Best Western Plus Galveston Suites

Not a bad place just nothing special about it except it's reasonably priced. Nice balcony with ocean view. Our room was quiet and comfortable. Staff were nice and helpful. A bit farther from the fun stuff than I thought. I use to live and work here years ago and Galveston has certainly changed!

Pros: all rooms face the Gulf, beautiful view of beach and surf across the highway from your own balcony. Sunrise wonderful. Nice breakfast. Cons: very dark room, not enough lighting. Very dark laminate flooring. Needs a floor lamp, brighter bulbs.

This was our first time staying at this location. I'm so glad I chose this one vs the one closer to downtown - so much less chaos. Lots of families and also cruisers spending the night. This all suite/balcony gulf front BW was excellent all around. Check in was a breeze. I requested early check-in at 3:30(vs 4p) as we were headed to Pleasure Pier for the evening - no problem. Top floor w/balcony was great but mother nature didn't cooperate to get the most of it. Storms and/or cloudy most of our stay, but still awesome to watch the storms! We chose the 2 Q room which was spotless upon arriving. Very nice bathroom with nice walk-in shower. Fridge/Micro worked great. Balcony had 2 chairs and was clean and comfortable. Couch/coffee table, desk and nice office chair was a wonderful and much needed bonus space. Beds/pillows were cozy, clean and well made. Breakfast was very busy but staff did a perfect job of keeping up with everything being hot and plentiful. Clean too! It was still a bit chilly for the pool but the hot tub (which is huge!) was perfect. It would have been even better if the pool was warm enough for the kids, as they were in the HT a lot (mine included)- all were very respectful with no roughhousing at all. Only slight issues: Balcony door (#520) was very hard to open (I'm sure due to moisture and room lighting was a bit dim even with all the lights on. Noise level was very good - considering it was a full house. Thanks BW for a wonderful stay! Our activities included: Fishing Pier and Jimmy's (across the street) looks like a beach shack but AMAZING food! Expect a 30-40 min wait - take a walk on the pier and they will text you. Pleasure Pier: Good for abt 3 hrs. Moody Gardens - excellent all around. We got the one day value passes. Beaches - it's Galveston - not the best but okay for a day in the sun/sand. Enjoy!!

Beyond impressed by the professionalism received during my stay. Canyon and Glenda were fantastic. They did everything to help up getting to the cruise port because we couldn't find any uber or taxi to get there. They were fantastic

The location is fantastic, beach access is very convenient, literally right across the street. The front desk staff was super great and the manager, Edward helped me manage my changing travel plans with ZERO stress. Will DEFINITELY be back.

This was my second stay at this Best Western, won't be my last! All the things you look for in a Galveston Island hotel… Located on the Seawall. Plenty of free parking. Balcony facing the beach. In room coffee. Above average free breakfast. Welcoming and helpful staff. Super clean rooms. Cold A/C! Located down about 85th Street, you're far enough from the crowd, yet not so far west that you have to drive forever to get back to the Pleasure Pier etc. Plenty of restaurants nearby is a bonus! Our stay wasn't perfect, but the attention and cheerful attitude from the manager, Ms Canyon, I believe, took this rating straight up to the full five stars given. If you've read this far then take my advice and book yourself a room, you're going to thank me later!

Love the BW Best Western Plus hotel.... as the Bestt Motel choice of all on the Seawall Blvd. All rooms face Gulf witth a Balcony. Clean suites and wide hallways. large breakfast area, Used the Large hot tub Spa but too chilly in Feb for the large swimming pool. Easy access to beach. Definitely will stay again!

Hotel has friendly staff, clean rooms, and a fantastic hot and full breakfast. We could easily walk across the street to the beach and just down the road was a great bar/restaurant on the water. We'll be back! Best value hotel in Galveston

BW was running a promo of stay 3 nights, get a gift card. We had stayed 2 nights from previous travel so decided to have a mini vacation and stay at this Galveston hotel (we live in Houston). It's on the West end which is quieter. Found the hotel to be really nice and really enjoyed our balcony and the ocean view. At least for off-season, it was a great value. We paid around $100.

We always an awesome view of the ocean. You are able to enjoy the beautiful sunrises and sunsets for you private balcony . Also you have a great view of the airport from the hall. The staff is always so helpful with any questions you have. The hotel is located on the west end of the island so it's much quieter.

Great location, nice and clean. I'd stay here again in the future. Also. It was cheaper to book through the hotel site. Enjoyed the staff being nice and informative. Enjoy your trip, we had kids with us and this is a kid friendly place.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Loved the beach views. The only thing was they need to get both elevators working. The elevators are slow and often crowded, especially at breakfast. Be sure to get to breakfast early or you may find it hard to find a place to sit.

The hotel is right across from a nice section of beach and our room was ocean view with a balcony. The breakfast had both hot and cold selections. Would stay here again. Also appreciate that parking is free.

We wanted a weekend getaway and wanted an ocean view. I don't usually stay at Best Westerns, but this was in our price range and met all the requirements. I'm so glad we decided to stay here! It was close to Moody Gardens, had great beach access across the street, and the room was spacious and clean. The hotel staff were outstanding, always keeping things clean and tidy. It's a short drive to the strand and restaurant options. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

My sister only stayed here 2 nights but it was just fine. It's not the best hotel on the sea wall but it was clean and accommodating. The a/c worked great, breakfast was decent, wonderful view of the ocean and easy access once you crossed the street. The am and pm front desk workers were both so great and helpful! I would stay here again for the price we paid.

Rooms has the best view of the ocean. Staff was helpful but laid back in serving the customers. Breakfast options can be better. Same routine options everyday. Appearance of the hotel can be improved. Overall for the price it can be better experience,

Staying at this Best Western was a wonderful experience! The room is very spacious and includes a sofa bed, microwave, refrigerator, and a private balcony. I loved being directly across the street from the beach.

Based on other good/very good reviews for this hotel I had high expectations for this Best Western Plus property. Unfortunately my expectations were not met. Check in lady was not welcoming and had a little attitude in her tone, mind you that's your first impression.. Hallways were humid and smelly. Room was spacious with a balcony which was the only pro. Doors and walls in the room were filthy. A/C was loud and vents were dirty and full of dust. Coffee maker did not work. Roaches were present in the bathroom. Breakfast area was spacious but choices were slim, no decaf coffee. Floors, counters and tables were dirty and not cleaned during breakfast hours while 2 breakfast attendants were present. Gate to pool was only working from inside, other gate was not working. In order to turn on pool shower to rinse off, you had to climb on stool, which is a safety hazard. No crosswalk in front of hotel to reach the beach when crossing the busy street. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Excellent stay. The staff was helpful and courteous. The hotel is right across the street from the beach in a less crowded area. Breakfast was good with several choices. Everything was clean and the room was comfortable. We would stay there again.

Balcony view of Galveston seawall, very very nice. Did not have to pay a daily fee for parking as most of the other hotels charged. The weather was hot as is most of Texas now so didn't wander to much during the day. Pool was lovely in the evenings!

You can't get a better hotel for the price! Ocean view rooms, smiling staff, free breakfast and internet were what we experienced. The location is great for the beach, shopping, only 10 minutes from The cruise terminal and The Strand. Very central location to all that Galveston is about. I'll definitely stay here anytime I visit Galveston.

This hotel is old and ac was not cooling, we stayed 2 nights and got no new towel or sheets! TV did not work and most of the time people were filling their coolers with all the ice from ice machine which left them empty for other people. I was not impressed or even happy with this place. It cost me nearly 575.00 for 2 night with a room with double beds! There is no resturant but the breakfast they served was very good. The lady at the front desk was very nice.

Won't find anything like this location for the money. Right on the beach with many nearby attractions and amenities. Our only issues were the ac in our room was not working properly. Other rooms my friends stayed in (same hotel) has great ac so it's hit or miss I guess. Also the breakfast description said they have twxas shaped waffles. They are round .. they are delicious and breakfast was great but I was sadly disappointed as it was something I was looking forward to

What I love about this hotel is that every room has a Gulf view....every single room...while being affordable. Some rooms are higher up than others, but you will have a view from any room! Walk across the street to the beach or use the lovely pool. No charge for parking. Staff is friendly. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are spacious and clean. Elevators can be crowded sometimes, and breakfast isn't anything exciting. Did I mention the view? We love to visit here!

I had no major issues with the hotel and would more than likely stay there again. The ice machine on our floor was out of order. The bed was slightly uncomfortable. The staff personnel were friendly/helpful.

It is an excellent place to stay with a Beautiful Water view. Parking was convenient and the Hotel was a long Seawall Blvd. Walk to the beach with ease. Highly recommend whether on Business or Family Getaway.

Overall a great place to stay friendly caring and polite ! We were greeted with a smile . We had no problems at this hotel ,we requested the top floor with a balcony and that is what we got and that made my wife happy

Basically the facility is more than adequate being clean with a very nice breakfast. It is located across a very busy 4 lane highway from the beach making the crossing possibly dangerous. At night, in season, the parking lot is jammed. The wifi is included but it is erratic and unreliable. In the lobby there is a 24/7 coffee & tea dispenser. The computer and printer are fine. In our room the A/C unit was noisy and hard to regulate but they are being replaced. Overall I would recommend this facility

Always a great stay at this hotel. Great ocean views, a friendly staff (especially Devan at the front desk), a location. It's hot in Galveston in the summer and this hotel has fantastic air conditioning. The breakfast is hot and tasty and starts serving at 7 AM. I highly recommend this hotel!

Good location, can walk from hotel to beach on the other side of the 4-lane road (be careful). Interior is new But saw a roach, quite big, in the bathroom. A/C ran all night and loud. There's a pool front of hotel but you need to go thru the lobby, walk thru a hall and get outside, there's a outdoor shower head that we used to rinse off sand before going to our room. We didn't eat breakfast to know what they offer. Overall it's a nice hotel to stay but I hope they do better with pest control.

The hotel was very clean and the front desk was friendly. Breakfast served daily. Rooms clean and large; came with microwave and refrigerator; each room faces the ocean with a balcony; couch with pull out bed in king room. Pool closed for winter. Area is quiet. No traffic.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Room was very clean. Everyone was very nice and friendly. Had breakfast every morning. It was good. It was close to moody gardens which is what we were there for. Loved setting on the balcony and listening to the water. I would say watching the water but when we was there the fog was so bad we only got to watch the waves one morning. Had a great stay. And plan to stay here next time.

Love this location and this Hotel. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. We really enjoy the breakfast they have. They will respond to any needs. They have balcony's overlooking the Gulf Of Mexico which are enjoyable to set and watch the waves.

We stayed here 2 Nights before taking a cruise from the Galveston Port. The room was clean end very spacious. A little bit dated and could use some paint. Because of the door to a balcony you hear some noise from the street. At night it becomes quiter. Breakfast was plenty of choice and good However we wont be staying here again. For two days some plastic bag was swimming in the pool. The staff at the reception was absolutly not helpfull. They didn‘t want to assist us getting a taxi to the port. Also the room wasn‘t cleaned and made up. When we asked why, they said we had to require it. When I asked how I would know this, they said, we just had to know it. Nobody told us at check in.

We stayed here during the biker rally in Galveston. It was very easy to book, clean rooms, helpful staff, and the breakfast was awesome . I loved the ocean view that we had. I am now going to stay here from now on.

Very nice and clean hotel right on Seawall Blvd. This hotel is on the eastern end of Galveston Island so you have to drive most places. The best thing about it was the price – about half of most other hotels in Galveston. We would certainly stay here again.

Very clean reception,good welcome, free coffee available in reception all day. Quiet room on 5 th floor. Rooms are a bit dark and in need of some paint but bathroom was bright and beds comfortable. Room had everything we needed for our stay. Pillows being exception - they were awful ☹️ Lovely to have a view of the Gulf but door to balcony slams viciously and caught my toe ripping off the nail, ouch! Breakfast was one of best on our road trip so far. Good choice, hot scrambled eggs and loved the pastries. Good coffee too. Staff helpful during stay and main area kept clean. Beach is across the road but would be great if there was a crossing close by.

We travel to Galveston several times a year & often stay at this Best Western. We like the location, the rooms all face the seawall, & prices are decent. The rooms have always been clean, the beds are super comfortable, the bathroom amenities are nice, and we enjoy being able to cross the street & access the beach. We also recommend this hotel to friends & family. Canyon is the coolest, friendliest, sweetest person you could ever find in any type of customer service job & when I walk in & see her at the desk I know I am going to have a great day. Brittany is also a blessing. She always greets you with a big Hello or Good Morning when you go thru the lobby. And they ask - genuinely - how was your stay ? The woman who prepares & serves the breakfast every morning is sweet & goes around asking if everything is okay. I havent talked much to the two guys who I have seen at the desk also, but they always seem to have a smile. This leads me to this bad part. This recent visit was the 3rd time in 6 months that I have had the unfortunate “luck” to have to deal with Kayla. Kayla is the rudest & laziest young woman I have encountered in any type of public customer service role in years. I have seen a few of the other reviews who mention problems with “the young woman at the front desk” & its not hard to know they are referring to her as well. She is always looking down at her phone in her hand, she will NOT greet you with hello, or welcome, or anything, and she wont even look you in the face. I walked in this trip & walked to the center of the desk, HAPPY to be back in Galveston again, and said Hello !. Kayla dropped her phone down onto the desk with a disgusted mumble said ‘checking in or out?' Okay, so she isn't going to make any personal contact. No problem. She mumbles thru her spiel with no breaks ‘nopetsnosmokingfineforsmokingcheckoutis11breakfastacrossthelobbyfrom 6to9……….”and then said “initial both pages”. I stood, waiting for her to give me what she wanted me to sign. She went back to her texting on her phone. She said ‘initial both pages' again and I said I was waiting for them. She shoves two pages thru the little slot on the far left side of the desk, nearest to where she was now standing, away from where I was standing. So I go over, initial both. She looks at them, shoves them back out at me & says ‘you didn't sign'. I see there is a place she wants me to sign in addition to the initialing. I say “if you had told me to sign also, I would have. Is there something wrong ? What are you upset about?” She mumbles something under her breath as she starts to turn away and THEN calls me a name, again, mumbled under her breath. I will not write what she called me on this review. I ask “WHAT DID YOU SAY??” She smirks and I dare her to say it out loud. She refuses of course. I ask for a manager and she turns away and back to her phone. I again request a manager, then call out “Manager?” . ( there was an open office door behind her). No one responds. A couple come into the lobby & Kayla talks over me to them “checking in or out?” I tell her “you don't work 24 hours a day….” And I walk away so the new people can check in. Like I said, this is the 3rd time I have dealings with her & each time was just as unpleasant. The time previous to this visit was by phone when I called to ask a question as I was having a problem with the website making a future reservation and when I asked if she could help me with a reservation she said “you has to do its online” and she hung up. . I don't know why Kayla has a job dealing with people because she clearly hates it. I don't even know how she keeps her job unless it is because the manager is desperate & he is just glad to have someone who shows up to her shift. Maybe she is in the running for Worst Customer Service Ever award ? I have heard that its not uncommon to hear complaints about her. But other than Kayla, the hotel itself is great.

pros: nice rooms, views cons: dark rooms (brighter bulbs?), pest chewed bed linens, loud rooms over pool, staff not enforce pool//hot tub hours, threats from loud people asking staff for name and room number of person calling about noise at 11:15pm. subpar breakfast, powdered eggs, bad sausage/no bacon.

Very disappointed in our stay at the Best Western Plus in Galveston. The first room had a musty odor throughout. We reported the issue and they came to spray some air freshener. The musty smell continued and we were finally moved to another room. The second issue encountered was we booked directly with Hotels.com and paid for the stay. We then were also charged on my credit card the one nights stay by the hotel. We spoke to the manager the next morning and he assured us the charge would be reversed by him and he would take care of it. It's now been a month later and I had to dispute the charge thru my credit card company. The credit card company has not received any action from the hotel to resolve the issue. This was not a pleasant experience nor would I recommend staying here.

Friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms, and a good breakfast. Hotel has a great ocean view and easy beach access. The only issue had was the AC wasn't working in the hallways, but other than that it is a great Stay and highly recommended!

We came for an anniversary celebration and to fish . We have stayed and many other best westerns numerous times and was disappointed with the hotel itself ! The staff was great; however, the hotel needs much renovation and updating . For the first time ever I left my plug in phone charger at home ( never in recent months/years needing it) because the upgrades at other hotels have USC ports in lamps or radios . This best western did not . Breakfast was great . Canyon was amazing and a big bonus for this hotel , very accommodating and friendly

We LOVE this place! It's our 5th year to stay here and we will be back! It's on the quieter end of the island, all rooms are Gulf facing, comfy beds and clean rooms, love the pool, great breakfast buffet with eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and Canyon at the front desk is the absolute BEST!

I stayed at BW Galveston Inn and Suites, first time for a couple of nights. I am extremely grateful for the following amenities that deserve mention and these separate this establishment from its contemporaries. 1) Location, complementary breakfast and staff - Both location and warmth of the front office/staff surprised us since a lot of negative reviews online may leave a different impression. But my experience was extremely pleasant. These were more than worth every penny I spent. 2) Quality of furniture's and bed are very nice and the no-smoking policy is top notch. 3) Overall cleanliness is also very good. 4) Definitely the online reviews do not reflect the exact nature of this place. I am definitely coming back to stay here.

