"Absolutely stunning"

This Best Western in Fishkill New York is absolutely stunning. We booked the loft sweet and it is amazingly beautiful. Our 14-year-old granddaughter absolutely loved sleeping in the loft which is a second level from the main Bedroom. We did not see this coming and when we ride we were like wow this place is amazing. We will be back. Thank you for such a great stay.

"Lack of attention to room readiness on a cold December day"

Our repeat stay was disappointing. Temperature in the room when we arrived was 47 degrees, and only reached 62 degrees by the time we left. We also arrived to dirty dishes in the dishwasher, and the cycle time was about 3 hours. Also no hangers in the closets. On the plus side: breakfast was pretty good, and desk staff was pleasant.

"Tons of space, a kitchenette, clean, comfortable, and a good price!"

We had a large room with two queen beds, a kitchenette (with full-sized appliances), a sitting area, and a large TV. It was clean and the beds/pillows were comfortable. The bathtub/shower and toilet were in a separate room from the sink and mirror. The free breakfast was good with waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages, hash browns, yogurt, apples, various breads/muffins, bagels, and typical beverages (coffee, tea, juices). All this and the price was cheaper than other basic hotel rooms in the area.

Weird setup. Separate little bldgs. containing 4 rooms. More a motor inn than hotel. You have to walk around outside to access anything in main bldg. Daily housekeeping not provided. Chintzy breakfast.

"Very user-unfriendly layout, especially for handicapped guests."

Nothing on their website warns you that this is not one large building with an elevator or two, as most hotels are, but rather a lobby with 18 different remote two-story buildings that typically have four units down and four units up, which can only be reached via a flight of stairs. I had requested a handicapped-accessible room, which turned out to be over 100 yards from the lobby and reachable via a steep and angled ramp. They did not have any handicapped rooms with a roll-in shower, but that is another issue. There was one handicapped parking space with a clear area next to it by the lobby, and none near my room. I blew off the complimentary breakfast rather than having to drive down to the lobby and back.

My stay was great from start to finish. I checked in/ registered from the link they sent via text. Everything was a breeze. My room was lovely, clean and even came with a kitchenette that included pots and pans. The stay was very friendly and sweet. The only thing that could use some work was the breakfast but everything else was great ! 10/10

"First Trip in 3 Years"

The BW Fishkill was a very nice hotel. The staff was caring and excellent. The shower was narrow and the shower head could have been more directly aimed. The room otherwise was excellent.The layout of the hotel is very unique with a large number of individual buildings housing 4 large rooms on first or second floors. Walkways were direct and parking was close to all rooms. Breakfast was an easy walk away,

"Peaceful and my dogs loved it! Planning to return!"

This was an above average stay. Took my mom and my 2 small poodle mixes (both around 15lbs) for an overnight stay. Experience was peaceful and calm in the room. Very clean, neat and nice modern decorations. My dogs had a place to take their walk and BW staff was so friendly! I would say this was a 3.5 stay but since the staff was friendly and they accepted my pets, I gave them 4 stars. The reason it would otherwise have been less is because there were a few visible cigarette buds on the lawn and the bathroom door was a bit irregular on one side (looked like someone had patched up a hole recently). But good stay! Definitely will return.

We had a great stay. Our room had an upstairs loft with its own washroom, which was perfect. Small but fully stocked kitchen with a living room area. Hotel is comprised of multiple small condos with 4-6 units in each. Really cool. Lots of parking and an outdoor pool.

