Best Western Royal Inn

The lobby was remodeled and looked great since we were there a few years ago Our room was fine, except for a worn out king mattress. We were told they would be replacing mattresses this summer. The vanity sink is separate from the toilet. The room was clean and met our needs except for the mattress. Good location for leaving Chattanooga and heading west.

The property and room were extremely clean, but a little dated. Manager that checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. Room had a very nice, big flat screen TV. We stayed in Rm 111 as we had our Sheltie with us. There was ample room for us to walk the dog on clean grass. It was very quiet for sleeping and away from the road. We slept great and we would definitely stay again.

Super clean room. Near restaurant and Walmart. close to Chattanooga attraction. renovated room. Good hot water with delicious breakfast. I stayed with my family during break time. Strong wifi. It was an awesome view from the room, I wish they had a gazebo so we could sit with bottles of wine around the mountain.

I had called to inquire about changing the credit card and was treated in such a rude way. I did tell the person that I am Daimond Select and their comment was they can see that. Not acknowledgment, no apology but was very matter of fact and treated me as if I was someone who was inconveniencing them by asking questions. Keep in mind I am a 130 night hotel customer. this is clearly a person who should not be in customer service and made for a very poor experience.

This is an older property that has been renovated. It sits just off the interstate on the west side of Chattanooga. There are a few restaurants near by and a lot more a couple exits before getting to the hotel. If you're traveling by motorcycle most of the parking lot has a pretty good slope on it so pick your parking spot carefully. The staff was very friendly, she told us to park in the handicapped parking since there were no level parking spots available for our motorcycles.

I used to stay at the Best Western in b l ack river falls in Wisconsin. Real was so disappointed at our stay. my wife and my are on vacation and we had a number of choices to stay at at. I just wanted to get back on the road. We are staying at Sheraton suites Fort Lauderdale Florida at Cypress creek. Pluse they gave us the wrong receipt when we checked out. . You have lost my business. To many other places to stay.

This place is wrongly advertised, looks like a motel and not your typical Best Western hotel. The pictures used in the page are not the actual photos of this location. Would not stay in this place ever. A lot of homeless people asking for money and food the second we got out of the car. The room smell was unbearable and bathroom walls were all yellow and running yellow lines to the floor. They basically told us that we had to stay in that room until the next day. We decided to cancel the stay and they charged us for the room that we didn't use. If you want a hotel with better service in the area use Comfort inn.

We were very happy with the experience. The room was clean, good water pressure, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was better than most. I only needed the desk for one thing, an iron, as the room was missing one. Staff quickly got one for us.

We were a little skeptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but we were quite happy that we selected this Best Western over others that were further away. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating, the bed was comfortable, the room was very clean (except for stained carpet), I didn't hear much street noise and slept very well, the location close to Lookout Mountain is excellent. The breakfast was beautiful, but, a different warming method is needed to keep the foods hot or a microwave is needed in the breakfast area to rewarm the food. Overall, we enjoyed our 1 night stay and would select this location again.

Being a member and staying with them rather than another hotel was the saddest customer service experience ever. They offer no help if you call the 800 number and you get an email response from the management team with major grammatical errors and lack of punctuation. Serious lack of customer service and professionalism from Best Western Customer Relations.

This hotel is more like a Motel 6 than a Best Western. You park in front of your room no elevator, room stunk of cigarette smoke, we got out of there as soon as we woke up, not sure if there was breakfast there or not. If it were a restaurant I would not have eaten there anyway.

The quality of the employees was outstanding. They were always polite and answered any questions we had. The rooms were clean, and the toiletries were excellent. I'll look for this brand on the internet because it was great quality.

This was a great location going from north Tennessee back to Texas. Beds were very comfy. Room was very spacious.We did not have time to try the pool, but it looked very refreshing and inviting. Coffee is always great at Best Western

Can I give zero stars? No? Well they are forced to get a better review than they deserve. Paid for a nonsmoking and received a smoking. When we tried to leave and get a refund they said, nope not our fault. Asked for a half refund or even a credit and they absolutely refused. Terrible customer service. We went to a hotel further down the road instead. Much cleaner.

The employee who called me on Saturday 1/14 to discuss the complications with my room was incredibly rude. When I returned to the hotel that night I spoke with the assistant manager up front who was also incredibly rude and unhelpful. After signing further paperwork needed because I am an employee of another BW (with much better customer service skills and employees), I complained about not having ANY hot water in our room and was told "it's off the same broiler and no one else has complained." There were stains and cigarette burns in the sheets. The website's pictures are EXTREMELY misleading. They website advertises 2 queen beds but this hotel only has full beds. I strongly encourage updates to the website to show an accurate photo of the quality (or lack there of) of rooms. As a fellow Best Western employee; I was embarrassed for the company and myself because my guests and I had the room, experience and customer service we did. It was terrible and incredibly distasteful.

Pleasant pet friendly accommodations near restaurants for take out. Good complimentary breakfast, lots of hot water, no carpet on floors, comfortable beds, friendly hardworking staff. It's a little drive to Greenway Farms Dog Park, but we enjoyed driving through Chattanooga. We explored Renaissance Park and noticed many parks along the Tennessee River where dogs are welcome. We chose this location to be near Rock City and we may have had an easier time driving around as it was a holiday weekend.

Hotel was in a convenient location to area attractions and had free hot breakfast included…found hotel and rooms to be dated and could use upgrading…room was clean and maid service appeared good…did have rowdy guests who decided it was ok to squeal truck tires and rev engine repeatedly outside my room at like 5:00 am one morning…not the hotels fault but very annoying.

Nice rooms, clean and decent mattresses. Fairly quiet place wherln we stayed. Friendly staff. Nice hot breakfast eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy as well as other favorites like Waffles, bagels, cereal, juices, coffee.

This hotel property is conveniently located by the interstate. It is within 4 miles of Rock City, Ruby Falls and The Incline. There are restaurants and shopping behind the hotel. The rooms are easily accessible. Very quiet area.

I had to flee a hurricane with my cats, and had a difficult time finding places that would allow them. Many "pet-friendly" places take only dogs. We had a pet room on the first floor, which was nice and clean, though rather dated. I feared that it would smell or I'd find animal hair but that was not the case. Staff were exceedingly nice and friendly. My two complaints are that the parking lot spaces were too small, and that the Coke machine delivered a leaky, dried-up can.

We stayed here as we've been here a few times in our travels. I can see where the hotel has gone downhill. Finding staff has been a problem all over. We were only interested in a place to sleep and didn't take advantage of the breakfast.

Stayed here for a night as needed a stopover on our road trip. Check inn lady was friendly. The room had a musty smell due mainly to the fact you can't open the windows. Breakfast was fine. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Overall ok for a quick stopover.

Our room smelled musty-moldy. I complained, but since I had a small pet, they would not move us. I later realized the smell was from a faulty air conditioner unit, which spewed a musty smell and rattled and clattered all night. No sleep.

I booked a one-night room via AAA at a final rate of $99.65. When I checked out and left my key cards. They never sent a final invoice via email or offered one when in the lobby. A few days later I looked up the charge on my credit card. They changed it to $156.70. When I called the Hotel they stated that this is want AAA authorized. I called AAA they did not. Now we are in dispute. On my return home through Chattanooga I booked a room with Sonesta Select Chattanooga Hamilton Place, $102.53. MUCH cleaner and a nicer staff. NEVER EVER WILL I EVER STAY at Best Western Royal Inn Chattanooga, TN

Exactly what you would expect from a Best Western! Friendly and helpful staff. Clean pool and room. Comfortable beds. Full breakfast bar. Note that this is an older building.... request a ground floor, no elevator to the upper floors. Rooms do have a musty smell due to building age. Overall, very pleased with our stay.

Air conditioner was broken, inconsistently working at best, and sounded like a steam engine running in the room every second it was on; the shower has clearly been broken for a very long time and, rather than repairing it, it is hanging out loose and sprays water all over the ceiling/wall (why do you keep repairing the wall/ceiling surfaces and not the shower head/plumbing?); was charged extra to switch to a non-smoking room (fair enough), but we were switched to a non-smoking room that was obviously smoked in -- there were even ashes still present in the bathroom; and, overall, the "spaces in between" were...extremely dirty. There are multiple hotels in this area that would be comparable to the level on cleanliness in this hotel but would be much cheaper. I want to emphasize that I do not believe there is any reason for this hotel to be occupying this price point. Pro: Stray cats in parking lot were quite nice.

The room had a terrible odor there was mold in the bathroom as well as yellow dots on the roof of the bathroom the rooms where messy bedspreads were sticky so was the headboard there was a large stain on the carpet the wall had paint missing the staff were very nice and friendly though curtains cornes's were nice the beds were comfortable the staff were addressing the problems

The room was very clean, as well as the sheets, bedding, and bathroom. The attending staff was very courteous during checking and breakfast. Everything worked beautifully. Will definitely come back when in the area.

The coffee pot was FULL of mold. There was a group of other guest that were extremely loud all hours of the night. It felt very unsafe. I could not even let me 17 year old son walk around alone. The room itself was pretty clean but the mold was over the top NASTY

If I could give a zero star review I would. We checked in and the room was horrifying. Stains on the bedding, an overwhelming smell of smoke and a door thay barely locked properly. When we addressed this issue with the staff we were not given any solutions and ended up leaving. When we contacted a manager for a refund we were given the run around and given nonsensical reasons for why we could not be given a refund. Save yourself the headache and do not stay here.

It was clean and quiet. The a/c was strong. Everything worked, breakfast was good. Bed very comfortable. Close to I24, food, and gas. Very nice people, especially the breakfast attendant and the morning front desk clerk.

Filthy room and they jammed me for $200 as I was traveling at midnight. Had I booked online it was $83 so I am unhappy to begin with. Had I not been tired I would have seen some Hilton and Marriott properties on top of the hill Bottom line is I "feel" the girls at counter took heavy advantage of me because I was traveling and didn't make reservation. After paying, we got to the room I like many other reviews I have read about this place, it was unclean. Maybe they use some greasy cleaner but it still felt and smelled unclean I would sleep in a cardboard box before I would ever give $1 to this joint again

The bed was terrible. Seemed like it was 20 Years Old!!!! Full of lumps and caverns. The shower was pitiful, the water barely sprayed out not enough pressure to wash your body and especially wash your hair. Even our friends who had other rooms complained about the very poor accommodations!!!! The hotel needs a major updating and renovation.

The room was clean and inexpensive. Close to attractions. Traffic was bad getting there but worth the trouble. Pool was still closed so we could not evaluate it. convenient parking for loading and unloading the car.

We stopped here on our way to Florida. Hotel lobby smelled like smoke upon arrival. The room was clean even in a pert friendly room and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was very lacking. The Bare minimum available to be to say hot breakfast.

We were traveling down to Florida and stayed 1 night at Chattanooga. There were a lot of activities to do such as Rock City, Lookout Mtn Railway and there are several restaurants to choose from. There are several antique shops that we like to visit while travelling and we went to the Coker museum that had a nice display of antique cars and motorcycles.

Nice and clean hotel. Great breakfast. Convenient location, and a decent price. A family with children right above us, running around at night wasn't too pleasant, but not fault of hotel....I would consider staying there again.

Please DO NOT STAY at this place. Everything in the room smelled like smoke. The bed sheets had blood stain on it. The towels were dirty. The internet was not secured. Literally, everything at this place was bad. I will never stay here. I recommend you NOT to stay here.

This place is a hole and an embarrassment to the Best Western franchise. The chairs were torn and the one at the desk, while supposed to swivel back and forth actually rocked from side to side. It was impossible to sit straight. The paint on the ceiling in the bathroom was buckled and peeling. The sheets and blankets on the beds were thread worn, thin and had a bad smell. I slept on top of them. When I complained to the front desk I was told that because of CoVid and the fact that we had already been in the room, there was nothing they could do. When I pointed out that there was no way for us to know how bad this room was before we went in, I was told we were welcome to try and find a room somewhere elsr but we'd wouldn't be getting a refund. Do yourself a favor and look for another place to sleep.

Close to Roadhouse restaurant and gas station. Nice staff. Clean room. Good breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Pool looks nice although we didn't use it. I would recommend this if staying in the area.

Super clean, comfy bed, convenient!!! Nice front desk and free breakfast! I recommend and would stay here again. Walmart, Logan's, and Cracker Barrel are all nearby. Location is great for nearby attractions. Right off interstate. Felt very safe.

My husband and I had a recent weekend away at the Best Western Royal in Chatanooga, TN. The room was clean, well maintained and quite. There's a nice steak house very nearby for supper. We enjoyed our stay alot.

I wouldn't stay here again if they reduced their price to $30 per night, gross hotel with soaking wet floors, mold in bathroom. Rather stay at a Motel 6 and leave the light on. Cannot eat breakfast in lobby and lobby isn't connected to building where room was so we were expected to walk to lobby get breakfast then walk back to moldy smelling room with wet floors.

My experience at the best Western Royal and in Chattanooga Tennessee Was excellent. I would recommend it to anyone traveling and needing tostay over in Chattanooga. We arrive very late at night and the check-in staff was very friendly, accommodating and had a great personality for the hour in which we arrived.

The room was very clean, even being a pet friendly and smoking room. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. Internet was good. Staff was friendly and professional. A great location and value!

We traveled for a quick weekend trip with our daughter, granddaughter, a service dog and an ESA. I picked the hotel for the pet policy, pool and breakfast. The room was clean. The shower head and water pressure was amazing! I wish my shower at home was like that. Strangely there isn't really cold water, it's more luke warm. The fridge does not have a freezer compartment. The pool was open, my granddaughter had a great time swimming. Our first morning there were flowers left on all the doorsteps. It was very sweet and unexpected. There is a Logan's Roadhouse right behind the motel and a Wendy's next door. There is also a shopping plaza, which includes a Walmart and an Urgent Care behind/next to the motel, which was very convenient. There is a grassy area for dog walking and a stand for bags/disposal, I think the bags were out, but we have our own anyway. They charge $15/night for a pet (no charge for service animals). Breakfast selection included scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, waffles, fruit, yogurt, cereal, donuts, bagels, fuit, coffee, apple and orange juice, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some things. The dining area is closed so you have to bring your plate back to your room. There wasn't a lot of outside noise. There was some barking from other guest dogs and a very rambunctious toddler above us on our 2nd night, but they all settled down. The price was a bit higher than I would normally pay for a motel, but we had a good stay.

The room was dirty. Sheets were stained. Surfaces had clearly not been wiped. Over priced room. Slow checkin. Im a diamond select member so I know best western well… The worst one I've ever stayed in, hands down!

Check in experience was horrible after traveling all day! The sheet had a stain on it, the air conditioning had a really bad smell!! The pet friendly rooms are always the worst and we pay more!! Won't be returning to this BW

Nice room 204, pool was nice and refreshing. Lobby is closed so breakfast is placed on a table. Talked to a couple who got sick on the breakfast the day before so we passed, but saw someone (not staying at the hotel) drive up and take a breakfast. No mention on their website of lack of lobby or breakfast. Shame on them. Was overpriced for no breakfast.

Very nice room, pleasant stay. Breakfast was tasty. Staff was courteous and helpful with directions and suggestions for my evening meal. The whole experience was much like being at home. Someone has done a lot of positive training at this location.

We stay here several times a year and always find it a great place to recharge. There are many restaurants and stores are near by so you can stock your too. Really close to Ruby Falls with no traffic.

We had accidentally booked a smoking room with two queen beds, instead of a non-smoking room. Immediately when we walked into the room, it reeked of smoke. My husband went down to ask if we could switch to a non smoking room and was told no by the front desk. “Nothing we can do about it”. Since we had entered the room, we couldn't be switched to another room because of COVID. Really??? We hadn't even sat on the bed! Guess customer service isn't what it used to be. Very disappointing! The beds also were not queen size, but boule beds. Place not very clean either. Definitely won't stay at a Best Western again.

After staying at Best Western in FL, MT, GA and MD I was expecting alot more but this place was awful. Alot of obvious maintenance issues need attention. The AC unit was barely putting out any air, thank goodness it not hot summer time weather. When we walked in we heard water running and looked in the tub, it wouldn't shut off. In the bath area you could look right up into the ceiling, that just shouldn't happen. The light cover was broken and there was a hole. The outside noises and banging kept us up all night made it hard to sleep. Very disappointed in our stay here. Thank goodness it was only one night.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel; very clean, beds and pillows were very comfortable. Room size was average for 2 queen beds. Staff members were friendly and answered any questions we had. Convenient location. Good value for the price that was charged. Enjoyed the scenic area! Would definitely stay again if in area. Primarily am looking for clean rooms due to Covid and this hotel is really clean.. Appreciate!!

