked the amenities. We got our elite perks of water and snack. Great to have coffee 24/7 as well.
Its a functional and clean hotel with a hot pool next to the lobby. Breakfast was self service - not fantastic but enough - they have a waffle and pancake machine which the kids loved. Rooms were clean and a bit jadded but no complains. We stayed here as a "mid pointish" destination from NYC to Niagara Falls and enjoyed real american rural town. People were friendly and warm. There is a 24 housr Baskin Bobbin in front and also a 24 hr supermarket 100m away. Great stay for our resons.
Unbeatable price in a prime location within the heart of the Finger Lakes Region. Perfect place to stay for exploring Keuka and Seneca Lakes! No more than a 30 minute drive to anything on Keuka and anything on the western side of Seneca. It is nice and quiet, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the lobby is a great place to meet some fellow travelers!
The Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites is my go-to hotel when I'm visiting the Finger Lakes. The hotel is conveniently located in Penn Yan, NY. I travel to Penn Yan twice a year on business. I am welcomed as a returning guest. I always find my room clean and spacious. The wifi is good. The fitness room is well set up. I always find plenty of good food at the breakfast bar. The staff are accommodating and friendly. On a recent visit, I left an overnight bag behind. Deanna Ross of Guest Services contacted me the next day and arranged to have it sent to me. This was above and beyond expectations! I am so impressed with this "extra mile" service, I cannot say enough about the fabulous staff!
OUr Stay was wonderful all the way around - clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff. Check in process was quick, cookies in the front lobby were delicious. Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment to the quality of the food.
Stayed in the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Yan, NY for four nights. Very nice hotel, great accommodations, very professional and helpful staff. Very comfortable and spacious room. Very convenient location for visiting the vineyards in and around Keuka Lake.
This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff was great. Recommend this hotel if staying in the area. It has a indoor pool and gym. Close to restaurants and downtown night life.
Hotel is located in the heart of PennYan. Staff is very accommodating. Good morning breakfast. Rooms clean and spacious. Rooms did not have USB port for charging (Hint there is one port on the side of the TV)
The only discordant note about this hotel was the cleanliness of the carpeting in the public areas. Many ,many large stains in all of the carpeting in the hallways and especially the carpeting leading from the lobby to the rooms. It wasn't simply one dirty area; the entire carpet looked filthy. But our room, including the carpet, was spotlessly clean. Odd that it was only the public area. All the staff we encountered were professional and helpful. We would stay here again, this issue didn't affect our stay.
This is our second visit to this location. The hotel staff is welcoming and pleasant. Very helpful. Hotel decor is cozy and comfortable.and exceeds other similar hotels. Rooms are larger and more spacious than usual hotel room. Nicely appointed. Lobby and outside sitting areas are really nice and comfortable. Room rates were terrific but we were all rewards IGH members.
Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Was in town for a wedding and was not sure what to expect. But all amenities were great, the room was excellent, my only complaint was the bed, just a little too firm for me.
This was a very nice hotel. We were in a great large room. Staff very nice. Location was fine. We are stayed in different locations throughout the finger lakes and this hotel was especially nice and great value.
Overall great experience. I will be booking my next stay here again. Courteous & professional staff. Room was clean & inviting. It was my home away from home. Upon arrival, I was allowed an early check in. Room was ready. I was given helpful information, maps, suggestions & help on where to visit, dine, etc.
We stayed at Best Western Vineyard Inn for one night and will definitely stay again when we are in the area. Our room had a double sided electric fireplace with one side facing the king bed, and the other side facing a couch. There was a small desk area separated from the room by a dividing wall. We also had a mini fridge and microwave. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable with nice linen. We didn't use the pool, hot tub or gym, but they appeared to be very nice and clean. Breakfast was the typical Best Western breakfast which has a good hot and cold buffet style selection, served in the lobby from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. All staff we encountered were very friendly and polite.
I had a good evening and pleasant morning experience. I couldn't expect more from a hotel at this price. Easy in and out. Readily accessible from the street. I will definitely consider coming back when I'm in the area.
The employees at the Best Western/Hilton are always helpful and positive, willing to accommodate and provide great service. The rooms are always clean and comfortable! There are always breakfast choices available and employees are knowledgeable about the area.
My wife and I were planning a quick trip to Watkins Glen and wanted a place to stay overnight. From the reviews we decided to try this Best Western and were very glad we did. We hiked the Glen in the morning and then drove up to the hotel stopping at some wineries along the way. The hotel is conveniently located and we were met by the very friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool/spa after the hike. There is a neat little brewery and some descent places for food and drinks right around the corner. They have an excellent Continental Buffet that is the perfect way to start out your day. We will definitely be back to stay on future trips.
We only stay at Best Western anymore. The service and accommodations are excellent and consistent throughout. The breakfast is a great feature and works well for large families with children. The whole family also loves the warm cookies every afternoon/eve!
We stayed at this BW for 3 nights while visiting wineries in the Finger Lakes. Our room, #219, has a view of a neighbor's yard; 2 very comfortable queen beds; table & 2 chairs; microwave, mini fridge. There is an indoor pool and fitness room. Breakfast is adequate (watch out for "rush hour"). The hotel could use a new toaster. The location is perfect for touring wineries especially along Seneca and Keuka Lakes.
We stayed at this hotel for 5days/4 nights. The pool & spa were closed after the first day. We were told it was a PH balancing problem. Our room was comfortable & clean. One problem: it was right next to the stairwell & we had to listen to people going up & down all day & night. It might not have been a problem if the room was laid out with the bed on the opposite wall, but who knows. The staff was friendly & our room was refreshed perfectly everyday.
Fantastic room, nice couch, and furnishings. The mattress was new and it was so nice to sleep on. Breakfast was great, with a good selection of eggs, fried potatoes, sausage, bagels, muffins, cold cereal, a variety of coffees, make-it-yourself waffles and pancakes, fresh fruit, and more. Great stay, super helpful, friendly staff.
What can I say...another great experience from check in to check out. A combination of business and pleasure capped off with a great staff ready and willing to make sure that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We look forward to our next visit and share our thanks with the amazing staff at Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites!!
Great stay close to Finger Lake Whineries! One night get-a-way with family. Staff friendly and hotel crisp & clean. From breakfast to pool area, staff surely focused on attention to detail. This hotel was well worth the money!
We have stayed in many similar hotels. We are in another one as I write this. This BW is attractive, very well maintained and clean. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The rooms are good sized etc. You can walk into town. The one very weak point was the mattress on our bed. It was the worst in memory We both slept badly and started our day in need of a good rest. The desk clerk looked like I was the first to ever mention this and he said he would report my comment.
We stayed with another couple for a trip to the wine country and chose Best Western for location, value, amenities. Breakfast was a nice feature with many choices and beverages in the lobby all day with cookies. Pool was very clean and maintained.
There were so many nice things about this Best Western! The lobby is inviting, the room was inviting. You can sit outside by a fire or fountain. Very relaxing. The employees really cared about making our experience a great one. It felt like home.
The hotel is very clean. The staff were very professional. The pool was clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast! We enjoyed the outside tables as well. No complaints. 1/2 hr to Watkins Glenn. Good location. Nice area.
Booked in for 1 night; stayed for 2. Great location for touring the Finger Lakes and all there is to see & do and the staff at this hotel made our holiday most enjoyable. Very helpful front-desk staff who gave great suggestions on places to see and near-by restaurants. They went above & beyond in meeting all our needs. Hotel offers all amenities a traveler could want and the staff will do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. We recommend this property to anyone wishing to visit The Finger Lakes.
We enjoyed staying in Penn Yan and enjoyed the Keauka Lake and Seneca Lake wineries. Much more quiet and relaxed than staying in Geneva. We were greeted with a very friendly desk attendant. We stayed in a king suite that was not much smaller than my apartment. The room was huge, beautiful and very clean. It was wonderful to have somewhere so nice to relax at after a day of traveling and winery hopping.
This motel is in a great location for visiting the Finger Lakes area of new York. It was a great base and had excellent eating places within walking distance. Stayed 2 nights and totally enjoyed the hotel and area.
We recently hosted family and friends at the BW for our daughter's wedding in Penn Yan NY. The service and hospitality at the Inn were beyond our expectations in every way. The staff, amenities, food and cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. Every one of our guests raved about their experience. Thank you Christian Wasson and the rest of your staff for making our experience so wonderful!
Possibly one of the nicest BW hotels I've ever stayed in. Great room, fantastic staff. Everyone there was pleasant and helpful. If ever in the area area, wouldn't think twice about booking this hotel. Staff went above and beyond.
Our family stayed one night for a weekend getaway to see Watkins Glen State Park. We booked last minute so this was the closest hotel we could get but it was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok. I guess the hotel is very small so the breakfast area is literally in the lobby. I was very impresssed with how clean the hotel was. This was the first time I saw that they actually cleaned the TV remote controls. I usually wipe their with clorox wipes (bit of a germ freak after reading articles) but their remote was packaged with a label reading "fresh remote". Staff was very friendly. Nothing bad to say. I would recommend if you need a hotel in this area.
Stayed at this hotel for work. It was a nice location and very clean. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. My work truck was too big for most of the parking lot, the manager was very kind to allow me to park in the back without blocking all the parking.
I had a reservation at this hotel for August 2018 but had to cancel due to them being misleading about their pet policy. They have that they're "pet friendly" but when I called about a special request I had for a particular room I was told under no conditions would a cat be permitted. I spoke with the manager on July 15 about this, which is less than a month from my vacation. He was rude & inconsiderate. I could tell that he either had me on speaker phone or he set the phone down while I was speaking to him. If I hadn't called about a room preference evidently I would've been told when I showed up for check in with my cat on August 13 that I wasn't allowed to stay there with a cat. This type of behavior is very DECEPTIVE & could've left me with no place to stay.
It is what it says it is a Best Western. It is clean, relatively comfortable and the staff seemed very good. They have breakfast with do it yourself waffles and other stuff. It is not on the lake, it is not near a vineyard, it is just on an intersection in town. It is fine if all you want is a motel room to sleep in and watch TV. We got an extra night when our B&B was full.
This has been our fourth time staying at the Best Western Plus in Penn Yan. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very pleasant. They have a decent continental style breakfast that is great for those of us who like to get an early start on the road. The location is what we appreciate the most since we enjoy visiting Keuka Lake as well as Seneca Lake. You can't go wrong staying at this place!
A great hotel and room close enough to Finger Lakes. Room and Hotel are very clean with good quality linens, fixtures and electronics. Pool, hot tub and fitness centre are great touches. Parking is plentiful, safe and within close proximity to entrances. Staff is courteous and well trained. They really care about your stay, so special requests are accommodated easily. Pricing was great, $100/nt weekend rate with breakfast. Didn't hear any hallway noise or room doors/exit doors closing etc and more importantly the people in the hallway couldn't hear us. Management has done very well at this hotel. They deserve to be commended.
Spent 3 nights at the Best Western in Penn Yan on a trip to the Finger Lakes. The hotel is very nice, with larger than average rooms. Our room had a seating area and desk sectioned off from where the bed was located. There was a two-sided fireplace in the room, though we didn't use it as the temperature was in the mid-90s F. The hotel offered a pool, exercise room and a business nook with two desktop computers. Even though our room was beside the ice machine area we rarely heard anything. The room was quite quiet at night. The entire hotel is non-smoking. The breakfast is the standard that you'd get at a Best Western - eggs, sausage and potatoes in the hot tray, muffins, various breads and cereal in the cold area. You can also make waffles if you wanted to. Nice brekkie and the breakfast area is kept very clean. We had one incident with our room not being cleaned despite the fact we left the hotel at 9 AM and didn't return until 5 PM. We called the front desk and were informed the housekeeping staff had left for the day. They did offer fresh towels and when they brought them they took away our used towels. The other thing that was a bit bothersome was the loud fan in the bathroom. It turned on with the lights and was deafening.
This hotel is wonderful. Reasonably priced, clean, beautiful, friendly staff, great location to visit Seneca and Keuka Lake. Dylan at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great selection. Pool area was kept very clean. Absolutely zero complaints about our stay here.
I have visited this Best Western many times. The rooms are spacious, the pool is great, and the staff is fantastic. The cost is reasonable - giving a great value. I highly recommend this Best Western..
Rooms were $211 per night including taxes Rooms decent but a $120 nite hotel Rooms are definitely not soundproof Would not stay there again because of pricing. This is a little town in the middle of nowhere and does not just study a big city price
Megan Cocola and her excellent staff provided us with a wonderful experience. The hotel was scrupulously clean and very well maintained. The rooms were spacious and the beds felt like they were brand new. I really liked the fire pit on the property along with the pool. The morning breakfast had a great selection, the waffle and pancake irons were a really nice touch. As I mentioned before about the staff, They were remarkable. On the spot with anything I had needed and this being done with a smile and a genuine desire to please. All in all, I would give this hotel a 10 out of 10. Well Done!
