Check in was at 3pm. The fantastic maintenance man was there but he didn't know how to check customers in. It took 2 hours before someone showed up to check us in. No apologies from the front desk person. We complained to the owner and he didn't do anything except offer 1000 points. We did not receive the 1000 points. I called corporate and I was suppose to get a call from the owner. He did not call. Do not expect very much from this Best Western. Very poor management. I would not recommend this hotel.
This BW property in French Lick is the best place to stay, for the best "bang for your buck", in my opinion. It is close enough, but far enough, if you know what I mean. The staff is wonderful and they are concerned about YOUR stay. I would recommend this BW property to everyone visiting French Lick IN
We loved this place and would definitely stay here again. Check In was a breeze and concerns or questions was answered right away. I wish I had paid attention to names. From the front desk housekeeping breakfast Lady and the managers were all nice and friendly and worked hard.
This is a perfect place for a quick getaway with the family. We went to a nearby water park, rode the trolley from French Lick to Baden Springs, found the bowling alley in the historic French Lick Hotel, enjoyed the hotel pool and had many choices for meals. The adults took turns for a fun time at the casino. The Best Western was a good value for the area. (Be sure to use GPS to find it, there's no signs that we saw!)
Great location. Excellent alternative to more expensive resorts. We will definitely be coming back here sometime.
We've stayed at this hotel many times since it was built. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It's clean and well appointed. The rooms are spacious and setup for comfort and convenience. Conveniently located close to downtown and the resort. Good value too and not overpriced. The pool was out of service the night we stayed; however, it's usually clean and inviting. This is always our go-to place when we need somewhere to stay. It will rank even higher on the list once the new electric car chargers are installed for quicker charging as we sleep. We appreciate the staff. They obviously care - it shows in the well kept and clean common areas as well as the rooms. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Great Location. Rooms needs new furnishings, housekeeping poor (furniture not dusted). Great staff. Breakfast ok.
Nice hotel for a couple nights. Comfortable bed, good amenities. Comped breakfast started the day well. Will definitely return next year.
WE have stayed at the French Lick Best Western Plus several times in the past and have always had a good experience. The hotel is updated, the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly. The hotel is convenient to golf course, the casino, and the train.
Clean and comfortable! Staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was fresh and well stocked and staff kept the hot foods full. Waffle maker, sausage, scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins and much more. Plenty of parking and nice lobby. Front desk suggested OHana's for dinner and it was excellent!
This is a newer hotel. It is 3 stories with an elevator. The hotel was very clean. The room had 2 queens and a sitting room with a sofa, chair, and small table. It had a small fridge & microwave. It had the standard breakfast. Waffles and then alternating between ham, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, seasoned potatoes, and eggs. The juice machine was out of order the 3 days we were there. The decaf coffee was out the first day, but the last two days it was replenished. We slept well. I would stay here again.
Great place to stay. We had a great stay along with great service the room was clean and the breakfast offerings were great, I would recommend BW to all of my freinds and family. During our stay housekeeping kept busy keeping the place clean and tidy. The receptionist was on top if her game as well, staying focused on the visitors and getting us checked in and out promptly. Thank you.
My husband and I had a very nice night at this location. Breafast was tasty. Harmonie at check in was wonderful. She helped advise a restaurant and later at the pool she was busy cleaning the windows.
Friendly attentive staff with a clean and comfortable stay. Great fitness room and other amenities. Walking distance to movie theater, the casino, and plenty of dining options. Great for family travel or business travel.
We love staying here when going to Patoka Lake. Our kids get to swim in the evenings after we've spent the day on the boat while we get to relax. Plus they have plenty of places to eat in French lick!
Best Western Plus in French Lick was one of the best hotels we've stayed out. They listened to my request for accommodations with my online registration. They were all very polite and helpful when needed. We have been to many hotels and I'd have to say that this hotel was very clean and pleasant and had the very best continental breakfast made by Connie, she was the best! And I can't forget Debbie she was extra pleasant to us all, Best Western Plus should be very proud of all of there staff. I can't wait to go back to visit there again.
How this hotel has 4.5 stars is beyond me. Where to start....the smell when you walked is not pleasant. The rooms needed big time updating. Late 90s maybe was the last time. The front desk attendant belched while giving us our key..lol...I interrupted her dinner she said. Just felt very uneasy so I checked my spy application...maybe you should too. For 200 a night ...just disappointed.
Our stay at the Best Western was good. A good location if you had a vehicle to get around. Not in walking distance to any thing. The hotel was clean, the room was very nice. Enjoyed breakfast, although the room was a bit loud. Loved the toppings for the waffles. Next time I hope there are tea bags (this was a problem!).
I had a great stay! Everyone was so nice. The front desk clerk, Michelle was nice, and her recommendation for a place to eat was on point. The room was clean, the pool was warm, and we have found our place to stay when visiting French Lick! We will be back!!
The Hotel was great. We were impressed by the cleanliness and size of the rooms. The staff was friendly. Location was fine. It was just a 1 day/night casino trip for my wife and I. The casino hotels wanted $275+ for a Tuesday night. I choose to try staying "off site" to see how it worked... and was very pleased. I only paid about $100, and was very happy with the suite size room. Shower had good water pressure. Only slight diwn size was the breakfast. Eggs tasted very cheap and generic, tried adding salsa to help but the salsa tasted different too. My wife did enjoy the biscuits and gravy though.
Clean, well appointed room for a getaway. A short drive from the casino and eating places plus other sites. Friendly staff. Includes breakfast too. Offerings could have been warmer but service time was winding down ... was probably better if we had gotten up earlier. Comfy stay. Will definitely stay again. Obviously well cared for and staff is helpful and friendly. They keep things neat and know how to provide great service.
One of the cleanest hotels I've been at. Staff was friendly. Beds comfortable. Rooms were large compared to other hotels. Shower was great. Pool was nice but a little cold. Breakfast was free every day but it wasn't the greatest.
Beautiful, clean, friendly staff, and a great value. The breakfast had a great variety to choose from and was kept well stocked and freshened. We will definitely stay here on our next visit. Highly recommend.
Check in was great but the suite was lacking the bedding for the pull-out couch. Breakfast was very good too. I would recommend caution when using the pool. The tile surrounding the pool is slippery and my grandkids had to be extra careful because one of them fell and another kid there slipped and fell while we were there too. Luckily no one got hurt.
Great rooms always very clean, breakfast is always hot, and the hotel is so clean. Staff very nice and helpful. Close to many restaurants, casino, and landmarks. We called ahead and ask to be on the third floor and away from the elevator and that is the room we got. Have a list of nearby restaurants that is helpful.
Great location for visiting French Lick, Indiana. The Scenic Railroad train ride was awesome. Best Western was at an ideal location for visiting all of the interesting local sites. Beautiful area with interesting places to visit.
We were in town for a conference but wanted to enjoy the casino an other attractions. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and personable. I noticed a couple of framed photos in the lobby of former staff members who had passed and was moved that they treated staff like family. They treated their guests the same. Breakfast was included which was a perk - biscuits, gravy, pancakes, eggs, fruit, cereal and yogurt - a hearty start to a morning of hiking. One thing we especially liked was the bathroom set up - towels close to the shower, nice walk-in shower and toilet was separate from the vanity. Overall, great overnight stay.
i checked in today just to discover that my room was not cleaned. i walked into the room to see 2 full trashcans, an unmade bed, trash sitting on the counter, and used shampoo/conditioner bottles on the bathroom floor. it was very clear to me and family that the room had been untouched since the last visitors.
Staff friendly. Hotel seemed new & clean. Breakfast substantial--good quality and lots of options; coffee good. The bed was super comfortable and it was easy to get the room temperature just right. I loved that it was convenient to but set back from the highway so at night it was quiet and dark outside. Quiet inside altho I was there on a night with limited guests. Not a luxury hotel, but comfy bed and pillows and good breakfast. Easy, free parking.
The hotel was clean and the room actually smelt very good as you walked into your room. I have never experienced that before. The breakfast was also very good with lots of variety. Coffee could have been stronger or maybe it was the brand. Room was very comfortable and quiet for sleeping.
Great place. The staff was friendly and the rooms and common areas were clean and well kept. The staff was nice and allowed us to use the conference room as needed for our group while we stayed there. The breakfast was good, nice variety, waffles and good coffee.
For a best western plus we expected much more from this hotel. We were very disappointed. The breakfast was horrible, the first room they assigned us was filthy even though they said they cleaned it. What they served for breakfast was so bad we ate at nearby Denny's and had much better food. The hash browns were burned, the eggs were watery and did not taste like real eggs, the bagels were so small and there was no cream cheese to go with it. There were no knives so that someone could cut the hard sausage. The swimming pool looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks the water was a mirky color. The staff at the hotel smoked right outside the entry doors and I know this is against county and state codes so when you walked into the hotel you could smell smoke. If you had a question in the evening time you had to walk around the hotel and search for someone since there was not an employee at the front desk like there should have been. What if an emergency occurred. This hotel was not up to the Best Western Plus standards we expected and we probably would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.
We've stayed at this Best Western several times, avoiding the exotic pricing of the French Lick resort hotels. This time we came away unimpressed. Breakfast, in particular, was hugely disappointing. The powdered eggs are simply awful. A very nice lady is now dishing out breakfast, presumably keeping grubby hands out of the food. Not a bad idea but portions are pretty small and food definitely isn't up to par. More disturbing was the room cleanliness. We found sticky countertops and sticky substance on the desktop. Housekeeping is done only if you request it. Even with Covid still silently raging on, it's surprising there wasn't deep cleaning between guests. Otherwise this is a nice motel very convenient to French Lick and the surrounding area. It's just time to give things a bit more attention worthy of the "plus" of Best Western Plus".
The rooms are always very well kept, smelling good and comfortable. I slept like a baby. However, the breakfast this time was not up to par. And the ice machine was out on our floor. Things happen. I will absolutely stay here again!
Pro: It's very clean, zero smoking comfortable beds. Friendly desk staff! Shower, soaps Con: Breakfast borderline okay generally had better. Bed sheets not a fan of personally, wife had no issues with them. Need eventually usb charging area installed.
This hotel is highly recommended. We will be returning. The check in and check out were a breeze to complete. The ladies working the desk both days were fantastic. They seemed to actually care! A+++++++++++++++++++
My second visit to this hotel was even more impressive than the first. Since then I have stayed at five major chain hotels in different cities. None were as clean as this. The staff was friendly, the room was quiet, toiletries were exceptional, and the WiFi signal was surprisingly strong while I streamed a ballgame on my tablet. Add to that a terrific location and it is clearly a smart choice.
Don't mess with management. They will try to squeeze you for every $. Talked to management to change date of arrival. Failed to tell me the rate would be $30 more, even though I could have booked it online for same rate. Called later to discuss, attitude was "too bad, so sad". Walls are paper thin, could hear the room next to me getting ready at 6:30 am and the other side watching TV at midnight. Room fan didn't work properly to drown out noise. I'll pass on the over-sympathetic response to the review trying to explain away the issues.
Had a great time in French LIck and Paoli for a baseball/family weekend. Best Western PLUS did a great job for our family and the other team members families. It is a great location for enjoying both French Lick and Paoli IN; as well as Patoka Lake.
The hotel was clean, they provided great customer service and the breakfast was amazing! The location was ideal and the value was exceptional. The staff was friendly, kind and helpful. Very quiet and would definitely stay again!
Had pleasure of spending some time at French Lick hotel was very clean. All the staff that I had chance to interact with were very helpful and sweet. Our room was spacious. Breakfast was good and the heated pool was a plus for my kids.
At the spur of the moment I decided to take my daughter and a friend of hers, my two grandsons and a friend of theirs to a close get a way during Spring Break 2022. My daughter had also recently lost her husband, best friend and soul mate to a tragic death and we were all suffering tremendously. I thought a trip to the Big Splash Adventure Park would give everyone a moment in time to smile or laugh. In my search for near by hotels/motels, Best Western Plus appeared. After a tiring search for the best deal, Best Western won. We couldn't have asked for anything better as far as proximity to the park and the hotel also had an indoor pool and weight room (both on the small side but adequate) for the boys. We chose a room with two queen beds, a living area that had a sofa pull-out bed, and a kitchenette. The room slept six comfortably, unless you like the bed to yourself as I do, therefore, we also took a queen size blow up mattress. The rooms were all larger than I expected, very clean, wifi provided, directv with movie channels included, and over all just an extremely pleasant get away. All this accompanied by a great staff eager to assist you. If you were interested in the staff cleaning your room during your stay, you simply filled out a small request form with the chores you'd like competed, turn it in on time and presto, your request was fulfilled. This was my first trip to French Lick Indiana so I can not compare my stay to any other facility, however, I can highly recommend the Best Western Plus we stayed at with confidence. I hope everyone who stays enjoyes it as much as we did. Also, the roads were excellent (straight, no pot holes etc.) for traveling.
By in large I find Best Western hotels to be just average hotels however I felt that the BW in French Lick was above average. The hotel appears to be fairly new, the staff was very pleasant and personable, the room we had was a two queen bed suite with a sofa bed and very comfortable. The free breakfast the next morning was a good hot breakfast. The eggs and meat were served by an attendant due, I'm sure, to COVID. I had not seen this before.
Wife and I decided to do an overnight getaway and booked this hotel, nice and clean, young lady at the front desk just great! Room was clean and bed comfy, nice and quiet, good place to stay! Stayed on the second floor.
Our entire trip was ruined. I will not be staying with best western ever again. To start things off on this terrible stay, the pillows felt like sacks of rocks. We were unable to get any sleep because the pillows and the mattress were extremely hard. Now I know this isn't a luxurious extravagant hotel, but it was awful. The day shift front desk was extremely unprofessional. Breakfast was not what we had expected but we were fine with that. Before the reservation I called and confirmed pricing for military/state/federal employee rates. It was confirmed by this exact location that I would only be charged $96 plus tax. I was charged $168+ for the room and was not told until it was to late. My card had been ran and there was nothing the clerk could do and at the time the amount was not discussed. I was told I had been given my discount and we went to the room. When I realized, I spoke up and the evening clerk was very kind and apologetic. She gave me the name of the manager to speak to the next morning. The day shift associate (who I will not name) was rude, disrespectful & unwilling to help. Her approach and attitude has made up our minds we will not be back. She said “I'll tell *** (the general manager). If it goes your way great, If not SORRY ‘BOUTCHA.”
Front desk Debbie and breakfast attendant was fantastic. Will stay there again and again They have a full breakfast and the pool is open. We stay there a few times a year. Always an amazing hotel and staff
Very nice hote much nice than most I have stayed in and it's very close to everything in town I would be willing to go back and stay again nice staff clean rooms and over all a great experience and the breakfast was decent
I stayed in a King suite, it was very spacious and very clean. Price was extremely affordable for a family of 6, enough beds, 2 tv's dinning table, multiple couches, big bathroom. It was the perfect ending for our day!
Very clean, newer hotel. The staff were very nice and provided me with everything I needed for the week I was staying there. I travel for business at least once a month and stay in a lot of different hotels. My overall experince at this hotel was very good. Coffee was available in the lobby 24/7 and was fresh every time. A co worker was coming in the next week to finish the project I started. The staff worked with me to ensure the equipment I was using was secure until my co worked arrived. Very good service.
This is a hotel with friendly staff, that is conveniently located to nearby attractions. The breakfast staff work diligently to ensure your meal is satisfying and all your needs are met. Will definitely stay again. Great job!
This is an ideal choice for anyone wanting to be close to the casino and resort (one mile) and nearby businesses and restaurants without the noise and distractions. It is tucked away in a quiet area and offers a full menu of amenities. The room was clean and well-appointed.
This Hotel was great. We didn't get to breakfast, but the rooms we very nice. I loved the modern shower instead of a bathtub. The beds were great. Everything was clean and appealing. Nice and professional staff.
Everything smelled nice and fresh. Check in was pleasant. Bedding was clean and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this hotel. Most best westerns are the pits. Rates on those dumps should be half the price.
As hotels go, this one is fairly nice in appearance and amenities. However two issues did not sit well with me. For one, there was loose stuff and crumbs on the carpet. This makes one wonder, if cleaning crew doesn't vacuum very well, how well do they clean everything else? Second, I had to add a night (Friday) to my stay and the front desk staff made no mention that the rate was more than double!!! The hotel manager only made a slight adjustment.
Two minutes from French Lick Resort & Casino without having to pay the exorbitant price to stay at the resort. Very new and modern motel. Spacious room with microwave, fridge, good AC and very comfortable bed
Good looking property. Friendly staff. Nice room with comfy beds. Great breakfast. Safe area. Free parking. I don't know what else to say except I would recommend this hotel to my friends and associates.
This hotel was like brand new and every person there bent over backwards to help us out! This was an outstanding experience! I will look for Best Western more often to stay at due to this experience!!
Staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful. Room was nice but not the one we originally wanted it was just the two of us so we didn't need 2 beds. It would have been nice since we were celebrating our anniversary if they could have thrown in a little something extra ei flowers,a fruit basket, just a little something to acknowledge us but it was nice I did think it was a little pricey. But considering it was a holiday weekend it was ok. It was clean.
Extremely efficient and nice. Very helpful with places to dine and shop. I plan on going again in August and will stay here for sure. Ladies that served breakfast were extremely nice. Great that they have tea and coffee available 24/7.
Beautiful hotel, exterior and interior. Looks brand new! Less than 1 mile from French Lick Casino and lots of great restaurants and shoppes in “downtown” French Lick. Bed was very comfortable, even the pillows were great! Room was beautiful. Very nice bathroom with walk-in shower. Very, very clean. Less than half price of staying at the Cadino hotel. We will definitely be back!