The room was nice and big and cool with a beautiful view and comfortable beds. Lots of details were not super clean, though, from the light fixtures to the ceiling stain. Hall and elevator stifling with terrible smell in elevator. We did not try the breakfast.

We have been staying at BW on our travels and have normally found great service, friendly staff and exceptional rooms. We were a tad disappointed this time. Rated on Tripadvisor as the #8 hotel on the Galveston Island, we expected better. Disappointing.

Pros-Great location, and friendly, attentive staff. Room was clean, good size with oceanfront view. Beds were comfortable. Good breakfast selection, and large breakfast room. Cons-were an odor in the room (stale smoke?) and no washcloths. The balcony door was left open when we arrived, which may have contributed to the smell (sign on balcony door says a/c off when door ajar). Bring your own soap or ask for extras. One tiny bar was provided, which didn't last through for 4 people taking showers. I felt price was high for smell and having to get your own towels from an understaffed front counter (line).

Savor the Texas-shaped waffles. Enjoy the ocean and beach view from your private balcony, each room has one. Enjoy a peaceful night's sleep in a clean, comfortable bed. Be a stone's throw from the beach, Moody Gardens, Schlitterbahn water park, and Scholes Field. It's island time — you can relax here.

I would not recommend this hotel. We had no wifi service in our room. Reported it numerous times and it was never fixed. Room was dusty and very dark. One lamp did not work. Hair tie from someone else was left on the floor. I could go on. Only positive was that the hotel is in a great location along the beach.

Sofa bed a cleanliness disaster. Stained badly mattress in sofa bed and filled with dirt and debris. Hot in hallway, ice machine room and AC wasn't turned on in my room. Took over an hour for room to cool down.

This hotel was trashed out, hot, smelly, room was so so, the toilet was never investigated as it ran all night. A/C ran when it wanted to. No one looked into it either or offered another room. The surrounding grounds were littered. Supposedly non-smoking facility and pot smell came from several different areas, cigarette butts and the smell of cigarette smoking all over with no enforcement. Worst Best Western Experience of My Life. I will never stay at this or any Best Western Plus ever again. I should be demanding a full refund for this experience. We paid $453 for a one night stay with an ocean view and were robbed of our experience. Never and I Mean Never will I ever stay there again.

Great location on the beach but horrible manager and staff. Hotel has really gone down the drain over the past few years! Canyon is the ONLY person I highly recommend unfortunately she was off they days of my stay this trip.

I had a 5th floor unit and the ocean view was amazing. Bring your own pads for the 2 chairs as well as a small table for the balcony. I stayed in unit 508 and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and the air conditioner worked well ( not too loud )

This was just what I needed when I needed it!! Just across the street from the beach! An excellent choice, close to everything and just far enough to not be too crowded. I will plan to return again and enjoy the hotel and the beach! Enjoyed the breakfast.

It was a nightmare couldn't check in until after 6pm and no internet until 4 the next day. The manager yell at people if you don't like go stay somewhere else. Never stay a Best Western again. I have never been treated so rudely in my life.

Do not stay there. Services are very poor for what i paid ($380/day). The rom is not clean, it smells bad, the faucet has a bad smell and mold is all over the drain. The pool hot Tub does not work and it seems to leek gas. The breakfast is cereals if the power is out. The helpdesk is none existent and very rude. The TV remote does not work in the room unless you stand right next to the tv and point to the router hidden behind the tv stand. no backup generator, We had to go up 4 and down four staircases during power outage for not having a backup generators. Overall, for the money I paid it's no way near my expectations, this place does not resemble in anyway or form to normal Best Western hotels.

This property has ocean view rooms with a small balcony, which makes for a great location on the quieter W end of the seawall. Unfortunately, we got the feeling that the owner/management knows this and is not really interested in providing the quality stay that we have come to know with the the three chains we frequent all over the U.S., one being BW. We had a NON-refundable reservation for a king room, again all are advertised ocean front, and it was noted as such on the guaranteed reservation. We arrived about 4:30 with check in starting at 4:00. We were told our room is not available, which was the first red flag as they would received there money on a non-refundable reservation even if we were no shows. We are offered an obstructed king (only three left) or queen room with ocean view. We took the queen since we needed a room, although we did not need two beds. We check in and go to our room. I check my BW ap and see that they are still accepting reservations for king rooms for that same evening all indicate ocean view. Hmmm! We have never had this happen where our room was not available, that is why people make reservations to secure their stay. We later find out that guests from the previous night were allowed to pay an extra fee to secure a very late check-out, so they may enjoy the beach another day. Ok, no problem if there are extra rooms and you have already reserved the rooms for your incoming guests with PAID reservations who can check in at 4PM. I am sure most of us have asked for a later check out at times and have been told either no problem to stay (for no extra charge) or sorry, we are booked and have guests already assigned to your room. In addition, we heard one guest checking out after 4:30 inquiring why there was an extra charge on her bill. She was told it was for requesting late check out. The impression was this property is all about making money without offering the services. They give later check out for a "fee" that you may or may not be aware of when requested. We felt that our room was either not cleaned yet since people were still checking out, swimming, going to their cars and packing up when we were checking in at 4:30PM. Also, there were sheets sitting out in the hallways where rooms had still not been cleaned even after 5 - 6PM. It also appeared our non-refundable room we got a deal on due to being Rewards BW members was possibly sold to someone else for a higher rate and then they put us in a queen room, because that is what they had. The entire thing was very odd and only the beginning ... I should have taken note of other reviews of this property, but didn't think it could be that bad. Well, don't assume that your room will have functioning air conditioning as it was basically a very loud fan/blower that ran 24/7 heard in the room and on the balcony, but never, ever cooled the room. The temp stayed at a constant 75-76 no matter what you set the thermostat on and the high outside was only 83. The temp, stale, humid air blowing inside made for a very restless sleep and the smell and humidity cannot be good for anyone with sinuses, allergies or sensitivity to mold, etc... When we went down to tell the desk clerk another person was there complaining of the same issue. Anyone who asked was being told their A/C guy had check it and the A/C was working. That was not true and we were not the only ones frustrated at this point. We decided not to let it ruin our getaway and just dealt with it by getting our own fan to plug in and use in our room all night and when we were there during the day. When we checked out the other clerk said "oh, we could have checked the air for you." A little too late! The shower's water pressure was horrible, barely enough to rinse off (to cool off due to no A/C) and don't think about washing your hair if it is thick, because you will never get the soap out. Breakfast was fair and included, biscuits were very good, staff there helpful and the rest average. Cleaning staff was courteous and helpful when we needed tissues, etc... but I felt sorry for them having to work in these conditions as the rooms and corridors were miserably warm. The only cool, comfy air we felt was in the lobby. Unfortunately, I believe there is either a total lack of training for the employees on the logistics and organization needed to balance reservations or it appeared the intent was to make more money with the extra fees, offering up the already reserved rooms at a higher price to "walk-ins" who needed a room and would pay whatever along with cutting costs with little to no A/C or water pressure. We will not be staying at this location again and cannot recommend it to anyone. The location will probably keep this hotel in business, but I feel sorry for the employees and guests who have to deal with this type of management and the perceived lack of concern or regard for their patrons. Something seems not right here and the guests are literally "paying the price" for poor accommodations when most save their money to come enjoy a vacation only to have a bad experience. P.S. Registered and have the ap to do contact-less check in and keyless entry off my phone only to be told when we arrived that they don't offer that service. Online check in is so easy, but then I would have known ahead of time that our non-refundable, guaranteed room was unavailable. I do this for other locations and chains with ease, but nothing at this hotel was easy.

The front desk staff who greeted us was awesome, she was friendly, had a sense of humor and checked us in with ease. The room was very clean, loved the balcony, good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again. Already recommended to friends,

Hotel was in great location needs to be a little cleaner abs they need a better staff. The manager was the only staff that was courteous abs helpful. The rooms and beds were terrible. The shower door and faucet were broken. The hair dryer was busted and half the plugs didn't work. Breakfast was nasty and their coffee machine worked half the time.

We have stayed in many hotels coast to coast and have not been impressed with this one. We checked into our first room and not only was the air conditioning not operating correctly the fridge was not cooling and the tv had issues. The room was dirty including hair on the walls in the shower and your feet were black just from walking around in the room. On our first night we were moved to another room on the same floor but again have had the same issues with the air conditioning and the temp would not get below 75 in the room. We were instructed to turn the thermostat all the way down to 60 and see if that would help, and it did not. We asked if there was another room that was available to move to but when they showed me that room it was the same issue where they had the thermostat turned all the way down but it was still not cool in there. While the 5th floor might have the best view I am going to assume that those rooms are the hottest on the top floor. This room was also not as clean as it could have been causing black feet and the toilet seat was broken as well as very low water pressure in the shower. The girls at the front desk have tried to be helpful and accommodating as well as sending maintenance to look at the air and giving us a fan to help with cooling the room. I should note it is only in the mid 80's outside so I bet mid summer is fun up on the 5th.

Great place to stay, the beds are comfy. Ocean view is amazing! Customer service is wonderful, took great care of us. Is our favorite place to stay when we visit the island. Feel safe and secure at this location.

The hotel was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly for the short time we visited with them. The location was great and right across the street from the beach. Also. Every room had an ocean view which many only have select rooms with a view.

We stayed at this property for 5 nights and it was wonderful. We were on the 5th floor and yes it's true, ALL rooms have a view of the gulf with a balcony. The hotel is located away from the busier areas of the main strip - Seawall Blvd - which was nice. My husband and I are in our late 50's so it was nice to have a little quieter area of the island; if you want more 'nightlife' you will want to stay in the Strand area or toward the northeast part of the island. The road was still busy and you had to be very cautious crossing the five lanes of traffic to get to the beach; there are no crosswalks nearby. Also they do not rent beach chairs/umbrellas in that area of the beach. The rooms were very spacious, the internet service was amazing and the shower was really nice. The beds were very comfortable and you could not hear any traffic noise. The staff was very welcoming and friendly . The breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but who cares? It was a good, hot breakfast with options. I eat basically the same thing every day when I'm at home :-). The person managing the breakfast area was very friendly and kept the area clean and stocked. The outdoor pool and hot tub area was nice, as well as the lobby. There are 2 elevators and never had to wait long for one. There is ample parking and it is well-lit; we always felt completely safe there. If we are ever in the area again, we would definitely stay here!

Great view of the beach, nice balcony, the chairs were a little uncomfortable on the balcony, the rooms were nice the bathroom was great, the breakfast was very good, but the hotel receptionist the day we checked in on 4/7/22, was horrible, she was on her cell phone the whole time we were checking in, and I noticed later that evening she was doing the same to others, she was in the back not at the desk people had to call for her was wondering if anybody was even there, when she wasn't on her phone at the desk, she was smoking at the front door as people were coming in and out, very unprofessional, The receptionist the next morning 4/8/22 was a different lady and very professional very attentive.

Great place for family vacations the location is right at the beach with amazing views of the Gulf of Mexico. The hotel has complimentary breakfast and a relaxing swimming pool on site as well as a gym

My husband and I stayed at this location for 3 nights. We had a 5th floor room. The hotel is very convenient to anything you would want to see on the island. Front Desk staff was wonderful on giving dining location tips. We had a comfortable bed, very clean room. Would recommend this location to anyone staying at Galveston.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Check in was easy and very friendly. We booked through Priceline and got a great deal for having a king size bed with a balcony that looked out to the ocean. Bed was very comfortable. We didn't ask for room service while we were there. Plenty of towels to use. Plenty of HOT water for the shower. I took lots to warm up after such cold windy days. Breakfast was pretty good for being continental. Waffles, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, bagels, toast, pastries, cereal, juice, milk and then some. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It's not super close walking distance to restaurants but close enough to drive. It is Within semi walking distance to the fishing pier (Jimmy's on the pier) and Valero. No complaints at all and would stay here again!

This Hotel is located directly across the street from a wide beach, so location is perfect. The staff at the desk was very pleasant and quickly got us situated. Our room was large, comfortable and clean. The place is not new, but it has held up well and the furniture was in good shape. The bed was firm and very clean and we slept good. The bathroom was also very clean and stocked with plenty of towels and washcloths. It's not a 5-star hotel, but very comfortable and we felt safe in the location. We would definitely stay here again.

Relaxation of watching the waves breaking gently on the wide white sand beach, fragrance of salt water with gulls gliding on gentle breezes and clouds drifting to shade the sun or obscure the moon, calmed my concerns and lifted my spirits.

The hotel was everything I was hoping for.my wife and myself were upset with the staff .very rude and like we were inconveniencing them by showing up. Then there was no housekeeping the entire time we were there they did not change our towels make our beds even show up in the room so we had to shower and dry off with dirty towels sleep in beds that weren't made for as much as we paid I expected much better service.

Staff was friendly. We didn't have enough hot water for my wife to take a bath after I took a shower. Then the next day there wasn't enough hot water for the both of us to take a shower. For the second person the water was only tepid.

Found the perfect place for an affordable getaway in Galveston. This Best Western is the western side of Galveston away from the crowded sections but still fairly close to the fun stuff. Each room faces the gulf and each room has a balcony to enjoy the view. Rooms are larger than most. Beds were comfortable, good TV reception and wifi, small refrigerator and microwave in the rooms, and bathroom was roomy. Breakfast selections were good and fresh. Front desk staff very informative on places to eat and visit. Would recommend this place for a relaxing time for a getaway in Galveston,

Huge room, ocean view, TV good selection, good wifi. Breakfast choices were good. Fast elevators. Business Center had Windows 7 on their super slow computer and no toner in the printer. Very neglected! Bed was comfortable, shower and bathroom were great.

The rooms were huge, all face the ocean and food and staff are the best! We could walk across the street to the ocean, and right back to the hotel no driving needed. The rooms also have a balcony you can sit on and look at the ocean and just relax and hear the waves.

I am so impressed with the clean room and esp the ocean view from the balcony...it was just what the doctor ordered for a very relaxing stay in Galveston! Will most definitely go back again in the near future!

Canyon, the front desk clerk is very professional, helpful, and friendly. The breakfast was hot with both bacon and sausage. The location is good, you can see the ocean from your balcony. All rooms have balconies. It would have been better if the hotel is closer to the center of Seawall Blvd.

Very nice, clean motel. The king suite with a view of the Gulf was very clean and spacious. The location is on the west end of the Seawall so a lot quieter and a lot less traffic. We could see the pyramids at Moody Gardens from the windows near the elevators. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I booked through the 800 number and was able to get the military rate which was very reasonable.

Great food, view and really comfy bed. The cleaning crew are top notch, clean towels and friendly staff. Besides being a great deal and location, everyone is friendly and very eager to please! Intend to stay there again and again!!

Always try to stay at this hotel before our Galveston Cruises if the price is right. The rooms are large, furniture has about seen its best day—about time to renovate. Love that every room has a balcony that overlooks the water. Hotel is in a quieter area of Galveston. Front desk staff (Canyon) is fantastic. Internet is usually pretty good. Good hot free breakfast.

Danesha was great at check in! We were concerned on having a room with perfect view after reading one of the latest reviews. She said she will make sure she will get us the best! And she did! We had room 511 and it was beautiful! Absolutely loved sitting out on the patio and watching the water splash when we didn't walk right across the road and sit right next to it with our cooler! The only thing I would suggest is having someplace outside to rinse the sand off our feet before coming into your beautiful lobby! We tried our best not to track into our room but it really likes to stick! We love the location of your motel…walking distance to Jimmy's. The hot tub was awesome. The front desk staff was very nice. The housekeeping was amazing without even asking for extra housekeeping!! We both did have backaches from the bed. It was kinda hard. And could have used another pillow. We asked for one but they were out. But that was a minimal complaint!

Great value. Lowest price for a balcony room (all rooms have balconies and they all face the ocean). Check in was easy and fun. Room was larger than expected. Nice large shower, comfortable bed, Dish Network with variety of channels. Surprised their was no in-room safe but I didn't need one. I love that if the balcony door is open then it turns off the room a/c. Perfect for energy saving. It's a bit of a distance away from the Pleasure Pier and heavy tourist areas but it kept the hotel quiet for the most part. With balcony doors open you can hear the traffic and the surf but it's nice and quiet when you close the door. I'll be back to visit and definitely staying here again.

Canyon and her staff did everything to make us feel at home. From fresh towels to easy checkout. We went during the worst of the covid scare, and are happy to say the hot breakfast is back! Alba was so attentive while we ate, bacon, sausage links, and gravy were good and hot, and the biscuits were melt in your mouth light and fluffy. The mini blueberryuffins were bursting with sweet blueberries. The rooms all face the gulf, and there is nothing more relaxing than watching those waves from your private balcony.

We discovered this Best Western PLUS three years ago. Left our originally booked hotel after one look at the room and immediately drive to this BW PLUS. SORRY clean, love the balcony overlooking the ocean (nothing helps us relax before turning in like sitting out there listening to and watching the waves!!! Y'all just gotta stay here!