Rooms were great, staff was the best! Stayed for 2 consecutive nights....a Saturday and Sunday. Came as a group of 48 people, we had many rooms. EVERYONE in the group was happy with the accommodations. Worked with Megan the manager with the arrangements, she went above and beyond to fulfill our expectations. Upon arrival we were greeted by manager Christian (Baby Face). Our rooms were great, the breakfast was nice, pool area was nice, some used the fitness room. Whether you are coming as a group, family or couple, Best Western Vineyard Inn and Suites is the place to stay! We visited several wineries in the area as well as the Windmill Outdoor Market.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel more than any other hotel due to the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room...we received an upgrade for our room due to the unavailability of our room when we arrived at the hotel...our pet was welcomed which was very important to us...we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
This Hotel rivals 5 star resorts in both comfort and service. Just a fabulous place to stay. You won't find finer accommodations anywhere near here, especially for the price. Brand new comfortable beds, thirsty towels, crisp linens, comfy pillows, its all here. Breakfast is great too, with fresh fruits, eggs, sausage or bacon, and waffles that you pour and bake yourself!
We stayed at Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Yan, NY and I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you are planning to visit Finger Lakes. Not only is the hotel clean & offer everything you need, but the staff is friendly & helpful. The hotel is close to many wineries & the Lakes and we loved the fitness room & pool! This will be our new
freshly made every afternoon until gone. My husband and I took a vacation to upstate NY. For some reason he decided we should stay in Penn Yan. I am so glad we did. We haven't been away from home in a number of year, this was just a place to be. Not much to see in town but the hotel was great- pool, fitness center, fresh cooked breakfast, freshly baked cookies every afternoon until they are all gone, assistance in getting my act together, cooperative housekeeping staff,, I couldn't find a single thing wrong.
My husband and I were traveling with our son and dog. When we pulled up to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised the building is in pristine condition. Beautiful inside and out. Rooms immaculate, pool and hot tub clean and inviting! Staff was courteous and extremely helpful suggesting things for my son and I to do while my husband was with the dog testing. Breakfast was lovely mixture of hot cold items, including a Belgian waffle making station. Christian the manager went above and beyond to accommodate us! I would recommend this place 100% if you're in the area!!
Excellent Hotel and Location. Room was quite lovely and clean (better then just clean) Breakfast was better then expected as food was hot and displayed nicely. Staff was caring and helpful. Truly a hotel worth spending the night at. Cost effective and in a quiet area.
Very new hotel in Penn Yan New York. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pet friendly was a +++! Making the reservation with Logan was seamless. Courtney answered all my questions beforehand. Christian was very welcoming and friendly upon arrival. He even gave us a doggie goodie bag. Room was spotless. Bed was super comfortable. Wi-Fi was very fast. Pool area extremely clean. Jacuzzi large and hot. Breakfast good selection and constantly being replenished. Wineries wear a short distance away. Would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat.
We have never stayed at Best Westerns as they were perceived to be not our style. Boy did this one surpass our expectations. Christian was extremely helpful in providing details about local Wineries. The complimentary breakfast was perfect as well. The hotel was immaculate and very much updated. We will stay here again.
Friendly staff, very clean and affordable. Our boys enjoyed the pool. The breakfast included with our stay offered a variety of hot and cold foods that were fresh. I would definitely consider staying here in the future.
I have stayed at the Vineyard Inn and Suites three different times now. I am consistently impressed at...well, everything. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are really nice, with comfortable beds and affordable pricing. We stayed twice during "off-season" and once in the peak season, and we got great rates every time. In fact, one time we got a discount for I don't even remember what. Recently I booked a block of rooms there for a private event, and I contacted the manager via email and phone and he was so incredibly kind and helpful. I told him I had one couple who were really really tight on money and could only spend $X and he got them a room for that rate. The breakfast is also the best i've ever had in a hotel (i've stayed in hotels more times than I can tell you, all over the country). As my title suggests, I have nothing bad to say. Book your room now; you won't regret it.
I've had the opportunity to stay in one of the best if not the best affordable hotel experience in all of the Finger Lakes. After researching for a weekend stay in the finger lakes region, I discovered this Best Western was very highly rated. I couldn't agree more with all of the other positive reveiws. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly and informative. Even the complimentary breakfast was good. My only regret was that we did not bring our swimwear for the pool and hot tub. We will return here in the future.
My husband and I were scheduled to stay at the Best Western the Saturday/Sunday of Easter weekend. I became very ill with the flu and was unable to go. A few days later I received a Get Well Card in the mail from the staff at the Best Western. In all my years of travel for work and pleasure I have never received a note when I cancelled a reservation! I will definitely be staying at this hotel the next time I visit Penn Yan!
Excellent stay, Clean, comfortable, great breakfast options, not overcrowded rooms, microwave and frig. all the comforts of home. Beds were comfortable, staff was great. Will be returning to Penn Yan in future and will definitely stay at BW. Very pleasant experience.
Thank you again! My wife and I and our two children really enjoyed our stay here. It is run very well and the location is perfect for exploring the finger lakes region. Many of the stores and restaurants are within walking distance to the hotel.
We stayed for two nights and had an amazing stay. The hotel is beautiful, clean and offers all the amenities you need during a trip. The staff was super friendly and the location was perfect. I felt like I was home.
Congratulations to management - they have hired and/or trained an entire staff to be professional, yet friendly - attentive but not intrusive, knowledgeable but not boastful. Obviously we were impressed by the staff, and breakfast, but probably would not have visited without the discount offer from Best Western Rewards. (no I don't work for them, just feeling fortunate to have stumbled on to the place)
Excellent value for the price of a weekday stay during the off-season. Highly recommend to anyone traveling the FLX. Facilities, especially the pool and hot tub, were well kept. Breakfast had good variety. Certainly merits an excellent rating.
I spend a lot of time in hotels for my job and to me it's important to have some place that is clean comfortable and very workable. This place is it and should receive five stars and staff the same rating.
We stayed here for one night so that the Grandkids could swim over Feb. break. The rooms were clean and spacious, the pool was warm and the hot tub was warm and sudsy. The boys had a lot of fun using both the pool and hot tub. The breakfast was very good as well.
Very clean, nice pool and exercise area. Caring staff. Comfortable and spacious rooms. Rated a four because we are treat d to guest noise every visit. This visit it was kids running up and Dow the halls later at night unsupervised.
Understand this isn't in the biggest tourist trap/destination but for an overnight "getaway"or if you are exploring the finger lakes (Keuka Lake) this is the place to stay.Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Hotel overall is very clean and well maintained. Pool and hot tub are more than adequate. Would definitely stay when back i the area.
Very clean hotel and room. The staff was very helpful and attentive, especially since we were having an issue with our room key sensor. Breakfast was more than expected for a continental and the desk clerk kept on top of making sure it was fully stocked. The coffee was great! Will stay again!
Nice clean hotel with newish furniture and great helpful staff. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. Morning breakfast was top notch for comp breakfast in a hotel. From this hotel you are 10 min walk from Penn Yan town center where the restaurants/bars/stores are. Nice small town with enough selections to not make you want to drive to get to a restaurant. Walk from hotel is nice since you just have to crossthe street and then you walk along a rail trail next to a small river and cross a bridge to get to town without walking on side of road with cars. Location is decent in terms of Finger lakes for bike riding on above mentioned trail over to larger lake. For us being hikers and not wine drinkers we quickly became bored after a few days and left early, though not due to quality/service of hotel and staff.
We travel to the Penn Yan NY area one or two times a year to visit family. We have always stayed at the Best Western Vineyard and have always found it to be well kept and very clean. Lately we have stayed in the king suites and have enjoyed these rooms very much. Roomy is an understatement as they are at least half again as large as a large single room often having fireplaces and large screen tvs as well as a sofabed and other furnishings not found in the usual hotel room. We also enjoy the other amenities such as free hot breakfast consisting of eggs, sausage, home fries, and waffles freshly made. The other items are fruit, bagels, cereals and a variety of juices. We also enjoy the USA Today and local papers made available. The people at this BW are top notch as well. We have always arrived to a cheerful welcome and excellent front desk service and a quick check out when departing. The housekeepers were always quick to replace towels or amenities if we ran out and did so cheerfully. Truth be told we've never seen the manager because things have always gone so smoothly. We highly recommend this property when people are in the area of the finger lakes or Penn Yann in particular.
Loved my stay in this quiet little village with good shopping and hotel was such a relaxing and beautiful place. Loved the breakfast and used the hot tub. My grandson used the pool a couple times and water was perfect.
From start to finish we are happy customers! My husband is disabled and their facility met all of our needs! When I requested more detailed information the manager, Megan Cocola even sent me photos to show in detail the bathroom and how it is designed specifically to meet the needs of a disabled person. I loved the little extras that even included a small sewing kit! The breakfast area was tidy and refilled as needed. They even provided fresh afternoon cookies/danish. My husband was able to use his little scooter with ample space to navigate. The staff was friendly and professional. Any time we visit Penn Yan we will look forward to Room 118 and the amazing staff there to greet and take care of us. Thank you!
We were here one night while in town for a wedding at a winery. Clean, quick check in. Rooms were perfect for our needs with a small fridge and microwave. Very generous breakfast complementary. would definitely stay again if we were in the area.
The Best Western in Penn Yann was a great place to stay, the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful . Very clean and centrally located to the wineries. They recommended great places to eat and see, I would highly recommend staying at this Best Western.
Great location to wineries. Rooms are nice size, hotel pool and hot tub are great. Breakfast was very nice spread. Room had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Hotel has great suggestions for local delivery meals.
This hotel is well situated for touring the Finger Lakes. It is close many lakes, wineries, craft brewers and other attractions. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. As an added bonus, they serve warm cookies in the lobby each afternoon. It is a short walk to the downtown of Penn Yan and there are several reasonable restaurants to choose.
We have stayed at this Best Western multiple times, while visiting the Finger Lakes, & each time its like "coming home" to us!! We love EVERY aspect of this hotel, & always look forward to returning. Ladies - they have Bath & Body amenities in the bathrooms - LOVE IT!! And the complimentary breakfast beats any other hotel we've stayed at.
My husband and I stayed for 2 night during the week. We asked for a quiet room on the top floor and that is what we got. Very pleasant, clean, quiet room. We got a very good deal from their website. It walkable to the town, but not on the lake.
My wife and I travel to upstate NY every year at about the same time - beginning of November, to hike some trails, do wine tasting, and stock up on wine till next year. This hotel is an excellent value for the money. The hotel is in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine country - a very convenient location. Easily accessible. Large comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. Friendly staff. Will definitely come next year.
Hotel location very convenient. Restaurants, wineries, shopping, and Finger Lakes nearby. Staff very helpful. Breakfast provided enough options to provide a good start to the day. Appreciated the well appointed room.
My husband & myself, along with 3 other couples stayed one night while touring wineries in the area. The hotel was conveniently located with many wineries within a few miles. Found a great place for dinner nearby & enjoyed breakfast in the AM at our hotel. Our room was immaculate & we had one of the most comfy beds I've ever slept in!
A clean, appealing room. Beds were very comfortable. Was pleasantly surprised that the continental breakfast included eggs, potatoes and sausage. The scenery nearby was beautiful.Hope to return to the area soon.
Nice clean place to stay. Employees are friendly and helpful. Room were very clean and ready. Pool and sauna were nice and relaxing. Morning breakfast had a very good selection and was hot. Our overall recommendation is that we would stay here again.
Very nice hotel. We were a group of 11 visiting for a long weekend to go wine tasting in the area. Greeted upon arrival bu a very friendly gentleman, was proved a goodie bag that had some snacks and water bottles for us. King room was very nice with sitting area. Morning breakfast provided was adequate.Would visit again when in the area.
Nice big room on second floor room 221. However no shelves in shower to hold personal shampoo etc. Had to lay them on floor of shower. Opening door with keycard did not work first time every time. Breakfast was not very good except for the bread, yogurt, cereal. Eggs, sausage, potatoes were not very hot. Wi-Fi kept cutting out and probably since we were on end of second floor far away from front desk and router location. Sitting in lobby seemed to work better for wi-fi. Service people were nice and parking was okay.
The Best Western in PenYann, NY is great place to stay as it is's central location is near the many attractions in the area. Hotel staff is always friendly and professional and breakfast is included. Wineries, antique shops and local crafts and specialities are at your finger tip as well as beautiful Keuka Lake (my favorite of the the Finger Lakes).
My go to hotel; has been for several years; terrific staff helpful and courteous. Delicious breakfast; very accommodating, Front desk staff and housekeepers are very welcoming and you'll feel right at home quickly. Whatever the request, they helped out in diverse ways. EX: I need a store to purchase X, great restaurant recommendations, need to check out later, need a corkscrew for just purchased wine etc. Love the personnel, the atmosphere and the whole experience..
Over sized room, with gas fireplace. Nice touch. In the area for a family wedding. Conveniently located to lakes and vineyards. Staff professional and friendly. Road traffic noise noticeable. Would stay at this property again
This hotel has a welcoming lobby with an attractive sitting area with a fireplace. The breakfast area is large and comfortable. The room and the beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a good location.
I stayed last weekend and was quite surprised by how nice the hotel was. Clean, quiet and easy access to food and some shops. The breakfast buffet was included and had a nice selection. The first morning we got slim pickings as a family literally took 3 plates full each and left next to nothing. It was replenished of course but still unreal. We decorated the room for my friends birthday and the housekeeper left a sweet birthday note. We loved the fire pit and enjoyed a quiet night with some wine. I would def stay here again.
