Je m’inscris Our stay at this location was an overnight while traveling long distance. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. It was quiet. The A/C worked well and was also quiet. It appears that there are a good number of longer term contractors there but the location is well kept. The beds were comfortable. With breakfast included with the room it is an excellent value. Brittany was working the breakfast in the morning and was exceptional with both service and friendliness. We would definitely stay at this location again.
Rob was very helpful and helped me with the tax except form for official travel. The room was clean and the parking was safe and easy. Would recommend for the budget hotels compared to the other options. Great rate while being clean and safe to stay at.
Brittany was amazing at breakfast, the food was hot and fresh. Amanda was very polite and helpful. The room was clean and the pool was great.....................................................................................
Brittany amd Tiara the breakfast was very clean and food was hot. Mrs Brittany took care of everything and was very nice to chat with...rooms are very clean..ceiling fans are a plus to circulate air in the room...the only gripe is that the toilet paper is in the wall on the ground..and the water could use an upgrade
Great stay, friendly and helpful staff! We arrived late, but were still greeted and taken care of quickly. Breakfast was nice and offered plenty of options before we got back on the road. Nice, easy stay that we would stop at again and enjoy anytime!
The best western in west Monroe is a nice motel, check in at the front desk with Amanda is always fast and courteous, always smiling and in a good mood. Tiara on mids is also very nice and professional. Brittany at the breakfast bar is always keeping the food full and keeping everything clean. The rooms are always clean, the cleaning ladies do a fantastic job. Thanks to all for your kind and hard work!!
Amanda at the front desk was kind, friendly, and willing to fulfill our needs. The rooms were clean and had all the amenities anyone would need for an overnight stay. I would recommend this place and would definitely stay here in future travels.
We stayed here to just get out of the house away from the adult kids still living at home for our anniversary. The jetted tub in the room was the decision maker to stay as well as the nice outdoor pool. Staff was VERY nice and professional. Would gladly stay here again.
Great place to stay! Staff is courteous, professional and the rooms are top notch! close to a lot of restaurants within walking distance. If you are looking for somewhere to spend the night, day, or week it would be hard to beat this hotel! A++
I went for a getaway tiara the front desk clerk was very polite and I was in my room of preference with no problems and Holly the housekeeper was very helpful and kind had a great stay I stayed in the jacuzzi room highly recommend. Stay was great thank you
I go there twice a year I really enjoy the pool area the pool reminds me of the pool of shalom healing waters and the rooms are very clean holly is an excellent housekeeper . Very personal able and pleasant people. Very accommodating to every need
The room was very clean and the bathroom appeared to have recently been renovated and also very clean- The room was very quiet and dark, which are both so important when someone needs rest after traveling with more travel to come the next day. The location was great, too, with several restaurants in walking distance
Worried with the location, after arrival. Thought it would be busy and noisy, but pleasantly surprised. Quiet, comfortable room, with comfortable beds and clean room. Price was much less than some other hotels in the area as well. Breakfast is the standard hotel fare, but everything seemed fresh and clean as well.
This 5 star review is solely for Brittany who worked in the breakfast room. She was amazing and so kind. The area was clean and well stocked. Brittany was also very personable and my roller derby team thoroughly enjoyed her company during our stay.
Nice stay - RENITA was beyond helpful and her customer service skills are top notch! She greets everyone immediately too, which is rare these days when entering places of business. Then at breakfast, BRITTANY was so helpful in helping me gather breakfast for my elderly family members.
Excellent polite customer service. The rooms are clean. It is run down- most was easy to overlook, except the beds & bedding. As long as the beds are crisp and fresh - I'm good, but that was the most run down part. Clean, but Worn, pilly, see through sheets and sagging creeking bed. The staff was great- I wanted to love this place, but I'm a bit to squeamish. The pool area is nice. The breakfast is basic - but the waffles are good & the lady overseeing it was lovely.
Check in and out was very easy. Lobby very clean. Room was super clean and smelled great. WiFi was excellent. Small and cramped bathroom, great water pressure and plenty of hot water, great showerhead We were in a suite. AC unit was under the front window. Cool air had a hard time making it to the bedroom. There was a ceiling fan above the bed which did not help much to cool the room. We were expecting a spectacular breakfast based on TripAdvisor reviews. It was a typical hot/cold breakfast. Unfortunately, no biscuits. Lady over the breakfast area was very nice. Excessive number of cars stayed parked under the canopy entrance to the lobby. Not good for guests checking in especially if raining. No handicap parking on the lobby side of hotel. Hotel is close to major restaurants which is a plus. Overall, a good price for the room and a pleasant stay.
Brittany in the kitchen was very courteous and helpful. The food was presented in a very professional and appetizing variety. The food was hot and she made sure everything was well stocked. She was very kind and professional as well. She is a good reason I will be returning.
The rooms are relatively recently remodeled and very clean. Staff was super helpful, often going out of their way for customer service. Would definitely stay again when in the area.
I absolutely love the best western hotel in West Monroe, Louisiana. I choose this hotel over any five star hotel any hotel in Monroe or West Monroe, Louisiana. The employees are amazing. Dana is amazing. She goes above and beyond to accommodate everyone your stay here will be way more than you expected. It's amazing, also it's a very quiet calm laid-back environment. All I have to say is try it for yourself.
Enjoy the stay showers was very pleasant and my experience with the house keeps was nice especially holly she is awesome. And Daneisha was also the boom!.. I have always stayed with best western and with this experience I'll continue to. Breakfast was also delicious
Very kind manager. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Facility was close to where I needed to be. I enjoy each and every Best Western I stay at! Keep up the great work and the remodeling in some are the best renovations to date!!!
The hotel and room was pleasant, area has plenty of amenities around it. Many good restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away. The Friday breakfast, hosted by Brittany was great and she was very helpful and had everything I needed available.
Clean and comfortable rooms and staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast times were perfect and breakfast was good. Great location in proximity to the Ike Hamilton convention center and anything else that I needed to take care of. The property was clean and pool looked good just to cold to swim.
Brittany, the lady who prepares breakfast is GREAT! She is always upbeat, positive, efficient, and very friendly. She maintains a (very) clean breakfast area and is always on time, with everything stocked well. She even let me "sneak in" to breakfast a few minutes early so that I could get my coffee. (please don't tell anyone that).
We got our booking through the stay to save event prime and best Western Did Not honor our discount. We had to pay 40dollars more. They said they.ll be refunding the 40 on Monday but we.ll see. The beds n pillows were clean but lumpy. Bathroom tiny. But the breakfast was good, same with coffee in lobby. Guests were mindful. It felt safe. So overall I'd say an average experience for the price
Anjina was super nice. Greeted us upon entering and check-in was fast. Room was clean, bed was firm(prefer soft) but it was really quiet and comfortable. Plenty of water pressure for taking a shower. Couch was nice to sit in, to relax before bedtime. I'll stay again.
This was the nicest Best Western hotel on our Southern Loop driving tour! Great breakfast, Brittany! You were so friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was so convenient for us to visit Duck Commando headquarters. Close to restaurants and Restoration Park which offered us a nice Sunday afternoon walk.
Oh my gosh I was blown away when I saw their breakfast! It was the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel in my entire life. Everything was clean and the hot tub room is my favorite, I fall asleep in there everytime. Super nice
The place is clean. It was comfortable and nice to be in. The service is up to the point. The location is perfect. Restaurants nearby to grab some grub. The clerk Angine was very polite and cheerful. Would very much recommend this place if you are staying in this area!
Brittany did great with breakfast and was very friendly. Foid was fesh and delicious. Staff was very nice. The room was extremely clean. Will definitely recommend this hotel and stay again. I would definitely stay again...................
Enjoyed our stay the rooms were very clean. The staff members were absolutely amazing, super nice and helpful. Great customer service. Felt like home sooo cozy Although; Breakfast ends too early. Strong internet/ Wifi . location convenient / was great and area is nice
Stay was amazing, Brittany and Shelia was very helpful with breakfast. It was fresh and delicious. The rooms were clean. We are definitely coming back to stay our next trip. The hotel was close and affordable. The room and the staff was a very positive experience.
Always a friendly staff ,Amanda at the front desk is super friendly and always ready to help and answer questions.Shelia who works the breakfast bar is always available and smiling, you really can't go wrong with a stay @ the best western west Monroe
The rooms are very clean and spacious. My housekeeper Jaime was super sweet. The breakfast was delicious. My bed and pillows were some of the comfiest I've experienced at any hotel. Thank you guys for making me feel at home. I would suggest anyone stay here.
Had a great stay. Jayme was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in that area. Will be going back. Breakfast was good!! Lots of options. The rooms are very clean and neat. The location was good. Right next to gas station
Sheila and Brittany did great with breakfast. Tiara was very nice at the desk. The hotel was great. I heard of a few hotels I'm the area, but I chose this one because of the reviews, and compliments from people I've known to stay there. Nice staff.
The food is solid for what it is. It's the service and care that is provided by Ms. Sheila that makes it worthwhile. You can tell everything is prepared with care. She is very attentive about keeping the food fresh and seeing to any concern you may have.
Breakfast was the only good thing. The beds are the hardest most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on. Got 2 hrs of total sleep at night. I am glad I only booked a few nights so I went and got another hotel to be able to get some decent sleep. The shower you need to be 4' tall to take a shower. The water is disgusting coming from the faucets nasty color and unpleasant odor.
Stayed one night as we were passing through. It's old but they try hard . Bathroom is the smallest I have ever seen so be aware. It's relatively quiet for being semi crowded. Small parking lot. Beds were comfortable. Small tv in the room. Love seat belonged in the trash! It had all kinds of spots and stains. The only reason for 2 stars and not one was the people. Both the lady who checked us in and the morning breakfast lady were very friendly. Make a few upgrades and I'll think about returning just for a night.
Need to upgrade their linen front staff needs to be more attentive, just overall the property needs some TLC upgrade the breakfast most certainly upgrade the linen in the rooms. Those bath towels look like they were ready to go help clean the dipstick or something. It was crazy
That was a great experience. We came with our family, they have a very clean room and bathroom. It's a quiet place with a delicious free breakfast and an awesome staff. The beds were made very neatly as well as the pull out couch which was comfortable as well.
Leisure break from work I was over charged and told that it would be returned to my card but the over charge was not fully refunded to my card. Some of the over charges were returned but not all other I tried several times to have it taken care of but in the end I was told by the manager that her computer was showing that the over charge was refunded. However my bank confirmed that it was not.
My stay at the Best Western in West Monroe, Louisiana is nice. They are my home away from home. Mrs Sheila makes the best breakfast and is always smiling! Every one is so nice and helpful! I would recommend this hotel for short term or longer term trips.
Nice motel, quiet and clean. Check in is always efficient when Benzy or Tiara check me in, they are always smiling and have a great attitude. Sheila is always smiling and happy serving up a good Breakfast. Constance and renita take pride in ensuring our rooms are always clean. Thanks to all of the hard working staff at the West Monroe BW.
We Love staying at Best Western Hotels, they are clean, up to date, all the amedities you need. Resonably priced ! The Pillows and bed were wonderful to sleep on. We would defineitly stay again. This Best Western was centrally located around restraunts in walking distance. The Breakfast was perfect, they gave us plenty of options and it was all great.
The motel had great hospitality. Sheila was a pleasure to meet and we enjoyed talking to to her while she provided a perfect breakfast (free) for motel members. Reasonable room price, nice people and a clean room. We had a great stay and we will come back when traveling to the area.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfy. The best part of the stay was talking to Sheila the breakfast attendant. She started my day with a smile and friendly conversation! The breakfast was delicious. Tiara, the desk clerk was helpful and friendly. Great motel all the way around. I will definitely stay there again.
The room was very clean and spacious! We requested a room with two queen beds and when we arrived it also had a sleeper sofa in the room. The beds were comfortable. The staff were friendly. It was too cool to use the pool, but it looked very inviting! I will definitely stay here again.
The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Sheila in the breakfast area is the most welcoming person I have met in a very long time! Location is central to the area. We felt safe. This is a no frills location. Entry is not well marked. When asking for clean towels, very responsive. Suggestions: Towels are very thin and should be replaced. Pillows are lumpy, need to be replaced. Curtain shears should be replaced - room 219. Entry mats are in bad shape.
Hotel is in a great location. Hotel is clean and has a great continental breakfast. Sheila Braum was the host of the breakfast area and she was wonderful. Hotel staff at front desk were very personable and easy to talk to. We will be staying here again.
Very nice stay. No problems. Great variety at breakfast. Sheila our hostess was fantastic. It was raining so we needed to cancel our outdoor plans and she gave us a booklet about area attractions and suggested the Duck Commander headquarters a mile away. Room very clean. My husband thought the bed was too hard but I loved it. Great place to stay
I stayed at this hotel for work in the area, at first the appearance of the hotel put me on guard as it looked like an older style with rooms direct to the parking lot. While nothing could be done about that, the hotel was great. Probably the cleanest, looking, smelling, and spacious room I've stayed at in a long time. The front desk staff are very personable and friendly. Here's the clincher... I lost a very important binder with materials I needed for my work trip. After leaving the hotel and working all day, I realized I lost said binder. I called the hotel, and the manager on duty called me back after checking and within 10 minutes and said housekeeping found and held onto the binder and they would hold it at the front desk. I drove back and was able to retrieve the materials, and my sanity. This one act alone relieved all my anxiety and let me finish out my trip stress free. Thank you April Sollars (House Keeper) and Front Desk Manager and Staff. :) If you want a stress free, clean, refreshing stay with quick access to freeways and restaurants... Best Western West Monroe Inn is for you.
Had a very pleasant stay. Clean comfortable and very friendly staff Breakfast was great and plenty to choose from. Bed was very comfortable and Wi-Fi worked great. Plenty of restaurants very close. Great bargain!!
The room was pretty clean. There were a few areas of neglect, but nothing major. The bed was comfortable, the water was hot,the sheets and towels were clean and provided in adequate numbers, the property was mostly quiet (except for one loudmouth guest),staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was at or above expectations.
I stayed at the best western in west Monroe while visiting my daughter. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast Mrs. Sheila was very kind and talkative. She fixed my breakfast and gave me a wonderful positive start to my day.
This is an older motel, where the rooms open directly outside. The place has been cared for and was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and went out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. I had a room with one king bed. There was an area with a sofa, desk, and tv. This was separated from the sleeping area (also with tv) by a large closet and small bathroom which included a tub/shower combo. The vanity area with a sink was outside the bathroom between the sitting and sleeping spaces. A fridge and microwave were included. As this is an older facility there were no built-in usb ports, so bring your phone charger. Breakfast is included and offers the typical waffles, bread items, cereal and so on. Hot items vary from day to day. There were eggs, bacon, and link sausage. There are stores and restaurants nearby. I would stay here again.
Clean rooms friendly helpful staff housekeeper April Sollars was helpful and always smiling Realy enjoyed the breakfast. Everything you need. I'm staying long term for work would gladly stay here again
Very friendly people. This hotel seems well staffed and willing to accommodate it's guest. April who works in housekeeping has been very helpful and does a good job cleaning the room. The nice people and the clean conditions will have me choose to stay here again in the future.
The receptionist had no idea what a customer is, was not unfriendly but completely uninterested. For un known reasons was my driverdslicense copied, without asked nor explanation why it had to be copied.
The service was excellent, room service Mrs. April was great she was respectful and polite the beds are great the hot tub was awesome. My wife and I enjoyed our stay. It was my wife birthday and I would suggest best Western to all my friends and family.
Very clean and friendly staff! Shiela serves an awesome breakfast! Convenient location to restaurants and stores. We were traveling through heading to Nashville so didn't stay in town long. Would highly recommend for an overnight or extended stay!