The best western plus French lick is a super amazing place to stay. We came down from Louisville for a birthday so the kids can go to Big Splash . We calm down every year this is our third year. The kids love swimming at the at the hotel
Immaculate room. Very clean property---you could almost eat off the floor. Very friendly staff. Excellent quiet and convenient location in French Lick, IN. Very comfortable room with great pillows! I always stay at this hotel when I have business in the area.
Traveling with 3 grandkids and had a 2 comfy queen beds plus pull out sofa room. The room was very clean and had enough space for 5 people. The pool was also a decent size for us. The kids (ages 11, 9 & 4) had a great time. The hot breakfast was a great send off to start our day. Close to downtown French Lick and a short drive to Wilstem Ranch and and Marengo Cave.
Weekend prices were quite a jump from weekday prices. Hotel was clean and quiet. The staff were exceptional with requests and needs and were friendly but not overly friendly. Nice facility and would stay again.
Nice stay. It was a bonus that this was a Plus as the room was updated and spacious. Room was clean and hot breakfast was served cafeteria-style. Quick drive to the resort and the center of town. I would definitely stay here again. Very nice, friendly staff at the front desk.
This Best Western is at the top of the many I have stayed at in the past. I highly recommend staying at this hotel if you visit French Lick Indiana. It is very close to all the restaurants and attractions.
The hotel rooms were nice. Breakfast wasgood. The pool hadsome issues. It was so cloudy and didnt seem to be clean. Would definitely need some attention. This was the one thing the kids wanted to enjoy
Very clean, courteous staff, very helpful since it was our first time in the area. Breakfast was good, the room was nice and clean. They offered many amenities, such as a pool, fitness center, laundry room.
Less than 5 minutes from the casino, downtown French Lick and all its attractions! We had a fantastic time all around. Easy to find and get settled in. We were early for check-in but had no trouble getting our room.
Ladies at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. The location was very easy to get find, Hotel was very up to date on decor and very clean. This is a location that will be top on our list when we come back to the area for a Ski trip again.
Impressed with this hotel. Very clean and new. Beds were comfortable. My family of 5 slept very comfortably in the suite. On Saturday night, the indoor pool was very crowded and rowdy. Luckily, I did not pack my children's bathing suits, so it wasn't an option.
The hotel was okay. The issues we had: there was something leaking from ceiling vent and there was a bug in our room upon check in. We were also woken up each morning at 6:30A by someone talking. The walls are extremely thin. I'm not sure if it was someone in a different room or outside.
This is an easy one I have stayed here for my vacation for the past 5 yrs. my first time is exactly, like this last stay this past week. I love it here the entire staff treats me like family and I treat them like family . Helpful omg this staff has worked wonders with some of my request. I just will not stay any were else.
Will be back soon for sure. clean room. Soft sheets. Shower had great water pressure. I travel a lot for work so it's nice to find a nice place to rest even if it's for just one night. Thank you for the quality stay.
This hotel has everything you could want. It's clean modern in good repair and the staff were super friendly. It has breakfast and 20 for our coffee, which we made good use of! We stayed in the queen suite which was awesome and way much better than the local waterpark hotel. Much better choice for us on this trip.
We ended up with an "accessible" room, which was nice since there was a walk in shower. Maybe hotels should think about that in ALL their rooms, since I don't know how many people actually get in a bathtub in a hotel.... Anyway, we were in room 302. Room was clean, well kept, but the mattress needs to be replaced. It was broken down on either side and the middle was lumped up. Once you scooted in a bit it was definitely sleepable, but not their usual mattress! AC worked well, good water pressure in the shower. We had to go down and get clean towels for our first morning there, as they didn't come in to clean/freshen up. Breakfast was good; the usual without the option of waffles. Everything was served, but the employees were very friendly, helpful and kept things moving. Pool was open, but unfortunately no hot tub. Everything was clean.
Was able to check in an hour early, super nice staff. Rooms were clean & big. Bathroom was also clean and has like 200 channels of DirectTV which was odd. Close to everything and quick drive to attractions!
Hotel was very clean and fresh. Room was nice size and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Would recommend as an alternative to pricier resort. You can visit the casino and golf if you want. Would recommend.
I decided it was a good week to take my child on an overnight during this crazy time in the world. I called several times asking questions about the extra precautions they are taking during covid-19 and the staff was more than willing to answer all of my questions. I really did feel reassured that they were going above and beyond. When I arrived at the hotel they got me checked in early. The moment stepping in the front door everything felt clean and sanitized all the way to each detail in my room. After my daughter and I went out for the day we returned with takeout and I realize we had no Cutlery. I called the front desk and even though she was the only one available at the time she was more than happy to bring the cutlery straight to my room door. Everyone we encountered was friendly, everything was clean, and I could not have asked for a better experience.
Our room was cleaned well, and I felt confident staying in this hotel. The housekeeping staff was courteous and supplied us with additional towels, toiletries, etc. for our second night, as they don't enter the room once you arrive. They only return upon your departure. The hot breakfast items were served to us, while all pastries, muffins, bread etc. had been wrapped in plastic and displayed for our selection.
Pleasant and clean room. Nice breakfast. Property is aging but still above average. Pool was warm and plenty of towels available. Good value for the money. All of the staff were professional, friendly and helpful.
My husband and I used to be able to comp a weekend at French Lick Resort. Slowly, we began to lose our comps as more families and conference attendees became willing to pay the crazy prices at the resort. So, we decided to find another place to stay while visiting the area and the Best Western is the absolute BEST place to stay! Not only is the price of a room half of the price of a room at French Lick, but the service is light years better. We were able to check in with no issues (we've had to wait past check-in time at French Lick Resort multiple times) and the amenities were perfect! There is a gentleman who works at the hotel who is also an Uber driver. He was happy to pick us up and drive us down the dark road to French Lick casino. He gave us his card and had us call him when we were ready to return. We had a very comfortable and quiet room where we had an excellent night's sleep. The bathroom was laid out a little odd and seemed quite closed in, but the sink is located outside of the door where the toilet and shower are located so there was plenty of room to get ready! We did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast the following morning, but it was laid out nicely and smelled delicious! Check-out was just as easy as check-in and we appreciated a parking lot that allowed us to park close to the entrance. We will only stay at the Best Western in the future as it is the economical choice ... and one that comes with superb service!
A good place to stay in a small resort town. We've stayed there several times when passing through the area. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Very nice staff. Movie theater within walking distance. Will return.
Clean, great staff, full breakfast, good water pressure, comfy beds, good AC (keep in mind it only cools while you are in the room, so it will not be cool when you enter) 15 minute walk to downtown area. We will be back if in the area again
Very nice and clean hotel. Excellent location to town. Movie theater right next door to property. Great breakfast and late pool hours. Did the elephant encounter at Wilstem. Highly recommended worth every penny. Would definitely stay there again...
This is a very nice clean and quiet place to stay. We were traveling from NY to Colorado and decided to ski at Paoli Peaks...nice small mountain that had just blown snow on their slopes! The hotel staff were cheerful and helpful. We had dinner in town after helpful suggestions from the front desk. We would stay there again if the opportunity arises.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great stay. We did end up swimming in the pool and it was clean and very nice. Breakfast was pretty good. I will stay again if I come back to French lick.
We were in town for a concert. This is a great location and is easy to get into and out of. The desk clerks were always very friendly and welcoming. They were knowledgeable on the surrounding area and offered suggestions for good places to eat. Our room was very clean and well maintained. Everything was in great working order. Continental breakfast was average but it was kept stocked with warm food.
Clean and quiet. Nice room and good service. Close to everything. 200 feet from a small movie theater. If you want to be close to restaurants, the casino and both historic hotels then this is where you want to stay.
Very nice looking hotel. Very clean too. Decent hot breakfast. Could clearly speak to someone with the door closed! Heard everything in the hallway. Could hear a pin drop. Staff was nice. Plenty of towels and a nice little black makeup towel too.
Great place to stay. Nice hot breakfast with lots of choices. Not just a muffin and cold cereal, which they did have as well as oatmeal and sausage. Clean room, helpful, friendly staff. Will be back in the summer.
I stayed for a week because I was in town for a conference. I struggled with my TV turning off every 45 minutes during my stay. I had the staff try to resolve this with the master remote control and that didn't work and then I was told to unplug the TV and DirectTV to reset them and that didn't work. So every 45 minutes my TV powered off and when I turned it back on it was set at a high volume so I had to hurry to lower the volume. If the TV wasn't bolted to the stand it would have been in the parking lot. My bed was comfortable so I had that going for me. Refrigerator was crazy small. I used my cooler. The room was spacious and clean so I had that also. Still left thinking it was one of my worse hotel stays.
The room was beautiful and clean. The staff were very helpful and kind. The continental breakfast was the best we've ever experienced in a hotel. I loved the fact that the room had a sleeper sofa for our smaller children. There were lots of items in the room to make us comfortable and were very helpful.
Our family stayed in French Lick Indiana two days after Thanksgiving and greatly enjoyed the experience. Helping us enjoy the experience was the hotel we stayed at. The place was well kept, had everything we needed and the staff was extremely nice.
We were greeted by a very friendly lady at the desk when we arrived around 10pm. Our room was on the first floor and very close to the lobby which being older we really liked in that it made for an easy in and out with bags. The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable. We were just very pleased with our stay.
We really like this hotel, its clean and everyone we met there was very polite and kind! the rooms are clean and the breakfast in the morning is very good! The hotel and rooms are very clean. This is our 2nd stay at the hotel and we would def come back!
Husband & I stayed in town for a concert. We usually stay at West Baden, but this was a nice change. The faint smell of bleach, sparkling clean reception area, and a friendly face at the front desk made me happy right away. Room was very clean and quiet. Bed was comfy, and appreciated the mini-fridge & microwave for snacks. Breakfast offerings were quite comprehensive: eggs, meats, breads, fruits, waffles, etc. The seating area was standing room only, however, the Gals in charge were keeping the area tidy and food in ready supply... Always with smiles, while chatting with guests. We are going back for Thanksgiving, and already have reservations to stay again.
I had never stayed in a Best Western before. Have stayed at the Comfort Suites and the French Lick Resort prior to the Best Western opening there, but this hotel was just as good and in some ways better. Room was quite large and beds were very comfortable! Price was very reasonable and the breakfast bar was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff had perfect bacon two of my three night stay. When I realized I had forgotten my ice scraper, two employees brought me theirs and even lent me a pair of gloves. Very close to the casino and several restaurants as well as the French Lick museum. About 15 minutes from Patoka Lake and winery. All in all, a very nice stay.
Great location. Fairly new hotel. Nice place to stay if riding the train or exploring the area. Nice breakfast, parking and room. No problems. Plan to stay here again if in the area. Good staff too !!!!
Definitely my hotel of choice always refreshing to stay. This is newer hotel. The staff was great. The breakfast was fine, potatoes were a little hard but overall good food. Eggs, bacon, sausage gravy, toast and fruit...Coffee 24 hrs.
Clean hotel, easy access to highway. Friendly staff and reasonable rates. Just stayed for one night passing through. Seems like Best Western hotels have done a lot of remodeling in the last few years. Everything looks new here.
We stayed 1 night here in an accessible suite. the room was very nice and conformable they have a nice free breakfast as well. I travel most often with my mom who is in her late 80's. this hotel like many others seems to not build their overall layout understanding what and where accessible rooms should be located. Our room was as far away from the elevator as you could get. so walking the long hall was a challenge for my mom, who does not require a wheel chair but needs an accessible bathroom when we travel. All hotels need to rethink where they locate accessible rooms. Overall a good place to stay and enjoy the area.
This is a quite attractive and well run hotel that is just on the outskirts of town. The service was quite good. I was impressed by the quality of the worksmanship on this property. Somebody must have really cared when it was built. The only very slight down side to the hotel is the fact that the single elevator is offset to one side of the rather long building. It can be quite a hike if you have a room at the far end of the hotel.
Hotel only about 4 years old, very clean and well kept. Area safe and well located. Breakfast was a full breakfast very good the two attendants were super and kept everything full great breakfast. Desk check in was fast and easy. The gentleman that checked us in was very helpful
very clean and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. There was a lot to choose from doughnuts to hot eggs sausage, waffles and taste was great! the rooms were very clean and did not hear other guests.
I would definitely check into staying at more BW Plus properties. Everything about it was top notch. Lobby, sleeping room, staff were five-star quality. Also, I am on the hunt for their pillows. A couple of my friends felt the same way - best pillows!
We stayed again this year (our 2nd in a row) for the Bear Hollow Block Bash (chainsaw carving competition). As last year, the staff were friendly at check in and check out was easy....a receipt under the door. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, even with as many people as they had on Sunday morning! The only negative thing was the milk had soured, but as soon as someone mentioned it, they removed all of it from the fridge. The room was great. Really appreciated the walk in shower instead of having to step over a tub! The room was quiet, we heard nothing from anyone around us. Will definitely stay again next year.
Two couples and a single woman. We all agreed this hotel wad a Great value. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff helpful and very pleasant from arrival to departure. Breakfast ladies did a great job with breakfasts and very cheerful and helpful. Also, the cleaning staff helpful and pleasant. Very nice experience.
In general, this hotel was excellent. The rooms, the fitness facility, and the staff exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect as well. I went there for business, but found the whole experience very relaxing.
Great Hotel - Staff was pleasant, polite and helpful. Entire hotel was clean, clean, clean. Room was comfortable, spacious and pleasantly decorated. Location was very convenient for my purposes (visit family and attend a special event at the French Lick Museum.
We stayed here for a long weekend trip to French Lick IN and it was an excellent choice. It was very clean, quiet and only a couple of minutes drive from the two big hotels and activities. The room had a mini frig., coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer and an ironing board and iron. Highly recommend!
I travel quite a bit for work, and I stay at Best Westerns from time to time, but of ALL the Best Westerns at which I've stayed, this Best Western PLUS in French Lick Indiana is unequivocally, undeniably, and unarguably the Best One of Them All. I've stayed there Every Labor Day Weekend since it was built, a scant three or four years ago, and every time, my lodging experience has been amazing. Just some of the things I love: -Expeditious check in (big props and mad love to Sales Director Isaiah Day) to a room on the first floor, which they know I like, because I have to schlep a lot of gear -Rooms So Clean you would think they boiled them before you checked in -Quality flat-screen televisions equipped with Direct TV, including the Big Ten (B1G) Network, a must have for the first weekend of football season -Superior bathroom amenities: quality soap, high-thread count towels, and a shower with great pressure and a tub with a fast drain If I'm ever in French Lick/West Baden/Paoli Indiana? This is where I'm lodging. I think you should too.
This was by far the best hotel experience my husband and I have had in many years. The people at this hotel are so lovely, kind and helpful. Every staff member greeted you and helped with whatever we needed. The breakfast area was great, the food fresh and well stocked. I would stay here again.
The hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. You wouldn't go wrong staying in this facility. The breakfast had several options - all excellently prepared! It is located near the local shops and the casino.
My husband and I attend the Gary Allen concert in French Lick IN. We stayed at the Best Western on Saturday. The decor is modern and fresh. Everything was very clean and orderly. Shannon in housekeeping went out of her way to make conversation, inquire if we needed anything and how our stay was.
+JMJ+ This is a lovely, clean, and quiet hotel just right when you are visiting French Lick or West Baden Springs. The price was good because I also used a gift certificate from a Best Western promotion. The grounds are very beautiful and welcoming-especially the lovely benches right in the front to greet you. Staff was very good and we had a enjoyable visit. Check in and out were well handled by Denise and Donna! Breakfast was good especially the fresh fruit bowl. Nice variety but a little fresh baked something might help. The chocolate milk is a nice touch also!
Isaiah promptly completed a group outing contract and everyone from front desk to breakfast workers to environmental services were extremely friendly & helpful. They were gracious with our older relatives and mindful of their needs. The front desk gal was helpful with a reunion photo in the lobby and another guy helped with supplies in the meeting room.(sorry I forgot names) It's close enough to all that French Lick has to offer...but out of the way for quiet surroundings. Would stay here again
We stayed at this hotel because we were in French Lick for a concert. Check-in was quick and easy. Overall the room was clean. The only problem was with the shower. There was something that looked like mold in the corners of the shower. All other parts of the room and hotel were clean. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and had the normal hotel breakfast items - scrambled eggs, sausage links, breakfast potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, waffle station, danish, muffins, coffee, milk and juices. If I am in French Lick in the future, I will stay here again!
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was for the price. Our bed was comfortable, the bathroom and shower were great, and the room was very clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was also very good with several choices from cereal & yogurt to hot breakfast items such as eggs, bacon, sausage patties, oatmeal, and waffles you make from their waffle iron. All of the food was fresh and not frozen like I've seen from other hotels.
This hotel was a great choice. We stayed during a holiday so the place was busy but we had no issues with service. Great breakfast in the AM started our day to the lake! Nice staff, friendly. We will be back. Great parking for truck with boats!
We had a wonderful weekend in French Lick, In., BW motel. The accommodations were great. The staff was very friendly , caring and helpful. I would return to this motel any time and would recommend it for others.
Close to all the attractions, beautiful, clean with very nice guest service. Much more affordable than the resorts. Our suite was clean and large. Very quiet and pleasant room. My friends and I enjoy visiting French Lick and we will definitely stay at this location again.
you want a new beautiful clean motel in French lick with great accommodations and close to town buisnesses....the best western in french lick is the best. the girls at the front were helpful and sweet giving us recommendations to eat at.. the pool was clean and big enough to play... just breakfast was your standard continental. everything else was superb.