My husband and I enjoyed a two night break in a lovely hotel. I stayed there 4 years ago with my mother and we were impressed. This time the staff were different (friendly although not as amazing as last time), and the room was a bit noisy with the furnace fan going in the next room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay - especially the coffee and the hot tub.
We truly enjoyed our stay at this Best Western Hotel. It was very clean, convenient, provided what we needed and the staff was friendly and professional. We have no doubt that we would stay there again.
My wife and I recently visited the Finger Lakes area and stayed for several days at this hotel. Our plan was to explore the area around Keuka Lake and the Southwest portion of Seneca Lake. This hotel was located in a place that gave us good access to these areas. Our room was clean and comfortable, although we did have some problems with the card-key (this was brought to the attention of the front desk and manager). The parking was free, and the hotel was also close to a few restaurants and a supermarket. The front desk was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was the typical fare for a Best Western with both hot and cold items. We would like to give a shout out to the lady who serviced the breakfast area (believe it was Lori) who was very friendly, engaging, and helpful, not just for us, but for several other guests as well. She was a good representative for the company!
My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the Penn Yann Best Western. Their wine package was enough to keep us busy for the night we stayed. The staff was friendly. The accommodations clean, quiet and comfortable.
beautiful hotel but bed was extremely hard ..an the ice machine an vending machines we next to our room which kept my husband awake .. orther then that the room was great an clean the breakfast was amazing also .i recommend a pillow top or an new bed
Being a Harley Davidson owner, I try to stay at Best Westerns while traveling on my bike. On a trip to Niagara Falls, I stayed at this lovely hotel in Penn Yan, NY. The building and the rooms were decidedly better than any other Best Western that I have stayed in for some time. The staff was prompt and most helpful in pointing me towards a great place for dinner. When in the area, the place to stay.
Hotel is absolutely beautiful! Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was very enjoyable with a vast amount of selections. A special perk was the hot tub that me and my husband enjoyed after a day of touring the wineries. Hotel is very close to Seneca Lake (5 miles across route 54). We'll definitely return!!!!
Very nice rooms, great breakfast. Pool and hot tub very clean. Great customer service. Close to wineries in the Finger Lakes region. We have been going there for 10 years and always satisfied. Thank you
it was wonderful. we love the area and it is like going home to me. we try to go at least 2 times a year to penn yan ny. wonderful hotel and wonderful people who work there. we would recommend it to everyone. if you have the opportunity to stay in penn yan ny please do so. the area is so relaxing and the hotel is relaxing also.
We wanted to tour Keuka Lake and some of the wineries and breweries. This was a great place to stay. Nice pool and hot tub, great breakfast, very nice room and only a short walk from down town restaurants. Would stay here again when in the area!
Very friendly staff, very clean, great breakfast....Great location....Walking distant to restaurants and to the town and shops...Easy to get to Wineries and Breweries....Staff also gives suggestions to favorite Restaurants and anything else you may want to know..We enjoyed our stay even if it was just for nights..I would definitely stay here again.
A very central location for visiting the Finger Lakes region. We were two nights. The accommodation is comfortable and clean, the pool is warm and the hot tub is hot .. nice after a day of hiking. The breakfast was more than enough and enjoyable to start the day.
My husband and I stayed at The Best Western in Penn Yan so that we could be near Keuka Lake. The hotel was clean; the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was on the third floor and we thought it was very quiet. It was located in a convenient spot. It was easy to walk into town so we took a stroll to a restaurant instead of driving. The breakfast buffet was very nice and was included in the price of the room. Both my husband and I thought they had a good variety of food - hot and cold cereals, eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles, muffins etc. The coffee and juice machines were available 24 hours. We'd stay there again if in the area.
The Hotel was very nice. I have stayed in Best Westerns before and this beat all expectations. The hotel was very well maintained and the amenities were fantastic. The breakfast, which is included, was very good. I was there for a week and never had the same thing. Best of all is the coffee. The staff and service shined above everything else at this wonderful hotel. From how they helped with my luggage that was lost by the airline to the most friendly and accommodating service everyday during my week stay. I could not recommend a hotel higher!
Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Staff was friendly and helpful. Decent gym, pool and spa. The free breakfast is standard but coffee is good. Well situated for wine tasting. My only complaint is that the free wifi is weak and drops frequently. Not a huge issue for vacation but could be an issue for business travelers.
We spent two nights at this hotel and had a great stay. We had a king bed, so the room was spacious. Our second night we got pizza from Pizza Hut across the street, and brought it back to the room to eat. The hotel is quaint in its appearance. It is clean and has friendly staff. They do have a fire pit and chairs around it if a guest were so inclined to use it.
I have stayed at the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Yan, NY many times. It's clean, has friendly & knowledgeable staff, and it's pet friendly. I also feel very safe there. I just can't thank them enough.
This hotel was very clean and the staff was courteous and helpful. We had time to spend in the evening so my daughter and I played some of the games the hotel provides. I used the pool and the hot tub and both were clean and well kept. I enjoyed both.
Friendly and courteous staff. Very helpful. Answered questions and went over map of the area and how to get restaurants and points of attractions. Very clean Great indoor pool & Fitness center Great location for wineries and walking distance to restaurants. Uncomfortable mattress, but overall a great weekend stay.
I have always been happy with this hotel and staff. Very relaxing. Near Fingerlakes wine trails. I enjoy staying here every time I am in this area for business. Staff is very helpful. Beautiful suites!
My husband, daughter, and I recently returned from a visit to the Finger Lakes. We decided to stay in Penn Yan because it was conveniently located to other places we wanted to visit, and had its own interesting attractions. The hotel is in excellent condition. I don't know if it's new or just very well maintained. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Our housekeeper left an additional rubber duck with a note for our child, which was an unexpected lovely touch. The pool/hot tub area was clean & attractive. We enjoyed the included breakfast each day. The food was great and there was a huge selection. My only issue was the selection of mainly high-top two-seater tables, which posed a challenge for families, especially those with younger children. There were only two standard tables, each with three chairs. Otherwise, we thought this was great hotel and we would definitely recommend it and stay again.
Super clean, the friendliest staff in the area. Quiet and new rooms. We stayed overnight after a motorcycle trip to the Curtiss Museum and the Switzerland Inn. A perfect spot and I recommend them highly. Be sure to visit Hammondsport while in the area.
We were very pleased with the quality of this hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The pool area was clean and they kept the water at a nice warm temperature - plus there was a hot tub. The breakfast was good and continually replenished.
We loved our stay at The Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Yan, NY. It was an amazing experience from checking in to leaving. The employees were extremely welcoming, helped us with finding a great place to eat, and were always ready to provide us with complimentary items that we did not bring with us. We highly recommend this place!
Best Western was centrally located in the heart of Penn Yan. We were here for just a couple of days to see our daughter off to college and it was the ideal place to stay just minutes away from keuka. The hot breakfast buffet is great, well attended to by staff. The warm cookies every afternoon were a hit as well
This hotel was very nice and welcoming. The room was spacious, and included a couple of complimentary bottles of water. The big bonus, from my husband and my perspective, was the fresh baked cookies that were still warm when we checked in. As we've come to expect at Best Westerns, the breakfast was nice, with scrambled eggs and some kind of meat on the buffet every morning. This Best Western has the more modern style with an elevator and room doors on the interior of the building. I view this setup as far superior to the old motel style with room doors on the outside of the building. For Best Western rewards club members, they even pass out little goody bags at check-in, yet another plus. All in all, this was an excellent place to stay for the money.
A good scenic hotel location, it has clean rooms, very comfortable king beds, a good variety and assortment of morning breakfast foods and drinks, hot coffee, helpful friendly staff, at an affordable price.
Always stay at the Penn Yan Best Western Plus when we come to the Finger Lakes. Friendly and super accommodating staff. Home-made cookies in the lobby in the evening are a great touch. This is home base for our Finger Lakes wine tasting trips, 6 and counting.
Great stay in the Finger Lakes Region of New York!!! Had a great time in August exploring the region. Checking out the wineries. Enjoying the state parks and the lakes. Loved Watkins Glen. Such a quaint small town!
A beautiful hotel right in the middle of wine country! We really enjoyed the ease & simplicity of checking in. The breakfast was fantastic, too! The spacious rooms looked brand new & the free WiFi was faster than mine at home (always a bonus). Thank you for adding to a fantastic getaway with my husband.
This hotel is central to the beautiful Finger Lakes region in NY. The wineries are all around as are great restaurants and a peaceful and serene setting. The folks at the front desk were most helpful and accommodating. Especially appreciated was the daily tray of gluten free options they presented me at breakfast. Talk about great service! Will definitely stay here next trip.
I visited finger lake in June and stayed in this inn for 2 nights with friend. The room is very clean and spacious with even two queen beds. Lot of room for luggage. The location is nice. We had great time there.
Stayed 2 nights with 2 other couples and did 12 winery tastings in 2 days. Great coffee. Breakfast was good. Pool spa clean n hotel was in great shape. We sat outside around water rock fountain n opened wine before dinner. Very pleasant. Good place for dogs saw a lot of them and all well behaved but we did not have ours with us this trip. Will definitely return.
Took my wife on a working vacation and decided on Penn Yan on Lake Kueka. We had stayed on the other lakes before and really enjoyed the area. The Vineyard Inn and Suites is a beautiful hotel and the staff are great. My wife needs some assistance getting around and they made sure she was spoiled during our stay. They were very helpful in helping to select must see wineries and restaurants.
Great hotel. Room was sparkling clean and the sheets were not only spotless, but very soft and comfy! Bed was too firm for me, but I like a mattress soft as a cloud. The continental breakfast had the best coffee I've had in years.
Good location to famous wineries. This hotel is very cozy and clean. Breakfast was delicious.Employees are very kind and welcoming. Only thing feel sticky shall be space availability ...pool is small and parking lot is small too.
The hotel is located within easy walking distance of downtown Penn Yann. It's also a short walk to the Outlook Trail, which is a pleasant 2 mile trail alongside a picturesque creek. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were a good value for the price.
We rented 6 rooms for a family vacation including some suites. Everyone was happy with the accommodations - no complaints except some people thought the inside pool room was too hot and stuffy and pool was too small. More details: the desk staff were all friendly and helpful and professional in appearance with nice uniforms. Check-in was easy and we got some goody bags with bottled water and snacks for being rewards members. The lobby had a sofa and 3 places to sit so 6-7 people could sit and chat. There weren't many breakfast tables and some people either ate on the furniture or went outside where there are two seating areas. Rooms were very clean (and there are picky people in our family!) and had everything you can think of including fridge, micro, flat-screen TV, desk, coffee maker, and even free bottled water. The bathroom had more toiletries than I've seen in other Best Westerns (and I've been in quite a few) such as mouthwash, makeup remover, and sewing kit. Towels varied from fluffy to thin but there were plenty so you can use two. I thought the mattress was too firm but I say that about most hotels. There were 4 layers of linens on the bed - depending on your comfort level you can crank the A/C and sleep under blankets or keep the room more temperate and use a sheet or two. Pillows were thick and firm. The fitness room was small and had a treadmill with an ERROR message, so the electronics need fixing or replacing. Several people enjoyed the hot tub with jets and others got into the pool (which was small and shallow, great for kids but not for lap swimming). This hotel sits along a busy road so sitting outside isn't like being in a country inn. However, many people took advantage of the chairs and tables around a fountain. Further over there was a fire pit area surrounded by Adirondack-type low wooden chairs. Breakfast seemed small and crowded at first with everything along a wall, but once we got to looking around we found a better-than-usual selection including brand-name yogurt (Oikos and Dannon), different types of coffee and variety of creamers and sweeteners, two different waffle irons, a hot plate with eggs, sausage, bacon, and/or home fries, cereal, oatmeal, fresh sliced strawberries and blueberries, bananas/apples/oranges, and maybe best of all individually wrapped bakery muffins and banana bread (along with bread, bagels, and English muffins). Really nothing was missing and the staff kept the area stocked and clean. Most impressive of all was the great value for the price. The Finger Lakes area attracts a lot of tourists in the summer so hotel rates tend to be high. The BW+ website had great online rates and even a discount code. You can reserve rooms, check in online, and get express checkout. Definitely join the rewards program if you decide to stay here and collect some points and other perks. Highly recommended unless you need a full-service hotel with a restaurant or luxuries such as mints on the pillows.
You can't go wrong at this Best Western. Very dedicated staff and pleasant surroundings. The town of Penn Yan has some good restaurants and the lake is not far away. All you could want for a restful stay.
The staff were superb and the breakfast was amazing! On the downside, our bed was hard and creaky with a fitted sheet that didn't stay on the bed. The sofa bed had a bad odor that seeped into the room when you sat on it and the air conditioner stopped working every night at 1 am for 3 hours. We could deal with the odd clicking noise that came from a wall in our bathroom when a neighboring room used their water because it wasn't constant and it didn't wake our daughter. Overall, I'd stay there again should I ever want to visit Penn Yan because of the breakfast! Scrambled eggs and bacon, yogurt and breads. It was really more than the basic continental breakfast.
