« beautiful landscaping and helpful staff »

Great staff, lovely room. The owner goes an extra mile to make the Inn good looking. The effort in landscaping shows the place off beautifully. Breakfast was OK...normal waffles, etc. Our overall experience was excellent.

« Half way stop to home »

BW Windsor was a great stop! The staff - all the staff - was cordial. There is a great brewery only 5 minutes away by foot. There is also a Mexican restaurant within walking distance which we didn't try. The pool was clean and refreshing. The hot tub jets were weak but that wasn't important to us.

    5
    « Terrific »

Easy on and off to the freeway, terrific breakfast, friendly staff, recommended a good restaurant within walking distance for dinner, great return for your money, plenty of surfaces to put luggage so did not have to use the floor.

« The way it's supposed to be »

The warmth and hospitality toward guests, from check in through check-out provides a baseline of comfort that makes the whole stay relaxing and enjoyable. This also includes the staff in the breakfast room who are very friendly and engaging as well as those you just walk by. The landscaping is inviting and beautifully maintained, beyond what you often see in similar level hotels.

« Lovely hotel, Great value, great staff »

This is a beautiful, well-appointed and well maintained best western hotel in Ashland, less than 10 minutes from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival grounds. Our room was spacious, nicely furnished, with great beds. Larger dressing area with separate bathroom. Plenty of closet space. Nice pool, hot tub and very nice gym. easy walking to a couple restaurants. More important, I can't say enough about the staff, especially Ryan at the front desk. We came to him with two problems that were entirely of our own creation and he solved them cheerfully and competently. Many hotels don't realize the importance of friendly, welcoming, helpful front desk staff and clearly, this one does. It is on the street, so there is some very slight street noise. I didn't hear any noise from adjacent rooms. I don't travel anywhere without silicon earplugs but I didn't need them here. It was fine, I slept great. I only mention it if you're an ultra light sleeper you may to a request room towards the back of the hotel. If you're coming to southern Oregon and especially if you're coming for the Shakespeare Festival you would do well to stay here, and it's very well-priced for the area.

    « Pleasant Ashland experience. »

Nice hotel...easy access off the freeway...close to downtown Ashland. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and the internet worked great. Breakfast was standard fair but very fresh and staff kept everything week supplied. Overall a good experience and would stay here again.

    « Spring in Ashland »

We spent 3 nights in beautiful Ashland, Oregon. The location of our Best Western was perfect for our needs. They have a very nice breakfast to start your day. The bed was very comfortable. It was a great stay for us.

    « Great value »

Large room with both a desk and a small table and chairs, big enough for four people to hang out. Good shower and bath, comfortable bed, everything works, reading light both sides of the bed, front desk helpful and friendly. Wider variety at breakfast, both scrambled and boiled eggs, both pancakes and oatmeal, bacon and home fries. Reasonable price in late April, short drive to the Shakespeare Theaters.

    5
    « Pleasant Stay. »

The room was extra large with a very comfortable bed, sink separate from the toilet and shower/bath. The room was very quiet, clean, and comfortable. The breakfast was extra good with great yogurt, fresh breads, and good oatmeal. While it is an older motel, it is well kept up, and I was not aware of an elevator to the second floor rooms. We enjoyed our stay.

« Excellent place to stay in Ashland »

The price paid for this hotel was very reasonable. We enjoyed 3 nights there and attended two plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. We were also close to several wineries in the valley, We'll be back!

    « Excellent BW »

Good service and a pleasant stay. In Ashland for my wife, who needed eye surgery. Quiet hotel with good restaurants near by. I am prejudiced, but the Caldera Brewery has great beer and food and qujte a collection of beer bottles.

    « G AND B »

Quiet, well maintained property, with comfortable furniture and superior decor.. Breakfast room is more spacious than mnost - My only complaint would be with the plastic utensils, they were flimsy so not easy to dine with, hoever, this is a lovely motel and we would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it..

    « Best Best Western »

We felt like valued guests at every point in our stay. Cordial, exceptionally well trained staff and well kept grounds make this our favorite Best Western. Even staff casually crossing the parking lot will great a guest pleasantly.

    « Great value... »

Beds were clean, comfy, rooms were updated, and breakfast was good. Great value and would definitely stay again. Easy on and off access to freeway. Has all your basic necessities like coffee (kurig), wifi, big TV, and clean comfortable beds. Customer service in the office and breakfast area was great!

« Super Thin Walls, Housekeeping Poor »

If you like hearing everything the people are doing in the next room (and them hearing you), this is your place. It's even better when you need to get to sleep at a normal hour and your neighbors are talking loudly, laughing and yelling into the late night. Also, the housekeeping staff did a poor job making up the room; they missed so much, I wonder how they also had time to chill and talk in the parking lot during the afternoon when I arrived. Definitely not worth the inflated price. There are much better options.

« Gem of an Inn »

Excellent stay at this charming inn. Staff delightful, room immaculate with thoughtful amenities, ideal location (5 minute drive to downtown) and a complete breakfast buffet. BW Windsor Inn our new go to place in Ashland. Thank you Daisy and Miguel for your kind hospitality.

    « Excellent Service/Excellent Staff »

We had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western Windsor Inn for two weeks March 5-18, 2018. Our trip was because of unfortunate circumstances, however we were treated with respect and courtesy throughout our stay. Chloe, the manager was very helpful in adjusting last minute changes. Wendy, at the front desk was an absolute 10. She bent over backwards to make our stay the very best it could possibly be. Daisy, also at the front desk, acknowledged our needs and assisted wherever she could. To Jon Warren, the owner, please recognize how valued your employees were to our whole team They are the best. « Good Quality Hotel »

We have been staying in this hotel for many years, often with friends in groups of 4 to 24! We have always had excellent service, any problems (which are few) are quickly attended to by staff. Breakfast has a wide variety of offerings and large tables where we can all sit together when we have a large group. It is not close in to town and theatres but with more reasonable rates, room for accommodating large groups both in the hotel and breakfast area, excellent service, it more than makes up for not being as close. Last fall when we had a group of 24. one of the rooms is much larger with a kitchenette, which was one of our room choices and it allows us to get together, order pizza and visit as a group. Hotel staff are always helpful giving us extra chairs and trash cans and last time we even met the hotel owner, who was delightful and joined us briefly. We are very happy with this hotel!

    « Comfy Accommodations »

This was a great place to stay. The room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. There was also a nice breakfast with many choices. When we looked out in the morning, there was snow in the hills. So pretty! I would stay here again.

    « Lovely Inn/Great Service »

Researched for lodging in the area and so glad I choose this inn. Check in process was effortless and rooms were ready early. Our rooms were back near the pool. Rooms were very large and beds were SO comfortable!!! Room was super clean and fresh! Breakfast was included.. and also a bus shuttle to town to see The Shakespeare Theater (something NOT to miss) Casual restaurant in front of inn/ coffee truck nearby

« Adequate dog friendly hotel »

Difficult to write about this place. While the room was typical for BW the staff were rude and not helpful. Asked about rules for dogs at the lakes and there was no interest in helping me. Asked about the area restaurants and got nothing, as well. The older lady was extremely rude when she realized we were from California. She asked what we were doing there and I said were looking to relocate. She said well we have to many people here, where are you looking. I said on the coast somewhere, then she was a little nicer. Could have stayed there again last night but will avoid this town in the future.

    5
« On the road again »

Perfect in every way, located right off the freeway, next to a good restaurant, 3 gas stations, pool, and excellent customer service. Breakfast is included and very good. Plan your next trip to stay here.

« Super Breakfast and Awesome Hotel »

We stayed at the BW Windsor Inn on the way home. Very clean rooms, alpine type decor. Breakfast though...Wow. probably the best breakfast layout, quality and friendly staff we have experienced at a Best Western.

    4
    « Nice stay »

Staff was professional and helpful. Thank you for a pleasant stay. Hotel was convenient to freeway access, far enough away to minimize traffic noise, making this hotel easy to get to and leave from during our trip.

    5
    « Always a great experience »

Great quality and service. I try to always stay at this Hotel because I know exactly what I am getting. Service and satisfaction is their main concern and it shows in attitude of their employees. I am always empresses with this location.

    5
    « Wonderful stay! »

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have had in a while! Many thanks to Joe the night attendant for his welcoming manner and help during our stay! Breakfast was mostly above average, eggs could be a bit better.

    « Great hotel. »

Great hotel with friendly staff at an affordable price. The rooms were clean and nice looking. The breakfast was good and better than most continental breakfast at most hotels. Overall I highly recommend this nice hotel if you're in the area.

    5
    « Great Motel »

Everything about this motel was excellent. The staff was engaging and helpful, from front desk staff to attendants at the breakfast room. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was very comfy. All contributed to a very pleasant stay.

    4
    « Classic motel »

The BW Windsor Inn is a good place to stay. Not fancy, but updated and very clean. One of the best old-style motels I've stayed in within the BW network. Will plan to stop there again on road trips from Washington through Oregon.

« Good hotel for travelers -- challenging for play attendees »

The Best Western Windsor is about a block east of I-5 in Ashland. I stayed here because of plans to travel on to Seattle the next day. The pluses are closeness to the freeway, nice clean and quiet rooms, a very nice staff, and a reasonable breakfast that is included and very affordable rates in the winter. I know this sounds trivial or very "First Worldy", but my only complaint with the hotel is their coffee at breakfast. Boy it is a throwback to the 70s. In todays world of excellent coffee it is always jolting to run into bad coffee anywhere. It just does not have to be that way. My only concern for theater goers is that you would have to drive to everything to enjoy Ashland. So if you are a fellow traveller on I-5 stay here, and if you are a theater goer think twice. But in either case I hope they improve their breakfast coffee.

« BW Remains Best Ever »

No matter where we go, we always find Best Western the best place to stay. From city to city and state to state, the rooms have been comfortable, the grounds clean, and the staff members are so polite, professional, and down to earth. Ashland BW was is different. THANK YOU!!

« On the road home. »

Nicely appointed well landscaped hotel in Ashland. We were given a free upgrade on arrival. Room was spacious and easily accessible. Breakfast experience was varied and excellent. When we departed, my wife left her Kindle reader behind. Hotel staff contacted us by phone and arranged to heave the device mailed home to us. Great service!

    « Nice Hotel »

Great Hotel. Heater in room was very noisy which made it hard to sleep. Not sure if this particular heater needed repairs or if that is just how loud it is. Other than that great experience. The Hotel is absolutely beautiful.

    « A less than satisfying visit »

I don't have high expectations for most "inexpensive" hotels, and since this reservation came out to about $85, I would have been happy with a nice bed, hot shower and little else. Check in was easy and we received a second room room with a king bed. There isn't an elevator but the room was right near the stairs. The room was nice and the bed felt comfortable. It had a flat screen TV with plenty of channels, and the bathroom was fine with a shower/bath. Everything was going smoothly until bed time around 10:30, when my wife cuddled up with the blanket to go to sleep and she recoiled in disgust. "Smell this," she said, and I did (unfortunately). The blanket reeked of B.O., pungent and strong. I walked down to the front desk and asked for a new blanket and sheet. The first question was how many people did I have in my room. What? I said just my wife, and that our blanket stunk of B.O. and we needed replacements. He apologized and said there should be an extra blanket in the room in one of the drawers. I said I'd check it out. Back in the room I found the blanket and it was fine but fuzzy, so my wife (who is seven-months pregnant) wanted a sheet between her and the blanket. Since she also pulls it around her, I would still need a sheet. So I called the front desk and explained the blanket was there but I still needed just a sheet. The man from the front desk thought about it (saying he didn't know where they kept the sheets) and said it would be a while, maybe 15 minutes. I waited. And waited. About 25 minutes later I called (11:10 or so) and he apologized and said it would be up shortly. It wasn't. At 5 'till midnight my wife called down (I was beyond irritated at this point) and we were given a final assurance it was coming (the guy was really busy, she was told). About 5 minutes later the sheet finally arrived. We slept well, and went to breakfast the next morning. I expected a bit more having read about the "full" breakfast but it was just an average breakfast buffer though it did have self service pancakes and waffles. There wasn't an omelette station, so that was a little less than you might find at similar free breakfasts. So overall I think this is an average hotel and without the service issues I may have done 3 or 4 stars, but I really was underwhelmed about the overall experience.

    5
    « A motel that's like a 3 star hotel »

I was amazed at the price for this motel and even more amazed once I entered my room. This motel is like a three star hotel. Very clean and modern topped off with a very friendly staff. Our night also included a free breakfast that included waffles AND pancakes. I highly recommend you stay if choosing from other selections in the area. We will be staying there again on our way back home.

« Clean rooms, helpful staff, fantastic breakfast, beautiful grounds »

We love to stay at this hotel. It is clean, the breakfast is great, the property is well kept and is complete with rose garden . The rooms also seemed more updated and modern with new decor. We will stay again.

« Great place to stay!! »

The Ashland Best Western is probably our favorite. You have to plan ahead during the Shakespeare Festival. The staff is the best!! Whoever hires all the staff at this location is excellent. Please enjoy when you visit. Breakfast is FANTASTIC!!!

« Trip from WA to Carson City NV »

I reviewed this Best Western in Ashland OR on line before booking. I was very pleased with everything when we checked in. The room was very clean, the heater was NOT noisy which is the case in some places we've stayed. We will stay there again.

« Nice place - comfy bed but room was absolutely frigid ! »

Stopped here while driving to Portland . Good location and price was good . Room was a good size - no elevator to 2nd floor which was annoying with our bags but our main problem was the temperature . We checked in late at night and just wanted to get into bed - however the room was literally 32 degrees . My kids went to bed in their coats . They had an in room heater but it had to heat up which the front desk told me takes hours. Good idea would have been for them to turn it on before guests come but hey what do I know . They already had the crib in the room for us so I feel like it's a no brainer to put on the heat . Whatever - because of the heat issue I have to say it was poor otherwise it would have been average. No one wants to pay to stay in a room with kids that's 32 degrees . It's just absurd . Breakfast was ok but they didn't refill we went around 9;10 and they said they won't fill it any more so we just grabbed what we could . If the room was warm I think the experience would have been totally different . Even the toilet seat was like sitting on ice . Lol not at all acceptable . Sorry!!

I was very impressed with the service and the clean room. I had two dogs and they were comfortable. The room service was fantastic and staff showed courteous attitude and concern to make sure my stay was excellent.

Arriving late at night, welcomed at the Windsor by Joe at the front desk. He was warm and welcoming. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend and will stay here again.

    « Very Impressive Stay »

From the helpful and friendly staff, to the very comfortable bed and pillows, to the soap and shampoo that smelled heavenly and actually worked well, we were quite impressed with our stay here. We would definitely stay here again!!

« Noisy Air Conditioning Unit - Poor Customer Service »

Our family stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn in the heat of July for one night as a stay over during our drive down to California. The air conditioning unit in our room was awful - it sounded like we were swimming in an aquarium. It needed maintenance for sure. I had complained upon checking out and then followed up with several phone calls to the manager Thomas. I had opened a claim through Air Miles Collector Relations and Thomas only replied to my messages after my claim was settled. Customer service is not what I received from this property.

    5
« Good place to stay »

On a road trip South, it was a restful place to relax and be ready for the drive the next day. The room we requested on the ground floor due to a handicapped limitation I have was perfect. Being close to the handicapped parking spaces was wonderful!

« Excellent hotel in Ashland »

My husband and I stayed at this Best Western Hotel twice over Thanksgiving vacation and I highly recommend it. We stayed in Room 106 which had a very comfortable king-size bed, a refrigerator, 2 sinks for washing up, a nice shower, coffee maker and hair dryer, and a very good breakfast... not gourmet but there were many selections. There is a pool and hot tub but both are outside. I would stay here again, and if it's in the summer, I'll use the pool :-) The office staff was very friendly, we could park just outside our room and the price was reasonable.

    5
« Excellent motel, upgrades and breakfast »

Stayed twice in the past few weeks at Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland. Price is quite reasonable, had a king bed room, very clean. They provide double sinks, nice shampoo/conditioner, refrigerator, everything works well including the air conditioning. Breakfast is quite extensive, includes cooked eggs, waffles, pancakes, cereal, lots more plus juices, yoghurt, coffee. The staff in the breakfast room is unusually friendly and helpful, just nice people. This motel is quite near the Caldera brewpub, maybe 3 minutes walking. Prices may change when the Shakespearean festival is presenting plays, but it's a good bargain now.

    4
« Great value, clean and spacious rooms »

The staff are consistently friendly and helpful. The guest rooms are large and clean. The complimentary breakfast has a good selection and is well maintained. This is a very good facility that we will stay at again.

    5
    « Great service »

I was very pleased with the sevice and stay. Thank you. I would definitely recommend Best Western to all that I come in contact with. This is a place that I will stay when I'm in Ashland and I spend a lot of time in Ashland. I will not stay any were else. Thank you.

    « Amazing Staff »

We always feel welcome at "The Windsor". The staff are incredibly hospitable and go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The breakfast is amazing, with great options from eggs and bacon to oatmeal with all the fixings!

« Best Western Windsor Hotel - Ashland, OR »

My favorite hotel as I travel north-south between WA and CA. It's always perfect in all regards. I have a large dog and the hotel is pet-friendly, a requirement for my travels. I always call the hotel directly for reservations and they're always accurate and very professionally done. Rooms are clean and the Internet service is fast and reliable. Their breakfast service is one of the best I've seen - they have a full range of hot foods, fruits and bread products. And they have a pancake making machine, never seen that at any other hotel I've stayed at. One of my most favorite hotels. And the Oak Tree Northwest restaurant next door has great food. I always stop there for dinner before checking in.

    4
    « Nice and clean »

The staff was very friendly whenever we encountered anyone at the facility. It was a very comfortable stay. No excessive noise and it was easy to get a good nights sleep. We would recommend this place to anyone traveling up and down I-5 freeway.

    5
    « Gem of a hotel on I-5 »

In room Keuring Coffee maker, fabulous fitness center, great breakfast and beutiful hotel decor make this a must stop and see for any traveler. Sound system powered by sirius radio in Fitness Center was unbelievable. In room coffee was better quality then going to a coffee house. Breakfast was hot, fresh and satisfying. Ski chalet decor gives you a first and last impression of first class quality.

    5
    « Wonderful safe place! »

Best Western Windsor Inn was a cozy older looking chalet style place that was a clean safe environment with nice furnishings. The front desk staff was outstanding, friendly and very helpful. Down the street behind the Inn, about 1-2 short blocks on a dead end street, there was a really fun craft beer brewery that had good food and drink. I felt very safe and comfortable as I walked there by myself. The next morning, there was a good breakfast served at the Inn. An excellent establishment with easy access off the freeway. Caution, do not speed when you get on the long stretch of the 5 as there are many on-ramp officers waiting to ticket you as you cruise on up to Portland!

    5
    « A good option in Ashland »

Very convenient location for a stop on I 5 and visiting in Ashland (good theater and restaurants!) Not the closest hotel to theaters but excellent parking and a very pleasant facility, well-located for all activities - by car!

    5
« Great feel and beautiful look »

This motel has a great design, in line with the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. The rooms and overall facility is modern, but with a classic old world look and feel. Great full hot breakfast. Close to I5 and easy access. Approximately 2 miles from downtown and lithia park.

    4
    « Clean, Comfortable & Friendly »

The hotel looked outdated, but once I got inside, it added to the charm of the hotel as well as the town. The staff was so incredibly kind and friendly. We brought our dog, which limits our hotels and often leads to a bit dirtier room, that was not the case here. The room was immaculate!! We have a family of 4, so I always look for a hotel with a breakfast and this was the best one yet. The only complaint was there was no indoor pool for the kids.

    5
« Nestled in the Valley »

Ashland is a beautiful town and the views from the Hotel are great. A really nice peaceful stop while traveling. They serve a complimentary hot breakfast to help you get going in the morning. Kitchen and jacuzzi suites are available. Rooms upstairs have high vaulted ceilings.

    4
    « very nice motel »

Good value in a convenient and well-maintained motel. Less expensive than downtown Ashland lodging, while comparable in comfort and amenities. Somewhat less convenient to festival and shopping, but worth it on balance.

  • 5
    « Special property »

This is the nicest BW I have visited. Top end in every way, and really nice staff. I look forward to staying here again. There's also a great brewpub just down the street! The location is convenient (next to I-5).

