Everything great! We had a family in Marshfield. There front desk service was super nice and helpful, and I called many times to clarify, and adjust. The rooms are super clean, and breakfast was very good and included in the price. Just a heads up...if you have pet allergies ask for a 2nd floor room because the allow pets but only on the first floor. They were super nice and moved my son in the middle of the night and gave him no hassle. such wonderful service all around! Thank you!
Very nice! Stayed here for a night while my wife is a travel nurse in Marshfield. Pool and setting outside were a very nice bonus, two hot tubs and a sauna(wasn't on). Restaurant looked awesome, we didn't eat but glanced at the menu. Breakfast was honestly one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had, worth the stay just for that!
Excellent service & accommodating staff. Rooms are lovely & very clean. I have eaten there many times over the years when visiting the area. This time we stayed there due to family circumstances (family funeral). Recommend talking the small near by zoo too.
We met with 4 other couples after the Empty Bowl charity event. Our wives were volunteers at the event and wanted to eat and have drinks with their husbands. We all sat together and had drinks. This was followed by couples having appetizers, some had a pizza, and one couple had a sandwich. Lily was our waitress and Jen was the bartender. They both were attentive to our needs and timely with the food and drinks. Lily's shift was done so we paid our food and drink bill so she could .close our tabs with her. We decided to stay and have a drinks with all our friends. The new waitress said if we needed or wanted more drinks we had to go to the bar and get our own drinks. The bartender, Jen, said she would come to our table and take our drink orders. Which was nice of her, but we did not understand why she or we had to get our own drinks. Not sure if was because we were done eating or didnt want to wait on us. Overall was a good experience until the end which left everyone a bit angery and confused.
We had a wonderful stay last weekend for a family funeral, and were very impressed by the helpful and courteous staff, the spacious rooms, the high quality restaurant, and the delicious variety of foods at breakfast. There was also a nice workout room. The beds were comfortable, and the rooms recently renovated. Definitely would stay there again!
This was my second time staying at Hotel Marshfield, and my second top notch experience. The standards & amenities here are far beyond what would expect of a hotel in this class. The entire staff is professional on a level that's become a rarity in the service industry. Housekeeping is stellar. Complimentary breakfast is excellent, and served on actual dish ware. You can enjoy a genuine breakfast in a pleasant environment; not the norm for many places these days. The bar/restaurant was lively on a Thursday evening, with an interesting mix of guests from various states & countries. I haven't had the opportunity to take advantage of the courtyard & pool, but it looks inviting. I know several people locally who have attended weddings & other events at Hotel Marshfield and across the board, they've all been impressed. After leaving Marshfield, I stayed at a couple of other hotels while on a road trip. Similar price points but night & day in terms of the experience. Hotel Marshfield is worth every penny & I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.
Everything about this hotel is EXCEPTIONAL! Clean, spotless. Everything worked. Breakfast was the BEST! Real scrambled eggs, tater tots/American fries, ham/sausage, waffles, plus more. Personal attendant at breakfast. High end room, bed firm... excellent. Stay here if you can. You will not be disappointed.
I stay at over 150 nights a year, in hotels and although this hotel is "nice" with decent amenities, it falls short on the cleanliness aspects and until they start hiring quality housekeepers and pay them a decent wage, they will continue to fall short, like the rest of the hotels in the country. To start, I was NOT aware that they feel the need to charge a $14.99 "booking fee". I did not notice it, nor see it on my initial reservation until I was performing my expense audit. This is the first hotel that I have seen, to charge a booking fee. The next issue, is nowhere on their website, did it offer a single, king bed, however, I would have much preferred that option, and always book a king, if it is offered. LaVon at the front desk, still put me in a double queen room. I was not about to argue and deal with more delays, since I had already driven 12hrs to get to Marshfield. The bathroom has black mold over the shower, there was urine around the toilet, an Andies Candies and a nickel was left on the floor under the desk and the carpet had the rank smell of rotten feet. I addressed the issues of the Candy and $.05 tip, yet, noone rectified the issue even after saying something. I guess that was MY tip for staying there. The bartender, Anna, was less than friendly the entire time I was there. Granted, it was 9:30at night, but that is her job and I would have expected someone more friendly. Overall experiences was decent, but don't leave dirty towels outside your door....they will not replenish them unless you hunt them down to get them swapped out. The elevator is slower than molasses in January and can BARELY accomodate 1 person and the luggage cart. NO WAY can EMS get a stretcher in there and tend to a 2nd floor patient. Nice pool, hot tub and firer pit, plus plenty of patio seating.
We stayed for a wedding, and we found the hotel the perfect spot to be social with our family without encroaching on other guests. The common areas are set up to accommodate many separate parties. There is an outdoor courtyard in the center of the facility with a pool and ample seating that enhances the atmosphere. Bedding is upgraded and luxurious, the mattress was perfect for us. We were in a 2 room suite, and the bathroom was poorly designed and featured a pocket door (which always disappoints us). But - we certainly won't hold it against the staff or our experience! The breakfast was impressively and actively attended - no items ever got close to running out or getting off-temperature. Be aware that there isn't an elevator, so request a first floor room if this is an issue for you. Overall, this hotel is an excellent value. You will likely get more than you paid for!
Stayed here a few times this month and cannot recommend highly enough. The nicest hotel in the area. My room was modern, clean, and quiet. Breakfast is good, but dinner options are the best. Staff are helpful and quick to provide extra coffee pods, tissues, whatever, and also to handle any issues that arise. If you are traveling anywhere within 45 minutes from Marshfield, stay here!
Omg, hotel was great but the staff is really what made it amazing. Charity at the front desk was so hospitable and really made you feel like an honored guest in someone's home vs being at a hotel.Charity, Terry, and all the staff truly amazing!! Foster, Hamilton
Check in and out went smoothly. Lobby was clean and had a lot of seating. It is a very pet friendly hotel. Room was clean and spacious. Free breakfast was hot and had a lot of choices. Has a bar and resturant. The patio area has a sauna, whirlpool and pool. There is no daily housekeeping unless you call. It was a nice place.
I love this hotel. I have experienced another hotel in town, not very favorably. This place has everything we need. If we're snowed in, we have a great restaurant, a great bar and plenty of room to sit in the restaurant area away from our room. The room is great, clean, neat, well supplied. There have been some upgrades I've noticed recently. I think they are continuing that trend. The bathrooms are a little small and tubs need replacing but still usable. We stay here often and enjoy it. IMO the breakfast buffet needs a makeover with new foods. But it is beautifully presented and the staff are wonderful. This is my hotel of choice for Marshfield.
I stayed therefore 3 1/2 weeks while I was going to school. The entire staff in all departments were friendly kind and helpful! There were a few that went the extra mile to make my stay amazing! Clayton, Vicki, Jill, Nick, and La Von at the front desk and Veronica and Kathy in the food service! I didn't get to meet the housekeepers personally but they always had my room cleaned and stocked! The room was comfortable and the water was always hot! If I needed anything all I had to do was call the front desk! The hot tub even with the cold air and onetime snow, was always clean and warm. They even had an area where we were able to hang out in our class group! Thanks again! I will be back again!
We stayed here for one night on our way from the twin cities to Mackinac Island, MI. The rates are reasonable for how nice of a hotel it is. There isn't much around the hotel, but it has a great restaurant, bar and outside pool/sauna/hot tub area, so it serves its purpose if you are just stopping to break up a long drive. The free hot breakfast in the morning is also great. We liked it so much we decided to stay again on our way back, but opted for a suite as we felt like we needed a little more room for ourselves and two teenagers. We will definitely return!
In my 60+ years of traveling, I've stayed at hundreds of motels. This one ranks in the top 1% in all categories. The complimentary breakfast is on par with anything a fine restaurant would serve. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room and all the public areas were spotless. It also had a very welcoming courtyard that included a pool, hot tubs, and a sauna. And you could also have your meals served at this open air area at the north end of the courtyard. The prices are right in line with any where else you might stay at. I could go on and on but you get the picture.
We had a good experience here. The executive King room was roomy and spacious and very clean. It was nice having a bar and restaurant in the hotel as well. The hot breakfast was very good and great COVID precautions were being taken. I'd stay here again, for sure. As it turns out, a local prom was held here one night and we did not hear a single thing, though the parking lot was pretty full. It was nice and quiet in our room, however.
Would like to thank the staff at the hotel on our sons recent wedding reception, everything was great. Tricia was great as getting all the details done and done correctly. Ashley had the room prepared early and I know her staff spent long late hours to get it ready. Took a lot off of our shoulders and was done to perfection. Even next day they had everything put in boxes ready for us to take, even the people cleaning up helped us. Katlyn and Chris were great help as well bar staff kept everyone served Jen was her usual friendly self at the bar and several people commented on how well the evening went. We felt safe during this odd Covid time, again not sure if I have mentioned all the staff but want to be sure they all know how well they did Thank you
We stayed here for one night while on a motorcycle weekend getaway. We had called earlier that day to see if they had availability and was quoted a price for a king room. We did not reserve, as we did not know for sure where we would be since we were enjoying the day on the cycle. When we arrived at the hotel, and inquired about staying the night, the price was quite a bit more. After we explained that we had called earlier and what we were quoted, he begrudging said he could give us that price. Our room was on the first floor, near a side entrance. Perfect for unloading and loading the bike. The room was spacious and updated. It was clean and had no smell. The bed was comfortable and the towels seemed new and were very fluffy. We had a very quiet and restful sleep. The next morning, the breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. They did have a variety of hot and cold item, but it just seemed like not a lot of thought was put into them. The yogurt was a very cheap brand, with no plain vanilla or Greek. They were serving oatmeal with different toppings that could also have been used with the yogurt, had they offered a nice plain Greek yogurt. The breakfast sandwiches were very dry and un-appealing. They had bagels, but no toaster….strange. Still, it was better than most hotels are offering right now. The only other customer service complaint I would have, is we ate at the restaurant the night we checked in and afterwards went to the hotels Market Place store to grab a candy bar. As we were heading to the front desk to pay, the gentleman that checked us in said we could not buy the candy. He said they had a wedding that night, and the wedding bar had the machine for purchasing. I asked if we could just give him correct change and he could ring it in later, or could we charge it to our room. He said that he had no way of doing that. What the heck. The next day when we checked out there was an extra charge of $30 for incidentals. Say what? They said that charge would fall off, which it did…..but what was that for?? What incidentals…hmmm…maybe a candy bar?? Bottom line………yes, we would stay here again….it was clean, quiet and updated. We also liked that they had a decent restaurant and bar.