I have no idea why these reviews have given this place 5 stars. It is a dump, dirty, smell, hot. The lobby is full of dirty rugs from work boots, trash in the hallways. Looks like a new vinyl flooring, but no one cleans it- bottom of my socks were black. Have 3 table lights and 1 lightbulb, front desk didn't have any more (DUH-take one from an empty room)- so much dust- Tried to cancel and couldn't-ICK- I guess it's a budget at $150.00 and this is supposed to be a PLUS

My instincts were right, but wife insisted BW was the place for us...well, only if a last resort she now says...room air conditioner is noisy, rooms unattractive, suites? you're kidding right? Breakfast the slopped on no frills kind...but cereal was okay, since nothing else looked good. Beach area in front closed due to beach construction...and on and on and on...a place to avoid.

We had a front room, 7th floor with a balcony. We stayed on a Monday night so the price was cheaper than weekends. The room was clean but very well used, lots of wear and tear on the furniture. I was ok with that since it was clean. Butt, the deck had some trash on it and the hallways, omg. They did not look like they had been vacuumed in days, They was gross. The hotel is a little south of the main seawall area but still had plenty of noisy traffic. Less traffic than further north, but the cars could go faster in front of our hotel. We were glad to be on a higher floor. The ambient noise of the A/C was a sleep saver. The bed was very comfortable.

As another reviewer said, the parking lot lights are aimed way too high and end up shining directly in your eyes at night when you're trying to relax on your patio. Otherwise we had no complaints. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Comfortable room, great shower, nice staff! I love that every room has a balcony facing the Gulf. Our room did not have carpet, which gave it a cleaner, more modern feel. It was also very spacious. I will stay here again!

This place is very nice. We got a good deal on a Friday night. The price nearly tripled for Saturday, though. Very nice pool area with small waterfalls. The breakfast area is large and they had several options. (If you're looking for the gravy, it's NOT next to the biscuits.) The suites are large with a good view of the gulf. There is more parking in back. We were able to walk across the street to the beach, which was nice.

This hotel is toward the end of Seawall Blvd hotels. We walked across the highway to the beach. It was great to have the Gulf so close. Two mornings I got up and watched the sun rise over the gulf from our balcony. We stayed on the 4th floor and during the night the parking lot lights were very bright-good for the parking lot-but hard to see the water. If we stay there again, I would want to stay on the 5th floor. The room was very clean. Brittany at the front desk was a great ambassador for Best Western and Galveston. She answered all of my questions was very helpful. My only complaint was breakfast items/beverages not being restocked. Had this occurred, this would have been a 5 star review. But overall a great stay and I would stay here again.

We received Excellent service!The lobby and rooms were decorated lovely! Our bed could be changed out! Very clean and quite! We would definitely stay there again when we travel. Our room was very clean.

First time in Galveston we experienced the Hurricane Nicholas. The staff was great and kept up with all of the guests needs without acting like they were overwhelmed. The other guests were very patient and understanding as well.

The hotel was average. The front desk was unattended so had to wait to be checked in. Several times as we were coming and going from the hotel, the desk was unattended with people waiting. The shower would just barely trickle. The room was clean. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The internet was unsecured and extremely slow, so I used my hot spot while I was there. I felt it was a bit pricey for being off season. The breakfast was good. It was midway on the seawall and had easy access.

Had a enjoyable time with ocean front views on my own personal balcony! My room had its own fridge and microwave with working internet and a nice big TV. My TV's remote wasn't working and the desk lady brought me up new batteries right then and there! Nice! Anytime I wanted I could skip over the road to the beach just right there which I did every evening. The breakfast was alright and open till 9am. Might be open later as I spotted people still eating as I checked out which was quite late, but maybe they are open later on weekends. They did have soft biscuits and sausage patties which I enjoyed. Also available was several cereals, pastries, scrambled eggs, and make your own waffles.

The room wasn't the nicest Best Western room I have stayed in. The internet wasn't password protected like they said it was...this affects certain VPNs for anyone traveling and planning on working at the same time. The location is great though, right on the seawall on the west end of the island so you have relatively close access to the entrance/exit of the island. Super friendly staff.

We come every year before school starts and this was our 4th year to stay here. It was way more expensive this year than in past years, but we knew what to expect so we paid it anyway. And we were not disappointed. Although they were short-staffed, it didn't affect our stay at all. Always clean, the most comfortable beds & pillows EVER, Canyon at the front desk is simply AMAZING, great breakfast with many options. I can't wait to go back next year!

I love this location of Best Western Plus.. We've stayed here several times. We've never had a bad experience. The rooms are always clean. The staff is always professional and attentive. The prices are always good.

We went there for a quick 3 night stay. Upon checking in our room was ready early which was a bonus. The location right across the beach was a plus and an easy drive up toward restaurants. Our room was large, clean and roomy. I thought the bed was comfy but my wife thought it needed replacement. The walk out balcony gave a wonderful view of the ocean. The bathroom offered a clean modern walk in shower instead of a tub. Our AC worked fine we had a king bed and a sofa. However, the sofa was at a weird angle to sit and watch TV. I should add the TV was a dish system wand performed fine although we only had it on twice briefly. The breakfast was adequate and we always visited early since it was Covid season. Fewer people is always good. For a beach hotel this was a pretty nice place to stay. There were a few cons. The hallways and elevators always seemed warm. On the last full day there housekeeping never cleaned our room. It was already 5 in the afternoon and wanted to shower etc so we never bothered to tell the front room. We would have given a higher score but this left a ding in our assessment. But overall it was a pleasant stay.

We booked this for a end of summer trip before school started. The staff were amazing, the food delicious, the pool was clean and so refreshing. Rooms were HUGE and open so much room. Then you can walk right across the street to the beach. Beautiful views from EVERY ROOM. That is a huge bonus.

We went for the weekend just to getaway. The hallway and elevators were extremely warm. Need more working ice machines. Our room was nice and the AC did a great job keeping it cool. Nice breakfast. Be sure to ask for pool towels at the front desk.

They didn't clean the trash on the floors at all in the 3 days we were there. Same tissues and a-tips left in the hall from when we arrived were there when we checked out. A baby roach ran under my purse on the counter in my room. Microwave was dirty. Smelled like old faint cigarette smoke. The lobby outside the elevator reeked of smoke when I arrived. It's covid season and no-one sanitized or cleaned the halls or the premises. So disgusting.

Birthday getaway to Galveston Beach, TX. Room was big, clean, comfortable king bed, fridge, microwave. Best part was balcony beach view and able to walk right out the door across the street to the water. Parking was great. Not a 4 or 5 star hotel but it was very nice still, quality, completely worth it and would stay again. Pool was nice too. my only negative was the loud AC unit, but would keep me from staying here again.

While the hotel has good ratings I can only assume people didn't take the time to leave a review. The room, hallway, and elevate were all very dirty. There was hair on the bed and shower. Stains on sheets and towels. The staff was not rude but they were also not happy; last night the front desk person was non existent and this morning she was there but told me about her bad day. The breakfast was also dirty and gross. Serving utensils were not clean there were undercooked potatoes mixed in with the scrambled eggs. Just all over bad experiences and I'm hoping no bugs came home with us. Will definitely never stay there again.

One of the managers really rude. Two we got there The bathroom door was broken and I couldn't shut it all the way and the pull out couch was nasty disgusting and every time I had the room clean they only did my bed but not my friends bed

I always stay at this hotel when I come to Galveston. The reason being is the wonderful rate they give the military. This hotel is always clean, they have a full hot breakfast, they have plenty of free parking, and every guest suite has a balcony with a full view of the Gulf. If you're coming to Galveston for beach therapy, and the sight and sounds of the waves are for you, then this is the right hotel. You will not be disappointed.

Trip for family with small children. Pool area very dirty with trash and cigarette butts in pool area. Pool furniture broken. Disappointed that the gulf view could not be enjoyed from inside the room because the window is very small. Had to stand at window to see the water. Could not sit outside because the air conditioning unit blows hot air and very loud.

The hotel is somewhat outdated but sufficient. Issue is with how the hotel is managed. Booked 2 rooms for 4 nights. couldn't even get us on the same floor. Didn't show any interest in trying to accommodate us. Had children or drunks knocking on our doors in the middle of the night 12:30 to 3:00AM. Reported to the front desk to check cameras. When I followed up the manager had not had time to look and didn't seem interested. On check out was assured they would email receipts which I have yet to receive. I have called over a dozen times and they do not answer the phone.

It was our first time to stay at a Best Western and it definitely met our expectations. The room itself had a modern look with nice hardwoods instead of carpet, very clean, and a good size with plenty of storage space for our family of five. The ocean view from the balcony was an added bonus! Housekeeping did excellent and the front desk personnel were very friendly. Breakfast was fresh and good and plenty of seating.

We understand short staff due to the govt paying more to sit on the couch. What we are not ok with is being there 4 days and doing our best to keep the room clean and when we ask for only one visit from housekeeping staff, we were lied to and passed over. No one showed up and their remedy was” we will advise mgmt” . Zero solution for the issue at hand. We were promised other features to our room that were compromised upon arrival. They know your “trapped” , you travel a long distance so you won't buck up and say I'll go elsewhere … you can't . There is no elsewhere… I didn't show up at check in with 200$ less that we agreed to did I? That wouldn't fly now would it … just be honest about what your selling… dishonesty gets zero second chances in my book….pay a little more elsewhere, you'll have a better experience and that is what a vacation is about anyway

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my grown children. We loved the view of the Gulf and the convenience of walking across the street to the beach. The rooms were roomy and clean. The breakfasts were good. All of the employees were friendly.

The good: Location is good. Away from downtown. The beach is not crowded. Beautiful gulf view. The bad: 30+ teenagers packed the lobby for quite some time during COVID. I know Texans don't care about COVID, but get smarter people. Staff members are helpful but you don't see the smiles you normally see in other places

We spontaneously decided to take a weekend trip to Galveston and found this property during a hotel search. We were very pleased with the ease of the pre-check in option as well as the speed and friendliness of the front desk worker upon arrival. Our room was very spacious and clean with an amazing view of the ocean from the balcony. I have zero complaints about our stay and will definitely book this property again in the future.

My wife and I spent 6 days for our 41st wedding anniversary. We were in hopes this hotel would be a relaxed and romantic place but didn't hit the mark. Many issues from pot smoking in near by rooms for 3 days, ice maker broken, couldn't call front desk because the phone didn't work, no coffee refill packs in the room, broken fixtures etc. Worst of all was the air conditioner going out and it took 8 hours for someone to show up to fix it after requesting 3 times. Worse yet after saying it was repaired, it wasn't. We found this out after coming to our room from our anniversary dinner. We had to pack our stuff and move to another room two floors down. On top of all this in the 6 days we only had ONE room service! One evening we went for a swim only to find the pool had been drained for repairs! No notice, no nothing! As far as the grounds, there were weeds growing in sidewalks, flowerbeds, and around the edge of the pool. On our fifth day my wife started pulling weeds while swimming in the pool. Mornings we would have to wait on breakfast because they would run out. When we would go to the front desk we find the employee most of the time on her phone. We should of figured it wasn't going to be hood when our day of check in the lady at the service desk asked us to wait a minute because she needed to finish her nearly 2 minute text! Outside of this the beach was great and lots of good food on the island. We are very easy going and very seldom do we complain but this was just way over the top. Would we recommend this to friends or family? No, go to a motel 6 we assure you it will be a better deal for your money.

Price is a little steep, but not to far from other similar hotels in the area. Parking is a problem. Very close to the beach. Pool was chilly but had been cloudy and who needs the pool when the beach is only a few steps away! We enjoyed our stay, but did not realize until we were leaving it looked like they may be serving breakfast possibly, no one told us either way.

Hotel room was well cleaned and maintained. Microwave and Refrigerator worked great. We had lots of room as we had 4 adults in room and the hotel staff were great. We enjoyed having a full breakfast each morning and the staff kept everything clean and the food was kept filled. We had a balcony with view of the beach and in an area of the Seawall that wasn't very crowded. We were close to everything we needed. I would recommend this hotel to all my family and friends and when I return to Galveston would stay at this hotel again.

Went for a quick getaway but it was a nightmare my Gf and I got bits all over our body from bugs and the management just denied any problem. Beware if staying here the room smelled and the air conditioning was loud.

Enjoyed being at this hotel very much!! It is right across from the beach which I really enjoyed. We had a balcony overlooking the ocean. It is close to everything. The breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items.

I stayed for 4 days/3 nights, CANYON was the only person that provided outstanding customer service. I honestly waiting until she started her shift to get correct information. She provided me directions to my seminar and recommended a fabulous seafood restaurant during my stay, I always looked forward to her and her customer service. I was on the 5th floor with a beautiful view of the ocean with balcony. She is an asset to this property. KUDOS, CANYON

D0 NOT use a debit card here. It's 12 days now. And they still have a hold on $360. No incidentals, left on time. Checked with my institution. They're paid. Actually automatically since it's a debit card. My bank doesn't allow me to spend more than I have. I don't need a hotel to. Infuriating. And... there's never a manager on duty. Spent $597 there. This is how I'm treated. I believe they got my review from booking.com before I left about the rude night clerk. And.... their being lathargic about releasing the hold. Lesson learned. Don't review a property till you leave and or have all your money off hold.

Very clean rooms, clean pool area, breakfast had plenty of hot items, Just be aware that you do have to cross a very busy road in front of the hotel to get to the water. This of course is not the hotel's problem.. We watched a few pedestrians try to cross and almost get hit. It is within walking distance to a restaurant on the water, just keep in mind you have to cross the busy road, and there are no crosswalks. Because of COVID, our room was not cleaned, however it would have been nice to get a clean towel without having to ask for one.

Wife and I celebrated her birthday has a blast. Rooms facing the water flew kites from the kite store close to hotel Restaurants all around rented bikes and slingshot walked the beech walk the piers..

Very large rooms with an excellent bar area with a microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator we had a room with a bathtub and it was very large, however the air conditioning is extremely loud and will wake you up. We stayed on the third floor in the balcony is wonderful to offer like the ocean however people clomping around above us made it difficult to sleep at night because of the noise.

When packing to check out, we were looking for any remaining items and found hundreds of dead bugs under the sheets. Completely disgusting that we slept there for 3 days! Very grossed out and will never go back. Staff were very friendly and professional.

This was the first time we stayed at BW Galveston. Very pleased with the staff, the room, the comfy bed, and the balcony view. We stayed on the top 5th floor so we wouldnt hear walking above us. Very quiet. We didnt have the hot continental breakfast every morning but it was always busy. It was still too chilly for us being April to use the pool but it was a nice pool with hot tub. We would definitely stay here again. Wish we couldve stayed longer.

Our stay at the hotel was fabulous. The four of us enjoyed the stay at the Best Western Plus very much. Lots to see and the walks on the beach were awesome. Two of our party are Vegans and the only Vegan restaurant we came across was Eatcettera. A fabulous little place downtown that real spoiled us. The food was absolutely delicious and we all highly recommend it.

We found the location to be pretty nice. The views from the room are nice, although the main road can be pretty busy. Staff was friendly. Rooms were large. We could have used a little more lighting but overall ok. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, decent variety of items. I would have no qualms about staying here again if in the area.

This hotel was a very good deal for the price we got. Has a free breakfast and Wifi!! Location is wonderful being literally just less than a hundred yards from the beach. Also wonderful view from your balcony (higher your room, better your view).

We have stayed at this location before and that's why we booked again. We had a good stay but had a couple of issues which were handled quickly by Canyon!!! She was amazing and because of her we will be back!!!

We had a great experience, and would book here again. Our room was nicely furnished, and because it was a suite, there was plenty of room. I also enjoyed sitting on the balcony, looking at the gulf. The staff was very accommodating.

Always friendly, clean and amazing views! Down on the less busy side of the seawall! We love this hotel. Parking is free and plenty. Breakfast was nice and convient. Love watching right across the street to the beach! Can't wait to come back!

We love this Hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here. It's always clean and has an awesome view of the Ocean. Close to all the fun spots and walking distance to a few. Also it's quiet. We stayed on the fourth floor

Our suite on the 4th floor was spacious, comfortable, well-appointed, and had a perfect view of the beach. The bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed the balcony. This was a wonderful choice for our quick weekend getaway!

Room 209 does NOT have a gulf view. If you want to see the water and this is the only room left, go to another hotel. The bed was comfortable but the pillows are very small. Room was clean, no carpet anywhere in the room.

It's right across from the beach. Less than 15 miles from everything in town. Rooms have a balcony overlooking the gulf. Wish my room had a bathtub. But shower was awesome. Next time I go to Galveston, I'll probably stay there again!

We came down for a cheer competition the entire staff was nice. The young lady that worked the night stuff helps us with a place to go eat. The morning staff was helping with replacing towels etc.....

The view of the beach was amazing. I was on the second floor in one of the rooms at the end and the view was great. It was to cold to enjoy the balcony, but maybe on my next visit. The room was clean and the fridge was cold, which is rare in most rooms. That was a plus. The bed was comfortable. The down side is that when the heater kicked in it was loud. You can also hear the people above you. Overall my stay was great and would book again.

