Best Western Lapeer Inn

My boyfriend and i stayed here because we had a wedding to go to in the area. This hotel is dated. Continental breakfast was the worst we've ever seen. Another guest we spoke with that was looking at the breakfast that they had to offer said he was going to call and order breakfast from grubhub! There was no workers tending the breakfast station refilling anything. We were there before 9am and there was hardly anything out. Toast or waffles was about it. My boyfriends daughter is getting married in April in Lapeer. She said she will not be getting a room block at this hotel!

I was on a weekend trip with a friend of mine in May 2026, and we spent a Saturday night at this Best Western in Lapeer. It was all right... kind of an outdated property but it served its purpose for the night. We got a room on a higher floor per my request, but there was no elevator. The location off M-24 in Lapeer was okay... relatively convenient for the things were doing in the area. The rooms were kind of old and dated but clean enough. Noise wasn't a problem, so that's good. The main disappointment we encountered was that the hot tub in the pool area was out of order, which was a bummer because my friend and I had been looking forward to that. I can't really speak to the amenities because we didn't take advantage of any of them. Overall, this hotel was okay but not great. We got a decent night's sleep, so that was good. We chose it because it was less expensive than the other chain hotel in Lapeer, but sometimes you get what you pay for. Still too expensive for what it was... not a great value. Would I stay here again? Probably not. It wasn't bad... just "meh".

Nice hotel clean a lot of things didn't work though no jacuzzi the outside doors didn't work with key card restaurant has been closed since COVID

Paid two hundred dollars a night , two nights and hot tub , sweet had ants off my clothes and all over the floor said , I got videos , but they won't want me to put down here very disappointed and then they want to give me twenty dollars off another room

Very wonderful stay and the Staff was very accommodating. Eddye was a life saver. We booked our stay through Expedia and some how we didn't get three nights but instead only two. Thankfully with Her help we were able to get the other night needed without any issues and it was cheaper than we paid for through Expedia! The only downside to our stay was two things. The major smell of pot through the Hotel even though it's not allowed. It was so overwhelming at times in the Hallways I had to go outside to get fresh air. The other issue was our whirlpool tub. The tub itself was great since the Hot tub was down. Our issue was there wasn't any handles to help get in and out of the tub. Not an old guy but I found it difficult getting in and out with out slipping around. Should be checked out.

I have found my new place to stop when traveling in this area. Receptionists was so nice. It's clean and comfortable. I'll stay again for sure!!

Even though I booked on hotel website, they could not fix mistake to booking because it's owned as a franchise. Booked king hot 2 smaller beds, service worth attitude, reported we needed shampoo and conditioner because ours was used they never brought more and said we should have got it.

Rented multiple rooms for an event. 1. Room mix up. Given "upgrade" but the room had dirty towels left behind in the tub. 2. Front sliding door worked half the time. Had to call front desk to get help to enter the main entrance! 2. Second room had mold in the shower. 3. Theft in public area of hotel. Management unable to help or followup despite filing a police report. The stay cost more than just the rooms unfortunately. 4. A positive - staff was friendly and did try to accomodate best they could. Overall, I would not stay here again, even if required travel time to go elsewhere.

I believe there were bedbugs in Room 110. Bit four times on my left arm, once on my eft hand, three tines on the left side of my face, and three times on ny right hand. Other than that, everything was swell.

Very disappointed!!! This was our go to for visiting family and friends. I am a rewards member. First I had to call main number, didn't get my email corect. Used a old one, we stay at other BWs, haven't had this problem, they didn't have me enrolled in my points either. When we got there had to wait 45 min, computers down , fine just ready to relax before a wedding ( booked 2 nights) . Then hot tub leaking , water is baby bath warm and jets sometimes work . 185$ a night disappointed 😞

In addition to the hotel being very clean and updated, the bed was most comfortable! I would highly recommend this hotel if you ever have to stay in the Lapeer, MI area. The Continental Breakfast offered a nice variety of food and beverages in the morning.

This hotel falls way below the Best Western standard. Internet did not work and the breakfast was not served at 6:30 am as it was supposed to be since a worker called out. I stayed here before and did not get breakfast at the time on that stay either. The manager's response was disappointing as she indicated there was nothing she could do. Room smelled. I hope Best Western removes this facility from its chain. It should not be operating. The photos were taken around 7 am stating breakfast was at 6:30 and it was no where to be found! No one knew how to turn on the juice machine including front desk. No attendant!!!!

Clean rooms, pleasant staff, simple continental hot & cold breakfast, great for the kids, pool, hot tub. Close to stores and wedding venues in Lapeer. Note: Lapeer has State, County, Township and City police. Please drive sober, drink responsibly or please have a DD. 😊 ❤️ Cons: no early check ins, no elevator, no shuttles.

The hotel was comfortable, quiet, and centrally located. The pool area was very nice and spacious with an arcade for kids. Very family friendly. Our room, for the most part, was clean. Beds were comfortable. 2 things keep it from getting 5 stars…I said room was clean, for the most part. The tile floor was sticky - the entire tile area had something sticky on it. We had only just arrived when I noticed it so it was left from previous guest. When I grabbed a wet washcloth to “mop” it was obvious the floor had not been mopped for awhile. That left a bad impression. And then in morning when we went down to breakfast there was this smell that made me sick to my stomach. Very strong. My husband thought it might have been cleaning products being used and it could very well have been. There was a purple bottle hanging on the cart. But that kinda ruined breakfast. (Which, by the way, was a really nice spread) One more thing for management to know. My niece checked in with her family on Saturday night. No one at counter. They had to call hotel. Some young kids came in then to greet them. Appeared a bit “out of it” so it wasn't a good first impression.

We booked dozens of rooms in advance for a wedding. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were very nice. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location perfect for our party. However, the reservations were not as we made them. A couple of the rooms that we reserved were not available when the guests arrived. One mistake was with the bride and groom's room. We were disappointed as to how management handled the issues on such a special occasion.

The hotel was clean and smelled great. The rooms were modern and the bed was super comfy. I was travelling alone and felt safe at the hotel. The parking lot is well lit

More attention to cleanliness of rooms, the carpet probably should be replaced, the carpeting in this facility is worn out and the quality of hot breakfast foods needs improvement Staff should be presentable. Only one person was not. They are a friendly staff. The person working in the breakfast area tried to figure out why the steam table food was not hot. The quality of the food in the steam table was not good.

Dated hotel however clean with friendly staff. We often stay at this location for a relaxing time with the family at the pool. Great pool area and very accommodating staff.

The indoor pool area is above and beyond . Warm big pool nice spa hottub . Lots of room for family to relax and enjoy . Staff is awesome very clean rooms lots of secure parking front and out back. Plenty of off site restaurants and shopping . It's a small town place we have enjoyed for over 25 years almost once or twice a year . Thank you Best Western Lapeer Inn

This was a real treat if you are a child of the 80's. Before Hotels became cookie cutter and no fun. This hotel was a great romp back in time. The building itself is older. But what I loved is it had its own personality. The pool was big and had a giant waterfall and hot tub. It had a video arcade, pool table, and foosball. A small gym and gazebo. Had some "The Shinning Vibes" which was really neat. But these are the types of hotels they had back in the day before everything got modernized and cookie cutter. It is rare to see these types of hotels now a days, but if you find one, it is a great echo of the past. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms very comfortable. The Tv worked, as well as the internet. The only issue was the breakfast setup although somewhat impressive was kind of bland and the drink machine didn't work. So, all they had was coffee and milk, but no water or juice. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for something different or wanting a stay that could remind you of better days from the past. When we are in the area again, we plan on staying here. There is also several groceries stores nearby as well as dinners.

Overall a nice. Still needs some updates. Pool area was very nice. Rooms were nice. Could use some updates, but then the price goes up

Excellent value for the money....great breakfast and pool and fitness center we above the standard you would see in a hotel. Very quiet and close to shopping and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again. Staff was very friendly and courteous!

HORRIBLE!!! If I could give negative stars I would! We took our daughter and a few friends for her birthday. For one the one room was NOT cleaned! They tried switching the room but none were suited and we needed a suite. All they did was wipe down surfaces in plain site. The chair was still dirty the top of headboards still had dust on them. The bathroom faucet wasn't even attached to the bathroom counter. In the other room we rented one lamp did not work, the switch was broken off and the fridge was all wobbly and the toilet and the fridge made super loud noises constantly. Pool and hot tub DISGUSTING! Pool had tons of hair in it I'm talking clumps of it! Hot tub even worse! The water was a brown/yellow color and stunk like old stale rank water! We told them about it and they said there was nothing they could do about it. There also wasn't any pool towels we went to the front desk to get more and they gave us “all they had left” of pool and bath towels which wasn't enough for all of us. As we were walking in the halls on two different levels all you could smell was weed! As if someone was smoking it right in the hallway, and then a guy started following my daughter around. They told front desk about the man and the weed smell, all of a sudden my daughter and her friends and a HOTEL employee come walking right in our room. This hotel employee was talking to the young teens as if they were the adults super inappropriate! Later on the same hotel employee came up to the girls as if she was a teenager and one of their friends saying she thinks she found out who was smoking it but they denied it etc. Again very inappropriate as adults are right there and the employee should of came to us instead of our teenage girls. As it was time for bed, the shower was spraying in a spot the no water should even be coming out of! We called down and asked for linens for the two pull out beds. An employee brings them up and every piece of linen had stains on them! As we pulled out the bed chips crumbs were in it! The actual beds had stains all over the sheets. Brushing our teeth at the end of the night and noticed the sinks don't drain you had to pull out the stopper for the water to go down. I would NOT recommend this place even to my worst enemy! Absolutely HORRIBLE!!!!!

I was greeted with a pleasant smile and a " how may I help you " at check in. The entire property is well cared for, and cleaning is top notch. I requested a quiet room and it was quiet. HVAC was almost silent. Bathroom and linens were very clean.

We have stayed here many times. the amenities are a plus, The restaurant/bar has closed, hopefully it will be open again soon. They are located so that they are very close to many restaurants and shopping. Not terribly expensive. they do not have an elevator so you might make sure your room is o a lower level..

.We choose this hotel every year because of the friendly staff and cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was delicious. There is a workout room, hot tub, pool, a few arcade games, air hockey and a pool table. Something for everyone to enjoy.

Waited 15 minutes in the lobby before desk staff showed up. Room reeked of cigarettes and weed. Found a half smoked fresh joint on the floor of my room. When addressed with the front desk, it didn't seem to surprise them. Was moved to a different room that was literally next door to my previous one, and smelled just as nasty. Breakfast options limited, including old fruit and stale bakery items. At checkout, another desk employee made me aware that finding weed and cigarette smell is a common occurrence. Worst hotel experience in my life.