The Best Western Plus at French Lick was a beautiful establishment in a convenient location close to the attractions, including a theater next door, which we went to that night. Our room was very clean and included a kitchenette and living room, which we didn't expect, but was helpful to our stay. If I had it to do over, I may have requested a room further from the stairs due to a little extra noise, but it wasn't overly bothersome. There was a leak stain on the ceiling above the shower that could be taken care of, but that was the only unsightly thing about the room. The breakfast was good. We had hoped for biscuits and gravy, but there was sausage and scrambled eggs, waffles, fruit, oatmeal with several things to add to it. An egg casserole wasn't hot enough, but there was a pretty good assortment. The breakfast buffet was claustrophobic to me. It went to a corner where I felt trapped when people kept moving in without letting us get out. Tables seemed too close to the corner. Over all, I was very happy with our stay, just these few things would have made it superb.
This was without a doubt the very BEST of Best Western properties!! From the pleasant welcoming check in experience, immaculate spacious guest room, cheerful housekeeping while leaving, the first Best Western in years that I didn't want to leave! This would, by every standard, make this property one that corporate should use as the standard for which all other properties must live up to be considered a Best Western Property!! I travel 5-6 months of the year on business, I was sincerely and truly impressed! Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!
It was clean .pool was clean and warm . Breakfast wonderful. Needed new blankets.old pilled thick blankets in clean sheet was not no thinner blanket around. Hotel staff very pleasant and I loved all the options for breakfast eggs potatoes bacon waffles with fruit toppings or syrup.danish cereal yogurt cereal all in working order and stocked.
Wonderful stay. The staff was awesome. The room and the whole hotel was exceptionally nice. We stay here every time we are in this area. Great place. Close to everything one needs to do in French Lick. Movie theater right next door.
Front desk staff were exceptional as well as the ladies handling the breakfast. The breakfast food was very good and the area was very clean. Also the pictures online does not do any justice to the rooms nor the hotel itself. Everything was very clean and still look new.
We took a family trip over the weekend to French Lick and stayed at this facility. The facility as a whole was well maintained. The best part was ALL staff that we encountered acted as if they lived there and they were welcoming us into their home! I have never stayed anywhere and had such great customer service. From guest services to breakfast prep to house keeping.... I mean everyone valued their jobs and it showed. Best western French Lick, you should be extremely proud of your staff!
The room was typical of any hotel room and the hotel looked very good and clean. However, after being in my room a short time, I noticed ants on the window sill and all around the heat/air unit below the window sill. In addition, there was dried urine all over the bathroom floor (which then makes me wonder what all is on the carpet - thank goodness for my slippers!). I covered the bathroom floor with towels as I arrived late and had already unpacked. If I had arrived earlier, I would have asked for a different room - especially one where the floor had been mopped in the bathroom! Yuck!
Very nice. Close proximity to the French Lich casino. shuttle service available so you do not have to drive. Mabny nice eating places in French Lich. Three great golf courses within minutes of hotel. Zip line close by
Our stay here was excellent! They have Great staff who always had a smile, very clean hotel, relaxing environment and accommodating services. We will stay there again on our next trip to French Lick. One of the best stays at a hotel we have had.
We have stayed here many times, and it has always been very good stays. The beds are very comfortable, and the nice shower heads make taking a shower very pleasant. The front desk is always courteous and very helpful. They can recommend almost anything you might need. French Lick has a lot of offer, and this hotel is right in the middle of things. Their morning breakfasts are very good, and always fresh.
The staff was very helpful and friendly, with a nice hometown feel. The room was clean and well maintained. The location was close to the casino and the local movie theater was within walking distance. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.
We meandered in. Front desk man was great and very helpful. Our room is a king bed and large room . I love that our bed faces the window and not on a side wall like they usually are. Very quiet, didn't hear another room or people. Fitness area had new, clean equipment.
Check in was very quick, lady at front desk very friendly and helpful, asked questions was not in a rush to get us through, informed us of great places in the area to visit and to eat, great breakfast just over all great hotel, great staff
Best Western Hotels have become my go to place this last year. They're reasonably priced, clean, and usually locally owned. They feature a decent breakfast, clean rooms with a dorm fridge and microwave. Everything one needs for vacationing.
This is a good hotel with friendly service and access to the surrounding towns. It is clean and reasonably priced, and everything works. The front desk staff is very helpful. The breakfast hostess is really nice and makes you feel at home, and it is the service people who make this hotel what it is - a cut above the typical mid-market business hotel.
The best Western Plus in French Lick, IN is a quality hotel managed by an accommodating staff.I have stayed there both in the busy season and the winter months. The service is good regardless of the number of people staying there.
I came with a group. Our first hotel fell thru and we needed a place to stay. BW was quick to book us over the phone rooms was clean and welcoming. My husband accidentally left is travel ring (we dont travel with our real rings, just the simple rubber ones) by the indoor pool and he didnt realize until we were out to lunch, he immediately called the desk and to his surprise, they already had it waiting for him when he got back. That truly set this hotel apart from any others we have stayed at. We are glad our plans fell thru because it was an enjoyable experience.
The hotel is a newer hotel and very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a little overpriced compared to the other hotel in the area. Their breakfast is good and they had my favorite which is biscuits and gravy. It is close to the French Lick Casino. I would suggest they have a scale in the fitness center so people can weigh themselves. When traveling it's nice to monitor your weight and if you are in the fitness center it's something most people would care about.
Booked last minute, way overpriced. Not impressed with room set up. The bed should have been facing the tv. No bathtub. Not a variety for breakfast. Vending machines on third floor are drinks only, actual vending is at front desk. They should offer transportation to casino.
The room was spotless, great amenities and toiletries and the bed was very comfortable. This was a good value for my money and will definitely return. The front desk was SUPER helpful and friendly as was the breakfast matron. The room was quiet and the heating and cooling was responsive. Nice!
This hotel is almost 4yrs old. It is about 1/4 mile down the road from the main attractions in French Lick, IN. It is an excellent hotel. The room was very nice & still looked modern. The room we had had a walk in shower & very comfy king bed. The pool was an indoor heated pool. It was actually very warm. Most say they are heated, but are still usually cooler from my experiences. The staff was very friendly & it was a clean place. Had a great time.
Staff was professional and very helpful. The hot breakfast is delicious and offers a good variety. Property was very clean, indoors and outdoors. Location is ideal for visitors to French Lick and is very close to both hotels as well as many local food options.
We felt our stay was a great value, the rooms were very clean, we had very comfortable beds, it included a good breakfast, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our large suite. We would definitely recommend this Best Western.
Although French Lick is a resort town, and we didn't stay in a resort, we were treated very well and had a beautiful place to stay. Check-in was pleasant and quick. Our room was clean, comfy and had everything we needed. We didn't get a chance to swim in the pool, but the breakfast had a lot of options for the vegans in our group. There was soy milk in the cooler! Thank you.
We stayed here with our family for one night recently and loved it. The suite was perfect for grandparents, teen grandchildren and their Mom. Very clean, quiet, and reasonably priced for the area. It is conveniently located for visiting the French Lick Hotel, casino and West Baden Hotel. We did the giraffe encounter at Wilstem Ranch and enjoyed it. The teens enjoyed the indoor karting which is nearby also.
Excellent venue; very clean and up to date facilities. Noteworthy staff, all with pleasant manners and attitudes, starting at front desk and shown by all other staff members as well. The rest of this review is filler to reach trip advisor's minimum 200+ minimum letter/character review content. Really, my first two words convey all that is necessary.
We have stayed here several times & I must say I always recommend it to our friends. The staff is so friendly & act like they genuinely like their jobs. This is our go-to hotel when we come to southern Indiana.
Very clean & comfortable hotel. Breakfast was very good. Staff very friendly, courteous & helpful. We have stayed in this hotel before & will return in the future.Location to town was great, just a few minutes drive. Beautiful area!
We had a great time at French Lick the hotel was great.Everything is close to the hotel easy to get around. The pool water was warm and clean nice room very quiet. breakfast was good a very nice selection of food.
Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and had a very nice stay. Will definetly stay there again. enjoyed heated pool, good breakfast, and very nice staff. clean and close to everthing this quaint town has to offer.
Nice facility with many ammenities and close to all the attractions in the area. Staff was very friendly and made recommendations regarding restaurants and places to visit while in the area. Location was great. the only down side was it seems a little expensive.
Property is in a good spot to get to downtown French Lick and all that it has to offer, like a few minutes drive. The hotel and rooms are are nice and clean. The staff was all very friendly and helpful. There is free breakfast in the morning that is decent enough. I didnt care for the coffee as I found it a little week. The only real complaint was that the internet was a bit slow. I definitely recommend and would stay again.
Our two day stay at the Best Western was great! The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast staff served warm pastries to our table. The rooms were clean and bed was comfortable. For the area, I would DEFINITELY say it is the BEST bargain around!
The Best Western Plus was very comfortable for my wife and I and two grandchildren. Very convenient to the Wilstem Ranch and the resorts in French Lick. French Lick, West Baden and Paoli are surprisingly quiet and lacks good mid-range restaurants.
Very nice hotel. Close to everything in town. Clean, Nice big rooms. Good view. Friendly staff. Plenty of places to park. Breakfast included with stay, but need better tasting coffee. I would stay here again.
Put 2 groups of my family here for 3 days and each group liked the hotel and plan on returning! Rooms were clean and laundry room used often. Longer breakfast times on Sunday were appreciated! Thank you for helping make our vacation a success!
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Plus for a romantic getaway. We arrived on Wednesday and checked out on Friday. We had a very nice time. Our room was spacious, the executive king. King bed with a desk, chair and ottoman, large tv and a wonderful shower! The bed was so comfortable! The shower was clean and very spacious. The free breakfast was the best free hotel breakfast I have ever had. My husband slept in on Thursday so I just took him up a plate and on Friday he said the same thing, it was by far the best breakfast from a hotel he had ever had. The options for Thursday were biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, boiled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, muffins and pastries, cereal, yogurt, apples bananas and melon. Friday it was an omelette, bacon, pancakes, French toast, boiled eggs, oatmeal, waffles, muffins and pastries, cereal, yogurt, apples bananas and melon, with juice coffee and milk to drink, AMAZING! The little shampoo and conditioner smelled amazing! and my hair felt great! The pool wasn't huge but it was heated and clean. we had a very nice time and we will definitely be back. All the staff was so very nice! also the view was great! It overlooked the town and a small creek! The location was great it was just minutes from everything that we wanted to see, the casino, bliss spa, bear hallow wood carving, and all restaurants!
This Best Western plus hotel is very clean and has good amenities. Pool area, breakfast, vending, in room WiFi & staff are 1st class. Not walking distance to anything, but the hotel quality made up for that.
loved the best western, would do again in a heart beat..great free breakfast, great pool, large beds. snack bar, internet.. loved it.. handy to town. my wife and grand son had a brooms were clean, beds were comfotrable, bedding was excellant....tv channels were plentiful, we all three were on the internet.. good hot water, plenty of towels..
This hotel was located right on the edge of town. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean with modern decor. The hot breakfast was delicious and the breakfast area was very tidy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Family of four-had 2 queen bed suite w/fold out sofa-bed. Beds comfy, room clean, TV could stand to be little larger for room that size. Extra pillow and blankets in closet were nice-didnt have to request them. Refrig didnt get very cold even after adjusting temp. AC worked good-and not loud. Pool was nice. Breakfast was marginal.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel over the weekend while in town visiting his grandma and friends and it is an excellent hotel. The staff at check in and check out were really nice and friendly. Even when I asked some questions at check in the staff never seemed like I was bothering them. The breakfast is really good too. They have several options for options from Eggs, sausage, cereal, yogurt, and you can even make a Best Western branded waffle! :)
My husband and I enjoyed a Saturday-night stay and had no problems. The hotel seemed relatively new, was very clean, had excellent staff, and a superb breakfast. The breakfast ladies were super attentive and kept everything available up until the last minute of the serving time. Internet was very good. Room was large with excellent bedding. The price was rather expensive for a Saturday night. For the one night, we paid about $175 total, even using a discount code. Wish the weekend rate was closer to the reasonable weekday rates. Location on highway was not near anything except a movie theater. Shuttle service was unavailable to the casino which was .6 miles away. A car was necessary since it was not safe to walk directly on the highway leading to the casino.
Best Western was new, rooms were great and spacious - Breakfast was fantastic. It's very close to French Lick hotels, casino and the Trolley will take you to all the amenities.... so you can enjoy French Lick for a cheaper price and very nice accommodations.
out of the downtown, but within a short drive, rooms are clean and large, above average breakfast, watch the rates on weekends, we staid on a weekday and price was almost half of the weekend, one of the best BW
This hotel was very clean. The room was large and inviting. The shower was awesome with glass doors. The breakfast was really good and the staff kept it full. Location was good straight drive to the Casino. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
This hotel is super convenient to local attractions. It's clean and quiet. The breakfast was sufficient and having coffee available all the time is nice touch. We had a nice view from our room. I also love the cleaned remotecontrol!
First time visit to French Lick. We came to the area as a short get away for a couple of nights and to hit the wineries and casino. Very glad we chose to stay here and I highly recommended it for you. Nice big rooms and modern bathrooms. Good price also. Free breakfast was probably our biggest disappointment, but hey, it was included in cost of the room.
We took our grandsons to French Lick and had a great experience at the Best Western. They enjoyed the pool and especially the breakfast. The lady in charge of breakfast and her husband went above and beyond in making sure the boys had a great time.
This hotel is very new. We had absolutely no complaints. The hotel was in a convenient quiet location. The rooms were clean and spacious and the beds were excellent. The breakfast that is included is above and beyond most at hotels. I would definitely stay here again.
This was a last minute trip for me & my husband. The hotel inside and out was very clean. Looks fairly new. The staff has been very friendly. The breakfast was hot and fresh. This may have been because we were there during the week. I would recommend this hotel.
I arrived back home for my grandmothers funeral around 4am and needed a cheap room until 8am, just to sleep and go to family! The clerk on duty was polite but charged $162 + taxes for that short of time! Room was great, clean but too costly for 4 hours! I should have just slept in my rental car!
Paul from front desk was super nice & very helpful. Our room was very large & updated. The lady running the continental breakfast was also very nice. We were very impressed with the hotel & would come back.
My family stayed here for a weekend vacation and would strongly recommend this as a place to feel at home. The staff is super and took extremely great care of us. We were upgraded to a family suite when out TV didn't work and the breakfast ladies are sooo very friendly. Give it a try when you are near!
Everything here was great. We booked suites and were impressed by the cleanliness, comfort, and atmosphere. Each room had a microwave and fridge. The service was friendly. The pool is small but nice. The common areas were clean and comfortable.
Their was a question about our room rate. My wife booked 2 weeks early. Booking May 31 to June 1 check out June 2nd. They told her $98 for Thursday and $ 170 for Friday. So I called and them not knowing who I was asked for the room rates for June 1st which is a Friday and they told me $134. I said that is strange they told my wife $170. They said it was a rate change. I said I was being scammed. I checked the room rates for holidays in the near future and they were not even this high. They told me to cancel and resubmit and they would give me a lower rate. Really. Not happy at all . Be going here when the hotel was new and have never had an issue till now. We were able to get a lower room rate but that is not the issue here. Also some one before us had unplugged the fridge and when my wife opened the fridge door water went all over the carpet in which my wife had to soak up with a towel in which later it began to smell. Not real sure if we will be staying here again. Might check out Comfort Sweet up the road.
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights for the same price as one night at either of the French Lick or West Baden resort hotels. Just minutes away from everything so it was a great deal. Beyond that we were very impressed by what we got for our money. Lots of parking, modern looking lobby and rooms, nice breakfast area, and friendly staff. Let me go into a bit more detail. We were on the first floor and our room was big. It had a king bed (I think I mislabeled some photos so I hope i can edit their information later). It also had a desk with a chair, another chair with a footrest, a flat-screen TV, a mini-frig and microwave, 3 drawers for clothes, a bench, and two night stands with lamps. The night stands had ample outlets and plug-ins for our phones and hand-held games. That was just the sleeping area. The entryway had a big mirror and opened to a sink and closet. The closet had a fold-down ironing board and iron but honestly does anyone use those any more? It also had a luggage rack that one of us used. The sink could have used more space but we moved the coffeemaker so it wasn't bad. The hairdryer worked well my hubby reports. We really loved the sink being outside the toilet and the shower. We have the number of towels we requested and room service was timely and remembered our towel request each of the 3 nights we stayed. The shower worked fairly well but bigger shelves inside would be ideal. The big benefit was the breakfast each morning. While there as a menu posted I noted that it was not always followed. Sometimes this was good when the host offered fresh pasties for example but at other times what we expected wasn't there at all such as french toast one day. The host kept it clean, well-stocked, and she was very friendly. There was ample seating.
At French Lick, the Best Western offers all the comforts you need, and you still have access to many of the features of the nearby resorts. The free breakfast offered healthy choices, such as Activia, fresh fruit and excellent oatmeal.
This place is so nice and clean; extremely comfortable beds and I love the shower. Shuttle service to local venues would be nice especially for truck drivers. They have truck and RV parking available as well.
Quiet, easy to find location, convenient to things in town with a friendly staff. Food wasn't too bad for a quick breakfast. Best Western waffles are always a good, once in a while treat. We would stay here again the next time we are passing through.
This hotel and staff were great. Hotel and rooms were very clean and functional for my business stay. Fitness area had good equipment that was very user friendly. Breakfast variety was good as well. Overall a very good stay, and I will look to be back on my next trip to the area.
This hotel is new. Very nice and clean. Bed was comfortable, pillows were nice. Breakfast was just OK. (I say that because the items under the heat bowls were cold.) Had the breakfast been better, I would have rated a 5. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again based on the cleanliness.
Excellent, clean property close to local attractions! Really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was very nice for a hotel property, would reccomend this place! Great value for the type of room and service you receive.