Staff at the hotel was very nice and extremely helpful! Our room was large and CLEAN - lots of room for us and our things. Great location close to everything. Very easy to get around the area. Perfect trip, would stay again.
Loved the hotel. So comfortable! The people that worked there were wonderful. It's in an easy location. Had everything you could possibly want. I will always go to a best western whenever I travel. It will be the first place I will look for.
Came here again on vacation with sister because we have stayed here for the past 4 years and had loved it. Not quite the same. It is okay but I think under new management. When the "new manager or owner"--not sure what he was showed up and very unhappy crabby look on his face the staff appeared a little stressed. If he can't be at the front desk with a pleasant smile maybe he should stay in the back area. Our room was missing a luggage rack and the 2nd day they never removed our soiled towels or gave us new supplies, had to go ask. They said housekeeping had left but they would take care of it--which they did. Don't feel you should have to go ask for this at any price. Yes, I do understand things can be overlooked. Other than that okay I guess. Just a different feeling here now.
This was part of a trip to a) the Finger Lakes and b) the Hudson Valley. One of our main goals was visiting the gorge at Watkins Glen. But Watkins Glen, at this time of the year is really overcrowded. We liked Penn Tab because it was centrally located --- not far from Watkins Glen, in the middle of wine country and bear a number of other things we wanted to see. The Best Western, located bear the northern shore if Keuka Lake, was perfect --- large comfortable room, easy parking, near plenty of restaurants in Penn Yan, typical Best Western buffet breakfast, excellent location. We were here for four nights. I would definitely stay here again
This hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff went out of their way to help and were always very courteous. My children loved the pool. I was very impressed that I was in one room with myself and my five children and never felt crowded!
During our stay in Penn Yan. We enjoyed the most pleasant experience with the hotel and the Front Desk staff. Courtney and Megan went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. They made reservations for us on Lake trips, suggested place to dine, events that were being held and wine trails to explore. They were extremely helpful. The 4 of us truly enjoyed our stay.
WE had planned this for a few months earlier staying only 1 night on July 13 2017 Unfortunately our dear 13 year plus Golden retriever Magic had to be sent to doggy heaven on Monday July 10 so instead of having our pet sitters we took our Shi Tzu Ringo with us at last minute As it was my 65th birthday on July 14th we stayed an additional night . The hotel went out of its way to accommodate my wife and me and we kept our king suite. It was a monsoon upon arrival and at 12 pm we were pleasantly surprised at an early check in. We had also found a doggie day care ( great place ) also in Penn Yan . The room was great right across was a exit door ( after a short hallway ) to bring our pooch out. Very quiet room good frig( no freezer ) but ice machine real close as well as fitness. We also were asked about floor preference and staying on ground worked out great. Breakfast area very crowded as there were many Mennonites staying who seem to do everything together at same time so breakfast was a bit challenging but good . Everyone was extremely professional and welcoming . We visited a number of wineries and all allowed us to bring Ringo in who became a unofficial greeter. The only minor surprise was that despite the BW in room book stating how to use the in room safes our room did not have one anywhere. Overall a short getaway that was well needed and a great place to stay.
Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn & Suites, Penn Yan, NEW YORK is an excellent Hotel in Penn Yan. Staff are very welcome. Facilities are great. Lobby set up are very warm and friendly. We will definitely book the hotel again if we visit the finger lakes area.
The hotel is conveniently located in the town of Penn yan. It is a great spot to visit many of the wineries in the area. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The breakfast was good and a real plus for traveling families.
Very nice hotel. All employees very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast was very good. If you are looking for a hotel near wine country and Watkins Glen State Park, this is the place.
Stayed overnight while on the Keuka Lake Wine Trail. Very convenient location, Staff was super nice, Rooms were well equipped (fridge, coffee maker) and very clean. Nice breakfast as well (which was so convenient). I'd highly recommend staying here, we'll definitely be back!
Stayed here for our visit to the Finger Lakes region and was very impressed with the cleanliness and up to date appearance of this hotel. Pool and jacuzzi room was maintained top notch. A++++ rating. Would return again!
This is one of our favorite hotels to stay in. We come to the Finger Lakes wine country often and this is always our first pick! They welcome dogs with a doggie bag and a truly positive attitude toward traveling with pets v. simply accepting your furry friends. I can't say enough about how accommodating this hotel is! It seems they have thought of everything and that they want you to enjoy yourself during your stay.
I went with the reviews and booked this hotel despite its lack of scenic view in an area that has amazing scenery. We are so glad we did. The staff have been friendly and helpful. Everything is clean...and I'm picky. The breakfast had great variety of warm and cold items, including fresh fruits, juices, baked goods, waffles, eggs, potatoes. The hostess kept things well stocked and tables wiped off. It was easily the nicest free breakfast of anywhere I have stayed. We did not use the pool, but the area looked well maintained. There is also a fitness area that appeared to have a variety of equipment. The bathroom in our spacious king room had good counter space, lighting and an exhaust fan. The towels were soft and large; the shampoo, soaps, etc. were good quality. We had a roomy step-in shower with a safety bar. We both slept well. There was a safe, a microwave, and a small refrigerator in the room as well. I really can't think of anything lacking or sub-par. I wish all hotels were as nice as this one.
Our stay at this hotel could not have been better. From the phone call to reserve the room to the pleasant folks at check in; all were great. We travel with our dog and she was even given a treat bag at check in. It was our first stay at a Best Western in years. We are sold.
We have stayed at Best Westerns not only in the United States but also in Italy. They are wonderful in all respects. They are well located and have great service, and very clean rooms, good breakfasts. In other words they are not only reliable but make ones vacation experience a delight.
Rooms need updating. Bed was comfortable. Don't look for much in terms of "Breakfast" options. Musty smell but that may be from pool. Air conditioning not uniform in room. It was cold at the non-bed end of the room, but warm near bed.
Great hotel for the money, comfortable and some of the best employees anywhere. We wanted to visit as many of the Seneca Lake wineries as possible without staying in a B & B. The Best Western's location in Penn Yan was perfect, with plenty of local restaurants for dinner.
This is an excellent choice for Penn Yan. Location is convenient to all the Finger Lakes attractions. Hotel is super clean. Large Lobby with a living room area with a tv. Nice indoor heated pool. Good fitness room with a variety of equipment such as an elliptical, stationary bike, weights, fitness balls, treadmill. Had a small fridge with towels kept in it to cool you down after a workout, plus free bottled water.Breakfast has nice selection of hot and cold foods, including juices, coffee, tea (no herbal teas or decaf teas)yogurts, bagels, mini pancakes that you make yourself, waffles that you make yourself, regular (not instant) oatmeal with a wide selection of toppings to add, freshly baked muffins from a local bakery, eggs, sausage, and more. Plenty of options. Quiet, comfortable rooms. The only negative was the Business Center which had 2 antiquated computers and a non-working printer. Very tight space. Be sure to check on the printer before you try to print anything important. They need to upgrade these old computers and make a larger area for the "Business Center."
We had a quiet room on the third floor back so enjoyed an uninterrupted sleep. The large shower was nice. Our room was equipped with frig and microwave and the beds were comfy. Don't know why there were so many pillows. Breakfast had the plus of fresh strawberries and blueberries, in addition to the usual cereals, waffles, eggs, meat, breads, etc.
A great place for a get away with something for everyone, wineries, good local restaurants and beautiful countryside. Set on a pretty quite village with very friendly and social people who take pride in their town. Will return
Stayed two nights 6-17/6-19 at this property and couldn't have been happier. Easy access to all things finger lakes related, very clean, wonderful and helpful staff (front desk, housekeeping, breakfast attendant). Beds firm yet comfortable, nice breakfast with multiple options, great hospitality with free water and snacks upon arrival and cookies in the evening! Thanks for a great stay.
I booked a stay for my parents as a gift so they could explore the finger lakes region. They loved it so much that we came back as a family. 4 different rooms and not a single complaint. Clean rooms, nice breakfast and friendly staff.
Our stay here was rather pleasant, with friendly staff and very comfortable suites. The continental breakfast was more than I expected, with 'do it your self' bagel sandwiches, waffles, cereal, juice, coffee etc. I great pick if you are looking for a decent finger lakes hotel at an affordable price.
Welcoming, friendly staff...comfortable bed...pool and jacuzzi...exercise room...chairs inside and out to relax outside your room...vast array of breakfast items...and a rubber duck atop your bath towel...what's not to like?!
Evey year we visit the Windmill & The bulk food store great places to visit and the Best Western is only 7 miles down the same road. It is very convenient, The rooms were beautiful great staff and we loved the Hot tub & Pool! This was a great place to relax with lots around the area to do and great places to eat too!
Wonderful customer service. Friendly staff. Great hot breakfast. Indoor pool and hot tub were very nice and relaxing. Housekeeping was very attentive daily. We weren't disappointed. Would definitely go back!
I've stayed in many hotels in many cities and very few receive an excellent rating. The Vineyard Inn will not be confused with the Four Seasons, as you wouldn't expect it to. But what you get is a clean, large room with a nice sized bathroom, outstanding customer service, a good (free) breakfast, excellent air conditioning, a fan in the bathroom, in a good location in downtown Penn Yan. All at a reasonable price. BTW, this hotel does offer a military rate so my "value" rating on this hotel is based on this discount. To be fair, almost every desirable hotel in the Finger Lakes, in the summertime months, is going to be overpriced due to the wine and tourist season - almost guaranteed to be twice the normal price versus when there is 3 feet of snow on the ground. But you will not be disappointed if you choose this Best Western property as they are doing all the routine things routinely well. Great experience!
This is a BW Plus hotel, which makes it a step above the regular BW hotel chain in terms of appointments in the rooms/lobby area. The gentleman at check in (but always seemed to be at the front desk...morning, noon, and night) was a gracious host. He was professional, prompt, and curious throughout our 3-night stay. He made sure to offer accommodations to better our stay, such as offering to get a bagel or muffin for me past the breakfast hour since I was sleeping in each day. My husband and I were both impressed with the hotel and would stay again if in the area.
This hotel is truly handicap accessible. The wheel chair was able to be used through out the room as well as the bathroom. The toilet was higher for handicap accessibility. The staff was great. I asked about the local wineries as well as local food places so that we could enjoy some of those while we were there. The staff gave us maps, allowed us to see menus and recommended places that they liked, and that they have had good reviews from past guest. The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good, fresh and well stocked each morning.
After 8 days of riding through Massachusetts, Conneticut and Rhode Island we spent a couple days driving about the finger lakes on our return to Ontario. This was our second stay at this hotel. Clean and attractive with everything we expected and price friendly compared to the other sister BW hotels and several of the "Ma & Pa" private places we checked out. Breakfast was well stocked, fresh and appetizing. We especially like that there is enough seating that you can enjoy your morning without feeling that you need rush through so that the next guest can get a seat. We will be back.
This is a nice hotel with great amenities. We were able to bring our dog and she felt very at home, despite it being her first stay in a hotel. The room was very clean and quiet, the staff were polite and professional, and it was very walkable to several places in town.
We found this property to be very clean and updated. Staff was very accommodating and professional when we arrived a little bit earlier than check-in time. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. We would stay here again.
This hotel is a very nice place to stay. Nice location lots of places to eat within walking distance from the hotel. The staff is very nice and the hotel is very clean and quiet! Provides a nice meal in the morning and the beds are comfortable.
Great place in the finger lakes region Christian, Courtney & Lauren were wonderful they are truly engaged in making your stay pleasant. Hotel is very clean and well maintained I would highly recommend staying here
Stayed here over Memorial weekend so we could visit the wine country. Good location for Eukea area and not too far from Seneca lake. About an hour drive from ROC airport. The hotel is clean and quite. The staff is very helpful especially Christian. Breakfast is available every morning ( cereal, yogurt, waffle, eggs, etc) in a do it yourself buffet style. Easy walk to restaurants, shops, taverns. We had a king suite which was roomy and had a fireplace. Would stay here again if in the area.
This is the first time I stayed at this hotel. It was reasonably priced. The hotel is clean and looks new. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good. I would stay at this hotel in the future.
Our room was beautiful and absolutely spotless. Hallways, pool, and lobby clean as a whistle. Delicious breakfast . They has waffles, eggs, bacon, potatoes, yogurt, pastries, toast, oatmeal, cereal, coffee and juice. I may have forgotten something there was so much to choose from. Walls are good and thick. Didn't hear the neighbors at all. Very little hallway noise too. Can't wait to come back next year. :-)
Very pleased with our stay. Clean spacious rooms with great coffee for breakfast. Refrigerator and microwave. Small but nice workout room. Pool and hot tub, wish we had brought our suits. Will definitely be back.
Pillows were small and uncomfortable making it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, we had a large, clean room with a chair and sofa area. Hot breakfast was included. The hotel was in close proximity to the wineries. A great value for the price!
This is one of best Hotel that we have said in for moths. The staff was great and the rooms great. We was their for 6 days. Had a good time and lot of fun. It was one of perfect trip for the year. Also the indoor pool was great. We would go back.
Great hotel - Christian and Breanna were great in getting things taken care of us once we arrived. Very friendly and helpful. Anything we needed they provided. Rooms are clean, spa and pool were great temperatures. Thanks for making it a great stay!