My husband and I stayed here, in a king suite for a family reunion. My husband noticed a big bug on the bed and flicked it off the bed and I asked him to kill it because now I'll be wondering where it's at. So he grabbed his phone and turned the flashlight on. At first he could find the bug because it blended in with the carpet. As he's looking he flashed his light underneath the nightstand on the side of the bed. There he found animal feces. He took pics of it and also of the bug he found in the same area. We discretely told the lady at the front desk and showed her the pic. We didn't want to cause any trouble because there was another couple checking in. Normally we would have asked for a different room or left. But there was no where else to go. All hotels where full in the area. I was told I was getting a discount. I found out today it was 10%. In my opinion, absolutely not enough. It was clearly there for a while so it makes me.think the rooms aren't really "cleaned". I will not be staying there again.

Pros: the breakfast buffet was generally very good (exception: the cereal in the dispensers was stale). Most of the staff were friendly and helpful (with one exception - see below). Cons: Both queen beds in the room were uncomfortable the likes of which I've never seen before in a hotel. There were dents and lumpy portions such that a comfortable position was impossible. The bathroom smelled strongly of mold. I cleaned it myself and it still smelled of mold. The mini-fridge is very poor quality because the freezer and fridge share one compartment. This setup forces you to choose between having a freezer or a fridge. If you put it on a very cold setting for the freezer to be effective then the food in the fridge portion also freezes. If you set it on a middle or low setting the fridge is great but the freezer is useless it isn't cold enough. The obvious solution is to get the mini-fridges that have a separate opening for the freezer and for the fridge. It's not much more expensive and it makes a ton of difference. I was asked by front desk staff to allow carpet cleaners into my room during my stay to clean the carpet requiring me to stay off the carpet for the day and tolerate industrial fans blowing like a whirlwind in the room. You must be f'king kidding me. No. Just no. Get your act together and do it after the guest leaves. It was unacceptable and I wrote to Best Western Corporate about it and heard nothing back. Shoddy customer service. Generally the staff was great BUT the night employee Crystal (spelling?) is an obnoxious bigot and does the Best Western brand a disservice. She spoke at length to me about how she hates people who receive disability benefits from the government. Well I happen to be one such person and I found her beliefs, attitudes and behaviors to constitute harassment. Her extreme hateful alt-right political views have no place in the workplace. I witnessed her be degrading to guests at the front desk, rolling her eyes behind their backs and otherwise dehumanizing them. People like her have been programmed to hate by their culture and news media, in this sense they are like children who know no better. In time I believe she has the capacity to learn that compassion and a sense of responsibility toward one another is a higher calling than hatred and derision. But I am shocked that Best Western tolerates hatefulness in their employees and I have spread the word about the vomiting of alt-right political propaganda from the front desk at a Best Western to everyone I know. Overall I thought Best Western was better than this and it made me rethink my decision to choose Best Western over the Holiday Inn that was right across the street.

The room was dirty and the refrigerator didn't work. A bottle cap was found next to the television, there was hair around the bathtub, and the room seemed dirty overall. The hotel needs to be updated, in general. The breakfast was depressing.

There was a lack of privacy with maid service. Breakfast was lacking. Needed more variety. Old odor smell. Motel needs some updating. Notes not properly entered into system regarding our reservation. Other family didn't have rooms available that were previously reserved months in advance.

main part of the room decently clean. Then you step in to the bathroom and there's debris on the floor, hair in the shower. Shower curtain not clean. A little outdated, but that never matters to me. As long as the room is clean. Staff was friendly.

Great staff and overall kind employees. The free breakfast had longer hours than most hotels. The food was good. Hot and cold foods available. The pool area is the best with a hot tub. Also has a pool table, a fooseball table, an air hockey table, and a few arcade games.

The hotel had a nice size pool and hot tub. The temperature of both was nice. Kids had lots of fun and enjoyed the arcade games. Rooms were comfortable but little outdated and the bathrooms needed to be cleaned and maintained better.

Unfortunately, no complaints is about the nicest thing I can say about this location. There wasn't anything that was remarkable, With the exception of the waterfall, pool and game area... which we unfortunately didn't use. Nothing was dirty or unusable. The breakfast items were good and nothing was empty.

the staff is so Great. We have stayed at the same hotel many times before; my granddaughter has a home in Lapeer. Always great to see family. went to a hockey game came back to a warm and clean room. Good breakfast also makes it a good deal.

Our stay was over Christmas vacation to visit family. The room was clean and the staff friendly. We stayed 3 days. Breakfast was disappointing compared to other BW, but it is a hotel. The lobby door was broken the entirety of our stay. We had to have our key reauthorized each night.

Very clean, great selection for the included breakfast buffet of both hot and cold foods, fruits, pastries and juices. Lots of restaurants in the area for dinner. Conveniently located close to the interstate .

They offer a pool, hot tub,and an area with a pool table and arcade games. Very fun atmosphere. The staff was great. One complaint- I stayed for 3 days and every new day I had to get new key card because the one I had never worked the next morning.

This hotel is fairly new. We had a king suite (separate bedroom) as there were three adults. It was perfect for our needs. The suite was clean, the bed comfortable. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub; however, we didn't use it. Internet service had good connections. Breakfast was okay.

The bathtub had a pile of hair in the drain and little hairs all over the tub. I had to clean everything myself, even the carpet and furniture had crumbs all over it so I don't think anything was cleaned. When I told staff they didn't care, I was told to talk to the manager Kelly in the morning but when I tried to talk to Kelly she refused to talk to me.

Used rewards points to stay for free and I'm extremely unhappy with my stay. We checked in and everything was fine, we went to dinner in town and when we came back we noticed the hangers in the closet were on the ground, the microwave had not been wiped out, our ice bucket had water and dirt in it and the room had clearly not been vacuumed. We went to the desk to get a new ice bucked and we're given one covered in dust. We came to this hotel specifically to use the pool and hot tub so despite how dirty the room was we tried to use the pool when we got down there the was a party going on and people everywhere. We checked how many people were there every hour between 4 and 10 we got tired of waiting and went to sit in the hot tub there were kids everywhere, both the hot tub and pool had lost almost a foot of water, there were kids screaming splashing and climbing in the fountain/waterfall we definitely won't be coming back and I want my points back. I work in a best western and can't believe any of this was allowed

First time staying at this hotel. Great experience. Walls are thick. Rooms were laid out nicely and quiet . Pool and Hot Tub were exceptionally clean with perfect temperatures. Gaming area could benefit from a couple of floor tile replacement. Breakfast exceeded our expectations. Requested early check in due to family wedding. Hotel accommodated our needs graciously. Would definitely recommend.

When we arrived we found a previous guests old tortilla chips pieces on the couch and someones used chapstick container on the floor. Housekeeping was a no show despite our request for service and when I asked about housekeeping at the front desk I was given a bad attitude and told that it was now after 5 PM (We had been gone since before 9 AM that morning) housekeeping was unavailable. When I asked if they were supposed to provide daily service, I was rudely asked "Is there something you need?". On top of that, we discovered that even though the door to our room closed, unless you pulled on the handle after the door closed, it didn't lock. Awesome to discover that your room had been unlocked all day. The next morning we went to get breakfast. Eggs, Bacon, OJ, Apple Juice all empty. Returned 30 minutes later, still empty. Emails to manager went unanswered EXCEPT for the last email I sent to her after we checked out to inform her that on our last night there, the AC died (completely, no lights even after I unplugged it and plugged it back in). She responded to that email just to blame a brief power outage that occurred over an hour prior to the AC quitting. It came back up just fine after the power blip and was even still on our settings. So despite my emailing her all of my complaints, she only acknowledged the AC complaint and blamed to power outage. The lack of caring is evident all around this property. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. They just don't care at this location.

I stayed in two separate rooms during my stay and both were dirty and had multiple bugs in each. I waited over 15 minutes for check-in of my second room while someone was sitting in the back office. My second room smelled of cigarette smoke and the shower tub was lined with a pink mold.

Our stay was wonderful! Comfortable beds, convenient to restaurants, stores, and gas stations. Breakfast and pool was great. Front desk was very helpful with fast check for our family wedding weekend.

No one at front desk to check you in. I had to go back outside and call the hotel to get front desk help. Front desk staff not trained and not helpful. They did not clean our room when we were out all day because there was no sign for maid service in the room. There was shampoo and conditioner on the floor from previous guest which means they didn't even clean when we first arrived. They moved us (seniors) to another room and this one had a broken hall light and bathroom handle. I asked for the manager and she would not call me to address anything. The front desk filled out a ticket for the broken light. They said they are “willing” to move us again. God knows what else is wrong with the next room because we are not willing to move again. It is too hard for seniors to move into these rooms again and again, lugging our stuff because none of them should be rented if they are not fully functioning. The manager would not talk with me which speaks volumes about what this hotel turned into these last few years. I called Best Western customer service and got no help from them either. They talked to the front desk and was told maintenance and housekeeping were gone for the day! Why didn't they tell me that when he did the form to fix the light? Horrible, disgusting service. Never again will I ever stay here or any Best Western. Try the Holiday Inn instead.

I mean, it's a better option than the other hotels in Lapeer, but don't expect this place to not smell weird, have a room fully stocked, or have electrical outlets covered. I stay in this hotel a few times a year, so take that however you would like.

Hotel was not full but kept guests in the same area instead of spreading them out so when guests were making too much noise it became impossible to sleep and took the staff 1/2 hour to come and try to resolve the issue.

The front desk staff was clearly not having her best day from the moment we checked in. Was curt and non welcoming. We reported room issues such as holes in room wall, broken light, internet down, and pooling in the shower. There was no discount or resolution simply said someone would call. No call yet….

First contact as I pulled into the parking lot is that you cannot see the 'Best Western' signage so I wondered if I was at the right hotel. The girl who checked me in was miserable and the whole exchange was done without a please or than you! This hotel is jaded and pay it 'sell by' date. Hallway carpets are worn and I don't think the walls have seen paint in a few years. My room was on the 2nd floor at the other end of the hotel & I had 2vlarge bags. NO ELEVATOR! The room itself was clean but in need of repair (see attached pics). This was my 3rd hotel in 3 nights in different states on business . I choose to stay at Best Western hotels around the world and this was the most disappointing. I would not stay here again , it does not deserve the name. Could be greatly improved with some investment for updates.