Very convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. Recently updated room. Comfortable bed and very clean. The only negative comment I have is the toilet paper is extremely rough; even sandpaper has one smooth side.

We stayed here on 4/11/2021 with 7 family members and we all agree on staying another night after coming back from our road trip. The only downside was we didn't see any elevators we had babies and we had to be carrying them up and down the stairs

we were traveling to Florida we got 2 rooms and were charged $149 plus 29 in taxes and fees. When i got home looked up room rates and all were under $100. Feel we were taken advantage of because it was late when we checked in. Will never stay at another Best Western if this is how you do business.

Not a typical Best Western. More of an older motel. Overpriced for this kind of accommodations. Poor parking available. Two separate buildings of rooms. Room door opens to outside. Definitely not worth the money.

The best Western lookout mountain was a convenient stop on our way home. We were able to beat some of the traffic of Chattanooga getting there and we were in a good place to get out the next morning. Nothing fancy but clean and comfortable beds.

This place is just OK. It was clean except the "nonsmoking" room I requested reeked of smoke. The staff argued with me about the rate I had been quoted on the phone by Best Western, and tried to make me pay $15 more than what was quoted. The parking lot is on such a steep hill it is difficult to get in and out of a vehicle if you are not a youngster. The location is good for popular sites such as the Incline railway and the waterfalls. The doors to rooms open right out to the parking lot, (it looks like an old time motel) which is not the best for women traveling alone.

The stay was definitely a positive one; the night manager was very pleasant ad acconmmodating. She responded when we told her the sink was plugged and was willing to switch rooms. The breakfast was a very pleasant surprise with scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits.

The rooms were nicely decorated with features such as free internet, iron, blow dryer and refrigerator and microwave. There are minor details that were over looked like the bathroom door knob being loose -which is nothing to lose sleep over. Beds were comfy enough but pillows were not. Only three towels in a four person bedroom... AND there were ROACHES in the room- killed one and the other got away. Told the guy at the “front desk” and was told “thank you for letting us know.” If it weren't for this experience, I would have given a much high rating because of the overall experience and the price.

This hotel is comfortable, clean and convenient to every venue in Chattanooga. It is quickly accessible to the interstate and to all attractions on the mountain (Ruby Falls; Civil War Historical Sites & Rock City) and to the city below. We have returned to this hotel many times on our visits to or through this area. Highly recommended.

This motel needs: much better Internet connection, and much brighter lightbulbs! That is not asking much...price is very reasonable, but simple improvements would allow a small increase in price...location off I-24 is good.

As the title says, our stay in this motel met the needs for a great overnight stay while driving across the country. We had no complaints at all; and in fact, from check in to check out we were pleased.

I woke in the middle of the night and turned on the bedside light. My room has German Cockroaches. The desk clerk was amazing and pleasant. I was assured the police patrol the parking lot. The room looked clean & I was satisfied with it until I woke and found roaches in it. Now I have to figure out how to make sure not to get these in my house when I get home.

where to start. 3 giant dogs barking all nite. lady at front desk doesn't seem to care. have already complained twice. website says no more than 2 dogs in a room. but they have 3 & then just left them. i will never ever stay here again. the Lady just doesn't care. pay a little more & go elsewhere. This tired motel seems like a red carpet Inn rather than Best Western (old carpet, shoddy, smoky non-smoking rooms, overworked cranky and underpaid? Staff). We arrived at 9:30 after driving eight hours from Florida and the woman who greeted us was anything but welcoming. Everything I asked for was a problem or no, from whether the outdoor pool would close promptly at 10 or there Was a possibility of even a half an hour late check out after their 11 o'clock check out time. At less than $100 for a double room, it is reasonable enough… But who needs nasty? There was one very kind person there: an African-American woman who worked at the breakfast handouts: she was nice and welcoming, an oddity in this dump.

It was a nice room and the price was good. However, we were in room 301 right next to the highway. It the noise at night was ideal for sleeping. Tried to get another room but they said one was not available for the same type room I had.Check-in was delayed because the front desk was on the phone to long when I arrived before I could get key to room. I always choose Best Western when I travel, but will stay at this one again. It just doesn't measure up to what I expect.

On a 6 hr road trip I reserved a room 30 minutes from hotel. I received a phone call 5 miles from hotel requesting a credit card number, I told the employee we would arrive in 5 minutes and I would give card then because I had already put the credit card number on the website. Upon arrival, the employee that had called informed us at “check in” that he had canceled the reservation because I wouldn't give out our credit card number over the phone. Disappointed to say the least.

TL;DR 1. There was a HORRIBLE noise that happened at all hours of the day (also sometimes early in the morning and late at night) that was so loud it felt like the floor and bed were shaking. We told the front desk twice and maintenance was apparently called, but no one ever came to investigate it during our 3-night stay 2. At check-in, we were given a room that was already occupied. The desk attendant ended up unlocking the door and walked in on them while they were sleeping because he thought the room was empty. 3. There was a serious towel shortage. When we arrived there were only 2 towels in the room, and when we ran out we had to beg the front desk multiple times to get clean ones. We could only get 2 at a time though like they were being rationed and almost didn't get towels at all on our last night. 4. The wi-fi was slower than the dial-up we had in the 90s. I also had to re-enter the password multiple times per day because it kept randomly kicking me off. 5. Covid-19 procedures were not being followed. Only 9 people were supposed to be allowed in the pool at a time, but every time we passed by there were at least 20. The room seemed clean enough, but the morning we left we saw the cleaning staff start cleaning empty rooms immediately after guests had checked out. According to Best Western's website, rooms are supposed to be left isolated for at least 24-48 hours. I was also concerned on our first night after the front desk didn't know which rooms were occupied. If you don't even know which rooms are empty, then how do you know if they've been that way for 24-48 hours or not? 6. The good: Our room itself was actually very comfortable. The beds/mattresses were soft without being worn down or saggy. They were perfect, and if it wasn't for the noise we would have slept comfortably the entire weekend. Also, everything in the room worked, which is a rare find these days. Now, here is my wife's full review: We stayed in room 217 from July 2nd-5th and had multiple problems that persisted the entire time we were there. When we arrived we were originally given room 218, but the keycard wouldn't work. The desk clerk said it was just a dead battery in the card reader and came to unlock the door for us with a key. However, the room was occupied and all of us were horrified to have walked in on someone who was trying to sleep! We were then sent to room 217 after being told that it was the last room available. The next morning at 6:55 AM we were woken up by a mechanical sound that was so loud it actually shook the floor and the bed. It sounded like a combination of drilling and sawing, but it was constant from 6:55 AM till 11 AM. Finally, at 11 it stopped for about an hour, then started again around noon and continued off and on throughout the day until sometime after 5 PM. I had just assumed it was some kind of construction somewhere else in the building (I also thought the break between 11 and 12 was probably the workers taking a lunch break) but then the noise started again around 8:30 PM. At this point, we realized it was definitely not construction and were concerned that it would continue throughout the night. My husband went down to the front desk and the desk clerk said he wasn't aware of anything that would cause a noise like that. He said it was probably a pipe or boiler in our building and left a message with maintenance to come to find out what it was. No one ever came, not even the next morning. Thankfully it did stop around 10:30 PM and we were able to go to sleep. The next morning the noise started again around 9:30 AM and continued off and on throughout the day. Our best guess is that it probably was a boiler or water heater that was filling up as other guests were taking showers, and most guests had slept in since it was the weekend by this point. The noise started getting bad again around 9 PM so my husband reported it to the front desk a 2nd time. The clerk on duty that night said she thought it was the dryers since the laundry room was in the building near our room. Still, no one did anything to remedy the very disturbing noise we had experienced for 2 days now, and all other rooms were still occupied due to the holiday weekend. This was very problematic for me since I have chronic health issues and am currently undergoing alternative treatments that make me feel extremely unwell. The only reason we were traveling at this time was that a close family member was getting married. My original plan was to rest in the hotel room the entire time so I would have enough energy to actually go to the wedding, and my husband would spend the weekend visiting his family and helping them prepare for the event. The noise in our room was so unbearable that I couldn't get any rest at all, and my husband spent quite a bit of time dealing with the front desk, apparently to no avail. I've since had a horrible flare up due to lack of rest and sleep, and am only just well enough to write this almost a week later. On top of all this, we also had a hard time getting towels for our room. I kept the "do not disturb" sign on the door for the entirety of our stay since I didn't want anyone else entering our room during the COVID-19 pandemic, even to clean. However, almost every time my husband asked the front desk for towels he came back empty-handed. On our second day, the desk clerk did at least bring me one about 2 hours later, but on our last night, we were told there were no towels because everyone had been using them all day at the pool. No explanation was given as to why no one had attempted to wash towels again after they'd been used, just that there were no towels at all. Also, there was a sign posted that no more than 9 people should be in the pool at a time due to social distancing, but every time my husband drove through the parking lot he said there were at least 20. There shouldn't have even been that many people using towels at the pool in the first place. I understand that it was a holiday weekend, but I just cannot fathom how a hotel with so few towels can even stay in business. The irony that we'd been tortured for 2 days by the sound of either the dryer or the boiler from the laundry room and couldn't get a single towel was just beyond belief. The desk clerk did eventually bring some towels to our room after my husband went back a 2nd time, but it's a little unclear where she got them. They smelled clean (not exactly fresh but still acceptable), and looked very ragged. We used them since we had no other choice but I would have preferred to feel a little safer during the pandemic. I actually chose to stay here based on the cleaning standards I saw on Best Western's website and reviews I read on TripAdvisor, but in reality, we didn't feel safe at all once we arrived. After seeing what happened with the towels and the number of people not following the rules at the pool we lost confidence that any advertised procedures were actually being followed. My husband also said he saw rooms being cleaned as soon as people were checking out on the morning we left. It was our understanding that rooms would be left isolated for 24-48 hours between guests, but he said that was not the case according to what he saw that morning. Clearly we are very disappointed and somewhat upset by our experience last week. I don't know if the staff just didn't understand what we were saying about how bad the noise was but it felt like we weren't taken seriously. That being said, the room itself was actually very comfortable. The beds/mattresses were soft without being worn down or saggy. They were perfect, and if it wasn't for the noise we would have slept comfortably the entire weekend. Also, everything in the room worked, which is a rare find these days. On second thought, the in-room phone actually had an issue with the receiver but it was no big deal. I didn't want to touch it anyway due to the pandemic, and the lobby wasn't really that far away. My only real complaint with the room amenities was the wi-fi. It was slower than the dial-up we had in the 90s. Sometimes it would take 3-5 minutes just to load Gmail. I also had to re-enter the password multiple times per day because it kept randomly kicking me off. Since I was spending so much time in the room I actually had set up my laptop on the desk and left it on the whole weekend. If I left it alone for even a few minutes I would get kicked off and have to re-enter the password again. It was such a hassle I ended up just using my phone.

It's a conveniently located budget motel. Because of the restaurant at the hotel and several gas stations the location feels safe. They seemed to take cleanliness very seriously. The room isn't brand new but the cleaning staff does a great job and the staff wears masks. I want to thank Jimmy at the front desk for a friendly hello and going out of his way to make sure I got the room I wanted.

Just a one night stay. Rooms were very clean and ac works great. Mattress could be updated. Staff was friendly. Pool was open but didn't use it. Easy parking and close to Logan's and Wendy's I'm walking distance.

The price was right the rooms were clean. The parking is HORRENDOUS, BUILT on a hill. Trying to open your car door without hitting another car is a laugh. Parking is literally on a hill. Some customers of the hotel took up 1 1/2 parking spots so there isn't enuff parking. There may be parking on the other side of the hotel but who wants to walk around the entire hotel to get to your room. Then we don't ask for room service $or 4 days. We give our bath towels to the maid on day 4 and thing we could get some bath towels when we came in on July 4th......NOPE, THEY SAID THEY HAVE NO TOWELS. WHAT NO TOWELS ? HOW AM I TO TAKE A SHOWER.

Needs a lot of TLC. Floor is filthy (spilled water on the laminate floor and towel was filthy when wiped up). Wouldn't dare sit on the chair in the room. Stains on lampshades. A/C humming nonstop. Booze bottles and shopping carts laying around outside perimeter. Never again.

BW charges $10 extra for each child over the age of 12 which does not make any sense since a 12 year old sleeps in the same bed and utilizes the same amenities as a 15 year old - not worth the extra money - I can stay at a Townplace Suites for less money and its a lot nicer.

Disregarded our DND sign. Came in our room while we were gone, moved my clothes to make the bed, took my washcloth from home. Touched my pillow and pajamas. Not happy at all. Person who answers the front desk (had to call from my cell as the phone in the room doesn't work) doesn't understand English and doesn't speak it well either. Absolutely useless! Room was dirty. I brought my own cleaning supplies thankfully. Someone had left belongings next to the bed, housekeeping never noticed. Go somewhere else!!!! ***Edited to add that they gave me a whopping $12 off my room charges. No mention of COVID as they touched my pillow and pajamas..the very things I didn't have duplicates of on the trip. Very unprofessional!!! Now I get to wait 2 weeks to see if I catch anything from the idiots who came in my room!!! Also the coffee condiments were opened and left as if they were new.

First stop on our cross country trip during covid 19 check in staff had mask and gloves. Room had refrigerator with freezer for our food. Bed very comfortable. No grab and go bag breakfast in morning. Would stay here again.

We had to wait at check in for much too long a time and seemed like both employees were trainees. Once in our room, the refrigerator was broken. They seemed overwhelmed with what to do about that, suggested having us change rooms to a different bed configuration. Thankfully a maintenance man took the bull by the horns and swapped it out for a working one from another room. When finally settled, the room had everything we needed. Layout of hotel is weird, built on a hill so some rooms are ground floor while others are a flight up (although on the same level.) WiFi was TV was good with a built-in Guide (why don't they all have that?) Breakfast was just ok, eggs had been sitting out much too long and were over-salted. But there was yogurt, fresh fruit, and something for everyone. The WiFi connection was poor to horrible (NOT “super fast” as advertised) and we had to sign on EVERY SINGLE TIME on every device, even minutes later after just taking a shower. I would not stay here again.

Asked for first floor room during reservation - told there were none in the hotel during check in. room fridge made noise all night - electric outlets at work desk were hard to get to - bedside alarm went off at 5AM - hard to turn off.

This is your basic Best Western with exterior doors. The location is what makes it really special. It is at the foot of Lookout Mountain. Tons of family tourist activities. It is surrounded by shopping centers and restaurants. We always stop here for the Walmart alone.

When checking into the hotel, the hotel lobby was very clean, the check in was good, no problems with finding our reservations, the rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable, our check out was good too, the breakfast was good and fresh

This was our second stay here during our travels to see family. The hotel is very good; our only complaint is that the beds are too soft. The food is what one would expect for such a hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

One of the best hotels if you have a dog. Rooms have laminate floors. Super clean and easy access to the grassy areas to walk your dog. Nice staff, simple but good breakfast in the morning. Easy access to the highway.

The Best Western Royal Inn is a quaint hotel 'scaped into a hillside. Rooms are basic, yet neat & clean. Breakfast is good, the staff is attentive & there's ample parking. There's a little highway noise, not enough to disturb or distract. The hotel's near gas stations & eateries.

Very loud! Horns blown all night and several times early morning. Doors slamming continually. Room and bathroom were clean. Breakfast less than to be desired. The wooded area directly beside the parking lot had a great deal of trash, and an empty shopping cart, however no shopping areas in the vicinity. Noticed one person walking in the wooded area. This was only my second stay at a Best Western Property in nearly 20 years.

We were traveling with our dog, so chose this pet friendly hotel. I think it's quite old, but it was clean and comfortable. I've never been in a hotel without carpet before, so it seemed a bit weird. As others have mentioned, the parking is very tight.

Breakfast was fine, room was fine except for some minor housekeeping (see pictures), only real complaint was very small parking places. So many people have SUV's and trucks, making it somewhat difficult to park. Not a reason to bypass this handy location. Lots of restaurants nearby.

We stayed here as we wanted to visit Lookout Mountain and Ruby Falls on our road trip which were only 5-10 minutes drive away. Received a warm welcome from Crystal on the front desk. Our room was clean and comfortable. Wide selection of hot and continental items for breakfast. Would highly recommend.

Just what we needed. We were on a driving trip to see some sights and the hotel was a good basic place for a comfortable nights sleep and a "home base" close to our excursions. Friendly helpful staff and we had a great time!