Don't stay here unless you are okay with big windows right in front of the parking lot... even on the ground floor. It should be called a motel. Bathroom was tiny! Everything was old. Left as soon as we visited the room. Paid with points and I'm hoping they will refund me.
Cool room design. Comfortable beds with 4 pillows. We Really enjoyed the stay. Even had 2 tvs in room 117. Big pool and room smelled great. The room is carpeted and has a ceiling fan. We felt comfortable and at home.
Rooms were great ,clean and everything we need . The night employee really friendly .The best part of this experience was Sheila the breakfast lady. Friendly it seemed like we knew her forever. Helped us with our breakfast and helped my grandson with his cereal. He said shecseemed like a fun grandmother. Thanks Sheila! We'll be back!
Our visit was good from check in to check out. The front desk was very helpful and updated my information. Our housekeeper April Soilars was spot on and made sure we had everything we needed. The lady that helped with breakfast was a joy. She only teased me a little when I tried (unsuccessfully) to make my own waffle. Our only complaints were that the bathrooms were tiny. But the vanity and sink were separate so it wasn't too big of a deal. And the room was a little humid. But we had a good sized working refrigerator and microwave so that was a plus. We will definitely be staying there again if are in town.
I was a bit surprised by the looks of the property things were very good. The staff was not so friendly. Never told me thanks for being a diamond member. Had to ask for water which I was told there was none. At least they said they would give me 500 bonus points. Don't know if this was anything es=xtra besides what I was supposed to get. The breakfast was good and the place was inviting.
They have the best room service and hospitality. Katrina Grimble was amazing!!! She is always attentive and very polite. She checked in multiple times to make our stay feel like home. I will be back.
My stay was very comfortable and the woman that prepared breakfast for our work crew was very nice and caring. Her name is Beatrice Givens. Only one problem. On Our 3rd day breakfast was no longer available, the owners said she couldn't serve us until 6am. Our work crew leaves at 5:30. Our boss said we would be staying at the Best Western from now on. They lost thousands of dollars for 30min or less. Said à0
This hotel is a nice, clean facility that's conveniently locate to I-20 and a variety of restaurants. Nice breakfast and friendly front desk staff. I had a small problems with light bulbs being out/broken and after reporting it to the front desk and being assured it would be taken care of, I was disappointed that it was not. It's kinda hard to shave in the early morning hours with the bulbs not working.
This hotel is very convenient, right off of I-20. The staff was friendly, including Sheila, who helped us cheerily with breakfast, which was link sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, pastries, juices, coffee, and cereal. The room was large, clean, and free of odors, and the bed was comfortable. The A/C was far enough from the bed that it didn't blow right on us, and the temperature was comfortable. Unfortunately, after reading the great reviews on this hotel, there are some things which need to be addressed. Although the room was clean, the cloth sofa appeared to be very dirty from age and use, and we did not use it. The 4 pillows on our king-sized bed were small, square, and very thick. The toilet paper holder was so close to the toilet that the hip of an average sized person actually presses into the roll. That seemed so unsanitary. The bathtub filled with inches of water while showering. There was no plain half and half or powdered coffee creamer at breakfast. I do not care for flavored coffee creamer, and the whole milk offered is just not the same. Also, some fresh fruit would have been nice and helpful, especially for those who need it for dietary issues. I do realize that breakfast is complimentary, but these are just suggestions for happier guests! I have not stayed at any other hotel in this area, so I have no comparison. Overall, this was an acceptable place to spend the night, and the price was good enough considering the above items. The toilet roll issue would be my biggest complaint.
This place was comfortable and a great experience, but the highlight was eating breakfast in the company of Sheila. She was so sweet and gave me the boost I needed to start my day. Definitely will return.
I have to give a 2 thumbs up to Ms Sheila, the wonderful lady who does breakfast in the morning. We work on a plant doing a shutdown for maintenance and have to be there for 6:30 AM. It is a half hour drive so we wouldn't be able to enjoy our hot breakfast. Ms Sheila heard of this and had breakfast ready at 5: 30 so we can enjoy one of the hotel perks we otherwise would not be able to enjoy Above and beyond that she cooks our waffles, checks out drinks and generally makes our mornings awesome. Any time we are up here working we will NEVER stay anywhere else, as long as they have Me Sheila
Great. Clean. Friendly. Everyone was friendly. Breakfast was great. Pool was exceptionally clean-especially for a September. Rooms were clean and roomy. Good internet. Great location. Great value. Way below what others are charging in this area. Would definitely stay again.
Ms. Shelia and Ms. Amanda have excellent customer service. When I come into that area I dont want to stay any where else. The breakfast is so delicious because Ms. Shelia puts her heart and soul in it unselfishly. Ms. Amanda is so welcoming and informative at the front desk! Those two are some amazing employees and I felt very good about staying at the hotel. Ms. Shelia and Ms. Amanda goes over and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and enjoy your stay!!!
I walked in and was helped by (Amanda) at the front desk. Her Customer Service skills are to die for...It is so hard to see a smiling face with such a warm welcome, Amanda showed such the professionalism in every question I had to ask. Most of all she kept a smile the entire time shes such a patient woman. Now lets get into Ms. Shelia breakfast....When I tell you that everything was cooked to perfection and love. Shelia threw down perfect cooked bacon, the eggs were fluffy and not over cooked...Everything was sooooooo clean. I have traveled all over the world and if could take Shelia with me as my personal cook, I would tell her to pack her bags. This is the prime example of the perfect pick in a job place between ( Amanda) friendly and warm welcomes, to Shelia cooking the best breakfast that I have had in a long time. I must say that I'm not a breakfast person at all, the way the smell just called me. Wooooooooow West Monroe you have something Good on your hands at the Best Western. There was no need to go to Waffle House next door at alllll. Thank you ladies and I hope that you get recognized for your hard work and being a positive face for your company.
The staff is very professional and friendly. The room was in disrepair. This is the quality of a hotel I would expect at the $70-$80 price point, not $150. The bathroom door had a hinge ripped off the jamb, and the door stuck closed. The AC struggled to pull the moisture out of the room. There were several other items that needed repair.
Staff was great, breakfast was awesome, and Emily Fields was a great help. Will definitely stay again. Room was large and clean. Quick access to the interstate. Staff called to check on us when we were running late.
I like Best Western Inn in West Monroe Louisiana. The room are clean. The beds are comfortable and fresh too. It is an A+ place. The people at the front check in desk are helpful too. Nice breakfast and coffee to wake up too. I like the pool. I like the location.
Emily always meets you with a smile. She's courteous,well-thoughtfull, and always makes sure we're taken care. Oh yea, the breakfast is immaculate. One of the best I've ever had for a hotel visit. Thanks, Emily!
The hotel is adequate and severed as a perfect stop on road trip near the Duck Commander Warehouse. Breakfast was good with waffle maker. Beds were ok but the pillows were small. It was about what was expected for the price, good but not great.
I felt the $150 incidental charge that is being held for 7 days was excessive. On top of the room charge that left me with no money for dinner. You already have my credit card information to charge if needed
Great hotel, and great staff. Housekeepers work very hard to make your stay comfortable. Ms April was very helpful while I was there. I stay at this location often an it has always been a good experience.
Me and my cousin lacee cook rented a room there and ran into our house keeper Mrs. April. She was very kind and very helpful... Definitely pleased with our experience would definitely recommend seeking her for any questions u have if u can't reach the front desk
The lady that ran the breakfast in the morning was the absolute best ever. Incredible service. So helpful and just all around friendly. This lady needs to be commended for incredible service above and beyond
The room and bathroom appeared well cleaned. The towels were very worn and not of sufficient number, only two bath towels and two face towels. And the sheets appeared to have been overly used before changing, very limp and having a gray appearance. The breakfast was very nice with good choices. The salvation for this hotel stay lies squarely on the shoulders of the young lady at the desk, who was very pleasant and helpful both when checking in and checking out. Kudos to her!
The breakfast was great and the dining area was kept very clean by the attendant Ms. Emily Fields. She was also very courteous and had greeted everyone with nice smile. The food was also well replenished
The young lady at the desk was extremely courteous and helpful. She accommodated my elderly father's need for a downstairs room since they don't have an elevator. Breakfast was decent and kept well stocked. Room was clean, but had a perfumed odor to and seemed a bit damp (probably normal for this area), but seemed clean. The bed was comfortable. I liked having a ceiling fan in the room. There was a bit of road noise, but not horrible. Overall, a good value.
This hotel was not at all what I expected for the hotel rated as one of the best in Monroe. 4 tiny pillows on a king size bed - very small pillows all squished up. The bed and the couch were not comfortable, seemed flimsy. The toilet was so low that it was like sitting on the floor. I have been satisfied with all the other Best Westerns I have stayed in, but this was a letdown. It was clean, but it was not comfortable.
Nice hotel, the regular rooms were all filled up when I booked so I ended up getting a suite. The suites are a little strange, the shower is up on like a pedestal in the middle of the room, so unless you want your roomie to watch you shower, I wouldn't recommend that room, now if your there for "fun" then its perfect. The girl that checked me in was excellent, she helped me find a spot to park my truck. Much appreciated.
The breakfast here is especially good. Emily Fields takes great care of the breakfast area and is attentive of all guests. Above and beyond breakfast experience here. The other staff is friendly as well.
Clean hotel with good hot breakfast and coffee. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable with a room control for the air conditioner which worked well. Good location right off I 20 in a safe location.
Most of our children's sports team stayed here for a weekend. As a heads up- we all recieved a call requesting what time we would arrive the first night. One parent on our team was at work and missed the call... and when she arrived, her room had been cancelled, leaving her to search for another room in the late evening with her young daughter. We all used a credit card to reserve the room weeks ahead of time which, to our understanding, and years of traveling, creates a valid reservation. I am grateful the call came through for me that day or we would have been in a similar situation in the middle of the night in a city not known for it's safety. So if your phone rings on check in day, answer it or call back. In years of traveling, this was a first for all of us. Also, the water from the faucets/tub/toilet was distinctly yellow. The room was clean and staff were friendly and professional.
We really enjoyed our stay. The room was large, and the bed was very comfortable. We had a good breakfast every morning. I t was so good to see things starting to get back o normal, Praise God!!! The bedding was nice. We had a handicap room, we are both older the tub had a hand held shower head.that was nice, but the safety bars were very slick when they were wet and if you had any soap non your hands they'd slip right off the tub was slick too the rubber bath mat helped although it could have been larger, and the shower curtain didn't stop the water from getting through onto the floor, so they need to work on those things, we were able to manage but someone frailer than us might have problems . There was a bad air leak under the door. The rug could have been vacuumed better.
Good location for travelers on Interstate 20 with several restaurants next door and across the street. Clean quiet room and ample parking. Gas station/convenience store located next door. Entrance to the hotel from the street can be confusing.
My name is Ron Keener from Little Rock AR. I've stayed here a few times and it's always enjoyable. The staff is great, breakfast is to die for. My shout out to gorgeous Emily Fields and Amanda Reese for great customer service.
My wife's family is in Monroe so we visit multiple times a year. We have stayed at quite a few of the different motels in the area. The rooms are spacious, updated amenities, and very clean. The staff were always courteous and efficient. The continental breakfast was smaller than a larger hotel's would be but there was plenty of variety, it was always stocked, and meticulously cleaned. Amanda and Shela especially helpful and knowledgeable.
Best service at breakfast. Emily was extremely helpful. Food was really good. The front desk was nice and courteous at the time of check in. Great restaurants near by. I'm walking distance. Can't wait to visit again.
Rooms were clean. Didn't like the brown water and stains on the bath towels but overall we had a good stay. Would stay again. Good location. Right off the interstate and close to stores and restaurants.
Ms EMILY did very well with breakfast. The selection was wide. Even though we were late , she still accommodated us. She went out the way to make us some fresh eggs bacon an all the trimmings. All smiles. Thanks JP your staff is phenomenal as well
Breakfast is top tier! Area clean, food fresh, everything stays stocked. Don't have to ask for anything. Emily makes sure you are good and makes sure you have everything you need. After a long night of work it hit the spot
After a long night at work I checked in just in time for breakfast! The area was very clean and the food was the best I've had at a hotel in a while. Emily F. made sure there was plenty to go around and also took the time to make sure we were good. Great job Emily! Good service is hard to find but after this morning there still may be some hope after all! Lol Thanks Emily!
Room was clean and well appointed. No complaints here at all. Staff was very friendly as well. Highly recommended and just down the street from the duck commander shop and just a short drive to downtown
Room very clean and comfortable. Service good. Channel lineup on TV better than some hotels I've stayed at. I would definitely stay there again if needed. Located near several restaurants and shopping areas.
Miss Emily Fields did a fantastic job on the breakfast. Everything was great. The food was hot and the serving area was very clean. Miss Emily Fields came out several times to check on us and to make sure everything was in order. What a way to start your day. Thanks Miss Fields Railroad Engineer James Cathey
Emily made the best eggs ever! She also went above and beyond to help me get some documents printed for work. Great service, amazing stay and a outstanding breakfast. I suggest if you're in West Monroe stay at this Best Western. Don't forget to try Emily's wonderful breakfast.
This location is close to everything and safe. Plenty of restaurants and stores. I stayed overnight to see my family and check in was easy. Will definitely stay again. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful
Front desk curt and unhelpful. Room Dirty. Toilet paper holder next to toilet seat (really, you sat on the toilet paper). Scary neighborhood. Not an easy access from freeway. TV not viewable from the dirty sofa. No channel guide.
An older hotel but very clean, walls looked freshly painted. Texas Roadhouse Restaurant is next door. Am a rewards member and not acknowledged when checking in; the clerk said she was new; brought up this fact the next morning at check out with the manager a "sorry about that" is all we got. Disappointed that we were not acknowledged (generally with a gift or points). All hotels travelled to the week + previously had lifted the COVID restraints on breakfasts, this hotel is still offering grab and go bags.
We spent one night here and found this hotel to be very lacking. First, it is extremely difficult to even get to it, especially at night. All entrances are from the outside and lighting is less than great. There is no elevator. The water was very dirty when we first started using it and the hot water was not very hot. The bath towels were small and quite thin. The desk chair was nice, but it would not stay in the raised position. The decor is quite cheap as is the furniture. Our room was clean but that was about the only positive thing pertaining to our stay. I do not know how this place can be part of the Best Western franchise. At any rate, it is not a place I would recommend and we will never stay there again. If you do, do so at your own risk!
Hotel overall was ok. Room was decent and large!!! Linen was clean and white, only complaint was the water that ran in the shower was brown!!! Somehow in the bathroom sink it wasn't. So we refused to shower, we just washed off over the sink area. Also a $150 room deposit was required and not told to you when booking. However, if you pay it in cash, you get it back directly when checking out. Too many other hotels in that area, will not stay again.
The water was brown. I had to use bottled water to brush my teeth. It was 90degrees out and the room had no A/C on when went in. The sheets were very old and worn. Sheets on bed were not smooth. Pillows were lumpy - all of them. We paid with a credit card online and still had to swipe when we arrived and were told our room had to be checked upon departure - no other motels are doing this during our pandemic.
A home away from home and a definite weekend getaway spot for busy executives with provisions for everyone in the family!!! I visited with my family and the kids had so much fun at the pool while i enjoyed the sun! Very friendly staff and the hotel is located in a very quiet environment.
Poor cleaning policy. Uncomfortable bed due to plastic cover on the mattress. Bed pillows too small. You are instructed to go to the office for room supplies as full service is not offered to guests staying longer than 2 nights. We could clearly hear the guests above us and their family moving about well into the night.
I opted for staying here because I could get two rooms for the price of one compared to the Holiday Inn Express, which is where we usually stay. We were in town for college tours. I must confess I didn't realize the rooms faced to the outside, my mistake for not realizing but after I got past that, we were really impressed with the rooms. Clean, updated and quiet throughout the night. There's a donut place (Haskell's) and a Sonic next door. Highly recommend Haskell's. I would stay here again. There's also Community coffee available in the lobby and it is wonderful.