Ive been staying at this hotel on and off for 20 years. It is near where my family is buried at Mt Hope cemetery and my mom and I would make a trip out of it, now I do this with my kids on occasion. It has seriously gone down hill (even before covid) This time the front end staff were rude and dismissive of concerns. The hotel pool and hot tub were seriously needing a cleaning and when informed that there were multiple bandaids and other debris in the pool did nothing about it. We pulled out at least 2 bandaids out they DAY after we let them know. The internet service was out the entire time we were there and when I asked about other options/solutions was shrugged off and said they were working on it... Spectrum isnt that crappy of a company to leave you without ANY service for 3+ days... and based on previous reviews I've found this place just doesnt provide free wifi as advertised. I was provided with a $30 "refund" for the internet but only because I asked for it, and when I asked about it was treated like I was an inconvenience. Overall I may not continue staying at this location when I need to return to Lapeer.

We arrived here because a close family friend was getting married. We were very pleasantly surprised by how clean and well kept the rooms and property were. We were also told they were short on housekeeping staff that day. We had just stayed at a different hotel the weekend before and this experience was so much better! Hot breakfast item options next morning and again the food was delicious!

This hotel was not up to the standards I usually find when staying at a Best Western. While the front desk went out of their way to get us keys that worked, they were unable to help us to get the internet to work. Our non-smoking room smelled bad...a mixture of smoke and failed room freshener.

My signature was forged and they told me it was my name on the paper so I still have to pay it I stayed with my kids at Lapeer Best Western so they could have fun swimming and I get a horrible nightmare instead. There's a special kind of karma for people like this.

Stayed here prior Covid and was happy. Room good & clean. Bar & restaurant. Unfortunately, bar and restaurant not open at this time but there was a Buffalo Wild wings and 2 other restaurants within walking distance. Service is top notch. Will not hesitate to stay again.

Room had everything we needed, was clean & staff was wonderful! The hotel has lots of great features for families or services for business travel. And very convenient location- it worked out great for our trip!

Unable to change dates of arrival and had to pay full price to make any date changes. Internet did not work after being promised it would be fixed. Poor staff at front desk who showed did not care about customers needs.

All hotels worker we encounter were kind and always providing what we asked and needed. My family had a great stay!! We had a good sleep always because the place is always quiet. I love their breakfasts too!

We stayed here to visit family. Mostly loved the facility, but the room air was excessively dry, which impaired sleeping. Staff were late in shoveling several inches of snow off the sidewalk, so I did it myself at 10 AM.

The hotel seem ok. Staff was friendly. Pool nice. However the pull out sofa was staind and had cheetos smash all over it. So the moved us room. The next room the toilet seat had red stuff all over we it.

Went here for a night away for my birthday with my husband. Location is great for walking to near by stores and entertainment. Beds are very comfy and the full breakfast doesn't disappoint. This hotel has always been my first choice when I need to get away.

The building is fairly nice and in a great central location. I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room though. Some of the bathroom lighting didn't work, there was stuff all over the mirrors, debris in the drawers, the hair dryer and it's cord was full of dust. I understand a lot of places are short handed right now given the pandemic, but on the same note the room was still $200/night, so we would expect a clean and functional room. The breakfast food was decent. The pool area was beautiful with the waterfall and it's nice they have an outdoor sitting area to eat, read, or hang out when the weather is nice!

The room was very comfortable. The customer service was very friendly and polite. The hotel was clean everywhere I went including the parking lot area. The breakfast in the morning before I checked out was delicious

Understand storms generally cause outages but I only lost my ac/ tv. When I asked at desk all I got was I don't know . There were no lights in hall, pitch black. Desk staff should have gone to doors or told everyone to meet or something!! Some sketchy people in that place. After reading they provide shelter rooms I know why now. No offer of credit in fact I'm sorry would have helped. Had to rush out at 6 so didn't get to stay and talk to desk and thought I'd call from work. phones out. I'll be writing corporate. By no means is it their fault for storms and power. It IS their fault for poor handling. No safety lights is a violation! And to have only a couple rooms with half power is a problem.

When I walked into the lobby, I was greeted by a significant employee. She was so nice and made checking in my room for the weekend easy and efficient. The room I had was so clean, cute heart shaped hot tub, with powerful jets. The fireplace was spectacular and warm. The heat and AC actually worked in the king size bedded room that was huge for little o' me. The breakfast was actually great. Other guests there was friendly. The court yard was beautiful physically and from my window. Game room they had was entertaining.. Great selection of local restaurants and movie theater near by. I'm coming back!

A family emergency brought us to the Best Western Lapeer location for three nights. Whether you are traveling for business or vacation there are 2 things the consumer expects a hotel to be- 1. Safe 2. Clean This hotel was neither. Let me explain. We noticed right away that the hallway carpets were beyond filthy. Our room seemed alright but when you took time to look things had a high level a grime (mini fridge, carpet, bathroom floor, walls/doors). We picked this hotel because they have a really neat pool and hot tub with a waterfall. Each time we went to check how busy the pool was it was packed with little kids. We thought perhaps the hotel rents the area for parties or a large family was staying at the hotel? Then we realized there were *a lot* of sketchy people hanging around. The kind of folks that don't look like they are traveling, vacationing, or working. When bringing in our luggage we learned that the key pads to the parking lot doors were not working. I would wait at the door for my family to run to the car and back to insure they could get in safely. While waiting several young ladies with small children came out for a smoke break. We started up a conversation and I learned one of them was a single mother, age 20, eight months pregnant, with a 4 year old son (who was filthy from head to toe wearing only a very soiled diaper that hung down between his knees). She was barefoot, wearing a white wifebeater tank top with no bra. While we were talking her friend asked if she thought the insect bites that they had all over their legs were from bedbugs or mosquitos. That is when the picture became clear- Best Western Lapeer was also acting as a shelter. Now, we used to work for an inner-city shelter for over 10 years. We know what we were seeing. These folks need a place to go BUT it is not good to blend business and social work. What typically comes with people like this is- mental health issues, child neglect, substance abuse, idleness, and illegal activity. We are quite sure we witnessed all of this. We asked the front desk staff to confirmed our suspicions and we were right. Our suggestion is DO NOT STAY HERE. We want to be sure to say the staff was nice, friendly, and helpful. The bed was clean and comfortable. The shower was hot. Breakfast was good. But not worth it. Waste of $$$. Not Classy.

Hotel is overpriced. Tv service is generally not working. Internet rarely worked. If you are not in need of Tv or internet then this property may be for you. Does have decent indoor pool and sauna. If you are on a business trip this is probably not the place for you.

Very nice older motel. Good value, however it lacks a good cleaning staff. The floors were dirty and trash laid under anything it could hide under. Could easily get a higher rating if it was cleaned up and keep clean.

I asked for a jacuzzi room with a balcony when I booked online. This hotel has no balcony rooms. We were given a king room, no jacuzzi. Nobody offered to make it right, even when I asked about upgrading.

needs attention to amenities I know with the pandemic there are limited dollars to spend. When I notified the front desk that the room clock was off by 1/2 hour and could not be reset. Th front desk said she would notify maintenance (crickets), she then indicated that she would come down and look at it (crickets) when I request one from another room, the front desk indicated that were expecting a full house. When checking out with a different desk person - she indicated that they had extras and that should have been the result.

Overall OK, sometimes receptionist was nice, other times seemed putout. Entrance we were asked to use was broken, had to walk to a different entrance. 4 girls in room, we kept having to ask for TP as the rolls are very small.

My husband and I stayed for 1 night just to have a night to ourselves. We do this once a month, not always here but have stayed here a few times and always happy with our stay. Workers are friendly. Rooms are very clean. Love the bar/restaurant

Pool and jacuzzi packed with kids; salt water used instead of chlorine, was sticky; candy wrappers floating in water; hair flying out of drains in jacuzzi in room, and it wasn't mine! Pub closed, front desk never told us at check in, even though we mentioned using it.

1. Pulling into the parking lot, there was trash literally everywhere..it was disgusting. 2. Even more trash walking from our car to the building. 3.Disrespectful kids outside not letting us enter while carrying all of our bags inside. 4. The downstairs level when you walk in smells like a ashtray, then we get to our room and the neighbors are having a PARTY! People in and out all night long blasting music. 5. Our room SMELLED HORRIBLE. The bed was harder then a rock along with the old nasty pillows. I feel ripped off and cheated of my HARD EANRED MONEY!

The hotel did not follow Covid-19 protocol. Even though this was a non-smoking hotel, it reeked of pot. The pool was always over covid capacity. They were always out of the grab and go breakfast. TERRIBLE HOTEL!!!!

I was happy with the room, but cleaning staff did not pull out the fold out couch when cleaning and there was food all over the bed sheets. We brought extra blankets so we covered it. The hot tub was filthy and gave my daughter a rash.

The front desk needs some hospitality training. Not rude but indifferent. the whirlpool room was very clean and great room. Bar/restaurant was great. Fish was very good and the service was spot on. Bed was hard

Spent valentines weekend to hang out and just relax and to catch up on sleep . Beds where nice and comfy . Cable should have more options and maybe a choice to rent movies but overall stay was good and quiet and I got caught up on my rest

Checked in and lobby was clean and looked nice. Was assigned to second floor. No elevator, we were capable but with kids and luggage that was a pain. Room was not clean at all. Found French fry under bed, bathroom needed wiping down. We had a suite so there was a table and I had to Lysol that off. Luckily due to covid I had plenty cleaning supplies. I would have asked for different room but my kids had already dropped their belongings and headed to the pool. Pool wasn't super warm. It's a large room and I assume hard to maintain temperature. My two year old sons lips were blue after 30 mins. Restaurant has standard bar food, nothing special.

My family and I love the best Western in lapeer Michigan. My children always have so much fun in the pool area. The vending are always stocked as needed. Room service is always very direct. We love staying with this hotel. Always very clean as well.

It is very nice and clean with friendly employees. Due to covid restrictions we were unable to use the pool to capacity limits. We also miss the breakfast due to covid. It is usually quiet but this time there were kids running through the halls screaming and when they got upstairs it sounded like a herd of elephants running through the halls.

The page for this hotel talks about all the supposed steps they are taking to keep things safe during the COVID pandemic. I must say that I don't think this hotel is doing ANY of the things they claim they are. When we walked through the door to check in, the staff behind the counter were not wearing masks, nor were the guests checking in before us. There were no temperature checks, like we've seen at other hotels upon entering. None of the guests in the hallways were wearing masks. Seeing the disregard the staff had for safety precautions, it made us doubt whether the rooms were actually sanitized the way they claimed they were, either. The rooms are comfortable and, on the surface, look clean. This is not our first time staying here and we usually have a good experience. But, if you are looking for a clean hotel that is taking precautions for COVID - this is NOT it. I will not stay here again until all the COVID issues calm down and, even then, I'm not sure I will. I lost a lot of respect for this hotel and I can't, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone when they just didn't appear to care about the safety of their guests.