"Manager calls cops"

I would ever stay here again! The manager that was on was super rude and nasty with all of my friends and family. We rent four rooms for my cousin birthday party. Well next thing you know he is calling the cops on us. When they get there they come to talk to me and my mom who said there no reason for us to be here you guys are not even being loud. And the other guest even said y'all are not being loud. The manager's last name was Chambers he is the only reason I would not ever stay here again‼️‼️‼️

We recently stayed two nights at this property. Its location is wonderful, just off the highway and in close proximity to eateries, shopping, and entertainment. The 2 king loft room we stayed in did, in fact, look like the photos on the website...keeping in mind that everything shines from afar. The room was pleasantly large with a unique set-up and equipped with a full kitchen, 3 televisions, 2 king-size beds (one downstairs, one up), a couch, several chairs, a desk, and two bathrooms. This is an older property, but has been newly renovated, and the fixtures and furniture were all new and quite lovely. The room had seemingly been painted recently, as well. The beds were most comfortable, the shower heads unique, the lighted bathroom mirror a nice surprise, and the televisons wonderful. It's nice to have so much space when traveling. While the hotel had obviously, and per reviews, been recently renovated, it sort of looked like I personally did the renovations, and I am no expert in such areas. The handle on the staircase was sticky, paint was splattered, and the couch quite a bit beat up. Electrical fixtures were not securely attached to the walls, nor were the shower fixtures, which resulted in exposed piping. One of our bathrooms lacked a toilet paper holder. The floors were atrociously dirty, not by first appearance, but they turned our feet black and I went and purchased a wet mop to clean them ourselves. There was a deal of dusting that could be maintained. The kitchen is nice to have, though the refrigerator was too small to fit anything of any size in the main compartment; we had to put all drink items in the door. This could be remedied by rearranging the shelves, but you are unable to open the refrigerator door enough to remove those shelves. The refrigerator was empty, but could have been wiped down and crumbs removed. We did not use the microwave or oven. The plates in the room are too big for the cabinets, though there are plenty to use. Cutlery is lacking. I did not have the need for pots and pans, so I cannot comment on those. Apparently sponges and dish soap are available at the front desk - unfortuately that information was not relayed upon check-in and we purchased our own. Mattresses were clean and new, and pillows very comfortable, as well. Even better sleep quality than in my own home. The outside of the property is likely to deter you. It's a lovely apartment set-up, each unit with its own entrance, but the grounds are littered about and honestly pretty gross. A ridiculous amount of spiders and spiderwebs literally encase the door to your room, so use caution, especially in the evening. They have lovely amenties - an outdoor patio, grills, gazebo, and a pool. Nice touches, indeed. The pool, however, is in major need or repair and, sadly, looked so dirty that I didn't even allow my family to use it, which is unfortunate, because we were certainly looking forward to it. Breakfast was included and was plentiful and tasty. Area wasn't kept as clean as one would expect, but nothing a rag can't wipe up. I received a text after our first night inquiring about the quality of our stay at that point, and repsonded in detail about the filth of the floors and the spiders. I never did receive a reply. (Upon check-out, when asked about our stay, my husband replied with the same information. He was told they were still working out the kinks as far as what products do and don't work on their new flooring.) Housekeeping is not performed during your stay, which was fine with us. We were able to access additional needed items from housekeeping and the front desk. However, upon recieving some requested towels, although laundered, we also received a very giant wad of hair, which obviously did not belong to us and we defintitely did not ask for. All in all, it was a fine stay. It served its purpose, we made the most of it, and enjoyed ourselves. Staff was pleasant. That being said, there would likely need to be improvements made for us to stay again.

First room had wet carpet, splattered doors, dirty floor, toilet paper holder falling out of the wall. Clerk said they'd look into it; manager said we'd be moved when we returned from dinner. Clerk interrupted dinner to tell us we were to move...moved to new room. That room had dirty floor, something sticky all over the bedside table, dirty kitchen counter and backsplash, toilet paper holder and outlet by the bed falling out of the wall, freezer didn't keep ice frozen, iron didn't heat up...TV didn't turn to actually face the bed, so hard to watch, volume on TV didn't go up enough to hear from the bed, lobby women's room didn't have toilet paper all three days we tried it, beverages in the "store" were expired - we were there 22Jul and some were expired back in January!!!! For the price we paid, it was an absolute DIVE. Staff didn't really seem to care about anything brought to their attention. Just horrible! Do not spend a penny!