We like to go to Hotel Marshfield because it has a nice bar and is quite. On Wednesday nights they have live music and if weather is good it is outside in the courtyard. Typically service has been okay, but on our last to visits not so good. We start inside Jen is a great bartended and is good to talk to. Then we proceed outside with a drink from the bar. The issue is then getting some one to come and ask if we want another drink or maybe food. This last time there I had to go inside twice to get my our drinks. Even though there was staff outside waiting on tables never came to ours. We were very close to the doors so not like we were somewhere not easily seen. This was the second week that this has happened to us. I know there seems to be some new faces/staff but service is important. In my line of work I travel all over the world so I not good or bad service when I see it and lately the Hotel service has been less than desired. We might still come in and sit at the bar but not sure will venture outside not worth getting frustrated over being ignored.
The rooms were partially remodeled with some new furnishings. The bath tubs are old however and are not in the best shape.. second floor was quiet. Breakfast was unimpressive. No freezer with the fridge.
My husband has had some medical problems and needed 2 surgeries. The first time we stayed here was just for testing. A few weeks later it was for surgery. And a few weeks again for surgery. The staff was very attentive as we didn't know how many days he would be hospitalized both times. They don't come in the rooms once you have checked in but the staff checked to see if I needed anything, clean towels, coffee, etc. The first 2 times we stayed they were not serving food due to the Covid virus. There was a box breakfast. The last time they were serving food and it was really good. We have decided if we are down in the Marshfield area we will be stopping there to have lunch or supper even if we are not having to stay over night.
We were here for a baseball tournament in July. What a great hotel - staff, rooms, breakfast, pool area, service. There is a reason this hotel is a Premier Collection Hotel. The rates were very affordable as well. If you're in Marshfield, do yourself a favor and stay here.
I really enjoyed my stay. I had a lot of work to get done in my room and it was quiet and comfortable for working. The staff was great. I appreciate how prompt attention was given to any concerns raised.
Older hotel, somewhat updated. Complimentary breakfast leaves a lot to be desired-over cooked eggs undercooked sausage. Pretty clean, amenities sparse. Staff very accommodating when asked about storage banquet facilities.
Overnight stay for a business trip and really appreciated the spacious desk and lounge area in the room. Ordered room service from on-site restaurant, delivery was quick, food was pretty good, service was excellent. Hotel appears to have been remodeled recently, and the hotel and rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean. Rooms include single serve coffee maker and for-purchase mini bar. I would highly recommend!
This is a nice hotel, the staff are very welcoming and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. On a side note the breakfast was horrible so we stopped for a brunch on the way home.
This hotel is very efficiently run and well maintained. I liked the design of the bathroom--it had a large single sink with a handy corner shelf just above it, and it had a nice shelving niche built into the wall opposite the sink. It was a handy place to put our toiletries. The hotel was busy, but very quiet.
We have stayed at this Hotel many times in the last 5 years. The hotel is great with many things including the restaurant. But if you are a long time guest the fare never varies that much. It would be nice if they had a waffle maker for the guests as a change of pace. There is a problem with the internet in our room at the hotel. It bumps you off at inopportune times and won't allow for reconnection unless you sign off. We have experienced this before and have heard other guests ask about the problem. If you go into the lobby area you usually are fine. This is a pet friendly hotel so if you have allergies ask for the second floor since they don't allow pets there. The beds are comfy and the rooms are nice. We know many of the staff there and we come back because of this. They make you feel like family.
We stay here every summer for a family reunion. The hotel is always clean and staff is friendly. We loved that they accept dogs and treat them like one of the family. This is the best hotel in Marshfield!
Their was absolutely no counter space in the bathroom and the sink drain couldn't be shut. I reported the sink drain and the staff in the lobby told me they couldn't authorize the repair of that item.
Great hotel! My family stayed for one night and our experience was great. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great pool. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was very professional! This will be our go to any time we visit Marshfield.
I booked this room minutes before leaving home. Hours later, I dropped my bags in my room, water bottle in fridge and left. Because of family dietary diversity and restrictions, they joined me at the hotel for dinner. All our food and drinks were properly served. The wait staff very attentive. Breakfast was included and a quiet experience. Eggs, sausage, French toast sticks, yogurts, fruit and more. The bed was comfortable and room quite clean.
Were in town for a graduation party. Nice hotel and great service. The breakfast was good and hot. Better than average hotel. Missing 5th star as pool was closed for maintenance and it was 85 degrees. Those things do happen. Would stay here again when in town.
expectations of a smile or friendly greeting were pretty basic and only came from the front desk person at check out. From staff that walked past us to, cleaning to breakfast service no friendly greeting.
The Hotel Marshfield hosted my husbands retirement from the Air Force. We have stayed here multiple times in the past on our visits here to see friends and family. The staff were wonderful to work with. Everyone from the reservations, Tricia in events coordinations to Jeri in the restaurant. Steve was so kind to volunteer to help us with an impromptu sound check in our particular events room. We want to thank the Hotel Marshfield for making this retirement event so memorable. We will definitely be back and will recommend this location to others!
Pool was dirty and hot tub was only 98 degrees! Outdoor fire pit also wouldn't ignite! Took family there over Holiday weekend and was disappointed that the outdoor amenities weren't working, that was whole reason for our stay
already stated my issues in another place. This hotel seems to be going downhill and the cost seems to be going up. The free breakfast was limited, cold and not very appetizing. The room had beginnings of neglect
Excellent rate for medical visitors, Clean and well supplied rooms. Wonderful restaurant and bar. Friendly staff! What more can you ask? Centrally located and NO STREET NOISE! This is a well staffed property.
Overall the room was adequate. Had a problem with billing, and room stocking, and a cracked window repaired with clear tape. The hotel is smoke free however upon checking in, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke.
We stayed overnight at Hotel Marshfield while my Dad was at Marshfield Hospital. The Grand Suite met our needs quite well. We had dinner at your restaurant and the food, service and experience was exceptional .
Clean hotel, friendly staff, and great hotel mates in Marshfield, Wisconsin. I will stay here when I return. Conveniently located just shy of downtown, Marshfield , Central Ave. I should have enjoyed meals at this hotel but decided to venture off campus. Meals looked visually appealing and fresh.
All were friendly and capable, but the Housekeeping Team was particularly hospitable. All I encountered welcomed me without being prompted by me saying hello. Seemed to come from the heart. Hard to imagine there would be any other hotel in Marshfield where one should choose to stay.
Initially checked in to another Marshfield Hotel. One we had stayed at before. Had many problems at the other place. After we found a room available here, we left the other place and checked in here. First of all the customer service was outstanding. Sara at the front desk was completely accommodating. Gave us a great clean room. Every staff member smiles. We saw servers and maintenance employees and housekeeping staff and Jeri at the breakfast buffet was someone I looked forward to seeing the second day. Her interactions with customers and other staff were spot on. We enjoyed a beverage and a couple of appetizers that were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back again. We have many appointments at Marshfield Medical Center and we will pick here to stay every time. It's very comfortable after quite a few stressful appointments. The bed is awesome. There are no neighbor door slamming problems. The walls are thick. The pool area looks wonderful and can't wait for that season to open. I would say you pay for what you get, but the other place was of equal price. This hotel is maybe 5 minutes further from the clinic than the other hotel. Stay here.
Front desk was super helpful and friendly. Room service was prompt and the food from Libby's was delicious. Bar martinis were great too. Would love to come back for a stay in the summer for the pool and courtyard.
Everything was great during this stay. The breakfast had great options, and was tasty. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Will definitely stay again! We travel to this location at least once per year, and will always stay here.
Excellent from check in through checkout. Rooms very nice, clean and in working order. The free breakfast buffet was very impressive. Not your usual hotel supplied breakfast. Everyone we encountered was polite and friendly.
We stayed for the Roehl Awards Banquet and enjoyed our 4 day stay immensely!! Everything was clean and this was the quietest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff went out of their way to make us feel like part of the family.
This is a nice place to stay for business, family vacations or just some alone time. The beds in the room are very comfortable and the rooms are nice and clean. The mini bar prices are not too bad either. The bottles of water were very affordable. Thank You
The hotel is in a good location and staff is great. The hotel is well laid out and offers a good breakfast and bar for the late nightcap. Excellent value for the price and would definitely stay here again.
It was a pleasant stay will I was on a business trip. The staff was frinedly, the rooms were nice and clean. The food was good. I enjoyed the hot tub with the waterfall. Although the hot tub was a bit dirty with the bottom filled with dirt or sand.
Although I was there for three weeks as an extended stay, the hotel room that I was in was not really geared for such. The refrigerator that was in the room was very very small and had sodas, water, beer etc. I had to ask that they be removed. Also there was no freezer section. There was no cooking facilities and there was absolutely no storage place for clothes. The staff were very polite and friendly, and for visiting it is a wonderful hotel, but for an extended stay you can get claustrophobic. Complementary breakfast is offered, and shuttle service to Marshfield hospital which was helpful especially on the snowing roads. There are great amenities there examples are, a gym, hot tub etc. The rooms are definitely not sound proof.
