Nice rooms, everything was clean and in working order. Any amenities we used were in working order. The staff was very nice and welcoming. My only issue was that I had to have my key redone since having it near my phone demagnetized it. The desk clerk was very helpful and took care of it right away.
It was ok. I would not stay here again. I have stayed at many Best Western Plus hotels and this definitely does not seem like a plus. The whole second floor and room smell musty and wet. The bathroom corner was gross and really needs a good cleaning. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and I love Best Western Plus. The lady at check in was very nice.
On May 25th night, my husband and I stayed at Best Western Plus Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites, Leesburg. When we woke up and we both got bite by bugs (many places). We founds 3 bugs on the pillows. I showed the front desk the pictures of the bugs and where I got bite, and I was told that someone will contact me about this issue. I trust her and left after checking out. However, after a day, no one contacted me. I called the front desk again and was told that I have to email to report this issue. I sent an email with pictures and video of the bugs. Next day I got an email saying they can give me 3000 points that worth $25 to compensate what happened. I declined it. The hotel needs better efforts for pest control and also solve client's issue as soon as they could. I hope no more clients got bite by the bugs which is one the worst things happening during a vacation.
We had a sleeper sofa room for my daughter and it was super gross. We tried another room and it was just as gross. The shower didn't work. Had to use another room the next morning and the night front office staff is “eh”. I was excited to get out of there.
We've been to the area a few times but always chose the wrong hotel. We decided to try this one and were so glad we did. The hotel is in a great location, easy to get to. We had a king size suite. The room was spacious and very clean. The beds and sofa were very comfortable. We slept great, and a bonus was that it was very quiet. The breakfast is awesome. Eggs, sausage, waffles, breads, muffins, cereals and a variety of beverages. The price was good too. We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area.
Chain of Lakes Best Western Plus may not be in the most idealistic traveling location other than for a pinpointed specific reason would one be traveling to small, quaint Lessburg, FL. With that much already been said, I must say the ENTIRE staff at Chain of Lakes Best Western Plus is their true shining asset. The staff us curteous, fair, polite, understanding, patient, attentive, diligent, dedicated, focused, pleasant, timely, and above all else and .most importantly, caring. Check in experience is seamlessly simplistic and easy. Rooms are nicely decorated with 110% working functional amenities and luxuries. Water heater is super efficient (heated up within literally two seconds to steaming hot at all fixtures). Wifi is top notch for business or leisure purposes. Breakfast is diverse and fresh with something that will appeal to all walks of life. Check out was quick, easy, deposit return was instantaneous being as they only accept cash deposits to alleviate holds from banks or creditors during these 'inflated' budget minded times for some. They offered 'happy hour' with two beers or wine glasses of your choice daily as well at this location (my wife and myself don't drink, they handled this response very well and with dignity). Overall great location if you are dispatched to Leesburg, FL for a specific business purpose or endeavor or family reasons. As I stated before the true best asset of this property is hands down the staff (especially day and night desk staff) they are the shining light of this property.
The whole staff were so nice! Anytime i had any questions..they went out of their way to answer. The rooms were cleaned each day..very well done & cared for. The entrance can be a little tricky. Depends on which way you are going. The side entrance off Griffin Rd is not marked so you dpn,t know where to turn
Reception staff are genial and capable. The room was comfortable, clean, well appointed. The hotel includes a number of good amenities. Breakfast was on par with the hotel's very reasonable rates. Central location can't be beat, though getting in and out from 14th St / US 441 can be quite challenging; better to use 14th Street. The real problem is the internet, which is really bad.
This place was exactly what we needed after all the stress of learning so much at the workshop. It was quiet, clean and easy to get to. It was nice not having to go out first thing in the morning for breakfast, there was a lovely one provided downstairs.
We will start with the greeting at the front desk. Lloyd and Nick were both very cordial and helpful. Having said that the experience went downhill from there. The lobby area was extremely messy and dated, the room, the same with a piece of furniture in an HP accessible room that didn't make any sense at all with no recliner. No hot water Luke warm at the very best! Dingy old curtains, furniture to the point where it was almost depressing. Feels like the mattress has never been changed since it was put in originally. we both woke up with backaches. Went to the breakfast area, took one look at it and left to go to a restaurant for breakfast. Look like the turkey bacon they just been cooked and then thrown in the container and did not look fully cooked. The presentation was anything but presentable. I know these hotels are individually owned, and of course the speed of the boss is the speed of the gang. I also believe that a franchisee is responsible for maintaining certain standard set by the franchise. I would hate to think that an inspector from the franchise would pass this hotel. The fact that it wasn't failed, and improvements demanded, reflect poorly on the franchise of best Western itself. This is the third such experience we've had, and the last one. We will find a new franchise that takes pride, and reflects hospitality as it should be. Shame on best Western, obviously, a franchise that is in decline.
We were in town for a memorial and my son from Miami had gotten a room here ,we decided to stay overnight. Getting 2 rooms last minute was so easy and quick . The staff were all so friendly and made staying here enjoyable.
I traveled by myself to visit a good friend in Leesburg, FL. I felt very safe in and around the hotel. The hotel was modern, clean, and a great value. There was a fresh breakfast every morning with a variety of hot and cold foods. The staff was very friendly and polite. There is a nice outdoor pool, and plenty of parking. I will definitely stay here again. The hotel is also pet-friendly.
I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Hotel, All the staff was pleasant. The rooms were clean, breakfast was good. I was satisfied with the whole experience and would stay there again when I am in town.
Staff were friendly entire place was very clean. Checkout was convenient. Rooms were quiet. Wish we had gotten there earlier to use the pool and hot tub. We will be staying again during our next trip to Leesburg.
Stopped here for one night. Really pleased with this hotel. The staff were amazing. We had a fast check in and check out. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning and the hot shower were exactly what we needed. Quiet night even though the hotel was full. The breakfast buffet selection was plentiful and well taken care of by two hostesses. The price was reasonable.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my kids for a basketball tournament. The hotel is older and located in an older part of town; newer shops and restaurants are about a 10-minute drive. Rooms were spacious and quiet. There is a basic breakfast at 6:30 (waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc.). The employees were pleasant and helpful. If you're looking for a budget-friendly place with no frills, consider staying here.
This hotel is just over 10 years old. It is well kept, and clean. Has pool and hot tub. Hot breakfast. Beds were firm and great! Would stay here again. Has fitness center. Staff was friendly and helpful.
Room amenities were ok, but breakfast quality was just poor. Coffee was not drinkable and pastries were very low quality. A day earlier we had stayed at another BW were they quality of the stay was far superior.
We chose this hotel for price and proximity to The Villages. It is definitely no frills, vinyl floors that were not well cleaned in the room. We opted for no service while there as we were just using it to sleep, so we dealt with dusty/dirty floors. There were tiny ants in the bathroom sink and one on the night stand. Also something skittered out from under the bathroom trash can when I turned the light on in the middle of the night. Coffee was terrible as was the free, included breakfast.
Very nice hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. The breakfast was great. My kids left a couple things in the room and they contacted immediately and sent them in the mail to us. Appreciate that very much. Would def stay here again
This was a super clean hotel and the decor was beautiful! It had a very nice FL feel to it and you could tell the hotel was clean from top to bottom. And, when this hotel says they have a hot breakfast, they mean it. The breakfast bar had hot eggs, fresh grits, sausage and ham, toast, waffles and fresh yogurt that was dispensed from its own dispenser. Decided to give it a try and was very pleasantly surprised. We loved that you could add died fruit, nuts, granola, and chocolate chips. This Best Western was definitely one of the nicest I've ever stayed in and we will most definitely be back!
The reception was unsurpassed, friendly and accommodating to special requests. The room was well furnished and "GI white glove" clean to include a sofa, desk with desk chair, well lite, HD TV, microwave, refrigerator, separate snack bar, granite counters, etc., very nice... The breakfast is superior to most with a variety of breakfast foods, fresh fruit to self-made waffles, sausage, etc. and a nice restaurant atmosphere style seating. Arriving north bound Hwy 27 must make a U-turn and that is done best by going to the next light, not difficult but much easier. And, the motel/hotel is located on an interior lot behind a very popular restaurant, Ramshackles. Otherwise, location is easy and quiet from traffic.
Stayed at this Best Western for a tournament and meeting at The Big House. The location was good with many establishments close by. If you are looking for a place to stay that is near The Big House, this is the place! Good location for the money and for the location.
The room was very clean me and my fiance loved our stay and we enjoyed it from the staff to the fast internet and great breakfast. 10/10 would reccommend booking this hotel and all hotels in the future with best western.
Back in October, we had an awful experience at this hotel. Our room wreaked of urine. We were in a pet-friendly room but still, the carpet was holding a memory of every animal who had ever stayed there. We received an apology from Best Western and were encouraged to try them again. Late April 2022, again I need to stay in Leesburg to visit my elderly mother. I thought I would give the Best Western another try since I was not travelling with my dog this time. We were on the 3rd floor away from any pet-rooms. I sat my mother down in the chair as she wanted to read. I could find no way to turn on the floor lamp, so I scooted the chair closer to the window for natural light. There, I found the screw-handle to the floor lamp, along with popcorn, drink lids and other GARBAGE. This means maintenance/housekeeping never checks on the floor lamp function and never moves the the chair to clean. That night, as my elderly mother needed the room temp to be warmer, the smell of urine AGAIN arises, no longer masked by the A/C. Disgusting. After what I had been through last time, this room should have been comp'd but I was advised by the Front Desk agent that I had received a 15% discount and that was all I was going to get. I asked to speak with the MOD (Manager On Duty-usually typical for hotel properties), and I was told there was NONE - she was IT. The GM, Sonny Patel, was off property for several days. This place is gross.
After searching for a Best Western to stay at near Port Canaveral, I chose this one that was 1 1/2 hours away from the Port. The reason we stayed so far away was the Best Western's that were closer did not have great reviews as to cleanliness including pictures of roaches and bed bugs. This BW+ was very clean and we had no issues. We did miss breakfast due to sleeping late, so I cannot comment on it.
The hotel was clean, and the staff was pleasant. The breakfast was good. They had everything we needed. Our room was clean, and everything worked well. It was easy check in and check out. Try the restaurant in front of the hotel, The Ramshackle Cafe. They have a variety, and the food was really good.
This hotel needs a major overhaul. It's been used hard and it shows. Bathroom fan and air conditioner fan were very loud. The hotel is also hard to get to when using the side entrance. You have to enter the parking lot through an alley.
The room was spacious, comfortable bed and couch. Shower had great water pressure. Breakfast offered waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereal and a yogurt station alongside juices and coffee. The staff was polite and accommodating to our room request. The location was annoying to get to only because of the traffic/road work.
We usually stay at a cheap hotel when we travel or need to be in one close to where we live. This time, we took the plunge and made reservations at the Best Western. I am so glad we did. The heat in our home did not work during the extreme cold, so we booked 2 nights at Best Western. We were able to get a handicapped room, and my husband had no problems getting in or out of the shower. After two nights in the hotel, my husband wanted to stay another night, so I made reservations for that night. By the time we got to the hotel, he decided to stay yet another night. We now have Best Western Rewards, and our 4th night was free. You get what you pay for.