Amazing hotel experience my children said it was the best stay ever. The breakfast wasn't incredible but the sty was amazing! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful and clean. No concerns at all.

This was my first visit to this Best Western Hotel. Upon our arrival we received a very warm welcome from front desk staff. The loft suite was roomy,open and so comfortable. It can comfortably accommodate a family of 6. Our bed and pillows were very comfortable and we got a relaxing nights sleep. The rooms were spotless which is especially important in the erase of covid. Full kitchen comes in handy if you want to save on meals and they also provide a breakfast bar with sundry muffins,English muffins,cold cereal,etc. A waffle maker is a plus and always very popular. And last but not last an outdoor pool to cool off during those hot summer days. I'll definitely stay again when traveling to the area. I will finish by saying the hotel manager,Mr. Miguel Martinez runs a well oiled machine and maintains a lovely hotel with high standards.

This place has everything. clean rooms, comfortable beds and plenty of space. The continental breakfast was fine. loved the pool, fire pit and barbecue. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Will stay again when I'm up this way.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this Best Western. The property is well kept and maintained. Pool was exactly why I came for the stay and it did not disappoint. The property has a fire pit, sitting area,gazebo,grills to bbq. Everything from Walmart to liquor store to a variety of restaurants is conveniently located near by. There is, also, a movie theater, and, other entertainment in the area. This was overall a great experience.

We booked a wedding room block. We were able to use a suite for getting ready. Used courtyard for a first look & used outdoor space for small quiet after party gathering with wedding party. First impression: dark room, poor distribution, a single light table in a double bed. It has a kitchen with an oven but there is not a single pot to use it. The dishwasher was loaded with things from previous guests. The cleanliness in the room and in the entrance was very poor. The rate is high for what they offer and for the facilities. At breakfast the juice machine was out of order, when I went to ask if they had any bottled juice or any option they told me that if I wanted I had to buy it ! The cleaning is not daily and they leave you only a bottle of shampoo. When I came across the cleaning employee and asked her to replace it, she laughed in my face and pretended not to find it in her cart. Very rude ! There are several options nearby, my recommendation is that you choose another hotel. We would never return!

Staff was friendly and helpful each and every interaction. Brought extra blanket within a few minutes of request. The physcal plant is looking good, but there are hunderds of bumblebees flying around. My waife is allergic to bee stings so was nervous everytime we were outside of unit. Units are large and mostly well appointed. Love the large TV. The price is very good for this type of unit. Breakfast was mediocre, but plenty of it. I would recommend to friends and stay here again myself.

"Noise and privacy"

Hard to find check in area after a hard time finding the hotel. Noise and privacy were problematic. People were tromping up and down the outside stairs all times of the night. They were both drinking and smoking and were very LOUD. And there was no security it seemed to quiet them down.

First time staying here, but it won't be the last! Quick check-in (did a pre-check in from home the previous day), the room was just as I had requested. Not only that, several lights were on in the room when I arrived, so I didn't walk into a dark room - how thoughtful! Room was well appointed, with a full kitchen, a lovely sitting area, a comfy bed, and a huge bathroom. Quiet. Super clean. The desk checked in to see if everything was OK, and did I need anything. And breakfast the next morning? Wonderful! Hot coffee that was good, perfectly scrambled eggs, nice bacon and home fries, make-your-own waffles - and items were replenished frequently. Plus, the usual cereals, yogurt, and fruit cups and fruit juice. Desk staff was super pleasant, and I never felt uneasy taking my dog for a final, late night walk, since the area is VERY well lit! Lots of lighting on the pathways. This is a really great hotel, and I will be traveling back to the area very soon, and you can bet I'll be making a reservation here again!

The room was amazing ! Clean as expected but was huge ! Enough room to relax when there & not feel claustrophobic. The full kitchen was such a plus for a 3 night stay. Location was close to so many amenities & local & state parks etc. Just another awesome experience at Best Western !