Had another great stay at the Hotel Marshfield. Bar staff were particularly attentive to our groups needs during our event. They went out of their way to accommodate our special requests. It really contributed to the success of our event.
The best hotel option in the Marshfield area, hands down. Stayed here for a business conference, and was thoroughly impressed. The rooms were neat and orderly (with green initiatives you don't normally see in hotels), and the food and drink options at the hotel were great. Looking forward to staying here again.
Staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Rooms are all very clean and beds very comfortable. This is my third time returning and it's akways great! The food from Libby's is always great. I've had breakfast every day, ordered lunch and dinner and everything is always very good and fresh.
Accommodating, most helpful during a snowstorm when we needed to stay any extra night. Helped us out during the difficult time of attending a family funeral. Traveling with 9 people and 4 pets, they made it easy.
… this is where you want to be. Nice rooms and amenities. Clean and quiet. Restaurant is okay, a little over-rated and over-priced for the meals I've had. But there are very few better places in town. Breakfast isn't bad, especially since you don't have to go outside for it. Staff is always friendly and accommodating.
Here for a seminar stayed two nights. Really nice hotel! People were friendly. Food was good. Great customer service! I couldn't get my car started due to -35 degree sub zero weather. Hotel staff helped me get it going Good parking
I would highly recommend this hotel to stay at. The atmosphere and accommodations were great. I wish I had the opportunity to enjoy the outside patio are but of course it was January. The staff were so helpful and pleasant.
Cleanest hotel room I have EVER stayed in, and I work housekeeping in a hotel so I know what small details to look for. I was very impressed. Hotel staff was super friendly and check-in/check-out was really fast and efficient. I was very disappointed in the breakfast.
I stayed for business on a cold day in January. I had reservations so the check in was very quick and easy. My room was nicely accommodated and contemporary. The fitness center is larger than most other hotels I've stayed and the continental breakfast worked well. All in all, a great hotel and I would highly recommend it.
I stay regularly at the Hotel Marshfield for business. It is overall a good property. Best hotel in Marshfield. The rooms have been fairly recently remodeled. Housekeeping at the property is average to poor. Garbage under the beds and behind furniture. Shower stalls are dirty on the bottom and need a deep cleaning. Rooms are sometimes vacuumed sometimes not upon check in. Front desk staff is very customer service focused and provide great service! Restaurant is good. WiFi is good. Fitness center is well equipped. However, no gym wipes to clean the machines. There is a dispenser but it is typically empty.
I would check the room first! Information should have been given at check in about using the heat controls in the room as well as where to park that was lots closer to the room. "Free" bottles of water in the room and not such an early cut off time for the free breakfast buffet.
Was impressed by the interior of the hotel, lobby area, etc. King executive room was very nice, and as all Best Westerns the bed very comfortable. I liked the in room mini bar (even though it wasn't used). Lounge restaurant area was very nice, complimentary breakfast was very good, and the pool courtyard area looked to be very nice, was disappointed it was winter and couldn't use it. I would definitely come here again if in the area
Really nice facility. We were there in the winter and could enjoy their outside dining and relaxing courtyard, but, it looks like it would be great. We had about 25 people at our function over a 3 day stay. Everyone commented on the great food, drinks and service we experienced. Very friendly and professional.
We were in town for a Family Christmas-our stay at the Hotel Marshfield was Fabulous even if it was just for one night. It is a Beautiful Hotel, breakfast area is Wonderful and the breakfast was good-would definitely stay again when in Marshfield.
Wonderful place with very kind staff. The inside is very well kept, the parking was plowed regularly, and the hot tubs/sauna were a great addition after a long day. A convenient drive to anywhere in town. I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying in Marshfield.
I already shared my thoughts in the survey. We may find another hotel to stay as the price is too high for our budget. Everything was ok but far from perfect. Breakfast was good, room was clean, staff (we only spoke with the person at desk at check in) was ok.
This place is very nice! One of the best hotels I've stayed in in a while. Restaurant is wonderful and has great food! Room service was excellent and quick. Fitness room has plenty of equipment to work out on. All the staff is super nice. Beautiful courtyard and lobby. Short drive to other restaurants and attractions.
It's so nice when a smaller town has an option like the Hotel Marshfield. It is a pet friendly hotel with free hot breakfasts every day. The staff was always happy to help and accommodate any needs we had. The rooms are very quiet, easy to get a good night's sleep. Even housekeeping staff would offer extras if needed. I never felt like I was imposing or a bother.
Highly recommend staying here. They have parking for vehicles with trailers, nice check out times, and amazing staff. They also hold public events like paint and sip classes that are HIGHLY recommended to attend that are open to the public. Call and ask when they are having an event by "Simply Creative" paint and sip paint parties.
One of the best Hotels on the Planet. Clean & Neat. Great service, very nice stay, quiet rooms.I would recommend this Hotel to anyone. Marshfield set the standards for other Hotels to follow. I have travelled a lot over the past 28 years both Internationally & State side and was very impressed with this Hotel. It's nice to see an organization pay attention to very detail.
I highly recommend this Hotel. Very clean and friendly people. Restaurant onsite makes dining very easy and convenient. If you also like a bar they have any excellent wine selection and very friendly bar tender.
I have now made several business trips to Wisconsin and have stayed at the Hotel Marshfield each time. The hotel staff is really nice and the rooms are very clean and orderly. Food is also great. Those are the simple things people are hoping for when staying somewhere. Will be staying there on my next trip !
The internet, was difficult to get to work, and every morning on a conference call, I lost connection. The room was not warm enough. the breakfast was marginal. They missed cleaning the room a couple times in my 1.5 week stay.
So we've been coming here for a while. Amber is the bar supervisor and has been awesome. Just found out she is leaving and that is really disappointing that this hotel/restaurant is letting her slip away.
The glazing on the bathtub was peeling off in big spots on the floor of the tub.The rest of the room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable. Nothing special about the hotel, not a very good value for the amount charged. The evening meal was very good and service was good but the breakfast was limited, especially for someone who is lactose intolerant,
Need to stay an extra night, which was no problem and I needed some toothpaste and was immediately given a travel size free of charge. Great service! I would definitely recommend this property to others.
Great will stay there again. The restaurant was very accommodating to everyone's need. The rooms were very clean. You accommodated our whole family. We were able to book around 20 rooms with no hassle. Thank you for that. We were even able to use the hot tub in the snow and cold!, we celebrated our mother's 90th birthday in the lobby every night. Thank you it was very warm and inviting.
Nice location, a few pluses, like real dishes, silverware, and coffee cups at breakfast. Very good bed and nice and quiet. Bonus for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles - charging stations. However, internet speed was terrible and TV remote took a lot of patience (or it would drive you nuts).
My overall experience at the Hotel Marshfield was great. The only suggestion is regarding the beds. It would be nice if they were softer. But the staff were wonderful and the food was great. I also like the fact that pets were welcome.
Stayed here during a visit to the Marshfield Clinic. It's two miles from the Clinic. We enjoyed the bar and restaurant area, and were lucky to be there on a Wednesday for free live music! The room was nice. We upgraded to a larger room with a sitting area.
Hotel Mansfield was a very nice surprise in fact it exceeded our expectations. We normally stay in corporate affiliated hotels when we travel in Canada and the US but after reading the Trip Advisor reviews of this hotel we decided to give it a try, great decision on our part. The hotel and rooms are very clean and tidy, all staff are attentive and helpful. The rooms are spacious and the beds extremely comfortable. It is a real bonus having a great restaurant on the premises, breakfast offerings were very extensive and the food was hot and tasty. We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to others
Staff was great. Sink in bathroom is too big leaving very little counter space. We had to balance some toiletries on the back of the sink. Also, the mattresses are way too stiff. My wife didn't sleep at all during our stay.
Hotel Marshfield is a Central Wisconsin Gem. Polite and Helpful staff. Check in and out was efficient. Bar and Restaurant is excellent. Facility and rooms are very clean and comfortable. I didn't have to mess around with the temperature in the room and there was no musty or moldy smell from a room kept closed up. It was very quiet. The mini bar, variety and reasonable cost was a pleasant surprise. Value was fantastic.
Great stay! I was there for business, so having a quiet room was essential. The free breakfast was a good start to the day, and the free laundry facility was a nice bonus. Great to head home after a business trip with clean clothes and no laundry in your future! I never saw the housekeeping staff, but my room was made up perfectly every day.
Very enjoyed our stay! I accompanied the wife for the first time of three visits and see why she enjoys Hotel Marshfield. First, the entire facility looks and smells recently updated. Room quite nice with a tab desk that we used as a little dinette. We went down to look at the menu and stayed. I have to recommend their Philly Steak sandwich....we both did the sandwich menu and had a 20 dollar dinner tab. Good value on the rooms. I would stay there without considering any other option. OBTW I had fun running around the zoo, St Vincent DePaul, Antique places, etc. while she was at her in town conference.
Clean if you don't look to closely. no indoor pool, but nice restaurant with live music on Wed. night and gluten free options. Some mold in bathroom and near window. outdoor pool and hot tub. Friendly staff
This hotel is comfortable, personable and has great food. The rooms are spacious, beds and pillows comfy and just an overall great relaxing atmosphere. There is an outdoor fire place but it rained when I was there so we couldn't use it or the pool.
Place had aura of a more pricey or higher end hotel-mini bar, nicer beds, hot breakfast etc. was a bargain for me. Seemed more like a Hilton, appreciated attention to detail and great service for less than $100 a night
Very nice hotel and the staff were all excellent. We did eat at the restaurant for dinner and had a great experience there as well. The only negative was the breakfast, the eggs and sausage were not very good.
I had a large clean business suite room and comfortably firm king size bed! It was not too bouncy. Room service is available and dessert was great! The desk and office style chair are great for business travel.
