I definitely do not recommend this Best Western when planning a stay in the Canal Winchester area! I booked a room for my parents and had the worst customer service via phone (I was hung up on twice) and then had the most rude customer service when checking in (even my dad was disturbed). Also, while I had requested a non-smoking room, my parent's room was full of smoke. My parents were then moved to a room upstairs (although there are 27 rooms downstairs and only a handful of cars in the parking lot). My parents were also told that there was no elevator. I found this to be a disservice for many who may need the elevator - especially my parents who have knee problems at 70 years old. While visiting my parents, I noticed leaky ceilings in the hallways; less than pristine cleanliness in the rooms; and an unkept indoor pool. Please do better, Best Western Canal Winchester Inn.
good location, ok hotel, breakfast was pretty good. Room smelled like smoke, but we do not smoke. Not too bad
We simply needed a place to sleep before continuing our trip. BW is a generic motel, nothing special either way.
The mattress was worn out and in terrible condition. The entire central section of the mattress was visibly crushed in. We told the manager, but all they did was flip it. Two nights trying to sleep on this mattress was very uncomfortable to say the least. This is unacceptable. It is hard to believe that a Best Western hotel can allow such subpar conditions to exist in any of their properties.
Room smelled of dirty dog, only 1 outlet in room worked. Several lights didn't work. Heat was on so room was hot upon arrival. Bed was uncomfortable, wobbled, and was noisy. There was black curly hair in the hot tub and shower. Pool and pool room was cold. Man at front desk was extremely rude and impersonal.
Do not do it. My stay here had me feeling uneasy the whole time. We first get there walking past the front desk and what I assume is the guy working the front desk keeps stressing for us to read the no smoking information. He keeps saying no smoking. Made sure to mention if it's parties you will be put out. Put out put out put out. Okay I heard you. We are not hard of hearing and do not have a learning disability. Why have I heard it 3 times already. Tell me what you have to offer or enjoy my stay. Tell me where things are. I know you don't just say no parties and no smoking. From the time I got there I recorded everything that I did. I recorded how clean the room was when I left it. The time and date. My sister set the room up for me for my anniversary. The room had 6 balloons in it on a string. When she came in they said we don't do parties. Why was that explained my whole stay until I checked out by the morning time. During my stay in the said room was a dirty thong. The same man that was racially profiling us the whole time came to the room with someone else to see the room and what was inside. Also to retrieve the thong next to the bed. Was the room even cleaned!? Not once said anything about it being a party inside the room. Why? Because it was no party. He saw the happy anniversary. Didn't even look like a party. My grandmother had to come clean the room because my sister was already set up with our things in it. We never made a big deal. Was going to make the best of it. I check out at 9am and the front desk person says to me I was left a note saying to keep your deposit because you had a party, they said they saw balloons on the camera. Why was I not put out like he kept stressing at check in. If you saw on the cameras you would see it was no other people and no party. Mind you we weren't there long because we didn't come to the room until damn near bed time. It was late. Check in was at 3. We only got to sleep for a couple of hours. I explained to her we are two government employees who were just trying to relax away from home. We get hotels all the time and never have any issues. The only reason we booked here was because our usual place doesn't have any rooms available for the one day we wanted. I explained it would NEVER happen again. Nothing was relaxing of the stay. Spending my hard earned money to just go home wishing we never placed a reservation here. My sister and grandmother made sure to go by the desk when they were leaving to let them know that they were leaving because they felt like the guy from the desk was going to try to say it was more than 2 people staying in the room when it was only booked for 2. That's what I mean how the whole experience was for everyone. Frustrating. Good people you make feel as terrible as you did. Shame on you! All people of color do not smoke. We are not all about parties. I tried to not even select a star but I had to in order to leave a review. :-/
This relatively older hotel is very well-maintained and clean. The staff was very attentive, and everything in the room was satisfactory. Our only complaint was the pool, which was cloudy, and the temperature in the pool and the pool area was cold. Tammy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful.
This quaint hotel far from exceeded my expectations. It was very well priced, clean and the staff was very friendly. The indoor pool is wonderful. Breakfast was good with many options. We will be staying here in the future when in town!
Have never had a problem. If something needed attention, it was taken care of immediately. Internet worked with no problem. Breakfast was more than enough for us. Room was clean and comfortable. No ther comments .
Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would stay here anytime we are in the area. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They provided us an area to have a pizza party with our Taekwondo friends.
Check in was ok room was clean bed was very comfortable. The door lock getting into the room was hard to open. Housekeeping did not make the bed or empty the trash they did provide towels and toilet paper; they did not make the bed.
Asst. Manager Tammy was extremely Rude and unprofessional. She smelled pot in the pool area of the hotel and assumed it was us. She called us at 8am to tell us we have 15 minutes to leave be ause she could smell pot. When I said it wasnt us can you please come up to the room and check for yourself. She was rude and said no that she was positive it was us. We went down to the desk 5 minutes later to check out. She continued to be rude and unprofessional about the hole thing. She kept repeating I know it was you and I don't have to answer your questions. About 3 hours later when I assu.ed they went to clean our room and inspect it for damages we got our full cleaning deposit back. Will never stay with this hotel chain again.
The hotel was located near restaurants and shopping, so you did not have to go far to get any food or items you need.. The manager, Tammy, was very nice and accomodating. Very easy to talk with. The pool was the right temp for swimming. The breakfast was amazing, hot and a variety of breakfast items. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Canal Winchester location has malfunctioning jacuzzi room and I was asked to leave because of leakage. No one bothered to come check for themselves to see what the cause was. The manager was very rude, crabby, yelled at us. Refused to refund me my 2nd night that I paid for and threatened to charge my card $500 as well.
I always use best western when me and the husband want a getaway from the kids to just get some quiet sleep and not have to wake up early in the morning to fix breakfast for everyone and instead have breakfast made for us
Manager Tammy was very unprofessional I specifically asked when will my deposit be back on my card they continuously told me 2 business days after our check out I called the third day to check an Tammy the manager proceeded to get smart telling me I should have paid attention an I would know it's out of her control I have to wait 10 days after my check an with the holidays I won't get it anytime soon she than calls me a racial name an hung up on me after I asked why I was giving false information
12/10/2021 I saw ROACHES around the refrigerator in my jacuzzi room. The old lady at the front desk refused to give my money back and started to stereo type me. Very unprofessional n very rude. I will never stay at the best Western again. I've been waiting for corporate to call me.