I wish I had stayed at a BW on my previous trip. From now on, I will. Here I received the "Quality" I expected from the hotel brand that I have seen go downhill. This hotel was clean everywhere and the room smelled clean. I blacklist my rooms and this even passed that test. I felt safe and cared for and welcomed.
We really enjoyed our stay and would have gave a higher rate but we had housekeeping banging on our door and woke us up around 7:30 after a very long drive. We were going to sleep in a little of course be out by 11 but our whole family was awakened. It was very clean. I would just recommend for them to let their customers enjoy the time they paid for. We had our door hanger up.
The room was ok. There was a very strong cleaning smell in the room. The breakfast was bagged into hot or cold items The afternoon check in staff was pleasant. The pool was clean. Several children were enjoying it.
Stayed there for duration of reservation, added two more days due to weather and wanting to stay longer. Desk Staff Amanda was super helpful and friendly. The Staff was very responsive to any requests, Parking was good.
This hotel was perfect for our visit. Everyone was very friendly. Room was nice and clean. Very convenient to everything. Nice parking lot and room to walk our dog. We really enjoy the outside access to the room, it makes it so much easier to haul our stuff in...
The room was clean. The bed was omfortable. The pool looked clean. There are a few restaurants nearby. Breakfast in a bag apple, bar, muffin, yogurt or breakfast sandwich.I would stay again. The internet worked fine Helpful staff.
Easy to get to and from interstate. Rooms clean and friendly staff. Would stay again. Came for Baseball Tournament and meet needs for overnight stay. Restaurants near by, and pool was clean. Safe area and close to NELU.
The hotel was clean, and covid-19 safety precautions were being followed. The staff was friendly, especially one of the cleaning staff members, Jessica. This hotel does not have an elevator, and I was travelling with my elderly mother. Jessica went above and beyond by offering to help me carry our belongings down the stairs to our car so I wouldn't have to make several trips on my own. She was friendly, and SO helpful! I would stay here again, just because of her willingness to help.
We were traveling to Georgia from Texas and decided to stop in West Monroe, LA, for the night. It was a last minute reservation. We were thankful for the room availability. The room was in order, but there was no continental breakfast. Just a brown bag with a orange, muffin, etc.
Planned to stay for one night, wound up staying 4. Girls at the front desk are great. Nice, clean hotel. Easy to get to, plenty of restaurants nearby. Duck Dynasty Country. I would definitely stay here again.
Friendly staff had a get up and go brown b ag for breakfast which was a nice surprise .Temperature of room was good. Nice to have mini frig and parking lot was well lit. Close to shopping and many restaurants.
Room cean, great location, easy check in . Front desk friendly and helpful, especially Jamie. Breakfast options are hot or cold to go bags. Only drawback is you can hear some traffic from the freeway.
The desk clerk was very professional and got me checked in and showed me were are room was. Check in very easy and quick. The next morning the staff was very friendly I travel with my service dog. They all were very respectful of him, coffee was excellent and a good variety of breakfast items. Overall stay was was very relaxing and quite. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonable clean room with excellent employees.
I stayed one night on a cross country drive. Very clean and the staff was professional and courteous. Close to numerous restaurants. The pool was running but too cold for me. I will stay here again and recommend this hotel.
They charged me twice for one room and could not explain why. They took 135.01 from me for a 242.09 room BEFORE I checked in! Then when I tried to pay the difference they told me I couldn't I had to pay the whole thing and a $150 deposit!
Coming into the lobby out of the snow and ice that blanketed a lot of the south was a welcoming hostess at the counter. Reservation was set up through the phone app for ease of check in. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. My husband was able to continue his journey in the morning as the weather had eased off from the previous night.
The service is excellent. Even though there is no hot breakfast, they still have brown bag breakfast for you. The bags are filled with nice healthy snacks, and I loved everything in the bag. The room smells fresh and clean upon entrance into the room. The service desk worker, Jordan is always extremely nice and courteous. She does an excellent job and always carry a smile.
My family & I drove up from Mamou to Monroe. We went to see Candy Cane Lane. The hotel is is a good spot, there's a lot of places to eat near by. The staff was friendly. The only thing I didn't care for was rooms were on the outside & the beds were uncomfortable.
This is an older property that has been very nicely updated. Clean and comfortable. Parking for larger vehicles is not particularly good. Housekeeping started banging on the door far too early. Otherwise, a comfortable and pleasant stay.
and seeing that the picture online was not of the same motel, Alex was kind enough to cancel the rooms with no charge, disinfectant smell was making me sick, West Monroe not on our list any more......
Always have a wonderful stay the owner is very helpful in making sure that I have a comfortable stay and all the workers do a fantastic job from the front desk to the room cleaners always do a splendid job. Even through covid crisis they have been doing everything they can for there customers. VERY MUCH APPRECIATED.
JP and his staff were super friendly and helpful. The rooms are recently remodeled and were nice and clean. The kids enjoyed the pool while we soaked up some sun! Thanks for the great experience, made it a wonderful birthday weekend for my son!
The hotel is not a lot to look at on the outside, Tucked behind a vacant building and next to a semi-abandoned strip mall, I didn't have the greatest firs impression. However the room was very clean and updated, so my impression changed. Bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Shower worked well although the bathroom seemed a little cramped. Only downside was there was no breakfast provided due to the whole Corona virus. I understand not offering a breakfast bar, but when booking the hotel, it stated that a grab and go breakfast was provided. However, when I was checking in, a sign was posted giving the bad news of no breakfast. For the Duck Dynasty fans, this hotel is very close to their location.
With easy access to the interstate, this hotels provides one with a very restful stay. Large comfortable room, efficent staff and a quiet night all combine to insure that your stay is enjoyable. When next my travels bring me to this area, I would make it a point to stay again.
Stayed at this beat western last week when there night was ending around 3;30am ther night clerk was very friendly and wad able to give us a lower level walk in room even offered extended check out.. there bed was comfy and there ac blew cold what more could I ask for? I would come back again
Exactly what I've come to expect from best Western the staff is extra friendly and more than accommodating. Will definitely make this my regular spot when I am in West Monroe. Lots of fun stuff in the area as well.....must hit Miss Kays!
Even with me checking in at around 3am I was offered the late check out of 12:00 noon. when 12 came around the clock in the room said 11 so the cleaning ladies still gave me the extra time to get out because it was right at time change.
It took us one hour to check in. First we booked through expedia and we didnt clearly see the hidden fee of 150. We complained about it and thats when we was made to look like the devil because we was unware of the fee. We said we wanted to cancel the room and the clerk told us that we could leave and we wouldnt be returned our money. She threw my wifes keys on the floor and told her to get out. I talked to the Manager on the phone and he tried to calm the situation out. This clerk would not give us her name so could not report her but the manager said he would take care of this. There was another clerk helping her name was Ti and she was an amazing clerk and she talked to us with dignity. I will not ever stay at this place or book through expdia ever again due to the hidden fees and taking 5 days to return the deposit.
As a RR worker, I travel and stay in various hotels across the south and this one is right at the top. Great owner and managment. And the ladies done wonderful job keeping the room fresh and clean. and Catina has the best BREAKFAST I've had at any hotel.
Great stay with great staff, front desk clerk Tanaia was awesome very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfast was great as well and on time thanks to Catina. That is important because I leave out very early.
This was located close to every kind of eating establishment imaginable. There was a gas station nearby as well. Felt safe. Handicapped rooms and parking very close to each other. Easy to use wheelchair ramps. Internet speed was fast and the Breakfast was good. The Breakfast Room was a bit small which caused crowding but everyone was nice about it. Glad to see a Bible in the room.
I enjoyed my stay and the breakfast so much the first time that I came back on a different visit to stay a second time. The breakfast was good before but this time it was better because they added a mini pancake maker next to the waffle maker and POTATOES were on the menu for at least once during my stay. The staff has always been nice and polite. I may have to stay here again on my next visit.
A very nice and well maintained property! Friendly staff! The rooms are recently remodeled. The suite we stayed in had a very comfortable bed and was nicely decorated. Sort of a shame we only stayed one night. Breakfast was good, too! Fresh items and lots of choices.
The hotel has reasonable free breakfast and it's close, as in right across the street and down the road, from a plethora of nom options. I stayed for 1 night in the midst of a long road trip so it was great priced and right off the highway. The water had a yellow-ish tint but there is a sign that warns you about it and lets you know it's OK. My only complaint really is the mattress feels like it had a rubber mattress. So, the bed and pillows weren't that comfortable but they did the job on a last minute situation. Not having to stop by the office on my way out due to express check out, that was also great!
We needed a place to stay while passing through on our way home to NC and decided to book here because the price was good. For an older style motel, it was in really good shape and clean. It was great for a family of 5. The room not only had 2 queen size beds but also a twin sofa bed. And the free breakfast was great! Lots of choices...eggs, sausage links, bacon, biscuits and gravy, waffles or mini pancakes with a variety of toppings, packets of oatmeal & grits, yogurt, cereal, vanishes, toast and bagels. No reason for anyone to leave hungry!
I spent two nights at the Best Western while taking care of my father who was in a nearby hospital. I called the hotel after arriving in town and I was assisted by the most helpful and courteous hotel employee (Alex) that I have ever talked with. He was very concerned about my situation (sick family member in the hospital) and made everything so effortless and stress free. He had me checked-in and in my room in less than 10 minutes. Spotlessly clean room, comfortable bed and free breakfast included. Safe, well-lighted parking area and a super friendly staff make this a hotel that I highly recommend to persons looking for a place to stay in the West Monroe area.
The stay was amazing! The staff was great. A very modern hotel! It is located near a very nice downtown area and also has many close dining options. The free deluxe breakfast was also a nice touch. I give this hotel 5 stars and would recommend to any person visiting the area!
This is a clean and up to date hotel. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Had a peaceful nights rest and will stay again. I would recommend anyone passing thru to stop and try out this hotel. I bet you will make it a permanent stop for a great nights rest.
We spent one night at this hotel which was part of a 12 day road trip. I was immediately greeted and thanked for choosing Best Western by the desk staff and they graciously upgraded my room. The only unfortunate thing was the room itself was on the 2nd floor which necessitated us to have to carry our things up the steps (no elevator). We have a lot to carry in and out due to our annual move from our northern to southern home. The room itself was a suite with a nice living room (which had it's own sofa and TV and a bedroom which also had a TV. The bathroom is small but is efficient. The sink is outside the bathroom between the living and bedroom. Everything worked properly and the room was very clean. We encountered no difficulties with the WiFi or the availability of TV channels. This hotel has a nice outdoor pool and many available dining choices conveniently located. I found the breakfast delightful. They provide good hot/cold options and a morning paper is also complimentary. I had some interactions with the staff and found the employees very pleasant. In addition, this hotel is conveniently located off the highway. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel room.
Worst bed I have slept in years and at dozens of hotels. Extremely uncomfortable and the pad under the sheet increased the discomfort. The pillows are smaller than couch pillows and impossible to sleep comfortably on. The sink in the room was broken - the sink stopper was broken; it was stuck closed so the sink filled with water and would not drain. The shower was made for someone 5'0" or shorter. The water was yellowish and tasted nasty. On a good note, breakfast was good; bacon, sausage, eggs, pastries, etc.
When we first arrived, we missed the entrance because its tucked away behind the 2 gas stations. Once we knew where to turn it was easy to find. The breakfast was very good. Eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The staff was also very friendly and helpful!
The staff are very friendly and very helpful, rooms are always nice and clean with restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Jordan was very nice and had my room key ready for me when I pulled in to the parking lot. The breakfast that catina makes is always hot and fresh everyday.
The staff was very rude. We hadn't even been in our room 5 minutes and they were calling saying we were being too noisy. We had 2 kids trying to tote upstairs along with luggage. The water was yellow coming out of the faucets which is not normal and is not city water. Then we went to fold out the sofa bed and get it ready for the kids to sleep on and there was no bedding for it whatsoever. The bathroom is very tiny.
This place is great. I have stayed and am currently staying here for out of town work. Tania at the front desk was very helpful. Catina always has a great breakfast cooked at 6 am. The king bed suite is very spacious and very comfortable. The location is ideal. Thanks fir everything.
Lots of room in the free suit upgrade. Freeway noise dropped in time for sleeping. Great breakfast with plenty of space in the temporary room used because of construction. Too cold to swim that day. Overall good experience.
Clean and comfortable with friendly staff. Great outdoor salt water pool with seating for relaxing on warm day. Easy access to restaurants walking distance from small convenient store with gas. Nothing fancy but priced right for a night stay on the road.
Excellent hotel with very clean rooms. Stay here, you won't be disappointed. Good location with a good breakfast. Location is very convenient for local attractions, and interstate access. Safe environment, and would stay here again.
Catina the breakfast lady is always so energetic and willing to help my needs in the morning always making sure the breakfast is hot. Always making my day start off right. Tania front desk even though she started a couple of weeks ago she has learned so much and always willing to go far and beyond exceptions that I need her to. She always has a smile on her face and is all around a good worker.
Stayed at this location a couple different times for the railroad. Friendly professionally staffed. Rooms were clean, the pool was also clean. Their are plenty of restaurants close by as well as a gas station next store. I would definitely stay again if in Monroe.
Nice, clean and well-maintained hotel in a very convenient location. They definitely keep up to the Best Western standards I am used to seeing. Good breakfast, in fact, really good breakfast. Catina was a wonderful face to see in the morning...very friendly and helpful. Rooms were well kept and clean. The housekeepers, I wish I knew their names, went out of their ways to be friendly and accomodating! Will stay here again.
Catina did a great job making the breakfast foods and kept things cleaned and the coffee pots filled. The front staff were also very nice. We stayed in a handicap room and it was a nice size, bed needed a little help, which is our only complaint.
We choose this location at least twice a year when visiting family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms have a living room area where we can visit if we need to. During the summer, the rooms by the pool are great for convenience or relaxing outside. We always enjoy the breakfast. It offers enough variety to satisfy our needs. If we want a change, there is a Cracker Barrel and IHOP close by.
We have stayed here before and returned because it is a nice place to stay with clean rooms at a fair price. Very good staff. Convenient to the Interstate. We will continue to make this inn a stop on our journeys.
When i made my reservation i was expecting a one bedroom, but when i arrived it was like i was home. It was a bedroom with livingroom and i sure wasn't expecting that, but i feel in love asap...I will be back whenever i need a place to layover
Updated, clean, comfortable rooms. We were in town for a funeral and had more than one room. Both rooms were better than expected and the staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, coffee was great. We were not there for fun, but Best Western made our stay very comfortable.
Came for homecoming and had my kids with me.. the staff was great shay at front desk and Ray loved my kids and very friendly with them. Carina at breakfast had no problem with my kids either... we enjoyed the stay..thank you all
Shay at the front desk is awsome... Catina at breakfast is always on time for more food. And Ray is a great housekeeper love the dreds... highly recommend this hotel, they make you feel like family. And I love it
I travel with my job so I stay here often. I come on the same days so the front desk always has my reservation made and greets me with a smile. Sometimes I come in late after working overnight. On those days the breakfast lady will put me something to the side so that I can eat a little before I go to bed. The whole staff is great and the rooms are always nice and clean. I really appreciate everything and I highly reccomend them!!
Just older feeling hotel, rooms could use freshened up. Check in staff was good, positive. We were on motorcycles and felt safer if bikes were under the lights, Jordan let us keep them by the entrance without hindering others.
Friendly staff especially Catina. Breakfast meats were a little too salty but overall a good place to stay. Need better signage at the street for entry since it is located behind a gas station and the driveway appears to lead into said station.
The hotel was in a great location. It was in close proximity to a gas station, and several good eating places. The room was very clean and updated. The driveway into the hotel was a little bit confusing but I was able to figure it out. Great stay.
We stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights for a family trip. The girl at the front desk had horrible customer service skills, she really put us in an uneasy mood every time we had to speak to her. She was horrible and unprofessional
I travel a lot for work and have found that this is a great place to stay very quite and very clean location. The rooms look to be fresh and everything is well lighted. As a woman traveling alone I feel very safe and secure in this location. There are plenty of locations to eat in the area and you are a 1/2 mile away from the "Duck Commander" location.
Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. Close to food and gas. Within walking distance of restaurants and convenience store. Only negative was continental breakfast, eggs were not appealing. Would stay here again.
What a wonderful stay. Best Western was very clean and the room was very nice. Catina was very nice and did an amazing job with breakfast. Shay did amazing at the front desk. The kindness was the best part of our whole entire trip. I cant recommend this hotel enough.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the lighting good and the bathtub was large. Breakfast was good, with a good selection and quality. All the employees we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The pool area was also nice, with a large deck and a covered area.
Easy check in. Excellent staff, room awesome nice and clean. Breakfast out of this world well worth the money to stay. Easy parking, well lighted, excellent stay and relaxing. Pool area nice and clean too. Relaxing to set by the pool.
Clean, neat, convenient, affordable good breakfast, nice beds, comfortable , Pool, good parking, staff in courdial, Would recommend to friends and would stay here again. Grounds were well kept. Was a good visit.
A great place to stay, friendly staff.. Shay and Catina are always helpful and breakfast is great. Ray in housekeeping is always there to assist. I recommend this hotel if ever in this area. Clean and great all the way around!!
My room was nice and clean. Very well put together. Carina had one of most beautiful breakfast stations I have ever seen. Shay was hospitable when checking me in. Both are greatly appreciated. If I return to Monroe I will definitely stay here.
The hotel itself is perfectly fine and inline with other off-highway Best Western's at which I've stayed. Clean room, friendly front desk staff, free WiFi, etc. It's the area that's the problem. At least as of late July 2019, West Monroe suffers from an overwhelming and inescapable Oder. It's terrible, everywhere, and from what the internet tells me, is the result of a nearby paper mill. And if this weren't bad enough, there's an issue with the local water! It's brown. YUCK! Although, according to a laminated card placed in my room, “ it is harmless, and tested regularly to ensure it meets the highest quality standards,” I sure as hell am not drinking it.
Stayed at Best Western West Monroe on trip from Texas to Nashville. Staff was wonderful and friendly. Including Tab at front desk, carina at breakfast and maid cleaning service. I would recommend staying here.
King Suite review: Bathroom was kind of small with vanity/sink being outside the bathroom. 4 small square pillows about half the size of a king pillow on a king size bed wasn't enough for me (I like full sized pillows) there was also no comforter on the bed, but I didn't ask for one either. Pool was small but served the purpose - nice cabana poolside to hangout under. Breakfast was wonderful - no issues at all. Staff was extremely helpful at all times (24 hour service).
Hotel was clean and service was good. Catina at breakfast and Shay at front desk were excellent. Not enough towels for rooms. Housekeeping picked up towels in morning and said they would wash and bring back. In the meantime we had no towels. Need microwave in rooms. Other than these items hotel was fine. Good location for us and good price.
Outside access. We were in room 111... king suite with a pullout. The room was very clean and large. They don't have linens in the room for the pullout. Updated and modern. Parking was fine. Several restaurants in the area and it's about a mile from duck commander shop. Breakfast was decent. Beds were pretty comfortable.
Spent 3 days in this hotel. The staff is great. Carina was very nice and professional. I stay in hotels at least 10 days at a time , and this was one of the best that I've stayed in. I will stay here again
Catina does such a wonderful job doing breakfast in the morning. She always makes you feel like your at home. She is willing to assist as much as possible and always has a good attitude about doing it. So glad she is here.
We were on a family reunion stay and everything was very professional. The room was comfortable and clean beds. There was refrigerator and a microwave that made our stay so convenient since we had our children with us. Although we were near the pool, it was orderly and the kids enjoyed it so much that we had to get them out each time. We had the complimentary breakfast each morning and it was hot, it was was very delicious. Our kids loved that they could have waffles each morning and a variety of other pastries. We will continue to stay at Best Westerns when available.
The location did not look like it did in the pictures. It is located behind an abandoned strip mall and run down gas station. I would have rather spent the extra money to stay across the highway. There was not enough room to stand in the bathroom comfortably and close the door. I've enjoyed BW in the past, but not this one.
Customer service was awesome, I was greeted and treated with welcoming arms, Ms Shay & Ms Catina were extremely nice and caring with answers to all my questioning. Definitely would recommend you to stay here if visiting in this area
Very pleasant staff, clean, up to date and nice sized rooms, comfortable beds, and clean/nice pool area as well. The only downfall to this place is the very small breakfast room, other than that, we enjoyed it here! Well worth the money and time!
This hotel was a great last minute destination. We were traveling for business, when time got away from us, and we had to pull over for the night. The staff here were very informative, helpful and polite. During the night I needed assistance and the front desk lady was very attentive, with my needs. This is also a great location for eating. We were able to walk to the waffle house and enjoy a nice late night meal. I would highly recommend this location as well as return in the future if I ever in the area again.
Enjoyed our stay ! We definitely recommend that hotel to everyone and we will definitely return for another visit to that wonderful city. The pool was also amazing. It made for a wonderful afternoon of relaxing
This is my absolute favorite hotel to stay when I arrive to Monroe/W. Monroe. Shay is the reason I keep returning. As a CRM, I wanted to share my feedback to potential guests, please stop by, and visit this location. Rooms are amazing! Thanks in advance. T. Stevens
Rooms have been remodeled and all appears to be new and updated. All clean very quiet. Close to eating establishments. Close to the interstate. Enjoyed our one nights stay. Rested well. Enjoyed the adjustability of the shower. The breakfast was very good and had plenty to eat. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again when back in the area.
Best Western Monroe Inn is a Great hotel, very clean rooms and friendly staff, also close to many restaurants. We stopped on our way to Florida, we arrived late & was greeted by Jason, he was very friendly
This an older motel - but it was clean and comfortable. We were exhausted for the evening and just went to bed. In the morning, the breakfast was hot and ready and the staff was cheerful and welcoming.
My work crew was due on job before breakfast scheduled time & Catina made sure the breakfast was ready & available an 30 min early every morning so we could grab a bite before we left every single morning. She did this at our request & went above & beyond to take care of us!
Hotel is nice and always clean when I stay for the night, Catina and Tab are always helpful anytime I need something and the breakfast is great. Pool is always open which is nice with the hot weather that's here.
Such a clean place to stay and also friendly staff that work there which did a great job on keeping our room clean and serviced. Surrounding area had different choices of food and the breakfast there was great.
Very nice hotel in the moderate price range, located near the interstate by several eaters. Staff seemed friendly and professional. The hotel appeared to be located in a secure neighborhood. I would recommend for solo and family traveling
The people were nice breakfast was good . The only thing I didn't like was being asked if we needed our room serviced . But I understand some don't like to be bothered or needed. We went through towels because of the pool and we kept taking our trash out. I would stay again .
Was in town for business and leisure. The hotel is walking distance around several great restaurants. The front desk staff was very helpful, speedy check inn and check out process. The rooms were nice and clean and I slept like a baby. The pool and breakfast was a plus. I will definitely be back again and will recommend this hotel to anyone.
Room was clean but sheets and blankets weren't. Pulled regular sheet over fitted sheet due to stains. Used our own blankets from vehicle due to blanket provided having stains. Towels were rough and had a weird smell. Jordin who checked us in was a real sweetie. Would stay here again after checking sheets and blankets first.
Really disappointed in this stay, saw great reviews and was confident having my family of four stay here on our trip across county. Main living was ok, bathroom was disgusting with toliet not cleaned and tiny- we had to choose to leave door open or enter shower to close the door. Non smoking room, however door was right next to pool entrance where people smoked and drank and it just filtered into the room all night. Also could hear all our neighbors on all walls and ceiling all night. Beds were uncomfortable and they had a plastic lining so you feel like a toddler who may wet the bed. Will not be back
We absolutely loved our stay. The staff was so friendly. The place was very clean. We even received an upgrade to our room to a suite with pull out couch and mini frig and microwave. The swimming pool looked very clean and inviting. We only wish we had longer to stay. We were about 2 minutes from The Duck Commander store.
Its like a home away from home. I travel a lot with my job and this has been the best place I've stayed in a very long time. The staff is friendly, hot breakfast and I'm always greeted with a smile. I highly recommend this motel.
Always a pleasent stay with nice clerks and clean room and good internet. The breakfast is just right and good Community coffee. Very easy to get to off interstate and red light right there to get back on street.
Couldn't use the restroom because it was clogged. Had to wait till morning when the maintenance man came at 8:00 to use the restroom. It was a big inconvenience when u not able to relieve yourself in a room you paid full price for in a half functional room!!!!
Last minute decision to stop for the night. Our room was clean and bed was comfy...needs a topper if you have pressure point issues...my only complaint is the water in the room. I'm not sure what the problem is, city water lines or water source. It has an Odor similar to phosphate and it's brown in color. This isn't the hotels fault as it seems a common issue in West Monroe.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was very nice -- lots of variety. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We received a call in our room after checkin to ensure that we were satisfied with the room. This was our 3rd time staying in a Best Western and we had great experience, but this was one of the best. I recommend this hotel.
We received an upgrade to a suite and the room was great. Lots of space with two rooms separated by a small bathroom in the middle. There was nice large refrigerator and microwave in a tall stand next to vanity which is directly across from the bathroom. I found the bed too soft. Obviously there is a lot of variation in the mattresses here!! Breakfast was good with scrambled eggs, sausage gravy…coffee was decent too. All in all we had a solid stay here and were impressed by the quality of the room.
The staff were very courteous. The rooms were very nice. I will use this hotel the next time I am traveling through Monroe. The breakfast was good and it was hot. It can be a little tricky to get turned into the site because the entrance is so close to the signal. We used the driveway for the Chevron next door. Otherwise this is one of my favorite places to stay.
Everything was great except the bed was hard and you could feel the springs. The staff was very friendly. I tried to check in by calling the reservation number and the guy was going to charge me $90 more than if I booked online myself made no sense.
Enjoyed my stay at the West Monroe Best Western. The remodeled room was very nice and the staff was friendly and very helpful with extra towels, etc. The free breakfast bar was very good with hot eggs and bacon or sausage. They served Community Coffee most of the day.
Personel very outstanding. They went way beyond any of my expectations to accommodate any of my needs. It did not matter if I needed something in the room or questions concerning places nearby or any other things, they helped me get answers or problems solved. They also treated other guests with the same attitude.
we were just traveling through and were there one night, but the staff treated us like visiting family. Breakfast was special and the staff went out of their way to fix my wife's oatmeal. They also recommended a local restaurant, where we enjoy a great evening. Trapps was like having dinner with family as well.
Everything was perfect!! The staff was amazing and kind and very prompt with any requests I had! I had planned on staying at the Red Roof Inn across the street but they didn't have any rooms available yet and told me I'd have to wait 2-3 hours. I went to the Best Western and was immediately given a room and checked in. The check in process was quick. The staff outdid themselves. The room was awesome for the price!
I have been here for a little over two weeks now and I love it! The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very clean and it is in a great location! There is tons of food places and shopping spots. I also love the free breakfast!
Easy access on and off I-20. The staff were wonderful and helpful. Nice quiet rooms. There is access to plenty of choices for food in the area and a very nice movie theater not far. Great stop traveling through the state. Not that we used it, the pool was clean and very inviting.
I cannot recommend this hotel. At arrival the desk clerk was more interested in telling us three or four times that there was no smoking in the rooms. She then told me that since I had prepaid for the room I needed to put up a credit card so that if I smoked in the room they would charge me for it. I had to sign a specific agreement regarding smoking. I wish they had put that much effort into cleaning the room. The dust and dirt on the door in the bathroom was easily noticed as was the paint all over the robe hook and towel shelf. It also was the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel/motel. We had to leave the window open all the time due to the irritating odor in the room. The window frames were also covered in dust. The only saving grace was the convenience store in front of the facility. It made it easy to fuel up on our way out. This facility is difficult to access and poorly defined. No direct driveway. We had to walk through ankle deep water to get from the parking lot to the room. Overall a very disappointing stay.
Shay at front desk was very nice and helpful. And Tabetha with room service was very nice and helpful bringing clean towels with a smile. The rooms are very nice, and very clean. I'll come back on my next trip to West Monroe. Good experience here. Made trip really nice
Check-in was super smooth and friendly! A large variety of eating places and a Wal Mart nearby or within a couple minutes driving time. My daughter left her tablet there, and they called to let me know. Can't say enough...they were great!
This is a very nice property. Newly renovated very nice staff. Breakfast had great choice, but no vegan meat. Also the bathrooms are extremely small, there's 2 floors, but no elevator and the door opens to the outside.
I enjoyed everything about my stay at this location. The staff were very friendly, breakfast was hot and fresh, with lots of items to choose from. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable.
Rooms were clean. Staff very helpful and friendly. Need more protein items for breakfast like hard boiled eggs, greek triple zero yogurt, and do bacon instead of sausage as the sausage was not done.Lobby opens at 6:00 AM and I am use to it being open 24 hours so you can have coffee earlier.
I have been staying here for business every time I have to be in West Monroe LA, for the last several years. Everyone is great. Tabatha and Destiny were definitely outstanding and are part of the reason I will stay here again in the future. They both believe in the future of Best Western in West Monroe and themselves.
The hotel appears to be newly renovated and is a work in progress. There was some exterior painting and sanding occurring while we were there. This started early in the morning which wasn't the best wakeup but it was after 8am. Housekeeping tried to come both mornings while we were still sleeping, before or right at 8am. That's entirely too early and was a quite frustrating. Overall the room was nice. Beds were decently comfortable but definitely bring your own pillow. The staff was very nice.
Great hotel. Jennifer at the front desk was just the sweetest! Loved visiting with her while checking in and out. She was super helpful and we will for sure go back if we get the chance. Pool was awesome! My grandson loved it. Rooms were clean and everyone was friendly. Can't really ask for more!
We stayed one night at this location. It was ok but we had a few major problems. The tub leaked water through the drain so the water had to be constantly turned on. With a whirlpool tub this was a problem. The shower steps are extremely unsafe and are a fall hazard. At a minimum non slip paint, tiles, or tape should be used. A safety rail should be considered. The shower door should open in the opposite direction. The fan didn't look like it had been dusted in months. The inside of the AC blower was extremely dusty. Both my wife and had problems with allergies in the room.
Three generations stayed, granddaughter, daughter and grandpa. Crossing Duck Dynasty off the bucket list. Comfortable stay, pool was fun, void of others and cold. Good location easy to get to the little Monroe had to offer. Overall, what wr expected.
We had a great stay at the Best Western West Monroe Inn. Paul kept the pool in great shape for us and greeted us every morning. LaYouke always had a smile on her face when we went to breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. Shay kept our room cleaned and made sure we had enough towels. Everything was excellent and we enjoyed getting to know the staff.
Just in case it's not apparent, this is a motel--with the room doors opening to the outdoors. However, it is clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was in pristine condition. The staff were all friendly and helpful. This Best Western is convenient to I-20 and local restaurants and shops. It was a great value!
Dear Best Western, Hi I'm Dexter from Houston Texas. I really enjoyed my experience at the Best Western my family and I were treated with such consideration and Care. The beds were extremely comfortable the food and customer service was fantastic. Whenever we visit West Monroe again we will surely return to this specific Best Western. Thank you you guys for your wonderful service and your commitment to Excellence regarding your customers. Thank you to the customer service at the counter and thank you too the breakfast waitress and server Layouke you guys are amazing.