"Shooting"

Not the safest feeling establishment, though no problems with the room. There was a shooting during our stay and woke up to police cruisers and crime scene tape. Other guests told us what happened and it was in the newspaper the next day but were never contacted by Best Western.

I booked two rooms here for a wedding weekend. The rooms were for two couples attending a local wedding. These young couples loved the rooms and I loved the price. One couple called me to say this was the best room they ever had. This coming from a well traveled 22 year old.

"Good for larger families"

We stay here when my daughter is playing at Marist college. We enjoy the two rooms, extra bed and bathroom and the use of a fridge and oven of we need them. It is helpful to have a fitness center for workouts when the weather is bad

"Yellow Stains and Small Hairs In Our Bed Sheets"

Great location (only reason for more than 1 star review), however, poor quality control. My family and I stayed at the Best Western in Fishkill for a gymnastics competition. We had a suite with upper and lower-level bedrooms. At the end of a long day, we were getting ready for bed. When removing the covers, my wife noticed yellow stains and what appeared to be numerous pubic hairs. Disgusting! Nothing like hair and body fluid stains in the sheets to give you a good night sleep. When we contacted the front desk, they sent someone up who just handed us some sheets and left. No "Sorry"; No "Is there anything else you need"; No offer to remake the bed etc. The next morning at checkout, I asked to speak with a manager; but was told that they had not arrived yet. I showed pictures of the dirty/soiled sheets to the clerk and asked to have management call me. I am still waiting for a call 2 months later.

Excellent stay at this best western. Room was clean and spacious. It was like staying at your own condominium. I would recommend anyone to stay here. They are also pet friendly. I can not wait to stay here again.

"Very Nice Property "

Very nice stay. Centrally located around all the shopping centers and restaurants. The room was very nice and the staff was also very nice and pleasant. The only 2 problems that my wife and I experienced was that the television in the room did not face the bed. Only faced the living room area. We like to watch television in bed, and could not do this because of the placement. The other problem was that there was only one trash container in the whole room! Should of been at least two or three. Other than that, the room was very nice. Looks like this property was a Residence Inn in the past before Best Western took it over.

I booked this property mainly because I like to stay at new hotels. But the configurations of the penthouse, & that 2nd floor loft, totally exceeded all expectations. The kids loved it. It's new, clean & super cozy! #HiddenGem!

Rented this hotel when coming to NY to do dinner with my son. Was convenient and economical for the price within a good location. Was good that it allowed my sons dog to travel with us as well. Recommend

"Great penthouse suite"

The hotel was fully booked for the weekend but the manager and staff were kind to upgrade our family reservations to a penthouse suite for the same price as our other bookings. We're happy we were able to stay together in the penthouse. It had everything we wanted. It had 2 king size beds and 2 bathrooms, with a small dining table, microwave, oven and dishwasher. This is a pet friendly hotel too. It was clean and the staff were amazing. They had nice free breakfast selection too. The location was great near fast food restaurants and just 5 minutes away from Main Street area.

"Exceeded expectations"

For a family visit over the holidays, we were fortunate to be able to book a “loft suite” for our group of three seniors, all a bit crotchety, especially the one who's a hermit, wants his own room and bath, not willing to pay for it. The loft was perfect for him! Very clean, well-appointed (I made a meal for 6 in the kitchenette), with a delicious complimentary breakfast. Beds are very comfortable. All staff are cheerful, pleasant, and welcoming.

"Fire almars may or may not work?"

Was charged a smoking fee for smoking off the premises and I was told I was smoking in my room when asked how if they have Alarms the general manager said they may or may not work?? And when I said that you can see me on camera outside smoking he said that's did not matter to him. If my clothes smelled like it if I had it on me he said I was gonna get charged and he was not gonna hear anything I had to say

My husband and I needed a little getaway and this hotel was a great pick.It had everything we needed and was comfortable. Also the options of food in the area was amazing! We plan on going back again. Staff was friendly and helpful.

"unparalleled incompetence"

If you want to spend your off time at the front desk straightening out your bill and unauthorized charges then definitely stay here. Because of course there will definitely be a line of people trying to do the same thing.