This is an old, dirty motor inn with no elevator. At check in, I noticed unsupervised kids running dangerously around the unsanitary extremely small pool within view of the front desk. Zero employees wore masks in a county (Franklin) at the highest risk level rated by the CDC. The room was old, had no lotion but shampoo and soap with Argan oil. There are no guides in the room for the TV channels or anything else. The TV had a weird box that popped up every 15 seconds so that you couldn't watch it at all. I got very little sleep as there was a tall streetlight shining directly into my window and I was on the phone seeking a safer hotel. Also it's really noisy and the noise came both from down the hall and from above. Between being exposed to the Delta variant of Covid-19 and the other negative experiences I knew I had to get out of this Covid Superspreader Hotspot Hotel. I asked for the manager twice but by morning I decided to walk down to the front desk. At this point the assistant manager Tammy told me that I would not be refunded for the miserable night because she said “You spent the night here, so you're paying” and I stepped away and tripped over a silver/gray bucket left carelessly in the middle of the lobby. When I instinctively kicked it out of the way I was ordered to leave the hotel by Tammy who raised her voice and said “You have to leave the premises immediately!” I left that hotel feeling threatened by the assistant and unsafe in many ways. If you book this hotel, you Will regret it, for one reason or another. My contact with Best Western Corporate leads me to believe that they have NO COVID protocols or follow any CDC or local health guidelines. I am currently isolating at home because this hotel exposed me to the dangerous Delta variant of the Coronavirus.
We stay at this hotel several times a year since our daughter lives close by. We have always had courteous and gracious employees at this hotel. If there was a problem it was taken care of quickly. Will stay again.
an extremely clean motel located amidst any type of retail one could need. The staff is friendly and very efficient. The Desk Lady gave us excellent directions to our destination 15 miles away. many selections for breakfast: Sausage and Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy, Waffles, Bagels, Donuts, Fruit, cereals. Didn't have a chance to use the nice indoor pool, We will be back!
This is the third and final hotel we stayed in while looking for our new home. I must say this was by far the best. The staff is extremely nice, and accommodating. They made sure anything and everything we asked for was taken care of. They cleaned my room every other day per my request, and had no problem doing it. The pool was open and clean. The breakfast was always ready on time, and had a great selection to choose from. Whenever I had a question, or was just walking by they would chat with me, and ask how my search was going. They had great ideas about eating in the area, and gave me some advice on where to look for a new home.
We have 3 expectations when we stay at a hotel, cleanliness, quietness and bed comfort. All 3 were not met. We only reported that the room had cigar paper wraps on the floor with the stuffing of it spread next to the chair. The hostess cleaned it up which was good, but for what we paid for to stay in this jacuzzi room it set an unpleasant tone. We tried this hotel however we will not be back.
Some reviewers had issues, but we did not. Our room was fine. We had a fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. Breakfast included make your own waffles, toast, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. Front desk staff were friendly.
Our room was spacious, quiet and clean... could not block out light shining directly into room..furnishings in good condition...nice towels..small bathroom...mattress pad bunched up under poor fitting inexpensive sheets..pool area clean and well maintained...breakfast options great..thanks for gluten free cereal..fridge quit working in night, so they compensated us for food that we threw away..staff exceedingly courteous and professional..
I didn't like being charged double the rate for my first night as I did the next two nights and my first room had a bit of stale smell to it. I also listened to toilet run for two days before was able to move to new room on my last day. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and linens clean. The breakfast room was clean and there was a little variety considering the COVID protocols I do wish they had had a milk option for people like me that are lactose intolerant so I could've enjoyed a bowl of cereal instead of only waffles and mini muffins. The staff was friendly but none offered me a discount for having to listen to running toilet for two days as they were full, or having to listen to the circus going on in room above my head but at least they tried to get the circus settled. Overall my visit was not bad and I will stay there again in the future
My four night stay was very pleasant. The only surprises encountered were positive ones. Friendly staff, a reasonable breakfast (though necessarily impacted by the pandemic), and fast internet. And the water pressure in the shower was excellent.
If you don't mind an $150 authorization hold on your CC, on top of the room rate, about what you would typically see for a rental car, this is the perfect hotel for you. I told the front desk clerk that sounded suspicious and that was the first hotel ever I ever saw them charge a hidden CC for that much. She told me tough and that was their hotel policy. Also, they don't warn guest with that hotel policy on their website until it is too late when you arrive. The front desk clerk told me there was no other employees or manager on duty at the time to discuss my concern. The hotel front desk staff was very rude and unprofessional. I had to take an important phone call and I guess that front desk clerk did not like customers taking or receiving phone calls in the hotel lobby. Guess what happens next: She starts yelling at me, "Sir, I am going to have to you to leave! You will get a refund, but you will not be staying here tonight." I called Best Western corporate to complain with no luck, their customer service agent to handle customer complaints did not provide any empathy or sympathy. I emailed the hotel manager several times and did not response a response back or no apology when I got home. Nothing. Whatever happened to customer service? Best Western thinks it is okay to treat customers badly and I am not speaking for one location. Had another bad experience at Best Western in Colorado. Never again will be staying at a Best Western ever. You complain and they are like, "Whatever, that is not our problem or your concern."
I stayed at this hotel for four days and during the entire stay the pool was out of service due to pump issues. The night of July 4th the room rate jumped from $105 to $170 despite not even a working pool. In addition the shower water pressure and temperature was hard to keep consistent. I inquired about offering a discount for the pool not working over my entire stay but was told that would not be a reason for a discounted room. Seriously?? When I paid $170 for the night of July 4th and no pool for four days, which is one of the reasons I choose this hotel!
This hotel is nice, clean, and the staff were very friendly (awesome customer service). They were in the process of updating the place, so from what I saw it was very nice. It would be a great place to stay for the weekend. There were two things that I did find that could be an issue. The first was their breakfast - the biscuits were terrible (hard) and when we said something we were told to put them in the microwave to soften them up (that didn't help) and the cereal seemed old. The second item really wasn't an issue for me, but it could be for someone that can't do stairs and that was the hotel has NO ELEVATOR to their second floor. Overall it was a nice, friendly, and relatively cheap (cost) hotel.
Tammy was an exceptionally kind caring front desk agent. We loved talking to her both booking and checking in. She went above board to make sure we had what we needed. Be sure to ask for this wonderful person!
Was visiting my brother in Grant Hospital who was a paitient there I had lots of options where to stay I am glad we went with this one because of location and cost . Not disappointed very clean and the lady at desk was so nice and helpful !! the maid service was very helpful in just giving us clean towels and empty our trash before we would leave for the day and when we returned the bed and room was always cleaned we had one problem with sink not draining so we reported to desk and it was fixed when we returned Very caring and polite staff and quite place to rest for the night and comfortabls bed
First time staying at this hotel, my family and I travel to ohio often we haven't found a hotel we liked yet until we stayed here l. Now this will always be our go to! Our room was clean staff was helpful and friendly! And the location is good lots to do and places to eat nearby!