Pretty good hotel. Real modern and good signal strength for the internet which is important in French Lick. Using data on your phone is almost impossible. Clean rooms that are quiet and updated. There are three other older hotels in town that have a lot of charm but are expensive and one is a casino. Breakfast has a lot of good options. Definitely the place to stay if you have to be there.
The hotel was nice, our only issue was the noise level due to the multitude of kids. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families, but maybe not for couples seeking solitude. The mattress was too soft. The rooms and hotel were very clean.
Everything was great. The staff was nice, the pillows were fluffed, the bed was super comfortable, the room was clean and quiet, the hotel was close to everything, Gwen kept the breakfast hot and tasty and stocked, the price was reasonable. The only complaint is the floor was sticky from the syrup at breakfast time.
Perfect location in the middle of everything. The price was very resonable with a nice country view. Great staff..very accommodating! Have a beautiful large pool that was fun as well and also provided coupons for spa an nearby activities. Will definitely return!
Stayed at this hotel during the Boys High School Regional Basketball Tournament in Paoli. Short drive. Close to resturants, activities, shopping and casino. Nice and helpful staff. Breakfast was outstanding.
Very nice hotel. Very clean. Room was extremely clean. Remote control had even been cleaned and sanitized and put in a clean wrapper.??. Great maid service. Breakfast was all the standard items but they were great at keeping it stocked and warm. This little town has lots of historical things to see. It's also a very beautiful area. I definitely would return.
Our stay at Beat Western French Lick was great! The free breakfast was amazing. Sausage, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, muffins, scones, and bagels. Also milk, juices, yogurt and fruit! The breakfast staff was beyond friendly and helpful when we asked for strawberry jelly. The room was great. Very clean and loved the large size king room. Bed was very comfortable. It totally threw us that bed did not face tv but window instead. (Tv does turn so it can been seen from bed). We looked at pool but didn't get in. It was small (in my opinion) but clean. Front desk did allow us to check in early. We had time change that we forgot about and arrived early. We usually receive complimentary bottled water etc for being rewards members but did not at this hotel location. (This may not be offered). Overall, we will definitely use this hotel again in the future for our French Lick and Paoli Peak trips!
It was great comfy and the breakfast was amazing! I loved staying here next time I go to Indiana I'll definitely pick best Western again we enjoyed a lot And it's so close to Paoli Peaks like 10 min away
These are my #1 impo things for a hotel: comfy bed, good breakfast, indoor pool, nice bathroom. YES to all! The staff for the breakfast was also gracious enough to let us eat after it had closed. Yaaaaasssss!
Took a group here and had an awesome time. This hotel is new and clean. Rooms were nice and spacious. It's not an overly grand place but very nicely appointed. I had minimal staff interaction, but they all seemed quite nice.
Our family had a great stay. Perfect for your family. The hotel was beautiful and very clean. Comfortable beds, Great breakfast choices every morning. Nice indoor poor. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.
Friendly Staff, Very clean and welcoming hotel. Room was spacious and location was excellent. A bit over priced, but it was a holiday weekend. Would stay here again. Hotel smelled fresh, unlike most other hotels.
First time coming to this Best Western hotel and I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone who would like to feel like home. Great service and quality! Overall, I can't complain and will be making a trip back this year!
Weekend ski trip lodging was perfect for us. We had a great stay at Best Western Plus at French Lick. Super kind customer service at the desk. It was a short drive over to Paoli Peaks. We are already planning for next years trip.
I thought I was settling for a hotel close to my travel location but I was dead wrong. This hotel meets or beats what I see from the top brand hotels. I travel every other week on business and I would have never picked Best Western before this trip. I look forward to my next stay with them. Ya'll should give them a chance to prove they can compete with the other guys.
Stayed here overnight while skiing at Paoli Peaks. The rooms are really good. Large, clean and quiet. Breakfast is basic but it is included in the rate. At $100, we took separate rooms for the kids which is a treat. Will stay here again.
This accommodation is well located, very well maintained inside and out and is great value. Good breakfast with plenty of choices and a large dining area. There is a movie theater next door and downtown is about a 2 minute drive. The French Lick Casino is close-by as well. Lots to see and do in the region and this is a great place to make your base.
Pricing for amenities provided is right on and staff is friendly and helpful and overall very nice place to stay that was close to all the main attractions in the area of which there is a lot of history there as well.
Clean room, everything was in working order, great shower, quiet at night, got up to late for Breakfast, little tricky to get to after dark as you come in from the rear. Staff great to deal with, will stay here again.
This hotel is fairly new and is extremely clean and comfortable. Breakfast changes each day but always includes peoples favorites. Staff is always on hand to answer any questions. Little convenience store carries most anything you may need if forgotten at home. Street is right across from entrance to casino parking lot. Little movie theatre next door within walking distance. Close to main part of town.
We go to French Lick every year for Polar Express. We usually stay at the water park but this year decided to try something different and we are so glad that we did. The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated, and best of all, less chaotic. Other family members were there as well and we were placed in rooms directly across from each other on the first floor. This made everything very convenient for our 6 year old to visit back and forth and for us to get to the pool and breakfast easily. The only thing missing at this hotel is a hot tub in the pool area! Location was great as well.
Very friendly staff, clean hotel, comfortable beds, great breakfast. this hotel is close to all of the French Lick attractions without the high prices. We have stayed here twice now and will stay again next time we are in the area.
The hotel and staff is everything you want when you stop for the night. Excellent service upon check in and check out. Hotel well maintained. The breakfast buffet is great great choices and a good variety.
My husband and I enjoyed our visit at this hotel. The hotel is updated and clean. Please know that this hotel is not in the downtown area. Also, the free breakfast was fabulous! I appreciated them having almond milk as a milk free option.
Staff was very helpful and sweet. Assisted with places to eat and things to do. The beds in the room slept comfortable. Great hot breakfast as well. Would recommend staying at this location. If ever back in French Lick...will return!
My husband and I stayed the weekend here for our 10 yr wedding anniversary, we both were very Satisfied, hotel was very clean, we stayed on 2nd floor(3rd would of been nice) it was quiet and the room was very cozy.. nice, comfortable bed and lovee the huge walk-in shower. Breakfast was awesome and the Price was very Affordable, we will definitely stay here again!
Stayed here for the Polar Express and very close. Hotel and staff awesome. Arrived 2 hours early room was ready and they allowed us to check in. The staff made the stay nicer. Had indoor pool we did not get to take advantage of and my grand kids let me know. All in all would stay here again.
Beautiful property, all around clean, extremely helpful staff! We had a king bed in our room that was nice to sleep on, just not perfect to sleep on. Complimentary breakfast was excellent & provided an abundance of selections! The only major downfall is that there is no shuttle service. With the limited amount of places to stay in French Lick & the variety of activities throughout the year, a shuttle would make this hotel the perfect getaway! Especially since there is NO Uber available & only 1 taxi company in town!
We stayed there towards the end of October for 3 nights. We told the nice lady at check-in that we'd be there during our wedding Anniversary. She offered us a room on the top floor away from any kids. (lol). The room was very nice! We liked the room quite well. Our only issue was the a/c shoots straight to the top of the bed, which made it a little cool at times. Really liked the walk in shower as well. The breakfast they provided was just fine with us. Plenty to eat, and saved us some money! It is so close and convenient to all of French Lick. Nice having a movie theater next door as well. We would definitely stay there again in the future and recommend it to our friends.
Nice hotel away from the resort but close. Rooms were a bit dark but comfortable. Noisy in the hallways with kids and others during the night. Breakfast was ok; nothing that most hotels don't also have.
Great stay. Friendly employees, clean rooms good breakfast food checking in was fast and friendly. They where very helpful and the out side was clean and safe. Now the pool the chemicals in the pool was so strong it burned our eyes so bad we got out went took a shower. The people just sitting in chairs there eyes was burning from the fumes
This was our second stay at this hotel in French Lick. The entire property is CLEAN inside and out. Property is located just off the main drag so very easy to access the town of French Lick. Staff quite friendly. Breakfast has enough variety so just about everyone can find something to eat.
If traveling to the French Lick area and looking for a great Hotel at a reasonable price, I highly suggest staying at this property. Having traveled for 28 years, I am rarely surprised at the quality of a property. This Best Western Hotel will exceed your expectations.
We have stayed here on two different occasions and both times have been a real pleasure. Rooms were clean, the breakfast was hot with a variety of foods. Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful. Location is convenient to area attractions.
went to french lick for a wedding had to pay 199.00 plus tax hotel is clean but only worth half of this breakfast was the normal canned product staff was friendly would not stay here agian bed was not very comfortable pillows were the same
The Best Western in French Lick is Very Clean and Comfortable. Not far from several attractions. Very Friendly Staff. Breakfast was normal for a Hotel, everything was kept fresh. They do have a pool and fitness room in which we did not use, but the pool looked refreshing, there was no hot tub.
The staff was helpful and friendly. The price of the room was very reasonable. The entire place was clean. My room was quite and got a good nights sleep both nights I was their. This is not the first time I have stayed at this hotel. Both times I have been pleased with my stay.
Stayed here on recent trip to West Baden/ French Lick area to enjoy the fall color. The hotel is just off the main drag through French Lick so the heavy traffic in and around the French Lick Resort Casino is no problem. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was very good- much more than the usual continental roll and coffee.
Best western was the best. From the time we walked in the door till the time we left, the staff was so helpful. The room was quiet and clean. The swimming pool was clean and plenty of clean towels. We will always come back to this best western.
This is a clean and comfortable hotel. The staff are excellent. The hotel is conveniently located. I left something in the room and they mailed it to me very promptly and not COD either. They get an A + in my book!
Great job experience at this hotel ! Clean friendly staff with a great continental breakfast close to French Lick and West Baden .We will definitely return to this hotel especially in the fall . Highly recommend !
A friend of ours recommended this hotel to us. There was a group of three couples meeting in French Lick, from Kentucky and Indiana, One of the couples had a free night stay at the casino hotel, the other two couples planned on spending the night at the Best Western, one couple was unable to stay because of medical problems, We thoroughly enjoyed our stay from the check in to the check out we never had one problem. Staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, and the suite was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend hotel and location . We will make a point of going to this hotel again. Looking forward to having another friends getaway and will make sure all of our friends and family are aware of what a pleasure it was to stay at this Best Western. I can't think of anything that could have made our stay better.
The Best Western is a new hotel off Highway 145 South, about 0.9 mile from the French Lick Casino, Big Splash Adventure water park and the French Lick Scenic Railway. This is an excellent venue with good size, contemporary rooms featuring free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and sitting areas, mini-fridges, microwaves and coffeemakers. Suites add kitchenettes and living areas with pull-out sofas (some have dining tables). My partner and I liked the large bathroom with walk in shower. They have plentiful free car, truck/RV parking. Other amenities are a heated indoor pool and a fitness room. They also have a free hot breakfast buffet (cold or hot cereal), milk, coffee, tea, juices, yoghurt, hard coiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, bread, English muffins, Danish, and more) all served in a bright, clean dining area right off the lobby. The service was perfect, with easy check-in. They are also far enough from traffic that all rooms are quite. They do not have free shuttles, but French Lick has taxi service if you do not want to drive or walk to town or the casino.
We stayed for two nights for our trip to French Lick. The hotel was new and clean. The King size bed was so comfortable, the shower was large and I loved the shower head. I would definitely stay again
It was our first time staying at a Best Western property. It certainly will not be our last. The hotel was beautiful, quiet and well appointed. The breakfast was amazing. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel
good but could have lower room rates for senors living on fixed income and have cheaper prices on snack foods. pool should be open later for adults so they can enjoy the pool without children present.
Was very clean. Everyone was very helpful and kind . The price was very reasonable. Enjoyed our stay very much and as we travel, we look for Best Western to stay. We also like the rewards program. Very nice
How to get into the hotel is hard to see at night, if arriving at night. There is no entrance from the main road. But other than that very clean and friendly staff, breakfast available, clean area good food.
Grounds were neat and the hotel was clean. The staff was very helpful. We would stay here again. Everthing was accessible as if we were staying at the French Lick Resort. Not a far drive to anything at all.
Just needed a quiet place to relax a few days. Nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. New condition and is off the interstate so it has not been beat up by careless people. No Indians running the place. Breakfast was fantastic and attendant was always present. Staff was friendly and attentive. Grounds were well kept.
NICE PLACE. clean rooms, etc. The breakfast selection was pretty good as hotels go but warm items should always be warm, not just when they are brought out. We were quoted 199.00 on a Saturday nite, which was way over the posted rate on the computer, but as it was getting late that was okay. We did ask if the Hotel offered an AARP discount, and they said yes. The problem is that when paper working, the rate was raised to 209.00 prior to discount. I did not make a scene about it but won't be back.
Staff was very friendly. The breakfast selection was very good. It was nice that there was cereal, fruit, and even waffles available. The room was clean and comfortable. The outside was well maintained.
very clean and new. rooms are very roomy. staff is friendly. We didn't have time for breakfast but it looked pretty good. location is great, and it's a lot cheaper than most of the surrounding hotels.
French Lick was extremely busy this past weekend. Our usual hotels were full so we booked a room at the Best Western, which is a new hotel. It was really nice, very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The location was quiet and we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at the BW Plus in French Lick. Any problems we encountered were taken care of quickly. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast area was well-maintained. Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded due to a shower problem. The suite we were given was very nice and comfortable. The hotel was well-located. Restaurants, historic hotels, and shops were a short drive away and parking was free.
My husband and I went to French Lick for our 1 year anniversary. We decided to save some money and stay at the Best Western and it was great. This is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed in and everyone working was so nice and helpful. We used Tall Guys Taxi for going to and from the casino. Overall my husband and I had a perfect trip and were very, very pleased with this Best Western.
The quality, friendliness and staff were all outstanding. Great stay for the price. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to French Lick. The hotel was conveniently located and was not on a noisy highway.
The hotel was very good I thought it was a bit pricey but overall no complaints rooms were very nice beds very comfy. Nice breakfast with variety bacon one day sausage the next. staff was very friendly but that's southern Indiana
Everything about this place was wonderful. Spotless hotel, great staff, comfortable beds. We were here for bachelorette party on Patoka Lake. Lots of family stayed here. Great place to stay. Breakfast was great. Had about everything available one could want for breakfast. The ladies working there were so sweet and even brought some warm danishes to our table. We were very pleased. We stayed the next night at the big resort in French Lick and we actually liked Best Western stay better. Other place was just too big.
very clean, quiet and comfortable. I would definitely stay again. Truely a price performer. Great location as well. No aspect of the stay was subpar in any way. If you can, stay there. The breakfast was great as well with an attendant there to help at all times in the morning
Three star rating? No way... it should be rated a Five Star. We took Grandkids to French Lick IN and stayed at this hotel. Knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly staff. Indoor pool. Interior and exterior of this place was immaculate. The beds were very comfortable and the place was quiet and we were on the first floor. The lady who was in charge of the free morning breakfast did an excellent job. The kept everything refilled and very clean. The oatmeal and biscuits and gravy were excellent. She even offered to keep it open until the kids got there. I cannot say enough about the quality of staff, from the front desk to the cleaning personnel, they have at this place. How refreshing.
Newer and modern, this hotel met our expectations overall. We had a small suite which was adequate and comfortable but nothing special. The free breakfast was tasty and a good variety of foods. The gym is very small with just 5 pieces of equipment including one treadmill. The pool is indoors but also small and there is no hot tub. Nice stay, but not memorable.
Well done - everything was very professionally done, clean and the morning breakfast was hot and tasty. The staff were very helpful, and when a minor problem with the room was reported, it was immediately remedied. We will be back to French Lick and we will be staying at this Best Western on our next stay.
Exceptionally clean with a great staff and breakfast. Wish they would have had a hot tub. The location was just south of the town and was very quiet and off the beaten path. Would stay here again if in the area.
The Hotel was very clean and modern. Our family enjoyed extra amenities like the pool and the breakfast, both areas were clean and satisfying. The staff was helpful too. I would defiantly stay at this hotel again and suggest it to friends.
This BW was one of the better BW's that I've ever stayed in. Very clean, customer service was excellent. The elevators were down and they called me the day prior to let me know and make sure that was ok. I told them no worries for us as we were able and willing to use the stairs. Not very many hotels would have called. Beds were very comfortable in my opinion. Fantastic location close to everything! Breakfast was included and just ok. My husband stuck with the waffles. I could not finish the scrambled eggs so I stuck to the other stuff which was a choice of cereals, muffins, bacon or sausage depending on day, and a few other items. Breakfast is only open from 6A - 9A so if you miss it, you can drive a short drive to Mickey's Deli (do NOT go to Denny's!!!!!!!). There was HBO but no Pay Per View movies. That's the only thing I would change is to add those but honestly it was no big deal. Both my husband and daughter took advantage of the free Wi-Fi and neither one of them had any problems. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting French Lick, Indiana!!!
It was nice having another option in French Lick to stay. New facility with a more modern feel over the other hotel choices. Convenient location. The elevator was out of service however we received a phone call prior to our arrival informing us of the inconvenience and to see if we had any disabilities that would require a first level room. Kuddos for being proactive!
After looking into several locations for a long French Lick weekend we decided on a suite at the Best Western. The hotel is very new, clean, and nice and the room was spacious. The cost was much lower than comparable rooms at the area 'resorts' and the hotel is located just minutes (literally...like 3) from the downtown area. Personally, I see no reason to be crowded into an overpriced hotel with hundreds of other people when you can stay here. I will say this though: the water pressure in the shower was terrible. I did not ask if it was the same throughout the entire hotel because my assumption was that it was just a 'green' practice being used to cut operating costs (in the name of conservation). This was the only thing stopping me from giving them a 5-star rating. Quick tip: there is a movie theater just a short walk away if you get bored in town.