I have never been treated so rudely as I had been with the check-in clerk at this hotel. I was staying their on my elite ward points and because my spouse was not with me, they would not let me stay. My spouse had a flat tire that needed to be replaced and could not join me that evening because his tire was not available in time. In the end Best Western central reservations rectified the situation and I was allowed to stay. The hotel needs lessons in how to properly handle their clients with care and consideration. Their was no reason that the clerk should have been so rude and uncaring.
I was pleasently surprised with the overall condition of the Best Western Plus Leesburg, FL. Not only was every area spotless, but the pool was also extremely clean, eventhough the jacuzzi was being renovated the pool was still clean, organized, and appealing. Very enjoyable experience!! can't wait for my next visit
Pro's: Location was right where we needed. Con's: The stench of urine in the room. Rude front desk agent. Go back?: No way. More… Let me start by saying that, if we were not traveling with our dog (at least I hope), this inn would have been adequate…just fine. Because we were traveling with our 13 lb. dog, we got a “pet” room that was saturated with the stench of urine. This room needed a carpet shampoo before it should have ever been sold again. Weeks before, we wanted to upgrade to a suite because my husband was going to be working at the desk all day on one of the days. The man who answered the phone, I assume a front desk agent, was so rude. He told me it was going to cost more/the rate would go up. No kidding? That's usually what “upgrade” means. I ended the call with him and tried again until I got someone pleasant on the phone. We did not complain about the room. We arrived late at night so we tolerated it the first night. We just didn't have the “fight” in us to deal with the front desk over it so we held our noses and got through the next 2 nights, never to return. And the hot water at the sink did not work…had to use the tub for that. This was a big “YUCK”.
The staff was very helpful checking in and when I needed something printed for work. The hotel common areas and room were very clean and well kept. The bed was also comfortable. The gym offered a variety of equipment to work out with and the room had all the amenities that I needed, including a microwave and refrigerator.
I reserved a room at Best Western Plus Chain of Lakes in Leesburg, Florida for July 27 and 28, 2021. The hotel itself was nice and the room we stayed in was 212. The air conditioning was not working properly in the room. I tried to do my best with it but at 10 o'clock the first night I could no longer stand it and went to the front desk and asked for assistance. My grandchildren were already asleep so I asked if they had a fan or if something could be done because everyone was sweating. The desk clerk was clearly annoyed and said he would have to check it out and see if there was truly something wrong. He came to the room and said it was fine and that the room is warmer because we had more than one person in the room. Wow really!!!! After being belittled he said if it's still hot tomorrow then let the desk know. The next morning I had an appointment for my special needs granddaughter to attend in Orlando and left early. Upon returning at 3 pm the room was even hotter so I went to the desk and the same clerk was there. He again started that I should have inquired about moving to a new room earlier in the morning because now housekeeping was leaving for the day and he would have to have that room on hold. The room temperature was 86 degrees because I purchased a thermometer to check it out with before I went to the desk. He continued to be beyond rude and reluctantly moved us to a different room 216. That room air conditioning unit was good . All other staff were very nice and the breakfast was very accommodating. I travel a lot but from now on I will never stay in this Best Western Plus again because the disrespectful treatment I received.
Best western, stop using covid as an excuse to give a crappy breakfast and keeping the hot tub closed! You can't guarantee social distancing in the lobby, elevator, breakfast area, or the pool. Put back the yogurt, milk, open up the hot tub.
We arrived and couldn't check in because their "system" was done. The staff made no effort to find a work around so we could drop our luggage off. We were on motorcycles so the last thing we wanted to do was keep carrying it around.
My wife and I enjoyed our stay in Leesburg, FL. at the Best Western. The hotel was clean and the room nice. Breakfast had a nice selection and I enjoyed the breakfast sandwich consisting of a bagel, egg and sausage. We enjoyed our stay.
We didn't have a reservation here, we came in off the road. The man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, the beds were super comfy. We had a room right by the elevator, but we never heard anyone all night. I would highly recommend! Very nice stay!! There is a restaurant right out in front of the parking lot you can walk to. That was a bonus for us.
I am an employee of Best Western in Kansas and didn't see the friends and family rate online so I decided to call. I had every intention of making a reservation for my daughter who lives in Florida and her children but that was a mistake. Not only am I am employee, I am Platinum as well. Well it seems as though I disrupted the front desk gal from whatever she was doing and was not very friendly. She was just rude and flat. She didn't try and help at all. I guess I just have high expectations since I work front desk. I ALWAYS go out of my way to make every customer feel important and do my best to make them happy. We will not be staying there and its too bad because this is the first BW that has treated me this way.
Came here after a horrible experience at another hotel. Was greeted by a friendly desk clerk. Our room was clean only complaint is beds need replaced or a topper. Couldn't get comfortable and woke up with a very bad back ache. Had a few choices for breakfast. Would go back if they ever did anything to fix the beds.
Spent 3 weeks over the holidays. One of the best stays I've had in a while at a hotel. Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping to the lady that fixed the breakfast were extremely helpful and courteous.
My husband and I had a good stay We got married October 23 so it was like a mini honeymoon We are looking for a home in the area where we had stayed. Also to visit family. I wish we could have stayed longer but time wouldn't allow
My wife and I accompanied by our two terriers spent a rainy night at this location. Check in was smooth and friendly. Since we had the canine companions we had use of one of the ground floor's pet friendly room. The room was very clean but did have an oder simmiler to a veterinarians office. I was able to walk the ladies out the back door and not go through the lobby. The microwave and mini fridge were a nice touch as well. I was disappointed the wife and I did not get to the pool because of the subtropical downpour but it looked nice. Hotel is situated behind the Ramshackle Cafe. Overall our experience was very positive and the dogs had a great stay.
My son and I made a trip to Leesburg to visit family. This hotel was closest. There wasn't any signage and the entrance was hard to find. Check in was quick. The room appeared to be clean. They advertised breakfast but, it was never available. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. We woke up each morning with body aches. The pillows were also hard and we had head and shoulder pains. After we left I discovered bed bug bites all over my legs. I will never go back to that hotel.
Quiet & Comfortable, Plus a good nights sleep!! I spent the night in Leesburg to have a brake controller installed on my truck, as the Chrysler dealers in my area din't have a part available until September.
This Best Western is like a normal one, like a motel, it's not PLUS at all! Bugs, dirty, you can see nails and other things on the floor, very disappointed I did not get the photos of the whole disaster, for this place, I felt sorry for this property, I can't understand how they still have a license to operate
Let's start with the good. There isn't any. Note, corvid running high in this area. I am a Best Western Diamond member and have paid for an upgraded room. At check-in. Desk clerk not wearing any ppe, no mask, nothing. (We wear masks). Front desk not being wiped down, nothing. Go to use luggage caddy, no ppe regarding that. I ask the clerk why aren't they wipping it down, he replies "we do it once a day". Are you kidding me. Last BW we stayed at, they wiped down everything after every customer. We check into room, looks okay. Go to turn on TV, remote has no covering on it. Go into bathroom, in toilet, a few left over "stains". Go to wash hands, no bar soap, only that cheap European gel dispensers mounted in the shower. Likewise with the shampoo and conditioner. We're tired and hungry, and as long as the bed is clean we can get through this one night. We go out to eat, come back and go to sleep. Wake up - ANTS are crawling on us. Not swarms, but sugar ants (unclean room) all over. I get up and immediately notice a blood stain on the fitted sheet. Then - partner lets out a gasp, she points - it's a pubic hair -not ours, wrong color - in the bed. I went down stairs and let the (same) desk clerk know what happened. Response was a sheepish insincere sorry about that. Go to get coffee - no sugar packets. Have to grab nasty looking sugar jar. This place was filthy and unkept. At check-out, not one appology, no sorry, not any offer of a gratuitous small refund, nothing. He never mentioned anything. The clerk from start to finish was about as unprofessional as it gets. WE must go to Leesburg one more time, we will be staying over 20 miles away at the BW in Ocala. I recomend aviding this place.
The property was very appealing and housekeeping was exceptional! There was no pool, gym or breakfast available due to Covid 19 which was dissapointing but understandable. The pool did look nice and we were provided with hot breakfast sandwiches every morning and that was nice. We would definately stay here again!!
Found old food in the refrigerator and brought it up to the front desk. Asked the lady at the front desk if the Manager (Sonny) was in. She replied no but would have him call me. No Call for three days!!! BAD Management!!!!!!!!!!!
The staff was rude and pushy. Went as far as to call my cell phone trying to hurry the check out and I was already out of the room. When I tried to explain that I'd left the room the guy debated with me as if I was lying about being out of the room. The cleaner literally waited outside of our room until we left it was so weird and there was an empty room right next to it that he couldve cleaned .
Comfortable, Superior breakfast and dining area, comfortable guest rooms, immaculate we have always stayed at this particular hotel while attending events in the area. This was our 5 th visit. Will return again
We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The receptionist was friendly & helpful. She recommended a walking distance restaurant from this hotel for dinner as we arrived after 8 p.m. Our room was very clean and spacious in a quiet location. The bed, covers & pillows were very comfortable. The delicious buffet breakfast offered many choices. The coffee was very good & enjoyed having half & half instead of nondairy creamer.
The whole trip process was well done: reservation easily found by the staff, staff polite and professional, room spacious, modern, clean, and comfortable beds, breakfast above average with scrambled eggs that were cooked to perfection, and finally, checkout via email.
Hotel is well kept, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Had one minor issue that I reported to front desk. Front desk staff were friendly. No major issues during our stay. Breakfast was good, no issues.
We stayed at the Best Western while visiting my parents in Leesburg and were pleasantly surprised! The hotel was nice and the hotel staff (especially our maid) was very pleasant and helpful. The location was perfect for us and we will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Leesburg.
Without a doubt, the only hotel I stay at while I am in Leesburg,FL visiting family. The hotel is clean, comfortable, has hot breakfast choices, and a great restaurant right in the parking lot. If you forget something there is a CVS right across the street and a little mini store downstairs next to the front desk that is available 24 hrs. Very nice if you want an ice cream at 2 am. Love this place!
I had pre registered, so check in was a breeze, got the room I requested. Parking was easy and breakfast choices were plentiful. The only thing we weren't happy with was the choice of TV channels--trying to find national news and sports was difficult--did not want to pay to watch a football game.
We needed a hotel for a meeting we were attending. We chose the Best Western in Leesburg because of our experience of staying at different Best Westerns. We were not disappointed. The gentleman working the front desk was very helpful. We arrived very early as our meeting was early in the day. It presented no problem and a 12 noon check in was most appreciated. The room was very clean, bed comfortable and WiFi and TV in good order. The breakfast early next morning was appreciated in getting a good start for a very long day.
Family Christmas 2019. Love this Best Western. Stayed Christmas night, friendly welcoming staff. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay there. Highly recommend if you are in the area
We stayed close to my mom visiting for the Holidays. It was a nice stay. Our room was a pet room and had a musty smell however the shower was fantastic. Its 20 dollars extra a day for each dog. The front desk personnel during the day were not very friendly. We liked the breakfast it was in a cute area in the lobby that was nicely decorated. It had a lot of land in front of the hotel to walk the dogs. Like I said it was right off 27 and an average stay. Not bad not exceptional either.