Manager Tammy and her crew and the Best Western made our stay in Canal Winchester so enjoyable. They were helpful, accommodating and anticipated the needs we may have as a larger group. The location was perfect and the facilities were just what we needed. Even my mother-in-law who has owned and managed restaurants for years commented on the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. We definitely recommend!
Front office staff was welcoming and very helpful. Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was good. I would recommned this hotel for anyone stayng in this area. I don't know what else to say but I have to type 200 characters :)
Having a one night stop over is hardly a good base for a review but having said that, this hotel has to be mentioned for the sheer quality of the sleep. The bed was absolutely amazing, in fact I can easily go as far as to say the most comfortable nights sleep we have ever had. The room was as expected you would find with any chain hotel, clean and well equipped. The staff were really friendly and very helpful and made us out of towners feel very welcome. Quite a few places to eat right on its door step and easily accessible for anyone travelling to or from Columbus airport and set far enough away from the main road that noise was definitely no issue. Breakfast was in a tiny little room with a few tables and chairs so timing was everything, but the food available was plentiful, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, toast and cereals, fruit juices flavoured milks, all was gratefully received and very much enjoyed.
When my husband and I arrived at this hotel, it felt like we were coming home based on the greeting we received. Crystal B was so friendly and helpful. Everyone else was eager to help any way they could. Housekeeping, breakfast, and front desk all did a great job as well.
We stayed for one night while traveling from Virginia to Michigan. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel was within walking distance to some restaurants. The breakfast was typical for similar hotels.
Linens were clean. Room was excellent, and staff were very pleasant. The location was very nice. Stores and restaurants are close to the facility. Close to the major highways, and gas stations. The breakfast bar was very tidy . The food selection was excellent. Although,it would have been nice if they had served hash brown potatoes as well. As this time it was only my husband and myself. We got a room with a jetted tub. As in other locations we have stayed. This hotel had really nice jetted tub rooms. They were very clean and the linen was appropriately placed by the tub with soaps and shampoo in sufficient supply.
tammy and mr patell was always asking if i needed anything if i worked nights for the following day and if i worked days then was alwasy treated with the up most respect most hotels just want your money and dont treat u like the diamond member u are if he other hotels were that customer service friendy like tammy and mr patell then alot more people would be going threw them directly thanx again guys
Check in and out were great, friendly staff, multiple groups of people loitering around entrance doors, very dated decor, kind of expensive for what it was. The pool is small but ok, just not somewhere I was comfortable going outside alone at.
This is a very nice and clean hotel. We have stayed there several times and the staff ifs always very friendly and helpful. I would say it is one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in for quite a while. It is convenient to shopping, grocery stores and restaurants.
Great service; clean rooms and convenient to everything. This hotel is within walking distance to restaruants, shops and parks. It's still the best deal in Canal Winchester. We will always choose Best Western above the others.
The services very good. Very nice rooms, clean and very quiet. Really nice pillows and big thick bath towels. Loved the shampoo and conditioner. Big tv lots of channels and really good Internet. I would stay there again.
Room had an overwhelming smell of stale cigarette smoke. There was NO hot tub...they filled it in. The pool is in need of repairs. We spend $150 for the night....when it was a $60/night hotel at max. We've stayed in Red Roofs that were a better quality. Disappointing for a Best Western.
when we got to the hotel we went straight to our room. Upon arriving we noticed that you could close the bathroom door when you sat on the toliet WEIRD...so we decided to change into our swimsuits and go down to the pool...WHAT A LETDOWN! the scum rings around the pool was disguesting, so I went around and took pictures
Our stay was great. Breakfast was good, bed was comfy and AC in the room was perfect. All of the employees we came in contact with were very friendly. Great location with several food options nearby. Will stay again next time in town.
The room was clean and a nice size. The bed was a bit worn, but okay for one night. The shower floor was slippery and we used a towel so that we would not slip and fall. There were plenty of options for breakfast - cheese omelettes, waffles, sausage patties, cereal, bananas, oatmeal, 3 juice to choose from. There is an indoor pool. It is not large, but enough to cool off on a hot day. There are lots of places to eat near here and there is a Walmart across the street for all those items you forgot.
The hotel was nicely maintained with good curb appeal, well appointed with friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms are comfortable and updated with refrigerators and microwaves. Free parking and internet access is a plus. Nice indoor pool. Great breakfast!
Wanted to go the the BrewDog Brewery and found this place which is very close. Clean room, good carpet, comfortable bed, decent bathroom, at these prices $119 total, can't complain. And the front desk people (Crystal in the evening) were kind, pleasant and fun.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the Best Western hotel in Canal Winchester, Ohio, this week. I stayed two nights for work because it was close, and the price was very reasonable. The hotel is older, but it has been completely redone. My room had fresh paint, new carpet, new linens, new furniture, etc. The bed was comfortable, the room was dark, and the air conditioner worked. The room also had a coffee maker, refrigerator with small freezer, and a microwave, all of which came in handy because I had brought food with me and had leftovers from dinner. the breakfast was pretty normal with a few hot items from the microwave and lots of bread and cereal and cold items, but the biscuits and gravy was good this morning. There are many dinner options within walking distance. Popeye's is next door, BWW, Skyline, and Donato's pizza across the street, Burger King and many, many, more within a block or two. My critiques would be that the provided shampoo is odd and heavily coconut scented, I would bring my own next time, and there was no facial tissue, bath mat, or luggage stand in the room. A few glitches, but overall a good room for a very good price, and close to where I needed to be, and can walk to dinner and back. I'll be back the next time I need a room in south Columbus.
We have stayed at the hotel several times. It is close to my daughter's home. We have always had a great experience at this hotel. I would recommend it if you are traveling in this area. There are plenty of restaurants and stores to shop at.
A little dated but very clean and comfortable. Front desk (Deb) was great and was very helpful. Made check in a breeze. Great people, will stay again when in town. Breakfast had a good variety and was well prepared. Big plus.
We were just wanted to get away from home for a night. We chose this motel because we had an appointment in the area. When we checked in, we were told that the cable was out. We still checked-in hoping that it would not be out long. Got to our room, found out the cable company was Spectrum and decided to leave, Spectrum would have taken forever to get it back on, I know I have it at home. We checked-out and our money was refunded, no hassle or anything..