Hotel is lovely inside and out. Rooms are spacious and attractive and beds are comfortable. Amenities are good. Staff were helpful and breakfast was very good and very nicely presented and kept up. Maybe a little pricey. A bit difficult to find via the map on the back of their brochure so we drove around a good bit. Our GPS also took us the wrong way so we had to call to get directions.
Very nice staff. New hotel that is nicely decorated. Room was very clean and the bed was really comfy. Very close to everything. Very affordable compared to the large resort in town. I would stay again.
Great hotel with great staff! Clean rooms with comfortable beds. The pool was nice and clean. The breakfast area was kept clean, good food variety, fresh and well stocked. Parking lot was also clean and grounds were well kept.
Stayed 2 nights at end of July. All the staff we encountered were friendly, from front desk, to breakfast attendants to housekeeping. We didn't want to pay over $300 a night to stay at the two big resorts, which was the main reason we chose the Best Western. I thought the price was still a little high, but being in a resortish town in summer I guess the rates are higher. Our room was spacious 2 queen (not doubles). We had a fridge, which came in handy with our snacks and drinks we brought for the weekend. The room also had a lighted make-up mirror that was moveable and a full-size hairdryer (not attached to the wall), which came in handy with 2 girls getting ready. Location is a very short drive to either of the fancy resorts, and the Hinshaw Rock and Gems (which I highly recommend if you like stone/gem jewelry). We didn't use the pool, but it looked small. Overall a pleasant first stay at a Best Western Plus.
We stayed for 3 nights in a queen suite. The hotel was a great value, with exceptional service. It was clean, well kept, and the breakfast was quite nice. Our housekeeper, Charlotte, truly made our stay special. She was kind and gracious, going out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. The only flaws we could find were with the size of the pool, it is rather small, but in no way impacted our stay.
I would definitely recommend staying here for leisure. We were close to all the amenities the area had to offer. Our room was clean and tidy. Being in the first floor can be noisy, but we didn't experience any major noise. Our room was very spacious and the decor was very modern. The breakfast buffet was pretty good on the most part. Try to go earlier than later if possible as the food started to run out of the daily menu choices. We enjoyed our experience and we highly recommend as the staff were friendly and helpful.
The trip was a last minute girls girls trips. The staff was very helpful in booking us a room and recommendig things to go. Overall very good. The staff was excellent. The hideaway bed was nothing but springs.
We decided to got to French Lick for a sisters/cousin trip and found the pricing of BW to be the most cost effective choice in the area for a 2 night stay. The hotel was clean and the room was awesome - 6 people in our stay - we were in a suite with a fridge and stove top. The room was perfect because there was a separation between the adults and the teens with us. We called down to the front desk to ask for some additional towels and said we would come get them , and they said "No, we will be right up"...within 5 min we had an additional 4 towels delivered to our room. We all enjoyed the included breakfast in the morning, I was expecting a bagel and cold cereal by the description online, but we were pleasantly greeted with hot food options (sausage, eggs & oatmeal), fresh pastries and a waffle station. The breakfast staff was also most helpful and made sure that the area was clean and walked around with fresh pastries to hand out to the guests. The last morning of our stay, there was a bit of traffic in the breakfast area and we were greeted by the hotel staff stating that they had made additional seating in another area to accommodate the extra people, I thought that was a quick solution to the problem and appreciated being greeted so quickly as we exited the elevator. It was a very nice place to stay with a large group and everyone enjoyed the trip.
The hotel is new so everything looks great. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was yummy! The price was very reasonable and the hotel was close to all the places we wanted to visit. It had a variety of travelers staying there and they all seemed to be very happy with their stay.
Clean rooms and excellent service. Next time we plan to stay longer to really enjoy the town and all it offers. Casino was not packed like some are and the weather was perfect for walking. Found some shops with things to decorate my Florida home.
We are already planning our next trip so we can stay at this hotel. We've never had such excellent Service as we had at this hotel. Anyone thinking of an out-of-town stay should really consider Best Western
Great option if you don't want the expense of the 2 resorts. You still have access to the resorts, as it is right down the street.Trolleys and vans rotate around the immediate area. This hotel is newer, very clean and priced well. We would use it again if in the area.
An up to date room. An incredible breakfast and very close to French Lick Indiana. The golf course where I was playing was about 2.5 miles away so it was extremely close. The highlight of breakfast was the hot cinnamon rolls that the gals sent around to us.
Just off the main beat, a very clean and comfortable stay. Great desk staff, decent breakfast with many choices, a two minute drive to historic French Lick and all it's history and restaurants. Interesting, this is fairly new hotel, yet the floors creak as if old. Loved that sound!
Have only stayed at the Best Western Plus in Frenchlick, but the hotel is so clean with great rooms and comfortable bed, that we don't even check out anywhere else. And the room AC works beautifully! My husband gets cold! That's really great because many hotel rooms are quite nicely cool when you check in but the AC doesn't really cool quite the same during the night. This one has the chilliest AC (during sleep time) we have ever experienced.
This hotel is a pleasant surprise. This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was amazing!!! A housekeeper noticed my husband carrying up the free coffee and hot breakfast to give me breakfast in bed for my birthday. She asked could she sing happy birthday. About 7 housekeepers piled on the elevator, came to the room, and sang "Happy Birthday." It was so sweet! I was in tears. Later, one of the housekeepers brought roses in a paper cup to my room. This hotel has the most helpful and friendliest staff ever! I have never felt so welcome and special at any hotel. We visited wineries, visited the historic resorts, and had mineral baths at the resort spa without pricey resort rates.
This hotel is overpriced compared to what is offered at the resort to stay there, the actual resort offers so much todo and staying at the resort is more of a bargain than staying at the Best Western Hotel
Great stay overall. Clean and comfortable rooms. Hotel seemed to be fairly new and great location close to French Lick Resort. Would highly recommend staying there again. Enjoyed free breakfast as well
We stayed four nights and slept well every night. Our room was cleaned well each day. Breakfast was good variety...enjoyed a good banana everyday as had other hot entries and pastries. Good to have fruit, eggs, meat, Greek yogurt, chocolate milk, 2%, and fat free milk. Of course they have a waffle maker too and appreciated the sugar free syrup. Wifi worked well for us. Hotel staff were all very courteous and helpful. Especially loved the strong shower spray and additional light in the bathroom which lights up the shower area with the fan...perfect!
Spent 2 nights at the hotel while visiting family. No issues with the hotel - able to view the fireworks from our window. The bed was comfortable and room layout was spacious. Would stay again and have recommended to family.
My wife said we "have" to buy some of these pillows :-) as our stay was wonderful and she slept well as did the kids and myself. Beautiful newly constructed Best Western right in French Lick. We will definitely stay here again when we return.
I have stayed here twice and both times I have been very satisfied. The desk personel were very nice and anxious to help. The breakfast was great and on time. The servers are always pleasant and nice. Friendly and nice to talk. Everything was kept stocked and clean.
New hotel in French lick. Modern theme. Very nice breakfast set up. Lots of options to choose from including healthy choices. Convenient to down town. Rooms VERY nice and very clean with modern decor! Convenient to Casino and downtown French Lick area (but not walking distance ).
Very clean and comfortable hotel. We treated ourselves to a suite for our girl's weekend, and it was very spacious! Even had a dishwasher with a good amount of dishes and glasses. Beds were very comfortable, and the air conditioner was efficient. I was a bit disappointed to discover that despite a nice pool, they don't have a hot tub. There are no sidewalks to walk to the French Lick Hotel, but a free shuttle service is available. Would definitely return!
The hotel is a very nice place. Everything is clean and well cared for. The ladies at the desk were very helpful, kind and polite. The breakfast was very good and the ladies serving it were friendly. They even opened another room to sit as we arrived to eat at a very busy time. We loved that a shuttle will pick you up at the hotel and take you to the casino. One call and they were there within minutes. I highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely visit again soon.
Kind of high price for southern Indiana, but guess that's French Lick for you. This survey is more demanding than I am comfortable with. You ask too much! Our stay there was simply for practical reasons, as our family's time share couldn't accommodate everyone who came for the gathering.
Our family really enjoyed our stay. Our suite was one of the biggest 1 bdrm suites we've ever stayed in, with a full kitchen. The suite had all of the modern amenities, and we were more than satisfied with the decor and cleanliness; couldn't find anything to complain about if we tried. We definitely recommend it, and will stay again when in the area.
The front desk staff were very helpful. The hotel is well maintained. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Great location!! Would highly recommend for family or business travel. Good value for the price and amenities.
When we arrived there were 4 employees behind the desk. One lady was actively waiting in the other customer waiting to be checked in. The short female at the other reception check in station was chatting with another employee for at least 5 minutes. Then she looked up at my husband and said in an unkind voice"do you have a reservation". My husband said yes. She looked at him and said "well I have to make a phone call so it will be a while" and walked away. This says everything you need to know about this hotel.
Overall good experience. Ask ahead of the shuttle is running to the hotel. When we called the shuttle was not running to the hotel. The shuttle did take us back to the hotel. The Hotel staff were very friendly and check in was quick.
All staff was professional and courteous, helpful and smiling all the time! Rooms were clean, and kept that way. Thanks to the breakfast attendants for their help with my three young children as I had them by myself one morning and had my hands full. Their help was very much appreciated. Rooms were quiet and well insulated. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We will be back.
I attempted to reserve a room for myself and my family for 8/5/17 for a wedding we would be attending. The online system booked the room for 6/5/17...I know I could have double-checked the date but I didn't (keep in mind I was making this reservation on 6/5/17). I was surprised the next day that a charge was added to my credit card but I assumed they must have charged for my 8/5/17 visit...I was wrong. When I called to explain my mistake they said there is nothing they could do about it and refused to either credit my card or allow a credit on a future stay...even though the room sat empty and was not used. They refused to do anything to convince me to stay with them ever again. Their reason was that they had to hold the room that night...even though they weren't sure there were any other requests (it was a Monday night...doubt they were "sold out"). They also never called to confirm if I was coming still...not sure why I give a phone number when I make a reservation. The reality is that this was an excellent opportunity for this hotel to go the extra mile and provide the type of customer service that could have made me an ambassador/customer for life. Instead, I will NEVER stay at a Best Western again and I will make sure others know why. I will also make sure my company never uses Best Western again. I will be more than happy to recommend some books the management at this hotel may want to read about how to win and keep customers through customer service. In the meantime, I guess I will be spending my money at Comfort Suites or West Baden Inn when we attend the wedding in August.
I was really disappointed to find out this hotel did not have a hot tub as I was really looking forward to soaking after a long day of travelling. My next best option was a soak in the bathtub, but there was no bathtub in my room either, just a standing shower. I asked the girl at check-in about delivery options and she told me she "didn't know." She didn't try to find any options, so I had to drive around town until I found something to eat. I had a long night and required a late check out in the morning, which the woman working the day shift was very helpful with. The hotel as a whole is nice. It's very modern and the rooms are very open, although the bathrooms are quite small. I didn't travel around town much but it seemed to be a pretty small place with not a lot of options for food, etc, around. The staff seemed a little bothered any time I asked for anything. The breakfast was great. I would stay here again, but it would not be my first choice.
We rented a King Room and loved it!! The room was extra large and the shower/bathroom facilities were separate from the lavatory - always a plus! Friendly staff. Great breakfast. We will definitely visit again.
Clean, friendly, good breakfast, movie theatre next door, French lick casino free shuttle just down street. Will stay here again. Patoka Lake just 12 miles away or less. Not much in workout room but at least was something.
I Thoroughly enjoyed my overnight here. Room and hot breakfast was very good. They allow late night hours on their pool, and they provide a shuttle to and from the casino in town. I would definitely consider staying here anytime.
This hotel is clean, attractive, and reasonably priced. If you are going to French Lick and don't want to pay the high price of the two resorts but still want to visit them and go to the casino, this is the place to stay. Located slightly off the main roads makes it an extremely quiet place to stay.
Was really surprised at cleanliness, comfort, and size of the room. Enjoyed the stay. If traveling to this town again we'll definitely stay here. Great staff also. Very handy to the French Lick Resort and West Baden Resort.
I have stayed at this hotel 8 times in the past year. I am very impressed with the cleanliness, staff and comfort! It's always a pleasure being here and the Best Western ALWAYS meets my expectations. Great little town, O'Hana is a new favorite restaurant and "French Licks" ice cream parlor was a special treat - who can resist Maple, bacon ice cream?
Very nice and reasonably priced hotel. They even offer a free 24 hour shuttle service to and from the casino. The breakfast was good and well kept. The hotel is either new or just remodeled. The beds were great.
We were so excited about our trip we left home too early and arrived three hours before check-In. The front desk clerk let us check in anyway. Our room was great. The bed was very comfortable and had lots of pillows. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. I really liked the Breakfast Casserole.
About 3 minutes from the Casino and resort facilities of the Springs Hotel. Really nice room at a third the price of the Resort! Free shuttle comes to the door and takes you to the Casino and resort. Golf course is a 5 minute drive. It's a Donald Ross design and in fantastic shape.
We had not planned to stay. Due to high water we extended our stay in French Lick. The hotel was clean. Our suite was very nice. Checked in in at 3 A.M. requested a late check out could only get until noon. Other than that it was okay.
We were off for our honeymoon and it poured down rain, but our stay at Best Western French Lick was very relaxing and would not hesitate to stay there again. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and accommodating.
Awsome staff, very clean and comfortable (the breakfast is SUPER) will DEFINITELY stay here anytime we are in French Lick or the surrounding area. What a nice place to stay when just hanging out at the Casino with family!
Lovely hotel and oleasant staff, good location, but be warned: it's on a flood plain! After it stormed last night, we were stranded and neither the staff nor corporate customer "care" were willing to lift a finger. Not even a "sorry." The hotel staff took a "tough luck, act of nature" approach. We got curt answers, no food through mid afternoon, and it cost us $80 to pay a tow truck to leave around 2:30. I had called corporate and they dropped me after 20 minutes and didn't call back. The second time I called she didn't offer any assistance just said we were free to leave. They should have warned us with the storms coming in (this was not the first time for flooding), They should provide food to stranded travelers and a nicer attitude would have gone a long way.
Very clean hotel with a great hot and cold breakfast provided in the morning. Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our short stay. We would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in French Lick.
Let's start with the positives. Quiet location. Clean. Friendly staff. Quiet for sleeping. I believe all rooms come with a tub/shower combo. All of which are extremely important. They tried to deliver a quality breakfast. What takes away from the experience is the breakfast area is small. I think it accommodates 40 people tops. If the hotel is sold out (it was both nights of our stay) the breakfast area becomes a challenge both for seating and getting food. The breakfast staff was working hard to replenish food but they were overwhelmed. Another waffle maker would be an asset. Chocolate milk was nice. There is only one elevator however it is only 3 stories so you can take the stairs. The lighting in the rooms is okay but not the best. Not sure if this is the situation in each room but our bathroom had the widest door I have ever seen. When you sat on the toilet you could not keep the door partially opened or it touched you while sitting on the toilet. All this being said we would probably stay here again. We would just hope it wasn't sold out.
I picked the Best Western based on the reviews of cleanliness on trip advisor. But that was not my experience and when I had key problems the older lady at the desk made a comment about the front door being open. Not a good feeling to try and run in from the rain and find yourself stuck because your key card won't work. If it weren't for another visitor we would have to run all the way around and get soaking wet.
Great place to stay, rooms were nice size and clean. Very good location for the things that we wanted to go to. All the staff was friendly and courteous but Sunday night when we got there Sheila was on duty and she was terrific! We stayed two nights and the free breakfast in the morning was wonderful. The two ladies that make the food Robin and Gwen were very helpful and work very hard, they were great!!!
We stayed as a family and have no complaints. Great hotel, great amenities. We were very happy with the room size...two queens and a pullout couch. The hotel pool was well maintained. Breakfast was filling and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay again.
This hotel was the perfect spot for a quick overnight stay. We are kinda picky when it comes to hotels, this was definitely one of the best we stayed at. Nice and clean, huge shower, comfy bed and a fridge. We used the FREE shuttle to go the casino; its 24/7 and so convenient. In the morning the hot breakfast was great. I had sausage gravy and biscuits, eggs, and bacon. I would stay here again if we visit French Lick again (which I'm sure we will).
We had a great time and the hotel was wonderful. Very clean, staff very helpful! The breakfast was good and had different variety everyday. The pool was warm and clean. Would stay again on future visits.
Spent the night and very impressed with room. ...spacious, clean and great shower. Loved the room darkening shades. Staff very friendly and helpful. One of the best complimentary breakfasts we have seen...lots of variety. Close to restaurants and sightseeing. Definitely should tour the French Lick Resort hotel, West Baden Hotel and French Lick winery while in town.
Our family stayed at the French Lick Best Western Plus while attending the French Lick Polar Express, We had 4 rooms under one name, Checked in at different times and check-in was quick and easy for each family. Rooms were clean and spacious. We felt safe at this location. Every staff person was friendly, polite and helpful. Breakfast was good with lots of great choices. We'll be staying there again on future visits to the area!
I stayed for 2 nights while my girlfriend and her friend did a girlfriend getaway at West Baden. If we do this again, we will ALL stay at the Best Western. The place is very nice and the staff are great!
Good option to expensive options and their shuttle will pick you up and deliver you to places in town - 24 hours a day. rooms clean and spacious - great house keeping Good breakfast .. friendly staff.
We stayed here in late October in conjunction with a concert at the Casino nearby. This is a new hotel, open about 18 months, and a very nice facility. A little pricy for a Best Western, but certainly less than staying at the French Lick Resort or West Baden. Rooms are very large, and very comfortable. Frig and microwave and a separate room for the toilet and shower, so two people can get ready at the same time. Nice breakfast selection and only two blocks from the casino. A good place to stay.