Excellent service and comfortable rooms in a good location close to family in Central Florida. It was better than in 2017. It was cleaner than in 2017 so would definitely stay again. Check in and Check out easy and Daily Newspaper readily available. Showers were excellent.
The Owner at this hotel is not a nice person!! I am a TA & at the time of my booking i put in for a late checkout! also talked to front desk when i checked in and was told no worries. On Sunday morning we got a knock at the door (cleaning staff ) telling me owner said we must leave!! Now at this time we are only 5 min past check out time anyway. I called down to front desk got owner on phone telling me he gives me 15min to leave or we are charged. I am in shock at this pt!!! like i said i am a TA and was very nice, had family with me and a small baby. I still do not know really know why this man acted the way he did. The cleaning ppl kept sayings they are sorry and do not understand why he is being so rude to us? but i thought to myself if this is how they treated a TA WOW .. I hate to see how they would be with clients.
if your a angler and fishing tournaments this property is the best! boat parking and power and great accommodating staff!!! well priced, clean, great breakfast and friendly staff and owners. if your fishing the Harris chain for fun or in a tournament this is the place also has a great restaurant right out in front of the property that you can walk to.
I was in Leesburg for several days to support a very ill family member who was in the hospital. It was extremely stressful. At the end of the day I was very pleased to go back to a clean, quiet, and very comfortable hotel room. It was a welcome oasis in my stressful trip. Staff was helpful and friendly, room was clean, breakfast was very good. I've stayed in a couple other area hotels before and been disappointed. I will definitely stay here again!
Staff was very nice. Hotel was clean, even the pool area. Breakfast was good. Enough selection and waffles were great! Room was clean and comfortable. The area the hotel in is okay. The restaurant in front of the hotel had a good selection of food and drinks. Fun environment.
I look for a good value when staying at any hotel and that must include good reviews about clean rooms , good breakfast selections and must have a frig and micro in room. Best Western checked all the boxes.
As you eat breakfast you cannot fail to notice that an enormous fish is watching over you. And several water lilies float suspended from the ceiling. The reception desk is flashy. Our room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The queen beds were comfortable. No complaints.
I have relatives in Leesburg, Florida that I visit frequently. In the past I stayed at the Sleep Inn. I will be switching to the Best Western Plus now. Very clean, a good breakfast with hot options of pancakes, waffles, eggs, Canadian bacon, danish, cereal, juice, coffee, frozen yogurt, fruits and surprisingly, almond milk. Dogs are allowed. Although mine wasn't with me this time I did see a couple. We had a great stay. It is a little tricky getting in and out as it is set back from the road behind a restaurant, but you figure it out quick enough. Room was very clean, had a fridge and microwave. There is a blow dryer but it's in a drawstring bag in the closet. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. One nice feature, they have a little "store" adjacent to the front desk that has some snack foods, aspirin, sodas, etc. Check it out if you forgot something or get a craving.
Staff was not helpful at all. Bugs in the breakfast. Makes you feel like a bother rather than a customer. Honestly was only there 1 night and best western has lost my business for good. The only way I plan to make a reservation through them again is in the case that nowhere else has an open room.
The staff here are lazy and rude the dont trust there own employees enough to give access so if you check in and wantnto use travel cards or gifte cards make sure you can pay the regular price cause they cant apply it at checkin for some reason and there suites are just regular rooms with a couch stuffed in it leaving no room to move
Not the best Best Western I've stayed in but on. Had king suite which provided more room. Dark decor, bathroom not as clean as I would have liked, breakfast area small, weekday times for breakfast should be extended. Helpful front desk people....very nice. Good restaurant in same parking lot. Breakfast good.
Great place to stay. Rooms were clean, the people that worked there were very friendly. Breakfast was good. Enjoyed staying there. If we travel back through Leesburg Fla., we will surely stay there again!!!
We were in town for a family matter. The hotel staff was very professional and helpful. We had adjoining rooms which worked perfectly. The rooms were very clean and welcoming. The sink in one of the rooms was slow to drain, but not enough to ruin our stay. The breakfast was great with many options. The only thing that would make it better is to serve later than 9am.
It's been 2 years ago that we stayed at this hotel so this review is a little late lol. It didn't let me put the correct date in but it was 9/5/2017. I don't normally leave many reviews but this place has come up several times in conversations so I just had to post my experience on here. This was by far the best hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in quite a few in my 63 years of life. The service was impeccable in all areas. The staff were so friendly, prompt with anything we needed. The room was clean, spacious and it was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. We travelled down from NGA to rescue my MIL from the approaching hurricane so got there late and quite stressed. Our experience at the hotel made a world of difference as we were able to relax and get a wonderful nights sleep before rushing over to pack her up the next day. Thank you for your superb service and I wish every hotel was this wonderful!!
Building was fresh, clean, well located, great breakfast, good housekeeping. I would stay again. Oh, great ice machine. If you come from the North you must make a left turn just before the location then a hard to find side entrance to their parking lot. Could be improved with a sign.
Starting with check in and throughout our stay, every staff member was excellent and always had a smile on their faces! The breakfast was good, something different each day - one day was biscuits and gravy and another was breakfast potatoes. They also offered make your own pancakes and waffles each day as well as scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereals, toast, muffins etc. The room was spacious and recently decorated. HOWEVER, the dusting could be done more (it was caked up on the top of the curtains and the top of the headboard). Also, the staff said they didn't have any additional pillows in the entire property. We were using the pull out bed and didn't have any pillows for it. I do find it hard to believe that there were NO extra pillows anywhere.
The room was nice and clean. Very spacious. Couldn't figure out the bathroom light switch because it was by front door and not near the restroom. Oh well, I've seen stranger things!! The breakfast was good. The powdered eggs actually had a good flavor to them and the sausage and ham were tasty as well. They have a waffle maker AND a pancake maker. Good price on the room and would stay again if need be.
Appears like a brand new hotel. Nothing looked worn. Had a cute area for kids next to breakfast and lobby area. Great hotel. Stayed in a king room...very large room. Breakfast had a good variety of items.
This hotel was about the best Best Western we have stayed in. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, service at the front desk was fine, the elevator worked, the breakfast was good, and most importantly, the room was quiet (on the third floor where I don't think there were any pets.)
Nice big room. Comfy bed, fridge, lots of room. Friendly staff, quiet. On a busy toad but we didn't hear the road noise. Air con was a bit close to the bed which was noisy though. Okay breakfast included, but during the week finished at 9:00 which is a bit harsh if you are on holiday! Seems pretty popular and full. Lies behind an awesome restaurant, the Ramshackle Cafe which looks nothing but is amazing!
Tis was a great stay, we went to Leesburg bike week and to people at this hotel made our stay wonderful, I could not have asked for a better stay. Oh by the way, I'm Spire member at Holiday Inn but I stayed here instead, does that say something.
Stayed at the BW Leesburg for 3 nights. We were escaping the fires down in the Everglades and decided to come up north to spend part of our vacation. Hotel easy to find right off the highway, plenty of free parking. Stores close by in case you forget anything and restaurant right out front (we did not go there however). Check in was efficient and we got to our room. easy enough Looked like it could be renovated a little - especially the bathroom which had peeling walls near the shower. Not a big enough problem for us to bring up though. They serve a free breakfast but not many selections for us being vegan but that is not uncommon. Front desk and rest of staff were ok - did not communicate much w/ them. Room price was reasonable. Nothing special but our stay worked for us as during the day we were always out exploring. Beds were comfortable to sleep in. Would we come back - not sure.
My family and I traveled to Leesburg for the funeral of my aunt. We checked into the hotel on the 29th of March for 1 night. My sister and I went to room 217, I was sitting in the chair and was bitten on the arm by some type of bug. I got out of the chair into bed went to sleep and was awaken by something biting me. Threw back the cover and saw little bugs crawling away. Reported it to the night clerk at 12 a.m., she came and put us into room 211, needless to say the night was shot. I reported it the next morning as well, was told they would call the exterminator to check it out, called back to speak with Manager on April 3, no luck, left number and all no response as if today April 5th.
Istayed at this BW because it was close to my mother who was ill. It was a bit more than i wanted to spend. But i would definitely stay again. The hot breakfast was good with many options and hotel clean
Great experience! Pulled in without a reservation and was checked in in a matter of minutes! Room was excellent and very clean, the staff are more than happy to help with anything to make our stay as enjoyable as possible, and they did. Hot Breakfast was wonderful and to folks like us a huge plus...who wants to drive to get breakfast every morning. There is a restaurant within 30 feet “Ramshackle” with was really good. Would definitely be staying ther again
I stayed here for 8 days, and would certainly stay here again. It was clean, the staff were friendly, the location was convenient, the rooms were fine, the amenities typical of mid-range motels. However, if you're looking for a healthy breakfast, this isn't the place to go. Instead, it offers a genuine greasy, high-fat experience. Most similar motels with breakfasts (and the ubiquitous waffles, bacon, and eggs) have a choice of three cold cereals, of which one is the unsugared "adult" cereal, such as Cheerios or corn flakes. No such luck here. The "adult" cereal is raisin bran—with sugar added because apparently raisins aren't naturally sweet. The milk isn't nonfat, nor 1%, nor 2%: It's whole milk. There's no choice of low-fat, full-fat, or nonfat yogurt: It all comes out of a dispenser. Even the granola that is available to put on the yogurt is glistening with sugar. At least there were decent bananas, although this being Florida, no fresh citrus fruit was available. Ironically, a poster in the elevator advertised "healthy" breakfasts with a photo of bacon and eggs. A few other tweaks: I couldn't get the public printer to work because I couldn't get the computer to respond to either outlook or gmail. I reported that the recumbent bike in the exercise room was broken, and the manager took my complaint seriously, promising to call in service for it. The most pleasant surprise for me was that the motel gives out free Wall Street Journals (as opposed to the ubiquitous, but boring, USA Today). For those of us who love the sports, entertainment, puzzles, and news that the Journal is famous for, it is a welcome choice. They also make the local paper available. Also, the prices in the motel store are reasonable, and there's a good selection of snacks. (There's also a CVS across the street and a supermarket down the street.) The heater/AC works great, and there's a microwave and small fridge in the rooms. All-in-all, other than the terrible, unhealthy breakfasts, this is a well-run motel, and deserving of the 4 stars I give it. Improve the food, and the 4 stars goes to 5.
We stayed one night and was pleased with our stay. Room was clean and we slept well. The staff was friendly. We got the room at an excellent price compared to other motels in the area. I guess Best Western cares more about offering deals than the other motels. The breakfast was just okay but the coffee was excellent. This motel is a little ways off the interstate.