My husband and I wanted to visit our favorite wineries and to take a trip with our two dogs! This place was great for our dogs. Our room was on the first floor right next to an exit door that allowed us easy access to bring the dogs in and out. The room was very clean. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. They also had a great selection of food for the complementary breakfast. The staff was very friendly! There is also a great little trail across the street to take your dogs on a walk!
We love this part of the country and try to visit 3 or 4 times per year. Our impetus was a great March rate at the hotel but we were impressed at how much is happening around the lake area this time of the year. We are already planning a summer visit.
We have stayed at this hotel numerous times and last month we were there due to a death of a close family friend. Our trip was last minute and as usual the staff at Best Western Vineyard was able to accommodate us perfectly. My grandson loves coming to stay with us while we are there to enjoy the pool and hot tub and although it can get pretty busy and loud in that particular area it's still fun. The breakfast has a great selection of food and the hours work for early birds like me. Even though new hotels have opened in Penn Yan I will continue to stay here...the rooms are spacious and always clean. We did have an issue with the air not circulating in our original room and they quickly moved us to a new room which was perfect. Thanks again for the great service.
Beautiful, clean, good price and well situated about a hour from everything. Nice bathrooms, decent buffet breakfast , but get there early as it seems to be a popular hotel. Would definitely stay here again!
this was the first time that we had stayed at a best western in many years - and we were pleasantly surprised. the rooms were large; the staff great; and the amenities excellent. our breakfast was very good ( the only negative was the absence of adequate seating). we will definitely be staying here when we come back.
This hotel was very reasonable, conveniently located with high quality aspects. Close attention to details including evening baked cookies and a refrigerator loaded with water bottles in the fitness center.
Great modern facility in Penn Yan. Friendly staff, efficient check in and out. Room was huge, comfortable and spotless! We had a wonderful relaxing rest after a long drive from the Midwest. I would recommend the hotel to all!
This hotel is a great place to stay! They really go above and beyond to make sure that you have a great stay! They have board games on hand, bake fresh cookies daily, and have great bags for animals that stay at the hotel! Location is also great and can easily walk to many restaurants and bars within town. Staff were some of the nicest I have ever encountered at a hotel, always willing to help and always with a smile!
This is the 3rd time we have stayed here, & they continue to impress us!!! Very clean, very quiet, great complimentary breakfast, friendly staff... the hotel is within walking distance to town, restaurants. My husband used the fitness center this time & was very impressed with the equipment in there - all new, state of the art! You get alot of bang for your buck here. We cant wait to go back!!
Booked this last minute. We usually stay at b&b in Seneca but they were either booked or needed 2 nites. Easy to get to and a really nice hotel. Room was a handicap room, but was large, clean . bed was comfy. Fridge and microwave in room too! The indoor pool and Spa was empty when we went in late afternoon. Clean with lots of towels. They had fresh cookies, coffee and juices. Also had hot soup and bread for a great late afternoon snack! Front desk was very nice but not too knowledgeable on area or directions. Only one girl knew the area. In the morning the breakfast was good too. Make your own waffles, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit. Something for most everyone unless you are really picky. I think we will go again and try the wineries on Keuka lake. Very close to the Windmill too ( only open on Saturday)
We have not stayed in a Best Western in decades. We needed a room since once of our reservations got messed up. We drove up and greeted by a cute courtyard and parking lot. Inside we were greeted by a very happy young lady behind the desk . She gave us a welcome package since we were card holders that contained water, a snack bar and chips - let me say this, We are card holders of many hotels, but no one has greeted us or treated us like this and we have points racked up on Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn etc. In the room there was a large sitting area and refrig and microwave. Rooms were clean breakfast area was small and there was no one around (that we saw) to replenish things.
Wife & I have been visiting this Finger Lakes area for over 30 years and, until this trip, had stayed only at B&B's. Decided to give this new-ish hotel a try and weren't disappointed. Hotel was clean, comfortable, quiet & convenient. Breakfasts were adequate & room and its amenities were quite acceptable.
I have been coming to this hotel for many years and have always found it affordable and pleasant. On this trip however, I found the room rate increased to almost $200 per night and the breakfast offerings merely standard. What happened to the BW Plus corporate decision to elevate the breakfast to something more than scrambled eggs and pancakes? Or is that decision left to the discretion of the hotel owner? If I visit again I will investigate the new hotels which have recently opened in town.
The Best Western in Penn Yan is a great place to stay while visiting NY's Finger Lakes. It's central location is very convenient to the local attractions in both Summer and Fall. Resaonable rates, welcoming, professional staff and breakfast make is an ideal place to stay!
I brought my husband with me on a business trip. He is recovering from back surgery and I hoped a two day trip to the Finger Lakes would be a nice change for him. Everything about the hotel was perfect! They gave us a handicapped room. The bed was extremely comfortable for my husband and that is saying a lot! The breakfast had a lot of variety. He utilized the fitness center and we both enjoyed the hot tub. I noticed other new hotels in the area but I will definitely return to the Best Western Vineyard Inn when I come back to Penn Yan.
We stayed 2 nights (this was our second stay at this hotel). The hotel is conveniently located. It is just a short walk to a quaint section of Penn Yan. There are a few shops, restaurants and bars. And if you like to have a drink with your meal and do not want to drive, we were told by the locals that the cab fare was only $4, because there are a lot of young police officers. We had walked because it was nice outside (roughly 700 paces). This time I opted for the larger room plus amenities. Our room was nice, clean and large (the presidential suite). The jetted tub would have been great had it worked. The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling at the seams a little, I think it wasn't installed well ( minor issue). The shower curtain rod was sagging and the curtain would not stay closed. Notified the desk in the morning and the shower curtain rod was fixed but not the jetted tub. The fireplace was a disappointment- I thought it would have been a gas fireplace because the one in the lobby was gas. No, this was a cheap electric fireplace with a light to simulate flames. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs, bacon, homefries, 3 kinds of cereal, make your own waffles or pancakes, bagels, bread, muffins and danish, fruit and yogurt, juice, (coffee and tea 24hrs). A downfall is the breakfast area is small, so if the hotel is full there will be a wait. We did not use the pool or fitness area. There is a nice outdoor sitting area in front of the hotel surrounding a small water feature. The hotel staff were very pleasant. Next time I will save my money and just get the regular king sized room. This room just wasn't worth the extra money.
Lovely looking hotel. Stayed in 2-queen room 311. It was connected to room 313 and we could hear every word the two people in that room talked about until after 11pm as if they were actually in our room. Not sure if this hotel has non-connecting rooms but if they do & you want to actually sleep at night, I suggest you ask for a non-connecting room. Luckily the room was empty the 2nd night we were there. Bathroom is tiny; can't imagine 4 people sharing it. Breakfast was fine. Water pressure & temperature were good. Bed was comfortable. Everything was clean. Try to have the peanut butter cookies; they were sooooooo delicious!
As we were driving along, I kept thinking, there's not going to be a hotel around here and my GPS took us to a quaint little hotel right in the middle of the tiny town. It was clean, had a fair breakfast, staff was Very friendly, and overall a good experience. The best part, was that I left my pillow there. I called them two days later, expecting them to have thrown it out. She asked me what color, I told her and she said she'd be glad to mail it to me. I never expected to see it again. 10 days later, a paper towel box arrived at my doorstep (I think they needed a box for a king size pillow) and there was my pillow inside. It costs them $9.90 to send that pillow to me. I was truly impressed that they made that effort for a pillow. It was my favorite pillow and I'll always appreciate that they took care of me. Thank you
We stayed for 2 nights. Hotel is very clean, large room, comfortable beds. The blankets were too thin, to stay warm we had to turn the heater on. Breakfast is limited, but everything was fresh and tasty. Breakfast area is small, had to wait for people to finish their meal so we could sit down.
Whenever we travel, the first hotel chain we consider is a Best Western. This trip did not disappoint. We spent 14 nights in a hotel, 10 were in Best Westerns and all of them were very nice with pleasant staff and really good breakfasts.
The absolute cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in (and I used to clean hotel rooms)! Front desk staff were a pleasure to talk to. Our room was just perfect. Even though we were very close to the lobby it was quiet. The pool was small but very nice. Plenty of towels and seating. The breakfast was great and the staff member manning the breakfast bar was amazing. Anytime I need to stay in the area I will stay here. Expect us again for Keuka in BLoom!!
This Hotel was clean and the staff was very help full. This Best Western was outstanding. This hotel facilities was one of best we have stayed in. for a long time this hotel was one of best place to stay in at Penn Yann.
This was a small but very nice hotel in the Finger Lakes area close to multiple wineries and recreation. They had all the normal amenities and the breakfast bar was above average. The staff was very friendly. I liked the decor and the rooms were fine. One of the better BW's I have stayed in for sure.
The hotel was clean and staff very accomodating. We are not used to traffic noise. After the first night we asked to switch to a room on the back side of the hotel. The staff allowed us to do so with no questions asked. The stay could not have been better. It was a great central location for exploring the Finger Lakes.
At the time of my visit in Fall of 2016, this hotel had just recently opened. Everything is sparkling clean. The hotel facilities are spacious as are the rooms. The HVAC system keeps the room at the right temperature and is not too noisy. The hotel location is quiet and peaceful and conveniently located across the street from the Glenn Curtis Museum. The only thing that could make this hotel better would be to put it in the middle of the small village of Hammondsport so that you can walk to nearby shops and restaurants. But Hammondsport is too small to accommodate this hotel on Main Street so you will have to drive a mile to get there. No big deal unless you come by motorcycle and don't want to ride at night.
We often select Best Western lodgings when traveling. Choosing BEST WESTERN PLUS Vineyard Inn & Suites in Penn Van, NY yielded a very pleasant experience. It has a great location in Penn Yan being easy to locate during all hours of the day. The facility was very clean. Housekeeping of rooms was timely and thorough. The pool and hot tub (which functioned very well) was well stocked with towels. The pool area was clean without the typical chemical odor often present at other sites. The continental breakfast presented many options including cereals, breakfast meats (which varied from day to day), waffles, breads, breakfast drinks, and good coffee. The service desk personnel were helpful with local directions and the offering of local eating establishments including a map and recommendations.
On an overnight trip to the Finger Lakes and trying not to break the bank by staying at the more expense and often booked B & B's in the area we chose The BW in Penn Yan. It was and excellent choice with nice big clean quiet rooms and a very comfortable bed. For the first time in a long time I slept for over 8 hours. The included breakfast was fully stocked and fresh with cereal, all kinds of breads, waffles, eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, yogurt and fruits. If I had one small complaint the eating area was not that large due to a very large couch table and chairs occupying a large space. I would replace this furniture with more tables and chairs. The fitness room was adequately furnished and the pool looked clean. The best part was the price, a lot less than other accommodations in the area. You won't go wrong by staying at the Best Western in Penn Yann
This is a decent BW +. If I had the choice I would rate it a 3 1/2 .The room was comfortably sized and clean. My first floor room, despite being across from the indoor pool and at the heart of a very busy intersection, was very quiet. The staff were very accommodating. Breakfast was only OK as the eggs and the oatmeal were very dry. It is near the center of town and within a reasonable walk of many restaurant. If you are touring the Finger Lakes, this is a very good central location despite not being on the Lake.
Our stay here proved to be very pleasant. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The hotel is conveniently located with a variety of eating establishments and it's closeness to the Finger Lakes wineries. Having the opportunity to have a delicious breakfast in the hotel was an added plus. We would definitely stay here again.
We were on the first floor, which we prefer. There was complimentary breakfast every day and it was a FULL breakfast, not just coffee and buns. The room was clean and comfortable. I used the fitness center, which was also clean and cold towels and water were available to use at no cost. Would stay again.
My lady and I went to the Finger Lakes for the first time and this hotel was centrally located for wine tasting, hiking, food and much more. The hotel was immaculate and the complimentary breakfast was very good. I highly recommend this hotel to al.
This hotel, in a small town in the Finger Lakes region of NY was better than expected. The rooms were very nicely appointed and comfortable, there was a nice breakfast buffet and the whole hotel was nicely decorated. Considering how small the town is we did not expect such nice accomodations. The front desl personell were both friendly and helpful, and one of them, we believe her name is Jennifer, went out of her way, working for quite a while finding how to get to a local attraction for us. She was extremely efficient and nice.
We came to the wine country to celebrate the wedding of good friends. We were busy with preparations and participation. Every activity was filled with people and partying so it was so nice to return each evening to the comfort of our King suite at the Best Western. Our room was the best and service was great. So glad we made this choice.
we stay here when traveling in wine country on Keuka Lake ny. Plenty of good restaurants near by. Cool older town. Down the road in the fall you can get freshly made apple cider dounuts. Great clean rooms, nice bedding . breakfast area well kept and stocked. had a great time.
We were very impressed with out stay at the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites when we went Aug 31- Sept 2 2016. Staff was really friendly, the rooms were very comfortable and clean, the location very practical and the free cookies in the afternoon were to die for. I was expecting a continental breakfast but was treated to eggs, sausage/ and or bacon, and waffles as my morning options. Of course there was a bit of a delay on Friday morning due to the amount of guests eating at breakfast at the same time but they did replenish items as needed. We travelled with our 8 month old daughter and they were very accommodating with having a high chair for us during breakfast. Their rates were so reasonable for the service, location and room that it made out stay in Penn Yan better.