The hotel itself was pretty nice and so was the room. The whole hallway, entryway to our room and walk to the pool smelled so strongly of Marijuana it gave multiple of us headaches. We had requested a late check out (1 pm) confirmed by calling, upon booking, and at check in. At noon on check out day they sent housekeeping to ask us to leave. When talking with the desk and showing my receipt of late check in he informed me “his staff was trained just last week not to do that and we had 20 minutes to leave” he was the rudest most unprofessional hotel staff perosn I've encountered in a long time.

The first room i was given wasn't the room i reserved online after going back to the front desk to inquire about the mix up, I was charged an additional 40 dollars to get the "reserved" room. Nevermind the people smoking in the hallway or crowded birthday party with people in and out all night slamming the door. The NO BREAKFAST Was a topper on the awful sleepless night.. SHOCKED THEY ARE USUALLY AMAZING SMH...

We stayed here for one night and was a bit disappointed that the room we reserved (king suite) was not what was pictured on website (2 room separated by bath). We asked at desk and they would move us to a suite with 2 queens for more money..he had to wait for housekeeping. We figured due to the virus we would just stay in the room assigned. Very nicely remodeled room!! Our view was the pool roof..no view..Very clean!! Would stay again

The rooms were very clean and smelled good upon arrival. Everything was very tidy. The hotel staff was amazing. The pool and hot tub were great too. The room itself was big and had lots of space. I had a lot of fun!!!

Needed time to relax. Having work done on our basement that flooded. The room was clean and comfortable. Pool was open and the kids really enjoyed it. The restaurant there was slow so we went somewhere else to eat.

Convenient, good rates, helpful staff. Not a new place but well kept. Have suggested by replacing the switch and outlet plates would aesthetically "freshen up" the rooms, especially the bathrooms. Too bad "Ted's" hadn't reopened yet due to the COVID restrictions. Always appreciated the option of having a drink or two with a meal, and friends and colleagues, out on the patio then just walk to your rooms. Missed, but always appreciated and took advantage of, the breakfast option too.

Staff was very helpful and had no issues with bringing us extra blankets. Staff stopped by every morning asking if we needed anything for room. We forgot tooth paste and the first night front desk gave up tooth paste so we didn't have to go out.

Ever since this location hired an extremely forgetful Very Vety inexperienced Young Girl. It has become an Expensive and EXTREMELY LONG CHECK IN for Me.As I normally stay at this location because of Hospital visits and tests. This Adolescent has made me NOT JUST MISS MY APPOINTMENTS, but has a Tremendous Difficulty Remembering or Showing Her You Statues and /or Rewards!! Apparently anything Special Must Directly Come Out of HER POCKET! Or So She ALWAYS MAKES IT SEEM! Very embarrassing.

A nice hotel, but like some others that I have stayed at, they store their towels next to the TOILET. Ask any woman what happens when her guy (or son) tinkles. They have a nice restaurant and bar attached to the hotel with good food and prices.

I thought the people were nice at the front desk. Thoroughly grossed out when finding finger nails in between the sheets. it was like they just pulled up the sheets and remade the bed with dirty sheets..The halls were littered with garbage and people playing games.

This room was great it had it all living room space king bed. Kitchenette .. Jacuzzi tub In bath room. If we had more time we would've stayed a whole week room was great.Great location to gas station nearby restaurants nearby main highway room service was wonderful and they didn't charge extra

We have stayed at the Best Western in Lapeer MI about 20 days this year. Each & every time we have had a Great Stay. The Staff is friendly & very helpful. They have gone out of their way to make our stay Special. Housekeeping staff is excellent. Pool & Arcade the grand kids just Love. See ya Soon

I didnt get the room I had booked over the phone, the front desk manager was extremely rude and kept rolling her eyes. I said thank you and she ignored me, she was huffing and puffing around and was extremely annoyed by the situation and myself. Also I was holding a bday party at the hotel for my 5 year old and 10 year old having an pool party. 2 kids has stole goggles of ours and I talked with her parents around it and they cussed me out in front of my children and the other kids that were at the party. I went to the front desk and asked them to check the camera they said they would and never got back to me and never asked me about the situation again. I was extremely dissatisfied and when my friends and family from Nebraska come to town they stay here. I will no longer tell them to do so, we will go across the street to holiday inn.

The room was tired looking and needs updated. The bedding and pillows were very worn and need to be replaced. Cobwebs in corner of room and huge stain on ceiling. The location of hotel is convenient to shopping, gas stations and mostly chain restaurants. Unfortunately, Best Western is only 1 of 2 large hotels in Lapeer so your choices are limited. If you have heavy luggage, request the first floor as there is no elevator. The free hot breakfast seemed popular as it offered eggs, sausage gravy/biscuits, etc.

Our perfect stay started with a phonecall to check for early check-in. A very friendly staff member was upbeat, helpful and able to confirm early check-in within 1 minute. I was sure to find her and thank her at check-in. The young lady who checked us in was equally very kind, professional, informative and speedy. Even a team member on the other end of a walkie/talkie call communicated in a very professional and eloquent manner. A housekeeping associate was sure to smile and greet us as we passed in a hallway. We stayed here twice, once on the way to Toronto, and once on the way back. This was a nice, affordable, clean, comfortable and quiet hotel. The staff was very friendly. Conveniently located as well, lots of restaurants around, and several grocery stores in close proximity. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place tucked away in Lapeer. Very nice suite on first floor. Within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Close to freeway exit. Quiet rooms, indoor pool, fitness center and on site restaurant

Stayed as a stopover on a road trip - not a lot of options in this area. Front desk staff were fantastic, very helpful, friendly and polite. Hotel interior has a tired/dated feel - squeaky floors, steep stairwells and a bit of an odour....but definitely clean. Room was average, - bathroom was pretty dated (think typical beige fixtures of the 90s...) but again, clean. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Pool area is fun - waterfall and lots of lounge chairs (towels were strangely teensy). Outdoor courtyard patio was the best part - great to relax out in the sun, peace and quiet. (*Note: if you're looking to go out for fun and not drive, there were no taxis, buses or uber/lyft in this town - stranded!) Good shopping options in immediate vicinity with Meijer, Kohl's and Marshalls right nearby and a Starbucks next door. Overall no major complaints about the property but definitely 2.5 stars and felt it was overpriced.

We were in town for a wedding and this hotel was recommended. It was affordable, clean, comfortable and had what we were looking for. I am surprised they don't have more weddings here as there is space. It was great they had a pub. Everyone was so helpful and a great value.

We stay two or more times year for extended periods and it is always a fantastic experience. Good service, good breakfast and some of the best people working there. Stay there and you will not be disappointed.

Nice spacious room. Meijers with gas station right across the road! When I'm in unfamiliar territory a gas station right next door is a huge plus. Nice breakfast and lovely pool. Patio area was also very nice. Only drawback in my opinion were the stairs. My knees aren't like they used to be so this was a minor inconvenience. Nothing that would keep me from booking again.

Condition,cleanliness and comfort of this Hotel are horrible. Feel totally ripped off. Wont stay here again. Overpriced for the location, condition and amenities. The west wing is closed down for renovation and is way overdue

We stayed only one night but the room was great very quiet even though it was a ground floor room in a busy town and very close,to the road. We had a whirlpool suite and the whirlpool was big and the jets worked well. The room was extremely clean.

Only negative was that hotel was a little hard to see from the street as it is set back. Area offered many fastfood options. Grounds and hotel were well cared for in a smalltown atmosphere. Would stay again.

The Best Western had signs for construction, but as a guest I never knew it. Everything was great! Service, cleanliness, and comfort was great! We only had one hiccup and that was just the blow dryer in the bathroom. The room layout was my favorite! Love Love Loved it!

The reason for my stay was i had to have some surgery done the next day and i live up north so my mom booked a room for me so i was close to the hospital My stay was great from start to end. The staff was very friendly. i will be back again

I have stayed in Best Western Lapeer many times. The quality never changes, it's always excellent! The staff is receptive and helpful, the rooms clean and quiet, the breakfast good. I have seen all kinds of guests from families to construction and truck drivers. With that kind of variety you know it has to be good.

Positives, pool area nice for kids, even has pool table. Air hockey and video games. Breakfast was good. Negative, entire hotel needs remodeling and facelift. Overpriced should only be $65 per night or less

This property is one of the best kept in the area! Always clean and well taken care of! Rooms are very well taken care of. Housekeeping is the best! Breakfast is always good with a better select than you normally get at most places. Front desk is manned 24hrs and with Friendly, Helpful staff

Sparkling clean linens and towels, the entire room was clean and smelled good! Everything was in good working condition in the room. The breakfast room was clean and there was a nice selection of foods!

I surprised my husband with a night away. The amenities were just what we needed for some sleep and relaxation. Staff was nice and the restaurant was very good. Will be recommending to friends that need a night away from reality.

We had a FABULOUS experience, mostly. Everything was clean and nice. Our "additional requests" when we booked online were met and ready in our room upon arrival. Breakfast was good, pool was good, atmosphere was good. Our only negative is that the hot water took FOREVER to get remotely warm. We had booked a room with a whirlpool tub for 2 and it took about 20 minutes for the water to get warm enough so we could plug the tub and let it fill. This was disappointing, but at least it filled the tub eventually. We would stay again.

Kelly and her staff have a clean,good value hotel . The pleasant smiles and assistance are what keeps us coming back. Unfortunately the poo had to be closed on Mon. disappointing kids, but it was a saftey issue.

There was a dirty sock in the bathroom. Beyond me how that could be missed. Remodeling of entire other side of hallway that they never told me about upon renting the room. It was dirty and dusty. Half the hallway was lined with plastic. There were a very large group of kids who ran up and down the hallways all night and again very early in the morning. When there were no towels in the pool and I called front desk, I was told to get my own. Minor but significant details that make me not want to go back.

Stayed one night to swim and have a night away. Front desk was very helpful and tried all he could to get my gift card to work. But best western wouldnt do anything for me. Said there was a balance of 81 dollars that was being held they never accommodated me. I never received my 81 dollar credit in any form and it was a best western gift card. How can money be held or frozen? The hot tub was dirty it was producing bubbles with a dirty film on top.

Top notch comfort and cleanliness, professional employees, along with all of the amenities of home. Such as a hot breakfast, refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer, and iron are what makes them our preferred place to stay ... Our home away from home! Thank you! :)

This hotel is great, they always try to go out of their way to make your stay better. It is close to meijer for easy shopping if needed and there is even a food place all around it. The hot tub is a big bonus.