As always our stay at the Best Western here in Leesburg Fl was perfect. Very clean and the front desk is always helpful. All the staff are very accommodating. We are always are very satisfied . The hotel is easy to get to and they are close to stores incase you forget something . If your hungry there is a restaurant in walking distance out the front door
When you enter the hotel you have to go up the street and then U-turn to access it-GPS will take you behind it and you can't enter from behind. The property has a well-lit parking lot. The clerks were helpful and polite. They have luggage carts to assist you in transporting items to and from the room. Check in and out process is easy. The facility is clean and well-maintained. The rooms are nicely decorated and modern. There is an elevator for customer use. Breakfast is hot with eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits, cereals, muffins, juice, fruit, etc. I gave the property a 5 rating because it really is a good hotel. The only thing I would like to see change is a little softer mattress.
We were greeted by friendly staff with a quick and easy check in. The room was clean and comfortable and they were kind enough to give several recommendations for where to have dinner (see my other review) at Ramshackle's across the parking lot.
Friendly staff, fast check in/out process and clean rooms. Property very clean too. The breakfast was tasty and the food attendant was very nice and attentive. Recommend using for business or pleasure!
We picked this hotel because we like Best Western and it was at a good stopping point for the night on a trip back home. While it was being painted on the exterior, we were not inconvenienced and it seemed the interior had just been remodeled as well. Friendly staff. Good size room. Everything you need for a good night's rest. Breakfast area had the nicest seating arrangement I've ever seen. Booths and tables set apart so you could wake up without feeling crowded and in a fishbowl with strangers. Too many hotels these days cram you into a tight space that was never meant to host breakfast. This was so nicely decorated and set up.
Plus means more and that is what I got at the Best Western Plus Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites! I stayed here for a few days in March of 2018 and had a wonderful experience. As a result, I made a reservation to stay here again for my most recent trip to Leesburg (January 27, 2019). I strongly recommend reservations because this hotel is central to a lot of activities in Leesburg and the rooms get booked quickly. This hotel is also about a 20-minute drive from the Villages, a very robust retirement community with lots of activities. My flight was delayed so I arrived at the hotel around 11:00pm. I was pleasantly greeted by the lady at the front desk who requested the normal credentials and promptly and politely provided me with my key card and the Wi-Fi access code. She explained the easiest route to get to my room and informed me of the hours of the complimentary breakfast that is served 7-days each week. When I entered my room, I was immediately pleasantly surprised! The room was spacious and very clean. But that is part of the PLUS in Best Western Plus! The air conditioner in the room worked well and was fully user adjustable. There was a desk in the room with a lamp and a very comfortable office chair where I set up my computer and workstation. Electrical outlets were conveniently located in very close proximity to the desk. A small couch with a coffee table was opposite the desk. A large flat screen TV was placed on top of a dresser with 3 large drawers. There was a small counter-top area with a coffee maker, 4 servings of coffee, coffee and water cups. The cups were individually sealed in plastic. Below the counter-top is a refrigerator and on a shelf above the counter-top was a small microwave. I truly appreciate these amenities. Very convenient if I bring leftovers back to the room after dining out. The bathroom was clean with bright lighting. The towels were folded in an ornate manner. The shower/bathtub were clean, and the drain worked properly. I mention this because I recently stayed at a H****n hotel and as I showered, the water began rising over my feet. But that is another review. I could find no fault with this Best Western. I was very impressed with the ice bucket. Not so much the ice bucket itself, but the bag that they provided to line the bucket when you put ice in it. The plastic bag was the PROPER SIZE for the bucket! I am sure I am not the only person who has stayed at a hotel and found the plastic bag was too darn small for the ice bucket! I know some of you know what I am talking about. Well, it was a joy to put ice in a bucket with the bag that did not collapse inside the bucket. Speaking of ice, there are ice machines and soda vending machines on each floor near the elevator. As I was entering and leaving the hotel during my stay, I observed the hallways were clean and the trash receptacles near the elevator were emptied on a regular basis. The grounds around the hotel were well kept. The staff I encountered in addition to the wonderful lady who checked me in were all pleasant. I felt secure in and around the hotel due to security measures the hotel utilizes. I had a wonderful trip to Leesburg, and I am sure a large part of that was due to my comfortable quiet and dare I say luxurious accommodations! Kudos to Best Western Plus Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites Staff for a job well done! I will be back!
Unfriendly staff, resulting in shortening stay. Disgusting and under stocked breakfast bar. The breakfast meats were discolored and floating in water in the warmers. Soiled linens thrown and left in hallways.
During the Christmas holiday we needed to extend our stay in Leesburg. As we have stayed at the Best Western in Leesburg before and we're happy with the staff and facility, we made reservations. We were able to do an early check in and got a handicap room. The. Room has been clean and well supplied during both stays. The early morning breakfast has pancakes, toast, cereal, bagels, etc along with coffee and juices.there is plenty to eat. The hotel is centrally located. It has an outdoor pool. We recommend to travelers to the lermont, Mt. Dora, Leesburg area.
The staff was accommodating, the room was large, and the breakfast was lovely. However, the room was dirty, the sheets were old and pilled, the carpet was stained, the bathroom had mold, the shower curtain was ripped, and the room smelled musty. Not impressed. I booked this based on other reviews that said it was clean. Definitely not the cleanest hotel i've stayed in.
I had to evacuate because of Michael and I have stayed 3 days the staff is very friendly and the hotel is spotless. The décor is very well done and the breakfast was good high ceilings 14 foot very roomy!
Let me start by saying the hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is as accommodating as management permits. I do not envy any native US employee at this hotel. The management looks for every minute way to squeeze revenue from guests. Every Best Western I've stayed, across the Country offers complementary water to their Premier guests. Not here... but you can purchase all the water you want. Charges for pets are $20 per day, per pet. Every Best Western I've stayed, except this one, charged a one time fee. That makes sense. This policy doesn't. The mentality of the management is not typical for the South, but then again, the owners are not from the US, so I guess that's to be expected. I was brought up to “when in Rome, do as the Romans do”. But it looks like the owners prefer the mentality of their native, non US Culture to that of America. We checked out the next day and went to a very friendly and delightful location a few miles away. You might want to read our review on the Key West Resort on Lake Dora. The pricing is competitive and and the facility is pure fun. Check it out, that is unless you don't have a choice. This Best Western Plus should change it's name to Worst Western Minus because of their management and financial policies. We won't be back...
From the minute you arrive to the second you check out and walk out of the door, you are always left feeling that you are VERY well taken care of and looked after. They didn't have to ask me if I slept ok, however, they genuinely cared. That to me is above anything that can be taught in school and the way a Business should be run. Always a pleasure!
The property is difficult to get to due to the traffic flow and requires a u-turn on busy 441 if you approach it from the wrong direction. The room looked pleasant but it became clear that it had not been cleaned - fingernail clippings, pubic and head hair, plastic bits, etc on the floor in bathroom and bedroom. Sticky marks on surfaces. The breakfast area tables were dirty and not wiped down. I will not stay there again when in the area.
Overall, very nice hotel. Was there for three nights. Very quiet, no noise at night time. Pool area was very clean and inviting. There was a restaurant next door which was very convenient. We enjoyed our stay and if another trip is needed, we will definitely stay at this BW.
We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was good, and there are several good restaurants near by. The gym is adequate and there is a pool. It is a very good value for the price.
Billie at the front desk was friendly and helpful ~ after a long day on the road it is so nice when a smiling face makes you feel welcome & check in is quick & efficient. Automatic front doors made it easy to roll my overloaded cart into the lobby and elevator. Room #330 was spacious & spotless, with fridge/micro and flat screen TV. Sitting area with what I assumed to be a sofa bed & coffee table. Slept well on super comfortable bed with nice linens & lots of fat, fluffy pillows. Generous supply of towels and hot water with good pressure. Didn't care for the wall mounted shampoo & soap dispensers but travel with my own toiletries so don't use them anyway. Free wifi with plenty of signal strength. The table lamp on the desk had an easily accessible electrical outlet in it's base but the bedside lamps did not, although I found one behind the night stand & used my own power strip to charge electronics. I generally don't use the in-room coffee makers at most hotels because the idea that they are not properly cleaned kind of freaks me out, but they had a Keurig type unit that made definitely made getting up @ 3:30am a little easier ;-) All in all a very nice room and I was sorry I didn't have more time to linger & enjoy it. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel has been awesome! It is in a more run down part of town and we did see multiple people not staying at the hotel traversing the parking parking lot, but I never felt unsafe. The kids loved the pool. Just a warning for people squeamish of bugs, there are a ton of little flying creatures that came out our first night and they were all in the pool the next day. We had been at the restaurant that is set in front of the hotel the first night and they were falling into our food when we were sitting outside. It was so bad we hurried inside. They were cleaning the pool that next morning but I am sure with the amount that had fallen in (looked to be thousands when we looked in the pool that first night) I am sure there is no way they could have gotten them all. We still swam and didn't die. The rooms themselves are great! We had a king suite with a pull out sofa and it was perfect for our family of 4. The pull out wasn't the comfiest but our 14 year old didn't complain . The king bed was very comfortable. We did have to ask for linen for the pull out sofa but that's not bothersome to me. The room and bathroom were very clean and linen and towels were all nice too. I think we did get one towel that was a little ragged but I'm not picky! If it dries and looks clean I'm good. The lobby and grounds of the hotel were very well kempt. My son loved the water feature in front. The breakfast was so good too. They had sausage, eggs, pancakes and a waffle maker, danishes, muffins, bagels, English muffins, oatmeal and grit packets, coffee, juice, and milk. This will be our go-to hotel anytime we are in the area. The price was great to boot! Thank you Best Western Chain of Lakes for giving us a nice, clean place to stay while away from home!
The Lady at the front desk was So Helpful !!! And for the first time in 3 days I am Not smelling or seeing Mold !!!! That Have made me Very Sick !!! Thank You Best Western. And when I turned on the TV. WAS ON PBS WITH THE FLEETWOOD MAX CONCERT. BOUNCE!!!!
Nice accommodations, mostly clean. located close to interstate, but far enough back that noise was not a problem. Pleasant staff. Good restaurant just across parking lot from hotel. Outdoor pool was nice, but hot tub had little water pressure and was luke warm. Room was well appointed with plenty of space, large closet, good beds, good water pressure in shower, etc. Adjacent neighborhood was rather run-down. Fair prices for value received. I would stay there again.
My daughter and I spent a few nights here while on vacation visiting family. The room was adequate, though it could have been cleaner. The front desk staff during the day was not friendly. The clerk that checked us in the first evening was much more so. We asked to spend a second night and they raise the rate on us. But they did allow us to stay in the same room. But the worst of our experience was breakfast. The attendant was not friendly at all and the minute breakfast was due to be over, she began pulling stuff off and putting it away. The second morning, there were approximately 20 guests still eating breakfast. Everyone was complaining that she was cleaning up the food and taking away all of the utensils. I have never experienced this before. I told her that she still had many guests trying to eat, and she said that the dining area was rented out later in the morning and she had to get it cleaned up. Well, that turned out not to be true. There was no one using the dining area the rest of the morning. Many many guests were upset at what she was doing. This hotel is very overpriced for the area. We moved after the second night because of the poor breakfast service. We went to the Hampton and had clean rooms, friendly service, and a great breakfast! Ironically, the gentleman that was doing breakfast at the Hampton came around discreetly to all the guests tables and said that he would be cleaning breakfast up soon if they would like to get anything else. The Best Western was more expensive than the Hampton and very inferior.