"Has potential but our room was not clean"

The construction mentioned in earlier reviews has been completed, so the exterior and interior of the buildings were freshly renovated. This property comprised a number of 4-unit buildings, more like an apartment complex than a typical BW motel. Some units appeared to be occupied by long-term tenants (e.g., planters on porches, holiday decorations). The room was quite spacious and the bed and couch were comfortable. The breakfast was typical BW fare of hot and cold choices, with a helpful attendant keeping it replenished. All staff we encountered were pleasant, though not empowered to address our concerns. Unfortunately, housekeeping had not serviced our room other than making the bed. After failing to find another room (the town was booked up!) I asked for cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. At least I knew the bathroom was clean at that point, though the floor in the sitting area was too dirty to have just missed one housecleaning. Despite being told by two front desk people that they would talk to their manager about a discount, I had to follow up after we left to detail our complaint. We were given an apology and a $42 discount off a 2-night stay. I'll leave it to you to decide if that was sufficient compensation for cleaning our own bathroom during a pandemic.

"Place is a mess"

The property is being remodeled and is a mess. In six months it might be nice. There was a nice TV but no seating to watch it from. The floors were dirty. The rest of the room was very clean. The drapes are hung wrong and will not close fully.

I had called the front desk of this hotel the day before my trip to see if I could check in about an hour or two earlier because I was traveling there to attend an event. I was told by an employee to call back in the morning to find out about the possibility of an earlier check-in, but when I called the next day at 8:15am, at 9:00am, and again at 9:30am no one answered the main phone number. It was already time for me to depart for the Fishkill area from my original destination; when I arrived at the hotel, the attendant at the front desk said that a number of people had asked for a late check-out and so, therefore, they could not accommodate a early check in. Needless to say, this was a major issue for me because I arrived in Fishkill after driving for 2 and 1/2 hours. I was told that I could use the bathroom in the reception area to change my clothes. Once I changed, I ended up fixing my make-up and hair while sitting in my car since the reception area bathroom did not have a mirror. I was so put off by the poor customer service and how unwelcoming the front desk staff was that I decided not to return to the hotel even though I had already paid; I preferred to sleep on my friend's couch rather than deal with the poor customer service.

"Twilight Zone"

First off I must say the room was brand new …that is the good part. When trying to locate the establishment it was near impossible. No address or sign on the building ( when leaving the next day notice a “ Best Western” sign covered in white sheets. I'm guessing they are changing) When finally finding our destination I was taken back by the mass destruction of the place. It reminded me of photos of Beirut. When checking in we noticed free breakfast area was in disarray we asked the clerk & she said we could get a bagged breakfast till 9 am the next morning.This place is under massive construction & really should not be open. Light poles down ,uneven pavement , broken rocks & debris. I also noticed that the clientele were a bit strange an example was right next to us. There were about 3-4 gentleman living in the room that had a full BBQ setup with beer bottles & a radio. All night they were going in & out smoking up a storm & loud conversations. I believe it finally ended around 5:30 am. Looking around the property I did see similar setups. Not sure what was going down . Place has potential but I would wait till full renovation is completed.

"Worst piece of property I have ever visited"

I can't start to explain how disgusting this hotel is. It appears that the property is being run like a tenement and the residents are using it like a dumping ground. The property manager/front desk staff did not care. They told me that the property was being renovated but the rooms were brand new. I ignored the trash, beer cans, diapers, lumber, dead bushes, and pieces of the building that were falling off while on my way to my newly renovated room. When I opened the door the smell was so bad that I knew I could not stay there. 12 minutes after getting the keys I went back to the front desk and demanded a refund. The manager insisted that I entered the room so he needs to charge me for the night. I have yet to receive a refund even after calling Wyndham Customer Service. I have since called the local building inspector and local board of health as I hope no one has to be subject to this property. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. If the property was being renovated I could understand the situation but it appears that the renovation has been going on for 3 years and is poorly managed.