Very nice hotel, the room were spacious (we had a king bed). Shower pressure was not very strong, even with an adjustable shower head. Decorating was good. Front desk was just okay, not really friendly, but not rude, just matter of fact. It was a little pricey for a Saturday night stay. Breakfast was not as good as other reviews have described, maybe I missed something? Just a normal buffet breakfast.
First time staying at the BWP. The hotel is first class, clean and the staff professional. The rooms have plenty of space, I loved the arrangement of the room. comfortable and everything you need for a night(s) stay. I would definitely return when in the area. I liked the area/location of the hotel, quite. Let's not forget the wonderful breakfast that Best Western Plus offers!!!! A lot to choose from. Very close to the casino. The exercise room is also nice. Thanks for a pleasant stay! The Robinson's
My husband and I traveled to French Lick, Indiana. It was business for him, pleasure for me. The atmosphere is bright and modern with a hint of tradition. The pool was perfect. The temperature was just right for a chilly day - not too cold, not too hot. There was a unisex bathroom in the pool area. I would recommend a table for placing clothes while changing. There were several lounge chairs in the pool area as well as tables and chairs. Handicap access is available upon request. The work out room was good. Our king size bed was comfortable. The room had a small refrigerator and a microwave oven. The desk, club chair, footstool and lamps were all fine and attractive. The breakfast had several choices. Delicious. There is a fountain specifically designed to refill your water bottles. Nice idea. The only complaint we had was the maid service. We placed our "Do not Disturb" sign on our our door both mornings. Apparently the housekeeping staff doesn't recognize them. They literally knocked on our door 3 or 4 times. They opened the door the 1st morning and yelled in twice. What the heck?
The hotel's newness provides a clean, fresh atmosphere in all aspects of the property in a quiet location yet very close to the town's main attractions. I expect the hotel will soon be in high demand as the word gets around it.
VERY clean, awesome water pressure in the shower, and have not had any issues connecting to the internet, like we have had in other hotels. Staff very friendly. Loved having a comfy chair in our room. Highly recommend!!!
We stayed for a long weekend. The hotel is very clean and the staff was helpful. Breakfast was good with a variety of food each day. My wife said this is the best Best Western that we have stayed in. About the only complaint was noise from people walking the floor above us. Only 3/4 of a mile from the casino.
Liked the location of this hotel. New, clean and quiet rooms. A little disappointed with the variety of breakfast items. There were different items put out for breakfast on the 2nd day. Overall, all the amnesties were very nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Good value for hotel in French Lick. Clean rooms and nice staff. There were three couples in our group and we stayed for three nights. All were happy with the hotel. The rooms have refrigerators which is nice for snacks for our afternoon get-togethers.
My wife and I have stayed here on 3 different occasions. First 2 times were great. This time no complaints except breakfast was cold and cold hard boiled eggs cold french toast strips. Juice and coffee good though. We ate a little went out to eat breakfast later. Room was great as always except make up mirror light didn't work which I get cause bulbs do burn out it was no big deal. They just need to step up their breakfast and or training of employees.
The location for this hotel is great. It is just off of the main road for the city, very easy to get to. There is a movie theater right next to it and restaurants close in the area. It is a very clean hotel. It has a hot breakfast with many choices but the weekday hours need to go until 10:00 instead of 9:00. We were on vacation and did not want to set an alarm everyday to get up in time for breakfast. It has a nice pool area and is open until 11:00 which is nice. We were there for 3 nights and one of the days we DID NOT get our room cleaned so by the next day we were overflowing with garbage (since the cans in the room are so small) and we needed new towels and coffee. We told the front desk, she gave us towels but nothing else was done. The dresser in our room leaned forward so the drawers kept opening, we had to put something under it to stop that. I do love having a micro and mini fridge.
My husband and I stayed in this hotel for an overnight getaway to French Lick/West Baden in a king room. Hotel is newer, tucked back off the main thru-way of town, but still close enough to be anywhere (shops, casino, restaurants, etc.) within minutes. Customer service we received from the from desk attendant Jerri was wonderful - she was super nice and helpful with questions that we had! The room was clean, modern and large. The bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. We did hear quite a bit of hallway noise as we were right across from the elevators. There was a hairdryer, coffeemaker, iron, mini-fridge and microwave available in the room. WiFi was a little slow in connection but adequate for use. Free breakfast was available with many hot options such as eggs, breakfast meat, waffles, etc. and was plentiful for a large crowd on a weekday. There is an indoor pool and small fitness center available, but cannot comment on those as we did not utilize either.
We were thinking of staying at the French Lick Resort, but the prices are ridiculous! We loved our room at Best Western. The hotel was clean and new. The breakfast was delicious, too, even though we would have loved to see a couple of healthier options (lower sugar yogurt, more whole grain options). Overall, one of the nicer hotels I've stayed in.
Visited hotel for 3 days with my family. My first impression of the hotel was great. Looked new and smelled brand new. Very clean inside and out. The problem is the lack of customer service at this hotel. The first thing we noticed was on the first day of our stay we came back from visiting French Lick to a room that was not cleaned. This was 4:30 in the afternoon. Went down to desk and asked them about why no one had cleaned our room. We get back "did you have your do not disturb sign up ". No real concern, no I am sorry. I know this happens quite often because on day 3 I overheard them ask someone else the same question as they complained for the same reason. Went to pool at 3 in afternoon, no towels available on day 2. This hotel has major issues with housekeeping. Hire some people. At least act like you care. Ok enough with that. When we checked in we decided we wanted to stay a third night. We figured at the same rate, but when we get the bill on our last day they charged us 40 dollars more. they gladly added the third night but they failed to inform us how much more it would cost. Finally the breakfast. Day 1 great no issues. Day 2 no potatoes. Day 3 get there at 825 to a little bit of everything. Hear young lady say to a customer we are not making anymore eggs today you will have to eat the hard boiled ones. Breakfast ends at 9 no eggs, no bacon, French toast strips cold and potatoes nasty. Don't advertise breakfast if you aren't going to keep the breakfast full till 9. Who cares if you have to throw some food away. Moving your breakfast time to 7 to 10 would be better. The bad thing about that was we were told this hotel was sold out so with extra people, breakfast should be served until nine. It was very very busy when they were dwindling the food away. Summary of visit it's the little things that count. If you stay at a Hilton property, such as the Hampton inn, you are told satisfaction is guaranteed. If you stay here you get nothing, no sorry ... just poor service at a nice new hotel. We loved French lick and are now planning on coming back each year. But we are not staying with you. We expect something better. The French lick springs hotel will be on our list not you.
Hotel was in a great location. Close to everything. Great prices and great service. I was very impressed with their breakfast items. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful! Would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to everyone.
Our room was cleaned well. The staff was nice and helpful. Have never been to French Lick and they were helpful telling us things to do. They also gave us some history of French Lick. Gave us directions to different places. I like it that you could get coffee all the time. The bed was really comfortable.
Nice modern decor. Would definitely return. Staff was very friendly. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hair dryer. I think tuhey had an ironing board and iron too. Very quiet not many kids.
This hotel is close to everything-The Casino and French Lick Resort, the Train Ride through West Baden etc. Very accommodating hotel staff. HOT BREAKFAST. Only downside is that breakfast is only served from 8-9 Weekdays. We were in a King Bed room and so there is plenty of space-with a coffee maker, fridge AND Microwave!! Room has clean sheets and appliances are spotless. Beds are changed daily. There is no laundry service but there is a washer and dryer on 2nd floor, they sell soap in lobby. I would suggest if you need to do laundry, get your soap and snacks at the Hucks gas station nearby. Definitely a great place to stay when in French Lick.
We stayed at this hotel for one night. While it didn't offer a ton of bells and whistles, it was very nice and wee were able to walk into town, which I very much enjoyed. The included breakfast was a nice perk. We did have a pillow top mattress. I know some folks love them and there hard on the back of others', so good to know ahead of time.
This was our first time staying here. It was a very nice, super clean, hotel. It is very close to all the action in French Lick, yet very quiet. Clean room, awesome air conditioning, comfortable bed, everything worked perfectly.
We were in French Lick for a leisure weekend and stayed here 2 nights. The room was very clean, bed was very comfortable. We were very pleased and would definitely stay here again. The breakfast was good and the entire experience was very nice.
This was our first stay at a Best Western Plus. This hotel is very clean. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were happy and satisfied, with everything. There were several events going on in the area, at the time of our stay. The front desk staff were very helpful in guiding us around. The room was very clean. We chose a king sized bed room. I wish our room at home was this big! Overall, you can not go wrong with this choice. My husband and I were very impressed!!
Overall, my rating is low due to my initial experience upon entering my room. Pulling the top sheet back I found popcorn over the whole top of the Bed. It was obvious housekeeping did nothing but maybe replace the towels. This, as it would anyone, put me on edge the two nights we stayed. On the plus side the free breakfast is above average, the pool, while small, is clean and the bed; when we got the bed changed, was comfortable. I like this area to get away and will be back, just not to this establishment.
Spacious room with two beds and a fridge made it easy for us to access local amenities. Make your own plan for food, aside from the tasty, complimentary breakfast. The location along an access road is strange, but the site is convenient to French Lick.
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and pleasant.. The breakfast was good quality but needed more attention to refilling the trays.. The room was clean and things appeared new and fresh.. Overall a very positive hotel experience..
We usually stay at Hampton Inns, but there weren't any in French Lick so we choose this hotel based on reviews. I must say it was a pleasant surprise! We have stayed at Best Westerns before and they always seemed 2-3 star. This hotel was clean, smelled great, organized, and the staff was top notch. The hotel looks very new and the breakfasts were great! Stay here!!! French Lick is a lot of fun too.
Our first time staying at this hotel. It is a very nice place. I would recommend anyone with allergies to be sure to check with someone knowledgeable about some of their supplies. The desk person on the day we checked in didn't have a clue to what they had. It was the first hotel I'd ever seen that the desk person didn't know what allergy free pillows were and even said they didn't have them when I checked myself and saw they were. I have asthma and that is a critical necessity for me. Otherwise, the hotel is a pleasant atmosphere and it is comfortable.
New, excellent hotel to stay in French Lick. Very close to the French Lick Convention center, casino, etc. Gas station on corner. Flat screen tv, refrigerator, microwave, lighted makeup mirror and magnifier. Bed was very comfortable with many pillow options. I was on a conference at the French Lick Convention center and was pleasantly surprised by this new jewel in the area.
Extremely surprised that this hotel had rooms when others were "full"! This is a new hotel that is located close to both French Lick Resort and West Baden Hotel. The breakfast was well prepared and common areas very stylish. The only concern I might voice is that there could be better signage at the turn from the highway to the hotel....as it can quickly "sneak up" on the driver.
While this location appears to be remote -- I learned that it was very close to downtown French Lick. It is a newer hotel and still has the new "smell." The staff was very helpful; the breakfast menu left some times to be desired. The breakfast burritos were very bad and the french toast sticks were hard. These issues could be overcome by changing the food items.
Stayed here for the past two weekends with my family. I think the hotel is brand new, and if it's not it sure looks, smells and feels like brand new. I am a Marriott platinum member and I would put this up against any Courtyard or Residence Inn property. Breakfast was included and was very nice!
This hotel is an excellent option in French Lick if you are not staying at the French Lick Springs Hotel or West Baden Hotel, both of which are significantly more expensive. The room was clean, large, comfortable, new with a super nice bed. I definitely did not think "Best Western", which I guess I have a more traditional view of that brand. The check in was smooth (I was given a King bed even though I had booked 2 Queens), and there is a nice free breakfast. There is an on-demand shuttle to the resorts which are a 3-5 minute drive. You could walk to the Casino if the weather is OK. All in all, this is a great value if you want to enjoy French Lick golf, casino, etc. and pay about half what the resorts charge for a very nice hotel..
I'm usually satisfied with Best Western, wherever I stay. The free hot breakfast always starts the day off great. The only problem this time was the keyless entry card. It was always a fight to open any door Also, since it rained for three days, I would have liked to swim in the pool, but it was closed.
Overall this was a really nice hotel and conveniently located near the downtown. If you are not staying at the big French Lick resort, this is a great alternative. Not really within walking distance but two minutes from the casino and the town. The breakfast had a nice selection and the staff was First Class!
The People at the desk were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and complete. Parking was ample and the room was clean. I called down for service and immediately received it. They left additional towels on our door the night before we needed them. You usually have to ask for towels. We were very pleased.
Hotel was very clean. Staff was great. Everywhere you wanted to go was close by. We had a king room and it was very big and comfortable. Beds were also comfortable. Check in was easy. Enjoyed our stay.
We really liked this hotel--very clean and roomy. Still feels new. Beds extra comfy with lots of pillows. Good TV. Fridge & microwave came in handy. Very cold fridge. Cooling system also worked great--like new. Nice staff. Overall, a very good deal. We stayed in room 117, right near the front desk. No problems at all. We'll be back.
Pleasant overnight stay here while visiting French Lick-West Baden sites. Very quiet even though we were not far from elevator. Would be better if breakfast hours extended a little longer; we missed partaking.
Nicely appointed new hotel. Check in went smoothly. First night room was very nice and bed comfy. However the room being cleaned daily is lacking. Next day returned to our room it had not been serviced. Went to front desk seeking fresh towels and coffee not even an apology. Chaulked that experience to an oops. However next day returned to room and it had not been vacuumed, bed very messy pillows in the middle of the bed, no cups or coffee restocked. Towels again not properly restocked. Trash was emptied, guess that is a cleaned room. Again to front desk for towels and coffee. Again no apology just a comment from the staff stating it was checked off as being done. Expected far more
We decided to stay here after Holiday World because the hotel is new, had a pool open until 11pm, fridge, microwave, and free breakfast...all for $101. Upon arrival the woman (jerry?) Was friendly, fun, and engaged with my son making him even more excited...as if possible :) she offered us hot beverages and was very helpful with small things we needed (paper plates forks) the pool is fun....small but just big enough for big splashes. Note...the shallow end is quite deep for kids so pack swimmies or a ring for those who need them under age 6...the pool room is so warm getting out of the pool...so nice. Breakfast had bacon...need we say more? The hotel manager...forgot her name was nice and truly seemed to care about her guests. We checked out the brochure rack and decided to hit marengo cave even though 40 minutes out of our way home. We were so glad we did....we had a great time and wonderful 48 hour vacation. Well be back....:)
Let's face it - people don't go to French Lick, In., - home of two beautifully restored resort hotels - to stay in a Best Western or any other brand motel. But if you have to do so, and both resorts were booked when I was there, the Best Western is a pretty good option. The Best Western Plus is clearly new construction with a hint of the smell of new construction - not a bad thing. We had a spacious suite. It featured a small sitting area and two comfortable queen bed with nice linens. It was very nice and spacious for one night and $189 - plus taxes. The complimentary breakfast was no better than any brand motel along an interstate but that's looking for a nit-pik.
I am very hard t please when picking out a motel room. Hit the jackpot this time. Couldn't find a thing to complain about. Will definitely stay there the next time we are in French Lick Indiana. Excellent full breakfast every morning and staff were all friendly an helpful. Convenient to the Casino which is right across the street. The price was definitely right.
Stayed here for two nights. Place was clean, quiet and very affordable! Rooms were large and shower had great pressure/hot water. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was best I've had at hotels. Thank you for fantastic experience! We will be back!
Breakfast was good, and the pool was clean. The staff was very nice and hard working. The décor was plain, but the room was clean and well appointed. The hotel is located on the other side of the tracks away from the main streets of French Lick, so you have to drive there.
Can't say that I have stayed at a Best Western for a while but I sure hope they are all like this one. This must be very new. It looked new and smelled new. Very clean and quiet. Accommodating staff. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay here again without reserve
We held our family reunion here and manager and staff went out of their way to meet our needs. The rooms were spacious and pleasant, the location was convenient, and from the pool to the big gathering rooms to the washer and dryer, we had everything we needed.
The hotel was great but the staff made the stay even better. From the front desk to housekeeping, they went above and beyond for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The room was clean. The breakfast was delicious.
Rooms were lovely - ADA room especially convenient for "grandma and grandpa." The staff was efficient and friendly -- the breakfast wonderful -- allowed us to have a pizza supper one night and a birthday party on another. We will sing the praises of this hotel and French Lick to our many friends.
This is an above par Best Western based on its' location. Everything was very clean and in order. The cost of rooms was higher than most. Shop competitor as competitor is nice as well. This hotel should consider a competitive price.
Nice place. Close to casino. Shuttle took us to and from casino. Had in door pool. Nice breakfast. Couldn't have asked for more. $100 cheaper than staying at French lick resort. We will be back when we have the time.
We got a room here at a decent rate via Hotwire. It was reviewed well from what I saw and I don't disagree with the items I've seen. The workers and friendly and helpful. The standard 2 Queens (at least #228) is spacious with comfortable beds and pillows, chair and ottoman, desk and chair, dresser and table, a microwave and mini-fridge with counterspace across from the bathroom, and a shower with good lighting, pressure and hot water. The wifi has been very good as well. Among the reasons I only rate the hotel as a "4" is that our AC was adequate in maintaining pressure and has an option for continuous fan, but its noise was noticeable for me during the night when the AC cycled on and off in spite of the fan running throughout. I also could hear footsteps from someone in the morning that sounded like they were stomping around, not sure if they were a neighbor or above us, but it did serve as my wake-up call. Our view out the window was simply of the roof of what I believe is the pool facility. Also, although we didn't get to use the pool area due to a kid under the weather, the pool appeared to be smallish and there wasn't a hot tub / whirlpool available which my bride would have appreciated. Finally, the breakfast layout was congested and difficult to maneuver as a fare number of folks seemed to try to eat at the same time (due to my kids, we didn't make it down until 8:30 and during regular weekdays it concludes service at 9:00). Overall, they do a nice job with the product they offer and its a good value at the price we got, but there are a few minor things that prevent me from rating it a "5".