    « Hidden suite found »

We brought our Granddaughter to her home in Ashland and brought a friend along. Two rooms were reserved, one with a King bed and the second with 2 Queens. We were warmly welcomed by Joe who kindly remembered my name from previous visits. It was a great gesture and Joe is delightfully engaging. We gave our friend the King bedroom. She was so surprised and delighted by the huge room with a separate seating area, as well as a huge side bar/counter including refrigerator and a microwave. Studying the layout, there seem to be two of these gems at each end of the building. Our rooms was perfect for our needs, as always, with great beds and quiet surroundings. But, we will ask for one of the end rooms should we plan to stay for a longer time.

« Just what we were looking for »

Needed a place to stay on a road trip. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay, although eggs were possibly faux. Nearby Caldera's restaurant serves a great dinner.

    5
« Comfortable room at a great value »

We have stayed at this Best Western a couple of times while visiting Ashland. They have a shuttle that takes you to and from the Shakespeare Festival so you don't have to worry about parking. If you decide to drive it is a short trip to downtown Ashland. Rooms are clean and spacious and the beds are comfy all at a really good value. We will defiantly stay here again.

    5
« Great hotel. Great staff. »

The two front desk clerks we encountered were the friendliest I've ever met. No complaints at all. We've stayed in four different hotels in Ashland, and we will be staying at the Best Western Windsor from now on.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the facility and staff. KELLY was the highlight of the breakfast accommodations. She puts the Best in Best Westerns. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.

the Windsor is very inviting and easy access from I6. We will be back .due to cold weather we did not access the pool. Breakfast is the best we have experienced at any Best Wester. so far, Take time to register with Best Western Rewards to take advantage of all the discounts and rewards.

We had great service and comfy room. We were driving all day and just passing thru and very pleased. Beds were comfy, super room/suite. Staff very pleasant. Will stop by again sometime. Probably next week as we need to make another trip up to Oregon.

    « BEST Western »

Simply put, everything from the staff to the amenities is top notch! I can't think of ANYTHING negative to say about this place. To give you an idea, they give you a gift back before they issue you keys. I can't think of any place that actually does this sort of thing. They really do go the extra mile and it shows. I tend to not think of Ashland, OR as a major destination but I do now. Thanks Windsor Inn for making my stay an impressionable one!

« Good place near town »

Large room, two sinks, good seating, and above average coffee! Little too far from town to walk. we enjoyed our stay, although there were several tour groups of students that were in the pool area. Outside door was only negative

« You need to stop here! »

Oh what a beautiful room, the bed was so comfy we did not want to leave. Do not past this Best Western Windsor Inn up!!! Being seniors, it was easy access from I5, we were able to park with no difficulty. The front staff directed us right to our room and suggested a great restaurant within walking distance. Our breakfast was fresh, coffee was hot and we will be back the next time we travel!!

    « Senior's needs if short »

Very nice hotel room and facility. Breakfast was pretty good: love the pancake maker and the waffle maker. Mom had a little problem with the beds being to high, she's 94 years old and only 4'8" so it was difficult to bounce up. Need a rubber floor mat for the shower which was not available.

    5
    « Friendly Staff »

Our stay was like being at home, but the staff did all the work. Love this location in the Best Western Family. To anyone traveling on HWY 5 and needs a room call them. This location has it ALL. Easy to find right off highway. My wife ask a staff person for a good place to eat. he ask our likes and he suggested a Mexican restaurant and it as very good.

    « Fantastic stay »

We are in the middle of a road trip. this motel is by far the finest we have stayed at to date. Clean, quiet rooms. Double sinks and all the amenities one would hope for in a mid-priced stay. Staff was great. Shuttle available to restaurants and Ashland shows. We'll be back

    2
« Rating purely based on appropriateness for dogs »

If you book with a dog they put you on the ground floor. The biggest problem with this is the place is a motel setting so it's like you're in the parking lot. Therefore there were cars pulling in and out until about 1:00am and starting again at 6:00am and my dog reacted to each one. I appreciate hotels that take dogs, but the setup of this one is not ideal.

« Most Comfortable Best Western »

This is one of the nicest, most comfortable Best Westerns I have stayed in. They even had a shuttle that dropped us off and picked us up after the play we went to at the Shakespeare theatre in Ashland. A big bonus.

Loved all the flowers on the property. It was so quiet there even though it was fully booked Breakfast staff were very helpful , and were right on it replenishing the food. Would have loved to stay another night

« Great place to stay in Ashland, Oregon »

The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is helpful and kind and the area is picturesque. Very good internet connection for work and leisure, direct TV, pool and a large fitness room. This is one of the nicest Best Western hotels that I have stayed at- the staff was great.

    « Stop-over during our move »

Great hotel with fair price. Convenient access to I-5 and Ashland. Rooms were very clean, staff was excellent. Hit breakfast was included. A great stopping place between San Francisco and Portland, or for the Shakespeare Festival - they have a shuttle to the theaters so you can avoid trying to find parking! Will definitely return.

    « Best Stay Ever! »

My husband and I have stayed at the Windsor several times before and we have always been very satisfied, but this stay was different and especially wonderful. First of all, we were delayed getting into town and Joe, the guest receptionist, called to check in on us and to learn our estimated arrival time, which I found very thoughtful. When we eventually arrived in town Joe was there to greet us. He was so welcoming and pleasant, and we were really impressed with his guest service skills and attitude. He informed me that because I am a Best Western Rewards member they had upgraded our room and then told me if we needed anything at all to not hesitate to call. My husband and I were stunned when we entered our spacious room. What an upgrade! It was one of the best rooms I have every stayed in in my hotel-staying history. Right near the front office, complete with kitchenette, living area, and king-size bed, which was so comfortable. Our stay was short, but so terrific and memorable. The breakfast buffet was terrific, as usual, and Thomas, who checked us out, was equally great. We love Ashland and we love the Windsor. The guest service is always top-notch, we feel like we are special when we stay there, and we have never been disappointed. We highly recommend it.

    « Shakespeare Festival Stay »

Our first trip to Ashland for the Shakespeare Festival and we feel we were lucky to find the Windsor Inn. Location just off the interstate but also near downtown area. Room was quiet and comfortable. Free breakfast was above usual hotel fare. Would definitely stay again.

    « Very pleasant »

First off, don't try to get a hotel in the Ashland area in the summer - it's Shakespeare Festival time. We did, however, score a last minute room at the Beat Western. The location is good - not great - but there is easy access to downtown and ample parking. Just off the highway, it shouldn't be confused with the other Best Western in Ashland. Once you find it, however, the staff are super nice and very easy to work with. All and all - the general tone of the place is pleasant. A couple of things to note: It is not high end or luxurious. Its more or less a motel. It's comfortable and clean and provides a decent nights sleep. Another thing to consider - They offer a breakfast that's great for the kids, but best skipped for a much better coffee and scone at a nearby coffee joint. Is it the best pace to stay in Ashland? No, but it's clean, comfortable and the staff are great. And, if you can get a non-peak season room rate - it's a good value. We will definitely stay here again. The staff are just great.

« Super Location for Enjoying Shakespeare Festival! »

The Best Western Windsor Inn is in a marvelous location to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival! Comfy beds in generously sized rooms allow for a restful night's sleep, and the complimentary breakfast guests wake up to is a dream come true! All for an incredibly reasonable nightly rate! There is also a free shuttle to/from the theaters in downtown Ashland. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and the property never fail to impress me with its cleanliness, attentive service, and great location.

« One of the best Best Western's »

Great value on this hotel. I stay at a lot of different Best Westerns and this is by far one of the best kept ones. Nice size rooms in a great location- five minutes from downtown. Kind of feels like you are at a high end lodge with great views of the mountains in front of the hotel.

« Best night of our roadf trip! »

We stsyed here & have absolutely NO complaints. The room was very clean, well appointed, quiet & beds heavenly. We wished qe could have stayed more than one night. The breakfast was good & an attendant was onsite cleaning & filling as needed. The staff was great also. No complaints here!

« Helpful Staff @ Best Western Windsor Inn »

Very good hotel with helpful employees. This hotel is located adjacent to I-5 which makes it easy on the traveler. When in the Ashland area in the future I will stay at this Best Western hotel. This is a good location for families dropping of the college students at South Oregon University.

Great Room very good breakfast and the attendants do a great job at keeping everything stocked. Very nice rooms and good amenities. Comfortable beds, reliable internet. Location makes it very easy to find and perfect for people traveling. First time staying here instead of Yreka CA. Great choice!

« This place is top notch! Very beautiful and sweet experience. »

The staff are so helpful and kind. The place is immaculate and highly enjoyable. I loved the amenities and so many pillows! I stayed here three nights consecutively but in three different rooms and they were all awesome. The jaccuzi is nice and hot.

« lovely grounds, large pleasant room, helpful staff »

Very nice gardens - lovely roses. Room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel employees were extremely helpful. Restaurant is open until 11 PM, which is quite unusual, even in much larger cities than Ashland.

    « Eclipses the Competition »

A three night stay in a one bedroom suite with kitchenette. Ashland is famous for its Shakespeare festival. The hotel provides a complementary shuttle service to the festival, as Ashland has major parking issues. That alone makes the Windsor a great choice. But wait, there's more! Our room, #231 was spacious and well appointed. The kitchenette was a real bonus. The bed was first class. The highlight, and I hope that the hotel manager reads this, was the service provided by Chloe at the front desk. She went way beyond to be helpful and made our stay there enjoyable from the start.

    3
    « OK / Decent »

I've never stayed at a Best Western but gave it a shot based on TripAdvisor reviews. Friendly staff. The A/C unit was really loud and made it hard to sleep despite the comfortable bed. The pool was smaller than I expected based on photos I saw online. The exercise room was wasted potential. Plenty of room for a few more / modern cardio machines and it would be really good. Kids seemed amused by the pancake machine at the breakfast. Okay food. They had the exact same weak toasters I encountered in a hotel in Florida where it takes forever to make toast. Nice fluffy cat roams the parking lot outside the breakfast room.

    4
    « Comfortable Stay »

The hotel and staff are great! Breakfast, pool and laundry facilities are excellent additions. I do wish the hotel were a bit closer to downtown Ashland - it would be nice to be able to walk to the center. Although, there IS a shuttle convenient for theater times.

    4
    « Great Breakfast »

Great Breakfast! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tastefully decorated. Very comfortable. We would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in southern Oregon. The breakfast burrito was a pleasant surprise from the normal breakfast fare.

    « Great visit »

I stayed one night here and the staff was very helpful and cheerful, room very comfortable and breakfast offerings perfect. The staff was very knowledgeable of restaurants and gave me directions and a marked map, just to be sure. I would stay again when in Ashland.

« Great price for comfy place and close to downtown Ashland »

We stayed for two nights and had two rooms next to each other. It was quite and relaxing. We walked across the street to get excellent espresso from the truck . Breakfast is more than sufficient. We went to downtown Ashland which is a 10 minute ride and found plenty of parking. I would stay here again for the price, quiet and closeness to downtown.

« One of the best places we've stayed »

Joe at the front desk checked me in. He was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast had great selections. We will be back when we come to Ashland.

    « lovely grounds »

Large rooms, great breakfast, lovely grounds. Very nice staff and helpful. Nice pool area . We only stayed 1 nigh and will stay again. It is 800 feet from the highway and is easy on and off. they have a shuttle to town .

« Quiet, Convenient, Good Breakfast »

We stayed for 3 nights while attending plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The room was well appointed with plenty of pillows and towels and the A/C was working well which was good as the day was over 100 degrees. At checkin they asked if we were seeing a play that night, which we were and they put us on the appropriate shuttle schedule for departure and pickup after the play we were seeing. Loved the shuttle. We were able to leave the car parked all weekend and explore the area around OSF on foot before and after plays. The included breakfast was very good with each day bring a different meat ( bacon, sausage, turkey bacon) and side ( breakfast burritos, biscuits + gravy, chessy egg/ham casserole) in addition to scrambled eggs and breakfast potatoes. Then all the usual fare such as cereal, oatmeal, toasts/muffins/bagels, AND waffles AND pancakes, yogurt, fruit. Quite a spread with plenty of variety and the staff were johhny on the spot when anything ran out, refilling immediately. I was very impressed. The pool area and the pool + spa were clean and inviting so we spent some time there as well, and the beds were ever so comfortable with clean smooth sheets. Being removed from the center of town, it was fairly quiet at night as well. We will definitely make this our hotel to stay in future when visiting Ashland for OSF.

    4
« Attractive property, very good breakfast, large comfortable room. »

This property has easy access from and to I 5. However it is not conveniently located for all the activities in the center of town which for an older couple is inconvenient . For a family it would be a good experience to stay there.

    « Windsor Ashland »

The Windsor Inn, offered a very comfortable stay. Rooms were generous in size, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast service provided an abundance from which to choose and the staff was very accommodating. Rooms on the upper floor are quiet as they avoid the traffic noise from people leaving from the motel.

    4
    « Executive Suite »

Was very clean and fairly priced. The room was big, and had a fridge/freezer combo, toaster, and plenty of counter space. The bedroom was separate from the living area which is nice too. The door opens to the outside, like a motel, which was a downfall in my opinion. The fitness center was pretty weak, too. They have a big space for it - I had wished there was more free weights, a yoga mat, some kettlebells - - stuff like that. Overall, it was a great stay for business travel.

« We do not "doth protest to much" »

« Pretty average hotel with some issues »

Stayed here on our way north for the 2017 eclipse. We have stayed here previously and we're mostly satisfied with the accommodations. On this trip we stayed in a different room - near the pool - and came away disappointed. The room was tired and dated, and needs new carpet. My wife insisted on wearing shoes in the room, didn't want bare feet touching what appeared to be a dirty carpet - which was most likely stains that won't wash out. The TV remote was sans batteries and the shower was akin to a motel 6. On the plus side, the complementary breakfast was very good - nice selection of hot foods, cerials, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, and pleasant staff. It's a very convenient location, just off the freeway, next to 3 gas stations and several restaurants. But sadly the cons outweigh the pros and we won't be staying there again.

    5
« Very nice staff and clean hotel »

The staff were super nice and the room was clean and spacious. We were upgraded to a suite, which was located close to the parking and included a refrigerator, microwave and sink as well as a sitting area. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. My husband and I and our Golden Retriever had a very pleasant experience here.

    « Ashland »

I have styed there before and always like it . The rooms are clean, I laugh at the "Bunny Ear" pillows on the bed when I walk in. Staff Is helpful and friendly. Parking seems to becoming an issue. Friendly transportation to the theaters downtown and back.

    « Pleasant stay »

Convenient location for going to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, even has shuttle though street parking was ample so didn't use the shuttle. Clean and quiet room and BW has the best comp breakfast you can find! Will definitely return!

    « Wonderful hotel stay »

The Windsor Inn is about 15 minutes away from town, but the shuttle service offered to the Shakespeare Festival downtown makes all the difference. It leaves multiple times in the afternoon (with reservation made at the front desk), and picks up through the afternoon and after the last performance lets out. Amazing service provided that makes it so nice to not have to park downtown. Can go early and have dinner then see a play. It is not far from the freeway but I didn't hear one bit of highway noise. We loved cooling off in the pool, and took a little drive in the rolling hills not far that give beautiful views. Highly recommend.

    5
    « Great property! »

Consistently great service and clean hotel, convenient location. We have tried several other hotels in Ashland and the Windsor is much better than the others! Clean rooms and lovely landscaping, caring employees.

« lots of ants - diffident attitude »

We picked this hotel for its proximity to Ashland. It is not close to the town but it is right next to the freeway. We noticed a few ants the first night but left early the next morning for a day trip. Upon our return, we realized there were quite a few ants in the bathroom and on the vanity. I called the front desk to notify them of the ant problem and stated I did not want to breath any bug spray. I don't think they had any other rooms available either. He was very cordial and offered BW points. When we checked out, the front desk clerk (different person) offered a miniscuile amount of points and seemed oblivious to the problem. Found out points don't go very far, always get a discount on your room. Breakfast was good.

    1
    « ANTS! »

Room and bathroom were covered. Ants were on the bed, got into the luggage and purse. Had to spray the car for ants. Luggage was emptied in the garage so ants would not get into the house. I recommend you stay at ANY other hotel before here.

    4
« Comfortable, kid friendly, pet friendly, great staff »

The pool area and grounds were nicely appointed with greenery and flowers. Everything was clean and well groomed. Staff was very helpful. About 7 minute drive to downtown Ashland, a GREAT park (with water play for young children) about 3 minutes away. Also, near a bike path. Restaurants within walking distance. Saw lots of guests with dogs and hotel well set up for pets. Was not intrusive.

    « Windsor Innovation »

Windsor Inn in Ashland, Oregon is a good place to stay away from the crowds in the city. Staff is friendly and helpful. The beds are the most comfortable I've slept in at any hotel. Amenities are well maintained

    5
    « Good Food »

Nicely situated, just off Interstate 5, with beautiful "alpine-like" exterior, with spacious rooms. The complimentary breakfast provided more options than we've typically scene and the food was very good. The next door Oak Tree restaurant is excellent for lunch and dinner.

« Best Motel in Ashland, OR »

The Windsor Best Western has beautiful gardens, delicious breakfast, spacious clean rooms, and helpful staff. It is quiet, safe, easy to get on/off the freeway and is more like a home away from home than a motel. It's always full so better to make reservations or arrive early for check-in. High quality place.

    5
    « Joklo Pastovich »

Excellent in all respects except for noisy air conditioner. Was easy to get to Shakespeare Festival, staff unusually good. One of my grandsons who joined me later forgot his toothbrush, and the manager spent a good half hour finding one...they didn't happen to have one at the front desk and he had to go to a storeroom in another section of the building. With a smile, no less.

    4
« Great place to stay while visiting The Shakespearean Festival »

Convenient for the Shakespearean plays nice to sleep outside of the downtown area. Very helpful friendly staff on all levels. Clean, quiet room. Typical breakfast, but the staff keep it well stocked and clean they help move a lot of people through quickly.

    « Excellent service »

I stayed 4 days at the Best Western Windsor Inn in the middle of July 2017. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. They provided a good selection for breakfast every morning. The service provided was excellent, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I came to Ashland to see a Shakespearean play. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle to take guests to the theaters and a return trip back to the hotel after the play. The location is too far to walk downtown, especially in the heat of summer. However, it is possible to take that walk if you do not mind the heat and enjoy a long walk. I also visited Crater Lake and stayed at Best Western Windsor Inn as my base camp, since hotels/lodges/motels in the Crater Lake area book a year or more in advance. It was about 2 hours from this Best Western to Crater Lake. It was a beautiful sight and worth the long trip. The drive to Crater Lake was scenic. This Best Western had 2 stories, they had no elevators so if you prefer not to walk up stairs, let the staff know when booking. They provided a small refrigerator in the room and if you would like a microwave in your room, call the front desk reception to request prior to arriving for your stay. They provided an iron and ironing board. I would stay at this hotel again, when visiting this area.

    5
    « Ashland Visit »

We've stayed at BW hotels in other areas, but this was by far the nicest, with a great location and excellent complimentary breakfast. Bed was very very comfortable. Even though there was a shuttle service to the Shakespeare Festival, we were unable to take advantage of it due to the timing of our show, but that's a real plus given parking in the downtown area.

    4
« Over Nighter as BW »

We were driving through Ashland, Ore., and stayed overnight at the BW. Our stay was quick. The staff was great, the room clean, and the grounds were well kept. I would definitely return while driving up highway five.

    « More than adequate »

Clean; new mattress; cool; friendly staff-Should have made reservation with the hotel for the better price than Travelocity! Staff should tell customer about the breakfast. We were not told so didn't have it.

No elevator in hotel and many stairs to bring all stuff up. Scimpy breakfast. Only costco muffins. Doulble charged my card! I ill not go to this Best Western again! Called to ask about bill and they would not help.

« Comfortable, friendly, well managed »

I stayed here 3 nights while visiting the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. My room was very comfortable, super clean, bed was very comfortable, room and facility very quiet. Staff was very friendly and handled my requests and questions professionally. The property is about 3 miles from downtown Ashland, and if you don't have a car, they have a shuttle which runs from the start of the matinees, until the evening show is over. My suggestion is that they add morning shuttles for folks like me who didn't bring a car and want to walk around Ashland or Lithia Park in the morning. But if you have a car, and don't need to be in downtown Ashland, this is a superb property, and a great value for the money.