This Hotel was situated in a quiet area and the beds were comfortable. This was a business trip and I loved the rooms. I would recommend this hotel in the future to anyone who needs to stay in the Marshfield area
I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Marshfield. I would stay at the hotel again if offered. The price was affordable and I appreciated that there is an outdoor pool, hot tub and sauna. The staff were friendly and I did not experience any major problems
Hotel is clean and friendly, they thought of everything. Easy check and easy check out. You can eat inside or outside, you can have a small fire outside, stocked fridge in room, coffee maker, laundry room and restaurant.
Came in late without a reservation. Staff was able to find us a room and contact the food staff that we'd be looking for dinner, even though the grill was only going to be open an additional 15 minutes. Clean and comfortable room, will stay here again the next time I'm in town.
Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good. Really like the work out room. Closely located to a variety of restaurants and bars. Only disappointment with this stay was that the tapper for beer was not working.
Great room and amenities. Weds.poolside entertainment during happy hour. A filling and varied breakfast buffet which was kept fresh through the AM time frame. Our room overlooked the pool and fire pit. The room had everything you would need if you had forgotten something including wine and liquor(additional charge) and a Kuerig coffee maker with a assortment of different canisters. A very friendly and informative staff. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn before but the Hotel Marshfield will always be our Home Away From Home!
A great place to stay, this is a quiet hotel with good accommodations. The staff and the restaurant are very nice. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Marshfield. Always friendly, always follow up. The beds are very comfortable and they are working towards being as Green as possible.
What a wonderful stay - the people were so kind and helpful; the rooms were incredibly spacious, high-end and comfortable; and the catered food and breakfast were more than I could have asked for! It was as though I paid hundreds of dollars at an upscale hotel in downtown Chicago. Just incredible!
Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel restaurant was very good, with friendly, efficient service. While i was there for a conference, we also had food with the conference. While conference food can some times be not so great, the food was very good.
We were travelling to the area after my dad was unexpectedly hospitalized, and booked a room through a discount website. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The inside does not match the outside of the facility. It felt upscale and comfortable. We booked a king room, and there was a nice sitting area with a couch. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean, and again felt upscale. There was also a mini bar, which we didn't use, but the option was nice. There is a bar and restaurant onsite, and they offer free breakfast in the morning. We didn't have time to take advantage of the pool area, or any other amenities, but they looked lovely. We would definitely stay here again, without hesitation.
Friendly staff that went above and beyond, clean, comfortable and updated rooms, comfortable bed and pillows, love that fact the rooms have Keurig's. Libby's has amazing appetizers, and dinners! Nice, large dog area, provided with clean up after your pet supplies.
I stayed there for business. A surprisingly well-planned out and comfortable facility. Nice staff. I'd definitely stay there again. The inner courtyard with pool, eating tables and whirlpool, was a boon on this beautiful summer stay.
BUT that's not why I slid this sucker down to 1 star. Let's begin: Decided to extend our stay in Marshfield but wanted to stay on the other end of town/closer to family. Cue HotelMarshfield.com. They had a room. Hooray! We booked it. Next day came, we checked out of the Holiday Inn (BAD MISTAKE), called Hotel Marshfield - gave them my name, said I was checking in blahdeblah & asked what time we could check-in. Apparently the guy didn't look us up as other places tend to do *when you give them your name* - gave us default answer at 3pm. No problem. Showed up at 3pm. Lori was working the front desk. Gave her my name, she couldn't find me. Gave her confirmation number - *showed her* the screenshots I took with my phone of the confirmation page. This is where things took a downhill turn. Look folks, I understand crap happens. I even get that they were overbooked, and while it does tick me off and frustrate me - What I don't get was the incessant questioning as to where I booked the reservation. Not sure if she was meaning to be condescending or not but we went round in circles repeatedly. Her asking the same question, her stating that "their website gives out nine digit confirmation numbers" repeatedly." That's great! But that's not what their site gave me - also I don't know their internal systems and policies. All I know is: a) I booked a room on their website b) she's not finding me in their system and now, c) she's just going to continue to repeat the issues without seeking to troubleshoot it - nor is she offering to try to help me locate another place to stay. I asked for the manager. Manager was making a bed. I waited. And waited. And waited a little more. Lori said "they had an engineer looking into it and seeing what happened with their site." I continued to wait, trying to sort out where to stay for the night for myself. (Of course Holiday Inn was now booked up.) Finally decided to give up. Lori was now absent from front desk, so I took the business cards for the managers from Amber, and left. I'm not looking to visit with the manager making the bed and never turning up. I'm honestly not even sure if she was told I was there, experiencing a pretty major issue & receiving no help (not even offer to attempt relocation), just a runaround. I'm planning on giving the general manager an earful. There seems to be a general lack of staff training among most of the places to stay here in Marshfield. Holiday Inn seems to be better prepared than the rest in this area. Best of luck to you if you book Hotel Marshfield online.
This hotel offers cleanliness, comfortable beds, outstanding service, and is an extremely beautiful hotel with an amazing outdoor seating & pool area! It includes a Restaurant & Bar that serve delicious food that is served by polite staff.
Very Enjoyable relaxing stay. Nice Supper. Decent drink prices. Nice location. parked just outside room with trailer. Nice temperature control. Need signs to front desk if you come in banquet entrance.
We stayed here for 15 days while visiting relatives in Marshfield. The room was nice and large and the breakfasts were filling every morning. They were full breakfasts and not just a continental breakfast. The hotel also has a bar and a restaurant. We know the people here now and they recognize us when we show up. Like family.
Restaurant and bar were awesome. Outdoor pool was great - like a little oasis. We were in town visiting family, and this was a perfect place for us to say. An upgrade from the holiday inn down the street.
The remodel of the hotel makes this an excellent location to stay. Just don't eat the food there. Very poor quality. They need to get that fixed. Liked the rooms, great friendly staff, good location...
Very clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. All the accommodations were excellent. The breakfast buffet was great. The rooms were quite and easy to access from the parking lot. We felt very safe.
The rooms are modern, clean, and the restaurant has above average food. The warm breakfast is pretty standard hotel food but is well maintained with friendly staff. The bar area is nicely done and the mid week trivia and live music seemed to pull people from their rooms and also locals to participate. During summer months the pool and hot tub area in the courtyard are nicely kept. I travel in the area for work several times a year and go out of my way to stay at Hotel Marshfield.
This is an interesting hotel. The rooms are a nice size and are clean and comfortable. The unusual feature is the minibar and display of liquor in the room. If I stayed here again I would ask that our room not have multiple bottles displayed in the room. It takes up valuable space and is a nuisance. The pool area was nice and outside which was nice in the warm weather, but there are fountains that make if difficult to swim. I heard multiple complaints from swimmers.
For a family wedding weekend! Friendly staff, good breakfast and nice pool. He hotel was recently renovated and everything was clean and neat. Hotel Marshfield is very handy for travel and events in town.
We were impressed by the friendly staff and outdoor pool facilities which were very family friendly. The complimentary breakfast has great variety and the hotel was well maintained. We also enjoyed the complimentary fruit-infused water, coffee, and books in the lobby for down time.
Stayed here for business travel in WI. Very unassuming on the outside, but inside is like a little oasis. Has a fantastic center courtyard with a great pool, pergola, fire pit, hot tubes etc. Enjoyed relaxing with a drink from the bar after a long day of travel. The rooms were quite, clean, and renovated with a modern touch. Will definitely stay here again!
Stayed here for a convention. Everyone was very polite and professional. Everything was very nice and clean. All encounters with staff were pleasant and they took care of matter immediately, not that there was really anything major.
We have had excellent experiences in the past at the Hotel Marshfield. This visit had some of those same great experiences, but also had some disappointments. The staff is always VERY friendly. The front desk helped with a surprise birthday cake we needed refrigerated. All staff members always great you with a smile. We especially want to say THANK YOU for the lady who helps with breakfast. The disappointing items include a slow drain in the shower. We brought it to staff attention everyday. It did not get any better during our stay. Also the remote did not seem responsive, maybe batteries need to be changed. And the last day, the maid walking in on us while we were getting ready - no knock or apology. Just an awkward situation.
Very happy with our stay! Nice spacious clean rooms, free breakfast, great amenities, such as pool, hot tubs and sauna. Great service and the room prices are very reasonable compared to other high quality hotel suites.
Rooms were very clean & spacious; Pool & Food were excellent; Staff very attentive & professional; would definitely recommend to family & friends to stay here! Very pleasant atmosphere & convenient to all of our activities.
You can't go wrong.. Rooms are clean, staff is wonderful... Close to downtown Marshfield. There is a restaurant at the hotel with lots of food options. The gym is open 24 hours and it was one of the nicest and cleanest hotel gyms I have been in. They do a great job catering to your needs.
The rooms are good, although lack microwaves, which would be nice. Breakfast was strictly marginal. I stayed 4 nights, and there was very little variation from the menu of bland, overcooked foods. Otherwise, nice place.
This is a nice hotel for the area. However they host many events, especially on weekends. The music is always to loud, the crowd is always loud and there is no help from the hotel staff in terms of keeping things quite. If your early to bed I suggest you check into the Holiday Inn because the Hotel Marshfield is ALWAYS loud at night with guest who disrespect others. No courtesy while walking the hallways and slamming doors are the biggest complaint from me. I was at this hotel for several months while working in Marshfield and would not recommend it, especially for a long term stay.
Wish I could of had as much fun at your hotel as I did in December of 2017, but your Bar can be kind of lonely without my favorite adult beverage. Restaurant food is still good and your rooms are still nice and your breakfast was still good , but you need to add Stella back to your Bar lineup. Bartender tried to tell me that no one drank it so you guys dropped it. Have you been in the Bar and tasted some of the dark beer and ipa stuff you sell - not so good! How many Monks you know been brewing beer since 1366 and doing a bad job at it.Step back up to the plate and put Stella back an we will stay with you again.