I enjoyed staying at this hotel. This was my 2nd trip to the area in 4 weeks, so my group decided to stay here again since we enjoyed it the first time. The room was spacious, and the breakfast was delicious.
This is a hidden little gem. The staff was great and the rooms were very clean and comfortable! Breakfast was above average. We decided to stay here because it was close to Patoka Lake and French Lick.
Great Hotel, the best in the area for them price! I will recommend the Best western french lick Indiana to everyone. There may be nicer in the French Lick area, but for the money you can't beat this hotel.
We enjoyed our stay here. Room was nice, clean and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Close and convenient to the places we were going. We will definitely return if we are back in the area.
This is the place to stay when in French Lick and any other cities that have this hotel chain. We had a very nice room, with plenty of storage places and very clean. Comfortable beds, easy to use cooling unit, nice sized tv and there were even plenty of towels for our use.The hot breakfast was awesome. Best I have ever had while staying in a hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel chain to anyone traveling. I hope that everyone can enjoy this place sometime. Really hope that anywhere we decide to mini vacay....there is a BEST WESTERN nearby.
Clean, comfortable hotel with friendly staff and nice continental breakfast. I'd recommend staying at this hotel if visiting French Lick, IN. Price is affordable especially when compared to the local resort hotels.
This was our first stay at the Best Western Plus in French Lick, IN. I requested several special needs which were provided to us and made our stay quite comfortable. The employees at the desk went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay a pleasant one. And the breakfast was fantastic!
This hotel is nicely updated with very comfortable beds and loads of fluffy pillows! Rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. It is conveniently located .5 mile from the heart of French Lick. The daily breakfast is free and included eggs, waffles, bagels, fresh fruit, cereal and more. We would definitely stay here again.
Hotel excessed my expectations. Decor very appealing. Nice and very modern rooms. Front desk employees were very nice and friendly. Checked in early with no problems!!! Pool was nice and open till 11p. Breakfast area is very roomy and clean.
Best place to stay, very clean rooms..I love the show, Hotel Impossible and couldn't find anything wrong, and I looked, lol..Very nice people at front desk. Cleaning gal very nice. We had plenty of towels, wash cloths. We got a king room and it was huge, bed was so comfortable. Love the way it was set up. Free breakfast was wonderful. Great mini vacation. We will stay here again.
Very nice hotel. All the staff were professional and friendly. Room was a King suite and it was huge. Plenty of room. Breakfast was very good. Clean and well maintained. Hotel was in a perfect spot to visit all of French Lick offerings. I would recommend this hotel to all looking for a clean, nice hotel.
Hi to all! I stay in hotels every week while on business, and also often while on personal travels. I found the French Lick, IN BW Hotel to be very clean, had a very courteous and helpful staff, and also one employee stood out as very personal and clearly a fine gentleman. Harry, it was a pleasure to meet you. Your knowledge of the area was superb, and when I travel to the area again I will most definitely stay at your hotel, because of how you clearly love your job and the hotel that you work for! I loved your positive attitude and you were enjoyable to talk with!
My husband and I wanted a relaxing short trip. We got that at this hotel. It was quiet and was surrounded by great scenery. Beautiful hotel! Very clean and pretty. The room was very nice with refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for sure.
This is one of the very best hotels I have had the pleasure of staying! Super clean, perfectly located to all attractions, super friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast!!! Best night sleep ever at a hotel!!! Although my husband and I were only there for the weekend, we plan on bringing the family back to spend more time in French Lick, and will definitely stay at this Best Western Plus!!
We had and excellent time. New and beautiful building, friendly helpful staff, etc. So close to all the things you wish to see and do. We shuttled back and forth to all the properties including French Lick Resort, The French Lick Winery and The West Baden Hotel. A fantastic time.
This was the best hotel experience we've ever had, and we travel frequently. It was a wonderful value & an extremely pleasant place. The staff & the breakfast were great, and the facility was beautiful. Our room, bed & bath were clean and neat! Using better toilet tissue (but I say that about everywhere) & the addition of hot tub for the adults would have been fun. This hotel was a highlight of our weekend visit to historic French Lick, IN.
Yes, it is a very nice facility and great beds, but my overall experience was quite different from others. I reserved my room thru Expedia for 3 nights. First night I had to call as there was only 1 wash cloth in the bath, but there was 9 towels, 3 rolls of toilet paper and a bottle of some spray chemical. So I thought no big deal, the staff brought up some wash cloths. Second night, I came to the room and it had not been serviced, my dirty towels still in the floor. Called front desk and asked for manager. Manager said housekeeping had left for the day and she brought me towels. 3rd evening, I came to the room around 3 pm the room was not serviced and the maid in the hall asked if we wanted some towels and wash cloths. She brought some in and hung them and took away 2 days of dirty towels and the spray chemical and left. So for the two nights the beds were not made, bathroom not cleaned, floor not cleaned. water glasses not replaced. coffee supplies not replaced, trash cans running over. So if you stay one night you will probably think its a great hotel. I guess they are forced to service room for new guests. Stay more nights and you will not be happy. I will just avoid this place in the future. Update- I did the feedback on Best Western Website as I have not had bad service like this in decades of travel. The Manager called after my return home. Offered a discount if I would stay again. This is like getting a discount at a bad restaurant on my next bad meal. The manager said the maid had been reprimaded, for this I feel bad. They may be understaffed.
This hotel is the perfect choice for visiting French Lick but not paying the high prices of the two resort hotels. It is a half mile up the road from French Lick Springs, and there is a shuttle that will take you there so you can have the best of both worlds. Excellent amenities, wonderful staff, yummy breakfast, and super-comfy beds are what you can expect when you stay here!
At 5'9" I had to stretch to get onto the bed. We had to use a stool and the ice chest for much shorter companions in their 80's. Not enough luggage carts or racks. An excellent property but cut to many corners in customer satisfaction.
You can never go wrong with staying at a Best Western Hotel. I've yet to stay at a bad one. This one was no exception. The staff went above and beyond for our group and accommodating all of us. Being a HOG member gets you a discount at BW's but these guys gave each bike a Harley/French Lick towel to wipe our bikes off with and take home with us. The staff went out a head of time and got us drinks to have with our pizza for our evening party when we arrived. They had it in the fridge - cold and ready for when we arrived. I've never seen a hotel staff do that before for any of our trips. THANKS from Fox River HOG Chapter!
The staff was extremely nice, hotel was very clean, beds very comfortable. Problems stimmed from lift at pool, no walk in shower. Family member in wheelchair and some things were not met to help her stay better
The hotel is worth the money, staff was excellent. Pool area very nice and overall look of the hotel was upscale. The breakfast was full course meal many options to choose from. The location of the hotel was close to all downtown attractions and shopping.
Our second stay and loved it as much as the first. Very quiet and the hotel is fairly new and still smells new. We come this way periodically and this will be our hotel choice in this area . Thank you and your staff. All the staff were very courteous and very helpful.
This was a very convenient hotel to activities in the French Lick area. It was clean, and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of items and plenty of places to sit and eat. I would highly recommend this hotel to family and friends
Wanted to stay in the French Lick/West Baden area, but didn't want to pay the resort prices, so booked the Best Western and it did not disappoint. The exterior was very clean, well manicured, pretty blooming rose bushes. Check in was a breeze, with very helpful front desk staff. They had assigned us a 3rd floor room and I asked if we could have a ground floor. In a flash the room assignment was changed. The room was very spacious, with a comfortable lounge chair, large computer/desk area, fridge, microwave, comfy king bed. The bath area was well appointed, easy to maneuver, and had a great shower. Plenty of counter space surrounding the sink. Very sound proof. The complimentary hot breakfast the 2 mornings we stayed were very adequate. Fitness room was small, but had several machines. Overall a very nice stay.
My family and I stayed here for a wedding. We had 6-7 rooms that were wonderful. The staff was very helpful and they were always smiling. I can't call out just one or two people because every staff member I came into contact with was awesome. They let us hang out in the breakfast area, until way into the early morning hours, so we could all visit and catch up. This is my second time staying here and I will for sure be back! Thx!!
I managed to snag a last minute reservation. Had excellent service, room was very clean and I enjoyed my stay. Also had a great selection of Continental breakfast available at 6am which is nice because this was during the week travel for work.
This was my first stay at this Hotel. It was 1000% more than I was thinking it would be.... The place was clean... GREAT price. Just a short ways away from everything. They even have a bus that will come to the Hotel, pick you up and return you back for free, will about free, you should tip the driver.
This hotel is just outside of the business area of town.. That is a plus and minus. There is nothing within walking distance, but it is nice and quiet. The room was comfortable. Breakfast selection was good and kept fresh and well stocked. We enjoyed the little snack shop for an evening treat. The staff was helpful with directions and recommendations.I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I am in the area.
Stayed on a Saturday night 4/23/16. Girlfriend and I were in town to do some hiking at the Hoosier National Forest and just needed a place to stay. I initially looked at the resort/casino but rates there were pushing $250. Priceline charged me $119 plus taxes and fees, which is more than reasonable for a Saturday night. Hot breakfast was a huge plus Hotel seems to be relatively new Room has a small fridge and microwave Wi-fi is complimentary The resort is just a few minutes away for a drive, and from there you can take the trolly to West Baden. At nearly half the price of the resort while just being minutes from the action, I'd highly recommend this hotel.
great clean room every one on staff friendly close to casino and resorts far enough from noise and traffic when you are ready for sleep bed was comfortable room was clean great little fridge large walk in shower
We had a great stay here! The staff was friendly and helpful with our questions. Our room was very clean and neat, bed was very comfortable. Nice pool and close to everything! We would stay here again!
The staff was professional, room was spotless. No complaints at all! We were on our little summer family trip and needed somewhere to stay on our last day. The beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was spotless. I have never seen a spotless hotel bathroom. Will go back!
It was quite pleasant, the bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Best Western will be my first choice when I go back to French Lick Indiana..
We stayed 2 nights on April 5th and 6th,2016. The room was very clean and the breakfast was great. We will stay here again on our next visit to french Lick. All the staff we had interactions with were great, especially the lady that was in charge of the daily breakfast.
We did not spend much time at the hotel as our family had rented a cabin nearby. However it was a great place to bring all the kids to swim. The hotel is relatively new, and they are doing a great job of keeping it clean. Our sleep was restful and the hotel was quiet the three nights we stayed, though crowded. The breakfast was what you would expect. The staff was very helpful from our first contact with Vera Hall, to getting extra towels, and helping us find our way around town. Very friendly people!
We had a suite with an adjoining room. We loved the rooms. We had plenty of space...everything was very clean. Suite had a full kitchen, and a separate bedroom and "living area." Negatives would be that the pool was small and no hot tub. (they didn't advertise there is one, I was just surprised. We also didn't arrive until 4:30 and our room wasn't ready so that was disappointing. Be prepared for that if you need to change for another event. They did hurry to get things ready for us and were very nice. I would stay again--the space and cleanliness was A+ and made up for the wait.
We did not spend much time here as our family had a cabin rented in the woods. However, it was a great place to bring all the kids to swim, and a nice place to lay our heads. We would recommend it to travelers as it was very clean.
- Amazing beds - Pillows and comforter amazing - Adjustable heating/cooling in room - Hottest shower ever. Doesn't run out. - Clean - Close to town but far enough away to be peace and quite. - Amazing staff - Tasty breakfast with several options - Only wish they had a hot tub - Worth the money
This is by far the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. Check in was a breeze, she (wish I could remember her name) was kind and courteous. The room was hugh, clean and modern. The grounds are well kept as well as the building. The bed was very comfortable just the right amount of softness. I highly recommend staying here. We are already planning a return trip on the motorcycle.
I highly recommend staying at the Best Western. Everyone in our family had a wonderful time. The atmosphere, room, pool and common areas are clean. Staff very focused on GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. We will definitely be back again.
We traveled to French Lick for our one year wedding anniversary! When we showed up their was ample amount of parking and they had spots for people that were pulling boats or trailers in general and the outside of the building looked very nice and newly built! When we came inside the inside interior was very nice and the staff was very prompt! When we got up to our king suite they had provided a bottle of French Lick White wine for our anniversary after I had requested on my reservation that it was our anniversary and if they could do something special I would appreciate it! The room was very clean and they provided a clean remote in a "clean remote" sleeve. The bed was very comfy and the hotel was quiet in general. The water was very hot the night we checked in but the next morning the water didnt stay hot lomg due to so many people showering. When we woke up the next morning to go down for breakfast there was quite a nice selection to choose from like: cereal, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, muffins, bagels, make your own waffle and make your own omelet. The gravy for the biscuits was cold and had to wait a few minutes for bacon because it was out. We did visit during spring break week so it was fairly busy! The swimming pool looked nice although we didn't go swimming and they had a nice fitting room and business room! All in all it was a very enjoyable visit!
This hotel still smells new. Great location, if you plan on going to train, casino, or water park. You could stay here and then just pay the daily entrance fee to the big splash park. The water park hotel is yucky!! This place is super nice and has a pretty good selection for breakfast. Also , they have a pool. I would stay again.
This hotel was very nice, beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the pool was nice. I'll definitely be back to explore around town. We went to the casino, but there is lots to do, wineries, theater, zip lining, go carts and much more. Said holiday world was close.
This facility provided excellent customer service and a great continental breakfast. Housekeeping was very accommodating. Pool was nice and warm. Décor was very appealing to the eye. The facility was clean and the rooms provided all necessary essentials
My family and I stayed the entire week of our spring break .We were very impressed with this hotel. Our room was very clean .The bed felt amazing .It had a full breakfast ,which is something you rarely find! The lady who was doing the breakfast although was very busy kept a beautiful smile on her face and greeted us politely .She done her job very well. We will be back next year! Keep up the good work.
Our stay here in March was everything you could want from a hotel. It hasn't been open a year yet, so it still has that "new smell". The check-in and check-out was flawless. Everyone working here was very nice. All the areas of the hotel (lobby, breakfast, gym, pool, halls, room) were clean, clean, clean. I have no complaints. We had a mini fridge and microwave with granite bar. Our double queen room also included a big closet, full height mirror, big 39" t.v. on dresser, desk with chair, and a separate chair with side table. Also, the bathroom was large. The outside decor as well as the inside was very pleasing. A 24 hour sundry shop is located by the front desk. If you need anything (forgot-to-pack items to local discounted tickets), the front desk will help you. The free WiFi was strong and fast. The ac/heat unit is awesome! It has an option for the fan to be constantly on! Perfect for that background sleeping noise. In the morning you will be pumped when you see their full hot breakfast. I was informed by the front desk the hotel will be a year old in May of 2016.
I picked this hotel because, frankly, everything else in this price range had unpleasant reviews. The hotel is new and in excellent shape. There is an exercise room and indoor pool. The staff was friendly and the room was spacious and well appointed. I enjoyed my stay and will return if ever in the area.
The room was very clean and nice bed a wonderful breakfast. The lady Gwen that was doing the breakfast was very sweet and helpful. I would definitely stay again. The whole hotel was very clean nice big room. The room was quite didn't hear alot of noise from other rooms. It's very close to town location was good a movie theater next door. They have nice indoor pool but no hot tub. I was impressed by the fact they had real eggs on the breakfast bar and how clean it was.
The room was clean. The decor was lovely. The bed was comfy!!! The breakfast was a perfect variety. I felt safe too. It was a great price and close to what we needed to see. The people were helpful and friendly.
After reading so many great reviews on here, I guess I expected more. I am a best western rewards member, but booked on priceline as the price was much lower for last minute. The staff was okay...but not super friendly. Room was okay, but the shower wall had a hair on it and the door in the bathroom is huge and has to be closed in order to get in the tub. That is a very bad design. Bed was comfortable. There was a smell of cigarettes despite being a smoke free hotel. We saw someone smoking in the pool area. We also had a very rowdy family in the pool area and it ruined our time there. Think one of them might have also had an accident in the pool as there was something brown on the floor in the corner. They were throwing kids in the pool...letting their kids jump, etc. I think hotel management needs to monitor this area more closely. Breakfast was good. I loved the crisp bacon. I will likely return to the Comfort Suites next time. I also was confused when I got a bill under my door even though I had paid in full through Priceline. The desk said that it is routine for them to do that. But I thought I was being charged twice. Hotel has a movie theater next door. It is a short drive to the French Lick Resort and the casino.
This is an excellent facility & the staff is very helpful & friendly. I would definitely recommend this Hotel for anyone traveling on pleasure or business. It is very well located to take in all this very interesting area of Southern Indiana has to offer.
This is a great motel. Very clean and great staff. I used the pool, fitness room and the in room WiFi. It was all very easy to access and a great night on a very comfortable mattress. Breakfast was not just your regular cold breakfast, but a great selection of hot items like eggs, bacon, and waffles.
If you don't want to stay at the more expensive French Lick resort or the West Baden Resort, there are limited options in French Lick. The Best Western is a great, affordable option. The Shuttle is a great perk The Good: This Best Western is fairly new and clean. It's staffed by small town local folks. The location is great, it is less than a mile from the Casino/resort, and there is a shuttle that runs 24 hours if you wanna party. The bed was fairly comfy, the room was huge and had an accessible shower if you need that type of thing. The complimentary breakfast was better than most hotels in this price range. The Bad: the accessible shower doesn't have a door, and the curtain doesn't hang down to the ground, so it lets LOTS of water into the floor. This could probably be remedied with a longer curtain, but it could be an issue for some people. I assume that most rooms do not have this feature. Recommendation: I would definitely stay here again if I find the need. It is close to everything, quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff as well.