I really appreciate the staff at this location, from the desk clerks to housekeepers, to maintenance personnel; all are helpful, courteous, friendly and professional. Desk clerks must have thanked me about a dozen times for being a BW Rewards member and reminded me I'd be getting 500 bonus points for my check in. That doesn't happen at every facility. The location is excellent, right off the highway, but it's also quiet. There is a Wendy's and Cracker Barrel close by and Domino's delivers (Pizza Hut does not). This facility is close of many local attractions including Lookout Mountain, zip lining and other recreational areas. The rooms are CLEAN, no livestock (of the six-legged variety), pets are allowed with a small up-charge and refundable cleaning deposit. (please ensure you clean up any deposit your pet makes). High speed internet worked just fine as did the television with many stations to choose from. For me a sign of a good facility is a good shower, HOT water and good pressure. This hotel passed with flying colours. The only con, and it is slight, is many of the parking spaces are on a pretty decent grade, which makes parking a motorcycle a bit of a challenge. Could also make getting kiddos, luggage etc out of the back seat of a car interesting also. Very minor though. I would definitely stay here again and in fact will be planning on a weekend get away with my girlfriend here.

My husband and I stayed here for a quick night on our way back to Iowa from Florida. The hotel has been recently renovated which is nice. The lobby had a strange smell but the gentleman checking us in was very friendly. We were on the top floor in the room furthest from the road and it was very quiet. The room was nice and cold when we arrived. It was very clean and smelt nice and the bed was very comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast in the morning but check-out was very quick. The price for a Monday night was also very reasonable. If we are ever in the area again we would probably stay here.

The hotel parking spots are very narrow and on a slope. The room we stayed in was clean and smelled fresh. We stayed in room 301 which is on the end of the building closest to the main road and it was very loud and it sounded like you were at a race track. I did not use the high speed internet so I cannot comment on it. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of items to eat such as eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, hot make your own waffles, fruits, cereals, and pastries. Overall, the hotel is a good value and I would stay again, just not in room 301.

On our way back from Daytona we wanted to make sure we stopped so we could see Rock City and Ruby Falls. Hotel is located right off the interstate and only minutes from the attractions. Beds are comfortable water pressure was good.

Horrible experience overall. We should have let our first impression guide us, but the room was nonrefundable, so... Anyway, the main parking lot is on a slope, and the spaces are very narrow. Not the best for any non-compact car. On check-in, the lobby smelled like mothballs and cigar smoke. Attendant was professional and courteous. Was issued room keys for a non-smoking room. Non-smoking room smelled faintly and persistently of smoke, and the wall-unit AC did not effectively cool the room. It was, however, effective at generating huge pools of water overnight... we woke up to standing water on the floor that all of the hotel towels in the room were unable to soak up. A run by the breakfast bar resulted in the discovery of ants all over the orange juice machine (the lobby clerk informed me that they were "after the sugar." Thanks, I know how ants work... I am more concerned with their presence than their dietary habits... and the OJ itself did not look like a food product intended for humans.) Lobby still smelled like mothballs and cigars. Reported the AC/water issue to the assistant manager on checkout, and received something like a $20 discount. She probably would have offered a further reduction, but the point wasn't to get the room comped... just wanted to GTFO at that point. This experience hurt my confidence on the BW brand. Definitely will not return to this location.

The hotel was really good value for the price. The rooms were clean and the hotel appeared to be well maintained. There are restaurants nearby that are within walking distance. Easy access to drive to explore Chattanooga attractions like Rock City and Ruby cave. Would definitely stay here again.

Parking right away was a negative for us, so we parked further down by the end of the road by the dead end. If you open your car door on the inclined parking you would be sure to hit the vehicle next to you. Our room was cleaned and smelled nice. HOWEVER, don't get room 301! You hear the traffic all day and night long It was very noisy. Pool was ok but no filter was on and many leaves in it even though it was open for guests to swim in.Breakfast was great and appealing! Walmart was in the back of this motel and so are many other well known shops.

When we checked into Best Western, Chattanooga was 97 degrees.Very hot! They were pretty well booked up because of the hurricane so we took what room they had. Only after getting our luggage to the room did we realize the air conditioning wasn't working properly.We adjusted the temp and gave it some time hoping it would start cooling.It didn't so we called the front desk.The same person who checked us in promptly came to check into it.He did try to fix the problem but it really needed more maintenance than he was able to provide.For one night,we just put up with it.Also,room rate was higher than web site by quite a bit.Besides air conditioning problem,the room was basically fine.Bed was comfortable,good tv reception and breakfast was pretty standard hotel buffet.

Here at the moment 5th hotel of our holiday.. Its spotlessly clean, a view of Lookout mountain there's a Walmart next door and one of the best value motels of our trip so far.. I was concerned after reading latest reviews but am pleasantly surprised.. Perfect for a one night stopover in Chattanooga.

I had this place booked for at least a couple of weeks. When we got there I checked in and they took my money but little did we know there was a homeless camp less than 50 feet from our room at a dead in street between our room and the Logan's Steak House. Needless to say I never put the key in the door. I confronted the manager hoping to do something or at least refund my money and he did nothing. I returned my key and ate the $132! My advice is to stay away from this place!

My husband and I have taken short holidays in several states and have generally been disappointed by the lack of comfort in the beds at the motels we have chosen. Finally, at the Best Western Royal Inn in Chattanooga, we found a motel that still chooses beds with the comfort of its guests in mind. My husband had back surgery in October, and he cannot tolerate firm, unyielding matttresses. He slept like a baby at the Royal Inn for three nights. In fact, he slept better than any of our babies ever did! The location of the motel was also convenient for the Chattanooga attractions that we had come to see. It was a wonderful getaway in large part due to the comfort of our rooms as well as the friendliness and courtesy of the Royal Inn staff. We hope to be back again.

Facility was clean, easy access to interstate, and provided for pleasant overnight stay. Breakfast was typical hotel fare, and was hot and plentiful (eggs, sausage, gravy), waffle maker, variety of breads and pastries. No complaints. Desk staff at both check in and check out were very efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely choose to stay here again. Only suggestion to to make parking spaces wider..tight parking.

I took two of my grandsons to Ruby Falls, Chattanooga, TN. We stayed at Best Western Royal Inn. The staff were very nice, the rooms were clean, excellent water pressure in the shower, beds were comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place. I didn't care for the small parking in front of the Office, but it sufficed.

This hotel was great! The room was very clean and well maintained. It looked like they did recent renovations. The breakfast was sausage, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, waffles, fresh fruit, donuts, toast and cereal, along with juices. The staff was very friendly! We were pretty busy but did manage to get into the pool as well. Great location, as it was close to some restaurants and Wal-Mart.

Needed to rest after many hours on the road before going out that night. Because of noise from construction being done to the building we could not. The floors were so dirty we through away the socks we were walking around the room in. No pool side shade. No table umbrellas.

The location is close to all the attractions and very clean and well maintained. I plan to use this location many time sin the future. Join the Best Western club too. Restaurants are all around location. Then of course there is a Walmart less than a mile any if you forgot anything.

Very nice staff and comfortable room. Breakfast was tasty in nice area. I would stay again in the future. Accessible room met specifications and complimentary toiletries were available for our use. Towels were clean and bed linens were decent. I recommended mattress ve replaced because it was too soft in middle.

No parking due to half the lot was closed off. The attendant told us to park across the 4 lane highway and walk across. Not happening with my 70 year old mother and 9 year old son! Then she said she could not process refunds and said that I might as well stay there because every other hotel is full (which they werent). Then she tried to have me walk with her in the rain to show me why the parking lot was marked off (parking lines were getting painted - even though it was pouring down rain). When I refused to walk with her in the rain (at midnight), she opened the parking lot for me to park in with instructions we would need to leave early. This hotel room smelled damp and musty. I will never stay at a Best Western hotel again.

The hotel was good, the staff was friendly, there were no cameras in the front or parking lot so a car full of moving stuff was sketchy to leave outside without being paranoid. Room was clean just needs the light bulb covers over toilet and over sink/mirror cleaned. The night I stayed the back parking lot was closed off so there were absolutely no more spots to park. There were many cars without parking spots that night.

Pool was dirty, pump was not running. Room was not ready. Arrived at 4 p.m., advertised check in 3 p.m. mr at desk stated hotel full previous night for excuse as to why room not ready, took another 45 min before room ready, no apology.

Just wanted a clean room and a good nights rest. Our room was dark and smelled dirty. The toilet wouldn't flush. So I told the front desk man. He acted like it was putting him out. Like I should just deal with it on my own. Finally he gave us a different room. This room was not cleaned completely. There was trash and there were no cups or toiletries. Like it hadn't been cleaned at all. The pillows were just terrible and the towels had stains. Ugh. Cleanliness in the bathroom was really bad, and the bathroom heat lamp didn't work, the switch was hanging off from the wall. Is it because I made my reservations through a third party, that you get a the dirty run down room? And I paid to stay here. I should have been paid.

This is a small budget hotel located right in the middle of a sea of larger hotel chains. The advantages of staying here are the Price plain and simple! Often when you travel with your family and you are trying to save money you don't want to stay in a high crime area and when you book a budget stay you always have that uneasy feeling questioning am I gonna be in a good location. Well this one is in a great location. We felt very safe and secure staying here. Staff were super friendly, pool was crystal clean and the hot breakfast was fabulous! Coffee was always available in the lobby as well. Only down side is since it is in the mountains the parking lot is a little steep on the front side and there isn't an elevator so ask for a down stairs room if needed. We enjoyed our stay tremendously!

The breakfast tasted horrible. The sausage and eggs tasted fake. The pool was really small. We were lucky and went when no one was at the pool

The room was very clean and the beds were good . Everything was good except the breakfest bad . very clean inside and outside . Had to go out to have breakfest not good at all. I thought it was agood lacation to where we were going which was Ruby falls and rock city and a few more .

We checked in late, but we got a ground level corner room. With my bad knees, stairs are problematic & we didn't see an elevator. The room was large, clean, smelled nice, and had everything we needed. The fridge had a freezer for our cold packs, the remote control worked perfectly on the TV which included HBO (tv reception was pixelated, though - not perfect), and we had a sofa, easy chair, and table with desk chair. We had enough outlets for our electronics and lighting was good. The AC kept us cool, and was average on noise scale. The bed was so comfortable! We both had a good night's sleep. It was quiet during the night. Breakfast was delicious: hot eggs and sausage with good gravy for the biscuits, a variety of cereals and yogurts, 3 coffees and several hot teas, waffles, bread for toast or PB'n'J, bagels, donuts, apples, and oatmeal. We had plenty of places to sit, and The Chattanooga Free Press daily paper to read or NBC Morning News on the TV to watch. Checkout was easy, and the price was reasonable. We'll stay here in the future when we return to Chattanooga!

Considering the reasonable price, it was in a beautiful location and had a great breakfast. The rooms were clean and staff pleasant. I didn't get to use the pool, but it looked clean. Was very happy to stay there and would stay there again.

Staff was so nice and friendly! Rooms were very comfortable and clean! Was worried when first seen Hotel but it was a great place to stay! Breakfast was great! Would recommend this Hotel to anyone! We will definitely stay here again! Overall a fantastic place!!

We stayed one night. The room was clean and had no bugs. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The water in the shower is satisfactorily hot. The air conditioning unit is quiet. It cycles, so there is no constant noise. At breakfast, there was a good variety of hot and cold food. The front desk people were friendly at check-in and out. We have stayed here before, and will again. It is a nice motel.

Can't review the place itself because as we began to unload, we realized we had left an important bag (computer, etc) 3 1/2 hours behind! We immediately went back to the front desk to explain and called Expedia along the way. Just got notice today that the manager refused our request for a refund. I recognize it is not required, but a bit of kindness would have been nice. Sadly, makes me think I won't pick a Best Western again.

could not have been happier with this stay. The room was very clean! My favorite thing was NO carpet! The floor was clean, bed and pillows clean and comfy. Hot breakfast was good. Thanks BW we will stay again

We were here for 2 nights stay . The people in the office were most helpful at check in as well as any questions during our stay . The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable for us. Both mornings we had the breakfast in the lobby and it was fresh and hearty with many choices for us in a hurry to get to the Ironman venue less than 15 minutes from here . I recommend the Best Western Royal Inn to everyone . We were on second floor across from the office . Easy access . We had friends that were on the first floor and they had hardwood floors. Thank you for a fantastic stay here .

Cob webs, dirty sheets, dirty curtains, can see through crack in door. Smells like smoke in room, stains in the bathroom, place is not dusted.. Look I realize not all places will be the best as some but I would expect clean cover sheets free of smell, dust and spider webs. Dated places I can live with when some stains.

We enjoyed our one night stay during our return home from Florida. The staff was very friendly & helpful, the room was clean & adequate for our needs & the breakfast had a good variety & was very good

This may have been a better location in the past but it is going downhill. The night clerk was barely functional. The bedding is old and the pillows are poor. The lighting is dim. All rooms have doors leading directly outside.

It was a good place to stay. Our first room smelled of smoke (non-smoking room), but we switched to another room and it was OK. I let the guy know and he said maybe someone smoked with the door open while outside? We had a good night sleep and the room was clean. I did not use the tv but the internet worked. We got up for breakfast and it was over by 9:30 so we missed that. I would stay here again, if I am in the area.

The service was amazing the manager there helped us get milk for our baby. We showed up at 9pm and was greeted really well I will always stay at a best western for now on it was a really good experience can recommend it enough

while traveling to key west we stopped her for a night. beds were good room was clean breakfast was adequate. the furniture was well used & in need of updating the grounds were a little unkempt. not sure I would recommend

Rooms were very clean, great breakfast! Pool is outside and tiny but off season for that while we stayed! Staff was pretty friendly as well... definitely good for the price! Logans , Walmart, Wendy's and lots of other shops right beside. You do need to ask for first floor if you cant climb stairs well... 3 floors outside stairs

Driving home from Florida to Toronto, getting caught in torrential rainstorms, we always use Best Western as our "go to" hotel when travelling. So our choice was the B/W Royal Inn … quite a shock as the establishment was old, dated, smelly and basically reminded me of the old hotels that would rent their rooms by the half-hour for you know what !! Must be a lower standard Best Western, as I have reviewed most on our way down and back to Canada.

Reservation was incorrectly made as smoking in the computer system. I always triple check as I have medical diagnoses that make it impossible to stay in a smoking room. I showed my confirmation email to the front desk staff. He confirmed that the email DOES NOT say that it is a smoking room. I had no way to know. If I had known, I would have canceled or changed it immediately (several days prior to arrival); however, as I was unaware, I was unable to cancel. Since we did not know until our arrival, we were required to pay for a room in which we could not stay. When speaking with BW corporate customer service, the representative said that she was unable to step in on the situation as all BW properties are independently owned and operated. She did say that she "hopes the hotel would make it right" since it was out of my control. The asst. manager was callous, insensitive, and refused. She stated, "that's our policy." Indeed, it is. They legally do have the right to charge me since we did not cancel 24 hours in advance. We did receive a warm welcome, exceptional service, and a clean, non-smoking room when we drove a few extra minutes to the BW Plus Arbour Inn and Suites. I highly recommend staying there instead.

Stayed here one night when traveling from IL to FL. Great rate, clean room and hot breakfast. Comfortable bed & pillows, and good water pressure in the shower. WiFi worked well. Friendly service. Will definitely stay here again on future trips.

Stayed here for two nights on my way to Florida. Very reasonable price for a decent sized clean room. Staff were gracious at check in/out. Breakfast was average. Lots of places to eat in the area. I would stay again.

I stayed here on my way from Florida to Missouri. The room was nice. The price was reasonable. My only complaint was the parking. Directly in front of my room, which was on the ground floor, a truck had parked that took up two spaces so I had to carry my personal belongings all the way across the parking lot. They really should regulate where bigger vehicles can park. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows weren't bad. It was much better than the place I had stopped an hour earlier that was the same price that included hot and cold running cockroaches. This place is much cleaner and I got a good night's sleep there.

Stayed for two nights. Checked in to meet my father, he is a reward memeber...I am affiliated with another. :) Friendly and accommodating staff! SUPER Cleanm place surroundings and room. Looking for a room to sleep and that's it. I would look no further. ENJOY!

Fine for one night just passing through. The room was clean but dated. Breakfast was very basic. There is coffee in the lobby all day, but when I went to the lobby to get coffee about a half hour before breakfast time the door to the lobby was locked from the inside with a bike lock. That may be due to the fact that it is not that nice of a neighborhood. There is a really good Mexican restaurant within a ten minute walk called Los 3 Amigos.