We had our daughter's wedding here and we were very pleased with everything. The staff was wonderful to work with and everything went without a hitch. We have been told by several people that attended the wedding that it was the best wedding they have been to in a long time and I believe a lot of that has to do with the wonderful staff we worked with.
This is, without question, the best hotel in the area. I travel throughout the state of WI and always look forward to staying at the Hotel Marshfield. They also have the best restaurant in town, and a free, hot breakfast for hotel guests.
The staff was very friendly, welcoming and accommodating to guest's request. The room was spacious and very clean. There is an in-room small fridge and an individual cup coffee maker, no microwave. The have an excellent hot breakfast with many options for all dietary restrictions. Very clean, fully stock and the food service staff very attentive. We ate in the restaurant for dinner and a different night had some drinks. The food and service was exceptional. They have the best “adult milkshakes” Grasshoppers and Brandy Alexander's. This is our go to hotel when in the Marshfield area!
I stay here whenever traveling to Marshfield on business. Rooms are usually quiet with low hallway noise, even when the hotel is full. Sitting near the pool in the evening is peaceful. Try the dilly chips at the restaurant- best appetizer.
Clean, comfortable suite. Accommodating staff. The workshop facilities that I attended at the hotel were very good, as well as the lunch provided. Very nice complimentary breakfast included with my room.
This place is one of the nicest hotels I have been too. Modern, clean, quiet, and very reasonably priced. Great restaurant. Breakfast was included too. Excellent menu. The pool area looked nice, but was not open yet. Look forward to returning.
Booked last minute for an overnight stay. Upscale feel at a reasonable price. Clean, well appointed room with convenient honor bar stocked with great choices. Very quiet room and very comfortable nee. Beautiful outdoor courtyard as well.
I frequently stay at this hotel when in town on family business - it's the best in town. This visit was to celebrate a family birthday party that I had arranged for the hotel to cater during my previous visit in March. The entire staff could not have been more helpful. The buffet lunch was outstanding, the prices reasonable and service impeccable. We had over 50 family members attend - all were greatly impressed, Out stay over the weekend was excellent as always. Room was very good, and check in and out was seamless.
We have stayed here before and have never been disappointed. When we come up here we plan on making Hotel Marshfield out our hotel of choice. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. It is close enough to the downtown area but yet far enough away.
I travel to the area frequently for business and Hotel Marshfield is my first choice. Everything about the hotel is excellent, and I look forward to the next time I have the opportunity to stay there.
We have stayed here before it is especially nice in the summer. The breakfasts are good and so is the service. It is easy to access downtown and the nearby small towns.. Next time we might rent a handicap room.
Very pleasant. Here for a work meeting. Pleasant staff. Very good food. Room very clean. Had friends in the area so they came to join me for dinner. They also recommended we eat at the hotel restaurant. So, even locals recommend this establishment. Music in the bar the night I was attending. Very fun. Would recommend to others traveling for work or pleasure.
Great room! Is it possible to have the older 4-cup coffee pot rather than the one cup coffee maker? The ones in our room made STRONG coffee. I also like the individual creamers, like you had in the room, rather than your newer dispenser.
Satisfactory stay. Stayed at hotel for a for a work conference. Room was clean and staff was friendly enough. Front desk person did a good job confirming how my billing was set up. Catering at the conference was better than I expected.
A 3 day conference can expose flaws in a hotel and conference facility...none noted. Friendly and attentive staff, comfortable sleeping and meeting rooms, great food made for an enjoyable stay. I've already recommended the Hotel Marshfield to my business colleagues.
Everything about this hotel is well thought out and well executed. Most importantly, the service of the staff is fantastic. They are genuine and they go out of their way to make sure you have an exceptional experience. If you have a chance to stay here, ask for Zaria or Emma as servers at the in house restaurant. They both did a wonderful job as I went to the restaurant several times this week. It was a great experience. I recommend the blackened chicken fettuccini. I couldn't recommend the hotel and the restaurant more!
This was a very clean hotel including the rooms, public restrooms, restraunt, conference rooms, etc. The included breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful and professional. I would highly recommend this hotel.
My husband and I stopped in for an early dinner before he performed at the Chestnut Center for the Arts. The food was great, arrived quickly and Emma was a wonderful, personable server. She was quite professional even in the face of a cheese cake dessert that did not turn out! It sounded like it would have been excellent, too. But her recommendations were all very good.
Good clean hotel, good breakfast buffet. Enjoyed our stay. Wish they had an indoor pool as our business travels are always in February. Fair prices in my opinion. building in process of repairing the windows and exterior stucco. otherwise well maintained.
I stayed for six months on business. Staff made it feel like my home away from home. Especially Kelly and Amber! Accommodations we're nice, housekeeping kept my place clean, and Libby's has excellent food.
I shopped around and this placce was the nicest with most ammenity for the price. The breakfast was good, and the drink deals weren't needed but nice. I was worried I wouldn't have space because I booked a smaller room, but it was well layed out. I was really impressed.
Everything is very clean and well designed. The staff are super friendly. There is a bar, restaurant and free breakfast with real eggs. There are 2 jacuzzis and a sauna in the courtyard open year round. They allow dogs and have EV charging which makes it perfect for us.
Stayed a night with wife and two young sons (1 & 3). Place was gorgeous, room was very well done, and breakfast was a good display. A little odd vibe there for us though as it is definitely a business person's hotel so our kids got some looks like they shouldn't be there like the people have never seen anyone eat scrambled eggs with their bare hands before. Kelly at breakfast area went out of her way to make our experience great and we thank her for taking care of us. All in all a nice place to stay.
Very nice hotel....Amber is an awesome bartender and Kelly hooked us up with delicious bacon for breakfast. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Convenient location and the restaurant has amazing food
Rooms were comfortable and updated. Kelly was awesome at making sure our stay was pleasant and the food was satisfactory. Which it was. Thank You for the bacon hookup Kelly :) Didn't try out the hot tub or sauna but it looked VERY appealing. Rooms were very spacious and reasonably priced.
Convenient location with the restaurant right there makes it a very nice place to stay. The workers in all positions are very pleasant and go out of their way to assist if necessary. I stay frequently and have never had a bad experience.
As always, everything regarding the roomfine. Unfortunately, the restaurant service was a little slow, as usual. There was no one to seat me, and it took some time before anyone noticed me. The food was okay.
I would rate this Hotel as excellent!!! Room was wonderful and bed was very comfortable. My only slight complaint was the room service food I ordered was very over salted and I really could not eat much of it at all. Otherwise, excellent room for a great price
Extremely pet friendly hotel! We stayed for our anniversary and the really made it feel like a special time for us - 2 room suite and a bottle of wine and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us!
I attended the Scrapbooking Luau at Hotel Marshfield. The event was great and the hotel was great!! Everyone was helpful, the hotel was clean and comfortable. Just Great!! I would recommend the hotel and the event to anyone!
Nice hotel, dog friendly, made reservation for quick overnight stay on our way north, at check in, front desk staff gave me a "doggy" welcome bag with biscuits, squeaky toy and poo bags! Great idea-- Room was clean, comfortable with even heat (temp was well below -0- outside). Ordered room service, had bruschetta and apple grape salad with shrimp-both delicious, quick service too.
This is our 3rd stay at Hotel Marshfield. In fact, I've wrote glowing reviews of them for our previous stays. Can't do it this time around. This is a nice hotel, clean, somewhat comfortable with a friendly staff. However there are some negatives that are starting to turn us away. The beds are just too HARD. I like a hard mattress, but this was so uncomfortable that I chose to sleep curled up on the love seat, rather than a 2nd nite in that bed. The bathtub in our room was in need of repair, as the porcelain on the floor of the tub was chipping away. What used to be an above average breakfast buffet, now can no longer even compete with a Hotel 8. Sorry to say. Will we stay here again....just not sure at this point. :(
loved everything about this hotel except for the breakfast. Food was not very tasty! Also, the hotel was somewhat expensive for a small town in Wisconsin. Other than that, we were impressed with how new and clean everything was.
The restaurant servers may be the worst I have ever encountered in my life! The overall hotel is fine, with clean rooms and Nice facilities. The beds are comfortable. The showers are not very good. In general, I would stay here again but try a restaurant outside of the hotel. However, I have not found a restaurant in Marshfield that has had good service!!!
Overall the hotel is very nice. It did seem like our room could of been dusted better. The shelves in the bathroom were very dusty. I have never stayed here when it was summer to use the pool or courtyard.
Wonderful, relaxing visit! Entire staff was courteous and friendly! Clean and comfortable! Very pet-friendly! Convenient location. Hotel Marshfield is our go-to hotel whenever we are in Marshfield. We definitely recommend Hotel Marshfield!
I enjoyed my stay very much, the only drawback was that the mattress in my room was too hard. But there isn't much you can do about that. I would also recommend a waffle machine for the breakfast buffet.
This was our 2nd time staying here. The hotel is lovely, if not a bit confusing to get around in. My biggest gripe is their breakfast. W spent 3 nights here and had breakfast on 3 mornings. Breakfast was exactly the same each morning. The only difference was they sprinkled cheese on the eggs on day 3, poured pancake syrup on the sausage & called it Maple Sausage, and the potatoes were the same potatoes that we had on days 1 & 2, only now they were swimming in an oil to soften them up. It was not very appetizing, to say the least. If this hotel did not have a restaurant on property, I wouldn't be so harsh with my criticism. But this hotel had a chef and they cater dinners there. We may reconsider our hotel options the next time we're in Marshfield.
Very good food, clean and great meeting space. I enjoy staying here when I am in town. This I my preferred hotel when I am in town on business. The meeting spaces are very nice and modern with all of the updated services.