My stay at the hotel was very nice and comfy thanks to the maintenance man Donald Paul he was very helpful and the housekeeping crew for a clean room everyone was very nice I give it a thumbs- up.i will be visiting the hotel again thanks.karen hodge
This was a nice hotel right off the interstate. Check in and check out were great as the desk personnel were very friendly and welcoming. The room was large with a loveseat couch by the bed. There was also a desk, refrigerator and large dresser. The only drawback to the room was the tiny bathroom. The sink was in the room so the only thing in the bathroom was the tub and toilet. The tub was fine but the room barely fit it and the toilet. The free breakfast was plentiful with hot eggs and sausage, waffles, pastries, fruit, oatmeal and cereal. It was well stocked and maintained. I did not go swimming but there were other patrons that seemed to enjoy the pool. I would definitely stay here again when in the area.
Absolutely lovely lady checked us in to this hotel and we had a great stay, stayed for 2 nights in a king room which was very clean and comfortable, close to many restaurants, not a lot to do in the town itself but it was a great place to wind down for a couple of days, will stay again if we are ever in the area
The Kids have always wanted to visit Duck Commander, so we decided to take a road trip. We booked our stay through Hotels.com not really concerned about location, we just wanted a good deal. This Hotel ended up being in the heart of everything Duck Commander. The staff was great, Jordan at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed. She changed our room to the first floor to help accommodate a non-stair climber we had with us. Robin and Crystal went out of their way to get us pool towels and made sure to get us sheets for the pull out bed. Great service, very clean and accommodating to what ever we needed, within reason ;)
Overall extremely pleasant experience. Traveling with the kids we had to make a last minute stop because of weather and from the time we walked through the door it was a pleasant experience. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Best part was waking up to hot breakfast. The breakfast attendant Layouke was extremely attentive and nice. She talked to all the guest and made sure that any and all needs were met. The entire staff went above and beyond. Wonderful stay!
I initially booked this reservation on hotels.com, I called the hotel and spoke with Jordan and she was kind, helpful, patient and sincere in help with my request. Upon my arrival I met Jordan and Jennifer they were both a pleasure to work with and very accommodating. Kudos to the Best Western Staff, awesome teamwork!!!!!!!
Have been staying at this hotel for a couple years now, on and off working in the area. This is one of the cleanest and well maintained hotels in the area and a great price. the staff is very friendly and helpful. if you are working or just passing thru, give them a try you want regret your stay at this hotel.
I would like to commend one of your staff Cash, who was exceptional with her assigned duties. Thanks!!! The rooms were clean and better than most hotels that i have slept in before and i do plenty of traveling... Thanks again Cash
Call ahead if you use micowave, cause some rooms dont have them even though they are all supposed to i travel for my job and i bring my iwn food i was not happy when i did not have one after traveling all day and hungry.the last thing i want to do is get back in that car to get food they didn't bring me one or move me it was sorry bout your luck....will not stay again, its kinda cheapo and old also... not that great at all for the price
Good breakfast variety love the waffles and the coffee. Very nice and helpful staff. Shelley and all the other girls were great and made sure we had everything we needed! Some of our group likes to cook outside and they didn't mind at all. Will be returning!
My go to hotel when I'm in West Monroe. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean. Easy access to tons of restaurants and the interstate. The business center is not as good as most BWs but it gets the job done if you need to print something small.
This is not the best of the Best Western hotels. It looks like they bought out another hotel and really not up to there quality. The bath tub and commode were in one room and the sink was out in the room.
We recently stayed with my son's high school baseball team. It was a last minute for booking our rooms. Jennifer and Jordan at the front desk was more the helpful getting all the accommodations set up, even though there were so many variables that happened with out stay. Jennifer knew when we would be traveling and went out of her way to call and makes us aware of possible bad weather, very considerate. When traveling with 17 teenage boys, feeding them is expensive. Shelley didn't an excellent job not only keeping up with the crew we had but also any other guest that was wanting breakfast at the same time. Rooms were clean and smelled clean. For my personal taste the bed was on the hard side. Others traveling with us said the beds were fine. Overall great place for the price. Will stay again if need be.
Everything its great, the personal its very helpful. Shelly its amazing.breakfast its good, very nice room the laundry its cheap. has restaurant close to location the tv programing its great and the lobby its huge
Excellent experience here. Very, very, clean room.....Excellent hot breakfast prepared by Shelley. Jennifer at the front desk was pleasant ans her attitude was genuine and not fake. Would stay here again in a heartbeat...thanks Jennifer and Shelley for making our stay great. Next time order us some sun - haha - have a great day gals. Antoniette J. Ellis and husband Scott
Great facility, full breakfast, nice knowledgeable staff and the maids Toya and Shay were exceptionally great. Not only accommodating of my time and concerns but worked towards a solution on every issue. I will be recommending this location to all my insurance adjuster colleagues.
I stayed 5 days Jan-Feb 2018 Front desk clerk, Jennifer, was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good every day Shelley kept breakfast bar well stocked. My room was clean and comfortable thanks to Lisa. I work in Monroe about 1 week a month and always stay at Best Western
Awesome service Shelly was courteous and professional. The staff was amazing. Shelly served well at breakfast. I don't do a lot of these but I thought I owed this to her for doing such an amazing job.
We visited Monroe this weekend on a road trip...hotel staff was wonderful...Jennifer at the front seat ensured that our stay was very comfortable....We will be visiting again and we will certainly stay at the Best Western on Thomas...Thanks again to Ms Jennifer....
We stayed here after leaving New York and then New Orleans.Jennifer at reception was wonderful and pleasant and could not be more helpful.Shelly who ran the Breakfast area did a great job also. All in all this was probably the cleanest room we stayed in including the upper west side New York motel although odd pillows :) but really represented great value for money in this lovely town.
This is late, but better now than never. Myself and two other friends traveled to Louisiana late October this year for Grambling State's homecoming. Our Check-in and Check out was very seamless and easy. Jennifer, the Front Desk Manager, was very helpful. She had a great attitude, and made us feel welcomed. Jennifer and the other staff member who was a guy(sorry I don't remember the name) was very funny and helpful as well! The rooms were nice and clean. I have a pet-peeve about bathrooms, however, it was very clean. In the past, I have stayed at Hotels that have good reputations online, however, they were horrible, Best Western was great. The price was reasonable, considering several hotels were increasing rates due to Homecoming. I commend the housekeeping staff. Overall, I would recommend anyone to stay here.
This hotel is a value. It's close to shopping and restaurants. The hotel is clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Jennifer at the front desk always had a smile on her face and was very helpful with our reservation.
This was the best hotel I've been to thus far! The people there are awesome especially the receptionist miss Jennifer and the housekeeper Shelley. They're really good people who would have you rotfl! I'd definately advise any and everyone to come here! Keep up the good work Best Western!
Good place to stay clean and friendly .Rooms were clean and bath in good shape swell as towels thick and fluffy. Let us park our motorcycles under entry way due to rain, very accommodating to customers .
We were in West Monroe late and needed a place to stay so we checked into the Best Western. We checked in about midnight but made reservations on their website a couple hours earlier. Check in was easy and quick. The room was clean and looked inviting. The only complaint was the bed, it was too hard so not very comfortable. The breakfast was good, but typical for these class of hotels; unusual though they had a pancake maker which was rather awesome. We asked for a late checkout and they said no problem. The staff was excellent.
Absolutely enjoyed the staff. Fun caring and considerate. They made all the difference. It was a nice hotel. Shelley handled the breakfast. Clean neat and well stocked. Almost thought we were the first ones there it was so spotless. Plus Jennifer at the front desk was fun and kind. She and Shelley made all the difference. Definitely will stay there again if in the area.
This Best Western was very clean. Decent sized pool and they had out some toys for the kiddos to play with. I would definitely stay here again. Breakfast was really nice as well. Plenty to choose from!
Checked into this hotel based on the positive reviews. Staff was great! Rooms were nice and spacious. I was on a business trip and most of my work required my laptop. Wifi was very good. At breakfast there was a variety to choose from. I especially like waffles and the toppings they offered. If my work brings me back to this town, I will definitely stay here!
We were in Monroe for my grandson's baseball tournament. Shelley helped us with a tray so we could carry breakfast back to the room since we were running late for a ballgame. Our experience was all good, no problems.
this is a clean and nice place to stay. all of the front desk people Jennifer , Jason, Jordon are very kind and will take care of all your needs I really like the breakfeast person Shelly she keep tables and area very well cleaned while I was eating and ask if I needed anything that will get you a great start for your day This is a great place stay you get all the stars *******************
I always have high expectations of Best Western, this property did not disappoint. Jason, Jennifer, and Jordan are quality employees that make the guests feel welcome. There were two Best Westerns to choose from in Monroe. The reviews were about the same, but when I found out that one of the properties allowed smoking in the rooms, I decided to go with the smoke free property.
very good and quite. Will stay here on my next business trip. Very clean. Several places close by to eat .Room are large with plenty of room. TV channels are good. This hotel is close to the instate. A nice pool. Very friendly staff.
Although I live within driving distance from my home, hubby and I often steal a way for a night or two. Clean rooms, semi secluded, and then there is Jennifer at the front desk! She definitely makes you feel at home.
Short overnight stay in west Monroe LA. Jennifer at the front desk made us feel at home as soon as we walked in. The property is meticulously kept and the room was well appointed. In this price range you'd be hard pressed to get a better value or have a better experience.
Very nice and clean hotel in the West Monroe area. The hotel is located in a very good place with restaurants close by. I stay at this hotel quite often on business. have never had any kind of problems.
We stayed for two nights at this hotel in West Monroe. The rooms were clean, decently priced, and the front desk staff was great, especially Jennifer and Jordan! They were very helpful and so nice. The hotel had a wonderful complimentary breakfast each morning as well. We highly recommend this hotel!
I booked online a non-smoking room with two queen beds. Because of traveling I checked in about 9 p.m. Immediately after entering the room we noticed a very heavy cigarette smell in it although it was deodorized with some air refresher. Then I went back to receptionist to ask another non-smoking room. She said that they don't have another non-smoking room with two queen beds and I have to leave. I become so upset because I was very tired and needed to search another hotel for the night for me and my family. It's not acceptable for an expensive hotel with so many positive reviews.
I was totally pleased with the staff (Jordan) and the hotel room! My room was perfect for an overnight stay. It had everything I needed for comfort! Wish I could have stayed longer! So glad I made my reservation here!! I know where I will stay in the future!! :)
I was traveling early one morning for work, when I suddenly came down with stomach bug and couldn't go anymore. I managed to make it to this hotel parking lot a employee found me out side checked on me went in and got everything tended to by the time I could make it to the door. Ms. Jenifer was AMAZING!!!! she was truly concerned and offered any assistance she could. she made sure I had fluids, sent me to my room with yogurt for later, asked to she need to contact my office, told me to rest and she would be checking in on me. it was like being sick at home with the people who care for you. sorry so late getting around to this but it's an experience I will never forget. Best western will definitely be getting my business when I'm in the area. ( and its bc of Jenifer ) hate you weren't there the next morning to thank you person, I truly do appreciate you! GOD Bless you!
Great experience! After driving all day, check in was a breeze; Staff member Jennifer Ann was very professional, friendly, and pleasant. Her sense of humor and wit was amazing! The room was clean and already cooled down with the AC, the hotel was quiet; all lending to a great experience.
The room was clean and comfortable. Checkin with Jennifer was very pleasant. The beds were comfortable. I liked having a ceiling fan in the room. Spent a good bit of time reading under the roof of the shelter by the pool. Overall a very pleasant stay.
The staff is very friendly. The bed is very uncomfortable. My husband has a bad back but I didn't until sleeping in this. The water was brown and gave irritation to my daughter and I both, which led to medication and an infection. Around the hotel smelled like sewer so bad that we couldn't stand outside and it came in thru the air conditioner. The breakfast had ants crawling around and the rolls were hard and the bacon tasted old.
I've stayed in this motel several times. It is convenient, clean and comfortable, but what stands out the most to me is the staff. They have always been friendly, helpful and professional. My stay 1 week ago was no exception, with a wonderful lady named Jennifer at the front desk. I was having a telephone problem and she went out of her way to help me resolve the issue. She was happy, extremely helpful and at the same time very professional acting. What a great asset for this motel!
Hotel was close to DR's ofc, restaurants, gas station, which was great. While my child, 10 yr old was swimming she cut her foot on an object, pulled it out and it was a box cutter blade. It was turned in to the desk clerk who offered no apology or reason. This could have been bad had her cut been deeper or gotten infected. There was a girl's baseball tournament going on and considering the ppl, the room was quiet.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were ready to go out & eat dinner. Jason was our desk clerk at that time. We asked him where is the best place to eat local foods. He suggested Trapp's on the river to eat catfish. Boy, was he right. The food was delicious. I like to also say that we loved his personality too. Breakfast was delicious & the food kept coming thanks to Shelley. She was very friendly & worked hard to make your breakfast enjoyable.
Previously, I had stayed at this Best Western location and had not been very satisfied; however, when my husband and I, along with three of our grandchildren planned a trip to West Monroe, I decided to give them another chance. I am so glad I did. Jennifer was at the front desk. She was not only efficient, she was helpful and extremely friendly. She made us feel like she really cared whether or not we enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was excellently prepared and presented. Sofa bed was not very comfortable to sleep on, but that is not unusual. I gave them a second chance to make a good impression and they succeeded. Will definitely stay on my next trip to Monroe.
Room clean, comfortable. Stayed on ground floor, slept well, no noise to keep me up. Great breakfast. Staff extremely helpful, if they didn't know they asked. Jennifer at front desk exceptional employee. I prefer a room with an office entrance.
Dana, along with the rest of the staff was very caring and answered any question i had about the area. The property is a bit older but the rooms are very clean! Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. The breakfast attendant, was kind and helpful. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. Thanks again to Dana and staff.
The staff at this Best Western was exceptional. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. We were very, very comfortable here. The rooms were clean, comfy, and big. We used the pool and had the free breakfast every morning. It was a very nice stay.
I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting West Monroe. The staff is amazing. I had the pleasure of talking to Jennifer when I made my reservations. She was so kind and helpful, and I knew I had made the right choice in hotels. I got the pleasure of meeting her, and she is a lovely person. Jason, Jordan and Alex are also fantastic people who made sure we were comfortable, and that our stay was enjoyable. I was very impressed with the young lady who was in charge of breakfast. She was always smiling, and she made sure there was plenty of food for everyone. The lady in charge of cleaning our rooms made sure we had plenty of supplies for our stay. We were there two days, and not once did we encounter a hateful employee. They were all genuinely cheerful and ready to make sure we were taken care of. The rooms, pool, and dining room were kept clean at all times. Every aspect of our stay was positive. Other hotels need to take lessons from the Best Western in West Monroe.
Jason and Jordan rock. Very helpful and professional. Housekeeping was friendly. Shelly in breakfast was also on top but f things. Making sure we all had what we needed. Pull out beds weren't very comfortable but the little girls were fine sleeping on it
the staff was very friendly and amazing. Especially Jennifer :). My room was mixed up and I thought I would not receive the room that I originally wanted. She assured me that she had an opening and got me booked with no hesitations. She was very friendly and warm. Our room was spotless and we slept amazing. The bathroom was very clean as well.
Jennifer and the rest of the staff was awesome and very friendly and was quick to get what extra things need for our room. and the breakfast is good. The rooms are nice and clean, could use a little update. Bed was a little to hard for me. But it was a good stay.