Great hotel at a pretty decent price. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful! Clean and modern. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're in the area.
excellent hotel. Great pool. good breakfast except the coffee was bad--from a machine, not freshly brewed. Room size good. Very quiet area--no noise. Easy access to french lick activities. Entrance not well marked.
Good location for casino, only a half mile or so. Very clean, well kept. Good breakfast for the price, good service. Have stayed before and will probably return. Did not use pool but saw several kids having fun.
We wanted to stay at the historic resort down the road but when it was sold out, we decided to stay at the Best Western. I was worried because I'd never stayed in one before, but the reviews all said it was nice and new and it was. The suite we had was very large and comfortable with a full kitchen, which we were not expecting. It was a little noisy and I suspect there's not enough insulation and/or was cheaply made, as we could hear people walking above us at all hours. The breakfast was good with plenty of choices. The indoor pool was fun for the kids too. I really appreciated that they had one of those water bottle fillers downstairs so you didn't have to purchase bottled water. My only complaint, aside from the noise, is that we were told upon booking that we'd receive discount vouchers for Paoli Peaks lift tickets but when we arrived they said they didn't have any. I feel like they could have done more to accommodate us on this front, but it did not make or break our trip. If we were to visit French Licks again, I would seriously consider staying here versus the historic resort based on price, convenience, and the amenities.
We stayed at the Best Western Plus and was joined by our son who is in the military. We got a room that was a 2 room suite which worked great for our family. It had plenty of room, was clean and modern. The staff was very helpful, honest, and ensuring that our stay was great. Breakfast was good and well maintained - staff was always making sure it was well stocked, clean, and ready.
We are a loyal Hilton Honors family who is impressed with this property! The Resort was sold out so we chose this hotel based on the TA reviews. It's new, fresh and clean. I called two days prior to our arrival to request that our three rooms be together and if for some reason all three couldn't be together, at least two, since we were traveling with my 85 year old grandfather...and he can't be trusted on his own! They did manage to only get 2 of the rooms together, and one of them was on the complete other end of the hallway. The rooms were large and clean! King beds with a chair and ottoman. The bed was comfortable, but I would have liked an additional blanket available. The kitchenette had a fridge, coffee maker, microwave and sink. The bathroom was spacious with only three towels (this is a pet peeve of mine for ALL hotels). The room temperature was hard to regulate. It was either too cold or too warm, we never could get it right! Breakfast was better than most-eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles and the typical continental choices. This is an excellent choice when visiting French Lick. It's a five minute drive to the resort and they will run a shuttle to the casino. Again, we were impressed with this Best Western and would recommend and choose to stay here again!
This hotel is basically brand-new but it's wonderful especially for the rate I paid. The bed was very comfortable and I am very picky when it comes to beds. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the French Lick area. You will not be disappointed.
Very comfortable night stay with lots of family around..The pool was the biggest hit with the younger family members. Breakfast was enjoyable. Both the food and being able to fix what I wanted. Plenty of breakfast options.
Very Beautiful property and super friendly staff. My son & I had a great time! When we weren't out seeing the sights, the room was perfect for relaxing and the pool (although small) was excellent for getting his last bit of energy out before bed. The pillows were a little hard and the breakfast items were cold (it was pretty busy and lids were left open I think), but overall it was great!
Pretty good hotel for a rather cheap fare. Flat screen television, free wireless internet, and free breakfast. The staff was extra friendly. Hotel is only a year or so old. Its right across the street from the French Lick resort and the main strip for French Lick/ West Baden.
The room was very clean and climate control was very good. The mattress was firm which I like and had plenty of pillow. The bathroom was clean and a massager shower head was nice. Microwave, mini fridge, and coffee pot a definite plus. The décor was very nice. Pool was a little small but had handicap access machine I have never seen that before but a nice touch. Work out room was sufficient did not use it but look up to date. The best was breakfast hot and yummy, I would go back for that alone. I was very impressed with my stay and would come back if in town.
The trip was to spend time with my granddaughter. The pool area was very nice and comfortable. The rooms were nice, spacious. Had a small fridge, microwave and coffee pot, which was nice. The staff was ok, quiet, just watched, not really outgoing. Would answer questions if you asked.
My friend and I traveled to French Lick to meet with a friend, enjoy the Christmas decorations and of course to gamble a bit! We originally wanted to stay in the French Lick Springs hotel, which I would have had comped from playing at the casino, but they happened to be sold out on the 19th and so we looked for other hotels in the area to stay at and Best Western had the best prices available at the time (during the busy holiday season) and was also very close to the casino. Upon our arrival, we didn't notice the first entrance to the hotel, because it was dark and we ended up taking the back way in. They really should get a lighted sign by the street to make it easier to find!!! It was also a nice treat to see the Polar Express passing by in the distance as I waited under the canopy for my friend to get us checked-in. When viewing the hotel from the outside, we had both remarked about how 'new' the hotel looked and when we finally stepped inside felt exactly the same. The inside of the hotel is clean, bright and modern. When we went into our room we were happy to find that it was also very clean, spacious and had a comfortable bed that we sunk into! Our desk had a lighted makeup mirror--a feature that I loved and the other corner of the room had a comfy armchair and ottoman. Our room had both a microwave and refrigerator. Everything was nice for the most part... What I did not enjoy very much (and the reason why I only gave four stars) is the bathroom. Our bathroom didn't have a lot of open space. As a claustrophobic person, I had to prop the bathroom door open with the trashcan while I was inside, because the closed door and the wall were right in my face. Another thing that I didn't like was that there was only a shower in the bathroom. The stall was big enough, but didn't have very many places to store my products. The shower head wasn't very good and had limited spray settings and the shower overall was weak. What I did like about the bathroom, however were the shelves in front of the entrance to the bathroom which allowed for easy storage of both my friend's items and my own things. The last drawback that I found while staying here (a very minor one) is that they do not have a hot tub. I love hot tubs! They only have a pool. If the bathroom weren't an issue and if they had a hot tub it would have been absolutely perfect for me!
Our stay at French Lick's Best Western was the best! Such a beautiful setting and accommodations. The staff was helpful and the breakfast was the best! We will certainly visit this Best Western again!
Stayed here with the family for polar express. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly! The room was big and the beds were comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Nice pool. Great price. Will definitely stay again!
Great addition to French Lick. Stayed at all hotels around the area and think that this hotel is a nice place to stay as any, Price is much more affordable then the resort and a great breakfast was included. It is close to everything French lick resort and casino hotel put the waterpark hotel to shame,
Hotel was very full throughout the week and they did a great job on keeping it clean, keeping up with all the breakfast items. Friendly staff and always helpful. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area. It is very clean, bed was comfortable.
I'm guessing this is a fairly new property. There is not one bad thing to comment on. Staff was friendly. Rooms are large with plenty of well placed outlets. Lovely linens and pillows. Mini fridge and microwave along with in room coffee. Lighted makeup mirror in bathroom. Breakfast had several hot choices. Can't wait to stay again!!!
The hotel was brand new & affordable, plus very close to the casino. Signage was poor, difficult to find. Front desk staff was not very friendly when we arrived , but the late night shift gal was wonderful and helpful! Not a bad option when staying in French Lick, especially if you have kids. They have an indoor pool and breakfast is included.
The price was very reasonable especially considering what all you got. It wasn't your typical pop tart an cold cereal breakfast. They had fresh cut fruit, a waffle maker, eggs, sausage, bacon and the list goes on. We had a suite, and it was the biggest room we've ever stayed in. Only down side was that is only had a shower and with kids we would have preferred a tub. Staff was great and it was very clean.
Very clean and affordable hotel. My husband and I stayed here with my son and his family while we did the Polar Express. Great location, breakfast was outstanding and the beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean (and I am very picky)
Had a great experience in this hotel, from check in to check out. Room was very clean, very spacious and very well priced. Would definitely stay there again if ever in the area. Was very close to all attractions and area restaurants. Breakfast was above average.
Very Good trip and nice hotel. Easily located, Very clean rooms, very clean kitchen facilities, and clean pool area and restrooms. Employees were very friendly. The price a little more than we wanted to pay, but it was a very busy weekend in the City, but we were still going to stay there.
This is a new hotel with new everything, so the beds were comfortable and everything was shiny and clean. Good full breakfast was offered, as well. Located close to the French Lick and West Baden luxury hotels, where you can enjoy restaurants, spa services and glamour.
Great hotel. Good value, comfortable, very clean and conveniently located near many attractions in French Lick, Indiana area. Friendly and helpful staff. Kids enjoyed the pool and breakfast options. Our family had a great time spending a long weekend here.
This is a lovely new hotel and in a close proximity to all available places to visit including the casino. The breakfast room has a wonderful assortment for everyone. Love those waffles and toppings. I have been to this location on 2 different trips and both times we were greeted by a smile and asked if there was anything else they could help us with. I have spoken well about this Best Western to everyone I know traveling this direction.
Booked this through Trip Advisor based on the great reviews and we were not disappointed. The deal price available through Trip Advisor was the same as AAA prices. The hotel is new so everything is in good shape. Rooms are vary spacious with high ceilings. Bed was very comfortable. Thermostat in the room was very responsive and the ac/heat was quiet and efficient. Bathroom was nice and clean and everything was in top shape. Staff was friendly and helpful. They offer hot breakfast from 7-10 every morning but we did not check that out. They have complimentary tea and coffee 24 hours. High speed internet is available in the guest rooms. One thing we missed that is available at the bigger hotels in French Lick was the in room movies. The price difference between this hotel and The French Lick Resort or West Baden make that small inconvenience well worth it. This hotel is just a couple of minutes away from the Casino and convention center, the indoor water park, and the middle of town where restaurants and other fun activities are. Chicago Pizza is our favorite place to eat in French Lick - check it out!
This Hotel was great. Very Clean. Staff was very Friendly and Helpful. We stayed for 1 night but would have stayed more if we didn't need to get home. The breakfast was just right. The fresh fruit was a great plus. The bed was very comfortable. Would Highly recommend this Hotel.
My wife and I were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is new. Finished in May of 2015. The room we had was very nice, plenty of room and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. They serve a hot breakfast in the mornings that is included. The food was very good.
Stayed at this hotel after enjoying a trip on the "Polar Express". My preschooler loved the indoor pool - it was chlorinated and very clean and there were none of those "drive you from the room" chemical smells that some indoor pool areas have. The room was spacious, staff was very friendly, the beds were super comfy and breakfast was yummy. If I had any complaint at all - it doesn't have much for "walkablity" around the area (except the movie theater), but that's no fault of the hotel - some wisely placed sidewalks and cross walks would do the trick.
This was a beautiful location and still smelled new. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast area was large and had an even larger selection of breakfast items than is normal for a Best Western Plus.
We had a room reservation in October 2015 for one night stay The hotel was very nice and very very clean. Only a mile away to the French Lick Hotel Resort/casino. Would stay here again. Staff was pleasant, and breakfast selections had so many types of food to choose from.
We stayed at this Best Western on October 23rd. It is the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed in. It opened earlier this year and everything is fresh and we thought up scale for the price. The room was spacious, well appointed and quiet. Bed was comfortable! Loved the lighted magnifying mirror to apply makeup. Breakfast choices were good with both hot and cold foods and actually some fresh sliced fruit. Less than 5 minutes to downtown. We would definitely stay again if in the area.
This hotel smelled of cigarette smoke in the hallway. Nasty. We wanted an additional room but were told that housekeeping had failed to clean all of the rooms that had been vacated that day. The facilities here very nice. New hotel, new amenities and comfortable environment. Needs better management.
This was a newer hotel, built in May of 2015, I believe. It was very clean and modern. It was very close to the casino, restaurants, Catholic church, etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here again if we're in the area.
Our room was bright and clean, plenty of lighting for evening reading. The staff were available and had a "ready to serve" attitude with knowledge of the area. The breakfast was total, with really reasonable cost per night.
My husband I spent 2 nights here. We wanted a relaxing anniversary weekend and this hotel was perfect! The staff were very nice and the breakfast was pretty tasty. Everything was clean and orderly. We will stay here again when visiting the area!
Conveniently located, well maintained and excellent value. We also felt that the rooms were more spacious that at other hotels The breakfast was included and the offering was fresh and a good variety. The staff was very attentive.
This being a new hotel left little to complain about. Our stay began with a very nice greeting from Mercedes. Most hotels make you feel as though you really shouldn't be there bothering them. This is why i seek out best western hotels. Mercedes made us feel like family. My only disappointment was breakfast. There were many things to choose from, however most were old or poor quality the eggs were inedible the biscuit and gravy were tolerable but definitely not made daily. Bacon left in grease. The women taking care of breakfast appeared to be doing their best to provide a good meal I just don't think they had much to work with. There appeared to be a chef there one day of our stay in August 2015 trying to help but the next day still the same. This should in no way discourage you from staying here you wont be disappointed.
We opted for a short fall getaway to F. Lick and stayed here for 2 nights during the week. It was easy to find, a newer build, great service, quiet during our stay on the second floor (3 floors total) and a well appointed & attended breakfast area. We hadn't stayed at a BW property for many years and were impressed with this property. Close to F. Lick casino and local restaurants. Our cost was extremely reasonable and a most comfortable king size bed. A block off the highway so no noise of any kind here. Would definitely stay here again!
We couldn't have been more comfortable. The staff was available at all times and friendly, even though we didn't need anything extra. Everything was available without asking. Originally, we wanted to stay at the French Lick resort....but this was better. Less busy....and we still enjoyed the French Lick meals and casino.
Great.good location clean rooms everything as it should be would stay there any time that i needed goos place to end a long drive, Peasant and nice place to stay.Would recomend to any that wanted a nice place to stay
I am by no means snooty but it has been a very long time since I've stayed at a Best Western. I usually stay at one of the casino resorts but they were sold out. So I checked tripadvisor and it had this very new hotel listed as number 1 so we tried it. I think it took me literally ONE minute to check in. The parking lot and grounds are well lit. The hotel is very nice and clean. Honestly, when I stepped foot into the room, I thought it was just as nice as the higher end hotels. It was very spacious and comfortable. I will definitely be back!!!!
We spent three nights here and loved every minute! Friendly staff, especially Vera, at the front desk, but each lady that took care of the morning breakfast, was outstanding! From the lobby to our room on the third floor, this place is clean and spacious. Our room, 309, was very roomy with fridge and microwave, and large closet. We never heard a door slam or next room people talking the whole time! This will definitely be our place to stay in French Lick. It is located just minutes from the casino, grocery stores and fast food restaurants. The entrance road to this motel is not marked at all, so finding it at night is very difficult, but once you know where to turn, it's a piece of cake.
You won't be disappointed in any way that you've chosen to stay at this particular hotel. Staff is attentive. Service is excellent. Food is above average. Cleanliness is a priority. Location easy to find.
I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was very nice and definitely worth the money. The room was clean and comfortable. We used the pool, fitness center and the continental breakfast. All was very nice, clean, and orderly. The breakfast was delicious and abundant.
Nice hotel in that it is close to Patoka Lake. We are Best Western card members, and enjoy adding points to our card with this clean, reliable chain. It is usually very reasonable, and serves a nice breakfast.
the hotel was new, clean and breakfast was very good. great location, perfect place for a friends and family get away. would recommend this hotel to anyone. pool was nice, friendly staff. Centrally located to French Lick and West Badin hotels.
The hotel was very nice and clean. Would stay here again if ever visiting French Lick again. Beds are very nice and comfortable, and the amenities in the room were great. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Convenient, clean, efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. Not in the center of town but well located on the edge. Friendly staff, ample parking, nice to adequate buffet breakfast area. Exceeded expectations.
We had never stayed in a Best Western before. The hotel is great and we were extremely happy with our room. The front desk staff was wonderful and very helpful. They got us set up with their Rewards program. Breakfast was very nice. We will be back!!
The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. We brought our two young sons 5 and 3 and they had such a nice time swimming and relaxing they were crying when we had to leave.
Wonderful accommodations, upon arriving without reservations they found us a room in Jasper Indiana. We stayed in Jasper one night and came back to this location the next night. Awesome Staff, best continental Breakfast, new hotel, very welcoming and well maintained.
I usually stay in Hilton or Marriott properties, but this was a delightful surprise. This hotel was new (2 years old) and very nice. It was modern, the breakfast was hot (not just pastries and coffee), and the staff was helpful and cheerful. I really enjoyed this stay!
Lovely hotel. Brand new. Large rooms, comfortable bed, hot breakfast. Great value! Stay here rather than any hotel in Jasper. So much more to offer - so much more customer- focused. Worth the quick drive in.
new, clean . rooms are well layed out and designed. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. The gal doing the breakfast kept things well stocked and clean. Would recommend this as an alternative to the pricier French Lick or West Baden hotels.
Overall the hotel if very clean and comfortable. The check-in staff was accommodating, but did not seem to be very organized. I had to ask for a room key and they could not get my credit card to work after several times trying. Come to find out the front desk attendant was doing it wrong.
We had a great experience in all aspects of this hotel and trip! Definitely will stay at it again. We had an infant and a two year old with us and were accommodated fully. Our kiddos had to take meds due to ear infections and there was a refrigerator to accommodate this need. We had ice packs with us while traveling, but there was no freezer in the fridge. The staff let us use their freezer to preserve our ice packs and this was very helpful. Room was clean, spacious, and exactly what we needed!
This Best Western is a brand new facility. It is located about 1/2 mile or less off the main drag. Clean, comfortable. Nice breakfast options. It is close to the golf course, French LIck Springs hotel, West Baden Hotel, the indoor waterpark, some dining options.
To begin with this hotel is clean as can be. Granted it is brand new but VERY nice. The location is great the breakfast is wonderful . Will stay here again when we are in the area. The only thing we would have liked it a Hot tub.