I purchased my stay through priceline. I was traveling with my 3 kids (5 and under) and a toy poodle. When I booked I wanted a pet friendly hotel and that was my only requirement at choosing a hotel in Chattanooga TN. When I arrived to check in to my hotel, male was not rude, but not friendly either he just handed me my key and asked me to sign paper. My fault I didnt read fine print, but I had been on the road for 8 hours with a 16mo, 3yo, and 5yo. We were ready to get into our room. Next morning at breakfast, in the middle of keeping a baby happy and cutting up a waffle for my middle child, hotel staff (same man who checked me in night before) told me they were going to charge me $100 for my pet that I did not tell them about. However they could lower it to $50. I never tried to hide my dog. I walked past 4 employees from my car with the dog on the leash. I also left him use the restroom on the grounds all with 3 kids and not trying to hide him. I said calmly, I understand the miscommunication, I was sorry for not disclosing I had a pet, I thought priceline would have noted my preference from checkout, but that maybe to avoid another situation like this he could run over very basic ground rules when checking in guests (ex, no smoking, do you have a pet, what time breakfast is etc) he got upset and raised his voice and told me that this was not his fault and that I should have read the form before signing it. Again I agreed and apologized but said he could work on his customer service. Then the manager (a woman) came up, and silly me I thought she was going to diffuse the situation. However she told me she was going to call the cops on me for ruining other breakfast guests morning and bring attention to my table. So now I have a 5yo upset thinking they are taking her dog away and now her mother is going to jail. At this point I got very upset. I had not even sipped my coffee, my kids had not enjoyed 1 bite of food. I had an upset baby in my arms wanting a knife and the hotel staff felt NOW was the time to bring up my pet. They told me I was disrupting the hotel lobby's breakfast. Where was the confidentialty? Why was I not asked to come to the desk? Or met at my room with these concerns? What did they expect my reaction to be? I walked out of the lobby with a table full of untouched food and crying kids. I said sorry to the other guests eating their breakfast before walking to my room, grabbing my belongings and leaving.

This hotel is very quaint. It doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but the beds are comfy, the staff super helpful, and everything was very clean. The breakfast was tasty and hot. It's definitely a place to stay!

I had the great displeasure of speaking with the assistant manager Flora Pickett about a reservation blunder. Beyond trying to make me feel bad for walking her up and blaming me for not understanding hotel lingo and culture, she was discourteous, unhelpful, and standoffish. I simply arrived 20 mins after making an online reservation at 2:30am. It was infuriating to be given the run around about how "I paid hotels .com and not best western" or that "it is our of her hands" and that it wasn't the hotel's problem, rather that it was my fault for using hotels.com - just help me find a resolution!! When I asked who her superior was, she was either unsure or refused to name anyone. I couldn't believe that a hotel would just steal my limited money and she went as far as to hang upon me!! I've never really bothered leaving any feedback before, but this is insane! Within 20 mins, how did the empty hotel lose money or resources??! Ultimately, this hotel made me get another night and swallow the $100 cost of the next night, which was made erroneously but still corrected within 20 mins. For $200, I should have gone and given my family an amazing night at a hotel that would never consider cheating me if money they didn't earn! Frankly, I've never seen such horrible and immoral customer service (the lady at the front desk was helpless, but she really nice and sympathetic - thanks you for that) and trash attitude. In 20 mins, $100 was taken from me unreservedly and Best Western claimed it through unreasonable attitude and lack of concern for any financial and emotional hardships on a family traveling to a funeral. What does this hotel gain by screwing me over? As such, never again with hotel chains that are unaccountable and immoral. I'm going to stick with Hampton Inn and others comparable chains... it'll be cheaper in the long run and so much more pleasurable. Crappy hotels like this isn't worth it when you have to pay double for a night. Even nasty roach motels don't run you over like this!! I'm flabbergasted....

The hotel was extremely clean, the beds were very comfortable, big selection of breakfast options, soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion is excellent quality. Location was great to everywhere we had planned to go and I felt very safe coming and going during the night. Will most definitely stay there again as we purchased Annual Pass to Rock City and will be going several times in the next year.

Furniture & carpets stained ... shower had rusty nails sticking out and a hole around the shower head. Property overall is disrepair. Did not honor the rewards points. Same day reservation was the only positive.

We stayed one night at this hotel. This hotel has outdoor entries to each room. I could hear noise from the adjoining rooms but the room itself was very spacious. We had plenty of room to spread out. There was a little fridge in the room. The bed was comfortable and I did sleep well. The breakfast was okay and the front desk staff were very helpful.

I've stayed at this hotel at least 4-5 times in the past with never a problem. I usually like Best Westerns, they are usually affordable , pet friendly and clean. The staff was very friendly,I love the fact that it's hard flooring for cleanliness . The room did need some updating and even for a smoking room (which was the only pet friendly room available) had an extreme smell of smoke. ( can't complain too much about that since I ok'd staying in a smoking room) my main concern was the price. I paid in full 194.72. I was told that the price of the room would be 152.10 and I assumed that price that they gave was the complete price with pet deposit and taxes. It was not that was the price of the room by itself. When it processed through my bank at 194.72 I checked the website for the hotel and found that same room (smoking double) goes for $107 a night. Just be aware of the full amount before you get a room there.

Definitely not worth the price. When we arrived the first room we were given had no shower curtain. Went to the desk and was given a suspicious look before given another room. This room had a cigarette burn and stains on the top bedding cover. Room was relatively clean but needs some updating. Won't be back.

The place is clean and staff is friendly. It's a typical motel feel. Our room was a good size. Nice sized counter around the sink and a table and chairs that was comfortable for computer use. Right off 24 so convenient location. About a 10 minute Uber to downtown.

We were upstairs with a king bed. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom faucet dripped. Frank, who tended the breakfast bar, was the one bright spot. He was so friendly and attentative to everyone.

Rooms were very clean but the entire hotel is in desperate need of a remodel. Decorations are very outdated and furniture is literally falling apart. Rooms clean, free breakfast better than average and friendly staff. Great location but it's age certainly shows.

I was driving for 8 hours during a hurricane with two cats. Arrived at the hotel that was supposed to be pet friendly at 2am to find out they have changed their policy and are no longer pet friendly. Everything in the area was booked. Best western had one room left. I took it. Was the best thing that happened. Room was amazing. Staff was wonderful. Thank you! Will stay there again for sure!

Chattanooga Royal Inn Best Western. I would not go back to this hotel. Not a very friendly staff not a nice hotel. Old and dirty. We shortened our stay just because I couldn't stay any longer at this motel.

The rooms seemed to have been recently updated. They were nicer than anticipated and the bed was comfortable. We had a noisy mini fridge which Frank came in and took care of the next day while we were away. We didn't have anymore issues with the noise the rest of the trip. Breakfast was as expected but better than many motels. The coffee was good. Overall the staff was friendly, seemed to genuinely care and our stay was satisfactory.

Wife and I were visiting Chattanooga to visit relatives in area and chose this Best Western based on prior reviews. Was given a suite, it was big for a motel room, but the carpet was in need of renovation. The breakfast was normal for a Best Western,

After an 11 hour trip on our way to Florida, we were just happy to get out of the car! The front desk was nothing to write home about, definitely not over friendly. The room was fine, the bathroom smelled like urine but the sheets were clean and the was bed comfortable, so for the price what more can you ask for? The kids enjoyed being able to take a dip in the pool.

This was a quick, one night stay. It is an economy motel but I was pleasantly surprised by the size of our disability access room. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The toiletries provided were quite pleasant. We went out for breakfast in the morning but did get coffee, which was good. The rest of the breakfast looked simple but adequate. The staff was friendly. It was a good value for the rate.

Clean room, comfortable bed, good staff, good location! Very satisfied and will stay here again. The breakfast was great, much more than what we expected.We plan to travel a lot more so I hope all the Best Westerns are as nice as this one.

My wife's family vacation. There was a mixup in our reservation when we arrived but the staff worked awful hard to get things straightened out. We didn't have rooms beside each other (the majority did) but we all had rooms. The rooms were clean neat and tidy. The breakfast was really good, scrambled eggs. Biscuits and grave sausage patties cereals and breads. The staff was very courteous and polite. It could use a second ice maker and an elevator to the 3rd floor Lol. I recommend the BestWestern Royal.

Hotel not much to look at but room was very clean and bed was amazingly comfortable. Spacious room. King room had a sofa bed also. Breakfast was a great way to start our day of travel. Front desk staff very personable. Logan's was right next store along with a Walmart. A good stop while traveling.

My significant other and I went on a day/night getaway to just switch up the norm and from our one night stay we were pretty satisfied. After the first 30 mins after check in, we jumped in the outdoor pool and enjoyed it. Then, after leaving and coming back, the only discomfort I experienced was that the vanity light was out and i was told by the very nice gentleman at the front desk that there was no maintenance at that time and the only fix would be to switch to another room. I wasnt about to change rooms for a stupid light out. And later in the evening, I wanted to take a bath but the tub stopper wasn't working for some reason. It seemed broken but I'm not sure. It was late so I wasn't about to disturb anybody at the front desk. These things should be regularly maintained and i don't blame front desk for these slight issues. The blame lies with management who should be looking over these things daily to make sure they're up to par before renting out these rooms. But, other than the minor maintanence issues, we had a lovely 1 night stay.

When we got to our room we discovered they gave us a smoking room which we are not smokers! They didn't even ask us if we preferred smoking or non smoking. The room smelled bad! There was no soap, no shampoo/conditioner in the room. There were no hand towels either, only bath towels, & wash cloths. The toilet had dark stains in the bowl, & there were small hairs on the seat & tank lid. The only good things I can say is the bed was clean & comfortable & the breakfast was good. I've stayed at a lot of Best Western's over the years and they have always been very nice, this one however didn't feel like a Best Western at all! I was very disappointed!

Stayed one night on our way to Gatlinburg. Our room was more updated than I expected after seeing the outside of the building. We had a very spacious and clean room on the third floor. It is a motel with outdoor entry so be prepared to carry your luggage upstairs. The staff in the breakfast area was very nice and kept everything clean and fresh in the food area. Would definitely stay here again.

I had a 3 night stay, and very pleased. The room was nice and clean. I requested the air to be turned on upon arrival and the room was nice and cool. The breakfast was delicious and hot. The gentleman that kept the breakfast bar was very nice every morning, as well as all of the other staff. It's conveniently located off I-24 and very close to Walmart and all attractions within Chattanooga. I'll definitely be booking with BW next time in town.

One night stay - 2 storey building - no lift. Checkin efficient - Walmart just behind the hotel with a couple of other shops. Fairly quiet location on the outskirts of Chattanooga - ideal for Lookout Mountain. Standard Motel type Best Western with accommodation and furnishings as you would expect. Hearty breakfast so no complaints!

We got to the hotel about one o'clock in the morning. The lady who checked us in, and I'm sorry I can't remember her name, was very friendly and professional. It was welcoming to see a smiling face after such a long drive and being up so long! The room was clean and comfortable. I wish I could tell you about the breakfast, but we missed it because we woke up so late and then checked out to continue our journey. I would book this place again if in the area.

We stayed here in our way back from Florida. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. My 4 yr old said it was the best breakfast he had. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to be in the area.

Highly recommended by this family of 4. The room rates are very affordable to start. The room was very clean and well stocked. The room included a mini fridge as well as microwave. The beds are comfortable and the linens are nice and clean. The breakfast in the morning had a nice variety. The location is great for all of the attractions in the area. It is also conveniently located near several restaurants as well as a walmart. The staff was friendly and kind. You won't regret staying here.

We booked this hotel based on reviews, location, and price. We typicallly try to stay at a certain price point and this met that as well. The property appeared to be recently updated. The hotel was very clean inside and outside around the stairs and parking lot. The free breakfast is typical and the “hot items” were hot as expected. The rooms for us were large with plenty of room to move about. There are restraints within walking distance, gas stations, and a Walmart surrounded by the typical stores. The location for us was perfect, just off the interstate and minutes away from lookout mountain.The staff was friendly and welcoming. There is a pool onsite but didn't appear to be open for the season yet. We stayed 2 nights here and as it turned out we came back for one additional night a few days later. When I return to Chattanooga I will try to book this hotel again. Don't book expecting the property to be the Hilton. That it is not. But I found it clean very comfortable and affordable.

Stayed at BW 1 night enroute. Rooms are updated and clean with a small fridge and microwave. There is no elevator to 2nd floor. Breakfast is average continental. Easy access to Interstate. Daily newspaper available. Nothing fancy. Breakfast staff were helpful.

This is a great stop to be near all the major tourist attractions in Chattanooga. Lookout Mountain, Ruby Falls and Rock City are very close by. Downtown is a fairly quick drive. The breakfast choices were very good. I would certainly stay here again.

Tis BW inn has a great free breakfast, waffles, bagels, biscuits + gravy, sausage, etc. Room was clean and had all the amenities: micro, fridge, hair dryer, etc. Basic with all you need. pool ad a grassy area for families. there are 3 floors and NO elevator. Would stay again.

Poor beds, refrigerator froze my food, tight parking, disengaged unengaged employees, yard for dogs has construction debris, ground floor rooms get significant foot traffic noise from above rooms, vinyl flooring

I made the reservation on the road and stated we'd arrive just before 9pm. We got there to another couple leaving because nobody was around. After 15 minutes I called but only got a recording. The desk clerk finally showed up after another check-in was waiting. He checked us in quickly and we found our room easily. I was happy with the wood floors, I consider them cleaner than carpet. It had a table with 2 chairs, TV with HBO, larger mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The tub/shower and commode was separate from the sink area which I'm not a fan of. The sink was splashed with coffee or some brown liquid, not a big deal, just laziness. Otherwise it was a very nice spacious room. A bonus of course is the free breakfast buffet. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles etc.

This property is right off of I-24 and next to Logan's Roadhouse and that is across from Walmart. Loved the bed! Very comfortable and NOT hard. It has a microwave and small frig that was actually cold! No safe. They have 2 chairs at a small table. The TV had many channels and the wifi worked well. There is shampoo provided. There is also a coffee maker with coffee provided in the room. The room was clean and the ac worked well. The breakfast is about the same as other hotels today provide. The area is part of the lobby but has plenty of seating. We'd stay there again.

There must have been a special event in town when I stayed, April 7th, so the rates were higher than normal which is understood. However, upon leaving the hotel I noticed the legal document posted in the room showing the maximum rate the hotel can charge for a room, which as listed stated $149. These amounts are typically astronomically higher than the room would ever be, however the rate I paid was $184. That being said, management at this location was clearly taking advantage of the event taking place in town and overcharging anyone that needed a room simply because they knew people would pay it since the location is close to downtown. Considering the rate for this hotel is typically less than half of what I paid for a night, it's terrible to see hotels like this taking advantage of travelers from out of town simply because they know people will pay it. I will never stay at another Best Western or any of its affiliates just because of the poor practices and price gouging taking place at this location.

Pet friendly and room was just fine for our doggies. And room was cleaned daily making it fresh for us and our pets. Central to all the things we wanted to do in this town, and a walmart right next door!

The hotel staff were great and took care of our needs. The whole facility was very clean and located outside of the main city. We were within minutes of everything without the noise of a big city. The hotel has a Wal-Mart, Wendy's, Logan's Steakhouse and many other businesses within walking distance. We will stay here again when we come through Chattanooga.

Room was fine. Small for a family. Breakfast was typical. Not bad. Dining area was small, crowded, and noisy. Parking area is tiny. Hard to get in and out of and always seemed to have work vans or trucks blocking the way out. Probably will not choose to stay here again.

Would definitely stay here again. Right off of the highway, very clean, easy check in and check out. There were several restaurants close by. Easy access to gas stations. The breakfast was good but would have liked more fresh fruit.

We needed a pet friendly simple room at the halfway point of a recent trip to the Smoky Mountains. The Best Western Royal fit the bill perfectly. It is very conveniently located right off the interstate with a few restaurants located nearby. Check in was great, and the room was clean yet simple. The complimentary breakfast was good and typical with hot and cold items . You can find plenty of rooms in this area that will cost more and may be more modern and fancy, but they will not be cleaner or service friendlier. For us this was a perfect choice. I would easily stay here again if needed while in Chattanooga.

This was our first time staying in a BW and we were impressed. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. However, being near the road you could hear traffic all night. You could also hear the people above you. The staff was excellent and thoughtful.

I stopped at this Best Western on my way back East. The room was clean and well furnished, the staff were very friendly, and the overall environment felt safe. The rate was very reasonable as well, which is greatly appreciated, as I am a single person of modest means.

This hotel's location is very good for heading off in any direction on Chattanooga's various Interstates. It's also an excellent value for the frugal traveler. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. Free Wi-Fi. Friendly staff. And the adjacent Logan's Road House has great burgers. There are also TWO Waffle Houses, on either side of the nearby I-59 exit.

We stayed here twice in the last month and were in 2 separate rooms. Although the hotel is not new it has been refurbished. Beds were comfortable, large TV with satellite stations. Easy access off hiway. Friendly staff. Nice hot breakfast.

Stayed 1 nite. Bed was a touch soft, room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was simple but very tasty!! It was supervised by a gentleman who was very friendly and kept everything well stocked and hot!! This place also had the best coffee of any hotel buffet that I'd ever been at. Highly recommend!