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many, many times since it first opened. We have never had a bad experience! The hotel is as neat and clean as the day it opened. The complimentary breakfast just gets better and betterThe staff always greets you warmly! The room we stayed in this time did not have a chair for reading as we had had in other rooms before and my husband enjoys sitting and reading in the evening. When we mentioned that we missed having a chair in the room they offered to upgrade us to an available room that had one! It really was not all that important to us - certainly not enough to change rooms. (We just wanted to know which rooms did have them for future information) The staff did everything in its power to make sure that we were satisfied - including a lovely tray delivered to our room that evening with a small snack and beverage AND the next day a chair was delivered! Vineyard Suites and Inn is top notch. The only thing nicer than the hotel itself is the staff. Congratulations to the management for continuing to have those that stay at the hotel truly feel like guests! We will be back to see you again soon.
Great Hotel with nice clean rooms with microwave and small refrigerator. Very friendly helpful people at front desk who gave maps and all kinds of suggestions. Great Breakfast with a nice variety. Coffee available all day. Cookies in afternoon. Would go back and also seek out other Best Western Plus facilities after our good experience here. Good working internet connection which we used. Beds were comfortable which I find unusual when traveling. Liked the friendly and helpful atmosphere. Public spaces pretty -even fresh flowers all around. Nice attention to details. Close to walking trails right from hotel.
I stayed for three nights on a recent business trip. Thoroughly enjoyable. The hotel staff is exceptional, rooms are very clean and comfortable. Very close to area many vineyards and other attractions. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to this area.
We had a lovely stay at the Best Western Plus in Penn Yan. We had a few minor problems with our room upon check-in, and the front desk people moved us to a new (upgraded) room immediately. Complimentary breakfast was constantly refilled (even on the busiest weekend morning), and the hot items were kept hot. There were always a type of egg, home fries, and either sausage or bacon. Also, there was a waffle maker and pancake maker with plain batter and a fruit batter, along with cut up strawberries and blueberries. There were also choices of the typical cold items (cereal, muffins, toast, yogurt, etc.). The location of the hotel is excellent for wine tours, outdoor activities, and The Windmill market on Saturdays. I don't think there is any high-end dining in the immediate area, but plenty of casual restaurants within walking distance or a short drive. My one complaint was the pool. We do enjoy taking a swim at the end of the day, but the pool was always very cloudy and unappealing. We hoped it would clear up, but it was that way for the entire 5 days. We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we were in the area.
We were here on vacation which was unfortunately shortened by a medical emergency, but the staff was incredibly accommodating and the hotel (for the night we stayed) was lovely, clean and quiet. We were on the top floor of the 3 story hotel away from the elevators. The room was spacious and comfortable. The "continental" breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, pancakes, juice, coffee, yogurt and cereal, this free breakfast was AMAZING! Had a great night's rest and would come back to this hotel in a heartbeat!
Clean hotel, with reasonable prices in a quiet town on Keuka Lake. Plenty to eat within walking distance. The pool and hot tub were clean, the room was clean and spacious for my clan. The bathroom is a we tight for managing small kids, but we made do. The breakfast was amazing. Homemade stuff from an Amish bakery down the road with fresh fruit, yogurt, and the waffle/pancake maker thingies that are popular in US continental breakfasts. In short, my family of 7 all found stuff they liked and ate their fill. The staff was polite, and responsive. I asked for a crib when I reserved my room on the phone and sure enough it was already there on check-in! I can't tell you how many times I request that, and then have to wait an hour after I get my room for someone to bring it up. That alone made me feel like they were paying attention and wanted my business. I haven't stayed at a BW in a long time, but will be looking for them as I travel now.
Excellent Hotel and the Staff was great. Hotel was very clean and provided easy access to Penn Yan and surrounding areas of the Finger Lakes. Overall experience at this Hotel was outstanding and I highly recommend this Hotel for people who just want a very nice place to relax.
We were very happy with everything the hotel offered. The double queen bed room was spacious, very clean, had great pillow top mattresses (no sags!),small fridge, microwave, and small table and chairs. The a/c was efficient and quiet. Breakfast was excellent, with hot and cold choices and included make your own waffles and pancakes! Location was great- about 4 blocks from Main Street, historical center (excellent place!) or the lakefront. Despite its proximity to 2 busy streets, we did not hear a sound. Internet connection was good. Staff was friendly, especially the woman who checked us in, who gave recommendations and a local map! Pool and hot tub were open till 10:00 pm- very relaxing!
We stayed here as a couple in August for wine touring. Excellent hotel with great customer service. Clean, spacious, comfortable, and great location with many restaurants and other stops in walking distance if you don't want to walk after a enjoyable day of wine touring. We stayed in the King suite and it had its own living room which made it feel very homey. Great place to sip on wine in the evening. The included breakfast was plentiful and had hot and cold options such as waffles, eggs, bacon and hash browns! The positive reviews for this hotel are accurate and it's a great hotel to stay at a very affordable price. I will stay here again with no hesitation!
The staff at the hotel was great. Some issues occurred and they were very quick to help in any way in which they could. That being said the thermostats that turn the air conditioning off in the middle of the night are unacceptable. I have no issues with saving energy while I am out during the day, but I have asthma and need to sleep in a cool room. Having to wake up every hour or so "to let the room know I am still there" is ludicrous and I had some of the worst nights sleep I have ever had on a vacation. It is my understanding in the winter the heat will turn off during the night. Until Best Western provides a way to allow for the temperature to be maintained during the evening, I will avoid them if possible.
No matter what time of day that we have checked into this hotel. The staff at this hotel is always professional and friendly. Always willing to help with questions about the area. There are many things to do in the area and the staff is very informative about the different places to visit while in the area
Spent one night while traveling. Have stayed in Best Westerns before, so was not expecting much and was so surprised. This hotel seems recently updated with an attractive decor. Especially liked the room lamps featuring a unique switch and the dark headboards. It's located downtown Penn Yann, but they try to make it charming anyway. There are even outdoor tables and a gazebo. The breakfast area was small, but they squeezed in a variety of foods, including fresh fruit and nonfat yogurt. There were also make your own waffle stations. The food was not fabulous, but it was fine.
Our room was pretty large, with a sitting area. I like that the bathroom was way on the other end of the room from the bed and TV. There was a mini fridge, microwave, desk and coffee maker in the room. Room was traditionally decorated, but the bed was something special. It was really so comfortable, I was sad to leave it. I would've really looked forward to sleeping in it the next night! Penn-Yan really doesn't have much going on. It was our first time there and the town was pretty sleepy, even in the summer. But great location to visit the wineries! Would stay at this hotel again. Such a bargain, too.
This was a really nice hotel in a good location. Walking distance to a couple of restaurants and convenient location for the beer & wine around both Keuka & Seneca Lakes. Room was good size, beds were comfy, bathroom was small but nice. Only thing that could have been an improvement was to have a comfy upholstered chair in the room. Breakfast was included - normal hotel lobby buffet - more than enough for us. Would recommend if you want to be in this area.
This was our second time to stay at this hotel. We found the service and the facilities were excellent. Our room was very clean and the staff helped us with issues that surfaced during our visit. We were here last year - and this year we invited two other couples to go with us because we liked the hotel so much. The morning breakfasts are very good with local homemade breaks / muffins / banana break. We would not hesitate there again on our next trip to this area.
We only spent 1 night here as we traveled around the Finger Lakes. Free breakfast, but nothing exciting. Rooms were good size, clean with nice amenities. Centrally located in Penn Yan and can walk or short drive to restaurants, but no exciting views here from hotel. Also, Penn Yan is well located near vineyards and the lake.
All in all a nice hotel. Surprised me compared to the Best Western's of the past. Breakfast was lack luster and difficult to enjoy because of the set up. Staff was friendly and noise level was nice and quiet. Got a good nights sleep.
My recent stay at this hotel was excellent. The staff was wonderful. It was clean and attractive. The bed was very comfortable and the quality of the linens good. Amenities were excellent. The quality for the price was super. Recommend highly for either business or pleasure.
Great hotel. Very clean stocked with many amenities. It is a great location in Penn Yan very convenient to the downtown restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful and efficient. Will stay there again.
I spent many summers in Penn Yan as a child, so it was very nostalgic to visit. The hotel make the visit very enjoyable and the location was close enough for a stroll down Main Street. I was able to pick out a few buildings that I remembered from my childhood, especially the location of a family owned clothing store.
This Best Western is very well situated for Finger Lakes touring and the staff and property couldn't be nicer. You can't beat the great service, even though at times we're tempted by waterfront alternatives. The hotel is steps away from a walking trail miles long, swimming, downtown, restaurants, and is a no-hassle spot for pets that includes a grassy area behind the hotel, safe neighbourhood for walking, and lots of friendly staff. Staff is second to none!
We had stayed here before but not in abour 4 years and they have a lot more compietition now. The girl atthe desk was very friendly at check in. Our room was alittle smaller then the last time we stayed, it was fine for a couple of days for 4 people but i would not stay longer because of the drawer space. The beds are very comfortable and lots of pillows. The room was cleaned while we were out. the breafast was better than our last stay. eggs, bacon or sausage, potaoes, waffles, pancakes, several muffins, toast, bagles, oatmeal and ceral. Space is always an issue on a busy weekend that is to be expected. We did pay more than i would like but it was nascar weekend.
The hotel staff are great, especially Ruth. She made us feel at home. The breakfast is good and enjoyed the cookies at night. Look forward to returning, the hotel is new, modern, clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the outside space.
I've stayed at this hotel four other times before. Love it. Clean, tidy, nice size rooms (a few stains on the carpet, however), wonderful breakfast, nice/friendly staff, washer and dryers, great pool, hot tub and fitness area (but no garbage can in pool area). Although hot tub was broken for a few days of my 5 day visit, which was disappointing. But, overall this hotel is top notch and worth the money.
Nice stop after visiting Cooperstown NY for the Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremonies, quiet stay after hectic weekend. Seneca Farms has great Fried Chicken and homemade ice cream, not too far from hotel.
My second visit to this lovely facility where the accommodations and the service are very good! The value is fair based on the $179.00 tariff paid for one night, but its summer time and the living here is easy, but a bit of a strain on the wallet, if not on vacation. Highly Recommended!
Love the fitness room....top quality equipment. The pool area was clean. Had a very quiet and relaxing sleep. As for breakfast, I would have preferred scrambled but I made a sandwich and was happy. Loved the fridge and microwave in the room and the convenience of the Chinese restaurant across the street.
This hotel was a great price and location in the Finger Lakes. Staff was very friendly and helpful when suggesting area places to dine. Rooms were very clean. The breakfast was also very good. Be sure to stop by the lobby for a delicious cookie compliments of the hotel. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
We stayed here for a weekend wedding. Standard, clean, cool, comfortable rooms. Our room had a fridge and microwave and was quiet, though the hotel is on a main road. Complimentary, basic breakfast. Free parking. Great customer service. Central location, though not walking distance to the lake. We saw a Hampton Inn near completion over looking the lake nearby. I'd check that out if I visited again. 4 not 5 stars because of the price. We paid over $200/night for what really felt like a $120/night hotel room. But alas, the laws of supply and demand disagree!
We were fortunate to get a King Suite which is a larger room, at the same price as a King regular. We booked online which was much cheaper than a call/walk in. This is not a chain we usually stay in, but we had read the reviews and were pleased with our stay. I did bring in my down pillow as I do in many hotels. The breakfast was mediocre but adequate. There is no great view from the hotel, but when you walk out it does feel like a vacation area. The staff was very professional, friendly and well trained to be helpful. The most surprising thing was that it has one of the best fitness centers I have encountered at a chain hotel. I almost wanted to spend more time there but the beautiful lake was our day plan.
The friendly Great staff makes you comfortable . We were in area for college visit . They answered slit of questions and gave us A lot of good information about both the school and the area. The hotel was buzzing with families there to view Keuka college. They set up a good breakfast with slot of variety. Clean room and a hot tub in pool room! We ve been back several times My favorite hotel in area!
This hotel was very clean and modern. The staff was excellent. They were very helpful and attentive, especially with recommendations regarding things to see in the area. It is a dog friendly hotel but we never heard any dogs barking despite seeing them at the hotel. Drug stores and fast food chains in walking distance. We enjoyed our stay.
Upon arrival we were somewhat disappointed by the location of the hotel. It is right on a busy intersection, something we had not expected. Yet traffic noise was not too bad. There is ample parking space right infront of the building. Staff is friendly and knowledgable. The rooms are of old fashioned motel style but still ok. We had a spacious and very clean kingsize suite which was big enough to accommodate two adults and two teenagers comfortably. The breakfast was quite good with waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, fresh fruit etc. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
This is the second time we've stayed here on our girls wine tasting trip. The rooms are great -- we appreciate that they have queen beds instead of double. Things were clean and we had enough towels (some places can be stingy about this). The front desk people are so kind and accommodating. The pool is indoor, which would be nice for the winter.