    « Served the purpose »

We were only at the hotel for one night as a stopover for our actual destination. Our room was clean, comfortable bed (they appeared to be changing over the mattress in the rooms), decent bathroom setup, good working T.V., quiet overnight. Staff was friendly & helpful. We chose not to eat the breakfast included with the room rate, but walked to a nearby breakfast place instead. The pool area was fairly large & well maintained. The hotel kept nicely maintained flower beds. The fitness facility would have been sufficient for me to lift weights if I had chosen to. They provided 3 aerobic machines for use.

    5
    « Charming Inn »

The inn was very well maintained, with a beautiful garden near our room. The room was attractively decorated, and very comfortable. There was a very nice complimentary breakfast, definitely worth checking out. I would highly recommend staying at this inn.

Hotel is good quality and value. Pretty quiet with good beds. Breakfast was included and had several hot options. Many good restaurant options within 15 minute drive in Ashland, Oregon. We had a suite that was quite spacious, but the air conditioner in the bedroom was broken.

« Very nice place to stay »

Professional and friendly staff. Nicely appointed. clean room and comfortable bed. Grounds and plantings so nice we had to walk around to look at them all! Conveniently located. Over the years this Best Western has continually improved and is now one of the nicest places I've stayed in the past several years. We travel a lot and this was a real treat at the end of a road trip of several weeks!

    « Outstanding Value & Quality »

Clean, quiet, well run and close to freeway on-ramps. Complimentary Hot breakfast was awesome! Exterior is well maintained with large parking lot. Front desk staff was very friendly as was room cleaning staff. Highly recommend this hotel.

    « Lovely setting »

Beautiful landscaping! Nice pool/spa area - actually have towels out there. First time we've experienced that at a BW. Beds were comfortable for me, but too hard for my daughter. Staff is very anxious to please guests.

    4
« Nice Property, Rooms Need more Fresh Air Flow »

Easy check-in with a friendly, courteous staff. Hotel grounds are well maintained. Rooms are clean w/ a small mini-fridge in each. WiFi works well. My main complaint was that though there is a window at the front of the room, there are none at the rear of room. This limits any fresh air flow, causing the rooms to smell musty at times.

    5
    « Ashland Chalet »

This delightful property located conveniently off Interstate 5 has the look of a Swiss Chalet. The freindly staff made checking in and out simple. The breakfast experience was exceptional with a banquet size room multiple pancake and waffle machines as well as turkey bacon, breakfast burritos and all the normal fare of fruit? bagels, cereal etc.

    4
    « Double sinks! »

This is a well-maintained older two-story hotel with exterior corridors. The rooms have been nicely updated and are larger than those in many newer hotels. Bathroom vanities have double sinks, a real boon when two or more guests are preparing to leave the room at the same time. I made a reservation on the website and then called to ask that our room preferences be noted. The front desk employee was very professional and assured me that we would have the quiet, second-floor room I requested. There is no elevator, so you should request a first-floor room if stairs are a challenge. Newer rooms are in a building closer to I-5 and likely to be noisier. Breakfast includes the usual choices. The conference room adjacent to the breakfast room was opened, so that guests could eat breakfast at large circular tables. The Shakespeare Theater and downtown Ashland are less than a 10 minute drive away. We will stay here again if we return to Ashland.

    4
« Large and comfortable room »

Our room was large and comfortable. The beds were comfortable and the plethora of pillows was welcome. We used the laundry and we swam, while waiting for the laundry to finish. It was a good afternoon. There are great restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast wasn't great, but it filled all the hungry spots. I would stay here again.

    5
« Nice suprise in Ashland »

Coming back from 3 weeks on the road back to Portland we stopped at the Windsor Inn. It is one of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. I normally don't go in the pool but this was inviting. Drawback is the size of the pillows. For some reason they went to little square pillows which are uncomfortable vs. normal sized. It would be a plus if they offered as others do, turkey bacon in the morning. But overall, a plus stay.

    5
    « convenient, comfortable, charming »

« A Very Good Hotel In Ashland, OR »

I stay at this hotel whenever I am traveling on I-5. I travel with a 55 lb Springer Spaniel. The hotel staff is very accommodating to give me the room I request that is quiet for Winston. A good restaurant next door. Breakfast is exceptional. One of the best I've had and it is good every time I stay at this hotel.

« Second stay even better than the first! »

The hotel is convenient to so many things--gas, restaurants--and just a short drive to OSF. We spent ten nights here in order to pack in all the available plays. Great internet, comfortable beds, full breakfast daily. Grounds are exquisite with rose trees and honeysuckle. Staff was flexible in cleaning as our schedule varied. The whirlpool is occasionally on the fritz, but that is the only negative. It was too rainy and cold to enjoy the pool area during this stay. Highly recommended!

« Out of Date needs a remodel »

Staff was very friendly, our room smelled very musty upon arrival. We got fabreeze to freshen our room. Dog friendly with an extra $20.00 . Our remote control was a joke, they said coffee was available 24 hours in lobby, not the case. They move it to the breakfast room in the morning. The hot breakfast was not good. Powdered eggs, sausage links, and fried potatoes. I have had better at other Best Westerns. Since we had a dog room, the carpet was obviously not clean. Yet they collect an additional fee to keep it clean ??? Would not stay here again. Sorry Best Western in Ashland, you did not meet my good approval rating.

« Very Nice One Night Stay - Best Western Ashland, Oregon »

We stayed one night at Best Western Windsor Inn. Its easy on - off from I-5. We are Diamond Best Western members so they upgraded us to a jacuzzi room. The king size bed was so comfortable. The pillows are great. We had a good night's sleep. The room also has a refrigerator, two comfortable chairs, table, desk area, TV, drawers, and bathroom. Their soaps are one of my favorites. The breakfast included in the morning is very good. There is a lot of good things to eat. It is complementary and served until 10:00 a.m. Swimming pool area is nice. I also like the flowers and plants. Parking is free. WIFI is free. The staff is very nice and very helpful.

    « Always a Pleasure in Ashland »

We are long time Oregon Shakespearian Festival members and attendees (40 years). We have stayed in several Motels and B&B's in Ashland. We discovered the Windsor a few years ago and although it is a couple miles from downtown and the theaters we have made it our go to stay in Ashland. Comfortable rooms, outdoor pool in the summer and great breakfast and OK exercise room. And reasonable price for the area. They do run a shuttle to the plays although we usually drive over and eat dinner downtown before the 8 PM performances, street parking time limits go off at 6 PM, although in peak season it does get iffy and the shuttle is a good option. The Windsor is a great option with Grand Kids, they have some reasonable priced suite rooms. Although near the freeway I did not notice any night noise.

« Lovely place to stay »

This was a lovely place to stay, a little out of town but an easy drive away. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The gardens were beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast was adequate although paper plates and plastic cutlery are always a negative.

    « PERFECT BEST WESTERN!!! »

We stayed as an overnight to get to family in CA. This Best Western was overall the best one I have ever stayed at. What made over the top for me was the EXCEPTIONAL customer service. The pool and area is perfectly maintained that the free breakfast was over and above what is usually provided. When traveling down to CA again, we will definitely book here again!

    « Wow! What a Beautiful Place! »

I went to Ashland to a book reading and signing event, as my friend, Carlyn Montes de Oca was appearing at Bloomsbury Books, debuting her new book, "Dog as my Doctor, Cat as my Nurse-An Animal Lover's Guide to a Healthy, Happy, & Extraordinary Life". The Best Western Windsor Inn reminds me of the town of Solvang, in California. Very Old World and timeless. It was verrrry comfortable and great staff. Thank You, Sandy Tammietti :)

    « good room/good rate »

We thought the hotel was very nice. Good size room and bathroom (we had a tall person traveling). Very clean; breakfast had a wide variety for light fare as well as things like waffles. Staff were very nice. The carpet is a bit dated, but that's OK. No elevator is a bit of a problem if you have a lot of luggage or in our case a person using a cane. We did fine, but just be aware of this. If the parking lot is full, which it was, the access to the walkways are blocked as well.

« This Hotel is GREAT »

We were delighted with our room, everything was very clean. WE had lots of room for all our stuff. the fridge is large and everything worked very well. staff is great...everyone is professional, helpful and n ice. The breakfast is very good and it is served in a big room with several tables. The garden is lovely with beautiful flowers.

« Local stopover on the first leg of our trip to Lake Tahoe »

Very elegant hotel with clean room and environment. All functions, like tv, internet and electrical utilities was in working order. The personnel was very friendly and helpful in all the ways. We received very good information about restaurants and other subjects of interest.

« First Night on Road Trip[ »

Windsor Best Western is an excellent facility in Ashland, Oregon. Price is very reasonable for location. It would be great for an overnight or for multiple nights. No dining but good options nearby. Staff always is helpful and knows area. We definitely recommend this motel for others and will stay there again.

    « Met All eExpectations »

This is our second stay at Ashland's Best Western Windsor Hotel. We will definitely be back. Their customer service is exceptional. This is a large older facility that has been well maintained and updated over the years. The breakfast was extensive and very good. We travel with our purebred kitty and were given a room that had been heavily used buy large dogs. The carpet was dirty and it had an odor. Will definitely stay here again but will check the room prior to unloading. The front desk is very accommodating and wants to please. Caldera Brewery up the street is a destination you won't want to miss. The food is exceptional as is the beer.

    5
    « Great 3 star motel »

This motel is at the top of 3 star motels. Clean rooms, very good free breakfast and a well trained staff. They also are pet friendly. A special item for me are good pillows and more than just two. They give you six! They also provide a generous flight of towels. I would search this place when traveling in Western Oregon.

    5
« My choice in Ashland »

I've stayed here and at the nearby HI Express. This was much nicer and the staff has always been outstanding and friendly. Quick walk to Caldera for a bite and a cold one. I pass through Ashland 2-4 times per year and this is my choice.

    4
    « Quiet Comfort »

There are many wings on this property, and I recommend the two story one on the back. Parking and access are easy, and they include a substantial, hot breakfast. We stay there each year for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

    5
    « A random pick. »

My wife and I were on a driving holiday and would seek overnight accommodation when the sun set at the next town we passed through. If we could find a Best Western, that was our first choice. We were seldom disappointed and we were very happy with our choice this time.

  • 4
    « Convenient Location »

We booked a pet-friendly room on the first floor during our road trip. The staff was very friendly and when asked, provided useful information and tips. They served a warm breakfast included in the price that was very good. Rooms were normal size, clean, and everything was in good working order.

    5
    « Great value »

The front desk staff were extremely attentive. The decor in the room was very tastefully done. The bed was comfortable. The big surprise is the quality of the breakfast. While it states "Continental breakfast" it is actually a full breakfast which includes make your own Belgian waffles, pancakes, as well as the usual cereals breads and fruit.

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

Hotel is in a great location and the staff was fantastic. Room was neat and clean. Bed was comfortable and the room was on point. I will stay there again if ever in the area. There is plenty of parking and it is quiet at night.

    5
    « Always Very Satisfied »

Best Western Hotels definitely meet all of my requirements when I go on a road trip. I am usually tired after a long drive and look for all the comforts forts and conveniences that Best Western offers without fail: a comfortable bed in a very clean room and a generous breakfast.

    5
« Great place - clean, wonderful breakfast, pet friendly »

Never stayed there before and were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Not only was the staff accommodating, rooms very clean and well kept, but the price was very reasonable. We had animals with us and they were supplied with a treat and linens for covering the chairs, bed, etc., so they could join us. Breakfast was more than the usual tasteless half cooked scrambled eggs and mystery sausage patty. This was real food. We will definitely stay there again!

    5
    « Ashland stay »

Great with wonderful breakfast and staff. The check in staff was very helpful. Great location also. Ashland is one of my favorite locations in Oregon. I think there is also a shuttle to the plays which is very convenient

    « Excellent Stay!!! »

« wonderful people and Inn »

I would like to tell you about our wonderful stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn Ashland Oregon and the people that made it so special We arrived late and exhausted after driving a rental truck from Portland, Oregon. We had no reservations and I admit I was a little grumpy from our long day. At first Joe at the front desk apologized because there were no rooms available. Then Jennette spoke up and reminded him of the cancellation. I think they were as happy as I was that they were able to help me. While Joe and I completed the paperwork Jennette excused herself to get us a roll a way, even stopping in the parking lot to explain to my husband and daughter that a room was available and where they could park close by to the room. This was so helpful because hubby had had both knees replaced recently and a short walk was important. We were given a lovely room; spacious, comfortable and super clean. Joe and Jennette provided us with extra chamomile tea to help us relax. We had a great nights' sleep and awoke to a wonderful breakfast. Joe recognized us and asked how are night had been. He was truly interested in us. We were better able to appreciate your lovely Inn the next day, the architecture and décor made it so nice. It was well kept and looked so pretty. We especially noticed the varnished woodwork on the balconies. Because of our experience at the Windsor Inn we will continue to look for hotels in the Best Western chain. Joe and Jennette are a great asset to you location and to your brand. We could really tell that they cared about us and helping us along our travels. And they obviously take pride in their jobs. Please do whatever you can to acknowledge and reward their above and beyond service.

    « Comfort & Bountiful Breakfast »

Having stayed in many Best Westerns around the country, this Windsor Inn was exceptional from the decor to the comfy beds to the helpful staff to the bountiful breakfast offerings that were included with the room. Not only were there eggs, bacon, potatoes, and waffles; but also pancakes and so many toasts and pastries; as well as prepared hot oatmeal with strawberries, nuts, etc. Wow. We'll gladly stay there again when visiting the wonderful Ashland.

    5
    « Great stay »

Another great stay!!! Clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff :). Our choice place to stop and stay. Again, I can't say enough about how nice and friendly the staff is here. This place should be the example for customer service.

    « Very comfortable »

Stayed at the Windsor while visiting SOU. We have a double queen room that is very comfortable beds, nice pillows and good room size. Free WiFi, mini fridge and close to restaurants, wineries, golf course and downtown Ashland. For 90.00 a night, I'd stay here again.

    « Overnight on a moving trip »

Stopped at the Windsor Best Western for a night while on moving trip from Seattle to San Fran. We got in around 10pm. The staff was really friendly, our room was large and comfortable. We ate a good breakfast then left. Good stay, great value!

    5
    « Overnight Trip »

The personnel was extremely friendly and helpful! They went out of their way to accommodate to our needs since we had a very expensive cargo in our hands of 6 Harleys. The area is also beautiful and calm.

    5
« Quaint Windsor Exterior Decor »

The service by staff is exceptional and were willing to resolve any issue that would exceed expectations. Rooms were comfortable and beds were comfortable though some of the decor was dated. Rooms were clean and grounds were walk able and is in a great locale to walk to restaurants. Would stay again- good value!

    « Simple, clean, affordable! »

Needed a place to overnight that was affordable and found the Best Western Windsor Inn the right choice. The staff was great, room was clean, and location convenient. Downtown Ashland was a 5 minute drive. In addition, a short walk to Caldera Brewery which has excellent food and beers.

« Who knew? Outstanding room at decent price. »

Ashland is on I-5, but it's not the de riguer stop. Somehow it became so for my wife and I. This Best Western was wonderful. Others were staying there by the time we arrived, but there was a host of opportunities: 2 queens, king with jacuzzi, suites, etc., all presented by a charming young lady with a great smile and attitude. We took the king with jacuzzi, nice price at $108 AAA. Nicely spacious, big TV, really quiet, even though the deluxe workout room was nearby (I don't think many that go to Ashland go there to work out). Room was spotless, Nice Keurig coffee machine, 2 comfortable lounge style chairs. The breakfast was very nice, I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy. Machines for making waffles and pancakes that seemed like they would just pop out when you thought of having them; didn't try that. I'll review the attached restaurant; ate there for dinner, very good. This is a really nice place. Out there in the world you don't find deals like this. In Ashland, we did.

    5
    « Nice stay »

Well located, comfortable, clean, caring staff. Easy access to downtown Ashland with its many good restaurants to choose from. Parking is an issue especially when attending plays at the Shakespeare Festival.

    5
« Easy access, good value »

Easy access for travel on I-5. Nice room, clean, good breakfast. Great location, just a short drive to see plays or lovely walk through park. Rooms are nice, staff super friendly. After a long drive there are several places for dinner that you can walk to.

    5
    « Wonderful Best Western »

I enjoyed my stay. Great staff! Comfortable and clean room! Wonderful stay! I arrived late in the evening and the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. I have already talked to friends and family and told them what a great stay this was and that I will be back on my next trip.

« Excellence in Ashland, Oregon »

Over the next 3 years, I will be staying in this hotel frequently; as my son runs college track and they have several meets at SOU throughout the season. My dog went with me on this trip; she was VERY much welcome here; they even had doggie packs they give you! The staff was very friendly and professional. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

« Tudor style with above avg breakfast, pet friendly »

Tudor style due tto the constant Shakespearean shows in town. This is along the freeway and is cheaper than the BW in town by a bunch. Here, I spent the night across the street from my non-ethanol gas station so it worked out nicely. Comfortable bed, double sinks (!), quiet, even a quiet flishing toilet! Breakfast was actually edible with real food and featured a pancake cooker, similar to the standard waffle maker, a good hot bar and the other standards. Nice. I will be back with wife and dog (there is a separate pet fee) for a show sometime. You can get a latte at the walk up at the end of the parking lot. This cost me $1 more than my usual Best Western over by the Medford off leash dog park 13 miles away.

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

Very nice rooms, very good service, one of better breakfasts. This is a very nice hotel. Had no problems with our stay at this hotel. The hotel is just off the freeway and very convenient to town and the freeway. We had a handicap room which made life easier for my wife who has mobility problems..

    « Passing through »

Great nights stay, comfortable bed, helpful staff. Breakfast was hot and delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel to others and plan to stay here again if I'm coming through on business. Thanks for a great stay!

« Very welcoming and well located »

Our experience at this Best Western was excellent for the upgrade for being a platinum member. The breakfast selections were very good and well laid out. We will stay here again when we are in Ashland.

    5
« Great place for travelers with pets »

We traveled with our sweet dog and our room never looked or smelled as if anyone with a pet had ever been in the room. There was a grass courtyard right outside our room to take our dog to supplied with doggie cleanup bags and a covered trash can for disposal. The hotel property was landscaped beautifully . Everything was comfortable and convenient

    5
    « A lovely way to go »

The hotel staff was very helpful and the rooms were generous except for the mattresses. I could have stayed there longer if I had to. Learned a lot of useful information on booking through the company and the discounts I could get. Will do this again.

    5
    « Exceeded expectations! »

The room was large with plenty of towels and nice toiletries. The included breakfast was great! Waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, cereal, potatoes, breads, and more. Kids and adults enjoyed our 2 night stay.

« Good spot to stop on way to Portland from Bay Area »

Perfect spot to stop on way to Oregon Clean hotel. Great breakfast. Allow dogs. Friendly service. They even called us to make sure of our arrival Time sincenwe were late due to weather. They had an influx of last minute guests and wanted to make sure we had a room!

    « Beautiful! »

We usually stay in Medford but decided to try this Best Western in Ashland on our way to Thanksgiving with family. Our upgraded room was very large and beautiful. The bed was especially nice with very nice linens. The breakfast was delicious and there were plenty of tables which isn't always the case. We were extremely pleased and will return in the future.

    « Friendly and comfortable »

    « Ashland Overnight Stay »

Stayed during my business trip. The hotel is right of Interstate 5, close to stores and gas stations. Received good service at the front desk. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast, nothing to brag about. Coffee was good. Overall good experience.

    4
    « Weekend Stay »

Hotel Room is very spacious, bigger than a normal hotel room. Wi-Fi worked great. The front desk personnel are very nice, helpful and pleasant. Love that they give you a lot of pillows. The only thing that threw me off was that the bed did not have a bedspread to protect the bed and comforter and pillow. I was itchy the whole night. I am not sure when the sheets were last changed. Breakfast was excellent, love the automatic pancake machine. Great variety of food and all taste good. I will stay at this hotel again!

    5
    « I love this place »

I have stayed at this hotel probably a dozen times and I have never been let down by their wonderful staff and clean, beautiful rooms. The breakfast has huge variety, my son loved the waffle maker. I will always stay at this hotel when I can afford it.

« My trip to my sister's 80th birthday party. »

Being a 78 yr old woman, I felt very safe having a room on the bottom floor and close to the office. Ashland is the half way point to my sister's home in Fremont, CA and seeing I was driving alone this time, it was a good place to stop for a rest.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Hotel is better than a lot of other Best Western hotels. Room was nice and had plenty of space. The carpet appeared to be high quality, but was filthy. One of two sinks would barely drain. Bed was really comfortable.