Stayed here for 3 nights. Not sure they really clean the rooms. Upon arrival, finger prints on mirror, hair in tub, spots on toilet seat. My husband and I both suffer from dust and mold allergies and we definitely suffered while staying here. Breakfast was good and workers friendly.

Very friendly and helpful staff. During breakfast, I observed an employee in the area assisting everyone...from fetching me a tray to carry breakfast to my room to picking up dropped items for a mother with several kids in tow to fetching more chairs so everyone would have a place to sit. Even though the hotel allows smoking, our room had no smell of smoke. This is usually a deal breaker for me as I am highly allergic. The hotel is older, but well maintained and clean. I had a very good nights sleep for a very reasonable price!

Flora and her staff never fail to welcome me and make me feel right at home. Flora is an outstanding person, warm and welcoming yet professional. Rooms always very clean and breakfast always good. Beds very comfortable. Very safe area Also appreciate outside access from each room.as opposed to enclosed hallways. Have some allergies and this location is good in that don't use offensive air fresheners and overly scented cleaners

The ice machines were frozen. Otherwise, clean, average room. At $79, I would have given the motel good ratings. At $109, it was overpriced. Perhaps the price was jacked up for New Year's Eve. Good location off the interstate.

We came to Chattanooga for Christmas with our almost adult children. We received tickets for Ruby Falls with our hotel accomodations. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good the next morning. We had a wonderful experience with this hotel.

We stayed here on our way back to South Florida. Room is big with a sitting area and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was very nice and helpful, they treated us like family. The breakfast was good too. Very convenient next to highway. Next to a steak restaurant whose food was good quality.

The Best Western Royal Inn in Chattanooga TN is conveniently located to I 24. It's clean and we'll priced and close to several restaurants and stores. The rooms were clean and decorated nicely. It's very reasonable in comparison to nearby hotels.

Check-in was a breeze. All amenities were explained, and questions about the surrounding area were answered professionally and clearly. Breakfast scrambled were the fluffiest that I've EVER had! Stay here when in the Chattanooga, Tn area.

Convenient access to highway. Clean and comfortable. Old school motel so you can park right outside your door to unload and load in the morning. Minimal breakfast but OK. Beds were comfortable. The handicap accessible room we were given had a conventional tub and shower so it would not have worked for someone confined to a wheelchair if a shower was desired. The parking lot is rather “hilly” too.

I have stayed here several times. Every other stay was excellent. This time the room needed more attention. There were cob webs and flies in the room. I am thinking that room service left the door open while cleaning. Management was concerned and apologized for the room condition. I would still stay at this hotel when I travel this way again.

This was a great place to stay. The rooms were all renovated w/ new flooring and marble since. Mid size fridge, LG tv, soft beds and clean room. Wonderful internet and tv service. Great breakfast too new floors here too, full breakfast - eggs, sausage, waffles, bis and gravy and more.

The rooms were very clean and we were very pleased with our overall stay. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms and grounds are a bit dated but did not make our stay any less enjoyable. Breakfast was pretty decent and had a few options for everyone.

Our family came to Chattanooga to visit the Civil War sites: Chickamauga Battlefield and the Chickamauga-Chattanooga National Park (Point Park and Lookout Mountain). This hotel was very clean, modern and the staff was friendly. They accept pets and, if they know you are bringing dogs, they will put you in a room near grassy green spaces for easy walking (and they have a doggy clean up station complete with doggie poop baggies). The hotel was centrally located and it was easy for us to drive to all the sites quickly. Plus, a buffet-style breakfast is included. We highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Chattanooga on a budget!

This was our first experience doing a pet-friendly hotel. The room was quite spacious, very clean, and a great value. Location was easy and the front desk person was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast in the a.m. was a nice plus. Despite the hotel being older, I was impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the beds.

The room I reserved wasn't available. We ended taken two full beds and the room looked like a cheap motel. I'm not going to stay there again specially when I can stay at a nice hotel for the same price.

we found 3 cockroaches in 3 minutes/ stains on comforter/ carpet in hall dirty. A dog barked every time we where in hall way. lady at front desk was polite and professional. we did not want another room because cockroaches spread fast we tried to get out of room but wife was using bathroom when she found 1 I found 2 more waiting for her to finish

Hotel was clean nice room. No complaints. Great hotel good experience nice staff good breakfast. Restaurants close. If I travel by this area agaiin in the future I will definitely stay at this location again

I just wanted a bottle of water, I need to stay hydrated for health reasons. That's ok, I bought a bottle of water from a gas station. No problem, when I see how it is, I can adapt. If you catch my meaning. I gave them to be my exclusive choice but I'm not married to Best Western.

Great Staff....friendly and very helpful. Location was convenient to services (gas, Wal-Mart etc.). The overall condition of the room was very good....clean and comfortable for our stay while on a vacation road trip.

We usually stay at a Drury Inn whenever available, but Chattanooga does not have Drury Inns. So we booked a Best Western. We had stayed at another Best Western in the past and was not happy with our accommodations, so we were a little skeptical. However, this BW location in Chattanooga is better that most of the other motels we visited during our trip. Extremely clean, great personnel staff and a very good breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our 8 month old puppy. Unfortunately, I got sick at the start of our vacation, and spent the most of this leg of our trip in the hotel room. The Building: Pulling up to check in, first thing you notice is there is limited parking. The spaces are close together and on an angle and an incline, so it isn't easy to park. There is however parking for large vehicles such as 18 wheelers, trailers, and large trucks were I thought was great! The room: The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I have ever slept on! The room was mostly clean. No bad odors. When we were packing up the room, however, a roach scurried across the room. As Floridians, we didn't think much of it, as it doesn't seem like an infestation and it had been particularly moist few days. The amenities: Our room was truly pet friendly. There were laminate flooring, there was plenty of grass and a doggy station with baggies. The pool was outdoor and closed for the winter. We personally did not eat the breakfast- I couldn't even tell you what they had! The staff: The staff was super nice, after I needed new sheets. They were prompt and made sure everything was clean. The night staff had some newer members, but we all start somewhere. The location: super close to lookout mountain, ruby falls, and the incline. Lots of shopping nearby on st. Elmo. Over all, I would recommend. Nice, clean place, with friendly staff.

We used this hotel because of the location, which was great for ruby falls and incline railway. The lady at the front desk was very nice and checked us in even though we were a hour early. The room was clean and the hot breakfast was good. This is a good hotel for the money

This lady act like she didn' t understand how disturbing it was to know that your personal things are gone through when you leave the room. I told her that I always takes personal note of my belongings and how I place them before I leave out. I am always skeptical. She said because it was unzipped.

We recently stayed in The Best Western in Chattanooga, TN. The room was huge and spotless. We had 2 King beds that were very comfortable. Check in and out were fast and everyone was very nice. They had a free breakfast which was very good. We would definitely go there again.

If you don't mind the moth ball smell, and the peeling paper, etc... then the beds are comfy, the water comes out hot and cold when desired. The breakfast is adequate for what you pay. It is what it is. You want more or better, I guess you should pay more and get it. The night lady is locked in the glass area and she has her son to attend to, so we waited to check in. The breakfast lady never smiled, and seemed disturbed that we were there. We came in late and left early. I would not choose to stay here again..

Likes: The front staff was friendly. The hotel is near restaurants and shopping. The rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel is easy to find and close to the highway. Nice views of the mountains. Is in the outlying area of Chattanooga which is quiet and pretty. Dislikes: No elevator. The microwave was not plugged in, I had to actually take it out of its cubby and put it on the bedside table to use it since the outlets by the cubby were all full of TV/Internet stuff.

Below average BW Motel, but that is what you get when all are independent franchises, personally I probably would not stay at this particular BW again. Location great to Rock City, Ruby Falls etc. Needs updated, breakfast needs improved,

This hotel is not up to the standards we expect from Best Western. It is an older hotel and it shows. There were places where the paint was chipped, areas showing rust, etc. The carpet in the doorway was worn to threadbare. Clean but worn. The furniture was old and aging poorly. All clean, etc, but old. I would expect this hotel to be at the bargain range but it was of average priced during our recent travels.The lady at check-in seemed disinterested and not happy with her job.

I stayed here for just one night for a quick trip up to Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. I got the Best Western Rewards Rate which was a great deal. I chose this place due to it being less than 4 miles away from Ruby Falls. Rock City was the farthest destination away at less than 10 miles. We also did the Incline Railway. Many restaurants close by. I will stay here again.

Very impressed with the friendliness, cleanliness and staff of this Best Western. Will always stay here when traveling through Chattanooga. This location is convenient to downtown yet away from the hustle and bustle. Next to fast food and Walmart, which was also convenient.

I stayed at the Best Western Royal Inn for 2 nights in September. I had read the reviews before I made my reservations and saw some negativity. I experienced none of that. Check in was very quick and easy. The front desk person answered all my questions with a smile. My room was very clean, quiet, and everything worked. The property is very close to the interstate, but I did not hear a sound at night. Parking was easy and plentiful. There are a few options for meals around, and Lookout Mountain attractions are just a few short minutes away. I had no issues with this motel, and would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay on the West side of Chattanooga.

Very adequate spot for an overnight or two near Chattanooga with easy freeway access and to Lookout Mountain. Convenient to WalMart and a couple restaurants. Exercise room was small but offered a few aerobic workout machines and a simple set of freeweights.

Spent the night here on our quick trip to Branson and back home. Was a very clean, roomy and quiet place to rest. There is a Wal-Mart with gas station nearby. There is also a steakhouse close so we didn't have to go far to fill our bellies or gas tanks. Would definitely stay here again. We have recommended this to our daughter for her upcoming trip.

I made a reservation to stay here last minute when my trip plans changed. Almost missed it since there isn't a sign out front. The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was very clean. Great proximity to a Logan's Roadhouse and WalMart. Beds were nice and comfortable. A/C worked perfectly. Our mini fridge wasn't working but we didn't need to use it and the front desk staff was notified that it didn't work. The continental breakfast was terrific! Scrambled eggs with biscuits and gravy. I would absolutely recommend this place.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The room was very clean and comfortable. The convenience of Walmart, Wendys, Logans Steakhouse and Waffle House was nice. Of course, Lookout Mountain and other sites are all in close proximity. I was especially impressed with the staff, who were professional, courteous and friendly. Always a smile which is nice to see! We truly enjoyed staying here and highly recommend. We will be visiting again anytime we are in the Chattanooga TN area!

I enjoyed my stay very much. The location of the hotel was wonderful with a Walmart near by and minutes from local attractions and downtown. The staff was friendly and the room and surrounding area was very clean. I would defiantly return or rexdomend this hotel!

Motel needs to be remolded and a bigger breakfeast area. Parking on a hill with a motorcycle is not acceptable. We were just not pleased. Why would you have built this motel on a hillI have stayed at BWbefore and this is the worst for parking and breakfeast. After a long day on the road my husband and i had to make 2 trips each to get our gear in and we were at the very end of the walk way on the second floor. Worse btw ever

My husband booked us in for a one night stay as we passed through Chattanooga. At first glance, I was not impressed. The motel looked gritty and run down, and it is located directly on a busy street. There is no elevator, so you are hauling your luggage up the stairs. Our room was not large, and was only one unit away from the road, so I feared it would be noisy. Now, here's the part where I find that appearances are not the whole story. While not glamorous, the bathroom was clean and functional. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and fresh, and the room was surprisingly quiet, so we got a good night's rest. And breakfast! Well.......it may not be gourmet style, but there were sausage patties and biscuits and gravy along with the usual breakfast items, so we were happy campers. We felt we got a good value for the money, and would definitely stay here again.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and came back because the first experience was so good. It's within walking distance to great restaurants and everyday shopping locations. Staff is very helpful. Rooms are clean and well stocked. Pool is always clean. Breakfast is more than bagels and donuts. We have already recommended this hotel to others. This is now our "go to" place when staying in Chattanooga. Thanks again!

Stayed here simply for a place to rest our heads for the night before going to New Orleans. The hotel showed pics of wood vinyl flooring, which I prefer to nasty carpet. First things first, I booked the room on hotels.com for $90.something. When I got to the hotel, they printed me a receipt for $77 (to be continued...as I follow up with Hotels.com about that). Anyway, the lobby/office area reeked so badly of musty/smoky/nastiness, I thought it wasn't going to be a good sign for the actual room, not to mention, that is where the food is served for the continental breakfast. Anyway, the room was carpeted, not vinyl wood flooring. The bathroom was nasty, the shower head was recessed into the wall, like if creepy crawlers wanted to crawl out they could. It skeeved me out. The room itself wasn't bad, but I don't go looking for stuff or else I'd be grossed out completely. The pool was one of the reasons I booked this, so my kids could relax before our drive the next day, but it too was nasty and nobody took advantage of it because it was just nasty. I know you get what you pay for, but at least put air fresheners in the place where you are serving food to guests. Needless to say, we didn't eat their breakfast and I will never be staying here again. The hotel sits right on a busy road. There are no "good views", it's a run down area. The only upside is there is a walmart if you have any shopping to do, right behind the hotel.

Fleas and charged more for room than what I booked on Best Western. We don't offer that rate is what they said. I had to check put a day early. Fleas.. I have a dog so I am not a dog hater but I kept being bitten. Not a lot of sympathy from management.

Took family for 2 days (1 night stay). Best western is located very close to Ruby falls/look out mountain attractions. Well kept hotel with professional staff. Facilities Luke Gym, swimming pool and breakfast are good. Will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is a good place to rest and is a good price. Went with my fiance for a weekend get away and we both were pleased with the staff at this hotel. They were friendly, rooms clean, and breakfast was good as well!

Great price for an over night stay! Stayed here over night on our way to Florida from Ohio. Our room was clean and the pool was awesome for the kids. Close to many activities and shopping.Would stay here again!

We stayed here for two nights while visiting Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain. When arriving, the whole property just seemed like a big parking lot with a pool in it. After checking in, we were given a key, and when we went to our room, there was someone in it! It was very awkward to just walk in on someone, and a bad mistake for the front desk to make. The employee apologized quite a bit, but did admit that she gave us the wrong room. When we entered our room, it was nicely updated and clean. It was comfortable as the air conditioning had been running before we arrived. Unfortunately, we hadn't been given a remote control for the tv, so I had to hunt one down. When we did get a new one, it wasn't programmed, so I had to figure out how to do that as well. Once that was taken care of, everything was fine. The kids enjoyed the pool quite a bit. There are no sidewalks in the area, so don't plan on walking around to explore. The second day of our stay, the maid came in and took our towels, but didn't give us any replacements, and didn't clean our room either. Since we were leaving the next day, we didn't really need clean sheets or anything, but it was weird. I ended up going to get towels from the front desk, but was only given two, despite having four people in our room. Even though we had issues, the staff were nice, and we would probably stay here again for a quick trip. This is not a hotel for an extended stay, in my opinion.

Pretty good value for money. Staff excellent. Clean rooms . Breakfast nothing exciting but ok. Logan's bar and grill near hotel so that was convenient . A little far from the grand old opry but now t a bad cab ride

Was nervous when looking for a good, cheap hotel in the area. I stayed in room 218 and I felt that the room was clean and comfortable. We ate the first night at cracker barell and I won't recommend that but the next two nights we had logans steakhouse and was good food. The only complaint I can have is we were a family of four but only had three towels, which made no sense why knowing we were four we got three towels and had to keep going to get more. Area was quiet, pool was good. Enjoyed the stay.

Rooms were nice and clean, beds were wonderful, property was very nice. Front desk was very nice. Employee at the hotel was so nice to help us with our luggage to the car. Breakfast was great. We will defiantly stay here again!

stayed for one night while traveling through. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Our room was incredibly clean, beds were comfortable, microwave and fridge was a great addition. There is a pool here which many people were enjoying. Grassy area outside our room was perfect for our dogs. There is a pet fee. Breakfast was satisfying. I would definitely stay here again. For the price and what you get it's worth it

I recommend this hotel to everyone. The amount of care and willingness to satisfy there guest are like no other hotel I have ever been to. This includes WDW. These people really care about everything.

We were very pleased with our room at Best Western. It was very clean and comfortable. They have a nice outdoor pool that our kids enjoyed. Breakfast was excellent. Service was excellent. We had booked a 2 night stay at Red Roof Inn but it was disgusting so we canceled the 2nd night and called Best Western. They were able to accommodate us. We were pleased with everything about Best Western. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

Stopped in for a night of rest while on an 11 day motorcycle trip. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed was comfortable. Nice breakfast in the morning. Conveniently.located. Gentleman at check out was pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

The lobby was nice, but the check in clerk was indifferent . . . acted bored with their job and overall rude. The hotel was average in appearance and the comfort of the bed was good. Breakfast was served hot, and in a tidy manner.The food was good and filling. The breakfast room was clean.