Stayed here years back when hotel first opened, & was lucky enough to book a room last night for a quick getaway from the day to day. We were NOT disappointed! Very clean & extremely comfortable beds & pillows, & staff friendly all around. Coffee & cookies in lobby & an easy b'fast bar included for the a.m. Location perfect for visiting Finger Lakes wine trails!
arrived at 10am, rooms not ready and were not expected. returned after winery tours all day at 5:30, rooms still not ready. finally got rooms at 6:00pm. request to speak with manager resulted in "he is not available."
Okay - I will admit we are kind of hotel snobs. But this place deserves a five. Well kept up, clean, rooms are large and staff was great. This is our first visit to Finger Lakes and our next visit we will stay here again. Oh yeah and a free breakfast to start your day before wine tasting.
Very clean, nicely located , near Lake, wineries, restaurants and shopping. Friendly staff, ample parking. We toured several vineyards the first day, they are all in close proximity to each other and you can make a circle of The lake in a few hours, with stops for tasting at 5 or 6 vineyards with lunch also, then return to freshen up and have dinner at nearby restaurants . The only glitch we encountered was, we could not get a reasonable price for a room by contacting the hotel directly, we had to resort to booking with an online service.I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Upon arriving, Ruthi was amazing with our boys. She was warm and welcoming and brought out a bin of toys and activities for kids and let our three year old pick out a few things. The whole staff is awesome there! The hotel itself is spotless, decorated nicely, and well maintained. The beds are comfortable and the towels are soft and absorbent. Breakfast is great too! We tried extending our stay but they were fully booked. The girl at the front desk even called the best western across town, but their rates were much higher. I'd definitely stay here again!
very clean and comfortable rooms good swimming pool and great jacuzzi at a good price in the beautiful finger lake region not far form lake and next to all shopping ... great and caring staff wouldn't go anywhere else
Stopped for an overnight on a motorcycle trip through the Finger Lakes en route to PA from VT. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The property looked to be fairly new, the lobby was lovely, and breakfast was served there with tables spaced here and there around the lobby area so it felt open and uncrowded when many folks came down to eat at about the same time in the morning. Nice layout. Breakfast was extensive with several hot egg and meat options plus cereals, fruit and drinks, etc. Very nice. My room and bed were quite comfortable and I was able to park my motorcycle under the lobby canopy where the 24 hour front desk staff could keep an eye on it. The front desk staff recommended a very good restaurant which was an easy 5-6 minute walk down Main St. The room was more expensive than I like to pay, but was significantly nicer than any other of the chain properties nearby. My only quibble is the indoor pool was cloudy and needed a treatment, but the hot tub was nice and clear. I'll stay here again if I'm in the area.
This was my second stay at the Vineyard Inn & Suites! This hotel is shockingly beautiful, well appointed and the staff goes out of their way to ensure you have an incredible stay. I cannot recommend it enough!
Fantastic service by the staff. Rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. Pool is clean and warm and the breakfast was excellent with a nice variety. The location of the hotel is very convenient to walk to local restaurants, parks and shopping.
Went to the Seneca Lake wine trails and this best western was close to everything! Penn Yan is beautiful and the beds in the hotel was the comfiest bed ive ever slept on. Me and my boyfriend had a fantastic time, in the hot tub and pool on site and ate our complimentary breakfast outside on the front patio.
Very clean, attractive hotel. Nice amenities, like breakfast and afternoon snacks. Very nice indoor pool and spa, plus a great exercise room. Friendly and helpful staff, too. Our first-floor room was nicely furnished and spacious.
We picked this area since it is central to most areas of interest. We did the Keuka Wine Trail Passport which was well worth the money. There are only 3 hotels but many bed and breakfast places. We picked Best Western since we belong to Rewards program. This hotel is within walking distance to most of the restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was very good and many choices to choose from. The only drawback was that the bathrooms were very small. It can be difficult for a large person to get in and the toilet is small and sits very close to counter and the door. The shower water pressure was good though and the rooms were very clean. This room had a safe but it was not secured since anyone could open it and did bring it up to the staff at the desk and they said they would have it checked out. So we decided not to use it.
I was very impressed with the help of the staff as well as the suite I stayed in. High ceilings, very spacious, sofa, small kitchen area, great shower with 2 shower heads. Walking distance to food and drinks........I did not get to try the breakfast as I left prior to its offering.
Stayed for a night , room is pretty big with a fire place . Room seems old , but clean and bed is comfortable. Quiet, as it wasn't too near busy road . Aircon is a little noisy . Breakfast is below average , with eggs that seems to be made from liquid egg. Only the banana cake served at breakfast is good . Suggest to go out for breakfast .
The hotel is very centrally located in Penn Yan, which is a small Finger Lakes town. Almost everything you need is within a 1/2 mile walk if you're so inclined. Rooms are decent, a little dated, but very well kept and clean. The front lobby is large with plenty of seating for breakfast, or just relax and read or surf the net. A few things preventing a 5 star - does the dumpster really have to be emptied at 6 AM? Maybe it doesn't happen on a regular basis, but it woke us up. The lobby / breakfast area is large and echos. If there are a group of big mouths, probably from the NYC area, it can get very loud. Consider installing some sound deadening panels, Inexpensive and hardly noticeable, All things considered, a very nice hotel and we will definitely return when in the area.
We reserved the King suite; in a word- fabulous! Indoor pool and hot tub was great. Staff was stellar-thank you Courtney. Great to visit the Wineries all day and settle here for the night! Stayed Memorial Day weekend. Just great! Clean, fresh, maid service superb!! Central to everything in the regional area. We will be back!
We always stay here when visiting Keuka Lake and the wine trail. It is within walking distance to Main street with restaurants and shops. The rooms are large and always spotless. They have upgraded shampoos and lotions and a smiling yellow rubber ducky! Wonderful breakfast with many choices. The best part of this hotel is the friendly staff.
A very nice and updated facility. Front desk staff was super in checking us in. Gave us great information about what to see in the area. Rooms are clean and beds were very comfortable. Good location with plenty of places to eat near by. Overall a very good experience.
Very nice hotel with wonderful staff. Good location - can walk to downtown. Rooms clean, good breakfast selection. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Staff always eager to help. Would definately stay again
We were 2 families with small children, stayed for 5 nights. we had a really good time at the hotel, the staff is extremely kind and helpful. the room was super clean and we had a good sleeping experience. hotel seems pretty new/renovated. Location in Penn Yan is convenient next to places to eat, but I believe most of the Finger Lakes area attractions are about 30 mins of drive away (most are east of watkins glen) Either way, next time I'll travel there I'll be sure to return.
The hotel is nice for what we stayed for. We came to stay overnight before our daughters lacrosse tournament. The rooms and hotel is clean. The pool area is nice. The beds are comfortable. Free continental breakfast in the morning. Centrally located in town.
Clean and comfortable hotel centrally located on the Finger Lakes Wine trail. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.Access to Lake Seneca and Keuka Lakes wineries and craft beer locales. Also close to Hobart and William Smith colleges.Located midway between Geneva, at the northern end of Seneca Lake and Watkins Glen at the southern end.
This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. We found this hotel to be clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location is central for Keuka and Seneca lakes. The breakfast was better than most BW hotels we have stayed at. We did not use the pool or exercise rooms but the pool and hot tub looked great and were well taken care of. We played cards every evening in the lobby(not a lot of night life in Penn Yan). We would stay here again on our next trip to FLX.
We have stayed at the Best Western in Penn Yan many times over the past 5 years while our daughter attended a local college. The accommodations and staff have always been great! Rooms are clean & comfortable. The staff is friendly and do their best to make your stay pleasant. Great location too! I would recommend the Best Western to anyone staying in the area.
This is a basic, new Best Western, well located near the center of Penn Yan NY. Thus it is within walking distance of several bars and restaurants in town, and a short drive to numerous wineries along Lake Keuka, particularly those on the west side of the lake. I am not sure how old it is, but has the look, feel and smell of being new. The staff was very nice, friendly and helpful. It is not a luxury motel by any stretch, but presents a good value if you're looking to visit the Finger Lakes, as it is centrally located in the region, with many good local wineries within a short drive.
My wife and decided to take a wedding anniversary trip to the finger lakes and stayed at this Best Western Inn. It was great! Staff was awesome and a huge shout out to Ruth. She is very cleaver and is a wonderful person
Friendly staff greeted us upon check-in and gave us the great overview of the hotel's facility. Made recommendation for dinner restaurant. The rooms has thin walls, you can hear the pacing of the upstairs patrons. Beds were very soft in the middle.
Location was clean, easy to find, loved our stay. Town of Penn Yan was not your cookie cutter block streets, but seemed like a nice town. Fairly close to Seneca Lake area - 20 minutes. Bed was comfortable, tub was big.
Clean, comfy room, good breakfast (including hot choices), and a very helpful, friendly staff make a visit to Penn Yan really enjoyable. The price per room jumps quite a bit as summer approaches, so you get the best value during the off season.
The hotel was extremely conveniently located to the Keuka Lake and Seneca Lake Wineries and there was a 7 1/2 mile walking trail about 100 yards from the hotel. The staff went way above and beyond and even sent my wife complimentary roses and cheesecake for our 26th wedding anniversary. I would DEFINITELY stay there again and again!!!
We stayed at the BW Vineyard Inn for one night on a trip to the Finger Lakes. The staff was very friendly and our room was very clean. Another plus was the complimentary breakfast! For being rewards members we received a small bag of snacks for our stay. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Great place to stay to enjoy the Finger Lakes! Large, clean rooms. Pleasant and helpful staff. Free Wifi. Plenty of parking. Good fitness room and very nice indoor pool. Cookies and coffee in the lobby in the afternoon.
I stay at this hotel once or twice a year when visiting Penn Yan for business. The hotel is a great value with a very clean room, attentive staff and super breakfast included. It is walking distance to downtown and the staff is always eager to recommend places to eat and sites to visit.
hotel is immaculate, rooms are spacious and comfortable and hotel has invested in a new gym and upgraded their breakfast offering. Management is really thinking about what clients like and want. Also they have pet-friendly rooms
The room and hotel were very clean. Staff was friendly and very helpful. It is right in town and close to stores and restaurants. The breakfast was average, wasn't bad but not great. Would definitely go back to this hotel and recommend if you are staying in the Penn Yan area.
A great stay and a superb breakfast. The staff was very, very kind and helpful as well. The location was convenient. This hotel is also very close to many wineries in the area. I like the Rewards Program that is offered by the hotel.
Sarah is awesome!! Made cookies for the Grand Kids. Always greeted us when we went by the front desk. Grand kids always ask if Sarah is still there when we go back. My wife plays in a pit band and we are there every March. Very convenient location in relation to restaurants, etc. Could walk to most everything. Mexican restaurant is always fun. Great chips and salsa.
it was a very nice stay and the staff are very pleasant and will help you in any way. they have a nice breakfast in the mornings. the place is in a great location to visit the lakes and wineries. we stay there all the time when we visit new york
went to the area for Distillery and Brewery tour, no wine this time. Very centrally located and within a few minutes from many stops. Decent breakfast - all the basics, hot and cold. Great staff, clean rooms.
We have never stayed at this hotel before even though we have stayed in the finger lakes numerous times, This hotel was by far the best stay we have ever had. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. When we came back to the hotel after being out they were always there to great us and they went out of there way to make our stay very pleasant. The breakfast was very good and hot.
We very much enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Everything was beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The rooms were quiet and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay again when we return to the area.
While enjoying the Keuka Wine Trail we stayed at this hotel. It was very clean with friendly staff. It had an excellent breakfast(hot and cold) with a large variety of food. Quite time is from 10pm - 7am and it was very quite for a hotel that was pretty full. The pool and hot tub area was clean with lots of towels.
Spacious room, clean and neat. Unfortunately there was a birthday party going on and so the pool and surrounding area were quite busy and noisy while we were there. A lot of slamming doors and noise in the stairwell. We should have probably requested another room.
Spacious room with sitting area. Wonderful breakfast. Clean. Staff very HELPFUL. Helped inform us about area restaurants, etc. ENJOYED THE HOT TUB AND POOL. Convenient to business downtown and restaurants.
My husband and I have stayed at the Best Western Vineyard Inn in Penn Yan NY many times. It's a great, clean, well-managed hotel. The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped with fridge, microwave, etc. Breakfast has a nice variety for 'continental'. The hotel is dog-friendly. The location at the top of Keuka lake is perfect for visiting wineries on that lake and it's a short 10 minute drive to Seneca lake. We highly recommend.
We chose this hotel based on a previous stay... and that it was pet friendly! We had excellent service. We received a pet bag with some treats and wipes to clean them up. There was a nice dog walking area in the back of hotel with bags. We loved the rubber ducky in our room! Everything was clean. It was a fantastic visit for the money spent!
We drove down from Buffalo where we were visiting to the Finger Lakes area of NY. What a clean entry way and warm reception at check in. The room was very nice and the pool was great. We were really happy with this property!