Everything was good... Hotel was clean.. I understood the covid restrictions but overall i had a wonderful time... Ive stayed in this hotel plenty of times and would recommend it to anyone... Will be back soon

This is my fifth stay at this location. The rooms are clean and nice, there's always coffee in the lobby, and everything Galveston offers is just a short drive away. Visiting during this time of COVID, we spent all of our time on the beach and balcony. The balconies all overlook the gulf, offering relaxation any time of day.

This hotel was clean and conveniently located. Our room was at the end of the hall and was very quite. We had a king suite which was very spacious. Bed was comfortable, but pillows were small. We would stay there again.

First off, I'd read in advance that there was no breakfast included, and that was no problem for me as I don't eat breakfast, so this doesn't affect my rating. I will say that they didn't mention this upon checkin (which was otherwise friendly and very efficient), so if I'd been expecting breakfast, I'd have been disappointed. After that checkin with a smile I got to my room, which as I'd requested was on an upper floor. What a wonderful view over the seawall and ocean. Spacious room, comfortable bed, nice and quiet - my only complaint is that even with every lamp on, the room was somewhat dingy and dark. An overhead light would have made a huge difference. For the balcony, I understand that the AC unit has to emit somewhere, so I won't complain about the noise or the backdraft. That's simple physics, and in a hotel of this price range I can't mark it down for that, since there was plenty of space to sit away from the draft. However, the metal chairs were cheap and uncomfortable, and there was an unsightly stain of some kind on the balcony wall. With some slightly better chairs and maybe a little table, I'd have no cause for complaint at all. The bathroom had no tub, but that's my fault for not checking the room description well enough. Low water pressure was disappointing but the temperature was fine, and the tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner are better than the alternative (if I run out I can ask the front desk for more - if I use less than half then it's just a waste that we all pay for via increased prices and environmental costs.) Overall it's a no-frills place with a family clientele - very busy (but quiet) on the Saturday I arrived, half empty on the Sunday and Monday - on the peaceful end of the seawall. I walked to dinner at Gaido's and back and it took just short of an hour each way (but would have been ten minutes or less in the car, in case that spooks you) and had a lovely time. But the room's darkness and the spartan balcony mark it down from 5/5. Didn't use the wifi as I was on a sort of "retreat", so I can't rate that. I did sneak in a few episodes of Family Guy and The Simpsons on FXX, though, so I know the TV worked great, as did the fridge (one step above minibar size, so plenty of room for drinks you bring with you, and some leftovers.) The little lobby shop had plenty of non-perishable snacks but no soda. Less than ten minutes' walk to the west was a small convenience store with soda, beer, t-shirts etc. Within driving distance to the east are dozens more options, including a Walmart, a Kroger, and countless bars and restaurants. Staff were friendly and professional. I'll be back here next month and will request a room with a bathtub. And I'll bring my own lamp :)

Great view at a very good location on the sea wall. Clean comfortable large suite/room. Smelled of cigarette smoke when we arrived but staff sprayed deodorizer and was better. Shower water pressure is Extremely low! If you are there for the beach this is the best straight on view.. I would definitely stay again.

Chose this property due to its proximity to the Galveston attractions but still being just outside of the hustle and bustle. The view from our 3rd floor room was postcard perfect. The room itself was obviously sanitized, clean and freshly appointed. Staff was friendly and helpful with any requests or questions. Here is the rub though; we paid top dollar for the room and got no, not amended but no breakfast. We paid top dollar for the room and got no housekeeping during our stay. We weren't informed of this until we checked in. I would like to hear a real response from management as to why this isn't explained ahead of time and also why the rate isn't adjusted to reflect the reduction in services. We've been looking for a regular place to stay on the island and had high hopes here.

The room was large and very clean. It had a lovely balcony with a great view of the beach. It was with in walking distance to eateries and shopping. The price was perfect. We will stay here again next year.

Excellent staff and comfortable atmosphere! Perfect location. Clean and accessible! We will definitely stay at this location on any future trips to Galveston as well as give priority to future traveling needs in other locations.

After staying in town since February, the outbreak of COVID-19, we planed a two-day trips to Galveston TX for the view of Gulf of Mexico. In 2019, we enjoyed staying at one BW Plus, Exeter CA in our last few trip to Sequola & Kings Canyon NP, it is cozy and friendly. So we chose BW Plus again for the trip to Galveston. We trust in BW's words that "This property has taken extra health and hygiene measures to ensure your safety..". So we decided to hit the road for a 2-day trip, excited to be home-away after staying home for last 6-7 months. Of course, we took extra precautions, minimized the stops for gas or short breaks, wearing mask when indoor or social distance difficult outside. After check-in at the hotel, we were told that breakfast and room service won't be offered at this site, because of COVID-19, even though free breakfast is offered when booking at its website. Understood during this pandemic period, the hotel industry has tried their best to provide service to customers, we need to support. During our short stay at the hotel, we found that not all workers were wearing masks, our room is at 4th floor, the elevator is the only way to get to the room, as staircase is locked. Every time, we took the elevator, we tried to fasten masks with one hand, hold breath, and hoped all wearing masks when taking the same elevator, but, unfortunately, still some patrons did not wear masks waiting for elevators. Compared to all those concerns, the rood condition is not worthy to mention, but I still want to point out that the A/C system is just too noise, even if I upper the thermostats to stop A/C to run, but the noise did not disappear, likely from the exhaust system or returns, Again, no housekeeping service because of COVID, it seems that the hotel was trying to cut all possible cost during COVID, even though it might jeopardize its quality of service. Luckily, we just stayed on night. After a difficult night at BW, we were relived that we could checkout next day morning and got on the trip back home, sweet home. Hopefully, not of us two, after our own precautions, we will catch COVID-19 from the one-night staying at BW. Other customers will do the same to protect themselves and others. I wish that BW and all hotel industry should put aside business cost, maintain the same level of quality service and take extra precautions to protect its employees and patrons. Customers will appreciate their effort and come back support their effort.

Brought my family here for a weekend at the beach. Paid a pretty penny for the room and was highly disappointed. Not worth even half of what we paid. The hotel smells of mildew, the room is falling apart, it's dirty, the balcony smells like urine, the drawers were broken, no sheets for the pull out bed, the phone didn't work, garments laying on the floor in the gym, I could go on and on. Could have just paid the same price for a nicer hotel that I wouldn't be worried about my children sleeping in.

This hotel sits on the Seawall across from the gulf and is very reasonably priced compared to other hotels on the Seawall. The room was okay, but showing age and not very clean. The complimentary breakfast was standard hotel hot continental breakfast fare.

I've always stayed at Best Western due to the cleanliness and this one did not disappoint, especially traveling during these times. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, so that was a plus. The rooms are spacious and clean and I think they all have balconies facing the ocean. We were offered a room on the top floor so our view was great. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay.

Guest rooms are specious with comfortable beds and had a wonderful beach view. Check-in was easy and the clerk was friendly. No breakfast was offered due to Covid. That was disappointing that a To-go style bag was not offered like some other Best Western chains offer. Coffee was good though! The cleaning crew were not wearing masks in the hallway. I had a question at checkout, but staff were too busy on a personal call to pause for a moment. They definitely need to work on guest relations.

Arrived around 7pm, room wasn't cleaned but staff quickly gave another room. Great view of the ocean. Cay hear kids/ people in the room above jumping around early in the morning. Elevators were very hot. Low water pressure to be surrounded by water.

This hotel was across from the beach, great views from all rooms. The rooms were clean and cold! The beds and pillows were comfortable. Front desk staff was awesome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly. Anything we asked for and or needed we're met with high standards. It was so quiet, peaceful and very relaxing

We have stayed at this hotel for three years. This year i had to go get towels everyday and our room wasn't cleaned for two days we stayed from Sunday to Friday. The staff is very friendly and helpful but the cleaning isn't what it used to be. I was supposed to receive 10,000 points for the non cleaning of our room but never received them. All in all we did have a great trip maybe get better cleaning staff

This hotel is exemplary with their customer service. Very accommodating. I definitely would stay here again. All rooms face the ocean I believe. Ours had a great view. The beach across the street was not overcrowded. Thank to the staff.

overall we enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus. We loved the ocean view from the balcony. The pull out couch was dirty and had dirt and sand on the mattress. The street was very busy but the noise was manageable. The breakfast was not available due to covid 19. I feel this should be updated to reflect on their website. The pool was very small but the hottub was nice and big. A bit of hit and miss, but overall we still enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel. Had issues with a couple of items found in the room. They did great to compensate, the GM even called me personally and apologized. I was told cleaning staff would go back over the room, never happened. This is what disappointed me.

As the reviews here state - spacious rooms, great staff, very clean. So, I'll just mention a few things that others might overlook. All the balconies face Seawall Blvd. They are very small and the a/c vents directly onto the balcony so it can be very noisy. But, the traffic on Seawall Blvd is pretty noisy, too. You are across the street from the beach, which is nice. The pool area is tiny! We opted not to swim that night because it was crowded with only a family and a couple of people down there. There is a large hot tub. VERY small area! The parking lot lights shine directly into the room at night; obnoxiously bright! This is a good value. The staff were first rate!

First, the lady that checked me in was super sweet and let me check-in early. My room was spacious and comfortable, and every room faces the beach. The pool was clean and refreshing after a day in the sun and sand. And the hot tub was amazing. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

We've stayed here a few years ago and loved it so much, it was our first pick on a return trip. Granted, this was during Corona times, so social distancing was in place and there was no free breakfast. The property has aged a little since our last visit. Most notable was the balcony door that was very hard to open and close, I'm sure because of the humidity and salt. Also the AC was not working properly and it never really cooled down in our room that evening. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Location is perfect, and we love the view.

Came in at 11:30pm and checked in. The front desk was amazing and help me tremendously. The rooms were very clean and smelled good. No bugs or dirty sheets. One of the nicest hitels I've stayed in since I been coming to Galveston.

Already planning another visit! Hotel on the west side and away from the hustle and bustle. Room was spacious and very clean. I loved that the door to the patio when closed shut out any noise from outside. Huge hot tub and great pool!

We had 7 family members stay in two rooms and our stay was awesome. Service was awesome and helpful and rooms very clean. After hours help was good and attentive. Helps us with tours and storing our stuff. Breakfast was fresh and above normal hotel breakfasts.

Great view of the ocean, the staff were friendly, rooms where nice and clean. Unfortunately there's literally no water pressure in the shower but that's basically the only down side. A bit expensive but would stay here again after checking the shower pressure.

The location was excellent with an ocean front balcony for each room. The breakfast selection was over the top --- bacon, sausage links or patties, eggs, waffles, 6 kinds of cold cereal, oatmeal, yogurt, fruit, pastries, biscuits & gravy, excellent coffee plus much more every day. The rooms were quiet and in pristine condition. The staff was very friendly, pleasant, and helpful. The outdoor pool & hot tub were clean and very nice. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay location was prefect, rooms were very big , Hot tub awesome, and front desk people were very helpful, it was close to downtown and where I needed to be, All rooms have gulf water views with nothing in way and the sun rise is awesome from the room balcony

We stayed at the Best Western on the West end of Seawall BLVD. It was absolutely wonderful with a private balcony on the ocean side. Great breakfast and laundry facilities onsite. The hotel grounds and lobby were exceptional along with the room. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable about the community and various sites we wanted to go to. Thank you for making our vacation so memorable!

Very nice and modern hotel. All rooms have balcony and face the ocean. Nice pool and hot tub. Room is large with good tv balcony with two chairs and nice bathroom. Friendly staff. This is a quiet part of the beach. I'd come back!

The breakfast area was kept clean during the whole meal. The staff were exceptional in their service ! This is by far the best hotel experience we have had. The rooms were clean and managed well. We will stay here again !

Spacious suite with nice balcony view of the water. However the room is dated. The bed was extremely soft. Mattresses definitely need replacing. A good sleep is the most important part of a room so would not recommend this place.

This hotel was a wonderful surprise. We had a king suite, with ocean view and the room was really, really nice. Large and clean and well furnished. The view was perfect from our balcony. There were 2 elevators, so the wait was never long. The staff in this hotel is exceptional, from the front desk to the cleaning service. The breakfast was excellent for this type hotel, with a lot of options and a large eating area. There are 2 attendants just for that area and they kept everything well stocked. Our stay was amazing and I would highly recommend this hotel!

The Hotle was a first for us. We alsways stay in Best Western and this one did not disappoint. All the rooms are oceanside and the view is simply beautiful. Nice balconies with furniture and one of the best beaches in Galveston. It is far enough away from the busy seawall, but close enough to get too. The room was perfecrt, new, modern and spotless. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The serving area was large and the tv was an added nice touch as in the lobby as well. The entire hotel is a beautiful property. The staff from the managers to waitstaff to cleaning staff wer professional, friendly and you could tell they like what they do. Everyone always had a friendly greeting and offer to help with anything. They were happy to give recommendations for places to eat and you could tell, they had tried the palces as well, so there was an honesty built in. Probably one of the best we have ever stayed in and we will return.

The hotel is updated, very clean and the room was very comfortable. View from the room is fabulous. The complementary internet is fast. Add it the good breakfast and staying is a great experience. Staff is friendly and helpful.

We took a weekend trip to Galveston and stayed at the BW. I didn't make a reservation so the only room they had available was a double queen. The room was wonderful! Very clean and roomy, had a balcony that showed the beautiful view of the gulf. Will stay here again when in the area

Better Best Western Hotel that the one at the opposite end of Seawall Blvd. 200 Excellent breakfast, Nice ocean view, Very close to the seawall with hardly any traffic. Loved it most because there were no DOG HAIRS!!!

We had an amazing time at this hotel. It is across the street from the beach and close to food places. The room was quiet and very spacious. The staff was nice and friendly. They were always willing to help.

This part of the Seawall area is less congested, close to 85th street. Pleasantly surprised, clean and well maintained, friendly staff and breakfast included. Balcony to sit outside and enjoy the view, Seawall, beach and Galveston Bay. The view can be enjoyed from inside the room or on the balcony. The room is larger than most hotel rooms. I really liked the walk-in shower, numerous table lamps, outlets, small couch, dish TV, desk, refrigerator and microwave. Bed was comfortable, and had multiple pillows.

Nice big spacious room and great view from the room balcony! Beach right across the hotel which was very convenient. Good staff. Big breakfast spread but few options for vegetarians like me. The bathtub did not drain well but other than that, overall a good place to stay at the beach. They could have put the parking lot lights in a better way so that it would not shine right in your face at night when one wanted to sit in the balcony at night time.

Super clean room and lobby the staff was so helpful told us about the attraction guided us on the the best places to dine and the breakfast was great lots to chose from very tasty and super hours for those of us how likes to sleep in

Had a great time at this hotel. The room & balcony were huge! this place had it all WIFI & free breakfast. Will definitely be back, but will say there are no restaurants & not a lot happening on the west end where this hotel is located but it is nice & quiet except for the road noise.

Rooms are very large and clean. I like the idea of laminate flooring throughout the room vs carpet, much easier to clean. The view from the balcony is great! The service was excellent and it had one of the most complete free breakfast I have seen.

The staff at this place was very warm and friendly and the facilities were very new and well decorated. The room was very quite and comfortable. The location was across the street from the beach and was very convenient to old downtown.

Nice hotel, friendly staff but shops and restaurants are a short drive, not much within walking distance. Room was very comfortable and pretty spacious and clean. Not a fan of the one ply TP or toiletries they had. Beds were very comfy and I would for sure stay again.

We enjoyed our stay. We wanted to get away before the busy holidays. It was my birthday. We had our family coming for Thanksgiving and wanted to rest before the season began. The rooms are perfect, the crew is also great.

We viewed the outside appearance of the motel, before checking in. The outside looked very well kept, so we checked in. The Check-in Hostess was pleasant and informative, arranging a Suite axactly fitting our needs. The suite was nicely furnished, and the room was very clean. The beds and coverings were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast food and the attending staff were all exceptional. This will be our choice on our next trip to this area!

I stayed at the Best Western Plus with a friend for a small getaway November 21-24. The room was clean and had more than enough space for two people. The staff were pleasant. The breakfast had lots of hearty options. The pool and hot tub were perfect for a quick dip. The parking was ample and free. All the rooms face the road and Gulf. There is not much to do within reasonable walking distance, so a car is a must.

Had gnats in the restroom and in living quarters. Merium said nothing could be done until Monday. Scares guests walking very loudly on floor above our room front desk called.. reported activity to the front desk.

When you look for a Best Western in Galveston, you will notice that there are several to choose from. This is the one you want to pick. The rooms are huge and all of them have a gulf view through a large window and private balcony. The beach is just across the seawall drive. Breakfast is as good as I have seen in awhile. All fresh, and attended to by a very efficient breakfast room attendant. The dining area is large enough that you dont feel rushed to gulp and leave. Service in all areas of the hotel is quick and friendly. Im staying here again and would recommend that you give them a try when you are in galveston.

The Best Western Plus Galveston Suites was the perfect choice for our family. The room was very clean & well appointed. The staff was friendly & helpful. The location was perfect for our activities at Moody Gardens & The Rain Forrest Cafe. We LOVED the oceanview! Shopping & Dinning nearby. Will definately stay there again! GREAT stay! 100% Satisfied!