    5
    « Beautiful Property »

First time staying here, arriving from a long journey starting from Fairbanks Alaska to final destination of California. Our stop over was the best stay we had. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. all the things we needed. Breakfast was just fantastic, hot and cold items..Yummy!! and service attendant was just excellent, bringing us the morning paper to our table and big smiles. Check in and check out was also quick and very friendly front office staff. Evening Staff even sent us to an excellent Brew Pub called the Caldera, OMG! More beers then you can drink and food was 5 stars. Just right around the corner from hotel, walking distance..Oh Yes!!! This is now our yearly stop over.. Thank you to the wonderful staff. Great hotel, staff and mountain views to enjoy..

« Lovely quiet location with great breakfast »

The property is done with a Shakespeare period motif, tasteful not cute. Staff are exceptionally friendly. Get an upstairs room. I thought I would not like being outside of Ashland downtown but found I liked the peace and quiet. There is a swimming pool. Breakfast is outstanding.

    « Last Minute Reservation »

My husband and I were on a trip, driving from Oregon with our daughter and three little girls. We had no hotel reservations and called shortly before we arrived. Chris was very cordial, and booked us two rooms next to each other on the first floor. The rooms were very clean, and quiet. I loved the elegant hotel linens. They looked newly purchased. (I'm sorry I don't have a photo to add to this review.) The beds themselves were too hard for my personal preference, but that still was the only issue, and a minor one. Loved the faucet at the sink. The water flowed out like a soft waterfall. Flat screen TV, free wi-fi, small refrigerator, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, fresh orange juice in the morning with light breakfast. We were just passing through and could only stay one night, but I would choose this hotel if I come to Ashland again.

    5
« Lovely Hotel and Great Staff »

I have stayed at this hotel two years in a row and intend to continue returning every year. It is a lovely hotel with wonderful staff. It is not luxury, but is clean and has good amenities - pool, fitness center, breakfast. It is a bit outside of town, but not too far.

    5
    « Almost perfect »

Superb breakfast, weight room, plus pool & spa, ample parking, clean, friendly, ez on and off, near gas, warm cookies in lobby, great coffee. Rooms have 2 sink ante-bath, nice amenities, fridge, pillows and pillows and pillows, nice tv, free internet, comfy beds. I was in old section, the carpets need replacing (faded and worn) but other than that it was perfect

    4
« good motel and breakfast »

My husband and I came for a night, and thought the motel was nice, and the room was huge, which was a pleasant surprise. Breakfast was good, and even had some items we took with us for our bike ride later in the day. I was a little disappointed that the Inn was further from town, but having it right by the freeway was nice because we drove in pretty late at night.

    3
    « It was ok »

This place was ok. The bottom floor room was nice and clean but the noise from the people walking upstairs was pretty bad. I asked to move to an upper floor in another area and they accommodated. Nice people. Nice hotel but overall I'll stay somewhere else. The bed was very uncomfortable. Not worth he close to $190 a night price tag.

    4
    « Very Nice Stay »

We have nothing negative to say about this place other than the pool being very cold. It was clean, the front desk fellows were friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable. Good free breakfast in the morning which is always a bonus. If we were ever traveling through here again we'd certainly stay here.

    5
« The BEST Best Western we have stayed in!! »

This is a "super" Best Western Hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly along with the staff at breakfast. The rooms are decorated very nicely and very clean. Carpet was clean along with everything else. The BEST Best Western we have stayed in. I was so impressed I would like to go back and stay for a few days and check out the town of Ashland. If your traveling through this area do yourself a favor and stay here, you will not go wrong!

    « trip stay »

Primarily to see Ashland Shakespeare shows. The hotel provided transportations and the driver is very accommodating. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good with many varieties.

    « Business or pleasure »

This is my favorite Best Western hotel. The staff is excellent, the hotel is well maintained and the services are complete. The landscaping is very pleasant and well maintained, giving a lovely habitat for birds, butterflies, people and a cat, all of which we enjoyed immensely! This was a business conference for us but our pleasant stay at the hotel made it much more than that

The Best Western Windsor Inn is a great value for those stopping in Ashland, OR. We spent two nights at this very comfortable, affordable, convenient hotel in October 2016. « Quiet motel, great service too! »

Nice hotel, just off highway5. The Caldera Brewery and restaurant is within walking distance. The beers and food were really fantastic. If you go, the hamburger, veggie burger and the Repeater Repeater IPA were really first rate.

    « I5 Treat »

Traveling from Seattle to Los Angeles often we are always on the lookout for a reasonable rate and comfortable accommodations. We found it here. A touch of Shakespeare flavor to add to the "boring" road trip.

    « Good Choice »

Super comfortable motel. Very nicely maintained. Large clean rooms. Really comfortable beds. About 5 minutes drive to town. Offers a theater shuttle but didn't use. You must sign up in the lobby prior. Parking is a little difficult in town but we always found a spot. Really enjoyed the free breakfast. Large breakfast room. Juice, fruit, yogurt, waffles, pancakes plus hot varied egg item, sausage or bacon. This is a better Best Western, good choice!

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

We stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn with our two dogs while traveling I-5 from Washington to California. It was a great stopping off point and the dogs received their own welcome packets including dog bones and their own sheet to cover furniture or lay on the floor. The front desk gave us some goodies and water for the road too! The beds were so comfortable and the grounds lovely. We will stay here again for sure.

    5
    « Stop Over Hotel »

Ashland, OR Best Western is located off I-5 and I would consider it a place to stop for the night on a long road trip, although Ashland is a pretty place and I'm sure there are things to see and do there. It's a very nice Bavarian-style motel, and nothing like a Motel 6 or Comfort Inn. Large, quiet, clean rooms; free hot breakfast; & friendly staff.

    5
    « great hotel »

Best Western has really come up. Overall a great hotel. Very quiet, great decor. Friendly staff. Nice gardens. Quiet even with being so close to the 5 freeway. We will definitely stay here again when driving thru.

    « A Happy Surprise »

We have stayed in Hotels & Inns in Europe, Central & South America, as well as the U.S.of A. For the most part we have been very lucky to enjoy at least 95% of those stays. Our one experience with a Best Western was not a pleasant one. The Windsor Inn of Ashland, OR has more than erased that experience. The room and beds were very comfortable. Beautiful grounds, and the Breakfast was amazing. We'll be back!

    5
« Quiet rooms, attentive staff, handsome grounds »

I certainly did not expect to find fragrant roses and such a quiet room this close to the interstate. We were in Ashland to see to see two plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) and were consistently impressed with this hotel and its staff--from tracking us down to let us know we had left a dome light on in our car to offering a prompt and convenient shuttle to the OSF. I recommend it highly.

    5
    « A stop along the way »

Traveling north or south along the Pacific Coast, this is a perfect place to stopover before you head north or south. The scenery is fantastic, the service is excellent and whatever you may want of need is available within a few miles of the hotel have always traveled a lot and would like hotels like this at every stop.

The room was of good size but the carpet was either dirty or needed to be replaced. I would say this is about par for Best Westerns I have stayed in on other business trips. The staff is excellent and was enough to bring me back.

We have stayed at this location several times and they never let us down. The service is wonderful and the staff friendly. They are helpful with every detail. We will stay there again. Down town is not far with amazing restaurants .

« Best Western Windsor Inn »

It is a lovely hotel; comfortable accommodations and very friendly and helpful staff. We received an unexpected upgrade to a room with a Jacuzzi tub! The complementary breakfast was very good and plentiful. Staff seemed interested in hearing our only complaint that smokers congregated around our door (due to the placement of the ash can) which allowed the smell to come into our room. Staff said they would relocate the can.

« Good, Average Facility for an overnight stay . »

Had an average restful night stay. Complimentary breakfast was average . Shuttle bus to downtown Ashland is available for plays . I don't know the details because we didn't need to use it. Price a little high considering it's location.

    « Ehh! »

The hotel was pretty good. Nice amenities such as breakfast and a pool. The staff however is another story. Upon arrival we asked for a bottom floor room. It was myself, my daughter and 2 year old granddaughter and with no elevator it was very inconvenient to drag our bags up the stairs to the third floor. They could not accommodate us with the bottom floor. Being just before a holiday weekend we understood. When we left we accidentally left a shoe behind. I'm sure not the first time something like this has happened and I was confident they would handle it professionally. Boy was I wrong!! It's been almost three weeks and I still don't have my shoe. I paid for shipping which I think is appropriate. But when I called to inquire about it the young man was rude and arrogant on the phone. He wouldn't admit that the shoe had just been picked up for shipping (I talked to UPS, a whole different nightmare ) and that Best Western had not done anything with the shoe for two weeks. In summary, while I was a paying customer the service was a 3 out of 5 but the service after the fact was a 0 out of 5.

One of the best of the Best Westerns and we've stayed in many. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, spacious bathroom, great amenities, nice staff and delicious breakfast with several hot and cold entree choices.

« Quiet and Clean with Friendly Staff »

I had a very quiet nights sleep in the hotel even though my room was near a main road. The staff were extremely helpful, answering all of my questions about the local area. There is a restaurant directly next door with a pathway so you don't have to walk on the main street. The hotel is a bit dated and could use some sprucing up. For a Best Western and this location, I thought the rate was a bit high. But I was comfortable and felt safe. The hotel is conveniently located right off I-5.

« Beautiful older style motor lodge hotel. »

We were surprised how nice this hotel was. Beautiful gardens, breakfast room, and pool. Not in walking distance of downtown but very close. Clean, fridge, in room coffee. Convenient parking. Easy on/ off the freeway 5. We will be back.

    « Beautiful motel »

We stayed at this Best Western along with 2 other hotels. It is beautifully maintained, friendly staff, nice pool area, we had pizza delivered to us at the pool! The room had 2 luggage racks which is so unusual. Good place to stay.

« Insect bites while sleeping; very noisy air conditioner & refrain. »

In spite of title, most service was very good, as was the breakfast. I should have been offered a less noisy room. I'd turn down the spread and ask for a clean blanket if you stay. I did not report the bites and did not get any the second night.

« Quiet Stay Near Downtown »

This was the first night of our road trip and a great place to stay before reaching California. Ashland is a darling place to walk and we had a great dining experience downtown. The inn was comfortable and very quiet.

« Great place to stay! »

Been staying here for many years and am always delighted with the condition of the hotel, its friendly staff, the amenities, the extensive breakfast foods, and free shuttle service to and from the Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays and "downtown" area of Ashland.

    4
« Good stay in Ashland »

The shuttle service offered to the Shakespeare Festival makes this hotel a better bargain than many that were lower priced. This is the only place I'll stay in Ashland. The breakfast was better than what most hotels offer. It's also convenient and easy to find - it's right on I-5.

    « A+ »

Among the best BWs we have stayed in, and we have stayed in many. Beautifully kept property. Large, well-appointed rooms. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. It's at the outskirts of Ashland, several miles from downtown, BUT there's a free shuttle that will take you directly to the Shakespeare Festival and be waiting to pick you up after the performance (or whenever you want). Puts the other, high-priced BW in Ashland to shame (yes, we've stayed there, too).

    4
    « Ideal Location »

This was a 2 night stay while visiting family. Ideally located. Spacious room with 2 queens. Quite busy with families and Shakespeare play goers. Many rooms. Parking was a bit of a problem for our particular room location. No parking in front of breakfast area. A very nice staff person unloaded our car for us.

I was quite pleased with this hotel. Very reasonable and has everything we needed. the pool is clean and the hot tub was wonderful after a day if hiking. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Mary W.

    « Unexpected find »

I selected this property on line...and the amenities were unexpectedly great. First of all...the free breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, assorted breads to toast...yogurts, juices, coffee, teas, pancakes, waffles, oatmeal and all the condiments to go with it...FREE. Next...they have a shuttle that will take you into Ashland to the theatres...all you have to do is sign up...there are a variety of times...and then after the play...they will pick you up as well. The rooms were clean and well appointed. I will stay there again.

The grounds are amazing. I loved the garden areas around the buildings and the lodge style with exposed wood beams and carved railings. New fitness building and eating area. Room interior needs an update though.

    « Really nice staff! »

We got a room with 2 queens. When I called ahead the staff was very helpful and patient. At check-in a new staff member was very kind and helpful- even though we checked in at 10pm. The breakfast staff in the morning was also very helpful. They provided gluten free alternatives. The hotel is cute. The beds are very comfortable. There are little fridge units in each room. The workout room is nice and full of light. They provide shuttles and information for the Oregon Theatre Festival. We used both the pool and hot tub.

    « Disappointed »

Given the 4+ rating on TripAdvisor and a Best Western we were expecting an above average motel. Our room was dark, dreary and it smelled. The carpet was dirty. I wore white socks the short time we were there and they were very dark gray on the bottom. The shower curtain smelled like mildew. How hard can it be to wash it? The bed was poor quality. We found mold on a bagel at breakfast. We paid more than surrounding motels expecting more value. We will not stay there again.

    « 1st rate hotel »

My husband has COPD. The hotel staff satisfied our every need. We are traveling with a Yorkie and she was also greeted with a welcome pac.k Bottled water was a plus free of charge. The breakfast featured pancakes, waffles, eggs with sausage & turkey bacon, hashbrowns, cereal, biscuits& gravy, and too much more to mention. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

    « Kids loved it »

My husband had business in Ashland for a day, so we took the whole family to make a fun weekend of it. The weather was hot, so we took advantage of the outdoor pool. It was clean, and the kids had a lot of fun. The children also loved the complimentary breakfast, especially the hot oatmeal and pancakes. While on the outskirts of town, the hotel is only about a 10 minute drive to downtown and even closer to the ScienceWorks museum that we took the kids to. Fun architecture and clean rooms. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a family visit. They gave us 2 adjoining rooms. Thank you. Breakfast was good. Our family really enjoyed the stay. Pool was good. I am a walker. Good neighborhood for a walk. We had a dog and paid the fee. I am glad this is pet friendly.

« It was a good choice for our visit to Ashland. »

In town for a visit to the theater. This was a solid choice and well worth the rate we paid. ..Easy location to find, right off the interstate. ..Shuttle to theater. ..Good little brewery "Caldera Brewing" within walking distance. ..Friendly staff. ..Beautiful grounds. ..Nice exercise room. Although I would not categorize the rooms as luxury, it did meet our needs for a one night stay. My only complaint was the pool. It was cold and needed some more attention. I am too prissy to swim with bugs.

    3
    « Beautiful surroundings »

The price was reasonable. The room smelled musty and the carpet felt, well..... The breakfast options were very well done. The staff was very friendly. The grounds were well maintained. Great place if you love Shakespeare.

    « Horrible Best Western »

Save your money and don't stay at this Best Western. It is outdated and the staff are so rude. Food was on the floor, drapes hanging loose. The refrigerator was off and warm. When we arrived, I asked to use the restroom while we registered and they told me to go to the restaurant next door and use theirs. There was a restroom behind them. There was no elevator for guests to take their bags to the second floor and due to a physical disability we asked to be moved to the first floor. They said they were all booked up yet two couple without reservations came in while we were standing there and got rooms. Our room was considered horrible. It had food on the floor, smelled like someone had been sick in it. Beds were terrible. No closet just a portable one. Never stay there.

    « Shakespeare Savvy »

This motel has a shuttle taking patrons to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival plays. Plus it has well kept grounds with beautiful flowers, an excellent breakfast and a good exercise room. It is located near really good restaurants. The Caldera Restaurant is nearly a destination scene in itself, remarkable decor, beer selection and menu. We are senior citizens and the motel made it easy to see a play.

« Good stay for theater visit. »

My wife and I drove up to Ashland, OR and stayed her for one nite. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel--even the TV remote was cleaned daily and the matress was covered with a washable duvet rather than a bedspread. We drove to the theater ( 10 minutes) and parked downtown but they have regular shuttle buses if you prefer not to drive. Breakfast was good with a wide variety---we would return here.

    1
« HOTEL NOT ADA COMPLIANT »

This hotel is NOT for anyone with challenges to (1)climbing stairs or who has any sort of mobility issues. I include in that category not only older folks, but pregnant women, and those with any sort of movement challenges. The staff (except for the shuttle driver) seems ignorant of many things, including what items they have for use in the rooms. The gate to the pool was broken so they had to leave one on the other side wide open in order for guests to access the pool area. Not all rooms had the same amenities. All of the issues we encountered created a stressful, rather than relaxing experience.

« Loved everything about this hotel »

This was a perfect stop on our family's road trip down to the Bay area. It had a very nice swimming pool for the kids to burn some energy at and the rooms were very comfortable. The included breakfast was perfect before hitting the road and they offered a great spread of food choices for all. It was such a great overall experience that we re-booked for the return trip back home.

    « Fantastic »

We could not have been more delighted with our visit. We were cheerfully and warmly welcomed by Jesse and Joe when we arrived, presented with bottled water and cereal bars and given all the information we would need with regard to the location of our rooms and everything we were intent upon seeing and doing during our stay in Ashland. Our accommodations were spacious, immaculate and more than comfortable. The amenities, much more than we had anticipated and the breakfasts just delicious and plentiful with many choices. We are already to book for next year and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Every single employee of the hotel with whom we interacted was super friendly and more than courteous. Thank you for a great stay.

« Great place to stay while visiting Ashland »

We stayed here 1 night while passing through. We have stayed in a lot of BW and this is probably this nicest one we have been at. The rooms were large and very clean. They have a shuttle that takes you right to and from the Shakespeare Festival. That was really helpful as parking can be difficult by there. We stayed on the 2nd floor. There are no elevators, but was worth the steps since it is quieter up there. The breakfast was good, fresh and with a large dining room there was always places to sit. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

« The location and environment of this hotel. »

    « The Best - Best Western »

This location was convenient to the Freeway and easy to find. The motel was very pleasing in appearance and the service was excellent. Our room was spotless and the bed very comfortable. This location provided a full breakfast as part of the stay which was a very nice feature. I would recommend this location to anyone visiting Ashland

    « Fur baby friendly »

We stayed in Ashland after visiting Crater Lake for the day. We bring out 115 pound puppy with us everywhere we go and this hotel was more than accommodating. It was a super hot day and instead of having us leave or pup in the room, they let us take him out to the pool. They just asked that we kept him on a leash and away from the pool. They had clean pet areas outdoors, and the pet rooms didn't smell like pets. Great hotel, that I would highly recommend.

    5
« Very nice and super convenient for the Shakespeare Festival. »

« Very Nice Stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn - Ashland, Oregon »

We enjoyed our night stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland. It is very convenient to I-5 and since we were not going to the Shakespeare Festival this time, I chose this location. I was happy to see that for future trips they do have a shuttle to the festival. Check-in was SUPERB. The staff here is very nice. Being a diamond Best Western member, I was upgraded to a spa room which was nice. She also had a nice welcome present of waters and nature bars. It was nice after our long drive today. The room had a very comfortable bed. After driving a lot of hours, sometimes, I have problems the first nigh falling to sleep. Not here - it was quiet and bed comfortable. The room had the spa tub, sitting area, TV, refrigerator, etc. The Best Western has nie grounds with a swimming pool, roses, nice garden area, places to sit with views of the Ashland area. The swimming pool area is ok. We enjoyed the breakfast which had a wide variety of things to eat, including eggs, biscuit and gravy, bacon, juice, cereal, make your own pancakes and waffles, bread and muffins, and more. The breakfast room is larger size which is so nice as we easily found a table to sit at. All in all, we werre very happy with our sty.

« Best Place to contemplate Shakepeare and have great beer »

Located a small distance away from the tourist center, this is the best place for families, hikers, and Shakespere lovers like us. Quite, near stores and great eating places, this is ideal if one wants to avoid crowds, parking pressures, etc. The option of a shuttle also helps to reduce stress. Great plays, lots of other places to visit in the area. Parklike.

« Very comfortable. nice grounds »

we had a jacuzzi in our room and the bed was very comfortable. The room was a nice size too. The breakfast was included and adequate for a free one. The pool was ok but a little cloudy. They have nice gardens on the grounds and bird feeders to watch. It's not close to downtown but it is right off the freeway. I'd stay there again.

    5
« This was a great over night stop for us on the road »

This was a very nice hotel for us when we were on the road. We stay there every year. It's clean, well decorated and the hot breakfast was great too. It's a little pricey but worth it. The staff was very efficient and even gave us a discount card for the nearby Mexican restaurant.

    « One Night Stay »

Our stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn in Ashland Oregon was very enjoyable. We stayed a night there while on our honeymoon and found it to be a relaxing experience. The bed was very comfortable and we slept very well in it. The hot tub was very romantic and made for an enjoyable way to relax. We would both recommend this hotel to friends and family. Also, the breakfast was one of the best we've ever found in a chain hotel in the united states. The food was tasty, especially the breakfast burritos served that morning.