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights while touring the wine trails on Keuka and Seneca Lakes. We were so impressed by this hotel! Check in was easy and smooth, our room was beautiful - we had an oversized room with sitting area and fireplace. Our bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was included each morning and it included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffles and homemade baked goods, such as muffins and bagels, from the local area. On our second morning there the hotel provided free room service breakfast and had us fill out our order the night before. Very nice touch! The hotel was spotless and the staff was wonderful. We worked out in the fitness room one morning and it had a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike and cybex machine. The location of the hotel was perfect to get to either Seneca or Keuka wineries. We would definitely recommend the Best Western Plus and hope to return in the future.
Staff was excellent and friendly. Hotel was very clean and the room was excellent. The location is excellent. Great location if doing the wine trail. Nice bars to go to in Penn Yan. Would definetly recommend this hotel.
The motel is nice, clean and well maintained. The staff is professional, polite, and very helpful. I like to stay here when I have business in the area because I know I will have a clean comfortable room and it is convenient for where I need to go. This time my wife came along. The bathroom was a little small for two people. I don't think all the bathrooms are that small though and when I am there by myself, it isn't a problem. My wife stayed there while I was gone, met with some friends there, and used the fitness room. The staff was very accommodating and helpful to her. I would recommend this motel for business or pleasure.
This is an awesome hotel! The rooms are spotless! The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. The staff is friendly and helpful! The breakfast is delicious! If you are planning to visit the Keuka Lake area, this is the hotel for you.
We love this place and had a great room. The lady that was in charge of the breakfast was so very nice and wanted to be sure everyone had what they wanted. She was very personable. We will go back someday.
My husband and I went to the Finger Lakes to celebrate my birthday. As a member of the Best Western club, we chose Best Western PLUS Vineyard Inn & Suites. Our experience there was exceptional. We were greeted at both check in and check out by a very friendly young woman who was eager to assist us in every way. We had the fireplace room which was very spacious. In our room were flowers, a birthday card, and 2 pieces of cheesecake. I thought that was very thoughtful and a nice surprise. The breakfast included a variety so my husband, who has allergies was able to find something to eat. I will definitely return there on our next trip to the Finger Lakes.
I have to say I was not happy with booking Best Western for this weekend getaway( based on my past experience) but boy I was wrong. From the second we arrived I was happy that we did. This is not your typical Best Wester hotel. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. In the morning they serving Continental breakfast with selection of food anyone, and the lady that was over looking was doing great job ensuring everyone had something to eat. Thank you, for sure I will be back.
I travel a lot for business and I always enjoy my stay at the Vineyard Inn & Suites. The staff is friendly, the rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated and the location is perfect. Perfect if you are on vacation, wine touring or like me a business trip.
Well appointed hotel - extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Walk in shower with lots of shower heads was an unexpected bonus. I had mentioned when I made the appointment that we would be celebrating my husband's birthday. When we checked in, there were flowers, cake and a card wishing him a happy day. Very enjoyable stay!
This is a great hotel for staging your trip in the Finger Lakes region! Clean, modern, good breakfast. It is close to all the area's wineries as well as Watkins Glen and Lake Seneca. The service at the front desk was outstanding.
This hotel is ideally located for the Keuka Wine Trail and Corning Glass. We stop at Corning each visit to make a new glass object. The staff is exceptional and I love having breakfast at the hotel for an early start on the wine trail. The lobby is spacious for playing games.
I booked this hotel for an overnight stay in the Finger Lakes area, mainly based on it's location, close to The Windmill. Upon checking in we received a warm welcome from the young lady at the desk, Sarah, who was very friendly and helpful. In addition to getting us quickly checked in, Sarah gave me information on some of the local wineries and a couple good recommendations for restaurants in the area. Our room was spacious with a king bed and sitting area with a sofa and chair. There was also a small refrigerator and microwave. The bathroom was pretty standard, but had a nice deep tub and came appointed with toiletries from Bath & Body Works. The water was nice and hot with plenty of pressure. After a very nice dinner at one of the recommended restaurants that was within walking distance, we checked out the hot tub and pool. The spa tub was nice but the water could have been a little hotter. The pool was heated and luckily we were the only ones there at the time. Sarah happened to stop in to return some towels and was helpful again answering some questions and providing some information on the local area. This was truly the nicest Best Western hotel that we have stayed in. There was complimentary coffee, tea and juices available 24/7 along with cookies in the lobby. The complimentary breakfast also had muffins and baked goods from one of the local bakeries, nice touch. The only thing I could complain about, albeit very minor, is that I could not get the sleep timer to work on the tv remote. I would definitely recommend it and no doubt we will stay here again when in the Penn Yan area.
Nice design & curb appeal. Parking lot is well lit. Very, very CLEAN hotel & rooms. King size bed was comfortable & clean and included a couch, chair, refrigerator & microwave. Outstanding breakfast. Having coffee, juice & chocolate chip cookies available 24/7 is a unique touch. 20 minutes to Watkins Glenn. One hour drive to a do not miss trip to Corning Museum.(go in the AM & stay all day) You will be impressed with the local restaurants in Penn Yann.
This hotel is clean, has large rooms, and a great selection for breakfast. Quiet small town with the comforts of home. Can walk to some restaurants. Quiet except for some traffic noise in the early morning. Will stay here on my next trip through this area.
Rooms very spacious, comfortable, and clean. "Doggie Bags" were a nice touch. breakfast was very good. Hot fods were gone when I came down, but servers were quick to bring out more. It was the first time I've seen fruit topping for waffles. Only complaints were a little bit of road noise and the whirlpool was not hot.
We stayed at this hotel Halloween Night 2015. The room was spotless, refrigerator, hot showers and cookies for a snack. We brought our bathing suits and tried out the hot tub after a long day of sipping wine. The next morning was a hot breakfast: eggs, bacon or waffles. They even had strawberries or blueberries as a topping. We had a wonderful stay!
We stayed for a weekend just for a getaway from work. High marks for the doggy goodiebag! The staff was friendly and helpful! Only issue was the hottub. It wasn't hot at all. The room was excellent, however! Pull out bed and king size were well made. It was spacious, clean, and comfortable.
We had a king suite. It was very roomy, clean and comfortable. The hotel is seems to be fairy new or recently renovated. There is a good, free breakfast served in the lobby with many options. We had a lot of fun in the indoor pool with the kids. Highly recommended.
Staff always very helpful. Homemade cookies always available and delicious. We use this hotel as a base for our wine tasting adventures. This is our third trip and we will be returning again next fall.
This hotel was super clean and the location was a perfect home base to venture into wine country. Breakfast had good choices and there was a large area for eating, so we weren't all smashed together. The bed in our room was just a little too firm for us, but all in all a great stay.
We love the rooms, pool, hot tub, and included free breakfast buffet. We like the location in center of Penn Yan and the Finger Lakes Wine Country. We were recommended the Antique Inn on 54A by the representative behind the desk. Never knew about it before.
The hotel was very clean, quiet and extremely relaxing after a day of touring the wine country. Fresh baked cookies and hot coffee were always waiting for us when we returned each night to the hotel. The night staff, especially Joann, were over the top helpful and accommodating regarding any questions that we had about the area. It was my sister's 39th wedding anniversary and what the night staff did in their room was amazing.
Very nice pet friendly location, received "doggie bag" of treats at check in and room was on 1st floor near exits. Pet walk area is well lit for night time use, clean up supplies were also provided. Walk area was not completely fenced, but did allow room for dogs to run off leash safely.
This is a superb hotel at a very reasonable price. The property is very attractive and conveniently located at the head of the Keuka Lake. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, nicely decorated with all the necessary amenities. I particularly appreciate the available desk space for working.
The Best Western Vineyard Inn & Suites is the place to stay. Rooms are very comfortable, staff is friendly, professional and accommodating. The breakfast is outstanding. Location is perfect for touring local wineries, the golf course and local shopping. Short drive to Hammansport, Geneva and Corning.
Can't say enough about this hotel. It is CLEAN, MORDERN AND STAFF MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE FAMILY!!! It was our anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make it SPECIAL!!!! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel. THANK YOU to the staff for keeping this hotel CLEAN AND FRIENDLY!! A special thanks to manager Megan and Ruth!!
We have stayed at this inn many, many times over the years. It is always impeccably clean, the service great, the breakfasts bountiful. No idea why we did it but on our last trip to the area we decided to try a new competitor! Funny, how you take all those little extras for granted - until you don't have them. We will be back to our favorite place the next time we are in Penn Yan - never to wander again!!!! We love your fluffy towels, your great breakfast, your soft tissues, your smiles! Thanks for keeping your standards as high as you do. Never to be taken for granted again!
From the moment we walked through the door we felt welcomed and had a wonderful experience. Our room was beautiful, clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and Ruthanne Reed surprised us with wine and roses for our anniversary. When we went down to thank her she turned the conversation around and told us how wonderful we were and thanked us. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. The only thing I would recommend would be to add a few more low tables in the breakfast area because it is hard for the disabled, elderly, or very young to sit at the high tables.
Nice service and Ok breakfast. Nice room and internet. Very small pool. We could not find any resturant in the area. We only stayed there for 1 night on our way to Niagara Falls. If you like wines there are many winerys in the area.
We stayed here 3 days while visiting the Finger Lakes area. Wonderful stay from the moment we arrived till we left. The entire staff was very friendly. The entire hotel was very clean and quiet. The free breakfast was great every morning. The hotel is very pet friendly and our family dog was welcomed. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I came up to the area to visit Watkins Glen State Park. Found this hotel on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The room was well appointed and very spacious. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
What a nice place to stay, beautiful rooms, awesome service, The person on board the two nights we stayed was Ruth Ann she made our visit very special. She went way out of her way to make sure the 6 of us had what we needed and more. She went over the top for a very special occasion for one couple in our group. Thank you so much, we will definitely stay at this hotel again. Also pet friendly. Very personal, friendly, always asking if we were having a good day. She is the employee of the year and I can see why. Thank you.
Stayed here with a large group and everyone had a good time. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We were able to talk and enjoy downtown Penn Yan. I would definitely stay here again.
One of the most pleasant, efficient and cleanest BW I have stayed in, we travel all over the USA on a motorcycle and have stayed in many Best Westerns. This is by far one of the best!!! Great location, friendly staff and very well maintained inside and out. The only thing I would like to comment on is the breakfast was a little bland tasting, but overall well presented. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to the Finger Lakes.
We cannot say enough about this hotel...great hotel, great rates, very clean, great staff, awesome free breakfast, quiet rooms, within walking distance to town/restaurants. They really brought the 'personal touch' back, in a world where it has become so forgotten. We will DEFINETLY stay here again, & recommend it to others!!!
Located at a village intersection, this chain hotel provided a comfortable respite during our travels in the Finger Lakes. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The breakfast was generous. The charming desk clerk, Courtney, was the friendliest and most helpful hotel employee we've come across lately, handling check-ins and check-outs, taking reservations, giving us maps and travel directions, and keeping the breakfast buffet fully stocked. I loved the spacious deep soak bath tub--and the take-home rubber duckie was a lovely touch. Our third floor room facing the street was quiet except in the morning when the occasional truck came to a stop at the intersection. The value was excellent--less than half what we'd paid at an inn the night before.
Good central location for Finger Lakes region. Very clean hotel, excellent staff, and good amenities. Good value for money. Wireless internet somewhat spotty, but usable. Indoor pool and spa a bonus feature.
An excellent hotel with lots of amenities - indoor pool, gym, guest laundry The breakfasts were excellent - fresh fruit although not a huge choice, porridge, cooked breakfast. Still plastic plates, cutlery and cups though! Within walking distance of Penn Yan, cinema and eating places Would come back
The staff at Best Western PLUS is excellent and will treat you well. We visit the Finger Lakes every year for our anniversary weekend, this being the third year. We stayed at this hotel the first year and a different hotel the second. We returned to this hotel this year because we knew the quality. They surprised us with roses and wine and made us feel very special. We will stay again. The breakfast could be improved upon, but it is very typical of a free hotel breakfast.
I travel a great deal, and must say that this Best Western is one of the nicest, most welcoming lodging opportunities that I have experienced in the recent past. From the welcoming front desk staff to the clean, spacious rooms, the stay was outstanding. The room had a separate sitting area and made the time spent in the room most relaxing. The variety and quality of the breakfast items was outstanding. I booked this hotel for a group of 8 cyclists, and all were equally impressed. I will certainly use this hotel in the future on return trips to the Finger Lakes.
Very friendly staff. Extremely clean and well take care of by staff. The only thing I would have changed was to see the lake from the hotel. The breakfast could be limited to cold foods and continental type breakfast.
Located in a area convenient to the Finger Lakes. Property is clean, inviting and comfortable. This Best Western Plus went out of their way to make our visit very enjoyable. When we return to this area, we will definitely stay at the Best Western Plus Vineyard Inn and Suites.
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western in Penn Yan. We had a dog friendly room .The room was large, spotless and comfortable. Although it was in town, there was a grassy area behind the hotel for dog walking- complete with a clean up bag station. We enjoyed the pool & jacuzzi and the breakfast did not disappoint. We were happy to see scrambled eggs & sausage on the buffet in addition to the usual waffles, yogurt muffins & cereal. The location in Penn Yan was very good with short drives to both Seneca & Keuka wineries. In addition the staff was very accommodating.