This hotel was very clean. It's pretty new so everything was up to date. Hot breakfast served each day. There was no noise noted by us during a 4 night stay. I would definitely stay here again. Hotel staff very friendly. Check in and check out was expedited. Pool clean, grounds well kept.
Everything was clean, well decorated. The beds and pillows were comfortable. Parking lot were illuminated, breakfast pretty much basic, but not that bad. I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone...
Rooms are tidy, beds are very comfortable, and the staff is friendly. Location within 20 mins to Mt. Dora, Tavares, Clermont. Restaurant located in front of parking lot. We were in town for a f birthriendsday party.
Stayed here for business at the end of March. Lobby is small and very well appointed. The dining area quite nice. Parking was good and staff was very friendly at check in. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. The mini fridge and microwave were nice and were very clean. The beds are comfortable, and there are plenty of pillows. Hotel offers free wifi and a nice hot breakfast that was good, though they only offer a few things a person eating low carb can eat. Was a little concerned when i first arrived as the landing at the elevator on my floor was dirty, but i gave it a bit and sure enough the next morning it was cleaned up nicely. This hotel is quiet, friendly and well kept. The friendly black cat that stays out front was a binus as I was missing my kitties at home. If your going to be in Leesburg or The Villages, I highly recommend this hotel.
This Best Western is right on southbound Hwy. 441 so you cannot miss it. It is next to a little restaurant so you don't need to go far for lunch. I love to stay here so I can visit the shops at Leesburg and then go down to Mt. Dora to do some shopping for antiques and then tour the town.
We have stayed in this hotel for about the last 6 years and about 2-3 times yearly. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. Its easy access off the HWY, large parking and a outdoor swimming pool. The last few times I even did my laundry which was nice seeing that my husband and I shared a suitcase so we didn't have to pay airline for two. And that also was well cleaned. The staff is very friendly, there's a drug store within walking distance and a really good restaurant in the same parking lot of hotel.
Very clean, polite, and comfortable. Housekeeping was very good, friendly, and helpful. Beds were clean and soft. * only bad thing was the toilet paper, lol. The restaurants about the hotel were good.
We stayed here one night in between staying with friends in The Villages and our annual trip to Daytona Beach. The hotel is nice with clean, comfortable rooms. We didn't use the outdoor pool. Breakfast was good. All in all, a good stay here.
Checked in on a Saturday evening. Thankfully I had made a reservation several weeks prior as the hotel was completely booked. The associate at the desk was pleasant and professional. She reviewed the standard credentials and provided me with my card key, my wi-fi access information and directions to my room. The hotel has 4 floors and there is one elevator in the center of the hotel. I did not experience any long wait times when using the elevator. When I entered my room, I observed 2 neatly made Queen size beds with a night table between them. There was a lamp on the table that had 2 electrical outlets on the base. I was happy with this because I use my phone as an alarm clock. I was able to charge the phone overnight and have the alarm next to the bed. I should note there was also a clock radio on the night stand that had an alarm as well, but I chose not to use it, but having a clock that was easy to see next to the bed was an appreciated amenity! The room and bathroom appeared to be clean with ample bath towels. This hotel participates in resource conservation by giving you the option to use your towels more than once, that is, if you want fresh towels, leave the used towels on the floor. If you do not need a fresh towel, leave it on the towel rack. Many hotels provide this green option. The bathroom also has complimentary soap, body lotion, body wash, shampoo and hair conditioner dispensers mounted on the walls near the wash basin and in the shower. A very nice amenity. Guess in the long run this method is more cost effective than using the small sample size bottles that everyone takes for use during future travels…or to use at home! The air conditioner in the room worked well and was fully user adjustable. There was a desk in the room with a lamp and a very comfortable office chair where I set up my computer and workstation. Five electrical outlets were conveniently located in very close proximity to the desk. The room phone was located on the desk; however, I observed a phone jack with a phone cable on the floor underneath the nightstand next to the bed. I suspect I could have relocated the phone to the nightstand had that been my preference. These days I only use the room phone if I need to contact the front desk. Speaking of dining, every morning the Best Western provides a complimentary breakfast buffet. You may choose from cereals, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, toast from a couple of kinds of bread, waffles, pastries and juices. I don't recall seeing fresh fruit, although I may have just not noticed it. In any event, this is a wonderful way to start the day without having to wait to be served. The rooms seemed to be reasonably sound proof. Even though the hotel was close to being fully occupied, I did not hear any noise from the rooms next to me or in the hallway. There was an ice machine and soda vending machine on my floor in area near the elevator. I don't know if each floor has an ice machine, but I appreciate not having to go to another floor to fill my ice bucket. Oh yes, did I mention there was an ice bucket in the room? Also available in the room was a safe to secure your valuables, a closet with a full length mirror, hangers in the closet and an iron and ironing board. Overall this Best Western is a very nice hotel. My room was clean, quiet and very nicely furnished. I can't say the staff I encountered were especially friendly, but they were professional and polite (and I did shower and use deodorant!). I can say that my stay at the Best Western was a nice and enjoyable experience! Thank you Best Western!
Wonderful big rooms with nice big bed. Great Breakfast assortment. Recommend the Ramshackle Café in front of the Hotel to eat dinner. One word of advice is to enter the side entrance if coming from the east. The building sits off the road and hard to see.
I picked this hotel because it was close to an event I was attending, I really wasn't sure what to expect when I got there to check in. I was greeted by a super friendly woman, that put me in a room that was exactly what I was asking for! They have a great breakfast bar!!
Great location to use as ‘home base' if you are exploring central Florida. An updated hotel, pet friendly and attentive staff. Breakfast included many extra touches not normally included. Enjoyed our extended stay.
I recently stayed here again and was reminded how nice it was. The renovations are finished and it is beautiful. It was as comfortable, well stocked and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I will stay here again if the opportunity presents itself.
Very comfortable accommodations. Easy to access off a main road through Leesburg. I would have liked a bit more fruit for breakfast. I know fresh fruit might not be available in winter, but even a selection of previously frozen fruit would have been welcome.
I was quoted $121 by phone. The Best Western app also quoted $121. When I arrived home and looked aty bill, I was charged $135 plus tax. The total bill came to $150. Otherwise we were very happy with the cleanliness of the room. The sausage and eggs were not tasty. I like the soap dispensers in the bathroom.
We spent three nights at this hotel. Check-in was easy. We had asked for top floor, quiet side. There were no rooms on the back side of the hotel available. We were placed amongst rooms for a family reunion and asked to be moved to the end of the hall. We ended up getting a very nice, large king room. The hotel's address is 14th street. That in fact is Hwy. 441- a very busy road. Fortunately the AC had a fan that went all the time to make white noise. All in all, it turned out to be a quiet room. The breakfast offered a nice variety of foods. I have never been to a hotel that offered pancakes made on a conveyor belt and also a yogurt machine. There were several toppings that could be used. This is our first stay at Best Western in many, many years. It was a very good experience.
My wife and I are both seniors and stayed in this hotel the weekend before Thanksgiving for 2 nights. We unfortunately and 1 other guest got stuck between floors in the elevator around midnight for about 1/2hr. First issue was the night clerk could not hear the emergency alarm from the elevator and the only way she knew we were stuck is that I called her from my cell phone, imagine if we had no phones or didn't have service from inside the elevator. Now, I have a heart issue and all 3 of us are claustrophobic so you a imagine our feeling being stuck in that elevator that long. The night clerk tried to reset the elevator several times with no success and at the same time my wife was calling 911. Finally, thank god the fire department arrived and took the door of the elevator to extract us. I understand that things happen and that none of this was intentional but the hotel management didn't have the decency to offer any type of compensation or apology. In fact when I asked him about it he told me that if we check out of our room immediately (1:30 am) he would a not charge us for the night. I had to ask myself is he really that ignorant or is he so careless because of the color of my skin and if I were more to his liking would he have been more compassionate and understanding. Needless to say we won't be staying at that hotel again in this life time.
Clean, comfortable accommodations with a hot, tasty breakfast! Over the course of my 7 night stay, 2 of those nights the internet was extremely slow but the front desk resolved the problem. I will stay at this Best Western again when back in Leesburg and would highly recommend staying there!
I've stayed here numerous times while on business. The place is very clean, staff helpful. The only thing that might be considered bad is that it's not very accessible when traffic is heavy. but, I will definitely stay here again.
not worth the upgrade, regular rooms are better that the Whirlpool suite way over priced for looking at a roofs and a wall and old light bulbs thrown on the entrance roof actual dirty hand prints on the rooms walls hair in the whirlpool lumpy bed with plastic mattress cover no couch no view no quality service at check in or check out only thing nice about it was the lobby the breakfast bar the lady who served up the breakfast bar and good wide spaces for parking next to Ramshackles a really good restaurant and bar right next to hotel
For the price of a room it is a rather nice hotel. Kind of hard to get into the parking lot coming north on 27 but we made a u turn and it wasn't a problem. Nice enough room, clean. Breakfast had enough choices that one could overlook the days old and reheated sausage that was loaded on top of some old bacon that was sitting in fluid. The pancakes and eggs were enough for a light eater like me though. I personally don't know how anyone can eat the sausage served at these places, and I suggest that you avoid it.
We had to book the room as a last minute decision. My Mother has Stage 4 cancer and was rushed to the hospital in Leesburg. We had already booked a hotel in Deltona for November 23rd through the 25th. But We canceled those reservations to book at Best Western so that we would be close to the hospital. Although the room was $100 more per night than what we had booked at another hotel. We were Thankful to get a last minute room ! The room was beautiful and very clean. The staff was friendly and professional. We will be booking with Best Western again and every time we visit Leesburg.
The manager checked me out and was rude and would not explain my bill to me. He stated "this is your bill so deal with it because your debits card has already been charged'. The room also had a smoke order and did not have enough towels.
Actually, I give this hotel 3.5 stars overall. 4 stars for a hotel in its class. The room was typical for hotels in this class. It was comfortable and quiet. I never heard anything from another room or the corridor. With three floors, it isn't too big. There are many restaurants in the area although Leesburg should is not known for fine restaurants. There is adequate free parking surrounding the building. My room was clean with two queen beds. These beds suffered from a problem found in many hotels with this setup - the beds develop a "lean" towards the space between the two beds as everyone sits there and gets into the bed from that side. The hotel doesn't turn the mattresses to mitigate this problem (if they even recognize it). The bathroom was okay with a granite counter top and good flow in the shower but there was some mold/grunge stains in the corners of the tub by the floor. (see photos) They had an interesting clock with sound effects for white sound and red numerals instead of the insomnia-inducing blue! The alarm didn't seem to work, however. The A/C worked very well, keeping the room cool and with the fan on, didn't awaken me every time it went on or off as some do. The curtains on the window had sheers and a black-out curtain. They serve a breakfast in the morning but I never sampled it. The personnel were very friendly, especially Michelle who managed the front desk most of the time I was there. She provided good information of the area. If you're in this area, this hotel would be a good choice, especially for the price.