« Great Place to Stay in Ashland »

The Windsor Inn is our first choice of a motel when staying in Ashland. It is a top notch motel, very accommodating, reasonably priced, and much easier place to get a reservation than the downtown motels. We don't even consider staying anywhere else.

    5
    « Wonderful find! »

We traveled to Ashland, Oregon to attend the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and spent 4 nights in this delightful accommodation. The room was tastefully furnished and very clean, the breakfast selections were numerous (self-serve waffles, pancakes, egg dishes, sausage or bacon, fresh fruit, cereals, breads), and we greatly appreciated the shuttle service to the center of town and plays. We would definitely stay here the next time!

    5
    « Peaceful, refreshing »

I've stayed here several times over the years and the service has always been stellar. This time I had my two small granddaughters with me. They greatly enjoyed the pool and spa after a long day's drive from Portland. BW Windsor Inn will continue to be a stopping over point for us on the way to the SF Bay Area.

    « Great Motel »

This is a well-organized, well-run hotel in the outskirts of Ashland. The small laundry facility was a welcome sight. We were in Ashland to see the Oregon Shakespeare Festval and were very pleased that the motel shuttle took us and picked us up from the show, very convenient as parking is difficult.

« Beautiful Place to Stay! »

I loved this Inn. It was pretty and clean. The staff was super friendly and the breakfast was really good! Also there were rose bushes in bloom which made his Bavarian looking Inn that much more beautiful! I wish we'd had more time to stay another night!

    « cannot recommend »

Breakfast staff was fabulous. Room was good...clean beds, and bathroom - but stained chairs and carpet and loads of bottle caps and nail clippings, etc on the floor. Our pet fee was removed to make up for our dirty floor...so that was fair. Pool looked inviting though we did not use. Laundry facility was clean and reasonably priced. AC did not cool room. It came on for a few minutes then turned off. It was a very hot first night. Maintenance came to see if it could be fixed around noonish. He turned it on for a few seconds and stated "works good". I explained that it would not stay on long enough to cool the room. He looked me up and down slowly with a sneer and repeated "works good". I ignored his rudeness and asked him to check to see if the ac was working properly and to please check the filter as well. He begrudgingly took the filthy air filter and returned with a clean one, checking nothing else.. and told me ...again with a long slow look up and down at my body with the same sneering grin stated "ok, works goooood". He repeated this with another long slow stare at every inch of me. My children were very uncomfortable as was I. Sexual harassment is not acceptable. I told him to go. I called the front desk. The first person I spoke with was difficult to hear. I asked to speak with someone else...it turned out to be the GM. The GM's response was that the maintenance man has been with them a long time. That is it. Minutes later she told us that since we did not like the staff we needed to check out and to leave. Did not like? A male employee in my room looking me up and down numerous times with a huge grin is indeed something I do not like. Unheard of! We are diamond select members. It would seem when something does go wrong here the GM does not know how to handle it so she blames the guest.

    « Convenient and comfortable »

We stayed here one night when we were going to see a play but needed to get out of town quickly the next morning. The staff at check-in was friendly and helpful -- he gave us cold water, explained the shuttle service into downtown, and was all-around knowledgeable. The breakfast was nice for this type of breakfast and there was lots of seating. If we are in a similar situation again, I would select this hotel.

    « Outstanding experiencec »

Joe. I called the day before to check on our reservation to see about getting a handicap room and adding a cot. Joe was so professional, helpful and positive. I hung up the phone and told my husband how impressed I was with his customer service. The next day at check in, there was Joe. I travel several times a year. I honestly think Joe offered the friendly, most helpful experience I've ever had checking in, and answering my questions and providing for my accommodations. Truly a wonderful person to meet. We come to Ashland every year and always stay at the Best Western, Bard's Inn. They were sold out, so we booked the Windsor Inn. We will now be dedicated to THIS hotel. The staff, the amenities (we loved the pool) the breakfast, the rooms, we felt in every aspect this was the better hotel. Count on us to be repeat customers!

    « Pleasant surprise »

We stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn in June while traveling from Portland, OR to Yosemite and were definitely pleased at the location, the service and the breakfast. The room was very comfortable and quiet. A plus is the location of several restaurants within walking distance so once we parked we didn't have to move the car. We did notice that the lot was full later in the evening. We would certainly recommend this Best Western Inn.

For being a budget hotel, this was really nice. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The rooms were clean and spacious and comfortable. The price is reasonable. Stayed here last night and found it very comfortable. Easy off I5 and staff was very friendly at check in. Room was good size on ground level (requested), comfortable bed with lots of pillows. « Pleasant Surprise »

We booked two rooms for our group of 7 as we headed up to Portland for a wedding. We were looking for very economical hotels for our trip because we needed two rooms for a total of six nights which adds up quickly. We definitely got our best value at the Windsor Inn. We were greeted with water bottles and granola bars as a welcome. The front desk was very helpful with suggestions for dinner downtown. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The breakfast had a nice selection. Make your own pancakes and waffles, cereals, breakfast burritos, potatoes, juice selections, etc. Not to mention that the Inn just looks so quaint. It was a very enjoyable and we will definitely stay there again.

    « A jewel »

This Best Western was one of the best we have encountered in our travels. From the staff to the accommodations, all were excellent. We were greeted by a super friendly receptionist who had a host of recommendations of things to do and see in the area. The room was very clean and well appointed for the rate, and the pool was a real bonus given the heat of the day. We will definitely stay here again on our trips North.

« Disneylandish but well kept, hotel »

The architectural embellishments look more like Disney does Swiss Chalet, than the "Olde English" associated with Ashland. However, this hotel is impeccably kept with lovely landscaping, very nicely appointed rooms, and good service. It is located close to the freeway, as opposed to near the downtown Ashland area. However it is a 5 minute drive, not a problem.

    « A good stop-over spot »

We needed a place to stop while traveling between Portland and California, but were concerned with finding what we wanted in Ashland during the Shakespeare festival. We appreciated the non-smoking king bed room we were able to book 2 nights ahead. The facility was clean and relatively quiet despite being close to the Interstate, and there was a great selection for breakfast.

    « Best Western Ashland »

We were in Ashland for the Shakespeare festival. Hotels close to the venues are twice as expensive as the Windsor. The Windsor has as a shuttle service to the Shakespeare venues which makes it very convenient. The hotel also has a nice pool and hot tub and offers an excellent breakfast.

« Clean, great service, great price »

If staying in Ashland, this hotel has got to be the best value, best quality for the $. The rooms are large and comfortable. The rooms and grounds are impeccably clean. The selection at breakfast is as good or better as anything else in this price range. If going to the Shakespeare Festival, the hotel provides free shuttle service too.

    « Dog-welcoming, luxurious, and reasonable »

We stayed here with a big dog, who was given a welcome package. The room was lovely, spacious and well laid-out. The bedding was luxurious (a few too many pillows, but better too many than too few). The motel provided a free complete breakfast. Would certainly stay there again, especially with a dog. Most lodging of this caliber have big dog charges or do not allow big dogs or any dogs.

    « Very nice hotel »

« Great Charming Hotel and Staff »

We loved our stay at the Windsor Inn. The front desk staff was friendly and really willing to go out of their way to help. It's really a beautiful Tudor-style hotel with polished wood banisters and lovely buildings inside and out. The double queen size room was really spacious and well-designed - and the beds comfortable. It's right off Interstate 5, so it's easy to find, and surprisingly quiet, actually. We didn't hear any traffic noise. It's also only about 5 minutes from downtown Ashland and the Shakespeare festival. Breakfast was way beyond the standard - with hot eggs, sausage in addition to the standard bagel, juice and coffee fare. Personally, I fixed myself a fresh waffle. But you could have pancakes, too, all included in the price of the room. We loved our stay there - pleasantly surprised at the high quality of everything, and will definitely stay there again when we come to Ashland.

Great place for a one-night stop on our family road trip. We used the pool and the full hot breakfast was a hit with the kids. It's right off the highway, but not noisy, not right in the thick of downtown Ashland. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We always stay here on our way up to Portland; sometimes for s few days so we can attend a play, or just overnight to break up the trip. The hotel was clean and priced well. The staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. The breakfast offered many options and helped start our day off right. If you prefer to stay away from the downtown hustle and bustle, I would definitely recommend this hotel. There are restaurants within walking distance, two gas stations on the nearby corners, and a convenient shuttle to the theaters.

« On the way to the gorge »

My 81 year old mother and I stayed at this hotel on July 3 and again on July 10 while traveling between Sacramento and the greater Portland area. Although the rooms face the parking lot and ours backed up to lots of traffic, we really didn't hear the traffic. There are no elevators in this hotel. Keep that in mind if traveling with anyone with limited mobility. Be sure to ask for a ground floor room. The bathrooms are a bit small, but fine. The 'free' breakfast was much more than continental. There were waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, muffins, and various breads. If you are tired of driving, you can walk across the parking lot and eat at Black Bear Diner. Be sure to check out Harry and David's store nearby. The person who checked us in on the 3rd was much friendlier than the person who checked us in on the 10th. When I inquired why my room on the 10th cost more than the same room on the 3rd (holiday weekend), she curtly replied, "Rates change daily." That one encounter is my only complaint about the hotel.

    « Fine Motel »

The BW Windsor Inn made an excellent overnight stop on our drive up I-5. Our two-queen room seemed spacious and tastefully decorated. The beds were very comfortable and had lots of pillows, making it easy to arrange a sweet spot for TV-watching, reading, or whatever. The shower was adequately powerful, though just barely. It's shower head was the detachable hand-held type which worked well. Except for one burned out light bulb, the room was perfectly prepared for us. The architecture of the Windsor Inn has a modern take on Elizabethan half-timbered design that fits well into Ashland's Shakespeare Festival theme. Our room was fronted by a garden featuring many beautiful in-bloom rose bushes.

« Comfy Beds, great staff »

We stayed here for 1 night and the staff were so cheerful. Room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was more than expected and the quality was very good. Would stay here again and have told others if passing through they should stay there.

    « Solid service, clean, NOT a B and B experience. »

Very well reviewed here, and I can see why, clean, attractive large hotel, great service. Location is not ideal, (right near the freeway onramp) and town is about 2 miles away. There are lots of overnight travelers, so it is busy. There are quieter more boutique like hotels in or nearer to town, which is why I give it a very good but not excellent.

« Pretty but no elevator & all outside doors »

Good size room but all of them have outside door and there isn't an elevator. A number of the rooms also have connecting doors which are good for families. Nice bath amenities, bed & linens. Small fridge & coffee maker. Honeysuckle climbing on the outside walls adds to the smbience along with the lovely gardens. Good black out drapes. Very noisy late at night the night I was there. Nice front desk personnel.

    « Disappointed »

I was attending a family reunion in California thought we would stop for v an evening in Ashland and after much research we landed on this hotel since it had raving reviews. We however did not experience the same love this hotel experience. Service was mediocre our room smelled funny and we had a few extra visitors (ants) that stayed with us that wish they wouldn't have. We tried calling the desk and number of times and couldn't get anyone to answer. The grounds are pretty and rooms minus the ants are nice and spacious but can't get over the few issues we had. We won't be returning.

    « Perfect Stopover!! »

Good rates, particularly for Summer in Ashland!! Super nice and helpful staff! Really clean and nice room!! Complimentary breakfast. What more could you ask for?!? If it wasn't a bit too far from downtown Ashland, I'd give it 5-Stars! Having used Ashland repeatedly as a stopover point on our many travels from Los Angeles to Portland/Seattle/Vancouver/etc., and having stayed at several of the hotels in Ashland, including the Ashland Springs Hotel, I'd say the Best Western ranks near the top of our short list for value, cleanliness, service, etc! Like I said, if it was just a bit closer to downtown, I'd give it 5-stars easy!

    « incredible hotel »

The friendliest people, one of the most comfortable bed's I have ever slept on. I was a good distance from the free breakfast, an with a new hip replacement 4 months ago I couldn't walk to try the breakfast. But the hotel property was immaculently kept. And the room was clean and fresh. I would stay here again.

    4
« pricey, but almost worth it! »

A little old in the style and decor, but for the Renaissance stuff in the area it fits right in. Long walk for breakfast, that i could not do (due to a hip being replaced 3 months earlier.) The most comfortable bed and the hot tub in the room worked on old tired muscles very well.

« Best you can get in a motel »

A big facility with a good breakfast, acceptable exercise area and pool and nice rooms. It's beautifully landscaped and gives you more than any normal motel. The staff is also very well trained. We were pleasantly surprised.

    « Nice place »

Liked it fine except the high summer rates. However, everything worked in the room, it was clean & quiet even thought I had the soda machine & pool outside my room. Appreciated comfy chairs in the room & that the bed was a regular hight (last place bed was so high off ground you wanted a step to get up).

    « Great stay »

The down town location was book, but no worries this hotel was amazing and the staff was as amazing. I got the last room which was a king suite with a jacuzzi. Room was great with vaulted ceiling above average bathroom clean great bed. Breakfast was like everything thing else in this hotel, amazing. So if your in Ashland this is a great place to stay.

    « nice stay »

This was one of the best Hotels on our 14 day trip out west. The grounds were beautiful and very well kept. The fitness center was the best one on the whole trip. nice equipment and kept up nice. I wish we could have stayed another day or two.

    « A nice surprise »

This was our first time at this Best Western but it won't be the last. They offer a shuttle to and from Ashland which is very convenient considering the traffic in Ashland is packed and parking is hard to find. Staff was friendly and rooms are spacious. The breakfast has hot entrees, waffles, cereals, breads. No one goes hungry. Minimal seating outside but lots inside and the room is not crowded.

    « Don't pass up Ashland BW »

This Was the only hotel found with rooms for 80 miles, we were glad to find it after a long day of driving. All very nice and worth the stop. Pool was cold but the spa was nice and large. Frig but no micro in the room we had. AC unit had fan only setting to drown out any outside noise from happy hour arrivals.

    3
« Friendly, attractive, comfortable place. »

Very warm and welcoming employees greet you at this attractive Best Western. Our room had all the expected amenities and we are super grateful that the place is dog friendly. Bed was comfy and room was clean, though I have to say the rug was one of those hard industrial carpets that always looks and feels grungy...probably because it's a pet room. Also, this hotel has a motel style layout where each room opens to the public walkway so you get a lot of noise from passing guests and the pool area below. Breakfast was the usual...make your own pancakes and waffles...egg choices, etc. only bad part were the baked goods which were uniformly awful. Hate to sound so picky, but how hard can it be to have decent muffins? These were awful and so were the scones. Even the English muffin was soggy and I gave up on the toaster which took forever. Bottom line is we'd come back here because it was safe, relatively clean and convenient and the staff was so nice, but they could vastly improve their breakfast by finding a different vendor for baked goods. And new carpets wouldn't hurt.

    « Loved BW Windsor »

After a long trip, it was wonderful to be met with such a warm welcome by the awesome check-in staff. All aspects of the hotel were great - pool, hot tub, rooms, etc. We will definitely stay at this hotel the next time we are in the area.

« Great location, beautiful grounds. »

Very convenient location, walking distance to 3 restaurants and convenience store, friendly staff, very nice complimentary breakfast. The only reason I'm not giving a higher rating, is due to the filthy carpet in our room, and the a/c & heater unit made a very loud sound while fan was running.

    4
    « Very nice hotel »

We were visiting Southern Oregon University in Ashland and found this hotel to be very convenient to the campus. Breakfast was very nice and the servers kept everything stocked up and clean. Room was large and quite. Outside hallways, but still quiet. Spa was nice and clean.

    5
    « Excellent stay! »

It's so rare these days to get a decent hotel. Prices have gone up but quality down. Windsor exceeded my expectations! Fast, friendly late night check in. Big, spacious room with comfy beds. Beautiful exercise room. Good, lots of variety breakfast. Wish we had more than one night there! !!

    5
« Comfortable, quiet room and great breakfast! »

The suite was all they had left but we were glad to have a room! It was a very nice, large room with lovely decor. It was quiet and it offered everything we needed and more. The breakfast was amazing and so was the coffee. The hotel staff are very generous and employ many kind hearted people. We will definitely stay there again. I would suggest having dinner at Caldera's; it's a short walking distance from the hotel. Great food and craft beers. They also have a nice wine list!

    5
    « I wanted to move in »

I loved this hotel. My daughter and I didn't want to leave and the rest of the places we stayed during our road trip made us miss this one! The room was spacious, the bathroom was beautiful, the breakfast was really great and the location was perfect.

    « location and clean »

Very convenient hotel and referred it to many travelers. I have Best Western Rewards and find this location to be very convenient for travelers as well as a pretty and clean area. It's not far from downtown Ashland. All included, like breakfast, and al other amenities are great. I will come back and stay at your hotel on my next trip.

    « Best Western that's for sure »

OK arrived at Best Western Ashland Oregon after a 6 and half hour drive through terrible weather. The first site of the hotel was fantastic Swiss style frontal and cloud covered mountains opposite. The staff at front desk very efficient and friendly. The room and view wonderful. Breakfast self service with so much choice. Would fully recommend this hotel .

    5
    « Ashland Best Western »

Convenient location with great breakfast. I was surprised how the noise from the highway did not bother us as this hotel is just off the highway. Actually pretty quiet. There is also a wonderful restaurant right next door that serves breakfast all day as well as numerous other selections for lunch and dinner. Casual dining. You will need to drive into the main area of downtown Ashland though as it is about 3 miles away, but good value for the price and very clean - comfortable bed.

    5
« Great Place To Stop »

I'm not sure I want to share too much of this because I don't want this hotel getting so much business that I can't get a room. Most everything about this place is excellent. The staff, the rooms, the exterior of the hotel, the swimming pool, the breakfast, and the location are difficult to beat.

« Very happy with the Windsor Inn...... »

In short, we had a great stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn! We stayed several nights in a comfortable, well-kept up room. Our 2nd floor room (2 floors at this hotel) had a high ceiling which made the room seem larger. The room was quiet overnight all four nites even though the hotel was near the I-5 freeway. The HVAC unit was new and worked well (see the instructions in the guest information book/binder.). It was over a hundred degrees on one of the days, but the room was very cool/cold from the A/C. Marble counter in the bathroom was nice. The staff at the front desk, breakfast room, and housekeeping were all very friendly, especially the front desk. If only hotel staff the world over could be as welcoming as these folks. Outside, the hotel grounds were well maintained and clean. Location wise, this motel is a few minutes drive from the main Ashland Downtown area with all the restaurants and theatre, but traffic was never a problem when going to/from downtown Ashland. One of the 'best' Best Westerns.....

    « Nice Best Western »

Very clean room and comfort bed! Overall experience was very nice, but a/c needed to be replaced. Reported it to the office when we checked out. Staff thanked us for telling they. We thought the breakfast was excellent. They afford brunch casserole one morning and the next morning breakfast burritos with sausage and bacon, also different potato dishes. Excellent!!!

    « Road Trip »

This motel is located right off I-5 about 3miles from downtown Ashland. We were greeted by a friendly and helpful man at the front desk who gave us great directions to downtown to where our play was being preformed. The rooms were clean but dated and our room had the hotel room smell to it. The bed was comfortable and they did serve breakfast which we didn't eat at during this stay. I could possibly stay here on our next trip but would love to see some new room upgrades.

    5
« Finally, a decent sized bar of soap! »

Maybe it's just me, but I really get tired of washing with a bar of soap the size of a matchbook. Windsor soap is great. Take the bar home and it'll keep ya clean for a week. Service at the front desk was top notch, and the two guys there were actually entertaining and funny............seriously, how often do you get that? In addition, the room and the Wifi were perfect, and the rate fair.

    3
    « Trip Home »

Average room. They were repaving parking lot so was somewhat congested. Web and tripadvisor say pet friendly but what they don't say there is a $20 pet fee. LaQuinta in Ashland is comparable in amenities but does not charge a pet fee.

    5
« Good value, great service »

For the price, this hotel is wonderful. The entire staff is friendly, rooms are clean and amenities are great. It is centrally located right near many events in the Ashland/Medford area. It is also a bonus that the facility is pet friendly.