As soon as you walk in you see a beautiful breakfast area to your left. I don't remember exactly what was served as I did not make it down in time, but it sounded amazing. The front desk staff was fantastic. Every single room has a full ocean view! Can't get any better than that! The room was very clean and comfortable. Also, we left an item in the room and didn't notice until we got home almost 13 hours later. We immediately called and asked if it had been found my housekeeping. It had, and it was turned in and they are even mailing it back to us! My husband and I have already decided we are going to stay here again for our next trip to the coast.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It's a very hotel everything is clean. Breakfest in the morning is good big selection. Pool and hot tub are very nice. (Yes we went swimming it was in the 70's today) Staff is friendly. The beach is across the street we had a nice walk this morning. Easy to find location. Would come back.

Everything about this Best Western Plus is outstanding. Excellent location, easy access, plentiful parking, very clean and well maintained, all of the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful, the free wi-fi was very good and the breakfast was exceptionally good in every way. We originally made reservations for 5 nights. Due to a family member's medical emergency we ended up being there for 16 nights. We did not have a single problem or complaint about anything all this time. We travel to Galveston frequently and will not even consider another hotel after our stay in this one. We also highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Galveston.

Don't stay with these guys over a weekend or during a special event. They will more than quadruple the rate on you. You can find a much better deal at LaQuinta or some other hotel. It is too bad that these guys were not happy with the profits that they made just from having every room booked during the Lone Star Rally.

The facility was very clean, breakfast was great and the staff was always available and accommodating. We were actually booked at another hotel, had some fiends at this hotel and really wanted to be in the same spot. The hotel got us in last minute, we canceled our other reservations and Best Western Plus gave us great rates despite some rate increases due to a big event that weekend.

In September I held my 70th birthday party at this Best Western. I had guest from as far away as Seattle WA and Miami FL. They were so impressed with the front desk personnel's kindness and the city of Galveston. The number one comment was, “People are so friendly here”. I spent months planning this event which turned out to be much better than expected. I cannot thank the ladies at this location enough. We became friends and they even surprise me with a birthday gift. Thanks again for all your help.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was quite friendly. We only tried the pool once because there was little shade for those of us who don't want to sit in the sun and the water was quite cold. Breakfast had lots of options. However, drink the coffee at your own risk. My husband said it was even worse than the coffee he made in his helmet when in the Air Force.

This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus, we typically use IHG. This hotel was fantastic! All the rooms face the Gulf with amazing views and have balconies. The room was very large and updated/ spotless. The breakfast was better than an average hotel. Several hot choices including both bacon and sausage. You can walk to the pier or drive less than 1 mile to the sand beach. Good location but the busy road is very noisy. The pool is very nice but it's small and no view from inside the pool.

Nice, clean room. Everything worked including the shower. Nice view. Very friendly staff. It was also very clean which seems hard to do in a beach hotel. The rooms are tiled which I loved, no nasty carpet.

I read the reviews and can agree with: Great staff-they we're so very helpful and friendly Breakfast- pretty standard (missed fresh fruit as an option) Those who said the traffic right outside the hotel didn't bother them must have been on the 5th floor. I was on the 3rd and it was really annoying. I didn't enjoy the terrace much because of the road noise. And this is supposed to me a non smoking hotel but I smelled it upon every return to the room and my clothes upon return home smelled subtly of it... so it's allowed on terraces or something. It is close to many things but also on the more quiet end of town.

My husband and I have been to this hotel several times- sometimes with our grands. They usually are great.....this time we were welcomed wonderfully and were able to check in early...We appreciated this ..The next day, we had smokers on the balconies and were not able to enjoy going out on our balcony. We were told , " Well, it's outside" even though there is a designated area for smoking. Our room was not cleaned until after 5:30 p. m. one day..... The day before, our room was not replenished with soap or towels..... One person said that they were shorthanded ..another said that was not true. Hmmm.

From the time you enter the property, until you leave, there is a feeling that you are being taken care of. The Lobby is open and inviting, providing seating, large screen TV, complimentary coffee, snack room, and multiple computer stations in their own separate area. The staff we encountered were attentive and open to our needs, and requests for information and services. Our room with a king bed, was very spacious, and accommodating. The separate sitting area with it's couch and side tables, the desk and office chair, the bar area with microwave and refrigerator, and the many lamps with plug-ins for charging phones, or computers to search the net as provided was great. Being water people we headed for the pool area. The pool and hot tub were very clean, towels provided, and restrooms within steps of this area makes it nice to enjoy. With the sounds of the waves, bustle of the Seawall, and laughter of those around having a good time...makes this a special place....

What a great place. Room was clean and big. Small balcony with a great ocean view. AC not too loud but definatelty needed. Close enough to the city to cab it cheaply but far enough away to be quiet. Not way down the island in no man's land. All the rooms are ocean facing which is great. Staff was great. We had ZERO issues and would stay here again, no question.

In my opinion this hotel offers the best views of the ocean. You are far enough down on the seawall that you don't have a lot of traffic or people obstructing your views and the beach is always pretty empty. They have a few luggage carts for your use and always have coffee and water in the lobby. Check-in and out is super fast and easy. They have a small little snack area with items and laundry items for sale. If you are an elite member they have "to go packs" which include two snacks and two waters, which is nice. I didn't know about those until this trip and after having bought snacks and water for two days lol. They have a few pack n' plays if you need them and they are available and do offer early check-in if you need it and they can accommodate it. The breakfast area has a nice display and lots of choices (biscuits and gravy, eggs, potatoes, pastries, yogurt, cereal, bacon, sausage, hard boiled eggs etc). I can comfortably get a double stroller in there and not block anyone else while they dine. I've been places where I can't even get to the food due to the tiny area so this was a huge win.The only thing I wish they had was a paper showing you what the basic channels were or which movie channels they had. Going through the guide late night and seeing something I thought I could watch only to find out they didn't have that channel was frustrating. My last stay I made a list of all the channels that I watched or thought someone might and left it lol. I'm sure it was tossed, but it was the thought. This time I didn't have the patience to do that with twin 8 month olds. So Best Western if you are seeing this, maybe make a channel listing card?

We had a group of about 20 people and about six rooms. I realized at the last minute I had this place booked and was so glad that our original hotel plans at the Holiday Inn Seawall fell through because we were fortunate to keep our reservation at the Best Western. I'm so grateful that Edward worked with me and my group. The hotel is amazing and spacious. Everything was clean and everyone was so nice. Again thank you so much!

Overall, this was a very good property. There were many aspects about this hotel which I appreciated and I would give it a 4.5 rating, except for a lapse in customer service upon our departure which knocked my rating down to a 4.0. Pros: 1. All of the rooms have balconies which face the Gulf. (This was the main reason we chose this hotel as we enjoy sitting out, day and night, watching the waves.) 2. The location of this hotel away from the crowded portion of Galveston Island made for a quieter, more restful stay. 3. Our room (king suite) was huge -- probably the largest chain hotel room that I've ever stayed in. 4. The wood floors were fresh and clean -- such a nice change from sometimes questionable carpet. 5. The housekeeping staff was continually cleaning and the lobby, pool area, and dining room were always spotless. 6. With the exception on one lone employee, everyone we encountered (and we encountered quite a few over 3 days) were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Cons: 1. The bright lights in the parking lot (particularly the hotel sign) made it impossible to sit out on the balcony after dark to enjoy the waves. 2. There is no beach across the road from the hotel during high tide and during low tide, it's a very narrow beach which is edged by large granite boulders to protect the seawall. You have to drive elsewhere to find a good beach area. 3. Upon our departure, the front desk attendant was on the telephone trying to find some available dates for a prospective customer. I was kept waiting and waiting and I finally just had to leave (without a receipt). In my experience in customer service, the "live" customer is dealt with before the "phone" customer and that did not happen here.

Clean wood/tile floors in rooms - no musty carpet! Warm, friendly staff, very clean hotel, great breakfast and right on the beach. Safe parking with well lit parking lot. Would absolutely stay at the hotel again!

I love this hotel right on the seawall in Galveston. All rooms face the ocean and you can enjoy our balcony and relax with the sounds of the ocean waves. I will continue to stay at this location on all my trips to Galveston. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, You will not be disappointed at this hotel. The staff is excellent.

After a week long cruise where we were going like Energizer bunnies the whole time, it was so nice to have a cool clean room to rest and wake up to the surf across the street. The pool and hot tub! Wow!

The room was great, the view was great and the price was even better! We will definetly be coming back! We preferred coming for the rates during the week and in August for our convenience and we were not disappointed!

We loved the room and the view. Breakfast was great. My main complaint is that it's hard to enjoy the beach view from the balcony at night because of the bright parking lot lights. As with most Galveston hotels, this BW is located across the street from the beach, however there is no crosswalk and traffic is heavy most of the time. Visitors must either walk several blocks to the nearest traffic light to cross or drive and park along the road if they plan to visit the beach.

We selected this Best Western due to the location when last year we were to take 3 of our grandchildren to the beach. We booked 2 nights - but the children begged to to stay one more - and the reception personnel so accommodating - were able to let us have the same room. The same children got the choice now in 2019 of where ( anywhere) that they would like us to take them - they asked for same place as last summer and same hotel!!!!! Convenient location, very nice large clean rooms - all with a balcony and view to the sea - (which is across the boulevard in front of the hotel) - nice beds and beddings and bath, pool and hot tub and very nice breakfast included And reasonable priced for all. We will be back again.

Front desk very helpful. But management and maintenance does not support guest. Submitted mantenance issue with the room three mornings in a row before i finally had to move because nothing was done to fix the issue. There is very little maintenacne done in the rooms and the managmenet was no where to be found. Breakfeast area was 15-20 minutes late opening half the time i was there.

This was a good choice for the price and the quality of the room and service. Only complaints were the low water pressure and lack of a premium Dish channel. I would recommend this location. Loved the balcony outside of our room with ocean view.

We had a double queen room with a foldout sofa bed. The room was very nice, very clean. Lots of pillows, a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. The breakfast is free and so good. Lots of choices and not skimpy. Breakfast was busy all three mornings, but the coffee was great! Love the balcony. Some people complain about silly things that have nothing to do with the hotel. It is right across the street from the OCEAN! Guess what, there is SAND there. It is humid and that makes doors stick sometimes. The pool is great, the hot tub is HOT.

No kidding the room we had was the size of a double queen and a king together. Right across the street from the beach and they have plenty of parking. The hotel breakfast was great and a lot of options. Location is a bit of a walk to the tourist stuff but we did not mind. Having the beach right across the street was perfect. The sand is so fine you feel it everywhere. I feel for the housekeeping staff keeping the sand at bay. Has guest laundry which you will need unless you plan on bringing the sand home with you. The staff is friendly, housekeeping is overwhelmed and hard to tell who is staff since only half wear uniforms. I know "Island time"

This hotel was amazing compared to ones we have stayed at previously on the island. The staff was super friendly upon arrival and made checking in so easy. In fact every staff I came across asked how we were. Our room was nice and clean and huge! The breakfast in the morning was amazing every day. The breakfast staff was friendly and quick to replenish items before they ran out. The pool area was nice and the hot tub was fantastic. My only complaint would be that our balcony got overlooked as far as cleaning and when we arrived we had to dispose of left over cigars and trash. Other than that our stay was wonderful and we will definitely be back next time.

We frequent the Galveston area and our first stay was a fluke honestly... It was our first Honeymoon and I had reserved a top rated exclusive Suite at the Holiday in Resort. Well long story short the person taking our reservations made a mistake, reserved us a room at the "Normal" Holiday inn, and the room was nothing like I had reserved, the view was terrible (2nd floor vs top floor). Not to mention it was physically the wrong address the one I reserved was an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico on the top floor Suite... Super nice room, as I said it was our first Anniversary and I wanted it to be perfect. The clerk listened to our story after we were told by the clerk at the actual location we had reserved that this location was what they reserved for me, he said look, our sister hotel is the Best Western just down the street and it is probably going to be more inline with what you want, even though it isnt as nice as the Resort room you were trying to stay in. So we go, get a top floor end of the building room, and while it wasnt Resort Status... The people were great, the room was super clean and nice, the bed was nice, the breakfast was great. So it has become our go to place to stay if we are just going for the weekend or bringing the grandchildren down for a day or two at the beach while we are on business. The Holiday in Resort, we did end up staying in for our 2nd Honeymoon and It was fantastic, but it cost almost double also... for the money, if you get a top floor room, you will not be disappointed. It's not the same type room as they have at the Resort mind you, but for the money, this isnt bad at all..

The front desk gentleman Justin and the real sweet lady went above and beyond and were very professional and made our family's first experience to Galveston worth it, and because of them we'll return!

I love this hotel. The view out the window of the beach is great. The pool and hot tub are beautiful and great to use. The lobby is pretty, the breakfast has many options! The employees are very helpful.

the hotel was well located on the seawall and clean, comfortable and convenient. Breakfast was extremely crowded and the although the food was plentiful the staff could not keep up with cleaning and replenishment.

The hotel is right on the beach with balconys and a warm cool. Since the last time we stayed there the flooring has been changed to vinyl and the breakfast area every morning is very cold. Vinyl flooring might be easier to clean but when people are above you it is loud. You can hear every step and kids running. Not so good. That part of the hotel was a unwelcome surprise.

The hotel has an excellent staff, found a water leak coming from the sink an they had someone on it within mins. Breakfast was great the staff was always cleaning and making sure there was food for the guest.

We stayed two weeks that this location. Overall, it is very nice. Ninety-eight percent of the rooms have an ocean-view. The pool is located on the shady-side of the hotel, and the huge hottub is amazing. As long as the noise level is kept to a minimum, the pool hours are not strictly enforced. The hotel is conveniently located to Schlitterbahn and Moody Gardens, and catching the trolley is just a short walk. The front desk staff rocks - going above and beyond to provide excellent customer service! Hats off to: Kathryn, Candy, Anna, Canyon, and Justin!! Folks like these are the main reason I'm a Diamond Select member. My only concern with this hotel is the lack of attention to detail by the housekeeping dept. I was disturbed by the filth I found under the room's furnishings when I moved things around. I didn't dare move the couch for fear of what I might find. The "rushed" housekeeping service is very obvious. Dora, Housekeeping Supervisor, became rude and defensive when I addressed these issues...

Very nice and clean rooms were spacious and pretty. Every room has a balcony the view is perfect! The pool area was clean and both pool and hot tub were also clean! Our rooms were taking care of everyday when we left to start our day we will definitely stay here again!

My family stayed here during a short getaway. The rooms and the entire hotel was clean and updated in appearance. The hotel was right across the street from the beach. It was located away from the congested area of Seawall Blvd which was nice. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The free breakfast offered a variety of foods including pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, and cereal. Each room had a view of the Gulf. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a nice place to stay.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The check in was so easy. The clerk was very personable. We arrived a little early,r rooms were available. The room rate was extremely overpriced though. The lobby was beautiful.

I stayed here with my teenage children. The room was very clean and we had a fabulous view of the Gulf from our balcony. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, fitness center and the breakfast. There were a lot of different selections for breakfast. (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, muffins, waffles, yogurt, cereal, ect). We loved our stay.

This hotel was wonderful for our family trip. The rooms were spacious, clean and updated. Loved having the ocean outside our balcony to see and listen to the waves. Quiet at night since not right in the middle of town. Awesome breakfast and friendly staff. Pool and jacuzzi also so nice!

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel & never had a single problem. The view was outstanding from our 2nd floor balcony. Beds were comfortable, room was clean, and room service did a great job daily. We will definitely be back the next time we vacation in Galveston.

Was a great place to stay beach front with balcony. Had clean rooms,pool and hot tub. Was on fourth floor it was quite. It had a small refrigerator and microwave. Bathroom were clean. It had two queen size beds and a sofa bed all so tv.

We are amazed at how clean the rooms are and spacious. We consistently stay here because of it. Cleanliness is very important to us. You also can't beat the view. Staff is very nice and professional. We highly recommend this hotel.

This was a great place to stay right across from here he beach. Every room has an ocean from view with beautiful sunrise in the morning. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of choices. The pool is very nice as well as the hot tub. We had a great time.

Upon arrival everyone was very friendly and helpful in giving us coupons and suggestions plus directions on where to go eat and things to do. The room was extremely clean and they did an excellent job cleaning it while we were out and about especially since we had 2 children with us. We will definitely be back!

Great location- the beach is not huge, but it is very sparsely populated which is awesome! The air conditioning didn't work great. The view is great and every room has a balcony. Clean rooms, decent staff, the pool is small but very nice.

Everything was very clean, breakfast buffet was excellent, right on the seawall, within walking distance to fishing pier, hot tub and pool were clean and spacious, free parking, staff were very nice and accommodating. Definitely would stay here again!!!

My husband and I booked this hotel the night before we stayed. The price was great. We got the room we asked for looking out to the beach. I think all rooms have balconies looking to the beach. The beach is about 200 feet from the hotel. So nice. Breakfast was good. Room was spacious.