Pleasantly surprised at the hotel overall. The room was clean and had space to move around. Breakfast was hot and had a good selection of items. Checkout was immediate. I heard no noise at all during my 5 day stay.
Best hotel we have stayed at in a long time. Friendly staff clean rooms and wonderful breakfast. Decor is great. Love the wood carved alligators in the front fountain and breakfast area with the fish and lillypad nicely done
The hotel is located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Nice indoor pool, the rooms are neat, pleasant staff interaction, a basic complimentary breakfast is provided and the fireplace outside of dining room is beautiful. The refrigerator in the rooms should all be replaced!
This hotel, once entering the grand foyer, is like walking into an art museum. The beautifully decorated hotel , lobby, rooms, is awesome appointed. The guest staff at the front desk were friendly and professional. very helpful in aiming to the right evening bistro for a nice dinner. The house keepers and breakfast attendant were friendly, and accommodating. I will be staying here again while traveling on business, or for pleasure, this hotel is a great buy for the night or for as long as you choose to tour leesburg. I will be back and will recommend this location highly. Thank you BW
I was traveling for business and brought my wife along for the trip. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed each day. The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. As my wife spent the days around the hotel and I went to work she was treated very well from the complete staff. I was very satisfied from check in to check out. Breakfast was very good! The staff even better, Thank you for a very nice stay
Nice place, friendly, clean rooms, good parking, good breakfast, fridge and microwave, nternet is so so, they take pets, pool, good place for workers, it's tough getting into if your driving north but no big deal, lot's of food near bye and shopping.
This is a great place to stay! The rooms are large and very clean! They are nicely decorated and everything looks new. The breakfast is good and has a nice selection. The room rates are very affordable. I would definitely stay here again!
Fourth time we've stayed here over the past few years. Great hotel, management is very personable, Chris who prepares breakfast does a remarkable job. Best tasting scrambled eggs of any Best Western we've stayed in and a great selection of breakfast items. The breakfast seating area is upscale. The hotel is quiet and the rooms are clean and well appointed. Close to The Villages and a good variety of restaurants nearby, Longhorn Steakhouse, Cracker Barrel, etc.. One is the Ramshackle Café adjacent to the hotel parking lot, very good ribs and wings. So satisfied with this Best Western Plus we never entertain the idea of other accommodations in this area. We'll be back !!!
Comfortable, affordable and floor was quiet . The variety for breakfast was presented well and tasty - options included: eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, yogurt and the list goes on. Varity of restaurants nearby.
This is my only hotel is use in Leesburg... Service is great and room is very clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good and eating area is nice and open. Very nice located in the middle of the city. It has washer and dryer... a plus, pool and a Gym. Parking space is very spacious.
This hotel is a good place to stay. The management are very responsive to your needs. Rooms were clean and done in a timely manor. Breakfast was hot and had a good verity of food. Hotel located close to restraints and activates. Hotel is also close to tThe Villages if you are looking to visit or buy a house.
The hotel was great, wonderful accommodations, the pool was under construction from a fire in the pump house. The Ramshackle restaurant in front of the hotel is Great. A little hard to get into of the Main road but there is a side entrance if you can find it ...
Comfortable 4 night stay while visiting relatives. Bed excellent. Very bright in front parking lot which is great for safety but need black-out curtains. Complementary breakfast was not good. Should not advertise hot breakfast when breakfast meats are so greasy it's unhealthy and no taste in eggs.
the pool pump house had caught on fire prior to our stay, therefore looking forward to sitting by the pool with 2 other guest was out of the question. No additional discount was given even after asking because of the pool situation.
Hotel has clean rooms and was reasonably priced. The breakfast offered was a big plus. The downside was that the swimming pool was closed all four days we were there. Seems that if you go to Florida you would expect a pool to be open. Directly in front of the hotel parking lot is a convenient restaurant not affiliated with the hotel that is a plus as well.
We made a roundtrip through the deep sout of the united states and we stayed 1 night in this hotel. Good choice for a short stayover, decent hotel with good breakfast and nice rooms for an affordable price.
I really enjoyed my stay there. My room was very clean and nice I felt like I was home. The staff was very nice. Thank you for your excellent service I will back to stay again. Next time I will bring my family
Had a two night stay here. Nice place, room was clean and comfy. Slept great in the bed. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was a little lacking in what I would have expected from a Plus hotel. I would stay here again though.
Rooms were great. Breakfast was varied and nicely presented. Pool was damaged in Feb or March and is still not repaired. Burned out machinery and nasty pool is what's there. We were told it would be repaired in August. So sad for people with children who stay there this summer and rightfully expect an operative pool. This should have been told when reservation was made. I made reservation directly with the hotel.
We stay here every time we are in the area. Comfortable clean and friendly. Great location and good price. Nearby restaurants and close to the interstate. Lakes for fishing or recreation and close to shopping.
We stayed here for a graduation and a quick trip to Disney!!! It's in a great location about 40 minutes from the park you can save some money on accommodations and be close at the same time!!! Very clean and nice place to stay!! Great bang for the buck!!
Enjoyable stay. Good location. Free Wi-fi is always a big plus for me. Lots of TV channels. The breakfast was pretty good, but needed allergen statements. I had to stick to fruit because I didn't know what didn't have milk products.
I made a review for a different hotel and accidentally posted to this one, here is the correct information. My friend and I stayed here for bikefest, the room was clean and the staff was very nice. I have to say the breakfast was really good. I can tell you I have stayed at many hotels in the area, this is the one I will try to get this one. I did try to book it again for a funeral a week later but they were booked.
Lots of kids, broken pool, no compensation for entertainment for kids! Rooms were clean and so were bathrooms! Difficult to into from highway but good location! Manager and staff very friendly, large bottles of soap, shampoo and conditioner!
Driving 500 plus miles to catch a cruise from a Florida port, we like spending one night here. Plus easy to visit friends at the Villages. The rooms are nice. And the included wifi and breakfast are a great value.
When I walked in your hotel I felt it was a good one. Wrong they just put a dress on a pig. The room was not clean, Finger nails on the floor by the bed, remote and phone filthy. Hair on the toilet and in the shower. Bathroom floor had not been swept or washed, Mold in the sink. The chair is disgusting. The only reason why I did not make an issue out of it wile I was there is because of the late time I checked in, my dad was in the ICU across the street, and I just wanted to rest a bit. I did not shower or eat their breakfast. I suggested they hire a cleaning crew and a manager that care about their job, or pay them more so they will.
Short and pleasant stay. No problems. Have changed on the pet policy. First time I stayed there was no pet fee. Like the new dispensing bottles for shampoo, conditioner, etc..... Added a hand soap so no bars of soap by the sink.
Most amenities and the room were fine...but the beds were really hard! Enough so I would reconsider another stay here. Central location but difficult to find...and hard to get into from Rt 27 divided highway. Great breakfast, clean room.....just HARD BEDS!
We have stayed at this Best Western before and have always found it friendly, clean and pleasant. The breakfast is plentiful and tasty. It is reasonably priced, making it a real value. One caution - if you arrive at night, be aware of the center strip that makes entering a bit round-about.
We were told that the cost would be $92.00; however that was only for the first day. The nest day the cost was over $1250.00. Still the average cost was below $100.00 but I would have appreciated knowing up front the actual cost.
I have been coming to this hotel for years. It has always been clean and friendly staff. On a recent trip I obs erved updates in the breakfast offerings, room amenities, and overall impression. Sune and his team are great.
Based upon the hotel picture, I had low expectations for this property. Boy was I surprised! The best thing about our stay was the size of the room - extremely spacious. We were travelling with our 19 year old son and had considered purchasing a seperate room for him so we would have more space. This wasn't necessary because of the size of the guest rooms. Additionally, the room was very fresh. And I liked the dispensers they used for the shampoo/conditioner/body wash because the products were extremely high quality (European, I believe) and I could use as much product as I needed without worrying about running out.
Overall impression of this hotel is that it was clean and fairly comfortable. My only complaints are the bed is very firm which I am not used to. So I am not really complaining just noting this. The other minor complaint is the awkward light switch situation in the foyer of the guest room. It also controls the motion activated light in the bathroom. So if the foyer lights not on the bathroom light does not work. In my opinion a very minor complaint. I felt that the room was clean and that is the most important to me. Oh and (NO BUGS).
I stayed here on a Friday & Saturday evening & was very comfortable. They are trying to save the environment by having shampoo, conditioner & body wash in a container on the wall. They also have hand soap & body lotion on the wall with the sink. The AC worked well & was not noisy at all, like some place are. I would stay here again.
Hotel does not contain toiletries it has those nasty dispensers Hotel rooms are nasty bring your own sheets. Service is extremely poor-no one smiles at this hotel. Food is bland and cleanliness leaves much to he desired.
We were passing through and picked Chain of Lakes Inn as good value. The whole hotel was really clean and well run. Our room was immaculate - no complaints. Great location as we had done an Air Boat trip that day. Next door is a great place for dinner - Ramshackle
I spent the weekend at the hotel. Booked a King online at the hotels web site. The room was quite large, clean and very comfortable. The staff was friendly and attentive and the free hot breakfast is always a plus in my mind.
We stayed for 13 nights on a business trip. As always the staff are very professional and welcoming. The room was cleaned properly everyday. We had clean towels, toiletries and coffee. Everything was good from the cleaning staff. The breakfast was good. The hot items were varied each day so that was pleasing. The whole area was kept clean and replenished to a high standard. Our room was bright and large enough for us to work in the early mornings and evenings. Our only reason not to give maximum was that our wash basin was badly cracked. One morning we had a cockroach fall onto the bathroom floor. Despite the later, we would stay again but request a basin with no crack.
We arrived late on the way to a Florida State Game. The room was large with a nice bathroom. In the morning we went to the breakfast and it was the best I have ever been to other than one in Manhattan. While I was there I wanted to print off Sports tickets and I could not get into the computer at the business center. To make a long story short, the staff was attentive and fixed the problem! :-) I would stay here anytime!!
The room was comfortable and clean. I love the squeeze cleaning stuff in the bathrooms. The bed was great and there was plenty of parking. I just wish the tv worked better. It was hazy and I wanted to watch football.
We were very pleased with our 2 night stay. The motel was very clean, staff very pleasant and accommodating and the room was comfortable and nice. Breakfast was very nice. Would definitely stay there again.
The first room we were given at this hotel had an overwhelming odor of urine when we walked in. It was BAD. We immediately walked back to the desk and asked for a new room, which we were given. Just surprised the cleaning staff thought that the room was acceptable for guests, it was obviously not clean by any means!
My husband and I were visiting the area for a week to see family. We found this hotel, and we really enjoyed staying there. We initially only booked it for 1 night, just in case we didn't like it. The next day we went ahead and booked it for the rest of the week. The place was very beautiful inside and recently updated. The room was very roomy and very nice, and the bed was very comfortable. The only complaint would be getting into the hotel parking lot. You can only get in from one direction, but wasn't an issue for us. When we come back to Leesburg we will be sure to stay there again.