Only stayed one night but would have enjoyed staying a week! Very clean, comfortable bed, hot shower! Very nice employees! Great location, easy walk to restaurants and shopping. Great breakfast! What more do you need?!

When we checked in we were informed there was no heat in the pool room. The only reason we picked this hotel.is because of the pool. We weren't offered any compensation, we were basically told sorry about your luck. The hotel is also under construction which was not disclosed when we booked.

Best Western Lapeer is awesome. The staff are knowledgeable and very friendly. The amenities are terrific. The breakfast room has so many great choices. I have enjoyed my stay there every time. Oh, don't forget to pick up a fresh cookie or two when you check in!

My parents and I stayed here the first weekend in August and were immediately welcomed by the friendly staff! The employees here are second to none; every single employee I passed or met said hello with a smile, asked me how I was, etc. The front desk folks made sure to accommodate my parents with a first floor room (a necessity, with the lack of elevator), our rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We loved the pool area!! The breakfast was great, as well. I honestly couldn't give this a 5* because of the lack of elevator. The stairs to the second floor are very steep; it wouldn't be so bad if there was a landing midway up, but it's a straight shot up that's difficult to navigate with luggage. The hotel has undergone renovations recently - it wouldn't be that complicated or costly to put in a few elevators. Management, if you're reading this, I seriously suggest you pursue this option for your guests! All in all, I will definitely stay here again.

I was surprised with a adult night a way that was close too home. Although the hotel is going through upgrades the building was clean and quite. The more modern look and feestyle was a great touch. Over all stay was one of the rest I have had lately.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite for our 30th wedding anniversary! Great motel and the staff was wonderful! The room was perfect!We will definitely stay there again! Would highly reccomend this motel to our friends and family!!

I stayed in this hotel while in the area for business. I was glad to see that they were doing some renovations as the place was pretty outdated and needed some love. The continental breakfast was also pretty dreadful and felt more like it was only offered so they could say the had it. Despite that, they did offer a few amenities like a pool table, fitness room, and a small bar/restaurant attached.

Although the property under renovation it did not seem cluttered or messy. The new room I stayed in was beautiful and the staff friendly as always. I have stayed here many times over the years and have always been happy with the hotel.

I have been involved with this group of men for the past 6 years in our annual golf trip. Our group has been staying there for many more years than I have been attending. The Best Western Lapeer has just undergone renovations and a new facelift. As usual there is lots of parking, friendly staff, the rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool area is very clean and refreshing. During our stay the weather was very humid and the air in our room and the entire hotel was nice and cooling. Nick the manager is there and is very approachable with any concerns, but he also wants to make sure our stay is friendly and relaxing. I will be returning again next year.

Very convenient and comfortable hotel. Staff (especially front desk) was great. It was nice to have a restaurant/lounge on site. Some renovations/remodeling were ongoing which will make this stay even better in the future.

Very nice hotel. Hot tub was wonderful. Staff was accomadating. I cant wait to see the new rooms. Lots of nature trails near by. Lots of shopping center within walking distance. I will be back again..

Not a single complaint about our stay. The room was exceptional in cleanliness, decor and amenities. We chose this motel based on the limited availability of others during the Labor Day weekend,. It exceeded our expectations. The town of Lapeer was not a disappointment either.

I come to Lapeer every year to visit my daughter and her family. This year was extremely important because my granddaughter was getting married and my great-grandson from another granddaughter turned 2. Lots going on, but the staff at the Best Western made sure my stay was stress-free.

We traveled from Pittsburgh, PA to Lapeer, Michigan. After a 6 hour trip the Bestwestern staff was soooooo accommodating. Very nice ppl. The hotel is under construction for improvements but you could not tell, it was very quiet. Rooms were very, clean and huge. The pub in the hotel was great as well. Thumbs up all around from the service, cleanliness, breakfast and amenities. Thank you Bestwestern staff.

Stayed here for a family wedding- hotel staff was wonderful and the bar/tavern staff was awesome, very accommodating for our large group. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nicely decorated.

We had an "incident" across the hall at 2:30 a.m. until 3:20 a.m., where a man with a sawzaw was trying to saw through the deadbolt. I called the desk and they were sorry for the "inconvenience." In the morning I asked for a reduction on the room and management refused. They offered late check out. Absolutely unacceptable. Small town, small mind, completely unprofessional hiding behind the hired help. Get an elevator!

Driving in from Tennessee, first bad thing was no elevator... when we arrived at 1:30 a.m. Friday morning. Clerk said “oh, I forgot to tell you! There's no elevator! Then there was no one to help us take all our luggage up a very steep flight of steps to the second floor. We had booked two rooms for 4 days, we thought. My husband passed away and we were for the Memorial. We had confirmation number and name of lady we talked to. On Saturday, I got a phone call from the desk clerk to “Leave the room now!” They had booked to someone else. Of course, I'm in shock and tried to explain that we had reservations. She wouldn't listen to me and kept telling me to leave now,...our whole party. We asked to speak to someone with authority and she refused. My daughter tried to talk to this clerk also and she told her also “leave now! She must have told us 4 to 5 times to “leave now”. We had never had problems at any hotel so this was a first! To top it off, we found that she had charged us a higher rate for the rooms we were staying in than we were told. After we we we're rudely and unjustly “thrown out “, we fortunately found a room in the the same area for the remainder of our trip. We definitely didn't need this after the loss of my husband and my daughter and son losing their dad. After the Memorial, I called the Best Western Corporate office and reported the incident. The same day, my daughter, still upset, called the Best Western Hotel where we stayed and asked for a manager. We found out that the hotel had already planned to move us to different rooms before this incident and the clerk hadn't bother checking with management. She took it upon herself to tell us to get out of there immediately. We were so embarrassed and humiliated, and then found out the mistake was right there at the front desk. At this point, my family or I will never again stay at a Best Western Hotel.

It was a very lovely hotel, the ladies at the desk were very helpful and friendly , internet worked great there was no lagging. The bar had good food and our server was very friendly, we will definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel with great pool and hot tub area it was under renovations but we didn't hear anything , the rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable, the area around the hotel has lots of restaurant options and its far enough away from the main roads that you don't hear any traffic , we will stay here again

Used the bar/restaurant, breakfast area, and pool. All were very nice and room was great. The parking lot entrance is a little tricky but manageable. The bar/restaurant was very convenient and very good.

For the last couple of years, this hotel has been under renovation. It never seems to be completed. It needs work and the rooms could be brought up to date. Breakfast is ordinary and nothing to make you want to stay for.

The front desk staff where extremely pleasant and quick to check me (CLC user here), which is wonderful when your tired, beat and ready to shower and get to bed. AC worked great, room had a relaxing smell (big deal to me), bed was soft and comfortable, and shower had plenty of water pressure!

The Lapeer Inn BestWestern in Lapeer Michigan is an excellent place to stay. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful constantly making sure that our stay was perfect. If you are in the area stay there

Great Hotel. Great Location. Average Priced. POOR on recognizing Rewards Members and offering them either a bag or extra points. Security cameras everywhere, and looks like remodeling is going on!!!!!

Room 1 smelled very strongly of cleaner and pet, after I had just been asked to sign a form acknowledging no pets and no smoking. Requested a room that smelled fresher. Hallway smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke. Room also smelled a bit off. Floor could use vaccuuming. At this point we were really too tired to switch motels or ask to see another room. Blankets are thin, but heating does work well. Pool area was noisy and crowded, towels, inconveniently were not supplied in area but apparently needed to be requested at front desk. Fitness room was very warm (?) with 3 dirty towels thrown on floor. Was not offered wi-fi code, however, when used, wi-fi was very very slow. Next time I will try Holiday Inn Express for $20 less. I do not feel this room is good value for a BW, and for a motel room in this area. Was at Southfield's BW around 2 weeks ago, which, in contrast to this, was pristinely clean, well appointed and with a regular comforter. (ok, only small complaint there was no tub and low-flow shower which was difficult to wash hair with).

Customer service was great. Rooms were clean. Breakfast had a good selection. Hotel is close to every thing. Room and hall smelled of smoke the whole time we were here. Rooms and the rest of hotel is like an OVEN had to turn on the air conditioner every day. We were here in the middle of winter. No place to hang up wet things in room after going to pool. So by the second day the bath room was completely wet. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR IN THIS PLACE!!!!! Could not get the window open pretty sure this could be a problem if there was a fire and can't get out of the room.

This is our second stay at this hotel. Friendly staff, clean hotel and rooms, but could not get the temperature adjusted....our room was a sauna. The other couple we were with had the comments. Will need to stay there again this summer, hopefully temperature will be adjusted.

I stayed at the Best Western Lapeer Inn from Jan 4-6, 2018 and had an excellent experience. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful, from the front desk, the maids and the breakfast room attendant Pam. The accommodations are very good, the breakfast is wonderful, the workout room well-appointed, the pool, whirlpool, game room and gathering room by the pool are first class. I cannot say enough good things about this Best Western and I will not stay anywhere else when I visit Lapeer, MI. Well done BW!

Due to the extreme cold, we needed an outdoor outlet to plug our diesel pickup truck in. Two staff at this hotel went out of their way to help us with this and it truly helped us enjoy our stay even more, and give us peace of mind. The hotel chain where we always stay at, couldn't assure us of this service, so we didn't stay there.

We stay at The Best Western often and the Lapeer BW is one of our favorites. Great pool area and hot tub. Beautiful rooms with plenty of space. I highly recommend this location for your next hotel stay.

I stayed in this Hotel October 23 and received a charge on my Credit card for a dinner at Ted's December 21, 2 months later. Not sure how and why they keep my credit card info on hand to be able to do this. When I confronted the Hotel they just said they did an audit and found I owed it, when I checked out I signed it was all set. Customer service here is terrible when you have a problem.

Very nice in every way even during a snowstorm. Staff courteous, rooms clean and well appointed. Although we didn't use the fitness center, it looked quite nice as well as a game room for children. Had both an indoor and outdoor pool.

Large, quiet clean comfortable room Had a refrigerator but no microwave; one was available 24 hours in breakfast room Laundry room has 2 washers and dryers; $1.25 each. Dryers worked well Free hot breakfast: eggs, sausage and gravy, sausage links. waffles, cereal, fruit. Sports bar in motel has decent food at reasonable price; I had BLT and it was pretty good. Several places to eat close to motel: Buffalo Wild Wings on corner next to motel, Burger King, Wendys, McDonalds a short walk and other places to eat a short drive away.

We have had continuous too quality stays. Staff is great and rooms are clean and comfortable. We ordered carry out food from the attached restaurant, Ted's, and that is always good as well. The staff is professional from booking until check out.