We had booked 2 nights at Hotel Marshfield for my husband's surgery. His surgery was shorter than anticipated and he was released to go home early. We had passed the cancellation day/time, but the manager allowed us to cancel our second night so that we could leave and my husband could recover at home. The hotel was very clean, our room was comfortable, and we enjoyed an evening meal at the hotel's restaurant.
This hotel is newly remodeled and extremely clean and has many nice amenities such as Keurig coffee maker and mini bar in the room. Service was fast and polite. It was quiet. This will be my go-to hotel when I travel to Marshfield for business.
Stayed for business travel one night. Clean, modern room with outlets for devices etc. on night tables. Decent cable TV variety. Very nice room/suite with mini bar, bottle of wine and beverage options in frig (for extra charge of course-I did not partake). Very quick and friendly check-in. Express check-out option. Accepted state govt rate. Bed was firmer than I prefer and walls were a bit thin (heard some noise from next room and above) but no more so than most hotels.
I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the décor in the hotel. My room was very nice as well. Hairdryer and extra goodies incase I forgot something was appreciated. I liked that you are trying to be clean and asked about the towels and linen. If I had been staying another night I would have opted for not having new towels and linen. Food was very good and the Wednesday night music was an extra special surprise. I'm so glad the Holiday Inn was full so I was able to experience a better hotel.
First off, do not judge a book by it's cover!! Yes, from the outside this hotel looks like an older outdated Holiday Inn. But enter the doors into the lobby and it's completely and very tastefully renovated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were average sized with two queen beds. The rooms are also recently renovated in the same fashion as the lobby. We visited in winter so I cannot comment on the pool/hot tub. This hotel has a "green" initiative, so you have to leave one key in the room in order for the heat/AC to work. We were only there for one night so it wasn't a big deal at all, but I could see that getting annoying for an extended stay if the family is going separate ways. The breakfast was only OK, I was surprised there wasn't a waffle/pancake/french toast option for the kids. Otherwise the rest of the options were good.
The hotel staff was extremely rude to us upon check in. They did not explain anything to us. When we asked questions they just rolled their eyes and looked at each other. We were in town because of a family members surgery at the local hospital and didn't need to be treated so terribly at the hotel. We will never stay here again !
Beds are uncomfortable. Very hard! I also didn't care for the fact that the heT wouldn't turn on until you put your key in the slot. The room was ice cold and I had to sit with my coat on until it warmed up. That's ridiculous!
Awesome hotel with super friendly staff. It made for an awesome wedding and enjoyable stay! Banquet captain was so pleasant to work with and the house keepers greeted everyone with a smile and were happy to be there!
Great Hotel. Thank you. This hotel is near perfect! Great location, attractive public rooms, comfortable and spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, attentive service, good breakfasts and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Well done to all concerned!
We arrived 2 hours early and took a chance to see if we could go to our room. The kind staff said "Yes". What a relief that was, so that my husband could relax in the room while I attended a workshop. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was tasty, and the onsite restaurant had fabulous food. We didn't stay up late, but some friends came back from a dance late and, as I heard, they reopened the bar just for them.
Great hotel for a great price! I love the contemporary design, cleanliness and attention to detail! The new owners renovation is spectacular! I will be staying here again on my next visit to Marshfield!
We travelled her for a wedding in the area and were glad this hotel was recommended to us. It is up-to-date, very nicely decorated, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast, nice restaurant. Good value for the price. Head and shoulder above chain hotels.
I would stay there again. The rooms were very clean and the bed was oh so comfortable!!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to co-workers, friends, and family. The price was also very affordable.
We took a couples trip and stayed here. The hotel was clean and well taken care of. We stayed in a king room and the bed was so awful by the second night there we could barely move in the morning. After the first night we requested a different room and they said the beds were the same in all the rooms. Just the bed alone would make me never stay at this hotel again.
Our family of three had a wedding to attend in nearby Neillsville and we were looking for the best hotel option in Marshfield. The TripAdvisor ratings did not lie. This place is great. They have turned this property into a boutique type hotel. The styling is warm and modern. There are plenty of room options and we slept well. Upon checking in we were handed free passes for breakfast and free drink coupons for the hotel bar. The included breakfast was much better than most. The onsite restaurant also had a menu indicative of a big city. Did I mention that it is first floor dog friendly? The only negative for some would be that the heated pool and sauna are outside in the courtyard. However, the weather this weekend was in the 50s and many were enjoying it and the provided patio heaters. Winters won't provide that option.
we had our hotel stay on 10/7/17. we were attending Alyana and Eric Ratsh's wedding. the Hotel was easy to find. check in was very smooth and efficient. the ceremony was in one of the ballrooms and was beautiful. the meal was very tasty and served quickly. the staff was very accommodating and helpful with getting our toddler situated at the table. the whole stay was comfortable and relaxing and we will for sure use your hotel again if we are in need of a room in Marshfield.
I am a frequent guest at Hotel Marshfield, and as always, my stay was great. The pool area was relaxing and clean. My grandchildren really enjoy it. The breakfast buffet they offer is fair, they need to work on the scrambled eggs!
this is our second time staying here - in fact we went a little out of our way to spend a night here recently! The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, I like that we can bring our small dog along with us, the breakfast was very good and the pool area.....outstanding!
I recommend this hotel for the updated interior, the friendly staff, and the quality of the accommodations. This was my first visit to this hotel, but plan to return in the future. The facility was quiet and comfortable.
The entire facility is extremely clean and well-maintained. The friendliness of staff cannot be beat. The food served during the breaks of the confernce was unbelievable--especially the "stuffed" muffins!
When checking in the girl was very unfriendly. The bar was waaaaaaay understaffed. The lunch served at the meeting was terrible. Everyone mentioned it. The shower in the room above me was leaking into my bathroom and there was no microwave in the room.
This quiet hidden gem is on my radar for future visits. There was a variety of food in the restaurant, from the plentiful hot breakfast to the evening meal. The courtyard is a beautiful feature, with a heated pool and gas fire pit area.
Best in Marshfield. Best outdoor pool, best buffet. Clean and quiet. Modern. I would highly recommend. It is also affordable! Go in the summer and enjoy the great outdoor pool. It feels like a vegas pool yard.
No complaints. The room decor was modern, sauna and workout facilities up-to-date and everything worked well. The breakfast was satisfactory as well. We thought the location was great and will use the Hotel when we return to this area of the state.
This hotel was renovated into a more modern hotel. The decor is modern and nicely done. We were here for a wedding, and stayed the night. The banquet hall was nice. The room was nice, however could have been cleaned better. Also, the wall paper was coming off the walls. The breakfast was okay. It's like every other complimentary hot breakfast at a hotel. I'm fine with that as long as there is good coffee.....but the coffee here was not good. They only had powder creamer...yuck. Overall, it was an okay stay. Maybe a tad overpriced.
Overall experience was ruined by the afore mentioned vandalism. First time in Marshfield. Bar staff and wait staff were friendly. Facility is nice. pool is nice. Policeman was nice. Facility for WMCA Board meeting was the correct size. Food at the WMCA evening hospitality events was good.
I was a little concerned at first. But.., I was truly impressed once I entered the Hotel Marshfield. I will make a confirmed business stop. Very nice, immaculately clean, excellent, attentive staff and pretty good menu as well. I have stayed at hotels priced twice as much that were significantly lower quality. Good find, I was really pleased.
I highly recommend the Hotel Marshfield. The hotel in beautiful, the staff is wonderful and it has an amazing pool and workout room. Everything I could ask for in a hotel and a great price. I will definitely stay here the next time I visit Marshfield.
Too long to check in . We came at 12 noon . Check in is at 3 PM . We got the room after 3:30 When I booked the room it said we get a sleeper sofa . When we look at the room no sleeper sofa. We complain and got a room with a sleeper sofa , but by then the day was shot.
in a very small town ... this was an upscale place... great rooms and amenities... breakfast was a buffett but cooked... not pre packaged... great space and wide open from lobby to bar to dining... great energy ...
Despite the fact that this is a nice Hotel in a good location, the service does not reflect the costs. Our experience at the Marshfield Hotel was that the management and staff come first. Unfortunately, I suggest booking somewhere else.
Love staying here when we visit family in the area. Our kids love the pool area, the fire at night, and having their own room/TV. Breakfast was included and was ok. Our room wasn't ready, even though it was after check in but they gave us 2 drink coupons for the bar.
Stayed here for business. Great hotel and pool area. Also had dinner and drinks in the restaurant lounge very nice and reasonable. the hotel is a little bit out from town so would need to drive to other restaurants or bars. this is ok because you have everything you need at the hotel.
The hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good ( scrambled eggs, potatoes, muffins, toast, cereal). The heating/ AC system was a bit odd, so be sure to ask how to turn it on when you arrive because the directions aren't the best in the room. It is a dog friendly hotel, and that is HUGE!! Usually dog friendly hotels are run down and schetchy, but this one was lovely by comparison. My only dislike was the bed.....it was too hard for my back, but other people may really enjoy a firm mattress
We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Marshfield. Lovely accommodations and excellent service! The chef even made my daughter her own order of scrambled eggs when he heard that she was a vegetarian! The rooms were very nicely appointed and the entire premises was clean and fresh!
What a great stay! I was greeted by a nice looking young man named bradley at the front desk. He was so professional and kind. Made sure i had everything I needed. Only complaint I have is housekeeping, they left a wet used towel on the back of the door. Once again I met with Bradley the front desk, I could tell he felt genuinely bad and offered me a discount card to libbys. Libbys food was amazing and the staff was fantastic, especially this young man named nash. Overall my stay was fantastic, other then the towel issue. Bradley and nash were fantastic, and i recommend this hotel. Beautiful
Quality hotel, great location, friendly professional people...sleek, classy.....ten thumbs up! Will defiantly recommend to others...will return! Beautiful rooms, quality all the way! Fantastic breakfast included with stay.....loved my stay!