Don't stay here: paint on doors peeling,insects in room, room smelled terrible and a/c was weak, drunks fighting and screaming most of the night and the abandoned couch on property next to motel was a strange vagrant site.

Great weekend getaway. Hotel was very good and in a perfect location. Just a short drive to downtown. We enjoyed the hot breakfast of eggs and biscuits with gravy. Staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean. The pool area was well-maintained. The exterior of the building could use a paint job. I also liked the areas that it was in. I felt safe, and it was convenient to everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Royal inn in Chattanooga. It was close to everything we wanted to do and had shops and restaurants etc closely available. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions.

The AC was noisy, the shower was so-so. Breakfast okay, but disposable plates and cutlery made it feel quite cheap. It is close to a Walmarts superstore – so convenient to stock up; and there are convenient restaurants in the Walmarts site.

Decent hotel for a reasonable price close to ruby falls and lookout mountain. Room was clean and the staff was friendly. The complementary breakfast was good and there are other restaurants close by. Overall I'd stay again.

I love its location and its prices every time I stay there. The staff have always been knowledgeable and willing to serve and meet my needs. This is my go to location also because of its easy off and on the the Interstate.

We stayed here so we could go to Rock City first thing in the morning. I was a little worried at first but the room was nice. They did have breakfast in the morning. It was a quick drive to Lookout Mountain if you are thinking about going there.

The bad thing was that I called to make a reservation at another Best Western and drove there. That site did not have me booked, and they were. The attendant called to see what had happened and got everything worked out. My room at this location was their last. So I'm glad I got it. It was clean with an excellent mattress.

The front desk staff was excellent, the room clean and the breakfast a great way to start the day. The bed was comfortable, the hotel quiet and as reward members, we were given water and cookies when we checked in.

Hotel Staff made this a great place to spend the night. Property is older, but in great shape. Room was VERY clean and "everything" worked! Good location...WalMart is a 2 minute drive....Fast Food & Steakhouse within walking distance. Overall, a good stay....we'll book there again.

This hotel was sub-par compared to other Best Westerns we have stayed at. The beds were very comfortable though and it was clean. It was quiet and the people were friendly. The pool was freezing cold the first week of June. I mean like ice. The breakfast was okay but not as good as other Best Westerns I have stayed at.

I called an inquired about this hotel about two months before we made the reservation. The staff on the phone was very nice and told us we wouldn't be far from the attractions and she was right. We were only a few minutes from Ruby Falls and Rock City. We stayed here for three days. The front desk help was great, we were able to get early check in. The room was very clean. The staff works hard to keep this hotel very clean. The free breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Eggs, Sausage, Biscuits and Gravy, donuts and fruit. We will be back.

The room was really nice. It was clean, comfortable, easy access to the highway. Friendly staff, we only stayed 1 night on our way to florida and it was a good stay. Only 2 issues I had personally, we had to hold the flusher for the toilet, not a big deal, considering I've experienced way worse and I could hear some noise, maybe music. But I am also sensitive to sound and always have to wear earplugs even in my own home. Other than the 2 minor things, great stay and I would recommend to anyone needing a nice place on a short stay!

I really can't say anything negative this hotel is not a Best Western Plus nor a Best Western Premier but its clean and comfortable and I give it a thumbs up !!!

Do not usually stay in Best Westerns because of past experience. Most hotels were sold out during the time of my stay, so I chose this one. Not disappointed, it was what I expected. Will only stay here if other hotels are sold out.

It's obvious that this is an older hotel (possibly might have been one of the first hotels in the location before the area started becoming developed), but it is clean and the beds are new and comfortable. It has all the amenities you would expect to find in a hotel of this price point, and it is easily accessible from the interstate.

Worst best western. Room was clean but shabby. Chair broken. Carpet needs cleaning. Pool was closed. Breakfast not that great. I wish I could have a do over. Never never stay at Best Western. it was also away from main attractions in Chattanooga

The room was clean. The night was quiet, meaning a good night sleep. Lookout Mountain was close and downtown Chattanooga was straight down the road, did not have to use the interstate. A Wal-Mart and Logan Roadhouse were in walking distance. Motel is also a quarter of a mile from I-24. ,

I have not had a more personable experience with the staff and the Manager from a Hotel in years!!! seeing the problems that that come up on a normal basis, The whole staff was on and courteous and very efficient.

I was satisfied with the hotel except for the mattresses. The bed actually sunk in. Both beds should have been replaced long ago. The breakfast was fair and the staff was very friendly. We drove into Chattanooga each day and it was an easy drive.

Only a one night stay, but the staff was awesome and the room was very clean and comfortable. The area was fairly quiet and the. check in and check out was quick and easy. Breakfast was totally adequate and just what I needed to get the day started!

I was under the impression it was closer to the I75 when we booked, however it was alright for the price I guess. It was dated and one of our keys didn't work. Even though they knew there would be 4 in each room, (we booked 2 rooms) there was only towels for 2 and one little bar of soap. The rooms could use painting and brightening up and the parking lot had a lot of litter. The breakfast offerings were okay, but the juice is nothing but water. AWFUL.

Good clean rooms, has individual coffee maker in the room, Exterior corridors so it is somewhat noisy with traffic from nearby interstate and local traffic also with sirens clearly heard. plentiful breakfast with eggs, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, [plus make your own waffles. Watery orange juice but apple juice is normal. Breakfast items replaced constantly during serving hours. Ask for room as far from highway as possible to reduce noise in room.

Just a bad stay---keys did not work, overcharged, poor staff,poor parking lot conditions, not enough towels, toilet paper. Tried to contact the staff to work out the problems,and they just seemed like they could care less, I was just to much trouble.

We stayed one night at this hotel. The check in was speedy and the staff was friendly and helpful. The one negative about this hotel was that the rooms open to the outside. I booked the room without knowing this because the picture of the hotel was deceiving. I never stay where the rooms open to the outside due to noise and safety but we were already charged and would not be refunded if we cancelled. This is an older hotel but has been updated. The room was clean, large flat screen TV, beds were comfortable, and room was clean.

Easy on and off from major interstate. A little dated but clean and the staff was great. Free breakfast and it was very good. Would recomend if you need to stay over for 1 night like we did, Zack was super when we checked in. It was late and we were tired and he was helpful in getting us a room on ground floor and we were able to park right in front of our room.

Conveniently located off I-24. Plenty of restaurants in close proximity plus a Walmart Super Center a block away. Check in was fast and the gentleman at the front desk was very courteous. My reservation incorrectly showed up as a smoking room and he was able to quickly change me to a non-smoking room with a king bed. Room had both a microwave and a nice small fridge with a freezer compartment. That is especially nice when you are traveling with food and can put your freezer packs in for an overnight recharge. I rarely eat the the "free" included breakfast so I cannot offer any comments on it. I carry a UV blacklight to inspect for grime that is invisible in normal room light. The toilet could use some attention, but this is almost always the case in every hotel I have stayed. Beyond that the room was spotless. Built on a hillside so parking can be a bit restricted. If you are pulling a trailer, they do have a designated area for RVs, trucks and trailers but you will not be able to park close to your room. No elevator, so if you are mobility impaired or can't climb stairs this may not be the place for you, if no ground floor rooms are available. All in all, I am quite satisfied with my room and would not hesitate to stay here again.

This hotel was very clean and updated. The have 3 floors. No elevators, stairs only. Everything was clean and beautiful. Great continental breakfast choices, and plenty of restaurants around. Excellent information on area attractions. VERY comfortable beds. I am a smoker, stayed in a smoking room, and you would never know it was a smoking room. My Dad is a non smoker, and didn't smell a thing.

We had a hard time with our key, and the man at the desk took the time to go to our room and show us how to use it. Room was spacious, clean & comfortable. Sink area and toilet/shower are separate, which is always a plus when traveling as a family of 4.

I booked through Priceline Express, didn't know the name of the place until booking was complete. It's never let me down & this motel is no exception. The rooms are spotless! Kept that way by a very friendly housekeeping staff. The front desk clerks, specifically Deserie, go above & beyond for guest. Any possible need we had was met by all staff members with a great attitude & smile. The place was booked solid our entire visit, the staff never let any frustration about that show.The property is well maintained. It's a great location, away from the bustle of downtown. There's Walmart directly behind, Wendy's next door, & Cracker Barrel just up the road. The view from the 3rd floor, west facing gets the beautiful sunsets. Large tv & fridge in the rooms & dorm size microwave. It's a 10 min, easy, drive to downtown. Maybe 5 mins to the road for Lookout Mt., the Mt provides the backdrop for the property. Breakfast is adequate to fill 2 hungry boys & decent coffee in the lobby. It's a bit older, but the recent remodel updated it. It's 3 stories, with no elevator. The only ice machine is on the second level. Those are the only negatives, but they aren't bad. The AC units show their age, externally, but most work fine. We would definitely stay here again! The staff & clean rooms alone would be worth it. I've seen plenty of dogs here & there's ample grass patches to walk them.

Pretty standard highway interchange hotel. Conveniently located with plenty of services nearby. There are restaurants within walking distance. Our room was a bit dated and in need of some updating/maintenance. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic. Overall we were satisfied but not overly impressed.

The room was really clean and bed was comfy. The water pressure for the shower was awesome! We had a great stay there. Only downside is that it is close to the road so you hear traffic,but the AC fan helped drown the sound out.

Hotel was serviceable. It was extremely busy with Hurricane Mathew guest. Staff was overwhelmed and management didn't provide the proper support needed to put them in a place for success. Pillows are very thick and don't compress very much. Frustrating for someone who prefers a feather pillow.

Upon arriving and starting with the front desk clerk, pleasant and very accommodating. This attitude was present with every employee encountered. I just regret not taking advantage of its fitness center -- next time!

On the road and only need an overnight stop, this is a good one. Nothing special about the property itself, but the rooms are very clean, the location is great with quick access to Lookout Mtn. , and staff is great. They do their best to honor request. I've stayed here before and will continue when passing through Chattanooga.

We stayed here 3 nights and were in a corner room with a king size bed, closest to the Hwy. If you concentrated, you could hear a bit of traffic noise but it didn't bother our sleep. The room was clean and the pool looked inviting (although we didn't get to it). Being partially disabled, I was a bit concerned that there is no elevator, however Frank (he works there) was happy to help get our bags from the car to the room, and when we checked out, he helped get them from the room to the car. (Nice guy!!!) The staff was friendly and made helpful suggestions for things to see and do. Being close to the various highways, it was a good place to stay.

We checked in around 6p.m Sat. night Oct. 1 front desk was helpful and courteous. went to check room looked clean and orderly. hotel was busy. we went to dinner returned around 9p.m. people in next room had pulled out their chairs were sitting on the walkway talking loudly smoking and drinking finally at 10:30 i knocked on the window and told them we were trying to sleep they went in their room shortly after yelling at us to go to sleep. tried to turn on the light at the vanity to brush teeth and light was out. got up the next morning got in the shower stepped out and was drying off when the light cover on the ceiling light in the bathroom fell and hit me in the back. informed the front desk on check out and was told sorry about that. bad experience for us and last time staying at a Best Western.

The motel is close to the interstate and outside the downtown area. It has easy access to Lookout Mountain, other attractions and a direct drive to downtown. Our room was clean and comfortable and the price was a good value. The breakfast was ready on time and a fair selection of motel breakfast food. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.

Rooms were nicely renovated and look very similar to the pictures the property has posted. Very convenient location only a few minutes away from downtown Chattanooga and Ruby Falls. My only complaint would be that we had a non smoking room but it still wreaked of smoke.

Only spent one night and won't be going back. The clerk was really helpful and kind but the hotel is looking tired inside and out. Few amenities but it was a small place but to boast an exercise room when the hairdryer fell to pieces in my hands, the mirror on the door was not anchored and therefore banged all of the time. The buttons to change channels on the remote did not work neither did the coffee maker.

Friendly and clean hotel, just off the interstate, 10 minutes to downtown Chattanooga. Reception staff were helpful in recommending restaurants in the town and places of special interest. Breakfast is limited but sufficient to start the day.

This hotel might not look like the nicest hotel from the outside, but the inside of the rooms & lobby have been updated very nicely! The rooms were clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in! We even made a joke about strapping it to the roof of the car & taking it home! Breakfast was excellent! Only downfall is they don't serve milk, so if you're a milk drinker, bring your own. But they had a nice selection of food & drinks!

This is a place I used in the past. With the upgrade to the BW brand the Inn is spending money to improve the business. Convenient access to I24. Next to a shopping center with plenty of places to eat. Breakfast was standard fare with fresh fruit and fresh bread. Check-in/out was easy. Used a coupon and got a great deal.

Room well kept, clean, ready for multi day stay trip. Food good, could have a couple extra items on the menu. Parking a little to close for larger vehicle's turn about. Age of building and weather showing signs to touch-up painting with rust protection.

Nice clean budget hotel - the desk lady was kind enough to find us a room even though we arrived early. The room was very clean and well maintained, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located for Lookout Mountain attractions as well as being close to the centre of town. It has restaurants and Walmart right next door. We used the outdoor pool and again found this to be clean and well maintained. Breakfast was good and we had a reasonable choice. Overall we would recommend this as being a very good location for a short stay.

We stopped late in the evening after a long drive from Florida. We specifically looked for a Best Western. The price was in the middle of three properties we had to choose from in the Chattanooga, TN area. We selected this property because the price included breakfast. Although it met our needs, the property is older and because of its location in the Lookout Valley this should make it prime for a major remodeling. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, the amenities were satisfactory, too.

Very good location but be warned - parking is tight. Most spaces seem designed for economy cars and, even worse, they are on a slope. High potential for door dents if someone if not careful opening their door. This is an older hotel and has maintenance issues. The door did not fit tight, lock took several tries for the card to read, etc. There is only one ice machine for the motel and it was usually out of ice. Cleanliness is better than many places. Beds were triple-sheeted and comfortable. TV remote is in some anti-germ bag. The ac in my room worked well. Staff was very limited with just one person working in the evening. Clayton was very polite, helpful and professional at check-in. Gentleman at checkout was not so polite (not rude but not overly friendly) and did not even ask how the stay was or for a return visit. Breakfast was above average with scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, toast, yogurt, etc. They have a good presentation but lose it with plastic silverware that is in horizontal trays and not individually wrapped! The room has four coffee packets and hot cups but no stir sticks, sugar or creamers but only one bar of soap and a tiny bottle of shampoo for up to 4 people.

Took a spur of the moment trip to lookout mountain. Went to this hotel because it was the first one to pop up on google maps. Our room was clean and the bed was soft. There was a problem with the contraption they called a blow dryer. But other than that it was just a room with a bed.

Phoned in reservation at 2:30 PM while driving to location and received a conformation #. When arrived 5:30 PM no reservation on file? Check-in clerk found room. Stayed in Pet friendly room very nice.

The people that work at this Best Western are what set it apart. Flora that works at the front desk makes you feel like family and Frank, the EXCELLENT maintenance guy makes you feel like he's your brother....and fixes whatever needs to be repaired or simply adjusted lightening fast! I have stayed several times and will ALWAYS stay here when my travels bring me to Chattanooga, TN!

One thing that did surprise us was that our beds were not made when we got back to our room that evening. Other than that the room was very clean, comfortable and close to every where we wanted to go to. The staff was friendly and helpful. A really good value for the money! I would stay there again if I traveled to Chattanooga some time again in the future.

Do not stay here! It is not safe! My truck was broken into last night and things were stolen. This is not a safe hotel. The management does absolutely nothing to help make this place safe. Even a fake camera for $20 might have prevented this person with bolt cutters driving up to my truck, snapping the lock, and with headlamps on, unloading my big screen tv, rummaging through and taking things, and getting in their vehicle and driving away! Yes I contacted police and filed a report. Don't stay here!

Nice room for a couple traveling with a small dog. Floor was hardwood which I thought made the room easier to clean if someone's dog had an accident. Great bed and great staff. Nice clean common areas.

In general, this appears to be a fairly well maintained, but older hotel. The staff that I dealt with (Clayton and Zac) were very courteous and professional. The room was clean and in decent repair for its age. Large flat screen tv's (need better cable service), comfortable bed and sofa. A/C was much appreciated on a hot day. Internet was sketchy as it faded in an out often. Unable to watch streaming video when tv cable was acting up. Tight parking spaces. Only appeared to be one ice machine and it was often empty. Have stayed several times but mainly due to how nice the front desk staff is. Breakfast is better than many hotels with scrambled eggs and sausage in addition to the standard cereal, waffles and toast plus juices.