This hotel is located right on the Seawall and is convenient to many attractions. Beautiful inside and out. Loved the huge jacuzzi...cleanest I've ever seen at a hotel. Hallways, rooms, and breakfast room are very spacious. Staff is friendly and provided exceptional service. Property is well-maintained and well-lit.

Having received a Free One Night Voucher for previous stays at Best Western, we decided to take a visit to Galveston. Reservation over the phone was easy, arrival at hotel was wonderful with very nice and friendly front desk personnel. Room was nice and very cold AC (kids love it). Breakfast was delicious with variety of healthy food. Overall all, we were very satisfy with our stay. Highly recommended-

I was disappointed in my stay, considering this hotel has received great reviews. I called ahead to ask about check in time and it took me forever to get through to an actual person. When I finally spoke with someone, she was very short with me on the phone and seemed overwhelmed. Unfortunately, in the middle of the night, we awoke to someone pounding on random doors, obviously lost and/or drunk. When I called the front desk staff, they told me that they thought the problem was taken care of, but obviously not. That morning, we didn't receive our wake up call and were woken up by housekeeping staff knocking on our door at 9:15, well before the check out time. On the plus side, the actual room was spacious, clean and functional. The breakfast was good, but was not replenished. Overall, I felt like the staff was short-handed and a little overwhelmed.

Easy parking, nice hotel staff, right on the seawall. Couldn't be more relaxed than we were on this vacation. This was my second time staying here and it is a reliable hotel when staying on the seawall. Around the corner is a brewery too! The staff went out of their way to put me in a comfortable room and a floor with a high up view.

Delicious breakfast, helpful staff, clean rooms. Shower NOT slippery. Loved the angles and hot breakfast of eggs, crispy bacon and biscuits with gravy. Balcony was nice but difficult to see over the rail when sweated. Hot tub was very nice and the pool was ok. Couldn't see ocean from pool but could hear the oceans roll. Room was quiet and the towels were clean and soft. Plenty of towels were in room. It was a nice king room. The mattress wasn't great and the sheets were ok but not really soft. I would stay here again.

Nice clean room great folks at the front desk beautiful views from our rooms balcony of the Gulf wonderful sounds of the surf rolling in at night with a bit of traffic mixed in but I won't complain about that the surf noise drowned that out. Nice breakfast in the morning with very good choices. The only real complaint we had with our 2 nights stay were the hotel parking lot lights they really shine to much up on the hotel there bright lights and they really light up the parking lot well but they really need to tilt them down so they shine less on the building so that at night you can sit on your balcony and watch as well as listen to the surf and not be blinded by them. But I will not take away any stars for that 5 stars for these folks. Thanks for a great stay.

Very clean pool was nice friendly staff When they say check in is at 4:00 they mean 4:00 we went to check in around 3:00 and we had to leave and the lady called me at 3:59 to tell us our room was ready

I've been coming to Galveston for many years and stay at Best Westerns regularly( Im a diamond card member), so let me tell you that this place is THE place to stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, breakfast better than most and a better selection than most. You will not find the rooms to be moldy smelling like most. I had family come by to visit and they cruise alot. They have said that this place will be the only place they stay before their cruises and will be telling all of their friends.

My wife and I recently spent 1 night here on a trip along the gulf coast. Our room was large, had great seating and lighting and the balcony with gulf front view was super. Too bad about the busy road between the hotel and the water, but that's the way it is on the island. Staff were friendly and helpful. The spa was nice and relaxing and breakfast was way above average for motel faire. The price we paid was very good as well. All in all we loved our short stay here and would use this property again should we be in the area.

Nice hotel, however room was on first floor which had vehicles parked obstructing view. Hotel should discount rate if stuck on first floor. No other rooms available. Location was 20 minutes from main areas of Galveston.

I had a friend visit and stay here while he was in town. Nice accommodations and very friendly and helpful staff. The property is fairly new and very upscale and clean. I like the pool and hot tub and they have a really good continental breakfast. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice clean place to stay while in Galveston.

This is my third visit to this hotel. This will be the last visit. I booked this room through Expedia for a quick get away with my husband. Upon check-in the girl at the desk seem to be new. I gave her my name along with my card I had to inform her that my room was paid for online before I was charged twice. The Manager had to assist her stating that she only needed my card on file in case I smoked in the room which offended me because I dont smoke. He should have said for incidentals. I requested a room on a high floor and was given a room on the third floor(I was okay with that). Another couple came in and they were asked if they were members because one of the perk to being a member was a room on the top floor. I am also a member but was never asked. I proceeded to the room. When I arrived at the room the door was already open. The door could not close because it was broken off the hinges. I went back downstairs carrying all of my luggage. I informed them that the door was broken on the room and the manager attempted to go and check the room and expected me to go with him. I told him I did not want that room. I needed a different room because the door was broken. He act as if I was lying. This is the worst check-in experience I have ever had. I am never visiting this hotel ever again. The room and location is good by the hotel is lacking in customer service. My recommendation to anyone is to find another hotel if you prefer the west end there are several.

This newer hotel on the less 'touristy' end of the island is still very close to all the action. The full breakfast included was a very nice perk of staying in this very clean, quite hotel with gulf views. Very reasonably priced for the view and style of hotel, compared to others in the area. There is another BW very near this one which is dirty and stinks of mildew - don't make the mistake of missing out on the BW PLUS experience!

Checked in on a Wednesday...paid for 3 days in advance. No water pressure in shower, desk broken and unsafe. Room was not cleaned on Day 1. Day 2 was the day from hell. Locked us out of our room even though it was already paid for. Manager refused to come out and speak to me at the desk..extremely rude staff and total chaos in this establishment. Absolutely no customer service. Best Western this place is hurting your good name!

Two problems I had with this hotel. First they put us in a room on the first floor. I told them I didn't want a room on the first floor. I was told that on other rooms were available. I told them your hotel is practically empty. Then they say will a room on the third floor be ok. I don't appreciate them being untruthful. Second the water pressure was so poor that you couldn't hardly wash the shampoo out of your hair. Other than that, the hotel was fine.

Tv - no kids channels only skin flicks or infomercials so the kids couldn't enjoy the tv when it was too cold and windy to be at the beach Bathroom - hole punched in door, shower door broken, very low water pressure Breakfast - 3 front desk employees told me the same wrong time so didn't get any breakfast the next day and had to take my family out to eat Staff - bad attitude, lack of care about my issues, very unprofessional, openly arguing/fighting in front of guests

We checked in on Thursday and all seemed ok. The room is ok size and has sea view, wasn't super clean but ok. The next day only one of our twin beds was cleaned. Today our room.was not serviced at all. Despite numerous calls and requests at reception nobody cleaned our room. Every time we passed by reception customers had an issue with the hotel and they even called the Police on some guests. If you like good customer service and a clean room, clean bathroom and clean towels do aNot stay here. Thoroughly disappointing.

Great location, really good breakfast and location! Arrived on a Saturday afternoon and check-in was a breeze, very friendly front end staff. Only reason not providing a 5 is the checkout staff on Monday afternoon. Walked up and they didn't even acknowledge us, just said something like "room #". No "hello", "how was your stay", nope..not a thing. Would go back only because the location is great.

Where to begin. Tried to check in, we were told that a bunch of the cleaning staff had called in and the rooms were not ready. They asked for more time and if we could check in later. We came back much later and were told the room that we had booked online (King Suite) was unavailable. The lady at the desk told us that we would be placed in a double bed room which was "a lot higher than our original room." The manager told us that she would set us up with Best Western Rewards and give 2000 points for the trouble. When we got to the room, the AC was not on and it was putrid. The pool and hot tub were closed with no explanation. When we went to check out, and mentioned that the manager was going to set us up with the Rewards and Points, she gave us a pad and told us to write down the conversation and that she could not do it since she was not there. She went on the apologize saying that that was only her second day to work there and that she was quiting. There is a sign posted that a manager is always on duty and when we asked to speak to them, we were told that she was the only one there. HORRIBLE SERVICE for an overpriced room!

Everyone here was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were very nice and and comfortable. The balcony overlooking the water was incredible. I would stay here again! the hotel is conveniently located, and easy to get in and out of.

Dissatisfied with the staff and manager of this hotel. Booked directly with front desk and did not get the room what I requested even though I booked a week ahead. Our room had sticky substance on the floor and counter top by microwave. Never saw a manager to speak with about the hotel issues and was there for 4 days.

We loved our stay at this hotel! Great rooms! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Beautiful views! Stayed in 5th floor, king size with an Awsome ocean view! Breakfast was great, a lot variety and staff always checking and stocking. First time staying at a hotel at Galveston. This will be our go to hotel when in Galveston! Had plumbing issues with 1st room that couldn't be fixed on a sunday. Moved us to a better room even offered to helped move. Water pressure in shower could improve otherwise great place to stay. Great free breakfast bar. Friendly staff. Hard to beat the price and view.

The ladies at the front desk were amazing upon check in and check out. The room was amazing and had the best ocean view when you look out the window or walk out of the door that was in the room to the balcony.

I've been coming to this hotel since hurricane Harvey our house flooded and we had nowhere to go the hotels were all flooded around so we decided to take a trip to Galveston and we were open arms with Miss Ana Canyon and Dade they took good care of us there's times we had to stay in the hotel 3 or 4 days but we loved the hospitality and housekeepers were great the hotel was always a very clean well we just came in and March to stay at the hotel and it looked really crappy friend s was horrible I don't know who was working but not the people that used to work there before I did not feel welcomed at all the rooms weren't done and the manager was being rude to one of them front desk people that was very unprofessional of her I don't think we'll be coming back to this hotel anymore because we just didn't feel welcome like we did before we just love being there we love the people that work there before well I hope they get their stuff together and get the hotel situated because they lost a lot of service from us we were family we were regulars and we only love going there because we were treated like one of theirs well Anna & Canyon we're great to us they were great staff and treated us great I haven't seen them around lately which is making me start to worry because they were such great people now we have to deal with them rude people

The rooms are clean, decor is nice, all amenities working , microwave, Refrigerator, coffee pot, w/several packs of coffee, creamer, sugars, big closet, blow drier in the bathroom with soaps, shampoo, conditioner, bathroom tissue all well stocked, with Towels, washcloth, hand towels. just the way you would have it at your home, friendly and helpful staff. Meet all my needs and expectations.

Booked as a best western diamond member on website. Never had a problem with bestwestern before . Checked in 8pm ish, informed that no rooms on 2nd floor were cleaned however she located last 2 queen bed room on 2nd floor. Was told manager forgot it was spring break and she was new and alone and manager had called in someone to clean all the rooms. Went to room, film on shower , not swept, Bobby pins laying about , nail clippings, food .. beds were ruffled up. Went downstairs to ask for new room, told I would have to wait. I asked to cancel my reservation and return my points etc. I Asked for manager who kept calling clerk into her office to covey information to me. When asked if the manager could come out and speak to me, I was greeted condescendingly and told to leave the premises. I felt discriminated against humiliation. They told me to call customer service customer service said that the hotel had to issue. Horrible filthy hotel and bad management that has no clue as to customer service or how to manage her employees obviously and has no business running a hotel into the ground . Too 5 most horrible experience of my travel life . Best western needs to revisit their hiring practices of who represents their company philosophy.

Booked a quick stay for Spring Break. Was guaranteed 2 hour early check in. Didn't need it since we arrived at 6:30 pm, however we were told we had to wait 30 minutes for our room to be cleaned. We arrived 3 1/2 hours after check in, and were told to wait! The room was spacious, but absolutely no working A/C. It was set on 60 when we arrived, but never got above 85 degrees. Hoping we'd come back from dinner, and our room would be cooler, but it wasn't. Called front desk at 9:55 pm and were told someone would come look at the A/C. 10:45 and no one had shown up, so we call front desk again. The lady says, “We'll gladly put you up in another Best Western.” Remember, it's almost 11 pm, we've all had showers, we're exhausted, and are trying to sleep, but are miserably hot. Only after my husband suggested we receive a refund, did she agree and hang up. This hotel doesn't want to be bothered by their guests. There were no linens for the sofa bed in the room, and all they'd give us were extra sheets for it. The outside balcony railing is very loose, and not safe for anyone to lean on. We'll never stay at or recommend Best Western again. Awful experience!

Stayed here for 3 nights, clean, safe hotel. All rooms face the water. Employees were helpful & breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable, bathroom nice. We were on the 5th floor very quiet. Will be back

Very nice hotel with great views of the ocean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is nice with many options to choose from. The water pressure was weak and the towels were not very soft during this stay. I have stayed here before and will stay here again.

The staff was friendly upon arrival and during our stay. The rooms were very clean and beds are extremely comfortable. The location is not to far from area attractions. We have stayed previously and enjoyed the view of the Gulf. Definitely recommend this stay and look forward to our next stay!

The hotel is lovely. Clean, and convenient. Chose this hotel based on previous reviews and found it was as stated. Staff was very friendly and location was great. The breakfast was ok, I'd stay clear of the eggs, other than that, it was nice

Comfy beds, pillows and rooms. Clean and fresh. This is the only place I stay when in Galveston. The staff is always friendly. Great free continental breakfast with amazing biscuits and gravy! Breakfast area is always clean also with a great staff.

The room was clean, the staff very friendly & every room has an ocean view. The window to view the ocean could be a little bigger but not a big deal overall. Having a fridge and microwave in every room is a huge plus and saves on having to go out for each meal. There's even a few local places that deliver to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

A good place to stay, but - the ocean front rooms opened to a major highway between the hotel and the Culf of Mexico. This caused lvery oud traffic noises day and night if the door was open or you tried to sit on the balcony. No glass door or picture window to look out if the door was closed (as it needed to be for the noise). So the Gulf view experience was negated. Price was good for Friday but the price doubled for Saturday.

This is a great hotel for your pre cruise stay. They offer a great military rate, so very reasonable for a 1 night stay. Good location out of the hustle and bustle of the Seawall. Beach is across the street. Rooms are large and have a microwave and mini frig. Accommodations have always been clean, staff is very friendly. This is our go to hotel in Galveston! Highly recommend.

This hotel was so nice and clean. Could see beach from room and balcony. The staff was friendly. The only regret I have is not staying longer. So much better than the last best western I stayed at. Will be back soon.

We stay in Galveston quite often for business! We really like the Best Western Plus because it is like a vacation! All the rooms face to the ocean, and the swimming pool and jacuzzi is just fantastic! If they are full when we get there, we are sad, and check availability everyday until we can get a room! It seems we always extend our stay because we are having such a great time there. It is the only hotel that I have seen that has real potatoes with rosemary for breakfast! Yum! Can't wait to go back again!

We absolutely loved it , everything was Great & We will be back next summer & next Christmas . Highly recommend . Great view from our room of the ocean & close to all the great attractions & restaurants on the island

My trip to Galveston was a disaster from beginning to end. I decided to go on my own because I needed to get out of Dallas, despite the fact that I left my husband behind in the E.R. I had not been to Galveston in a few years and was really looking forward to getting there. When I arrived in tears I was comforted by Renee who gave me water and told me that she had given me a room with a view. I always like the top floor (unfortunately, I was on the 2nd of 3 floors), but I didn't complain because I was grateful to at least have a view. Well before I was ready to rise the next morning I was jolted awake by the upstairs neighbor with elephant feet. I asked for another room and was offered one facing the parking lot. I drove 6 hours in nearly bumper to bumper traffic, left my husband in the E.R. to be offered a room facing the parking lot. I turned that room down and thought I'll weather the storm, only to be awaken this time at 1:30 a.m. with another heavy walker. So at 1:30 a.m. I'm on the phone canceling my last 2 nights. If you're reading this BWP, you're a hotel!!!!!!!You're providing a place for people to get rest. Perhaps you should build your hotel with more quality material so that maybe not just the occupants on the top floor will be the only ones to get any sleep. I also tried to take a little nap during the day and guess what? No such luck. You could hear every conversation taking place in the hall, a running vacuum cleaner and the doors closing. Didn't help that there's a gap underneath the door. I would like to make it clear the staff was very kind and attempted to be accommodating. Breakfast was decent enough, the Wi-fi actually worked, and the room itself was quite nice, but there was little peace to be had there. My recommendation - - - if you are only staying one night to catch a cruise ship then this place will probably be tolerable and quickly in your rear view mirror, but think twice if you're using this place for your mini vacay. You won't get any rest!!

I love the fact that all rooms have a gulf view. So relaxing to sit on the balcony and just relax. I don't need any frills like a spa or bar downstairs. This hotel is always a great stay and not far from Texas A&M Galveston if your child attends. This hotel is a bit far from Pleasure Pier and other places but not to far from 61st street. This hotel is located closer to West end Galveston. Will stay again!

Cleanest room I have ever had. Friendliest staff AM & PM. Rooms are the Best Buy in Galveston. Ridiculously low rate for the quality of rooms and service. The most awesome thing about this hotel is the stunning view of the ocean and the huge suites! I also wanted to mention the great location. Close to everything yet in a quiet spot. I definitely recommend this hotel to all of my friends and business contacts.