Handicap room was not handicap. Sink was too high toilet too low. Room too small to turn wheelchair around. Had to call for a shower chair Handicap rooms should be st least 600-900 square feet for mobility. Josh was very helpful at front desk. I was glad I had a family member with me to get around the room.
We stayed here for just one night. Hotel is almost new and well appointed. It is also very clean. Good breakfast and internet. Overall very satisfied with the experience and I will stay here again if needed. Downtown and Marshfield clinic is about 10 min drive. Excellent service too.
I'm telling you Jess was amazing at dinner in this amazing restaurant inside Hotel Marshfield. This is an amazing place to stay and eat. Ask for Jess. Earth friendly and fun with live music Clean hotel with upgraded everything. They also have wine in the room!!!!
What attracted me the most when booking was the outdoor space.. n it didn't disappoint at all.. after going to our room which was very clean, modern, spacious and very updated we enjoyed the heated pool and lounged around the big patio area which has lots of lounging chairs.. it rained that night so we couldn't enjoy the outdoor fire pit, but we will next time we go. The free breakfast is great with lots choices n sitting pool side while eating breakfast was perfect. Also the zoo is steps away with lots of walking trails.. you won't be disappointed if you stay here..
Was a wonderful hotel for the price. We stayed in the suite and it was great. Just wished the pool was open later into the night. Did not like getting sent out at 10:00 PM. Would recommend this to anyone.
Had a very nice stay here. Will stay again. Staff was great the out door pool, fire area and seating was really nice. Breakfast was just ok, very few things were gluten free and most was junk food, which almost everyone but me likes I'm sure. The creamer machine.... it was powdered milk. I skipped coffee all together because of this. Please some cold half and half or cream in a carafe really isn't too much to ask. I did ask the staff and was presented with ultra pasteurized non refrigerated creamer cups. I had thought the breakfast would be nicer since there was a restaurant here.
This hotel is awesome! Beautiful decor. Clean. Great breakfast. The pool area is amazing: heated pool, 2 hot tubs, sauna, beautifully landscaped. A great get-away! Great location for a mini-vacation. Close to restaurants and a great ice cream stand.
Meeting friends for event. Loved furnishings, staff very helpful, food good and best of all beds were comfy, and room design perfect. Especially appreciated cubbys in bathroom to spread out my stuff. Rooms temp maintained perfect temp and not loud when cooling, nice view, easy parking, and quiet so we slept well. Had afternoon meal at Libby's it was perfect. Breakfast was good but not as yummy as our noon meal.overall we will only stay here from now on and tell others too. It was really nice our room was ready a little early and that sealed deal for me!
Great room, ok bed comfort, spacious desk, nice couch, I'm not impressed with the keurig coffee maker but one was there if you like them, nice selection honor bar, great items to add on and have delivered to your room, (milk and cookies, chocolate covered strawberry, fresh fruit, nice selection offered!) Free wifi, free shuttle around town, refrigerators in room. Fantastic pool area! Big outdoor pool, hot tub, sauna, sunshine, a little breeze. Awesome! We enjoyed a drink around the fire pit. It's a great place to stay at a reasonable price. We will be back! I can't wait to go back!
Great hotel Great value stayed there to go to the zoo and eat out was within walking distance to both. Went to sleep in a very comfortable bed and room was very clean and modern. Breakfast was very good.
I love squeaky-clean hotels and I have never been disappointed here. Very nicely updated property. Nice outdoor pool. Breakfast area was nice. Many interesting things to do In Marshfield with children.
Great hotel! Very spacious handicapped accessible premier suite! Excellent free breakfast choices! Convenient to the back door for walking our 2 small dogs. We especially enjoyed the in room Keurig coffeemaker and endless supply of free coffee k-cups! We will stay again the next time we are in Marshfield.
Comfortable rooms, great pool and sauna, beautiful courtyard, and great people. This hotel is an unexpected delight that goes beyond expectations. The staff is great and food is delicious. I recommend the mediterranean salad with shrimp. Music on Wednesday nights as well.
Great place to stay with kids and pets. The two bedroom suite was nice. Bathroom was clean.Kids liked the pool. Breakfast was wonderful (oatmeal was a favorite of all). The location by Wildwood Park and Zoo is ideal.
Spent three days and two nights in Marshfield and looked forward to coming back to the hotel each evening. Everything was just wonderful. The staff is outstanding! The in-house restaurant is superb. Plenty of free parking to include space for vehicles with trailers. Heated pools and outdoor jacuzzi. Free wifi worked everywhere on the property.
We stopped on day 1 of our motorcycle vacation. The hotel is very nice. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bed was great. We used the outdoor hot tub and enjoyed the pool area. It has seating, gas fire pits, tables, lounges, 2 hot tubs and a pool. The bar/restaurant gave good service and food and drinks were delicious. I had a very good fish fry. The next day they had a complementary breakfast buffet which included hot and cold items. We were able to walk to the little Marshfield Zoo and enjoyed that. Was a great stay and I was impressed with this property and its staff.
Excellent facility. Great bed, slept really well. Great room, looked nice and was neat and clean. Honor bar was a pleasant surprise and coffee maker in the room was appreciated. Hot breakfast in the morning was a great treat and staff was very accommodating, even to arranging cheese-less scrambled eggs for a lactose intolerant daughter.
Amazing ballrooms, pool area, breakfast (even for Low Carb Keto eaters), rooms and staff! Staff was very attentive to wedding reception needs and addressed our requests immediately. The lighting is amazing and the waitstaff was very efficient in getting all the food out to the wedding guests timely. Clean up after eating was not disturbing to conversation either. Really FIRST CLASS all the way! We had a double queen suite and it was HUGE! We even had a dishwasher and a full set of dishes if we needed them. Honor bar in room was very convenient. Hotel is easy to get to and on the main road. Anything you needed at the last minute could be found on that street. If we didn't have family in the very immediate area, we would be back again! Can't beat the service!
My family lived Hotel Marshfield! The staff was friendly and accommodating when we called to make our reservation, and during check-in. The room was nice, clean, well furnished and comfortably slept our family of six. The pool was absolutely beautiful - definitely the highlight of our stay! The complimentary breakfast was also great. We will be back the next time we are visiting Marshfield!
Beautiful hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. Relaxing poolside space. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Lobby was grand with lots of seating. Nice breakfast buffet and good coffee.
I highly recommend Hotel Marshfield. The property is clean and updated. The pool area is beautiful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing. The chef even came out to our table to help me select items to accommodate my dietary requirements. This is a high-end property at a very reasonable price.
Wonderful staff, nice breakfast, beautiful decor throughout hotel. Interesting pictures in rooms and in lobby. The only thing to change was in bathroom such as adding safety bars in shower and counter space needed.
The Hotel was pleasantly spectacular with great rooms, service, and food. I stayed two nights for a wedding and it was great. If I'm ever in the area, I'll be sure to stay at Hotel Marshfield again. The food was excellent and staff was very friendly.
From looking at the outside of this hotel you would never know how beautiful it is inside. We were not sure about staying here until we walked in. Very welcoming front desk, the room was very nice as well as the amenities. Great ice cream drinks as well.
My family and I came to this restaurant for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The food and ambiance were great, but the best part of our visit was by far the service. The servers and bartenders were all very nice and accommodating, but our actually server, Nash, was incredible. He was professional and courteous but fun and inviting and he really made our visit great. We will be back!
I thoroughly enjoyed my 4 night stay at Hotel Marshfield. Everyone was very friendly. Rooms are clean and spacious. The pool area is nice and clean with plenty of sitting area. My only complaint would be the breakfast...not the best, but I didn't starve! I would definitely recommend staying there....great location for a good price!!
We came here to be with my girlfriends parents as her mother passed away. Knowing the family would all be here we decided to get a room here at the last moment. So happy we did. What a beautiful hotel. I've stayed at some of the big name chains (look at my reviews) and I've had nothing as good as this. All around this place is Awesome! New, updated, luxurious, comfortable, and just really cool. Highly recommend
Who knew Marshfield had such a great Hotel! The room and surroundings were very well maintained. Outside heated pool was sparkling. The food was delicious. I wish the weekend complimentary breakfast was offered until noon, at least on Sunday. That would have been nice.
Hotel Marshfield is a "10". Very well kept. Great staff. The hotel restaurant (Libby McNeill's) is out standing. Best fried cheese curds in Wisconsin. I would highly recommend staying there if you are visiting central Wisconsin.
This is easily one of the nicest hotels I've had the pleasure of staying at. The rooms were spacious, with a large TV, comfortable bed and furniture, and a large desk to work at. There is poolside dining and a fire pit outside to enjoy on a nice day. The food is phenomenal and reasonably priced, a rare combination for hotels from what I've seen! Our server, Miranda, was exceptional. She was extremely attentive and accommodating, even coming to the hot tubs to take our drink orders as the night went on. If you ever find yourself visiting Marshfield, book a hotel here and ask for Miranda when you dine in!
The Hotel Marshfield is truly a gem in central Wisconsin. It is a 5 star hotel with a 5 star restaurant and top notch staff that I have only experienced in expensive big city hotels in the past. Everything is top notch from the decor to the food to the staff to the little story about the hotel elevator. I loved my 2 nights there and would highly recommend staying at this hotel if you are ever in central Wisconsin.
Very, clean, quiet and comfortable. Will stay again. We visited the zoo right next door. Breakfast was very good. Happy that they serve a hot breakfast. Hot tub was nice. Didn't use the outdoor pool, too cold outside during our stay. Great Mexican Restaurant just down the road. Easy access to the main roads, shopping, dinning and attractions.