I stayed in this hotel many years ago, and found it to be dingy. Clearly, upgrades and renovations have taken place, and everything is much brighter and cleaner. There was a mixup with our room assignment, but it was quickly resolved. The outlets in our room stopped working, and we were unable to get that resolved prior to checkout. The staff were helpful with the problem, and I am sure the issue was addressed. The beds were large and clean, with an assortment of pillows. As is often the case, the heating system/fan was noisy. The breakfast room was fairly small for the size of the facility, but was not overrun when I was there. The food selection was typical. I would happily stay here again, when I return.

Needs elevator to second floor. Thought it a little expensive for an older hotel. Stayed here several times in the past, was not offered $20voucher to Ted's which was always offered.in past. Used hot tub. Close to Meijer's and Krogers Tim Horton's ans Starbucks. On main road toward Detroit.

Nicest Best Western I have stayed in. I usually stay in Marriotts and this was clean, well managed and up-to-date. The countertops in the bath and kitchenette area were relatively new and very clean. Modern flat screen TV, breakfast down the hall and excellent WiFi. I would for sure recommend this to anyone playing in a tournament down the street at Polar Ice.

Staff is extremely caring, helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean. Items that I had forgotten were available from hotel. Bar tenders even helped to open our bottles of wine that we brought with us. The layout is nice. Pool area is clean and calming

The breakfast really was lovely compared to the more expensive comfort inn hotel at the airport during our stay. Nice fixings for oatmeal or yogurt. Hot food with actual protein choices. Coffee and other fluids all the time. It was really helpful to have the small gym. Weight machine is limited but the 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical and 1 recumbent bike was useful as the area is too congested to run. Lots of shopping and eating options within walking distance. We were always able to park near the door. And military discount is significant much appreciated, made a big difference in the choice of this hotel. The pool is really pretty, warm, and hot tub that is acutally hot!. Play and game area too. It's really cozy and different from a chain hotel.

Always a pleasant place to stay. Good service and amenities Enjoy the water features hot hub ans the pool Close to shopping and restaurants. I have visited this area at least two times a year with my family and is the only place I stay at after staying a another hotel in Lapeer.

Staff was friendly but the hotel carpets needed some TLC and the TV remote and hair dryer did not work. The breakfast was standard. The hallway carpets were stained and worn. The TV control had to be replaced. We showered before leaving when we discovered the hairdryer didn't work. There is a light that normally glows so staff don't look to see if it is operational when cleaning.

Worst stay ever at any hotel I have ever been at. And I have been to alot of hotels. Ac broke first night and it was surface of the sun hot outside. Called the next day to get it fixed while we were at my son's wedding. Got back to the hotel at 1130pm and the room was a sweat box. Called the desk and the only thing they said is we don't have anyone who can fix it so you have to move to another room. After a reseption and just having had a triple bypass in the last year or so that was fun. So the room had air YEA. fast forward to 330 am and what can only be described as the cast from Cirque de Soleil decide to start a passionate love making session. Their bed mush have been directly next to us on the same wall. The pictures above out heads were swinging. I tried knocking on their door and the wall between us to no avail. Finally I called the front desk and about 45 minutes later I thing the wore out. Talked to the desk when I checked out and they gave me a whopping 25 dollars off. Now after 2 nights of no sleep I get to drive 9 hours home to PA. All I can say is last time for me. This is not a fake review, I stayed there September 22 and 23, and my name is David Gregory.

very clean rooms with a great staff, spectacular pool that you can actually do laps in a large hot tub, work out area with treadmills, walking distance to good restaurants and probably the best motel breakfast we have had

Usually I stay at Holiday inn Express or the Marriott but the rooms and facility areas are about same quality maybe slightly better but nothing to justify charging 3x as much. Food was good, pool was clean, bar was reasonably priced and had great food.

Returning to home from Maine, was quite a trip. We left Freeport Maine on Friday with the plan to stop in Buffalo NY. The traffic was crazy, bumper to bumper all the way. With the traffic, we decided to drive a little farther. This end up being Lapeer due to traffic. The Best Western was a welcome site. The room we got was a whirlpool room. Not what we planned. The room was very nice and very comfortable. As we were exhausted, we went right to bed. The next morning we went to breakfast, which was ok. The area was small and many people had to take their food back to their rooms. All in all a welcome stop.

We stayed overnight for a wedding in the area. The room was clean, the staff friendly. Bar and grill great service and great food. Mixed drinks were pretty weak, I could see thru my Jack and Coke. Very nice pool area. Breakfast had a very good selection. I would stay here again if an occasion to do so came up.

Other than a squeaky door, the stay was excellent. The pool and hot tub are nice. Pool is open from 7 am to 11 pm. Breakfast offered a nice selection. The room was clean. Everything worked fine. All I had to do for checkout was return the room keys.

Compared to other hotels in the area, the Best Western is decent choice. Nothing special, but clean and comfortable. NOTE: This hotel has two floors and does not have an elevator. So if you have trouble getting up and down stairs or don't prefer to carry all your luggage up to the second floor, then this may not be the hotel for you.

We really love this hotel. The front desk staff is wonderful, the housekeeping staff is also wonderful. If we need anything they will gladly direct us to the right spot or they will if they can go get it for us. The rooms are always clean and fully stocked with towels and things for the bathroom. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Convenient to local shopping and restaurants.

Very nice staff, excellent breakfast, excellent room amenities and room is nice and cozy! We always enjoy our stay here. There is also a nice warm pool and a really nice hot tub after a long day shopping! Breakfast is included and is more than just the average ! The front staff do everything in their power to make your stay a wonderful experience! Sometimes they even bake cookies!

I've stayed in this Best Western almost every year since 2005. Before that, I took whatever was available. Once I stayed here, I knew that I had found a reliable, reasonably priced, clean place to stay when I came to visit my daughter and her family. I'll stay there again next year.

Grat place they offered myself and my wife 2 movie passes and a 25 dollar dinner. Amazing will send anyone here. Had an ok breakfast not to impressed with that. Got a good deal being rewards members though.

We were just passing through. Checked in late (11:00pm) and checked out at 9:00 am. Lobby was a bit dated but clean. Staff was friendly. Room was clean, but tight for 4 people. Bathroom was nice, but tight. I appreciate the fact they were trying to maximize space, but there wasn't much room for toiletries. Fitness center was good.....4 machines, a weight machine, and a yoga mat with stability balls. Pool looked nice, though we didn't take advantage. Breakfast was typical "meh". Hallways are dated......trippy carpet. Overall, a good place to stay for a night.

Old and dated but staff are great, rooms clean, easy access to several restaurants in the local area hotel lounge is good and friendly. Stayed here for last 4 years for a week at a time each year. Rates are reasonable. Will stay there again next year.

The room was quiet until wedding guests came back, phoned the night clerk about noise, still carried on for 80 minutes. He said just getting home. Wonderful front desk checking in and leaving. Pool was very cool, hot tub comfortable, waterfall in swimming area, nice touch. Had to get towels from front desk. Breakfast was a bit scarce compared to other BW's. Wonderful clean, comfortable room, would go back, if not on weekend. Would check first to see if wedding parties are booked. Morning wedding party breakfast, just as noisy as the night before. Night noise kept 2 out of 3 of us awake

My husband and I have stayed at the Best Western in Lapeer, Mi. for many years for staycations. I have also taken my grandchildren for the night on several occasions. The staff is very friendly. the rooms are very clean and the breakfast bar is awesome.

Our July 7th Trip back to Nova Scotia, We had the pleasure of staying at the Lapeer Inn, Lapeer Michigan. We found this BW a very great choice, will probably be our main stay when traveling through. Accommodations were very nice and the staff very helpful, There is a sports bar attached, and it's ok, we found the bar food to be quite salty so if you have a sodium problem, you might want to look around the area for a better choice to eat. Now, the place was busy, so if you just want to stay at the hotel and have a drink and relax, this might be a great place to do that.

Overall rated excellent. We were treated very courteously from front desk to housekeeping. The continental breakfast was very tasty and well presented. I have stayed at this motel previously and would still recommend staying there.

best western lapeer is a really nice hotel ,staff is great and helpful . pool is clean and weight room is great. local is perfect not far from Pontiac and birchrun areas. lots of great restaurants to choose from within walking distance of hotel as well as shopping just across the street.

The hotel was good and the beds are very comfortable. The indoor pool was very soothing because it contained a waterfall. The staff were professional and courteous. The breakfast was the usual and nothing was outstanding.

These people really watch out for their guests. I had cookies saved for me, and help with maps and directions for places I needed to be. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. I recommend Best Western Lapeer Inn highly.

The nearby competition was a mess of dust and renovation, and wouldn't budge on their high price, so the BW just became my go-to place in the Lapeer area. Nice, clean, comfortable room and bathroom, with a working iron! Good breakfast and coffee.

We stay here year after year for our golf outings. The location is great for our needs and is within easy walking distance of Meijer, Home Depot, Kohls etc, as well as restaurants. We enjoy the attached bar/restaurant very much (so you really don't have to leave the hotel if you don't want to do so). The indoor pool and exercise areas are very nice, as it the garden/patio area. We sometimes like to sit around in that area to discuss our game and enjoy a beverage. Great place to stay, wonderful staff that accommodate any requirements we have and consistently clean and welcoming.

Traveling across Ontario for first time and didn't realize that there would be long distances between accomidations on the 401 expressway. The facility was a last minute find. We were pleased that it was quiet and clean. Great indoor pool with large lounge area and interesting waterfall. Stafff were friendly and thoughtful. Will definitely stay here on our return trip.

Attended a wedding over the weekend at the Lapeer Country Club. This location was very close to the venue - a quick on/off the expressway. I was pleasantly surprised at how large our room was and how CLEAN! The staff at the desk was very helpful and pleasant! I would absolutely recommend this location for an overnight stay. The breakfast buffet wasn't bad either, although I think it was in a temporary location. The staff kept the items well stocked and the area clean. Very nice!

As it turned out, using Priceline phone (mobile) was half the price of using Priceline on the computer. It was a special mobile rate $54 vrs $105. So check around. I bid $49 and got it. It was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was clean, quiet, and had a great variety and quality breakfast. I would glady return.

Attended a wedding over the weekend. This was within the mile. Clean, pleasant staff, beautiful pool comfy bed and very spacious bathroom. Loved the noon checkout. Breakfast wasn't as hot as I like but overall a great night's stay.

Rooms were clean. Shower heads put out good flow. WiFi was no issue, Breakfast was only fair as fruit was a limited selection and there was no bacon either day. Checkout/in was simple and fast. Cookies were average in the evening.