My boyfriend and I are moving to Colorado from Orlando, Florida, and we had to stop off in Mississippi to rest for the night. When we arrived at our hotel, the first thing we wanted to do was take a shower, but the shower had no faucet to turn on the water. We were moved rooms and the next room didn't have a faucet either. We moved for a third time and the room was trashed and not clean as well. Not only were we annoyed because of the issues from the rooms, the area the hotel was in was not the greatest and we honestly didn't feel safe for leaving our car parked there overnight with all of our personal belongings packed in the car. We immediately left due to bad vibes we felt from being there and got issued a refund. After calling multiple hotels, and dealing with rude hotel guest service employees, Jennifer answered the phone from the Best Western West Monroe Inn and told us that there was availability, and she could book us a room with no problem. She was our angel and saving grace for the night. As soon as we arrived, she ensured us that we were safe and that if we didn't feel safe parking our car in the normal parking lot, we could park it underneath the cover in the front where someone could watch it for us. She treated us like we were her own family and made sure that we were taken care of. We appreciate her and her willing to help us so much! Not only was Jennifer an amazing employee that gave EXCELLENT customer service, the room was in tip top condition. There wasn't an ounce of dirt anywhere and it was very spacious. When we woke up the next morning, room service was at our door asking if we needed anything. Overall, we had an AMAZING experience here despite how exhausted we both were from driving literally all day and all night. I wish I could rate this hotel and their employees with 10 stars! Thank you Jennifer and Best Western West Monroe Inn!
Had a great stay ! The rooms were nice ,clean, and accommodating .pool area was nice although could use another gazebo for shade .staff were friendly and helpful especially Jennifer at the front desk her friendly upbeat personality along with her knowledge of the job and willingness to help made this a great stay ! Will return!
I've been coming to west Monroe/Monroe area for the last 4 years on business and I try to mix some pleasure into my trips by bringing along my husband. We've stayed at almost all of the nearby hotels, and we are delighted to have found our permanent home away from home here at bw inn west Monroe!!!! Jennifer was only the first of many employees here who have become like family to us. She is always attentive to my needs, gets me checked in early if need be, and I especially commend the highly effective way she communicates with housekeeping to make sure wr all all on the same page with my needs as well as her needs such as when we need them to stop what they arw doing to go clean a particular room we need to check into early! It's reassuring to see her work that this hotel truly makes the guests needs their priority over what is most convenient for them. Everytime I interact with Jennifer or Alex or anyone else here including the owner, I think about how they are actually doing all the little things that I I wish the employees and owners of other hotels would do!! Even when I got in trouble.by the owner for smoking in the room on my first stay here, he did it in such a tactful, respectful, and considerate way that I actually felt really bad for my actions and wanted to make it up.to him for his loss BC he couldn't rent the room out for days. Hopefully, I've made it up to him now that I've followed all the rules while I stayed here over a dozen nights in the last month!!!! I concur that it's a little.pricey to stay here, but I don't mind paying for friendly employees and impeccable housekeeping like the lady from new orleans and Brittney! Small pillows and not so soft towels are my only complaint but I'm sure the owner already has plans to purchase more plush and bigger pillows and higher quality towels to better match the high quality of his hotel!!! Kudos to all of u at bw west Monroe.
Well last year i said i was done here with this hotel but because of my 250K BW points i decided to stay here one more time and brought my family with me to swim while I worked. The staff is great, hotel is clean but the 114.00 room after fees and tax is where I made my chioce. This is a 69.00 a night motor lodge. IT IS NOT up to todays BW standards. The room is tiny and the bathroom so small you feel claustrophobic. The bed was hard with a noisy plastic pad over it.... the pillows were so small and wore out we went and bought 3 pillows from walmart. The breakfast was... well at least they now serve community coffee. Again the staff is great and the room clean. My problem is the price DOES NOT MATCH THE PRODUCT. I would understand this at the 75 dollar after taxes range... SO bottom line is I will drive to Ruston to the new BWPlus there for almost the same price. I haye change but it is time. Thank you BW Monroe Inn for 15 years serving me when im in Monroe area.
A nice Best Western location with fairly easy access to I-20. The rooms are typical and very clean. The breakfast with the usual scrabbled eggs, sausage, breads, and a waffle maker but seating is somewhat limited. We have stayed here on three different occasions because of the access to dining and shopping. The entrances to the rooms are outside and there is a lot of parking. Being able to park right in front of the door makes it very easy to unload and then load back up in the morning. A real plus is the nice gas station next door with very reasonable gas prices. It makes it easy to gas up to continue the trip.
Complained about slow internet, 40k download, was told it was not motels fault, then at checkout was told that there had been no problem with internet. At breakfast both days guest had long waits for food while apparent non guest helped themselves to large amount of the food as it came out. This happened both days of our stay.
My family and I traveled a long way to visit ULM to get me enrolled. We stayed at this amazing place for 3 nights. We were excited to see the duck commander guys portraits in the lobby. This guy Alex at the desk made my family have a very comfortable stay. He has very good knowledge about the places around ULM & he also guided us to the duck commander warehouse. The room was spacious we also used the pullout bed which came is handy for an extra person. My family will definitely stay here every time they visit.
I was in west monroe for the family weekend gathering. This place is our first option cause we stayed here before & really enjoyed it. The rooms are very clean & non smoking. Their breakfast is really good & the front desk employees are really friendly. We wanted a room next to the pool & that's what we got. Alex from the team helped us with offering local coupons for food delivery. Such an amazing place to come back & stay again.
Everything was excellent! Jennifer at the front desk went out of her way to get me in my room early. Cery Caring and Nice person!! They care about making your stay comfortable and easy ... Loved it and will return!! Location is AWESOME!!! 1000 star rating from me!!
Courteous and helpful staff. Called to let me know I'd left some personal items behind in my room. Thank you! Room 118 had NO cigarette odor and NO heavy perfume to cover up cigarette odor. That right there is worth the price of admission. A clean spacious room with plenty of WiFi bandwidth was icing on the cake. I'll be back to West Monroe on business and will stay here again.
Our check was great' even though it was 2 am. Jordin was great and helped make us feel very comfortable. We were provided 2 separate rooms for our family and we felt very safe and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good too.
Our check in was great. Jennifer was personable and friendly. She gave us her full attention at checkin, which I also observed her doing for others. The rooms were clean and adequately furnished. Breakfast was also provided.
We visited the Best Western in West Monroe for a Family Reunion and received excellent service they were very friendly and seemed like part of the family I highly recommend this establishment! We will definitely be back!
I have stayed here many times, the amenities, and close proximity to restaurants , coupled with a friendly and courteous staff make it my only choice when staying in west monroe! They make my work travels stress free!!
If you are on vacation, find a better place. This is for emergency stay. If you are looking for a price cut because of age of hotel, not here. Prices need to be lower to reflect age of rooms and decor and working condition of facilities, Staff was extremely pleasant. Maybe they should work at a more upscale hotel instead of a little motel like this. I stayed here because it was close to a fam home where I had funeral to attend.
We stayed for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and always helpful. Jason at check in was awesome. Very friendly and eager to help. Sheila who tended the breakfast buffet was wonderful. She was diligent in keeping food on the buffet and always making sure everyone was satisfied. Our only complaints were that the towels weren't very soft and the shower head was too low for my husband but other than these couple of things, our stay was great! We would definitely stay here again!
I came for the New Music on the Bayou summer festival and felt very welcomed by Jason, Jennifer, Keisha, and the whole staff. The lobby, especially during breakfast, was always friendly and personal. I had the same experience last year and was happy to return!
Arrived about an hour prior to check in yesterday and was told our room wasn't ready but they would call when it was; absolutely no big deal. We went about doing other things on our list but never received a call. About 1.5 hrs after check in time I called and was told the room would be ready by the time we got there. We went back and checked in without issue. Upon entry to the room we found it to appear to be clean and well appointed for the price point. However we noticed there was no bedding for the pull out (king suite) and there was only 2 towels and 4 of us. Kids jumped in the pool and I went down to get bedding and towels. Front desk seemed confused by why would need extras but provided them. The bedding for the pull out had an incredible amount of soap residue on it but I didn't feel like going down there and bothering them again so we made it work. Sheet in the room says pool closes at 9 and we had a room right in front of the pool. Kiddos were out in plenty of time and then some adults took over. The music was so loud we couldn't hear our tv over it or their laughing. Finally gave in and called the front desk to complain and was told they would handle it. 45 minutes later the party was still going strong so my husband just went and stood at the window until they realized we were watching them and the party wrapped up shortly after. Kids fall asleep and both husband and I are saying man we are itchy in bed, but no visible bugs so we go to bed. First thing this morning a huge cock roach runs across my foot. Yup we are done. Front desk was nice as always when we checked out and simply said "I'm sorry, baby" when there is mention of issues. Sorry doesn't cut it this time.
After a long day of driving through horrible storms, I just pulled in to this property due to its proximity to the interstate, I was exhausted and just wanted to get some rest. As I walked up to the counter to inquire about availability, THE PERFECT GENTLEMAN, ALEX, welcomed me, checked me in, and offered to take my luggage to the room for me. Wow, how often does that happen? Later that evening, I called the front desk to inquire about restaurants, etc., and he brought me several papers with information about the city. He was absolutely amazing, courteous, helpful. My room was also very nice, clean, quiet, comfortable. Price was reasonable, and although I didn't have breakfast in the lobby, I understand there were quite a few options for guests. I had the opportunity to meet several housekeepers as I was preparing to leave, and they were just as friendly as Alex, and really seemed to be proud of the quality of their work. Bottom line, I had the overall experience that the Best Western West Monroe Inn is run by people who enjoy their place of work and want to make all guests feel very welcomed and satisfied.
Jennifer was helpful and kind. Very friendly staff. Will stay there again!! Restaurants close by. Right off interstate which was very convenient. The room was clean and the best was comfortable. Nice area.
Stayed here one night on our way to visit friends. Room was clean, service very courteous. Breakfast was a nice mix of hot and cold items. Would definitely stay here again. Note: star rating is a reflection of the hotels success as a stop over a place to stay. It doesn't profess to be a resort or offer luxury accommodations- but it is excellent for a good nights rest.
Ms. Jennifer was extremely helpful. We drove from Florida and got to the hotel a few hours before check in and she noticed that we appeared tired. She asked management to see if we could get in the room earlier. She was polite and answered all our questions about the area. She was very professional and knowledgeable of the local restaurants and entertainment. My players and I will be staying here next year for our basketball tournament. cbballers.com
Best Western should be proud! Jennifer knows and understands excellent customer service! Room is excellent and the amenities are good. Easy access from I20! Count on me staying again! My Harley Owners Group Platinum Discount made the rates even more affordable. All in all, excellent value.
Loved the lady Jennifer at front desk. Great guest service skills. Place was really nice and clean. Great place to stay while doing business. Will come back when we are working in Funroe. Thanks Jennifer! Chase Ducote Chase Communications
I've stayed at this BW many times of the years. It provides consistent quality at a low price. It's the best value stay at this Thomas Road location, where there are many alternatives to choose from. The rooms are always clean and nice. The breakfast area is always well attended and maintained.
The minute we entered the office to register, Alex went the extra mile to accommodate our every wish. Traveling on the road and not having solid overnight plans that day, we had made the reservation on our iPad while we were movin' on down the road. As we have some physical challenges, we were overjoyed when Alex found us a room on the ground floor. He did everything within his power to provide us a comfortable, relaxing stay. The pool was clean and well kept, the room spacious, and we liked the pillows. The next morning at the "complimentary" breakfast, the lady working the dining area was non-stop helpful and cheerful, and as one of us is gluten free, she took the time to inform us of all their gluten free offerings. With the variety of competing hotels out there, we find it's the people that make the difference. Alex and the breakfast lady, and everyone we dealt with during our short one night stay, solidified the fact we will definitely stay there again when our plans call for lodging near West Monroe.
My stay made me feel right at home. The workers were very polite even in the mornings. The managers were open to have conversation outside of business. Very welcoming. Ms. Shelia was the first person my family and i met before checking in and my grandmother said " She was the nicest lady i've met at hotel in years. " Ms. Jennifier was a welcoming manager and handling the hotel professionally and like she would her own home. If i had to choice of where to stay i would stay at the Best Western in West Monroe all over again.
This hotel was good for a last minute trip home. All we really wanted was a clean and comfortable place to sleep and shower. It met our few expectations. Only down side was the fact that there wasn't a comforter on the bed. Jennifer was awesome.
Great rooms! Very clean and comfortable. Jennifer, the lady who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we come back to West Monroe. My only complaint was that we needed two rooms next to each other and to get that we had to go to the 2nd floor. Next time I will book earlier to get ground floor rooms. Other than that, it was a great place to stay.
I was optimistic about staying because of the hotel door being outside but the Manager made me feel safe. The Manager made sure that my room was clean and I was comfortable before purchasing the room he allowed me to see the room I would be staying in and I was pleased. Everything look brand new.
We got a great room rate from Expedia, so we decided to try it. We found the rooms to be very clean and quiet. And the breakfast was wonderful. Shelia, the breakfast manager, fixed us some yummy strawberry waffles. We would definitely stay here again. The only reason I rated it 4/5 stars is they don't take pets and we sometimes travel with our Yorkie.
The staff was wonderful, the weather was very unfavorable, they called me twice to see was I ok and was I still in route. I've Never had this kind of concerned shown in all of my years of traveling. Wonderful people!!!!!
The lady who checked us in (Jennifer) was hilarious. She made our check-in fun. My wife checked us out the next morning my wife checked us out and said the young man on the desk was just as much fun. Excellent employees.
Enjoyed our stay and the staff was very friendly. The location is convenient to the interstate. Clean and comfortable rooms. The breakfast was very good with multiple choices each day for both hot and cold items.
we love everything about this hotel , from Jennifer who checked us in , to the lady Ms.Shelia who cooked the breakfast, which was very delicious by the way. The whole staff was friendly, they even gave me a fan to help me sleep better. we will be staying again.
The hotel was clean the rooms were clean the beds worse comfortable got a really good night's sleep the bathroom was clean Haier refrigerator microwave everything worked staff was very friendly and professional overall a good stay the only problem was outside the hotel there was a stench of sewage don't know where it came from as long as you were in your room your good the walking out to go to breakfast kinda ruined your appetite
If you have to stay anywhere near Monroe, LA stay in West Monroe at this Best Western. We checked in and out of Days Inn within half an hour due to filthy conditions and unsavory people at 11pm. Frantically trying to find a better hotel we stumbled upon Best Western. Alex, at the front desk, was so friendly and helpful. We were skeptical of the safety conditions in this area and Alex allowed us to view our room before checking in and even moved his car so that we could park our 20ft uhaul and trailer directly in front of the office. He was a delight to deal with. When we woke up the next morning and went to the office to get our complimentary hot breakfast we were greeted cheerfully by Jennifer, who chatted with us and asked about our stay and future travels (we are moving across country). Check out was just as easy as check in. Jennifer was still smiling and our entire experience was "easy peasy". THANK YOU BEST WESTERN AND STAFF FOR TURNING OUR EXPERIENCE IN MONROE AROUND!!!
Jennifer with Best Western of West Monroe, La. was great with her skills. Very friendly, joked with us while she was checking us in. I would recommend this place to anyone. Room was very nice was not what we was expecting. We loved it!
Mrs Jennifer at the front desk was so awesome and amazing and kind and very sweet my stay was great and really enjoyed the new look of the room. The next time I'm looking for a hotel I'm planning on staying at a best western you guys have come long way
This place is good I loved the customer service. Jennifer was the best we love her she treated us like family. But the beds were hard there wasnt a good night sleep and blankets thin and hard. But the staff was beautiful. And the breakfast was great.
This hotel was amazing!! So nice and clean, everything was just remodeled! The huge breakfast was awesome, and the staff was incredibly friendly! Will definitely be staying here again! We loved our stay!
This hotel has just been renovated and is VERY nice. The staff was also pleasant and attentive. Alex (running the front desk) was particularly helpful and considerate. Breakfast was as good or slightly better than most I've seen at other hotel chains. Would highly recommend it.