We chose BW because the central reservation agent said they have roll away beds for $10 or a king bed room with a double bed pull out couch; we need space for 5. We hoped for the availability of the roll away. When we got there the sweet kid at the desk said this hotel has no roll aways. So by default, we took the king with the couch bed. The room was non smoking, but smelled of smoke and air freshener. The couch looked like a frat house reject. The cushions were damp and dirty. We took the cushions off and pulled out the bed which was a mess. The mattress looked clean but the metal bed frame was bent and mangled. We had to pull and tug to make it straight. My husband tried to lay in it and it closed up on him. We complained but we were stuck, it was too late and we were tired. We pulled and tugged more and made it so two could lay with out getting folded in. The next day the smooth talking management guy said they have roll aways, just none available, and when I told him about the couch bed, he said, "oh that's broken." He blamed all misinformation on the night check in kid, I didn't believe him, he just wanted me to go away. He said he will discount my room, but when he gave me my reciept, it was the original price! It was obvious he didn't care at all and was patronizing and indifferent. When I told him the ice machine didn't work, he had no reply. Don't be fooled by the fresh coat of paint on the outside. The place should be less than $100 a night even without being folded into a mattress taco.

We stayed here back in November for a stopping point to FL. Since we had such a positive experience, we choose this place again. It is a perfect hotel for that quick over night stay. We had a pet friendly room with laminate floors. You could not tell that another pet had stayed in the room. It's nice to find a reasonable hotel that is clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. Even with the doors opening up to the parking lot and being near a main road, it was not noisy.

We made a reservation through hotels.com from a cell phone. Nowhere on the mobile-friendly site was there an indication that this was a smoking room. When we arrived and checked-in, we realized this. We could not spend the night with a 19-month old toddler in the tobacco-saturated room! They said this was the only room available and they could not accommodate us, toddler or no toddler! They also said that they were still going to charge us $102 for one night!!! We saw at least 2-3 cars parked outside (smoking), waiting to see if there were going to be any cancellations, so I am sure they rented that room out easily that night! A vast majority of the hotels is now completely smoke-free. If you are the one going against the default (have smoking room and are selling them as such), please make it known and apparent to a customer that this is a smoking room during the reservation process. This is what good commerce is. My advice to Flora Pickett, the General Manager of this hotel, is to re-think your approach on how you treat your customers. We also contacted hotels.com's customer service and they were not any help either. Tatiana

This Motel was very different from any Best Western I have stayed in. It was a motel instead of a hotel, the pool was dirty and there were a lot of things that were dirty and outdated. I think we over paid for the condition of the place.

We stayed for one evening before our stay in Cloudland Canyon State Park in GA. Room was nice, clean and tidy. Bathroom was good and very clean! Breakfast was good, warm but not hot like I prefer, but still good.

Location was great without being in the city, the cleaning staff was very nice, breakfast was great kids loved all the options. Coffee was the best me and my husband have ever had from a hotel. Beds were very comfortable. There isn't really one thing I could say bad about this hotel, maybe that they need to update there info notebook there was an ad for a pizza place that was no longer there. Enjoyed our stay would go back when we return to Chattanooga.

My family of 3 were pleasantly greeted at checkin. Checkin was quick and efficient. Our room was on the 2nd floor and overlooked the pool. (We did not use). The room contained 2 doubles, a table w/2 chair, a flat screen and dresser/microwave/refrigerator combination. The sink was located outside of the bathroom (a plus). We were all able to access internet in moments. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Logan's was within walking distance and we enjoyed dinner there. I saw no pets nor signs of pets on the property. The hotel was quiet and we had a quick and pleasant checkout. Flora was on duty during our checkin and checkout. Thank you for your friendliness. We enjoyed our stay and plan on visiting again on our way back through in a few days. (Just a few miles from Ruby Falls/Rock City.)

We checked in and couldn't get in the room. Took the night Manager coming to try repeatedly to get door to work. Finally got in, room was outdated compared to pictures and hot. Had a/c turned down to 60 just to try and cool it. Bathroom was small and no vent to take heat out or let a/c in. Was told by Manager on duty that happens all the time with the doors??? Breakfast was good and that was about it. Paid 140 for the night and could have paid about 20 more at several surrounding places that looked much nicer. I will remember that again if we go thru there.

Nothing fancy about this hotel. It served its purpose for a nights sleep. Beds are very comfortable. I think it was a little over priced. I would look around at other places if I ever return to Chattanooga.

Both managers at check-in and check-out were courteous and prompt. Check-in manager advised me on the traffic situation. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was good. I received an automatic Best Western Rewards membership. I would stay there again,

Room was cramped and parking is terrible. Service was outstanding! Pool was small and needed cleaned. Location was nice as it was on the outskirts of Chattanooga. If you are just passing through and need a descent place to stay this will be perfect. If you and looking for a comfortable vacation get-away opt for somewhere else as this place is quite cramped. Overall it was fair but nothing to write home about.

Don't stay on road side, you will hear traffic. Advertise with views, I didn't see any. Now the good stuff, very clean, good staff, good pool. Close to attractions. Wendy's, gas station and beer store within walking distance. Also a Logan steakhouse, but I wouldn't recommend.

immediate check in was a bad start to the stay - waited in lobby for 10 minutes before i had to go to the upstairs and find management (living quarters above lobby). breakfast seating is limited and they do not have a high chair. breakfast is very basic and not that great. ac in room seemed to never work properly - it would only run for a few minutes and kick off. parking is tight. only benefit is location. not worth the money though.

This BW is close to the highway, which is good. You get there late from a long drive, you check in, you sleep, you get up and leave. That's about it. The rooms are nothing special, but at least they are clean. The heater/AC is loud and mostly ineffective, but it drowns out the parking lot noise. The TV's are ancient, and the 'breakfast' is....uninspiring. Overall, this is a place to stop on your way if you need 8 hours rest, and have dog. If you don't need a dog friendly place, there are better options.

They really worked hard to accommodate me but this hotel's cleaning products set my allergies off BIG time! It is VERY clean and it was just too much for my system. Eyes began to burn, throat closed up, ears began to get stopped up. They gave me another room with carpet versus hard wood but the air conditioner did not work in that one. Overcleaning. If you are sensitive to such things, beware!

We stayed for 3 nights after making a phone reservation for a pet friendly room. When we arrived they had overbooked an only had regular rooms available - they called us twice on two different days about dogs barking in the room and asked if we notified them that we had dogs - this staff obviously doesn't talk to each other or keep good records or even look into situations before calling us on our cell phone - but the people smoking in the non smoking rooms next door was obviously fine too, outdoor area to walk pets was extremely tiny and the poop bags were always empty, breakfast wasn't very good. Rooms weren't extremely clean, size was okay and they did have a coffee maker, blow dryer, table and chairs, mini fridge and microwave which is always nice. Hotel had a pool but was worn and needed to be updated. I would definitely go back to Chattanooga - it was great town with lots to see - but I won't be staying here ever again. It's a shame because we picked this hotel since it was listed on the Rock City (which is dog friendly) website as a pet friendly place - I'd pick one of the others to try! It was a good location - short drive to attractions and shared a lot with a Walmart. However, after staying here I'm surprised a destination like that would advertise a place like this.

Lots of fast food and Walmart nearby. The room was fine- clean, roomy. It is motel style, which some don't like. Since it is pet friendly we were awakened at 6 AM by a dog going out and barking. Breakfast was fine, average. The staff was super friendly.

Stayed in chattanooga for one night and paid less than 100 for the room. Overall the experience was worth recommending to another traveler. PROS: *The staff was nice, we had someone named Isaiah taking care of everything at the desk for us *The pool for the hotel was clean and even open a little later than regularly scheduled *The rooms were updated, such as flat screen TV and a/c to help beat the humidity of the area (I never thought this was something to be glad about until I paid for a hotel three times as much as this room and the TV were still fat back Flintstone aged and there a/c did not work) *Their breakfast is free *BEDS WERE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE! (I was jealous of their beds in comparison to my own at home) CONS: *I suspected the bath tub was not cleaned correctly after their last guest so I did not take a shower *The stairways outside of the rooms are loud at night with late comers (I was too tired to notice but we did notice before drowning in sleep) *There is only an ice machine upstairs on the 2nd level and you must bring your own little cup or bucket *Parking spaces should be a little more wider apart (a lot of trucks were there that night we stayed and I was afraid someone would hit my car or vice versa of me backing out) *Felt as if I needed more blankets so I stole the other bed comforter and used that *Although we only stayed one night and was afraid to make use of the shower, if we would have there would not have been enough towels for the 2 of us.

Isaiah is wonderful and gave his help with a smile and grace. On the other hand, It is a motel and someone tried to get in our room at 12:30 at night! The bathroom sink is not part of the bathroom itself so if you travel with an early riser, lights are a problem.

We stayed just 1 night in Chattanooga so we could go to the Tennessee Aquarium. This hotel was only a few miles away. It's located next to a Walmart shopping center, gas stations and restaurants. It has exterior halls but everything was very clean and nicely done. There was an outside pool that we didn't get the chance to use but it looked very clean and nice. We would stay here again if in the area.

We stayed here a couple nights while traveling with friends on vacation. There is nothing fancy about this hotel. Just good basic accommodations. Our room was clean and everything worked as it should. The staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Good room, service, and breakfast. Only thing needing attention was extra care to the bathroom repairs. The ceiling was stained and a hole around the shower head and vent that needs to be repaired. Staff at check-in very helpful.

Front desk personnel was very welcoming and friendly; however, they gave us the wrong key. After getting the new key, we walked into a room we had not booked (it was a smoking room with just a king bed and we had booked a non-smoking room with 2 beds). By this time, my husband was aggravated as it was late and we had already unloaded and carried all our bags around for 15 minutes. The room décor was ok for a budget level hotel, but the noise level from the highway kept my husband awake most of the night. The shower was large, but the bathroom did not have an exhaust fan to remove the steam and moisture, which made the room even more humid. I didn't mind my bed, but my daughter said hers was very uncomfortable. The free breakfast was nothing to brag about, but always a plus to have. All in all, I definitely wouldn't stay there again with all the other options in the area in its class. We usually stay at hotels with a class rating of 2 1/2 or more. This was rated a 2 1/2 star hotel, but it was definitely not as nice as all the others we've booked in its class.

We had stayed at this hotel before so did not search for any other. This time was not a pleasure. It was just the two of us. There was only 1 bath towel, 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel. One bar of soap and 1 bottle of shampoo/conditioner. The room was not very clean and was shabby looking. Good thing we had two double beds because there was no way we could have slept together. Breakfast had very few choices. Will not be staying there again.

On arrival, the Best Western couldn't find our reservation made through Booking.com: maybe this was a sign we shouldn't have proceeded, but we made a call to Booking.com who confirmed our reservation was in fact forwarded to the Best Western Royal Inn on the 8th November 2015. The clerk on the front desk said there were rooms available, and so we checked in. On entering the room, we quickly discovered a tissue by the bedside unit, which had not been removed when the room had been "cleaned" from a previous guest using that room. We could also see on the "wooden" floor where a fizzy drink had been spilt and not cleaned and also this "fizzy" drink was evident against the wooden bed head too. Light by one side of the bed, the socket did not work to charge phone / camera etc. Loose toilet seat and also loose towel rail in the bathroom. Also behind the bathroom door dirt and dust as clearly they only open the door to "clean" and I will use term loosely and do not clean behind the door! The rooms were noisy as you could hear guests in adjoining rooms. Limited toiletries supplied and not topped up on a daily basis. We were out for all of the next day and when we arrived back to the room, our bed had not been made or freshened with clean linen. There were however, clean towels and the bins had been emptied. We asked at the front desk why no clean bedding or the bed remade and was told " it is done every other day". OK we accepted what we were told. The following day having been out for the whole day again, we returned to our room to find the bed had not been remade or bedding changed, which we had assumed would happen as we had been told the previous day. As we were checking out the next day, it wasn't worth going to reception to say our room had not been attended too. The breakfast was very basic and didn't look appealing. Towels very thin and old. It seems for security reasons also they change the internet log in code every Monday, but don't tell their guests. It would be simple to mention this at check in, put it in the guest information folder in the room, phone the room for those guests still staying and leave a message for them advising of this. But no its for the guests to find out when they cannot log on to the internet. There is also a sign saying pets allowed by prior arrangement, if we had known this we would definitely have not stayed here. We never stay at places where pets are allowed, as this is our personal preference. It doesn't bear thinking about what those rooms are like that have had pets in - you would like to think that they have designated "pet" rooms, but who knows. The hotel was close to Ruby Falls, Look Out Mountain/Rock City / Incline Railway. There is a swimming pool at the "hotel" but it didn't look inviting. Upon check out - the Manager, Flora asked if we had been happy with our stay and so we mentioned all of the above - she did seem somewhat surprised and shocked. She agreed to refund one nights stay, which was appreciated. However, on checking our booking confirmation from Booking.com, on arrival back here in the UK, we have in fact been overcharged and not the rate agreed last November, and as yet no sign of a refund on the on line banking showing a reversal of the overcharged cost and a revised bill, which is still more than the original confirmation of the cost from Booking.com. This will be taken up with both parties. Can really recommend Logan Steakhouse virtually adjacent to the BW. BW are run on a franchise basis and I cannot believe this place is allowed to trade under this international banner. This place needs investment, the pictures shown on the internet are very deceptive, clearly the management are happy to overcharge you on an agreed rate and clearly not wanting to reinvest in the property. Couldn't wait to leave.

The staff was great but the room was terrible. The bath room need to be cleaned the curtains smelled like smoke. They told me we had the best room in the house, not so. The grout around the toilet & bathtub was so black it looked like it has never been cleaned. The dirt behind the bathroom door tells me they don't mop the floor

Clean room, comfortable beds, and wonderful, helpful staff. Check in and check out were easy. I brought two dogs who loved the place! It was great to find a convenient, reasonably priced motel that accepted dogs. The best thing about the motel is the staff -- from check in to check out. Thank you.

Truly disappointed with this Best Western. This is what makes me leery of booking in advance. No reason not to glue down wallpaper where it is coming away from the wall. My white socks were dirty from walking on the carpet.

We had an overnight Motorcycle trip with 3 other couples.... We attended the Cornbread Festival in South Pittsburgh, TN..... The room was clean, roomy, nice mattress & convenient... Check out & check in was very easy... The Breakfast was sufficient... We will stay there again in the future..,

The B.W. Royal Inn, Chattanooga, TN is a very clean hotel. The price is reasonable with a great FREE breakfast: eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, toast, waffles, yogurt, coffee, milk, cereal, bagels, fruit, etc. I recommend it.

This hotel is great value for an overnight stop on I-24 or for touring Lookout Mountain area. It is conveniently near the interstate and restaurants. The breakfast is simple, but adequate. The staff is very friendly and professional.

Just stayed over night on our trip north from Florida. Room was clean & newly renovated. Hotel staff was friendly & helpful. Close to the highway so easy to get back on the road in the morning. Didn't stay for the breakfast. Will stay again.

Old but clean and well maintained. On a hillside so getting in and out of the car can be tricky for us old folks. Near attractions. Good breakfast. We've been hear before and will stay again when in the area.

It was a late night stop to get a room during a recent trip from Florida to Indiana. There are several hotels in the vicinity, but I chose the Best Western because of good past experiences with this chain. If you drive a larger vehicle, such as my pickup truck, be prepared for the small parking lot that wraps around the building. When cars are parked along the edge, it makes it very tight to fit around the building. While the bed was comfortable, the room smelled like smoke once I turned on the AC unit. People go out on the walkways and smoke outside, so there really isn't any way to get around this. Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere. The rest of the room was what a bit less than average for the price paid. The decor and furnishings are somewhat dated and the shower wasn't anything spectacular. Again, I did sleep comfortably, which was really needed. Also, the breakfast area is in the lobby and is very small. I think there were maybe four tables in all.

Our room was on the second floor but as the parking lot slants we did not have to walk up stairs. They did not have a king room available so we had two doubles. The room seemed dated but had a fridge and microwave. I understand this is a highway motel but it had some type of boys team there and they ran up and down outside the door and some kind of basketball bouncing on the floor above us and jumping on the bed. it was horrible. I called the front desk and it slowed down a little but not much. The next morning as we checked out the clerk apologized and said they told the coach. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. There is a Walmart across the street so I was able to buy some.

Breakfast at these places aren't very good, everything else is just fine. Liquor store next door, Chicamauga(sp)National Military park is 20 minutes away. Uber to downtown for $8 plus tip. Area lacks decent restaurants, Logan's is probably the best chain nearby.

I stayed one night on my way from Florida to Kentucky. The room was very nice but the floors are tile. I was on the first floor and could hear the child above us running back and forth all night. If I stay here again, I will choose the top floor.

The location of this hotel is good. It's in a beautiful area of TN. That said, the room was disappointing. The bathroom area was not clean. Every time I walked into that area, my feet were dirty! The rest of the room was acceptable. The breakfast was fine. I would not, however, choose to stay here again.