We were in town for a family memorial service. There were several of us driving over 6 hours for the service. I called in when we were about 2 hours out from arrivial knowing that check-in was not until 3 and we would there around 1-1:30 and the service began at 2. I ask if at least one of the many rooms that we can booked could be ready so that family could use to change after the long drive. She came back on the phone and assured me that not just one but ALL of the rooms would be ready for us. Debbie at the front desk was very accomdating during the reservation period and calling in during a difficult time for the family. THANK you for making a difficult time alot easier for all of us.
Would be a great place if staff could clean each room better. Found hair in tub, light above tub worked poorly, mirrors around tub very dirty, elect fire place Inop and other noisey guest were not asked to tone it down outside or in hallways. Drama kind of noise, don't mind typical hallway or stair noise but the drama noise....
I stayed a total of 3 nights in one week at this hotel. It was very quiet and clean. When I saw that there were a few work trucks parked around back, I started to get a little nervous but it was nothing to worry about. The location just off of 33 is perfect. It is very close to a Walmart and other shopping centers and restaurants. The rooms are nice, clean and comfortable. Above all it was quiet. The breakfast bar was your normal standard but well stocked. I had only one issue on the second night when my room key was not correctly re keyed . I had to walk from the side of the building at night which can make one nervous but it was ok. The clerk realized his mistake, fixed it , walked with me and offered to carry my bags to my room to ensure the room key was working okay this time. He was very kind. It is a terrific value to stay here. 15 mins down Rt 33 and you will pay $60.00 more a night for a hotel. All 3 nights were a nice, quiet and a comfortable stay.
This property is conveniently located near Rt 33, but has none of the traffic noise. The staff is genuinely welcoming and caring, the rooms are clean and quiet and breakfast is varied and plentiful. The only reason I did not rate it as being excellent is that I found the WIFI to be spotty. As a leisure traveler, it was merely annoying, but for a business traveler, it might cause significant difficulties. All in all, I would stay there again.
Rooms were well kept, and in good upkeep. Breakfast was a little shy on Friday, but was very good on Saturday. Free USA today with the room. I will finish this review with this string of B.S. to meet with the demands by Trip Advisor that my review be 200 characters.
We stayed 1 night as we were passing through the area. I had made reservations online beforehand, so check-in was quick. The room was clean & stocked for guests. The only drawback was the noise level from other guests - running up & down the halls on the floor above us. Breakfast was standard fare: hot coffee, cold juice, eggs, sausage, waffles all okay. The eggs would have been better if scrambled; I'm not a fan of the fake cheese in the omelet.
This was like the only place we could get last minute during Labor Day weekend. It was not horrible and it was not great. For the amount of time we spent in the room it was good enough. The room was clean a little outdated. If you have a multi charger unit bring it. Very few outlets. Good part is it is just outside of Columbus! Had that been our trip's focus it would have been perfect. But our focus was on Hocking Hills State Park area. That was about and hour away, but still worth it. We did not use the pool and like most hotels these days the hot tub had been filled in. Breakfast was typical nothing great. Tim Horton's and Starbucks are close by. The staff was nice no complaints there. This is an average place. If you need a nights rest or just a place to sleep at night then it is perfect.
We stayed at the Best Western in Canal Winchester for a family reunion. We checked in late and our service was fine. When we arrived in the room we were overwhelmed by the smell of cigarette smoke. We were also greeted by a "No Smoking" sign. We could not find the TV remote. But we did find it behind the TV the next morning. And we were not given the wifi password at check in. It was late so we did not bring these issues to the attention of the front desk. But it was disappointing. The good... the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was nice.
Arrived at hotel to find my pre-booked stay on Trip Advisor was lost. Peak season, middle of Jazz and Rib festival. I booked king room in advance with whirlpool tub. Ended up single bed, outdated room.
We were visiting a nearby attraction (Brewdog Brewery and Taproom) and needed somewhere nearby to stay. This was in a perfect location, we were able to use loyalty awards that we had accrued. Room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was good, lots of choices. The staff were very good, knowledgeable about the local area. We were able to walk to Buffalo Wild Wings nearby.
I didn't write a review for this wonderful little gem years ago. Was Trip Advisor a thing even? Lol my mom and I stayed. We had a double suite room. The room was spotless and staff was warm, welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. I remember it all so well, because it was my youngest son's graduation. The airport, with car rental aren't far away either; an easy fine. So, don't overspend on hotel fees. Everything you would need are here, at this Best Western including a pool. ENJOY!
The location of this BW is great!! You have Buffalo Wild Wings across the street, Popeyes next door, Skyline Chili, Donatos Pizza, Tim Hortons and Wendy's all within a 3 min walk. We loved the location to BrewDog Brewing, it's literally a 2 min drive. The hotel is fine. It's clean, the staff was friendly and parking is convenient. The stairs to go to the 2nd floor suck, especially if you have a couple pieces of large luggage. The rooms are tight for 4 people but would probably be fine for 1-2. The sink is outside the shower and toilet but is super small. I (personally) also didn't care for their soap, shampoo or conditioner. The smell was a little off putting. But, overall this hotel is fine. The location is really great when you're visiting friends in Pickerington or if you need to go to Columbus.
We stayed at best western because my niece graduated. When we checked in, they had my elderly parents on the second floor, they very easily changed them to the first floor. I would like to see elevators in best westerns because a lot of people can't do stairs. And the employees had to carry laundry baskets up the stairs with linens in them.
We booked this hotel with 3 other families, we were attending the state track meet in Lancaster. It was good location between Columbus and Lancaster (20-25 min from each). Lots do do in area- eats, shops, brewery. Had a great time, nice place
The accommodations are nice, neat, and clean here, but the staff is what makes this an incredible place to stay. We accidentally left behind a jewelry box and they made extraordinary efforts to notify us and keep the item safe until we could send for it. This is a hotel built of honesty and integrity.
if you like beer like me, there is a new brewery and taproom right down the road (BrewDog). The Best Western is ideal spot for traveling beer drinkers. The price is reasonable, the rooms are satisfactory and they have free breakfast! Close enough to Columbus as well. The rooms have been recently remodeled and have what you need.
My family stayed 5 nights during Christmas. The staff were friendly and helpful. They brought us a fridge upon request. The beds need new mattresses with protective covers! My husband and I had a few sores on our arms and legs after our first night. Unsure of what caused them.
I enjoyed the place it was very clean and the front desk receptionist was very pleasant. The Jacuzzi room was awesome as well. The location of the hotel is in an awesome area surrounded by restaurants and major grocery stores within walking distance ;literally less then 2 minutes walking distance.