    « Unwelcoming check in »

We checked in around 11:15 pm on Sunday May 22nd 2016 after driving From Seattle. It had been a long day and we wanted to get some rest before Driving another 7 hours to get home. The old man working at the desk was very Grumpy and was very irritated when I was answering his questions. When he asked me the make of my vehicle I told him it was a Scion. He said that is the model and He needed the make of the vehicle like Dodge, Toyota, Chevy. I explained the make is a Scion. He repeated several times that he needed the make and not the model. I told him each time the model is a Scion. I finally told him to go and look at my car And he did and said so it is a scion. After that he kept repeatedly asking if I had pets and each time I told him no. After the interrogation I get the room key to find out there is no elevator to get to the 2nd floor. We were in our room maybe five minutes and the old man was at our door stating he was getting complaints that we were too loud. We were talking at normal voice levels in our room and the TV was off. I have stayed in many motels and this is the worst ever. No more BW motels for me.

« Best Western Windsor Inn has become a favorite »

This is our second stay at this Inn and now we will plan ahead to stay on our trips up the Interstate 5 corridor. Very helpful staff, clean well-appointed rooms, comfortable beds, good TV, great internet. And a fantastic restaurant within a mile (The Caldera).

    2
    « One time stay »

First time staying here as we usually stay at another pet-friendly hotel currently under construction. Suffice to say, we will not be returning here. The hotel grounds are very beautiful and well kept; however, the rest of the room and amenities leave much to be desired and are not commensurate with the rate. I think all hotels should do away with all carpeting. Period. There was an odor to the room which smelled as though it were a combination of dirty carpet, dirty dog, and ineffective vacuum cleaner. Bed spreads were gross, synthetic fiber covers and beds were bouncy, squeaky and horribly uncomfortable. Tech device charging nearly impossible with scarcity of outlets NOT in use by a lamp. Last but not least, the internet=useless. The welcome doggie treat was a nice touch and staff were welcoming and kind but as for the hotel, its tired and old and in desperate need of some upgrades .

    5
    « Another great stay! »

We've come to this hotel for the last 3 years and have always stayed 7 nights. Each time it's been great! The grounds, room, breakfast, pool, and staff are to be commended for their professionalism and gracious attentiveness! We'll come back next year!

    5
« Nice stay with great service »

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The room was quiet, comfortable and a decent size. We used their pool, hot tub and gym. The staff also let us use the indoor pool at the hotel next door, since it was April. This was great with two small kids. The continental breakfast was also surprisingly good with a large variety of items.

« Quiet place to stay at Ashland Shakespeare Festival »

The hotel was fine, room was comfortable, quiet for sleeping, and had everything in it for comfort. My only complaint would be with the breakfast, which was included in the room rate. It was not good; anything served hot was 'pre-cooked' and warmed up and put in an ancient warming table. The rest of the breakfast room is in need of an upgrade and not set up for efficiency.

    5
    « Nice Stay »

I stayed here with my husband and two children on an emergency trip. We were not sightseeing in Ashland, just needing a nice place to stay on our way home to Northern Oregon. What stands out to me most about our stay is how comfortable the room was- it was nice and large with two queen beds, which were very very comfortable. I'm a soft bed and softer pillows kind of person so I was very happy. The free breakfast was great. It was available long enough for us to give our kids their cereal immediately after waking up, while being able to go back a little later for something more substantial. I wasn't able to find the coffee right away, and I wasn't the only one, but I chalk that up to not having had any coffee yet that morning.... The hotel is a little bit off the beaten path in Ashland, which was perfectly fine for us. If you have a car it's no problem at all, as there really didn't seem to be anything to walk to. I found that it was very quite and relaxing, and the hotel itself is very cute. Also everyone was friendly, but that's Oregon for you. All in all, we will be back. We are headed to California again in June and plan to make this our overnight stop once more.

    5
« Great place to stay »

Was impressed immediately by the excellent service at the front desk. The grounds are beautiful with many flowers and shrubs. The rooms are set back from the parking lot so there is no noise from the parking area. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The free breakfast was the best I have had at any hotel chain and the eating area was kept very clean.

    5
    « Looks like a resort »

This place was very nice. The gardens (yes gardens) was a nice touch to the hotel area. The staff friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very relaxing. This was a very nice find. Breakfast room was large, but could be small if they close off the larger area if a meeting was going on. They even had a machine to make pancakes. They had the standard waffle maker, but I had never seen a pancake maker.

    5
« Top tier of a Best Western chain »

I was extremely fortunate to have one of the large, king suites. It is in the back, garden wing, and was very quiet; rooms are very large, and one long wall of the living room is an attractive kitchen. My friends had a regular, two-bed room of normal size and amenities and the mini-refrigerator. A full, hot breakfast buffet is included, and there is a fairly large swimming pool. The staff is very friendly, and there were just a couple of minor glitches. One evening when I returned, they had killed my key card, but replaced it promptly. I would stay there again.

    4
« Good alternative in Ashland »

Although the hotel is on the outskirts of town it is a good alternative to its BW counterpart next to the Shakespeare Theaters. It is within driving distance to good restaurants. The price is right and the hotel is clean, the rooms spacious and the price is right. The breakfast is at best adequate. Friendly staff.

    5
« Nice hotel in Ashland »

We were very pleased with our stay at the Windsor Inn. The girl at the front desk was very welcoming, even to our dog. Our room was extremely clean and quiet and the bed was so comfortable! We even stayed again on our way home the next week. Highly recommend if you are looking for a clean quiet pet friendly place.

« This one is the best! »

We spent two nights at the Best Western - Windsor in Ashland, OR. It was one of the best, if not the best, motels we have stayed at in recent years. The facility is located convenient to I-5 but not too close--there was absolutely no noise. The grounds are beautiful with roses and other flowering bushes. There is a nice spa and a large swimming pool. The exercise room is well stocked with equipment, clean and bright with lots of windows. Each staff person that we had contact with was friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was totally unexpected. It offered almost all items that you would find in a restaurant. Yes, you did need to wait on yourself, but there were a large selection from cold cereal to eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. We plan to stay here whenever in Ashland.

    4
    « Gem with a personal touch »

Huge facility that has been updated over the years. Reflects the Ashland persona. Very convenient to freeway and walking distance to all food services. Be sure to visit Caldera Brewery for excellent craft beer and wonderful food. Hotel rooms are a bit dark but have excellent mattresses and pillows, etc. Rooms are large, internet is good and breakfast has lots of options and is well presented. Everything is very clean. Parking right outside your door. Our pet was welcome for a reasonable deposit. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Ashland. Our host, Jon, at the front desk was exceptional. He knows the area and able to make recommendations to suit your every need.

    5
« Cleanest motel in Ashland »

Great staff, beautiful landscaping, clean rooms. The breakfast staff was friendly and efficient, keeping the area clean and well stocked. The exercise room had a great variety and nice sound system. Nice pool and jacuzzi. Easy access to the freeway, without the freeway noise.

« Girls trip to Ashland »

Wonderful staff, accommodating and helpful. Beautiful gardens. Good continental breakfast that varied all three mornings. It's approximately three miles off the Ashland plaza but would definitely recommend. Jo at the front desk is fabulous, when we needed anything he brought it to us versus us having to walk back to the office.

    4
    « Strange housekeeping policy »

With the exception of the information below I would rate this as Very Good to Excellent in all aspects with a very good free breakfash. The first 3 days of our 5 day stay were excellent and without problems. Day 4 our room was not fully serviced. We let it slip as one time event. Day 5 only the towels were changed! Beds were not made and toilet was not even cleaned. Phoned desk, informed that they "offer" three levels of service, low, medium and full (no differenced in price). Housekeeping is to ask what level you wish. We had not been informed of this. Midweek the housekeeper did ask us if we wanted our room serviced. We though this strange but replied yes please make up the room. This was interpreted as low service and all we got were towel changes. Not a good policy and be sure to request full service for your entire visit.

    « Best Western Ashland »

Great hotel in Ashland for a good nights rest and right by Caldera Brewery for a good evening of libations. This area is so scenic and beautiful that it is a wonderful place to experience. It is an area that has so much to offer for the whole family.

    5
    « Highly recommend »

Quiet. Beds and pillows extremely comfortable. Excellent full-service breakfast. Excellent and helpful staff. Only issue was the staff had to come to the room to explain how to operate the heater/cooling system, which was taken care of immediately and had no problem afterwards.

« Great Place to Stay »

One of the nicest Best Westerns we've ever stayed. Amazing upkeep, everything is pristine. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms are great. Very close to the main shopping area and restaurants are also very handy. Outdoor pool and spa we also very clean. If we are ever in the Ashland area we will stay again

« Home away from home »

WE travel to Ashland four or five times a year for the Shakespeare Festival. On some of our first visits we stayed at other hotels. WE now stay at the Windsor Inn exclusively. The staff is wonderful, the property is beautiful and there is easy access to town and the freeway.

    5
« Quality in Every Way »

Upon arrival we were greeted with complimentary bottles of water and snack bars. Appreciated after a long drive. We were not traveling with a pet, but we were impressed on how they greeted those that checked in with a pet. They furnished the pet owner with a special blanket and milk bones. This is one of the finest BW we have used. The bed was so comfortable we slept way longer than normal. We hope to have an excuse to return, as this is a quality place to say.

    4
    « Clean & Comfortable »

The Best Western Windsor in Ashland is a well maintained property just off the I5 and a couple miles from downtown Ashland. The grounds and the rooms are immaculate. The staff is friendly and helpful. The best part is the comfort of the bed, `cause, afterall that is the main reason you're there. My only issue was the wireless internet. It worked OK when we arrived, but after we got back from dinner at about 10 PM I couldn't connect. The WiFi was connected but it kept giving me a 'Cannot connect to the internet' error message. I'm pretty good w/ computers and networking so I was confident that it wasn't my system (after all nothing changed on my end while we were at dinner). Since it was late I didn't bother the desk. The next morning the problem persisted so we just packed and left. We did appreciate the complementary upgrade and would stay here again.

    4
« High quality, great breakfast. »

Above average motel, easy access and convenient to downtown Ashland. Standard amenities and well maintained. Excellent breakfast in large dining room. Lots of parking for cars as well as larger vehicles but not I5 trucks. Relatively quiet. Would stay here again.

    5
    « Excellent »

Enjoyed the friendly staff, great breakfast, hot tub was big and hot. Rooms were nice and clean. The staff called me after I left a day early just to confirm that I was indeed checking out. Went above and beyond. Our only issue was we were in a suite and the cable to TV was lose so we fixed it ourselves and informed the front desk.

    « Ashland trip »

Hotel staff excellent and rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was nice and hot tub was clean and hot! Beds were very comfortable and several pillows. Internet access was slow but available. Coffee maker worked! Breakfast was good and they kept items fresh and full.

    5
    « Comfortable Hangout »

My wife and I have stayed at the Windsor for years, beginning in the 1980s. It has gone through many transformations over the years, but now seems to have reached a peak of excellence. This spot is not necessarily our first choice, but every once in a while we choose to come here, specifically. This was one of those times, and we were not disappointed. A tremendous amount of work has been done to brighten up the exterior landscaping and to make the entire property seem brighter and more fresh. The rooms are comfortable and, though filled to near capacity, quiet. Breakfast is very good. And the property is located on the edge of Ashland, but still close in to all the things you want to do.

    « We had a wonderful experience »

Perfectly situated in the Beautiful town of Ashland located at the base of the Siskiyou Mountains, close to skiing and lakes!! The service was over the top! Epic is the word that comes to mind... I would recommend this experience to any and all who enter the doors!

« Home away from home »

Have Best Western on my speed dial. Windsor Inn in Ashland, Oregon is a wonderful place to stay. Clean, rooms spacious, big breakfast room, service is great, and easy on and off from freeway, Interstate 5.

    5
    « Awesome Staff »

I was in town for the Siskiyou Challenge, which is a 6 leg, 46 mile Charity endurance race. It requires two different types of bikes and a paddleboard or kayak. I had forgotten to call ahead to request a downstairs room and when I arrived I was booked into an upstairs room on an almost booked weekend. The staff went out of there way to make sure I had an easily accessible room downstairs and even offered to send multiple staff members to my room to help me unload everything. This was my first trip to Ashland and now I will never stay anywhere else when visiting.

    5
    « I loved this hotel »

Landscaping was gorgeous - tempted to snip a rose blossom - but I didn't. Breakfast was outstanding in choices and presentation. Friendly staff who actually gave the impression they liked their job! Beds and pillows were comfortable and the bedding was exceptional quality cotton. The only thing I would improve on is the towels; they were showing their age.

« Best Place to Stay in Ashland Oregon »

The Best Western Windsor in Ashland is absolutely charming. The free breakfast is delicious with fresh and well laid out options. The staff is wonderful. And the entire place is lovely! The rooms are clean and well taken care of as well as very comfortable. I highly recommend this Best Western Windsor.

    « Good stay! »

We had a king suite and it was nice. The only complaint that I have is that the bed was awful. It felt like we were sleeping on the springs. Other than that, it was a nice stay. The staff was friendly and gave great dining recommendations. It's only about a 5-10 minute drive into downtown Ashland. Parking was tight in the evening especially when moving vans and tour buses take up to 4 to 5 spaces. We had to park in the restaurant next door to the hotel. The hot breakfast was great. There were many options for a hot meal, which I appreciate.

We only stay at the Best Western when traveling. It is luxury motel at a very reasonable price. The rooms are always clean & large. We can always find a Best Western along the way. The staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help.

« Great staff but location is not great if going to OSF »

The staff were amazing. They were always helpful even at night when parking was scarce. The complimentary breakfasts were great and the room was spacious. But we like to walk through Ashland and location was not good for walking to Ashland. Hotel is situated for travelers from I-5.

« Excellent Place to Stay in Ashland »

This was our 5th day on the road having stayed at non-Best Western hotels which were marginal. Upon arrival, the male receptionist was very professional, provided us with a BW club member goody bag, offered assistance if needed and directed us to our room. Upon entry to our room, we noticed the large size of the room, the cleanliness, and the comfortable looking King bed. I noted the comforter and abundance of pillows as well. The double sinks were in an area separate from the toilet and shower room. The room heater was relatively quiet. The next morning, we REALLY did not want to get out of the comfortable bed. However, once we had, we enjoyed the included breakfast spread. There were many breakfast choices including pancakes, waffles, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal and all kinds of breads. There was nothing we could complain about with this stay and highly recommend this hotel.

« Great Road Trip Stop »

Really great place to spend one quick night sandwiched by lots of driving. Very close to freeway and easy to find, but pretty quiet in rooms. Got there late, but man working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room had everything I needed, and was comfortable. Breakfast was about average for a hotel breakfast, but perfectly fine for what I needed that morning. For the price, overall, it felt like a great bargain. I'd definitely return if I'm driving through again.

    « Surprisingly Large & Modern Room »

We had two nights in Ashland, Oregon and decided to stay at this Best Western which was a couple of miles from the city center. The price was very good, so we didn't expect anything too grand. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very spacious and modern room with super comfortable beds that you might find in a 5 star hotel. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful especially Jennette and Joe. We would not hesitate to stay there again and highly recommended this hotel.

    « Such a pleasant stay. »

We spent one night here on our way back home, and wished we could have stayed longer. It's a lovely hotel, very well maintained, with attractive landscaping on the sizable property. The friendly and efficient desk clerk upgraded us to a suite for being BW platinum members. It was a very comfortable unit, with a large bedroom (a second sink and counter in the bedroom) and separate sitting room, big bathroom, kitchenette, and plenty of seating. Very quiet, even though it is just off the freeway. There's a great exercise room, and a large breakfast room with comfortable seats (and plenty of them). Standard breakfast buffet, nicely presented. We will have to come back and spend more time!

    « Great stay »

I'm a night owl; had to get up earlier than planned and move my car because the parking lot was being resurfaced, but I don't fault the hotel for this-- that's normal construction work. I went for a swim; the pool was refreshing but needed to be cleaned. Otherwise a great stay as I would expect from a hotel chain.

« Good place for a rest stop »

Chose to stop in Ashland overnight on the way from Portland to SanFo. The location was very near the interstate so no time lost. Checkin was fast and the room was spacious even if there were 4 of us. Having the chairs outside the room gave us a bit of a nice view of the mountains (us being on the 2nd floor) so that was a plus. No complaints about the bedding or bathroom. Breakfast was more comprehensive than I expected so that was a plus too. There is a diner practically onsite so you have hearty meals readily at hand (the pie was awesome!!).

    « Super motel »

very friendly staff, clean and comfortable motel, nice pool , good hot breakfast. easy for traveling with a dog - first time we had brought ours into a motel .Room and bed were confortable. easy access from freeway.

    « Friendly and comfortable »

I stayed at this Best Western several years ago during my first trip to Ashland and although it was alright then, things have really improved during the interval. The outside of the buildings appear freshly painted and polished, the parking lots looks resurfaced, the landscape is beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel is nicely located right off the Highway but is only a few minutes by car to all the major attractions of Ashland, including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. All in all, I found it a great value for my money and I wouldn't hesitate to visit there again.

    4
    « Awesome Breakfast »

At first glance this hotel appears to be quite dated, but it's really just more Shakespeare theme. This is Ashland after all! The front desk people were very friendly. Our room was spacious. And holy moly what a breakfast spread... a wide variety of hot and fresh food. There is a gym, we didn't use it but it looked large and is surrounded by windows looking out onto the beautiful scenery. We had our dog with us and they put us in a ground floor room with a lovely landscaped "yard" right outside the door. The only negatives that we experienced were: the heating/cooling unit in our room was pretty noisy, the hot tub was out of order, and our bed was not comfortable (more like a motel-grade bed).

« Perfect for theatre goers »

The BW Windsor is our all-around favorite place to stay while in Ashland for the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The rooms are clean, comfortable and include a refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker. They also include an expansive breakfast buffet, a well equipped workout room, and a pool & Jacuzzi. It's just a short drive into town and the theatres; it's quiet, and reasonably priced - they offer more for less.

    5
    « Great value »

Very helpful and friendly front desk, gave us restaurant maps and recommendations. Quiet room, clean, wonderful full buffet breakfast. Convenient to I-5 and nearby restaurants. Pool looked nice, decent workout area. In-room fridge and adequate living space.

« Unhappy with this hotel! »

Not at all happy with this hotel! We booked the room online in the morning and arrived there late that night. The parking lot to the office was blocked off in addition to over half of the guest parking. This information was not on their website in the morning. When we got to the front desk we were not greeted. Both men at the front desk were extremely rude to us! We asked where to park and were told anywhere we could find a place. We kept telling them that due to the construction in the parking lot there were no available spaces that we could see. We also asked why the construction trucks were taking up multiple spaces per truck and were told "that's just the way it is around here". My husband has a disability and a handicap license plate. Neither of the men offered to get off their chair to assist us. We were not familiar with the parking lot, it was not well lit, and it was 11:00pm! Upon check out the next morning, we were angry at the lack of care by the staff and told this to the lady at the front desk. She stated the front desk wasn't her usual job and she was just filling in. She showed about as much care for her guests as the men did! As a Platinum member of Best Western we stay in numerous hotels and often. We have never been treated so rudely and with such disregard. We will not be returning to this particular hotel!!

    « Average hotel »

Only stayed one night on our way home. 1st, be aware there are 2 Best Westerns in town, so check your reservations for the right one! This one is off the freeway at the south end of town...too far to walk to the shops, etc. downtown. Also, no elevator and no 1st floor rooms available (we had reservations) so had to haul suitcases up wet stairs. The bed was comfy but room was quite noisy. (rooms open to parking lot) I couldn't ever get the coffee maker to work and there was no microwave. The breakfast was larger than expected, but in another building, so be prepared for a short walk.

« Our brief stay was nice »

In town for a brief stay so my daughter could tour SOU. Room was neat, clean and quite. Staff was friendly. Location was convenient, right off of the freeway. Staying again for our next visit in June.

« An Average Best Western »

We generally stay at Best Western Hotels because of the consistently good quality of breakfast, rooms, staff, and reasonable price. We weren't disappointed in Ashland. The staff was as cheerful and helpful as we've come to expect. The room was clean, everything worked and was in good repair. Breakfast was bigger than expected: there was oatmeal(with several toppings), TWO pancake stations, and waffles; biscuits and gravy the first day and a breakfast bake the second day, along with eggs and sausage. All the cereals, yogurts, fruit, juice stations were kept full, and the whole area was clean. As always, the staff was very helpful. The only problem we experienced was that the morning of the second day, neither of our door cards worked. We went to the Fitness Center, but since they didn't work and we'd slept in, there wasn't time to correct this, eat, and get where we were going, so just had breakfast. (Mmm!) They COULD have been demagnetized, but it was odd that it happened to both cards. It was quickly remedied. If I need to stay in Ashland again, I will definitely go back!