My husband, sister and I had a wonderful stay here for 3 nights. The suite was very spacious. We had 2 queen beds which were very comfortable and a large living area with sofa, chair, coffee table, desk and desk chair, so the 3 of us had plenty of room to spread out. We had a great view of the water from our balcony on the 4th floor. We were here for 3 nights during the Lonestar Biker Rally. The breakfast selections were very good and quite tasty. We really enjoyed everything, especially the waffles. We hope to be back. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Only reason I didn't give this hotel 5 stars is bc of the breakfast isn't great. However, EVERY room has an ocean view. The beds are comfortable, staff is nice, and overall good hotel. We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for a birthday trip. Super nice hotel, and a wonderful view from our room. So much to do in Galveston, we will definitely be back! Hotel pool was open and it was a wonderful relaxing area.

Wonderful view and comfortable beds. We stayed 2 nights during the LONESTAR RALLY. For the most part the stay was great; the only complaint is the exterior sound proofing is not the greatest thus allowing a lot of motorcycle noise in until after 3am. Btw, earplugs are a life saver for me.

This hotel is right on the Galveston Seawall and looks right out over the ocean with private balcony rooms. Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff is friendly and professional. Great place for a relaxing weekend.

Great place to stay in Galveston. It's clean inside and out and the staff is terrific! The suites are roomy and the view from the balcony is very nice. There are two elevators and parking front and rear. Chrystal prepares a very good breakfast to get you going first thing every morning!

Had a short trip to Galveston with grandson, chose the Best Western, it was amazing! The hotel itself was beautiful, and the staff was extremely friendly. We took a dip in the pool and hot tub, the area was nicely arranged and clean, there was not one thing about our stay that I would or could complain about, we will be back for sure!

The hotel in and of itself was great. Pretty and clean. The staff spoken to was extremely polite. When I went to use the hairdryer, the very first thing i pulled from the bag they are kept in was a very dirty and crusty pair of women's underwear. They were brought down and brought to the attention of the frost desk staff, who apologized profusely, and we were sent away with a promise of this being passed to the manager and contact being made. After a 7 day cruise, I still have not an email or voicemail from any member of management, I've just been left with the memory of the feel of old, stiff and dirty panties in my hand.

We stayed 3 nights at BW plus on the seawall and had a wonderful time. The view is amazing from the balcony, the hotel was quiet and peaceful (off-season) and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast was standard for free breakfast. It could be better but we took advantage of free. Our AC in the room could have been better as well but we weren't uncomfortable. Overall a great experience. Very relaxing.

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious. The bathroom is nice with a nice walk in shower. All rooms face the beach. Seawall Blvd, lies between the hotel and the beach so you will have road noise sitting on your balcony. We are Diamond Select members and we called earlier in the day to request an upper floor room. They will only assign rooms upon arrival. The gentlemen on duty said there were many empty rooms that day so we should no problems. When we arrived our room was on the 2 nd floor with an obstructed view. After agreeing to a double room, we were placed on the 4 th floor. That night we looked at the hotel and the 5 th floor had no lights, so I could not understand why they put us in the first room.Honor members you will receive no privileges at this facility. We arrived at 4:30 pm and our room was like a furnace. The air must have been off for many hours in the room. Once the A/C was turned on cold air did come out. We went out for dinner, when we came back to the room , it was still hot. There is a sign on the balcony door when you open it the air will turnoff. The main door must have a sensor or motion detector to turn off air when you leave. Our room finally was cool enough about 10 that night. Our beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was mediocre. The same both days. Powdered eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits and gravy. There were no eggs the first day until another guest told the front desk. The front desk finally was able to get the kitchen attendant to come out of the back room. Probably will not stay here again. We are also Hilton Diamond and will stay at one of their hotels where you receive privileges for being loyalty members such as room selection, parking and snacks. We have enjoyed staying at other Best Western such as the one in Atascocita Tx where they go out of there way to help you. This was not one of those best Westerns.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Friendly staff & clean rooms fully supplied with everything we could need. Breakfast bars have a huge variety for every taste. The room was perfect. Slept like a queen. King/living area. I stayed on the balcony over looking the gulf when not asleep. Onsite laundry was a huge plus after traveling. This place feels like home. I feel safe & comfortable.

We just arrived back from long weekend in Galveston. We booked this hotel through a special deal so we were not sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. The staff on the front desk we're friendly and accommodating, they gave us an alternative room to the one that had been booked for us. The hotel and room was clean, there is ample parking in the back of the hotel and it is across the road from the beach. I really liked that it was a real shower (not over the bath) and the room was huge. The only things that were not so great were the water pressure in the shower which was feeble and the breakfast. The breakfast is not good quality, even if it is 'free'. We went to Shykatz and to the Sunflower bakery for breakfast two days and survived the hotel the other two. It's ok for a short break, try to get a room on the higher floors with a balcony.

This hotel was excellent. The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy. The only complaint was the breakfast choices. We were here for 7 nights and had the same breakfast options every morning. Biscuits and gravy were good. Sausage patties were ok. But the egg omelette was horrible. They really need to rethink the breakfast options.

This a very nice, reasonably priced hotel. It is on the West end of Seawall Blvd, away from most of the restaurants, crowds, and Galveston Pleasure Pier. But we prefer the quieter West end and it's only a short, few miles drive to everything on the East end. Our room was clean and spacious, bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was a good variety, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereal, pastries, bagels. We stayed 3 nights for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary weekend getaway. We'll definitely stay here again when we go to Galveston.

When you think a best Western, nice hotel is not the first thing you think. We took a last minute vacation to Galveston. We checked out several hotels and chose this one because I read great reviews on it and liked that it had the continental breakfast. This is farther down from all the hustle and bustle so it's a quick trolley or Uber ride down to the boardwalk. The hotel was super clean and has a nice decor. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Room had a nice size fridge and microwave. I'm discounting one star because the breakfast was not good. They didn't even have orange juice. I would stay here again.

The hotel looos nice, but doesn't function well for a family vacation stay. Their “suites” are just two bed with a pullout couch, not separate rooms. Breakfast was not appetizing, ended at 9:00 am, and had very little in the way of gluten free options.

Great location and great for the price. The only issues were the walls are thin and the people staying next to us were bumping and hitting the wall. The peopl above us were stomped so loud I thought the were coming through the ceiling .

Took my son and a friend of his for a long weekend vacation. Hotel was very clean. Bed's were comfortable. Breakfast was good. Only negative is the hotel is a ways from the main events of the seawall. Beach across the street is small, but not crowded at all.

We came for a short vacation and had a great time. The staff was helpful and friendly, the breakfast tasty, the rooms very clean and modern. Every room has an ocean view and you can walk across the street (if you run fast) to a small beach. The pool is lovely too. I would stay here again.

My family loved it. We spent time on the balcony looking at the busy seawall. We loved the pool. It's small, but nice with a large hot tub next to it. You get served breakfast every morning. If you're a rewards member, they give you a treat when you arrive. That was very welcoming and special. There's plenty of parking in the back. Hotel is a walking distance to the Galveston fishing pier and very close to Schlitterbahn, Moody Gardens, and the Flight Museum. We will definitely return

By far the best service I have ever received. Specifically, Canyon, she was excellent. Highly recommend this place. The rooms were great, very clean. Balcony ocean view room. Small fridge and microwave was included. Pool and hot tub and fitness center was a plus!

We were on the top floor in a suite. My family really enjoyed it, but it wasn't over the rainbow amazing. We were really happy that the beach was so close, but our experience was just average. Breakfast wasn't the best. We had to go down to the front desk if we ever needed anything, and it was really easy to hear through the walls. I must say though. The beds were really soft and comfy and we could fit my entire family (6 people) in the 2 queen suite

Well we have stayed at this hotel before. I'd rather stay somewhere else. The hot tub was not hot it was cold. the breakfast wasn't the same as the last time we went. The waffles was dry. The eggs weren't that good. The only thing I liked was the room the room was clean and nice. The laundry room none of the washers worked just the dryers. The staff was friendly. The good thing was you can see the ocean from the room.

We checked in Tuesday afternoon and I had requested a top floor room away from the elevators. The nice older gentlemen at the front desk accommodated my request and I asked if we could stay over one more night to go to NASA and they took care of that too. This is a short drive from NASA. It is a very clean Hotel and all rooms face the ocean. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Cleanliness is so important to me before price and location. However, this motel has all three. Every room has a balcony with a beach view. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We checked in a hotel down the street and after going to the room we knew we couldn't stay. It was filthy. We loaded up our family and luggage and started trying to find another place to stay. We arrived at the Best Western Plus at almost 11:00 at night. The man at the front desk was so kind and went to work to help us find a room. He even allowed me to see the room they had available before checking in. After what we'd just been through I didn't want to risk that again! We stayed in a queen suite and it worked perfectly for our family. I'm very picky when it comes to where my family stays but I completely recommend this place! A bonus, excellent views from your balcony, the beach is right across the street!

A fabulous room over looking the beach and pier. The room was massive with a balcony to sit out on it also had a massive shower. The breakfast was a little disappointing long queues and a lot of the food was gone. The staff were very friendly and helpful and so were the room staff. It also has a good pool so you don't have to dice with Death crossing the road to get to the beach.

We stayed here only one night as we were boarding a cruise the next day... we paid for a suite which was in sub par condition It was over 300.00 for one night for a family of 5. The couch bed you could not sleep on the mattress was very thin and not in good shape. The room needs to be renovated. The ac barely blew and we had to request a fan to stay cool. The lobby air was not working either and very humid. The front desk clerk was very rude! You are better off staying in Houston or Texas City for the night.

The front desk went out of their way to switch us from a room by the elevator to the top floor, a room on the end, where it was quiet. Our stay was peaceful and pleasant. View of the Gulf from our little balcony was amazing, although during the weekend, the street noise from Seawall Boulevard was significant. However, when the door was closed we didn't hear it in the room. The room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed was comfortable. I appreciated having hard floors instead of carpet, no leftover sand on the floors. Breakfast had multiple options including make it yourself waffles, plus and egg dish, oatmeal, cereals Etc.

We ended up going to Galveston on Holiday Inn Resorts, my wife mistakenly agreed to a "deal" from Holiday Inn... come listen to a pitch on a TimeShare and get a free room for 3 nights! She expected to be able to take her sister, but the stipulations were that I had to go and also waste 2 hours on the tour. It actually turned into 3 hours, but we'd already decided our answer was to be a resounding "no". It's not our style, and especially not for $50,000 paid over 5 years! We don't vacation that way and although not as limited as many timeshares, still nothing we were ever interested in. However, they gave us that $199 money back, and paid for our 3 nights at the Best Western (a Holiday Inn sister facility). We only paid for taxes, so other than the 3 wasted hours we'll never get back, not too bad. The Best Western Plus itself was rather nice, new and conveniently located on the Seawall. All rooms have a balcony, albeit small, and face the Gulf. We were put on the 5th floor with a King Bed. It's a fairly new building and the amenities are above average for a budget style hotel. There was a good sized shower instead of a bathtub, which I appreciate. The staff was friendly and helpful, they made for an easy check in and check out. The only down side was that one of the two elevators quit working for a while, so the wait was long at times. The free breakfast wasn't great, but decent... and free! There was plenty of parking, which can be a problem with others we've stayed at on the Seawall. All in all, we were pleased, it allowed us to see friends and eat some seafood, which I'm always a fan of.

We really enjoyed this hotel!!! Not only was it across the street from the beach but all of the rooms face the beach, rare on the seawall blvd. They have private balconies with two chairs so you can enjoy the view and the breeze!! The rooms are clean and large!! We had a double queen suite and it was great! Dish network with a flat HDTV, micro fridge and a microwave. There is also free wifi. There is a pool with a gazebo and a hot tub. There is free breakfast but we never ate downstairs. This is the only place we are staying when we come back to Galveston unless we bring our dog, then we have to stay somewhere else! My kids loved being able to see the ocean from our room. This place is really nice, money well spent!!! This was an amazing stay that really made our first family vacation special.

The room size was the substantial. The balcony faces the beach on the other side of the road. The breakfast was okay, but not great. There was not as much a variety as some other hotel breakfast buffets (no bacon!).

Everyone was great and hospitable... wish the breakfast had more to it . We appreciate the wonderful staff. Thank you for such a nice and enjoyable visit with our granddaughter . She is so special to us.....

Hotel room is ocean view and not beach front which means you will need to cross a busy street and go down some stairs to access beach. You will also have to bring your own beach chair and tent since it is a public beach. Hotel room is clean. Pool is not big. Shampoo and conditioner bottles are tiny. We had to ask for more. Bedding for sofa bed is not stocked in the room. Breakfast quality is very disappointing. Line for waffle station is very long. Other breakfast items run out quickly and refill is slow. Milk and juice didn't taste good. Overall, we felt it is not a good value for money (we paid over 300 dollars per night for memorial day weekend stay).

We were supposed to be in Orlando in May for a theme park vacation until the Tropical storms developed in the gulf. With 8-10 inches of rain forecasted I didn't feel like spending my money watching movies in the hotel. Because I couldn't change the dates I changed locations. We ended up going to Galveston Island in Texas. The weather was beautiful, 80's, sunny and a nice 10 mph breeze every day. Being the last minute, all my usual hotels were full. This Best Western was the only one with 3 rooms for the 6 of us traveling. I usually would not touch a Best Western with a 10 foot pole but I didn't have many options. I booked it. We arrived and was pleasantly surprised to find this is a newer hotel. It has 5 floors and all rooms over look the gulf. No Partial views. We were on the 4th floor rooms 416, 417 & 418. All rooms were 2 queen beds, a nice sitting area with a couch/pull out queen, desk, nice bathroom with stand up shower and a nice balcony with 2 chairs. I was really impressed as this hotel competed with the Hyatts, Marriotts, Hampden inns etc. This also had a FREE breakfast with Eggs, Sausage, Fruit, Bagels, Muffins, make your own waffles(the shape of Texas) cereal and more. I'm a stickler for bugs so I quickly inspected all 3 rooms for bugs. NONE! The desk staff (Canyon and Annalyssa) were great and genuinely there to make sure you were satisfied. We were checked in faster than any Disney hotel we were at. The pool is nice but on the smaller side with about 10 - 15 chairs. Very clean. The beach is across the road. Think of the game Frogger to cross it. Not bad once you are used to it. The beach to the left has a bigger sand area to put your blanket cooler etc. Many local BBQs and restaurants. I would highly recommend!

This is without a doubt our favorite hotel on the island!!! Always extremely affordable(except of course on spring break). The rooms are spotless!!! The views are picture perfect from every room. No sand in the car because the beach is literally steps away! The pool is clean and inviting. Wonderful breakfast that is included and parking is included as well. The staff, especially Jake and Canyon are rockstars and will do anything to help improve your stay! Thank you!

We loved our room and the stay was very nice. The front desk staff were very helpful in giving us suggestion's as to what to do during our stay. I was disappointed that we had to lug our bags next door and pay a fee to be transported to the cruise terminal witch wasn't very far at all for them to drive us to.They should have offered this to us free of charge as well as offer door to door service as other known Hotel's do. This was a very cheapy thing to do to their guests.

Hotel was clean, rooms are large with an ocean view, check in was easy and friendly, location is great and somewhat out of all the congestion, easy to park. Overall a good experience and a place I would stay again with my family.

We have stayed at another hotel in Galveston for years. After a stay at this Best Western Plus last month, we thought we had found a new place. However, this time left much to be desired. We had made our reservation for May 12 on February 16, and we are rewards club members. When we arrived (around 5 p.m.), we were assigned a room on the first floor, which has no view. We asked for a room on a higher floor but were told they were sold out. We went to our first-floor room, and the a/c did not work. Plus, the

Great service from start to end of trip. Canyon was great and very professional. The rooms were clean and housekeeping did a great job. We had beautiful views from our balcony of the seawall. Cannot wait to come back for our third visit to this hotel!

I'm going to echo what many others have written. Everything was great, from check in, staff, location, room, pool and check out. I had requested an upper floor room, which we got and the view was awesome.

The hotel was super clean, staff was very friendly, the amenities were good including a laundry center, the location was good, with a nice view of the ocean. the bed was super comfortable. Overall, it was the best hotel stay I've had in a while.

Everything was great from check in to check out. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room was spacious and perfect for a getaway with my boyfriend. Had a great view from room 307. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Quiet and perfect spot! We will definitely be back!

Great location, beautiful views! Close to everything! food and entertainment was all right there. the whole family loved the views. Moody gardens and Schlitterbauhn are literally 3 Minutes away. All the attraction are just down the road.

We were in Galveston for a couple days on the tail end to our trip to Houston. Being our first time to Galveston we didn't know hotels so we booked what we thought would be good, it was inexpensive but the name familiar...NOT GOOD! We checkes out and came to Best Western Suites and WE WERE NOT disappointed!!! The beds were so comfortable, the staff amazing, hotel super clean and every room is Ocean front! Thank you it was an amazing stay!

My family loved our 1 night stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and you could tell they went above and beyond. My kids were given little gift bags with chips inside them and that completely made their night, it was so sweet! The room was HUGE!! We couldn't believe how big it was and even the balcony seemed bigger than we imagined. Hotel was spotless. We loved our view from the balcony, we actually watched a pack of dolphins swim around in the morning and it was the highlight of our trip. We went on a cruise and parked/rode the shuttle next door at the other Best Western for $50, what a great deal! I wish beach access was easier than crossing lanes of traffic but no matter where you stay in Galveston that is just how it is. I am definitely going to stay here again and refer all my friends and family to do the same!