It was my birthday, and I just wanted a day in the room with the jacazzi. It was a wonderful stay, with a clean room.Breakfast was great. The only problem was when the jacazzi was on I couldn't hear the T.V..When i went to the office they told me all t.v.'s are set on low hearing so it does not disturb other guest
Very clean and updated hotel. Nice convenient restaurant in front of hotel called Ramjack's that seems to be a hot spot in the area, good food. The breakfast provided at the hotel was well prepared and displayed, great coffee as well.
In town for a two day softball tournament at Lake Sumpter College. The room was clean, staff was nice. It appears the rooms were recently renovated. Definitely would stay again! Local restaurant right in front of hotel smelled delicious but did not get to try, ran out of time!
We stayed during Hurricane Matthew while the storm ravaged our home. The management and staff at the hotel could not have been more concerned and accommodating which made a stressful situation much better. We would definitely stay there me again!
My family had to evacuate because of Hurricane Matthew. I began desperately searching for three rooms to accommodate 5 adults, 3 small children, and a cat. After calling many hotels only to find them completely booked, I reached this Best Western Plus in Leesbrug, FL and was grateful to find "room at the inn"! For the three nights we anxiously watched hurricane progress and then damages, we were welcomed and made feel at home by the fine staff. The rooms, the breakfasts, the pool and hot tub were all great. I highly recommend this hotel.
Nothing wrong with this hotel, we would stay here again if the area. Breakfast was ok room clean everything worked ok.Staff was good price was good location good for us, only problem getting into hotel was which direction you were headed had to make u-turn to get into entrance
Reservation was made directly with the front desk; easy, they were very accommodating of last minute travel needs with uncertain duration of stay. Check-in was smooth as silk. Room was clean. It might need a bit of updating, but everything worked and was functional. Breakfast was simple American fare, good, with many nutritious options. All staff were very attentive and non-intrusive; there when needed, otherwise unseen. Express check out was easy to arrange and even easier to execute. Parking seems reasonably safe. Location is optimal if you have things to attend to in or around Leesburg.
Super quiet room, virtually no noise when people walk on the floor above you or close doors in hallway, also cannot hear the road outside. Huge room, large breakfast available, nice fitness area, very clean. Located in a part of town that seems dark and dingy but inside the hotel is very well maintained
Very clean room, great customer service, honors military discount. Price and location were great. (Seems to have been remodeled) Will definitely add to further stay.... Pet friendly. Good hot breakfast. Nice breakfast area and pool...
I was impressed with the service and the quality of the facility for the very reasonable price. I would stay again and was pleased with Best Western Plus. I believe it is the first time staying at a Best Western.
The lobby is nice and well taken care of. The staff is friendly and allowed us to check in early. The check in and out process was easy. Our room was clean with fresh towels and toiletry. The pool was outside. We did not use it but it looked large enough for the kids to enjoy. They offered free breakfast. Since we had to leave early before breakfast started, I asked if we could have something to go. She came back with coffee, yogurt, banana and muffins. I was really happy for the accommodation.
We stayed here one night and did not use the recreational facilities available. Once inside the property, we found a very clean lobby and hospitable personnel at the front desk. Our one king bedroom was also immaculate and a good size with a comfortable bed, a nice clean sofa, and adequate size bathroom. We had no problems during our stay with any outside noise as the hotel is set back from the highway in the downtown area which at times seems to have quite a bit of traffic. Breakfast was adequate and included hot items such as real scrambled eggs and sausages. Although we did not use it, the breakfast bar included a pancake maker to make your own pancakes. The children at the breakfast seemed to enjoy it. We would stay here again if we are need to be in this area.
we have friends that live in Leesburg, FL and they do not have enough room for guest. When we found this hotel a couple years ago, we always stay here for convenience, very clean and very friendly staff. Keep up the good work!
Wife and I did a late night check in at 12:00 and found our room to be nice and clean. It was a handicapped room as well with a no lip shower and a seat with hand held shower head. We didn't stay long but will stay again if we need to in Leesburg.
My husband and I are "Snowbirds" and for the past 10 years, we have stayed at this hotel twice a year. The service, amenities and everything are impeccable. We recommend it highly. The staff know us so well, that we are always welcomed like long-lost family. They treat all guests the same. It's our favorite Best Western, and we always stay at Best Western.
we planned a trip here, in search of a better price I booked direct . we paid in advance ( big, big mistake) the policies stated cancellations were up to 3 days prior. but was to know the place was hit by tornadoes and floods, there were traveling advisories so we tried cancelling 2 days before and were told it was against policies. So if you make any plans, make sure there are no wars planned and also check with God and ask about his plans.
Hotel was fine - not great, but clean and comfortable with plenty of parking. Biggest issue was with the quality of the included "hot" breakfast. One day the eggs were so incredibly salty they were inedible (we told the attendant who just looked at us). Another day within 30 minutes of opening they were out of bacon.....and there was a long wait to have tables cleared and cleaned (especially frustrating when we saw the attendant standing over at the check-in desk chatting away.) We also noticed that the manager on duty seemed to parked his car under the covered area at the front doors - making it difficult to load/unload under cover or to drop someone off.
The Best Western Chain of Lakes Inn & Suites in Leesburg was perfect for a one night visit, but I felt like I could have stayed longer if needed. It looked as if it had been remodeled recently and the employees were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. I would stay there again if the need arose.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice modern decor. Everything was clean. The pillows are nice and full, the towels are folded into cute bows, and there were plenty of them. AC worked great. Great breakfast...hot and cold options, area kept clean and stocked. We received a welcome bag with bottled water and snacks. Towels were provided to wipe bikes down. One of the really great bonuses of staying at this location for bikefest was the shuttle stop right in front of the hotel...goes downtown and back (about 1.5 miles each way) every half hour until 3am for $1.00 per person. Awesome to be able to go down and have some drinks and come home safely! Highly recommend!
The hotel was clean and comfortable - not amazing, but reasonably priced and closest to Beacon College for an accepted student to see the campus. We asked for and got a quiet room. When there were no linens for the sofa bed, the front desk immediately sent someone with linens who also made up the bed. He was extremely accommodating and very prompt. He initially came only with sheets, but went out and quickly returned with blankets and pillows. All employees we dealt with, late at night, were cheerful and helpful. We appreciated that and the ease of checking into the hotel and promptly getting into our room.
We recently stayed at this hotel because it was convenient for what we needed to do in Leesburg. The room was clean, but I couldn't get past the very strong musty smell!!! It was hard for me to fall asleep. Other than that, their staff is friendly and the breakfast was fine.
We spent a day here while we visited the Leesburg Bike Fest. This hotel is top of the line in quality and cleanliness. The modest price is just another reason for wanting to stay here again. They offered a full hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, ham, pan cakes, danish, milk, coffee, OJ etc. We will most certainly stay here again.
Great location for Bikefest. Staff is awesome, super friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean and up to date. Nice, clean little pool area. Complimentary breakfast is a plus. I will be back next year.
Clean, comfortable motel about a mile from Main Street Leesburg. Some rooms have a Jacuzzi. Easy in and out with a nice, free breakfast. Good restaurant right in front of the Motel if you don't want to drive.
Why is this a "plus"? Looked like a standard room to us. The tv was small, 32", but no hd so shows had black bars making tv even smaller. Beds were hard. Walls thin. Is it a "plus" to get extra $$ from travelers? The lobby was gorgeous but not sleeping there. Front desk not very accommodating
Wonderful place for families or individuals on vacation. The hotel and rooms were very clean. The breakfast items were just average, nothing special, but decent. The hotel staff was very friendly during check in and check out.
Very conveniently placed-right on US 441. Great king bed, microwave, refrigerator, sofa-everything you need.Lovely breakfast area. Workers are very helpful and polite. Busy highway, but you won't hear a single car or truck. It's really quiet.
Hotel is clean and inviting, staff is pleasant..The room is very comfortable but had a mildew smell..The A/c worked but not as well as it should have..The breakfast bar is ok, but would rather go out to eat, not as inviting as many other hotel breakfasts...
great place clean rooms friendly staff would recommend to stay here, use it for business and pleasure. would also recommend it for the Leesburg BIkefest close to downtown and the hotel takes care of the bikers,
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I had never stayed at a Best Western before, and I initially chose this hotel because it was one of the few that accepted guests under age 21. From the second we walked in the door the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The hotel is newly renovated and the room was very nice and clean, and everything was in working order. The pool was nice and clean as well. Only complaint is the location (it's not the best area and there is not much to do close by). HOWEVER there is a place called Venetian Gardens about a 5 min drive from the hotel and it's a beautiful park and great place for walking, bird-watching, or sunset watching! Overall, had a really enjoyable and comfortable stay here and would definitely stay here if I visited that area again!
We stayed here while in town for a family celebration. Check-in was a bit rough and late night front desk attendant was not very friendly or pleasant. We were able to get checked in anyway, and the rest of our stay was very nice. The front desk staff during the day was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The included breakfast was decent---about what you expect for an included continental breakfast. Overall great value.
Very Good. Nice, clean, large, quailty hotel. Met all of our needs. We will be coming back in four months and will have a group for a wedding. We will stay here. No reason not too. The price is great for us and makes for a happy guest. Wonderful Stay!
Check in was fast. The hotel and grounds are nice. The pool and hot tub area was nice. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Exercise room is small, but nice. The free breakfast is one of the better ones we have seen. Plenty of choices. My only complaint would be the cost to stay here. It is a bit steep for where the hotel is located.
The room was remarkably clean and far exceeded expectations. The rate we paid was great for the quality of the room. The front desk staff was polite and proficient. If we ever passed through this town again we'd definitely stay here.
We stayed here on a visit to Beacon College in downtown Leesburg. The property is convenient, but the whole place had a slightly moldy smell. That said, our room was large and the breakfast buffet was complimentary and plentiful.
We love staying here and have been repeat customers for the last several years. We stay here for the Mt. Dora Antique Extravaganza. Love the location and the restaurant in the front of the hotel. Everyone is very friendly and courteous.
I never stay at Best Western, so I was a little worried, but the price was right, and I was having trouble finding other hotels. Plus, the reviews were decent, so I decided to give it a try. The room & bed were comfortable and overall I was pleased. The negatives are it isn't in the greatest area, and the workout room and breakfast selections aren't as great as other hotels. There is only 1 treadmill & one elliptical. But, it works. It is better than nothing and at least you can control the temperature in the workout room, so that was a plus. As for breakfast, they do NOT let you take anything back to your room so beware! That is a bit of a downside if someone isn't ready to make it down for breakfast. And, I was afraid to try the eggs after reading the reviews, so I just ate an English muffin. If the price was right again I would stay again just realize the downsides.
We stayed for one night. The room was very clean with ample room. There Was a refrigerator and microwave in the room . Very nice breakfast area with many choices in the morning.. Good value and would stay again.
This hotel provided a very comfortable stay for several nights. Our handicapped accessible room was very spacious, which makes a huge difference in comfort when you use a wheelchair. It was one of the nicest accessible rooms we've stayed in ever! Also, breakfast was great, the paver walkway leading to both parking lots on the sides of the hotel was wonderful (no curbs), and we slept soundly and comfortably every night. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the hotel was quiet. Wish we could take this hotel with us everywhere we travel! :)
Quick trip to central Florida. Excellent hotel option. Entrance to hotel driveway is poor (can only access from southbound lane). Staff nice and efficient. Good location to downtown. Recommend for Leesburg and surrounding area. Needs better entrance access.