    « Great Property »

This property is wonderful. Located right off of I5 and the property is kept-up very well. Very Comfortable and clean. The area has much to do if you are into sports, hiking, boating, Shakespearean plays and the town is very quaint. Great restaurants also.

    4
    « Great Overnight Stay »

The open layout of the hotel along with the exterior design made you feel very cozy. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The atmosphere was the best part of the stay. Between the unique decor and amazing scenery, it was an excellent hotel choice. The breakfast is pretty standard for a hotel. My husband and I also enjoyed the hot tub outside. Overall, a wonderful experience.

    « Will be returning »

We travel between Washington & So Calif several times a year and have stayed in several places in between. This was the first time we stayed in Ashland though. We travel with our dog and we stayed in a spacious room on the ground floor. The decor was a bit dated but who cares??? it was clean and that's the most important thing for us. We appreciate the fridge with small freezer & microwave as we bring a couple of coolers for food and we can store it and re-freeze our cold packs for departure the next day. Staff was very friendly and helpful. When I showered the following AM, it took a long time for the water to get hot and I felt a bit guilty wasting the water. But, it finally came through. Good pressure too. We did not use the pool or complimentary breakfast because we left so early. Our dog got a 'goody' bag upon arrival and the dog-relief areas were clean & convenient with waste bags. Freeway access was a breeze. Overall, this was probably the best place we've stayed in Oregon. Bed was comfortable. We were pleased with our decision to stay there.

    « Awesome Everything »

The man who checked us in was very friendly and efficient. I think he saw my daughter was excited about the pool and placed us in a room close to it. Rooms were clean and cool. It was so nice to come into a room that didn't smell weird and was a comfortable temperature when you walked in. Everything was clean. Looks like the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work. Pool was nice. Plenty of areas to sit and watch the kids. Pool towels were provided and even an area to place used pool towels so you don't have to take them in your room. Area was absolutely beautiful.

« You Will Love Staying Here »

This hotel is clean, efficiently run, and the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The breakfast is amazing with many hot foods and the usual things people like such as yogurt, breads, muffins, cereal, etc. The hotel allows a cat or dog to stay, too.

    5
« Super Friendly, Great Access, Comfortable Stay »

This is the third time we have stayed at this hotel and this time we brought friends. The rooms are spacious, it's easy to get around, they have a nice pool and hot tub, service is outstanding -- all at a reasonable price. Can highly recommend this hotel

    5
    « great highway stop »

Consistently good hotel - very clean, convenient and close to highway, restaurants and gas stations. It is also very pet friendly. Good places to walk pets near by. If staying on lower floors could be a bit noisy if someone has room above. Overall, very good place to stay and accommodating staff. Very good breakfast as well.

    « Great choice! »

This hotel is a great find! We really enjoy best westerns and this is one of the best we have found. Superior customer service and check in was a breeze. When we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised as the room looked to be newly renovated. Breakfast bar was amazing as well! We will be back

« Comfortable hotel just outside of Ashland »

We normally prefer to stay closer into town when we visit Ashland, but we were so comfortable here that we're planning to make this our new Ashland hotel. The front desk staff was so helpful and welcoming, and the rooms were huge and comfortable. Everything feels brand new, and it was a very quiet room, even though we were on the ground floor under a staircase. They have a complimentary hot breakfast, including pancake and waffle makers and eggs. Parking can be a little tight at night, but the staff was very helpful about helping us find a space to put our car.

« Fantastic Hotel at a great rate »

After a long day of driving from Southern California back to Canada we fell exhausted into The Windsor Inn in Ashland. The experience was fantastic from the greeting by front desk staff, and his speedy service getting us a cot for our daughter. The room was very nice (I'm a designer so look with a critical eye), clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the morning was the best I've ever had in a hotel...the egg bake was fantastic, and there were even pancake machines so the kids were thrilled. The service was friendly. Great experience overall, and the rates were fantastic. Will definitely stay again.

« Fantastic stop over after a long frove »

Great room. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Super quiet. Will be part of futur stops on upcoming long travels. Haven't used the facilities but pool/hot tub gym, all looked top notch. Thanks for the great stay.

« ANTS all over the beds and sink, and bathroom. couldn't even brush our teeth! »

The Windsor Inn looked fine to spend a night. Reviews were generally good. However, when we woke up in the morning there were ants all over the place, including our things we had set out by the sink. They were crawling all over the bathroom floor, the sink area where we had set out our things, the beds, and had started getting into our luggage. We had to get them out of our things, & try and get dressed without them getting on us or our clothes, and couldn't even brush our teeth. They were crawling on our feet in the bathroom. The front desk was apologetic, and gave us a $10.00 discount. The owner, Jon, had to authorize a full refund. We felt we should have not been charged at all, but the owner refused to refund our money. When I tried to discuss this with him, he said he was busy and didn't want to talk about it and hung up on me. Never staying there again!

    « Fabulous find »

We were on a road trip back from California and wanted to have a day skiing in Oregon. This hotel had excellent staff, the rooms were spacious and clean. The breakfast was the best we had had in the past two weeks on the road. It wasn't far from I-5 but we did not hear the highway at all. Spend a little more money for a night and get a heap more in service, cleanliness and good quality food.

« Clean, comfortable and great customer service. »

All my requests were honored. Top floor, away from elevators and ice machines, foam pillows...nice. Desk clerk was very polite and helpful. Nice.. Had a 1 bedroom suite and it was way large with a nice wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, dishes etc. very nice. The furniture is dated but in good shape. Should be updated. Bathroom was recently redone and is very nice and functions well. Will definitely stay here again when in the area. Fast, reliable, free internet as well.. Can't comment on the free breakfast as I didn't stay for that.

    5
    « Great rest stop »

I usually drive from San Francisco to Portland in one full drive but this trip I decided to break it up. So I stayed at Windsor Inn and it was a great choice. The sheets and pillows were far more luxurious than I anticipated. All good!

« Charming yet Very Complete facility »

We were very pleased with the comprehensive nature yet very enjoyable and inviting appearance of this facility. Very roomy and inviting office, great staff, great setting for breakfast, restaurant close by, inviting pool facilities, very clean and complete guest rooms.

    « slightly disappointed »

Usually happy here. This time the cupboard door covering the refrigerator was missing, husband found a fair amount of hair in the tub ,but we were too tired to bother with these things. We were checked in an hour early but given one of two rooms that are extremely noisy and have vibrating walls from the laundry and hot water tanks, but lesson learned.Do not stay in room 308 or 309 if you are a light sleeper..Breakfast room had main dining area shut off,so full hotel trying to squeeze into tiny breakfast room.I went in at 8:30,not so late, but food was pretty much gone if the parking lot is full when you go to bed,and you want breakfast,go in when it opens, early.Food quality and selections could be better, standard dry fair, though waffle maker is a nice touch. As a side note, everyone working there is very courteous.

    4
    « Quick stop over »

Rooms are clean, beds are ok, parking lot is safe. Close to I5. The property itself is pretty. Good breakfast- pancakes waffles eggs sausage toast potatoes pastries. Our heater didn't work in the room , since there were no rooms available they offered us a space heater. We would stay here again. Prefer the first floor rooms.

    5
    « last minute booking »

It was getting late and we needed a place to stop. Found this hotel on the internet with a good rate. Booked as we drove into the property. When I walked in to check in the staff person was ready for me. All staff we interacted with were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Easy on and off the freeway access. Would definitely stay again.

    5
« So clean and cozy! »

The room was so clean and cozy and the bed was super comfortable. We took advantage of the outdoor Jacuzzi, which was great. We also made it for the breakfast. There was a wonderful range of foods and juices! Everyone we interacted with at the hotel was friendly and accommodating.

« Lovely views; close to Ashland »

This is a great Best Western--new and in Tudor style to fit with the Shakespeare Festival. It is 2.5 miles from town and not a pleasant walk, however. The bacon and eggs were delicious. The staff had helpful information about play tickets.

    5
    « Excellent Hotel »

I totally recommend this hotel either for an overnight or extended stay. The staff were friendly and attentive. Room was immaculate, as were the grounds. The breakfast was fantastic. Something for everyone. Easy to get to from I-5.

« Excellent breakfast, close to I5, good for layover for any trips. »

We had checked into the BW on Windsor Inn on our way to Disneyland and upon our return as well. The BW is a motel style accommodation that is close to the I5 and is located in a quaint, quiet town on Ashland. The staff there are very friendly and there is a Jacuzzi, pool and laundry facility, as well as free internet and free breakfast. The BW Windsor Inn offered an excellent selection of real sausages, omelets, burritos, hard boiled eggs, an egg skillet, potatoes and hash browns. The selection varies dependent on your stay. There was also an automatic pancake maker (a major plus for my son!!), an waffle maker and a good selection of breads, bagels, cereals, juices and coffees. The rooms had 2 queen size bed and it was a very large room for our family of 5. We stayed on the second floor and my husband loved the vaulted ceiling. It gave us the impression of an even bigger room. It is a smoke free building, but there are designated rooms for pets!! We will definitely consider staying here again upon our next road trip!!

« Happy to stay here! »

I liked this hotel very much, the room was modern and spacious, and there is nothing I like better than a bathroom that looks new! Check-in/checkout was friendly and attentive, only downside was that the outdoor pool is unheated and being 6 degrees C there during spring break made it unusable for us, although they did offer for us to visit the Holiday Inn's indoor pool 5 min walk away. Breakfast room was open to a large conference room with large dining tables so there was no jockeying for tables during the breakfast rush!

    5
    « Road Trip »

Drove 12 hours from San Diego. Arrived at check in time, the staff was efficient and pleasant. Great on room direction, well thought thru maps and itineraries. Rooms were super clean, showers actually washed you, and the beds were super comfy! Will absolutely stay at this hotel again!

    4
    « Fantastic Value »

We have tried just about every hotel in Ashland and this is the BEST! From check in to check out everything...perfect. Their location is on the east side of the 5 freeway, but you're only 1.5 miles from town. The exterior and interior of the entire complex is very clean and looks recently painted and spruced-up. We love the motel aspect, whereas you can drive right up to your room. That said, does not look like they have an elevator for the second story rooms. Our room was an executive king with a Huge living room, full kitchen, and separate king bedroom - wow! A big plus...they actually ARE pet friendly. They charge $20 - not $75 like so many hotels these days. They also have a great workout room and very nice breakfast area. As most Best Westerns, the breakfast was very good. All this and, by far, the best bargain in Ashland!

    5
« Beautiful, Clean and Inviting »

We stayed 2 nights total on our trip to California. We used Ashland as a midway point in our travel to and from. We loved it both times. The Staff were friendly and professional they made sure all of our needs were meet. The Free in room WiFi was fast! The Breakfast was Awesome! So many choices and included in our stay. The decor was great too. A++ We will be returning!

    « One of Ashland's Best Values »

This was probably my 6th or 7th stay at this Best Western and it was a pleasant as all the rest. Very conveniently located off I 5, it is surprisingly quiet. It is also very well located near shopping and a few restaurants; well within walking distance. To me a very good value.

    « Aminity comment »

Rooms were comfortable , clean and well furnished , however a small refrigerator would be useful for overnight storage of food items while traveling and in room ice trays. Also a coffee pot for brewing coffee for individual tastes other than the strong coffee brewed at the breakfast dining room.

    « Charming and a Bargain »

This was such a charming place. The price was excellent for the room. It was a very nice room and very comfortable. Free wifi is available. Next to the hotel is a very nice restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.

« Very Good Place to Stay »

The hotel has easy access on and off of the freeway. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The people at the front desk provided excellent service at check in and check out. There was information at the front desk regarding things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again.

    5
    « Beautiful hotel »

The hotel was beautiful, the architecture was amazing ? if I'm not mistaken, it was a vintage German style. When I first drove in, I thought that there was no way that I could afford a room at the rate that my work was willing to pay. But sure enough, there was a room at the right price and it turned out to be poolside! It was a huge room with all of the bells and whistles, it had a beautiful painting but an older heater and a fresh coat of paint on an otherwise older building. Overall it was an awesome experience, even though I didn't have time to try out the hot tub, fitness center or conference room. The location was great, near the highway, gas stations, restaurants, the college, and Blackstone Audio (nothing like a good audiobook for the trip home).

« Great Place to Stay in Off Season »

If you come to Ashland in the Fall and Winter, this is a very reasonable place to stay. Summer rates are nearly double, and if you are visiting Ashland, you can find cheaper and yet nice hotels in Medford, only a 20-minute drive away. However, having said that, the rooms were clean, nicely decorated, front staff was friendly, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of both hot and cold foods. The location is close to I-5 and there's also a great restaurant for either breakfast or any other meal, right next door to the hotel. The grounds are nicely kept and am assuming they are in full bloom with flowers if you don't go there in February! The Wi-Fi was fairly reliable and it was nice not to have to sign in every day as you do in some hotels.

« Great Place to Stay in Ashland, Oregon »

Room was very large, clean and very well appointed. Stay were great, grounds of the property were very well kept. The self serve breakfast was very good, well organized and has a wide selection of good food, both hot and cold. One of the most comfortable beds I have every slept in!!!

    « Stay here! »

I can't say enough about this hotel. The most exceptional staff in all regards -- cheerful and helpful with our tricky reservations for 4 different rooms, and then the need to have an adjoining room for a separate fifth reservation, all at a time when the hotel was at capacity. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here whenever in Ashland. Tremendous bang for the buck!

    « Windsor Inn »

We stayed at the Windsor Inn for a State High School ski race. It was very affordable, cute, great location. Friendly staff. Even with the hotel filled with teenagers, it was quiet at 10 pm. Great proximity to the freeway. A couple miles from charming downtown Ashland.

    « Very nice!!! »

We enjoyed our stay. Nice location, helpful staff and many things to do in the region--outdoors, theater, and wine tasting. Close enough to a bigger city if your need one, but Ashland caters to small businesses which is awesome!. Clean, comfy bed. Enough towels! We usually have to request more, so that was nice and having HBO was a plus!

« an excellent Best Western »

Planned this stop in Ashland on our way from Vancouver Island to Phoenix. One of 3 Best Westerns we stayed at on our way to Phoenix for March 1. It was also the best of the three. From check in to departure, all was good. Even a welcome package for our dog. Breakfast was above average and the better of the 3 Best Westerns we stayed at. Would highly recommend this hotel

« experience with best western hotel »

I have stayed in Ashland, OR a number of times over the last 8 years. and before this year always stayed at the best western in downtown ashland, with the Shakespear theme. The Windsor Inn was just as good and perhaps more convenient to the highway.

    « Great time! »

From the registration to check-out all employees were very helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and hot served in a spacious environment. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is experiencing the nearby festivals and wineries.

« Always A Great Place To Stay »

We've always been very pleased with the accomodations at all Best Western we've stayed in. The staff has always been efficient and friendly. We've never had a bad stay. Whenever we travel I always plan ahead and search for a Best Western on our route.

    « Very nice facilities »

This is a very large hotel that is on the outskirts of Ashland. Beautiful rooms that seem like they must have recently been updated. Very very clean. Lovely goose down duvets. Very clean. They only have an outdoor pool that we weren't able to take advantage of because of the time of year, but the hot tub was open. We visited on the weekend and the breakfast room was a mad house. No fault of the staff, but tables were dirty, and eggs and bacon were out when we were there. They did have a pancake maker which was very nice with strawberries to put on top. Other than the bacon and egg issue they had a nice selection of food. Just not a big enough space for the number of people going through there on the weekend.

Beautiful hotel with fantastic staff. Rooms very well appointed and comfortable. Attention to detail in decor and service was superb. « Great value for the money. »

Very clean and reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows and nice linens. The room was very clean and well kept with a little Keurig and a mini fridge. There is no microwave, but everything else was perfect. There is a nice complimentary breakfast served in the morning with the hours extended until 10am. We will definitely be staying here again.

« Great hotel for people and pets »

Always a warm welcome and special treats for our little, old dog. There is plenty of lawn in the "doggie area" and pick up bags are provided, which is a nice touch. Above all, the beds are extremely comfortable, the shower water is hot, the coffee is great and they have half and half!

    « Nice comfy stay »

Stayed here for business stop for 2 nights and it did not disappoint with high ceiling and great shower and amenities. Pay a little more than you would at Super 8 and you get a lot more. I did not like the noisy wall heater though but is inherent with these models. staff made extra breakfast when ran out which I much appreciated. Will be back next time in area. Ashland is so nice and the people here are too!

    « A Very Nice Best Western »

Have stayed here twice in a span of two weeks. Once with my wife where we had a room with a king bed and then with my brother in law in another room with two queen beds. The linen on the bed is of superior quality and feels more like a four or five star facilty. The bedsheets and duvet are soft and there are ample pillows. The room itself is a nice size and the bathroom has a nice finish. The complimentary breakfast has more chouces than the standard one you see at most hotels of a similar grade. This is definitely a very nice place to stay in Ashland and is conveniently located off the freeway

« Best pet hotel ever »

They were very nice about pets. They gave a cover for the bed if the dog sleeps on it. My dog doesn't ever get on the furniture, but it shows they care about pet owners. They did not charge extra for the dog. Breakfast was very good. good food choices close to the hotel.

    « 4 nights in Ashland »

The motel was conveniently located and quiet. The check in process was very quick, accurate, and friendly. The room was as described, very nice, and clean. It had a mini refrigerator, but did not have a microwave which can be helpful. The hot tub was hot, clean, and serviced daily. The complimentary breakfast was above average with heated entrees that changed daily. There was a local entertainment chalkboard in the lobby with great tips, however, I did not discovered this until the last day.

« Trip down to Turlock »

We found the Best Western Windsor Inn to be one of the very nicest we have stayed in a the price was great! The facility is conveniently located off of I-5 and is close to restaurants and gas stations. We were just a little bummed that the hotel only has an outdoor pool and spa, this would of been the icing on the cake if it had been indoors.

    5
« Passing through Ashland on our way to LA »

Location is very convenient, right off I-5, but we didn't experience any highway noise. Gas station right next door to accommodate a quick exit back to the freeway. Everything was great from check-in to check-out. Room was spotless, quiet and felt very secure. The buildings are nicely Shakespearean in design. Downtown Ashland is a relatively short drive away. And of course, the Morning Glory for breakfast.

    « Weekend in Ashland »

The Windsor inn is a beautiful property, with nice amenities. It's clean, well kept, has a friendly staff & the rooms are very spacious. We experienced a very loud heater in our room, which we eventually had to turn off, in order to get to sleep. Other than that, it was good experience.

« Thank you for a Fantastic Stay »

I relocated from central California to Ashland Oregon and needed a last minute stay one-night stay at a pet friendly hotel. This locations was professionaly, courteous, accurate, and provided all the information necessary to secure a room over the phone while in route on the I5. When I checked in and out, the service was consistent and beyhond my family's expecations.

« Great price for comfort and nice amenities »

We were very surprised when we were told the price of the room and then all the amenities that were included! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Ashland, OR area. The staff was super friendly and helped us with directions and toiletries that we had left at home.

Checked in by a very helpful staff. Answered all questions and made several suggestions for dinner. The room was well appointed and spacious. The morning breakfast was very good and the dining area was very spacious.

    « Great stay »

This Best Western is a beautiful hotel. It looks nice from the outside and our room was great on the inside. The outdoor pool and hotub looked inviting and we could hardly wait to jump in. The hotub was lukewarm and the pool was ice cold. Found out in the morning they were having issues with the pool and apparently were working on it. The very pleasant front desk clerk forgot to tell me that. :) The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was the nicest I've seen. This is the first time I've seen a "make your own pancake". They had an egg bake, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, and much more to choose from. I liked that the apples were wrapped separately so that other people's hands hadn't handled the one I chose to eat. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!

    « Great stay »

Everything was great. The room was clean, quiet . The breakfast was great many choses. Check in was fast and the staff very friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to my friends. It was wonderful to be able to bring my little dog. The frig came in very handy. Thanks

    « Warm & Cozy »

This place is located at the bottom of Mt Ashland in this small little town of Ashland Oregon. The Motel has a Swiss Chalet design and is very warm and cozy in the rooms with feather tick comforter on the beds to keep you warm on those cold chilly nights. Lots of restaurants close by most within walking distance if you like.