This hotel is outstanding, the staff is great the hotel is away from the main crowd of people, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful, parking is so easy and the view is awesome. We sat on the balcony for hours just taking in the view.

Very clean, great size room and balcony over looking beach across the street. Front desk staff very polite and helpful. One of the best comp. breakfast we have ever had in a spacious room with lots of tables and not at all crowded. great value for the price.

I went down with my son for the Tall Ship festival and decided to try this hotel. I typically stay at Hiltons, but felt like a change. What a surprise! From the moment we arrived until we departed two days later, the service was impeccable and more importantly, so kind to my son, who has autism. Everybody was so friendly, even if they has to hear him say "Hi!" a hundred times, they said hi back, The room was immaculate and the balcony opened up to look over the water. I don't understand the negative comments I have read. The breakfast was bountiful and fresh. If you didn't care for the coffee you made in the room, you could scoot downstairs and get a fresh good cup 24/7. Location was good, although you can't really swim directly across the street as there are only rocks there. But no matter, it is a great place.

After a nice drive down from Dallas to Galveston. We were ready to eat then relax before leaving the next day on a seven day cruise. No complaints at all the rooms were nice and clean. The property looked to be in great shape. We had a very good nights sleep. And in the morning a good breakfast. This hotel does offer cruise ship parking. Also if you are lucky to get a southern facing room you will be looking at the gulf from your Balcony.

Nice place to stay huge rooms, friendly service staff very helpful, very clean rooms. I've stayed here four times and I'll continue using BWP when I'm in Galveston Tx. the quality, value friendly service is worth the price.

We have no complaints! Very pleased with our stay here. The facility was spotless,the rooms are very spacious and have an ocean front balcony. Free breakfast. Coffee and Tea in the lobby around the clock. The staff was wonderful. Thank you,to the greatest desk clerk ever,Canyon went above and beyond with customer service. She guided us to the best locations to visit,sites to see and some of the best food we have ever eaten! My husband and I actually made it a point to stop and chat with her every chance we got,she was a pleasure to see each day. Thanks Canyon for making our first visit to Galveston Island a great memory!

Chose this location for the ocean view from balconies and we we're not disappointed. Bed location in room was positioned where you can not see the water from the bed which is a disappointment. Pool larger than some and a nice hot tub. Break ok nothing great. Scrambled eggs heat and serve sausage. Biscuits but pretty sad thick gravy. Fruit was oranges and apples. But make you own waffles a plus and juice so not bad. A good value for area but no beach on this part of seawall.

Let me share the plusses. Every room is a view of the gulf. The higher the floor the better. Rooms ending in 01, 02, 22, or 23 are at the end of the halls and quieter. Comfortable beds. Soft, absorbent bath linens. Hardwood floors. Hot breakfast. Bathroom stayed fog free during a shower, good ventilation. Balcony. Friendly desk staff.

I booked a room on our return from our cruise at the Best Western down from Best Western Plus because I was told we cold do early check in - not true, I was told our room would not be available til 400om and it was only noon, the front desk clerk (female with blue hair) was very rude and did not help out at all. I went down to the Best Western Plus and was assisted by the front desk clerk name Canyon, she was so very helpful and was able to get us into a room immediately without incident while apologizing for the actions of the desk clerk, sad. Her kindness and ability to go above and beyond did not go unnoticed. Our room was very nice, clean and we were able to relax after a week at sea. Thank you Canyon for being a fantastic desk clerk, more places need people like you..... Sherry Goldstein

We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus on the seawall in Galveston. The employees, from the front desk to the cleaning staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will be coming back to this particular hotel.

Everything was super! The staff was so friendly. This is one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to. They were constantly cleaning all areas including the parking lot. This place is on the ball. This hotel is 2 years old and I'm sure it's seen quite a few customers but it looks like it was just recently opened. I believe every room has a straight on view from their balcony of the ocean.

The property is very good, from comfortable clean sheets to good quality breakfast to room cleanliness. The rate was a little high ($199 for Spring Break Saturday Night) and the ppl above us were stomping on the floor and moving furniture around all night! When we pay $200 for a room and "getaway" we would like to SLEEP as well and cannot do that with out-of-control guests! The Hotel was very helpful though and called them to tell them to quiet down and also sent security up to make them quiet down. They would just start back up again at all hours of the night. Awesome Hotel, however, COME UP WITH A STRICT POLICY ABOUT AFTER-HOURS NOISE AND DISRUPTIONS! Kids or not, rules need to be in place to accommodate all the other guests. Beautiful view of the ocean from balcony.

Several Issues with this one: 1) Dirty towel & trash left in hallways that were never vacuumed in the 4 days I stayed. 2) Room floor dirty, not swept or mopped 3) Breakfast at 8am, only 1 waffle machine working and people waiting. Day 2 @ 6:30am - no eggs 4) Staff not around for questions, kept in back rooms didn't want to hear complaints 5) Coffee not fresh brewed, liquid concentrate...awful tasting 6) No internet connection unless you are on their computers. Not sure why wifi couldn't be accessed. Employee shrugged shoulders and pointed to their computers 7) Staff inter-mingling with boyfriends rather than attending guest needs or working 8) Hot water was not hot, just warm in shower then after 10mins went to scalding. Not consistent 9) Main excuse for all the issues...its "spring break" and we're overwhelmed. 10) Wakeup call requested for 7:30, never met and was late for appointment Worst excuse, own and accept your faults and try to better the situation rather than ignore it I came out for a tour to possible invest in timeshare. With all the troubles I'm having at this particular hotel I really don't this EVER happening. Maybe Holiday Inn Express should NOT use this hotel when they are trying to sell their properties.

My wife & I recently had the opportunity to stay at this Best Western Plus, for a business & Leisure trip rolled into one. We were welcomed so well by the staff & during our stay we found them to be knowledgeable of the area, streets, dinning places, & attractions available. We were treated very well & were always greeted warmly & friendly. The staff are great! They were more than helpful & very accommodating to our every need. We couldn't be more happier & will stay here again on our next venture to Galveston. The Hotel is right on the Seawall Blvd & close to everything. It was a very restful & enjoyable stay thanks to the entire staff.

Nice and clean hotel. We were impress with the room smelling fresh and clean when we walked into our room. Very nice ocean view from our private balcony. We were not happy about the low water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was okay. Nice spacious breakfast room. Staff was nice. within walking distance from hotel to a variety of restaurants. slight street noise early in the morning. Rooms are facing the street. The workout facility was nice. Overall nice stay. We would return.

We stayed in a very nice room at a reasonable price point. Two queen size beds and a sofa bed made this an enjoyable stay for the family. We will stay at this hotel again next time we are in Galveston.

From the moment I walked in the door, very long. All of the rooms to go. Good location, good breakfast, good service and people. Very nice room very updated. Unfortunately the pool was not working of the time we were there. But it looks like it would've been very nice for the hot tub also. They have snacks and drinks available at the front desk and free coffee tea it's up to all day long. Highly recommend staying there.

The view is perfect and a balcony with every room to enjoy it. Right on the seawall. The room was clean and spacious. Every member of the staff we met was very friendly and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in this hotel twice on our trip around Texas. It is situated right across the road from the Gulf of Mexico on the eastern end of the Seawall. Each room has a balcony and we spent quite a bit of time just watching the view. The rooms was spotlessly clean with a large bed, sofa, work desk and big TV. It had a great bathroom with a large shower. During our first stay, Hurricane Harvey hit, but we were well looked after and felt perfectly safe. We returned approx 1.5 weeks later for another 5 days after they'd cleaned up after the Hurricane and it was good as new. It was a lovely pool and hot tub. Breakfast is the usual and was fine. The staff are very friendly and gave us lots of info about the local area and places to visit. The price increased considerably during the weekend, but this is true for the whole of Galveston. We will be back on our next trip to Texas.

Beautiful new hotel! When we entered the hotel, we were so happy to see a beverage table right by the door to welcome guests. Hot breakfast is available in the morning in a big room. Coffee and tea are good. We love that all the rooms face the ocean and the view was stunning. We were on the third floor and the hallways have windows which made the hotel naturally bright. Beds were really comfortable. No carpet is in room. This hotel is brightly lit at night outside the building which we love for safety reasons.. We did hear traffic noise at night & perhaps sound of ocean waves. Not close to shops & food so you do need to drive a few minutes to get to places.

Great stay - right on the seawall and every room with an ocean view and balcony. Friendly staff, nice rooms, building seems new. Not many restaurants within walking distance but several available with a short drive, Close to fishing pier. Hot breakfast.

Anna is the best!!! She help me to get in last minute due to a hotel mess up. I booked 4 rooms and they were all suites with a gulf water view. The rooms were roomy, clean and updated with laminate flooring. Each room had a balcony with chair that overlooked the Gulf. It was fabaulous. I was also able to get shuttle service to and from the port from their sister hotel almost 1 hotel down. I'm a travel agent and will certainly book my clients here in the furture.

Spent the night here before a cruise. Great view of the ocean. All rooms face the ocean and have balconies. Very nice rooms. Nice breakfast selection and room. About 15-20 minutes from Port of Galveston.

This was a great stay for us other than the weather. Beautiful hotel, well maintained, great location and great staff. We will stay here again when in this area. The only problem was extremely cold weather and could not enjoy the balcony and amazing view of the beach. The King Suite was great room and a comfortable bed.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The room also had a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico which we didn't expect. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. We would stay here again.

We stayed one night at this hotel over the holidays. We booked a King Suite. The room was large, clean and had a great view of the gulf.We liked that the floors were hard surface and not nasty carpet you usually find in hotels. The bathroom was also spacious, clean and we liked the updated decor. The only thing we did not like about the room was that the lights in front of the hotel were so bright we had to move the chairs on the balcony off to the side and behind a partial wall in order to see any of the gulf. In the daytime the view is great! We slept in and missed the breakfast, but I went down to find a cup of coffee and the breakfast area was quite large and inviting. The hotel was quiet when we were there, but it was also a Friday night in the winter (12/29) so I do not know what it would be like on weekends or in the summer. We would recommend this hotel to others and will definitely be the first place I look into next time we stay in Galveston.

I chose this hotel for its price and location. The weather was cold, wet, and windy so we did not end up walking on the beach, but you could get there very easily. The Best Western Plus a little further away on the sea wall has a better view, but it also has a higher price tag.

Great view, comfortable rooms, easy check in. This will definitely be my new go to hotel when visiting Galvastan. They were very accommodating when I didn't have a reservation. Super easy check out and breakfast was pretty good

We stayed for two nights over Christmas with our two sons. Very comfortable, and we liked going to the balcony to look out, some days were 70 degrees. It is just a short distance to many restaurants there.

over all the Hotel was clean and all the staff was were very friendly and nice, the Hotel is new and clean, if you like to eat good breakfast and good coffee, this is the wrong place, we have to travel 25-30min to find a decent place for the breakfast!

I would recommend this BW Plus at the Seawall in Galveston. The view of the gulf from the bedroom was more than I expected. The hotel looks modern and the rooms were very good for the price paid. One small problem was the quality of the beds/mattress, I think an upgrade is needed but overall my wife and I enjoyed our stay.

Some positives and negatives about this hotel. We traveled and arrived here on Christmas Day. Weather was a bit of rain, windy and cold. We were happy with a fast and easy check in (I think his name was Nicholas at the front desk. Very nice,) I told him I was going to take my kids to Rainforest Cafe he said the hotel had coupon for a free appetizer or free kids meal unfortunately he never gave me the coupon. When we arrived to our room it was COLD! We closed the vents and cranked up the heat. After 20 minutes we realized our room had NO HEAT!! We were freezing the whole night and I traveled with a 4 year old and an 8 month old. HIGHLY disappointed my kids were freezing and I had to sleep fully clothed with my jacket on. I bet their A/C doesn't even fully work in the summer. IDK but breakfast was lackluster but its free so I guess you cant complain. The rooms are SPACIOUS, CLEAN and NICE! The balcony view is great as well.

Excellent place to stay at. Rooms are very clean and nice decor. The wait staff is courteous, caring, professional and make you feel very welcomed. Such a friendly atmosphere. They care about their guest and treat them with respect....great hospitality.

overall the property is pretty nice, situated on the water front, they do however, need to test the new rooms to ensure things are in working order, the first room had no heat and when they swapped the room out, the phone in the second room didn't work

Unresponsive desk staff did not warn about a total planned power outage. Ugly decor, poor quality breakfast items, no water pressure in shower. Would not recommend this hotel for even three days which was the length of my stay.

Strongly recommend; very friendly staff especially Anna & Canyon. This hotel offers all balcony rooms that over look the Gulf of Mexico. Great place to stay if you are cruising out of Galveston. Great early morning breakfast and coffee is available around the clock.

The Best Western Plus chain of hotels is a midscale luxury chain and the Galveston Suites is in line with the chain. Nice big rooms, all on the waterfront, with private balconies overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and Seawall Blvd. Nice pool area, breakfast area, and lobby area. Beach area right across the street. Although on the less traveled West end of Galveston Island, it is only minutes away from most tourist areas of the island.

Overnight stay , great location, close to port for a cruise. Beautiful sunrise from your balcony, great view of the gulf. Very clean room ,great free breakfast. Kust down the road from pleasure pier. Staff friendly and fast.

Food is good, front desk is great. Rooms nice and clean. Beautiful view of the water. We always stay here when we come to Galveston. They also give great group rates. I like that the elevators are right by the doors.

Wonderful experience. Canyon at the front desk was wonderful. Provided abundance of information. Very friendly. Just loved her. Full service breakfast,very nice room. Enjoyed watching the ocean from our balcony.

The Best Western Plus Galveston Suites was the perfect landing spot for our group of 50 fun and active seniors on our annual Mystery Trip. I can't say enough about the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The hotel was clean and the balconies overlooking the Gulf was a very pleasant surprise. We will definitely be staying there on return trips.

The hotel was across the street from the gulf. The view perfect. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. They say they are new since 2016, but even now age is beginning to show. Some maintenance on everyday items that get wear and tear would help keep up with the overall appearance. Breakfast was just "okay." Hard to get to the waffle irons! Better upkeep of the breakfast area during the allotted times would help. No fresh fruit was to be had. Sausage was bland as were the eggs. The staff were friendly and very helpful. No complaints there. Would stay at this hotel again!

My stay was good just wish the internet wifi would have worked for me. The first time I stayed it worked but this past time it would not. I am not sure what the problem was but I made due. The rest of the stay was just fine clean rooms and quiet you don't hear much noise from the other rooms around that's nice you can sleep uninterrupted. I will stay here again in the future.

Great location for a pre cruise stay, close to a few restaurants, movie theater, gift shop and miniature golf. A new very clean hotel with very large rooms, though the bathroom could be larger and another chair would be nice. Great pool area and breakfast room. Nice free breakfast and coffee 24/7. The staff at this hotel is fantastic - they go over and beyond to make sure your stay is the best. Canyon and Anna are the best and friendliest front desk people I've run across in a long time. This must be a very well managed hotel because the staff really want to please and care about their jobs!! Highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel with every room, except those on the ground floor, have a balcony that looks over the Gulf. The balconies have enough room to actually sit and enjoy the view. Two down sides are; 1. Fake "wood" floors, though beautiful, causes the noise from the guest above to radiate into my room like a drum. 2. The water pressure was minimal. Water barely flows out of the shower head to rinse off your body.

The hotel and stall was great, the view is breathtaking. It is located away from all the noise and riff raff. Nice to visit events in galveston and come back to a quiet ,clean hotel with an awesome view of the ocean to relax.

Lots of pillows, comfortable bed. plenty of plugs on lamps and on the walls to plug in electrical devices. And breathing equipment, like oxygen and breathing machinery and my aerovest for treatments. Great view from the balcony. Pretty quite except for those who don't think and let their doors slam behind them, especially if your trying to sleep in the next morning.

We had a beautiful view of the Gulf. The room was large and very comfortable. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The hotel is well located for excursions down Seawall Blvd or over to the Strand. We had a very pleasant visit.

Galveston is my happy place and I've stayed at nearly every property along the Seawall. This hotel is the absolute best value hands down! It is literally on the Seawall, not pushed back like the major chains. Your room is literally next to the ocean! Great staff, spacious rooms, free breakfast, the price can not be beat and the views are absolutely perfect and unobstructed! The sunrise and sunset from your private balcony are out of a post card!

My family and I had an overnight stay at this hotel. It was clean and very well appointed. The room was spacious and well decorated. All rooms face the ocean and have ocean view balconies. We enjoyed watching the sunrise over the water. At check in, we were helped to find a better room rate. That was very helpful and we appreciated the kindness and friendliness of the staff.

Favorite part of this hotel is the balcony where you can hear and see the beach. Very relaxing. The hotel is close enough to restaurants and shops, but also has a quieter feel than other hotels on the Seawall. Beds were comfortable.

Best Western Plus caught our attention because of the well lit parking area on the beachfront. Last minute stay was excellent, clean, and friendly. The beds were comfortable and sheets were pristine , smelled very fresh!