I normally stay at the other BW in Monroe, but booked this hotel by mistake. . . .glad I did! I was assigned a very nice suite next to the pool. The room furnishings are modern and appear fairly new. The room is quite spacious and very clean and comfortable. Check was very quick and the gentleman at the front desk was most courteous. I understand that only the suites have microwaves, but they do have them available on request for other rooms. A little added bonus, they are only a couple of blocks from the famous Duck Commander shop. Would I stay here again? Absolutely without any hesitation.
I booked four rooms for my family to use while in the area for funeral services. We were all happy with the accommodations. Breakfast was free and included waffles, sausage, biscuits, gravy, orange juice, oatmeal, coffee, etc. etc. Just right. Lots of places to eat nearby and lots of retail stores, too. Jason helped me with a smooth check-out. We'll be back!
Got 2 queen rooms & it had sofa bed. Very nice room. Price was $91.75 a night. Pool looks very clean & good full breakfast. Person at front desk very nice. We will be back!! Many Resturant's on Thomas Road. Was very pleased with hotel.
This hotel was great. The newly remodeled rooms were clean and inviting. The beds were comfortable. The location was excellent with quick easy access to I-20, you are minutes from virtually anything you might want to do there. The area was safe. The staff was helpful and kind. All in all I would reccommend this place for any occasion, a get a away vacation, or even if you're just passing through.
We stayed in the honeymoon suite because it was our option between it and a handicapped room. They said it was newly remolded and it was very pretty but... impractical for "some people". The shower was a massive glass shower (with great water pressure) upon a tiled surface with 3 steps to get to. My only worry is that someone could slip and fall, a little water leaked from the left side. Yes, the water was slightly discolored but its due to the minerals in their water system. They also had a huge Jacuzzi bathtub which we didn't use. Tiny pillows, slept good and overall comfortable.
Staff was helpful when needed. No Microwave in the room. Beds were a little soft for my back. Small Bathroom. Stayed 2 nights, each night there was people barbecuing outside, they looked like crews that were working in the area, but they were quiet.
Excellent place to stay rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff (Jason) was friendly, helpful professional, and very polite. The breakfast was excellent the waffles had toppings strawberries, blueberries, and almonds, oatmeal had brown sugar, raisins, and almonds. they also had bacon, sausage, gravy, eggs, biscuts, fruit, muffins, and more. We loved this hotel which gave us a five star stay. Thanks to Jason and the rest of the staff for a excellent stay.
My family was here for a weekend get together. We were very pleased with the recently renovated hotel. The rooms were very nicely decorated, comfortable and well equipped. The lobby was inviting and a great place to gather. The hotel is surrounded by plenty of places to eat. When we arrived we were welcomed and checked-in by Jason who was very personable and professional. He provided exceptionally good service including details regarding the hotel and the surrounding area. Jason was very responsive to any questions or requests going out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. Nila made sure everyone had plenty of good food and fresh coffee, and made sure the breakfast area was clean. She greeted us with a smile and made us feel as if we were having breakfast in her home. We would definitely stay there again.
I chose this hotel based on the overall reviews. I have no complaints on my stay. The staff was great, the breakfast was good and i liked the fact that they had a variety. The person who was helping with the breakfast was very nice and courteous. The room was big and clean! I would definitely stay here again.
Staff were friendly and the room was great. There was an area with a sofa bed and TV and the king bed was comfortable. I am not exactly why the water there was brown, but I have learned that the water throughout Monroe is brown for some reason. We will be going every 2 weeks and will be staying there for sure. Easy access and there are so many places for dining and shopping near by.
Stayed overnight and were quite disappointed with the brown/yellow smelly water coming out of the faucets. After reading other reviews on travel advisor, it became apparent that this was the city water and was safe but the feeling of unclean was instilled in our heads. We couldn't get out quick enough. Many field workers were staying there and the vacation feel we were looking for was not there at all. Would STRONGLY not recommend this hotel! We will next time continue on to Shreveport.
Hotel was in the right place to get off the Highway, out of the weather and be safe. The breakfast was good. I was near the Interstate and easy to get to. Desk clerks were very curteous and it was a pleasant setting. If I pass through there again. I would stop there and enjoy going to Duck Dynasty/
The bed was slightly hard for our taste but the room and staff were way beyond my expecations. Everyone went out their way to treat us nicely and if we are ever back in West Monroe, I would definetly stay here. Thanks, Christy
Great little motel Great price Large room and bed with a segregated lounge area with a second tv. Bath room tiny though and smelly water but can't change that. I think when your local water has a sulphur smell maybe a couple of bottles of water would have been nice to brush my teeth with. But good value for money and quite comfy
Last minute reservation, Jason at the front desk was awesome! Very helpful and Friendly! Great rate, room was fresh and clean and kids loved the pool! We would recommend this location to anyone coming to the area.
we stayed her for a week during the Junior Beefmaster Breeders Association convention.. rooms were very clean and comfortable... it was close to the roadways but inside the room you didn't hear the road traffic.... staff was very helpful
I travel on a month to month basis for business and at times for leisure. I stayed at this Best Western in the past and it was okay. Now I have to say, this one made the top of my list because of a lot of much needed changes were done especially to the rooms. Everything was smooth. I was greeted by front staff and it was quick, which i liked. The room i got was a suite and it was very clean. I was able to do my work with no problems with the wifi. Breakfast was good especially those waffles. Thanks again.
I stayed here for one night to tour the Duck Dynasty spots. The outside was OK but when I stepped into the room it was like a different motel. Very nice rooms. I was comfortable and suprised to find a cieling fan which I really love when I sleep. This was a great stay and the staff was very nice. I would gladly stay here again.
Booked this from the road as we were driving across country. Pulled into the lot and saw it was a former motel and was not excited. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It had recently been renovated and looked good. As a former motel, the room was larger than more modern rooms. We had 2 Queen beds, but enough room for a love seat and table. It also had a fridge and microwave. Add in the pool and it is nice spot for a family. The downside to being a former motel is that the bathroom is small. Plenty of room at the sink, but the toilet and shower are in a very small space. Breakfast was weak - even by BW standards. Muffins were COLD and sausages were cooked through but not browned. Staff was friendly.
I recommend this Hotel for it is convenient, clean, and has a great staff. Great Breakfast as well. It has Handy Cap rooms which we have to have for the bars in the tub or walk in shower and high toilets with bars around it.
I have stayed here before and one thing i like was the consistency with the staff, they always greeted me and always had a friendly face. This time during my stay there were some new breakfast items i enjoyed, the condiments for my waffles, those were really good! Rooms were clean as usual and the pool was great! One thing i did not like was the new sign for best western. I didn't even recognize it since it blended in to everything, go back to the old one!!!! Other than that, my stay was good. Thanks again.
I had made reservations for this hotel three weeks ago using a credit card which was later hacked and I had to replace it. In the confusion, I forgot to notify the hotel. Well, the hotel calls while I am on the road and tells me the previous card will not work. So, I tell them, no problem, let me give you the new card number. Twice wife and I gave the girl the number. Twice she tells us the card is declined. We tell her we are calling the credit card company. We did, absolutely no problem with the card. Call back, three more times trying to get the number to her and to go through. No luck. AND my reservation is summarily cancelled. So, we find a place to pull off and get online and we check the card again. No problem. Now we have to find a new place to spend the night. Which we do, Holiday Inn Express in Shreveport. Use the SAME CARD to make the reservation....NOT ONE PROBLEM. Let me state this carefully so I will not be sued...It seems to me the hotel did not want to wait on my late arrival and so they cancelled my reservation in order to resell the room for a higher price. I DO NOT KNOW THIS, but when we tried to rebook the hotel, it was no longer available online. I did call Best Western Rewards and filed a complaint, however I was told on the phone there was nothing they could do. There is something I can do....I cancelled the other reservation made for this hotel for my return trip. I will take my business elsewhere. It may not make a difference in the scheme of the universe, but I will feel better. I have used Best Western for many years and it is sad that this would happen. We even asked for a manager and were told he had check their machine and it was working fine, but we could not actually speak to them. Something in the back of my mind says I stayed here a few years ago and wrote a very nice review. Well, it has changed and not for the better. This happened Saturday, July 9, 2016 at about 4 in the afternoon CDT.
Nice easy and affordable. Clean but the breakfast lacked. I booked online and did not receive the rewards for Best Western. The parking was okay and easy to get in but a little hard to get out. Rooms were fine and clean with all the extras you would expect. The breakfast was blah but maybe I was expecting to much. The sausage was steamed and looked bad and the gravy was jelled. It is located in a good area for me and I will stay there again.
This is a very nice hotel and great location. We enjoyed the breakfast and hours available. Our room was spacious , clean and comfortable. Alex, customer service was excellent, he took care of us.I will keep this hotel in mind when I return to Monroe/West Monroe, LA.
I stayed one night. Was nice and would stay again. The only funny thing I have to say is the hair dryer in the room looked like it was from the 70's. LOL. Didn't use it though.. Was right off the Hwy, and next to the Waffle House if you don't want to eat the breakfast.
The room was clean with everything working. The location was very convenient providing easy access to food, shopping, and fuel. The amenities included: free breakfast, free wifi, ceiling fan, refrigerator and an outdoor pool. I am unable to comment on any since I did not use any of either. Also the clerk was very helpful in providing customer service. A quiet and safe stay to be replenished.
Perfect place to stay when we visited Duck Commander for the Faith, Family and Fireworks celebration. Room was clean and quiet for a good night's sleep. Check in and check out was easy and quick. We would definitely choose this hotel again.
The room was clean but not as impressive as other hotels we have stayed in. The charge was higher than the other Best Westerns we slept in on this vacation and previous get aways. Staff was friendly but seemed a bit rushed. Breakfast bar was small and unimpressive. Would probably not stay there again
Our house flooded this year. Thousands of us trying to rebuild. This past week; we hit the wall. We really needed a staycation. We reserved a suite and I was truly impressed when we checked in. We were able to check in early and the key pad touch card was super easy to get in and out. Brand new sleeper sofa and flat screen in the seating area. Black and chrome desk chair and a central culinary center greeted us. Fridge, microwave, plenty of storage and a beautiful new bed. The carpet was fresh, pillows fluffed and you could tell that the staff cared about the details. The remote control sanitized and placed in a little cover. If you live in the south; you love a ceiling fan. It was a treat! The pool was Salt Water treated and never had a strong chemical smell. Plenty of pool furniture and a great location tucked away right off the interstate. I travel frequently and you can tell when a place is managed and when a place is owned. The breakfast staff, owners, front desk, and housekeeping made us feel at home. After all; that is what a hotel should be. 24 hours of you feeling at home.
Jason - the front desk guy was exceptional. He went above and beyond to help me out with some business that I had to have done that day. He continually worked with me in order to get my stuff taken care of.
I stayed in two other Best Western hotels--my go-to for many years--during this same trip and both were better values. Hotel policy to charge additional $150, if you want to pay bill in cash. And "non-smoking" room smelled like cigarette smoke. Otherwise, the room was good (except for the cigarette smell), the bed comfortable, breakfast good and well served.
I stopped to get a room llast week at this property. Although they were completely booked up due to a large athletic competition, the front desk clerk on duty, Jason, was exceptionally helpful, friendly, professional, and a great representative for the motel and for Best Western. He took time to call other properties in the area until he found a room for me. I am in the W. Monroe area fairly often, and because of Jason, I will always stay at the Best Western there.
Hubby and did a little site seeing after dropping son off at SAU for football camp. Traveled to W Monroe after eating at Duck Diner we decided to get lodging and all the motels were full except BW. All they had left was a king size bed costing over 109.00 a night. Hubby told the check in clerk what we could spend and we got the room for much much less. Room size was nice and big. Bed was comfy. The only issues we had was that they had small pillows and the alarm clock kept making noice like it was on the frits. Otherwise a nice place to stay.
My 10 year old son really wanted to visit West Monroe to go to the Duck Dynasty warehouse, he is a big fan of the show. I choose this hotel because of it's close proximity to the warehouse (just down the street). It was also right next door to the doughnut shop the Duck Dynasty guys frequent. The hotel was nice and clean. Has exterior doors and a nice swimming pool area. We didn't have the free breakfast since we decided to hit the doughnut shop next door:) Would stay here again if in the area.
Comfortable and clean accommodations. Beds were comfortable and the shower was hot with good water pressure. Nice hot breakfast. Left feeling well rested and refreshed. Staff was friendly. Nila and Alex were great. Would happily stay here again on our way through town.
Room was clean and comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was adequate but they ran out of waffle mix at the time I was ready to eat. Check-in seemed to take an inordinately long time. There were no problems with noise from neighbors or street noise.
My friend got married in this town. It was fairly priced. The rooms were clean. They had a good breakfast selection in the mornings. The food was fresh. The pool was cold but it's ok. The location was convenient for us as its close to restaurants and the highway.
All the staff is friendly, the room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean and the breakfast was good. If you plan to visit, it is about 1/4 mile from Duck Dynasty Store and Willies Duck Diner.
I really liked my stay here and the people were great. The front desk clerk were polite and efficient when i checked in and out. What i liked most about this hotel was their rooms were big and updated and the breakfast was enjoyable! I will be back again.
I was in town for a show and had lost some lyrics for new covers my band was doing. I knew them ok but didn't wanna forget during the show. When a previous customer had jammed the provided printer in the lobby, Alex allowed me to email him the materials I needed and he printed them out on his printer. He didn't have to help and he went far beyond anything I'd expect from hotel customer service representatives and that's saying a lot. I fully recommend this clean spacious hotel. Mark Dodson
The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants. It was a great place to stay as it was close to the places we wanted to visit. We were very satisfied with our stay.
It's hard to get 5 stars out of me, but this place is a solid 4. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Great location if you're in the area to visit Duck Commander or eat at Willie's Duck Diner. Very clean, comfy beds. Good pillow choices on your bed. Water pressure was a little lacking for me and a little soft. Don't hesitate to book!
We needed several rooms for our disaster relief team. When the online site stated there were not enough rooms, Crystal went above and beyond the call of duty to secure the rooms for us. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and breakfast was great! There was a crew painting the outside of the hotel giving it a fresh new look.
He gave prompt and very kind service. This dude really deserves a raise. We asked for a sheet and he went out of his way to find us a blanket. An extremely kind man with an extremely welcoming attitude. Best front desk worker I have ever dealt with.
I will begin by reporting the positives about this motel; then I will discuss why I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this motel again. The rooms are very nice and roomy. Our room was very clean. We had two beds, as well as a fold out couch and our baby still had plenty of room to run around. The rooms were attractive and modern. In fact, we travel a great deal and this is one of the nicest rooms we have had. The only complaint I have about the room itself is what they call a queen bed is definitely not a queen, but rather a full. Also, we all hated the tiny pillows. Each bed had four pillows, but they were half sized pillows Now I will report why I would NEVER recommend this motel to anyone. I called in late January to reserve a room for the night of March 15. Within a few days, my husband and I decided to call to book the room for an additional night. My husband witnessed the fact that I called to add an additional night. Also, I spoke to the same guy who completed my original reservation. He even gave me a confirmation number, which was identical to my original confirmation number. It was getting late when we arrived at the motel. My husband ran in, gave him his credit card, and paid the amount without question. The next morning we left to explore the town. When we returned in the early afternoon, our key card did not work. We went to the front desk, where we were told that we reserved the room for one night. I reported that my husband witnessed the fact that I had extended the reservation, I talked to the same man who did my original reservation, and I had a confirmation number. The attendant told me that we could have the same room, but on top of the $109. 38 we originally agreed to and we had paid for the previous night, we would have to pay an additional $10 plus tax because the last 10 rooms cost an additional $10. WHAT KIND OF CROOKED POLICY IS THAT?! Anyhow, I politely told her this displayed poor customer service and I planned to write a review, but I would pay the amount because I could not lose the room. After the attendant realized that I planned to write a poor review, she found a manager. The manager was very polite. Yet, he told us they may not have a room for us, but they were willing to call around to find us another room. Again, I was polite, although I was thoroughly annoyed. HOW ON EARTH COULD SHE HAVE GIVEN ME THE ROOM FOR THE NIGHT AT $10 ADDITIONAL CHARGE, BUT NOW ALL OF THE SUDDEN THERE MAY NOT BE A ROOM FOR US? After making all the points in which I have already reported here, the manager told the attendant to switch room reservations around to make sure that we could keep our original room. This being said, it was obvious that the staff was annoyed, even though we had done nothing wrong. In the end, we were given the same room we had reserved for two nights, but we were required to pay $119.64, even though we reserved the room for $109.38. I HAVE THREE STRONG POINTS OF CRITICISM. FIRST, no one should have been annoyed with us because the mistake was on their end. SECOND, we should not have had to pay more than we made the reservation for. THIRD, charging $10 extra dollars for the last three rooms is a crooked policy. This is some of the absolute worst costumer service I have ever received, which is why this is the worst review I have ever left. IN SHORT, I ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL!!!!!!! I recognize that people make mistakes. If they would have acknowledged a mistake was made and given us the same room for the original price, I would have written a very positive review. I suspect management will respond in order to refute or downplay my claims. But, I assure you that my entire review is 100% true and I was at no point disrespectful. Yet, I do think it is only fair to point out that the manager may not have been fully aware of how the attendant handled the situation.