The good the bad and the ugly. The good This hotel had WONDERFUL staff. So helpful. The staff let us use the breakfast room for a large gathering of people after breakfast and that was SO SO nice! The hotel seemed very clean Its located across from buffalo wild wings which is a bonus in my mind and LOTS of other good eating. The bad Our mini fridge froze all our food, which were vegetables unfortunately. Others fridges reportedly worked fine though. King bed was HIGH We were informed over the phone that there would be rollaway beds for kids, only to find out no such thing existed. Internet wasn't what I would call high speed, but it worked pretty well. NO elevator in the entire building - our 80 year old grandparents were on the top level - Never saw anything on the site indicating no elevator! Hot tub is not working. Ugly Decor is a little loud, I didn't care for the hot dog shaped vinyl bolster pillow. We came in a group block and didn't really get near some of our group, that when I had reserved I had specified we wanted to be next to. Pool is right off check in lobby area. I never really like having everybody who comes in and out of the hotel checking everyone out in the pool.
Needed to travel for work. Hotel's website auto-filled dates for my trip. Called after I realized reservation was past and told nothing they can do. Charged full price to re-book. Left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Staying in the hotel, on not one, but two occasions I heard the manager speaking ill to another employee about someone else who worked there. I believe the manager, and the other woman's names were Tammy and Megan. Very unprofessional, and they constantly were out front smoking instead of in the back. I will never EVER go back so long as they work there, and I'll be making sure no one else does. Those two are rude and VERY unpleasant humans.
We enjoyed our overnight stay. Staff was courteous, friendly, and efficient. The room was well appointed and clean. We had a comfortable stay. Location was easy to find, food and shopping available nearby. Lots of choices for breakfast.
Only needed to stay one night at this hotel. That was enough for me. This was not up to our normal standard of hotels. Clearly this is old and very little updating has been done. We won't be booking this place again.
This hotel is around the corner from BrewDog and in a parking lot with lots of restaurants and stores, great location! The staff were really nice, facility was clean and the room was as described. Cons: The hotel does not have an elevator which is weird and the pool looked less than desirable. Overall, great stay and we would stay again.
The hotel is nice, But the real story here is that we had a reservation at the Hilton Inn near the OSU campus in Columbus. When we arrived we were informed because our credit card had been declined. Even though they made no attempt to contact us to remedy the situation, we were left without a place to stay on a football game weekend. I called Best Western reservations in a panic and they bailed me out. I have been a loyal Best Western Customer for a number of years and find their reservation service to be 100% Reliable. Imagine going to a hotel with a confirmed reservation only to find out that because of the horrible customer service policies in place you have no room to stay in a town that is about to be invaded by 110,000 football fans, But BEST WESTERN pulled a rabbit out of their hat, and my team Oklahoma won the game. Boomer Sooner.
I have to admit to being leery of Best Western based on experience, but was pleasantly surprised. For the price, this place offers great value: clean rooms, fast and free internet, edible breakfast, and super-friendly staff, comfortable bed. All I needed was a place to sleep so didn't need any frills, and this place provided all I wanted.
Stayed at this Best Western while in Ohio for four days. Staff was helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and filling. Tammy the assistant manager went out of her way to help with my boarding passes when I couldn't get them downloaded to my phone.
I was in town to stay for work and grabbed a room here. The staff here at BW was friendly. The room was neat and clean. There is a few places close to grab something to eat and not have to drive. This BW is nothing fancy but I liked it for what I needed it for.
Stayed at this property as it was the closest place to the BrewDog brewery. Best Western never disappoints and this was not different. Clean quiet rooms lots of parking and great price. Will certainly visit again when I am in the area!
My wife and I recently stayed here while visiting the area for a wedding. The hotel is a little pricey, but it was really close to the reception hall. The staff was courteous, check in/out was expedient, and the breakfast was pretty good. I would have liked to see an ice machine on the second floor, and perhaps some "adults only" hours for the pool. We stayed in a suite, so the room was pretty large, a couch would have been nice. I did appreciate the variety of restaurants nearby. The biggest reason for three stars instead of 4 is the "value" factor. I stay in hotels all over the country because of my profession. There are many places in which this dollar amount will get you a much nicer facility or an equal facility costs less. My decision as to whether or not I would stay here again greatly rests on proximity to where I am going. Like the title says, not bad, but not great either.
Clean and comfortable. Had a very courteous staff, upon both check in and check out. They had an awesome pool, clean and warm with towels on site, which was super nice after a long day. The rooms are small, but cozy and quite clean. A good value for the money. Air conditioning was great ! Vending and ice machines readily available. Loved the in room coffee !!
Staff was EXCELLENT-very helpful and went out their way to accommodate us. Wish the rest of the hotel met that standard. Although hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, there was a strong smell of smoke in the room as well as terrible musty AC hanging in the air. Bed was OK but pillows were horrible - had to actually go out and buy a cheap pillow just to sleep the second night we were there. And they tried to duplicate the "duvet between two sheets" cover as seen in other hotels but instead inserted a thin, worn blanket with the edges sticking out. I do NOT want my face on a blanket that is unwashed in between guests. Cheap and unnecessary. And the price of the room was WAY out of line with the quality - far overpriced. Hate to be negative because I really love the people and the location. But the hotel is run down with only Bandaids for problems instead of overhauling and restoring it to original glory. The front desk clerk (manager?) was actually folding guest towels on the counter of the front desk when I checked out. That says to me that they are trying to cut costs on personnel. Got it-you are on a tight budget, but the hotel was sold out the second night (military contract) so you don't have a vacancy problem. Spend some money on the actual hotel and get some more help!
Location is good and breakfast is good, bed was hard. Price seemed high for quality, but it is comparable to other hotels around. Pool temperature was good, but it needed cleaned. The hot tub did not get hot when turned on.
Clean and quiet. Price was very reasonable and close to the hocking hills area. It is also close to local stores and many good restaurants. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. We will choose to stay here again!
The room was small and the bathroom was even smaller. The bed was on the firm side. There was no fitness room and the pool is very small. The spa was not heated. Way overpriced for this out of date hotel.
It has been a long time since I stayed in a hotel since most of my previous travel has been on a cruise ship. Although the décor is dated, this hotel was very clean and suited my purposes. I did not take advantage of the complimentary breakfast.