« Ashland, OR-Stay after Holidays with family »

One of the nicest, if not the best Best Western we have stayed at. Upon arriving we were greeted by the most pleasant, helpful desk person. Her name was Jesse. She not only presented us with a bag of goodies, but recommended a nice steak restaurant, gave us maps to the city, etc. The room was very nicely decorated, with upgrade amenities, including a Kruger coffee machine and nice toiletries. The bed was very comfortable and bath towels were plush. The breakfast was quite extensive and the eating area was large and comfortable.

    « Enjoyed our stay »

Great hotel in Ashland. Beautiful in the snow. We got a room with king bed and jacuzzi tub. Very relaxing! Great room. Big free breakfast, but not great quality food, kind of disappointing. Overall great experience otherwise.

    « Accomodating hotel »

This hotel has clean, quiet rooms with a breakfast menu that accommodates those with dietary restrictions, such as gluten or dairy allergies. Although we had guests in the adjacent rooms, we did not hear them after they got to their rooms.

« Best Western Windsor Inn, Ashland Oregon »

This is one of the nicest motels we have stayed at. Extremely good value for the cost. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast room was large, looked like a banquet room and there were many breakfast choices.Overall very good value for the cost.

« Great place to spend the night »

We are a family of four passing through from Washington to California. The hotel was perfect -- great price, comfortable beds. The room was very clean, the checkin was quick and easy. Will definitely stay there again!

« Clean, Quite and Friendly Staff! »

I checked in 30 minutes early and my room was not quite ready yet. The Girl at the Desk 12/31 at 230pm had 3 other guest waiting as well. She was friendly, helpful and checked everyone in as rooms became available. The Room 111 was Large, Comfortable and very clean!!! I would recommend this location to anyone traveling thru the Medford/Ashland area. It was at a great price and included a hot Breakfast in the Morning. When I went to Check out the Gentleman working the desk was helpful, kind and pleasant. Great job BW what a good way to start the new year!!!

Great location just off the freeway. Very helpful staff. Arrived at 11 pm after having been on the road for 12+ hours. Were checked in our pet-friendly room within 15 minutes. Nice hearty breakfast the next day - kids loved the self-made waffles and pancakes. Great value for money.

    « Clean, convenient, family-friendly hotel »

My family and I stayed at the Best Western Windsor Inn on a snowy, rainy night during a holiday road trip. Every aspect of our stay was excellent. After a long, somewhat stressful winter drive, it was refreshing to be greeted by the kind and helpful front desk staff. Our room was spacious, modern and very clean. Internet was provided and strong connection, which was another plus for catching up on work. In addition, a hearty breakfast with options for DIY waffles and eggs and meats was provided. I thought the quality of the food could have been a bit better, but still it was nice to start the day off with a warm meal and coffee. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely book it again the next time we drive north to Pacific Northwest.

    « Can't go wrong! »

Unless you're looking for a true Bed and Breakfast or boutique hotel, look no further. You can't beat the nightly rate and value for the size of the room, clean facility, and free breakfast... it's the best best western we've stayed at (for the sake of data: we've been to at least 10 different best westerns across the east and west coast).

    5
« Inviting place to stay »

    « Old style »

Booked a room on first floor, for those of you who have pets first floor is reserved for people with pets, we stayed on first floor so we could unload the car, room was clean, rug old, bathroom old. This Inn has the doors that face the parking lot some don't especially like this for safety reasons. The breakfast was poor, toast old, cereal stale and coffee bad, eggs terrible....could use some attention. Wouldn't be my choice for a second stay.

    5
    « Nice place »

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and both times it measured up to a great stay. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable, the staff was friendly and access to the freeway was easy. Due to my travel for work I stay a many Best Western hotels, and one of the things I use as a tool to come to a positive review is the type of breakfast items that are served. I will say that we were well please with the breakfast. The only thing that I would say as a negative, and it is served at most hotels, not just at Best Western, is the type of bacon that is served or should I say bacon flavored paper. Other than this small issue I have will most hotels, it will not stop me from staying here again!

« Ashland Best Western Windsor Inn »

    « Visiting Ashland »

The facility was very quiet and clean. Very central to activities in town but far out enough to avoid heavy foot traffic passing by. We did miss not having a microwave in the room. There are a lot of flowers and plants around the building so I wouldld love to go back in the spring when all the flowers are bloming.

« Affordable, Clean, Easy Access and Pet Friendly »

This was our first time staying at this Best Western and we will go back and stay there again. The hotel is very easily accessible from Interstate 5. Also pet friendly, the pet rooms are on the first floor with exterior access. Most important, there is a lot of grass area to take your pet to which really helps when it is dark out. The breakfast was tasty, served in a large dining room. The room was clean and spacious and the beds comfortable.

« Nice, clean, and comfortable hotel with great staff »

« Great Friendly People, Clean Rooms »

Ok so it wasn't quite as nice as the pictures on-line make it look but it was a good hotel. Staff was fantastic at the front desk. Food was good at breakfast and of good quality. Rooms were clean and cleaning service did a good job with daily up keep. I would definitely stay here again. Its located in an easy to reach location of the highway. No real complaints at all from me other than stay away from the treadmill in the gym. It was acting up when I was there.

« Great room, great breakfast »

Traveling as a chaperone for a school team, we arrived after midnight on the way home from California. We did nit know how far we would be able to drive so called about 4 hours before arrival asking for 8 rooms. Check in was fairly painless as the keys were ready for the group. The rooms were large and the bedding was comfortable. The sink area accommodate the 2 adults with plenty of room. They did have a lot of pillows of all sizes on the bed. It was a restful night. We had to get an early start the next morning so were up and out by 8am. The breakfast room was large and the breakfast items offered were extensive, including cereals, oatmeal, yogurts, pastries, etc. Plenty of coffee and other beverages got the group going on time. The hotel was clean. Plenty of parking was available.

Calif. to Seattle Trip : excellent overnight stay. Staff at check in and at checkout were great. Friendly and professional. Helped steer us to restaurants for dinner and sights to see. Breakfast was excellent with tons of food. Room was very clean, neat and comfy. Bed was excellent.

    « Clean & Comfy »

This was one of the better Best Westerns I've been to. My fiancee and I spent one night with two teenage boys in affordable, adjoining rooms. The beds were a tad squishy for me but I tend to like a harder mattress. The staff was friendly. The breakfast buffet was decent. I don't recall the surrounding area/neighborhood to be very interesting, but that's not why we stayed here. Overall, I appreciated the stay and was glad there were no surprises and nothing to complain about.

    « Great Value »

I checked in VERY late and they were very quick and friendly on check-in. I paid $81+pet fee. I got two bottled waters (VIP), a dog blanket with treats, and free breakfast. The room was clean (although dated) and large with comfy bed and lots of pillows. It had easy access to a safe dog "area". And, they provided pooper bags. I would definitely stay here again. The only down side is that the parking fills up. But, I made up my own space for the night and moved my car in the morning. It's a quick stay. But, I'm quite rested and pleased with my choice.

« Great place to stay »

We have stayed here in the past and have enjoyed it. Needed a much deserved mini vacation so we decided to come to Ashland. The food was good, bed was comfy and no traffic noises. Fall time is the most beautiful time to visit. Scenery was so beautiful with all the fall colors.

« Excellent bed + 1st. rate full breakfast! Pet Friendly. »

Very comfortable bed for person with back pain. Lots of pillows. Updated, nicely furnished, all the extras. Welcomed my little dog with his own 'goodie bag' of his own blanket, so keep the WHITE bedding clean!!: treats, bottled water etc. $20. extra for him. Breakfast was wonderful, 3 kinds of eggs with a 'scramble' of egg, potatoes, veg, cheese that was delicious! Close to I-5. Very quiet. They said the hot tub was open but it was cold + windy so didn't try it. Very welcoming desk staff after I'd been RUDELY turned away from the Super 8 nearby. Driving 12 hours, it was nice to be treated well! Excellent + well priced dinner at attached restaurant, fresh veg + good quality meat.

« An ok place to stay »

The room was spacious, the beds were old and uncomfortable, the carpet was dirty and needed cleaning. THE front desk clerk needed a refresher in customer service skills. The morning breakfast was absolutely one of the worst ever. We stayed for 3 days and it was terrible each morning, so we chose to eat breakfast elsewhere. We would not choose this hotel again for the reasons stated above.

    3
« An ok place to stay in ashland »

Pretty basic, but clean and comfortable enough with friendly people. The rooms have exterior entries, and there are no elevators, so one Has to climb the stairs lugging the suitcase. The bar allowed smoking in the outdoor "terrace," actually just a fenced off spot in the parking lot, which was bad.

We had been driving for 12 hours and had stopped at a Best Western in Redding Ca.and picked up one of the Hotel Guides and decided where we wanted to stay while we had Dinner. We called the Hotel and arranged for a room for the night and proceeded to drive through a dark night that included both Fog and Rain, we were very happy to be able to easily arrange for a room and were very happy when we finally arrived! Great Place, great help, we now have our sole source of Hotel!

« Windsor Inn, Ashland, OR »

Nice place, comfy beds, big firm pillows in addition to standard ones make sitting in bed more comfortable, better than average breakfast, close to town without being on top of crowds. Quiet at night even though fairly close to freeway. Great dining about 3 blocks away: Caldera Pub and Brewery.

« Stay at the Windsor »

A most satisfying experience. Was delighted that a jacuzzi was in the room; everything extremely clean, comfortable, cozy; colors and decor lovely; and, loved the sink and its delightful hardware. And all for a moderate price. And the breakfast offerings were plentiful, varied, and delicious, set in a pleasant atmosphere. Thank you!

« Fantastic stay in Ashland »

Wonderful large 1 bedroom with kitchenette made my stay a home away from home. The room was spacious- like a 1 bedroom apartment. It has a very comfortable bed, large bath area, plenty of closet space and a huge kitchen-living area. Extremely comfortable bed and easy access to everything!

    « Fun Tudor Theme »

The Best Western Windsor Inn is a good choice for a hotel close to Ashland. It is right off I-5, so if you wish to go to downtown, you'll have to drive from here. The Elizabethan-Tudor theme is a fun touch and they do have a shuttle to the Festival during peak season. We stayed two nights over Halloween weekend, and they had us sign a "no party" pledge which we appreciated as we don't want to be disturbed by loud partying when we're travelling. The staff accommodated my request for a quiet, upper floor room, which I asked for prior to our stay. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good, and they open up the banquet room so there is no crowding or waiting for a table. Only downside was the worn carpets. Otherwise, a clean and nicely-run hotel. We appreciated the water and granola bars they gave us when we showed our Best Western Rewards card. (Those treats came in handy on our hike around Mt. Shasta the next day!) I would stay at the Best Western Windsor Inn again.

« Lovely hotel, wonderful staff »

My fiancé and I had a great, one-night stay at this hotel in November. The staff at both check in and check out (two different people) were both wonderful. There were fresh cookies at check in, and for joining the rewards program we also got a couple waters and granola bars (nice touch). The room was clean and large. Free breakfast was as good as you could expect, plus lots of options. The only downside of our stay was noise from the room above (footsteps).

    5
    « great lodging option! »

If you need a great motel in the Ashland area.. Look no more, this place is very nice, very reasonable, with a great staff. They had a van that took our group to the theatre and were very prompt about everything. The staff was very friendly and couldn't seem to do enough to make us feel welcome.

    5
« Great place to stay in a popular location »

We stayed at this Best Western on Halloween evening. The room was immaculate. I asked if the hotel was brand new but it has been there 5 years. I do not know how it could look as pristine as it does with being located in a damp climate! The breakfast is amazing and included in the price. This is not one of those pitiful motel breakfasts but one where you can have everything. Because it was Halloween and the downtown area was swamped we were directed to eat dinner at a casual pub, Caldera, right down the street. We had excellent salads and pizza in a new ,hip environment with a super nice wait staff. This hotel is across hi way 5 from the downtown center but it is also a very good deal compared to staying in town which is 5 min. away.

    5
    « Excellent value/quality »

We were heading to a conference in Eugene, Oregon but wanted to stop & were able to get one of the last rooms actually with our Best Western Rewards system.....it was such a bonus..being pet friendly and cozy warm. The breakfast & its variety of delicious items were just superb. All the staff we encountered were 5 STAR!

    « Windsor Inn - Ashland »

Helpful staff, comfortable, clean rooms. Location is outside of the central area where most of the entertainment and restaurants are located. So, Unless you enjoy long walks this could be a good place to stay or, if you have a car all the better and the location isn't an issue.

    4
« Nice option for exploring Ashland »

Very friendly staff at check-in, overall pleasant hotel in a convenient location from which to explore Ashland/surrounding area. Only complaints are that the Wi-Fi connection was consistently weak (but appreciate that it was free); the breakfast (again, appreciate that it was complementary) was an afterthought (why bother serving eggs at all if you're using those gross, salty reconstituted egg 'product'?); and the a.c. in the room was also pretty weak, but overall would stay here again if I got a good rate!

    4
    « Need klenex »

I've never stayed at a hotel that didn't provide a box of Kleenex. It was kind of a hassle not having one. We had to run to the store to buy a box. They don't provide one. Also, the guy equipment is very old.

    5
    « It was a pleasure »

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Windsor. We were in Ashland only for the night, but it was nice to find a hotel that was comfortable from check-in to check-out. The staff, especially Joe, was helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The heating/cooling unit was quieter than many we have had. We would definitely stay there again.

« WARNING: DO NOT STAY HERE »

I have stayed at other Best Westerns but this one takes the cake - the worst by far! I don't know why I've stayed here twice. I'm retired and came here with my lovely wife for the Shakespeare Festival expecting a relaxing stay and oh boy was I wrong. I suppose it is my fault for not reading some of the other reviews but I won't make that mistake again. To start with there was only one person on duty at the front desk and the office was so busy I had a 15 minute wait just to ask a question about the "complimentary" shuttle. Then it turned out the shuttle wasn't even running! So much for a convenient trip to downtown Ashland, I had to pay for a taxi instead. Oh and it didn't help at all when I came back later and found myself in the midst of a young short haired woman harshly criticizing another employee - in front of other customers while the phone was ringing. It was baffling and completely unprofessional. The walls in the room itself seemed quite thin and I could hear my neighbors talking, and that was NOT relaxing. The outdoor corridors are very dark at night, and even darker when they don't replace the light bulbs! I stayed here last year and reported this issue to the front desk and was thanked for "letting us know". I came back again this year and THE SAME bulbs are out. Coincidence? I think not. The carpet on the stairs is ripped, and I nearly fell when my heel nicked the frayed edge. This visit was an absolute disaster. Learn from my mistake and stay across the street at the Ashland Hills on your next trip to Ashland. It really is a beautiful town but this Best Western seemed to be about 30 years past its prime and its owners need to wake up and pay attention - obviously management is dropping the ball!

    4
« Some bad, mostly good »

The hotel is just off the highway which makes access to and from downtown easy. Several wineries were close so exploring the area was also easy. The room was spacious, the bed and pillows comfortable and the grounds very nice. There was good variety offered in the breakfast and the girls working there kept everything well supplied. All staff members were very pleasant but there was only once person in the front office at any one time. This made for a long wait while checking in, asking for assistance or questions asked by calling. It also make it appear this position was understaffed and set a poor tone initially. Although advertised in the lobby and in the rooms, the shuttle offered to downtown is not available after October 1st and parking can be quite difficult while the play season is still on. There is not an elevator to the second floor rooms but first floor rooms are easily accessed with no steps or obstacles.

« Friendly Service and Comfy Cozy Room »

My stay at the Best Western was great! I loved that they had a Keurig in the room for coffee but I ended up actually having breakfast in the hotel. For a complimentary meal, it was awesome! Great variety and good food! Most of all the bed was extremely comfortable. Loved it!!

    4
    « Beautiful Grounds »

An very large and extensive setting! Lots of buildings, parking spaces, resort like atmosphere. The room carpet needs to be replaced, very stained, and worn. Probably could use a regular shampooing. Wifi went in and out on me, a bit frustrating. But on the plus side, staff were super! The front desk people, Jonathan and Cloe, to the breakfast room attendants couldn't be more helpful to me!

    2
    « STINKY ROOM »

Checked in but did not go to room until after 11pm. When I did get into the room it had a damp musty smell that I attributed to the AC being left on at 68 degrees. Turned off the unit and want to sleep until 3am when I noticed how bad the entire room smelled and had to go outside. It was then I notice how truly rank the room smelled. I packed my bags and went down and requested a room change which I was later given. While I still had the room key I had others I was traveling with stop by the room to make sure it was not just me and when they opened the door they immediately gaged from the smell. I guess housekeeping does not give the rooms the "sniff test" after cleaning.

    5
« Great place for playgoers »

Location is very good, especially for anyone attending the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. It's located just a short drive into town past the college, restaurants and specialty shops. Also, there is an excellent family style restaurant/bar steps away.

    « Clean & Quiet »

Great place to stop if you are traveling north on Highway 5. Easy off the highway, quiet and very clean. Nicely appointed rooms, comfortable bed, friendly staff and good free breakfast. Only two floors with no elevator, ice machines not clearly marked on the map, but nicely laid out design.

    « It's a room »

The "Inn" is actually a mid-century style motel and large - 100+ rooms that open to the outdoors and depending on location on the 2nd level, quite a walk hauling luggage. The room had a slightly musty smell which disappeared after turning on the wall a/c. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable, breakfast was included in the room rate and was standard fare. A bit of a drive out of town but easy access to the freeway. For Ashland, the price was reasonable.

Very disappointed with our stay at the windsor inn. Booking the room was a struggle. We booked the room online because the hotel would not match the online rate for a Tuesday night. We were also told that we could not move the date of the reservation because it had been "prepaid".Upon arrival a nice young lady checked us in. During the check in another young girl interrupted her to tell her what she was doing wrong. VERY uncomfortable. I was shocked to discover this girl was the manager. The poor girl was almost brought to tears. I came in later that evening expecting coffee or tea in the lobby and the front desk girl had a line of folks and multiple phone calls. The manager was quick to point out the girls mistakes earlier, but failed to schedule back up on a busy evening. Lets get to the room- We were placed in a nice section of the hotel in a handicapped room. We had horrible trouble figuring out the heating unit and were told we could not move to another room because the hotel only built two handicapped rooms. TWO. The beds were clean and comfortable but there were multiple stains on the carpeting. We slept in a hot room all night. We will not be returning after this trip. I would strongly recommend other bookers to stay at Super 8. Better rooms, adequately staffed and a lower price

« Very nice and easy access »

The hotel was away from the action, but it was close to main roads and access to where we wanted to be at the Shakespeare festival and it was very quite. The rooms were clean, the staff very helpful. Breakfast was good, just ran out of things at the end of the breakfast hour.

« Good value for comfortable accommodations »

I encountered attentive and friendly staff throughout my stay. Room was comfortable, but somewhat spartan. Air conditioner was noisy and temperature was inconsistent. Cooked breakfast items were served at lukewarm temperature. Fresh fruit was lacking except for plastic wrapped apples. Well maintained pool, spa, and fitness center.

« Wonderful service and location »

Friendly staff, hot breakfast, cool pool, and a large property- what more could you ask for?! The view from the hotel was great, and it's centrally located for ease of access. I stayed here as part of a work trip and would love to come back on personal time.

Other than no shuttle to Shakespearean Festival as noted was available @ time of reservation & parking less than desirable, this facility was comfortable and met our needs. We would stay here again due to it's proximity to easy freeway access & amenities of community.

    « # 1 »

Over the last forty years, we have stayed at a variety of hotels and B&B's while visiting Ashland and the Festival. We discovered Best Western Windsor Inn in 2014 while traveling with our grandchildren. Since that first visit, we've stayed four more times! Everything about this property is excellent--from the Front Desk to Housekeeping. The rooms are lovely and the beds are comfortable. This is our go-to #1 choice.

« Still the Best Value in Ashland »

We first started staying here in Mar 2014. We've been here now a total of five stays. We just keep coming back because it's just that good. Easy access to the freeway, fuel, restaurants, and a brewery. Amazingly quiet for being so close to the freeway. They offer a great full breakfast. The seating area is huge so you can eat a leisurely meal and enjoy their wonderfully improved coffee (thank you!!). The breakfast staff is attentive and hard working. We never feel the need to eat elsewhere for breakfast which saves us twenty dollars or more each day we stay. Looking forward to our next stay.

« When you just need a nice comfortable room »

We were just making Ashland an overnight stay on a road trip. We chose the Windsor because it was a Best Western property and we have had consistent good luck with them. This was no exception. Comfortable, quiet room with a very good bed. But what made our stay memorable was the friendliness of the staff - really nice folks. And the attached restaurant was pretty good too.