We stay at this location every year and it is always a nice stay. Each time, we have had a nice, clean room where I feel comfortable flopping down and relaxing. The bathrooms are clean and the hotel looks more upscale than a traditional best western. The breakfast buffet has a waffle maker, eggs or omelets, bacon or sausage, yogurt, sweets, juices, cereal, and more. I am always pleased. We have used the business center to print boarding passes and buy tickets to events. This time we got in late and hungry and forgot our toothpaste. We bought snacks downstairs at a regular snack price (not gouged) and received a tiny toothpaste for free which lasted our stay. The front desk staff is not overtly warm and fuzzy but the are courteous, helpful, and nice. I will always stay here.
This hotel was significantly less expensive than the #1 rated property on Tripadvisor. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice this hotel was. Enjoyed a hot breakfast buffet and they even had flavored coffee creamers. Room was comfortable, but my only complaint was the sheets. They were quite rough. Bed was nice and firm. I will consider staying here again.
Best Western Plus was very nice. Affordable, recently updated, with all expected amenities. Breakfast was good but lacked variety. Nice facility on a busy road. HVAC unit was the under the window type that are a bit loud but room very nice.
This seemed like a passing through hotel. Good for a one night stay. It was a quiet hotel with good beds. Breakfast needed to be updated. Fresher food-not greasy eggs and sausage. Hotel could be updated also- it was clean. location was near villages if needed to stay close and for cheaper amount.
Well-- I stayed there for approximately six days. Everyday I came back to the room--it was if no one cleaned it. One morning I stripped the bed and put everything on the floor. When I got back in the evening...my dirty sheets were still piled on the floor and housekeeping had not made up my bed. When I called front desk...they were unsure if someone would be able to make up my bed...because it was 10PM. I was like are you serious...they found someone who came 20 minutes later. She made up the bed...but forgot to put back the blanket and some brown decorative thingy on the bed. Then I got my bill with an extra 45 dollars. I called the hotel...one person said I took a piece of furniture. I said all the way to the Virgin Islands.. You got to kidding me. Well you will have to take to the manager was his response. I was like why don't you have him call me. He never did. When I called back it was some piece of material I was accused of stealing. Really? Come to find out it was housekeeping that failed to return the item to my room. That truly pissed me off.
Stayed here Wednesday to Friday with my fiance. Love it beautiful place. Very clean. Great breakfast. ,lovely people. Except the lady checking me in Wednesday she had made some comments in a negative way in my opinion. But other then that loved it. Guys at the desk the next day were great. Would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for a pleasant stay would definitely come back if I am ever in town again .
This is a newer hotel and it shows! The entire property is in incredible condition. The staff was very good too. WiFi worked great. The breakfast included eggs and sausage and the breakfast area was appropriately sized. Everything was clean too. Quiet, and the fridge and microwave worked well too. ALL BW's should be like this!
This hotel is very new, has great staff, and was VERY clean. Our room was a delight. Everything worked as expected. We really liked the bathroom's motion detector light, which automatically turned on both a light and the fan upon entry. The room had a nice lay out with a coffee station, microwave, fridge, and ample counter space. It was nice to get more than two packets of regular coffee. Beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The complimentary breakfast was above average. We enjoyed fresh bagels with cream cheese, coffee, and juice. Conveniently located near the junction of 441 and 46, we will definitely book here, again.
We stayed with our 2 boys here for a week.this is a very Nice hotel, breakfast good. clean. staff was very helpful and friendly. the price good. there is a laundry availale, very convenient. I was very happy.
The hotel is relatively new, the staff is friendly. Two factors lowered my overall rating, its location and breakfast timing. I stayed 2 nights, each morning the "hot" portion of the breakfast offerings were removed 5 to 10 minutes before the scheduled time. I believe this is a directive of the owner who is on location each morning. The real negative of the hotel is its location, southbound side of 14th street which is FL Hwy 27. From 8am to 6pm the southbound road is bumper-to-bumper. If you are heading north to the Villages, you will have to drive about 1 mile south before you can make a u-turn. There is a light about 100ft south of the hotel, but in traffic you will never get over to the left lane. Coming from the south is just as bad. The closest light (again to make a u-turn) is about a quarter of a mile north of the hotel. I went to the local Publix, about 1 mile south of the hotel at 2:30pm. It took me almost 20 minutes to get back to my room.
Staff was friendly and competent. Room was fairly clean and had all necessary amenities. Air conditioner, however, didn't work right at nite so it was quite warm in the room. Place needed a good vacuuming.
The hotel is decent but I don't consider it to be a "Plus" having stayed in BW Plus in Cincinnati and Mentor, Ohio, they were far superior to this one. However, it is a couple of grades above a typical BW. The breakfast had a decent variety. Room was clean and quiet. Bed was not very comfortable. If you are coming north on 27 it is hard to find the entrance. You have to U turn and keep a sharp eye for the entrance driveway. Your choices are limited in Leesburg if you need to be in town and this is the best choice.
The room was nice, clean and exactly as pictured on their website. It was very quiet and we heard no noise from the hallways or neighboring rooms. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the towels were large and soft. The microwave and refrigerator in the room are a great feature. The internet worked well throughout the property. Breakfast was good and the eating area was nice The employees were friendly. The location was convenient.
We visit family in Leesburg once a year and have stayed here the past two years. We had the king suite which also had a sofa, desk, micro and refrig. The room was very clean and bed comfortable. The breakfast fare was ok but we stayed for 5 days and a little more variety would be good. The pastries could have been better and a waffle maker would have been nice. The breakfast attendant was very friendly and kept up the items nicely. I booked the first night through a booking sight and when we knew we would be staying an exrra 4 days, I asked the front desk if he could give the remainder of the days at the same rate but he said he couldn't for two of the days for some reason. I didn't quite understand that but went ahead and booked it for the remainder since I didn't want the hassel of changing rooms. All and all a good experience. I will probably return there next time we visit Leesburg.
great hotel but beds sag and need help sore back and discomfort all day. amenities are nice but no fresh coffee in lobby for guests and friends what is left from breakfast is what is served. newer hotel but beds are sooo bad
surly, unporfessional staff, hidden fees, lousy breakfast, hours for breakfast not posted, pet fees not shown on website, pet policy not shown on website - if you say you are pet-friendly, then act like it!
Awesome Hotel. Love this property. My family and I always stay at this hotel when visiting family and friends. Rooms are always clean and the service is outstanding. I thank everyone at the hotel for their great service. I found out while leaving the hotel they allow pets, that way the next trip I can bring the family pet.
Wow the best service I have received in a very long time. Last night as we were driving to see family for the holidays we booked your hotel on Expedia, but I hit the wrong date and didn't realize that I did. When we went to check out this morning the manager said I see you mixed your dates. He than that he was going to refund me the number night so I didn't have to fight with Expedia for a refund. He could have just been like take it up with Expedia. Thank you once again for your help and kindness.
Stayed three nights due to convenient location for visit to area. Overall not a bad stay. Everyone was helpful and met our needs. The one put off was a smell in the lobby area, I think it was a sewer smell. Also the hallways and the room to a small extent had a mild odd smell. The free breakfast was very good, a good selection and good quality. Room price was in the acceptable range.
Stayed here while visiting my mom in the hospital at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. The decor was nice and fresh. The rooms were large & the breakfast was good. There is a good restaurant the Ramshackle restaurant next to the hotel. We would stay again.
This is a very clean, nice, comfortable hotel. It's quiet and I love the layout of the room. I have seen ZERO bugs and stayed here three weeks. The laundry is a bit over priced but all and all two thumbs up.
I've stayed here 3 times going back in about 4 months. I visit my husband about every 4 months and this is a very nice hotel for my 2 year old and myself. King suite is spaceous for my son to play and little bar over the mini fridge has plenty of room for his food and snacks. A micro is a must with him and the bathroom has plenty of room for us.
I use this hotel on a regular basis when I want a "mini vacation" or need to get away from my household. The staff makes sure when they see me that I am taken care of. The breakfast is hot, tasty, and has a good variety of items to choose from.
We like motels with spacious rooms, in-room refridgerators, microwaves, irons and ironing boards. This property has all, as well as, exercise room, pool and business center. Breakfast varies daily and is included in room rate. All staff were very helpful. Carpets etc were fairly recent and decor very interesting. If in this area, we would stay here again.
There is nothing wrong about the hotel. It is comfortable, clean and well maintained. Conveniently located too. The staff is OK, not super friendly but courteous. You can walk to a nearby restaurant and pharmacy. The only downside it is pricier than other options in town.
This hotel is not surrounded by many attractions but I will say that the decor was beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. I wasn't able to try the free breakfast however because it does end at 9:00am...It would be nice if they would give you till 10:00 as some other hotels do. All in all it was a very nice stay and would stay again if I was in the area.
Terrific hotel especially for the money. Very very nice. Decorated very nice, more like a five star hotel. Friendly staff, great rooms, great breakfast. I never consider another hotel in this area. I have recommended it to everyone I know who has to travel to Leesburg.
Well, I had a similar experience to another reviewer, Ron. The front desk insisted I pay $10.00 extra for 2 double beds versus a king. I booked 2 rooms so it was only $20.00 but that $20.00 "upgrade" leaves me with a bad impression overall. Then as I was departing the front desk, I watched the employee quote the next guest a much higher AAA rate than what was listed right on Best Western's website. It seems like this is standard practice at this location, as I have visited other Best Western Plus locations and there was no "bed upgrade fee". Not interested in being taken advantage of, I will be booking a different hotel next time I stay in Leesburg.
The room was 85.00 a night. I was informed it was a non-smoking building. However, the fine was not disclosed. My girlfriend was unaware and smoked in the bathroom. The next day, the manager called me to inform me and requested I come to the check-in desk before are next night stay. I accepted responsibility and the fine. However, when we entered the room we found that they retaliated by not cleaning our room. Old sheets, used towels, dirty shower, and items removed. We then returned to the desk for refund of our second night stay as we were going to another hotel. They wouldn't give us another room. All I asked for was the comp of the second night stay. They refused. We then called the Health Department and was informed that this was the third complaint in a month. The Health Department was there within the hour and found seven infractions in just the occupied rooms. Unless this chain changes management and its policies, I will not recommend that you stay here.
Staff was nice and polite. Our room was clean and roomy enough for 2 people. The breakfast area was very nice and the breakfast was good. It was a little tricky to get into if you were coming from the wrong direction, but once we were told how to do it we were able to find our way. There were some good restaurants close to the hotel. We felt secure and safe in this location.
went during the bike event for Leesburg, been there twice, only thing I suggest is if you do take the room with the Jacuzzi make sure the water comes out clean we had rusty water while we were in it nasty!.and make sure it has a table and chairs we had to sit on the bed to eat..other than that it was nice an comfortable and breakfast was awesome. Treated people kindly.