This hotel is right in the middle of everything. There are stores all around it including Walmart, KFC, Burger King, and much more within walking distance. The hotel staff were great and went out of there way to make you feel welcome and went up and beyond to make your stay comfortable
The stay was great, easy check in and easy check out, breakfast was ok... Overall would stay again. Alot of stuff to do around the hotel. Massey's pizza was right across the street and the pizza was GREAT!
not a thrilled camper with hotels but needed one this last weekend and came across the best western in the same town where a family member was graduating ..and I was quite pleased with the clean rooms .breakfast items as well as the friendly service and help such as when calling front desk for a few extra room supplies.the only issue was the 9pm closing of the indoor pool and the location was excellent as well all in all a great hotel will use if needed again
Stayed here for a family event because it's the only show it town. Excellent service at the front desk. First room had overpowering cigarette smoke stench even tho hotel is supposedly smoke-free. No elevator so you are schlepping your luggage up stairs if your room is not on the first floor. Room cleanliness lacked careful attention to detail. Pool was adequate (and there is a lift to help folks with disabilities enter the pool), but the hot tub was under repair and therefore not usable (and the lift doesn't reach the hot tub). Breakfast had regular and decaf coffee, a good selection of cereals, supermarket breads and treats, make-your-own waffles, buttery-tasting spread, sausage, and watery scrambled eggs. There are several chain restaurants, gas, a grocery store, and a new Scottish microbrewery/pub called the Brew Dog within walking distance. Overall I thought this hotel was overpriced for the experience it offers. I would consider it a good value if it were about 40% less expensive.
Couldn't have asked for friendlier staff. The quality of the hotel was great and very clean. Provided a great nights sleep for my family and a comfortable place to relax. Enjoyed our stay and plan to return if in the area.
This hotel has everything you need for a comfortable few days stay. The cleanliness is excellent, the maid service spot on and the breakfast more than adequate. However - what makes this place in the amazing team that work there and make you feel like you are coming home when you visit. A truly fabulous team - and they make all the difference! Thanks
I have stayed at this property on several occasions visiting my Daughter in college, and Guest Services have always been at or above expectations! They are very helpful with questions, problems, or checking on your needs even before you ask!
Hotel in need of updating furnishings need replacing - desk was ready to fall apart although it did have a new TV and the bed was pretty comfortable. If I am not mistaken this is the only Hotel in Canal Winchester at the present time. The staff where the best part of this hotel they where very welcoming and friendly during out stay. Location is walking distance to Brew Dog although this community does not have a lot of sidewalks.
Stayed here one night with family for a wedding. Impressed with cleanliness and accomodations. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good, basic offerings. Many restaurants located nearby and not far off 270. Noise from people in hallway easy to hear, but not much occurred.
We stayed here one night on a trip to see our daughter. The room was very clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. The check in clerk, Tammy, was super friendly. The breakfast was ok, not the best we have had. The coffee was good.
This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are wonderful, the facilities pleasant, and this Best Western has the most amazing staff. (Say hi to Giana for me). I have stayed here twice now and will stay no where else when I am in Columbus.
My wife booked this room as a getaway for my birthday to enjoy the whirlpool tub. Upon arrival me and my wife noticed several employees smoking in front of the hotel, she was concerned and this to me was not a good look. We almost turned away. When we pulled up no one acknowledged us or asked for ID to check in. An employee was very rude to a child near by that was without there parents entering the pool area. Once in the room we noticed a damp towel hanging. My wife was bit by god knows what and her back is still swollen. There was a disturbance involving the police being called to the hotel and a guest was removed. The back door was not secure. Will not stay again for this price.
Nice rooms and pool, staff friendly and helpful. Close to Canal Winchester and restaurants and shopping area. The staff is very accomidating when asked for assistance and amenities we will back when traveling in the area.
Typical Best Western. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Hotel interior is a bit outdated but you get what you pay for. Lots of food choices nearby. Seemed to be pretty soundproof. Did not hear our neighbors.
We selected this hotel because it was close to the Interstate. Checked in and staff was very kind and concerned. Our room key wouldn't work reliably and he had to come let us in our room. He took the keys, re-keyed them and delivered them back to us. Very kind. Room was adequate. Seemed clean, though the bed spreads were in need of a good washing. Bathtub floor was either stained or needed scrubbed again. Otherwise the room seemed clean and fresh. Beds were comfortable. We didn't venture out much, just there for the nights rest before heading on. Would stay there if we are in the area again.
We only stayed one night, but it was a very good experience. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were a nice nice size with comfy beds. Good breakfast. Definitely glad that we decided to stop here oevernight.
We used this as our preferred hotel for the guests for my son's wedding. The employees, from Asst. Mgr to housekeeping, went above and beyond to make this a memorable experience. The wedding was at 2:30 and they worked extremely hard to get every one checked into their rooms early so they could get to the wedding on time. We previously had an issue with the manager there, but she had been terminated by the time of our stay, which was a good thing. Would definitely stay here again!
We stayed one night Oct 17th...we were going to a widower widow gathering close by. We needed a nice room for one night...we got the NICEST room! We referred another couple who got their own room also! The room was clean full of shampoos razors toothpaste anything we might have forgotten. The lobby was clean welcoming. The front desk people esp the assistant manager whose name I forgot and I am so sorry, they were helpful and great to us. We will definitely stay again!
Staff is super friendly and competent, making sure your stay is a pleasant experience. Convenient location. Rooms were clean and well soundproofed. Check in and out is fast and easy. Loads of restaurants in the area.
This Best Western is a great place to stay, and staff is super. I would sure stay again if in area.Close to Interstate if your traveling close to everything for food and some shopping.Room very clean and bed comfortable.
A very great location with easey access to shopping, resturants, and also Columbus Metro area. Located near a small town community away from major city confusion and conjestion. Has a small town appeal and friendly staff who are professional in their work with attention to detail. A wecoming place to be!
Quiet, good nite sleep, clean comfortable room. Location was excellent with access to Columbus and areas within and surrounding Canal Winchester. Convenient access to nearby restaurants. Breakfast was adequate with a few healthy choices.
Needed a last minute hotel while traveling cross country. This BW was pretty new and clean and quiet enough. Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Was looking forward to the hot tub but it was lukewarm. Bed comfortable and continental breakfast standard.
Very nice accomodations. Clean and friendly staff. Did not have an opportunity to take advantage of the pool due to work schedule, but overall a very nice hotel with exemplary staff. I would definitely book again if I were in the area.
The staff here went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This is an older property, so it needs some renovations, but I've definitely seen way worse. The breakfast was really good, they had cheese omelets the first night we stayed and the were delicious!! Close to interstate, but not noisy. Also has an abundance of food choices and shopping within walking distance. Nice stay! :)
Our family enjoys staying at this hotel when we visit Canal Winchester because they have a friendly staff and it's convenient to where we like to visit. They have a good free breakfast and we love the pool and hot tub. The rooms are nice and clean and the beds were comfortable to sleep in.