This hotel was clean, inviting and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had variety and the area was clean. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. Our king bed room was large and had three chairs as well as the bed. There were plenty of towels and the bathroom amenities were great.

The front desk staff was always helpful and made sure we were well taken care of. I had a great stay here and I travel a good deal. I would not stay anywhere else if in the area. The game room was nice with pool and air hockey. The bar/rest had good food and great specials.

A recent 4 day stay at the hotel turned into a 2 week stay due to a family medical emergency. The staff at the hotel and restaurant were very kind and made this additional stay very comfortable and the best it could be considering the circumstances. I stay at the hotel about every 4 months and have nothing but the best to say about every experience. Excellent. Thank you!!!

Great breakfast bar, beds very comfortable and service is great. The only problem we had was a 2 hr delay on having our rooms ready! I would recommend this hotel because this is the first time we have had a long wait for rooms, usually they are ready when we arrive and we usually stay here at least twice a year!

Has all the features mentioned above and reasonable priced, even thought they do seem to be going up recently. You will have a refrigerator in your room which is all most necessary when traveling anymore.

Arrival was good room was ready for check in front desk was very helpful and friendly. Check-in area was clean and well-maintained. No elevator was hard for me to get to the second floor. Thought I was getting a suite with a separate room for the kids and it was one room combo. Wasn't too happy with that. Lot of choices for breakfast. Check out was easy everybody was friendly. Use room service and they brought it right up when I need an extra towels.

We arrived in the middle of the night after a long drive. When we arrived at the hotel, there was someone passed out drunk in the stairwell waiting to be picked up. Not the best way to arrive with 3 young children in the middle of the night. When we entered our room, it smelled like it had previously been a smoking room at some point in the hotel's history. Much of the hotel smells like it was previously a smoking hotel. The decor is very dated, the carpet isn't clean, especially in the stairways. We found the hotel to be dirty overall, and even one of our folded "clean" towels had lipstick on it. The breakfast was okay, however one morning I noticed that the oatmeal packets had been chewed by a mouse and there was mouse poop on them. I alerted the breakfast person who removed the package, but left all the rest of them, and didn't bother to wash the container they were in. The same egg omlets and sausage were served on Saturday and Sunday, and it looked like the omlets had been re-heated from the day before. The breakfast area was small and there were never enough chairs for everyone to sit down. The cleaning staff were complaining about guests in the hallways as we walked by. We asked to have extra towels brought to our room one night, and were told to come pick them up at the front desk. The next day, the cleaning staff took all of our towels including the extras, and didn't replace them with even the regular amount. Every time we tried to enter our room, it look at least 5-10 tries of putting the key card in. It didn't seem to matter how fast or slow we did it. The front desk staff were quite respectful, especially the woman who was working on 11/27.

Was a relaxing environment! We enjoyed the pool area with the hot tub. They had breakfast in the morning with eggs, biscuit and gravy , waffles, yogurt, etc. The staff was very helpful with directions in the area.

As a Best Western Rewards member, I only stay at Best Western Hotels. I have tried other hotel chains, but find that the standards of Best Western exceed my expectations. This property in Lapeer, Michigan, however, is an exception. I used my rewards for a free night stay and paid for an upgrade to a jacuzzi suite. Upon entering the room, I noticed marijuana residue and stems on the bathroom counter. Then I ran water in the hot tub only to find a big clump of hair floating around. The mirrors had hand prints and smears everywhere. The trim and moulding were water damaged and the doors that opened from the hot tub area into the bedroom were falling off the track. I brought the condition of the room to a member of management, and she immediately had us move to a cleaner room. She said she would check on adjusting our rate, but couldn't change it because of the room upgrade, and tried to get permission from her manager, who I assume is the owner, for a few complimentary drinks at the attached bar, Teds. She called a few minutes later to say that unfortunately the owner wouldn't agree to the complimentary drinks because we checked in at 4pm. The manager we worked with was very friendly and did all she could to resolve the issue, but unfortunately this property is very run down and outdated. The entrances in back have burned out lights, the stairways are under some kind if construction and the place does not, in my opinion, meet Best Western standards.

We had a camp wedding to participate in, in Lapeer, Michigan. A block of rooms were secured and we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Hotel there. Our grandchildren frolicked in the pool with us and enjoyed a quick snack afterwards, The next morning, we found the breakfast appealing and delicious, with fruit, waffles, eggs and sausage, followed by flavorful, abundant coffee. Yum! It was quite and comfortable for us all. Thank you for a good time for family! The Roberts'

The staff from check-in/out, the cleaning personnel and the lady working the breakfast area were so incredibly friendly that I felt very comfortable there. The room and bathroom were clean, including the corners, and very large for a hotel room. My only complaint is the instant coffee, but Starbucks is across the parking lot. It was also quiet, no road noise and I didn't hear the neighbors.

We stayed here for only one night as we were driving back from Ontario to Vancouver. Small town, bur very pleasant and a comfortable for a One Night Stay. Easy access to places to eat, shopping etc. Room was clean and had a fridge, would have been nice to have a microwave as well.

I stayed at the Best Western Lapeer for a wedding with several other family members of all ages. There was something to entertain everyone! The kids loved the pool w/ waterfall, the arcade games, the air hockey table, and the Game Stop next door. The adults loved the hot tub, pool table, and the bar (great food). The rooms were large and clean and the beds were comfy. Microwaves are only in some of the rooms and fridges are in all (as far as I know).

This Best Western was located near all sorts of shopping stores and entertainment venues. Our accommodations were very nice and staff was exceptionally helpful. Rooms are clean and everything in our room was in working order. We had no problems during this stay.

The Best Western Lapeer Inn was nice. The hotel was clean; the rooms were big; and we sleep very well. The bathroom vanity is small and they do not have any elevators. We will stay at this hotel again if we make it back to Lapeer.

okay. nothing special. the staff are pleasant. the coffee is awful. no amenities like bottled water. the pool is clean and well maintained. breakfast no so great but okay. cable channels are okay. guess all I can say is okay. you cannot get room service or bring alcohol back to your room from the restaurant.

I stayed here for a couple of nights with my children while my power was out at my house from a storm. I was very surprised as to what a hidden gem this place is...it is much nicer inside than I would have ever guessed. The pool area is quite nice and I now know where I will hold my daughter's next birthday party. The court yard is very relaxing, convenient location to everything. place is clean and very friendly staff.

What a pleasant surprise to find a bar/restaurant on site. You can walk 100 yards at be at the shopping mall, which was of interest to us. The room was comfy, with good beds and a large TV. The only negative, were the hall carpets, which need to be replaced. Good value for the price.

We experienced great customer service both at the front counter and in the restaurant...meal was great & very filling! room was clean, well looked after and we heard no noise at all during our stay. Quick efficient check-in, great beds and pillows...everything you need when you are away from home. We would stay there again anytime.

This was a great hotel to stay at. The staff was very helpful. They recommended places to eat and things to do nearby. There are many places to go that are either walking distance or a few minute drive. I would definitely stay at this location again.

This hotel is a good place to stay in Lapeer. It has a lounge/bar/restaurant attached and works as a good spot to meet up with fellow travellers. The hotel is clean, offers many amenities and has a great staff. There are places to which you can walk in the evening, including a Meijers, Home Depot, Kohls etc and restaurants to enjoy outside the hotel. Very nice, comfortable rooms and a good breakfast included. Recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent. But the carpet and lighting thru out the hallways was in very poor condition. I recommend that they remove the carpet and get floors that are washable and better lighting. This was the firs bad impression when I was going to my room; however the rooms were clean and nice.

This is the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at, and the service was wonderful :) I paid more than I wanted to, but spent less by being a rewards member and staying in Lapeer instead of a more "convenient" location. It was still close to everything, and walking distance from Meijer!

My mother passed in June of 2016. A memorial for July 31st, 2016 was scheduled for the family. Lodging plans went sour and we were very sad. Karen at Best Western rescued our failed lodging and turned a bad situation into a wonderful experience. Many thanks to Best Western and their staff!

Nice, average hotel. Staff was nice and rooms were clean. There aren't many options in the area. This is likely the best hotel you will be able to find. It's a busy area traffic wise. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in the area. We stayed there during while visiting relatives. We will likely stay there again.

Very nice property. Well kept. Excellent housekeeping!! Super breakfast. . Very CLEAN!! Excellent room and great beds! We have stayed often. This time was a bit of disappointment because of our room placement but we are certain that desk person probably is no longer there! Guess 1 bad experience out of many is not real bad. Good for family's and cost little high for the area, large increase in room rate from last year with no improvement in rooms . Side door to hotel is unsecured, smokers and trash near out side door Not sure security is very good after dark. Side door had tape on lock. .

Justin was great! When I made the reservation, I mentioned to him that we wanted to visit some of the local parks. We had never visited any place in lower Michigan. By the time we arrived, he had gone out of his way to printoff a list & map of all city & state maps, & left them at the front desk for us. He deserves a raise!

The stairs were insanely creaky. Then the room smelled like smoke even though it was supposedly a non smoking room. Breakfast was alright, not the biggest selection. Omelets were oddly crunchy but they did offer gluten free bread which was nice.

I was on Harley and had done 300 + miles. This property was excellent in any category you choose. Friendly staff ,cleanliness, comfort. proximity to restaurants. easy access. Maybe the finest BW I have stayed at, no it was the finest

The whole family stayed here. It was a nice room. The desk clerks are great. There is a nice bar/restaurant attached so you don't even have to go out for dinner or drinks. The beds are comfortable and clean. I recommend this hotel.

After a much needed night away with my fiance, we were pretty excited to have a suite here at the Best Western Lapeer and felt better about staying local. We booked the suite with the swiss shower and whirlpool. When we walked in our room I believe the first words out of my mouth were along the line of "This is disgusting" and my fiance thought it was "nasty". After turning on 3 lamps just to kill the darkness, we still were in a gloomy room, with wallpaper from the late 80's, a yellow ceiling that made it look like they held a smoking club in there at one point, and lamps that looked like they had been picked up off the side of the road. Upon looking around, we noticed their was no swiss shower. We asked the lady at the desk, and said this was an upgrade they gave us. How? When we purchased a room with a swiss shower and whirlpool, it's missing the swiss shower, so tto me that isn't an upgrade. I thought we would be spending most of our time in our room, just relaxing and watching tv - however it was so dingy as I said above, we spent most our time across the road at applebees just for the environment. Also sometime upon arrival, we noticed our fridge didn't work and was leaking water. The pool was a really nice good size and clean, half the bulbs in the pool room were out but it wasn't to bad as it was still day light. Game room was a hunting and fighting game, an air hockey table that wanted quarters, along with pool tables that wanted your money too. The only positive thing about the night was a very comfortable king sized bed and the pillows, I contemplated asking them if I could purchase them because they were awesome. At the end of the day, I won't be returning. To see they had a 4 (Very good rating) award from tripadvisor was shocking to me.