We stayed here for 2 nights while we were there for Cajun Nationals!!! Rooms were very clean and the staff was very helpful! The complimentary breakfast was good !! If you have any handicaps ask for the bottom floor it's a older hotel and there is no elevator!!!
This motel offers a nice clean stay with a great friendly staff. The rooms are well kept it offers a nicely kept pool. The area offers many great restaurants and things to do. It is home to Duck Dynasty as well!!!
stayed at this motel this weekend with a group of 20 people. we had 5 rooms and everyone of us was very disappointed with the hotel and the staff. mydebit card was charged well over 500.00 when it shouldn't have been charged but for about 205.00. our room was quoted at 89.00 a night and when we got there they informed us that they could not honor their quote and so they added 10.00 per room. the lady i have been dealing with to get my money back is a rude woman that isnt interested at all in helping their customers. parking sucked due to renovations
Picked because of convenient location to our drive path, this hotel was a very comfortable overnight stop. Renovation is underway, but did not become bothersome while we were there. We loved the room layout.
we recently came and stayed here. It was a very nice hotel and the rooms was extremely clean. me and my boyfriend will stay again! Breakfast was awesome and all. swimming pool looked nice but definitely too cold for that.
The rooms are not bad if you are stopping to rest for the night. If you are staying on business, then maybe this place isn't for you. The wireless internet was very intermittent, which made it very difficult to work by computer. I was also disappointed with the tiny bathrooms. I literally had to step into the shower to be able to close the bathroom door.
Value for the money. All the amenities that are required for comfort. Functional not world class. All rooms enter from outside building. Front ground floor rooms are adjacent to pool and could be nosy in the summer. Good breakfast.
For me 4 means definitely would stay again. To get a 5, an exceptional, over and above feature is needed. The staff was good, Chad made a special first impression. The only downside to the room was too hard pillows until we realized that there were choices not just one. When turning into the property (from the nearby interstate) there needs to a better way to enter. The turn is just past the stoplight and not real safe, so beware.
When I walked in the lobby it was clean and very festive. We stayed on the first floor next to the stairs, I was very surprised the noise level was minimal. The room was easy to find and very clean. Only downside the bathroom was very tiny. Above all the stay was great.
First & foremost,Chad at the front desk was very friendly & knowledgeable. Check-in was quick & stress free, rooms were clean & well kept,as well as the pool & outside grounds. Any type of food you desire,is also within walking distance. Will definitely be staying here next time I'm n town...
Came into town for the AG expo. We looked at the tripadvisor reviews before booking. This hotel had above average reviews so decided to try it out. Rooms were very spacious and the staff we encountered were friendly. Breakfast was really good especially the strawberry waffles. They also had oatmeal, cereal, eggs, sausage, yogurt, fruit and several other items. We will definitely return to this hotel next time around.
Chad the young man at the front desk had a great attitude. A breath of fresh air after a long drive from Arkansas. He was quick an very helpful. Just because if his warm welcome i would stay here everytime my company is in town. A great location with beautiful rooms.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western. We were in town for the Frank Foster concert. Excellent staff! Rooms were great. Breakfast was wonderful especially the lady who worked there. Only downfall was we had a little bit of trouble finding the hotel entrance. We called the hotel and the desk clerk was very helpful in guiding us. Would definitely come back to this hotel. Thanks Best Western and West Monroe!!
While driving south from our home in Ontario Canada to Tuscon Arizona last month we were held up coming into Memphis which meant we would not be able to make our reserved hotels in Louisiana and Texas. We hesitated making reservations for our road trip as we were aware of the problems we might have if we needed to make changes or cancel reservations, but it was the week before Christmas. The fine print states that, Best Western hotels require 24 hour advance notice of any cancellations. We called and notified the Best Western Hotel in West Monroe LA that we would not be making our Dec 22 reservation and asked that they cancel it for us. We were told that making the cancellation would not be a problem, when we asked for a confirmation number non was given, and unfortunately, we no longer have the name of the person who took our call. A week ago we found that our Visa card had been billed for the full amount of the room ($97.00) and we called to inquire. Crystal at the desk was most courteous and said she would check into the situation and get back to us (we requested and email). Her email, telling us that he charges would not be removed, arrived the following morning. After making several calls asking for the manager (Mr. PATEL), or the "customer service person (Dana), we received another email from Crystal saying how sorry she was, that she understood our concern but it was Mr. Patel's policy to NOT cancel reservations made by telephone - especially reservations booked through Best Westerns main reservations desk. Be warned!
The rooms were spacious and clean, and the front counter staff were very pleasant! The hot breakfast was plentiful and delicious! We were treated like family! Also, it was just a two minute drive down the road to see the Duck Commander store and warehouse! We will be back!
Not Best Western's fault, but the family with several rambunctious children made our night miserable. Our room was located next to the stair well. The kids ran up and down, and up and down,so much I called the office twice. The lady was very sweet. She called the family twice, but the second time told them that other occupants were complaining also. The room was clean and comfortable, but was unable to bathe or fill our water bottles. Would not have stayed there if we had known about the water. The government says it's safe, she said. LOLOLOLOL,no thanks!!!
The location of this Inn is very convenient if you're wanting to eat at Willie's Duck Diner and visit the Duck Commander store. We got a room on the bottom floor and parked less than 15 feet from our room, which was nice and comfy, clean, well decorated and updated (there were some minor repair issues: bathroom door sticks, ceiling repair not completed). It was around $80/ night, which seems a little high, but the convenience of it made it worth it. I also like the sink being outside the toilet/bath room, which gives you more room and privacy. The breakfast room is a small area off the lobby and has your basic items--powdered eggs, link sausage, yogurt, instant oatmeal and grits, cold cereal, bagels, bread, mini cinnamon rolls, and 2 a make-it-yourself waffle irons. Beverages include Community coffee, orange and apple juice, milk, and water (from a water cooler as the tap water here is not good). We liked the vanilla waffle the best (the blueberry waffle mix tasted like imitation blueberry muffin mix). Unfortunately, we had loud neighbors who were watching sports on TV at a high volume late at night, so that made our experience here a little disappointing, so I recommend this Best Western with reservation.
Overall a good property. No elevator to premium room and really needed an extra blanket which was not provided. Cheap hard pillows only. Probably would select this property again and ask for a blanket but it was just too late to go back down to the office,
Reservations handled quickly and accurately. Check-in fast and efficient with room ready when we arrived. Comfortable room with sitting area and separate TV. Quiet for a chain motel. Room clean and inviting.
I stay in hotels 2-3 nights a week so I've seen a lot. Ive also become a fan of Best Westerns in general...but this one disappointed me. When I travel, I expect a few comforts. Cleanliness, a comfy bed, a tv I can see, good wifi, availability of coffee, and a decent (not necessarily fancy) breakfast. This room was clean, the bed was reasonably comfortable, and the breakfast was satisfactory. If that's all you care about, the hotel is fine. Besides that, the tv stand was broken in the past so the tv was awkwardly mounted on the wall like a cheap hotel. Obviously this was the corner cutting way to handle the situation. (I hate corner cutting, sacrificing service to save a buck). There was no coffee pot in the room. The base was there but no pot with the base. Is that stuff not checked every day? What else is being missed? The worse thing was the wifi didn't work. I can't work without wifi. I went to the front desk and inquired if they were having problems to which my reply was that hers was working just fine. That was it. I looked down at her computer and it was connected to an Ethernet cable, not wifi. This was the deal killer. I stay in Monroe once a month but I won't be back here...
Overall great experience. Rooms were clean and the staff are very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends and family. The breakfast was great. The location is good for shopping and restaurants.
Raj, the front desk man, was extremely helpful and patient, going far above what I would have expected in settling a difference between online rate on our phone and on the computer. Both were using bestwestern.com, but with different rates. The hotel was in the process of a remodel. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable.
The rooms are bigger than I expected and modern. Refrigerator, microwave, desk and 2 TVs. The ac unit was quiet and did not blow directly on the bed. The free breakfast is adequate. The staff is friendly. The WiFi was a little slow and dropped a few times in the evening. It seems ok this morning as I am writing this review. The water is discolored and is not great tasting, but it is probably like that in the whole city. The pool & pool area look nice.
Front desk man was nice. There is no elevator at this motel. This is an older motel that has newly updated rooms- carpet and furniture was nice. It's nicer than what I typically think of Best Westerns, and we only chose to stay here because of other positive reviews from Tripadvisor. The sheets need to be replaced. They are thinning. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean. Comfortable night's sleep. A little noise could be heard from the freeway, but nothing that woke us up. The sink area is in the main part of the room. The toilet/ shower area is tiny. Might stay here again or might pay a little more to stay somewhere else.
first room sink was plugged and brown water moved to second room. Second room water was also brown water and the quality is questionable. Front desk had bottle water available. to Shower and brush teeth with - go figure!!
The Best Western Wm has became my choice of hotel for the Wm/Monroe area. Super clean rooms and environment. Along with a very friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh. Made my stay as pleasant as possible. By far the best bang for the buck. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
My stay at the Best Western in West Monroe, LA is always pleasant. The rooms are clean, cozy, and nice.(Thanks to Housekeeping) Free internet and continental breakfast is always a plus. Can't forget about the front desk clerk, Jessica who is very polite, accommodating, and makes me feel like I'm "Home Away From Home".
I was in town for business and always been pleased with staying at a Best Western. This hotel was great! The staff was very nice and the rooms were very spacious and clean. I had alot of work to get done and was able to get it done peacefully, which was a plus. Definitely will stay here again.
I stay here periodically when I come in to see family. Chad at the front desk was extremely helpful. He sincerely acted like he wanted to be at work and assist me. He added my Best Western points for me and upgraded me to a suite. I didn't even ask for that but he did so. The room was extremely nice and comfortable. Really clean also. Thank you Chad, we'll be back at Christmas..
I recently stay here and compared to the last time I had stayed, which was back in July 2012, and i must say it is a BIG difference. I met the new manager and he told me what all he had done. The rooms are updated with nice looking furniture and new carpet. The big plus is all their rooms are NON SMOKING. Also, i know this hotel did not have an elevator and the only room available was upstairs, the staff went out of their way to help me out, great service. Definitely my kind of hotel!
We had a great room, very clean. Excellent amenities including free continental breakfast . The staff were very friendly and willing to help us with any concerns we had. Thank you Chad. Also this hotel is very close to the Duck Commander warehouse, only about 3 minutes away.
This place is average, not great by a long shot. Breakfast wasn't much, same thing every day for three days in a row. Water is discolored out of sink and tub ( light rusty colored) and bathroom is very small. Bed and pillows were ok, A/C didn't cool as well as it should have. Housekeeping were friendly and helpful.
This was by far one of the better Best Westerns that I've stayed at. The motel was clean inside and out. The room was pretty big. The only negative thing for me was the very small and hard pillows. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come through this area again. There is a Sonics close by. More restaurants (fast-food, etc) are on the North side of I-20.
My husband and I stayed here over night. The staff when we arrived was very nice. She greeted us with a smile and was knowledgeable about what was around town. Rooms were very clean. Housekeeping were very pleasant and greeted us when we saw them. Breakfast was excellent, love there blueberry pancakes!! Definitely will stay here again!
The room-105 was clean down stairs behind the office.Parking outside your door.Queen bed.36' flat tv.Microwave and refrigerator.Desk,ac-heat ok..Paid $63.82 total one night. No crazy people outside.Walmart across the street,Lots of fast food places to walk too...Breakfast was really nothing.Same old same old..
Very nice hotel. I would definately return. Water was aweful but not the hotels fault. Room key required resetting every day. Right down the street from Duck Commander. Located near allot of shopping and close to Downtown.
We got 3 rooms for the weekend, to visit my brother before he leaves. The staff was very nice, breakfast was hot and anytime something ran out a staff member would quickly refill the item. Very sweet and hospitable staff, making sure our stay was a good one. The manager upgraded our room to a suite and they give military discount, just call the West Monroe hotel DIRECTLY. The rooms are renovated nicely. The only thing I can complain about is the bed wasn't as comfortable as ours. Pool was kept up and the property is literally down the street from Duck Commander and close to all the restaurants including Willy's duck diner
Stayed here in August. Clean comfortable room, good beds and did not hear much outside noise. Breakfast choices were okay. As others have said hotel is very close to the Duck commander warehouse, Willies Diner and many other restaurants.
This hotel is an excellent place to stay on I-20. We often stay here on the way to Texas from Alabama. Hotel has been done over and is very clean and nice! The staff is very accommodating, and the desk clerk at check in was a model of courtesy and friendliness. We give this property a 5-star rating for the price!
Overall we were very happy with our stay. We came down with our kids after stopping for one night last winter. They wanted to hang out in West Monroe and do some fishing and hit some of the places they see on Duck Dynasty. West Monroe is a business district and there's a icky smell (don't know if it's the river or a plant), so don't be expecting country settings and plantations. The room fit my husband and I and my three 12 year old triplets nicely. The room was clean and functional. However, the bathroom was camper small! The kids didn't mind it, but my husband and I had to take turns getting the kids out of the room so we could shower and change. We also had to keep asking for towels, only two were put in the room each day, even though they knew there were five of us. It's the little stuff that when you're staying for 3 days starts to annoy you.. We had the double (2 queens) with a pull out sofa (had to go down and gets linens, none were in the room), which was hard to find, there aren't many in West Monroe or Monroe in this price range. The water felt like it had a slime to it, but it could be the chemicals, I don't know. It was okay to shower I suppose, but we used bottled water to drink. When we were in West Monroe earlier in the year I remember the Hilton 's water being the same. The outside garbage cans could stand to be emptied more than once a day in that heat. The pool (saltwater) was very nice and clean until the last day of our stay when they drained it and closed it down. I had very upset kids, and management didn't bat an eye at their distress. Rubbed me wrong. This was the only vacation we could take, and when it's 100+ degrees out in a place like West Monroe, and you're 12, swimming is the vacation. An "I'm sorry" would have gone a long way. Yet, on our second day there some wild, foul mouthed teens not staying at the hotel came to swim and management got rid of them right away, before they hit the pool. I was very grateful, as they made me very uncomfortable and I didn't want to pull my kids away from the water. This location is close to Duck Dynasty, the Louisiana Purchase Zoo, lots of restaurants (a sonic in the parking lot, bdubs and Willie's Duck Diner and 100 more right across the street) and shops, and Kiroli Park (a great place to check out if you're in the area).