Think twice! Front desk Lady was wonderful!!!! Can not say enough good things! The rooms looked nice and new. BUT for a non smoking room it still stunk of old smoke, the refrigerator had to be unplugged because it made an awful ticking sound you could hear over the TV, and the coffee pot did not work in the room for $140.00 was no way worth it.
Travelled from Canada on route to Indiana ; made a stop here and have no complaints , A bit dated but clean , nice pool, well air conditioned , super friendly and helpful staff with a great continental breakfast , We stayed again on the trip back. Lots of restaurant options nearby as well. Reasonably priced and recommended. Also supports CAA memberships We will be back if we go that route again
This is the third year staying at this hotel. I have no complaints about the staff or the hotel. Great location and accommodating staff. I will most likely be here again next year for our annual event.
over priced Charge 130 for a small room other Best Western we know people where charge 80 a night and room had king size bed and couch with kitchen area. fridge wasn't cold and came into room when do not disturb sign was on door.
This Hotel is truly responsive to the needs and desires of its guests. The accommodations and location were exactly what I needed. The staff could not have been more pleasant, professional and helpful. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast was well presented and delicious. This is an excellent value for your money.
It is a nice and clean hotel. We got to the room which was nice inside. We even got a nice bathroom. But the odor inside was horrible. No complaints on the bed. That night I was unable to sleep. There was loud yelling in the hall and a man and woman were fighting, cursing and throwing things and a loud music. After 10 minutes they stopped and even though things quieted down, I was not able to sleep comfortably, as I was worried about the whole giving a key to a random person and to top it off the fighting going on in the hall which did not help.
We enjoyed our stay. The room and hotel were very good. However we had a problem with the pool area. There were about 25 teen boys in the pool and others around the hot tub. They were throwing a hard ball around and it hit the window many times. No one at the desk said anything and they sure could see everything. Two little girls were huddling in the corner afraid to move. No adult supervision. Hot tub not warm.
We went with a group to tour Valor Christian College at World Harvest Church and this hotel was recommended by church staff. It was a 4 minute drive from the church so location was excellent. They also had a surprisingly ample breakfast, with a waffle maker, cereals, fruits, juices, bagels, english muffins, eggs, sausage, yogurt, milk, coffee. I think there was a pool but we didn't use it. Sadly, there didn't seem to be a gym. But I would recommend it if you are visiting Valor.
Visited this town to attend my niece's high school graduation and it was a great pick. The hotel staff were friendly and met all of our needs (we were traveling with 3 children). Not only was the hotel's appearance nice on the outside, but the inside was spectacular. I travel a lot for business and pleasure and this was one of my first times staying at a hotel that smelled WONDERFUL/CLEAN! Even my 8 year old said "mom it smells good in here"! There were plenty of shops and restaurants nearby in walking distance.
Great location near Columbus with easy access and close to restaurants. This is the only hotel in this town. I booked online last minute (less expensive) and upon my arrival, the check-in was easy. The room was clean and quiet and the breakfast was fine. Overall, great value!
It's been awhile since I have stayed in a Best Western Inn. Reception was very nice and friendly. We were give an 2nd story room, no elevator. The room was good size. The two double beds, with lots of pillows, were very comfortable. The shower was very nice. We had complementary coffee maker and microwave oven in our room. The TV was flat screen had many channels and Free HBO but the reception was not HD. The free wi-fi worked OK. There was no ice maker on our floor. We had to go downstairs and then back up for ice. There was a nice looking indoor pool that we didn't use. The complementary breakfast was better than expected. There was 2 types of hot waffles and hot scrambled eggs that didn't have much flavor . The had hot sausage biscuits were just OK. The Best Western Canal Winchester is an OK Inn. We had a pleasant stay.
Very comfortable hotel with a friendly, knowledgeable staff who are willing to go out of their way for you. The hotel is located in a safe area with many restaurants, stores, banks and shopping available within minutes.
Hotel was easy to find and it was easy to get on and off of interstate. Also had some drive thru fast food restaurants to eat at that were open late....such as Taco Bell, KFC, etc. We picked this area in Canal Winchester so that we would not be fighting the crowd trying to get to the arena early and then leaving in the morning you could miss the morning traffic trying to get to work as we were heading back to Belpre, Ohio. I was very happy with this area and felt very safe. Did I say we were there to see Garth Brooks!!! Yes! Awesome concert! Also, hotel recommended eating lunch at "Shades" a local place in Canal Winchester..it was great!
My Mom and I stayed here while attending a concert at the Scott when everything downtown was booked. Nice quiet hotel out of the way from the busy downtown Columbus. Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice for a best western. Hotel was quiet all night. Wifi was better then I've seen at high dollar hotels. Nice to have a fridge and microwave in our room! Breakfast was nice and the host was very kind and made us feel welcomed! Really appreciated her hospitality! We checked out the pool and hot tub in the morning. Very nicely kept although the hot tub wasn't very warm. We'd stay again! The only problem was encountered was that the hotel did not have an elevator. Kind of an inconvenience if you have a lot of luggage to carry but not a deal breaker by any means. We will return!
Highly recommend the Best Western Canal Winchester! Clean, friendly, great location! From the front desk to the breakfast attendant to the housekeeping staff--they were all more than willing to make our stay the best! Excellent in every way!
My could barely sleep due to the number of trains going past the hotel during the night. On top of that, I booked and paid for my room online. They charged me a $100 deposit that I was told would be credited back to me the next morning upon checkout. Well, as I checked my bank account several hours after I checked out and the money was still not back in my account. I called the hotel and I was told it takes a minimum of 24 hours for the funds to be back in my account. I called and spoke to someone who said I was told incorrectly upon check-in about the refund of my deposit. Also, when I asked to speak to a manager I was told the manager was not in that day. Then I asked to speak to the district manager and I was told that it was a privately owned hotel and no one could help me until tomorrow. Ridiculous and unprofessional. I will never stay here again.
I have stayed at this hotel 3 times now while driving from Northern Ontario to South Carolina. I love the hotel, it is always clean and inviting as well as serving a great breakfast in the morning. The rooms are always clean, the sheets are fresh and the beds are very comfortable. I highly suggest choosing this hotel for a 1 night stop over or a longer visit to the Columbus Area.
I spent 3 restful nights here. The staff is awesome. Some of the most helpful I have found. I travel a great deal and stay almost exclusively at Best Western. Folks like these are why. It seems I never have enough time to take full advantage of all they offer.
I had the pleasure of staying here for about 3 days. The hotel was everything I needed but the reason I chose this hotel over others in the area was because of the ever friendly front desk lady named Tammy and an African American lady (who's name do not recall). they both did a great job.