This place might not look like anything special from the outside, but that's ok. It's not a book, so don't judge it by its cover. Excellent accommodations. Take advantage of the free shuttle service until 9pm. Pool, hot tub, sauna - all great. If you drink, go to the bar. If not, still go to eat. Lovely food. Wednesday is wing night with live music. The buffalo sauce isn't too hot, so if you like super spicy go somewhere else, otherwise, go here. The best. Amazing. Everyone agrees.
This was a great place to stay. It was close to restaurants, walking trails and activities. The only bad thing is my training ended at 5pm and that is when many of the shops closed so was not able to shop.
My wife and I stayed here for business and it is very nice. I am sick of the chain hotels and usually we stay at Wyndham properties but this place is much better and much more affordable... The room was clean and new, the staff was warm and welcoming, and we were could park close to our room. We will be back again when we visit Marshfield!
I was pleasantly surprised to see you accept pets. I will definitely keep you in mind for our next trip. Love knowing if I have to bring my dogs I still have a wonderful place to stay. Thank you Our stay was comfortable & staff was wonderful. We appreciate your attentiveness.
Didn't know what to expect but have been pleasantly surprised all along. Front desk staff was nice, room is very clean and good size, and the pool area is lovely. Restaurant food is reasonably priced and a decent variety of food is featured on the menu.
Accommodations were clean and adequate. Food was very good however dinner order came late. Room was warm also the system for how to control heating/cooling should be better explained. Locations was easy access. Nice park nearby. Convenient for stores.
The Marshfield Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The registration staff is friendly and welcoming. The wait staff at breakfast was cheerful and attentive. The bar tenders were fast. The Hotel was clean and our room was very clean. The floor plan, beds, bar, TV and bathroom was a well planned design. I would recommend the Marshfield Hotel to my friend and colleagues.
We had a business training at your hotel and would recommend it again. Very clean and updated rooms and helpful staff. The complementary breakfast buffet was absolutely terrific and a much welcomed surprise.
Great customer service, beautiful and unique interior, and good food and wine. My room was very clean and comfortable. Well priced, too, especially with the week day discount. It is an unusually great find in a small town!
Came down for a business certification class Beautiful hotel!! Friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and amazing outdoor patio and pool area! I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the marshfield area!
Hotel Marshfield's attractive VIP rate included a pleasant staff, accommodating service, large, clean, attractive rooms, good food options, and hot-tub therapy for an overnight get-away right in our hometown!
We stay at Hotel Marshfield every time we travel to Marshfield, and continue to be impressed with the hotel facility itself, its meeting facilities, and its staff. We will definitely be staying there again!
Having stayed in this facility over the course of 7 weeks in less than 6 months I can say this place is doing all the right things. In winter (my experience) they have the grounds cleaned up and salted as needed, the restaurant is great, the bar offers micro brews, and the sauna & hot tubs were open all winter long. Wednesdays music in the lounge was always a nice stay'cation feel.
The hotel was nice, the rooms were good but the beds were absolutely awful, it felt like we were sleeping on the ground. We got awful sleep. At least get somewhat comfortable beds. Staff was nice at least.
This hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly. It has good parking. The food was good. My bed was a bit harder than I like, but others would probably find it just fine. Breakfast was good.
Everyone was helpful and friendly. Up to date and comfortable environment. We have stayed here a number of times when visiting family and it is consistently good. The breakfast food is average, as hotel breakfasts go.
Just a great stay. Facilities are all well maintained, the breakfast selection stands out. The real plus is the staff, all friendly and efficient. This is a well run hotel and the staff all left us with the impression that they were happy to be there and to do whatever they could to make the stay a pleasant experience.
The hotel was nice but the room wasn't clean. When you're charging 4 star rates in a 2 star town- a room free of dust, with clean handles & no spit spots on the bathroom mirror from the previous guest is appreciated.
Very Nice. Clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet with hot food included. Pleasant courtyard with fire pit to sit around and visit with friends. Friendly staff. Also, excellent restaurant in the hotel. Could of used a microwave in the room for heating old coffee when working late. Over very good. Recommend.
Great hotel, comfortable beds, good location, staff helpful and friendly, the food in the hotel resturant was good and the people at the front desk were helpful, both in person and talking to them over the phone.
Great Service, the staff was very friendly. Check in and Check out was very efficient. The rooms were very nice with comfy beds. Included in the price was excellent breakfast buffet. I would definitely stay here again.
High end hotel atmosphere, great place for a wedding, spacious reception area, service was excellent One crabby women bartender at reception before dinner, food was dry, both chicken and fish. Wish you had an indoor pool, also was surprised to see so many dogs, we usually don't stay where there are animals , I would not like a room dogs had stayed in.
I stayed at Hotel Marshfield for business, I was originally planning on staying there for the duration of my thirteen week business trip. However due to the lack of customer service and overall hospitality my stay was cut to five days. The first thing that went wrong was on check in I was supposed to be booked in a studio suite, but upon check in I was told that the suite was not available for my entire stay and therefore I was placed in a double queen room. I was also told that there would be a significant price change for the suite and that they would need to speak to someone authorized from my company to negotiate the price and make the changes. I took the managers information and forwarded her information on to my company. The next day after work I ask the "gentleman" at the from desk if he had heard anything in regards to my room switch and he rudely states no while not even making eye contact. I go to my room to find that house keeping neglected to remove any trash from my room and left the ice bucket full with the bag of water. The next morning as I leave I ask the front desk to make sure housekeeping empties my trash. As I return that evening I stop at the front desk I ask for an update regarding my room and still receive no information but "we're working on it". The next day I am informed by my company that the change will not occur for this leg of my trip which was a total of twenty-three days, so that evening I ask the man at the front desk if he could send someone to my room to remove the items from the refrigerator so that I may store my own items for the remainder of the trip, I also ask if I could get more bags for the ice bucket as it had not been changed or emptied in three days. I returned to the room to find the items removed, which I appreciated however the ice bucket was still full of water and the bags just place on top. The final straw occurred the following morning as I was leaving for work, I over hear the two women at the front desk talking loudly how "she was complaining about her trash not being taken out and her room not being cleaned" and as soon as I made eye contact with the woman talking she looked like she saw a ghost. I left that work feeling very concerned about the way I was being treated at this establishment and by the fact that not only are the staff rude, but talking negative about paying customers. That evening when I returned I asked to speak to the manager, to inform her of what had occurred, and that I felt very uncomfortable at this establishment and the behavior of her staff was unprofessional. I was told that she would investigate the situation and talk to her staff, and then miraculously I could be moved to a suite for the last week of my stay. This was the worst hotel stay of my life, the decor and hotel looks nice on the exterior. But the rude staff and lazy housekeeping cancel out every good thing this place has going for them. The one and only good thing about this hotel is the restaurant and its staff, they were all friendly and helpful. The front desk could learn a lot from them on how to be hospitable to all customers not just ones with a particular skin color. At the end of the day I cut my stay short and would not recommend this place to anyone!
Great place, great service. Everyone was very friendly. I didn't have any problems when checking in or out. everyone i spoke to was very friendly. the breakfast was amazing. we had dinner down in the diner and the wait staff was amazing.
Very nice place, enjoyed my stay, but be sure if you want rooms next to each other get it in writing! Clean rooms, friendly staff. Business areas well done and pleasant. Lulu the elevator is slow but cute story!
Have stayed at Hotel Marshfield multiple times in the past several months and have had all positive experiences. The restaurant food is very good and the location, while on the outskirts, is quiet and close to the zoo, park and downtown.
lovely hotel. too bad the amenity that lead me to stay there, the sauna, was out of operation. Even though less than 24 hours earlier it was specifically working and "really cool and I would love it" (per their front desk rep).
Very new hotel. Clean, open concept, very friendly staff. Nice pool area and the weather allowed us to have a cocktail while sitting at the pool. I was there for business and everything that was needed was there for us which makes the meetings go a lot smoother, and therefore a lot quicker.
Very nice place. Great respite at the end of the day much appreciated since we were in town with an ill family member in the hospital. We didn't need another source of stress and the hotel took good care of us.
we were there for our sons wedding and everything was done very nicely staff was very helpful rooms were clean food was good staff was very friendly its not to far from downtown Marshfield the zoo is very close its quite even when busy
A very lovely and spacious room, 2 Queen Beds. Hotel is very Quiet :) Very clean room and very clean at the hotel overall. Staff very courteous. Nice restaurant with reasonable prices and food was outstanding. Easy to get to the hotel. Nice bar on site.
The Hotel Marshfield always presents clean sharp rooms and efficient and polite staff. The real plus for me is the nice restaurant in the hotel. Once I arrive I do not need to leave. The food is outstanding and the bar has great options. I have never had a poor meal or unclean room.
I love staying here. No matter how busy, it is quiet. The evening staff is welcoming. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The wifi is consistent for work and streaming. The mattresses are very comfortable. The location is a little out of the way but not enough to deter me from staying there.
This is probably the 5'th time I've stayed here and it's always business so having the bar and restaurant on site with great food is huge on those days when you get done doing what you're doing and you get back to the hotel and don't want to go anywhere. It's just an overall great place to stay.
Met a lot of new people thanks to the bartenders. Jen was absolutely amazing and accommodating throughout our entire dining experience, she will be the reason we return. Loved the cleanliness of the room, amenities available and friendliness of the staff. Amazing inviting and relaxing environment. Only wish the courtyard was open later than 9pm, especially on the weekends, as it would have been perfect night to sit by the fire but by the time we requested it we were informed it was too late. Only caused us to sit at the bar longer, which wasn't exactly a horrible thing.
We enjoyed our short stay at the Hotel Marshfield. Everything about it was nice- people, rooms, beds, pool, restaurant, bar, and especially the food! No complaints! Oh, but the outside of the hotel could use a bit of sprucing up- but never judge a book by it's cover right?!
The room was clean and linens were crisp. The hotel, in whole, is modern and well decorated. All staff was quick to render assistance whenever asked a question. There was always a staff member close by. The meals were very good.