We stayed for the 5th time at the Best Western in Lapeer with our group of 8 golfers. The hotel has made a number of updates and as always the staff were friendly and professional. Morning breakfast is good with many choices.Walking distance to stores and restaurants . Pool and hot tub a welcome after a day of golfing. We'll be back next year.

Room was clean we enjoyed swimming in the pool. The kids and I had a great time playing some pool. Staff is friendly and always very helpful. My kids and enjoy getting time away and relax at the Best Western. The prices are very affordable for there rooms too. My family and I are looking forward to our next stay there.

A little difficult to find The hotel itself is very good, quiet, clean. Breakfast was good. The beds are comfortable and clean Staff are helpful and friendly. Check in is easy and we like the express check out.

This was by far the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Our room was very close to the pool, dining area and lobby. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was very nice and clean - it would have been helpful to have towels at the pool, but otherwise was perfect. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food for everyone. We WILL stay here again the next time we are in Michigan.

This is our third time of using this facility for our 4 day pen pal reunion. Friends from 12 different states came, some having been to the previous 2. The staff was very friendly, very helpful and very accommodating to everyone. The daily breakfast is quite substantial with both hot and cold items and plenty of it. There's a really nice, indoor pool and a welcoming gazebo area that is outside. We were allowed to hold our evening fun activities in the breakfast room without any issues or problems. The hotel is very close to businesses such as fast food, restaurants, Starbucks, a winery business, supermarkets, gas stations and more - all within walking distance. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The desk clerks were exceptionally helpful in putting our rooms pretty much in one wing and on ground floor as well. There is also a bar/grill on premesis with good food and reasonable prices and seating outside on the nice days and evenings. There is complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookies each afternoon in the lobby and free USA Today newspapers for the hotel guests. There's a business area with computer, laundry facilities and a small work out room. There's also free Wi-Fi. Just a nice and friendly hotel in a nice and friendly town! Thank you Kelly and staff for making our reunion another success!

It had been nearly 4 years since I last stayed at this hotel and it has greatly improved. Rooms have been refurbished and the lobby is quite pleasant. Everything worked but the mattress could be changed as it tended to slope. Price was very reasonable and the hall was quiet. Breakfast ok but nothing special. No elevator so you need to be able to carry luggage upstairs.

i recently stayed here for 4 nights whilst on business, and i wouldnt hesitate to stay here again. i had a room on the first floor (right at the top of the stairs), and the room was more than adequate. All of the staff were very pleasant and answered any questions i had in a very cheery and efficient manner. Great breakfast with a few hot items (sausage, eggs and biscuits etc). i would definitely stay here again.

My family, along with many other wedding guests, stayed here for one night following a family wedding at the Lapeer Country Club. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we experienced no problems during our stay. There was a nice-looking pool (did not use) and a typical continental breakfast. The hotel was large and the layout was a bit confusing at times, but everything was well marked. There were many restaurants and fast food options close by. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. I have never had a bad experience with a Best Western hotel.

Beautiful rooms, nicely decorated, some with Jacuzzi Bathtubs, great service and friendly staff. Someone at the front des at all times. Very secure and safe. They do have room service from the Restaurant on site if you need like me. I was working and didn't have time for Restaurant so they brought to me in a carryout container which I didn't mind at all. They are extremely close to a Meijers if you forget anything. Only thing that was hard for me was the beds are quite soft. Feels good at first, but not good to sleep in if you have a bad back.

Check the room before making a commitment to this hotel. The hotel requires updating in the carpets in the rooms. The front desk personnel are very kind and helpful in finding your way around the area and considerate.

Will not stay again but the other good hotel in town was booked. Went for a wedding. Stayed for 4 days. Beware hard to find a good hotel in the fall in that area. It was wedding season. The A. C. Unit was full of dust. Had allergies. It stunk. Had them change filter and they put a dryer sheet on the filter to make it smell better. Carpet was old. T. V. Was okay. Request 1st floor unless you like lugging luggage up & downstairs. No elevator. Stairs were a bit old and steep. Indoor Pool looked fine. Didn't use it. Bar was fine. A small courtyard in the middle was fine. Continental breakfast with waffles, yogurt, milk, juice, cereal, bagels satisfied Location was okay & near to grocery & clothing stores like khols. Hard to find. No big sign. I was disappointed but they did let us have a later check out. Staff was nice and fixed our main complaints like lightbulbs & broken carbon monoxide detector.

I usually don't write a review but I though this was time I should. One of the cleanest and well kept hotel you would find. We rented two rooms and each was clean and well taken care of. Every little thing you would think of this had. We had a time change and they have the radio clock adjust for the new time automatically. Even the remote control for the TV was what they call a sanitize remote. They had a large pool with a water fall and a whirlpool. It did have a lot of families with there children. You entered into an area that had 5 tables with chairs and a pool table, air hockey. Had 2 game machines that you had to pay for. a 4 foot brick wall separated this area from the pool. The continental breakfast had everything you could think of (cheese omelet, sausage, waffles, cereal, biscuit and gravy etc. I know I sound like a

Whenever the weather is bad, I stay at this hotel. I have a long commute, 100 miles roundtrip. Its nice to know I have a place to stay that is close to my office. Plus it is always clean and comfortable. Checkin and out is always fast and easy. Breakfast is good too.

We've stayed at this hotel several times. We live in Lapeer and like to come to this hotel just to get away from it all when we can afford to. As far as we're concerned it is the best hotel in Lapeer! We love the hot tub and the pool and always have a good time. We also love the breakfast! We were disappointed though that there was not a microwave in the room. I didn't think to ask if there was one when we checked in because every other time we've stayed here there's been one in the room. We were in room 111 which was close to the breakfast area where there was a microwave so we just used that. The only downside was having cold leftovers for my midnight snack because I didn't want to get "presentable" to go out into the breakfast area to heat it up. Ihad a great time and will be staying again soon. I'll just remember to ask about micro and fridge. Thanks, Chris

Stay here for the friendliness not the facilities. I was disheartened when I walked in and immediately noticed that the common areas really needed vaccuming. I feared the rooms would also have that unfinished, unclean feel. Fortunately the rooms were clean, yet underwhelming. Parts of the hotel feel very drab and dated, while the rooms feature updated tv screens, refrigerators and microwaves. Nevertheless, this will not be my first choice in the future. The saving grace? Friendly staff like karen at the front desk who really try to make guests feel welcome.

The room was very clean, HUGE, and had all the amenities required. My only complaint was that I was on the second floor, and it was extremely hot up there--even in January. I ended up shutting off the heat and opening the window when it was 30 degrees outside. Even the hallways were like an oven. Everything else was great. Ample parking. Room service from the bar & grill downstairs was yummy and delivered hot. Typical hotel free breakfast. Good coffee. I will stay here again, but request first floor.

chose this best western as a group of 18 rooms. Hotel managed the reservations just fine offering a good rate for the area. The hotel is clean and up to date and the staff is friendly and offering smiles. Hotel served its purpose and was fairly close to the hockey rink. Area offers restaurant close by.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The stay is very comfortable and pleasant. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay the best it can be. The hotel is very clean and well taken care of and the staff are very outgoing and friendly.

I have always booked at Best Western because they have the most comfortable beds I can find! I have found that most hotels have very hard mattresses but Best Western makes me feel like I am sleeping on a feather bed. I always get a good nights sleep.

Have stayed here for Business and Family a very nice and clean place will stay here when passing thur Lapeer Mi all the time great place for kids nice pool and game room .. Restaurant very good with bar and plenty of T.Vs for game night great food at good price

I recently stayed one evening here. I found the room to be very clean and all amentities working fine. The staff was extreamily friendly and courtious. The bar/restraunt was nice, deciently priced and not so loud you couldn't talk. I didn't use the pool or whirl pool. Other then the smell of stale cigarettes I would give this place a 10.

I had never stayed at this hotel before. I was glad that I did. The hotel was extremely clean in all areas and the room had everything we needed in it. It was worth the higher rate due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

I only stayed here 1 night with my family for a wedding. Everything was nice, nothing that stood out super negative or positive. I appreciated we got a discounted rate by booking in the wedding block of rooms. I also saw the bride and her wedding party were given a meeting space room to get ready in before the ceremony. That seemed convenient! Pool was outdoors, so depending on the time of year that's awesome, or not so awesome.

Stained brown and gold carpeting with very dark wood. 24 steps to second floor with no elevator. Giant hot tub one foot away from bed with open shutters to bathroom and large gap under shutters = no privacy = sex motel !?! Mold everywhere, bugs crawling across floor. Tiny plastic shower stall has broken door. Towels and sheets badly worn out. Smoking employee was actually wearing his pajamas while washing floor the next morning. And the room cost us $135. YUUUUUUUUCK!

we paid good money for a romantic night with a hot tub room ,and the tub did not work properaly ,jets were poor and and the pump was shooting out flakes. the hotel did refund 20.00 dollars ,but we would have liked to have been compt a diff room

Updated hotel I found to be very clean no smoke odor found. rooms very relaxing cozy warm colors and comfy beds.. Breakfast was excellent many choices and lasted well beyond the stated end time which I like... Staff was excellent answered many questions and asked how we enjoyed our stay we had no complaints lovey property

After a round of golf we were very well taken care of and had a relaxing plastic glass of wine by the poolside. Golf was poor so this made up for my mistakes. Eating at Luckys was only a block away and was excellent.

Have enjoyed staying at this hotel several times before. The location is perfect for our needs. Shopping at meijers, kohls, and home depot is easily withing walking distance. Also within walking distance are several restaurants, fast food places, a cinema and several small shops. The facilities are good with an indoor pool and exercise room available. The staff is excellent and go out of their way to make the stay most pleasant. Recommend!

nice place to stay, great service, nice restaurant, great golf courses--had a golf trip with 12 friends in September, 2015 stayed at the best western and enjoyed every minute--nice accommodations friendly staff and very reasonable prices with the convenience of shopping malls restaurants and specialty stores all within walking distances from the hotel.

We've been coming back to this Best Western in Lapeer, MI for nearly a decade. The staff is always fantastic and the suite and amenities are always fabulous. Even though we have an oxygen machine, walker and power chair, everything is very easy to use and/or maneuver around. 5 star quality staff makes the yearly visit the most enjoyable!