I'm the first to admit, I'm very picky about where to stay & how much I'll spend. Our bowling teams were traveling to Columbus for State competition and needed several rooms. After spending many hours researching online and calling many hotels in the area, I came across the Best Western. The call was handled by Tammy, she immediately made me feel comfortable booking 11 rooms for our stay. Upon check in-Tammy had prepared the staff for our arrival & it was handled smoothly. The pricing was affordable, the location very safe with many restaurants in the area, quick access to the highway, beautiful indoor pool & hot tub. The rooms were clean, and offered all necessities. The breakfast was well displayed & had quite a variety to choose from. I'm very happy to say, I was very pleased with our accommodations & would stay again in the future!
Kudos to the staff, who are always easy to work with and very accommodating! Our only problem with this property is that the hot tub is never hot enough to attend to sore muscles! But we always stay here when visiting Columbus!
2-3 times a year we travel 15 minutes to here to enjoy a jacuzzi room for an evening. We cannot speak for the pool part of the hotel, but the staff is always friendly at check in and check out, the room is clean, the tub works well. Not much more to say really, but we are always happy with our stay!
All aspects of stay were very positive. I would definitely stay there again. Staff was very pleasant and room was very clean. Breakfast was very good and staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel had easy access to interstate and a nice selection of dining options.
Had a lovely stay at this quiet hotel. It is conveniently located around several stores and restaurants. The room was on the smaller side size-wise... but that might have been because of the large bed. We ended up on the first floor, but as others have stated this is a two floor hotel with no elevator. Something consider when booking. The pool area was very nice and well kept. There are two suites that have patios/sliding doors that overlook the pool area. I mention this because it seemed like the guests using the pool were bothering the people in the suite. No one was being overly loud and it was late afternoon. Maybe you catch a lot of noise from that room? No idea. If I remember correctly the pool was open from 8 am to 10 pm... Just another thing to think about when booking one of those rooms. I imagine that could get pretty annoying if the pool were super busy. Would definitely stay again!
Nice, clean, affordable yet close to anything you need on a spur of the moment get away such as dinning wal-mart, kroger and such. only 10 min. from down town Columbus, Oh. Just out of reach of the hussel and bussel for downtown.
This is the Best Customer Service I have ever experienced , 5 star... loved the pool, the cleaning Staff was wonderful, very convienent to Restaurants, and for shopping . If you needed directions the Staff would find them . They were helpful when we needed instruction on the Hotel Internet
This hotel is one of my favorites! I have stayed at Red Roof Inns, Microtels, Holiday Inn, Value Place, Comfort Inn, etc and this is by far my favorite. The location (Canal Winchester) is perfect, the pricing is really nice, especially if you sign up for their point program, the rooms are always clean, the staff is super nice, and we have never had a problem. My boyfriend and I have stayed here about 7 times in the past few weeks and we will keep coming back!
The family stayed here while visiting grandma for thanksgiving weekend. We stayed 4 nights, the room was slightly small but was well kept. The staff here were very courteous, polite and attentive. The free breakfast was above average in my opinion, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, do-it-yourself waffle stations, bread, bagels, donuts, cereal, fruit and of course coffee, milk and juices! The woman staffing the breakfast room was a real delight, very nice indeed! We had gone swimming one morning and there were not enough towels for the 4 of us, the woman at the front desk noticed and promptly brought additional towels without us having to ask. That is what is missing in most hotels, attentive staff that ANTICIPATES what guests need. Thank you so much for a great stress free stay on our family trip! When in town we will stay again.
We were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and newness of the nonsmoking king room given the affordable price. The bed was extremely comfortable. Staff at the front desk and breakfast bar was friendly and helpful. The indoor pool was comfortably warm. Breakfast was the standard fare, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereals.
We very much appreciated the quality of service we received from the staff. Everyone was very polite and helpful with our needs. The only downside was that the room was quite small, especially having children along. We stayed on the first floor, and on our first night, there were guests in the room above us. They were not being noisy or rude, but simply walking around their room, but the creaking from the walking was quite loud and disrupted our sleep. The staff made sure there was no one assigned a room above us a second night, which we appreciated. The breakfast has some good options, but a little limited if one cannot have gluten. I had the eggs, but they did not taste very good. The coffee, however, was excellent.
We stopped in this hotel after another hotel changed our trips plans. We have stayed here twice before and were pleased. This trip they didn't disappoint us. The girl at check in was very helpful and friendly, as was everyone else we crossed paths with, the few days we stayed here. Clean rooms, the only draw back is there is no elevator. We had a WONDERFUL stay and stay here again.
We needed a quick get away close to home. The room was much nicer than expected. Many extra complimentary items were in the room. More than other similarly priced rooms we ve stayed in on previous occasions.
Never had a bad experience with this hotel. The staff is not only professional, but fun to interact with. Hot tub was very enjoyable, as was the pool. A good variety of restaurants are available in the area. A great place to use as a stopover for further travel going South.
We felt like we were royalty. The room was clean and luxurious. They even accommodated us checking in early which was so wonderful as I was was in town to attend my Fathers funeral. I really appreciated them going the extra mile for us.
The rooms were clean, servers and front desk very courteous. A little expensive at $105++ a night but not bad. Rooms were older - carpets worn. Breakfast decent but not all that good. I would certainly come back (and recommend) as it had comfy beds, working AC and very nice staff.
My room was big and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast was simple but fresh and the staff was attentive. The coffee was tasty. Parking was ample and there were restaurants nearby if you wanted to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again as it was pleasant and economical.
This is a good hotel to stay in CW. Easy to reach from highways, quiet surroundings with some OK restaurants in walking distance, nice personnel and pool, decent breakfast. Quick access to Columbus if needed and excellent restaurants in 'downtown' CW.
I had not been able to visit this location for a while. They had a special pricing at the time and I was able to plan a mini vacation. I use the heated pool for aquatic therapy as I have disabilities. This hotel does NOT have an elevator and when I went to check in they made sure to put me in a ground floor room. For the area being so busy it was nice and quiet for my daughter and I. I will keep my eyes open for specials so I can visit again!
We stayed in this hotel for one night. We are traveling west, and after a very long drive it was wonderful to have such a comfortable, clean, spacious room to relax and rest. I would recommend it to anyone. The people there were very friendly, and polite. They had time to talk, and were so pleasant. It made for a very relaxing evening.
The comforter on our king-sized bed was torn in multiple places. The TV remotes only changed channels in one direction. The box springs need replacing as they made a metallic clanging noise. There was difficulty getting the AC on and a comfortable temperature set; it would have been helpful if directions had been posted and the thermostat on the wall labelled as not to be used.