Ok, the only positive thing I can say about this place is the location is convenient to I24 and 75. With that said, the room we had was not exactly clean. In fact, I'm pretty sure the toilet bowl had not been cleaned. The bed was made sloppily made and the sheets were dingy and stained. The couch in the room was filthy and looked as if it had seen better days several years ago. They are pet friendly but there is no green space to walk your dog. We did not stay for breakfast since I figured it would be about as good as our room. Also, this is not a hotel. It is an old motel with all doors opening directly into the parking lot. When we left, there was a some guy sleeping in his pick up truck so it would be safe to say the parking lot was not monitored.

Disappointed that we were given a smoking room. When we made reservations on trip advisor, there was no indication that we would receive a smoking room. It didn't provide an option to pick smoking or nonsmoking. Other than that, we were satisfied.

Service and staff were exceptional. Breakfast was better than expected. Hotel a little dated but clean and well equipped. Convenient to several restaurants, wal-mart for incidentals and area attractions

We stopped here on our way home from New Orleans, very basic hotel out door entry to the rooms. They were somewhat dated and not really worth the charge. There is a Logan's roadhouse very close, walking distance. Ok place not high on my list of places to return.

My familly of 5 decided on a quick overnighter in Chattanooga to visit the Aquarium the next day. We were in room 220 and it was just a plain double queen, but it was a lot more spacious than we expected it to be and very clean. Room rates were a lot cheaper than if we were to get a place closer to the Aquarium or get the hotels with the "aquarium packages". We ended up spending less money by staying here and buying our tickets separate.... and we were only 10 minutes from the Aquarium. It was just what we needed. Every staff member I saw was extremely nice and we had a great time. Thank you Best Western Royal Inn! We will be back for our next overnighter!

I had issues my second day there. My room needed to be clean and I needed fresh towels Etc. So I left in the morning to go on my adventures and when I returned my "do not disturb"hanger was mysteriously hanging on the OUTSIDE of my door. I am 110% certain I didn't put that there. I specifically remember seeing it on the floor in the room next to the desk .The housekeeping lady (who I saw that morning outside my door cleaning the next room) obviously didn't feel like cleaning my room and opened the door and put that hanger up when I left . When I returned I went to talk to the front desk lady and told her my situation . She was oh so very rude , looked at me with a snotty face and says "well what do you want me to do about it " . I got real upset and she called the managers on the phone and and was saying to them "I'll quit if you make me clean that room blah blah blah ...completely unprofessional. She didn't by any means handle the situation properly. She should have apologized and said let me get you towels or something !!! It was ridiculous. Horrible customer service. The next morning the manager spoke to us and the housekeeper lied about putting the hanger there and claimed it was already there. Why would I put it there if I needed my room cleaned?!! Hello! She needs to be fired. Or they need to get cameras so they could have seen her do that. The manager apologized but seemed to be siding with the employees and not believing me . She kept trying to justify it by sayin "well I saw the do not disturb sign".Well that doesn't mean I put it there!! The housekeeper put it there then the manager saw it AFTER! It isn't rocket science I'm just absolutely baffled this happened. Who does that ?.. . As far as everything else...The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from the parking lot and the rooms above and next to you. The parking is super tight . The only positive thing about my stay was the biscuits and gravy. They were amazing and the bed was comfy

We were passing through Chattanooga and enjoyed this location because of it's proximity to Lookout Mountian. It is also located close to great shopping and restaurants and away from the busy traffic of downtown. The staff are great, rooms are spacious and the breakfast delicious.

Good place to stay with a pet. Rooms were set up for pets. There was an extra charge per pet. Good clean room. Good service. Will stay there again. Good location to stay when visiting Chattanooga Tn. Local gas stations were lower than most in Chattanooga.

Everything was excellent. I plan to stay here again when going back to Florida. Rate was very good and it was a great place to stop and get needed rest before traveling to Chicago. Breakfast had eggs, sausages, cereal, juice, waffles, yogurt, donuts, bagels, biscuits and gravy, toast, coffee and milk .Everything was hot and was always full.

Manager was going to charge me an extra 6.00 for another night, so I checked out as it was the principle.I explained that I usually stayed there when I came in town and wanted to keep the same rate but he would not hear of it.. I will stay here again, mainly due to 6.00 There is a lot of completion and I'm others would appreciate my business.

Staff very courteous and knowledgeable. Walking distance to restaurants, good hot breakfast. Laminate flooring was a surprise for a hotel and décor was sparse but everything clean and comfortable. Good value for the price.

Hotel met our needs we would stay there again. Standard fare continental breakfast. Conveniently located near I-75. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Embarrassing problem when we couldn't get the toilet to flush. Housekeeping wasn't in, requested a plunger that a staff person brought to the room. We fixed the issue ourselves.

We were looking for something economical on our way to FL. This place was a very pleasant surprise. When we walked into our room, it smelled fresh and clean and looked spotless. The sheets were soft and VERY clean. Could have used an extra blanket. The free breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, juice, waffles, bagels, donuts, yogurt, cereal, coffee. The breakfast area had a great TV, free newspapers and wsvery clean. The reservationist was so pleasant and accommodating.

Stayed here only 1 night while passing thru area. Room was clean & spacious. However is a little dated. Handicap travelers might have a tough time here as the property is on a big down sloap on side of a hill. parking lot is not flat at all. Next door to a Wendy's & a Logan's Roadhouse. We would stay here again if passing thru.

I could not remember from several years ago why we stopped staying here but our recent trip reminded me why. We requested a first floor room for my disabled wife but this did not happen. Common amenities like shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc were not in the room and a call to the front desk yielded that they do not supply them and never have. The towels were as rough as sandpaper and the beds were lumpy. Did not sleep too well this night. On our return trip through Chattanooga we stayed at a Quality Inn at exit 175 for $30 cheaper with a full display of amenities and soft, fluffy towels. We also got the first floor as requested.

I have stayed at this hotel every time that I have been in the area. It is very nice and clean. The employees are very nice and very efficient. The beds are very comfortable and clean. I love the hardwood floors. Sure looks better than the stained carpet. I would recommend this place to anyone. Room 113 is my favorite.

The Royal Inn has exceptional Staff and super clean and comfortable rooms every time we stay. The beds are so comfortable you don't wish to get up. The staff is very helpful even offering to assist helping with taking bags up the stairs. Always go the extra mile.

The only reason I, personally, wouldn't give this hotel five stars is because it's located right next to a Walmart on a somewhat busy highway, and there isn't much else to choose from in the immediate vicinity as far as restaurants and shopping. That may be seen as a plus to some travelers, however. It was fine for our purposes--we just needed to use our rewards points to stay one night and weren't looking to do any sightseeing. The king bed was very comfortable, and the tub was pretty big with plenty of hot water. Air and fridge worked fine, and check-in was easy and courteous. Would stay again if passing through Chattanooga, but wouldn't make this a destination as it is kind of out of the way for touristy-type things. However, the downtown area, restaurants, and aquarium are close enough that if you were to prefer staying away from downtown, it wouldn't be too much of a hassle to drive there.

I had room 202 and it was a very nice, clean room with the best bed in any motels I have ever stayed at. Nice breakfast, good staff. Staff recommended a dinner establishment up the hill (Roadhouse) which was also a great choice. I will be back when I come thru again,

Far below standards no hot water in the am did nothing to rectify the situation, No wake up call. Breakfast was below standards for Best Western. Beds were extremely hard. Kind of noisy, semi's park near rooms and run all night, tankers blowing off pressure and making noise all night. Check out staff rude when asked about no hot water in the am, said it is out of our hands.

Room was clean & beds comfortable, great continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy but that's not we required so this was a perfect layover with fair prices. Would stay again if in the area.

We stayed here en route to Memphis during a driving holiday in the USA. We were trying not to stay at the freeway side accommodation precincts, so when we got to this one, we wanted to make sure the hotel was of a good standard. The Best Western brand promise is good and we were not disappointed with the Royal Inn. The room was quite large, with modern decor and furniture. The location was noisy, however the quality of the building and insulation of the rooms, meant that once the door was closed, there was little noise from outside. Breakfast was substantial and served in a comfortable dining area. The hotel is adjacent to a small shopping mall that includes a Walmart, so it was easy to walk in and get food and supplies. Check-in was friendly, but check out, by a different person, was a bit clinical. The person was of little help when I asked for advice on Best Western properties in Memphis.

Room was great bed was comfy, room stayed a comfortable temp, tub and lamp shade little messed up, but overall i was happy breakfast was great, cups little small for juice but taste and quanty were great, internet was tad slow, but that could have been my device. tv wasnt best quality was very hazy, but watchable. id stay again fro sure if i needed to be in that area or passing thru again

great hotel like the bed in room 212 , breakfast is good and hot, always clean and the staff is very helpful. Flora the manager is very acomidating and making sure our needs are met . we generally have a staff of at least 10 workers staying at the hotel with us..

The hotel has a good location for getting to Chattanooga and very convenient to Lookout Mountain. A few restaurants close and the restaurants in Chattanooga are 5-10 minutes by car. The beds are comfortable, the room is a good size, ample parking, the room was clean, hotel breakfast was standard, wifi free but so so... in other words, all amenities as expected. Nothing great but very comfortable. The main attraction was a family of cats that regularly hung out in the parking lot. They were the only distinguishing characteristic of this Best Western.

Very easy to get to when coming into Chattanooga from the NW. It's close to Lookout Mountain, so that was fun to explore, The room was clean w/separate sitting area. We are in a corner room next to the road, so traffic was a little noisy. Breakfast was adequate. We'd stay here again.

could use a little repair work in bathroom but other than that all is good. The outside area close to the property could be much cleaner than it is today. it makes the place look dangerous to stay there,please clean this up

The room is very comfortable for a young family, it is split into 2 rooms one with sofa bed and on the other section is the king size bed, very clean, overlooks the mountain where it is a beautiful view, adjacent to super Walmart, Parking is on a hilly area so your car will be parked in an30 or 40 degree angle. They have a good breakfast. Staff are very helpful. Very close to attractions. Very reasonable price.

A partial list of failings of this motel: 1. Front desk person WAY too interested in berating an employee to even bother noticing a customer (and four groups were waiting.) 2. Pet room we booked (for cat) had animal food spread throughout room, along bed, in bathroom. No vacuuming had been done since prior visitors (but we were paying $15.00 for a pet room cleaning.) 3. A nail sticking up out of a border strip from carpet to tile entering bathroom, to the point it could have cut a foot. 4. Coffee pot did not work. Had to be replaced. 5. Shower head ring pulled away from wall. This is obviously a way out of date, poorly maintained 1960's motel in need of intense rehab or demolition.

Stayed there one night property was maintained in excellent condition. Common areas were clean and liter free balconies and steps were swept and mopped.The room were the cleanest I have stayed in and have stayed at many 4 star resorts and recently a five star that could not match how clean this room was.. Also the the staff was eager to meet any of your needs. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer place at this rate.

Passing thru on the way home for Christmas and needed a place to stay. Clean and quiet. Better than I expected. Reasonable rates. Breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable and the showers had great water pressure! I would stay here again.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of Chattanooga, near Lookout Mountain and Raccoon Cavern Mountain. It is a short drive into Chattanooga, and just off the highway. The room had 2 double beds and was quiet. Breakfast in the lobby was delicious and plentiful - the gentleman handling the breakfast area was most efficient. Angela and Peter at the front desk both answered every question we had about the area. We did have an issue with the toilet in our room the last night - we were given a plunger and told that the plumbing was due to be snaked out the following day.

No complaints here, except for the noisy heating/air conditioning unit. Clean, nice beds and pillows, no carpet on the floor which is good when staying in a pet friendly room with your own pets. Not a bad hot breakfast in the lobby, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and sausage gravy, juices, yogurt, cereal, and the coffee is not bad for hotel coffee. Grassy area to walk the dogs, even poop bags available in dog walking area. A little pricey for each dog ($15 extra for each dog), but all in all, a pleasant place to spend the night.

We were traveling from Florida to Illinois and had only recently started staying at Best Westerns. This property did not disappoint! The desk clerk was friendly and explained the amenities. Nice clean room, pet friendly, beautiful wood laminate floors instead of nasty carpets. Coffee pot and blow dryer in the room, as well as a microwave and small fridge. Located conveniently just off of I-24, with lots of dining choices nearby. The king size bed was perfect! It had nice clean sheets and plenty of pillows. Breakfast is served beginning at 6:30 a.m., and there's a nice selection...scrambled eggs, waffles, biscuits and gravy, sausage, coffee, tea and juice. Because we're now Best Western Rewards members, we got a $25 discount and additional points to use on our next trip. You can also request a room with a view of Lookout Mountain! AARP, military and AAA discounts are also available. All in all, a welcome stop on our trip!

We stayed at this hotel on the way to going on a cruise. The rooms were very clean bed was comfortable. Would stay at this hotel again. Very good location right of the interstate and very easy to find.

We have had no luck finding a decent, reasonably priced hotel room that allows dogs while traveling. We only need a room overnight so we don't want to spend a lot of money. We found this hotel on this site and decided to give it a try based off of the reviews. We checked into a clean room with laminate floors. I don't know why more hotels who allow pets would put laminate floors in their pet rooms. No pet smells to clean up. No stains. Thank you Best Western!

We stayed here for two nights. The hotel was very clean and extremely reasonable. We couldn't have picked a better location. It was convenient to everything we did while we were in Chattanooga. The check in process was very easy and the staff were very friendly. We did not take advantage of the breakfast offered but I did pass through the lobby one morning and it looked like a nice offering. The only thing I would have to say negative, and it was not that bad, was one side of the king bed dipped a little bit but I still slept well.

I have stayed in many a hotel with my dog and usually that means that you have to settle for a smoking room with questionably stained carpet. Not so a the Best Western Royal Inn. They put a lot of thought into the comfort and convenience of their pet–friendly rooms. So much so, that I decided to take time to write a review. 1. The floors were a beautiful wood laminate! I've never seen that before. No carpet. Which was good since it was rainy while we were there. (It would be helpful to have a broom in the room to sweep out grass clippings in between maid services). 2. Location – the room was right across from the dog walking area. And they had a special trash can with pick-up bags available. 3. Hair dryer – at first I was confused by the antique looking hair dryer but soon I realized that it was intended to be used on people and pets. It had a long flexible hose that could reach down to a wet dog standing on the floor. 4. No comforter. They had a blanket sandwiched between two sheets. Much easier for us and them to keep clean. 5. Quick maid service. Special Thanks to Janine, who cleaned our room. We told her when we were leaving with our pet and she said she would have the room done in 30 min. We always came back to find the cleaning exceeded our expectations. 6. Extra towels without asking - They stocked the room with three sets. One for each person and another for the dog. It was great to have extra towels to wipe his wet feet. The one thing that could have made the room more comfortable - for us - would be the addition of a dresser. The extra drawer and counter space would have been helpful since we were staying for a week and had a lot of dog supplies and extra clothing. But I imagine they removed the dresser so that pets could have more floor space to roam. Big KUDOS to this hotel. It is the best pet friendly room I have encountered in my travels and I applaud the smart thinking that went into the design. Highly recommended for travelers with pets.

We don't like staying in exterior room hotels but this was the last hotel in the area that had a room left so we stayed here. The outside of the hotel was the only thing we didn't care for. The inside was great. Rooms are updated with nice décor and clean, just like pictures showed. Just need more tables/chairs for breakfast area.

We were given a large room that had been converted from a Jacuzzi room. The floor was a wooden laminate and very clean. The bath had tile floors and everything was spotless. I prefer these type of floors since you never know what is deep down in the carpets.We were next to the road, but the noise was bearable. The breakfast was the average breakfast but the scrambled eggs were tasty.. Close to restaurants and main highway.

Between being extremely close to the very busy Cummings Highway and other guests making a great deal of noise outside at all hours, this place is LOUD. Bring earplugs or stay elsewhere! Also, while the hotel has been updated, the work done was shoddy at best. It's easily the worst Best Western we've stayed at, though that still makes it better than many other hotel chains.

We made Chattanooga our stopover on the way home from Florida with the intention of visiting Lookout Mt. but we were too late and too tired to go. The hotel is older, but the price seemed reasonable. The room was very clean and no bed bugs. We took advantage of the free breakfast before leaving. Close to the highway.

A quiet decent hotel. The staff were friendly. The rooms were neat and well kept. The breakfast was average. We liked that fact the parking was so close to the rooms. A number of times I got wrong calls in my room which was annoying.

We stayed here for two nights on a visit to Lookout Mountain. The Room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk clerk was very friendly and it was very convenient to Lookout Mountain. The only thing I would like to see different were the hair dryers. They were very old and took for ever to dry your hair.
